Best Western Plus Hotel Birmingham Inn & Suites, Birmingham

We had to travel to Birmingham for a funeral and we were very pleased with this hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous. We booked a king suite and it was roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. The location is just five minutes from restaurants and shopping. If we ever get to visit again, we will definitely stay here.

If you like being taken over by Ants (no food was left out), having a nasty A/C unit that shuts on and off, a toilet that never stops running and having someone coming to your room with your room key to unload their stuff because the front desk girl checked them into the same room then this place is for you. Outdated hotel with a coat of paint. I will say the girl at the desk when we checked in was awesome and probably deserves a promotion and the lady that was there when we checked out was awesome but everybody in between them needs alot of help.

Decent for a last minute overnight stay while driving through to get to our final destination. The room was clean overall but there were a handful of tiny ants crawling around and a bit of mold in the shower. Linens and towels were clean, smelled nice, and A/C worked well. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was typical and the family was happily full on our way out the door.

They changed our room even though we had a reservation for weeks before due to selling out. Hotel ac was off on arrival in 96 degree heat. Room was adequately cleaned. Bed was comfortable and we did sleep a couple hours once room cooled down. Breakfast was very disappointing, not much to choose from. And what was there the one young lady could not keep up with putting out or tidying up on her own. With COVID precautions we have gotten used to them not cleaning the rooms but when getting clean linen you have to call and ask them, go down to the desk and wait in line until they get some from the back. It seemed very expensive this summer for a clean bed and a low pressure shower.

Nice enough hotel, everything worked, pleasant staff. Good selection of restaurants 5-10 minutes drive. Rooms a little tired, clean but needing a bit of updating and renovation, paint chips and surface scuffs that could easily be sorted.

Friendly staff and comfortable room. Close to restaurants and stores but quiet area, does not feel like you are close to Highway 280. Slept well and experienced zero issues. I plan to stay again, the next time I am visiting central Alabama.

Friendly staff, great beds, great rooms!! The hotel is located on HWY 280 which literally has everything! We were able to enjoy our stay while being minutes away from literally everything from a mall to target, Walmart, 5 and below, restaurant (if we chose to go), and countless places for me to take my children and let them burn off some energy. The hotel is almost like a little hidden treasure; it's on the heart of a busy Hwy, yet tucked away.

Clean and quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Parking areas well lit. Beautiful location on top of a hill. Easy access to surrounding shopping and dining venues. I would recommend this to friends and family.

I had a king room at the end of the hall on the third floor. Everything worked fine except the deadbolt on the door did not latch. Room felt large with the sofa. Plenty of outlets for devices. The internet was good. The breakfast actually had hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. Nice size TV. Bathroom was a little small. Nice location off the main highway. Plenty of free parking.

Tasty, full breakfast! Nice, clean room and comfortable bed. Everything, restaurants, shopping, entertainment…, is near. Quietly tucked away in a wooded area. Will return for much needed rest and relaxation.

Nice very clean hotel in a nice area of town. Parking lot well lit and staff friendly. Family will be back to this hotel. We stayed in the double queen suite and it was very big. Wi-Fi worked well. Thanks BW.

Our first time staying at a BW Plus hotel. We thought the hotel was very up-to-date. The staff was very accommodative. It is located a small distance off of the main road making it a bit challenging to locate. However, the location made for a very quiet night's sleep without road noise.

This is one of the Best Western hotels that I have stayed at. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was good. For the price we paid, it was worth it. The hotel is by many restaurants, stores, gas stations once you come out of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly! This will be our go-to spot whenever we need to stay in Birmingham.

Upon arrival the property was very nice, checking in/out was so smooth they even engaged in conversation. We didn't get a chance to eat breakfast due to the fact they didn't serve until 7 am and we were up and headed out around 6 am

Best customer service from the staff that I have ever experienced in a hotel!! Will definitely stay again at this hotel when I am in area. The hotel and outside property are maintained to a high standard!!

We appreciate a General Manager who jumps in to assist, and leads his team with a service heart. In this current hospitality shortage every welcome, smile, verified detail matters to the traveler. Thank you to a team making efforts to get it right.

The first room we checked in had a crusty dirty rag in the tub and the tub was dirty. And when we walked in the order was very musty and smelled like mildew. I went downstairs to get another room. The other room tile was slippery and the bathroom smelled like urine. We could never identify the source of the smell. The shower was extremely slippery to the point I almost fell and the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed. The tile when we entered the room was slippery as well. The bed was clean. We checked out a day early and the lady at the front desk either didn't notice or didn't care. I chose this hotel because it was close to work and had good reviews. I paid almost 200 dollars for a hotel that should have been MAYBE 65 dollars per night. I moved to a nice hotel and even though the new hotel puts me at an hour commute to work I would prefer that over staying at this property ever again

Room was basic. Trash was left under sofa bed from previous stay. We found a pill under sofa bed. Sofa pillows needing cleaning. Bug crawled on my pillow one night. Carpet need cleaning. Staff was polite. Breakfast was okay. Washer and dryer need to be updated

The owners do whatever they want. The hotel had covid signs from over a year ago up and many were irrelevant. However, all important information was not posted. Due to covid, the hotel will not touch any of the rooms until checkout. All that work about making the beds, having fresh towels, removing garbage, enough toilet paper, and other needs falls on the guest. Also, they changed breakfast time without notifying us to an hour later. The pool at this hotel was not clean, locked 30 minutes after it should have opened, and had dirty towels left behind. The pool needed to have its filter turned on and be skimmed of dead bugs and leaves.

Terrible value, mediocre facility and bad service. Even though the hotel was advertised a lot cheaper we were charged over $130.00 for a very uncomfortable stay. We arrived late at the hotel and when my son was ready to open his sofa bed it wouldn't open correctly. The head of the head was still on the ground after opening the bed. I had to get dress and come down to explain the issue to the girl at the front desk. She said it was user error and suggested to keep trying. No “let me Yelp you” “if we can't fix it we will find you another room” Nothing!!! After a long while of trial an error the bed opened in a way that was not even close to comfortable but at least it seemed like it wouldn't be dangerous. Even though I specify that's we needed 5 towels we had to share them after the showers as they only gave us 3. I was told that the breakfast was going to be opened until 9:00 they also said that it was just grab and go so we figured that on our way out we could just grab it. We left the room a few minutes before 9;00 and we, MADE IT TO THE BREAKFAST ROOM AT 9:01 BUT THEY TOLD US THAT IT WAS ALREADY CLOSED AND THEY WILL NOT GIVE US ANYTHING, NOT EVEN SOME FRUIT FOR THE BOYS OR A CEREAL BOX TO HOLD THEM UNTIL WE COULD GET THEM BREAKFAST. She did tell us that we could go to IHOP to have breakfast!!! That is customer service at it's finest. The “Plus” is just a marketing trick. This place is uncomfortable, overpriced and they treat you like cattle. Let me clarify that the personnel at the front desk was polite, just not helpful. You could tell that they were instructed not to go out of their way to help you out.

Myself, husband & toddler stayed overnight as a driving break on the way to Florida. We didn't have any issues upon check-in around 11:30pm. Leon was very kind & thanks to online checking had all my stuff ready when I arrived. He also let me know that he was scheduled all night if I needed anything to let him know. We booked a king room which was clean, the air unit worked properly, I check the sheets & mattresses which passed inspection. The hotel itself was very modern & had an overall clean experience. They did not offer breakfast currently due to COVID which is a tad disappointing but not a deal breaker for us. We used the quick checkout by just dropping our keys in the basket on the way out, I didn't catch the lady working the front desks name when we left but she was also friendly wishing us a good day & waving to my toddler. I will keep this hotel on my radar for next year, we used the GPS to find the turn in with no issues but I can see how it would be hard to find in the dark as some reviews mentioned. *Please note our bed was made upon arrival but I wanted to capture a photo for a review before we left :)

The building looks really nice but the staff are quite rude. They are very hard to find and when I did they seemed very inconvenienced by me. Also my toilet was broken for the entirety of my trip so I had to flush by filling up the ice bucket and pouring into the bowl.

