    « Home away from home »

    I have been staying here for the last year on a weekly basis. They always have clean rooms, and a courteous staff. Beautiful area with Oak Mountain nearby. The complimentary breakfast is great also. Sandra and Hanna always greet me with a smile, and are there if you need anything. If you are in the Birmingham area, I would recommend this hotel if you want a pleasant experience with friendly staff.

    After a long hot day on a motorcycle, we pulled into this hotel. All I wanted was a cool room and something to eat. Misha was working the front desk. She greeted us with a beautiful smile and welcoming attitude. She also helped us get food delivered to the hotel. Which was a blessing after 550 miles in the hot sun. The bed was soft and heavenly. I actually looked to see what brand it was. We also enjoyed the full breakfast the next morning.

    « People that actually care! »

    Mrs. Carole Glover a lovely woman. Professional and a asset to her position as a general manager for the Best Western Plus in Birmingham, Alabama. Plus her compassion for her guest is overwhelming. At the front desk Mrs. Misha you can not find a desk clerk and host anywhere as more professional and willing to accommodate her guest. Also is an asset to the Best Western Plus in Birmingham, Alabama and she always has a smile on her face. Mrs. Angel desk clerk and host as well is second to non herself compliments the same as Mrs. Misha. The Directer of Sales Mrs. Shannon beautiful, smart, and intelligent is always trying to do the best for the Best Western Plus in Birmingham, Alabama and then some! Last but not least Mrs. Hanna in house keeping is very hardworking, pretty as well and always greets customers with a smile as well as Yes Mam and Yes Sir. PS Not discluding any of her staff because they all do a job well done. We just know these 5 staff by name. Sincerely Cameron Phillips and David Phillips room 408 we Thank you again!

    Absolutely some of the best hospitality and customer service. Great hotel to stay at and would definitely recommend if ever passing through the area and need a nice place to stay. Great atmosphere, clean rooms, noce breakfast and feels like a home away from home. Management is very attentive to all guests and is on top of who's staying and accommodating for guests. All staff speak when in passing and always greeting with a beautiful smile. Thank you Mrs. Carole and your staff for all your hard work and dedication to providing great service and a great place to stay!!! 5 Stars ??????????

    This was a beautiful hotel, and excellent for the price. Hotel staff was friendly and I would definitely recommend staying here. Having a quality complimentary breakfast was a plus. Only wish we could use the pool during our stay since it was nice weather

    The hotel was very clean, quiet, and conveniently located on Highway 280. The hotel staff were great. Lawrence and Angel made check in and check out very easy. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Burmingham area.

    This location is out of the way from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet awesome dining is close by, as well as other venues. The staff here is awesome, the rooms are great as well as this is a fairly priced location. i would category this location as home away from home.

    « Very pleasent stay »

    This was our first stay at this hotel and was very pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and the furnishings seemed up-scale. The hotel location was located far enough away from noisy interstate and local traffic. The hotel was located off highway 280 in some beautiful hills. The breakfast fare was typical and good. The only down side I found was about a 5 minute wait for the hot water for the shower. We will go back to this hotel again.

    « Away from the highway ..whew »

    Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located on top of a hill, isolated from the traffic and noise. All the amenities and friendly staff. There is a shopping center nearby with restaurants but unfortunately none within walking distance. I will make this my go-to when in Birmingham for work.

    « Pleasant stay, all you need while on the road. »

    First time in Best Western and looking forward for another stay. Nice hotel, very secluded and safe location, not far from highways even from I-65 where we were traveling on. Many food places, near by to chose from. Hotel itself is remodeled, clean and cozy. We liked the location and appeal and booked when arrived, through one of the travel apps. Great value. Highly recommending,

    « Very nice hotel »

    This was a very nice hotel. The staff were pleasant and showed real southern hospitality. It was so nice to be able to wash our clothes since we are on the road for two weeks. I would recommend the first floor rooms because I was able to get great views from the back. The rooms were nice and everything was clean. The breakfast was good with a variety to choose from. I would highly recommend.

