The friendliest staff that we have ever met. Everything was perfect. An amazing breakfast with an extensive choice. The whole hotel was really clean and with the beach just over the road, it was in a perfect position. It was only a short stroll to all the restaurants and bars and the small harbour. The local bus left just outside the hotel for trips to Andros main town.
We are currently in this hotel. Very welcoming, discreet and smiling staff. The beach and the sunbeds are very very nice. The service at the beach bar is perfect and the cocktails are excellent. The room is great and the cleaning is done every day. Don't hesitate to book!
We have just returned from an island hopping holiday and spent a lovely four days at this hotel. The location is excellent being opposite the beach where they have their own sun beds and umbrellas. Very comfortable and no charge!! There is also a nice shady chill area where you can have lunch or drinks. Hotel provides towels and full drink and meal service on the beach too. Rooms are a bit on the ‘snug' side but have everything that you need and a good balcony. Bathrooms all modern with fabulous showers etc. As with other reviews the heart of the operation are the two ‘Maria's' who could not be more helpful All of the staff are smiling which clearly comes down from the top. Super choice of restaurants nearby and do get to Chora if you can. Bus from outside the hotel. Wonderful stay and can't recommend highly enough.
A hotel located on the beach, on the main street, close to the restaurants and supermarkets. with free sunbeds for guests only, an active pool until dark, a welcoming staff that circulates among the guests on the beach and in the pool and serves the orders. The hotel buffet is open all day and night and serves a selection of food and drink. The staff is right to help with everything - from recommendations on places to visit, planning the trip, renting a car and more. The hotel offers a rich breakfast that can be eaten on the balcony or in the dining area. The rooms are spacious, with a balcony that has a table and chairs and clothes lines to dry the swimwear. I have no doubt that the choice of hotel had a decisive effect on the quality of the vacation. For us, the hotel is highly recommended.
Great little hotel with super friendly staff and relaxed athmosphere. Fantastic location and many restaurants nearby. Especially appreciated the free sun beds on the beautyful Beach and also possible to order drinks and snacks on the Beach. Will come back!
Fabulous location Really helpful, friendly staff Room had everything we needed, including good quality bathroom towels. Decent breakfast choices. So convenient for restaurants in the evening without walking up and down hills and steps. Lovely sandy beach. Excellent sunbeds, with drinks and food service. Great comfy sofa area for drinks lunch on the beach. Many repeat customers there. Our first time but would happily go back if we're visiting other islands.
Another fabulous holiday at the Chryssi. Maria and her fantastic team provide a brilliant, efficient, and friendly service - nothing was too much trouble. The wonderful Eri made delicious cocktails, his sister and another Maria served our drinks with beaming smiles. Thank you all, we will be back.
Lovely beachside hotel! We had a great time here! The reception ladies Maria & Maria were so friendly, welcomed us on arrival & greeted us every morning, great service! All staff were so nice, always smiling 😊. We opted for a sidesea view, all these rooms jut out so all balconies see the sea, but request a room closer to the front, I think a better view. Breakfast was great, free sunbeds, and an area on the beach for drinks too! So many Tavernas in walking distance, delicious food, fairly inexpensive too Excellent place to stay!
The hotel was small but excellent in every way. The rooms were well kept and very clean with everything we needed. The staff, from Christina on reception to the bar staff; Nico, Valentino and a lovely young man who worked the evening shift, all were amazing and helpful. They attended to every need and were always keen to chat and make sure our stay was as comfortable as it could be. The hotel was perfectly located across from the beach and had its own beach area, free sunbeds and a lovely lounging area under shade; great for when the sun got too much. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice and there were light snacks available throughout the day which could be ordered and brought to you on the beach. Quick transfer from Gavrio port, just 10 mins. Batsi a lovely, quiet village in low season but still had a lovely atmosphere in the evenings around the Square. Great choices for food and drinks.
