Best Western York Inn

Stayed with a family member on Thanksgiving weekend. The location was easy to get to and easy to get to where I wanted while there. The hotel itself is nothing fancy, but is clean and comes with a complimentary breakfast

Nice hotel for a single night. Nice clean room with comfortable beds. The bathroom had everything you need. The breakfast was OK. There were no problems with getting a parking space lots of Spaces in front and on the back of the building. What more do you need when you're on a road trip.

Exceptional water pressure, big waterfall shower head. Also the shampoo and conditioner were top notch. Then the lotion had my skin soft for days. I would have preferred if it was pet friendly, but would stay again.

I should have refused to stay in the first place because upon arriving there was no power. I had work to do and had to travel to another township to get the internet access I needed to do my work. The power was restored later when I returned and during that time my stay was more or less comfortable. The room was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. During breakfast was another story though. The power was out AGAIN so I had to get something at a restaurant elsewhere in another town if I wanted anything hot. A discount was promised yet over $200 charged to my credit card for a basic room in an out of the way town. I wouldn't trust to stay here again, I had a better night at the Sure Stay by the Albany airport for half the price on the previous night.

room was very comfortable, clean, spacious, good layout but for our specific needs, very restricted on food, lack of a microwave or ability to get one in the room was inconvenient. (how stupid to REQUIRE 200 characters for the review. For that and too much cute political correctness you lose a bubble on overall rating, my partner was my spouse but no option for that)

This hotel is way overpriced for the Motel 6 experience we had! The room smelled like a nursing home and it was so bad that it was hard to get to sleep. The shower was lukewarm, never heated up, and the pressure was so low, half the water continued pouring from the lower faucet. The people that work here are nice. But it is not worth the money!

Hotel and room was very clean. Staff was very nice. Had no issues except would have liked room to be serviced daily as we had to ask for towels daily. Enjoyed having the coffee machine available all day long.

I was disappointed about the quality and cleanliness of the rooms compared to other Best Western hotels I've stayed in. Our first room had dirty laundry in it and the bathroom door was damaged. The second room on the ground floor was musty smelling and damp. The third room on the second floor was ok. The hallways and stairwells smelled badly. The breakfast area was small and crowded. The staff was just your very basic friendly but not overwhelming. A room and hotel in this condition is not worth $ 300 a night!

Recently, we stayed here for 6 days on a trip with our friends because of its good location from which to visit the beaches & surrounding towns. (I will preface this review with the fact that almost 3 weeks earlier, we returned from a 2-week trip to California where we had great experiences in 2 Best Westerns). We checked in and were assigned room 107. We walked through a couple of musty smelling hallways & 3 fire doors until we finally got to our room which was close to the end of the hotel. Opened the door to be hit by a bad smell like a wet dog, room felt damp & everything in that room smelled, sheets, towels-back to the lobby (the man at front desk who said his name was Mike had no idea why there was a smell), and after looking at another room with same issue, we ended up in room 233 which was better. We were able to open the window & after a few days it took care of the little smell that was there. In all our travels, we have never experienced this problem with hotel rooms. Room was a good size, mattresses were ok, but furniture looked worn & should be replaced, bathroom obviously had been renovated & was very nice with strong water pressure from a waterfall shower head. Breakfast was not very good, especially since they never changed the egg or meat selection (scrambled eggs, sausage & hash browns), same mini danish & muffins, apples & oranges (never bananas-we asked), cereal (Cheerios were stale) and a pancake machine that was a joke-1 small, very thin pancake at a time. Other BW's make 2 much larger at one time & switch hot food selections. Majority of guests are staying here for more than one night and they need more variety in their breakfasts. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience at this location and hope that they can correct the issues mentioned.

Easy booking done directly with hotel, no third party needed. Greeted with awesome customer service. Rooms are simple, breakfast included. Easy location near everything. And affordable. Didn't really want to share as this is our go to. Our secret spot

We love Ogunquit but don't want to pay those prices to sleep in the height of the season. $300+ a nite and multiple night minimums most times. Decided to stay a bit out of town and found the the Best Western in York was perfect. Not a high end hotel but clean, comfortable and very friendly people at the desk. Great full complimentary breakfast. Only a short drive to coast. Would def recommend stay here if just want a good nights sleep!

Every thing was smooth sailing. Our room was nice and clean. We were there for a summer holidays and the Mr Dev at the front desk were really nice and made sure we were accommodated. It was one of best stays I've had in a long time. Thank you staff for making us feel at home❤️ We will definitely be back.

Spent a Sunday night while on a road trip. Hotel common areas and our room were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot, plenty of options and filling. Price was right. We checked in late evening and out after breakfast so can't comment on the area. Trip advisor made me ramble for at least 200 characters, even though 120 would have done the trick.

A nice Hotel with a very good free breakfast. The queen size room was a little small, but we were only staying 1 night so it was okay. We were within a fifteen minute travel to York short beach and York long beach

If you are looking for a quiet location that is a short drive from all the local sights, Best Western on Brickyard Road is the place for you. My friend and I stay here every time I go the Ogunquit Playhouse. Huge rooms. Comfy mattresses and pillows, nice soaps, and a very ample breakfast buffet.

nice 1 night stay, booked during the day w a senior rate, one queen bed on the first floor, when we arrived it was clean, but No toiletries? they gave us a shampoo& body wash & soap. frig, & coffee maker. coffee w flavors in the lobby , bed was very comfy, air conditioning worked .breakfast. was nice , keep stocked with pancakes, danish, yogart, bagels/ cream cheese, juices& apples did not get to use pool.

We used this hotel for driving along the Atlantic Coast. So go for a lobster roll. Nice hotel in York, easy access from highways. just outside the city. Nice friendly staff and hot breakfast in the morning. Big rooms

Clean facility, Staff pleasant and helpful, great breakfast. I have been staying at this BW for some time. The renovations they made really improved what was already a great place to stay . After the first time I stayed here, I decided to join the BW Rewards program, Now that I am retired, I look forward to staying at other Best Westerns in other areas in the US.

We stayed there a couple days ago as part of a road trip, and the facilities were just what we needed. Clean, everything works, solid WiFi, easy in and out. Bed comfortable - The breakfast was even better than expected. Highly recommend if you're not in need of a resort or 5 star facilities, but really want to stay in a solid place.

Fast and easy check in, great breakfast and clean rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful and Hotel has a very nice pool and fitness room. Central location and ample parking. Safe location and security.

The location is well suited to plenty of activities and places to eat. The surrounding area was very quiet. The room was comfortable. I enjoyed being to make coffee in the room and storing a few thing in the fridge

Hotel is conveniently located not far from the beach and also within nice proximity to shopping, restaurants, etc. Hotel is very clean and staff was polite. Breakfast was enjoyable. Rooms are spacious.

Car was broken into. Someone stole food. Used and new clothes. Shoes. Empty purse. Car registration and other items. When I approached the staff at the hotel for help they were very rude and unprofessional. I wanted them to check their inside cameras at least as they do not have outside ones. They said they would and call me back hours went by with no response I called back and you could clearly tell they didn't check they just didn't wanna deal with me. Filed a police report as my personal information was stolen. Was told this happens alot here as they house homeless people in maine at this hotel and it's a high theft hotel. If I knew this I'd never stay there. I went back to the hotel to see if my stuff was dumped on the dumpster or near the parking lot or road. Staff was still rude the lady at the desk rolled her eyes at me and seemed like I was annoying her. My guess is this does happen a lot and they don't wanna deal with it. They still wouldn't check cameras. They also didn't wanna answer any of my questions. And I didn't even ask for a discount or anything on my over $1000 bill for the week! The least you could do is help your guest that you are supposed to care about. My child's school stuff was stolen from the car. At least be nice to your guest!!

Everything about the hotel was fantastic with the exception of the mattresses being extremely firm. I didn't sleep as well as I was hoping, but the breakfast, pool, and gym are fantastic. The staff is very helpful kind and courteous!

My husband, our 11-month-old daughter, and myself were booked to stay at the Best Western in York, ME for a quick family vacation. When researching hotels, this place had mixed reviews, but I figured that it would probably be fine for 2 nights. I was totally wrong. Our check-in experience was fine, our room was relatively clean, and we enjoyed the pool that evening; however, upon going to bed, we heard our neighbor blasting his TV so loudly that we could hear the dialogue from 10-12:30pm. When my husband went to the front desk at 10:30pm to see if the hotel had quiet hours, he was told by the front desk staff that they wouldn't ask the person next door to turn the volume down on his TV unless it was on after midnight. They didn't even come down to our room to check the noise level. We left the next day (missing one of the two nights we paid for), but were still charged for 2 nights. Go stay somewhere else. This place wasn't worth the trouble.

We chose this hotel because it was a three day weekend and other hotels were even more overpriced than this one. Lesson learned! You get what you pay for. Never had a room that smelled this bad, ever, and I travel a lot. Would never stay here again!.

Although dated, it was a clean, comfortable room and offered a free hot breakfast. The staff were all so friendly and full of smiles. I enjoyed the proximity to the ocean without having to pay ocean view pricing !

New motel, exceptionally clean inside and out, lots of parking space, Very friendly and professional staff. Great hot and cold breakfast. Large clean swimming pool, exercise room. Large room with plenty of furniture. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Restaurants and shops close by. Shot drive to beaches and shops.

The place was nice and clean. Amenities were nice as well as including breakfast. The facility is well located. Relatively cheap considering its location. It's a 5 minute drive to the closest beach, 10 minutes to the Kittery Outlets and 15 minutes to Portsmouth.

Exterior/Lobby/bathrooms were updated nicely but rooms were circa 1990 with beds from the same era. Staff was super friendly and hotel in general was clean. Breakfast accommodations were mediocre, your basic cold eggs/sausage but there was bagels/toast/cereal/hot and cold drinks

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. We did not take advantage of any of the amenities as our time was limited. It was well priced and would stay again when in the area. The hotel was close to many restaurants and shops as well as the coast.

This property seems well run with friendly helpful staff. Fairly clean and easy to access property. One problem was the AC/heat unit was very noisy and had to be shut off during the night. Breakfast normal. Good value.

It was a great stay for my husband, daughter, and I. We may have gotten the front staff on a bad day on the second night. Otherwise they were polite! The room appeared clean until the last day we found chewing tobacco pouches under the bed (my 14 month old got a hold of it).

Love the area! We have stayed at all kinds of BW'S and must say they were wonderful....this one was ok. Construction going on for a much needed renovation our stay could have been better. Pool was beautiful but cold in the room itself.Also needs a dressing room and shower.

The BW York Inn is a clean and welcoming spot in southern ME. We needed to get off the roads during a snowstorm. We called the BW from I 95 and explained our situation. The lovely lady at the reception desk got us a room, gave us directions from the highway to the hotel, and was waiting at the door upon our arrival. We were so grateful to get off the treacherous road and find a warm, comfortable, and welcoming place.

We stay at the Best Western every time we go to Maine to visit. It's consistently great. Clean rooms, good breakfast and a nice pool. The staff working the front desk make check in and check out simple and quick.

I was on vacation and needed a place to sleep not much else to say. Room was clean internet was ok. Location well it's MAINE what do you expect I'm from the woods so I knew you had to travel to everything

Each time I'm in York, I always stay at the York Best Western. Quick check-in, Clean and Quite Rooms, Friendly Sraff. York Maine is a pretty coastal town with Post Card views ay every turn. Put York and the local Best Western on your calendar.

Terrific staff, room very clean with a hot and nice pressure shower. Quiet. Great breakfast. With plenty of variety to choose from. Fast and easy check in and out. Being a weekday had the heated pool all to myself

Good location, facility was clean and well maintained, nice comfy room, staff were knowledgably, professional and cared about my safety and health, very good value for a quality facility where you can get a good nights rest.

Checked many hotels in area and this BW was best price considering it was the end of the summer. Thought all prices around were a bit high as there was not much open in the immediate area after 8 PM but we were close to tourist areas if we wanted to travel about 15 mins. Hotel was clean. Beds/pillows were comfortable but there was no extra blanket or pillow in cupboard. Had to ask for additional washcloths at front desk. No housekeeping services on weekend. Bathroom, sleeping area and halls could use updating. Shower and A/C were great. Breakfast was good considering COVID restrictions. Would stay again if in the area.

I would say none of the previous reviews are surprising. I could see people having decent stays here or finding a blood stain on a sheet (like we did). Here are some basics to know: 1. The night staff on 9/24 were friendly and professional. 2. Our room was mostly clean and quite large (2 queens) with lots of extra space. 3. Bathroom was clean with modern fixtures. 4. Hallways were musty smelling and carpets seemed dirty. Especially back stairs. 5. Didn't use any facilities or try breakfast. 6. The location is extremely safe, well lit, close to food and Kittery outlets (3 miles?). So what's the problem?? The best price we could get for this motel was $168 + 35 taxes and fees!? Not the hotel's fault I guess. The rates in Maine and New England are just ridiculous this year. For our typical go to places they're charging $3-400 a night, and I refused to pay that York, ME. New York, NY, sure I get it, but not to use a bed for 7 hours. So I was glad to get in under $200, but just know, you're getting a 2 star motel for that price.

The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean and relaxing..Over all I would say it was the best Hotel I've stayed at in a long time. The location was not far from the beaches, restaurants, and shopping places. Make sure your next stay is at the Best Western and tell them Skip sent you.

Last minute trip, called direct & got a good price with AAA, check in quick , queen room on 1 st floor , air conditioner worked fine, drug& coffee maker. Bed was very comfy ! Our only problem was a trash truck came & emptied dumpster at 6 AM!! Very loud outside our window ! Breakfast was nice choices, egg& cheese sandwiches, pancakes,yogurt,,danish, cereal, overall nice stay

My husband and I stayed here one night on 9/18/21. We called the hotel directly a week before our arrival to request a first floor room to make things easier for my husband who is disabled. The lady I spoke with on the phone assured me we would get a first floor room. She was very nice and made me feel we had picked a good hotel. On our day of arrival parking was convenient, hotel was clean, gentlemen at the front desk was pleasant and very helpful, our room was indeed on the first floor, AC worked perfectly, we had plenty of towels, hot water was hot for an enjoyable shower and beds were comfortable. I will definitely be returning to this hotel and highly recommend it!!

