There was no television or internet and the entire hotel was over run with adolescence boys for a baseball tournament running up and down the halls late and made the pool/hot tub unbearable. We were directly across from the pool in a pet friendly room so any sudden noise and our dog would bark which went on all night and with out tv we had no background noise. Really sucked.
Very clean, quiet, large rooms…. Keurig coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, comfortable beds, excellent on- site breakfast….. highly recommend! Very close to freeway, stores….. highly recommend………………………………………………………………..
My wife had some minor surgery on Friday afternoon and we decided to stay in Lacey to allow her to recover one night before driving home. The Lacey Inn and Suites by Best Western Plus proved to be quite a pleasant evening. It is a very quiet hotel. There are food options within walking distance of the hotel. There is even a casino close by, though we did not avail ourselves of that option. The next mornings breakfast was substantial and rather tasty! They even allowed us an extra hour before checking out as we were moving a bit slowly the next morning. Thank you Lacey Inn and Suites by Best Western Plus!
The front desk were welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. The GM was visible each morning in the breakfast area - cleaning, restocking, and checking in with folks to make sure everything was going well during our stay. There was a grab-and-go option for breakfast each day - burritos or sandwiches. VERY helpful if you didn't want to sit in the crowded room. The hotel is in a rather crowded area and shares a parking lot with a casino and two fast food joints. Despite that and the fact that it was right off the freeway, there was little outside noise to be heard. The only negative was the cleaning staff skipped my room 2 of the 3 days of my stay. A little disappointing, but everything else was exactly why I prefer staying at Best Western.
The manager at this hotel treated us very poorly and was completely unable to assist us with our needs in managing or adjusting our reservations. With sick family members they were unwilling to help us when we had to change our reservations even though we had already paid for and stayed for 3 nights, they were completely unwilling to help when we needed one day refunded so we could pay for sick family to stay elsewhere for a night. I think its terribly greedy when you have a sold out hotel to be unwilling to assist families in need when small changes need to be made to accommodate sick senior citizens. If I was on vacation and just having fun or made bad plans that's one thing, but when family is traveling from out of the country and needs small accommodations made I think the right thing to do is be understanding and flexible and helpful, which this hotel was not, and I will NOT be recommending it to anyone.
This hotel has it all. Our room was clean and the bed comfy. The bathroom was well stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash of good quality. We had a small refrigerator and microwave in our room as well as a sofa and coffee table in addition to the desk and chair. The staff were very friendly and helpful and available 24/7. The breakfast was amazing. It was a full breakfast with plenty of hot food selections, fresh fruits, yogurt, bakery items and lots of coffee and tea choices. The coffee is available 24/7 in addition to the keurig in the room. The indoor pool was very nice and the grandkids really enjoyed it. The staff put out fresh baked cookies every afternoon. We found there to be plenty of parking. There is also a fitness room and business room available to guests. The hotel is located very close to Olympia and within walking distance to food and shopping. We stayed and weak and were very comfortable the entire time.
Comfortable, clean quiet hotel conveniently located near interstate. Would stay here again. Good value for price.
Pleasent stay, great staff, very clean facility. Breakfast was wonderful. I would highly recommend this property.
Staying here, like most best westerns, I had the best sleep in my cozy quiet room. The pool area was very quiet and relaxing, the hot tub was so tranquil and the bed was like sleeping in the clouds. For being in a area near a high way and some busy businesses, it was very quiet, very calm and so relaxing! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful
This is a good hotel. The breakfast is still quite good. It is clean and convenient. The hot tub is very good, while the pool could be a little warmer. The beds are not the best. They appear to be a standard mattress with some extra blankets on them. We found the firmness was at the "HARD" level and as a result there was no compliance or give to the mattress. This adversely affected our quality of sleep since I recently had surgery, and my wife has a problem with her knee for which she is awaiting surgery, As a result, it was difficult to have a good restful sleep for us. At home we have a Douglas Memory Foam Mattress that provides us with excellent sleep. It is hard to believe that any hotel uses "cheap" standard mattresses anymore. When hotel prices are up so high, they should be using memory foam mattresses to provide better restful sleep. Be that as it may, we have stayed almost every year in this hotel since it first opened, And all these years later it is still a well maintained hotel which is also very clean. We stay with a group that gets a good rate, and plan to return again next year! The hotel is very close to many stores and restaurants... and in fact, guests of the hotel get 25% off their food bill at the Fortune Casino right next door. :)
Watch for charges days after yove checked out. 400 bucks for 3 nights then charge me 30 dollars 2 days later without contact notice of explanation until I confront them with it. Absolutely defensive position not interested in what have to say on the subject
Very clean, good breakfast. Definitely one of the few good places left in that area. I do recommend 10/10. Please note that there was no homeless in this immediate area, there is dining within walking distance.
I had a truck breakdown and needed a place. It was close, right off the freeway, and had easy access. Check in was easy and simple, basic hygiene were available. Room was clean and nice. Variety of fast food around, I ate at recommended casino restaurant, good food there with minimal wait time.
This hotel is located next a Costco and many other drive thru's to chose from. The free breakfast was great and the lady working in there was so accommodating especially to the elderly. They have keurig coffee makers in the room!
Great property conveniently located just off the interstate! Oversized rooms, comfortable beds & well stocked beverage area in rooms. Fastest check in I've ever experienced with professional & pleasant staff!
Every hotel has pros and cons. The pros are the friendly staff and the breakfast. The cons are that the hotel generally feels tired. The walls are thin (the bed shook when kids were running over head) , the couch was so worn I did not want to sit in it. We had a group of bikers that either came or went in the middle of the night that woke us up which is obviously out of their control. This feels like a highway travelers hotel, if you are a light sleeper probably not the hotel for you. The blackout shades were pushed so far back we did not see them consequently we woke earlier than desired and did not get a good nights sleep. We will chose a different location next time we are in the area.
Great place to stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were a little hard though. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub are in doors but could be warmer. Breakfast had several great options, including fruit! Plenty of seating. The hotel is located right in the middle of lots of stuff. Hotel location, combined with great Breakfast and good pricing from third party site made this a stay excellent. Recommend for sure.
Hotel very clean with good amenities. Made use of laundry room on our road trip, Room had fridge and microwave and was big and spotless. Very good value, Would definitely stay there again if in area .
Very clean and comfortable hotel and conveniently located. Would recommend to anyone that this is a very comfortable place to stay. And we would without question stay here again. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Stayed at other Best Western locations and was impressed with this one. Clean. Room had TWO sinks. Quiet. The breakfast had many options and was good food. It was quiet even though it's next to a freeway. Well built.
The room was a pet friendly room on the first floor, which was fine. But several of the floor tiles were all warped. And there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. I have stayed in this hotel at least several times in the last couple of years but never on the first floor. The room needs repair/update.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They quickly responded to any request or inquiry we made. They worked very hard to resolve an issue caused by Expedia.
Overpriced for the quality of the room and the hotel very out dated I would not waste money going here again maybe it was just the location but still don't waste your money or time coming here! The breakfast was okay
My friend and I stayed at this hotel when we were travleing through on our way to Sequim. My friend uses a walker and we ran into issues on our trip with other hotels not having what we needed to make her comfortable. This hotel was wonderful! Everything from the check in to breakfast and check out was exceptional.
Professional staff, clean rooms, superior amenities, the fitness center was very clean and the exercise equipment was in excellent working condition and appropriately maintained. The swimming pool was also very clean and the water was at a comfortable temperature, not too cold or too warm it as Goldie Locks would say “it was just right! The room was clean and free of any odors that would cause a person to “think twice” the linens were bright white and crisp. The internet is good even when the Hotel is near capacity. The breakfast is great; well stocked with a variety of foods to accommodate most any dietary preferences. I have been pleasantly impressed by this particular location. Well done. BTW this is the first time I have ever given a review, I usually don't want to be bothered by this stuff… however I am very happy to do so this one time
My husband was bringing me home from a hospital that was 200 miles from where we live. I had fractured my hip and moving was excruciatingly painful. The lovely young woman at the desk observed my use of a walker, and without any prompting she offered us an accessible room near the lobby door. If only more people were so observant and kind, we would all be living in a better place. Can't say thank you enough.
This is a long overdue review that should have been posted several years ago. I have stayed at this hotel once a month for 5 years. once a weekend and for a week once a year. You might say I was a regular at this property. They always had a room for us no matter what events were happening in the area. During my 5 years of staying here I was a member of the Washington State Guard and drilled at Camp Murray once a month and one week a year. Knowing that, on drill weekends they always had breakfast available for military personnel earlier than normal and went above and beyond not just for the troops that stayed but I have personally witnessed the kindness and compassion they show all their guest. One case comes to mind, a mother and two children were traveling from Alaska to Southern California and experienced a breakdown The hotel inadvertently overbooked and they were stuck without a room. The hotel contacted another property of theirs made and covered transportation and gave the mother and her kids a free stay for the inconvenience and made sure that there car was safe in their parking lot till repairs could be made. Another instance was that because I require a service animal there was never any questions from the hotel. All they asked was if it was a service animal. They always had a treat for my service K9 when ever I came in and they were always happy to accommodate me and my K9. Late at night they even allowed us to play catch and fetch in the lobby knowing that the K9 needed to exercise. This Hotel is outstanding for their breakfasts and customer service. I retired from the State Guard several years ago and have not stayed since but if ever in need of lodging if in the area, be sure I will be staying at this property.
I arrived here without a reservation while traveling on business due to car trouble. Maria at the front desk was super super helpful. She got me a really great rate. The room was nice roomy and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. A really nice property. Breakfast was pretty good for a free breakfast. Lots of selection. Nice staff.
In times past we have stayed at this hotel, but never in the double King Bed Room. Well, this room exceeded our expectations. The features of the room were more than what we expected. The beds in terms of sleep quality, resulted in a great night's sleep. If you are travelling with another couple or a nother small family, this would be the best room option for you. As always the hotel staff was very kind and helpful. As well, the complementary breakfast was as what we experienced earlier. Love their version of "biscuits and gravy".
Can honestly say that I found the bed and pillows to be the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel. Would have liked to “borrow” at least one of the pillows! A stain on the carpet was a bit off-putting. All employees were great to work with.
If you want a good nights sleep this is not the place. The beds were so hard my daughter slept on the floor on a blanket and said that was more considerable. The heater was also broken and went off and all night every few minutes. Nobody slept. On the good side the breakfast was really good and the rooms themselves were nice.
The staff was very friendly, even the guest I encountered were so very nice. The breakfast was great. I had eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, Oatmeal & coffee. They had other items like donuts, muffins, cereal, biscuits & gravy. So worth the price
Hotel is kept very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of options and the area was kept clean throughout the morning. Could not hear freeway traffic which was surprising considering how close this hotel is.
I travel often. Best Western has been my go to for quality and cleanliness no matter which state I am in for over 40 years. I am never disappointed by the professionalism of the staff and am always appreciative of the warm welcome. Regardless of where I may be, Best Western is a beacon in the distance beckoning me in to relax, unwind and prepare for the next adventure.
Good location, just off I-5. Far enough away that the freeway noise wasn't a problem. Staff was helpful, clean and friendly - and careful to stay out of my space. Rooms are decent and very clean. Breakfast bar was very well stocked - the exception being lack of vegetables. Have no qualms with staying there again.
This hotel has exceptional staff who are very nice, most know and remember my partners, my kids name along with mine. They make you feel more then just another guest. The ask how my kids are and how we've all been. I never regret staying here.
This hotel is well run, clean, and has trained their staff well. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. The level of pride that everyone we interacted with took in their work - showed. The Breakfast was perfect. Kitchen staff so helpful and came by every table "Good morning. How is everything?" We get in the elevator and a lady is polishing the walls! We walked in at 5:00 and the front desk said OH we just ran out of cookies - let us get some more for you. For the price, this will be our go-to place anytime we are in town. Thank you!
The room had some faults, the ac unit worked only part time , I reported it, no one ever came to our room to look at it, the tv would go from low to medium to loud volume on its own, 1 day the room was not cleaned, we went to desk and got clean towels. not a good experience.
We slept two nights here. The first night we kept hearing the ding dong announcing the elevator arriving. The neighbors doors kept slamming closed, hot rods on the street were roaring and every seven or so minutes the battery on the smoke alarm kept clinking. Second night we bought and wore earplugs which helped a little bit. Breakfast is absolutely awful! It might have been nice if they had real food but everything appears to have been manufactured by a robot (I mean square chunks of egg? Weird!). They can't pay me to come back.
We completely enjoyed everything and everyone while here! The breakfast was great! Fresh cooked food and a delicious variety. The hot tub was soothing and the pool was refreshing, Our suite was big enough to be in the ling room area and feel like it. I wish there was a kitchenette. That's the ONLY downfall. Everything you need is in a short distance. We will definately be back.
We stayed here for my wedding. We reserved most of the hotel and had a great experience. The breakfast is the best continental I've had at a hotel. Kids loved the pool- small but perfect for them. Our room, the lobby and the breakfast area were very clean.
The Lacey, WA Best Western Plus was a great place to stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Carla and Maria. Very close to many things to do. Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean, as was the hot tub/pool area.
This best western was very clean and the rooms were perfect for an over night stay. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast had some healthy options. I don't normally write reviews but I was really happy with our stay so I would recommend it.
I chose this hotel because of the good online reviews even though it was a little further drive than others, but I still had low expectations given the more budget nature of the brand. This honestly exceeded my expectations and was one of the best hotel stays I've had over much fancier hotels. I never write reviews but feel I need to here. I stayed in a king suite and it was well worth the extra few dollars for the space. The service was excellent! The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. She accommodated my request for a quiet room and express checkout (after I'd changed my mind), was always available, and very calm and courteous with another guest who was agitated that the pool had to be closed temporarily for cleaning. The cleaning staff did an amazing job on my room, even folding my pajamas! The room was as spotless each day as it was on arrival which was really relaxing to come back to every evening after a long day. One of the best included breakfasts I've had too—nice variety of hot and cold options, fresh and tasty, well-stocked, and clean, Everything was comfortable and worked well—no stains or signs of being worn out (tv with cable, air conditioning unit, water pressure with curved shower curtain, solid mattress and couch, fridge and microwave, ice machine). And for the first time ever, I did not have to use my earplugs or eye mask at a hotel because the room was nice and quiet and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. At first I thought the quiet was due to not having many guests, but the parking lot was almost full my last night and I still heard nothing but one hallway conversation. I'm not sure if the rooms are just more soundproof or the hotel keeps guests from being loud, but keep up the good work at Best Western Plus at Lacey! Because of this experience I will seek out Best Western Plus again in future, and definitely return to this location and recommend to others next time I'm in the area (I have family a few hours away).
Everything is perfect from the time you check in to the time you go down and have breakfast till the time you check out great experience every stay your staff is excellent the grounds are clean plenty of truck parking
A perfect location for a rest off of the I5. The beds were very comfortable; although the pillows were to big for my neck. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Fitness equipment needed more service
We were very happy to have a nice comfortable place to rest and sleep while visiting family. The breakfast was very nice and the WiFi was acceptable. It was very close to shopping, including Costco. It was also close to a very nice Mexican restaurant.
The room did have clean sheets but it wasn't vacuumed. The lotion was half used. It was clear the room had not been attended to properly. I wanted to take a biscuit and oatmeal up to my room and the breakfast room attendant went and told the front desk person and they came and told me I couldn't. I felt policed and the room was not reasonable. It was 174.00. I would never stay at a Best Western again.
My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay in May 2022. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and well attended and stocked. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay.
Super clean rooms and everything in working order. Friendly and caring team. Great amenities in the surrounding area. Restaurants, small casino, and easy access to many natural wonders. Would book again in a heartbeat.
Aa this was the tenth time we used the hotel conference room, all was good this time as it has been every year. We put on a public display with members traveling from all over the PNW to attend. The hotel has given us a great room rate and a great conference room price. We have checked other venues in the area but the Best Western Lacey Inn and Suites is where we return. The rooms are clean. The continental breakfast is good with a great selection. The staff is top notch and on the ball. The grounds show pride of ownership and the owner is there frequently and can often be seen picking up around the grounds. Hope to be there again next year!
This hotel charges a $30 pet fee per night. This fee is not advertised online and I booked directly through the best western website. The fee would've been ok if the room we had been given was similar to the one advertised in the photos online and not the worst room in the building. The room has laminate flooring that was not properly clean. The photos show carpet. The laminate flooring made things difficult as the beds were on wheels and literally tried to roll away when you sat on them. The room photos also show a love seat which was not in the room at all. This was a feature we had expected to have because of the photos. Having additional seating makes things easier when traveling with children. The pet room location we were given was directly by the elevator and vending as well as being closest to the lobby which made it very noisy. The noise of the desk clerk working, the elevator dinging, and the change from the vending machine combined with tiny, overly hard beds made it hard to sleep. I asked the front desk clerk moments after checking in if there was any way to change rooms because I knew this location would be a problem and was told no, absolutely no way. Some transparency regarding pet rooms would be appreciated. The bait and switch game gets old quickly! The other issues we experienced were stained bath towels, no pool towels, a pool that looked unclean with very cold water, and a remarkably tiny microwave almost on the floor it's so low to the ground. Overall, I would not recommend this location if traveling with pets or kids. The one positive was breakfast. The fresh fruit and muffins were very good.
Refrigerator didn't work, mirrors cracked, no pool towels, bed very hard, breakfast fruit way past ripe, no front desk staff took 10min to find someone, took away water and cookies in lobby, homeless people in parking lot breaking into cars, carpet in hallway muddy, elevator slow and fuof house keeping carts, half lights in hallway out. Stayed here many times but they have left it go down hill. Not the hotel you expect for the money. Heading to motel status but with hotel prices.
I use to like this place but it has changed. I had stayed here previously several times, but will find a different place to stay when I am in the area. I am looking forward to the new Tacoma BW it is not as close, but I think it will be better. So sad this hotel has changed.