This was a hotel I'll remember! The room was beautiful, it was very clean and very comfortable! There where problems with the key not working and the TV remote not working, but Anita was so helpful!! Anita was the desk clerk and she took care of everything! I'm a best western platinum rewards member, which gives me a free room upgrade and the manager gave us a beautiful room!! I'd recommend this hotel for sure!

Not satisfied with the service that we received checking in and checking out. The first room that we got, the refrigerator, microwave nor the tv worked so we had to move to a different room. Our bill was charged incorrectly, I guess what I am saying is if you choose to stay there do it at your own risk.

We came from florida for a family road trip. Love the location and it was about 5min away. From where my family lived. Everything was close. Nice view and staff (Jin) checking-in was friendly when checking in and out.

Been traveling to Birmingham from Florida for medical reasons for 18 years, about every 6 months . Normally we stay downtown, however this time we stayed in Hoover at this Best Western and lived it. Beautiful location, spotless rooms, fair prices and a staff that really cares about their customers

Stayed here with a tour group. Our keys and rooms were ready and passed out as we walked through the front door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Only reason I give it a 4, not a 5, is because the caulking around the tub was either poorly done or it wasn't clean. Minor concern.

Large comfortable suite with a separate setting area. The room has 2 double beds and accepts pets. It was conveniently located next to the laundry room. Nice continental breakfast. Great staff. Look for the rope lights on the trees out front or you will miss the entrance.

My name is Doris and during this month of December my husband and I didn't have a reservation and we had been traveling for hours; we were very tired and sleepy but when we made it to the hotel, Ms Bonita made a reservation for us and got us in a room really fast! Was woke up at 8:30am by housekeeping after late check in 11pm, no (do not disturb) card for door. Breakfast done at 9am so didnt get breakfast and wasnt informed at check in about breakfast times. Staff was nice and polite

My staff normally does inform everyone when they check in-I'm sorry they dropped the ball this time. I have made sure there was a DND sign put in the room you were in. King Room was great. High Speed Internet worked fine. Very clean. A/C and heater worked fine. Standard breakfast included eggs and sausages. Refrigerator and microwave worked fine. Safe neighborhood. Supermarket nearby as well as several restaurants.

Stayed two nights in the Best Western when I was in the area for Business. Check in was very fast and the clerk was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast included was delicious and a welcome bonus. We had a King room with a couch and desk and it was perfect for our needs!! Would recommend and will stay again if in the area.

From day one Lisa was helpful, courteous and did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable. She did a great job on our room and the staff was always friendly. Unless you want to be subjected to a nasty hotel room upon arrival, find you a room somewhere else. This is my second review to write, because amazingly, the first one was deleted. We had a couple of rooms reserved and they were both nasty. The housekeeping staff hadn't cleaned the toilet in one room. There was hair in the beds and in the shower. In the other room, there were wet, damp, USED washcloths hanging on the shower rod. There was also blood in various spots on the comforter on one of the beds. My husband called and spoke with someone in corporate about it. They wouldn't give him any compensation and just told them to call him for future stays. There is no way there will be a "future stay" at this hotel. I'd rather sleep in my car. At least I know that it is clean. I'm very disgusted. We spent a lot of money on the two rooms and nobody at the hotel seems bothered by the fact that it was filthy. :-(

The person who cleaned your room is no longer employed here. My front desk associate immediately cleaned your room for you. You did then stay overnight. You did then stay the night,. Had you decided not to stay we would have released you from your reservation. At this point if you would ever like to stay again if you will contact me I will make sureyo have a much happier experience.

This Best Western's rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, & the breakfast is fresh & good. The exterior is well kept & as well as the lobby but the staff is what i return to. This team is the nicest & friendliest group that i have encountered.

My family needed an extended stay hotel while we were waiting to close on a new home. Kids anxious everyone tired and cranky and we did not know how our stay at the Best Western was going to feel. We have been treated each day to a fantastic breakfast, the best beds, super staff and quiet and I mean quiet rooms. I have nothing but positive comments regarding our stay. We loved it here and a shout out to Gigi for our wonderful breakfast each morning.....

This location is the only place we stay while visiting Birmingham. Carole and her staff always go the extra mile to accommodate our needs. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is always hot and fresh with a great variety to choose from. We have stayed at this hotel seven times in the past two years and have never been disappointed. We will continue to stay here every time we come to Birmingham.

Always Awesome to see my favorite "Skinny-dipping" couple!!!! And as always-no-I can't leave the lights off and the gate open for a midnight swim! But we do always enjoy your stays and I do still have the pool open if you want to take a dip with your clothes on!!! LOL!!! Ya'll take care and we will see you the next time!

The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. The front desk was nice. Great room for a great price. Will definetly be staying here again. Nice location as well. Breakfast buffet could have some improvement to it but, besides that I enjoyed my stay and would definetly recommend it.

Hannah was fantastic at the desk! She was there when we checked in and checked out and made the experience pleasant and hassle free. Everything was clean, and breakfast was top notch. All of the staff were extremely friendly!

This is Birmingham best kept secret. The location the service and the atmosphere is awesome . I always suggest to other people I meet or know. I wish they served a Light lunch or snack and then no one would leave.

I have spent several trips to this Hotel and they all have been A plus. Carole---Detrick---and Angel are the greatest at providing service to their customers. The breakfast is surprising at times with their variety and rooms are clean and well maintained. Keep up the good work my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My stay during the 1st of a September was worth every penny! Not only did I save money, but I was treated like a celebrity from the moment o checked in until checking out! Lisa did Ana we some job with making sure I got a few extra facial towels, even when she was doing her duties, she took time to accommodate me. I also got a chance to encounter with Darrell he helped with Informing me about breakfast and giving me a warm welcome. I was asked to come back and I definitely will! Best Western is the best in town!

This is a very nice, well maintained, clean Best Western Hotel which I will again stay when I'm in this part of Birmingham. The hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. However there are two things that need to be addressed: 1. Lack of Signage pointing to driveway or direction to the hotel off US 280. It is a VERY busy road and the Best Western is hidden. While it's great being that way as it attributes itself to being quiet accommodations. But you can't find easily from the road, especially at night. 2. Breakfast is nice and hot HOWEVER there are folks like me with food issues. The eggs have a variety of junk cooked within that can be detrimental to folks like me. I am glad I caught it early on. Case in point - Eggs need to be eggs and contain nothing else within.

I have been in the same Best Western for the last 3 month. Has been one of the best hotels i have stayed at in a long time. Great staff and a excellent breakfast. i would come back here the next time i am in this area. Lots of places to eat. The hotel has it's own kitchenette. make it great when you are on a budget.

This is the best hotel I have experienced since my time herein Alabama! I decided to get a little time away from work and just come to kick my feet up. I was in need of a few things and Brandon came right on to help me with that. Overall, I was checked in quickly and did not have to wait long to get everything situated. Just checked out of this Best Western about 25 minutes ago, and I feel like I need to write this review while it's fresh on my mind. Last minute family trip to Birmingham for a bodybuilding competition. My brother booked a suite with 2 queen beds (maybe double) kind of last minute, but Bonita at the front desk was very helpful, and was able to take care of us so the whole family could stay at the same hotel. Check-in was quick, and the lobby looked nice. We grabbed some Whataburger and ate in the lobby, which was comfortable and clean. When we checked into our suite, we all were immediately distracted by how the room smelled, and how it looked like housekeeping hadn't been in since the last guest. Trash and wrappers on the floor, stains on the countertops, and when I pulled the covers back, there was hair, crumbs and stains on the sheets (I'll attach pictures of all of this, if it will allow me). The headboards were covered in handprints and splatters of something I didn't try to investigate further. In short, the room was very very dirty. I went to the front desk to let the agent know, and she very helpfully provided us with an alternative suite across the hall (I didn't catch her name, but she had beautiful tattoos on her left arm). The new room smelled like cleaning supplies and fresh laundry, and we were pleased with how it appeared cleaner. I couldn't help but notice, though, that the room still felt spot cleaned. The vents on the AC were packed with dust and debris like they hadn't been cleaned in ages (pictured). The toilet had urine stains with hair, old toilet paper and debris stuck in at the base (pictured). But the kicker was the shower. I'm shocked they allowed guests to purchase a room with a shower in this condition. Ignoring all the hair in the shower, the floor of the tub appears to be damaged or very badly worn. I don't even know how to describe it other than to attach a picture. My brother's opted not to use the shower. I did, and wished I hadn't. Mostly, my visit to this hotel was regrettable, and I wish we had booked a room at one of the hotels nearby. The issue seems to be the tragic housekeeping, and no one checking rooms for quality assurance. Go elsewhere if you're a germaphobe like myself, or you'll be racing to leave.

