Our separate meeting & dining rooms complement our food and drink offerings. You can also grab a bite in our mini market. Located in one of the most green and sporty cities of the Netherlands, the hotel is the best place to relax and unwind after an active day. Off course there is a gym for the true sport fanatics. Within a bike ride distance of the center of Amstelveen and Amsterdam, you can enjoy all the treasures of both cities. Do you like modern art? In 10 minutes, you can be at the world-famous COBRA Museum. The hotel is in the vicinity of the international offices of Canon, Brother and Mitsubishi to name a few. The flower auction and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport are also easy to reach. Besides the new lay-out, modern facilities and efficient location, the hotel has a private parking garage, which can be used by our guest, for a small additional fee.

"No hygiene - please be aware."
arpit k, 18 Avril 2024

Hygiene weren't up to the mark. Bedsheets were not changed daily in fact for our entire 3 nights stay no new bedsheets. Just tidying up where they supposed to change with clean sheets. Got skin irritation red marks all over body. No drinking water was provided. Even after request no special action was taken. Will not stay ever in this hotel.

"Quiet, peaceful, very nice staff...."
Flyer51617221653, 28 Mars 2024

Stayed for two nights on a short, spur of the moment trip to Amsterdam to take in museums and galleries. Hotel IS on the edge of a trading estate and the view out of our very comfy, spacious room was of someone's flat next door! However, do not let this put you off. For our purposes it was perfect; quiet location in the suburbs, very friendly, helpful staff and nice clean room with a nice shower, tea and coffee arrangements and a big comfy bed from which I enjoyed watching Villa stuff Ajax on the evening of our arrival. The tram stop is a two minute walk around the corner which takes you into station Zuid and Amsterdam is your oyster thanks to their fantastic public transport system. 'Fraid I can't tell you anything about the catering as we grabbed breakfast, lunch and dinner in the city but always returned in time to have a beer in the bar with the very nice people running reception before collapsing happily into bed after our very enjoyable days out. Will be staying again.

"Total let down"
jeffswork, 26 Mars 2024

Stayed here for three nights on business and I can honestly say the best part was leaving. Arrived at 10 pm and hotel and bar was dead. Breakfast was ok but basic. Dinner was the biggest joke, you order and then they send out for food which arrived luke warm after 30 mins .you can see the folks arrive with hot boxes - very bizarre !!! Seriously guys, if you don't want to cook let the guests order in!! Hotel is on the middle of an industrial estate so you can't even escape somewhere else to eat unless you have a car!! Nothing good to say so let's say no more. I'm NOT coming back!!!!

"Lovely hotel"
Emz30w, 07 Mars 2024

We stayed here in February. Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent food. They even provided us with a take away breakfast for the morning we had to go catch our flight home as it was early start. It is a fair distant from amsterdam itself, but that is what appealed to us. Being out of the city meant it would be quieter, less likely to get the idiots there and better quality and spacious hotel. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the city, there's a tram stop 2 minutes around the corner from hotel, catch tram into zuid station, then 2 minute wall to metro where you can catch train anyway. We bought travel passes prior to coming to Netherlands. Definitely recommend hotel. Will stay here again when coming to Netherlands

