"Cinnamon Rolls"

Stayed 4 nights at the Best Western visiting relatives. Positive notes, quiet, great afternoon and evening staff, very helpful, outside and lobby attractive and a great breakfast buffet, you could smell the cinnamon rolls coming down the steps. Negative notes, The hotel for the price could use some updates. The room was large, somewhat updated - the beds were hard and creaked - felt that they needed to upgrade the sheets - they were yellow looking and the material had stubs, a sign of sheets washed too many times - not convenient to downtown, did not have a car - no restaurants, shops or services in the general area - bathroom was not cleaned one day - bathroom door had no hook to hang clothes and the door needed to be stained or painted. Close to a major highway, could hear traffic noise at night.

This has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Best Western has great hotels all over the US, but the staff, rooms, and overall experience at Wesley Inn and Suites was FANTASTIC! If ever in Gig Harbor, WA...book at Best Western Wesley Inn and Suites.

"No insulation between rooms"

Everything about this place is good except for one important thing. The walls are paper thin. You can hear people walking and talking in the hallway. Somebody came in next door at 11:30 p.m. and you could hear the person walking around the room. On the other side at 4:30 a..m.. we heard people making banging noises which stopped after I banged on the wall . Bring earplugs if you stay here.

"my first visit to Gig harbor"

I was on my way to Port Angeles but after a long flight to Seattle, I wanted a place to stay on the way but not in Tacoma. I discovered Gig Harbor , a little town nestled within the woods and near the water. Wesley Inn was nestled within these woods in a very quiet location but not far from the express way (easy on and off). The hotel is in excellent shape and the rooms are spacious. I stayed in a junior suite (upgrade) and was impressed. Itv was huge. It included a kitchen-like counter and sink and a fridge larger than the usual mini fridges found in many rooms. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower had all I needed. I especially liked the classy amenities. The service was great as well. The hotel is relatively close to supermarkets. The breakfast was very simple/limited: the cut fruit was pineapple and watermelon (?), the breads were not identified (whole grain?) while the cereal did have labels! All in all though, I will stay here more often when on my way up north.

"Great location and value!"

This is the second time we've stayed here. The location is always perfect for us, short drive to the harbor and around some shopping and food. Always appreciate a room with full length and extra mirrors around so the bathroom isn't the only place to get ready. Nice quiet room on 2nd floor. Wish for pillows that aren't quite so fluffy which hurt my neck. On our trip we had free breakfast at a Hyatt and a Holiday Inn, and this was our favorite-not all gluten. Easy parking. Cute seating area to the side and would love to try outdoor pool sometime when not so smoky from all the fires. Not a new hotel but kept up and friendly staff!

"Poor value"

Our room was $300 per night and the quality did not correspond. There was a $5 parking charge, which is pretty weak outside a metropolitan area. Our room was dated and had a funky smell. The staff was well trained and helpful. The breakfast was also a nice touch. Location is good and bad (good is that it is close to highway and easy to find, bad is that there is nothing within walking distance) IGNORE RATINGS BELOW as it won't let me register anything but

Beautiful, clean, quiet, friendly. Rooms are nice and very comfortable. This is a great little gem. Best hotel I stayed at on this trip. If you're in the Seattle/Tacoma area I'd highly recommend a stay here.

"Lovely Hotel"

This is a lovely hotel nestled in “the woods”. It has an outdoor pool which our kids really enjoy. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff are professional and friendly. They offer a complimentary breakfast which is very convenient. We come here every year. They treat us like family.

"Huge Rooms/Good Breakfast"

If you find yourself in Gig Harbor and need a hotel this Best Western will surprise you. The rooms are huge. They have a full breakfast with gluten free options available. There was fresh fruit, herbal teas, breakfast potatoes (they had butter so I had to pass), scrambled eggs. The outside of the hotel looks more like an apartment complex and all the flowers are beautiful. There's even a heated pool. The room has a microwave and small fridge. At 1am I realized we were out of bathroom tissue and they delivered new supplies within 5 minutes. It was very easy to stay there. Highly recommend.

"Hometown Hospitality"

This hotel is still locally owned and they will treat you like a local/family. We had to be out of the house due to having our floors redone and the hotel staff went above and beyond by offering us the use of the swimming pool the day before we came and letting us check in early. The breakfast was good. Just a walk down the hill and your in the heart of the Harbor. Clean, comfortable, quite and many places to sit and visit with family or friends.

"Great overnight stay"

The Best Western Wesley Inn in Gig Harbor Washington is an excellent hotel in Washington. We were there for one night on a road trip with our daughter. Welcoming and accommodating are the first impressions we had. We were allowed to check in early and even given an upgraded room. The hotel is on the trolley line in Gig Harbor. Very convenient. The morning breakfast was excellent. I strongly recommend this hotel !

"A Home Away from Home"

We recently stayed over the course of 10 days while waiting for our townhome to be ready for move-in. While a hotel experience is great for the kids, it is a strain for the adults living out of suitcases and a car full of household goods. The staff and amenities at Best Western made our stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend the Wesley Inn for any traveler coming to Gig Harbor!

Took a trip to Gig Harbor for my husband to be fitted with an ExoSym orthotic device at Hanger Clinic. Best Western has a special and exceptionally reasonable rate for clients at Hanger. Customer service, handicap accessible room, rate and amenities are the reasons we will stay at Best Western when we return.

Nice smaller property, family owned. The room was very quiet and comfortable for the 3 nights I was there. Excellent breakfast included for the cost and the internet was good. Convenient location and quite. Nice stay.

"Kinda disappointed... "

Beautiful exterior and far from the worst hotel I've ever stayed. But overall it's not a place I'd choose to stay again. I travel for work and stay at Best Westerns most of the time. But being Diamond Select status doesn't seem to mean much of anything at this location. I truly feel I was given a substandard room. I'm currently staying in room 112. I'm lucky that I'm here for work and have to get up early anyway because my room is right next to the lobby and elevators so I have to hear everything. On top of that, the air conditioning unit for the lobby is outside my window as well as a lounging area. So it's noisy. And that's without my upstairs neighbor walking around. Thank you Ambien for making sleep possible. There are also several things I find annoying about the interior of the room. Some of them minor, but collectively they've made my likelihood of staying here again unlikely. But first. The good. 1. Building is attractive. 2. Their amenities work. 3. Staff is friendly. 4. Breakfast is genuinely good. I've had enough powdered eggs and dry turkey sausage to last me a lifetime (looking at you Fairfield Marriott in Bremerton) This place is a step above when it comes to hotel fare. 5. Pet friendly and have a cute dog on site as a greeter. :) 6. Surrounding area is very attractive with plenty of shops a short walk/drive away. 7. A trolly stop across the street that costs a dollar and takes you to different spots. 8. The beds are good. Maybe not as good as my sleep number bed at home, but my back didn't hurt on these and my pressure points were not achy in the morning. Now the annoyances: 1. The curtains. The patio area is right outside my window. They have blackout curtains but no sheers on the window for privacy. So I can open the curtains for light, but no privacy. Or keep them closed for privacy but have no natural light in the room. 2. The window unit. It works great, but the vents cause it to blow directly at the bed. So if I get it as chilly as I like it in the room, I've got the full blast hitting me while I sleep. My solution has been to create a pillow fort wall to block the air. 3. The refrigerator is tiny. I like to get some food to have at the hotel and that's not possible here. I barely had room to fit the water I bought into it. And the freezer compartment is extra tiny. Smallest fridge I've seen in a hotel room to date. 4. USB plugs. They have an alarm clock with USB ports on one side. But the other has nothing. Either bring an extension cord or be prepared to dig behind the mattress to find the outlet hidden there. 5. The tv isn't centered to the bed, and while it is wall mounted, it can't be tilted or turned to make viewing better (it's a small thing I know. But I'm annoyed now) 6. Then the noise again. Honestly. If you book here, ask for a room away from the elevators and off the first floor. I came in really late and just took what they gave me. It's been unfortunate. Overall it's a decent hotel, but the room I'm in has left me with a poor impression and no desire to repeat the experience.

