"Great Pet Friendly place to stay with a complimentary breakfast"
Joe was very pleasant and helpful with getting us a pet friendly room for our rabbits. They even offered assistance with a cart to transport the rabbits to our room. Also the breakfast was deliciously prepared by Marcia. The waffles was the highlight of our morning.

"DUMP!!!"
Hotel reeks of marijuana and has untrained staff working there. There was so much noise that I had to call front desk 4 times until about 4:30 am. He didn't even know how to handle it. He would knock on their door and make even more noise. He didn't end up doing anything about them fighting and screaming all night. When contacted general manager he didn't want to give a refund and really didn't care about it at all. I contacted corporate and will definitely get this refund. I will avoid at all costs staying at this hotel. I would have had better sleep in my car.

"Questionable attendant actions"
The night desk attendant, while attempting to be helpful, presented us with unusual behavior. He was on his phone with a video call while checking in and took a photo of the PC screen when finished. It was uncertain to us as to what he photographed and to whether the person he was video calling could see our card details. When bringing this to the attention of the daytime desk attendant, there was no known reason for these actions. The daytime attendant was wonderful and helpful. There are no issues with the room. It was tidy and clean.

"Unclean dump"
Expect a 1-star experience and level of service if you plan on staying here. There was old food along the bed, dust over everything, a dripping faucet, a clogged sink drain, and a hole in the ceiling. And god help you if you want some coffee while staying here. Lukewarm burnt bean water.

"3 Sister's"
When we travel we expect clean rooms and great a bed. This hotel did both very well. The rooms were very spacious. At one time we had 5 large adults setting around watch the food network channel with room to spare. This hotel is close to I55 which can get you to any of the other highways in St. Louis. We had no problem going down town, to The Hill or Drews ice cream. Front desk was able to give us direction to a wonderful Mexican restaurant down the street. Another night of food coma. The staff on the 3rd floor was amazing as well, they made sure we had everything possible for our stay to be comfortable. Will be booking multiple rooms in June for the entire family visit.

"Breakfast"
Hot breakfast advertised 7 AM to 9 AM. Arrived at breakfast room at 8:40 AM. Attendant was cleaning dining room and stacking chairs. Informed attendant that they were out of some hot food items and she replied " that is it, no more being brought out".So I guess breakfast is 7 AM until they don't feel like preparing more, not 9 AM.

"Very nice hotel"
This was a last minute reservation and the staff was very helpful and got us in. The room was very clean and comfortable and they had a good selection on the breakfast bar. The hotel was convenient to where we were going.

"Great overnight stay on way home for Thanksgiving. "
We stayed overnight in room 201 which was extremely spacious. Hotel was quiet, conveniently located off I-55. Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Free breakfast was that...it was free. King room was $113 total, that included taxes. Check in & check out were a breeze. Would return.

I love the location. Close to friends, close to the highway for work, nice place to stay. The staff is very friendly, and they offer the USA Today newspaper. The breakfast is okay. Easy access with the new elevator.

"Hotel stay was pricey for the room we got"
I felt like hotel needed updates for as much as I paid for weekend. Mattress was dirty. Walls were really damaged. Tv and bathroom was very small. Bath tub had lots of damage. As well as room was dirty when we arrived.

"Dirty, broken, poor customer service"
When we got to our room, we discovered the beds were both broken. Literally on one, three of the legs weren't even touching the ground and the bed rocked like it would collapse any second. The dresser was also broken. When we called down to tell the desk, they said they were full and they'd call back in 10 min after talking to the manager. In the meantime, we tried to get down and fix the legs to make the beds more stable. This didn't work, however we did find a ton of junk under the beds. Cheetos, bottle caps, a rock, some plastic garbage, and half of a peanut butter cup that was moldy. We collected all of this in a plastic cup. We called back down and they told us they could give us another room, so when we went down to change the keys, I gave the cup to the man at the front desk and explained that all of the garbage had been on our floor. He looked at it, made a face, and set it down, then handed us our new keys. Didn't even apologize or anything. Not a single word. Our new room was barely any better. We found more garbage and a pair of glasses on the floor, and another slightly rocky bed. The bed frames were so cheap and flimsy I could not believe it. But really, the biggest thing was the lack of concern and apologies from the staff.

"Awesome Stay!"
Excellent friendly staff and a nice hotel all around. Bonus points for the popcorn! The pool was nicely tailored for both elders and kids, with the gym room being quite nice for a man of business (if only I brought my workout clothes!) The Front desk worker was very nice and helpful, and gave great info about where to eat. I highly recommend this place; it seems to be a great unknown bed and breakfast

"Excellent Customer Service"
I'm very happy with the room Kris assigned to me. Most importantly, he provides excellent customer service. I called ahead of time, and Kris went up to make sure my room was cool and that everything was in good working order. I was also pleasantly surprised when he realized I was a Diamond Select Member. As a result, he greeted me with the Diamond Select gift without my asking because I was unaware of this gracious gesture. The gift bag includes water and a snack. I appreciate the excellent customer service, quick check-in, and overall satisfaction with my room and service. Thank you so much, Kris, for making my check-in experience so pleasant. Gina

"Nice area just outside of St Louis"
The location was good. The staff was very nice. Had a small issue at check-in, but was resolved immediately. The hotel is nice enough....not overly fancy, but decently clean and a decent place to sleep. It wasn't perfect, but for the price, good enough. The pool was nice. We didn't eat breakfast, but looked like they had a decent selection of items.

Overall great stay very convenient to I-55 I come into St. Louis quite often and I stay here most the time because of how easy it is to jump on the interstate and head to what I'm in town to do, 15/20 mins away from downtown

"Eh."
The jacuzzi was dirty but that was an easy fix. The closet doors were literally off the hinges and just laid against the closet. The bed was very comfortable but they cannot make a bed. The bedding was just kind of slapped on there. Definitely not worth the $150 price tag.

"Not clean"
The sheets and bedding were stained. My boyfriend found blood on the pillow cases. The rooms were filled with dust and mold when I arrived after 3 the rooms still were not ready and someone's previously used soap was still in the shower. I do not recommend.

"Unsafe Room"
The lock on the room door did not work therefore the room could not be locked nor opened with key. We discovered that our room had been unlocked and subject to intrusion while away. We could not safely stay in the room as the door would not lock. The A/C in the room was not working properly, the ice machine was inoperable, the swimming pool had an oily sheen on top of the water. Toilet paper roll was used by previous guest a lot *I could see the fingerprint marks on the rolls}

Chris is amazing! We're a family of 5 & we used to lobby after hours to eat our dinner. He cleaned up after our messy girls with no hesitation! We had the best stay here! Clean & friendly environment. With a great hot breakfast. Pool is great & clean! Will definitely be staying here in the future!

"A great value!"
The breakfast was really good; eggs, sausage, potatoes, pastries, bagels, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice. Shower pressure was good, beds and pillows were comfortable. The pool was very nice and there was a separate wading pool for littles (or adults who just want to sit and relax). There was a surprise feature that was so helpful - a rolling table that nestled under the desk.

"Good hotel Good Price"
The hotel has been completely refurbished. It feels new and clean. Check in was quick and my room request was honored. Good breakfast with sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, etc. Excellent quiet location. Just off the I-55 in south St. Louis and easy access to Cracker Barrel across the street. Will definitely stay there in the future with such easy access to all of STL.

"Worst stay ever."
Rooms were dirty. Sheets were stained. We paid for 2 queen beds- 2 full beds were provided. Not enough towels were provided. Halls reeked of Marijuana. Kids were unattended and ran screaming in the hallways. Issues were reported and nothing was addressed.

"Decent hotel/ good price for area"
This hotel was good price for the area. 20 ish minutes to St. Louis galleria mall. Gas stations and just off interstate. The lady at the desk was very helpful. Plenty of parking, free breakfast. We did go for the pool but never used it, when we wanted to after dinner it was packed full of kids. No hot tub. Hotel is alittle older inside but it does have an elevator. So main lobby on 2nd floor when ur on the elevator ( that confused us at 1st) I think it's cuz of the slant of the building.. it did have vending machines. Only thing given lower stars is there was pop corn left in front of microwave from last guest ( housekeeper missed) the shower made weird nose when in use, the light worked as u enter but blew out morning we left, lighting isn't good for putting on make up. If I stayed again just will bring my portable makeup mirror.

