the beds was bad could not sleep toss and turned all night . and pillows were like flat lay your head on then felt like nothing there . then when i pulled in there was a Biden campaign sign in the entrance . the front counter lady was sitting in the lobby with some guy when we walked in we had our bag with us and sit there i thought it was a couple not a worker then ask if we were checking in

Have stayed here many years. This was the first year parking was so bad. If you leave and come back later in the day you can't park anywhere. They rent out rooms to construction workers (2 to a room) each with a vehicle and take up all the spaces. When we were checking out I mentioned something to the desk clerk. She shrugged her shoulder at me and that was it! I told her they need to make accommodations for everyone to park not just some. Cars were unsafely parked all over the place.

I do apologize for the parking inconvenience you incurred during your visit. Unfortunately we know this is a problem and are working to find a solution for everyone. We took the construction crew when the pandemic first started and we had no one travelling and staying at the hotels so we at least had some business. Now that everyone is beginning to travel and we are busy we are trying to come up with a way to make everyone happy.

I expect better when I stay at a Best Western. There were not enough spaces in the parking lot. We were told we had to park our motorcycle up on the porch. When you pay $130 a night you expect a parking spot. On the bright side the grab and go breakfast was good.

I just spent 4 nights there ..the hotel was good the staff were nice .we however were disappointed by many other things..the loud people screaming and making way to much noise late at night ..the lack of parking because of all the construction workers..the drinking in the lobby at 7am so we didnton bother to get breakfast or coffee there . The pool not being open and not knowing this before hand ..the only reason I choose this hotel was because it had a pool but in reality with all the creepy drunk construction workers I wouldn't had used it any way.i sent.an email to best western upon our arrival about the pool being closed..still havent responded. I wanted to leave the next day after the drunkenness and noise and no pool but I already paid so I didnt want to loose my $350+ that was already paid.. Would I choose this place again likely no ..I feel like I should be compensated for the uncomfortable surroundings and no pool but again no response from the email I sent on day 1 of being there !!

I had reservations at this Best Western for three nights. My future son in law and I were here in town to do some fishing. This is a yearly trip for us. When we arrived, we were surprised to see that there was no parking available. The parking lot was full of a construction companies trucks. There were also trucks parked on the grass and in the handicap spaces. When I went into the Front Desk, I was told that they booked two of the companies guys to each room and each of them had their own truck. They were there for two months and parking was a problem. I was told that I could park across a busy 4 lane highway (million dollar hwy) on a tractor supply parking lot. I declined as I thought it was dangerous to attempt to cross this busy highway. I was then told that I could park at the ford car dealership that was next door. When I asked if this had been approved by the ford dealer, I got no response. I ended up parking in a line of new ford pickup trucks and was worried that my vehicle would be towed. We left early the next morning and returned that night to find the same situation. I parked on the car dealers lot again. This time someone else was working the desk and told me that I should not be parking there. Luckily someone had left the lot and I was able to bring my vehicle over. On the third evening we arrived back before all of the construction people came in. We eventually left for dinner and had the same issues upon our return. Luckily again someone was leaving and we got a spot near where the construction guys were in a group drinking beer. My future son law went on into our room and I made a call while i sat there in my vehicle. The construction guys behavior was appalling to say the least. Beside the drinking and smoking, they were throwing out some choice swearing. To make matters worse, they were using the parking lot to urinate on. I think what upset me most was the fact that there obvious families with children coming and going from the lot at the time. The parking lot was littered with cigarette butts the next morning and several of the workers were in the lobby drinking beer at 7:15 am. Bottom line is that the rooms rates are not cheap. A person should not have to see this type of activity on the parking lot along with the smell of urine. A customer should also not have to park across the street or on a ford car lot when staying because there are too many vehicles. This is not a motel 6, it is a best western plus. I stay there because of that. I brought all of these issues up with the manager who denied knowing that any of it was going on. I would certainly avoid this place and book at the holiday inn. They are going to be having this parking issue for the next two months.

I am so sorry that you were not happy with your stay at our property. Unfortunately and fortunately at this time we do have several large working crews staying with us. The parking does become an issue at some times and we are working with the company to have the guys move their cars/trucks to the worksite. They just checked in last week on June 11 so we didn't realize there was going to be an issue and have been working with them to resolve this problem. The guys usually do hang out in the lot cooking on grills and things and we were not aware of the urination at the point that I spoke with you. There are guys working day shift and night shift. I did speak with the supervisor about this issue and it will be addressed immediately. I did refund and entire nights stay for you so I hope that made up for some of the unpleasantness that you had incurred. This is definitely not the norm at our hotel and we are trying to recoup some of our loss due to the Covid 19 therefore we decided to have this crew stay with us. Usually we have plenty of parking and a cleaner lot. Once again I do apologize for this inconvenience. We hope you will allow us another opportunity to better serve you.

Brianna the front desk girl was a breath of fresh air! She was very friendly and helpful. I have never felt so welcome and comfortable at any other hotel. You can tell that the hotel staff worked very well together from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance. I am not sure who the manager is, but they are doing an excellent job here. Hopefully they will consider Brianna the next runner up. Our room was in the back of the hotel over looked by a beautiful church steeple. A true blessing to be here. Beautiful grounds and beautiful clean rooms. I would highly recommend a peaceful stay at this location.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and affordable.The hotel staff are exceptionally nice. if you are looking for a clean and quiet place to bring your family this is the place. Also the breakfast is good and the coffee is delicious.

