Best Western Paint Pony Lodge

We had stayed here years ago when they allowed dogs, and we had one. But they stopped allowing dogs, and we no longer have one so we stayed here. It was excellent! We'd stay there again anytime. And it's right next door to a wonderful Restaurant. The room is very large, and quiet.

The facility is clean, spacious, quiet and centrally located. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is quite good. Breakfast buffet is really nice, an unexpected surprise. Room was quiet with comfortable king-size bed. Overall a nice plave to stay.

The room is the cleanest I've ever stayed at. We walked in and the beds were perfectly made and the carpet looks new. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom looked spotless and the shower literally looked like it was never used. Each towel was folded neatly which shows the small details matter too! The price of the room was very reasonable. So glad we decided to stay there.

So far, the best hotel in the Showlow area! The location is great, in walking distance of great food locations. The park is nearby. The parking lot is lighted and under security watch, only hotel location like this!

Never had to pay "early check in fee" before. Does BW give discount when room is not ready at check in time? To me this was a big negative! Breakfast not as good as other BWs. Room was very good and clean.

If you are staying in Pinetop/Lakeside/Showlow, make sure to check this Best Western out. From check-in to check-out, we felt appreciated and the rooms are exceptionally clean and staff were some of the best I have experienced in all my years traveling.

Room smelled like a cigar lounge. The Internet did not work and the sheets smelled like they did not wash them. I tried everything to reset the Internet but nothing worked. They didn't have any other rooms available to give me and they said the Internet works fine it must be your device.

Front desk was prompt and very friendly checking in, rooms were clean, breakfast was ok normal free hotel breakfast, it satisfied us. Wonderful location for what we wanted to do or see. The best part was location for 4th of July parade, reserve seating for guests right in front of hotel, and you could see the fireworks at high school out front that night without the crowd and traffic. WONDERFUL stay

We enjoy staying at the Best Western Paint Pony in Show Low because it is conveniently located to all the activities in both Show Low and Lakeside have to offer. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bathrooms have large countertops, which is helpful when there are two people staying in the room. We are building a home in Torreon and the Best Western Paint Pony is down the street, which makes it a very convenient place to stay when we come up to check on the progress of our new build.

The rooms were nice staff was nice.the breakfast was nice. It's quiet. downtown was close. The pillows were fluffy and more than enough. Bed was firm. Showers were nice and the towels were good. The wifi I did have to sign in a few times. However I don't think that's a hotel issue, I think it's on a mountain and you should expect it.

This facility is well-maintained, clean, and has a friendly and helpful staff. It was more modern than I anticipated that it would be, and I have no problem recommending it. We also liked the peacefulness of our room in the back building, as we did not hear any traffic overnight.

Great place to stay. Service was exceptional. Great location. Rooms were nice and clean. Amneties were great. Breakfast was exceptional. Staff were very helpful when I needed anything. Overall this was a great expierience.

I have traveled through Show Low on business occasionally but this was my first time staying at this particular entity and it will now be my "go-to" hotel in this area (even though I'm a Diamond Member at a different brand that has an offering in this area). The room was SUPER spacious, cleaned IMMACULATELY, bed and pillows were in the top 10% of all of my lifetime hotel stays, the fireplace room was a welcome bonus to relax with dinner and more work to be done online remotely after a 12 hour day of a combination of driving and being in front of clients. The reception area (also the breakfast area), although detached from the actual accomodations, is incredibly cozy and welcoming and the front desk staff both in the evening and again in the morning were also kind and accommodating (wish I had caught their names)! I honestly haven't had a better experience in this area and will be happy to give them my business in the future.

Started check in with a lovely front desk person. Friendly, helpful and offered us cookies. Assigned a king room, corner, ground floor. So nice and spacious! Whoever they have cleaning should get a raise. Room in every aspect was spotless and welcoming. Even the corners and behind the door in the bathroom. Amazing job. Great lighting, desk and an extra chair with foot stool. Bath tub is new and clean, I actually took a bath. Towels were plentiful and fluffy. Fan worked in the toilet area which was a bonus. Many chains have removed or unhooked their vent fans. Tv is good, lots of channel choices. Just wished all remotes had sleep buttons. Bed is quite firm for those who appreciate that. Unfortunately I love squishy. I was pleased with the super fluffy, king pillows. Came with a generous 4. With a few more I would have made them my bed. Overall a great stay and I felt we got what we deserved for our money.

Room was huge! Comfortable beds, large bathroom counter, Good wifi other than making me sign in repeatedly, again and again, even minutes later! TV had good selection but on a smaller TV. Parked in front of the door which I love for ease in unloading (1st floor only of course.) Breakfast was below average. Scrambled eggs inedible. At least there were yogurts & fruit, breads.

Everyone was friendly and made us feel right at home. The grounds and the room were immaculate. The bed was so comfortable, we felt like we were home. I definitely recommend this hotel to others. I know that we will stay there again.

This hotel is a great place to stay in Showlow AZ. Very polite and professional people that operate this hotel, but when eating the complimentary breakfast, that topped the stay. We have all had those biscuits that are floured hockey pucks, but when I picked up the biscuit to put on my plate, it separated in half because it was soft and tender and didn't need a pint of gravy to make it chewable. Compliments to the chef!

We spent one night in a room with two queen beds. We had four adults and were not charged extra. The price was very reasonable compared to others in the area, especially with a AAA discount. The room was modern, clean, and spacious. The Wi-Fi was good and there was enough parking, in well-lit areas. The room was bright, and it had lots of electrical plugs. The free breakfast in the morning was continuously restocked and had a good variety of carbs and protein foods. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Show Low is the largest town in the region and has a good selection of restaurants and stores. The major streets were all in good condition. This hotel is a good base for touring the area.

I like the location, and the restaurant right next door is also excellent. The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. I have stayed here many times, and will continue to stay here if I am passing through.

The check in clerk was very amenable. The room was clean and well equipped, everything worked as it should. We didn't sample the breakfast. We were about 30 minutes late for check out and were treated very poorly by the desk clerk on duty . (different clerk from the day before). she acted like we were criminals trying to con our way back into the room.

Spent one night at the Paint Pony and staff was nice upon check in and when requested we gladly received a bottom floor room due to a hip issue with a member of our party. The rooms are large, clean and have nice amenities. The continental breakfast in the morning is very adequate with eggs, meat choice, pancakes, etc. it was hot and plentiful. Absolute only downside is that the beds are very hard!

I was pretty skeptical of staying in a motel, but this is by far the nicest one I've seen. I was very impressed with it. It was better than most hotels I stay in. The Paint Pony Lodge will now be part of our trip.

While traveling on business I booked a reservation with Best Western in Show Low AZ- the service I received was EXCELLENT- The room was immaculate and quiet!! I felt the employees to be VERY GENUINE. There was nothing superficial about my stay. I was traveling for business and if other stays were as good as Best Western Show Low I would forever be grateful.. THANK YOU TO THE TEAM THAT MADE MY STAY A PLEASANT ONE....HAPPY FEET

We highly recommend the Best Western Paint Pony Lodge in Show Low Arizona. The rooms are updated, spacious and very clean. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It is confidently located on the Duce of Clubs, which is the Main Street through town.

Great place to stay, the front staff were excellent. The rooms were clean, spacious with comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast was great with fresh coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

Large comfortable rooms. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very clean. Right across from Safeway so easy to buy groceries. It's also right next door to licanos Mexican restaurant which has very good Mexican food. Licanos is a must if in show low.

It's not a bad place. Our cell phones didn't work from that area so I'm glad the Wi-Fi did. We stay at a lot of Best Westerns and this is pretty much middle-of-the road. Coffee was available anytime and the hot breakfast was okay. They seem fairly strict about wearing masks and the breakfast reminded me just a little of military style.

My wife and I always stay here when traveling through Albuquerque and have always had a great experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is close to the freeway and old town. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool and gym are in great condition and always clean. The restaurant serves good food and cocktails.

Last minute trip. Couldn't find a deal anywhere. Changed destination and found this deal. Have stayed there before a few years ago. Clean, comfortable. ShowLow is a nice place to hang out for a weekend

My wife and I traveled from Oregon to Arizona to pick up some pets left homeless after the death of their owner. We arrived at the BW a bit later than expected and the lady at rhe front desk greeted us and checked us in quickly and with a smile. The rooms were recently redone and looked nice and were very clean. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was simple but hot and satisfying. If you're ever in the area this is the place to stay.

A three day chaotic stay. Arrived on time, entering the broken up driveway cautiously because of uneven repair in progress. Checked into room and immediately discovered ceiling panels had been poorly replaced because of large water leak from second floor room. Musty smell! Decided to tough it out. Turned on air conditioner which sounded like a large diesel truck when on. Went to bed and then the drag racing began out in front of our room. Very little sleep. The next day went to breakfast and were served compacted, prepared eggs (no seasoning) and two sausage patties, also from freezer. Biscuit was also from freezer. Everything was served on styrofoam containers with lightweight plastic foodware and bagged with plastic. Environmentally ignorant!!! Bedsheets were stained as well. This hotel was recommended to us by our family because it was a Best Western however, this Best Western did not come up to those standards. Very disappointed!

The hotel was very easy to find and is right next door to a good restaurant. The property and our room were very clean and neat! The bed was comfortable. The desk area was just right for our laptop. We liked and greatly appreciated that the sink and vanity were next to rather than inside the bathroom. On another positive note, Best Western is rewarding its guests with gift cards which are easily applied to future stays. I was able to apply two cards to the cost of my stay. :-)

Many hotels are pretty clean, but Best Western Painted Pony was completely clean!!! The staff were kind and helpful. They gave me a gluten free cookie upon check in to welcome me. The had free wifi that worked well and a hot breakfast. I missed the breakfast because I was sleeping in on the super comfy bed I was given.

The Paint Pony is by far our favorite place to stay. We have stayed here the past 4 years when in Show Low. It is a good location, close to restaurants and very quiet. The staff is very friendly and they take all measures of cleanliness. We had a King bed and the room was quite large. I highly recommend the Paint Pony if you are in this area.

The staff at this hotel is the reason we are loyal and frequent guests. Any problem that arises is dealt with a "can do" attitude. "Leaving early before breakfast, no problem, let's give you some packaged food the night before". etc. Want a specific room? They'll make every effort to reserve it for you. Need an extra blanket? No problem. Clean and safe. Love having the fridge and microwave for leftovers when we're on the road.

I stayed at the Paint Pony Lodge for 4 nights in August 2021. It's an average motel. While the lobby has been nicely renovated, my room was subpar. The bed was not very supportive, the shower was old with barely hot water, and the vanity sink stopper didn't work very well. My biggest complaint is the loud highway noise that comes through the windows and door, especially in the morning. The air conditioner was very loud when it kicked in. Overall, the lodge is an average motel with really friendly staff, but I found it to be below my typical desires for a motel experience. I also did not appreciate the manager calling me after I completed my Best Western email/web survey to whine about my review ratings and dismiss my assessment. The Manager told me that maybe the Paint Pony Lodge wasn't for me, and I agree.

