Absolutely horrendous. Booked two nights and only stayed one. Killed a roach. That was it for us. The desk clerks were the ONLY bright spot of the entire stay. Lobby reeked of bug spray. Since we booked third party, we have little to no chance of refund for night #2 but that matters little to us. Seriously, the WORST hotel experience I have ever had.
Room was very dirty. Hairs in the bathroom. For the price of this room, it should have been clean. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The hotel is clean. The front desk was amazingly helpful. I can't remember her name, but she was very professional and kind. The room itself was okay. I didn't care for the pillows or the shower, but everything else was good. The hotel was affordable.
Room was clean & jacuzzi worked. Had a good night's sleep-it was quiet. The pool and breakfast were awesome!
Room not cleaned at all one day during last week long stay. I provided information to GM. Decided to give them another chance. Checked in last night. The bathroom room was not clean. Sink and counter area dirty. Hair all over. Tissue box torn into with hairs all over it. Dirty towel hanging up behind door. Overwhelming smell of cheap men's cologne. Refrigerator had old food in it.
I always use Best Western wherever I can. The service is always friendly, the room are clean and nice, and I have never stayed at one that didn't have a free hot breakfast. If you're looking for a quality hotel at a fair price, Best Western is your choice.
The staff person working the night we checked in was very efficient, pleasant and polite! Rooms were clean and comfy. This was a family overnighter (Christmas Eve), so we had 3 rooms with 6 people distributed among them. All reported a comfortable night's sleep and full satisfaction with the complementary breakfast.
Just enjoyed a great weekend in the Albemarle area. Our family group stayed in 2 rooms for a night here. Overall, we were quite pleased with this hotel. Our rooms had modern furnishings, adequate seating, soft-top firm beds with smooth linens, quiet HVAC & frig, and a well stocked bathroom with everything well maintained and in working order. The morning breakfast offered lots of variety: eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, bagels, danish. hot & cold cereals, and fresh fruit too. All the staff members we encountered were friendly and professional. The only negative comment from our group was some hair was found in one of the tub drains (otherwise, the rooms were very clean). We almost didn't stay here because we prefer queen beds vs full size, but glad we made this decision. Be sure to use the BW app to get the best price.
Had a whirlwind of a weekend meeting friends and family. Albemarle on Friday, Myrtle Beach on Saturday, and Goldsboro on Sunday. All in Best Westerns and all great experiences. The staff were all exceptional and the rooms were all clean and comfortable. BW is the only place I stay.
Priced right. Great Breakfast. Great staff. We have stayed here in the past and return every time we are visiting family in the area. The hotel is always clean and the service is excellent. There is a very nice pool and the hotel is close to other stores.
We came because I had to visit my son my daughter just past away ten days prior to the visit I was very distorted I haven't buried her yet.but we came to get our son and to get our minds together to have the service it was the quiet I neededto pray and ask God what to do next . Thank u for the comfort and peace .and rest.
I had my baby with me forgot her playpen they actually put one in my room for her. Then when it was breakfast they always asked me how my night was and if I needed anything to give them a call. I will stay there again.
Great staff and location / clean and staff is willing to work with you to continue your stay if booked close to restaurants and grocery stores for personal needs clean pool area and pool no smell of old or smoking in any area
Very impressed with cleanliness, maintenance, friendliness. A lot of effort has gone into upgrading the hotel wi new lighting, new furniture, new carpeting. I could not find any real fault with this stay, and I can be very picky about my hotel stays.
Very enjoyable stay.15 minutes from Morrow Mountain, which is fun hiking. at this recently renovated hotel, everything is quite, clean and comfortable. Front desk attendants are helpful, friendly, and efficient. Wonderful breakfast to start the day! Will definitely stay here again if traveling in the area.
Friendly efficient staff. Clean and pleasant. Easy access for outside travel…stores and fast food nearby. Offered to clean room daily, but allowed you not to accept which made environmental me happy. Easy access to travel in any direction. Felt safe.
The rooms really need a deep cleaning. So much grime around the floor edges, especially in bathroom. I used the laundry area and it's so neglected. The breakfasts is typical bland hotel food. I only had the coffee.
This is an older property however it was a pleasure to stay here. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The best feature is the people that work here. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I am a Platinum member which simply means I stay at a lot of BW's so my opinion should carry a little weight. I hope the General Manager reads my review and shares it with the staff.
Average for what can be expected in Albemarle. The price is premium and the quality is poor. It's obvious there is little to no competition in this town so you take what you can get and pay too much for it. Most of the staff are wonderful but have had a bad experience with one in particular. She must have been having a bad day.
Front desk Staff was helpful and did what they could to make the stay welcoming, however, the room needs some updated maintenance work and upkeep. For example, the door to the room had to be opened a certain way, toilet didn't flush well, and in certain areas found leftover over food
Don't believe any good reviews you read for this hotel. External doors are broken, allowing anyone to enter. People use the rear parking area for noisy parties with broken glass. Furniture is extremely run down. Cleanliness lacking. Internet slow. No cell phone reception in our room. Find somewhere else to stay.
the toilet in the bathroom was VERY low. (at least 2 -3 inches lower than the average commode seat) Definitely, not good for those with back or knee issues. Overall, the room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was very quiet! There were several folks in town for Pfeiffer Univ graduation...but there was no noise! A great experience!
