Awesome front desk folks and breakfast attendant on the 3rd 4th and 5th..... Also my bed was so hard I woke up with hip pain on the 3rd and the front desk girl (Trish) had the night maintenance man bring me extra blankets to lay on for some padding...... Shower water pressure was not good in room 404... took me twice as long to shower just to get rinsed off....had to use bath tub finally afterwards which filled up fast. .....Great TV and WiFi was also good..... the room looked like the online photos....Easy parking and was able to view my car with U-Haul trailer so i felt it was safe and secure.... Very quiet on the 4th floor ..huge room and appreciated the filtered water bottle refill station by the ice machine. This was my second time staying at this location from 2019, I stayed 2 nights/days...... near several restaurants, easy off n on freeway and also Doordash and Uber delivers.....I got food from a Middle Eastern restaurant but the lamb skewers meat was undercooked to raw in the middle and my salad (container) was filled with water like it had been on melted ice before delivery.

Great location easy on and off interstate. Lots of great places to shop/eat within walking distance. quiet comfy room, front desk staff was wonderfully helpful. Fast wifi, nice clean room, comfy bed, felt very safe.

As a regular user of BW accommodation when travelling I'm generally very pleased with my reception as a member and the courtesy offered. The desk staff on this occasion, both when I called to make my reservation and when we arrived, and departed for that matter were just great. Their acknowledgement courtesy and thanks made for a very pleasant stay and visit to TO.

The property was clean and the workers pleasant. The breakfast they offered was terrific. Ample free parking. My only complaint is the traffic noise from the freeway since the hotel is next to the freeway. you can hear the car, trucks going by. But overall, this is a great place to stay. We will stay there again.

I was mostly looking fir a decent place to sleep. The room and friendly attentive staff totally blew my expectations away. The room was clean and had multiple reminders who/how the room was serviced. It was a quiet space with light blocking blinds. The bed, sheets. Pillows and comforter was perfect.

Room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good and lots of options. The staff was very friendly and caring The only thing missing was an onsite workout room. The location is great right off the freeway easy to get to beach or anywhere in Ventura County.

Great room and sleep experience. I'm happy to give this property an exceptional review on cleanliness on linens and bedding, additionally their amenities such as coffee maker and mini fridge were clean and held temp to keep items cold. I will be returning and thankfully as I checked out the front desk clerk signed me up for bonus points every time I book a room at BW properties. Cheers!

I've stayed at this property several times. Never before had a problem with cleanliness of the room. Staff was more interested in each other than the clients. Cleaning staff failed to replace plastic drinking cups on several dates. Coffee was not replaced each day.

Overall it's a clean, safe, no frills hotel. I'm just a little jaded about my stay. Went shopping during my stay and forgot a pair of new shoes still in the box behind. Called the front desk that day to see if housekeeping found it and they said they would check and call back. Called the next day and same thing. It's totally my fault for forgetting my shoes but the least they could have done was call me back and tell me to kick rocks.

Having a small balcony and the atrium was nice, but otherwise, some upgrades could be used. I was in a King and it was fine, aged, small, but got the job done for a night's stay. What really threw me was the toilet was installed at an angle because the bathroom was too small to fit everything comfortably if installed normally -- you wouldn't have been able to stand next to the shower to turn it on if the toilet was installed straight, you'd have to be in the shower to turn it on.

We stay at the BW Thousand Oaks Inn regularly when we are in the area visiting family. Every stay is stress-free. The staff is always gracious and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Guests that spend 70+ nights a year at your hotel should be treated with dignity and respect. It's also unfair that you give special rates to certain Diamond select members but not us. We spend SO much money at your hotel and we are perfect guests. We are quiet, clean and clean our rooms and take out all the trash when we leave.

Check in was smooth and room was clean and cozy. The outdoor sitting area in the middle of the hotel area was a nice surprise. Last, the breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and kept the breakfast area stocked and extremely clean. My daughter attends college nearby and this hotel will be our new go to.

My car died while pulling in to the hotel...a couple of workers at the attached restaurant helped me push it into a parking space. Thanks, guys! Got the battery replaced that evening. Tasty breakfast the next day at the restaurant (the hotel provides a voucher).

Staff was rude and not helpful. They were put off and bothered by any question... Unbelievable! Hotel is located next to the freeway and is extremely loud. This hotel is a remodeled Howard Johnson from many years ago. The remodel is okay, but a bit dingy. The included morning breakfast was also really bad. There's a lot of good breakfast spots in town... you'd be better off doing that. Next time I'll be staying at the Hampton Inn down the street... MUCH better, and comparable cost.

Great breakfast and well maintained grounds.Nice library with massage chairs.Very up to date lobby.Room was very clean and comfortable.Pool and spa was closed in December and Restaurant and bar closed by 9:30pm while we where there.

This is a great hotel in the heart of Thousand Oaks. Easy access off freeway and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. I am a regular customer here and highly recommended. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. The added breakfast is a plus.

We love staying at the Best Western! The rooms are always so clean, the beds have a TON of pillows & the BREAKFAST. The BREAKFAST IS DELISH! The pancake maker is my kids favorite! My husband & son enjoyed putting around in the middle common area too! I also liked the scooter rental, it is a fun way to grab dinner, run to the mall or farmers market!

Breakfast amenity is great. However during our stay, the bathtub drain was clogged, I reported to the front desk and our request was ignored. Extremely disappointed for the price we paid for. I could've stayed at the Marriott for better and cleaner facility but we were in a wedding group. Hope your company will compensate your staff better as it reflects on their performance.

Absolutely amazing. Heated pool was so nice, so was the jacuzzi. The kids loved the breakfast and so did we, lots of choice and very nice. The staff are amazing, they really worked hard, Spencer checked us in and he was so helpful. The area was safe and lots of shops around. Will definitely book again.

Great location where shopping malls and restaurants are within walking distance. Guests are entitled to free access at golds gym nearby. Breakfast buffet provides a great selections and the team members are engaging and caring.

BW Thousand Oaks has a great location. Lots of restaurant and shops within the vicinity. Close to beach and HWY 1. Rooms are large and clean. Complimentary breakfast is great! They also have ice and water stations on every floor. Bring your refillable water bottle. Recommend to any family.

My husband has a bad back and hates most hotel beds, but was thrilled with how comfortable the bed was. Extra win for me on this vacation!

Stayed at this property in early October 2022 for my nieces wedding. It's an older property with good staff - good free breakfast - good clean room and ok rates. This property has a library room with leather furniture and decent pool and hot tub.

This property did not disappoint, I initially stayed here because I like Balconies and fresh air, and as a sales rep, my customer was nearby, I did have many hotel options close by. The staff here are friendly, the rooms were very modern and up date...and everything in the room worked, as a person that spends 150+ nights in a hotel, this means a lot...one of the cleanest properties, inside and out, and very safe. Great Property.

We paid a high price through TravelWorld to book a room here for 3 nights Tue-Thu which should've been cheaper nights than the weekend and did not ask for room cleaning on Wednesday but did post a "Please Clean Room" sign on our door at 9AM on before our final night on Thu but when we came back to the hotel, we found that the cleaning service had skipped our room. When we asked when they will clean it, the cleaning manager initially refused and argued that we did not post the sign until the afternoon, which was a lie. After complaining to the front, they finally changed the towels and took out the trash, but that was all. Horrible attitude and service that ruined our experience!! We will never stay here again

Returning there for the 3rd time, still the best choice for Thousand Oaks for this price ! Clean rooms, friendly staff and a decent breakfast. Please note that there was no kettle in the room for tea addicts like me, but there was a micro-wave, a coffee-maker and a fridge. Also , at the time of our stay , there was no laundry room available.

Friendly staff, excellent service, clean room, great location! The room was quiet and comfortable. Lots of parking and a beautiful courtyard. Highly recommend, I'll definitely stay here next time I'm in town!

Decent hotel, nothing fancy. Room was pretty clean with the exception of someone else's leftover coffee in the coffee pot (coffee grinds) and the giant spider my husband killed. Housekeeping is eh. They never refilled my creamers for coffee so I woke up without a cup of joe on days 2 and 3 because I don't drink it black. They also didn't change our trash can out on day 2. But they did make up the beds when requested. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant on site is so so. Good enough to eat at after a long day of traveling. Waitress at Restaurant leaves much to be desired. She had an attitude the entire time while serving us, never offered to refill our drinks or ask how our food was. My 90 and 88 year old grandparents were celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary that day (the trip was the family celebration) and my grandfather sweetly asked the Waitress if they do anything for anniversaries like a piece of cake or a cookie. She responded curtly with "NO". My grandfather then jested in a friendly joking manner, "not even for 63 years?" She again responded with "NO" so he said ok never mind. We fully appreciate Restaurants not offering anything like that as their standard practice but the server could have responded much more kindly. No respect for two elderly patrons, one whom served in the Korean War and was wearing his hate stating as much. Based off that Waitress I will never stay at this property again nor will I ever spend my money at that restaurant. Someone needs to remind the server She works in CUSTOMER SERVICE. She needs to work on her people skills and adjust her cold attitude and demeanor.

I visited the Best Western Thousand Oaks hotel at the top of the month and was met by some difficult and tasteless challenges. There was old and molded food found in the microwave, what appeared to blood on the sheets, and a ton of interactions that felt very unfair and discriminative. When I expressed my concern to the manager, he was professional, he compensated two nights of my stay free of charge. That was admirable and professional; however as soon as I brought up what felt like discriminative behavior and recommended the establish implement better hiring and training practices, I was rudely placed on the do not rent list and was at that point embarrassed and taken through a great deal of poor and unethical experiences. I advised both the regional and location managers that I had no desire to stain the reputation of the company by taking to Yelp or the business bureau or social media, hence my decision to bring my concerns to them directly. It is completely disheartening and disappointing given as a consumer I simply voiced my experience. There were a ton of other options that could have been taken with this incident starting with simply hearing out my concerns, agreeing to further investigate, increasing training etc but to respond the way these owners have further supports the very concern that I have expressed. In this day and time such poor business practices must be addressed. I could see if I trashed the room, had tons of guests or did anything to cause a burden to the establishments but I didn't. I simply conveyed my concerns and asked that they be addressed. This behavior is a poor reflection on the Best Western brand itself and should be addressed immediately! Travelers, please hold these owners accountable. We spend our hard earned money. We utilize their services and all we sometimes require is acknowledgment of our concerns and a means to a better resolution. I am so disappointed in this company and hope Best Western Corporate can help make this right!

In town for a family funeral. Just what I needed. Breakfast in the morning, a good gym close by-Golds. Not too far from the freeway and shops. Had a court yard room which was a little noisy with the freeway that is pretty close to the hotel. Would stay there again.

Nice place, clean, friendly and worth the price . Military rates are given to us veterans gladly and the respect is a nice touch. The rooms are comfortable along with the furnishings. It's well worth your time to stay at the property

We stay here regularly when visiting family. Staff always welcomes us and is friendly and efficient We'll definitely be back and can recommend the property to others. Close to the freeway and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Movie theater is not far as well.

I try to make most use of time. I love the fact they allow you to use the Golds Gym. I try to go when I can, they staff is so welcoming and respectful even if you are not an actual member there. I am very happy with the service and experience.

We stayed at this Best Western Plus for about two weeks on Business. Just off the busy 101 highway, it is conveniently located close to numerous restaurants & shops. Although some of the rooms - as did ours - are fronting the traffic, the windows are double paned and do a good job of keeping the noise out. Unfortunately, the first two nights of our stay were challenging because of an inconsiderate guest next door but that was quickly rectified by Alfredo who immediately upgraded us to an upper floor suite. As a matter of fact Alfredo proactively made sure that we were taken care of throughout our booking. And so did Ofelia & Lina which were exceptional in their costumer care. Speaking of making Lemonade out of Lemons. In addition, Daniel, the Assistant General Manager, kindly followed-up with us. Professionalism on every level can sometimes be hard to find. Not here. A hot & tasty breakfast is included with many offerings. Rooms are clean & beds very comfy. Pool area small but inviting. Enough said. We'll be back.

Many hotels do not have the personal touch. The Best Western in Thousand Oaks made us feel like a part of the family. They were well organized and cordial. They made suggestions for several amenities if we needed them. Their breakfast of hotel guests was excellent.

Really enjoyed my stay here. It's cute and quiet. There is lots of shopping and dining fairly close. Very close to the freeway but I never heard anything. The complimentary breakfast was really good, so many choices! The cons: The outlet for the coffee pot, under the tv did not work. They have you do an online check in prior to arriving. Very convenient; however, they make you go through ALL of it again when you arrive. Why? Not what I wanted to be doing at 10:30 pm when I arrived.

The beds were decent. That's about it. The two stars are taken away due to the dated appearance throughout the property and due to the failure of staff to manage the mobs of noisy guests. It was seemingly a full hotel and people were having fun which is great but they were up late laughing and screaming outside in the courtyard (common area). Earlier in the day, there were 37 people in and around one of the smallest hotels pools you would ever find. It was insane. I would likely enjoy my stay again on a quiet mid-week night perhaps.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving in order to spend the holiday with family who lived nearby. It was nice stay, things were pretty good. Some services not available due to COVID. We would definitely consider staying again.

Clean, comfortable with nice amenities at a good price! The decor is a bit outdated, but the staff are dedicated to cleaning and maintenance of the hotel and facilities. It's a very clean and comfortable place. Good breakfast Buffett, great rate for the area. Will be back!

Stayed at the Best Western Thousand Oaks for family visit during the Thanksgiving week. The hotel is centrally located with easy access to freeways. The room was very comfortable, good size, good bathroom and very quiet.

Every stay at this hotels is great. Hotel is always clean, staff is friendly and inviting and they are always interested in guest satisfaction and feedback. The breakfast that is served is always hot and fresh with a good variety of items.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn for two nights while in town for a family wedding. The room was very clean and everything was in excellent working order. Front desk staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. COVID protocols were followed and appreciated. And of course, the Pizza Cookery was amazing fir dining!

A comfortable stay in an older property; but care taken in the renovation details. Awesome old area pictures with background story. The bathroom a little small but was clean new tile, excellent lighting. Great TV selection with Dish network and lots of sports offerings, such as NHL Network, ESPN etc.

There aren't many options for hotels in TO, so we chose this one based on location. It's a solid 3-star hotel. Pros: Courtyard provides a quiet spot to read and relax outside of the room, good variety for breakfast, pool looked nice, rooms have been updated, bed relatively new, room was mostly clean, free access to Gold's Gym, staff friendly and responsive. Cons: Wifi is TERRIBLE, slow and intermittent; thin walls (could hear our neighbors, especially at 3am playing music); hot tub cold (pool water was warmer); kids not allowed in at Gold's Gym unless you have a membership; bathtub stained dirty; put in request for more blankets and pillows online in the morning, no response until I called front desk in the evening; in-room refrigerator was so loud we had to unplug it at night. It's a 3-star hotel, so we didn't expect luxury. Now that I know what it's like there, I might choose to stay again if the price was right and I didn't need Wifi for anything.