"Last minute"
I didn't like that I had to pay a $150 holding fee when I was using my debit credit card. They did have a good breakfast selection other than the fact that they ran out of eggs before we got any Other things were restocked but not the eggs.

"Jacuzzi room"
Room was dirty. Dirty towels hanging up near sink. Jacuzzi tub looked dirty plus the water didn't get that hot. The room is on the lower level, easy for someone to break in, which it looked like some one because the window screen has been cut open. I did not feel safe there.

"Best customer service ever"
Not only was this the best price in the area I was needing to stay at, it was the best customer service I've had in a very long time. Shout out to Chris for his exceptional friendly personality. The hotel, grounds, and room were very clean. Usually pet friendly hotels have a strong smell of disinfectant to them, but this hotel didn't smell of any chemical. I brought my small dog and was charged only $20 compared to other hotel chains who want $40+. The breakfast was outstanding! I went closer to the end of breakfast hours and everything was still well stocked and fresh. Even the eggs were not dried out or overcooked. The food area was very clean and relaxing. I won't be staying at any other hotel when I need to stay in St. Louis. I don't believe I could have stayed at a higher priced hotel and gotten the service I received here!

"Stolen property"
This motel kicked me out for someone smoking weed down the hall it was clouded with smoke and blamed it on me and when I asked them to hold my items while I found another hotel they went through my luggage and stole clothes and also stole many other items totaling over $1000 dollars in property and when I told them there excuses was “well someone must have left the door open so there where not responsible”. Would not recommend they are thieves and liars!

"Cleanliness was an issue"
We have stayed at other locations and found the accommodations average to excellent. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room and hallways, and the breakfast was poor compared to others we have had when staying at different Best Western resorts. The front desk receptionist was friendly, however. The hotel is undergoing remodeling, which could improve the quality in time.
"Beware of the $150 deposit"
They charge your credit card a $150 deposit and it takes a week to receive the refund, other hotels have your credit card on file incase of incidents. I was going to cancel my room there but would have been charged a cancelation fee
"The Truck Stop hotel"
My wife and I stayed at the Best Western St Louis on November 26-27. Our room had a very loud wall heater and equally loud refrigerator. Our room was not touched by housecleaning so no clean towels or garbage pick up. We had to go to the front desk to request towels. The hotel allowed a truck to park out side our first floor window and run all night just like a true truck stop. The noise was terrible. The modified breakfast did not have milk available, but did have frozen cream cheese, watered down juices, and rock hard donuts The hotel is also going through a bit of renovation and the hallways were filthy. I acknowledged my concerns to the front desk employee who said he would tell his manager. There was no apology at the time but came via email five days later from the manager. We were invited by Mr Patel to stay there again and I responded NEVER since he is running a truck stop. I also requested a refund which I will probably never see. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life Also heard from BW Corporate which made an apology for Mr Patel and gave us 20,000 reward points since only Patel could give a refund.
"Remodeling in progress"
Our room was fine, but they are remodeling the hotel and instead of finishing projects it seems like they are doing multiple projects at one time which makes it a mess. The breakfast selection wasn't great and there was no milk while we were there.
"Nothing special"
The hotel itself was ok it's back away from the highway and it's relatively quiet. The staff at check in very slow and totally clueless on how the room numbers work I asked several times as the hotel is having a facelift that l didn't want to be on the renovation side person looked at me and advised didn't know the room numbers l explained that there's odds and evens. So took the key walked to room and walked back as room was on wrong side. They hold $150 deposit and well from the experience on getting checked in wasn't much fun it's a ok hotel nothing much. And when it comes too the room carpet damage and in the bathroom the ceiling was damage.
"Contact High"
We arrived at 5:30pm; The outside and lobby are very clean and neat, upon entering the 3rd floor from the elevator, the concrete floors were stained and bare, the hallway was cluttered with ripped up carpet, cleaning carts, snack machine and the distinct marijuana odor filled the entire NON Smoking Floor. The room had been "cleaned" however there was trash left on the floor. The queen mattress was on a double frame so when you sat on the edge, you slid off, the lighting was dim and poor.
"Would give it no stars if it would let me"
When we (myself and my son) pulled into the parking there was a fight going on between patrons in the parking lot. Called the hotel to let them know that this was going on and I didn't feel safe getting out of the car. She said she would check on it. Eventually the fighters went inside the hotel. After some time we entered the hotel and the front desk didn't say a word about our concerns. Entered our hotel room. There was dog hair all over the bathtub and the bathroom floor had hair "tumbleweed" all over it. At this point we were exhausted and let it be. They allow pets at this hotel. So dogs bark and howl all night long. All. Night. Long. The walls and doors are paper thin so the party in the hallway on both nights was loud and between that and the dogs there was no sleeping. Friday night there was a consistent beeping at regular intervals the entire night. In fact, the front desk personnel actually asked us if we heard the beeping. I responded "yes, it was long night" He said nothing further. No apology, nothing. The front lobby is clean. That is the only nice thing I can say. Do not stay here.