This place deserves all of its praise. Excellent location within easy walk of bars, shops, restaurants and beach. Rooms and communal areas exceptionally clean and well kept. Friendly, helpful and pleasant staff. The breakfast selection is also of a good quality. Would absolutely return.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Chryssi Akti. The friendly and smiling staff were so attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Maria, such a lovely and extremely helpful lady,and her team should be commended for running such a wonderful place. Breakfast was great, as were the snacks and drinks from the bar. A special shout to Eri, who we hope to see playing Basketball for Greece, and Marie who both looked after our drinks orders whilst we lazed on the comfortable loungers on the beach using the towels provided by the hotel. Our room was cleaned daily, and the bath towels were exceptional. Thank you all-we will be back!
Ideal location for a relaxing holiday. Lovely sandy beach, many good restaurants within easy walking distance. However buses infrequent to chora(town). Lovely breakfast with alot of choice. Free use of beach sunbeds and beach towels.
We loved our stay at Chryssi Akti. The hotel is located in a very central location just across the road from a beautiful golden, sandy beach. The sea here is just amazing. The water is calm and clear like a lagoon perfect for a family with kids. Just a few minutes walking distance (or down the road) you will find restaurants and bars with great food ranging from low to high prices. There is also a small supermarket nearby with anything you may need. Also a small coffee shop where you can get your coffee and snack for the beach. Our room was spacious, and cleaned every day. The ladies at the reception were very kind and helpful in any way requested. We could have beach towels every day, which was great because we didn't bring our own.
The hotel is fully renovated, which is a must for all hotel properties from time to time. Cleanliness is very good, towels changed every day. The hotel offers a pool and pool towls also. The staff in general is polite, smiling and willing to assist with everything. The breakfast is more than enough, with first of all good quality filter coffee, very important for a coffsee addict like me. The food offered (savory and sweets) has good variety with a few changes from day to day. Some traditional greek options also included, like spinach pie, rice pudding, home made cookies, etc. The rooms are nice, the location is great, in front of the beach, walking distance from bars, cafes, restaurants, tavernas, ATMs, super market, mini market, bakery. I would like to thank especially Maria, the Head Receptionist, for her smiley face, her kindness and her warm willingness to assist with everything and to provide all the necessary info and the best tips on where and what to eat, where to go, what to see. Thank you Maria and all, we hope to see you again, soon!
As we arrived although the weather was not good, the warm welcome of the front desk staff and the great room with the excellent view that we got, cheered us up and promised us a wonderfull stay, that was about to come. All the staff was very friendly and ready to assist you at any time, nomatter if you were at the hotel lobby, at the swimming pool which by the way was lovely and very clean, or at the beach. The receptionist gave us excellent tips about were to eat or what to visit. The rooms are fully renovated with great amenities and the cleaning was excellent. I totally recommend Chryssi Akti and I will definitely visit it again! My best thanks to all the staff and the owner for the great service!
It's truly unfortunate that this hotel, situated right on the beach, has such incompetent staff. It all began during check-in when they mistakenly assigned me the wrong room type. After a lengthy discussion with the evening receptionist, who happened to be Bulgarian, I was finally given the correct room. The following morning at breakfast, although they offered a wide selection of items, the quality was disappointingly low. The eggs had clearly been prepared the previous day and simply reheated. When I tried to address my concerns with the chef, he was too preoccupied flirting with the young waitress and completely ignored my complaint. Despite these shortcomings, I must acknowledge that the cleanliness of the hotel is reasonably good.
Good Value Hotel in Batsi, situated close to the beach. The staff are very helpful and excellent housekeeping. The hotel has sun beds and shades on the beach which are complementary to guests, It also has a pool. Tavernas in the evening are walking distance This is our second stay at this lovely hotel
Lovely hotel - great position right opposite beach. Quiet but perfectly positioned for access to shops & restaurants. Pool & loungers. Great base for walks. Staff exceptionally helpful, friendly and kind. Hotel is comfortable, clean & welcoming. I would highly recommend.
