As a business traveler, I have stayed at many hotels. I found the staff, accommodations and family feel of this hotel to be superior to similar hotels I have stayed out. I highly recommend this hotel! P.S., the breakfast bar was outstanding too!
Don't stay here. Too many better options. Previous occupants socks & underwear were in the room upon arrival. The deal breaker was something red running down the bathroom wall near the toilet. Scary & disgusting. The road noise was LOUD. I slept with earplugs & a pillow over my head to fall asleep. Some Best Westerns are terrific & others are not. This one is a hard no. Secured parking is $15/ night. Free parking is a big “take your chances “. It felt super sketchy here. John at front desk was super reasonable & accommodating. The bed & room size was acceptable. But excessive noise & poor sanitation are not ok.
Due to a lack of parking at your establishment, we were forced to park in a grocery store parking lot. There were numerous items stolen from our company truck. I understand you are not responsible for lost items, but not having a reasonably safe place to park vehicles for your customers is unacceptable in my opinion. This reflects poorly on your establishment and community.
Look no further! Full breakfast (a rarity these days) and a happy staff! We had a minor issue and the management immediately took care of it. You can rest assured of a great stay and know that if there is an issue it will be handled quickly, happily and professionally-another rarity!
Best Western City Center in Spokane, WA was exceptional. With clean well appointed rooms, a great breakfast & very attentive staff members my made stay was both pleasant & restful. There are many great dining, shopping and lounge locations within walking distance & I'm looking forward to returning to the Best Western City Center in Spokane!!
Their motto is excellence. I have stayed there many time for the past 15 years. The staff is friends and very helpful. The owners strive to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this Best Western in downtown Spokane, Washington
We stayed at this hotel after summiting mount Adams. We booked a king size room with the jet tub in hopes of soaked and relaxing our sore muscles. Location was convenient , room was clean, and staff was friendly. The biggest issue was the noise. The “fireside suite” is located on the corner of the building facing downtown traffic. All night the noise of louder vehicles penetrated our sleep and resulted in a pretty restless night. If your unperturbed with the noise of traffic then it's a great little room with some good amenities, but sleep was definitely lacking that night.
The hotel itself is fine. Check in was ok. Room was older. The sheets and towels were threadbare. There was mold in the toilet. The room is very loud from the traffic-even in the night. We didn't feel safe walking around, and when we asked the hotel staff (and our server at Saranac) if it was safe to walk around-we got an “it's safe enough” he told us about a touristy park we could go to, but it want safe at night. The conference center is across the street. We were not there for a conference, so I cannot speak about that. The breakfast was subpar-area was cramped, selection as expected. There were scones. And the attendant was lovely. I would not stay here again.
This is hands down the very best place to stay in Spokane. Clean, modern with a caring, efficient staff. I highly recommend it!
Tucked in by the Convention Center, clean, frames rooms and easy access to parts of Spokane. I highly recommend this property to anyone es ting a beautiful room.
This facility seems a bit tired, but the hospitality and friendliness of staff was excellent. Good breakfast, clean lobby, fresh atmosphere, secure parking, however, 2 drawbacks... noisy traffic until late hours and sheets that were either stained or unclean. These made our stay less than comfortable.
While in many respects a perfectly normal kind of downtown Best Western, I have to give shout out to their staff. Many hotel breakfasts have eggs that have sat too long, were overcooked or had some other defect. The scrambled eggs three days running were the best I have had in a long time, fluffy and moist without being soggy. A small thing, maybe, but it made the stay noticeably nicer. The property itself is quite nice; there was daily maid service (which many places backed off on after COVID). Parking free in their outdoor lot but if busy, might not have a space; can pay $15/day to park in the interior garage.
Good breakfast, friendly staff, more reasonable rates and a beautiful aquarium to see behind the check-in counter! This hotel is only a very short walk from the convention center and other hotels that host conferences in the area. The only drawback is that front facing rooms face the traffic noise and lights of a main street in Spokane though the traffic noise dies down at night.
Tub/shower had a lot of body hair and an orange ring around the drain. Sink also had body hair and debri with an orange ring around the drain. Both the tub and sink were extremely slow draining and we showered while standing in water. Walls had stuff and smudges in random places. Around door handles was dirty and the carpet had debri and hair. We had to use a white noise to drown out the street noise. Friendly staff, many breakfast options but not so much for my gf/df diet restrictions. Convenient location.
Excellent, friendly well informed staff. The location and ease of access is perfect. We always enjoy a walk to and through the park. Cit center shopping is also easy.
Beds were comfortable after a long day. The customer service were amazing, very attentive. Will be staying again.
First time traveling with an infant.. they were so helpful. Brought me a pack n play, got me milk for me for my midnight feeding snack and helped me bring my stuff up when I had my baby in my hands. Had to go out to my car at night. I see a sketchy person in the parking lot. Went to turn around and go back inside... just to see the night cleark standing at the doors watching out for me and looked out for me. I never felt so safe at a hotel
Very fine and over-the-top friendly staff: they were helpful in calling a cab for a very early morning departure; they prepared a marvelous snack bag to take on the plane; they always greeted you when you arrived back to the hotel at the end of the day. Such friendly service deserves praise.
We spent two nights at this hotel. Our Yorkie had to have cataract surgery at Washington State University. The staff made our stay with Lord Bentley (our Yorkie) very comfortable and were so kind and friendly. Bentley enjoyed all the attention he received from everyone! The hotel and the rooms were extremely clean and it had coffee ready anytime. A definite plus for my husband! The breakfast was fantastic and the lady who organized and kept the food hot and ready was absolutely a sweetheart! The entire staff from the front desk to the room cleaners were polite, helpful, and very kind. We definitely will stay there again. We highly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Spokane, Washington.
Surrounded by restaurants, entertainment venues, parks, shopping... but for our needs, medical, this hotel is .4 miles from Providence Heart Institue. After stressful procedures in a city I don't know well, the straight shot from hospital to hotel room was SO appreciated. We will come here again and again. Noisy traffic? Yes. It's a city. Did it keep us awake. Definitely not. The staff is incredible. The complimentary breakfast is REAL food. Delicious! Thank you, Tania at check in!
This hotel is great. The staff is very nice. The room and the rest of the hotel is very clean. The location allows us to walk to the theater or the convention center. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. It has become our go to hotel in Spokane. I guess the only small bad comment is, why do they have those little pillows at Best Westerns?
We literally just left this hotel and enjoyed our visit so much I wanted to review it before I forget. We stayed in the king suite with the jacuzzi tub (which was amazing). The rooms were clean, spacious, and had most of the amenities you need for a lengthy stay. We are locals that had a burst pipe and this place made us feel welcome from the time we checked in to when you checked out. And Dan, who runs the morning breakfast 3 days a week is an absolute gem. One of the most pleasant individuals I've probably ever met let alone that worked at a breakfast in a hotel. He was so welcoming to every single person who walked into breakfast every single day and made sure to make us feel at home, which in a situation like ours, meant everything. I'm not too sure if she was the owner who checked us out (but totally gave me owner vibes) but she was equally amazing and made sure to let us know we were welcome back and sympathized with our situation. This is a mid level hotel with 5 star hospitality all the way, I'd stay here again solely for this. Also, the fridges in the rooms were of decent size and it was great to have a microwave there. They also have covered parking available. Breakfast varies on the day but you can usually find scrambled eggs, cereal, bagels, potatoes, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy and more options. It's also so close to many other dining options to walk to or get delivered from. My only one “complain” which really isn't a complain is a few things in the room could be a little updated. If I had to stay at a hotel in Spokane again, it would likely be here.
Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very conveniently located, and I appreciated having a secure garage for parking my car. The staff were welcoming and provided excellent service. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. I had everything I needed, and I was comfortable. I have already booked for another visit next month.
I always stay at the Best Western Plus City Center for business travel. It's very easy to check in and check out, they offer a lovely morning breakfast, and a very homey comfortable lobby area for visits with local friends. I highly recommend staying at the Best Western Plus City Center when traveling with family or for work! Thank you to the entire staff for all your kindness and generosity!
Thank you Best Western for a great stay as we finished off our trip and prepared to fly out of Spokane. Stacy at the front desk was very kind and generous, greeting us so warmly and allowing us to check in a bit early so we could do online check-in for our flight. You can walk to the big concert venue and the riverside parks, as well as everywhere downtown. While downtown Spokane is not in the greatest shape, these blocks host much more expensive hotels, making this one a bargain. We parked in the lot out front and our car was safe. The Montana lady who runs the breakfast room is delightful and friendly, and the food was excellent and plentiful. The cleaning staff were also friendly and efficient, the room was spotless. This hotel is well managed, we felt safe and recommend it as a dependable, comfortable home in Spokane.
We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. The staff were very friendly and helpful, felt more like they were part of a family rather than just co-workers. The morning coffee was excellent and the breakfast was satisfactory. We parked in the underground parking but the outside parking would have been fine, the area seemed safer than I assumed it would be. There was actually less homeless activity in the area then I thought we would encounter. Bit of a chemical cleaning smell in the building but we just popped our window open to get some fresh air, and the shower was a bit basic, but still did the job. All in all we were happy with our stay and found the atmosphere very hospitable and welcoming.
We were going to a concert in downtown Spokane and chose the Best Western for its convenient location and parking and also because we had stayed there before and had a great experience. This time we stayed in the king executive suite, which is a 2 room balcony suite with 2 bathrooms and even has a hot tub in the bedroom. We watched the sunset from the big balcony. The room was very clean and well appointed with amenities. The front desk staff was friendly and fun, they gave us some great recommendations for restaurants. Breakfast was amazing, they had the works and the breakfast staff was cheerful. Loved the waffle!
Best Western Plus City Center was an ideal location to attend the concert at First Interstate Center. We received an event discount, and it was a short walk to the venue. Hotel staff was outstanding, from initial book and throughout our stay. There were four in our group and all were impressed with all aspects of our stay. Thank you.
The location and clean rooms are the big plus for this hotel. The staff is helpful and friendly. It's extra special if being back to the hotel at the right time to have a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie! One issue comes up from time to time: They have limited parking spaces, including pay for inside garage parking and you must find parking elsewhere.
This Best Western is outstanding. Not only is it located right in the heart of Spokane, but the staff is also amazing. From reception to housekeeping to the breakfast staff - everyone is super friendly and welcoming. We stay here every time we visit Spokane. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the downtown area.
This Best Western is not only people friendly, but very pet friendly too! My dog and I stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions while she had surgery up the road and the staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly to us. They gave us our privacy and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. This location is close to the Animal Eye Clinic as well as walking distance of Riverside Park. The rooms are a great size and kept very nice. Because I eat only plant-based, there were plenty of options at breakfast for my needs, along with a selection of non-dairy milks in the fridge which I really appreciated. The hotel is also right next to the Community Co-Op and a vegan food and bakery across the street, so no problem finding enough to eat in the area! Breakfast had enough with bagels, oatmeal, and fruit and the coffee is really good, which is important to me. (Available all hours too). They have garage parking if needed, which is a really nice option. Watch out for the sprinklers in the early morning if you are out walking your dog in the grassy areas! They turned on while we were out there (more than once), and lucky for us, it was a really hot week and a nice cool surprise! The staff is VERY nice and always helpful. Just ask if you need anything. They are never too busy to help. We will be back and hopefully can use our points in the future to come and enjoy the town now that my pup has her eyesight back and can see the sights! One thing to note (not the hotel's fault) is that this hotel is on a very busy corner and the traffic is pretty loud. If you are a light sleeper, make sure you ask for a room furthest away from the elevator. It's much quieter at the far end of the hall.
We left fires in our hometown in BC (Canada)and ended up being stranded in Spokane because of another fire. Nick was extremely helpful in getting us a room right away. He was efficient and kind in a very troubling time for us. The stay itself was amazing as well. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was a treat, lots to choose from and tasted great. Location is also really good if you are visiting, lots within walking distance. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for a great experience and stay.
Please do not stay at this hotel. Staff is extremely rude. Beds are uncomfortable. Breakfast is disgusting. No parking. Terrible part of town. Absolutely awful. Not a safe environment. Staff does absolutely nothing to help you with your concerns.
This Best Western is in a perfect location and an extremely good value. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms very spacious and comfortable, and the staff is delightful. A delicious breakfast was offered each day.
A winning location, walkable to the Riverfront, shopping, bars and restaurants. Nice feature: secure covered parking (for a reasonable fee). Large rooms have windows which can open, a large refrigerator, small TV, though. Bed: B, Pillows: C, AC: B, Shower: B- (good pressure, slippery tub, needs a nonslip mat).
Okay, I'm a BW fan. They're not all perfect but this one lives up to expectations. We opted for garage parking since we were loaded with gifts, and it was 100% secure. We did the ‘pre-check in' online which made getting the room key a breeze. Dude at the front counter was super nice and made us feel welcome. The room was everything we look for: clean, modern, great beds. Sink is separate from the shower, always a plus. Very good comp breakfast. Everyone we came in contact with was nice! Walking distance to the park and Convention center. Just well done all the way around!
We had a great stay at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable, with a great breakfast on offer. The staff were all helpful and friendly. It's in a good location, within walking distance to lots of restaurants and the river park.
The rooms were amazing beds comfortable. Allowed my dog who is family had treats for him. Only wish they had smoking rooms would of been 10 stars then. I would recommend best Western plus ro all rooms are a good rate.
This hotel is number 1 in my books. Great service, wonderful breakfast. great rooms and perfect location. They have a pretty good exercise room. I love the fresh chocolate chip cookies baked every night :-)
This hotel was great. Right next to a bunch of things downtown so everything was walking distance. Staff was fantastic. Hotel amenities very great and the room itself was super clean and nice. Definitely recommend!
We travel all over and usually stay at Best Western. We are Diamond select members. The front desk wanted to charge us for an upgrade. Hotel is in a very good location but loud and the rooms are nice. Not a plus hotel
Property is clean and in a good location. Don't expect any customer service though. Our TV wasn't working. Called front desk and were told they can't do anything. There are better choices near by where they actually have customer service and act like they care.
Had a great experience. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The staff was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to shopping and easy to get into/out of. Garage parking was a plus.
Excellent service! Extremely friendly staff (including breakfast staff and cleaning staff!). Clean rooms. Quiet. Very good hot breakfast too! This is my second stay and definitely would recommend it to friends and family. If you are attending an event at the First Interstate Center for the Arts, they will also give you a discount!
We have been staying at this hotel for the last 5 years. It is in the perfect location when staying downtown. Staff is attentive, breakfast has lots of options, across from the convention center and close to everything. Market right around the corner and great restaurants close by along with Riverfront Park and Aunties Bookstore. It continues to be our favorite hotel in downtown Spokane!
Stayed the night and it was exactly what was needed and in a great location with conveniences within distance of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent in the morning with everything we could want. The room was spectacular
My family (spouse and 2 teenage boys) really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it. We stayed in a double queen room on the 4th floor towards one of the ends of the hotel. When staying in the Spokane area to visit family we will definitely book a room here again. This hotel is off a busy street downtown, but we were surprised that we heard no vehicle traffic or people up walking around in the hotel. The beds were amazing!!!! This is coming from someone that has chronic back pain. The staff (Jon, Dan and Jesse) were very pleasant our entire stay and were more then willing to help us out if we needed anything. The breakfast was hot (eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles) etc, with fruit, yogurt and pastries. I love having my coffee in the mornings and it was pleasant sitting there in the breakfast area, not over crowded seeing the convention center across the street which is along the waterfront area, making it easy access and within walking distance to the attractions. One thing I liked the most was the fact that this hotel has been newly remodeled and was VERY clean. Thank you to the staff for being professional and friendly and to the owners for providing a great place for people to stay when they come into town.
I stayed here while at a conference and certainly would do so again. It has comfortable rooms, a very friendly staff, and a good breakfast with coffee. (Other conference goers were wondering where I got my coffee!) It has has a big beautiful aquarium behind the desk that I enjoyed. One warning is that this hotel is right on a major thoroughfare. I was on the far side of the road and could only hear the loud vehicles that occasionally roared through; it may be noisier on the side facing the road.
Really nice updated hotel. I live in Spokane and stayed here during an event going on downtown. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is! The room was very nice (I was very impressed with the quality of the sheets!) the staff was very nice and helpful and it was so nice to have the free breakfast option. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again!
Travelling with family (4 kids) booked a suite 2 queens and a pullout. After checking in and going up to our room we discovered the bed not made and no bedding in the room. No apologies, rude staff on a big family and got to go collect our bedding.
We stayed one night in Spokane after a week of lake boating adventures as we had an early flight the next day. This property was within easy walking distance to restaurants (1 block) for our grand finale family dinner. Property is clean and new and close proximity (10 -15 minutes) to Spokant Intl Airport and car rental return.
My wife and I stayed at the City Center while riding the Four Corners Motorcycle tour. It was easy to find from I-90, and easy to get back on. There are several dining options within walking distance.
We flew in to Spokane on a late flight (when I booked online, I added this to my notes for the hotel). Our flight was delayed making our arrival later than expected. When we finally did arrive at the hotel, it was 1:00 am. We went to check in and there was no parking available for our car. None in the garage nor in front of the hotel. The man at the front desk apologized, but said it was a Friday night and there was a concert, so the hotel was full. Basically saying not my problem. My husband said that was not acceptable. The man said we were welcome to park behind the hotel or across the street, but either way it would need to be moved by 8:00 am because that is when those businesses opened. My husband said that was absolutely ridiculous. It was at this point that the man tried to find an alternative solution, but it did not work for us because the garage was for compact vehicles. It was 1:00 am and by the time we were unloaded, space for vehicle found, it was 2:30 am by the time we crawled in to bed, however we needed to be up early to move the car. When my husband came in from moving the car the next morning (there was one parking space open) he went to the front desk to speak to the new man there. My husband explained what had happened the night before and he received the same excuse and explanation as the night before- not the hotels problem. The hotel has the information on the website and they tell people when they book over the phone about parking. The man told my husband that the assistant general manager comes in at 1:00pm and would have him call us. We were out with family, enjoying our grand kids when my phone rang. It was the assistant general manager. He said that it sounds like we had a problem from the night before and that my husband was verbally abusive to his front desk staff. What??? My husband had not been happy, but he was not verbally abusive. He asked straight forward questions. The assistant manager actually demanded an apology from my husband. The phone call concluded with us letting them know we were on our way back to move to another hotel. (We were supposed to stay three nights) We went back to the hotel packed our bags and went to check out. Once at the front desk, my husband explained that on the website under hotel overview, it states parking is free and that the hotel also offers a climate controlled parking garage for a minimal charge. That is deceptive wording. It should say limited free parking and it is first come first serve. In order to find the limited parking information, you have to go to hotel amenities and right click through several tabs to find this information and I only found it because I was looking for something more about parking after this situation occurred. Two things here: First, after reading free parking (which came first on the website), why would you think there is anything else to read about parking? This is the first hotel I have ever been to that did not guarantee at least one parking space with the cost of a room. Second, the information on limited parking is buried on the website. If this is a difficulty that people have in coming to this hotel, this should be closer to the top of the website so that when people are trying to find a hotel, they can make an informed decision about booking, based on parking and if they might not get a spot. This is the first hotel that we have ever been to where the management did not recognize their responsibility to provide the services and accommodations that were paid for and we were the ones in the wrong for stating the obvious. We went to another hotel on the other end of town (Best Western) and not only has their staff been great, but the room is amazing and we have a parking spot. There was no offer of compensation for our inconvenience with the parking nor the unprofessional way in which the management conducted themselves with us. This was our first trip to Spokane. We looked at reviews and through the hotel websites to see what was offered. We chose this hotel because it was close to our kids and it looked like a decent hotel, although a little pricey. As we neared the hotel from the airport, we noticed that there were homeless people, people sleeping on the sidewalk near the hotel, sleeping in business doorways, filth and trash, and this hotel is surrounded by busy streets (which we could hear through our window) with cars racing until early in the morning. You can see why were apprehensive about leaving our vehicle on the street where we could not see it. The management of this hotel is fully aware of the parking situation on a daily basis and yet, continues to book the hotel beyond capacity, thus leaving paying customers on the street.
