Unique hotel, and a very nicely maintained property. They also have great complimentary breakfast and beverage options, although seating is a little limited for the size of the hotel. Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful with the check-in process for my large group.
This hotel was top notch and I will definitely plan to stay here again. The staff is so wonderful and accommodating, not to mention extremely friendly and check in was so fast. My kids loved the pool, the beds were super comfortable and most importantly, the entire room was very clean and sanitary. The hotel location felt very safe and was so quiet and peaceful. For the price, you won't find a better stay anywhere else. Fair pricing but felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel. Thanks for the enjoyable stay, Best Western.
After camping for a week in Wyoming we decided to treat ourselves to a night here before going home. Upon arrival we were met by a pleasant front desk attendant, no issues here. Up to the room we went to enjoy some (much needed) showers and relaxation before hitting the road early the next morning. Unfortunately I stepped into a lukewarm shower. Expecting it to heat up as time went on, I didn't get out right away. Poor choice, as it got colder rather than warmer. After finishing my tepid shower I called the front desk and was told they would check to see if the boiler was turned up. Not sure why it wouldn't be turned up on a holiday weekend with a full parking lot of people, but my poor husband waited patiently for his shower. 30 minutes later he took a nice hot shower. Showered again on departure morning and it was again lukewarm water- apparently you need to call the desk and have the boiler turned up prior to getting into the shower? Kids were running up and down the halls screaming and slamming doors until well after midnight. Called the front desk to ask them to intervene, answer was "oh are they still doing that? I'll have to go tell them to stop". So we were obviously not the first to complain that night. If they said anything they were ignored, as the kids carried on as though it was 4pm instead of midnight. As if the rowdy guests weren't enough, there was also the incredibly loud AC unit. The only plus was that the beds were comfy, so once we were finally able to get a few hours of sleep they were quality hours. We should have just spent another night camping, as we would have slept better and would have saved $136.
We expected more from a BW +. Carpets, chair in our room old and worn out. The swimming pool was big but overheated. Our room was comfortable though, and the breakfast was good. Staff was very good. Our impression was that the motel has undergone renovations but not completed.
Really great room! Two queen beds and a sofa bed for my young adult kids very spacious room very comfortable. The beds were softer than I like. Perfect for just one night. Great kitchen area staff clean facilities great views from! Breakfast was actually pretty decent with flour tortillas, scrambled sausage, French toast, make your own pancakes, cereal, yogurt, hard, boiled, eggs, and the lake. Really liked the option of making my own breakfast burrito with salsa and cheese. The only negative part is the stairway up to our room 236 reeked of dog urine! Seemed like it was a pretty recent thing so management may not have been aware of it. I did bring it to the attention of front desk in the morning, but oh my gosh, it was bad. Not on the hotel, though that's on theirresponsible pet owners.
Checkin was easy. Our room smelled like a wet dog had been in it as soon as we walked in. Then when we tried the A/C it didn't work (outside temp was about 98°). The front desk sent Tanner up immediately and he put in a new thermostat. The A/C then worked for about 5 minutes before shutting off again. The front desk offered us a different room which we gladly accepted. The A/C worked great in this room, the room smelled clean and good, but the TV remote did not work. In checking it, the batteries were all corroded. Tanner was contacted and he brought up and installed new batteries. After he left, we turned TV on only to discover there was no/very little sound. Turned volume as high as it could go and TV was still a whisper. We were done complaining and turned TV off. In the morning I discovered an open bag of chips on the floor under the desk left by the previous guest. Beds were comfortable. Shower had good water pressure, Breakfast offered scrambled eggs, link sausages, and French toast sticks as hot items. Checkin/out was quick although girl at front desk when checking out did not seem too interested in my complaint about finding chips under desk left by previous guest. We had booked to stay here on our return home but cancelled and booked with another Best Western.
Filthy bathroom with hair all over and horribly dirty floor. The picture shown is one swipe across a small area of the bathroom floor. The review requires 200 characters. I feel like the photo shows you everything you need to see about how dirty the floor was in the bathroom. The shower also had hair all over in it. Disgusting.
I always stay at this motel. It's conveniently located to many different restaurants and stores. It is clean and the staff is very Nice. I stay here all the time when traveling and have never really ever had a bad experience. The breakfast is decent
Great staff! Clean comfortable bed and bedding. Great breakfast options! Close to shopping, restaurants. We came for a Kenny Chesney concert and this motel was so convenient to access America First Field. Would definitely stay again!!!
Other hotels need to come take notes!! This was one of the best Best Westerns(hotel) there is. We highly recommend. Everything was perfect even breakfast. Staff was amazing even at 630am. Lots of parking also. Best coffee and they even have an amazing coffee espresso machine!
Clean room and facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Parking lot is decent with good options. Breakfast has always been great. Makes it very easy when traveling with children to have a warm breakfast that isn't from a fast food train.
The overall stay was decent, the room was clean, breakfast could have had more options, but it was still a good meal, most of the staff was super friendly and helpful, and my most positive review would have to be the fact that it was quiet. My most negative review has to be about the front desk attendant, she was apathetic, and just not very helpful.
When I stay in Sandy, Utah, I always choose the Best Western Plus Cotton Tree Inn. I've never had a bad experience there. The hotel is safe and quiet. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The rooms and property are always clean and well kept up. The breakfast is hot and plentiful. The beds and pillows are great and the climate control is easy to adjust to my liking. The staff and management look out for their guests and will help accommodate your needs.
Overall, the hotel met our needs and expectations. The staff was professional, friendly and cared that we had a good experience at their hotel. Breakfast was very good, the pool and hot tub functioned well and were open later for guests to enjoy. There is a nice area for small groups to gather in the lobby and breakfast area. The floors are quiet and elevator is efficient. The downside was the water pressure in the shower. Perhaps that was just a top floor problem? Maintenance did try to correct the issue and it improved in some of our rooms.
Very clean, modern facility with friendly and helpful staff. Nice grassy areas to walk dogs. Parking for larger vehicles. Plenty of nearby restaurants, gas stations, shopping opportunities. Easy access to highways and local venues like Bastian Agriculture Center.
It's an average hotel, breakfast is ok but you can fill up on the variety they have, thanks for the fruit, coffee machine a nice touch, bathroom should have been cleaner, hair on the floor, convenient location, some road noise at night.
Great clean establishment. The staff was helpful, and on top of things. Our room was very comfortable and we had plenty of space to move around and unpack in. Not a bad location relative to the ski areas, it was quieter too since its set just a little further from the highway than the other chains. Would definitely stay again.
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 12 months. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the hotel staff is friendly and attentive to guests' needs. Breakfast is fresh and includes a wide variety of items to choose from. The indoor pool is wonderful. The value for the price paid is very good. The walls and floors seemed pretty soundproof since I did not hear people in other rooms.
We stay here often for dog shows in the area. The place is always clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. This has become one of our favorite hotels. There are many options nearby for dinner and shopping.
Don't fall for the hope getting eligible for current offers. They'll mess something and you'll end up not getting the offer and end up paying more. There are other good hotels with honest offers and cheaper prices. Pick others. This is scam.
This hotel sets the standard for all hotels! Very nice place. It is clean, comfy, quiet. Even the breakfast was good! I stayed for a week on business and I actually looked forward to coming back to my room at night. There is free coffee 24/7, nice pool, friendly staff too.
Beautiful views of the mountains, convenient location, great value and some of the nicest people I've ever met in the service industry. Shay prepared a delicious breakfast every morning that was only surpassed by her bright smile and welcoming attitude. If you're visiting Sandy Utah for any reason please consider the Best Western Plus Cotton Tree Inn.
Excellent hotel that was convenient for our skiing trip. The property is 10 minutes from the first bus stop for the Little Cottonwood Canyon bus for Alta & Snowbird. Moreover, it is only about a 45 minute drive to Brighton & Solitude. We also drove to Snowbasin but this was more of a haul. The rooms and common areas are upkept very nicely. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We used the pool and hot tub a couple of times and they were also clean. Breakfast was a little better than average for the typical hotel. There were numerous restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away.
Best Western plus cotton inn is the best located hotel in Sandy Utah. It is best place to stay with family if someone visiting Sandy or Salt lack city. It was my third visit with family and is quite satisfying experience.
Clean rooms friendly service We live out of state Always a go to spot for us when we are passing through. We had an unknown schedule Had to adjust the night stayed a few times. The Best western was very accommodating and made arrangements To accommodate us during our travel. It was very much appreciated. Thanks
This place needs improvement. The bed was almost like sleeping on concrete! My back was very sore in the morning. Also, the shower was shabby looking and squealed the entire time the water was flowing. Great location but really needs to be improved!!
This was a great hotel, with really helpful staff. We accidentally ended up here instead of their sister hotel, but the young man checked us in and sorted it all out for us. Our room was huge, bed comfy and a good breakfast. Would definitely stay again :)
We have stayed at this particular best western multiple times. We love this location. Absolutely our favorite place to stay. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely pleased!
We stay here all the time for dog shows. The place is clean. It feels safe. It is very conveniently located. Staff is always friendly. Breakfast has a nice variety. Plenty of parking space. It is always our first choice when we stay in Sandy, Utah.
I've stayed here for many many years both on military business as well as personal. Since that time I've seen a decline of this place which is sad to see. The smell of pot bring smoked on the balconies to the clientele I see walking through the door I've never seen construction crews like I did this last stop, the parking lot full of these trucks. Worsts is I'm s breakfast guy as I need food to take my medication (military exposure) and non the less poor service back in December 2022 and this morning. Nothing was made as ll the food was gone at 8:30 am. I asked the lady attendant if she was making more but did not receive an answer, My wife and I walked out to go find a restaurant. Renting a room for the night one perk is breakfast but if I can't get it perhaps time to move on to a hotel that cares.
Someone turned in my Visa card I dropped the night before in parking lot and the Front desk girl made sure the Visa Card was mine by asking me questions to ensure it was my Card. Hotel was nice and clean with a nice breakfast. Beds were comforable too. Hotel has a mall right across the street, a great Greek restaurant nearby and beautiful trails close by.
We were greeted by a very friendly front desk representative. We had an initial problem but it was taken care of immediately beyond expectations. He thanked my husband for his military service and honored the discount. The room was clean and bed were comfortable. The staff granted a late check out and were very accommodating to our needs. They also serve excellent coffee!
I always stay at best Western. They are very puppy friendly. They are always accommodating and the guests really appreciate my fur babies. No matter which best western I stay at I always get great service and very accommodating, for my travel needs.
Located in the midst of restaurants and shopping, yet quiet, clean and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were directed to a Sports Pub minutes away for dinner and I noticed lots of other choices as well. Very nice stay
What an amazing week stay. I came for business, but felt so relaxed here. Quiet night sleep. Great breakfast and amenities. Helpful staff. They aren't far from skiing resorts either, so I was able to sneak a day to ski also. Will definitely come back!
This is a nice and clean Best Western. If you're heading up to any of the ski resorts in the Cottonwood Canyon it's a short drive from here. It's also a 15 minute drive to the Midvale bus station and you can jump on the free bus to any of the ski resorts. The free breakfast is one of the better I've seen at a Best Western. Our room was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The shower head in room 414 started making a loud squealing noise each time after 5 minutes of use. The room next to us did the same thing and we could hear it. The walls are thin in the rooms. Got woke up one night from the sounds of our neighbors "getting it on" if you know what I mean and we could hear everything. Overall, I'd stay here again.
From our first contact with Brianna at the desk, the entire stay was perfect. Brianna was professional and friendly and was able to accommodate our needs. Everything in the room worked! Breakfast was excellent. I attended meetings in one of their meeting rooms and the room and amenities were great. I would definitely stay there again.
I stay here frequently. They take care of this place and the staff is friendly. Good amenities throughout. Clean facilities, I have rarely experienced an issue and if so they take care of it appropriately.
Gone are the days of old. The new updates are fantastic, and the beds were super comfy. Breakfast was amazing with an actual coffee machine giving lots of options. Traveling cross country, and we are only staying at BWs now.
I've stayed at Best Western Cottontree Inn on AutoMall Drive in Sandy many times. It has never disappointed me. The room was spacious and gracious and the staff friendly and provided great service. I highly recommend this if you want a good lodging experience in the southern part of the Salt Lake Valley.
This hotel was perfectly fine. It was clean & comfortable. We had no complaints or issues. It was very good value too. They even had gluten free Cheerios at breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
Only because nothing is perfect. You may be easier than me. I am sure you will enjoy this facility. I want a better mattress, but it would have to be brand new, so I am just being fussy over trivial issues.
Great place. Spacious, close to what we wanted which was the Mountain America Center. Lots of eateries close by. The breakfast was super delicious, pancakes, eggs, sausages, cereal, etc. The hotel is located near many things to do, easy driving distance.
Every time we come to SLC we always stay at this hotel. The rooms are always so nice and clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is pretty good and plenty to choose from. I'll always come back!
People brought dogs that were not housebroken and the dogs left multiple disgusting piles in the hallway right in front of the elevator. Gross. We told the front desk but they will never get that completely out of the carpet. If they allow pets put them on a separate floor.
Across from a shopping centre, lots of restaurants nearby, short drive to the aquarium. Pool and spa were clean. Breakfast had a lot of variety and hot items (pancakes, bacon/sausage, eggs, oatmeal and cereal, toast and other pastry items) juices and coffee.
Pros: I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years.value is great Staff is very friendly and helpful, location is also great for shopping and has about everything you could need within a few miles. Onto the cons: Hot tub used to be 24 hours so I was disappointed when I went down and it was closed at 11pm. Room had an mild unpleasant odor upon arriving and took a little while to cool down. King suite I stayed in was clean but not as clean as it could be under and behind furniture. Also it didn't have any silverware, plates, bowls just a few paper cups and napkins. Not recommended for extended stay atleast in accessible king suite.
My family enjoyed a our stay while my grandson played his soccer tournament. The hotel staff was friendly, the hotel was nice and clean. Of course the pool was enjoyed by my grandson after long days playing soccer in the hot sun. We will stay here again next year.
Beautiful facility, reasonably priced. Easy on and off freeway-but a block away for a quiet night, no truck traffic noises. We'll be back! Close to SLC without paying the extra price.only 20 minutes away.
Have stayed at this hotel in the past for work and leisure and as always this is a wonderful place to stay. I enjoy the balconies that some rooms have. The breakfast in the mornings is unlike any other hotel, they treat you as a very important guest. Just a great awesome experience as always.
Overall, great hotel. excellent breakfast, clean, and good location! But the walls are super thin! Our neighbors brought their barking dog and blared their tv late at night. Made for a horrible night's sleep.
This Best Western in Sandy was clean and comfortable! So much better than the one in Baker City! Highly recommend this hotel! Reception gave us a list of restaurants located close by with staff favorites marked! We went to Wendy's just across the parking lot-we were tired!!
Room was clean, beds were comfortable, overall property was clean including pool, hot tub and exercise area. Noticed a lot of cleaning while we were coming and going too. Updated amenities. Breakfast has a lot of good options; kitchen area was clean and food items well stocked. Great customer service. We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and it has always been a good experience.
My wife and I spent three nights at this Best Western. We had a great stay and have no complaints. The property is well-maintained, our room was clean and updated, the staff members were all very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good, and the location is great. We couldn't have asked for anything more. One of the most pleasant experiences we have had staying in a hotel while traveling.
The beds are very comfortable. The balcony was enjoyable. The pool and hot tub are warm and we enjoyed them. Rooms do NOT have a microwave. Bathroom is small. Breakfast area is small and could use more seating. Options were few.
The staff at this location is top notch. They provided excellent support from the front desk and the conference facilities. We were able to access the conference rooms early and because of the number of rooms our group booked the conference rooms were provided at no additional charge. During my checkout the manager even took the time to bring the receipt to me as I was busy with the conference.
The rooms are Very clean and comfortable, the people are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to shopping and restaurants. The pool is well maintained and the fitness center was clean and up-to-date
We always stay here when traveling through Utah. Great hotel, great pool, easy access to restaurants and freeway. It's a wonderful little oasis. It's always clean and breakfast is typically quite good.
Convenient clean stay with good pet policy. Slightly dated facility, but well maintained and rooms appear to have had somewhat recent upgrades. This hotel is in good management and is a safe reliable mid-range hotel stay.
The young lady that answered the phone when we called in for a reservation was so friendly and so helpful, getting us the best value. The stay came with a complete breakfast which included, eggs, potatoes and bacon, on top of that, there were donuts and fruit and cereal and juices...very delicious and a great value.
The place was good, location was perfect. The breakfast was grab and go and very sparse with very little choice. There was no microwave in the room we had so if that is needed better ask prior to getting the room.
It was a great pleasure to stay at this very nice hotel, the entire staff at this hotel is so amazing. Our sleeping room was very clean and spacious. The full hot breakfast was very nice and a great selection of food. I would highly recommend this hotel every time you are coming to Sandy, Utah. We will be back I promise. Thanks for an amazing stay!!
I am a Platinum member of BW and travel a lot so see lots of different hotels in the BW chain. This is as expected for a BW, clean, decent room, decent breakfast. What I did not care for was the handle to turn on the shower. Hard to make work. Had to call front desk for instructions.
The breakfast tasted amazing but breakfast staff struggled to keep up with the demand of the guests needing food so there was wait times for several items. The pool was warm and the kids enjoyed it. Parking lot was rather slick and the room had filth on floors like they forgot to vacuum and sweep. In the morning there was no hot water so we all had to take lukewarm showers. When we asked for more towels it took 3 hours for them to bring them to our room and at that point we had already showered using hand towels and wash cloths to dry off with.
Breakfast was ready when stated , but , must be a Mormon thing - Zero Coffee - Machine said on display "Coffee Not Available" , so we skipped the whole breakfast , went across the street to get coffee. Room was fine until morning!
As always it is nice to know that there is a clean room waiting for you when you come in off the road after traveling all day. i have been staying at this hotel for 8 plus years whether its work related or personal. Always been taken care with out hesitation.
I cant say enough good about this property. I always stay here when i go to Salt Lake and every time your met with the friendly staff of Kristen Angie, and even the new gentleman Conner. That in itself tells you something when you can remember the names of the staff that helps you when arriving or departing. This is a Best Western I would recommend to anyone traveling through this area. Bar None !!!