Felt a bit over priced for what it was. A bit disappointed. Id rather pay the same rate else where for similar rate. They absolutely refused late check out, even after I offered to pay. We had to dress up for a Wedding 4 hours in advance with kids and walked around the mall. The sofa bed mattress is terrible, I felt the metal bar in the middle. Glad we only had to stay for one night.

The Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn was tremendous! The staff, the amenities, and our overall stay was quick, easy, and was a great location. Working with Kristina was amazing and made any changes that we needed happen without hesitation. Overall, great hotel.

Was very impressed with the overall cleanliness considering the large size of the hotel. Staff was very welcoming and thanked me for being a member. Upon checkout, staff member mentioned that my gift card had been applied toward the total of the bill...without me even asking! Room was clean with modern amenities. Netflix was included in channel lineup!

I travel to Thousand Oaks CA for work many times a year. I always request the Best Western Thousand Oaks hotel. The rooms are always clean, staff are very nice and the restaurant that is attached is very good. It is centrally locates and I love to shop at the either of the two malls right next door. Most of all as a woman traveling alone, I always feel safe there.

We drove here to be closer to LAX for an early flight the next day. Pretty dated but room is spacious , bed and pillows good. Bathroom and vanity small but sufficient. Location very convenient , close to freeway

We stayed here one night to be close to the wedding venue in Moorpark. They were able to accommodate our early check in request so we could get dressed for the black tie event. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and made registration quick and simple. We had lunch in the pizza place. The pizza was delicious as was the garlic bread that's served when you're seated. The hostess was welcoming and servers were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

I went to go visit a friend in Thousand Oaks (1st opportunity after being Covid vaccinated) and just needed a bed to overnight. Located in a shopping a center, this venue is tucked away in a back corner, so tricky to find, but on the plus side kind of secluded and private. Location is near all kinds of retail amenities. Front-desk staff was extremely polite. Room was very clean, bed sufficiently firm, TV easy to use, Internet access easy to use. Right near a freeway, but if you leave the window closed you'd never know it--extremely quiet because of sound insulation. Thousand Oaks is not really a destination in and of itself so the place shuts down after usual retail closing times, but if you're looking a nice "guest bedroom" to stay in within a "bedroom community" while you do things in the nearby West Valley, Malibu, or Ventura County areas, this would be an excellent choice. Again, location within a shopping district makes it easy to find a place to get a bite to eat or to pick up any thing you forgot to bring on your trip. If you're a public transit type of traveler, you might be happier in the more urban, dense, and sketchier West Valley where there are more bus and rail options--to live and visit in TO you'll need a car.

This is a great place to stay when traveling or just writing a novel. There are numerous places to entreat your likes and the Thousand Oaks mall is a short walk and you can shop till you drop down in anyone of a dozen eateries. Clean quiet and comfortable...Try it you'll love it...

First time I stayed here. It was close off the freeway and easy to find. The staff were great checking in and very helpful. The room was nice and big and clean, I didn't try the restaurant but looked like it was busy. A few other places to eat close by.

Being a Best Western member got me a better price, but I would've paid the regular price anyway. This hotel was clean, quiet and staff always was there to help. Check in and check out was easy and the restaurant in the lobby was phenomenal! (Pizza Cookery) I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect. Anything you would need is within walking distance. Staying alone as a female, I felt safe and I wasn't put in a room on the ground floor. A+!

Stayed 2 nights with one kind bed. Easy to find off the freeway. Courteous staff. Breakfast was grab-and-go style with a small breakfast burrito, a pastry, a granola bar and water. Room was very spacious. Would stay again.

In the defense of the hotel, staff was great, room didn't smell, bed was comfy, water was hot. Hotel was LOUD! We got a room with facing the courtyard and the balcony not facing the freeway on the third floor. Heard every car and truck that drove within a mile of the hotel. Sirens all night. Inconsiderate guests letting their doors slam as they left their rooms(why do you idiots do that?) A group of people eating in the courtyard playing rap music loudly. Miserable stay and other than maybe hotel staff doing something about the loud music, the noise was beyond there control. The room was clean but the bathroom was not great. Toilet was installed crooked. Water pressure was awful. Scuffed and not looking clean. It just wasn't what I was used to expect from a Best Western. Why didn't I bring any of this to the attention of the staff? I was exhausted. The front desk was the complete opposite side of where we were. I didn't want to move, so I just settled. The restaurant offered a large menu. We went with sandwiches which were lacking flavor (and napkins), supper soggy (slightly toasting the break could have potentially fixed that). Not worth it. We read the reviews prior, maybe they were having an off night, but underwhelming and disappointing. I haven't written a review on a while. I only do if there was a great or not great experience. This was not great.

Best Western Plus is our GO-TO stay wherever we travel. We are rarely disappointed and the Thousand Oaks location was no exception. Beautiful room w/ plenty of space. Staff was speedy and helpful. The Pizza Cookery (attached restaurant) is wonderful making the stay even better.

I've stayed here on business during the week for the last 8 months. I choose to stay here because of the excellent service and cleanliness of the rooms. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff has made quite an impression on myself and my coworkers!

Safe and clean hotel. Friendly staff and everyone working had a mask on, safety protocol's were being followed. They had a self- temperature check at the door. They had plenty of self parking, free Wi-Fi, a refrigerator and microwave. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, television worked great. Nice little downstairs patio area where you can sit...very nice. Pool was closed for renovation, good time for a renovation because of covid. Would definitely stay at this Best Western again,

Close to all amenities it is for me a home away from home... Clean quiet and friendly... The freeway is super close and a major mall is next door. Ample parking and a restaurant as part of the hotel..

Traveling during the pandemic is hard, but Best Western made it better. Clean room, nice staff. The hotel is centrally located and close to the malls and other destinations. The room had been sanitized.

Conveniently located in the heart of Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village; restaurants and shopping malls are within a 5-10 min walk. The room is spacious, clean, and the bed is comfortable. Parking is complimentary on site. Breakfast Buffet (yummy!) is included (currently “grab & go” due to the pandemic). As a regular patronage, the BestWestern Thousand Oaks Plus team (such as Kalyn, Ofelia, Lina, Daniel) has consistently been welcoming and helpful; overall outstanding services.

Luxurious spa room was equipped with upscale modern decor and working amenities. Pleased with arrival and departure as the staff here make you feel at home. Definitely coming back; the best hotel by far in Ventura County!

Checking in was terrible they said my room was going to be available at 8am I got there at 9 and I had to wait 15 min for my room and it was still not ready. Breakfast was terrible they had cereal and yogurt but the night before it was a full breakfast made me want to question it was just a waste of money

Hotel hosted a large private event with very loud music that continued until 10:00 PM. Afterwards the party continued throughout the hotel with screaming kids and loud, likely drunk, arguments that went until at least 1:00 AM. Hotel staff was largely disengaged and did nothing to monitor or control this. Substandard breakfast for this type of hotel.

I am local to the area but needed a hotel room while we moved from one apartment to the next. We were not sure how long our stay was going to be and they were able to accommodate our needs. We only stayed for 2 nights however, it was the most relaxing part of my move and much needed for R&R. The rooms and bathrooms were impeccably clean as well as they supply organic soaps, lotions, shampoo, etc. That was another huge plus! I have lived in the area practically all of my life however, I have never stayed at this hotel. Will definitely be recommending it to friends and colleagues when they come to town for a visit!

We stay here about twice a year since my sister lives at the Reserve in Thousand Oaks. We like the larger rooms on the top floor away from the freeway. All rooms arevery clean and comfortable. Also really liked the new breakfast buffet.

The hotel is close to great shopping and dining. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Had issues with TV and Internet.The remote did not work they had to come to the room to reprogram it, after that about a third of the Channels either don't work or would cut in and out. The Internet was spotty at best.

Great stay, 4th year in a row. Clean, easy access, lots to offer nearby. Plenty of parking, good sized rooms. Didn't use the courtyard this trip. Only complaint is the new style room temperature controls are hard to figure out.

Just okay rooms, very nice staff. Convenient location, close to freeway. Very nice heated pool with beautiful patio. They even have a place to wash own clothes. We come to this area every three months and stay here. The mall is right next door.

While the room was clean, there were a number of deficiencies, some of which could have been prevented. When we check in in in December 2019, our room was 53 degrees inside, despite having reserved days in advance. Heater took ours to bring it up to 70 degrees, and ran noisily mostly all night. Decor is right out of the 1970s, no modern amenities, like USB charging stations, easy access plugs, etc. Hot water took 3+ minutes to arrive to the bathroom sink. $12 voucher to adjacent restaurant for breakfast only if you are a BW Gold member, otherwise you pay their high prices in full. Clerk failed to give us the vouchers, but did tell us about the discount. Miniscule and frigidly cold bathroom never did warm up. Car charging station hidden around a side wall, only found by accident as we were leaving to find a Supercharger elsewhere. Freeway noise from old leaky windows, fortunately drowned out by the heater.

I stayed at this inn twice in the last 2 months. During the first stay on 11/23/19 , there was no continental breakfast, only food from the attached Italian restaurant. They did give me coffee to go. On the second visit, however, we were informed that there was no breakfast available. (Despite an indication on the website that there is.) The restaurant is still there but now apparently does not honor a breakfast voucher. This does not warrant a Best Western Plus designation. Everything else about this property is quite mediocre, nothing special, no outstanding features.

This hotel has been around for many years under various ownerships and flagships. The outside is dated and a bit worn, with stairwells and elevators really showing their age. The guest rooms are in good shape and must have been modernized in the last few years. Overall, once inside the guest room, the place is your typical Best Western Plus. The Lounge and adjacent Italian Restaurant are the highlights. The bar drinks are expertly poured and shook and the happy hour has good deals. The Italian food at the restaurant is good, but not outstanding. Interesting, the menu has an abundance of Vegan and Vegetarian offerings, about a page each.

We stayed there for only one night, since we're traveling and we didn't know what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised firstly by it's appearance in the lobby, it has a cosy bar right next door, the staff is so nice, rooms were clean and Very quiet (even though the highway is pretty close and our room was facing it), breakfast was really really good and on the top of everything..we forgot our camera when we checked in and didn't even realize, but one of the staff members found it and looked us up in the hotel to give us the camera back. We were so pleasantly surprised by all of the kindness and everything. We highly recommend it!

We visited our son at Cal Lutheran and had a nice stay during Homecoming. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and nice. We prefer the rooms with 2 queen beds because they're on the quieter side of the hotel. Thank you!

The room was disgusting. The bathtub had dirt and grime in it, little hairs all over the bathroom. So nasty. But what I could not believe is what my ONE YEAR OLD found in the room. When I came out of the bathroom, I saw my son holding a half full can of CHEWING TOBACCO and a dirty sock!!! That he must have found under the chair. He was shaking it around, thankfully didn't get it open!! He could have got poisoned if he got it open and ate some of it!! Did they not even clean the room? When I mentioned it to the front desk all they did was offer 10% off of my stay. Absolutely terrible! My baby could have gotten extremely sick. I will never go back to this hotel ever again, they CLEARLY do not clean their rooms.

Loved everything about this hotel - from location to amenities available !!! We asked to checkout at 6pm instead of the usual 12noon - we've done this at all the other hotels we have stayed in while on holidays in the USA ( 15 times), we are charged an extra half days rate at all hotels but - No ... at this one they charged us a full days rate-$159us -for 6 extra hours stay -even after politely inquiring about it I was told no that's what they charge - shame on you!!!

We always stay here when we visit Thousand Oaks. It's a pleasant, clean place right off the freeway --just wish they still had a continental breakfast buffet. Now it's a restaurant breakfast - but very good.

The warm-hearted hotel staff treat me like family and are always there to meet my accommodations. This hotel offers upscale amenities and luxurious rooms that are unrivalled for the price. Every time I check in and checkout, I am always left with a smile on my face. I wouldn't be having a memorable time if it weren't for without the friendly and helpful staff that go out of their way for me.

We stay here fairly frequently for an overnight stop. The hotel is not fancy, or beautiful. It is functional and consistent. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and breakfast, while a bit unpredictable (we've had take away, almost continental and full hot breakfast over the past 2 years), is sufficient and fresh. While materials used are medium to low end, the beds are comfortable, and it was refurbished recently enough not to feel too old on the inside. The courtyard is surprisingly cute and comfortable if you have time to lounge around. It is very convenient to hwy 101, California Lutheran University and shopping/dining just off a shopping center property. We feel the price is reasonable for the area and so we come back.

No, this isn't a 4-star hotel, but you get a lot of bang for your buck at this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, and the rates are very reasonable. I stay here quite a bit and find the front desk personnel very accommodating and responsive. Ample breakfast is offered and there is a pizza restaurant in the connecting building. I would recommend this hotel.

I spent 10 weeks in Thousand Oaks and stayed at the Best Western plus . The hotel is kinda dated but they keep the site and very good shape . I would expected much more from the breakfast considering the PLUS emblem added to the hotels name . The breakfast is the same everyday but it sufficient . The staff was very nice . So I recommend this hotel if your in the Thousand Oaks area

I had a meeting nearby so stayed here just one quick night. Pros--easy to find, nice people, fast check in and a really great benefit, access to a great Golds Gym nearby. That was fantastic. Cons---the small A/C unit was so loud it woke me up every time it kicked on so I didn't get a good nights sleep. Also no safe. Also I was told about a breakfast voucher but never got one, plus its apparently at the restaurant next door and only pays for part of a meal. I just didn't have time, definitely prefer the grab and go type of setup at most of these level of accomodation. But fine for short stays, easy to find.

The hotel was close to the mall, restaurants, movie theaters and entertainment. It was easy on and off from the 101 freeway yet was quiet inside the hotel. The layout was easy and quaint. It was a relatively pleasant surprise. I have stayed at 5 five hotels in the Thousand Oaks area. We frequented the Westlake Plaza but their prices soared this year so we found this little gem. We are returning to BW in October. Some of the furniture was a bit older, but nothing wrong with it. They were in the middle of upgrading their televisions and show options, but we were not able to access it yet. Next time.

The hotel is a little older, but the rooms are very clean, comfortable and the Staff is very nice and accommodating. Centrally located near stores, restaurants you name it. We stayed here as a group of 40 and everyone was very satisfied with our stay. thank you BW.