    « Fun in Birmingham »

    We stayed at the Best Western Plus on Corprate Ridge drive in Birmingham. From start to finish it was awesome and there was one person we have to say Thanks to. Angel T. At the front desk was so awesome and she was the first face we saw. She was at the front desk with a smile and so very helpful. Any questions we had she answered and made sure our stay was enjoyable.     « Friendly and Understanding Staff »

    Our family was driving from Wisconsin to Florida. We tried to drive straight through but we got too tired and decided to stop. I booked a hotel on a third-party site and received the confirmation email, however when we checked in, the hotel had no record of the confirmation. The desk attendant, Lavina, was incredibly understanding and worked hard to get my family into a room. We only stayed there for four hours but the room was clean and spacious. Thank you Lavina!

    I looked for reviews on this hotel and found many positive reports. We were traveling from Branson, Missouri on our way home to Georgia. We were greeted by the desk clerk I believe his name was Lawerence and he greeted us with a smile and was very helpful in choosing a room for our short stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area.

    This hotel is wonderful. Every time I'm here, I have a great experience. All the managers and staff are so friendly and helpful. The front desk assistant, Angel, is awesome and such a good worker. The breakfast is good and the rooms are clean. The many staff members at this hotel are excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Clean rooms, love the breakfast, easy to access different stores. I love the express check that was offered by Tadarius. He made the process of staying here easy and answered any questions we had! Only negative is the side doors doesn't work with keys but Tadarius explained to us the issues and helped easy our worries! We love this place and have already made another reservation to stay Thanks

    When i say ANGEL that what she is , not only is that her name thats what she exemplified !!!! Wonderful customer service and always greeting me and others with a warm smile. I ask her for places to visit while i was there and she already had locations printed out and told me of a few places that a MUST see!!!! The hotel staff was very nice and the places not only smell good and LOOK good it was alllllllllllll GOOD!!!!!!! I truly enjoyed my stay cant wait to stay there again and I would recommend this hotel. I personally give them a 5 (*)= FIVE STAR

    « Great Hotel, Great Customer Service »

    Came to this hotel Friday night, everything was close and easy to find. Breakfast was great, clean room. The night clerk Todarius was amazing we needed extra blankets, he was fast and had smile while bringing them to us. Also our remote for Tv wasn't working and he had no problem bring us another one. I will be back here to stay.

    « Feels Like Home! »

    My wife and I stayed at this Best Western last week and the experience convinced us to stay again when we returned to Birmingham this week. The hotel is spotless. Ashley, Chetna and Napolean all do a superb job at keeping the rooms and the building clean. They were all so nice and friendly and went out of their ways to accomodate us. Angel at the front desk was a life saver! We had computer, printer and scanning needs during our visit and when we ran into problems, she took care of everything, always with a smile on her face! We really felt like it was our home for the few days we were there. We have never stayed at a Best Western before, but our experiences at this location have made us loyal customers.

    « Great hotel, great rates! »

    My husband's comment after checking out was, ?This was the nicest Best Western we stayed at this entire (4 week) trip, and it was the cheapest!? Granted after finding it in rush hour traffic, we needed a good stay. If you plan on staying there, don't arrive during rush hour! It's a nightmare!

    « Spruced up older hotel, good value »

    I am on the fence about 3 or 4, in the end I decided to stick with my 3. I used to stay at this hotel when it was a Wingate, it was very tired and worn out. They have spruced it up with fresh paint and carpet....but the bathroom is still old. I will say, this hotel is a good value; I paid $72 and in recent weeks I paid $81 at HI Express and $92 Hampton at Lee Branch (both nearby). Also, my wife wants me to tell you that the water pressure in the shower is very weak and the water was not very hot. Breakfast was on the low end of adequate; eggs watery, no yogurt or cottage cheese and the coffee was a syrup mix (not brewed coffee) which is a very weak offering. I'm in the hospital business and we serve this lame coffee at some facilities. It's embarrassing and I admit it.

    Stayed on a family trip in December 2017. BW was easy to find and access from the highway. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Staff well informed about the area and local attractions as well as friendly to customers. Breakfast was good and a nice variety offered.

