    « Very good acommodation »

The rooms here are very clean, offer good comfort & facilities with a really good bed. The Motel is in a great position with good access to warrnambool attractions. However, we really look forward to starting our day with a good breakfast & I have to say the breakfast here was well below par. Poached eggs (1 broken) on a slice of toast (hardly cooked) with bacon (kept in warmer to achieve a leather like consistency), 2 small sausages (obviously kept with bacon - very dry) , 2 hash browns which were great & 2 pieces of grilled tomato which were ready to draw the pension. . Very surprising for a place that obviously kept a high standard for their rooms, we would stay again but perhaps have the Continental next time!

    « Very pleasant stay »

We stopped here for one night while passing through. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We were a bit worried at first because a guest in another room was having a heated argument with another guest and after seeing this happen at other motels we thought we were in for a very long night! The manager though had things sorted quickly and we didn't hear another word. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were enjoyable. Steak was a little pricey but we have since learned the price is pretty comparable with other places. It was still very nice, just we are just a bit spoilt coming from Tasmania where the same price gets very high end meals. Would definitely stay again.

    « Outstanding! »

This was our second stay at the Olde Maritime Motor Inn and on both ocassions we have been really impressed. Raj and all of the staff are friendly and attentive and have made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a luxury heritage room - so clean and spacious, tastefully furnished with lovely linen on the bed. Bathroom is huge with a great shower. Breakfast making facilities, with microwave, are also available in the room. The on-site restaurant is fabulous, delicious food and an impressive wine selection. Overall great value - we will be back!

« Friendly, clean and good value »

Our room was clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Location is great, close to everything. Would definitely stay again. Great value. Free wifi. Overall a great place to stay.

    « Great overall.... »

After a bit of a clumbsy check in for 6 of us i eventually found my room despite signage for room 40 directing me elsewhere. Room 40 is a house. WOW. There was a huge spa bath. The facilities are lovely. I recommend breakfast in your room as it arrives promptly with a smile and believe it or not it is streaming hot, tasty, loved and fresh. The site restaurant is good value and good quality. My only comment is the bathroom in my house had a residual smell that needs to be tackled. Close to the beach which has amazing sunrises.

« Between CBD and beach »

4 blocks from CBD, close to Flagstaff Hill and the beach. Nice rooms, the vanity in the bathroom could a bit bigger. Rooms that face the road do suffer from road noise and pedestrians walking past. The bar and restaurant are excellent with great staff and service; an unusual selection of more the 40 types of beers and ciders. Rooms 18 and 19, you can hear just about every action in their bathroom, had to close my bathroom door to reduce the unsettling sounds. Parking was tight for 4x4.

« Friendly. Puts the hospitality back in prime position. »

Warm and welcoming with friendly, attentive staff, great restaurant, great facilities. Very enjoyable and restful. Upon arrival, all options and services were quickly and efficiently explained. Good value, top service, very pleasant.

« Excellent location for anyone coming by train and sightseeing on foot »

Couldn't fault location; right across the road from Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum, 5 mins walk from park and about 7 mins from shops and cafes. Beach about 12 mins walk away. Hotel was very clean and has its own excellent restaurant and bar. Both the cooked and continental breakfasts were excellent and the staff were all very friendly, particularly the breakfast waitress. Was even offered lift back to station by proprietor, but even that is only a 15 min walk.

« Good hotel in downtown Warrnambool »

We stayed one night at this hotel after driving from Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road. The Hotel room was very clean, had great internet reception which was included. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. The room we stayed in included breakfast which was any item from the breakfast menu, plus coffee, tea or juices. The breakfast was well prepared and great. The only negative thing I have about this hotel is that we ate our evening meal at the restaurant and neither my selection from the menu nor my partners selection from the menu were all that great. I selected a chicken breast that was stuffed with cheese and something else. It came with a vegetable and a frittata and oddly it was served with beef jus. The chicken, frittata, and vegetables came in a bowl with beef jus at the bottom which was a type of beef boullion. It did not go well with the chicken. The chicken itself was well cooked though you could not taste the cheese stuffing. I started to soak up the beef jus and it did not taste great. The frittata also was swimming in the beef juice and was soggy and disgusting tasting. I did not complain as there was nothing else on the menu that appealed to me, and I was hungry so ate the chicken and part of the frittata. My partner ordered a past dish that was supposed to come with an alfredo sauce, mushrooms and chicken. It came in a bowl with very little sauce so it was a bit goopy and the chicken came shredded in the dish which as far as he said gave it an odd texture. I would have thought that the chicken would come chunked. He also said that it did not have good flavour and only ate about half of it. We had planned on having desert but since we did not enjoy the main course we decided to skip the desert. The restaurant did seem popular as there were some locals that came in but maybe it was just my north American taste buds that did not like the meal or we just chose the wrong items. Other than that the hotel was great, the breakfast was great and the service was good and I would stay here again.

« Friendly service, comfortable room, good location and lovely stay overall »

Lovely comfortable motel. Very warm welcome and friendly service from all staff encountered including at reception, bar, restaurant and cleaning staff - they were all helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and appointed as expected. Bathroom compact and clean - shower is small. We liked that they have a single shampoo/soap dispenser in shower and at basin rather than lots of little disposable bottles. There's is an on-site restaurant (Clovelly restaurant) where we had dinner twice - delicious food, obliging staff and family friendly. Children's menu had lovely choices and great value. Good location opposite (over the road from) Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village and quite close to Lake Pertobe park and the Warrnambool foreshore beach. Would happily stay there again next time we visit Warrnambool.

    « Very enjoyable stay. »

Stayed here for 4 nights with a friend to see the Maritime Village and night show as well as other attractions around Warrnambool. There really wasn't much to fault at all. The room we had was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The shower was great. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was also great. Plenty on offer for the continental buffet and excellent hot breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast conversations with Bec. Parking was easy as well. The motel was located across the road from the village, but town was only a few minutes walk away, as was the RSL. There are plenty of food options in Warrnambool. Most definitely wold stay here again if coming back to Warrnambool.

    « Welcoming great service »

We enjoyed our overnight stay, the room was great and the dinner and breakfast were first class. To find a washing machine and tumble tryer after a long trip was great. The room was quite small, but more than adequate for an overnight. Highly recommend it.

« Great for Short Break »

Stayed here for two nights with a work colleage to attend a two day conference. Have stayed in Warrnambool several times and it is always a delightful place to stay. Shared a two bedroom apartment which was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. As a result we decided to purchase some brekkie foods and made our own before attending conference. The motel was walking distance to town, shops, conference and train station. Will travel by rail next time as more relaxing then long drive. Apartment did have a washing machine, dryer and bath so ideal for families. Motel does have and on site restaurant and bar which we didn't have time to try. Very obliging staff.

« End of the Ocean Road. »

This Motor Inn was at the e d of our trip down the Great Ocean Road. The room was clean and tidy and provided for all that was required. There is WiFi throughout. The breakfast is either continental or cooked with a charge of either $20 or $10 depending on what you have. A reasonably good stay for the price.

« If you like "good service" this is the best »

I've never met an accommodating and kind person like Raj, the owner of this nice and clean Motel, in Warrnambool. I like to thank Raj because, in my stay at his beautiful Motel, the 22nd of January, he helped me a lot. I don't need to say how he helped me out, but what I can say is that I would like to find anywhere I go people like him and his staff. Again, thank you very much Raj and if I will come back to Warrnambool the Best Western Olde Maritime Motor Inn will be the place to stay again.

« Canadian Farmers stay for 3 days »

Our group of 34 farmers was well looked after during our 3 days in the area visiting farms and the Midfield Group operations. We had breakfast and supper every day and did not mind missing all the other interesting places to eat locally.

    « Really nice people »

We turned up without a booking, all the staff were really nice, everyone interested in where we'd been and where we were from. Room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great but make sure you are hungry as the portions are not small ??. It made a very pleasant end to a long a tiring drive along the ocean road. Would strongly recommend .

    « Great service »

We stayed 2 nights on our road trip from Sydney to Adelaide. Bronwyn and Raj and team gave us a warm welcome and were happy to help with our planned visits to this beautiful part of Australia. Rooms, food and service were of an excellent standard. Can't go wrong booking here!

« Great experience in Warrnambool. »

I stayed here for about 6 weeks on business. Great team, good location, great restaurant. Staff and owners were always courteous, friendly and professional. Restaurant great food and good value. Owner Raj is always around, involved and attentive. Highly recommended.

« Perfect in every way »

This was a motel that is probably like lots of other motels, the service though is top quality. Not only were we greeted perfectly on arrival and asked if we needed assistance with baggage we discovered all staff treated us the same. Stayed for dinner and the restaurant staff not only provided us with a beautiful meal and drinks they ensured the sun was not in our face and that we were comfortable, also asked how our meal was. The whole experience was perfect, will be returning for sure.

    « Great location »

We stayed for two nights and while we enjoyed all aspects of our stay, without a doubt it's the people who make it special. A building is a building - but the people set it aside and make it something else. Our room was fairly standard Australian motel style, nothing special, quite compact but very clean and well presented. The bed was comfortable, nice pillows and linen; the bathroom was functional but was very much on the "squeezy" side. The bar and restaurant are nice space and Friday evening happy hour offered a bargain in comfortable surroundings. The location is excellent - close to the foreshore, an easy walk to the main town area, very easy to get in and out of; we were also pleased that it was nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

« A stay made special by Raj & his team »

My fiance and I stayed one night in January in a deluxe spa room. Having got engaged about 10 days earlier, my sister contacted Raj and sent through a card to greet us on our arrival. He looked after it for a week before we even got there and subsequently placed it (along with a little something extra) in the room as a lovely surprise for when we got there. He ensured that we felt special throughout our short stay and we cannot thank the team enough for a lovely, if brief stay. On a slightly more practical note, the room we had was large with a comfortable bed and all the amenities necessary. Plenty of parking and a good restaurant/bar in the main building made for a very enjoyable stay. Though Raj was obviously aware of our engagement we saw the manner in which he, and his team, interacted with other guests and do not doubt that all guests are treated equally as well as we were.