All staff work hard to be caring and courteous. Great rooms with a touch of class that puts them above most others. Breakfast beats out most restaurants! Front desk makes you feel like you are home. I stay here often because sometimes it is cheaper to stay closer to work than to drive back out to the country every day.
We stayed in Lacey due to a family funeral. Price, location, and amenities of this Best Western was perfect. Lovely breakfast with an awesome Pancake Machine. Family is still talking about how cool it was.
Great service. Will be staying again soon. The continental breakfast was amazing. Thank you to the staff for the hard work! Bed was a little firm, but that is compared to my bed at home which feels like a cloud. Overall, would recommend.
I stayed at your hotel last week and was absolutely delighted AND horrified by my stay. The day front desk person (petite female islander) was terrible. Short, rude, snappy. The evening front desk (Caucasian female redhead) was polite and personable. She gave me a great recommendation on where to eat, some neat places to see, and was always cheerful. One definitely deserves a promotion!
This hotel is very handy being right off I-5. It has an awesome staff, good amenities with pool and hot tub, good hot breakfast. The property is well lit and safe. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are modern with good beds, work desks, good showers. I will stay here anytime I travel in the area for business or pleasure. I highly recommend it.
It was SO nice to stay at a hotel that actually offers a real breakfast, especially at a time when other brands use current conditions as a way to skip on offering a decent breakfast. But this location had multiple selections. The fitness center was super good too!
The staff was super friendly, lobby and hallways were all well maintained. I stayed with my dog and cats in a pet friendly single queen suite. It was a very nice sized room with a couch. My animals had plenty of room to stretch their legs while I enjoyed the free wifi and coffee. It was a great and relaxing experience that I will be back for.
Came for business, stayed two nights. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. Hotel decor was modern and very nice. Lobby, conference & breakfast areas are clean, well kept & modern. My room was clean, nicely decorated & had all the essentials. Bed was on the hard side, but bedding was nice. Shampoo, conditioner & body soap are in dispensers, so no take home samples. I did appreciate the make-up remover & hand soap bar. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! A++. They offer many choices of bread, muffins, make your own waffles & pancakes. Hot biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage (2 kinds), fresh fruit, yogurt & normal drinks. One of the better continental breakfast I have had without paying extra. The conference room was spacious and provided coffee, tea & ice water. Overall the hotel & staff are above average. I definitely appreciate the extra attention to customer service.
This was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had, and we travel at least six time a year. We enjoyed high-quality food with an amazing variety that exceeds that of any other hotel at which we have stayed. The fresh-cut fruit included pineapple, grapes, honeydew, cantelope, watermelon, strawberries, and oranges that were fashioned into art and looked like miniature mountains. There were also uncut bananas and apples. This variety was in spite of it being late November. They have waffles and pancakes, slow-cooked oatmeal with almonds, walnuts, raisins and brown sugar toppings, salsa and strawberry jam, two kinds of sausage along with biscuits and real sausage gravy, perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes, delicious egg omelettes and hard boiled eggs, full-sized yogurt cups, muffins, bagels, breads, dry cereals, milk, juices, and coffee. The hotel decor was modern and well kept, with no signs of deterioration. The live plants along the second-floor balcony overlooking the lobby were a pleasant addition.
This is a good hotel, very clean, beds very comfortable, great staff. A good Breakfast I will be back here to stay. I had stayed at a Best Western that was not good at all and I had decided to go to another hotel chain, this hotel changed my mind. I will be back to stay at this hotel, I recomend this hotel to everyone, it is really a great place to stay.
We have stayed at the BW Plus Lacey several times before and we are always pleased. The staff works really hard to make sure we have everything we need. The hotel is clean, the breakfast offering was delightfully "pre covid", with a good selection of hot and cold foods, served in a clean dining area. Our grandkids love the indoor pool, I would prefer it to be a bit warmer but the kids didn't mind.
I had read a few reviews and wasn't expecting too much. Initially we were just looking for something basic and a place to stay while visiting family. I WAS SHOCKED at how nice this hotel is. It was clean and quiet. The full hot breakfast was constantly being replenished and the area cleaned up. I would completely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I was in the area. Super close to lots of eating options and stores and just enough off the expressway to be convenient yet safe and quiet.
Front desk staff was rude to half of our wedding party because she said they looked “suspicious” when they walked into lobby to check in. She yelled at the grooms mother and degraded her it was awful!
The beds are super hard, the service was horrible & not welcoming, the rooms are very over priced for what you get. The breakfast, don't even bother. Even the coffee was horrible. Save your money and find a better hotel in the area. The Days Inn would've probably been a better choice!
I have been to four different Best Westerns in the last 2 weeks and this one has been the best. The full hot breakfast was excellent, including the eggs - which were not very great at a previous one. Nice little complimentary amenities like a free copy of the Seattle Times and fresh cookies in the evening. Easy to find food in the area with several options in walking distance. Clean. They do daily room cleaning if desired. Internet was a little finicky sometimes and had to log in multiple times a day. Decent value for the area. I would recommend this place to others.
My 6 yr old son learned how to swim in the pool here. The water is warm and the rooms are nice! will definitely be back next year! Free breakfast was hot with fresh fruit & juices!! The staff was very friendly and the check in was super easy hassle free!
Great place to stay. Friendly staff and great breakfast that's included. Clean rooms. Paola at front desk was very nice. We stay here when we come over to visit family. Love everything about it. My daughter left her ear buds and someone from housekeeping found them. She hurried out to the parking lot and gave them to us. That was awesome.
Great stay at the Best Western Plus in Lacey. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and accommodating. This location has easy freeway access and is close to many restaurants. It's so nice, we are rebooking our next stay at this hotel. Glad we found this place.
This was a great experience, the staff was friendly, the hotel was very clean. Our room was very nice and it was great value for the pet friendly room we had requested for our furbabies comfort. Definitely recommend!!!
When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and willingness to help. The building was very clean and welcoming. Received our room rapidly and any questions we had were answered well. the breakfast menu is very tasty and the personell were most helpful. A wonderful place to stay and we will make sure we use Best Western whenever we can or need one.
This is a beautiful hotel with a nice lobby, clean, new, rooms, and amenities. Unfortunately, for us, the front of the hotel had a huge 5G Tower facing it. Something we were trying to avoid. They were kind enough to change our room to the back of the building. Better view for us, but not the better room.
We always stay here (3-4 times a year) whenever we visit our daughter and grandson. This hotel is near grocery stores and restaurants. The customer service is excellent every time we visit!!! The staff are always very friendly, very helpful and they make us feel valued. Rooms are always clean and we feel safe.
Even with Covid restrictions we enjoyed our stay. Very clean. Breakfast could use some work, just not the same experience as we have received from Best Western. Front desk staff were very helpful. We could use the pool as long as you signed up for a time- worked well.
My husband and I stayed about two weeks in the beginning of April 2021. After the pet fee our daily cost was $155 and our deposit was $300. When we finally checked out we were running late so my husband called the front desk to request a late checkout. That being said, checkout is noon. He called before noon. Around 12:20 the calls to our room started and never stopped. As well as the harassing knocks pestering me at the door. How can I pack when I'm constantly on the phone and answering the door?! This is why we requested the late checkout, to avoid a situation like this. A simple request. The harassment got to the point of being shocking. And when my husband asked for his deposit back they tried to keep his $300 for an hour! He had to argue profusely for his money and they still ended up keeping $100. I can't believe they get away with this. Our room was clean, there was zero reason to steal our money. Their excuse was they were out of king rooms. Well Best Western, how about you don't tell someone they can checkout late if they cant!
We enjoy taking our grandkids to the Best Western Lacey. It is always clean, and the staff is excellent. Things are different during COVID but the staff does their best to make sure our stay is pleasant. We were able to use the pool on a limited basis and they offer a nice breakfast, considering the COVID limitations. We are eager to return for a close to home, safe get away.
We always stay at this hotel when we are in the Lacey/Olympia area. We discovered this hotel about 6 years ago and have stayed here multiple times ever since. The hotel is very clean and everyone who works there is very nice. We ran into a less than friendly employee at the front desk (at night) a couple of years ago but that was resolved and I don't believe they work there anymore. When this pandemic is over I'm sure the breakfast will be as amazing as ever, but they are doing a great job under the current circumstances. We cannot say enough good things about this place!
While other Best Westerns (and other hotel chains, for that matter) clearly state their pet policy and fees on their websites, this location does not. There is the option to pick a pet friendly room but no notation that a $30 fee (plus tax) will be assigned at check-in. While pet fees are to be expected at some hotels, it's best practice to advertise these upfront so customers can make informed decisions. We chose this hotel thinking it did not charge a pet fee. While there is a notation on the website stating some fees may be assigned for pets, we assumed this would occur should there be damaged or soiled furniture or carpet. It was so frustrating to find out at check in that there would be a fee, that the front desk agent was aware of the lack of transparency on the website given other guests' comments, and that there was no accommodation to waive the fee. Otherwise, the room was fine. It was clean (albeit noisy given our location next to the stairwell) and we experienced no other issues. However, we'll just know to, once again, look at other pet-friendly hotel chains first in the future.
This hotel provides quality and comfort away from home without breaking the bank. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the rooms are adequate in size. Bed was comfortable and the room quiet. I plan to stay here in the future as it is conveniently located to my daughter, shopping, Costco, restaurants, and I-5.
First time at this BW found it to be very clean, the rooms were spacious and the staff very friendly and super helpful. We traveled with our dog there was a nice grassy potty area. Would definitely come back and would recommend
The pandemic has put a huge damper on practically everything fun, especially for my teenage daughter who was turning 16. Thanks to the hotel staff, I was able to pull off a family surprise party for her. Two weeks before our party, a wonderful staff-member assisted me with scheduling early check-in to decorate and they ensured we had a reservation at the swimming pool for our family. We arrived early and check-in was seamless. Family members decorated the room while I went to pick up my daughter and one of her siblings. When we arrived with my daughter, the staff pretended like we were checking in and we whisked my daughter to our room. Thanks to the staff, she was completely surprised. Throughout our stay, we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. The hotel is very prepared for all things related to the pandemic. Signage and hand-sanitizer are located throughout the lobby, traffic flow to the breakfast buffet ensures everyone's safely getting served, and the hotel is spotless throughout, and scheduling the pool is easy and efficient. The hotel is staff are extremely professional and always eager to meet your needs. If you are looking for a nice “stay-cation” during these troubling times, the Lacey Best Western Plus will take great care of you and your family.
We are handicapped and stayed in a handicap room. Called for food delivery to be brought to our room. Front desk called and asked if we ordered food. Said yes and we would come down to pick up since desk claimed they couldn't. My husband went to the front desk and the staff said we couldn't have the food without ID. We explained she had called us and took the food. The problem was my husband swore at her bad service as he was leaving. She yelled he couldn't talk to her that way and that she would call the police. The police ended up at our room and demanded an apology to her. Other than that the room was just ordinary and bed was super hard.
This hotel is clean and staff is polite and friendly. Check In was painless. The hotel is very well kept and clean. Very modern. The rooms are very nice. The furniture is fairly new and comfortable. Enjoy your stay.
As out-of-towners, we found ourselves having to quarantine after a prerequisite COVID test prior to having a medical proceedure done at St. Pete'e in Lacey - so decided on this Best Western. The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. Our mini suite was VERY small, with a tiny bathroom, and a tiny fridge and micro sitting on a low shelf about a foot above the floor - very inconvenient to use either one. The room was pleasant, the bed was great, everything was in good working order. The cable, however, was awful and offered no on screen or paper guide (other than a laminated channel line up guide) as to what was on and when - by the time we found something to watch, the show was half over. The complimentary breakfast was weak - tiny, plastic clad breakfast burritos and dry pastries cut in to quarters, some rough looking fruits, etc. Their $30.00 per night pet fee was ridiculous! No emmenities, not even a complimentary Milkbone and no designated dog walking area - we were told that the adjacent casino had a nice grassy area!! Overall, our stay was pleasant, but nothing to write home about.
while the hotel itself is very nice and smells of new carpet, the bed was very from and the pillows seemed stuffed with a bunch of wool sacks, lumpy and hard. However, the room was spacious and had all the amenities. Breakfast had hot food but very greasy and the breakfast lady rude and threw food in everyone's to go boxes unnecessarily fast. At least there was juice. Wifi fast.
I was impressed with how nice this Best Western was, especially for the price of the room. It looks fairly new or newly renovated/decorated. The decor was nice, the bed was comfortable, everything was very clean. There was still a hot breakfast available, even if it wasn't quite as convenient and didn't have as many options as pre-Covid-19.
It's unfortunate that I have to write a review like this. I'm not a negative person and am generally agreeable. I do however like things to be handled in a straight forward and honest way. The review below exists because this Best Western Plus did not chose the straight forward and honest path. If you don't want to read on, know this. If you are traveling with a dog, stay anywhere else. This Best Western Plus charges an exorbitant $30 per night pet fee, and that fee gets you the worst room on the property. That's exorbitant for a 2 1/2 star hotel, equating to a 30%+ tax on the room rate. I booked two nights at this hotel through the Hotwire app, after having sorted by “pet friendly,” which this hotel is listed as, I selected this property. Nowhere on their app listing with Hotwire do they acknowledge any fee (resort fees are commonly listed and I happily pay them when they're disclosed). FYI when booking through Hotwire you prepay and bookings are final. When I arrived, I went through the check-in process, and received my room key, while my wife and dog waited in the car. After receiving the check-in key, I returned to my car, my wife and I grabbed our bags and dog, and headed to our room. Upon entering the hotel, we were immediately chased down and told we were going to have change our room and they were going to charge us the $30 fee per night. So standing there in the middle of the lobby with all our stuff, in front of other people, I was forced into an awkward situation where other people were watching (and petting my dog) while I asked questions about this sudden charge and room fee that was thrust upon me after I had already checked in. I was told I would have the opportunity to speak with the manager at a later time. A note on the “dog friendly” rooms. They're on the first floor, facing the parking lot (nearly a garden unit). Plenty of foot traffic going by plus the loud interstate and casino next door. Oh and it's a single queen bed. You pay upwards of $40 for this luxury. Upon checkout I attempted to address this with their manager. There was no interest in the customer being right. There was only interest in proving to me that somewhere in the fine print there was language denoting the $30 per night charge. Despite me showing her the process on my phone which I used to book the room, and it being clear that there was no fee listed, she stepped aside for 5 to 10 minutes going through her phone and every page on the website(browser version) trying to find their pet fee language. After some time, she did produce the language on the browser version(not the app). I pointed out that if it took over 5 minutes for her to find their pet policy in the fine print, then perhaps it's an issue with transparency and that my issue with lack of disclosure still stands. Her response to me was that I should have called them. To the extent at which they (Best Western) stuck to their guns on this fee to stick me with this $60 (plus tax!) charge, I eagerly await their reply to this review . There is no intention by them to do right by their customer (I don't anticipate their response offering a path to make this right), only to extort you for their pet fee. I hope they enjoy the $60, because as someone who travels a lot, all future $$$$ will be going to pet friendly chains like Kimpton or La Quintana. And I hope all the future customers who search dog, dog fee, dog charge read this review and go elsewhere with their dollars.
I have to say the staff at this hotel were excellent. The person handling the check in was fast and courteous. Even with the pandemic they are doing EVERYTHING they can to keep people safe, hand sanitizer is everywhere, the pens are cleaned, and the breakfast was really nice. They have someone there to get pre-portioned food off their menu.
I am so surprised by how well taken care of this Best Western Plus is. I had stayed at one before elsewhere but this one was outstanding in Lacey, WA. The hotel itself is newly renovated, and clean. You can tell they have put a lot of effort in the appearance of the hotel. As for the staff, the front desk person was really nice and helpful. She helped me print when I was in need and answered all my questions. The only issues I had was that the breakfast area was small and crammed so when I was getting my meal I was getting in the way of others. The traffic in this area was also a bit tough in the mornings. My room was super big and cozy. I am not a fan of staying in hotels for work purposes but I did not mind this stay. I am super glad I stayed here though. It is also conveniently close to many food places.
Somehow, Best Westerns have gotten a bad rap, at least in my experiences. I would always look for some other place that wasn't a Best Western to stay at. I recently stayed here with some family, and have to say I was pleasantly surprised by everything - the lobby, the rooms, the great breakfasts, and most of all the staff. Every single person who works there is extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is super clean, the rooms are very quiet, and the complimentary breakfast is tops.
Very clean and quiet. Easy access to and from I-5. Mt third stay in the last two months for a total of eight nights and everything has worked as it should in the three different rooms I stayed in. Five stars!
We held our Transportation committee business meetings for 2 days. Used the business conference room. Staff Was absolutely amazing, friendly & very helpful to all our needs. The rooms are spacious, clean and modernly decorated. Beds could be a bit nicer. Breakfast was wonderful, Full variety of foods; eggs, meat, Waffles, biscuits/gravy, hot/cold cereal & tons of pastries/breads, fruits and condiments. No extra charge!!! Fitness room is above average for onsite gyms. I enjoyed my workouts. Very much. Pool & jacuzzi were nice (per my husband), jacuzzi could have been hotter! Over all this hotel was 5 stars and we will definitely be coming again in the future. Thank you for such great service!
We had guest come to our "home" for breakfast. The hotel charged us for their breakfast! This is the only location to even suggest we should pay. We have stayed in 20-30 different BW locations, having guest for breakfast in at least 10, and never have had this attitude before this location. When I travel my hotel is my "Home". I often have guest at my home. I don't charge them for breakfast. This is a terrible attitude towards me at my home. We will never consider staying at this location again.
Good Hotel to stay at while on business, Close to everything i need. The only downfall, is the noise from the road, if your is on the wrong side of the hotel. Clean rooms, and nice staff. Always provide anything i need, extra pillow, coffee etc.
