We had to stay for a nigth while on transit, the hotel is located 30 minutes away from airport. In general it was ok. We were travelling with a big group and the hotel tried to assign nearby rooms. The room was correct, bed was ok, bathroom was ok. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was nice.
I have lived in the area for 13 years. Just let me apartment go and needed a place to stay. After a bad couple of nights we left and went here. I have walked past this place at least 100 times, and never paid attention. It is nice. Clean, good service, nice restaurant. Very impressed.
The location is close to shopping, restaurants, parks and the staff is very attentive and willing to assist you with transportation, providing directions to wherever you want to go. This location is a very safe area per our Colombian family but as in any city, you need to be aware of your surroundings.
Location wise the hotel is top. Walking distance from many bars and restaurants. The service is also cool, and the rooms are quite acceptable. Basic but comfortable and functional. It's a safe bet to explore the city and find some bars and restaurants nearby.
Overall experience was good, at my stay they were working on the 7th floor and the noise was too much, the bed was really hard, and the personnel was the highest point of my stay, the food also met my expectations
I was able to have an early check in an paid for an extra half day. Reception staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included but not terribly inspiring. I booked a terraced room as I like to have outdoor space, this room wasn't ready when I checked in but I was given a lovely huge room with 2 massive opening windows, the lady on reception said that I could look at the terrace room and if I still wanted it I could have it the next day but that the room she had given me was nicer. I did see a terrace room and it looked to be surrounded by brick walls, so I kept the room I was given. I overlooked the front of the hotel, I don't like aircon so I like to have the windows open. It was noisy but i can sleep though anything so it didn't bother me, but it may not be ideal for a light sleeper. The hotel has a taxi rank next door and I think you get good rates for being at the hotel. There are lots of food and drink places very near, but it is a 30 or 40 minute drive to the centre of town. By English standards taxis and uber are very cheap so it wasn't really an issue. If I comeback to Bogota I would stay here again.
This hotel is located close to Parque 93 and tons of restaurants and bars. Despite this my room was very quiet. It was also very clean and relatively spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was good. Overall, I was very happy with this place and I would definitely recommend it.
A good hotel overall. Well located, good rooms, nice general quality. Many restaurants nearby in a nice area. Staff was quite helpful. Good sleep quality. Decent bathroom. In general is a good hotel, not amazing, but quite well located. Won't disappoint but I guess it won't amaze. Is exactly as expected.
Great location. Close to many good restaurants and the area is safe. Room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable. The only not so great aspect is the design of the bathroom. The placement of the toilet is odd. The lid falls on your back when using the toilet. I would stay here again.
Great location - very good value for the money.. The location is within walking distance of Parque 93 and there is many good restaurants in the area. Would recommend a stay here for sure. Getting a cab or an uber from the location was very easy as well.
Excelent hotel, very comfortable and with reasonable price. Breakfast was amazing. Very clean, comfortable bed. Location was also quite good, at walking distance from good restaurants, pharmacy and mall.
Everything was good, I thought the size of the room was a little bit bigger but still not a issue. The food wasn't bad but I think the hotel can have more variety, for example the same fruit the 3 days that we stayed there. The roof top was kinda cold, they should keep the heaters on all the time
We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western, as we had to leave our other hotel. Check in at 2pm was a breeze and we were able to get a room right away. Hotel staff were nice, friendly, and super helpful. In particular, the bell services staff were SUPER helpful and gave us a lot of good information. The hotel is VERY centrally located. It was just 2 blocks from Parque 93 and all the shops and restaurants. It was definitely much more centrally located than our previous hotel, and we enjoyed walking over to the shops during our stay. The beds are a bit stiff, so if you're a soft bed kind of person, you might be out of luck. Pillows were great. I did not like the rainfall shower head, but for 2 nights I could make due. Room was HUGE, which was great. Breakfast was very good - and complimentary.
Staff was very welcoming and extremely helpful in providing transportation to and from airport. Rooms were clean and spacious; breakfast was fresh and delicious. Hotel is walking distance to dining and nightlife
Excellent hotel with exceptionally helpful and courteous staff. Excellent quality and variety of food at breakfast as well as on the restaurant menu. Always a pleasure to stay at this Best Western location
Excellence services. Superb employees. Great restaurant. Clean facilities. I will continue stay at Best Western Plus 93 Park Hotel every time I visit Bogota, Colombia. I will also recommend it to my friends t because its safe, its position or situation in the part of town that accommodating an individual social and cultural needs.
I stayed in the Hotel for 3 nights, carol and Carlos, front desk and Guard/botones were very welcome and help my wife and I with our bags. Personnel were very kind and supportive all the time. We had a great experience in this hotel. Thank you. for all you did to me and my family, greatly appreciated!!
Hotel is located on an very convenient area, close to everywhere. Rooms are comfortable, clean and cozy. We only tried breakfast and it was varied and very tasty. In general I would say it is a good hotel, prices are fair and staff personnel are kind and ready to assist you when you need them.
There is an excellent service and the hotel spaces are very comfortable. I liked the food in the restaurant and the rooms have all you need when you stay there. The staff is very nice and helpful and the hotel has a good location
Everything at Best Westen is amazing. The room is super clean and cleaned very often . The receptionist are beyong polite, helpfull and always greeting you with a smile on their face. The food at the breakfast is super delicious, you can choose for various types of food. My special gratitude and my best thoughts go to a very nice and polite mister serving breakfast ( 10-22.05.2021).Always helpful ,always smiling and nice to me. My special thanks also to the lady cleaning my room , if i am not mistaken her name is Vivian , leaving me notes and biscuits.Thank you so much, this is a nice gesture that goes long way :)
Don't fall for their trick on airport transportation. It says included on websites, but after using it they charge gringo prices about triple the price of normal taxi prices. Very nice hotel, very nice staff, but should get that corrected. Hidden charges aren't cool, especially spiked hidden charges just because you aren't a National. Breakfast is big.
I was traveling with two friends and chose the best western. The first night the three of us enter the hotel elevator and start coughing and felt a burning sensation in our throats. We told the front desk on the way out and they said they had sprayed for bugs. The next day my two friends spent all day in bed with high fever and swollen throats. We had to cancel our flight home because they were in no shape to travel. We told the front desk but they either did not understand English or did not care.
We booked a room with a balcony. Apparently, that means a grim air shaft with a view of a brick wall and no natural sunlight. To be fair, when we complained, they gave us a different room immediately. (I have never complained about a room before ever. I felt very uncomfortable.) The room they gave us had a nice view over Bogota and natural light, but it was less expensive than the room we booked. It kinda sucked to pay more for the less expensive room. Also, the nice looking rooftop bar, which was the reason we booked the hotel to start with, was never open. I should have known better than booking a Best Western, but it looked so nice in the pictures!
Room was of good side, Nice, rustic bathroom with interesting bathing products. Vert sympathetic breakfast with a boundage of fruits and fresh vegetables, always new surprises of small sauces or Saupstad, and also, very positively, always having an alternative bread type to the sweetened and totally white one. This is appreciated by perplekse trying to keep some control om their eatings.. Surprisingly,, the staff also offered us two kinds of smoothies, since we so much adored The fruits of The country.
Their breakfast and customer service was very good. I stayed at this property during two separate occasions (4 days apart). During my stays, I had a side trip away from the city and I didn't want to bring my luggage with me, so I asked the hotel to store my luggage until my return (this was very convenient and I appreciated their service).
Excellent hotel, but not in Budget if you stay for longer. Location is good and breakfast is also good. Yes, it is recommended if you are in Bagota. Cost is little on higher side and may not fall in Budget if you are travelling for bsiness purpose.
I probably would have rated this hotel at a high 4 but the service of every one of their employees rates this hotel at the highest ranking. On several occasions I had to ask for things and they came through immediately, and always with a smile. The clincher was actually preparing a small boxed breakfast at our departure at 3 in the morning. This is a very nice hotel in a very nice area. Oh, eat dinner in the hotel restaurant. Everything is great.
My wife, 2.5 yr old son and I stayed here and it was a wonderful time. The included breakfast was very good with an excellent variety of options to choose from. The hotel staff were very professional and provided outstanding service. In particular, Sr. (Mr.) Robinson in the restaurant and Srta. (Ms.) Fernanda were excellent. They paid particular special attention to our son and were very attentive to his needs. This, we found, quite unique and special. The rooms themselves were clean and nice and noise was not an issue. The location of the hotel is good as it's in a safe area with lots of nice restaurants and cafes within walking distance. An overall excellent stay which we would highly recommend. Our additional thanks to the manager, Srta. (Ms.) Juanita for her kind attention.
Wonderful place to stay in Bogotá. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very safe and clean. The rooftop bar has a relaxing vibe and an awesome view. Would definitely recommend staying here.