We stayed two nights. We never used our car as we could walk to Riverfront Park, around the downtown area, and to the Gonzaga campus. The hotel has the added benefit of a grocery store located around the corner. It's an older building but our 4th floor room was comfortable. I couldn't get the coffee maker in the room to work our first day, so I called the desk. Later in the day a maintenance man came to our room to check it out. He was able to get it to work and with his magic touch it worked fine for me the next morning. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Spokane.
The hotel seems in need of a major update. The elevator was not always working and there didn't seem to be any repairs going on. There was a lot of street noise and the front of the building. The front was taken up with cars and school buses, making it difficult for us to get in and out. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was above average.
Best place in Spokane. Super Clean rooms. Breakfast is great. Chili's restaurant across street. Coffe shops an people watch. Easy in an out just couple blocks off I90. River walk. Very quiet area, no traffic noise.
I don't know why we haven't stayed here before. It's a clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. It's a great value and includes a hot breakfast and free parking. It's close to restaurants and clubs and is an easy walk to the performing arts and convention centers. It will be our new go-to place when we travel to the city.
Friendly and helpful staff all around. Breakfast was good. Well stocked, lot's of options. Location is known for vehicle break ins, but there is a basement parking option. This does however cost an additional $15 a night, per car. That's after an already spendy per night cost. No pool/hot tub. Internet was stable but slow. Wireless only, no wired option. Area is right near a main intersection and traffic noise from more obnoxious street racers is noticeable. There are a number of restaurants/bars within walking distance, Chili's being right across the street.
This hotel is centrally located in downtown Spokane. It is in walking distance to many of the local venues. Property well-kept and rooms were clean. Personal were pleasant and willing to help. We had a problem with the toilet which was promptly fixed.
The City Center is a great place with huge clean rooms, a full breakfast, very comfy beds, friendly staff and on site parking - but what tips it all the way past excellent is the location. We walked out the front door and only crossed one street to get to the convention center to see a trade fair. So easy!!! We were in town to do the Bloomsday race and again this place was the perfect location as we were just several blocks from our starting area for the race. This Best Western Plus is also close to riverfront park, restaurants and downtown shopping. Took my family to ride the carousel. This is the place to be. I highly recommend it.
Very comfortable hotel with reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable with all our questions. Very good free breakfast included with the stay. Great location for everything going on in downtown and the convention center. The rooms very clean and comfortable with great LG TV's! Love the beds as well. Easy parking with garage parking available as well. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Best Western City Center in Spokane when you visit here.
Have stayed here a few times now. Always super friendly staff, super clean and comfortable rooms, and within walking distance to lots of restaurants! I've read a few negative reviews of this hotel but that is not the case whatsoever. Great experience every visit!
The front desk staff were very friendly and thoughtful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with different varieties, and the service lady was very pleasant to talk to. The location is convenient and the room is clean. We had a very good stay.
Have stayed here several times and liked the joint. Clean, nice location, prices are a bit steep but not too crazy, rooms good, some amenities. I really like the underground parking garage they have. Keeps my car safe in downtown Spokane where car theft is up 90%. This time though I made the mistake of showing up with a small trailer. I had paid my garage fee and was pulling it in when the desk clerk ran out and told me "no trailers". There was plenty of room in the garage though. At least 2/3 of the spots were vacant, and there were three stalls out of the way in the back where I could park and cause no trouble at all. Not only that, but there was no place to park in the outside lot for me. I was told I could park across the street, but I didn't want to risk my trailer being broken into. That's why I stayed here in the first place. I was told the policy is no trailers. Except on their website, there is nothing about a no-trailer policy where it explains parking policy. I ended up in a heated argument with the guy, explaining I didn't want my stuff stolen and parking here with my trailer in a lot that was 2/3 empty at 10pm at night was not going to cause him nor the hotel any issues what-so-ever. That he needed to follow Best Western's "Reasonable Guest Accommodation" policy and to just knock it off and I'd be gone by 7 am the next day since that's when my appointment was. The dude went ballistic. It was like I was trying to deal crack in the lobby. I was astounded. The next day as I was trying to check out, the new clerk must have been told I was the "horrific trailer guy" and went off on me as well - like somehow that was going to change the past and help anything and didn't care about all the other guests waiting in line. As I defended myself explaining why I made the very reasonable choice I did, she threatened to call the police. I said "go ahead, I'm going to finish explaining my decision". I didn't swear. I didn't threaten. She called 911 anyway. I'm sure people who had real emergencies and couldn't get through appreciated the line being tied up over someone explaining why he didn't want his trailer stolen. After that, I finished up what I had to say to and left. Will never go back. They may have a policy where only certified EMTs can perform medical intervention on a guest, and if you choke on the breakfast their staff would stand there and watch you die rather than take 10 seconds to give you the Heimlich maneuver. Insane!
I have stayed here many times and have so much fun every time I stay! The staff is helpful and fun, the location is central, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Will recommend to anyone staying in Spokane.
A friend and I planned a trip to Spokane via train to see a show, and I selected Best Western City Center based on it's proximity to the train station and the First Interstate Center for the Arts. Frankly I think I made an excellent choice! The Amtrak was late; we arrived at 3 am, so we were grateful it was only a short 4 blocks from the station to the hotel. The desk clerk, Jonathan, told us breakfast ended at 930 during the week, and since I wasn't sure I would be up in time, I asked if we could maybe a get a couple of bagged breakfasts to pick up when we emerged for the day. He passed the request on to Candy, and when we headed out around 10 or so, she retrieved them from the fridge. We each had a bagel with cream cheese, some water and OJ and some fruit! We were able to explore the Riverfront Park, the Riverfront Shopping Center, we discuss seeing a movie at the AMC, and we even visited the REI (although that was a bit of a trek, maybe a mile or a little more from the hotel). The First Interstate Center is next to the Convention Center, which is literally across the street from the hotel. We were a little disappointed that the local restaurants we had hoped to check out were closed (although the Mexican restaurant will soon be a Brazilian restaurant), but we were delighted to discover that the food coop behind the hotel sells hot burritos and burrito bowls, and also has a salad bar (green and pasta salad). They also carry wine and beer, cheeses, snacks, frozen food and more. We also had a delicious, affordable meal with wonderful, friendly service at the Chili's that is also across the street. My only complaints were that whoever was staying in the room above us (we were on the 3rd floor) seemed to spend all day moving furniture around, which was rather noisy, and that the room didn't have an overhead light, just lamps (this seems to be trend in hotels in the last 5 years or so). We checked out Saturday morning, and were told that the hotel would show our bags for us for the day. We returned around 7 pm, figuring we'd spend an hour or two in the lobby before heading to the train station. When the desk clerk found out why we were there, not only did he encourage us to stay as long as we wanted, he also offered us bottled water and checked on us periodically to make sure we were good and didn't need anything else. When we left at 11, he made sure we knew that we were welcome stay longer so that we didn't have to spend 2 hours at the train station waiting for the train (which ended up being 5 hours late that morning). Overall I was very impressed with the staff. In fact, all of the employees I encountered at all of the establishments in Spokane were friendly and helpful- it was only the peke out and about on their own tim that seems to be crabby and have frowns on their faces.
Extremely Rude to visitors with a horribly snotty attitude. Could not be bothered to answer questions about local fare. Came from back room looking like she slept in her clothes in the middle of the day.
The Best Western Plus in Spokane is a great value. It's clean, friendly and the food is excellent. Easy on and off the freeway (I 90) Walking distance to several restaurants, under cover parking available.
Staff person in charge of the breakfast area was very pleasant, kind, and gives Best Western a good name. Very helpful with restaurants in the area and served us well for our 3 night stay. Although jetted tub was dirty, after cleaning it, was great to relax in. Fireplace worked well, kept warm, and made the suite cozy.
The water was hot, the bed was comfortable and the staff were nice! Entertainment and restaurants were close. I was able to get extra towels and facecloths. There was lots of parking and the convention center was across the street.
The staff and facility at Best Western Plus City Center in Spokane, WA are top notch! Staff was personable and helpful, the facility is well maintained and clean, and the breakfast offered was amazing!
Friendly staff, very clean, great location breakfast was incredible and garage parking!! My mom had same-day-surgery nearby and we were both very comfortable during our stay and her post-op appointment the next day.
We have stayed here every year for the last five years. It just keeps getting better and better. Close to fun shops, restaurants and is within walking distance of most downtown Spokane events. Clean! Comfy beds! Fantastic breakfast which has been hard to find at other hotels over the last two years. The staff is wonderful. So genuinely friendly! I'd highly recommend this hotel!
Night shift crew did amazing job! Front desk agents welcomed us with very positive and friendly attitude. The rooms were cleaned on the very high standard . Spotless and clean everything you look at or touch. The person working at the breakfast area is very nice , well mannered and professional. Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant experience! Safe and comfortable place to stay. I would highly recommend to choose this hotel to everyone no matter what reason brings you to Spokane. The location is very convenient for any purpose. Shopping, park and the airport are very close . Great job on keeping place clean and well maintained!
This Best Western was super nice. Room was very clean and the linens were superb, Nice white linens and the I checked....the mattress was enclosed in a zippered cover (no bed bugs EGADS). The were as nice as can be, had all the answers and very pleasant people. Food was a full breakfast, enough choices for even the pickiest and the staff were very helpful. There was a family of 7 there and the staff helped then get all the kids settled in and played waitress to help them get fed. We had a very pleasant stay. OH yes, our room had NO pets in that room EVER. They kept their word on that point.
This hotel consistently has the most friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are clean. It's one of my favorite hotels to stay at. I love that it's downtown and within walking distance to riverfront park and downtown restaurants.
Consistent excellence thru out my 8 years of occasional location stays... great room, great location, incredible staff and Manager, has the feel of coming home... I've stayed at much more expensive, but never better...
Very outdated, not terribly clean. Stains on furniture. Very thin walls. There is also roof repairs going on, which begin at 8 am. About five miles from I-90. Lots of noise in the halls, and from adjacent rooms dipped to lack of sound proofing. Lighting is dingy. Rates way too high for this type of facility. I would not stay again.
Have never experienced such great service from a hotel as I have this one, I will definitely use this hotel for every travel day in the future. The staff was the best I've ever experienced and it's because of them that I will continue to return
It was reasonable and wonderful - breakfast in spite of COVID - next best place to home. They went out of their way to help us find a couple of items that were misplaced. They sent one to our home in MT and it arrived immediately. The room was immaculate; fridge and microwave convenience! Coffee/tea maker and extra pillows - wow -- please when you are looking and are in need -- rest assured this is the finest and most friendly, caring hotel you could find. Don't forget -- Best Western!!!!!
Our close friends (6), who live in California, were going on a Snake & Columbia River cruise. Many of the cruisers had to meet & stay 1 night (COVID-19 rapid testing) at The Historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane. My hubby & I wanted to see them before they started their cruise; so we did a relaxing road trip from Boise, ID. We stayed 1 night at the BWP in Clarkston, WA, which is the cruise line's port; it's a 2 hour drive to Spokane. BWP City Center hotel is an older hotel. The hotel has a parking garage (with fee), which we chose to use. It has a great location with easy access to I-90; is a short drive to Spokane airport and really close to our friends' hotel. Our room had 2 queen beds; our bed was very comfy. Our room was very clean, everything was in working order; we felt safe. We had a wonderful and well needed visit with our friends and enjoyed our stay at BWP City Center Spokane.
We stay here every year and we are consistently happy with the experience. It's conveniently located to activities and highways - our relatives are not located in downtown Spokane. The hotel is always clean. The employees have always been helpful and friendly. Parking can be challenging when they are busy, but we've always made it work.
Great service by all the staff. Fresh hot breakfast every morning along with a really great host. Clean modern room, all the electric/electronic items which includes A/C were in good working order. Everyone was pleasent and very helpfull. Our dog Daisy May was well taken care of too!
Friendly staff, clean rooms, I did like that we were able to pay for guaranteed parking spot in garage. The only thing that was a bummer was my husband had a hurt ankle. We were on the 2nd floor close to the elevator though. This property was in walking distance of restaurants as well. Thanks again for your service.
Everything about our stay was top-notch. The facility is well maintained and very clean, and we loved the location - easy walk to Riverfront Park, and shops and restaurants. Highlight though, was the hot breakfast buffet. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fried potatoes, waffles, and all the regular items. Kandee is the attendant there and she really cares!
After a discrepancy in original quoted price and actual charge at check in, we enjoyed everything about our stay. Great staff at front desk and during complimentary breakfast. Reliable internet and convenient restaurants (Chili's right across the street)
We travel for work a lot and the first thing we do when we enter the room is pull the covers back and shine a light on the bottom sheet and pillows.. If we see hair and body debris. We don't sleep on it. We go to the front desk to get a fresh set of sheets and change them on our own. So, at this place we did just that.. Things were great then, until noise upstairs was so bad we couldn't go to sleep. So bad we had to call the front desk. He ended up putting us in another room, we took the bedding with us in fear the beds would be the same and it was dirty sheets again. This is the reason I'm writing this... If you stay here PLEASE check the bedding for cleanness.
We stayed here 2 nights. I chose this hotel due to the proximity of the hospital where I had an appoinment. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Staff was friendly and gave us complimentary covered parking as the outside lot was being repaved. Didn't experience the breakfast as we had to leave for my appointment before it opened. This will also be a convienent location (walkable) if you are attending an event at the Spokane Convention Center. There's a good assortment of restaurants within walkable distance, too. I'd definitely stay here again.
On our way from Seattle to Glacier National Park Montana, we found this hotel on Tripadvisor to stay for one night on our way to Montana. The staff was extremely helpful. They gave us a map, and showed us all the wonderful places to walk to in Downtown Spokane. Nice clean room, great full breakfast. The hotel is in a great location. I look forward to staying here again.
The area is beautiful and the hotel offers many local attraction brochures and a cozy stay with friendly staff, beautiful decor and a hot breakfast. The price was a bit higher than I would've preferred and there was a little something questionable on a surface in the bathroom when I arrived so I put 3 on cleanliness
Hubby & I had a great time in king executive suite with whirlpool tub. Room was clean & quiet even with hotel being full of volleyball players:) Breakfast was hot & hotel accommodated a late checkout for us when our car was being serviced & wasn't ready at checkout time.
What a crew! Every staff member we met at City Center Best Western in Spokane, WA was like a good friend. From the moment we entered the door Front Desk Personnel Nick and Yuri made sure we were well taken care of, helped us find restaurants and even take out choices. Breakfast server gave service like there was no one else she'd rather help. Housekkeeping staff asked what they could do to make us more comfortable. We were there for medical appointments and couldn't have asked for better service as we were in and out for 3 days. All the while they were also catering to volley ball teams who were engaging in a tournament across the boulevard. Yaaaay Team
I stayed at the Best Western in downtown Spokane for a week while on business. I was very pleased. The hotel was incredibly clean, the staff were always happy and accommodating. My room was very clean and had a microwave and refrigerator. The Spokane Downtown area was a lot of fun. Many restaurants and shopping opportunities. The park across the street was amazing with an incredible river running through it. It' also close to Gonzaga University where I was working. I would highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel will charge a $150 smoking fee to customers who do not smoke in the room. They will send you a bill a week after you checked out claiming that they "smelled smoke" after you checked out. They do not need evidence such as: Butts, Ashes, Burns,...etc. They have no empirical evidence and no scientific way to measure their claims and they do not reverse charges when they are making a huge mistake. I have heard tis from many travelers and it also happened to ME, so watch out. They are losing revenue due to COVID and the loss of conventions across the street at the center, so they came up with this smoking fee scam to make up for that. NO FACTS = THE BIG LIE! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Responsive staff, excellent location, comfortable and clean rooms, great prices. What more can you ask for? We could walk to everything (Riverfront Park, downtown) and coming home to a clean and comfortable room in the middle of the Deep Freeze was nice. This is a little gem in the heart of Spokane.
This hotel is very convenient to many Spokane attractions like the Convention Center, Riverfront Park, and River Park Square. The rooms are acceptable, functional and clean. I would have liked a nice chair or couch in the room. They had a small table and two wood chairs. It had a microwave, fridge, A/C, and nice TV. But it would be nice to have a safe in the room.
I've stayed here every time I've had to overnight in Spokane for the past few years. The staff is genuinely friendly, helpful, and most efficient. The rooms are impeccable and as for the breakfast ... it's the best of any hotel I've stayed at during these Covid-times. I see no reason why I would consider staying anywhere else in Spokane.
You will feel right at home in this clean and comfy hotel. Location is perfect, just across from the river trail and convention center. It will fit your budget but you'll be next to the fancier hotels, lounges and restaurants.
A wonderful stay. Central downtown location with free parking, lots of places to eat within walking distance. Very clean and Covid protocols in place. Friendly staff. Room was so quiet and comfortable. Best night's sleep I have had on the road in ages.
This hotel is conveniently located off Interstate 90 at exit 181 in Spokane. As frequent business traveler I've stayed here often. There rooms are immaculate, cleaned constantly with the upmost concerns for there guests. Respectfully, Nora L.
This was a wonderful 2 week stay, perfect location and very nice room. Staff were so helpful and respectful of pandemic rules. We would be happy to stay there again and will probably do so on our next family visit.
Everything was always clean, all the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was great we had a king with a balcony, stairs next to the elevator if you choose, in garage parking is available on the quick check in option, the location is middle downtown easy access, we stayed for 5 nights, never had any issues.
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is! Check in was easy with Yuri, who was extremely helpful and such a pleasure to talk with. The first thing we noticed was how exceptionally clean everything was. And it's not just due to the covid situation as you can tell by all the little details that this is how it always is. Even though it was on a main street, the noise was very minimal. The a/c was quiet along with the mini fridge, which we couldn't hear at all. The room itself was a nice size along with the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, not too soft, not too hard, same with the pillows. The shower had the curved rod to give you more space and the shower head was wonderful!!! They also had built in body wash, shampoo and conditioner, all in a fresh citrus scent. Location is great as you can walk to several different restaurants along with the a stroll along the river. The secured garage is worth the extra $10 for the night. It is very well lit and almost completely empty. There were plenty of other hotels around but this was definitely the right choice. Truly an underrated little gem.
I stay here often and always have a great experience. Rooms are clean & staff is friendly and helpful. This is my favorite Bestwestern in the Spokane area. If I had to pick 1 thing to change it would be the parking. Sometimes it's hard getting in and out if you have a bigger car.
My children and I stayed here one night before moving on. Staff is professional and helpful, hotel is easy to find, breakfast had great choices (even with Covid-19 restrictions), and the room was super clean and as described. Our room faced the grocery/co-op building to the south, so we did hear the dumpster being used early in the morning - we heard a bit of traffic but nothing annoying. We would definitely stay here again!
Check in went smooth, breakfast was great, loved the indoor parking garage, was nice they had security rooming the property, staff was on top of trying to make sure everything went well, like the fact that it's a 12pm checkout time
This hotel is by far my favorite hotel in Spokane, and that is mostly due to the people who run the hotel, whom I consider friends at this point. After trying many other hotels in town, I always choose this hotel when I am able. The property location is very convenient for walking to most of downtown, but I rarely want to go too far since some of my favorite restaurants and hangouts are within a couple of blocks.
This hotel is surrounded by bars. The noise was terrible, and we had to be switched to the other side of the hotel in order to get any rest . Also, there are so many aggressive homeless people around. I did not enjoy my stay. I did not feel safe in the area. Thank goodness they were giving free parking in the garage because I would not have been surprised to find my car broken into had it been left in the parking lot.
This Best Western was very nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful, and our room was very comfortable. Our favorite feature was the option of garage parking, as we were moving across the country and it is always a worry when your car is packed full to the brim with your belongings!
Third time I've stayed here. Just really convenient to Gonzaga and downtown. Covid put a damper on what you get but they made and we made the most of it. I will always try to stay here. Thanks for the stay.
Best Western Plus City Center is fantastic! Very clean, friendly staff and front desk. Maintenance man is always ready if problem arises. We have stayed here for over 20 years and it is the best. It is centrally located and close to downtown shopping, the Apple store, concert venues and restaurants are close by. Riverfront Park is near.