« Good hotel in loveley town »

Had a room facing the road with a bay window, but hardly heard any traffic. Comfy bed in tired, but clean and well appointed room that had plenty of space for cases. Friendly staff and lovely restaurant attached where food was great. Bar staff too are very helpful. Car parked outside of room and so handy in that respect. Well placed for walk round town with some interesting places to visit. short walk to beach areas.

« GREAT LOCATION AND SERVICE »

I booked my room on line, and for some reason I thought I had booked a room with two beds, but in fact had booked a queen bed room. I asked Raj if it was possible to change to a two bedded room and he offered me a two bedroom apartment for a very slight increase per night rate. This was perfect and I really appreciated his generosity. Our apartment was very clean, had lots of space and had everything we required. I have stayed here before (in two very nice rooms facing Banyan Street), as the location is excellent and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend the Olde Maritime Motor Inn.

    « Great hotel, great staff, just don't book a economy/budget/small room »

We booked this hotel way in advance and Neede a room with two beds. There was only one choice and we booked that for a heavy price. When we arrived we were assigned room 11 and told it was nice and cozy. Well it had two separate beds and that was about it, no chairs, no table, no desk, nothing. We talked to the friendly manager and apparently we booked a room that had different names like small / budget or in our case econ. What apparently ment economy. We discussed this a little since this room was not listed and the website of the hotel. The manager addressed this immediately and offered us a free drink and a discount on the room. We slept well just had to manage space. The included hot breakfast was superb en cooked to order. So definitely go to this hotel just make sure you keep away from the small room numbered 11...

    « A luxurious home-away-from-home. »

Raj, Bronwen and their friendly staff ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The rooms are large, bright and have ultra comfortable beds. The property is ideally located - an easy walk to the Maritime Village, the arts precinct, restaurants, shops, cinema and the foreshore. Port Fairy, Tower Hill and the Great Ocean road attractions are not far by car. This is a perfect place to stay and enjoy Warrnambool. My adult son and I really look forward to our mini breaks at the Olde Maritime. Pamela McIntosh

« Good hotel - booked Standard Twin Room - should have booked premium »

First - the Hotel Manager, Raj, was very friendly, welcoming and I appreciated the service received at the hotel. The restaurant service was great as well. A couple of thoughts: Breakfast was decent - not great, but good enough. Booked the Standard Twin room - we were staying for only 1 night as we were passing through and it sufficed. For more than 1 night, definitely go with a premium or luxury room as the standard twin is extremely small. I would definitely stay here again - location was great. I would just probably book a premium or luxury room first.

« Stayed with group - Great Service »

I just recently have stayed this BW Olde Maritime for 3 nights from end of the year 2017 through to new year 2018 with my group (13 people all Japanese). I have experienced to stay this hotel a several times. They are always providing us nice service. We took 3 dinner at Clovelly Restaurant which next to Olde Maritime reception. All the staff are very friendly and gave us natural smiles. I recommend to stay to take their Omotenashi!

    « Luxury Accommodation »

Checked in on our way through to Robe and was a great choice. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary so we were given a room upgrade to a Spa Suite. Was a lovely spacious room with a huge bathroom with a spa bath. Lovely friendly staff and great price. Would definitely recommend.

« Treated us well though we could not stay »

Raj the General Manager tried to confirm the credit card for our reservation the day we were to arrive. Our card number had changed since we initially made the reservation, so he could not confirm it. He tried many times to contact us the day of our arrival. Through no fault of his, we could not be reached, and being fully booked, he gave our room to someone else. We showed up that evening not knowing any of this. We were disappointed, of course, and don't blame him for canceling us. In any case, Raj went out of his way and booked us at the other Best Western down the street. And as our booking with him included breakfast, he generously offered to have us come back the following morning and have breakfast at his motel. When we returned for breakfast the next day, the server asked for our room number. We explained the situation and without hesitation, she told us not to worry and help ourselves to the buffet, and took our orders for the cooked dishes. We were delighted by their response and quality of the food. After seeing the gracious hospitality by Raj and his staff, I wish we could have stayed there!

    « Good »

Sometimes this site really peeves me because I had cause to go to this motel on three separate occasions since August of this year whilst I have been in Warrnambool on business and each time each time was a little better than the previous time. This review relates to the second stay some 4 weeks after the first. We had to get very quickly settled in our room and then off to our dinner meeting. The reception staff made check in very fast and then after the meeting we were able to return for a quite drink and then off to bed. Comfortable is a good work to describe this motel and yes I would definitely recommend it. I'm back in Warrnambool in December, and I wonder if I'll have to wait to do reviews.

    « What a hell of a good place to stay ! »

From check in to check out the experience is good. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was large and well equipped, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent and speedy, allowing me to get to appointments on time. This was a really great package and I will be back when next in Warrnambool.

    « Highly recommend »

We stayed here last night, had dinner and breakfast here too. We were given the highest standard of service from all the staff we encountered. Our suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. Would definitely return. Thank you Raj and team!

    « Highly recommend »

I spent two nights in a premium room and loved it. The customer service at this motel is outstanding. Rooms are lovely and very clean. Great location close to town centre. The restaurant had very nice food. In a heartbeat I would stay here again.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

My husband and I recently had the greatest pleasure to stay in this gem. Raj and the staff were just amazing from check in through to check out. We enjoyed drinks in the bar as well as dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, the food was excellent but the best part was the staff, these people are the best. The room was also of a high standard and spotlessly clean. This is our must stay if we are ever in town.

    5
    « Amazingly beautiful »

Thankyou to Raj and the awesome team for their wonderful experience in our stay. We were treated with the most beautiful room for our family, the meals and hospitality were without fault for the stay we had with our club run. Will be back again. Thanks heaps for looking after us. « Clean & Spacious »

We needed a room for four - two couples. We booked last minute over the phone the old fashioned way! Staff were lovely. Rooms where comfortable and clean. The bathroom was spotless and had a separate toilet. It was quiet and spacious. Well priced. Highly recommend for an overnight stay in Warrnambool.

    « Amazing »

My wife and I spent 5 nights here and of all the places I have been in the world, this is up there with the best. The whole experience was 5 star from start to finish. The staff were amazing and couldn't be more helpful.

« Amazing and we can't wait to return »

We stayed 2 nights in room 22 and had the best 2 night stay ever. The room was the Heritage Queen Room and it was beautiful with two stunning old fire places in there. The room was Immaculately clean, very spacious and quiet. Plenty of room to park in the car park. Raj on reception is super lovely and friendly. We have stayed in other hotels in Warrnambool and The Olde Maritime wins them all hands down. The hotel is walking distance to everywhere around town. It's the perfect choice and we would highly recommend.

    « A delightful 2 night stay »

This Motor Inn is directly opposite a major attraction at Warrnambool - The Maritime Museum. We stayed in room 23 -a part of the "Harbour Master Suites. The room was beautifully renovated only 12 months ago and has a fresh new feel about it. There is no view as such. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets -very new. We had two breakfasts at the restaurant and only for it being closed, booked for a function on one night, we would have enjoyed 2 evening meals there. Our waitress Marita was a gem. The meals were 1st class. The motel is run by Raj and his style is of the type who never misses an opportunity to ensure everything runs smoothly. It was a pleasure to stay there and we will be back.

« Fabulous staff, fabulous place, fabulous food, fabulous service!!! »

Arriving with a colleague on a business trip, we were warmly welcomed . My colleague was quite ill and the staff couldn't have done anymore for us if they tried . Making us a reservation for dinner and taking our order and putting it on hold while my colleague visited the local drs. Provided a late checkout at our request so my colleague could rest before the trip home. We set up shop in the lounge area later in the morning so we could work until we needed to leave. Packed us a delicious take away lunch for our journey home and bent over backwards for us. The service at this establishment is nothing other than amazing! I have been here several times and can honestly say I have never been anywhere that provides service to their patrons even remotely close to this establishment. Don't go past this place , for accommodation, meals and outstanding service. I would rate 10 stars if I could ! **********

    « Modern clean friendly - fantastic »

We stayed in the family rooms - in the fully restored harbour masters cottage. Room has a queen bed and dining area as you walk in, large bathroom to the left and 2 single beds upstairs in the loft/mezzanine. The welcome by Raj, the owner, was fantastic very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean. The queen bed was comfortable, pillows were a bit soft for us so we used our own. Children went to sleep with no problems and slept through. There is a small drawback with the room in that you can hear next door going up their stairs and coughing etc. couldn't hear talking. This didn't wake us or keep us awake. Had a lovely view out the window. Location was perfect for us, an easy walk to several places including the adventure park and beach which are 5mins down the hill. There is a toaster and plates etc in the room so you can make a basic breakfast as well as some real milk enough for some cereal and tea/coffee. So, for a clean comfortable modern well appointed room - definitely recommend.

    « It's like coming home »

The rooms are alway impeccably clean, staff are down to earth, friendly and very helpful. Very close walk into shops, and walking tracks. The restaurant meals are reasonably priced and delicious. Feels very safe for work travel as well.

    « Brilliant. »

One of the best Motels we have stayed in. The staff on arrival were extremely pleasant and helpful, the Owner/ Manager offer to carry our luggage in for us. The weather was not great so we ate in the restaurant, one of the best meals we have had on our trip, and the 2 waitresses Harriet and Jasmine, 2 extremely brilliant, warm and friendly girls, nothing was an issue. Truely one of the best places we have stayed. Will definitely be back.