I would highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Bogota who are looking for safe location, amazing service and great value. Location: Around Park 93, one of the safest and upscale neighborhoods in Bogota. Ample trendy restaurants and bars around. Please note that the hotel is located far from the old part of Bogota in which you will find most POI for the average tourist. That means in Bogota traffic conditions 30 minutes by taxi in the morning commute and over an hour taxi ride back in the afternoon rush hour. It will cost you around 100,000 COP ($30) both ways. Service: impeccable. all front desk personal are well spoken in English, they helped me efficiently with any request and always with a big smile. Value: probably the best you will find in the area. Rooms are specious, clean, and so is the walk in shower. Comfortable bed, in room safe and English channels complete the in room amenities. Breakfast is included in the price of the room but it is only mediocre (that's why I gave the hotel only 4 stars) though service was excellent. Roof top bar (which should improve it's liqueur selection) is a bonus. Bottom line: I would stay there again and so should you.
The hotel is located near Parque 93 and is surrounded by hip restaurants and shops. The neighborhood feels extremely safe and the hotel is very well kept. The staff was tremendously helpful, particularly Javier Beltran(?) who was very personable. They have a fitness center, restaurant and bar on the rooftop. This looks to be somewhat business oriented as well as there was a small conference going on. They quickly arranged transportation to the airport which was quick and easy. The room was modern and spacious. There is a mini-bar, nice amenities in the bathroom and the room was quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to have any family stay here or in the area.
We arrived 3 hours earlier and we were informed that the rooms are only available after 3 pm . As a best western member , when we arrive to any Bedt western hotel , they gave us the courtesy to enter a few hours earlier, here they only offer you to leave your luggage in storage, I though was weird Even the hotel was almost empty in my view. The best of this hotel is the location near the 93 street Park , close to embassies and great restaurants , you can walk everywhere and is very safe , 2 blocks from a mayor supermarket and a chain pharmacy, ten blocks from zona Rosa and zona T. The hotel has transportation always ready ( fee ) The breakfast is included and employees are super helpful. The menu is very repetitive and include some local food . After 5 days you really want to try some local breakfast. Our suite was extraordinary, ample with plenty of closets and the noise was minimum . We had a big problem with the toilet as the way the built the bathroom , the seat and it's cover never stays open, was difficult and your have to be creative in how to pee, or doing # 2 sitting with your back inclined. I have no idea who was the designer of this great mistake but this was the main reason why I only give you guys 4 stars . The free local phone service from the room was not working as well , so you have to call the front desk to help you in every call. Even all this small details,I truly recommend this one .
We just spent two weeks at this hotel during the Holidays and couldn't be any happier with our choice. My husband uses a wheelchair and my parents' house has stairs so it's not wheelchair friendly. For this reason my husband and I decided to go with an American brand hotel since they have to be ADA compliant. We chose Best Western Plus 93 Park for the location. Our flight arrived 2 hours late and Delta airlines left part of my husband's mobility equipment in Atlanta so I was tired and frustrated. We arrived to the hotel at 2:00am to find out that they had given away our requested wheelchair accessible room. I called the hotel multiple times and they guarantee that we will have our wheelchair accessible room no matter how late we arrive. The staff was very apologetic and offered immediately a suite on the top floor. I was so upset that I didn't want any other room and wanted to leave. Fortunately, I realized quickly that the front desk staff was trying to help and that probably somebody in the reservations department screwed up. I took my husband's wheelchair to the suite to test for access to the bathroom. My husband's chair is very small, 24”wide, and it fit through the bathroom door. However, I noticed that there was no way that he could take a shower because of the glass enclosure. The staff offered to remove the doors in the morning once the maintenance crew arrived. Therefore, we decided to take the suite and it was a great stay. The hotel is about seven years old but it seemed very new. It was very bright and pleasant. It has a very large roof top were you can enjoy couple of drinks and work on your tan. Our suite had wood floors which we loved due to our allergies and when you are at almost 9,000 feet it is essential to breath. The suite was large and very bright. The hotel is about two blocks from 93 Park a highly attended area for party goers. I has lots of restaurants and can be very noisy at night but the windows in the hotel will not allow any noise so rest assured your night will be quite and relaxing. The hotel has a restaurant with great quality food. We ate many meals there due to the restaurants outside the hotel closing for the holidays. The restaurant is open until 10:00 pm, however, the hotel also have a 24 hour menu you can order from. Great if you are hungry at 3:00am after a long night out. The best part of the hotel is the staff. They always go above and beyond to make you feel home. We could tell every employee was proud to work at this particular hotel. The front desk staff came out of the building to help my husband get out of the car every time and they helped me with his wheelchair. In one opportunity, they noticed that my husband's tires were low so they put air in them using an employee's bike pump. The breakfast/restaurant staff was always very attentive. My husband loved their Colombian version of the “Chimichangas” we had for breakfast on the first day. Towards the end of the first week, one of the managers told my husband to let him know if there was anything for breakfast that he wanted and my husband said “Chimichangas.” The manager said that he will have “Chimichangas” for breakfast the next day and my husband was a very happy guest. Their breakfast was delicious. You get some of the Best Western brand traditional breakfast but also get delicious Colombian soups, meats, arepas, natural fruit juices, pastries. I normally don't eat breakfast but I can't resist Colombian food. On Christmas Eve, I had to leave my husband at the hotel so I could take my dad to the hospital. I was very concerned since my husband doesn't speak Spanish. I went to the restaurant and spoke with Camilo about my concern and he was very gracious and said no to worry they will help my husband with their broken English. They took excellent care of my husband and I could not be any more grateful for Camilo, Hector, Paola, Patricia and all the rest of the staff which I wish I could remember their names.
This is an upscale modern hotel located near the lively Parque 93. The rooms are cozy and quiet, the breakfast buffet is excellent, there is beautiful artwork to admire, the rooftop bar has a fantastic view of the city but most important, all the staff members are caring, helpful, warm and professional. As an added bonus, there is also reliable transportation to all parts of the city available 24 hours in private cars.
We booked this without knowing anything about Bogata. We were very happy w the hotel and service. It is on a side street with a nice entry. The roof top bar is great but only open Mon-Fri. But we were able to go up on Sat and Sunday w our own bottle. The breakfast is great and if you get Mauricio to help you w Coffee and Columbia soup(yes in the morning) it is even better. We would definitely stay again.
BEST WESTERN PLUS 93 Park Hotel is a wonderful hotel situated in northern Bogota. The hotel morning buffet is full with tons of tasty choices and fresh fruits. Numerous restaurants, bars are within the surrounding area, and shops are within walking distance. Rooms are modern and clean, and include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, minibars, and coffeemakers. Fitness center and font desk was amazing arrived late night but Jonathan and Juan displayed wonderful hospitality after a long day of travelling. Checkin and checkout was quick.
It's my second stay at this superb hotel in Bogota. It is located in a very noce area of Bogota, surrounded by shopping centers and shops of all kind as well as restaurants and bars which I loved. The kindest always smiling staff, great service, wonderful breakfast with a big variety of food, spacious rooms and great location! Highly recommended!
Great hotel! Front desk was so nice and helpful. Clean comfortable room. Good breakfast. Soup at breakfast was delicious. We walked around the area. Good restaurants. We took a mixture of Ubers and cabs. Set up a pick up at the airport before we arrived with hotel. Driver was waiting for us upon arriving. Would definitely recommend!
We loved everything about this hotel. The hotel seems very well looked after, and everywhere was sparkling clean. Our room, a suite with a terrace, was very comfortable with a large flat screen TV which had many English Language programs, and loads of sports channels- we even managed to see a live Engand International rugby match. The WiFi in our room and around the hotel was very strong with very few drop outs. The breakfast was very good, and changed every day- great coffee as well, and there were a couple of flasks of coffee and fruit tea available throughout the day. The area around the hotel seemed very safe with many restaurants and bars, especially on the borders of Parque 93. The best thing about the hotel were the staff - I had severe breathing problems on our first night and had to call the paramedics - Fernando the night manager , organised everything, and then stayed and translated while the Doctor attended to me. The next day we were walked to the pharmacy by Alejandro and then Natalya on reception rebooked our flight tickets back to Europe. Exemplary service- we couldn't have managed without them, and the other reception staff whose names I've forgotten.
This hotel is in the parquet 93 area, which is a great location in Bogota. It is in a very safe neighborhood where you can walk day and night. There are bars and restaurants in the neighborhood extremely close to the hotel. It is very easy to catch an uber downtown for $4 U.S. dollars or so. The staff was very friendly and they were on top of the rooms for cleaning and anything else you needed. Our room was HUGE. We were upgraded to one of their suites, which is definitely worth it. The room has a king bed, couch, large closet, good size bathroom and even a patio/deck to hang out on. The breakfast every morning was wonderful and there was a variety to choose from. For the price and the experience, I wouldn't even look elsewhere.
