A Memorable Hotel Experience
A Memorable Hotel Experience
Pros: Close to retail shopping (if wanted), not far from downtown either Building upkeep is nice, decor matches the Santa Fe lifestyle. GM and front desk staff are nice! Comfortable queen bed in standard room. King bed in studio was firm. Mini fridge is not the tiny cube fridge. AC works well. No issues with hot water in shower. Cons: Noise. From the street noise to the interior noise... this just killed the experience. Traffic on this street is terrible. Loud mufflers, cars speeding all day, hard to get out of the parking lot at times. Forget about having the balcony open on the second floor facing the street, you won't be able to hold a conversation with the traffic noise and the sliding door is not thick enough to drown it out. Kids constantly running in the halls, stomping all over. The doors SLAM so loud I haven't slept well in days. It starts at 6am with the door slamming and believe me.. they SLAM and you'll hear it ALL DAY. I can feel my wall shake from the doors slamming on the floor under me, and when the neighbor closes theirs.. oh boy.. my entire headboard shakes me awake. Even the door from the room across the hall shakes my bedroom walls. Poor framing job I suppose. Unable to rest, we had to switch hotels which is a bummer considering the room is actually nice. Suite rooms also had a tiny restroom, the door almost hits the toilet. If you're a big guy.. might want to ask for a regular room. If your room is under one of those suites, you will hear the stomping amplified since the floor there is LVT (fake wood style). It looks nice, but is not sound deadening. I even heard the person showering on top of us, the water hitting the tub.
Had to be move because of a loud barking dog across the hall, almost stepped in dog crap twice on the interior steps. Smells like dogs. Staff did respond appropriately to resolve the problems but it seems that the dogs run the show at this kennel.
We stay in a lot of Best Westerns because we appreciate the value they offer - and this was no exception. The room was clean and comfortable, if not somewhat outdated. The staff was helpful and courteous. The free hot breakfast buffet was thoroughly adequate. We appreciated that a lot in a city where you can't swing a dead cat without hitting 3 hipster eateries with inflated prices. The hot tub and pool were nice and clean and well maintained. The only thing that wasn't great was the location - a ways from the plaza and downtown attractions, and next door to a pawnshop. If you're looking for a storybook getaway, this may not be the place for you. But if you need a reliable place to sleep that's affordable, it's the real deal.
Staff was very friendly and called ahead so that we could check in early after a very long road trip and just needed to relax and unwind before enjoying the beautiful Santa Fe. The room was clean and we were upgraded.
The hotel overall is acceptable, but it could use a makeover. The breakfast offered a variety of foods, but that menu never changes. Fresh coffee is provided in the mornings, but late in the day they have a portable machine, which make really bad coffee.
Well appointed SW style rooms, with all the amenitis and in a very convienent location for those not wanting to stay in the congestion of downtown. Convienent location for many restaurants, shopping and interesting shopping.
Checked into a handicap room 106. Small room but nice. Very dark motif. My wife called it the Dark Dungeon. Very nice shower. One queen bed. Kinda tight quarters, can't imagine it would be conducive to a wheel chair. very small refrigerator with no freezer. We need a freezer for ice packs for our cooler. Bed was comfortable. Occasional chair with a footstool. Breakfast above average. The biscuits and gravy were the best I've ever had in a hotel breakfast. Sturdy luggage carts. Lots of homeless in the area but felt safe here. We would stay again.
I was in Santa Fe to take the Stargazer night train, so I wanted a place to stay that was both comfortable and safe. The Inn of Santa Fe was perfect. Great staff, beautiful room, and lots of guest amenities (pool, fitness center, etc.) Parking can get a bit tight, but the security person was very helpful in finding a spot. Overall, a great place to stay!
We booked this last minute when we chose not to make the drive to Denver. We have stayed at other BW Plus hotels and we found this one to be comparable. Our room was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is much better than a continental breakfast but not quite as good as a Hyatt Place or Embassy Suites. But definitely good variety, good quality and clean.
This hotel is in need of a remodel the room had a terrible odor, electrical plug-in fell off the wall when I tried to use it. The room was really small with 2 queen beds, and it was dark and needs updating. I thought the hotel was overpriced for how old it is, however, it's Santa Fe. I did report the odor to the front desk, and they did offer to have us change room's however my husband was so tried from driving 12 hours we stayed in the room. At least the beds were comfortable.
The room was what we expected from a Best Western. We like the decor and the breakfast. We were able to park close to the elevator. The front desk was very nice and helpful. The beds were comfy, clean and the room was spacious.
This hotel was a real gem. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and colorful and we loved the bed and Roman shower. The breakfast and coffee was great and the rate was very fair.
Very nice property. Room was immaculate, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, well prepared, and selection was varied…fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and self-made waffles, along with a variety of juices, dry cereals, fresh fruits, and breads
Exceptionally clean, staff very professional, yet warm and welcoming. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was great, just like home. Rates were a very pleasant surprise. This will now be our hotel when we visit Santa Fe.
Great 2 day visit. Everything was fantastic. Megan at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. She gave me a welcome package of water and cookies. My suite was fantastic. Clean and roomy with a balcony. The bathroom was superb!! The breakfast was substantial. Great fitness center. Everything was clean and inviting. What a great value. If you don't stay here it's your own fault!!
Checked in to our room and was upgraded, the breakfast offered was done well Overall the value revived was very good The staff were helpful and friendly, room was clean and comfortable Would stay there again if travelling through the area
We stayed here one night with our dog. The room was very clean and everything was in good working order. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to us and our dog. We had a jacuzzi tub in our and it was clean and nice,
This is the second time I've stayed at this Best Western Plus and have been pleased both times. Check in was quick and easy, and all customer service representatives were friendly throughout the stay. Rooms are clean, and unlike some hotels now, housekeeping come every day if you prefer, and you don't have to go out of your way to request it. I spoke to a couple of the housecleaning staff and they were very nice too. The breakfast had a good selection and was well kept and the area was clean. Also restaurants and shops in the area. Was surprised at how close they were to Meow Wolf. I recommend this hotel!
Hadn't tried a Best Western before…travel wit our little dogs and didn't know they were pet friendly. Loved our room, wonderfully clean, great mattress and pillow selection, pet walk area outs outside, nice breakfast, really good coffee and nice welcoming staff. We will definitely be back!
One of my favorite Best Westerns. Very friendly experienced staff. Beautiful southwest decor. Good location. I tried Firehouse subs nearby...easy walk...really great food. Looking forward to my next stay.
Second time staying here. Very convenient location. Great value for the price. Friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was expected for hotel breakfast. Nice indoor pool area. Plenty of parking!
We have been staying at this BW PLUS in Santa Fe for 20+ years as we make frequent trips from CO to AZ. The service at this hotel is consistently very good. The staff never disappoints. When we arrive, we always feel like we are coming home. Pets welcome Facility and rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast room and options are above average.
Front desk is rude. I called to book a suite and was told that the foldout couch would fit both my kids, it was a queen or full. When I arrived it was a twin sized foldout couch. It was nasty and we could barely get it out. Both my kids got cut on the bed. The front desk didn't have rollaway beds or other rooms available. My 4 year old slept on cushions on the floor. The carpet is coming up and nails poke through. The windows are so thin that they sound like they are open. I don't know how there are so many good reviews unless they are fake. This place is expensive considering how dated and in disrepair things are.
The staff is top notch. The room exceptonally clean. The furnishings (rm 203) a bit dated/scrathed. The Heating system had a noisy drive fan....but had a really comfortable mattress that made up for iit! (we just shiut the heating system off for the night). Management was notified upon departure the next morning. We plan to return in a few days. It REALLY is a nice place to stay.
This hotel had rude front desk staff. The lady was very short and unfriendly during check-in. She was not interested in answering questions. The room was very poorly lit. The bath tub was quite dirty with hair and gunk. I expected more from best western.
Good hot breakfast, good HD tv service, room a bit dated but clean and comfortable. DoorDash delivers to this hotel which was good. Fridge AND Microwave was welcome, since I've been in some BW's that did not have the microwave.
Very nice hotel. comfortable beds, very good breakfast nice clean room. We have stayed at this hotel before and always have a great experience here. The property is very clean and the rooms are well kept. We will stay here next time we are in Santa Fe.
Our room was small but fine for one night. We slept very good, however breakfast was another story. They advertise a full American breakfast until 9:00. We went in at 8:30 and they had eggs, Chile sauce, bread, and cereal with no bowls. The place was full but they were not bringing out refills for the food and there was no meat. They closed the breakfast at 8:45. When I inquired at the desk, all I got was they were out. No apologies. I was a very disappointed customer and it will most definitely influence future choices of where to stay.
using a free night we were given a suite with a hot tub, large room and quiet, cool decor, and great breakfast, try their sausage bowl, beats alot of local restaurants, very nice property, will stay again
Really enjoyed my one night stay in one of their suites. It featured a bedroom and separate "living room" (although no door between the two). I liked that there was a tv in each area (and totally agree with the reviewer that gave extra points for the tv channel lineup...you don't see that much anymore!) and a small kitchen area in the living room that had its own sink, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. I especially liked that my room had a balcony so I was able to get some fresh air. Very nice decor and comfortable bedding as well. The location was just ok. It worked for us as we were simply heading to the Albuquerque airport the next day. But it was far from the downtown plaza (took us at least 20 minutes to get there in the late afternoon approaching rush hour). It was, however, convenient to supermarkets, drug stores and other major chains though.
From check in until check out, I was happy with my stay. I was greeted promptly upon arriving in the lobby and recognized as an Elite Member. Check in was super smooth and I was off to my room. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was fantastic. Internet service was great. Breakfast was fine. The property was quiet. Check out was just as smooth as check in. I will definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for a week while visiting Santa Fe and surrounding area. Hotel was clean and pleasant. Our room did show some water damage in ceiling that should be repaired. Breakfast was good except for the scrambled eggs (powdered?). Pool and hot tub are nice. Would certainly stay here again if in the area.
The Hotel was located about 10 minutes from the Tourist areas of Central Santa Fe. Check in was easy and the parking lot was well lit and close to multiple doors. The room, one King, was good size with a comfortable bed, chair, and TV. Located on the 2nd floor you can either use the elevator of stairs to get to room. Breakfast was ok and adequate for my needs with cereals, oatmeal, eggs and sausage, yogurt etc. An affordable stay.
If you appreciate interior design then this is the place for you! Additionally the staff and rooms will more than meet your expectations! The very nicest room we have ever encountered at BW and the most helpful staff team!
We stayed here for the first two nights of our Santa Fe trip (we were there to attend a wedding and had to change hotels). Although on a very busy street, we had a room on the side with no traffic noise at all. Getting back-and-forth to "downtown" Santa Fe was easy. Tons of restaurants on Cerrillos Road. We were in a decent-sized two-queen room. The bathroom was small with very little counterspace around the sink for toiletries. The shower was very good. Breakfast was very diverse, with 4 hot dishes, which pretty much changed every day. There is a small indoor swimming pool. The biggest plus? A card listing all the TV stations (hardly ever see this anymore).
Terrible odor in room Internet never worked even from reception. Breakfast was horrible. Potatoes not fully cooked & barely warm! Eggs watery not fully cookedVery expensive ~ don't stay here... Extremely expensive other BW across country were half the price & much nicer!
We booked here specifically as we are on a long road trip and needed the guest laundry, which was mentioned on the website. We asked if there was another laundry and were told no. It's an important feature for some guests and should have been fixed same day. The Hotel was very full. There was a stain on the white bedspread and I wondered if they are laundered between each guest. The cleaner got nosy and knocked on our door when the do not disturb sign was on the door and kept trying to look past me to see into the room, We found a short and curly silver hair on the sofa, not ours. It was OK, bed was comfortable but the air con was very noisy.
The room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Standard amenities you would expect to find in a hotel - tv, mini fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker, what have you. Breakfast was good, and the dining room was open until 10AM - nice if you like to sleep in, but, still grab a bite before checking out. My only knock on this place is the general location. I walked down a few blocks to a shopping center to get dinner. I wouldn't recommend doing this. It was a little sketchy. It didn't seem to spill over onto the BW property, and certainly not the fault of BW. But, if you like to do a walkabout when you stay, be careful.
Really enjoyed the night that we stayed at this location. Rooms were compact, but, very clean. Everything was in good working order, and the staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit. Breakfast has a great selection of options.
We loved our stay at the Best Western in Santa Fe! The room was very clean and beautifully updated with a Santa Fe look. Our room was cleaned with a freshly made bed and linens every day...a rarity these days! The price was excellent as well.
Great stay. Pet friendly, Delicious breakfast and coffee included. Was close to the dealership where my car was being serviced due to a transmission breakdown. Shopping and dining within the area. Would visit again.
I love this hotel, because it is clean, comfy, friendly, quiet, safe, especially safe for solo travelers. The breakfasts are great and sumptuous! All the staff are very helpful! View from the rooms in the back is great!
Homeless person fixed themselves a plate using dirty hands and staff did very little to discourage him to come back. Matter of fact, they said it happens all the time and cops won't do anything. So I will not be staying at a place that is unsafe.
We spent one night here recently. Our room was clean and quiet, first floor. The window opened for fresh air. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was typical, with two kinds of eggs and brown and serve sausage, biscuits and gravy, and waffles for the hot foot. A selection of cereals and other cold food items were available as well. Service was fine. Recommend.
Rates have jumped dramatically in Santa Fe, NM, so I was looking for the best rate I could find while still staying in a well-kept motel. I was quite pleased, never having stayed here before. Clearly it's an older hotel, but it has been refurbished and refurnished well, the rooms were good-sized and well-appointed. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We would stay here again.
I have stayed at this property before, especially before the dreaded Covid. It was nice to be back. The rooms are nice, and the pool is delightful. Hope to be back next year for another visit to the Santa Fe Opera
My husband and I used BW points for our stay at this property. Asked for a top floor quiet room. We were given a large quiet room at the end of the hall on the top floor. Room and bathroom could use some updating as well as a different mattress. Breakfast was hot and tasty. All and all a pleasant stay.
High end stay in a private balcony King Suite. The cooler was a little far from the rest of the room so we wished there was a secondary temperature control. Otherwise the stay was great, breakfast was good! And having our own balcony was really nice!
We were visiting from out of state with a small family group including two preteens. We looked at doing an Air Bnb but for the price and amenities couldn't beat this hotel. We rented a two bedroom suite and it was the perfect size. The pool was inside and included a hot tub; the hours were great and it was clean, with towels in the pool area. The breakfast was as good as a restaurant if not better the staff refilling it was so kind and paid close attention. There was a microwave and mini fridge so we ate meals at the hotel. The staff was all so friendly! The location couldn't be beat. Easy drive to the Plaza, Meowwolf, and Pecos Historical park.
The ac leaked and the carpeting was soaked. The hotel didnt offer us a new room and we were there 3 days. They didnt come fix or try to fix the problem. Coffee maker leaked water all over the table, it needed to be replaced and they said they would bring us another one the next day but did not. Said they would give us a discount on the bill but I have not seen that as of yet.
Very clean, affordable accommodations in Santa Fe during high season. Very nice decor. Friendly accommodating staff that allowed me to check in early. Convenient location yet quiet. Easy parking. Good choices for breakfast
Rooms clean and very comfortable. Staff very friendly! Quiet - no outside noise. Close to restaurants. Traveling alone I felt very comfortable and safe. Highly recommend especially for solo travelers.
The hotel had a horrible musty smell and the carpets were wet and sticky. When we complained, we were given lysol to help with the smell. It didn't work. The bathroom also smelled of old dirty water and the humidity in the room would not allow anything to dry. We were given an option to move to another room but it had the same issues with another can of lysol. Also, when turning on the heater it set off the fire alarm due to the smoke. When we complained, we were told it was ok just do it again and open the window.. .uhh NO! It was freezing cold outside and raining! Overall NOT worth the price we paid! For what we paid we should've just stayed closer to the center!
Second stay here. Both stays here were cleanly and enjoyable. The bed is comfortable. Enjoyed the balcony for breakfast and the seating area in the room for dinner. Cozy environment. Would recommend to stay here.
We always stay here when in Santa Fe. We generally get the room we request which is pretty quiet. Hotel is dog friendly too with ample space too walk around at night. Not the best part of town, but I have never felt unsafe. Breakfast is decent. Never used the pool.
We only stayed here one night but found the room clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed, quiet room. Mini fridge worked well and was quiet. Free breakfast included chorizo, scrambled eggs, and sausage Pattie's as well as a soft taco bar. Pool was being renovated.
The room had black mold in it! It was not safe and affected the health of my family. Once we discovered it, we realized why we had been feeling so ill. Horrible service from the manager and an overall terrible experience
Love this hotel. Room decor is great and jacuzzis tub is a lot of fun. The breakfast area is abit cramped but we always go outside past the pool to eat. Prices can be high but it is Sante Fe and if you have a car the town square is a quick ride. Also this hotel is near a great biking trail.
Older hotel that appears to be "renovated". Upon arriving the front desk staff was not too welcoming. We stayed in a two room suite. The room furthest from the air conditioner stayed warm. The faucet in the bathtub constantly dripped. The room/furnishings were worn but clean. Bathroom was extremely small, but lavatory area was located on the outside of the bath so it made it convenient for multiple people getting ready. The road noise was loud but subsided during the nighttime hours. We didn't care for the blinds on the windows - let in a lot of light during the day and street lights at night. Would have preferred something that blocked the light a little more. Breakfast was good.
I reserved a balcony room. I requested that the room be on the top floor and facing away from the road. What did I get? Second floor facing the road. Ok. But it gets better! The rooms with balconies, that go for $200+ a night, are all at the front of the hotel above the entrance. So you get to hear everyone check in! Sweet. And the bed is right by the window! Smart. But that's not all! There is also a super bright spotlight that faces the balcony rooms that face the busy street. Whatever, just shut the drapes, right? No drapes! Slatted blinds, and the doors don't quite close, so there are beams of light that shine on the bed. Awesome!! But wait, there's more!!! In the parking lot a stones throw from the balcony there is a 24-hour automatic ice dispenser!!!! It doesn't get much better than this. Yeah, won't be back to this hotel or the overpriced tacky-pretentiousness that is Santa Fe.
Was surprised at the overall upkeep, even the stairwells were clean. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful. It's close to meow wolf. The pool is was good size and they have a hot tub. The only suggestions I have are to fix shower head and maybe clean the pool deck floor better. Breakfast was tasty. Worth the slightly higher price in the area.
An OK place to stay, out of town and away from the traffic. Sure wish there was at least a take away breakfast. The offerings were an apple and granola bar, no coffee no tea. Lots of parking was an advantage.
We traveled from hiking at Bisti Badlands to ABQ for a flight back to Seattle, and stayed at BW Plus for one night. The property has very nice Santa Fe style (Pueblo style), such as in our quest room, hallways, and even the dinning room for breakfast. Compared to other hotels, the property is ``old fashioned'' (e.g., not many USB plugs), but clean and has a lot of parking.
Hotel stay was excellent. They met all our needs-free breakfast, laundry room, clean hotel and room, friendly and hospitable staff. Loved the room decorations which made me feel at home. Pet friendly!
Property could use some updates overall. Breakfast buffet was decent but same meat selection of sausage links everyday. Television bit mapped each day but was probably a Comcast provider issue. Rooms were a little small than Choice Hotel rooms we usually stay in but this was pet friendly and was main reason for our decision to stay.
I have fallen in love with Best Western Plus and now always look for them. They seem new, clean, beautiful, comfortable, great beds and showers, plenty of room, good price, super staff. They have been good to accept my Therapy Dog at no extra fee. This hotel was one of my favorites!
Comfortable rooms, great service. Small bathrooms are a bit problematic if you are older. Breakfast was excellent and food could be taken to rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Quiet location. No restaurants within walking distance, but short drive away.
Quick summary: comfortable, clean, quiet room and many amenities one expects of BW Plus hotels. Friendly, professional staff. Short drive to historic center of Santa Fe. Friendly, professional staff. Very good breakfast. We are on a road trip to the West Coast. We stayed in room 214, that has two queen comfy beds and pillows. The room decor and public areas are very attracive with Southwest decor. This was a mini suite room with sofa and coffee table. Amenities typical of what makes us love BW properties: fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron/board, good work desk and chair, plugs for your digital gizmos. 3-drawer chest and closet. Combination tub/shower with nice toiletries. Complimentary wfi and HVAC work well. Very clean room. Very good breakfast of hot and cold items, e.g. eggs, sausage, breads and pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit, juices. I love the biscuits. Friendly, professional staff throughout. TV with lots of channels, and a crib card for the more popular channels. Other hotels to take note: I LOVE this so that I don't have to scroll through 100+ channels to find what I'm looking for. Attractive glassed-in pool area looks clean, and people enjoying themselves. A number of restaurants are in the area, and it is a short drive to the historic downtown of Santa Fe. Lovely stay, and we'd be happy to stay here again.
Great place to stay in Santa Fe if you are looking for an affordable option for a family. Close driving distance to the Farmer's Market/Railyard District, the Plaza, and other sites to see in Santa Fe. Room was clean and bed/linens were comfortable. Hot breakfast could use a little more variety, but was good overall.
Went on ski trip and what an amazing Southwest style room I was in. The decor along with the feel of the room is very welcoming and different than the same old same old you get from other hotels. I mean sometimes you need the comfort of that very linear approach and when I have been driving 600-700 miles I don;t want any surprises and love the JW vibe for this reason. (No offense BW). And I will still stay at BW properties I am familiar with even on one night quick stops. But for an extended stay this property fit real good. I feel bad that this beautiful place is in such a kind of run down area. Come on NM take better care of your residents. I saw so much poverty it sickens me and yet you grandstand with that beer bug the most so far out of every state I have been through this year. And yet poor people walk around so hopeless. Cerrilos used to be so quaint 5 years ago. Now it just feels creepy.
Good quiet hotel. Nothing special. Nice that they allow pets. We stay here any time we are in Santa Fe. It would be nice if the surrounding area was cleaner and less sketchy, but I feel safe walking the dog around outside late at night.
The staff was friendly, helpful and had loads of great ideas for cycling adventures for us in the area. They made us feel like part of their family. They stored our bikes for us in a locked room so we didnt have to lug them up to our room. The beds were very comfortable and the place was spotless. Breakfast was also very good they even had fresh fruit.
The hotel is located near the main road, so there are many restaurants and gas stations nearby. Easy access to Old Town Santa Fe and I-25 freeway. The room is large and clean. Highly recommended this hotel in Santa Fe.
Southwest decor, rooms nicely appointed, ample space in rooms. Good access for vehicles outside, convenient inside areas. Public PC, good hot breakfast options, nice late check-out policy. TV remotes somewhat redundant and baffling. In-room conveniences like refrig., micro, room air controls are good.
+Facilities were clean +Breakfast was good +Competitively priced +Staff was polite and service was good -Southwest decor throughout the hotel that in the rooms is a bit too dark for my taste especially after several days of staying there -You are on a busy road that a times depending on where your room is you can hear some noise -
I love Best Western hotels and they are staffed with caring professionals that do their best to make our stays nice and comfortable. We'll always do our best to stay at a Best Western over another hotel chain. Blessings and best regards, Chris & Debbie Sedona, Az
I always feel safe here because there is plenty of lighting outside around the property and the parking lot. The parking is also convenient and access to the elevator is never an issue. This is my go to hotel in Santa Fe.
We've come to count on Best Western for their consistency in service, cleanliness, nice accomodations, good breakfast, and reasonable pricing, plus having the amenities we prefer. Some places you just don't know for sure what you are getting but BW seems to be consistently appealing.
Beautiful room with southwest decor. Beds were beyond comfortable! Plenty of room to move around. Front desk clerk was awesome and even offered to store our mountain bikes for us. Full breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage links, country potatoes, waffles, etc. I'd definitely stay here again!
Well appointed south western style. What one would hope for in Santa Fe with all of the charm and amenities one would hope for in Santa Fe and seldom finds. Pet friendly is a big plus! Lovely lobby and all the extras from exersize room to office area with a printer that really works. The grounds are kept well with outdoor seating for a nice "get away" space.
Room is ok. Pillows were terrible….bring your own. Heating and cooling system loud. Bathroom ridiculously small. Shower could not be adjusted. It was like staying in a dorm with all of the door slamming and loud people in the hall. The ‘free' breakfast was awful. It was cold and tasteless. There was a lot of street noise and the shutters on the sliding door to the balcony did not close enough to prevent light from the surrounding buildings from coming in.
This Best Western has a family suite option that is awesome! The suite has 2 rooms, balcony, great hot breakfast with lots of options. The pool and hot tub open until 11 pm!! balcony, great friendly staff. We loved it!
Our stay at the Best Western was absolutely wonderful! We felt very safe and well cared for from checking in, to their delicious breakfast, to check out! All appropriate COVID precautions are followed by all!
We stopped in Santa Fe before going to Albuquerque NM for the Hot Balloon Fiesta. Toilets are very low and rugs in hall and rooms need to be replaced as they look tired. Service was excellent during our 2 night stay and will rewards we had breakfast both days. Nice menu and again service was great.
The Santa Fe Best Western was clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There was one major gap, however: in complete violation of the New Mexico state mandate, many guests would congregate in the lobby and walk the hallways without masks. The fact that the hotel would allow this--placing their valuable staff and other guests at risk--made this a very uncomfortable and even frustrating place to stay. I realize it's hard to police these things but for the sake of others' health it must be done.
A gorgeous room, a helpful staff and great breakfast options to get your day started pretty much does it for me. This inn is located near shopping and is just a short ride from the Plaza. And unlike the Plaza, parking is abundant. And free. : )
Location of hotel is great, room décor was very nice, clean premises, nice breakfast. Check in was quick and easy even though they did not recognize our status. The property was clean and well maintained. The pool and spa were nice. Would definitely stay again.
This hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff are professional and attentive. The southwestern decor us appropriate but not overwhelming. The one down side is the bathroom - the first room had the super low toilet that was hard form my 86 yr old mother to use (they quickly switched us to another room) but they still have bathtubs vs. walking showers.