"Very rude experience .. owner named Sue was unprofessional and unaccommodating about issue with room . Avoid!"

I choose to stay at this hotel on business . I booked a room for a week-long stay . After awhile in the room, I noticed a lot of loud guest noise happening above me which perpetually kept going on, including running and furniture moving and some sort of ball dropping repeatedly for over 4 hours . It was particularly important for me to get a decent night's rest , and so I visited the front desk , explaining the noise situation to the front desk assistant (named JJ) and requesting a different room . She initially refused , telling me that it was too late in the day to change rooms, that she was worried that she would get in trouble with her boss , and that she couldn't move me because changing rooms "cost the hotel money " . I said that I really preferred to change to different room and asked again. She replied "Fine!" and seemed upset and angry, but did assign me another room . The second room was an improvement during the next two days of my stay, until I began to notice cigarette smoke coming into the room , which ended up being someone smoking below my window on the first floor and in a more remote part of the building area directly below my room . I ignored it but after it happened a few times, I decided the following day that it truly was a problem and that I needed to talk to someone about changing rooms . This time I approached the front desk , I encountered Sue , the hotel manager and owner , who was immediately rude and dismissive to me, and was bristling with hostility and attitude. Sue declared that she was "not going to move me" , even accusing me of moving four times , which was obviously incorrect. I thought maybe she's having a bad day or had misinformation , which she acknowledged she did have misinformation , but remained unapologetic , just as rude or more so than her assistant JJ , and still refused to move me at my request . She also repeated to me what JJ had said , that it cost her money to change rooms , which apparently was at the true root of her refusals . I travel much of time on business at various hotels and I have to say that I've never been treated in such a demeaning way by a hotel manager . It was nearly laughable, if it hadn't been so insulting . I'll never stay at this hotel location again because of this negative experience I cannot recommend it to anyone because should they have an issue , I wouldn't want them to be treated as I was . Also, on another note , I booked this hotel with the understanding that parking as included with my room rate and total cost , and yet the hotel charged my credit card for daily parking fees.

"Family-Owned Makes a Difference"

As soon as we walked into this hotel we knew it was special. The people behind the desk were fully engaged in welcoming us and ensuring that our stay was everything we wanted it to be. Our room was light and airy, with leafy trees just outside, filled with birdsong. It was great having the tub, toilet and sink inside the bathroom, and another deep sink in the main room, near the coffeemaker and microwave. The lighting in the room is rather dim. Nice desk, plenty of outlets. Good internet. Breakfast was considerably better than what is on offer at most hotels, and the staff in the kitchen was outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure that guests had what they wanted and that the food was constantly restocked. And no TV in the breakfast room, which we consider to be a big plus. Large comfortable lobby. Gated pool with tables and chairs--good for families. We would have used the fire pit outside the front door, but it was raining--still, a novel idea. It's a long walk down the hill to the harbor, but if you take the route through Grandview Park, it's a nice walk along a quiet path and then through a residential area (ask the front desk to tell you how to do). Highly recommended both for the physical layout of the rooms and the hotel, and the outstanding service of employees in every department.

"Quiet and clean"

Stayed for two nights while attending a graduation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Liked the location because even though it had easy access to major roads it was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The grounds are well kept and plenty of parking. Didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of the breakfast but it looked good and smelled wonderful. Would definitely stay there again.

Terrific place to stay, every staff member was friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The daily hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise. There was even a healthy make your own smoothy bar.

Good value for the area. Friendly, helpful staff. Central location. Clean and well maintained rooms. Good selection of breakfast items. Bed not terribly comfy, but on par with most other hotels. No addtional fees for wifi or parking.

I love this place. The staff do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. The hotel and grounds are clean and well cared for. Rooms are spacious and amenities plentiful. Lots of choices for breakfast.

"Lovely Hotel"

We have stayed numerous times at Wesley Inn and have always been pleased with the level of service. That being said this stay had a few issues: 1. A smell in the room probably from some sweet deodorizer used to mask some other smell. 2. Had to ask for a hair dryer. 3. A large group having some sort of conference who were very loud into the night and made the breakfast difficult to navigate.

The facility was very attractive with nicely cared for grounds. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very caring and friendly. They were helpful and attentive. We totally enjoyed our stay and felt that Wesley the mascot was a bonus . He makes a great greeter. They are pet friendly. This is a plus and something I may take advantage of in the future.

"Comfortable spot near Gig Harbor and suburban restaurants"

This hotel was a great home base for exploring Gig Harbor, Vashon Island, and Defiance Point. It was close to fast food like Jersey Mike's and Panera. That helped keep the trip costs reasonable. They were pet friendly but told me the pet fee will soon be going up from $20 to $50!

"Here's a tip: Inn is not quite perfect"

Make no mistake my wife and I love the ambiance and location of Best Western Wesley Inn and Suites in Gig Harbor. You can't help but appreciate Natalya the night clerk who goes out her way to make guests feel welcome and accomodate requests. Natalya puts a smile on customer service. Also impressive is the morning kitchen staff who prepare an outstanding breakfast selection every day. The scrambled eggs are moist and fluffy and warm, not dry and rubbery like many other "free" hotel breakfasts. The breakfast potatoes are always good as is the link sausage and french toast. There are bagels and pastries and cereals available along with plenty of fresh fruit (apples, oranges and freshly cut pineapple and watermelon). There are also juices, coffee and tea selections. Kudos to the outstanding kitchen staff. We have stayed BW Weskey Inn and Suites previously and will stay here again. However while we have been impressed on prior stays with housekeeping staff, this visit was a disappointment. When we checked in on a Tuesday evening our room appeared clean with the exception of a bent and likely used cotton Q-tip on the floor behind the toilet. I wanted to report this to front desk but my wife suggested we wait and see if housekeeping found the Q-tip when servicing the room Wednesday while we were away for the day. Sadly the Q-tip was still there behind the toilet when we returned to our room. We did report the oversight Wednesday evening to the front desk clerk. Unfortunately all management team members had already left for the day. By the way this visit we did not leave a gratuity for the housekeeping staff who usually get a "tip" of between $3 and $5 daily from us.

A very nice lobby and staff (especially Kathy) greet you upon entering. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The best offerings of a chain: consistent quality and upkeep, a nice breakfast and amenities like a fire pit and pool - with a few boutique hotel touches like the handsome, weathered boat that hangs from the lobby ceiling.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Wesley Inn and Suites in Gig Harbor. This hotel is lovely on the outside and on the inside. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming. We were able to get into our room before check in time. The room was very roomy. There was a sitting area with a comfortable chair. The king size bed was very comfortable. The room smelled fresh and clean. The breakfast was very good. It included fresh baked cinnamon rolls. And the coffee was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Good spot to stay in Gig Harbor"

It is a very nice property, and staff are also quite nice. It is quite convenient to the restaurants down the (very big) hill at the harbor. One day breakfast was really good because they offered an egg/potato/onion/tomato concoction. The next day it was back to standard scrambled eggs and separately prepared potatoes, which seemed undercooked and thus inedible. Very nice, big rooms. Pillows were actually too puffy for my preference. And too bad pool is closed in the offseason.

Great place to stay, clean, excellent décor and looks. Extra friendly staff. Best place to stay and best motel that we have stayed in. Highly recommend it to all. Families and pets are very welcomed. We have stayed here many times and enjoyed are stay every time. The motel has very comfortable feel, great lobby and the architecture is great. You feel like you are at home. It would be a great place to live full time. I would highly recommend this to all. Don't miss it.

