Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel

We stayed from 28th Dec-4th Jan. What an amazing stay from start to finish. Customer service was great, Reception staff friendly and helpful. Hotel shuttle great. Room massive and clean. Resturant / Room service great. Food from Zara resturant was amazing. Laundry service quick. Breakfast lovely and dining staff were lovely. Pool area lovely - could have done with a little clean but it was good enough. I used the salon to braid my hair, the lady was so fast and friendly - a little pricey but I didnt mind paying for the convenience. Honestly I have no complaints. My first trip to Ghana was made 100% better by this hotel which delivered on all bases. Thanks so much will deffo use again !! Highly reccomend to all!!

The Hotel is a lovely place to stay, the rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Spent most of my time in meetings has had very little time to interact with the staff but the little time that I did, it was a very good experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We had a 3 day training session at the hotel. I was lucky to stay in room A1 on the 5th floor, my room was very spacious with a king size bed. The bathroom had twin sinks, a jacuzzi and a separate shower. The hotel is airconditioned through out and very clean and well decorated . For my stay from the 23 -26 October 2023 we only ate in the in-house restaurant " Zara." The food was very good with a varied menus so you dont get bored with the food. This is now my favourite hotel in Ghana and when in Accra I will be trying to stay here. The staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly and they keep the hotel spotlessly clean! The only negatives are that you do not get shower caps, robes or slippers but I had packed my own so it didn't bother me.

The hotel had a problem with the water supply for more than 12h and couldn't fix it. We had no water at all for all our basic necessities. Staff didn't know when the problem would be fixed. In the end we moved to a different hotel. Room is very big and spacious and it was clean. Shower could be better. Hotel facilities are old and outdated. Internet was also quite slow.

Great rooms with quiet ambience. Food was excellent too. Housekeeping and restaurant were exceptional as well. The pianist in the lobby was great! Issues with water took a bit of time to fix, but in the end, it was fine. Will give an 80% rating

I experienced great service at the facility. Rooms were neat with good food as well. Be it business or leisure I will recommend this hotel. It is close to the airport and the central business district. The staff were welcoming and ready to assist you

I bring my groups to Ghana annually, and for the past two years, I've made this establishment our last stop before leaving for the states. This hotel never disappoints. In fact, out of the four hotels in which we stay, my travelers say they like this one the most. I can't say enough about the hospitality and professional of the day and evening managers, handsome Eric and the lovely Patience. How incredibly accommodating they both were! We needed extra space for particular group activities, and both accommodated us with kindness, thoughtfulness, and professionalism. Their warm reception to weary travelers meant more than words can describe. Additional staff, namely, Joseph, Jacob, and Ibrahim, went above and beyond and made staying at this lovely hotel a delight. Adding to the experience are the common areas like the beautiful pool and the serene courtyard. They're both little oases in the city of Accra. We chose to take our meals here instead of going out, and it was a great decision. The chef takes pride in his food, it was displayed lovely and with care, and the meals were delicious! Waitstaff were courteous, accommodating, and patient. This will always be a stop for my clients, and Best Western should be very proud to have this gem in its portfolio of hotels. It's the managerial staff and the people they oversee that make this a wonderful place to rest.

Booking of the accommodation was easy and transfer from the airport was superb. The staff are friendly and committed. The service from the reception to the dinning are exceptional. The only short comings I experienced during my stay was the way rooms on the first floor are managed. Since it is obvious that the rooms are exposed to the reception, so there is every possibility that mosquitoes could sneak into the rooms. There should be a way to protect the guests from the mosquitoes. There is also a need for the supervisors to go round the rooms and ensure that required items like soap, towel, complimentary water, tea are provided. Management controls need to be put in place to improve services in the hotel.

It was a pleasant experience staying at Best Western Premier Hotel, Accra. It was particularly seamless making a reservation from Lagos. My one week stay is also memorable. Of particular assistance are Irene Samari and Stacy Ann who help at making the reservation and offered professional services throughout my stay. I'll definitely come back again.

I currently staying at this hotel and I can say that I'm enjoying my stay here! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. The hotel is beautiful and very well-maintained. My room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, always making sure that I am comfortable and satisfied with my stay.

A natural homely and friendly environment devoid off unwanted distractions is what I will describe this facility . Calm and serene atmosphere which makes one feel at home coupled with nice and fantastic tilapia okro stew with banku. Love the local dish.

I expected better from a Best Western. The organization I went to facilitate with constantly had to push back the management because things that had been booked months before were not in place. One night manager was quite rude when I requested for a late check-out as I was flying out late the next day. She insisted they needed to see money before she allowed it even though the organization I was with is a valued global partner and customer. The manager on the next day was much nicer and very accommodating and did everything to give me a room for a quick shower before my flight. At breakfast it was clear that the cleanup team hadn't done their job - there was food still on the floor, including rice and ketchup. There were some very friendly staff but overall this was not a good experience.

The staff in this hotel understand the notion of customer service to the core. They are very welcoming and polite, paying attention to everything you have to say as a customer. The food is varied and very well made.

Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel experience was wonderful . Felt at home away from home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is sumptuous with an opportunity to try local cuisines. The drop-off and pick up is also a nice experience, the internet is superb and with a wonderful staff the service at the hotel is wonderful experience.

The hotel ambience is amazing, from the entrance, all the way to the front desk, and rooms. The hotel staff are excellent in their work. Smartly dressed and always ready to serve. Very satisfied with the facility except for areas that requires improvements. Some of the bath rooms needs expansion and others too high to climb and descend. Makes bathing difficult at times. It is important to consider reviewing those areas that posses challenges to visitors.

Stayed here for a week for a training. Hotel location is very good ,near the airport and not far from malls and other attractions. Hotel is a lil bit dated but very clean and well maintained,however it might be time to put in new carpets and upgrade some of the decor. Don't stay above the conference room if you are staying over the weekend ,there is a church service there all afternoon. Food wass buffet style at the resturant ,breakfast had a good selection ,lunch and dinner was okay with both Ghanian and continental offerings.I would have loved more grilled food and seafood.You must try thier fruit juices absolutely lovely. The staff are attentive and respond to complaints in a timely manner. In all it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel is hyped up. For a start, check-in is incredibly slow -- perhaps unsurprisingly, as there's just one person manning the front desk. The food isn't great either. The grouper I was served for dinner was dry and the chicken sausage for breakfast is from a tin. The croissant was plasticky, and juice labelled as watermelon clearly had citrus mixed in. To be fair, that was tasty -- just wrongly labelled, which creates a risk for people with citrus allergies. The silvers in the shower/tub section of the bathroom have lost their shine and looked old. I suspect it's from poor cleaning. Fortunately, none of this is irredeemable -- that's if management cares to take note.

Oh dear. My premier room bore little resemblance to the smart pictures on the website and completely not what I expected from the title “Premier”. My room was clearly not one of the refurbished ones and firmly stuck in a 1970s time warp, drab and dreary – and with just one single plug socket.. The small bathroom had a shower/bath, but there was no shower curtain, the pressure was dreadful, with the water dribbling out. There were two redeeming features, one is that it is possible to pay for a half day, which means until 8pm, and that's mighty handy if you are catching an evening flight, the second is a decent modern slim large TV (although it seems completely out of place with the rest of the room). Dreadfully overpriced for what it is. Possibly ok if you have a refurbished room. Exercise caution.

Excellent hotel with close proximity to the airport and other amenities. Please feel free to ask employees for anything that your need or information. The hotel employees from drivers, front desk staff and restaurant staff are all well trained and very focused on delivering value to customers

I truly must admit that the hotel and most of their services was excellently deliver and its worth every penny you spend. location to the airport is just the best for anyone that is worried for the traffic in Accra. The reception from the check in desk is professional and they are well informed concerning any information you would want to throw at them. i do feel they should be paid more

My son previously lodged at the Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel. "Ma, they will take good care of you" and he was correct. All Best Western hotel staff wore face masks and hand sanitizer stations were located throughout the hotel. Even guests complied with wearing face coverings. My initial contact with the hotel was with Ms. Ama Owusua who told me about a direct hotel promotional offer that included breakfast and dinner at better rate than what I had booked through another travel website. The morning after I arrived, Ms. Owusua was there to greet me with such a lovely smile and a “how did you sleep, is there anything we can do to make your stay better”? Everyone from Joseph or Prince who helped me out the car, Afia of housekeeping, Sam at the Vine restaurant and the front staff ensured that my stay was comfortable, greeted me in the morning and upon my return in the evening. Ms. Afia in housekeeping (there was another young lady, however I don't remember her name) attended to my room in a timely manner and provided me with a robe and slippers. I'm picky about the mattress firmness or lack thereof for a good night sleep. Next to being at home, every night was a restful sleep. I wished I could have slept longer however there were so many people to see and much to do while in Accra. Shopping at the malls, visiting relatives, going to Cape Coast, Kasoa, Osu and Titanic City were some of my stops. While I didn't have an opportunity to have a massage, use the pool or gym these amenities are available to hotel guests. Mr. Joseph or Mr. Prince always greeted me with a “good day Mum”, helped me out the car and took any bags I had up to my room. After a long day this gesture was appreciated. By the next evening of eating at the Vine, Sam knew what I liked, Rose' with my meal and that my son wanted chicken wings. The local dishes at MM Zara, kenkey, palava sauce with fried fish and banku was so very delicious too. The hotel restaurant staffs (for breakfast and dinner), especially the young lady at the omelet station were all very attentive. Thank you again Ms. Owusua for your help, suggestions, and all you did to make my stay at the Best Wester Premier Airport Hotel stay exceptional. God spare life, I hope to see you again! C. Location is near by airport, Breakfast was very good, Front office Ms. Blansh & Alex was very helpful. Specially Ms. Blansh help us taxi booking both way & also suggest us indian Restaurent. Room are quite small, bathroom is very small.. Toiletries are very limited & not giving luxury feelings..

This is a serene and quiet hotel that provides you a very welcoming place to retire to, after a hard day's work. I will recommend this hotel all day long for people who are desirous of a quiet environment to sleep and or relax for the evening as they prepare for the challenges of the next day.

Hotel is ok, food is fine. Internet is slow, but better than others. It is clean and tidy, rooms are ok. TV service is better than others. It was a shame the pool was not in service. What made the stay was the stay were mostly pleasant and helpful. A member of staff comes to mind, Blanche Hounsou-Kone who worked at reception. Often I saw how she dealt with problematic customers, calming them down and reassuring them that the hotel was sorry and took their compliment seriously, her behaviour made me think she was a manager there. Very Professional and very courteous and helpful to me and a credit to the hotel. After reading a question below, i also can say that she spoke French!