Great central location for the things I wanted to do in the Santa Fe area, including day trips out of Santa Fe. The motel was great with a good breakfast and a nice indoor pool and hot tub. The room was comfortable and quiet. No problem for me and my wife but the motel, at this time, does not provide room cleaning unless specifically asked for. Just need towels, which were readily available at the front desk. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
The stay was super nice, we were only able to stay one night but would come back and enjoy it for more time when we can. Our room was super comfy and clean, water pressure and temperature was great. The indoor pool was a decent size and it wasn't overly humid like most are. We loved that everything was themed because it gave it a more cozy bed and breakfast type of feeling. Absolutely no issues, staff was friendly, and we were able to do an express check out and go visit Meow Wolf (which is right down the road) and head home. It's super close to a lot of shops and yummy restaurants.
We recently stayed at this hotel. The room was cleaned and well stocked and the entire staff of this hotel were some of the nicest people ever! Pro Tip - the rooms have windows that open, select a 2nd or 3rd floor room so that you can open safely and let the cool night and morning air inside!
We stayed here one night on a trip to take the grandkids to Meow Wolf. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Every part of the hotel was immaculate. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Rooms were comfortable and spacious with brand new mattresses on the beds. Very quiet and the free breakfast had lots of hot and cold choices and was kept going with all you could eat. Location was perfect.
The perfect hotel for a 1 night stay in Santa Fe. Only five minutes (driving) from the galleries and great restaurants. Front desk staff is helpful and very professional! Rooms have great water pressure and plenty of hot water! Always a plus in today's world.
The bed in our room was remarkably comfortable. The only downside, very minor, was lack of water pressure in the lavatory sink. Shower was great; the room was immaculate, and all the staff we encountered were pleasant and professional. Even though we were on the ground floor (by request) the room was quiet and comfortable. Was there as a an official at a horse show at Hipico west of town, and the nearness to the facility was a real plus.
I have lived in Santa Fe and visited numerous times so I know how expensive hotels and visiting can be. This is a very nice hotel for the price. Most hotels similar quality are much more money a night. The location is not as close to the Plaza however very close to many restaurants and basic shopping needs like grocery stores, pharmacy, and gas stations. The décor is traditional southwest with a Santa Fe feel. The pool is indoor but has many windows so it is nice a light. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Overall good location with variety of restaurants, shopping areas and grocery stores nearby. Facility just needs update with improvement on such as bigger bathrooms and drawers accessibility. Nice accommodation in room with refrigerator and microwave, however a safe would be a great feature to have. Did not use any fitness facility or swimming pool. Friendly staff.
I used points for this stay and am very happy with property. The front desk ladies & breakfast attendant were very friendly & helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I would suggest a room in the back to not hear the occasional car racing down the road the hotel is on. Good location. I am in the travel industry & I would not hesitate to send a client here.
Barking dogs and people smoking weed in the hall. Gave an extra star to be nice. Afraid to go to sleep as there are several people lurking around the parking lot. Maybe breakfast in the morning will make up for this overpriced nightmare of a stay.
We booked a two room suite. The sofa bes touch was broken, but otherwise room was in good repair. Toilet are was very small compares to great of bathroom. Everything else was fine.. Pool worked, hot tub out of order
This is a nice property about 10-15 minutes (driving) from the historic area of Santa Fe. The rooms were clean and staff were nice. The only complaint I have is that the "two bedroom" unit didn't have two separated areas but not two bedrooms with doors. However, our stay was comfortable and it was a good place to stop for 2 nights.
Great location, room, very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Conveniently located to the historical part of Santa Fe. We enjoyed walking around the "square" even though understandably most of the locals were packed up and gone with their goods due to a freak hailstorm that occurred. Would recommend and stay again.
The staff was very welcoming. The room was not very clean and the stuffing was coming out of the sofa sleeper in the room and the sofa sleeper mattress was very soiled. Reported it. They were nice but just wrote it down -- did not offer to replace it or to reduced our bill. 'Suite' is a long stretch for this tiny room. You can't even turn around in the bathroom. I've never been in such a small suite. The breakfast was adequate but very cold. Room was hot, hot, hot and mattress was very hard. Overall would not stay here again given the chance.
We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Great service. Staff was excellent and helpful. Rooms were clean. You have to request for your room to be cleaned which was a bit annoying but they quickly came and emptied trash and brought towels even after housekeeping went home. Pool was fun, had to make reservations but kind of nice to have the pool to ourselves. Loved our stay.
The hotel was very clean and the decor was beautiful. Stayed in a huge 3rd floor deluxe room with a king sized bed. Extra bonus was a wet bar. Very quiet throughout hotel hallways and within the room. First time Best Western Plus Inn but it will be our choice in the future.
On our way to Arizona we stopped for a few hours of sleep at this dog-friendly hotel. It was clean, reasonably quiet, with comfortable beds. Easy to park and find off a major thoroughfare. Breakfast to go was an added bonus. Staff was helpful. We had a little trouble with the key system yet overall we were quite pleased.
Staying at this Best Western Hotel is a lovely experience. Although you cannot yet eat in breakfast room, they provide hot meal to take to your room. Rooms are well appointed and beautiful, bed is comfortable too!
This is a very nice hitel, and an excellent option if you intend to visit Santa Fe. While Santa Fe is a small town, and everything is close by, the hotel is conveniently located and provides easy access to the old town attractions.
This was a great place to stay. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a great suite that was large and comfortable. Of course, because of covid, the breakfast was somewhat scaled down. But it was still a very good place to stay.
Very pleased staying at this hotel, have found the rooms to be clean and all in working order, at a reasonable price. I have made return reservations at this hotel for that reason. In the fall when I have family visit I will recommend this place as I haven't had any issues. PLUS the decor is very nice in both the lobby and rooms.
The staff was courteous, the room was nicely appointed and super clean. The hotel was conveniently located. In light of COVID restrictions, they offered a pre-bagged "Grab n Go" sack of breakfast items that I thought was thoughtful and convenient. They also offered a nice assortment of breakfast items. The wifi worked fine. The room and hotel decor was charming and befitting the locale.
Very comfy room and convenient location from Santa Fe Studios where I am working with the film crew! I am happy about the room how comfy it is and the bed is very comfy too! Bathroom is comfy for one person! Will return again
We had a very quick check in, everyone is helpful. Room was clean and so was lobby. Elevator works fast and is also kept very clean. The outside is maintained and I feel safe leaving my vehicle in the parking lot.
We chose this location because they have a heated indoor pool, also love the southwestern ambiance and the freshness of the linens. Our queen room with sofa bed was too cramped compared to other room types I've stayed in at this hotel but overall good value.
Very nice room. Easy check in and grab b'day go breakfast. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Could use more plug in in the room for electronics. MAybe lamps that accommodate USE ports etc. Does have a pool.
Property looked very Southwest, lobby recently updated. There is a nice fitness center and the hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The Room:: shockingly the mattress was the worst I have experienced in many years, one can feel the springs, the pillows were lumpy and went flat. The lighting was dim & room extremely dark (cute arm chair), off putting odor. You can hear people walking above, but luckily, it was short lived . Nice shower decor. Room lighting could work for others.
Always stay here when we visit Santa Fe. Convenient, clean, and pet friendly. Executive suites are very nicely done and quiet too. Breakfast during COVID was grab-n-go. Muffin, water, granola bar, and fresh orange. Not bad
Nice hotel, reasonable price, close to downtown. walking distance to many restaurants. Ask for room away from street, can be very noisy by road. We were here during virus shutdowns, and did have grab and go breakfast (OK).
We were driving down the 25, tired and ready for a break. The price for a queen room was great. Clean, well equipped and 2 pretty good ‘grab and go' breakfasts. Next time, we would definitely stay again.
Well the keys didn't work twice. The air conditioner leaked water the main thing I wanted was the tub with jets excited filled it up and all this junk came out of the jets . So much for safety and clean . I am so upset . My hair is super mega short and black . I have a pixie cut. Even moore air conditioner leaks water on the floor . Horrible. Not safe at all to me .
This hotel was not located in old town but was well located to shopping centres and plenty of restaurants. The hotel was nicely furnished in New Mexico decor. The room was comfortable and warm. I didn't use the pool as it was winter but enjoyed relaxing I the hot spa. The breakfast buffet was very good and enjoyed the Christmas touches such as red and green M&Ms! Although as it was Christmas, the hotel was full and it was difficult to get a table at breakfast. Parking was convenient and there was a nice lounge area on the ground floor.
Staff was very courteous. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. I would 100% stay here again. Also, the location was in, what seemed to be, a nice part of town. And it was not too far from downtown.
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and CLEAN rooms. Nice location. Highly recommend considering this place. (should be enough of a review - ill type x's to get the minimum number of characters. xxxxxxxxx
Nice property easy check in. Lobby is well appointed. Room is nice and clean. We slept well; room quiet, dark and beds comfortable. Stayed two nights. Breakfast consist of water, fruit, granola bar in a sack.
We traveled in the area with our dogs, and it was nice to find a hotel that welcomed dogs. Check-in went smoothly, and though initially the air conditioner smelled a little musty (no doubt due to lack of use because of COVID), that cleared up quickly. We spent an extra few dollars for a deluxe room, which my big dog appreciated, as he slept on the couch right by the air conditioner. Our room was near an exit, which was convenient for dog potty purposes. They even provided doo-doo bags at the doors to make it easy to clean up after pets. The location is fairly central to Santa Fe, and while this was not a "posh" neighborhood I felt safe. The citrus shampoo/conditioner/lotion etc. samples they provided for use had a WONDERFUL fragrance. My only comment was on the breakfast bags provided - I get that a buffet is not possible due to COVID but the bags were not ideal. However, I think other hotels stopped providing breakfast altogether so there is that. Also our keys stopped working after the first night so we had to get them reprogrammed, which was irritating. But the water jugs in the fitness room were great to keep our dogs' water bowl filled. We did not interact with staff very much, though those we met were friendly. If we ever make it out to Santa Fe again we will definitely consider staying here again!
Pros: Parking was easy, room had a lounge seat and small side table, coffee in the lobby, front lobby had TV playing movies Cons: No microwave, lighting in room was somewhat dark, kind of far from historic Santa Fe
The overall hotel and room experience was good, but a roach will make it a deal breaker. The wife hates roaches and spiders, so this was not good. No complaint was made because we were tired and no energy from driving and traveling all day. We were just passing through to sleep and slept maybe 6 hours. I hope this is not common for this property.
First time traveling from AZ to MN with a dog. Wasn't sure what to expect re: dog friendliness. We asked for a ground room floor for easy outside access because our dog has never been in a hotel before (elevators, noises, etc). Plentiful green space for pups to walk and do their business and outside garbage cans for poop disposal. We saw at least 7-8 other pups but didn't hear any barking or noise from them. Bed was comfy, good shower water pressure. Hot breakfast was available (eggs, bacon, biscuits/gravy, fruit) and served cafeteria style by hotel staff with appropriate social distancing, plexiglass partitions. You could also opt for a Grab n Go bag.
Very kind and accomodative during an emergency trip during Covid 19, I had just traveled from Nevada with my son and we were very tired and needed a place to stay and we were greeted with a smile and extreme kindness.
How creative to give out grab and go bags during a pandemic which was your version of breakfast. For almost a $100 room rate me and my guest both got paper bags with three items. You would think with restaurants being open only for take out that management could be a little more creative and caring to offer more that a paper breakfast bag. Upon check in went straight to the lobby men's restroom. No soap in the dispenser to wash my hands during a pandemic. How wonderful! No ice bucket in room so used the small trash can. Lobby morning coffee tasted like cardboard. It takes more that a 15 million renovation to make a hotel which uses the word plus good. I certainly have no plans to be back.
The room and hotel were much nicer than I expected. Very comfortable and large room. The decor was cute and homey. The lobby was beautiful and the free breakfast was well stocked and attended to. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating.
We booked this BW last minute and got a decent rate for the middle of the week (less than $100). Beds are average, room is nice and the hotel is clean. Breakfast is your typical fare. Staff is pleasant. The fitness center is small but functional. FYI, the hotel is 5 miles from historic Santa Fe - an easy 15-20 drive. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - not too far from I-25.
We were met by a friendly, helpful desk clerk. She provided us with an upgrade. The room was clean, very comfortable and had everything thing we needed. The location is close to a variety of restaurants.
Over priced for it's location. Roms are clean, and parking is easy. Hotel itself is old, but rooms have been updated. Good security lighting, breakfast just so-so. Probabely will not stay there again. Hard to find entrance due to curb entry and road dividers.
Our stay in Santa Fe was memorable to say the least. We were welcomed graciously by the staff and enjoyed a pleasure stay while allowing time to visit Santuario de Chimayo. We took in a delicious Mexican lunch and dinner nearby. The comfort and ease of checking in and out was a breeze. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay a welcomed one.
We found the hotel a typical for the chain. The location for an overnight stay was decent. It is on a busy road, but we didn't hear any of the road noise. Breakfast area was adjacent to the indoor pool, which also served as an overflow area for the breakfast crowd. When kids were in the pool the noise intruded into the dining area.
Excellent hotel! Nice pool area, wonderful breakfast with a server/cook who is attentive and knowledgeable, very nice staff overall. Decor is very southwest - we loved it! Rooms were bright, comfortable, great parking accessibility. Wonderful experience! Will be back!
This Best Western location provided a relaxing stop during our travels through the area. One appreciated fact is it is quiet not being directly next to a major freeway. The staff were great and the environment was friendly. Enjoyed great conversations with other travelers in the hot tub area.
This motel is one of the best I have ever stayed in and I will gladly stay again every time I'm in Santa Fe. Super clean, super comfy and great value with very service oriented staff! Plus it close to many restaurants and things to do and see.
Great stay and convenient to lots of places that I needed to get to while I was there. Close to where I needed to be. I'll be back to stay with you folks again. I thought the breakfast was really good & the staff was excellent..
Great comfortable stay. Good breakfast. Lovely decor. Pleasant staff.will stay again. Most Bestwesterns are great. Comfort and secret. Can't rave enough everyone should stay here if in Sani hope all can stay here when in Santa Fe
We stay at this hotel whenever we are in Santa Fe. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. This hotel is very pet friendly and does not charge extra for pets! There is plenty of parking.
So I consider myself a hotel snob. I can be easily annoyed. I was a bit nervous about the good price on the Inn but it came recommended by a local. I was only there 2 nights. Read the reviews and figured I'll give it a try. My stay was excellent. The hotel is a bit dated but it had a Santa Fe feel. The rooms were clean and pillows and bed was great. All the amenities you'd expect. Staff was great. Super friendly and helpful. Cafe food was very good. Best chicken quesadilla EVER! The breakfast buffet was great. Everything you would want and more. Including fresh green chili. So look no further and take my advice if you want something a little different at a very good price.
This hotel is great very clean quiet management is very friendly my whole stay I had 0 issuess would recommend to all. Will stay there again I love that they have hot breakfast and are dog friendly as well.
What can I say. It's a Best Western. The breakfast was good. Paper plates and plastic utensils and a breakfast room not large enough to accommodate all the eaters. Looks like it caters to families. The room was nice. A note to dog owners. They accept dogs, but no place to walk them. I guess for the money it's a nice step above a Motel Six and a Super Eight. Great location and clean.
We stayed the week between Christmas and New Years (2019). We used the Best Western as a launching point to visit many locations in and around Santa Fe. This hotel was a perfect fit for our family of 3. We had a King Suite Room which felt like a one-bedroom apartment. Parents had a nice King size bedroom and our teenager had a pullout couch. Everyone was comfortable. The property has an indoor pool and jacuzzi, plus laundry. The front desk was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive to the Santa Fe historic district but close to Meow Wolf. There are mainly chain restaurants and strip Malls nearby. Regal movie theaters are closeby. Breakfast was good. Best Western Plus is good value for the money.
We have stayed here 3 times now, and always have a great experience! Ice water always available in the lobby. Room was very comfortable and the southwestern decor is well done. I could find healthy breakfast items, too!
Somehow our reservation got canceled but BW quickly fixed it. Our bill was incorrect and was immediately corrected. No hot water last morning but was fixed before 9am. Overall, a beautiful room, great service and pleasant experience. Sometimes things go wrong, but BW corrected everything as promptly as possible. We would stay here again!
What a fabulous place! Its one of the last few truly rustic yet clean places in Santa Fe. Most of the other hotels in town have gone commercial and ultra-modernized feeling cold and institutional. This place has a western feel that is cozy and warm, yet clean! Rates are also reasonable. The staff is outstanding- friendly and guest-oriented! I will definitely be returning here in the future.
Very impressed- usually stay in Albuquerque and drive up- glad I stayed here. On check in the first time, the woman who checked us in saw my dad had difficulty walking so she wanted to make sure the room was comfortable- I was impressed!
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The room decor was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The location was nearby every place that we went to so we appreciated that as well.
Stayed in Santa Fe 2 nights during our road trip. Fine hotel ... good internet, pool, great breakfast, fitness room. The staff was great both at check-in and check-out. Our room was comfortable, although the bathroom was not large, we had everything we needed. Would stay again in the future.
We were visiting the ares for a couple of days as we were in a road trip. Never stayed at a Best Western before but where it is a BW Plus we have it a shot. The plus is the complimentary breakfast which was just mediocre. Our room was a double queen. It was very dark even if all lights were on. The bathroom was very small and cramped. The shower was not fun. The plug in the drain kept slipping into the drain preventing the water to drain. Kept lifting and moving it but the force of the shower kept pushing it into the stopper position and it took a long time for the water to drain out. The a/c is below the window and it kept blowing the draperies and because it had an awkward slant to it was hard to put anything over it to prevent the blowing. Also a couch is close to it and if you want to sit on the couch to watch tv the fan is blowing full force on you. Had to shut off a/c if wanting to sit on couch. A sacrifice. When I headed to breakfast in the morning I walked by at least six housekeepers lined up standing in front of their carts Faces forward and not one of them in my two days even made eye contact with me or acknowledged me when I said hello the first day. Front desk seemed shy. Not the outgoing friendly welcomes we get at other hotels when we pass by the desk when no customers are around. Very disappointed. Also found the mattresses soft.
Very clean room, lots of art work. Bathroom is small but we managed. There is a large indoor pool which we didn't use. Comfortable lobby. Would definitely stay here again. We were recognized as Gold Crown and offered a upgrade which was very nice.
Late last minute check in and front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. She asked about any rewards I may have to make sure I would get the best possible rate. She also made sure I knew where other amenities, i.e. gym, breakfast area.
Stayed at this hotel, easy drive to downtown plaza. Lots of eateries close by. Staff friendly and my most important mark is cleanliness! The Lobby was a nice place to relax, the breakfast was like most hotels, lots of choices and great coffee.
Maintenance could have been better, toilet seat in room broken, and energy drink can from previous guest left in room. Torn bed cover. Hot tub nice but no jets. Great breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt etc plus varying options such as mediocre breakfast burritos or good biscuits and gravy.
After 25 years, my wife and I finally made another trip to Santa Fe. We had specific things we wanted to do while in town (dinner at La Plueza restaurant, shopping, etc.) We wanted a clean hotel with good ratings that wouldn't break the bank. This Best Western Plus in Santa Fe was a good choice. Our room was nice, clean, and quiet. The staff was friendly and diligent about doing a great job. Breakfast was good, similar to what we've had in other hotels with "included breakfasts". The breakfast room attendants kept the room clean and well supplied with plenty of food and supplies. Lots of restaurants and other businesses nearby. Easy drive to the Plaza, Railyard, and other places we wanted to visit. Not the Ritz Carlton, but a good place to stay while in Santa Fe.
The room was clean but room is very dark, poorly lite and cramped. The bed was very comfortable. The heat/ AC is just below windows and you can't adjust airflow other than volume. Airflow blew curtains up constantly. We had to put a chair to block air from blowing air onto bed. I use a CPAP and reaching the outlet was behind bed table. Having a lamp with outlet would be huge improvement. Room does have a bar sink outside of bathroom next to microwave etc.
My Family is always prepared to stay in Best Western the Quality is a 5 stars and the service is excellent, they have a friendly staff and professional staff. And I recommend this Best Western as a 5 star
This hotel is comfortable with nice amenities. It is a very quick drive to the Plaza attractions (used inexpensive public parking downtown). There are good New Mexico cuisine dining options nearby as well. And the hot tub was great after some of our day hikes.
The staff was very competent and extremely helpful when there was an internet connection problem in the room. Clerk actually came to the room to correct the problem! Breakfast was very good and ready at times promised.
Stay Away. The rooms are dim with poor lighting when they work at best. My bathroom had live bugs crawling around. The breakfast was terrible not even the coffee was drinkable. The room was dirty as well as the hallways and the elevator. The elevator door needed attention as it was not closing properly. I couldn't wait to get out this place and will never return. Not what you would expect from the Best Western brand.
Good: Clean, tidy and relatively quiet. Bad: awful breakfast (cheap stuff), check-in ONLY between 8am and 8pm, no way to communicate with them, they completely ignore emails and phone calls therefore is impossible to notify them about. delay or anything else.
I always choose BW and I am never disappointed! The Rewards are a fantastic perk! The cleanliness is always top notch! The hotel is consistently perfect! I always find the staff very helpful and willing if you go above and beyond! I have worked as a hotel housekeep at BW so I realize a clean room and that is the main reason I choose this hotel chain! The service is always there!
I stayed here three nights given I was in town for a conference. I stayed here given the constraints of where I work and what the allowable per diem for Santa Fe is. The room was not too bad and the hotel was quiet. It's a little from downtown but not too bad if you have a car or you can use Uber/Lyft.
We were warmly welcomed even though we came early to check-in. They even had our room already ready for us! The room was very clean and nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great! A variety of hot breakfast items were offered as well as the usual pastries, breads, cereals, etc. The staff was always kind and accommodating. One thing we always take note on rooms is if there is a night stand and light on EACH side of the bed. This room had it, which was very nice. There were plug-ins on both sides as well but I had to unplug the clock in order to charge my phone. We would highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Santa Fe. Although it, is a short drive into the heart of Santa Fe, it's worth the drive and for the price, it can't be beat!
Except for the small bathroom, made better by the shelf under the sink, we have no complaints. Housekeeping was excellent; the hotel is clean and bright; breakfast offerings were varied and sufficient for all. After a four-night stay, we can definitely state that we would stay again!
We always stay at Best Westerns, and this was, by far, the cleanest, well-staffed one yet. And we loved the decor. The breakfast was delicious and everything was hot. The breakfast area was clean and tidy. Everyone at the front desk did an outstanding job assisting us. All around, great job!
We stayed here for five nights. We were in town for a funeral and got a basic queen room. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a little small without much counter space, but a large shelf under the sink helped with that. Room service was good. The room was decorated in basic New Mexican style, and was convenient for our stay. The breakfast was standard Best Western. The desk staff were very helpful with good restaurant suggestions and an outstanding recommendation for a local place for flowers. The location is good, but it can be a little tricky finding the driveway.
This south western styled hotel provided us with everything we needed. Easy access off the interstate, a convenient drive to downtown Santa Fe, a clean and comfortable room and a nicely maintained pool. All very satisfactory. We did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment.
The location was great, close to everything. The decor was very New Mexico. Free continental breakfast was good your basic fare. Amenities were nice and clean especially the fitness room. If you come to Santa Fe for the food many places are close to the hotel.
This is a nice hotel in a very good location for sightseeing. Staff goes out of their way to make things right. I will stay here again when I visit the area. Hotel has good acces to food, sites and entertainment.
The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Staff is helpful. An adequate and unfancy breakfast is included. The location is not close to the Plaza so we Ubered. However, it was an easy one hour drive to the Albuquerque airport.
Three trips to Santa Fe in last 3 years. Two of those three stayed at Best Western Plus. Nicely appointed room decor. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. If not staying in the art district in more upscale lodging (1 of 3 trips we did that), then we will stay again at BWP. Convenient location to anything one would need. Easy to get back and forth from city center (although I would prefer to be closer to the central art district).
We selected a suite for this stay as my husband was recovering from an illness and needed to rest each day. I could be quietly active in the other room and he could rest nicely. It had a balcony but only looked over the parking lot so nothing special. Housekeeping did an excellent job each stay; our room was super clean. The included breakfast was pretty traditional motel food but kept filled, hot items hot and cold items cold. The staff in charge kept the tables wiped. The desk staff was helpful in answered all our questions. This motel is located on a main street so handy to every place we needed to go plus the room was very quiet. We would definitely stay here if in the area again.
The Hotel was good , clean ,but not up to Best Western Plus Standards. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but did not quite meet our expectations. Probably we would stay here again if we ever return to Santa Fe.
This is a beautiful hotel with really nice accommodations. The room was clean and quiet. The decor of the room was unique and nicely done. I had my dog with me and it was no issue. I would definitely stay here again.
Unless you must live in the lap of luxury, this is a very OK place to stay. It is well maintained, and their staff are friendly and helpful. The one drawback, especially for seniors, are the low toilets. Depending upon traffic, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get downtown.
The property is kind of hard to enter with a cramped parking lot and if you leave for dinner the spots fill up fast especially when the Hotel is full but other than that the Hotel is very nice and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with many options and since the Hotel was sold out the Breakfast area had plenty of areas to sit and eat in the breakfast area and around the indoor pool and even outside.
We were upgraded to a suite with a separate bedroom. A mini-kitchen included sink, refrigerator & mircrowave. The bedding was luxurious. The breakfast was good, although crowded--additional tables were available at the pool or outside. The indoor pool was very enjoyable on a hot August day.
Megan, at check in, was friendly and efficient. The hotel style and decor were perfectly Santa Fe. The room was spacious, well furnished, and clean. The breakfast was so-so, but there are plenty of nearby places the locals like to pick up breakfast. We would return to this hotel anytime.
Have stayed at the Best Western in Santa Fe many times and I will again. I think that probably says it all. Wonderful Staff, Nice Rooms (I usually get an upgrade) Good Breakfast, Pool and workout room well maintained. What else can I say?
