Best Western Hotell SoderH

We booked this through a holiday site in Sweden which included stay and some meals. We have been pleasantly surprised by the responsive staff, good food and the hygiene during this pandemic. Breakfast and the resturant are especially good. As some of the staff were away during the first day, we experienced some gaps in service. We raised our concern to the manager. There was an immidiate response, apology and we could see the services go up many notches! The chef was especially very engaging and prepared some wonderful dishes for our group. Can certainly recommendation- good staff, clean and facilitaties better than hotels of similar standard.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way back to Stockholm. The hotel is ok , for 1-2 nights stay I would say. It was quite warm during the night if our stay and the room became quite warm and moist , it was unfortunately not a good night sleep for any of us. We were very happy to use the pool as our 1.5 year old loves the water but the pool was 20 degrees so that was unfortunately 15 minutes activity. The personal - reception and breakfast was really nice

Arguably, more motel than hotel, it's a very low building pretty much placed on a retail estate. That said, it gave a great nights sleep in a nicely equipped room. Check went well in rather old fashioned looking reception, a short walk down long corridors found my ground floor room. Big bed, excellent black out curtains and decent bathroom. I would guess dining options are limited in the area, but not to worry. Good food is available at the hotel.

Stayed here with my family for two nights. Super friendly staff, great breakfast, clean, and a nice pool! I loved the fact that the room we stayed in had a bathtub, although I'm not sure if that's standard for all rooms.

The room was small. No AC, but that seems normal in these parts. The breakfast is so good. Everyone is very friendly. I will be back. A bit on the outskirts so more of a walk to town than other places.

I and my woman should holiday for two weeks in Sweden this year. We were reasonably tired when we arrived at the hotel that was booked through Hotel.com. The service was absolutely impeccable with very good service from the staff. The hotel room was in good condition and nice and clean. We ate dinner there before we left and explored the small town in Söderhamn which proved to have good qualities. We will be happy to return another time :-)

Big white brick hotel within walking distance from the small city center and the train station. Lots of roads around the hotel. Fairly quiet in spite of that. This is a good motel, I would say. Excellent breakfast with fresh orange juice, fresh cress, ginger shots etc. There is a small pool in the basement. This is a comfortable place.

Used as a stopover hotel on our way north and exceeded expectations. Close to the motorway but our room was very quiet with the forest just outside the window. Friendly staff, good sized room, comfy bed, bathroom a little dated but perfectly functional, speedy wifi, plenty of easy parking outside. Had a good meal in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. A bit of a walk from the town centre ( we drove and parked easily ) which was pleasant but nothing special and the BW definitely looked liked the best hotel choice. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

A very Well located Hotel situated near train, bus And main Highway. Friendly & courteous staff. Beautiful lobby And spacious restaurant with delicious meals. Spacious, quiet room adjacent The forrest made a restorative sleep. Comfy And clean room.

No problems at all. Good shower, lots of hot water. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Quiet. A bit out of the central core so most destinations are a drive rather than a walk although there is a good restaurant on site. Friendly staff.

I stayed here for one night during a business trip and was pleasantly surprised! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A twin bed comes with a single room but it was comfortable. The service is excellent! Everyone was extremely helpful and attentive. The owner personally served dinner, suggesting local delicacies. Also, there is an extensive breakfast buffet. Overall, I was very impressed with local feel at this quaint hotel!

We spent one night here with our baby in December 2013 and it was a nice experience. The hotel is located right by the highway E4 a bit from the city center. The room was modern but nothing special, the bed was large enough for all 3 of us and comfortable. The bathroom had a bath tub and felt old, no bath products available. The breakfast buffet was very good, a large selection of hot and cold dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There's free wifi and the hotel is enviromentally friendly. Perfect for a stopover or when visiting. There's also a spa and gym but we didnt try it.

The hotel is located about ten minutes walk from the city centre. The surroundings are quite booring, but this budget hotel is good. The staff is professional and very helpful. Rooms are somewhat small., but the beds comfortable. Ask for one of the recently renovated rooms. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety. We did not try the restaurant nor the swimming pool.

It was our second stay at Hotell SöderH and we found it good this time as well. It's exceptional good value if one can book early. You could get away with under 600 SEK for a double if you book really early, we payed 711 SEK for a double which is also very good value for money. OK, rooms are not refurbished and some of the furniture feels a bit tired. But the beds are comfy, rooms clean and bathroom spotless. What else could one ask for that kind of money? Had an evening meal at the restaurant. Pretty good value for money. The only complaint we had was that we were shown to a table that should have been reserved (but wasn't). The manager complained loudly to the waitress about this which was not hard to hear as we sat close by. Felt unprofessional and we offered to move but then it wasn't a problem all of a sudden. Pickering between management and staff should not be done in front of customers. Breakfast was really good with several kinds of freshly baked bread. Nice bonus was the possibility to make fresh orange juice. Overall, very good value for money. Tip to management (if they read TripAdvisor): take your disputes with staff off side and don't let customers hear it. It's very unprofessional.

we spent 4 nights here. As Americans we have not felt this welcomed in a long time. The owner of the hotel was at the desk most nights. this is right off the E4 which was very convenient. We visited the real Sweden by staying here. Many people spoke English and all wanted to help us find the best of the area. Visited Halsingland, Hudiksvall, and Skarsa. Be prepared to spend a lot of money. Gas was 14.50SEK a liter, icecream 650SEK, meals for 200+SEK. for burgers and fries; but the hotel was a good value at a mere $129 USD pernight. The breakfast and internet were both good. the hotel was a value in this extremely expensive environment

Travelling North to Umea the hotel is clearly sign posted from the E4. It was about 21.00 when I checked in. The single room was smelly and not very clean. The wooden floor had black marks all over it and was a little sticky. The floor could do with a good clean or replacing. The single bed was soft and well used. The food and service was average. The cost to stay here with evening meal was around 1800 kr. I gave this hotel a miss on my way back to Skavsta Airport and stayed in a similar located hotel off the E4 (the Scandic Gavle). Similar cost but far superior all round