We were very pleased with this hotel as we have stayed the last two years while visiting family in the area. I have nothing bad to say, except the eggs at breakfast are not good at all. We will definitely stay again.
The place is good as noted above, but one of the staff, Miss Beth at the Front Desk, was AWESOME!!!! She is professional, kind, and goes out of her way for all of her guests!!! Beth is an EXCEPTIONAL EMPLOYEE!!!
I'm glad to write a review about our experience at the Best Western in Abermarle, NC. Overall it was comfortable and the staff there were very accommodating and nice! Especially Monica at the front desk, she went above and beyond for us on multiple occasions, she was wonderful! Pros: clean, quiet, comfortable, hot breakfast every morning, Wi-Fi, luggage carts, friendly staff, ice machines on each floor and washer/dryer on each floor Cons: no kitchenette option, small square pillows (no king or even queen size pillows on a king bed), no vending machines, had a small snack stand cash only, washer/dryer takes quarters only no card, area seemed safe but not much around, you need to drive about 10 mins to get to any store, restaurant or fast food, an outside door was broke and inconvenient. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend!
House keeping could have been better,, breakfast was ok not many options. Pool was closed. Dirty towels were left in my room..my daughters room had issues with the smoke alarm, bed was very comfortable , i think the issues were caused by labor shortage, the staff that i had contact with were fantastic,
The ceiling had mildew and the room was stuffy and had an odor. I was placed on the first floor in a room next to the outside air conditioning units and I heard them come on and off all night. A dirty wash cloth was left in the room.
The staff is wonderful, and the buffet was really good, but after that I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone, The seriously need to renovate the hotel, the bathroom had peeling paint, mold on the silicone in the bathtub, the bathroom counter top was small and dirty. We will not stay in this or any other Best Western after this trip. (we are still on a trip and stayed at another one that is almost as bad). Glad the final leg is at a different hotel brand. Best Western use to be better then this & we determined we will not be staying at any more and will choose another brand/chain.
I have stayed at this location several times. This is the last! The room smelled as soon as we opened the door. I had to dust the surfaces, including the coffee maker and coffe pods!! (No way I was going to use the coffee maker.) I dusted off the television and headboard. The edge of the floor/walls is so dirty you can see the line of grey dust. The ceiling had a quick and patchy spray of paint covering something. The bathroom is horrific. Mold on the walls, rust and chips out of the metal door frame, stained tub with black mildew around the caulk and chips out of the tub. Behind the bathroom door was trash and dirt. The breakfast is standard, processed foods and as most food buffets none of the other visitors used hand sanitizer before or after touching the communal utensils. (This is common sense and something that my family always did; way before a global pandemic) The pool was closed and the cover was full of sludge and trash, weeds growing around the pool area. I did not contact the staff about this as we were very busy during the day dealing with family issues and were only there a few hours to sleep. Also knowing that I will not return to this location there was no need to speak with anyone and none of the issues would be able to be fixed while we were there. There are other options in town but based on my previous experiences here, I came back. No more.
We like to decide to go on a 'Road Trip', We just at the spur of a moment get things together for our trip and take off. so we did just that on Sun am 7-11-21. After riding for several hours on the back roads for a good scenic view, my husband called to get us reservations at BEST WESTERN Albemarle Inn. It was easy to find. But when we got into our room, it was filthy dirty, the floor was dusty and covered with dead house flies. Since it was late, we decided just to stay, we were staying only one night. I cleaned the floor the best I could and scooped up at least 8/9 dead flies along with trash and dirt. During my cleaning, I found a Drivers License that most probably belonged to a recent visitor, so I took it upon myself to take it with me so I can mail it back to him when we return home, which had an Arkansas address on it. Then the next morning, we hurried to get back on our TRIP. And after we left, I realized I had left my solid 14k Wedding Band, as well as some inexpensive jewelry(necklace and earrings) in the top drawer of the dresser. When I called back I talked with the Desk Clerk, and she immediately responded that nothing of that description had been turned in to the front desk. We have always stayed at Best Western and have always had an positive and wonderful time. It really needs updating and cleaning. The staff was nice that we met. It is too bad that the reflection of this hotel is not exactly the reflection of the staff. I can say I did meet a very nice Lady, who I could chat with that made this 'A Special Moment' at Best Western Albemarle Inn. She was a Driving Instructor for NC High Schools.
We stayed at the Best Western Albemarle Inn because it was close to a family wedding. It was a nice place to stay but a little outdated. Unfortunately we were traveling while the pandemic was nearing the end so there was no maid service but the hotel was clean and comfy and I'm sure during normal times would be a really nice place to stay.
Don't stay here unless you want to feel sad and depressed and lonely. The rooms are poorly lit. This is the perfect place to go if you want to feel alone and depressed. The rooms colors should be brighter.
Friendly, clean, and budget friendly. We felt safe staying here and would recommend this hotel if staying in Albemarle. This Best Western came recommended from our family member that lives in town and know the area well.