OK, I had to go out to Westlake Village for a business trip and I picked this hotel because it was 5 miles away. The front desk people were excellent, the restaurant in the hotel had excellent food (I highly recommend the Margherita pizza!) and the in-room coffee was GOOD! Now, I'm a fussy coffee drinker but the stuff in the room was great and even the decaf was GOOD! When a place has good dark roast decaf, I'm impressed! The hotel was very clean, no dirt or trash anywhere, parking was easy. I will go there again.

Very clean and professional. We were traveling from Oregon on Hwy. 101 and one. Was a nice way to end our trip. This hotel competes with the best of the chains. I am a past pet lover, but staying in a pet free hotel has its advantages.

I find that Best Western, now with a restaurant, has it all within minuets from anything you might like. Theater, cinema shopping with the major movies studios near by is a good reason to stay at Best Western.

Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks is an excellent hotel for travelers! It is in the heart of Thousand Oaks, close to many attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and spacious with a small deck to enjoy. Outside the door is a courtyard with a common sitting area. The breakfast is great and constantly monitored. The neighborhood is safe and easily accessible. The price is average for the area and I considered a bargain for the amenities and location. The next time I am in the Thousand Oaks area, I will be staying at the Best Western Plus!

front desk should know what is going on in their motel. when crime scene with dead bodies in the connecting room next to the first room they put us in. The next room they put us in the AC was not working breaker had to be reset which i did . Room looked liked it had not been renovated for some time

Great stay at this Best Western. From check in to departure this property did not disappoint. The room was comfortable, well furnished, clean and quiet. The staff was great as was the breakfast which had a wide assortment of food items. We will stay at this property again for sure

My stay was very nice one. The Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn is very quite and clean place. The rooms includes everything one need to feel very comfortable. The staff were great. It was a very easy access to Ice machine and drinks. There is also an elevator in the building.

Very pleasant staff. The room was good. The accommodation for the conference room was very good, but the service there was excellent! The A/C was not connected at the time because they were installing a new restaurant. The staff made every effect to make temperature comfortable.

Overall great service, a bit outdated rooms, but sparkly clean and great amenities. Stayed with my partner for one night while visiting the area and it was a great stay, with alot of food and shops around the area.

My stay couldnt have been bettet. Very clean and quiet and staff were great. I am recently disabled and the only complaint is it is a bit from parking around to entrance of rooms. Really liked how room had seperate sitting area .

Let's see, freeway noise, lumpy bed, no hot water until management had "someone" turn it on and a pathetic spray of water from the bathroom faucet. Noisy AC/heat unit. On the positive side, the location is convenient and there's good lighting in the bathroom. No complaint re cleanliness nor service. Personnel very polite and pleasant. Standard breakfast buffet. Unlimited number of restaurants in the vicinity as well as shopping.

I always stay at Best Western Plus when I'm in town. It has all the amenities I need and more. With the Thousand Oaks mall next door and the freeway across the street you are minutes away from wherever you need to go and that includes a hospital just down the road...

Had volleyball in the area, and booked here at last minute. They graciously got us in. Rooms were fine. Sleep and beds were great! Two sinks in room (one In bath, one out), which was convenient and helpful for us. Breakfast was your basic free breakfast with omelettes and waffles and bacon and and yogurt and a few fruit choices. Not quite the spread of other places. Issued you tix for the free breakfasts. Right next to noisy highway 101 but we never heard it inside. Hotel has a courtyard with palm trees and rooms open up to this. Nice.

Came home for a funeral. Was supposed to get a special rate due to everyone staying at the hotel for the service but none available. Restaurant shut down, rooms decor so old and maid disregarded Do Not Disturb sign on door. Only bonus is it was close to reception at Marcellos which is amazing

In advance of my reservation I asked many questions but not everything was told to me which had an adverse affect on my stay. I am physically handicapped, requiring a room with two beds/one for my caregiver. I use a wheelchair and/or a walker so need sufficient room to navigate. This hotel has only 3 ADA rooms, but only one is really bathroom accessible for a walker/wheelchair. This was not told to me until checkout. Also I requested early check in after 2pm due to my evening's early event time. Upon arriving there was no accessible ADA counter and the ladies at the counter were not a bit helpful saying we would have to wait to check in, etc. They did not address me but spoke to my caregiver until I interrupted to be included in the dialog, etc.. An elderly couple, he disabled with a walker, leg prothesis and blind in one eye were also waiting for check-in. NO one else around. They eventually left the premises. We did not get into our room until after 3:30! Apparently there was a housekeeping issue, but waiting (disabled ) people should have been accommodated immediately as no one else was waiting for check in. Our room was not accessible to the toilet even with a walker and physical changes/contortions had to be made each time I used the restroom. The heating system did not work properly, the microwave had a wheel missing from the revolving plate. All told, a very frustrating situation, but the breakfast provided was very good and the bed height was doable with some help for me. This is really a lovely place and I have stayed there before being disabled with no incidents. Next time I will know what room to ask for! I have to say, though, it's the worst bathroom situation I have ever encountered as psychically disabled! At check out it was explained why the toilet's position could not be changed, but people need to be advised in advance.

The receptionist Kailynne is the best! She is professional, kind, and accommodating to her guests. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are always extremely tidy. The bed is very comfortable as well as the other amenities offfered in the room.

My husband uses a scooter to get around and a roll-in shower is essential. I made the reservation online and the staff called twice before we arrived to make sure they had everything we needed. The room wad lards enough for him to get around on the scooter without a problem. The kingsized bed was just the right balance between comfort and firmness. Five pillows made for good sleeping and relaxing TV time. The breakfast buffet had a range from yogurt to waffles and was included with the room. We will stay there again.

The rooms are clean, the value is good. The only thing that bothered me was that breakfast wasn't open until 7:00, the rooms had coffee but only ceramic cups - which I do like - but with no coffee in the lobby and having to be on the road by 6:45 I was out of luck. Best Western...what about some coffee in the lobby, I stayed there a week - other than the coffee “fiasco” - and once the restaurant opens again I highly recommend this location - it's near the freeway as well as a lot of other things. Definitely would rate a 4 otherwise - coffee, and breakfast are important to me.

Comfortable and easy stay. Had a nice little stay here with the wife. Very pleased with the service. Breakfast was as good as one should expect and the in room spa was awesome. Recommended for anyone.

Bed was fairly comfortable. Continental breakfast was weak. No protein at all. Toast, cereal, mini muffins and instant oatmeal. Coffee cups were very small and not even variety creamer. Water pressure is weak but good and hot. Staff very friendly and location is a plus! Close to mall for eating variety and easy freeway access.

Let me start with paper thin walls. We were traveling for a personal family engagement and most of the time BW is a go to for an affordable stay. The hotel is conveniently located next to the really loud 101 freeway. Check-in was a breeze and reception was friendly and courteous. They kept our group on the same floor which worked well. Another group of sports kids were in the hotel too, which made it a full hotel. The kids above us kept running back and forth all night long and kept running the the water all night long. Trust me when I say I heard it all. Then at 11:30p, I heard people arguing in the courtyard. Sleep evade me at this hotel. Complimentary internet and breakfast. Very limited healthy options for breakfast since there were lots of carbs and sugar in the continental breakfast. Staff was friendly.

I've come and gone from this Best Western Plus here in good old TO and I love it, especial since part of my story is about the Wizards Inn. I've crafted a great deal of my story from the amenities that I find all around TO and the neighboring are. There is a lot of history as one hikes the hills and travels through a few oak forests. Even Wildwood Park and Happy Camp trail offer the mind a great deal to dream about as you wind around a bend in the trail and meet some type of wild animal. Much flavor can be conjured up with the right surroundings and Best Wester Plus is a great place to start.

This hotel was great for what you pay. Rooms are a little outdated as far as decorations and carpeting go, but everything was clean and bed was very comfortable. Welcoming and kind at the front desk upon arrival. Took away one star because of noise. There were doing construction at 2-3am outside the hotel. Not much the hotel can do about that, but just something that shoulf be noted.

Great location because it's easy to access the freeway. Unfortunately, I don't know if there were police cars on the freeway or on the street, but I was woken up by sirens easily heard 3 different times during my stay there. So, minus one star for that. Room is large with a sofa, a TV, a large mini-fridge, and a microwave and coffee maker. Door length mirror and a makeup mirror for the ladies. Nice firm bed and clean rooms.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at the Thousand Oaks, in California for our sons wedding in Thousand Oaks itself so the hotel was the perfect location. Very comfortable rooms with all the mod cons, good food & very helpful staff.The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere & would highly recommend. Will certainly being staying here on our next visit.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. My sister and I enjoyed our stay. The only odd thing was the toilet in the bathroom was extremely small and set in an awkward position. The location was one of the very best part of the hotel. They are surrounded by shopping and eating. I would definitely stay here again.

Located in the beautiful area of Thousand Oaks, this hotel has quick access to Highway 101 and is practically a hop, skip and jump to a premium shopping center and restaurants. If you prefer to dine within the hotel, treat yourself to the "Camboni" Italian Restaurant & Bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner - very tasty menu items ! The hotel rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds have "comfy" mattresses. Loved the outdoor heated pool & hot tub, both located in a relaxing atmosphere.

Easy access from 101, a minute off the off ramp, gas stations, mall multiple restaurants, including onsite restaurant. The hotel gives a 7.00 voucher for breakfast. Good service, good food. Extremely Clean room, extra towels, tolietries, hair dryer. Cable service is great, all English speaking channels. Bed comfortable, floors immaculate. Front desk always staffed by multiple people. Close parking. Well oiled machine.

My wife and I, traveling to visit family and friends spread out within the Los Angeles area, chose to stay mid way between locations. The Best Western Plus in Thousand Oaks couldn't have been a better choice. It is clean, comfortable, near HWY 101, accommodating with a unique courtyard to relax. We'd stay here again when in the area.

This hotel is located in a good area. It's within walking distance of Robles hiking trail, a mall is nearby, and there are many dining options. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Check in and check out were easy.

It's a place that's right in the middle of everything needed for a vacation with only a short travel time to get to where you might be headed off too. Theaters cinemas restaurants shopping malls and of course golfing for the enthusiasts.

Our second stay ( last time was 2 years ago ) the hotel has been refurbished. There is a great library and a nice pool, very friendly staff. It's nice to have the restaurant too, and the voucher for breakfast. Great situation , it takes 5 minutes to walk to The Oaks Mall, and the cinemas. The beds are super comfortable, great deal really. Free parking is available.

It was better then expected the staff was very friendly and front desk miguel helped us at check in and he was very helpful when we asked of place to go out too and he gave helpful information and hotel was clean the only bad part is the plumbing isnt the greatest with toilet but besides that definitely will stay in near future!

Clean rooms, quiet (in spite of the noise from the nearby freeway, which you get used to quickly), friendly staff. I stay here often for business -- a great, inexpensive alternative. Vey close to two shopping malls, easy freeway access, decent dining options within a few minutes drive.

We stay here when visiting family in TO. Rooms and beds are very clean and comfortable. On our last visit, I had a concern about the final bill but it was quickly resolved by friendly staff. We like the fourth (top) floor and the center courtyard is charming. Will only stay here on our regular visits.

Hotel is attractive and clean, but noisy at night, walls are paper thin. Am mobility disabled, so I paid more to have the handicap room. Turning on shower (walk in) was difficult and took a while. Front desk didn't know how to do it, said others had complained about it, and offered to move me to another room (this was at 4 in the morning and I had to depart at 5:30 AM to get to airport). Rough going for a while but finally got water turned on, put a kink in my stay there for sure.

I'm told the Best Western is probably one of the better places to stay if you're visiting Thousand Oaks or the surrounding area and in my experience it was one of the better places I've stayed at on business trips. The hotel has a welcoming, homely feel and my room was fine, it was spacious and had all the things you expect like a TV, fridge, Wi-Fi etc, but the decor was a little dated.Not that I used them but the hotel also has a business centre and other nice areas to meetings in as well as a small pool if you fancy a dip. Breakfast is taken in the adjoining Italian restaurant and you are given a voucher at reception each morning for the part cost. I ate there twice and the food was ok but not at the level I've had at other similar hotels. The service however was excellent with my server being very friendly and often checking if I needed a coffee top up. On the whole an enjoyable stay, my only criticism would be that one or two members of staff on reception often seemed less than enthusiastic.

Have stayed at this location on several occasions. Convenient location. Close to freeway, restaurants and Thousand Oaks mall. Hotel is comfortable. Rooms are a good size and bedding is very good. Has restaurant attached and you are given a $7 voucher towards your breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I was here for a 2 day writer's conference and picked the Best Western for its close proximity to my venue and price. What a great hotel! First and foremost I would like to recognize Paulina, who helped book my stay. She was courteous, friendly, kind and patient. The rest of the staff was very great as well. My room was clean and filled with everything I needed (they had a bottle opener in there which many hotels for some reason still fail to provide guests). That bed was some of the best sleep I've gotten in a while. The restaurant was terrific and I got a chance to chat with the owner and done wonderful guests over drinks. They also give you free access to Gold's Gym...a high end facility fully equipped with state of the art equipment and saunas! They are centrally locates and the area does have restaurants, bars. They had line dancing at one of them last night. Hilarious and fun experience. I don't know when I'll be back to Thousand Oaks again but when I do, this will be my hotel of choice. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful service.We came in late for our daughter's graduation from Cal Lutheran and the front desk staff was very professional. The room was very nice and clean.. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends..The beds were very comfortable and the staff and front desk were very helpful and courteous.

The place itself was decent enough, I'd say typical 2.5 star motel. They give you a $7 voucher per person for breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The prices are exceedingly high, they offer no gluten free or vegan option, the coffee is like a gas station (at best) for over $3 per cup, and there is only one very rude staff member doing everything. Initially we thought the one person was also doing the cooking, because it took so long for anything to happen. Seriously, he was so rude it ruined our opinion of Best Western as a reliable brand. The road noise from the freeway is constant, and it is not a pedestrian friendly area.

Whenever I'm traveling and looking for a simple stay, I've come to book Best Westerns because they meet my needs perfectly. The experience at this location, however, was disappointing. Staff: My first impression of the hotel was when I had to call the front desk and let them know that I had 2 nights booked under separate reservations. I asked to combine them so we wouldn't have to move. The front desk staff, Donna, was terse and seemed a bit annoyed (bad morning perhaps?). She hung up on me before all my questions were answered. Breakfast: Even though the booking does indicate that breakfast isn't included, the hotel offered a $7 voucher per person to the restaurant next door. That gets you coffee ($3) and a small bagel with a pack of cream cheese ($4.25). And you still have to pay for tax and gratuity. The food itself is meh, and the service was rather slow. The second morning I used our vouchers for take out and just ordered as many bagels as the credit buys. Room: If you booked a freeway room, beware of the noise. It gets really loud, especially on the weekends when those ridiculous choppers ride up/down the coast. Tip: If you don't need the AC, cover the vent because a lot of the noise comes from there. Also, the water pressure was extremely pathetic, both in the sink and the shower. I did like the rest of the room, which had a comfortable bed and a huge TV, perfect for watching the NBA playoff games while getting ready for a wedding. Bottom line, it just does not warrant the price. Good news, though is that there's plenty of parking!