« Great location, friendly and helpful staff. »

Had a week's break at this lovely hotel and really enjoyed the well prepared and tasty meals we ate in the restaurant. Both restaurant and hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and made the visit very enjoyable. We loved the location, walking distance to the city and the ocean and fantastic location when in Warrnambool.

    « Family Gathering »

This motel has been around many years but has kept pace with the top end of town. It has got the best customer service that I have come across in a long time. From the management to front reception to bar and wait staff the service is exceptional . Warm friendly informative and welcoming. There is no pretention . The rooms are spotless and very well maintained reinforcing what a well run establishment it is. The food is good but it's the service which is the standout. Top class

    « Warrnambool Weekend »

I stayed at Ye Olde Maritime Motel whilst attending a weekend training course. I've stayed here before (2009) and was delighted to know I'd be back. The motel is across the road from the Maritime Museum - a fantastic experience in itself - and central to everything. There's a restaurant and bar attached to the Motel too, which serves delicious meals . The rooms are clean, well presented, and have all you need. There's off-street parking, it's not noisy and the staff are great. I'd certainly come back again.

« Great position. Very well run establishment. »

Walking in from a day's travel and getting that very welcoming greeting is such a great start to the establishment. Room was very clean and well laid out. Bathroom was well presented. Situated at the top end of town so it's very easy to walk to the shops. Across the road is the best maritime replica village I have ever been in. Spent about 2 hours walking around. Well worth stay for that alone. Went to Port Fairy the next day and looked around at the history of that town. Lots to see in Warrnambool and 2 days wasn't enough. And if you go in August as we did, you can seen the whales with their calves only 200 metres of the beach.

    « Outstanding Experience »

My family and I stayed for a 2 night stay. We had room 35 which is one of the family rooms. The room was well appointed and more enjoyable to stay in than the usual family room set-up that we've stayed at before at other Motels. The view was excellent with the ocean being visible from the lounge room/ downstairs bedroom and up stairs was a loftstyle queen bedroom. The management and staff were exceptional; friendly and always happy to be helpful. The food at the restaurant was exquisite and easily some of the best food I've ever tasted. I'd definitely highly recommend if you're staying to give the restaurant a visit; you won't be disappointed.Couldn't be happier.

    « Excellent stay »

Stayed here for an overnight stay.Well presented and very clean motel. Had room number 25 which was located upstairs, has fantastic views and was reasonably quiet.Bed comfortable and furniture lovely. Also has a spacious and modern bathroom. Impressed with the location of the motel, close to the beach and walking distance to many places in the city centre. Exceptional service provided by manger Raj, very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend staying at this motel. If traveling to Warrrnambool again, will endeavor to stay here again.

    « Very Good »

We stayed here last night and it was really very good. We had a suite and it was very comfortable. We had a queen size bed and the bathroom was usable and very white and very bright. The bed was firm but it was comfortable and the room was very quiet. No external noises so it was nice and quiet. We had dinner there and I have to say that the staff were terrific and the food wasn't 3 bad either. Recommended

    « A fantastic find! »

We reached the Twelve Apostles in time for sun down, then continued our journey to Warrnambool where we were welcomed and checked in here for the night. Nothing was too much trouble. We looked at 3 rooms and chose our favourite, then, once unpacked, had sensational steaks in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. Our suite was lovely- enough space for two adults and two adult sized 13 year olds! We were delighted to find electric blankets on the beds, as a welcome extra! After a continental breakfast, Raj talked us through the map, highlighting key features/areas on The Great Ocean Road which were not to be missed. His valuable input really helped to enrich our experiences for our onward journey! Highly recommended.

From the first point of call which was a phone call and I spoke with Emma( who was lovely and friendly ) to checkout, what an amazing stay. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. We were upstairs and it was so quiet. It had everything you need. We dined in the restaurant after reading the reviews and we were so not disappointed. Reasonably priced and to give the meal 10 out of 10 is not enough. I had the pumpkin soup which exceeded my expectations followed by the chicken, my partner had the curry chicken and our plates were wiped clean, there wasn't a single morsel left. Then the wonderful friendly waitress Harriet made our night, she was delightful and very friendly and made us feel special. We saw her again the next morning for breakfast which was another amazing meal. The continental breakfast was great with a choice of fresh fruits, cereal, toast and tea, coffee and juice. The second time we had breakfast there we opted for the cooked breakfast, partner had bacon and eggs, I had the French toast with raisin bread and fruit, once again ten out of ten isn't enough, absolutely delicious. I will be coming back to stay here again as the cleanliness of the motel and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. Highly recommend.

« Great last minute find! »

Pulled into Warrnambool tired after a long day on the road travelling towards home, had trouble finding accommodation, found the last room at the inn... made to feel very welcome on check in (and check out), decided to dine in the restaurant... what a lovely surprise and great feed! Then indulged in a cheese platter back in the room whilst watching the TDF! Bed was soooooo comfy!

    « Just perfect »

When we arrived, the person at Check-in was so nice and friendly. Gave us all the infos about the room, the location, the restaurant, happy-hour. Room is great, clean and warm. The Free wi-fi is a little slow but not a problem There is everything we need close to the hotel A great place and I recommend.

    « Loved our stay »

Really enjoyed our stay here, room more than adequate, clean, warm and cosy. Opted for a included breakfast which exceeded expectations. Would recommend this hotel, reasonably priced, good position, very friendly staff.

« Great customer service, clean, basic rooms »

We stayed for two nights in two seperate rooms, kids in one room grown ups in the other. Kids loved the free wi-fi. We had breakfast one both mornings and dinner on Saturday night. Easily the best meals of the whole weekend, I'm still longing for more of the seafood pasta I had for dinner. The rooms were basic but clean and we were very comfortable. Our rooms were facing the road on the ground floor and there was no issue with traffic noise. Thanks to Bec for great service and making us laugh at breakfast. Jono and Luke for a delicious dinner and Harry and Larry :) and Courtney for lovely dinner service. Great location, walked to town and after the kids finished dinner they could go back to their room and leave us to enjoy our espresso martini

    « Perfect location »

This was our second stop on The Great Ocean Road and what a great Motel. Conveniently located across the road from Flagstaff Hill where we experienced a fabulous laser light show before returning for a meal at Clovelly Restaurant. Apparently we sampled their newest menu and it was absolutely delicious. I had the eye fillet and my husband had the fish, lovely meals. The restaurant was very cosy and the waitresses were friendly, attentive and efficient. Breakfast was also lovely. Our room was very comfortable and clean, all the staff were very helpful and friendly from check in to check out. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

    5
« Great position and friendly welcome »

The room was simple but warm with all necessary for a night or two's stay . It is opposite Flagstaff Hill Village which was great to see the night shows and head back to the restaurant to warm up with some delicious food . Found the staff so welcoming and helpful.

    « Great all rounder »

One nighter. Nice staff. Nice upgrade on arrival by Raj, nice guy. All staff are really sweet. Food is good. Nice bar. Everything you need. Recommend staying here. Close to town. Parking outside rooms.

    « Customer service with a smile. »

The service I received by the waitresses in the Clovelly Restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. Thank you to Harriet and Larissa for making my dining experience some enjoyable. Impeccably mannered accompanied with a warming friendly smile. As the cherry on the top the food was very enjoyable. You would be doing yourself an injustice if you don't choose to dine in the restaurant during your stay. Raj you need to give these girls a pay rise as they are more then worth whatever you are currently paying them. As for the accommodation the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The room service was on point. My only negative was that the TV is located too far away but hey I can live with this given the level of service provided. Without doubt I would stay here again.

« Amazing restaurant staff and food »

My partner and I stayed at an apartment on Banyan Street but had dinner at the Best Western dinner on a Sunday night after seeing that the menu had a lot of vegetarian options. I'm a vegan, and when we told our waitress Harriet, she bent over backwards to work with the chefs to accomodate us with substitutions for all the meals we chose, and brought wine bottles out for us so I could check the labels. The chefs didn't just remove dairy and eggs, but invented new additions to mushroom dishes and for us to try and used olive oil instead of butter, and they were exceptionally good about everything. We cannot recommend enough eating here if you are in the area. Thanks everyone!

    « Lovely short stay. »

The owner Raj was extremely friendly with guidance and we got this lovely Victorian family room with a loft and the younger one was just so excited climbing up and down the stairs. Nice and very clean... Worth every penny.

« Great hotel with helpful staff »

Our Family Mezzanine room was clean and suited our needs. There was a queen bed on the mezzanine level and two singles down below. I wouldn't say the rooms are 'modern' but they fit the into the 'Olde Maritime' theme of the hotel. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant every day and the waiter in there remembered who we were and would always make a point to have a chat with us. Would definitely stay here again as it is within walking distance to the lake which has a great playground if you have children.

    4
« Good place to stay at reasonable price »

It is a little off the city centre, but walking distance of about 7 minutes. Ample free parking. It's next to Flagstaff Hill Maritime centre. My family of 3 had a nice spacious room with comfortable beds. Toilet and bath was a bit tight though. Clean and well maintained. There is a restaurant in the motel with breakfast available.

