Strategic and very central location. Very beautiful hotel. Very large rooms. Excellent breakfast.
We had a very pleasant stay, and when we checked out, Leon was very friendly and helped us every step of the way. Thank you
The hotel is in a very central location, which made it really convenient for getting around and exploring the city. Leon, the doorman, helped us make sure our taxi was going to the right place and also helped us with our luggage. We really appreciated his kindness and assistance!
This hotel is perfectly positioned for visiting Beijing , it sits at the head of Wangfujing road which is a main shopping gift area , easy to access metro lines and the main line to Universal Beijing . All transport options link to the hurls and the hotel staff and consierge team are fantastic , special mention for Dylan The atmosphere throughout our stay of 10 days was second to none , and nothing was too much trouble and with patience both parties learn new language skills . The rooms were lovely we had a superior king room city view , it was silent even though it's on a busy main road throughout and welcome return with the brilliant aircon The bathroom was quite dated and could do with upgrading which was The only slightly negative point raised . Choice of food was in abundance and well presented and with a vast selection . If you can book this hotel I would you will not be disappointed
Fabulous location, very comfortable bed, welcoming staff. Ate breakfast one day, was Ok, but not good enough for a second day. Air conditioning was effective in the heat, and having a fridge in the room was a bonus.
Location is perfect, just 2 minutes walk from Wangfujing. Access to the rooms is a bit awkward. From the reception you need to take a long escalator, pass a long hallway before you reach the elevator to the guestrooms. Breakfast was very good.
I stayed at this hotel 3 times over a 5 week trip to China. Its very central and good value as the rooms are decent size and fairly modern. Its a busy hotel though, lots of tour groups and room turn over is really high. The main positives, location, price, size of room, mostly friendly staff, good house keeping and convenience store within the building. On the house keeping they top up your water each day, change towels, make the beds etc. Its a good level of service and the staff are also very polite and happy which is nice to see. BIG shout out to Popeye on concierge and Jack. Both were very helpful and are a credit to the hotel. The staff in the Spa were also very friendly. The main negatives. The door slamming. It did get a bit tiresome after a while. The door closing mechanism is very strong and some guests just fully open the door and then let go... massive bang at 6am. Over and over. There is quite a bit of smoking in the hotel, I get it that its China and smoking is normal there but just be aware. The AC. Its very hit and miss, we had a room where it worked perfectly and then two where it really struggled. Room service. Again hit and miss. We had it a few times and some nights it was really very good, others it was verging on not edible. Its a lottery. Lastly, reception (not Concierge) could be quite difficult to deal with. They would immediately try and slow your roll if there was a problem with the "no understand" or just confused looks. Its a 5 star hotel so English is generally expected to at least a basic level. Anyway - it wasn't a big deal but just worth mentioning as it could be frustrating and I did see a couple of times other people having the same problem. They just want to check you in / out and thats it - which I get. So overall, its decent. I would actually go back without hesitation because of the decent rooms and the location. There are a few niggles, noisy and quality control on the room service is shocking but its China. If it was $300+ a night I would be upset but at sub $150 a night you cant really complain.
I had an amazing stay at Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Beijing. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of many major attractions. I also wanted to experience local daily life, so I used the nearby metro (just a 2-minute walk). While the map may look complex at first, it's actually very easy to navigate—no need for taxis or ride-hailing apps. One of my favorite areas was Wangfujing Street. In the evenings, the street comes alive with locals enjoying karaoke, folk dancing, and group exercise sessions. It's not commercialized—just people coming together for fun. I even joined in one night; it felt a bit like Zumba and was a great experience! At the hotel, every single staff member contributed to making my stay memorable. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed with genuine smiles and kind words about my journey. It wouldn't be fair to single anyone out because everyone played their part so well. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and maintained daily. Our housekeeper was an absolute gem—always cheerful and kind. Even though we relied on a translator app most of the time, she made every interaction pleasant. I also enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The Chinese dishes were fantastic—full of flavor and variety. Western options are available, but when in Beijing, why not embrace the local cuisine? The swimming pool and spa were a real bonus, especially after a long day visiting Great Wall of China (or as it's known locally, “the Long Wall”). It was the perfect way to relax and unwind. To all the staff at Sunworld Dynasty—thank you for such a wonderful stay. If China remains visa-free for UK travelers in 2027, I'll definitely return, possibly adding Shanghai to my trip—and I would absolutely stay here again. On a less positive note, my final experience with the taxi arranged by the hotel was disappointing. I had been told the fare to the airport would not exceed HKD 100 and that the driver would accept Alipay. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The driver (vehicle B-DG3550) refused Alipay and demanded CNY 250, ultimately taking CNY 270 from me in a very aggressive manner. The situation escalated, and I chose not to pursue it further to avoid conflict. I only hope that the money went to something worthwhile like food for his family from the money that he literally stole from me.
Impressed by the large room and very clean. Staffs were very helpful. I thought I forgot stuff in the room and they were quick response. Thx so much, Rebecca Rebacca
We boooked this hotel for our spring break and are very glade for our choice, the location is very close to metro station and shopping mall such as APM. It's right at the end of the famous shopping street wangfujing, and about 2 blocks away from the palace. The room we were assigned was in excellent condition, facing east side away from the street, our package come with daily breakfast and refresh of mini bar with 4 bottle of waters Breakfast was a highligh to us, it was both delicious and covered numbers of local dishes, it's a small feast for us every morning. The hotel has its own gym and swimming pool which were not crowed and nicely maintained.