We arrived at this hotel tired and stressed out, after having to leave a BW hotel in Eager AZ because our room there was neither ADA accessible or non-smoking. The room was spacious, clean and accessible, with a dedicated parking space ten feet from the door!

Clean rooms, caring staff, a great experience!!!! Thank you!!! Would highly recommend this place! The biscuits and gravy were pretty dang good too! Nicely done Show Low Paint and Pony and staff members!

This was our 2nd time staying here and was just as pleasant as the first time. Perfect location. Staff always pleasant, check in and out quick and easy. Nice to have a hot breakfast and good coffee, not just cereal and donuts.

Clean rooms,, no USB ports for charging, location is good,, it is near groceries,, resteraunts,, bars,, and other amenities. I did notice that several people in the hotel were carrying side arms (did not feel safe with this).

The staff was amazing! Everyone one of them we encountered!! The room was super clean! Super quite area as well! Room suite was nice with extra room! Would definitely stay at again if traveling to the area!

Had a one time stay for work , last minute. It was fast a easy to check in and out. I had to book while on my way. Room was clean and breakfast was offered. Good rate for everything offered. Staff was really friendly.

This hotel doesn't have much character, but it was clean and comfortable and they did a reasonable job with the packaged breakfast. Pretty good value for money. Although on the main road, it was quiet.

Location, Clean & Friendly - the trifecta for traveling with your pup! I am all about a five star rating for lodging that is people AND pet friendly and CLEAN. The staff at every encounter were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The lobby was clean and very nicely decorated. They had a window for maskless check-in, but were following pandemic safety protocols in the lobby which I appreciated very much. The room we were put in was 117 and on a corner which was great as right there were some trees and an area to walk the dog. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a microwave and small fridge. It appeared that they had recently updated the room. I would absolutely stay here again. The daily pet fee of $20 was very reasonable.

When we first pulled up to the hotel I was very worried I had booked the wrong place. The front building is not very attractive and looks like a normal motel. Thankfully we booked the building in back with the fireplaces and the room was lovely. We made use of the fireplace while relaxing in the room after dinner and it was a perfect, serene setting! The gal at the front desk was trying to leave for the day as we came to check in - terrible experience hearing her audibly sigh as we came in - if she hadn't told us she was leaving for the day I would have never known and had been fine waiting in line for the next associate. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

This Best Western outperforms many higher end brands I have stayed at. The service was impeccable; very friendly staff. Extremely clean room and Lobby. Excellent process for breakfast. Ample parking! Great comfort!. This hotel is truly a little Gem in town. Thank you for making this one of our most comfortable nights this week!!

The hotel was perfect for my overnight stop returning to New Mexico from Mesa, AZ Check-in was easy even with Covid guidelines and the breakfast options were fine. There's an Arby's and a grocery store right across the street and a Mexican/steakhouse restaurant next door which affords the visitor everything he or she needs in close proximity.

We stayed for one night on Christmas after seeing family. The room was comfortable, and we brought our 4 month old puppy who did so well and there was a nice area close by for him to do his business. The breakfast was great for the current situation with COVID. We will definitely stay here again!

This place is so cozy and nice. I look forward to every stay! The lobby is so inviting with a beautiful fireplace. The rooms are nice and clean. Its so perfect when it's cold outside in Show Low!! And you can walk to some great restaurants!

We are traveling across the USA, stayed in several hotels this was the best place we've stayed. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The rooms were nice size and the bed was very comfortable. Made to order breakfast is something new at a hotel, coved has changed a lot of things.

The room was very clean and the asthetics were nice. The bed was very hard and the sheets and towels were scratchy. The breakfast was disappointing compared to other Best Westerns we've stayed at. Was not a hot breakfast as described. Overall a good place, but the little comforts aren't there.

Check in was easy. Front desk was acomidating when I needed to change rooms initially. It was great to have a frig in the room. Hotel and rooms were clean. We traveled with a pet and there was a pet area for the dog which was nice.

The room was very dated and had a horrible odor. The room was clean but the bedding was scratchy and uncomfortable. The staff was friendly but instructed to have no makeup service due to Covid. Would definitely not stay here again.

When you call in 48 hours in advance and state that only 3 of the 4 adults were staying, you would think that there would be a slight change in price. Not at Best Western Painted Pony in Show Low Arizona. While checking in I inquired again and the desk clerk stated no change in price. Other than that the rooms are decent for a older motel. But with covid19 happening the free breakfast is off the list, no swimming. But again the rooms are good, bed was good or I was really tired, but I slept well.

With all the issues going on in the world right now this was a wonderful place to relax. All things went smoothly and we felt safe. I love the dog park in the back as we had our dog with us. The hotel is quiet also he didn't once bark at outside noise.

We picked this place, too cool off for the night before returning to Phoenix on our return to Arizona from a road trip to Wisconsin. Although the lobby was closed we were able to get checked in through a window in the lobby area. Not a bad experience and the staff was helpful with dinner suggestions. We were within a short walking distance to three restaurants. Breakfast was given through the same window along with coffee. Beds comfy and room clean. Much better than our last hotel we had in Montrose.

Best Western always offers a good value. The hotel is nice, outside facing doors. Fixing see the lobby due to covid. Check in and out was via a 6 inch late check in window, which was different, but the staff was still very pleasant. There was no cleaning service during the stay again due to covid, which we weren't told at check u, but understandable. Very close to restaurants. Checkout Fools Hollow lake! A good time very close.

I stayed two nights during the COVID-19 pandemic. Understandably there was no breakfast served, but I was offered a bag breakfast which I declined. There was also no housekeeping during my stay, but since it was just me and there were plenty of towels available it didn't really matter. The hotel is nothing fancy but it was clean and close to the venue that brought me to Show Low.

Had to wait two hours for my check in and didnt get the room I specifically asked for with a fireplace but yet the whole hotel was completely empty on a monday. No breakfast offered. No pool. TV remote didnt work. Pillows and bed are terrible. Worst night of sleep of my life because ac was so loud and everytime it turned off it made the door rattle like someone was coming in your room and woke me up every 30 mins. Dont recommend if you want to sleep.

The hotel was very clean and the service was very friendly. Best place in ShowLow,AZ We travel often and will not stay in another chain. We travel with two small dogs and have never had a problem. Great pet accommodations.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last 4 years, always clean and service has always been great. With the issues of covid 19 at this time I am impressed how things were handled. We are planning on going again soon.

Stayed just one night for a meeting I had in the area. The front staff was helpful and provided me internet access when I arrived well before check in so I could work comfortably from the lobby. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel for business or vacation travel.

Very clean and neat with a very helpful and friendly staff, a parking lot very easy to Maneuver even with a large truck with a trailer not for 18 wheelers though however there is a larger parking lot next door

Very friendly and helpful staff. Spotless room. Breakfast was delicious and nice area to have a meal. Close to all the areas you might go to see, mountains, downtown, shops, lakes. This hotel goes out its way to make your stay a good experience.

This is an exceptional hotel. Great professional employees. They appear to like and care about people. Breakfast are exceptional and homemade. My husband had major shouldn't surgery. At check in the woman offered to help us get settled It doesn't get any better than that.

Bathroom dirty. TV remote barely working. No staff at counter or in building at check in and check out. Internet did not work when asked at front desk was rebooted but then stopped working again shortly after the front desk reboot. Laundry room locked during hours marked on door as open so had to get front desk to come unlock the room. Heat in room was not working properly would come on and overheat the room then shut off and the room would become very cool.No food put out to accommodate the crowded breakfast guests.Was informed that they were understaffed due to weather so could not help guests.

It had been awhile since we stayed here and I am glad we decided to stay overnight instead of driving home at night going thru Salt River Canyon Pass. Everyone and everything was perfect and we slept very well.

This is one of the BEST Best Westerns I've stayed in. The room was large, spotless and the bedding was wonderful. The breakfast was very good. I appreciated the dining area attendant watching that all was perfect.

Stayed two nights on a road trip; personnel were excellent and aimed to please. Suprisingly quiet on the traffic side of the building (front). A/C unit in room a bit noisy. Room was clean and organized. Towels were rough and scratchy and could use an upgrade. However, everything was sparkling clean. Also, a convienant location with Safeway accross the street .We would stay there again.

Very Nice place to stay .. We went up to Showlow to get away for the weekend ,,& the staff was very friendly .. There was fresh Coffee & Homemade Cookies .. We where on the Bottom Level .Next to Ice Machine ,,And Never heard any thing ,, Breakfast was Good ,, and check out was fast & Friendly .Staff . Location was right next to Road Easy to find ,, We will be staying there again soon .

Beautiful lobby area, and the room was fresh and clean. They were doing some resurfacing in the parking lot while we were there, so a minor inconvenience. Had breakfast outside and it was beautiful. In the early morning we could walk around the area and enjoy the scenery.

This hotel has Friendly staff people are always welcoming they make check in and check out extremely easy, the rooms are clean, Breakfast is always kept somebody you're always helping taking care of making sure the kitchen is clean with clean.

I've been staying here for the last year on business, the staff is very friendly and very dependable as I have left valuable items with the hotel several times for my other coworkers to pick up and drop off. My room is always clean and the decor is nice.I always see the hotel maintenance making repairs or upgrades. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Show Low. Paint Pony Lodge is A+

The room was immaculate, the fixtures in the bathroom sparkling. Cookies in the lobby while checking in was a mice touch. Check in staff was so friendly and helpful. Reasonable rates and the breakfast was very good.

We have stayed at The Paint Pony before and always have enjoyed the comfort, amenities, friendly staff. The room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Every thing worked. A restful night after a long day. A good breakfast to start the day is always enjoyable and BW does it right.

Liked the clean rooms and the dedicated staff that are very helpful. I am a business travel and stubborn on my own pillow, but this room has comfort. A recommended stay. There is something for everyone at breakfast: healthy and yummy.

The hotel was not flattering on the outside. The inside of the room was really nice. They offered a great military discount. We had a huge flying bug in our room. Our AC didn't cool. Probably because the room was sp huge. The eggs in the breakfast were powdered, but the rest was ok. It was ok for what I paid. I wouldn't pay full price.

Very nice facility, friendly staff, convenient location. We were there while on a motorcycle run and as a group appreciated the very nice breakfast. The quick check-in was also appreciated after a day of riding!

It had been a long time since I had been at this hotel. Very nice, clean, rooms and staff was amazing to deal with. The restaurant next door was great also, great selection. Location of hotel is in the center of everything. I will be coming back, with the family this time.

Our group booked 7 or 8 rooms. We arrived on the 7/3 to participate in the parade. Arrived very early not expecting rooms to be ready, but some of them were. Staff worked to get everyone in ASAP. Got our request for ground floor in rear building. Had cookies in the lobby at check in. Gave us Motorcycle wash towels and provided a bike washing area. King room was large and roomy. Clean and no smells. I prefer vinyl or laminate floor to carpet but it seemed clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, rolls, and many cold items.