We stayed for 2 nights and asked for a payed late check out that was confirmed through email at half of day rate for an extra 6 hours. When we arrived, there was a confusion among the staff about this late check out and at the end they confirmed that it is as confirmed by the email + we asked if we could have a free shuttle included to the airport, and they verbally agreed. The room was clean, with more new free toiletries provided for the second night, with a little fan heater provided at our request (we choose this hotel for the position and for the heating system). The area is very safe and different from the downtown part. The breakfast was included for 2 nights and there were plenty of food items (sweet and savoury), some of them dry at the corners and with color changes due to oxidation (especially the cheese and cold cut slices). The fresh juices were too thick, almost solid, (especially the melon and papaya) and impossible to pour, but there were some flowing juices too. At check out, we figured out that we needed to pay 2 days and half without free shuttle included as we agreed at check in( we payed separate 42000cop for the shuttle) and in the bill it appeared that for 2 nights we needed to pay some kind of amount named insurance, for each day (that was so confusing and never heard before) and for that half of day that practically were 6 hours some Iva included (we are not Columbian citizens ). We were under shock regarding the bill, so the lady from the reception desk replaced it with another bill without the insurance amount. It was unpleasant for us, even that it was a good stay at this hotel, to see what kind of surprises one can have.
We stayed here for a week to attend a friend's wedding. The hotel is beautiful and very clean! You feel safe and in good hands. It is in a great location that is close to loads of restaurants, shoppi g centers amd bars. Also, centrally located close enough it is a quick uber away from most things you will want to visit. The staff speaks enough English to get by for those that do not know any Spanish. I believe the best thing about this hotel is its staff! Beat service I have ever had at any hotel ever. The front desk staff were super helpful and not pushy. Gabriel..a bell hop I believe was amazing( knew our needs before we knew we needed them, and did it with a smile!) Our maid was excellent too! The room was not only kept very clean the whole time, but they even organized things and even lined up our shoes! Hands down the best besr western one will ever find! I would definitely recommend to anyone. Look no farther people, you have found your winner!
This hotel is an excellent choice when staying in Bogotá. Although it caters to the business class, we felt it was a great choice for us as tourists also. Everything was super clean, comfortable, spacious, and very reasonably priced. The staff here were always helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was great as well. The rooftop bar was our favorite place at night. This hotel is well situated to bars and restaurants, a nice park (el Chicó), and is only a 15 minute walk to the Andino shopping mall.
We spent 3 nights at this hotel and were totally happy with it. First, there was plenty of staff to attend to your every need. They were welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. The building was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and quiet even in the middle of the city. The breakfast menu changes everyday and there were plenty of selections. The location was great with excellent restaurants all around. Last but not least, the roof terrace with its view, fireplaces and charming bartender was an outstanding refuge from the city.
This is a 5 star. The staff are the best and very professional. The breakfast buffet is almost on par with the Radisson. Very good and the service is excellent. My wife lives in Colombia. I will spend my time between the Radisson and the Best Western.
I stayed at the hotel for three nights for a friend's wedding. I was able to prearrange transportation from the airport to the hotel via email (for a small fee). Staff was very responsive and the transportation was seamless. The check in was very easy. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. I ordered room service one night and the prices were reasonable and it came quickly. They had a restaurant on site with breakfast included. There was also a rooftop bar that I did not go to. The location was great - very walkable to the touristy area. I was able to arrange transportation back to the airport at the end of my stay. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to the area.
Hotel is very modern. If you call them the day before, they can arrange a taxi to be waiting for you at the airport. A nice man with a signed with your my name greeted me at my arrival. Perfect location, great accommodations. Area is safe to walk around also very nice restaurants to try INTL and local food. I LOVED THE COLOMBIAN CHICHARRON. loved it.. Totally recommend this hotel, Great Bfast buffett plus great Happy hour on Roof top In essence, i cant wait to go back to BOG and stay at Best Western 93
We liked the location even though it is not close to La Candelaria which felt too busy, cramped and dirty. This area is clean, near lots of restaurants and a great park. We felt very safe. The hotel is nice, especially room 202 because it has a walled nearly private terrace which we loved with a 7 yr old. Jonathan was friendly and the evening staff went out of their way to really help us out by allowing me to use their janitor's sink in the basement to clean our very muddy shoes after hiking La Chorrera. Their breakfast has had yummy selections each morning and the room has been well kept by housekeeping. Oh, and the elevators are always quick to arrive when you call them and we like the security of needing your room key to operate it.
Clean, very nice amenities. This was a very nice place considering that this was a Best Western brand hotel. It was on par with nicer Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn hotels, perhaps even better. The location in the Parque 93 area of Bogota is great with a lot of options for nice restaurants within a block. The Hotel Taxi service costs more than a normal taxi, but the drivers are very professional and not quite as crazy as some of the other taxis that I took. Overall, I give this a 4 out 5 stars.
I just left Best Western in Bogota. I stayed there 4 nights. I found the room very accommodating and extremely quiet. the breakfast was quite good but always the same. Good location and easy to walk the area. I always felt safe in the hotel and outside. My problems might be nit picky but I think it comes down to service and custom satisfaction.. For example, in the room there were 2 of us yurt everyday, housekeeping left only one bath towel and one hand towel. Yet there about about 10 pillows on the bed-I am not exaggerating! The day before I was leaving, I had laundry done. It was back before 6 pm, so I thought all was good. Wrong! One shirt was not mine and one of mine was missing, so called laundry room. She came to room and I gave her back the wrong shirt. Then she said that I couldn't get back my shirt until 7pm the next day. Wow! Too late for me. I guess they sublet their laundry out rather than in house. They are suppose to mail it to me. I doubt that will ever happen. Finally, at check out , I get a printout of my bill. First thing is insurance I am charged for. What!! Never asked for insurance, and didn't need it. Nataly did take that off the bill. But there was also IVA 19% ingresos tax. I had to pay that but I think is is a rip off. I have stayed in 4 hotels recently in Colombia and never was saw this tax before. I am only a tourist and less than a 60 days in Colombia. I would think a big hotel like this would have better English employees than what I saw at the front desk at the Best Western. Nataly could never look me in the eye when discussing the bill and said only that the 19% was for things like going to breakfast. Really?? This is not much money but it is the principal. I glad pay people what I think they deserve but don't try to inflate the bill just because I don't know the way in Colombia..
poor service and rude night manager. we went upstairs to the rooftop bar and had a drink and appetizer before going out. while having a drink I went to the room to retrieve my girlfriends purse before we went out and she went to the bathroom outside the bar. in the meantime they locked us out of the area with our table still full of drinks and food. they said they were closing and they didn't have the staff to keep it open. this was at 930pm! they never apologized for locking us out. we had to wait 20 mins for someone to reopen the door to the bar and then we had to bring our drinks to the room to finish them. horrible service and rude manager. he acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us bring our drinks out of the bar area. every time we saw him again that night he was on his cell phone texting or talking. he should be fired.
8 night stay. A very nice hotel everything is excellent - All staff are friendly and helpful, Front desk, Restaurant & Housekeeping. Hotel is very comfortable, great room size, many TV channels, comfortable Bed, & strong WiFi, very nice bathroom, big closet, Iron and board in room. Breakfast is very nice with good variety. Free coffee station 24 hours. Large outdoor patio on roof is very nice, Location is also very good with restaurants across the street & 1 block to the park square and more restaurants and pharmacy. Grocery store 4 blocks away. Taxi from Airport was 35,000 COP
My husband and I were searching for a quiet, comfortable hotel in safe district of Bogota. This hotel met all our expectations. Our suite had great, super-comfy bed. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff is extremely helpfull. Every morning there is a tasty buffet breakfast. About 1-1,5 km further there is a zone of bars and clubs, so you don't have to go far to get fun.
I stayed for three nights. It was my first time in Bogota, so I relied on a local friend's suggestions on what general part of town to stay. Bogota is a huge city, so I don't know if the location is *the* place to stay, but I was very satisfied with it. I felt safe walking to the restaurants and bars near Parque 93 each night. I ended up having to improvise a little on the trip and all of the staff at the front desk were helpful with tips for where to go and even the tip to use the white cab service was nice. You'll pay more, but they're nice. (In fairness, I didn't have a bad experience with the yellow cabs.) I wasn't overwhelmed by the service at the restaurant, but I wouldn't say that the service was terrible. The service could have been quicker clearing my plates at breakfast. I had lunch there once and the one issue had was over asking for a substitution that was completely omitted and was still unresolved after asking a second time. Since the lady (in training) sent the manager out, we can't rule out that my Spanish just might not have been good enough. The other issue I had in the same meal is that a lady outside was smoking directly under the "no smoking" sign--and, with the door open. I pointed this out to the waitress who at least had the decency to close the door, rather than telling the lady to read the bilingual sign. The important thing is that the meal was good. The room was adequate for my purposes. I got what I booked and it represented good value for the money. Again, having set out to test my Spanish skills, I understand that I missed my BW Rewards membership being acknowledged, although I don't remember the level being acknowledged or any mention of an upgrade at check-in, but I didn't ask at the time (which I really should have done if I was looking to practice my Spanish!), so I can't call this a negative. I didn't get to check out the terrace, but spent some time on the patio, which was nice. So, to sum it up, I found the place to be good value for the money and would consider staying there again if I were to return to Bogota.