"Great hotel"
was located around a lot of activities , was clean and enjoyed our stay, the checkin guy spoke 4 languages and was very nice.shower and bathroom was very clean and modern looking. the pool was clean and water felt very comfortable.
"Good"
Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating,I was able to check in an hour early, dropped my key in a box for check out overall a nice stay close to everything but far enough away for a peaceful stay.
"Family weekend vacation"
This hotels staff is very helpful and courteous! Very clean hotel. Good breakfast. If you sleep in and miss breakfast there is a Cracker Barrel right next door. The grandkids loved the indoor pool. Would definitely recommend this hotel!!
"Not good"
I was not pleased at all. Should have abandoned ship when I had a chance. It all started at check in when we had to get 3 rooms before we got one that was cleaned and ready for check in. The beds are hard and almost feel like they are in a swing. There were staff slamming doors early in the morning do to the fact the the elevator ran so slow, they were taking the stairs. I could hear everything outside our door. Breakfast was subpar on day one. Day two however there was almost nothing available when I arrived. 8AM. No eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and then was told there was none today a total waste, not a good way to start they day. This will be my last stay at this hotel
"Not for out of state people"
Average location, check in was good, room is very dirty, mattresses are dirty, internet didn't work, no water pressure, fridge was leaking, dead roaches in the ceiling light globe and loud nosey fighting people next door. I was there for 8 hrs total and couldn't wait to get the hell out of this place. At check out they wouldn't give us a receipt, they didn't email me one or did they give me my total. It's been 24 hrs since checkout and I still don't have a receipt. This place is too expensive for a crappy place. I never knew it was like this. Drove in from out of state for a funeral and this place was convenient and looked decent and clean in the lobby but was definitely disgusted once we walked toward our room. Checkin staff was good but checkout staff refused to give us a balance and our receipt. Waiting in line to check out is a pain with only one staff member. I know better now when I come back into town I will not be back at this place.
"The worst Best Western I've ever stayed at"
First let me tell you to expect $150 dollar deposit took out of your bank account from the get go because obviously the hotel has a pot head issue. The hotel reeks of marijuana. The beds are awful. I still haven't seen a reverse charge for the so called $150 deposit I was required to plunk down at checki in. This place is the pits and doesn't deserve to be titled a Best Western.
"Dirty room"
Room bathroom was filthy and comfortor on one of the beds was soiled from previous guest housekeeping neglected to address it. Carpet was filthy and moldy and did not appear to have been cleaned in several years
"$150 Deposit !!!!!"
I registered for a room 2 months before needing it. When we got there, the desk clerk said there was $150 deposit. When we questioned that, the desk clerk stated that it said on the website. Which I had read all of the website, before ever registering for the room and it was NOT stated on the site. When stating that fact to him, he and a second desk clerk said that it WAS stated and if I went through a third party they couldn't do anything about it. Speaking very loudly to me, I felt that they handled it very unprofessional and rude. When I told them I had not gone through a third party, they pretty much ignored me. Doubt that we will ever stay there again. There was also an odor in the room that never went away
"My experience"
Let me start by saying this was the best hotel experience I have ever had. 260$ for two nights. It was well worth it. The pool area was clean and Temps where just right. I am very happy with my stay. The staff was helpful, kind and friendly. I could not have asked for a better experience at all.
"Amazing value"
This hotel is a great value for the money. Clean, quiet. Wifi worked good, the mattress was excellent. The breakfast was pretty good, waffles yogurt juice and sausage biscuits. The staff was friendly.
"Doesn't Live Up to the Brand"
The place is just run down. It looks and feels like it isn't clean. It smells like cigarette smoke. The lady at the front desk was not very welcoming or polite. The beds were so hard! I've slept on more comfortable floors. I wouldn't stay here again.
"good customer service"
Easy to find right off the highway. They appear to be short handed. Ann, at the front desk had to check to see if the room was cleaned yet and get us some towels. The 1st floor hallway looked a little dingy but the room was very nice. Bathroom was well caulked and clean. My room #328 had one had an air condition that could use some work. It never did get as cool as we liked, kept shutting off like it was on a timer. We it shut off , it made a loud ticking sound "tick-tock tick tock" that was very annoying when trying to sleep. As we were there for only one night I made no complaint to the desk. They allow dogs in this place. I could hear them barking at night. On the morning of check out, we had a minor emergency that required us to ask for a late check out. Ann, the very nice lady at the front desk gave the okay.
"BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISING / RUDE MANAGER"
Disgraceful lying hotel. Was told the poll would be open hair my kids, got to the hotel and was told pool isn't open. Had to sell hotels.com and waste my time looking for a new hotel and cancel this one because of FALSE ADVERTISING! Never again!
"Regret"
Walked into the hotel, got my rooms, took 20 minutes and I was the only person there. Went to my room. It smelled like sewage and was about 90% humidity. Walked back out, got a full refund and left. I have stayed at other best western hotels and this one was no where near meeting the standards.
"Nice place to stay"
Was nice could be cleaner . Staff is always very friendly and helpful. A lot of things do not work like the washer dryer never work and ice machines don't work a lot of the time. Breakfast is pretty good but the coffee is awful.
"Great hotel"
Very clean, quite, great helpful staff and mins from all kinds of shopping eating and Entertainment. The bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. I will definitely be staying here more often.
"Stay here for the smell of marijuana and zero sleep"
They should not advertise this hotel as 100% smoke free. The elevator smelled like marijuana and someone had clothespined a plastic bag over our smoke alarm in our room. We stayed in room 302 next to the door leading outside. The first night we stayed there was someone outside doing work that kept us up from all of the noise. The second night was even worse. There were people in the hallway yelling and cussing all while slamming doors shut every 5 seconds. It got to the point around midnight that we wanted to leave because we were genuinely scared of what was going to happen but didn't want to leave our room. We never once heard management do a thing for the over two hours of screaming and fighting in the hallways. Our room in itself was ok, but not by any means great. It had a smell and there was rust in the bathroom. Their website advertised a military discount but the front desk told us that they did not give them. This was by far our worst experience at a hotel ever. We will never return to a Best Western again.
"Terrible"
The room we stayed in (303) was in terrible condition. Water spot on the ceiling, cracks in the walls, curtains not properly hung, rust in the bathroom, super slow draining tub, dead bugs in the light fixture, and the wifi had 1 bar in our room when it would even connect. To top it all off we had someone in the hall slamming doors and yelling from around midnight until 2 am. I called the front desk twice and nothing. We were genuinely scared to leave our room.
"Never coming back."
This was the third time we stayed here. The last two trips the hotel was fine but this last trip the room was the worst we've ever stayed in. We had a small dog with us and were put up in rm 105. The room was not carpeted and there was black dog hair everywhere as if it had never been swept between cleanings. The tub faucet continually leaked and the bathroom door squeaked so loud that I thought it would wake the dead. The mattress also squeaked every time you moved. Our room was two rooms from the rear exit and people would prop the door open with a towel why they smoked and talked very loud at all hours of the night. The cigarette smoke would then drift into our rm. The rear entrance door was never locked which was a security issue. We have family in the area and will be back many times in the future but we will not be staying here. We never complained to the front desk as we were there for only three days. The staff at the front desk were friendly upon checking in.
"Best Value"
The hotel was clean and well kept. Customer service was good. The rooms were clean, and big for the value. My issue was that the other guest let their kids run up and down the hallways disrupting other guest. I was on the middle floor and the people above me had children as well that were not contained. This was not an good experience.
"Horrible business trip"
Horrible business trip. The first room we were placed in was 101, it is beside an exit/entrance door. Most of the evening the door was being pulled on over and over. We could hear the kids screaming in the next room and there was broken glass in the hallway. We asked to move rooms and was changed to 325. When we entered this room there was already trash in the bin and the toilet was full of toilet paper, it would not flush. We then had to ask for another room, finally ended up in 326 which was right across from the elevator and vending machine. Every little noise can be heard. The rooms were very dusty, I used Lysol wipes to clean and disinfect. Definitely spend the extra $10 or $20 to stay elsewhere. My husband and I were in the area for business and were given a small allowance for hotel stay or we would have stayed somewhere else. Horrible experience!
"Not the best Best Western we've experienced"
This was the 3rd BW we stayed in this past week. Floor in tub/shower moved up and down under feet, very unstable and dangerous. Large toenail clipping on floor between beds. Food trash in wastebasket when we arrived Only one regular coffee packet in room. Back door to building very difficult to open. One door key stopped working halfway through stay. Good towels. Bed was clean and comfortable. Not up to BW usual standards.
"never again"
I would never go here again they said full hot breakfast and pool book room non refundable way over priced was not offered upgrade per elite status or even thanked pool closed and breakfast bar no drink for breakfast room was old and a lot of of rifraf hanging around
"As expected"
Easy to get to. We did not grab breakfast or use the gym or internet. So I really don't have an opinion. (I had to leave at 3 am). The room was clean and everything worked. I travel for business and this hotel was up to standards.
"Very bad experience, hotel was run down, things were broken, the room stunk, the water pressure was poor, bad service"
Horrible experience, felt like motel 6, broken things in 1st room, 2nd room stunk like sewage, 3rd room had poor water pressure in shower, attendant banged on my door and tried to come in at 3am, said his system showed it was vacant when he himself put me in there, breakfast was a cheap glorified sack lunch. There was a switch in all 3 rooms that did nothing. Only go here if you have no choice.
"Masks, we don't need no stinkin' masks!"
Saw 4 employees my one night stay, one employee had a mask covering his chin, the other 3, including the manager had no mask. Breakfast was a tiny yogurt, non fat and sugar free. Shower head was partially clogged, tub had plenty of flow but it came out of about 4 holes.
"Absolutely stress free"
The hotel accommodations were excellent . The staff were very friendly! The rooms were clean and up to date! I had abosolutely zero complaints which made my stay that much easier! I will ckmtinue to book my stay at this hotel in the future!!
"Not that good of hotel in the BW chain"
This hotel is one of the good ones in the Best Western chain. A bit run down, a lot of noise from back entry door sticking and making a lot of noise when someone enters or leaves. Was kind of disappointed with this Best Western Hotel.
"Bad all around, rude, dirty"