Welcoming staff with great suggestions on where to see some super sights, The elk herd was fantastic, The other sights were wonderful as well. from the sky box at Mount Jewett, to Decker's Chapel. The places of chain saw carvings were a sight to see. Will return again and recommend this place as a place to visit.

We came from Virginia to see our kiddos and meet the Grandbabies. Overall stay was great. The room was nice. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was good. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I just wanted to get away and see the Elk. Didn't decide to go until Monday and nothing was available in Benezette so glad Best Western could accommodate our one night with a king size bed and breakfast!

Staff was very helpful got us checked right in. Rooms were nice, breakfast was good. Near restaurants and stores and shopping. This is a nice place to stay you did not have to drive far for entertainment.

As a traveler who stays in hotels for approximately 80-100 nights a year for work, I found this hotel to be average at best. I am a Best Western Rewards member. I was concerned when coming to this area because, frankly, there is not a lot to choose from in the Saint Mary's area. I arrived to find that the hotel's outward appearance was nothing fancy. I typically do not seek out Best Western properties because their app is difficult to use and I haven't found their properties to be on par with some other hotel chains. This one did not change that perception. It was apparent from the trucks in the parking lot that this hotel was filled up with mostly gas/pipeline workers. I entered the lobby to find that these individuals had tracked mud all through the lobby despite the computer made signs on the doors to not wear muddy boots in the hotel. I approached the front desk to check in and the interaction was all business. No recognition as a rewards member at all. I found the room clean yet unspectacular. There was one spot on the floor where there was a significant hole in the floor under the carpet. I could feel it when walking over it. In addition, the shower seemed to be one of those where they set a new shower stall over an existing one. As I stood in the shower, i could feel the shower floor moving beneath me as if there were two floors and one was broken. Would I go back here? you pretty much have to because there isn't much else to choose from. That's the only endorsement I can give it, to be honest. There is no incentive, apparently to being a Best Western Rewards member and the hotel itself is nondescript unfortunately.

We have stayed at this Awesome Hotel when we have been up to see the Elk at Benezette. They were awesome with the extra needs we had that weekend with me disability. We will stay there again when we go up.

clean and tidy room, with staff that was friendly and helpful. I needed a place to stay for one night during some holiday traveling, and this turned out to be very close to my destination. It made the perfect place to be.

Great rooms & great service from the hotel staff. We always stay at the Best Western when we are in St Mary's, PA. We very glad they were open. Breakfast was great with many of breakfast foods & breakfast drinks available either to eat in the dining room or take back to your room.

Full Breakfast = Bagels w/ cheese and some scrambled egg & bacon pieces...Worst "full" breakfast I've ever seen. Plumbing = When someone runs water/flushes toilet in the middle of the night, you hear it, noisy enough to wake me out of a dead sleep. Shower head = water miser = hi pressure air induction spray head that uses minimal water, took forever to get wet, this thing blows more air than water. Red Buick parked in parking spot closest to door with Stoltz Ford decal on back, Everytime I noticed it parked there, a certain white haired woman was working the front desk on 2nd shift. Parking lot = very small, full of work trucks that were too big to be using such a small parking lot. Price = $116 was charge per night, probably worth about $86 AC filters were filthy & caked with dust. Sprinkler head in middle of room had big glob of dust hanging from it. Lamp shades and light fixtures under shades were caked with dust. Refrigerator compressor was extremely noisy, woke me from a dead sleep on several occasions over several nights. Noisy room doors = this place is full of gas wellers and pipeliners who start their day @ 5am and don't come back until 7pm, so I was woke up by slamming doors every morning between 5am & 5:30am due to theses inconsiderate stupid idiots letting their doors slam. Doors should be quite close, I've seen & not heard these in other hotels. Internet = Spotty at best, & then slow when it did work, seemed to be slowest during peak times. Footprints & unknown fluids on headboard = noticed right before going to bed the 1st night that there were footprints on the headboard & some type of fluid run marks on the 1 bed, I got a nitrile glove & used a wash rag and washed it off, but slept in the other bed. Mud in the hallways & stairwells from all the Gasholes! 0 stars not an option, so giving it a 1

I apologize for the problems you incurred during your visit. Our hot breakfast items vary daily so that we may offer a variety to our guests. Some days we do have the bagel toppers which a lot of people do like and other days we have sausage patties, bacon, or ham slices, egg patties, western or cheese omelets. We are a hotel and we do have a lot of different guests who work all kinds of shifts and people here visiting the local elk herd or here for work at one of the local factories or people just visiting the area. We have people coming and going at all different times of the day and people trying to sleep during the day. Our staff works hard to provide quality service to all of our guests. I would hope you would allow us another opportunity to better serve you.

We stayed here while visiting Elk County. It received good reviews on Trip Advisor so we thought we would try it. The hotel did not disappoint. We were greeting by a woman at the front desk, I think her name was Barbie, but anyway, she was friendly and funny. She was baking chocolate chip cookies and gave us first dibs on the warm cookies that came out of the oven! What a welcome! (We found the sign on the front door as we came in funny too. It read: No muddy boots in the lobby...it must be a problem, LOL!) The parking lot does not have a lot of parking and the spaces are kind of spaced out strangely, but we were able to find a spot. Our hotel room was clean and spacious. The bathroom had new tile that looked like wood and the TV was huge. Room also carried a fridge and microwave. It was quite comfortable for the evening. In the morning, the breakfast is in the lobby area. There are a few tables, and I could see it getting crowded in there, but Friday morning, wasn't busy at all. The food consisted of egg omelets (with cheese) and bacon, and waffles you make on your own - that was fun and very tasty - yogurt and bagels and pastries and muffins, cereals, hard boiled eggs, and toast. Various juices and drinks. It was all good and plentiful. We would stay at this hotel again should we find ourselves back in Elk County!