Hotel is clean and is a short drive to the beach. The entrance is off the main road and they had plenty of parking. Breakfast is offered in the morning. There is a pool but no hot tub. This is the place for a no frills, comfortable stay.

The front desk clerk saw us come in with my 92-year-old mother-in-law. Automatically checked without telling us to see if the handicap room was available. It was available she assigned us to that room. I was so surprised to see how big the room was it was perfectly set up to accommodate any disability. When I went to tell her how satisfied and surprised I was and how big the room is that's when she told me when she saw my mother-in-law she automatically felt that was the room for us. I feel she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable she did not have to do that.

We chose this Best Western to stay on a Saturday night on the way to Kennebunkport since it was very convenient to the highway and had the amenities we needed (two queen beds, breakfast, wifi). It seems like a relatively new motel and the room was spacious and functional, but the place has not ambiance at all. Almost looks like an industrial building when you approach, hard to tell the main entrance other than a small overhang. No New England charm here, but it served our purpose and recommend it if you are looking for a "price performer" in the area.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fine. But the rooms, stairs and hallways were just dirty and the first floor rooms were really bad with broken fixtures. We asked to be moved after the 1st room and they moved us into another room slightly better but not really. Then we asked again and they moved us upstairs where there was no mildew on the lampshades or horrible smell in the air. It took us an hour to just get into an acceptable (sort of) room. The beds were comfortable.

I booked 4 rooms for my daughters wedding which was supposed to take place in August of 2020 for the band. I booked them through Hotels.com. When I tried to change them to 2021 I was told I could not do it which seemed silly seeing as we were in the middle of a pandemic. Finally after going back and forth between the manager and Hotels.com on the phone I went down to the hotel and at that time he agreed to let me change but there would be a $20.00 charge which I feel is taking advantage of a bad time that no-one had control over. But that said I agreed to the charge and had them put it on my credit card only to be charged $30.00 per room. They are terrible to do business with and there are plenty of other places to stay when you visit our beautiful town. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and stay elsewhere.

We travel every so often to visit friends in York, Maine and usually stay with them..When their home is full of family we've stayed at local hotels. This visit was for a wedding and we stayed at the YORK BW. I Was a little concerned because my husband booked the room with 1 queen bed and I was very worried about that as we were staying 4 nights and I'm an overpacker..in addition to a weather worrier.. Much to my delight, It was perfect! .. I had room for everything.. More room than a previous stay at a $$$$ waterfront hotel.. And Best Western is convenient to everything

I was trying to book a room for a wedding that I was attending and had trouble on the Internet so I had to call and book my room. I explain the Internet issues and the gentleman told me he would honor the price online for my reservation. When I arrive to check in they wanted to charge me $100 more then the agreed-upon price.

This hotel close to shopping, beaches and restaurants, less expensive than beachfront hotels in the area. My second stay here. Modern decor and a decent continental breakfast. Coffee is always available. Convenient to Long SandsBeach, Nubble Light and Kittery outlets.

There were dirty, ripped pants in the room. The rooms were outdated and the blankets were dirty The complimentary breakfast and lobby were somewhat decent. Front desk staff were nice. The overall price for the room was too high.

Great location in York. only minutes to 3 great beaches and close to various eateries. Hotel is reasonably priced , quiet and clean with friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return and have already booked for a couple of nights in October when York has a great Harvest Fest.

The lobby was clean and modern, with a good assortment of snacks and amenities. The check in and check out went smoothly and quickly. The room was spotlessly clean. The b ed was comfortable. Everything was exactly as I had hoped.

We are always happy with this location. Great people, clean and quiet accommodations. A nice place to venture out from into all that Maine has to offer. One of our favorite Best Westerns. We will continue to book here.

4th visit during this pandemic ,,, the people at the York Inn have been very accommodating,,, they are making the visit as easy as possible,,, thanks... Looking forward to this virus going away and really get to enjoy the York Inn

My husband belongs to the BW club and we only stay at BW when we travel. Much to our surprise they gave us an awful room #233 when we checked in. It smelled musty and like cat pee and had a very loud air conditioner. We asked to be switched and Lo and behold #231 right next door was perfect, no carpet so no smell. Beds soft and everything very clean. The COVID to go breakfast was sufficient but we did miss the normal breakfast. The coffee was super hot and fresh. I'm still amazed that they would book us into the crappy room, with taxes $142 a night is pretty steep for what we've normally paid at BW all around the country. So much for loyal customers, but I'm glad that they fixed the issue by giving us another room.

Stayed one night and my husband and I were very pleased with our room. We received our discount with no problem. We were offered their breakfast, which we enjoyed! The room seemed brand new and was very clean, nice linen and comfortable bed. I will definitely recommend this Best Western Motel to family and friends!

Our stay at york best western exceeded our expectations. We felt very safe with all the updates and precautions they had for covid. Sanitizers every where. Individually wrapped disposable coffee cups. Dave at check in sprayed down the luggage carrier for me. No touch check in, masks required. Just everything felt extremely safe and sanitized. I witnessed the front lobby a few times during my stay being cleaned and no housekeeping services which I appreciated but anything I needed was available. Customer service was top notch!

I went when they were in the middle of updating the room. The lobby had been updated. The pet peeve I have with this particular hotel is that they were reluctant to honor a lower price and it was off season with a lot of empty rooms. The staff at the front desk definitely treat different people differently. And that does not appeal to me. It is tough to travel alone but made even tougher when you sense it is not the norm for this area.

Very clean.... friendly staff!! Would visit again!! Easy to find...close to the beach and shopping!! We had such a wonderful mini vacation. Love staying at a hotel that doesn't make you cringe when you lay your head down!!

Not sure why everyone gives this a 4 star as I would only give 1 star. This is suppose to be a smoke free hotel. The queen room we had smelled of smoke and burn holes in the carpet. During Covid-19, I cleaned my way into the room. The bathroom towels were old and thin, plus did not match. Not in a bag but hanging on rack. (Stayed in another BW the night before and all towels were in sealed bag) Sheets were old and did not stay on the bed. No screens on the windows. Shower/tub was very slippery. No microwave in room. No grab and go breakfast or coffee until 7:30. Most travelers are on the road by 7:00. I was not offered the grab n go breakfast at check-in. As a loyal Best Western client, I will not stay here ever again. I was to tired from traveling or I would have stayed someplace else.

Only stayed one night, but the check in was very quick, and the room was exactly as expected. Checkout was no effort, and the staff went above and beyond to be helpful to me even after I checked out. My only complaints are that there are not great options for diabetics or those with lactose issues in the breakfast selections...especially for coffee service, and that there is not cold, filtered water available to the guests outside of breakfast hours. As a final tip, this hotel is not in a cellular dead zone, like the other hotel the next block over. The signal is weak, but it is there.

Feedback is always subjective.......maybe I stayed in a different room than you did. I can say my husband's and my two-night stay was great! Extremely clean bedding, comfortable sheets and super comfortable mattress! The hotel was not very busy when we stayed, we checked in on a Friday night and checked out Sunday morning. Our room was on the second floor. The HVAC unit does "turn on and off" which can be bothersome if you are a light sleeper. Our fix was to set it to fan so it just continuously circulated the air and stayed on. We weren't there for amenities so can't speak to that. The hottest water we've ever had in a hotel for showering! The only reason for me not rating it excellent was though the overall room was clean, when we walked in to room after checking in, we discovered a used facecloth had been left behind hanging on the shower rod.

We have stayed here several times and we just love it here! You always feel so welcome here. The staff are amazing and I have to say that Donna is so helpful and courteous and will make sure you are all set! It is a wonderful place. The rooms are so clean. The continental breakfasts are really great and always well stocked.

The room was extremely clean. Lobby was beautiful. Great location in York. My only disappointment was there was no microwave in the room. I had a queen size room and I've stayed in smaller rooms elsewhere that had both a fridge and microwave so that was surprising to me. (Since we were trying to save money we were looking to reheat some easy meals while there but couldn't) otherwise, great stay!

I had a free nights voucher for this hotel on our way north to ski in Maine. It was a decent hotel for the fee voucher. The AC/Heat unit was an old wall one and very loud.... I like white noise when sleeping however it drowned out the TV so it was annoying trying to watch TV. Also, there was a large hole in the bed comforter......But the room was clean and decent for the price it would be normally be as an average budget hotel

We have never stayed here before but it will defineatley be a place to stay in the future. The room was really clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable after a day of driving. The breakfast was really good and a good varitety to pick from. The staff was very friendly and check in and out was a breeze. We will defineatly stay here again

We enjoy staying at the York Best Western because of the excellent value and service that it provides. Donna at the service desk is friendly, courteous and has gotten used to our arrivals throughout the year. She also has a fantastic Mainer since of humor. I'm sure the manager is aware of the important role that she plays on the staff team.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Best Western could do a better job of training front desk staff to be able to better answer questions regarding room selection. This is not the only BW that I have experienced this.

We had a good experience at the hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. Everything was typical for a reasonably-priced hotel with a free breakfast, good wireless Internet, small fitness room, an indoor pool (that we didn't use), etc. Was surprised there was no recycling option in room, lobby, or even at the service desk when I asked. We did have a problem with an exposed sharp nail/staple in the carpet. We left a note on it and we got back, it looked like they had worked on it (i.e. didn't seem as sharp) but there was no message about the work. All in all, we would stay here again.

Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, quick and easy check in/check out and decent breakfast. Good location. It was pretty quiet - I didn't hear anyone else in the hallway. Definitely recommend!

Our first stop was at the best western York. The front desk service was great and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. After a 9 hour drive it is nice to have clean friendly accommodations. Breakfast was good and the staff were attentive. It is very close to Kittery outlets only about 10 minutes.

We stayed for just one night while shopping in Kittery area. Nice smooth check-in and no hastles using our Hotel Coupon discount. Room was not huge but had a comfy queen size bed and was spic and span, as was the bathroom. Flawless Wifi, good TV selection, and a mini-fridge plus a coffee maker. Breakfast started early and provided a decent selection of hot and cold items. Located just a few Km from the outlet shopping. Even with the heat switched off we found it a bit warm but the windows all open to the outside. Our location in the back was very quiet. A very restful sleep. We would definitely stay again.

I made reservations for 3 nights including a Sat, as we wanted to explore the nearby ocean towns. Thurs and Fri were quiet nights but not Saturday, what a terrible experience. A bus came with a group who was having a private party at the hotel. They literally took over the lobby and dining area. We wanted to sit downstairs by the fireplace but it was taken by some of the group and kids were running and screaming and playing in the hallway. Adults were not correcting them and allowed them to act like that, even the front desk people did not say anything. They also must have been cooking as the first floor and elevator smelled very bad. We went back to our room on the 2nd floor. Not much later some of the group came upstairs and stood in the hallway chatting with each other and once again there were young children running up and down screaming. They also must have had to bring food up to their rooms as the smell was now upstairs. It was so strong and disgusting. Even when we went to bed we could still smell that horrible odor. And some of the people kept leaving and returning to their rooms as the closing of the doors was very loud. (very inconsiderate guests) Needless to say, we did not get much sleep. I would think if a bus load of guests was to arrive they would be put together in a different area away from other guests, as this was possilbe with the size of this motel, maybe in the back of the building. We have stayed in other motels where buses stayed but never experienced anything like this in the past anywhere else. Will make me think about ever staying here again. As far as the room goes, it was clean and spacious but disappointed they did not have a microwave and also the 2 charis were extremely hard. I asked if they had bigger, more padded chairs and was told no. We put pillows down to sit on. There was no ice machine on the 2nd floor so when we wanted ice we had to go downstairs for ice. We were told there was only one ice machine in the motel. As far as the desk clerks, they were not friendly, no smiles, no greetings. So disappointed as other Best Westerns were so much better.

The Best Western in York Maine is a great place to put your feet up. We enjoyed the Kittery Outlets after a wonderful breakfast . We did not have any noise issues at the hotel and had two restful nights sleep. I will definately stay here again.

The outside of this hotel was nice. The lobby was also very nice. However, once you went into the hallway, elevator, and guest room it was disgusting. The rug was dirty and the smell was horrid. Luckily we were able to open the window. I was there because I had early surgery at the nearby hospital. It was too late to try and find somewhere else to stay. We didn't take off our shoes because we didn't want our slippers on the disgusting rug. I would have given a better review if it wasn't so gross.

Stopped here for one night stay. Called to make reservation while we were traveling. Staff was very accommodating and check-in was super quick and easy. Our room was very clean and spacious. Complimentary breakfast was offered and good as well.

This hotel is like most mid level east coast motels,very long and not tall, but at this one the rooms come off a hallway. I think this is much more comfortable, convenient and safe than the outside entry doors. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well and the breakfast was downstairs and in a nice room. The food was what Best Westerns's always have; eggs, potatoes and a meat along with premade oatmeal, cook your own waffles and the usual pastries, toast and juice. They also had bananas, oranges and apples. They have hot water (for hetbal tea and hot chocolate) and also coffee and tea at all hours. The exercise room had water and good equipment. The staff was friendly and helpful and it has an elevator, but just in the middle, so if you don't want a long walk ask for a room close to it. Our room was way at the end, but that put us close to the breakfast and other amenities if we took the stairs.

This was a nice Best Western, I bet it was built in the last couple of years. It is maybe 3 miles to the start of the famous outlets of the area. It was easy to find from the highway, there were places to eat close by, I was alone but did not feel nervous out at night. No problems at all.

The location is excellent. The hotel is well-kept and the staff are friendly and courteous.The breakfast was good with a variety of items and a good sized room in which to enjoy it. The rooms are nice and updated. The bathroom was somewhat small and therefore not as functional as some.

We go here every .time we go to York Maine.We always have a very nice time. It is always very clean, the people are friendly, iy is very nice for families, the lobby is set up nicely. The rooms are very clean and I always sleep better there than at my own home:) We are always very happy to go there. Enjoy!

No problems. Room was comfortable and clean. We had 3 people and used a king bed and a sofabed. Both beds were comfortable. The breakfast was included and had a variety of food available all enjoyed. Would stay here again.

