Tear in sofa, small bed pillows. Overall good stay. Nice area for breakfast. Large counters in bathroom. Nice decor. Microwave, sink and refrigerator in eating area were very nice. The tv was good except I wasn't able to get regular channels.
We arrived Friday the 4th of October around 4/30 pm, walked in and two men were working at the reception desk. We were not greeted, but ignored. When I spoke up to say we had reservations I was told hold on a minute i am doing something. Finally when the man whose name was Clay looked up , still no sorry or hello or anything remotely a greeting I again said I had reservations. He couldn't find them so I showed him the confirmation on my phone, which he took out of my hand. He then said well the problem is you don't check in until the 6th, when I pointed out that was the check out date he kinda grunted. He proceeded to bang on the keyboard in an angered manner. Took 20 minutes to check us in , called my husband bubba and was cranky and rude. He treated the lady checking in after us the same way, frankly we were worried he was going to snap and scream at us. Maybe he needs retraining or maybe he needs to seek help. I do not know. The bed was hard as a brick, other than that the room was good. Breakfast was great.
Nice and clean place, but the pillows on the bed I had were small and very uncomfortable. Rates were high for the area they are in. Other places offer cheaper rates and better rooms about 2 miles down the road. Better restaurants to choose from also to eat at.
Easy on/off the highway. Close by to other shops. Hotel was easy to find and check in. The room was good sized and it was clean and orderly. Everything was working fine. the A/C/Heat unit was quiet. We hardly heard any outside noise, if any. The included breakfast was the usual fare, but the breakfast area was clean. The food was kept well stocked. The hotel was quite fine. We would stay here again.
Very nice! Breakfast was good. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean also, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was a good size with ample plug-ins for our electronic needs. Would recommend!
Traveling through, by myself, for one night. The young woman that checked me in was very lovely. I noticed that there was a man's name as the “manager on duty” the only man that was there was questionable. I asked the young woman employee if there was a place I could work that I could spread out. I'm an interior designer and I had blue prints. She suggested the conference room right across from the front desk. Great. I proceeded to work for aprox an hour, and upon completion I started packing my working supplies to leave. As I was doing that I looked up and I saw and heard the man employee snap a photo of me. Yes that's true. He seemed shocked that I saw him and toss his phone over the front desk. Obviously making me extremely uncomfortable. I expect a call to report this employee officially. UPDATE…. Spoke with Tommy the manager and he stated that he was very disturbed by my experience. He said he would investigate and call me back when he knew more. Never hearing from him, I reached out to him today. He admitted that he saw the incident on their recorded video, but couldn't say for sure what the employee was taking a photo of. Really? Maybe he was taking a picture of me because that is what happened. He said it was a he said she said and I realized he was siding with his male employee. UNBELIEVABLE! If you're a woman traveling alone stay clear of this hotel. Beyond disappointed! Monique
Chris at the front desk was by far the best greeter we've ever had at a Best Western. The front desk staff can set the tone of your hotel experience. It makes such a difference when you're greeted by someone who seems actually happy your there as opposed to someone who acts as if your an inconvenience. Chris was welcoming, very friendly and couldn't seem to help us enough. Room and Lobby Cleanliness A+; Breakfast A+; Parking Lot A+. Yes! Book here if your staying in Texarkana. You will be so happy you did.
Nice clean room and friendly service. Need better lighting especially in the bathroom. Nice free breakfast.
We only stayed for 1 night but we were impressed. It's a newer hotel with nice amenities. It was comfortable, quiet and a great value.
I loved this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to all travelers. It was VERY clean with no odors. The room was large with great space in the bathroom to take care of business. No straddling the toilet to close the door. Easy on and off the highway. No street noise. A good breakfast was available to travelers to start their day. Will stay there again!
This is not a bad place. Our Room was clean and comfortable. There was adequate parking. The price was good as was the access to I-30 and I-49. I would have rated it higher except that there was not enough hot water in the morning for a decent shower. That is one a hotel just needs to get right.
Where did the ”Plus” go? We previously reviewed this pet-free Best Western Plus back in October, 2021. Check-in was quick and efficient but, unlike our first visit, not particularly friendly or welcoming. In general, the hotel was clean and well maintained. In the previous review we noted that our second floor double-queen room was “bright and cheery and among the the most spacious single-unit accommodations we have ever encountered.” Not so this time around. Our first-floor double-queen room was rather small and cramped for space (see photo), a far cry from the photos of double-queen rooms displayed on the hotel's web site. The “plus” had clearly transformed into a “minus” here. But the room was clean. Utilities included a microwave, a refrigerator, and a 32” TV. Beds were firm and comfortable. We previously noted that the second-floor bathroom was “clean … but rather small … and the lighting was dim … which made personal grooming difficult.” Similar sentiments pertain to the current bathroom. The remainder of our first review applies as originally stated: “The breakfast area was also small which forced guests into close contact. The selection of breakfast items were disappointing with hot foods being limited to synthetic scrambled eggs and very greasy bacon slices. No meat patties, no sausages, and no tater-tots. Also no boiled eggs and limited fruits. A prominently displayed tip-jar containing a few bait dollars seemed tacky in a breakfast setting because no personal table service was provided.” To be fair, this hotel was significantly cheaper than most other quality hotels in the area as of this writing. On balance, this is a clean, well maintained establishment that offers a range of fine amenities but is compromised by deficiencies in a few key areas. Among these is size. And size counts.
First the positives...our room was very clean, and maid service came in every day and made the bed with fresh sheets, replenished the towels, and vacuumed the floor. There was plenty of hot water and the complimentary shampoos and lotion actually smelled good. Now the negatives...I don't think I have ever had a hotel bed as hard and uncomfortable. We found ourselves waking up in the middle of the night and walking around the room because our bodies were sore from the mattress. And although the water was hot, the water pressure was so low and came out in such a narrow spray that you literally had to jump around in the shower to get wet all over. And talk about having a hard time getting the shampoo out of your hair! Good thing the hot water was plentiful because it took forever to get clean.
Free breakfast, nice rooms....reasonable pricing. Mid-level in all aspects. Nice water park behind, so if kids are involved? Great place to stay! The beds were good and rooms comfortable. It is located in a great, easy to get to place on the Arkansas side. IHOP nearby!
Nice looking hotel Evening staff was wonderful. Had no hot water to take showers. When checking out in the morning I told the girls at the front desk about it and she rolled her eyes at me. And didn't even apologize It was that way all night even late night
clean easy to find good breakfast loved the beds traveled with 9 kids 3.5.6.8.9.912.14.14.17 plus three other adults 3 rooms total called ahead to let know 1 room would be one different floor. close to many places to eat.
This location is always very accommodating and pleasant to deal With when staying. The rooms are always clean and usually very quite. The last room we stayed in had a very good A/C which is definitely a plus in this heat.
Front desk clerk was very friendly when checking me in. Got the room location I asked for (away from the elevator and highway) and got a room on the back of the hotel with a lovely view of a tree-lined meadow. Room was clean, spacious and nicely furnished, bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water but weak in the pressure. Room was quiet at night. I was promised a hot breakfast with bacon and eggs— turned out to be some strange, unappealing egg patties and sausage patties. Except for the disappointing breakfast, I had a very pleasant stay.
TV reception is spotty and the breakfast was a little sparse, but the room was clean and comfortable. The shower was adequate, the water is soft. Microwave worked fine, as did the refrigerator. Internet functioned well.
I drive thru quite often and I will always stay in this hotel. Very clean. Comfortable too. I will be booking a stay here in a couple of weeks. The staff is courteous. I am recognized as a Diamond Member.
Great stay at this location. Everything was clean and in good working order. Too many BW Plus locations are not properly maintained and should not be PLUS locations. This is hotel is an example of what a PLUS hotel should be like.
My room key wouldn't work, reason being I was given a room that was occupied. Woke up on my last day to find out BEDBUGS had made a meal out of my back and left shoulder. The GM has not contacted me yet.
Best Western Plus a great place to stay. Room clean, friendly staff, breakfast is the usual as other hotels, but was hot, fresh and a good start before getting back on the road. Internet worked well, and microwave and refrigerator in room also in good working order and organized. TV worked without any problems. Bed was comfortable and room temperature stayed where we set it.
We was traveling to Texas from Alabama and live to stay here. Rooms are clean, great breakfast and staff are great. Beds were very comfortable and very relaxing. If you need extra items staff is more then willing to get you what you need.
The hotel staff was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was noticible was the thin walls and floors. Could hear a lot from other rooms. Otherwise good place to stay, good price and would stay again if in the area
This location is one my favorites. My children and i stay in Texarkana monthly to be with my family.I never have any issues here but if i did i have confidence in knowing the staff will work to correct it!
My family of 4 were traveling cross-country and decided to stop in Texarkana to rest for the night. About two hours out, I used their website to make a reservation. I'm Active Duty and their option to select a military discount was super easy and much appreciated. The website was very easy to navigate and understand. We had two small children who had been cooped up in the car all day and we knew they would have a lot of energy running around the room while we got situated so I made a note in the provided section requesting first floor so we wouldn't disturb anyone below us. We arrived at the hotel around 9pm and there were signs on the front doors stating they were all booked up with no rooms available. I was worried we wouldn't have a room since we made the reservation late and online, thinking the system may not have updated in time. Not only did we have a room, but the front desk attendant had everything printed and prepared for us which made check-in extremely seamless and smooth. He also went above and beyond by actually reading the note I provided online requesting a first floor room. Exceptional service!! Breakfast the next morning was some of the best I've had at a hotel such as Best Western. It was fresh, hot, and consistently monitored by the staff. We will definitely be staying here from here on out when we travel through Texarkana in the future!
This is a new facility and very clean. The desk person had devised a wonderfully efficient check-in process -- fastest we've seen anywhere. Room was spacious with adequate electrical receptacles; good-size desk and kitchenette counter area; good fridge. Bathroom had adequate counter space and towel bars but weak shower. HVAC control was problematic -- couldn't get it to work correctly. Overall, definitely recommended.
This is my 3rd time to stay. The whole hotel is incredibly clean. Breakfast room is super nice. Eggs and meat for diabetics who can't eat the other stuff. Room is super cozy! I look forward to staying here.
I probably can't go on enough about this hotel the staff is amazing the rooms are comfortable the location is great the manager is very approachable and takes care of his customers breakfast is wonderful.... I've stayed here about 6 times and never have a complaint...
5 Stars for this hotel. I really enjoy staying at the Best western in Texarkana Arkansas the Manager and staff take care of you like family. I've stayed at many hotels and this by far the best one in town.
We choose this hotel based on prior reviews. The hotel was not a disappointment. It was clear. The staff were very pleasant. Would stay again if passing through the area. Wished there were more restaurants in the area.
Well lit parking lot and has been a nice quiet place for a good night's rest after several hours on the road. Very friendly staff, clean rooms with comfortable beds and a good breakfast including hot dishes, cereal, muffins, juice and good coffee.
The beds were my only complaint. Other than that it has been the best BW I've stayed at in a very long time. I will definitely be staying there on my future trips to Texarkana. The staff was ever so courteous every day. Our room was taken care of every day.
Great place to stay when you are traveling and need a clean place to stay and refresh. It was cost effective for a family of 5 - 2 interconnecting room. The staff are super friendly. The the pool amenities just add that little extra for the kids
The room was mostly clean though it seemed as if they mopped the floor with something that left a sticky residue. There was no drain plug for the sink so don't drop anything in the sink! The breakfast was ok. Smelled 420 in the hall and elevator both at check in and check out.
This hotel is one that we have stayed in several times. It's clean, comfortable and everything works. The free breakfast is a little better than most. The shower has good water pressure and the beds were firm enough for comfort. We all slept well.
My stay was excellent. It was a great experience. The employees are very professional and nice. The room was very clean and nice. The breakfast was great. I personally loved the biscuits and gravy. Very nice place
Hotel deserves top ratings in service & cleanliness. My only issue was shortage of face towels which can be rectified. @ check in receptionist stated leave your car & get your bags to the room. So, I was ok, when I realized there was a shortage of parking. But I appreciate the kindness. I would definitely return.
Asking for dinner recommendations at the front desk turned out to be an amazing tip! We had the best pizza ever! John was an awesome young man. Not only did he steer us in the right direction for meal choices, he did it with great humor!
Located just off interstate, but far enough to be quiet. Has plenty of parking. Our room was clean, quiet & comfortable. Had good variety for breakfast. Has nice outdoor pool. Every one on staff was friendly and helpful. Several places to eat close by. Will stay there again if in that area.
We always stay at this hotel when we pass this way. Everything is excellent and the staff are great. The breakfast is always good. We don't have any problems when we stay here. The bed is nice and soft.
We stayed here during the Talimena Rally so all the area motels were filled. Our rooms were ready for us in great shape and all we needed for several great nights rest was provided. Breakfast all 3 mornings were very tasty and a nice selection of items & GREAT service
Great desk staff. Rooms were less than expectedd on the cleanliness. Couldn't open curtains because there gross and the furniture had washable stains and food on them. What is expected I guess with cheap prices. Standard breakfast but fine. Location worked for me.
I only give a 5 if extra service and very good or if the place is over the top good. The reason for maybe a 3 is because of the poor lighting. The reason I gave this one a 4 instead of a 3 is because the fellow at check in was efficient and friendly. Also there were plenty of electrical outlets for our CPAPs and charging station. It was clean. The breakfast was OK but the gravy was better than most. So I will stick with a 4.
My wife and I stayed 2 non-consecutive nights in Texarkana at the Best Western Inn & Suites. We were traveling to and from the Ozarks and stayed 1 night both coming and going. I travel throughout Texas on my job and stay at many different hotel chains and I can honestly say that this facility is very easy to access from the interstate, extremely clean with modern decor, reasonably priced with a good hot breakfast and an excellent, caring staff! What more can you ask for? We give it 5 stars!
This was a great stop. The hotel was in a great location. Access was easy. There is a water park in walking distance but it was not open yet. We like having a refrigerator and microwave and ate leftovers from the previous night.
The hotel was convenient, clean, and roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee were conveniently located. The breakfast area had doors to it separate from the lounge area so the staff could prepare all the food prior to opening the doors. That is a great feature. My room was at the end of the hall so it had a little extra space. The rooms were very nice, the bathroom was super roomy and most importantly, CLEAN.
Very nice hotel. Front desk was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Very clean all the staff was very accommodating we enjoyed the breakfast. Was serenade by the young man at the front desk wish I could remember his name. He's a very good singer.
Clean comfortable beds. I have stated at this hotel numerous time the staff has always been pleasant. The rooms are up-to-date. For a hotel that's close to the interstate it's still pretty quiet. I only have one complain about this hotel and it's digging the water pressure it sucks.
It was a fantastic experience for a bargain price. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again. The staff was great. Loved the inviting smell when we walked in. The room was clean and large.
This stay offers good value including a spacious room and appealing breakfast. We had no problems. The lone elevator was a a little annoying but not that big a problem. The front desk was efficient and helpful.
The property was reasonable priced, centrally located and the rooms were clean and comfortable. A breakfast with a variety of items was offered and the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. I would recommend this property to others travel in the area. The convention center is located next door and due to a concert on Sat. night, parking was an issue. Information about concerts next door would be helpful since we had free time after the wedding/reception.
We had an extremely positive experience in this hotel. The room was super spacious, very clean and odourless. All the staff was extremely friendly and professional, from the front desk to the breakfast room attendant to the cleaning staff.
Stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised. Very nice, clean hotel. Continental breakfast was very nice. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, location was great. Would definitely recommend!
My Husband and I were so surprised at the helpfulness and pleasnt smiles we received when we arrived. The hotel was clean, modern and modern. The waterparks behind the hotel would be reason enough to bring grandchildren back for a long weekend stay.
The location was great, lots of resturants close to the area. The breakfast that was served was very good. Lots of choices and the quality was good. They had an attendant that kept the area clean and well stocked.
This hotel has definitely gone down hill. The lobby and surface look is clean and front desk was nice. Breakfast was very good. BUT…the sofa was so filthy I put a blanket over it just to sit on it. There are not enough lights and the lamps that were there had very low watt bulbs (I'm wondering if it was so we couldn't see the filthy furniture). We were only there for one night so.it was not worth changing hotels, but will never stay there again. I don't often leave negative reviews but I'm just trying to keep someone else from having my experience. The positive reviews must not be recent is all I can figure out.
First, the good: Check-in by Tommy at the front desk was very pleasant and efficient. Our second floor room was immaculate. All the furnishings were spotless. The room was bright and cheery and among the most spacious single-unit accommodations we have ever encountered. Not even a hint of mustiness. The two queen size beds were very comfortable. Collectively, these attributes contributed to a very enjoyable stay at this Best Western Plus. Now for the not-so-good. The bathroom, though clean, was small compared with counterparts in most quality hotels. The shower nozzle produced a narrow stream of water that could not be expanded into a broader stream. The lighting in the bathroom was dim which made personal grooming difficult. The breakfast area was also small which forced guests into close contact. The selection of breakfast items was disappointing with hot foods bring limited to “synthetic” scrambled eggs and very greasy bacon slices. No meat patties, no sausages, and no tater-tots. Also no boiled eggs and limited fruits. A prominently displayed tip-jar containing a few bait dollars seemed tacky in a breakfast setting because no personal table service was provided. All in all, a clean modern hotel with some frustrating limitations.
Would definitely stay again. Staff was great. Our room was very clean. We have stayed here before and will again. Many different restaurants to choose from in the area. One time when we stayed here I had a migraine and realized that I had left my medication at home over 1000 miles away. At three in the morning the front desk staff made calls and found a pharmacy that was open. They also wrote out the directions how to get there and back because you actually have to pass the motel in order to get back to it. They later checked on us to see if they could help us out and how I was feeling. They really went above and beyond. Thank you
Room: clean, quiet, spacious Microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot Beds: comfortable Bathroom:large, clean, plenty of hot water Staff:friendly Only stayed 1 night but overall it was a great stay Did not use pool and left before breakfast Close to restaurants, right off interstate. Only complaint was the little room with snacks and such was nearly empty, but there seems to be shortages everywhere these days
good hot breakfast, nice big room. Shower pressure could have been better. location a bit tricky to find at night because the street lighting along the highway isn't the greatest. but that's not the hotel's fault.
Staff checking was not friendly could barely get towels Had to pay a deposit that no was not told to me before my stay! Had I known this Friday morning staff was rude never spoke or asked how our stay was!! about the they hit that checked us Nathan was very friendly!! deposit I wouldn't have stayed!!
This hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly and professional. The price was around $89 including taxes and fees and included breakfast. It is conveniently located off interstate 30 - easy on and off. I have no hesitation recommending this place.
This hotel was in a convenient location and was very clean and fresh. Of the five hotels i stayed on during this trip, it was by far the best. My family and I all voted on the drive home which hotel was the best one we stayed at, and we all agreed that this was the best.
Great service very polite and professional staff. Very clean, sanitary rooms and establishment.Completely enjoyed my stay. Wifi needs work. Pool needs better cleaning. Keys are on and off with the capability of working.
I booked this hotel based off recent reviews and it didn't disappoint. The lobby area and elevator seemed clean. My room was very clean and spacious and bed very comfortable. One thing they could stand to update would be the wash clothes and towels they were a little thin but clean. It was very nice to have a full breakfast the next morning. Cheese omelettes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, could make my own waffles, had some delicious sausage kolaches and fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal. I used points for this stay but the prices I saw would have been fair for the quality at this location.
We love staying at this hotel. Even during the pandemic they have good, hot breakfast. The beds and rooms are comfy. There is even cabinet space and a countertop for the food. Pool and fitness center are good also.
Great room, amenities available, breakfast spectacular and affordable. Hotel business is serious business because you never know who is pulling up. The staff must come to work in order for it to function properly. We will be back and from now on this is our hotel of choice. People work hard especially truck drivers and this place shows complete love!!