We had a comfortable stay at this well located property within walking distance of downtown Spokane and Riverfront Park. Friendly staff and clean room made for good stay. We did the outdoor parking as there was plenty of room in the parking lot and didn't wish to pay the extra $10. Breakfast was the usual fare nothing extra special but all you need to start the day.
This location and helpful staff made business travel so much more enjoyable. Thank you Nick for all the assistance. The location is perfect for the convention center. Indoor parking is great but outside in okay as well. property is secure and there were no issues.
We stayed one night after checking the locations of other recommended hotels on various websites. This hotel was the perfect choice. We were returning from a long ski trip with lots of gear and luggage in our car that we didn't want to unload for one night. This hotel was in the best location and it was the only one with safe, garage parking (we choose this for $10, but they also had limited free parking at street level). The price of the room was good, they had a generous checkout—noon!—so we spent the morning walking along the river and in the park, only 2 blocks away, and also through downtown. Lots of restaurants nearby. Their breakfast is great—a rotating menu each day!
This facility is clean, well kept and the staff makes it a special place for both me and my wife to stay when on business or pleasure in the Spokane area. I've been going here since it was built and will continue, because of the people who work to make it feel like home......
I will definitely return for the beautiful room, great location and amazing staff. Prime location to take in all of the sights and activities in beautiful Spokane, WA. Fantastic property with an outstanding staff.
Great location. Great value. Rooms clean and white linens (a must). Breakfast so nice and saves time and money. Walk to everything downtown including shows at convention center. Everyone knows your name. Feels like staying with family (but better!)
As with BWs at this level, all the expectations are met. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, hot coffee 24/7. Nice room. Getting into the parking lot is a little bit of a feat being how they are located but you get used to it. The convention center is right across the street and eateries that you can walk to.
My recent stay at this location was amazing! The location was perfect and close to so much. Recent renovations were excellent (love the comfortable chair in the room!), decor was stylish and modern. I loved the thoughtful details - the citrus bath products and lotion, the Keurig machine and coffee in the room, coffee bar downstairs, cookies every evening, lobby was comfrotable, etc. And the staff was just awesome, everyone from the front desk to housekeeping and kitchen was so warm and friendly. I could not have been happier with my stay!
Have stayed at this property twice in past month. Great location for walking & seeing Spokane. Great staff. Will return to this property again. We were in Spokane to see the excellent Norman Rockwell Exhibit at MAC. Well worth the trip to Spokane!
My wife and I had not stayed there for many years. They did a remodel 5 years ago and Wow what a difference. From the front desk, to the carpets, to the new furnishings, amazing! The service was still the same great!
I have stayed at this hotel before. It is in a good location if you want to see the downtown area of Spokane. A plus is free parking. Good breakfast and cookies in evening which we missed. Comfortable beds.
We had to stay close to hospital for a necessary procedure. Very comfortable, secured parking and close to everything. Very reasonable and good military rates. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness and friendliness. And a full breakfast to boot.
one can't find a nicer hotel and staff. every aspect of comfort is covered. hotel management is superb. this is a five star hotel in every respect. its location across from the convention center and opera house can/t be beat. its soft, warm and cozy with a fireplace going in the winter. whereas other higher priced hotels are hard and cold in furniture and appearance.
Has a secure parking garage for 10$ extra. Well worth it in downtown Spokane. At this time the lobby was being remodeled. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. It had various tv channels including pay for views.
Excellent location within walking distance to downtown parks and amenities. Nice staff and excellent breakfast. Garage door width might spook those in a large truck, but there appeared to be adequate free outdoor parking - as hotels a couple blocks away charge for this, it is still a real amenity. Some noise at times from loud vehicles going up Browne St, but I suspect many people wouldn't notice. BW Rewards are also handy, which is why I chose this, not disappointed, would stay again.
This hotel is in a great location especially if you are a theatre-goer. Close to downtown area and Riverfront Park as well. Easy to get around on foot. Service was friendly and efficient and the breakfast hot and plentiful. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
Easy to drive past this hotel with a small footprint, but you'll be pleased with the extremely helpful, friendly, and caring staff. The rooms have been updated in recent years, free breakfast with many different options, and convention center and downtown location made it easy to navigate the city and work locations.
beautiful motel, clean rooms, Breakfast area clean. Only one con, there is only one way into the hotel from one street. staff went out of their way to help with information or what ever the need may be.
I was in Spokane to be with my wife, who was in the Sacred Heart Hospital in the cardiac unit. Naturally, I was incredibly concerned and overly distracted. The staff at the front desk and breakfast bar staff were the best I've ever encountered at a hotel. They went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible considering the reason I was in Spokane. You can have the best looking hotel in the world but without a great staff it's nothing. Best Western, City Center Spokane is the BEST.
The only positive employee we met was the lady who prepared the breakfast. She was friendly and very welcoming to all, especially to visitors who spoke little English. She was the only saving grace to an otherwise horrible stay
Really nice inside and the room was large and clean. Conveniently located so walking to restaurants and bars, no problem. Entry into the parking lot can be confusing at first. The “boutique scent” was way too strong so had to pass on the complimentary breakfast. It did look good though.Would recommend
Property is located directly across the street from convention center which was great for us as we were attending Lions Clubs forum there. They offered a nice breakfast selection and hotel is very clean. The staff were all great from the housekeeping folks to the front desk.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very close to waterfront park and within walking distance of restaurants, entertainment, shopping. The property is a bit dated and drab, so I felt like it was a bit pricey for what we got, but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
We have stayed at Best Western Plus City Center many times during or 16 year residence in Washington State. It hjas always been a great pleasure and have always been welcomed and treated well. We have now retured home to the UK but have returned for Pig Out in The Park and will be back. Great hotel, accomodation, price and most important the people.
Our stay was very enjoyable and was enhanced by the friendly staff. They helped us with directions to local attractions and made suggestions. Greatly appreciated the exceptional customer service. We will definitely stay there again when we return to the area.
This hotel is very easy to find, coming in from the Great White North. Heading south on the 395 you enter Spokane city and come right in beside the hotel. It's a 5 minute walk to the theatre and convention center. Restaurants and bars close by. The staff are amazing!! The breakfast is great with a large variety to choose from and a bit different each day. The Wifi is great and they have 2 computers with a printer to use. Large quiet room, comfy bed. A nice size exercise room. Complimentary coffee in the lobby all day long. We had a perfect stay!!
This hotel is a great place near the heart of the convention center and Inland Performing Arts Center. Just a short walk from the hotel brings you past the convention center and right into River Park. The Breakfast is pretty standard for Best Western locations. Hot items included eggs, sausage, ham and potatoes. There were some pastries and the waffle maker was working without sticking which is always nice. There were apples, bananas and fixings/toppings for oatmeal. There was also biscuits and gravy and a selection of cold cereal. All in all something for everyone. The room was clean and well appointed. The street side can be a bit noisy, however it didn't keep me from sleeping all night.
The location and accessibility from the Spokane Airport is great. This property is right across from the convention center. Walking distance to everything. Lots of restaurants all around. We were checked in by Tashena and she was extremely nice, efficient and personable. Room was spacious and comfortable. If you check in here and you see a parking spot, take it immediately. Parking is very limited. They have indoor parking also for $10 a day. It is also limited. Our main complaint would be the bathroom. The toilet in this bathroom was like 10 inches from the ground. An elderly individual would have trouble getting down. It was like a child size toilet. I personally really disliked it as I have bad knees. We would use the bathroom by their gym before getting on the elevator just to not have to use ours. Breakfast was plentiful. Front desk personnel very friendly.
BW City Center is an ideal place to stay. Ther location is great for downtown Spoakne, WA, and to enjoy the Best of Broadway presentations. The staff is freindly and always willing to answer any questions you might have about the hotel or surrounding area. I have already booked BW City Center for next season.
The hotel is right across the Convention Center. This influencey the prices. We should habe checked the convention center's schedule. Rooms are well sized and clean. The breakfast is okay but doesn't oder the variety that I am Usedom from other BW Plus.
Was lucky enough to get a room at this very convenient downtown location. Staff are great. Indoor parking keeps everything safe and cool in this 90+ degree weather. Great recommendations from staff on dinner and breakfast choices. Room was clean. Will definitely use this hotel again.
Our room was great, nice and clean, breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were super friendly - especially the lady in the mornings that manned the breakfast area. The only things that were problematic was that I gave my Visa card at check in to put the charges on and I got home today to discover they charged my Mastercard that I had initially booked the room with. When I checked in and gave the fella my Visa card, I had asked that the Visa card be used for the charges. The other issue is that when booking there should be sufficient parking for the number of rooms booked. When arriving there were no parking spaces outdoors forcing us to park underground which they charge $10 a night for. Although we got a "deal" and paid two nights of parking for four nights stay, this still doesn't seem right. If a guest books a night at the hotel and expects to have a parking spot, they shouldn't be forced to have to pay in my view.
nice room great staff only complaint would be the parking availability which wasn't that big a deal anyway, otherwise great hotel, i would and probably will stay here again for any trips to Spokane.having restaurants within walking distance was also a plus.
Safe place for your car in the underground garage, friendly staff, wonderful rooms, wonderful service. Dog friendly and very comfortable room with great amenities and TV. Fresh cookies in lounge, great coffee in the room.
This hotel is right across the street from the Conven tion Center, which was very convenient for the National Roller Skating Championships being held there. The rooms are above the level of the regular Best Westerns. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast is different every day, and they extended the hours because of the influx of the skaters. The hotel is within a short walk to the Riverfront park and many restaurants. There is an organic store on the street behind the hotel that also serves very inexpensive dinners. Onsite parking is free, and onsite, indoor parking is $10 extra per night. Onsite guest laundry and business office available also. I will definitely stay there again!
Although the hotel is not impressive from the outside, step inside and you are in for a pleasant experience. Staff is very friendly and professional. They are very willing to help and meet your needs and requests.
My wife and I decided to stay here on a trip to Spokane and this was a great hotel. We got friendly service from everyone we encountered. We got a great room at a fair price. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again
We enjoyed staying here because the location is just great. Walking distance to the mall and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The free parking is a huge amenity. Free breakfast in a pleasant breakfast room Unfortunately the front door is directly adjacent and there was a guest who smoked literally right by the door so it was drawn into the breakfast room. Suggest asking staff to move the bench further away?
Recently had a three day stay in Spokane. We chose this hotel based on reviews of hotel quality and walking sites close to hotel. The hotel is very clean and offers breakfast. Rooms were good and breakfast was your usual eggs, sausage and waffles. So the hotel could be rated a 4 for what services they provided. The lower rating of a 3 is due to location. The hotel is across from the convention center and on a corner so limited free parking outside the hotel. The traffic noise is high at night so bring ear plugs. The Riverwalk is overrated as is the area shops. We did walk to the Historic Davenport which was interesting. There is a lot of homeless around the area and in the park so caution is advised. We did all of our walking during the day and honestly was a bit uncomfortable several times throughout the area. In the evening we drove to a restaurant about a quarter of a mile away and we noticed an increased number of homeless possibly waiting to get into a shelter in the area. No fault of the hotel as we were happy with the facility but caution is advised if you are choosing this location for the Riverwalk.
For business and summer travelers I highly recommend this hotel. Its located right off Interstate 90 Exit 281. The Spokane Convention Center is right across the street. A variety of dining facilities are within a short walking distance.
This is a great hotel for the rate. Pillows were small and to overstuffed and not comfortable for me. Location is in center of city near shops, bars, restaurants, park, and the river. Room was quiet with regular amenities expected.
Had issue with hotel over my parking I expected to have my parking spot when arrived but didn't go as expected all spots were filled and did not get advised over this situation.first come first serve. So I paid across the street over $100 dollars for parking for 2 days of parking!!
We stay few days at this Best Western Plus and had a pleasant stayed. The rooms were big and pretty new. The staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good enough and parking was plentiful. The location is the best part because it is walking distance to all the attraction as well as food market and restaurant. All in all, very good.
This hotel was a part of many stops on our way from Kodiak, AK to Astoria, OR. It was such a welcomed surprise too! The rooms are very spacious and very nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the room even had a nice balcony. The staff was so kind and welcoming after a long journey and the morning breakfast was delicious and had a great selection. The location for the price was even better, it is literally right around the corner from great restaurants, shops and breweries! The best part is they are dog friendly which makes our travels so much easier. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property to anyone traveling to Spokane!
I cannot say enough about how wonderful Meredith and her staff are at the Best Western! Meredith has bent over backwards to accommodate some special requests visit after visit! The rooms are so comfortable, the lobby is welcoming, the breakfast is great, and the proximity to all that downtown Spokane has to offer is amazing. Did I mention how wonderful the staff is?
I want to give a shout out to this property's Front Desk Manager, Dakoda, and front desk staffers Tanya, Nick and Joe. I was presented with an interesting dilemma where I had a 9 hour layover in downtown Spokane from a bus ride there, till 1:25AM when I could board the Amtrak train. Not feeling comfortable spending all that time at the bus/train depot, I found this Best Western via my phone map and called them. I told them I'm a Rewards member and needed a place to stash my large suitcase until late in the evening when I would return to the depot. Dakoda took my call and immediately said, Yes, we'll take care of it for you. This allowed me to explore downtown Spokane for several hours, and discover a delightfully vibrant downtown. I returned to the Best Western and read in the lobby for a few hours before Ubering to the depot to catch my train. I cannot say enough about how welcoming and informative front desk staff Tanya and Nick were, and later, Joe. This certainly makes me want to return to their facility for a stay and just return to Spokane, in general. Thank you so much, Dakoda, Tanya, Nick and Joe at the Best Western Plus City Center in Spokane WA !!!
The hotel was close to the Opera House and within walking distance to resturants. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating with any request. A little noise with the door open to the balcony but quite when shut. Breakfast had variety and staff very helpful.
Good location next to convention center; nearby mini grocery store and restaurants. Staff very friendly; bed was comfortable. The only unpleasant experience was the dumpster truck noise in the early morning (dumpsters were located in the back of the hotel). Overall the hotel was a nice place to stay and would stay there again.
Excellent place to stay. Located right in the middle of the action, right next to the Veterans Memorial Arena and within walking distance of many shops and dinning. A nice place to stay, but limited parking.
We decided to stay overnight in Spokane at the last minute. I always stay at Best Western so I can get my points. I feel that Best Western properties are quite comfortable and well run; I worked in hospitality for years. The hotel was in a good downtown location. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was clean. They have assigned indoor (secure) parking which was a nice touch for sure. The ONLY problem we had was that it was very noisy with the street noise. It did calm down after a while and we had a good night's sleep. It is a city hotel and with a city hotel comes the noise factor.
This hotel is located across the street from the Spokane Convention Center. It is also located around a large number of restaurants and late night establishment. The entrance is a little deceptive as some Best Western entrances are and looks like a back entrance. I stayed in a room with a balcony. While the balcony looks over the convention center and a busy roadway, it did provide a cool breeze and there were enough birds tweeting to make it enjoyable. Also with hotel being 4 floors no views of the river. Room was nice and large with a microwave and fridge. TV had nice Direct TV remote versus the generic cheap ones hotel rooms generally have. Front desk crew was friendly. Also breakfast had a good amount of selection and is one of the more better selections I have seen. Only real downside is that exercise room is in a tiny room and no pool. The front desk said that most hotels downtown don't have a pool because of the limited room but that doesn't seem accurate.
Good location close to town. Room was large and well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Great hot water. A good breakfast selection. Cookies provided of an evening. The traffic noise is quite bad however and I needed ear plugs to be able to sleep - not sure if that was due to it being a Saturday night or not. Easy access on and off the freeway. As another reviewer pointed out, the toilet is exceptionally low.
Spent one night here with the following observations. Location is ideal for downtown dining options. The room was fine and the Front Desk staff very friendly and helpful. For Seniors the toilet might be awkward as it set up for children and the breakfast was slightly below average.
The room was very well set up for a wheelchair user. Barrier free shower (not huge but perfect for me), very wide spaces to maneuver. Restaurants and a market are near. Walking distance to the performing arts centre. Parking included. Great fresh cookies in lobby. Fun stay!
Great location, friendly staff, would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a easy access to downtown Spokane. Easy to get to from freeway. T^he only thing is that the street traffic noise is a little loud.
After an all day drive and arrival at 10 pm I was tired and stressed out. What a great reception I got. Cannot say enough nice things about the welcome I received from the front desk woman Tania L.! She was so accommodating and helpful that after I had got settled in my room I went back down to the front desk again to thank her and make sure I got her name right! The room was clean and as usual "a nice surprise is no surprise!" You can hear some loud bikes going by but not more than other places. Thank you Tania and BW.
Newer hotel right in downtown Spokane, clean and comfortable. Easy walk or short drive to everything. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Friendly desk staff helped us extend our stay at a great rate. Free breakfast is hot, fresh and has something for everyone. Free parking, too.
Awesome customer service. Front desk was so helpful. Kitchen staff went above and beyond. So friendly to our group. We traveled with our daughter's volleyball team and had all Our team and parents staying. They were so accommodating and very helpful. Great great service!!
It felt like old home week to be back in Spokane and staying at the Downtown Best Western. I was greeted by friendly front desk staff and the check-in was easy. The staff that helped me thanked me for being a Platinum Member and it was obvious they cared about me a a person and patron. When I travel Best Western is my home away from home.
The hotel, staff, amenities are great. Price is alittle steeper than expected. If you have a full size truck, call ahead of time for parking arrangements. The staff will do their best to help. Gettong in and out can be alittle difficult depending what direction you are coming from.
This hotel is located off Interstate 90 Exit 281, right across from the Spokane Convention Center. The staff is exemplary and the breakfast buffet offers a large variety of menu choices. The extra bonus during the winter months for me was there indoor heated parking garage.
This hotel was beautiful, clean, friendly and quiet. The front desk staff was excellent and very friendly. The rooms are very clean, nice and comfortable! I was offered garage parking and that was great as I felt it was safer in the garage. I did not eat the full breakfast, just a quick bite of toast and sausage and it was good! Thank You for a great stay!
Very accommodating to a huge group of adults and students. Gracious upbeat and helpful. Let the parents and booster decorate up the hall and doors to celebrate the accomplishment of the team and coaches. If anybody had a request it was gotten to in a speedy fashion.
Overall, a nice hotel in a nice location and close to downtown, conference centre and other attractions. Front end staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Full breakfast is very good. Just a little overpriced especially when paying in Canadian dollars.
My husband was supposed to fly out on a business trip, but was experiencing some health issues. After a visit with Urgent Care, he needed more tests done --- and Murphy's Law result was that one on a Monday, the other on Friday. And guess what? We stumbled upon the Inlander's Restaurant Week, and scored many great visits to super restaurants within walking distance, or a short drive. We utilized the laundromat inside the Best Western Plus City Center, and our room was cleaned daily with friendly, efficient housekeeping staff. The breakfasts were superb with all the choices, and we were helped by several outstanding members of the staff handling reservations, the garage, etc. Especially helpful were Meredith Rainville, Sarah Petrino and Tonya at the front desk. Our visit was very enjoyable and we were extremely comfortable during our forced visit to Spokane!
Very clean and friendly. Best breakfast in town... fresh hot and full all morning. We were in town for a funeral and it was great meeting with our family and visiting. Would truly recommend this hotel to anyone...
1st class, great people, clean facility, great management, and yes I will stay there again. This is a perfectly placed motel and the people that work there are the key to making it the place I want to stay for anything I've got going in Spokane.....
Nice downtown location. Easy walking nearby. Breakfast was fresh. The staff at the front desk were helpful. Offered tips on best routes to take. Provided a handy map to use. Would stay again if in the area.
Booked here for the day/night before heading out on a 7am flight. The staff was incredibly helpful - suggesting restaurants and things to do while in town. I got a good rate on the room and was checked in with no issues. The rooms are basic, as you would expect, but clean and comfortable! The hotel is centrally located to the riverside park which was nice. If we're in Spokane again, we'd stay here. Big shout out to the staff!!
This hotel was a perfect location for us, as we were going to a show at the INB performing arts centre. We then were able to walk to any venue downtown, and come back to our nice quiet hotel for sleeping. I really appreciated that it is away from the bars of the downtown core. The actual entrance to the parking lot is tricky if you are approaching from the North: best bet is to go around the block. That lowered my rating slightly, but once you are in you can park it and leave it!