The place was gorgeous however we could hear our neighbors all night long. In addition, the pipes make a weird knocking sound when water is running in our our adjacent rooms. Turning on the AC helped mask the noise so maybe it's not an issue in the summer.

Rooms were nice and tastefully decorated. Beds were very comfortable. No issues whatsoever. Highly recommend this hotel in York, Maine. Bathrooms were extraordinarily clean. The breakfast bar had lots of choices and included in your hotel stay. Stayed two nights - the first night had one queen bed and was a smaller room but quite adequate for one person but adequately priced for a weekday. The second night I had a guest and we had a double queen and the room was a lot larger. No issues with parking and staff was very friendly.

The bed was firm, room was clean and spacious. A/C was noisy. Brunch had many choices which was nice. The 24 hour coffee tea bar was nice to have. The hotel seemed fairly newly renovated and looked good.

This looks to be a redone nursing home. Small, dank, gross rooms. The pool was freezing. Snacks in lobby outdated and broken. So many awkward outside entrance steps. Weird cooridoors to navigate through. Would never stay here again.

Just made reservations through what I thought was the hotel's reservation system. Turns out "Guest Reservations" is a 3rd party booking outfit that jacked the price up with fees crazy higher than quoted price. Called BW reservation line, a very quick "can't help you, sorry". Called this "guest reservations" outfit and after waiting on hold forever, was told there would be no refund. Absolutely pi$$ed and after this overpriced stay, you can be sure I will never step foot back in a Best Western. Not the way the run customer service for an honest mistake, guys.

We arrived, checked in and went to the room. As soon as we got off the elevator my wife developed a headache from the smell from whatever the hotel used to clean. The room had the same odor. We immediately went back down and said we could not stay. They did offer us another room but we said no. They were kind enough not to charge us one night's fee, which they could have. That is why we gave two stars.

This hotel was clean and the personnel were very helpful. When I needed to put ice packs in the freezer they were very helpful and took them and put them in a freezer. I had medicine that needed to stay cold when we left.

Best Western in York, ME was a good overnight stay for us. It is a little dated but our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with several choices. Breakfast staff was interacting with guests and helpful. Check-in staff was very pleasant and helpful. The internet did not stay connected so that was a bother while relaxing. The hotel is on a main road but it sits back from the road. We did not have a noise issue. They have a small area with drinks or snacks to purchase, but there are several eateries fairly close. A grocery store (Hannaford's) is close, too. Nice area, nice stay for us, so I could give this place a recommendation for other travelers.

The motel was very clean, the location was great close to York beach and to the Kittery Outlets. The pool could have been a bit warmer, otherwise our room size was great and very clean. Would stay again.

Our stay at Best Western in York, ME was a disgusting mistake. We asked to get new sheets and comforter because ours had blood on them. We took them off and threw on the floor of the room, well house keeping came and completely disregarded our request for clean sheets and comforter. We got back to our room to find the same BLOODY sheets! We went down to the service desk to let them know what happened and the girl there said they will send housekeeping up to our room to get us new sheets. We went back up to our room and took all the sheets including pillow cases off and made a pile for the housekeeping. We left for the day and when we came back, the bed was made with the same BLOODY sheets. We called and the manager came up with sheets and changed our bedding in front of us. I don't think it should take three times to complain about bloody sheets to get new ones. Why do you continue to put dirty sheets on beds. I woke up the first night with red eyes and irritated skin and second night I didn't use their pillows. This place is disgusting and couldn't careless about cleanliness or customer satisfaction. Upon our check out I told the whole situation to the lady at the desk who just looked at me like "yeah and what" kind of look. She just told me she will let the manager know and I told her he already knows because he changed our sheets after three times of requesting! She kept saying she will let the manager know, didn't try to offer anything in return for customer satisfaction (partial credit/future stay redemption) NOTHING! Very disgusted by the way this was handled and would avoid this chain of hotels in the future. Also to note, their breakfast tastes like rubber. Eggs taste fake and potatoes taste disgusting. I wanted to leave the first night but places around were booked out. I would advise against going to this location!

People are outside our room talking right now, and we can hear everything they're saying, as clearly as if the door was open. People are letting their doors and the hall doors swing shut without holding them, and every time a door slams, the whole building seems to shake. The typical "running children in the hallways" is a problem. While we are on the second of 2 floors, the children running on our floor are making a racket. If I had known the area better, I would have chosen one of the lovely waterfront inns, but we are here for two nights and already regretting it, and it's not even bedtime yet.

We stayed one night on our way to Boston. Hotel is located in a quiet area. Two story building that kind of zig and zags around. We had a 2 queen room which was huge. I thought the room was very clean but a couple of things were missing like better mirror cleaning. I know that sounds petty but I take everything into consideration. Beds were very comfortable and towels were good quality. Carpeting was clean. Breakfast room was very large. Had hot options. Nice selection. Front desk staff was helpful. We would stay again. Did have a pool but we did not use.

My wife and I as well as numerous other family members spent the weekend at the Best Western, York Maine for a Wedding celebration. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is close enough to anywhere you need to get to in York, and you are minutes away from Portsmouth.

Beautiful place, Extremely sound proof we were on the first floor never heard anyone above us or next to us. Exceptionally clean, friendly happy staff. Hot breakfast is amazing and plentiful. Would highly recommend that if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay this is the place! Suggestion would be to add some outdoor seating and maybe a small play area for children. .

It was clean, fresh, friendly and spacious The breakfast was full and nice. I don't think you can add a whole lot more for a best Western. The price was reasonable but not cheap. It was probably at least average for the area. I would have no problem staying again

My daughter and I have been staying here every August for the last 5 years and we love it! The staff is wonderful, two of which have been there for years and always remember us. Clean rooms, clean pool, good breakfast and the building and lobby was remodeled last year. Short drive to the beach.

Good location just off the highway. Very clean rooms and hotel. There's an indoor pool and an exercise room and the breakfast was excellent. There's plant of parking.I would highly recommend this hotel/motel.

We chose York and Best western for the convenience of there we wanted to travel to. The hotel was very clean and the staff very courteous. They gave us knowledge of were to eat and what to see if we had limited time in the area. The breakfast was great many choices from eggs,cereal,sausage, muffins, bagels,toast and oatmeal. We also had coffee and tea if we wanted all day. i would stay there again if we travel back to the area.

Love Best Western York Inn, very clean and excellent friendly, helpful staff. The location is perfect. Not in the middle of everything, but close enough to get wherever you want to go. This is my place to stay when I am in York!

5 minutes from Kittery and $100 dollars cheaper than the nearby hotels. Breakfast of eggs, sausage and home fries was great and free. I couldn't hear my neighbors. Room was average but other factors made the stay better than average.

Clean! Decent price, great breakfast, pool, easy to get to. Beach close by. Outlet malls close. Best place we stayed in state of Maine. And we stayed at some expensive beach front places. So that says something.

Stopped here on a whim on a Friday night passing through town. Front desk was very friendly and accomodating. Room was very clean and bathroom was a decent size, very clean and modern. Breakfast is included and is a nice variety of items such as pancakes, eggs, fruit etc. They do have an indoor pool and a small gym but we did not utilize either one.

Terrific property. Large comfortable rooms, quiet, and the free breakfast was great. Easy on/off I95. Restaurants nearby as well as the Kittery outlets and Ogunquit Beach. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Museum of American Art in Ogunquit.

We booked this hotel last minute. Sight unseen, we booked a room with a king size bed while we were traveling to our vacation spot. Upon arrival, the staff was very nice. The hotel itself was very quiet for the amount of rooms that were taken. Our room was extremely spacious. We could have held a party in the bathroom with the amount of space there was. The hotel offered a continental breakfast the following morning and it was very good. Overall, for the short time we were there, it is definitely somewhere I would stay again.

Great place to stay. Near York Beach, Lighthouse and zoo. Great price and location. Supermarket nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and the lot has good lighting. Will stay there again.

My wife and I visit York two or three times a year, this is our place of choice to stay. It is clean and has well kept facilities such as exercise room, pool, and quiet lobby with free coffee and tea round the clock. The free breakfast proves a good range of food from eggs and assuage to pancakes and cereal. All basic, but well prepared and nice. Staff is very friendly! Their handicap access rooms are done in good design and taste. They took the standard room features and put it in a bigger room with a large bathroom. Very tastefully done. The only issue we hand this week was the wifi seemed very over tasked and perhaps needs more band width when the house is full. But we have found that with many places.

Very friendly , comfortable environment. Easy access to getting to the rooms, Always very clean. Their breakfast is very nice and always very clean area. Coffee all of the time, which we love. Very nice pool area, new elevator, plenty of parking. It is in a great area to be able to get to all of York and very close to Kittery. and to the Maine Turnpike. I would recommend to anyone to stay there.

About 10 pm discover sugar ants on the rug by the air conditioner. Sprayed bug spray covered rug with hotel towell & went to sleep. Told front desk at 6 am, clerk told me how she had to get an exterminator at home. No offer to reduce my rate & she told manager. Would recommend 2nd floor only

We were impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. It was recently remodeled and looked great. The staff was great. The only problem we encountered was that the mattresses were old and very uncomfortable. The king mattress was ok to lay on but it shook a lot with any movement. We tried to use the sofa bed and that was awful. It should have went to the trash years ago. It was hard to believe that so much money was put into the hotel to remodel and they didn't replace the old mattresses.

Check in went great was greeted by very friendly lady. Room was extra large and very clean. Beds were comfortable . Breakfast was good large area and food was stocked well. I would return if ever back in the area.

We had only one night ..... wanted to be nearby Stonewall Kitchens for an evening cooking class...and near the highway for quick departure the next morning. The Best Western was all that and more. The price was very good for what it provided.

We wanted a nice quiet couple days near the coast of Maine for a mini vacation break. The Best Westen on Rte. 1 was just what the doctor ordered. Only a few miles from the beaches it was perfect for the 2 nights we were going to be there. The rooms were clean quiet and quite spacious. TV was new, showers were big and roomy and being on the second floor the place was nice and quiet. The Hotel offered breakfast for the guests and it was a pleasant surprise. The foods were very good, the serving area was kept nice and clean and the attendent was pleasant and helpful. There was an indoor pool and exercise area for guests also. It was a great stop for us.

We've been here many times and found this is the best hotel in town. Wonderful staff, great customer service, comfort stay, breakfast was pleasant. Overall magnificent stay. Highly recommended if you are visiting Maine.

For the great low price for a room with two beds we couldn't complain at all. We slept fine, the room was clean and the kids loved the pool. It was not walking distance to any attractions or beaches but it was a very quick don't to everything. We would return again and the staff was very friendly.

First of all breakfast was terrible And the owner of the property continued to park in handicap assessable with his white Lexus while clientele who needed handicap parking space had to park a distance away and in the rain

Get a coupon at a highway rest area, or on line. A great deal for sixty bucks. Good TV and Wifi. Very clean room. Way above-average breakfast. The only downside was the bed was rather soft...not, old-and-sunken-in-the-middle. Just softer than most hotel beds.

Excellent service in a beautifully decorated hotel. It seems that management and staff take great pride in this hotel. Great price in the winter months. Close to outlet mall. They serve a delicious breakfast with lots of variety.

We took this weekend trip to relax after the Christmas holiday. It was great and it got us ready for the New Year's celebrations coming up. The BW was warm and welcoming to us. The free breakfast was a hot one too!

This is our 3rd time back since 2013. The place has gone under renovation since our last visit. The staff are still extremely friendly and rooms are up to date. Rooms were extremely clean, beds comfortable, and everything worked. We took advantage of the pool. It was well kept and a nice bonus. Continental Breakfast was as expected and hotel was extremely comfortable. It is off season so the price was great and extremely quiet. We will continue to stay at this hotel.

The hotel was nice, very affordable, and staff were accommodating when we had an issue with our original room. My only complaints are the noisy heating unit and the thin walls. The hotel wasn't full so we were able to switch rooms for the heating issue and there weren't many people making noise. Definitely recommend if you're staying for a few nights.

The employees were so nice and helpful. The hotel was spotless - It has been totally remodeled, couldn't believe how clean it was. The breakfast area was spotless. Plenty to choose from for the continental breakfast. The lobby was beautiful. The pool area was nice. I will be staying there again next year!

We booked a two night stay at this location. Second day, Nov. 30, the tv and phones went down. Phones were up in a short time, but tv didn't work for most of the day. At 3:30 pm. We threw in the towel and asked if we could check out without being charged for the second night. Dave refunded us with a smile! Excellent customer service. Will definitely be going back. Thank you Dave.

Really disappointed! Decided to sleep in and watch television but it isn't working the whole day. The front desk lady said it wasn't the hotel's fault, it was Spectrum. Hope they make good on this, or lose a loyal customer.

Had an unexpected need to find a hotel in York and looked to see if there was a BW nearby as I'm a frequent guest the brand. Lucked out and found a great rate too!Then, to top it off, we were upgraded to a large, and I mean large, King room!

Had a comrortable night and a good breakfast, but the high speed internet was not secure and the carpets really need to go. Good location, easy to find and access, restaurants nearby, would have been a better rating if the carpets and internet were up to date

This is the place to stay when visiting ogunquit. The prices are reasonable, the staff friendly, the rooms are large, clean, and updated. The breakfast buffet is great. Needs more lighting on the right side of the building at night. free parking. close to nubble lighthouse, bush compound, ocean walk, and ogunquit museum.

This Best Western was pretty well as good as they come. The welcome was pleasant enough – the check-out even better. Our room (227) had two Queen beds - we prefer one king (as we had booked) but was told that it was an ‘upgrade' and was bigger. However it was immediately above reception – as can be seen from frontage photograph – and had a canopy affair blocking a lot of natural light! The room itself was large with all the usual requisites all in good order. Breakfast was, again, pretty well as good as it comes with hot choices complimenting the continentals. There was no waffle-maker but there was a pancake maker – the pancakes with strawberry flavouring and cream were something else. The reasonable size swimming pool was a bonus, especially when we were the only two using it! Well recommended – just an idea to miss the ‘canopy' location.