Their Staff are absolutely lovely and offers such an incredibile customer services, Breakfast is awesome! They offer authentic menus at both the bar and the Zara restaurant! One of my many trips to Africa but first trip to Ghana. I am having a wonderful stay at the Best Western hotel in Accra. Staff is very friendly, Rooms are Nice. The food is excellent. As a Nurse I saw all precautions carried out from the staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Came to Ghana with my grandmother and best friend Great service very nice staff. Will definitely stay here again. Went to MMA Zara restaurant in the hotel Christina and the staff were so helpful. Staff help with luggage and made me feel at home. When you come to Ghana staying here is a must

Felt welcome from the moment I stepped in to the lobby; friendly, helpful staff as always. one negative was that not all the drinks were available in the restaurant (non alcoholic). Rooms are well kept and functioning well, enough entertainment to keep you busy for a short stay. Will recommend to stay there any day. Thank-you

Hotel looked to be really nice but once in the room it was a bit dated and fairly rough. I had dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed my spicy squid.. service was good and the restaurant was clean...

I visited Accra for work and got a chance of staying there for a month.It is a perfect place to stay for either long term or short term with superb staff(Alex, Ayele) to mention a few.Honestly all the staff there were amazing, friendly, polite and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and safe. I was impressed with the preventative measures they've put in place to curb Covid-19 which is followed to the latter. Everyone is kept safe. The room was spectacular, comfortable, spacious and very clean. I loved their breakfast and they have excellent food too. It's located in a very convenient serene secure place few minutes drive from the airport or Accra mall. It's a safe haven for solo travelers too.Definitely going back.

I stayed in this lovely hotel with few of my friends for two weeks and I must say we all very happy with the beautiful service of this hotel and the professionalism of all the staff. Came with some friends to Mma Zara restaurant for a hangout,we spoke to chef Francis to serve us a buffet instead of A La carte.In a short time great tasty meals were served.They have good customer service in a nerve calming environment. Good work done! Great team!A recommended place for everyone

Excellent service from the minute one is picked up at the airport until one departs. The rooms are very comfortable, everything works well and the hotel is a quiet haven overall. Meals are very enjoyable and service excellent. I have stayed in this hotel over several years since 2011, and I will continue staying here in the future. It is highly recommended. Blanche at the reception and Lydia of housekeeping deserve an extra mention, although in reality all staff are super attentive, friendly and efficient.

Best Western airport Accra has never failed in making my business trips to Accra as fulfilling and comfortable as can be, Blanche's welcoming smile, readiness to assist and never tiring effort to make every one feel at home away from home can never go unnoticed. The staff are very friendly, the General Manager Mr. Rakesh was awesome and his promptness to guests inquiry and hospitality is top class. The staff are very friendly and the rooms amazing, I love the size of the beds and quiet environment that inspires productive work time. The internet connection is very good, I can't wait to come back again as soon as I can!

Nice location next to the airport and they have a shuttle bus going to mall. The driver was very kind to wait us there and bring us back safely. The room is clean and big. The stuff make sure you are fine and always there to help. They helped me to print something on the reception early in the morning before 7 am. They have few restaurants and nice terrace to enjoy the meal. Also, room service available.

Best Western Premier Hotel, has a very Serene atmosphere, its an excellent choice for relaxing and having your business meetings, good delicious food. Excellent customer service from the well trained hotel staff. Free WiFi to top it up, a spacious car park. I really love my stay at best Western, i will always love to come back here. All covid-19 protocols are being followed by the staff and its guests. I would advise that you choose BEST WESTERN, a decision you would never regret you took.

I have been on a business meeting in Accra for the past two weeks and always reside at BWP. The friendliness of the staff needs to be commended but one that stands out at the reception for her exceptional communication and readiness to attend to complaints and request is a lady called Blanche. She is doing great.

I have stayed in this hotel quite a few times during the months of June, July and October. Each time the rooms were clean and of a good size. The hotel staff and manager Rakesh could not be nicer, always on hand to help or arrange assistance if required. The food menu is also extensive and excellent. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Experienced very good customer care and COVID protocols were also observed. Hand sanitizers were provided, frequent checks on guest of any need of services. Hygienic room with air purifiers. Emergency arrangement in place and communicated to the guest upon arrival. Contactless check-in.

I stayed there with a group in full isolation and not allowed to step out of he room. Rakesh and his team made sure that all was to perfection. All meals were delivered on time and quality was great. He had a very good system in place for communication and all request was catered. Well done to Rakesh. Will surely stay again there.

I Stayed at the Best Western during a Business trip to Ghana with a party of 10 people , Unfortunately it was during the Covid pandemic, however Rakesh and his team went above and beyond to look after us and keep us safe. Clean Rooms, Good Food and friendly staff.

I stayed at the Best Western for 2 weeks while in quarantine and found the hotel very accommodating considering the circumstances. Rakesh went out of his way to ensure we were all looked after during those trying times and kept us informed of any updates as required. Would like to go back when times return to normal to actually enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. The pool and surrounding area was very inviting but we're closed due to covid as was the restaurant. Food was being delivered to the room and was still tasty, so I could imagine how much better it would be sitting in the courtyard off the restaurant. Thanx Rakesh for looking after us. Stayed at this hotel for 18 days quarantine when arrived to work in Ghana during the COVID-19 pandemic. My stay was very pleasant. The staff were excellent; very attentive, friendly and professional during a difficult time. Rakesh the hotel manager couldn't have been more helpful; and attended to any requests made promptly and cheerfully. Only reason not 5 stars as bar, restaurant and pools were not open (due to COVID-19). Highly recommended. Would stay again. Cheers Scott W

Hotel was visited during on arrival in Ghana to observer fourteen days mandatory quarantine. Good interpersonal relationship with management and staff was observed. Staff were professional and meals were well prepared and tasty. Facilities were well maintained.

The facility looks clean and nicely kept. Even with the restricted service caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, the services were excellent. On time and very professional! I would occasionally receive a call from housekeeping to know if everything is ok and also if I would need any assistance. I would recommend Best Western Premier to anyone who is travelling to Accra.

I would highly recommend the Best Western, the management and staff could not do enough for you. Service and food was very good and nothing was to much trouble for the team at Best Western. Look forward to my next stay there.

The staff and especially the manager Rakesh were very helpful and made our stay very good. During a difficult time with lockdowns and restrictions the hotel went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible and provide everything we needed. Would recommend staying here when in Ghana.

Spent 2 weeks in bestwestern for COVID 19 quarantine. Very comfortable room, great food with a lot of options from local to continental dishes and excellent service all round. Would definitely recommend if you're in Accra.

After a long travel and waiting at the airport I finally arrived the hotel on the evening around 9pm, I was greeted with friendly staff while checking in. To my surprise there was no drinking water available, not in the lobby or not even in the room, due to the late arrival. After a 30 minute hunt around the building, the receptionist were able to obtain a bottle of water for me. Due to the quarantine rules the meals were served at the rooms. For the first couple of days all the meals were delivered without any fork & knife, so I had to go back to my roots and eat with my hands (not very hygienic during a pandemic). I figured out that if I didn't ask I would not get any, so to make my life easier I started washing my eating tools in the bathroom so I didn't have to use my hands. The Wi-Fi throughout the hotel have good coverage but the speed is very very poor, super slow speed, being in quarantine you would expect the hotel to improve the bandwidth to satisfy customer (youtube, Netflix etc). When showering I'm forced to hold the showerhead since the bracket is broken, also the hot water is pulsing from hot to cold which is s bit annoying. I spent a whole day trying to chase down a kettle for making tea and coffee since the one provided had the EU kind of socket. Overall the service is good, as you would expect from any hotel.

Stayed in this hotel during a quarantine period (COVID-19). Stay was very organised and comfortable. Under the circumstances, food was very good and plenty of choice. Every request was addressed and any issues resolved very quickly. Grounds were kept clean and well presented. Staff were very friendly and they followed the strict guidelines very well. Room was spacious and had everything I needed. TV channels very good and WiFi was excellent. The manger, Rakesh, dealt with the demands of a busy hotel very well and made the quarantine period of 14 days must more bearable.

Nice hotel, good spacious rooms and great staff and manager, nothing was a bother and all requests were dealt with immediately, most amenities not open as was there during a COVID quarantine for 2 weeks. Would have no qualms visiting again but hopefully in more normal circumstances.

I stayed here for just over 2 weeks and can say it's a really nice hotel. Rooms are quite big and homely. Beds are really comfortable and the food is great. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Hotel is really well organised and the staff are some of the nicest people I've met.

Was staying in this Hotel for two weeks. Very good and warm relation from General Manager and all other personnel as well. Room was clean and very nice looking inside. everything is old, sometimes dirty, used. Shower damaged and dirty. Very Good bed and pillows. Sad restaurant. Food not more than average, but expensive for what it is. Breakfast not too bad. But you can feel that everyhitn is old there. The personnel is nice and tries to Do what they can in such an old and used place.

Enjoy my short stay at the hotel. I came for a business trip and was very overwhelmed with the level of service and attention. I shall definitely stay here during my next visit. The pool was currently under maintenance but didn't matter much. The african restaurant food was delicious. Breakfast has a good selection of food.

Hotel is right near the airport. Nice stop after a long flight. Room was very clean and well kept. Bed comfortable. Hotel could be a little nicer, showing some wear. Overall would definitely stay here again.

For bussiness reasons, just 1-2 days is ok but I suggest to have more control and check the room facilities (a/c for instance ) are working properly. Also, i would suggest more illumination..some areas looks dark.

The Restaurant was extremely slow!!!! Every-time I tried to order on multiple occasions they did not have the item I requested. When I asked what is available they told me to just pick something. After going back and forth 3 different times to the kitchen they suggested I get a burger. On another evening we waited 2 hours for pizza. I was not able to eat it until we came back due to having to be somewhere. I was quoted one price over the phone. Upon arrival which was only 10 minutes later the price went up. I am very aware that they purposely overcharged us because when they tried to ring me up someone had to come over to override the price to give us a higher price. Food Service should not take 1.5 plus hours to eat. They should know what they have available to sell. Towel delivery should not take an hour Needless to stay I left the hotel early and booked a different one.