I stayed at the hotel for three nights for a business trip for meetings in Olympia at the State House and had to book accommodation last minute. The hotel si a great location to get to the State House. I usually stay in Hyatt or Hilton hotels, this was my first time at a Best Western. I arrived in after 11pm to the hotel from Boston and was greeted very warmly by the staff. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and I found the beds really comfortable. Breakfast in the morning hit the spot. All the staff could not have been nicer and courteous. It is evident they really take pride in their jobs and the hotel. The cleaning staff and the breakfast staff are just the loveliest people and really go out of their way to make your stay great. I will definitely come back again!
Even though we encountered some minor annoyances this trip (that we didn't even bother to report) this is our favorite place to stay when visiting the area! The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean!
Oddly out of the way for a Christmas Eve pet friendly place to stay 30 min from in-laws. Fell madly in love with staff who were professional yet personable, truly competent, helpful, not bitter working late Christmas Eve, early Xmas morning, clean, beautifully decorated, friendly, homey feeling, no Seattle-freeze thank god, just lovely competent people running one of the best best western locations (which we first used here Xmas eve but have come depend on the pet friendly and comfy beds of during back n forth road trips between WA and CA the past few years, even bucking some better know brands with perks we get through our jobs. Best western has emerged as our family favorite and this Lacey destination is #1 bc staff is just that much better than any other place we've stayed.
Fantastic breakfast. Friendly, courteous and accommodating staff. Every nook and cranny in this hotel is clean. Quiet and well appointed. Located near interstate and a variety of shopping venues. Consistently a wonderful travel experience.
This hotel was above and beyond what I expected, especially for the price! It was honestly way cleaner, friendlier, and had much better breakfast options than hotels I've stayed at for 3 times the cost! CLEAN: I'm super picky about cleanliness in hotels, but this one definitely met my standards! I really loved the sanitary remote too! Some hotels have those remotes covered in plastic, but this was the first hotel I saw that had an explanation for WHY, and it made me feel much better to know that those are being cleaned too! PET-FRIENDLY: Apparently there's an option to identify that you're bringing a dog while you're booking, but I looked for it and didn't see it on the website. I think there are specific rooms that are "pet friendly" so they like to know in advance so they can book you in one of those. We ended up just telling the woman who checked us in that we had a dog, and she was super understanding and accommodating! Every staff member who saw my dog (who, I have to admit, is very average lol) was THRILLED to see her, like she was the cutest and best dog they'd ever seen. It made me feel so welcomed! AMAZING STAFF: Like I said, all the staff were very sweet, but also REALLY good at their jobs! The front desk staff were very helpful, and when the woman who checked us in had to change our room to accommodate our dog, she even let me pick between two rooms - one had a king bed but was next to the elevator, which she said would be a little loud due to the beeping of the elevator, and the other had two queen beds but was not near the elevator. If she had just put us in the one by the elevator, the beeping would have been really obnoxious, but since she let us choose and warned us ahead of time, we knew what we were in for and didn't mind at all! The breakfast was great and the staff were really great at replenishing everything quickly even though it was really busy (the morning after Thanksgiving). The maintenance and cleaning staff whom I briefly ran into also seemed very efficient and friendly as well! I normally am not one to write reviews this long or enthusiastic, but I travel domestically and internationally quite a bit, and have paid a whole lot more for hotels, but this one was definitely the best I stayed in all year! I was so impressed with the quality and friendliness.
As a family with dogs it's difficult finding places that have dog friendly rooms. Best Western has made it easy for us to travel together. Hotel is clean and staff is always helpful. Made my stay very pleasant and stress free!
I was very unpleased by the quality and size of the room for the price. An extra charge on my credit card for having my dog was a surprise since I was under the impression it was included in the nightly price. (I've never traveled with a dog) My husband is a vet and deputy and there was no discount for him, I feel a 10% discount should be a normal thing. Had it not been late, a long day of traveling with 5 kids 7 and under and under not so pleasant circumstances we would have loaded back up and found a different hotel. The staff was very unprofessional, some looked like they rolled out of bed and barely made it to work while others so blatantly complained about coworkers. I am very unsatisfied and would recommend, with so many other hotels to choose from, find a different hotel. Oh, and to add the cherry, as I mentioned the kids earlier, one of them found a pill on the floor!
If your in Lacey this is the place to stay. Clean, updated, quiet and a breakfast that goes beyond your standard hotel breakfast with tons of fresh options. The staff is kind and helpful definitely one of my top 10 experiences in an economy hotel.
We have traveled that I-5 Corridor several times and never stopped in Lacey! This place was exceptional. Very clean and the “free” breakfast was amazing!!! What a spread. Very fresh with a lot of choices. I will mark this as a favorite for sure!
We really enjoyed our visit and staying at this hotel with the complimentary breakfast was awesome. We slept well, the facility was quiet and clean. No complaints. We will stay again the next time we are in the area.
Absolutely one of my top Best Western Hotels. Located in Lacey, WA right off of I5, and in walking distance of 20+ restaurants. Well maintained, wonderful breakfast and professional staff. I would rate this hotel as a top tier hotel. Every member of their staff very friendly and professional. Another positive this is a pet friendly hotel. A lot of grass areas around hotel to walk your dogs. Doggie bags are conveniently located outside the end doors. Very wonderful experience.
Everything was clean and orderly. Great value for the money. Location is perfect for shopping. We came to visit our son and family which was a mile and a half away. Will stay again and recommend it to other family members visiting our son.
Very friendly front desk who went out of their way to assist me. The room was clean and ready when I got there. The breakfast is really the best in the industry as far as buffet. I will be back again!
Excellence in all that they provide and do. Up scale interior as well as decor, professional and friendly staff, excellent perks, " swimming pool, sauna, fitness room, business room with several computers, complimentary newspaper, and an outstanding staff.
We drove up from Coos Bay ,Or about 5 hours away but didn't want to take a chance on driving same day as our cruise departure. We chose the suite room with two separate sleeping areas as we went with our 2 friends and shared the cost. Was impressed with the size of the room as well as having a separate tv for each room. The buffet was everything and more, not the usual continental breakfast, but a full buffet with everything always full and hot as needed.Highly recommend . Easy on and off freeway access in spite of roadwork while we were there.
Lovely hotel with some very nice natural views, in spite of being in the city. Restaurant across the parking lot makes it easy to check in and then get something to eat without havig to leave. Comfortable and clean rooms
This team just has it right. Clean, helpful, quiet, comfortable, safe, friendly, centrally located, AWESOME BREAKFAST (included). What more could you want ?? By far, the finest Best Western we have ever visited. And, probably the top hotel in this class that we have stayed at. ALL staff members were friendly and helpful. They were even able to assist with a few unusual requests that we had. Breakfast was varied, fresh, and delicious every day. Everything at the breakfast counter consistently kept full no matter how busy they were. VERY good coffee. We stayed four nights and every day was just right. Kudos to you all. Keep up the great work.
Really nice rooms, very clean, nice staff and good breakfast. Really enjoyed the staff that was on duty when going down for breakfast in the morning. He was a very nice guy. The kitchen staff was very nice and asked several times if there was anything that I needed. Very impressed. I will be staying here every time I come over for work.
From the time of Reservations to Check out the Staff at the Lacy best Western had be dialed in. I am so Thankful every-time I stay & Now my husband is staying up there for a few jobs he is working on & He LOVES it. He told me the staff is nicer to him then I am and you know I believe him LOL
We like to take weekend trips with our young grandsons and this Best Western is one of our favorites. It has a nice indoor pool, a very good breakfast buffet and the staff is very friendly and hard working. There are several family friendly restaurants near by.
I had a bulding fire, I'm an onsite manager at my property But I have been staying for about 2 months during the construction time. Business is putting me up during. Insurance will reimburse. But I love this specific hotel so much I cannot not stay! Thank you! I am a platinum member!
I've stayed at plenty of Best Westerns and this one is one of the best that I've stayed at. The rooms were very clean and very welcoming. The staff was also very polite and professional. However, the parking lot was small and I almost had to park in the vacant lot next to the hotel, the beds were harder than I prefer, the pillows went flat quickly, and on occasion I received a slight whiff of weed in the hall because other guests couldn't take it outside. But, I really enjoyed how quiet it was walking to my room and even while in my room. I heard nothing reverberating through the walls from other guests; very peaceful. The breakfast area next to the lobby was very good and had plenty to choose from as well. Overall, my stay was great and I will be booking with this Hotel the next time I stay in Lacey.
Spent three nights during a recent business trip. Staff was friendly, room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast had lots of tasty options that changed a bit each day for the sake of variety. Free coffee available all day in the lobby and easy free parking. Fairly quiet and peaceful. Will stay again here again on my next business trip to Lacey.
We were guests at the Best Western in Lacey before and after a 4-day backpacking trip. Staff went out of their way to accommodate all kinds of requests, large and small, and make us feel welcome. Special props to front desk master Chris Moreland for his special warmth, kindness, humor and professionalism. The entire front desk staff was an outstanding team. Breakfast offered an abundance of healthy and appetizing selections, and the hard-working team was terrific. The room was a bit small and in need up some modern updates (e.g., more outlets and plugs for electronics) but clean and comfortable. Even though the hotel was fully booked, we had absolutely NO NOISE from the hallway or neighbors above. Parking is ample and free. Staff graciously stored our luggage and allowed us to leave a car in the lot while we were on the backpacking trip--all at no cost--and it was a joy to return for one last night. Thank you all for a lovely stay.
Visiting for a week from out of state alone. Relatively new building in a very convenient location to many directions. Shopping center area across the street is walkable. Upon arrival, staff set up great expectations of how nice of a stay this would be by their friendly and conversational welcome. The breakfast was typical in foods offered. However, I have to say they were better quality, kept fresher by attentively refilling smaller amounts set out, and the dining staff was also very friendly and helpful when needed. Cleaning staff and other staff were all smiles, friendly, and approachable. Thought my A/C had broke and they looked at it very promptly. Was not broke, but buttons hard to push. So worked well the rest of the time. Will definitely stay at this location again. The rate paid was a tremendous bargain for the great atmosphere and service.
I will be back in few years when my son graduates. This is an awesome hotel. The best I've stayed in. The housekeepers did a very good job of cleaning my room.. the morning desk clerks were great they really helped me when my TV was not working properly.. the maintenance crew was there in 5 minutes.. so I'd rate this hotel a 12
Hotel and staff met and exceeded our expectations centrally located to our needs, very good restaurants closely located easy access to freeway entering and exiting. Will recommend this hotel to all our friends and stay here in future
Stayed for 1 night, August 24-25. Reserved a two king bed suite. My family and I were driving from Portland, Oregon to Vancouver, British Columbia and simply picked a location along the route to overnight. We were intrigued by the two king suite. Our only experience with two king beds in a room was at a golf resort, and we had enjoyed that a lot. With a child now in our family, we decided that the extra space was worth the additional expense. Having made many stops along the way, we only arrived in Lacey at 9 p.m. Tired from our journey, we would have been happy with any comfortable space. However, the two king bed suite exceeded our expectations. The main room had a king bed, sofa bed and kitchenette (with microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and sink). What surprised us was that there was a second room with the additional king bed. The travel crib we had requested was waiting for us on the sofa, so we quickly set that up in the second room. With our baby monitor unpacked and set up, we had a private room for our child, which allowed us to enjoy the main room after our child promptly fell asleep. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast the next morning. A high chair was available, and we especially enjoyed the fresh fruit. Instead of pre-cut chunks in sugary juice, we could see staff members cutting up watermelon slices, cantaloupe, strawberries and oranges. Food items were constantly replenished while we were there, and we thanked the staff for the complete service and quality. In all, this was the perfect end to our trip. We have already decided that any future trip to Seattle will require a return visit to the Best Western Plus in Lacey so that we can spend more than 12 hours at such a wonderful hotel.
Lacey Best Western is a great place to stay,. We were so happy with everything about our stay there. The room was lovely and well presented. The hotel was clean and bright, and the staff was one of the best I've experienced since joining Best Western Rewards program. Overall - perfect!
We used this hotel as a first night stop after landing at Seattle and prior to starting a road trip. It was just the ticket. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, responding very positively to our room requests. The hotel itself was well placed off I5 so very easy to find and, despite that, it proved to be very quiet allowing us to recover from our flight. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. the pillows were on the small side but that was not an issue. What made this hotel really stand out in this price range was the quality of the breakfast. Possibly the best we have seen in a Best Western (and many other chains). The selection was good, as was the quality and it was constantly replenished. That set our holiday off on just the right note.
The room was clean and bed was comfortable (slept well) they do need exhaust fans and makeup mirrors in the bathrooms. Food selection is good, quality was good also. Front desk Staff was friendly and helpful.Iva helped me out with as issue Thank you
This place was amazing they were spectacular. I was displaced from my home due to a fire, I am an Onsite Manager at my property, my work put me up in this hotel. It was magnificent in everyway! Absolutely clean and very friendly staff! Very empathetic to my situation and polite to my 6 year old that stayed with me.
This hotel was very ckean, had lots of extras compared to other simlar hotels for the yummy breafkast, a nice clean pool and jacuzzi , all good and working room amenities, good room layout and very friendly and heloful staff. We will definately stay therre again next time in Lacey.
The rooms in this four story motel are extremely quiet and large, especially for an average Best Western. I was on the fourth floor, and for three nights I did not hear any outside noise. Like most, the elevator was very slow. The "free" breakfast included juices, coffee and tea, cereal , bakery goods, pancakes and waffles, and eggs. They also provided sausages or bacon and biscuits and gravy.
We stay here annually during jazz festival. It is quiet, friendly, clean, well-appointed and the breakfast is excellent. Another secret: you can walk to Tallon Lane for some of the best curry anywhere or taste of the south next door.
Property is nice, room was clean and comfy. Issues: staff not super helpful. At check in, Paola gave me a weird fake smile, told me to sign/initial things that weren't explained (I had to ask), didn't offer any info on where room was, etc. In fact, when I arrived at 4 PM, there was no front staff and I waited about 10 min to check in. Around 10 pm, I heard loud noise from below me, which is where lobby and breakfast room are. I think they were vacuuming or polishing the floor? But it was loud and it was late and it went on for a long time. Really tough to sleep thru. Breakfast food was good but there was NO hot water for tea! Only coffee in the dispensers. Not everyone drinks coffee!! OJ was awful so I had no good options for drinks. Not awful but not great. If you're a coffee drinker and stay up late, you'll probably be ok.
The Best Western's have always treated me well. The Lacey one is top tier in every respect except for some slight maintenance items I spotted due to wear. The grounds are beautiful, the staff very well trained, the room was clean and well stocked, the price was reasonalble, and the breakfast was more than adequate. Would have no problem staying there again so I would highly recommend it and I tend to be very pickey. They even had a free sunday paper - in this case The Seattle Times - and that really surprised me. Over the top Man - they deserve your business. BTW - if you like anything about this review please give me a "helpful" vote. Thanks!
It was a nice room for the price. I stayed here on the way to the coast. It was a nice place for a quick night. Good for dogs too. Pick this place. Dont pick other places. This one is good. Do this one
Staff is awesome Hotel is clean and very accommodating close to amenities as well. If I needed something staff was there right away always friendly and helping to make things right. Food at breakfast was very good had a great assortment and variety for all.
This hotel is clean and has very comfortable bed. Free Breakfast was great!!! Tons of options: eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, doughnuts, muffins, toast, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit and more! There are two restaurants in the same parking lot and many more in walking distance. Shopping nearby which was great. There is a small pool and hot tub which were nice after a long day. They gym is small but was clean and smelled fresh, plus had a good amount of options of equipment.
This was my first time staying at this Lacey, WA. property and compared to other Best Western Plus properties, it was an excellent stay, Good breakfast and other amenities. the area is a comfortable and safe neighborhood.lots of shopping and restaurants close by.
Front desk guy was rude to my guests. He made them sign in when they got there. No one wants to do that. And he kept asking them if they were staying over. How is it any of your business who my guests are and how long they stay? Are you my dad? Am I 15 with a curfew? Did you ground me? Because of this I felt like I couldn't have anyone over abs it made my friends very uncomfortable. Its really rude. I love best western but I will never stay at this hotel again. Night one was 87$. Night 2 was 160$. And she ran my card before telling me it was double... Smh. Yeah... Never coming back. Shame. Its a nice hotel in a great location.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is convenient to the freeway but nice and quiet. The breakfast was quite good in terms of selection and quality. The room was on the small side but very clean. My only complaint is the tiny pillows. They're about 1/2 the size of a normal pillow and tough to get comfy with.
Love the staff. They where extremely helpful. I came in a tad early and they didn't quite have all the rooms ready yet but found a room and where extremely accommodating. I was able to get my workout in and shower and change because of it ! Love this BW !
Carla was terrific at check-in. Friendly, thorough & informative. She saw that we were buying a bottle of water and walked us over to the dispenser in the dining area. The rooms were a pleasant surprise: granite tops and tub surround, nice quality furnishings & fabrics, comfortable bed and a quiet air conditioner.
Family trip to Hand On Children's Museum in Olympia and this is where I prefer to stay. Nice room, good location, decent breakfast, pool for the kids, good workout room and most importantly an amazing staff!
Was a wonderful trip. when we gotg mixed up on our directions , we called and the lady at front desk, figured out where we were and stayed on the phone and talked us back to the hotel. they we're always so nice. Breakfast was good.
I stay at this location 5-7 times a Year. This service I receive and the experience is the reason I return. The staff is professional and curtious. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast always has a great selection
Best Western Plus is Always clean and reliable. My go to for business and leisure. Unfortunately they do not cater to long term stay, (over a week). We called the rewards number but they had mo kitchens and the Candlewood Inn & Suites was as nice and less expensive.
This is a classy inn that still sparkles long after its opening. It boasts many appealing features from a spacious lobby with a nearby elevator to a free breakfast with so many offerings that it truly seems like a deal. That said, there is not much personality in the well-equipped rooms -- the decor is sleek, but cold. There also should be more bedding in the winter -- an extra blanket in the closet was encased in plastic case that made it look like a spare pillow. Lastly, the commitment to a Green environment is seriously undercut by having only plastic utensils in the breakfast room. Not only do these contribute to way too much plastic waste, they are really poor utensils that have difficulty cutting such soft fare as pancakes and sausages. Metal utensils would be way better on both counts. Finally, this lodging is not that far from Interstate 5, but it is well-located off the freeway and does not seem to have any sound intrusion from the often high volumes of passing traffic. In sum, this is an excellent place to stay if one happens to be in the vicinity of Lacey, amid many neighboring properties of national chains, but hardly the sort of place to seek out otherwise.