Hotel was close to a lot of things. There is a Hannaford grocery store right down the road. Less than 10 minutes from Kittery Outlets, which was most of the reason for our stay. The pool was nice and breakfast was good. Beds were fairly comfortable (pillows were wonderfully comfortable), and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The few cons were the ice bucket in our room was stained and dirty and had a hair in it, we didnt end up using any ice so i didnt feel the need to bring it to anyone's attention. We had some loud neighbors the first night there (our room was right next to the door to go downstairs and outside and they kept coming in and out around 2am) so i would recommend requesting a room further from the door if you are a light sleeper. And the second night there was a large group of extremely poorly behaved and rowdy children and their parents didnt seem to care in the pool area, they moved all of the seating and tables over to one area so there were none left when we came in, and also took all of the towels, so we ended up leaving after only 15 minutes in there - which i understand is beyond control of the hotel staff, but when we came back to the pool the following day there was still candy all over the floor in the areas around the floor where they were sitting and still no clean towels. When we went and requested some from the front desk we were told there should be some in there, and had to tell the attendant again that there were none. He did promptly bring them in after we asked a second time. A microwave in the room would also have been nice.

We had a reservation through BOOKING.COM to stay at Best Western York on 10/28/18. Unfortunately, I am having an unscheduled hip replacement on 10/29, so I therefore called to cancel. Booking.com was all right with this request, but Best Western York refused to budge in this matter and charged me $80.99 to cancel. I even spoke to the manager and told him I would get a letter from the hospital to prove I was having surgery. I also even requested a credit for another night. Both requests were denied. I would recommend that anyone who is thinking about booking with this hotel think twice about it. We have stayed there in the past and found it quite acceptable, but after this experience we and our friends will never stay there again. I will also counsel other friends to stay away also. Anyone who doesn't understand that problems arise doesn't deserve our business.

When I went to make coffee in the morning the grind package from the last time it was used was still in the machine. I washed it with hand soap so I could use it . Dirty !! After finishing my coffee I proceeded to take a shower. I adjusted the water temp to my liking and reached across to close the shower curtain. OOPS !! no shower curtain ??? I looked throughout the room to see if it was left there ? Sorry not to be found. At least there was no mildew on the missing curtain !!! Maybe a check list would help ??

I had a one-night stay here before driving home to NJ. The hotel was well-located but a bit confusing since there wasn't a single sign on the building itself. None. Just at the corner of the road. The check-in clerk was friendly and my first-floor room was close. I had a queen bed room which was small but adequate. The decor was brown on brown with a retro 40's feel. ( Is it a lack of imagination or a rule that every hotel room is brown on brown on tan? Seriously, I stayed in 6 hotels this trip and four were brown on brown! Seriously lacking in style and very depressing). Everything was clean and neat with Very good bedding. The rest was in good condition but plain. The included continental breakfast was standard and looked fine although I didn't try it. Recommended for a quick trip but not for a long stay.

We had booked this hotel through Hotwire and had requested two rooms with two beds in each room. When we arrived we were told by the rather unfriendly young girl at the desk that we had booked two rooms with one queen in each. Rather than argue with her I paid the extra $20 to her in cash for my Mom and her friend to have their own beds. I'm sure it's in the fine print with Hotwire that you get what you get so I wasn't about to argue about it. My Mom and her friend are older and have trouble walking so I asked for first floor rooms and you could see that they struggle. The girl just said "ok" and gave us keys. We got to the rooms which were two building lengths down (not very nice to give us rooms that far away from the breakfast area) and the rooms had a smell. Again, rather than arguing we kept the rooms we had, bought some Glade at the store and sprayed the rooms. I'm sure it was whatever they use for cleaning but it didn't smell good. The rooms were clean and fine for two nights. The breakfast was good as well but I would recommend at least having water available for people who don't drink coffee, tea or juice. The rest of the staff was friendly and all in all it was a fine stay.

We stayed here two nights while exploring the area. The hotel is not on the beach, but just off the main drive through town. We found it to be comfortable and quiet. Prices were good because we found a coupon in one of the hotel travel publications that we got at a travel center. If we return, we'd stay here again.

I can't say enough about the wonderful front staff! They treat you like family. Everything is so clean and the beds are so comfortable. It's close to the grocery store and lots of good restaurants. I can't wait for our next stay!

I really want to commend the staff and the managers at this hotel. Going the second mile to serve their guests, they are very thoughtful and considerate. One example is that they helped us to adjust our reservation without charging a penalty. I highly recommend staying here as this hotel provides excellent value!

Hotel's location was good for exploring Southern Maine. Everything met our expectations. Pool looked very inviting, but we didn't have a chance to enjoy it. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. If we return to the area, this will be our first choice.

This place was so very clean that you could literally eat off the floors. The Staff was very courteous and friendly. In the morning they offered a very nice breakfast which included everything one could want. We were only required to get the room for one night which was perfect

The hotel manager and his staff were very nice and respectful. Being from Hawaii it was a long way from home and they made us feel welcomed. We were in Maine for work. They just got done with renovations when we got there and the hotel looks great. Remodeled the lobby and cafeteria area and installed an elevator. They also serve free breakfast everyday from 7am to 10am. Only thing I wish they had was a microwave but other than that it's a pretty good place to stay. There's an urgent care right across the street. Gas stations and grocery stores near by and also an outlet right down the road.

A solid choice if you keep your expectations in line. Convenient in a right-on-Route 1 way. Very nice, competent staff. Mostly clean and refreshed. Nicer-than-average pool and breakfast. Surprisingly quiet.

The breakfast was decent and check-in/check-out were smooth. However, the hotel layout is confusing (we were unable to find the stairs) and we had cleanliness concerns. Our bath mat was dirty, one of our bath towels had small yellow stains, and multiple hand towels/washcloths, as well as our sheets, had long hairs on them. I have uploaded pictures of the bath mat, towel, and a couple of hairs on the sheets. The pictured lampshade also had a questionable stain (it may have just been paint but after the other issues we were not certain). It was late and we were tired so we just took the hairs off the sheets and towels and used them anyway (gross, I know!). The worst part was that we ended up closing out our week-long vacation at our least favorite hotel of the trip, despite it being one of our most expensive stays.

Newly renovated, very good place in Maine, USA. Strangely enough no cell phone reception in the whole area ( not just this town) but the hotel has perfect wifi to stay connected Close to the beach area and warmly recommended. Great hotel very good price and pleasant people

Booked to stay one night - realized day of there was no elevator - called and could not be assured bottom floor room. Traveling with elderly parents. Would not allow cancel - past time. Other hotels we stayed at that week had cancel up to 4pm and 6pm day of reservation. Lost over $200 and had to find other accommodations $$. Website lists all the wonderful things their hotel offers and great amenities - but leave out the fact that there is no elevator. Lesson learned: When making reservations always verify that there is an elevator and that it works.

We has a great stay here. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed it every morning. The hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff was very helpful. The indoor pool was very refreshing. We will defiantly will be staying here again!

We needed a reasonably priced hotel and this Best Western in York fit our criteria. It was $100 less/ night than any branded hotels in the area. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. My husband found the internet fast. Lastly, the breakfast was good, esp. the blueberry muffins & the cheese omlettes. I used the workout room & it had a large TV and numerous work out machined. Lastly, I would recommend it as a great value.

We have stayed at this hotel for 4 years in a row. It is our "go to" place. The rooms are very clean, they offer a full breakfast (not your regular continental breakfast that most hotels offer), and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay the best t can be. It is also 5-7 minutes (driving distance) to the beach, several restaurants, and you can get to the Kittery Outlets or Ogunquit Beach and shopping in 10 minutes! We love it there!

This hotel isnt fancy, but we found it clean and the staff was friendly. The pool is very small, but we weren't in York to swim in a hotel pool! The room was clean, spacious. The location is not very close to the beach - Long Sands is about 10 mins away, but it's an easy drive. The good news is that on the way to the beaches you drive by a Hannafords grocery store (run in and get ice or pack lunch), you are across the street from an urgent care (with little kids, things happen!), and there is a Rite Aid next door (always forget something). The breakfast was not very good, but it was warm and the staff kept coming and adding more as guests ate their way through all the options.

Stayed here while traveling through Maine. The beds were super comfortable and the room clean and large. Looks like this hotel has been remodeled but the furniture is a little dated. The usual free hotel breakfast was served and the breakfast wait staff were very attentive. The desk clerks were also very personable and asked me how my stay was when I checked out. The hotel is only 2 floors and very long so if you have trouble walking ask for a room closer to the lobby area and not on the ends. There are additional exterior entry doors. The only problem I had was the key cards. It took me at least 5 swipes to get the room door or exterior doors open every time I had to reenter. It's a strange type where you slide the card down but the card hits the door handle, so if your not quick removing it before it hits the handle, it won't open.

The Best Western York Inn was a good experience. We enjoyed our stay and having a free breakfast was a nice perk. It's great to be able to just go downstairs to get something to eat without having to go out and cruise the neighborhood. The hotel is pretty clean and was refurbished a few months ago. The people who clean the rooms could do a little better when it comes to cleaning. The front desk people are friendly and attentive. The people in the breakfast area are really nice and helpful, but we couldn't help noticing that they they wear gloves when they're cleaning the tables and any spills on the floor and then handle the food without changing the gloves. That kind of defeats the purpose of gloves. That grossed us out a bit and would be worth some attention since it's an easy fix. The breakfast is basic, but the quality is pretty good. It's not a big deal, but they have scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, a pancake machine, bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereals, juices and coffee/tea. Having booked through a third-party online site, we didn't do our reservation directly with the hotel. So, if you do this you don't get any Best Western loyalty points. However, I'll take the savings right up front and would do it again. We booked a room with a "queen" bed. This particular room was rather small and, since we have a queen bed at home, this did look smaller than a real "queen." Is there such a thing as a "princess" bed? (Just kidding) They did tell is we could get a larger room if we paid more, but we passed. This hotel is located in a good spot along route 1. It's easy to get to the Maine Turnpike and local towns and attractions. This was a nice deal too since you can drop a lot of money on some very good or mediocre hotels nearby. It's sometimes hard to tell what you're booking since some of the mom-and-pop motels can be nice or in need of attention. They have a small indoor pool which was popular with kids. Overall, this was a good experience and I would recommend it.

We stayed here many times when this motel was The York Inn. BW bought it and did a massive renovation last winter. The new BW here in York is a steal. We stay at a lot of places in Wells and Ogunquit. This place has the most comfortable beds, great sheets, large flat sceen, large mini-fridge and everything clean. Upgraded outlets for computer and phone charging. NOW to the bathroom. Every motel that gets a rehab keeps the old tub and tries to dress up a pig. NOT this place. The bathroom is totally new, high-end shower head, great marble sink/counter. Finally the continental breakfast has omelettes in additional to everything else you would expect. For you vacationers this is not too far from the beach. It's an easy drive through old York that takes you to the end of Long Sands. If Kittery and those dang outlets is your thing, this is the place. If the beach is your thing, this is the place. There's nothing not to like about the new BW in York.

The quality was not bad for the price and location. It's about 10 minutes to both long/short sands, 5 minutes from the outlet mall. Our room didn't smell great, but we kept it without complaint. It was a bit dated and dingy, but it worked and the bed was comfortable. We chose a two queen bedroom which fit 4 perfectly. The AC was on max cold (66 degrees) and the room still wasn't super cold, which is my only complaint. The bathroom was a but small as well but did the job. The tub and surrounding area was clean. The breakfast had everything you needed and then some-- and during off hours, they allowed you to microwave frozen items as no room has a microwave. There is coffee 24 hours/day. The staff was nice and courteous. I'd recommend for couples and families.

The Best Western in York is a great place to stay. Very friendly staff and the place is very clean. We saw many guests there with young children who seemed to be having a wonderful time enjoying the indoor pool.

Decent price in an area where hotels get pricey. Central location, can get to the lighthouse and the beach in 10 minutes. Easy to outlets and antique stored. Clean. Good breakfast. They do have gluten-free items, but the staff may not understand you..... The room was quiet and bed was comfortable.

We stayed here for a local wedding, could not have been better. They accommodated us with early check in so we could get dressed when we arrived. The room was perfect with two vanities which made it easy for both of us to get ready on time. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area again.

Our initial response upon arrival was terrible as our room had a horrendous smell in it. We were immediately moved to another room which was just fine. The room was especially clean with a recently updated bathroom. I as pleasantly surprised with the quality of the breakfast which came as part of our reservation. I would definitely consider returning in the future.

Stayed here with my daughter for one night on our way from Boston to Bar harbour. Check in was smooth . Rooms large & comfortable with everything you would need provided. Continental breakfast is provided , but we were in a rush to get to our destination so didn't partake.

We stay at this hotel for on;y one night.. I would would recommend staying here longer. The place is clean and the beds are comfy. The only down side is the hallways. If you have a room at the far end of the hotel you have to walk through a lot of halls and doors to get there. Other than that we enjoyed the stay and the breakfast in the morning was just enough to satisfy the belly for the morning. You can get any tourist attractions from here. Some drives are a little longer then others. We drove up to Freeport in about 1 hour and then drove back down to Kittery visiting places along the way.

Just beware, if you expect the queen size mattress to be, well ,queen size, it is not. A 6 ft. Person will find their feet hanging over the end. We were told this was their "standard queen". Breakfast was marginal.

Check-in/Out was easy, staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, loved the bathroom, breakfast had so many options, the kids and I were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend this location to others who are staying in this area.

First time here. Staying two nights and will be very comfortable. New, clean, large room. Fluffy towels, comfortable beds and pillows. Large clean bathroom. Simple outside but everything inside is modern. Large breakfast room with lots of seating. Good variety of hot foods, pastry, yogurt, hb eggs, etc.

Hotel was about 3 miles away from the beach. Location was good as there was hannaford very close and the outlets were close. Disappointed with hotel. Rooms were clean, continental breakfast had lots of choices, but the staff were not friendly Housekeeping girls were very nice, but other than that, the staff were not welcoming.

We had less less than a pleasant experience here..our room key was given to another guest and they came into our room while we were there..the front desk was not apologetic at all and until I pressed them to take money off our room,they did not even suggest..Even though the hotel is well located and recently updated,that was our last stay there

Nice, pleasant place to stay while driving through, no problems here. Easy to find and alone one of the main roads. Staff was friendly, and the room was clean and pleasant overall. I would stay here again.