Dear Jazmine I apologize for the experience you had at our hotel this weekend. I assure you this is not the norm here. I have been short of help and apparently the person cut some corners and we dropped the ball and did not catch it before hand. We do check rooms on a daily basis just so something like this does not happen. It did and I do apologize again-those rooms were a few of the last ones done of the day and as busy as we were they got missed. I hope you will give us another chance to really show you what a great experience we do offer.

I just had to compliment the customer service skills of your staff at this location. They were always happy to help and greeted us daily. The woman that runs the breakfast in the morning was a delight!! Thank you for your kindness!

Visit started with smiling sales manager Dietric, most friendly guy I have met and very helpful to meet our needs. But as trio progressed lots more stars appeared. Kate and Jennifer in housekeeping very sweet ladies wanting to please, Napoleon was everywhere to greet you or help out, Chai and Charlie prepared breakfast every morning with a smile, Angel and Hannah behind the desk all times of day as well as Manager Carol took great care of us. Great team here to please you and make stay enjoyable. Ohhh btw the pool probably cleanest clearest one I have ever been in so props to the pool guy too. Only complaint was in king suite we are still in. The drawers for pots pans silverware none work all fall out and are not on tracks to use or open. So we brought our own pots pans silverware.

We held the first leg of our family reunion at this Best Western in Birmingham. It is tucked away but extremely close to shopping and restaurants. My husband and I drove past the hotel to see everything this area offered and were extremely pleased. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the front desk clerk and she made the check-in process extremely easy. Our stay was very nice, the complimentary breakfast was a perfect way to start the day, and the hotel was accomodating when we had to change our cookout plans. The only reason I gave them a "very good" rating is because some of the rooms in our group were not cleaned after our first night. The hotel cleaning crew was nice but I think they may have been a little overwhelmed during a week day (Friday). We departed on Saturday so unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see if this was normal.

I stayed at this location just one year ago and what a difference a year makes. Whoever is in charge of housekeeping should be fired immediately. The rooms, the towels, the bed linen...all of it disgusting. The first room had hair and stains on the bottom sheet. A simple eye gaze could have spotted that, so I wonder if they even changed any of the top sheets...I know they don't always change the bottom one, but if it's visibly disgusting?? Come on. I was switched to another room immediately, thanks. The second room had towels the size of one leg and they had hair all over them. Just nasty. The bathroom door had all kinds of brown drops/stains that could have easily been wiped off. There was old hair wadded up on the bathroom door hinge. The faucets had spots all over them like they hadn't been properly cleaned since my last visit. The bathroom wasn't fit fdor an animal, so I didn't allow my children to use the shower. The staff was very kind, the ladies at recepetion and those handling breakfast. Housekeeping however is the main sticking point for hotel rating and this best western did not live up to what I've come to expect from even a budget hotel. Room 113. I accidentally left a bag, and no one stole, it...so there's that. Do better.

I am always pleased when I visit the Best Western in Inverness AL. Anything that I may need is available at the hotel. Friendly staff always. Location is wonderful. I wish there was a little more variety for breakfast but, its all good.

My mother and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. In the morning their Employee Chai showed us all around the breakfast bar and showed us where everything was. She even went to bring me my waffle that was cooking. She even got us a book to show us everything about Birmingham! You don't get that kind of service at every hotel.

Came in very upset about some family issues. He was absolutely amazing. I have PTSD from loosing my youngest son to suicide back in December at 21 came to Birmingham to see his older brother and had to see him have a seizure on my youngest sons Birthday June 23rd. I have since been here to convince him to go to the Dr. He handled my shaking from PTSD very well most dont. He was very sincere and even when I came back in with my bags asked if he could help and let me know If I needed anything to let him know. What an amazing man.... In the world we live in today he was a breath of fresh air... Thank you Detric I will never forget your kindness...

Just need better water pressure - water was hot but trickled out ... and a tad more attention to detail when cleaning the room - found chip bags under the bed skirt ... and they weren't ours. Desk staff was amazing - gave great recommendations for dinner and shopping ... were very friendly ... and the lobby is beautiful !

This is one of the cleanest niceest best westerns ive stayed at. The loby and breakfast areas are very nice and updated. Very nice staff. The suiet i stayex in was worth the money ive stayed in worse for a lot more so thank you best western Birmingham. Al.

I travel in my job and have a lot of soso experiences but this one is over the top. Carole the GM has had my back the whole time I have been there which has been several months. Breakfast is great and a lot of varieties. Never seen shredded cheese---salsa---and Jalapenos on a breakfast bar before. GOOD JOB STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very clean crisp hotel. Angel at the desk was super friendly. Carpet pops and modern. Great location just off 280 and right in the middle of everything. Pool is nice. Rooms are well kept. We were in town for a tennis tournament and had a great time!

Nice hotel was told new management , nice pook that faces the woods, grilling area, clean hotel, breakfast was ok , like the sausage they had, the eggs were round not scramble, orange juice coffee, etc.

Only negative was the length of time to acquire warn water for morning shower, but if willing to wait several minutes one would get sufficiently warm water. Room was very comfortable with individual room AC/heat , but somewhat noisy when the fan kicked on. Staff very friendly and solicitous of your comfort and needs.

Stayed here couple weeks ago for 8 nights, booked 2 rooms for 4 adults. Asked for rooms next to each other but didn't get them, both rooms different and 1 was lacking comfy chair and stool & bedside cabinet. Both rooms were very dusty, just at the edge of the bottom of the bed on the floor was fruit loops, bottle caps and sweet papers & the bathroom floor wasn't cleaned for the 8 days we were there, we had to request bed linen change, on the plus side the bed was comfortable. Breakfast time a lot of guests every morning were having to ask for items to be replenished, having bread defrosted in microwave put out was not very appetising. We asked at reception if they could book a taxi for us one night after about 30 minutes wait asked again to be told taxi hadn't been sent to us, receptionist didn't know any taxi firms so gave up and went in own transport.

My family and I reservation at another hotel got messed up somehow. We ended up here and I'm glad we did. The front desk lady was really friendly and helpful. She was polite and knowledgeable not only in her job but the city as well. She made us feel welcome as soon as we stepped in. The lobby was amazing! It was very clean and the decor was very inviting but yet relaxing. The pool was beautiful but we didn't get to use it because it was raining. The rooms was very clean and comfortable. The room are very spacious and well maintained. There was a youth basketball team staying there and I didn't hear anything once inside our room. I could have slept forever in their comfortable beds. The hotel was well beyond my expectations for the price. I would totally recommend it for any and everyone.

When my wife and I first saw this place we knew that it was going to be a great place to stay after she got a liver transplant from UAB Medical Center! She was right! This is absolutely one of the best Hotels while visiting Birmingham. This was my 4th stay within a year and each stay gets better and better. The Front Desk Staff, Angel and Bonita go above and beyond their assigned duties to make sure you have a pleasant and welcome stay. Our room attendants M.Patel and S.Patel ensured our room was cleaned to perfection. Napoleon was constantly on duty keeping the grounds in very good order. The complementary Breakfast Bar is absolutely delicious. Everything is kept fresh and replenished on a timely basis.The General Manager, Carole, is very much customer oriented and will make sure your stay is a Happy stay. If you have plans to visit Birmingham, the BWP @ 800 Corporate Ridge is the place to stay, I know I will stay no where else during future visits to Birmingham.