Taking an 8 year to experience his first opera so planned a weekend of fun. I am very happy to have selected Best Western Plus Inn at Santa Fe for our lodging. The staff was welcoming and helpful. A room upgrade made his eyes go wide! "How come we have such a special room"? The pool was a hit and we had it nearly all to ourselves. Breakfast was easy and satisfying. And as an aside the opera experience was all I had hoped. We will go again
Nice comfortable place to rest up and good breakfast to start the day! Clean pool and spa to relax in after an excursion through the beautiful mountains or hike through Old Town Sante Fe! Location provides easy access to all journeys life takes you!
running between Phoenix and Denver to drop daughter off to college, Santa Fe is right at 1/2 way.....I've mostly had good luck with the Best Western Plus brand all across America (one exception in Dayton, Ohio that had just acquired the Plus status,,,,,but obviously didn't have all the kinks worked out._
We spent one night at this hotel as we traveled from Texas to Colorado. It was a great experience. The room was beautiful, and the beds were comfy. We were traveling with our dog and were allowed to bring her into the room with us (we notified them at booking that we were bringing a pet.) The breakfast was perfectly acceptable for a hotel complimentary breakfast. This hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the downtown area, but a great value.
Clean, good sized rooms with touches of Southwest decor, but unfortunately suffer from horribly dim lighting. Rooms have microwave, which is good to thaw out things put into the mini-fridge since they freeze solid.
While this facility may have been recently renovated, the rooms are still small, poorly lighted and unexciting. The best that can be said is that, aside from the ever-present smell of Carpet Fresh, rooms and public areas are clean and smoke-free. The parking ares are roomy and well lit, and there are two drive wys onto Cerrillos, one back exit leading out to a side street. For the price, we could have stayed at a nicer hotel, but we made our reservations at the last minute.
I typically stay at a Best Western when I'm on the road. This is one of the best. The decor is very nice -- all southwestern style with all the extra touches (like a full-size shower curtain and liner). Easy to control room temperature. Thorough house-keeping and bathroom supplies fully re-stocked each day. Breakfast is typical of most BWs - the breakfast area is a bit small and could probably get a bit crowded during some hours. The front desk staff was very helpful. It's a few miles from the downtown area and a simple straight drive to get there.
The room was very clean and quiet. Just a straight drive to the old Santa Fe plaza. Check-in was quick and we were able to check-in early. The free breakfast was one of the best for this level of hotel. The only complaint was the bath fan was noisy and needed to be replaced.
Nice small rooms - very well kept up. A mile off freeway in busy Santa Fe so very handy. Typical Best Western breakfast with good variety inc. Biscuits and sausage gravy - my favorite. Picture of nearby view for those unfamiliar with the area
This hotel is located on the major business strip in Santa Fe -- close enough to downtown but with plenty of shopping and dining nearby. The hotel is very clean with great internet. Very affordable for Santa Fe.
The southwest decor in the room was excellent. Very pleasant staff and lovely room. We enjoyed the balcony patio with table so we could sit outside. Also enjoyed eating outside. The lobby area also has southwest decor with leather couches and a large area to sit and relax.
It's hard to find an affordable hotel in Santa Fe. The Best Western was great. We stayed one night while traveling through. Recently remodeled with a southwestern theme. Clean. Hot breakfast with meat, eggs, breads, waffles, cereal, yogurt, juice, etc. Appeared to be a safe location. Nice pool area. Front desk lady was nice.
The property is located a couple of miles from the center part of the town. We asked for a dog friendly room and they provided one on the first floor near an exit. There was a good area to walk the dog just out the door. The room was a little on the small side, but clean and comfortable. The decor was a southwest style with made the room a little dark. The hotel had a nice hot tub and pool. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection of items, including good burritos. The eating area was rather small. The hotel was good and a good value.
Now, where the hotel is located, it seems a bit sketch. But once you get inside, holy cow!! The rooms are very spacious and beds are so comfortable! The breakfast had a great selection. Only issue was the front desk in the evening wasn't very friendly. They didn't tell us about the breakfast when we checked in or told us where to park.
Building was Santa Fe style, inside and out. It's in a decent area off a main road. It was clean and seemed well managed. Breakfast was an upgrade from basic and had some daily variety. Definitely stay here again!
The hotel was nice, I like how they have no fee for pets. Although I did bring both of my dogs, there was no grassy area for them to go to the restroom, they only had some bushes and rocks, the pillows also were hard, and not that comfortable, the air conditioning did not get very cold either, but it was clean, and very pet friendly, ok breakfast, definitely need better pillows though.
We had a minor problem with our room at the first night. The manager and desk staff immediately stepped up and not only changed our room but upgraded us at the same time. Every employee with whom we came i to contact has been super friendly and professional.
The location is good to the sights of the santa fe plaza, and the palace of the governors. You must drive to the plaza but it just down the road. The inn is decorated southwest, which my husband and I liked very must.very inviting
My flight ended up being cancelled and I needed a hotel. This place was on the expensive side but the room was clean, the pool and hot tub were clean, and I was able to check in early at no additional cost. The hot tub was nice and warm. Breakfast was ok, but I am a really picky eater. The hotel has many places to eat around it. I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing that bothered me (and this is not the hotel's fault) is that at one point it sounded as if someone was trying to kick my door in. I assumed it was the next door folks who were in and out of their room constantly and letting their door bang shut. Overall, I would stay here again.
Our usual Santa Fe hotel was under renovation and unavailable for this trip so we opted for the Best Western Plus Inn of Santa Fe instead. We almost spent the big bucks and went for one of the expensive downtown hotels. I'm really glad we didn't. The Best Western Plus proved to be every bit as nice as the more expensive hotels for a lot less money. We had a spacious room with a double vanity bathroom, two comfortable wing chairs and an ottoman in a sitting area, a King bed that was very comfy, and all the other usual amenities you would expect, The room was clean and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was good, but the area set aside for the breakfast was a bit small. The lobby is large and inviting. I spent some time there reading a complimentary newspaper. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel and we will definitely be staying there again.
I'm a single mom traveling with my 8 year old on our yearly Memorial Day trip to Santa Fe from ABQ - we catch all the kid friendly museums and activities around town then grab some dinner and return to the hotel. We enjoyed a Clean room and comfy bed but it was a bit small for our needs. My son loves the indoor pool which was the perfect temp He also loved the ability to make his own waffles at breakfast We will return if we can get a larger room next time
The room was clean and decent although very very small for a room with two queen beds. I booked a room with two beds yet upon arriving waa charged extra for a room upgrade to two beds. As a single mom with 3 kids traveling on mother's day it was a less than courteous experience with the front desk at check-in, to be honest. The hotel was advertised as near the Plaza. False. I will stay elsewhere on my next trip to Santa Fe.
A simple 15 minute drive to the plaza and railyard district. Comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet room allowed for a comfortable stay and the satisfying breakfast made for a good start to a day of exploring Santa Fe.
We stayed two nights at this hotel. The decor is southwest, very nice. We had a two-queen room. It was not huge, but plenty big for the three of us. The location is just a few miles down the road from the historic district/plaza, an easy drive. There are many restaurants and stores near this hotel. We asked for a room not on Carillo Road as this is a busy street and I didn't want the traffic noise. Our room was very quiet. An overall great stay.
Quiet room away from traffic. Above average SW decor, friendly and helpful staff Bed was too soft and cooling system in room not working properly. Strongly recommend to travelers headed to Santa Fe for a few days
Had an adjoining room..were not told it was..ppl next door very loud. Breakfast looked and tasted like it came right out of the microwave...with that said the staff at front desk was helpful and friendly
Check in and out was a breeze. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. The coffee in the lobby was extra good. My room and bathroom was very clean and shower water pressure great. The breakfast was up to the expected standard. I will stay here again.
Had a great stay at the Best Western Santa Fe, enjoyed the pool, breakfast, all amenities and room was wonderful. Will stay here again in the future. Check-in girls were pleasant and breakfast attendant was doing a great job!
We stay at a Best Western when it's possible. We are loyal customers, so sometime there are perks. Staff was friendly. Suggested several places to eat. Pool and a hot tub .Breakfast included. We will be staying there when we return later this summer.
The front desk clerk greeted us with a friendly smile as she efficiently and professionally handled our check in. The lobby and room was clean and spacious. The bathroom and vanity were large, with dual sinks. Spanish style deco added to the ambiance. The hotel was near Old Town Sante Fe. The breakfast room was adequate with a good variety of food. It was well organized, clean and comfy beds, quiet stay, and easy check out experience. All around, a good value.
Nothing more than average. Breakfast area was crowded and small with a sign that says that there is extra seating in the pool area??? seems weird to go sit in a humid chlorine smelling area for breakfast, no thanks! Something happened on the morning we left, about 4 police cars swarmed the property and were driving around it, appeared to be looking for someone. A bit of an uneasy feeling, but I suppose that can happen anywhere. Hotel staff appeared to be also walking around looking for something or someone.
Very rustic and cool. very in touch with local architecture. the location was not too far from downtown and other attractions. quiet and nice view to the city. did not get the opportunity to eat breakfast or use other anemeties.
My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel off of Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe. The property is in need of a remodel. The rooms are dark and confining and the elevator door needs to be realigned to track properly. In its present condition one wonders that it functions at all. The breakfast area is clean and offers hot items to choose from. The traffic noise from Cerrillos road is really bad and prevents a good nights sleep.
I loved staying in Best Western Santa Fe!!! The service was excellent, loved the balcony and the rooms were clean and pleasant. I stayed here about 5 years ago and I did not enjoy it - it was dirty and dusty, what a turn around!!!!!!! I would stay at this hotel again with no hesitation!!!!
The front desk manager Megan was the beat we have encountered in a while. She helped us with dining suggestions, bus routes to travel downtown and other items. The room was gigantic and southwestern themed.
A good and clean Hotell with personal whom wanted our best. Gave us good information of different sights in town. After a day in town the room was cleaned and I could take a shower using dry towels:-). It's near a busy road with a lot of traffic so it's never really quiet. It dosn' Matter on which side your room is. There is a inside pool I saw some folk use. The parking space is good and breakfast too.
My wife and I enjoyed one week at BW SANTA FE, with special shout-out to Megan Front Desk, along with equally warm and friendly service from Leslie and Jackie who staff the front desk. They assisted in facilitating suggestions for massage for my wife who experienced severe neck pain and suggested a place to obtain a neck collar that she could heat up and apply to ease pain. Rooms and faculty were well taken care of and the breakfast offered many choices. Upon leaving Megan said they would send some books I had purchased ahead to alleviate weight issues for flights. Ten to fifteen minutes from downtown and easy access to all highways and points-of-interest We would stay here again Steve
Comfortable bed with nice pillows and linens. Good breakfast. Plenty of noise from adjacent Cerrillos Road. Hotel has been remodeled and then beat up again. Toilet at an angle. Corridor carpet that looks like it spent several years in a Jiffy Lube lobby. Plastic lined shower tub. Not a "plus" experience as many of the BW plus's are.
Stayed in Santa Fe 2 nights; hotel was fabulous! Great location, very clean; staff were very helpful. Breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious. Hotel room was very large and very tastefully decorated.
Rooms are large, very clean, comfortable, with a touch of southwestern decor. Both the interior and exterior areas are well maintained. Breakfast has the usual offerings with some nice unexpected additions. Also, the food is fresh and replenished as needed. Front desk personnel are friendly and professional. Wifi great. Hotel is well located within an eadsy drive to all Santa Fe offers.
This Best Western has a beautiful feel to it, the rooms are nice and the pool and fitness center are both very clean and function wonderfully. We've stayed here several times over the past 2 years and enjoy it every time!
I was only there overnight but the room was clean and the service was good. The Housekeeping staff work harder than most anyone I know and they do it for very little money. Most people don't think about tipping the housekeeping staff but they should be tipped at least $3-$5 per night especially if you were messy.
This is a nice location close to Meow Wolf, restaurants and stores. A short drive or bus ride to the Plaza and to the art Galleries or Georgia O'Keefe museum. It is a busy hotel but the staff are very thoughtful and professional. If I could I would rate it 4 and a half stars.
Very nice staff and nice hotel. Pool area was a bit crowded, but it was the last weekend of Texas Spring Break. Manager Megan went above and beyond. Below is the information I shared with th hotel: On the second evening of our stay (03/16) we went to the hot tub to relax a little before dinner. When a young child approached, my wife informed her that children were not allowed in the hot tub. The child returned to her parents. The mother came over to the hot tub, slamming a chair down, and told both her children to get in the hot tub. My wife informed her that the policy of the hotel was to not allow children in the hot tub due to safety concerns. The parent became very belligerent, grabbed my hand (assault) crushing the plastic cup that I was holding. The father arrived, just as belligerent, informing us that the no child rule was at parents' discretion. I obtained a copy of the policy and showed him the rule and why it is needed. He stated that he didn't care if it hurt his children, he was going "to raise my kids the way I want to". We left the hot tub area and I went to the front desk. Megan was the Manager On Duty. After a little explanation, she headed toward the pool area and I went to my room. In a very brief amount of time, our phone rang and I was told that the children were no longer in the hot tub. I want to thank her for being proactive in correcting the situation. She could have told me there was nothing she could do about it, but she immediately took responsibility and corrected the problem. I think both the hotel and corporation should recognize such above and beyond service.
We had a great stay at the Best Western. The staff were very friendly and our room was comfortable. Everything was a quick drive away, but it was nice to be off the beaten path. The breakfast was the typical continental style, which was great for being on the go.
Carpet was worn; beds not comfortable; counter in bathroom was tiny. Worst place we have ever stayed in Santa Fe. You can find many better places on TripAdvisor to stay in Santa Fe! John Q., Edmond, OK
Excellent service from front desk clerk, Jaime. Excellent service from bar tender, Billy. Excellent food from chef, Alex. This is the second time my friend and I have stayed here. Love the hospitality!
We stayed here for 2 nights to enjoy the sights of Santa Fe. The hotel is pet-friendly so that was a plus for us. It is located about 20 minutes from the plaza but very convenient to I-25. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable though somewhat on the small side. Finding room for two large suitcases was a challenge!
Our room had a fridge and a clean, comfortable King bed. Breakfast was the usual with the hot waffle machine, fruit, cereal. Our room was clean, furnishings look new. Hotel located well right off I-40.
The rooms were nicely decorated and the lobby was beautiful. The swimming pool was amazing and the service was on point. Love the rustic look and newness of building. The hotel was easy to get to and the was plenty of parking. The sofa couch in our room was a bonus.
Positives: Good price bed was firm but confortable and the pillows were ok. Towels were clean and fluffy. Shower was nice and water was hot. Room coffee was good. Breakfast was fine.... eggs bacon selection of toast or bagels etc. Not so great: Room was noisy.... first floor so hallway/door noise and above.... not sure who was in that room but wow.... the stomping overhead..... doors closing was another problem — think the doors are heavy and on tension rods.... don't think folks were slamming them.
The bathroom was very small and it took some time for two of us to get ready in the morning, Other than that, the room was nice and clean, the breakfast was good, the overall property was good and the staff was friendly.
We stay at this hotel 2-3 times per year. Check in staff is always great. Fresh cookies and fruit are a welcome site after many hours in the car. Our rooms are alway neat a very clean. Very pet friendly.
My stay was very pleasant. All my needs were met. The breakfast food was cold but still edible. That is be my only concern and as I am in the food business I know what temperatures the food should be. The gravy was very cold as well as the sausage. This is in a business setting and should be looked into. I eat cold food at home so this was not a problem for me. However, in a business setting we are to always make sure are food is safe for ALL individuals. My husband brought my food back to our room or I would have said something. I left right after I ate for my meeting.Thank you Cynthia Thompson
This BW was clean and had friendly desk staff. As is most BW we stay at, it is a bit dated and the room could use an update. This seems to be a common theme for BW Inn's but we almost always find them clean, safe and great customer service!
I stayed last night using my; fiancé's Points and we got a Suite Room. Absolutely impressed with the room and how spacious it is! Just as advertised in our description. Hotel Staff was very professional. Pool was heated as well as the hot tub was fabulous! The pool is the way a pool should be clean and the towels were plentiful and clean. The Jacuzzi was clean too! Plenty of towels in the room too even a hair dryer which was very convenient as I had to leave early to go to work! Will recommend because of Professionalism and cleanliness. My fiancé enjoyed the points he was given for working at Best Western in Las Vegas NM!
This hotel provided all the usual expectations of a Best Western Plus hotel. The room was clean, pleasantly decorated and allowed perfect temperature controls for our visit to Santa Fe during a very cold snap between Christmas and New Years Day. The excellent rating is warranted due to a response to a problem that we had on checking into our room, water was dripping from the ceiling. Without any hesitation we were moved to another room don the hall and by the time other guest arrived the next day the problem had been rectified in the room. We checked with them.
Stayed in this location over the years for the courteous staff, clean spacious rooms and beautiful view. This trip was a nightmare. At check in the desk clerk charged my card 3 times and refused to clear it up with Capital One. Upon checking in the room had a dirty undergarment in the shower and pubic hair under the pillow when I took the comforter off the bed. Once again after discussing it with "Jackie", the desk clerk "nothing she could do".I stripped down the bed and wiped down everything in the room with "Oxywipes", odor of dog urine still in the room because I was given a Pet Friendly room. Unfortunately I also, had trouble trying to find a different room or hotel because it was the 30th of December 2018 when I checked in and needed a room until the 4th of January 2019. The next day in full view of the lobby cameras Jackie was sitting with her boyfriend, at least I hope he was because at 10pm. on New Year's Eve instead of being at the desk they were groping each other in the lobby as guests were walking around. I went in to lobby to get ice when she caught view of me, (A Franciscan priest), at that point Jackie a seven month pregnant woman with her male companion stopped groping each other and went on a ten minute tirade of profanity laced derogatory comments in both English and Spanish all aimed at me for bothering her for clean sheets or a different room all in full view of the cameras and fellow guests during time she was supposed to be working. It took talking to corporate office and the general general manager John, just to get an apology. Finally I was told the "Jackie", would be reprimanded and one of four nights was taken off. If you show up and she's at the front desk my advice, leave! Enter at your own risk. In the words of Dante, "Give up hope all who enter here!"
The hotel is well located, close to markets and restaurants and close to old downtown (10 minutes) by car. Staff friendly and room has an adequate size for a couple and 2 kids. The complimentary breakfast is OK, nothing fancy.
First of all, I accidentally booked this hotel instead of another one with a similar name. Because I was using my credit card points, I wasn't able to cancel it, but I think it turned out to be a good mistake. When we first checked in, the first room we got had issues with the television, so we were switched to another room. I hated to complain again, but we were placed in a room with a barking dog, so I asked to switch again. The front desk clerk didn't appear to be bothered by my request, though. In the morning we ate breakfast, which was surprisingly good.
The room was small, but adequate. It was very clean. Nice Southwest touches, too. Good mattress on the bed. Nice lobby and lounge area. Free coffee, but no tea. Okay fitness center. The treadmill needs to be repaired or replace. It was very noisy. Good breakfast area. Nice selection including breakfast burritos with salsa. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The furnishings throughout the hotel were both comfortable and high quality, and our room felt like a home away from home. Great place, very clean! Will stay here again.
Great room, location, service and price what more can I say. No hassle just a great experience. Thanks to the staff I had a time. No more needed to be said. This is the second Best Western I stayed in during the last two weeks.
Clean rooms. Indoor swimming pool. The pool area was nice. WiFi. Great shower. I was in a King Suite. Overall a nice experience. They offer a continental breakfast in the morning. Will I stay again? Most definitely!
We had a king room with a Jacuzzi and it was gorgeous, with two big stuffed leather chairs, two sinks in a large bathroom, double Jacuzzi, nice Southwestern decor, all the amenities you expect. Not close to downtown but near a great restaurant, the Blue Corn cafe and brewery. All for $135.
This best western is a great place to stay. Yes it is not walking distance to Downtown, but it is on Cerrillos rd which has lots of stores and restaurants on it. The hotel at least on this Saturday night was very reasonable. Check in was quick and we were given a room on the third floor. The room is on the smaller end, but is anything but generic. The hotel throughout had a great southwestern theme and this carried into the rooms. The bed was very comfortable and they did not skimp on pillows. I slept very well. The room was very quiet other than a emergency light beeping in the hall as it's battery was low, which was fixed quickly upon our arrival. The pool area was nice and the hot tub was warm and most importantly to me working! Breakfast was standard with basic hot items but it did not disappoint. They did have breakfast burritos on it which was nice. Overall this is a great place to stay if you cannot stay downtown. I would gladly stay here again on my next trip.
Nice room, but rather dark once the sun sets. The lamp over the table was too low. Great shower. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good location. The breakfast was abundant - a lot of variety. Would have liked more and better fruit, though. Overall - pretty good deal. Would definitely stay here again.
We forgot and stayed here again. While the amenities are nice as well as the staff, it is the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in in my entire life. The road noise from the outside is terrible and if you're on the west side of the hotel you have to listen to deliveries starting at 4 AM. As soon as the deliveries are done then come the trash trucks. We asked the staff last time to go talk to them about the noise but they never did. I took a picture of where the trucks park and the door they bring the deliveries in. After dumping the boxes in the hallway along the rooms, then the night staff starts in with razor knives unloading the boxes. So, if you like quite, DON'T STAY HERE!!!
We didn't book before walking in and the front desk employee was so nice and helpful. They don't charge for pets (which is amazing!) and make sure to put guests with pets on the first floor. Our room was very clean and wonderfully decorated in a Southwest theme. Breakfast was above average too! Although we were too tired to enjoy the indoor heated pool and spa, others were. We will definitely stay there again - well worth the price! The customer service skills of all employees showed!
Thanks to my Diamond status I was given an upgrade to a King suite. It wasn't exactly big (just about as big as a regular room in other hotels) but had a separate bedroom and living room area. Furniture and other things such as lamps, sink etc. are done in Southwestern style with lots of attention to detail, very fitting for Santa Fe. The bed was extremely comfy. There was a small balcony but unfortunately it was too cold and wet to sit outside. Breakfast was nice with various hot and cold items (the hot items varied every morning) but the breakfast room is just too small for all the people. They had a sign saying people should use the pool area for breakfast as well but it wasn't very inviting due to the cold and the chlorine smell. It might be a good idea to provide trays in the breakfast room so that people could take their food to their rooms and eat there.
We were very pleased with the decor and comfort of our king suite. The furniture was very nice and comfy. The room was clean and neat. The window coverings did not shut out all of the light or I would give it 5 instead of 4.
We always stay Best Western. Hot Breakfast, comfortable rooms, knowledgeable staff and pet friendly.Easy 15 minute drive to the Plaza for shopping and dining. Be sure to ask about the restaurant right across the street, El Comal...small, but the service and the were great , homemade New Mexican. We had a first floor room at the end of the hallway with easy access for our pet....only negative thing was the kids running up and down the stairs and slamming the outside door.....
We've stayed at this Best Western Plus three different times, and each time were glad we did. The rooms are well appointed, it's convenient enough to Santa Fe and to the roads out of town, and the staff is really pleasant and helpful. Each time we've used this Inn as a base for travel to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta, to national parks like Bandelier, Petroglyph and Chaco Culture and have enjoyed the area.
Second stay here. Lovely southwest ambience, we stayed in an amazing suite. Very clean. Cordial front desk staff. The breakfast room is a bit small, but there is additional and ample seating poolside. Nice selection of breakfast foods. We will continue to stay here when in Santa Fe.
This is a basic motel, period. Not sure what the "plus" signifies but the breakfast room is tiny, the selection is "average", nothing really outstanding. Rooms were nothing exceptional, again this is just a basic motel.
This hotel offered everything we needed, comfort, clean, a suite , food to go on an early morning departure, quiet and very helpful front staff. Breakfast was also very good, a very adequate buffet with choices to satisfy everyone. Staff was very helpful suggesting dinner at a cute little Mexican place across the street. Would go back in a heartbeat to enjoy this hotel. Easy access into Santa Fe.
This hotel needs to be updated, the room had an odor, the carpet was torn in two places, the wall paper was separating in spots, the refrigerator needed defrosting (ice buildup all along the back.) My wife went to the front desk area to see if they had any water for sale (or gratis,) it was a major deal to give her a complimentary bottle. I paid 50% more for this one night stay than the other BW on this trip - it should have been 50% LESS. My wife also says she hear the occupants in the room above walking around (I am hard of hearing, so luckily I didn't.)
This hotel is very middle of the road. What I like is that it's clean and the parking lot is very well lit. I agree with the person who commented on the slippery surface in the shower. There is a grab bar outside of the shower that would be helpful getting in and out of the shower, but not helpful while you're inside the shower. I suspect that what's used to clean/sanitize the area may be contributing to the slippery surface. The room that we stayed in had carpet except the hallway and bathroom were tiled. The front desk staff were very friendly and courteous. Bed and linens were average quality. For those traveling hauling trailers or large travel trailers, there is a designated area to accommodate those vehicles. Although there is a large selection of food on the breakfast buffet, it was mostly sugary items. Cold cereal, waffle, pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, sweet muffins and pastries, vanilla yogurt. If you're spending a night, traveling through it's fine.
Absolutely beautiful motel inside and out. Great breakfast, comfy beds, reasonable price -- one of the best places I've ever stayed at! Right off the main thoroughfare, it's easy to access downtown shops and local nearby attractions.
There were 4 of us, and our room was really small and cramped. The bathrooms are super small. They would be ok for one, but that is all. We were supposed to get queen beds, but they were full beds. Also the beds were very hard. I prefer soft, but that is just a preference. We just felt very cramped in there. But the room was clean and nice. The a/c worked, but it didn't seem accurate temp, so we had to turn it down. Breakfast was good. The toaster was a bit wonky, so it wasn't toasting well, and then it got stuck and burned something. The breakfast area is a bit cramped as well. But it was clean and well stocked. I loved that they had the fruit salad and the skillet potatoes. They had breakfast burritos as well. Overall I would not go back just because of the hard beds or if I had more than one in a room. But that is more on personal preference.