We were here for 1 night and would return. Nice rooms, handy to everything, nice Mexican restaurant next door. Back off the busy street enough that we did not hear the traffic. Hot breakfast and cookies and coffee in the lobby were nice.

Nice clean room's with comfortable beds. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. It was nice to see the young girl who was working at check in taking so much pride in her job and being such excellent ambassador for the hotel.

We tried other less expensive places but came back here. Best value hands down. We are purchasing a home in Show Low and having a good place to spend a night or two during the process was important to us

The property is neat and tidy outside. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The A/C-heater unit was loud and produced multiple high pitched squeaks when the unit clicked off. The bathroom fan was also loud and on the same switch with the bath light. We heard everyone that walked by our door in the outside corridor. All of the doors open to the outside. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs. None of us had any, so can't speak to that. The price was AAA rate at $130.49 + a $20 pet fee.

All went very well, the restaurant next door has live bands and GREAT food. Prime Rib is to kill for !!! Licanos is next door just walk over and your in the door. The show low BBQ rocks and the Gun Show at the elks club was the best, u really need to check out the TRUMP store!! TRUMP !!

There isn't any part of this hotel that you won't like. The staff are friendly and accommodating The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast is more than expected. Great location in order to enjoy all of Showlow. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Much nicer than many hotels we have stayed at over the past few years. It's an older hotel that is completely updated and done tastefully. The rooms are really clean and large. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. We will stay at this hotel again soon when we are in the area. Stayed afterward at a more expensive hotel in Flagstaff that was not nearly as nice at this Best Western in Show Low, AZ.

This is actually a MOTEL! You park outside your door. The room was clean and nicely decorated, but had that motel smell. The temp was difficult to regulate, so I found myself out of the covers...then under the covers...throughout the night. The breakfast was good...traditional continental breakfast with some hot items, cereal and pastries. I feel over $100 for a motel is too pricey! I'm a loyal Platinum BW member but I will be staying at a different hotel next time.

Stayed three nights. Hotel is older and very ordinary. Access to all rooms is from the outside. Room was clean but nothing special for $120+ per night. Same with the free breakfast. Towels, sheets and toiletries are not changed unless requested to aid the environment. Staff was cordial and professional.

This was a quick one night stay on our way from Phoenix to Texas. We arrived late in the evening and did not have any problems with check in. We were in the front of the complex on the second floor. We carry a small fan with us to eliminate hearing any road noise so our sleep was perfect. Bathroom was clean and carpet was clean along with perfectly white linens. Easy access to vending machines and breakfast was a standard hot breakfast with lots of selections. If I'm ever back in Show Low this is where I will stay!

This hotel was reasonably priced and the room one of the most spacious I have stayed in. Workers also very pleasant. My only complaint would be the breakfast area is very small, just four tables. Not a problem during our stay but might be during high season.

A great place to stay in a beautiful town! Everyone was very nice and the place is very comfortable. The lobby is so cozy with the fireplace! It's a beautiful location and close to restaurants too! I love the art work in the room too!

After a train wreck of a check in accross the street at Days Inn we cancalled our reservation and walked accross the street to Best Western. Front Desk was amazing they made room for us in a sold out weekend on a Friday night! The room was nice, clean and very comfortable. Super quite and it was nice to walk the grounds at night with the smell of pine trees right outside your room. Breakfast was fresh and filling and no charge! Hotel was a few mins from the lake and right on the main street. Check out was smooth. Would rebook in a heartbeat nice get away from the city heat of Phoenix!

This Best Western is centrally located on the main drag of Show Low. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-appointed. This is an older motel so all the rooms have outside entrances. We were towing a 37 foot travel trailer and we were able to park it on the lot. They also have an adjacent lot for RVs if needed that they told us was security patrolled hourly. A breakfast buffet is provided but I didn't partake. We always request a king room on the top floor but this motel does not allow pets on the top floor and no king beds are available in pet friendly rooms. There is also a $20.00 fee/pet. The person who took our reservation mistakenly made it for wrong date but we had no trouble checking in - fortunately the motel was not very full. Bathroom was very clean and the towels were a nice size and thick. Good water pressure in the shower.

This is a very nice hotel. We had a big king room in the back building to avoid road noise. The check in was was easy and the young woman was very helpful. In all, I wish all motels were this comfortable to stay in.

We stayed there this weekend. Facility is nice, rooms are nice and clean as well. however.....The water pressure is non-existent! water barelt trickled out of the shower. We couldnt take one. took 30 mins to fill up the tub to bathe, which does not fit anyone over 5 feet tall. Also, there is ZERO heat in the bathroom and the room witht the shower/toilet in it. it was ICE COLD! Staff was nice though, breakfast was so so. it was very quiet but because of the water pressure and inability to shower at all, we would not stay there again! Let the front desk know and was just told...we will have someone look at it. As i see other reviews, this has been an on going issue

We were at the Painted Pony, Best Western right after Christmas. It snowed, all the time. I noticed the staff always shoveling snow out front and between the cars. We had a VERY clean room, and they are pet friendly, we always bring our dog. Good full on breakfast every day, and the staff is awesume. We came to Showlow to buy a house. We love it here. Extremely Clean, great staff and service. you will not regret staying here... we brought our dog; which they have a slight charge per night for. If you have that need, this will fit your needs nicely.

Our primary purpose was to fish around the White Mountains. This hotel was close to several fishing areas. The bed was comfortable. Personnel were friendly. Breakfast had a variety of items. No external noise. Most important - pet friendly.

We love staying here. We have been in Show Low quite a few times over the past few years. The Best Westen Painted Pony is nestled in the trees. The area is so pretty. There is a nice restaurant within a short walking distance! It is all good in our eyes!

Centrally located downtown. Nice Mexican restaurant next door. Room was clean and everything worked. Breakfast area is small and foods OK. Would like to come through this part of Arizona again and spend more time. Would consider staying at this BW if I do.

We visited Show Low for the day. Decided at the last minute to spend the night. Contacted the hotel and the staff were very polite. Their breakfast options were great. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The lobby area is very open and inviting, and the rooms were very well kept. The location is very good, and the restaurant next door was excellent. Very easy in-and-out between car and room. Overall, a fine value.

We were trying to find a nice clean place to stay while in the area on a mission trip. Boy did we hit a home run here! Great value for a big spacious double queen room. The staff was pleasant and very friendly. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was well situated with good restaurants in the immediate area. The complimentary breakfast area is not big but the breakfast was very good. You have to travel about 5 minutes to the fitness gym but it was worth the drive. I would highly recommend this place and definitely visit again.

My son and I stayed at the Best Western Paint Pony Lodge for two weeks during our 2018 Arizona archery elk hunt. The accommodations were clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and eager to please. The maid service was excellent. The guest laundry was clean and well maintained. All in all, the Paint Pony Lodge is the top Best Western hotel/motel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in quite a few!

Easy check in, our room was updated, clean and comfortable. Might be time to replace the bed, it was a little on the soft side for me... it was easy to find, and parking was readily available. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at the Best Western Paint Pony in Show Low Arizona several times and have always been treated very well and the motel is well cared for. It is also located within walking distance of one of our favorite Mexican restaurants Los Corrales.

I made a last minute change to this hotel for a recent weekend trip. The room was extremely clean, the bed comfortable and quiet. The only issues are there are a lot of sources of light (e.g., electronic clock, microwave, etc) and the curtains don't do a good job blocking outside light at night. Luckily I was very tired at the end of each day and could sleep.

Excellent location in Show Low nice restaurants close by good rooms comfortable beds I would get a room on the top floor next time as the folks above us had elephant feet at 2-3 in the morning. Otherwise great place.

We really liked this hotel. Very comfortable beds, clean and well maintained. Even the free breakfast was good -- eggs, waffles, muffins, cereal, yogurt and more. Employees were nice and helpful. Make sure to get a room in the back, to avoid street noise. Even though the hotel is a bit on the pricey side, we are already planning on coming back.

We had stayed here over 10 years ago and it was nice to see that the property has kept up with maintenance/remodel, etc. Very clean property, from outdoors, lobby, parking lot and especially the rooms. Could not have been more pleased. The breakfast was really good and the staff members were outstanding.

we were having vehicle problem and needed to stay until a shop opened after the Holidays. this was the second best westen and about the sixth hotel we called to book a room without being charged (if we were not able to make it because of the problems). every other hotel was going to charge a cancellation charge and refuse to waive any charge regardless of the situation. this hotel and staff understood and gave us until 10:00pm which was plenty of time to let them know if we were not going to be able to make it. what might seem small to one may be the LARGEST difficulty in someone else's life. thank you Paint Pony Lodge in Show Low, Az

Our queen suite with a fireplace was exceptionally nice. A large countertop in the bathroom, lots of plug ins, and a glass enclosed gas fireplace. Even though the weather was in the 70's, we still lit the fireplace and enjoyed watching it. Breakfast was very good and all of the staff were very friendly. Because it's located right on the outskirts of Show Low, getting there was easy. No need to put up with the Duce of Clubs stop lights and traffic. Makes a perfect escape from the Phoenix summer heat or a quick winter trip to see some snow.

I stay on this property several times a month and it consistently has excellent customer services, clean rooms, nice breakfasts, and the staff are very attentive to the needs of the guests. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

This hotel was perfect for a couple of nights for business in the White Mountains. The room was quiet, comfortable bed, clean room, good fast WiFi... everything you could ask for on business. I didn't eat breakfast, so I'm sorry to say I can't rate that. The desk clerks were courteous, friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel!

If you are looking for hospitality but aren't sure which one to choose, go here. We booked a cabin rental in Greer and that was a joke, beyond joke! Fresh cookies, coffee and amenities available after the free breakfast! The property manager is very nice, he even gave us some free water. =) Every time we come to Show Low we always request here, close to everything, good food not too far down the road, but the town does close up it's sidewalks at 5pm. We love the location to get out and see the high country aspen trees changing in the cooler weather. It's not a real long drive from Phx, and is worth going. If you like Casino's I hear the one in Show Low is pretty popular. Our next booking, we're going golfing!

Pride in property shows at this Best Western in Show Low. Located on the primary road in town, the Lodge is crisp, clean, and welcoming. They offer friendly assistance at check in, host a spacious lobby (with out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies) and serve basic breakfast fare in the morning. Easy parking, good WIFI, and comfy beds. Gallop on over and rein in a great deal!