I really was surprised by what a wonderful stop this was. I have to compliment Hanna at the front desk for being such a great ambassador. I arrived late and was exhausted and she made me feel like I arrived right on time. Many things happened between me getting there and getting settled in my room and she handled everything calmly and happily. She had so many tasks come up during my arrival and didn't even flinch or seem stressed. I really enjoyed my short time there.

I have stayed over at least 25 off of Best Western's hotels. This is my first time that this has never happened to me and my husband. We're here in Birmingham Alabama Best Western Plus on Corporate Ridge Road and we stayed here two nights so that we can enjoy the surrounding museums and history. When we came back to our room was not vacuum or picked up the trash, and the beds were not straight and nothing was done to our room when we left in the morning before 10. When we call the front desk she didn't seem to have any ability to come and straighten up the room or any housekeeping available she didn't offer us another room. I'm very upset that this has happened to us. Because we're passing through I don't think that the owners would care or to correct what has happened because we're just on vacation. I do apologize that you were unhappy. I spoke with my housekeepers and they said and had marked on their list that you had a Do Not Disturb sign on your door. I do apologize but they are not to enter a room with that sign on the door. They check up to three times before 12:00 and then again before they leave.. My desk clerk offered to come straighten your room. I do assure you that we do try to accommodate our guests and make them happy. I look into any and all complaints and do take them seriously.

Hannah was at the front desk when my wife called to make a reservation. We were having trouble finding a room because there were multiple sports events going on in the city. Hannah suggested that she call back after 6 pm because there would likely be cancellations. Sure enough we were able to get into a room and it was really nice - one of the suites that had two queen beds and a pull out sofa, kitchenette, we had five people sleeping and all were comfortable and got a great night's sleep. Hotel has been renovated and it is beautiful and clean. Highly recommend this property. Hannah did a great job of being very customer oriented and the general manager spoke with us directly to find out how we liked our stay.

Although it is located off a very busy road, the hotel is situated on a slight incline. Therefore it was very quiet and serene surrounded by a few trees. I found every staff member I encountered to be very friendly, ready to assist and respond to any requests. Traveling can be hectic so this was a nice oasis.

Nice remodeled hotel. My only complaint that the signage was non existent we drove all around the access road trying to find the entrance for this hotel. Staff informed us that the motel use to be a Wyndham and. they were working on the signs. Large room, excellent staff, very comfortable bed and quiet. Breakfast was typical of hotels in this price range. Cereal, breads,. waffles and fruit.

We were driving from Florida to Birmingham on our way home to Wisconsin and had made reservations at this Best Western knowing that check-in was 3. We arrived in Birmingham at 1 with all intentions of visiting some historical areas, unfortunately, is was pouring down rain. We stopped at the hotel in the hopes we might be able to check in early. We were greeted by Angel, who turned out to be an angel! She, without any issue, welcomed us to get into our room early! She was very professional and helpful in the process and made us feel welcome and comfortable. She also helped us expedite our check out the next mornin with a rewards coupon we had. Additionally, the young woman and man whose names I unfortunately did not get but came on after Angel, were very helpful helping us find a place to eat. We had a great time talking with them; they were pleasant,professional, and personable! Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable! While only a minor issue, I have to note that breakfast choices could have been better. The fruit did not look very fresh, the eggs were “patties” that were flavorless, and the potatoe mixture was adequate. Mind you, this would not stop me from staying here again!

We stopped her on our way from Louisville to New Orleans. The location was fantastic with several restaurants located nearby. The room was large and modern with a fridge and microwave. We did not eat the breakfast although it looked and smelled great.

Excellent! Beds were first rate. Good coffee. I liked the business model with lots of plugs and usb options for power. The hotel was very clean. I liked how there were a lot of towels. Smells very clean.

After driving in torrential rain witnessing a number of cars having left the interstate and requiring rescue we were pleased to arrive to a warm welcome and swift check in. The 2 queen bedded room was spacious ( much more so than similar Hilton properties) and very clean. The beds were good and because of the hotel being tucked away off the main road we slept soundly. Breakfast was good and the area kept spotless. We used the laundry facilities and this too was very clean and tidy. Everyone was welcoming. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We went to Birmingham because I have a very premature Granddaughter at UAB. By the time we got to the hotel we were very tired. Check in was quick. The beds were awesome and we woke up refreshed and enjoyed a great breakfast.

We stayed at Best Western for a night while celebrating my husbands birthday. We got wonderful customer service from check in all the way to check out. We had a large spacious king suite. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet and tucked away so There is no street noise but only a few miles to stores and places to eat.

After a long day working, then a 3 hour drive that turned into 6 due to traffic, I arrive at my first hotel near 11:30pm. Hotel X had over booked and I was the lucky looser. (Be careful with 3rd party reservations, property gets priority). The Hotels.com customer service worked some "magic"(slow but steadily working on it), so at about 2:45am, I walk into the Best Western. The Wonderfully Sweet Woman at the front desk greeted me with a smile. Her name is Bonita. She was so extreamly welcoming and positive. There was still a little problem with the reservation. Apparently, the "Magic" happened after midnight, so the new reservation was made for that day....which meant our check in wasn't until 3:00PM!! Realizing why and how the reservation was messed up, She got it fixed! ...and I got into a room by 3:00AM. I really hope someone in management from Best Western in Birmingham/Inverness, AL reads this post. Bonita diserives an Award for Customer Service!!! She was so completely understanding, warm, helpful, and caring that I was actually No Longer mad or aggravated at the situation. SHE EVEN OFFERED TO HELP MY WIFE BRING THE LUGGAGE IN while I parked the truck!!!! My room far surpassed my expectations! Super clean, TV an cable was updated and the channel guide actually matched the channels! Breakfast was hot and delicious! Every other staff members we have had interaction with has been pleasant and helpful... But Bonita is the BEST!! Thank You so much, Mrs B!!! This hotel was clean and the rooms were nice, but the air conditioning did not cool the room well and was extremely loud. There was no pool and breakfast was only average. They needed more variety. I might stay here again if the price was right.

Hannah Was the best front desk clerk that i have dealt with in a few years !!! and I travel a lot for work. She was knowledgeable of the area and where to eat . And where the shopping malls were. Over all she was the best that i have experienced.

Stopped here on my motorcycle trip from Ohio down to Gulf Coast then on to Texas. Staff was very nice very helpful gave me coupons to use for dinner at restaurant across the street which was totally awesome. Staff let me park my Harley right up by the building up front. My room was very nice and big. Would definitely stop back here again.

My stay was excellent! The young lady who greeted me at check in, I believe her name was Meshia, was extremely professional, attentive and welcoming. Customer service seems to be a priority at this location. Every staff person I had the opportunity to speak with was exceptionally kind and accommodating! Breakfast was great. The room itself was a little dated, but very clean.

On our vacation and we needed a place to lay our heads for the night and this place more than meets our needs. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate. The bed was just what our weary bones needed and in the morning there was breakfast waiting on us. This is a roadside value stop.

I brought my daughter for a job interview at Birmingham Zoo. The hotel is in a nice area and very quiet. Very clean and nicely decorated. What impressed me most was how friendly, caring and cheerful the front desk staff were. We had to be at the zoo at 6:30 AM and would miss breakfast so Misha had a to go breakfast waiting for us that morning. She had just worked a double shift and was still cheerful and wished my daughter luck. Angel and Raven were also friendly and helped us with where to eat and getting around town. Every time we walked by them they would acknowledge us. I will definitely stay there again when in town! I can't say enough about these three!!!

I live in Alabama,just not in Birmingham. When I have events, this is the only place I want to stay. I have been fortunate to meet the right host and they are very patient and always give me the best rate possible.

THe staff is very friend/y, smiling & helpful. The hotel is very clean, quiet area, Value wasnt bad either for the night being Labor day. It overlooks the mountain & town which is pretty cool. You could see the sunrise set. Temperatures was great there. Misha gave us things to do & nice places to eat. Cowfish was a great place to eat. Neat atmosphere. Breakfast was more than your standard hotel breakfast. Enough towels in the bathroom & good size to use. We would recommend anyone to stay here.