My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way down to Houston. Right off the interstate. Check in: fast and efficient. Room: Comfortable bed, not too firm. Room was clean. Observations: Only 3 hangers in a poorly designed closet. There was not a complete towel set for 2 guests (I failed to bring that to staff attention on check in) The black out drapes closed from each side which left a small gap allowing parking lot light to get it Only one table light had outlets to charge electronics. Two would have been nice. I didn't see what set this apart from other hotels in the area. Was average at best.
The lady at check-in was very friendly. Our room was easily accessible and very clean. We did not use the pool but saw that many families were. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. My two minor complaints were: They only provided 2 sets of towels for 4 people and the A/C never quite cooled the room down as much as we wanted. We would definitely stay again.
This was a fantastic location, immediately off the interstate! The immediate impression from both the exterior and interior lobby is excellent. The staff is very attentive and willing to serve you. You will not be disappointed.
Water pressure was just adequate for bathing. TV was good, AC kept us cool, microwave and refrigerator worked fine. Bedding was nice. Pillows were the fluffy kind and the mattresses were a little soft. Room was clean.
Pool was open and sparkling. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Breakfast was decent. We booked a large block of rooms for a baseball team and everything went very smooth. Price was great! No complaints.
This is a very nice, very clean hotel with friendly staff. The pool was in working order. WiFi was good. They have a Fitness workout room next to pool. Breakfast with a cook. Husband enjoyed the omelet and bacon. We will stay here again.
Great Texas personnel and fairly comfortable bed. It's somewhat funny, if not disturbing, how BW regards a “Plus” rating for those hotels. I've never seen one deserving that! I'm not negative but think others should know the truth.
This hotel is a great place to stay if you are in the Texarkana area. It is modern, clean and quiet. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Good eateries close by. I am in this area on business 5-6 times a year and I will be staying here from now on.
Back in 2015, I wrote a review of this hotel and stated that this was one of the best hotels that I had ever stayed at. My recent visit was not nearly as enjoyable. We stayed in a Queen Suite (#318) and I had three major complaints: 1) The sofa (see attached photos) was filthy. Huge stains and no one even felt comfortable sitting on it because it was so dirty. 2) Water pressure in the shower. It has been a long time since I stayed in a hotel room that had such low water pressure. We tried turning the shower head to different settings, but it didn't matter. The pressure remained low (See attached photo). And this happened both at night and in the morning. This is unacceptable. 3) Washcloths: We had three adults staying in this room and yet only ONE washcloth was provided. The desk clerk was eventually able to find a few more washcloths for us, but we shouldn't have had to make the call in the first place. So the pros: Other than the furniture, the room seemed clean, the AC worked fine, water in the shower was hot, and the beds were fine. I am guessing that, with COVID, ownership has cut back on expenses by cutting back on maintenance, repairs, etc. But given this past experience, I'll be trying another hotel on my next visit to Texarkana.
Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff hassled by others and somewhat frazzled due to busy time. Clean and comfortable room. No wash clothes but everything else was great. Could use more light in the bathroom. But overall a good stay
Overall this hotel is one of the best of not the best in the area. Beds are amazing and the rooms are very updated and comfortable! I would recommend this stay for anyone in the area or traveling through and need to stop!
The room I had was big, clean, plenty of towels. A big hot breakfast was served, though I did not take part of it (just not hungry!) Check in was great, check out was great! Next time I'm in the area, I will stay here again.
From check in to check out, it felt like "family". Thank you to the front desk girl, Jamie. My room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Sleep quality at this hotel is very quiet. The area is safe and they have a real breakfast!! None of the Covid BS bag breakfast!!!
My fiance' had to book a place to stay while in Texarkana on a business trip. l checked Trip Advisor and was impressed with this hotel - mostly because of the review stating that they don't just hand you a bag with a muffin in it for breakfast! The hotel is fairly new, clean, roomy, very reasonably priced (cheaper than other hotels in the same area) and over all a very positive experience. Breakfast was a warm omelette with sausage! You do have to ask for it (not buffet style), but it sure beats hotels that have stopped serving breakfast due to COVID. What a lame excuse! My fiance' was very pleased with his stay. Good job, Best Western!
We were traveling from Michigan so we got it very late. We only used the wifi and breakfast amenities. Wifi was satisfactory. Breakfast was NOT Covid Bag which was wonderful and my husband loved the Bisquits and gravy. There were not a lot of gluten free options: fruit, hash browns, and regular yogurt (I much prefer Greek yogurt). Staff (especially the breakfast worker and night staff who checked us in) were extremely friendly and helpful. I'd give the room a 9/10 on cleanliness. (corners could use a good cleaning in the bathroom). Bed was comfortable and road noise was minimal. Shampoo and conditioner were very small, only enough for my long hair. We had to ask the desk for extra. We would definitely stay here again when traveling to Texas.
When we first arrived. hotel looked good. the interior was nice. the bed was nice and soft. No problems at all. For breakfast, we had the option of having a hot meal or other items that were on the countertop. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice, friendly staff. Check-in was fast. Room was very clean and everything worked. Plenty of hot water. Wi-Fi wasn't the fastest, but ok and it never went down. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Will stay here again the next time we're in the area.
The hotel was clean and quiet and check in was a breeze. Breakfast was a wonderful offering, wish I could have eaten. All issues were addressed promptly and efficiently. Will definitely stay again. Thanks Best Western!
We stayed at this hotel twice as a stopping point between destination. The staff was great. They handled all of our needs wonderfully. The double queen room was very spacious. The rooms are a little dated but not in a bad way. I would stay here again.
Very clean and the breakfast was handled better than any hotel we have stayed at since the start of Covid-19. We stayed at this property several years ago when it was brand now, and it still looks brand new.
We spent one night and really enjoyed the hotel. Ours was a queen “suite”, meaning it had a sitting area with a couch and one chair. Coffee bar area had mini fridge, small microwave, bar sink and coffee maker. Bryan checked us in and was both friendly and professional. The lady who ran the breakfast area was very nice. Breakfast was a bit of a wait as she had to serve each person, using a cart at the storage door as sort of a walk up order window. I realize they are doing the best they can with the COVID situation. The sheets and towels were nice quality and soft. I loved how comfortable the beds were. Mask usage by staff was inconsistent. However, that seemed common throughout the town. I can understand being fed up with shaving to wear them. One negative. Later that night, my sister went out to the car and realized she didn't have a room key or her purse. A different person was at front desk whom we had never seen. (Bryan was only staff when we checked in an hour or two earlier but not present then.) She told the new person the room # and he gave her a key. No ID, her name was not on the reservation. Didn't call me in the room. Lack of questions/security seemed odd. I'm hoping maybe he was in the back and saw us on camera when we checked in. So maybe he did recognize her as a guest. In our case it was fine. But usually hotels are more restrictive about handing out keys. Location was perfect, very central. We'd love to stay there again.
Sheets and towel seemed tattered. Acceptable quality for the price. Seemingly safe location. Unacceptable service. Half of the STAFF WERE NOT WEARING MASKS during our stay. My husband went downstairs and was THREATENED WITH EVICTION for not wearing a mask.... instead of the staff simply offering him a mask to wear. A few minutes later, two of the girls that were with us went down to the front desk... without masks. Nothing was said to them... females. As a compliance officer, I wonder how often a man and a women are treated differently... EQUALITY training and CONSISTENCY should be practiced at this hotel, along with CUSTOMER SEVICE TRAINING. A customer should NOT be spoken to like that under such petty circumstances. The fact that the staff felt comfortable to behave like they did makes me wonder about the leadership of this hotel. Overall, it was an average hotel... but because the staff felt that it was okay to speak to my husband like that— I WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE THE NEXT NIGHT.
We would definitely stay here again if we ever went back to Texarkana! Put the address in your GPS and follow the side streets. It's only a minute off the highway and the area is great! It is the perfect location and the staff is wonderful. We ended up switching from our old hotel rewards card to Best Western Credit card after this stay. The room was large and everything was very clean. As a wheelchair user, I normally get a roll in shower but I only had to wash my hair so we made sure the shower head was detachable. The room had a mini refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. There is also an outdoor pool. The location is perfect being right off the highway but also close to many restaurants. Definitely recommended!
There was mildew in the bathroom-very noticeable...yuck. I will say the TV remote was wrapped to ensure cleanliness. Pillows were not comfy. Staff was not very friendly. We stayed two nights-in and out both days and of all the staff we saw, only ONE person wore a mask. Probably won't stay here again.
I was given a key to an occupied room. They then tried to charge me the wrong amount. The clerk during checkout was apathetic and not very helpful. The rooms were clean after the problems were resolved. I would not stay at this location again.
Our family stopped here overnight while driving to Missouri. Check-in and check-out were pretty quick. The front desk agent was very friendly and respectful. We were disappointed that better safety measures were not being implemented at the front desk, for the benefits of guests AND employees. For example, no plexiglass panels were installed at the check-in desk. In addition, it was not clear why the check-in staff did not wear masks. Yes, the Best Western COIVD response statement says that housekeepers and laundry staff will wear masks, but why not front desk employees? Out of all of the employees working in a hotel, aren't the front desk staff the ones who will come into contact with guests the most? This procedure did not make sense. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite that had 2 queen beds with a pull-out couch. The room was very clean and we had a quiet evening despite being assigned a room that was on the second floor above the lobby area and near the elevator. The only downside with the room was that the coffee-maker did not work – a minor point for us. Breakfast went exactly as described in Best Western's on-line statement on the pandemic. We had a “to-go” bag with a nutrigrain bar, banana muffin, and an apple. We could also grab individually wrapped sausage biscuits. We really enjoyed the individually-sealed cups of juice and bottles of water. Overall, it was a good stay. We appreciate that times are challenging, but we would have rated this 5 stars if better safety measures were being applied in the lobby/check-in area.
One of the best Best Western hotels I've ever experienced. Clean, Comfortable, Accommodating, and a group of employees that bend over backwards to assist with any requests or questions. The wife and I actually look forward to staying at this particular property.
We were driving from Texas to Indiana and decided to stop here for the night. It was clean, had a microwave fridge and coffee maker with coffee. Updated and CLEAN! I CANT SAY CLEAN ENOUGH!! Really a nice place. The room was large. I would definitely stay again.
We always stay here when returning from our annual vacation to my home state of Ky. We travel from Texas to Ky. When returning home to TX we always stay here because it is very clean and the people are super friendly and helpful. The location is ideal because we travel on I-30.
The tPool was open and it was lovely ! The rooms were great, had lumbar pillows. They had a great selection of TV channels and had Netflix ! Very friendly, help ful staff. Was in a very convient location.
The biggest complaint is related to the pandemic. I searched several hotel websites to see what precautions are being put into place to protect customers and employees. Best Western laid out the best plan, as far as I could read, so that is why I chose BW hotel chain for our stay. However, when we arrived at the hotel, almost nothing was actually being done! There was only one sign recommending six feet social distancing and it was not a big or clearly visible sign. There were no markers on the floor to give guidance for social distancing. Not one person was wearing a mask besides our group of four. The man that checked us in was not wearing a mask. I had to hand him my credit card, which he took with no gloves or no wiping. There was no plexiglass or shield in front of him. Having to hand him the credit card required being within a couple of feet or less of him. In addition, the hotel felt packed. There were several children staying on our floor who were roaming the halls - it seemed every room had a door ajar with the young guests going from room to room - they all seemed to be together, and not one guest was wearing a mask. In our room, there were decorative pillows and scarves on the beds. The scarves might have been washable and changed with each room cleaning, but the decorative bed pillows clearly were not - and they were propped up against the regular pillows. We registered that there would be four adults in the room, but there were still only two washcloths provided, so another trip to the lobby was necessary. The bed pillows were filled with bits of lumpy foam - not comfortable.
We booked two adjoining rooms for a one night stay in Texarkana. The hotel seemed clean. There was no social distancing or face coverings by any employees that we saw considering our stay was during the pandemic. There was also a bolster pillow on the bed, and I am not sure that is cleaned in between guests. The only obvious change we noticed due to the pandemic was that there was no breakfast, just a grab bag with a fruit and some packaged muffins. We had brought our own food and this was not really a concern to us. However, our biggest problem during our stay was that in room 330 there was extremely low water pressure. It was such a low flow of water that it was quite annoying. We did report this to the front desk. We were told that someone was on their way to our room. We immediately went up to our room and no one showed up. We asked again, we were told someone checked on it ( we have no idea how that could have happened since we had been in our room) and that it was normal pressure for a hotel!! We have stayed in numerous hotels and we know this is not normal. Fortunately we had two rooms and used the other room for our shower etc. The other adjoining room did not have this problem. We were not too happy with this lack of concern by the staff.
Staff members were so kind and helpful. Rooms very clean. One of the nicest hotels we've been to in awhile. I'm sure the next time we're in Texarkana we'll be staying here. Thanks so much for the hospitality.
Clean and up to date. Good service. Breakfast good. TV remote was in a clean pouch. Generous rewards program. Was able to use a free night with only a small number of precious stays. Will plan to stay here again on future trips through Texarkana
Decent room, good for our overnight stay. Front desk very pleasant, easy parking. Convention center next door. A fair Mexican resturaunt with a bar within walking distance. A typical breakfast. Or mattress was not very comfortable. Looked like the pillow top was on the bottom. Pillows were not great. Had a bit of difficulty figuring out the shower. Overall, it was okay for a one night.
I have stayed here often. I can always count on it for comfort and cleanliness. The rooms are nice and spacious, always clean and I feel safe here. Tommy the manager runs this place really well and truly cares about the guests and the hotel quality. It's nice to be a repeat customer, and come back to a place that you know will be safe, clean and comfortable.
This was a very nice facility. It was close to interstate and restaurants. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was good for a motel breakfast bar. Internet was good.
This hotel needs some attention. The fitness room looked like no one had used it in months . Missing parts for the weight machine, TV/cable box did not work. No towels or water cups either. Our room, was a suite and the couch had stains on the cushion which when we turned them over revealed tears in the cushion fabric. In addtion, the TV in our room waent out after about an hour and required a replacement cable boc and tightening of the cables to get it working again.
Checkin was easy and the gentleman checking us in was friendly. It was a nice size room with plenty of room for our motorcycle gear. We had a king size bed which was firm. It was comfortable. There were plenty of outlets to charge electronics. Only down side was on one side of the bed there was no outlet on the lamp for easy access. There was good pressure for the shower. Breakfast had plenty of hot choices:fried egg, sausage, biscuit, gravy, waffles, and then plenty of other cold options too. Wifi signal was good and was able to do some work on the computer easily.
Looks like new, breakfast was pretty good. Mostly I was impressed with the cleanliness. Would stay there again. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, I am not happy with this review process making me add up to 200 characters. If I'm impressed enough to take my time to give them a good review that should be good enough.
We took a two week trip and this was by far the best of the hotels we stayed at. The rooms were huge and very nice. The entire property looked new or recently refurbished. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the price couldn't be beat! The breakfast was hot and tasty and the ladies serving were so nice. There are several restaurants nearby. We will definitely choose this Best Western again!
I stay at this hotel several times a month, and am quite satisfied with the hotel. Location is quiet and convenient, facilities are in good shape, breakfast is hot and generally good. Highly recommended if one just needs a comfortable facility for a few nights with exercise room, outdoor pool, and hot breakfast. Good value for the price.
We were very impressed with the quality & value of the hotel. My only suggestion is that their veterans discount should be larger than their AARP discount. The staff at check in & breakfast were top notch!
This was the perfect stopping place. The place was spotless, the breakfast was great. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. Bathroom was clean and had a really good shampoo and soap, i didn't have to unpack mine.
Clean, large room at a super reasonable rate! The staff was awesome and really helped us have an amazing stay. We had a funky door lock battery (an unavoidable inconvenience of electronic locks) but they got us back into our room quickly. This is a super professional and caring outfit. Thanks for taking care of our Christmas!
I have stayed at this hotel several times when passing through Texarkana. The service is always excellent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was hot and fresh and the area was clean.
In an area of multiple hotels, choose Best Western. When. Ear the area, this hotel is one wort staying at. Tremendous value and staff was welcoming. I will go out of my way in the future with this one
I was in town for daughter's Texas A&M Graduation. This hotel let us use the breakfast area for a little reception for pizza and drinks, with family and friends. The Front Desk Employee was very welcoming to our family and guest. Thanks, again!
Good value for the money. Clean room and very good hot breakfast. The front desk attendant wasn't trained on BW Rewards membership tiers and didn't know what to do for an upgrade or points. I hope this gets fixed for my next stay at this property.
Enjoy staying at best western always great food, and clean room. This one I stayed at for weeks at a time and great staff that are polite and knowledgeable. This place get a 10 out of 10 in my book in hotel experience
Love bestwestern location very comfortable hotels make you feel at home this location was amazing friendly a d professional staff amazing staff very satisfied nearby restaurants location is very easy to find!
Our experience staying at Best Western Plus in Texarkana was perfect. We had no issues or problems. The rooms were extremely clean and a nice size. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good and the cafeteria stayed cleaned. Next time we stay in a hotel we will definitely choose Best Western Plus!
The only problem was the remote was not programmed to the TV The hotel itself was fine. Very clean and comfortable. Check out went very quick and friendly. Asked for receipt to be emailed which was done right away
Great place to stay. Friendly staff. Very clean. Breakfast was awesome. Many choices. Near restaurants. The rooms are comfortable. Coffee in the rooms was tasty. The building seems new. Lots of parking. We earned reward points for staying with Bestwestern.
We were warmly welcomed by Tom at the front desk who was friendly and helpful! Clean, comfortable and great breakfast! We highly recommend and would stay here again. Good location, easy to get in and out and lots of things around. We went to Mother Kelley's for lunch and the food was superb! Chicken Fried steak, mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing.... Walmart near by!
I was attending a weekend symposium at Texarkana College. Being a member of Best Western and frequently staying @ BW when I travel, choosing this particular hotel was a pleasant experience and a very close location for my meetings. The local food choices were many. I expect to return in my my future travels to Texarkana.
my experience was a pleasant and enjoyable one with one exception the bed needed to be a lot softer for my old body, I know a firm bed suites a lot of people but not me so if these hotels really want to satisfy all their customers maybe they should consider split number beds
A very nice hotel with friendly people and nice amenities. The hotel is nicely located in a safe area and has easy access with ample parking. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the property is like new and very pleasant, and the breakfast is nice. I recommend the hotel highly.
Great hotel! Extremely clean! Conveniently right off the highway. Lots of shopping and good choices of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was more than adequate. Friendly hostess who was s great help and kept the breakfast room spotless.
it was a very pleasant stay, room was clean and comfy every thing was updated at the same time. which means it all matched, and that is what you expect from a plus. Thank you for a pleasant stay. would definitely stay here again!
This is a great property with great amenities. The room was great and very comfortable and the breakfast was great as well. The only issue I had was with the TV. The cable box would turn off every five minutes or so. I didn't tell the staff as it was late at night. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
The whole staff went out of their way to make our stay awesome !! Breakfast was great and the hostess kept the dining area clean and was very attentive and helpful. Hotel is right by the highway and there are a couple restaurants in walking distance. Thank you to all the staff !!
This was one of the nicest and most quiet hotels we stayed in on our trip! Everything was super clean to included our tv remote sterilized and in a wrapper! Beds were perfect, staff pleasant and I got the room I asked for. Price was unbelievably reasonable. We will not hesitate to stay here again!!
We stay for 1 night on a Tuesday. It was full. Parking lot full also. Rooms ok. Bathtub squeaked. Hair drier was in the closet not the bathroom. 1 elevator and very slow. Breakfast 6:30-9:30am. Only 1 restaurant walking distance but we didn't try it.