We have stayed at the Thousand Oaks BW Inn many times. Get a room at the back of the hotel to excape the freeway noise. Place is tastefuly decorated, rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is very helpful. Just wish they would provide a free hot breakfast buffet instead of a sit-down, order and pay for it breakfast.

We were you able to book a room last minute and the staff was very helpful with recognizing our Rewards membership level and giving us our upgrade. We had a great day it's always a pleasure staying here.

This is a really nice hotel in a quiet area. It is near much shopping and food places and directly off of the highway. It is a little easy to miss because it is not on a major street in terms of where it is directly located.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Nice clean room. Bathroom needs work. Very clean and well kept. Landscaping could use and update (new mulch etc.). Exterior is dated, but clean. Restaurant hours could be a little more extended.

Excellent BW+ with really good prices and amenities. Staff for check in and out was very professional and pleasant. Rooms above average. Only issue is no coffee. Separately owned restaurant is way over priced, terrible wait staff and unreliable hours - often closed.

We booked this hotel online. We were in the area for a friend's 80th birthday and didn't want to drive two hours home after the party. We are very pleased with our choice. The hotel lobby is modern and inviting. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I didn't remember reading that the doors open into an outside walkway overlooking a courtyard, but that wasn't really an issue. We stayed on the weekend of the time change, so we were not up and moving soon enough for the breakfast in the on-site restaurant. The hotel desk will give each guest a voucher for $7 off. Breakfast hours are 7-10 a.m. We were on the third floor and did have a bit of freeway noise, but it wasn't too bad. Our room was very clean, I just didn't care for the scent of the cleaner or deodorizer they used in the room. The price was good for our king bed room at $109 (with all taxes and fees included). Wi-fi is free. Eating options are close by. I would recommend this location and I'd stay again if I were back in the area.

Best Western Thousand Oaks Inn is convenient if needing to stay overnight while in the area. The room size was ample, clean, quiet (despite being right next to the 101 Fwy) and the property appeared well cared for. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions on restaurants and activities in the nearby vicinity. I would stay here again the next time I am in Thousand Oaks

If the weather is cold, know that there will be no heat in the room when you arrive. I appreciate the ideas of an environmental approach but I arrived in my room at 9:45pm and it was 53 degrees in the room at 45 minutes later it is up to 65 degrees. I'm still wearing my winter coat. I am pissed off that i spent $175 with tax to stay in an ice box.

The staff was really accommodating and friendly will be back to stay again. The rooms are really clean as well as the property I didn't get to try the restaurant. Overall experience 2 thumbs up will be back

It was a three night stay for a visit to friends in the area. The staff was unusually friendly and helpful. There was an issue with our reservation, but Daniel quickly and efficiently resolved the difficulty. There was also a noise problem the first night because of a sports team, but again, the staff quickly took care of it. The premises are neat and clean. The room wasn't fancy but very adequate. Our room was quiet despite the fact the freeway is across the street. The motel is convenient for shopping and food.

You typically get what you pay for when it comes to hotels. The price here is fair and you get a clean, comfortable and quiet room. Pool and spa are private which is nice, not located in the middle of the property where all rooms overlook and causes noise.

Everything was very nice and clean and the staff was terrific. We were happy with the location and the hotel and the staff was excellent. The only issue that we had was with the high speed internet. It didn't work well in our room at all. Since we were only spending one night, we didn't report it.

Room was very small. They offer breakfast credit of 7.00 but the menu has nothing on it under 12.00. Rooms were clean but like I said very small. Hurt myself getting in and out of bed. Staff was rude and didn't seem to care about our concerns of the room size and the Breakfast situation.

From the moment we rushed through the doors in the middle of the night evacuating from the Thomas Fire, until checking out 18 days later, manager Luis Mendoza and his staff went above and beyond expectations to treat us like family and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Mr. Mendoza manages this hotel with perfection, and his staff is top notch. We stayed at this hotel under unusual circumstances as many of us fleeing the fire landed here and we were all treated with such compassion. It was challenging for the hotel staff to juggle rooms and meet all of our needs, and they did it day after day, always with a great attitude. The hotel itself is a very comfortable hotel - nice clean rooms, great beds, great service. We were so happy in this hotel!

Great hotel in the heart of Thousand Oaks. Perfect location - very central, close to the freeways, mall, restaurants. Keep in mind - if your room window is facing the freeway - you will hear the noise. The hotel is very well managed, nicely decorated. Rooms are spacious, very comfortable, have everything you need for hotel stay, like refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, hair dryer, etc. The entire front desk staff is absolutely amazing! They all went out of their way to make my stay very enjoyable. If I could rate them higher than 5 - I would. They welcome you as their personal guest. I stayed at Best Western longer than expected. The front desk staff made me feel at home, they were always happy to help with whatever was needed. Cleaning team is great - fast, efficient, rooms are kept clean. Everything is clean - public places, rooms, bathrooms, balconies. Restaurant does not belong to hotel, but entrance is right from the hotel lobby. It is open for breakfast and dinner. Great service and food. I had an extremely positive experience with Best Western. Loved the place. Highly recommend Best Western Thousand Oaks Inn. Absolutely - the best place to stay in Thousand Oaks!

BW Thousand Oaks is a nice hotel for lodging if you need to be in Thousand Oaks area whether for business or leisure. The location is perfect for accessing the many variety of stores and restaurants nearby. The hotel is quite and serene and situated in the location convenient to accessing the different freeways. The one improvement that I'd like to see happen to the hotel is to having full and free continental breakfasts like other Best Western hotels provide. Thank you very much.

Nice hotel, quiet. But usual BW breakfast not available, must go to a restaurant (with voucher), slowing down your day. Found cigarettes in our room. Conference center on grounds, could be loud/ distracting if you are looking for quiet.

Very nice motel, clean, fresh and friendly staff...My only complaint....The Conti Breakfast sucks! The $7 voucher used for the restaurant next door consisted of an apple or orange, $.59 bear claw and small coffee. Everyday? And no refill on the coffee. You can use the voucher for a sit down breakfast. But if you're there for any length like me (2 weeks on business) I didn't have time or $25 a day for a sit down breakfast. They need to fix that.

I had a lovely stay. The room was very quiet and I loved the fact that a palm tree blocked my view of the parking lot. It made the room feel very private with the drapes open. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, I slept well and felt safe. The bathroom was a bit small, but the shower was divine. The hotel offers a $7 per person credit in the attached restaurant for breakfast. Most items on the menu cost about $12, so you will be forking out a few more dollars for the meal. There really isn't anything else in walking distance so I went with it. You'll get a parking lot tag for your car.. I saw security watching the lot and the hotel is locked tight with key only access. I found the hotel lovely, it's staff professional and respectful, and the food in the restaurant very good. I'll be back.

The hotel is older yet updated nicely. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The wifi is fine. It does require you to sign in each day. No fitness room on site. They have a deal with Gold's gym down the street. Breakfast is a rip off. You get a $7 coupon to use in the restaurant. It does not cover this very expensive ala-carte menu. For 2 we ended up paying &40 after coupons for our "free" Bkfst. The grab bag option is a joke. 1 apple, 1 pastry NO yogurt after they cut down.

Booked hotel based on reviews and was not disappointed. This is a great location next to the Oaks Mall. About 30 minutes from Mailbu and the beaches. The hotel is older and they are working on it. The rooms have been remodeled and are nice. I had no issues with anything in the room. The center court yard is nice. They were working on the roof when we were there and put up a new sign out front when we were there. As I told them when I checked out, I would stay there again. Can't beat it for the price.

Under construction when we were there. Hard to determine quality with construction going on but rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and the location worked really well with shoppers and restaurants near by.

In a world of flux all around us the hotel business is no different. There is always changing going on and at Best Western they are no different. Remodeling is progress and I love to see it going on at Thousand Oaks, CA. Best Western. It may be slightly inconvenienced but it is for a short time. Then, after it is done the reward, we, the consumers partake in had been worth the wait.

I overall had terrible stay at this hotel only because they overcharged me 300 dollars making it a total of 500 dollars for one night. They charged me 150 dollars for a friend coming to drop something off that had a new puppy that just got surgery so he couldn't leave him in the car so he brought his dog in for less then 5 minutes and got charged. Then they charged me another 150 dollars for apparently smoking which I DONT EVEN SMOKE!!!! There was numerous cigarettes outside my hotel balcony and so they charged me for that as well... I had a terrible experience here and I will never stay here again. FYI "high speed" internet barely works

I had never stayed at a BW. Not sure why. After this visit I will always seek out this hotel chain first. Location, comfort, friendly staff and VERY comfortable bed and amenities in the room were all outstanding. And to top it off, the price was the best for the level of quality I enjoyed. No gimmicks, just down right comfortable. Sparkling unit, huge TV, DVD player, frig, microwave and a clean-smelling, fluffy comforter that snuggled me to sleep. If you are like me and have never tried BW Hotels before, give it a go. You will wander what took you so long.

I stayed in a king size room freeway facing this time. The room was quiet and I got a good night's sleep. There were historic photos in the room that was interesting to see. Internet speed was good. There is a swimming pool and nice flowers. There is a business center, library, and also conference rooms. There is also a very nice interior courtyard with seating on the 1st floor. For breakfast, they give you a $7.00 coupon towards breakfast. You will be paying more for breakfast. I had french toast at the adjoining restaurant called Camboni Italian Restaurant. Parking is free. Its also very nice that it is close to the Oaks Shopping Center, that has shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater. There is other shopping nearby as well. Staff is very nice. They are in the middle of installing new air conditioning so some construction. As such, I rated it very good than superb for this moderately priced Best Western with good freeway access.

Donna was really great before we arrived. We couldn't find the hotel with GPS, so she stayed on the phone with us while we were driving until we found the hotel. She also made sure she was there to greet us at check in. Everything in our room was clean and quiet. The rooms are cozy. You also have to try the Italian restaurant that's in the hotel. I did not expect much of a restaurant that's in a hotel, but even after eating Italian food in Texas, New York, and New Jersey, I have to say the restaurant in the hotel had the best Italian food I've ever had. I would definitely come back to the hotel and restaurant again!

I hadn't been to a CLU homecoming in over 25 years, so BW was my first choice to stay. Had a special rate for CLU alumni, and 12-15 minutes away from University. Staff was awesome, quick, helpful and wonderful in returning an item to me I had left behind (my senior moment) at a minimal cost. Will stay again for future homecomings.

Were it not for the VERY slow internet connection, I would rate this hotel excellent. I have stayed there many times over the past few years and I have brought the internet problem to the hotel staff on multiple occasions with no improvement. In this day and age when internet connectivity is so important for both personal and business purposes it is shame that his hotel cannot provide faster service. On a positive note, the presence of a high voltage charging station for electric vehicles is a definite plus.

Had to travel for family members illness. The staff was always friendly and professional and I had excellent service. Beds were comfortable and I had two excellent nights rest. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone traveling.

This place was located in a great town with lots of shopping and things to do not to far from beach or LA. We had a wedding to attend and it was a great staff was nice pool was nice comfortable lounge chairs.

Friendly staff on check in. Rooms are nice, clean and roomy. Lots of parking in a huge lot and stores and shopping mall are next door. The wifi speed is slow at 5 mbs. But Breakfast is the most unusual issue compared to other Best Westerns. It sounded a little suspect when the Desk Clerk said to return to the front desk in the morning to get our breakfast vouchers. What happened was, we got issued a $7 voucher per person. Then you must pay for anything over that in a menu where most entrees with drink will cost about $13.00 in a "restaurant." I went back to hotels.com and under "In the Hotel" and "Food and Drinks" it does state "Full Breakfast Daily (SURCHARGE)"!!!!!!!!! Just a heads up so you're not surprised as we were.

BW Thousand Oaks is a very attractive hotel with comfortable rooms, especially good if you are at the rear of the hotel away from the freeway. However, this is the only BW Plus I know of that does not provide a free hot breakfast buffet -- instead you have to order breakfast in a restaurant which is time consuming and honestly not as tasty.

I only stayed here one night but could imagine this being a good base for exploring the area. There's not much in the hotel (the Italian restaurant is ok) but plenty if shops nearby to eat or get food from. Classic Motel style accommodation and there's a pool and pitch and putt golf apparently! I'm not sure if there is breakfast on offer. I left early.

There are never many vacancies in the Thousand Oaks Westlake area. I was a bit hesitant to stay at a Best Western and I was pleasantly surprised. Great location, accommodating staff, very clean rooms.

Nearly every Best Western I've stayed at offers an excellent breakfast included with your stay. Not this place. They offer you a $7 "coupon" to be used at the adjacent restaurant. "Fine, I'll have a $7 breakfast," you think. HA! Coffee and the cheapest thing on the menu (two eggs and potatoes) costs more than $14!! and the potatoes were so over-seasoned they were next to inedible. It's a scam and I'm furious about it. Run away from this place. Don't judge all Best Western Hotels by this example. I spend 30-to-60 days a year in hotels and 99% of the time it is a Best Western and I am more than happy with them. But stay far away from this place.

We were staying at this hotel as it was recommended on our wedding invitation. When we arrived, the woman working the check-in counter made us feel as though we were a bother. Check-out was with the same woman and just as unfriendly and unprofessional. In fact, not a single staff member acknowledged us with a hello or even a smile in passing. The #2 elevator was slow and the doors wouldn't open on the 1st floor unless the door button was depressed every time. To end on a positive, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient to the wedding venue The Gardens at Los Robles Greens.

We stayed three nights and appreciated the calm and quiet. Our room and the hallways were clean, and we slept well since it was very quiet in and around the hotel. Another welcome feature was the fairly large common area, including an open library with two large massage chairs. The library opened onto a patio with a pool and jacuzzi that were well kept. The adjoining restaurant served excellent coffee worth getting up for, although the breakfast dishes were pretty bland and uninteresting.

Per title the room was overpriced, yes it was in Cal but still for 200 i expect quality, they gave us a 7$ voucher to use for the rest. next door their prices were over priced as well and the quality was so so this review is coming from a chef.

Daniel was great at check in. I asked for a very quiet room for my two night stay and he put me in room 127. Very quiet on an interior courtyard. The room was very cozy and had everything I needed. Will stay again when in Thousand Oaks.

Not a brand new hotel but well maintained. We were there during 100+ degree weather and the room was a real refuge (not everywhere in the area has AC). Quiet but close to shopping, theaters and restaurants, we were in the area for a wedding but also had time to fill. The restaurant was adequate for breakfast, out of a few items, but better than you might think from some reviews. Decent value and would choose again..