Great hotel , very clean and excellent staff... the breakfast was fabulous . The hotel was in a great location walking distance to the park and bars and restaurant , highly recommend it . Will definitely use it again
This hotel is definitely a good choice if you want a nice 4 star hotel with food value for money. Rooms are spacious enough, rather “cleanly” decorated and well maintained. A plus: you can open a window for fresh air a have a coffee maker in the room - both quite seldom in hotels in Bogotá. Staff is very friendly.
My husband and I stayed at this chic hotel with our adult children for a few days before heading to Cartagena. Let me first of all say that we are not Colombians so therefore this truly was for vacation purpose. This hotel is located in a very safe neighbourhood close to shops, bars and restaurants. My daughter and I felt very safe walking around shopping and going to local bars nearby. The hotel offers delicious breakfast with great coffee, of course. You can eat inside or outside on patio of the hotel restaurant. The dinner menu could use more appetizers. At night the patio is kept warm with a fireplace and several heaters. There is a rooftop bar with very modern furniture and lots of tabletop heaters. Unfortunately, we could not have a drink as it was closed for a wedding. We enjoyed the gym, basic but you can still get a good workout. Lastly, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They speak English well, however be aware that once you go outside, it's a different story. Very few speak English, however everyone makes you feel welcome. We loved Bogota and this very nice hotel!
From the moment I checked in until the morning that I checked out, my experience here was a total pleasure. The young ladies at check-in (Alex? and Jesica Castellanos - I hope I got the names correct) were both very much on their games! The process was smooth, and my room was clean and comfortable (not to mention quiet). Everything in the room worked as new, and both bed and pillow were comfortable. The breakfast buffet - with eggs prepared to order - was a great way to start every morning. All the servers are very attentive, and the quality and selection are a cut above many comparable properties. Same goes for the lunch served on the rooftop terrace. No complaints about food or service. As far as location, you cannot go wrong in the area of Parque 93. There are a host of great places to eat, all within walking distance. The area is plenty safe (as far as I could tell, and I don't exactly "blend in"), and the park is always lively. An added bonus for me was the proximity of the hotel to the offices of a couple of new suppliers I was in Bogota to meet with. That was really the icing on the cake! Check out was a breeze, my bill was accurate, and the price/value ratio exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!!!
The staff is wonderful, friendly and courteous ; the hotel is very nice, clean, the complementary breakfast is really good; all these added to the great location. The hotel has a terrace where to enjoy some a beautiful view. Shout out to John for offering such a great service.
The hotel offers great location and access to many restaurants. The hotel staff was top notch. Luis from the front desk was super helpful and courteous. We definitely recommend the location. We took UBER several times from the hotel to the downtown area for super cheap.
On August 21, 2017, I was a guest at the BW PLUS 93 Park Hotel. As is customary, the hotel offers transportation from and to the airport via a locally contracted company. A driver was waiting for me at the terminal, just past the customs doorway exit. We proceeded to walk towards his vehicle and paid the parking fee. After loading the luggage, made a comment of "have to call in" and used a two-way radio instead of his cellular phone. His comment was "I have the passenger and are our way". In the more than ten (10) years that I have traveled to Colombia, no taxi driver had done this before. Soon after leaving the airport he veered off to one of the side streets and drove several blocks parallel to the main avenue. After several blocks, we were driving through a local park where people were flying kites. He made small talk about the kits and the annual kite flying contest, which didn't matter much to me. We approached the main avenue and proceeded when all of a sudden I heard a noise and I thought we had just experienced an accident. After coming to a complete stop, the person opened the driver's door and pointed a handgun directly at me and demanded, "the watch, give me the watch"! I hesitated at first and he repeated again to give him my watch. This is a long story and I can go on and on. The end result is that I was robbed of a gold Rolex watch while being a passenger in a transport vehicle hired by the hotel. I reported the incident immediately upon arriving at the hotel and was told that they were going to do a full investigation and perform polygraph tests on personnel. The very next day I went to the police department and reported the incident. In my opinion, I'm quite certain that this had to have been an inside job that started at the hotel. I had stayed at this particular hotel many times before and very often wore an expensive watch. I'm sure the hotel staff had noticed this before and as soon as they knew of my upcoming stay, word spread out. It would come to no surprise that the driver was buying time when he took the side streets and drove through the park, which was not necessary. This would allow the two guys on the motorcycle time to maneuver themselves in traffic and planned the exact spot where we were stopped." The escape route, after the assault, was an on-ramp and that meant driving in opposite direction of traffic. I have been a Best Western customer for many nears, but I will never stay another night at this hotel ever again. The personnel staff that were in communication with me only gave me the run around and did not provide the information they committed to. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and am taking legal action against the franchise and all parties involved.
The location is one block away from park 93 and there are several restaurants in the area. The area is perfectly safe and the hotel is secure. The room had everything you needed in a basic hotel room and the staff was exceptionally friendly.
The hotel offers a good very good location (near 93 Parque) with good restaurants nearby ...good hotel facilities and a very nice staff. Very clean and modern rooms coupled with good internet service...will definitely be back!
We recently had the good fortune of staying at this property. Ours was a quick overnight stay necessitated by a schedule change made by Avianca. We arrived with no Colombian money and with the need to complete several tasks...it is here where we received the amazing help of Jhon Moreno, who made several phone calls on our behalf (we don't speak Spanish) and who answered our many questions! His colleague , Luis Riano, at the hotel's front desk was also very helpful. The property is very attractive with beautiful art work throughout. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We ate at the hotel's restaurant and we're quite pleased with how tasty our meal and wine were. I can highly recommend this hotel!
We chose this hotel because of the many positive reviews written on TripAdvisor. We had reservation for a Suite-1 King Bed (Oversized Room). There was also a balcony with the room but we did not used the balcony. We arrived at 12 noon for check-in but was not able to check in until 3PM. The staff at reception (Selena Acosta and Ximena Garlan) are over the top helpful. They take time to answer repetitive questions and made very good recommendations. The hotel is in a good and safe location with many restaurants, shopping and a pretty Park close by. The city center is about 15 mins with taxi. It cost COP 18000 (about $6US) with yellow taxi. Hotel taxi cost a little more. The International Airport is about 45 min drive and cost about $18US. We were ripped-off by the taxi on the trip to the hotel by $10US. The buffet breakfast was superb with a good and varied selections. The staffs at the restaurant were helpful too and some spoke English. The free internet worked well. The fitness center was a bit limited in equipment.
Great modern, quiet hotel located a few minutes from Parque 93. The hotel offers two towers with modern, updated rooms. The complimentary breakfast offered a varied selection. Also, the hotel offered two nice bars, one inside in the dining hall and another on the rooftop. The service was topnotch, although the key cards stopped working, causing me to have to keep going downstairs to the lobby. There are the white colored taxi cabs outside of the hotel, offering 24/7 service. Outside of the hotel, there's great dining, around the hotel, from Colombian, to Peruvian, to Mexican, or just chicken wings, this area has everything and the Best Western is right in the middle.
Last night we spent some time at this hotel in order to celebrate a birthday so we were able to try several areas and services this hotel offers. On the positive side, the hotel is quite new and is perfectly located near the well known "Parque de la 93" which is a top spot in Bogota. The hotel's rooftop is beautiful and offers great views of the city. On the downside, their restaurant and bar service needs a huge improvement. Our waiting time for a club sandwich and a soup was more than 45 minutes and, when we wanted to pay, we had to go from the restaurant located near the lobby to their rooftop bar (6 stages above) since the restaurant didn't have the equipment to process credit cards' payments. If their service is improved, it's a hotel not to be missed when in Bogota.
I come there now for years, I got one of the new rooms due my Diamond status and was thrilled. Jonathan and the supervisor lady in the breakfast room made a big difference how a guest feels. But you have to get true high speed internet working in all the rooms. This is not acceptble for business travelers. That us the one and and only thing that will stop me. Salute Thomas
very good hotel close to Mall, boutiques, bars and night life. Quiet at the same time. Good for vacations but also for business trip. Not very far from the airport. I recommend it highly! The personnel is very professional and aware. The bar is very good and the food as well.
It's amazing how a minor detail can change your outlook on a place. Even though the hotel is in a great location, it's personnel is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and nice, for a business traveler not having good Wi-Fi internet service really puts a damper on things. The Wi-Fi internet service not working properly for 2 days cost me having to use the roaming service I have available from my country to keep connected and that made me grade the hotel worse than it deserved.
