Best Western Saint-Etienne Porte du Forez

Good service, friendly staff, great food. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the region for either business or pleasure. The outside setting is perfect with a small basic pool and many relaxing chairs with tables for dining. In addition the road network is great.

No airco in room. rooms are boiling like sauna and temp outside is better then in room's. At nighs i have to open window,but cant sleep with open window as it sounds like lying next to F1 track. We had 5 rooms in 2 floors all same. Breakfast is very basic and not included in price. Overall its 2 star hotel.Simply don't waste time and money.

Definitely a case of first impressions DON'T count. Upon arrival, you drive through a industrial area, but once you pass through the gates, it really is a delightful surprise. Plenty parking, a wonderful welcome from a very organised reception and very spacious rooms. Although the showers have great water pressure, they're a little difficult to position, but some patience and you'll manage just fine. The food was really impressive. We had a lovely dinner, followed by one of the better breakfast buffets we've seen in France. In all, a highly recommended option.

Rooms a bit basic and shabby but the restaurant was quite good and a reasonable price with the meal option as part of the room package. OK for a short overnight stay and good transport links . She wifi was a pain however as you constantly need to re-enter your login details

Spent three nights here while on business, found the hotel clean today and very friendly.the restaurant was good as we ate in every night. The breakfast is excellent and set you up for the day. Personally I didn't sleep well for no apparent reason.

hotel is outside of town: no public transport. Taxi is 30euros to the city centre. Employees dont speak english, but friendly. food is ok (nothing special) - breakfast buffet as well. building is not looking nice and modern, the toilet is a seperate room, tight and without a window. rooms are very spacious would book it again, but only when i need to go to saint etienne aeroport (which is more an airfield) and only when i'm by car

A good hotel but getting old. Rooms are clean and wide enough for a solo, no special design but practical. The restaurant is ok, not the greatest food, but the menu is wide enough to pick something every night without getting bored. Personnel is efficient and pleasant. Swimming pool is nice and very well appreciated during summer. Wifi in the room is fast and stable.

Ideal when using cheap flights instead of flying into Lyons Airport. Standard Hotel with pool. Rooms satisfactory and breakfast buffet typical of hotels in France. Have stayed here a few times on business.

In comparison to the surroundings, it is the best hotel. Even better than the Mercure in St Etienne. However, compared to regular standards, this hotel is getting old, in the design and the furniture. However, it is clean, wifi is stable and fast enough. Just avoid eating at the restaurant if you are a group of more than 6 persons. The service may be very slow. But personnel is nice and efficient. And the ratio price/quality is ok.

As airport hotels go this one has several advantages. To start with it is not on an airport and the airport referred to doesn't seem to have any flights. All of which should make for a quiet night. Unfortunately they negate these advantages by having an unstoppable forced ventilation system next to the bed. For those of us unused to sleeping inside a vacuum cleaner, earplugs are essential. However the room is a good size and the staff are polite. All of this is combined with the charm of a 1990s Novotel, ok if you're a business traveller working nearby but I don't think I'll be coming here for my holidays

Me & my mom come oftenly to the hotel as its on of the best in the area and we liked everything food room service and they took good care of us as a regulars with such vip service. As a best western property that we strongly recommend that you should be Muslim Friendly putting signs with Halal food and marking pork food...etc Would come back!