We stayed here for our first visit to elk county. First of all we were greeted warmly upon check in. Our room was very clean and ready when we arrived. Only thing awkward is a mirror facing you on the bathroom door while you are using the toilet. Quite funny actually! Breakfast was great and everyone was accommodating. The location of this place is also great! It is pretty close to everything you need.

Stayed at this hotel MANY times over the years. Looks like it was recently refurbished which was a nice thing but the maid failed to service our room after the first night. When I reported this to the desk clerk she simply said "do you need anything?" More than a little disappointed this time!

I am so sorry that the housekeeping staff missed your room during your visit. I will be checking with the housekeeping manager to see what the issue was and how to prevent this from happening again. If the housekeeping staff was gone for the day, the only thing the front desk would be able to do is to get you more towels and things. Unfortunately they would not be able to leave the desk to clean your room. I would hope you would allow us another opportunity to better serve you.

Called at the last minute and Jessica at the front desk was very friendly and quickly had us set up. When we arrived were checked in very quickly. Jessica was vet friendly and helpful and even offered us use of the conference room where we could all sit and play cards. In the morning good breakfast selection and the host was again very friendly. Will definitely stay again.

The first room I was given reeked of mold as soon as I walked in the door. I have severe allergy to mold therefore I requested another room immediately. I was initially told there were no other rooms to transfer me to. But then the desk clerk switched me with someone who hadn't arrived yet. The second room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke and stale air but was better than the first room. Then I took my shoes off while unpacking and realized the floor was damp. Even the beds felt damp. Yet the A/C was on; guessing condensate moisture must have been dripping on the carpet. The longer the unit ran, the damper the carpet got. I have back issues so the rock hard beds didn't help and neither did the very low toilet. The toilet rocked when I sat down/got up and I'm not a heavy person. This is not what I expected from a 3 star rated hotel. This place is in need of some facilities mgmt.

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus in St Marys, up on our arrival we saw LAURA whom we met 2 years ago she checked us in and made arrangements to meet us later as her Uncle was in a western movie '3:10 to Yuma" and was gonna show my husband George pictures as it's one of his favorite movies he was on cloud nine she was AMAZING!! Our room was great the whirlpool was so relaxing and we slept great! CINDY who serves breakfast was AMAZING always smiling while serving delicious food and info like local sites to see, the elk web cam she is a beautiful soul and an asset to Best Western! Brent our night desk clerk was very nice too.

The accomadations were clean and staff friendly. When looking for it and you are coming north pay attention as the road creeps up on you. A note of mention Cinday and staff that manned the breakfast bar were great and helped my little ones with finding the thing they needed all with a smile. In closing I will return again next year.

I've stayed here a few times while in a nearby town on business. The folks are very nice here. The rooms are clean and neat, however, they lack a fresh-smell. This is important to me. I don't want my room to smell like 100 people were in here before me. The main paint color on three walls is a dark gold. They use the old CFL bulbs which have a darker light than LEDs. I prefer a light and bright room. The bathroom was clean and water pressure was good. The towels were ok. They have fresh-baked cookies in the evening. Maybe if they simply change the light bulbs it would improve the overall atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning is average.

Thank you so much for staying with us. We are working on changing all of our lighting over to the LED bulbs here at the hotel. We have just received the new hall way sconces and have to get them installed and the rest of the lighting will be following them soon. We are also in the process of switching all of our linens and terry. Everything has to be in place for Best Western by the end of spring 2019. Clean, comfortable. Staff very helpful. Checked in just before a huge downpour. 1st floor flooded-staff on duty did the best they could in the emergency. Had floors cleaned by morning. Deserve a bonus for their efforts

We recently had the privilege to stay at this hotel while exploring the PA Wilds! This was one of the cleanest hotels I have EVER stayed in!They lovingly accommodated 22 of us which included lots of kids! They were kind and helpful and even left us swim past the curfew! Fantastic breakfast, EXCELLENT coffee! We were chugging it! And the staff could not have been more friendly! Highly recommend this gem!

Our room was clean and large. Everything looked inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive. We were in town for a wedding which was less than a mile away so it was very convenient. The area is beautiful.

Stayed there for 4 days while granddaughter played in a Little League Tournament. There were a lot of ball player families staying and the staff made us feel so welcome. We often checked out in the morning then the team would win and then would check back in. Bambi, the night manager, was always friendly and always found us a room and a place to park our car as the parking lot was being paved. Breakfast buffet in the morning was always fresh and the staff was so friendly. I had never stayed at a Best Western before but I definitely will from now on.