This hotel is easy to find, check in was quick, the room was clean and the bed comfortable! The bathroom was large so two people could move around and get ready at the same time. The breakfast was good…the typical high carb diet, but there was variety in the protein. One morning omelets and sausage, the next morning bacon and scrambled eggs. AND they hand out bottled water from the front desk upon request! We used this service the most because it was 98° outside while we were visiting!
My rating for Best Western Plus in Texarkana is 5 star Plus. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and all of our personal needs were met in a caring and professional way. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needed on. The food is fresh and the selection of is of great quality.
I was travelling through when I decided to stay here. This is a nice place to lay your head for the night. The breakfast was average and there was nothing to really say. It was clean. Not many places to go to eat anything. Only a Mexican restaurant and a IHOP.
I stay at this particular only when I come in town. Tommy the manager is the best person ever. I stay there so much they all know who I am when I walk thru the door. Great breakfast and very comfortable and excellent staff. I love staying here I feel like family there
The staff was very good. The room was clean and up to date. The bed was comfortable. The location was easy to access and in a safe location. The room was quiet and I was not disturbed while I wrote my reports.
My girls and I stayed here and we visited the waterpark directly behind the hotel. Our hotel stay at this best western plus was amazing. It was the nicest best western we have ever stayed at. The rooms were nice and comfortable, as was the workers.
Everything was as expected. Great shower. Room was very cold even though we tried to adjust the temperature. Used the provided extra blanket which looked as though it could use a cleaning, but we needed it!
very easy access to and from freeway.... 10 year old building looked 10 days old....very well kept, clean and modern. Young man who checked me in couldn't have been more helpful and nicer...even came to my room and fixed my TV cable box.....
This is a new hotel, and you can tell it. It was very clean and modern, and they were still working on the masonry at the entrance. I would expect they perform a construction punch list to fix things like the broken elevator button cover that makes it look like there was cheap and fast construction before the hotel opened for guests. My king room was nice, large and very quiet. The AC got the room cold as I like it even in August. The bed was fairly comfortable for a one night stay but not as comfortable as another Best Western I recently visited. The service upon check in and check out was good. The breakfast choices were limited compared to some other Best Westerns and other three star hotels I have visited, and the “eggs” were a big egg patty folded over with some peppers and diced tomato inside...like a cheap omelet. They weren't that great. They did have biscuits with country gravy and sausage patties, so you could crumble up the sausage patties into the gravy if you wanted traditional sausage gravy. The lady serving breakfast was extremely kind and polite and greeted all the guests. I wish I could remember her name to compliment her (management, I was there for breakfast on 8/10 if you would like to recognize her). I would stay here again, but I recommend to the hotel that they identify and fix the construction punch list and improve breakfast choices and food quality.
Great place to hang your hat. Clean, comfortable and efficient. Good value for the expense. Service staff are friendly and helpful and truly seem eager to want to please the guest. I actually look forward to some trips if I know this will be one of my stops.
Checked in but found the were workmen just outside our room and we wanted quiet especially early in the morning. Nice young man reception shifted us and also recommended the Mexican restaurant we ate at. He also arranged for pool cleaning to deal with the green algie in the warm outside pool he was not aware of until we told him . Helpfull staff, we stopped next night at another BW and discovered a missing item & thought maybe id left it here. Staff at Sulphur Springs called them for us and no luck. Then Tex called back, they check3d with another cleaner and sure enough our item was found& handed in. Arranged for postal delivery to friends in USA. Nice follow up, thanks
I always peruse the reviews on TripAdvisor to make my choices for hotel stays and many other things and I know that there is always a chance that we will end up with a negative experience even though most of the reviews for a given property are "Very Good" or "Excellent". This was one of those times. I see that the General Manager, Tommy Joe Turner reads these reviews and responds frequently. For the good reviews he repeats himself a lot and for the negative reviews he makes many excuses with an occasional sincere apology. I don't need a response from him, I doubt we will ever be in Texarkana again and we will be hesitant to stay at Best Western properties even though we are Gold level Loyalty Club members. I understand that this property is often near capacity or full, so it was not surprising that although they advertise "interconnected rooms" we were not able to be given the adjoining rooms that we needed for my mother-in-law, a disabled senior. We were given first floor rooms near the end of a hallway by the exit doors. Our room was not even directly across from hers. She was given a large king room that did have a door to the adjoining room, but this was occupied by a family with small children and their screaming and playing was easy to hear. As soon as I inspected our room, I was dismayed to find that the toilet would not flush properly and that there were quite visible stains that looked bad on the top of the bed covering. I would have just removed them and used the extra blanket in the closet, but it was very flimsy, cheap and lightweight. The room was not very clean either, needed a deep cleaning for the carpet and there were lots of scuff marks on the door, door jamb and lower walls. I had seen reviews where guests had found their rooms to be updated, spotless and of very high quality, so this was a real let down. My husband immediately went to the front desk and informed Alex, the night manager, of our problems. I felt badly for Alex. He seemed to be the only employee there and he made a solid effort to provide good customer service. He stated that housekeeping was gone for the day, which is often the case these days; also understandable. He searched around for clean bedding and could not come up with much, so we moved all of our luggage over to Mom's room so he could work on the toilet issue and beds while we went out for a few hours. When we returned, he was concerned that the bedding was acceptable to us, which it was and I am convinced that he washed the fresh bedding and made the beds himself. The toilet never worked properly, but we could tell he had tried. I felt that none of this was Alex's fault, he simply did not have the tools, supplies or staff that he needed to run this property all night by himself. The breakfast was fine and the woman running it was kind and started up a conversation with Mom that she enjoyed. My husband appreciated the addition of almond milk to the coffee bar. Alex really tried to be helpful and adjusted our bill with a slight discount for the inconvenience, but this property needs to continue updating the rooms, perhaps not renting the ones that need renovation. They would also be wise to keep at least one housekeeper and someone for maintenance on staff during the later hours, so the assistant manager could at least delegate these chores and not have to solve them all himself. I hope this review helps someone else in their search for accommodations and that the concerns expressed here are helpful, not just idle complaints.
My wife and I had a nice, clean spacious K suite with a couch, two chairs, two tables & small kitchenette. The TV had ample channels, but the HD quality was not up to par. Breakfast selections were adequate.
I make it a point to adjust my trip schedule to stay at this BW property in Texarkana. I've been here a dozen times and never been disappointed. There are plenty of dining and shopping options in the neighborhood. This hotel always meets the Best Western standard!
This hotel is new and clean and priced right! I visit Texarkana frequently, and I've finally found the safest, most comfortable place to stay for under $100. The breakfast is good. The lady attending the breakfast buffet got into an argument with a customer because the tv was on Fox and the customer wanted to watch CNN. Most entertaining, especially when the employee said “ we don't get CNN”. The pool looked good too, but I didn't have time to use it.
Very nice place with good WiFi and breakfast. The employees were very helpful. The room was big and clean. Easy access to the parking. The pool was nice. They matched the online price. We only stayed one night but would stay again if needed.
When checking in, I asked for assurance I got a good room, so I didn't have to come back. Irene stayed with attitude “we're all booked so...” then concluded the check in. We opened the room door and found a trashed room that smelled like marijuana. As I approached the front desk, Irene saw me and rushed away. Alex (brunette with beard) is who I showed the pic of the room. His solution was with attitude “I'm not going to clean the room, I'll put you two in separate rooms or I'll refund and you can find another place” I asked for Tommy the manager which Alex said he was gone for the day. Once we got settled. We we're leaving for dinner, another guy was there, I asked if he was Tommy. I proceeded to show and explain the situation.Tommy stated with lack of concern “the situation was explained to me” with Alex next to Tommy, I expressed my frustration that of Alex attitude and statement of refund and find another place. Tommy went on to defend Alex of the messy room was due to cleaning crew gone. I prepaid this room 6/19/29, that there was no excuse. I asked for a single room with 2 beds the next day and that was fulfilled. During our stay I crossed Alex at the des, he ignored me, didn't greet or even acknowledged us, other did. Clearly Alex lacks customer service skills. Needless to drag on that from the start our trip was ruined and Best Western left a bitter taste in our experience. My son made a good point, it's sad that crappy service is caused my employees that follow poor managers. A good manager sets the tone and level on any business. This location seriously isn't customer centric.
I have stayed at this property many times when working or traveling through this area. The hotel is always clean and comfortable. The staff members are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is always nice. Just an overall great place to stay.
Nice room. Hotel staff was pleasant. Easy in and out of room. I give this a 4 star review because of the extra pet fee. If I stay in Marshall Texas again, I might check to see if another hotel close by may offer the same amenities at a lesser charge. All in all, I would say this is an above average hotel
This place was amazing, really wish we could have stayed here longer, but we were passing though. New hotel, that smells good in the rooms and in the hallways. Great breakfast with hot food. We needed to get on the road early so the Breakfast lady opened early for us. We had a great rate and got a great nights sleep. If all hotels were like this one, travel would be a pleasure.
Fast check-in, comfortable beds, quiet, good breakfast. This place looks brand new. Easy access to restaurants and the interstate. We will be staying here again. Be sure to consider this Best Western when you're passing through the area.
Outstanding resting area after a long day's drive. Great bed, nice room with sofa. Internet was fast. Great breakfast and convient location to other sites. Highly professional front desk and housekeeping safe. This is my 3rd stay at this place.
Came for a baseball tournament. Very nice and will stay again if in the area. Easy to get to and good breakfast. Nice location to just about anything. A lot of places close by to eat and doesn't take long to get to just about anywhere.
The location is on the hotels complex. There are some hotels in a same blocks. Very nice services from the staff. The pool is outside, so it can't be used when it is cold outside. Small swimming pool. The breakfast menu is just average
Comfortable bed, great pillows, room very dark & quiet -got an excellent sleep.Spacious bathroom with lots of towels made it easy for two of us to get ready for the day. Appreciated the fresh fruit at the tasty breakfast buffet. Pool and exercise room available but we did not use them. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Enjoy this property very much. The staff here are nice and friendly. The rooms are spacious and always clean. Breakfast being available each morning saves me time and allows me to get going sooner. I stay here almost weekly r/t business.
My wife and I were very pleased with the comfort of the queen-size bed in our room and with the cleanliness of everything. The hot breakfast was unusually good, and it was a pleasant surprise to find omelets available instead of those fake scrambled eggs that usually are on a hotel breakfast bar. We would have liked to have sat poolside, not to swim but simply to relax, but the pool area was not open.
Great place to stay! Friendly staff, check in was quick and easy. Happy with the large, clean room, good breakfast! Was quiet and allowed for a good night of sleep! Cost of the room was very reasonable, quick access right off the interstate. If back through the area will stay here again!
The staff is great I love staying there. It's the only place I stay, they know me on a first name basis. The rooms are great and has a nice hot breakfast made every morning. Can't wait to go back and stay again.
This hotel is excellent! The room was awesome and the breakfast was great. Very helpful staff. The price is amazing for the luxury you get. I have stayed here several times over the last few years and have never had a complaint
Currently under renovation(March 2019) we stayed in a completed room on 3rd floor which was ok. New paint and carpet, bathroom they are painting over tiles and bath resurfaced only. Refresh reno only. Room was comfortable and bed was good we slept well. Breakfast area being renovated so a little messy and staff a little slow replenishing food.Ok 1 night stay that was worth the money
Was wonderful but hard to spot. Sleep was ok but a little loud at times. Staff was wonderful, check in was easy and fast. Breakfast was good but could use a few more options. Overall place was great and price was very good
We stay at this hotel every time we come to Texarkana, we love it they are always so nice and the rooms are always very clean, I recommend this place for sure. I don't want to stay anywhere else. It is so easy to get to and close to everything.
Friendly staff. The suite was large and clean. The price was great for the size of the room. The TV was so small, that we could not read the tempature on the weather station. The pillows were small, but we slept thru the night.
We really did not intend to stay at any hotel in the Texarkana area, but we decided about two hours away that our plan to drive all night was not the best idea. We did a phone search in the car and saw that this Best Western had very positive reviews and called the hotel directly to reserve a room. I got Trevor at the front desk who told me that no rooms were available with two beds. However, he did mention that the King Suite had a bed and a sofa pullout. Trevor offered us the room at the price of a two queen bed room, which we greatly appreciated, and told us if that did not work he could try to check with other local hotels that could accommodate us. We were very impressed with his above and beyond thoughtfulness. We got to the hotel around 1:00 a.m. and met Trevor. He was in training under a supervisor named Brandy. Both were very helpful and friendly. We were offered extra towels and told that if we needed anything, there were some amenities available at the front desk. I am not sure if they were complimentary, but we did not need toothbrushes or razors...….still, thoughtful customer service. The room was very clean and roomy. The king bed was extremely comfortable. I don't think any hotel can ever offer a sofa bed that is anything more than survivable, but we all got about four hours of sleep before getting ready to get back on the road for our push home. The bathroom was huge and fully contained.....meaning the vanity was inside the bathroom. Lots of hot water for three showers, but the modern water savers really take a toll on the water pressure. The mediocre water pressure was our only issue with the room.....and a minor gripe is that a bigger TV could be provided in the large room. Breakfast is served from 6 am to 9:30 am. There is a very large breakfast area with plenty of tables and a hot breakfast buffet. The hot choices were premade cheese omelets, sausage patties and biscuits and sausage gravy. Plenty of pastry and bread selections were available, including bagels. The usual juices and coffee were also available. There was a designated attendant for the breakfast area who kept everything clean and well stocked......well above average for a hotel breakfast buffet. My wife was happy that there was a waffle maker.....her favorite. Free USA Today newspapers are available at the front desk. This is a relatively new property as far as we can tell.....well worth the price.
This is an old building and old - everything - inside. Upon arrival and after checking in, I'm advised that the carpet has been ripped out of the hallway where my room is at. Not the end of the world for me but kind of a tell-tale sign of things to come in the room itself. Faded carpet in the room. Office chair covered with stains, as well as another chair in the room. Someone else's hair in the bathtub. VERY low water pressure. I mean, barely running type of stuff, at all hours, not just in the morning when everyone is taking showers. They have fresh carpet coming in the hallways, they would be well advised to replace pretty much everything in the entire building. And for those of you stuck on foot, the only thing within walking distance is at the Holiday Inn next door. Best Western actually encourages you to go eat at the Holiday Inn! lol How about you just stay at the Holiday Inn instead?
I always stay at this Best Western at least four to six times a year, my wife and I keep going back because the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. I like the variety of the breakfast and snacks!
I chose this hotel because of the great price that were were offered for our group of students and parents. They have been amazing at helping and making sure everything was prefect. We had around 12 teens and 12 adults stay. We loved the suite options for our kids, plenty of room and very nice. Breakfast was also an added bonus. Lots of options to choose from and ready before we even got down there! this hotel did not disappoint.
Beautiful and excellent hotel that is right off the highway. A great place to stay that is affordable and comfortable with your family or to stay solo. Also has a great breakfast to start your day. From now on this is the only place I will stay when traveling in that direction
a little hard to find due to frontage road. the guy at the desk was very professional, dressed nice, clean cut, friendly and helpful. room was very nice for the price. the lady had most breakfast stuff hot and ready early which was good because my husband was in a hurry to get on the road.
When we entered our room, we noticed we didn't have a shower curtain. I told the front desk clerk, she apologized and then gave me a shower curtain to hang. So I had to hang it. I mean, it wasn't MY fault we didn't have a curtain. No service person, no staff--just me. It was obviously a used curtain (although clean). It was torn in several places around the place where it hooks to the rod. When my wife got ready for bed, she noticed that we had no tissues in the bathroom. We also had trouble with the light next to one of the beds. These things may sound minor, but I expect better when I rent a room. The room was quite comfortable and clean. We have stayed here a few times over the past few years. We will probably stay somewhere else in the future.
We found the hotel to be updated and generally clean. The bathroom was roomy and the room was fairly quiet. The free breakfast offered several hot options (eggs, biscuits and sausage) which was surprising. Unfortunately, the juice machine was out so milk and coffee were the only beverages available. Our toddler is unable to drink milk so this left her with no options. When we inquired about beverages to purchase we were rudely told there was nothing downstairs for sale. We were also met with rudeness when we asked the attendant to fill our daughter's cup with water from the kitchen (there was only hot water available on the bar). I understand that machinery breaks and there is often a wait for service. I think it would have been nice for the hotel to purchase a few gallons of juice and/or bottled water to go with their breakfast and at the very least been nicer when met with questions.
For a 7-year old Best Western, this hotel was updated. The room was a good location for traveling and beds were soft but firm. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was more than helpful. The breakfast area was clean and the food items were plentiful and tasty.
We are on a family Christmas travel and we decided to stop here. After researching the prices we found they had the best deal and the clerk was able to match the online price to give us a deal. Lobby was clean and nice and clerk was nice as well. Got to the room and it was large and clean. Bathroom was huge compared to most. Everything was great except the beds. They are not that comfortable, the worst part was the tiny pillows. They were more like couch cushions than pillows and not that comfortable. We always like the big hotel pillows. So, just a picky thing from us but otherwise a good stop. Pillows would have made the 5 stars.
We chose this motel because it had good reviews. It is a very nice clean motel next to the interstate. The rooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms. The breakfast was good with a nice variety to chose from. Pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend.
Clean, comfortable, and quite. Breakfast only average, but not bad. All services working well. Carpet in corridors a bit shopworn, but room was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will stay there next time in town.
The staff was very friendly and the rooms were large. However the carpets were stained, the bathroom fixtures were functional but broken, and some of the room details were heavily worn out. It was a satisfactory place to stay, but I think other hotels within walking distance of this one are in better shape.
My family has traveled a lot this year for both work and pleasure. We are always very happy to stay in Best Western hotels. We enjoy having breakfast on site and the clean and comfortable accommodations.
We like the value of BW. Their rooms are always clean and their breakfast is always great, especially with kids. This location is no exception. This was our first stop on our thanksgiving holiday and the stay was pleasant. We checked in fairly late in the evening so we're grat for a fairly quick check in process. The room was quite spacious and clean and breakfast was great. We will be returning.
This hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The beds were also comfortable except I wasn't too fond of the pillows. They were comfortable but small so you had to put 2 together (minor personal issue). Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was well prepared with lots of options to choose from. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and will stay again the next time that I am in the area.
Trip Advisor really let us down with the Certificate of Excellence on this dump! Honestly, how can it be the #1 hotel for Texarkana? Filthy carpet, mildew on bathtub , torn shower curtain, stained towels. Management's reply at the front desk when we checked out on 11/3 "This place is 10 years old." Yes, it looks like it has not been maintained since opening day!
We stayed for one night on the way. We got the last room available, room #109. We were ok with it as I just had a knee surgery and was easier on me. Room was very quiet. Had microave and refrigerator. Two big queen size bed and very comfortable mattress and pillowes. The bathroom was renovaed with all extra new look. Very good hot and cold breakfast with waffles, fresh fruits. Would stay again if we are ever on that way.
it was easy to find, there were other hotels right by it. Ate at the Denny's right down the access road. Tyler checked us in and he was great. Gave directions to the restaurant, and we used the gas station next to it. Tyler also gave us the extra pillows we wanted when we returned from eating. The hall way needed some new carpet, but when I mentioned that at check out the guy said they were working on it. I hope so. The hotel looks new from the outside, but those faded and stained carpets made it look old. the room was comfortable and quiet, the hotel was set far enough back from the highway that road sounds were not a concern.
Manager has controlling issues possibly caused by childhood family problems. He is rude and makes accusations about guests before investigating problems. Will never stay at this location again if manager is still there.
This is an excellent place to stay. Facility was very nice and clean. The bed was not very comfortable, but this would not deter me from staying here another time. The breakfast was wonderful. Staff was friendly and professional.