The hotel is perfectly located right in front of the beach where the hotel provides an outdoor lounge and multiple sunbeds. The free Wifi works great and it even covers part of beach area. There are plenty of restaurants and tavernas within short walking distance, so lunch and dinner are not going to be a problem. The most striking thing about the Batsi Chryssi Akti hotel is in our opinion the staff. Everyone including the housekeeping, the tenders of the beach/pool bar, the reception staff and the hotel manager George, seem all to truly like their jobs. They always greeted us with a genuine smile and a desire to help whenever needed.
This hotel is set right on the beach and has complimentary sunbeds for residents which in itself is a great bonus these days. Rooms are quiet and well insulated with excellent double glazing and external shutters along with blackout blinds. The staff are fabulous. The location is only a few minutes walk into Batsi harbour and all the restaurants. The only negative point was the wardrobe space. The wardrobe was just above single size but had a boxed in section taking up 1/3 of the space. Daiy room cleaning and bedding/towel changing. Really cannot praise this place enough.
This is an Hotel, with Bar, swimming pool, reception, with friendly staff open to help you at any time for any need. Room is ok for two people, we were three, bit stretched, but for the time we spent inside it overall ok. Lateral sea view, small pool and in 10 meters the nice beach with umbrella and towels included. Excellent breakfast, just at the beginning of Batsi (lovely village) but still in a quite location despite the huge parking just aside. I had a great time, recommended, definitively worth the price
I can't praise the staff enough for their kindness. From the very first moment, I felt very welcome. At this place they really understand what hospitlity is, they care. The manager is clearly leading by example: always visible on the workfloor, hands on, exchanging some friendly words with staff and guests. Every guest is a VIP and gets full attention from all. The location is top, the beach is right outside the door. Hotelguests may use the beach beds free of charge and can ask for a beach towel at reception. There is also a pool for those who prefer. Rooms totally adequate for such a location. Breakfast in a nice setting: one can sit inside or outside, feel the family atmosphere and see the town wake up. Last but not least: the housekeeping team is working hard to keep the hotel spotlessly clean at all times.
We booked this hotel due to bwh brand The building is quite old the rooms partly refurbished but very clean with a nice veranda The beach just in front of the hotel serving great snacks plus excellent breakfast at the restaurant Staff in the bar and beach was very nice and professional but can't say the same with the front desk that forgot to book a taxi as promised and almost lost our flight to Australia. In addition nobody was attending the front desk in 6 00 am Thanks to a young and helpful lady in the kitchen that called a taxi for us and saved our trip
It's our third time that we visited this hotel (2016 - 2018 and now) and were extremely surprised with the number of changes. We noticed a lot of renovations but most important for us, a renovated lovely friendly and professional ambiance. The smiling and perfect housekeepers, the smiling young people in the beach and restaurant, an excellent rich and tasteful breakfast and a helpful front desk At last, it's a must, to mention the smiling and professional manager present almost all day in all areas and not desapearing in a ventilated office So many smiling people can only make smiling guests to return in the future
We are currently staying at this pleasant hotel but are finding breakfast a bit disappointing!! There's no toaster and for the last 5 days the food put out has been exactly the same each morning! It would be nice if they mixed it up a bit ! Plenty of bread but no toaster to put the scrambled eggs or cold boiled eggs on? Also Don't they eat mushrooms in Greece ? Veggie brekkie a bit bland
We loved every minute of our stay at the Chryssi Akti. It really is a fantastic place. Great location opp. the beach. We had a family room which was large and practical. Beds were large and very comfy and we slept well every night. We visited at the start of June and it was becoming busy but was very quiet and there was no noise or disturbance at night. Air con was effective. As other reviews have said, the receptionists (and particularly Sophia) are superb and they really try to make your stay special. They organised a hire car for a few days (cheap as chips at 35 Euro a day) via a local company, which was delivered to the hotel. There are many beautiful restaurants nearby to try out. We didn't have a bad meal anywhere. If you sit on the beach out the front of the hotel, there is a small supermarket within a two minute walk where you load up with snacks and drinks. All in all, we loved our stay at the hotel and we would certainly love to come back again.
