Hotel Kymaia, WorldHotels Crafted

On Oaxaca’s Pacific coast, the landscape sets a slower rhythm: open sky, ocean air, and natural textures that draw attention back to the present. Set at Playa El Puertecito in Valdeflores Colotepec, near Puerto Escondido, Hotel Kymaia, WorldHotels Crafted is an adults-only retreat shaped around privacy, considered design, and a close connection to its surroundings. Settle into one of 22 suites conceived as serene, private escapes, with categories that open toward ocean or garden settings. Days can move easily between the beach, the pool, and Azumi’s wellness experiences, where yoga, meditation, guided temazcal ceremonies, sauna, and ice baths bring ancestral practices into conversation with contemporary rituals. It is the kind of setting where the sound of the waves can become part of the pause, whether you are beginning the morning with movement or letting the afternoon unfold without a schedule. At the table, Oaxaca provides the point of departure. Septimus, Huachinango Bar, and La Cueva each interpret local and seasonal ingredients through a distinct atmosphere, from the open palapa to a more intimate, immersive dining space. The hotel’s connection with Pueblo del Sol also carries Oaxacan craft into the stay through handmade ceramics, artisanal cosmetics, and ingredients grown through a regenerative project. Choose Kymaia when the purpose of the trip is to reconnect through design, food, wellness, and the elemental beauty of the coast, then let Oaxaca set the pace.
