Aiden by Best Western Darling Harbour

As others have mentioned very small rooms. However, the rooms are very comfortable. Modern fittings, comfortable bed, large TV, good aircon, excellent shower and bathroom and clean. Great location near light rail stop that connects with Central station. Often with small rooms noise can leak in, but I found these very quiet. Has a good basic restaurant attached for breakfast and dinner. This may not suit a couple with luggage, but if solo or travelling light its an excellent option in Darling Harbour. Would stay again.

I prepaid on booking online at their website. Confirmation emails saying as much. No cancellations. Nothing to pay at checkin. They said that wasn't true, and I had to pay AGAIN for the same room Id already booked and paid for. Tried to call reservations, but they're based in the US. I asked for a call. Nope. A couple of emails saying they were sorry I missed their calls, BUT THERE WERE NO CALLS. They stopped even replying after the second time. Don't stay here. There's heaps better options all around the area.

While the view is plain, the room is well-appointed. Highlights include: Amenities: A Nespresso machine and complimentary biscuits (restocked daily). Bathroom: Sleek aesthetic with soft-close sliding doors and a dual-head shower. Note: The open shower design leads to floor splashes, and the lack of a vent means odors can linger. The branded Rituals toiletries are a fantastic touch. 📺Comfort & Tech: The bed is excellent, and the TV features a built-in Chromecast. Lighting controls are conveniently located on both sides of the bed. 🏙️Space Management: The layout is compact—reminiscent of NYC hotels—but manageable. Storage is limited, so I recommend using the open wardrobe and packing cubes. We found the most floor space for luggage was near the entryway/bathroom. 🤔Verdict: A sharp, modern stay in a perfect Sydney pocket. High-quality finishes and great service make up for the cozy room dimensions.

This boutique-style hotel offers a welcoming, cozy atmosphere for solo female travelers. Staff are friendly and generally responsive. The hotel provides 4-star-level service. At the front of the hotel, you will find a front desk, bar, restaurant, and working area, but somehow the space works. Food is satisfactory, but the menu is limited, and there's no room service. Orders are provided in takeout containers only. The iced chai lattes are a standout feature. The rooms with queen-size beds are clean and compact, featuring an open wardrobe, a small desk, and limited walking space. My room provided slippers but no robe. Many amenities, such as toiletries and hangers, were available upon request. A major plus was the free water (still and sparkling) at water servicing areas on all floors. Facing a residential street, my room was quiet. The hotel is near Pyrmont Bridge, Darling Harbour, and Sydney's central business district. To reach major attractions like the Sydney Opera House on the other side of town, plan on taking a bus, train, or Uber.

We loved the location (could walk everywhere), the AC in the hot weather, the blackout shades, the quiet rooms on the side of the hotel, the option to eat or have a glass of wine, the complimentary umbrellas, the great shower, the layout of the room. All super~

We stayed 4 nights in a king room with balcony (on the 6th floor). This is a lovely boutique hotel. As other reviews have mentioned, the rooms are tiny but the space has been designed with efficiency in mind. Staff are lovely. The restaurant's food was very good & we found the menu prices to be very fair.

The hotel is in a fantastic location in Darling Harbour. The rooms are new and the air-conditioning is very effective. Our room had a lovely view over the Maritime Museum, and with a Coles about a five-minute walk away, a ferry to Circular Quay close by, and Darling Harbour restaurants just a short walk it's hard to beat the location. We ate in the hotel lobby once and the food was very good; however, as it's in the main entrance area, it's not really a cosy dining experience. The reception staff were very kind, and our room was made up and replenished every day, which we really appreciated. Our only minor downside was the size of the room. With two adults and a suitcase each, space was very tight, the end of the bed had no room to get past if you sat on the end of the bed! There isn't anywhere to sit in the room or place luggage. That said, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel is clear about the room dimensions — something we probably should have considered more carefully after a long flight. Overall, this is a modern, comfortable hotel in an excellent location.