We has a King Suite. Microwave and a refrigerator was provided. Business desk, easy chair and ottoman made is comfy. The bed was comfortable and clean. Easy on and off the freeway, but very quiet, tucked into the woods.

"Perfect place for business meeting"

Super gracious and accommodating reception desk, delicious breakfast, pleasant meeting rooms and sufficient public restrooms for those attending meetings, convenient location, attractive grounds, small cooler in lobby for snacking. Parking spaces are a bit tight and limited in number; my room could have had enhanced lighting but overall a place I'd recommend without reservation.

Very nice Best Western. The suite they gave me was great; it had a fireplace and was very spacious. The staff was friendly and courteous and checked me in quickly. I was able to set up my office and had extra outlets and USB ports at the desk which was very nice and helpful. I even found some tasty chocolate chip cookies in my suite. I highly recommend this BW on Gig Harbor for business and leisure travelers.

For a night away from home can sometimes be difficult for me. The hotel front staff made me feel welcomed, engaged in conversation and made me feel comfortable. The room itself was comfortable with a good size and was clean. The breakfast area was spacious and there was a good selection of food and everything tasted wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. From check-in to departure, the staff was friendly & professional. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept in at a hotel. The complimentary breakfast was very good. A very positive experience all around.

"Lovely and cozy hotel"

The people who run this hotel do a really good job. It is very homey feel to it. The location is great as it is just off the highway. There are great restaurants near the water that are just a few miles away. The staff is very nice and helpful.

"Love this Place"

Our son attends the University of Puget Sound and this is where we stay when we visit. For us, it beats staying in Tacoma and it's not so far from a travel perspective. Clean, comfortable rooms, solid WI-FI, an awesome staff, great location. The beauty of Gig Harbor makes this well worth it. Plus, it's close to one of our favorite places to visit for happy hour, the Tides Tavern. For us, you can't go wrong. Check it out.

"Gig Harbor's safe bet"

There is nothing flashy about this tired old hotel from an earlier era. It is a Best Western after all. They added an elevator this past year! It is a big improvement. However, the hotel as a whole is not tacky. It is a large, old wooden structure. There is glue on wood flooring in front of the microwave and refrigerator area at the door. It is coming up. There is a cute little dog in at the reception desk. It is relatively near Gig Harbor and some of the amenities in the area. This is no destination hotel. But if you need to be in the area, it works fine.

I've stayed before and can't say nice enough things about this hotel. Great staff, good location, convenient, huge rooms and a good atmosphere. The breakfast is nice too and town is easily reached on foot. Parking is great and I've always had a good night sleep.

The BW Wesley Inn and Suites is a lovely place, both outside and in! The staff was extremely friendly and caring and we were treated with graciousness and true hospitality. The room was clean, nicely appointed, bed was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed or could want. I will definitely stay there again!

I stayed there for a women's retreat. They have done a remodel and boy it is beautiful. The best thing about this Hotel is its wonderful staff. Next the breakfast with homemade cinnamon rolls. The grounds are beautiful, lots of flowers. The pool is located in a courtyard which provides privacy.

I have stayed at a variety of hotels for work and leisure... this is one of my favorites. The hotel and rooms are always immaculate. The variety at the provided breakfast is appreciated. The staff is very gracious and helpful. And last, but certainly not least, the Gig Harbor is awesome! It's close to Tacoma (where I usually am traveling for business). It has beautiful places to visit on the harbor - restaurants, shops, historical locations. I will always request to stay at this location from now on when traveling in the area.

My wife and I spent two nights here this week as we searched for a new home in the Gig Harbor area. This is our second visit to the Best Western Wesley (BWW) and once again, Kathy and her wonderful staff did not disappoint! Professional customer service that rivals any of the big hotel chains, great breakfast presentations, clean rooms and comfortable beds and pillows that virtually guarantee a good night's sleep. We'll be returning to Gig in a month or so and will definitely be staying at BWW once again! Thank you Kathy and staff for a wonderful visit!

What a great hotel and staff. My wife and I were there for 10 days while I received new bilateral exosym . I walked 2 blocks to the clinic. The breakfast at the hotel is really good, fresh and hot. Breakfast staff the best. Our king room was large, clean and comfortable. We had no car but used Gig Harbor taxi. and ordered some food in. There is a Burger king, Subway and a oriental restaurant 5 min. walk . Bus out front as well. I highly recommend this hotel. Best staff ever, friendly, and they care

Was clean, quiet, comfortable and the room was big. Wish the breakfast would have offered flavored coffee creamer at breakfast and the water pressure was terrible for getting shampoo out of your hair but overall it was a pleasant stay!

We arrived to a welcoming front desk who was understanding of my service dog and very polite. Since my husband was to be at a meeting the next day, the hotel allowed me a late departure from the room, which was very appreciated! The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was of a standard continental-type, with plenty of space to maneuver and no lines or crowding. Very happy with our stay here!

The hotel is very nice, better than other Best Westerns I have stayed in. It was clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful trees outside. Friendly front desk staff. Room was large and comfortable with a refrigerator. It is close to waterfront. Would love to come back and spend more time here. Also, the breakfast was very good. Better than most and the woman setting it up was very pleasant.

Room was very quiet--set in large fir trees right outside the window. Everything worked. A/C great. breakfast was a buffet with usual eggs, meat but good oatmeal as well. Staff very friendly. Lots of free parking. Would stay here again

"Not up to par"

The hotel was a lot more expensive than a higher level Best Western. I was given a price for veterans and then later told that was only for active duty. The conformation showed the discount applied to veterans. I was charged extra because they said the price quoted was for active duty military. I called the hotel after making an online reservation to be sure it was correct. I was it was fine. Then later told the above.. The BW Plus is much nicer and much less expensive and active duty or veteran is the same. We stayed in 3 different BW hotels during this trip and others were great. The blinds were broken in the room we had with a king size bed. They moved us to a room with 2 queens. The hotel needs to be refurbished, the hall carpets had large stains and elevator was not clean. That make a person feel the whole place is dirty.

"Not aware of BW policy "

This was our first stay at a Best Western, BW, in a long time, and could be our last. I booked our room under the military/veterans program that BW has on their web site. This policy does require an ID card when checking in. When I checked in was told I would have to pay $5.00/day for parking, with the hotel web site stating that parking is free, because I was checking in under the Military/Veterans program. When I questioned this I was told that the hotel charges all military and veterans for parking, but not anyone else. The next morning after again being told by the front desk this was the policy, I called BW client services to complain, who, then called the hotel and directed them to remove the charge. I was called by the hotel manager, who I went to see, and was told the charge would be removed from my bill, and that "this one time" they would let me check into the hotel as a veteran, but that was not their policy. When I pointed out to the manager, that there was a specific policy of BW for veterans she said she was not aware of it and I had to show her on the BW website via my iPad. She stated this was not the hotel policy and she " would have to do something about it". I find it hard to believe that veterans and military would be treated differently. The excuse for charging the military is that the government would pay for their parking, basically charging the government for something that is free for everyone else. As far as the room was concerned, it was good, with no real complaints, exception noted above, but the furniture is starting to get a bit worn. Overall if you need somewhere to stay in Gig Harbor, you have very little choice, just 3 hotels and this one is mid range of them all, but with prices much higher than a comparable hotel elsewhere.

"Almost better than home"

I spent more than a week at this hotel and it was a great stay. Every time I entered the lobby I was greeted by a pleasant staff member and Wesley the public relations dog. This hotel felt like home without the stress of the responsibilities of home. The hotel was clean and quiet yet people were out and about the hotel enjoying the amenities. I think the pleasant, polite vibe of the hotel was infectious.