"Disappointing honeymoon stay."
Laura B, 24 Février 2024

Myself and my husband have just returned from a 3 day stay in Amsterdam for our mini honeymoon. We booked this hotel as we got married in a Best Western hotel in the UK so liked the idea of staying in another best western hotel. This hotel is close to a tram stop and easy and quick to reach centre of Amsterdam. Overall the hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The reception area is beautiful. We arrived an hour before check in so were told we could check in early for an additional fee however when we went to pay the additional fee we were told the room wasn't ready so we had to sit in the reception area for 40 minutes waiting. I had contacted the hotel prior to arrival and paid an additional fee to have staff decorate our room with petals and balloons to surprise my husband due to us being on our honeymoon. On entering our room we were both extremely disappointed to see that the bed had been scattered with a few fake rose petals and several multi coloured bright balloons had been blown up and scattered across the bed. Stretched across the ceiling of the room was one string of multi coloured bunting. The balloons and bunting looked more fitting for a children's birthday party. I had paid for this service as I was hoping it would make the room more romantic but feel that I had wasted my money completely. The bunting had clearly been used before as it was scrunched up and creased in places. On looking around the room we were slightly disappointed with the decor. The lamp shade on the desk lamp was covered in stains and the bedspread at the bottom of the bed had a big dirty mark on it. The wallpaper was peeling away from the wall behind the headboard of the bed. The bed itself was very comfortable and very big however the pillows on the bed were very small which made sleeping on them a bit uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean however the toilet seat was stained and the seal on the shower door was hanging off so when we used the shower the floor became extremely wet which then made it very slippery. The towels that were provided were very small and we weren't provided with any large bath towels which was disappointing. If we were to return to Amsterdam I wouldn't book this hotel again based on our short stay.

"Great experience"
Passenger704396, 19 Décembre 2023

A very pleasant experience. Even from the entrance the reception lady and two other employees welcomed us with big smiles. Because we were in December, the hotel had a nice Christmas atmosphere. The room was very clean! The only “problem” is the parking lot. There are not enough parking places for their visitors, however just outside of the hotel court are just enough.

"Would be a 5 star but 4 because of location!"
Anna N, 19 Décembre 2023

We went to Amsterdam 14-17th December, we really enjoyed our time in Amsterdam. Only issue was is that easy jet say on the app when booking this hotel that it's a 20 minute tram ride but that is NOT the case. It's a 4 minute walk to the tram stop, 20 minute tram to station zuid, then a 15 minute metro into Amsterdam centre. Apart from that, we enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel. Room was very clean & fresh, it was cleaned daily which was good. Nice quiet hotel, didn't hear a peep at night. Bathroom nice, restaurant and reception area clean and the WiFi was brilliant & free. Apart from being 35 minutes away from the centre I would recommend this hotel as it was to lovely standards. And a bonus is it's so close to Schiphol airport 14 minute taxi journey so not too bad atall!

"Beautiful, clean, modern hotel, unfortunately false advertising on easyJets behalf with location"
Lily Pop D, 07 Novembre 2023

Absolutely amazing hotel! However extremely falsely advertised by easyJet as a 20 minute tram ride into Amsterdam city when it's actually a 20 minute tram and a 20 minute metro. And when not knowing or visiting the country before you assume the ‘reliable' travel agents to provide correct information atleast. And yes I know it says amstelveen but as I said as a first time vacation you just expect what's stated on the website of easyJet to be correct. Anyway this is at no fault of the hotel it is a perfect hotel! Very modern and clean. Extremely comfy beds. And the staff are super super friendly and helpful. You really can't fault the breakfast I'm a very fussy eater and I still managed to find something. Although it is a bit more out than we would of liked to have been I would stay again as the hotel itself is not too blame x

"Five great days holiday"
153rubyt, 29 Septembre 2023

Saw a few negative reviews so wasn't sure quite what to expect. Yes this Hotel is 8 km from Centraal Station. Yes it is on the edge of a commercial estate BUT after the frenzy of downtown Amsterdam it is a perfect quiet and comfortable bolt hole to return to. The breakfast is great, loads of choice and delicious. The staff are lovely. There is even a fresh pizza machine outside! There are two supermarkets within ten minutes walk. Instead of turning right to the tram station continue straight across into the housing estate. Turn left at the bottom and you'll see a small mall with two supermarkets a Indian and a Chinese restaurant. The bakery in there is gorgeous. We ate snacks in our room and enjoyed the pizza. In the foyer are wood knives and forks and napkins for your alfresco dining. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were super comfortable. There wasn't anything we didn't like.

"Comfortable stay"
drlendry, 27 Août 2023

The hotel is excellent overall. The staff are amiable and friendly. The amenities are as well great. They have USB ports for charging devices not compatible with European. They even allowed us borrow adaptors for charging other devices.