Rude staff upon checking in, I had to ask the man at the front desk to put on a mask, he rolled his eyes and put it on, leaving his nose exposed and then within 1 minute he had it under his chin leaving his mouth and nose exposed. He was rude and seems annoyed that I was checking in. The hotel was run down, several rooms were under construction and there was debris in the halls. Our door didn't lock when closed and the clerk was very rude about it, after slamming the door shut, using his shoulder to forcibly close it, he said, “see? It's fine.” We decided to deadbolt the door from the inside and not leave the room. 4am the fire alarm goes off staff was nowhere to be found. When I did track down the front desk clerk she seemed confused and unapologetic. Even though we were planning to leave later in the morning we packed up and left in the dark. Don't stay here, you'll regret it.
"Poor experience"
We have been traveling and staying at BW this was the worst! Old decor, room smelled bad, smelled smoke overnight. Staff looked like they walked in from hanging out at home very unprofessional! Breakfast was a sack Togo after filling out a piece of paper with no hot or healthy options. I don't recommend this hotel. Try the next BW our other stays this trip have been good -great.
"Great place to stay."
Our room was spacious and wonderful. Very comfortable and warm. The people that worked there were nice and accommodating. I can't think of a thing to complain about. I booked online but had a question so called to get the answer. Nice lady answered the phone.
"Friendly staff and clean facility"
The hotel was very clean throughout. We were greeted immediately by the young lady at the front desk and she was very helpful with all of our questions. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. We spent two days in St. Louis and it was only a 17 minute drive to downtown from the hotel. Well worth the $30 we saved by staying out of the downtown area. We enjoyed this hotel!
"A quick one night stay"
We stayed in the Best Western in St. Louis (the one closest to the center of the city). We were in room 235, which was a largish handicap room. It had 2 queen beds, TV, A/C, microwave, small fridge with no freezer compartment, an ironing board but no iron, but there was a safe. The bathroom had only a shower, but the sink was in the bathroom, unlike several other Best Westerns we had recently stayed in. There was no coffee maker in the room.
"Okay."
The room was clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The halls were extremely noisy. We were awaken all hours of the night. Drunk adults, children. It seemed as if the door didn't efficiently keep out the outside noises. It was a very interrupted sleep!
"Great staff"
Great staff, they will assist you in any way they can. The rooms are always tidy and clean, they also have secure parking so you have no concern for your car. As well as the meeting rooms are excellent, the fan motors was pretty noisy in one of the heaters but other than that, it was a great stay and would recommend for the price.
"A quick stay"
Bad service from greeting receptionist We got there early and she said we had to wait or pay a $25 extra fee. Was not friendly We paid for a refrigerator in our room and didn't get it. The King beds are nice.
"Hotel doesn't care about your health and safely"
When we got to the front of the hotel, either a guest or employee was smoking beside the front door. They went into the hotel before us-without putting a mask on. When we got into the lobby there was no one at the front desk-a sign saying that would be back shortly-and an employee standing over to the side. He was also not wearing a mask. After waiting quite awhile the employee, who was masked) checked us in-handed me a sheet with items to mark off for breakfast (nothing for my husband-only for me-I wrongly assumed we would get 2 bags of minimal breakfast to go). The room appeared clean. Unfortunately it overlooked a parking lot with lights shining right into the room and no black out curtains. The bed was comfortable. My husband couldn't figure out how to get the local channels on the TV and called down. The response was "the channel directory is on there" True-but the channels were not the ones that the directory said. No offer to help at all. The next morning I realized that the piece on the coffee maker that holds the filter was missing so we couldn't make coffee-I didn't want to call down as at this point we needed to get going so I was just going to tell them at checkout but no one ever asked how our stay was. When we get down to the lobby to checkout-there were 4 people. One guest in the breakfast area-not wearing a mask. A guest checking out, not wearing a mask and 2 employees behind the front desk-also not wearing masks. As we waited and waited for the guest in front of us to finish up-he actually said he would go out to his truck to get something. When he came back in-he did have a mask on. When we went to check out-we were asked if we wanted a receipt-I replied yes and that took a very long time to print the receipt. Meanwhile the other mask-less employee comes out into the lobby and walks right past us-without a mask. When we finally finished up I actually asked the employee checking us out if St. Louis Co had a mask mandate (I thought they did-but I was now thinking I was wrong or it expired) She replied yes they do-with no explanation as to why she wasn't wearing a mask. Best Western had a sign with all of the cleaning etc. they are doing with Covid-but quite honestly it makes me question if this specific hotel is really doing anything. I think we will stick with Marriott, IHG and Hilton from here on out.
"Comfortable and clean!"
Visted St. Louis to attend my niece's high school gradution. The accomodations were exactly what I needed so I could focus on family gatherings. I stay at this motel every time I visited my brother and I've never been disappointed.
"Not Bad"
This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. But for the price I paid (almost double other Best Westerns I've stayed at) I expected the rooms and things like the TV and fridge to be a little better/bigger.
"Needing To Take Care Of The Little Things"
When I was organizing our trip, I contacted a couple different BW locations. I specifically asked about the reliability of the room internet. I needed to be able to connect to Zoom, for daily conference calls, for work. The internet signal, in my room was almost non existent. I made a complaint to the morning front desk clerk. He said he would speak to his repair person. It was NEVER resolved. I also reported a safety concern, regarding our room door,. It wasn't properly shutting/locking, on our first night there. It took several attempts, for the door to lock. It was NEVER resolved. We were actually locked out of our room, when we were forced to have breakfast elsewhere, on Saturday. They didn't have any milk, to serve their guests, in their filled hotel. The hallway A/C was not working. It was at least 90 degrees, walking to our room. There was a carpet square, that was out of place, right next to the bed. #DISAPPOINTEDATBW
"Front desk attitude"
Very unhappy with front desk attitude towards me and made me feel very unwelcomed and uncomfortable during my week stay. Very unhappy with thr amount I payed for a weekly rate because of the way the front desk's attitude towards me. He made me feel very unwelcomed and and made to feel like I was a nuisance. Very unsatisfied and can go into more detail if meed be. Would like to be reimbursed for my week and a week covered at the other best western location located in South county, MO where I know the hospitality is friendly and makes you feel welcomed.
"Welcome to METH Western"
Welcome to Meth Western - meet in the back and someone will sell you some crack...every night from 8 pm to 4:30-5 am. We are relocating from Florida... already in a state of depression so.... this first impression Of St. Louis was horrible. I have stayed @ Best Western many times. We read the reviews for this location- they were ok. Not a good depiction of the reality of this hotel. Staying here was a NIGHTMARE And we were ready to leave but we couldn't because online booking can not be cancelled.10 days later due to prebooking online, no cancel- we DID NOT SLEEP. GROUPS were hanging out in the parking lot all night long, doors slamming, yelling up and down the hall all night long. Once the sun came up the “zombies” disappeared. We told overnight manager she laughed and said I know. The last night we could tolerate, As some random guy was yelling up and down the hall away - “Ally” over and over again. This was at 4:15 in the morning - I called to the front desk. Within 10 min.cops were there and a fire truck. We checked out early forgetting about a refund or anything. It's a difficult time with COVID, so understandably no hot breakfast. They made an attempt with bread wrapped not toasted no toaster on the first day morning to the last day nothing there but butter packets. The pool was empty and in door, not a problem except other area hotels have their pools open. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. The day time desk worker tried to accommodate with no options. Upon leaving we asked for a receipt and was told it was booked online, By the owner, so they could not print due to the rate charged would be shown. Isn't that the point of a receipt? Maybe not. Now to the room - the beds are very UNCOMFORTABLE - so that didn't help in our need for a good nights sleep. The parking lot stayed full with LOUD, Looking for more drugs. Hate to leave a negative review, however others should BEWARE!!!
"Reasonable Rates and Clean rooms"
Nice clean room that appeared recently updated. Front desk receptionist was excellent helping us to obtain a better rate than initially booked. Unfortunately during this virus scare, this was the only Best Western of the 4 we stayed at during our drive home that did not offer any "To Go" items for breakfast.
"Great staff"
We did not make a reservation. Stayed here overnight while on a road trip. We walked in and were greeted by the lady at the front desk. She was very friendly and helpful. Answered our questions. Room was good. Some flaws but nothing major. My boyfriend loved the waffle bar. I ate the other options, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. Food wasn't very warm, but hey it was free. Overall was a good stay.
"pleasant staff clean rooms"
Pleasant staff and clean rooms. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast waffles scrambled eggs. The front desk and housekeeper were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms could use a little updating but were nice. The pool was freezing but the front desk person checked the temp it was 80. It is very convenient location to get around to major attractions in st Louis. If you are traveling with a pet it is 20 dollars a night max a 100 dollar
"Stopped after 10 hours for a good rest"
All the way from Dallas , quick check in and plenty of parking as I had a boat on trailer also. Breakfast was ample and I was on my way Ext day. Friendly staff and clean rooms for good value. I use best western often and they deliver on quality
"Ridiculous"
We got there and they didnt have the room we reserved. Smelled like pot in whole hotel, switched rooms, but didn't help. Shower had no water pressure, and barely came out. Stepped on some popcorn kernels that were left from last people. Breakfast looked horrible, we did not eat. Told the girl who checked us in that people were smoking pot right outside the back door, and she didn't say anything to them. Told the woman who checked us out about all of it, she did not seem concerned, and went back to playing on her phone......
"Indoor heated pool"
We booked mainly for the heated pool so the kids could swim. This pool WAS NOT heated in the least bit. Very disappointed that the kids couldn't swim. The water was ice cold. If was heated would have been great!!
"Afordable and comfortable"
For the price, this was a great deal. Staff is friendly, rooms were clean and easily accessible for a person in a wheelchair. Free Breakfast was much more than a continental breakfast. Beds were comfortable.
"Dirty Room, Rude Management"
Long Black Strands of hair on the sheets, Bobby pin left on the sheets, toilet was dirty. Don't ever ask for a refund or a comp room. They must like not treating their guest well. Power went out, emergency lighting in hallways very very dim. The overnight desk help was the only friendly one that was working. Manager and his Asst very rude. Atitude problems.
"Dirty room"
Maybe it was just my room but it was filthy tables were smeared with sticky stuff closet had old candy scattered on ledge carpet seemed not vacuumed as food crumbs and pet hair could be seen!!!! Room was on 1st floor not main floor and the entrance thru side had strong odor of cigarettes, hotel is outdated in that floor at least. Spend the extra $ and stay else where i would not recommend.