We had a great experience! We had a group of 27 that traveled to Birmingham from Plymouth, IN for the annual Motion Student Conference hosted by Church of the Highlands at the Downtown Legacy Arena. The entire staff at this Best Western Plus location was fantastic! Since we were a large group, the staff went ahead and Pre-Checked us in. This made it so nice, we were able to just walk in the front doors, grab our room keys and go settle into our rooms. The rooms were very clean and even smelled nice (How often could you say that about a hotel room under $130/night). The rooms were very spacious and the beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Free breakfast in the morning was quick, hot and tasty! Not to mention, nice on the wallet :) I would suggest this hotel to anyone that is traveling to or through Birmingham, AL - I would also suggest that if you happen to be in Birmingham on a Sunday, visit one of the many Church of the Highlands locations for a worship service!

This hotel was Wonderful. My family accompanied my husband on a business trip, and the suite was plenty large and had all the amenities. It even had a small stove top. The swimming pool was very nice and included towels. MISHA, at the front desk was fantastic and took care of every request. Very friendly. She definitely helped to make our stay worth it! The location is perfect and close by to so many options.

This place was the best hotel I've experienced in a long long time. For a budget friendly establishment, I was overly impressed. It was spotless. The staff was superb. I hought I had an issue with housekeeping knocking on my door at 8am, but 1) I failed to put up the dnd sign, and 2) the staff explained to me that not everyone actually checks out so housekeeping doesn't know ahead of time who's gone and who isn't. They cleaned the property so flippin well, that I backed all the way down with my almost complaint. There was a conference going on in Birmingham with gobs of teenagers and that place STILL looked immaculate. My sister was staying at a Hilton property and it didn't come close to the look and feel of this BW. Of special mention, there's a lady working the front desk, Misha I think, who is the happiest hotel clerk I've ever run across. She smiled and knew what she was doing. She answered all my questions and made me feel like I really was welcome. The lady who handled my reservation over the phone, I forgot her name sorry, was also one of the most helpful and knowledgeable hotel staff ever. I've stayed at many many hotels and resorts all over the world, and these people were great. I want to give credit to the housekeeping also. Everyone knows that cleanliness of the hotel makes all the difference and they killed it!! All the hotels I've stayed at in Bham, and this is my new go-to. Beds were comfy, well appointed jr. suite, location on 280 is ideal, and I got much more value than what I paid for.

We stayed here during our road trip from New Orleans. I got it through a third party deal with Hotwire. The hotel was great, and in a good location. There were plenty of shopping malls and restaurants nearby. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was average (egg omelets, ham and waffle sticks) but pretty good. The hotel staff at the desk were very pleasant and helpful. My only criticism was that after we returned to our room after breakfast, they had already tossed our bedding and threw our full box of pizza away. We had already put our luggage in the car, but hadn't checked out, it wasn't even 9:00 yet, I mean really? I wanted to give it a 5 rating, but because of that incident I just couldn't. We didn't even bother to complain, just got in the car a left.

Our baseball team choose this hotel as home base for our players entered into the state baseball tournament. The staff handled the large group of boys and families with tact and consideration for all. The boys were allowed to have a good time within limits while considering the needs of all other hotel guests. The breakfast was good and constantly restocked so everyone had fresh food. The special rate given to our large group made it affordable for all.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times over the past year and Carol always goes out of her way to make her guests feel like family. This past week, the staff grilled burgers and hot dogs for the guests during the early evening. Property was recently renovated and the rooms are very comfortable, and internet works great. It's nice to have a "Home away from Home"! Will be back next visit to the area.

I have been staying here for the last year on a weekly basis. They always have clean rooms, and a courteous staff. Beautiful area with Oak Mountain nearby. The complimentary breakfast is great also. Sandra and Hanna always greet me with a smile, and are there if you need anything. If you are in the Birmingham area, I would recommend this hotel if you want a pleasant experience with friendly staff.

After a long hot day on a motorcycle, we pulled into this hotel. All I wanted was a cool room and something to eat. Misha was working the front desk. She greeted us with a beautiful smile and welcoming attitude. She also helped us get food delivered to the hotel. Which was a blessing after 550 miles in the hot sun. The bed was soft and heavenly. I actually looked to see what brand it was. We also enjoyed the full breakfast the next morning.

Great atmosphere, clean rooms, noce breakfast and feels like a home away from home. Management is very attentive to all guests and is on top of who's staying and accommodating for guests. All staff speak when in passing and always greeting with a beautiful smile. This location is out of the way from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet awesome dining is close by, as well as other venues. The staff here is awesome, the rooms are great as well as this is a fairly priced location. i would category this location as home away from home.

This was our first stay at this hotel and was very pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and the furnishings seemed up-scale. The hotel location was located far enough away from noisy interstate and local traffic. The hotel was located off highway 280 in some beautiful hills. The breakfast fare was typical and good. The only down side I found was about a 5 minute wait for the hot water for the shower. We will go back to this hotel again.

This was a very nice hotel. The staff were pleasant and showed real southern hospitality. It was so nice to be able to wash our clothes since we are on the road for two weeks. I would recommend the first floor rooms because I was able to get great views from the back. The rooms were nice and everything was clean. The breakfast was good with a variety to choose from. I would highly recommend.

Our family was driving from Wisconsin to Florida. We tried to drive straight through but we got too tired and decided to stop. I booked a hotel on a third-party site and received the confirmation email, however when we checked in, the hotel had no record of the confirmation. The desk attendant, Lavina, was incredibly understanding and worked hard to get my family into a room. We only stayed there for four hours but the room was clean and spacious. Thank you Lavina!

When i say ANGEL that what she is , not only is that her name thats what she exemplified !!!! Wonderful customer service and always greeting me and others with a warm smile. I ask her for places to visit while i was there and she already had locations printed out and told me of a few places that a MUST see!!!! Came to this hotel Friday night, everything was close and easy to find. Breakfast was great, clean room. The night clerk Todarius was amazing we needed extra blankets, he was fast and had smile while bringing them to us. Also our remote for Tv wasn't working and he had no problem bring us another one. I will be back here to stay.

My wife and I stayed at this Best Western last week and the experience convinced us to stay again when we returned to Birmingham this week. The hotel is spotless. Ashley, Chetna and Napolean all do a superb job at keeping the rooms and the building clean. They were all so nice and friendly and went out of their ways to accomodate us. Angel at the front desk was a life saver! We had computer, printer and scanning needs during our visit and when we ran into problems, she took care of everything, always with a smile on her face! We really felt like it was our home for the few days we were there. We have never stayed at a Best Western before, but our experiences at this location have made us loyal customers.

My husband's comment after checking out was, “This was the nicest Best Western we stayed at this entire (4 week) trip, and it was the cheapest!” Granted after finding it in rush hour traffic, we needed a good stay. If you plan on staying there, don't arrive during rush hour! It's a nightmare!

I am on the fence about 3 or 4, in the end I decided to stick with my 3. I used to stay at this hotel when it was a Wingate, it was very tired and worn out. They have spruced it up with fresh paint and carpet....but the bathroom is still old. I will say, this hotel is a good value; I paid $72 and in recent weeks I paid $81 at HI Express and $92 Hampton at Lee Branch (both nearby). Also, my wife wants me to tell you that the water pressure in the shower is very weak and the water was not very hot. Breakfast was on the low end of adequate; eggs watery, no yogurt or cottage cheese and the coffee was a syrup mix (not brewed coffee) which is a very weak offering. I'm in the hospital business and we serve this lame coffee at some facilities. It's embarrassing and I admit it.