The bed was broken down, could not even sleep on it. Couch and chair in suite were well used and broken down as well. Breakfast was sub par at best. The staff was very friendly and listened to our concerns however could not do anything to remedy the problems.
Great place at a great price. Yes, it cost a bit more than the low or mid range hotels, but with a full breakfast I've learned this is the better deal. I've stayed here many times now and have never been disappointed
I searched and searched for a decent hotel that provided in room jacuzzi's for my husband and I's mini get away. I was recently diagnosed with MS so things have been a roller coaster for us. We just wanted to escape for one relaxing night. Things were going good until we came back after grabbing dinner and went to use the jetted tub. My husband and I pushed the button 20+ times and nothing happened. So I called the front desk fully expecting resolution but instead I was simply told sorry ma'am, this sometimes happens but I don't know why. There is a hot tub down stairs next to the pool you're welcome to use until 10pm. I'll let the maintenance person know so they can check it out AFTER you check out. I cannot use hot tubs due to the water temp. We paid extra for an IN ROOM jetted tub not community hot tub anyway. Not to mention said jetted tub is not the standard 2 person in room jacuzzi that every other Best Western we've stayed at offers. This was in the regular bath tub in the bathroom. Customer service needs improvement. We won't be staying again. Ruined our trip thats for sure. Pardon any misspellings or grammar issues.
This hotel is what every Best Western strives to be, and is very well executed. it is clean and modern, without being ostentatious. The included breakfast is very good without being pretentious. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and have pleasant decor. The beds are quite comfortable. Of note is that they have two-bed suites with one of the beds in a separate room - I love this option at hotels! Would absolutely stay here again!
They let me check in early. Room is clean and spacious. Hotel is in a great location- close to several restaurants, Safeway's, Costco, Panera, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, etc. staff very friendly. They have coffee maker in the room. Good breakfast selection.
My family and small dogs stayed here on our move across the country. After a really long day driving through the snow covered mountains arriving at this beautiful and well-maintained Best Western was a welcomed relief. The lobby was warm and welcoming and the rooms offered all the amenities we could ask for and more. We stayed in a 2 queen room and the beds felt like a cloud. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with options that everyone loved. We would definitely stay here again and again!
I was here on business and chose this BW Plus for its proximity to my assignment. The room (403) was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was fresh smelling and not musty. The breakfast room was very tidy and orderly and had the best presentation of the food items that I have ever seen when compared to other BWs. I would go back again!
Typical hotel with the same amenities as others, clean and quiet with no major complaints. Older bed that sunk to the middle with a very bland room appearance. Nothing negative regarding the hotel but nothing to write home about either.
Overall a great place to stay. Willing to work and get any special request outside the normal also. Front desk manager and team willing to go above and beyond. Fresh food for breakfast, nice selection. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
We were thrilled with this premise, not only could we bring our big dog, but EVERYTHING was done up as triple*** amazing. We'd go back not just while traveling, but as a destination. So much to do in the area and front counter provided handouts done up for ALL the activities available. Warm cookies in the afternoon....
Check in was friendly and smooth. This property is newer, so it has that new look and feel to it. The entrance was clean and inviting. The room was clean, cozy, the bed was comfy, and more importantly it was quiet. The breakfast was great and had a very nice selection of items to choose from.
I have stayed here twice and have had a good experience both times. The hotel is reasonably priced, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are clean. I will stay here again the next time I am in town.
Very easy access from I 5. Across street from Costco and a residential area on next block. Right next to a casino with tables only and a full service restaurant. Rooms are very spacious and they're pet friendly. Good hotel type breakfast with quite a few choices. An extra sink outside of bathroom. Good place to stay!
This hotel is in a good location for the business training I attended. It is easy to get to and has many dining options close by. The hotel is clean and quiet. The room is functional for multi night stay with a desk and couch.
Room was clean, everything worked, breakfast was satisfying. I would recommend the Best Western in Lacey to anyone who needed a hotel in that town. It's right off the interstate and close to a lot of convenient stores.
There are a lot of hotel choices in Lacey, Washington. You can stay at the Lacey Best Western Inn and Suites or you can go with cold oatmeal. The staff, amenities, full service breakfast, and room quality are second to none.
Love this hotel centrally located in lthe area of Lacey, we had booked a room down the street and the cigerette smoke was horraible. so we moved to the Best Western and it was awsome! smells & looks very clean and the staff was super acconedating.
This is a great freeway-side hotel. The service is always Best-Western-great, the rooms comfortable, the staff pleasant, and the breakfast bar in it's own class, far better than others. I have grown to be a long-time repeat customer of BW's and will remain so.
Booked a king suite- only available room is a double queen. Another client arrived- got a big hassle because even though the reservation was in his name the account was in his girlfriends name so they weren't going to honor the reservation- maybe because he was not their “type” of client? Go somewhere that is excited to have you.
I highly recommend this hotel when traveling on I-5 in the Olympia, Washington area (Exit 111) . It's very close to the highway, there are nearby restaurants and shops, it's very clean and comfortable, they have a great pool and hot tub, the breakfast is excellent and free! The staff is wonderful, and very helpful. The front desk serves hot cookies in the evening, and has complimentary copies of the Seattle Times in the morning for those of us who still get their news by (wait for it....) a newspaper! Thanks Best Western!
This is a very nice hotel approximately 10 minutes from JBLM's main gate. It features an indoor pool and fitness room. The breakfast is basic continental fare with some hot items (pancakes, eggs, sausage). They have a great coffee/tea set up that is open 24/7. There is a nice long bar-style table with lights in the front lobby that I have use several nights getting work items done. I travel for work to JBLM and spend close to 20 nights a year in this hotel. You can't beat it.
From the check in to the check out we had a great experience. Any questions were cheerfully answered. The room was clean and comfortable. We needed a late check out and they accommodated us on that. We recommend this Best Western .
We discovered that this location had easy access to the State Fair in Puyallup without all the busyness of places closer to it. (The Green Gate is the easiest to get to from here.) The building, grounds, and rooms were all well-maintained and inviting. We had a handicap-accessible room on the third floor. It was the first room you see when you get off the elevator. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had well-located support bars. There was a low tub that was easy to get into, especially with all the bars. There was a shower chair, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were in fixtues that you just pressed to get the product. This was so much easier than using bar soap. One thing that would be helpful is better accessibility to plugins on the bedsides. Pulling out the nightstand to be able to plug my CPAP machine in was inconvenient. (Only the right side, facing the bed, had an outlet close enough to use.) It would have been nice if they had lamps that we've had in some our stays, that were just like the ones in the room, but had an outlet in them. We appreciated being able to use the business center to print out tickets for the State Fair. The personnel were all friendly. The breakfast was so good! Instead of the standard fare scrambled eggs, there were egg pockets with cheese and sweet peppers inside. (I knew these would be hard to describe, so I took a picture.) The selection was excellent, with very good biscuits and gravy. The were also two kinds of sausages. and you could make fresh waffles and pancakes. The fresh variety was good, and there were also the regular items you expect at a breakfast bar. Breakfast is served until 9:30, I think, which was convenient on our second day when we slept later. We will stay here again if we are in the area.
After spending a week camping in Olympic National Park, we stopped in Lacey before returning back to Sea-Tac. We checked into Best Western Plus Lacey Inn & Suites and was everything we could have asked for. Clean, quiet rooms and the best breakfast! The woman at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, it felt like coming home. She let us know about all the amenities, hot tub, breakfast, cookies at 5PM, etc. All we really cared about was a warm shower and a comfortable bed. The rooms are very spacious, my husband is super tall and the shower head was tall enough for him to feel like it was a rain shower. The warm cookies were delicious and we were excited for breakfast the next day. We were on the 2nd floor and could not hear anyone above us. On top of the cookies and breakfast, coffee, water, and tea is offered to the guests 24/7. We woke very well rested and walked down to breakfast at about 7:30 AM, no one was there yet so we had everything to our self. There was everything you could have wanted! Fresh fruit, biscuits, gravy, sausage, kielbasa, eggs, yogurt, donuts, bagels, make your own waffles and pancakes and so much more. We filled up and enjoyed our morning. When we checked out around 9:00AM the breakfast room was full, early bird gets the good seats! If we are ever in the area we would stay here again for sure. Great price, friendly and informative front desk, delicious breakfast and cookies and super comfortable beds! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
Having stayed at various BWP's over the last number of years, I have always found these properties to be consistently very good, with very good staff. Not sure how some of the negative comments I see come about, but I have never had such issues at any of the BWP's I've stayed at over the years. The Lacey location is no exception. It looks like a relatively newer property. Lobby and exterior well maintained and comfortable. Lobby has a nice touch with a long quartz like narrow table with about 3 bar stools on either side to allow people to gather. The usual sofa chairs were also there in the lobby which was kept organized and clean. Check in staff was friendly, and efficient. Baked cookies and coffee was a nice touch. Cookies tasted great. I like the card tap entry into my room, as opposed to sliding the card into a card reader which has always seemed to be 50/50 with me. One thing I noticed right away that was different was the gigantic doors for each room. Door height might exceed the ceiling height at some other hotels. Room was clean and ready to go. Soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower were filled, so no chance of running out. A/C in the room was definitely powerful enough to cool the whole room. Bathroom was spacious. Shower head adjustable settings, and they all worked. The only concern I had was the height of the shower head being a bit on the high side. At 5'7" I was just able to reach the shower head, so I hate to think how shorter people might fare with this. I was concerned at first when i didn't hear a bathroom fan come on. I like to take hot showers, and it is brutal when the venting doesn't work well. However, there was a vent in the bathroom, and with the very high ceiling, the amount of steam buildup was minimal and cleared up quickly on the mirror (within minutes of finishing the shower). Something was definitely happening to evacuate the steam. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I also used their fitness facility, and was glad that it seemed well maintained overall. This area is usually neglected at some of the hotels I have stayed at. There was a treadmill, elliptical machine, and recumbent bike. Free weights were also there, with an adjustment dial to set the desired weight to be lifted. There was a 3 station universal gym for chest press, leg extensions, shoulder and chest pull downs, and elevated leg raises. The cooling in the room was great - standard a/c unit plus a portable cooling unit almost made the room too cold, but I'll take that anyday over no ventilation. Towels were available as well as antiseptic wipes(don't see these too often in other hotels) to wipe down the equipment one finishes using. Water fountain was also in the weight room. There were also a couple of yoga mats available as well. The only thing I will mention is that the treadmill did not have the magnetic safety feature that disables the machine if pulled from magnet receptacle. While the cord was there, the end piece that normally clips onto the person was missing. Breakfast is as shown on some of the pictures by various reviewers. Regular breakfast sausages(long ones, not the round ones); mini egg omelet, potatoes, oatmeal(already fully made in a pot); waffle maker (a standard round one, plus another that could make 4 mini ones); pancake maker; and warm biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fresh and so soft, and went very well with the gravy. The pancake maker was off to the side, so not sure how many people would have noticed it. It was automatic, just push the button for the amount you want, and within a couple of minutes, the machine "spits" out your pancake. Note that with this being and automatic pancake maker, the pancakes themselves will not be "fluffy. They were a bit "tough" to cut as well. Fresh "cut' fruits was a nice change. Strawberries, pineapples, melons, and the orange which was cut out of skin and placed back. Have not seen this before - bottomline, I didn't have to peel anything. Hardboiled eggs were still in the shell - which I prefer because i would be the only who touches the shelled egg. The two ladies looking after the replenishment were working hard keeping the area clean and filled with food. At one point, the front desk person came in and asked whether additional table should be setup to handle the flow of people going in for breakfast. I was impressed to see this as it is something I wish more people would do during the morning breakfast rush. Definitely she was observant and monitored what was happening. Good work! The wireless internet seemed to be running at fiber speeds. I have an app on my phone to measure the internet speed, and it gave me 150 mbps, similar to my fiber setup at home. If this is actually the case, then definitely this is the highest speed I have ever seen at a hotel. The wall outlet by the desk in the room has 2 USB receptacles. Would have been ideal if there was one more wall outlet with such a setup for even more convenience. The hotel is located in an area with a lot of different amenities and shopping. Costco virtually in its backyard along with Home Depot. A very good stay, wish I had more time there!!
Very uncaring staff. Only one front desk person checking people in and she did not know how to handle the needs of people checking in and there was a long line at check in. Room carpet was stained and worn. Room sink had a large crack with dirt and mold in the crack which indicates that it had been damaged for a long period. The overall appearance of the room was very worn looking. The basics need to be updated. We stayed there during a vacation trip.
In the morning I was filling my plate with food and the first thing that one of the ladies taking care of the breakfast said was, "you can't take food from here". I assume that because I had a good amount of food on my plate she thought I was taking some with me...or saving it for later? So what if I was? I paid for it. I expect a "good morning" from these people. I found her very unprofessional.
This Best Western's rooms look and feel like almost every other US Best Westernwith the addition of a small fridge and microwave, so you do know what to expect. While this property is right next to I-5, our 4th floor room was very quiet, except for the dinging of the elevator (we were very close). The breakfast was outstanding by Best Western standards. The only problem we had was that the in room coffee maker was kaput.
I stay at a lot of Best Western brand hotels, this one was really great. I don't often stop so close to Seattle, but this gives me a great option being close enough to work the next day, but less expensive to stay. The hotel feels super new. The lobby, halls and room are perfectly clean and the rooms are bright and spacious. Staff was great and I really enjoy hot breakfast when I'm traveling.
The rooms we stayed in looked brand new, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The people who work here really seem to care about doing a great job, and the breakfast was delicious and well-stocked with fruits and any kind of fresh food you'd care to eat, including biscuits and gravy, make-your-own waffle bar, and pastries. We'll definitely be back.
Can't wear sandals in this hotel unless you want a trip to Urgent Care. Informed the manager and even showed them my cut up toe. He didn't seem to care at all and didn't even offer an apology. POOR customer service. We'll see how much the urgent care bill is and maybe I'll send a copy to Best Western. Still don't think this manger would care though!
Have stayed at 2 Best Western locations in 2 states and they were consistently clean and upgraded. Breakfast is included and isn't just danish and coffee - something for everyone. Staff super-friendly and helpful.
Very disappointing hotel. Not up to BW standard at all. Room not made up on second day. Musty smell around bathroom. Hook on bathroom door missing. Had to change room due to elevator noise. Insufficient seating in dining room, had to wait for a table. Extremely loud AC unit. Wish we had stayed on at La Quinta.
I stay at the Best Western as often as I can when I am in Lacey. The staff have always been friendly and very helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have always been clean. The breakfast presentation, especially the fruit display, is very appealing and the fruit selection is varied and the fruit is always fresh. I also try to use the fitness center and the equipment has always worked well. Overall for the price Best Western is an excellent choice.
The best person that works there is Krissy she is always making sure that we have a great stay and always smiling. She truly cares about her job and makes sure that all the guests know the best western standards.
We enjoyed a comfortable stay in a very nice room. Bed was comfortable, room clean, amenities were all working well. The breakfast was exceptionally good. While not an inexpensive hotel, this BW+ is in an ideal location for shopping, freeway access, and proximity to the Puget Sound area.
Very Happy....Easy Stay for 7 day, Great Quick Breakfast, with lots of choices.... Lovely Staff... Room was clean... Could use Make up mirror in Bathroom.... Could be a little less money, kind of pricey for BestWestern, around 165.00 per night / 7 days 1,100+ .... They have pool, and gym but didn't use... internet and TV work fine... Could use bigger pillows and feather free.... Won't want room near elevator cause of the bell is loud... We had a nice quiet room at the end of hall....
The staff were sincerely friendly and entire hotel very clean. The hotel is very conveniently located but set off from the street so it isn't noisy. It is in an area with sunlight so the building isn't moldy. It is in a secure area.
Our family stayed here after spending some time in Seattle and heading to Portland. Staff was wonderful and our room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was impeccable. Pool was fine when we stayed. From this location we drove to Mt. St. Helens, which was an easy drive. Looked like there were lots of fun activity options closeby.
This is a very reasonably priced hotel, with excellent service. The staff is friendly and attentive, and will go out of their way to help you find your way to places of interest. A full complementary breakfast is served every morning. A good restaurant is just across the parking lot, with others a short walk or drive away. The rooms are very clean and large, with plenty of counter space in the bathroom and plenty of room to store things.
Its a nice hotel that was clean and modern looking. Had a great breakfast with two persons keeping the area clean and the food stocked. Lot of people eating in there both mornings we stayed. Room was clean comfortable and well appointed. Beds nice with clean covers, we slept well. Useful and nice furniture, 2 sinks in the double queen. We were on the second floor, only heard a little noise upstairs. All in all, nice quiet room. The contact we had with staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Front desk, maid service, maintenance person, and breakfast staff all were great. We liked the location close to shopping and lots of restaurant choices. There's a casino and restaurant next door. Close access to the freeway, the area does have a bit of traffic and congestion. I give 4 stars and not 5 due the cloudy unusable indoor pool, and the carpet at the entrance to the room(s) was worn. Ours had a few stains. Carpet was only worn at the entrance and bath area near door. The carpet was in good shape in the rooms interior. Maybe a vinyl or laminate might be a good option to fix that, without replacing the entire carpet. We brought our bathing suits and were disappointed we couldn't use the pool. We enjoyed our stay overall and would recommend the hotel, mainly because it is well maintained and managed, good location, with great employees.
Super modern lobby and great breakfast. The room we got (largest) had a separate second bedroom that only was enterable from the one suite (great for families with kids 1 exit!). The only items I can say need major improve the is he WiFi speeds... and the pool water was a bit chilly (minor).