    « Hampton / Hilton Garden / Hyatt Place Equivalent - $40 less »

    Comfortable, clean rooms. Reliable, fast wi-fi. Good restaurants nearby. Rush hour traffic on 280 can sometimes be a problem but generally accessible. Not much breakfast to speak of but similar to most properties under $125. The rooms are large and in 2018 were fresh and well decorated.

    « Nice Stay in Birmingham »

    We spent 2 nights in this hotel and surprisingly it happened to be one of the best experience we have had. The hotel is well located, in a quiet area and there are a lot of restaurants close by. Check-in didn't take long. When we got to our room we kind of looked around just check if everything was fine due to some of the reviews we saw before going, some of them not so good. Fortunately everything looked fine: clean and cozy bathroom, plenty of towels; bedroom is large, clean sheets and comfortable bed; modern TV with a lot of channels, free Wi-Fi; heater and AC working fine; coffee machine and fridge. Breakfast is included and is buffet style like other hotels. The only thing about breakfast is there is not too many options. It was a pleasant stay and we will come back and recommend to other people.

    « Ok stay »

    Perfect location as it was 2 miles from family so we didn't need to rent a car! Hotel & room a little dirty. VERY noisy...the 2nd floor is a balcony type set up...bad bad design flaw. There were several groups during our stay and well morning & late night were not leisurely.

    « Poor Condition of room »

    Our heater or window leaked. the floor was soaked by morning. I reported to the manager. She gave us 5,000 reward points for our trouble. 3 wet suitcases and a ruined laptop. I was very unhappy with the quality of the room and service. This is the second time we used this hotel. Never again!!

    « A ONE NIGHT STAY AT B/W OFF US 280 »

    I needed to get a recharged after driving all day and knew that most B/W Plus properties had previously provided good service. This property was no exception. I enjoyed the rest. The price was reasonable and the all around service was pretty good.

    « Stayed here for a little over a month »

    We were in town for work and stayed here for about 6 weeks so I feel like I got a good, honest description of the hotel. Clean parking area, well lit, and hotel is in a safe location. The hotel is centrally located within a short drive to many food and shopping options. Wifi was strong and I had no issues. Lobby area inviting, actually nicer than the rooms I thought. Breakfast wasn't so great. While the breakfast area is inviting and holds alot of people, if you go at certain times the food ran low. Eggs were always fine and there was waffles and yogurt and muffins. The potatoes were always undercooked, no matter how many different days I tried them. The meat option seemed to mostly be canadian bacon which was fine, just would have liked more options. The staff seemed mostly on the newer side (not quite up to speed on everything) but everyone we encountered was friendly. The front desk always had plenty of quarters for the laundry and I was provided free laundry soap when I ran out once. There is one washer and one dryer and sometimes it can be a wait to use it but both worked fine and got the job done. Due to checking out for a couple of weekend trips, we got to stay in about 4 different rooms during our stay. If you can, get the junior suites (I think that is what they are called). These are more spacious with a sofa and coffee table in them. The regular rooms were fine and had the same amentiies with the exception of the sofa/coffee table. The air conditioner worked great. My only complaint was that even though we had our Do Not Disturb sign on the door, there was 2 different times that housekeeping knocked and entered our room before we could get out of bed. Was not happy about this and did report it. Our rooms weren't immaculate, I did find a hair on the toilet once and in another room there was some dust but all in all there were fairly clean and nothing I needed to complain about. All 4 rooms had comfortable beds. We would absolutely stay here if in the area again as this hotel provided everything it promises and the rate was great for what we received.

    « Good place to stay »

    This was a good motel. It impressed us from the first time we saw it at the end of 500 miles in the car that day. The exterior was impressive. The lobby and adjoining inside pool made a good second impression. When my wife found the complimentary "rubber ducky" on the shower in the bathroom she was impressed with the extra touch.

    « Great Location on 280 »

    Hotel is about 20 minutes from downtown Birmingham and located 5 minutes or less from a variety of shops and restaurants, of which there is literally something for any taste. Very quiet location with clean and comfortable rooms and beds. Good breakfast in the mornings until 9 on the weekdays with a variety of hot and cold items. Only complaint was the front desk staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming. Was rare if they smiled or acknowledged your presence. Would stay here again for future Birmingham stays as the hotel is an excellent value for the money.

