i like this hotel in centre of Singen- Everything you need for stay. Very friendly personal, good breakfast, good Internet connection. I arrived late evening, but all was prepared for quick check in.
It was a comfy room and well equipped for our needs. The location was well within walking distance to downtown and we walked a few times to eat and enjoy the city center. I would stay here again if traveling through.
Comfortable room in a quite neighborhood.breakfast was excellent. also enjoyed the city centre where you can find lot's of shops and restaurants. We had a good meal in a small bistro at walking distance
good location near by city center in very quiet area, clean hotel and rooms, tasty breakfast, parking near by hotel on the private parking place, perfect hotel for short stay and business trips. I can recommend
The hotel room was very well maintained and the ambience was very nice. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Highly recommended and the lamm theme was very cute. The location was very calm and nice and not far away from main station and castle.
I stayed 7 nights in the hotel Lamm in Singen. The lady at reception spoke excellent English and was very helpful. The room was clean, fresh and well decorated with a great shower and a super comfortable bed. There is free wifi and our room had a tablet available to use.The hotel is in a quiet part of town yet only 5 mins from the great shopping centre and 10 mins from the train station Thanks for a great stay hope to be back soon.
I use Hotel Lamm every year in april for horse competition close to hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet rooms with all comforts. You can choose between two different types of pillows. There is also the restaurant with classic German dishes, but unfortunately the same menu is repeated every day. Overall a great choice for a stay in Singen. Thank you
The hotel is well located nearby the center. The rate is a bit in the high spot for the surounding. However it was excluding breakfast and hotel parking was at 6€ extra, while itùs free in the street. Ohterwise the room was ok and clean.
The hotel location is quite, room was very comfortable and relaxing. Good for both private and business trip. The hotel reception staff and the restaurant staff are very friendly. I enjoyed my stay for two nights.
The hotel is a recommendation if you are looking for a stay in Singen. The rooms are nice, the staff is friendly and competent. The breakfast is delicious and served in a nice Ambiente. Car parking is available for a sufficient price close by the hotel in the other side of the street
We have got a service over the average. The service related employees are very friendly and solution oriented. The rooms are clean, infrastructure is working well. Maybe to have some Italian channel on the TV would be nice.
This is an old, long established hotel, now a Best Western, but seems to have developed more character with its sheep theme all over, starting with model sheep in reception and sheep popping up in the corridors and all over. Rooms comfortable and adequate. Centrally located.
The hotel is very nice. The rooms are huge and very clean and comfortable. The restaurant and food is very nice. They also have various board games to choose from which you can borrow for free. It is a very cozy atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and go out of their way to help you. I cannot remember the names but each and every one of the staff were very warm, friendly and helpful.
Stayed here for night, because it was closet town before Switzerland. We were planning to visit Rhine Falls, before driver to our next destination. The room was spacious, clean with new furniture. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very well english. The hotel has its private parking plass which is a bonus. The hotel is located right in the senter of the city. Lots of restaurant, gas station were you can buy autopass for driving/using the highway in Switzerland.. Cant say much about the food. I recommend this hotel for passing by or visiting Switzerland for a day. Because it much cheaper and good value for what you're getting..
I cannot praise this hotel enough. If you are looking for a family friendly hotel, this is the epitome of a quality break. The service is second to none, rooms excellent and the little welcoming touches such as a toy lamb for our. Hold and the little rubber ducks, games on the tables in the bar for a family evening and even sun cream in the outdoor areas. The continental breakfast was to die for, the best I have e peri next so highly recommend including this in your package. As a welcome there is hot soup or flavoured water. Scooters available t9 get you around the town, free of charge. Love this place!
We thought the navi was taking us on another wild goose chase down a neighborhood street until we found the hotel. What a comfortable hotel. We were warmly greeted when we entered and felt like they took care of us all the way to check out. The bartender in the restaurant/bar is a great guy. He recommended some great food I probably wouldn't have thought of, and took the time to connect with us. We enjoyed the hotel so much, we hope to return to this hotel in the future.