Stayed on a family trip in December 2017. BW was easy to find and access from the highway. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Staff well informed about the area and local attractions as well as friendly to customers. Breakfast was good and a nice variety offered.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Reliable, fast wi-fi. Good restaurants nearby. Rush hour traffic on 280 can sometimes be a problem but generally accessible. Not much breakfast to speak of but similar to most properties under $125. The rooms are large and in 2018 were fresh and well decorated.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel and surprisingly it happened to be one of the best experience we have had. The hotel is well located, in a quiet area and there are a lot of restaurants close by. Check-in didn't take long. When we got to our room we kind of looked around just check if everything was fine due to some of the reviews we saw before going, some of them not so good. Fortunately everything looked fine: clean and cozy bathroom, plenty of towels; bedroom is large, clean sheets and comfortable bed; modern TV with a lot of channels, free Wi-Fi; heater and AC working fine; coffee machine and fridge. Breakfast is included and is buffet style like other hotels. The only thing about breakfast is there is not too many options. It was a pleasant stay and we will come back and recommend to other people.

Perfect location as it was 2 miles from family so we didn't need to rent a car! Hotel & room a little dirty. VERY noisy...the 2nd floor is a balcony type set up...bad bad design flaw. There were several groups during our stay and well morning & late night were not leisurely.

We were in town for work and stayed here for about 6 weeks so I feel like I got a good, honest description of the hotel. Clean parking area, well lit, and hotel is in a safe location. The hotel is centrally located within a short drive to many food and shopping options. Wifi was strong and I had no issues. Lobby area inviting, actually nicer than the rooms I thought. Breakfast wasn't so great. While the breakfast area is inviting and holds alot of people, if you go at certain times the food ran low. Eggs were always fine and there was waffles and yogurt and muffins. The potatoes were always undercooked, no matter how many different days I tried them. The meat option seemed to mostly be canadian bacon which was fine, just would have liked more options. The staff seemed mostly on the newer side (not quite up to speed on everything) but everyone we encountered was friendly. The front desk always had plenty of quarters for the laundry and I was provided free laundry soap when I ran out once. There is one washer and one dryer and sometimes it can be a wait to use it but both worked fine and got the job done. Due to checking out for a couple of weekend trips, we got to stay in about 4 different rooms during our stay. If you can, get the junior suites (I think that is what they are called). These are more spacious with a sofa and coffee table in them. The regular rooms were fine and had the same amentiies with the exception of the sofa/coffee table. The air conditioner worked great. My only complaint was that even though we had our Do Not Disturb sign on the door, there was 2 different times that housekeeping knocked and entered our room before we could get out of bed. Was not happy about this and did report it. Our rooms weren't immaculate, I did find a hair on the toilet once and in another room there was some dust but all in all there were fairly clean and nothing I needed to complain about. All 4 rooms had comfortable beds. We would absolutely stay here if in the area again as this hotel provided everything it promises and the rate was great for what we received.

This was a good motel. It impressed us from the first time we saw it at the end of 500 miles in the car that day. The exterior was impressive. The lobby and adjoining inside pool made a good second impression. When my wife found the complimentary "rubber ducky" on the shower in the bathroom she was impressed with the extra touch.

Hotel is about 20 minutes from downtown Birmingham and located 5 minutes or less from a variety of shops and restaurants, of which there is literally something for any taste. Very quiet location with clean and comfortable rooms and beds. Good breakfast in the mornings until 9 on the weekdays with a variety of hot and cold items. Only complaint was the front desk staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming. Was rare if they smiled or acknowledged your presence. Would stay here again for future Birmingham stays as the hotel is an excellent value for the money.

Room door would not lock the night of checkin and upon checkout I determined that if I lifted on the handle it would align the mexhanism to lock door. Unacceptable with my pregnant wife inside. Desk clerk said he would "pass it on"

We were traveling from Louisiana to North Carolina and decided we'd had enough of the road for one day. Instead of staying near the Interstate, we opted to take a small detour to this Best Western because the price was unbeatable, less than $70 on a Friday night. The low price turned out to be the least impressive quality. The staff (who I phoned directly and made the reservation with) were unfailing professional and polite. Always a bonus when you've been on the road all day. We were also super impressed with the room. It was 100% shipshape. The bathroom was spotless. The bedroom the same. The decor was modern, with photography of area landmarks (Vulcan, etc.) adding a nice local touch. It was also a little unusual in that it had a king bed and a nice long sofa on which to relax, instead of the typical one or two overstuffed chairs. The bed was a little more to the firm side than the soft side and very comfortable, as were the pillows. The free breakfast was solid, with a fair number of food options. The next time we're in the area, we'll definitely consider a stay here. It's not a luxury hotel -- but the staff and management do all the important things right -- and that's enough to earn this property my business again.

Their gym is pretty amazing and includes many extras not found in most motels--complete set of dumbbells, stretch bands, mats, exercise balls, etc. The room was clean & the bed slept well. However, they have "pillow top mattress covers" NOT "pillow top mattresses" as advertised. Plenty of electrical and USB plugs. Fantastic shower head, but extremely low water pressure (less that the usual). Lighting was ok. The breakfast would NOT be the reason you would stay at this Best Western location. It is the typical "out of the box, super high calorie" kinds of food that most motels serve nowadays, but lacked appeal. The ham slices had NO flavor even though they looked good. The other hot items were ok. The muffins and sweet rolls were of less quality and flavor than those usually found in other motels--NOT worth the calories for sure. And the juice bar was THE WORST I've experienced ever. They had three flavors that were watered down so much as to render them undrinkable. The dining area was very large, nice, clean, and open. I travel a lot, and from all appearance, management purchases the cheapest boxed food available and waters down the juices in order to save money. The good news is there are MANY excellent restaurants nearby that serve real Southern breakfasts, including Krispy Kreme Donuts. Overall we enjoyed our four nights stay. The location was good for us. The grounds and overall appearance of the motel are very nice and well kept. The multi-day discount made it a good value compared to other motels in the area at this time. However, given the breakfast and water pressure issues mentioned above, the value would disappear. If their prices were regular rates, and I would definitely choose another brand for the money and food.

We were visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday and found Best Western on Corporate Ridge very convenient for us to visit family and friends. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. The hotel was decorated nicely and very clean. The staff went far beyond normal expectations to make our four night stay enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared with a very attentive staff. We will be back.

The entire stay was superb. A good sized parking lot for my rental truck. Peaceful room, comfortable bed. Easy access to the highway but far enough away so there was no noise. Very safe location, in the middle of a business Park. Extensive and yummy selection at breakfast. This will be my first choice always for staying in Birmingham

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend, only to be cut short by waking up to be bitten by bugs in the bed!! When telling the front desk discreetly, they turned it around and made it seem like WE BROUGHT THEM IN!! After checking out immediately, we contacted corporate and was told someone would get back to us. After never getting a response (10 days), we called back AND emailed the manager personally. We were then told by the manager, we had admitted to bringing the bugs and corporate was sending us a $50 gift card for our troubles. WHAT??!!! Needless to say...does anybody want a gift card?? We won't be staying at Best Western again!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to say the least!!!

i did enjoy my family stay here. Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. Price was great for this hotel, i wasn't expecting Best Western to be that great but as my 8 yr old daughter said Best Western Plus means its better than normal!!!!

Great price, nice room. Traffic on 280 is horrible. Took me 45 minutes to get 12 miles from where I was for business to the hotel. Free wifi. Free breakfast. Nice corporate area. Plenty of parking. Nearby by lots of retail stores

We had stayed in this hotel a few ago when it was a Wingate. It has been beautifully remodeled. We had a great experience from start to finish! We did not have breakfast there but it looked great and smelled amazing!!

They failed to finish cleaning our room on the second day including making the beds and replacing the towels. the hot water did not work correctly you had to wiggle the lever which took a while to figure out. they had a power outage not there fault but just added to a bad stay. This is a nice hotel, they just need to pick up on some little things to make it worth the money.

Mr.Sherman again I do apologize for this weekend. We did have a transformer blow and were at the mercy of the power company to get it back up and running which was out of my control. I will however look into the other items you mentioned and do apologize for the mishaps. We strive to make our guests comfortable while they are here. I do hope you will give us another try and stay with us again.