I was on a 10 day roadtrip and of 4 BW properties I stayed at this was my least favorite. The room was comfortable, the bed, tv and spaciousness were all fine and met the BW+ standard. I wasn't a fan of the dark, heavy room decor and found the room lighting dim. The bathroom had a low shower/tub combo with a shower curtain and I agree with another reviewer about the toilet being low. I'm 5'11" and felt like I was on a kiddie seat. The breakfast food and choices were fine, same as others I've stayed at, but the seating was limited and for some strange reason a business meeting was being held at one table. Some guests were eating breakfast and two outside gentlemen joined and they began a meeting. Odd and inopportune during the rush with limited seating. The location is far from the old town tourist attractions and the main restaurants in the surrounding area are national chains.
Well first off went to go get breakfast and there was ants crawling on the counter down by the cups and juice machine, so nope we didn't eat breakfast. So there goes part of the money we paid for the room. Second we had a dog close to our room that kept barking.. Last but not least the bathroom sink leaked all over so we had to brush our teeth in the bathtub.. So no we are not impressed for being reward members who just joined up.
We stayed for one night, got in late and left early whilst doing route 66, pity we didnt get to use the pool, room lovely and big, comfortable bed, parking, easily accessible off the road, close to restaurants
Was in town to attend the annual mountain flying clinic offered by the New Mexico Pilots Association. Hotel is located near the airport which made it convenient to attend class. We had an excellent stay! Hotel staff very helpful, good breakfast each morning, and close to attractions in downtown Santa Fe.
The hotel is located just minutes from downtown Santa Fe and several good restaurants. Our room was clean and housekeeping made sure we had plenty of soap & shampoo. We never experienced and noise problem while sleeping. Recommend this hotel.
Planned to stay two nights but personnel issues changed that to one night. Sorry to leave so soon since the hotel was really a nice place to stay. The hotel was decorated in the Santa Fe style and the room was neat and clean. Staff was pleasant, friendly and professional. Sad to see that the hotel was not close to the historical area, a short drive but not during rush hour. The city was hosting a festival in the historical district and stores were closed during that time. Restaurants were crowded and parking in the historical area was a disaster. Will plan better next trip and stay at this hotel.
This one is a winner. I can't say all best westerns deserve a 5 star rating but this one does. The place was spotless ...just immaculately clean. Decorated in the typical Santa Fe style. Mexican tiled floors... beautiful bedding...the beds were excellent. Slept great. Had king size bed. I had paid for a queen but they upgraded us when we got there because they said they had a lot of kings available. Just a super pleasant stay. The hotel is located about 4 miles from the center of the city...with about 20 other hotel chains nearby. If you book a hotel right downtown, it's double the price and not worth it. It's a one road drive into the historic district from this location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Super quiet...nice....there were plantation shutters on large windows fory room darkening. Hot breakfast in the morning. Anyway, great stay.
I am rating the hotel a 5 based on service. I booked my parents stay for 3 nights. They both loved everything about the hotel. They did not have any complaints. I had to write a review to show my appreciation for Megan and Leza. Leza helped me book my parents stay. She was very helpful and kind. Megan also was incredible with making sure everything went well. My parents had a couple of obstacles. I had a few requests. Megan and Leza took care of all of it. Thank you so much for all you do!
We booked this hotel based on jacuzzi suite for our anniversary. Check in was easy, staff friendly and helpful. Room 111, was oversized, comfy king bed, 2 comfy captain chairs, and double sink vanity. Love the southwest details from sinks, bedding, to shower curtain. Has a nice wet bar where we made the drinks we brought, and jacuzzi was great! Breakfast is until 10 and even though small area they had a good variety. Pool and spa were refreshing and clean. They keep the hallways, doors, front desk, every area very clean which was a huge deal for us. We stayed here again on our way back home.
This is a very nice hotel that is convenient to restaurants and shopping. The decor is very suited to New Mexico. The staff at check-in were very helpful. The first room we were assigned smelled like someone had been smoking in there so we were immediately offered another room. We asked about a good restaurant and was given a recommendation that was excellent. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices.
I like this hotel, however, the King Suite sits at the front of the hotel, which is on a busy street. I was unable to sleep well because of the noise. Breakfast was standard complimentary fare and could have used some healthier options, Veggie Burgers?????. Employees were nice and friendly. Decent location, except for the being right on Cerrillos Road.
We stayed for 5 nights. Everyone was so very nice and helpful. From check in to check out. The housekeeping staff is exceptional. Our room was always kept clean. The breakfast was nice with a good variety. And again always kept neat and clean. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to others to do so.
Spacious and quaint hotel in Santa Fe. While not in the center of the city, the main plaza was only 10 minutes away by car and is close to the new exhibition, Meow Wolf. Easy to check in, lovely breakfast, and kind stay.
The gal at the front desk was very helpful in helping us find a place for dinner. She provided maps, directions, etc. in order for us to make our decision. Se was also very friendly and courteous during the check in process.
Just a short trip to get away, and found a reasonable cost for Santa Fe. The hotel was great...clean and nicely decorated. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfast was really good. Nice and helpful staff.
No issues here. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. Located on south end of town away from a lot of the traffic. (You still have to drive through downtown to get to a lot of things though) The hot tub and pool were clean too. Breakfast was standard fare. Nice walking path across arroyo behind hotel.
Lovely Santa Fe decor rooms, bright spacious pool area with natural light, superbly gracious staff. Beautiful flowers and plants outside. Surrounded by good, non-touristy shopping, and movie theaters and restaurants, but just a 10 min. drive to the plaza. Lots of parking . Good room AC with control options. Laundromat on first floor for guests . Adequate complimentary breakfast. Easy entrance and exit from the property with rooms facing away from street. Hotels are pricey in Santa Fe, so ti's a treat to have such a lovely place that's affordable and convenient.
We loved the Best Western Plus! The hotel is on the main road into town (about 10 min. drive to get downtown). Loved the southwest touches the room had (i.e. quilt coverings, decorative details, etc.). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The TV cable was in and out during our stay and when we checked out and asked for $$ back, they so kindly gave us a refund. Great breakfast!!
Used to stay At Hampton all the time in Santa Fe but it's now a Marriott. The double queen rooms at Best Weatern were kind of small, and make sure you set the AC to dry or the rooms will be very clammy. The pool and hot tub were very nice and well maintained. Staff is great. Breakfast was very typical but hot and good. But even a week before Indian Market the rooms were expensive. $130-$150 per night!
We've come to expect a higher level of lodging when Best Western started labeling some locations Plus. Not true in the case of this location. Yes, I fully understand this was in Santa Fe and it was a Fri/Sat/Sun but for nearly $200/night I expected far more than I got. Because I used our points on one night we were downgraded to a small queen room. The room itself was very humid and no apparent way to control that as there was no setting on the air conditioner. Breakfast was adequate but the room itself was very small for the amount of people using it. Lots of noise from floor above ours. Overall this should have been advertised as a Best Western Minus
Maintenance is not a top priority at this hotel. The hotel is old and needs renovation. The wheels on the luggage cart were broke, the room air conditioner was not adequate to cool the entire room and the room smelled like smoke. The bathroom sink was broke and the shower head was in need of repair - need I say more..
We found this hotel to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were friendly, and helped us with some special requests. The breakfast was on par with expectations. Our suite was tastefully decorated in the style of Santa Fe. At first it felt a bit dark because of the small windows. But this soon became welcome as the suite offered a cool respite from the New Mexico heat. The hotel is located a few miles from Old Town Sante Fe. We did not find this to be a problem. It was easy to drive to the sights in and around Santa Fe, and good restaurants and stores were located near the hotel.
We had a good stay at the hotel. We stayed one night. The room was very clean and comfortable. It's was easy to find. Easy and convenient check in and out. Rates were very affordable. They had a pool. Also they had air conditioning which is not always the case in some areas. Check out the plaza and the Mountain View's.
Very nice room decor, clean. Welcomed my dog:) Bed a bit soft for my best rest, but quiet hotel. Not close to plaza or restaurants. The breakfast area is very tight with a good food selection for children, not huge selling point.
We booked the bedroom with a king bed and two sink bathroom and could not be more happy with the amenities and room. Super clean and friendly staff. In addition you are within 10-15 minutes from great eats (Tecolote cafe) and Old Town Santa Fe!
Best Western is our go to chain hotel in the United States, in part because my husband is from Genoa, Italy and the Best Western there is one of our favorite hotels in the world. We find the chain reliably clean, with comfortable and pleasant rooms, and the always welcome free breakfast and refrigerator in the room The Best Western Plus Inn of Santa Fe, however, was several notches above all the Best Westerns in the U.S. we've stayed in. The decor was amazing -- Southwest style in both the rooms and the spacious living space in the public area--great attention paid to detail and quality. My room was on the third floor, large with a view of trees (as well as the parking lot), had a wet bar and microwave as well as a refrigerator. Breakfast was also a cut above the quite adequate standard, and staff, especially manager Megan, extremely helpful. I had left medications in the Best Western Albuquerque, which was not helpful in following through with arrangements for their return. Megan was both kind and efficient in successfully expediting matters. Price very reasonable for value. The only drawback is that Cerillos Road is outside the downtown area and one needs either to take Lyft or Uber (10 minute $12 ride) to get to the Plaza and its surrounding or to look for parking when you drive. I can't recommend this hotel more highly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it is not a 5 star hotel. In its class, I'd give it five stars in a minute.
Santa Fe is a very interesting city to visit and the Best Western was a good place to stay. Reasonable rates, friendly staff, great continental breakfast, clean rooms. They were close to town center and helpful information on where to go for food, sights and all around enjoyment
The room and hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful when asked questions. My daughter loved the hot tub and pool at this location. The room we were in needed some updating, Everything was very dark, and the bed was not very comfortable. This is not a big deal, as this is a budget hotel. Honestly, the only true negative was that its location was so far from downtown and the museum's festival. If you plan on doing most of your activities in the downtown area or Santa Fe mountains, stay somewhere closer. If you plan on doing activities all around Santa fe and most of the surrounding areas, this is a good place to stay.
We recently took a trip from Dallas to Durango, CO and spent the night here in Santa Fe. It's in a good location with a competitive rate and is well worth the stop. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Check in was quick and pleasant. I highly recommend. I'm a fan of the Best Western hotels. My only complaint was that the toilet was way too low. I'm a "portly" gentleman and it makes it quite difficult for me to "arise" from the throne.
We were traveling with friends and stayed a few days at this Best Western. Everything was nice, clean rooms and staff was very helpful. We would recommend this location. Good access to the Santa Fe area.
We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every minute. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite because of my BW Rewards status. It was spacious and comfortable and nicely decorated; it was like staying in an apartment. We even had two bathrooms (and I have to mention the pretty Mexican pottery sinks!). There was a very private balcony off the living room. Front desk staff couldn't have been nicer. It's in a good location, with restaurants and stores nearby. Highly recommended.
Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Did not stay long, was just a stop over on a trip. Manly just checked in, showered, slept, and had breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was a small cramped room with much of the food you have to make yourself.
I arrived around 9:45 PM, without a reservation, and the woman at the counter was very helpful. She offered me a few rooms to choose from and inquired about my cross-country trip as she checked me in. The room was very clean and nice. Although there were pets on the same floor, I hardly noticed them and was not bothered.
the property is clean, out dated, could use a big remodel if it is going to call itself PLUS front desk rather impatient, food totally average and boring I am a Best Western Gold client and have seen much better properties
All criteria considered, this property is Average. Location good and away from Plaza which means parking is easier and cost much lower. Cost is reasonable. Beds comfortable. I rated this property as "Average" for the following reasons. The rooms with two queen beds are too small. More importantly, the bathroom is very small. And the entire hotel (sleeping and common rooms) are in need of updating. Pool is indoors and also has a separate hot tub. We had no issues with staff or service - checkin and out all okay. Staff we encountered were professional and friendly. Especially when we asked for restaurant recommendations at front desk. In summary, this hotel is not poor but not excellent. Just average. It is quite difficult (expensive) to enlarge rooms/baths but perhaps some updating may help improve the look and feel.
First let me say I'm not "that person" who gives poor reviews so please take this one seriously. Went by the reviews and the fact that this place is a 3 star hotel but it should definitely be a 2 star. Maybe it was our room, I didn't see any of the others but we had to leave after one night. Stayed in the King suite. The room was not clean. I would check my phone, lay it down and six minutes later go back to it and it had dust on it. It was difficult to cool the whole room, the door to the balcony would not shut properly and there was a tower air purifier in the room right by the entry door (which should have been my first clue). The bathtub creaked and cracked while showering and overall the room was very dark. My son who has allergies couldn't breath most of the night. My advice, go right across the street and stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott...just remodeled and awesome breakfast, bright and clean with friendly staff...perfect stay!!! Oh...and I had a blood stain on my comforter on my bed...ugh. Beds were also very, very soft (as in you sink when you get in) and the pillows lumpy. The positive was that they only charged me for the one night and allowed me to check out and not be charged for the next 2 nights I had reserved my room. Thank you for that!
We have stayed in hundreds of chain hotels across the USA. This hotel is a nice place to stay but could be better. The positives: friendly staff, cleaning staff does a great job of cleaning the rooms, few miles from downtown Santa Fe, large rooms, good wifi, comfortable bed, good lighting in bathroom but a little dark in the rest of the room, laundry facilities, walking distance to several restaurants, large HDTV with HD signal, decent breakfast open from 6-10 am, good parking. The negatives: poor lighting in room(don't be fooled by the photos on their website showing brightly lit rooms), air in room has faint odor of a room that used to be a smoking room, water pressure in shower could be stronger, blackout curtain in shower. Bottom line-a could stay at a fair price. We would stay here again.
What an amazing place to stay! Far enough from the Plaza to be reasonably priced with free parking and close enough for easy access to the historic Plaza. The staff is attentive and helpful, and the room was comfortable and homey. We arrived late in the evening and the desk clerks were focused on helping us get dinner delivered! Would recommend this stop over.
We stayed 2 nights with adjoining rooms, Clean room, Nice comfortable bed. Nice breakfast selection. An onsite coin laundry is a nice plus. Staff was friendly and attentive. Pool was clean and well maintained.
Sometimes you just like something withoutmreally knowing why. We liked this hotel, the service was very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom wasn't the biggest, and of course, our pet hate, the plastic shower curtain. The TV was large, and there was a fridge and microwave. The room had a seperate kitchenette. The WiFi was good, only dropping us off once. Coffee supplies were good, and of course there was the horrible milk powder substitute. A trip down stairs to the wonderful staff resolved that issue. Parking was easy, and the supplied breakfast did a good job of getting us underway for the day.
Although Cerrillos Road can be pain, it is so accessible to everywhere we wanted to go. This BW property has comfortable rooms, a nice warm pool and hot tub and a good breakfast. My grandkids loved it. Pluses include breakfast till 10 a.m. which appeases our late sleepers. Décor is beautiful of course...it's Santa Fe after all!
I stayed one night at the Beat Western Plus Inn of Santa Fe. The hotel looks to be brand new. Rooms are very quiet, clean and huge. I could've run laps around my hotel room, it was so big. Breakfast is included in the morning and is a mix of cold and hot items. Free WiFi and parking are also available.
Our room was very spacious but super dark. We didn't like the decor. Staff was nice, breakfast was fairly good. Location was a bit far from the historic district. We enjoyed going down to the Plaza area the next day, very fun to walk around to see churches, galleries, etc. I probably wouldn't stay in this hotel again due to the very dark room.
STayed at thei Best Western on my last night on the rode during a 1600 mile ride. Conventiently located on a busy road with plenty of choices for dinner, etc. Nice property, which was very clean. Room was spacious and clean. All-in-all a good value for the money.
Unacceptable pet policy especially when not notified until arrival. Litter all around perimeter of parking lot, no place to walk dogs for potty breaks & stained bedding. Good location, quiet room and comfortable beds.
Nice clean hotel. Quiet rooms. Decor is dark Southwestern style. Easy access to historic area via a 10 minute drive which was away from the crowded old town area. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast met our needs.
The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. This hotel is in a great location. The design is a very Santa Fe style. Pool area was very nice and clean. The room was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
We have traveled from Chicago and are headed to California on Route 66. We have stayed at a BW all along the route. I have to say that they are pretty consistent with quality. The breakfast has been great with lots of choices such as waffles, pancakes, omelets, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt and even biscuits & gravy at a few places. It's plenty of food to munch on before you check out and hit the highway again. I took this photo so you could see how nice the king room was when we opened the door ?? Time to relax ????
Price was very good. We were upgraded to a very nice room. It was very clean. The decor was very southwestern...way overdone for me which made the room way too dark. The sliding door did not lock. WiFi was very good. Breakfast was great! It was located in an area we could get to everything we wanted to. There were lots of restaurants nearby.
I stayed at the Best Western in Santa Fe, NM. Very excited just by the exterior of the hotel. Upon entering, everything was just as nice. Room was beautiful with Southwest decor. 5 miles from downtown, shopping and lots of restaurants to choose from. I think Best Western might be my home away from home. Thanks for a beautiful experience!
We stayed for 3 days. Staff was very nice and efficient. Room was big, clean and so was the bathroom. Breakfast room was nice and had many things to choose from. The hotel is not in the center of town but there are many shops and restaurants around and its easy to go in and out of town
This BW had a lot of extras - lobby tables and comfortable chairs, lobby ice machine, very quiet room was well maintained, well appointed and very comfortable !!Very high value for the money . We would highly recommend this hotel
Stayed at Best Western Plus Inn of Santa Fe for a total of 4 days and it felt so very comfortable and clean...like home. Staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. Breakfasts were great every single morning. This hotel was located around everything convenient. I would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.
We stopped here for a night while on a road trip. I can't think of anything negative to say. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was good, and the price was reasonable. We were within walking distance of several restaurants for dinner and appreciated that too, as we didn't feel like driving!
The Hotel is located on a busy street, so it can be a little noisy. We stayed nine days and we were very satisfied with the service we received. The breakfast, which is included in the price, is very good and plentiful. The hotel is very clean and well managed. Make sure that you are being registered for Best Western rewards when you check in. The rewards program is not well explained.
The Bestwestern on Cerrillos Rd. in Santa Fe, NM turned out to be an excellent choice. We use these motels often but usually stay on or close to the Plaza while in Santa Fe.this trip was short so we decided to save some money off the plaza. What a great plan! We made the reservation the same day from the road and were totally satisfied with this inn. It was clean and comfortable and had good WIFI coverage.the bed was wonderful! We enjoyed the ample breakfast as well. The room had extra seating and was spacious. We'll be back again!
Loved this hotel. Great rooms, nice decor. Quiet rooms. Breakfast area was clean. Breakfast was typical. Pool area big and well kept. Fitness room was good. Could use a fan. Very pleased with this hotel.
This was a fun property. Room was clean and inviting. Friendly staff. Great, large breakfast area with lots of options and hot food. Breakfast attendant was working hard insuring items were replenished and well stocked. Only downside, it's not that near the downtown area. Would definitely stay here again.
Located close to downtown tourist attractions - a short drive away - this hotel was easy to find from the Interstate. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was comfortable and relatively quiet. Breakfast was the usual self serve but was well maintained and clean. We will stay there again when we are in Santa Fe.
I didn't actually stay here, because when I called, I was informed my friend couldn't use her Military Discount as they don't accept Military Discounts. I will NOT support anyone that does NOT support our Armed Services.
This is one of the nicest Best Westerns we have ever stayed in. It is located in the best location for everything including restaurants, grocery stores, etc. we stay here every time we as passing through Santa Fe.
This hotel was perfect. The people at the front desk were very friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable. They had everything we needed including being very pet friendly. We're traveling with our Standard poodle and they didn't even blink when I brought her in. I even had her with me in the breakfast area and nobody said a word to me. She is very well behaved but she is still a dog. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with or without your pet.
This is a fantastic place to have a staycation! The rooms were spotless the beds are so amazingly comfortable! Food is incredible, atmosphere is so inviting. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are so kind and caring. Highly recommended
The "plus" in the name is worth it! The folks are friendly, super--clean and quiet, rooms nicely appointed, great, new mattresses, and the pool and hot tub are very warm and clean. Breakfast was super; we made waffles and ate at a table by the pool. We definitely be back any and every time we have the opportunity. And we highly recommend it for others.
The service was good for a place to spend the night but was a little on the cheap side. Cut corners on the "communist" toilet paper and sheets. Wouldn't stay there again. Location was ok but i located along the commercial strip in Santa Fe.
I like Best Western hotels but this one needs to polish up on making the guest feel more at home. The room they initially put us in had a bad TV set (snowy) and after much giggling on their part, they finally asked us to move to another room. Sure, since we don't have cable and we thought after the evening runnings that we could see the 2018 Winter Olympics. Much to our dismay, they put us in a room next to the kitchen and laundry room around the corner of the front desk. 6 am came and the staff had work to do, unfortunately, it meant that they had to converse and loudly at that. So, it seems to me that nothing can be done now since the building was design and constructed without thinking about the customers. But, I would hesitate to recommend this particular Best Western again.
Sunday. Writing in my hotel room at the Best Western on Cerrillos. This indeed is a very noisy place. I expected Sunday to be a bit more quiet than the last couple of nights but this is not true. Kids running up and down the hallway. Loud conversations out in the hallway. Doors slamming. The kids do kind of amuse me with their giggling and romping though. Reminds me of when I was a tot and my biggest concern might have been how fast I could run up the stairs or if there was a diving board in the pool. No concerns about the economy collapsing or WWIII starting in myriad spots about the globe, this is for certain… But the doors of the hotel do close very loudly: when someone closes their door it slams and rattles, notifying all the immediate neighbors. There is also the outside noise of the highway and the buzzing of the big electric light and the weird beeping coming from outside somewhere. From where, who knows? It may be coming from this business next door that has a lot of trucks. Not sure though but the beeping has been somewhat annoying...but if I turn on my iTunes music this nullifies it. Other than the noise this place seems fine. The breakfast was decent and the employees seem friendly enough. Nice tv, clean. It's a bit far from the downtown plaza so I took a Lyft today. Cost about $14 one way. All in all this place was fine. I'll stay here again at some point. Future travellers: breath deeply and wear your patience cap and this place is A-one.
This was the second time we have stayed at this property, and we returned because of our satisfaction with our first visit. The hotel is located not far from I-25, and the street that it is on will take you directly to Old Santa Fe. However, it is driving distance - not walking distance. The rooms are decorated in a southwestern decor, and large enough to feel comfortable. On our previous visit we had a mini suite, and that was an enjoyable treat. Unfortunately, none were available on this visit. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean.
We chose this hotel because we have had favorable stays in Best Western Plus. We didn't mind the distance from downtown, just wanted clean and reasonable. The breakfasts were good, but not replenished in a timely manner. There were many customers each of the 3 mornings we were there.
Its a nice hotel, clean room and comfy beds. However, location is somewhat far from the center of the town and not walkable. Sketchy people around, but thats part of the Santa Fe charm. Overall good stay, but would pick a more central location.
Unplanned one night stay in Santa Fe, NM. This property is convenient and away from the busy Plaza. However, getting to the Plaza is easy. Our check-in was easy, clean room ready with a comfortable bed. I was surprised that the noise from the road was noticeable but not annoying. We never heard any noise from the hall or nearby rooms. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
Great breakfast buffet. We were there for 2 days and breakfast was different second day. Apple pancakes one day and bacon and cheese omelets the second day. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Also, pet friendly.
Wouldn't stay because the rooms are dark and dated (not just because of the decor), no outlets for charging devices, rooms are small, bathrooms are SUPER SMALL, noise level from hallway and road was horrible (very thin walls), breakfast was not worth eating...McDonald's would have been better. Pool area was nice and the price wasn't bad but we will defiantly look for another option on our next trip. Looks like they tried to remodel but evidence of age and use is everywhere. Didn't even feel comfortable walking around without any shoes.
The king suite was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom was a little small.. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Convenient location, though a little far from the center of town. Seemed like a good value for the price, as Best Western properties usually are.
The room was nice, the pool was clean and not crowded. The pool towels need to be bigger. The breakfast was a great added bonus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the market for a nice clean hotel room in Santa Fe.
Beautiful motel and guest rooms with awesome decor and friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get to which is a plus with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby! Easy parking, express checkout. Plenty of amenities with a great breakfast to the start of your day. And a Kuerig in your room!!!
I have stayed here before which is why I chose this hotel for my Christmas vacation. Friendly staff, everyone! Fantastic clean rooms, great parking, nice location, and a safe place to stay. I will stay here again in the near future.
This hotel is a nice place. It is in the comercial area and about 5 miles of downtown Santa Fe. Decorations are N.M. Style. People is friendly and helpful. Rooms are small. Breakfast is ok. Waffles, scrambled eggs, etc.
This hotel projects its southwest location with lots of southwest decor. Good location on a main artery 3 miles from downtown center. Parking is close. Tip: you can get a little street noise on north side of hotel; south will be quietest. Easy to get a good rest on comfortable bed. This is not your cookie cutter standard hotel. Bonus: there is an outlet for charging electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid vehicles at night when lights are on.
Dogs barked all night in the hallway and interrupted sleep. I guess pet friendly means the rest of the guests don't get a good night's sleep. I will not be staying in a pet friendly hotel again! Thanks Best Western!!!
This property is exceptional. It's clean, well furnished, plenty of amenities, great staff and good breakfast choices. I highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to staying here again in the future.
The front desk staff was very helpful during check-in and with a few questions I had. The room itself was nice and quiet. It's great to see nicer furniture that fits with the southwest style of the hotel. From the decor in the room to the lobby and even the breakfast area, it's clear the people here care about their property. Breakfast was good, too. I'd be happy to stay here again if I'm in the area.
Large two room suite nicely furnished. Had great nights sleep in quite dark bedroom with a large tv. Nice bath area with separte living room with tv, frig and microwave. Both rooms had separate temperature settings with a door to close off bedroom from living room. I stay here every time I'm in Santa Fe, NM.
I have lived in Santa Fe off and on for many years and didn't know anything about this hotel until I had the pleasant surprise of staying there last weekend. The rooms were lovely, very well decorated and the staff was extremely pleasant. It was the yes Best Western experience I have ever had and will definitely stay there again!
We were traveling across the great USA and made a 3-day, 2-night stay in Santa Fe and surrounding area. We were "walk in" guests as had no prior reservation. Staff was friendly and great and provided a room upgrade as we are Platinum BW Members. Great stay and will plan to visit again.