    « Door wouldn't lock. »

    Room door would not lock the night of checkin and upon checkout I determined that if I lifted on the handle it would align the mexhanism to lock door. Unacceptable with my pregnant wife inside. Desk clerk said he would "pass it on"

    The wife and I stayed here on our way to New Orleans. Check in was a breeze. The place looked remodeled. Our room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. If you are looking for a hotel that is clean, safe, and cheap this is your place.

    Room was clean and updated. Bed very comfortable. Room generous sized. Breakfast was okay. We stayed for 6 days and pastries were stale every day. We had an issue with all the lamps except 1 not working, but it was resolved.

    « A pleasant oasis on a road trip »

    We were traveling from Louisiana to North Carolina and decided we'd had enough of the road for one day. Instead of staying near the Interstate, we opted to take a small detour to this Best Western because the price was unbeatable, less than $70 on a Friday night. The low price turned out to be the least impressive quality. The staff (who I phoned directly and made the reservation with) were unfailing professional and polite. Always a bonus when you've been on the road all day. We were also super impressed with the room. It was 100% shipshape. The bathroom was spotless. The bedroom the same. The decor was modern, with photography of area landmarks (Vulcan, etc.) adding a nice local touch. It was also a little unusual in that it had a king bed and a nice long sofa on which to relax, instead of the typical one or two overstuffed chairs. The bed was a little more to the firm side than the soft side and very comfortable, as were the pillows. The free breakfast was solid, with a fair number of food options. The next time we're in the area, we'll definitely consider a stay here. It's not a luxury hotel -- but the staff and management do all the important things right -- and that's enough to earn this property my business again.

    « Great Location & Room--Breakfast, not so much! »

    Their gym is pretty amazing and includes many extras not found in most motels--complete set of dumbbells, stretch bands, mats, exercise balls, etc. The room was clean & the bed slept well. However, they have "pillow top mattress covers" NOT "pillow top mattresses" as advertised. Plenty of electrical and USB plugs. Fantastic shower head, but extremely low water pressure (less that the usual). Lighting was ok. The breakfast would NOT be the reason you would stay at this Best Western location. It is the typical "out of the box, super high calorie" kinds of food that most motels serve nowadays, but lacked appeal. The ham slices had NO flavor even though they looked good. The other hot items were ok. The muffins and sweet rolls were of less quality and flavor than those usually found in other motels--NOT worth the calories for sure. And the juice bar was THE WORST I've experienced ever. They had three flavors that were watered down so much as to render them undrinkable. The dining area was very large, nice, clean, and open. I travel a lot, and from all appearance, management purchases the cheapest boxed food available and waters down the juices in order to save money. The good news is there are MANY excellent restaurants nearby that serve real Southern breakfasts, including Krispy Kreme Donuts. Overall we enjoyed our four nights stay. The location was good for us. The grounds and overall appearance of the motel are very nice and well kept. The multi-day discount made it a good value compared to other motels in the area at this time. However, given the breakfast and water pressure issues mentioned above, the value would disappear. If their prices were regular rates, and I would definitely choose another brand for the money and food.

    « Great stay.... »

    We were visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday and found Best Western on Corporate Ridge very convenient for us to visit family and friends. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. The hotel was decorated nicely and very clean. The staff went far beyond normal expectations to make our four night stay enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared with a very attentive staff. We will be back.

    Stay here while I am working in Birmingham. The owner is so genuinely friendly that if the place isn't perfect, I probably would overlook it! Clean, up to date, great location. Serves free breakfast. Has washer/dryer which has been so helpful on my longer trips.

    We have never been to Birmingham, We went to the Alabama football game. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was awesome. The staff was courteous and helpful. If we get this way again we will stay at this hotel.