This is an older property that's currently being renovated and, so far, they're doing a great job. Our room was apparently recently redone and everything was fine. Bed was comfortable & good selection of pillows. Lobby area is impressive; complimentary breakfast was as good as you'll get at any hotel (better than most) and room rate was very reasonable. Everyone we dealt with on the staff was friendly & helpful. We missed having a microwave in the room but it was available, if needed, in the lobby area. Could use some shrubbery on the outside (probably coming soon) and I wish they had a hot tub, but those aren't big deals. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Very close to Nubble Lighthouse, in case you'd like to visit.

I booked this hotel as an alternative to the hotel I typically stay at as the prices had skyrocketed, it was very affordable, clean, and great staff. Breakfast was good and the location was perfect for our visit. My only complaint is that it does smell a bit like smoke is locked into the carpet and walls, but you can expect that with an older hotel I suppose.

This was a perfect break from driving before heading up to the top of Maine. The hotel was clean, quiet and right off the highway. The hotel rooms are on the smallish side but suited my purpose. It would be fine for a family looking for a base camp or a business traveler who only needs to sleep here.

We wanted a clean place with reasonable prices and we got that and more. The breakfast was better than a lot of places we have stayed. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again if we were headed to that area.

This hotel was right on the main street with great access to the harbor. The rooms were very large and you could not hear anyone going down the hallway or coming in. The beds were super comfy too! The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was also good.Great price for the location and amenities!

The room had a nice fridge - no microwave. Price was very good value. It is an ideal location: close the the beach, restaurants, Kittery outlets.

Good breakfast and clean area for breakfast. Entire area was exceptionally clean and personnel were all friendly. I cannot think of any reason not to applaud our experience at this hotel in spite of the fact that some renovations were going on at the time of our stay.

Well located just off Route 1 and I-95, clean and comfortable for an overnight stop when passing through. Good value for money. Near grocery stores, Stonewall Kitchens, and a store offering picked lobster and lobster rolls.

Average-The room was neat and had a large refrigerator. The pool was far too cool for an indoor pool. There was no one at the desk for check out and no bell to call anyone. The hotel was also being renovated during our stay so the lobby was not in prsitine condition

Hotel is very quiet and easy to get to. Staff was nice enough. Breakfast was horrible but the coffee was decent and available all day and night. Rugs weren't vacuumed the 3 days we were there so there were leaves and pebbles all over the place in the halls. Nice enough place for the money though.

We have always been pleased with our stay here. It is a great location, close to the highway and not far from the outlets. The staff is pleasant, rooms are comfortable, pool and fitness areas are well kept, and the breakfast is very good.

My family enjoyed the recent overnight stay at the York Best Western. The staff was professional and eager to address any questions and concerns. The room was clean and met all of my expectations. I would honestly recommend this hotel to others visiting York Maine.

Although the hotel is a bit outdated, it has a good value for money. Small gym and pool both add to the value. I was also very impressed with the good quality breakfast. They even had almond milk, which I didn't expect at all. Would certainly visit again.

We stayed here after an evening in portsmouth, NH, where the lodging was more than twice as costly. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. This loses a star as there is no elevator and so you need to lug things upstairs if your room is on the second floor. That was kind of a pain. Breakfast had a number of choices and they were replenished quickly.

After continuous work we decided a breath of ocean air and great shopping was in order. Nothing like historical York Beach and a great shopping experience at the Kittery Outlets. This is a must for the best of both, relaxation and the sea, and shopping with bargains for the coming holidays and birthdays.

We had a really nice stay at the Best Western York Inn. Check in process was quick and easy, room was comfy and clean. The bathroom was clean and it was very relaxing to take a warm shower after a whole day traveling. Looks a little bit dated, but it is a solid place to stay. Breakfast was good, compared to other places. I would stay there again.

Stayed there 2 years in a row, both times the rooms were clean though dated, some cosmetic repairs needed. Friendly staff, average or above average breakfast for this price motel. Plain Jane motel, but adequate for an overnight stay.

Excellent place and a good value for the area. We were very impressed with the size and cleanliness of our room and we requested a 1st floor with easy access and all of our requests were handled. We really enjoyed the breakfast choices which were varied and plentiful.

This older facility is near a popular vacation area but does not meet the quality of its surroundings. Bathroom needed cleaning and updating. If you plan to be there over a holiday weekend, expect to be overcharged.

Room was clean,it was quite small but maybe that's what u get For a low rate,excellent hot water. Surprisingly the breakfast food was quite good. Was not a great welcoming atmosphere going to check in

Late arrival...... 10pm or so. Pleasant front desk staff who explained we were given a "complimentary upgrade" from a single queen room to a room with two queen beds. Once we got into our room I knew we were in trouble... as far as cleanliness. Rug wasn't vacuumed completely (crumbs under and around table and chairs), the bathroom was atrocious....hair everywhere (all lengths of hair and color....seriously)....hair all over the bathroom floor, sink, tub, baseboards and walls, bathroom mirror wasn't clean: toothpaste splatter and smeared on it. Behind the toilet was caked with dirt and hair. In fact the only clean piece to the room were the beds which honestly was the only thing we were interested in after seven hours on the road. Next morning I contacted the front desk to ask for a manager to visit the room; unfortunately no manager was going to be on until 10am and we had to hit the road to catch a train in Boston. I left details with the woman at the front desk who stated she wrote then down. As a Best Western Rewards member I completely anticipated a phone call from the manager but have yet to receive one. I should also mention the front desk clerk was extremely apologetic and sounded not surprised. Next time I could care less about a complimentary upgrade. Just give me a clean room.

This is one of our regular stops and it is still a good value. The location is excellent and very quiet at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is starting to show some wear but the room was clean but not spotless. The full length mirror in the room was badly streaked showing me cleaning staff is not checking their work. The lack of an elevator to the second floor is still a puzzle to me. I do prefer the stairs but when you have an armload of bags, it would sure be nice. The breakfast had quite a few choices and was very adequate.

l was very disappointed with the entire York Best Western experience. My initial reservation was wrong, taking me from a king to a queen, the T V reception was in and out all weekend, the manager did get it to work for a while for us Saturday night. The hallways were very hot and you could smell cigarette smoke even though we were in non smoking, the staff was courteous, pleasant, and the room was cleaned and freshened when we arrived back in the evening. l will not be back to this Best Western, however l will continue to be a loyal Best Western Patron; l highly recommend the Best Western Suites in Easton, Md.

Best Western hotels have never been that appealing to me, but this Inn was very good. Location: on RT 1, close to the outlets and to town. Very good and quiet. Reception: staff was kind and helpful, check out was quick and easy.Donna was a star. Room: We stayed in Room 243. This room is a double queen sized bedroom. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The room does possess a bit of a humid scent but this is normal as its been hot the last few days. The bathroom is a good size and modern. The room was painted not so long ago. Beds: the mattress was hard which is good for those who have back problems like i do. A bit dusty on the headboard. This is sth that the cleaning crew never checks. Basic continental breakfast. The place has a fitness room and a swimming pool. If your visiting this area, i recommend this place

The hotel wasn't far from the beach and was a good alternative to pricier options in a very touristy town. The price was right and we got just about what we paid for. It was a decent size but nothing fancy. The bathroom seemed to be recently updated but it could have been a little cleaner. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Very quiet and extremely comfortable bed. The location may not be on the beech but it's not far. Free coffee and tea 24 hours a day. The pool is located just off the lobby which makes all the rooms fairly quiet. I could see how there could be kids running down the hall way but I did not experience this during my stay.

Only a 10 minute drive to the York beaches. Bed was very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was the best free breakfast- pancakes, regular sized bagels, eggs and sausage. No elevator that I saw. The interior room was very clean. Walking to the room did not have a good smell- smelled musty. We stayed here because we had a wedding to go to at the Union Bluff and it was very convenient and reasonably priced.

This hotel is a clean, quiet, 2 story hotel (no elevator) in York. Staff was very friendly, room was spacious (we had a room with 2 queen beds). Bathroom was clean and we'll stocked with towels and supplies (including a hairdryer). Room had a mini fridge, coffee pot, and microwave. There was an indoor pool and fitness room (we didn't use either), and a nice breakfast room. Breakfast was good with a pancake machine (yes, a machine), juice, coffee, bread, bagels, muffins, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, scrambled eggs, and sausage. Only minor complaint: thought the price was a little high, but it might have been due to the time of year that we traveled.

We stayed here during our visit to the area for a wedding. The accommodations were nice enough. We requested an adjoining room with another couple which was no problem. They have a pool and small breakfast in the morning. WIFI is good - we streamed a Pay Per View Sports event no problem. Nice hotel. Pricing was a little high for the hotel though.

Room was spacious, absolutely spotless and quiet. Bed was comfortable and bathroom roomy. Room has a small fridge too. Free wifi appreciated as was the complementary breakfast which was pretty impressive. The breakfast room is nice as well. Overall great value for a quick night on the road or longer stay.

Very nice hotel with easy access to Rte 95. Clean rooms and we had a room at the back so it was very quiet. We did not utilize the complimentary breakfast so I can't comment on that. Overall it was a great value for the money and I would highly recommend it if you are staying in York.

Close to Great beaches and Great fresh food at the York Corner Gardens Farm Stand. The rooms were clean and well cared for. There was NO offensive "Air fresheners" used like Frebreez in rooms or hallways. Had a full breakfast from 7-10 am with a lot of variety. Will definetly stay here again.

This was our 2nd year in a row staying here.The service is great. It is very clean and all staff are accommodating. My 2 small sons love the pool. The price and location is perfect for us. The breakfast has a nice selection as well.

Stayed overnight here because I was so impressed with the last Best Western I stayed at....not nearly as nice but it was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice and clean and had a shallow end which was great for the kids. Breakfast had something for everyone but the pancakes were pretty disappointing. Room was very basic but clean. Hotel desk staff weren't very friendly...

We stayed here for a wedding this past weekend. For almost $300, we expected a clean room. Apparently that was asking too much. Upon entering the room, there was a strong odor of cat pee/ mildew. Unfortunately we had a wedding to attend and tried to leave a window open to hopefully air it out. When we returned, the smell was worse. We called the front desk and we were given a bottle of air freshener and told to speak to the manager in the morning as no other rooms were available. We noticed in the morning that the AC unit was leaking and the smell may have been from mildew or mold in the carpet. When we approached the front desk, the staff person was unapologetic, said there wasn't much she could do and wasn't sure when the manager would be in. We had to ask for his information. When we finally spoke with him, he argued that the room did not smell, yet he never went to check. He agreed to give us a mere $60 refund on a pricey room which was less than satisfying. Being pregnant, the odor was very concerning to me. The fact that the staff seemed to care less when it came to satisfying customers proves the quality of this hotel is lacking to say the least. We would not return, and definitely not recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't let my dog sleep in that room.

Location was great, room was clean and comfortable and the amenities great. Breakfast was full of all the things you'd expect in a higher priced motel. Management was friendly, especially front desk staff. Sana was welcoming and helpful. Motel was convenient to restaurants and downtown York.

You get what you pay for and this is a discounted property. We prefer to stay at a local B&B but since that was full, this hotel was a reasonable option. The room is clean, bed comfortable, basic amenities, and some hot items at breakfast as well as the usual bread products. Coffee is good. We did not use the pool. One of the outer doors wouldn't close unless you actively did so but the room felt secure. Some of the staff were hard to understand as they mumbled and had an accent. That made things tough for the many foreign visitors there. We would stay there again for the reason it is cheaper but if you like more upscale things, look elsewhere.

I wasn't expecting much as we'd stayed here 10 years ago and it was gross. It was perfect, new, clean, comfy beds, ad great, hot water great, pool bright and clean and breakfast was good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I haven't often stayed at Best Western, so I was very pleased to find this hotel at the last minute. Peak season in Maine commands very high price for all lodging. This property was reasonably priced, nice clean rooms, and the " rainfall" shower was great. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choices.

I was able to book a room very easily at the last minute and check in early. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. Just what we needed. Not overly fancy but comfortable. Room was quiet, shopping right down the road, and a quick drive to the beach.

Our AAA agent helped us book this for our 1st trip to York, Maine. We were very happy with the large size of the room and bathroom, the comfy bed, the large fridge, the coffee bar, the nice pool and free breakfast. All that and at a reasonable price that is a short drive to the York beaches! We look forward to returning there the 2nd time to the York beaches. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night and were able to stay in the same room.

We liked the staff and the way we were treated while there; breakfast was excellent and Sana at the front desk was very helpful. We were able to get a room in the back where it was quiet as well. No complaints!

My family spent 7 nights here while on vacation in York, while the rooms are very spacious and nice the first thing we noticed was there is no elevator to the second floor. I don't mind using the stairs but lugging enough stuff for your entire family for a week up a flight of stairs is frustrating. The second letdown was our sheets were not changed even once the entire week. There was no card to leave on your bed requesting it either. We were walking by the front desk and heard another guest inquiring about it and the manager told her it's not their policy to change sheets. I'll be contacting Best Western to see if this is a company wife policy of if this location took it upon themselves to cut costs. I'll be looking for another hotel next year.

I just wish they had an elevator. I usually call ahead when traveling with my mother, to make sure our room is not to far from the entry. This time I forgot and found that we were on the second floor and there was no elevator. We got by but it was a challenge. My fault- the staff was very kind and I think if I called ahead I would have been accommodated- by the time we arrived there we no rooms left on the first floor. Good location- close to shopping and beaches and Stonewall Kitchen :)

This Best Western Inn was centrally located near all the places we were looking to go to in Maine, the hotel personnel were friendly, courteous and professional, the indoor pool was a bit small, but well maintained and we enjoyed swimming nightly. The rooms were clean and well organized. Overall I would highly recommend this Inn for anyone going to the Kittery/York Maine area.

I stay here about twice a year, mostly to attend shows at the OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE, 15 minutes away from the hotel. It is nice to plop into a comfy bed after the evening show, rather than making the 2-hour drive back to MA. Fun to shop at the Kittery outlets, Stonewall Kitchen in York ,as well as to explore some of the pretty side streets in York, during such a stay.