I recently syayed at the Thousand Oaks Best Western Plus hotel and had a great time! Check in was very professional and fast! Theres Plenty of parking,ideally located to freeways and Reality not stuck on the fringes of the Twilight Zone like some hotels are, nice small pool and Jacuzzi, a very modern clean establishment and all the staff were very friendly and helpful with all my inquiries. My room was really nice, furnishings modern and functional, a quiet relaxing experience, one good feature i liked was you needed your room key to always enter the buildings n pool areas thats definitely a plus for me. Checkout was a breeze and painless! The only Complaint i have is Most Best WESTERN PLUS hotels are known for their above and beyond morning travelers continental BREAKFAST! Not at this BEST WESTERN Plus hotel i was given at the desk some lame excuse they couldnt serve BREAKFAST in the hotel because of the Italian restaurant attached to the Plus hotel, which if i may point OUT is open from 5PM to 10PM a Conflict of Interest WOW!! REALLY!! And they will give you a voucher to eat next door in lieu of their not offering a breakfast. Hmmmmm it seems after spending all that MONEY time n effort they didnt consider the repercussions of being attached to a separate restaurant not associated with their hotel and not offering their guest the usual Plus feature BREAKFAST!!! This BEST WESTERN PLUS HOTEL should have mentioned it upon majing reservations and check in.So now i have to find a place to eat somewhere around hotel in an area im Not familiar with,being in a bad mood now and going to my business meeting ticked!! So what happens if your on vacation and with the family you have to gather them all up in your vehicle and search for a pkace to feed tour family then back to the hotel park and try to relax by the pool!! Oh boy vacation time.i didnt even get any form of INCONVENIENCE compensation! Just we are sorry and still hungry.

This was by far the best BW we have stayed in. The staff was great, the pool was large, and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The breakfast was not the usual bland BW fare, but was in the attached restaurant, which offered a wonderfully delicious selection and had a fabulous friendly and attentive waiter. Just a wonderful 2 night stay!!

Overall good hotel, awsome service and clean. The Restraunt was so bad with food and had ants inside. Don't recommend this to anyone. Front desk couldn't do anything either to satisfy my problem with them.

This hotel is close to California Lutheran University making it great for parents. Shopping malls are nearby with the factory outlets at camarillo just 20 minutes away! Fast food, gas and a trader joes are all on moorepark road. The best western plus is so convenient!

It's was a good stay. The breakfast food wasn't that good. The location was convinet for my purpose. The room was nice. Could hear everything outside so quietness didn't happen. Will return if needed.

Nicely located, close to two malls and many shops and restaurants. Easy free parking, plenty of spaces. Quick check-in )and check-out). Big room with TV, fridge, microwave and comfortable beds, good airco (but no in-room safe). Nice pool area. Only issue is car noise from the 101 highway day and night, although we generally slept through it.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. They addressed my issue immediately and went above and beyond. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others based on my experience this weekend.

Best Western provides a $7.00 voucher for breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. The breakfast experience was bad. Service was remarkably slow. Food was served lukewarm. A simple request for jam was simply ignored and only provided just before the meal was over. Coffee was marginal but that's perhaps because it it like the food arrived lukewarm.

Rooms are nice, but don't plan on breakfast if you have to leave before 7AM. Breakfast area is in attached Restaurant that is not open. There is a nice room next to the Lobby that was probably originally designed for Breakfast. Why don't they use it? We got no Elite Service and we stay in BW Hotels quite often.

The staff at the front counter were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable it was good for the 3 nights we were there. They offer a $7.00 voucher towards breakfast at the attached restaurant (apparently not part of the hotel) which did not cover the cost of any breakfast. They do offer a grab n go option which was an apple a stale donut and coffee or juice. We did try to go to the restaurant one day but it was only staffed with one cook and one server and could not handle the breakfast crowd so we had to find another restaurant. ( this was a Saturday) I did hear from fellow travelers that were in our party that they had a difficult time getting their rooms serviced. Ours were serviced just fine.

Thank you Daniel for going that extra mile to make our night, he saved us. My husband accidentally booked another hotel in the area that was an absolute nightmare. We showed up at the hotel I originally wanted at midnight (after a long travel day) and Daniel worked is magic and totally made our night. I hadn't seen my kids and grandkids in 3 years and I am eternally grateful

Nice room, even facing the freeway, and a reasonable price for the area. Didn't like the breakfast setup, though—you get a credit to use at an adjoining restaurant, and we didn't realize the restaurant would close for a while in the morning, so we missed breakfast. There's a very large room near the lobby—a library?—which seemed like it would be a good place to have the usual Best Western breakfast offerings. Too bad—breakfast should be standard at BW, and not just in the form of a credit (which, judging from other reviews, probably wouldn't have gone far). But that probably wouldn't dissuade us from staying here again—overall, it was pretty nice, and Thousand Oaks seemed like a nice, safe area.

This hotel's rooms were clean, quiet & the hotel is centrally located. In house restaurant facilities are somewhat lacking as they are an expensive Italian venue with only limited hours of operation. They took our points without any problems as some hotels do.

Stayed here in July for a 1 night stop over. Pleasant reception and a nice, spacious and clean room. Air con very noisy which doesn't help a light sleeper but other than that a nice stay. Would return. Plenty of party and also some nice places to eat very close by.

Located just off Ventura Highway and near several restaurants and a mall, this older motel has been nicely renovated. Very comfortable and quiet. Free parking and wifi. Nice landscaping, library and office area. Restaurant on premises.

If one needs a place out of the way or near everything this may be considered somewhere in the middle and a well deserved stay. Quiet and clean it offers a great deal of those things desired in shopping and movies or cinema. Than there are the movie studios for exploring where in years past some of the most notable faces have claimed fame for themselves and now live on in our memories. Of course a drive through anyone of a number of orange or lemon groves is a most with the scents of blossoms following you. Let your imagination take you on a tripe as you stay at a Best Western.

The hotel was great! Clean rooms, friendly staff. Updated appliances and modern look. Clean pool. Only complaint is the breakfast arrangement is a joke. They give you a $7 voucher for breakfast in the restaurant next door but the food is so overpriced it hardly makes a dent. A plate of French toast is $14 and a cup of coffee is 3.50! That's the only complaint I had & the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5

Easy check-in and out. Room was clean and nice. Wished that they would of had a continental breakfast. Location worked for our needs. Sleep quality was good. Doors were noisy but the rooms were quiet. A very nice feature was having another sink outside the bathroom, making morning routines faster.

This hotel was pretty average, right off the freeway. No breakfast--they provide $7 vouchers to the attached restaurant, but my impression from the staff was it wouldn't cover the entire meal. We decided to buy breakfast on the road instead. Rooms were clean but nothing special. We had been driving all day and were thirsty, so I went to get water from the vending machines. I went to all the vending machines in the hotel and was able to find one Diet Coke--everything else was sold out. All in all, not sure I would stay here again, but like I said, the rooms were clean and it served its purpose.

From front desk to housekeeping service was exellent stay. All hotel saff very friendly. Room was nice an clean. Only 14 miles to te outlet store and 12 miles to the museum. You ont regret your say at this hotel

At $140 per night, this hotel is a glorified motel. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and courteous. However, the restaurant attached was over-priced and the food mediocre. The Inn gives you a $7 voucher per person but that is no where near enough to cover the meal. Two coffees and two egg dishes came to $17 without tip after applying the $14 vouchers. There isn't even coffee available in the hotel lobby. The air conditioning shuts off in the room at some point during the day. We returned to an 85 degree room at the end of each day of sightseeing and visiting family. While I support not using the a/c when not in the room, a timer to cool the room down later in the day would be most beneficial. We will not stay at this property again. There is not much in the area, unfortunately, so we will need to be farther away from family on our next visit. The hotel service was great, the restaurant service subpar. The rooms received an average rating because of the cost and the a/c.

Clean rooms that may be a bit dated, but that is of no consequence for the (business) intent of my stay. Stayed here before, and I will again. At the end of a LONG day of working, it's nice to have a good area to be staying in. For me, that meant a walk up to the local Whole Foods to grab a sandwich and a beer to enjoy back in the room as I wound down. And winding down included plugging my Amazon Fire Stick into the room's TV for some viewing variety (GREAT solution while on the road). Need a good Wi-Fi signal to make it work, and I'm glad this was better than the last time I stayed. Overall, a really good hotel, especially considering the price. Rooms are spacious enough, and they're VERY clean. The bed was quite comfortable, and let me get the kind of sleep I needed before another long day.

Very nicely done old property. Electric vehicle plug in stations and all. Easy check in and very convenient parking around property. Only disappointed was the breakfast experience. Considering the other breakfast offers in the vicinity, the $7 vouchers are not worth it.

Everyone is helpful and pleasant. They recognize you daily by name and reward level when you check in. I have stayed here multiple times and choose my own lodging, so I would not be here if I didn't get good value and service.

This hotel is great for the price. The rooms are large, very well kept and very comfortable. The bed and linens were great. My kids loved the indoor putting green and I loved the fact that they could be putting while I was relaxing and could watch them. Highly recommended!

This BW is located in a great area right off the highway and near lots of shopping, restaurants and places of interest. However, we had a housekeeping issue that took the from desk twice to resolve and they (housekeeping) did not seem to be totally on their game. Rooms are clean and face an open air courtyard. Breakfast is OK but you could walk to other breakfast choices from this location. You do get a voucher from BW for breakfast but it is average and a bit high priced. Easy access of highway with a nice pool. front desk staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel had nice clean rooms, bathrooms were very small, no breakfast bar but a $7 voucher for a very overpriced breakfast with a very poor selection. The lady at checkin did not have nice things to say about the restaurant. We had eaten there before when it first opened and had not been impressed. We were rushed for time and felt that a breakfast bar would be much better for our needs

Very profesional staff, with nice rooms, microwave and refrigerator, clean rooms and comfortable bed,, if you are familiar with Best Western Hotels, this one I will recommend. You can take my word, for I have been staying in hotels for the past 27 years due to my carrier.

It looks like an older Hotel from the outside and maybe not very appealing, but the rooms were very comfortable and clean. I did sleep well and got some good rest. The front desk employees were very helpful, informative and hospitable. The parking is free which is a big plus.

Overall we had a very good experience at this hotel, the staff are very kind and the hotel has been updated nicely. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The landscaping is beautiful. We recommend every aspect of this hotel EXCEPT for the breakfast, don't waste your time going to their restaurant for breakfast, even with the $7.00 coupon. We stood in the doorway on two separate mornings without being acknowledged (just stared at) for about 5 minutes, once we were seated, the waitress wiped off the paper table cloth instead of replacing it which was covered in stains and water/coffee. It took another 15 minutes to even take our order. The food was decent which helped. On the second morning I went it for just a continental breakfast to go and I was given an apple and a pre-packaged danish. The front desk said that the continental breakfast was a bagel and fruit. We were told by the restaurant staff that the front desk people don't know what they are doing. The staff was very unprofessional in the restaurant. It felt like the restaurant really doesn't want to serve breakfast but is doing it as part of a contractual obligation to the hotel for being attached to the hotel.

Very clean and comfortable room for the night. Convenient to Malibu and get for a stop over coming north out of LA on the 101. The hotel gives you a $7 voucher for breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. Skip it! Food was poor to marginal and very overpriced. $40 for two before using the vouchers. And that was just an omelet with dried out potatoes; bacon & eggs, and coffee. ($3.25 per mug...didn't even offer to warm it up until after we were done. Good hotel - Bad restaurant.

Great hotel, great service. Beds are old and lumpy and internet does not work. God location but a bit pricey for out of date beds. Camboni offers a good breakfast but it's not completely paid for with your voucher and understaffed

I stay at this hotel 3-4 nights per month for business. Overall the hotel is fine but the internet speed is so slow that I was unable to do any of my business online. A call to the front desk resulted in a promise to "inform my manager" however nothing further occurred. High speed internet is a routine expectation at any reputable hotel and the lack of it at this location will impact my future decisions as to where to stay on my business trips.

Checkin was smooth and friendly. The room was nice enough. The restaurant was woefully understaffed at breakfast. I felt sorry for the lone waiter trying to accommodate a full house. He was very good but just overwhelmed. Also, no oatmeal on the breakfast menu.

Great location for our event/tournament. Very close to restaurants mall and grocery stores. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Front desk staff was continuously presentable, accommodating, professional and nice. I only gave it a "very good" because the exterior just looks so outdated, its not inviting. But when your on the premise, its very clean. I like the court yard feel also. I'd come back.

I have stayed at this property two times within the past year, for 4 nights each. They have continued to upgrade the property since I last visited, including the common areas in the courtyard and the lobby. They keep both the rooms and the common areas meticulously clean. The pool area and hot tub are in great shape. A maintenance worker removes the lounge cushions every evening, vacuums them and then stores them. The office staff has been kind and helpful each time different ways. This past time they got me in early and upgraded my room after a minor miscommunication. The only thing I would improve would be the breakfast. The $7 credit is nice, but it cost a about 10-12 (if you tip) and it just feels weird uncomfortable in a white linen environment. I would install a Continental or full breakfast in the library area or have the restaurant do it. Otherwise and overall good facility and great staff in a great location!

The room is always clean, fully stocked and the staff is extremely helpful and always friendly. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. My grandchildren really like this hotel and feel safe and like they are at home while I work.

Hotel offers a nice $7 credit towards breakfast. Food quality was extremely poor. Got sick after eating the breakfast. Room was partially cleaned by hotel staff prior to departure and left with cleaning supplies sprayed everywhere and bed pillows and blankets on the floor. Mattress was like an accordion.

I was pleased with this motel but a bit surprised how small the room seemed. The King size bed seemed to take up most of the space. Free in room WiFi was fast enough and the room had a balcony, but no HBO Channels. I didn't end up using the pool because it was too windy but if you need towels for the pool you have to request them at the front desk.

There was no hot water on the morning of May Friday 19. They said they would give us a refund but they never did. Which the shower was the only reason we rented a room. We all wanted to shower before we left and did not get to shower

Great hotel. All the amenities one could expect plus a in house RESTURANTE. Food was fair. The room was spotless, the lobby was great along with a library room and a business room with several computers. Not cheap but you pay for what you get while on the road. Overall a AA place to stay a night or two. Close to a mall and a few good resturanres. OK now the bad. After a great night of sleep, a good cup of coffee, I was greeted with COLD water for my shower. After taking my cold shower I went to the lobby where the staff was just short of outstanding. End result was a complete refund & a customer again & again. They acted fast and firmly. I was looking for a substantial discount, but they upped the ante. Great customer relations. Great place to stay again.