"Worst manager/owner ever (Sue)"

Manager/owner (Sue,Susan,Susie)was extremely rude to our group. Did not communicate ahead of time. Some things that we had discussed with her and seemed ok with her ahead of time she completely changed her tune on when we arrived. We had approx 40 - 50 rooms filled with guests for the wedding and she was as rude as can be to us all.

Its been years that I stayed at a Best Western but this one is comparable to Marriott. Staff was friendly and attentive, breakfast was good and well stocked. Great Indian Restaurant walking distance, Trolley stop across the street. A block off the freeway so no traffic noise. Great experience.

This hotel was very nice and perfect for a family trip. The room was great for my husband and I, with our two small children. The breakfast was resteraunt quality, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool was the perfect sized and lots of fun. We would definitely stay again and recommend.

Rooms with nice decor, pretty clean but areas of hotel have old/tired decor (halls, tub/shower areas), TV's are outdated & have cable + HBO only. Pool is dirty with no light and no lighting in the pool patio, despite being open until 10. Staff were wonderful.

The hotel employees are professional and courteous. The hot breakfast offered a good variety of choices. The grounds and facilities are very nice--and quiet. The only negative: mattress was too soft for my back.

Had a great stay at the Best Western. The close proximity to the trolley stop made the trolley to Uptown and Downtown Gig Harbor extremely convenient. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast is not great but it came with your stay so I was not expecting anything fantastic.

Beautiful place to stay. And in the heart of one of the most beautiful places. This Best Western is stunning! Friendly people, gorgeous surroundings, and dog friendly. My husband and I traveled with our two tween boys and our( 2) dogs. Everyone was very kind and the dog friendly rooms were exceptional!! We will be back! My wife and I stayed here for a conference. First the good. Location. Check. Grounds. Nice! Now the other. Price/Value. Not great. We're here at peak season on a weekend. This is still the best hotel in the area but overpriced for the accommodations. Poor construction, cheap furniture and beds, old tv, no adjustable rolling desk chair - seriously? Breakfast is included but very uninspired. However, nice staff. Overall a B- or C+. Would stay there again but hope for a better rate.

Staff was very helpful & accommodating. Public transportation is across the street from the hotel & very inexpensive for the day. Ask for restaurant discounts at the front desk. The waterfront oh Gig Harbor is beautiful & pleasant to stroll.

After watching the Chamber of Commerce Youtube we were expecting Gig Harbor to be like a little seaside town on the coast of Maine. Not so. It had a gouge the tourist in high season vibe. It also felt like a suburb of a metro area. Urban rather than village. Upscale. Nicer shopping areas. Wesley Inn was fine. No cookies. We had a view of the kids playing in the pool. I thought I could swim the length of it in 3 strokes so I didn't try to swim around the children playing. Really great fresh fruit salad at breakfast. Dead peonies needed trimming. Other deferred maintenance.

"Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!"

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife and one-year-old daughter while in town for my brother's wedding. It was the worst hotel stay of my life. To make a long story short, we had a disagreement with the hotel about our room rate prior to check-in. In retaliation, the hotel went out of its way to make our lives miserable. First, they threatened to cancel our stay altogether 3 days prior to the wedding (in which I was the best man). It literally took a phone call from the bride to keep our reservation. Then, once we checked in, the hotel repeatedly locked us out of our room -- often times when we returned late at night with a crying baby in our arms. (We later learned from front-desk employees that these lockouts were done at the hotel manager's request.) It was really, truly bizarre. I'm planning to file a formal complaint with Best Westerns's corporate office because of the experience. I'd avoid this hotel at all costs, especially if you're planning a wedding. The management team is irrational, unprofessional, and horribly dishonest. Your wedding guests will thank you.

Excellent overall. The hotel is 47 miles from down town Seattle . Hotels.com listed it as 23 miles on the website. Spoke with them and they Have not corrected it. Shame on you hotels.com. With that said, no fault with the hotel . As I said it is excellent hotel and I would stay again in my travels but not for going back and forward to Seattle for going on sight seeing tours as we did. Too far away and traffic the worst , no matter what time of day

"Ok in Gig Harbor"

The rooms are very nice. The bed sheets had hair in them (black) we are blond. Front desk staff assured us it was from housekeeping and that they are in the process of requiring them to wear hairnets. We are pretty good at checking that the alarms are off when we first check in and of course we didn't this time and the darn thing went off at 3:00am! Between the hair in bed and alarm going off, did not get much sleep. They had upgraded our room before our arrival and it was VERY nice. It had a fireplace and 1 king and 1 queen bed and was quite spacious. So that was a nice surprise.

I had only a couple of comments-no major issues: The rooms were not terribly well insulated. We had our TV on very low volume and got a complaint from the front desk. Seemed very weird. I thought the hotel was over priced for the type of room and amenities but it was ok for us as we were on a short leisure trip.

This is the place to stay in Gig Harbor unless you absolutely must have a view of the harbor. We found we liked the Wesley Inn so much that we didn't require a view to fully enjoy this historic town. We walked across the street to the Cushman Trail. We took the short walk to downtown and enjoyed the historic harbor path then rode the Trolley back to the Wesley Inn. (The trolley stop is right across the street.) The hotel staff recommended one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever eaten in. This quiet and immaculate hotel with its warm staff made our visit to Gig Harbor just perfect.

"Dogs Everywhere"

This is a doggy hotel. I do not mind dogs. I do mind dogs that are on counters in the lobby. I was on a business trip and I cannot even go up to the counter without having dog hair. The owner had her small dog on the counter playing with her. I feel this is unprofessional. If you are going to ok dogs there must be rules. Like no dogs in the lobby. The rooms are clean. The outside is beautiful lovely landscape. The pool is small. When I tried to call the manager after my stay I never received a call back.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of place, high ceilings 10ft, nice room (at least the one i stayed in was) Pool, jacuzzi, laundry, complementry coffee 24-7, friendly help. If i wasn't relocating to area and returned just to visit, i would most surely stay here again. The cost per night for what recieved was well spent. breakfast spread wasn't to shabby either, comparable to more costly competitors.

Here;s some of the things I liked: - there are 2 floors -the free breakfast is freshly prepared and there are a lot of options, including fresh fruit - the rooms are spacious and included a desk I could actually work at (room enough for my laptop and my papers) - plenty of outlets for charging devices - friendly and helpful staff

Beautiful hotel in nice location next to the Cushman Trail. Large, clean rooms. Staff is extremely kind and courteous. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. I will be back next time I'm in the area.

We were here three nights, everything was very nice from the room to the breakfast and especially the staff. Quiet and comfortable. Fresh fruit at breakfast. This is a great location to explore Kitsap Peninsula and very short drive to the Gig Harbor waterfront. The 6 mile Cushman trail is across the street. Very quiet location.

This hotel is a gem for several reasons. I came in to Gig Harbor on business and after a terrible night elsewhere landed in Best Western lobby hoping that there was room for me. Sue at the front desk just scooped me up and took care of everything. She was so genuine and so professional! My room was perfectly decorated and ready for me to relax after a hard days work! Couldn't have asked for more and will stay again. Thank you!

Stayed here 7 nights while floors were being refinished. Not exactly a leisure stay, but the staff were welcoming the room was comfortable , the breakfast was delicious. land it was very quiet. Would recommend it. The only thing that I would comment on that is not meant to be negative is that there is a large bathtub equipped with a Jacuzzi in the bedroom and it"s placement just seemed odd. Perhaps some would like it , the people in the room next to us used theirs and we thought an aircraft was landing next to us! Once we realized what it was we laughed and hoped they would not be using it too late at night, and they didn't.