I stayed here for 3 nights in late January. I had a room with a small balcony. Check-in was far with no issues. The room although compact had everything I needed. The shower was hot and powerful and there was fresh milk and water put in the fridge daily. The staff are very friendly and amicable. Location wise, it's just the otherside of the bridge from Darling Harbour and most places are very easy to get to . I had the breakfast included, which was fine once you managed to get a seat. Just try outside the busy times or you may struggle, as I think people from outside the hotel come in as well . I would recommend and indeed stay again. Sydney is quite expensive to stay , so it wasn't cheap. Be aware the rooms are small, but that suited me as I hardly spent much time in it apart from sleeping.

My stay at the Aiden, Darling Harbour was exceptional. The staff were attentive and welcoming each time I entered and left the hotel. From other reviews I knew that the room would be small but it was modern and the perfect size for a solo traveller with great views of Darling Harbour from the fifth floor. It had everything I needed. Great location, easy and close access to transport. I would definitely recommend the Aiden.

Stayed here 6 nights with my son whilst visiting Sydney. Room comfortable, nice bathroom with rainforest shower and nice toiletries. Small boutique type hotel rather than the massive high rise chains dotted around the city. Location was superb with Darling Harbour on your doorstep and the city just beyond it. Enjoyed my stay here.

I honestly dont think I've ever stayed in a smaller room for the price. I had paid for a large king with balcony and the ad said it was bigger than most in Sydney which I seriously doubt. You had to climb over the bed to get into it and once in pull the TV out to see it. Great location but the room completely let it down for me.

This hotel gave me everything I needed for an extended (10 day) holiday visit to Sydney. Very well appointed and comfortable room, excellent location walking distance from Central Sydney and also right by public transport, good breakfast and all day dining, very friendly and helpful staff, lots of restaurants nearby. In other words, a first rate city hotel. Very highly recommended.

the location of the hotel was strategic and easy to go to visiting spots by walk or the train. many choices of restaurant nearby by walking.

This is a gem on the city's edge, though room was a bit on the small side it was clean, well made up and tidy. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Check in was seamless and checkout was smooth and assisted with organising taxi without needing to be asked. View from balcony was simply fantastic. The hotel's proximity to the Pyrmont Bridge, Darling Harbour precinct and public transport makes it a ideal spot as a base for a stay in Sydney for business or pleasure. Kings wharf is only a short walk away on the esst side of the bridge.

Great little hotel in a good location. Rooms are on the small side, but are clean and well appointed. Staff and food are excellent. Lots of good restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Highly recommend this boutique hotel which is very well positioned in Darling Harbour. The decor and functionality of the rooms is excellent, with quality products in use throughout. A really comfortable sleep. Wonderful staff who go that extra mile.

I had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel near Darling Harbour. The location was perfect — just a short and enjoyable walk to both Chinatown and the city centre, around 15 minutes each way. I love strolling around the harbour, especially at night, and this hotel made that so easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was incredibly cozy — I slept so well. The staff were all friendly, flexible, and genuinely helpful. One of the little things I really appreciated was that they allowed me to take breakfast back to my room, which made for a relaxed start to the day. The breakfast itself was delicious, with good variety and generous portions. The whole package from Luxury Escape was great value, and I'm really grateful I found this place. It felt like a hidden gem — perfect for anyone wanting a central location with a warm, boutique feel. Highly recommended!

Very easy to get around, amazing food and bar staff, rooms are good but could be better but overall a great stay and enjoyed the central location and everywhere was easily accessible. Staff were very helpful and accommodating and made me staff very welcoming, they checked me suitcase whilst I went travelling for a few day's and returned it when I checked back in, they also upgraded may room as a gift for returning as a customer

Boutique hotel with funky decor however very small room with two single beds as I stayed with my best friend but dirty bathroom floor and wet carpet outside bathroom. Shower water temperature did not exceed luke warm and water pressure terrible. Thick dust on toilet door track. Redeeming factor was good coffee and breakfast downstairs. Do not think this was 4 star at all which was disappointing as price was 4 star.