I was very surprised that we were able to check in before check in time. We got a room with a balcony and was very impressed with the view from it. We enjoyed the jacuzzi after a long day of driving and shopping. Beds were soft and comfy, great for a good nights rest. The location of this hotel was just about 5-10 minutes from the mall and many restaurants near by. was an easy commute to do what we wanted to do.
Great rooms with balconies, great for fresh air! Fitness room very limited and dated equipment, but functional. Housekeeping lacks consistency, not one piece of tp one day, no coffee another, room never vacuumed in a weeks stay.
When we were travelling through Utah we wanted a hotel that was just outside Salt Lake City on the south side since we were visiting national parks that day. This property has a great location. It is just off the highway but you don't hear any noise. If you are travelling north on the 15 and get off it is on the right side. We were going to Jackson Wyoming the next day so staying here allowed us easy highway access and we were able to bypass almost all of the Salt Lake City traffic the next morning. It is also close to many restaurants and right down the street from a Costco so you can fill up on gas the night before. I found this hotel to be a real value. It appears to have been built in the last few years. The room and bathroom were large. It seemed like the rooms were pretty well soundproofed because I didn't hear the people next to me or above me. They had a really wide variety of hot and cold items available for breakfast. The room to eat them in is fairly small but it is quite sufficient to handle to guests eating. All of the employees whether at check in or departure and in the breakfast eating area were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself travelling through Utah.
Location was good. Not to far from freeway. Breakfast was good. On website said waffles and biscuits and gravy, not didn't have any. When booking website said microwave and fridge but no microwave. Brought this up st checkout and desk person said because it was a standard room.
Our room was clean and ready when we got there. It was located close to an exit for our convenience when taking our dog out to relieve himself. They even had poop bags located near the door. Breakfast was hot and delicious. There were also many food establishments near by. Over all it was a very pleasant experience.
I was attending a dog event being held at the nearby Salt Lake County Equestrian Park. I found the hotel attractive, clean and quiet inside and out. The hotel located near the highway with many shopping and dining venues nearby. There was an excellent breakfast provided with attentive staff members. I would stay here again!
We booked for a ski trip. Up to date hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Clean room, comfy bed, lots of water pressure from shower. Loved the hot tub beside the pool. You made reservation for hot tub to limit numbers. We were the only 2 in our time slot each day. After a ski day it sure felt good! Breakfast was nicely done. Cook filled you plate as desired with eggs, bacon or sausage, etc. Muffins, yogurts, cereal, etc. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance. We have never obtained so much value for dollars spent!
Recently my wife and I stayed whiles a family member had surgery. During our stay my wife tripped and fell while trying to enter the hotel. Scraping her arm and injuring her hand. It seams like it was not a big deal to the management at the hotel. First of all if your going to do construction why no signage to warn guest where to walk to enter the building. Hotel is at fault and never received a phone call or email asking about my wife's condition. Holiday Inn across the street I recommend you try them first.
our bath room tub faucet was broken and water was running all night long made for a long night. wanted to stay there because the had a pool and hot tub but the pool was freezing cold and hot tub was broken
We enjoyed our stay at the best western for its cleanliness and staff, but we chose this hotel specifically for access to the pool and hot tub to celebrate a birthday. It was disappointing to find the pool frigid, colder than we could tolerate longer than a few minutes, and the hot tub was out of order too. I wanted to warn future potential guests because I wish I had been warned - I would not have chosen to stay here if I'd known about this beforehand. If you're not interested in the pool and hot tub, I would recommend this hotel
Staff at front desk are rude and not pleasant at all. Hotel was not very clean. Was not a pleasant stay. For it being a Best Western plus and us being diamond members, we were not pleased with this hotel.
Arrived late evening for an one night stay while on our way to the Grand Tetons. Quick check in , nice clean room and everything I have come to expect from Best Western. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel!
Very friendly and to name Conner & Emma the staff we dealt with we're very accommodating to our needs, ex:ground floor can't do stairs, parking availability, they made it very easy to feel comfortable and at ease! We asked about a good BBQ place, for dinner Emma suggested Texas Roadhouse and when we returned she asked us how it was, she has a lot of guests to deal with but took the time
This was not a great experience at Best Western. Emma and Gaby are two young girls who aren't very knowledgeable or helpful. I had a few issues and neither one of them did anything or even knew how to do anything. One told me there was no extra hold for “incidentals” and the other one told me that it was $200 for one night. Neither response was correct. But I did get jammed up with more than one hold. When I checked out, Garrett was responsive to my issues. He apologized and told Kristen, the GM, about my stay. I talked to her later in the day. She was outstanding. She made things right with me and accepted responsibility for the issues. I'm not used to any manager taking responsibility for a bad experience with an employee. But she did. I don't think Emma and Gaby are bad employees or people, but they clearly don't have a sense of urgency. I don't think they could fix any issue that a guest may have (TV, heat-A/C, etc). They definitely need a little more training. But I would definitely stay here again based on how Kristen handled it. Thanks again
My family, dog and I stayed for 9 days during our family vacation. We had excellent serves from all staff including breakfast staff, matiniance and counter staff. Highly recommend. Room was prefect only down side the ac didn't work great, and no microwave in the room.
The one thing my husband and I loved was the showers, perfect water temperature and pressure. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, and the service good. My husband and I both agreed we were pretty disappointed with the complimentary breakfast. We stayed for an entire week so it wasn't just a fluke. Every other day they switch back and forth between bacon and sausage and then have eggs and cinnamon french toast sticks every day. The eggs were tasteless, the sausage and bacon were low quality and cheap tasting, and the cinnamon french toast sticks were caked with way too much sugar and cinnamon every day. We really wished they had one of those waffle makers, but they didn't. The one thing that was good was they had really good orange juice.
Very nice hotel... had stayed at two previous at same price that were horrible. What a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptional and friendly. Breakfast was the best we've experienced since COVID came to be a thing
I have stayed at this hotel location before. The rooms are very comfortable, with the mattress and pillows being exceptional. The room was clean, and I love having the mini fridge in the room. The breakfast bar is good, however the variety of foods never changes much. I stayed for 3 days and the only change was alternating between bacon and sausage. This is a pet friendly hotel and all of my visits at this location I have seen many dogs. I have heard them barking from the hotel rooms and in the hallways. If this is a problem for you, or if you have allergies to animals, you probably shouldn't stay here.
The main level smelled terribly like cigarette smoke and dogs. While the 2nd floor only smelled like dogs, I was instantly feeling like I was at a rest stop gas station and it was disgusting! When the place im staying at smells like that, I instantly question everything else...check the beds, what could be on the carpet, is their breakfast edible? It makes our vacation exhausting, defeating the purpose of a vacation! To be fair, the breakfast was delicious and the sheets seemed clean. However, its hard not to be skeptical after the initial impression.
Very clean hotel, comfortable beds, quiet area, grab and go breakfast. Close to several restaurants and shopping. Pet friendly though we did not have a pet. There was a dog show in town and several guests had dogs
Everything was clean, the breakfast was delicious & the pool was heated! The check in process was fast & the staff was nice & friendly. They made sure to keep the hotel guests covid safe. I'd definitely stay here again.
Best of the Best Western Hotels I have ever stayed at. Staff was amazing, polite, attentive. Hotel was sparkling clean and staff was constantly cleaning. Pool was the best ever perfect temperature EVERY pool should be that temperature. Will stay here EVERY time we are in Utah. The price was lower than the surrounding hotels. We got the bang for our buck for sure! Can't wait to try the breakfast next time.
I had a low bar for what to expect of the brand and boy was I not only wrong, but super impressed. The location was key to a lot of things in walking distance, the lobby was nice, the rooms were updated, clean, the WiFi was free and worked well, staff was super friendly and the hot breakfast that was included in the price was excellent. Great value for the money!! Keep it up Best Western!!
I've been a loyal BW customer for years. The staff here are excellent & friendly. That was the best part. However, the first day they failed to service the room, when we returned at 4:30 the cleaning staff were gone & we were handed fresh towels. On the second day at 2:00 pm I asked if they were going to service the room & were told they do the stay over rooms last. At 4:30 room service showed up & asked if we needed anything. Just towels again. Finally on the 3rd day they took the dirty towels & vacuumed. No hairdryer in the room -glad we brought our own. Tissue box stayed empty after the first 2 days. We purchased our own because theirs were like wax paper. They never did refill it after 6 days. Then the COVID breakfast. They are doing the best they can under the ‘rules', but a breakfast from 6-9 should not run out of muffins before 8 with the excuse “we didn't realize we would be so busy”. Breakfast burritos choice were absolutely awful bean & cheese burritos. All in all not a BW+ like others I've stayed in. I will still stay in BW, but not this one.
The hotel visit started with a very nice day manager. The room was very comfortable , great location ,nice size tv , close to food choices We had to leave very early and the morning manager made it a point to find us more than ample food.
Had to spend the night for business. Checked in late around 11:30 pm. Was checked into a room that was not clean trash bag and cigarette butts on balcony. Floor in room was dirty not vacuumed. Expected much better with covid. Was moved to a new room. But there was a loud party going on down the hall. I have stayed at this hotel many times a few years ago. But I will not be returning. Many better options down town.
This hotel felt clean and safe. We stayed in a king room with a balcony. The room was a nice size. The balcony was larger than I expected with a view of the beautiful mountains. The bathroom was small but it did have a tub and a cabinet to store things. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and swimming in the pool (reservation required so call the day before you arrive). The staff is very friendly, especially Connor. The hotel is in a great location surrounded by places to eat. It's also near a mall and not far from a movie theater and the freeway. We will definitely stay here again.
We have stayed multiple times at this property. They are always friendly and helpful. The property is always immaculate, and breakfast has always been good. It's nice that the pool/jacuzzi is indoors for cold weather use. We've found the central location of the hotel very convenient also.
Only hotel we stayed at that had a swimming pool that was actually warm! How Nice! They served a great breakfast! Everything was great! Price was real good. Location was excellent. It was close to the Hale center theater that we went to. There were many restaurants close by.
This hotel is situated in driving distance of the bus stop to Snowbird ski area. There are several restaurants and stores nearby. The free breakfast is better than most hotel free breakfasts and the staff is super friendly. We will stay here the next time we ski here.
Located right across the mall and major restaurants in Sandy Utah, easy to access, and a friendly staff. The rooms were very nice and clean. The breakfast was a bit unusual but overall, it was adequate.
We always stay at this particular hotel because of the amazing people there. The housekeeping always do a great job, the front desk is ALWAYS friendly ( Connor wasnt there but Cameron checked us in and was just as pleasant), the food area ALWAYS smells amazing, we had to leave early so we missed breakfast sadly and so very impressed with ALL the precautions they are taking for COVID. AMAZING hotel and so worth the price.
Stayed two nights. Booked a king room, was offered a king with balcony as an upgrade upon check in. After a nightmare of switching rooms three times we finally got the king with a balcony. This includes key cards not being activated each time, walking back and forth to the rooms and front desk. Kids playing in hall - There were a couple kids driving a remote control car in the hall. Hitting the walls and our door. Called front desk to report but it continued for another hour. Breakfast – First day was fine. Second day we were told breakfast closed at 9. It is printed and we were told it closed at 10. The person was persistent but reluctantly served us breakfast.
Everything was as good as it could be under circumstances. Warm rooms, comfy beds. Great staff. Breakfast had a great variety. Cold cereal, milk, juice, fruit, scrambled eggs. Coffee available 24-7. I highly recommend staying here!
Our hone had carbon monoxide and we needed a room fast abd they gave us a discount due to Our situation. They were great and so helpful! Rooms are clean and very nice.i will recommend this hotel to my friends abd family and will use this hotel when I travel.
I have a lot of choices when I stay overnight in the Sandy/Salt Lake City area. I've tried many of them. Best Western CottonTree Inn is the best. The staff is superb, the property is clean and comfortable!
This is a family friendly property, given the restrictions with COVID breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful, despite all my questions. Checking in and out was quick and easy. We will definitely be back again for a 3rd stay.
Connor & Camron on the front desk was great They we're very friendly & helpful in my stay They went above and beond. I ask for a room I had before and the went above n beyond to get it for mr The maids were very nice. Good job
We had a perfect experience at this hotel. Customer service was not only present but outstanding during these difficult times in the world. I have family nearby but even when this pandemic is over (hopefully soon) I will be making reservations at Best Western Cotton Tree in Sandy when I come back to visit. Thank you BW Cotton Tree Inn for a wonderful stay! T.J. Arizona
Hotel is very nice. I encountered staff on several occasions not wearing masks. Male housekeeping staff - mask around his neck. Another (maybe housekeeping) with no mask. Such a simple thing ... and what is promised on their website. Sorry management doesn't care about staff and guests.
Best night sleep I have had in a few days traveling. Hot breakfast, unusual during covid season. Clean rooms, stayed here a year ago, will stay again if in the area. Abundance of eateries close by, location is just off the highway.
Wow, such a nice place to stay, and dog friendly too, although you wouldn't know it, didn't hear any barking. Emily and Conner were so great to my sister and I. They were both very friendly, approachable and genuine. We never ran into any problems during our stay. We also love how the decor has been updated. During our "COVID" stay, all safety measures were implemented, so we felt comfortable staying here. My sister and I do a yearly trip (with her dog) and will definitely be back, hopefully Emily and Conner will still be there! Awesome time, thank you!
Not much to say except this GM Kristen gets how to run a hotel. People are trained and professional, polite, helpful Hotel is clean, fair prices, location is perfect. Can't really ask for more, Not sure if you're traveling often as I do for work what could be better.
The staff being under COVID VIRUS was very knowledgeable in extra cleaning procedures, keeping the lobby clean, the food service station well maintained and helpful staff always had smiles. Rooms were clean and spacious.
We attended a funeral in the area just as the state opened some businesses after the Covid crisis. The room was exceptionally clean as were all the public areas. Breakfast was a grab and go bag that was more than enough food and good variety. Excellent job!
Kristen and her team were generous, professional and accommodating. I have stayed here many times over the years and there are never any coomunication difficulties, that have become common in the industry. Always a restful and quite stay.
Stayed at the hotel as a base to ski at Alta and Snowbird, which is about a 40 minute drive depending on traffic in the canyon. This hotel is well-used, the breakfast area has limited seating for the number of guests, the choices were limited and not replenished promptly. Would stay here again if other options were unavailable but least my expectations would be low!
My wife and I stayed here for four days. The place is exceptionally well maintained and serviced. The maid staff did an excellent job and Michaela was most friendly and accommodating. Excellent beds and nice clean rooms. This will be our go-to place in Sandy. Prices are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. My only complaint is VERY minor - sheets are a bit rough and easy over or scrabbled eggs for breakfast would be a nice addition. Delightful and attentive staff and everything perfect. Kiddos, as I do not give a lot of five star ratings.
The beds were comfortable, pillow choices nice and comfortable room. Wish they had USB ports in the room!!! remember to bring your plug to charge your devices. Breakfast choices varied each of the five mornings we were there. Nice mix of hot and cold options.
Noisy, Internet Speed unusable. Dogs everywhere and the hotel needs maintenance. Our group started in one room, but lost one night sleep due to noise from a neighboring room. The front desk let us know they knew of the issue and moved us to another room. The 2nd room toilet plumbing continuously ran loudly and the TV remote did not work. We let the front desk know and they sent a maintenance man, but he could not fix the issues. These issues happened in our 1st 24 hours of our 3 day stay. No further attempts were made to help the issues, though we were out of the room most of the time.
We stayed here while skiing in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. A free shuttle was never more than a 10 minute wait. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The breakfast is good- bagels, muffins, waffles, fruit, oatmeal, eggs, English muffins, sausages... The fresh baked cookies every evening are a real bonus. The pool area was clean. The hot tub was nice- Open 24 hours which is very nice. Mall and restaurants (of various price points) within walking distance. Nothing fancy but certainly a more than comfortable stay.
I thinks it's amazing they allow pets. I couldn't imagine leaving my little furbaby home while I'm an hour away from him. I love that the pool is open all night as well makes it nice that you can go relax with your husband in the middle of the night with no kids screaming and splashing.
Stayed at this hotel many times for business- always been a great experience- the only issue I have ever had is parking but even then it was not a huge deal just had to be a little further away than I would have liked.
Me and my fiance stayed here for a 5 night ski trip in January 2020. The staff were extrememly friendly and accommodating! The shuttle was always ready to take you wherever you needed. Housekeeping was great and every aspect of the hotel was very clean. The great surrounding area of Sandy had pleanty of great restaurants and shops. I also feel the continental breakfast that was free of charge every morning was the best complimentary breakfast I'd ever had. Thanks again for the great trip!
From the moment I checked in the staff made sure I knew they were there to make my stay enjoyable. They did just that from the free shuttle service to a local busineess, housekeeping letting me back in my room when I locked my self out & the gentleman who kept the ice full in our conference room. I would stay here again.
Maddy and Kristin were the best front desk staff I've ever encountered. They made us feel at home and couldn't have been more helpful. We extended our stay at the Best Western Cotton Tree by 2 nights because of their great service.
Not the best, but if you need a place to sleep... we were on the 4th floor, and they had a conference booking, which is to be expected at these type of hotels, but not when the conference check-in table blocks the entry for you to bring in your luggage. They had to move tables that conference goers had to sign in at for us to get our luggage to the elevators. Awkward is putting it mildly. When we got our room the first thing we noticed was the curtains were dirty and some damage was shown on the curtains. We were not enthused with our room but we were only staying the night and leaving early. But we both stated we are not coming back. Probably a good place to stay the night if all you are doing is sleeping. Bathroom curtains did make me feel like what else isn't clean or what needs repair while we had stayed there.
Hotel has a great location just off the 15. Rooms are spacious, soaps/shampoo are better then most other hotels. Breakfast was outstanding. Wide variety to accomodate everyone. Coffee was suprising good and with a few different options. Would highly recommend when traveling through the Salt Lake area
Stayed at this hotel in the past and had no issues. Pool was warm enough my toddler/wife got in for a bit. Clean and friendly rooms. Staff was very kind and helpful. Was impressed with size of family suite and kids loved the extra room to spread out. Short stay but will stay here again.
Like any other BW review of mine, you will find this one just as positive. We stayed for 3 nights. Check in was fast, girl at the counter was friendly and nice. Room was spotless and very cozy. Got a 2 queen bed, lots of space. We were here during winter so no swimming but they do have a pool. They served breakfast in the mornings but we didnt have breakfast there. Hair dryer in room, ice machine right next to our room, coffee machine in room. Overall it was quiet and enjoyable. Will always love Best Western!
Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast and so at a good price. Friendly service. This is a five star place for those that don't want to pay for elaborate rooms with mints on your pillow. Just the basics done well. Very family oriented.
Great value for the price. Excellent location right off the freeway and close to a number of attractions. We loved the 24 hour pool an hot tub, and enjoyed the breakfast. This was our second stay at this hotel and we would definitely recommend it!
Have spent a lot of time in Salt Lake City - both business and pleasure. Was introduced to the Cotton Tree Inn via business and was so happy with the hotel, and the hotel personnel that I chose the same hotel when I would go back for trips there other than business.
Great staff! Very clean! Great location! The staff is always helpful when checking in and out and very accommodating when dealing with any issues. The rooms and lobby are always very clean and pleasant. The location is easy access off and onto the freeway as well as to other destinations in the area.
I really loved staying here. It had everything I needed and was walking distance from shopping and restaurants. My room had a lovely view of the mountains. The hotel shuttle took my to and from my conference everyday, and they were very nice. Great place!
This hotel was wonderful. The rooms are very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the decor was great. The pool and hot tub are 24 hours. Very nice. The only thing was the breakfast left something to be desired.
Check in was a breeze. Connor, the young man who checked me in, is very likable and is ready to help. Knew how to get things done. Parking is kind of weird, with the majority of parking on the back of the building. Lobby is nice and clean. Elevators are fast and efficient and clean. Hallways are oddly very hot and over heated, as another review said. Ours was the family suite and it was sort of small compared to other Best Western suites I've stayed in. The "living room" is really just a waste of space and pretty cramped, if the sofa bed were utilized, you wouldn't be able to get past it. the 'kitchen" is more like a wet bar. Maybe I'm a diva, Next time i'll just get a regular room. No microwave in the room but a little fridge. Room was clean and beds were comfortable, pillows fluffy. Once I was in my room, there was zero noise from the halls. I love that the property has normal toiletries since those dispensers in showers are my number one peeve of hotels (see my other reviews) Armando is a great asset to the hotel and was helpful and willing to help. Overall I would stay here again.
Use this hotel quite frequently typicall for person use with my family. The pool is open 24 hours so the kids can come late at night or early in the morning. The only issue with the pool is that if you swim in the morning, you can see the pool from the breakfast room. I like the location and it is very clean. The hotel staff is also really nice.
This was by far the best service I've had at any place to stay, management checked us in she was welcoming and personable I enjoy interacting with pleasant people and studying how they work and do their jobs hospitality is a dying art. That new manager I give her personally a 5 star review, as well as the facility I stayed at she made them a 5 star stay!
The hotel is a nice best western BUT unlike almost every BW that allows pets, they do NOT keep one floor pet free. It is one thing to say pet friendly, however, they should ALSO state their every floor policy because this is not usual. We would not have made the reservation here if we had known, there are a lot of hotels in this area. Also, the chemical smell, either chlorine in the sheets or cleaner from cleaning up after pets was very strong and both my husband and I sneezed a lot when entering the room.
This is by far one of my favorite Best Western hotels I have stayed at. Its in a gorgeous location, the room was perfect, the staff was friendly and helpful! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Utah!
The hotel is close to Texas Roadhouse, interstate 15, mall and gas stations! The hotel itself is very clean and the shower has a lot of pressure which feels wonderful specially after a long day of traveling.
We had a great time at Best Western. Our room was awesome. The staff was great. We also had a great time at the pool. In the morning we all had a great breakfast. They have something for everyone. It was easy to check in and out. We all had a cookie from the front desk before bed.
It had been several years since I last stayed at this Inn. I was pleasantly surprise in how well it has been maintained and modernized. The staff was very efficient and knew what it takes to make a traveler welcomed. The same could be said about the maids. Our room was always well cleaned in a timely manner.
The staff at Cottontree Inn was super. The motel is beautiful. We highly recommend this motel, AND will definitely stay there again. The staff went above and beyond concerning some items that we thought we had lefft in the room, even though we did not connect them until we returned home.
This hotel was clean, quiet, and perfect location to access shopping and the I15 interstate. The staff was polite and on top of things. We will definitely be staying here again. Whoever is running this place, is doing it right.
This hotel was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi. We were able to check in early without a penalty. I do not recommend driving in Salt Lake City as the traffic is horrendous but this is a good place to stop over and get some rest. Quiet neighborhood with nearby restaurants and a mall.
has so much to offer! LOVED the 24 hour pool option! nice staff, clean place, great to access many food and shopping places! Traveled with kids here, the breakfast was good and had lots of options as well.
Stopped in salt lake on the way back from Yellowstone national park and grand Teton national park and lodged at the best western. This property should be the best western, eastern, northern and southern. Convenient location, excellent appearance, exceptional service and amenities, don't miss this gem when in salt lake, thought I was at a Hilton.
This was an ok hotel but the layout of the bathroom was ridiculous. Not well thought out by the designer. The A/C unit was noisy and in need of repair. It was close to shopping and convenient to the interstate.
The staff was excellent with answering questions, stocking the breakfast, and cleaning the rooms. We have stayed here frequently over the years. It is clean and comfortable. The hallways are very warm in the summer. The rooms are well insulated for noise. The a/c is usually good, but one room was noisy and not cool enough. The breakfast has a wide variety of options; he usual donuts and toast, but also a waffle maker, and hot oatmeal with toppings. They have a nice rotation of hot food involving eggs that are well cooked, potatoes and meat. Bacon is in the rotation, but it was offered only 1 day out of the four I stayed. They have whole fruit, boiled eggs, Yoplait yogurt, juice, water tea packets and coffee . The orange juice seemed to be real from concentrate. The work out room had a couple treadmills, a bike and hand weights. The pool was nice with an outdoor relaxing area. The hot tub was fine, but too chemically for my eyes.
First time at this particular Best Western, was very pleased. Easy freeway access, several good restaurants within walking distance. Good oversize vehicle parking lot. walking patch next to small pond and great mountain view. Quiet and away from road noise.
We stayed at this hotel on July 23 2019 and it was the last hotel of our two week family vacation tour of the American west. It was an excellent experience. Very friendly staff at check-in, clean & comfortable rooms, cheery atmosphere, nice pool and a good free breakfast in the morning. My wife seemed to think it had probably been recently remodeled. Very easy access just off I-15. Best Western has really upped their game.
Stayed for 2 nights, short weekend trip, but it was nice, comfortable and clean enough to stay longer and would stay here again. Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and Walking distance to many shops.
The hotel room was not clean, the trash can near our room was over full and wasn't clean. The tv didnt work. Very rude staff..the breakfast was ok but its not an excuse to book this hotel. Very noisy room, near a vending and ice machine.
This is the best Best Western Hotel I have ever stayed at. Just loved everything about it: location, quiet, rooms, cleanliness, etc. The courtesy of the employees was outstanding. Especially loved the balcony of my room!
This hotel is a couple of blocks off of I-15 and has parking in the back for trailers, trucks, anything longer than average, which was extremely helpful as we were towing a trailer. They accept dogs for a fee of $25. There is a grassy area in the back to walk dogs and let them chill outside. Check in and check out were quick. The room was clean and nice. I loved that the towel rack was not over the toilet. No toilet water/germs going onto towels (hopefully). There are gas stations close to the hotel so you don't have to search before getting back onto the Interstate. The one thing I wasn't too impressed with was the breakfast, mainly because the eggs were over-done. If you don't need eggs at breakfast, you'll be fine. They also offered sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, donuts, fruit, waffles and cereal. I enjoyed a waffle, but prefer to have protein at breakfast. I would still stay here again as it allows pets, had great parking, clean/nice rooms, quiet atmosphere.
Everything went great, Front desk staff was attentative and friendly. Room was clean. Air conditioner worked great, Breakfast was above average, Coffee in the lobby was way way above average. Location was perfect and near all major stores and restaurants. This is a property that you should be happy with. Towels also smelled fresh.
We stay here anytime we are up near Sandy! We love the 12 O'clock check out! We love the 24 hour pool. It's always super nice and clean staff is always helpful and friendly. It's also in a great location close to alot of things! We have stayed here a few times and we love it.
Chris at the front desk was the best. This was the best Best Western hotel we had ever visited. I highly recommend this hotel. Great service, very clean, positive and friendly staff. I promise you will enjoy your stay at this hotel. I don't do reviews often, only great service and bad service. This hotel is outstanding.
great hotel, spacious & quiet place and pleasant interior. break fast nook was well cleaned and maintained. rooms were nicely done. surely return if ever get chance to. BW is always my favorite place to stay on vacation trips. didn't use fitness room but looks all equipped.
Very nice staff. We reserved a King size bed, but were given 2 queens. They tried to accommodate us ,but had to put us in a handicapped room. The hotel was clean, but there was something on the headboard that we had to clean off. The breakfast was ok. The grounds and area were very nice. The bed hurt our backs.
My husband and I used to stay at Best Western hotels when we were kids. As adults we had always chosen to not stay at Best Western because we both remembered them being not great as children. But this stay has changed our minds! We were not disappointed in any way during our stay and were very impressed with how nice the hotel was overall. The value for the money was excellent as well. The front desk and house keeping staff was very friendly, the room was clean and well furnished, the breakfast was standard continental but everything was fresh and the host was friendly. The pool/spa and fitness area were perfect as well, very enjoyable. The location was quite nicely situated within walking distance to restaurants and a mall. We will not pass up a Best Western in the future!
A splendid hotel, caring staff and great rooms. My wife and I have been travelling across the west and have found the Best western Brand in general to be of a decent standard. This hotel certainly goes way above our expectations. Great value too
Used this place as a stopover during a long drive to The Grand Tetons. It is situated literally just off the I15 however is well insulated so no road noise. The receptionist was very helpful and provided a list of restaurants together with a map and directions. The rooms are clean and well looked after but the decor is drab, all dar browns and shades on the windows, no curtains!
Quiet, good breakfast, indoor pool & hot tub, close to restaurants, comfortable beds, clean, fresh baked cookies in evening. Helpful staff. Our room had a good size flat screen TV with a number of viewing choices.
Nice people on staff. Tasty welcome cookies. Clean rooms. (they even clean the tv controller). Free breakfast varies daily. I'll share a secret. The secret is how to operate the shower. Completely unintuitive. The knob shows an arrow to push in, but to turn on the shower you have to pull the control knob straight out hard. You wonder if it's going to break, but no, the water turns on.
We love staying at this hotel! The staff is always incredibly friendly. It is clean. The decor is lovely. It has awesome amenities. It is in a great location with many things around it. Anytime we stay in Salt Lake we stay here.
The family and I wanted to get a way for the weekend since the weather wasn't the best for camping decided well why not get a room and enjoy a pool definitely will come back for another weekend get away
Enjoyed our stay here at this BWCTI location in Sandy,Ut. Nice location, nearby stores and mall. We were blessed to stay in a room with a balcony, that was real nice. Clean facility, friendly employees. One thing we wish our room had was a microwave. Will definitely stay there in the near future.
I enjoyed my stay there. Very nice employees, clean hotel, the rooms were very clean and nice. The breakfast was good, I would stay there again given the chance. Thank you for making my stay nice. Nice to know your there if I need it again.
We stay there so our grandkids can swim. Usually very quiet and family oriented. Love the easy checkin/out. Breakfast is always warm and has variety. And they even got us an extra blanket for my mother who wasnt feeling well within 5 minutes of asking for it.
One of the things I like most about Best Western is there Pillows!! There beds are quite comfortable too. Staff at this particular hotel were great! Willing to help with everything we needed. They were very pleasant. Which is hard to find these days. Definitely would stay here again!
We booked this hotel because it was a Best Western and it was 4 miles from a wedding (venue) that we traveled 1,000 miles to attend. Front desk staff was great, informative and had toothpaste samples for those kind of people who forgot theirs ... hmmmm. Room was clean, bright and our window faced the beautiful mountains. Never waited for the elevators and halls were bright and wide. Continental breakfast was great with sausage, eggs, French toast sticks, waffles, various cereals, juices, yogurt and toasts and bagels. Great pool with hot tub and had several room key access entrances to access the parking lot. Room 333
Enjoyed our stay. It is easy to get to from the I15. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast options. We did not use the pool or hot tub but it looked very clean and many guests were enjoying the facility.
We stayed here one night passing through Utah. The facility is fairly new, well appointed, comfortable rooms, helpful staff. The beds were excellent, would stay here again. We left early so we didn't try the breakfast food.
The staff was excellent, the hotel was doing remodeling but was still good. The only draw back is the difficulty getting there from the east, hard to cross traffic without a traffic light. Breakfast was good. Real nice and close to downtown SLC
Stayed with my family - including 2 kids - on 2 separate nights. The rooms were nice and large, but lacking a microwave. The breakfast had a lot to offer and included hot food. The pool that is open 24 hours was great! The kids loved that. It was easy to drive to. On of of our stays we were offered some snacks/chips and bottled water on check in. On the other stay we weren't. Something to inquire about if you aren't offered any.
Came down for a Boys trip to the Jazz game and then conference. Perfect location as it is only 10 mins from downtown Salt Lake. Easy access off of freeway and close to a ton of amenities. Highly recommended place to stay.
We spent 4 nights here while skiing locally. The rooms are clean, good beds and bedding, great water pressure in the shower. The staff was friendly and open to meeting requests like a second luggage rack in the room. Great breakfast. Will definitely return!
We went there for a quick nights stay between 2 conference meetings. It was quiet, clean (exceptionally) the linens were nice, check-in staff was really great. Breakfast was better than usual budget hotel breakfast with fresh fruit to add to real (not instant) oatmeal, and pasteries.
The Cotton Tree Inn, Best Western in Sandy, Utah is perfectly located at the heart of the shopping district. Next door to a Wendy's franchise and directly across the highway to a huge mall. I found the hotel to be secure and serene, and very comfortable. As well as a knowledgeable staff.
I have stayed here several times and I am never disappointed. I take advantage of all the extras, from a welcome bag with snacks, to hot cookies in the lobby after a long day. I ate breakfast in the lobby and while the offerings are fairly standard, eggs, sausage, bacon, pastries, cereals, the hot food seemed exceptional, better warmers to keep it hotter , maybe? Either way, delicious lobby food. My room was comfortable, bathroom seemed a little oversized for this level hotel which is great , because as far as I am concerned the bigger the better (not a 5 star level but then this is not marketed as a 5 star). Staying in Sandy but got to see snowcapped mountains from the room. Physically within walking distance to restaurants and Mall is across the street if you need a walk or an item. Jordan River Walk is about 5 minutes away and is a nice unlimited (I'm guessing, I did at least 3 miles). Riverwalk for exercise or de-stressing. All in all a great room , location, service for the budget friendly price. I think I heard them note that the pool and hot tub are open 24 hours, which is great for us late night people and great for a dip at the end of a long business day (or any long day for that matter). All the front desk people were helpful, they provided restaurant recommendations, directions to the park for a walk and were readily available, polite and seemed happy to help (not always the case at some hotels but definitely the case here)
Excellent hotel to stay at in the Sandy area for easy access to Snowbird/Alta, complimentary breakfast available, hot tub and swimming pool. Rooms are very clean and modern, plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel shuttle will take you to Sandy station to catch ski bus
Best sleep experience hotel- quiet and clean rooms, pillows, blankets and mattress in excellent shape. Air temperature controls easy to use. Parking close by and so many other excellent amenities. Many Thanks!
Stayed for three nights and highly enjoyed it and the staff. Only disappointing part was the pool was ice cold. Breakfast was good and staff was on it and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and minus not getting to swim with the baby it was great.
Excellent service altogether. I generally stay for business, but many families use it as well. Staff is very cordial and helpful. I have never encountered major problems during my stays. I gladly recommend it.
An outstanding experience with a short story. While leaving Snowbasin for the drive to Sandy, we found out that our on-line reservation was not sent to the Cottontree Inn. Upon arrival after many telephone calls and conversations with the manager, we were upgraded to a lovely King Suite. A wonderful upgrade for our ski vacation. We had lots of room to spread out our ski gear. The staff are super polite and gracious. The staff attentiveness was on par with many 5 star hotels. Our compliments to the hotel manager. We will definitely return.
I really enjoyed the friendly staff they were very helpful and made me feel very welcome. The room was clean and very quiet. I did not eat breakfast but it must have been very good because there were a lot of people enjoying themselves.
I stay at the location weekly. All rooms are spotless and the staff are truly caring and kind. They attend to every need. It is great to travel and still feel at home! I can not recommend this hotel more! It is in a great location...close to shopping and great restaurants.
We had issues with the tub faucet and the employees just told us to pull harder on the knob. My husband had to turn the shower on for me. The lighting was poor, The room was not serviced. When we called for towels we waited 3 hours before going to get our own. The eggs were rubbery. The shower was warm. The outside of the building was full of garbage
When I travel to Salt Lake City for business, I always stay at this hotel. The staff, rooms, and facilities are great. I would recommend this to anyoen traveling into the Salt Lake City area. They also have passes available and shuttle available to the Alta Skis Pass.
My wife and I and are kids stayed at this hotel on the weekend of Feb 16th and the weekend of Feb 22nd-24th. Checking in that Friday we had no issues. Later that night around 11pm we came back from swimming and could not get into our room. We called the front desk and the girl said she would call maintenance. We had to continue to call her cause she did not follow through with are issue and never came to the room. She said after midnight it was to late to bother the maintenance guy. She gave us a tool that did not help us get in. Every time we went down to the front desk we had to ring the bell 3-4 times before she came from behind the wall. We never got into our room that night so we slept in our other room on the floor. The following morning we finally got into the room around 7am. My wife spoke to the manager that morning and they comp'd 1 night for the stay. On Sunday at checkout I asked josh for a late check out and he said with 2 rooms he couldn't help me cause he had to many requests. As a platinum member at this point I was not happy, we are regulars and have stayed alot over the years. So at checkout we asked Angelo first if they could contact our credit card company to give a code to release our hold which the girls did for me on Friday cause we had a hold from the 16th when me and my wife stayed that hadn't released yet. So josh stepped in and said you guys can't do that and Emily wasn't supposed to do it for us on Friday which helped us so much by the way. I told josh that it's good customer service to help us with the call and he said “he has more imports things to do” and I was shocked. He corrected me and interrupted me and Angelo's conversation and was very rude. Me and my wife should not of been treated this way and at my wife's property In Wyoming this kind of behavior is unacceptable. If you have any questions please feel free to call me. Lastly, I hope josh understands it's the small things that can keep a customer coming back regardless of my wifes an employee of BW and that we are customers first and platinum members. Thank you
The people here are always helpful and nice, the rooms are wonderful and clean, we have never had problems. The breakfast is also really good with a wide variety. We go for a scrapbook retreat a couple times a year and it is well worth it!