We were here this weekend for two nights. Asked for away from traffic and elevator and ice machine. We arrived from a very early flight. They had our room cleaned and ready by 11:00 am. We were put on the 4th floor on the backside. It was so quiet even the refrigerator did not wake me up. My husband had the complimentary breakfast and it was more than continental. He had bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, fruit muffins.... They even had gravy. Nice variety. This one is located minutes from a good Mexican restaurant called Maya. Good service and good food there. There is huge farmers market close by with food trucks and they sell all kinds of things from jellies to veggies, fruit, chocolates, jewelry. It is a permanent structure so they are there more than one day a week.
This Best Western is an amazing value for the money. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, breakfast is FABULOUS and the location is super convenient to I-5. And yet, the hotel is so well built that I didn't hear the freeway at all! If you have any reason to be in the Olympia area, this is a great option for you.
Caring and concerned staff and very accomodating. Pleasant atmosphere and accessible to the highway with easy on and off. I would definately used this property again and suggest it to friends and family.
The lady at front desk MICHELLE was great. Went out of her way to make sure I had the right room and that everything was in good order. In fact she even made fresh cookies. WOW great service Someone should give that girl a raise.
I have been staying at this great Hotel every time come to Lacey for the last year or so the rooms are super clean and comfortable, the breakfast with lots of choices and the staff here wow very nice and professional. the lady at the service desk Michelle always makes me feel welcome and love her fresh baked cookies. is people like Michelle that keeps me coming back because her way of making people feel welcome and right at home. thank you Michelle for all you do Jorge Lopez
Stayed here for the first time for a business event. Room was ready ahead of schedule, check-in was quick, staff was friendly. Room was large clean and comfortable. Convenient to freeway and shopping. Use the pool and the spa to relax. Probably the best breakfast I have had at a Best Western.
Nice room and bed, clean. Lots of stores and places to eat around the area. Quiet, pet friendly location by a huge dog park. Staff was nice and helpful. Great breakfast facility and items. Will stop here again.
Well everyone likes a deal so on a recent trip into Washington I decided to use 10,000 points Best Western had a promotion going this month. I had never stayed here but I was very impressed. Their staff was super nice, The property is clean, comfortable and safe. They have a great pool and hot tub and they have a wonderful facility guy who I am sorry his name slips me, but he has been at the property 14 years and he made sure that the pool and hot tub were running really well, he obviously takes pride in his work and he really cared about our stay and how our trip was going. Really nice person. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone we know. Give it a try if you are in Olympia. Very handy location near many places to eat, shop and or bars and casinos if that is your thing.
This is a very nice Best Western....nothing fancy, but very clean, modern, comfortable. The breakfast is on the plus side. We travel regularly to or through Olympia and we will use this BW in the future.
This is a nice hotel in a great location for visitors to Olympia or the Ft.Lewis/McChord base, right on I5, and although my room was facing the street, I could barely hear traffic- even when I opened the window- highly recommended.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Lacey Inn & Suites and I thought it lived up to its reviews. It's clean, well maintained and provided a very good breakfast. Efforts were made to update the showers, counters and linens. The attendees who provided the breakfast were busy wiping down chairs and counters while waiting for customers which I thought was impressive. My only concern was for the poor lady who greeted us at the reception desk had noticeably bad teeth with obvious anterior decay and moderate buildup and gum disease. I would really advocate for these customers service workers, some kind of dental care so these employees who greet the hotel customers everyday can smile and feel confident about their teeth. This is so important!
There isn't a bad room in this place. Our room was probably in the worst place possible when you think of hotel stays. directly across from the elevator, above the venting machine area, and right next to the front desk. We were not sure how great our sleep would be at check in. It was fantastic, we couldn't hear any of it, I was amazed. This is probably one of my all time favorite Best Western properties.
We are never disappointed when staying at this hotel. It costs a little more than other hotels in the area, but the staff is always friendly, everything is always clean, and the breakfast is excellent.
$20 pet deposit NOT REFUNDABLE as BringFido app states, manager did not care to honor the stated information. Randy the manager was quite short with me, after seeing what the app stated he did not make any compromises like many other hotels have. He told me to call and complain to BringFido. Many hotels we've stayed at will honor this app information and treat you as valued customers, not at this BW.
Great hotel, friendly staff, very clean inside and out. The express checkout was really good option. Stayed over for only a night for a family reunion, but would definitely stay there again when needed.
One thing I dread when traveling is getting sick and both my husband and I did during our visit to the area to see family. The staff could not have been more kind. Neither one of us could eat so they found Peppermint tea for us and peppermints and kept the water bottles coming. When we realized we could not fly out the day scheduled we called the front desk and they were very accommodating in allowing us to stay put for one more night. That aside, our room was large (thank God we had 2 queen beds this time!!), very clean and comfy, flat screen tv, coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave. Conveniently located for us with family only a few minutes away. I highly recommend this Best Western Plus and kudos to their kind and caring employees.
Visited family. Hotel was close to main street, we were able to walk to places to eat. Hotel clean, breakfast outstanding, for hotel breakfasts. Had fresh fruit, yogurt, apples, and of course, the waffle machine!
Stayed here as close to Cabelas for a little shopping. Very clean newer hotel. Room and bed were cozy. Great coffee in room. Breakfast was wonderful and included many items including strawberries and watermelon . All staff friendly and accomodating. Pool and hot tub were small but served their purpose. Walking distance to Costco and quick walk to Hawks Prairie Casino and Restaurant. We loved the restaurant and we received 15% off from staying at the hotel. Loved it and kid friendly but with full bar...bonus! Stay here! You can't go wrong!
Have stayed here a lot over the last few months. Very good staff and friendly. Breakfast is way above other places. Would recommend to family and friends. Close to places to eat and Costco is across the street. At the time of this review nothing negative to say. A plus is I have never seen a bus for a team or anything here. So have never had to worry about loud people and getting a good nights rest.
I always stay at a Best Western. Their facilities including an indoor pool are always clean. Their Showers, TVs, Coffee Makers, Etc. always work. I like that I know what to expect in the way of their rooms, breakfasts, and staff. I use Best Western for both business and family travel.
A new hotel. The room was larger than most of the hotels we have stayed in. There were two sinks in the room, one in the bathroom, and a second near the refrigerator & microwave. An excellent place to stay with large clean rooms, friendly helpful staff. Just off Interstate Hwy 5, so it is handy place for the highway traveler. We plan to stay again on our return trip to SeaTak Airport.
The overall expereince was outstanding. The team was very attentive to every guest and they took the time to engage guest. I truly enjoyed the stay. The front desk clerk was awesome. You could tell he was passionate about his job. The rooms were very clean. They do have pet rooms and I specifically did not want a room where a pet stayed.
Everyone great, it's my get away place, something in the breakfast area for everybody pool and hot tub very nice and clean rooms are very comfortable i love the wall mounted shampoo and conditioner and the evening cookies are a nice treat
A great stopover for the night. Convenient location with I-5 access. Free breakfast. Extremely clean property with a helpful staff. Washer and dryer on site. Good location for close restaurants. Rates were extremely reasonable.
THis hotel is convenient for us upon our trips to places north, and visits to family in the Olympia area as well. The owners and management take care of the property and hire staff that is customer oriented. The guest room furnishings are in good order and comfortable beds as well. We look forward to another visit here before the end of Nov and yet another visit in Dec 2017.
Our room was fine and it's a clean place. When I asked at checkin about my inlaws room they lied to me about it saying that they had them right next to us when in fact they didn't even have their reservations.
I usually stay in Best Westerns because of the rewards program. This one stands out. Its new, very clean, great employees and I really like the fruit selection for breakfast. I will try to stay here as often as I can when I'm in the greater Seattle are for business.
Highly recommend this hotel if staying in the Lacy or Olympia area. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, good free breakfast and good selection of local restaurants nearby. Hotel also has computers for your use to access the internet.
The location and access to this hotel was great for an overnight stay. The staff were excellent, bed was comfortable, breakfast good, and Lacey was a nice little place. We enjoyed dinner at a Thai restaurant a short walk from the hotel.
Had a wonderful stay. Staff was friendly and accomadating. One thing I will point out. Is that the hotel states it is "pet friendly", it is ONLY dog friendly. I had a cat and called to make sure I could get a pet friendly room. Upon check in (I made arrangements for my cat to stay elsewhere) is when I found out that they only allow dogs.
Everything was great. They let us check in early at 12:00 instead of 3:00. Room was nice and clean. Tv has lots of channels. Breakfast was good from oatmeal to waffles to omelettes. Very convenient to highway. Would stay at this hotel again.
I came in late, and the staff were energized, friendly, and ready to check me in. The moment I stepped into the room I felt comfortable. The room was fresh smelling, clean, and super quiet, which is what I needed for an all day meeting I had to prep for the next day, thank you.
This was the cleanest, friendliest, nicest motel I have stayed with in a long time. The breakfast was more than fantastic. Even the thought that went into the presentation of the breakfast items was 5 star plus. Everything was top of the line and will be staying there again
We stayed here the night before a charity bike ride. The front desk was kind enough to give us a ground floor room right by the exit so we could easily bring in our bikes. Clean room, comfortable beds. The front desk let my husband into the breakfast room early so he could load up before his 100 miler. The breakfast was one of the best buffets I've seen. The fresh fruit (my favorite part of a buffet) was wonderful. Two kinds of RIPE melon, pineapple, strawberries, bananas, apples, oranges and grapes. Applesauce, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, two kinds of sausage, veggie omelets, waffles, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal and cereal and pastries. Outstanding. Nice if small pool and spa. Room was on the small side, but even with two bikes it was okay. And fast free wifi. I'd return.
We visited Seattle and wanted to visit a relative in Lacey so we decided to stay in Lacey instead of driving back to Seattle - found Best Western in Lacey - very affordable, clean, friendly staff, clean room, quiet and very comfortable - the continental breakfast was really good too! Thank you Lacey - we'll be back!
From the time I walked through the front door of the hotel, we were treated as a VIP. The staff and presentation of the hotel (aesthetically pleasing) is truly among the best! I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
This place was really sweet! I have some great sex with my girl there. I will go again! Also the people there were really nice but for this grumpy lady at reception. I also like the ubication of the place, you can get there really quick from every speed way in the city.
Rooms are spacious and quiet. Staff makes you feel at home and not rushed during check-in. We normally eat breakfast but did not this time; food looked good when I walked through for some water. Business office for guests was quiet and easy to use. This is an easy on/off to the freeway location.
We have been coming to the BW in at least twice a year since it opened and will continue for many more years,we will because of front desk staff remain loyal to Lacey BW. The also do an excellent presentation of the breakfast.
We were going to stay in Olympia but decided to stay in Lacey instead. Check in was quick. We did not see much of the area to know what was there. We ate dinner at the casino next door. It was decent food for the cheap price. Would not hesitate to stay here again if I was in the area. Only complaint was a lack of choice for zero calorie drinks in vending machine. My husband is a diabetic and cannot have the sugary drinks.
Check in was awkward because the girl at the desk didn't want to show us the room first(which you should always do by the way! You never know what you're really going to get until you see it! Nice lobbies don't always equal nice rooms.) and actually grumbled about it out loud but after getting her past that things went smoothly. The rest of the staff was excellent. Pros: Clean spacious rooms with no "hotel room" smell at all. The breakfast was great with a fresh fruit buffet and little omelets and sausages and the like. A very clean and organized buffet. 12pm check out! Cons: The hair conditioner dispenser in the shower was frustratingly slow to dispense it's contents. I appreciate the concept but the dispenser needs work. Bring your own and you'll be happy. The pool room was also small and contains the hot tub as well making for a very humid and chlorine'y environment. Add a couple shrieking kids and you'll want to hang out somewhere else. If you don't care too much about the pool like I didn't you'll have a great stay. A tip: If you're hungry take your room key card with you to the little casino in the parking lot next door you'll get 15% off your bill. We only discovered this by accident. They also have a large selection of local beers on tap and are generous with the samples so you can pick the ones you like. The chicken parmasean was really nice.
This is one of the finest BW properties we have found in our 15+years of staying with BW in all parts of the country. It is convenient to both Mt. Ranier N.P. and the south Puget Sound. A large Safeway and numerous restaurants are nearby. EZ access to I-5 at Exit 111.
smaller chains don't get the recognition they deserve, this one is tip top! the staff here day or night was awesome!!!! I intentionally didn't bring tooth paste and a razor. and they had that for me. breakfast was good, I filled up my thermistor with coffee so that I would have some during the morning
Our house caught fire. I knew we'd be in a hotel for a month so I chose the Best Western because of their rewards program. The General Manager, Randy was very helpful. The staff, especially Danielle, Sue and Greg were extremely friendly. It was very clean! And the cleaning staff was very kind as well. The breakfast is all you want. Real fruits and proteins included. Kids loved it! It's walking to distance to Costco, Home depot and many restaurants. (Some which will give you a discount if you show them your hotel key card) I couldn't be happier with this place. There's no comparison. Many Seattle hotels are twice as expensive and half as nice. I highly recommend this hotel to you.
This hotel was very nice. My ONLY complaint was the shower. It didn't seem to have much pressure and it didn't get really really hot. Still giving the hotel five stars. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The two ladies working in there do not stop! They are constantly refilling everything as needed and go above and beyond. I wish they had a more kid friendly pool.
Friendly, clean, and well service hotel. Would recommend to anyone . Great internet for teenagers. Good free breakfast. Nice pool with hot tub.Staff very friendly and helpful. A quality family hotel near many family restaurants.
great place to sleep, and relax when visiting the family. breakfast is wonderful. further, the pool is great and is a great diversion for the grandchildren. the cost is very reasonable for what you get. the candy dish on the front counter is a hit.
Usually don't stay at Best Western but this hotel was recommended by a friend. Got the AAA rate. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We travel to Lacey quite often and this will be where we stay from now on.
We love to stay at the Lacy best Western plus hotel when we travel to Washington State. It feels like home. the rooms are so clean and nicely updated & the grounds are so pretty with beautiful flowers. We love the breakfast and the entire staff is outstanding.
The hotel is pretty new, so it's very clean and attractively decorated. Staff were very helpful. The pool was small but indoors, clean, and extra towels are provided poolside. Breakfast was great. Somewhat spendy, but I would stay here again.
This hotel has very friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast has lots of selections and a variety of fresh fruits. The all night clerk keeps coffee hot even at 2 am for us insomniacs and is quite articulate. The night clerk clerk (7 pm) makes sure clean catered food does not go to waste. The check in clerks are welcoming and friendly. No frowns in this hotel. The computers in the business center have fast internet.
THE HOTEL IS NEAR THE HIGHWAY AND EASY TO ACCESS. Lots of parking. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was excellent. The breakfast selection was very good and the waffles and sausage were excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.
I'm a bit of a hotel snob and after spending the night in a different hotel with half the quality and a price that was half again as much, I walked into the Best Western Plus in Lacey and it was like angels singing. This hotel has amenities on par with many 4-star hotels I have stayed in at twice or even three times the price. I will be coming back here on a regular basis.
This is my first time staying at the Best Western Plus and I have to say that I was not disappointed at all. I was very happy about my spacious room accommodations and having a microwave in the room was a plus. Although I had a short stay at this hotel, it was worth the money spent for comfort. Hands down my favorite thing about this hotel was the awesome breakfast. Breakfast was very tasty and wholeheartedly appreciated.
Nice place to stay at an affordable price. Location is close to several stores and shopping centers. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend or colleague. The casino next door has really awesome food. Please try it out during your stay.
My family members use this hotel as a home base when visiting parents and grandparents several times a year and have found it to be a great place to feel comfortable and welcomed by everybody that works on staff there.
I would definitely stay here again! Hotel very clean, staff was friendly. Continental Breakfast was great. Close to shopping and restaurants. No complaints, no issues. Overall a great hotel to stay in and it's pet friendly.
We are Best Western people and, due to the reviews on Trip Advisor, we drove right by the Olympia BW in order to stay at this one. And wow, were we glad! This hotel hits the top of the BW charts! Friendly and helpful staff, they are well-trained with their customer service. We rolled in a little early from a few days' camping, and they were kind enough to arrange a room for us as soon as it was available. We got in, unloaded a few things, and had a long, lovely afternoon nap in the quiet room. The hotel itself is newer, and the pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. We walked to a restaurant for dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed the large selection of breakfast food in the morning. The food was healthier than any we'd ever seen at a BW - they had lots of fresh fruit, and even had gluten-free bread for me when I requested it. So well done, and keep up the great work.
Great location if you want a casino and some shopping. The room was large, clean and comfortable w/ refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave. The a/c worked great. Breakfast offerings included omelette, potatoes, 2 types of sausage, mini donuts, cereal, yogurt and more.
This BW is by far, the most accommodating, clean, aesthetically pleasing and professionally staffed hotel EVER. I've visited many 5 star establishments, and this BW out did all of them. Sue was a special delight, ensuring I was taken care of in the most hospitable way. She went well above and beyond. Thank you, Sue!! The breakfast was awesome. Hot and plentiful. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Great job, BW Team!!
We stayed here last week, and Sue the lady on the desk that evening was probably the most genial and down to earth person I have come across in my 40 years of travel. She was friendly, personable, and made our stay just great! She upgraded us to a King Suite as we are Platinum members and a suite was available, and gave us information on where to go for dinner. She needs to be recognized for how she represents the Lacey Inn and Suites. Great job!
