Best Western Lakewood

Extremely dirty with a previous occupants hair all over the bathroom floor which was not cleaned upon request. Bedding also had a blood stain, which was replaced on request. If you're looking for a step up in quality I suggest finding an abandoned shack covered in feces and used needles. The price did not match the quality, should have been a $20 room/night.

We stayed here for one day/ night. The hotel is nothing fancy but the room was really clean, the area is safe, and the staff is really friendly with outstanding customer service, including the housekeeping staff. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

The motel was easy to access. The room was clean and large with a lot of space. Very nice. We liked that it had a single cup Kuerig coffee maker, even though it did not work. We had brought our own so it wasn't an issue for us. The toilets need to be updated. They are quite short/small not up to ADA standards. The concierge indicated they were working on it. There was a free hot breakfast offered, but we did not avail ourselves as we were visiting family and shared meals with them. Overall we thought the room was very nice and again we were impressed with the size and space of the room. The king bed was comfortable. The regrigerator worked as did the microwave and tv. We were very comfortable.

From the time of my arrival to check out, the customer service was professional yet warm, welcoming & friendly, The room was clean, the surrounding areas were nice. Even when I was looking around for the breakfast meeting room, I was greeted and given directions without even having to ask. Even the atmosphere in the breakfast area was warm & friendly; like it was a room full of satisfied guests. Everything was perfect; I have no complaints. After staying in a few of the worst hotels I ever stayed in, over these past two months, The Lakewood Best Western Hotel was indeed a “Breath of Fresh Air!” Thank You…

My wife and I completed a four night stay at the Best Western in Lakewood, WA. The hotel is the only one near the Lakewood Towne Center. My wife and I were pleased that we felt very safe while staying here. The hotel is older with outside entrances, but the hotel itself and the grounds are very clean and well kept. The staff at the hotel was very friendly, polite and helpful. Shout out to the ladies who ran the breakfast as they were excellent at keeping the breakfast area well stocked with excellent breakfast food. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the Lakewood area.

I loved this hotel... it felt more like a resort than a metropolitan Tacoma hotel. I needed a place for a business trip, this was the closest place I could find that also had ample parking for my large vehicle (one I couldn't put in a parking garage). I was very pleasantly surprised here. I expected it to be adequate... it was much more than that. Not brand new by any means but well run and maintained.

Service was great, room was SMELLY (smelled musty, stale, and a bit like there was a bag of old diapers hidden in the corner somewhere). This inn definitely needs some TLC. It's really not a Best Western, it's a converted motor inn... So don't expect Best Western standards. Our stay was fine anyway though. Water pressure was great, loved that there was a window I could open to air the room out (Thank God!) ... We were excited for the pool but there were no umbrellas or any kind of shade at all so we couldn't really enjoy it without risking sunburn... Hot breakfast but quality mediocre at best. Not terrible but still won't stay here again to be totally honest.

When we had got into the room it didn't look bad it was decent. We decided to go out to dinner and came back and started noticing how unclean the room really was at this point it was almost midnight. We discovered blood on multiple surfaces in our room. There was a small spot on our quilt, a tennis ball sized spot on the couch, and some that had dropped down the wall next to the couch below the window.

The service was less than stellar. The pool was not heated, the room was not cleaned. Beds were left unmade coffee Maker. Still had a pod in it from who knows when the last person stayed? I just would not recommend this location and I stay at a lot of best westerns despite far what's the worst.

came here for a night of youth baseball tournament. The checking in and checking out process was seamless. Great price. Great parking. Room was very quiet and clean, especially the carpet. Breakfast was good with 2 waffle makers, lots of bacon, eggs, sausages, biscuit, milk, Cheerios, etc. Highly recommended.

Pool was filthy with a whole bunch of trash in it. Luckily my son had a net that we used to clean out trash in pool. Staff charged me $250 and accused us of leaving a shirt and finding a chicken bone left at pool.

I enjoyed my recent trip to WA state. This particular BW location was super clean and maintained. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this BW to anyone in Lakewood, WA. This location also provided easy access to restaurants, the town center and access to the highway.

This Best Western is a historical landmark so that was a bonus. My team loved the warm breakfast selections and we all collectively agreed that this is one of the best experiences we've had at a hotel. The entire stay was above and beyond my expectations. The staff here are friendly and accommodating. They really do care here which is hard to come by nowadays.

Rooms were clean and the beds comfy. The pillows springy. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The menu changed every day. Did not hear the folks next door so we got a good nights sleep. Ladies fixing the breakfast were friendly. Would have no problem staying there again!

The staff was very friendly at the front desk. I felt very safe with the surroundings of the hotel. There was a good variety of food for breakfast. The breakfast staff was helpful in replenishing the hot water and making sure there was enough supplies. The shower handle that was broken when we arrived was fixed. The housekeeping staff supplied us with plenty of towels.

Comfortable clean room, easy free parking, very friendly staff especially Marianna in reception. Complimentary breakfast. Stayed here whilst visiting Mount Rainier, Elbe and Paradise Would stay here again.

Not for traveling family out of state . Looks like this place been freshly painted a lot , doors are jammed all the time because of the thick paint . Cigarettes smell inside the bedroom . Bathroom is small , toilet bowl so small only my kids can sit properly on it and I can't and I'm 5'9” . I didn't last at this place because next door is playing their loud music till past midnight. Started around 10pm so I asked the front desk , Alvin nicely called them to be quiet . Then it's quiet for a few minutes but started again . It happened for 3x . They starting to scream in their own language . My kids were just terrified and could not get any sleep . I decided to leave just because I did not want any retaliation from next door to further the situation. Almost 1 am and we ended up in another BW in Liberty DuPont further down to from where our place used to be. I heard that this place BW Lakewood been in the news , cars been broken in and get stolen . Such a hassle but glad I left that place soon …

Our room (non smoking room) smelled like cigarette smoke. The room felt damp as if it were extremely humid. Our shower was broken so we had maintenance guys come to fix it in the morning. We left before they left and when we got back late at night, 10pm, our door to the room had been left open the entire day. The maintenance guys left our door open from 12pm-10pm exposing our valuables and our room to spiders and outdoor cigarette smoke. When we got back that night our room smelt worse than before, 2 huge spiders had found a home in there yet nothing was stolen. When we went to express our anger to the manager, all she approved was a 20% refund. We spent over $300 for this awful stay and only $60 of it will be refunded to us. Not only we our stay awful, but they didn't even try to fully make it up to us. We are trying to get in contact to corporate to make things right. As of right now, worst experience of our life. Might I add, we had just gotten married and from other reviews, we were expecting this to be a good stay for us.

Good location in vicinity of Town Center. Great free breakfast. Polite service. This Hotel needs major updates. Carpet, and furniture was disgusting. Walls are extremely thin. No hallways; so the doors are exposed to the outside which can pose a safety risk.

Amazing stay lovely workers and great location for that area housekeeping are wonderful and my dog loves it there because of the people if there was ever any issues let the office know and they will take care of it

for the money the room was not worth it....we expected more ...expected a cleaner room...small details need repair....some painting needs done....clean the corners of the room....paint coming off wall in bathroom...

This hotel is old and tired. While it has basic amenities the condition of the rooms leaves much to be desired. The toilet and bathtub are from the 1950's. The toilet was very low and my wife had recent hip replacement surgery so it was very difficult for her. You can stay at a much nicer facility for the same price by going to the Holiday Inn Express or the Hampton Inns. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. On the positive side the staff were friendly and helpbul.

They go the extra mile I have stayed at this motel at least 10 times and never had a bad experience. They are kind courteous professional.I have no complaints at all ever. The staff was always smiling and you combine that with the convenience of it's location. They get a 10 in my opinion

The hotel room was clean and comfortable, however the hotel was an older building. The room was plain and simple, though spacious. The air condition unit, shower, sinks, etc all were in good working order. It seemed as though part of the hotel was rented out on a long term basis to some families. The location of the hotel is a close driving distance to restaurants and stores, though it did not feel safe to walk in. Doesn't appear to be in a good location.

I have traveled for work a lot and have stayed in multiple hotels in the Seattle Tacoma area. I have decided to make the Best Western Lakewood my main hub. It is in a great neighborhood located right by the town center and surrounded by upper class waterfront homes. The staff is extremely inviting and treats everyone like family... And for the nightly rate, this best western is easily the best in its price bracket. Everything from the scenery to the complementary breakfast makes it a true home Away from home.

The room we reserved was not available (they stayed longer) so we actually ended up in a better room. Everything is always very clean here. The front desk people are very helpful for any problems that come up.

Woke up after a nap to bed bugs all over the bed. Went to the front desk got a different room in a different building. Inspected the room and immediately found more bed bugs. Left and won't be back ever!!

I've been staying here several times this past year. It must be under new management. The staff is friendly and very helpful. So nice to have a quiet, clean and friendly place to stay. It's a pleasure to visit Lakewood, WA.

Kind of run down feeling on exterior with threadbare carpet and plywood covering holes in walkway. Room was clean, but drain stoppers didn't work. Awkward location. But clean and ok value for the money. Staff very nice.

Beyond best stay, privacy is respected, the staff is amazing and accommodating , no issues what so ever. Felt very Comfortable and welcomed from beginning to end I didn't want to leave! And I will be going back for sure!

Our family had a good time at the hotel. There was a problem with the swimming pool during our stay. The manager (Arly) was really helpful and took care of us. I have stayed at many hotels in last couple of weeks and this was the first hotel where we actually saw the manager and he asked us about our stay.

hotel was easy to find, easy to check in and out. rooms were clean, (our room was big) beds were clean and comfy. staff was very nice and helpful. we had parking right outside of our room since we had a handicapped room.

This BW was sub-par when compared the 6+ BW I've stayed at. This would be acceptable if the cost was lower, however we paid substantially more for this room and received far less in the way of amenities, cleanliness, functionality, and overall quality of the room. I would expect this standard for a $60 budget motel, NOT a BW that cost almost $200/night.