My wife and I decided to stay here on our way to Michigan and this hotel was superb. The only thing we didn't know was that it was quite a distance away from I-80, but that didn't matter to us. We got friendly service from everyone we encountered during our one night stay. Our room was big and spacious and clean. We stayed here and got to relax. We almost never feel relaxed in a hotel, but this hotel definitely gave us that privilege. This hotel was a delight for us. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip through Pennsylvania via I-80

My husband and I just spent a short vacation in this area. Bambi checked us in and gave us info about the area and restaurants we might enjoy. She was right on! We were given a ground floor as requested. We trailered our motorcycle and there was plenty of space to park the truck and trailer. We loved the morning breakfast there. Each day something different was offered as hot option ie.small omelets, sausage, muffin halves with melted cheese and meat. I had the oatmeal every day! Cindy is so great at her job telling us where to find things and keeping the breakfast area cleaned. The coffee machine is on 24 hours and it was delicious!The staff here was super friendly and made us feel welcomed. Our room was very clean. The Pharmacopia citrus soaps and lotions are wonderful. This Best Western is A Plus in many ways. It made our sometimes rainy trip more comfortable.

Very clean, good location on the edge of town, very pleasant and helpful staff. It appears that the rooms have recently been updated. The rates were very reasonable as well. They also had very helpful literature about area attractions in the lobby.

This hotel is in a great location in St. Mary's. All of the staff is very helpful and friendly (especially Bambi). We were always greeted with a smile. Everything is clean and has been redecorated nicely. Room fridge worked great. Plus super quiet...we didn't hear anything outside of our room. Breakfast was very good and there was always plenty to choose from to satisfy everyone in the family. They always have snacks and cookies set out for the kids throughout the day, and if you need anything they are right on it. This is the only place we will stay when we go back there to visit.

Nice hotel but one day our bed was not completely made--just pulled the sheets up and were hanging down on floor (I took a picture) and the egg patties at breakfast leave a lot to be desired. We will stay here again.

Accommodations met all of our needs. Good bedding, great breakfast, all amenities. Staff are the shining stars here, very welcoming and hospitable. Loved the staff, they were absolutely pleasant. Location wise, perfect. Only two minute to downtown St Mary's or any local restaurants. Loved the peace and quiet of the location. Sitting in the lobby, there is a breakfast nook with windows, my son and I had our favorite moment there. We were sitting playing a game when we heard the sound of birds singing. Very tranquil and relaxing.

This was my first stay and for only one night but if I'm ever back in this part of the state, I'll definitely book a room here again. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice expansive countertop in the bathroom. Easy location to get into and out of. Nothing fancy here, folks, but for the price, you can't beat it.

We visit Elk County every year during September or October and always stay at the Best Western. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is great, there is 24 hour coffee available, and it's a 20 minute ride to the best viewing areas for elk!

This was my third stay at this hotel. It's always clean and the hotel staff are always friendly and efficient. The rooms are comfortable and decorated nicely. The breakfast is appreciated and there is a decent variety. I will stay here again when I'm back in town.

After a booking snafu with Expedia, got settled in for the evening. Room very comfortable, staff at front desk very nice to work with. Full cable TV, and WiFi works well. Did not partake of breakfast, but aromas were tantalizing. Great area for the "elkaholics". Straub Brewery tours available just across town. Shopping, dining nearby.

The room itself was clean and a good size although the beds and pillows left something to be desired. In the morning my sister and I went down to breakfast at 6am and there was a documentary about murders on the tv. We were the only guests down there at the time and asked if we could change the channel. The man working sighed and complained that he'd been watching this show all morning, but he did give us the remote. Then he asked politely if we'd had enough to eat and proceeded to tell us that he took care of the breakfast because the day girl hates doing it. It was then I noticed he wasn't wearing any shoes! Just prancing around in socks while preparing the food. As a person with a culinary degree and years in customer service, I was shocked and disgusted. I would not recommend this hotel until some additional training has been given to staff.

I stayed at this hotel while in this area on an extended motorcycle tour. We used the hotel as our night base while riding various routes in the area during the day. The facility was up to date and clean and offered a hot breakfast each day. The room rate was very attractive considering the good facility amenities and condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. My only complaint was that there was no guest laundry and I was running out of clean underwear.

We booked a block of rooms here for my niece's wedding and were very happy with our selection. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were very nice and clean. The fitness room was small but they had good quality equipment. The only issue during our stay was the thermostat in my parents' room, as it got very warm and we had trouble adjusting the temperature down. But that was a very minor inconvenience and I'm sure had we said anything at the time, it would have been addressed quickly. We enjoyed the breakfast selections, and appreciated the coffee/tea/hot chocolate available during the day. I would definitely stay here again!

When booking a hotel on Expedia, every hotel in town was booked except this one which made me a bit nervous. There were quite a few rooms remaining so I booked it in case we couldn't get a room for the night. When we arrived it almost seemed closed, the parking lot was so empty, but it wasn't. We were promptly checked in, took our belongings to our room which was really nice. The hotel was quiet (as it remained mostly empty) and we slept well. The complementary breakfast was okay, standard for a hotel. So I couldn't figure out why people weren't booking here, I would highly recommend it.

Clean ,great staff, fine experience. Staff was Friendly and ready to assist with our needs. Room was clean and well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast items were good quality and a great variety from fresh fruit to hot eggs and waffles.

This Best Western is great. Wii be back love this motel second time in two months. Love Saint Marys PA and taking time off work to go here for rest and relaxation. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great friendly and caring staff.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear the TV and conversations in the room next door and you can hear the doors being shut for the rooms on the same floor. The room was very dirty. I found a moldy peanut butter cracker under the HVAC unit and there was much dust behind the bed.