Stayed one night in Singen which is not exactly an exciting tourist destination but I had a train to catch the next morning. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the train station, but I was on a bicycle so no problem. The comfort double room was spacious and clean. Furnishings new and the bed was great. Bathroom was spacious with amenities. Had a very good night sleep. I didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast but I did catch a bite to eat and a few glasses of wine at the restaurant in evening, which was perfect. The staff were super nice and the secure garage for my bike was a plus. If you have to stay the night in Singen, this is a great place! And the internet was FANTASTIC!
I've tried other hotels in the area but this is the one I will come back to. Very nicely appointed, limited eating options in the hotel but lots of restaurants in easy walking distance. Nice touch is the lamb on the ceiling of the room
You cannot do better in Singen than this hotel. It's quite new, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very nice. I booked a suite, because so much of the time the rooms are tiny in Europe. This suite is the size of an apartment! It's huge! Big living room, big bedroom, big bathroom with both a soaking tub and a large shower. I felt very much at home here for the couple of days that I was here on business. It offers private, gated parking for only 6 Euro a night. The location is convenient to everything in town. The restaurant is very well decorated and offers a well stocked bar. The menu is very limited however, they offer a daily special and not much else. But it's tasty. The breakfast buffet is extremely fresh and offers a wide variety of foods. Definitely add it to your stay, it's worth it. I could not recommend this higher if you are passing through for the night or staying for a week. What a great hotel find!
This hotel is my kind of place; great rooms, quiet, friendly staff, superb/fantastic breakfast buffet, convenient location, parking for a fee, exercise room, excellent artistic decor. Now also fully air conditioned for the summer season (new since my prior stay and review two years ago). Wished I could stay longer.
I've enjoyed my stay at the hotel. the staff was very helpful and friendly. excellent breakfast choices and very clean room. parking was included and that is convenient. its very close to city centre and close to touristic cities
We spent a couple of nights here with our French bulldog and we are very satisfied. Personnel was very nice, rooms very clean, modern, not super big but spacious enough and it is also well located (Singen is not that big anyway). We found really cute that they had a big bed, a blanket and two bowls for our dog when we arrived. A dog costs 10 euro extra per night. I totally recommend it.
I was in Singen for Business during Carnival and, at top of that, in San Valentino week. The hotel staff have given an example how much details are important for them. Each space, from every single room till the elevator, were decorated with hundreds of red hearts. Impressive!!! Great Work My room was clean and tidy. Great housekeeping service. Aisles and some areas were under maintenance, but it has not been an issue at all. Fitness room (very useful for running when outside temperature is -6°C) available for free. Also a Spa is available, but I miss it, because iit would be charged on my room and, at top of that, I did not find spare time to go. If you have to stay in Singen, this is a very good a comfortable choice
BWL is in walking distance from the train station. It's more quiet than HIE and it's possible to have a small meal there as well. The rooms are nice and comfortable however smaller than average. Service level is good and this hotel as preferred compared to HIE.
We stayed at the hotel for a weekend retreat. The hotel staff was always succeeding every demand we had and genuinely made our stay very worthwhile! Very much looking forward to being back next summer!
Stayed here for one night as a stop-over. Extremely friendly staff... lady at reception was very efficient and to the point. Barman very friendly when we ordered a drink on the terras. Great breakfast in the morning and again very friendly staff. One negative point... rooms are somewhat small.
Although all other aspects of the hotel are admirable, I cannot stay here again. We visited on a day when it was 31Celcius(86 deg F) and the room was just too uncomfortable. It is quite rare to find a hotel without air conditioning in Europe.. In addition, their log-on system for the Wi-Fi is unstable, so I needed to log back in every 15 minutes. Sorry to give a bad review, but I feel the hotel comes up short in these 2 area which are important for me.
