We booked a hotel over the weekend for an out if town funeral we had to attend. When we arrived at the hotel, Surestay Best Western, Prince Frederick, the hotel representative informed us that they did not have the 4 beds and adjoining rooms available that we had reserved. He tried to offer us 2 rooms with only 1 bed in each room, but there were 5of us, so it wouldn't have been possible for all of us to have a place to sleep. We asked if he could refund us since he didnt have enough beds to accommodate us and he refused. He said that since we booked through a 3rd party, we needed to contact the 3rd party. We contacted the 3rd party and after much back and forth with the 3rd party and the hotel, the 3rd party said we should absolutely be refunded since the hotel wasn't able to give us what we paid for, but the hotel has to authorize the refund, and they would not. There was a cancelation policy on the reservation that stated that the reservation had to be canceled within 24 hours of checking, however, we had no idea until we actually checked in that the hotel didn't have the rooms available that we paid for. The 3rd party suggested that we dispute the charge since the hotel did not have the rooms available and did not give us what we paid for and were unable to accommodate enough beds for our group. We eventually just had to book another hotel for the night, and paid $330 and some change at the Surestay Best Western for rooms that we did not receive.

Everything was great. We had 3 rooms and they try to out put room near even having different types of rooms. Price was economical compare to other hotels around. Rooms were cleaned and they did service our room upon request and provided extra towels.

I do not recommend this hotel. Although under new ownership, it is still old and rundown. The family might live on site because the cooking smells permeated the halls and room. No elevator, no closet, no hair dryer. Back doors open all hours, allowing anyone to enter. Overall, a less than satisfactory stay.

Terrible hotel, dirty and the front desk staff rude and nasty. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very bad service. Gross with bugs. Breakfast terrible not even a real breakfast just some old muffins. Everything dirty and nasty. Do not recommend