As a Diamond Select member, the BW brand is almost a second home. Over the last 2 years, my personal opinion is that the quality of BW lodging in relationship to the ridiculous price point that these middle tier properties have escalated to now requires checking all comparatives for other brands that are trying to be more competitive. This property in Lacey is the exception by far. The first impression upon checking in and then going to your room via the elevator and hallways is that you are in a Hilton style property. I would highly commend the owner and the maintenance staff in keeping it spotless. In most properties of the BW level, you look at the paint and carpet everyday on your way to and from where you are going and in most cases its dirty, dull, dinged and damaged, which somehow doesn't make you look forward to "going home" every time you return. When you can ride the elevator with one of the very personable staff and wash them wipe down the inside of the elevator door so that it is shiny and fingerprint free, you know that your best interests are being looked after because they actually care about the one chance that all of us get to make a good first imression. In my travels, I have found only two properties that are worthy of the so called "Plus", and this one should be the example that all others follow if they want to earn that designation instead of just paying for it. Hands down the best quality of breakfast items that neither look nor taste like the usual mass prepared whatever it is you think you might be eating that the other BW properties usually try leave out at the lowest possible price point cost to them. The owner appears to be Canadian according to the elevator permit. Maybe that is the entire difference. Regardless, the stay was well worth the value received and I woud enjoy knowing where the other properties are that are owned by this same hotelier who must be very proud to share the ability he has to provide this level of service and comfort as he invites others to share "his home".
We were in Lacy for a softball tournament and our team stayed at this hotel. It was hands-down the best experience we've had with a Best Western. The rooms were comfortable and roomy, the staff super friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. This hotel changed my opinion of Best Western and I would definitely stay here again. It was also a great bargain.
My wife and I stayed hear one night last weekend. We had been traveling all day and were ready for a good rest. Sue at the front desk was very busy juggling customers, but she did a great job keeping her cool and attending to every one in a timely, professional manner. She is a great person to have at the front of your house. The room was very clean and quiet. They offer free Wifi and Complementary breakfast. The bed was quite comfortable as well.
We where treated as a guest should be. All the hotels in the area where apparently full, the phone rang 5 times while checking us in, however the gal answered each time while helping me and was extremely polite to each person. We had stayed the prior weekend at different place and where treated as if we should of not been there. What a difference! Staying at the Best Western has given me faith with hotels once. again.. Must say and the cost was 50% less.
I've stayed in this hotel (the exact same room) 2 years in a row for 4 day stays. Last year was ok, this year was awful. After getting woken up at 7:30 by new hotel signs being pounded into the wall behind our headboard we got promised a rate discount on our "stay". This discount only got applied to 1 out of the 4 night stay. The pool room was so toxic smelling that our kids only got to swim one time and ended up not feeling well after. I also got yelled at for having the pool room door propped open to get some fresh air. Same boring breakfast all 4 days in a row. Fridge seal did not work well and did not get fixed while we were there. Express checkout email did not get sent correctly because they copied the email incorrectly from my BW account. When I called to ask about these things after getting home I was straight up called a liar and the manager would not talk to me directly. I do NOT recommend this hotel due to the amount of problems and several rude office employees that made my trip a bad memory.
This hotel was great. very clean and friendly staff. would stay again. We stayed here for 8 nights and felt very comfortable. the breakfast was good as was the price for our stay. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. we even had a view of Mt. Rainer. Highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent. Breakfast comprehension. Couldn't have been better. Good service. Lovely pool and hot tub. clean. Friendly staff, good facilities. Room clean, bed very comfortable. View of Mount Ranier from our window. Good parking facilities.
Clean, affordable, great pool and hot tub. Good breakfast, easy to find Loved my weekend there. Had a King Suite with sofa and partition to the bed. So classy. Comfortable as heck bed and nice furnishings in room. Restaurant/casino right next door. Great bloody Mary and French dip :)
Review bill at check in, ensure that you get what they said during reservations. Great breakfast, rooms are great too. Oh and the staff are very nice. no bah bah bah all business here, pool good, fitness room good, TV was messed up right after turning it on, it would work it out.
This is an amazing property. Clean. Friendly. Professional. Breakfast is great. All BWplus should offer this breakfast. Close to Walmart and interstate. Short drive to restaurants. Close to air force base.
I came on vacation to visit a friend and had a wonderful time. The Best Western in Lacey is such a nice hotel, with a very nice staff. While I only stayed 2 days, I had a great time. I plan on returning to Lacey and will stay here again.
On our recent vacation to Seattle and Glacier National Park, we stay at BW in Redding, CA, Spokane, WA, and Shelby, MT, and without reservation, we all agreed that BW Plus at Lacey had the best breakfast and room.
Friendly and helpful staff to us who are mobility limited. They deserve a S T A R ! Front Desk Manager helped with luggage; Breakfast Room Attendant helped carry food to table; Maintenance Person assisted with luggage to car. Wonderful people.
We were looking for a place to stay outside of Seattle and this worked out great. The check in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, the two ladies did a great job keeping everything in order and refilled. The fruit was great , oatmeal homemade , etc. I good variety of items. I would stay here again .
After traveling from the Port Angeles Ferry, it was very refreshing to find the BW+ in Lacey easy to find and very accommodating. I only wished that I'd brought my swim suit. There was an issue of some uncontrolled children there, but the front desk person took care of it as soon as we called.
I usually choose to stay at Hampton Inn but decided to try BW Plus for a better rate and was pleasantly surprised that we had a similarly pleasant experience for a much better rate!! All the amenities were comparable to Hampton Inns. Breakfast was great!!
Lacey trip 2017,checked out some prospective fixes for problems potential .Evaluated custom fabrications. Met with potential providers, Hotell located between the two. Travel between both was very easy.
We had a comfortable stay while attending our twin grandsons' graduation. The hotel and staff are the best! Clean with highly professional staff, well stocked breakfast offerings, fresh cookies at 5:00 PM and apples and mints available at the reception desk. Highly recommend this BW to everyone!
We stay at this hotel about once a month or more. It is convenient to our travels to Olympia and areas north, ie, Seattle, Enumclaw, Everett, and more. Good service, clean rooms, great staff...and the cookies in the evening are also good. The breakfast service is much better than most of the hotels anywhere. We will stay here again.
Overall, this is a very good hotel in a convenient location. It is 10 minutes to JBLM and just down the street from good restaurants and basic shopping. The staff is friendly and there are work tables in the lobby for late night work sessions. The pool and fitness room are standard fare. The pool is indoors.
New hotel and great rooms. Walk to restaurant and shops. Very well kept facilities, complimentary breakfast. Staff is very professional. Easy on off freeway. Located next to freeway but no noise in the room.
The hotel is clean and well maintained. The breakfast is a great benefit. If you are unaccustomed to community type soap and shampoo dispensers, bring your own. Their soap and shampoo is dispensed from hanging dispensers in the shower, so you do not get individual containers / bars on a daily basis.
We booked this hotel based on its proximity to food and the Courses at Hawks Prairie. Extremely pleased on both counts. Hotel room was very large, clean and the breakfast excellent. We did not get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but those looked nice as well.
Family 2 room king bed was perfect for me and my granddaughters had separate room. Hot cookies when we got there.. Apples and coffee breakfast was more then better then any other hotel I have stayed at. Keep up the good Job will be back..Love the Pool and Hot tub.
The hotel was clean and quiet. The free breakfast was far more extensive than in most other places, and the staff was friendly and attentive. A great value for those visiting the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area.
I Stayed at this hotel last month and I have to say that it was very a pleasurable stay over. Greg the gentleman at the front desk was amazing. The check in process was very prompt and well done. He was very welcoming and had lots of smile which was very nice to encounter. The hotel is beautiful and clean and the breakfast is superb. Lots of selection and open. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The service I received when I arrived is something I definitely want to experience again. It is beyond greatness and perfect.
We've made it a habit to stay here on our trips to see the family. Very nice hotel, large clean rooms, and comfy beds. The kids love the pool, and we all really enjoy the location's many options for shopping and food.
Great place to stay. Clean rooms, quiet and well serviced. Breakfast is hearty and varied selections. Newspaper at counter in the morning and cookies and coffee at night. Excellent service staff. I stay there once a month for business and would not stay anywhere else in the Lacey are.
This is not the most plush elegant hotel I have stayed at, but, the customer service here is great, the hotel is comfortable and I appreciate the hospitality that I have been treated to when I have stayed.
Best Western has stepped up their game in the Hotel business. Very comfortable and pleasant stay and all staff was very caring and professional at all times. It was nice to see a familiar person at the Hotel that was at the front desk thank you
Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good with a nice selection, the staff kept everything clean and stocked up. The biscuits could use an upgrade but they were decent. Over all my stay was very pleasant.
Staff is nice and friendly and rooms seem clean but wasn't not impressed by the "pillow top" queen bed for $145. It was firm and worn. I stay at BW Bellingham often and they have the REAL pillow tops! Internet was comparable to dial up! 3-5 Mbps ! No Krueger coffee either. Which is almost standard in all BW pluses. Also a big shoutout to the GM, I mean "cha" (certified hotel administrator). Your cut and paste email was appreciated.
We stay at Best Westerns almost exclusively. This is one of the nicest ones there is. The breakfast buffet is terrific. We were surprised to come back after our dinner to fresh baked cookies from the staff. It's a great place to stay.
Staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. They were polite to the athletes where many hotels are not. The staff were engaging with the guests and treated everyone with respect no matter the ages. Very clean and updated. Great experience.
If you're looking for quality, this is the hotel to stay at. The staff is amazing, the hotel is clean. The breakfast is incredible. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. A big thank you to Sue at the front counter for making this stay incredible!! Hotels need more people like you!!
Got in late received Quick Service night manager was very helpful couldn't say enough about this hotel everything look new quiet nights rest would definitely stay here again.... check out was easy breakfast was great
This place was truly fantastic! The room was beautiful and comfortable. The hot tub and pool were so relaxing. The breakfast was better than most restaurants -fruit, eggs, meat, tons of assorted pastries and hot oatmeal! I felt like a rock star after a great night sleep and a delicious breakfast. Can not recommend this place enough. And don't waste your time driving around for a restaurant for dinner, just walk to the casino. Believe me, we drove around for 2 hours to find a sit down restaurant and failed.
We decided to try a new location on the way home from our winter home so chose the Lacey Inn and Suites. Price is a consideration to us particularly due to high CND/US dollar exchange and this hotel seemed like a luxury hotel at value pricing. We found this to be true. Although close to I-5 it was very quiet and the rooms were very large, well appointed, and very comfortable. The bed reminded us home and that is important to us. The front desk staff (Sue) for our check-in was exceptional and noted in our Best Western account that our profile required attention and did this for us. The fresh cookies in the lobby are also a nice touch. The breakfast was very well done and again very attentive staff who added to the comfort of our stay. There is a gaming room next door with a lounge and restaurant where we ate our evening meal and a second restaurant across the parking lot so although the hotel does not have its own restaurant there are two to chose from steps away. Check-out was a breeze and again very friendly service. We have recommended this to numerous friends and will continue it do so.
We stayed only one night but it was very convenient, clean and helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious and there were many options. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
This was our first time at this Best Western. It appeared new, it was very clean inside and out. Very easy access off of the freeway. Nice location. The staff was great, as was the room. We did not have reservation and took a chance stopping by for availability. We got a King Bed for only $112.00. Well worth the stop if traveling along I-5 and you need to stop near Lacey or Olympia.
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly. The room was very clean. Breakfast was very good. There were a variety of food which included biscuits and gravy, potatoes omelets, a variety of cold cereal, fresh fruit and oatmeal.
The first night of our stay, there was a storm with gusts of wind and there must have been a loose screen on the window because there was a rattling noise coming from outside the window. When I told the front desk clerk the next morning, she gave us the option of having the repairman come up to see what the problem was or to switch rooms. We opted to switch rooms and the next room was fine, even with the continuing storm outside.
Staffs are well trained, very clean, spacious and comfortable room. Very delicous hot breakfast. Nice location and pretty gardening. The location was in the business plaza, we were worried about noisy but it was so quiet. Enjoyed staying.
Walked in, stood at the counter... Minutes passed... Finally she looks up and when I ask for a room she says there are plenty but won't check me in. Come back later. Terrible service. I mean seriously... You won't at least check me in? That way I can have the knowledge that a room is waiting?
The Lacey Inn is located convenient to the freeway and all points of interest and shopping. The staff is very helpful and friendly, rooms spacious, clean and beautiful. Did I mention quiet too. Good place to stay!!
Very helpful and courteous staff, clean and spacious room, well kept breakfast area and lots of fresh fruit were served. Costco is not far from this property( a cross the parking lot) and easy access to freeway
staff very friendly and accommodating . room was clean free continental breakfast breakfast area was well kept and the offerings plentiful. the room were air-conditioned and updated. the front desk as well as breakfast attendant were courteous and welcoming.
This location is spacious and comfortable. It is convenient to the Interstate and a wide selection of local businesses. Local choices include Home Depot, major gas stations and chain groceries. The reservation and check-out functions were very easy.
The motel was comfortable, the breakfast was outstanding, staff was very friendly. nice and clean. Cookies at the front desk were very good. The location is perfect. lots of restaurants and shopping very close. This is a great place to stay.
This is my 6th stay at this location this year. I always look forward to seeing the staff. Even though this location is right off the freeway, it is always quite. I will continue to stay here when in this region.
Stayed here for a business trip and the hotel was close to company headquarters. Really a very pleasant and quiet place to stay. Zero road noise from the nearby interstate and a solid breakfast served every morning. Staff was very competent. Close to restaurants and a casino with easy freeway access. I would recommend this place to anybody! Enjoy.
Everything was great, room was super clean and comfortable. They had a sink/mirror area outside the main bathroom, which is so much more convenient than having to share the one in the main bath. We never use the breakfast at BW, as we're not early risers, but understand it's really good.
This hotel is a great find. From the time you walk in the door untill you leave your know they care about your stay. Be ready for a wonderfull breakfast with the the details all covered. They fruit is prepaired and not just set out in a bowl to pick from. All the items are fresh and Hot. Put this hotel at the top of the list when your near Lacey WA. You will not be disapointed.
This place sets the standard for breakfast! Fresh fruit and fresh meats. The set up was outstanding. Will stay here again! Convenient to Ft. Lewis, Lacey, of Course, and Olympia. Convenient to shopping and eateries. One of the better BW's I have stayed at.
This hotel has become our "go to" hotel in the area. We try to use Best Western hotels up and down the west coast. Clean and comfortable. Good staff and pleasant accommodations. I am adding words to meet the assignment. It seems unnecessary for me to add up to 200 words, but this system requires it. Silly!!! Word - Word - Word.
Stopped here as a halfway point on our way to the Oregon coast. The rooms are very spacious and in " like New " condition , and very clean. The room we had had a sitting area that was like a little living room, so you don't have to lie on the beds to watch TV. Also you can walk across the parking lot to a Casino and restaurant. Breakfast that's included with your stay is among the best I've had , lot's of fresh fruits , and really good sausages. Unlike some other Hotels in this town , I did not here any freeway noise . Pool was a little small , but clean.
I stayed here while preparing for a job interview and found it to be a very nice experience. Being that I was under some pressure and anxious, having the staff treat me with a smile and friendly conversation made all the difference in the world. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, wifi worked well, and the full breakfast in the morning filled me up. I really liked the free use of the computers in the business center too which helped me prepare me for my job interview as well. I am definitely planning to come back when I make my move. Thank you to the friendly staff, especially the tall young man (part korean, hawaiian, and something else I couldn't remember). He was very sociable and gave me a short pep talk on my interview as well. I hope you can figure out who he is from my not so helpful description and recognize him for his hospitality -- maybe on my stay within the next few weeks, I'll find out what his name is and be sure to let management know.
This is an excellent hotel. Very clean, quiet, great breakfast, great service, affordable, all the employees were friendly. THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION. This hotel should be teaching other hotels "How to Run a Hotel". Everything was top notch, I mean everything.
The Best Western Lacey is a newer hotel with larger than normal rooms for a chain hotel. The hallways are wider so you can get luggage down them without hitting the walls. Breakfast gets 5 stars for the fresh fruit, omelets and paninni maker. This hotel is very quiet with easy access to the highway. There is even a Costco right across the street with gas available for a lot less than the other stations down the road. I have paid a lot more and gotten a lot less. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely stay here.
Wow! When we arrived to spend three nights here in Lacey, WA at the Best Western, we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, the people working at the hotel were friendly, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast area was clean and the food was nicely prepared. This hotel is run like a tight ship. From the hotel manager to the people cleaning our room, they were very helpful. This experience was excellent! Best Western will be at the top of our hotel list in the future. Great job!
I would stay again. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Everything was fresh and presented nicely. Good coffee and the staff outstanding. Décor slightly dated but everything was clean and nice. Surprisingly quiet for being in a busy area. Front desk was helpful, friendly and got my wake-up call right.
Stayed one night to attend a local wedding reception and found this hotel to be very comfortable. Extremely quiet rooms and did not hear anything at night, even though our room faced the parking lot. The complimentary breakfast was very good.
Came her for work travel. We do a lot of field work and a good breakfast and good night sleep are really important to me and my coworkers. This place was perfect! The rooms are very clean and quiet. The continental breakfast is the best I've ever seen! They have your typical pastries and waffle mix to make your own waffle, coffee juice etc. But, hey ado have a variety of toppings for your waffle, two kinds of fruit compote, whipped cream, and nuts, as well as syrups. The fresh fruit was really good. Pre peeled and perfectly displayed oranges, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, kiwi, bananas, and while apples. The big hit with the group was the pre made omelets and breakfast burritos! Okay, they weren't as good as a fresh one off your own skillet but they were pretty darn good! The breakfast staff were working hard all morning to make sure the food was coming out fresh and/or hot. The front desk staff were extremely nice and helpful, knew what they were doing and were a pleasure at any hour. In summary, my entire crew has agreed if we have work anywhere near this area this is where we want to stay!
We stayed at a number of Best Westerns in the Seattle and this one was the best of all. Enjoyed both nights there! Beautiful and immaculately clean. Stay was very friendly and also very professional. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
I really like this hotel. The rooms are set up well with a big bathroom. It is clean with a great breakfast. Nice beds. Everything you want as a business traveler. I would recommend it for a night and for extended stay.
Very upscale hotel always clean & quiet for a great nights sleep nice comfy mattress with nicer than normal linens, granite counter tops and shower enclosure. The second countertop and sink which is also granite works great for two people or more. The sofa and chairs and TV are very nice and have a divider to keep out the noise is someone is sleeping, The breakfasts are also better than usual and the attendants are extra nice. We love this Hotel and hope it never changes!