The room smelled horrible, the shower curtain broken, paint peeling off the walls in multiple places, staff at night was rude, they tell you to place your linens outside the door and they will replace them but they didn't for us,and when we went to request the linen the girl had a attitude like I was the problem. Same girl when I reported the room smelled horrible like smoke, rolled her eyes and came to spray something in the room that smelled even worse never was offered a different room.
The rooms, the lobby, the parking lot, and the grounds were dirty. Loud music was being played from cars in the parking lot. The State of North Carolina mask mandate was not being enforced. Way overpriced.
Checked into our room and found blood spatter on the light switch, outlets, toilet paper and bathroom sink/counter. Also our room was right next to the elevator and it made a horrible noise each time it opened and closed. Called the front desk and informed the of the blood, elevator noise and asked to move. Was told no other rooms were available. We arrived about 8 pm and needed to leave at 4 AM, so didnt have time to find another hotel. I cleaned up the blood on the sink and light switch, and slept in my clothes...
Stayed in Oct 2020. Staff were great and wore masks at all times- VERY RESPECTFUL. Signs also encouraged as many customers as possible to wear them. It made our family feel respected and safe. Terrific rooms- good space, nicely kept.
Connie was amazingly friendly. The stay was nice and at or above the standard of a normal hotel stay, but the customer service and kindness of the staff as unparalleled. Bag breakfast was very convenient and rooms were clean and well-lit. a seamless visit. Thank you!
As a Diamond select member was treated like a outsider. This is probably the worst I have ever been treated as a LOYAL Best Western customer.Just because I was using corporate lodging was treated as a second rate person. There was no need for this .
This was a great property to stay at. Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff was excellent. The breakfast was good , food was fresh and hot. The only issue that we had was that the lighting in the room could have better. Would highly recommend.
Amazing staff! Everyone was so nice and helpful. The room was clean, breakfast was awesome! The staff was welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay and after being in Albemarle for a few weeks in different hotels I have to say this is the best one in town!
I totally recommend this property for short term and long term. The desk clerks were the greatest. They made you feel at home. These desk clerks were so friendly to make your stay enjoyable. Stay at this property and feel relaxed with great hospitality.
Recently stayed at the Best Western in Albemarle, NC. Upon arrival was welcomed for staying at BW by front desk worker. Was checked in very promptly and off to my room. Room was nice. During my 10 day stay, the front desk crew were very polite and always had a smile on their face. Connie and Melissa, Gi and Brandon were great. They have a way of making you feel welcomed to the hotel. Breakfast was good. Served fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, gravy and biscuits, had a waffle maker, muffins, yogurt, milk, juice and probably a few other things I might have forgot. Internet was alright, seemed to get a litlle slower at night when more guests were there in the rooms, but overall good. Had a large selection of channels on the TV, much more than the usual 20 or so that you get at most other hotels.Rooms were comfortable and had a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker. Overall had a good stay and would reccomend staying at this hotel. Hats off to Melissa and Connie!!
Robin and Connie were the friendliest, most helpful front desk staff I have ever encountered. There was a slight problem at check in but these 2 ladies not only rectified the situation but were the most helpful. i would stay here again as long as those 2 ladies were there because they make you feel comfortable.
I was greeted by Connie when I checked in. She was very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast selections were plentiful. Room was spacious and clean. Second time staying at this location and will definitely stay again when I am in the area.
Short of STAFF, desk person tripled as 'breakfast service', laundry person, desk person, etc. Floors dirty, not vacuumed for 4 days we were there. WiFi would not work in room but was sketchy in bathroom, Worked great in lobby. Will not stay there again, several times year, we are in local area and always stay at the Best Western, but no more. Advertised as "NO PET" yet there were a dog that was NOT a Service dog.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by 2 very friendly staff members. Room was clean and quiet. I was surprised. Most Best Westerns I have been to were not very nice. Coffee was hot and available 24/7. Breakfast room was clean and bright and overlooks the pool. Only complaint I would have was that they need to work on the shower curtain and/or rod. If I ever go back to Albemarle, this is where I would stay.
Best Western in Albemarle, North Carolina very friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, good place to stay. The staff was very nice and helpful and assisted us with anything that we needed. Rooms were comfortable.
This was our second visit since this property became a Best Western (was previously a Hampton Inn). This visit was disappointing; the hotel quality had changed since our first visit. Our room need a good cleaning. The shower curtain was torn in several places. The complimentary shampoo bottle was empty (which I discovered after I entered the shower). The ice maker was out of order so desk clerk directed me to the next floor up. She stated that repair had been called but did not show up. There were cigarette butts around the rear entrance and one butt laying on the card entry box by the door. The air condition unit was unusually loud. Management needs to step up and get this property in order before it's too late. I should also note that our room was directly opposite an exit door and we listened to that door slam periodically.
Great little hotel in Albemarle. Clean, quiet, good location. Staff was amazing; so friendly and caring. Would recommend this hotel very highly if you need to stay in the area! The breakfast was great too!
I recently stayed at the Best Western in Albemarle for business purposes. Connie greeted me, very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are in good condition and well maintained. Wi-Fi is fast, stable and password protected. Breakfast is warm and well run by a friendly staff. Easy access to several restaurants. Located right off Highway 52, very quiet though.