This was our first visit to the BW Paint Pony Lodge, but it won't be our last! My sister and her husband stayed here recently and suggested we give it a try. The location is ideal... so close to great restaurants and other amenities, including a Safeway, right across the street. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed the traditional Best Western breakfast with plenty of choices. Our only negatives were sporadic wi-fi operation and we, personally, didn't not care for the pillows. They were firmer than we like. The room was in good repair and extremely clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Not a bad little place. Room was clean and had very nice toiletries. No elevators, but only goes up to second floor. Fairly quiet, with lots of room. Nothing fancy, so don't expect luxury, just a very standard simple room, again, very clean and comfortable. Guest service ladies were quite nice and very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast, however, left A WHOLE lot to be desired - nothing but carbs and not high quality ones either. You may want to skip it altogether, as it gets quite crowded (the area is super small!) for no reason (there's nothing really worthwhile ). In my opinion, this place is just a bit overpriced, no good reason to go north of $100 or even $90, it should be right around $80 for a rooms, as it is quite a simple place, again, with an unremarkable breakfast. If possible, try to get a room in the back, that way you won't hear as much noise from the road.

Room had everything - microwave, fridge, etc. Clean room - appeared as if the room was newly remodeled. Good, complete breakfast included. Inside looked a lot nicer than I thought from looking at the outside & was considerably less expensive than all the other hotels.

This was a nice motel. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms was very clean. We didn't eat breakfast, but one is offered. There is an awesome Mexican restaurant next door, and the food was delicious.

Breakfast not very tasty. All else was excellent. No suggestions to improve as we understand that breakfast is offered as a mere courtesy. We have come to realize this and do not expect anything to be other than what it is. But you did ask!

This Show Low property is well placed for enjoying the area or a waypoint when traveling. We did not sample the breakfast which appeared to be the usual fare in this type of establishment. Pleasant staff and great cookies. Painting in progress was very pungent. Perhaps guests should be warned.

Stayed here several times and always had very nice rooms and breakfasts and service ...SO MUCH NICER than the one in Lakeside in rooms and attitude...reserved parking too and Cattleman restaurant (corner of main street & Highway 60) very clean & fine dinners

Rooms are very clean. There have been relatively recent updates,to the rooms and furniture. The popcorn ceiling needs to go. The price we paid was right, but we won't stay here if I visit Show Low again. Don't expect much for breakfast, we ended up going to a restaurant, the selection here was very sparse. For one night it was fine, glad we didn't plan to stay longer.

We always stay at this Best Western when we want to spend a weekend away in the mountains. Service is friendly and the rooms are quiet. Continental breakfast has good choices to start the day. We love the freshly baked cookies at check in.

I've stated at this property several times over 25 years. Current refresh is terrific! Contemporary with all the amenities I needed for a short business trip: wifi, desk space, good lighting. Good, folksy customer service. I would stay again!

One of the nicer Best Western's that we have stayed in. Quiet, and on the main street. this provides value for the dollar spent. We did not have breakfast so can not comment. The room is large, the beds are quite comfortable.

Best Western has done a good job of putting their name on a lot of classic old motels, and this is another good example. Maybe a little pricey, but a comfortable hotel with a location that gives some privacy even though right on the highway. The restaurant next door was okay, but nothing to write home about.

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Paint Pony Lodge at the beginning of March 2018. At first, I was put off because I arrived after 10 p.m. and was directed to an outdoor check-in window. It was approximately 25 degrees outside, so I expressed my frustration at standing outside in the cold to check in--certainly not something I've ever had to do anywhere else, ever. Thankfully, the night attendant was gracious enough to let me in, where it was nice and warm. She explained that there are bars down the road. However, never during my 5 night stay did I see or hear any obnoxious guests or people loitering. I think they need to ditch the outdoor check-in, at least during cold months. The reception/lobby and breakfast lounge are in a separate building. This building is not connected to the guest rooms. It is a lovely, inviting, homey building, with wood accents, eye-catching artwork by local artists, and ample seating for breakfast or visiting. Breakfast was the same every morning, except they rotated sausage and bacon for the choice of meat. You can choose from pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast and English muffins, waffles, scrambled eggs, meat, and sausage gravy and biscuits. If they run out of something, they will happily get more out for you, even if you show up ten minutes before breakfast is done. There are a few excellent breakfast spots in Show Low and Pinetop, so I alternated between eating at Best Western and eating out. My first room apparently had thin walls, and I could hear normal conversation on both sides of my room, resulting in a restless night of sleeping. The shower in the morning was refreshing with thick, thirsty towels and a nice big shower head that helped wake me up. The front desk was kind enough to let me switch rooms, and I moved from the front building to the back. This room was much quieter, and although I could still hear conversation, either the walls were thicker and I couldn't hear as much, or the guests stopped talking early, because I didn't have a problem staying asleep. I did, however, find it difficult to fall asleep because the pillows were so uncomfortable. Unless you are a back sleeper, take your own pillow. Their pillows are all super full, and because they're filled with synthetic material, they don't squish down, making side-sleeping difficult, and I'm guessing stomach sleepers might have to ditch the pillow entirely. They need choices in regard to pillows. In addition, the shower head in this room wasn't as big, therefore water flow wasn't as strong, which was a bit of a bummer. I also didn't like the combination shampoo/conditioner they supplied or the soap, and they didn't offer lotion, so I went out and bought all three of my own. If you don't place your dirty towels and washcloths directly on the floor, housekeeping will leave them in the room. I left my washcloth balled up in the corner of the shower and a dirty towel draped over the bottom of the tub, and they were still there later in the day. In addition, they didn't rinse out the tub or sink. These are minor things, but noticeable nonetheless. Also, not having on-sight exercise facilities was inconvenient, and I ended up not getting a pass to go elsewhere. Kids be aware that there is not a pool here either. So, while not an exceptional experience, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again because I felt the price was fair for what I was getting, and its location was perfect for my needs. I can definitely recommend this property without hesitation.

I have stayed at plenty of BW properties and this one is okay, not great but will do for a night. The restaurant next door is within walking distance and as the front desk promised, the food is phenomenal. The rooms are clean, housekeeping knows what they are doing and are very accommodating!!

We were surprised by the large size of our hotel room. It was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel is conveniently located on the main street, but still quiet, and near several restaurants. Hot breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful. I'd stay here again.

My husband, two daughters and I spent our Christmas holiday here. We were greeted by a cheerful desk clerk, Veronica, who made check in a breeze! The breakfast was good and hot (make yourself waffles, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pastries, toast, coffee, orange and apple juice, hot cocoa and teas), the room was clean, the staff was friendly, the area was quiet minus a few guests who checked in late, but that has nothing to do with the hotel or staff. Some people just don't think.

This property is very accommodating to pets. We experienced no issues with this property during our stay. The breakfast was good, and the staff was helpful. I prefer soft mattresses, but my husband loved the mattress being firmer. The rooms were quiet, everything was clean and fresh, and it was very easy to control the temperature. We have stayed at this location several times in the past and it is our choice for the Show Low area. A bit more expensive than others in the area, but worth it.

This place was very nice for the price. People are very helpful. It is your basic Motel room but very clean . Breakfast is not very attractive. I expected something a little better quality. I did not have the breakfast because it was not presented nicely at all. Overall it was quiet and close to down town area.

Very nice motel near the south entrance to Show Low, AZ. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Nice accommodations. A nice hotel next door and Safeway across the street. Lots of brochures on things to do in the area.

On a short layover i chose this property as a good mid point in our journey. I am very glad i did. We got a great nights sleep. I chose a ground floor King room, very large and quiet in the back building. Very clean rooms!!

Great place , very clean and friendly staff. Good location. Good breakfast. We have stayed in other BW in area and this is the best one overall. Breakfast was good and staff even helped us one morning when we were late.

we normally stay at the hampton inn, but their rate for that weekend had jumped significantly, so we looked around. paint pony was rated the same, had the same amenities, but was a better rate. we thought we would try one night, but were so pleased, we stayed all three nights with them, The staff was wonderful(compared to the snob at hampton inn who said there was NO comparison)and the breakfast was really good. The woman who ran the breakfast buffet took a lot of care in keeping the food warm She really deserves all the accolades.

This was a random find. As a Veteran, Best Western and Vets Advantage saved me money and turned out to be a highlight of our trip. I have traveled domestically and internationally. I wish that all the facilities I have visited would use the formula that Best Western Paint Pony Lodge put together.

This is honestly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. I am a nurse, and a day sleeper. The hotel provided well for that as it is quiet during the day. Also the fireplace was beautiful. Thanks for a great experience! I would stay here again.

Room was clean and warm....a/c wasn't as cool as I like but it is October so hopefully by the summer it will be fixed. The bed itself was comfortable but the pillows were like rocks.....they are not regular bed pillows, they are square like couch pillows. We finally were able to punch them to flatten a bit. The staff was very friendly. Had no noise problems since we were in the back building. Breakfast was hot and there was a variety of foods to eat. I wish there was a pool or hot tub to relax in, that might keep people away but not a big issue.

Hard as rock beds, dated furniture, and cheap irons....ruined a pair a dress pants. Okay place to stay if you are a construction worker. Parking is tight as well and room doors open right to the parking lot so you can hear every truck starting in the morning. Won't be back

We looked up hotels/motels while on the road to Show Low, and decided to try the Paint Pony Lodge because of the name and the photos online. First time we've ever stayed at a Best Western. It was well worth it. Hotel class at a motel price. Very nice, clean, friendly hotel. Beautiful lobby, helpful staff and clean rooms with amenities. Very well laid out and nice-looking, even had a gas fireplace in our room!

We had a bad experience upon checking in & will not be going back. We were told the rooms were being cleaned & could not check in until 3:00. Upon returning at 3:05, we waited behind 3 others to check in. The room we requested was not available so they offered to "upgrade" us. They did & it was a very nice room, but they charged us an extra $32 for their upgrade. Michelle knew we were annoyed at the inconvenience & apologized, but it wasn't very sincere -- almost sarcastic. She probably knew I would tell someone about this lousy experience.

I have been frequenting this location for the better part of a decade now when I visit my son and we are always very pleased with the service we receive. The staff is very helpful and friendly and are always willing to go that extra mile to ensure a good stay. The Best Western Paint Pony Lodge has truly become my home away from home whenever I visit. Thank you and keep up the good work!

For a nice get away from Phoenix, this Best Western is located very conveniently for all that we did in Show Low. Except for the Trucks parked next to the hotel turning on their diesel engines at 6:00 AM. all else was nice.

The ac unit did not cool good and they received a complaint a couple weeks prior to our stay and failed to correct the issue and toilet broke and also plugged up. Staff was great. The tv is small for the room size. Check in and check out was very fast and pleasant.

Everything was great. The beds were very hard and pillows were uncomfortable for our liking but that is up to individual personal preferences. Very clean. Excellent customer service from entire staff.

Stayed here many times, always great. Quick check-in, great staff. Excellent chocolate chip cookies in lobby (free). Lots of parking, usually directly in front of your room. I tend to travel with a small trailer that I use for an office and special parking places for cars with trailers are available.

We were working for the Forest Service and it was a nice to stay in for the closeness of our project. The day time staff seems interested in our comets and were willing to answer any questions we had.

I was very happy with my stay here, very friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms close to very good places to eat and or drink. Located in a very easy to find location in the town with easy access to and from anywhere you are going.