We opted for a suite here at a very reasonable price, The kids loved the pool and hot tub and the breakfast in the morning was hot and plentiful. The beds were super comfy and we did indeed, get all rested up for the final leg of our journey.Staff was super friendly and accommodating.
This is our very favorite Best Western. We love the room décor. The rooms are spotless. The bedding is a step above. The beds are wonderful. It's in a area that is close to nice restaurants and has easy access to the downtown plaza. The breakfast is always good. The check-in is easy. They even changed our room so we could have a first floor room by a door. (We travel with a small dog.) We stay in this Best Western every year and are never disappointed! We highly recommend it! You won't be disappointed!
Every time I go to Colorado and farther I stay at this best Western. It is pet friendly as a big plus. The rooms are always immaculate and the staff is always going above and beyond the call of duty. Breakfast is wonderful too.
The Rooms was nice. The temperature was perfect in the room. If I or when I visit Santa Fe, New Mexico again. I plan to stay in this same hotel and the same room. There is a Starbucks close by and close to many restaurants!
The king suite was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The motel is conveniently located to attractions and restaurants. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was like staying in a mini apartment. We would highly recommend it to other visitors to Santa Fe, NM.
We were travelling from Winnipeg to Phoenix with our dog. This was This was our 3rd night in a Best Western pet friendly hotel. As far as the in-room amenities for people it was great. Came with what was stated. Clean and comfortable rooms. Decor was southwest with western accents. Didn't use any amenities other than internet and breakfast. The only negative comment I would have is that there is never enough light. As this is our first time travelling with a dog I thought pet friendly might have meant an enclosed green space for the dogs.
Besides a crying child across the hall, we had a comfortable stay here. Beds were comfortable, internet was decent, amenities were standard and room was clean! Breakfast was the standard hot meal that is served at most hotels these days. We would stay again.
Very nice hotel to stay at, very nice rooms, clean and comfortable, they have good breakfast, and staff is very nice. Good location for meetings and shopping. I always try to stay here when in Santa Fe
Hotel, lobby, room, everything appeared old and dirty. They need sanitizing wipes in the exercise room. there was a tip jar in breakfast area - very TACKY! Didn't help that there was some kind of drilling going on right on the property. workers could see into the pool area. UGH! Hot tub and pool were ok.
This hotel is located off Cerrillos Rd, same as Hwy 14 that connects Old Town Santa Fe with the Turquoise Trail road to the south. Hotel is offset from the road a bit, not far from restaurants and Starbucks. I think it is one of the better hotels in this local area, very helpful staff. We were able to check in early so that my wife could have a place to stay while I went to work for a few hours off-site. Decor is rustic southwestern, nice comfortable rooms with frig and microwave. Good experience.
best choice of any motel we have stayed at. would recommend this motel to anyone who is traveling. the service was excellent, the staff was accommodating. we were taken care of from the moment we arrived till we departed.
This was my first time to stay at this Best Western in Santa Fe. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up staying an additional night. The "executive" room was a little more expensive but well worth the huge size. Newly refurnished with a sofa and two huge chairs and a wonderful bed. Very nice heated indoor pool and spa. Coffee available 24 hours a day. Had cookies in the lobby the second day I was there. Breakfast had nice selection of both hot and cold items. Property on Cerrillos Avenue with lots of shopping and restaurants. Front desk staff efficient and friendly. To me the best feature is that it is pet friendly with no ridiculous fees for my dog. This is the main reason I will return every time I am in Santa Fe. For the past 13 years I have stayed several times each year at a competitor just down the street who also has no pet fees but the front desk staff there has become very surly and unfriendly. Nice to come here where the staff is so welcoming.
We stayed here for one night as it would be an easy return to Albuquerque via Cerillos Road (the hotel is outside the main tourist area). The room was extremely comfortable and included a nice lounge chair with an ottoman. We enjoyed a full hot breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly at check-in and quick to help with an incident...an alarm clock went off at midnight in the vacant room next to us and would not stop chiming. The staff responded quickly and we returned to a good night's sleep.
This hotel is very nicely decorated. Front desk staff were very helpful and check in was done quickly. Our room was beautiful. We had a suite which was large and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is included. Location is good with several choices of restaurants within walking distance. Stores are a short drive away. I would recommend this hotel.
Hotel staff was friendly and nice. Rooms were very clean and updated. The hot breakfast on site was a plus and the location of the hotel couldn't be better. It is on the main street in Santa Fe close to lots of restaurants and shops.
Pretty Sante Fe decor, nice, warm pool and hot tub, great waffles! Staff was very knowledgeable about the area - very helpful, friendly and courteous. Close to restaurants, shopping and activities. Really enjoyed our stay.
The staff here is friendly and helpful. The location is good, and the price is right. The breakfast was good with many choices and ample seating. We have stayed there before, and will again. (We try for Best Western properties wherever we go.)
Stayed here for 3 nights. Good location near restaurants and other businesses and just a few miles from Old Town Plaza. Room was clean. Nice southwestern decor in room and hotel. Room seemed small and a little cramped for family of 4. Bathroom was very small. Room needs more outlets to charge devices. Beds were very comfortable. Kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub. Pool area is spacious and has windows with views to the outside. The breakfast food selections were adequate. Depending on what time you got to the breakfast determined if there was adequate seating as that area is small. There is overflow seating in the pool area but one morning even that was full so we had to sit in the cold lobby area far from the breakfast area. Shades are needed in the breakfast area as the morning sun is blinding for half the tables in there. Was very annoyed when room key would not work 2 days in a row after spending the day out and about. Had a great time in the Santa Fe area with our stay at the Best Western. Would rate the overall hotel stay as just average.
I spent one night at the Santa Fe BW and was completely satisfied with my stay. I have recently stayed at two other BW hotels and each one was consistent in the quality of service. So far - no complaints.
Nice clean room but you need better lighting to read by it was too dark.. there is no microwave in the room. The breakfast was good the breakfast room was fine' People nice and friendly. We would stay there again.
After a bad experience in booking hotels in advance which have turned out to be terrible, we elected to keep with the Best Western brand, after we were rescued by an excellent Best Western in Alburquerque. This one here again in Santa Fee is of the same excellent standard with very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast with the reservation. Good swimming pool and hot tub. I highly recommend.
The outside is attractive Pablo style and looks newer than it really is. Our room had been recently remodeled but still seemed old and dated looking. The room was rather dark (not enough lighting) and dark colors. My bed sunk in the middle and stuck in the middle is where I spent the night because every time I'd try to make use ot the edge of the bed I would roll back to the low slump in the middle. There was only one elevator and it is at one end of the hotel so if you are at the other end you will have ways to go. The breakfast room was poorly laid out and was very awkward and difficult to get about in because of the overcrowding. We had to find a table by the pool to sit and eat the breakfast. The food was like most of these places do nowadays with scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage sitting in food warmers where it becomes cold as soon as you get to your table. And there are the waffles, toast, pastries, cereal and some fruit. I usually bring my own food because I prefer something a little more healthy. The location was out away from the historic district and not far from shopping areas and some restaurants and seemed safe even for an evening stroll although along it is along a busy highway.
We stayed in a king suite. The decor definitely had a south west feel. Lots of room, comfortable atmosphere. Diva at the front desk was very helpful directing us to a local restaurant and places we should see as we only had a short time to spend there.
Very nice, clean. I would highly recommend it. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is more than adequate. Easy to find and get in and out, plenty of parking available. They offer senior discounts, which helps a bunch.
Decor is great, beds comfortable, breakfast great, location good for touring and seeing sites.Would recommend to all.Staff was helpful with all questions, good variety of restaurants nearby.Only bad was noisy neighbors.
Located on a very busy main route through Santa Fe, this hotel is a prime location for getting to and from everywhere we like to go. The décor is beautiful and our room was lovely and comfortable. Pool and hot tub were a perfect temperature and the breakfast was ample and tasty.
This is one of the best Best Westerns I've stayed in. I got the King Suite and it was absolutely huge. It had a hot tub in it and was decor'd very nicely...exactly what you'd expect in Santa Fe. Sure there are nicer hotels but we were only passing through and wanted a nice, clean place for the night. For the money, it was fantastic. Probably the best bang for the buck our entire vacation.
Clean rooms, comfortable beds and good staff. We asked for a first floor room and they upgraded us to a Jacuzzi room. We had other plans and didn't eat there but it was a nice area with plenty of room. We will stay there again.
This hotel does make an effort to decorate in a Southwestern style with attention to detail beyond other nearby chains that make no such effort and pay little or no attention to detail. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful - no complaints there. The breakfast offered is underwhelming. Expecting "free" hotel breakfasts to be more might be expecting too much, but many hotels make a better effort at it. More importantly our room was underwhelming. I'd like to see what the other rooms are like, because I wouldn't book the same room if I came back. I'll assume each room has a similar very dark carpet like ours had and the site photo displays. It hides whatever might be on it, and how dirty or clean it is, and that was discomforting. The decor in general was brown tones, dark woods, dark carpeting. I appreciate a theme, but I would rather be left with an impression that there aren't any bugs in/behind the furniture like the one in our bed when I pulled down the sheets. Like many hotels in the area, this one has been around a while. Our tub had developed cracks in it, one of them unsightly patched. It creaked when you stood in it. The shower rod was loose on the wall and a tile loose on the floor. The door was loose fitting - no seal on its edges. Light and sound transmitted through well. The room was also the smallest in the hotel according to the floor plan displayed on the inside of the door. The hotel has a wide range of room sizes. Room 210 & 310 abut a hall utility closet that takes up floor space from only the adjoining room. The room area felt quaint and cozy, but the bathroom was left feeling cramped. The toilet was laughably small. Like for 5 year-olds. These rooms should be left for emergency overflow, not for patrons with advance reservations. It was fine for a night and leave the next morning, but I wouldn't choose this hotel given other options. It's nothing special, and it's surrounded by competing hotels near the same price point. You could do worse, but you could do better.
Outstanding breakfast buffet, lovely pool and hot tub. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice stay in Santa Fe. It is on the Main Street into town and an easy drive to see all the sights. You will love it.
Great location in Santa Fe. The rooms are super comfy and I LOVE the decor! It has an authentic feel with updated rooms and the bed is comfy! Hotel staff has been great. It's my hotel of choice when I come to Santa Fe on business or leisure! Excellent rates for the great quality that you receive.
People, do not stay at this hotel. There are better choices in Santa Fe, that offer better professional service, cleaner rooms and better prices. This hotel has house keeping staff that are not cleaning the rooms properly. Check your rooms people, for the prices you pay at this place the room each day you stay should be spotless and thoroughly cleaned. Many of these house keepers are just going in making the bed, putting in clean towels and not vacuuming, wiping up counter tops or cleaning the bathroom properly. This place has no ambiance and unprofessional staff, dirty front doors. This hotel wants to call itself a plus, a Best Western Plus, it is not, it is a run of the mill hotel with no special amenities. Put your money somewhere else where you know you will get good honest service and professional people who care.
We were traveling was pet and our pet was free!! The breakfast was very good. They had apples wrapped with pancakes that were great! The staff was friendly. The room could have been cleaner. There was a lot of debris under the bed skirt that should have been vacuumed up. The bathroom was clean.
We had a suite, so lots of room, HaHa. Not the bathroom. The door to the bathroom opens in so once you enter you could not close the door comfortably. You need to be Houdini or step into the tub. They should replace existing door with a sliding door. Mattress was old and sink was slow to drain. Disappointed.
Found this hotel on line and it provided a reasonably priced room in a fairly expensive market. Rooms, pool room and breakfast were all good quality. Location was convenient for our drive to 25 N in the morning.
We received an upgrade on our accomodations to a suite while staying here. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable. We were close by the elevator but the sound did not bother us. There are many nearby restaurants and shopping areas that are fairly easy to get to. We had no problems and will stay here again when we are through Santa Fe.
This was probably my 6th or 7th stay at this hotel, that should say it all. The property is well located in Santa Fe close to shopping and sight seeing. Easy to get into and out of . Great parking. The property is clean and beautiful and the staff is awesome.
We were here for a quick overnight on a trip around NM. The hotel had a nice pool and hot tub, The decor in the bathroom and breakfast room were beautiful. Pretty decent hotel except for the breakfast. They are set back in the 1970's as far as breakfast. What hotel serves instant coffee?
This is a very good value for Santa Fe and is one of my favorite Best Westerns. It isn't right on the Plaza, but close enough to be convenient. It is close to my favorite new "immersive art" gallery, Meow Wolf, and to several good restaurants.
We have travelled across the US for almost 3 months and this is one of the best appointed hotels we have stayed in. Admittedly the overall cost was a little higher than most but it was worth it. The decor is beautifully reflective of New Mexico. We were upgraded to a suite so we had plenty of room to relax. The breakfasts were great and we enjoyed using the pool and fitness centre. The staff were helpful and personable. It is not within walking distance of the Plaza so a car is desirable although it may be easy enough to catch a bus or cab.
Great vacation and much needed! Perfect place to relax and recharge! Will definitely stay there again! we will be recommending it to others. Guest services were very helpful and answered all our questions. Looking forward to bringing the rest of the family soon.
This is an older property that has been made over. The room was comfortable - fitting for Santa Fe; had a gorgeous view. We didn't have opportunity to use other amenoties except wi-fi because we were meeting family and pursuing dinner/ breakfast, etc. elsewhere. We would stay again.
Have stayed at this Best Western 4 times now. We travel with 2 large dogs and have a great experience every time. Staff is great, hotel is comfortable, and close to everything. We were not charged a pet deposit which is a plus.
Stayed one night with a Church group of 40 people very nice hotel friendly employees we had a very nice breakfast in the morning, a large amount of thing to choose from parking for the bus very close to the hotel
Helpful, courteous staff. The room was comfortable and clean. Amenities like the fitness center, complimentary coffee and internet were also important. We will definitely stay here again in the future
Generally ok but had issues with key getting into the motel itself. Room key stopped working. Curtains in room wouldn't close. Overall room was clean which is important. Stayed one night and didn't eat their breakfast so can't comment on food. Would most likely not stay there again.
Our suite was attractively decorated in a local style. The mattress was very comfortable, the sitting area was pleasant, the room was quiet, and we enjoyed our two-night stay. The room had both a fire detector as well as a carbon monoxide detector. It appeared to be very clean but when we wiped up a water spill, we discovered the floor had been swept but not mopped. Wifi was very good the first night but rarely held a connection the second night. Breakfast offerings were the average sweet cereals & pastries, eggs and waffles.
The Best Western was okay for one night but more than that might've been disappointing. Breakfast was nice, parking was easy, bed comfortable, plenty of TV channels. Internet didn't seem to work, and couldn't use tub (shower worked fine). A bit far from good restaurants but near lots of big box shops and fast food. Again, if you are passing through, need a place to sleep and have some breakfast, this place worked out fine.
stayed at the Best Western in Santa Fe with my husband in the suite, very comfortable room and bed, plenty of space to relax in. Breakfast consisted of eggs/ham/sausage with cereal, breads and pastries available. Walking distance to Olive Garden and Chilis restaurant. Nice to be away from the busy downtown area!
Nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location on main street in Santa Fe. Short drive to old town. Room was very comfortable with all the standard amenities. Lots of channels on TV. Missing TV guide channel. This is one of my pet peeves with hotel tv. Travellers are in a new town and don't know what to watch on tv. A guide channel would be most helpful
The breakfast area was very small. Either they used powder eggs or watered them down. When we checked in I told them we had two small dogs so I could sign the proper paperwork with the information for the dogs. Out of all the hotels we have stayed in through many many years, we have never been told that if they barked we would be asked to leave. I feel that was pretty extreme as most dog owners are very responsible especially at retirement age.
We stayed here when attending the Santa Fe Opera. The room was simply furnished and clean. Staff was very pleasant. Given the hotel rates in Santa Fe during the summer season, this room was an exceptional value. IT is a bit of a distance from the Plaza, perhaps a 10 minute drive.
Really nice and helpful staff. A reasonable alternative to the very expensive places near the Plaza in Santa Fe.Close enough to Downtown, only about 10 minute drive. The indoor pool was meticulously maintained. Breakfast, included is good.
On 2 of the 3 nights I was overcharged from the rate I was told when I made the reservations. The wifi was totally unacceptable. The tv picture was no def and blurry. Need more ac for charging devices.
Good location close to restaurants . Lots of places to eat that you can walk to. Has a nice pool and fitness area to . The staff help me extend my room over the Indian market weekend which is the biggest thing that happens in Santa Fe
Friendly, clean, pet friendly, caring efficient staff. Little off the interstate if traveling but good if visiting Santa Fe. Shopping nearby, restaurants not real close. Great place for travel with kids and pets.
This was our first trip to Santa Fe and staying at this nice clean hotel was a great start! Clean, well equipped rooms, a friendly and helpful staff, a nice hot breakfast, indoor pool and very easy to get to downtown Santa Fe. I felt that the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great, and it was!
I was not impressed with the outside view and nieghborhood that this BW was in but the staff professionalism and friendliness made up for it. The location was good to get to down town historical sights, shopping and restaurants and still close to the freeway.
Although Best Westerns are independently operated, their reputation for consistent quality keeps me coming back. We chose the Best Western Plus in Santa Fe because it has a pool for our grandchildren to enjoy. The rooms and baths were appointed with immaculate linens, and there was room enough for a sofa and coffee table, where the children could color and play. The continental breakfast had variety to please any appetite.
Excellent staff and maid service. The rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable. It was very conveniently located, too.I really enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings with my wife to have an adult beverage with my nightly cigar. I wish there were more restaraunts nearby.
They are reliable as always. We never disappointed. We have stayed at this hotel in the past as the service was good. The location was near all stores as well as a Wall Mart. All restaurants we wanted were close by, (meaning homemade food as well as well known restaurants. We also had fresh baked cookies every day. My husband was grateful. When we arrived back to the hotel He would hurry to the cookie plate. We had to request a item once. It arrived with good service.
this hotel is really clean and staff is great! the manager megan is soo helpful the breakfast is great the room are clean and quiet and all the staff is super good I will recommend this hotel to my friends!!!!!!!!
Very busy street about 41/2 miles from downtown Santa Fe . Clean rooms comfy beds good breakfast . Lots of retailers and fast food chains around . If your looking for culture this is not the area to be in . We were on the first floor and there were lots of dogs staying there and were barking most of the time so ask to stay on a different floor .
I'm glad we stayed at this Best Western for three nights. We needed a good rest with a mix of fun and that's just what we got. This hotel is not in the center of the city and that was just perfect for us. It's easy to get to off of the highway and it's easy to get to the city center from there. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast wasn't great, but it was good and FREE. The decor is Southwestern. Some of the pictures in the hallway were changed while we were there and each one was interesting. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
We stopped overnight on trip between Austin and Telluride. The Best Western delivered pretty much as expected for tried and true reliability of all (well most!) Best Westerns. We were traveling with our dog, so dog friendly rooms were a plus. Breakfast was average. The rooms were very nicely decorated in southwestern/Santa Fe style so it adds a bit of character to an otherwise chain hotel in anywhere, USA. Good location about 3 miles to downtown. Would stay there again if a quick stopover and place to lay the head was all that was in order. For longer stays, would find a boutique or Airbnb downtown.
Hotel was typical Best Western. The room decent as most Best Westerns are. The bed was ok, but definitely could use an upgrade. The breakfast was also decent and convenient to start the day. However, the Internet - Wi-Fi was terrible, which unfortunately has been a trend with some of my stays at Best Westerns of late. And unfortunately on this trip, when I had to make a repair to the hotel guest PC that was available. Printer drivers and settings were not working. Not the fault of the Hotel staff, but it would be nice if they didn't rely on guests to fix the problems.
Everything about this hotel was exceptional and I slept so peacefully in the comfortable bed! The room décor was southwestern which suited the hotel perfectly. The breakfast area was a bit small but we were able to secure a table and gave away one of our chairs to accommodate a family.
Lovely hotel and rooms. Convenient location. Although it seemed booked, never felt crowded for breakfast or the pool. Enjoyed the southwestern décor throughout the hotel. I've stayed at BW Premium or Premier so wasn't sure about Plus but it was excellent, clean & reasonable.
Nice clean hotel and room, great staff, good nights sleep. This is a nice place to stay over. We stayed for two nights and had no problems even with the hotel being sold out both nights. We will be returning.
We really enjoyed our stay here . We were only here one night, but plan to come back to stay here. We were greeted with a smile and had a great time. Our room was very clean and inviting. The entire facility is very upscale.
This hotel was very close to the main street, there was no road noise. The entrance was kind of confusing, but it was more the entrance being so close to other businesses. Check in was easy and there were no issues. It was not far from the downtown square and close enough to other restaurants and activities.
Clean hotel with friendly staff with good service. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Breakfast selections were vast; hot and cold items available. We chose to eat outside at the little table by the doors. Will stay here again!
This property was very nice decorated. Surrounding area looks questionable but we had no problems. Mattress was little softer than we prefer but it was okay. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are very clean. We would stay here again.
On a recent trip to New Mexico we decided at the last minute to meet a family friend in Santa Fe. As one might expect in the summer travel season, many hotels were booked up. I finally discovered accommodations at this Best Western. We were all very pleased with the south western décor, the size of the rooms and the many amenities. No suites were available, but the lady at the front desk worked very hard to place us in adjoining rooms to help us supervise the grandboys. The breakfast room was a bit small, but breakfast choices were plentiful. However restocking did not keep up with demand on this day. The price is right and the location is acceptable. Its only a short drive to the downtown historic plaza. It was just a quick trip, but we will return again.
Just needed a room for the night as we were traveling through. This was the best value and location I could find. Clean rooms, friendly staff. I would stay here again if passing through. Would stay in old Santa Fe if there to see the sights. The breakfast room was small with not enough area to sit.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santa Fe. It's clean, comfortable, reasonable and the staff is all very friendly. My wife has a cleanliness test that she performs. Are the window sills clean. If they are then the room must be just as clean. The Best Western passed with flying colors.
used the Flagstaff B/W on the way along the I-40 no problems or headaches weather was nasty so I suggest to all get a reservation before stopping in glad we stopped pre-booked a first floor room close to door sure made life easier
Sorry stopped on the way to Canada from Louisiana. Staff was great rooms outdated and breakfast was less than desirable sorry to staff for this rating y'all were great. Location was in a fair distance to the things we wanted to do.
On the way back to Ca. we stopped here overnight. We found the hotel to be very nice and clean with nice rooms. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It has an indoor pool and, as always, a really good breakfast to get your day started. This hotel is not right off the freeway but it was easy to find and near stores and various restaurants. I would stay here again.
This is a Best Western Minus. The lobby and rooms are updated and nice. Bathrooms look like they have not been updated in 20 years. Breakfast was poor -- ran out of food and poor selection. Small eating area so guests had to stand. HVAC rattled all night -- in two of the three rooms we stayed in. Bathtub creaked loudly when taking a shower. Fitness center equipment was subpar and the heat was on full blast (no A/C in the summer). Wi-Fi was weak during three day stay and then died for 5 hours. Definitely a Minus Inot a Plus).
Stay in Santa Fe for a couple day on business. Room and bed were very comfortable. However both mornings the breakfast was sub standard, out of item , out of plastic ware. and the internet forget it you might get on for 2 minutes then dropped. This happen for both days not front desk help.
This hotel is fairly close to Historic Santa Fe and easy to access. The hotel is clean and attractive. Pets are welcome. Breakfast was good. Price was reasonable. Staff was helpful -- we arrived very early and were given a room upon arrival. Room was spacious, attractive and the bed was very comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave were provided.
best western made me feel right at home. the breakfast was fantastic ,the staff was #1 everyone was so helpful, i couldn't ask for anything more. thanks for a great stay. when i return to see my kids again i will stay at the best western plus for sure.
We are always staying at this hotel in the future. The complimentary breakfast was ***** restaurant quality. The bed pillows and quiet provided the best sleep at any hotel ever. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.
My family and I enjoyed the nicely decorated hotel and room, it was pretty comfortable. Decent pool and hot tub. (Only bad thing : Wi-fi connection didn't work very well for our phones and computer in our room). We enjoyed the food truck close by, run by a nice couple who keep it clean and serve good Mexican food, excellent carne asada burrito and tacos (el pastor)! Close to a lot of other great restaurants too! Would stay here again!
Friendly staff, clean hotel and room, offered a good breakfast that never went empty. Coffee was good to. Centrally located near all shopping, the downtown plaza, and and many other tourist attractions.
This is our favorite place to stay as a family! It doesn't matter the season, the staff is always friendly, the hotel as a whole is always clean as are the rooms, and the pool is always a big splash for the kids and adults alike!
This is a very good hotel to stay at when visiting Santa Fe. The location makes it a short drive to the downtown area to enjoy the historic areas of Santa Fe. It is also located near many great eaterys.
BW Santa Fe is located less than 5 miles from downtown. The rooms are really nice with typical furniture, a mix of native-spanish style that we appreciated a lot. Our room was not too large but very confortable with coffee machine and fridge. The hotel has also an indoor pool that we didn't try. The staff of the hotel is amazing and ready to help you, thanks to Megan and all the front desk team. Free hot continental breakfast according to BW standards.
We always look for a Best Western at our destinations because we know the rooms will be clean and comfortable and they have a fantastic breakfast that starts at 6 am which is a plus for us early risers.
We stayed just one night and got the single queen room(great value)! I loved the concept when you just need to stay one night just buy what you need! A smaller bed and room but everything you need is there! The decor is very southwest and made you feel like you are in Santa Fe. The staff was friendly and did their jobs well. Will stay again when we get a chance to visit Santa Fe.
There is no better place to stay in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have stayed in most of them in 28 years of traveling in my past working experience. you will generally find that where ever you stay in a Best Western, they certainly have upgraded their services and facilities.
We had 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog and stayed comfortably. Amenities are great (pool, breakfast)! A special note on the pool as my kids said it was the best pool they have ever swam in because of warm temperature and size. This has been our favorite hotel on a long cross country road trip.