    1
« Passing by but please avoid »

Let's start on a positive note first: the girl who checked me in was very helpful and super friendly. From then on: downhill The room (I got "upgraded" to spa bath) was dark, gloomy and facing the road on one side and parking lot on other side - bed uncomfortable. Bathroom 80's but ok shower pressure - whilst checking out I said something as "you should consider to give a free bottle of water to your guests" : that was definitely not welcomed as feedback and the woman at the desk was very unfriendly including you shouldn't have booked through Booking.com because we pay them commission that could have been your bottle of water... That's why I will never stay Best Western again and why I am happy to be a gold member of other hotel chains who do value customers and try and service them according to nowadays standards and comfort - oh and if you wonder how much I paid for this? 170 dollars - that's 170 too many

« Lovely place to stay »

My family and I stayed for 4 nights and found all the staff professional, caring, thoughtful and always polite and friendly. Our rooms were lovely, clean and very comfortable and the room service fast and friendly. We went to dinner at the 'Clovelly' Restaurant which is part of the Best Western and again the staff were frendly and professional. Every evening we all looked forward to going to the Bar Lounge area of the Best Western to sit quietly, feeling the warmth of the fireplace and have a glass of wine and chat. We really did feel as though we were staying in our home away from home. Thank you to all the wonderful staff associated with the hotel.

This was one of the best accommodations that we stayed in while touring Southern Australia and Victoria. It was clean, well appointed, the staff was professional and friendly as well as helpful. The amenities were very good for a travelling bicyclists. The excellent service started through an email inquiry and did not end until checkout.

    « great place-amazing staff »

Have rarely experienced such amazing staff. They were all so helpful and welcoming. One of our group was a vegetarian and a waitress gave us the address of a another restaurant in town she thought we might like to try.The rooms were so spacious and the TV in lounge and bedroom large and easy to use.A washing machine and clothes dryer welcome addittions. The restaurant food was just great.Room service breakfast actually arrived on time every day and was hot. There is a fire in the lounge area which also had a bar and a bar menu. Right on the beach area I would strongly recommend for families.

3 nights here at the Olde Maritime. Its like home away from home. Beautiful property. Large rooms, spa. Amazing food and fantastic service. The owners, Raj and Bronwyn are the most amazingly welcoming people. They can't do enough for all their guests to ensure their stay here is a brilluant experience. The staff go over and above to service the guests. Thanks Raj and Bronwyn. Will definitely return

« Actions speak louder than words. Not good. »

So disappointed. I booked a room, clear on the phone call about our interest in the extra space. They accepted the booking and then downgraded us to a smaller room. No phone call to discuss. No notification when we checked in. Only after we found our room was not what we booked and paid for did they start to apologise. They left us with two options ? accept the smaller room or leave. We left. If you choose to stay here, value their actions not their words. BTW, we found a much better option. My other reviews give further information if you're interested.

« Best Motel In Warrnambool »

We've stayed at various motels in Warrnambool over the years and this is the best. Great friendly people, nice rooms, nice and cosy bar, a terrific restaurant with a good menu selection and good food. Could'nt fault it.

« Great value luxury family room »

We stayed overnight in the family room on the way back to Adelaide. Our room had recently had a very nice renovation and we were quite impressed. Bathroom was modern and clean. Kids had a separate tv upstairs in the mezzanine room which they were very excited about. Considering we paid only slightly more than we would have for an 80s style cabin in a caravan park we thought price was very reasonable and it also included breakfast for 4. The manager Raj was very helpful and parking was secure and safe. Would highly recommend paying a few dollars extra to stay here over the more budget style rooms available.

    5
« Clean tidy and welcoming »

The property was very well maintained and clean. Staff at the front made you feel welcome form the moment you stepped through the door. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional and plentiful, all in all wont hesitate staying here again that's for certain!

    « First class service! »

My partner and I stayed over Easter with family and have nothing but praise for the way we were treated by Raj and Bronwyn and their amazing staff. We had special requirements and they made sure every detail was attended to without even needing to ask. The rooms are fantastic (the beds beyond comfie!) and the food was beautifully presented, great tasting and very well priced. This is outback second visit and we will definitely be back. Thanks again guys.

    « Above and beyond »

Our family of five stayed here when we were passing through the area. They couldn't have been more helpful. We originally booked the wrong date and they were more than accommodating to change the date even though it was my fault. The service was very friendly when we arrived and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We have three small children and found it all to be very child friendly, particularly at the onsite restaurant. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.

    « Mick and Sue »

Hotel / Motel is very warm and friendly and from the moment we arrived we have been made very welcome. The rooms are comfortable. We had the 2 bed apartment and have been very happy and we had everything we needed. Nothing has been too much trouble for them even when catering for children they have excelled. The food has been excellent both breakfast and evening meals. We would highly recommend this Best Western. There's so much to see and do for the family within walking distance

    « Excellent Service »

Staff are so friendly and service is excellent. Check in is smooth and rooms are clean and tidy. Can't fault. Food in the restaurant is great and breakfast is good too, with great service. Close to Maritime museum and the local parks are great for the kids, Including a flying fox for kids and adults. Local walks and the location of the Oddball movie is pretty cool. Looking out for the dogs from Oddball himself walking on the island.

Lovely stay in The Olde Maritime Hotel while taking in the Port Fairy Folk Festival. First time we've stayed here. Nice clean room with good shower and both continental and cooked breakfasts made a good start to each day. Enjoyed Happy hour in the bar on the Friday evening.

« Planned for one night, stayed for two »

We are on holiday from Canada and stayed a night at the Olde Maritime Inn. We really appreciated the warm welcome extended by Raj and his staff. We enjoyed it enough to return for a second night after spending the day exploring the area. The rooms were spacious and clean and beds were comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing. Well located for exploring the beach, community and area.

« Unclean, tired and mediocre.... »

Sitting here in the motel room right now i can honestly say it is tired, unclean and needs maintenance. Toilet constantly leaking, kept you awake all night evwn when door closed. There was a review a few months back about same, but clearly not repaired and dont consider maintenance to in prove. Air conditioner blows dirt over the single bed below it (lucky not sleeping there). Cleaning crew just remake bed and empty bin but dont wipe over benches, vacuum floors nor refresh used towels or face washers. Windows covered in spiders and cob webs (inside), and they vacuum around furniture not move it. Dust in room very bad so consider elsewhere to stay if u suffer alleges or asthma or like me sneezing non stop.

    « Definitely worth a stay »

We stayed at The Olde Maritime Motor Inn for one night on 17th Nov 16, during our trip along the Great Ocean Road from Warrnambool. It is a very friendly, comfortable motel, and in an excellent location not far from the beach. Our room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower which was excellent. We ate in the motel's own Clovelly Restaurant which was a good decision, as it was good food and at reasonable prices. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, including the restaurant waitress who was first class. Overall, a perfect place to stop overnight whether on business or, like us, on holiday. We would love to visit again one day the next time we come over from England.

« Great location, friendly staff »

We stayed 2 nights to have a look around the local area and out to Port Fairy. We chose the cheapest room available and it was well equipped. The bathroom needs an upgrade and was tiny but it was the cheap room! We really enjoyed Happy Hour and the dinner was fabulous. The HH did not extend to the next night unfortunately but "them's the breaks". Breakfasts in the restaurant were also excellent. Walk across the road to parkland on the ocean, the Info Centre and historic harbor village. Enjoyed the stay.

« Good stop after long trip »

After driving from Adelaide, this stop was a welcome one, made even more so by very pleasant Reception staff and a very comfortable room. We had dinner in the Dining Room where once again, the Staff were excellent, very attentive and the place offered a very good dinner Menu. There was a bit of a mix up on check out where another guest's charges were put on my account but, it was resolved very quickly with no fuss. Would certainly visit again. Thank you.

This is a little gem in a great location. The owner was kind enough to pick me up from the train station on a cold and rainy night and upgraded my stay. The room I stayed in was newly refurbished and was quite spacious. There's a modern gym and its pretty close to everything. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On checking out, I reserved a room for my next trip. No complaints!

    « Cosy Rooms »

Stayed here overnight as part of a road trip. Found the hotel to be well maintained and clean. Could hear the toilet flushing in the room above us but other than that the room was quiet. Bed was comfy and clean and the free wifi came in handy! I found the shower extremely small and a few times I elbowed the door open by mistake. Easy 2 minute walk to the maritime museum which was certainly a great spot to visit.

We dined at the restaurant for 2 nights and breakfast each morning the meals could not be faulted even our toddler thoroughly enjoyed the meals. Compliments to the chef. When we arrived our booking was missing, no problem to the owner Raj Patel who quickly sorted our accomodation and upgraded us due to our anniversary. All the pros are as follows, hotel position great, food excellent, staff go out of their way to assist us, rooms are large and the beds suited us very well. Now the cons - None, how is that for a hotel! Personal message to Raj, his wife and staff Many thanks for making the start of our trip on the great ocean road a good one. From your Welsh visitors on 10th Oct

« Too expensive for what you get »

$130 for the basic room without breakfast is too much. The room is stock standards boring with a small TV too far from the bed to enjoy. The water is nice and hot, everything works, the bed is comfortable, make it $30 cheaper and it's still plain and boring but affordable.

« Spring family getaway in Warrnambool »

Our family stayed for three nights at the Maritime Best Western at the end of the school holidays..Our sons 13 and 15 keen bike riders took advantage of close proximity to Thunder Point down hill track and loved our motels position to enjoy the beach and shops. Raj kept our bikes in the garage and locked up for safety, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a refurbished family room, large bathroom,, great ease of parking ,, coffee machine which I loved as a run to the breakwater each morning to see fine thoroughbreds being exercised and watch the sun rise. The team at Maritime were all professionals and we will be back soon to stay and enjoy Warrnambools many attributes. Julie Dart and Family

This refurbished hotel has clearly been much revitalised by renovations and a new owner (Raj). He is an effusive host who infuses much positive energy and professionalism into his staff; one feels an honoured guest! My newly renovated room was elegant and gracious. The location of the motel was very convenient to Flagstaff Museum-just across the road. It's a short walk to shops and restaurants. We had dinner and breakfast at Clovelly restaurant in the motel. The food was delicious and again the staff were fabulous. A family member recommended that we stay at this motel and we were glad we took that recommendation.