"Sensational"
Lsturgess6, 10 Août 2023

Long story short me and my friend had a disaster near death experience amsterdam trip which climaxed with me passing out and falling into the canal, very scary. To top it off our flight home was cancelled. We were tired, angry, weak, upset. I was hauling a heavy backpack full of soaking wet clothes and hadn't had a chance to shower since my swim in the water. With no alternative flights available and 2 hours of no communication from easyJet we eventually got directed to this hotel for a nights stay to then return on the next flight tomorrow morning. Point of the story we were seriously grumpy and wanted nothing more than to go home. I genuinely cannot thank the gentlemen who served us enough. Clearly working overtime having to deal with easyJet's mistake at about 11:30pm. They were the most outstandingly helpful and kind guys I've encountered at a hotel. They were cracking jokes and brought smiles to the faces of 2 incredibly unhappy boys even despite working so late to solve a problem they didn't cause. Stay at this hotel and give these guys a handshake as you leave. God bless.

"The Worst Western!!!"
bestreviewsUK, 28 Juin 2023

This place should be called the Worst Western. Booked two wake up calls that never happened. Breakfast is appalling. Sausages were cold, heat lamps not working. Staff do not rotate food items quick enough. The location is in the middle of an industrial estate. Probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Staff need much more training. Avoid if you can!

"Great Hotel, bring an extra £150 with you though"
Companion18050670748, 26 Juin 2023

Nice little hotel, when we got there we were greeted by 2 very well English speaking staff who were very polite and checked us in. Getting here like any person that goes abroad should know - check where your staying on a map! It was quite far from Amsterdam central but we already knew this (as it says Amstelveen not Amsterdam) and bought a public transport card online, only about £25pp for the 4 days we went and there was a tram stop a 2 minute walk up the road which took us to Zuid which then you can go basically anywhere. The hotel was clean, had friendly staff, and even brought our takeaway upstairs to our room tot us when we had it delivered. Only reason why I've put a 4 start instead of 5 star is A - Its in a business estate, the distance to Amsterdam wasn't an issue like mentioned, it just feels abit less of a hotel when you've got car dealers and manufacturing stuff around. B - The £150 room deposit wasn't mentioned anywhere until we got there. I can now see its been added in the description on the booking site we used (loveholidays) but wasn't there when we booked. Not the nicest surprise if you come for a little few night stay with not much money. Obviously this was given back to us upon leaving.

"Too far away"
Fearless20649857777, 11 Mai 2023

The hotel is lovely except it is too far from Amsterdam. It was at least 10 miles from town and we had to Uber both ways. We weren't familiar with the transit system and at our age we didn't want to get lost. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. There were no restaurants, shopping or grocery stores near by. By the description of the hotel it seemed to be much closer to Amsterdam but it's not. By the time we paid for Uber we could have stayed much closer to town!

"Middle of nowhere, with extra hidden costs!"
jacquelinedG9742JY, 10 Avril 2023

Extremely disappointing hotel in the middle of a ghost town area, mikes from anywhere!! Hidden in the midst of a retail park with an hour journey into the centre where all the attractions are. Don't be fooled by EasyJet's misleading claims that it's close to the airport and the centre! It's not close to either of them! A ridiculous journey on buses, trams and trains to get anywhere! Nothing near by - so better off staying elsewhere! On top of this, rather than a polite ‘welcome', we got hit with an additional £150 deposit request on the room in case of damages, PLUS £3.00 each person for city tax!! We were told nothing about any of this before we booked and fully paid for everything!

"Disappointing"
jmm1294, 08 Avril 2023

Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, so you have no choice but to order their overpriced meals. The food selection was very poor - lots of odd dishes that many wouldn't fancy. Small fridge in the room but was empty upon arrival, would have been nice to have some milk or water etc. Most importantly, it's an hour away from most tourist spots, and the centre. We chose it as it was falsely advertised to us by EasyJet as 20 mins away. The journey to the centre was a hassle. It is also situated in an industrial park so not very nice views. We were disappointed to find the windows in the room didn't open, which is important for proper ventilation. I have asthma so asked if they had a fan to get the stale air moving, and they looked as if I'd asked them to hand fan me myself. He told me to put the air con on. That's not how it works. The phone and TV remote didn't work upon our arrival and when the remote was fixed they only had 3 english channels. Not fun. If you want to use bikes, there are no rentable bikes in the area other than the ones outside which were extortionately priced at €18 a day. We wouldn't go back but that's not to say you shouldn't if you don't mind being in an industrial park, overspending on food and drink and having poor ventilation. Just wasn't for us personally.