This hotel is just ok, I have stayed in worse places but it is definitely not up to western standards given how expensive it is. After landing at the airport I called the hotel and requested the shuttle which arrived promptly a few minutes later. Once I got to the hotel, however, the employee working at the front desk was not friendly at all. She also failed to add my BW Rewards number despite telling me she would. The room itself was basically fine, however the shower stall in the bathroom was so tiny that there was no room to move around at all. I found myself constantly bumping into the faucet and doors while showering. The shower also had mold in it. No complaints about the housekeeping service. There were 2 free bottles of water in the room and a small fridge. The Wifi was fast enough and seemed to work throughout the hotel, but there was a list of confusing options for different speeds when first logging in, some free and some not. I went with the fastest free speed. Not sure why anyone would pick the slow free speed so what is the point in having it there? A sign in the lobby claimed that they have the fastest Wifi in Africa, which might actually be true as it seemed faster and had better coverage than the wifi in the other 2 African countries I have visited. At the pool there were no hotel staff to be found anywhere. Based on the website I was under the impression that there was drink service at the pool. It looked like there was a pool bar at some point but it appears to have gone defunct. The interior of the hotel was also extremely hot. There was some AC in the lobby and restaurant but none at all on the upper floors. The room itself had a individual AC unit that only went down to 17C. The one bright spot was the lobby restaurant and bar. Breakfast was good with a variety of options, although the coffee had grounds in it. Breakfast was included in the room price but I only realized this when I saw I wasn't charged for it at checkout. Naturally the front desk lady never informed me about the free breakfast when I checked in. I also had dinner at the bar which was good and reasonably priced. The bartender was very attentive. Overall I do not believe this hotel is a good value. This was my first time in Accra but I would imagine that there are better hotels there.

My wife and I had a reservation and checked in about 1 and a half hours early, along with 2 others in our group. We were told to “wait small” by the ladies at the desk. We waited more than an hour and finally were given our rooms. My wife and I left for the day and into the evening arrived back to the hotel to a very hot room. We called the front desk and were told that someone would check out the AC soon. A gentleman came in about 5 minutes, looked at the AC controller on the wall for a few seconds a d said “I'm coming”........ and never came back. A half hour later at 9:30 pm I called the front desk and was told again “I'm coming”......... nobody showed up. At 10:00 pm we packed our things and left to another hotel. I've stayed at this hotel many times but will never go there again. The people are grossly unprofessional and have ZERO concept of customer service!

Nothing Best here! I made this booking last minute because I decided to arrive Accra a day before my meeting. Again, as a last minute, I decided to take my wife along. She has never been to Ghana before. We arrived quite early and decided to hit the town pending the check in time. We ate at breakfast to breakfast. Good place. We then shopped at Woodin and hit BUKA RESTAURANT for lunch. On returning to this hotel for check in, the attendant who saw me and wife arrived in the morning said I have to pay $40 because my wife will stay with me and that at booking time I only indicated one person staying. Please note that I booked a Premier room and not a single bed room. I said I can understand if I have to pay for her break fast, which I expected to be a practice and consequence. She said no. I then asked, assuming I am a single guy visiting Ghana and my girlfriend lives in town would I still pay same $40, she answered yes so long she is sleeping over. Well, seeing no reason will prevail. I paid On entering the room, I then regretted booking this hotel the more. The bathroom has only a shower cubicle. When I eventually had my bath that evening I kept hitting hand against glass or the wall shower. That tells you how small this cubicle is. I had to be more cautious and bathed like I was in a cell. The drainage also is not effective as water gathers when having bath. The amenity supply in the room are just nothing compared to any hotel that charges this rate. Even $100 hotel in Houston offer for better than this. Frankly, this is some piece of rip off for room stay that cost $247. Even in the US and Canada that I have visited repeatedly, hotels where you pay this much are typically nice hotels. Then, Wi-Fi. Upon signing you will see a dashboard that ask you if you want some speed and you have to pay extra. Damn. I have stayed in budget hotels in Paris, London, Houston etc and never experienced this Wi-Fi rate card. At any rate, i chose the zero cost option and speed was not great but so long we could text our kids back home and catch up on news via social media, we are good. It was however not all gloomy. Breakfast was a okay. Nice array of options and courteous employees at the breakfast area. On checking out, Angela, the receptionist could not even say hi... nor ask if we had a good stay. I dont blame her though, she was at the desk when we arriced must have been on dury round the clock. Please dont leave money with them as deposit. On check out they will ask u to buy something, they won't give u a refund back in good time. They will tell u it will take time to process all in a gimmick to make u forfeit the money..Please Go out 30minutes earlier so u can get your refund. They had me wait so long to refund 13 dollars. They kept calling the supervisor who perhaps was on the phone gisting. I had to walk up to another staff who happens to be the sales and marketing manager. When I was tired, I left and they rush to me with the money in cedis. Will i stay in this hotel again, NEVER.

Starting from the shuttle service from Kotoka International Airport to the Hotel to the reception, the hotel rooms, internet service, the breakfast and the restaurant, it was really enjoyable and I advise my friends and colleagues to use this hotel during their visit of beautiful Accra.

My main problem with the hotel was the room service. They did a bad job cleaning the room, even once not changing the sheets. It was hard to reach any room services on the phone - they didn't answer most of the time A range of facilities exist and they have a very good restaurant for European food but the restaurant for African food is not good at all. I don't know why they don't just have 1 restaurant and a bigger menu. Seemed a bit segregated I'm disappointed overall with the service but the actual building, decor and facilities are OK

Well located with a promt shuttle service on the hour. Reasonably clean rooms. Make sure not to take a carpeted room, and be prepared to have a hand shower in some rooms. I enjoy a normal stand up shower, but that set aside all was well. The food was fantastic and well priced. Good selection on supper and breakfast buffet.

Lodged here on a business trip in Accra, I unfortunately expected more. The hotel is not bad, but services could be better for the price they are charging. Loved their local dishes and some of the staff are friendly. Rooms are clean but some for the sheets and towels are either stained or look old. Complementary WiFi, water. Washroom small and difficult to maneuver.

This is my second stay in this hotel. The room rent is pretty high as compared to the service offered . Not enough light in room. House keeping u can't get over phone whenever u need, the front desk behavior is also rude when u ask for something . They claim themselves as 4 star but in a day only 2 bottles ( 1 ltr) water they will provide as complementary after that they will charge for it. I have never seen this in any good property. Food quality is good but price is very high.

This is a beautiful facility with comfortable rooms. It is unfortunate that the service does not match the facilities. We were unable to get to the hotel on the booked arrival date because of airline connections not going through. I informed the hotel that we were unable to make it but would be staying the following night (and we paid a much higher rate to do so). They asked us to cancel the original booking before midnight, which is what I did (a $398 USD booking) to avoid a no show charge. But in the end they refused to refund the amount prepaid for the original booking. So we ended up with a bill of $850 for a one night stay (2 rooms) My advice is to avoid staying at this establishment unless you are absolutely sure you will be there. Or don't make the mistake of prepayment as once they have your money they will be inflexible in refunding it, even for situations that are entirely outside of your control.

Very unsafe hotel. One instance someone came to my room at 10 pm without my consent opened the laptop that was in the room, fortunately, the laptop is connected to the phone and we were alerted that someone had indeed opened the laptop that was on the bed we took a screenshot to show them in the event they needed evidence. I also immediately called the hotel to ask who was in my room at that time but they later told me they couldn't hear me. They got back to us 2 days later only to tell us the CCTV showed nothing and we could move to another hotel if we did not feel safe.

Accra's hotel are very expensive in general. Condition and service bad in general also. Not sure why. Best Western is one of the better ones. Rooms specious and ok. Bathrooms need improvement. Mold on tubs, shower heads run down, same with mirror. Hotel offers 3 restaurants of which we prefer the main one with international food. The sole and grouper were excellent. Approximately $20 each. Pool with clear water, small gym, decent breakfast buffet, good service at bar, good airport shuttle service and no noise from nearby airport. Over all: service of staff could be better and please update bathrooms.

Worth every penny. Great service, nice rooms and excellent food. Highly recommended! Close to the airport and with free shuttle. Big rooms and good prices. Excellent value! Check out the in-house African restaurant.

Just checked in and have already made three rounds to the front desk pleading to resolve internet problem. IT personnel on site is good but unfortunately he can't do anything about the slow speed, at least that's what I assume. Still sitting in the reception with a faint hope that internet speed is resolved. Wish me luck as I plan to stay here for 4 days. And good luck to residents who are likely to check in.

I was let down on a trip to Accra and had to find accommodation and was glad to find this Very good staff and facilities The breakfast was plentiful Didnt get chance to try the attached gym or spa The aur con in the room was a godsend

I did not read any reviews before I got here , so on the outside it looks nice. Went through the reception that was ok no problems friendly and got room key. The room is nice and large lots of space. The bed my feet hang out at bottom but not a big issue I guess. Table to work at and place for your bags and so forth. BUT this is where the nice ended, the bathroom is a whole other story. The ceiling has black marks all over it as if it was worked on and well never cleaned. When I stand in the shower it is just above my shoulder I can not shower like a normal shower should be for the record I'm 181cm tall ( 6 foot ) .Ceiling in shower is also just as dirty , the shower head and pipe are able to slide into the wall and out as it's Broken. There is also only one light in the middle of the very dirty ceiling so light not great in bathroom. Breakfast is nothing wow at all and for a 4 star you would expect them to walk around and offer refills of tea or coffe. Well not a single person does that the only contact was at entrance took room number and the lady behind the cooker doing the eggs. Other than that they all stood on the one side looking and talking. It's very sad to see a hotel that has such a rating as 4 stars under perform on such a scale. Over all not very impressed with this hotel and I will look to change my booking for my return in 28 days to another hotel as I have now experienced this here. I hope management does read and take steps to remedy this Thank you.

Simply avoid this hotel... People unfriendly, check in and out taking too long( cb card machine not working as well as printer) 1 guy for 6 customers waiting 25 minutes... No recognition at all even for a diamond bw card No towels in the swimming pool and no staff around really ashamed ...