Very nice and clean! Great price and lovely location. Rooms were perfect, spacious, clean and quiet. Kind of off the beaten path of a busy highway. Bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was great the next morning. Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. 5 stars.
I arrived late on Sunday to visit my daughter in college. Went straight to bed, woke up to take a shower and found 3 different colored hairs on the shower wall and one on the mirror. Thought it was an oversight by house keeping so I went out for the day to explore the area came back at 3pm to change cloths and went to see if housekeeping had remedied the problem. NOPE So I took pictures and went to tell the front counter. I got told housekeeping wouldn't be back till morning. Then a long pause ..... she asked if I wanted her to go clean it again? I said yes please and proceeded to leave. I got back to the hotel at 10:00 pm to find one of the shower walls had been washed but there was still hair on the other 2 and the mirror see pics the hair from the wall she cleaned was still wadded up in the drain. Same girl was working the front counter I just wanted to go to bed. So at 7:00 am on Tuesday I got up and cleaned the shower and then took a shower. When I spoke to the manager at 8:00 am her solution to the problem was to take 10$ of of my bill. GROSS, bad housekeeping dirty floors in the hall ways all around not a well run establishment I WONT BE BACK
We stayed for 4 nights during a wedding weekend. The price was great. All of the staff was super nice. Breakfast amenities were adequate (coffee not always hot), and the rooms were large (and decently decorated). My only complaint (if it really is one) is it looks like a lot of construction workers stay there during the week so the carpets in the main room hallways (especially the stairwell) seemed to have a lot of dirt/debris that could have been cleaned up on a more regular basis. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and I would stay there again if back in the area.
I noticed stains on the pillow cases. The night auditor came down to change my sheets. The jets in the spa tub was half working with a missing knob. Overall the hotel was quiet, and the breakfast was pretty good as well.
I stayed here many years ago when this hotel was a Hampton Inn and had no elevator. I was quite disappointed to find out it was a Best Western because I am a loyal Hilton Honor member. But, the receptionist assured me that everything was the same. Just the name has changed and they added an elevator. Because the city of Albemarle has no Hilton Brand hotels, I decide to take her at her word. Well, all I can say is, If it wasn't for the name plastered on the outside, I would have thought I was staying at the Hampton Inn. The customer service is on the level of Hilton. The room was clean, I slept well and they honored my room location request. If the decor of the room was on the level of Hilton, then I would have given this hotel another star. But, they deserve my rating because I was highly satisfied and they put my worries to rest. However, this does not mean that I will now choose Best Westerns over Hilton. What it means is, if I am ever in an area where a Hilton Hotel is not available, I will definitely consider a Best Western over the rest. Hats off to you Best Western!
Nice room at a good price. Breakfast was the typical of complimentary breakfast bars: fresh waffles, institutional scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, pastries, bagels, oatmeal, coffee, tea and fixings. I did really enjoy the fresh watermelon and they had other fresh fruit, too. The room was clean and we got in the internet easily. The fitness center was small, but the equipment was well cared for.
Good value, clean accommodations and friendly staff. The gym was well equipped. Coffee and beverage available all day. We did not take part in the breakfast offerings. The pool is nice. Will return next time in the are.
This place is awesome. All staffs were friendly and smile whole time. I accidentally touch tv instead the remote control which it made remote control not working. I called front desk and they came right in and fixed the tv for me. Place is clean and looks new. I will come back again.
This is a great place to stay. I've stayed at this hotel at least 6-7 times in the last 2 years while visiting friends and family in the area. After my second time the staff remembered me and every time I've returned they've treated me like a family friend. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The lounge area and the rooms are clean and well kept. I used the workout room during one of my stay and the machine worked fine. The internet works well and is easy to connect to after you check in. The only issue you might find is no parking when there are big events in the nearby towns. Because the rooms will book up and they run low on parking. But no sweat ,because they'll tell you where you can park if this should happen The breakfast is always good and they try to stock it up before it becomes empty.
Very satisfied. A good value. I would stay here again.i would recommend this hotel to any travelers to the Albemarle area. Friendly and professional staff, clean rooms, easy and available parking and a great jetted tub (not in every room) made our stay a pleasant one.
Connie was a jewel and very personable while we were there for one night. this hotel is definitely way out in farm land area and not close to much as far as the city goes. the room was ok. the towels were very hard. the exercise room was ok. breakfast was somewhat old tasting. several guests were breaking the rules because when you walked by you could smell some seeping out from under the doors.
This was first time staying in best western. All staffs were very friendly and smile all the time. They makes fresh coffee all the time. This was first hotel that I didn't have internet problem at all. Liked it. I will stay again.
all staffs were very friendly and helpful. When I checked in they even had cookies on the front. The room was extremely clean and looks like just got renovate it. Love to coming back if I am back in Albemarle.
Front lobby was somewhat dingy and uninviting with shabby luggage cart greeting us at the door... the first thing we saw. In addition, the floor was not that clean. Our room was fairly nice and clean and a welcome retreat from the lobby. As far as sleeping, it is really difficult when all you can hear a loud trucks all night, zooming up and down the busy street... and I wore ear plugs! That is pretty bad! If you have to stay there, make sure you get a room on the side of the building facing away from the street and you might actually have a chance to get some sleep.