« Great staff and location »

Could not fault anything in this hotel( despite building work going on)which did not affect us at all. We arrived on a Sunday night with our American friends and needed 3 rooms. The receptionist was friendly/ fun and efficient and gave us a great rate. Rooms were clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed ( our friends most impressed) We decided to have dinner at the restaurant and again a pleasant surprise. Good food, great menu and staff.

« Comfortable and well located »

This motel provides all essentials in a pleasant comfortable room, with welcoming and helpful staff who were happy to swap my doona for a blanket which was done before I arrived. We enjoyed our 2 evening meals in the restaurant with tasty and nicely prepared and served dishes, with pleasant background music which didn't interfere with normal conversation. It's also very well located near the city centre, as well as the whale-watching area near the Hopkins River mouth, the bay, Hopkins Falls (like a cauldron after heavy rain!) and other lovely ocean spots within an hour's drive.

    « Great location »

This is the second or third time we've stayed here, and would definitely be back. The room clean, beds comfortable and there was easily enough room for the three of us. We chose a bed and breakfast package, and certainly couldn't fault the service. The staff member on duty at checkout was great with our daughter, even asking if she would like to complete the checkout herself - to which she laughed and said she was too little. Will be back for sure.

    « Better than expected »

To be honest I wasn't expecting too much from the hotel but they over-delivered on everything. Being unfamiliar with Warrnambool it took us a while to find the hotel but everything was on the up after that, had driven from Apollo Bay that day whilst taking in the Twelve Apostles and Great Ocean Road so was pretty tired when we rolled into the car park. Reception was efficient and were expecting us, we had booked a refurbished / spa room. This is on the second floor of the hotel at the rear of the car park so nice and quiet and not too far from the free laundry which we needed to use. No lift so had to lug all our luggage up the stairs - not a huge problem as I needed the exercise. Room was HUGE and clean and tidy. Stayed for dinner as the menu looked interesting, restaurant was not overly busy for a Saturday evening and the staff were great. Breakfast was also good value. Good value, good bar and good food. Would consider staying again if we ever travel to the GOR again.

    « Excellent room »

This is the second time my husband and i have stayed here. We had a newly updated hertiage room and it was huge. The bed was so comfortable and two people could fit into the shower. We will be back here again

    « Excellent! »

We stumbled upon this place while driving around searching for a place to stay and are we ever glad to have found it! Staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Room was large and very, very comfortable. Bed was great. We opted for dinner and breakfast on site and again were pleased with our decision. The food is excellent! We'd happily stay again if ever in the area. The place is nice but really it's the staff that makes everything extra special.

« Great place to stay! »

Absolutely loved staying here. Excellent restaurant and staff. Very cosy rooms. Would happily stay again if we return to Warnambool. We were going to try eating out, but after the awesome dinner we had on the 1st night there we had to go back the 2nd night for more!

    « Warm and Elegant »

We stayed for one night in one of the Master Maritime suites and found it warm, elegant and inviting. The blend of the heritage fixtures and the new modern fittings are beautiful. The suite boasts ample space in the bedroom and a sitting area off the bedroom to enjoy a meal or read the paper. The bathroom was fresh and clean with a very large shower. With the very thick heritage walls there is no outside noise to stop you sleeping in. The Motor Inn is within walking distances of the centre of town and parklands. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and the next time we are in Warrnambool this is where will will stay.

    « A wonderful place to stay. »

We stayed here for two nights and would have loved to have stayed longer!! The room was lovely; my husband said it was the best night's sleep he'd had our entire trip. Raj and his staff (Bec, you are gorgeous) do anything and everything to make you feel comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights (unusual for us) and it was top class. Do yourself a favour, stay here, it is wonderful.

    5
    « Wonderful weekend »

We came for a short weekend visit and had a great room (easy parking outside the room, the room was clean with really comfy beds). The food at the restaurant was amazing, and being able to order meals for a set time made our commitments so much easier. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and it's so close to town its just a nice walk into town.

    « Nice visit »

After a long day of travelling it was great to pull into this hotel. Staff very friendly, beds were very comfy with the hotel being in a great location. Meals are tasty and reasonably priced. We would stay here again. Rooms are quit large. .....

    « Comfy »

Stayed here for a stopover on route to Melbourne. Rooms were very spacious and had a large bathroom (particularly after two days on Indian Pacific train). Friendly staff and great food in dining room. Comfy bar area to sit and have a drink before or after dinner.

    « Awesome Hotel »

I recently stayed at the Old Maritime and it was an absolutely fantastic place, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. The restaurant breakfast and dinner was also delicious! Will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends!

    « Kerry Trantino »

Great friendly staff, the restaurant meals are always fantastic with seasonal menu changes so it never gets boring. Great option of taking lunch with you the next day, from the sandwich lunch menu. Huge gym to fit in a workout after a day driving, or I just walking down the hill and stroll along the beach Boardwalk.

« Great place to visit »

Without doubt their greatest asset is their staff. It's our second time staying here and every staff member is so obliging and friendly. Rooms spacious and super clean and ample towels supplied. Happy hour in the comfy Lounge area very relaxing. Close to the beach for walks. Highly recommend.

    « Pleasant and relaxing »

Stayed for one night whilst working in Warrnambool. The room was clean, and all was well. I had a spacious room and would recommend the motel for business or pleasure. A relaxing environment and friendly staff

    « Work Stay »

Located in the heart of Warnambool - BEST WESTERN Olde Maritime Motor Inn was a lovely experience for me. Room spacious, clean and heated (winter). There was unlimited internet access not a common addition in Australian hotels. Staff very friendly and owner makes you feel at home. her eis also a dining on site so once I was back from a long days work settled in had a good dinner and went to sleep. Great place. highly recommended.

« Cosy Family Room & Great Restaurant »

Cosy Family Room, great for a family of four... slight neg - ask for a ground level room... otherwise you will be lugging your suitcases up several flights of stairs (the positive is you get a free workout) Great (onsite) restaurant with good food, friendly & prompt service + colouring in to keep the kids entertained ?? Recommend ????

    « Beautiful Motor Inn »

Stayed here on 2nd night of our holiday down Great Ocean Road. Friendly welcome on check-in from the manager and the rooms were great. Excellent location just opposite Flagstaff Hill. Nice bar with log fire place which made it very cosy on such a cold night. We were very satisfied with our stay and highly recommend.

    « Warm and welcoming »

Stayed one night for business, the reception was friendly, the room was modern and clean. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious and service was great. There is a great variety off beers and wines available. The owner Raj is very friendly and attentive to guests needs. My place to stay in Warrnambool.

    « Very friendly »

We stayed overnight on our way to the GOR and were very happy. The rooms are neat and well appointment with an onsite restaurant that was very enjoyable. The best part was the service, Raj the proprietor, was all smiles and went out of his way to make guests feel welcome. The girls in the restaurant were also lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Can't speak highly enough of the staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The free WiFi was as fast as my service at home and the restaurant food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would not hesitate to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant place in a great location.

    « Ok »

Room was clean but dated. Hotel was older motor inn. Certainly not my style of hotel. My mistake. Wasn't a bad stay, Would prefer more modern amenities. Owner was helpful and pleasant. Restaurant was good. Did not try breakfast. Easy to find.

« Awesome location, very comfy and wonderful staff »

My son and I stayed in a Heritage Queen room. It was gorgeous and full of character and had plenty of room for an active 8 year old. Absolutely brilliant location near Flagstaff Hill, the Adventure playground and main streets. We ate at the restaurant or room service every night and never had a bad dish, and the breakfasts were more than adequate and when we had room service breakfast it was delivered perfectly on time and straight from the kitchen, no cold eggs like many places! The wait staff, the cleaning staff and the reception staff were all very friendly and helpful and everything was wonderfully smooth despite it being school holidays with the kids festival on and being quite busy. We normally stay at airbnb or the like, but decided to stay here instead as there were only the two of us. We will definitely stay here next time we are wanting to be in Warrnambool, even with the full family!

« Wonderful service excellent staff especially Rebecca »

I travel For work in Warrnambool and was looking for a base to stay on a regular basis. I have found it! It is comfortable with everything you need but by far the staff are the best feature in the bar and restaurant. The food is delicious but on both occasions i have received a warm welcome and then friendly, helpful restaurant and bar service. Tonight Rebecca made me feel so welcome and comfortable she is a professional but goes above and beyond so thank you. A lovely away from home experience. Julia Currell

    « Comfy »

After a week on the Great Ocean Road this is the best we have stayed in. Spacious clean room with a shower rather than over bath shower. Restaurant was a little pricey but their quaint bar served quality bar food. A bit away from the restaurant district but I would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Lovely room »

« Base for visitation in Warrnambool »

We , groups of 4 families stayed at Harbour Master Suite , There are 4 beautiful rooms each with sitting n pantry area n private toilets. There are 2 levels , two families in each level . Heater works well for cold whether , rooms are big, clean and cozy . We can gather in one room and have fun n laughter without worrying disturbing our neighbors. The only setback is the rooms upstairs have thin walls so do not raise loud voices . Our one kid make loud noises so it can disturb the next room at night . The loft area in the upper rooms was good for extra person in the room. We have a dinner at Clovelly restaurant and it was fabulous. Locality is near to laser show , beach and a park . With transport we can go to shops n supermarket nearby. Otherwise take a good walk and enjoy fresh air. There are free wifi and parking too. Will be back if we are coming to Warrnambool to visit friends again.