"great place to stay"
nice place to stay easy to get anywhere staff always friendly and helpful will stay there again great breakfast we will be back whenever we come to saint louis missouri parking is great have not used the pool yet but others sure like it
"The Best Best Western Ever"
I can not begin to express my gratitude to the staff at this location for all the large and small ways they helped to make the visit comfortable. Each member of the team, from the desk to housekeeping were exceedingly nice and helpful! The breakfast was wonderful.
"Terrible service"
Room had few minor repairs that it needed. Was woke by a whiny barking dog. Reported it to front desk, an hour later still nothing done. Went down for breakfast and talked to front desk, went back to our room, another hour goes by and still nothing done go back to front desk and she was rude... So we cancelled our next night and left hotel... Two and a half hours and nothing was done!!!
"Wish I had stayed somewhere else"
Arrived at the hotel. The entry was & the main level of the hotel were overpowered with air freshener which burned our eyes & made us cough. We thought this hotel had a hot tub & when we asked the staff at thre front desk she said "no but there's one in your room. Full your tub up with hot water & there's your hot tub." Once we got to the room we noticed torn & strained bed sheets. Bathroom light turned off & wouldn't turn back on. I reported it to the staff at the main desk but she joked about it & said I guess they'll have to fix it in the morning. I think she thought she was being funny but she was just extremely inappropriate.
"Good place to stay"
Good stay, great breakfast, and friendly staff. Our room decor was outdated and had a few stains from previous water leak. Bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. Breakfast had a lot of delicious choices to choose from. The staff was very nice and friendly.
"don't bother"
NO sleep the bed was so hard it was like sleeping on ply wood. the brakefast did not look good. stuck to eating th pre cooked muffins. some one got sick in the parking lot and it stayed there both days i was there.
"Great place for dogs"
Our stay was very comfortable and easy. There weren't any issues and check in and check out were very quick. The breakfast was great and other guests were very polite. The pool was fantastic. We had a really great time there.
"Nice Location"
The hotel is quietly tucked off the highway. Pet friendly. The breakfast bar was great for an easy quick bite before we headed out for the day. Located by some nice restaurants and shopping. Just a short drive to the downtown area.
"okay"
Nice place with updated rooms. Good breakfast and caring staff. Location close to restaurants gas stations & grocery stores. I stay here because it's close to relatives. Easy access to interstate, downtown and shopping.
"BOA TRIP"
Freeway access was just around the corner and eating facilities were close by. Hotel was clean and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Something for everyone. Parking was good. Would stay here again.
"Best Western St.Louis Inn"
Great place, staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was always fresh. Rooms were updated and sparkling clean. Desk went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Manager was great booking block of rooms and did excellent follow up
"Gross bathrooms"
Let's just start with yuck...from the putried wall colors to the smelly rooms with out dated and mildew ridden bathrooms. Can tell there have been attempts to update but not enough.......if my stay had not benn prearranged by my employer I would have left and found other accomodations.
"Great rooms for the price."
Very clean hotel with nice ammentities. Just a few miles from downtown and other attractions. Rooms are clean and we loved the shower water pressure. Had an issue with the billing, but was taken care of within a few business days. Would highly recommend.
"St. Louis Inm"
Very accommodating staff. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and perceptive to the guests needs. Went above and beyond to ensure the room and all amenities were accessible. I would persobally recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Great stay."
Great stay all the way around! From check in to check out no problems. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast that was provided was very good. My family like the different waffle flavors that were available.
"Best Western St. Louis Inn"
Make sure you try to get a 2nd or 3rd floor room. Our downstairs first floor room was not cleaned well and maybe had not been used in a while. They should have checked it before renting it. They do have an awesome day and evening front desk staff which avoided an angry call from me to the manager.
"Not the best in the area"
We came for a weekend trip from Chicago. The hotel seemed ok online. It wasn't the worst, but it was by far not the best. The rooms were in ok shape, not the cleanest though. Splatters on the wall, didn't look like they cleaned behind the chair or under the bed, ect. The pool smelled like mold and it was super hot in there. When we turned on the heat in our room it smelled like our room was on fire - that lasted for hours. Some rooms in the hotel must be smoking rooms because our entire floor reaked like cigarettes. I wouldn't recommend this hotel in the future.