We stayed here on our way to Austin where my son and family live. Our room was clean and neat and the three of us —my husband, me and our three-year old granddaughter—slept very comfortably. We woke up and had a wonderful breakfast which included the make your own waffles which my granddaughter loved. I also appreciated the staff worker who discovered my granddaughter's special pillow we left behind. Bless him for running out to our car with her beloved Olaf pillow. We enjoyed staying there so much that when returning to Indiana from Austin, we stayed there a second time. This hotel will definitely be “our choice” on future trips to Texas.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous. The room was better than we requested...they upgraded us to suite. The food was good, especially the biscuits and gravy. Look forward to coming again.
Close to highway, large rooms and easy check in. Breakfast as expected for a budget hotel Great for overnight stop with plenty of restaurants nearby Modern and plenty of safe parking Staff friendly and efficient
I have stayed at this property several times. It is a nice place to stay. Overall it is clean and we'll kept. The rooms are good size and we'll furnished. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The breakfast is lacking. Should be better.
Everything was great here professional staff, decor of rooms just outstanding. Only reason I didn't give a five was cause I don't prefer I guess you can say spicey foods and the breakfast omelets were made with spicey ingredients in it so I didn't get to enjoy my breakfast. Other than that perfect!
Super friendly and clean place! Great staff and clean rooms. I would stay here again. Nice decor, nice breakfast. Efficient checkin and checkout. Nice exterior. Nice business center. Everyone was great.
Stayed here for two nights recently for a wedding. The staff is so nice and friendly! Rarely do you find a hotel where everyone is like that. The breakfast was delicious, we especially loved the biscuits and gravy. I also loved how quite our room was. The air conditioner worked great too. The bath soaps also smelt amazing! Now for the negatives, I'm not sure if it's because we have children, or what, but it seems like they gave us the worst looking room in the place. Our carpet had stains all over it and the bathroom just looked very old and like it needed an update badly. Paint chipped, patches on the wall, toilet seat was loose and the bathtub drain was broke. The carpet in the hotel in general is the worst I've ever seen. Would have been a perfect stay if it wasn't for the rooms condition honestly.
Have stayed here many times both for fun and work related. Daughter lives in Texarkana so we visit often. Hubby made the reservation for two nights, although he did not catch the error upon signing in. The day after the first night stay, he received a phone call from the desk and they were questioning, reminding us what time check out was. He replied we still had one more nights stay. At which time he was informed that we only had a one night reservation and that they were full up and we needed to check out. There was no reasoning or apology. Manager said we just needed to come get our stuff ASAP because they needed the room as it was already booked up. He neither apologized or offered any excuse or assistance with finding lodging for the night. Needless to say, my husband will NEVER stay at another BW!! And he travels weekly. The hotel needs deep cleaning and the carpets were worn and stained. Also the manager and desk clerks could have been kinder. I was just saddened and shocked at their behavior. I guess that since we had reservations at such a good price, that we were put out for somebody else who was paying more.
Let's just say the experience was terrible.will not ever stay at another Best Western again no matter what. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Evidently they don't care about repeat customers.
We stayed here this last Friday and then again last night. Very nice! Very friendly staff on the phone and in person. The sweet young lady that checked us in Sunday was bright, efficient, knowledgeable and super over-the-top accommodating for her customers. Not only with us, but I observed her with the elderly as well, and she was patient and kind. I would stay here anytime. Clean room, friendly staff, even the lady in the dining room for breakfast was awesome. Guy named Joey (I think that was his name) on the phone when we booked to come back was great. I'm hard to please, and they were great! Five stars!
We picked BW because nothing cheaper had good reviews. Ended up being a better deal for us. The cheaper hotel the night before only had coffee fruit and muffins so we went and spent $20 on breakfast. At the best western they had a beautiful breakfast. Omelets, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, smoothies and more. So the price ended up being a better deal at the Best Western Plus. Beds were wonderful, TV was great even had a sanitized remote. That was a first with us. Check in was a breeze. Even reminded me of a BW rewards that I forgot I had. Very pleasant stay.
Hotel staff was very nice. Desk clerk got us checked in very fast. We were checking in around 10p.m.after a 12 hour drive on the way to Texas. Room was excellent and beds were very comfortable. I definitely will stay here again
Great room, great rates, excellent breakfast The staff was friendly and courteous. Everything we needed was available. Great location just off the interstate but far enough back for a quiet comfortable stay
The room is beautiful. The staff are awesome and it is nice and quiet. The pool is outside and real small for the occupancy of the hotel and no jacuzzi very disappointing for as nice as this hotel is. Great place to sleep though. The daily rates are very reasonable compared to other places.
Passing thru and Checked in for night! Lobby was ok, kind of dark. Front desk gentleman was pleasant. Always do upper floor but elevators not working so was switched to first floor, ok understandable. Had room at very end of hallway, carpet was not just dirty but disgusting and stained. One of the children had to use bathroom in lobby during checkin (around 4pm). The bathroom was filthy. Garbage can over flowing , feces on seat and no toilet paper. Got to room and it was large, bathroom appeared clean. Carpet was dirty, socks black in minutes. Beds comfortable enough but sheets weret thin, old and would make great rags. Breakfast was exceptable for continental, coffee was weak.
I stay at the BW Texarkana every time I pass through the area. Have tried most of the other hotel brands in the vicinity and none offer the same bang for the buck as BW. Staff always go out of their way to be accommodating and have never been disappointed with the facilities.
This Best Western hotel is one of my favorites as of today. It was spacious, very clean, and had a huge shower in a huge bathroom. It was far enough from the freeway to get a good night's sleep without the highway noise and the staff was very friendly.
Room was great, had no issues and would stay again. The pool was a little small but good for a dip! The breakfast was good and had good scrambled eggs and bacon! There were plenty of restaurants nearby and even a Walmart in case you forget anything.
The hotel and service was above average. We had traveled about 12 hours and were ready for a nice rest stoop. The Best Western provided a nice clean place to stop. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
We had to make an overnight stop on our way back to Dallas and saw this online with good reviews. What a lovely surprise to find a place in the freeway that was so clean, modern and decent. The rooms were large and bathroom spacious. Breakfast was good and included as was WiFi. Exceeded our expectations and for a place to stop was really very good.
This was a nice hotel, reasonably priced. We were on the third floor, far from the elevator (I'm assuming because we got a discounted room rate). The carpet in the hallway was stained, and looked worn. The room itself was okay, and everything was clean. The staff were all very nice, and the breakfast was good. We've stayed here before, and were happy with the cleanliness, the breakfast and the staff, so made a point to stay here this time. Not disappointed.
Avg hotel and not very accommodating. No restaurant and aging. 1. I was caught up in the East coast airport delays and unable to make it to my reservation 7.25. I was unable to call the hotel until the morning of 7.26 and explained my situation. Was told they would have to speak with the manager. I asked to change my stay to 7.26 due to my flight delays. Was told because I didn't cancel prior to my arrival that they would not honor changing my reservation to the next day and I would have to pay for a new one. Really - that's pretty crappy. But still thought I'd give it a try once I got to the hotel and could speak directly with the manager. 2. Alas no. When I arrived at the hotel at 3:00 7/26 - surprise surprise manager was not in. Must be nice to have 9:30 - 3:00 hours. On top of that, the hotel is almost empty.Needless to say I'll have to elevate to my credit card company. 3. We were put into a room on the 3rd floor at the farthest point away facing the highway. Why I wonder - hotel is almost empty, why would you not put us in a room closer to the hotel entrance. 4. Hotel has no restaurant or bar and nothing w/in walking distance. Rooms are average, hallway carpet a mess. Will I return EVER to a BW - heck no. Move on if you are thinking about this hotel, there are literally 5 more when a stone's throw. And with an absent, inflexible and unaccommodating Manager I can see why this hotel has its issues
We stayed overnight at this hotel, in two rooms. It was clean and all staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were suites with two beds and although spacious, only had one upholstered chair and a desk chair. One of the rooms had a tv that didn't work but we didn't report it as we weren't going to be there long. Also, water pressure was low at 7 a.m. and we were on the ground floor. Breakfast was typical fare and eating area was very well attended and clean. We would probably book it again if a night in Texarkana was needed.
We drove in from the Dallas are for a tournament on a Friday afternoon, it took us about 3 hours to get to the hotel we had booked. We had a bad experience trying to check in at the other hotel and decided to come and check to see if this hotel had any rooms available. (When I had tried checking when we booked the other hotel it kept showing they did not have any rooms.) My husband went in and Alex at the front desk went out of his way to get us a good rate, and get us checked in quickly. We literally went in gave him our info and were up in the room in less than 5 minutes. He was awesome, very helpful and friendly! So glad that we decide to go in and check on a room here. Everything was great, the beds were soft, breakfast was perfect and overall was a great stay! If we ever get back to the Texarkana area we will for sure be booking here again!!! Thanks Alex you are awesome and for helping what started off as a bad night get much better!
For the price, it's a decent hotel. My only issue is the rooms, hallways, etc are really showing their age. At least, that's how it was on the 3rd floor. Also, I got a handicap room and the shower was one of those super cheap plastic wands that barely sit in place. Bed was comfortable, room was relatively quiet, and they offered complimentary bottled water, so overall I'm satisfied with my stay.
The front desk clerk was unable to check us in since we were early and the room wasn't ready. She was still very gracious and held luggage for us and had it taken to the room when it was ready. We booked the hotel since there was a special between the hotel and Holiday Springs Water Park. $15.00 per person for the waterpark. Excellent price!! This is our second year in a row to visit the waterpark and stay at a hotel. The room we reserved was a two queen bed with a sleeper sofa and taxes and all was $96.60. We were in Room 218. The bathroom/toilet/shower area is spacious. The shower head is at the right height for my husband at 6 feet tall. There are two switches in the bathroom, one for the light and one for the exhaust fan. There is a desk/chair with a light. There is a padded bench for luggage. The room has a small closet. The tv swivels. Microwave, coffee maker, and mini refrigerator with a small freezer section is in the room. Breakfast was standard fare. The suggestions I make is to give the lady help during busy times. She tried her best to clean the tables/floor and refill food but was stretched thin. The little couch and tables by the tv should be replaced with more tables/chairs for the breakfast area. The beds were comfortable and well appointed for those who are hot or cold. The a/c unit worked very well. There is an outside pool however we did not use it. My suggestions for the room is to have the carpet cleaned and the floors mopped. Both were dirty as the bottoms of white socks were no longer white. We will definitely stay here again.
Stayed for one night. Kinda weird access, on a frontage road, but aside from that, everything was very good. My room was clean and organized and the staff was pleasant and professional. Typical Best Western breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again. Good place.
On our way back to Galveston, so our halfway stop is Texarkana and the Best Western Plus. Nice clean rooms at a GREAT price and a wonderful breakfast too. And Super Front Desk Clerk CLIFF even remembered us when we walked in. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!
Our room was very clean and comfortable and ALL of the staff with whom we interacted were courteous and professional. The continental breakfast was delicious and check-in/out was easy. We look forward to staying here again.
This Best Western needs to change its name to BEST BED!!! It is wonderfully clean and comfortable. This was last stop toward home after two week trip to Brevard NC. Except for three night stay with family this was BEST of trip. You will not go wrong here.
Best Western Texarkana Inn & Suites is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's in a great location right off of 30, close to a lot of different restaurants. We would stay here again when we travel to and from Texas.
Great rooms! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our coffee maker didn't work. We called the front desk and a new one was brought up in less than 5 minutes. Breakfast was typical hotel fare but no complaints.
BW is not called BEST for nothing. Great atmosphere, wonderful guest services and all around clean. They are very attentive to your needs. Breakfast is great. Please stay here, it does not get any better.
We were on a road trip and drove until we got sleepy. Around 1030pm on a Sunday night I started searching yelp and trip advisor for nearby cheap hotels since we were only going to be there literally to go to bed, wake up and leave. I found decent reviews on this place and was going to book on my phone to get the hotels.com points, but was worried it would not go through quick enough before we arrived. I called and I believe his name, Alex, was great. Said to just make sure it was the right day on the reservation since we were now around 11pm. But that whatever we found on some 3rd party, they would honor too. Since I was half asleep, I just waited until we got there. We didn't know the area either so wanted to make sure it was not sketchy. Alex had left, but there was a very happy new guy to help us. I showed him my phone and he honored the $64/night price. Now on this trip we have paid much more for much less of a hotel/motel room. Probably the nicest of our entire trip was here. I was guessing there was a convention center there - and there were 3 or so hotels right next to it - all look pretty brand new. I showered and could not find the hair dryer, called the same guy at the front desk and he was happy to help (It was in a bag in the closet and hanging up, I didn't see it). Bathroom was really nice, as was room. Our view was of some waterpark (?). breakfast was okay. I waffled it, hubby toast and there was plenty of bacon! Coffee was decent and they had real and vanilla creamer (not powdered) and a nice room to sit. Good rate, terrific service, would def recommend if you are passing through.
When faced with the thoughts of putting the relatives out, we chose to stay at the next best thing to home. Best Western hotels. We are in another great BW tonight. Loving retirement and the benefits it allows us to enjoy.
I have booked this hotel for many years for business and personal travels. The manager at this location is very helpful in any situation that might take place. All the staff are helpful, courteous, and friendly. The rooms are always clean and perfect. I have never had any problem with the WiFi and the Fitness room is great. The morning brings wonderful breakfast items to choose from. Perfect Hotel!
Our room was clean but had black markings on the drapery & bed coverlet. Upper cabinet door above microwave is about to come off. Pillows are lumpy. Don't stay next door to the fitness room. You can hear the exercise equipment being used through the wall. Breakfast was good. The bathroom has a exhaust fan. Yeah! Staff was friendly.
There is not one bad word for this facility. One of the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed at. I would definitely stay again if I am in the area. Staff was suberb, organized. Grounds were spotless and cared for.
I found very little wrong with this hotel. I will mention that a lot of light bulbs were out in the parking lot. If this was fixed it would have gotten a 4.75. It was very clean. The mattress was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and had a lot of options. We had very good bacon, waffles, and eggs.
Just stayed one night on our way South to Galveston. Right off Interstate 30, easy to get to. Close to everything. Nice CLEAN room and the BEST free breakfast we have ever had! Cliff at the front was so helpful at check in! THANK YOU Cliff!
This seems to be extremely new construction BUT the carpets in the hallway [3rd floor] were stained in many places. WHAT I LOVED about this hotel is that the doors don't slam when they are closed. One must remember to close the door completely when leaving the room because since it doesn't slam, it does not close completely on it's own. I traveled alone on this trip and felt very safe. Every staff member I had interactions with was extremely polite and helpful. The lobby is very clean and the elevators were Extremely slow, but very, very quiet. The breakfast bar was lovely and spotlessly clean. Offerings were, among other things, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, toast, bagels, etc. I was pleased to see Almond Milk and Yoplait and Activia available as well as Herbal Tea, Coffee, Juice, Fresh Fruit, Cold Cereal and cook your own waffles. The Toasters took FOREVER to toast bread and bagels. The room contained a microwave and mini single serve coffee maker, on which the lid was broken. It didn't affect the operation of the machine. There was also a mini fridge which worked VERY WELL! The room was immaculately clean and there was LOTS of storage. Hair dryer in a bag in the closet. Wonderful Iron and Ironing Board as well. It's a GREAT VALUE for the price; $62 for a king room.
The main thing you want from a one-night stay in a motel room is a comfortable bed, a quiet room, and reasonable cleanliness. In those respects, the Best Western comes out pretty well. For a price of just of 60 dollars, it's an exceptional value. Even so, a fastidious traveler might object to some of this Best Western's downsides. For example, 1. The elliptical exercise machine in the Fitness Room is obviously on its last legs, making a loud racket, and requiring a level of effort that isn't accurately reflected in its display. 2. Although there is a water dispenser in the Fitness Room, there were no cups available. 3. The hallway carpets are “variegated”, but presumably not by factory design; rather, there are innumerable stains up and down the hallways. 4. Hot water in the morning (7:30 or so) is not hot, but lukewarm at best. I suppose that those four items could count as complaints. Beyond, that there are some observations: 5. The breakfast was pretty standard, offering pre-fabricated omelets, greasy sausage, and biscuits with Sysco-like gravy among the cooked items. Like too many other motels, this one relies heavily on plastic and Styrofoam plates and utensils, thereby adding to the planet's landfill pollution. 6. The Great Hairdryer Search: Normally, one finds this appliance attached to the bathroom wall, and there were a couple of holes suggesting that one had been there previously. Eventually, we found one in a bag hanging from a hanger in the small closet. 7. The bathmat was severely frayed — OK, it was still usable if unsightly. And the towels were anything but soft, so they had a bit of a bracing sandpaper effect when drying after a shower. All that notwithstanding, it was actually a positive experience.
Very short overnight stay. Room is updated and clean. Front desk staff are very pleasant and professional. Late check out is nice. We missed the breakfast. Only getting 4 stars because of the terrible water pressure (one of my stars is always for shower water pressure!) ??
I adore this hotel....they are very accomodating and are attentive to the guests....the breakfast is pretty good, but the hotel decor is what makes it for me...very calm and tranquil. I have no complaints.....
Have stayed at this hotel multiple times both by myself and also traveling with my daughter and infant grandson. The service and friendliness of the staff, as well as the quality of the facility, make this a regular stop when I travel through the area.
I made the reservation while driving. It was easy to locate. Check in was fast. The clerk helped us with dinner plans. The morning clerk was friendly and helped me find another BW on down the road. Excellent room and comfortable bed. Very quiet and relaxing after being on the road.
Stopped here on our way to see family. The guy at the front desk told us the elevator wasn't working, but seeing us with kids, put us in a room near the stairs on the second floor (but not right by the stairs). He also pushed a rolling cart to the side door he told us to use to enter. Made our stay very easy! Beds were comfortable, bathroom was roomy, which helped because we had to run a steam shower for our youngest to help clear his congestion. Didn't see the hair dryer in the bathroom but was told it was hanging in the closet, for anyone looking! I think the only downside I saw was that the tables and chairs in the breakfast area felt a bit close. There was a couch in front of the TV for a homey feel, but I had to dodge people and squeeze around chairs to try to get the high chair, and then felt like I might be crowding the people behind us. We will definitely stay again when we have to make this drive!
For a three day stay, we found the room very comfortable with all the amenities that we needed. We plan to copy the walk-in shower in our home because it was so convenient and easy to use. In three days we had plenty of variety in the breakfast to keep it interesting. It made our Christmas visit to our son's family a real joy.
We got a great price for this hotel and thought the breakfast was great, but there were a couple of things that bugged us. The sheets were threadbare and even more annoying there were only 2 wash clothes when the room fit 4 and we booked for 4. We would stay here again, but seriously, don't skimp of silly little wash clothes and perhaps invest in some new sheets. Also, the elevator was broken, which was very annoying, but it was Christmas day, so not too surprising it couldn't be fixed quickly.
This is a good inexpensive stop on our way to see our grandkids. Rooms are fresh and clean although there are some updates needed. There is a nice restaurant within walking distance for a drink and a sandwich.
Clean, quiet, best rate for the area and you have many options. Parking is bad but seems like they are working on it. Need new mattresses but you can see they are updating. I hope that's next for this hotel. I'd stay again.
We had two rooms (four people). One room great, one was until it filled with smoke from the heater. When the desk was called the staff member had no idea how to stop the heater or shut off the smoke detector (on the plus side, that worked!) and didn't seem to know who to,call to help. Luckily we were about to check out so we did.
I stay at the Best Western every time I come home to visit Family, I love bed I just sink in it and hate to go back home. The staff has always been so nice and I enjoy the Fresh Breakfast. I'll be there again December 22.2017. Keep doing a Great Job
Due to bad weather, we changed our travel plans at the last minute. We contacted the hotel directly and they were extremely helpful. One tip: get directions from the hotel. It's much easier than the GPS. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff gave great customer service. This hotel was convenient and a great deal. Will definitely stop again.