« The BEST Best Western Ever »

Visiting Warrnambool for a week and stayed at the Best Western Maritime for 3 nights. This has to be the BEST Best Western I have ever stayed at internationally and in Australia. Cheryl on reception was so lovely when we were inquiring on the days we were wanting to continue our stay in town. Ash booked us in and gave us a great room that was clean and cozy, good heating that is not noisy and in a quiet location. Their restaurant is fantastic to dine in. The location is perfect and in easy walking distance to the beach and all things in town. We could not fault this place at all. All staff are friendly and very accommodating to all needs. Thanks to all.

    « Absolutely excellent! »

We've just spent two nights here and I only have excellent things to say about it! We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with excellent facilities including fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Heaters in all rooms and electric blankets on the beds. Loads of space and light for 3 adults. I've travelled extensively and the service here was among the very best I've encountered. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant service was second to none. The food was great and it was very convenient having a good restaurant on site. The location was perfect, directly opposite Flagstaff Hill, and within easy driving access to the main shopping street. All of this, plus it's primarily in a beautiful heritage building. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

    « Warm and friendly »

My daughter and I left the booking of our room to my husband.....and what a fantastic room it was and a terrific price!! Our room faced to ocean and had a mezzanine floor where my husband and I slept in comfort. Our daughter had her own space down below. The staff were so helpful too-our daughter needed to do homework while we traveled the Great Ocean Road and the office staff, Raj, kindly printed it all out for her

    « Excellent »

Hands down one of the best hotels I've -ever-. The staff made the experience with their genuine welcoming and dedicated assistance. Ate both from dinner menu, room service desert menu and breakfast menu and were 3 of the best meals I had our whole trip! Would stay here next time with no hesitation.

    « A Wonderful Week in Warrnambool »

Arriving in Warnambool after a long train ride we were warmly welcomed by Emma the receptionist. We were delighted with the room just across Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sound and Laser Show with dinner included. We chose the Clovelly Restaurant for our dinner where we were given exceptional service from Courtney. Our second night in the restaurant after such good food and service we were very well looked after by Bec. The location was really ideal being within walking distance for us both. We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anybody.

« Great location, helpful staff and comfortable room »

My heading says it all. Our deluxe twin share room was spacious, comfortable and well lit for reading at night with a small garden area outlook. The staff could not have been more helpful. It is in a great location, a short walk to main shopping, over the road & down the hill to the beach path; a comfortable dining room if required, and a cosy bar area. Thank you sincerely.

« We got there in the end »

on arrival receptionist was lovely, very helpful and friendly. room i had booked direct with the Inn i assumed would look like the ones i had seen online, unfortunately this was not the case when we got in. refer to pics for accurate description of this room. I went to reception to voice my concerns and compromise a solution to this unacceptable situation, without hassle or question we were given a new room and treated with the most understanding and patient service. this reveiw is not a dig at the Inn, simply service to those of you wishing to stay there. Future refurbishments have been planned for these rooms which is great to see. over all we enjoyed our stay and will return.

    « Really nice accommodation. »

We spent 2 nights here and found the rooms to be lovely and comfortable, plenty of hot water. Not overlarge room but all we needed as we were out of a day. The first night we had lamb shanks, but these were tough. All our other meals were lovely and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

    « Anzac Day weeend »

The Motor Inn was a very comfortable and friendly environment to spend a weekend in Warrnambool. Being central and walking distance to the Maritime village was a big plus. Our room was spotlessly clean and while basic was more than adequate.

« Great location with friendliest staff but........ »

We booked an overnight stay for our family of four based on reviews on TripAdvisor. The Olde Maritime did not disappoint in terms of location (literally walking distance to Flagstaff Hill) and a warm welcome. We booked a Mezzanine room which was in the older building (formerly the Harbour Master's house) and this is where the problem lay for us. Old building means character but it also means olde world decor, creaky floors, thin walls, very small shower. Mercifully the room had air con as it was needed to get the room to a comfortable sleeping temperature. Breakfast was included in our package. Again the friendly waitress was chatty, accomodating and made our day. Breakfast was tasty but we do feel however that the breakfast was a little oversold raising our expectations, which it didn't quite meet. Free wifi, which is a nice bonus. Usual in room facilities available.

    5
    « Friendly environment »

The friendly staff at this motel go out of their way to make your stay really good. We stayed for 2 nights, the room was clean and large. We had dinner twice in the Covelly restaurant and it was beautiful. We had breakfast once and again value for money. Highly recomend.

    « Loved it »

We loved our accomodation here on our recent trip along the GOR. We stayed in one of the older rooms (I think it was called the heritage room) where the kids had their own beds and tv upstairs and we had our own bed and tv downstairs. We loved having our own "space" even though we were in the same room. We had a huge kitchen area - with a fridge and oven it would make the perfect self contained unit. Would have loved to have stayed longer. All the staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant food (both dinner and breakfast) was fantastic.

    4
« Clean, Comfortable, Close to Flagstaff Hill »

From first reception to departure we couldn't fault our nights stay. Clean comfortable room, with minibar. Breakfast can be either room service or in the restaurant, which is also open for dinner. The manager at reception was extremely helpful when we left advising us to visit a place on the coast not many tourists go to and it was well worth the detour. Would we recommend staying here? Yes

« Trip home from Melbourne »

Thanks for a good night sleep and great meal. The staff were great, really welcoming and helpful, the service was outstanding and the meal in the restaurant was excellent. The room was comfortable enough clean and tidy with good access for vehicles. What really stood out was the people who are just fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Id not hesitate to stay here again.

    « Surprise 60th Birthday Function »

Thank you Raj and staff for a fantastic time shared with family and friends for my husbands surprise 60th birthday party, which we had in your restaurant. It went off better than we could have imagined. We managed to arrange everything from interstate (Alice Springs, NT). People who travelled from far and wide to attend were so impressed with the whole experience. The foods was sensational, the variety of drinks great and the rooms were lovely. The service was simply wonderful. You guys bent over backwards to make this function the best ever. Thanks again to you all, and I'd recommend your hotel, motel and service to anyone. Cheers

    « Warm welcome »

This is a great motel. We were only here one night, arrived late but were treated royally upon arrival. As two of us were suffering bad colds we ordered room service. The soup was delicious as was the cheese plate which lasted us for another 3 days of snacks as we travelled along the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne. When we checked out, Raj and his wife gave us some great tips for travelling the GOR. Next time we'll stay longer. Highly recommended.

    « Great Place but........................ »

We have stayed here many times before and always enjoyed it! Motel rooms are great, clean, nice restaurant, great central location. From Motel you can walk across the road to Old Flagstaff tourist attraction. 10mins walk to centre of Warrnambool for good pubs & restaurants. Motel is 15mins walk from Railway Station and 10 mins walk to RSL. We had come down on the train from Melbourne for the horse racing. We were really happy until on the morning of checkout we asked could we hold the room till 11am as we were then walking down to the Railway Station to catch the train back to Melbourne. Normal checkout is 10am. We were advised 'no way' could we stay on as the cleaning staff had to get in and clean the room. The day prior the cleaning staff did our room at 12 noon! Go figure! Needless to say we were not happy on leaving. One customer lost! On the way to the Railway Station (it was raining!) we called into the RSL and had a nice coffee while we waited for the train to arrive. That little bit of extra customer service could have made all the difference !!!

« Lovely comfortable and spacious room! »

Stayed in the Harbourmaster' s house with King bed, sitting area, kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Very comfortable. Ate in the Clovelly restaurant in the hotel, very yummy prawns and the most beautifully cooked lamb cutlets (fussy husband loved them!). Arrived too late to see the Flagstaff Museum, but village looked most impressive. A safe and pleasant stopover before hitting the Great Ocean Road back towards Melbourne.

    « Lovely motel »

We had a great time staying at this motel. Good location. Very clean and tidy. Happy hour in the bar on the Friday night had a great vibe, staff were friendly and welcoming. Plenty of off street parking. One downside was our ground floor room was a bit noisy but that's not the motel's fault, just noisy guests banging doors early in the morning!

    « Nice and convenient »

Stayed two nights over the weekend in a two bedroom apartment. Convenient location, just a short walk to the shops and just off the bay. Comfortable stay with friendly staff. Well recommended. One note would be the mattress could be of better quality. Nonetheless that's just one minor point on the grand scheme of things.

    5
« Friendly reception and good restaurant »

Comfortable Room. Reception guy is always friendly to the guests, the hotel restaurant has the nice surroundings and good furniture. The taste of food is good. The location is near the beach and maritime museum. Recommended!

« Tiny room but clean and comfortable »

Olde Maritime Motor Inn is in a fantastic location, close to a variety of attractions and places to eat, we were staying on business so we didn't need luxuries, although room for a chair in the room would have been good, or a little table to rest my computer on. Room was super clean, wifi was free, and staff were super helpful.

    3
« Dysfunctional toilet , disorganized housekeeping but well located »

My room was facing the main road and was a twin one ( a twin bed and a single bed) and apart from the old and dirty carpet it looked fine.My toilet flush did not work properly so when I got the room there was a bit of poo leftover in the toilet and I had to flush 5 times to clear up . I was there to work for 2 weeks in the field so I did not have time to enjoy and needed to use the room to shower and sleep; however there were days that the housekeeping did make my room up properly ( no towels, no tissues and toilet paper) and there were days that they did a good job. My bed was not extremely nice and the bedding are very average so if you are looking for nice quality bedding the make sure you double check your options in Warrnambool. The hotel is old and needs a renovation but staff are generally nice and the restaurant is OK. however the food portions are just too big ( bigger than American portions). I understand some people love big food portions but for me quality and quantity should have a reasonable balance.