My husband and I needed to travel from Knoxville TN to Birmingham to attend the funeral of a dear friend. A few days before, I called and made reservations for a handicapped accessible room. I asked the woman that I spoke with (Angel) if we could check in a bit early on the day of our arrival, so that we could freshen up and change clothes before going to the funeral at 4:00pm. She said that she would put it down but could not guarantee it. When we got there and asked about the early check in Angel smiled and said to let her go up and check. When she came back she said that they were just finishing up cleaning the room and it would only be a few minutes. By the time we got our things out of our car and onto a cart the room was ready. The room was clean, comfortable and seemed to have been recently updated. The free breakfast was better than I had had before. The eggs were freshly scrambled, the sausages were good and there were lots of extras, mushrooms, peppers and the like to make an omelet. Fresh juices, milk and coffee, fruits, cereals, yogurt, etc. My husband had forgotten his razor and asked a delightful young man with a beautiful smile, named Cory, if he could find him one, Cory quickly found one for him. Thank you Angel and Cory for helping us get through this trying time with as little worry as possible. I would suggest, if at all possible, the handicapped tub/shower could use a couple of extra bars in it (room 205) for safety.

The property was in excellent condition. Will stay at this location if my trip takes me to Birmingham, AL. The staff was very help full. Breakfast was good, rooms were nicely decorated, quite and comfortable. Thank you.

Nice facility but the loud music provided by the hotel "24/7" made it very difficult to rest/sleep. The first experience I have ever had when the hotel was responsible for making the noise. Very disappointing with the response that the hotel plays music "24/7".

I again apologize that you were uncomfortable. We do have music 24 hours a day but my staff would have been happy to have turned it down if you had called them. I have adjusted the sound.

Great hotel everything was wonderful. Nice location very quiet area. Restaurant and shopping wasn't far away. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Very clean hotel. I will be staying here in the future

The hotel was excellent. It was very modern in style and was close to everything. The room was very clean, had more than enough room, and had a lovely view. Breakfast was great! The only issue we encountered was the desk clerk when we checked in. She seemed to have an attitude with only us. She was very kind to the guests in line before us and was also responded with a giggle and grin to the male guests screaming, "God **** yo hair is looking good with the red" across the lobby. Unfortunately, when it was our turn to be checked in, her attitude changed. She was rude and snippy. She also cut us off in the middle of our sentences. When I asked if it would be possible to mail something from the hotel, she just pointed at where I should put it instead of using her words. Overall, her attitude was simply unacceptable. The clerk that was at the desk by morning was extremely kind and very professional.

The rooms were fairly standard and clean. I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room. The lobby looks updated and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was pretty good, the omlettes were the best part. I do wish they had more gluten free options. There was ample seating in the breakfast area though and the business center was great for printing out boarding passes. The wi-fi was reliable and I was able to stream videos without interruptions. Extending the pool hours in the summer evening would be nice since we never got to swim since it closed so early.

We found the staff of the hotel to be very friendy and helpful. It appears the hotel is being used by agents/processors for State Farm Insurance who travel to Birmingham for training very close by. The rooms are 'very tired.' The carpet reminds me of movie theater carpeting in need of replacement. The 'old place odor' was overbearing. We received some relief by purchasing deodorizing 'plug ins' while there. 'Breakfast' was barely. The bagels etc remind of 'day old' and the fruit (marginal) is past it's prime. We had no option but to stay since there were no vacancies in a wide radius due to 'Irma'

I'm sorry but I think you may have stayed at another Best Western Plus. Our hotel has brand new carpet has been newly remodeled. I could not find you in our system as staying at this location.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms where clean. They lived up to the pictures displayed in the preview. The internet worked great for someone who is on a business trip. Great location many restaurants around the area.

Excellent staff plus clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast included a good selections of items, except iced tea for non coffee drinkers! Hot water and air conditioner worked excellent. No noise. Very pleasant stay. We will be back.

We received nothing but a terrible time. Our first room received had not even been touched my room service. There were dirty cups, unclean sheets and urine on the toilet seat. We were moved to another room, there were hairs in the shower, as an adult I knew what kind they were and then my 18 month old child brought my husband and I a needle. Yep you ready that correctly. Have I made my point clear yet as to how our stay was?

Excellent service and great location. I would highly recommend this hotel to those needing to stay in Birmingham, AL. Pool area was also very clean. Complimentary water and coffee available 24-7.The bed was great and the room was great. A very nice place to stay for business or pleasure. We were there for a baby shower and really enjoyed our time in the room. Would stay again

We have stopped at this hotel on our way to Florida for the past 3 years! It recently changed ownership and I was not happy with the changes! We travel all day and look forward to relaxing in the pool at the end of the day, but it closed at 8pm! Will definitely be finding a different stop next year!

Me and my boyfriend were travelling for two weeks in the United States. Mostly we slept in the hotels/motels and I must say that Best Western Plus Birmingham Inn and Suites was the nicest hotel we slept in. Firstly, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we had trouble with Expedia.nl because we made a mistake with booking and Ms. Carol and Angel solved our problem immediately! So we would like to thank them again for their effort, understanding and friendliness! Secondly, the room was very spacious and clean and Lastly, we had very great breakfast with many options.Therefore if you are looking for a hotel for a great value for money, BW is highly recommended!

This is a super nice hotel. Everything looked brand new. It was nice a clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The evening desk clerk was very helpful. My only disappointment was they did not put out the spray for the waffle maker and it took a while to scrape my waffle out of the maker. Other then that it was a really nice hotel. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay. Very comfortable. Breakfast could have been better. Didn't like the frozen eggs. Meat selection could have been better as well. Beds were comfortable. The only issue we had was we had to pull the door up to get it to lock. It would not close all the way if we didn't. Overall was satisfied with our stay.

We stay here every time coming to Birmingham. Formerly another hotel brand. Love the location, services & rates. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Birmingham area. Enjoyable stay at BW Plus! Large spacious room. Wish had whirlpool but larger fitness center is fine.

The staff and hotel upon arrival was very helpful and clean. Our stay though only 1 night was very comfortable and relaxing. We had just finished a 12 hour drive into town on our way across the US and were a little tired. The night manager was on duty and greeted us with a smile and was very helpful in getting us settled. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel was amazing, when you walked through the door you see the waterfall and seating area. Dining area was roomy and loved they had hangout area for parents and kids with a tv., Everything is very up to date. The room was beautiful, bed was comfy. Pool is a little small but very nice with lounge chairs and table and chairs to hang out at. The staff was very friendly. They have washer/dryer, vending machines, ice machine all of which is a must for our travel team. And the bathroom hairdryer is better than mine..lol..Oh and the that part of town is beautiful with tons of shops and restaurants. The hotel sits on top of a hill, I had mountain view from our room, very nice. I am a very picky person when it comes to hotels and I wish I could fine one like this every time. We stay in hotels pretty much the whole summer traveling. So I highly recommend staying here,

We stayed here on our way to Panama City Beach. The suites are huge and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The staff was helpful and kind - esp. the lady preparing the breakfast items. It's located in a very nice area with restaurants nearby. We plan on staying here again next summer on our way to the beach! We love Best Western and this has been the nicest one yet!

This was the Wingate but has been remodeled and is now AMAZING!! Super clean and well maintained, pool is small but nice. The bed is a little to soft for my taste but that is personal preference. Wonderful hotel!!

We stayed here for one night. It was nicely remodeled and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. My only complaint is we were on the 4th floor and it took FOREVER to get hot water. So, we all ended up showering one right after another so the water wouldn't get cold. Also, the pool was only open until 8pm. I wish it were open a little later.

This hotel is beautifully renovated. They just need to pay attention to the details. Our room didn't have hot water, the sink was dirty and the sheets had stains. There is also a $100 incidental charge so BEWARE! Also they do not offer late check out for any reason! Even if you check in at 3am!

The hotel was one of the best I have stayed in. Of special interest was the beds. Our room had two Queen beds. They had very comfortable mattresses, the best I have experienced in any hotel. If I am ever traveling through Birmingham again, this hotel will be on my list to stay overnight.