This was my fourth stay at thus hotel in Sandy, Utah. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is really good with hot savory selections like potatoes, eggs and sausages and waffles, donuts and cereal for your sweet tooth. Located next to a mall with good shopping and restaurants. Easy access to highway.
Angie and her team always go out of their way to make our visit pleasant. We have been doing this since my children were small and I now have grandchildren. Every year it is part of the tradition to stay at Cottontree Inn!
Ordinary hotel. Ordinary rooms. Nothing that stands out. But in some ways, no surprises is good. TripAdvisor wants me to write a minimum of 200 characters, so I'll add this: They have Fox News playing 24x7 in the breakfast area. Did NOT make me a happy camper.
Stayed here 1 night on a ski trip recently. Overall location is great. Right off 15 fwy on exit 10600, with a mall and many restaurants nearby, and a Costco just a minute south. It's also 25-30min easy drive to Alta/Snowbird (if no snow storm) which was great. Hotel looks fairly new, but they were doing construction/remodeling of the front lobby when we were there. Check-in was simple. Room was nice. Only thing was no microwave; we really prefer microwave in the room. Indoor pool was good, my son spent some time there. Breakfast was good with eggs and bacon and waffle and other cold items. All in all, it was a good hotel for the price and I wouldn't mind staying again if I was coming here.
Outstanding location for our annual ski trip. We are able to get up the mountain within 30 minutes and also have many restaurant selections for our evenings. Clean, welcoming hotel. Additionally I am impressed with the employee tenure. Many of the employees have worked at the hotel for many years.
Firstly, service is very good. rooms clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was the WORST..rubber eggs..coffee ran out..eventually replaced..breakfast potatoes virtually empty.. Specialty coffees also gone? Had cereal.. NOTE hotel is revamping its front reception area..however, does not affect the breakfast other than location.
Priced right, breakfast included, great staff, great on and off the freeway convenience, location with gas stations nearby, shopping mall, Costco and any thing else you'll need. The pool is warm the workout area clean and my favorite was the availability of a washer and dryer which I used twice since I was there for 10 days. Also stayed there 4 months ago for a week. Construction to their front lobby area is underway but it's no big deal.
Stopped in here for just a single night with family. Pool being open 24 hours was great, as well as the noon checkout. Breakfast had lots of options, will stay again. The price was great and the staff was friendly.
In spite of a little remodeling going on, the staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, helping in anyway they could before they were even asked sometimes. Just a puzzled look on your face set them into action to point you in the right direction. Great team! Will stay there again when we visit family in the area!
When it comes to hotel stays I look for a convenient location, decent bed, working AC, and breakfast. By far, the bed at this location is better than any hotel bed I've ever used. The ONLY issue I had was there was no bacon at breakfast. I highly recommend this location if you're traveling through SLC .. just BYOB (bring your own bacon). ** After posting this review on google, the owner responded. They do in fact have bacon on Tue/Fri. **
All of the staff is friendly and willing to help you in any way that they can. Although the hotel is close to the freeway it is quiet. There are restaurants, connivence stores, shopping very close by. There are areas to go walking. Very nice establishment- I would recommend it to everyone. I try to stay here every time I need to stay in Salt Lake.
I live in Salt Lake but stay at this hotel to watch my University of Utah Utes football games when they are on the PAC12 Network. My wife and I now stay here if we just want a night away from our millennial child who will not move out. This hotel is extremely clean with very comfortable beds. It is managed extremely well I stay in hotels about 14 nights a month for work in 13 western states and I wish every hotel I stayed was managed like this hotel is. As I mentioned, it is very clean and I am a clean freak, this hotel more than passes my cleanliness test with amazing beds and a very, very good breakfast. It has a beautiful view of the Wasatch Mountains to the east with a great pool and hot tub. Great restaurants within walking distance. I cant say enough good about this property and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Salt Lake valley.
We stayed here one night after an 8 hr drive and it was superb. Very comfortable and quiet. Lovely check in staff, the shower was the BEST shower in a hotel I've ever had. Rooms were clean and modern with everything you need. The hotel is really well located with lots of food and shopping options very near by. Would definitely stay here again.
I arrived at 9pm after a 14 hour drive from Seattle. The desk clerk realized how tired I was and was very helpful and went out of his way to find a room that would work for me and my family. Then when we got to our room I was very impressed with how comfortable everything was. Everything and everyone met or exceeded my expectations.
This is a great place to stay. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Quiet between rooms. We thought the breakfast had a good variety for a quick breakfast. Staff at front desk smiled and said hi everytime I would walk by desk to get to our room.
Best western cottonwoodAlways feels like home, bed is wonderful, breakfast in the morning is so convenient, will continue to stay here on my return trips. Close to multiple restaurant choices, easy on and off the freeway.
Stopped here to break up a late night drive from salt lake to Montana. Arrived late and the front staff were chipper and pleasant. Clean room and bathroom. Good selection for breakfast as well. Would for sure stay here again.
We were visiting the Salt Lake City area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was way better than I was expecting. Great location just off Interstate. Would definitely stay here again. Would recommend if in the area.
Fairly standard hotel in the Best Western chain. Rooms are clean and large. Breakfast is standard hotel fare. Staff was welcoming and polite. Not sure what the problem has been, but they placed a $50.00 additional charge on our credit card until we checked out. The additional charge stayed on our balance for three days.
Recently I stayed at the Best Western Cottonwood Inn in Sandy, UT. This was my 2nd stay at this hotel and it was just as wonderful as my first. The hotel has a very attractive exterior and the rooms are very nice. Everything in our room worked perfectly and the staff at this property were some of the most caring and courteous I have encountered anywhere. This was the case on both my stays at this hotel In addition the location of the hotel is great as it is convenient to most anything you could require. And there are numerous good restaurants within walking distance.
When I checked in at night, this seems an out of place location. Room was clean and mattress was firm. Nice quiet location. Breakfast was nothing to cry about. In the morning however when I came out to explore, I was surprised that there were a number of nice joints around including a Wendy's, a pork belly sandwich place and a Bloomingdale store plus some other shops. I would deem this a decent enough place to layover if you are coming in late at night or leaving early in the morning from/to the airport.
We are in the process of moving and our house is empty; we've been sleeping in our RV. It was very nice to take a break and stay in a nice, comfortable bed, use the 24-hour pool, gym, and have a good breakfast made for us in the morning. The hotel is beautiful and is surrounded by beautiful trees that almost made if feel like we were up in the mountains.
We were here for one night, but had a huge suite! There was a couch, table and chair in the TV area, plus another chair, desk w/chair and tv in the bedroom area. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sandy!
The best western cottontree sandy is clean friendly and fast service the are very welcoming. I stay there for business and personal I have my family stay there when they need a motel for travel they go to the soccer games and stay there it's close and fun
This is a nice property. Very comfortable beds, large TV and a spacious room. The indoor pool and spa are excellent and make this Hotel worth picking for that alone if you have kids. The breakfast is quite good but the waffles have been replaced with a pancake machine which is not as good.
We just stayed on night while passing though the area, the hotel is clean, comfortable and has a very good breakfast in the morning. It was easy to get to from the Interstate, but was a bit of a drive to the downtown area. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just something to keep in mind. Also the parking lot easily accommodates full size trucks and vans without difficulty which is nice.
The Best Western Plus Cottontree Inn in Sandy Utah was a wonderful place to stay. Bed was comfortable, wireless internet, laundry on site, it has exercise room which we didn't use, but I should have. We was easy to get to and staff was very helpful, kind and they seemed happy to be there.
We rented 4-rooms for three nights. The service was second to none. The people and services were probably the best we've EVER experienced. Thanks again to all the staff for making our stay memorable and pleasant. They went out of their way to ensure our loyalty and comfort. Thanks tons!
Great personal, at desk very helpful, could not be more satisfactory. Everything was just perfect. Had recycling which is good for the planet. The breakfast was well presented and cooled to excellence.
My dad has been an avid member of Best Western for over 5 years. We've never had a problem with them until three weeks ago. Our family went on a trip to Utah for a national competition for taekwondo. We booked a room at Best Western Plus Cottontree Inn in Salt Lake City, Utah. We were happy with our stay the first night but the happiness didn't last very long. On the day of the competition, we left very early in the morning and arrived to our hotel room at about 2 pm. When we went inside, the whole room was not cleaned all the towels were on the floor, and most horrifying of all, some of our belongings were stolen. The things that were stolen were a whole box of cup noodles, a whole water crate, and food and other beverages from our fridge. They also took the tip that we left for the housekeeper. I know that the things that were stolen aren't that valuable, but the fact that someone came into our room nonetheless is extremely disturbing. We called the front desk and the person that picked up the phone came and didn't really try to help. We told her that we were a little suspicious of the housekeeper because she is the only one with access to our room, and before we left, I made sure that our door was locked, shaking the handle several times. The housekeeper came to our room and told us that there was a "do not disturb" sign on our door. The night we checked in, my dad threw the "do not disturb" sign in the trash can because we never use it. At this point, we were even more suspicious of the housekeeper. We told all of this to the lady who came down and she asked me for my contact information so the "head" or "manager" could give us a call THE NEXT DAY. We immediately cancelled our room reservation for that night and left. It has already been three weeks and we are still waiting for that call. This was the most ridiculous hotel experience I've ever had to deal with.
Great location, right off the freeway. Nice amenities – gym and indoor heated pool. Used both. Were here for an overnight. Room was nice and clean. No complaints. All staff very friendly. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 – the breakfast (included) was basically inedible. The oatmeal was watery and undercooked. Did have a banana, orange, and apple. The hot food – forget it. Found a restaurant on the road and ate there.
So happy to have stayed here. It was close to everything we needed and surrounded by good places to eat. Nice fitness room with working equipment and a pretty view of the apricot trees across the road. Good coffee and breakfast was delicious but not quite as hot as I like. Mid afternoon cookies were a nice treat too. The staff couldn't have been nicer. All around, a decent 3 night stay.
This was my second stay at this property, I was just add phases this time as last. They change breakfast items a bit each morning so it's not the same everyday. The room and common areas were very clean. The in room internet leaves a bit to be desired, but I rarely use it anyway so it was really not an issue, good 4G service in the area. Very nice pool and hot tub, with a nice patio area attached. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
This hotel and it's staff are amazing. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salt Lake. I have stayed at this motel for multiple nights over the past 10 years and it's always been a great experience. If you're looking for a nice hot breakfast and super clean rooms, with an amazingly friendly and accommodating staff, this is your place to stay.
Our family spent two nights in room 433. It was a nice quiet room at the end of a hall with a view of the beautiful mountains. It's an older hotel but it's been updated so the beds were comfortable and the decor was more modern. The room was a nice size (we used a rollaway bed and it didn't feel cramped). I didn't eat breakfast but my kids said it's the best they've ever had at a hotel. They must rotate some items because the "best bacon ever" was only available one day (the next day it was sausage). They also had cold cereal, bagels, donuts, yogurt, eggs, hashbrowns, etc. The pool was a nice size and the water was warm. It also has a hot tub. The hotel is in a fabulous location. There are several restaurants within walking distance but many more options if you want to drive. It's near the freeway, a mall, the Expo Center, Scheel's, movie theaters, gas stations, car dealerships, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
The people there are very nice and the breakfast is great. The rooms are clean and great for a hotel. The only thing is that you can hear the people above you a little to much. Otherwise I would highly recommend it. There is a great outdoor mall right beside it to.
This hotel is located with plenty to do within 5 miles Go karts, top golf, bowling and movies. Also easy access to highway for skiing and mountain access as well as passing thru. I will stay here again in the future.
My husband and I traveled to Utah to visit the national and state parks in the Moab area. We flew into and out of Salt Lake City and stayed at the Best Western Cottontree Inn the day we arrived and the night before we left. We found the accommodations clean, modern, and visually attractive. The folks at the front desk were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We especially appreciated the advice and information about how to use the Rapid Transit system that took us to downtown Salt Lake City. We even had a hotel shuttle take us to the station and pick us up when we returned. We would highly recommend this hotel and the "new" Best Western (BW) brand to any travelers wanting upscale accommodations at affordable and fair prices.
After a long day of driving we always look for a hotel close to the Interstate with restaurants and gas stations close by. Best Western has proven to be a good choice consistently for us, so we stopped for the first time at the Cottontree Inn. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, even taking the time to go through our BW reward points to get the best deal for this stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and the area was quiet for the night. The hot breakfast was a great way to prepare for the next day of driving. We will definitely stay at this hotel on future trips.
Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. The Indoor swimming pool was awesome for swimming on a cold day! The pool area was well maintained and very clean. We had lots of fun at the pool. The location was nice and close to the convention center which is why we were staying in the salt lake area. It was close to a lot of good restaurants also!
This hotel was the best on our entire one month trip! Great accommodations for a very reasonable price. Comfortable bed, quiet environment and super clean! I had the best night's sleep of the trip! Breakfast was an added bonus.
For years our girls lacrosse team and their parents have been staying here for a local lacrosse tournament. The hotel is in close proximity to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are clean and the team at Best Western Plus Cottontree Inn never disappoints!
Stayed here during a dog competition. The guy manning the front desk when I checked in was extremely rude, didn't tell me where my room was and acted annnoyed when I asked. The young lady at the front desk when I checked out was extremely nice and helpful
Great staff, nice hotel in an awesome location. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family. Thank you for the great service, the nice rooms and the yummy breakfast! See you next time.
Great customer service.I clean houses for a living so I am very picky about cleanliness. our room was VERY CLEAN and modern. we enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. We could only stay about 6 hours because we were passing thru town so they only charged us for a half day.
We stayed for three days and thoroughly loved our stay. The rooms and facilities were perfect but the staff made the difference. The people are courteous beyond description; the BEST we've ever experienced.
Nice, clean hotel. Convenient to Noah's Event Center. Hot breakfast included fried eggs, sausage, and nice looking pastries. Hotel even had a guest laundry. Rooms could have used brighter lighting, but this lack in common in this type of hotel.
Referred to this Hotel by Skypark Air Terminal FBO at KBTF...corporate rate provided. Hotel is 5 minutes from airport and restaurants are close. Room is spacious with a couch and King Bed. Well maintained and clean. Building is laid out in two story Motel concept and parking all around. Simple breakfast buffet included (some hot food) About 20-30 minute drive to down town Salt Lake.
I had stayed at this hotel on a previous business trip. There were some problems with the room, which I stated in the review they sent me after my stay. I was contacted by the General Manager via private email after the review and she offered to comp my room the next time I was in town and told me to contact her directly. I did this the next time I was going to be in town and she set up the room. When we got there everything was very nice. They renewed my faith in their facility and I am a very satisfied customer. This is true Customer Service!
Location off interstate 15 was easy to get to. There was a shopping center and Places to eat within minutes of the hotel. We chose the location as we were traveling south and morning traffic was not an issue during morning rust.Service Cleanliness And Location Are standard for this location
We have stayed at this motel twice in the last few months. Both stays have been pleasant. The staff has been accommodating. But the best part is that the rooms have been very clean! For me if the room is clean I just feel more comfortable during my stay. We were dividing our time between Salt Lake and the Lehi area and so this location just really fit our purpose.
This was our second stay this year at the Cotton Tree Inn in Sandy. It is very clean and the employees are professional and friendly. The breakfast is hot and plenty with a large area for seating. It feels like more of a RESORT stay for us!
My family and I enjoyed our stay. Clean, updated rooms. The staff was professional and friendly. We have stayed here a few times and never had any big complaints. The pool gets busy but was open 24h, which gives adults a chance to relax later when kids have gone to sleep. We will stay again.
Everything about this hotel was superb from the front desk to the breakfast crew. There was a problem getting our initially assigned room as the elevator was taken down for maintenance. The front desk quickly located us a room right next to the elevator and then moved in. No elevator noise and just steps from the breakfast alcove. Well done.
Great place just like most Best Western. The room was great and the service was great, pool was fun and warm the breakfast was great for a motel breakfast. Plenty of parking, and close to the mall, I WILL stay here again.
This hotel is well run managed and staffed. Has a great location convenient to shopping and restaurants. Of course it's very convenient 2 Highway 15 north and south and have good access to get the East and West access there also.
Our stay was comfortable & the location was good for walking to restaurants, the Mall & our exit to the interstate. Hotel had good fresh cookies when we arrived at 6:00 pm, Evening front desk young man was pleasant and helpful with using our promotion for our Free Night.
My boyfriend and I came to visit Utah and stayed at Best Westen plus and right from check in everyone was very professional. The hotel is super clean and hospitality was on it and always cleaned our room and Bathroom and gave us plenty of towels . We received a complimentary breakfast every morning . Complimentary coffee all day . We bought food for the room and did not have a toaster for the bread , however we were offered the toaster from downstairs to make our sandwiches so that was very nice ! The front desk made fresh baked cookies for the guests every day which is very sweet to do and offer us ! All an all we had an amazing experience... oh and we had free shuttle service anytime we needed it within a 5 mile radius :) . Thank you to the staff for your amazing hospitality !! We will definitely stay here again .
The hotel even had ice scrapper for my frosted over jeep windows. Awesome. Was not expecting that but was a wonderful surprise to a cool crisp morning. They think of everything, even for those of us who are used to clean windows from parking in a garage. Thanks again.
We would stay there again for sure. Very nice staff and the rooms were nice. Breakfast was good and the HOT TUB late at night was super fun, most hotel close theirs at 10:00 pm. We had an event and after the event we were able to relax with friends.
Hotel was just what we needed for our stay in the area. Close to several restaurants. Easy access to interstate. Hotel was quiet, and breakfast offered an assortment of offerings. While we did not use pool or hot tub, it appeared to be very clean!
Great service, comfort and price. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. The rooms are always clean. Breakfast is similar to a buffet. A home away from home. We will definitely stay here again!
We stayed here one night. The room was comfortable. Everything was clean. We didn't use the pool or fitness room but we were told they are open 24 hours. We ate breakfast the next morning with family so did not eat at the hotel, however I did check out what they had and there were scrambled eggs, sausage links and potatoes, yogurt, waffles, toast, muffins, coffee and juice, everything looked fresh and smelled amazing.