This property is in poor condition, the front desk staff very unfriendly, and “because of covid” you are greeted with what your breakfast is limited to. Unfortunately we have been traveling for the last month and this is the first hotel chain to still be trying to provide less than a typical guest would expect

Get there a bit early if you want to park you and your tow in the front parking lot. However lots in back and more in front on the street. The pool is a great playground to get away from the heat of the day and relax during the early evening.

The rooms exceeded my expectations. The pool area was nice & it's within walking distance to pharmacy, fast food & a grocery store. This hotel is centrally located to freeway. Customer service was great!

I live in same town as this Best Western, and rented this room for my out of town very pregnant daughter and son-in-law. Her comfort and safety was utmost in my mind and my own home is in remodeling process with too much craziness. They were up from out of state for a family\\old friends baby shower. It was an excellent choice and well worth the peace of mind for me to know she slept well and comfortably. Because I live in this area I am well aware of all the things one wished they knew about before booking anything. I choose Best Western !

Best Western, Lakewood, is in a nice area and is kept clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms may need some updating. We noticed a mildew smell that didn't go away, even with the windows open and/or the a/c on. The mattresses could be updated as well; we could feel the coils. That being said, we would stay here again.

Pros: Quiet and fast internet Cons: Cleanliness was lacking, bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Air conditioner was very dusty so it did not work properly, had to clean the toilet and shower myself because housekeeping/maintenance did not show up (front desk apparently didn't tell them that there was a problem with the tub and toilet getting clogged). Had to buy my own bed sheets at walmart because the ones that were in the room had blood stains and hair. Breakfast was a joke.

I've stayed here before and this time it was a let down. The toilet, AC was not working properly. We had two rooms and the faucet didn't work properly in the other room. The refrigerator did not work in one room. There was toe or finger nails littered up the steps to get into our room, never cleaned in the 3 nights we stayed, Stay somewhere else.

Alvin was a fantastic front desk agent and was above and beyond in customer service. Had a last minute booking I wasn't sure I'd be able to make. Made everything easy and even gave me a courtesy call I requested. Give him a raise, made me feel like a 5-star hotel guest! Will definitely stay here in future.

Desk attendant was very helpful, professional and courteous. Would def stay here again! The place could use a little updating but that didn't have any effect on the great service I received. I was able to check in after midnight which is not the case with many hotels.

We have previously stayed at this motel several times and have felt we would come back and have given it decent reviews. However, our most recent visit will be our last. Our door was very hard to open and was told no one could look at it for at least a day since the maintenance person was off. We fought it every time we tried to get in. A group started a BBQ in the parking lot to cook their dinner and basically had a fire going on the pavement itself with other charcoal and were treating it like a campfire. The water pressure in the shower was very poor to the point it was hard to rinse off adequately. I'm not sure what has caused this location to go down hill but it's definitely not the quality of our previous visits. We will now find other lodging when in the area next time.

A disabled family member spent over a month here while displaced from his apartment. The highest praise I can give is that the entire staff, front desk in particularly, and the maintenance man were so very kind and understanding of the situation. Due to covid the room was only cleaned upon request - we agreed on times when we would be out for a few hours. Bags are available at the desk so the guest can put their linens outside the door for replacement. Ditto, trash bags. Breakfast was in "go bags" since the breakfast room was closed. The only downside was the handicapped shower was such that it was impossible not to get lots of water on the floor. . .get plenty of towels!

The room was okay. But previous occupant seems like they smoke because the room smelled like cigarette. On the last night of my stay there was a crazy homeless guy that was shouting profanity cussing at me. I just keep quite not to provoke him. But I feared for my life and specially my car since he saw me going in and out.

It was great! The room was clean. The furnishings were nice, and in working order. The bed was like floating on a cloud! I read many of the reviews before making my reservation. There were quite a few negative comments. I experienced none of that. The staff was very helpful. The comfort of the room was perfect. I will stay there again.

Awesome friendly helpful staff. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Hot Breakfast options in the morning are nice since most places only offer granola fruit and water. I would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in July 2020 for 9 days. We had a nice room which was very quiet and clean. It was equipped with everything we needed- microwave, refrigerator, plenty of space to move and a nice big tv. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and our experiences have always been pleasant. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Lakewood/ Tacoma area.

Just got back from deployment and an even more depressing quarantine stay in the middle of nowhere U.S.A. My total purpose of this stay was to completely relax and shed the worries of military life away before I moved on to other things. I am amazed and thankful for both the service and comfort of this hotel and will always think of staying here if/when I am able to.

We have stayed at numerious Best Westerns throughout the United States. Generally this hotel chain is well rated with excellent reviews. Unfortunately during this stop - at the Lakewood Best Western - we did not have a good experience. The room was dirty, there was black mold in the bathroom and generally the room simply needed a good cleaning. I simply cannot recommend this hotel at this time.

This was the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at. Dirty, unsafe, incredibly old and the staff was so rude. Had it not been midnight with 2 kids I would have left immediately. Loud fights and such above us, people walking around drinking bottles of alcohol being loud at 2am. Horrible.

The room was clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly. The kids enjoyed having a larger room than usual. Breakfast included a waffle maker which is also a kid favorite in our family. We would stay again for sure.

We have family in the area and thru process of elimination have found that the Best Western Lakewood is by far the best and most convenient place to stay. Service is great, facilities are wonderful, and location is perfect.

A very pleasant and inviting place to stay. They have a very helpful staff at does their best to get you what you need. They offer clean, spacious rooms and breakfast at an affordable price. They are located close to shopping and restaurants.

My partner and I stayed at the Best Western in Lakewood for one night on our way to Portland. The hotel is in a good location and fairly modern. The rooms are a generous size and are well appointed. There is lots of parking available too which is always a bonus! We had a room on the bottom level and there was quite a bit of noise from the room above us. I would recommend requesting a room on the upper level if you are after an uninterrupted sleep. We enjoyed the breakfast, the spread was quite good and there were even hash browns. We enjoyed our stay at Best Western.

No indoor pool or hot tub, no premium TV channels, and it's not on a tropical island, sound,or mountain, so it can't get 5 stars. We just need a clean and safe place to sleep when we visit family in Lakewood, and it does check all the boxes mentioned in the title. I like the Veterans or Senior discount too. You can't go wrong picking Best Western Lakewood.

Nice king bed! Big room with nice size vanity. Good shower head. Keurig coffee machine. Spotless. Good clear TV. Breakfast so so. Lobby nice. Covered entry large. Easy in easy out parking lot. Not noisy traffic. I liked the obtainable pictoral maps of Tacoma and Lakewood. Fridge was nice for holding beverages.

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and odor free. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and understanding. Our room was perfectly maintained during our stay. Breakfast great as always.

We chose this hotel due to its close proximity to the Olympus spa (2.4 miles). We booked 2 ad-joining double queen rooms. Our rooms were super clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Great price, great location for our spa weekend getaway. This hotel is near the international district and there is an abundance of great spots for Asian cuisine. The hot complimentary breakfast was nicely appointed with many choices for every taste. It would be nice if the breakfast hours had been a bit later into the morning especially on the weekend, 9:30 am is a bit early to stop breakfast service. Overall a great hotel, great staff!!!!!!!!

We stayed overnight because we were visiting relatives a good distance from where we live. Everything was in good order. Pleasant receptionist, sparkling clean room, working wi-fi. Room included refrigerator, safe, ample closet space. No complaints. We will likely return there the next time we visit relatives in the area.

This Hotel is the best mid point Hotel in the Area. 20 -30 minutes to Gig harbor area and to Seattle Downtown. It is Clean safe hotel. the office staff could be a bit more knowledgeable about the area and places to eat and directions to places. Housekeeping was our best insight to the area. Thank You Ladies. The Breakfast was very enjoyable and the pool was Great. Grounds were clean and Beautifully Landscaped. Over All a Great Place to stay. Will be returning soon.

We stayed here and drove into Seattle..... traffic wasn't great! The room was spotlessly clean and we had comfortable beds! I enjoyed the area and we felt completely safe. We stayed three nights and it was a bargain. Breakfast wasn't our tastes, but they have waffles and yogurt so we were fine! There's a donut shop near by and a German deli and cafe that was good. I'd stay again!

Well, a buddy of mine bought Iron Maiden tix back in March and charged me with finding a hotel. The proximity of the BW to the Tacoma Dome was too good to be true. Couple that with a great staff, done.

Beautiful area, the hotel looks great, room was nice, comfortable, the staff were very friendly. Had some trouble with the key card, but taken care of right away. The room was clean, quiet. The TV was a tad small but typical these days in hotels.

Clean surrounding, great location, breakfast rocked. I was happy to have picked this location, I was close to the area where I lived in High School so the was a perfect location. Quiet location was easy to sleep.

This is a well maintained facility in a quiet location yet very convenient to all other services. The entire staff were very attentive to the guests needs and their pride in the facility shows. I have stayed here twice this year and will definitely stay here again.

Great room! Nice friendly staff. I like the motor style. Nice pool. I would definitely stay at this location the next time I need to be in Lakewood for meetings. I wasn't able to par take in the breakfast, but will the next time I stay.

I stayed at this motel for 5 nights, plenty long enough to give this review. Everyone has varied experiences. In my case it was 100% positive. Quiet, minimal noise, very comfortable bed, excellent wifi, superb breakfast and a very courteous, helpful staff.

This was our third stay at this property this year. Everything about the property meets our needs for family visits. The neighborhood is quiet, the grounds are very well maintained and the staff is always helpful. The breakfast room is light, clean and the food selection is very adequate. We actually used the pool on this visit and the area surrounding the pool is orderly and clean as well. We will be staying here again early next month for our 4th visit this year. There is only one issue that could make the property a complete 100 and that would be a change of toilets. The toilets are lower than even the usual standard ones and uncomfortable for those of us who are a little older.

The road to the hotel is under construction and I had to get out to move the pylons multiple times. The hotel is more like a motor lodge with exterior entries. They do not accept case for the stay and I don't think the area is that safe. Another guest reported a stranger in a beat up pick up truck checking out the cars in the parking lot.