They offered me at the front dest room with no AC while it was almost 35 to 39 degrees. Then they put me on a room that has water lick all over the room and as soon as it started raining there was water coming from the roof

The hotel is situated conveniently close to the airport and the University of Ghana in a quiet neighborhood. I just completed my 4th stay at the Best Western dating back over the past 6 years. I keep returning due to the location, friendliness of the staff, overall good quality and comfort. The Internet service has improved since my last stay so that service from my room was quite good including with VPN. In past years found a need to go to the lobby on occasion to get decent access. The hotel has a small but functional exercise room. During each stay I've also rented a car and driver through the service located near the hotel reception desk. I've found the service to be good albeit a bit pricy but that seems to be the norm for the short-term visitor/expatriate part of the economy. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of choices with a short order option for eggs, omelets and the like. There similarly is a buffet offered for lunch in addition to the option of ordering from the menu. The evening buffet has apparently been discontinued but one can order from the menu. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. During this trip I didn't try the adjacent restaurant specializing in Ghanaian food but did so on a prior trip and enjoyed the food and service. I'll definitely return to the Best Western during my next visit to Ghana.

Have stayed here before and thought was good. Feels as if service gone up a notch. It's a great location for a few days business if meetings are in airport district and rooms work well. Has good airport shuttle and staff are very friendly and helpful

I stayed at the Best Western Premier in Accra, Ghana (Africa) in April 2012. The staff was extraordinarily courteous and the property was fairly well maintained. As a group of three, I was delighted that the hotel management upgraded my travel party to a suite, which was 3 private bedrooms located within one unit. The common area of the private suite had a large screen TV, kitchenette, with a view of an adjoining property which had chickens/roosters (which will wake you up!) The pool was well-kept and lovely, and the hotel restaurant had more than enough options. We were met with nothing but hospitality and courtesy. I would definitely stay here again!

One of the best locations in Accra for international travelers who want to stay in town for a while. Not so spacious car park but enough security for those that access it. very spacious and exquisite. Conference and syndicate rooms are good for business. The meals are nice especially the occasional waakye provided at breakfast. Will love to visit again.

Stayed over a month way back, Spacious Air Conditioned Rooms, Good Wifi speeds and signal,variety of TV channel selection , good food from Zara Restaurant. Proximity to the city malls, Airport its very convenient....Being a Kenyan this is my ideal location while in Accra ;-). Ahsante Sana.

Stayed here for about a week and enjoyed it. The check in was easy, staff was great...always courteous, professional and helpful. The AC wasn't working well in our room and there was mold in the shower so we were quickly switched to another room which I was quite pleased with. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious!!! There were other restaurants that we didn't get to try, but there are other options in close proximity. The hotel was very close to the airport and they offered an airport shuttle. Unfortunately the pool was drained for maintenance. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again!

Pros: The rooms were clean, the breakfast was awesome! Internet was great! The shower was kinda weird, but good. Cons: pool was closed due to renovation, lunch and dinner was expensive (but you can get food for cheap in this country); and valet Laundry was SUPER expensive - no laundry facility on premises. Would I stay here again? Most likely, yes. My rating: 3.8 stars out of 5.

Booked into the hotel for the first time. Lovely quiet hotel close to the airport (can't hear any planes!). Nice rooms. Efficient staff and 3 restaurants! One is all African food! This makes a change!!! Very impressed so far!!

Close to the airport. Clean rooms,shuttle service and fairly priced. Recommended. No smoking, though all hotels in Ghana are no smoking.About 5km from Accra Shopping Mall. Rather use a taxi or shuttle service. Exchange Burou and massage facilities also available at the hotel.

It is the worst experience at a prime rate and not recommended. I will never go back to any of the branches! Please make sure that you check your laundry when returned it disappears I had 3 instances in the last 12 monts and nothing has been done. The food has made me sick and some of my coworkers. Pricing is very very high. The so called showers are useless and water pressure and some rooms the AC is useless.

I will highly recommend this place to business or leisure traveler. The staff are very pleasant and the environment is very clean. Easy access to down town Accra and beside you're very close to the airport.

Ideal hotel for Transit but terrible checking service. I waited 45 minutes at the service desk for assistance and their excuses was that they was cleaning carpets and didn't have rooms. Instead of proposing an upgrade - I had to propose them that options. They need a major training on customer service. Overall food is good and hotel is clean.

On the plus side the staff were friendly and trying hard. The food in the restaurant was good, although way overpriced. The rest: Started off on the wrong foot when I had to wait at the airport for a very hot and sweaty hour for my transfer to go .7 km to the hotel. Turned out there were about 8 of us altogether waiting for the transfer. They apologised profusely but insisted that I wait for them rather than take one of the many taxis at the airport. On arrival they "upgraded" me to a suite. On arrival the suite smelled as though had not been opened for quite a while. I did not have hot water that night or the next morning. Not a single one of the outlets in the room worked to charge my phone - they were all too loose and the plug simply fell out of the wall. During the night it rained and I could hear dripping onto my ceiling so loud that I could not even mask it with white noise from my phone (though it did not actually leak into my room). There was really nothing pleasant about my "suite". All in all the staff were trying hard, but the facilities were just poor.

They made me wait for 2 hours with out giving me any explanation why!! Then after a lot of begging they asked if we can be relocated. Its been 3 hours and no one is trying to solve the problem. Disappointing !!

I had a good experience, the settings of the room is good and also customer services is also good. Esther and her team was very good towards me and also they gave me the kind of help i needed. its a great experience to be in Best western Premier. i would always love to be here.

Spent a couple of nights here attending a business meeting. The hotel stands in a quiet upper class neighbourhood of Accra, an imposing and modern edifice. PaArking space for cars is limited though. Staff were friendly and professional from reception to all areas. My room was clean and well laid out with clean bedding and a very comfortable bed, though the bathroom had loose fittings and some old stuff (needs some refurbishment). However, I had a lot of difficulty locating my room on the 2nd floor on my first night due to a rather bizzare numbering arrangement. Had to ask for help from reception to locate it finally. I enjoyed all my meals at the 2 restaurants I visited during my stay. A good mix of local Ghanaian and continental dishes. In all I enjoyed my short stay though the price range for a standard room per night is too high for a hotel of this standard.

It is the best indeed... after its name. It is value for money. Shuttle service to the airport was great and the meals were awesome. They have a selection of African cuisine an other influences for the discerning foodie and explorer who is not fazed by variety.

Five years ago this was an average hotel, now without improvements, it's pretty poor. Airconditioning in rooms is weak and takes a number of hours to cool the room down to a level suitable for sleeping in. Showers are tiny if you are an above average size build you will struggle with the tiny cubicles. Water pressure is hit and miss as well. The place is not cheap and is an embarrassment to the Best Western chain.

I stayed in this hotel several times - breakfast is better than the evening meals. Wine selection is not that great. Service is friendly but does lack professionalism. I stayed on one occasion with my wife and she enjoyed the spa facilities. Hot water is not always available.

Having stayed in a number of luxury type hotels in Accra close to the airport I wanted something different. Having spent the previous night in the Best Western Takoradi hotel with good experience I wanted to continue that for my overnight stay in Accra. The hotel is with a 5min drive from the airport and they provide a 24hr shuttle service that departs on the hour every hour. You would do well to book ahead for the shuttle if you are leaving in the early hours of the morning or arriving late at night. With friendly staff greeting you on arrival and comfortable and clean rooms at your disposal this hotel met my expectations for my business travel lodging needs.

I typically don't frequent this chain, but I generally associate it with being a budget friendly option. The hotel was booked by a travel agent and I was not sure of what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised and found it to be a hotel of high caliber. I have no negative comments to make about this place. The staff was cordial and accommodated in whatever way possible. The rooms were nicely appointed and the on-site restaurant provided a variety of meal choices.

We went to this hotel to have dinner. The ambiance was great. We were received well and we felt very welcome. We had some drinks while waiting for our food. Well honestly the food took awhile but it was nice. Had fun with my friend.

I have stayed multiple times at the Best Western Premier. Perfectly located close to the airport, it is my go to place when I am in Accra. A big thank you to all the hotel staff for always making my stay an enjoyable one.

Terrible. Rita M. at the front desk is a rude, impolite and untruthful. We are regular guests at this hotel, we visit every 2 weeks here for a weekend break as well as bring our foreign guests and she gives us an issue every time we arrive. Today, she LIED to us stating that the hotel was completely booked when we requested her to give us a higher floor room with the pool view. She put us on the 2nd floor at the very end of the hallway. We are loyal customers with Best Western Accra and Atlantic, However now we are sick and tired of this nonsensical behavior Rita has been providing us with. We are paying to relax and enjoy our stay however people like Rita annoy us with petty lies and deceit. We would HIGHLY recommend disciplinary action with Rita to avoid guests being treated unfairly. We will continue to patronize Best Western as our weekend getaway hotel. We recommend guests not to interact with Rita M. at the reception to avoid being disappointed.

Stayed here for a few days for business meeting. Front desk quite professional. Room itself was spacious. Bed was comfortable with complimentary morning robe. Nice writing desk with good desk lamp for the business traveller. Bathroom is clean as well with basic toiletories available. Shower though quite poor with the water pressure low at lower temperatures making a trip to the shower quite uncomfortable. Restaurant serves buffet and a la carte options. Chef prepared pasta was actually quite good. Although buffet has quite an array of foods, the local foods were rather disappointing so if you're a local, please stay off the local foods as I got similar responses from other guests at the hotel. All in all, a very good hotel in a very convenient and quiet location

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights after a family visit in Liberia. We wanted a hotel close to the airport. They have a free airport shuttle. This is just like an American hotel. The room was large and very comfortable. Free breakfast. Room service was great. The best feature is the ability to extend checkout to 7pm for $100. Our flight out wasn't until 10:30pm. We stayed in air conditioned comfort and watched the French Open until it was time to leave for the airport. We also bargained and got a driver to take us to the Volta River dam and a boat ride the day before we left. Great way to end a trip.

From cockroaches on the walls of the salon, to broken/unusable material and products... The price list mentioned gel nails however this could not be offered. The beautician tried to use regular nail polish on top of my gel nails, that she could not remove, and we lost an entire afternoon trying to dry layers and layers of nail polish that were smudged and of course didn't look presentable. At the end I had to request for it to be removed. Waxing was even worse, as it was impossible from the start, and yet another was of time. The room was not arranged properly or clean and neat and the products were of an extremely poor quality: the wax too tick, the stripes were pieces of cloth which lost fabric that got attached to the greasy waxed skin, the service took longer than usual and it was not completed. A complaint was made at the front desk. The prices were cheap, could this be the reason of such a terrible service? Why not increase the prices, set up a presentable salon, give proper training to the beautician and serve the customers with at least an average quality material?! I left extremely disappointed and with waxing to be done.

