Best Western Hotell Vidostern

My husband and I stayed for a couple nights while driving around in the area. The bed is the most comfortable bed I've stayed in and the room was a good size. Even though our window faced towards the highway, you couldn't hear anything through the window when it was closed. The area had a bunch of restaurants that are wallimg distance, if you don't feel like eating at the hotel. Super friendly staff and the whole place feels newly renovated. Breakfast was good as well. Only issue we had was that our lights were out one day, which we figured was due to a power outage and it would be fixed by the time we got back. Sure enough, once we got back the lights were fine... however we noticed there was some dust on the sink and in our trash there were remnants of electrical wires... so maintenance had gone into our room (without any warning even though we had a dnd on the door) while we were out. I understand that you need to go into the room to fix it, but it felt as if they were trying to act sly instead of just giving us a heads up. In this case I feel like it would've been better if they just told us or left us a note to say what they'd done. Just a thought... either way I'd stay there again, so 5 star all the way :)

The hotel is not in the city center and despite being on the E4, it actually is quite peaceful and calm. It might be that that is the case because of the pandemic or because the hotel has gone bankrupt and hence the number of guests was reduced. That the hotel had gone bankrupt and we hadn't got informed before reaching the place. This didn't impact our stay in any special way except we had to pay via Swish and that the breakfast buffet was very limited (I think at least). The room I got was quite alright. It had a decent size desk, a twin bed that was decently comfortable, the ventilation was not noisy and the room temperature fine as it was. The bathroom had a nice surface where it was possible to place all the things. A not so big shower, decently clean, and a fair amount of towels. It wasn't fancy, but at least practical and it worked very fine for the night I spent there. As mentioned, the breakfast was definitely basic, which is absolutely ok as it doesn't have to be Christmas at every breakfast in a hotel, but of course, the offering was limited and if I would have felt like eating something, with my italian palate, I would have had very hard time to find what would satisfy me. Let's see what will be of this hotel if the management will change.

We needed to stop over for one night and walked in at around 10 p.m. Got a room, but kitchen closed. Nice lady told us to go to a burger bar nearby - around 100 m. And that was it. Breakfast OK. Weather bad ;)

Very friendly staff. Clean good modern hotel. 10 minutes out of town just off the freeway. They have connecting rooms for families. We got one 50SEK voucher per room for dinner but did not have dinner at the hotel.

Close to E4 main road. Basic hotel with friendly staff and smooth check-in. Breakfast included and served its purpose, to fill our stomach. Nothing out of the ordinary but the breakfast is ok and it is plenty of space available for the guests. Lots of parking space and no charge. Room ok also, comfortable bed and a nice shower. This is a good place to stay at if you are just passing through. Nothing exiting close to the hotel