Nice place to stay for a concert at the Tacoma Dome. Just a short drive of about 20 minutes. Hotels around the Tacoma Dome are $450 a night for concerts, but this hotel had its regular price. There was a lot of road construction around the hotel that made it a pain to get into it, but once you figured it out it wasn't too bad. Its an older hotel but it is kept up nice.

Our room was slope to the inside right corner. Strange because everyone looked new and I wondered why the hadn't bothered to fix the sloping floor. It threw your balance off just enough to make your wobble.

The facility is in a nice location. Appears to be at the edge of a residential area. It seems really safe. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. I had bacon, eggs, and hash browns. The hash browns had a little to be desired, but the bacon and eggs were good. They had salsa and diced avocados on the side. I have stayed there once before. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved how safe and quiet this hotel was in Lakewood. We enjoyed the heated outdoor pool - it was so warm. The breakfast was amazing - waffles, toppings for waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, trail mix, cereals, etc. It was a cheaper hotel, great price and we were pleased with our visit. There were smokers next door to us, and they smoked right outside their room rather than the 25 feet as all the signs said so their smoke smell was annoying. But it is not the hotels fault that people are inconsiderate and don't read/respect the rules.

We stayed there for 5 nights and couldnt have been more happy! Yes there's construction going on so its a little difficult at first to find your way in but after that it was easy. The rooms are remodeled and very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly! The breakfast has ALOT to offer! And the breakfast area is big! The grounds are very nice and well taken care of. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel!

We have stayed here twice in the last three months. Both times were comfortable, clean rooms and bedding, and the food was great. The staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile. The contruction of the road out front is a bit of a pain, but well worth the inconvenience. Great value.

We stayed at the BW - Lakewood needing a handicap accessible room with two queen beds for myself and my mother. When I got the confirmation email, I noticed that it said “1 Queen”. I called to make sure it was two queen beds and they said it was only one. I asked for a handicap accessible room with 2 queen size beds but they didn't have any. My main issue was the bathroom size since my mother is in a wheelchair/transport chair. I was told that the “only difference” in the handicapped accessible bathrooms and the other rooms was the walk-in shower. With that being said, I booked the room. When we arrived, my mother got in her transport chair and went to use the bathroom. It was TINY! The transport chair would NOT even fit in through the doors! During our stay, I had to lift her from outside the bathroom to the toilet then vice versa when she was finished. This was completely embarrassing for her and for me to some extent. It was definitely a bit awkward, not to mention a significant safety issue if she had fallen and/or been dropped since she has recently had upper spinal surgery! If the size of the rooms that are handicapped accessible are, in fact, the same size, then I can assure you that it does not meet ADA standards.

It was a little hard to get to due to construction nearby, but it looked like that would finish soon. The room had a keurig coffee machine. Comfy bed, very nice towels and linens...we slept very well.

First, I have never been more upset or disappointed with a hotel stay as I am with your hotel. I routinely stay in a hotel once or twice a month for work. Normally, I have stayed at the Marriott Townplace Suites in Lakewood. I decided to give you a try because of your rates and because you have a small workstation available in your rooms. I have stayed there a total of 9 times in the past 4 months without incident. I checked in a bit after 11 a.m. on Thursday June 6th. Your front desk person Araceli helped me get checked into room 283. She explained it was at the back of the hotel away from the construction noise and that it was indeed private. I checked into my room (after several attempts to unlock the door). My stay was quiet as expected and that was that. Until Friday June 7th my checkout date. First, at 8:30 a.m. two females woke me by attempting to rattle the door (I am assuming to get in) and then proceeded to knock. I explained to them they had the wrong room and they left. Then around 10:30 a.m. I was coming out of the shower (with no clothes on) and an elderly woman was in my room! She had been at the door, I assumed it was housekeeping and that they would see my stuff was still in the room and leave. That was not the case. It was VERY, VERY embarrassing for both of us, I am sure. She explained that she was moving rooms and was trying to get into her room but that I was in her room. I told her that I was checking out shortly and that the room wasn't available, nor had it been cleaned for her. I then go to the front desk just before 11 a.m. to check out (even though I had automatic checkout). As I am in the lobby waiting for Araceli to get off of the phone, the elderly woman walked in and I saw on her key card envelope that she had room 283 (the same room I was in). I offered to let her go first (because when she entered my room, she had a walker). She said it would take awhile for her issue and I explained the situation to Araceli. She told me that I was incorrect in my room number 283 because she looked it up and it showed the room empty. I assured her it was not. She asked for my last name and then told me that I was in room 238 and treated me as if I was wrong. I told her that I was in fact in room 283 and that she is the one who checked me in, programmed my keys and wrote the room number on the key card envelope. I had even saw her earlier (after being woken up) when I went to breakfast (which was fine by the way) and has asked her if there was a trick into getting into the room because I attempted several times to get into my room. She said she would send a maintenance person, but explained to me that sometimes you have to pull the door shut and then put the key in. It did work, but it would have been nice to know there was a trick to getting into the room in the first place. What upset me the most is how I was treated when I went to check out (like it was my fault) and then she offered no apology. I think she was more interested in figuring out how she made a mistake than taking care of me and apologizing. The poor elderly lady was also very upset. So, here I am writing to you. My first instinct was to write bad reviews online (TripAdvisor, FB, Google, etc) so that if this is routine that others won't have to be subjected to this poor service. I also thought about directly contacting Best Western since this was my first stay. But, as a manager, I would want to know first if my team or employees drop the ball on servicing the customer. So, this is me giving you that opportunity. FYI, this was the first email I sent. I sent three. 1) June 7 @ 3:54pm (no reply) 2) June 8 @ 4:37pm (no reply) 3) June 10 @ 7:00pm (no reply) Then I went to phone calls: 1) June 11 @ 4:04 pm (manager Asukas not in, left message) 2) Jun 12 @ 3:34 pm (manager not Asukas not in again, had left for the day. Leslie informed me that she had been in and out the past few days but would return my call. I told her that I had sent 3 emails and this was the 2nd time I had called. She assured me she would call me the next day. She did not) I held off on doing the Best Western survey, but finally after a week and 5 attempts at communication, I felt I had to leave them a bad review. Next, I will be leaving reviews on Trip Advisor, Best Western main site, Yelp, Google and any others that I find. Absolutely ridiculous that Asukas cannot return a call or email and offer an apology.

If you can stay elsewhere, do it. While the staff was okay (not overly friendly or welcoming), the room smelled, bathtub had mildew around it, and there was hair (not mine) on the "fresh, new" towels.

We spent a week in the area and stayed at this hotel. It is a more 'vintage style' hotel - outside doors,small window in the bathroom for ventilation, a bathroom heat lamp. The room was immaculate, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the layout of the room was very good. The breakfast was adequate with lots of choices both hot and cold, and lots of seating. Of course, the rate was reasonable. We felt the reason for the lower rate at this hotel was becuase the street was completely torn up in front of the hotel, making access very difficult. Additionally, large, noisy construction equipment with back up alarms showed up with workers at 7:15AM on weekday mornings, so sleeping late was not on the agenda!

Our stay was for our granddaughter's graduation from Pacific Lutheran University. We were a little concerned as there were 3 high school track teams at the same motel. However, there was no problem such as noise or rowdiness. It was a great place even though the city had the access road ripped up and signage getting into the entrance was poor. The manager explained that he has asked for better signage and improved access but the city has not cooperated. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.

I stayed at this hotel on my own for the first time. I got my reservation through Groupon. I got there got all checked in, went to my room and showered and just crashed. It was a nice room. The next morning I got up and tried to make coffee, and there was issues with my coffee maker I reported it to the front desk and they asked if it was ok if someone went into my room while I wasn't there and replaced it. I thought that was really nice. I also always travel with a teddy bear, and each day when I came back, something fun and nice had been done to him while he was sitting on my bed. I thought that was really cute.

After a long trip and having had a very positive impression on Best Western hotels me and my wife arrived at the Best Western Hotel at Lakewood tonight and asked if there was room availability. The female receptionist did not answer and in a rude manner adked ffor our ID. I explained to her that she should tell us if there is a room available before I would show her my ID. Then she replied that there is, but she would not give us the room we could find on the official best western page. Instead of explaining us why, she told us that if we did not like it, we should look somewhere else. So we left the hotel. I am a rewards member and became one due to the positive impression I have got from these hotels and from their staff. Unfortunately people behaving like this ruin this image and force customers to go.

This was a last minute choice and it should have been my first. It was great and will definitely be first choice when in that area again. We had tried another place before coming to this location and we were so very glad we did. Location was quiet, rooms were very lean and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

This property is a bit off the main path and older. They met our request of a main floor room, but it does have outside doors. Room was large with two queen beds, very clean and quiet. Reasonably priced.

Upon checkin, the desk clerk was very helpful and let me pick out my own room. She was happy to give me the necessary information to have pleasant stay and the continental breakfast. The room was very nice and larger size towels. The one cup coffee maker was Tully's brand. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. Plenty of counter, shelf and table space. The surrounding area had a variety of restaurants and fast food. I will be staying here again!

Stayed at this hotel 6 years ago. It was before the remodel. It was ok. BUT THIS TIME it was amazing. They have newly remodeled rooms, newly renovated exterior, and a GREAT breakfast! They had omelettes, bacon, potatoes, waffles, cereal, various different types of bread, whole and 2 percent milk, almond milk, yoghurt and Greek yoghurt, orange and apple juice, fruit, coffee, oatmeal, and more! The staff were attentive friendly and helpful. All around great experience.

You won't find a better hotel for your money! Great staff, excellent breakfast and the large room was very comfortable. A hotplate and you could easily live in the large suites. Spend a few extra bucks and get the full size suite. It's perfect!

Best quality and value in the Lakewood area! Have stayed here many times and always treated like family. Location is away from freeway noise but easy access to/from freeway. Fred Meyer and Walmart 5 mins away.