We stayed at the Best Western Plus because of the location to the theatre (a block away). Whomever checked us in had excellent customer service and helped find a good place for dinner with a 6yr old. I placed my wallet in a drawer before we went to the musical and drove all the way to Montana and didn't realize it unless Best Western called us! They quickly put it in the mail and everything was in there- blank check, credit cards etc. I am so thankful and appreciative of the housekeeper who turned it in and for the office staff to call and mail it to me!! Thank you!!
We stayed here because of the location near STCU Performing Arts Center. The room/bed was nice, but the heater was noisy and we had to turn it off all night to get sleep. Traffic was also a bit noisy and we were on the 'quiet side.' The internet was also down for a time. Breakfast was average.
Great staff and nice location to downtown Spokane. I would recommend to anyone. The staff is wonderful and always willing to help. They upgrade your room when they can or if they do not have a standard room ready.
I want to take a minute to compliment Sarah at the front desk. She was very accommodating and professional. She went out of her way to help us with a future stay, a recommendation on a local restaurant, and making us feel right at home. Our room was clean, fresh, and every thing in order. We had a burned out light bulb, and with in minutes, replaced with out a fuss. I would highly recommend BW Plus city center, we will defiantly stay here again, and in fact have reservations in May.
The hotel is in the downtown area within walking distance to many great restaurants. The staff was friendly and the room was clean, large, and comfortable. I had requests and they were honored. The breakfast was wonderful.
I was pleasantly surprised with how well my stay went at the Best Western. The employees at check-in and check-out provided efficient service with a pleasant attitude. The color decor on the inside of the hotel is great with soft music being played in the hallways, which sets a nice tone. The room was your standard type of room, and the cleanliness was exceptional. The breakfast area was very inviting to have breakfast, and the hotel offered above average variety of offerings. I would highly recommend this hotel based on my experience to others..
This Best Western is one of the best we have ever visited. The staff was exceptional and continuously ask if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. It was very quiet at night even though it was New Years weekend.
We stay here yearly! Best location to all events in downtown Spokane. Walking distance to most events. Close to shopping and great restaurants. Clean rooms, comfy beds and good breakfast! Wouldnt stay anywhere else.
Enjoyed my room, staff was friendly and helpful,. The breakfast better was much than most, and it allows pets! The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable bed. Don't like that they have a charge to park.
The staff was super accommodating when i needed to change my check in date last minute, the rim was clean and the pillows were so comfortable. I really enjoyed the breakfast options and the coffee was great. I really liked the decor of the lobby and the room. I will definitely go back again, well with it.
The check-in and check-out procedures are easy and fast. The staff is very friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There's even a coffee maker a Keurig coffee maker in each room! The food is good too. There's a wide variety of foods at the breakfast buffet, and even fresh cookies at night!
Well positioned hotel, welcoming lobby where tea/coffee is available all day. The receptionist was impeccable; warm, welcoming, genuine and did all she could to make our stay memorable. The room we eventually had was a King Suite, which, as the name suggests, was vast, comfortable, with a jacuzzi, and very quiet. Breakfast was in a bright lobby area, with attentive, jolly staff Downsides? The hotel is on a very busy road junction and sleep is disturbed. A minor point,( if anyone from the hotel does read this)....not sure three cleaners should jam into the lift with their stuff, when you are in there with your own luggage. Not a good impression them chomping gum, either. A good hotel, and I would stay there again
Fast, friendly service with a smile! I greatly appreciate it! I would recommend this hotel to other family members and friends. Great location. Lot's of close entertainment available! Overall stay, excellent! Thank you!K SPAETH Diamond Member# 6006630575115709
Visited this hotel Canadian September long weekend to do some shopping around the city. The staff were great very friendly and even gave us a free parking pass to park underground. Will definitely be back!
I have stayed here and reviewed this place before.Actually have stayed every time I visit the city. I hope the great reviews do not drive the prices up.. This time I brought my roomate from Texas for vacation. She raved and raved about this hotel the staff the breakfast the location. The area event posted up help us pick a play Into The Woods played at a nearbuy highschool the play was awsome front desk help keep it a suprise and print out tickets. Gave us local winery coupons and suggestions.. The only thing this hotel is missing is pool and jacuzzi. Business, layover or downtown fun this is the place. They supply fridge and micro if you ask.
The Best Western is a decent place to stay. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk was very friendly. The hotel itself is clean, but a little old. The hotel is located within walking distance of several places to eat and bars. I recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper place to stay in Spokane.
Best Western Downtown Spokane has friendly staff, great location with a great value. The room was awesome and the best part was the breakfast that they have every morning. Hot food...eggs, waffles and sausage or bacon.
This is a very adequate short stay facility. It is compact and does not have a restaurant or one connected with it. Room seating could be upgraded and more comfortable. This would not be a facility we would use for an extended stay. Traffic noise at night was a little distracting.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. I was very pleased with the room and common areas and staff.Check in and check out was quick and easy, breakfast was great and the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.
They have updated the rooms. This room was centrally located around night life. The breakfast was hot and actually good for everyone. There was a couple bars with live music just around the corner. I would stay here again!
First visit at this hotel. Picked it because it was a BW and at a great location. We were very impressed with our king balcony room. It was nice relaxing out on the balcony. The breakfast was very good. Location was great for touring the downtown area with lots of restaurants close by to choose from. Superb staff!
We ended up spending more than the DoubleTree across the street. The room was $199 plus parking and fees, it was $250. We feel totally ripped off. The bed was uncomfortable, the elevator was broken for part of the stay, and it's a motel style place! Definitely not worth what we paid. We came here to save money!
Poor quality for a BW PLUS. Borderline on cleanliness, but staff was very kind and professional. Parking can be a problem. Close to convention center. We were here for a medical procedure at Sacred Heart, and there are better options-now we know.
We spent one night at the hotel and arrived fairly late so didn't take advantage of everything the hotel had to offer. It did look like they had a decent exercise room though. The room was clean. The breakfast was decent. The only tricky thing is the parking situation is not great unless you pay extra for the underground parking. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and the location is great. I would stay there again.
A little hard to get to if you're not familiar with the area (I wasn't) the only entrance (that I saw) is off a one way street so if you miss it.... The facility is a bit older and some of that shows. All in all nothing great, but certainly not a disaster just nothing memorable.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, very clean, great breakfast. Secure underground parking. Met all our expectations and more. Would definitely return here on our next trip. Highly recommended.
This is not the first time that we have stayed at this facility. The location is excellent, (center of town), It is relatively easy to find, and is always clean, well maintained, and always has a very friendly and professional staff.
Room was great, very clean and comfy. Breakfast was hot and tasty. So close to everything. Walking distance from a great bar and grill. Best street tacos ever.. will be back for sure, and very soon. Thanks BW
We stay at Best Western hotels a lot and this one was very nice. We were able to walk to a restaurant. Would highly recommend this hotel. All amenities were very good. We will return there if Spokane is on any future trips.
Great location easy to find and parking wasn't a problem. Checking was efficient and Sarah was very friendly. The room was clean and cool although the Aircon was rather noisy. Bed was comfortable, breakfast spread was tasty. Although we didn't eat any cookies but for those who like them - they are available in the evenings!
My wife and I always enjoy staying at the downtown Spokane facility!! Conveinent access to stores, entertainment and bars,,, a great facility with friendly and courteous staff,, a must stay!! Don't pass this one up!!
Check in was the fastest I have ever experienced. The desk clerk had the most outstanding attitude. Your are blessed to have her on your team. Slept like a rock. Internet was speedy and I got some work done. Thank you Best Western Plus
The hotel has an excellent location, especially if you want to take advantage of the riverfront. While not obvious, just across the street on the other side of the Convention Center is the Spokane River that has paths and improvements along both banks.
We stayed here on our last night of a very long road trip and at first the location seemed kind of intimidating. It's in the middle of downtown and we got to the hotel kind of late so we were a little afraid to go out at night. But the hotel itself was very nice. The front desk receptionist was very helpful in more ways than one. We got on the elevator and unfortunately it wouldn't move to take us to our room on the fourth floor. We got out and told the guy and he got in and made sure it was working properly. Tip: The elevator doors can be slow to open and close so patience is a virtue. The staff is willing to work to fix it if needed though. The good thing was that we arrived after the crowd from Hoopfest had checked out so the hotel wasn't full at all. It was nice and quiet in that respect and we discovered that the Riverfront Park wasn't very far away; we could see it out of our window. Didn't get a chance to visit, but it's nice to know that it's close to the hotel. After we checked in we wanted some dinner but as I mentioned before we were kind of leery about going out so the front desk receptionist told us about a wonderful pizza place that delivered and even made sure that the location would deliver to the hotel. We had to wait a while for our food but we got a great deal on it and would definitely eat there again. It was nice to have the food delivered and not have to go out. The first guy who checked us in was about to leave so he told us that the next employee would help us if we needed it. He was very nice and helpful as well, along with the girl who checked us out the next morning. I was very happy to see that there was a Chili's restaurant right across the street and we were able to leave our car in the parking lot of the hotel after we checked out and walk across the street for lunch and then come back. Seems like a safe parking lot even though the location seemed kind of unassuming. I would definitely stay here again on another trip to Spokane, if only for the great staff that runs this hotel.
Very easy to get to from I90. It is a great location-across the street from the convention center and Riverfront Park. Easy walk to shops downtown and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. I would certainly stay here again.
A great weekend of shopping. Added bonus Sun with the final day of Hoopfest. Hotel was a great location downtown close to Riverfront Park, lots of dining options, walking paths and the Universities. Parking could be a challenge so spend the extra $15 and park underground. Breakfast was ok although we were given wrong times and didn't get a chance to eat Tu morning (934am). Got there for the leftovers on Mon. Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Definitely better than the airport property. Will be back again next year. Same time. Same place.
Great location and easy to get to from I90. Very nice hotel with very comfortable accommodations. Plenty of decent places to eat nearby and very close to the River Park/Convention Center. Parking is really tight though so bring a small car. Will stay here again when on business. A bit noisy on Friday night with the street traffic though!
We enjoy staying at this hotel as it is right downtown and within walking distance of many restaurants. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. We enjoy the hospitality suite that they provide. Ideal place for golf trip with the guys.
I had just driven 400 miles from Bend, OR to Spokane, WA. It was a long day. The last thing i needed was a problem and delay at checking in, no problem, within 5 minutes i was in my room. A number of good resturants around. The morning breakfast was very good. All of the employees were very nice and accommodating.
Construction late night on street by city, cant be helped. The staff was great and the location cant be beat everything close by Park, Resturants, Theaters, shopping. Would recogmend this to all my friends and family to stay here if they are ever in Spokane.
My wife and I decided to stay here on our tour of the entire state of Washington and we definitely enjoyed this hotel. The rate was reasonable. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. Our room was big and spacious and clean. The bed was soft and cozy. This was the best hotel that we stayed at in Washington. We will definitely stay here again
Stayed here while visiting Gonzaga with our teenager. Pros: - Pet Friendly. We had a 5 month poodle with us and the hotel worked fine. There is a small fee for pets but very reasonable - Rooms were very clean and comfortable - Excellent breakfast. Very pleasant surprise - Good location, not far from Gonzaga and across from the convention center - Staff was very friendly and helpful Cons: - few to speak of. The road in front is a tad noisy. I would not spend the extra money on inside parking but parking is somewhat limited Overall I would strongly recommend this property
This property is clean, well managed and maintained. Our experience with the property and staff was exemplary. Breakfast was the best we have seen in the age of free breakfasts. The room was clean and quiet. Everything worked as intended. The staff was welcoming. Only downside is parking is limited for larger vehicles.
Nice, clean, convenient to downtown and Riverfront Park area. Staff were very friendly. My only complaint was the Muzak that played over speakers in the hallways all night long; when I called to complain that it was waking me repeatedly, I was told they had to leave it on/at that volume because it helped dampen the noise from other rooms.
Stayed there partly because of its location, partly price. Staff were great. Motel & rooms very clean & comfortable. Had DirecTV which I like better than cable. Great continental breakfast. Price was very good for what your getting. Only downside is it's right on a busy street and you hear the street noises. I'd stay again but ask for a room on other side.
The location was perfect. Right across from the convention center and within walking distance of the movie theater, restaurants and shopping. The staff was helpful and friendly at both check in and check out.
This was a first visit at this hotel for me. I went with friends that stay here lots. It is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Check in was fast & easy. Rooms were great and beds comfortable. They even had wine glasses we could use for our evening nightcap. When we returned from the Evening show at the performing arts centre, they still had some cookies for us. We all had a great sleep and in the morning an above average breakfast! Awesome staff in the breakfast area!
Very friendly staff, nice clean room, good breakfast, great location. Only complaint is the pillows were too fat and dense. Pet friendly, but a fee. Walking distance to Spokane Comedy Club and One Tree Cider House.
I was here for 5 days attending a conference. The hotel is in easy walking distance to nearby restaurants, a mall, the convention center, the RiverFront park, and other hotels (I stayed here because the conference hotel room block was sold out). Hotel was clean - lobby, breakfast area, and rooms. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Free WiFi worked well. Amenities in room: bath gel / shampoo / conditioner are in shower-mounted dispensers. Lotion, makeup remover, and hand soap is provided. There is a hair dryer. There is a Keurig machine and several pods were provided. Love that! Breakfast Buffet: Well stocked with fruit, pastries, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cheese, salsa, tortillas (so YES, you can make a breakfast taco!), waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy... I ate breakfast here each day and didn't tire of it, which says something. Two areas that could be improved: -Offer a shuttle to/from the airport. Taxi and Uber are the options. Many of the other Spokane hotels had shuttles, but not this one. -Check weatherstripping on doors of rooms. Mine needed to be replaced as it let in noise and light at night. Otherwise, I would stay here again without reservation.
I felt this hotel was nice considering the price range. It is a five minute walk from Conference Center, was very clean, with complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks throughout the day. The room had two queen/full size beds, television, fridge, closet with iron and board, and a full sized bathtub / shower with complimentary toiletries. Continental breakfast was decent! All staff was friendly and accommodating. My only complaint was we required a cot, which was in very poor repair, in addition to the beds.
We had another wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus City Centre (Spokane). Everything was excellent with special thanks to Sarah Petrino, Assistant Manager. The fresh baked cookies served every evening is the icing on the cake of a great stay!
We called to make reservations and we talked with Dakota!!!! She was so friendly and helpful and we couldn't wait to meet her. Upon arrival she was every bit and more of a super young lady...so much, that we adopted her as a granddaughter for the weekend. We also met the manager Sarah and what a "hoot" she was too. Then the next morning working the breakfast room was Rhea and like the other two ladies...fantastic. They and the other staff we interacted with were outstanding and they provided excellent service. As for breakfast, Rhea kept everything full and along with Sarah kept tables wiped off and clean. The eggs were perfect as normally we have found that they are over cooked. There were many choices and you couldn't go wrong with the sausage, bacon, waffles, miscellaneous breads, fresh fruit and the like. As for our room, it was clean, spacious, quiet, and our king bed was super comfortable. The wi-fi worked fine as well as our cell service. Location was excellent walk-able to the Arena and Convention center and many choices for restaurants. This will be our hotel of choice anytime staying in the Spokane area. And again, Sarah, Dakota and Rhea...thank you for the great service and recognizing us by name during our entire stay. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!
Friendly staff, clean, spacious and quiet room, good breakfast, great location for walking to riverfront and downtown eats and drinks. Very reasonable price. Navigation to and from the hotel was not a problem and free parking was plentiful and convenient.
We stayed here during a trip to see a show at the arena. Staff was pleasant every time we crossed paths. Room was clean. Road in front is very busy but that is not there fault. Breakfast was good. We paid the extra 10 dollars for inside parking. The place was pretty busy but that didn't affect anything as far as we were concerned. Everything was smooth. Halls were quiet even with a bunch of us coming in at 10 pm from the show. The arena is a 15 min walk but we chose to drive because we had to drive to where we wanted to eat anyway. Lots of places to eat or drink within walking distance. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Spokane.
This hotel is located on a very busy one way street in downtown Spokane, so it is tricky to get in/out of. There was construction going on during my stay (I believe they were having the exterior of the building painted.) The room was nice, clean, spacious, I was unable to use my balcony due to it being covered in painters paper/tape. The one thing that stuck out most about my stay was the staff. There were several people behind the front desk when I checked in, including several children. No one acknowledged me until I spoke up because they appeared too occupied with the kids and their own personal conversations. It seemed like it was an inconvenience to get me checked in. I planned to stop by the desk for dinner recommendations but there was still a crowd and I didn't want to feel like a bother. I may give this hotel another shot because of the location near all the shops and convention center, I do hope the service is better next time around.
Due to water pipe bursting 3 days before Christmas, we had to move out of our home while floors/walls were restored. An attitude of ''what GOOD can come out of this one'' was well-rewarded. Having happily stayed in many Best Western hotels throughout the U.S. and Europe, we chose to have our forced ''stay vacation'' at the Best Western Plus in beautiful downtown, (our home town), Spokane which turned out to be one of the best decisions of our life. Owned and managed by a dedicated, kind and caring local family and extraordinarily competent, charming, helpful staff, our extended stay turned out to be one of the best experiences of our life. Welcoming lobby decor, seating, fireplace and fresh flowers.. Spacious, quiet, comfortable rooms cleaned by smiling, attentive, lovable (Oh, Albertina !) maids leaving big fluffy, towels and excellent toiletries. From the warm greeting the moment we checked in to our last day several months later - which included Christmas, New Years and our Birthdays - we were treated like well-loved 'grandparents.' Front Desk Housekeeping, Breakfast (wide variety satisfying delicious hot & cold choices - best granola ever) staffs all attractive, professional, helpful and fun going way beyond extra mile everyday to ensure our well-being and effortlessly keeping us cheered up and on. Ideally located just across the street from the Convention Center; Around the corner from great little street with grocery store, movie theater, bakery, deli, pubs, restaurants and interesting shopping. Easy, 10 minute walk one way to Performing Arts Center, Riverfront Park, new outdoor skating rink, carousel, gondola ride and many more excellent restaurants, and,15 Minute walk to Eastern Washington and Washington State universities Spokane campuses. Grateful thanks to Meredith, Sarah, Dakota, Tony, James, Raya, Pat, Billl, William and EVERONE else who cared about educated and entertained us Winter through Spring. And, THEN there's ''the gift that keeps giving:'' After months of perfect nights sleep, we bought our Best Western Plus bed upon checking out !
Excellent place to stay in downtown Spokane. Clean and comfortable rooms and the staff are more than then welcoming going out of their way to accommodate our needs during our stay. Definitely where I will be staying when visiting
This hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Everything I needed. Nice breakfast choices, close to a store and restaurants. Perfect location, with easy access to many downtown attractions. I love the huge suites...
This is the second time that I've stayed here in the last 3 - 4 yrs. I really like this hotel because it's in a area downtown in which you can just walk to the mall, convention center, family restaurants and many more activities. Next time I go to Spokane next summer, this will definitely be my "go to" hotel! I love this place!
I meet my sister for a kid free weekend. The staff was very helpful is directing us to places we could walk from the holtel and restaurants. All of the staff went above and beyond to help us with questions and helping. I would stay again.
Overall the place was average and nothing bad. Our room was freezing when we arrived. The TV took about a half hour to download something before it would turn on (it was satalite). The garbage truck arrived at 1am to empty the dumpster right out side our window.
We always stay at BW hotels when travelling. This one is an old Travelodge converted to a BW but with an old elevator, slow to respond with loose panel. Bathrooms need updating, toilets very low to ground and hard to use. Service & breakfast was good though and cookies at 7:30 a nice feature
So glad we chose this hotel. It was super clean and the bed was so comfy I decided to sleep in longer than I should have. It is across the street from the convention center and many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast was delishish with a lot of options. The service was exceptional. Honestly, I was very impressed.
Worst billing experience possible, get charged for neighbors smoking, I haven't smoked in my life, then get some run around about why I was charged all to scam 250 dollars off someone beware if you ever have to stay at this place
Very nice place to stay...close to events, eating. They provided a foot map and showed where to go. They had cookies out and tea or coffee when we came back from the concert. Very helpful and friendly
We stay here every year for a girls weekend. We love the location. It is close to everything and located downtown. The breakfast bar is great and the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay the best.!