Absolutely every single start-your-day-out-right breakfast item was offered in a clean spacious cafe area. Delicious coffee too!!! Abundant fresh fruits including sweet delicious Kiwi made my day. Every dish was replenished before it was empty. Seriously, Best Western Plus Lacey's breakfast is worth the price of admission!! My guest room was spacious and impeccable, as were the lobby and property grounds. As an older woman traveling with her service dog, I felt 100% safe and welcomed at BW Plus Lacey Inn & Suites. Thank you for a restful and rejuvenating evening and morning for a weary traveler. KUDOS!
Next to all kinds of shopping. If someone needed to get away for a night or two just an hour or so away from home this is the place! The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had at a motel. The persons that made it did a wonderful job.
We are looking to relocate and the hotel was very convenient. The restaurant next door had good food and good service . The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. Will stay here again.
After a busy day of work, the Best Western in Lacey is a great place to spend the night. The mattress firmness is just right--and the queen bed comes with four pillows of varying softness. Best thing about the stay is the breakfast that opens each morning on 6 am. Huge selection of foods including omelettes, variety of breakfast meats, made-to-order waffles, oatmeal, huge selection of fresh fruits, coffee with different creamers, juices, pastries. An awesome spread. The food items are continually replenished during breakfast hours. Friendly staff and plenty of tables. And the daily newspaper to peruse while enjoying breakfast!
Over the three days I spent at this Hotel, all was excellent but the WiFi, an unacceptable problem in the year 2016. Within the first hour of arriving in my room I had a virus on my computer. at check-out, guests waited in a long line because the main desk computers were "malfunctioning".
I was traveling alone and I was very particular about where I would stay since I have never been to this city before. I had checked out several other lower priced places, but the reviews were so bad. The hotel is clean and the furnishings are updated, but it looks pretty new. They have computers off the lobby. Breakfast was included, indeed a plus and quite the variety. This place is right in the middle of everything you need, not to mention the small Hawks Prairie Casino right next door. Many restaurants very close by....Chinese Buffet, sushi, Vietnamese, Mexican. Costco, Home Depot and Walmart Super Store, Safeway all very close by. The city of Olympia is about a 10 minute drive and they have a wonderful farmer's market with free parking. I left my phone charger in my room and they mailed it back to me.
This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our 8 day vacation in the NW. The rate was reasonable, breakfast was great, it was easy to find and the rooms were very nice. We loved this hotel and next time we are in the area we will book it again.
It's a pleasure to write a review of the Best Western Plus Lacey Inn & Suites. My wife and I stayed there recently with our grandson after attending an opera in Seattle. (We'd driven to Seattle from our home in Portland for an evening performance.) We had originally intended to spend the night after the performance in the Seattle area, but we changed our plans after checking the prices at a few hotels in Seattle and nearby communities. In other words, we decided it was worth driving 40 miles or so toward home after the opera to avoid what we thought were pretty high hotel/motel prices in Seattle, Tacoma, etc. This turned out to be a particularly good decision, as it resulted in a very nice stay at the Best Western Plus Lacey Inn & Suites. We were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff there when we stopped by the motel around 2 PM on our way to Seattle. We were allowed to check in at this rather early time, making it possible for us to put our bags in our room, change our clothes in the room, and proceed to Seattle. Thus, when we got back to the motel (around 11:30 PM), we were able to just go to our room and get to sleep. Our room was clean and pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and everything in the room worked well. The hotel was, in fact, clean and pleasant throughout, and the breakfast was particularly good. (The two women who were running the breakfast room the morning we were there seemed to be constantly cutting up fresh fruit and replenishing the supply in the customer area. I send them special thanks for the great watermelon they provided.)
My wife and I stayed here for 1 night, wish it was 4. Very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were kind and friendly. Breakfast room was even better. Many items to choose from. Pool was also great. We will come to stay again. Happy guest!!
The bed was fine but the pull-out sofa/bed was not, hard bars on the end. The breakfast was very good. The biscuits and gravy were fine and there was lots of fruit. There were shower gels, shampoos and conditioners mounted inside the shower but they needed a LOT of pumping to get a handful. I used the computer in the media room off the lobby and the speed was ok.
This was our first time in Lacey but now that we have family there we will be back a lot. We will stay here again. It was very comfortable, well maintained, good service, a particularly good breakfast and a good location. It was also pet friendly which is important to us.
This Best Western Plus has the level of amenities that you would expect from that level of hotel. As usual, the room, general facilities, breakfast, service, etc. were all very good. The Internet left a bit to be desired. It was OK for email and general browsing, but was not quick enough to play anything other than a very short streaming video. So, if that's important to you, I would choose another hotel. Otherwise, it's great.
Whenever we are visiting the South Puget Sound area we always stay at this property. You can always count on friendly and efficient staff. The place is always spotless. The breakfast is way above average. While it is close to I-5, the place is quiet; you will get a good night's sleep.
We stayed in Lacey to make an airport hook up the next day. The room was comfortable. Nice fitted sheets, restful mattress. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Good location near Cabela's. Should have stayed closer to seatac. The drive through Tacoma is LA at its worst, and Tacoma is bad 24/7.
We travel with a dog. Room was clean, easy access to outdoors for the dog. Breakfast was way above average. Staff were very nice. Beds were comfortable and I really like the bed linens. Close to everything, including Costco, the cheapest gas in town.
Thoughtful and helpful staff. Very clean and excellent decor. Extra facilities such as gym and pool if you wish to use them are available. Internet service excellent. Breakfast included is a bonus and healthy options excellent. Good location for a stop over on way to Seattle.
Clean, friendly, and comfortable with a great location. Rooms are certainly above average. I stay at this hotel whenever I'm doing business within 10 miles. It is worth the extra few miles to stay at this Best Western as compared to other Hotels in the area. I'm a regular satisfied guest.
Service was great. Although I am not typically a cookie eater, during this visit at Best Western offered and provided fruit (cut Water melon and peeled oranges - which sat in their display case for quite a few hours) ;rather than cookies during the evening hours. This is all fine and of the best intention, however not necessarily received well by all - Not to mention a few errant water melon rinds scattered within the vastness of the parking lot. When I asked about it, I was told its the management's idea of healthy lifestyles. (Not when it sets out for four plus hours - My opinion) All-in-all the visit was great. Thanks
Was very clean, gave a good discount and the staff was pleasant. The breakfast was better than most "included" breakfasts we had on this trip that was very refreshing. Had a somewhat small dog area but there are plenty of other places to take them.
We were very happy with this place. Lobby of this hotel was bright, clean, big and inviting. Front desk people very pleasant and helpful. Hotel and our room smelled fresh and were tastefully decorated. Rooms stocked up with coffee and variety of tea bags. Bathroom very clean with extra towels and wall dispenser for soap, shampoo and hair conditioner . Our room was spacious and clean.Carpet looked clean and smelled fresh. Decent size breakfast room was bright, clean and organized. Plenty of different variety of food and fruit ,and pleasant atmosphere. Gym had good range of exercise machines and good air conditioning! Good location in vicinity of stores and restaurants next to major roads. If we travel that way again we would stay in this hotel would be more than happy to recommend BW Plus Lacey Inn to our family and friends.
This is a great hotel. Comfortable, very clean, friendly staff, and a very good free breakfast. The room was very spacious, clean, and well laid out. Linens were very nice, and the towels were actually soft (unusual at most hotels). I will definitely stay there again when in the area.
Stayed last nite (07/20/16). Friendly staff, I should've caught her name as helpful as she was. It's super clean and HAD THE BEST BREAKFAST we had in a "free" style breakfast. They has my extra request ready in under a hour of booking. I don't generally give 5 stars , but thus was best price and great stay.
Best Western is always my first choice for hotels, but this one surpassed all that I had spent time in. It was exceptionally clean, the room was outstanding, and the staff were very professional. Best Western in my opinion is one of the fines chains going.
I had to stay 3 nights for a business trip. From the moment I checked in until the time I checked out it was a wonderful stay. Clean, easy to locate and close to restaurants and shopping, friendly staff and well appointed rooms. Had a free hot breakfast that was good as well. Will definitely stay again for business and pleasure.
The week prior my group had stayed at another (competitors) hotel that is right across the street from this location. We were scheduled to stay there again but due to poor service and filthy rooms we switched to the Best Western Plus. We were so happy with the service and condition of the hotel. Everything was clean and the staff all had smiles. Employees made things enjoyable for our two night stay. They went above and beyond expectations. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Hotel staff, especially Sue was wonderful! The inside of the hotel including out room was clean, very roomy. In the morning due to the huge parking lot that is linked to several other business, it may be noisy. Ask for a room away from the front, but it is well worth staying here. I will be coming back
We stop here on our way to visit with family. We know the hotel will provide a safe. comfortable, enjoyable stop for our Family. and t uisit Met oor expectations J friend's staff, and a great pool, has made this hotel a recurring stop stop for us.
We have stayed here before and the location is great with places to eat nearby, Costco right next door. It was my Mothers 100th birthday so other family members stayed here as well. Hawks Prairie is a nice place for dinner as well and right across the parking lot. Might just need to upgrade some of your beds, our last stay in February the bed seemed more comfortable.
We have come many times to this hotel and have received excellent service and value. I was expecting "more of the same" this time around. Well, the overall breakfast offered was excellent as always. The overall appearance of the hotel (very well maintained0 and the condition of the room were as to be expected. We normally get a room booked on an odd number room on the 4th Floor away from the elevator and stairway, but not this time around. That is where everything went sour for us. We ended up in Room 327 and we discovered how the king sized mattress sagged in the middle. We tried to sleep in it for two out of the three nights were booked in the hotel, but for the third night (after my wife did not sleep well the second night and woke up sore in the morning) we requested a room change. Well, we were given Room 205. The actual mattress was excellent, but we discovered that the room's location posed a problem. It was located over the exhaust fan of the swimming pool which was directly below the room. There was a constant vibration and persistent hum (which could be masked/covered over if you constantly ran the heater or air conditioner). Well this constant vibration and hum really bothered me since we did turned off the heater and air conditioner at night. Now I attempted to fall asleep given this challenge, but was unsuccessful. At 11:45pm, I had enough and asked the night attendant if this fan could be shut off. This never happened, so later I ended up sleeping in my truck(which was a whole lot quieter). When we did check out, we mentioned it, but all we received from the front desk person was a brief apology. Now understand that my wife and I are loyal to the Best Western brand. We also previously thought this BW Plus hotel in Lacey was the best one we had ever stayed at. Now we don't know about that assessment. If we stay here again, we will only stay if we get that 4th Floor odd number location. I actually feel horrible writing this review, since I am not a complainer. But I do want to inform my fellow travelers about our most recent experience.
Second time we've come to Lacey for time away, husband loves the pool. We found it close to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast is by far the best we've had for any hotel! Easy off the highway, Exit 111 - easy to remember. Can be seen from the highway. We arrived early in the morning after dropping family off at the airport, and hotel let us check-in, this was wonderful as we had been driving since 2 am in the morning and had 4 hrs to 3 pm check-in time. By 9:00 am we where in our room and down for a nap. Husband spent over hr in the pool swimming. Next day check-out was a breeze!
I basically pick this hotel for the price, but will return due to Sue and the rest of the staff who made my stay better than-expected. The room was clean the breakfast was hot and awesome Wi-Fi worked great this place was just incredible. I've stayed a lot of Best Western around the country and this is one of my favorites.
The room was large, comfortable and well designed. The breakfast was great, with eggs, potatoes, a lot of fruit, decent coffee, yogurt, etc. The lady at the reception, Sue, was extremely nice, and welcomed us with a smile. I recommend this hotel.
Easy to find. Outstanding breakfast. Staff very cordial and helpful. Excellent business surroundings in area. Appreciated non-smoking environment. Parking excellent. Area seemed safe and no concern. Recommend to anyone at any time -- wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in this area.
This is a friendly, courteous, clean, comfortable hotel with a terrific breakfast. A 5-star family hotel that is also in a convenient location. We appreciated being able to open a window for fresh air. The king room is really comfortable and convenient with sitting area. Wifi worked smoothly. Looking forward to returning.
Jenefer was amazing! When I called from the road to confirm early check in, I realized I was REALLY early...a whole day early! Luckily, Jenefer was able to adjust my reservation and accommodate my early arrival. She even split the bill so I can pay a portion using a corporate credit card. Excellent customer service and a great way to start an extended stay. Hotel property is very nice; feels like a business destination rather than a location that likely draws many families. Full complimentary hot breakfast, nice business center, onsite laundry machines, and an indoor pool with gym. Looking forward to a comfortable week.
We could not have been more pleased with our experience at this hotel. Staff was excellent and very on top of things. For a hotel breakfast this was by far the best hotel breakfast that we have had. Room was great!
Professional staff, clean rooms, and a great breakfast at a fair price. This was our first visit to Washington and first impressions are important and lasting. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted and immediately felt welcome to the hotel. Each morning we came to breakfast after a comfortable night's sleep and were cheerfully greeted by the front desk personnel. The kitchen crew was wonderful and ensured all foods, fruit, and drinks were continuously stocked even during the busiest periods. We truly enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Lacey Inn & Suites, Lacey WA.
We have spent a number of nights at this motel. It is always very clean, breakfast above average, friendly staff. When we checked out we mentioned how heavy the bed covers were. We were told we should have requested a lighter cover, as we were not the only ones to talk about this one problem. Great for cold weather. Not so good during the summer months. Won't keep us from staying there in the future.
This hotel is easy to find, clean, good breakfast and fast internet. The staff were all very friendly. They helped us with a group rate for our baseball team a few weeks before arrival. The pool area is nice. No complaints, good value.
Very Clean and Quiet, they have a quality breakfast with many options, great for a business stay, friendly staff that always greeted me when walking in and leaving for the day, the price was very reasonable for the accommodations provided. I will stay at this hotel when I return to the area.
Pros-Nice price, great breakfast, nice clean rooms, great service, good firm beds. Cons- Pillows were way too small and limp. Overall I would highly recommend this stop along I-5 about one hour short of Seattle.
The hotel and staff are quite nice and accommodating. The problem is the sewer gas smell. I had to open the window, close the bathroom door, and turn on the fan to keep the smell down. Staff says it's the fourth floor.... But I can't imagine that only one floor is included. If your stay here book floor one.
The hotel was very nice, and they had knowledgeable friendly staff. Breakfast was typical, but did have a large variety. This would have been a nice stay for the exception of 2 things. Upon our arrival, there was a loud group of people at the entrance that were smoking and it was hard to get through them to get into the building. But the main part that I was disappointed with was the room size. We had a 2 queen room, and it was so small that it was hard walking between the bed and the furniture, and there was basically no place for our luggage. We only stayed one night, but if we had to have stayed more, it would have been too cramped for the 3 of us. The room was simply way too small.
This hotel is centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, a casino and fast food. The staff is friendly and rooms are “business class” quality. The free breakfast was about what you'd expect at any hotel but the food was fresh and well stocked. The lobby was a nicely decorated, comfortable space. HOWEVER, this facility has a problem with their plumbing that releases the stench of sewage into the rooms. This was my second stay here in as many months. The staff was well aware of the sewage smell problem. They reported this issue has been ongoing for quite some time, and despite their efforts the cause could not be found. I can't believe the health department hasn't closed this place. THIS PLACE REALLY STINKS!! No exaggeration, 3 of 4 floors are known to have this problem.
From the front desk, to our room and breakfast and check out the next day everything was perfect. No problems, or glitches, staff very helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of choices and very tasty. The local paper and snacks and drinks available at checkin was a nice touch. This place was a good example of Best Western hospitality.
This is one of the best hotel stays I have experienced in quite a while. The hotel staff was curteous and exceptionally acommodating to my every need. The room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast arrangement was on of the best have ever seen. Thankyou for a most enjoyable stay.
When travelling to see family, we've taken to stopping near our destination the night before to give the kids the opportunity to swim and unwind from the long trip instead of showing up cranky and tired from driving. It has really worked out for us. Our 'normal' hotel had a problem with their pool, so we chose to stay at this hotel - after verifying that the pool was in order. We were looking for something to stand in for us, but instead, we found our new spot to overnight - it is better and cheaper than our old spot. We enjoyed our time so much that we're going to make this our 'stopping point' in the future. It is close to anything you'd need - stores, food places - movie theater, etc. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The beds were above average and the Pillows were great. The TV was excellent, and there were a lot of channels to choose from. The water pressure in the shower was strong, and very warm, and there were enough sinks for the family to use without getting in the way of each other. The breakfast was great, and yes, the pool was great also! We enjoyed our stay quite a bit, and we're already looking forward to the next trip to visit family...
Great place to stay while traveling. One of the best breakfasts at a hotel, included in the price. Nice rooms. Good location to stay here while heading from east to west and back. Close to Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge for those interested in a great walk or birding opportunity.
My husband is a Platinum member of a competing hotel chain, but there isn't one close by to where we want to be. We chose this hotel a couple of years ago and have stayed here 4 times since then, and we've always been happy! The hotel is clean and updated and the staff has always been friendly. The hotel is right by the freeway but the noise doesn't seem to bother us, which is unusual. The breakfast is excellent, with plenty of gluten free options for those of us who need it. The price is also reasonable in our opinion. We will stay here whenever we're in the area and highly recommend it to others.
The staff is quick and efficient and always ready to help. They serve a great breakfast and always have plenty. This hotel is close to the freeway but you don't hear any of the noise. The rooms are clean and always restocked each day.
Hotel has very personable staff; rooms are clean; pool/exercise rooms are nice; lots of restaurants/shopping nearby; fairly close to train(which we travelled on this time)we liked the morning breakfast, too; nice pool/workout room; one of the best Red Robin's is nearby.