Good location, but a little difficult to find on first attempt, improved signage near highway would be a good idea. Excellent modern room with the best mattress of our entire trip. Very high value and very helpful staff.
I was not a happy customer or patron at your hotel because of the customer service that I received at this location. I just want to make sure that this does not happen to anymore of your guests. Customer service is everything to me because I can't remember anything else about the stay other than the disrespect and the rudeness of the housekeeper that work work at your hotel and I don't want to have to take a chance that if I stayed there again I would have to come in contact with her and feel helpless because nothing was done to satisfy the customer.
Great hotel location right next to the convention center with excellent helpful staff!!! Will stay at this location again next time through. Good breakfast, fresh food. Excellent Value! Keep up the good work!!
We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years we travelled south for the winter. The reason for choosing this hotel is that it is convenient, clean, friendly, they have a good breakfast selection and they are within walking distance to a nice restaurant. There are also other restaurant choices nearby.
Marvelous facility - attentive and professional employees, well managed. Clean, fresh rooms, comfortable furnishings. The "go-to" hospitality site in Texarkana. This is a gem of a property and a wonderful representative of the Best Western brand.
The price, location, friendliness of staff and cleanliness were just fine. The rooms need redoing. They are getting worn. Management told me that they are working on it. There are 7 or 8 hotels within a 1/4 of a mile. This one got good reviews so we stayed. I was a little disappointed in the upholstery in the room, but it was, overall, a very pleasant stay.
I research hotels extensively before booking. This hotel met all the expectations with a couple of exceptions. We had a cleanliness issue with our pillowcases and the shower water pressure wasn't very good. The shower floor made a loud popping sound when stepped on. These things were reported so hopefully they will be on top of that now. The breakfast was great! The two bed suite was great. And the people were friendly. I would stay there again!
Best Western Hotels have come a long way from previous years. They're now updated with clean, quiet, and comfortable rooms, daily breakfast and internet. Rates are very comparable to other hotels we favor. We will definitely be on the look out for more BW's during our next road trip.
The staff was fantastic and accommodating. I enjoy staying at this hotel because they always make you feel comfortable. The location is close to eating establishments and easy access to the highway. I have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. It is located with easy access to the main city.
Very happy with the stay. Nice room and pleasant staff made the for a good nights sleep. I can highly recommend the hotel for anyone in the area. Appears to be a newer hotel so everything was new and clean.
I honestly wasn't expecting a lot for the price I paid but boy was I wrong! This place was nothing short of fabulous. I have paid much, much more for much, much less. Very clean, beautifully decorated and more than ample space. We will definitely put this one on our list for future travels! Be sure sure not to miss breakfast. It was one of the best I have had in the "free" breakfast category.
This is a really safe and decent people place to stay. No druggies or thugs. Everyone was well mannered and friendly. The breakfast was clean and hot. Rooms were exceptional and the beds comfortable and well made. Parking was easily accessible and plenty of luggage cats available. Desk personal was informative and very professional.
We stay here often and it is always clean and decorated very nice. The staff are very nice and professional. The breakfast bar is attended well by the staff and a good variety of food choices available.
Very nice stay at this Best Western. It gets 5 stars which is something I don't give often. An added bonus was Cafe 511 which was very close. This was our fourth Best Western in 5 days. We were just here for one night, but will consider it again when in the area.
Moved to this hotel from an adjacent one after a terrible experience. Staff was awesome. Great breakfast, great room, great night. Non-smoking here actually means a conscientious effort to keep the rooms good for those who a sensitive to tobacco smoke.
Hotel is new and decorated nicely with modern furnishings. Hotel staff efficient at check in. The room is of good size and very clean--even given a remote that was in a bag that I assume was disinfected which is comforting. The sound barriers between the rooms are nonexistent as I could here the conversation in the room next to mine. The shower had very little water pressure. I know this sounds picky but I travel monthly and would really like have comforts of home away from home. This is a nice property and is a good value for the money.
Room was well laid out, clean, and quiet. Internet worked well, TV remote did not. Hotel was easy to find with easy in and out. Food was nearby and very easy to get to. I did not have time to check out the pool. Breakfast was okay... eggs, bacon, orange juice was okay... I didn't try the pastries.
Being from the Northeast, I was really worried when my father booked such an inexpensive hotel. I worried for nothing. This place it top notch! A similar stay would have cost 3x the price in Vermont or NH.
This hotel is the best hotel my family and I have stayed in a well. it's clean the breakfast is good and the staff is awesome. The pool and exercise rooms are great. The surrounds feels safe. This is the place to be with family, friends or business.
This Best Western Plus hotel is clean, conveniently located next to I-30 with easy on and off. Very friendly and efficient staff from Check-in, Check-out, and Breakfast area. Very comfortable beds in a clean room (with microwave and fridge). Lobby was clean, and the lobby restrooms were clean and well-stocked.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was great every morning. We traveled to this hotel for a softball tournament and we had multiple families and they all loved the hotel. The hotel was quiet and very comfortable beds.
We stayed at this hotel coming and going on our trip to San Antonio. The service here was great, the hotel and rooms clean and modern, and the value was exceptional. We had two minor problems with the room on the trip down. First the battery in the TV remote was basically dead and the outlets in the bathroom did not work. We were only there for the night, so we did not complain, but we did leave a note when we left. The room on the trip back was great and no problems at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for value, clean rooms, a decent breakfast, and a convenient location.
Arrived at hotel, left to eat, came back and there was no parking spaces available. Two tractor trailers took up about 15 spaces. Small number of spaces to begin with. Clerk said that this happens regularly and suggested we park in the fire lane. I said "no" and was later able to squeeze into a space between two large trucks- the only space available after waiting an hour. Also, only one slow elevator for the whole 3 story building. The room was nice and the bed comfortable.
Very friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Highly Recommend. Our stay was very pleasant. and comfortable. Enjoyed the staff and the exceptional breakfast. The breakfast was well presented. The person in charge of the dining area was very professional and the area kept clean.
This is a fairly new building and feels very clean and fresh. Very close to a wonderful restaurant, easy to get in and out and wasn't crazy expensive compared to other Best Westerns. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
This hotel will definitely be on our list to hotels to stay at. It was a definite improvement over our regular Hampton Inn choice. This hotel is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast can be better, but it was average to what most hotels in this range are doing. I thought the coffee, which I really look forward to, could have been a better quality.
Good location near city and freeway and lots of shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room with bathroom and amenities, internet and nice breakfast. Would stay here again when on the road
Good clean reasonable place to stay. Could not have ask for a better place to stay in Arkansas. Close to everything needed. Staff was great. Recommend highly ! Great price. Breakfast was good and hot. Plenty of hot coffee.
This stay was definitely an experience/value. Made reservation by cell phone about three hours ahead of our arrival. Requested a ground floor room, and they accommodated our request. If this location is in range of our future travel plans, we will definitely stay again.
Can say of the two hotels stayed in this area, BW was the BEST experience in Texarkana. Reservation staff very pleasant and receptive to our needs. Housekeeping staff very prompt attention to our extra needs. Our rooms very clean and beds very comfortable. Exceptional Breakfast and spacious breakfast area. Internet service easy access and very fast speed.
Check in was easy and our room was very clean and pretty. Great bathroom and amenities. However, during the night, our smoke alarm started beeping. Tried calling the front desk, but no answer. My husband went down there and the got the young man. He came and tried to fix it, but, didn't know how. He called someone and after an hour and a half, finally got the battery changed. He told us we would be compensated for our trouble. Next morning, when we checked out, we were offered only $10 off our bill or some BW points. Plus the young lady was rude and never offered an apology or even a goodbye, as we left. She just put her head down! We have stayed at several other BW properties and have never been treated like this. No more BW Texarkana for us!
I stay at Hotel a lot for my job and Best Western is always my first choice. I stay many of them and this the most beautiful one yet today . The whole staff in friendly and helpful right off the interstate 30 easy access will stay here again
All out of town family stayed here during the TX A&M graduation. It worked out very well. Good accommodations, clean, helpful staff, good breakfast. The wifi was down during our visit, but that was our only issue.
I could tell it was a little bit older hotel but the rooms were just fine especially for the great price. Breakfast was fine and everything was clean in and outside the rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if in the area.
An OK oasis on a long trip. was looking for a La Quinta but they gave up the property they had there. The property is on an Exit of a major highway very easy to get on and off Gas is available in rough.
Stayed with family and got two King Bed With Couch Suites. Very nicely maintained and everything looked almost brand new. Decor was lovely. We were comfortable & happy. The pool was really nice and peaceful in the evenings. Breakfast was tasty & great. Scrambled eggs & bacon days were my favs. My only complaint would be that the bathroom vent fan was not working. I hope they get that fixed. We have had a really nice hotel home for the past few days & I hate to leave it tomorrow.
We were coming from a business trip in Alabama and needed to stop for the night. There were 4 nice hotels in this block with Best Western being right in the middle. It was very nice looking from the outside, and even more inviting on the inside. The best thing about it was the price was $20.00 to $40.00 less than the other 3. That sold me. The icing on the top was a great breakfast the next morning. Great CLEAN hotel with friendly people. I'll be back.
This Best Western is both a great place to spend the night and also very reasonably priced. Found everything including the room, the service, and the breakfast to be very good. I would not hesitate to stay here anytime in the future
Although this hotel was a bit difficult for my GPS to find on the frontage road, everything about my room and my stay at the Best Western in Texarkana, AR was excellent. I would definitely return to this hotel.
Hotel was very nice and easy access to freeway. Young man at check-in was very helpful. Room was extremely nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Fir travelers with children there is a water park behind the hotel.
I'll start by saying the facility is very nice, especially considering the price. The staff was very nice at check in. I booked through priceline for 3 nights, and paid through Priceline of course. Check in went off without a hitch. On the third night of my stay, I arrived (after midnight) to realize my door key card wouldn't unlock my door. I went down to the desk to get a new card activated, only to be told that they showed no record of me being there whatsoever. Ever. Like, No record I had checked in, no paperwork (which I had filled out at check in stating name, address, car make, model, license plate #, and the general questions. Nothing. They showed some other name to be booked into my room. One of the desk attendants (the nice one) walked up to my room with me, and opened the door and showed him that it was indeed my stuff in my room which I had been in for two nights previous to this. We went back down to the desk where the other guy still acted as though I was somehow a squatter in the room because there was no record I had checked in or anything. I proceeded to pull up my priceline receipt and itinerary, showing I was booked there for those night, and had paid. He told me they would go ahead and "let" me stay, but that they would probably just have to eat the bill because they had no way of charging me? Charging me? I PAID through priceline and just showed YOU I PAID! That one of your employees messed something up was not my problem. I joked that it was ok if I wasn't charged, (trying to lighten his grouchy mood...like I had created this problem) and his reply was, "Sure it's ok for you if you're not charged, but it's not ok for us!" Whaaat??? Again, I ALREADY PAID THROUGH PRICELINE!!! So they gave me a new key card, and I spent my last night. I went down to check out this morning, the girl at the desk (who had originally checked me in) said someone checked me back out in the system for some unknown reason after she checked me in, and they wouldn't be charging me for the last night. To this, I said, well I already paid through priceline, you mean I will be refunded for one night? Her reply? "No...you will still be charged through priceline as you've already been charged and paid, but we aren't going to charge you for last night. Technically, to give you the room last night after you had been checked out, he should have swiped your card and charged you for it. WHAT?!?! I ALREADY PAID!!! What in the world??? I'm still confused, shaking my head, and very frustrated over this ordeal! I liked the hotel, but feel I should have been compensated in some manner for this instead of repeatedly being told they are not re-charging me for something I already paid for like they are doing me a favor.
Everything about our stay was above expectations from the price to the breakfast. My wife and granddaughter had lots of good things to say about our short stay. The breakfast was one of the best we've every had in a Best Western. Looking forward to our next stay, next summer.
This is a nice hotel. Halls, rooms, etc. all seem mew and clean. Apparently the guests before us must have dropped and broken a bottle of Georgio of Beverly Hills perfume from 1980 as it was overpowering, no way that they use a cleaner that smells like my great Aunt. (RIP Aunt Fay) It didn't stink, but man was it strong. We could not get a room with a sofa sleeper as was reserved, nor was a roll-away available, so one of us had to sleep on the floor. Apparently they knew this was going to happen as there was a huge pike of comforters and pillows on the side table when we arrived in the room. One of the beds was soft and comfy, the other hard as a rock. Everything about the hotel and the experience was either great, good or tolerable, except for the breakfast. The breakfast was almost ok, but the breakfast attendant was rude. She almost knocked my 9 year old granddaughter down bulldozing between us to add to the already 2' tall stack of paper plates. There was one soggy egg left and I ate it, happy to not have to buy breakfast someplace. I choked it down while watching her roughly push her way into and in front of at least a half dozen other people. I have never seen anything like it. No smile, no excuse me, no pardon me, just a dazed "get the hell out of my way so I can get this over with" look as she zoomed back and forth from the back room to the breakfast area to fill the full items and leave the empty items empty. I still tipped her, in case she was just having a bad day, and because it is my social obligation, but she sure did not earn it for good service. P S, according to the kids the biscuits were like hockey pucks, the gravy tasted like water, and no one else in the family ate anything but me and that dang soggy egg that I forced down, so we still had to stop for breakfast. We would, however, stay here again if in the area.
Great place to stay with caring staff! Beautiful, comfortable rooms for a great price. Breakfast wasn't the best, but they are working on it. Would stay here again any time. Very convenient to freeway and restaurants.
Stayed here on a family road trip. The hotel was clean and nice. Staff was very friendly the beds were comfortable and room was quiet. Rooms are nice and location is convent to food locations nearby. Enjoyed the stay.
Beautiful hotel, looked like it must be newly built. Large breakfast area with good choices for breakfast. Super friendly staff and check out time was noon! Beds were comfortable, but my favorite was the large bathroom. Most hotel bathrooms are super small but this one was big! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
The hotel looks new, very clean and fresh. The room was great as was the bed. Everything clean and neat. And quiet. The doors have a slow close system, so doors do not slam shut. Staff were great, helpful and friendly. This is a for sure place to stay at again.
We had been traveling all day, and needed a place to crash before continuing our journey the next day, so we stopped here for the night. We chose the hotel because of the good reviews, and were somewhat let down. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, and we were able to get a room. Though the room was clean, the bed left something to be desired as it was not very comfortable, and kept us awake most of the night. I will say some people may like semi-hard beds, but I'm not a huge fan. Overall, this was a cozy hotel, but nothing too grand about it. Reasonably price, and when it came time to check out, the front desk gentleman was friendly and wished us safe travels.
I definitely recommend this hotel. We found this hotel not only to be very reasonably priced, but it was clean and had a friendly staff. Breakfast was good also. Hallways needed vacuumed but overall very clean.
Staying at the Best Western Plus in Texarkana, Arkansas, and this is Best Western review number 28. My, my, these are very nice rooms. Stayed in room 218 – queen suite with extra couch. Excellent value for the price paid. Beds are very comfortable. Bathroom nice and spacious. There are just lots of little things in the room that seem new or very well-maintained. Breakfast was good, concise, well thought out, neat and tidy in one row. Eggs were good and not watery (my pet peeve). Disk sausages were good. Biscuits and gravy were good. Had fresh fruit that was fresh. This is one of the better Best Western Pluses. 10's in every category. It's a keeper. Highly recommended.
Stayed here for an overnight and don't have any complaints. The person at check in was super nice and helpful. The hotel was clean and up to date. Would def stay there again. You won't be disappointed booking this location
Best Western in Texarkana AR very clean well maintained hotel. Easy to find and several restaurant choices near hotel. Staff was helpful and very professional. You can not find a better choice in the area.
Just happened upon this jewel as we had to spend one night in Texarkana. The hotel decor was beautiful, and it was so clean and comfortable. Erica at the front desk was so friendly and helpful from the get go! Will definitely remember this hotel when passing through again.
Hope you have a chance to stay here when traveling. I do whenever in the Texarkana area. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable and currently the rate is fantastic. Off the highway enough there is very little noise. The breakfast is always hot and lots to have. Coffee 24/7
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Property is well maintained, breakfast was delicious! Perfect! We stay here every summer on our way back from KY. Location is perfect for us, I-30 is right out front also restaurants are very close.
We had a very nice check-in with Erika, who went out of her way to give us a number of dining recommendations. Our room was very quiet with no external noises. It was clean, and our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a nice Best Western breakfast. We would be very happy to stay again.
We had a spacious room with king bed. Clean and neat bathroom, well equipped and really good shower with good waterpressure. Great breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereals, yoghurt, fruits, pastry, toast, coffee/tea and juices. Served in a spacious breakfast room.
This hotel was very clean and well equipped. It had the clean remote bagged along with extra pillows and blankets in clean pouches. The free breakfast was great, offering hot foods and all the toppings you could want on your waffles.
We drive through Texarkana several times a year on trips to visit family in Illinois. We always stay at this Best Western Plus. It has a clean, fresh feel to it and the employees are always nice. Fast Internet is also import for me to do work while away from the office, and the Internet here has greatly improved over the years.
Hotel had newer decor than most. Rooms are big and spacious, the bathroom was super big for a hotel. The only reason it didnt receive 5 stars was the bed was super firm and the bath tub creeks loud. Over all for a quick stay it was super great. Even got to see the trucks doing the bandit run.
We stayed only one night in Texarkana and the Best Western Plus was a great place to stay! The entire property was extremely clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great- which was wonderful since it was very hot and humid outside. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member. She was very kind, calm and helpful in figuring out our room situation; which was easily solved. If we ever would be in the Texarkana area again, or know someone who will be traveling in the area, we would definitely recommend Best Western Plus!
Comfortable beds, had everything we needed and was clean. Only complaints were the shower pressure was low and the shower wasn't installed properly so it creaked. Also the spare blanket for the sofa bed was scratchy and made of a strange material. Would stay here again.
Everyone was very friendly, rooms were clean, great experience. Will definitely be staying here again! Booked directly from Best Western website and it was cheaper than any other travel website. Booked and checked in within five minutes!
Always stay here when in Texarkana to play golf. This is a newer hotel with nice and clean rooms. The bedding is nice and comfortable. The bathroom is big and roomy. It has a little bar area but Ice machines only on 1st and 3rd floors so be prepared to walk to get ice if you are on the second floor. Fridge and microwave if you bring a "to go" box back with you.
Nice property in a good location easy to get to, friendly staff, clean and comfortable, a pleasant atmosphere with modern decor. the breakfast was well presented and a good verity of items both hot and cold, all in all a good experience.
Good shower. TV, fridge, air conditioning, microwave etc. all worked. Clean room with convenient sitting area. Mattresses fairly firm, but not as firm as I like. Bedding nice and comfortable. Plenty of pillows. I appreciated the bottled water we were given. Several restaurants nearby.
wonderful experience check in was a breeze rooms were clean, internet was great, didn't use pool but it looked clean and refreshing, staff was very professional and actually wanted to help and or assist you check out was quick and easy. i would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area
We always stop in Texarkana once a year. This is always our hotel of choice. It's clean updated and a great location. It's always a great stay at an economical price. The staff is always friendly and helpful
Very pleased with the hotel cleanliness & value for the money. In nice part of town with restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place in Texarkana. Easy access off the interstate
We chose this hotel because it was convenient. The price was reasonable. I was surprised at how nice it was. The room was great. This was a short visit so we did not get to experience everything there was to offer.
Beds are great, Room great, people friendly. Girl at front desk found my cell phone charger and I picked it up week later when I came back through Texarkana. I'm sold on BW Hotels as the best Hotel for the price and value.