Neighbor restaurant has a dumpster in the alley that gets picked up very loudly at 4:30AM! Not a good way to wakeup. Breakfast is ok, but not good. Location is nice (close to a lot of downtown attractions and restaurants). But I would reccomend tgat you stay elsewhere.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last year. The staff is always friendly, lobby very nice and room is comfortable. I make this the place I stay whenever travelling to Spokane for Business.
Front desk staff was very fast, efficient and nice. Rooms are big and clean. Right across from the convention center. Dog friendly. You can hear traffic noise. We would stay again when back in Spokane.
Great Location Very accommodating Great Service, very welcoming Nice rooms Suggest if you are a light sleeper ask for your room to be in the front, we were in the back and it was very noisy with garbage trucks etc in the morning.
We stayed here while in town for a couple of hockey games. I always prefer the Best Western when possible for their non-expiring rewards, as well as breakfast options. Our room had upgraded lamps with two power plugs in each. This is important if you have a CPAP and/or need to plug in your personal electronics. I'm shocked at how many hotels still have such limited options on extra power plugs. The bed was comfortable. I can't say I like small pillows, but they were fine. The bathroom lights were dark, but warmed up. They were CFL bulbs and not LED, which are far better. The staff was very friendly and willing to price match a local competitor, and that was important. It meant they got my business and I'll be staying here again when I need to stay in Downtown Spokane.
Last week had just returned from a business trip in South East Asia. Arriving in Spokane, Washington was delighted to stay at this hotel once again located right off Interstate 90. The staff is exemplary and made me feel right at home. The real plus staying there during the winter months is they have a heated private garage for guest vehicles. Respectfully, W. Lafrance
The staff is awesome. They provide a very personable experience to make you feel like your more than a guest. The hotel is conveniently located downtown within walking distance of many eateries, and shopping.
Service was excellent in all areas: front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping. Rooms are well above average. The king rooms are large and have a comfortable stuffed chair. Plenty of outlets and real art on the walls. Location is excellent if attending event at the convention center or just want to stroll Riverside park. Good value for a 'plus'.
Great place. I hadn't been here before but now it is my go to place in Spokane. Nice rooms, very good housekeeping and reasonable prices. Garage parking for the winter time. Great breakfast. My only complaint would be the water pressure in the shower. The valve is shot and more water comes out of the faucet than the shower head. But I can live with that.
We had our anniversary and it was a very wonderful time the entire staff made our Halloween anniversary wonderful. I had flowers ordered to come into the room and they placed them really well in the room and the bottle of wine and the parking and the Oktoberfest tickets and the breakfast and all the coffee that just wonderful people
Clean, Comfortable, and beautiful. The room was spacioius. The bed was super comfortable. The room looked recently updated and was very nicely done. We appreciated coffee and tea in the lobby when we arrived. This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had.
We had a great stay at the hotel. Food was great and abundant, beds were comfortable, hotel was clean and neat. The proximity to everything is very good and relatively easy to find. Parking may be a little cramped. Only negative was that we had cold water for our showers on our check-out day but we survived. Would stay there again nonetheless.
All of the employees were excellent, from my first phone reservation talk with Dakota, through the kindly woman taking care of the cafeteria area. I've stayed at "fancier" hotels over which I prefer Best Westerns, because I prefer the friendlier atmosphere of Best Westerns. And the Spokane hotel didn't let that standard down. Great, comfortable place to stay.
Best Western Plus City Center, Spokane is a very nice hotel. Rooms are bright and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for attending any events in downtown Spokane. It is a great value for the money.
The staff, the service they provided with the well kept hotel ensured that we had a wonderful stay. First impressions do last and it's obvious that the employees at this hotel take pride in their jobs, the cleanliness was above standard. Our stay was pleasant from start to finish
We stayed here for a college graduation in May. The location was easy to find, we had parking secured in the garage and the service was wonderful! Walking to Riverfront Park and the downtown area was easy. This hotel is not located directly in the downtown area, but close enough for us. We still were able to wander the shops, restaurants and wine bars by foot. The front desk personnel were helpful and friendly.
I felt extremely welcomed from the moment I walked in. The entire process of checking in was pleasant. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is comfortable and the food was perfect for my family. The bed was soft, pillow selection perfect and the shower was delightful. I highly recommend this hotel!
In Spokane this hotel is our place to go to. We arrived late and was greeted by the smell of warm cookies. Email epress check in went smoothly, all our in3formation was already in filled. So, we dont even consider another place.
Great motel, especially for the price. Very nice people. They've added potatoes to the hot breakfast scrambled eggs and sausage. I like the waffles, too. At night, they bake fresh cookies and put out for the guests.
I have stayed at this hotel several times this year & every time my experience is great. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable, the breakfast surpasses those of other hotels I have stayed in. It is close to all amenities and withing walking distance.
The Best Western Plus City Center in Spokane, WA is the best place to stay. The staff is great, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast is good and offers plenty to choose from. From the minute you arrive, you feel so comfortable. It is the best place to stay in Spokane.
This motel is located within walking distance of great attractions and cafe's. It is across the street from a center that hosts many conventions and event, and easy walking from the Theater that hosts good traveling plays.
There is no better place to stay in Spokane for location, wonderful staff and outstanding quality for the money. I would recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a great location to the INB, auditorium, shopping and restaurants. This hotel has been upgraded and is gorgeous and the beds are wonderful. They serve a great breakfast too, which is included with your room. We were on a trip to the West Coast for a wedding And this is a half way point for us from our home. In Seattle we stayed at another Best Western and it did not come close to this hotel. Wonderful value!
We have a Best Western Discount Card so I usually get a very good price. My Husband and I Snobird between Spokane, WA., and Palm Desert, CA. We drive back and forth and see Friends and Family, and we stay at Best Western Hotels. I've only had one bad experience, in all the 5yrs of Snobirding. I Love my stays at Best Western!!
Clean,Good service ,great breakfast ,comfy beds.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.I will be back to this hotel for sure next trip to Spokane. The staff here are so pleasant and helpful .Give this hotel a try next time you stay in this city.
This motel has a great location, good parking, well maintained with helpful staff. We had a 3rd floor suite and their is a 4th floor suite. We could hear in great detail their pleasure at midnight. Followed by a shower that sounded like a jack hammer in our room. The second night the shower was absent. Thanks to our complaint to staff?
My sisters and I had a very nice stay at the Best Western; it was conveniently located to where we were going to an event, and we were able to walk to and from the event, feeling very safe; the breakfast was perfect and our beds were comfortable; I would definately recommend Best Western to friends and family
Really nice and relaxing feel when I got there check in took about 15 minute, but someone was ahead of me. The family suite was really big two rooms with two queen beds and a pullout sofa and a wrap around balcony. stayed two nights and was well worth the cost.
We've just become aware of Best Western and their great included breakfast. So far, these hotels appear to be routinely clean, well managed, and offered at a reasonable price. The beds are comfortable, the included breakfast is ready and tasty, and the coffee pot is full. We're seeking out Best Western these days, and have been very satisfied with their service. A good deal!
The parking lot and inside garage was very tight. Might be ok if you have a subcompact car. My Ford F250 was almost impossible to maneuver. The room was fantastic. We got a suite and it had a bath with shower right inside the door. Further in was the sitting room with a sink, microwave, and coffee maker. Around the corner was the bedroom which had a Jacuzzi. a double sink and separate toilet and full tub. Only disappointment was there's no usb ports for charging cell phones. Overall I'd stay there again. One funny...the pop/soda machine says "Thankyou for staying at Travelodge" LOL
Stayed there for one night during a long weekend and found this to be a very central place to be. Great service at the front desk with an explanation of what's happening locally for events. Within walking distance of the arena, park, falls, malls and much more. Great breakfast also included in the stay with staff that just keeps aiming to please.
Nice big room,( king bed), very helpful staff . There was cookies and hot chocolate in the evening and the lady tending to the breakfast area was spot on. I recommend this hotel for it's location, staff and beautiful rooms.
Excellent service, room and breakfast. Good location near the river walk and downtown. Got upgraded to a lovely suite as it was our anniversary. Had a lovely balconey although it was unfortunately too smokey to use due to the forest fires. complementary newspaper and evening snacks. Will stay again.
Situated down town. Clean hotel. Suggest paying the $10 for parking underground as the outside parking lot fills up fast. Breakfast was decent. Beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. The access to the hotel off the freeway was easier than anticipated.
Everybody was very nice and accommodating during our visit. Hotel looked new and even had that new house smell to it….very nice. Walking distance too many great places to eat and visit. Spokane has a lot of very cool and interesting building to see. Will stay here again.
Brought the boys down for Golf. Perfectly located spot for all restaurants and other amenities. Golf courses are easily reachable within 1/2 hour. They provided all sorts of extras for us. Meredith and her crew are always at the top of their game.
This hotel is always clean and the staff is always friendly and the location works well for us. We ran into an issue on this trip for the first time that isn't discussed on the hotel's website: there isn't enough parking spaces when the hotel is booked up - if you go out at night you have to park elsewhere which causes you to wake up early to either move your car or feed a parking meter.
This is a great BW hotel close to everything downtown Spokane has to offer. Great value and has a 5 star feel. The room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. Best Western has really stepped up there game in quality and is great value. I am back.
Our first visit to Spokane and a great experience at this hotel. Beautiful, super comfortable and terrific staff. A great experience overall. Plus, a great complimentary breakfast in the morning! Would definitely stay here again.
Not far off I-90 makes this a convenient stop on journey. Excellent breakfast included and good strong wifi. Comfortable and quiet room. Home feel with the desk clerks child at the counter. Polite young man he was
Nice lobby, nice room, and good downtown location, can walk to many different areas, Above average breakfast selection, with cinnamon rolls and cottage cheese and peaches along with the usual offerings. The dining area was small. And parking is limited, but overall I felt it was a good value and would recommend it.
This is a wonderful older hotel within walking distance of downtown and several good restaurants. The staff was very nice and the beds are wonderful. Right across from the convention center and walkable to the Riverside
Excellent location. Clean hotel and very friendly staff. We rented a suite for three people and it was very spacious. There was a hiccup - the unit above us has a hot tub that leaked onto one of the queen beds.
The BWSCC is an excellent choice even though it is not right on the Interstate. We found the hotel to be much lower priced than any BW or similar competitor in the area for at least 100 miles. And even though there was some construction in the area, access was not a problem. It was easy to find and very easy to get back to the route as we left. Highlights were the clean and comfortable rooms, the excellent breakfast and the fact that the hotel offered covered parking in a secure facility. It is also located just across the street from the the Spokane Convention Center. We would certainly stay at this hotel again if we were in the Spokane area.
Overall nice stay. The hotel and staff are friendly and helpful. The parking situation is terrible. We were told to park "in the lot behind the building" and given a parking pass. Woke up to a $20 parking ticket. The hotel staff did take $20 off our room to make up for it. Apparently "behind the building" actually means the grocery store next door. Breakfast was a step better than your average continental with hot options. The room was clean with newer bedding, flooring and a new air conditioner. It could have been quieter. You could hear the doors squeaking across the hall.
Excellent customer service and the rooms were Very clean. The only downside of it is no swimming pool. But, they have a lot of other amenities such as free wifi ,free continental breakfast which had a lot of good food selection, free fitness center and many more. Hotel maids were awesome on keeping our room clean for the three days that we stayed there and front desk people were also very friendly.
Only spent one night in Spokane, Best Western right across street from Convention Center, great location.Lots to do in downtown Spokane. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good with wide selection of foods.
Excellent hotel right in the middle of downtown Spokane. Wonderful amenities including good quality breakfast and one of the best hotel fitness centers I've seen. Staff is very friendly, helpful and quick. I highly recommend for a romantic night out or family fun.
The hotel does not have a pool but is within walking distance to restaurant and the riverfront. Hotel staff is very friendly. Buffet breakfast has a lot of variety of hot and cold items. Is located across from the convention centre.
another great stay at an best western, awesome hotel in Spokane Washington, great rooms great service, great employees.....cant go wrong staying at BW downtown Spokane close to restaurant's bars and all amenities' downtown
This was a one night stop during our NW road trip and proved to be a comfortable and welcoming choice. The young man on check-in was friendly and helpful and managed to get us a reservation in a nice restaurant for that evening. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a/c, fridge and safe. The beds were very comfortable except for the fact that the pillows were small and soft by UK standards. A complimentary breakfast is provided, with hot and cold buffet options. Try "biscuits" with cream cheese - it's a winner! A good choice
Very comfortable bed, convenient, friendly staff, only negative was that it was just a bit overpriced. We got in late and was told that the "Satelite restaurant was a great late night spot and it was!
If you are traveling to Spokane for pleasure, Best Western Plus has great location, complimentary FULL breakfast, comfortable beds, new linens and more! Short walk to all the restaurants and shopping as well as catch a movie at the downtown theatre. Attending a production at the convention center? Right across the street. And..free parking so no additional charges to your bill.
Perfect stay. spotless room, parking garage was a great bonus with the coolest little market around the corner. It is easy to get back on the freeway. I will be back and Best Western Plus hotels will be my lodging of choice.
I had to scrub shampoo out of the bottom of my own bath tub before I could even use it. And found a couple bed bugs before literally taking off all of the bedding and leaving immediately. I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here and I genuinely hope they have someone doing inspections because it's foul.
Very nice hotel! Great and friendly staff! Rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Location was great! Great walking area and close to great restaurants. Underground parking is also available. Will be back for sure!
The Best Western Plus City Center is a well run, price competitive motel and a good choice for staying over night in Spokane . The rooms are clean, decor is nice, and beds are of good quality. The rooms are well insulated from noise except for the occasional semi truck driver who wants to wake up Spokane at 3:00 AM with an unmuffled Jake Brake (exhaust brake). The parking is adequate. The breakfasts are on the better end of what most Best Westerns serve. The only downside of this motel is that there are not many restaurants in the immediate walking area. Close restaurants require crossing a busy intersection. Your life is in peril crossing the intersection of W. Spokane Falls Blvd and N. Browne Street as a pedestrian. I kid you not. Be Careful. When staying in Spokane I'll return to this BW Plus motel.
Wonderful location. Walking distance to everything. We would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Spokane WA. Easy access to 1-90. The hotel and the staff were great. Directly across the street from the Convention Center
This is the ideal location for a stay in Spokane. You're across the street from the Convention Center, and just two blocks from the lovely Riverfront Park. You're right off Division Street, which is a main drag with many shops and services. You can hit I-90 East or West quickly and easily from Browne Street, just off the parking lot. And downtown Spokane is right there and very walkable. The hotel itself is so comfortable, and the staff is terrific. Full breakfast and an assortment of newspapers every morning, cookies and cocoa in the evening, free Wi-Fi, a guest coin laundry on the second floor if the need arises, and a nicely outfitted fitness room. Parking is in the outdoor lot or inside in the garage; weekend spaces in the garage must be pre-arranged and are $10 per night. Worth it. Just a terrific place for a very reasonable price.
Great value for a hotel in downtown Spokane, right across the street from the convention center and easy walking distance to the river front and historic district. The staff made us feel welcome especially Sarah ( Assistant General Manager) who went above and beyond.
We stayed here one night while attending a business meeting and dinner. Our event was at the Davenport Grand Hotel - but rooms were booked, so this hotel was recommended to us since it is close by. We were pleased. The room was nice, clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. We were glad that they had a small parking garage for our car. While there was no restaurant at the hotel, there were plenty of options within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast was good and had hard boiled eggs as well as scrambled eggs in addition to the continental breakfast items. They provide fresh baked cookies in the evening which were very good. We would stay here again - all was good.
We arrived very late on the train, but they made the check in very fast so we could get to our room and sleep. The room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The only downfall was no pool, and small parking lot that fills fast. Then you have to pay to park under the hotel. $10
The staff at this property are top of the line excellent. They know the area and most helpful with directions. If you neef help the genuinely are delighted to help. Helping guests truly gives them joy. The breakfast is plentious and delicious. The rooms are very nicely appointed and have a good flow to them. Thi property is on the edge of diwntown and anything you could want to go to could be walked to and back without to much exertion. Tje lobby os beautiful. The support stafg , custodians and housekerping, are very helpful and professional. This stay was my second hotel and I look forward to a return visit.
A great place to stay, wonderful location, friendly staff, all at an affordable rate. We were able to dine at several locations within easy walking distance, as is Riverfront Park only two blocks away. it will be our place to stay whenever we visit Spokane. Thanks to everyone on the staff who made for a memorable stay.
After a long drive my family and I arrived at B/W hotel, where we encounter the most rude front desk person ever (TONY). Who informed me that my reservations was completely incorrect, I had made my reservation through the 1800 number for B/W , and was told by Toni , that if i wanted to make sure my reservations was the delay I wanted I should have called them directly, and that I just needed to acept the room he had for me at that time, I'll never go back to this hotel again
What a great place to stay with an excellent staff to welcome you. The whole staff was like that giving us suggestion on where to go to eat. We were celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary and decided to explore the north west. The breakfast at the hotel was outstanding. They had anything you might want to eat. I had biscuits and gravy and it was outstanding. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had a room with a balcony and were able to watch the fireworks from the balcony. We will be back next time we are in Spokane.
What a great place with excellent welcoming staff and amenities. Very central to downtaown. Loved all our stays there. Breakfast was superb as always. It is a perfect spot for our little getaways with friends or family.
Came to town to see Phantom of the Opera. Pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the hotel. Close to restaurants, shopping and the INB Performing Arts Center. Breakfast was excellent, and not in a cafeteria like setting. Indoor secure parking is a big plus! Front desk staff were very friendly. Thanks!
We only stayed one night but enjoyed our quick pass through Spokane. The people we bumped into were very helpful around town (An antique shop down the street a gas station for directions) There was a really nice grocery bistro right behind the Hotel (much like our Planet Organic) but with a deli. I/we enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel, and the gym. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and even had a Kurig with tea, coffee and decaf choices - nice touch.
I was able to get a room at last minute and was treat as if I was the most important person. I appreciate that kind of customer service. The breakfast was hot and a great selection. The coffee was hot and has coffee mate creamer. And hazelnut creamer made my coffee awesome.
Last minute booking after leaving Glacier NP. Easy to find and they do have some inside parking. Across the street from the Convention Center and the River Walk/Expo grounds. Easy walk to great eateries and the downtown Mall. The stay was quiet and the free breakfast was very good. Helpful staff and a wonderful central location make this a great place to stay.
Our group of 45 cyclists came to ride the Spokane River Centennial Bike Trail. The hotel was centrally located across from trail allowing quick access in both directions. Loved exploring the downtown area, numerous restaurants and Riverfront Park during our stay. We will definitely return.
The only reason that I did not rate this excellent is due to the lack of parking. There is outdoor parking and a parking garage, but we were there on a Monday and had to leave the hotel at 9:30pm to pick someone up at the airport. When we returned at 10:30 there were no spots left. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and told us that we could park in a parking lot for the business behind the hotel. However, he informed us that we would need to move our car by 8am. At least it was a solution, but it was very inconvenient and it certainly did not seem very safe since our car was the only one parked there. As far as the room we have no complaints - everything was superb! The employees that we interacted with were all very helpful. We were extremely impressed that they had so many options for breakfast including soy milk! Overall, absolutely wonderful - it just would be nice if they could fix the parking situation!
Great staff who were very friendly and helpful. Dakota at the front desk was able to accommodate a slightly earlier check in for us and gave great tips for dining and sightseeing. Clean and well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Amazing variety for breakfast; well cared for by Pat who was very efficient and welcoming. They have everything from breads and pastries to eggs and yogurts, oatmeal, sausage, waffles, etc. We would definitely stay here again. (one tip - our room faced the convention center, and traffic could be loud which was no fault of the hotel. I'd request a room facing the other direction next time)
This hotel in downtown Spokane was a great place to stay. We had plenty of activities in the area and restaurants around us to choose from. We especially liked the secured garage for parking our motorcycle at night.