I was very excited to try this hotel on my first stay in SYD. It is perfectly located at Pyrmont Bay and Darling Harbour, which makes it close to all the main attractions in the city. The lady who welcomed me on the first day was nice & helped me get late checkout as well. Also, throughout my stay, I was welcomed by the very kind & friendly receptionist: "Sam". He is very professional with his service & helped me get a few items I needed in my room. Also, he let me keep my bags at the hotel till my flight time so that I can enjoy my city tour without ant worries. When it comes to rooms, they are packed with everything you need. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were great. I loved the shower cabinet and big TV screen. In addition, they have MODA Still & Sparkling water taps available on all floors for free, which I have never seen in a hotel in Australia before! It was amazing to refill my own bottles whenever I need and the room service people also did a great job cleaning the room daily. A very elegant touch was they also have a Dyson hair dryer in the room along with a clothes steamer. The air conditioning worked nicely and the free WiFi was fast. The hotel is literally a 5-10 minute walk to Barangaroo Avenue, Darling Harbour, QVB, and George Street's Tram, with all the cafes and restaurants that you would need. It is so close to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House & Sydney Harbour Bridge as well. Overall, it was a fantastic stay at Aiden Darling Harbour and I loved having it as my home there for a while. I would be happy to come back soon & enjoy the beautiful stay.

Great location. Beautiful rooms with top quality linen. Bed super comfortable. Shower lovely with lovely shampoo and conditioner. Dyson hairdryer. We found it spacious. Lovely dining down stairs great coffee. We had breakfast which was very nice. Staff really helpful. Close to Parmount bridge to walk across to Barangaroo, city or restaurants in Darling Harbour. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel in a great location we were seeing a show at the ICC and could walk to the venue, roms and hotel were clean, great amenities in rooms and staff were very accommodating and friendly more than happy to help with what we needed. Breakfast was delicious both days. Rooms are quite small, which was ok for 2 nights but may bother others over more nights.

Loved my stay at Aiden! The room was small but stunning with bespoke touches. There were also thoughtful additions in the room such as a clothes steamer and bottomless filtered water that could be topped up from a tap on each floor. The staff were super friendly and the location was fantastic. Oh and the view from my room - amazing! Will definitely stay here again.

If you want a great location in Darling Harbour, then Aiden by Best Western is for you. I chose this place because it was close to the Sydney Lyric Theatre. I was traveling solo so being able to feel safe walking around at night was also part of my decision. I love the room design, comfy bed, yummy food options and super friendly staff. If you want a hassle free place to stay, this is an easy choice. I will definitely be coming back next time I am in Sydney.

This boutique hotel was fantastic! The staff was so friendly, and the room was stylish and super comfortable. The food and drinks were top-notch—loved the breakfast and the Sharing Menu. Perfect location, close to everything yet peaceful. Definitely recommend for a fun and relaxing stay!

Lovely Hotel, pefect position with just a walk across the Pyrmont Bridge into the CBD. Rooms were clean - a good size, with a view to the front. Staff were all friendly and very helpful, and the food and drink we had there was of a good standard. Would stay again

I had a great experience at the aiden. Went for a short staycation with the missus and service was top tier. The food, views and amenities was so good. And being able to stroll around darling harbour in close proximity was an experience of a lifetime.

Cost us $31.60 AU to get to Aiden Best Western Darling Harbor from Circle Que. Reception was a small desk in a bar/eating area. Nice young guy checked us in and sent us to Room 106 which turned out to be a handicap room. The bathroom was larger than the bedroom. There was no place to put my bag, no desk or table, and you could only get into the bed from one side. We went back down and for an upgrade charge of $50 AU per night we got room 702. This room had a large entry with coat rack, coffee fixings and an in-room safe. The bedroom had a nice king bed with a really soft comforter and four nice pillows. The desk area was small but I had an electrical outlet and a small lamp. We had ample area for both our bags at the foot of the bed. The bathroom had a nice walk-in shower with two heads to choose from and a toilet with a rectangular seat. The AC system was easy to use and made the room very comfortable.

We stayed only one night, but the hotel seems good value for money. Our only complaint was the very compact room, the bed was against the window and as only approachable on one side. The room and the public areas were clean and tidy. It is well located a very short stroll to the Darling Harbour precinct. We would recommended the hotel for travellers on a restricted budget.