We stayed two nights at this BWP hotel and enjoyed it very much. The property is very new and is in great condition. Our large room was extremely comfortable and the king size bed was great. The room has a mini fridge and a microwave. As with all of the plus properties, they offer a better than usual breakfast. Very nice way to start your day. The hotel also has a nice pool. We don't always stay at Best Western but we do enjoy the Plus properties when we do stay with them. This is a very nice hotel for reasonable prices and we recommend this hotel to everyone. Hope you enjoy it.
We made reservations ahead and the price was excellent compared to other hotels. Definitely one of the best Best Westerns we have stayed in. A great breakfast and a very quiet night. We will definitely stay there the next trip.
Stay here every time we travel through to Texas to see our Grandkids. Does not feel like a large chain organization, more personable and friendly. Easy on and off accesses before heading into Eastern Texas.
This was a very clean hotel. I was greeted by a very friendly clerk who got me checked in quickly. He did inform me when I checked in that the WiFi was not working which was not an issue for me, but I am glad he informed me upfront. I would stay here again.
We did have a difficult time finding the hotel...partly because of the new BW logo and partly because it is located off the intertate and our GPS had a hard time explaining the situation. The staff did inform us of the internet problem which we stated was no problem for one night; however, it apparently affected the TV as we could not get the TV to work. The only other issue was that the water pressure in the bathroom was very low. Otherwise, a very good night's rest.
Quick check in.out, great hot breakfast, quite environment for a good sleep. Price is also attractive. Overall the price/Quality ratio is much better to recommend others to stay. We definitely would like to revisit here next time when I pass through Texarkana.
I've found my new home away from home.... I travel all over the US and Canada and you can't beat this BW PLUS!!! All the comforts of home and then some. My room was so clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could want. A very quiet property even though it's right next to a Waterpark!! The breakfast was delicious and kept full. Very safe and well lit at night. There are restaurants within walking distance, too. Will be back when in Texarkana!!!!
After a 17 hour drive, it was so good to be greeted with knowledgeable, friendly staff and a very comfortable and nicely appointed room. We would stay there again! The breakfast was very good and so was the coffee!
It is always a pleasure staying at this hotel. Very very clean and a friendly atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend any other place and did I mention is was walking distance by the Waterpark. It is a must visit.
Clean, staff friendly, professional..Good breakfast. Safe parking.Easy access to elevators and business room. Plenty room for patrons in a clean breakfast area. Pool clean and easy to access...Air conditioners in rooms easy to operate and beds have nice firm mattress...Located next to large water park; would be great place to bring grandchildren....Overall, this is great hotel for the price.....Will be staying here on any future trips to Texarkana....
Last minute booking with a great deal. Was little skeptical at first because of the price. But extremely satisfied with hotel and staff and room. Would be more than happy to stay here again. Many restaurants close by
The hotel was clean & comfortable. The staff was courteous. The hotel is located right on the interstate which is very convenient. There are multiple restaurants within close proximity. Parking can be a concern if you get to the hotel late.
Very nice hotel, great value, clean, neat, good breakfast and friendly staff. Would recommend it to anyone traveling for business or leisure. Staff is effecient and helpful. Great local restaurants and close to down town area. I recommend Zapatas.
Traveled through enroute to visit family. The hotel is very beautiful. It's close to The Convention Center, too. The room was clean & cozy. 1 of the best I've stayed at in awhile. We'll stay here again.
Well-designed and spacious room, courteous staff, clean, good breakfast. It's a little hard to get to, but worth the extra effort. It's about two miles from central destinations. I would choose this hotel again.
The hotel is really quite when I stayed there. Co-worker and I stayed a five night stay in March. Clean rooms, bathroom and pleasant décor. The beds was ok, but I have had better. Breakfast pretty good. Friendly staff.
This was perfect I"ll stay again for sure, I was stuck on I30 for 2.5 hours and didn't get in until 11:30 and all was well, my room was beautiful and comfortable and clean. I was able to rest and all was quiet. I will stay here everytime I am in the area and no where else. Breakfast was a above average hotel breakfast and was perfect, good coffee, thank god. Just stay there you will be HAPPY
We were there on a saturday afternoon and they would let us check in before 3 pm. Room was impeccable and people in the place were very helpful. What else can we say when everything was great. Do not hesitate to visit this place, you will be amazed.
Our reservations were made and confirmed with adjoining rooms on the 2nd floor with our granddaughters. The clerk didn't find a reservation but did place us in very satisfactory adjoining rooms on the 1st floor. The rooms were very nice, and close to the pool. The bed was comfy, but on the 2nd floor there was someone stomping very hard back and forth, back and forth! I could also hear someone using the bathroom and the flushing, So this couldn't have been a new hotel or had no soundproofing. Breakfast was the usual fare.
We stopped here for the night driving from Branson to Houston. This hotel is clean and it has very comfortable beds. The staff is superb here as well. They have a wonderful hot breakfast with cheese omelets, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, fruit, waffles, oatmeal, cold cereals, sweet rolls, bagels and breads. There is great coffee and a variety of teas, juices and even hot cider! What makes the breakfast extra special is the lady who works there. She can't do enough for the guests. This was our second stay there.
Ok, so that might be an exaggeration, but I have stayed in many mid-priced hotels and this is the best. In Texarkana? Well, you would be shocked at the quality of the help, the rooms are nice, the beds, sheets, pillows are new and nice. The rooms are hospital clean. And their rates are very competitive and there are so many hotels in the market that I guess the rates are low. And they will give you the lowest e-rates available. The breakfast (included) didn't have deep variety, but the quality was good (omelette, sausage patty, biscuits and gravy, yogurt) not the typical powdered, tasteless eggs. The people are nice. There is plenty of parking. And it's easy off and easy on off the interstate. Stay here!
We had a quick trip and only stayed here one night, but it was great! We arrived late (around midnight or 1AM) and there was a smiling friendly desk agent waiting for us. She got us checked in quickly and we got up to our room in a flash. The hotel is lovely and the room was very comfortable! I recommend this hotel!
The room I was in was amazing. Fresh and clean with all the amenities you'd need. The breakfast was awesome. Best hotel of my trip! The staff was helpful and I felt like I was staying at the Ritz! TV wasn't huge but doesn't need to be in a hotel room.
I stay at Texarkana several times monthly. I've tried numerous hotel options in the area. None of the other options offer a better value for the money than this hotel. The staff is always excellent, the accommodations are first class, and the location is easily accessible to good restaurants and other services. This hotel will always be my go-to choice.
Check in and out incredibly easy. Room was very clean and well appointed. Price was VERY reasonable. I have stayed in a lot pricier hotels that weren't half as nice and clean. They make you find out maybe you can afford to travel a little more. Will definitely stay here any time I am remotely close.
Recent construction hotel on Interstate 30 in Texarkana. Very nice and spacious rooms with all amenities including a microwave and small refrigerator. Nice breakfast in the morning. Very reasonable room rates. May be hard to spot from the Interstate 30, it is set back with a group of other new hotels clustered around the Conference Center.
1. Rooms look decent 2. Floor is not that great and it squeaks 3. Complimentary breakfast was decent. 4. Noticed that staff behaves depending on people's race. They did not even greet us when we greeted them and also never responded to when we asked him to fill the pancake mix. 5. They greet fine when white people greeted them and patiently helping them
This hotel property was nice, very clean and affordable. I am planning to stay here again on my next trip thru. There is a great taco spot down the road, and the only problem I had was trying to get back to the hotel from there. You gotta take access road back north and make a U-turn.
When we travel to visit our daughter we usually stop and stay in Texarkana. We have stayed at several of the other hotels but never at Best Western Plus. We decided to give it a try. It is a very clean hotel with very pleasant, helpful and courteous staff. The bed were very comfortable and the Wifi was adequate. The breakfast was ok. Not the variety that other hotels have but it was sufficient. The only drawback was that they do not have an ice machine on the second floor. Therefore you have to go to the first floor to get ice. Also we did not have enough towels in the room and they are not the best quality. They are very thin. But despite all of this I would not hesitate to stay there again.
We usually stear clear of Best Westerns but many travelers had given positive reviews and 4 stars on Trop a Adviser so we took a chance. The room was clean, smoke free and was very nice. The refrigerator was making noise, so the Desk clerke responded quickly and unplugged it for us. We were quite impressed. The price was reasonable for a night to get some sleep and enjoy a hot breakfast before making the long trek back home. Best Western Plus gets my vote.
Great place with friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and housekeeping does a great job. The breakfast was better then most. It was kept tidy and stocked. We stay at this BW when we are traveling through Texarkana
Great location, just off I-30 on the AR side of town, restaurants nearby, great amenities, very clean, very pleasant staff, great breakfast, best value and nicest place convenient to I-30 we've found between Dallas and Memphis.
Very nice hotel and great service and good location of the Highway 30. kjsdfklsdjfklsajoifjesdfjsoijdfeoijrfdoiwejdoiwjdeiowjiowjudoiwjoijiojdoiwjdoiwejiojoijoiejruoirueoirueriop3uroiefroieuruejkskjjkjjksjjkhkjjkdkjfhjkfjkjkfjkjkkijk
I can not say enough about this place .. The staff are always friendly , This place always smells so good , the outside area is always clean .. We will not ever stay anywhere but here when we come to Texarkana .. There are 3 or 4 other places to stay right by the Best Western .. But everytime we book we always book at Best Western ..
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. The hotel was clean and the room was large with plenty of space to move around. The night clerk who checked us in was top notch and did a great job!!! The breakfast was good as well.
I had read the reviews and wondered if the hotel was as clean and friendly as the reviews said. Yes! The reviews are true and our stay was fabulous. This hotel was clean and the staff was great! The hotel staff was very accommodating and helped us a lot. The room was very large and had a small fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable and everything worked as expected. The location was fantastic as it was close to everything!
Clean, friendly and awesome staff, real good breakfast and courteous service. Thanks for a nice stay, will come again. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean!! This is my second good experience with Best Western so I will always look for Best Western when I am tralelling.
Nice place. This is the first time I've stayed in Texarkana and it was a pleasant experience. Friendly staff, clean room, and a comfy bed. What more could you ask for? The breakfast in the morning it tasty and plentiful with a nice variety.
The staff at this location was excellent. We were extremely pleased from check-in to check-out. Rooms cleans & décor pleasing to the eye. Breakfast was great. We weill definitely stay at this hotel again when in the area.
We stayed here on way home from camping, so hot shower and nice bed were needed. Good shower, nice room. Loved the little kitchen area w microwave and frig. Bed was HARD and we had a rough night sleeping. Very cold AC, Which we love. AM breakfast only lasted till 0930 on a Sunday!!! Really, we like to sleep in and that was not cool! Had ok breakfast. Would have liked more hot options that are not mass produced. Sorry, we are picky!
We stopped at this hotel coming and going to Ohio. Great staff, very clean room, excellent breakfast and convenient on/off highway 30. Far enough off road so no truck/car noise. Overall great value for the price.
This hotel was very comfortable and very clean and inviting, Would definitely use again if I were in the area. Very reasonable priced. I did not eat breakfast there however the area was very clean and inviting. This was a typical hotel continental breakfast but was very appealing and looked very good,
The whole hotel is very well taken care of. The staff (both night and day) was helpful and friendly. Ths room was very nice and clean. The breakfast had a big variety to choose from and was quite good. Reasonable price.
Walked in and it smelled so good. The lobby was clean, the reception was quick and friendly, check in was fast, the hallways and room was very tidy and clean. Large bathroom, microwave, mini fridge, TV, desk, arm chair, clock radio, large closet, iron, ironing board, and nice toiletries.
We arrived in Texarkana thinking we would stay at the Comfort Inn here. We got such poor treatment at the front desk there that we left and went to the Best Western across the street. What a difference! The front desk hostess at BW was professional, helpful, and gave us a fair room rate. The room was clean and spacious. King bed, large bathroom, fridge, micro, coffee maker, iron and board, nice desk and arm chair, flat screen tv. Hot breakfast and spacious clean breakfast area by the front lobby! We are so glad we gave up on Comfort Suites and stayed here. We would return if we pass through here again.
We were very impressed with this hotel. Just off the Interstate, but there was no big sign out by the road. Really nice breakfast set up. Room was really nice and ADA compliant. We were on a long road trip and this was probably our very best hotel.
Very friendly staff, and completely satisfied with my stay there and will stay there again when in Texarkana. The breakfast was delicious and it helped me get on to my destination. If you're ever in Texarkana, you can't go wrong at Best Western. When I'm on the road, which is a lot, these days, I always try to stay at a Best Western.
very nice hotel and good breakfast. staff very professional and helpful. but if noise is an issue with you stay elsewhere. road noise and people in hallway may as well be in the room with you. i am writing more because i have to get to 200 characters.
Rolled in on the motorcycle at 9 pm and the only thing left was a queen suite. Our clerk, Justin was awesome and offered to let us keep the bike under the canopy.we usually ask but he was right on it. Coffee was hot, the room was spectacular, clean comfy, and well appointed. The bathroom was large and spotless. Bfast was great and the hospitality couldn't be beat! A definite yes if you find your in texarkana AR. PS rate was under $100 too!!
This hotel looks fancy but not a fancy price. It was a little difficult for me to get off freeway and over to right lane quick enough to turn on road due to traffic on the right of me when exiting freeway. Typically there isn't traffic on frontage road but my luck there was when I was getting off so I had to loop around and try again. I noticed later that there is a road that you can drive down between the two restaurants just next to hotel. I saw a bus miss the turn when I was coming back with my dinner and he took that side road. Lobby and breakfast area are decorated very nicely. You feel you are in a more expensive hotel. The doors to all the rooms also make it look a little fancy as you proceed to your room. The room was huge. King bed and a chair with ottoman. Fridge, microwave. Large bathroom. Comfy bed. Very clean. I highly recommend this hotel.
Easy access from interstate with two good restaurant choices within walking distance. Impressively large suite rooms with comfortable beds and seating. Staff was very helpful and caring. Very clean property with good lighting around property, felt very safe on parking lot and out around pool.
This motel is one of the best I have ever stayed in while on the road. It is easy to find , has lots of parking , a pool , the entire place is beautiful ,clean with large rooms. Breakfast is good and service too. Check i n and check out is very easy with a great staff. we will return here the next we are here in the area .
Overall we were pleased with our stay here. Great staff, clean, friendly, and reasonable amenities. We could have used a better signage once off the highway, but we managed to find it OK. I would stay here again.
I have stayed in many BW's around the US. This is probably the nicest one I have stayed at as far as rooms and staff goes. The rooms are very clean, well decorated and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This location is conveniently located near State Line and the Convention Center. Thank you BW for a great stay!
This was my first time to this particular hotel and it won't be my last. The exterior and entry way were done very nicely. As well as the hallways. Made you feel like you were in an expensive hotel. The rooms had very high ceilings and beautiful doors and decor. The air worked like charm and the neighbor noise was non existent. I am not a breakfast person, so I can't comment on breakfast since I didn't go to it, but the eating area was decorated very nicely as well. The wifi was fast and easily accessible. I will be staying here again.
The hotel was great! The room was very clean with up to date furniture. I experienced excellent service from the staff. There was also breakfast offered, which was great for the price. I am rating this hotel as excellent.
Excellent staff excellent outside appearance Excellent Interior What i most love about this place is it always smells so good in the rooms .. We will always stay at this Hotel every time we come to Texarkana ! Love Love Love
We will continue to stay here whenever we are in the area and need a place to stay. The price is very reasonable for as nice as it is. Tommy is doing a fantastic job here. The staff is very friendly. Great location.
Nice new hotel conveniently located off Interstate 30. Friendly and helpful at the front desk. Everything was great. We didn't use the outdoor pool (no indoor pool) and although the hotel was busy it was quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
Came here on a pleasure trip and I was very impressed....4 yrs ago most of this land was empty lot...but they've done a good job filling it with new updated hotels. This property was clean modern well maintained nice rooms and friendly guest staff overall the experience was great. its a lil more expensive than the Comfort Inn down the street but you can see where that money is spent
We stayed one night traveling from Texas to Virginia. It was the most pleasant surprise hotel I've had in long time. The room was super clean!!! The remote even freshly cleaned in sanitary bad!!! The Breakfast was wonderful! Great value also!!
After an arduous trip though Tennessee and miles of road work in the dark with rain this was like an oasis to stay at. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff. Restaurants nearby without having to get back on freeway. Large room. Breakfast average but as expected. Parking good.
Clean, friendly, quiet. Front desk people are helpful and efficient. Manager was great to work with on the booking end of things. Really enjoyed our stay. Had a tour group of 35 and they took care of us very nicely. Smooth from reservations to check out. If we go this way again, I will definitely rebook.
This was our first time and it was an excellent stay. The only thing I could possible say is I wished I would have asked for softer pillows. The food was excellent, the pool seemed to be filled with kids and adults so I am guessing it was fine and the location was easy on and off. I recommend this hotel with two thumbs up.
Best Western Plus Texarkana is a very nice hotel with spacious rooms, and super clean beds and bathrooms. Leaving a clean TV remote in a bag in the room was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our stay there. Very good value for the money. Our only issue was with using styrofoam cups for tea/coffee at breakfast.
very clean, décor was beautiful. We stayed at this hotel passing through last year and chose to stay again this year. Excellent hotel, smells so clean when you walk in. Beds are comfortable, just overall experience was perfect.
The hotel is clean and it has nice rooms. They also offer a free breakfast i a good size area (not in the lobby like other hotels), something very convenient when you are on a road trip. The hotel is located close to other hotels by the road, although it can be tricky to get there. We felt safe in this place.
My stay at this hotel was perfect in every way. The hotel looks new, but is 8 years old. Very clean, well decorated, friendly staff, breakfast was very good, had an outdoor swimming pool, and very quiet. I would definitely stay there again.
I really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were clean and the pillows and bed were so comfy. I would most definitely stay at this property again. All the employees were friendly. The bathrooms are big and spacious.
we had a bad experience with another hotel in the area that was unacceptable so we booked a room at best western. the accommodations were great. everything was clean & we felt safe on the grounds with the children. we would stay there again.
Nice place to stop on way to north Carolina reasonably priced good selection for breakfast clean and comfy. Pool has an assist for handicapped. They were very accomadating at the desk booked online and changed one room from king to queens no problem.
This hotel is reasonably priced, the king suite comfortable, and I love the silver tone decor. The Internet is fast and stable and FREE. The breakfast is decent (also free) although I prefer bacon over sausage and scrambled eggs over the cheese omelet.
First time staying at this location but it was very nice. I am in and out of Texarkana every year but other place I normally stay at was totally booked. I can appreciate getting the chance to stay here by default. Very nice place.
I travel every month and stay at high end and also bargain hotels. This one fell way below standard due to cleanliness and the lack of attention to details. Hair everywhere, dingy pillows, food left in refrigerator from patrons before, dirty hallways, just to list a few.
Staff was very kind, helpful. Breakfast was excellent, One member of our family has gluten allergy, the range of food offered fit everyone's needs. From Biscuits and gravy , to fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries, eggs, juices, coffee. All very fresh and served nicely. Did I mention FREE? Our room was clean and nice , on two separate stays. One of the best hotel stays we have experienced.
Loved this hotel. I might have to find a reason to go back to Texarkana. It's a fairly new hotel in what looks like a new area with other new hotels. When you walk in the door you get an upscale, modern vibe. We had a king suite, with a sleeping area and a half wall separated sitting area with a sofa (sleeper) and chair. Large TV with a good HD picture, easily viewable from the bed area or the sitting area. Refrigerator and microwave. Everything was very clean, down to the floor. I felt comfortable walking barefoot in the room and in the bathroom. The bathroom was very well lighted with an exhaust fan. Wall mounted air conditioner controls and the fan was "always on". No loud thump when the air kicked on and off during the night to interrupt my good night's sleep on that comfortable bed. The breakfast area was large and well-stocked. Nothing "wow" about the food, but it was as good or better than other free breakfast buffets. If I could make one criticism...... such a nice hotel and yet... Styrofoam cups for coffee??? My husband and I took the BW logo cups from our room down to the breakfast area.