This is a very nice hotel, VERY well maintained and staffed with exceptionally friendly staff. The Mexican restaurant next door is a Mexican food lovers paradise ! As a Best Western Rewards Card member I qualified for a FREE night AND they even upgraded me to a very spacious, super nice suite. THANKS BEST WESTERN !

Our stay was for business and it worked out well. All rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was better than most - just not continental but grits and other stuff. The cost of the rooms was very affordable.

This location is top notch. The hotel is older but kept in excellent condition. It is on the main street in town and very convenient to everything. The breakfast is on time and quite good. A good stay.

This is a very nice Best Western. The breakfast is above average and the staff was very professional and provided the services that we expected being a HOG and Elite Rewards Member. Our favorite Best Western even though its not a BW Plus.

We usually stay in Best Western when we travel to visit friends and relatives. Always neat and clean, available nearly everywhere, friendly staff, breakfast included. Excellent value for the price. Usually in very convenient locations.

I stayed for two nights and it was perfect. It is pet friendly. I had my two little kids and eng bulldog with me. Price is great. Room was clean and simply updated. My only negative remark would be the comfort level of the beds, maybe more specifically the pillows. Breakfast was great. I would stay there again.

The internet was down two of the three days of stay. that was disappointing. I really would of enjoyed a hot tub, also. But overall the hotel was clean and a good location. We walked to supper two nights. I felt safe staying there.

For being the age of this motel and nearing the end of the summer season, I thought it to b e little overpriced for seniors or AAA members. Considering the number of rooms, the breakfast area was quite small. Since their old original office appears to be unused, mayb it would make a better breakfast area? Have been a BW Rewards member for many years.

A group of 5 on Harley's on a return trip from Sturgis chose the Best Western Paint Pony in Show Low Arizona on August 10th 2017. That decision was made on January 18th 2017. And, the Best Western was chosen "specifically" due to the relationship this chain has with Harley Davidson and as two in the group were members of the Best Western Ride Rewards Program. An early leave out of Farmington NM and running to beat storms put the group in Show Low ahead of schedule and check-in time arriving around 1:30 p.m. Everyone recognizes there is a stated check-in time at any hotel but circumstances were as they were. We was early! And it started pouring rain within minutes of our arrival. Having ridden many times together we "always" booked far in advance and "always" requested ground floor rooms together if possible. "Always!" We realize there are no guarantees. Upon arrival we checked in at the counter to see what the possibility was of getting in early. We sensed that a counter employee might have accommodated us but at least one in the group saw a woman in the background with a somewhat unpleasant look on her face holding up 3 fingers indicating check in time was at 3:00 p.m. In fairness to the Paint Pony upstairs rooms with king size beds were offered but we asked about downstairs rooms (kinda like what we did on January 18th). We were told the downstairs rooms were not ready yet and that when they were 3 of us would be on one side of the hotel and two on the other. Well, OK. One in the group opted for an upstairs rooms and checked in. The others waited. Outside (our choice) under the canopy in the rain. We sat and sat and sat and saw absolutely no maid activity in the ground floor rooms. At near 3:00 p.m. an employee walked over to the ground floor rooms that we had been looking at for an hour and a half, checked them and walked back. So we waited a bit more and at "precisely" 3:00 p.m. were granted access to the rooms that we had been staring at for 90 minutes. But wait, there's more. While we sat there (in the rain) two separate cars pulled in and were checked in. Well before 3:00 p.m. "and" in ground floor rooms adjacent to the rooms we had been staring at. We were told the rooms were not ready. So what's the real story? Were the rooms really not ready or did the lady with 3 fingers just not like people on motorcycles! There was only one employee here that ever smiled at us and we sensed that it was the tone being set by the lady with 3 fingers who we later learned was a corporate manager. WOW! We didn't even see a friendly face the next morning. Never a smile, how you going, good morning or whatever. Nothing! All in all we just felt unwelcome. We felt this hotel was far below par and none of us would ever return and would spread the word to others that the Paint Pony is not a place you want to stay. There are other choices in Show Low.

From the initial reservation (we called direct) to final check-out (stayed 3 nights), we had nothing but the best service. All questions were answered timely, with a smile. We wish we could remember the specific employees names but we can say this: EVERY employee we dealt with was kind, helpful, and always served with a smile....rom the front desk help, to the housekeeping staff, to the sweet lady that took care of us at breakfast. Kudos to the management for the upbeat, friendly service provided during our stay. By the way, rooms were super clean too....very comfortable bed.

Excellent value within walking distance of the Los Corralis Mexican restaurant. Good Mexican food and a great place to eat. We stayed here several times and always had a good experience. We will be back.

The roo, was large. There was a nice desk and plenty of plugs. The wifi was strong. The location was really good for my needs. There was a gas fireplace in the room which was a nice touch since the eventing temps dipped down a bit.

This motel was so clean I didn't feel like I had to wear my shoes in the room. Nothing was out of place and nothing was missing. Staff from check-in to maintenance to house keeping were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had many options and the cookies in the afternoon were a great touch.

The stay was perfect for our circumstances. We were part of a group of family supporting coaches and players at the Show Low High School. They became supportive to our needs as they understood the positive impact that was being made to the community.

Our room was large and very comfortable. It was clean and relaxing. The setting of this Best Western is in the pines and we loved it. Only negative, there were not any comfortable chairs in the room to sit in.

This hotel is a gem. Obviously recently upgraded with new carpet, tile, and new bathroom fixtures, very clean and comfortable. The clerk on duty both at check in and check out was Stephanie. Fantastic personality, helpful, friendly, and professional

Nice area room is average . Service is great. Bathroom was updated from the last time I stayed. Bed was to firm for me. Otherwise a nice place. If you go to the Lavender Festival I suggest staying here next year for your trip.

The staff was kind, the lobby belies what is in the guest rooms. The lobby is truly stunning, but the rest of the motel is dated. We are older and it just was a very uncomfortable 2 nights. They have the old style a/c heating units that make a lot of noise and go off and come on all night.

The location and price were awesome! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! Great place for a family leisure stay or a quick business trip. This room had a lot of useful amenities. I specifically appreciated the fridge and microwave in the room. I will definitely stay here again!

Nice clean place to stay. The staff were exceptionally nice, the rooms clean, and they had HBO. The beds were a little bit too firm for my taste but my family and I still slept comfortably. This is not a fancy hotel because there is no pool and it consists some buildings mostly surrounded by blacktop. Breakfast was about average for an included breakfast. My only complaint about the room is that there was no way to open a window and Show Low has a nice climate so opening a window is often more preferable than running the climate control. I at least wish the climate control would pull in fresh air when its on vent mode but all it seemed to do was recirculate air in the room.

This little motel looked good in online reviews, and a friend recommended it, so we made it our sleep over in Show Low. From the point of check-in, it was such a gem! The wonderful chocolate chip cookies - warm and melting with chocolate - were the first surprise. Yum! The desk clerk, and every other hotel employee we encountered throughout our stay, was friendly and offered a genuine smile and greeting. The room was the best surprise; I just don't have great expectations of rooms at this price point, and they have now become the bar that every other hotel/motel needs to meet. The room was larger than expected, with a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, iron and ironing board (who does this anymore!?) and a big, comfortable bed with equally comfy pillows. But it was the level of cleanliness that was the best part. That room was spotless. The bed linens were clean and bright, the carpet was immaculate, the bathroom almost sterile it was so clean, and the room had none of the used, old, tired, prior guest scent to it. Wonderful! (And despite the facility being fully booked, it was quiet!) We did not eat the free breakfast, but looked at what was offered, and it seemed like there were far more choices than other "free breakfasts" at similar hotels.

We were looking for a location near Concho and Show Low was the spot which was to be a stop over only, but this BW was clean, convenient, and quiet for our stay so we booked another night upon check in. The young man that was there during our stay was very friendly and answered all our questions about the area. The room was very clean and quiet considering there were a lot of truckers who stayed at this hotel as well. If another trip requires a stay in Show Low I would book this BW!

The breakfast is the best i have seen at a hotel. I am a vegetarian and my son is a picky eater..there was plenty for us to choose from. We stayed in the 2 queen suite. The separate living room was ideal for the kids. It was perfect for the family. Good wifi and comfortable beds.

We have tried many of the hotels/motels in Show Low Arizona, and found that the Best Western Paint Pony Lodge to be the best for your money. It is the easiest to find, the cleanest and most friendliest staff ever.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are exterior entrance doors which isnt my favorite but the room was quite large, nicely decorated and it was very quiet. the breakfast was very nice, and the room was only about $85, which is very reasonable. There is a good Mexican/American restaurant right next door that you can walk to.

A nice place to hang your hat if you are up and about the White Mountains. Rooms are ample and beds do not disappoint. Breakfast is served early enough so you can go about your day and it closes at a good time if you want to sleep in a little.

I have stayed here twice in the last 2 years. On both occasions the staff was professional and friendly, the rooms were neat and clean, as well as the exterior of the buildings. For being an older hotel, it is well maintained. It is located next to the best Mexican Food Restaurant and a grocery store across the street. The surrounding area is beautiful! I will always stay here when passing through town!

The hotel is in a convenient area of a small-town in rural Arizona. It is comfortable, safe and quiet. The room was clean, and the breakfast was satisfactory. The staff was helpful. Recommended. I don't normally do these surveys, hope my name is anonymized.

Booked this hotel direct for a one night stop on a trip to Phoenix. It is a nice hotel, clean comfortable room. Oddly we were first sent to a handicap accessible room with a bath fitted out for handicap access. We did not need this and when we checked back with the front desk the young man on duty tried to tell us it was probably because we booked through a third party or that it had been the only room available, neither of which was the case. After we went round and round on this he finally said yes they had another double room available and we were given the next room over. It all was a bit odd, but worked out fine. Breakfast was not very good. Had coffee and hit the road.

The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful, from check in to check out to breakfast to help with finding a restaurant to housekeepin. Our room was large, clean and well laid out. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator was nice size, and actually had a freezer, which was great for keeping our ice frozen. Breakfast was just ok. The eggs were hot and not too dry. The sausage and bacon were well cooked and warm. There were bananas, oranges and apples (bad apples) so we had plenty to eat. There were also biscuits and gravy and waffles and dry cereal and bakery items, but we didn't try them. The biggest complaint was the wifi; it would cut in and out. Not usually a problem, but my husband needed 30 minutes of uninterrupted wifi, and that was difficult to find. He did finally discover that if he just turned wifi off, then turned it back on, he could accomplish his tasks.

My husband and I stayed two nights at this BW. The staff was very friendly, respectful and helpful. They recommended area activities and attractions with ease. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The free internet worked without any delay. I had not asked for a first floor room but they were able to accommodate this request upon our arrival.