I booked this hotel online but didn't pay much attention to the room space. The check in was smooth but got a bit surprised how squeezed the room was especially the bed area. Interestingly, the bathroom and toilet space was quite generous. The hotel location is just by the Darling Harbour closer to shopping areas like Westfield Mall and King's Street. The Hotel offers basic breakfast but very well prepared. Their coffee is to die for. The best part of the Hotel was the staff. The customer care was great and they were very helpful. Special mention to Ms. Vanier who was such a darling. The daily room cleaning was ok but could ahve been better. Other than the price that was a bit steep (like most things in Sydney), this is a place I would come back to.

Had a great time with friends here! Although the room has limited space but the amenities such as Dyson hairdryer, steamer and Rituals bathroom amenities which added an extra touch of luxury to the stay. The location of the hotel is convenient which is close to the tram station, 24hrs convenience store just around the corner, and a short distance walk to Townhall. I was so amazed by the water station on each floor that you can refill your bottle at any time. They also have a tap for sparkling water which is another bonus point for them!! Love it!

The on-site restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for socialization and relaxation, as well as a good selection of bar and breakfast menu options.

Me and my sister had a great stay at Aiden Hotel Darling Harbour in Sydney. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The room was clean and comfortable, with nice touches like high-quality lotion and a Dyson hair dryer, which was a great bonus. I really liked the water and sparkling water stations on each floor—it was a great convenience. The hotel's location is perfect, close to Darling Harbour and other attractions. Overall, I had a really enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend it.

Great hotel with the highlight being sparkling and still water access on each floor. The room was perfect for what we needed and loved that we could cast to the tv from our phones. Location was also great as it was near a train station as well as the maritime museum.

Needed somewhere to stay close to the Convention Centre for work. Aiden was only a 400m walk from the Convention Centre and so many other great sights... Staff very helpful, room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Also able to complete a 40 minute morning walk to see the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House to get some photos.

Need to improve evening meal selection. Breakfast selection great. Everything else fine Clean and comfortable. Room this time more spacious then last visit. Good location and staff were great The staff at front bar excellent and very accommodating especially the young Asian female on the breakfast shift. She had great customer service skills

I can't fault this spot. The service from arrival to departure was 5 star, including bag storage after I checked out and returning to the Cafe for a cold drink after a busy days shopping. Absolutely perfect for a solo traveller, and very clever with place and storage. Loved the bathroom and duel head shower. Sheets were really crispy, slept like a log. 100% will be my go to spot for sydney

We had one night at Aiden Hotel, it is a fantastic hotel. We love the Art Work in the rooms & the lobby. We also liked the history of the building. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms and clean & tidy. Nice tolieties. The staff are friendly and helpful. Yummy breakfast. Thanks so much. We would love to stay here again in the future.

The hotel is excellent located in darling harbor. Close to Railway. Close to citycenter. It has excellent breakfast and dinner! Go there, you will be surprised how good a hotel stay can be. The stuff is super friendly and helps you with everything. Also I need to point out, that the room was in excellent condition, all brand new. Will go there again.

We had an overnight in Sydney, as on way to Cruise and what a great hotel. Room had twin beds, great tv, good shower and breakfast downstairs in the morning. Across the road is the walking bridge to Darling Harbour and we spent great Sunday afternoon exploring Madam Tussaud wax museum and a museum. Very clean and organised - highly recommend

Absolutely amazing from the staff to the room. Although the room is small, it was top notch. Nice and clean, very updated and all necessities at hands reach. Kudos to the staff!!! They help assist with lost luggage from airport as well as quickly ship an item I had left behind. A+ Staff and accommodation

Modern and comfortable restaurant and bar. Very pleasant and friendly staff that make you feel comfortable and accomodate to your requests. Our hotel wasn't tidy enough to make us comfortable. Visible dust on carpet, benches and around the place including cups, glasses and inside coffee machine. Cups and glasses were unusable with previous coffee, mild and lipstick stains and no way of washing them. Unpleasant strong oder from fridge. Not too clean. Bathroom wasn't too bad but there was visible hair from previous stayers and our thongs would leave "dirt" marks on tiles so clearly it wasn't that clean either. Otherwise it was a decent stay.