"Our Go To hotel in St. Louis"
We have stayed at this property often in the past three years. It is an older property but well maintained and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. It has easy access off of I-55 and convenient to Arnold, Fenton and South County.
"It's a hotel; it did a good job being that"
Was in the middle of a solo road trip from Savannah to Grand Forks. I knew my check-in process would take some time (employee discounts, online gift cards, and had to change credit cards). The woman at the front desk did a great job taking all the info and making the check-in process painless. From there, it's a good hotel in an area with lots of food options.
"Best Western South County"
We stayed here with our 3 year old granddaughter. The front desk woman was extremely nice to us. The room was clean & comfortable. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Plan to stay there again. A good value for your money.
"Quiet location, had a pleasant stay"
The room was clean. The fruit water in the lobby was tasty, cold & refreshing. The breakfast was good, especially the sausage, eggs & fried potatoes. The staff were very friendly & helpful. My only complaints were that the room phone did not work and the air conditioner dripped water on the rug.
"Best stay ever"
The rooms and lobby area are kept clean. We were provided with clean towels and toiletries each day of our stay. If we needed anything extra staff provided promptly with a smile.I definitely recommend!
"gREAT STAFF BUT VERY NOISY"
Price for the room was good. Staff was great and friendly. But so much noise. Ask for a room away from the icemachine. With doors closed , I could hear the hairdryer from the room across from me. Kids running up and down the hall. Elevator was out of order 2 or 3 times during my ten day stay.Breakfast is ok. I think this place should have a security guard at night.
"Thanks"
Were staying for one night only, nice room, clean, had everything we needed, Jaime (?) On reception was great and still as perky the following morning. We were able to park our motorcycle under the veranda where we knew it would be safe and stay dry which was a big relief. Breakfast was good, usual standard for BW. Great stay, thanks .
"Very nice stay"
The hotel seems to have been refurbished recently. None of the previous comments about tobacco smells did apply. However, there was a family with extremely noisy kids in the corridor until very late. It should be allowed to spank the parents. The staff did not seem to be able to do anything about that. Good breakfast but the area for that is too small. But a good experience overall.
"St Louis Best Western Inn - DISAPPOINTING"
Photos online looked great for this hotel, however upon arrival I was unfortunately extremely disappointed. I booked a regular bedroom, when I arrived they said all they had was a handicapped room. We accepted going to this room, however when getting in the room, I became even more disappointed. The bathtub had multiple hairs and dirt all over, the floors had pet hair, the headboards and night stand had finger prints, and there was dust on almost every surface. I went to the front desk to ask if there was any possible way to switch rooms, or to have them clean our room, they were extremely rude and unhelpful. We left to go out to eat, when we came back the room still wasn't cleaned and never was. We had two beds, one of them also did not even have a comforter included.
"Business Trip"
So I use Best Western frequently. This is not a good example of a normal Best Western. At check in the clerk wanted to down grade my room because I have a service dog. Then when I got to my room I found the couch was disgusting, and the bed was not much better. The refrigerator was also missing. I reported it and they did discount the room a little, but they did not fix any of the issues!! Terrible stay!!
"Average hotel for the price you pay."
Well i dont have nothing bad to say about this hotel in st. Louis but in the next couple of weeks i will about the other 2 best western i stayed with my family. Its small and very good location. Cracker barrel which its good. It was very hot but the ac was the best. Thank you. Offer more discount in the future for me if not i wont stay here again
"Family outing"
The location of the hotel is a bit skew, but it was a very positive experience. The pool was a bit small for me, but the kids seem to have fun in there. Staff was friendly, breakfast got a bit congested due to space. The breakfast area is not that big.
"Awsome"
Very clean room and Jamie at the desk was pretty amazing. And the ac got supper cold the pool Was clean the breakfast was hot and filling. The water was hot and the towels are soft and the tv has all the channels
"Home away from home"
I stayed here for I think 5 months, 3 days a week. I worked for a travelling health care agency 2 hours away from my home. They took great care of me-ensured I had a quiet room and was never disturbed during the day since I work nights. Staff is always cheerful and helpful, rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Microwave and fridge in every room. I never used the pool but it was usually busy.
"D Ice facility"
The facility looked like it was newly renovated. Everything looked new and modern. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Desk clerks were very helpful and pleasurable. Would stay again if we come back to St. Louis.
"Nicest staff ever"
Greatest staff yet, cleanest room great location all around fun. We had a great Time joking and laughing w the staff. Greatest place we've stayed yet. Wish I'd of stayed here the entire time. Would definitely stay here again.
"Just an average hotel ..."
Out of the brand, this one was not as good as others. Just average with nothing standing out including any employees. It was clean, in good shape, etc. The issue that stands out at this one specifically is that on the 1st floor the room was very humid, even with the AC on high. Humidity was enough to make papers, clothing, etc. damp over time when sitting out.
"My stay"
My first stay at this location was amazing. I will definitely be back, the front desk was extra friendly every thing was done with a smile . I used my Rewards point upon arrival my check already done and ready.
"Weekend Getaway"
Decided take a weekend off of work and get away and relax for a bit. Staff was very helpful and made sure I was well taken care of. Will definitely be back. Room was extremely clean and very nice. No complaints whatsoever.
"Great location outside St Louis"
We really enjoyed this hotel. The room, staff, and pool were all great. The location was just far enough outside St Louis but close enough that every place we wanted to visit was within 20 minutes or so.
Front D, Front Office Manager at Best Western St. Louis Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your response. We are so glad that you had a great experience at our property. We hope that you will come back and see us again soon!
"Nice getaway"
We stayed for 5 nights because of a family wedding. It was very clean and the front desk was helpful and friendly. A nice location not far from many local attractions. The pool area was very nice with a kiddie pool for the little ones.
"Awesome service and room"
My family and I( 4 total) came to st louis to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The check in was a breeze, the room was great and the pool was as well(two thumbs up from the kids). What really set the trip over the top was Frenie, not sure what her exact job was but she was everywhere helping and my oldest daughter absolutely fell in love with talking to her. She genuinely seemed interested in asking how my daughters birthday was and helped with anything we needed EG: pillows and blankets. Overall will definitely be staying here again when we visit.
"Good stay in a good hotel"
The stay at this hotel was very good. The breakfast was good. The only problem I had was the internet. It did not work for us at all during our stay. We informed the front desk about the problem and nothing was done about it.
"Two night stay in St. Louis, MO"
I had to get some military items from Scott AFB before going on my two weeks of training, and wound up staying two nights at the Best Western. Me and my two children had the best experience here at this Best Western. Staff was great in helping me get a jump for my vehicle after leaving the parking lights on all night.
"what I needed"
Very clean and mostly quiet. I had a noise complaint which they resolved. Staff helped me find my way around St. Louis; they were very nice. Breakfast was varied and tasty and most of all, bed and pillows were comfortable.
"Friendly staff great breakfast"
The staff at this location are very nice and helpful. Their breakfast options were great. They offer 4 flavors of yogurt as well as toppings including granola, cranberries and chocolate chips. They also had the option of blueberry, strawberry or regular pancake batter and add ins like chocolate chips and sprinkles. The pool is really nice, but they do need to clean the bathroom in the pool more often and it could use a non slip rug in there. My kids fell on the dirty bathroom floor twice. There was never a bag in the trash can and there is no toilet paper holder. So the toilet paper was wet and pieces all over the floor every day we used it during our 4 night stay, except on Saturday which was the only time I saw it cleaned our whole stay. I started taking baby wipes down to the pool with us and put towels down on the floor so we didn't have to walk on the floor with our bare feet. Thankfully the rooms were very clean and the other bathroom in the lobby/breakfast are was always very clean. The highlight of this location is definitely the friendly staff and the breakfast options.
"Great Stay"
Clean rooms, good breakfast and very helpful staff. Pool was clean and well maintained. The location was a good spot for various and variety of restaurants in the area. Easy access of the Interstate and 15 minutes from Arch and downtown.
"Best Western Arnold was first class!"
From check in to check out, staff was awesome, room was spotless, breakfast was outstanding. Really enjoyed my 3 nights here! Was travelling with family and needed two rooms...hotel staff was very helpful and made sure everything worked correctly.
"Front desk frenie"
Everything was great. Very happy with our visit. Beds was comfortable. Pool was clean. Breakfast was great. Staff was willing to happy. And answered everything to the best of their knowledge. They gave us everything we asked for.
"Awesome stay!"
The room was very neat and clean. Different areas at the pool for all ages was awesome. The staff were very helpful! Very good selection of TV channels. There was a huge selection of breakfast foods available. Highly recommended!
"Weekend with the kids"
Took the kids for 3 day stay. They had a blast in the pool. Breakfast was great and saved us money. Great place to stay. I just relaxed with my girls. We did some excursions but spent most of our time with the kids in the pool.
"Good Visit "
Had an overnight stay while traveling home. Hotel is an older design layout but rooms have been updated. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning had multiple options to allow for many tastes. We had no issues with our stay other than the TV was out because of an issue with the cable company, whom were there any repairing the problem within a few hours of our arrival. See no problem staying at the hotel for a quick and budget conscious stay.
"No cable"
There is no television signal for 6 hours now.... not a happy camper.. otherwise a very nice clean room. When I checked in my reserved room wasn't ready do the rep upgraded me which was extremely nice of her. I'm just bummed about not being able to watch t.v..
Front D, Guest Relations Manager at Best Western St. Louis Inn, responded to this review
I apologize for the v\\cable issue. It was a damaged cable and was beyond our control. We had techs out as soon as possible that fixed the problem. I hope that you will stay with us again. April Front Desk Agent
"The FTC Should Look Into Their Advertising"
The hotel is nothing like advertised. It is not 100% smoke free. They had to show us four rooms before we found one that marginally did not stink of cigars. The bathtub was rusted, there weren't enough pillows in the room, and neither the internet nor TV worked. The only thing saving this hotel from a “terrible” rating is a decent breakfast and the effort the graveyard front desk clerk put in to find us a semi-acceptable room. Caveat emptor.
"I was robbed"
My husband, me and our 2 kids stayed after going to a Cardinals game upon arrival the pictures online was exaggerated, the hotel looked nothing like the pictures online but it was clean. We called the desk and ask of more towels because there were 4 of us and only 3 towels, they sent us hand towels. After the game we came back and parked right beside the door to the lobby under a security camera and someone broke into my car that night along with a few more vehicles. I had a firearm missing from the console. Some of the other guest said that they reported some suspicious guys in the parking lot that night but the hotel staff did nothing. I would not recommend anyone to stay here but if you do take everything inside with you but that won't help keep anyone out. After that the hotel only offered to call the police and nothing more.
"Close to downtown"
I liked the location. It's away from the downtown area so getting to it was simple but close enough to the downtown area we were there in about 15 minutes. The staff were all great to deal with. Even with the motel being at capacity one night we had no trouple parking or getting around. Even the breakfast wan accomidating. They kept the serving containers stocked well. Coffee 24-7 made my day.
"Smoke"
Smelled of smoke/marijuana and found ashes all over the bathroom floor. Reported issues to management and they didn't care at all. Was very disappointed in how this was handled and their complete lack of compassion
L23170, Manager at Best Western St. Louis Inn, responded to this review
I apologize for the issuse you had during your stay with us and very much so want to say it is of very importance to us with this issue. I hope you give us another chance and come back for another stay.
"Great Hotel and area"
Great hotel. Attitude of staff was very professional. Room was clean and comfortable. Quite a few children running in the hallway unsupervised. Parents didn't seemed to control their children while they were in the hallway screaming
"Great place to stay"
My family stayed for a few nights and visited St Louis for vacation purposes. The staff was very friendly with my 3 yr old son treating us like family. We will stay here again next time we come back!!
"Best Western St. Louis inn"
The hotel was great. It is in a good location, had a good continental breakfast and had a spacious, clean room. My only complaint was the cigarette smell in the hallway, despite the hotel being smoke free. I told the staff 2 different times and it didn't seem to make a difference.
"Great quick stay"
This was a quick overnight stay booked just last week. Great location off interstate, close to shopping and food. The hotel was clean, check in services were very quick and efficient and as always great breakfast!
L23170, Manager at Best Western St. Louis Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us and we are very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay hope to see you back soon for another stay with us.
"Our go-to hotel"
We stay at this hotel whenever we travel to St. Louis. We're from MS. So it's easy to get to and easy to leave when going home since it's about 15 minutes south of downtown St. Louis. It avoids the super congestion of the big city and makes it so much easier to get around with it being located right off the main highway leading to downtown. The hotel itself is very well taken care of. Its not a luxury hotel where you walk in and think you're in some foreign land. But it's a good hotel. It's clean and the price of stay is moderate. The staff has always been nice and helpful. We haven't had any problems staying here yet, and I hope that never changes. I'd recommend anyone to stay here if they don't care about being right in the middle of everything and a luxury hotel isn't what they're looking for. They'll be pleased with the convenience of it for sure.