Over all the room was clean and everything was well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful other than a small lack of communication what booking a little overpriced for the amenities and room size but not awful. I was dissapointed that when i reserved my room over the phone i was not informed of a $100 on my debit card solely because I was paying with a debit card, I am told that it will be returned after house keeping clears the room. fine whatever. still annoyed that I was surprised with the hold and the reasoning. we only stayed one night and check out was at 11:00 so I was not super happy that housekeeping came knocking at 10:00am. not the worst thing in the world and would nit have bothered me whatsoever if I was staying more than one night. I would stay again but definitely not going to spring for the king size being it was so much more than the queen but only real difference is the bed size

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I found myself requiring a temporary place to reside. Lakewood Motor Inn did a fantastic job of making a difficult time easier. The room was clean, pleasant and quiet. The continental breakfast provided a good selection of hot and cold options. Due to the location being near a significant shopping center, meals away from the hotel were convenient with a gamut of selection of cuisine . And one of my favorite things for me was the knitting shop (The Sock Peddler) right across the street. I learned to knit during my stay. Doesn't get better then that. :)

Be prepared at check in with your vehicle information. Room was nice, but I wasn't thrilled with the the bathroom sink connected to the room without a door to shut out listening to people brushing their teeth or washing hands while trying to squeeze in a few extra minutes of sleep. Hotel staff was professional and rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Quiet neighborhood but easy to get to wherever you need to.

This hotel is a little pricer than the ones near the mall or interstate. Advantages : less noise, better parking, less traffic driving by and I felt safer,They have signs "NO SMOKING within 25 feet of the doorway" So there was no problem walking outside and walking into someone's cloud.

I haven't stayed in one of these types of motels for several years. It's the old style, with external corridors, front window on the corridor, and one tiny bathroom window on the back. The result is almost no light gets in, and if you don't want people looking in who are walking down the corridor, then you keep your drapes shut tight. I'd forgotten what that was like! Unfortunately, the light bulbs are all dim, even the one over the reading chair; the exception as the lights over the sink which are very bright. The single double bed was comfortable, the internet was very quick, and the roomed was cleaned just fine. A strong effort has been made to refurbished this older style motel and mostly in has been done fine. I had a comfortable 4 nights. Signs of refurbishment: toilet tips slightly side-to-side and door has to be slammed very hard to lock when you leave. Place was not hardly busy at all for this weekend; breakfast buffet was "cold," but could get waffles, instant oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs. I probably would not bring my wife here for a romantic weekend away.

Came down for a Golf Trip at Chambers Bay in early September. The hotel is a short drive tot he amazing Chambers Bay. We stayed there is we wanted to be close to main street for dinners at night. the room was newly renovated and the staff were very friendly from front desk to housekeeping! The pool looked great for a swim after golf and before we headed out for a nice dinner downtown. We will definitely stay on our next trip down.

Stayed as a first night on a trip to Mt. Rainier National Park. Far enough from the airport area to have some calm, close enough to be a comfortable drive after a long day flying. Very clean and quiet, nice large room and bathroom (had a king room). Great breakfast, open good hours (we made it to the Park by 9:00). Best part is it's a direct drive to the Longmire entrance. No interstate traffic, just beautiful forest, small towns and rolling hills. Vacation started as soon as we checked in.

Rooms were quite pricey for the size of the room. The room was dark, but I liked the see through drapes that were not see in! The pool is a real draw if you have kids! The flowers and landscaping was glorious!

We stayed here again. As always, front desk staff were friendly and professional. Room was clean, spacious and affordable. Hot coffee and breakfast items available every day. Enjoy the location, close to where we want to go in Lakewood. Will be back!

This a great hotel to stay at, really clean from the lobby to the rooms. The employees are all helpful and friendly who make your stay very welcoming and relaxing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly place to stay at.

We spent a weekend for a family get together on August 4th and stayed for a night. We were very pleased with our stay and the room was very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only negative was the first clerk that started to check my wife in when we arrived at 2:30. My wife said she was very rude, wish we would have gotten her name. But my wife said a second employee showed up and took over checking us in and she was very pleasant and enjoyable to work with.

Friendly staff, great rooms, great breakfast. The beds were comfortable, clean room with everything working properly. Nice TV, nice desk to work at. Large room, plenty of space. I would definitely stay there again.

If you have a young family and are on a budget, this is definitely worth a look at when trying to plan your trip. Rooms were actually quite spacious and very clean and quite, even though we close to a busy street. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The outdoor heated pool will keep your kids entertained and definitely tire them out. The breakfast was very filling. It is a Continental breakfast, but the choices were vast. There was oatmeal, 3 different cereals, different types of toast and pastries, hardboiled eggs and egg sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, and waffles. There was a full coffee bar, plus juice and milk. We were quite surprised with the value of this hotel.

I am extremely satisfied with Lakewood Best Western. I'll recommend it to others and I will definitely comeback. Great, great staff. I thought about it... It might be a great management. (Actually, it cross my mind to ask for the manager to just say how great is his/her team) The staff is great!!!!! from the reception, to the girls at the breakfast, to the ladies to clean the room, to the gardener. All are very helpful, and friendly., great customer service, clean, well maintained hotel. The room was updated look with all amenities. Microwave, small fridge, iron and its table, hair dryer, coffee machine with great coffee and tea, lots of towels. Clean 5/5. AC working and new. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. The breakfast area, updated, clean, organized with yummi and healthy breakfast options. All fresh and tasty. The coffee is great at the breakfast, the reception and in the rooms. There is clean laundry room. Ice Machine working. I had great experience. Great job Love you guys(ladies) :)

This is where we spent our first night on our Pacific Northwest road trip. It was a motel style Best Western with exterior doors. The rooms were large and very clean. The clerk at the front desk was very pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast room was extremely large, there were plenty of choices and there was plenty of seating. For security, we needed to use our room key to access the breakfast room, ice, etc. I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through.

It seems like there has been some updating of rooms recently. We were very impressed with the amount of space in the rooms. Separate shower and sink area. In room coffee pot, microwave and fridge which are a huge plus. This is in a quite area so you are able to get out and walk. The continental breakfast was a great value. Plenty of options for everyone. There was an outdoor pool but we were not able to use it this visit. The rooms do have exits directly out to the parking lot but it was very quiet and our sleep was not disturbed at all. Would recommend for a clean, quite, affordable stay.

This hotel has been wonderful for me and my family. I am in the cleaning industry and I look at all aspects of a hotels cleanliness. The first place I check is curb appeal, and then the lobby during check in. Lakewood is always clean, and the rooms are as well. Each time we have stayed the rooms have been clean, and that is so important. I have had no issues with any part of this hotel. The staff are great, We are always made to feel welcome. The breakfast is good, no reason you should leave hungry. When we travel to this area, The Lakewood hotel is our go to place. I know what I am getting and I can count on great service when I arrive.

This has all you need in a friendly and safe environment . It is a good value for your dollar. The staff are excellent and attentive. The internet works, and the breakfast is nicely presented in an adjacent room to the hotel. It was nice to see more fresh fruit presented this time than in the past. The hotel has an outdoor pool, that I haven't used, and doesn't have a gym, but the rooms are spacious and the grounds are nice to walk around on. I like the location of this hotel, as it is not right on the freeway.

I reserved 6 rooms for the judging and officials staff for a local horse show club for a show in Spanaway, WA. All our judges and officials were very pleased with this hotel and said that the staff was courteous and helpful, hotel was clean, and it had great amenities like microwaves, etc., in room. The area the hotel is located in was safe and quiet-and that was very appreciated. A big thank you to manager Jackie who helped us get it all organized-we will be using this hotel for shows in the future. Thanks again!

Make sure you have staff check room and document any damage before you sign! They charge $100 deposit, who knows when charge gets reversed on your card, housekeeping decides whether you left room

Since when does a hotel charge a $100 "deposit" which the housekeeper decides if you left the room clean, and the charge hopefully gets reversed "in a day or two?" I was fuming! I almost demanded hotel desk person go with me upon check in to note all scratches, door dings etc before I allowed a charge on my credit card. How is anyone to know if they blame you for damage that was already there? WTH! I've stayed at many best westerns never had this policy crap before. I didn't sleep I was mad! And it's a nasty dump of all the BW's I've stayed at; BW should drop this property it really degrades their image!

Key to room never worked for 4 night stay. Reported at check-in and they actually declined to give us another room, said it was probably just a battery. Then the repairman said someone would be by in 2 days. It wasn't, they weren't that crowded. So we carried around 2 keys that NEVER worked.

I didn't realize this was a motel style hotel, with all guest rooms facing outdoors. I was worried about the quality of the hotel when I pulled into the parking lot at 10pm. However, the room was quiet, clean, and had a small refrigerator and microwave. My single queen room was spacious. I slept well and enjoyed the breakfast. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

This is a awesome hotel to stay at while visiting the area. Hotel is in a prime spot close to everything. The Hotel is clean, comfortable, and a great deal for the price. The staff are amazing. Always going above and beyond to make your stay the best. Full breakfast offerings and internet is included in the price.

Had the chance for some local R&R and I chose the place. It's in s busy area with homes and businesses but not too loud. It is close to everything; food, attractions,shopping, grocery stores and #houseofdonuts.?? The room was tidy for the most part--see pictures of bed. There wasn't a bunch of noise. There was plenty of hot water & clean towels and the Wi-Fi was free. I had the breakfast once. The standard cereal, milk, muffins, yogurt, waffles and coffee. The attendant was busy keeping the place clean and stocked. I left a very sentimental item and there wasn't any problem when I went back to get it. The check-in staff were courteous and professional. I observed a few other customer check-ins and they were consistent. All in all, a good place to stay.

Not up to Best Western reputation and norms. Misersble morning staff, leaking plumbing, telephone didn't work, heater wasn't functioning properly, television volume and reception was glitchy, missing furniture - was NOT the Deluxe room booked and charged for to be sure!!!

The room was a good size and nice. Staff was very friendly. We stayed for almost two full weeks. It felt like home. The only problem that occurred while staying at this hotel was the keys demagnetized occasionally, but I've had this happen at several hotels. I was extremely impressed for the area and the other options for hotels.

I will not stay here ever again. It is overpriced and the stench of disinfectant is so strong that I choked. So, you end up opening the window in a bad neighborhood so you can breathe. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel

Clean, Comfortable and Quiet, everything works. It is a safe place to stay when working in the area. The front staff is attentive and make you feel welcome. Parking is good and area around hotel is green and treed. The only down side is that there isn't much in the area for eating out, though they give you a coupon for an area restaurant.