Best Western Plus normally offers breakfast included in the price of the room. For this one, the breakfast offer is $7 off the price of breakfast in the attached restaurant. Most meals average twice that amount, so after tax and tip, you spend $10 to $12 for a breakfast that should be included in your stay.

I live out of town and visit my doctors in Thousand Oaks. This hotel has a special rate for medical visits. You just have to tell them up front when making the reservation. The room I had was a double queen. It was very spacious and clean and quiet. The front desk is very professional. The attached restaurant is a bit expensive. I usually go to other restaurants in the area to eat. This hotel is centrally located.

Very clean and comfortable suite but the entire hotel is very outdated and so close to the freeway that noise is an issue, so bring ear buds. Beds are good and room is very clean. Adjoining restaurant serves as the breakfast but does not open until 7 am, so go to the local bagel place if you have an early meeting. Probably would try another place first. Also, booking the day before for a one night stay was unreasonably expensive for what was purchased, close to 200$.

No breakfast. The hotel gave $7.00 voucher for the restaurant. The food was mediocre. The service was mediocre to very slow. I Wished they had free breakfast like most Best Western's. that would make this a better deal.

Property is nice, staff fair. Can't get a cup of coffee to go in the morning without going to the restaurant, waiting to be seated, waiting for a waiter, waiting for coffee to be prepared, and then settling with a hotel supplied voucher. When I get up and ready to go I expect to find coffee ready to go. Next time I will stay at a budget hotel.

This was a very good value and in close proximity to major freeway. Rooms were clean and the staff was very courteous. I would just make a point to ask for a room away from the freeway as it can be quite noisy at night.

It is a great place to relax and still be near a great multitude of place to go from cinema to theater and launch and the Blue Stove in Nordstrom to all the movie studios and their attractions. And you can drive along a winding go-cart track known as the 101 or the 405 and find a great many spots to stop and explore.

Used thousand oaks as stopping point on way to LA, hotel easy to find and plenty of parking . Room was adequate for our family of 4 and clean. We drove down at night to Malibu at night was great road down through the mountainsand location. So would stay again as nice staff

Stayed here late March 2017, decent price, clean room, a bit dated, bed was a bit hard. The toilet was at an angle in the bathroom and sat extremely low. Property sits close to Hwy 101 so could hear some noise, but not too bad. Had dinner at the Italian restaurant connected to the hotel, very good, would recommend if you don't feel like going out. Waiter and staff very nice and friendly. Disappointed that they don't have coffee in the lobby for guests, nor bottled water for reward members. Not sure we will return but for the price, not a bad place to stay if you're in a pinch.

We had a very nice welcome when we entered the foyer of the hotel. Even though we were a little early for check in the gave us a ready room and welcomed us. Explained how breakfast worked and gave us directions to the venue we were going to for a concert.

This hotel is at top of our golf group list we travel every year at this time and they make our stay a great experience Cambonni Restaurant , not part of hotel but in the hotel is a bonus we are 12 ladies and have will continue to utilize. Thank you

It was nice very pleasant. Better the breakfast. Staff was very helpful we forgot toothbrush and they were able to give us one. Beds were comfortable. Lots of places to eat near by. Will stay again. Soccer fields were close by very easy to get to.

We stayed at this property one night. The room was spacious & clean & the bed was comfortable. It was a bit noisy in the morning. It sounded like the people above us were stomping around. We called the front desk to request an extra blanket & no one came, so we had to call back a second time. Then it was brought immediately. Overall a good value & nice room. We would stay here again.

Though characterized as BW PLUS, this facility is definitely not PLUS in any way, though the staff was cordial, friendly and helpful. The physical facility is more like a Motel 6 or Super 8. The bathroom is small without any counter space, the amenities are low quality, the pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable. It is relatively clean, but the room is cramped.

we came for the medieval faire at simi valley, this was the nearest motel,. it was a brilliant find. the staff couldn't have been more helpful ,especially Tyler on reception, the room was large and clean, having all the extras ,fridge hair dryer ect. the location which was very close to the freeway ,which could only be heard from the outside ,there was a nice swimming pool and areas to relax outside. it was near a nice selection of shops. the hotel had an Italian restaurant as part of it, the food was very good but not cheap, the breakfast which included a 7 dollar voucher, from reception was good, overall excellent . when we return to this area we will stay here again

This hotel is centrally located with access to many different vacation activites and also close to many local companies. Food, shopping and entertainment is very close by. Close to hiking trails and golf courses if you are an active person.

The location of this hotel can't be beat - so close to freeway, access roads, and great shopping. Just down the road from Westlake Village - The beds were quite comfortable THE TOWELS WERE GREAT! The pillows were great - these are three important items for me. Also very clean, and updated DO NOT MISS THE ATTACHED ITALIAN RESTAURANT I know, I know we always think we will be stuck with mediocre. Not the case here! What a great surprise- don't miss the pasta carbonara, the egg was perfect!!! The owner was delightful, as well as our wait staff. They also serve breakfast in the same space - don't let that deter you. Morning staff was delightful.

This Best Western had a very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. There was a $7 per person voucher for breakfast at the attached restaurant, which was enough to make it reasonable to eat there. Their food was good, but they did not have orange juice, which seemed funny for California. We appreciated that they had laundry facility on site, which came in handy. This location was especially convenient for visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

You should change the advertising on the Suite: Something like "2 room 1 bed Sutie" or"1 bedroom w pullout suite". The staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant was good, but the $7.00 voucher, it not enough. Breakfast was very expensive. Also, pool is only open till 10 pm, for a weekend that is not long enough.

This was a very quick overnight visit, and I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks. This is an older hotel, but they have done a great job. The rooms are large, and very clean. The bathroom has been recently renovated and is quite nice. The exterior of the hotel is a bit more dated than the rooms. Front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is great - right off the freeway, and within walking distance of a couple cafes and restaurants. I sometimes stay in some older hotels. They should all take note from this one - BW in Thousand Oaks has done a really good job in providing a comfortable, clean stay. I will definitely return.

I've been quite impressed with what Best Western has done to their hotels recently. I've stayed with them in different locations in California, and as far as in the United Kingdom. Based on my experiences, they'll be my first choice in places I visit, for both business and pleasure. BUT, the Thousand Oaks hotel really needs to fix their in-room WiFi service. It was weak and unsecured, and really could not be used. Glad I didn't need to get any work done at night. For the limited access I needed, I was happy to have a hot-spot on my mobile.

Our room was on the ground floor and very quiet. It is an older hotel but with some updates. Reception staff very courteous. We stayed two nights and it was probably three quarters full. Would stay here again.

Patience and perseverance are both needed in life with a place to sit back and not worry about taking care of anything and just relax in the joy of writing. The staff is great and caring the food around the area and the hotel is great and there is a large mall to shop or the cinema and theater or local music etc...

It's a best western, so I guess I shouldn't have expected too much. I tried to use a travel gift card, was told it would be taken care of by the clerk who checked me in. But he passed the buck to the the morning clerk, who had a deer in the headlights look. She said she would contact me after the gift card had been applied. I have yet to hear back. The room was okay. The bed was very lumpy, pillows too soft.

Updated room with open air courtyard access gives it a nice feeling. It's in a good location near the freeway and conveniences. While it''s an older property, the updates have been for the right items - in room fridge is nice.

Overall not bad but several things irritated me. Very strict with check in time. I was only seven minutes early but had to wait around until 3 to check in. Others were there first so I had to wait in line. Breakfast not included but you get a discount voucher at the overpriced restaurant. The voucher just brings the price down to normal. The luggage carts are kept behind the front desk, which is not near the rooms or parking. You have to wait until someone is free to get you the cart.

This is an aging property that has long passed its prime and despite what appears to been an attempt to refresh it, it still looks very tired. I would look at other properties in the neighborhood. If you must stay here, choose a lower floor which is somewhat buffered from the freeway noise. Best Western should not allow this hotel to be part of their PLUS collection.

The hotel was good but the restaurant was disappointing jn quality (extremely hard bread ) and was expensive-charged $4.00 extra for splitting a dinner. I will never go back to this restaurant. Another guest warned us not to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

My family stayed at this Best Western Plus for 4 nights. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The only negative, which was minor, was the location of the toilet. It was very low to the ground, angled in a corner and so far under the bathroom counter you could not put the lid up all the way. The pool area was lovely. Even though it was near a freeway, it was so peaceful there- plenty of seating and beautiful, lush landscaping made the setting tranquil. There is a nice library off of the lobby which offers plenty of books and magazines for everyone to enjoy. We dined at Camboni's, the Italian restaurant on the property, our first night. Andre, our server, was a pleasure and we enjoyed a fantastic meal. This hotel is in a great location- plenty of food choices and shopping close by. Besides Camboni's, we recommend checking out Pieology, where you can design your own pizza. We visited The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, hiked Solstice Canyon, and spent a day at Zuma Beach- all are not far drives from this hotel. We would definitely stay at this BWP Thousand Oaks Inn again. Thank you.

Location,price,and staff all made for a pleasant experience. Because I booked for 3 separate dates rather than all at once, Amy did an amazing job ofor streamlining everything for me. She was so pleasant, a true asset to the hotel.

This was probably one of the largest Best Western rooms I've stayed in. Very well kept and loaded with in room amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee pot). The staff was great and let me check in early. Overall a great stay and value.

We were here 3 nights. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Was a good value for the money for this area and that's why I chose it. Not sure I would stay again since it was a little further out from where I needed to be.

I was greeted on arrival, they had all my details & a room was already allocated. The staff were friendly & informative. My room faced the freeway but I was given a room on a lower level so I wouldn't hear the traffic noise. The room was spacious & clean, there was a work bench with chairs & a lounge chair. The bathroom was clean & spacious. The bed was comfortable & freshly made. There was adequate parking & it is a safe neighbourhood. They have Wi-Fi which was free & of good strength. I didn't have any issues with noise. There are numerous eateries in the vicinity. I have stayed here several times in the past & always enjoy the iced water with orange slices in the foyer. I will certainly stay here again

This property is centrally located,kept very clean,staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was excellent. Very affordable. I am not a big fan of best western properties but this one surprised. We will stay again when in the area.

This hotel is a place of comfort for myself day or night. It is an excellent place to be just far enough away from many tantalizing places of interest north south of east. From art exhibits to hollywood and all it offers the soul. Numerous eateries of food from so many differing cuisines, than its off the the theater or a cinema of your choice. Enjoy

Would highly recommend this location. Easy on/off 101, clean rooms, great pm front desk staff, and did not mind using the local restaurant for our breakfast. Only issue was some roadside workers spent the night on my last night and were very loud until after 11pm.

Very kind staff at a newly renovated hotel. Recommend you book your travel here as close to mall, restaurants and more. Nice pool to relax by as well! This is also a great location for large parties. You can coordinate with their reservation team to set up the perfect hotel for your group.

As most people know, Best Western's are usually pretty dumpy. This one is calling itself a Best Western PLUS. I'd call it a Best Western C PLUS. A little bit of a step up from a regular BW, but not by far, Hotel is fairly old. The hotel is 4 floors in a square with a very depressing center courtyard with a few pieces of metal furniture. Mostly concrete with a tiny bit of greenery. Mostly what you see are all the doors to the rooms and you hear the housekeepers talking very loud to each other (in Spanish) across the courtyard. I was here two nights and never saw anyone using it. Rooms are updated and clean. Large TV with many HD channels. DVD player with free DVD rentals in lobby. Free use of Gold's Gym in mall next door. Room has fridge, microwave and typical cheap crappy coffee maker with powdered creamer, etc. A/C was your standard loud wall unit. I turned it off when I arrived and the room never got warmer than about 74, so it worked out fine. But I was on the freeway side (VERY close to freeway) and it is noticeable, but not the end of the world. One of the biggest negatives for me were the very uncomfortable and scratchy sheets on the bed. I don't know if its the detergent or just the quality of the sheets, but they were like sleeping on sandpaper. Wifi was a decent 4Mbps, but somewhat erratic. Was able to stream a little, but signal would occasionaly fade out completely and even low quality YouTube videos had to constantly buffer. So better than many hotels, but definitely not too doable for business or streaming use. Everything went fine and I could deal with everything ok, but the sheet situation was the only thing that would probably prevent me from staying here again.

This is an old motel in a very convenient location for the West Los Angeles area. they are repainting and fixing up, but the facilities are very good right now and there are many fine features. Breakfast arrangements, however, are terrible. A voucher for $7 is offered for a restaurant on the property - but all things on the menu cost far more than that - and the place does not open until 7, too late for most travelers. they should provide a simple breakfast or none, with room rates adjusted.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were impeccable and the bed was very comfy. As for breakfast, my husband and I prefer the "continental breakfast rooms" over the restaurants but the voucher took the "ouch" out of having to pay extra for breakfast. The restaurant was very clean, the wait staff was very attentive, friendlily and helpful and the food was cooked to our satisfaction. Looking forward to staying again. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Overall very good experience , great location , close to just about everywhere in the Ventura county/ San Fernando region . It is safe, clean , and quiet. The pool and spa were a bonus . There is an attached Italian restaurant , and bar . Will return again , for sure

Everything was right and no problems except the breakfast was a tad odd. You get a $7 voucher from reception which you can trade against what you order from an a la carte menu which is fine but there are no cereals, fruit or yoghurt on offer which are normal for breakfast

Good price for the accomodations and amenities. Door did not open with card key issued so we had to stand outside the room while one of us had to go back to the front desk to get another set of card keys but none worked. So the maintenance person had to open and fix the door lock mechanism.

it is a good place well located, price accordingly and a very good service the reception is very well and the service at the restaurant is very good, they give you a bonus for the breakfast for use 7.00 each as a discount, the hotel is well located close to the 101 fw and the mall and the neighborhood is very nice.

I have stayed at several properties within the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village areas, and this property rates toward the bottom of my experiences. At this property the room rates were not competitive, especially given that here we had to pay for our breakfast ($7.00 voucher given, but hardly worth it), whereas in competitive properties breakfast is included in the room rate. The rooms were adequate, and the air conditioning could have been more effective.