Were in town for one day and needed a place to stay. We've stayed at other places in town and decided to give this place a try. The room was very nice with some nice upgrades (i.e. bathroom) and was very clean. The staff was very helpful if not always enthusiastic and the hotel was nearly full but very quiet. My biggest surprise was the free breakfast. It didn't offer a lot of choices but what they had was more than enough and very good. They even had a waffle iron with choices of batter and a build your own oatmeal station. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but you don't see that at other hotels. Very happy and satisfied with the experience.

Clean, up to date, quiet, very pleasant, peaceful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We travel in Pennsylvania often and we make note of good places to stay and eat. This is on our list for a repeat and there is also very good dining nearby.

After a really long day of driving we came up on this hotel and were very glad to stop for the night. The night shift lady at the desk was pleasant and professional. The room we got was very large, nicely appointed and had a large enough bathroom that my wife and I could easily get going in the morning at the same time without being in each other's way. The bed was excellent, comfortable, and important for both of us the climate system was nearly silent. We got the rest we needed and were treated in a friendly and professional manner when we checked out. On the whole, I would be happy to stay there again if we're traveling through.

Very noisy hotel, windows and walls are very thin, hallway noise, parking lot noise and noise from other rooms can be heard clear as day. Garbage truck came to empty dumpsters in parking lot at 2:30 a.m., very loudly! Breakfast offered was served cold, with no selection variety.

I am sorry that you were not pleased with your recent stay to our Best Western Plus property in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately we can not control the times when the garbage people empty the dumpster. As for our breakfast offerings. We always have a hot egg and meat item as well as make your own waffle station. We offer a variety of breads, bagels, and English muffins as well as several different pastries and donuts. We have lots of different cereals and hot oatmeal to choose from with a variety of toppings to add. We have regular and greek yogurts and hard boiled eggs. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend. We attended a wedding and were part of a group staying at this hotel. The hotel was comfortable and accommodating. Our only complaint was that the blanket wasn't very warm.

This hotel was centrally located for my activities. It was clean and was supplied. The staff was one of the best I've come across. They were friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. The rooms were very roomy. The bed was a little hard for me but, that's personal preference. That' why the very good for the sleep quality. Even though my room faced out towards the road, I never really heard the traffic. I highly recommend this hotel.

Found this Hotel to meet or go beyond my expatiations, except in one area. The internet connection was very slow and at times wouldn't even connect...ended up using my own Hot Spot. In all other areas the staff went out of their way to help when needed.

What you would expect from a Best Western. Clean and tastefully decorated rooms. Hot breakfast with a compliment of cereals, toast bagels and fruit. Too bad the only restaurant in walking distance is a Wendy's but plenty of options within a short drive.

Spent one night here on a road trip. Nothing outstanding, but no surprises: check in was quick and friendly. Room was clean, bathroom had all the usual amenities. Room was hot when we first arrived and air conditioner was loud. But after it cooled off we just ran the fan and that was quiet. Hot water always with good pressure. Bed comfy and staff quickly provided an extra blanket when asked. Breakfast was a bit above the usual free breakfast buffet in that there were some protein choices: hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, a western-typed omelet which was ok. (The side for the eggs was Canadian bacon but VERY processed. This was the only NOT good item). Another positive: fruit — fresh bananas. Also waffles, pastries, cereal, juice, coffee. Overall a very satisfactory stay. Would stay again if in the area.

Came to st Mary's for a wedding got this hotel last minute and was not disappointed. Hotel is pretty standard very clean large rooms and big bathrooms. But where they really shine is customer service. Every time I walked down the hall the staff would remember my name and ask if I needed anything. And the continental breakfast is awesome. Not just bagels and toast they had all sorts of options and hot food. Will definently stay here next time I'm in town. GREAT JOB!!!!!

Very noisy like there isn't enough insulation in the ceiling. Could hear the people stomping around. When they took a shower it sounded like they were coming through the ceiling.Desk clerk not very friendly until finding out we were a rewards member. Breakfast lady was very friendly and welcoming.

Stayed here two nights for some elk watching in nearby Benezette. King size beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was one of the roomiest we ever had. Wifi was very fast and free. Complimentary breakfast could have been better.

Had a great time chasing after the illusive elk bulls and staying in the area at the Best Western Plus. The room was very spacious, the bathroom was king sized and everything was clean. In the morning, the checkout was effortless. We used the express checkout. Also, there were many restaurants in the area. From casual fastfood to sit down family styled dinners and steakhouses. The front desk will point you in the right direction. Enjoyed the stay!

Just an ok spot to spend overnight. Room itself was clean and updated but this hotel was clear renovated on a budget. Most of the clientele were construction type work crews working in the area. Only minimal places to eat in town. Only fast food in the immediate area.

Our first trip to Benezette area to see & hear the famous elk. Accommodations there seemed a bit too rustic for us so chose to stay 20 minutes away in St. Mary's. Found BW to be comfortable, very adequate, excellent staffing all around, complimentary breakfast had nice assortment of choices.

Clean lobby and rooms. Place is well-located. Close to fast food. Desk staff inattentive - seemed to be sitting in lobby lounge watching TV most of the evening. Housekeeping staff thoughtful. Great shower! Breakfast decent - staff member looked for additional greek yogurt for us, after the last one had been taken from the buffet.