I don't know why but other hotels can't get handicapped rooms right but Best Western excels. We had had two crummy nights in other hotels before the night we stayed here. Our room was spacious, very clean and easy to navigate. This hotel appears brand new and nothing was left out. The temperature of our room was easily adjusted and the bed extremely comfortable. Plenty of pillows for positioning are available. Even breakfast was better than average. This is why for a handicapped person you can't do better. Even my able bodied husband agrees!
Our room overlooked the water park behind the hotel- if weather would have been nicer, we would have stayed another day and enjoyed that being so close. Room was very spacious and VERY clean. Very comfortable beds and very nice people working the front desk. Would stay again!
I traveled to Texarkana for business and only stayed here one night but this hotel was a great find. Super affordable and amazingly clean. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great the next morning.
This was by far one of the nicest and most pleasant stays we've had at a hotel in recent memory. We most always choose Holiday Inn Express when traveling but now will definitely seek out a Best Western Plus on future trips. We stayed one night and wanted to stay longer even though we were on the last leg of a long trip. This is a great hotel.
Just a good stay overall. The rooms and public areas are well kept, staff was friendly and helpful - pool facility was relaxing. The exercise room was clean - no leftover smells and the equipment in good working order.
I did a lot of research before deciding where to stay on our trek through Arkansas. We normally don't select Best Western chain properties because in our experience they are older hotels and not as modern as other choices; this may be different in the Arkansas/Texas areas. This particular property had wonderful reviews, so we decided to give it a shot. So glad we did! The hotel is very modern and clean. The two queen bedroom was nice, comfortable, and clean. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, iron/ironing board, and hair dryer. The hotel features an outdoor pool, fitness room, free wifi, and free breakfast. We were a lot check-in and early check-out since we were traveling through; hence, we didn't have the time during our stay to enjoy the pool or the fitness room. Breakfast was just fine; what you would normally expect -- a good variety of hot and cold items as well as a waffle maker. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The attendant at the breakfast buffet as very pleasant as well. Highly recommend! Give it a try!
Great hotel to stay at. Room was large and clean. The front desk staff were friendly. Last time I stayed at this hotel the front desk person was fantastic as she handled a booking problem made by Hotels.com
This is the absolute best hotel around. We plan to stay here passing through on our vacations every year. The rooms are clean and the staff are very nice and kind. The breakfast bar was very clean and had a good selection. I will be back!
Room was big and very clean. Enjoyed the outdoor pool on a hot evening. It was refreshing, since most hotels are indoor now. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was better than most hotels we stayed at on our two week vacation.
Very nice modern hotel. Good view of water park and nice pool outside. Located near several restaurants and shopping. Morning breakfast is good and filling. Get there early or sleep in a little to avoid the rush. Just an hour or so drive away from Shreveport, LA.
This particular hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are very large and comfortable and it's one of the very few places I've stay where the beds didn't make you feel like you were sleeping on a cement slab. The staff has been top notch. Had a small issue over billing but they worked on it and got it squared away. The breakfast is great also. You have the standard fare but they change parts of it daily.
Hotel was very clean and easy to get to. Breakfast area was clean and all items well stocked. Pool area was well kept. Only problem Wi-Fi slow Hotel is next door to convention ctr. Plenty of places to eat -- sit down and fast food.
Excellent Excellent Excellent !!! when we go back to Texarkana we will always stay here .. Staff: Excellent , Rooms : Excellent , Pool area Excellent . Breakfast was Excellent .. There was one lady working our first night and i cant remember her name .. but she stood out .. she was so nice
I needed a one-night's stay in Texarkana on my way home. This hotel is in a great location. It is very easy to get onto I-30 and I49/549. It is new, very clean. Staff is very helpful. There are 2 restaurants near by that you can get to via a side road and don't have to get on the busy highway. I would recommend this hotel.
We stop at this hotel every time we travel this way. It is our rest stop on the way to Texas. The rooms are always sparkling, the staff is very pleasant and professional (no matter what time we check in). The breakfast is tasty and filling. As long as they don't change, I am not changing my stopover spot.
This place was exceptionally clean, and well maintained. Looked brand new (for the most part). We slept well...and enjoyed a great breakfast. Definitely a nice area (walking in the morning -was able to wander roads behind hotel - nice to get away from highway traffic/noise).
The staff is professional and friendly. The facility is clean and always in good order The linens and matresses are most comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The bathrooms are large and clean. Always a good stay for us
Stayed one night on our way to visit family in Texas. Very pleased. Staff was friendly & helpful. The decor was very pretty. Our room, a king, was spacious & very clean. It included a sitting area, fridge, microwave & large bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Weren't aware of any noise outside of the room. Lots of nearby restaurants. The hot breakfast was good. Would definitely stay there again
We spent 1 night in 2 rooms on way back from a family trip. The hotel is new and spotless. The staff is smart and polite. Everything we experienced was above our expectations. The rooms are large and well decorated with beds with great mattresses. The breakfast was free and adequate. The people were gracious and organized. Highly, highly recommended.
No complaints- very nice! I recommend this hotel. And normally I would never consider a Best Western, but this one stepped it's game up. Changed my view and opinion on this hotel chain. It was clean, staff was very friendly, and the hotel smelled nice.
Very clean and a good value. The breakfast was excellent. There were many toppings available for the waffles, including fresh fruit and whipped cream! I will always stay at this hotel on when my travels take me through Texarkana.
We enjoyed our stay. Probably would have preferred ground floor. Didn't have a chance to use pool but it looked nice. The rooms were tastefully decorated. The bathroom was large and had nice toiletries if you choose to use them. We were on second floor but ice was only available on the first and third so I did a lot of up and down getting ice. We play golf in Texarkana at least twice a year so we will come back.
This Best Western was an extremely nice place to stay. I randomly picked it off the internet when were passing through the area on a family vacation, and I was so pleased with the property. Clean, comfortable, and very up to date. I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!
A wonderfully clean and updated property with courteous employees. Kind of unusual u-turns over interstate to get from TX to AR motels even though they were on the same side of the road. Great stop for all.
We always stay at this hotel when driving to visit family in Chicago. I love the silver decor, and although the Internet has been iffy in the past, the connection was very stable and fast this time around. It's also included in the price of the room - I didn't have to pay an extra $14.95 a day like the more expensive hotels gouge you for. The desk personnel were friendly, and the specific room we requested when making the reservation was saved for us. We had a King Suite which included a mini-fridge and microwave.
I was amazed how nice this hotel was for a Best Western. They have greatly improved over the years. At least this one has. Clean room, Nice view of water park from window. no problems. Will stay here again !
This is a well managed hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are laid out nicer than Hyatts. We had a king bed room. The bed was away from the quiet air conditioner. The bathroom was larger and separate with a nice amount of counter space. Wifi worked great. Breakfast was good. It's clean and staff is busy cleaning and maintaining this nice hotel.
Excellent experience all the way around. It was our first time using free points we had gathered. We did not do it like we were supposed to & could have possibly gone wrong. However, kudos to Jamel at the front desk for taking us under her wing & redoing everything to enable us to stay for free. I will not only go back because of the service, cleanliness, sleep quality & value, but also become of Jamel.
Great location. Front desk allowed me to check in 2 hours early. Accommodated my request for a ground floor room. Great location. Quiet. Great rooms . Comfortable beds. Very courteous and professional staff. WiFi service great. I could not find fault. I will be back.
We recently did a roadtrip from Atlanta to Las Vegas so we were on a budget when it came to hotels- that would usually mean a run down motel but the Best Western Plus Texarkana was the best hotel overall that we had stayed in on our trip. I personally thought the hotel was brand new and was surprised to find out it was over 7 years old. It felt like I was the first person to have stayed in the room, it was that clean and fresh. The main entrance was lovely and I was very impressed with the room. I could not complaint at all and for the price, it was a bargain. I would definitely stay here again
I highly recommend this particular hotel. Very polite, professional, and courteous staff. The hotel was clean and well kept, inside and outside. Parking was good, never overcrowded. I will stay here again when I am back in Texarkana.
We travel to Arkansas at least every 3 months to visit family. We stay in Texarkana as it is the halfway point for us. We stayed here for the first time as the hotel we used to stay in is having some issues (Comfort Suites/Choice Privilege Points may not apply). We are on the 3rd floor, Room 304. It is almost at the end of the hall. It is a very spacious king size room. Everything is well placed, plenty of plugs, lights, and nice size bathroom. The water pressure and hot water is excellent. There is a desk with chair and a chair with ottoman in the room. Microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator finish off the room. The hotel and room is very clean. We were greeted and welcomed upon entry. We will definitely stay here again. Total rate with taxes was $82.00.
The hotel was super nice and clean. I believe this is a very new hotel. Our room was spotless. And the price was very low considering how nice this hotel is. We paid $82 after tax. I would definitely stay here again. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, staff was nice. The hotel was very quiet.
The reviews here are correct. This is an amazing hotel. Not one complaint from me. It was clean and comfortable, fabulous bed and towels, and even a sewing kit. The wireless was strong, the breakfast good, the lobby inviting, and safe parking. Perfect stay.
I would have given this hotel 5 stars. It was very nice for the price. A clean, small hotel, in a nice area. HOWEVER, being it was so small and only one floor, there were several smoking rooms along the hallway. The smoke was so heavy that even in our non-smoking room, the smoke crept under the door and collected in the bathroom. When I complained at the front desk (of course I knew nothing could really be done about it, except to change their policy), the front desk person stood outside our room and sprayed a can of bad aerosol spray into the air. Then it just smelled like a nasty public bathroom. Seriously people. All hotels should be completely non-smoking. Most of them are. Smokers can go sit in their cars with the windows rolled up and enjoy their own experiences.
Very nice facility with very professional and accommodating staff. Breakfast was very good. Clean room with allot of comfort. was in an area easy to access. I would definitely recommend this property to others and plan to use it again when in the area.
Excellent staff, Awesome Hotel, I Highly Suggest Everyone Stay Here. Very Easy Access To Hotel. The Area is Very Safe For Any Type Of Stay. We Will Definitely Be Back ! Very Comfortable Beds,Incredibly Spacious Rooms.
Have stayed at this property several times before, and wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is without doubt the cleanest property I have ever used, and will continue to use in the future. This property is several years old, but it looks brand new, not a mark on the walls, and furniture perfect.
I liked everything about this hotel.....the stay, room, bed, staff, & breakfast was ok. They were very friendly & helped out with my staying another night or not. Golf tourney was not allowing me to know because if the team placed in the top 4, I stayed, if not, I wouldn't stay another night. They won but finished that evening and the staff was very understanding. I had to cancel the last night because I drove home after the tourney was finished.
We spent 1 night, but would have been pleased to spend several! Roomy elevator, room was large & roomy, even being a standard room. Bathroom was huge. Loved the space. Microwave & fridge had a counter & cabinets, not just an afterthought. Pool was nicely kept & clear. Very inviting. Breakfast was excellent. Spacious area made for group feeding. Well laid out counters, room for numerous people to be fixing food at one time, without bumping elbows. Newer facility, excellent motel.
I called and made reservations at the last minute to stay at this hotel, which is right closed to home. The check-in clerk was SUPER friendly. The rooms were very nice, and also very clean! I was more than satisfied, also with the checking in being so easy!
Honestly not one complaint, from reserving room to check out was smooth sailing. Friendly staff, clean, beautiful site, restaurants nearby. Waterpark nearby, Easily located.. Convenient, quiet. Safe, Great buy.
very good best western hotel. Rooms were large (we were upgraded to a suite) and very clean. WIFI was fast and free. Likely the best value in a hotel this trip of 7 nights in 7 different hotels. we will stay here again
Overall this was a better hotel than the typical Best Western hotel/motel. It had a much larger and nicer room and very large bathroom, with adequate amenities except for the lack of a hairdryer as found in most similarly priced hotels. We had two, double-queen bedrooms and one room had very poor water pressure so that my wife couldn't wash her hair in the shower. The other room had a problem with the tv remote control. The hotel has no channels with the cable service that are good for fairly small children. There was good variety in the free breakfast, but the food was not of very good quality, lacking in flavor (e.g. eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy). All-in-all it is a good hotel with a fine, friendly staff, but didn't warrant a five star rating due to the aforementioned shortcomings.
Very kind and helpful staff. The whole facility is very upscale, especially for this class of hotel. My room was very clean and spacious. I'm very impressed with the attention to detail this hotel puts in to every room: my bathroom had a tiny fabric repair kit..which I surprisingly needed badly. There was parking for my vehicle and this hotel is in a well-lit safe part of town. Close to the highway and groceries/food. What a great stay! I would highly recommend this Best Western.
I would recommend this hotel as it has easy access from highway, is clean, has amenities if needed (wi-fi, exercise room, pool) and is affordable (more so during the week, but weekend rate is competitive). The word "accessible" when describing a room on the internet means handicap which we have had in the past and did not like as we are not handicapped. All other rooms are very nice. As we have stayed here many times, we know the hotel. Once we had trouble with water pipes (or maybe another guest - not really sure) making loud noises throughout the night and another time, some rowdy guests were checking in around 2:00am and causing attention getting activities in the parking lot. But extraordinary events which the hotel could not necessarily have prevented. We get a good night sleep 95% of the time.
We stayed at the Mariott in Dallas after one night in the Best Western in Texarkana on the way and it was 10 time better, will be back again. Clean, updated, staff was friendly and it had a great breakfast.
Loved this Place, Of course it helps that it's new. Clean Room, comfy bed. The only thing that we had a problem with was the pillows were way too mushy. My husband couldn't put five together to make it firm enough for his liking.
When we entered the front desk staff was busy gossiping. Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows were nice, linens were satisfactory. Breakfast was limited the only fresh fruit was apples. Waffles were nasty. The room was clean. I hate writing a bad review but the most important thing in a hotel is the bed.
New hotel with modern amenities but the staff does not accommodate older people with mobility issues. When confronting the staff, it was necessary to alert corporate. Along the major roads in quiet location. Best Western, on the whole though, needs to step up their game. It actually costs more to book an accessible room with them.
My stay was perfect. I was in town for a half marathon, and this a host hotel. Absolutely great in every aspect from the phone call to book the room to check in and check out. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond. I even saw the manager on duty (Jeremy) make an ice pack for an injured runner. Absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend this hotel.
Comfortable beds, clean rooms, hot breakfast, friendly staff, great price...what more could you want! Newer hotel and based on the reviews on trip adviser, we stayed there. Now I am one of those good reviews.
Very new hotel. Might be a little hard to find without mapping devices since it's on the north service drive between the first 2 exits on I-30 in AR. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean. Plenty of easy parking. Standard breakfast fare.
Spent a night at the Best Western Plus Texarkana and it was great. If I travel to this part of the country again this hotel would be the first choice pick. The look of the property is up to date and the room was clean and comfortable. They have a good breakfast in the morning, and I appreciate the later check out time (12pm) in case you need the extra hours to catch up on sleep from driving. Highly recommended.
The rewards program and promotions are good incentives for future travel and the hotel themselves offering breakfast with your stay is a positive perk.. Most of the Best Westerns are about 2.5 stars, so not excellent, but do offer amenities and rewards for incentives
The room was dirty. There was hair everywhere. In the bed, in the shower, on the floor. Spoke to manager about it. He said he would add points to my account for inconvenience, still has not. Was hoping to have a more positive experience but that did not happen. Do not know if I will stay there again.
excellent front desk help. courteous and polite while being very helpful in all the questions we asked. Hotel was clean and the amenities were also, there were many hotels to choose from but this was very easy in access and parking. The hotel was also booked but never too noisy.
Enjoyed my 2 night stay, very friend staff, very clean and comfortable room. Would definitely recommend this motel to anyone staying in the Texarkana area. I will be staying here again if I ever visit again.
Was extremely surprised to stay in such a beautiful hotel for the price. The hotel is about 6 years old however looks brand new. Kudoes to the manager. They do a marvelous job on this property. The staff is exceptional
For the money, you will not beat the cleanliness or comfort. In Texarkana, there is really no other alternative but Best Western. For roughly $80, I felt like I was staying at a $180/night hotel. I will always book at this location when passing through.
Very clean. Looks newly remodled, with updated rooms and nice front lobby. Friendly staff. Managed well! Free breakfast. Prices were very reasonable. Can't say enough nice things about this place. A definite stop if passing thru.
Place is nice, clean and elegant. The rrom was clean with good smell and well decorated. Bathroom is big. Breakfast area was clean and neat. Food quality was Ok, I know BW can do better. Personnel was friendly.
We were very pleased with our phone reservation (very important to me). We've passed this motel many times and decided to try it this time. Our room was CLEAN and comfortable. The staff was very kind. It was a VERY good experience.
We stayed here on 3/5/16 for one night. The hotel is in a good area, with restaurants close and it's a nice hotel for the price we got it for. The only thing I didn't like was the the employee (Jeremy) was not friendly. I hate when people place my items on the counter, that I placed in their hands (credit card, drivers license, cash etc). My husband handed him, in his hand, his license and credit card and he return them by placing them on the counter. That is a pet peeve of ours. Also on Saturday morning I called down for an extra set of towels, because we only had two in the room, and he told me he will see what he can do, because housekeeping was busy. We ended up going in the hall getting the towels ourselves from one of the housekeeping employees, who was nice by the way. Because of Jeremy's rudeness, I will not stay at this location in the future. I will pick one of the others in the same area. *trip advisor this room was in my husband's name (D. Stout) just in case you don't see mine.
Hotel is new and fresh. Staff was helpful. The free breakfast was good, nothing exceptional but met our needs. We were just passing through and found the access to the highway to be easy. Rate was excellent.
We booked a room from the road using the BW toll free number. Upon arrival I was charged a higher price. The clerk refused to check with the manager even though I showed him the price on my phone. He refused to accept payment with my BW gift card which I had earned through the membership rewards program saying he had no knowledge of such a thing even though there was promotional literature for the program on the desk he was standing behind. He refused to check with the manager on the grounds that the manager wasn't on duty on Sundays. Before the registration could be completed he had to spend several minutes locating paper and loading the printer. After my key was finally issued and we had dragged our luggage from the car to the second floor, we discovered that the key had not been properly activated. Enough was enough and we demanded a cancellation. The clerk could not print a receipt for the cancellation and with a line forming behind us I agreed that an emailed receipt would suffice. The clerk was obviously very agitated about the line forming and the phone ringing and informed me there were other customers he needed to take care of. 13 days later the receipt has yet to arrive. When I phoned Best Western Customer Service the representative told me that all franchises are required to accept the gift cards issued through the BW rewards program. Customer Service stated that a report would be filed with the manager letting him know that. One would think that the manager would have made a call or sent an email to apologize, but no. This experience has made me rethink whether I will ever stay at another BW
We stayed one night at this Best Western. This is by far the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed at. The lobby and the rooms all look brand-new. Check in- Front desk clerk was very friendly and check in was a breeze. Room- we had a king non-smoking room. The room was very spacious and it had a brand-new feel to it. The king bed was very comfortable and all of the linens were soft. Our room had a seating area and a desk area in addition to a countertop and small refrigerator. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was very spacious, plenty of towels and special amenities. A room also included free Wi-Fi. Breakfast- breakfast was included with the price of the room. The dining room area was bright and clean and constantly being attended to. Breakfast consisted of an array of cereal, waffles, yogurts, coffee, juices, bacon, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal and pastries. Everything was fresh and the area was spotless. We encountered no problems at all at this hotel and we would definitely recommend it to others and day here again on our way through Texarkana!