I cannot say enough positive things about this establishment. I surprised my daughter with a weekend getaway to see her favorite southern gospel singer and decided that it would be safer for us to stay overnight rather than make the two and half hour drive back home late at night. After researching several hotels in the area, I decided upon the Best Western. I'm so thankful I did. I made a mistake with the online reservation, selecting the wrong night. I called the hotel, the sweet nighttime receptionist said she would handle it and call me back. In a matter of minutes, she returned my call, reassuring me that the error on my part was corrected. Upon check-in, I found the hotel to be clean, quiet, and more importantly safe. This was a huge concern for me since it was just my daughter and me traveling alone. The afternoon receptionist greeted me by name and was so friendly! The room was extremely clean....I'm a bed checker and I was very impressed. After returning late in the evening from the concert, we found the parking lot to be well lit and we felt safe walking into the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was perfect! The hospitality by the staff....IMPECCABLE! The only suggestion that I have, that honestly the hotel can't control, is guests slamming doors! It's common courtesy to gently close the door, rather than allowing it to slam on its own. This lack of respect woke my daughter and I up several times during the night. Again, though, this is something the hotel can't be responsible for. We will be returning next year for the same concert and will certainly choose the Best Western as our overnight stay! Great job!!!!
My sister, her husband and I made a trip to Albemarle to visit another sister and our 91 year-old aunt who has recently had some health issues. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the lobby area and our room. The desk clerks were congenial and helpful. The breakfast was a full, hot breakfast and varied enough to satisfy various dietary needs. We have stayed in several other hotels in the area, but we are always more pleased when this Best Western has availability for the dates we need!
Connie made our reservation and was at the desk when we checked in. She was delightful. All the staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. We will be back again.
We stayed here last weekend for a wedding out of town. He had to drive about 2 hours so we got a hotel for the weekend. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean and fully stocked rooms with everything that we needed. Beds could use some improvements, but I'm use to memory foam. My back hurt some after 2 nights. It is right off the road, so there is some noise from the street, but if you turn the fan on it drowned most of it out. Breakfast selection was good. On Saturday there was no issues on breakfast, but on Sunday someone had turned off the warmers and the food was cold and I had to ask a staff member to use the microwave to warm it up since we were getting ready to leave. Breakfast was supposed to be until 10am on Sundays and it was 9:30 when we went out to eat. I didn't want to have to stop and pay for a meal on the way home when this was included. But overall a good experience. I would come here again if I needed to.
Friendly staff. Property good shape equip/decor wise. More attention to cleaning would improve to a “4” .. room musky, prev customer trash & tub soap ring. I did not advise upon check-out .. wasn't asked.
Best of City, been using hotels in this city for over 30 years, faithful to HI Experss for 20 years, gave up for Best Western Albemarle when "forced" to the Best Western due to 'No Room in the HI' Best overall Best Western through out the USA, lots and lots of traveling, over 30 nights in hotels per year.a
We stayed here during the coastal evacuation resulting from Hurricane Irma. We were very pleased with the accommodations, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff members were super-friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the rates were very affordable. The breakfast was convenient but bare bones. Highly recommended!
My stay has been very pleasant and comfortable. No disturbances, the attendants were very polite. The rooms were always cleaned and fresh smelling. Anything that a guest would need was available so far I have nothing negative to say at this point.
I called the location directly to reserve our room. The lady I talked with was very friendly and went out of he way to accommodate our needs and to give us the best rate possible. From check in to departure this was a very positive and pleasant stay .
My husband and I stayed here 8/5-8/7 with our three daughters -- ages 2, 4 and 7. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the staff was nothing but friendly and kind, despite us being a little, um, rambunctious. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was a standard free breakfast -- nothing spectacular, but everything was fresh and neat. It's the staff who makes this hotel shine. Everyone was so kind. It was a great stay.
The entire hotel staff was very professional and friendly. The hotel room rates were very affordable. Food was great and I really appreciated being assigned to a room with a jacuzzi. The pool and the fitness room were also great.
A six night stay while visiting family. From the moment we registered the first night right up until we left, we were treated with excellent customer service. From the housekeeping staff to the front desk staff, we were always greeted with a smile and friendly hello. Our room was consistently clean throughout the time we were there. The breakfast area was kept clean and an attendant was always on duty. A fresh pot of decaf coffee was offered to me usually at the end of day. We did not experience any of what other travelers did other than the pool. It was in need of repair. It was not an issue for us but it would have been had been traveling with children.
Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk for close to 30 mins. She was in the back talking. Once checked in I was informed the pool was closed due to needing repairs. Room was very dated and dingy. Dead bug on the floor. Dirty towel still on the sink etc. However the bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a joke. Lots of empty items and they were even out of coffee. No attendant could be found to even see if more coffee was coming. Overall experience was not good and I stay at Best Westerns a lot. I will not be going back to that one. I will stay at the Holiday Inn Express if I'm in that area
Although, I gave this hotel a raving review last time I stayed there in April, I was significantly disappointed by my room quality this time. The staff were exceptional, and the breakfast was delicious, but that does not make up for the fact I felt dirty the entire time I was staying there. Major room upgrades need to be made, and they need better housekeeping service. The floors looked like they had not been vacuumed in ages.