We stay at this hotel a couple of times a year. Facility is clean and staff goes above & beyond to make our stay comfortable. Internet is slow, and there is no guest laundry, but otherwise we always have a comfortable stay and will continue to stay at this hotel when we return to the area!

I go to St. Marys usually once a year and generally stay at Best Western. The staff are always friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and attractive. There is always a good breakfast selection. Easy check-in and check-out and I've never experienced any problems.

Great staff! Laura the manager let us keep our motorcycles under their awning and gave us some Windex to clean our glasses. Her upbeat attitude and emphasis on service is hard to find in some employees today. Their breakfast was an awesome treat. Thanks!

Everything was very good, except the outdoor "heated" swimming pool. They need to keep it warmer. It was unusable the morning of checkout, as the temperature was too cool. Breakfast was good, as was both the breakfast coffee and in-room coffee. Staff was helpful and pleasant.

it was ok, you were adequate only, I will stay again but only because you have no competition. The only other place was Holiday Inn Express and we chose Best Western because they did not offer a AARP discount to us when booking.

hotel was very nice, clean and well maintained. check in and out was easy , as far as location it could be a little harder to get into during high traffic times . the breakfast was great many choices. Had to drive to resturants not safe walking .

Great place with nice rooms. Very pleasant and helpful staff! Great location if you are planning a trip to Bennezette to see the Elk. Just a 25 min. drive through beautiful hills and forests. My wife and I loved it!

This hotel is a fine hotel but there is literally nothing to do around it unless you are in the market for a Ford pick-up. Nothing in walking distance for food or libation. You are a prisoner of your hotel unless you want a free ride by the state police. Stay in town at the other hotel. You are so far on the outskirts that an orange jumpsuit would be a good choice of attire.

I am sorry that you were unhappy with your visit to our hotel. There are lots of things to do and see in the St. Mary's area. We have Decker's Chapel right across the street from our hotel as well as Wendy's restaurant and a Pizza Hut. Within a 2 mile radius we have lots of sit down restaurants available to choose from. Our local Straub Brewery offers daily tours as well as their "eternal tap" available for guests to visit. There are lots of hiking trails as well as the Clarion River for kayaking, canoeing, or tubing. The wild elk herd is approximately 20 miles from our hotel and they have a wonderful visitors center. I travel for work and usually stay Hilton or Marriott. I was pleasantly surprised with the clean, comfortable room. The staff is exceptional and are very welcoming. The price seems high for the location (I live in FL and can stay near Disney for less this time of year) but they have the lowest price in town for this area.

It was great. the staff was helpful did not know were to eat supper was told Hoss's was good and it was great. the Pizza Hut was close by for lunch. St Mary's is a great place to vist the Staub's beer tour was great an nearby

Best hotel for the value. Clean, comfortable rooms and breakfast also included. Wipe down towels for the motorcycle and lots to do and see in the area. Staff always helpful with dinner options and area places to see. Either on business or leisure, my choice.

needed fridge in rooms work out room was very good with having some dumb bells to use was great and when i come to town again i would stay there just for that and the people were great. so over all this is a nice place but room rate could be better for the diamond select people for sure.

Room was pleasant for the most part. Kids running up and down the halls was annoying. Noisy fridge was annoying as well. Room was not fully cleaned each day. Bed was made but garbage was not emptied nor toiletries replenished.

Very pleasant stay. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the parking lot and across to an open field. Angela and Bambi were very welcoming. Good hot breakfast (waffles, omelet and sausage patty) in clean breakfast area. Ordered pizza from Don's Pizza for delivery (another good option). Would like to return and drive the Elk Trail.

This hotel was just fine for a stay in St. Mary's. It's beyond the town a bit, so you have to drive. The driveway was a little awkward & the hotel isn't by anything - just a car lot. The breakfast was standard. Room was spacious & clean.

We offer so many different items on our breakfast bar. We have the hot Belgium waffle station, hot oatmeal with toppings, different types of bagels, English muffins, 2 kinds of bread, danishes and pastries, cereal, hot egg and hot meat items. I stood at the Best Western for a business for 4 days and the staff was wonderful they made you feel like family, the rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable, the only problem was the Internet did not work and i really needed it for work. Hotel and room was very clean and comfortable. The fitness center was well above average. Free breakfast is always a bonus, and the choices were more than adequate. Hotel staff was friendly and the price was quite affordable

My husband and I stayed here for one snowy night and every person we encountered at the hotel was friendly and personable. Our room was very clean and the free breakfast was very good. My husband and I come to St. Mary's about 4 times a year to visit friends as he grew up in St. Mary's. We used to stay at another hotel and were not really impressed. This is the first time that we stayed at the Best Western and I'm very glad we did. The front desk staff was very friendly when I checked in as my husband checked in later. The breakfast was wonderful with a great variety of items. I'm glad to say that this will probably be our new hotel to stay at in St. Mary's. Thanks for the hospitality and we'll see you soon.

All in All a great Hotel- customer service outstanding Rooms clean & comfortable bed Breakfast was average to good & even had soup in the evenings Downside would be noise level from other rooms as well as road noise if staying on the front side facing road 2 nights of not so sound sleep

A great place to stay in the Elk Country area. A little bit away from the elk sightings but was not crowded. Lots of places close by to get something to eat and things to do. Would stay here again when we go to this area.

The hotel is very nice and clean and has an updated look. The stay was quiet, no noisy neighbors. Staff was very helpful in recommending a restaurants and giving directions. They were also very king and courteous during the check in and check out process. I highly recommend staying here and will return next year to view the Elk!