Had a good sleepover at this spot. Spacious clean room. Friendly staff. No noise. Buffet is okay. Bathroom hot water wasn't great. Make sure you are charged in the correct currency, my friend was charged in US instead of Ghana and its a schlep to reverse it.

Horrible stay in this hotel. Lots of noise on the corridors namely during the morning with doors constantly slamming hard and housekeeping talking loud. Air conditioning working badly namely in the rooms and in the breakfast room. Taps and shower water temperature hard to control. Very poor breakfast. Receptionists not able to answer to simple questions like changing the name of the company in the final invoice.

Despite being newer, clean, polite staff and well equipped, this hotel has terrible customer service and I will never stay in it again due to the ignorant general manager failing to resolve multiple concerns, including noisy patrons in the dining room during supper, power blackouts leaving the bathroom in total darkness while in the shower with no back-up emergency lights, WiFi failing every day, television not working, no customer service in the pool area, half the breakfast buffet cold every morning, room fridges that do not work and the list goes on............ Have written Best Western to request an audit of this hotel using their brand. Worst Best Western I have ever stayed at.

we were booked into ten rooms ranging from premium to standard. myself and my husband had to change rooms a total of four times within a five night stay because of problems in each room - bad water pressure, ac not working, room too tiny for what it was supposed to be. the other guests in our party had to change rooms a couple of times as well for reasons like bad water pressure, ac not working, toilet overflooding. the worst aspect of it all was the lack of any kind of apologetic behaviour from the front desk staff. they were otherwise nice but whenever there was an issue, they did very little to show that they actually cared. on several occasions, we were told they would get back to us to resolve one problem or the other and we would never hear from them again. we literally spent out entire stay changing rooms and arguing for better service. all at whopping costs of far far better hotels in the UK. for what we got here, the prices per night are atrocious. they have a lot of work to do mainly on the customer service front to make this place what it could be.

I come here often on business and stay here at least twice a year for two nights. I find that : The staff is very friendly and helpful and understanding. The rooms are neat and clean. The catering is exelant. The included wifi works ever were and is stable and fast. The atmosfeer is realy tranquil. The Bulding is constenly improved and upgraded. I will recommend a stay here at anytime.

I find hotels in Accra to be adequate and expensive or mediocre and relatively expensive. Thank goodness the company was paying. The Best Western Premier is definitely one of the better hotels in Accra. I think comparatively, it offers as good value for money as you are likely to get in Accra. The rooms are relatively spacious and well appointed. The television shows an adequate range of programs and the reception is good. Internet is excellent. There are in room coffee making facilities and everything worked in the bathroom. It is relatively well located - certainly for the airport. The food is adequate and the bar - well, what's not to like about a bar? One area the hotel does excel in is it's staff. From reception to restaurant, they were helpful and friendly. My thanks. I should also mention - when I returned home I noticed that my credit card had been charged twice by mistake. I emailed the hotel. They responded within 12 hours and solved the problem within 24 hours. Again, my thanks.

I spent one night in this hotel & I wasn't disappointed. The room was neat & the staff exhibited a high degree of professionalism & courtesy. I particularly loved their top of the hour shuttle to the airport.

Very espensive staff not so gentle breakfast awfull the service for the hotel not always ready. They refused to send me a driver for pick me to the bus stop even if i paid in advance 450 usd...........

One of the features that attracted us to this hotel is that it has an airport shuttle and is close to the airport. After the chaos of getting through customs and immigration, it was a relief to get on the shuttle and be in the lobby of the hotel within 15 minutes. The most difficult thing was to fend off the 4-5 people who wanted to grab the baggage cart and "help" guide us to the shuttle stand, which is right outside the terminal door. The hotel staff were quick and efficient and quickly got us into our room. The room was nicely furnished and clean. A breakfast buffet is included in the price of the room but it is good to get that confirmed when you check in. We stayed here on our last night in Ghana and had both the breakfast buffet and a late lunch. Service was much slower at lunch but that may have been because we came after lunch and before dinner so there were fewer staff on duty. Airport shuttle again got us to our flight home in plenty of time. We had a late evening flight and they gave us an extended late check-out at no extra charge.

Stayed here upon arriving in Accra (quick cab ride) before heading out to Kumasi the next day. The hotel is clean and quiet, and well appointed. I felt quite safe there as a solo female traveler. The room was a nice size, the beds comfy, and the next day I was able to easily walk to a couple of places I wanted to explore. I had dinner in the restaurant, but wouldn't choose that option again. It was one of the poorer meals I had during my 2.5 weeks in Ghana.

The room was spacious with nice lounge chair. The bathroom had all the little things that make the hotel stay a wonderful experience. Room service was impeccable. Hotel food a bit pricey but tasty all the same.

Hotel is very close to the airport (less than 15 minutes). They have free airport shuttles on the hour. Check in was ok. Rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. Shower was good with good shower power. TV kept acting up, like the satellite signal was being interrupted by bad weather. They have good and free wifi. Breakfast could be improved. The variety is a bit basic and I struggled through most breakfasts to find something I was fully happy with. The Ghanaian (African) restaurant at the premises has AMAZING food, but pathetic service. The service lets them down- slow and non responsive staff. I went for a pedicure at the salon at the hotel- and I would never recommend for anyone to go there for a pedicure. The lady providing service just could not do a basic pedicure. That was a waster of my $10. I think for my meeting, it was adequate.

It was only for one night but the environment was neat and the rooms had a modern look. Some of the services prices were outrageous tho. Like charging 3$ to iron a shirt and also 5 cedis to deliver water. Bu the overall staty was good, will certainly recommend it

Arrived on 23rd Dec after booking 5 weeks earlier. Was told i was going to be transferred to a sister hotel. Waited for over an hour at reception. Later was checked into same hotel and not sister hotel. Its now morning and there is no water and i need to bath. This is terrible

This is my second time of lodging in this hotel, hotel is calm, neat, in the city centre but yet serene, a lot of places can be accessed easily from the hotel, without a lot of stress. It is very close to the airport if you have an early flight to catch and you will always get a complimentary drop off at the airport. Members of staff are quiet friendly as well.

Front office were friendly and the rooms were clean especially, David, guest relation was helpful and in business center they are very nice and patient per my requested especially Smith guy is good. I will be back again, next trip.

The hotel is very conveniently situated close to the airport and close to where I worked. Room are clean, great towels! Large rooms. Food is good, breakfast could be better, but the dinners are good. Font line staff was not really all that friendly, until they realised the company that paid for the hotel was an important client. I do feel the hotel is very expensive compared to bench mark elsewhere in the world. But the hotel is GREAT compared to other local hotels. All in all a good stay, very comfortable.

This hotel is good for business trips to Accra. Conveniently located close to the airport. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The pricing is market related, but I do feel that it is expensive relative to other parts of the world.

Twice I have stayed at this hotel & twice there was a mistake with my pick-up time. Despite having provided full flight number & arrival time. Make sure you have a printed copy of your reservation in hand otherwise they will charge you the walk in rate. A reservation number is not sufficient for some reason.

Spend 2 nights on this hotel on a business trip to Accra, really disappointing. Was checked into room 316 (I think) and the air conditioner didn't work, I reported it to reception 3 times and was told someone would fix it. Reception team not at all interested in actually helping. Nothing was done about it and the first night was awful. Eventually I insisted on moving room, they took me through 2 rooms before we eventually found a room with a working aircon. On the 2nd night I ordered room service @ 18h30, called to follow up at 19h30 only to be asked if I was with “Delta” (assuming an air crew) and was told it would be brought up now. Followed up at 20h00, same response. Gave up, eventually an ice cold meal arrived at 20h45 - 2 & 1/2 hours later. Was told the Delta crew must get their meals first - REALLY ??? Rooms are fine & generally clean Food is awful Good location Better hotels around, much better.

The Hotel is close to Airport. Very Clean with freindly staff. The senior administration staff are very responsive and cooperative. There isn't big variety of food in the open buffet The lights in the bathrooms are very week. The gift shop is poor. You don't find daily newspapers. TV channels are limited .It would be good to have a channel promoting tourism in Ghana

Had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant as a walk-in guest. Was gutted to see my nutella chocolate spread was expired, as afar back as 23.11.16!! Shocking.... and very disappointed. And food was generally awful. Got nothing back from the hotel... I know never to go there again!! Expired is terribly and dangerously negligent!!

No hot water for two days. Poor service. Laundry cost was charged in US dollars although no where on the form stated US$ so we assumed (as you would) it was local currency. Also clothes were returned after 5pm although we needed 'Express Service' (2:30pm) and on check-out we were charged for the very expensive Express Services. No understanding from Staff. We left annoyed at the lack of compromise.

Great food- especially the buffet, clean rooms and communal areas, lovely pool, friendly staff. Shuttle service to the airport which was free and hourly so no hassle or stress! Thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

Woke up at 22h00 to someone in my room calling out "housekeeping". Because the intruder entered the passage that leads to the main bedroom and being in the dark, I could not see her. I called back asking why does the room need to be cleaned at such an hour, to which she responded "we have a backlog" and promptly left, shutting the door behind her. Note that there was no safety latch on my door. Entering someone's room at 22h00 in the evening whilst occupants are asleep is not right. It was unsettling and I felt no longer safe in the room. Moreover it made no sense as to why the room needed to be cleaned at that time of night. The booking was done well-in advance of my arrival, the room was prepared and cleaned when I entered and the hotel registry would reflect that it was occupied. Obviously this left me wondering if there was another motif behind this entry into the room at such hours. I did report it to the duty manager, but nonetheless, I'll not be using this hotel again. There is no excuse for such intrusions. It makes guests feel unsafe and leaves them worrying about their belongings in the room whilst they are out and about.

After a long day on the road, I returned to my room to see my vault open and my money missing. My vault was locked upon leaving so either it malfunctioned or someone use the key to open it. The only people with keys to my room are the staff members, yet no one could give me an answer as to who took my money. They claim to be investigating the matter but now two weeks later and not even a courtesy email with an update. They ruined my experience in Ghana and caused me great anxiety whilst being there. We eventually left the hotel and went to Swiss Spirit Hotel where my experience was 10x better. Best Premier Western needs to vet there Staff members more thoroughly to ensure they offer provide a warm, safe and friendly environment for their guest. As for myself and my Organization we will never use them again on any of our business trips because of this terrible experience.