Have stayed here twice in the past two weeks. The hotel is nice, all areas are clean, and the rooms are nice. There is a free breakfast that includes cereal, pastries/toasts, yogurt, sausage, eggs, potatoes, waffle makers, and a rotating hot tray (was french toast and then pancakes wrapped around apples on two of the mornings). Indoor pool, business area, wi-fi in rooms. It is also close to a strip mall and a variety of restaurants. There is "room service" but it is contracted through an outside restaurant, (a pizza place, with limited options), and it was almost an hour long wait time.
We stayed in 8 different hotels and this one was the cleanest and nicest of them all. The room was decorated in southern theme, very roomy. The bed was comfortable; we just was happy to have found this hotel. We took our breakfast out on the balcony to eat the next morning; it was really nice
Air conditioning unit was horribly loud and too hot to turn unit off. Difficult to park, parking lot very full. Room was very clean, comfortable bed. Did not use pool or fitness room. Checkout was easy.
The Best Western Plus of Santa Fe was a nice place to stay. Easy to find, people at the front desk were helpful in how to find places. Small breakfast area, but you can also sit by the pool for your breakfast. Easy parking and getting in and out lot. Room was comfy and good hot breakfast.
I used my points to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Santa Fe, NM and the room was amazing! We had a jacuzzi tub and wet bar, large suite and it was also equipped with refrigerator and microwave---. The bed was a king and very comfortable and the breakfast was marvelous! We had stayed there a few years back and the hotel was on the decline and needed to be refurbished so, I was hesitant to stay there but were we surprised! I definitely recommend it!
The Best Western Plus is right in the midst of all the busyness of Cerriollos Road, so it is a few miles to the plaza and the historic district. This hotel is an older property, but the rooms appear to be recently redecorated. Our room was nice, the bathroom was very clean, the bed was quite comfortable, the wifi worked great, the breakfast was as expected, and the price was reasonable.
the beds were so comfortable most beds are horrible but these were great my grandson had a blast thank you Pool was clean and believe me my grandson took advantage being 21/2 yrs , that is a big deal when things are clean. Breakfast was great all the employees were freindly. thank you for a great time
We stayed in the King Suite - very nice!! The furniture was great and the room was spacious. The bed was comfy and breakfast was (as always) very good. We love the free, hot, full breakfast. A great value!
Excellent Hotel. Professional staff, very nice room, more than cereal for breakfast. The room was very clean and professionally decorated. The pool and hot tub area was also clean and maintained. The one drawback, and it isn't the hotel's fault, is that it is a ways from downtown Santa Fe and the Plaza area. That simply meant that you had to drive and find parking. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind.
The excellent consistency of this BW in Santa Fe is the reason we always return. Our dogs know where they are at and like the hotel. We do also. Easy access from the Freeway, and easy access to the downtown area.
Very clean room but just not enough lighting. The room was a little small. Very quiet so we slept very well and enjoyed the stay even though we only stayed one night. We hope to return again this year and the next year too.
Nice hotel with very knowledgeable and helpful staff...very convenient to a main traffic thoroughfare that leads to the historic downtown area (without being in it)......construction going on detracts from aesthetics on one side of the hotel only ...never heard any noises from same in my room. Internet helpful and good breakfast. A good value for the money - well pleased with this hotel. Nice little lobby and pool.
Many hotels we have stayed in have had a limited number of "pet friendly" rooms. The BW Santa Fe apparently has no limit. At times we felt we were staying in a kennel. There were dogs everywhere and barking in rooms all night. The last straw was when a guest brought his dog into the breakfast room. The fan switch on our room A/C did not work and the fan stayed on at full speed all the time. We asked on two different days of our three night stay for it to be repaired. It was not. Our choice was to try to sleep through the constant fan noise or turn it off and sleep with the window open. When trying the window open option, we discovered how many guests take their dogs out in the middle of the night to poop, run around, and bark. Never again!
The room was ok but very dated with poor sound proofing... all equipment was very noisy, the fridge door was open when we arrived and it wouldn't t shut down making a terrible din, so much so I had to unplug it, the air conditioner was also so noisy it was impossible to sleep with it running thus the room got very hot... the wifi was so poor it kept dropping connection on mobile devices and was impossible to complete further booking and flights for our trip, I spent half the evening on the phone to the wifi company to get it fixed as the lady on reception said she had done all she could... the breakfast area was crowded and guests had to wait or come back for a table, the quality of breakfast was poor. I have stayed at many Best Westerns and this is worse I have stayed in. The lady on reception didn't ask how our stay was, I think the reason why is she doesn't want to hear the reply... we have stayed in a lot better for less cost...
This hotel should not be a plus. Rooms need to be refurbished. Hotel as well as room had a musty smell. No soundproofing at all. Could hear every word in room next door. Bedding is very worn as is the furniture. I cannot recommend hotel.
Stayed with my family. Upon a late arrival the hotel front was being remodeled and you had to enter through the back. Parking lot was dark and had no parking as the front had construction going on an took up quite a few parking spots. We had a suite and the sliding glass door did not lock and was not locked when we arrived. Anyone could cross over from other balcony's. We has to use a closet rod to secure the sliding door. I had to make several trips to the car late and people were able to access the hotel without using a card reader. Skip this hotel as there are safer choices.
First time here at Best Western in Santa Fe,NM. Rooms nice, clean & roomy. Nice comfortable loveseat in the room. It had a fridge & coffee maker. Staff pleasant. Morning breakfast included wheat waffles! Oh so good. Other items eggs, diced potatoes, french toast, sausage. Plus more too much to mention. Good decor, very clean dining area. I would come back! Free parking. Indoor pool & hot tub. Ashley Serrano Ft.Worth,TX
The hotel had a wonderful look that agreed with the culture of Santa FE. It is close to the old city and the newer part of Santa Fe. When you are at the hotel one feels like being home, only better. Having stayed at many Best Western Plus hotels, this one puts many of them to shame. Even the pool was heated correctly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that expects an excellent experience.
Construction going on. Internet pictures are deceiving. Rooms & bathrooms are dated, dark, grungy, noisy and internet did not work in back of hotel? We arrived at 11pm and was too late to cancel but we checked-out a day early. I would have rather spent the $ on a nicer place. I received the AAA rate but still ended up with $115 bill. Won't happen again.
Took the family for a long weekend. This hotel was perfect. Everyone was super friendly and the room was clean. The hotel is right on the main road, so getting around Santa Fe was a breeze! Would definitely go again.
Because they are currently renovating the front of the hotel, it was a little confusing where to enter when we arrived. That being said, everything else was great. The rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable, the bathroom was a bit small but nice hot showers with good pressure, the bed was comfortable (we had a cute balcony), and the breakfast was well stocked and good quality. It was also convenient to the highway, restaurants and shops.
Santa Fe BW was fantastic. Beautiful hotel 4.5 miles from downtown. Loved the Southwest decor. Beautiful rooms, very comfortable beds and excellent staff. Everyone was friendly & Marie was wonderful, very helpful after a long day on the road.
This was my first trip to Santa Fe and I was looking for a great place to have dinner and directions to see the sights of downtown Santa Fe. Diva at the front desk was a great help in giving us directions to the restaurant and the downtown area. She was very thorough in her directions and I thanked her upon my return. The hotel was very nice and clean. The breakfast was a full hot breakfast which helped me start my day. Thank you Diva for all the great service!
Our room was ok, and the breakfast was about average. We had our 2 dogs with us, & this was supposed to be a pet friendly hotel. It wasn't, the area for the dogs was in a gully with big rocks & no grass, when we checked out , I mentioned the problem with the pet area. She told me they had just changed to pet friendly, so I told her until they make some changes, they might not want to claim to be pet friendly.
I was most disappointed to learn upon check in that the hotel was under renovation for two weeks prior to my arrival. When I raised this to the people upon check in they advised me of the date of the start of the renovation. There was ample time to notify incoming guests. Further upon getting to my third floor room, I found the hallways filled with furniture that was either being removed from rooms and/or being placed within rooms. Both these circumstances made the hotel far less than desirable. Management/ownership at the hotel is responsible for this and it should have been noted on the site at the time of making reservations or advising incoming guests of the hotel conditions. Parking lot had old furniture and trucks likely connected to the furniture replacement in the front area making it difficult to pull your car around. Management chose short term gain for long term customer satisfaction. I will not use this hotel again. Given the conditions at the hotel I believe that I overpaid for the hotel. Though I expect the renovations to be complete in short order, I expect the hotel to have this listed under their hotel description.
Bed so comfortable, front desk very nice, rooms very clean, new furniture will return, the only thing is that kids were throwing snow in pool, mother didn't stop them pretty soon pool was pretty dirty
I discovered BWI in Europe about 20 years ago, then began using them in the US. I believe BWI is the most consistent in their quality and service of any hotels in their price range I have experienced.
Driving from Arizona to Wisconsin. Looked online for a pet friendly hotel and found the Best Western Plus......looks like it just finished a complete renovation. Rooms were freshly decorated in Santa Fe style, immaculate, and most comfortable beds!!
Great hotel, we normally have a good stay here. However, this last time we got a room next to the elevators. Not good if you want a good night's sleep; noisy. We should have requested a room change, but was late and decided just to rough it. Reported it to staff on check-out. They just recommended we let them know not to book a room next to elevator next time. Only reason for down rating this time.
Of all the Best Westerns that I have stayed in this one has, by far, the best breakfast of them all. Coffee was very good and the eggs were cooked just right. The potatoes were very good too. The pool and Jacuzzi area was clean and well taken care of. Centrally located and easy to get to restaurants and downtown.
Our hotel room was a suite with an in-room hot-tub, and it was very romantic and enjoyable. The bed was so comfortable that I enjoyed sleeping in late. The breakfast was fantastic and top of the line for continental. Great staff, beautiful lobby and room, and exquisite touches of decor and quality everywhere! I'd happily stay here again!
Internet connection was so bad that it dropped after each single transaction I did on my iPad ad I had to repeatedly go into my settings and reconnect. Luckily I did not have a lot of transactions to do and I was only staying one night. This would be a disaster for a business traveler. In addition, the heating and cooling system was not intuitive and either super complex or wasn't working. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and breakfast was great.
Had contact with only the curt (perhaps angry) check in woman. Asked for a receipt and was told with an unpleasant tone I paid on line and that was the only receipt i'd get. Not at all pleasant. Building was under construction, dark and uninviting. Won't stay there again.
We had children running in hallway, and slamming doors from before 9PM until 1 AM. Spoke to children twice and front deck once . No help. Spoke to desk clerk in morning and manager was to call me. I am still waiting for that call.
This Best Western was a great deal and in a location with many restaurants close by. The room had a very Santa Fe flavor and was clean and modern. Other than being next to a pawn shop on a busy street, It was my kind of hotel!
We arrived a day before a major storm front moved through Santa Fe, so from our 3rd floor room we watched the weather and wind bring in very dark clouds, snow, sleet and rain. We were very comfortable staying inside as the hotel has a nice breakfast room and lobby with comfortable chairs. We also had a loveseat in our room that was very nice. We extended our stay by another day and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. It's a couple miles from the town center, but we found the drive really easy.
We stayed at a this hotel while visiting family. The pool area was very nice. The rooms were comfortable. They offered all the amenities. The bathroom was very clean. They offered free breakfast, The only negative is the eating area is a little small. They offer more room to eat in the pool area. The location is great. We could drive down the road and find restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The staff was also very friendly.
This hotel is decorated very well in a southwest style. It is, however, beginning to show some wear so I hope the owners will make necessary repairs to keep it in top shape. The breakfast was outstanding for a motel breakfast -- lots of choices and selection -- something for everyone's taste in the morning. Much appreciated!
Stayed 2 nights this week for a "Thanksgiving" trip to Santa Fe. Have stayed at this location numerous times and have posted reviews in the past. Front desk staff is still great. We stayed in a King "suite" with a microwave, frig, bar area, sitting area with a loveseat, chair and separate t.v. Room had a balcony. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean.and modern. Bathroom was very small (but that tends to be typical of some of BW locations). The only "con" we ran into this time, was the low shower pressure and temperature of the water tended to fluctuate a lot (warm, then cold, then way too hot without having been adjusted). I thought my husband was going to make them aware of this when he turned the key in, but he forgot to. This location is on one of the main roads and although you have to drive to the Plaza, it is not that far. Free breakfast is adequate. Still recommend this hotel and we will continue to stay here when returning to Santa Fe.
You can always spend more, but for those looking primarily at a clean inexpensive room, this works. Location not too great but with a car, no problem getting anywhere. The police seemed to be all over Cerrillos Road, giving out tickets to holiday travelers, be ware.
We'd stay here again in a minute. We were on the third floor and it was pretty quiet. The room was well appointed and very tastefully decorated in Santa Fe style. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept better than we had for weeks! The room was so spacious and comfortable. The breakfast had the usual cold items, but also had scrambled eggs, salsa, sausage and very good potatoes. The wi-fi came and went but tech support by phone was very helpful.
Decided to stay here, thus saving over $300 compared to a place downtown, and glad we did. Very clean, with helpful staff. Only problem was the wi-fi, which kept going out, but they immediately took care of it and even put us in contact with their hospitality number to make sure it worked. Took a few tries before it was reliable, but here's the catcher: this was all done on Thanksgiving night. THAT is service. Beds and rooms were very comfortable, and the pool area was quite nice as well. Complementary breakfast also very good. Would gladly stay here again.
We were vacationing in New Mexico and spent several nights in this Best Western Plus. It was very nice, great service and good breakfast. We used this location as our anchor while in the area, very convenient.
I was very pleased with the Hotel and the Staff. I look forward to visiting this property the next time I go to Santa Fe! We went to visit our Son at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design and to attend a play at the University and had a very comfortable stay.
Hotel was excellent all the way. Staff was friendly and caring. Room was very nice, very clean, pillows/beds were very comfortable. Wifi was fast!!! GREAT HOT BREAKFAST with lots of selections. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit.
easy access to the city center and travel points North and South. The hotel was clean comfortable and well organized. The breakfast was varied throughout the four nights we were in town and the food area well kept.
We had a rough travel day, got to the hotel and was very impressed with the decor. The people were sooo friendly and helpful. It was very comfortable in the room, felt homey. The breakfast was great, we rely on the breakfast as we are gone all day and only snack while on the road. Never disappointed with the start to our day! We plan on going back to santa fe and we will definitely stay here!
Stayed two nights bit noisy but enjoyed the breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Bed very comfy shame was noisy at night as would of been perfect. Quite a distance from the historic city 4/5 miles away though could of caught number 2 bus only a dollar. Free shuttles around the city handy,
Located on South side of town. Good selection of nearby restaurants & movie theater. Staff at front desk was friendly and courteous. Room was average, bed was comfortable. Only dissatisfaction was with hot tub that jets would not kick in and limited space for breakfast - had to sit in pool area or outside patio.
We first had a king room which included a sink in the bedroom (!) and upgraded to a suite. The suite was good, but the bathtub squeaked while taking a shower. Also, the internet didn't work for one night.
Very comfortable hotel with great hot breakfast.Liked the Southwest decor. Wonderful warm pool and very comfortable beds. Some rooms get traffic noise-ask to stay back from road. We stayed in a family suite with 3 real beds (2 bedrooms) that was near the road. Nice to have a refrigerator in the room. Close to good restaurants(The Ranch) and Walgreen's.
Beautiful, spacious, clean room. Even more important since we came from two days at a poorly kept hotel. It was not clear on the website exactly where the hotel was. It is a bit off the highway and we did pass many other hotels before we arrived. It would be good to advertise where it is since you have to drive there a few miles.
Booked in as normal and given the Wi-Fi password. Got to the room and no Wi-Fi. Phoned reception and it hasn't been working for 2 days. Went down and had a word with the girl as she should have told us that the wi-fi wasn't on. Rely on this to contact family and book ahead, so we checked out and into another hotel. Very Dissapointing.
Great looking hotel in the local New Mexico/Santa Fe adobe style - very harmonious with its location. However, good vibes on arrival shattered by two frosty reception female staff who ignored us despite the fact we said we were checking in! A 3rd woman eventually dealt with us and even moved us up to the top floor when we requested it. Next morning on way to breakfast receptionist (male) ignored us - no hello, good morning or a smile. I blame the management!! Busy & cramped breakfast area - too much stuff in the corners made it awkward for guests to help themselves. For such a large hotel the eating area is WAY too small. Lots of people ended up sitting around the indoor pool area (with a lovely smell of chlorine to aid digestion) or outside. So glad when we moved on from here!
Spent a couple nights here on our trip to New Mexico. The hotel is well located and easy to find, and checkin was quick and simple. Our room (single king bed on 3rd floor) was ok, but not much above average. While it was clean, the mattress had been slept on a few too many times and there were little maintenance issues that needed to be addressed (like a shower curtain rod almost falling off the wall). The breakfast was on par with our expectations based on other similar hotels, but the space is small and will be crowded when the hotel is busier. Things were pretty quiet during our late-october visit. Overall, nothing special but adequate and with room for improvement.
Travelling without much of a plan from Albuquerque into Northern New Mexico, we booked into this hotel. The first impressions are not great as you approach on a busy roadway which could be 'Anywhere USA' with all the typical fast food places and chain stores found all over the country. Things looked worse as we entered their parking lot in a driveway shared with a Pawn Shop. However, once inside the hotel is wonderful. The lobby is decorated in southwestern style and the desk clerk (Megan) could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The SW decor carried into the room, which was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The free Breakfast buffet was good - typical of a Best Western. The breakfast area is not very large, but there is additional seating in the adjacent indoor pool area. Since we arrived late in the day, we decided to stay a second night. The hotel is about three miles from downtown, so you must drive to get anywhere. The location and setting are the only negatives However, it is a convenient staging spot for exploring the area. The hotel is kid and pet friendly, although I did not detect the odor of either in our room ! Would stay again if ever in the area, and recommend it to those who do not want to pay the higher prices for a downtown Santa Fe hotel.
We stay at this hotel on our trips to SantaFe about two to three times a year. The access to many parts of the city are easy to get to. The area is well kept and secure. The ability to come and go is a plus as alternate routes to the highways, main streets and Historical sites make it easy to get from many parts of Santa Fe with the help of the Hotel staff giving the you better routes to follow.
I slept very well here. Bonuses are a refrigerator in the room, & indoor pool for my daughter & her friend. Breakfast wasn't bad, it was nice there were fresh unsweetened blueberries offered for cereal toppings.
Check in was fast and easy, hotel staff wasn't over friendly, room was very nice but the lighting was bad, small bathroom. hot tub jets were not working proper (not at all) PH was not right in the hot tub which gave me a bad rash, breakfast was nothing special and was very crowded so much so that a lot of people had to carry there food and eat in the pool area next to the breakfast room. Nice hotel but nothing really special. More than likely we would try another hotel next time. I did mention the hot tub problem to the manager when we were checking out and he said "we will look into it". Didn't seem to be a real concern.
The hotel was clean, appealing, well located to the downtown. The room was clean, spacious, and the king bed was comfortable. The staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again.
This hotel was a little pricy for us, but we could not find anything wrong. It was clean, mattress great, neat and everything worked. Staff was friendly. Hot and cold breakfast was great. Later checkout and we so enjoyed the stay. If you can afford the higher price, stay in this hotel.
This is a very clean, well maintained mid-range hotel on a main drive in Santa Fe, NM. Easy access to all points in Santa Fe, with plenty of parking. Includes large indoor pool & hot tub, with outside tables and lounging. Breakfast is included and not just the normal continental fare, and quite tasty. Rooms are large, though not the best lit and I would suggest bringing a multi-outlet power strip or 3-way plug as there are not many open outlets. Very good amenities for the price.
We chose the Best Western Plus Inn of Santa Fe because we like Best Westerns, and we were not disappointed! Our room was very clean, and we used the laundry room which was also clean and well maintained. Our son, 13, was happy with the pool too. While there was not many places within walking distance of this hotel, everything you might want or need is within driving distance as there is a mall/ shopping center nearby. The beds were also quite comfortable and the staff was helpful. I really really hate continental breakfasts at hotels because I feel the other guests get physically pushy, so I tried to avoid the breakfast room at this hotel after a bad experience at the Best Western in ABQ, which is why I cannot give you my opinion on the breakfast here. Luckily, there is a Starbucks nearby! I will book this hotel again the next time I go to Santa Fe!
The Hyatt Place Santa Fe was full this day so we ended up taking a triple room here for an overnight stay. Busy place, was obviously very popular with two types of clientele: leisure cross-country motorcyclists and dog owners. Neither was an issue for us, but beware if you rather skip. The Front Desk staff courteous. The room had two queens and a sofa sleeper. The sofa sleeper was very dated and worn. I used plenty blankets to try to diffuse the old couch smell. Not a lot of outlets for charging electronics nor easily accessible. Wi-Fi worked OK in the rooms. Toiletries and towels were the standard issue-- bathroom rather small. The breakfast was average; the breakfast staff looked overworked and in great despise for the work they were doing. Breakfast area rather small and, according to our personal experience, there is a good chance you will be sharing it with a number of dogs underneath tables while their owners partake. Parking was OK; there were about 10 motorcycles and a few spaces left for vehicles. The lobby area decoration was very nice; loved the Southwest ambience; cozy and colorful. This hotel was more expensive than the Hyatt Place down the road, which is much nicer. So, while not a terrible stay, I would checked 3-4 places before I would settle on this one.
This hotel was about 45 minutes from the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. Easy on/off to the interstate and close to Old Santa Fe for shopping and sightseeing. We were upgraded as requested and our room was spacious and clean. The hotel offers an indoor pool and hot tub which were clean. Staff was willing to call ahead to the next BW reservation to confirm and request an upgrade, which was granted in Gallup, NM.
We stayed 3 nights in the BW Plus of Santa Fe during this trip. It was one of the nicest BW hotels that we have stayed at during our travels. The staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful (especially Liza). Full breakfast included. Nice pet area (not fenced) for our dog to take care of his business located near our room. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, Southwest Decor in the room; pictures, pillows, bedding, towel racks with coyote cutouts in bathroom area, curtains, etc. were appropriate for the Santa Fe area. Yes, the location is on a main street (Cerrillos Road) with lots of businesses surrounding it, but it is also conveniently located near the freeway, restaurants and stores. Plus, if you want to see the "artsy" part of Santa Fe (museums, art galleries and sculptures), turn right out of the hotel parking lot and follow Cerrillos Road a few miles to downtown. Definitely a place to check out during your stay. As a previous reviewer indicated during their September stay, there is a lot of road construction going on in the area and it will slow you down somewhat. But, hey, you're on vacation so just go with the flow. PET OWNERS ~ Make sure that you request a pet friendly room AND ask about their pet policy before making your reservation. 50 pound weigh limit for dogs. We will definitely stay here again!
Best Western is not the hotel for me. A hotel with pets is not sanitary, the A/C does not work well, and the eating area is not satisfactory, too small and crowded, and the food is not appetizing. Hampton Inn is much, much nicer for approximately the same cost. I usually stay at Hampton Inn, and will try to do so again, once they re-open in Santa Fe.
BW Santa Fe had the most attractive guest rooms of the hotels we stayed in during our recent southwest road trip-southwest style bed throws, pillows, wall decor made us feel like we were in Santa Fe rather than the common though comfy decor one finds in mid priced chain hotels. And the AAA room rate was very fair. Front desk staff pleasant & professional, breakfast offerings standard & consistent BW. Only complaint the breakfast area was small for the size of the hotel. We ended up sitting in the pool area adjacent & noticed an outdoor patio area accessible from the pool as well. BW Santa Fe is located on the main road where many hotels, motels, restaurants, shopping plazas are located but is quiet, easy in & out to where you want to go. Beware, while we were there September, lots of road construction to slow you down.
This is a nice place to stay. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The location was great for getting to the plaza and Canyon Road. Plenty food locations near-by to select from. Shopping stores all around you.
We stayed here for a family wedding in mid September 2016 and we're very pleased with the hotel and it's amenities. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and gave us several good recommendations for restaurants in the area. They offer a breakfast and it's OK but not one of the best I've ever had at a hotel. Fortunately in Santa Fe there's lots of good places nearby to eat.
This tour company is the truly the best! The guides were knowledgeable and personable! We were first in line for Versailles! We had them almost our entire week in Paris. Thank you Philippe, Frederic, Sebastian and Noel ! Superlative!
We were visiting Santa Fe for pleasure. This hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, and did I say clean? The staff upgraded us because my husband is a Diamond member of the Best Western Rewards program. We did not ask to be upgraded, they just did. We were so amazed and happy! The suite was so nice after having traveled for two previous nights. It was very quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was good. We had plenty to eat before we headed to downtown Santa Fe for site seeing. We definitely would stay here again. All the staff was friendly and accommodating!!!
Nice place, clean property, attractive, great staff and front desk people. an exercise room and a pool, none of which I use, but which I appreciate. The room was attractive. I have only one gripe, but it's not insignificant. There are almost no usable electrical outlets. I'm in a downstairs king room. Maybe the suites upstairs are different, but this place doesn't even have as many outlets as a 70's style strip motel. For a digital traveler, this is a problem unless, as I do, you carry an extension cord. All they have to do is invest in some of those lamps that most hotels use these days - the ones with a couple of outlets built into the base. Seriously, I know I sound petty but, if you want to use your computer at the desk, plug in a phone by the bed, or re-charge some camera batteries anywhere but the bathroom, you will be out of luck.
We reserved a room for three nights. We didn't make it past the front desk because the curly hair with glasses was so rude and charged the wrong card. She didn't like that I spoke up about each so she refused to serve me. AND there wasn't a manager available. Ruined. My. Trip.
Large comfortable room with a large well lit bathroom. Plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient to the Canyon Road district, the Plaza district, and the Railroad district. Great price.
Room was very clean, comfortable beds and nice amenities A great value for price. Staff was very accommodating. Pool and gym area well kept. Breakfast was a nice surprise with more than just the normal waffle.
This a nicely remodeled property. A little difficult to find but worth it. The decor is cute and the amenities generous. Really like the Pantene hair products! Plus lots of pillows and a comfy bed. Seems that Best Western has finally upgraded its properties.