It looked like this hotel was purchased from another's mistake. Compared to Rancho Mirage, they made no effort to make us feel welcome. When I asked housekeeping to come back, they never did. The Breakfast area was too small to make a presentation. It was just all lumped in a small are with hardly enough tables or chairs to accommodate the guests. No effort was made to see if we enjoyed the fireplace that was in an upgraded room, which we could not figure how to operate. No effort was made to tell us that Showlow was having a festival or what was offered.

The front desk was so friendly,there were even cookies in the lobby. The bed seemed so comfortable, the shower worked great and we appreciated the fireplace. Would highly recommend this hotel when in Sho Low

Excellent staff with clean rooms and abundant space. The breakfast was great with a variety of choices. The breakfast area had a good number of seats available. The room decor was pleasant and inviting.

We had a very clean. King size bed with fireplace. It was just one night but we really enjoyed the room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. It was easy to find & a great rate.

This BW is moderately appointed and priced. The room we received was a 2nd floor beautiful King Bed room newly upgraded with AC/heat pump, flat screen tv, refrigerator, microwave, and tub/shower combination. The lobby is fresh with a full wall fireplace and seating area. The free breakfast was as described with plenty of offerings to please most folks. A spa is available but is off site. Fresh cookies served daily. May not be dog friendly some confusion between a website and printed material. No noise issues.

Service and room was Great! Clean room. Spotless bathroom. And there is a great Mexican steakhouse! Food was great! Breakfast was realky good and freash. Plent of choices. Checkout was fas and employee was polite.

when we travel through this area, we make a point to stay here, we will adjust plans or travel stops around this hotel, staff is always top draw. very low key atmosphere. laid back if you will. more best westerns should follow this example

This is a great place to stay. Clean, spacious rooms and great staff. Will be staying here the next time I am in the area. The restaurant next door is also a great place to eat. Good food and good prices.

The staff went out of their way to keep us with fresh cookies as we arrived. Furthermore, they opened breakfast early to accommodate our early departure. The beds and linens were super comfortable. The AC was quiet.

It's been a while since I submitted a review for a hotel but the Paint Pony Lodge was so exceptional that it compelled me to do so. This is a Best Western and one expects a certain standard but this hotel goes beyond that. I don't think it would have been possible for the room to have been any cleaner -- it was absolutely spotless and immaculate. It went beyond clean too in that the room was so comfortable, free HBO, free breakfast (yummy!), super friendly staff and so much more. This hotel is well looked after and well cared for and maintained and it shows. I'm sure our next trip to the White Mtns will lead us back to this hotel.

This was may first "stay" at the hotel as I was in town for work we are doing in the area. I was totally satisfied with everything from the staff, rates, breakfast, and of course the comfort of the modernized rooms. the bed/mattress was very comfortable. I will definitely stay at the Paint Pony in the future.

This motel offers everything important... great, friendly service, good breakfast, and cleaner than my own house. We stayed twice during our trip, coming and going, just because of the service here. Even the wi-if was strong without interruption.

I'm a clean freak and this was very clean! Also, bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend. Well located. I will definitely stay at this hotel anytime I need lodging in the area. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great value but doesn't want to compromise cleanliness and comfort.

The hotel is a little dated but still nice overall. No sleep timer on the tv remote is always frustrating, but you can do it manually on the tv itself via buttons on the side. The breakfast was really good for a continental. They care about the quality of food they put out and it shows. I'll be back, but couldn't give them 5 stars due to the age.

Nice motel for the price. Staff is friendly and helpful, they have a nice breakfast available and delicious cookies in the evening. Easy to get to all of the sights in the White Mountains. Nice restaurant next door serving everything from Mexican to steaks and seafood.

We paid a little extra and stayed in a room with a fireplace. It was a spacious room and very clean. The fireplace was a nice extra. It was a cold night and the bathroom wasn't very warm. I didn't see an extra heater in the bathroom. The breakfast was nice, too. I'm average height, but the counter in the breakfast room was so tall that I could not see the food on the back of the counter. That was strange. We were in a back building that was very quiet. Overall it was a good stay.

I have stayed at this hotel for 20 + years . And it has always been consistent. Great staff. Great value. Love the hot breakfast. They constantly up grading the rooms and amenities. Located on the west side of Show Low the restaurant selection is endless. This trip we did the Petrified forest/painted desert loop drive in a 1/2 a day. How beautiful. We love the White Mountain area. You just can't see enough of the State of Arizona.

This hotel has over size rooms and are very comfortable. The beds were great everything in the room worked even the lamps. The employees and cleaning staff ever very friendly and always wish you a great day. The breakfast was good and someone was always making sure enough food was out. Also the cleaned the tables as soon as the guests finished eating getting it ready for the next guest. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

The workers are wonderful, but Gina who works the front desk is absolutely amazing. She goes above and beyond helping the guests. The food is always stocked and warm. They bring coffee to you if you are sitting at a table. The food is good.

We stayed here on a trip through Arizona. The room was nice, clean and quiet. They offered fresh cookies at check-in and a delicious selection for breakfast. Show Low is pretty quiet in March so it was not too busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was very nicely upgraded and modern. We stayed in a Fireplace room which was very nice which added nice ambiance. Breakfast was included and the staff, Gina in particular, was very nice and ensured there was enough food and everyone got enough even when it was close to shutting down for the morning. Recommend staying and would definitely stay there again.

This was an overnight stay on a roadtrip. Met all our needs. Pleasant greetings on arrival. Clean and comfortable room. Being from the UK the size of rooms are unusually big. This sometimes make furnishings look sparse as it did here. Breakfast was ok and with variety. Check out was quick and simple.

My wife and I went here for a weekend get away and found some great people, restaurants to visit. The area was very beautiful and the resale shops had some very interesting items. We found a bench for our restaurant, that made the wife very happy! The Best western here in Pin Top was the best value for this area near Show low, and the rooms were clean and the people here were the best!

Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. This seems to be a new part of the hotel and quieter, away from the highway. The room was spacious and as advertised. An upgrade was not available. Parking was right outside our door which was super convenient. Laurel was cheerful and a great resource for a good place to eat. Breakfast was hot, lots to choose from and a good variety of fresh unpeeled fruit. Coffee was good, and there is some at the door for a fillup prior to leaving the property.

Nice large rooms, clean and comfortable. This is a very nice hotel the staff are great. Its has a good location, right next door to a restaurant/lounge which is really convenient after a long drive. The breakfast area is small and sometimes pretty crowed. The breakfast is the standard type of breakfast of rolls, cereal, toast etc.. We've been here a few times. Its a good place to rest nice and quiet.

I normally prefer to stay in non-franchised places and support smaller businesses, but we got in late and their sign was well lit so we gave them a shot. It was up to normal Best Western standards and our stay was pleasant.

Staff is really great, facility is old and tired...but, they are going to complete badly needed renovations. They need to restrict certain rooms for pets so others can be comfortable without stinking carpets. They say they clean the room AC filters, but I doubt it

Hotel staff cancelled a reservation I made 6 wks in advance without my consent or knowledge. Then as a result I had no room downstairs to accommodate my disability. I was forced into an upstairs room requiring me to climb stairs which is incredibly difficult and painful. Other hotels in the area were fully book due to events in the area leaving me little to no options to secure another place to stay. My rate to stay was also raised by more than 60.00 a day higher than was quoted to me on my original quoted reservation date. TV did not work, Refrigerator did not get cold, and my request for a 5 a.m. wake up call was not met. My stay really stunk top to bottom. One staff person was an absolute jewel and was the saving grace for this location. They are blessed to have her in their employ. Her name is GINA. Thank You Gina for all of you wonderful help and cheerful spirit in spite of all these rotten things you make people happy.

Rooms are larger then most, breakfast area is clean and bright, lobby is clean and bright. The biggest problem is that there are no elevators and even if it is only a two story building you need to be able to carry luggage and climb a story of stairs. Not a good deal if you are seniors and have arthritis. I requested a ground floor unit but was told when I got there that none was available. It was very difficult to climb the stairs and to get our luggage up and down the stairs.

Great people to stay with. Always a pleasure because they car about you coming to their hotel and coming back. The food is always good and hot with plenty to eat. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The hotel is close to downtown with shopping close. I will be back.

A very welcoming, friendly hotel. A final stop off on the way to Phoenix airport. What a surprise. A lovely town with lots of walking trails close by. The hotel was beautifully maintained with incredibly friendly, helpful staff. Well appointed, clean rooms. We had a fireplace which was lovely. Excellent, well presented, HOT breakfast. The staff all seem to be so proud of the hotel. Fabulous restaurant next door, excellent value for money.

overall an excellent stop. we go out of our way to stay here. when traveling by motorcycle, we look for bike freindly stops. parking is nice, easy to watch our bikes, good location for walking as we dont drink and ride

Have stayed here many times in the past. Have found the motel to be clean, staff helpful, and property maintained. It is a older motel, but in good shape. They screwed my rooms up on last stay, and did not offer to make any adjustments on price. Was surprised about this. Overall still like the motel and location.

From the minute we arrived the service was great. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was very good. The hotel was in a quite place. Was given booklets of places to visit while on trip and places to eat. The thing that was great Five star was the staff from the minute we arrived till we checked out. Great place...new curtains, rugs, lamps, the bed is very comfortable and it is extremely clean. The room is big. Would stay here again. Nice staff. Great restaurant next door. The lobby is very cozy and comfortable.

Always a good pick for an overnight stop in Show Low. Good location, well maintained property, next door to a good Mexican restaurant. Also dog friendly if you are traveling with your mutts, decent dog walk area right next to motel. Paint Pony Lodge is a good alternative in Show Low.

Being right on the main drag in Show Low, I was worried about noise but that did not become an issue. I enjoyed my one-night stay and had no complaints of any type. The check-in agent was pleasant and helpful. Later, I appreciated the suggestions by the evening clerk regarding places to try for dinner, one of the options worked-out perfectly. Breakfast options in the lobby are pretty limited but at least they are there; the little waffle maker did its job. An easy 2.5-stars (out of five).

Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The air conditioner was a little loud but overall a nice stay. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Wifi was a little shaky, lost the signal several times. Within walking distance to restaurants and bars. Reasonable rates, would stay here again.

Spent one night, it was very quiet except when other visitors dogs woke us up at 6:30:<-oh well. Spacious room that could use some updating though comfy enough. Very bright morning light without any effort to block it so bring your eye masks if you like it dark. Standard breakfast, nice front desk folks. It was so quiet that we did not even use our air/fan and didn't hear a thing almost.

I had a pleasant stay here. Check-in and check-out was simple and the breakfast was satisfying. The room was nice clean. The location worked great for my visit. The neighboring restaurant was great also.

The hotel was a good one, I left a comment for the way the hot water in the handicap room that we had went from hot to ice cold and back and forth and back and forth and the adjustment valve was just not working right along with a very very hard bed. The room was fairly quiet but all the sun light at sun rise blows under the short curtains when one wants to possibly sleep in. Breakfast was great, and Penny the host was great, she made a hotel breakfast look like and taste a million bucks just as if she home made it all for you, a great spread and she is a hoot to chat with as well and told us about the Zip Line excursion which we went to and had a great time, Thanks again Penny hope to see you soon.