"Spring Break 2019"
Made my reservation using Booking.com. This was my first time using them so i was a little uneasy at first but after talking to April, I reserved our room. When we arrived on Friday, met her in person. April, Frannie, and the entire staff was AWESOME!!! Loved our room. Bed was great. Loved the bathroom. Didn't get to get in the indoor heated pool or use the fitness center (hopefully will use them next stay). Breakfast AWESOME!!! If you didn't get full, shame on you!!! Not too far from the mall, restaurants, or the interstate. 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. Highly recommend this hotel!!! Will be staying here from now on!!!

"Excellent customer service!!!!!!"
Dewayne is awesome! He went out of his way to make sure I felt right at home and my requests were a priority. I appreciate everything he did for me on my visit! On top of his great customer service the rooms are great and the location is quiet and safe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through St. Louis or staying for an extended stay!

"Enjoyable stay"
My best friend and I wanted an affordable hotel with a nice indoor pool for my birthday overnight trip. We went ahead and got the king room with jetted hot tub. No complaints at all! For the very affordable price this was a great place. Clean, plenty of room, comfortable bed and nice size TV. We were out late so pool was closed so we swam in the morning. The water was the perfect temperature and clean as can be. The only thing I didn't love was the distance from main St Louis attractions..zoo, arch, museums. BUT I knew it was several miles away and was willing to drive a bit for the price..don't regret it.

"Awesome hotel"
It was the easiest check in and check out. Staff is super friendly. Reasonably priced for having a pool and free breakfast. Rooms were clean and and spacious. We had 2 rooms that had inner doors made going between rooms super conveinent
"Family hotel"
Great hotel. Family friendly hotel, it looks like everybody is happy here. Kids running, playing at the pool. Parents relaxing at the jacuzzi. Guests interact with each other. It's like a little paradise. Staff is super-friendly, we stayed 4 nights and on the 2nd day they knew our name. Breakfast is fine, nothing special but with a very spacious room to seat. Housekeeping is always willing to help and keep rooms clean. Rooms are very well maintain, nothing broken. TV cable has obver 60 channels, Internet is really fast. *** Great hotel with great price ***
"No Expectation of privacy"
During a recent stay during a separation from my wife, the front desk found it necessary to let my wife and daughter know who I was coming and going with. Not cool ! I rented the room with expectation of privacy. The entire staff did not see this as a big problem. I filed a complaint with corp. not a big deal for them either .I have never, any where in the world have stayed at a hotel where this behavior would be tolerated. Good luck if you book a room at this property.
"Family Emergency"
Facility was close to family, accessible from the highway and close to restaurants. Staff was courteous and friendly. It was quiet and peaceful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, especially in regards to the temperature of the room.
"Stop over for honeymoon"
The hotel was wonderful. The employees were kind and very helpful. The breakfast was great. The pool was perfect the temperature was exactly what was needed. The beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend the Best Western St. Louis Inn for anyone traveling in or around St. Louis. Getting to the city was easy as the hotel was right off the interstate.
"Affordable/Clean/Good Customer Service"
My family and I chose this hotel when visiting St. Louis from Chicago. It had some uncontrollables but overall a good stay. We stayed on the main floor right off the foyer so noise traffic was to be expected. The room across from us reeked of smoke(even though it's a non-smoking room)and it seeped into ours. However, once mentioned to the front desk, they apologized&put a de-smoker bomb in our room. It wasn't the hotel's fault a customer violated the non-smoking policy so the solution to fix this problem for our family was notable. The room was very clean...I even did the finger dust check. The free breakfast was typical for a 2-star hotel but was surprised there was no fresh fruit, oatmeal&the same meat every single day was provided during our stay. However, this hotel's location has a Cracker Barrel restuarant directly across the street so that's a plus. Overall, great price, very clean, good customer service...will definitely stay again if the price stays right.
"It was just OK"
There is not hot tub as was advertised but instead it was a kiddie pool. Elevator was broken. Room had a wonky heater it was blowing half hot and half cold air. Bed lamp was broken, painting and patch work in bathroom was visible. Refridgerator had a broken shelf. Breakfast had a lot of options but no fresh fruit & no yogurt. Bed was very uncomfortable and the bed leg was bent maybe causing it to be on an angle.
"Good mid trange place"
I work for a travelling healthcare agency. 3 days a week I work 12 hour night shifts in this area. I stay here those 3 nights/days. My main requirements are a bed and QUIET. This facility understands my needs and provides them very well. Everything is very clean and the staff are so friendly, I feel like I'm taking advantage. If you need a place to stay in this area, you can't do better.
"Never again"
Place "stinks pretty." Must be covering up something with all the air freshener. Someone is running and stomping in the hall above us, but front desk said they were too busy to check on it. Guess there is no need to complain about the large dog barking down the hall. Never again will I stay here. Breakfast better be good.
"Quiet convenient location and super friendly staff"
We stay here whenever we're in the St. Louis area. Even though it's a bit out of the way, we like that it is quiet. The only reason they got a 4 instead of a 5 is the cleaning staff missed some areas in our room and there were no towels for wiping down equipment in the fitness center. However, everyone on the staff there is super friendly and helpful. Since it is so close to the interstate, it is actually pretty easy to get wherever you want to go. The breakfast usually has a pretty good selection of hot and cold items and I love that tea, coffee and cocoa are always available. The pool area is nice and the fitness center has a decent selection of well maintained equipment. We will definitely return on our next St. Louis visit.
"Over Night 1"
I had a great stay at your B.W every thing was good for me I had a great night sleep My work out was good and it was nice and quite I enjoyed my stay was the check in was great and my check out was great as well great
"Great place to stay"
We lilo staying at this hotel when we are traveling to St. Louis. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the food is delicious. Definitely a family friendly hotel to stay in.
"Indoor pool is up by check in and breakfast area."
Location is very good. Breakfast has hot and cold items and fresh fruit. Cracker Barrel is right across the street if that is more to your liking. We found Best Western buffet to be sufficient. Pancakes, eggs, pastry, bagels and bread. Coffee is fine.
"Nice clean hotel"
The rooms were clean and the parking lot lit well. Felt safe and comfortable at this location. Staff was very friendly. I love the fact that we can have our dog on the trip with us and he is welcomed at the Best Westerns.
"Good quality location"
Had a great stay at this location. Comfortable beds, quiet away from main road. Good places local to grab some food. Complementary breakfast is also great. Only issues I had is they are doing renovation to the pool so it was closed thats a bummer, since its indoor would be great at this time of year. I would definitely be staying here again on my next business trip.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. I apologize the pool was closed, we are working on getting it improved so it is even better for your next stay!
"Hesitated to Book"
After looking at the reviews, I wasn't sure this would be a great place to stay so I only booked one night. Everything was clean and I'm not sure why others didn't give this hotel a good review. We booked a second night. Pool could use some updating but it was clean.
"great stay"
everything was perfect from the staff to breakfast the clean room the pool check in check out and the bed was great one of the best nights sleep i have had i will be staying here every time i come back out here
"Would not recommend"
The elevator is out, which wasn't listed through the external booking site. Had issues getting into the outer door to the second floor. Internet stopped working. Front desk didn't help. Guests should not have to call tech support for the hotel's internet problems.
L23170, Manager at Best Western St. Louis Inn, responded to this review
I apologize your stay was not what you expected. We will address your concerns with out staff, I apologize they were not able to assist you with the internet. By letting us know what we can improve on we are better able to train our staff. Hopefully you will give us another chance next time you are in St. Louis.
"excelant hotel"
this is an excelant hotel the staff takes good care of the customer. they are professional & friendly thank them for all they do. the room is comfortable i reast well here. i stay here when im in the St. Louis area. easy excess to I 55 good restaurants in the area.
"We would go back."
A long weekend stay in a very large room with its own hot tub. A hot breakfast included every morning! Easy on and off I-55 to get most anywhere in St Louis in 20 minutes or so. We had a few issues with our stay, and I was contemplating sharing details and photos. BUT... I spoke to Jennifer, and she obviously cared and wanted to make it right (if she's not a manager they should definitely promote her!). It was her personal response that pushed them to 5 stars. It's apparent that management does want to have - and maintain - an image of quality and caring comfort. The elevator is down (Oct 2018) but is supposed to be fixed in a few weeks, so that will help. We'll definitely stay here again when we're back in the area!