This hotel has been excellently and tastefully renovated recently. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff is super courteous. The breakfast is a feast, catering to a broad range of tastes. The convenient parking is across the street at a reasonable extra charge. Beware that there is no air conditioning, which is not uncommon in Europe. Instead, each room has a euro style window and a security shutter for evening ventilation -- and the nights are cool.
The hotel was very nice and comfortable. It does have a kettle which is great for making a cup of coffee or tea . Need to pay for secure parking ( Eur$6/- ) whiich was ok I guess. There is street parking if you can find it.
I stayed only 4 days but I liked it very much. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and comfort rooms. The Internet stable and fast. I've also had breakfast that was very rich, especially in the price they offer it! There is option to pay for a safer parking If you don't want to park in the area, which btw looks very safe and quiet. I am going to book to them every time I will be visiting the customer in the future.
It's mainly a business hotel, well located in the town centre. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and comfy room, very quiet at night. Plenty of choices for breakfast, cappuccino is very good also for italian standards. At night there's also free soup at the reception. Recommended.
Egencia made a mistake on my room reservation so I ended up with a single room. When I went back down to reception to enquire, the friendly person on the desk offered me a double at no extra cost. The next morning was my birthday, and the waitress brought me a cupcake with a candle in it to my table along with a birthday card. It was a lovely way to start the day! The rooms are also clean and well kept, this is a great place to stay.
i had a wonderful stay at the hotel, service was very warm and welcoming, always willing to help. hotel restaurant has good food at good value. rooms are comfortable at BEST WESTERN standards. would definitively stay again if in town.
Very nice hotel, located 10 minutes from the city center. Interior of the hotel renovated, tidy everywhere. Very nice and helpful service at the lobby. I liked the breakfast. If you stay there for couple of days I recomend a lot.
Easy to find. Free parking on street, but we opted to pay the 6 euros for their car park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfort room had and large bed sofa, two easy chairs a desk and a small table. There was (most unusually) tea and coffee facilities in the room. The restaurant was small but the food (whilst not exactly cheap) was really tasty and well presented I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Not a great value- room so small, the open window blocked access to the bed. No air conditioning, so window had to be open! Breakfast was decent. Friendly employees. Room was clean; bathroom nicely appointed but small. Convenient parking across the street for modest fee.
Small but very comfortable Hotel, ideal for business with reliable WiFi, good lighting, work space, power points, shower and bottled water. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet and Breakfast was excellent. The staff outstanding.
We stayed at the BW Hotel Lamm in Singen as a back-up plan for a disappointing campsite. We were only there one night but we were very pleased with the service. Very reasonable price and a late open bar was most appreciated. The room was a spacious double with the two single duvets (normal in Germany). Breakfast was varied (cereal, fruit, a cooked 'English', cold meats, cheese and a selection of breads). The juice selection was extensive and much enjoyed. If you find yourself in Singen I would recommend the BW over the Holiday Inn which was more expensive and full of business people. The BW was more 'seasoned travelers'.
Recently I selected a Best Western Hotel Site in Germany close to the location wherein I was working. I found the location close to the Rail Station (direct and a short walk). The staff were accommodating and helpful. The service was friendly and welcoming. It would definitely be a hotel to return to if I were working again in that area.
The room itself is very small and does not have A/C, and the flatscreen TV (with only German channels) is far to big for that room. The bathroom is of good size with the basic features one would expect, and, finally, with good water pressure. There is no mini bar in the room, and the pillows are on the uncomfortable side. The hotel offers free parking in a dedicated parking lot across the street. Check-out time is 11am which is very inconvenient when you are on a holiday.
since my husband does business with a firm in singen we have been staying at the hotel lamm off and on for many years.the hotel is always clean, the staff is always very friendly.as a matter of fact this time we arrived a day early and they were fully booked. they helped us find another hotel in engen for one night. the hotel has a free parking lot across the street. their breakfast buffet was delicious. the hotel is located to the downtown shopping area with plenty of restaurants available. they also have their own restaurant, which we did not try. over the years they have constantly updated and modernized the hotel. when we return to singer, the hotel lamm is the hotel of choice to stay.