We have stayed at the Best Western Accra multiple times and have had decent service. We were really disappointed with our last stay. Because previous times we have had challenges with our booking in that the front desk needed to see our expedia confirmation number, we sent our confirmation ahead of time to the front desk so that they would be able to confirm ahead of time making our check in easier. Unfortunatley this seemed to make things more difficult... the front desk was very rude and said that we didn't have a reservation and that we would have to pay again. We explained the situation again and had to resend the confirmation before they would check us in. The front desk staff took photocopies of our passports but in a span of 5 minutes they had lost them and needed to make more copies again. After waiting over 30 minutes while the front desk staff reviewed our email, they finally said that it was okay. We received our room key and went upstairs. When we entered the room we were struck by the strong odor coming from the closed bathroom door. It appears that someone had used the bathroom minutes before to defecate. the entire room smelt like feces to the point that we had to leave the room. I was worried there was a sewage leak but when we returned an hour later the smell had dissipated. When arranging for our airport shuttle in the morning the same front desk staff said to us that we would have to take the 5am shuttle, we did not need to be at the airport until 6am and the drive to the airport is only 5 minutes. when we asked if there was any flexibility she said no. We have stayed at this hotel before and the staff are usually quite flexible if there are not other people with flights arriving or leaving. After speaking with her for almost an hour she finally agreed that there were no other customers needing a flight pick up or drop off near that time in the morning and she might be able to have them drive us at 5:40. In the end it worked out, but it was frustrating the amount of time and energy spent trying to work with the front desk staff. We emailed Best Western to let them know our concerns and have received no response at all.

Tired hotel, had broken devices in room and had to be moved once, fellow travellers experienced same. Needs some capital and maintenance done soon. Location is great- if keen you can walk to and from airport. All depends on what you are doing. Not much to do outside the hotel unless you have full days. Food was Ok. Staff are the best asset. All tried hard.

Location is good as well as the internet. I was pleasantly surprised. Menu options average. On the downside, the front desk need to do a bit of work to improve communication. Never seen personnel that behave as if they are doing customers a favour.

Spend a dream night in this beautiful and clean hotel, breakfast is a must. Room and toilet are desgined in such a way everything is convenient. Guest starting from the reception are dedicated to help and provide attention.

Hotel mostly okay. Clean, spacious, Staff helpful, good food. Airport shuttle departs every hour. Generally a nice hotel. Would recommend to colleagues. When using the stairs to the rooms, the washroom area on the ground floor a bit smelly. Please check on this. Otherwise had a pleasant stay.

I'm staying at the Best Western Premier whenever I pass through Accra in Ghana. The personnel are extremely friendly and helpful and the food is great. Rooms are always nice and clean. Bus service to and from the airport is not always on time.

THe Hotel is well loated in town and offers an average service level. It is fine for business travellers who don't really have time to spend in the hotel. They just need a bed and a secure place to stay while in Accra. Access to the Airport is just 10 minutes (with traffic !). All comodities are at less than 15 mns from the hotel.

I have stayed here several times over the last 2 years , and each time I find it slowly slipping . it may be "American standrads' but at 3 times the price. The rooms are getting less fresh, with murky light in bathroom, and unfilled old holes in the wall. Even though the rooms are clean , the rooms could use some fresh coat of paint , and oversight of bathrooms (such as replacing cracked wash basin). The first room allocated stank of cigarette smoke... This time , they had changed the kitchen staff , and the menu and the breakfast buffee was seriously downsized and of lesser variety and standard . There was a lack of fresh fruit and fresh juice:not a good sign to see canned fruit in Ghana in the peak water melon and mango season... A plus for the cheerful cook at the breakfast table,and the new espresso machine providing greatly improved coffee (until the capsules ran out). In summary it is still a viable stay for business or pleasure close to airport , but really , there must be better value around...

This hotel room and accommodations met American hotel standards. Much nicer than many Ghanaian hotels. It was comfortable, had nice AC, and a good shower. There TV had several channels. Transportation from the airport was quick and free. Breakfast (free) had several options, and there were water bottles in the room and available at breakfast.

A good hotel, close enough to Accra airport, in a quiet neighbourhood. Good and helpful staff, very good bed for quality sleep, good set of cosmetics, and very good breakfast. Wifi was good though initially I had some difficulty connecting.

A bit overpriced in international terms for what one gets but competitive in terms of local choices. Room is adequate, food is good and all services offered worked well. A bit isolated from other activities. Appreciated the indulgence of Kofi at check-in desk to allow 2 hour free extension on check-out to 14h00 as airlines departures often take place mostly at night. Free shuttle service to and from airport worked well. Generally, a very good choice for the business traveller, but possibly less appropriate for families / tourist purposes

Check in was great, the inclusive breakfast buffet was quite nice with a great selection of fresh foods. Bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. Only thing that was disappointing was the condition of our bathroom; the lights were dim and the space needed some work.

The internet facility is almost non-existent. When available it is so unstable. In some rooms you just have no internet. Conference room equipment kept breaking down. The dining facility is wonderful and the food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel is a nice place to stay in right from rooms, staff, food and internet connectivity to exterior ambiance. Airport pick up made it easy for me to reach the hotel as well as be at the airport when going back in time. Its proximity to airport makes it an easy reach.

I stayed at the best western on Tuesday 20 June. I enjoyed the art very much. There are only 2 issues with the room. The plumbing in the bathroom always made the bathroom floor full of water after a shower in spite of all precautions taken. Second, not all rooms should have 2 beds. I needed a room with a single double bed!

I had a really pleasant stay. The room was stunning. Spacious and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the airport for anyone on a business trip. Friendly staff. Pool area and gym are an added bonus.

Don't understand this section what am I supposed to say if it has to do with the hotel I would say it's one of the best hotels in Ghana that I have stayed in although the wifi network can be a bit of a challenge.

We had two stays during the one month. The first stay was underwhelming with a long wait for the airport pickup, poor air conditioning in the bar and poor air conditioning in the room resulting in a sleepless night. The second visit a few days later was much better. Great meal in the restaurant and much better air conditioning in the room. Overall impression is that the hotel needs a bit more love and attention.

I was traveling outside the country so I decided to spend the night in Accra instead of my usual stay in Takoradi. It was my first time there and I must say I really liked the room the arrangements furniture was excellent

Stayed for a full week, good standard of all amenities. Lots of helpful and attentive staff. Rooms clean and with standard amenities, ok, wifi held up for most of week although slow at times. Breakfast has a fare range including leftovers from previous nights buffet.

Clean, reasonably well appointed hotel close to airport. Rooms tidy enough with most normal amenities. Staff fairly efficient and helpful particularly with late checkout for international flights, quite accommodating. Breakfast well done and pretty much all you would need. Bar.. well they do need to refrigerate the beer more.. Shuttles left spot on time and overall a good experience, other than power dropping off many times during warm afternoon, but that out of their control.

My experience was pretty much 'standard Western-style hotel', with one particularly good, some notables, and one specifically but unusually bad. The good: I was at breakfast and lunch for about 6 days. There is a great choice of both international and local cuisine, notably at lunch. Now, many may wish only familiar Western-style food and will get it in abundance and quality, but the adventurous will enjoy the many well-cooked local fish dishes in particular, as well as the nut, unusual meat options like offal, and others. Having said this: below-average coffee. On a more regular level, I mostly found staff helpful, especially the conference venue staff who are very responsive, and the concierge. I loved the swimming pool which is good size and seemingly clean with nice change rooms. Rooms are good, although see next. On the low, I was showering and opened the door to have the frame of it collapse and shower me with glass, cutting my hands and feet. On its own, not necessarily a problem, as I hope/doubt it happens often. However, staff tried to give me Deep Heat to treat the cuts, then Gentian Violet as the only alternative: covered in purple while trying to deliver a professional course is insane! No anti-bacterial creams etc. So, need to improve on that sort of level.

I would choose to stay here again if I was travelling through Accra. The appearance and first impression was exceptional. I would recommend this to anyone. The staff was very friendly and helpful to inform us of all the services and amenities they offer.

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect for a hotel in Accra, and in some ways they exceeded my expectations! Staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the restaurant was fantastic. They would get a higher ranking if they would control the "working women" that harass you in the lobby or when you're outside trying to have a smoke. It put a serious black eye on an otherwise beautiful location. I informed my business associates in Accra about this and they will not be recommending the hotel until this situation with the prostitutes has been fixed.

I travel to Accra 8 months of year for work for the last 3 years and have stayed in 5 hotels in Accra but the rooms in Best western are the worse. I have spent a total of 8 weeks and 3 separate rooms living in this hotel in 2017. The staff and food are excellent but the rooms really let this hotel down. Not one room had a proper shower, its one of those hand shower heads you have to hold. And not one room had hot water. My company booked a junior suite but according to the web site and internal TV I was in a premier room instead. Be careful what you book!

The room I lodged was excellent well furnished and serene. The domestic attendance kept the room renewed everyday throughout my 3 nights stay. A view through the window gave me a beautiful sight of the section of Accra west airport residential area. The conference rooms depending on your participants number, proposes itself for a choice of among different sizes (space). The IT attendants respond quickly to emerging needs and situations, thus avoiding loss of time. I enjoyed the varied dishes, ranging from African to European or Western. I could imagine the Asian touch.

Pleased to confirm have noticed a big improvement in the kitchen and the buffet dinner was a real good deal with very helpful staff. Front desk however still struggles! Room had all the amenities however the damp smell and poor drainage in the bathroom a cause for concern. Please clean the windows! Barman was excellent as were the shuttle/porters staff. On line deal was good. Tried to get a day room for a few hours to change clothes and was given same rate for complete overnight lack of concern for returning customer!

When I come to Accra I usually stay at the Alisa or Movenpick. I decided on Best Western for a night as I was too tired to get to my place! I rocked up the counter and decided to book the online rate there and then as it worked out much more cost effective than booking direct. The booking went through but ended up as pending. I waited almost 2 hours downstairs whilst they were trying to ascertain and confirm my booking. The online system is not quick so please book ahead!!!! By the time I got into my room it was already 20 past midnight on the following the day. Only after paying again!!! The room itself was very impressive, bathroom And provisions were up to scratch and the decor and atmosphere were above par. The AC in my room 321 was not chilling at all but this was soon rectified with a fan so I won't complain further there. The complimentary breakfast is up to speed Ashame the wi-fi wasn't! All in all I thought my stay here could have been better but it does tick a few boxes. 50 50 about coming back!! Jase

It was a great experience altogether. The staff right from the door man, to the front desk, the housekeepers and staff at the restaurant were very helpful. No internet issues but the IT technicians were available to assist with login hitches and maintenance was on call as well when needed. Great atmosphere for business and leisure!

