My number one choice hotel when travel, never have any problem with best Western In Big lake. Overall excellent comfortable. This is one of our favorite hotels. We have stayed here multiple times and it has always been a great experience. The location is great, lots to do. I highly recommend this hotel

"Good stay and location for me"
It was clean with enough electrical outlets and towels. These are often a problem but not here. Very friendly reservations and check in. Breakfast was the typical not much to brag about but it was a starter for the day. Parking was good and well lighted.

"Very friendly staff & clean"
I slept great! The bed was comfy with nice new appearing linen. The room was very very clean. The staff was wonderful. Great location right off the main highway with a few decent local restaurants nearby. I will stay here again!

"Quick overnight stop for nature viewing"
Big Lake was located well as we were bird watching in the area, as we wanted to be close to Mertzon the next morning. The hotel was clean, quiet, well-appointed and appeared pretty new. The room with a king bed was roomy, with a sofa and desk chair. Well-lit also. Next time I'd ask for a room away from the highway as there was some noisy truck traffic, but we did not notice it after about 10 p.m. We did not eat breakfast but it looked fine and well-stocked. Check in and out were quick.

"Best western big lake"
Upon arrival I was not greeted and employee sat on her phone until I got up to the front desk... this was a common habit upon all the employees here. No one was ever standing up ready to help anyone. They hid behind the corner on their phone... During my 3 night stay I had to get 4 different keys because they kept NOT working!- and they weren't put up against electronics to deactivate them.. I stayed in a king suite and there were stains on the sofa bed, toilet paper had barely any on it and there were poop stains on it. I went downstairs after noticing it and asked for a different roll and two more towels to fit my family of 4. Girl didn't really acknowledge the fact the room was not clean. We also did not have a sticker that other doors did that said cleaned and sanitized for your protection.. and that was clear! Cleaning services were never offered the entire stay and they were very loud cleaning other rooms and slamming doors.. Also not happy I spent 400$ and prepaid for this hotel so it wasn't able to be cancelled. We drove 5 hours to be with my working husband and the pool was broken and ICE cold and maintenance never showed to look at the issue. So my kids were VERY upset and I was upset with the cost and talk about being able to swim and not get to when we got there. When I asked about the pool issue the employee snapped an attitude and said idk what to tell you there's no one I can call and idk when maintenance is coming it's been broke for weeks. This would have played a big role in staying at this facility.

"On the Road Again"
When in Big lake this is the only place I will stay unless they are booked full, and most of the time they are booked , so call ahead and get your room. The staff is always accommodating and friendly . the beds are comfortable and always feel at home here.

"Wonderful Staff"
Highly recommend this hotel. It's clean and the staff is amazing. We went during Covid, so we were unable to try out the all the amenities, but the staff went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and safe!

This hotel is amazing. From the second you walk in the door to the second you walk out. Every staff member is friendly and helpful, and goes out of their way to make you feel right at home. Rooms are very clean, breakfast was great, the lounge was amazing

"emergency stay"
We were in Big Lake to visit a dying relative. Emotions were high but Angela (the manager) helped use more than any other facility we've stayed in! This is a very friendly and helpful BW! It was clean, safe and comfortable as well!

Great stay from start to finish. Entire staff was pleasant and helpful. Angela was great! Will definitely stay here again. Extremely comfortable and clean. They put the plus in Best Western plus. The breakfast was delicious too.

"Desert oasis"
Big Lake Best Western is always a pleasant end to a rough work day. Super clean and super friendly and helpful staff. Good start to the day as well with a great breakfast selection and super clean. Would definitely recommend if working in the area.

"Business trip 9 rooms"
This hotel was perfect from the location to the front desk, the rooms was well maintained and clean the beds was comfortable, the internet was fast and upon leaving the breakfast was great and the staff treated us like family.

"Business Trip"
This is a great hotel. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Very clean, quite and I would defiinately stay here again. Rooms spell good and up to date. The price is average as long as you have thier rewards program which is really good.

"disappointed"
charged $200.00 for the night, in a 3 star motel with a 1 star breakfast. checked in at appx 5pm , mud in lobby and hall ways, when i checked out same mud not cleaned up. work up with a sore back sorry mattress for 200$, hdcp room but toilet to low not for hdcp, other wise room clean. breakfast cold watered down eggs, meat from a roll also cold, no biscuts for cream gravy, frozen potatoes. would expect a real meal for what i was charged. manager did call me and said she would get things corrected, and would insure i do not have to pay such a high price, but i told her u got me once never again

We are sorry that your stay was not up to par. As we discussed our prices do reflect all hotels in this area. We hope you do find accommodations that better suit you next time you are in our area. We do have a lot of oilfield traffic in and out all day; so yes, the floors do get tracked, we do clean them several times during each shift, and will work harder to do this more often.We offered ham, eggs and croissants on the morning you had breakfast with us. Our eggs are real and the ham is not processed. We do apologize we could not provide you with a made to order breakfast, and that you did not enjoy what we offered. We are working to better our breakfast selection. We thank you very much for your feedback, it does help us to provide better service and learn how to better meet the needs of our guests. "Best Customer Service in West Texas"
From the maids to the manager Christina, the attitude and the service were above reproach and the most customer concentric company I have seen in a long time. I would highly recommend whether you are staying one night or weeks in Big Lake that you make this hotel your regular stop. This is by far one of the cleanest hotels with the nicest and most courteous staff you will ever experience. They actually care about your stay and your experience. A must see and experience property and staff.

"Best in the West"
Great hotel, a little pricy for Big Lake, however well worth it. Great service, clean, great breakfast. I have stayed at most every hotel in the area, Best Western Plus in Big Lake is by far the best hotel in the area.

"Very good place"
I was really happy with the hotel room was very clean internet worked well bed was really comfy definitely will come back next time I'm in the are. Oh and the breakfast was great different variety not the same as the other Best Western.

"Newer BWPlus falls short"
Stayed in room #103. Reserved ahead rate was $125 Plus Taxes=$140. This is a newer hotel but rooms show sub par workmanship, especially with a "plus" designation. Large room but no way to keep parking lot lights from coming in around curtain edges. Breakfast was not up to usual BW standards. Offered burnt toast and cold eggs.

"Better than a high priced big name hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay. There was just enough space for my kids and I while we visiting my husband who is working in the area. We loved the indoor pool and breakfast was the best. If you need to just get away, best western big lake will help take care of your relaxation.

"Clean comfortable room"
In town for bussiness and the town is packed. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, everything I could ask for. Good quality breakfast. Close to resturant and fuel, book early, I checked out before 10 am and they were already booked for the day.
"Pretty Good New Hotel"
Just stayed at this property for a couple of days and it was pretty comfortable. The overall property reminded me of a Holiday Inn Express. Rooms were new and comfortable, great internet and the housekeepers did a fantastic job. I didn't have the breakfast while there but it looked like it was busy and people were enjoying it. The only cons were minor; - face cloths were clean but dirty, I guess the oil fields (which this hotel caters to) is extremely tough on the linens and bleach can't return the whiteness. Not a big deal as the towels and face cloths are clean. - a major distraction, the elevator buzzing sound on each floor. I have never heard an elevator buzz when it reaches your floor all the way down the hall. The poor people near the elevator must have been driven crazy all night. Overall, a pretty good hotel, my biggest complaint is the super loud elevator buzz when it reaches each floor. Management, please lower the volume, guests will be so much happier.