This motel was excellent in everything. Staff, service and ease of check in. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast food as it was somewhat cold but over all the service was great. I would recommend this place as a great location for ease of access to downtown Birmingham.

This was a great hotel. Sent our school district down to Forensics Nationals. This hotel was a great place to stay. The staff is fantastic they went above and beyond to take care of our teachers and students. They actually arrived before check in time. They were very accommodating to them to get them settle after a long flight. Angel at the front desk is exceptional. There was confusion on our end, not the hotel and Angel treated the teachers and students like they were one of hers.

We were in town for my husband's class reunion. Had no problems with our stay here. The bed slept well and the breakfast was adequate. Would stay here again if in the area. The only problem we had was finding the correct way into the hotel. You can see it from the highway up on the hill but getting to the correct driveway is somewhat confusing. We were on the third floor close to the elevator in a room with a king size bed and a sleeper sofa. Room was clean and spacious.

This hotel is easy to get to, clean, well staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people who do their job efficiently and always with a smile. The breakfast was varied each day, hot and good tasting (and there was plenty). There was always ice in the ice machines. I felt more "at home" here than I ever felt at a Big Fancy Downtown Hotel. I definitely recommend the Best Western Plus Birmingham Inn & Suites.

Heavy rains and 6,00 kids for a debate competition. This hotel made an extra effort to get me in and with a professional, helpful attitude. I stayed an extra night and although packed they accomodated me.

Stayed there June 16, 2017. On the way to Panama City Beach I knew beforehand of the renovation of the breakfast area,so I wasn't concerned. Upon check in the lobby was very nice and we could see where they were updating that area, no problem. The room was updated and nice, the only disappointment was just one USB port and not enough electrical hookups. Bed was very comfortable, shower perfect, TV not so much. We were assigned a room on the fourth floor. I should mention here the configuration of the motel made it necessary to enter the elevator in the front door, but turn around to exit in the rear door, strange. Now comes my concern. As always I check for the exit signs when entering my room and knew where to go in case of an emergency. Little did I know the elevator broke down in the middle of the night so when we got up to leave there was no elevator service available. That is when I started looking for the exits. FROM ANYTHING ABOVE THE FIRST FLOOR THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY OUT!! That is walking down steps, going down a very long hallway, and then down two more flights which put you in the front lobby area. I'm not kidding people, this is a fire hazard waiting to happen. For a motel with this many rooms and floors to have only one elevator is ridiculous. I did complain to the clerk at check out about your opinion on the fire hazard and she did say it was cleared by the Fire Marshal. I whole heartedly disagree, I'll never ever stay there again and risk a tragedy. Besides all of this, it wasn't fun schlepping everything down four flights of stairs.

I would like to thank you for your recent stay. I do apologize for your inconvenience. There are two working elevators in the hallway located in the middle of the building. There are stairwells on each end of each hallway on every floor that are labeled. I'm sorry, but I've not been made aware until now that an elevator was out of service at any time. I do hope you will give us another try. We appreciate your feedback and I will look int the matter further.

This was the second time we stayed first time was Wingate, this stay was great. The only issue we had was the older blond woman who claimed to be the Sales Director. She would come in during breakfast hours and cackle and flirt with all the men. Forget us women who spent our money - she was very rude to us and very abrasive. Where did you find her?????? She even dressed like a floozy. All the other staff members were great, very helpful with directions and suggestions on where to eat. We were there for the senior games and look forward to next year - see you then.

Stayed here for niece's graduation. Seemed a bit out of the way, but turned out to be a short trip to the college campus, up 280. For the price, I wasn't expecting alot of ammenities - and we were wrong. Continental breakfast was a full on buffet with fresh made waffles, eggs, breakfast 'meat' choice (sausage one morning, bacon another), oatmeal, yogurt, bakery items, juices, fruit, etc. There's an outdoor swimming pool that opens Memorial day weekend, and an indoor fitness room, as well as a full use laundry room. WiFi throughout the hotel. Quick grab drinks/snacks. And way so much more. The room itself was amazing - we got a king suite for under $80/night after taxes, and it was HUGE. I was also impressed how quiet it was, no downtown city sounds at all, with a beautiful view of the foothills and night sky from our room. (I was actually shocked when we got back home, and realized our house in a country suburb gets more 'city noise' than the hotel room did!) Best part though? The staff - smiling, friendly, full of compliments and always willing to help! Will definitely be staying here again and again in the future! <3

Great service, smiling faces at every need, always willing to go the extra mile. Love the decor, very homey. First night there, I actually took pictures and sent to my wife to brag. This is a very upscale Hampton inn. Rooms are very nice, beds are comfortable, pillows (ok). Shower was good. Breakfast not that great. The oatmeal was soupy and there were no potatoes. But I would stay there again.

As General Manager of the new Best Western Plus Birmingham Inn and Suites I would like to personally thank you for your recent stay with us. Your feedback is very important to us.

This is a new BW and the room was clean with nice decor (not a fan of the carpet). The bed was excellent, light control was good and the breakfast good. The only problem was that our room had no cool setting on the AC and room was probably 72 plus degrees (the window had also been left open). On contacting the front desk, I was advised that the hotel was totally booked and we could not be moved to another room but that maintenance would be called to fix the problem, after the room had not cooled while we went to dinner (as the front desk said it would when first notified at 6:15 pm). On returning from dinner we found that Arturo had been there to fix the AC and we made another request at 7:45 pm. When Arturo hadn't arrived by 8:30 we again contacted Felicia (front desk person) who related that she had been unable to find Arturo, as he had left the building but she would keep looking. Arturo arrived at 9:00 pm and started work on the AC and after 2o minutes he said he needed to install a new sensor or replace the entire unit and left. At 10:00 pm Arturo came back and said that he had found us another room, must down the hall and would help us move. While moving , Arturo said that he was gong to put us in the room next door, but when he came back upstairs it had been given to someone else, so he had to find a second room, which he did (and all this in a hotel that was totally booked up. We then had a good night's sleep with a working AC unit. While waiting for Arturo, I contacted BW customer service and filed a complaint and was issued file #1704217448 and they also advised that they really couldn't dol anything for us. The front desk should not have kept stating "I can't do anything for you" which made us feel less than a valued BW Rewards member.

Had a good nights stay while traveling. Just a few miles off the interstate and convenient to several places for meals. The breakfast buffet was good with a variety of items. Clean and comfortable room.

Stayed one night. first there was an issue with our room air conditioner, called the front desk night manager was knocking at our door in minutes and was planning to change out unit but gave us another room so we wouldn't have to wait. Rooms are newly renovated with comfortable beds and spotless. Staff and managers were so kind and u can tell they care about customer service !! Thanks to all the staff and managers Mike and Renee for making our stay comfortable, safe and friendly.

The beds were very comfortable!! The front desk help was polite and courteous. Hotel was clean and updated. Parking was convenient. Centrally located also. The continental breakfast could be improved.

The hotel is clean and new, but the congenial staff make it a pleasure to stay here. I slept well and enjoyed the full breakfast in the morning. The restaurant just down the street was very convenient at the end of a long day. I will stay here again.

We recently picked this hotel primarily for the location as we were visiting relatives and wanted an easy route to their house while staying out of Hwy 280 traffic. The location was excellent for us. The hotel has recently switched from Wingate to Best Western and has undergone renovations. Our room was nice, very quiet and staff--especially the breakfast attendant--were professional and helpful. The hotel still has some renovations to complete. The fitness room could use some attention, as the treadmill was not level on the floor and wobbled, as did the recumbent bike. We were very impressed with how quiet our room was (and we were near an outside side door) but never heard any other guests. Bed was very comfortable, everything worked, toiletries were nice, towels were soft. Lobby has a new modern feel. Would consider the hotel to be excellent once all renovations are complete!

Though the hotel is undergoing a complete upgrade, our stay was excellent! The newly redone room had a beautifully appointed full bath with high-end bath products. The bed was excellent - very comfortable! The construction was not intrusive at all! We definitely will return!

Even though the hotel was being renovated, it was still very clean and quiet. The areas where the renovations were being made was very organized and away from where guests gathered.