This is the only hotel we stay at now. No matter what plans we have, or where we need to be, we will travel back to Cottontree Best Western!! The staff is professional, courteous, and very friendly...
Hotel is consistently a great option when needing a room in SLC, both for business and leisure. Good price point for the quality. Facilities are always clean and staff has always been friendly and accommodating.
From check in to check out my stay was amazing! Hotel staff was extremely accomodating from the front desk, to cleaning personnel, to the breakfast crew. The property was clean, comfortable and impressive. The "continental breakfast" exceeded my expectations with hot options, yogurt and oatmeal bars, fruit and pastries.
I would love to recommend this hotel, you will find clean comfortable beds and rooms. The breakfast is excellent although the coffee could use a bit of improvement. The fitness room and pool are beautiful. I felt safe, which is important when I travel alone and the location is convenient to nearly anything you'd want to do in Salt Lake City or the ski areas.
clean and excellent price, polite knowledgable staff, great location, would stay again, pool has an excessive amount of chlorine-broke out in a rash and had to use rescue inhaler jkhlkjhvliuglvutuykrcthextrwyrs
I continue to highly rate the Best Western Cotton Tree Inn and thus is the case with my recent stay. I highly recommend lthis hotel to all. who are looking for a home away from home. I always look forward to staying at the BW Cotton Tree Inn.
My choice for hotels for my monthly meetings is this Best Western Cotton Tree Inn. Its close proximity to the freeway entrance is a must for me. When I stay in Salt Lake for pleasure I prefer this hotel as well. The breakfast is great and the coffee delicious. I had waffles with strawberries and creme this time and it was great. I had a $20 breakfast for free.
Very pleasant experience. Hotel was up to date and clean. 24 hr pool and fitness center. Hot continental breakfast was fairly standard for similar hotels. Clean room and friendly staff. Well lit parking lot.
Stayed at this BW en route to Phoenix. Location was very good. Front desk staff were great. I was looking forward to the 24 hour pool/spa after a long day on road. Pool was COLD (69 degrees). Hot tub was WARM (100 degrees). (Casio Rangeman has Temp sensor). Breakfast items were good.
Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Northern Utah area! The appearance was great and the staffing went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as can be! The breakfast the next morning wasn't just your average bagels and toast. They has biscuits and gravy and cereal and eggs and waffles and oatmeal! So many different options and it all tasted amazing! Their pool area is open 24 hours which was perfect after driving through the night, then I was able to sit and relax in the jacuzzi. The room was kept up very well and everything was very clean.
This is a nice hotel off the freeway far enough to be quiet, but easily accessible and close to major event centers like the South Towne Expo Center and Rio Tinto Stadium. Room was nice but refrigerator needs to be fixed as it made loud noise all night. Otherwise all OK!
I could not be happier with my stay here. The hotel is clean, attractive and comfortable. In-room internet was both fast and solid. Very nice spread for breakfast. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Highly recommended!
This location was good for my wife and I to get in and out of the city. We didn't mind the short drive because of the good value and overall service I've always enjoyed with the Best Western. I would definitely stay here again.
Easy travel access to family in the area. Lots of eating and shopping choices nearby. Space for tow trailer parking in back. Clean, but cold, pool. Nice room and comfortable bed. Met allergy needs of pet-free and smoking-free.
My company stayed here for the Salt Lake Snowmobile show. It was close to our venue & they gave us a very competitive rate with comp rooms. Good breakfast. Pool & fitness center right next to breakfast so you can keep track of kids & such. Our room smelled a little wierd, but the beds were very comfy. also nice to have 2 tv's in the hotel room so the little ones could watch cartoons & we could be in the other room talking or watching something else.
I been coming to sandy Utah for business for the last 10 years and I've only stayed at another property 3 times only because they were booked, the employees are great always willing to help and the location is close to everything I won't be changing anything anytime soon..
We always stay Best Western. The value cannot be beat and the rooms are luxurious and clean. This Sandy Utah hotel was no exception. Friendly staff made my stay extra comfortable. I was having a surgical procedure done and wasn't able to drive home same day. I requested a quiet room and they placed me on the top floor in the corner. It was HEAVENLY! Exactly what I needed! Will only stay BE from here on out!
The stay was excellent!!! The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and had a modern style. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a good night stay away from home whether it's business or leisure.
I had 3 guest from China stay at this Hotel. It is newly remodeled and very nice. The staff were very helpful in getting them registered and with room arrangements. they were there for 2 nights. It is convenient for me to rendezvous my guests as I live in the South Valley area. It is just off of the 10600 south off ramp to the east side.
I recently switched from Holiday Inn branded properties to Best Western due to concerns over the rewards program and so far I am very happy. The Sandy Cottontree Inn is proof of this as the rooms were awesome, the staff great, and the breakfast great as well.
This was a quick stop on our way to Montana. The hotel was very easy to get to. A clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable place to stay. Located in an area with several good restaurants, shops and a movie theater.
I have stayed at this hotel several times. The front office staff are always cheerful and helpful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. I've tried a couple of other hotels in the area but this one suits my needs the best.
I was very pleased with how nicely this hotel has been remodeled. It was very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. When I checked in I felt that they wanted to ensure that I had a good experience. Having the pool and fitness center open 24 hours is a nice convenience. This hotel is located near many nice places to eat that are within walking distance. It is located just off a busy road, but not so close that you hear traffic all night. I would stay here again.
Very pleasurable to stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and lobby was clean, hallways were clean, elevator was clean. As I walked into the too. The first thing I noticed was the aroma of vanilla and flowers. Followed by what I saw which was a very clean room and bathroom. It was great!
An awesome hotel surrounded by a beautiful valley and view of the mountains. Restaurants of all kinds are close by. A great mall Within walking distance and even a Costco close enough to walk to ! Great staff and all you cold ask for.
We stayed one night in Sandy at this Best Western during a trip to Texas for a family emergency. I try to stay at Best Westerns whenever possible, as they are often of excellent quality. But I always check TripAdvisor first, and reviews suggest this is a very good BW. The hotel itself is definitely of excellent quality and the staff is very friendly and responsive. We liked our room and it was very clean. Housekeeping seemed to do an excellent job. However, we have one MAJOR CAVEAT to share: Parking lot security ad noise. We stayed at this BW on a weekend night. As the hotel seemed very full, I was unable to park my vehicle within sight of my room window, which I always try to do. The parking lot was well-lighted, except for the rear area that our room overlooked, so I was OK with the side spot I found under a light. The hotel lot borders a very busy commercial/retail area, which while convenient for shopping, creates a lot of vehicle and pedestrian traffic. As I parked my vehicle at dusk, a young man who was clearly under the influence of something other than happiness came stumbling through the hotel parking lot. He said some unintelligible things to me as I walked my dogs, but kept going. A few minutes later, an open-top, beat-up Jeep filled with various junk and overstuffed trash bags slowly moved out of a neighboring parking lot and into the hotel's, lights off. The guy driving was a bit rough. He avoided me and slowly cruised the parking lot, eventually pulling into one of the few open spots. Not sure of his business there, but it seemed very odd. It was too dark to see where he went, but the Jeep remained parked in the hotel lot for several hours but ended up next to the hotel overnight, the man asleep in the vehicle. Our biggest problem, however, occurred overnight, when we were awakened around midnight by teens partying in the dark rear corner of the hotel lot outside our room's window. They were drinking something in cans, although I could not tell what. I had left the room window open for fresh air until then, but they were too loud and I closed it. I was glad my car wasn't right there, but I assumed other guests' vehicles were being used by the kids for cover. I was able to close the window and go back to sleep, but it bothered me that hotel security cameras had not provided a way for hotel staff to be alerted to this security issue and call local police. No harm came to any cars that I could see -- just noise and mess. I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning, and the woman on duty was very understanding and apologized. It's a concern the hotel should address, and its location in the busy shopping corridor is enough to keep me from using this hotel again, sadly, as it is a very nice property.
Came for a wedding and this was where everyone stayed. It was near good restaurants and shopping and near the event site. It was all of that! There were issues; However, Gabby and Josiah were amazing and they took care of the issues. Thank you so much!
Love the shuttle to the stadium and the room was clean and ready on time. Staff was great. Shuttle driver was very good. In my on-line reservation I asked for a 1st floor room and they put me on the 1st floor. Very nice. Breakfast is so-so.
Could hear every bit of movement in the hallway, like we had no door to our room. We were up half the night, due to the noise level. We did not complain, as it wasn't the staff's fault. In fact, the staff was extremely gracious and friendly, through the entire weekend. The rooms are spacious and clean. My recommendation is to replace the doors with higher quality, insulated quality, and it'd surely eliviate much of the noise issue.
Stayed at the Best Western south Sandy CottonTree Inn. It's a very nice hotel that we had driven by many, many times on Auto Mall Drive on the way to Costco. Very convenient location. The breakfast left a little to be desired – especially for a Best Western Plus. Please more attention to detail. Drain that bacon! The room was in very good order. I would stay here again. They handle a lot of volume here, as they have 4 floors, and they do it quite well.
This establishment is well run, clean and I will definitely be back next time I am in this area. I expect to be back in November. The breakfast could use more heart healthy items but what the hey- I didn't have to cook or do the dishes!
Very Clean, bright and welcoming staff. The breakfast was warm and inviting. I asked for a cold water and one was provided immediately. Would like to stay at this location again. The room was very comfortable.
Would have probably given a 5 star for value, but we were put in a pet friendly wing after requesting the reverse. Must say that management compensated, but my honey did sneeze the night away. Limited elevator access to some rooms. Would stay there again and that's the bottom line. Shuttle to the airport was a bonus.
Used the hotel after a flight from London for one night, clean large rooms, helpful staff, breakfast is surprisingly good. We took he hire car into SLC in the evening which was only a few miles and parked in the shopping Mall free for 2 hours where he is a Macy food court and you easy walk the Mormon HQ Left early next morning for Antelope Island just North of SLC
Stayed at the Cottontree inn while passing through. Room was very comfortable, quiet and about average prices for the surrounding area. Check in was quick and easy. Parking wasn't a problem and location was good. The only issue was construction off of the exit of I-15, so getting to the hotel took a few minutes longer then expected.
We stayed for three nights as part of a hiking trip. It is easy to find as there are busy roads on either side, and is a nice looking property. For us, it was a great location for hiking in the Cottonwood Canyons. The room as comfortable for two people and rather clean. The breakfast is fine but don't be fooled by the 6:00am start time. For us, it was always later and a regular said it often was 6:20am. So we were ready to hike and a number of people were ready to go to their construction jobs and sat and waited. The hotel also has room door that will shake you when others slam them (as well as the toilets), and as the pool is a 24 pool, count on loud kids about 11:30pm coming back to the rooms. The staff is fine, if not disinterested in looking up. All things considered it need some improvements.
We had a room with a balcony in the back, absolutely love this property! It was close to our venue and the staff is very helpful. Plan to return when in the neighborhood again! Very welcoming check in staff. The shuttle service is a very nice amenity.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the CottonTree Inn. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and the staff were excellent. The rooms were high quality and very clean. We definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
We really enjoyed our visit to your hotel. Nice location everything in walking distance. My husband came there for two weddings . We have never been disappointed in Best Western there accommodations are always top level thank you again.
My wife and I stayed here when we were in town for an Agility trial for our dogs. We found it to have quiet, comfortable rooms with great water pressure in the shower (a rarity in hotels). The breakfast available in the morning was excellent. We will stay here again when traveling to Sandy!
My husband had an early morning flight and would arrive at the hotel many hours before check in and before I could get there. I placed a call to the hotel and Teresa did everything she could and when housekeeping arrived, she had them clean a room as soon as it was available. I appreciated her going up and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He had been up since 2:30 in the morning and enjoyed the hotel's offer of having their free breakfast while he waited. We have stayed here before and we knew the rooms are very nice, the beds/pillows are comfortable, etc., but it was this next level of service which made our stay a memorable one.
My 11 Month old was bitten by either fleas or bed bugs in the room we stayed in #230 and I do have pictures to prove it. I got a call from the General Manager a couple days after checking out telling me she had given me a full refund on my room and to remove my review from tripadvisor. Which I did.... But I had booked 2 rooms one under the Employee rate and one booked under the Best Western Rewards rate the GM told me they honored my friends reservation with the employee rate However that was not the case. My friend paid cash and paid more than what the Employee rate would of been. I contacted the GM the next day letting her know that if they had honored the Employee rate that they owed her the difference from what she had paid. The GM was super RUDE and said your friend is NOT getting a refund and just hung up on me.
This hotel is very pleasant to stay in! I would highly recommend if you find yourself in the area. Rooms are nice and clean, the pool is indoor and nice, and the location is good for finding dinner options.
We only stayed one night passing through. Very good location right off the highway. Friendly staff, very clean rooms with comfortable beds. Nice indoor pool open late. Great breakfast choices. Loved the scent of the lotion, used it on our entire trip!
This motel is the very best Best Western we have ever stayed at and the best value ever received at a Best Western. The staff was very helpful in every respect, accommodating every need and request. We especially appreciated the friendliness of all the staff. Other hotel guests we met were also very friendly. A very pleasant experience.
We spent almost two weeks there three years ago and returned last week fir 3 nights. It has been remodeled and updated. Room was clean and spacious, comfortable beds, tasty breakfast options and coffee was good too. Convenient to restaurants and the mall. Will definitely stay again.
Was very pleased with all aspects of my stay at this Best Western. Friendliness of staff at check in was exceptional and room was in good order. Shower pressure was only negative. Have stayed at this hotel many times and have never had an issue that was not promptly addressed by either the staff or manager.
Good price; good Wi-Fi, very clean, quiet and comfortable room; good TV and selection of channels. Staff was pleasant and professional. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, waffles, along with cold cereal (and hot oatmeal). There was also an assortment of donuts (yum) as well as yogurt and a few other items.
Great counter service! The young lady she was from Australia she helped me with my Best Western rewards program explaining some of the options I have when my points get s little more. The stay was comfortable!!!!!!
Nice staff, filthy hall rugs- I am allergic, rooms okay but dimly lit. Loved the balcony but it was covered with sticky spills. Expensive for very little. The extended stay in sugarhouse is better but far from Sandy. sort of creepy area but good views and starbucks nearby. Not for me but some people would be fine with it.
This property is clean, modern, comfortable and we felt very safe staying here. The staff is friendly, professional and accommodating. The beds were super comfortable and the hotel is quite so we were well rested. We would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect!
We stayed here last year lucky enough to get a balcony room in back. We could open the glass door and enjoy the fresh air with our coffee. It was lovely. Nice size rooms very clean. Staying again this year. Different story. Room still nice and clean but its 116. The closest to the lobby ground floor. I'm exhausted! No way to get a good nights sleep. Everyone thinks it's great to walk the halls in the night talking loud like everyone is deaf. One guy even came out of his room to talk on his phone. I guess his friend on the phone was hard if hearing so he went out to sit in the hall across from our door so that while he was yelling he wouldn't disturb his family. Thanks buddy. I had to go out and ask him to stop. He was surprised that his loudness was bothering anyone for the last 10 minutes. Ok maybe after hubby goes to his business meeting at 7am I can get some sleep. Nope. Room 116 is next to the maids laundry room. When the washers spin the walls vibrate! I'm so tired I'm ready to scream! Yes stay here.......but if they give you room 116 DON'T TAKE IT!!!!!!!
Good overnight or weekend location. Close to shopping center and restaurant options. Rooms are average, very clean but not too comfortable of a bed. Overall satisfied with my experience. Will consider BW in the future due to nice service.
My stay at the Best Western Cottontree Inn located in Sandy, UT was for two days of business meetings at this location. Everyone at the hotel was extremely accommodating and efficient. We have held meetings here for years and I am never disappointed in the level of service.
Front staff didn't seem to care much about their job in customer service. Was told nothing about a $50 hold being put on my card the whole stay. There were bugs in my room so they had to move me after I didn't budge on staying there. Breakfast was served until 10am, but many times gone by 9am Shuttle guys were friendly and accommodating though!
Place was decent. Asked for good view and did wasn't thrilled with my view - but I did not ask to change rooms so my fault on that. Nice to have 24 hour pool and even though it's indoors it was not muggy - nice outdoor patio.
This Best Western was very clean, decorated lovely and had great amenities. Every time we stay in the Salt Lake area we stay at this hotel even though it is a bit further south. We love it and recommend it.
I am a frequent traveler, have been for over (40) Years. I HIGHLY recommend the Best Western Cotton Wood in Sandy UT. It is the best Hotel ever and that takes into account (40) travel years experience. Keep up the good work Kristen
This was approximate the fourth time I've stayed at this particular hotel. I've always enjoyed my stay the staff is very courteous and the amenities are plentiful. However can get noisy from outside the room.
The staff was very friendly and helpful; nice area, quick and easy check-in and check-out; one of the best complimentary breakfasts we've had. We would definitely come back to this Best Western. Rooms and hotel were clean and comfortable.
We wanted to reserve two nights using points. We delt with three individuals and paid an additional $45. The nights were three days apart. When we arrived the first night we realized the reservation was for a different date therefore no available room. We had to go to another motel.
I spent 4 nights at this Best Western and could not be happier with the staff, the property and the location. In addition it was a great value. The rooms were VERY nicely appointed and the staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. To top it off where is great dining within walking distance. Would stay here for sure next time I am in the area.
Enjoyed this stay. Bed comfortable and plenty of blankets. 24 hour hot chocolate, usually only coffee offered at most hotels. Wonderful breakfast from 6 am to 10 am. Full size donuts, fruit and hot meat and eggs. Made us hot chocolate chip cookies in the evenings.
Although we only spent a few hours at the Cottontree Inn, the room and staff were so nice it felt like a little mini vacation. It was a great night. I wish I had paid more attention to the young ladies name that assisted me at check in. She was so helpful and sweet. I noticed several other customers came by and said hello as if they were seeing a friend. These are the things I notice and am impressed by. I travek to the Salt Lake Valley quite often and will be staying at the Best Western Cottontree in each time I do so. Keep up the good work.
Excellent Hotel and good service. Staff Was good and excellent customer service from booking the room to the stay. Clean hotel and made the stay as comfortable as could with good room and internet. Every stay at best western has been great quality with exceptional service and this hotel lived up to it as well.
You'll love this hotel. It's quiet in the rooms, the beds are very comfortable. The indoor pool was heated and able to be used. The breakfast is a great selection and varies from day to day. It has easy access to lots of restaurants nearby and the freeway. The staff are great and very helpful. We found it last year and loved it so we came back to it for a BMWMOA National Rally this year. Give it a try - you won't be sorry.