Great hotel in a great location close to the harbor. Accommodation was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hot breakfast was a nice start to our day. Prices were elevated due to the Thanksgiving week, but normal prices are a good value considering free parking, free internet and a hot breakfast. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel with a professional staff, pleasant atmosphere, comfortable beds and "clean rooms/linen" according to my wife whom I've learned to believe in matters such as this! Easy on/off freeway access right around the corner and very close to other nearby excellent restaurants in Gig Harbor. My wife and I spent three night here and would definitely consider saying here again.

We were here for a family event and a wediding. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. The entire staff was professional, pleasant and looked out for all of our needs. We had dinner at Anthonys which was excellent. Beautiful area, I highly recommend Best Western Wesley Inn and Suites.

Dark rooms, depressing. They told us they are constantly remodeling - I can see why - everything they have done is horrible. Don't be fooled by the pool - It is a joke, it is too little to use. As soon as we got there we asked for our money back. They refused. Stay away from here!!!

Comfortable, warm, friendly, welcoming, very good breakfast, gym next door and in one of the most beautiful small harbor towns in America. A plethora of places to eat, and when the sun is out Mt. Rainer, covered in snow is splendid to see, and with boats on the Sound, white caps on the water, and dark green evergreens glistening after a rain, and the air fresh, it is one of the most invigorating, and pleasant places to be, and the hotel is the best place in the area for business travelers, of which I was one, to stay.

The location was easy to find using our gps system. And the setting of this Best Western was exceptional. There were trees and bushes surrounding the motel which made if very attractive. The parking was close and convenient and we had no trouble finding a parking space. They had a very nice staff who were helpful in selecting a room that best suited our needs. The lobby was spacious and had a "gig" boat hanging up high. The staff explained why that was there and why the town was named for it.

My wife and I love the Best Western, Wesley Inn. This past week-end, we opted to go there because of the storm and potential power outages in our residential area. I had papers I needed to get done in a relaxing atmosphere without the threat of losing power. No power outage and not much of a storm, however there was plenty of comfort and relaxing. The staff there is always pleasant and helpful. The gracious entryway is very inviting, and most importantly, coffee is always on and good.

Stayed here for 4 days. The location is great. It is handy to historic downtown and well maintained. However, you could hear whenever the occupants above us walked around thanks to the creaky floorboards. Plus, the conversation of the neighbors in the connecting room was pretty clear until well after midnight thru the connecting door making sleeping difficult. On the positive side, the lobby and breakfast area was spacious with ample seating.

"Quaint small hotel"

I booked a regular king room, it was an average room and smelled a little musty. It was clean so I just stayed put. I wish I had spent the extra and tried the suite with fireplace. The people in this hotel are very nice and I am sure if I mentioned that my room smelled a little musty they would have moved me. They have a nice breakfast in the morning and it's not too crazy like some bigger hotels that serve breakfast. I would stay here again, great location close to town.

The services were very good rooms were clean on time. The entire staff went above and beyond board to make sure every thing were in order and ok. The complete staff were super front desk room, service and the breakfast persons were super. I would give this place 5 stars for the front desk staff alone. The room was comfortable and clean. There was not noise from other rooms although there weren't a lot of cars in the lot so there may not have been any occupants in those rooms. My only complaint would be that the breakfast is the same every day - some variation would be good.

This is a Wonderful place to stay for family and couples of all ages. Super friendly staff and they provide a nice breakfast, last time I stayed they had more of a variety this time it was almost the same thing everyday but it was good. The grounds are well kept and the hotel is very clean. My son wanted to workout but the gym was close on Sundays and the days that were schedule to be open it closed early. These were only the 2 things they could try to improve. Overall It is a wonderful place to stay and I will always stay here when in the area.

"OK Stay"

Very pleasant reception. General Building appearance is an up tic from the usual elongated style of most motels. Exterior signage could be better. As for the room, the appearance was rather sparse. No pictures on the wall. It simply did not seem very cozy for a rate of $175. Hand held lower nozel holder was gone, and the coffee maker was broken. Now for the positives. Location is in a quiet spot. The king bed was firm and conformable with nice selection of pillows. (A comfortable is the most importantly of all ! !). Breakfast selection was more than most. Breakfast area was roomy and attendant was on the ball. All in all, if in the area, we would probably go back.

The Best Western Gig Harbor is a well run, guest focused and pet friendly motel. The breakfasts were consistently good and provided some variety during our stay. The pool was small but clean and well maintained in a nicely landscaped area. We were greeted each morning by a friendly small dog who kept station at the top of the staircase. The staff was helpful as our travel plans kept changing. The only shortcoming is the lack of any views. Rooms in the back were up against a wall and a commercial building which resulted in a dark cave like effect.

"Boutique style feel in chain hotel"

Best Western Inn and Suites in Gig Harbor is a pleasant small two story hotel right off highway, and just a short drive or trolley ride from downtown Gig Harbor. Architecture looks more like an inn than a typical chain hotel. Lobby is lean and bright with coffee available. The breakfast area is open to the Lobby area. Breakfast is included with stay and is typical hotel limited buffet, although probably better than most (scrambled eggs, sausage, bread and pastries, cooked oatmeal with toppings, yogurt, waffles and cereal). We stayed in a queen double on second floor. Rooms were clean with small mini frig, keurug coffee and microwave. Nice soft white sheets and fluffy white towels. Front desk staff was wonderful! Very helpful from first making our last minute room reservation to helping us plan restaurant choices and boat tours. Very very friendly and helpful. We needed a wine opener and one was given to us in a nice white box with hotel logo (nice gift to take home) . I would definitely stay here again

"Bad Best Western Gig Harbor"

After booking my stay early in the month of August I realized that this hotel immediately charges the rate of the room to your card. Not the day of check in or check out, so be aware of that. Also be aware that there are no refunds for cancellations! You should also know that this hotel can charge you for smoking in a non-smoking room even if you had not smoked in it. I stayed recently and was charged a smoking fee $250 which was a false accusation and was not disputable with staff. At a room rate of nearly $250 a night the accommodations and room quality were some of the poorest I have seen. The hotel has not been updated since the early 90's and the faucet and fixtures in my bathroom were loose and wore out. I was in town for a wedding and I will let my friends and family of friends to never stay here at the Best Western of Gig Harbor! They are not the only game in town so do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Dear Mr. Unentertained, I am so sorry that you did not have a good experience with us. Sometimes the immediate charge and no cancellation policy are because the room was booked with a third party site. When the reservation is made with us, we do not make the charge immediately, but rather at the end of your stay. We typically will cancel a reservation if it is done 24 hours ahead of the arrival. Some of our events have a week's cancellation policy. At times, guests will think they are booking with us, but it is usually with a third party. Whenever there is a smoking charge, first please know that it is never made lightly. There has to be enough evidence to warrant a charge. When we promise our guests a no smoking room, that is what we have to deliver. When someone has smoked in the room, whether it is cigarettes or marijuana, it is illegal. The room has to go through a deeper cleaning process, which also takes time and energy from the staff and causes damage to the room. We provide places to smoke at least 25 feet from the building. We always have our guests sign the no smoking line at registration. Sometimes, it is the guest who has someone with them that smokes. It is still the guest's responsibility to make sure no one smokes in the room. The hotel has been going through renovations during the last year and a half. We installed an elevator, renovated the lobby, created an additional outdoor gathering area with a fire table and have continued with updating the rooms. This is an on going process. New furniture will be added to the rooms late 2016 or early 2017. Also, the rates at most hotels are higher in the summer due to availability and it being the peak season. Rates for most hotels now can change on a daily basis, so it is good to check different days. Mr. Unentertained, thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We always want our guests to have a great experience when they stay with us. Again, please know that we do not charge the guests when they make the reservation. The hotel was inviting and clean. The staff, however, are what make this hotel stand out. Friendly and helpful. We asked for recommendations for dinner and they handed us a list of recommendations. The room was decent sized and very clean. I especially loved the Christian music that is playing in the lobby. Our Continental breakfast was a notch above the rest. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hotel was very friendly and warm. The staff made us feel very welcome. Rooms were clean as well as the rest of the property. Location to the town was just a few minutes drive from the property. Parker, the resident hotel dog, was a special perk!