We stayed here back in 2013 and it was just ok. We knew it was a non-elevator hotel so we requested a first floor room. Room was clean...no problems. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a non-smoking hotel. When we checked in, being smokers we asked where the smoking area was. The woman at the desk gave us the first room near the outside door which was very convenient. Our only complaint is outside the side door where people were smoking was messy with the cigarette butts. I highly suggest they put ashtrays out there. Other than that, everything was great. Would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it.

This hotel was very nice but lacked an elevator so I recommend first floor room , no hand rails on tub/shower .internet was average . Close to places we were traveling to sight see . Little pricey for small room but it's in season !

Great staff, comfortable rooms, clean rooms, close to beaches and malls. Great place to stay. Any problems you may encounter are addressed quickly and efficiently. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel location is quiet and parking is not a problem. Have told all our friends to stay here if they come to Maine

Nice clean, great pool, easy parking, friendly, great location, breakfast was super, especially the pancake machine, family friendly, will stay again and may consider Best Western in other areas. Close to many great restaurants drug stores, only a few blocks away from the water and shopping in Kittery

Rooms were filthy. No elevator in hotel. Had to climb stairs. Q-tip laying on corner of stairs, hallways had pieces of food on the edges, ground cracker crumbs by one side of bed, 9 year old grandson open door to go to parent's room next door to us witnessed man in underwear coming into hallway to pick up a beer he had sitting by the door. Son-in-law and I went to front desk to complain. They moved us to 1st floor. Room little cleaner but case holding refrigerator was falling apart on outside right bottom corner. Room rented above us was very noisy both nights- perhaps children? running in room until very late. We were to tired to complain and get moved again. Shampoo and lotion partially used left in room- no fresh amenities. Spoke to different people day we were leaving and they were very unhappy with hotel and decided to check out early and go to different hotel. Breakfast room very small not enough room for everyone to sit. Tables only seat four hard to fit family of 7 at them. Coffee pot was empty at 9 A.M. Finally got refilled coffee tasted burned. Muffins and Danish were terrible. Old adage "you get what you pay for" certainly true for this hotel. Think twice before you book here.

Hotel seems worn and dirty. Breakfast food quality is horrible. Cost savings of stay not worth the aggravation. 1st time at a Best Western and surely our last. Never again. Did not feel safe and did not have fun.

There is no shortage of places to stay in southern Maine but the Best Western York Inn is perfect for you if you're on a budget or use your hotel only as a place to rest your head at night. You have Kittery and Portsmouth to the south and Ogunquit and Kennebunkport to the north. A Hannaford supermarket is just up the road. The hotel itself is a little dated but it's clean, everything works (including wi-fi) and they give you a basic breakfast. The rooms have refrigerators. The star of the show is the location, a great home base for exploring southern Maine.

This Best Western was fine for what we needed. Some areas need updating like the pool. Floor not kept dry and towels were skimpy. Breakfast was okay. Fresh cut fruit would have been nice as well as fresh pastries and breads rather than generic stale bagels, muffins, and danish.

Nice hotel. We only stayed overnight on our way up the coast but the staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. Would stay there again if in the area. Close to Neddick Light. And a good starting point to visit the lower beaches.

we booked an overnight stay here for july 4. we confirmed the booking directly on july 2nd. when we arrived we were told that we had been checked in then checked out and we cannot stay... no refund... no stay... nothing... we asked for manager oh he's not around, don't know where he is or how to reach him... as of 7/6/2017 still no manager to speak to... funny how that works.

We come to York for two weeks every summer. We like to travel the day before our rental is available so,we stay at the BW. We enjoy our stay every year. We have started to,stay at the BW when we visit York in May also. We love the pool and the breakfast.

This facility is conveniently located & moderately priced. It has been upgraded and is very clean. The breakfast self-serve buffet has something for everyone. On site indoor pool is a great opportunity for exercise year around! Nearby Kittery Shopping outlets have been upgraded and offer an excellent opportunity for shoppers of all ages!

We sold our house in York and came back for the 4th. BW was reasonable, clean, and good staff. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but it worked well for what we were looking for. Good breakfast. it's convenient to kittery Malls and York Beach.

So this is quite a mixed review. We stayed last year 2016 and had a wonderful experience. This year however we were not as lucky. There were positives the room was big pool was sufficient. The morning breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. However this year we stayed 8 nights and our room was cleaned properly once. On two occasions we came back to the garbage still full in our rooms. Our floor was vacuumed once the whole stay. Our linens were never changed beds just made up. The sheets had stains on them. The pool had too much chlorine and we could not even stay swimming for more then 10 to 15 mins and our eyes were burning. Last but not least we opted for express check out to make our departure faster. However the bill that was printed for the reciept of our stay was left in the hallway with all our personal info on it. The one major plus is now we are buying a travel trailer. If your in need of a cheap overnight stay this will do.

King size bed with sofa like suite hotels in very large room. Reception area doesn't dazzle but don't let that fool you. Rooms are great and quiet. Orange juice and coffee at free breakfast were the best we've seen and we travel a lot. Also had an automatic pancake churning machine !

My daughter stayed two nights and loved it. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very clean. The front desk staff were very pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The breakfast was very good!

We booked a large group of rooms for a wedding party and guests. Robins Patel the manager was extremely helpful throughout the process. The other employees were very friendly and helpful! Would recommend!

My best friend and I stayed here overnight on a quick jaunt to Maine for some girl time. We didn't want to spend the extra $$ to be on the beach, so we found the York Best Western. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and offered a simple hot/cold breakfast with good choices. We stayed on the 1st floor and the room was larger than most standard hotel rooms. We opted for two queen beds and they were very comfortable. Air conditioner was a bit loud if it turned on and off, so we opted to have the fan run to avoid the noise during the night. Housekeeping could have taken a closer look at a few dribbles on the side of the dresser, but it did look clean. Had a nice mini fridge in the room. Coffee/hot water was available in the lobby, but it wasn't great. Don't let that stop you as you can brew your own in the room. Close to Long Sands Beach and centrally located to many shops, restaurants and beaches. It's a gem.

This is out 2nd trip to York Me. this year,& returned this last time because of our 1st experience .Rooms,gym,pool,& location are nice.Staff very helpful.Will return.Near beach,malls,restaurants,& easy access to main highways.

Everything was perfect. It deserves 10 on 10. We were very happy. Good people, good management, good location, excellent service. Friendly and cosy. We could not ask for more. Close to everything. Very quiet place.

Nice location only a few mlles to some great beaches. Glad the pool was there because it was raining and cold. We arrived at 3 pm and were glad to find a huge room with very comfortable beds. Even a small fridge in the room, a great addition. Our door wasn't closing well and we went out one night and it wasn't closed all the way, but we had no issues. May want to check room 127 and fix that door. But it was otherewise a great stay and happy it was so affordable for a quick night away near the ocean. Great lobster pound just blocks away,we ate a few $10 lobster rolls and we were off heading home.

Large clean room, with standard amenities. The air conditioner was a bit beat up but worked well and was not too loud. Overall it was a good value for the money, there was nothing to complain about but i was only there for just over night and left before breakfast started.

I am a Best Western Diamond as I have found the Best Western chain to be the most consistent experience at the price point for any chain on the continent. They are my 'goto' ! I did not book this one thru Best Western but got it as a 'surprise motel' thru one of the travel sites. What a great surprise. It gave me exactly what I expected. Clean, well appointed rooms and fine service.

We arrived late around 10:30 pm and left early before 9:00am. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice. The breakfast was hot. The coffee was alright, but hotel coffee isn't always the best. If in the area again we would definitely look at the availability.

Beautiful hotel. The room we were in was modern, clean and quiet. The front desk was helpful with guiding us around town and answering questions. The towels were on the thin side, but adequate. Overall, it was a very nice room. And it was 10 minutes from the beachfront.

Very nice motel, clean and large rooms. Comfortable bed, breakfast very good, enjoyed our stay. This motel is handicap friendly, no problem getting around in my wheelchair. nice hot breakfast in the morning, coffee and tea in rooms. Refridgerator and microwave in the room also.

Just want to be the first to say there are alternatives to staying in Ogunquit for short stays,had tickets to mama Mia and didn't want to pay for two nights in Ogunquit so found this one great hotel just at the outskirts of town.rates were excellent rooms were clean and to top it off a small breakfast was thrown in ,food was adequate nothing fancy basic eggs and sausage bagels pancakes juice yogurt etc.

Located, easily accessible to the highway. The room was super clean and comfortable. Check-in is quick and express checkout is available. Staff was friendly and helpful. Vending machines are available in the lobby. Parking is a bit tight.

Got heavy bags? If you're on the second floor, be prepared to lug them up stairs as there's no elevator. Another surprise was that there was about one foot of toilet paper on the roll and no more to be had. Nice house keeping job. Somehow the expected clean, quiet, average breakfast, etc., was over shadowed by that.

We stay at this Best Western annually as we go to our summer home in Maine. This year the rates, because they were out of season were great. The building/outside doesn't look impressive, but the accommodations and other amenities are very good.

This is our 3rd time stopping for a night at this Best Western and each time, we are welcomed by friendly front desk staff. Our hotel coupon was graciously accepted despite the late hour we arrived. Our room was clean with comfortable bed, sufficient towels and bathroom ammenities, as well as a fridge and table with 2 chairs. I had need of a microwave, and I used the one in the breakfast room that is available to guests at all times. Breakfast in the morning was sufficient to us. The weather outside was cold and wet, so we chanced the A/C off all night and had a very quiet and restful sleep. At check-out, we were invited back.....little things like that make a difference and as we travel frequently between Florida and Eastern Canada, this hotel is our choice of a place to stay on night # 2 of our journey ! The Best Western is very close to Kittery Outlets and not far from Ogunquit. The reservation was for 4 nights , The beds was very comfortable and the room was a good size .The breakfast was included and it was Ok, the coffee was good , fruits, toast , egg, juive etc. the regular american breakfast not a big Buffet. The pool was nice, The only thing is there is no balcony. We went to Ogunquit and Wells to eat it was fun. Good place to stay.

Good Night's Stay I enjoyed the stay at this Best Western location. The staff were very polite and helpful to my questions. I do recommend this location to any traveler who wants comfort and a great breakfast.

Very mediocre property. Bed was okay. Bathroom clean. Towels small and scratchy. Toiletries minimal. Ventilation/heating noisy. Furnishings very low quality. We skipped the free breakfast because we were so unimpressed with the facility in general. Acceptable for one-night while on the road. Not much more.

The room was a good size with a nice bathroom. Very quiet which I needed for my stay. Breakfast was good but would help if it was earlier. Because I had to commute to a job and there wasn't much time to sit down and enjoy the meal. Job did not last as long as expected and it was very much appreciated I didn't get charged for the day I had to leave.

Elected to stay in York for one night during a business trip to cut down on expenses and the BW York Maine was the perfect choice, off season rates, easy access, things to do in the area. A very large hotel for the area but nicely done, Common areas were clean and kept up, room was comfortable. Typical decent BW breakfast in the a.m.Internet worked fine, there was a refrigerator in the room which is always a nice touch

The rooms where very clean and comfortable no noise nice and quiet. Staff was great nice and friendly. I would definitely go back there next time. Great location to get to the beach and stores. And to the light house.

Booked a night at the Best Western totally because of the budget price. We came in late after a full day of traveling and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our room. We were exhausted and only wanted a decent nights sleep. Our late night arrival was no problem, our room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Got a great night sleep and a passable breakfast. Easy checkout and right back on the highway. Would definitely stay next time we have a late flight in and are leaving car in Portsmouth.

Close to restaurants , shopping , and fun activities. I traveled with 3 kids and the pool was good but small not to busy this time of year. If going here on a busy time pool would be crowded. They had a good variety of breakfast items even for my youngest with allergies

The room was clean and spacious (nice size for a family). We had a great night sleep on a nice firm mattress. The bathroom had recently been upgraded and was done very well. Off season rates were very reasonable and the stay was quiet and most enjoyable.

We stayed at the Best Western in York when our first choice Motel was completely booked. I will stay here again. The motel was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was even an indoor pool.

the location made it easy to get to portsmouth for night life, kittery for shopping and the ocean for daytime beauty! The staff were ready and willing to make recommendations for great food and local favorites.

This was just a one night stop while traveling between Logan Airport and Down East by my husband. His review of the hotel was that it was quite pleasant and clean with a very convenient location. Would most likely stay again should we be in that area!

We had a Queen Room on the ground floor. The room was very clean and the bathroom had been recently renovated. It was quiet and we did not hear any noise from the adjacent rooms. Pillows and mattress were very comfortable. The heating/AC device worked well and was not too noisy. The exercise room is well equipped and they also have a nice interior heated pool which was very much appreciated. A special mention with regards to the complimentary breakfast. There was a good choice of food. The breakfast room is clean and well organized. Management and the Breakfast Attendant are taking good care of it. The coffee area is located just outside the breakfast room and coffee is available all day. And it is excellent. Toasters and Pancake Machine (different from the waffles machine we usually see) are at both ends of the counters. This set up accelerates service and keeps line-ups to a minimum during busy periods. The best set up I have seen in years. By the way, you have to try the Orange Juice. Believe me it doesn't taste water. The Hotel is well located, set back from number 1 highway. You are 10 minutes away from the Ocean. There are Excellent Restaurants nearby. Hannaford Grocery Store is 2 minutes away and it is also an Agency Liquor Store. We were very happy to discover this affordable and well located Hotel. Management and staff are all dedicated to make your stay a pleasant experience. This Hotel, in its class, deserves only good comments.

I booked a hotel through HOTELS.COM....drove 5 hours to get to said hotel to find the hotel had closed 3 1/2 months prior. After a fruitless 5 hour drive and no place to stay we stopped at a Best Western. The lady that checked us in was very kind and sympathetic. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was pretty good! Totally recommend this place!

My wife and I stayed here recently and we had a great visit. Darlene was very friendly and helpful during check in. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space. I used the fitness center in the morning and everything worked well. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We had a large Uhaul truck with us that they let us park there for a couple of hours after checkout which was helpful. I would recommend this hotel to others staying York.

Very helpful staff. Offered me a to go breakfast since I left hotel at 5:45am. Also put out other breakfast items early so I could have choices. The hotel has all the basics. Its clean and very accessible off major highways.