"Very nice hotel"
fenellar2016, 09 Janvier 2023

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms with great amenities including kettle and mini fridge. staff are very friendly and helpful. A bit far out from the city but right next to a tram stop that brings you into the centre of Amsterdam in about 45 mins. Only downside was travelling to the airport as we had an early morning flight and had to walk 20 mins to a bus stop.

"Good points and bad points"
libbyd490, 23 Décembre 2022

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Overall, I would say due to the price it is worth a visit however here are some pros and cons: Pro: Cheap- as part of a package with flights it was a really good price Accessible- 5 mins walk from tram stations and bus stations, taxis can be EXTORTIONATE in Amsterdam so my biggest piece of advise would be to get a bus 199 from the airport, saves around €50 in taxis Friendly staff- staff all spoke English and were always so helpful with requests Beautiful hotel (especially at christmas)- the interior of the hotel was modern and well done, the room itself was also really nice. And you get free use of a nespresso! Con: BED- unfortunately the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The mattress was about 3 inches deep and the pillows were practically non- existent. Breakfast- not much choice but I suppose you get what you pay for. Also, you can order fresh eggs on demand however noone told us that until our last morning :( Money- on arrival we were informed of a €150 holding deposit which would be returned IMMEDIATELY upon check out. Unfortunately when we were checked out, we were told this would take 3-5 working days. Due to it now being Christmas time we most likely won't get our deposit back for quite a few days which is very frustrating. Also, had to pay €3 per day per person room tax.

"Weekend in Amstelveen for the Marathon! "
Josh Y, 22 Octobre 2022

Nice place to stay, no complaints. Was here for the Amsterdam marathon with friends. Stayed for a couple of evenings in October. Travelling into the city centre was easy enough from Amstelveen using both tramlines and the train. Breakfast was nice, drinks and additional refreshments available outside restaurant hours through reception. Clean, spacious rooms. Good value for money. Thank you!

"Surprisingly Great Hotel"
Jonathank-pt, 12 Juillet 2022

What a hidden gem. A little off the beaten track in the corner of a small industrial estate which initially made me worry about what we'd booked but what a revelation when we got in. This is a clean and neat hotel with great sized rooms, friendly staff and excellent breakfasts. Stand out features are very comfortable beds and pillows and Marjolein, a very recent addition to the hotel team, was good fun, informative and very efficient on front of house. This is a superb, value for money hotel with excellent tram and bus links to Amsterdam centre a few minutes away. I have no hesitation recommending it and will be staying again in the future.

"Clean but disappointing."
antonyr938, 11 Juillet 2022

The hotel in general is modern and clean. When we arrived we were told the hotel was being renovated and the kitchen was closed apart from breakfast, draft beer wasn`t available only expensive bottled beer. It is in the middle of a factory and buisness area, There are no bars or food outlets nearby. I feel the hotel management should have made some alternative food arrangements and possibly reduced the drink prices for residents. On the plus side there is a tram stop within a 5 min walk.

"Hotel outside Amsterdam "
Priabhica2892, 28 Mars 2022

Loved the hotel and the service. The hotel offers breakfast only service no lunch or dinner so visitors have to arrange that themselves. Otherwise everything is 5* Loved the decoration and the fact that I could not hear anyone else from our bedroom

"Loved it!"
123sophiemr, 09 Mars 2022

Great hotel, modern and clean. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. A little bit out of the way from Amsterdam but we were well aware of this before our stay. For 20 euros each we got a 3 day tram ticket. Tram stop just 5 minute walk away and they run every 10 minutes from early hours to late at night. Would definitely return again!