We spent a wonderful weekend at the Best Western Plus - Gig Harbor. The hotel exterior is very charming (Cape Cod style) and the inside is just as lovely. It was very clean and up to date. The complimentary breakfast buffet had a wide range of selections and was absolutely delicious! (We want the recipe for the fabulous cheesy egg & potato souffle! Oh... and those cinnamon rolls are to die for!!) The staff was the best part of our stay ... so friendly and welcoming ... couldn't have asked for a better experience!

All four of my colleagues liked the Wesley. We especially enjoyed breakfast. Clean, friendly and professional staff with a nice looking hotel in a wooded environment. Gig Harbor does not have a lot of hotel options. This has to be one of the best. Recommended

"The Best of the Best"

I travel for business and have stayed at many of the hotels up and down the I-5 corridor. With out exception this is the BEST hotel in this chain and well worth the additional 10 minutes travel time I spent to get there. Breakfast was unbelievable and of a much higher quality than you will find at any of the other hotels. I was traveling with my family and this location made us all feel safe, comfortable and appreciated.

I am lucky to be able to travel often, and this is among my favorite hotels!! It is clean, large, welcoming and every staff person I've ever encountered is really nice and willing to do whatever they can to make you happy. Our daughter attends school in Tacoma, but we choose to stay here in Gig Harbor at this hotel over any other hotel in Tacoma! You won't be sorry!

"Flea infested room"

So the hotel is nice yet but I guess it's true looks can be deceiving we stay at the hotel for a couple of days and it is a pet friendly hotel but the room was not friendly there were fleas in the room the guy I was working with got bit by the fleas we reported it the owner and she pretty much shrugged it off as if nothing had happened and did not really acknowledge or really show care about the situation I would be careful staying at this location

Overall, this hotel was very pleasant with lovely grounds and excellent breakfast. The room seemed somewhat dated, but included a fridge and microwave plus business desk. The rate per night was high compared to other Best Western Plus hotels we have stayed in, likely due to the popularity of Gig Harbor and limited accommodation choice. Also, the hotel was quite a distance from the very picturesque harbor, popular restaurants and shops.

The hotel was very clean and was quite up to date. The hotel room came with specialty bottled water with Wesley Inn labeled on the bottle, very nice touch. There were Keurig coffee makers in the room as well, this was something that gave it that small home feel. I really liked that. The pool and hot tub were a little on the small side, but the hot tub water was nice and hot unlike some hotels... This completely fixed my view on those amenities. No issues with the internet. I was able to game and watch netflix without any issues. Overall, the hotel was very nice and had a great feel! I will book this hotel next year for my next training! Good people, good HOT breakfast. made the stay that much more memorable and comfortable.

The Wesley Inn Staff were generally courteous although check in and check out were not done accurately. Our cards were charged before we received our bill and had to be credited and corrected. We had rooms reserved for months in advance for our daughter's wedding and our room preferences were ignored. Rooms were clean, housekeeping services quickly responsive. Breakfast included? Hot breakfast items were barely edible, really poor eggs, frozen potatoes reheated, cheap breakfast meats. Other items were generic - breads and packaged yogurt. Oatmeal was really thick and gluey. We skipped breakfast there after one morning, ate elsewhere - not a good value. Wesley Inn generally overpriced for services provided, however there are not a lot of other hotel options in the Gig Harbor area.

Had a great experience here.The hotel was very nice with pretty flower gardens everywhere. The staff and locals were very friendly. Hotel was convenient to local transportation. My only complaint would be that the hotel hot tub was not hot but cold. Breakfast was typical but coffee was great. Beautiful town, would go back tomorrow!

We have been out many times in the past 4 years looking for a home near the water in Gig Harbor. Each time we have stayed, we did so at the Wesley Inn & Suites. This time our visit was for good and as usual they didn't disappoint. Anywhere you stay in the harbor you will find above average prices, but you won't find the same level of service or value for your money. The staff are always friendly and eager to help find a destination or help plan an evening out. If you are looking for a clean hotel room where you can get a good night's rest, the Wesley Inn is the only place I would stay.

The fact this is listed number one in Gig Harbor says more about Gig Harbor lodging than the quality of The Wesley Inn. My double-queen unit was a standard motel room and the free breakfast was mediocre with very few healthy options.

It is always our desire to have our guests leave here having had a good experience. Our guests are a good gage of how we are doing. Your thoughts and comments make a difference to us. Often when guests leave the hotel, they let us know how their stay felt. We want to continue to improve in every area. The breakfast is something we work on constantly. Many of our guests have enjoyed the different types of yogurts, string cheese, fresh cut fruit, steel cut oatmeal with the different toppings and the gluten free cereal, when looking for a healthier fare. The last two years have been spent improving the exterior and some of the interior rooms of the hotel. The lobby is new along with the outdoor sitting area and the elevator. The hotel rooms are on a two year plan to update with furnishings, bedding and drapery. This has already been started. "Garden Tour Paradise"

We were two couples, the husbands had a golf tournament at Madrona, the wives had tickets for the Gig Harbor Garden Tour to Benefit Literacy. My husband and I stayed Friday and Saturday. When we checked in we were given a Jacuzzi room! We found out later that they were booked up, so anyone who was staying 2 nights was upgraded. The room was incredible, with a gas fireplace, full size sofa, and a lovely Jacuzzi tub. The bed was incredibly comfortable. When the other couple came they were given a standard room, which was also very nice and spacious but without the fireplace, Jacuzzi, & a chair in lieu of a sofa. The pool and hot tub area are very nice. There is also a patio apart from the pool with a nice gas fire pit and plenty of tables and chairs. We took advantage of everything. The rooms were very clean and up-to-date. It all made up for the fact that we weren't on the waterfront, and we would definitely stay here again (even in a standard room).

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. We travelled here while working with the Hanger Clinic for medical reasons. Wonderful, helpful staff. The breakfast is very nice. The lobby is a great space to spend time visiting with family and fellow travelers. A trolley stop that goes around Gig Harbor is at the entrance of the hotel parking lot. We would stay here again!

This place is situated on beautiful grounds. The rooms are tasteful, spacious. There is a heated pool which the kids enjoyed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And, oh, did I mention the breakfast. You won't find those plastic waffles here. I don't know how they manage to provide such a nice spread, but it is consistently nice and delicious and includes fresh fruit.

Excellent service , good breakfast clean and comfortable rooms. Well keep grounds and The exterior of the hotel looked like a lodge. I would refer this hotel to anyone staying in Gig Harbor. June 2016--stayed here for 3 nights Was greeted warmly and everyday staff were extremely friendly and helpfull Room was BIG!, coffee and tea maker, fridge, microwave, radio/clock. Bed was superbly comfortable, bathroom big, in fact there was a LOT of room in the room! No restaurant on site-buta great Indian Restaurant next door, a Subway Burger King and Teriyaki, just 200m down KIMBALL DRIVE Alternatively go for a walk into town-(about 20 minutes) and theres a great general store and restaurants. Cant complain, look forward to staying there on my next visit

I ALWAYS stay at this hotel when I travel to Gig Harbor. There is no reason to go anywhere else. The hotel and the staff are the BEST. The location is perfect and breakfast is way above that served at other hotels. Try it and see for yourself. I love Gig Harbor and I love staying at this hotel. We love to visit Gig Harbor and the Wesley Inn is our go to place. The grounds are beautifully maintained with gorgeous flowers, large pots and hanging baskets. The staff is always welcoming and they are very kind with our old Labrador. The rooms are nicely appointed and have some warm touches like a stuffed toy dog that represents the hotel four-legged ambassador Parker.