We were in town for bicycles races as a team. We had a good experience at the Lakewood Best Western. Very good staff and ample parking for trucks, Sprinters, etc. in our group. I would stay again if in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of getting to the motel from I-5 although there is a slight jog just before the motel. It helps to have Siri. The area is quiet. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Frig and microwave. Outside entrance. The continental breakfast area is an outside entrance. Comfortable and bright. Hostess was friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was the basics, but you could make waffles. We were attending an event at the Tacoma Dome. The drive was easy.

Excellent place for value. Close to military bases, safe area, quiet, clean and near residential area, not on freeway or close to questionable locations near freeways and high crime areas. Even though the rooms are all facing the parking lot, the facility is well maintained and quiet. They were in the process of replacing carpets and upgrading all their rooms. Exterior was recently painted. I've stayed at this location several times and have been satisfied for the value.

Just finished a trip with our two daughters to a concert at Tacoma Dome. Hotels close to the Dome were sold out and we found this gem. Many of the rooms, including ours had been recently renovated. The room was very clean, bright and quiet. And our very reasonable rate included continental breakfast which included cereals, waffles and yogurt along with pastries and fruit. The hotel also included free parking and WiFi. It was a short 10 min drive to the Dome. The front desk clerk gave us excellent directions. A great find and somewhere we would definitely stay ay again.

If looking for good service and reliable sleeping quarters. Then differently go here. I found its hard to find people that go above and beyond their role to support customers. I've felt validated by all staff especially the head Manager. A true reflection of leadership shows by the staff that supports the needs of others. There staff, all shine as superstars to my team, when we stay there on a weekly basis. We thank you!!

The rooms are undergoing renovation and mine was no exception. They had what seated to bee duct tape on the perimeter of the carpet where it meets the tiled bathroom flooring. They told me about this at check in so, I was not surprised when I walked in. The tape is really the only negative. This hotel was clean and quiet. The internet worked great, breakfast was good, really liked the Nutella packs. This hotel is literally across the road from some really good restaurants, I suggest you try the Indian place. Comfortable stay, nice area, would stay here again.

in Tacoma for a family celebration of life service. it was a nice two night stay for our purposes. every thing we needed was very close including gas stations and good places to eat and relax. perfect place for family members to come together and reconnect and bond after losing a beloved member of our family.

Stayed here while attending training at a nearby facility. Very comfortable rooms and the rooms were clean considering they were gong through a remodel. The staff was very friendly and warned me about potential hazards in the room because of the remodel.

Our daughter recommended this as a good place to stay while visiting family. Friendly greeting at check-in. All was explained to us (breakfast times, etc.). Told to be careful of tape covering tile/carpet in room as they were remodeling. Comfortable bed, nice linens. Asked for a quiet room in upper level and was given it. Very nice breakfast--hot and cold items. Large room so plenty of seating. Will return again, whenever we visit family.

Room was clean & front desk staff was helpful& friendly. BUT the rooms need some TLC. There was duct tape between carpet and tile in several places in our room. Baseboard was missing in one place. The couple who traveled with us had to find something to cover the gap under their door. We would find another hotel in the future.

Staff very courteous, hotel room was clean and well equipped with toiletries, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, microwave, frig, coffee machine and supplies. A request for additional towels was acted upon almost immediately.

Check in was easy. We only stayed one night since we were traveling through the state. Parking is close to the room and all the room doors are on the outside. It's a quiet part of town and the hotel has quiet time from 9:00pm - 6:00am. I would stay there again. Clean rooms and nice people.

I stayed in the Lakewood Best Western hotel for 11 days after a reccomdendation from my girlfriend who lives close to the hotel. Even though I just spend the evening/nights there and it was a very good experience.

We thought we would rent a room at this hotel because it was close to where my mom lives. She had a medical procedure and needed to stay where she did not have to do stairs for two days. The place was disgusting from the door not opening properly to ants to horrible maintenance.

We got the room for labor day weekend to use the pool in the 95 degree temp. Checked in and the next morning headed to the pool. But it was closed for the season? Hot outside and the pool is closed? Ruined our weekend.

Everything I would expect from 100$ a night. However we were disappointed they closed the pool a couple days early. Hotel was going under some reservations and there was some musty smell in our room but it wasn't too bad. Staff was very professional and polite.

Clean & comfortable beds, clean bathroom, warm showers, excellent breakfast bar, relatively quiet rooms. A clean swimming pool that was quite refreshing. Even the lime-infused water in the lobby was excellent. A good value for the price you pay. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit. Don't let the "under renovation" dissuade you. It's a great place to stay.

nice place - a little hard to get to if not using GPS. Night manager (?) was very pleasant and helpful. Don't know if I had an accessible room or what, but there was no tub - just a shower with a drain in the bathroom - not a terrible experience, but kind of weird. But the night guy's wonderful attitude kind of overshines any negative things, so I can't remember them.

A drive by shooting took place one night!! It was one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had. Upon check in neither of our cards worked and it was a good distance from our room back to the front desk. I was not happy with the noise from the road and asked to be moved which they could not accommodate. The new cards they gave us didn't work well either. We were not keeping them next to our phones, they blamed our mishandling of the cards right off the bat. The rooms are marginal. The shower had mold. I would never go back there.

Not the best experience. The first sign was the duct tape on the floor at entry. Large gap under front door. One small package of coffee. Internet was good. Tile in shower needs repair. Over all ok, but laughed at the duct tape....I took pictures to share with co-workers

I booked this based on the rating. When we checked in, the first room we tried to go into, the door would not open, the bottom of the door was stuck on the jamb. The room (278) we got was dirty. There was something smeared on the top of the casing on the door in the bathroom. I was also told I could not use my Best Western Card. There were no baseboards in the room either. The only nice thing was the staff.

The property is charming and larger than first appears from front entrance. Room was good size to stretch out. Very clean rooms and common areas even during this refurbishing stage. Quiet location with several local businesses. The front staff was very helpful. Convenient location to my conference location at Clover Park Technical College and to delicious dinner options.

Hotel is in the process of being renovated, so our room was not as nice as I imagine it would be in the future. Bed was comfortable, hotel was in a nice location, large grounds, quiet, away from the freeway. Had a large breakfast area with a decent selection. Has a outside pool which looked nice, but we did not use.

The desk clerk told me the property was under construction. When I get to my room there is duct tape on the carpet in several places. If my room was still under construction why was I not given a different room? I made this reservation months ago. I was given a room completely around the back of the property and on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator on the property so I had to lug my belongings up 2 flights of stairs. I discovered after I left the property that I had left my iPod in the room. I called the next day and was told that nothing was turned into Lost and Found. The desk clerk said that maybe I accidentally threw it away!!!!!

Comfortable king bed for our 3-night stay. Very good continental breakfast including waffle maker and microwaveable breakfast sandwich. Overall, the room was clean, but carpets were scheduled for replacement and that might help slight odor in the room. Good value for price paid! Neighborhood a bit old, but appeared safe. Good proximity for a day trip to Mt. Rainier (2 hr. drive), or drive to Seattle (1 hr.) or access to Tacoma Chihuly museum (20 min.)

Clean, quiet and comfortable, nothing fancy. Everything worked, good internet, continental breakfast. Hotel is in process of remodeling, so things aren't quiet up to par. Place will look nicer, once new carpets are installed and remodeling is finished.

We stayed here our last night before flying out, not real close to airport, but is was clean and quiet here. We didn't get to eat breakfast since we had to be up at 4am and on the road by 5. We would stay here again if we are in the area. Staff was friendly. Business center was helpful when we needed to print out boarding passes, etc.

The hotel is currently being remodeled but lacked new carpet and updated quality furniture. Normal footsteps in the room above ours were noisy starting at 7am both nights..not the way I like being woken up..and lasted for 2 hours.

If you do not know, all Motor Inns have outside entrances. The area around the hotel is very well kept up, even a local playhouse across the street. The hotel was clean. They are in the middle of replacing flooring so we had new tile entry area and bathroom tile but the carpet had not been changed out. They were apologetic about the duct tape between the tile and carpet. This is common for these projects but they explained why and it was not an issue. The breakfast was good. Continental with hardboiled eggs and waffles. As it was only listed as continental the waffles and eggs were a pleasant surprise. Stayed one night with friends in the next room. For dinner go to Bruno's, best German food I have had, in a very long time, about 1 mile away. Pool was clean. But watch out for the bottom, very rough! And the depth is odd. Goes from 2 and 1/2 feet to 6 feet and back to 4 feet.

Liked the location. Great beds. Renovations was a pain to deal with during our stat but made the best of it. Loved the sleep we got in the bed. Location was minutes from where we needed to go . However the road construction made it difficult to drive near hotel area.

We stayed at BW Lakewood the evening we arrived in Seattle. We were on our way to Mt Rainer the next day. It turned out to be a great location, easy to find from the freeway. The surroundings were quiet, the airconditioning worked well, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The landscaping was beautiful. It was a great value compared to Seattle and surrounding areas.

We always stay here when in Lakewood. Close to restaurants, shopping, military installation. The motel staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are clean, free breakfast is a plus. Never have any problems when we stay here.

This place is little ways from freeways and near stores, gas and good restaurants nearby Nice staff, hotel is going through remodeling and you can see some work being done to rooms. It is fine during the remodeling since you can get around just fine. Breakfast is in meeting room near office, it has so- so selection but it is not a full breakfast, nor do they say it is. Lots of parking.

Overall, had a very mixed experience in this hotel. On the plus side: -the continental breakfast was HUGE and had a great selection of items like waffles, pastries, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches and so on. -beds were fairly comfortable -fairly quiet and easy to get to Now for the downside: -pillows were horrible- they were lumpy and not comfortable at all -We were part of a group and everyone had issues with their reservation, from doors being incredibly difficult to open, tubs not draining, wrong rate being charged, rooms being given away to people not in the group, even after multiple visits to the front desk -very poor communication between front office staff- had the same conversation with 3 different staff members in the same day, and wasted a lot of time doing so. -in a room in the process of being remodeled. The bathroom door was chipped and warped and looked really old and well used. With all of the issues we had, I would not stay here again. Perhaps if you are a couple, without kids, and are not part of a group, it would be fine. Don't stay here with a group.