    4
« Excellent hospitality and very comfortable »

I stayed here for a one-night stay on business. The room was comfortable with all of the amenities that you would expect, was clean and well maintained. The location is a short distance away from the main street, though if you enjoy a stroll it is close enough to walk. The staff were all excellent - universally friendly and natural. I dined in the restaurant, and the food was very good - better than the average motel fare for sure. It was a pleasant stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. It is obviously a property where care is taken.

    5
    « Very Good Value »

This motel is ideally situated and has easy access to all areas within walking distance. The motel room though small in size, was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful . The restaurant was lovely, the food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious!

    « Exceptional Service »

Stayed here November 2015. Very friendly staff. Manager went out of his way to help me. I asked where I could go to buy some tape for my torn luggage. He went to buy it for me! Room comfortable. Very convenient location to the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village.

« Cozy hotel though noisy - not for the light sleeper »

We stayed for one night at the Best Western. Overall, the service was super friendly and rooms were clean. The location is great - nearby several tourist attractions, viewpoints and good restaurants. However, it was a bit noisy with cleaning staff in the morning, sound of garbage trucks and other hotel guests walking by. We checked in a bit late (around 7pm), and had the unfortunate luck of getting the room next to the main entrance - which did not help on the noise level. We had an even more unfortunate event of a mis-delivered room service at 7am when we had originally planned to get up much later. Other members of my family had rooms further inside the complex, on the first floor, which was better but only slightly as it looks like most rooms have windows facing towards a road. With that said, the upper floor rooms are quieter and have less disturbance (note: it looks it's like stairs access only).

« An excellent place to stop over, before/after a visit to the Great Ocean Road »

Reception were friendly, efficient and professional. There was a lovely bar area for an evening meal (also a restaurant is available) Warrambol is lovely, I wish we could have visited for longer. Wi-Fi was fine. You park your car outside your room. The room is very clean and well prepared but a little small, however this was not a problem as we were simply passing through. I would recommend this motel wIthout hesitation.

« Cozy hotel and delicious dinner »

We stayed one night at the hotel. Rooms are large, nicely decorated, and the bathroom has a shower and a bathtub. Dinner at the in-house restaurant was delicious with excellent service. Highly recommended for the reasons above, and its excellent location.

    « Magnificent motel »

My wife and i stayed a couple of nights over the valentines weekend for our wedding anniversary. The room was clean and comfy. Complimentary drinks on arrival while we waited to check in. The restaurant was lovely for breakfast both mornings. The staff were absolutely brilliant and professional. Ashley and Emma especially so. We will definitely stay there again. Hopefully during next years whale watching season. Many thanks.

The room are large and comfortable. Raj and team are friendly and helpful as I travel for business constantly they are good company at the bar while I have a quiet drink. It's also an easy walk to the beach or to the town centre. The food in the restaurant is as good as any, I especially enjoy the breakfast. thanks team, George S.

I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone, friendly staff with great service. The food is exceptional and the room I stayed in was great and away from the busy highway, if you ever come down to Warrnambool make sure you stay here you will not be disappointed. There is plenty to see & do with the family with The Great Ocean Road not far away and beautiful beaches at their doorstep.

Great accommodation and great food, really friendly staff and great service. The restaurant was great and the food was very nice, easy access to laundrys and dryers to. Gym was also very handy in the morning. Also really close to town jut a short walk to some great restaurants. Thankyou to Raj for a great stay, it was wonderful!

    « Convenient and Quiet »

Thank you everyone for helping to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble, and the meals were delicious. Despite it being the height of summer holidays and the large number of vehicles passing by, we found it very quiet. Easy walking distance to the Maritime Museum, Lake Pertobe and city centre.

« Great staff, accommodation and food »

Room was good though a bit on the small side. Had a Queen plus single, for the room size should have just had Queen, but still large enough. Has an Olde world charm about it. Restaurant food was excellent as were all the staff. Will be staying again next week.

« Raj and team we thank you. »

Thanks Raj and team for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment upstairs and we love it. Olde Maritime Motor Inn has heaps of space to park your car and very safe. We have been coming for nine years in a row and we wouldn't change our apartment as it is roomy for myself, husband and 3 kids. The apartment has a laundry and also a dryer. The kitchen has a dishwasher and also a coffee machine. It has a big fridge, microwave and heaps of cupboard space. The two bedrooms have built in wardrobes and the bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The Motel is within walking distance to lake pertobe and the beach and only a 5-10 min walk to the city shops. Anyone that books will be happy with their stay I can assure you. We thank you again Raj and team and will see you again towards the end of the year.

    « Quiet, good location »

Friendly, welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble - brought toaster to room and even an amenities kit when my husband needed a toothbrush. Good size room, comfortable bed. Just right for an overnight stay. Would recommend.

    « family holiday »

Our family stayed at the Maritime Best Western for a couple of nights to see family and enjoy the beach, well situated for walks straight across from walking track to beach, peaceful setting, walk to city centre,, quiet rooms. service was warm and friendly with nothing too much trouble, Ash was manager in charge and he was very professional and made sure we had a good stay. Ash enquired if we needed anything and helped our teenage sons 12 and 14 with the computer connections and they were happy with his advise, right on target, thanks Ash,,regards Julie&Family

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a function involving the whole family. Nothing was too much trouble for the helpful and courteous staff. We have booked for another 10days later in the year and also for Easter as well. Thankyou to Emma who was at reception and Sue (I think) from house keeping.

« Spacious and clean, near Flagstaff Maritime Village »

We stopped here for a night in Warrnambool for the laser and light show at the Flagstaff Maritime Village. It's just a 5-min walk away! The second bedroom in our 2-bedroom apartment comes with a bunk bed and a single bed which serves my 3 children well, There's no aircon in the second bedroom but it's fine for sleep at night as temperature usually falls below 15C. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining and living areas are spacious and clean. Parking is right outside the apartment. We booked directly via its website and responses to our confirmation and amendment related to the booking were prompt. However, they ignored general enquiries about places around them. Perhaps that's not in their job scope and it's dependent on individual's willingness to offer help.

    « Friendly and helpful »

Stay for a night during the new year holidays in a 2 bedroom apartment. Clean and quite big in size of the apartment and rooms. Have 2 TV sets and full kitchen. Free internet at a good speed. Friendly and helpful staff.

    « Convenient and comfort »

Stayed for a tennis tournament and it was great to have breakfast every morning. Central to everything within walking distance to most conveniences. Close to the beach and park. Highly recommended. Really pleasant staff and very helpful. Only observation is that my bed wasn't soft enough but still good quality.

« It is a roof over your head and this is Australia »

So the bad. Internet is crap here. But then this is Australia and it is poor most places. The rooms need basic touch ups to bring them back. Poor carpet in our room. The good. Bed was not too hard, had a good sleep. Lots of hot water. Good meal at the restaurant. Friendly staff.

    « Below expectations »

Pros: booking hotel was easy and Raj was very helpful and friendly. The location of this hotel is great for the beach, lake pertrobe, main strip of shops and cafes and flagstaff hill. Good cleaning service everyday who would make up the room. Ample car spaces with free parking. Cons: paper thin walls, felt we had to whisper when our neighbors were in their room. Loft was very hot, granted we were there on a nearly 40 degree day. There is a split system air conditioner that does not cool the loft on hot days. Could smell smoke from smokers outside in our room, they were smoking in the early mornings and could hear them as well. Made it difficult to sleep. Bathrooms were old, need an upgrade, however they were clean. Door to our room had a frosted window which compromised privacy and also the hallway had a light go on anytime someone would walk in our wing which would then come through the door window and affect sleeping.

« Roaches and fluorescents everywhere! »

I do not understand the good reviews. This place was terrible when we visited, There were rOaches everywhere in our room and the room & fixtures were old and dirty even though we paid extra for a "remodeled" room. the place seemed run down, the car park unsafe, the bathroom was not clean, and it's right next to a busy street so we were kept up all night with cars. We got out of there as quickly as possible.

    « Expensive for what it's worth »

Was not under the spell of the hotel. Really noisy location, the decor is really old fashioned but not enough to be called a concept. Steep stairs, no lift, smelly carpet. Great wifi though and that was what I was looking after for the night we spent there.

    « Short Stay »

We had the opportunity for a short rail trip to Warrnambool for an overnight stay. Olde Maritime was close to Town & Station. Great amenities, rooms clean & fresh, service excellent, staff friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms and they were equally as good but with different configurations. We had a great day and night but, as we checked out next day to walk to the Railway Station, it started to rain steadily. Before we knew it, reception arranged for a staff member to take the four of us and luggage door to door to catch our train in comfort. Above and beyond our expectations. Overall, a great short stay & we would happily recommend this accommodation and will certainly stay there again.

« Ride the rail trail. »

We traveled by train and took our bikes to do the Port Fairy/Warrnambool rail trail. Lock up storage for the bikes was provided and our room (deluxe) was very comfortable. All the staff were very helpful and friendly providing advice on the bike trail and a good cafe for morning teas. The rail trail was a bit rough and bumpy, definitely not road bike standard and we decided to return via the Princes Highway rather than redo the trail. The return ride was very scenic and a good shoulder on the road felt safe and stress-free. All up a total of 80 kms for a challenging but enjoyable ride with an enjoyable time in Port Fairy. . We ended up having dinner for our three night stay, at the on-site restaurant at the Motor Inn as the food was great. The fish was fantastic, fresh and very tasty. Visited the Maritime museum and the Sound and Light show. Would recommend Warrnambool for a relaxing 3 day stay.

    « Lovely 2 bedroom cottage »

About 2 weeks ago we arrived from Apollo Bay without a reservation and as our adult daughter was with us the two bedroom self-contained cottage worked best. The walk in price was good. It was a real pleasure staying here and we booked 2 nights to relax after the stunning drive from Melbourne along the coast. On the first night we ate in the hotel restaurant and all our meals were good. A coffee maker was in the room, washer and dryer, a well equipped kitchen, and large rooms. Staff were amazing. We went to Port Fairy and Griffiths Island the next day. It was sunny and very windy but not beach weather. The internet in the cottage was so so (worked for us but not fast enough for my daughter) so she used the wifi in the lounge and enjoyed a coffee. I certainly recommend staying here.