This hotel is in downtown Gig Harbor and the area is very scenic. The hotel is very attractive. Our room was on the first floor and right off the lobby. The problem is that our room has very thin walls and I could hear the man in the next room who sounded like he was preparing for a speech. Good thing we had a TV to drown out the background noise. BUT, the free breakfast was very good.

Stayed here twice earlier this year. Both times came away very happy. The staff is so kind and helpful and love the little mascot, Parker! Rooms were very clean. Pretty grounds for walking dogs and easy to get to. Easy on and off for getting around. Couple of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast available. Not that great but nice for a quick bite. Also loved the drink and deli type items available in the lobby. Can't say enough about everyone on staff that we met during our stays. Great place for the money in an area that doesn't have a lot of choices.

I had to go to Gig Harbor for a funeral. This place was recommended. I was surprised at how nice it was for the price, and for a Best Western. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. I travel a ton for work and have stayed in places ranging from hookers-getting-arrested-in-the-lobby to 5 star hotels in Australia. If I ever have a need to return to Gig Harbor, I'll stay here again. Wasn't super excited about the religious tracts in the room, but we just ignored that.

"Convenience for families"

Nice hotel for families, as it offers suites for separate sleeping areas. The pool was a hit with the kids, and the breakfast food was healthy with diverse offerings. Location is not very close to tourist activities, viewpoints, or parks... you will need to drive. Transit, however, is right across the street!

Love love lover the atmosphere of this hotel. It's has that rustic, laid back kind of ambiance. The staff have happy faces from 4:00am to whatever time of the night. Your reservation comes with an American breakfast buffet . The room is quite comfortable. It came with a sink, mini fridge, coffee/keurig, complementary bottled water and the other usual amenities. Good wifi and cable as well. The bed is comfy. Though it's an older hotel, my room has been renovated. No elevator but I wouldn't have it any other way. The hotel is sorrounded by trees. You can hardly tell that there's a convenience store on the next corner. I would come back to this hotel in a Heartbeat.

Terrible desk staff, mixed up rooms, staff became angry when called out on mix up, very unprofessional. I booked their best room and was told we were getting a king with a pull out cot. Complained and was put in a room with 2 queens next to electrical room. Then, after another staff told us the first room was actually a king, queen, and pull out, we took that room, but the staff who made the error, became inappropriately angry. Would not recommend this, average rooms, expensive, bad service

Located just off the freeway (Hwy 16) main city center exit. five or six blocks from the water front and lots of dining choices. Large rooms that are modern and very clean with coffee, microwave and frig. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and features lots of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, hot and cold cereal. slept in rooms both facing the front and back of the building and both were very quiet.

We have stayed at this motel multiple times when in this area. Have always been happy with the accommodations Hotel staff recognizes us and treat us like old friends, very welcoming. Breakfasts are always interesting and fun to enjoy. Would like a decaffeinated black or green tea- don't care for herbals. Other than that personal preference, very enjoyable experience.

Hey yall. Capt Funtime here. This place was unfortunately a disappointment. Look, they have all the stuff in the pictures. And we did use the electric car charger which was nice. The price of the rooms where as much as a stay in Hawaii. The walls are thin so you hear everything. The pool and spa which photograph well where broken. The rooms where not cleaned unless you ask. I don't know folks. For $500 bucks for two nights I expect better. Maybe if you can get a deal for $89 bucks or something. Using their language, "My expectations where not exceeded". Ye be warned!!

My rescue dog and therapy dog in training was just BANNED from Best Western Wesley Inn and Suites! My first visit to this hotel was in 2011 just before I first moved to Gig Harbor. Since then my family and friends stayed there multiple times and even chose this hotel for our annual family reunion this past fall. (Spending upwards of $10,000 in the process) While not a luxury hotel by any means, the rooms are generally clean and comfortable and the central Gig Harbor location can't be beat. The hotel advertises itself as "pet friendly" but what happened to me yesterday left me speechless and shaken. I help run a non-profit pet rescue and one of my dogs is in training to become a certified therapy dog. Since we live close by, about once a week we would make a quick walk through the hotel in order to give the dog new experiences and build his confidence. My dog is a very well mannered teddy bear and was always greeted warmly by the hotel guests and staff, so much so he would perform tricks for the front desk staff for treats! So imagine my shock when the hotel's owner confronted me in a most hostile way. As I was walking through the lobby the lady behind the front desk (the owner) asked me if I was a guest. I explained that while not staying there now, my family and I had spent dozens of nights on the property in the past several years. She yelled at me "I can't have you on my property!" I was so dumbfounded I didn't know how to respond. I asked her if she CAN'T have me on her property or if she didn't WANT me on her property. She just snapped at me once again in an even louder voice said "I can't have you on my property! Leave the property!" I was stunned! It wasn't just WHAT she said, it was HOW she said it. There was so much rage in her voice and was completely emotionless, almost like she was enjoying the encounter. Keep in my that my dog has never barked, growled, slobbered or exhibited any aggressive behavior, unlike the owners Lhasa Apso who roams unsupervised throughout the entire property including the parking lot! You would think someone in the SERVICE industry might have a little more tact by saying something like: I'm truly very sorry sir but due to safety concerns I'm afraid only current guests are invited to bring their animals on the premises. But no, the hotel's owner showed a complete lack of common decency. I take NO pleasure writing a negative review of this hotel but I was so shaken by her rude and demeaning comments that I felt compelled to share my story. Actions have consequences and I have informed my family and friends of what happened to me and my dog. We will NOT be holding our 2016 family reunion at this hotel (7-10 rooms for 4 nights) nor will my company sponsor any event having anything to do with this hotel.

This hotel is quite nice when you drive up. It gives you the feel of a bed and breakfast. the entry way decor is warm and welcoming. The wonderful woman at the front desk was awesome! Thanks Kathy! I stayed in a suite which was quite large with a kitchen area and a fireplace, It was very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and seemed to be crafted with care. I was in the area on business and looking forward to returning for leisure.

On a recent trip to Gig Harbor we stayed at the Wesley Inn and Suites...mostly because we were familiar with Best Western...knew Best Western would at the very least be above "adequate" ... The Wesley Inn and Suites was so far about adequate I was amazed...we have stayed in five star resorts that did not have the level of service we received... The rooms are modern and clean...the staff amazingly friendly and beyond accommodating.. Seldom do I take the time to write a hotel review, but I had to this time...I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and we WILL stay there on our next trip to the Harbor.

Our room was conveniently located on the 2nd floor. It was very clean and had all the amenities we could want. It was quiet and the bed was excellent. There were bathroom toiletries each day, a hair dryer, coffee maker, microwave, and mini-frig. We had chocolates each night. The wifi service was excellent. The staff are all very warm and friendly. Our room was made up quickly each day.

The service was great, the rooms were ok. I was expecting the rooms to be a little nicer from the pictures online. It looked updated but not recently updated and the finishing work and details were not very good. There was still old carpet left in the closet which surprised me. The outside of the hotel was just as beautiful as I expected, very welcoming. Overall, very happy with our stay.

This hotel, though far from home, has earned the title "favorite hotel" of our family - dog friendly too! The morning breakfast bar has a variety of hot foods, cold cereal, freshly cut fruit, breads (with toasters available) and several types of hot and cold beverages available. The icing on the cake, the breakfast eating area compares to a nice restaurant - beautiful views of the outside and comfortable tables. Just so I don't forget there were three types of complimentary newspapers available to take with me!