Older property with a lot of great upgrades. Currently under going some renovations but the inconvenience is minor and temporary. Staff were fun and made me feel right at home. Neighborhood is relatively quiet and still with in easy reach of the Freeway and major arterial and shopping. Bed was comfortable - overall very happy with the value for my dollar. I would stay here again.

A pleasant surprize in a quiet neighborhood. Great location for our Tacoma stay at a good rate. The best Indian food right around the corner after a relaxing swim in their beautiful pool. Hotel can be hard to find initially.

Centrally located complex in Lakewood Washington. Older facility but currently undergoing a remodel to improve customer rooms. Once the remodel is completed, it will be a nice facility to rest for the night. However, our stay during the construction period, was subpar in comparison to other Best Western locations.

Only stay here if you don't mind NOT getting the room you reserved, if you don't mind duct tape holding down your carpet, if you enjoy having the doorknob fall off the bathroom door and no maintenance available until Monday and last but not least, if you enjoy being yelled at by the rudest, laziest breakfast staff. If all that sounds good to you, then this is the place!

The location is unique in Lakewood and the hotel is in a safe neighborhood. There is plenty of parking and close to shopping, the base, airport, etc. The hotel is almost done with a remodel and the pool is HEATED! I stay here about 60 days a year and it's the best value for about 50 miles.

Made reservations by phone and confirmed through email. Stay was due to a conference being held at Pacific Lutheran Univ. Check in was speedy and easy. Front desk clerk was extremely helpful. Have stayed at this motel before; and found all the rooms had been painted and updated with the exception of a few rooms still in progress. Pool was well maintained and relaxing on a warm summer day. Breakfast was satisfactory. I found breakfast at other Best Westerns,specifically the motel in Pendleton, Oregon to be a better breakfast.

The hotel is quiet and has a great outdoor pool that the kids enjoyed. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is close to amenities and shopping. The furniture is a bit dated, but the bathroom and sink area are spacious and recently renovated. I hear the carpets will be replaced this summer. The carpets are in great shape but dated.

Not on "hotel row," but a hidden gem for us. Construction going on in some rooms. Our room is clean and comfortable. Neighborhood is quiet, easy to find. Good eats close by. Haven't tried the complementary breakfast yet. Looking forward to it. Great place, great price for us. Thanks folks.

Best Westerns are much better out in the Western part of the United States then in the Eastern or Southern States! This Best Western Lakewood was one of the Nicest ones we stayed at and we stay at a lot of them! Clean, Comfortable and a Good Nights Sleep means a whole lot! Staff was so nice and friendly!

Place was dirty. Dirty sheets on the bed. Dirty floors. We knew they were under renovation, but we paid full price for poor quality, and poor cleanliness. We were given a different room, at least the bed was clean. We had to move all of our things at midnight. Ruined our experience. Will not go there again.

It's a little tricky to find, but with GPS not really a problem. We arrived at midnight after a late cross country plane flight. The night attendant was very pleasant and quick to get us signed in and on our way to sleep. I found it very nice and clean, a little small, but since we weren't planning on living in the room it was more than sufficient. The internet signal was strong and very fast. The bathroom was nice and lots of hot water. I'd stay again.

We've stayed here many times and during many different seasons. Always the great staff keeps us comfortable each stay. The renovation rough edges were smoothed out by the staff. Thanks for letting us enjoy another stay.

The BW Lakewood is located in a quiet area of Lakewood. From what I've seen, all other hotels/motels are located right off the I-5. I've stayed here when I come up to visit my son, for the past 3 years. There's really not much within walking distance, but restaurants and shopping areas are very short drive. The front desk staff are very friendly. There is remodeling going on right now on a few of the buildings. I heard no noise at all.

They kinda brag about their free breakfast...but they won't actually let you into their "dining room. It is supposed to open at 6:00 AM. I was there at 6:00 AM yesterday and it was locked up with nobody in sight. Today I waited until 6:50 AM. I could see inside, It was totally empty and the doors locked. The swimming pool shows no signs of ever being open for use. This is an older property. It is "OK" in most ways but is certainly showing wear. The base flooring in my room (upstairs) is obviously deteriorated and uneven. I come to Lakewood frequenty and typically stay at the Holiday Inn. I was formerly a Big Best Western fan but this experience (and being repeatedly unable to redeem my remaining 140,000+ loyalty points) has cemented my conversion to IHG/Holiday Inns.

We stayed 2 nights this week but found the experience very disappointing. I am 6'9" so reserved a room with a king sized bed. But when we arrived we were assigned a room with 2 queen sized beds--which I don't fit in. We were told we could have a king sized bed but would have to change rooms each night. Since we were on business this was very inconvenient because we had to get up even earlier to repack, move our luggage to our car, then unload all over again in the evening and move to a room on another floor. We were offered no assistance and after asking were offered only a very modest discount. The room we used the first night had a refrigerator with a compressor that made loud noises every 5 seconds so we had to make another trip to the office and asked for ice to keep our lunch for the next day cold and turned off the refrigerator. We were offered no compensation for this inconvenience. The motel is old and is undergoing very badly needed renovations. They have a continental breakfast they describe as "deluxe" but it is anything but that--canned peaches, sugary cereals and yogurt. The coffee is tasteless and the Orange and apple juice is just watered down punch. I would not recommend anyone stay at this motel until they get their act together.

I am familiar with Lakewood and I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel. I booked based on price and previous reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the exterior and also the check in area. The room was very comfortable. The hotel was being renovated but there was no noise disturbance during our stay. We would absolutely stay at this hotel on our next trip to Pierce County.

The staff were very warm hearted people wearing their heart on their sleeve. You cannot ask for any more than that. I seen the staff from breakfast to the front desk three given the people I clean the grounds be the best people helping anybody that's in need of support. Hope this is a good example how customer service. They all rememind me like the old days of gas stations. When people use to fill up your gas tank and wash your windows and check your tires. I consider them a full-service deal.

The beds and linens were clean, as was the bathroom. The TV, Internet, and microwave were functional. The refrigerator didn't work very well, but I mainly used it for drinks, so it wasn't a problem. The continental breakfast was the usual, but there were some breakfast sandwiches that had protein. This was different and much appreciated!

The Lakewood Best Western is very modern and the staff are cheerful and a delight, the free morning brunch was amazing eggs, bacon waffles and all the trimmings, beds are very comfortable it was a great stay!

We had an excellent experience here at Best Western Lakewood. The staff was friendly and accommodating when we needed to extend our stay 1 more night. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends!

Had to stay here because we were moving out of Lakewood to Spokane. the movers took all our stuff to Spokane. We stayed here to finish up last minute stuff we got great sleep excellent breakfast and the rooms were clean

Purchase voucher on Groupon. Hotel was being renovated. Stayed on 2nd floor. Was concerned about cleanliness of carpet and bathroom. However, lobby was updated and nice with fresh coffee, water and cookies. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was served in conference room. Breakfast was buffet with eggs, yogurt, cereal, waffles, etc. Might stay again after renovations are finished.

A little older decor, single queen room only had one comfortable chair. No table in the room. Mini-fridge was very noisy as was the bathroom fan. Water ran cold two minutes into my morning shower. But overall not a bad experience, just not sure if I would stay here again. On check out day, housekeeping showed up at 9:30am, a full 90 minutes before checkout time.

Nice, quiet older, little hotel. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. All the amenities (wifi) work well. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is set in a quiet area. They have refrigerator/microwaves in the room which is handy. There are no Supermarkets close by, but there is a Wallgreens for small items. Wish they had the coffee they used to carry. The new brand is not as good. so bring your own or buy from the bagel shop next door.

We used Air Miles to book the hotel and sometimes check in is a problem but not this time. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was good and the flat screen HD TV was just great. There were two queen sized beds with lots of pillows, a comfortable chair and a desk and chair. Pretty good value for what we paid. The complimentary breakfast was much better than some. The location was awkward for us since we were travelling on to Newport in the morning. The hotel is definitely off major routes.

Had a great experience here from check-in to airport drive. The breakfast is nice and the service is great. Coffee and tea available 24/7 There are about 25 TV stations. I think one was in spanish, the rest in english

This hotel looked sketchy when we drove up but it turned out to be perfectly nice. While it would've been better to have an elevator to get all our stuff up to the second floor, we managed. Our room was clean and quiet. The front desk would not bring up another towel that night, but I was able to pick one up the next morning after breakfast. We had a good breakfast which we needed for our long day of travel.

I always stay at the Best Western in Lakewood, Washington when I come to visit family! We love it here. The beds are very comfortable. The food is so good. We enjoy the waffles, fruits such as oranges, strawberries, bananas, and apples. I love the teas and hard boiled eggs. I like to put salt and pepper on them. I like cream cheese & strawberries on the blueberry waffles. Yum. It is so close to everything. We like to eat out at Red Robin, Applebees, & Olive Garden. The Dollar Tree is close, too. We enjoy the Church by the Chapel across the street with the white fence. We also enjoy the African church that is in the hotel when we're there on Sunday. We love all the employees. They're so nice. The price is very good and this hotel is very worth it. You get a good value for your money. It is quiet and nice to stay here.

Plus, the room was very clean, the layout and space were fine, the beds very comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast had more variety than expected and was good. Minus, we had trouble regulating the heat and often couldn't get the Wifi connection except by the window. Other reviewers have mention how good wifi was so it may depend on he room. Check on this if it is important to you. The hotel is a ways off the freeway. We would stay here again, the plusses really do outweigh the minuses.

This hotel has a good-looking appearance, both the exterior and the rooms. It's in a nice quiet area for a relaxing stay. If more choices were offered at breakfast it would make this one a ten out of ten for the value. I'd stay again.