Nicest BW that we have stayed in and we have stayed in a few BW Plus. staff was awesome, full breakfast eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles,, cereal, muffins, bananas, oranges, quiet. Incredible restaurant serving Mexican food and the best prime ribs around

Nothing fancy. We checked in to a room in the front and the traffic was quite loud so we asked to be moved to the back. The room was fine...fridge, microwave, clean, 2 beds. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Free breakfast in the nice front lobby.

The stay at this location is very customer oriented and attentive to all your needs and is willing to help you in any way they can. They have an excellent breakfast served in the morning, the cable went off the TV and a staff member came right up and fixed it. The front desk clerk called her manager to see if I could get and early check in and over all it is the best Best Western I have stayed at. My hats off to the management for having and excellent staff for the hotel.

The Good: convenient location on the main drag, about a minute drive to Safeway. Good value for the money - probably the least expensive "decent" lodging in the area. Friendly staff. Hot breakfast available in a nicely kept, very clean dining/serving area. Adequately appointed rooms, WiFi worked for us, ample parking even over a holiday weekend. The Bad: as noted in other reviews, Paint Pony Lodge needs some renovation. A/C unit very noisy and not particularly efficient. Sometimes cleaning staff turns off unit and you return to a hot room. The days of hard or uncomfortable beds are long gone - this place needs to invest in decent, comfortable mattresses. Our room looked reasonably clean, but tile areas turned out to be pretty dirty - I gave the bathroom area a quick wipe-down with my wash cloth and it came up brown. Though friendly, some of the desk staff weren't well-trained. Lots of cracked and chipped cement on walkways and stairs, intermittent outdoor lighting. The Verdict: Even with its warts, Paint Pony Lodge gave us reasonable value for the money. Until something better comes up at this price point, we will return. Hey, maybe the owners will pony up for some much needed upgrade/repair and this will be that something better!

From checking in, to the terrific room, bed, WiFi, & all room features, to the exceptionally excellent breakfast, all the kind and friendly attitude and help at any time of ALL the staff, and the kindness to my Service Dog Miss Cinnamon, to the easy and pleasant process of checking out and saying good-bye till next time, Paint Pony Lodge is an example of true excellence. Only place I would stay on my way through Show Low AZ.

This hotel is a little tired and needs some focused attention. I have stayed in other hotels in Show Low and all of them are a better value and a better experience. The bed was very uncomfortable and the air conditioning unit was fairly loud.

All AARP Rate rooms are upstairs and require climbing stairs as this is an older style hotel with all outside facing rooms and no elevator. No exceptions, even for those with handicapped plates or restricted to walkers. Otherwise the positives listed by others are spot on--big modern rooms and a good breakfast, including seasonal fresh fruit to top waffles or cereal. Blackberries, raspberries and blueberries were included during our stay. That pesky AARP Policy though....

I was pretty happy with this place for the price. The room was clean and had the necessary amenities. It has a great location, being centrally located on Show Low's main road. The breakfast was a highlight. They had an excellent selection, better than most hotels. Although I wish breakfast was served later. They only served between 6am and 9am, even on the weekend.

This is an excellent place to stay if you are in Show Low, AZ, the staff and hotel are excellent, the breakfast offered is awesome. I have stayed at other hotels and this one is by far a great hotel and I plan to stay here again when I travel to Show Low again.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the free hot breakfast was a nice bonus, if you didn't feel like getting in your car and driving somewhere. In all, I would recommend this hotel. Everything was conveniently located, ice machine, lobby. We would stay here again.

My granddaughter, her baby, my poodle and I stayed overnight at the Best Western in Show Low, AZ. I booked through an internet site. When I checked in, the very nice manager or person in charge gave me an additional military discount which helped greatly. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good also. I will definitely be returning.

Booked the king suite which has a jet tub & gas fireplace in full view of tub. Very romantic! Being a business owner, it can be difficult to travel for stress relief. The front desk staff was awesome giving us a significant discounted "locals" rate, early & late check in/out. Really clean, quiet room...just the mini break we needed. Awesome as usual BW!

People in the room next door were having a party well into the night. I called the front desk 3 times, each call one hour apart. The party simply continued. Due to the thin walls, it was as if the party was in our room. Obviously we were not able to get any sleep. I will never stay here again.

Upon late arrival, the hotel staff was expecting me. They were very quick to get us checked in and were very pleasant. The hotel was clean and quiet even when it was sold out. The air conditioner in the room was a little faulty but it was cool enough to crack the door to ventilate. Nice location.

We had a great experience in the Show Low are and this hotel stay just added to it. Look forward to coming back here to stay for a few days, great get away from the heat in Phoenix. I have just about all the time have had great experiences at the Best Western Hotels. Lately I have not looked much at anyplace else to stay.

Got there late at 10pm. The Hotel attendant was on the phone for quite a while, so she did not help us immediatlely. We were tired so that was a little drawback. The room clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice although the lady in charge was a bit rude, did not talk to anyone. And I felt like she was watching our every move. I did not like that. At times the Hotel staff did not acknowledge us. But overall, it was a very nice stay.

This particular BW had only handicapped parking for the two handicap[ped accessible rooms that I saw. The signs in front of the rooms said "handicapped" parking, but did not say the space was designated just for that room. Another car with a handicapped tag was parked in that space but was apparently staying in another room. Hence, there was no handicapped space available for my SUV with a scooter chair on a lift on the tailgate. I will not be staying here again do to the lack of handicapped parking near the room.

They have a good breakfast here. The hotel is always clean, and it's well maintained. Whenever we are traveling in this area, we stay here. It's a good value. The staff is friendly and efficient. This hotel is a good value.

As I was driving from our home in Apache Junction AZ up to our cabin north of St Johns AZ, I drove through a sudden and severe rainstorm along the mountain highway along the Mogollon Rim. Being 70 with Post Polio Syndrome, I was exhausted and had to stop in Show Low before going on. I turned in at the friendly-appearing Best Western sign, and my Service Dog Cinnamon and I were quickly welcomed and assisted. A young couple of staff members, I think named Justin Berry and Celeste Henry, quickly got us checked in and over to our room. They carried in the items I needed for overnight, and checked over the room to be sure all was in good working order. They asked me to call if I needed any kind of help. The accommodations and breakfast were wonderful, and next morning I was recovered enough to be on my way. And my lovely Cinnamon my Service Dog enjoyed walking in your woods quite a bit. I shall let all my friends and organizations I belong to know that I have found the perfect place to stay in Show Low AZ! And I thank you with all my heart.

The staff was extremely pleasent. It was an older establishment but clean considering. I was able to walk to a nearby park that was absolutely beautiful. I accidentally chose a smoking room and there was no other availability so they were nice enough to give me the room that had the least smell and a can of Febreeze.

Stayed here while grandkids camped at Fool Hollow on Mem Day weekend. Very convenient. Very helpful front desk folks & breakfast above average with hot eggs, bacon, sausage. Lobby and breakfast area nicely done. We had a room facing the road which we thought would present a noise problem but no complaints, good sound proofing.

Every area we spent any time in was clean, whether inside or out. We stayed in 23 different motels/hotels during a 42-day trip and this was the cleanest of any. The size of the room was so much better than most and the amenities are up to date. We appreciate a larger bathroom counter and separate toilet/shower from the sink area. The breakfast is the usual complimentary meal and not that special but the staff was nice along with every one else there. Thanks for the nice stay.

Stayed at Paint Pony Lodge for two nights during a family visit. After check in, requested a different room and the staff was very accommodating. We did not want to be near the top of the stairs. We have stayed before and as usual our room was very clean. The breakfast is adequate with eggs, sausage and fresh fruit available.

Their was a mix up in our reservation,( no fault of Best Western) Julee the ASST. MGR. took care of us, she gave us a better rate than what we had and upgraded us as best she could, would highly recommend staying here.

What a wonderful experience! After a long day we stopped here and it was a great choice. Staff was so kind from arrival until we drove away the next morning. I can't say enough about what a great stay it was. The beds were so comfy mom slept until after 9!

The hotel & staff work to make you feel at home since away from home. Having stayed there before on thus event the staff always recall our prior visits and goes beyond to welcome us to the BW experience.

This establishment had what we always look for....exterior corridors with parking outside the door, wash basin outside toilet/bath area, micro, fridge, very clean and very comfortable bed. The room lacked a second chair and space to move the desk/table in front of the tv to eat at, so we ate out.

My wife and i have stayed @this hotel many times in the last 15 years and have always had a great room and great service. There are many good places to eat with in walking distance. Parking at this hotel is easy even if you are pulling a trailer.

Pleasant staff Overall a good stay, rooms could use an update; lobby is nice but was crowded during breakfast, had to sit in one of their lounge chairs with my plate on my lap; I understand they can't expand given the location.

I booked this property based on the high rating on tripadvisor. While this is not a bad property, I was very disappointed. Mattress very old and sagging on the side most used, ( side adjacent to the alarm clock). Older building that had undergone upgrades but still had some areas in need of replacement like the overhead light/fan in the bathroom. I found it amusing that a blank maintenance request form was left in the guest directory. I guess it saves time that way. Fill it out so they don't have to take the time to check. The employees that I did come in contact with were very friendly and the room was clean. It appears that utility crews for large companies (power maybe?)book rooms on a regular basis during the week. This means that their large trucks make quite a noise when they are leaving in the morning, also thought that a group of them sitting outside of a room drinking beer was probably not the greatest marketing strategy for the property.

From check in to check out this was a pleasant experience. The front desk staff checked us in quickly and efficiently, the room was spacious and clean. It is within walking distance of places to eat and shop. Price to stay overnight was fair considering the location and being on a weekend.

It had very clean rooms and a comfortable bed and pillows. Service was good. Real good free breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and grave and waffles. Had room up front. Was a little noisy with traffic. But bearible. Next door has a great steak and Mexican restaurant. Nice staff.

Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem was AC was not working properly. Really didn't matter since it was cool out and we were very tired. We had several members in our party and the front desk staff was extremely organized and got all of us checked in quickly.

The room was nice and comfortable and having a free breakfast made it even better. Took the trip up to Show Low to see how our dogs would travel for an upcoming trip. Will be staying her again the end of May for our trip to IN.....my husband stays here every time he goes to Show Low.

I was given a room facing the check in office. If I were to stay again, I would ask for a room in the back. While the room was nice, big and clean, it seemed a bit closed in when the curtains were open since the office was right in front of my window. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was good.

I am a very business traveler. I usually spend about 40 nights a year on the road in hotels. I've really come to enjoy the Best Western hotels. I will add the Best Western Paint Pony Lodge to be list of go-to hotels when I need a room. The staff was ver nice and helpful.

Decided at last moment of the day to visit relatives. Called and got a room right away at a reasonable price. Always enjoy staying at Best Western. Always clean, great breakfast, and polity employees.