This hotel far exceeded the expectations we had. It was incredibly clean with a very friendly staff. Our family has a multitude of food issues and we were all able to find something on the very nice breakfast buffet each morning. The location was great too - close to everything we wanted to be near, including restaurants.
This place runs a hotel the only way they should be run, with absolute attention to detail. The staff is as professional as they are friendly and always available for anything. From breakfast in the morning to comfort at night sleeping we were always relaxed and feeling at home.
We stayed here for a sports tournament recently. Compared to the experience of families who stayed at nearby hotels, our stay was fine. The breakfast set up was better than usual at inexpensive breakfast-included hotels. The fitness facility is sim[ple but functional. the pool was clean and the rooms were spotless and comfortable.
The Lacey, WA Best Western is our "go to" place for our many visits to the area and on our trips to Seattle we plan to return to Lacey as part of our travel routine. We recommend this BW hotel to friends and family. Thank you for making our road trips more pleasant.
Comfortable- clean- easy location with lots of options to eat within walking distance. Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Best buy, Safeway all very close. Here for soccer and fields were very easy to get to. Complimentary breakfast was very well stocked and fresh. Will stay here again if we come to the same tournament again next year.
No surprises! Typical best Western Plus Quality. This property is clean, convenient, comfortable, etc. It has everything I need and more. The breakfast is pretty typical but a little better than usual.
This is our 3rd stay here. It is always clean, rooms smell good, Breakfast is amazing, Close to shopping and other food choices withing walking distance. Great quiet little area! Staff is always helpful and friendly.
The hotel looks new and is spotlessly clean, and the staff is wonderfully helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel was extremely quiet. There was a nice assortment of breakfast items. My only small complaint is the beds are firmer than my liking.
The staff at this hotel go out of their way to be helpful and friendly, especially Danielle, Jenefer and Reyna!! (Not sure I spelt the names right). It has never been our experience to have EVERYONE so friendly. Entire hotel is clean and inviting,...never a problem getting more pillows, towels etc. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is one of the best we have ever had in a hotel,...and well looked after, nothing ever ran out or was stale looking.
overall the hotel was good, however there was a sewage smell in the bathroom that we couldn't get rid off. The beds were comfortable and everything else was good. The wifi in the room was worthless. Breakfast had a lot of good choices and as long as you didn't choose the eggs, potatoes or meats then you were good to go. The food was warm, but hard. Like it had been in the warmer for an hour or more.
This Best Western is always clean and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. A great stop for business or travel. I stay here once a month for business and have always been treated well. Great breakfast too!
staff was always available, presentation of breakfast was beautiful and foods that I liked and different foods that my children liked. Room was quiet, my daughter slept on fold out couch and she thought it was quit comfortable.
This was the fifth time our club has used the Best Western Plus Lacey Inn & Suites facilities. The management is second to none in the way guests are treated and the facilities are maintained. We spent two nights for our day long exhibit in the hotel's conference room. The staff is okay with us inviting the public to see our displays. The rooms were very clean as usual. The WiFi worked excellent, even on the fourth floor end where my room was located. The conference room was also clean and ready for our use. The outside grounds and landscaping are well kept. Friends that used it said the pool was also nice. After a survey sent to me by the hotel was filled out, I received an email from the manager thanking me for my feedback and reported that the results of all surveys, both positive and negative, were reviewed and shared by all employees at their staff meetings. The complimentary breakfast is very good with a variety of items available from fresh fruit to biscuits & gravy! If you are going to be staying in the Lacey/Olympia WA. area, this is the place to stay!
I have written previous reviews of this hotel, and this one will be no different. The consistency of the quality of this hotel can not be overstated. When we stay at this Best Western Hotel, both my wife and I do feel we are "at home". It is not surprising when we see so many other people staying at this hotel. They know what we have known for a long time.
This is a newer Bestwestern and it shows. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and everything worked very well. Fresh fruit at all hours . Restaurants close by with decent choices.
This hotel has exceeded my expectation and I would stay there any time i'm in the Olympia Wa area. I really had a great stay and the staff was very helpful in making recommendations for food and things to do in the area.
Very few hotels have ever made such a positive impression. Everything from the check in to check out process were smooth and enjoyable. Of particular note are the great staff who truly made me feel like their personal guest.
We spent one night here as the last leg of a long road trip. The hotel is located near lots of restaurants, a casino and shopping centre. The staff at reception was friendly and efficient. The hotel appears new and the lobby has a sleek, modern feel. Our queen room was nicely decorated, had a small fridge and microwave, nice bathroom, new tv, as well as a loveseat, and the whole place was nice and clean. The included breakfast had many tasty options and was better than most at similar hotels. I guess that's the "Plus" in the hotel name, as everything was slightly more upscale than regular Best Western hotels.
The Best Western in Lacey Washington is one of the best for business or leisure. The employees are professional, kind, courteous and hardworking. The breakfast is excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are extremely helpful. The price per night is reasonable.
Highly recommend this hotel. Stayed for 5 nights on work trip. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. TV had great picture and good size for the room. Wi Fi worked well. I liked the high ceilings in the room/bathroom. Rooms very quiet. Enjoyed the breakfast every day. Staff was friendly and all food items were always available. Staff never allowed any food item to be depleted before restocking. Also enjoyed the exercise room on two occasions. A/C, air purifier, TV, towels, drinking fountain, and adequate equipment available for most workouts.
I travel a lot all over the U.S. and this was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, comfortable and well lit, the breakfast had a wide selection and the kitchen staff was very nice. I will stay there any time I am in the area. Best thing - clean rooms!!!!! Yeah!!!!
A great hotel, staff wonderful will go out of their way to help you. Rooms are great very clean course it would be nice if the cleaning staff spoke English but they did a great job of cleaning. The beds were a little hard for me but I am used to sleeping on Memory foam, same with the pillows but was able to sleep ok. Would recommend it to all
Hotel itself was wonderful, very very clean and well-maintained. The free breakfast was one of the best; everything you could ask for including fresh fruit and amazing egg wraps. Only issue we had during our stay was the poor safety condition of the pack and play cribs that were offered. The first provided had 3 holes in the mesh large enough for a child's head. (Total safety strangle hazard). Front desk provided a second one that was slightly better (with smaller torn holes in mesh). There was also a strange non-standard extra mesh liner left for us that did not fasten securely to either crib. (Simple snug fitting crib sheets would be better). I stressed to her that both need to be thrown out and replaced. My guess is that perhaps management wasn't aware of the poor condition of them as the rest of the property was so very well maintained so I'm sure it will be corrected. You can see pride and attention to detail in upkeep and care everywhere else; spotless rooms, pool, lobby, great food etc.
I stayed here for business, super friendly staff, great room, clean comfortable and lovely. I will recommend this hotel and stay here the next time I come for business or pleasure. The entire experience was great.
I stay here often. In my opinion it is one of the best hotels in the Olympia area. The breakfast is also one of the best I have experienced at a hotel. On my last stay there were apple slices wrapped in bacon, great cinnamon rolls and oranges that are peeled and cut into quarters for you.
The purpose of my stay was to take my grandchildren swimming. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The children enjoyed the breakfast immensely. The pool was clean and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Last minute stay at this new hotel. Right off the I-5 freeway, in the "Hawks Prarie" area of Lacey. Situated behind a casino (CARDS only, no machines), Costco across the street. Also within walking distant is a Panda Express, Cold Stone Creamery, plus MANY more! Also near WalMart if you need it. Cabella's is located across the freeway within 5 minutes of hotel. The breakfast is the nicest I have ever seen. The wonderful attendants keeps this looking FABULOUS!! Please LEAVE THEM A TIP too! They deserve it. Don't forget to Tip the hardworking housekeeping staff too!! They always deserve it!! Enjoy your stay!
This is one of the best employee and breakfast experiences you are going to get in the Lacey area. I have started to choose this over more opulent places if I am allowed to choose it for work. The staff are top-notch friendly and the breakfast is one of the best I've experienced.
We look forward to staying at this fine hotel every time. It is convenient for us for Seattle/Puget Sound travels to visit doctors, family and friends. We recommend it to our family and friends as a fine place to stay. S & S Scott
The staff at Best Western in Lacey are top notch. They are well trained, professional, and friendly. They go out of their way to ensure each individual request is met. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I have stayed at the BW in Lacey numerous times and I count on the consistency of knowing what to expect. they have never let me down.
This was the best breakfast we have ever had. The selection was varied and well presented. The pool area was well managed and staff was great. Location was convenient in and out , close to shopping and dining.
We were debating whether to stay at the Westin Seattle or Olympic Fairmount, two of our favorites, but friends suggested staying at the Lacey Best Western as we were going to Tacoma for the ACDC concert(our 3rd time seeing them at the Dome); anyway, this little hotel has everything; fitness, pool, close to all kinds of stores & restaurants; we ate a big meal(8 of us)at the Red Robin and had fantastic service & food; rode a local limo to the concert and came back and relaxed; it is very nice that they have both micro/fridge/& tv/coffee ,etc, in a separate area from the bed; plus I like the fan type of heat/cool because they work very efficient; the people here are fantastic along w/the breakfast...best we've had. Keep up the good work!!!
I love this hotel. While the location is some distance from the business I visit for work, I still go out of my way to stay here. Beautiful hotel with very comfortable beds. The staff is always very friendly and professional. The location is close to good restaurants too!
When we walked through the entrance we immediately received a warm and enthusiastic hello. Our room was top notch and staff very helpful. We had a room on the top floor which was very quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent with excellent fresh produce and wide selection. Check in and out were quick. Would definitely stay there again.
Great rooms, great breakfast, great staff!! We were a last minute check in due to road weather and road closures. We were able get the room we wanted and use our BW reward points. Would definitely stay again when we travel in that direction.
The hotel is in a great location, it is close to restaurants, many business and easy access to the freeway. The staff of the hotel do a wonderful job of making your stay comfortable and very enjoyable. This is a hotel I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone in their travels.
Quiet, clean, comfortable rooms with reliable internet service and speed. The breakfast is superb. I especially like the wide variety of fresh fruits. When you're in the Lacey, WA area, the Best Western PLUS is the place to stay!
Great experience. Great room: it was quiet, I like a full hair dryer (not the small flip type), I like quality toiletries, a high shower head, microwave and frig, reliable WiFi, and absorbent towels. The decor was great (both in my room, lobby and curb).
Stayed at this hotel when my brother in area was ill, needed to be near great service, clean and comfortable I would highly reccomend this property You will be pleased Handy to stores ...Costco etc and freeway Stayed at least a total of three weeks during period of July-January
The location is perfect for us, but the other reason we stay here is because EVERYONE is so friendly, the breakfast is the best we've had anywhere, and the hotel is so clean and nice. We are Platinum members with another hotel chain but this is where we stay when we are in the area. We highly recommend this hotel!!
Hotel was great! Area is beautiful, a lot of shops around. Family came down for years and had a great time at State Capital. Have stayed at Hotel before and will continue to stay whenever I have to work in area.
Other than what was already listed, our stay was great! I would like to add that little things attract us to stay at Best Western. From the way that housekeeping treated us to the service & selections at breakfast. These are meaningful since I don't take vacations very often. When I do I like to be treated as though I am important. A heart felt thank you.
I travel through 13 states for business and hands down their breakfast offerings is THE BEST! The hotel takes pride in their property and it shows by their professional staff and excellent accomodations!
We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Lacey, WA. We checked in with our 3 children ages 11, 9, and 7. The room was spacious, very clean, and seemed very new. The Pool and the Breakfast were our favorites. I did use the workout room twice while I was there and found it very clean and well equipped. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite room and the only negative thing I would say is that the one bathroom is a little small. Thank you Best Western for another lovely stay.
This was a wonderful place to make us forget how awful the day was. We had awful weather and road closures so a 1.5 hour trip took over 6 hours. The bed was terrific and the room was quiet. Roll-in shower was perfect.
I was driving through the area during a storm and opted to pull off before I made my destination. This BW was full but the staff called around, found a room elsewhere, and gave me directions. Excellent service!!!
Lacey Inn offers a great room, with lots of space and very comfortable beds. The facility is very clean and modern, and close to dining options, which the staff are very helpful with recommendations. The breakfast buffet is particularly outstanding, offering a wide selection of items including omelets, and a fresh fruit bar.
I've started staying here while visiting relatives in the Olympia area. It's clean, right off the freeway, next door to Costco and close to Cabelas. It's a much better choice than the places I had stayed near College St. Breakfast is included and it's complete and convenient although the quality wasn't the best. I've always received excellent treatment from all of the staff.
We had a wonderful week at the Best Western in Lacey. Each day they would have different breakfast foods which was great. The room was very comfortable, the only issue was the size of the pillows. I thought they were too small for a king size room. I asked about them, but that was all they had. We would still stay there should we return to this area again. Excellent service from the folks at the front desk.
WE stay here every time we come to Olympia. Great service, wonderful staff, very clean rooms, best breakfast we have found in our travels. Lots of stores around within walking distance. A ten minute drives to old town.
I was at the hotel lobby on my computer and the manager ejected me from the hotel. One of the desk clerks had decided to turn me over to the manager, customer satisfaction policy of the Hotel was not available for me. Beware.
See public record #4474611 at the recorders office in Thurston County. The owner employs one employee who has a unfounded, with out foundation, personal vendetta against me. The manager was lied to about my visit there and he couldn't be bothered to listen to my side of the story, so I was ejected from the premise and can no longer rent a room or have any friends rent there when they would like to visit me. Owner refused to supply me with any insurance information.
Breakfast buffet is excellent. Lots of choices including variety of fresh fruits. Location is convenient to Joint Base Lewis McChord. Beds are comfortable. Internet service works great. Lots of nearby restaurant choices. Staff is friendly and helpful.
This was close to everything we wanted to do in the Olympia area. The staff was friendly, and this was one of the cleanest/newest hotels I've been in recently. The room wasn't big, but it was well-equipped, clean, and nicely finished. Good breakfast and an indoor pool are priorities for us for family outings, and both were very good at this place. We'd definitely come back here for future Olympia outings.
I would always stay at this hotel. They have the best service and so far they have always accommodate my same day travels. Staff is great, cleanliness is awesome. Breakfast is good for on the go people. I love waffle option.
We typically do not stay at Best Westerns but they seemed predominate in this area of the country and offered the best rate. We stayed at Best Westerns 6 out of 7 days and this particular one was one of the best. The beds were comfortable but what stood out the most was the breakfast and its presentation. There was a vast array of fresh fruit (not frozen) and it was delicious. Watermelon, grapes, oranges, cantaloupe, honey dew, grapefruit, apple, etc. The oranges were a work of art and I inquired how they did them. It is too hard to describe but a beautiful presentation. The danish was not your typical free breakfast danish and they were delicious.
We love staying at this hotel. It's close to a casino, food and has a great pool/spa for the kids. We choose to have weekend fun nights here - it's close to outdoor activities that we enjoy and the town of Lacy is super cute.
This hotel is just off the freeway but is quiet and close to many amenities,eg. gas, restaurants, Costco. It is a short distance to St martin's College or to Olympia with easy access to the freeway. The rooms are large, the staff is friendly , wi-fi was available and the breakfast spread was remarkably good, esp. the fresh fruit options
Complimentary breakfast is lacking. Hot foods are not hot and Omelets rubbery. They did have fresh fruit. Lots of sweets. Queen bed in our room was very uncomfortable to the point of taking Aleve in middle of night.
Great hotel with easy access from IH 5. Only a few minutes from Nisqually National Wildlife Park. A beautiful walking park with boardwalks that will take you out to the tide basin. Location is also close to Olympia, WA and likely cheaper rates & better hotel than in capitol. Only spent one night here but breakfast and room were great with pillow top matress. .
If you're needing a place to crash this will do. If you want a nice experience keep looking! Rooms were clean and all and they did have a Continental breakfast... that's about it! It was easy to find and right off the freeway.
The hotel is much prettier and more upscale than I expected for the price. The breakfast was healthy and had a great variety of hot dishes. Rooms were well appointed with everything we needed, including comfy beds and a great shower! Super clean with a friendly staff.
Best Western's are generally consistent but this one was above average especially for the price. Staff is very pleasant. Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.
This is an outstanding example of a Best Western Plus, and we've stayed in several. Note they all have been very good but this is the best so far. Every single thing from the lobby to the corner of our bathroom looked perfect and worked smoothly. The additional sink outside the generous one in the bathroom was a hit with my wife. The bed was amazing. The sheets were soft and the comforter cozy. Then there's the breakfast. Besides the usual nicely scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries and cereals, there was a fruit bar. Pineapple, cataloupe, strawberries and bananas were all cut up and presented like in a wonderful deli. Tip: ask for a room overlooking the front of the hotel. It's quiet!
In general I'm not a fan of Best Western hotels but this property & management does break the old standard of BW and in fact for me an excellent business hotel. This site has 4 floors, the odd room #'s face an empty lot that will offer privacy & quietness. The even #'s rooms will face the mall parking lot & side of freeway which can be noisy. Happy with the suite I booked 401 with a private room and true King sized beds, plenty of sitting & table surface to do your work on. Solid free WiFi performance. The pool was large enough to swim in & the gym was a bit small & busy. The extra star given to this review was based on the breakfast team whom laid out a beautiful & creative flair to a breakfast buffet. Helpful front desk crew at all hours. If staying in the area I would recommend this hotel.
Pros: Best location of the hotels in town Super clean Friendly Staff big rooms Nice selection of HBO and TV shows but what's the use of a HD TV if shows are in SD format? Cons: Pillows were small and thin in the queen room. No exhaust fan in bathroom so mirror fogs up
Have been staying at this hotel intermittently over the last several years for business now for pleasure with dogs. The halls and rooms look brand new, the bed is comfortable, the staff is always friendly and breakfast is always a treat. This is truly a pet friendly hotel with treats and welcoming attitude by staff. There is, however, a $20/pet fee.
This hotel is newer than most in Lacey so it is my preferred hotel. The continental breakfast makes the stay offering a variety of hot and cold items that allows one to still eat healthy. The rooms are big and noise is not typically an issue.