The hotel is conveniently located, just south of Tacoma. It is older, but well cared for, clean and dignified. everything about our stay was very good to excellent. Breakfast was good for a hotel "free" breakfast. Property is very quiet and secure. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Love staying at this motel; location is the best. Many different restaurants and bars are nearby. Motel is not too far from I-5, so access to freeway is easy. Also, the Lakewood Mall is nearby which offers shopping. One of the better Best Western motels we've stayed at.

Very friendly staff! Comfortable room with 2 queen size beds which was plenty of room for 2. Separate sink was a plus. Very large vanity area. Convenient location and accessible to all Tacoma attractions. Quiet neighborhood and would definitely recommend if staying in the Tacoma area.

Stayed here while visiting friends before we all traveled north. I don't really like to stay at motor inn's, but it was ok for 2 nights. The manager was nice, the room was clean and the breakfast was nice.

Best Western has become my go to primary hotel company after my trip to Washington at this hotel. There were plenty of rooms to choose from, nice and friendly staff, and a nice big selection of food items from the breakfast they have available in the mornings.

This was a nice hotel for the price. It's clean and the staff was friendly. It was in a convenient location for us and was great for some place clean to sleep and shower. We never made it to the continental breakfast so not sure how that is. The top floor can be loud because the hallway floor is creaky.

We come across this hotel because all hotels in the airport is full. And I'm glad we've stayed here. The room is old but you know that they are still taking good care of it, was big, lot of space, clean, comfortable beds. The place is quiet. They have outside pool and they have varieties of food to choose from in their breakfast area. The staffs are amazing from the front desk named Alvin and Rodel from the maintenance. They are so helpful. I will highly recommend this to anybody. Good quality service and comfortable stay.

It was a little hard to find. We went through some areas we did not like much. But in the end the motel is in a nice area. Check-in was good and the girl was very nice. Our room was clean and somewhat updated! There was a microwave and refrigerator. Air conditioning worked almost too good! Breakfast was continental...with hard boiled eggs. Wifi was great! Shower needs grout cleaned and it needs a new shower head!!! We would stay here again.

This hotel was very quiet and made for a great nigh't's sleep after working several days. I was impressed with the quietness and the comfortable bed. The staff were quiet as they cleaned other rooms as I am a day sleeper. I work nights and I slept for 12hrs without anything waking me up.

value for the money was good. grounds were beautiful, staff were helpful.room was pretty basic. the lighting could have been brighter and the a/c was not working as well as i would have expected. the room seemed to heat up long before we could get the unit to kick on.the amenities were very basic, for instance tp was VERY poor quality, towels were not that absorbent.

Toilet did not work. Sheets were dirty. Bath tub did not drain. People were nice who worked the night shift. Owner/management not in control. Not up to minimum Best Western standards. The property just lacks quality control and a commitment of excellence.

I would go back friendly staff all around. I was very surprised it looked old but very clean great free breakfast and great cleaning service. Very impressed and out door pool warm and clean even have a wheel chair lift for handicapped. Beds very comfortable and pillows. They had extra blankets in room which is very hard to find and clean. You asked for something if they had it you got it. Thanks again for the great stay we had 3 rooms and all pleased.

I purchased a one night stay off Groupon and it was well worth it. The room was clean and staff was friendly. The hotel was about 35 minutes from SeaTac and we used this as a place to sleep before going to Olympic National Park. The breakfast in the morning was decent, included make your own waffles, eggs, bagels and pastry. There was a pool but we were not here long enough to see it. Overall for the price we paid and the purpose it served it was a good place I would recommend. Bonus there is no fee for parking.

We use this motel on numerous occasions as it located in the center of Lakewood, WA., convenient location for visiting friends and family. Room was clean and airy and was as expected. All the amenities worked (TV, air conditioning, fridge, microwave, etc). Continental breakfast included in the daily rate and comprised of various cereals, waffle maker, breads, muffins and rolls, coffee, tea and juices. Pare plates and cups, plastic spoons.... Pretty much as advertised. No minuses at all. For the price it was excellent value.

Facility was clean and well appointed for a moderately price motel. Breakfast was more than adequate. Outside pool and lounge area are well maintained. Facility is conveniently located with easy access to local freeways.

This was my second time staying at this facility. I was again, very pleased with the friendliness of staff, their willingness to accomodate specific needs, and their assistance with finding certain attractions in the nearby area. The Breakfasts were especially good with a nice variety on food. The grounds are beautiful and well kept.

Our reservation was supposed to be for TEN days. When we got back to our room on the third day we were locked out because they got our dates incorrect. We were unable to talk to a manager to see if there could be a resolution. Fortunately we found another hotel which did not meet my needs as a disabled person but I managed.

The room was clean and fresh smelling.. All the staff were friendly and helpful... Great breakfast.... definitely would stay again.. very comfortable stay, The pool looked amazing.. Very quiet nights sleep..

Hotel desperately needs updating very run down and dirty. We stayed at this location seven years ago and it was fine that is why we went back. Little did we know it needed a remodel. Breakfast area lacking in chairs and tables. There was a baseball tournament in town so breakfast area was crowded.

I would defiantly stay here again. They had a good buffet breakfast, comfortable rooms and clean. We had to leave 5am every morning and they allowed us to pick up a few breakfast items to go (breakfast is 6-9) Our last day we had the opportunity to sit down and eat....the waffles were really yummy!! I don't really stay at hotels with exterior doors, but this was fine. My daughter and I felt safe.

very nice area and a great room. If in the area we would come back. we were there for a golf tournament, after a long day on the course the bed felt awesome. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. We would like to have tried the breakfast just did not have time, bed was so comfy we did not want to get up. Shower had plenty of hot water. None of the appliances noises you sometimes get.

Few breakfast choices left after 8:30 AM when breakfast goes from 6-9:30. I woke up with stiff back from extra firm bed. Interne was fast but unsecure as I could see other computers and mine was "attacked" six times - thank you firewall. NO ELEVATOR.

As a Bestwestern employee we get deals across Bestwestern. I for one work at a Bestwestern Plus. This is not a Plus! I have only stayed at the BWP. thus was My first time at a regular BW. Staff was great location good. Breakfast was nice. I would recommend this place nice pool. That being said I was a little troubled about the lack of door strike plate. Only a few other petty things, but for the price. Worth it!

Wonderful staff and great location.. Close to the mall and all other venues a few driving minutes distance.. Compared to the other Hotels in this area, this is a well kept secret !! Once you have stayed here, you will come back again.. They are starting to remodel the entire Hotel and it will be something special when finished..

First, Alvin at the front desk was wonderful to work with. He seemed very knowledgeable and keen. The hotel was lovely. Our room was nice. Our bed was comfortable. Our room was on the corner so we heard a lot of hotel traffic but other than that, the stay was perfect.

I have stayed here before and I'll stay here again. The hotel is very comfortable and clean and has a great breakfast. The only issue is that it's not right off the freeway, but with the lower cost and it being a great hotel, I'll stay here again whenever I'm in the Tacoma area.

Comfortable if not splashy hotel in the Tacoma area. Close to Steilacoom, Dupont, and Fircrest. Excellent service. Super yummy beds - we had to set the alarm for 6:00 am, and we are from the East Coast! Near excellent Indian and Chinese takeout. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

hotel was easy to find, check in and check out was easy and quick, staff very friendly, there is no elevator in this hotel so makes it hard to carry luggage up two flights of stairs, offers breakfast but i didnt stay to eat breakfast here, and it offers laundry service as well. rooms were spacious and clean will recommend this hotel and would stay here again

Nice, convenient, clean, just starting to show it's age. Staff was accommodating after you got their attention. Plumbing is still an issue with the bathroom. Internet worked well. May or May not stay there again.

Good experience. Very convenient to expressway. Very good size room. Close to restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff. Hard to get ice - have to use guest room key to get into a very hot room'; door closes behind you, very noisy, getting ice from machine is not easy.

I always stayed at Best Western for business and pleasure. When we have problem with our room they staff always responded to our service. The breakfast was good and healthy. Some places has indoor pool, spa & sauna, like the one in Vancouver Mall Rd, Vancouver, WA. That place is the best for us.

Staff are not really rude but do NOT have good customer service skills. The lady that works the night shift is short with you and doesn't seem to enjoy her job. Check-in time took over 15 minutes. It was 81 degrees outside and no AC in the lobby. I saw they had water in the lobby, it looked refreshing but unfortunately, it tasted like it had sat there for over a day. The pool is an outdoor pool. It is heated but not sure how well that does you in 81 degree weather. (Smile). I was disappointed to find that the FULL breakfast was really not what other Best Westerns consider a full breakfast. It was basically a continental breakfast with a waffle maker machine. And they had those mini-mart breakfast sandwiches, you know the ones that are crammed full of sodium and preservatives you heat in microwave. They were out of Orange juice and offered no fresh water. I was very thirsty at this hotel. they do not offer water in the vending machines either. The best thing about this hotel was my clean and large room and the Wi-Fi was great! The AC doesn't really work too well. I would only stay here if you pay $70 or less. It is not worth more than that per night.

This is a nice place to lay your head down and just relax. No outside noise from the street. There's a lot of local shops within walking distance. And there is a town center mall about four blocks away. You could walk there if you want to. There's plenty of parking and the room is spacious and comfortable. We have a microwave and a mini fridge in the room. The only problem we had was the controls for the hot and cold water to the bathtub and the shower. You had to be careful with the hot water mixing with cold water for a shower because it wasn't the same temperature coming out of the faucet for the tub. We did have free Wi-Fi and it worked absolutely beautifully. They have a heated swimming pool out by the front entrance. There is no hot tub here. I wasn't able to use the pool because the weather was too cold once I got out of the pool and run back to my hotel room. But the pool is nice and clean. The breakfast room was in a conference room off to the side of the hotel. It had pretty much everything except for the hot food, they had packaged croissant sandwiches with eggs and sausage similar to the ones from Costco. They had no fresh fruits but did have cocktail fruit from a can. I kind of like that better. They had the usual waffle Iron and coffee and milk and yogurt. Overall, this is a nice hotel to stay at. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

The staff was rude. We were there for a wedding and booked a good portion of the hotel. The staff called the police and continued to threaten to kick us out. My grandparents were 2 rooms down and said they never heard a thing. She called rooms and kept telling us "to go to bed" I'm 30 years old and don't need anyone telling me to go to bed. We were drinking and catching up but this wasn't a hotel party by any means. I would stay away!