Nothing amazing about this hotel--stayed for a wedding. Check in was friendly, quick, efficient, ample parking. Didn't use any of the facilities or breakfast. The one quirk about this place, we had a room on the second floor and we had to take the stairs to get there (don't think there are any elevators), so just a warning if you end up on the second floor.

This is a very nice hotel with very sincerely friendly staff. Nice pool and a great breakfast with great coffee. We would definitely return to this hotel. Very ample parking and interesting restaurants are in the area.

ok stay. Hotel was ok. Nothing fancy but not a dump either. The location is very good because you are close to everything in york and close to the maine turnpike. The in room internet worked great the room was clean and the staff was friendly

In for the night for a wedding and was told to stay here from the wedding party. Very clean on the outside and inside, rooms were clean, fair amount of parking space and location is right next to the outlets and venues. Breakfast was standard and kind of small. Major issue is the sound of the ice machines that woke us up a few times during the night so ask not to be next to them or you will regret it. Overall not sure I would go back

Staff were nice, really good buffet breakfast, ample supply of hot food. Room wasn't spectacular, but comfortable. The bathroom had a few long black hairs in the tub and on the floor, which were not ours, but otherwise clean. Location was pretty good, not too far from the highway and only 5 or so minutes to the Kittery Outlets.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and reasonable priced. The breakfast was excellent. There was a good selection of items and the help was constantly making sure nothing was running out. The rooms were comfortable with two comfortable queen size beds and plenty of good lighting plus access to free wi-fi. There was a pool as well as a small fitness center that looked to be very well maintained.

The bed was better than most hotels / motels that I have stayed in. The fitness center needs work. The pool was small and I chose to not use it. The staff was VERY pleasant. Not much more that I can add,so I will ramble on until I reach the 200 words that are required to post this [ silly idea ].

Facility was very nice. Staff and Manager (Dave) were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was good......and eggs and sausage were actually nice and hot. Have already recommended this facility to others.

Nice place in a great location right on Rt. 1 in York, close to everything, including Ruby's pub. Comfy room with AC and usb cell phone chargers, bonus. Nice granite counter tops in bathrooms. Do NOT forget to hit up the breakfast, it's as good as a diner but free and no lines!!

location was OK, Room was fair, not to my expectations, desk clerks were pleasant, pool wasn't very clean, free breakfast was fair, breakfast area was small. parking was good. just not my kinda place to stay.

Our trip to visit Maine was very nice and the lodging at the Best Western York Inn was clean, comfortable and were greeted by kind and very helpful staff. Easy to find just off the interstate and plenty of parking. The only drawback was no service elevator so you must be fit enough to carry your bags up stairs when on floors above the first.

Wish I could give this review zero star. Muhammad, the manager, is a rude individual. In addition, the place appears clean on surface but just like some of the other reviews, don't look too close or you'll be saying, ewwwww. Budget hotel with luxury price tag.

4 rooms booked for wedding, most were clean, but one had blood on bed and gum in sink! Was offered sheets changed-had to ask for room change. Halls, outside, lobby very clean. Breakfast was basic and minimal. Hotel was full, but staff did try to stay top of things. Super king room is best value

I was in town for a wedding and this was the hotel that was recommended. I am not a particular fan of Best Western's and this experience did nothing to change that. The hotel is very basic for a more than basic price.

This unassuming hotel in York ME was quite a surprise when we walked into the room. The very comfortable bed and pillows welcomed us after a busy day of traveling and shopping in nearby Kittery, ME. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The extra vanity in the room made morning preparations that much easier.

We stayed here one night during a quick getaway trip to Maine. The hotel was very clean with a comfortable bed and an updated bathroom. The free breakfast was good and a step up from most hotel continental breakfasts with a few hot options as well as standard items. If I had to list one negative it would be that it isn't walking distance to anything but it's only a short drive to the beach, outlets and other local attractions.

I don't stay anywhere else. I love the comfortable beds and soft sheets in all locales. I like the price. And I love the free breakfasts. I'm never concerned about cleanliness with Best Western. Would like to see bacon on the menu!!!

Just off I 95 this hotel is near Stonewall Kitchens, a must visit when travelling through Maine. It is also handy to visit York Harbour and York Beach, not to mention the Nubble Lighthouse just around from the end of the beach. It is a spectacular sight, very popular if the numbers of tourists is any indication. The hotel is an older property but very comfortable and reasonably priced.

This hotel should probably get a plus from Best Western. The white exterior looks immaculate. For a very moderate reasonable rate, we had a king size room with a couch (sofa bed) that was way bigger than most "suites" we stayed in at other major brands. It had a large mini-fridge, not the micro ones we tend to see now. If you need a microwave, you need to go to the breakfast room. The only complaint (something I often see elsewhere) is that the shower curtain had a disagreeable smell which sometimes permeated the bathroom. Also the breakfast fare was adequate but there was no variety from day to day. All the staff were attentive and the whole hotel seemed very service oriented.

FILTHY HOTEL AND LINENS – AND BEST WESTERN CORPORATE DOES NOT CARE. Horrific hotel conditions, desk clerk's blatant refusal to contact a hotel manager/owner, and Best Western corporate customer service's denial for assistance left us – and our children - stranded with no bed to sleep in after we had checked into our room. All linens – sheets and towels – were loaded with hair. Beds were made with the hair in them. For 3 hours on a Friday night, we pleaded repeatedly for new linens, as we had absolutely no way to lay down in the stained and hair-filled linens on the bed. Dale, the front desk clerk (and ONLY employee in the hotel), continually brought soiled/hair infested linens, one time insisting he took them right out of a new package – they were certainly not factory folded and still had hair! We unfolded them right in front of him to show him. We pleaded with him for hours to contact the hotel manager or owner because we absolutely could not put ourselves into those filthy beds. He blatantly refused, and hours on the phone with Best Western customer service proved useless, as even supervisors are powerless on nights and weekends because it was outside of normal Arizona business hours. With absolutely ZERO support from Best Western customer service or the hotel itself, and with no vacancies in any hotel within many miles on a busy summer weekend, we were left out in the cold by Best Western, leaving us no choice but to check out of the hotel. They caused us to lose our family 3-night/4 day vacation weekend, and with no vacancies for many miles, we were forced to begin an hours-long trek back home in the middle of the night, beginning at 1:45am. Despite numerous pleas for hotel management to contact us, they never did, and Best Western corporate has done precious little to help resolve the problem. It took 3 days for a corporate agent to follow up with us, and after hours on the phone throughout the week, there was still is no acceptable resolution. For $200/night after taxes, I certainly didn't expect the filthy conditions we were left in, nor did I expect Best Western to display such a lack of care or concern. We refused to pay for any part of the hotel bill when we checked out. We are astounded by the complete lack of care and absence of pride by managers at this hotel, we are dumbfounded at how uninvolved both management and corporate are, and we are devastated that after costing us our entire trip, they've offered little more than a few points, which are useless to us because WE WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY BEST WESTERN AGAIN.

Large rooms, very clean, king-size room with sofa-bed just like "suites" in other chains, all at a bargain price. Hot breakfast similar to most chains with the addition of an automatic pancake machine which churns out hot thin pancakes.

Hotel is very nice. Clean and friendly staff. Breakfast tasted good. First place where breakfast staff asked how you like breakfast and ask if you want more and even took your dirty plates. We where on second flloor and manager carried luggage to our room because theres no elevators. He did say there planning on putting in elevators next year but takes money and time to do this. There is no laundry room here. Because of no elevator and laundry room and no beach view thatswhy I rated it a four or else it would be a five no problem

Great stay. Room with 2 queen beds. Traveled to Maine with our grandchildren to visit local beaches. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioner was a mystery our first day because there was tape over the buttons on the unit itself. No thermostat on wall either. After a very cold night I found a small white remote to raise the room temperature. Look for it. It's very small and I didn't notice it until my granddaughter gave it to me. If I'd been alone in the room I probably would have noticed it sooner but I didn't know to look for it. Breakfast was good variety. Same selections each day but I was pleased to see hot scrambled eggs, sausage patties as well as a pancake making option that the kids could easily operate very quickly. Better than the usual waffle making machine that takes a long time. Good fruit and yogurt as well as hard boiled eggs. Coffee and tea are always available in the lobby outside breakfast room. The only negatives we found were that the breakfast area is very small especially for busy mornings. There are a few but not enough seats outside of the room in the lobby. Also the indoor pool was over chlorinated. My grandkids love swimming. So next time I'll remember to bring goggles. They only swam a few minutes one night. It's small. But that's ok if the water was less chlorinated. Their eyes turned bright red right away. They got out and didn't use it again. Lesson learned bring goggles. Staff was wonderful. Very helpful for extra towels and shampoo which we asked for each day. Will definitely return to this hotel.

My wife and I decided to spent a few nights near beaches with shopping, nice restaurants and nearby. This place is perfect with beautiful beaches and close by shopping at Kittery outlets and Portsmouth downtown. Rooms are clean and comfy and all staff were very friendly.

Although the hotel was not up to date, it was very clean and organized. The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. The location was great. We were close to the animal park, beaches, shopping and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the York, ME area. We had a wonderful experience. We look forward to staying at the BW again in the very near future. If it were not for Tina B. we would have been stuck in ME without a way home. She was a life saver.

Rooms is the size of a large bathroom. Places is dated. If you are looking for a place do not stay here. It is not worth the money. I stay at 80% Bestwestern Hotels when I travel and the is by far the worst.

This is the second time we've stayed here. Price isn't bad, you get free breakfast, and it's close to the beach and the outlets. They could use better water pressure in their showers though. For the most part, not a bad place to stay. Would stay here again.

Overall a very good stay at the Best Western, York,ME. Reception desk staff were pleasant, Breakfast staff worked very hard to make sure everything was stocked even up to 15 minutes before breakfast time was over, came to our table to ask if we needed anything. Cleaning staff very pleasant. Our room was recently updated it seemed. Fridge and coffee maker in room was very nice to have. Bathroom was clean, linens were clean. Nothing over the top but a good value for your money especially in this touristy area at peak season. Would return if in the area.

This was the only one out of the three hotels that we stayed at during our New England trip that provided free breakfast, so points added for that!! Staff was friendly and free coffee/tea were available in the lobby, and with so many different options of syrups! Breakfast is served from 7-10am, and staff was very attentive to the breakfast bar, ensuring fresh food is refilled quickly. Breakfast options included bagels, toast, yogurt, fruits, sausage, scrambled eggs, and make your own pancakes. The room was clean and very spacious. I loved that the bathroom was very modern. There's a small indoor pool you can go to, which is opened until 10pm. The hotel itself is very wide, so it provides several alphabetized entrances, and the check-in staff lets you know which entrance is closet to your room. There's also a small guide by the hotel lobby that gives directions to the nearby attractions, including York Beach, the Nubble Lighthouse, and the local restaurants. Overall, this was a great value stay for us.

This hotel is in a great spot! Right on rte. one between Kittery and Ogunquit. Clean room, great breakfast, lots of it, and free coffee all day. Staff was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and hard working!! Thanks Angela!! See ya next year!!

Great location. The Best Western is located near shopping and attractions. Just off the expressway and easy to find. Make this your stop as this is a hassle free hotel. Close to the ocean and coastal towns but not on the ocean.

I have been going to York Maine for the past 40 years. In the past 12 years I have always stayed at the Best Western on Rt. one in Kittery. The people are wonderful and I have never had a problem. The breakfast is wonderful. If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive place to stay I highly recommend the Best Western.

Clean, staff very friendly and meet all needs with a smile. Parking not a problem. When we have had their breakfast, it has been very good and also nice selection to choose from Rooms have been very clean and conformable. Would recommend to anyone and in fact, have been recommending it to all our friends who are talking about going to Maine

Spent 3 nights here while visiting friends in Kittery. Decent room with good wifi and mini-fridge. Good choices at breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Location was perfect and off Maine turnpike. Close to York Beach, Kittery Trading Post, other outlets. Note that this is on Route 1 and can quite busy on Summer weekends. GPS helped us avoid some of the traffic and use backroads when possible.

Not a water view but smelled like low tide in the hallways. This location has received some upgrades over the years, not our first time at this hotel. Some of the staff were very pleasant, but the location needs some investment in upkeep. Breakfast is served at 7AM unlike other chains that serve at 6 AM. The front desk clerk was sleeping somewhere at 6 AM delaying our checkout.

My husband and I love ANY beach town in the summer but as you all know it can get very expensive. We would have loved to stay right on the beach but I couldn't justify the prices. Anyway, after much searching I found Best Western in York, Maine. It's only a short 5 minute ride to the York beach and about 10 minutes to Kittery and another 20 minutes to some great lobster restaurants in New Hampshire, so the location was very central. Our room, #200 was upstairs located on the end. Quite small but had a queen bed, table, 2 chairs, closet, dresser, 2 nightstands with lamps and an ample bathroom. Also included was a nice flat screen tv, a/c that worked great, windows that actually opened to get nice fresh air, coffee maker and bathroom amenities. A very sufficient free breakfast is also included, pancake maker with many toppings, eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, yogurt, muffins, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, etc. Pretty much anything you want, that runs from 7 AM - 10 AM and they constantly refill everything. It's nothing fancy but the staff is more than friendly and helpful and the room was small but very clean. The bed was super comfy too! They also offer an indoor pool and exercise room but we didn't take advantage of that. We were happy with it! Thank you to all the wonderful staff!

Great staff. Super clean hotel room. The room was spacious. The bathroom was spotless, which was a change from the hotel we had stayed at the night before. Nice breakfast. Decent location. Only 10 minutes from the beach. Outlet shopping in Kittery was 5 minutes down the road.

If you are looking a place hotel off 95 that is close to Cape Neddick that is clean, secure, and low cost the Best Western is the one. I have used this hotel multiple times as a staging point to take photos of Cape Neddick and Portland Head Light and have never been disappointed by the rooms, service, or rates. The outside is a little dates but the rooms are nice and clean.