I stayed at this hotel for two days in February 2017. The quality was awesome; spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff, free high speed internet. If you're for leisure, the pool might not appeal to you that much since it isn't that big. However, if you're for business, trust me you're going to enjoy every bit of your stay. Overall, my stay was fun.

Very close to the airport and close to my meetings, so the location cannot be better for me. I was quite intimidated by the craziness outside the airport - two men tried to grab my luggage and take me to their cab but I refused and called the hotel. Pickup was arranged very quickly and I was able to get to the hotel safe and sound. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are reasonably priced. The hotel itself is very standard business hotel - I find the room quiet and spacious. Restaurant offers a wide variety of food. Overall I think it's a great hotel for business travel.

Nice quite location not that far from the airport. Large room and bathroom, Friendly staff at reception. Medium size pool and small bar good enough for a drink in the evening ( But a very slow service) not new if you already have been in west africa. In all the hotle is good but over priced EUR 190,00 ( not worth the price)

(At night) Had an issue with the security man who abandoned his security post to go sleep and kept us waiting outside the gate for over 15mins. Aside that, the rooms are nice and clean. Room service is good aswell.

The hotel is close to the airport and located in a quiet neighborhood. The wifi is good also. There is a restaurant to offers buffet meals which are generally good and tasty meals. the fresh fruit juice is also good. I understand there is an african restaurant in the premises though I did not go in there. While the room and service in the hotel is good by west African standards, I think the price is on the high side, while food is also expensive. If you are in Accra on short business stays, this hotel is good for you.

The Management and Staff are certainly making an effort to improve not only their service, but attitude towards their guests. Room was well maintained and comfortable. One area where there is still room to improve is the restaurant, but hopefully this will follow.

A hotel with acceptable standards close to the airport. Decent restaurant and good food selection. Close to the airport and offers free shuttle service to and from hotel. Be prepared to wait a while for for this service.... Wifi is good. The room is acceptable. Spacious, place to work and good TV channel selection. Small Gym available but not great. Pool is nice although not much time to enjoy these amenities..... Business trip. Overall a good stay. Price is fair.

Stayed for one night, it is near to airport and at a good location. Maintenance of Guest Room is poor, looking like a age-old property. Bathroom has stains of Hard Water, all bath fittings too have stains of salty water. visually can see repair patches on floor. overall interior is not worth for the money.

Spent about 2 weeks in the hotel. The food menu was very good. It had a good selection of local and continental food. The rooms were clean and luxurious, tea and coffee facilities, shower, good linen. The service is as you'd expect. The swimming pool is private and clean. Had a great stay, 2014

Have been here several times to meet with business colleagues over some coffee. The staff are polite & friendly with average priced hotel drinks. Chairs and seating area are comfy enough. Be warned, the Internet reception is really bad for most wifi devices, we have to use phones on hotspot. They do provide wifi vouchers for purchase if you prefer.

My normal Holiday Inn booking could not be accommodated so the Best Western was recommended ... Well what a surprise they are really efficient including a request for additional admin , the rooms pretty smart the food excellent , you simply have to try their grouper , I had mine with fried rice .... Wow Holiday Inn you could learn here , the transport is great and the breakfast really good ... What a pleasant encounter

The place is lovely, clean and quiet. It is near the international airport.The service is good the staffs are helpful. Their buffet is satisfying with delicious food and lots of food choices. I hope that the guest can chill out and relax on the pool side late at night but unfortunately they dont allow it after 10PM which is sad.

It Was Indeed A Very Wonderful Experience For My Son and I On Our First Trip To Ghana. Beginning With Airport Shuttle Pick-Up, Very Courteous Attitude Of The Shuttle Driver and The Very Cheerful and Warm Welcoming Disposition Of The Entire Hotel Staff We Met. All Culminating To The Very Wonderful/Pampered Night and The Smooth/Timely Shuttle Drop-off To The Airport For Our Early Morning Flight Out Of Accra.

I only stayed for one night. The hotel is nice looking and the rooms appear clean but a little shabby. The best part of my stay was ordering and eating from the on-site restaurant. I highly recommend the ground nut stew. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel is a nice place to be. They however need to improve on the range of African dishes. They have a beautifully designed swimming pool whose lighting should be improved to encourage evening/night swimming.

l had a great stay at the Best Western Premier Hotel. One of the new exciting places for me was the Zara Restaurant, had an opportunity to try some traditional Ghanaian food. The Manager was always quick to assist with any problems l would face duing my stay. My room was well cleaned and maintained.

We spent three glorious nights in this fabulous hotel during the Valentine's weekend. We also had a family gathering for 50 people organised by the hotel. The suite we stayed in was first class. Extremely spacious, comfortable and very well decorated. We had family staying in a standard room and it was equally high in quality and comfort. The gathering was very well organised, held in a beautifully decorated room with exceptional food, wine and entertainment. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and professional. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners who made sure we had a great event and all our needs catered for. This hotel exceeds all expectations and we would highly recommend it for anyone staying in Accra airport residential area.

This was not a good experience and the rooms (bathrooms were not upto normal standard and had to change rooms three times in the middle of the night) first room was not made up from a previous guest second room had no shower handle and finally just accepted a room with a very small bath but could at least shower. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful in the end but felt that this is not the standard expected from an international hotel.

Our partner company had managed the booking for a business stay at Best Western - due to miscommunication, we were not informed about additional costs of early check in/ late check out, and were billed 100 USD for having stored luggage in our room instead of the storage room for 2 hours before official check in time. Even upon specific inquiries regarding the check-out time, the hotel staff assured that 'any time was possible' and withheld information that additional costs would be incurred for late-check out (100 USD again). This proves inflexibility to accommodate customer needs and includes misguiding clients in order to charge extra costs.

Not Very Good. The Hotel Needs Serious Revamping And Bright Coloured Decor. Dark Decor Gives It A Very Dingy look. Breakfast Buffet needs an improved spread. Best Western Premier , Deira Dubai is Far Superior and was my Reference to have chose this Property in Accra.

Room was comfortable, wifi fine, bar open 24/7, staff were very helpful, breakfast was good and the hotel has hourly shuttles to the airport (just 5 mins away). A good hotel for a quick visit to Accra.

There appears to have been a real effort to improve the experience at the hotel. Staff this time were friendly and helpful. Restaurant is improving, but still has some way to go to meet the quality of other hotels. The big let down is still the rooms, which are in need of some maintenance.

Stayed here for a week and found it to be good overall. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food at the on-site restaurant and a nice bar in the lobby area. The rooms are comfortable, however they could do with a little more maintenance and care. In my room the bathroom could have done with a proper deep clean. The beds are comfortable and linen is clean and fresh??

The conference room and syndicate rooms that were booked for the hotel were good. We were able to work well with staff whenever we needed anything changed or added. The staff were very accommodating and nice to work with. The refreshments were served on time and were great.

Great hotel to choose for conferences. The hotel had all the facilities we needed for our conference. Good WiFi internet, big screen LCD projector and the sound equipment was superb. We did not have to worry about the little details to make our program a success because the staff at Best Western went the extra mile to ensure that every aspect of our event was taken care of. This is a decent hotel that is clean and safe, but the service is quite unreliable. When I arrived, they first put me in a room with no shower or telephone, then moved me to another room, and then tried to move me again due to problems with entering the room into the "system." Ultimately they let me stay in this room, but negotiating to stay and be able to shower and go to sleep after a long flight is pretty much the last thing one wants to do after traveling for 20+ hours. Other surprises included a hotel pickup driver who was eventually found hiding in the dark parking lot upon arrival, a visit from housekeeping at 7am on Saturday, and a reception that may or may not answer the phone. No serious problems, but just go in not expecting attentive service.

The hotel is close to the airport which is useful if you organize a workshop in Accra as we did. Airport transfer is included which is commendable as well. Rooms are nice and have all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of the standard, including a desk to work. Bathroom is ok, but my shower hose had various leaks and water was all over when I tried to shower. I asked for it to be repaired which did not happen during the 5 days I was there. Staff was ok friendly, but reception was quite a mess checking in our workshop participants (several guests were told there was no room for them, some even had to go to another hotel--of course we had sent the booking request ahead of time). Quite embarrassing for the organizers to be honest! Internet works very well! Breakfast is very nice! There are two restaurants on the compound, the African is very nice and less expensive than the main one. Food for the workshop was served as buffet and so-so. The pool area could be quite nice, but seems totally abandoned--why? In general too expensive for what it offers.

Best Western is one of the best hotels in Accra. Nice ambiance, swimming pool and gym. And it is very close to the airport too. Very lovely hotel. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely visit this hotel again.

We arrived on 20th of April around 9pm Rooms were not correct we upgraded and paid 50dollars more per night Yet still we did not have our rooms for more then 2 hours. All rooms shown were faulty. The rooms finally given had a smell but we had no choice and there was no apology at all nothing to even make you feel that they cared

Good food at the hotel. Very much enjoyed it, and the staff working there. The dining had a few days live band playing. The power could cut out up to 3-4 times a day, however the band would still be playing ;)

Clean rooms, hot water and very professional staff. The breakfast options were plentiful -- lots of fruit and veg, not just pastries and coffee. But for other meals food was so-so and way overpriced. Also, the free wi-fi didn't work most of the time in my room -- I had to come down to the lobby, which was a bit of an inconvenience. But overall I was happy with my room and the service.

This was my first visit to Accra and first stay at a Premier property from Best Western. Thankfully it was a short trip. The disappointment started when reception could not locate my reservation. Then I discovered that the shower head was broken when I was ready for a refresher. I did not ask for a different room. The restaurant food was mediocre at best. As I didn't get a chance to leave the hotel between meetings, either the food or facility lead to some unpleasant bathroom visits later the next day. Quite unusual for my iron plumbing which rarely goes Vesuvius across my extensuve African and world travels. Even a quick respite to the lobby bar on two occasions was shortened by a dizzying overhead light on the flashing fritz. However, the WiFi was excellent. If it weren't for the outrageous room rate, I'd have some sympathy for the ample staff and give this place a 2 instead of 1.

i enjoyed my overall sty at this hotel. very close to the airport in a serene area. i enjoyed every it of my stay, from courteous staff to great food. they have a little gym but was surprised at the variety of equipment available. the rates were much better than other four star hotels in Accra with the kind of cozy rooms they offer.