The hotel is 5 star, and it feels so. Spacious room, large well equipped gym, well maintained pool. 2 free water bottles per person provided each day in the room, as well as some free soft drinks/a beer on the first day. When you visit the gym/pool, you are given a locker and use of sliders and a towel (robes provided in the room). There is also a steam sauna in the changing area, and a massage service, eg c£40 for full body massage without oils. The breakfast room was spacious, with lots of choices, including dim sum, wonton soup and a variety of pasties/fresh waffles. There is a 7/11 just across the road, as well as a 24 hour cash machine. Used Didi (like Uber) for ordering taxis most places as very cheap. Used Alipay to pay for most things, which is helpful as some places don't take card. Recommend the Peking Duck and Hot Pot restaurants just a few mins walk away.
From the moment we arrived, Sunworld impressed: soundproof rooms, ergonomic desks, and 24/7 room service. Located steps from key meetings—productivity met pampering seamlessly.
Stayed at a superior room at 5th level. Though there were ongoing construction within the hotel during stay; not much inconvenience experienced. However, the temporary check in area may be overcrowded at times. Sound insulation was good.
We stayed here for 5 nights, the room was very well equipped with bath, shower, bath robe, slippers etc & the bed was very comfortable. A few TV channels in English & a selection of movies. The hotel is large & as such we had one extremely unpleasant breakfast experience. No tables, no glasses, no cutlery & limited food, thankfully this was only on one morning. Breakfast on other mornings was good, lots of choice both Chinese & western & the staff were helpful. The location for us was excellent, walking distance to Tiananmen Square & close to line 8 & 5 metro stations. Lots of restaurants & shops close by, there is a gym & pool but we did not use the pool due to having to wear a swim hat. Enjoyable stay!
The hotel is located in busy downtown Beijing. It's very central to lots of malls and a pedestrian only shopping strip. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Negatives Hotel is currently being renovated so noisy during the day. I did not know this as i booked months earlier. However they did inform me a week or so before we arrived. For some reason they did not let us put room service dining to our room. We had to pay every single time. We had a do not disturb on our door and at midnight room service rang our door bell while we were sleeping and the order was not for our room. Room dining was average so its best to go outside for a meal You have to wear a swimming cap in the pool so you had to buy one or you couldn't use it. Pool also had cameras everywhere so didn't feel comfortable having people in a room looking at us while we swam and relaxed. Only used the pool once because of this. We had noisy neighbours with kids running up and down the floor. TV only had a couple of news channels in english and movies were only a handful of good ones and the rest D grade movies you never heard of. We had to watch movies over and over again or the depressing news channels. You could stream however was advised to follow their laws so no Netflix, Apple TV or YouTube using their wifi Positives English speaking front desk Great location You could buy toiletries and robes from front desk 4 bottles of water given daily Hotel is new Smelt great everyday Had double windows so you could not hear street noise
Hotel is centrally located from main sites. However hotel is undergoing renovations which impact on their ability to provide evening dining. I'm not sure it can be classed as five star as a little dated in parts.
Our team thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunworld Hotel Wangfujing. Centrally located, it made client meetings effortless. The rooms were sleek and quiet—perfect for late-night prep. Staff responded promptly, and the breakfast buffet offered both local and international options. A solid choice for business travelers who value convenience and calm.
Amazing hotel in the heart of Beijing with good access to everything you need as a tourist. The breakfast was fresh and tasty everyday. The service of the staff was also spot on in every department and the location is just on the middle of the city with all shopping centers and many restaurants around
Hotel is right on Wangfujian. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Breakfast quality and variety are very good. Only downside: after reception you first need to take escalators to get to the elevators to the rooms. Hotel is big, so it may take a short walk before you get to your room. Luckily there is staff everywhere to help you with luggage.
We are from Indonesia, we have stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, the staff is amazing at helpful. Very easy check in process and they came tou our room when we needs things to ask. The housekeeping is nice and always give whatever we need. We love the room and the location. The food in the restaurant is not expensive compare fo the restaurant we had been outside the hotel. During the check out, Boris, the name of the receptionist gave us some souvenirs... We are all happy staying at this hotel.
We originally went to another Sunworld hote which was 50m from where we were, I'd wish I'd booked that one. Checking was fine, took a 300cyn deposit which was strange as it was supposed to be a 5☆ hotel. Went to Room which was 25 degrees so put aircon to 20, we went out on return we noticed it was still 25 degrees so though electric went off when left room and removed card. Put air-conditioning fan on high but it stayed 25-26 all night and being from UK it was way too hot, managed to get 2hr sleep. In the morning I was in a right mood, went to reception and told them I needed it fixed or a room move. He said il get you fan, I told him no fan, get it fixed or a room move, he said OK. Had some breakfast of just toast which is all I have coffee was just passable. Went to room and someone was taking a fan in. I didn't have time to go back to see him as tour guide was waiting g for us for our trip to Great wall. When we got back late nothing had been done except a fan, totally unacceptable. It was late and so we persevered again, window was locked due to construction work outside or maybe it was locked all the time, there was no handle on the window. The swimming pool was out of order which was not informed to us prior to booking and after booking. There is no bar area, you have to use executive lounge and the girls there were great. We couldn't wait to get out of there today 5☆ no chance 3☆ at best
Location is fantastic. Served by 2 subway lines and going places was easy. Ditched Didi as traffic was bad and subway travel was cheap (RMB 3/Pax) to major attractions (Lama temple, Nanguluo xiang, Temple of Heaven). Please get hotel map from concierge and good for moving around. Wafujing was behind hotel. The famous duck restaurant Quanjude was within walking distance. Absolutely a joy to move around! From mid Oct onwards, no central conditioning and relied on open window for natural air. We found the room stuffy and we had portable fan (check in 1-3 Nov). Room was newly renovated, bright and clean. Hotel breakfast (2nd floor) was OK and food choice and quality was average, just to fill stomach. Elevator access card and room access card, 2 sets. Diamond tier. Trip member., enjoyed late check out 2pm. Simply best location to stay in Beijing!