The Best Western Plus City Center in Spokane, Washington is a very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and willing to help if there is a problem. The breakfast was average with a waffle pan, milky scrambled eggs, and two or three types of yogurt. The King bed room with balcony faces a busy street next to a large sports arena, which is next to a large art theater. Not a quiet place to have a cup of coffee or glass of wine. BW guest have to pay $10 for weekend parking, otherwise it is free from M-Th.
I last stayed in this hotel a year ago. This downtown hotel is well placed across the street from the convention center and River Park. It was renovated last year and is still in great shape. However, the lower floors can be noisy, particularly in the front. I recommend this hotel but suggest the top floor in the back. I also recommend paying the $10. charge for below ground parking.
Arrived on a Sunday, parking was not an issue, even with boats in the lot. Practically a perfect Best Western. Best Western Breakfast Report: Best Western Plus City Center, Spokane sets the baseline for Best Western breakfast. No melon or bacon though.
Heavy noise from loud cars. Walls and windows are ill-suited to the type of traffic at this intersection where loud cars/bikes/trucks race away from the light. Great shower, nice bed, good-enough TV. I've stayed here many times. Always friendly staff and housekeeping has always had a clean room ready for me.
Location is good and you can walk around. Hotel for best western was average . Front of hotel rooms can have noise from street traffic , but if you have the fan on , you will be ok. Breakfast , coffee was cold , so I had to keep heating it up in microwave. The selection was your standard : instant oatmeal, toast, Apple and banana for fruit , yogurt , waffle maker, eggs, cereal etc. Room have have fridge , microwave and coffee . Bed was comfortable . Would I stay again most likely not. Checking in the desk clerk was very nice and helpful. Checking out not so.
staff was great. only issue was parking and staff handled the large vehicle problem without skipping a beat or any stress. The oatmeal without sugar was great and cinnamon was provided at breakfast. The location was ideal for our visit and wedding we attended. My wife had no complaints except why should we leave!
Location is great as we have access to many restaurants and activities downtown without having to drive. While the hotels markets golf packages for groups we were frustrated that it did not have the Golf Channel on their TV package, especially as it was the US Open weekend.
Best Westerns are all virtually identical. That's why I stay there and why I like them; I know what to expect. Quiet rooms, good mattresses, decent amenities, same old decent enough breakfast (yawn) very computer-friendly desks, laundry, workout room, pool. This one was pretty much the same as all the others; pretty good. One problem: if the outdoor (free) parking is filled up, you have to shell out ten bucks to park in the garage. Not cool, Spokane.
We had a very pleasant stay at The Best Western Plus City Center, Spokane. It was a clean Hotel, the Staff are very friendly and helpful. Having a parking garage was a very nice feature and well worth the $10 a night. One block away is a great location to walk around, have dinner, drinks and check out some very unique stores. We would stay there again.
This was our second time staying here. We had a few issues the first time, so we gave it another shot. Clean comfortable rooms and a better than average breakfast. Great location if doing things in downtown Spokane. This property is on a main road, so you may hear road noise if on the road side. We were but it was minimal. The Convention Center is across the street along with several restaurants and bars. Depending on why I was in Spokane, I would stay here if it was convenient.
Clean and comfortable, within walking distance of most places we wanted to visit. Would prefer better coffee options in the room (not a fan of keurig pods) but, overall, great value. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.
I always rely on BW when I travel. I was not disappointed! Easy access from the highway. Very nice amenities and a breakfast to get the day going! I will continue to seek out BW as my only choice for all my traveling needs.
We stayed at the Best Western Downtown Spokane on our road trip and had a very good stay. The hotel staff were very helpful and gave us directions to local attractions and many suggestions about places to eat... very important to us
I must say I haven't stayed at this hotel for quite a while. My family and I stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. I found the location super convenient to my work--which made it easy for me. I could just run right up to my room when I needed a break. The staff there is absolutely amazing. I have got to know them all really well. Dakoda even dog sit our dog while we were away and played football with my son! I can't wait to stay again and won't wait so long next time.
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, hot breakfast was good and the location of the hotel was close to many restaurants and activities. Rooms were very spacious and beds were cozy with perfect amount of pillows.
Arrived without an reservation and was assisted with a room with no problems. The associates are very friendly, and know their areas information and events available. The rooms very clean and well maintained.
The hotel was quite nice and well kept. Staff was very responsive and friendly. Stayed in a standard room and it was in nice shape and very comfortable. Our room faced the street where the convention centre is located so there was some traffic noise that may keep some awake if light sleepers. Breakfast was presented well however the food was only average. A nice location to stay for a decent price.
We stayed here one night before visiting Gonzaga University. The staff in extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and large, the wifi worked great, and the breakfast was awesome. I didn't use the fitness center but I usually do so I checked it out and was impressed with the amount of equipment available. Would stay again. Thanks!
Room had nice clean decor, very nice hotel. Great location to downtown, were able to walk around downtown and didn't have to worry about parking a car.Would definitely stay here again. great hotel!!!!
Only reason not a 5 star is there is no shuttle to and from the airport. They offered to call us a cab but the cab ride cost $30. Hotels that charge less a night had free shuttle...sad to see they didn't have one.
Extremely well placed property in center of Spokane. It made using downtown amenities easy as well as visiting lovely parks and Universities in Spokane. That combination made it a super satisfying visit.
Stayed at this hotel a few times over the years. Now that it's a Best Western I'm sure the quality will continue. Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, but they had a good spread. The rooms are clean and the hotel is pretty conveniently located for downtown Spokane. Great place to stay.
Good location and good service from staff. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as within walking distance and easy access to freeways. Comfortable and clean rooms. A little traffic noise because of the location but not too bad.
This is the hotel you've always dreamed of. Personal, efficient and caring front desk staff. I needed a taxi for 4am...not only did they arrange it, but they called at 3:45am just to confirm that it would arrive on time. Great advice on restaurants and pubs...everyone was a winner. Clean and comfortable rooms with very polite room cleaners...and a great location (right across from the convention center).
We wereattending a conference at the Grand Davenport Hotel which was much pricier, did not offer free breakfast nor free parking but the Best Western Plus did. We were 3 blocks from our conference and many restaurants were within 2 blocks. Wonderful value for our stay.
Very clean Hotel, helpful staff. Highly recommend the Best Western. They helped me with restaurant recommendations , they ensured I had excellent parking in the garage for my classic car. The view from the 4th floor was very nice..
This is a clean quiet hotel with much to offer within walking distance and friendly helpful staff. I was referred to it by an orthopedic vet "pet friendly" and as a client of the vet i would recieve a discount. I brought four dogs with me, two who were to be seen by the vet (and stay overnight there) and two for company. I was charged a deposit for both dogs that would be staying with me as company. The vet decided one of the dogs that was to undergo surgery was not quite ready so now I had three dogs in the room. I never left them in the room alone and they are well behaved CDC holding dogs with good manners. i dare say the room was as clean when I left it as it was when I arrived as I traveled light and ate out and did not use the shower and only used one of the two beds. I was still charged for the 3rd dog they spotted during our trips outside for potty (which i cleaned up after). i thought for a pet friendly hotel, this to be a bit over zealous. With my discount, my one night stay was over $150. Nice clean, quiet, friendly hotel but i will probably stay with friends next time. Paying a $45 non-refundable deposit for pets who do nothing wrong is not really being "pet friendly". In addition, trash pick up was at 11:30 pm right under my window and a deliver truck also woke me up around 4am.
I recently stayed 3 nights at this Hotel. The staff on every shift were very polite, friendly and helpful! The house cleaning staff even left personalized, had written notes thanking you for your stay. The rooms were very clean and modern. The reception and breakfast areas were also. The location is fantastic right across the street from the convention center and beautiful Riverfront park. The optional indoor parking is a great. Everything about this place is top notch for the price. The best part about it is management's obvious priority to provide excellent customer service! I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Spokane.
Dropped in for business. Clean hotel with recent updates. Friendly staff. Breakfast was beyond the typical bagel and cream cheese. Eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, etc were all available and fresh. Indoor parking is also a very welcome bonus when traveling
We arrived later in the day without a reservation. The front desk person was very accommodating in helping us get a room that was comfortable and fit our needs. Next time I'm in Spokane, this is where I'll be staying.
We checked into the hotel and there was a reception for us! It was a wonderful welcome after a long travel delay. The check in process was quick. Our rooms were clean and very spacious. There is 20 of us in our party.
The staff at the Spokane Convention center Best Western Plus are the best I have dealt with in a long time. They quickly corrected a problem, were kind and courteous, and offered apologies and discounts when the services were not what I expected. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Spokane.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone attending events at the Spokane convention center. Safe parking, great value and delicious breakfast. The beds were very cozy and they had firm and soft pillows to choose from.
Called and made reservation while we were on the road. We had difficulty finding the entrance to the hotel because it looked like a parking lot. Office entrance needs some work. Staff was so friendly and helpful recommending places to eat. Room clean and appointed nicely. We would stay here again now that we know where the entrance is.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Always willing to help and give directions. I love staying here because it is close to the University. The warm cookies at night makes the stay even better. The only thing lacking is a hot tub.
We stayed at the Best Western when we attended the Spokane First Night for New Year's Eve. We usually stay at the Oxford for overnight Spokane trips but decided on the Best Western because of its central location. The price was comparative to Oxford but we soon found out that we had to pay for parking. When we received our parking pass for their garage it was so packed and tiny you had to be careful not to ding a car. It was a good thing we did not have to go anywhere because we ended up have a car double park behind us. The room was clean but the hall was loud and littered with occupant's trash. When we returned for a break from walking we had a staff member at the door to let us in due to an overabundance of people trying to come in who did not have rooms. When we decided to call it a night my partner witnessed a man beating a woman outside the hotel and cops were called. We have come to Spokane during many crowded event times and never experienced this kind of chaos at a hotel. Even though the price was comparable to the Oxford and it was more convenient to walk to all the events what we experienced during our stay had more cons than pros. Im sorry to say we will not stay at the Best Western again.
I was just in Spokane to attend a funeral, we stayed at the BW city center for 3 nights. Our first night we were checked in by Ashley, one of the nicest check ins I have had at any hotel. Ashley told us to come down to the lobby a little later and they would have cookies and hot chocolate, my 3 year old was sold. Not only did she make him the hot chocolate but she took the time to make sure the temp was correct and topped it off with some whipped cream. Our last night there the Mary was working the front desk, and after 3 days out of town my son was having a melt down over everything. When we walked in Mary said hi to him right away and showed him the fish they have....crisis averted. The room was clean and roomy, the lobby and halls were also very clean and welcoming. There was a good selection of breakfast items both hot and cold to choose from each morning. We had several restaurants to choose from withing a 5 minute walk from the hotel as well as a garage to park in. If I find myself in need of a hotel in Spokane again this will be my choice, hands down!!
The staff is more than wiling to tell you where the happening spot are give you a map..Let you check in early or late with no problem if they are not booked. They have almond and soy milk with the big breakfast seleection
The Best Western hotels have always been very well maintained and taken care of, the staff are courteous and helpful whenever needed. The hot breakfasts are extremely convenient when you have early morning meetings. The fitness rooms and pools are an extra to look forward to.
Great location great value great facilities. This was a very convenient location because it was in the heart of town close to the convention hall, freeway. The evening cookie snack was a sweet delight.
As always BW has lived up to it's reputation. Great location, comfortable beds, clean rooms. They give you sample bottles of shampoo/conditioner instead of the new tub in the wall thing hotels now put in place.
The Best Western in Spokane, WA truly is the very best place to stay. When you walk in the door you receive a great welcome. The staff is great. The room is very nice and very clean. The breakfast is good and is as much as you could eat. I try to think of reasons to go to Spokane and stay at the Best Western at the city center. I feel like royalty when I stay there. I highly recommend it as the best place to stay.
We recently checked in to the Best Western Plus on Spokane Falls Blvd in Spokane, Washington and had a lovely visit. The hotel is very comfort and clean and inviting with a complimentary quick breakfast in the morning, coffee and tea available all day but the best part was fresh baked cookies every evening to welcome us back in after a busy day of shopping and the theatre. We also really enjoyed our desk clerks who were friendly and engaging. We have stayed here several times due to these compliments mentioned and also this is a reasonably priced hotel one block from the INB Centre for the Performing Arts. We have already booked for June 2017 when we will visit Spokane again to see " The Phantom Of The Opera"!
We have stayed at this BW many times over the past 15 years. The management has always made us feel like family and we certainly wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Spokane. We haven't experienced any problems over the years and strongly recommend this facility to any families or traveling groups.
The location to the convention center, Gonzaga and local bars and restaurants is unmatched! Their service is impeccable and the rooms are very clean and modern. The workout center has all the machines you would need including free weights. No Pool. Breakfast and Wifi is always included as well as secure garage parking (a BIG plus when staying in Spokane)
We rolled into town looking for a room. The front desk woman was so accommodating. Got us all in including my two dogs. Very clean. Very friendly! I went for a walk outside and their was a tonne to explore.
Just noticed the "plus" in the name: is this a new upscale brand for BW? Mapping software shows it as a Travelodge, and it looks newly renovated, with granite countertops. This hotel reminds me of the Hyatt Places that I've stayed at (minus the pool). Clean, comfy, well-appointed. Our unit had a little balcony, microwave, and fridge. Beds are made with sheet sandwiches surrounding the comforters and lots of pillows, like the upscale hotels. Staff were courteous and friendly, location convenient and close to everything. The free breakfast isn't great IMO, but I don't like carbs.
the staff at this hotel goes the extra mile to make you feel at home! They are warm and welcoming! The rooms are very nice! the hotel is very convenient in downtown Spokane , within walking distance of many of Spokane's attractions!
We come back to this hotel for work as all of us love that they have fresh baked warm cookies in the evening. But this time the cookies were cold and seemed to be out of a package and certainly weren't warm out of the oven. Can't complain too much as they were still good, but it's hard to beat warm cookies in the evening!....
Great people, great location within walking distance of all downtown activities. You have access to several top restaurants. The downtown convention center. Quick access to malls and other locations. Lots of walking trails or running trails and a great fitness center.
Overall I would recommended this hotel to family and friends. Located right across the street from the Spokane Event Arena and close to the downtown business district. I would advise to ask for a room close to the elevator as the corridors are rather long.
We were in Spokane for a family emergency. The staff were beyond kind and helpful, courteous and caring. Our first room on the 3rd floor was noisy when the guests in the room above us walked about the room, so we were upgraded and moved to another room, no questions asked. Breakfast is standard fare but filling. Rooms are clean, spacious, beds are very comfortable, location of property is perfect. Would definitely stay at this property again, given the magnificent manner in which we were treated. We observed other guests being treated in the same friendly, kind manner.
Rooms are large, beds comfortable and clean. We were treated great by the staff. The continental breakfast are like most others but good! Lots of choices but if you want specialty foods this is not the place
great breakfast for a hotel. To have free parking in this area is huge Staff is very helpful. Spacious room with refrigerator, but no microwave. What looks like a nice coffee setup(I don't drink coffee, but looked great).
This hotel is newly remodeled. It has very comfortable rooms. Right in the heart of Spokane, so it is within walking distance of many restaurants and other amenities. A nice hot breakfast that has a good assortment. Good free parking! The staff are very pleasant and very helpful. The cookies were another nice touch. Will be back.
Would have rated it perfect except for the toilet and all the construction going on. We upgraded to a suite and was worth it. Close and convenient to everything. We came back from dinnwer and a homeless person stopped us and asked for money which concerned me a little to be outside at night by myself. Overall plan to go back.
Hotel was nice - nothing special but comfortable. My review really focuses on the Wifi Internet. This hotel has the slowest internet I've ever used, and for the year 2016 - this is ridiculous. I had faster internet over 10 years ago. Speed tests were getting me ~2mbps down, and that's when I could actually connect (iPhone and MacBook) There has been a steady stream of reviews complaining about the Internet, but obviously it is not a priority for management. If you like the Internet, don't stay here.
Decent, clean hotel, the outside sounds were a little loud for downtown. The fan on the AC unit masked most of it. There are minimal amenities, good breakfast options but there was an additional $10.00 fee to use the garage parking on the weekends, starting Friday night. "Due to limited space." The garage never filled up. Internet service is slow and erratic, it was difficult to get any work done.
This hotel is conveniently located across from the Spokane Convention Center. It's right at the edge of downtown and within walking distance of Riverfront Park. The beds are nice, firm, and comfortable. The rooms are clean but the carpets are starting to show their age. The front facing rooms offer views of the convention center while the back rooms show a city alley behind the hotel (yes, throughout the night, you will hear all the noises that come with being an alley in the city!). They offer a free breakfast in the lobby. On the days we were there, they had sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, some fruit, waffles and pancakes. It makes for a hearty breakfast! They offer covered reserved parking for $10/day. Parking is free in the hotel parking lot outside but it is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis. However, if you opt for covered parking and have an extra wide vehicle, you may have challenges squeezing into the relatively narrow entrance. One of our biggest frustrations in our stay was the availability (or lack) of Internet WiFi. Connectivity was sporadic and sometimes, completely unavailable. You'd be online checking your email and when it came time to reply, you wouldn't have a connection. All in all though, we had a satisfying stay at this establishment aside from their poor Internet connectivity. It was clean, inexpensive, and close to downtown Spokane.
Rhea (Breakfast Lady), Front Desk clerks Ashley (evening) and James (overnight) were kind and helpful. James worked to try to address the major noise problem but didn't receive the support/aid needed to solve the issue. James called the noisy guests above us (though they didn't answer the phone or knocks on the door), got the Security Guard to come over and try to establish contact with the guests. James genuinely worked hard to try to fix the problem, but he didn't have any Next Steps to follow... Sarah (Front Office Manager) showed up and tried to fix the issue, and did comp the room. Like James, Sarah didn't have established procedures to use to help deal with guests who were ignoring attempts to get them to reduce the noise level. Sarah provided business cards for herself and the Manager, Meredith, so that the hotel can work to provide us a better experience in an upgraded suite next time we're planning a trip to Spokane for shopping (books, clothes) and to enjoy great local restaurants... Another positive - Sarah and James cleaned the replacement room themselves, and made the beds - that's above and beyond! Rhea made sure we got food when we came back downstairs even though breakfast hours were officially over, and plied us with yogurt and cinnamon buns before we got a room to sleep in! Ashley - great tip on The Onion restaurant - YUM!
The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed was A-MAZ-ING! Found out they've been working through the rooms changing out the beds and we were lucky enough to get a new one. Room 204. Maybe the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Zzzzzzzz.
Hotel was a little older, no pool, a very nice exercise room. The rooms were nice, everything clean. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the breakfast very much. Did not visit the bar, believe there was a nice one. Across the street from the convention center and a beautiful park. Many restaurants that are within walking distance. Everyone in the area went out of their way to help us get around and find the perfect place to enjoy a good meal.
Easy walking distance to the Convention Center. Walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. Easy access from freeway. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Next to busy intersection, but road noise was minimal.
This was a comfortable and pleasant place to stay, although there was urban noise at night - sirens, etc. It's located right next to the convention center, and would be convenient for business visitors. There are some good restaurants and a riverside walk nearby.
My family and I stayed at this Best Western for Oktoberfest at the River. The check in was easy and staff was very nice and accommodating. It is right across from the Convention Center, I would recommend for any events at this location. The room was comfortable and clean; little to no noise. The staff the entire visit was wonderful & the morning breakfast was decent as well. Will definitely be back!
I stayed here last night on a business trip , tired after arriving into Spokane International Airport. This hotel is very nice the staff is very friendly, breakfast buffet is much more than I expected for the price of the room. This hotel has a private gated parking lot for guests at no extra charge.
I stayed at the BW Plus city center Spokane with a group of friends because we were attending a concert at the Spokane Arena. Great hotel, very clean and nice, and they offer a free breakfast with many options, much better than your average free hotel breakfast. The location couldn't have been better. It was a 10 minute walk to the arena from the hotel. Very handy to not have to worry about getting a cab. The staff was also a pleasure to deal with, all of them friendly and eager to help. Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
Convenient to downtown area, I guess, but you must deal with limited free parking or else pay $10 to reserve a garage spot. Also noise from traffic and late night party people. No pool or hot tub. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms. They play soft music in the hallway all night long, but you can't hear it in the rooms, so I guess that is okay. Lots of places to eat nearby within walking distance. Staff was really friendly and efficient.