No setting temp control to run fan continually in room. Would not have been a big deal except it was very loud and it would go from loud for 5 minutes, and then totally silent for 1 minute. Going from Loud to silent is a big variance, especially for a light sleeper. Everything else was to expectation and staff was great. But didn't sleep a wink at all. If you are a heavy sleeper, it might not be an issue for you
Great value with great amenities. Breakfast has great options and variety. Outdoor pool is nice. Surrounding area has many shopping and dining selections to choose from. Easy access to expressway to get to any destination.
We stayed here for one night while attending an event in Albemarle. The hotel was pretty nice. The staff members were very professional and friendly. I thought the breakfast was nice also. Definitely would recommend this hotel if you are ever in Albemarle.
Polite staff, clean rooms, decent breakfast... I would stay here again. This review is to have a 200 character minimum which is ridiculous. So I'm just rambling on to say that this was a good place to stay!
I always stay at Best Western hotels and I have never been disappointed. I stay every year at Best Western Revere Inn and Suites, Best Western in GA and this was my first stay in Albemarle, NC. The hotel was clean, rooms great and employees very pleasant. The Albemarle hotel was very close to all of my family activities.
We were traveling from Pendleton, SC to Pineherst, NC. We stoped in Albemarle to visit relatives and knew it would've too late to travel onto Pineherst Sunday night. I figured this would be the case and had checked out the motels in Albemarle ahead of time. BW had the best ratings of all the Hotels -- so that is where we stayed. Now I know firsthand WHY BW was tatted the best.
This is a nice clean hotel. The staff is very good and you can tell management cares about them and the happiness of the guests. The breakfast is well maintained by the staff and is step above what other similar hotels offer (it's not just breakfast pastries, coffee and the like). They normally have Waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, cereals, etc., so only the picky few will have issues for this pricepoint hotel. As one reviewer mentions the area is not great, I do not feel concerned when in the parking lot but do make sure all items of value are not left in view in my car. If you are not a hard sleeper the front of the hotel does have some road noise, so ask for a room at the back on either one of the two floors.
My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights the weekend of her dance competition. It is an older hotel. (It was a Hampton Inn at one time....and they turned it into a Best Western.) The rooms are very clean. The lobby was renovated. The breakfast was very good. The biggest drawback was the sketchy neighborhood it's in. There is a very shoddy old motel next door...it made my daughter nervous to be in the parking lot after dark. If you have to stay in Albemarle, this is a decent place. Just be aware of your surroundings.
Very clean and friendly staff. Definitely the best hotel in Albemarle. The woman that checked me in was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and bathroom. The area is close to a gas station and grocery stores, restaurant etc.
Me and my wife had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western and we really enjoyed ourselves. Everything was so clean and breakfast was great! We were also very impressed with the staff, especially a front desk clerk by the name of Jenn who came into our room herself just to fix a small issue we had with our television. Needless to say we will most definitely be staying there again!! Great hotel!!!
I've stayed in this hotel before when it was a Hampton Inn I think. This is about its 3rd rebranding. The hotel is clean rooms are nice. Breakfast was a little above average for business class hotel. Staff are very helpful and super friendly and really want to make your stay a great one. This hotel and the Holiday Inn Express are the only two hotels I would recommend in Albemarle. Avoid everything else.
loved our stay and they did anything for us. Very informative for everything we needed to know and helpful. highly recommend to any one family or friends. Will stay here again in the future. close to any attraction and plenty of shopping
The room was clean, breakfast was good with enough variety, but the staff is exceptional. They are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The only negative was the carpeting could have used a cleaning.
The Best Western Hotel in Albemarle, NC is a very nice place to stay. It is very clean, has an outstanding and friendly staff, and offers a hot breakfast for the price of the room. The hotel is reasonably price and has a lovely reception and breakfast area. The best hotel in town.
I stayed here for a business trip. Things were really nice, the bed very comfortable. My stay was almost three weeks. The only issue I had was with their laundry machines. The washer was small and fairly expensive to use. The dryer was out of order but they let us use the big commercial dryer they had. We spent a lot of time in the lobby visiting with the other people that traveled with us. No problems at all during our visit.
This is the nicest hotel close to Pfeiffer Unversity. There are some very shady ones for cheaper that even i would not go to. This Best Western has the nicest staff around. And i have been to some nice hotels. They are always (day or middle of the night) friendly and helpful. Sometime time they leave out warm chocolate chip cookies that are great also.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean. Great breakfast. Comfortable room. Fairly close to shopping and several attractions in the area. Unfortunately it was raining so much from the storm. Still enjoyed ourselves. Wonderful bbq place - Log Cabin Bbq - right up the street.
We spent 2 nights while attending an event in a nearby city. It was a convenient location with easy access. The staff was efficient, friendly and helpful. It was clean and quiet with no rowdy guests in other rooms. There was adequate parking with well lighted parking lot. A help yourself with breakfast area that had a good selection of foods both hot and cold.
Nice stay from start to finish. Melissa who checked us in was outstanding and helpful. A true asset to the motel. At check out Rachel was very friendly also. Rooms were great. Plan on staying again on our next visit.