I checked in with my husband to a Fireplace/Jacuzzi/balcony suite over the weekend. The hotel is beautiful and you can tell that a lot of time went into it to make it look beautiful. The rooms are huge and the beds are better than Westin's bed which is what they mostly known for. The breakfast was great and hot and there was a lot of different selections to meet all picky eaters needs. I wish I could live here.

The location is easy to get to from the main highway from Tacoma north up the Kitsap Peninsula. Grounds are pleasant and park like. Lobby is spacious yet warm and inviting. checkin was fast and efficient. Room was large and nicely appointed for both business and leisure use. Shower was excellent with great water pressure and perfect temperature. Bed was to die for. Best sleep in ages. Room was quite. Breakfast was "typical" but I'm not a fan of buffet breakfasts. Oatmeal was very good and selection of other items seemed better than average.

First class hotel from start to finish. Quality property with quality staff. With the exception of a rogue alarm clock in a vacant adjacent suite, this property checked all the boxes for me The breakfast is as one would expect from a hotel with no on site restaurant, but it is acceptable. As part of an on-going company project, this was the go-to spot for our entire team when staying in the Gig Harbor area. Our team had a lot of requests and needed a lot of flexability with schedules and conference room spaces and the staff at this hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us and they greatly exceeded our expectations! The customer service and professionalism was like no other! Weather you are going there for buisness or pleasure I HIGHLY recommend this hotel! This hotel will meet your every need and more! They have excellent meeting spaces, very nice rooms with fireplaces, and the staff is extremely accomodating and hospitable. They are so much better than other hotels in the area!

Great location for a stay in the Gig Harbor area. Unless you want a bed & breakfast, this is the place to stay. Great staff, better than average hot breakfast, and a very quiet location. Gig Harbor is a fun little area that is growing. Just a short drive from Tacoma across the narrows bridge. North is, Paulsbo, and access to the Olympic Pennsiua.

We found this place to be very nice , clean and the staff was helpful . The rooms were nice sized felt very comfortable staying here . We chose to order pizza from dominos ( IT WAS GREAT ) and it arrived fresh and hot. We will stay here again in future.

"Wierd Housekeeping, but nice place"

Gig Harbor is awesome, hotel is conveniently located. Nice room and clean. Great price for the room. Stayed in a King room, bed was pretty firm and I woke with a sore shoulder. Pillows were extra fluffy. First room I've ever stayed in where housekeeping did not replenish everything. Weird. If you want things replenished or want extra coffee, you should try asking the front desk. We did not tip housekeeping. Make sure you eat at Net Shed 9 and try the Surprise Margarita at Pueblitos on Harborview Drive. Service gets 50% because of housekeeping.

The hotel staff is amazing and the location has been perfect for our business conference and meetings. The rooms are very clean and comfortable the food is great (Betsy is awesome), but the part that sets this place apart from the rest is the friendly hotel staff. They really do care about you.

Outstanding customer service, totally exceeded expectations! Very comfortable room and a genuinely friendly staff willing to accommodate any need/request. Impeccably clean!!! This is one of our favorite Best Western Hotels. It's conveniently located near shopping and downtown Gig Harbor without the high rates. The rooms are oversized with a nice kitchenette perfect for multiple-day stays. Also, the beds are very comfortable.

I use this particular hotel in Gig Harbor every time I go there. I am always treated well, sleep well and enjoy my stay. The owners and staff are all amazing and I could never say enough good things about how caring and helpful and professional each of them is. Breakfast items are always tasty and the coffee is rich and abundant. The hotel is nicely appointed and kept up. It is pet friendly also, which is a plus now that we have a pup.

The location in Gig Harbor is great. The people at the front desk are very attentive. The morning breakfast was good quality. The bed was very firm. The room was clean and neat. We have stayed at this motel every time we have come to Gig Harbor and always been very satisfied with the service and cleanliness of the rooms. The bed in this past room was very firm and I think you can request different firmness of beds. I will ask for a less firm bed next time.

"Made Me Rethink Best Western"

The room was fabulous, the mattress comfortable. It was extra great to have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and sink in the room. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfasts were delicious with eggs uniquely prepared. The coffee was excellent and I helped myself to a second cup which is rare for me in hotels. We liked our stay so much the first time on a Sunday night that we returned on the following Friday night when we returned to the Seattle area. General Manager, Sue was very helpful and Parker, the hotel dog, was engaging.

Clean, mostly. Bathroom shower head shows brown stains. Good water pressure. Bed pillows were horrible. Room was sterile, lacked color or wall hangings. Complimentary breakfast was tasteless with diluted eggs. Front desk was helpful. Sleep quality was good. Place was quiet.

Nice family atmosphere and customer friendly staff in the city of Gig Harbor, Washington State. Comfortable rooms and reasonably priced. Also dog friendly. Their own dog, Parker, usually roams the premises and they even have a Parker look alike toy dog in every room.

This hotel was so clean and well cared for. We stayed three nights and was impressed from the time we checked in until the time we left. The rooms were large and very clean. Breakfast was above average. Great location and one of the best hotels we have stayed at.

Reasonably priced. Large room with one king bed. Bathroom could use a little updating. Excellent location to the waterfront. Decent breakfast, nothing exciting, but had essentials: yogurt, fruit, cereals, standard eggs, sausage. Would stay there again. Be aware, if you book through Trip Advisor you won't get your Best Western reward points.

We used to stay other places in Tacoma when visiting our son at Puget Sound. A friend recommended this place and it is awesome. Clean rooms, good service, friendly staff, great place to stay. Close to a couple of really cool places to eat or grab a beer. Really recommend staying here on the Gig Harbor side of things when visiting this area of Washington.

We stayed in one of the suites for an evening away from the kids to celebrate our anniversary. The Staff was great, had several wish us a happy anniversary. Room was great, and had everything we expected. Lobby and building was nice and very close to many local restaurants, movie theater, and pubs.

Very well maintained inn with some special amenities. Great location in a quiet area and close to shopping and restaurants. The added breakfast was very good and saved going somewhere in the morning for breakfast as there was not a restaurant close to walk to for that meal. If the weather had been warmer I might have opted for a swim in the morning before other activities. In all, a lovely facility for a stay in Gig Harbor.

"Nice facility"

.We stayed for a Sunday Night in a pet friendly room. (Why do hotels charge more for a pet--$20-- but not more for rambunctious children?) Anyway the room was small but clean and modern and close to an exterior door, however the "pet" area was at the far end away from the door so not very convenient and the door is locked (nice night feature for security) at night and you must pass through the lobby anyway. The hot breakfast is served in a bright and pleasant room and was typical American light breakfast. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The facility is equipped to service small conventions (approximately 250) and gatherings in several meeting rooms and there is plenty of parking for guests and visitors. The location is convenient to the highway (WA-16) and modern shopping mall and the historic downtown is a short drive or bus ride. In spite of its location to a major highway it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and is moderately small. This is a good place to stay when in or visiting Gig Harbor which in itself is a great destination.

Wonderful staff and very beautiful grounds. WE enjoyed our 3 day stay and then two weeks later a 2 day stay. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with something for everyone. The rooms are very well appointed and decorate nicely. It was extremely clean and relaxing. We will be returning soon.

My hubby and I ALWAYS stay at this hotel when we are in Gig Harbor. It has comfortable beds, a GREAT breakfast and the most helpful staff of any hotel anywhere. It is located central to so many great places and activities and has really great freeway access. If I could rate it higher than ten, I certainly would.

Everyone and everything was perfect. We felt right at home. Highly recommend for the friendly and knowledgeable staff. It was very clean, food was excellent and checking in and out was very easy. There was a pool and hot tub that was very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable.