We have stayed at this Best Western for several years, after going to a game in State College and on way home from seeing the elk in Bennezette. It is very easy to find, and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The staff has all been fantastic as well. I would highly recommend this Best Western!

Have been staying here for the past 10 years and have always found it to be clean and quiet. If you are going out to spot the Elk herds in Benezette, Pa., then you have about a half hour ride. A nice morning breakfast will welcome you.

Best place to stay when visiting the Benezette area to view elk and visit the elk visitor center. Located along Rt 255 in St Marys. The breakfast is good, the staff pleasant and the rooms clean. Retuants and gas located nearby.

My wife and I stayed here recently for the purpose of elk viewing in Benezette. The accommodations were very nice. They had a continental breakfast that was very good. If you need directions to nearby attractions just ask for a lady named Cindy, she was very helpful. All of the hotel staff were very friendly. We only wish the had a bigger parking lot.

We had a nice stay. This isn't a premium hotel, but it's not bad. You'll get what you pay for with the free breakfast. What distinguishes this hotel from the others in the area is the staff. The people behind the desk and the cleaning folks we talked to were all very polite and accommodating. We weren't treated this nice at other hotels around St Marys. We'll definitely be back.

I made this account just so I could review this establishment, and more specifically, a lovely employee named Cindy. I really didn't expect a budget hotel to have such quality accommodations, but I truly taken aback by the quality of service. It's obvious that the team members like Cindy take pride in what they do and it shows. I left feeling like I had more than just a pleasant stay, but genuine hospitality. Everything might have been wonderful but we didn't stay long enough to find out. As we pulled into the parking lot, a member of the staff came outside and sat on the bench near the front for a cigarette. We essentially had to walk no more than 25 feet in front of her to enter the hotel; she really couldn't have missed us and would have seen us pull in. There was nobody at the reception desk. We waited for several minutes, then called out "is anyone out back in the office". A patron came down to the front desk and said something like "I'm sure she will be right back". We waited another couple of minutes before the young lady who had been out smoking re-entered. She didn't even say sorry for keeping us waiting. If she had genuinely not seen us then she might have registered surprise at finding us waiting at the front desk. I guess finishing her cigarette was more urgent than tending to potential customers. They did not have available the type of room we really wanted, so we said we would check out the Holiday Inn. They could not be faulted for that because we were not sure where we would end up, that evening, so did not have a reservation. On our way out to the car, we both discovered that we had been eager to jump at the excuse not to patronize this establishment because of her inconsiderate actions. This hotel gets good reviews so I would not try to discourage others from staying there because of the one unfortunate incident we experienced.

We stayed here while on a western PA road trip and reserved two rooms. The front desk was quite helpful and gave us great tips on where to eat. St. Mary's is actually larger than I had pictured. We did not use the pool or any other amenities so I can not speak to those. The rooms where nice and comfortable. Breakfast was filling as well with the usual waffle maker, eggs and sausage etc. Breakfast server was also quite friendly and helpful. Overall had a pleasant stay and would not hesitate to stay again. Although, I did have an issue late at night with noise coming from the floor above us. I don't know what the people were doing, but they were running around the room and jumping and yelling. It was really late(or really early in the morning) and it did wake me and one of my kids up. I was too tired to deal with it, but apparently another annoyed guest got up and yelled at the people to quite down after this went on for some time. Not the hotels fault that a guest was unruly and this could happen anywhere, but this incident did not make me too happy in the sleep department. I was rather annoyed the next morning.

While visiting family, we chose to stay at the Best Western in Saint Marys. Our stay included breakfast. Each morning we were greeted by Cindy. She was amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed and engaged us (and my toddler grandchildren) in friendly conversation. The front desk staff was very personable as well. Bambi greeted us each time we passed through the lobby and made sure we had everything we needed. These two ladies are the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with at any hotel I have ever stayed in. They made us feel like family, not guests.

Clean, Friendly and a super staff, we just happened to find the hotel on a motorcycle trip. The Breakfast was awesome and so was the lady taking care of the layout. The rest of the staff was friendly, helpful and greeted us with a smile. The site was clean and well kept. We would have liked just a little heat in the outdoor pool. We would stay at this location again if we return to the area.

This hotel is quite dated and in dire need of a refresh. Location is also not the greatest if you want access to St Marys without having to drive. It does not have a restaurant attached to it. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent customer service, great hospitality. Very clean, and breakfast was included and was excellent!! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in this area. Pool and picnic area very nice surprise. Rooms are newly remodeled, spacious and nicely decorated.

This hotel is older, but very clean and well furnished. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The beds are comfortable and the baths more than adequate. Breakfast was nice and there were lots of choices. The best thing about this hotel is the attentive and professional staff. We were confronted by a drunken wedding party making lots of noise on our floor. The management dealt very directly with this problem, moving us up a floor and opening their conference center so the partying crowd could move off the sleeping floors and no longer disturb the guests. From check-in to check-out, we received excellent service. Next time in this area we will certainly stay here.

We scored a hot tub room for under $100 ~ your results may vary. The place is clean and well-kept, room was very clean. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly, Cindy was all over a terrific Sunday breakfast...