Good hotel, the continental breakfast consisted of doughnuts, bananas, powder scrabble eggs, see through back and barley cook potatoes. This was the worst part. The rooms were clean and presentable, the meeting rooms were good, the air conditioning was set to high and the room were extremely cold. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Hotel is nicely situated for the airport. Rooms were clean, plenty of towels and toiletries, although the air conditioning was noisy at times. The staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of eateries within a short distance. There was a railway station approx. 1 mile away from where you could easily travel into Salt Lake city centre. Complimentary breakfast catered for most tastes.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and nice. The room was really clean and the beds were amazing. They also had a cappuccino machine and had one of my favorite coffees.
Best Western Plus Cottontree Inn was the hotel we got to stay during our drive from Laramie, WY to Las Vegas, NV. This was on May 7th & 8th 2017. All of us slept well after a good drive. The hotel environs are quiet & comfortable. The staff were also co-operative. Rooms are clean. Good Vegetarian food was available. Looking forward for another stay in this place...
I came to Sandy to visit family. In the past I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in this same cluster of motels. The better reviews of this place made me decide to try it, and I did find it a bit better. It's more attractive, my room was nicer, the breakfast was a bit better. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was somewhat noisy on my first three evenings because of quite a few youth soccer teams that were here -- they were noisy in the hallways and in the pool area, and they set off alarms as pranks a few times - but that was a minor annoyance; overall they were nice kids, just full of excess energy.
Clean, nice people. small pool. parking adequate. cookies in afternoon are nice. breakfast - ehh. small area when the hotel is full. value is good compared to those around. good bed if you like a soft bed...... You can also bring your dog which is a plus.
Came to Sandy for my niece's graduation from Roseman university and stayed at BW Auto Mall. Pros: staff are courteous and very friendly from making reservations, special requests, info on shuttle, etc...breakfast is the usual fares and good, coffee and tea are available in lobby 24 hours. Hotel is kept clean and nicely decorated. There are many fast food places and restaurants within walking distance. The mall is also a walking distance but you have to cross a busy street to get across. There is a hotel shuttle that could take you for free around 5 mile radius. Cons: I requested for a room with balcony with mountain view but I got a little ledge that is about 2 feet deep with a view of Wendy's. TIPS: -if not renting a car, shuttle express is available from SLC airport for about $19 excluding tip. -if requesting balcony ask if it is a regular balcony size or a ledge. Highly recommend.
We recommend this hotel; for several reasons! 1) friendly and helpful staff 2)comfortable rooms 3)Good breakfast with many choices 4) Free shuttle for local trips 5) FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF! 6) FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF!
Family and business trip. Hotel was located in a very good area for me to accomplish all necessary business. Plenty of local amenities to make it very convenient. No snow this trip made it even better!
Great decor, 24 hour pool and fitness, pets allowed, restaurants and shopping within walking distance, comfortable beds, fresh smelling rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, very clean rooms, air conditioned rooms.
I have stayed here for two different types events. One was for a Scrapbook Crop and the other was an Authors Meet and Greet.. I found the event rooms to be well set-up and in a quiet area os the Hotel.
This is a newer property and has very clean rooms that are comfortable. The breakfast is great with waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, biscuits and many more. The indoor pool and hot tub are clean and inviting. The laundry facility is convenient on the first floor and the staff is friendly.
We stayed here with our soccer team for 3 days. Nice hotel with a good price. Good clean room with a pretty large mini fridge for drinks for multiple days. Great free hot breakfast in the lobby. Nice Samsung TV's
The breakfast choices were incredible. For example all on one day; Waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, 2 fruit choices, bagels, toast, yogurt, 3 types of cold cereal, 1 hot cereal, toast, jam, 2 syrup choices, milk, 2 juices. The food was hot and fresh and very tasty. Coffee and Cappuccino available all day was a real perk for me. Hot fresh cookies were offered at the front desk around 7 pm. ish
I stayed at this location for 1 night, and it set the standard for all the Best Western's I stayed at for this trip. Check-in was quick and easy - the staff at the front counter were very friendly and helpful when I had questions. The room was large and clean, no complaints for the washroom and despite being right by the ice maker it was very quiet. The room overlooked the parking lot and Wendy's, but there was a beautiful view of the mountains as well. Wi-Fi signal was strong and remained that way all night, which if you are anything like me, is very important. Breakfast in the morning was probably one of the best continental breakfast's I've ever had - It had many options for a hot breakfast including eggs, bacon, hash browns, oatmeal and waffles (With a toppings bar!) as well as cereal, bread/English muffins to toast, donuts, muffins, etc. I won't hesitate to book here again should I ever be out that way. Excellent experience from check-in to check-out.
We reserved a standard room at the military rate a few days prior our arrival from Littleton, CO. We got the standard 500 pts. on the summer promotion and the welcoming gift too. Surprisingly, we found the room had been upgraded to a suite 335 without asking & without charge. It was fantastic. A separate living room, two TV's and two AC's so you don't have to run the one by the bed. Breakfast was outstanding. Very classy hotel and very well maintained.
Great location and service! Second time here and will be on our list for next trip here. Looking for other locations we might stay in. Might look into other BW brands in Europe in July. Keep up the good work!
I've stayed at the Cottontree Best Western Sandy for a total of 9 nights this year and enjoyed every bit of it. Staff is very helpful, hotel room great, pool and hot tub nice. Shuttle service within 5 miles is a great feature!
We didn't have reservations. We stopped to see if there were rooms available, and we were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. They did have a room, and they were very reasonable! Very nice room with a balcony. Nice view of the snowy mountains. Coffee available in the lobby. Free breakfast with scrambled eggs, oatmeal, sausage, waffles with strawberries, etc. Would definitely stay there again!
This hotel is incredible we stayed in room 331 which has a beautiful balcony which overlooks the mountains. When we arrived it literally took 2 seconds to check in which was awesome the staff was so nice and friendly. The room has a comfy king bed and a couch a desk and best of all a fridge. Everything was super clean you can really tell the staff cares about this place. The towels were the best I have had in a hotel. I just wanted to say thanks for an amazing stay.
Stayed 5 days, over Memorial Day Wknd to attend Paint Horse Show at Fairgrounds. ALL hotel staff were cheerful, friendly, and accommodating. Room was very clean, beds comfortable! Would like to see microwaves in rooms-that would be helpful. But wonderful stay overall.
The Cottontree Inn is a lovely spot for an overnight stay. The room we had was very well appointed with tasteful up to date decor. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were high quality. Several eating establishments are within walking distance at the South Towne Centre mall. It is a pet friendly hotel with several grassy areas. It offers a good hot breakfast to guests. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Asst General Manager comped us a night due to unsatisfactory issues the last time we had stayed. This visit was definitely a "10" as everything was perfect. We will for sure stay here again. Staff was very friendly & helpful.
I usually stay at Marriot or Best westerns and this Best Western was very impressive and was fee better than any Marriot I've stayed in . Amazing beautiful decor & most importantly excellent customer service ! Good job to all your staff !!!
Arrived in Salt Lake City late at night and wanted a Best Western on the way to our destination in the morning. This BW fit the bill. Located in a retail/shopping area so convenient to all amenities. Very comfortable room and decent free breakfast included. Very reasonable rates.
Stayed one night on the second floor. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Outside noise was minimal, check in was fast and easy, nothing overly grand about it but nothing overly undesirable about it either. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing though. Breakfast hours started at 6am, we went down at 8:30 and it was pretty picked apart. No more eggs and gravy, forks, and the biscuits were dry, shriveled and burnt. The other breakfast alternatives were dry cereal, oatmeal(a few toppings), yogurt(a few toppings provided), fresh fruit, donut/muffin tray (pretty empty as well) and mini waffles. The juice selection was just orange and apple, just a personal preference of mine is to always go with the cranberry juice (can't go wrong there!) and they did not have that option. Overall just an average stay. Location was surrounded with road work which was not ideal to get to via google maps. A mall is close to this location though and plenty of options to go and eat. Gym, pool and spa were open 24 hours which is also noteworthy. Final random advice- In the shower, there is a faint arrow on the handle. Where that arrow is pointing is the determination as to water temperature. Every shower every where you go seems to be different, wanted to save someone the couple of minutes of cold water trying to figure this part out :)
Clean, friendly staff, great location, close to large mall and eating establishments! wonderful experience!! Will definitely stay here again when in the SLC area. Sandy City is about half way between Salt Lake it's and Provo
Great Staff, feels like home! I'm here at least 1 week a month and the front desk team always go out of their way to make each trip a pleasure! The rooms are always clean and serviced each day. If there is ever a problem, like a light out, the maintenance team are quick to fix it. I've been staying here for the last 17 years and can't remember a bad stay.
It was a comfortable room, providing all the ameneties normally required such as a bed, AC/Heat, TV, and toilet/shower. The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean. The breakfast was good, however was not stocked often enough and was frequently out of common bread items.
My stay at the Bet Western Cotton Tree Inn was a wonderful surprise. I have stayed in Best Western hotels in the past and had come to expect them to be a functional average hotel for that price point, but the Cotton Tree Inn went well beyond what I was expecting.
Hotel is close to anything you might need. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Rooms are nice and clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The breakfast was your usual hotel breakfast but at the same time it didn't taste bland. Pool and hot tub are open 24/7 which is always a plus.
We had a great time here. Slept well. It's a nice sized hotel, not too big so easy in and out. No fuss breakfast provided with lots of choices. We slept so well! The bed, bedding and pillows were so comfortable. We will stay here again.
Pretty decent hotel if you have to stay in south SLC. There are a few restaurants around, fast food too, Starbucks just half a block away. Very close to the highway. If you forget something at home, there is the cleanest WalMart I have ever been to a couple miles away. lol
This is a wonderful Hotel. It's in a perfect location and it's always a great deal. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours which is really nice. Breakfast is a nice layout with good choices period we always stay here when we're in the area. :-)
This is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff and great customer service. We attended our son's graduation from Roseman Dental School, and this hotel offered a substantial discount for people associated with the college. Breakfasts were excellent, pool was warm, nice exercise room, wonderful beds. We would definitely stay here again.
Room very nice but semi truck out out window running all night bad deal don't pay to stay at a truck stop food at breakfast should be fresh and hot or warm at least but overall I will stay here in the future
IT was an awesome stay, just that the headboard was broken upon check in, in room 426. so had to help agent out with moving bed and carrying the headboard. But other than that everything was AWESOME as always.
Clean, comfortable guest room Friendly, helpful staff close to lots of restaurants, shopping centre, gas bars, etc. Easy to find off Interstate 15 as well as access next morning to continue on our trip
The lady at the desk was so kind in helping me carry stuff up to the room with me since I had so much stuff and my hands were full. Its was an eager to please attitude that really made it a joy to stay there and feel appreciated as a guest at the hotel. Lots of good places to eat with many choices in walking distance.
Love this motel. Is located in a great part of the Salt Lake Valley close to shopping and mass transit. Room was very clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this motel for your stay in the Salt Lake area.
We had a great time at this Best Western Hotel the staff was helpful and the overall conditions were great everyone was friendly I would certainly stay again we happened to be onsite for the Cotton Wood trees in Bloom it was beautiful
Excellent stay in this hotel. I have frequently stayed here, and will continue to make plans to stay here. Rooms are clean, refrigerators in every room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good and the warm freshly baked cookies in the evening are a nice treat.
The Best Western Cottontree Inn is a fabulous choice if your looking for top of the line customer service, clean rooms, and comfy beds. Breakfast is adequate. Nice indoor pool and great wifi service! I would highly recommend.
we spent 2 nights there while visiting wife's Family. Very nice place , freeway close but quiet, nice rooms with all ammenties , Staff was very helpful when I was looking for directions. nice breakfast once again B/W lives upto standards
We have never stayed at this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised! The comfort and beauty of the rooms, the quietness, and amazing continental breakfast were a bonus. The sheets and bed were very comfortable. We will stay here again!
Great Hotel and great comfortable stay. Great Location for shopping \\and eating. Freeway close but quiet.. Hotel personnel very co-operative in a highly professional manner. They were polite and helpful with directions and miscellaneous information. Pool.spa area great. All areas of the facility were neat and clean and well maintained. Up dates secruty measures were easy to use. (i.e. keyless entry cards) Parking lot well lite fore safety of vehicles.
The Best Western Cotton Tree Inn exceeds all expectations for any traveler - the staff is EXCEPTIONAL - room rates are fairly priced and the property is ideally located for shopping and dining within walking distance. The property is well maintained and you can expect a real breakfast (no charge). My favorite hotel when travelling :)
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were so happy to hear that the pool was open 24 hours as we were going to be out a little late. The room was very nice and clean and the breakfast was tasty. I left my sweater in a drawer. When I called they were very helpful in locating it and holding it for me to pick up later.
Had good times. Nice hotel in the City. Shopping center, restaurants, and the business were closed by. Shuttle service within 5 miles helped me. Breakfast was good. Rooms were very clean. Reception was good. We will visit again.
I think the Cotton Tree Best Westerns are much better than other Best Westerns I have stayed in. This hotel was very up to date in their furnishings and bed linens. There was a large tv in the room, comfortable sofa, refrigerator and coffee machine. My only two complaints would be that the air conditioner is behind the sofa so there is not great air flow and there were not a lot of amenities in the bathroom.
I have always loved staying at the Cotton Tree Inn in Sandy, Utah. I have training every year in Sandy and we always stay with the Cotton Tree. I am an animal lover, and I did see some dogs there during my stay. I LOVE that pets are allowed. I always feel so safe and cared for here.
Welcoming and helpful staff, comfortable, nice rooms. Good place to stay in Sandy. Room was nice and clean and facilities very good. Plenty of parking and a good spot between Provo and Salt Lake City. Would stay here again.
I recommend this particular Hotel to everyone, it was clean friendly and very accommodating. Comfortable beds, well maintained grounds, fresh and tasty food and the entire Staff was courteous and friendly.
Nice, clean comfortable room with desk and fridge. The staff was great, but I can't give it an excellent rating because our room's carpet had been shampooed and was still damp when we checked in. It was late and we didn't feel like changing rooms so we toughed it out (which wasn't really that bad!). We laid towels on the floor to keep our bare feet dry. Breakfast was good.
I stayed here three days and two nights on business. The hotel was clean and quiet and met my expectations. The breakfast food was great. We used one of the conference rooms for our three-day meeting so I pretty much just lived in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice hotel. Full breakfast comes with the room. 24 hour hot tub and pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice neighborhood and easy access and only 20 or so minutes from downtown SLC and Provo. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
For a one night stay, this was a great motel to stay in, friendly staff, good breakfast in the morning, good room, nice bed--all in all, I would have staying in this motel on our way back. Only other problem, is eating establishments, there was a Wendy's next door, didn't see any other places.
Great place to stay, close to just about everything that you need. Our business uses this Best Western to set-up rooms because the price is good and the process that we have to reserve the rooms and have us billed for the rooms works out great. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this motel to anyone.
I love staying at this hotel. It is nice, clean, and is in a great location. We've stayed there numerous times in the last couple of years. However, I will not stay there again until they update their AC units. For the two times that I stayed there before this last visit, we asked the repair man to come work on the unit. It stays the same temperature no matter what the setting is. It is also EXTREMELY noisy when it kicks on and off. This was the third room that I've stayed in in the last few months and it's AC unit had the same problem. It is to the point that I have to overlook the rest of the things that I love staying at this hotel. As soon as they get new units, I will be back!
Business traveler. Clean and in a convenient location between SLC and Provo. The 24 hour pool and jacuzzi is also nice. Breakfast is decent and there is also always coffee available. Staff was also very attentive.
Its a good hotel to come back to on auto mall drive there in Sandy and never am I disappointed. I really enjoyed my stay and am eager to get back there again. They know how to treat a diamond select member right.
This was a very nice clean hotel with great rooms and amenities. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was great and service was great as well. We got the King room with the sofa which had a fridge and sink/bar. The bathroom had a huge tube with upgraded sink and tub.
We had an issue with the home we were moving into, so we looked around for a good deal with free breakfast. At check-in I loved Teresa at the front desk! She was always on top of things and answered all my questions. She was always able to re-program more keys (when my kids misplaced them), she was friendly and I always walked away happy that I was there. My 4 kids, husband and I all loved the breakfast -the whole time! We got to know Mary and Aide, the two that do it, and were so impressed with their friendly service and efficiency. There were a lot of people at the hotel a few of the nights and everything was great! We loved the computers in the lobby, the washer/dryers were great, access to wifi, and the pool was clean and well kept. Overall - if you have to live somewhere away from home -- this place was awesome!
This hotel is a safe haven we really enjoyed our stay and will go back. This was our second visit to Utah and we love this state hope to be back next year. So much to see. The hotel is well placed. Good restaurants very near the hotel.
Nice location, service, employees, and customer friendly. Very friendly and helpful employees. (One of the check in employees knew I was picking up some of our group from the airport and saved a cookie for me.)
This is an *excellent* facility, in every way: quality of the staff, level of amenities, efficiency, adequacy of facilities, morning breakfast. The attitude of the staff with respect to customer service was especially notable (wish it was like this everywhere else in he US!!). I want to qualify my rating about the location as "average." For me, the location was EXCELLENT, just minutes away from where I needed to be. For others, it might be a bit far from downtown Salt Lake, but in all fairness there is a train station only minutes away. In the future, I will always stay here!! GREAT value for the money at 2X or 3X the price.
Very high quality hotel for the price. I am greatly impressed with this hotel each time I stay here. Great friendly staff to welcome you to your stay. My son really enjoyed the pool to swim in and I was glad it was clean.
We were broke down over labor day weekend for 4 days, spent the first night at the Extended Stay as we knew it would be a long wait for repairs, bad choice, so we went to Best Western Plus next door and they made our stay very comfortable in spite of the stress. Shopping and restaurants were within walking distance. The breakfast was great, comfortable beds, clean rooms and Teresa the front desk associate was above and beyond kind and helpful. We will stay there again if we are in the area.
I always for a pet free room when I stay at a hotel and this hotel moved me to a room that hadn't had pets in it. It is a pet friendly hotel which accommodates the needs of many but they also keep in mind the frequent needs of people to be pet free. The elevators don't have carpet so pet dander wasn't a problem. They were clean and moped and I didn't have any resulting allergic reactions.