I've been staying here twice a week for more than a year It is my home away from home! Tommy and his staff are very friendly and the hotel lobby, rooms, and grounds are always clean. The hotel's location is within minutes of everything and getting onto the freeway from the hotel is a breeze.
We totally enjoyed our stay (1nite) at the Best Western inTexarkana. The room was very nice, clean, and on the first floor. Check in time was 3PM but they had no problem with us checking in early.....about 1:30. Our refrigerator didnt work but the attendant offered to try to get compensation for that. I dont think she did. The breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts. They had omelets, sausage, gravy, waffles, bagels, cereal, milk, coffee and three different kinds of juices. The breakfast area was very nice. We are staying there again next year.
Stayed here with my wife Friday night while attending a family function nearby. Great location, incredibly clean, friendly staff and stayed in a suite for less than $80, all taxes and fees included. Highly recommend.
Needed a place to stay for one night so booked this hotel from a rest area 100 miles west. From the TripAdvisor reviews it was clear that this is the hotel of choice for Texarkana. Great place to stay right at state line. Two restaurants (Johnny Tamales) within short walking distance and dozens (including every fast food joint possible) within 1 mile. Very spacious, clean room at very reasonable rate. Adjacent to the Best Western are several similar looking hotels in terms of standards and fairly recent age (HI Express, Comfort Inn). While these may provide an equivocal experience, this BW is the best value. I had one small issue; they put me in a handicap room and when entering the shower, the tile floor was deadly slippery. My thought was that it could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
Very clean and updated. Customer service was great and did not have any problems to rant about. The Décor was very pleasant. I only stay one evening because we were traveling thru so I do not know what maid service is like. I bet it is good because the maintenance of the property looked like it is done daily.
The new BW Plus Inns are as good as or better than the Hampton Inns, HI Express etc, The staff is nice, the room was nice, they gave us a great rate, and the morning breakfast was very adequate. Just an all around nice stay.
Clean, new, comfy bed, nice breakfast, friendly staff, was a easy in and out check in. had my 5 month old along for the trip and she make it just fine. was nice to have breakfast before pulling out to our next destination. nice location right off of the interstate
We got a great rate here even as a walk-up on a Sunday evening. Very pleasant decor, in the room and the public spaces. Staff members were friendly and helpful without exception. Comfortable bed with high-quality linens. Breakfast was quite good and served in a cheery, sun-filled space. Restaurants within walking distance. Much better than we expected at this price point.
On a drive from Texas to Missouri, this ended up being the stopping point to rest for the night. Got a good rate booking last minute, was able to get two great clean rooms. The rooms are very nice, the hotel is very clean. And it is close to a little water park. A great place to rest your head if you need a stop when passing through.
This seems to be a very new hotel. Lovely lobby when you walk in, check-in was really fast. The room was great- big with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast room was lovely and bright and very clean. Would highly recommend this hotel. Only downside was NOTHING to eat close by that was even vaguely healthy or interesting, but this seems to be the case across the US!
Stayed there on a business trip on the way to Warren Arkansas, from Mesquite Texas. It is a very nice hotel, very clean, very friendly staff, very reasonably priced very easy to get to. I would highly recommend it.
I stayed in room 226 and it was clean, new, nice, and comfortable. Breakfast was eggs, biscuits, bacon, waffles, numerous cereals, oats, grits pastries, juice's, coffee and I am sure I am leaving various things out. For the great single rate I was very impressed with what I received. I would with out a doubt stay there again when in the vicinity. It will be interesting to see if the management of this motel can keep up to the high standard they have set for them selves in the price range they are charging for a room.
My Mother and I travel through Texarkana on our way to visit my Son and Daughter in-law (who had gone into labor 9 weeks early) at Ft. Polk Louisiana. We stopped for one night at the Best Western Inn and Suites. I booked through TripAdvisor and notified them I was traveling with a certified service animal in the notes section. Upon arrival the clerk had no issues with my canine service animal. The room was well appointed, clean and the beds were comfortable. The next morning before check out we decided to take advantage of the free continental breakfast. As I was walking up I was told very sharply by the kitchen staff that "Your dog can't come in here"! I explained that he is not a pet but a working service animal and is allowed to go wherever I go. She then told me very rudely that dogs are not allowed around the food and she was not going to let me serve myself breakfast. She then got on her cell phone and stood in the doorway. This caused quite a scene because a concerned quest spoke up for me and told her that she was out of line and that it was illegal for her to deny anyone with disabilities to go anywhere with a service animal. I sat in the back of the lobby area with my service animal while my Mother got my breakfast along with her own. When I went to check out the kitchen worker was at the front desk talking with the front desk clerk. When she asked how everything was I explained the situation that had just occurred and how everyone on staff needs to be made aware of the federal laws concerning those with disabilities and service animals. The front desk clerk never apologized or acted like it was a subject that mattered to her or to the hotel. I will never stay in another BEST WESTERN especially this one when traveling through Texarkana.
Staff were very helpful and check in was great. I thought it was a brand new hotel but was told it was 6yrs old. Rooms were very large and beds comfy. Hotel is spotless. A credit to the owners and staff. We would stay there again. ...............
Very impressed with this hotel. The hotel looks so fresh and new. We were surprised to hear that it was six years old. Comfy bed and quiet room. Walking distance to good eateries. Friendly staff......
beautiful, sparkling hotel, great decor, large room, well furnished and very clean; adequate workout room could have benefited from free weights. good breakfast (altho no real oatmeal), friendly staff. I would definitely return to this hotel; staff was friendly and helpful.
This property was impeccably clean and well maintained. The room comfortable and large and great bed and bedding, The breakfast buffet was full of warm options including bacon and eggs that were all freshly prepared as well as waffles, cereal juices etc. A very pleasant surprise for a weary traveler.
Very nice hotel!! Our room was very nice with comfortable beds and lots of pillows which I love!! Prices are reasonable and breakfast is great!! Will definitely stay next time we are in the area!!! Only thing that got on my nerves about this is that this hotel review has to be a certain amount of characters and really the hotel was nice enough that it doesn't take a lot of explanations so I hope this helps and hope that the next person that does a survey/review does not have to go through this and can leave whatever comments they wish!!!!
We had a great stay this time around. The property is clean and the breakfast was one of the best we've experienced at a hotel of this level. My only complaint is that the bed seemed a little soft for my taste, but we will likely stay here again since it is clean and has a good breakfast. The price was good too. Of course it was Christmas Day, so a pretty slow travel day.
excellent hotel and staff. front desk was so helpful and friendly. hotel was clean and décor was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. You will definitely be happy with the service and friendly staff that assist you. very clean and pretty hotel. Thanks!
The staff, decor, room - everything was very pleasant. We asked for a quiet room and that is what we received. Our room was clean and had everything we could need. The lady working check in on Christmas Day was very pleasant and helpful even though it was late and she was working. Our only complaint would be the sheer curtains on the window. The lights from a hotel next door were very bright as we tried to sleep and the sun was extremely bright the next morning when we had hoped to sleep in.
I wasn't sure about the Best Western, but this was a nice hotel. This is a fairly new hotel, with nice rooms. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. It was quiet, clean and well maintained. Price was reasonable. We got a standard 2 queen room. Bathroom was clean and everything worked well. The staff was very nice and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, nice place to land during a long trip.
I loved the location. It was close to the freeway and there are two dining restaurants nearby. I drove 5 minutes down the interstate to get food abd they had more options. The Wi-Fi worked ok. The breakfast wasn't too bad either. The parking was safe too.I would stay here again.
Always our first choice in the area. Customer service was, as usual, exceptional. Jeremy at front desk was welcoming, quick & efficient. Kudos also to sweet Ashley who was smiling & helpful. Modern decor. Room #124 was spacious & absolutely spotless. Fridge/micro, flat screen TV with lots of channels including TCM & free wifi with plenty of signal strength. Desk lamp had outlets in the base; hope they will get similar lamps for bedside so you don't have to pull nightstands away from the wall to access an outlet as I keep my phone on the charger & within reach at night. Other than that everything was absolutely perfect. Melted into sleep in a very comfortable bed with nice linens & lots of fat, fluffy pillows. Parking lot had ample lighting & I felt my vehicle was safe. Standard continental was well tended. Was delighted when business kept me in the area for a second night as I enjoyed my stay & will definitely return.
We were road weary from a long trip with 3 kids, so we were pretty open to anywhere clean...this by far exceeded our expectations. Large hotel, handled a bus full of elderly tourists headed to Ft. Worth and managed to keep the breakfast area well stocked and clean and welcoming
I always like newer hotels and this is fairly new. Nice decor and clean. Gym is small but functional, it only has three cardio machines, a bike, treadmill, and one elliptical, no free weights. Quiet stay and polite staff
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Good hot breakfast with bacon and eggs. I have always had a good stay here TripAdvisor says I have to have more words. What can I say. This is a great hotel and is my first pick in Texarkana.
Clean, beautiful, decor of our room was simple but elegant....Staff was knowledgable and pleasant, from the front desk to the housekeeping....Would be my first choice in this City. Breakfast (and Coffee) was good too. Exceeded my expectations!
My wife and I were looking for an inexpensive hotel to spend the night in Texarcana while passing through. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at any price. The room was clean, large and well maintained. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was above expectations with omelets, waffles, biscuits and gravy and a wide assortment of fruit and juices. The dining area was clean and large enough for the guests not to be crowded.
I give the Best Western Plus a 5 star rating, It was very clean and the rooms were great and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area to select this hotel first. The staff is very caring and the hotel lobby is in current style of 2015 and very clean, along with the rooms are comfortable and it is quiet at night.
Very nice hotel. We bid very low on a different site for this hotel at the last minute and it was accepted. Probably cause it was almost midnight. But this hotel is definitely worth the full price they ask for it. Nice Clean comfy hotel. Will definitely stay there again!
This was the second of three Best Western Plus hotels we stayed at during our TX trip. This was by far the best. It was a newer hotel, and décor was very nice. It was clean (except for condoms left in the drawer by another guest- I'm assuming the hotel does not provide those). And the staff was great- the manager, Tommy, was very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about customer satisfaction.
Out of four nights on vacation, we stayed at a Best Western Plus all four nights. This was the best one out of the three hotels we stayed at. It was cleaner, newer, with more impressive staff and décor. The staff was more friendly and ready to accommodate, and showed genuine concern for the happiness of the guests. The manager, Tommy, was wonderful.
The rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast is nicely presented and the small omelets are pretty good. It's a bit difficult to find the hotel (watch closely for the entrance sign on the right -- it's a one way road requiring you to cross the highway and back track to get another chance to turn down the right lane).
but once found, very nice indeed. The address on Google could not be put into our GPS. This is the second property that the GPS could not find, the other was in La Grange, TX - I would think this needs to be fixed, very frustrating not to be able to find your hotel in our destination cities.
Excellent hotel and I think a good value considering the excellent hot breakfast that's included with the price of the room. Was clean, quiet and everything worked as it should in the room. I will stay there again when I go through Texarkana.
Had the opportunity to spend one night in Texarkana, AR. We picked this hotel for a couple of reasons 1) Price - Great AAA discounted price 2) Easy to find off the Interstate and easy to get back on the same Interstate. Numerous restaurants to eat - even with in walking distance of the property. Was surprised to find out that the property was 6 years old - as the condition warranted a much newer appearance!
If you are in Texarkana, Arkansas, this is where you want to stay! It is by far the best hotel and the price was phenomenal! The breakfast was excellent, the rooms were so clean and comfortable, the décor was beautiful!
There was a fight in the room next door and in the hall. It went on for over an hour. I looked out and the Police were there. 2 hours later someone was beating on my door trying to get in. I complained at checkout. I was offered 5 dollars off my bill. I have stayed here before with no problems, but with the war next door we should have been treated better.
Very clean property with very helpful staff and an excellent breakfast. I hadn't stayed in a Best Western in awhile. If this representative of the brand, then the Plus brand will definitely be a part of our future travels
I will say this one f the best hotels Ive stayed in for the price in a long time. New remodel Nice breakfast bar. Clean updated rooms with plenty of amenities. I would say that this for the money is a win.
New hotel - excellent service - very quiet rooms/halls - excellent breakfast that included omelets, bacon, sausage. Close to highway and restaurants within walking distance. This was an outstanding value for the price.
This is one of the better best westerns ive, stayed in. The location is very good, being among several other hotels. My room was very quiet and exceptionally clean. The eating area looked newly decorated and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
It's a great place to stay just make sure the check-in clerk has read your requests! We requested the top floor, away from the elevator & ice machine. First, she put us on the 2nd floor; when we asked if the 3rd floor was available, she moved us: to a room the backed onto the elevator AND ice machine. Other than that, it was a great place -- clean, nice, well-appointed room, lovely lobby, etc, etc
This is a newer facility, and my room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the wireless internet was slow to the point of unusability. Better have a mobile hotspot, if you plan on staying here. When I mentioned this to the clerk on checking out, she apologized wearily as if she'd heard this complaint many times before. By the way, you may need GPS to find the hotel. I didn't see any signage for the street or the hotel from the highway and eventually had to let Siri give me directions. A decent BBQ joint, Naaman's Championship BBQ is nearby.
This Best Western Plus is staff by wonderful, caring people who go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with good amenities. The breakfast offers a nice variety of food.
Really delighted with the service and the room. A little farther out than we expected but we easily drove to wherever we needed to be. It's right near the convention center which wasn't being used at this time. We would definitely recommend it.
This site is quiet, peaceful and clean. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Because of the quality of service you get at this hotel is why we continue to use this site even with other options surrounding them.
Best Western has various levels of hotels so be sure to check to get the one that is right for you. This hotel was quiet and décor of rooms and hotel in general were good. Price was very reasonable and staff was friendly and helpful.
My daughter and I were on a road trip returning home to Indiana. We stopped here for the night for some R&R. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The entire staff was professional and pleasant. The only complaint my daughter and I both had was the mattress was a little too firm for our liking but you can't please everyone when it comes to things like that. I will keep them on my return list should we be passing thru the area in the future, especially for the price I paid.
Absolutely amazing hotel!! Room was amazing, customer service was awesome!! Amazing price as well!! Looks like a brand new hotel and it is convenient to get to!! Very clean and easy parking!! Our room and bathroom was huge and so clean!!!!!
This hotel was very convenient off the interstate. Be aware of the one-way frontage roads will force you to make some large loops around the hotel if you plan to venture out for dinner, etc... Staff was very helpful at check-in /out. Breakfast was what you would expect for the hotel. They were out of some cold items (milk, yogurt, etc..) because the supply truck was delayed. Rooms were clean and large. Would stay here again.
Awesome customer relations, very clean, great price and very good hotel. Will certainly stay there again! The staff is very curteous and friendly. The breakfast was satisfying but I did not care for the omlets. I would have rather just had scrambled eggs. Close to resturaunts.
This hotel is a one day drive from my home and it's where I stay whenever I am heading north to see family and the last place I stay when I'm coming back. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And the breakfasts are the best. I love this place!
Young woman at front desk was totally uninterested in her job & hardly looked up from her texting as we checked in. Room on 3rd floor was good sized, king bed. Sheets on bed did not fit well, a bit rough & bed needed extra coverlet or quilt. Bathroom could use better lighting. Back shower wall had a crusty dab of some previous customer's shaving gel. Gross! Towels were skimpy & frayed. Breakfast was adequate.
Wonderful Place to stay! Clean, rooms are large & clean! Bedding is great, the staff is friendly & helpful. Location is great as well. Staff is always welling to give great service, and help you in any way.
I enjoy my stays with Best Western. The hotel is fairly new so the ambience is welcoming and modern. I enjoy the room and the breakfast. I have not experienced any problems in my past stays at this locations.
I stayed here for one night and would recommend this hotel. No matter if you are just passing through while traveling or need to put family up for the night/weekend. Yes we were near the airport, but the jets could not be heard with the AC going. (I always have the AC on when I travel to reduce any noises. ) If I had to have a con about the hotel, the tub had an annoying sound when taking a shower. (As if it were cracking), truly minor! My other con was the lady who cooks breakfast got aggravated with me because I didn't know how to use the waffle maker like a pro. She wasn't very friendly. :( maybe she was having a bad morning. I still give it 5. The hotel still looks and smells new. The bed was comfy and the room was super nice. We got a room with a king size bed. The room had a fridge and microwave. There was also a safe available. The WiFi was a good speed so I could study for my Nursing Boards I took the following day. (Yes I passed) :) The front desk staff were very nice upon checking in and out. The breakfast was very filling for a complimentary breakfast. Waffles, sausage links, cereal, toast, juice, milk and coffee. It was good! Especially my jacked up waffle! ;) There is a pool out back. We didn't use it, but it was a decent size. Very close to alot of restaurants. We ate at Texas Roadhouse, which wasn't far. Close to shopping centers with chain retail stores along the interstate. And it was far to my destination for the next day. There were other hotels in the same vicinity. However they were more expensive. That's my take on Best Western Plus of Texarkana.
Summary: The Good - very clean, looks new, in great condition, room was clean, friendly staff The Bad - nothing that we could see The In-Between - the breakfast. It was...underwhelming. We arrived at this hotel at about 1:00am after a long day of travelling during a recent trip to the Dallas area. We chose it and booked on-the-fly using my phone while en-route. It had lots of great reviews, so we figured we would give it a try. After staying there we can definitely see why it got such great reviews, but we think there is also a bit of room for improvement, particularly in one area. Read on. Service: At many other hotels the night desk staff can be less than spectacular in their customer service, but that was certainly not the case here. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely friendly, polite, and efficient. He even offered us free bottles of water before we left to head to our room. I guess he could tell it had been a long day! Condition: The property looks to be rather recently built or remodeled. It is in excellent repair in all respects. The lobby was very nice, our room was beautiful and spacious, and the breakfast room was perfectly comfortable. Amenities: We didn't spend very long at the property because we arrived very late and had to leave relatively early the next morning. So, we didn't get to experience the pool or any of the other amenities of the hotel other than the free breakfast. Breakfast: This is where we saw the most need for improvement. We ate at about 8:15am or so, which would be right in the middle of the breakfast hours. I've stayed at many hotels with free breakfasts and generally know what to expect. Waffles. Oatmeal. Cold cereal. Juice. Yogurt. Bread-type things (muffins, bagels, pastries, etc.). Eggs (if you're lucky) and perhaps some sausage or bacon (if you're extra lucky). This breakfast had all of that. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either. The waffles were entirely standard fare, as was most of the rest of my list. The eggs, however, were some kind of pre-formed pseudo-omelet with what seemed to be plastic cheese in the middle. That, and they had the distinct consistency of rather dense rubber. We planned to return the very next night to Texarkana but elected to choose to stay the next night in a different hotel in order to try to get a breakfast that was not going to wreak havoc on our digestion, like this one (at least the eggs and sausage) did. So, I guess that says something. As long as you're content with a breakfast without eggs or sausage then you should have no hesitation about staying here. Everything else about this place was great. There are, however, other hotels in Texarkana with much better breakfasts for only about $5 more per night.
I have now stayed three times at this motel, with the stays being at least a year apart. Each time, the beds were excellent. However, this time, everything else seemed to function smoothly, too. For example, the first two time, there was an overpowering reek of air freshener everywhere. Not this time. On my previous visits, various this and thats did not work and the front desk was indifferent. This time, everything worked, and when I consulted the front desk as to dining options, I got quite helpful service. Even the buffet container labeled "half and half" had the real deal, unlike the creamer found last time. All in all, it was quite nice and a remarkably good value.
This is one of the Best value hotels. The location is very good . Bed is comfortable and the route room has all the modern conveniences. Bathroom was very clean and had a good shower. The only drawback were two stains in the hallway on the third floor.check-in was a breeze, very fast.