My sister and I stay at this hotel when we come to Albemarle for our family reunion. It is always clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Albemarle area.
I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. My only issue would be the bed could stand to have been a bit softer but other than that my stay was awesome. Great hotel and being CLC I actually got points for my stay which is getting more and more rare. So kudos to you. If in the area I will stay again and highly recommend it to anyone else.
The Albemarle Best Western hotel is a hidden diamond in the Best Western hotel chain. Wonderful stay. No problems whatsoever. Exceptionally clean. Gracious management and staff. Considerate and caring. Recommend highly.
We stayed at this hotel because we wanted to visit Morrow Mountain State Park. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate your needs. We had a room that was a bit smelly upon arrival due to construction workers having smoked in the room next to us. The staff solved that problem right away. The next day my back was hurting and I could hardly move, and when I asked if they had an ice pack they also accommodated that. We had the pleasure of meeting Rachele who seems to enjoy her job and is so pleasant. Breakfast was great, the room was very nice, I can only recommend it!
It is very easy to write a review of my stay at the BEST WESTERN ALBERMARLE. great personal both on the front desk and the dining room. Clean confortable rooms. All this and at a great calre GREAT VALUE. GREAT ROOMS QUIET FANTASTIC PERSONAL.
We had a lot of people in town for a family wedding that occupied several rooms and the staff went above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast area, meeting room and accommodations were first class.
Short and sweet: Great experience. Helpful, courteous staff, super clean throughout, nice decor, roomy bathroom! Also very good breakfast. Group booking for out of town wedding. Could not have been more pleased with the service received here.
OK so to start with the only reason I don't give this hotel a perfect rating is parking. The parking is a little tight. With that being said this is a GREAT property. I have stayed here twice so far this year and each time has been great. The rooms are perfect, beds sleep great, everything works in the rooms and no outside noises to deal with. The staff are always friendly and will usually go out of their way to make the customers happy. I have reviewed this property in the past and there is no reason to not stay here if in the area. I cannot comment on breakfast because I am always gone well before. They do have early coffee available in the lobby.
My twin and I travelled to Albemarle to visit our 91 year old godmother who is in a nursing home there. We always stay at the Best Western because it is a wonderful hotel, with excellent staff, a fully stocked breakfast bar, hot cookies at the front desk, and the softest beds on Earth. We would never stay anywhere else! Why would we?
We love ? this Bestwestern. They are make us feel like family. There breakfast are good and fresh. The staff are awesome ??. We use this hotel just because it is good. The only thing that could be better would to maybe get a little bit better discount on our travel club discount. But overall two thumbs up ??.
Can't go wrong at the Best West Albemarle Inn in Albermarle North Carolina. Our family have been staying at this Best Western since my son was a freshman at Pfeiffer. He will be graduating this May! Thank you Best Western for all of the great stays at your Inn!
This was a centrally located spot for a large group of us from Maryland. The employees were so friendly and helped us choose places to eat in the local area. They were "spot on" with their suggestions. The rooms were clean and refreshed on a daily basis. The breakfast menu choices had something for everyone. On previous group trips to this area we were at different locations. This was "THE BEST". We hope to stay here when we returning he future. And...by he way the cookies were awesome!
I was visiting alone and felt very comfortable and safe. The room was very nice and clean. I definitely would recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay while visiting this side of town. The breakfast was also very good.
Very nice clean hotel with good breakfast. Location near Pfeiffer University was the reason we stay at this hotel, as our son attends there. Surrounding area very nice to sight see, vineyards, golf, and antique shopping. Only complaint is the king bed we were sleeping on was extremely firm and woke with sore muscles.
Clean rooms and a friendly helpful staff. Breakfast bar provided, other food choices are available close by. In-room coffee, cable tv, very comfortable bed. The local area has a lot of history and other places to visit.
The room was okay, however it could use some updating. The carpet was not really dirty, it just looked dingy and dull.. The furniture was old and drab. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was clean and well stocked.
Staff was very friendly and the accommodations were exactly what I needed. They made good suggestions for where to eat and were very helpful in making my stay as comfortable as possible. Only wish they had Splenda in the room for my coffee.
In town for a wedding, not whole lot to do in the town, (depends on your interests). The breakfast choices are pretty standard blah, but beats a blank. Facility is well located with close proximity to food and shopping. Clean with very friendly and helpful staff. I would return if I had to return to that area.
Was satisfied with room, was clean and odor free. Was not disturbed by noises at night. Service at desk was excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed having breakfast before leaving for the day, good variety offered.
This is the second time we stayed here. Cleans rooms and good service. Breakfast was as expected. Never stayed before the renovations but it looks like the hotel has had a total makeover for the good.
We love the people there, but the beds are horrible. Lumpy and very bad for the back. All the people are terrific. We have tried all the hotels in the area and very much appreciate Best Western with exception of the horrible beds.
I had to stay in Albemarle longer than expected and the BW Albemarle Inn was suggested. Sign in was fast and easy, a little nap, quick dinner at a Mexican Cafe close by and then back to work. The room was clean, quiet, and the air conditioner was fairly quiet.