A pleasant surprise as was our first trip to Columbia. Between our appointments had a chance to visit the Catedral de Sal! Monserrate by cable car, the gold museum, and the personal home of Simon Bolivar! Good cafes, bars, retaurants. The Andres restaurant was an experience of it's own!
when you go for business to Bogota I recommend the BW 93. Its location is excellent, great restaurants all around, nice to be able to walk outside in the evening. Great staff, great facilities. The Italian restaurant right in front of the BW is a recommendation. Best Pizza and pasta ever! Special thanks to GM Elizabeth and FO manager Ricardo we were very helpfull
good location, nice area, room is very clean, nice staff, just everynight the clean staff will come to knock the door to give chocolate,is really sweet idea but could give it when clean the room will be better. Note: Please pay attention when you check out. i didn't use any snacks in the room but they said i did then tried to charge me...but after i explain they let me go,just beware.
Very good location and clean rooms. Restaurant service is excellent and staff very attentive. If you are working in the northern part of Bogota it is a very good option. The price value is very good. the hotel looks as new. There is a number of restaurant options in walking distance.
Great location, good staff, hotel rooms are presented nicely. Piso 7 is a plus. Open air deck with nice views. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast has reduced in quality over the past 6 months but still a good selection of food.
My mother and I took a little girls trip down to Colombia and this was our hotel in Bogota. I'll be honest... we booked the hotel solely based on it's location. Being an American, I had minimal expectations about staying at a Best Western (not that they're bad, just basic) but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was all incredibly friendly, the property was actually very nicely decorated and hinted towards modern. The rooftop bar had great views and a cute little area to hang out during the day when it wasn't busy (never made it there at night). The complementary breakfast was pretty good, great selection of fruits and hot items everything was kept filled up so you had a nice variety. Perfect location to walk most places, and taxis are cheap if you want to relax a bit. Room was clean, well kept, the room service wasn't bad
The location is very good, it is in a safe area, just few minutes walk to park 93 with lots of Restaurants, Cafe, Bars etc. The Hotel stuff is very nice, breakfast has a good selection of food. The Hotel and the room are big enough and clean. There is a bar on the roof with a nice view.
Stayed 3 nights for a business trip with colleagues. Very good value for money, nice comfortable room, bathroom ok, bathroom amenities are basic...thankfully I had brought mine. Breakfast buffet included, ok but nothing to rave about. The hotel is well located and you can easily walk to some nice areas and restaurant, clean, helpful staff, and secure. Would return again.
Perfect location at what appears to be a hotel row. I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel being it's a Best Western. In the US, when we think Best Western, I think a motel or a motor inn type of place. I booked through Expedia and the hotel was just as described and pictured on Expedia and Trip Advisor. A nice lobby area, the room was clean, toiletries (soap, bath gel, shampoo , conditioner, lotion), good size shower, full size hairdryer, and large towels. The best part is the turn down service. To my surprise they actually have a turn down service which I love . DOn't get me wrong this is no big deal but for this class, you don't expect it. I thought it was interesting. The staff were mostly great, friendly and helpful (except for 1 which you will see on a side note below). There are many sitting areas, the lobby, the halls, and just outside the restaurant there's an outdoor sitting which was very comfortable and great for meetings. The restaurant was perfect for meetings too. As you can see I was there for business. The restaurant is very spacious. My stayed came with complimentary breakfast but I only took part on my last day. It was very good. Again staff were helpful. There are many meeting rooms that you can rent for events which I thought was a plus considering the convenience of the location. There's also a bar not he rooftop which was very cool. I was unfortunately too busy to use the spa services but they have a spa. The toiletries were replenish on a daily basis. They were not selective on which toiletries not to replenish even when you still have them they left new ones. They did not have little towels (wash cloth). I actually brought a few on my stay at a hotel in Medellin a month ago that's why I'm noting this again on this hotel. Some people like having it. The experience did not start out on the positive note that I said I would never stay here again since there are so many hotels in Bogota. Arrived on a red eye flights so at arrived at the hotel by 8AM. At check in, while the check in was being process, the front des person asked for the normal info as well as credit card for incidentals. Then as she was finishing, she informed me that I would have to pay $60 per early check in. I was not aware of that and was not too happy about it. I travel quite a bit and when the room is available you are able to check in earlier than normal check in time and if not then you wait. She went on to tell me that all hotels in Colombia charges an early check in. That fee was more than half of the hotel nightly rate, soconsidering it wasn't really much I decided to just go for a walk and wait. Having been in the same clothes for almost 24 hours, I wan't having it. Decided to go back and asked for a manager. The manager was more than helpful and went above and beyond and making sure the I got a room. The room was on the higher floor, corner location. The reason I am noting the location is, generally, hotels booked on Expedia are sometimes not the best location. Hotels tend to accommodate visitors who booked with them directly. I was really happy with the overall service. They also have a car service which was the same rate as a taxi. This was very helpful. I will definitely recommend this place and will be back next time I'm in Bogota.
Have stayed at this BW for one week and have found the location to be perfect and the staff to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and contains a wide variety of items to satisfy anyone. Close to park 93 so you have a great variety of restraunts to choose from. You even have a McDonald's and a Starbucks.
Good new rooms. Great location close to restaurants and the 93 park. Great and helpful staff. Gym could be better equipped. The rooms on the 6th floor might be affected by the noise on the terrace when there is any company celebration or party.
OK hotel. Area is really not that great, kind of boring (mediocre park with some restaurants around it). We never received soap bars, even though we asked for them on multiple occasions. Breakfast was OK. We saw several waiters just grab food from the buffet with their hands (very unsanitary). Wait staf was kind of rude. Other than that room was fairly clean.
Staff is very friendly, helpful, young and energetic. They offer great breakfast options that cater to Americans who might enjoy something beyond fruits and cereals. It is located near Park 93 and about 10 minutes taxi drive away from Zona T a great area to eat.
Services were great and the staff was AWESOME! Rooms were very clean and food was great too. I hope to return to Columbia for future business and will stay at your hotel for sure. I want to thank you for making my stay a WELCOMING stay.
Most of the reviewers have noted the hotel's location as a major plus. I don't see it. Yes, it's very close to Parque 93, which is very small patch of green which is almost completely surrounded by restaurants. Parque 93 is a small piece of real estate where nearby residents walk their dogs on the weekends and new families bring their babies to push their carriages. The Sunday we checked it out, there was a book fair and it was a huge crowd. So yes, there are so many places to eat within a five minute walk from the hotel. But to put into context, Parque 93 district, which is part of the El Retiro locality, is in the northeast part of the city and about 10 blocks away from the nearest CBD. There's nothing else to go to nearby. Best Western used to be the 93 Park Hotel. From the outside, the 7-story hotel creates a dramatic figure because of the two tone paintwork that's done diagonally. The lobby is extremely small – as soon as you entered the front door, you were already in front of the front desk. There's a small seating lounge beside it. Then the rest of the ground floor consists of three large function-meeting rooms, the restaurant, and two loft banks to either of the two hotel towers. From the sixth floor, you climbed up a flight of stairs to get to the small cardio-focused gym and to the open air bar which gives the hotel a major competitive advantage – it really is that cute-romantic with heater. We were impressed with the tremendous works of art available in the lobby. That differed in contrast to the bare walls of the rooms. You don't get good views from the windows though. When we checked in and opened our 6th floor room window, we were facing a building under construction with blue tarps as eyesores. It was so bad we had to ask for a room change, which gave us a little bit of relief – but not much. The room is decent and functional – up to Best Western standards. The floor is wooden plank-looking ceramic tiles, which seems to be common in Latin America. Lighting is adequate, especially for the desk area. Cabinetry is very acceptable and the woodwork doesn't look cheap at all. The Samsung LCD TV is big enough and there are a lot of TV stations, with enough English news channels. The bathroom is tight but well-laid out – we just wish they had his and hers wash basins. AC is a plus. The tiny one-seater sofa did have a major stain though and it slightly detracts from the ‘very new' image. The hallways are impressively appointed with nice carpeting and lighting, plus lots of motion-sensitive lighting. They also had two bottles of complimentary water upon check-in. The check-in staff are very friendly and accommodating. We asked for wine glasses and a corkscrew to enjoy the wine we had purchased from the nearby supermarket – and it arrived very quickly. From the reviews I had seen, the breakfast gets a lot of criticism. I beg to disagree. I thought the breakfast choices were decent. At the very least, they had a great fruit selection, as good as any other hotel we had been in in Latin America. They had the usual breads, cereals, cold cuts, juices. And they had hot soup, fried rice, two egg varieties, etc. Not bad.
Stayed two nights here and the location was great. Near Parque 93 and alot of restaurants near by. Lots of people walking in the area so felt safe most of the time. The room was big but the king bed I got was enormous. Probably the biggest king bed I have ever slept in. Everything was clean and the shower worked great. Not sure what happened to the post below this one, but the temperature in the room was good. Yes, it was still cold and a bit of rain while I was there. Maybe that person just got unluckly with his heat now going on. Breakfast was just okay, but good to get you going Staff was good and the only negative wasn't the hotels fault. There's a bar across the street that plays loud music way into the night. It didn't bother me much but a few times I woke up because the dj would scream something loud then it would die down a bit.