We had a great stay overnight and will surely spend another few nights at other locations as we travel about. Thank you for the service and cleanliness you provide to your customers. We appreciate the award points we received that was very helpful.
Loved this hotel in Sandy, Utah. Was close to shopping and restaurants ... Whole Foods nearby. Felt like I was out in the country ... very quiet and peaceful. Very nice pool, lobby. Great value! Will stay at this hotel when I visit the Salt Lake area, which will be minimum of six times per year. It is close to the airport yet away from the busyness of the big city. Lot's of great Mexican Food restaurants nearby.
It is a nice place to stay but as a Rewards member they do all they can to get the highest price they can. Last year we booked a balcony room using our rewards points and they changed the room for another. Won't be staying there again. The breakfast that day was average at best. We picked up the garbage behind furniture and just under the beds when enter the room.
Courteous staff at check-in. The room was clean. The location is convenient for those with business in the southern Salt Lake Valley. The facility has ample parking. The vent fans were noisy and and the air conditioners are too. Overall it was a nice stay.
We had decided to chose this hotel because of the price and location. We have also have had mostly pleasant experiences with BW Hotels. It took the check-in person about 15 minutes to check us in. Although we checked in after 4pm, our original room was not yet ready. The room we did get had a balcony which was a plus, but it overlooked a parking lot so no advantage there. My request for a quiet room was not honored. We had very noisy neighbors along with an a/c unit that was very loud. Breakfast was absolutely awful. There was no fresh fruit, coffee was cold and the eggs were rubber.
We were in room 414 which was very spacious, had a very comfortable bed, in a good location, with helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast had lots of variety and there was adequate seating. This was a great value for the money and I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel in August 2016 while attending a family event at a nearby event center. The room was clean and comfortable. We were next to the elevators, but the room was extremely quiet - no extraneous noise at all. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was a cut above. We were extremely pleased to find protein (eggs and bacon) instead of just the normal high-carb continental fare. Great job! Would definitely stay here again, if we were in the area.
The suite was perfect for our family of 5 and the room was clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. My one complaint is with the breakfast area - it is way too small for the large number of people that need served. There is not enough seating and the food area is cramped. Breakfast hours are until 10:00am but at 9:30 there was hardly anything left and it did not appear that the breakfast server was going to refill anything.
pleasurable stay. Pleasant greeting upon arrival. Parked very close to entry and room. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Breakfast delicious. Conversations with staff at hotel was friendly. All in all, was treated like family. Nice.
I go to Sandy a lot for business and personal activities. I always stay at the Cotton Tree inn. Its close to everything I need, Its clean and the staff is excellent. They always give me the Diamond member room upgrade which is great.
Excellent hotel. Clean, easy access to freeway and travel, good parking. I would recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure. I did not have the complimentary breakfast, but saw many people doing so. They appeared happy with food.
We stay at this BW every time we come to UT to visit family & friends (1 to 2 times a year). This time the property seemed dated; the furnishings seemed old & tired. The heating/cooling system was soooo loud we could not have it on, even though the temperature outside was above 90 degrees. The lamp was broken, could not turn it on -- had to plug the lamp in each time until it was changed out. The sheets were very worn (they were clean). It was just not the best experience for the $$ paid.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always had an exceptional experience from the front desk to the maid service. Would highly recommend to any one to stay here, the rooms are always clean and nice the beds are comfortable and the staff will exceed your expectations. I certainly appreciate the appearance of the facility and never found a reason to complain.
Loved this hate and the location is perfect. The pet friendly policy is the reason we picked this hotel. Will deffinatly use this hotel again. The whole staff was wonderful to work with making our stay great. Nice clean pool and hot tub.
Stayed here during a Basball tournament and was very pleased. Have not stayed at a Best Western in a long time and not used to them being this nice. Finishes very nice and updated. Clean and bed was comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the "Hot Breakfast" very basic eggs, sausage & potatoes no cheese or salsa for the eggs. Waffles were good but pre made and I prefer the make your own like at other Hotel Chains. The staff was very friendly and like I said the pool area is always open so that is a big bonus when you get in late. I would definitely stay at this here again.
The hotel was very nice and clean. The suite was great but for almost $180 per night. Pool was indoor and heated and def helped the kiddos get out some energy. The hotel is not too far from lots of restaurants. Breakfast was great and the staff was awesome.
At check in I was advised I had been upgraded to a Family Suite. Staff was very friendly. The room was very nice. Two queen beds a separate area that had a couch and it's own TV and a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. The room, 235 was in the south east corner of the building. Thanks for a great stay.
On a recent road trip my family stayed at 3 different BW properties and I expected this to be the best. It just wasn't. Nothing absolutely wrong, just a lot not quite right. The parking lot layout was awkward, the elevators are right in the middle of the hallway instead of an alcove at the end, so lots of traffic and congestion in the hallway if your room is close to the elevator. The breakfast room layout was poorly designed and fit way fewer people than it should. One bed in the room was saggy and not great, but I'm told the other was very comfortable. The location is very convenient for Ikea and the Loveland aquarium, which is why we chose it, but overall, we just were not thrilled with our stay.
The staff at the Cotton Tree Inn are knowledgeable, and effective. The rooms are great, you are within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping, and you have easy access to the main freeway.
I was well taken care of at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the shuttle service prompt. The breakfast was complete and was something I looked forward to each morning. The hotel was nice, though I found the hot tub lacking slightly, it wasn't an issue since most of my time was spent at the conference I was attending.
Paola Servin, was very professional, kind, and willing to help us with whatever we were in need of to make our stay special! The hotel was very nice, clean, pool was fun, breakfast was very yummy. The food staff gave wonderful service. we loved our stay, and will go back soon!
This BW was very nice. Didn't interact with the staff too much but when I did they were very pleasant. The location was great. Within walking distance of several restaurants. The room was very nice with a decent sized TV. The only two complaints I have is the exhaust fan in the bathroom needed a good cleaning and the free products (shampoo, conditioner...etc) were made in China. There are too many quality and safe products from the USA that can be had at the same price. For those of you that choose BW for their great breakfast don't expect too much from this one. The food was mediocre at best. I stayed 5 nights and didn't get much variety. Somewhat disappointed because usually BW's have a great breakfast. Overall I like it and would stay again.
I would highly recommend staying here if you're traveling in Utah. Staff and room were great. They helped us find our way around town and went out of their way to insure we had a great stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel was close to everything.
I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The lobby is beautiful, The staff was all very helpful and gracious. It was easy to find and convenient to many restaurants, Starbucks, gas stations, etc. I was on the fourth floor and had no noise problems at all.
I was very impressed with the accommodations, size and decor/style of the room and the ease of the stay. I had my deceased relatives belongings in my SUV and the staff allowed me to park in the breezeway to ensure the security of the valuables (their suggestion). The neighborhood was very close the freeway, a Starbucks, gas station and fast food. Very convenient!
Nice room with comfortable beds and furniture. Good breakfast area with plenty of selections. Warm water pool, hot tub and fitness area. Close to restaurants and the interstate. Few short miles to the center of Salt Lake. If you should be at this hotel check in to see if the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is performing. They were outstanding. From this location we found it very easy access to many of the interesting points in the Salt Lake area.
Great stay would recommend to anyone for business or vacation. I plan on staying here every time I am in town. Clean rooms, full breakfast, nice helpful people. Good location easy to access hwy. close to things the town has to offer.
great hotel, great staff, very clean. other than some construction in the parling lot, it was a perfect experiance. close to food ,shopping and attractions. would recommend for work or play. i will stay here again.
This hotel is always rockin busy, but very accomodating. It is close to so many restaurants and shopping and has a great view that we always ask for. The breakfast is good. Many choices and and great eggs. The bedding is clean and comfortable. We enjoy our stay each visit.
First time at this location for one night on business. I arrived about 8:45 PM and the staff was very accommodating. I inquired about restaurants and they recommended two, but by the time I got to either of them, they had stopped serving. The hotel is definitely family oriented, so it was a little loud in the halls, but not disruptive to me, so I did not complain. The room decor was clean and modern, but the bathroom sink stopper handle was hard to work and could not be used to stop the drain to fill the sink. It was too close to the wall and the picture framed mirror above it. The bed was comfortable. There was free WIFI. There was also coffee and tea in the room as well as the lobby. There was also a microwave and mini-refrigerator. The breakfast was good, not exception, but a nice variety of breads and pastries, hot and cold cereal, fruits, waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon, coffees, teas and juices. It is not high end, but it came with the room and you do not have to rush out early to find a restaurant when your on business. And who wants fast food breakfast?! I have had better and have had many that were worse. I did not use the pool, fitness center, lounge or the business center. I would recommend this for families and travelers alike.
I've stayed at this hotel for a conference five years running. Good things: The lobby staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodated my request for a quiet room on the fourth floor. They also asked a noisy neighbor to turn down a television blaring at 11 p.m. (But that was only one night--the rest of the week was quiet.) The lobby and rooms are clean, modern, and well decorated (although the rooms are dark--who's idea was that black accent wall?) Hot drinks are available in the lobby 24/7, with a good selection of herbal teas. The lobby also has three computers and a free printer--this always comes in handy. The So-so: Breakfast. They used to have omelets and a few things to add flavor to the powdered eggs. Now just plain eggs, although they did have hard-boiled one day. Sausage most days, bacon once. Only one house-brand flavor of yogurt. They do have Belgian waffles now, and a pot of oatmeal you could add toppings to, but I'd prefer more varieties of fruit and a few more healthy protein options. Kids would love the breakfast, which may be one reason it is so popular for debate tournaments and the like. The hotel was full of high school groups. Unlike other groups in past years, however, the debaters weren't noisy late at night. Fitness room needs new equipment. The elliptical made a horrible noise. The front desk did oil it when I told them, but it only helped a little. The thing needs to be replaced. Overall, good value, location, and amenities.
This hotel staff was unbelievably accommodating and helpful in everything, from the convenient shuttle to the friendly front desk, this was hands down THE BEST experience I've ever had at a hotel. I stayed for four nights with 12 middle school students but that did not phase this staff, rather, they welcomed my students with open arms and open minds. YOU MUST STAY HERE!
This is our 2nd time staying at hotel. Previous time was great. This time I had major issue of room reeking of marijuana and very lackluster response from hotel staff. My son and I suffered headaches from the smell. The breakfast was not good. Eggs were inedible, donuts stale. Sausage looked like something I'd rather not say. Waffles were minis and steamed so they were mushy.
This Best Western was a fabulous hotel. It had a great location. It is right off of I-15. It is across the street from the mall. Tons of great restaurants nearby. The rooms were big and very nice. Great indoor pool. Great breakfast. I would highly recommend.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Cotton Tree Inn. I chose it as we had tickets to see Cavalia. The show tent was in the shopping center very close by. The room was very nice with comfortable king size bed, desk, sitting chair, desk, flat screen, TV. I could see the show tent from the window from our room. They have a nice breakfast in the morning. The swimming pool is 24 hours a day. Internet is free and speed is very good. Staff is friendly and good. We had easy and quick check-in.
This is nice property. Great pool. Nice rooms - comfortable. Should be quite - we were at back of hotel and wanted to open window but closeby generator coming on periodically was disruptive. Would stay here again just in different area of hotel. Close to restaurants (walk to Simply Thai worthwhile). Close to Jordan River trail.
Great place to stay. My grandson and I stayed for one night and swam in the pool and used the work out room. He is 11 years old and thought this was a wonderful gramma night. He ate well for breakfast the next morning as well.
Nice hotel checking most of my boxes. Would have loved a microwave. Close to shopping and restaurants. Easy access to interstate. Friendly staff and a wide variety of breakfast choices. Although there was lots of traffic on all surrounding streets the room was quiet and the bed comfortable.
I am and have been a frequent business traveler for over 50 Years. This Hotel definitely ranks in the BEST - and perhaps, the best of all hotel stays ever. Beginning with the General Manager and the entire staff - nothing was left to be desired. The entire facility is impeccable, the free breakfast is the best ever (real breakfast). There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel rates are competitive with lessor quality hotels. Highly Recommended. Dennis B
I have been here before and the facility is just what I have come to expect for a best western hotel experience in any of the dozens I have stayed at for work trips. They treat me with kindness and respect and its nice to be a diamond rewards member when I travel here.
We have stayed at this hotel several times when we have been on road trips. The staff has always been very nice, and we have always had a pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
We used this hotel as it had such high ratings on TripAdvisor! We were here for five days for our son's wedding on May 14th, 2016. Everyone was kind and courteous. The grounds are well cared for and the rooms are wonderful. My husband loved the late night cookie snacks, as well! This is a very quiet hotel and was only 10 minutes from the wedding site, at Le Jarden. Great breakfast choices, and not 50 children running around, unsupervised!
This is a lovely Best Western. The rooms are clean, large, and comfortable. They are also dog friendly. The full breakfast is complementary. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours. They also have a shuttle van for local rides to restaurants, equestrian center, etc. I highly recommend this hotel!
Rooms were updated but still feel old. Nothing notable but clean. Close to a mall and some restaurants. Wendy's is next door. Noise level is good. Cleanliness is hit and miss. The elevator was dirty, and some spilled drinks were never cleaned. The hotel also does not smell clean, and we had to use air freshener.
This was our second visit. Good place for overnight stop on our way to Wyoming. Nothing too exceptional. On the plus side check in was fast and easy, friendly staff, room clean, comfortable with great view of the Rockies from the balcony 4th floor, bed and pillows comfy, quiet location, short walk to Izzy's for dinner. So so for the breakfast, which would have been better if they kept the hot food hot. Lukewarm eggs, cold sausage are not ok. The orange juice was mostly water so needed concentrate added. On another note, we've been to Best Westerns/other hotels where there were cookies upon check in or in the evening. Little things such as that go a long way for excellence and a memorable reason to return.
We stay here when we fly the early flights and this hotel exceeds its Customer Service with friendly Staff. Some rooms you will walk thru Lobby some to where your car is parked however weve always enjoyed the Breakfast and the Quiet rooms in a Peaceful setting. Nice Village restaurant nearby within walking distance of this hotel. We claim this as our second home when we visit Salt Lake City, a beautiful city!
This was a very nice and clean hotel with a very helpful staff. The indoor pool is very nice and the free breakfast is actually really good. The only reason why I'm not giving this 5 stars is the cleaning staff seems to constantly be in the hall ways, so I found that I had to dodge the attendant cart, or push my luggage over vacuum cords, or not try to slip on a newly mopped floor all the time. It's nice that they're making the extra effort to keep the place clean, but it just seemed like it was constantly being cleaned… Overall we had a lovely stay and I would not hesitate to visit again.
I stay at this hotel often and I have found it to be reliable clean and the employees helpful. I always ask for a pet free room due to pet allergies and I have always been accommodated. The close proximity to a freeway entrance is a bonus as is a mall and restaurants.
I had a great experience here. A lot of times the cleaning staff in other hotels will neglect the corners of the bathroom, edges of the carpet, etc--not here! The room was one of the cleanest I've seen, including Hilton-branded hotels and a beach resort I was at earlier in the year. The staff was very friendly and courteous. When I found it was too far to walk to work from the hotel, they arranged a complimentary shuttle to take me there. The Wi-Fi was also much faster than other hotels, which was a big plus to me. All in all, I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Sandy, UT!
It was a great experience. Josh Larson the manager was very nice and accommodating. We had to ask the front desk several times for things that we forgot to bring or didn't think about bringing and everytime they were able to supply us with the things that we needed with no cost. The staff was extremely nice. I would definitely hold a conference there again.
Checked into our two rooms and the front desk staff was wonderful. Our rooms were very clean. The pool was opened all the time which worked out perfect for us. And it's right by a mall?! Great location. Will be staying here again! Breakfast was great too.
I have brought seven large groups to this hotel and we keep coming back. Great hotel! Everyone in the groups love to come back here. We will be back here again next year. The service is great, rooms are clean and up to date.
I stay there from time to time on business. Very nice staff, clean rooms. Really a first class feel, but the internet leaves something to be desired. If you have business you need to take care of online it is almost impossible art times. Other than that I have no other complaints.
Hotel was well kept, room was neat and clean. Breakfast was pretty good, especially for free. It was nice that coffee and other drinks were available day or night. Ample parking with multiple entrances to hotel, this makes it easy to get in and out to the car easy. This is my second time staying at this location and we will not hesitate to return.
This location is very convenient to several northern Utah sites that we wanted to see. Plus, you can walk to restaurants, which is always helpful. Comfortable beds, clean room, friendly staff. Same breakfast buffet as the other hotels in the chain. Good price.
Very nice motor hotel, easy access off I 15. Room was clean and well appointed, BUT, the lobby, guest areas, hallways and breakfast room were very warm and smelled heavily of chlorine from the pool, making these common areas most uncomfortable.
Friendly and helpful staff, good sized and clean rooms. Hotel was well located, easily accessible to the freeway and ideal for an overnight while on the road. Room was quiet and everything worked well. Great breakfast!!
My wife and I were impressed with the staff of this Best Western for many reasons. All the people we met and worked with were friendly and customer focused. The room was clean andspacious (ask for an east-facing room with a balacany on the 4th floor). Each day of our visit the room was cleaned well the ONLY complaint we have is that the carpets throughout the establishment were dirty. We highly recommend daily vacuuming of the halls and stairways. Breakfast was always well prepared and different each of the four we had. The pool and hot tub were clean and wonderful after a day of skiing. This Best Western offers discount lift tickets for local ski areas which saved us a good deal of money. Josh Larson, the General Manager was extremely helpful and friendly. We'd stay at the CottonTree again.
Every year we book with them when we attend the annual trade shows that we go to at the Southtowne Expo center. They are always accommodating, they allow me to book several rooms and call later once I know the names of my reps that will be staying in the rooms. They are very courteous and prompt on emailing my room confirmations and very accommodating. My representatives always mention that they are clean and comfortable and very close to restaurants, shopping and the expo center. Thanks for all you do for us every year, we will continue to come back.
The staff at your hotel was very pleasant and accommodating. I could tell they are focused on customer service. My only recommendation would be to have cleaner hallways. The carpet seemed a little dingy.
Traveling on a ski vacation to Utah I found that the hotel met all of my needs - clean, comfortable, relatively quiet and at a reasonable price. The location gives quick access to I-15 but the noise level was quite good since the hotel is not directly on any main road. There were several restaurants within walking distance that I used and was happy to leave the car parked in the evening. Breakfast was a bit disappointing because there was little cooked food to choose from. I would stay here again if I am in S.L.C. in the future.