We booked a one week stay and were quoted a price for the complete stay. We found however that the rate breakdown showed a daily variance during our stay depending on the occupancy. On two days we were greated by Harley Davidson bikers. It was a little noisy in the morning, but we met some very nice bikers. The hotel carpets and decor were a little dated, but the room was clean and the maid did a daily cleanup. The beds were comfortable and this was very important. Other than the clock that did not work, everything was in working order. We liked the breakfast in the morning and the variety of food that they had to eat The hotel is not far from downtown Santa Fe and we found it convenient and easy to locate. We love dogs, but the hotel clerk said that they and their owners can be placed anywhere in the hotel if there was no vacancy on the first floor.
I enjoyed the stay at your hotel and this hotel was the only willing to work with the schools by accepting a Purchase Order. Everything was great and slept like a baby while I was there. The breakfast was amazing as well, it wasn't just ceral and milk. Thank you to all the staff.
The employees are very helpful and courteous. The room was excellent, very clean!!! close to the plaza and other site seeing hystorical places. The prices were better than other hotels in the area. The parking was very close to our room, we were able to see our car from our room.
We stayed here before and enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. Good rooms, great staff. Location close to Plaza in Santa Fe. Enjoyed using the swimming pool and fitness center. Overall a very good experience.
Great room ... Very spacious with sofa chair & 2 tv's... Room also had balcony which was nice... Bed & pillows very comfortable .. Breakfast was very good, hot and plenty to choose from! The traffic was a little noisy but otherwise great place !
The pros: a) the friendly and helpful staff b) the breakfast was one of the best I have had at this or similar hotels c) the indoor pool looked great (we didn't have time to use it) The cons: a) the hotel not only allows pets it actively encourages them (as they are free). b) the hotel cannot tell you which rooms have recently had pets in them (although they say that pets are mostly on floor one). c) the beds are soft and not over comfortable d) the first room I had smelled quite musty I stayed here for a single night. I prefer not to stay at pet-friendly hotels and certainly expect a hotel to restrict pets to certain rooms or at least be able to tell a guest that no pets had been in the room for a certain period. From early evening the couple in the next room were fighting loudly. After a couple of hours I called reception and asked for a room change, explaining the reason. The lady from reception immediately accommodated my move and quickly arrived in the corridor to check out the issue -I felt this was very good customer service. So overall an average rating due mainly to the pet situation.
Santa Fe is a fairly expensive place to visit. This Best Western offered a good value, nice rooms with very comfortable beds, typical included breakfas that was well-stocked and tidy. They allso had two PC's available 24-hours a day. There was no area to lounge or enjoy the outside but a very nice-appearing, indoor pool and spa althought we did not use it.
Stayed here for a few days while exploring Santa Fe and environs. Loved the Southwest details in decor. Used the pool and hot tub daily after our many hikes and treks. After leavin the hotel and arriving in Taos, I realized I had forgotten a bag filled with gifts somewhere in my room. The hotel had already left a voicemail telling me it was found and held it for me until I could return! How nice is that! Thank you!!!!
This place was easy to find for first time visitors to Santa Fe. The rooms were very comfortable and the decor was a notch above most hotels in this price range. There were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, too. Be sure to stop into the decor shop just across the street. Great prices and better selection than most stores of this type. Back to the hotel, it was welcoming, comfortable, and had the typical breakfast offerings. It was a good value.
This hotel was not anywhere worth the cost - $124 a night - it was located in a marginal area of town (although other hotels were in the area. $59 a night would have been acceptable price - food nearby was good, but you had to cross a very busy highway. internet never did work, and although there was a refrigerator in the room, they could not provide a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine - they gave me a screwdriver to open the wine
Our 3rd floor room reeked of cigarette smoke. Went down to the desk, and the response was, "We'll send housekeeping up." I asked if there was another room because no way would housekeeping be able to do anything about the smells that the upholstery had absorbed from whoever smoked in this non-smoking room. Unfortunately, the didn't have another room for us to move to. They sent housekeeping up with me, and they said they smelled smoke too, but all they could do was to give me a can of air freshener to mask the smell. It was gross. It stank. We opened the window and propped our door open to try to get fresh air in but it was useless. We had to stay there 2 days, and even our luggage smelled when we left. The fact that the room smelled so badly sort of overrules everything else, but in all fairness to the hotel, their pool was beautiful and well-maintained. I was impressed each a.m. at breakfast as I watched them swabbing the floors and washing the windows thoroughly. Breakfast was ok, but beware of their waffle irons which are aged, and despite spraying well with non-stick spray, the waffles still stick and make a horrible mess. One thing I noticed in their guest services book, was their procedures regarding what to do during a Tornado. This totally freaked my 11 year old out, but we told her that Santa Fe doesn't have tornadoes like they do in tornado alley. It may be something to research for those of you planning on staying there, who have kids who may be sensitive to that sort of thing.
The Santa Fe Plus on Carrillo Road was a really good experience. Rooms were clean and we didn't hear the neighbors (including those who lodged with their pets). The staff was friendly and helpful and there was a hearty breakfast each morning. We'd go back again the next time we're heading to Santa Fe.
This hotel is really nice, well priced and convenient to all the attractions in Santa Fe. We were upgrade to a suite with a lovely spacious balcony which is always a plus. We loved the adobe style and little touches such as the beautiful sink and gecko towel rails!! Would stay here again!
We were on a road trip through 3 states and stopped in Santa Fe about 1.5 weeks before their "Indian Market." The hotel is far enough away to be peaceful, and close enough to be convenient. It is a very well maintained facility and we had an enjoyable stay. The only inconvenience was some road construction and a lot of traffic going into town. The pool area was clean and breakfast was included, but a busy buffet.
I have stayed at this property for several years in a row. I have always had great interactions with their people, I've always enjoyed the breakfast, and the beds are good. On the few occasions I have made a suggestion in their survey, they have been very responsive. Santa Fe is a wonderful city to visit, and this is a nice place to stay while there.
On my most recent Diners, Drive-Ins's & Dives road trip I stayed at Best Western Plus in Santa Fe. Parking is not the best, and I would suggest that you park by the main doors when you check in so you can use the automatic door opener and then move your vehicle after your luggage is in your room. I am a member of the Best Western Reward Program so I have stayed a lot of Best Westerns in the past number of years. I have to admit, I found my room one of the larger rooms I have stayed at. I did not spend a lot of time in the room. I found it clean and the clean staff was really good. I am not a breakfast person so I cannnot comment on that. I found the location, though not central, is on one of the main drags that got me anywhere I wanted to go. Road construction was a bit of a pain but that is going to go away. My only disappointment was that it has an indoor pool. Being from Canada, our summer is too short and a outdoor pool is something we look forward to.
Front desk staff was very nice. Rooms are dark. Was extremely disappointed to see that there was no desk in the room with the ability to hook up my laptop and do work while there. I stay in many Best Western Plus' and they all have had desk and working lamp with plug in. Along with lamps that have plug ins by the beds. No here. I didn't consider it a real safe area and was disappointed when we arrived that it was not off the interstate. All other Best Western's have had a nice arm chair or something comfortable to sit in. for the size room we had it only had 2 straight back chairs for the table.
For the traveler passing through a small town, this is a very good place to spend the night. My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 20 years. We know what we are going to get and it has not disappointed us a single time. Consistency is important to the tired traveler.
This property is clean and safe but I upgraded to a suite and was very disappointed. The 2 room suite had 2 TV's but one of them had terrible picture quality. There wan't air conditioning in one of the rooms (although a fan was provided). The bathtub was very squeaky when showering and the shower surrounds were very cheap. The door barely cleared the toilet bowl and the faucet was too far away from the sink, so water splashed outside of the sink. There was only one alarm clock in one of the rooms and the "view" from the suite veranda was a pawn shop, a road and a Motel 6. The room keys were de-programmed early in the morning of check out, so had to get them re-programmed in order to get back in the room. On a positive note, the room had coffee maker, microwave, small fridge and very comfortable beds. The complimentary breakfast was very good and served from 6AM to 10AM. Otherwise, I will stay elsewhere on future visits.
We stayed for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we booked late & Spanish Market was beginning. So most of Santa Fe was booked and the places we usually stay closer to downtown were 3 times their normal prices. This hotel is about 6 miles from the plaza and most everything. The hotel is older and is beginning to show it. The room size was adequate, but the bathroom was on the small side - think from the 1960's. Very little space to put even your hair brush & toothbrush. I do not travel with a lot of "girlie' stuff and there was barely enough room for the basic stuff for two people. The bed was comfortable and we did sleep well on it. Room did seem clean. As with most hotel rooms, the lighting was not adequate for reading at night. The breakfast is served from 7 - 10 am. The first morning, we arrived at 9:40. There were no eggs, no coffee. no sugar, no butter. There were more people coming down & they were not getting breakfast either. And there was no attendant to notify of these lapses. I finally found someone in the hall and she said "Nobody told me". I'm sorry, but isn't it their job to be on top of this? I finally took Decaf coffee when she brought me 3 packs of sugar (but did not put any out on the counter). Never did get the butter for my bagel. Next morning - arrived around 8:15. Still no sugar. Spoke to the manager at the front desk who said that it had not "come in on the truck". Sugar? Really? Third morning - went somewhere else.
I was disappointed to see this was located right next to the pawn shop. Decor in the room was dark and rather depressing with the poorly lit space. Staff at the front desk was super friendly and provided great recommendations for local places to eat which u really appreciated. In spite of the friendly staff, I'd look for another place to stay next time I'm in Santa Fe.
I have stayed at this property once a year for the past 3 years. A group of friends and I go down to Santa Fe each summer to go to the Opera and to do touristy things in Santa Fe. I really like staying here because the breakfast is well stocked with lots of options, the beds are really comfortable, and the people are all exceptionally nice. I would say this is an older property that has been well kept, and lovingly managed.
Cerrillos Rd is a main street leading to the historic area and it is crowded with fast food joints, bargain motels, car dealerships, and assorted shops. This hotel is not located in a resort area and it is not walking distance to any attraction. Nonetheless, it is a really nice hotel. The rooms are clean, the amenities are plenty, and it is highly recommended, especially at this price point (under $150/night). I don't really plan on visiting Santa Fe again but if I were to, I'd book my stay here.
Overall we had a good stay. The breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Only issue was a window that leaked and it ran down the AC unit and wall. Perhaps that is why the room smelled moldy.
Our dogs stay free. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast is above average for motel breakfast bars. It's in a good location with amenities nearby. A short drive to the plaza. We come here with friends every year for the opera, and think this is a great, quiet place to stay. The dogs recognize it and relax in stress-free comfort. We love this place.
If you don't care about being in walking distance of the Plaza, this hotel has everything you need and is a better value than the rates downtown. Decor is attractive, rooms clean, has an indoor pool, and has a good breakfast.
Very good location off the interstate and lots of restaurants and retail in the area. Close to the Meow Wolf museum which we enjoyed, less than 10 minutes from the plaza. Staff was friendly and gave us a good recommendation on some local Mexican food.
I love this pet friendly hotel. The fact that they don't charge for pets is a bonus! It is clean and always a pleasure to stay at. I come here every May and July on my way to and from Michigan. The service is top notch, the grounds and rooms are clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly. I love that there are other pets around too!
The hotel was beautiful and clean, the breakfast was delicious, but the only downfall was the fact that it was a bit pricey. If you don't check in early, use the pool, get up early, and eat breakfast, paying that much for a hotel is kind of pointless. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but they put us in a room right next to the back entrance, so I was awakened all night hearing people come in and go out to smoke...
Best Western Plus Inn is located a short drive from the Plaza and other historic Santa Fe landmarks. However, what the hotel is lacking in location, it makes up for in service, comfort and value. The rooms are nice, with a Southwest feel. There is plenty of room if traveling with kids and pets, or for a girls' weekend. Breakfast is a standard buffet with some hot options - powdered scrambled eggs, waffle iron, etc. They had water, lemonade and coffee available in the lobby all day. Although it is a pet-friendly hotel, it didn't have that pet0friendly smell or look - you wouldn't have known pets were allowed there if not for the guests walking their pets in a grassy are in back! The pool was large for an indoor pool, and they had a nice patio area for seating if you wanted to enjoy the evenings. We will absolutely visit this hotel again, with or without the puppy!
We spent 2 nights at the Best Western in Santa Fe and picked it because of its value-for-money promise along with a combination of other nice amenities such as Wifi, pool, free breakfast and parking. It´s a 10 min max drive to old town Santa Fe where parking is no issue and rather cheap. we parked twice directly in front of the church which was excellent for walking through town. we had a room with 2 queen beds which were nice. Room and bathroom are tops in order, no comments required. The furniture was ok, the room was spacious enough for 4 and 2 large suitcases and a couple of smaller day-packs. We did like the wall deco in a light brown brushing technique, picking up the pueblo style nicely. The breakfast was absolutely ok, all the usual suspects in a separate seating area that can get crowded at peak times. We asked for bagels to be refilled which was done immediately. The kids enjoyed the pool, which is not to big but very nice. We went downtown for dinner (Chez Mamou-very nice) but there are several diners around as well. The hotel in itself is worth the rates they charge but even more so compared to some of the downtown hotels which offer only relatively little extra quality compared to the double or triple pricing (and I am not talking of historic luxury hotels right downtown which are a class higher and in center of town). We can only recommend this hotel.
Good location, clean and good service. However, during our stay, we smelled something awful in the room. Could not figured out the smell. Until we decided to move the TV stand. There, behind the credenca was a dirty diaper. I told the manager and our way out. Just a small thing. Next time, I will do a walk thru.
The room was clean, breakfast was also good and what we really found convenient was the bus stop close to the hotel to go the Santa Fe's city centre. Parking might have been easy but not that particulat day cause there was an oldtimer show so all parking spaces were reserved for the oldmobiles. Staff was friendly as well!
Fantastic service ~ close to everything ~ room spacious and extremely clean. Excellent breakfast as well! The staff was fantastic ~ very helpful! Highly recommended! We used this hotel for a home base and made several day trips exploring the beauty of Northern New Mexico!
This hotel provided excellent service and breakfast. Rooms very clean. Locations was near shopping mall, fast food restaurants, and gas stations. Location of this hotel several miles near the historic center of Santa Fe.
Stayed 5 nights at this hotel. We had an upgraded king which was very nice. No complaints about the hotel. Extremely clean, beds comfortable, location excellent. Breakfast was the standard BW fare and okay. Hotel was full every night we were there. Only complaint is with the front desk staff at check-in. One actually admonished me for booking our stay through an on-line site (which I always do). In fact she was rude. In all our nights there, no one ever acknowledged us leaving or returning. The staff at check-out were very nice as well as the housekeeping staff.
The pictures that you see on trip advisor are basically for the upstairs suites. If you choose to get 2 beds you will be put in the downstairs. Also, the only rooms that are handicapped accessible have 1 king bed and a pull out sofa. This does not work for our family. Also, the only handicapped parking is at the back of the hotel. You have to go around upon check in if you wish to get a wheelchair up to the front desk. This is very difficult to load and unload then load up again. The hotel is musty smelling but clean. The staff was very helpful when my son became ill during the stay. The breakfast was average. I will reconsider before making a reservation here again due to the lack of handicapped accessibility.
Well priced and convenient hotel for our 3 day visit to Santa Fe. Breakfast was a major plus for us. Was our 2nd visit to this hotel within 6 month period and the quality was consistent. Would recommend this hotel.
If I had seen some of the the less savory reviews of this hotel before making my reservation I probably would have reconsidered. Nevertheless, I had a perfectly fine experience: the staff was alright, the room was clean and comfortable, good wifi, only minimal noise and I got a good sleep, breakfast was decent, and, to my surprise, there was a pool (which I did not use). I came here to sleep, shower, and eat and I was satisfied with this hotel for those goals.
As with the majority of Best Westerns we stay at, we were happy with everything at this hotel. This was another one night stay for us, one of about 10 in a two week period. The room was great, comfy, clean. We would stay here again if we are in the area again. Grounds were well kept as well. This is , for me, a personal thing; I hate those coffee makers that all hotels have!
The room is nicely decorated. It had a refrigerator. The shower was good. The linens were good. The pool was very cloudy with a greenish overcast. The water was not warm. If you have kids, you can not relax in the jacuzzi while you watch them swim because the jacuzzi is in a dropped down private area from the pool. That was a major let down, especially because the pool was not warm. On top of that, the jacuzzi was heated, but the jets weren't working. We most likely will not be booking the BW again in the future. They do have a complimentary breakfast served in the a.m.
friendly staff, good breakfast, pool okay, very nice to our schnauzer! Very comfortable and pretty lobby and room decorated Santa Fe style. Good value for the money. very easy to find downtown Santa Fe and close to many other attractions in the area.
This hotel is decorated in Santa Fe style. Loved it. Beds were very comfortable and the little seating area with a couch was really a nice touch. The front desk staff was extremely helpful on where to eat. Had a nice indoor pool and hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was a cut above your average ones.
We like this hotel and have stayed at it It is a good value for the money. The decor in the lobby/reception area is so pretty and homey. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is standard, but nice. The breakfast room is small when full and the overflow people have to eat by the pool, which is kind of awkward.
In a nutshell: Pros- Complimentary breakfast Good price (if you have a discount) Friendly staff Nice bed Cons- Older exterior look (not a big deal) Rooms are in need of repair: - Tattered carpet - AC didn't work well - TV remote didn't work (was replaced) - Bathroom wasn't cleaned well - Some light bulbs burned out in room Complimentary breakfast: - Spoiled milk at breakfast (2- small cartons) - Quality of some breakfast items not very good - Ran out of breakfast items well before closing (10AM) This BW isn't horrible, but it shouldn't be a PLUS. I like BW, but this spot needs a little TLC. Hope this helps.
Tried this Best Western Plus after reading TA reviews. Was disappointed for a number of reasons. i usually prefer Contemporary, but since we were staying in Santa Fe, from the pictures, it looked like local decor. However, it seemed to us, very dark, and basic. I have no idea why it is a PLUS Best Western. The hotel seemed old to me and not fresh. Bed was comfortable. Biggest problem was that they allowed pets in hotel. We heard a dog barking on first day, intermittently but on the day we were checking out, a dog barked nonstop for 4 hours, until we checked out. I complained several times to front desk clerk but she appeared to do nothing, until I complained a third time and insisted she call owner on his cell phone. Owner told me they had a "pet policy" but the policy is worthless if they don't enforce the rules. They called the room after I spoke to owner, but folks had left room i guess for day, and hotel did not have their cell phone. Clerk told me they had 10 pets in hotel that day. They also did not have pet only rooms. We love dogs, but don't enjoy staying in a hotel that penalizes folks without dogs. We were not happy. We will never stay here again. We feel we made a mistake staying at his particular pet friendly hotel, as such. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY HERE. Feel I am being very generous giving them a 3 rating for above reasons.
My group and I enjoyed the comfort of our stay at this hotel. The staff was very accommodating, courteous, friendly.Everybody liked the ambiance of the hotel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. Keep up the good work.
Comfortable, clean, and convenient. I had family staying in the RV park nearby, so we were only a short walk from each other. My room was on the ground floor, but was quiet and very comfortable. The hotel was clean. Staff was gracious. Breakfast offered a variety of choices.
We stayed in the 3 bed suite and it was great. We did a girls trip and it was nice to have our own bed. The staff were very helpful with directions each morning and also with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was well organized and offered a variety each morning. It was nice to have a pool and hot tub after a long day. Location was great. It was only about 4 miles from the plaza.
We have stayed here on several occasions and this time most everything has improved. The rooms were pleasant, the bath much improved and the rooms seem larger maybe it is the decor. Breakfast room very busy @ 7:00 am but seating seemed better. I would say this room is worthy of another visit!
I had a suite with a balcony. The hotel was very clean, beds comfortable. My room had beautiful decor and offered a nice separation for my son & I. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of fresh hot items. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if ever in Santa Fe. Best hotel I stayed in during my 8 nights in New Mexico. Also very close to the down town Historic District and the Interstate if wanting to explore the surrounding area.
Stayed here 3 nights in March 2016 using rewards points. Location was perfect for people I needed to visit. Located on main road, convenient from freeway. Many restaurants and shopping areas nearby. Room size was adequate and clean. Has a pool and Jacuzzi but I did not use due to busy schedule. Breakfast area is small and crowded. All in all a decent stay.
The staff here were very friendly and helpful and room was great! It had a little kitchen and a cowhide style shower curtain. The furniture in the lobby was outstanding and I wish I could take it home. We'll stay here again! And next time we'll be sure to have our swim suits for the nice pool and hot tub.
Clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are good and comfortable. The hotel's personnel are high skilled and helpful. The hotel's location is peaceful but a bit far from the center. The breakfast in the hotel is just normal American style, so for people from Europe it would be bit poor.
This a very clean and well operated Best Western. The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel in general is clean and well maintained. Highly reccommend it to anyone staying in the Santa FE area. It is also very centerally located.
The hotel was great. Nice room. I loved the shower head! I didn't use, but the pool area is great. I just sat at the pool area, very inviting though! I slept very well, the beds weren't hard and not to soft, just right. If in the area, we'll stay there again!
The staff at this hotel were the best. They made every effort to help make our stay wonderful. We made reservations months in advance and they remembered us when we check in. Throughout our stay they were extremely helpful in very manner. Recommending dinning locations, providing extra amenities and just very friendly. The rooms were clean and modern. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the pool every afternoon. We had a large group with numerous vehicles and parking was never an issue. We would highly recommend to anyone planning to stay in the Santa Fe area to visit this fine hotel.
All the staff with whom we interacted were helpful and friendly. The room was very large, well decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was nice, the grounds clean and we loved the balcony. Will stay again.
Great host for dog friendly hotel. We always stay here when going to Santa Fe. Great location to most everything downtown, an not downtown. The staff is awesome, an accommodating. We will stay here again, an again. .
The reception staff went out of their way to assist with all our queries. Very clean, not far to walk to some restaurants. Aircon worked which was great. Great place to stay, not far to drive to plaza. Great indoor pool, breakfast included. Parking right outside
Great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The desk staff was extremely helpful. The room are decorated in the Santa Fe look. The beds are comfable with big pillows. It included breakfast. The price was also affodable especially booking with TripAdvisor.
I stayed two nights, the beds in our room were very comfortable. The room was clean, had a fridge and even everything we needed. The clothes dryer was not working in the laundry, however the staff took our friends washing and dried it which was appreciated.
More expensive than most Best Westerns. The room was clean and well-appointed. The AC fan rattled all night in the King upgrade. Breakfast room crowded and east windows had no blinds to keep the glaring NM sun out. If you like Southwestern charm- this is the place for you.
I thought this hotel was great and it wasn't too expensive. They allow dogs of all sizes, which we had 2 of, offered free wifi, free breakfast, and everything was clean and nice. They have a pool and exercise area that looked nice as well although I didn't use them.
We enjoyed our stay in Santa Fe and will definitely return for another visit later this year. The Best Western Plus of Santa Fe was a great place to stay. The staff was especially helpful and cordial.
Near but not in downtown Santa Fe. A well kept secret easily accessible from interstate. Good spacious rooms with southwest flavor. Breakfast area is well done, recently upgraded. Hits the spot. Try it and see.
The sink in the room was so beautiful. Had a great stay, the room was nice and we were very comfortable. We stayed on our way to Arizona and then again on our way back. We always stay at Best Westerns and this one was a step above
We've stayed at Best Western Motels in the past and have had terrible experiences. They have made some improvements. However, we stayed in a Best Western in Roswell,NM that didn't have an elevator. Won't make that mistake again. It was a real hassle to try and lift suitcases up two flights of stairs.
Very nice décor. Great location. Wonderful staff. Everything was just perfect. Will come back to stay there again and again. The staff was friendly and very helpful in every way. Our room was very quiet.
highly recommend to family or friends, will return on personal visits as well as business related. shopping close by and friendly at check in and check out. Stayed on 3rd floor and it was nice and very quite
Beautifully decorated room. Very well appointed. Very clean and would have loved to stay. Wish we could have extended our stay. The breakfast selections were very good. The staff excellent too. Next time we will plan to stay longer.
Excellent Hotel, check in was fast and efficient, staff is wonderful, located in a nice part of town. Very friendly staff, room was clean and spacious, excellent part of town. Really enjoyed our stat in Santa Fe at the Best Western Hotel. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
This is a very Pet friendly place There is a Small area for dogs, but not very clean. Room was small yet very clean and adequate. Breakfast good and welcoming each morning. The staff very helpful. Laundry and fitness room accessible.
We were here for two days in May 2016. The Hotel was decorated in Santa Fe furnishings and accessories. Very clean environment and friendly helpful staff. We had a dog with us and the room was fresh and clean. The breakfast that was complimentary, was hot and good. If we are ever in the area again with our dog, we will be back.
Our tour bus broke down, which meant our exhausted group didn't arrive until after 11:00 p.m. We were welcomed, directed swiftly to clean, well-appointed rooms with the best beds ever. Great linens and thick towels. Breakfast was ample and the coffee good. This is off of Cerillos Road, but you aren't in downtown Santa Fe. However, it didn't take much to get to the plaza the next morning. I'd stay here again.
Not all king suites have a balcony. I called the front desk before I booked a room they said that only the king suites or family rooms had a balcony. I specifically booked a room because I was under the impression there was a balcony. There was not. There were no other balcony rooms available so I got a tacky pseudo southwestern Santa Fe style king suite for the exact same price. The front desk person couldn't find my reservation I booked through this site. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
Very accommodating to my little dog. They greeted him like a person. The beds are wonderful with nice linens. Excellent service and great price. Best deal in Santa Fe. Staff went out of there way to make sure we were happy. I will stay there next time.
This BW is between a Pawnshop & Manny's Auto Sales on Cerrillos Rd - an ugly commercial area about 4.5 miles from downtown Santa Fe. The hotel is clean but very old and the air conditioning unit sounded loud and sometimes LOUDER so that we did not sleep well, until we finally opened a window. The rooms are dark and the decor is very brown. We stayed here because of good reviews but would not recommend it.
I expect clean, comfortable, and professional. This place did a good job of meeting my expectations. We have been here before & will be back again. My family all enjoyed the clean, quiet rooms. the breakfast was above average. the fitness room was a great way to start the day.