    The entire stay was superb. A good sized parking lot for my rental truck. Peaceful room, comfortable bed. Easy access to the highway but far enough away so there was no noise. Very safe location, in the middle of a business Park. Extensive and yummy selection at breakfast. This will be my first choice always for staying in Birmingham

    « BUGS!!!! »

    My husband and I stayed here for a weekend, only to be cut short by waking up to be bitten by bugs in the bed!! When telling the front desk discreetly, they turned it around and made it seem like WE BROUGHT THEM IN!! After checking out immediately, we contacted corporate and was told someone would get back to us. After never getting a response (10 days), we called back AND emailed the manager personally. We were then told by the manager, we had admitted to bringing the bugs and corporate was sending us a $50 gift card for our troubles. WHAT??!!! Needless to say...does anybody want a gift card?? We won't be staying at Best Western again!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to say the least!!!

    Great price, nice room. Traffic on 280 is horrible. Took me 45 minutes to get 12 miles from where I was for business to the hotel. Free wifi. Free breakfast. Nice corporate area. Plenty of parking. Nearby by lots of retail stores

    « Needed some work »

    They failed to finish cleaning our room on the second day including making the beds and replacing the towels. the hot water did not work correctly you had to wiggle the lever which took a while to figure out. they had a power outage not there fault but just added to a bad stay. This is a nice hotel, they just need to pick up on some little things to make it worth the money.

    Mr.Sherman again I do apologize for this weekend. We did have a transformer blow and were at the mercy of the power company to get it back up and running which was out of my control. I will however look into the other items you mentioned and do apologize for the mishaps. We strive to make our guests comfortable while they are here.     « Wonderful people, Great Hotel »

    My husband and I needed to travel from Knoxville TN to Birmingham to attend the funeral of a dear friend. A few days before, I called and made reservations for a handicapped accessible room. I asked the woman that I spoke with (Angel) if we could check in a bit early on the day of our arrival, so that we could freshen up and change clothes before going to the funeral at 4:00pm. She said that she would put it down but could not guarantee it. When we got there and asked about the early check in Angel smiled and said to let her go up and check. When she came back she said that they were just finishing up cleaning the room and it would only be a few minutes. By the time we got our things out of our car and onto a cart the room was ready. The room was clean, comfortable and seemed to have been recently updated. The free breakfast was better than I had had before. The eggs were freshly scrambled, the sausages were good and there were lots of extras, mushrooms, peppers and the like to make an omelet. Fresh juices, milk and coffee, fruits, cereals, yogurt, etc. My husband had forgotten his razor and asked a delightful young man with a beautiful smile, named Cory, if he could find him one, Cory quickly found one for him. Thank you Angel and Cory for helping us get through this trying time with as little worry as possible. I would suggest, if at all possible, the handicapped tub/shower could use a couple of extra bars in it (room 205) for safety.

    Nice facility but the loud music provided by the hotel "24/7" made it very difficult to rest/sleep. The first experience I have ever had when the hotel was responsible for making the noise. Very disappointing with the response that the hotel plays music "24/7".

    « Great hotel, rude front desk clerk. »

    The hotel was excellent. It was very modern in style and was close to everything. The room was very clean, had more than enough room, and had a lovely view. Breakfast was great! The only issue we encountered was the desk clerk when we checked in. She seemed to have an attitude with only us. She was very kind to the guests in line before us and was also responded with a giggle and grin to the male guests screaming, "God **** yo hair is looking good with the red" across the lobby. Unfortunately, when it was our turn to be checked in, her attitude changed. She was rude and snippy. She also cut us off in the middle of our sentences. When I asked if it would be possible to mail something from the hotel, she just pointed at where I should put it instead of using her words. Overall, her attitude was simply unacceptable. The clerk that was at the desk by morning was extremely kind and very professional.

    « good location and clean »

    The rooms were fairly standard and clean. I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room. The lobby looks updated and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was pretty good, the omlettes were the best part. I do wish they had more gluten free options. There was ample seating in the breakfast area though and the business center was great for printing out boarding passes. The wi-fi was reliable and I was able to stream videos without interruptions. Extending the pool hours in the summer evening would be nice since we never got to swim since it closed so early.