Summary: This hotel pleasantly surprised me. It is quite nice, particularly considering the reasonable rate they charge compared to nearby competition. The facility is nice with lovely features such as an impressively maintained courtyard replete with gazebo and brick patio. The rooms are suited for their purpose, the staff are pleasant and the morning breakfast option is rather good. The room rates are strongly competitive given the area and the quality of the accommodations. Details: My colleague and I were in Thousand Oaks on business and needed a hotel. The establishments in the area were quite expensive. This one seemed to be the nicest set of accommodations for the price charged. The location of this establishment was quite convenient off US101. We found it without any problems. The exterior appearance was nice enough. There was a common use area that included the lobby at the front of the structure. The lobby was partially under construction when we were there but it was still clear that, while not elegant, it was nice enough. There was an adjacent sitting area/reading room that was pleasant and added some homey comfort. The conference area was just beyond the lobby and this made a rather positive impression. The decor for the latter was lovely and bordered on vintage in design. The rooms were behind the conference area. The accommodations were arranged in a stucco building around a rather impressive open-air courtyard. The gazebo and patio were nice touches as they provided a relaxing place to lounge in the California fresh air. The front desk agent who was working when we checked in was quite congenial. I found the staff in general to be very pleasant to deal with. She assigned me a room on the fourth level which worked well for me. Upon entering my room, I found it to be spacious and clean with decent decor. The work area was adequate in size and arrangement. The WiFi functioned well while I was there allowing me to get work done. The bathroom was sufficient in size facilitating reasonable maneuverability. The fixtures presented no problems and the water in the shower came to temperature relatively quickly. The bed was comfortable and the environs were quiet allowing me to get good sleep. The view from the room was unfortunately nothing special. The breakfast option at the attached restaurant was convenient and relatively good. It was a menu-based service which is noteworthy if one is in a hurry in the morning. But the choices were sufficiently varied, the quality was decent and the service was efficient. There was a discount offered for hotel guests (using a coupon obtained upon checking in). The prices were not unreasonable. The room rates were not at all bad for the quality of the accommodations. Our per night charge was about $126. With taxes added in, the final per diem fare was about $141. I was rather happy with this value. Overall, this is a good hotel for the money. The facility is nice and the location is quite convenient if you have business in the area. The rooms are functional and adequately pleasant, the staff are congenial and the breakfast option works well. The room rates make it a very good value. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment if you need a place to stay in Thousand Oaks.

Visited California Lutheran University for a summer camp my daughter had there and had to stay overnight. Had a great stay here, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and we had a very quiet stay. If ever in the area again would definitely stay there again.

For the average visitor to Los Angeles, there is no reason to choose to stay in Thousand Oaks - it is far away from all major "sights". But let's assume that you want to stay in Thousand Oaks for some reason - then this hotel is quite all right. It is clean and safe, it is within walking distance of several restaurants, cafes etc (and even large shopping centres). And it has a small but pleasant swimming pool.

We frequently stay at BW Plus in our travels. This was a short notice stay and we are glad we did! We require a handicapped room and we were most pleasantly surprised. Very pleasant stay with a tasty Italian restaurant adjacent. All the staff were very helpful. The only negative for us was the long distance to a handicapped room from Both the lobby or the parking lot. The rooms are outstanding.

Issues with front desk checking in and out. Was charged more than my reservation price, but was quickly reimbursed. The hotel and rooms were nice and located near just about everything. Support staff was nice. Breakfast was cold and service slow. Pool was very nice.

Having stayed at this hotel in the past, we noted that it was a bit run down and old-fashioned. Was very pleased with this visit two years later, as the whole hotel has been updated with modern furnishings, updated décor, beautiful bathrooms and clean, modern carpet and bed linens. The staff was kind, helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable. Bring your own breakfast though...even with $7.00 credit per person, prices in the restaurant (not owned by Best Western) were exorbitant.

Great location and close to Oaks Mall, Cal Luthern Univ, and restaurants. Pool was relaxing. Restaurant within hotel had a gourmet type of breakfast. Room was overall clean as well as lobby and conference rooms. Right next to main freeway Hwy 101.

Very nice hotel, clean, quiet, large rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows. The location is convenient from the highway, it was about an hour from things downtown LA/Hollywood, Santa Barbara, and other beaches.

A large group of us stayed at this hotel for a nearby wedding recently. The rooms are large and comfortable and the counter staff were friendly and helpful. But there were quirks at this hotel... First, the attached restaurant (not owned by the Best Western) was awful. Poor service, unfriendly staff, and mediocre food for upscale prices. Simply avoid the restaurant. There are others nearby. Another quirk was the WIFI. I don't know why, but we had to log into WIFI sometimes three times each day. Not a huge deal, but it shouldn't be so complicated; It's just WIFI. We all noted that our rooms were cleaned to varying degrees - sometimes the garbage wasn't removed. Sometimes no towels. Again, not a huge deal, just inconsistent and noticeable. If the hotel were less expensive I'd give it four stars. For what we paid, they get three. It's average.

Nice quiet place, plenty of shopping around. Easy access to the 101 high way, they are painting and remodeling. Felt safe, will stay again if around that area again. Pool looked good, my kids loved it.

The hotel is next to the 101 freeway and the road noise is unreal. We couldn't sleep all night. A neighbor in the room next to us said they kept the AC fan on all night to help out. The price was out of sight since we went through Booking.com. They add money to the bill and said that the most expense was the only one available. When we arrived at the hotel they said lower priced ones were available, but we already paid and could not receive a refund. Also, they advertised the room as a deluxe King when the room was the same size as all the other rooms. They also advertised on office in the room when it was an extra table under the desk that pulls out. What a joke.

Good for an overnight stay. Don't understand why this is plus property. Remodeling and painting even on Saturday. The pool was supposed to be closed at 10:00pm but RAP music and load noise did not stop at 10:00 am. Kids running up and down the hallways.

Great location - walking distance to breakfast and coffee & both local malls. Are going through some renovation on the guest room area - so that part was a bit of an eyesore - but the rest of the hotel is very nice.

Clean room with plenty of space for two of us. The hotel restaurant closed early without any notice so we were unable to eat there, however we found plenty of other options within a 2 min driving distance. Easy to find and get to from the 101. Would stay again.

We came there for a All Star Tournament, We had 15 rooms and no one had a problem with anything. the Staff was great with everyone. Very patient, considering how many kids were in the pool and in the hotel. Thank you again for a great stay

I stay at this hotel about once-twice a year to check in on an elderly parent. The trip can be a bit stressful. I have always enjoyed the Best Western but during my last trip my stay was even better than past years. I had given feedback on how the bulbs in the room were very cold/white light and this time they had been replaced with LEDs - the atmosphere after a long day was very welcoming. The other great improvement they had made was establishing complimentary membership with Golds Gym at the Janss Marketplace. Gold's Gym is fantastic and I so appreciated being able to workout in such a wonderful facility. It is a 7-minute walk from the hotel. Lots of improvements/ painting/ repairing were happening around the hotel so I'm excited to see how everything turns out in my next visit. Most of all the staff there is terrific. This definitely becomes a home-away-from-home when I visit Thousand Oaks.

This was a nice enough hotel. The staff was friendly and the place was clean, but we arrived to construction that lasted throughout our stay. It made the entire courtyard that we were looking forward to spending time in unusable. It also made our mornings very loud. A heads up from the hotel ahead of time would have been appreciated.

I was a bit apprehensive with all the reviews about the construction noise and freeway noise. Since we were concerned about the freeway noise some have mentioned in these reviews they put us in a room facing away from the freeway. There was no construction going on until Monday not until 10:00 am and it was not constant. Checkout is at 12:00 so this is not unreasonable. We stayed for two nights . Beds, pillows and bedding were very comfortable and just right. We liked having a microwave as well as a fridge which was a plus. It is within walking distance of a major shopping center and in the other direction there are lots more stores to shop in and also close to the Janss Market place. You can drive or take the short walk to all of these. It was very quiet over the week-end. . We had a room inside of the courtyard.This is an upscale Best Western. The front desk was also accommodating. We would stay here again without any hesitation. We thought this was a bit pricey though, but we did stay on a Saturday and Sunday. They do not offer any breakfast but will give you a $7.00 coupon for the restaurant next door toward your breakfast if you want. This did not bother us at all cause we usually bring out own cereal and fruit for breakfast. They have apples at the front desk which was nice. They do provide coffee and tea in the room with a coffee machine. The normal amenities are provided such as soap, shampoo, lotion, etc. We will stay here again. There is also a pool and a spa. There is a washing machine and dryer which you can use at any time. We will stay here again.

I was there for the night on a business trip- the room was quiet and clean. it was an in and out trip so it was perfect for business - free parking, free wifi, free breakfast, quiet and clean with no hidden hotel gouge fees so I was pleased. Its tucked back in a shopping mall sort of area so its quiet i.e. not right by an expressway -freeway or such. so its nice and quiet. When in the area I would stay again

Great service (front desk picked up right away when I called to ask question before arriving, and checkin service was great), comfortable bed (albeit not super-fancy or new), iron + full-size ironing board, spacious room w/ mini fridge and coffee maker w/ ceramic cups, and nice surprise of a sliding-door walkout area. My only "meh" takeaway was that the room (and building's) decor is about due for updates, but my stay was comfortable, quiet, and very good for a business trip.

As far as three start hotels we have stayed at this one just fell short, the beds were not pillow top. the microwave did not work, the elevator was so slow we used the stairs all the time. we had our parents who have had knee replacements and they wanted to use the stairs! The free breakfast was a $7 voucher for the attached restaurant, and the coffee from that restaurant was $3.50 each. Did not make much sense to buy coffee there with a Starbucks one block away. Which we choose instead. Then the noise from the freeway, facing east the windows did not have any sound dampening quality to them, and music was not enough to dull the roar from the passing cars.

This Hotel, the staff and the accomodations 5 star. No hesitation for a single woman or a group your family will be very pleased. We were a group of 17 and it was a smooth check in and the staff very professional

Our room was just right for a one night stay. We were able to check in early with possible upgrades. They were able to accommodate us in two rooms nearby on first floor (we were traveling with my mother). Only drawback was the restaurant on site runs independently from the Inn. It's bar was not open on a Friday night and the breakfast service was ill-staffed. It was college graduation morning on a Saturday and only one waiter to serve several people. food was okay but no time to order more than a simple meal. There must have been only one cook. then we had to wait for the bill. Tempting to just walk out.

The wifi connection was very poor in Room 114, not usable with an iPad. The air conditioner was too loud to use while sleeping. I'd much rather have a modest self-serve buffet breakfast than the $7 voucher arrangement, especially when you want to get on the road early. Nice beds, shower, TV, etc. Ditto on the in-room coffee maker.

This past week we spent 3 nights here and quite enjoyed it. We were upgraded to a suite and it was quite spacious, nicely furnished with a good bed, very quiet and spotless. Location is good and staff pleasant. There was plenty of parking available. Breakfast is available at the motel's restaurant with a voucher issued guests that covers about half the cost. We thought the menu quite good as was the food; service was pleasant, efficient and excellent. Would stay again.

Friendly enough. Beds were okay. I never know what to say about BW breakfasts. But this one was different. We received $7 vouchers for the attached restaurant. It was okay I guess. Coffee wasn't great or hot. But it was served with a smile. The food was just okay, which made the price we paid in addition to the vouchers not worth it. I do wish the WIFI was a SECURE connection, rather than an open one. I really feel the rooms should have at least a little 3-4 cup coffee pot, so I wouldn't have to bring one. Those single cup hot pots are near useless. Over all, we slept okay. It was a one night stand.

The Best Western isn't a fancy hotel but it checks all the boxes for what a traveler needs. The room was fine. It was clean and the service was friendly and helpful. You get a $7 coupon for breakfast to the Camboni restaurant right off the lobby. The food was good but the $7 doesn't cover a typical "American Breakfast". Parking was free, wifi was free. No complaints. It is located near other good restaurants. I'd stay there again.

Don't eat breakfast in the "attached restaurant" go elsewhere! It smells bad, tastes awful. HORRIBLE! If we didn't get the food vouchers it would have been a $40 bfast for 3 meals. Our kids split a plate and water (no juice to save $$$) and the service is unfriendly and WAY understaffed. Had to spend $10 of our own money on garbage. Less then $30 at Dennys for 4 meals and juice and friendly service, and sadly better food than this place. While this is a personal preference, the bed was stiff and we woke up in pain. Certainly not comfortable when you are already out of your element. I do realize this is a motel turned into a hotel and I am not paying top dollar, but after staying at the Simi valley BW with scrumptious complimentary full breakfast, and more comfortable beds I wouldn't give this place my money again. Neither BW we stayed at has dual pane windows, but T.O Is right next to the freeway and mall so only consider if you don't mind the traffic noise. (They told me on the phone they had dual pane windows) Not a deal breaker for us, just not as quiet as would have liked. We did get a spacious room and the cleaning staff was friendly as was the front desk staff. But as far as comfort and breakfast this place just didn't hit the mark....for our family anyways. For a recently "renovated" hotel I definitely expected more.

We're used to wine receptions in the evening and breakfast served in the morning, and bottles of water handed to us upon arrival -- we got no wine reception, breakfast vouchers for attached restaurant (which barely cover 1/2 the bill, plus you need to add the tip), and were told water bottles were sold in vending machines. They did have a nice fruit infused water which we enjoyed. :)

Older facility. Small lobby and amenities. They make you request for a $7 meal voucher every morning to use in the adjoining Italian restaurant that serves a limited traditional breakfast menu. The room was ok, but the sheets were kinda hard. HVAC unit is controlled by wall Thermostat but only controlled a noisy wall unit.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Their pillows are so soft and fluffy! They provide breakfast vouchers and the pool and hot tub were the perfect way to end our trip. Will definitely be coming back to this hotel.

Good, clean room; tidy hotel, efficient staff. Hotel is right by the mall and freeway, tons of restaurants and shopping, central to TO. Good amenities. We did not eat breakfast in the restaurant, but it was a good option.

My company and staff always enjoy our stay at this hotel. I had a minor issue at the front desk, but, because of their professionalism and attention to making my stay an enjoyable one, the issue was resolved in a heart beat. Mr. Wang and Mr. Slama were very helpful and friendly. They exemplify how a great hotel should operate with the focus on excellent customer service. My staff and I look forward to many more stays at this fine hotel.

Bumpy start at check-in with inattentive clerk who was also snarky. All other desk staff were extremely professional during our stay. Our room was a little cramped and the bathroom was small, but everything was clean. They advertise a "heated pool", but it was NOT and the hot tub was warm but not hot and the jets were weak. We were disappointed by this. Breakfast in the attached restaurant is good but overpriced even with the $7 coupon from the desk.

I stayed there for a total of six month and I had a great stay. Being away from my family gets very lonely at times. It's always good when you go down to the front desk to get an extra coffee or just to say hello you always get a happy face with a big smile and always want to make your stay a pleasant one. Being that I've stayed there so long I got know the staff that works here and my thanks for such a pleasant stay go out to Bug Guy "Robert", Sara, Kasha who doesn't work there anymore and New Guy "Sam I Am". I can't forget about the GM there I don't remember her name and I apologize to her for that, but that's good thing too. Because, that means during my stay I never had to to complain about anything so I really never had to see her about anything bad other than to say good morning or hello in passing. Great Staff!!!

It's perfectly located to California Lutheran University and the Reagan Library not to mention a short drive to the Pacific Ocean as well as Santa Barbara. There is a beautiful botanical garden nearby as well as shopping malls galore. And breakfast is included.