Our large family stayed here March 4 through 6,2016, for a funeral in Emporium (our Mom); we'd traveled from Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and CA. Very nice rooms, comfortable beds, large bathrooms. Breakfast was good; lots of choices; the attendant was extremely kind, especially when we told her we were there for our Mom's funeral. Reception staff was nice, helpful. Location was good; restaurants nearby.

There aren't many hotel choices when traveling to his part of PA, but this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The room was very comfortable, had a great bed, nice bathroom, internet service was really good, and breakfast was the best! The first morning there were several hot breakfast sandwiches along with all kinds of breads to toast, muffins, donuts, and make your own waffles, cereals, etc. The second morning, there were cheese omelets as well as biscuits and gravy. One of the best breakfasts for a hotel I have experienced. Everyone is kind and friendly.

My room had three sources of noises: 1. The fridge in the room was quite noisy when it was on. 2. I stayed at the ground floor. Every time the guest at the room upstairs walked around, the sound of shoes and movements could be heard. That was quite annoying. Request for rooms at the top floor if possible. 3. The walls and doors are quite thin. So every sound along the hall, people closing doors could be heard.

I am so sorry that you encountered a lot of noise while you were visiting our hotel in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately the time you were visiting us was the same time as our local paper mill had their shut down and we had a lot of workers coming and going at all hours of the day and night. I know that is not an excuse, but please be assured that this is not the norm at our hotel. I hope that you would allow us another opportunity to better accommodate you during your next visit to our area.

We really liked the People working there and it was relaxing. The People working their were, like you knew them all your life. They Are The BEST!! We had a "Great Place To Park, Well lighted. A short walk to the entrance. And then we received a "Big Hello"!!

In town for a sales training. Company made a reservation at the Best Western Plus. Had a wonderful stay with great staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. The mattress was comfortable and had a good sleep, especially needed since was in training all day!

All of the staff were extremely helpful in when booking a room. Staff was pleasant at check-in and at check-out. The Hotel is conveniently located. The coffee and breakfast were great. I would stay here again!

The motel is located on the main street entering St. Marys from the south. Thus, there is a modest selection of restaurants and stores within a few miles of the motel. The building has three stories and the room entrances are from internal hallways. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The check-in and check-out procedures went smoothly. The room was spacious and clean with the typical appointments (see the motel's website). The wifi worked well. The bathtub/shower had a sturdy grab bar and a slip resistant base. The carpets appeared to be fairly new and helped suppress noise. Beyond the room, itself, there is an exercise room with a treadmill, recumbent bike, elliptical, free weights, and a bench. The weather was such that we didn't even inquire about the swimming pool. The breakfast was above average with hot eggs and a meat item. All the breakfast items listed on the motel's website were available. We had stayed at this motel a few years ago and our experience was good both times.

Fabulous, quiet hotel. Staff went well out of their way to make us feel at home. Rooms were spacious, décor was updated nicely. Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure was amazing. Breakfast was very good, with a good selection for different tastes. My husband and I were visiting the Elk County visitor's area, this was not too far away. Watch for the Elk!!

We were not in the room much, however, it was a nice room and did have a hot tub but we did not use it. The free breakfast was fine with ham & eggs and fruit and all of the other things that make a breakfast away from home nice. If I was in the area I would stay here again.

It is a very confortable hotel. I have stayed here a couple of times for business. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast is really good as well. My only "bad" experience I had was with the shower head when turned on it had too much water pressure. It felt like taking a shower on a car wash.

Very satisfied with stay, clean room, comfortable bed, quiet restful night, most important on my list when traveling. Good breakfast and courteous service. Would stay again. Easy access and secure parking.

This was my second time in recent years to stay in a Best Western and I must say very disappointed both times.The room smelled horrible, very musty and moldy. We were moved to another room and my only hope is they did not give that room to someone else. We were traveling with another couple who also requested a different room because of smell. Our second room had a dirty towel on the floor but at least it smelled better still sprayed the room with lysol. The front desk person was not the nicest or empathetic about our concerns.

Mattress were lumpy. Hair dryer didn't work. Only 1 bath towel provided. Shower curtain so flimsy it kept blowing into the tub. HVAC was noisy. Internet didn't work in morning. Ice bucket was full of melted ice from prior guest - no liner in it either. This was definitely not a "Plus" hotel. We stay at Best Western often when we travel. This one did not begin to compare to one we stayed at an earlier night on our trip. The cookies, however, were good.

This hotel offered every amentity possible for the small town we visited for a family wedding. The desk personnel were on duty 24 hours a day which was extremely helpful for our late arrival. We made use of the lobby for gathering with the rest of the family who were also staying there. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was in a central location and very easy to find. Thank you for providing this small town with the best in accomodations

Very quite place far enough away from traffic to be quite but close enough to be easy to find. Close to great resturants and close enough to the Elk to spend the night and then return to see the Elk again in the morning. Would diffentely stay again.

We were travelling to Washington DC and got this hotel on our way . the room was an standard room and very smelly . It seems someone smoke a lot and they sprayed after that. Even though we request Nonsmoking, It was around 1 am that we got our room and too tired to change it . The breakfast area was clean and they offer very nice food . the staff was very polite and professional . We left this hotel around 10 am and continue our road trip .

Stayed one night at the Best Western in St. Mary's PA. The room was very clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good, but it ended too early as I like to sleep in alittle when on vacation. I

This is a very nice motel. Our room was spotless and the staff at check-in and check-out we very friendly. They made us feel very welcome. It's close to the elk viewing areas as well as restaurants and shopping.