Just got back from a 5 day trip to Bogota, and stayed at this hotel. The location is great as in a business trip you don't get chances to do anything but work and come back to the hotel to sleep. But right across the street you have 5 restaurants and another dozen walking distance, which is great to just go out for dinner and a drink if you don't want to stay cooped up. Service staff was great, everyone aleays greeting and asking if any service was needed, so friendly and welcoming feeling. Rooms are big and comfortable and the best for me was the shower, lots of pressura and hot water. Only bad experince for me was the cold, rainy days and cold wind made for low temperatures, and rooms hace AC but NO heating! I was freezing! Staff got a small heater for me but with a large room and small heater it took hours to feel a difference. This was really a loosong point for me, but was told this is a similar issue in almost, if not all, Bogota hotels. So if you are a person that needs heating be sure to ask before hand!
This Best Western is everything you would expect from a nice 4 star hotel. Well appointed rooms, comfortable bed, and in a great location. The check in was very fast and efficient even at 12 AM. The staff was polite and always helpful. This hotel is in one of the best areas of Bogotá. Very easy to walk around anytime of day or night. The only issue I would say is the breakfast is very basic and not the same quality as the rest of the hotel.
Room is clean, with good temperature control. Breakfast selection was average, helped by the ability to request custom cooked eggs. Location is very good, quite central and in a nice and safe area. The location would be considered quite boring but the area around the park (Park 93) really comes alive at night. Fitness facility is small. Rooftop seating area is really nice and relaxing, depending on the weather.
Had a great time at this hotel. Great location and great hotel. Clean rooms and old breakfast Buffett. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Great to be so close to parque 93. Can walk there in less than 5 min. Can't provide a better recommendation than this
It's was a great experience to stay at the Best Western Plus 93 Hotel. I was there for a travel industry event and the breakfast and room was very good. Internet connection was great and the service very good. I would stay again.
Nice area, nice people - this time the price was right. However watch the rates...This is a $100 / night hotel but they have been known to raise the rate to $300 / night and this is not a $300 / night hotel.
Well located with plenty of restaurants both across the street and nearby. Professional staff, decent sized rooms, and good wifi. Only downside as others have said is that the hotel's beds are very firm.
I stayed for 4 days and just leaving for Santiago ,writing this review from VIP lounge , hotel is perfectly located, quit new property must be 4 years old. Rooms are good, every possible amenities they hv tried to put in place. Staff looks to be always ready to help you. Around hotel all best RESTURANT you can found. The area's I like to see to get improve is breakfast very limited options, poor on taste and missing effort to serve you properly, this probably biggest problem in this hotel. Other issues are minor as AC is little problem, but over all hotel you can come again and enjoy . I must mention a young boy at front desk Hennry was best in lot.
I found this hotel to be super clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a lovely area of Bogota, which is very comfortable and safe for walking, and seeing green spaces.
The things I liked: -Good breakfast. They have something different every day. -Friendly staff. -Good location. It is supported with many restuarats. Access to tax The things I didnot like: -Gym is small (can handle 3-4 in the same time). - -Added some taxes, I am not sure if they do that with others or not.
Great location, great customer service. The hotel is near to Parque de la 93, a lot of restaurants and stores. You can walk to Centro comercial Andino, and El Retiro. The hotel ambiance is modern and beautiful, the rooms are very spacious end the breakfast is delicious . I would definitely recommend it, and I hope I would be back soon.
Best Western 93 is located in a really nice part of Bogota. Despite hearing that there are unsafe areas in Bogota, this is not the neighborhood they are talking about. I never felt unsafe walking around, even at night. Best Western is a standard, clean hotel. The employees at the front desk are nice and helpful. I did not feel the same way about the people at breakfast. Maybe it's a cultural difference but I found them cold and unfriendly. Breakfast itself was nice with a variety of food. No complaints from that front. Overall a nice accommodation. I would stay here again.
We loved our stay here, the rooms and facilities were very new. The buffet breakfast was also varied with local dishes and also the traditional eggs, toast, fruit, etc. It is located a block from the park and a nice walk from several restaurants and the big shopping center Andino. It was a bit cold to visit the rooftop but it was a very nice lounge that guests can enjoy in warmer weather.
How can that hotel be ranked in the top 10 of the properties in Bogota? That's a mystery to me. I have stayed in most of the hotels around Parque de la 93 and this is the least memorable of all: bland and boring lobby, standard rooms, large impersonal restaurant, etc. Nothing gave me a lasting memory. Oh, except perhaps receiving a phone call after checking out from reception telling me I had to come back to pay some taxes that the clerk forgot to charge me. That was quite memorably incompetent. The hotel does have a gym, except it wasn't in the tower where I was staying and going down almost to the hotel lobby to walk across to the other tower and go up and get to the gym was too much of a chore frankly. Basically, if you look forward to staying in a property with no character, that could be located anywhere in the world, with equally bland food and service, the Best Western is for you - and it's not even that cheap.
Had a wonderful experience staying here. Big room, well kept. The front desk, Vanesa with others v friendly n helpful. Breakfast decent n most NOTABLE was the waiter serving breakfast was super helpful even if he barely spoke english. Went the extra mile to serve n made you feel at home. Congratulation. Nearby with plenty of food joints, excellent place to stay. Great roastbeef sandwich n tasty Colombian coffee or beer, restaurant directly just across the hotel. Good pizza too. Pleasure to stay in this hotel.
Arrived a day late due to airline flight connection issues... Notified the hotel reservation line and provided ample time of the flight situation and received acknowledgement by the hotel reservation line... however, when I arrived the day following - the hotel happily charged me for the previous night. I think this is very tacky and poor customer service.
This very Hotel is indeed very nice and indeed very charming, the staff working here are all indeed very friendly and just so service minded, it is seriously a great experience to be here, really so great.
Facilities and service were excellent, quiet room even though close to restaurants and to a great park. Breakfast was good and variety with fruits, breads, eggs, cereals and also some typical food as arepa and tamal. Decor was beautiful and many art pieces exposed. Top floor has a nice lounge, decent gym, and Spa. Front desk were very helpful on arranging diner reservations, transportation and tips to get around. I would come back to this hotel next time I travel to Bogota.
The hotel is great. Bed very confortable and good breakfast. No noise from outside so I slept very well. Close to fine restaurants and malls. Nice neighborhood. I highly recommend. Despite the distance to Museo do Oro, I arrived there so easily by bus ( it was an adventure) and returned by cab.
Bogota is great and the area of hotel is perfect. The hotel has a small feel to it and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast has a wide choice and room service is fast. This one store in the area even brought my wife's altered jacket to our hotel.
This is not the "Best Western" hotel I have come to know in the U.S. This hotel is much nicer. I wonder if it would make sense for the hotel to get rid of that brand. Anyway, this is a wonderful place , with excellent english speaking staff, great free breakfast, clean nice size rooms, and located in a very safe part of Bogota that one could feel comfortable walking around 24/ 7. Lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. I am a satisfied customer.
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and the experience has been great both times. It is located in a nice and safe area. If you are a solo traveller this is the best option as the city center can be dangerous. They have always allowed me to check in early with no extra cost as they understand how tired you can be after a long flight. Staff member is always friendly and ready to help. The rooms are big, nice and spotless. The buffet breakfast is awesome!! and the room service menu is really good. My only complain is tat sometimes the Wi-Fi in the room was a bit slow. I absolutely recommend the hotel.
Great staff, especially Nick helping with tourist info. Suggested restaurants, sights to see and places to go. Spent an afternoon with Nick in old-town, great. Nice room. Top floor bar for evening drinks and city views. Good breakfast, included. Workable ATM one block away in the "Express" store. Several good restaurants nearby. Very good room rates. Far from old-town but taxi rides are cheap.
The hotel is not close to the main tourist sites. It takes 35 to 45 minutes in the morning to get to the Calandaria and between 60 and 90 minutes to return in bumper to bumper during the afternoon. On the positive side, there are quality dining establishments in the area. That said the hotel is totally mediocre. The furnishing are tasteless, the breakfast is sub-par. This is not a quality place, you can find better in Bogota.
Really good hotel in safe location of Bogota. The room was fine and service was really good. Every day we got new towels and bed linen. Near hotel were a lot of little restaurants and shopping malls/ The breakfast was perfect, there were a lot of dishes and fruits. Staff was fast and warning. We stayed in hotel for two nights and I can recommend this hotel to everybody.
The hotel is in the safest and nicest area of Bogota, it is just 3 minutes walk to the beautiful Parque 93, 5 minutes to Park Virrey, 10 minutes walk to El Retiro shopping centre. You can walk around in the middle of night without any worries, it is really safe. There are nice restaurants and pizzerias just opposite the hotel. The rooms are clean and modern, but you can not open windows, and I just did not have enough oxygen in the room. The view was on another building, so nothing amazing. There is a roof bar which has amazing views, unfortunately it was empty each time I went there. The breakfast buffet is ok. The staff is very helpful.