I would say this would be fairly typical for an airport hotel. It was busy and the service was average overall. We checked into our room and it was extremely hot and requested multiple times to have someone check it out with no response. We were ready to go to sleep later and they then said they had to move our room. After we had this figured out, our room was good, nice bathroom and quiet. We did end up meeting a few employees that were very nice and helpful, but again overall experience was typical for an airport hotel being about average with everything.

Excellent and friendly overall experience. The staff were very helpful. Airport shuttle was made available both ways. This provided a lot of safety comfort for me as a first time traveler to Accra. I recently stayed at the Best Western and was pleasantly surprised by three important aspects of any hotel; the hospitality, the cleanliness and food. The staff was most welcoming, polite and efficient . The room was clean and well maintained except for one light bulb that did not work. I had one really lousy meal, the chicken thighs, but other than that the food was edible with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables available at the buffet. Would I go back to the Best Western? Absolutely.

Another business trip and I must say pleasantly surprised by improvements at this hotel . Wifi much less problematic , and bathroom this time much less of an issue. Replacing bath tub with impossible door with shower cubicle was a good move (although the shower cubicle eventually overflowed due to poor drain) .

The first time I've stayed in this hotel and I found it very disappointing. The shower had no hot water, the shower door did not seal properly resulting in water all over the floor, and not all bathroom lights were working. Two of the nights I found no towels or soap in my room, and had to call house keeping twice, with no luck, only after I went down to reception was it resolved. Wifi signal is poor, and keeps disconnecting

I visit Accra several times a year on business and it is a great city and wonderful people.I usually stay at the Holiday Inn but somehow landed up at the Best Western. I started of in a room on the first floor. No hot water and the weirdest bathroom setup ever. Was kindly moved to new room - "upgraded". Great, hot water but A/C not working. Called, went personally to reception no result. After 4 days still no A/C. Ordered room service. Order delivered after I had to call to remind them about my order after an hour. Food cold, no salt on tray. Complained and an hour later someone deemed it fit to pick up my tray to "re-heat' it. The toilet was breaking away from the wall and would not flush properly. 1 out of 3 lights in the bathroom was working. This may be an energy saving activity as the 1st room I was in had the same problem. The wifi is spotty at best. Find me at the Holiday Inn next month.

My team and I visited best western are recently, and we were impressed with the staff at the front desk, check in was swift. Enjoyed their breakfast with loads of variety and a local dish was also on the buffet. Will definitely visit this hotel again.

Stayed on a business trip in December. Still the same old poor service and unfriendly staff. Restaurant is picking up, but needs some real management changes to make a difference it seems. Rooms are always look as if they need an upgrade or need of repair, especially the bathrooms. It would help if they sealed off the baths correctly and stopped water flowing all over the floors.

This is a very average hotel. (For Americans, think "roadside motel" quality that needs A LOT of renovation and updates.) For local people, the hotel has quite a bit of prestige, so be prepared to pay higher prices for services if people find out you are staying there. Worst example: I asked the hotel to call a taxi for me to go 2.5 hours to Elmina. I had researched the price in advance and expected up to 250 cedi. After about 45 minutes, a driver showed up and quoted me $40 US plus fuel. I thought this was reasonable as it was in line with 250 cedi. Upon arrival in Elmina -- and after a 100 cedi stop at the gas station -- the driver said he quoted me ONE HUNDRED FORTY US DOLLARS. I misunderstood him at the hotel, which is understandable since $40 plus fuel was in line with my expectation and $140 plus fuel is absurd. When I asked the driver how this could happen, he said that he was a "private car" hired by the Premier Best Western. He was not a taxi at all - even though I asked the hotel for a taxi! His assumption was that as a guest of the Premier Best Western, of course I could afford to pay 3x the fair price. I blame the hotel for this. Other than getting ripped off by this driver, the front desk receptionists were very nice and the airport pickup was seamless.

When i arrived, I had a very warm welcome. Rooms are very nice, and the hotel is doing a lot of effort to raise there standards. They are doing a lot of investments to please the customer... The swimming pool is not that big, but very nice, quite en peacefull

An ok hotel, but for the poor sevice delivery if you have issues in your room. @ $ 220 a night, I expect service and certain things in a room. After speaking to the front desk 5 times, they still didnt fix key issues in room, NO Internet, Safe not working, Etc. . On the 6th time to the desk and manager, I front the desk and hear another gentlemen also not happy with no service.

Stayed at the hotel for three nights. My experience was that the hotel is very average. The only thing that stuck out was the service was below average. Wifi didn't work during my stay. My room was large but rather worn.

Suite rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable. My qualms here are that there is no stand up shower, its a jacuzzi and if you want to have a traditional shower, you have to hold the shower head which is sort of a bother! Buffet Restaurant-food quite basic, limited choices and if you had the buffet on 2 consecutive nights, you would be able to more or less predict the food. We had noodles that were there for the 2 nights that tasted suspiciously similar to instant noodles. Ala carte menu: I got sick after having the pizza I don't know whether it was bad cheese. This hotel really needs to up its game on the food department, its really sad how the food is below standards.

The staff is very hard working, professional and friendly. The food at the restaurant is very good , but a little pricy. Very convenient access to the airport and the capital City of Accra. Clean rooms and overall reception area.

I am extremely disappointed at how I was treated at the restaurant, long service customers are to be given preferential services especially when it is at no cost to the hotel. The reaction of the kitchen and front desk officer on the morning of the 27th while checking out was totally distasteful, Internet connection was extremely erratic. Although ambience, fittings and other amenities were perfect. However, it's the small things that matter the most in hospitality. I didn't enjoy my last moments in the hotel

stayed here while on business, decent hotel, staff were very friendly and the hotel is clean and tidy. the rooms could do with a slight upgrade in certain areas but overall good hotel. food here is very nice but room service took about 1 hour to come which by the time it came inwas nearly sleeping

What a mixed experience. Staff throughout we're really friendly when in action. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is ok but dinner leaves something to be desired. WiFi quality is very poor. Small things need to be improved - laundry one day late, always had to ask to have room cleaned and then ask for shampoo, spent one day with a nightclub light only in bathroom and so on. Good business centre - well good internet access. Work on the little things and it will be much better.

A good quality place near the airport. When I was staying there, the Nation Soccer team as there. That gives a idea of the rank of the hotel in Accra. In details it has its weaknesses. Empty batteries in the remote, nobody to fix it. Bad light in the bathroom. A shop in the lobby which mainly answers "We just ran out of it" (battery and airtime)

Clean/Fantastic breakfast included. The shuttle is totally unreliable. Arrived at 8:30 p.m. and was finally picked up at 10:50 p.m.. I had called hotel 3 times and another chap who was also waiting had called 2 times. They were always "on their way". Hey! They are only 5 minutes from the airport! Hotel is good but arriving from International flight at 8:30 and waiting that long is unacceptable! Honesty does matter!

This is the 3rd trip this year stay at Best Western Premier Accra airport Hotel , a very convenient and what you expect from a Best Western . Well, there are some room to improve , especially for the brand of a Best Western and for a business hotel of this price category . - The internet (wireless) is throughout appalling , and during this years stay , I have only been able to connect to lobby WiFi (different ) or through the cable in the room. - The bathroom light is more like a nightclub: whereas that can be good some days , I prefer to face the truth in the bathroom before other do On my last stay there were also some concerns on the room cleaning , but generally it has been ok.

Syated 4 nights while on business in Accra. Location relative to airport is great - and hourly shuttle service. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast efficient, and buffet in the evening very good. I had a excellent sized room and massive bed on first floor. Aircon working very well. But Wifi seemed very poor - fortunately there was a ethernet connection, and I had a simple travel router so no problem with internet access. The bathroom was very sub-standard (no shower curtain, one light not working, floor badly marked, bath overflow detached... needs improving!).

Very convenient hotel located close to the airport with great internet and modern, clean rooms. Many companies/UN/NGO's are now based in this area so its a great place to book for not getting stuck in Accra traffic, which can be a nightmare.

Stayed one night in September. The breakfast was an improvement on past experiences, but services is still slow to no show. However the rooms are still in need of repair, broken mirror and loose fittings in the bathrooms. Staff are do not make one feel welcome as other hotels in Accra.

The hotel is well located, close to airport, clean rooms, good breakfast buffet every day. Receptionists helpful, all staff friendly. Service in restaurant had slipped slightly since last stay, but still good. A short walk away from Azmeera restaurant which does excellent Ghanaian cuisine.

Best Western Premier is certainly the best place to stay. Good location from the airport. Wonderful staff and really good services. Will always stay here whenever am in accra. Love the view, the restaurant and most credit goes to the staff

Proximity to Accra's airport and business sectors was a useful plus.Service was solid, with the folk in the restaurant making special effort. TV channels were sometimes fuzzy, internet was fine after some initial poor signal which was quickly attended to. Nice areas to sit and work outside and a ueful fitness centre

This hotel is ok. Not impressed with the policy. I had booked and paid for a room 2 months before arriving there was no problems here. As the aircraft arrived at 6.30 am in the morning I arrived at the hotel to book in no problems. They said the room would be ready at 12.00 noon. As I had been up all night and wanted to have the room the cost was $83 U.S.. I paid the money so I could have a sleep the room was already made up I fell that this is a rip off. Also the hotel staff that clean the rooms start knocking on your door at 8 am to clean the rooms. I have stayed at a lot of hotels they usually start cleaning at around 10 am. For the price at this hotel the maintance could be better. The shower had a roller missing on the door making it hard to close. The room safe was faulty they said that they would replace it nothing happened in 5 days.

This has been my 6th time of staying in this hotel and I am always in love with the friendly atmosphere. The staff are so professional and helpful and on most of my visits loved the infectious smiles of Richard( too bad I forgot the surname). The meals are so delicious, the rooms impeccably clean. I have been there with my kids on some of my stays and we felt really comfortable so much so that they barely noticed they were away from home. The hotel is also close to key areas such as Ghanas main airport, the Accra Shopping mall among others I recommend this place to all travellers

It was very wonderful back in Best Western Premier. Being the second time, I can tell you that there is an astronomical improvement from my first time as guest. The serene atmosphere, excellent staff wonderfully attending to every needs of guests with swift and promptness. Meals are very good and suitable for both foreigners and Ghanaians. It is gratifying to remember bed time when you fully relax getting refresh by the morning. if you have found this review for the first 'innocent' time try Best Western Premier and you will tell your own story.