The hotel was so clean and tidy and the staff were amazing and helpful especially the reception staff, the location right on the beach was amazing and the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The sea view rooms are fantastic and worth the small extra. The shower was great and the air conditioning worked really well too, cant wait to stay again. The beach was so close and so clean, the hotel also supplied plenty of free sun beds and also offered a drinks waiter service at no extra cost.
The location is spectacular right by a beautiful family friendly gently sloping beach. Within 10 minutes walk there are some of the nicest restaurants I have eaten in. The rooms are modern, clean and have stunning views. The staff are amazing so helpful. The reception area for breakfast is really nice as was breakfast.
The location of the Hotel could not be better; right in front is a sandy beach with sunloungers/umbrellas (free to guests), and the most wonderful shallow sandy entrance to the sea. The town is only metres to the South with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel is clean, the rooms are fairly typical 3* size. I was impressed with the bathroom. Spacious and modern. The beds were very comfortable. Staff are brilliant; nothing is too much trouble. They organise taxis, clinic appointments (Covid) and are always approachable. I have already booked for next year.
Sooooo beautiful Batsi!!! The staff in the hotel was so welcoming and warm, the reception ladies so helpful and kind (especially Sophia). The breakfast very good and fresh, their chef is absolutely perfect!!! Rooms soooo clean and beautifully decorated, the view from the room was a dream!!! Definitely we'll visit it again as soon as possible!!!

Location is the best in the whole island. Very easy to park next to it. Comfortable and clean. An excellent base to visit the island by car as you are jn the middle, and also for dinners and drinks at night walking as everything is walking distance. Just don't expect fancy facilities.
This hotel is perfect! It is located in Batsi, which is the best location in Andros island, it's very clean and it has many facilities. The swimming pool and the so kind stuff are making it amazing! It is also in front of a nice organized beach!!

Very clean hotel, excellent staff especcialy Sophia Balla that gave us area trip reccomendation that made our vacation from very good to something very special. All other stuff is exceptional welcome and helpful. The hotel location is excellent - near the Gavri port (about 8 km) , in the Batsi city center located on the promenade , excellent beach across , near many hike roads - Menites , Arni (Greece Switzerland area full of green forests , springs ). There is a nice and large pool. The hotel provide also pool and beach towels. I would suggest to imrprove breakfeast - to add variety of fruits,fresh squeezed orange jiuce , more vegtables and some cereals suitable grown ups (there is cereal suitable kids)
The day we left from the hotel I couldn't keep my tears! It was an amazing experience to be in such a beautiful place with the most kind people! The breakfast was huge and excellent, the rooms modern minimal ( I love their bathroom) and always clean, the swimming pool was amazing and the stuff was simply the best!!! I totally recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit Andros island! We thank Sofia, George, Vaggelis , Christina, Lamara and the rest of the stuff for offering us the most beautiful experience in Andros island !
Our first visit to Andros. Glad we chose this hotel. Perfect location across the road from the beach. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast included. Private beach area with comfortable loungers and beach food and drinks service. Definitely recommended. Only downside was a slight sewage smell from the shower drain but maybe this this not the fault of the hotel owners.
The hotel and staff have significantly improved since the 1 & 2 star reviews we read, dated from a few years ago. Reasonably priced, which includes a good breakfast selection. Bedrooms are functional and clean. Ideally located on the beach which is perfect for families with children. We will certainly return next year.
Hotel Chryssi Akti hotel is the perfect location in Batsi for a fab holiday to Andros... It's right opposite the beach and located close to a number of bars & restaurants... Service from the team in the holiday was amazing... our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels changed everyday. Bar service is also available at the beach.. The hotel is spotlessly clean, bathroom in the rooms are up to date and amazing.. We really enjoyed our stay here, the team cant do enough to help you and all work extremely hard ... well done to all the team
Our superior sea view room had a balcony looking over the beach. The room was compact with a very comfortable double bed. The bathroom was very modern, fantastic shower. The best we have seen in Greece before. Air con was great. The only negatives we found was lack of wardrobe and shelf space and the safe being on the floor,hard if you can't bend well. The cleaners were very good and the breakfast was good plenty of choice. All in all a great stay.