We stayed here overnight to attend a play at the Theater in Thousand Oaks. This Best Western was about 2 miles from the Theater. It was also near the nice Oaks shopping mall and many really nice dining options. I recommend it highly.

I travel extensively and stay almost exclusively at Best Westerns. This location really isn't located in the most ideal city for me (based on my travel schedule) but I will make a point to stay here now whenever possible. Easy to find, GREAT parking, very pleasant and professional staff, restaurant on-site and some nearby. After 3 separate stays in as many months I'm finding the rooms to be very quiet, clean, and everything working properly. Great WiFi signal too. My only negative is they do not have coffee in the morning in the lobby. The packaged coffee in the room is pretty good, just remember to bring bottled water so you don't have to use the tap water.

Very happy and satisfied with my overall stays at this hotel. The front office staff are friendly and accommodating. My room was very spacious, almost felt like an apartment. We ordered breakfast at the Camboni Restaurant and the food was, to our surprised, really good.. especially the pancake!

Last week, I had major dental surgery and was required by my dentist to stay 3 miles from the dental office. Rooms were available at the Best Western Plus so I booked a room. From start to finish, it was a pleasant, relaxing experience. I made the reservation online with Hotels.com and that was smooth and easy. When I checked in, Sarah was at the front desk and she couldn't have been more polite, efficient, patient and friendly. My friend, who was with me because I had been under anesthesia, and I went to the room. Nice room: clean, cozy, well kept, nice tv and cute individual coffee maker with coffee and condiments provided. Bathroom was nice: shower was comfortable and clean, plenty of towels, hairdryer, Kleenex. There were actually 2 sinks in my room, which was a 2 Queen Deluxe, which made it easy for 2 people to get ready in the morning. Plenty of channels on the tv including HBO and HGTV which I love. Then we went to the pool and Jacuzzi - both were clean and lovely. The hotel also has a nice, cozy small lounge with several computers, a massage chair, couches and a fireplace. My friend worked on one of the computers for a couple of hours and was very appreciative of that. Then we went to dinner at the attached restaurant Camboni's. I had the best pasta dish EVER: Pappardelle Alla Carbonara (but I requested Angel Hair noodles instead). Nice, friendly, accommodating service. Worth the price. When I went to bed, the bed was cozy; just wish the pillows were bigger. There was some freeway noise but it didn't really bother me and I brought ear plugs as backup and that worked great. In the morning, we got our $7 breakfast vouchers. Breakfast was similar to what you would expect at most hotels. Check out was smooth with no line. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to! The stay at this hotel was great and met all of our needs. The check in staff was excellent and were able to give us a room even though we were checking in quite early. The lobby area was very nice, the room was nice and clean and checking out was very easy. The hotel is located quite close to the freeway so made it nice to find and get back on the freeway the next day. I would definitely stay here again.

We are so impressed with the service and the cleanliness of this hotel. Everyone was so helpful and the rooms, and hallways and grounds are immaculate. Felix is well liked by his employees and it reflects in a happy, peaceful environment. If you are going to the Reagan Library, it is just a few miles up the freeway north, There is a very good breakfast on property,& we will look forward to staying here again. As a travel agent, I am very picky, and I loved this hotel.

We have enjoyed staying at this Best Western Plus every time we visit our daughter and son-in-law! It has always exceeded our expectations. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have great amenities! Quiet location makes for a great nights rest! The location is close to freeways, shopping and restaurants! Will always stay here when we visit California!

First, I arrived in the evening and did not feel safe. Not all parking is well lit and I was on the back side of the property. The room was musty smelling and old, the mattress is like sitting on cardboard. I don't know why others rated this hotel so highly - perhaps they are looking for inexpensive motel-type accommodations for vacation. The room seems clean, but it is old worn smells...old. Oh, and awesome, I just found out the remote doesn't work. I only stayed here because literally everything else was sold out. EVERYTHING. To add insult to injury, I paid extra for a room type with a king bed and guess what? two queens. I will never stay here again, I'm checking out early and moving somewhere further away that will hopefully be safer and less smelly.

this was a convenient location and decent cost for us while in the area. The cleanliness and service was ok, nothing to brag about. It seems as though they are stuck in the 90's- def recommend some renovations. Pictures should on their website are professional.

We had requested a non-smoking, ground-level, room, and the request was satisfied, even though we arrived later than expected. The room was nicely appointed, and was quickly warmed, after determining that the heater was off. After a long drive, it was a good idea to use "the facilities", but, upon depressing the flush handle, we were disappointed. I called the desk, and they immediately sent a maintenance person, who fixed the problem. The bed was one of the more comfortable ones that I have used. The better surprise were the pillows; most hotels use soft, squishey, pillows, but these had sufficient support, so that I didn't feel like I was being suffocated. Also, we used the wifi, and according to my testing, the download speeds averaged around 3.8 Mbps, quite sufficient to my needs.

Hotel was excellent but the designer of the new commodes does not understand hydraulics--the water tank must be above the commode-not at same level for a proper flush.. Ours continued stopping up--had to use the public toilet where the water tank is above the commode for a proper flush

I will never ever stay here again! At 11:15 pm, I flushed the toilet before even using it for the first time upon checking in and it almost overflowed. I called the front desk to report it and spoke with SAM. He said maintenance is gone so he will make a note of it. I asked to be transferred to a different room. He said he had to put me on hold because he had 5 people standing in front of him. I waited on hold for 15 minutes before deciding to go to the front desk. There were 2 workers there, including Sam. He wasn't helping anyone and he said he was just calling me back. I don't believe him. He said he was giving me the last room as if he was doing me a favor. I don't appreciate his condescending attitude either. He asked me how long it will take me to get my stuff out of the room I will be vacating because he can't have two keys for two rooms floating around. At that point I was just getting upset because instead of getting an apology I have to listen to him ask me stupid questions. His co-worker was no help; she looked at me and sort of rolled her eyes. She looked so unkept and unprofessional...like she just rolled out of bed! I have stayed here several times but because of this terrible experience I would be taking my business somewhere else!

For a room in the $100/night range it was excellent. Room was nicely decorated and had all necessary amenities for a 1 night stay. It's right near the freeway but no problem on the noise, it's a great spot for a family stay or a getaway when you're not wanting a full resort experience with the attendant high prices.

We travel a lot for business. We encounter all types of service. From the time we walked through the door to the morning we checked out, we felt like they wanted us to stay; we were welcomed with a smile, care and concern... as well as invited to please come back at check out. They were what customer service should be.

Overall very pleased.Room very quiet even on freeway side. Outside of hotel quite noisy, however. Pool and spa used and temperatures were great. Prices significantly less than Hampton Inn for just about the same benefits. Would have liked to have the free breakfast and/or dinner happy hour. The breakfast voucher is an excellent idea.

I stay here at the Thousand Oaks Inn about once a month and I like it quite a bit. It is a hotel/motel style layout with a large central court and the rooms exiting to the inner (outdoor) courtyard. Clean rooms and an excellent staff at a reasonable price make this my go-to place.

Don't expect a good breakfast. It was the worst ever. Cost an additional $16.00 after using the 2 $7.00 vouchers provided by the hotel. That was for 2 eggs, fried potatoes and juice. The grab and go was one muffin and a old apple for the $ 7 voucher. Eat somewhere else.

Stayed for one night for my wifes birthday. Went to dinner and Christmas concert. Came back to room late. I stripped the bed to make sure it was clean after seeing a Q-tip along the side of the bed. The bed was lumpy and when we sat on the couch it squeeked every time we moved. Unbelievable!!! I have used this chain of hotels regulary for the last few years. But this one in Thousand Oaks CA is very bad. I reported it to the front desk with no recourse.

A bit daggy on the exterior (1970's atrium style motel), but once in the rooms you'd never know it. Our room was modern & v comfy, the beds were very comfy, the sheets satin striped cotton & there were ample pillows. There was a big flag screen tv with loads of channels, a fridge & iron. The bathroom was modern and well equipped, although the water pressure was a little low (those with long or very thick hair will understand the significance of that!). The staff are friendly and helpful and you can use the computers & printer in the lobby for free. We would definitely stay there again, especially if the room rate remains so reasonable.

Its a Best Western at it's almost best. A Grand Ol Dame of a property working around the clock succesfully maintaining her glamore, though she could use a few modern updates in room fixtures for the current state of technology. Most of us haave a need for USB ports, and a 'power conex' on the desk would be a boon. Other than that it works.

This hotel always has excellent front desk service. Great amenity to have a voucher for breakfast. It is situated off the freeway and accessible to restaurants. Do not get room facing freeway; sounds from freeway all nite. Best value for the money.

I have stayed here several times while on business. The rooms are nicely appointed and up to date. I like a firm bed and so far I haven't been disappointed. I like the layout of this Inn, with balconies and open atrium in the center. The restaurant attached to the Inn, called Carboni was the only drawback, everything tasted the same with no flavor. Only ate there once, service was okay, never went back to that restaurant. The staff is always friendly.

Staff seemed good, nice location, lots of shops and chain restaurants a 5-10 minute walk or a 2-3 minute drive away. Great place to stop over. Only issue was when the room next door showered, the water pipes were extremely loud in our room. We were on the ground floor. I would however stay again

I stayed one night and found the following problems. First, there is no coffee in the lobby and the breakfast wasn't available until 7am. I had to drive to a local coffee place and then go back to my room. Not acceptable. The bathroom fan runs on a timer and the room occupant has no control over it. The shower head was okay but the water pressure was very strong and again, no way to control it. The front door of the room leaked cold air and was in need of weather stripping. This is an older hotel and needs work. This is not one of the better Best Westerns that I've stayed in.

I have stayed as the Best Western Thousand Oaks Inn several times and I find it a perfectly nice place to stay. VERY helpful and friendly staff. Decent room for the money and clean. It is a hotel/motel type layout with an interior courtyard with some palm trees and a gazebo. Location is perfect for me as it is close to work, mall and highway.

Best Western Thousand Oaks, CA is a nice places to stay when I'm in the area on business. They see to your every need and the hotel was recently renovated. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful seeing your stay meets your needs and expectations. Rooms are accommodating and the internet is good-providing a business link for emails.

Where to start check in process was ok. This place should be ranked zero! Suzanne or whatever your name is. Don't be rude when answering the phone! If you don't know how to be in a hospitality position you should leave! Customer service is key not ignoring people and being on your phone!! Get more intelligent people! Every time I come here Kasia is amazing!!! Keep her she actually knows what she is doing. The best one there! Get better management cause Suzanne has no class!

Check-in was easy and efficient, bed was comfortable, bathroom bigger than I normally see, pool was nice especially at the end of the day, patio just outside our door ( with a gazebo, lawn chairs/ tables, lighting) nice to relax in, for breakfast we were given $7vouchers to connecting restaurant, room cleaned everyday before we headed back, one of nicer hotel I've been to, shopping mall nearby. Amenities: Flat screen Tv, microwave, small fridge, free pool towels, DVD player, free parking & WiFi, outdoor pool & jacuzzi, library sitting room (massage chair $), ice/ bucket, free shampoo/ conditioner,

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times before but this time we were disappointed with our experience. The room was not very clean, the AC went on and off all night and it is only 5 feet away from the bed. The value was good but I am not sure we will return. I would rather have a good night's sleep and pay a little more.

We try and stay here when we are in town. The service is excellent every time and that was no exception this time. The staff went over and above to make our stay comfortable and convenient and even when we extended our stay they accommodated us. The room is very quiet and comfortable and plenty of room.

Hotel is nice and clean and quiet. Breakfast at restaurant is ok, limited selection on the high side for price. Staff is always cleaning and easy to find if you have a need. There are restaurants, stores close by and easy freeway access

We enjoyed a two night stay at the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn. We had a very comfortable king size room with sleeper couch. The hotel is in a very god location for Thousand Oaks. Its right next door to The Oaks Shopping Center with shopping, movies, cafes and restaurants. Its also easy access to the 101 Freeway. Its also a very easy drive to the Civic Center and Civic Arts Theater. Air conditioning worked very well. We were there when temperatures were 105 or so high for the day; but yet the air conditioner cool and comfortable. The room is nicely decorated. Waters were in the room. There is a microwave and refrigerator. Parking is easy to find; one does need to put a parking note in the window of their car when one parks. One gets this when they check into the Best Western. In terms of check-in, staff was friendly and superb. Check in went quickly and very good directions about parking, room location, and breakfast. Breakfast is a $7 coupon towards breakfast at the restaurant (Camboni) adjacent to the front lobby area. We had superb breakfasts such as Italian french toast and coffee. Yum! If one kept the balcony door open, there is some freeway noise. We were on the 4th floor, but with the door shut, its fine. We slept very well. Best Western Plus Thousand is a very good place to stay with very reasonable rates. We also found it easy to drive to the Santa Monica Mountains and on to Malibu beach area. Its also a very easy drive to the Reagan Presidential Library. There is an outdoor swimming pool. There are also very pretty flowers planted around the hotel. Staff is superb.

The hotel grounds featured a fountain in a beautiful flower garden where hummingbirds came to drink and bathe - watching them made us happy. We could hang out poolside where we often had the whole area to ourselves. An outside bench and ashtray near the garden were provided for the convenience of smokers (instead of the usual surly direction out the exit to the parking lot). The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Sarah and Myra. Only issue we had, if you can call it an issue, was the adjoining Italian restaurant Camboni's, where guests could breakfast but not have lunch or dinner because it was usually closed after noon. Was that for the convenience of its mob owners, so they could discuss their gangland plans in privacy? Hmmm.

Some updates had been done to room but could still see water damage in bathroom and toilet wan't even installed correctly. Bathroom smelled terrible. Internet did not work. Bed and pillows were comfy though.

We have been to this hotel on several occasions. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Great location with the shopping mall close by. But we especially wanted to express how we were treated at the front desk. Kelly, helped us several times. When we tried to stay another time but couldn't due to the hotel being fully booked, she went out of her way to get us a reservation at another near by hotel. Awesome. She is an excellent employee. Also, we wanted to bring up Myra who was very helpful to us also. We plan to go back to the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn whenever we are in the area. Thank you again. Lisa

This is an attractive, clean, and comfortable hotel. It was perfect for our trip out west to attend a wedding (only a 12 min drive to the wedding venue). The hotel staff was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. DVD players in the guest rooms are a nice extra (free DVD library in the lobby)!

This hotel is clean, nice bedding, great staff, refreshing pool & hot jacuzzi. It's close to a large mall and other places nearby for shopping & eating. It's also easy to locate; just off the 101 freeway.

My husband and I stayed here while we got our son off to a local college. The hotel was very comfortable and the restaurant within the hotel was very convenient on those morning we needed to be out early.