We were spending one night in Santa Fe and choose to stay at the Best Western. We found it for a great price compared to the other hotels in the area. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The lady at the front desk even recommended us a nice local restaurant that was just down the street. Which turned out to be very good! Also in the morning they have a decent spread for a free breakfast buffet. I was happy with our hotel room. In was a decent size and was clean. The pillows were a little weird. They weren't shaped like regular pillows they were little squares. I would of preferred regular size pillows on the bed. Other than that I have nothing bad to say about the room. The location is not bad. It is a little outside where the downtown Santa Fe area is. It is a very short drive tho. If we are ever in the area again I would stay here again.
My #1 priority when paying for a hotel is "can I get a solid night's kip here", and the answer for this place is "no chance", hence my low rating. It's a shame because it's otherwise a nice place, beds, bathrooms, public areas all very pleasant. But as a few others have said, my god this place is constructed from cardboard. Or something that transmits noise better than cardboard - tin trays perhaps. Been here 2 nights now, asked for a quiet room because I sleep lightly. We're on the top floor at the end of a corridor, but even that won't help you when someone closing a door 3 rooms down sounds like it's next to your head! So far the latest we've managed to stay asleep has been 5.30am. So, if you're at all sensitive to noise, skip this one!
Front desk staff very friendly and helpful but the good stops there. Older property that needs the bathroom updated badly...Shutters on window don't keep out the huge spot light trained on the building and into your room all night along with the absolutely annoying HVAC wall units...Why hotels use those darn things is beyond be. They are very noisy, inefficient and just don't work right. First room, the unit sounded like it was a rattle trip. Changed rooms but as the evening wore on, louder and louder. Shower was terrible. Breakfast? Those hockey puck microwave "omelets" they call em and undercooked sausage. Tiny room for breakfast. Renovate, renovate, renovate.
What a wonderful experience at this Best Western. Enough points to stay free and we had a great room with a jaccuze, fridge, coffee pot and microwave. A wonderful couch that was clean and fresh. The room was huge and decorated to the tee. The front desk help was wonderful; and directed us to a great eating place. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and I can only say. STAY THERE IT IS THE BEST.
The front desk person, Megan, was friendly and very helpful. She made excellent suggestions for local food and attractions. She also pointed out AAA discounts. The homemade biscuits were delicious too. Now the not so good. The room AC turned off in the night so we woke up at 3 sweating. We turned it back on but it looks like it is on a timer. The bathroom is on the small side as well, and the lighting is very dim, even with all 3 lights on, it was still too dark.
Stayed overnight on our way across country. Our room was huge with a very nice southwest decor. In room jacuzzi tub was really big but strangely shallow. The front desk staff were super friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay again!
Last minute check-in because we had to leave the Comfort Inn (NOT THE INN AND SUITES) due to some smell and other issues and do not recommend staying there. Very pleasant staff, clean comfortable beds. Morning breakfast was the usual ones you get. Very clean eating area, though. I have nothing negative to say about Best Western Plus hotels in general.
Last year we chose to stay at this Best Western PLUS in Santa Fe, NM enroute from AZ to Canada. We were very impressed with the ambiance, value, location, front desk staff & amenities (full breakfast is lovely!) As a result, we returned last week & will reinforce what a wonderful property this is!
The hotel itself is nice. The room is clean, comfortable bed and well appointed. The construction of the building itself is horrible. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING! I can overlook a lot but this was terrible. You can hear people in the halls, in the next room, doors slamming etc etc.
I frequently travel because of business, and sometimes have no time for a good lunch. The Best Western breakfasts are extremely helpful to stay active for entire business day. WiFi was fast and stable in the room. The room was cleaned each day. Overall, it is a very comfortable place with great breakfast and nice location to reach Santa Fe downtown (about 10 min driving) and Interstate 25 (about 10 min driving). I did really enjoy staying there.
Clean, quiet. I've stayed 3 nights 4/1-4/4. The breakfasts are good - what I expected - Scrambled Egg & sausage, Cheese Omelet and thin sliced ham, homefries (real), french toast. varies slightly. make your own waffles. Coffee/Juices/Milk. Store bought pasties. I enjoyed the pool & hottub, going before the kids finished their supper,. The only "off" thing was a light bulb in a swag lamp. I really liked the walk in, tiled shower with a bench, with it's suit hook to drying. The iced tea in the lobby, with share a book is very nice. If I'm here with family next time, I'd come here. Yes, It's not downtown. $10 to park behind the cathedral. Higher prices for everything - this works well. Close to walmart for extrras, like a quart of fresh strawberries. Good one!
We just enjoyed a wonderful few days at the Best Western Santa Fe. The room we had was on the third floor and we never heard a sole. It has a fantastic complimentary breakfast buffet, (eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, cereal, potatoes and more) a nice pool and hot tub area. We had brought our bikes with us and the front desk was kind enough to allow us to store our bikes in the front office rather than leaving them on our car in the parking lot. It's about a 5-7 minute drive from downtown.
The Best Western PLUS Inn of Santa Fe was comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast was fine--good potatoes and sausages though the eggs seemed like made from some package. Our room was well-decorated. Lighting could have been better. All and all we felt good about the motel.
Overall a great place and great staff. Very clean and lots of amenities! The only problem I had was the noise level. Although this was not the hotel's fault, seems the walls and floors are paper-thin. You can hear every little noise that everyone is making.
My poor rating is based on accessibility not the staff or the room. All handicap parking is on the backside of the motel and the entrance is by a key card as the door is locked. Why would you have self opening doors in the front and handicap parking on the other side of the building, I guess the owners have never used a wheel chair or a scooter or even asked anybody about accessibility! I hope this problem can be corrected so even a handicap person can come and go as easy as anyone else! Thank you Don Peterson Minnesota
Loved the location was central to everything. The mall and shopping were just minutes away. The plaza was just minutes away and the staff were friendly. The laundry rooms dryer could use a tune up but besides that the hotel room were well decorated very southwest and clean!!
this hotel has excellent service. it is conveniently located near restaurants and I-10. I will stay here again and will recommend this hotel to my family and friends. I also found this hotel to be clean and the staff were courteous. I stayed several days and there was always something different for breakfast. they had great evening snacks with something different every day.
Best Western is a clean and convenient hotel to stay in. The rooms are spacious and relaxing. It also had a great breakfast. Lots of choices. We didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked great.
Comfortable rooms! Clean, and nicely decorated rooms. Beds were soft but in a good expensive way. Delicious breakfast, with lots of choices. You may experience loud traffic in early morning. Other than that, very nice stay. Hotel a long way from Plaza.
Easy to find hotel, clean room, up to date, nice decor, and good breakfast options. The only complaint I had was that there is hardly any parking, but that's not the hotels fault. It's also pet friendly and I was happy to bring my pup on this vacation.
This hotel is very clean, staff is super sweet and helpful, bed are super comfortable, and BK was delicious. It is convenient to Wal- Mart, downtown, mall, and many restaurants. It was only 35 away from Casino!! I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. My husband and I would stay at Best Western Plus again.
Best hotel/motel we have ever stayed at. Very nice accommodations. Big room! Excellent breakfast Out-of-the way location for our travels but would probably stay here again. This hotel is about 5 miles from the square in Santa Fe so basically, it's just a place to sleep. For the price, it's a good deal. Rooms are comfortable.Very helpful and professional staff. They were able to answer all questions and direct us to the many good restaurants.
This hotel is about 5 miles from the square in Santa Fe so basically, it's just a place to sleep. For the price, it's a good deal. Rooms are comfortable and staff is helpful and friendly but if you want to see Santa Fe you'll need to drive and park near the square.
Had never been to Santa Fe before. The downtown area was frustrating and so glad we headed out of town a ways and found this Best Western. The young gal at the front desk was very gracious & most helpful with dining choices. Our room, although a little outdated, was perfect. Very quiet. The breakfast was the best we had on our week's adventure.
Best hotel/motel we have ever stayed at. Very nice accommodations. Big room! Excellent breakfast Out-of-the way location for our travels but would probably stay here again. It is not convenient to Hy 599.
Guys there is free trail mix all day long. Where else do they do this ? I want to go there. You could skip the cost of lunch by taking some trail mix and fruit with you as you enjoy your day in Santa Fe. The hot tub is always clear and clean, good pool for the kids to enjoy. Very clean rooms. I will be back, thanks.
The only thing wrong with this hotel is that it is not downtown which is reflected in the price. Very helpful and professional staff. They were able to answer all questions and direct us to the many good restaurants.
The rooms could have been a little cleaner and the whirlpool didn't work but the staff was so friendly and courteous. All in all we enjoyed our stay. The staff made up in personality and friendliness any shortcomings.
Very nicely updated and maintained property. Warm, fresh decor. Check in quick and easy. All staff courteous and friendly. Many restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. Our second floor window opened to let in that fresh New Mexico air. Decent choices for breakfast. Dining area can be a little overwhelmed during rush hour so patience helps.
What I like about this hotel is that it feels like Santa Fe without the high prices. Most hotels of this price range are the same and if you go to different towns you can be assured of the same hotel on the inside. This Best Western is different but the price is still the same! Both inside and out the hotel looks like the historic southwestern atmosphere of Santa Fe. We spent a weekend here with grandparents and kids and had a blast. The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating and the pool area was really nice for my kids. A bonus is that the hot tub is down in its own area so we could relax in peace while the kids played loudly in the pool area. We enjoyed our weekend here, it really felt like we got away
The front desk staff were chilly. The room decor was beyond kitschy. The bathroom was extremely cramped. My neighbors slammed their doors over and over. Between 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM I counted FIFTY door slams before I just gave up. A dollar's worth of cheap weatherstripping would reduce the noise of the door banging against the frame; too bad the management apparently spent all their money on baby-poo colored sponge painting in the guest rooms.
For Valentines Day weekend, I planned a bike trip around Santa Fe for my wife and I. We rode the Rail Runner train up to Santa Fe with our bicycles, toured a lot of Santa Fe you would not normally see with a car and then rode to the Best Western. I read the TripAdvisor reviews (which were very good) before making reservations which eased my mind about the choice. When we checked in, we were immediately upgraded to a suite which was really nice and unexpected! The hotel was fantastic, well kept and everyone was very friendly. The breakfast was nothing short of fantastic (we have NEVER seen french toast at free morning breakfast in a hotel before). Although the dining area was pretty busy while we were enjoying breakfast, the staff kept the serving trays stocked. Apparently a LOT of people heard about this Best Western because there were a lot of travelers from many different states and foreign countries. We left on Sunday morning and had a leisurely bike ride back to the train station and a relaxing train ride home. Thank you Best Western for being a wonderful part of our Valentines Weekend adventure!
The hotel had been remodeled, the pillows were small not full size, the breakfast area was dirty and the food was not replenished the eggs were salty and the staff did not take care of the area. Asked for a room that was gonna be quiet but there was a fight and some one slamming doors. Just was not impressed at all for being in Santa Fe. Next time I will spend the money and go somewhere else.
friendly staff experience during reservation and check-in process. Quiet rear-facing room with mountain view. Comfortable 2-QN room with small fridge and micro. Bathroom a bit small. Good breakfast selection, sometimes crowded bfast room, but overflow seating in pool area. Hotel handled winter storm situation and I-25 icing and I-40 closure during Christmas '15 with flexibility and accommodating service.
We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting g Santa Fe and would not hesitate to stay here again. We arrived and were instantly upgraded to a suite, which was huge and beautifully furnished/decorated with all the mod cons. The staff were friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was good with a good variety. The hotel is about 3 miles out of the main town but it's well placed for driving out to see other parts of the city, there is public transport accessible too and a large car park.
Clean, friendly, safe, no chemical cleaner smell, pool and hot tub in great condition, very comfortable beds, lot of hot water, and pets stay free! It's easy to pay too much for lodging in overpriced Santa Fe, but with places like this available, why would you? The only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the usual breakfast spread...which was actually better than average, but that's not saying much. Keep in mind that we are food snobs though, so most of you probably will love the food.
Second time here, there will be more. Excellent staff and facility. This will be a scheduled stop between houses. I really like no extra charge for pets. No BS extra charges for nothing. An excellent breakfast in a nice setting. Well stocked with friendly personnel that you actually see.
First night next to room with kids who ran and slammed doors...hotel does have problem with doors that loudly slam when closing...should have buffer ... They were very nice and switched us to another floor...management was very sympathetic to our problem. Rooms are very DARK.... Buffet the best!!!!!
Chose the Best Western because it was pet friendly . Average hotel, comfortable beds, needed more electric outlets in room, small bathroom, dark room - just a stopover between Dallas and Colorado with a dog. Better than usual breakfast surprisingly.
We drove 14 hours and arrived road weary and expected a nice hotel. What we got was a great hotel with an exceptional staff that made sure our every need was attended. the room was large and the hot tub just what travel tired bones needed. Management and staff take pride in their hotel and it shows.
Very attractive room and nice facilities. Very good all-you-can eat hot breakfasts. We had selected it because it said it was close to downtown, but it's five miles out. Nice staff, indoor pool and exercise room.
The price was right on this room. It was nicely appointed and the free breakfast was pretty hardy. Free wifi too. The staff was friendly. The area seemed to be nice-so I couldn't ask for anything else.
We have stay at this hotel the last few times we have visited Santa Fe. It has been consistently clean and a great value. The breakfast has a nice variety each morning, and the staff are kind and professional.
We felt comfortable and invited at this Best Western. We all slept great and they even provide doggie bags for clean up on the property. We are happy about the location as well, because there was plenty of room to take the furry kids out.
The room was cold and very noisy. The meals were not good and the front desk was unkind. I would not recommend this place to any one. The parking area was unsafe and there was trash all over the place/
A hotel stay is more than the landscape. Both the exterior and our suite reflected the fact that we were in the Southwest. You spend a great deal of time in your room. The lovely decor immersed us into a feeling of being in an "upscale" Adobe. The staff was prompt and helpful. The facilities were pet friendly. The price didn't take a big bite out of our budget. The old town plaza was an easy, direct drive away. What more is there to say? Buenos Tardes!
I ended up with a king suite. I loved the balcony and was able to step outside without having to go downstairs and through the lobby. The pool is heated and the hot tub helped in the relaxation aspect.
The employee checking us in was very friendly and efficient, upgraded us to a suit. Awoke to 5 inches of snow in the morning, having left my snow brush at home, the employee working desk offered me the use of a broom to clean snow off car.
Perfect for our road trip. Dog friendly, indoor poor with hot tub, and complimentary breakfast with make-your-own waffles. Does it get any better for young kids? Add in all the great restaurants in Santa Fe, and this makes for a good one-night family pit stop. Cons were low toilets, bizarrely so, and paper-thin walls. We could hear people all around us which did not make for easy falling asleep at night.
We've stayed at this hotel several times and it has been consistently good. It's a ways from the plaza and many of Santa Fe's attractions but the price is more reasonable because of it. This isn't a luxury resort but the rooms are large, clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, better than most I would say. They have a nice indoor pool but I haven't used it.
We stayed here driving to CO and were very pleased. We have stayed at other Best Western Plus and this was one of the nicest. I would stay here again when in Santa Fe. We appreciated the location and the amenities at the hotel and nearby.
Hotel is well kept inside and out. Great value for the price. Rooms are clean and updated. Very friendly staff. Good location between IH25 and downtown. Sorry, I was done with my review so I had to add extra stuff about nothing in general because I had to use 200 characters to post or not post this review.
I have stayed several times at this property and it continues to be a good choice. I chose a different room type this time (2 queen bed with microwave/frig). The room was clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable enough. There was a bit of an odor this time around..and am not sure what it was from, but the entire 2nd floor in our area had it. The guests staying across the hall and in the room next to us were terribly loud... but eventually quieted down so we were able to get a decent night's rest. I didn't eat breakfast this time, but my husband did and he said it was okay. This location is about 4 miles to the Plaza, but an easy drive. I will continue to recommend this property and will stay again.
Not too far from Santa Fe sites and easy access to everything to shopping, restaurants and attractions. The hot breakfast really helps getting the day off to a good start and this hotel gives value for price. Staff was friendly.
This rooms were very nice. Very "southwestern" with gorgeous Saltillo tile. The breakfast was ok but with the comfy beds who cares about food! We had the one room with 3 beds which was spacious for 3 adults, 1 teenager, and a 7 year old. Definitely a great stay!
Helpful and friendly front desk staff, clean quiet and big room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed. good Wi-Fi, very good (no junk) breakfast, parking not far from room, good italian restaurant in walking distance shopping center,
We just spent the night while passing through, but got a good night's sleep. Beds are very comfortable. Room is descent size. Clean room, hot breakfast, friendly staff. We didn't go out, but there are several resturants and shopping nearby.
Close enough to downtown Santa Fe, but easy access to the interstate, we were very pleasantly surprised by the look of the exterior and even more with the interior décor. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, beds great, continental breakfast was full breakfast with eggs, potatoes, waffles, fruit, and cereal. The staff was friendly and the lobby/lounge area and pool were clean and inviting.
The rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable, amenities adequate, air conditioning works well, and staff pleasant and attentive. Everything is clean and well maintained Breakfast is varied each day and of adequate quality.
Room was on the third floor and hot without heat or cooling on during a very cold weather period. Breakfast was average, but the room was always available to heat our own food or get coffee or fruit. Everything was clean and orderly.
We recently stayed here with our 2 children for an overnight trip. The 2 room family suite was just what we needed after a long car ride! Each child had their own queen size bed while hubby and I had a king to ourselves. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We even had a nice deck outside our room that we could sit at in the morning and drink our coffee. I loved that the decor throughout this hotel was all a southwest theme (inside and out). It really made you feel like you were in New Mexico. The breakfast was great and much more than the usual continental breakfast. They also offered omelets, bacon, and potatoes. Pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.
This was our third or fourth stay at this hotel and we were pleased to find it as good as ever. Clean, nicely decorated, well maintained and comfortable. A great location if you don't mind (or prefer) being a couple of miles away from downtown.
Reception member of staff was hardly welcoming on arrival, in fact she was rather rude in our opinion. Originally we planned to stay 2 nights however we cut short our visit after the first night due to 'below par' standards. Small room, very dark, almost dungeon like, not very clean, no curtains, just slatted wooded blinds covered in dust would you believe, unfortunately offering little privacy since there were quite wide gaps between the wooden slats, street lights lit the room during the night, not ideal for a good nights sleep. Windows very drafty, it was blowing a gale that night, not the warmest room we've stayed in, it would have been helpful had they at least provided a pair of curtains, for both insulation & blackout purposes, but for what ever reason, I can only assume a cost cutting one, they haven't bothered! Bathroom very small indeed, again not very clean. Breakfast choice could only be described as very limited. Overall probably one of the worst 'Best Western plus' operations that we've stayed in, well below BW usual standards, suggest you book elsewhere until they get their act together.
Not enough room to put up two suitcases. Not enough electrical outlets to plug in and recharge two telephones and a tablet. No room in the bathroom for counter to put any personal belongings on. Room was small. Two queen beds. Very small 24inch square table in corner. Refrigerator but no microwave.
We stayed 2 nights in Santa Fe on our way from Medicine Hat to Tucson. The hotel was easy to access from the highway. Our upgraded suite was large, clean, well-appointed and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was on a bus route. The transit system is exemplary.
this best western is awesome. made me feel at home, friendly .i would stay here again. beautiful rooms and lobby, breakfast has many choices. comfy beds . staff is very helpful. it was a good choice for me
A average Best Western property. Staff was pleasant, nice, comfortable lobby, comfortable bed, easy check in. Exceptions: rooms facing highway are subject to highway noise throughout the evening. Room I stayed in had a broken bathroom door handle and shudders.
We had been driving all day from Denver, CO in the rain and were quite tired when we arrived at this B W motel. I had called them from the road and made reservations over the phone. So check in was easy. The hotel has recently been updated so every thing in the room was nice and new. Breakfast was good the next morning. Check out was easy.
We visited Santa Fe, NM and enjoyed the sights of city, this hotel was only a few miles from the Plaza and easy to get out of town the next morning. There are not too many places to eat close by, but we ate at the Plaza so that was okay.
An excellent hotel, pleasant and helpful staff, comfortable beds, clean room, good breakfast. Located 5 miles from the city centre but a local bus is available if necessary. Recommended for a short or long stay.
Spent the night here as we traveled through Santa Fe. Great room, very nice south western decor, quality linens. Easy walk to Olive Garden, Chilis etc. great value for $80! Service was very efficient. Full breakfast including typical Hispanic items such as breakfast burritos! Will return!
Very pleasant stay, room clean, & beautiful décor! Enjoyed the Fall colors and hiking in local Ntl Park. Lots to do in Santa Fe, we will definitely be back, and hopefully time will allow us to extend our stay even longer next year!!!
Great place to stay. Very clean. Customer service was great. Ladies at the check in counter had big smiles when we came through the door. Breakfast was exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel. Hotel lobby was very inviting. Nice fireplace and comfy chairs.
We continued on our cross county trip and stayed at another Best Western Plus. The rooms, service, breakfast are all excellent. Staff was very pleasant. Location was near all the things we wanted to visit.
It was a pretty standard Best Western type experience. Totally satisfactory, not really any frills but the bed was comfortable and the wifi was reliable. The lobby and exterior were very Santa Fe. Location was fine, about 15 minutes from city center. Restaurants nearby. Easy to access from the highway. The shower was a little jenky, the shower head was loose in the wall, but it worked and there was hot water. Fine for the price.
Hotel has excellent western features both interior and exterior. The location is good for access to downtown Santa Fe. Staff were very professional and very helpful. The only problem I encountered during the stay was slow internet access. I recommend you provide faster internet service in the future.
This hotel was comfortable and nicely decorated, the staff was amazing, and the property is conveniently located. The reception area features a cozy fireplace and comfy seating and there is an indoor pool area that provides overflow seating for diners partaking of the complimentary breakfast for guests. You an tell a remodel was done and that careful attention was given to modernizing the property. We would definitely stay here again because it was a great value for the money.
We stayed here as part of a 3 week road trip mostly stayed as Best Westerns. It was a nice clean room, only issue was lack of easily accessible power outlets. most of the other Best Westerns have outlets on the lamps on the bed and desk. This one did not and we are a couple to like to fire up several electronics at the same time.
I originally wrote about my experience with Best Western the days of 09/27-29 in which I stayed. I did this originally in partnership with BW. They took what I had shared and omitted the part about the missing expensive sunglasses. They claimed to have found the glasses under the table in our room in which I did get down and looked for them (very good) . I also mentioned that the girls at the front desk were lame and that the only reason the glasses had been found was because the manager had been standing there when I had been complaining. I was just going to blow this off until I had noticed something else had been stolen. The experience that I shared was with Best Western and then the censored experience was sent to Tripadvisor.
The free hot breakfast certainly exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the family suites were nice & big and we loved the bed accommodations the room has to offer. The only thing was we had to use the air condition and that was pretty noisy & plus the other adjoining room where our kids were at did not get much of the benefit if the air condition. There was no door but they still felt pretty warm since the air condition was on our side of the room.
I rarely find a hotel perfect but this one is, great decoration, very comfortable, friendly staff, very clean very good breakfast, very diversified food, the coffee is excellent, not watery which is rare !!!!!
Rooms have very thin walls, people were loud in the hallways at late hours. Bed was comfortable. Not a good value for the money. Location was fine but not optimal for accessing the plaza area. Would not recommend this hotel for future stays.
This property is staffed by friendly, helpful, welcoming people whose attitude contributes to the pleasure of traveling. The hotel is very clean, the location is convenient and the amenities plentiful. It was interesting to note that the property is owned/managed by a group that also provides the same service for the Best Western Empire Towers in Sioux Falls, SD where we had stayed earlier on this current trip. Both places provided excellent service, which is a clear reflection of the attitude of their management. It has been nice to experience such customer service.
This was a short family girls trip for the weekend and could not have picked a better place to stay. Our room was exceptionally clean and well serviced while there. We took advantage of the indoor pool (a little cool), the hot tub and the exercise room. The complimentary breakfast was better than most places I've stayed in the past. Only problem there was the other guests, some of who were rude and pushy. We would stay here again! All staff were encountered were professional, helpful and friendly. We would stay there again!
This was a very nice place to stay. However, do not leave any valuable items in the breakfast room. A piano Keyboard in a large box was left overnight by our Ensemble group. The next morning the door was locked from the inside and the keyboard had been taken out through a window, which was left open. The exercise room had also been broken into. The tv was too large to get thru a barred window so that theft was abandoned.
My husband and I spent 3 fabulous nights here in a beautifully appointed room with a jacuzzi. The staff was terrific. The pool was awesome and so was the hottub. The free breakfast was wonderful. Only drawback was not enough seating in the small breakfast area, although you are invited to sit around the pool. Location is super easy to find, not far off of the interstate, and also on the main street leading downtown, without paying downtown prices.
We had a one night stay in this well maintained and clean hotel, the staff were extremely helpful as we had a prepaid voucher from our holiday company which had not been paid! However the desk made a call and it was sorted in minutes. Rooms were big and beds very comfy. The complimentary breakfast was very good, al food was hot and well cooked. Thank you and hopefully visit again some day.
Dropped in this hotel for a room and being lucky, they had one. We were given a regular room on the third floor, having two queen beds and all of the amenities. This hotel has been around a few years but it appears to have been well kept. The furnished morning breakfast was very good having both hot and cold foods. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, workout room and is located about 7-9 miles from city center. Everyone at this hotel was extremely helpful and serviced our needs. I would return to this hotel.
Room was small. Hotel looks a little worn at the edges and the bathroom is so small. The breakfast was great. Close to local stores and not far from downtown Santa Fe but you will not get the real feel of Santa Fe here. It is an average hotel with a little lower price and good place to stay at to see the attractions.
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good and complete and the property had good parking, nice pool and spa. The only problem for us was the distance between the hotel and downtown. We used internet in the room without a problem and the roomhad a good size for two people.
We spent two nights on this weekend to attend a wedding held by the plaza. We opted to go for value and we are so glad we did. Our stay was very comfortable and really convenient. Six minutes from the square and close to everything we cared to visit. The place is very clean and the team was very welcoming. This will be my choice next month when we return.