The Best Western in Albemarle is our favorite place to stay. We've stayed there on vacation trips for years and even the grandchildren look forward to going back each year. Good location, excellent restaurants nearby, comfortable, nice breakfasts.
Thank you for the nice stay. I look forward to coming back again when traveling through the area. Excellent value overall and situated very close to two excellent bar-b-que restaurants. What else could you want! Nice clean room, pleasant staff and a breakfast on par with any of this chains compettitors.
Starting from the staff to the rooms everything about the Best Western Albemarle is really good. Jay, Pana and Melissa are super helpful and will do everything in their power to insure you are taken care of. Great stay every time. Rooms are always clean.
Great customer service! Very accommodating. Staff at the desk very nice upon checkin and checkout. Breakfast was good and fast. Will definitely be staying at this location again in the near future. Thank you!!
Took a road trip to get away. Stopped here and was glad. Awesome people behind the desk. Great experience. Will be stopping here next time through. They keyed us into a great little bbq place within walking distance from the hotel.
I stay at the Best Western when I work on the weekends in Albemarle. The people who work there are so helpful and nice. I'm always greeted with a smile. The rooms are always clean and very quiet. I enjoy the hot breakfast in the mornings. I highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure!
We were warmly greeted and made quite comfortable. I checked out having left behind an article of clothing and received a call on my cell from them advising me as I traveled onward . They confirmed my home address and it was waiting for me when I arrived home.
Very poor people at the front desk. Room was clean and bed slept well. The room was nice Not much to eat around the hotel. Breakfast was advertised but there was no eggs or biscuits and 4 slices of bacon. There was only 4 people in the loby.
Well run hotel with good amenities, free hot breakfast, good TV service and by far the best wireless Internet I've ever encountered....and all at a reasonable price. Room was spacious and comfortable with updated bathroom.
Visited this small community on the outskirts of Charlotte on a business trip with my husband. Only stayed one night but the room was exceptionally comfortable and clean. The hotel was established in 2013 so it was fairly new. However there was some painting and construction going on in the stairway so the only way to get up was by elevator which was fine by me. We stayed in room 221 and it was facing the side of someone's house. The street made it noisy and you could hear trucks all night. The lady at the front desk was polite. I give it 4 stars!
This is a wonderful hotel. Nice facility, very convenient, an excellent value, with a pleasant and helpful front desk staff. Our only issue was that in 3 days, our room was never serviced. On the first day, we mentioned it to the front desk who apologized and thanked us for letting them know......but still no housekeeping.....in three days??
We just spent two nights at this hotel and were surprised how nice and conveniently located it was. Although they had renovations going on, it was very clean and quiet. Our room was nice and comfortable and the breakfast was great with many choices and warm breakfast items. Also, they had recycling trashcans in the room and other environmentally conscious signs up. The employees were extremely helpful and courteous. This is a very well managed hotel.
First there isn't a ton of selection here, but if you come to this little bright spot in NC. it would be well worth your time and money to stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff, very clean and spacious rooms, didn't try breakfast but if it was anything like the rest of the experience, it would've been good. Located on one of the main strips in town and pretty easy access to any place you want to be. We're going back soon and know we have a great place to stay while we're there. b
Best customer service of any hotel I have ever experienced. Clean rooms. Hotel smells clean. Pet free which is good for my allergies. Tara and Rachele were simply awesome and attentive. Breakfast is great! Hot breakfast and also continental.
Excellent service and cleanliness. Breakfast was awesome and fitness center was great. Front desk person was very helpful and informative on discounts for Pfeiffer parents. We will take advantage of that if our daughter chooses to attend Pfeiffer. Highly recommend this hotel.
we really enjoyed our stay at this Best Western in Albemarle, N.C.. Very Clean and comfortable. We will most likely stay here again! Nice Pool, The breakfast is fair, didn't like the eggs and biscuits, but everything else was good!
Absolutely the best place in stanly county to stay! Staff very nice, clean rooms, safe area, good breakfast, comfortable beds...can't give enough compliments. Great experience overall. Will definitely stay there each time I'm in the area.
All of the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We used the hotel for my daughter's wedding. The front desk receptionist worked with me to provide Welcome bags to all of the guests. On the day of the wedding, the junior bridesmaid got something on her dress. The front desk receptionist provided me with some shout & a toothbrush to get the stains out. It worked! The staff that set-up the meeting room for the bridal party to get their hair & make-up done did an excellent job. The shuttle driver did a great job getting everyone to and from the wedding. The overall experience was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that uses Dennis Vineyards for their wedding and needs to provide a hotel to their out-of-town guests. The staff is great!
The hubs and I stayed here because we wanted to do some sight seeing and hiking at Morrow Mountain and this hotel was fairly close. What a nice surprise! Fresh hot breakfast each morning and honestly the best coffee I've had in a long time! Clean room, comfy bed and pillows, and nice layout! The staff was helpful and friendly. If ever in the area again, this will be where we will stay!
My daughter goes to Pfeiffer University and we go to visit. Best hotel in the area. I have stayed at a couple of others in salisbury ...not very good with partial smoking hotels ...really. Like the smoke does not go every where?? This is the best.