This was a quick overnight trip. The hotel was in a central local with walking distance to darling harbour dining and the city. Check in was quite easy with 2 kiosk where you can check self check in and it even gives you the room key. I stayed in a mural view room. It is really small but that was ok for me as it an overnight trip. The bathroom was a good size and modern. The room had a pod coffee machine with different pod strength coffee to choose from. One thing I found convenient was that on every level there is a free flowing sparkling and a still water tap. So it is included and you can refill whenever you want. I found this better than a bottle in the mini fridge because once you run out of that you have to either refill it in the tap or go to reception. So having something just outside your room to refill from is very helpful. My booking included breakfast. Be aware that if you get included breakfast it is not a buffet, instead is table service and you get to choose 1 meal and 1 drink. This happens right in the lobby where there are some table.s There is no restaurant per se. Otherwise if you don't have breakfast included you can just choose from a menu like you would in any restaurant. The menu options were good including anything from eggs on toast to eggs Benedict and avocado toast. I believe you can see prices online. Overall It was a good stay and I would recommend it. Just be aware of the length of your stay and the room size you pick + the included breakfast being 1 meal and 1 drink rather than a buffet as it is at most other hotels. I think for Aiden this may be more due to not having the physical space to run a Buffett breakfast.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel on recent trip. We selected this hotel as it is close to the the venues for thearte and muscical performances we had booked and within walking distance of the CBD (15 - 20 minutes) Check in was smooth and efficient and there is a self serve reservation desk if reception is unattended. Decor is modern and clean throughout public areas. The room we booked was small but well equiped and inexpensive. We tend to book cheaper rooms as we don't spend a lot of time in them. The shower had good water pressure and hot water and hand wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner supplied, which were avialable for purchase. The sleeping area had a wall mounted TV facing the bed, a telephone and clock on a small bedside table and a nook for the bar fridge and tea/cofffee facilities. Storage was adequate with some hanging space and two draws, one containg a personal safe. Beneath the TV was a small ledge which we used to store small items but we used the window sills for larger objects like kobo readers, tablets and head phones. There are no chairs in this type of room but the hotel provides to comfortable lounges in reception. There is a breakfast/dinner area on the ground floor along with a bar and coffee shop which provides breakfast from 6am onwards and coffee and bar service until 10am. At 10 the front doors are locked and access is via the room key. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Darling Harbour. There are resturants of various standards close by, a Coles supermarket and bottle shop within a block and across the Pyrmont bridge a range of tourist attractions suitable for a family. If you want to relax in your room, travelling with children or staying longer I suggest booking a larger room than the one we booked (standard double)

We had booked the two balcony rooms on the 6th floor which were lovely. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of room for all our luggage. The breakfast was also very nice. However, we did have a cockroach problem which the staff didn't seem to take seriously. We spotted some while having an evening drink on our balcony. On heading down to report it to reception we found a dead cockroach by the lift. One of the receptionists came back up to have a look and said she would bring some spray back with her. Two hours later she still hadn't returned so we went back to reception to be given a can of spray to DIY! Part of the issue was getting the receptionist to understand what we were asking for. Language was definitely an issue during our stay although the staff were very pleasant. Having emailed the manager on our return he has assured me that there had been a misunderstanding and that the problem would be addressed with the staff concerned. We appreciate that these creatures are a part of Australian life but just feel that action should have been taken immediately. That said, I would still recommend the hotel situated very close to beautiful Darling Harbour.

Excellent choice for me. The rooms are small but well thought out. The shower gel in the rooms was by ritual and such a treat. I thought for what I paid it was a fair offering. The staff are helpful and always on hand and for central Sydney you can't go wrong. I was also impressed you could use a local gym for free and this was an excellent bonus. Also it is much better than a hotel gym and had loads of equipment. Breakfast was included and made the stay even better. Sydney as always was a delight.

The Hotel has a lot going for it. Great location, modern, clean, nice staff and good food. However I would have to say the rooms are a little off in that there is very little storage space and no seating other than the bed. Al in all we enjoyed our stay.