    « Hurricane Irma escape »

    We found the staff of the hotel to be very friendy and helpful. It appears the hotel is being used by agents/processors for State Farm Insurance who travel to Birmingham for training very close by. The rooms are 'very tired.' The carpet reminds me of movie theater carpeting in need of replacement. The 'old place odor' was overbearing. We received some relief by purchasing deodorizing 'plug ins' while there. 'Breakfast' was barely. The bagels etc remind of 'day old' and the fruit (marginal) is past it's prime. We had no option but to stay since there were no vacancies in a wide radius due to 'Irma'

    « I have nothing more to say about the experience we received. Just know it was absolutely awful. »

    We received nothing but a terrible time. Our first room received had not even been touched my room service. There were dirty cups, unclean sheets and urine on the toilet seat. We were moved to another room, there were hairs in the shower, as an adult I knew what kind they were and then my 18 month old child brought my husband and I a needle. Yep you ready that correctly. Have I made my point clear yet as to how our stay was?

    We have stopped at this hotel on our way to Florida for the past 3 years! It recently changed ownership and I was not happy with the changes! We travel all day and look forward to relaxing in the pool at the end of the day, but it closed at 8pm! Will definitely be finding a different stop next year!

    « Great service »

    Me and my boyfriend were travelling for two weeks in the United States. Mostly we slept in the hotels/motels and I must say that Best Western Plus Birmingham Inn and Suites was the nicest hotel we slept in. Firstly, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we had trouble with Expedia.nl because we made a mistake with booking and Ms. Carol and Angel solved our problem immediately! So we would like to thank them again for their effort, understanding and friendliness! Secondly, the room was very spacious and clean and Lastly, we had very great breakfast with many options.Therefore if you are looking for a hotel for a great value for money, BW is highly recommended!

    This is a super nice hotel. Everything looked brand new. It was nice a clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The evening desk clerk was very helpful. My only disappointment was they did not put out the spray for the waffle maker and it took a while to scrape my waffle out of the maker. Other then that it was a really nice hotel. Would stay there again.

    « Nice hotel! »

    Great place to stay. Very comfortable. Breakfast could have been better. Didn't like the frozen eggs. Meat selection could have been better as well. Beds were comfortable. The only issue we had was we had to pull the door up to get it to lock. It would not close all the way if we didn't. Overall was satisfied with our stay.

    The staff and hotel upon arrival was very helpful and clean. Our stay though only 1 night was very comfortable and relaxing. We had just finished a 12 hour drive into town on our way across the US and were a little tired. The night manager was on duty and greeted us with a smile and was very helpful in getting us settled.     The hotel was amazing, when you walked through the door you see the waterfall and seating area. Dining area was roomy and loved they had hangout area for parents and kids with a tv., Everything is very up to date. The room was beautiful, bed was comfy. Pool is a little small but very nice with lounge chairs and table and chairs to hang out at. The staff was very friendly. They have washer/dryer, vending machines, ice machine all of which is a must for our travel team. And the bathroom hairdryer is better than mine..lol..Oh and the that part of town is beautiful with tons of shops and restaurants. The hotel sits on top of a hill, I had mountain view from our room, very nice. I am a very picky person when it comes to hotels and I wish I could fine one like this every time. We stay in hotels pretty much the whole summer traveling. So I highly recommend staying here,

    We stayed here on our way to Panama City Beach. The suites are huge and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The staff was helpful and kind - esp. the lady preparing the breakfast items. It's located in a very nice area with restaurants nearby. We plan on staying here again next summer on our way to the beach! We love Best Western and this has been the nicest one yet!

    This was the Wingate but has been remodeled and is now AMAZING!! Super clean and well maintained, pool is small but nice. The bed is a little to soft for my taste but that is personal preference. Wonderful hotel!!

    Front desk lady was rude. We had ants in our room and they were totally rude to me when I told them about it. Never apologized for what had happened and the inconvenience The woman also said the room don't get cleaned up daily if your stay is longer than 2 days

    « Good accommodations »

    We stayed here for one night. It was nicely remodeled and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. My only complaint is we were on the 4th floor and it took FOREVER to get hot water. So, we all ended up showering one right after another so the water wouldn't get cold. Also, the pool was only open until 8pm. I wish it were open a little later.

    This is our second long weekend stay at Best Western Plus Birmingham Inn & Suites, Birmingham, ALABAMA in the past 2 months. Decor is attractive and facilities are functional and pleasant. Nice breakfast choices and comfortably adequate seating with a view of the pool.