Arrived on a Sunday evening and was quickly greeted and issued a room. I had commented I wanted a first floor room but was issued a second floor room. Upon my verbal request, it was changed. My question, do hotels get our comments and request? It's my second time with this issue. The room was very clean and good size. Our two mountain bikes fit with out a problem. The hotel maybe a bit old, but well maintained. The location is towards the end of the city on the west side but still close to most everything. Breakfast was pretty good, though we didnt benefit from it. We hit the trails early. Back to location, it was our first time out this way. Hotels on hwy 260 may be a little more charming and the experience of the elk is awesome. I will be back.

I have stayed here many of times while camping up by the lakes to clean up. Nice place to stay, the staff was great. I liked all the things they had for breakfast and the coffee in the rooms was ok. They want this to be in 2oo characters but I believe I have summed every thing up. Just stay there once and you'll go back

The room rates were reasonable. The rooms were spacious and clean and comfy. Coffee pot, iron & ironing board provided. The beds were comfortable but not the pillows. Our pillows were "hard" and our necks were sore the next morning. We found out after the fact that we could have asked for softer pillows. Nice full breakfast provided. The staff was very friendly. Audra made our reservations and she was delightful to work with. We had a room facing the highway but could not hear traffic. Quiet rooms. The Mexican restaurant next door had awesome food.

Excellent location for visiting the White Mountains of Arizona. Plenty of restaurants to select, nice shops and wonderful outdoors with several outstanding year-round fishing locations. Great pine forest within 20-miles of Show Low..

After a long day of White water rafting Inn the upper salt river Showlow is a great place to say I would definitely recommend this hotel! The bed are wonderful and the tub is huge ! Fresh chocolate chip cookies when you get here ! Free breakfast plenty of free parking next-door to the delicious Mexican restaurant

This hotel was one of the cleanest I've stayed in, and was pleasantly surprised because of the lower cost. The staff was very personable, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was kept stocked, had great options, and was very fresh and tasty! I would definitely consider staying at best western on every trip so long as it is up to par with this one!

Large Room. Very Clean. Heater/AC worked good. Bed comfortable. Good breakfast. Very attractive lobby. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms open to the outside but our room was in the back so road noise was not an issue.

Most amenities were updated. Room had a faint "old" smell, but not unbearable at all. Everything was in working order and beds were nice and comfy. Breakfast was good, except for the bacon which was too think and too well done. Overall, a good value for the price.

Road into town late 9PM, assigned a clean, comfortable room on the front side of the hotel. It was not very noisy with the room that close to the road. Check in staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the water hot. Plenty of towels to be had. The problem was at breakfast, the food was hot and plentiful and the milk was cold, but one of the hotel employees with a bad cold and a runny nose came into the breakfast area, went around the corner and blew their nose for what seemed like five minutes. TERRIBLE and NASTY. They then poured a cup of milk , drank it, then took the milk container and two boxes of cereal back to their table and ate leaving the container on the table. Then rudolph red nose hotel employee blew their nose again. Check out went smoothly and down the road we went, they even gave us a newspaper. Good place to stay.

I have stayed at this hotel once a week for the past 4weeks and will be staying at this hotel once a week for business. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are great. It has been a pleasure staying here thus far. The location is optimal for the business I do.

Wish we had more than one night at this lovely location and comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast contained several choices of hot and cold breakfast foods. The room was fairly large with a comfortable king-size bed and chair.

We got stuck in Show Low on our way to Greer on our honey moon. We have nothing but good things to say about everyone we encountered, especially at the Best Western. We were welcomed with kindness and speedy service. They understood our situation and made it less stressful for us to be having to make alternate travel plans. I was part of a group on deployment in eastern AZ. The hotel was a nice quiet clean place to put your head down. It is very conveniently located and within reach of neighbouring towns. Having spent the previous night in St. John, this was a welcome break

Room felt clean. Lobby was tidy and clean. This is a motel style property, so the room access is directly from the outside, not from a hallway. Despite this, the room was quiet and comfortable. No gym or pool that we found, but that's okay. We would stay here again.

Stayed at this BW while we were fly fishing Silver Creek. Very nice for the price and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and had a good variety of hot and cold items. Very friendly staff. Will stay there again. This last part I'm adding because the format requires 200 words.

We chose this particular hotel because of its close proximity to the auto dealership that we needed to use. The hotel was recommended to us by the tow-truck driver and companion and was as they said. Very clean and pet friendly.

We had a great experience. the room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaints were the low shower pressure and the bed was very firm, but we like a soft bed. we had a fireplace room and it was a great addition to our trip.

The hotel is very nice and has a history to go with it. It has been upgraded somewhat but could install new shower heads. The lobby is very cozy and clean. The internet is slow so don't expect to use it for any large downloads.

We spent two nights at this Best Western and were very pleased. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast offered some hot items and the staff was friendly. No complaints!

Was very pleased with the room and staff. Helpful in pointing out great places to eat. Will definetly stay there again! We checked out all the available hotels on Yelp as we were driving into town and we were very happy to find Paint Pony Lodge had wonderful revues. This was or last stop on our way into Mesa and the staff even helped me load my daughter wheelchair into the car in the morning when we left.

the stay was very warm and pleasant the customer service was awesome the hostess in front desk hospitality Sandy , she put a smile on our faces she tended our every need and had a family warm attitude , makes us want to come back again , housekeeping was kind and gave us our soaps and towels at an excellent time. The breakfast was more than great , waffle maker coffee , biscuits and gravy eggs , sausage, OJ even the healthy stuff in a great setting with flat screen tv to watch the weather , the lobby has a great fireplace setting , was warm and they lend us an ice scraper to knock the beautiful snow off the car. If you need to get away from city life and noise , stress , come stay in show low at the best western paint pony Lodge , they will treat you good and the rooms are nice and clean the bedding pillows and beds were so comfortable , excellent location near the shops and town . Very spacious rooms (the queen suite) with all the amenities, restaurants and stores close by! Easy access and plenty of parking. A great mexican restaurant next door. Very pet friendly with walking areas to exercise dogs.

Fairly to modernly good motel to stay at for one night. First of all we were looking for an economical and affordable place to stay for the night and this motel was recommended for a family member. We were advised that the place was a bit cold so we contact the motel during our reservation and request for more blanket and they were more than willing to accommodate us. We were happy about this.

My wife and I had a nice stay here during the Christmas holiday. We brought our dog with and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our room was clean and well kept during our stay. We did not try the breakfast so I cannot comment. The WIFI was okay and did not have any major slowness. Will definitely stay here again when we return to visit Show Low.

Traveling with an English Bulldog is tricky when finding Hotels and this one was so easy to book and check in. Lobby and staff nice, breakfast filling with some variety and the nicest lady, Peggy, hosting. Room looked and smelled clean, exterior was swept daily and bed was comfortable. Value was good, and we would stay there again next trip.

We were really pleased with our stay. The room was clean and the heat was on, the bathroom was spotless. The clerk was super nice and very helpful. We ate next door at Lucinos and had a great dinner. The complimentary breakfast was good,they have coffee and tea all the time.

We always stay here when driving through Show Low. Clean, hot breakfast, great staff. They take dogs with is important to us. Great beds and large rooms. The rooms are decorated nicely. I highly recommend Best Western Painted Pony Lodge in Show Low Arizona.

Don't let the age of this facility fool you. Our room was completely refurbished from the front door to the tile in the bathroom and everything in between, new carpet, shower, sink, furniture, bed, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Nice flat screen TV. Free Wi-Fi. Check out the pictures on their website. We were greeted like family when we arrived with warm cookies right out of the oven, ice water w/lemon, coffee, or hot chocolate. Loved the way the lobby was decorated. Breakfast was good, food was hot and fresh. Everyone was super friendly. As a bonus, there is a great restaurant right next door that you can walk to.

This motel was great. The room was very large and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff was extremely helpful. We had a problem with our little dog and they were very helpful in helping us try to find a vet late on a Saturday night. We would recommend this motel to anyone!!

We were very surprised at the cleanliness of this hotel. Our room was more updated that we expected. Our room was on the ground floor and it was quiet. Be aware there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. We looked at the breakfast but skipped, standard fare. Considering Show Low is a small town, we were very pleased.

Friendly staff, great environment, good breakfast. Would stay here every time. I stay at this hotel often, the staff are friendly and seem to enjoy what they do. The breakfast is free and a great bargain. They have waffles, fruit, muffins, biscuits, eggs, or just cereal if you want.

This was a very nice Hotel. Very clean everything is up to date no missing lampshades no mismatch furniture everything worked . Peggy the woman that was working at the breakfast bar, was very kind and sweet I highly recommend this hotel not like all the other ones we've had the unfortunate experience at staying at. I just wish there was a way of finding out who owns and runs the various hotels we've stayed at on this trip this is the first one that was not on by Middle Easterners that's why everything works and is clean and maintained.

We are a group of 10 cars, made reservations months in advance. When we arrived not all rooms were ready. Had to wait while most of our group were registered. NOT like they were not expecting us. Gave NO priority to having our rooms ready when we arrived. If you are a group, pass on this ill managed motel.

My room was superb! Well decorated, roomy and comfortable. Even had a fireplace. Breakfast was tasty, well presented, clean and plentiful. I would prefer having bacon once in awhile instead of the link sausage, but I'm not complaining! The staff is super friendly and helpful.

My family stayed here and we totally enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room. Nice comfortable beds and tastefully decorated room. The breakfast was excellent every morning. I highly recommend this hotel.

Super clean, super comfortable, nice breakfast. Sink and bathroom were real up to date. Just avoid the rush for breakfast...the breakfast area is just not large enough to handle a high volume of people.

We went up to Show Low to look at my brothers new property and had to stay in a nearby hotel/motel. This little motel met our needs easily. It is in a great location to see the surrounding areas and is a clean property. It isn't a resort so don't plan on that. But if you want a clean, reliable lodge then this is your ticket. We will stay again when in the area.

The room was large but no comfortable furniture. Bed was average. Breakfast area is way undersized. Many guests standing and waiting for a place to sit. Probably the best thing about this property is that it is right next door to an excellent restaurant.

trip advisor stated there no other hotels available, our AAA discount was already applied-we way overpaid for 2 nights and the hotel parking lot was never full-over $200.00. will never use trip advisor again

Got in late and checked in without any issues. Friendly staff, lobby clean, bright and inviting. Although the hotel is older everything was in great working order, clean rooms, quiet, close to rain road. Breakfast was typical BW; good food quick and hot.

What a great experience we had from a nice large room, to a cozy attmosphere. The staff were very warm and friendly. The staff took time to say 'hello' and check on our needs when we saw them. The hotels towels were big and made of quality thickness (that is where some hotels skip but we like nice towels). The bed was comfortable for us! The reasteraunt next door allowed our dogs on their patio and offered us the exact same quality service that anyone got. We ate there 3 times and we were happy with prices and service and the outstanding food! Thank you for allowing well behaved dogs into your establishment!