The staff is so friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate that we were there on a Friday night so we had to deal with loud music coming from next door. The front desk offered for us to move but we chose not to because we did not want to pack up all out things and move. Also the air-conditioner did not work properly. In the middle of the night the fan would stop and it would get so hot, could not get a good night sleep. The room was clean and nicely decorative but no microwave in our room just the refrigerator. There is a desk with 2 chairs that we used for our suite case.
I never had a chance to stay at your hotel that you call "Pet Friendly". You advertise it as a pet friendly hotel but it doesn't say its for DOGS ONLY! I had a cat and was turned away from staying at your hotel! Seems like a bait and switch scam going on here. On top of this I got CHARGED FOR A DAY??? when I was turned away by Best Western for having a PET CAT!!! And let me repeat this, it does not say, it does not accept any other pets than just dogs!!!
This hotel is well located to many restaurants, bar, shopping and riverfront park, great price for larger well appointed rooms, garage parking, and free breakfast . the front checkin staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly i would definitely stay here again.
At check in, it was a pleasure to be greeted by friendly staff who were knowledgeable and eager to see customers needs were met. Recommend parking in the garage if you can. there was no charge the night we stayed but there is on certain nights. Ignore the sign above the garage entrance that says it is for compact cars only. We parked a minivan there with no issues. Room was good sized and clean. Complimentary breakfast was also good with a large selection of hot and cold foods.
It's always a pleasure to return here, from the welcome before it all starts to the farewell before the next trip is planned. Great easy access that puts us bang in the center of what we go to Spokane for, great welcome, comfortable beds and good breakfast choices.
This is your typical Best Western Plus. Comfortable room, good sleep, breakfast ready when you are. Sarah at the front desk goes beyond her call of duty. I said something about having difficulty with the BW web site slash central reservation which needs major attention. She offered to call the BW of my next stop and I was booked in for two nights, instead of only one offered at the web site. Thank you Sarah. The BW Plus City Center was uber convenient. It is just a few minutes from I-90. There was a good choice of restaurants nearby. The breakfast was good, but where was the bacon? That cost them an excellent rating.
Although the website indicates that parking is free ... when checking in we were advised that when the hotel is busy, it is recommended to pay $10 to reserve a space in the garage otherwise you may not have a space in the parking lot outside ... REALLY ???? We ended up walking everywhere that first day and checked out the next! The breakfast was not up to par with other BW Plus that we've stayed at ... the presentation was mediocre! The pillows are terrible
Our first introduction to this hotel was the young lady at the front desk, Dakoda. Many front desk clerks are "just doing their jobs". This young lady exudes hospitality and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped inside the lobby. She offered us an assortment of hot drinks and freshly baked cookies. Our room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The location of this hotel is in the middle of Spokane close to mall and park but you'd never know it in our quiet room. The breakfast was delicious and there were many options for all kinds of dietary restrictions. My husband had to have major eye surgery at the nearby Eye Clinic and we had to stay for two nights. Staying at this hotel made a most uncomfortable experience for him much more tolerable. Thank you!
A very nice hotel. We stayed in town on our way to Seattle. Very clean, updated rooms. Super clean breakfast area with many choices and suburb coffee. Very friendly staff, made a quick stop enjoyable. We visited during a wildfire not far away and smoke smell was evident. Not in hotel control at all but our belongings smelled smoky after this stop.
I would possibly put a 5 star but parking was difficult at night. They only have limited parking outside and if they run out spot, you can park indoor but the staff suggested a charge of 10$. 10$ is not a lot but you have to say these things upfront. We don't like to get surprise once arrived. Breakfast was good except on my last day, everything was running out. There was no staff dedicated for breakfast. One of the front staff( I think her name is D) was running back and forth. She was doing her best and honestly staffs of this hotel were exceptional. The staff I talked over the phone ( A) was also nice to give us a room with microwave, which I requested. They offer cookies at the evening, but I didn't get any. She was kind to offer some cinnamon bun for the kids! I think that was very nice of her. I have to say though , the carpet didn't look very clean to me and we found a lot of food particles underneath the bed. If you are planning to be around downtown, river park...this is the place to stay!
An excellent place to stay in the vibrant downtown area of Spokane. Easy walk to downtown shopping, movies and a wide range of culinary delights! Underground parking is available for added security of your vehicle - $10 per night. The breakfast is great - your standard fare for a get-up-and-go morning. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Spokane, this is a hotel not to be missed.
Dakoda was absolutely wonderful. Friendly (sincerely) caring, and made us feel very happy and comfortable at the hotel. The assistant General manager, Sarah, was also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay at this hotel in future, as they truly look after their guests. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We loved the way the cleaning staff treated eachother and were so encouraging to a special needs lady who they have included as part of their staff!
this is one of the greatest of the best western's location is superior right in the center of the city within walking distance of the water falls and great restaurants. the park is also next door plus walking and riding trails that go for miles. the hotel is all new. beds, furniture. every single thing from carpet, furniture, lobby, everything is brand new. done in a great way. management is also beyond reproach. breakfast is of top restaurant quality
I took my little sister on an overnight trip to see 5 seconds of summer. We stayed in a room on the second floor. It was quite large and nicely decorated. The only thing was the wifi at night wasn't the greatest but whatever, it was just one night and it was fine during the day time. I'm a Best Western employee and this was a really lovely hotel. Even the continental breakfast was pretty good! I wanted to say that Dakoda at the front desk, was wonderful. She was friendly and funny and is a wonderful addition to the hotel. Her service was exceptional! Thank you guys! It was great!
Very friendly and accomodating staff, efficient check in but was disappointed the garage parking was reserved and pay only now. This was a change from last I was there in October 2015. While it was a busy weekend in Spokane (lots of parents for Gonzaga's orientation) we had no problem parking in the lot. The property is consistently well maintained - the rooms are super clean and have all amenities needed. I especially liked the four pillows on the bed! Room temperature was good and adjustable to my ever changing needs! The breakfast was good in quantity but nothing to write home about in terms of quality, however, it more than served it's purpose. Loved the freshly baked cookies in the evening!
This hotel became a Best Western a couple of years ago and was totally remodeled. Though the general layout has not changed, everything has been modernized. The rooms are clean and well appointed as is the lobby, including a computer/internet room. It is a "Plus" BW but has no pool. However, it makes up for this with the location---across the street from the convention center, a couple blocks away from downtown shopping and very close to the great riverside trail going through town. Their breakfast is definitely a cut above standard BW fare and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Good hotel to stay but pay for parking if you planning to stay Friday night or Saturday night. Best Western offer garage parking for $10.00, it is worth it considering the parking situation. Hard to find parking on weekends. Hotel is located at good location, closer to riverfront park.
The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. My husband has a disability and everyone was helpful. Breakfast time was generous and the food was great. We both found the bed to be comfortable, and the lighting in the sink area were optimal.
This was a very nice property. Good location around good food and entertainment. Downtown location was perfect. Everything within walking distance. Very nice, breakfast was good people were helpful. I .will stay again when in Spokane.
Inside of hotel really looks good - specifically the inside my room. Having a choice of USA paper is another good quality of why i decided to stay at this hotel. My meeting was in downtown Spokane, WA, so this hotel was easy to get to after my meeting. Also, there was a eating place located one block from my hotel.
I was very pleased with the presentation of this hotel within the staff, our room and the work out environment. Had a great breakfast to begin each day and it was just a very comfortable place to stay.
Booked this hotel thru Air Miles. Parking a bit of an issue so arrive early. Hotel was right down town, asked for none smoking, no pets, high floor, we got all three, nice to see 2 elevators. Room was comfortable, wifi worked well. Needs new pillows.
No pool needed at this wonderful hotel! Great front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff! Beds were super comfy and they had Keurig coffee maker for coffee or tea as well as complimentary bottled water. Exceptionally clean and friendly, and near great restaurants and bars - located in downtown Spokane. Excellent breakfast. Had our dog with us and walked her everywhere. They also provided us with potty bags and treats for her. Loved it! Would love to stay longer on our next trip!
Aside from the room and amenities, the front desk staff (Ashley Krom / Sarah Petrino) were incredibly friendly and helpful in suggesting local sights, restaurants and night life. Thanks girls, made the trip absolutely memorable. If we return I would gladly stay here again!
I have no idea where the positive reviews came from. My room here smells of mildew. The pillows are tiny and uncomfortable. The halls and breakfast area are darkish and look like the inside of a tiny warehouse. Sound caries, and I cam hear the upstairs neighbors laughing. I don't understand what people like about this place. It's like a cheap motel, except that it isn't cheap at all.
We arrived by car from the west coast and landed on their doorstep with just our Best Western Card, and they really took care of us. They offer WiFi, free breakfast in the morning, hot cookies at night, coffee almost all day. Rooms are very clean and stocked with all that you need. This location is right downtown, and it a bit of a challenge to get into the parking lot, as it is surrounded by one way streets. Basically, you end up going around the block with left turns if you miss the entrance the first time, which you will, if you come in to the city the wrong way. But once there, all is good. They even have secured parking if you wish to use it, no charge. A number of restaurants are within easy walking range, about 1 to 2 blocks away.
Compared to the Red Lion on the River where we stayed last time the price is not competitive. The Red Lion has a great restaurant with an awesome breakfast. The access is easier. I chose the Best Western this time because of a small price difference. I was disappointed with parking and how difficult it was to get to the hotel. Had a view of the back of a grocery store instead of the beautiful River. Wouldn't stay here again.
This best western has it all -- great amenities, great service, great location. The rooms are spacious, nicely appointed with the most modern features, ALWAYS clean (with none of that hotel smell of febreeze or other obnoxious cleaning products). The owner and manager should be proud of themselves for being on top of their game. You can't find better value than this.
This hotel had been recently upgraded/renovated and it showed in the new carpet and paint. Good location for our reunion 2 blocks away, and the staff quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast items were varied, and kept being replenished. We appreciated the free parking, as well, and were glad we chose Best Western over the hotel where the reunion was held. That one had a daily parking charge, no free breakfast nor Keurig beverage machines like our room did. Best Western also had free wifi.
My experience at this hotel was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed to leave my suitcase somewhere after check out as my conference did not end till later. The hotel staff were gracious and offered to store my suitcase till the late afternoon at no cost.
This B.W was the best price i could find in the spokane area on the night we went through. Way cheaper then the others and close enough to couer dlene. It's worth the savings. There wonderfully nice lady who checked us in. Breakfast was a solid breakfast. Would stay again.
great stay. will stay again soon. location perfect. ownership is fantastic heated garage fantastic in winter months. clean beds are always ready. safety and security is abundant. maids are alway ready to give you more towels and coffee if needed.
The property is just across Spokane Falls Blvd from the convention center. While one must cross the street in the open to get to the convention center (unlike the two connected hotels) the Best Western has advantages. Parking is free, breakfast is provided and rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. There is a Chilis restaurant next door. The property is in great shape and the staff friendly. Request a room on the south side of the hotel for less traffic noise.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location is great. Close to restaurants, shopping and Riverfront Park. We walked everywhere. The room was large, clean and modern. Check in was quick and easy. I really appreciated having a secured garage for my car. Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to eat. Breakfast was good with standard hotel fare. More fresh fruit and vegetables would be appreciated. They have fresh cookies in the lobby every evening. Next time I'm in Spokane I will stay here again.
Had a wonderful night's stay at the Best Western. Friendly staff, modern yet cozy atmosphere. Strolled in at midnight after a long day of moving. Loved the rooms. Very clean and woke up refreshed. Complimentary breakfast was delish! I love this place! Very convenient downtown location, pet friendly. I won't stay anywhere else!
Attending a meeting in Spokane I stayed 2 blocks away from the conference hotel. As a fan of BW brand hotels, I found this to be convenient, a good location, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a bit below the typical BW breakfast but still substantial. For the area, it lacks a bar and the possibilty of food but then, that is not important. located on the Riverside, near the Falls, it offers the opportunity for good walks and also decent restaurants nearby.
I consistently choose Best Western because Best Western consistently provides: a good fitness center, a hot breakfast buffet at no extra charge, a comfortable bed, and nice décor. This time the fitness center equipment was better than usual but lacked dumbbells. A great feature of the location of this one is that it's right next to the food coop (healthy food and nice people) in downtown Spokane and just a couple of blocks from Riverside Park--a great place for a stroll.
We stayed for two nights at the hotel while on a bike trip. The hotel offered excellent comfort at competitive rates. The staff were just superb and incredibly helpful: we could clean the bikes in the basement and park them behind the counter. The breakfast bar was well stocked and wifi in the room and lobby was fast. Thanks for a restful stay!
We arrived to a friendly staff and clean room. I watched them give huge treats to their doggy patrons and cookies for the humans. The rooms were clean. Coffee and tea in the lobby. Breakfast was great with tons of good options! They gave advice on restaurants and their business center was all in working order. We also used their coin laundry and they offered cheap detergent and fabric softener. Really nice evening in Spokane.
Very good to excellent except with problems with key card. I was looking at Spokane and schools. Good location and staff and nice room. Thank you for Early check inn!! It was very great to check in early because I had traveled all nice.
We visited Spokane to attend our son's college graduation and expected a decent stay at the Best Western Plus City Center. We were happily surprised to find the staff there very helpful, especially Ashley at the front desk. She took the time to show us things to do while staying downtown. The other front desk staff were also very attentive to our questions and room needs. The room was clean and ready. The location is perfect for walking to most everywhere. We had little need to drive anywhere because food and entertainment were so close to the hotel.
The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was much better than we expected (they had Greek yogurt, waffles, fruit, eggs, etc.), and the location was walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. It's also a very quick walk to Riverfront Park.
My experience as a whole was excellent! I don't ever see myself staying at different hotel in Spokane, WA. The room was great. The hotel inside and out was super. The breakfast was the best I have ever had at a Best Western. Also, they put out cookies in the evening, which is awesome. However, I don't really eat sweets, but they smelt great and everyone else in my party loved them. All the staff was wonderful, including, Meredith, Dakoda, Ashley, Mary, Rhea, and Mike. There were so many others who made my stay/experience top notch, but I don't recall their names. If you're going to stay in Spokane, WA, stay at the Best Western Plus City Center!!
Best Western Plus was conveniently located to downtown Spokane, near by park, falls and great restaurants. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and very roomy (we were given a handicap room for some reason, which was fine). Breakfast was decent, similar to most continental breakfasts at many hotels these days. Parking was on site and easy. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely hotel, location is great by the waterfront, with a waterfront walking area, close to bistros and fun boutiques to enjoy. Room is very comfortable and a large space, our room had a view of the river. Bath is separate from the sink, bath samples for shampoo and lotion are lemon grass and a excellent quality, bath towels are big and fluffy and lots of them. Best thing they have a special in the evening with which you can enjoy 2 free drinks and a limited menu of salad and soup free. You can also order a full meal all this right at the hotel. The hotel also has a mind in grocery area, for snacks, wine, beer water and other goodies. I would stay in this hotel again any time.
We loved everything her . Rooms were clean , adequate free parking , internet , free breakfast . Extra pillows .We had a fridge , iron board , iron and hairdryer available . Ice is available in hallway . One of the best hotels since this past year. Staff is amazing and friendly.
The City Center hotel is very central to downtown Spokane and walking distance to the River Park and great shops and food. A good value for the price. We stay there the evening before medical appointments and it's only a short drive up the hill to area hospitals.
This is one of the best hotels we stayed in the past 12 month besides one other .I would highly recommend this hotel . Great friendly staff . All amenities , internet and free parking . Rooms are clean and lot's of pillows .
Everything about our stay here was exceptional. Great central location, walking distance to great entertainment and dining options. Free downtown parking. From the first step into the lobby you know you'll be staying in a very nice hotel. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. The decor has unexpected nice upscale touches. The bed is very comfortable, the room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was unusually good, with sausage patties and the amazing fresh cinnamon rolls, as well as boiled or scrambled eggs, fresh waffles & pancakes, fruit, yogurt, and a nice selection of breads and cereal. Even the hair dryer was great quality. I highly recommend this hotel, we only wish we were staying longer!
There are quite a few good things to say about this hotel. It is close to downtown and the convention center, and has free parking, WiFi, an and breakfast (including killer cinnamon rolls), is aggressively clean, has a Keurig coffeemaker and free pods in the rooms, as well as extra pillows and a blanket, and has very helpful, friendly staff. There is a small fitness room with more equipment than space. But it also feels cheap in many ways that impinge on comfort. Our room wasn't fully soundproofed so we were treated to hearing our upstairs neighbors and traffic. The bathroom was comically small, including a slippery, grab bar free tub far too tiny for any adult, no matter how petite. There was no shelf and no counter space in the tiny shower toom, and the small space around the miniature sink in the adjoining area was mostly taken up with the coffeemaker. The bath towels were small, thin and worn. There are no amenities like makeup mirrors or robes. Beds are moderately comfortable with cheap foam pillows. The overall feeling is that you are staying in a very clean budget motel. I wouldn't come back here.
After 2700 miles on this trip we wanted to be able to park and walk to everything we needed and this location was great. Walked along the river and found a good restaurant to boot. Hotel room was good with BW great beds as always. Staff gave us some good advice and check out was fast and easy.
The Best Western Staff were courteous and professional, the continental breakfast provided a variety of fresh items that appealed to everybody's appetite. The only drawback was my room was on the second floor facing the alley, unfortunately there was a lot of noise in alley around midnight and 3am on a Monday night.
Having never staying in a hotel in Spokane. I wasn't sure what to expect. To begin with, the staff is awesome, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. There are several places to eat close by and right across the street from the Convention Center. The only thing I didn't like was no fridge or micro, but then again I didn't ask if they were available. Some places charge extra for them. Anyway, I enjoyed my stay and definitely will stay there again if I visit Spokane. The price is very affordable.
Everyone was wonderful. Convenient Downtown location. Room was very nice-Two room suite. Staff was friendly and accommodating and very nice to my 5 year old son. I would highly recommend this property when visiting Spokane.
We decided to go to Spokane for my birthday and my husband booked a four day stay. We are platinum members with Best Western and we were given a upgrade to king executive suite. This was the first hotel to honor an upgrade so we were very happily surprised and very pleased with the room. This hotel is very conveniently located next to the convention center and the riverfront park. The hotel staff were all very polite, professional, and very helpful with suggestions with restaurant's and places to see. The room was clean and well appointed and included a keurig coffee maker with k-cups as well as microwave and refrigerator. Our room also had a jacuzzi tub and an extended bolcony. There was two issues with this room for me. The bed was very firm and the bathroom fan is very loud. The fan was turned on whenever you turn on the light so there is not an option there. The bed may not be an issue if you like your bed firm. I have a bad back so it wasn't good for me. The breakfast was good. Typical Best Western fare. Over all a very good stay. We would stay there again.
When fridge opened, almost vomited. Long rancid takeout order in there. Staff were helpful and reasonably efficient in resolving problem (moved to other room) but left us feeling cleaning staff were not doing their job and wondering about overall cleanliness.
Overall we were satisfied with our visit. The place was very clean and smelled nice. Those are big to me. The only two issues we had were a small bump in the check/in process, (which was quickly remedied), and one light was not working in our room. Other than that, we had a great stay. We will be going back next year when we do the Garden Expo in 2017.
Great staff! Friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Suggested a fantastic kid-friendly restaurant nearby. Breakfast area was clean and well-kept. Employee maintaining it was great. Helpful, friendly, clean. Rooms were in very good condition. Comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Horrible, horrible stinky cigarette smelling room and musty. Hallway to the room stunk too. Would never, ever stay here again even if it was free!! should have stayed at the Marriott across the street.
I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. Lacking a pool for kids, there seemed to be plenty of things to do... Including to a very well prepared breakfast with much to choose from. The fitness room was more than what could be expected as it was a fairly large room with up to date equipment for either cardio or muscular fitness.