We arrived at the hotel direct from our flight into Colombia and it provided a nice introduction to the country. After a 45 minute taxi ride from the airport in rush hour traffic we arrived around 6pm at the multi storey building with modern glass fronted lobby manned by smiling, uniformed 20-something's who informed us we'd been upgraded to a suite- great start to the trip! We were shown to our room on the 4th floor. It was large with separate sleeping and lounge areas, each with a large flat screen TV. All was clean and modern and the bed was large and comfy. The bathroom was small but adequate with a range of complimentary toiletries. I was pleased to see that the windows opened as I don't like sleeping in a closed room with a/c. The downside of this can mean external noise. We faced the rear of the building and there was a building site to the left. We did hear a little noise from 7am when construction started but travel with ear plugs which excluded this. With the window closed you couldn't hear it. Similarly we heard some music from the bars opposite the hotel but not too much- if at the front of the building this may have been more of a problem. In general we slept very well.On our second visit however we were directly facing the building site and noise was a lot louder. Therefore when booking I would enquire where your room will be. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was Buffett style with adequate choice. It was okay- eatable, nothing special.Theres also a nice rooftop bar with views over the City and mountains in the distance. The hotel has a gym and spa and we received a complimentary 15 minute massage which helped ease the stiffness of a 10 hour flight. It also has a nice rooftop bar. The location is good for being able to walk to the bars and restaurants of Park 93, 2 blocks away. There are also some bars and restaurants just over the road. The large Zona Rossa bar area is about a 10-15 minute walk away too. You'll need a taxi to get to the Candelaria old town area which is about 25 minutes away- the hotel has taxis on stand by. I was impressed with all the staff at the hotel - smart, friendly, helpful and professional and not in a 'forced' way. It had the feeling of a happy place to work so praise to the management for that. In summary - a very good 4 star, good location and at 60GBP per night a very fair price.Downside is potential external noise but this would be reduced if you keep the windows closed.
I had stayed earlier in the older parts of the city to the south in a hostel and decided to use some BW points to spend my last days nearer to Usaquen and other more modern city sights as I was told the city had an amazing cycling network that I didn't see much of in the south (due to potholes, I didn't think cycling was that safe). Anyway, we got in and were greeted by Nicolas, an employee in training. He seemed incredibly excited and made our stay amazing. I had previously booked a room thinking there was a sofa bed in it (website translation error) and realized there wasn't so we got to switch rooms. Nicolas gave us his top 10 list of restaurants to eat at and ensured we knew how to walk there (we walked some 10km that night). The next day on an unfortunate cab ride back from Monserrate, we got scammed 50,000 pesos (from a licensed cab, I'm guessing that's how he paid for a new Hyundai Elantra). Nicolas walked us up to the rooftop patio even though we had checked out to make us feel better and even brought us a slice of cake. He made us remember how the good people always outweigh the bad. He helped negotiate a cab price for us too to ensure our last 30000 pesos would get us to the airport. Thanks Nicolas! I hope you're not in training for much longer.
We enjoyed our stay here; room was very large, good breakfast choices, nice terrace and great area of the city to be in. Staff was very helpful with directions and other information. Felt very safe walking in the Parque 93 after dark and so many great restaurants to choose from. Prices are a steal for the high quality of accommodations and neighborhood. Shout out to the Fabian of their in-house taxi fleet; we enjoyed a private tour to Zipaquira for much less than the cost of a group bus tour and got great door-to-door service (not to mention the best lunch at the local parrilla). All in all, highly recommended .
In the U.S., Best Western hotels are not great, so I was skeptical, even though this is a Best Western "Plus," and it has rave reviews. It is extraordinarily nicer than your typical U.S. Best Western; however, it is clear that the hotel is trying hard to be nicer than it actually is. Pros: -Inexpensive -Tourist friendly area (lots of shops and restaurants that North Americans and even Europeans will appreciate) -Staff was, for the most part, friendly and helpful -Free WiFi -Breakfast included with room rate Cons: -IT IS SO LOUD: there was constant construction happening directly across from our room (our room "view" was of a construction site). I called to ask about changing rooms, and no one ever called me back as they said they would. Also, on our second night, there was an insanely loud party going on, either in the hotel or nearby, and I could hear every lyric of every loud song that played. I could also very clearly hear the hotel guest in the room next door when their phone alarm went off and when they talked to other people on the phone. -The "Spa" is not really a spa: the spa is located right next to the gym, so you can hear the music/TV in the gym from the massage rooms. There is no dedicated waiting area for the spa, either. Also, the masseuse, while friendly, was obviously not very well trained, and it was honestly one of the worst massage I've ever had. Instead of using a linen sheet on the massage bed, it was a clinical type wrap you'd expect at a doctor's office, which was not very comfortable. The massage itself was very light in pressure (despite my indicating the type of pressure I wanted) and felt more like a massage I'd get at a nail salon back in the U.S. rather than at a hotel spa. -The staff was inconsistent. I found one woman at the front desk to be particularly unhelpful. When I went to pay, she handed me my bill, which I reviewed, and then she proceeded to type on her computer for about 10 minutes while I stood there. In most hotels, they'll charge the card you used upon checking in, or at least ask you if you want to use the card on file. I incorrectly assumed this was about to happen, and it never did. So I stood there, and stood there, until, in Spanish, I asked if I needed to sign anything, and then she explained she was waiting for me to give her a credit card....I'm not sure why she didn't think to say anything when I was standing there like a fool for 10+ minutes staring at her...You can chalk that up to a miscommunication, but she could have handled that better. -This one is nit-picky, but there is no place to put your toiletries inside of the shower, meaning you have to fully bend over (and possibly hit your head on the soap tray, like I did, multiple times), when you want to use shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. Very poorly designed.
We stayed here at the beginning and end of our 3 week stay in Colombia and found it to be a really good choice. The staff, especially Nicolas, were all very helpful and friendly. The location, near an attractive park, (Parque 93) , and many places to eat in an upmarket residential area, the Zona Rosa, was quiet and safe with easy access, at Virrey, to the amazing Transmilenio bus system. The room was spacious ,clean, with good Wi-fi ,storage and a coffee maker. Beds very comfortable. The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast with waffles, fruit and cooked items and in the evening serves good dinners. The roof top bar provides a pleasant location for cocktails. Around the hotel's public spaces are a lot of interesting paintings and artworks which we enjoyed. We would certainly recommend this hotel.
The roof top was absolutely beautiful. I stayed here just because of that! The Massuese was fantastic as well. The weather was horrible but that didn't matter. I can't wait to go back. I wish all best western plus look like this one with the same excellent customer service!
I loved the people, service and the hotel was very well decorated. Its confortable, extremely clean, and well located. The breakfast buffet was delicious and all of the concierge staff was ready to assist me. I definitely recommend the hotel.
This place is conveniently located in a great part of town. The rooms are cozy and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I slept like a baby and the staff were always very attentive. If youre looking for a comfortable place to stay or do business in this is it!
Good clean hotel Very good location Fair Food Clean hotel Very good staf Good service from Vanesa Zea at front desk Outstanding service from Elizabet Gargales at the food area. I visited at this hotel 8 times and was satisgied.
We had a very nice stay: the staff was superfriendly and offered us a perfect service and the breakfast was outstanding. Great beds and nice room which was very clean! We hope your stay will be as good as ours!
The hotel is nicely decorated. Rooms are well maintained. There were maintenance activities like painting ongoing (which did not interfere with living) so it showed they really cared about the building. The rooms are comfortably setup and have all necessary things. Working space was good and the wifi internet worked very well all the time. Breakfast is decent, gets you started. The selection could be little bit wider but I think everyone will find something to eat. Eggs, areppas, bread, cereal, fruit etc. Rather standard in business hotels. Coffee was good, however the machine they had (which is actually really good Jura machine!!) was bit slow for the purpose when they have lot of people in the restaurant. Location is excellent! There are few places cross the street for food but if you walk 1,5 blocks you will get to a park which is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. There are few pubs near by too. Area seemed to be safe to walk. Hotel staff is very attentive and speak good English if your Spanish is compromised. Great stay, will definitely use this place again!
The hotel is amazing, excellent rooms, gym, spa, restaurant, etc. Apart from this, the people working here are incredible. I got really sick and the hotel has a health insurance so 2 doctors came in, checked all my vital signs, asked me a lot of useful questions and they were incredibly kind. I would return to this hotel without doubting. You also have access to 15 minutes of free spa massages per day! :)
Everything worked not only as expected but even better! Nice people in all the venues! Food is great! Beds are really comfortable! I wish I could have stayed longer than the three nights I spent last week!