"Was ok but Would not recommend"
986gu_r_ni, 18 Novembre 2021

Didn't expect the hotel to be in the middle of an industrial area with nothing around. When we arrived a girl that worked there really tried her best to assist us and check us in but we have never before had to wait for so long because she decided to let us wait and assist others with minor problems before us even though we where first in line. The room was nice but we didn't like that we had to share a duvet and the pillows where old, you could feel the cotton turning into balls. Also the Tv turned itself on in the middle of the night two nights in a row which woke us up haha… we decided to unplug it after that.

"Accidentally visited."
ribbons2011, 01 Octobre 2019

First of all, there are innumerable 'Best Western' hotels. Secondly, even the 'Best Western Plus' hotels are many. All part of the same franchise ... I was informed by reception. But independently managed. I had just had a large chunk taken out of my day, probably delaying my eventual check in to a point where no sights could be seen today. Was it my fault, totally, I should have entered the whole address and not just the name. (Turned out I needed Best Western Amsterdam, where the third word is part of the name, not a location) Did I blame it on the hotel? No, although my feedback was defended so definitively that it seemed to have been taken as criticism. I merely suggested that if there were, two, three or even twenty hotels with similar names ... they should all print a line on booking confirmations: "Please note that there are many hotels with similar names, we are located at xyz strasse, near bla blah. Please ensure you search for the correct one. A small note about nearby tram or bus stops might also help. I got an abrupt contradictory set of responses: "We have nothing to do with the others!" Followed up with, "We have FIFTY Best Westerns!" Surely all the more reason to clarify? I do appreciate the fact that she printed out directions, but the print out was Dutch or German, I could understand nothing of it! Ultimately made it to the right hotel, sympathetic response, the feedback was taken positively, with appreciation for the concern. So glad this was the wrong hotel!??

"PUBIC HAIR ON PILLOW"
s k, 12 Juillet 2019

Staying in this wretched hotel in amstelveen. After 10 minutes in the room we saw what was either pubic hair or beard hair on the bed. We rang reception and they did move us. That was fine. Asked several people for some water to bring up to the room and they wouldnt give it to us, was told to drink the water in the bathroom? Never have I EVER stayed anywhere that wont give you water in a jug for your room. Was told either drink the bathroom water, or pay four euro for a bottle of water. Shocking. And we have to spend another 2 nights here.

"Amazing stay"
517kayleighh, 05 Juin 2019

Was a lovely new modern hotel, spacious rooms, comfiest beds , although a little outside of Amsterdam a GVB 3 or 4 day travel ticket can be bought for 30/40 euros which means unlimited travel on all buses trams and trains. Bus stop is a five minute walk with buses every 5 minutes into the late hours. Would 100% be back and have been recommending it to all friends and family. Me and my partner loved our stay and the hotel added a personal touch into the room on arrival in regards to my boyfriends birthday.

"New Build (abt March '19) Still Working Out Kinks"
JohnH881, 23 Mai 2019

The BW Plus is a modern, well-equipt hotel located in a business park outside of Amstelveen. It is quite inconvenient for tourists to downtown Amsterdam. The tie in with the regional transport system is a bit far from the hotel, so it would be recommended that a taxi be used. This reviewer used a dedicated taxi for every transit, whether it was to the city center or nearby Schipol Airport. Taxi prices in Amsterdam are a bit high in this reviewer's eyes. The rooms are clean, the staff courteous and friendly. There is a good restaurant, though it seems to have limited hours during the weekends. The latest information has it that an underground parking lot is being prepared. In a sentence, the prices are extremely competitive, the access could be better.

"Lovely "
cazncol, 29 Avril 2019

Lovely. , very clean , very helpful polite staff , generous portions of food from the restaurant,, local transport into Amsterdam really easy to use ,, but you will need the red travel card which can be bought at the air port for €36.50 for 3 days ,, taxi to the hotel is best cost €40 , more then worth it if you haven't been before takes 15 mins ,,