    « Nice Hotel-NO LATE CHECK OUT »

    This hotel is beautifully renovated. They just need to pay attention to the details. Our room didn't have hot water, the sink was dirty and the sheets had stains. There is also a $100 incidental charge so BEWARE! Also they do not offer late check out for any reason! Even if you check in at 3am!

    The hotel was one of the best I have stayed in. Of special interest was the beds. Our room had two Queen beds. They had very comfortable mattresses, the best I have experienced in any hotel. If I am ever traveling through Birmingham again, this hotel will be on my list to stay overnight.

    This motel was excellent in everything. Staff, service and ease of check in. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast food as it was somewhat cold but over all the service was great. I would recommend this place as a great location for ease of access to downtown Birmingham.

    This was a great hotel. Sent our school district down to Forensics Nationals. This hotel was a great place to stay. The staff is fantastic they went above and beyond to take care of our teachers and students. They actually arrived before check in time. They were very accommodating to them to get them settle after a long flight. Angel at the front desk is exceptional. There was confusion on our end, not the hotel and Angel treated the teachers and students like they were one of hers.

    We were in town for my husband's class reunion. Had no problems with our stay here. The bed slept well and the breakfast was adequate. Would stay here again if in the area. The only problem we had was finding the correct way into the hotel. You can see it from the highway up on the hill but getting to the correct driveway is somewhat confusing. We were on the third floor close to the elevator in a room with a king size bed and a sleeper sofa. Room was clean and spacious.

    « Good Staff Good Service »

    This hotel is easy to get to, clean, well staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people who do their job efficiently and always with a smile. The breakfast was varied each day, hot and good tasting (and there was plenty). There was always ice in the ice machines. I felt more "at home" here than I ever felt at a Big Fancy Downtown Hotel. I definitely recommend the Best Western Plus Birmingham Inn & Suites.

    Heavy rains and 6,00 kids for a debate competition. This hotel made an extra effort to get me in and with a professional, helpful attitude. I stayed an extra night and although packed they accomodated me.

    « Be very CAREFUL! »

    Stayed there June 16, 2017. On the way to Panama City Beach I knew beforehand of the renovation of the breakfast area,so I wasn't concerned. Upon check in the lobby was very nice and we could see where they were updating that area, no problem. The room was updated and nice, the only disappointment was just one USB port and not enough electrical hookups. Bed was very comfortable, shower perfect, TV not so much. We were assigned a room on the fourth floor. I should mention here the configuration of the motel made it necessary to enter the elevator in the front door, but turn around to exit in the rear door, strange. Now comes my concern. As always I check for the exit signs when entering my room and knew where to go in case of an emergency. Little did I know the elevator broke down in the middle of the night so when we got up to leave there was no elevator service available. That is when I started looking for the exits. FROM ANYTHING ABOVE THE FIRST FLOOR THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY OUT!! That is walking down steps, going down a very long hallway, and then down two more flights which put you in the front lobby area. I'm not kidding people, this is a fire hazard waiting to happen. For a motel with this many rooms and floors to have only one elevator is ridiculous. I did complain to the clerk at check out about your opinion on the fire hazard and she did say it was cleared by the Fire Marshal. I whole heartedly disagree, I'll never ever stay there again and risk a tragedy. Besides all of this, it wasn't fun schlepping everything down four flights of stairs.

    I would like to thank you for your recent stay. I do apologize for your inconvenience. There are two working elevators in the hallway located in the middle of the building. There are stairwells on each end of each hallway on every floor that are labeled. I'm sorry, but I've not been made aware until now that an elevator was out of service at any time. I do hope you will give us another try. We appreciate your feedback and I will look int the matter further.

    This was the second time we stayed first time was Wingate, this stay was great. The only issue we had was the older blond woman who claimed to be the Sales Director. She would come in during breakfast hours and cackle and flirt with all the men. Forget us women who spent our money - she was very rude to us and very abrasive. Where did you find her?????? She even dressed like a floozy. All the other staff members were great, very helpful with directions and suggestions on where to eat. We were there for the senior games and look forward to next year - see you then.