This is a great place to stay in Bogota. Near Parque 93 so there are many great restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel has a great view from the rooftop bar. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Staff is quite friendly and helpful. I will for sure stay here next trip to Bogota.
this hotel is excellent. the room was large and spotless, with new hardwood floors. beds are comfy with very fresh linens, and plenty of channels on the tv. bathrooms are up-to-date with rain shower heads. the room was also quiet and peaceful—barely heard the other guests. the neighborhood is lovely, with many restaurants on the park. very safe. short walk to zona rosa (shopping, dining) or, even better, a very short cab ride to usaquen, which has a wonderful sunday flea market, not to some unique shops and bars/restaurants. the hotel is also about a 10-minute walk to the transmilenio at virrey, which was convenient and I think the cheapest/easiest way to get downtown to la candelaria. however, the front desk is also happy to arrange transportation for you, whether it's a one-time taxi ride (yellow cab) or a driver for the day (white). breakfast is also good—lots of choices, from pastries to omelets to waffles. room service is convenient, too. rooftop bar wasn't open when I was there, which was the only disappointment. will definitely stay here when in bogota again.
My girlfriend and I had a 20 hour layover in bogota so we decided to stay here. It was an excellent decision. The staff was professional and accommodating from the moment we arrived up until we left. We opted for a couples massage. Not only was it a fantastic deal but the masseuses did a great job. They explained any questions we had and offered a quality massage. The room service was delicious and quite cheap. The hotel suite was amazing and cheap as well. The exercise room was adequate and the bar had a beautiful view. We had an early flight the next day, so early in fact that we would have left before breakfast was served. We asked the night before if there was some way we could get a snack in the morning. The staff prepared a breakfast just for us. We were both extremely greatful and pleased with the entire experience. Everyone we met was so nice. We would recommend it to anyone.
This hotel is geared to the business traveler, It is located in a nice area of the city near the park on 93 street. Rooms were nice, Staff was friendly and helpful with info for getting around the city. Not much to do otherwise at the hotel.
Hotel was clean, staff was very nice and polite. Breakfast was very good and they had variety. The only downfall is that they have a beautiful rooftop and its never opened. I went twice and door where open, but no lights, no personnel, nothing! It's a shame to have such a beautiful space and they really don't promote it.
Stayed here during New Years. Rooms were clean and tidy. Newer hotel so everything was very clean. Service was good. Staff was also very nice.Nice roof top terrace. Only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. Not enough choices and I hate runny eggs. But it is in an excellent location so I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed at the Best Western Plus 93 for three nights for business purposes. It was my first stay at this chain in Colombia and I did when looking for a convenient location for my business meetings. The best value out of this hotel is the people who works there. I had a need for an early dry cleening service and had it done in minutes. I asked for help at the front desk for a pharmacy and they were awesome in giving me recommendations. The people at the restaurant makes you feel like an old patron not to mention the ecellent breakfast included in the rate. Their own taxi service is very reliable. For this level I consider the Best Western Plus 93 one of the best option to stay in Bogota. You will feel safe and confortable
I stayed in this hotel for 2 and a half weeks ona business trip. It has a very friendly and helpful staff, clean and nice rooms, excellent service, and great breakfast. The location is also excellent, ina very good neighborhood, nice restaurants and many shopping possibilities nearby. I suggest to everyone.
We only stayed here one night after our long flight from the US. We arrived late at night and the staff was very friendly, offering us refreshments upon checkin. The room was a good size, clean, nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. The only negative was that the shower wouldn't drain well. Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was plentiful and well stocked. Also included was a free 15 minute massage in their spa, which unfortunately we didn't have time to take advantage of. Would definitely recommend to all travelers! Great location next to Parque 93 with cafes, restaurants, and businesses.
This is a great hotel close to all the trendy bars and restaurants in Bogota. The hotel itself is clean and includes all the modern fixtures. The breakfast offering was a welcomed addition. Would recommend this hotel for a city stay whilst in Bogota.
This is a great hotel in a great location. Every type of restaurant a few blocks away or across the street. Easy walking to the Best of Bogota. Rooms are more than adequate, clean and modern. Room includes breakfast that should last you till dinner if your out touring or just visiting. The staff is friendly and informative
I must admit I wasn't expecting so much from a Best Western. A few points.... 1.The rooms are roomy and updated 2,The staff at the hotel, especially the people who work at the front desk were terrific. They always had smiles and were very helpful. Everyone was top notch but I would like to specifically recognize Nickolas who helped with check-in after a long day of travel. A few of the women were equally helpful but I failed to get their names. 3.The location is good. It is a five minute walk to Parc 93 with excellent nightlife and restaurants, and a good ten minute walk to Zona T with excellent shopping, nightlife and restaurants. 4.Breakfast was very good with a few hot choices, and fresh fruit juices. Colombians drink more fruit juice than other culture I have been around. Even if you don't know what the juice is I suggest you try it. 5.Room was cleaned well everyday, and the maids seemed very efficient. I would definitely stay here again for the price I paid(less than 90 dollars per night).
On a quiet street just 2 blocks from Parque 93 - this really is the area you want to stay. The management of the place is clearly excellent - all along the service was professional and swift. I only paid ~$70 for a weekend stay through a booking website so the value is great too.
We were very happy with our stay at the Best Western 93 Park. This being our first trip to Bogota, the staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to give us a great experience. The hotel is just a short walk to plenty of restaurants and Park 93. We enjoyed some cocktails up on the rooftop patio a couple of times as well. I was a little weary that our room was in the front of the hotel overlooking the street, but noise was not an issue and the blackout curtains prevented the bright lights from shining in our room at night. The staff was really good about making recommendations, and the car service they use was very helpful and inexpensive. We were always able to walk outside and use the car service if needed, and we were able to call them from wherever we were in the city and have them pick us up. Most of the employees at the front desk speak a small amount of English - so if you know any Spanish at all it is not difficult to get the information from them you need. The complimentary breakfast downstairs was pretty decent. Lots of fresh fruit and they had some other specialty items each day. The staff was quick to bring more coffee and clean up extra dishes. Even though we checked out earlier in the day, we had some time to kill before leaving for the airport later that evening, and they allowed us to go up to the rooftop bar to have a drink and take in the views one last time prior to our departure. We didn't expect this level of service from a Best Western, so we were pleasantly surprised with our stay!
I had heard about the amazing service at the Best Western Plus but I never thought it was THAT good. The staff always is one step ahead. Starting from Luis who takes care of you when you arrive. Johann and Ximena checked me in flawlessly and quickly, and then Claudia made sure my room was up to my standards. In the kitchen Gustavo and Juan Adolfo were unbelievably helpful and kind. I wanted to give them a hug, and Elizabeth the general manager was always there at breakfast to check on us. I am very thankful to all the staff for their helpfulness and kindness and I would stay here in a heartbeat again.
My wife offered me/us this as a surprise for my birthday. I inicially was expecting to go to the restaurant but when I realized she was checking-in at the lobby, I started to undestand. We got into the junior suite on the 3rd floor, red roses on the bed, proseco on ice, chocolates, little present box and some pictures framed by the hotel (arranged by my wife). This plan is also including free car park, early check-in, late check-out and breakfast. On top of that my wife had us a reservation at the hotel restaurant, which offers a great deal as well. It looked like she had the whole restaurant booked for ourselves (it´s literally empty during week ends, almost no customers), we really enjoyed this moment, very romantic. We slept very well in the king size bed, had breakfast, chilled out for a while and went for a spa, get some massages (not included). After the spa we realized that you can access a bar on the roof top which offers you a terrasse with a very good view. The best night plan cost 350.000COP/115USD for both of us. You can add some extras and you´ll spend a very nice time together.
This is a very clean and comfortable hotel. Situated in a safe and secure location, it is close to many excellent small restaurants. Particularly noteworthy was the personal assistance I received when attempting to find wrapping paper for some gifts and also fresh flowers. Two employees were extraordinarily helpful in obtaining the wrapping paper and flowers - Lupe and John went well beyond their duties to obtain these two items for me. The demeanor and professionalism of these two employees is exemplary. A superb effort by the other hotel employees as well. Looking forward to returning to this fine hotel. The only weak aspect of this hotel was the intermittent wifi server.
Located two minutes walking from Parque 93. Room is spacious and decorated nicely. Breakfast is excellent (with waffles!). Staff is nice and helpful. We had some noise at night from an event on the 7th floor. Recommended!
The hotel is situation a secure, upscale area. My friend and I had a great stay there, and arranged for secure transportation services through the hotel to the touristy places. Overall, a great stay - would recommend for leisure or business
Hotel personnel were very nice, helpful and tried very hard to please. Location of hotel is good. Many very good restaurants within walking distance. Had some issues with WIFI and hot water control in the shower, but workable.
It was an excellent experience staying in this hotel, I stood for 5 days, it is close to the pink zone in Bogota and also it is close to some other good places in Bogota, good service and fancy place, breakfast was included on the price, they helped me coordinating trasnportation for all my activities
This hotel was a truly wonderful experience. The hotel was very modern with all amenities including a huge bed, direct TV and fully stocked snacks. I don't think I have ever been in a hotel were the staff were more friendly, helpful and accommodating. I called and asked for my complimentary water and it was there is two minutes. The buffet breakfast was very large with a variety of delicious foods, and the waitstaff and managers were at my service for anything. It is also in a perfect location next to Park 93 and great restaurants and bars