We reached the hotel on a friday late in the evening. The staff were very friendly, the rooms clean and well done. Singen is a quiet place and this hotel too tends to be a very quiet and peaceful place. They have a small book collection at the corridor in every floor. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and was being constantly refilled until the last few minutes. And the hotel has its own free car parking, If that is fulll, it is easy to find a parking space nearby. Overall Quite good!! No complaints..
I arrived late at night (gone Midnight) from Zurich Airport. I had to get to Friedenshaffen in the morning and Singen was pretty much half way. I tried to park my car at the Hotel car park opposite to the Hotel, but there was no space…and I ended up parking on the street. I checked into the Hotel, and within a few minutes was in my room. The Bed was quite large, there was a 42 inch TV, but overall, the room was pretty small and nothing special (it was clean though). There were no free toiletries in the bathroom, except for wall units of Shower gel/shampoo. The Shower was good and powerful. The Wifi was a pain as well. I got blocked as soon as I connected…..it said that I was using a File sharing program and that I should contact reception. In the end…I just connected to my mobile. The bed was comfy. TV consisted of 50 channels in German…and nothing else. Breakfast …I had in my room. Checkout was pretty straightforward. When I got to my car, 2 old people leaned out of their windows and shouted at me. One of them said I mustn't park there and the other said if I stay any longer I will get a ticket from a traffic warden. Summary – Not cheap, bed was alright. Would I go again? Probably not.
Nice and clean room, friendly hotel staff, wifi and car parking included. In the reception the lady invited us to play the guessing game, how many shells are on the table. When entering the room there was the sweetest little furry lamb to greet us as a complimentary present! As the weather was very hot that day and there was no air conditioning in the room, we found the portable fan from the closet. Great place to stay!
To find easy to park convenient location friendly staff up to date amenities, modern bedrooms to a good standard everything works everything is clean, simple fare with interesting menus, excellent breakfast, ideal for the business traveller there is nothing not to like they perform a great job in a friendly professional manner.
Singen is a nice town close to Swizerland and Lake Constance. Hotel Lamm is what you can expect from a a better Best Western affiliate: clean, practical, priced fairly, without any surprises, good or bad. If that is waht you are after, then take it as a recommendation. Of course, as in all German hotels, beds are fitted with a quilt too small to cover any human body during the night. But that is cultural, rather than a weakness from this specific hotel.
I stayed for one night in November. The room was large and comfortable. The power shower was also very nice. One thing that could improve the room though would be to have kettle making facilities otherwise there are no complaints. The bar staff were lovely and very friendly and I enjoyed a few beers! I also had breakfast the next day which was good value and tasty. As other people have said, there are lots of little touches throughout the hotel which I liked- soup at reception, games in the bar etc. The location was good, only about 5 mins walk from the centre. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
Stayed there three nights in a row as part of a business trip. The hotel is easy to find and benefits from a free parking across the street. Rooms are modern and well kept. Although I was in front of the elevator, I found the room quiet enough (but don't hesitate to ask for another room as this is really not ideal). Friendliness of staff is really what makes the place different: everybody we met was simply lovely, friendly and cheerful. What a pleasure. The restaurant is the downside: really not much into it adn the city surely has better places to offer (we used it every night as our work days were long and we were a bit lazy I have to admit!...). The one thing we found pretty unacceptable was that we were refused a jug of tap water while having dinner... How can this be??? And it's not like we were going cheap: we had a few beers from the bar. This was a bit ridiculous... Apprently it is "Management's Policy"! Anyway, clearly a good hotel to stay in the area, for business or for tourism (Constance Lake is just nearby).
