Aiden by Best Western Skavsta Airport

My girlfriend and I had a cancelled flight from Skavsta airport so we were luckily given a room here to stay for 2 more nights. The first thing that struck me was the size of the triple height lobby which contains a bar, buffet, crèche, and double height balcony with a pool table and seating. The music is nice and ambient which creates a relaxed mood and the decor is contemporary and easy on the eye. The rooms are basic and we did have issues with the water but the beds were comfortable. The reception staff and friendly and helpful but the breakfast options were limited.

Good looking very modern hotel right next to the airport. The cheapest rooms come up with bunk beds that sleep up to 4 people, you have to make the bed yourself (provided, but the comforter sheet is hard to put on), and you use a shared bathroom outside of your room, which I accidentally partially flooded because the shower head went straight forward and caused water to go out from under the door. But the free breakfast was very much appreciated, and even had vegan cheese, non-dairy milk, and lots of breads and fruits. It's only a few minute walk away from the small airport. Just to let everyone know, even for the private bunkbed bedroom, there is a private shower/bathroom in the hallway as well as a shared one with actual shower doors for women (but the men's shared bathroom doesn't have private showers). Also, the train ride from Stockholm to get to the city's central station was very nice but then ride share was not really an option to get to the hotel and it was 45 minutes in between each 15 minute bus ride, but taxi is an option if you go outside.

Staff members, waitress, reception staff was so nice, helpful, sweet..., atmosphere was simply amazing. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable. Thank you for amazing stay I definitely will visit this place again.

Great place to stay, when you have late arrival and then morning departure. The room is functional and stylish, not very large, with good bathroom with shower. Unfortunately, no small fridge. Beds are very comfortable. The hotel reception is helpful, they speak perfect English. They accept only card payments. The breakfast is good buffet with selection so you won't starve. There is FlixBus stop 50 meters from the hotel and also from there you can take a bus to Nyköping. There is a small aviation F11 Museum in 850m, it is not always open, but you always can see at least Gripen outside.

Good value, if I ever fly in to skavsta again I would stay again. It is very convenient. That said I was shocked at the rooms, I booked on a whim and hadnt realised it was shared facilities. What's more you have to make your own bed! (Linen provided). It's more like a hostel. (Which I'm well used to, just wasn't expecting this) The contrast of the rooms to the plush reception is stark. However it does mean that the lounge and bar area is very nice to relax in. The sauna was a nice addition. And a welcome bonus. The continental breakfast buffet was plentiful and had good coffee So despite the simple rooms it is definitely excellent value. I'd like to mention the reception staff too, very friendly and helpful. Flixbus operates from nearby with local buses to nykoping and Stockholm. However the most direct option is the flygbuss from terminal direct to Stockholm city. Around 20€ and is very frequent. There is a flying museum and some tree lined streets nearby too. Once you get past the airport there is actually some pleasant areas for an evening stroll, if like me, you like to get out and about.