Good location, with 5-10 min drive to kittery outlet and near beaches. Room is dated, but clean. Quality of breakfast is good, but lack of variety. Staying there for few days, but having same breakfast everyday. Breakfast starts at 7 am, would be good it can start around 6:30 am, so have more time to travel to work place for 8 am meeting No lift, tough for people with big luggage. Fully booked during summer month, need to plan early if you plan to visit York or Well in July/ August

Took my two grandsons here while they were visiting from FL. They enjoyed seeing all the animals and, in particular, feeding the ducks, goats, and deer! I also got them to pose for a photo with the snake wrapped around their shoulders! Rides were also OK but they were tired so didn't have a lot of energy left for those. Worth a visit!

This is an older hotel, but it is in a great location and the staff were the best of anywhere we stayed on our 2 week trip. Everything was neat and clean, and the location was perfect for exploring. Also, they had the best coffee complete with flavored syrups. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator, so ask for a first floor room if you can't manage the stairs with your luggage. (We had no problems carrying ours up- the stairs are wide and not very steep.). They directed us to a restaurant nearby named Ruby's, and it was fantastic.

I was traveling 07/29-30 (dealing with my folk's matters as POA) and needed a place to lay my weary head after a long day and chose this hotel... they gave me a great walk-in rate... Charlene and the General Manager (I believe) greeted and welcomed me... room was very clean, no problem... the next morning, very good breakfast... BUT I especially want to point out Angela working in the breakfast area... nice young lady, hard worker, and very accommodating... made my visit even more pleasant... if back in area, will be sure to stay here again!

great place to stay for extended period. staff were very responsive to our needs and friendly. Rooms were clean and good size. we stayed 7 nights and had no problems. we were 6 miles from the beach, close to the interstate.

While we were in the pool, we left a do not disturb sign on the door. The maid entered the room anyway, and "cleaned" the room by throwing our clothing in the trash. When confronted, she denied it and the front desk staff showed zero compassion and offered no compensation for this violation. Until that moment, we had been enjoying our stay and now we do not feel we can ever return to this hotel.

We stayed here overnight to break up a 12 hour drive to Bar Harbor. The location is convenient as it is just off I-95, close to the Kittery outlets and a short drive to York Harbor where the beaches and Nubble Lighthouse are as well as ice cream shops etc. Overall the stay was fine, nothing exceptional. It was clean, safe and the staff was polite. It offered the standard breakfast which was complimentary and had a large selection. The rooms were surprisingly spacious. Parking is free as is wifi. The fitness room was small but really good. The indoor pool is small. The only real downside to our stay was the very noisy air conditioner unit that ran on and off continually all night. And there is no elevator so we had to carry all of our bags up to the second floor room. The rooms were very quiet and beds were comfortable. Overall, not a bad choice for just one night.

The rooms were a bit dated and the bed was small. Otherwise, it was fine. The bathroom was nice, and more importantly, the room was very clean. The location is convenient to York harbor and nearby beaches. It's also close enough to Kittery and its attractions.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and orderly with very friendly employees who went above and beyond in every area. The only downside was the mattresses were slightly saggy in the middle and not quite as firm as we prefer, but overall it was a nice experience and we will stay there again without hesitation!

Good accommodations off the beach but with many attractions easily accessible. Staff was friendly and helpful. Usual type of Best Western breakfast although they did change their menu slightly the second morning we were there. Has a pancake maker rather than a waffle maker. There is not an elevator though so if you have trouble with stairs, be sure to ask for a first floor room. Only 2 floors so not too far to take up luggage.

Our stay at the Best Western in York, Maine was an excellent experience. Seeking more moderately priced accommodations than the very expensive resorts in Ogunquit, at the height of the summer season, was challenging, but thanks to the previous reviews about the Best Western in York, I booked here with some degree of confidence. We were definitely not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, I was warmly greeted by Tina at the front desk, who was great about checking us in and offering suggestions. The indoor pool looked clean and inviting, even though we did not use it during this visit. The exercise room was well equipped, and we did use that. It was clean and a perfect way to burn some calories after enjoying some very good local restaurants. Our room was extremely spacious, with a very comfortable king bed with nice bedding, excellent television, plenty of lamps, and suitable amenities. Plenty of outlets for devices. The bathroom and room were very well cared for and exceptionally clean. The housekeeping team deserves an A+, as does the whole staff, without exception. What welcoming and friendly people! Our air conditioning worked well and kept the room perfectly cool on what were some very hot days. The breakfast served each morning in the comfortable and spacious breakfast area was well above average, with warm items (eggs,sausage,pancakes) as well as items such as cereals, juices, and an assortment of bagels, muffins, English muffins, Danish, and other breads. The staff members supervising the breakfast area, (Angela and Yana) were so friendly, and we enjoyed visiting with them. Parking was conveniently close to entrances. Rooms are interior access. We were on the first floor, which was great. There are second floor rooms but no elevator. This motel is very conveniently located within an easy, short drive of Kittery and Ogunquit/Wells. It took us only 5-10 minutes to drive to either town, even with some traffic, along Rt.1. It is also convenient to I-95, and local drugstores, grocery stores, walk in clinic, and other services. Wi-fi worked well. Cell phone service was not great while in our room. I would stay here again, and would look forward to it, anytime we are going to be visiting southern Maine. Thank you to a wonderful staff for making our stay so pleasant!

The place was great! Staff was very friendly, room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, nothing special but good. Not far from restaurants and the beach. Also close to the Kittery outlets! Would definitely stay here again when we are up that way.

The hotel staff was amazing. The breakfast was great the only downside to our trip was our first time in Maine and weren't familiar with the area the internet and TV went down. We weren't able to search any foods or keep our kids happy so we could unpack.

This hotel should have a five star rating for friendliness of staff, cleanliness overall, and soft beds. From the time we checked it till the time we left we were treated like royalty. The breakfast was a complete breakfast and the indoor pool was very nice.

We stayed here on our way home from new York to Canada. We got a great deal on the room, We were exhausted from driving and this hotel gave us the perfect sleep! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The free breakfast was excellent and had lots to offer! It's in a great location, close to a beautiful beach and close to the kittery outlets if you have some extra time for shopping. We will defenitly stay here on our next trip.

this hotel is in a good location, just minutes from local attractions , staff very friendly and the rooms are huge .. breakfast is great and kid friendly .. pool is small but comfortable. no room microwave , but the do have a fridge in room . and a table to eat at

I highly recommend this hotel when staying in the York area. We were extremely satisfied with the service, the breakfast, the room etc. etc. It was very clean and our room with the king size bed was very spacious. There was an extra blanket and plenty of space. There was a nice sitting area with a pull out couch. It was quiet and very family friendly. The hotel is centrally located and easy to find.

Normally I am not thrilled at the sight of a best western. However, this one is on the better side of things. The room we were in was large, the breakfast is good, and it has a pool. It is also close enough to plenty of restaurants and attractions in York.

Seen this placed knocked online. However, I'm frugal and not very needy of amenities so I figured I'd give them a try. Don't know what people are complaining about. I feel I got what I paid for and then some. The room was clean and seemed to be recently renovated. The breakfast was more than the bagels and cereal that most chain hotels call breakfast. Granted not gourmet by any means but enough options to satisfy anyone. Will be staying there again.

We went to York for a weekend away and the hotel was nice. We had a nice, clean room and the staff was very helpful and nice. Its a bit of a drive from the beach but it's right on route 1 and it's close to lots of shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay started off great! The woman who checked us in was fantastic. She was knowledgeable about the area and let us check in early with no problems. The room was larger than we were expecting and clean. The bed had some kind of pillow topper on it that was very comfortable. They had a hot breakfast with delicious pancakes. We ended our stay with a very quick and easy check out. Very happy with our stay.

Lovely hotel, easy to get to. Staff was very helpful when we had an issue with the AC/Heater. Very quiet and comfortable room. Felt very safe and secure. Didn't use the amenities so can't really rate those but the pool and exercise room looked clean.

I had an amazing time my boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend from Friday night to sunday morning I was so happy with our stay because when we checked in the process was quick the lady at the front desk was very friendly . It is also very close to everything 5 mins away from Kittery and about 10 or 15 mins away from York beach and other parks .During our stay we got up for the free complimentary breakfast the breakfast was good ,what you would expect a small hotel ,the room was clean and the room that we were checked into was very quiet and even though the next day more guests had checked in it continued to be quiet which we loved ,we are planning to stay here again thank you so much best western .

The hotel was easy to find, right down the street from the highway. The price was reasonable as this was a 1 nighter for business. Check in experience was pleasant. The woman at the desk was helpful and friendly. She told me which door would be best to enter through, pointed to the direction of the room and even gave me a recommendation of a place to eat when asked. The lobby area was nice. Pool was behind front desk and fitness center also. Pool was indoor and looked clean, there were a few people in there. The fitness center, although small, was good enough. There were Lysol wipes and a water bottle machine in there. There is a business center in the lobby as well as vending machines and ice. The room was good. There were a few stains on the comforter that I wasn't happy about but I tossed it off the bed and placed it to the side as I always do at hotels. The bed was comfy. They provided these great amenities which I thought was a great and nice touch. There was a fridge, table with 2 chairs, USB charging ports, alarm clock, a full TV channel list and a nice big closet to hang your items/clothes in. The bathroom was very nice, including the shower head. They provide you with nice Pantene shampoo/conditioner and lotion. There is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage or bags to lug around, ask for a first floor room otherwise its the stairs your taking. Check out was good, although you can tell the man just woke up as he had bed head. He was juggling between the front desk and getting breakfast started which was at 7. I think the breakfast was a little late and should start at 6. The breakfast spread was good. I didnt have much time to stick around, so I grabbed a pancake after he got done fighting to fix it to work and some OJ and yogurt. The hotel also provides a complimentary Wall Street Journal if your interested. Other than the stained comforter, I would def recommend and stay at this hotel.

The motel was easy to find, it was very nicely decorated, there was coffee and hot water and tea available in the evening which is always nice. The room was larger than what we had reserved, it was mostly clean, there were bedside tables where they should be (and this is not always true!), the beds were comfy and the heating system was very quiet. The breakfast was just average, but adequate. All in all a good place to stay overnight.

Stayed overnight to catch a group trip from York and were very pleased to stay at the BW at York. The receptionist was friendly got us registered immediately. The room was clean and everything was in working order. Breakfast was hot and fresh. That helped us in our decision to stay there on our return trip.

While the hotel is okay, there is no elevator. So if you have luggage to carry to the second floor, you're on your own. This is the first place I've ever come across that doesn't have an elevator. The location is alright.

I booked a room with two queen beds rm 111. The room was Clean, simple, adequate, but noticeably larger than most hotel rooms. If you need extra room for sleeping bags, porta Crib etc there is plenty of room for them.

You need an additional category: York Inn was better than average, but I would not call it very good. It provides good basic accommodation and would be of particular value to families, as there is a swimming pool, and York Beach is not far away. The breakfast was very good with a variety of alternatives including sausages and omelets. I traveled solo and stayed in a ground floor room with queen -sized bed. It contained all of the necessities, was clean and comfortable. There was no microwave in the room, but there was one with the soda and snack machines. The Wi-Fi in the room worked fine. Rather unusually, it provided decent value for a solo traveler.

My husband and I stopped in York on our way driving south for our honeymoon. We were pleased with the hotel, the gal at front desk was super nice, the room was clean and comfortable. We were looking for a good place to stay for our overnight to York and this filled the bill. Staff was very courteous. The King Bed was very comfortable. The internet was dependable. The TV was a good size and had a simple to use remote control.

After Christmas, me and my wife decided to do a road trip and our first stop was around Kittery and York in Maine. The situation of the hotel was excellent because we were close of the main arteries like Route 1 and Interstate 95. The hotel was very good and we had no complaints whatsoever concerning the service and hospitality provided to us. Yes, I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Clean, comfortable accomodations close to Kittery outlet malls. Small pool that has a rough concrete surface and can cause skin abrasions if you are not careful. It should be resurfaced to a smooth finish to eliminate this hazard. Staff are helpfull and the breakfast is satisfactory.

We have been staying at this hotel for years. It is always clean, and staff always very pleasant. They directed us to a bar and grill across the street, that is the best. We eat there almost every night. It is great to have everything so handy.

This is a perfectly serviceable hotel. Very quiet other than doors banging, contrary to some reviews below. The owner (or a relative) was always present, which led to a sense of pride in the place, as well as a sense of security in staying there. It's no palace, and the breakfast is fairly mediocre. But, if you do stop in for breakfast, try the pancake machine. I want one for my house. Comfy beds, clean and updated rooms. What else does one need in a hotel in this price range?

It is a good hotel, which we found last fall and stayed at this fall. The rooms are clean, but a bit smallish. However, for us a a couple, just passing through, it is just fine. It has a nice pool and exercise room.

Clean and efficient are adjectives I would use for this Best Western facility. We needed just one night's stay to attend a wedding and the breakfast the following morning. Our check-in and check-out desk people were courteous and helpful. The experience makes me open to looking for Best Western hotels in the future.

This is an OK motel on the Route 1 strip, but I had a bad experience with the manager after I accidentally left something in my room, called to confirm they had it at the desk, then later was told by the manager that it was "mailed" to me and it clearly was not, so he obviously lied. Not sure why - perhaps they threw it out by mistake and were too embarrassed to admit it? In any case, dishonesty is not a good trait for a hotel manager so I would not recommend this place. Sorry.

The Best Western, York is a good location for anyone using the I-95 or visiting Kittery. The hotel has excellent curb appeal and the grounds and parking give the hotel a clean, appealing appearance. The hotel is well run, with a helpful staff. The rooms are very clean, quiet and functional. I would certainly recommend this hotel for overnighting or a short visit to Kittery. I really find the 200 word minimum annoying, if it takes 200 words to describe a one night stop at a hotel you have a problem.

Room we had was very small and the air conditioner ran on/off/on/off very loudly and continuously all night. nothing special about this particular hotel. we have stayed in other Best Westerns that were very nice. Upon check out the owner ( or relative) checked us out. Made no eye contact or conversation. Not good business in my opinion.

Hotel was a good value for the money. About 5 miles from the coast. Rooms were very big. Hallways and lobby furnishings were a little dated but clean hotel. Breakfast items were just ok...I would recommend and would stay there again.

Newly decorated, quiet and clean. Have stayed here before on trips along the Maine coast. Location is just above Portsmouth, NH and near Kittery which has lots of Shopping. York beach area is a must see.