    « Decent »

Decent motel with minimal stuff. Serves the purpose and is good value for money. Cleanliness was high; free wifi; and nice bedding. Rooms were a bit small but who cares as we were doing the great ocean road and only needed a spot to stay for the night. Oh yes another great thing is the restaurant which opens til late and even the reception closes @ 11pm which is v helpful for ppl who get caught up on the road. No rush to make it to the motel for check in : enjoy the great ocean road.

« Good location, friendly staff »

Stayed one night in a mezzanine room. Reception staff were friendly and happy to answer all questions. It is close to the Pertobe recreation area which is a great place for kids of all ages, the beach and town. Whilst the corridors are looking a little tired the room was clean and had everything we needed. We also ate at the hotel restaurant which is unusual for us as we like to venture further. However we really enjoyed our meals which were reasonably priced and the kids meals for $12 did not have a chicken nugget in sight! Rather they included steak and smaller adult type meals which is rare but greatly appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

« Spacious rooms, friendly staff »

Rooms large and nicely furnished, lots of windows for fresh air. Outlook over the coast, not far from attractions. Friendly staff ( even greeted at reception with our key as we arrived at midnight). Good spot and great value. Plenty of car parks close to room.

    « Our Second Visit »

Pleasant motel room with excellent lighting for reading or needlework in the bay window.Ensuite provides perfectly adequate facilities. Dinner in the restaurant was somewhat disappointing but the waitress quite happily conveyed our low key comments to the chef for his feedback, which was acknowledged. The checkin lady was personable and helpful.

« A standard/fine motel for 1 night at end of Ocean Rd drive »

Just your usual motel - no feeling of wow!...for a minute I thought there might be a courtyard but the window didn't open so you can't let in the nice sea breeze even though the motel is just across the road from the beach. No views either. You need to rely on the air conditioner for fresh air so we never find that appealing. A bit more space than your usual hotel room and there was a small round table and 2 chairs. Decor was clean and functional - usual white sheets, cream walls, beige, beige, beige. Tea making facilities but tricky getting the water into jug using bathroom sink. It was good having the restaurant in this motel as the food was pretty good and we were tired after the GOR drive & sight seeing.

    « Brilliant customer service »

From the moment we arrived here, Emma looked after us like royalty and made us feel very welcome. At dinner time we chose to eat in the motel restaurant and Emma even offered to ask the chef to prepare me a special vegetarian meal that wasn't on the menu. We had two courses and the food was delicious. If you have dessert here, order the sticky date pudding! Our room is well appointed, tastefully decorated, scrupulously clean and very comfortable. I was very happy to find fresh milk in the fridge for my cuppa as I don't care for the uht stuff most places provide. Nice location too, right down by the sea front. Would definitely recommend this motel.

    « Great restaurant »

Eating at the restaurant as a part of the dinner and show deal at the Maritime Museum. Good food, great decor and excellent, welcoming and friendly service. Everything you would expect in a country town. Awesome selection of beers too.

« Brilliant Venue and staff »

Cannot speak highly enough of this place... All of the staff go out of there way to ensure that your stay is as relaxing and as comfortable as possible. As someone who travels a lot for work, returning to somewhere familiar can never be understated. Rooms are wonderful...always clean and inviting. Nothing is too much for Raj, Bronwyn and their staff... Just an absolutely brilliant place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to visit Warrnambool.

    « Welcoming and Friendly »

When I checked in, it was way past lunch and the receptionist asked what would I like to which I replied, "I'd love an egg sandwich." That's no problem I was told and a little while later I had the best egg sandwich ever - scrambled egg was light and fluffy, tasted wonderful and still warm. That's what I call service. My room was lovely - a standard queen room. It faced the busy street and had a lovely bay window where I would sit at the end of the day in the comfortable tub chairs. The room was well appointed with a television, toaster, electric kettle, tea bags/coffee sachets and individual sealed biscuit packets which were replenished daily. There was also a fridge. When I went to close the curtains, I accidentally pulled the top hanger off, I rang reception and they came over in less than 10 minutes to fix it. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom/toilet clean and not poky. There was also a wardrobe with hangers. Located on the corner of Banyan And Merri Streets, it was a brief walk across the road from Flagstaff Maritime Museum and Village and within walking distance of the town. I enjoyed the meals in the restaurant and breakfast was good. With free newspapers to read, who could ask for more. Parking is outside your room. The staff were excellent and I would definitely stay here again.

    « Disappointing. »

Location is good and first impressions were positive. However, the sound proofing is poor. We had to run the air-conditioning a lot to provide white noise to avoid hearing the conversations and TV from the adjacent rooms. I also had to wear ear plugs at night due to traffic noise. Very inconvenient was the fact that despite advertising having an onsite resteraunt and bar which we planned our Saturday night around, we were barred entrance at the door because of a private function!! Very ordinary. We won't be staying here again.

« Great service, excellent rooms and furnishings »

We stayed the long Melb Cup weekend of 3 nights. We couldn't fault the warm service and attention provide by Raj and all staff - 10 out of 10 to them. We stayed in the family mezzanine suite which was really nice. Extremely clean throughout, bed linen felt like great quality and the room was overall a delight to stay in. With wifi and two TVs, there was no shortage of keeping the kids entertained in those lull moments. I would definitely go back again. Nick

    « Normal looking rooms »

This was our last stop along the GOR, the check in n out were a breeze. Weren't expecting much since it was meant to be a motel/Inn. The room looked like it would in pictures albeit the bathroom, esp the shower stall, which was quite small. Couldn't image how someone bigger than Asian size would feel. There's an air vent in the toilet that seem to be blowing/circulating cold air n it couldn't be turned off. So try bathing in that. Room was also very cold n there was no heater except for the bed warmers. No other complains except for the cold n small shower stall. Room was clean n tidy.

    « Comfortable friendly place »

We stayed for two nights in room 40 which is a cottage with two bedrooms ( one double and the second with a single bed and bunk beds ), kitchen/living area. Large space, very clean, tea/coffee facilities provided. We were a couple travelling with friend. Would be ideal for a family as plenty of room. People very friendly and helpful. Food was good - ate breakfast once ( on weekdays this stops at 9am) with plenty of choice and dinner twice. Food was good and reasonably priced. Ideally situated across the road from the Heritage village and easy walking distance to the WAG. Recommend staying here.

Raj and his team were very courteous, kind and helpful, what more could one ask for?. I was doing a solo, unaccompanied, un-assisted motor cycle ride around Australia, raising funds for the Childhood Cancer Assoc. In. c and this motel sponsored my night, not only that, they also made a donation the cause.

« Excellent hotel, great location for Flagstaff Hill »

Our room was very pleasant, quite large with a comfortable bed and very clean. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower, although the shower cubicle was rather small. Service both at check-in and check-out was prompt and courteous. We had dinner in the Clovelly Restaurant. The food was very well cooked, our only criticism is that we would have liked a wider choice of entrees. We also had breakfast in the Clovelly Restaurant, the range of cold food available was a little limited, but the cooked to order hot dishes were exceptionally good.

« Stayed 2 nights with our baby »

It wasn't difficult to choose Best Western Olde Maritime Motor Inn during our plans for the trip as their response were prompt. Though the email communications and the address stated here posed a little challenge to pin point it in the GPS, It was still relatively easy to locate it. I'll suggest they change the address to what they used on their namecard. If my memory serves me well, it was indicated as 113 Merri Street (That's the office address) Checking in and out was brief and simple. Staff were very helpful in providing us details about Warrnambool as it is out 1st visit. They did provide a playpen as a cot and beddings for a cot for our baby. We didn't use the playpen in the end as there were some stains on it. We didn't inform them though as the bed provided was big enough to co-sleep with our little one. The room decor is really vintage and fitting for a harbour town. Both my wife and myself loved the decor! Overall, it's a good stay with Best Western Olde Maritime Motor Inn.

    « Outstanding Service »

While the hotel was a little dated the service certainly excelled. The receptionist surprised us by doing her best to speak to us in Afrikaans (our first language) and did a very good job. She was full of information and insider tips to exploring the town. When we had issues with our rental car she not only helped us contact our rental company, but also offered to drive us up the great ocean road to see the 12 apostles. We were blown away by the gesture and even though it wasn't necessary as our car problems were fixed, we appreciated the gesture. We found all the staff at this hotel to be very friendly and professional. The location is fantastic for exploring the town.

« Two very good nights »

« Ok room although smaller than pictures »

We booked a suite at this motor lodge although I'm sure it was listed as a hotel. The room on the website looked quite spacious but in fact it was cramped and dark. Other than that it was clean with a shower but no bath. We prepaid breakfast but don't recommend you do that as same price available. The first night we were kept awake until 2.30 with what sounded like speedway noise. Second night I think the dustbin Larry came at 1.30 am. We ate in the restaurant the first night but it was pretty average so ate out the second night. Breakfast was very good though, we had pre paid but wouldn't do that unless you like a cooked breakfast every day as continental good at 6 dollars less. Kids choices excellent. Our waitress at breakfast was excellent, she had recently returned from Scotland and she was lovely.

    « What a lovey Restaurant Experience! »

The moment we arrived we felt at home. The staff were very personable and looked after us like one of the family. Our meal was of a very high standard! Obviously the Chef and his staff know food and how to balance a dish to perfection. A lovey evening that we will remember always and we will recommend this place to our friends and family.