    « Awesome stay for incredible price »

    Stayed here for niece's graduation. Seemed a bit out of the way, but turned out to be a short trip to the college campus, up 280. For the price, I wasn't expecting alot of ammenities - and we were wrong. Continental breakfast was a full on buffet with fresh made waffles, eggs, breakfast 'meat' choice (sausage one morning, bacon another), oatmeal, yogurt, bakery items, juices, fruit, etc. There's an outdoor swimming pool that opens Memorial day weekend, and an indoor fitness room, as well as a full use laundry room. WiFi throughout the hotel. Quick grab drinks/snacks. And way so much more. The room itself was amazing - we got a king suite for under $80/night after taxes, and it was HUGE. I was also impressed how quiet it was, no downtown city sounds at all, with a beautiful view of the foothills and night sky from our room. (I was actually shocked when we got back home, and realized our house in a country suburb gets more 'city noise' than the hotel room did!) Best part though? The staff - smiling, friendly, full of compliments and always willing to help! Will definitely be staying here again and again in the future! <3

    This is a very upscale Hampton inn. Rooms are very nice, beds are comfortable, pillows (ok). Shower was good. Breakfast not that great. The oatmeal was soupy and there were no potatoes. But I would stay there again.

    « Too hot »

    This is a new BW and the room was clean with nice decor (not a fan of the carpet). The bed was excellent, light control was good and the breakfast good. The only problem was that our room had no cool setting on the AC and room was probably 72 plus degrees (the window had also been left open). On contacting the front desk, I was advised that the hotel was totally booked and we could not be moved to another room but that maintenance would be called to fix the problem, after the room had not cooled while we went to dinner (as the front desk said it would when first notified at 6:15 pm). On returning from dinner we found that Arturo had been there to fix the AC and we made another request at 7:45 pm. When Arturo hadn't arrived by 8:30 we again contacted Felicia (front desk person) who related that she had been unable to find Arturo, as he had left the building but she would keep looking. Arturo arrived at 9:00 pm and started work on the AC and after 2o minutes he said he needed to install a new sensor or replace the entire unit and left. At 10:00 pm Arturo came back and said that he had found us another room, must down the hall and would help us move. While moving , Arturo said that he was gong to put us in the room next door, but when he came back upstairs it had been given to someone else, so he had to find a second room, which he did (and all this in a hotel that was totally booked up. We then had a good night's sleep with a working AC unit. While waiting for Arturo, I contacted BW customer service and filed a complaint and was issued file #1704217448 and they also advised that they really couldn't dol anything for us. The front desk should not have kept stating "I can't do anything for you" which made us feel less than a valued BW Rewards member.

    Had a good nights stay while traveling. Just a few miles off the interstate and convenient to several places for meals. The breakfast buffet was good with a variety of items. Clean and comfortable room.

    « Night stay heading to Florida »

    Stayed one night. first there was an issue with our room air conditioner, called the front desk night manager was knocking at our door in minutes and was planning to change out unit but gave us another room so we wouldn't have to wait. Rooms are newly renovated with comfortable beds and spotless. Staff and managers were so kind and u can tell they care about customer service !! Thanks to all the staff and managers Mike and Renee for making our stay comfortable, safe and friendly.

    « Excellent location for me! »

    We recently picked this hotel primarily for the location as we were visiting relatives and wanted an easy route to their house while staying out of Hwy 280 traffic. The location was excellent for us. The hotel has recently switched from Wingate to Best Western and has undergone renovations. Our room was nice, very quiet and staff--especially the breakfast attendant--were professional and helpful. The hotel still has some renovations to complete. The fitness room could use some attention, as the treadmill was not level on the floor and wobbled, as did the recumbent bike. We were very impressed with how quiet our room was (and we were near an outside side door) but never heard any other guests. Bed was very comfortable, everything worked, toiletries were nice, towels were soft. Lobby has a new modern feel. Would consider the hotel to be excellent once all renovations are complete!

    « Give 'em a break! This is an excellent hotel. »

    Though the hotel is undergoing a complete upgrade, our stay was excellent! The newly redone room had a beautifully appointed full bath with high-end bath products. The bed was excellent - very comfortable! The construction was not intrusive at all! We definitely will return!