Great for large group! We stayed here for a lacrosse tournament with a team. We have stayed at this hotel for this tournament for the past 4 years. The hotel has been very accommodating for our team, and has wonderful at providing a fantastic group rate for the team and parents attending! They are super easy to work with and the rooms are very large which easily accommodates 4 players to a room. Thank you CottonTree Inn, Sandy for another fantastic stay!!!
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our large group of 30 arrived midday, three hours before check in, and the staff allowed us to set up our picnic lunch in their breakfast area while they prioritized our rooms for cleaning, allowing us to check in 2 hours early. They also allowed us to use a conference room for our catered dinner and provided a projector to use during our dinner. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the staff provided a cot for a late addition to our group. They went above and beyond to make our stay easy! Will stay again and I highly recommend you stay here! Lisa F.
The hotel was very nice and comfortable. Great value for the price. Would definitely stay again! The room was very nice and had everything we needed. After a long trip, the bed was so comfortable....we sleep perfectly and woke feeling very rested.
The hotel is easy to get to from the airport - 20 minutes approx. Close enough to easily reach the slopes yet in a central location ideal for restaurants, shopping and other area attractions. All the staff are friendly and genuinely seem happy there which says plenty about their work environment. The room was tasteful, pleasant and roomy, it had everything we needed and nothing we didnt. Balcony was useful with a nice view of the Wasatch, which was a bonus.
Good location, quiet for a big city, very good breakfast, clean. We're not city people and we appreciated where this hotel was. It was easy to get in and out of and had some nice restaurants nearby, as well as a mall.
I stayed at Best Western On Auto Mall Drive, Sandy, Utah. Asked for discounts for AARP or military. None given, guy that walked in after me was given same rate as I was! No one at front desk seemed to have a clue as to what was going on. My credit card was run so many times, different amounts each time, that my company placed a stop on my card. They assumed it was fraudulent transactions. I wasn't aware of what had happened, until I tried to use the card again. It was declined!!! I then spent several hours trying to straighten the mess out! The room was ok, however it was not worth the hassle. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nice, new, everything you need to have a successful business trip or with family and friends. Good location, close to everything you need or want. Well run, good amenities and attentive, helpful staff.
Upgrade - maybe new linens or furniture, but still a dump. Windows don't work; the eating area must have been an after thought because there was little room to sit. Very crowded and unappealing. There is newer and nicer places a block away.
I can't believe how nice the rooms were or how friendly and helpful the staff were. I'm not kidding when I say I will never stay anywhere else. Everyone from the housekeeping to the managers are extremely professional and treat you like family.
Great hotel and staff very friendly clean and modern rooms plus close enough to everything great for ski trips close to downtown for conventions or business airport shuttles I give this a solid 10 great bang for your buck wish they were all like this one
Our group has been staying at the Cotton Tree for many years. We used to change it up in the past, however the value, friendliness and comfort of the CottonTree is superior. From lift tickets to proximity to restaurants, the CottonTree is our group's comfortable choice! Thanks you to all of the front desk staff and in particular Christen Forte for her continued support of our group.
We have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years; usually staying 2 or more days at a time. The staff has always been courteous and go out of their way to ensure that we have a great stay. Josh, the manager has also been great to deal with.
I keep coming back and even put up with the traffic/drive down 15 to Sandy from SLC because its worth it. This is the best BW in town. Its new clean and has the best staff in town. The location is nice near mall and lots of shopping. Great views of the mountains and Mega Movie theater is near bye. Nice indoor pool and spa with recently expanded gym.
Back in March 2014, I wrote a review saying I would never come back. However, a week ago, we needed just one night and there was an event in the area so there weren't many choices. Since it was just one night, we booked . Again, the staff is great. The rooms are nice. Breakfast is super. Just two things...Do NOT book a room at the back of the hotel. Not only is there garbage pick up but apparently there's a marshalling yard for dump trucks and cement trucks. They go in an out all afternoon and start early in the morning. Forget trying to sleep. The other thing is the rude cleaning staff. Same complaint I had before. We live in Mexico so I speak Spanish! They act like you're in their way or they don't understand you when you ask for something. No smiles. No congeniality at all...in Spanish OR English.
We've skied Utah for years, and always stay at the Sandy Best Western. Reasonable rates, clean rooms, excellent service and a friendly staff keep us coming back. The hotel has always been quiet and kept up nicely. The pool and hot tub are great after a long day skiing. Plenty of food, shopping and ski shops nearby.
I have been staying at the Cotton Tree Inn for our occasional trips to Salt Lake City, for close on to 20 years now. It has mostly been above our expectations, and all things human being flawed, on occasions when they fell short, the employees rose to the occasion and made things right. I find no reason to waste my time checking out other places, when my time is limited. In my mind, the Cotton Tree Inn is what Best Western is all about.
The room was nice, clean and recently remodeled, nice furnishings and all facilities were in top working order. The staff are great! Easily accommodating requests, and shuttles to nearby businesses. Decent breakfast, and awesome hot fresh made cookies at night. Would stay here again, and this is my second stay in a year. It was quiet, and clean, all good!
I have done business with school groups and family trips for 18+years, and have never been disappointed by my choice to stay here. The location is good for walking to good restaurants or shopping, and is in a good place for driving to SLC or Utah Valley.
It looks to be very recently remodeled with everything being nice, new and cozy. I would highly recommend staying here next time you are in the Salt Lake City area. Close to freeway, 30 minutes to 4+ ski resorts, wonderful conference rooms and a friendly staff. Thanks for everything Angie!
My brother and I made a two day road trip from San Diego to purchase a vintage dirt bike. It was important to find a hotel that was pet friendly which BWCTI is. The free breakfast offered a variety of breakfast staples such as pastries, meat, eggs, potatoes, etc. Juices, two types of coffee service, hot tea or hot chocolate are also featured. When the infamous inversion layer and fog lifted, we were given the additional treat of a spectacular view of the snow covered mountains. Sweet.
There are several nice hotels to stay at in Sandy and this hotel - although it is clean - isn't one of them. The walls and floors are not insulated for sound at all. We were in room 232 and the first night there was a large family party going on in the conference room right below us, loud music, kids running around everywhere. It seemed to quiet down around 11:30 and we were happy for that. About 2 am we were awakened to loud cheering and loud banging like something was banging on the floor below us. We waited about 15 minutes to see if it would stop but to no avail, it was just getting louder so we called down to the front desk to see what could be done, they acted like they had no idea what we were talking about but said they would see what they could do. 30 minutes later and no change my husband went down to the conference room where the party was going on earlier, the family was playing basketball in the conference room! They apologized and said they do this every year and the hotel knows not to book the rooms over the conference room, that didn't help our situation much. My husband went to the front desk and they said it was a mistake and we shouldn't have been put in the room we were in but that there was nothing that could be done about it now. The family very cordially kept it down and we were finally able to go back to sleep around 4 am but a frustrating and unrestful night to say the least. The next day we left the hotel around 9:30 am. We got back to the hotel around 10 pm, opened the door to our room and found that we never received maid service, dirty towels on the floor, bed not made. My husband went down to the front desk to find out why and they tried to say that we must of had the do not disturb sign on the door, which we did not, but again there was nothing they could do about it now. When he voiced his frustration with all that had happened they said we would have to talk to the manager on Monday and acted put out that we were upset. They did offer to send fresh towels up but after waiting for an hour and no towels we had to call down and request them again, around 11 pm we finally got towels. We come out to the Sandy area about once a month and stay a weekend, we have stayed at many of the other hotels in the area and would recommend the Hilton Garden Inn, the Courtyard Marriot or the Country Inn and Suites but we will NEVER stay at the Best Western Cottontree in Sandy again nor ever recommend it.
I've been attending weekly meetings at this hotel for over a year. The service has been excellent! They have a video projector and screen. The room has been large enough to accommidate all the guests. This is a great place!
This is a great place for a business meeting!!! I've been pleased every week I come to this hotel for meetings. I have over 100+ hotel nights in the last 2 years and the hotel rooms are excellent with modern amenities. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. It is convenient to many local ski resorts and they offer discounted ski passes. Plan on staying or having your business meeting at this Best Western!!!
Stayed at the Best Western Cotton Tree Inn as a local getaway for my anniversary in November 2015. Had a great experience there. The staff was wonderful, the room was clean and comfortable and everything we wanted to do was close by. The girl who checked us in even told us "Happy Anniversary!" I wasnt expecting it because I only mentioned it during the booking several weeks before. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!
Comfortable, Clean, Professional environment for business meetings. Have been meeting there for years and love it. Angie Carnell is always quick to address any needs we have and the sound around us is always minimal, allowing us to concentrate.
I was in Salt Lake to attend a doll making workshop. The hotel was arranged by the Teacher. I was very pleased with the hotel and staff. Everyone was friendly and courteous. The shuttle to the surrounding areas was a great plus. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
This motel is about 15 minutes north of city center. It is clean, quiet and comfortable. Reasonably priced and offers good breakfast. Rooms were spacious, clean and had basic amenities. There's a restaurant across the street if you need a bigger breakfast than what is served at the hotel.
Everything was good to very good except the bed. In fairness we prefer hard beds so the pillow-top mattresses were a nightmare for us. Also mushy pillows. Breakfast was standard hotel scrambled eggs, undercooked pre-cooked waffles etc. but they do a nice job of keeping up with heavy demand for breakfast. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here.
I've stayed here a couple of times for skiing and its a great hotel. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and its close to everything. However, the internet capacity is very limited. I tested it a number of times and the download speeds are only about 5 MBPS, compared to about the 50 MBPS or more that most people get at home. This may work for casually browsing websites, but was not enough capacity for me to log on to my encrypted work VPN. So, while this is a good hotel, it may not be the right hotel for you if you need to maintain connectivity for work.
I stay at best western hotels often for business and this is a really enjoyable facility, it is clean and has a spacious room and lots of places to relax, from an indoor pool to a great looking relaxing lobby and dining area. The areas between floors are quiet and the construction design keeps the noise down. The views from the window are nice overlooking the city.
Hotel was everything we could ask for, at a reasonable price. Looked at the ski resorts and could not afford to stay unless we put our children on cots for the week (they are 19 and 21 years old). Glad we chose this hotel, it was clean, neat, easy to get to, close to the ski resorts, Salt Lake city, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was included so that saved us some money (especially with four people). Coffee and hot cocoa were available anytime. Pool and hot tub were open 24 hours. Hotel saved us money on lift tickets and ski rentals. Staff was courteous and friendly. We needed to stay about six hours past check out time and staff was able to accommodate our needs for a fair price.
Friendly helpful staff, smoke free rooms. Warm food cooked fresh, coffee available 24hrs. Clean pool, hot tub, workout room, family friendly. Great location to mall, restaurants, highway. Room was cleaned daily, clean bathroom,
We stayed here to ski Alta. The location was great. The king bed was actually pretty big compared to other chained motels. Fresh baked cookies available every evening. No complaints, we enjoyed our 3-night stay.
It was a standard size room, but was clean and modern. The TV and Internet both worked great. We LOVED the breakfast and thought the selection was good for us (family of 3). We swam in the pool and really enjoyed that. The pool was clean but the water was very cloudy. The "shallow" end was pretty deep, so it was hard for our 6 year old to play because she couldn't stand even in the shallow end. It was still fun for kids.
I have stayed at this Hotel several times the rooms are clean and comfortable and I will most likely stay here again however for the first time I had to pay an incidental fee which I think is a joke, If a family is staying at several hotels on a vacation and everyone charges a hundred Dollar incidental fee that greatly cuts into funds needed for a family vacation you have all my info no need in incidental fees. Also put the micro-wave back in the breakfast area the food don't stay warm the microwave was a great way to reward your breakfast no one likes cold eggs or waffles, also the last two times I have stayed here the Hot tub is Luke warm. These of course are a all things this is a great place to stay but these few things would make it much better
We were just in town for the night and needed a comfortable bed and to be close to our business hook ups. The location fit the bill and so did the bed. All staff was cordial and willing to answer any directional questions we had and were very helpful.
Great Experience with this Hotel. The room was very nice with comfortable bed. The internet was the best in the room. The breakfast was a real breakfast with juices, eggs, sausages, waffles, etc. The shower knob to turn on the shower was a little hard, but all in all it was great. Thank you for a nice time and a shuttle trip that had a very favorable driver. God Bless you all.
Our fourth-floor room (434) was well away from traffic, off at the end of the top floor, and we had a very quiet night. Pros: very good bathroom fan, you can take a hot shower and not have a steamed up mirror afterwards. The breakfast was a good spread - nice scrambled eggs, sausage, mini waffles, oatmeal, fruit and pastries. Good, and free, coffee in the lobby. Con: AC/heating system fan is somewhat loud; it woke me a couple of times, but overall I was able to get a good night's sleep and I am a light sleeper.
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and it is not the first time because I love it here. The hotel recently remodeled the carpet and tile and it looks awesome... nice earth tone colors without the busy look. This hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff has always gone out of their way to accommodate our needs and they always have a warm smile. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family any day without hesitation!
The Best Western is close to I-15 but with enough trees and buildings between the hotel and the highway to buffer the noise. There is some shopping available near the hotel with a mall nearby. If you are exiting I-15 southbound to access the hotel make sure to use the rightmost available left turn lane as you will need to make a right turn at the first traffic signal beyond the interstate. The hot items available for breakfast vary from day to day. For example, on one day the eggs were hard boiled, the other two days of my stay the eggs were scrambled. The meat varied from bacon to sausage to none. All 3 days had mini waffles.
This hotel looks great, nice big comfy bed & clean room. We had a terrible night sleep every night we were here (3) and mostly because of the air con. The first night we left it on all night, it would turn on and warm the room back up every time it dropped, and it was so noisy every time we did it. We turned the fan down to low and it didn't help. The next night we turned it off, the room stayed warm but the air was so stale it was hard to breathe. The last night was pretty much the same. Also, someone got up early to go to the toilet and I woke to the sound of pee and the system running after flushing. We're always grateful for a place that has a free breakfast. We've stayed in a lot of places that have them. This one was not that good. Everyday was scrambled eggs, a meat, potatoes & waffles in the hot section. There was also oats, cereals, fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels & pastries. Every morning the eggs were dry, the waffles were either dry or doughy, one day the potatoes were dry, the pastries were dry on the first day too but Sunday morning they were much better. The left side of the toaster was not as good as the right side too. There was also one day where the room was cleaned but the tea, coffee and towels not replaced. Normally I don't mind when there's a notice saying they are enviro friendly & saving the planet one towel at a time but in this case, they did it once properly & not again. Upon check-out the clerk asked "so I'll just charge your room to the credit card you gave us?" Ah NO, it was fully paid upfront on Expedia thanks!
For resting between work shifts, quiet, and very clean. resturants nearby are quality and very close, within walking distance. Homeless people did have a roadside sign asking for monies, which is undesirable. BW goes to gret lengths to keep this property maintained and free of visual structural damage. No graffiti here, it was great to stay and is always a great pleace to spend time. Just a bit of concern here for this review 200 characters before I can click out of this page. No wonder no one like to do these surveys.
I was very impressed with Best Western Plus Cotton Tree. I was traveling by myself for a few days and while my husband was in Salt Lake City. I loved the Safe feeling of the area. (I did not have this at my husbands hotel (The Raddison) in Salt Lake). I loved that the mall was within walking distance and Everything that I needed or wanted was centrally located, The rooms were clean. Indoor pool was great and they had a great breakfast everyday and drinks available all day. The staff was warm and friendly also. I would highly recommend
We brought a large High School group to the Hotel. The staff were very helpful and assigned separate floors for our students which made it easier to keep rules in place for our group. Thanks for always coming through for your group.
Was really pleased with my night's stay there in the SLC area. The room was clean and spacious. The day I was there a lot of high school kids were staying in the facility but generally the noise was reasonable. During breakfast some lady with young children made a horrible mess in the dining area, and some staffer saw it and immediately went to work cleaning up the mess without anything being said. Thanks for the attention to detail.
This is a rather new hotel, with beautiful decoration. Good location surrounded by shopping mall. The hotel also provides free shuttle to anywhere within 5 miles from the hotel. Free Wifi and free continental breakfast, all made our staying comfort and excellent.
The room was wonderful with such a friendly staff and so wonderful. The breakfast was wonderful and it seemed really too good to be true. I highly recommend anyone to stay here whether family, business, friends or solo!
When I reserved the room it stated it had a private balcony but there was none. There was also no microwave in the kitchenette. The room was pretty nice otherwise but these two issues were a bit disappointing.
No special reason to choose this hotel for your Salt Lake City area stay. Rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. The breakfast food and breakfast seating area are below average and the air conditioning in that space was icy. The indoor pool was clean, small and highly chlorinated. The outdoor seating was accessible only via the pool. It would have been nice to connect it to the breakfast area somehow. Pleasant staff.
Pleasant environment, convenient location for the work I needed to do. I appreciated that the staff were always ready and willing to take care of any request. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 15 years. I never consider staying at some other location. This is always my first and only choice.
family trip, could not get table for breakfast, some rude guests who took table i removed items for us to use and went to get someone to clean and they took it. Endend up going to local Dennys, otherwise great location and great view of mountains.
We have just had 3 nights at this terrific BW in Sandy...and totally recommend it. We requested a quiet high floor room with balcony which is what we were allocated when we arrived. The room was quiet, spacious, and had a nice aspect with a view of the mountains. Decor was lovely, and the beds had quality white quilts which made the room look very classy. The room had a minifridge, coffee maker etc, nice quality toiletries, and everything was clean and worked well. The TV was a large flat screen TV, and the reception was true high definition...fantastic (lots of hotels have the large TV's but don't seem to have them adjusted properly for the format or pay the extra for HD). Breakfast was included..fairly typical American hot breakfast..and coffee was available in the foyer at all hours (with proper hot cups, not those awful white polystyrene cups). Parking was easy with heaps of room on the property. The setting is very nice too, and there is easy access to shopping, eating places etc. We'd love to stay again and would definitely recommend the hotel to others.
This hotel is in a great location with lots of food and shopping near by. The beds are comfortable and clean, large T.V., roomy well lit bathroom, and a sliding door to a deck. I would stay there again.
Very nice Best Western. Great location, with good selection of restaurants close by. Very comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was only so so, but would stay there again. Staff was friendly and courteous.