Okay to stay when traveling near Tacoma. However for the price, others we have stayed in are much more luxurious and offer more. Room was dated but adequate and clean. Quiet at night but could hear every more the person upstairs made. Breakfast ojay--nothing special.

Facility has been there for a long time. Physical plant is well maintained. Staff does a good job. Reasonable value for the area. Will almost certainly stay there the next time we visit. Continental breakfast selections are not elaborate but are high quality and selections are well stocked.

Check in was efficient. Room was very clean and comfortable. Nicely updated. For an older building it didn't have that old motel smell. Continental breakfast was standard for this price point but very good. Would gladly stay here again.

We've stayed @ the Best Western Lakewood many times. Each time just gets better. Sabrina checked us in last Saturday. We were so late that I wondered if our room was still available. Adriana had reserved it for us. Sabrina said, "Oh, Yes"! We have the room you want. I was thrilled and so tired. Then we asked for a wake up call as we know from past experiences that if you don't ask for a wake up call, you won't wake Up. The beds are so comfortable that you'll sleep forever. We didn't want to miss the delicious breakfast. It was so good. We had fresh fruit waffles. Yum. Thank you to all the staff which are excellent. The rooms are so clean & quiet, too. OK place for Lakewood. Parked in front of my room but found out I had to walk to the back of the building for stairway up to my room. Continental breakfast selection fair and is at the furthest point away from the enitre complex..Might try Holiday Inn express.. Staff was very friendly..

It is my "go to place" when needing a room in South Tacoma area. It's not fancy, but the room is clean and big and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is well presented and has all the basics to get you on your way in the morning. The staff is pleasant, responsive and helpful. I always feel welcome there.

Near Banks, food establishments and quiet and great for resting after a full days work. Far from traffic is a plus! I have stayed here 4 out of my 5 trips to Tacoma and each 4 night stay has been good.

I needed a place to stay for a local appointment, and this hotel fit the bill. The room was nice, clean, and a good size. It's close to major businesses, so that's certainly a plus. (two places that are my favorites: a German store about 2 blocks away - "Hess Bakery & Deli", and a small mexican restaurant - "Tijuana Taco", also a couple of blocks away) Check-in was quick & painless. The outdoor pool is only open between Memorial Day & Labor Day, so I wasn't able to use. I'm a AAA member, so it was nice to have the AAA rate for the room. I would stay here again in the future.

We checked in late-had a little trouble with a reservation modification made the day before check in. It was straightened out and room was comfortable and quiet. We would stay here again. Thank you to the very nice staff member who called me the day of my check out.

We stayed here after attending a concert at the Tacoma Dome because I didn't feel like making the drive back from Tacoma to Portland starting at midnight. I do not regret it in any way. The property itself is not new, but seems in good repair and well cared for. The location is not ideal for an event at the Tacoma Dome, but is only a few miles (7ish) away. Being a bit south of the venue is a bonus to anyone coming from that direction as you don't get snarled in event traffic just trying to get to your hotel. It was a bit further from I-5 than I'd have strictly liked for the price. The staff really made our stay. The front desk attendant was amazingly polite and helpful. The price seemed a bit steep to me, but is probably pretty average for a Saturday night stay in that area. I haven't ever booked a room in that area so I don't know. Considering the age and location of the property, I'd have expected it to be a bit less, but not much. Booking price was ~$150, I'd have figured $20-$30 less, even taking the "cancel anytime" rate that we did. In the end, I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of, just that it was a bit more than I wanted to pay.

I love this hotel. The beds are so comfortable and clean that you'll need a wake up call to not miss breakfast. The food is so good. Yummy waffles, fresh fruit, blueberry yogurt, cream cheese, oatmeal & More. I love the staff. They are very good, knowledgeable & kind. We enjoy the little white church near the hotel. There is also a great church inside the hotel. We ate @ Applebee's and Red Robin is nearby. So good. Enjoy the shopping with Target, Ross & Goodwill nearby, too.

This is an older hotel,but it's very quiet, the rooms are clean and the staff are helpful and pleasant. I can't say enough about the continental breakfast.So many choices! I would definitely stay again!

I booked a 2 queen room this past Sunday, we arrived on Tuesday 26 Jan - 30 Jan to attend a wake for my father in law. Yes this is a older hotel but I have to say that it is very well kept. The bathroom was very clean and the bed was just right for my old back. The breakfast was first class for a hotel free be which was great since my two grandson love homemade waffles. If you want the New York Plaza look at a different place. If you want a clean comfortable safe place to stay at a great price then I say book it. They have a nice computer in the main lobby to print your airlines boarding pass. The Lakewood town center is right at your door and can be safely walked too. Lots of stores and places to eat. Walgreens is right across the street and open 24 hours All I can say yes I would stay here again when I return to Lakewood for family events.

Stayed for a funeral, booked on line at best western. DO NOT book this hotel on line, they do not like it, want on line bookings and will not refund any errors. If you like paying twice for a cut rate hotel, go ahead.....

This hotel had one of the best beds I have slept in at a hotel in years regardless of price. Very clean and pleasant employee's. The breakfast items had a wide variety, presented well and again pleasant employee's.

The rooms are clean and the staff go out of their way to help. The breakfast is nicely done with plenty of choices and is in a spacious area with plenty of seating and TVs to watch the news on. Parking spaces are large minimizing door ding problems. I've stayed here in the summer and although I didn't use it, the pool looked fun and well maintained.

Nothing special about this hotel, was not of the quality of most Best Westerns. was clean and quiet. older facility. will probably find a different hotel in the area if I need to stay down there again.

I usually stop at this hotel about once every three months and I have nothing to complain about. To make a stay great it requires three main things - state of room, quality of breakfast and quality of service. This hotel has all three!! The room is always simple yet very clean and everything works. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are always hot and work well. The breakfast room is very spacious and the variety is perfect for all tastes. Lots of good wholesome food here. As far as service is concerned I always experience the very best especially at the Front desk with Alvin and Bonnie - so perfect for their jobs and it is always a treat to return. Good job all round!!

Pros: The staff that checked us in was very helpful and friendly. Cons: We thought we had booked a room with two queen beds. One of the beds was just a double. The mattress was too hard for my tastes and the heater in the room was loud. It was situated under the window, so when it went on, it blew the drapes open.

Very quiet. When I first arrived, the toilet did not work in the room and the staff was courteous and prompt in giving me another room (which I actually preferred over the original room). Clean and comfortable!

This hotel is quaint and clean but dated. We have stayed there multiple times over the last couple of years while visiting family there has been very little done to update the hotel. The cost is extremely reasonable and it is conveniently located for us. I would recommend this hotel

Very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Obviously a very old hotel. Décor seemed outdated, but was comfortable, very clean, and quiet. Well below par for a Best Western. Wi-Fi didn't work until the morning of my checkout and Tech Support couldn't fix it. Quite a ways off the freeway.

I thought that this hotel was pretty nice, average, it was in good location for the places we needed to go. However, we ended up switching to another hotel after a night because we felt the hotel was way over priced for the value. It was motel value and we were paying about $95 plus tax, and this included a discounted wedding block rate. I would definitely stay here if the price wasn't as expensive as when we first stayed.

Great welcoming desk staff. The room (one queen size bed) was very roomy, beautifully decorated, had a very comfortable bed along with all the necessary amenities you would need. Best continental breakfast selection we've ever encountered in all our travels served daily from 6-9:30 a.m. Was very pleasantly surprised after seeing what we got for the price we paid per night! We highly recommend this hotel.

Good lodging, close to restaurants and a really lovely German pastry shop...Hess's....yum. Burrs restaurant was friendly and the food was good. Nice shopping area close by had a nice experience. Clean facility...friendly staff.

Very clean and quiet. Bathrooms need to be updated. Location is outstanding. Lots of stores and places to eat in the area. Staff extremely helpful and very friendly. I will stay at this location when I visit the area in the feature.

In almost all regards, the stay was average. Nothing great and nothing terrible. Bedding was not 100% cotton, toiletries just mediocre. Breakfast was ample but nothing terribly good about any of the items save, perhaps, the coffee. Water pressure in the shower was dreadful.

Adrina, Rodel, Sabrina are the best employees at this hotel. Rodel really helped me on the computer. He is so smart and kind. I really love Adrina at the front desk. She is a great listener & really is efficient. Sabrina checked us in & quickly got us to our favorite room # 222. We love the room because it is on the top floor & is so quiet. We can just relax on the bed and sleep. It really is comfortable with all the pillows. Sabrina faxed something for me and really was helpful. Adrina made some copies for me. They were like private secretaries. This hotel is the best!

Have stayed at this hotel numerous times now for business. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The management has gone out of it's way to upgrade the complimentary breakfast. It is nicely presented, and has the basics of what you may want. I stay in the back buildings where it is more quiet. The only down side to this is that sometimes the internet is iffy back there. For me, this is usually not a problem as by the time I check in, I am done with online duties for the day. If you want more reliable internet, I suggest that you stay in one of the rooms that is closer to the office.

I have not taken a vacation in over a year. I came to Lakewood Motor Inn to visit a close friend that i had not seen in two years. The stay at Lakewood Motor Inn was better than expected. I was pleased with every service provided by the hotel. Very Clean room and awesome internet...

This hotel is convenient and for the most part clean and orderly. On prior stays I have mentioned to the management about plumbing issues with the shower fixtures. They have not been repaired to date. You can work with the units but it is time consuming and water wasting to have to continually adjust the temperature while showering. The grounds are clean and neat. The rooms are clean and neat but have older furniture which could use some updating. Also a larger fridge would be helpful for travelers. I would recommend this hotel with reservations.

I have stayed at this location several times over the past couple of years and found that it improves on every visit. The breakfast had more items this time and the Breakfast room is so much more spacious than most other hotels. The staff are always very attentive and helpful. The location is perfect for Chambers Bay golf course and so many more fine golf courses in the region. The location is very quiet and a good sleep is guaranteed here!