We were in Spokane to attend an event at the downtown convention center and stayed at this hotel. The outside is very plain and misleading - once inside this is one of the nicer Best Westerns we have stayed at. It is really conveniently located right across the street from the downtown event centers and Riverside Park and is within short walking distance of several great restaurants and shopping. The staff was especially friendly and helpful with a lot of good suggestions for where to eat and what to do. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean, neat and in good repair. The breakfast was standard Best Western deluxe continental breakfast. Nothing really special, but a good selection of items and the hot items cooked and presented well. This will definately be the place we always stay when we are in Spokane.
Very friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast. I would stay again for sure. We loved how close to the Riverfront it was as well. Easy and safe parking as well. We got a great AAA rate and got the room we requested.
This is a comfortable and well located place near the convention center. The staff is very good and friendly and they get things done. Our stay of three nights was delightful. Breakfast was the usual buffet with a scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles available and very good coffee. The rooms were nothing really special, but very clean and comfortable with coffee makers and hair dryers, but I have paid less for rooms as good. We could hear people walking in the room above, so ask for the top floor.
Since updating this location is perfect for anything you want in Spokane. Down town by the Conference Center within walking distance to most venues. Great service and excellent breakfast. Everyone was eager to help and pleasant to deal with. Only complaint is the high cost but when weighing against location it pens out. Very clean with great in room accommodations. Will be staying here again!
A friend and I stayed 2 nights in this hotel and I can't say enough good things about it! From them furnishing a forgotten toothbrush, to a very clean room, to delicious breakfasts, everything was spot on. The thing I enjoyed and appreciated most was that to a person, everyone was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I would most certainly stay there again and recommend it to all.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with local restaurant information. We appreciated the free underground parking and thought the room was average for a Best Western. The location was excellent and within walking distance of many restaurants and the Riverfront Park. We were not impressed with the breakfast, but would consider staying there again because of the location and cost.
We were here for our Evergreen Regional Volleyball Tournament at the convention center. The hotel is right across the street, so it's absolutely perfect if you are wanting to go to the convention center. The 2 queen room was spotless and has been renovated recently. The breakfast was the usual BW standard, eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, etc. If they had potatoes/hashbrowns, it would have put the breakfast over the top! We ate at Luigi's one night. It's within walking distance and was fantastic. We also had lunch at the Black Label Brewing Company, another fantastic restaurant within walking distance behind the hotel. It had several restaurants in the space that is great for families.
I absolutely loved this hotel, location and all that I have come to anticipate when staying at a Best Western Plus. My expectations were exceeded by the entire experience; location, rooms, breakfast, staff. I will definitely stay here again.
This is my first review I have written on tripadvisor and knew that I needed to do so because I was so impressed by the staff. I had a car complication and three ladies at the front desk, Ashley, Merideth, and Bailey, took a significant amount of time out of their schedule to help me, approximately 45 minutes each. They turned a terrible situation which had nothing to do with the hotel or the hotel parking lot, into a much better situation. The hotel was clean, inviting, secure and welcoming especially by the staff. Excellent location and I strongly recommend this hotel. I have traveled around the world and this was the most helpful staff that I have experienced.
Newly remodeled. Very comfortable, roomy. Convenient to downtown Spokane activities, i.e. INB, convention center and numerous resturants and shopping, all within walking distance. The breakfast that is served is a hot breakfast with a good assortment. Good free parking!
This hotel is a step up from most hotels. The staff are exceptionally well trained to look after the guests. We found every one of them to be pleasant and super helpful. We haven't stayed in a best western for years but will be back for sure!!
good servise i like to stay again when i am in this are thank keep up good work. brakfast is good front desk servise is very good. room is clan bed is comfartabel internet speed is good . Lobby seating are good
Always satisfied with the staff and rooms. Employees will go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need, and are enjoying your stay. Pillows are a bit too thick, but excellent otherwise. Location is excellent for business, health care, and entertainment/dining.
First of all I chose Best Western plus downtown because the location was convenient for walking distance to the Spokane Arena which we attended the "G-Eazy" concert. Considering it was downtown our stay included good parking space either in front or you can maneuver in their garage port for parking also. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. Staff were helpful and friendly. Only thing I'd maybe suggest is swap out one the exercise bikes for a second treadmill in the fitness room. But I did get the chance to try a new piece of equipment and it was amazing (photo). Overall I had an excellent stay and would definitely consider reservations here next time I visit the Spokane area.
This hotel has a great location with an easy walk to parks, restaurants and downtown. lots of parking as well Hotel was was clean with friendly staff. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Definitely recommend this hotel. and
The last Best Western in Spokane closed the year we arrived in the USA so we had to stay elsewhere for the following fourteen years. There was no question where we were staying when we saw that a new Best Western PLUS was now available. Absolutely no disappointments following a wonderful first stay from welcome to goodbye. Love the location, accommodation, breakfast and most importantly all the staff we had the pleasure of meeting during this trip. As an additional general note. The undercover garage was a fantastic surprise that was very welcome. It was cool and a little wet when we arrived but we could set our bicycles up under cover and keep them warm, locked up and secure throughout our stay. A massive plus because the very local trails are wonderful and the following three days provided fantastic cycling weather. Not only a new favorite stay location in Spokane but even a comfortable safe location for our bikes, what more can we ask. "Cycle Friendly" a new selling point perhaps? One that confirmed our opinion at the start so we booked our next stay as we checked in. Probably less cycling for that one that is for Pig Out In The Park, Labor Day weekend 2016. Many thanks to Best Western PLUS City Center Spokane. You have new friends.
Perfectly fine stop off hotel in the centre of Spokane. As with all Best Western hotels you know what you are getting. Excellent reception staff who helped us out with several queries. We had a slightly weird room with a jacuzzi gas fire and no desk.
I would not recommend this hotel. The room was below average for cleanliness, the hallways were not vacuumed regularly and there were not enough towels in the room for guests. However, the breakfast that was served was not bad and the rooms were spacious.
Very nice updated rooms. Keurig coffee. Lots to do within walking distance--shopping, coffee bars, River park--the location can't be beat. Breakfast was more than we expected and well kept. Staff was real nice and professional too. Will stay again.
Came to Spokane for my friends birthday, and were playing some QUIET music and playing a card game. Night auditor came to our room to tell us we were being too loud. Okay, we shut our music off and continued on with our game. About 20 minutes later, he calls again saying if we aren't dead quiet , he'll give us an 'excessive noise fee' of $200 and we'll be kicked out of the hotel. The people on the street were louder than us!
I had an amazing experience in Spokane. The hotel had a great breakfast bar that stayed fully stocked, the staff were extremely courteous, and everything was good, good. The location was prime for my trip, and is really close to some awesome restaurants.
The staff was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of smiles and suggestions on places to go and things to do. We were close to shopping, the Spokane Arena and a park for the kids to play at, as well as a number of restaurants. The room was clean and suited our needs.
Couldn't sleep all night . We hear the noise in hall all night. Other guests shouting , swearing , even walking in halls and closing the doors. It feels like the walls are from paper , you can hear the toilet flush in next room. I think what you want from the hotel is good sleep. And in this one you can't sleep at all. Horrible experience. Never gonna stay in this hotel!
Very easy to get off and back on the Interstate. Good eating facilites close by and within walking distance of downtown, Riverside Par, and the Spokane opera House. . Help was courteous. Rooms and bathroom very ncie. .Full breakfast more than adequate. The value was very good.
The room was great, has just the right amount of amenities, very clean and a nice size...great renovation. Their staff are fantastic with customer service and knowledgeable about the area..great area to walk and many good restaurants..great location to the convention centre
Very nice staff, made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful with directions. Complete hotel clean and looks newly remodeled, and comfortable beds. Great place to stay downtown Spokane WA. Was able to walk every were I wanted to go. Stayed here in FEB 2016
Nicely remodeled hotel within walking distance of everything you need downtown. Breakfast attendant was Amazing...! She had to deal with a sports team and navigate in and out and did so with a smile on her face and an great attitude.. Front desk staff friendly.
Staff was great and the property feels like a second home. Breakfast has everything you could desire. The cinnamon rolls are fantastic. The exercise room was perfect for a quick jog. The location works well with restaurants and shopping. Thank you!!! Thank you!!!
My wife and I have used this hotel for our own getaways as well as taking our church youth group to concerts. The staff including desk staff, food service and cleaners have all been cheerful, helpful and accommodating. We brought in 21 teenagers and 5 adults the last time and the staff never even raised an eyebrow. Overall excellent experience.
After being to Spokane many times for business and staying at other hotels, I decided to try the Best Western in Spokane. I'm really happy I did! the hotel is perfectly located in Spokane, close to many restaurants, shopping and a mere 15mins to/from the airport. The hotel is clean, well run and was very well priced (which was a nice change for business travel)... The TV was nice and I even tried the in-room coffee - which worked and was delicious! (Keurig k-cups) I'm hoping to stay here again next time my travels take me to Spokane, WA.
Best Western Plus City Center, Spokane is with in walking distance of anything you want or need. Even REI is close on a sunny day. The closeness to Spokane Falls makes for another nice walk walk through the EXPO park.
A very convenient location and well run hotel in downtown Spokane. The customer service was outstanding; some of the best we have ever encountered. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The fitness center and lobby area were excellent. We would definitely stay here again!
This hotel is always very clean and comfortable and has been updated/redecorated fairly recently. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast, too! Highly recommend the king executive suite.
We were smitten by the warmth of the staff and the updated hotel. The parking is free, the rooms updated, and the location is perfect. The lobby is comfortable and like a family gathering room with fireplace, and breakfast is free each morning with hot coffee available anytime.
Have stayed her many times in past, (used to be a Travelodge). Good location for a stay during the Ag Show and plan to keep coming back. With the in-house breakfast I don't have to find another place for that either. Clean & comfortable without any surprises.
This was my first time staying here. The entry is a bit tricky until you understand the way it works with all the one way streets. Very friendly staff and the hotel was extremely clean. My room was comfortable. The tub didn't hold a seal when I wanted to bathe, but it was clean.
This Motel is a cut above the average motel---The staff in this location is the most professional, courteous, and friendly that I get to work with all year. I've been staying there since the building was built and the first class care and treatment has been there all along. Clean, modern, and close to all the downtown activities. Thank you
This hotel was perfect for my stay in Spokane. It is situated downtown in a perfect place to be able to walk to the mall, the park, and many cool bars and restaurants. Additionally, if offered free parking in the lot or garage. The room is clean, spacious, and very well designed. It has a refrigerator, comfortable bed, good lighting, nice TV with many channels, and lots of free bottled water. The breakfast is great and lasts until 10am on weekends (which is a necessity for me). The gym is small but has very nice equipment and three televisions. Ultimately, I couldn't have asked for a better place for my stay.
The staff took very good care of all our needs during our stay. The boys especially enjoyed the work out facilities and the breakfast. The rooms were clean, the internet worked and overall the experience was very good. The location is terrific!
Dated property, but very well maintained. Nice room, with awesome pillows on the beds. Bathroom was very clean, and hallway carpets were in great shape. Breakfast included eggs and sausage, along with all the usual continental fare, and a bottle of Sriracha to spice it up a bit, as well. Always a nice way to start the day. Within walking distance to many great restaurants and hipster nightclub hang-outs. Nice to have a few and not worry about a designated driver. Friendly staff, unbeatable location, wifi was great, and very secure underground parking. On a busy road, so bring earplugs if that bothers you. We'll stay again, for sure...
The room was very clean and comfortable with extremely helpful staff. The hotel is centrally located within the city to access all areas with quick access to the interstate and within 10 minutes of the airport. Will always pick this hotel to stay in when visiting Spokane.
This hotel has an indoor garage - great for the winter months in Spokane - especially this year. Best breakfast ever - plenty of choices with lots of protein choices. Downtown Spokane is literally outside your door as is Riverwalk Park.
This hotel has a good location near the city center and it was very quiet. The front desk manager, Juli, was terrific. Very pleasant, and helpful. Plus it has an indoor garage so in the winter you don't have to scrap your windows with is very nice.
Very enjoyable experience. No issues other than confusing entrance. Must use navigation to find entrance from busy street. Sidewalks in the vicinity could use better shoveling of snow. Also, the hotel parking lot was not well plowed.
The Best Western Hotel in downtown Spokane was awesome sauce! Very clean, very nice personnel who were extremely helpful! I've stayed at lots of Best Westerns and this is one of the best ones I have been in!
We came to Spokane for the Oak Ridge Boys Concert. We searched nearby hotels and chose our favorite the Best Western. It is located down the street from the Performing Arts Center so we could walk and leave our car at the Hotel very convenient! We were surprised to get a concert discount room rate. The room was very nice, the breakfast was very good, we were very happy and will stay again.
We recently went to Mythbusters event at the iNB Performing Arts Center. This hotel has been remodeled recently, it is like brand new. Plenty of parking, easy access from surrounding streets, despite being at a busy intersection. Rooms were nice, beds were comfy. Ate at the Chili's restaurant across the street. Within 5 minute walk from INB Performing Arts Center. Riverfront Park is within walking distance. Great value and nice clean place to stay! Highly recommend!
We live in a small town 120 miles south of Spokane. Sometimes we are in Spokane for medical reasons and other times it is for pleasure. We have tickets to some of the performances at the INB Center and attend those five times a year. Every trip we make to Spokane we like to stay at the Best Western City Center. The Best Western City Center has everything a person would want. The staff is great from the time you check in until you leave. Meredith makes you feel as though you are family and is always so glad to see you. When you are tired from traveling and stop for the night, that is a great feeling. The Best Western is in a perfect location for pleasure and medical appointments. I just can't imagine a better place to stay and highly recommend the Best Western City Center in Spokane, WA. Stayed for one night while I was in town for a night and was impressed. Comfortable beds, friendly service, free parking and a great free breakfast. Great downtown location. Would love to stay again next time!
We have stayed here quite a few times and have always been pleased. The room was very clean, the staff is friendly and very helpful. It is a great location if you want to shop or see a musical at the INB Performing Arts Center which is only 2 blocks away. We will definitely stay here again.
Comfortable hotel with friendly staff, a great price and so very conveniently located for downtown Spokane shopping and dining. This will definitely be the hotel we stay in from now on when we visit Spokane.
This is a fairly new hotel located near the heart of downtown Spokane. It's close to shopping, dining and entertainment facilities. The rooms are quite large and we've found our stays here quite enjoyable. If you're in Spokane for a concert, sporting event or shopping, this is a very good location, close to all of the above. There are also several good restaurants nearby.
Over all nice hotel, right in the center of things in Spokane. Manager actually knew how to let more than one person pay on bill at check-out. Room very clean, well kept. Great shower soap dispenser, smelled like almonds, left every ones skin very soft. No acknowledgement of Diamond at check-in or with room. Only one gal at breakfast who was having a hard time keeping up. We don't know if someone called in sick or what.
Beautiful rooms, great location, awesome staff, decent prices....& the dogs loved it! Would stay anytime I need a hotel. A+ There are so many restaurants close by to choose from. Nice downtown mall & tons of other local stores in walking distance. Riverfront Park is beautiful. Took the dogs on a long walk through the park. Lots to see. Thank you Best Western for a wonderful stay.
This was our first stay at this B.W. in Spokane and we were thoroughly satisfied. Room was very comfortable as well as the K bed. This hotel is within easy walk to downtown and the local entertainment venues. The famous river walk is a short distance away. We will definitely be back.
This hotel has a great downtown location across from Convention Center and within walking distance of Riverfront Park and Downtown Shopping area. I loved that they didn't charge extra for parking and that we could walk anywhere downtown.
We arivved in Spokane for a relaxing 2 day weekend to visit our family, to do some early Christmas shopping and to attend a show at the INB. Mission accomplished. Hotel was in excellant location for acivities and restuarants .
This was a very nice, clean Best Western. Super friendly staff. One, went way out of her way to help me with a personal matter, very much appreciated. Better than average breakfast. tho no meat. Cinnamon rolls, yum! Centrally located.
The only thing that has changed is the Name! I went this past week on a bus trip with a group of ladies. The last time I had been on this trip it was the Travel lodge..They have done a bit of renovated and little improvements. You still get friendly, helpful service and a great warm breakfast complete with hot waffles. This is a great location for Downtown shopping. There is underground Parking. The workout room is huge! Oh, not to forget, I was delighted to see many "furry friends"!, As I was missing mine! Pet Friendly, could you ask for more?
I generally use Best Western because it is a reliable product. However, in this case, the breakfast was inferior. The eggs were odd, and the bagels were hard, very stale. One that I picked up had something dried on it, as if it had been lifted off someone else's plate the day before. The staff was hot and cold, not necessarily helpful but otherwise pleasant demeanor. The rooms were very nice and the location very convenient. The neighborhood didn't feel safe at night, though.
Excellent breakfast (omelets, sausage, cereal, hot cereal, several different breads and muffins, pastry, waffles, boiled eggs, cottage cheese and peaches) - close to downtown for shopping - close access to I-90 - close to walking along the river. Loved the cozy bedding - large rooms - TV excellent. Everything is right out the door. Bonus - covered and free parking.
This is my place to stay when I'm in Spokane. Near the city center able to leave you car park in their parking facility and enjoy the town. We walk from the hotel to fabulous place around downtown Spokane.
The location of this hotel was ideal for our trip. We walked everywhere--Gonzaga campus, Riverfront Park, a movie at the Riverfront Mall, the walking trail along the Spokane River. There are restaurants on practically every corner. There is a wonderful little market behind the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel were gracious and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was very generous with many options (something for everybody). The fresh cinnamon rolls were delicious! We would definitely return. We got a discounted rate because we were attending the Chinese Lantern Festival in Riverfront Park, so the price was a very good deal.
Our businessman's group toured Spokane for 3 days and we used this hotel as our base. The rooms were nice sized. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were very clean. It looked like they may have recently added new carpet in the hallways and common areas. They were easy to work with. We had our rooms already for us and assigned so all we had to do was hand out the keys. There are a lot restaurants close by as well as the convention center. The breakfast was decent. Most of all the staff was friendly and helpful. This is a good choice if you want to save some money.
Whenever I have the opportunity to stay overnight in Spokane, WA, I stay at the Best Western at City Center. We usually attend the performances at the INB Center and it is a short walk to the center from the hotel. Warm cookies are always waiting for us when we return after the performance. The staff is great, the rooms are clean, and I feel like I am staying with friends. I highly recommend the Best Western.
Everything was A+ here. Good value for your money. And location was perfect if you want to do things downtown. Would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff. Gave us an upgrade because it was my husbands birthday. Breakfast buffet had a lot of selection.
Right downtown in Spokane. The staff were welcoming with terrific customer service. The room was clean and bed firm. We walked to the beautiful downtown park and to a great Italian restaurant. The fitness equipment was really top notch as was the breakfast. A terrific place to stay.
Stayed at Best Western Plus in Spokane City Center and it was very clean, quiet and location is perfect for many restaurants and walking the River Park. Great location, price and we look forward to coming back.
Service was excellent, rooms very comfortable. The staff was excellent. Recommended nice restaurants for dinner within walking distance. Gave good directions to get to freeway. Would highly recommend this facility. Much nicer than rooms & less expensive that we had in Jackson Hole & Yellowstone Pk.
Attended a convention, great location. The breakfast was a blessing to have every morning, I didn't have the time to stop at a restaurant before my workshops. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
We were very happy with this hotel staying in Sept., 2015. We had wonderful caring staff to deal with. The location was great being right downtown as we could walk everywhere from the hotel. The free breakfast was great with, lots to choose from.
Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, easy to access from Division St. Great staff. Free parking. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Walked to the Fox theater from here. Close to Riverfront park and to downtown shopping. Also to Europa for a pleasant Italian dinner. To Madeleine's for coffee and breakfast and to Boots Bakery for take out.
We were attending a convention across the street, and this appeared to be the least expensive option. Room was fine, the breakfast area offered a lot of choices, and we enjoyed our stay. This was a short walk from the Amtrak Station, and we could walk to most everywhere in downtown Spokane. There is a 'community' market nearby, where you can buy snacks to take with you. One minor teeny tiny flaw - the free map was a photocopy of the one used when the hotel had a different name - oh, and sometimes the elevators had to be given a boot, otherwise I would rate it five stars.
Excellent service from the time I made reservations to the checkout day, great quality, great location, close to downtown and all other amenities needed. It is my home away from home hotel. Best all around.