We look forward to seeing you next time you are in St. Louis!
"James S"
It was a wonderful hotel, great staff, great breakfast, check in staff was fantastic and breakfast lady was a jewel, nice clean pool, spacious room, very clean. It was a perfect weekend hotel experience!! :)

"Excellent location near airport and car rental locations"
Room was fine. We were disappointed that the restaurant at the inn was not open Fortunately, there are nearby excellent restaurants. Massa's Restaurant was a real treat. It;s in an older, large home. We highly recommend it. Also the desk clerk at the inn was especially helpful to me to link into their wifi.
"Weekend getaway"
Our kids paid for my wife and me to get away for a weekend and found this hotel on Priceline. It was in a nice quiet area and convenient to the interstate and St Louis. The room was very large and comfortable. There were a few things that aesthetically could have been better but it was clean and everyone was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was just ok but it was worth having. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
"Had Everrything"
47th hotel of this road trip. The room was very clean & had plenty of room to spread out. It had a fridge (no freezer section), microwave, hair dryer, safe, coffee maker, iron & board. The facility had a pool, guest laundry (1 washer & 1 dryer, $ 1.5 each), & fitness room. The free breakfast was one of the best & included all sorts of hot & cold items. Wi-if was good (15). The front desk people, particularly the night woman, were just as nice & helpful as could be.
"Some issues but overall a good stay"
My husband and I stayed here as part of a trip across the USA. I am not sure if we chose a bad time but it seemed a lot was going wrong. The card machine wasn't working, and neither was the elevator. There was a maintenance guy fixing one of the doors as we went in. Our room also smelled of smoke though it was otherwise clean. I would have rated it lower but the staff were great. April on the front desk was fabulous and gave us some freshly baked cookies. A staff member offered us help taking the bags upstairs. The room was large and the bed was super comfy. Despite some things not being up to scratch we had a pretty good stay, and I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt and that we caught them at a bad time.
"Branson Vac"
nice hotel. location is a little strange, but no problems. Breakfast was good and plentiful with good coffee, hot dishes, fruit, and cereal. although we didn't go, there was a cracker barrel right across the street.
"Quiet rooms"
I stay at Best Western anytime traveling and they are near where I am heading. Like always, the staff was great and took care of any needs immediately. My room was spacious and comfortable but I thought the room with tub/shower and toilet was a little smaller than normal. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh although nothing special.
"Best layout and value for pet friendly hotel."
No carpet in the pet rooms which was great for a slobbery dog. Basics in room but bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous - real food, not just bagels and fruit. Coffee and infused water available all day. Room, hallways, front area and property were all clean, no smells. Great location by interstate and across the road from Cracker Barrel. Didn't use pool/hot tub but area looked clean. Fitness room had just enough to get in a quick workout without going outside in the humidity.
"Great stay"
Great stay. Clean rooms and facility. Plenty of parking. Nice location - close to highway and near rstaurants. Not far from downtown. Breakfast needs more options for non meat eaters - eggs had ham. Overall good place.
"The motel was fine."
The pet charge was $20 each for 2 small well trained dogs explained as a fee for extra cleaning. La Quinta allows 2 dogs for no addition charge. Hmm...Total room cost was $164 for 1 night for a 2 star motel.
"Disgusting"
Room was filthy. The roof had leaked. The room had not been clean. Bugs on the towels. The sideboard was falling off. The pillows had make-up on them from previous guests. This place is filthy and gross! Do not stay here.
"Excellent hotel staff, inspiring experince of looks all around"
This is an excellent hotel which I encourage you to book. The best price is throught their website not ohter places online that say their cheaper like bookings.com, hotels.com, expedia etc. Their webstie gives you 4 options when you try to book a room.
"Horrible Night"
The lobby looked great upon arrival. Then, I was checked into a FILTHY room in the basement next to an unsecured exterior door (kept open with a rock that I kicked away and was there again the next time I went out). The room had stains on the furniture, floor, and walls. Sheets did not fit bowed mattress, damage on walls patched but not painted, safe duct taped. Smelled VERY strongly of cigarette and marijuana smoke--A LOT OF BOTH! Initially, the man at the front desk offered to bring some spray to deal with the odor. Really? Literally, the smell was so bad that my daughter and I developed sore throats and stuffed noses...in less than 30 minutes. We were finally moved to another room which was better, but still unacceptable (everything looked worn and kind of grungy). The lady at the desk in the morning was very understanding and refunded part of the rate (I would have checked out the very same night, but there were no other rooms available in the area). Never, never again will I stay at this hotel.
"Best Western St. Louis"
Will not return to this particular best western... Had an indoor pool, but it was dirty. Was not overall impressed with the staff... The Breakfast Lady was very nice.... should have gotten her name because she was your saving grace.
"Trying but not hard enough!"
The police were there when we arrived. As I checked in I was waiting on a staff member to give me any indication of why but never received any reason to be worried or relieved. The staff were great overall but the room was TERRIBLE! The carpet was coming up, and there were stains on the floor, ceiling, wall, and curtains. The bathroom looked as if it had been renovated relatively recently but obviously by the lowest bidder. We were on the bottom of the 3 floor building. We heard every step of anyone who walked down the hall and in the rooms above. You could hear every door open and shut. Walls are paper thin. You could hear conversations in the room next door and in the hallway. The breakfast was ok but the breakfast area was so small and crowded there was no point in going. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the shower head was hanging on for dear life. The elevator was really slow and struggling. The parking lot was well lit but the place was on a dead end road right by a business. I was not happy to pay what I did for this place. I would not stay there again. I do NOT recommend it for any family.
"Yucky"
I had high hopes for this place. I was disappointed. The elevator quit during our one night stay. To get to our first floor room, we had to go outside because the interior stairs only go up. The windows in the swimming area needed a good cleaning, but the rest of the pool area was in pretty good shape. There is a kiddie pool, not a hot tub. There was a big, dirty spot on one of the chairs in our room. It looked someone had a spill and just pushed the chair in and left it. We saw dirt in the corners of the tiny bathroom and there was also hair here and there. The breakfast staff was friendly and there are a lot of options in the morning.
"Staff was very accommodating to our large family."
We had several family members coming in town for a funeral and the staff was wonderful to help arrange a block of rooms, etc. Room were clean, beds were comfortable. We have since stayed here again and it was great. The desk gal (Jennifer) remembered us - I thought that was nice.
"Very Good Hotel"
We were just travelling through on our way to Texas and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and it's staff. Very clean hotel with a good breakfast and great staff. I would recommend this hotel if you are travelling to or through St. Louis.
"Yikes!!!"
So scary! Thought we'd save $25/night by staying here. We were so wrong! 1st room had wobbly beds-like going to crash to the ground when my kids jumped up to get on it. Thankfully we realized it before anything happened. The room also clearly was a smoking room previously. They have not done a good job cleaning it out. I didn't want my children exposed to that nightly. We gave them the benefit of the doubt bc the hotel was so full and asked for another room. 2nd room we were given wreaked of mothballs after passing another room that had the smell of pot wafting out from it. We couldn't handle the strong smells so we asked to cancel our reservations & went elsewhere. The staff was the saving grace at this hotel. They were friendly, helpful, understanding & apologetic. The rooms have the sink/vanity in the main room shining out to the beds while the toilet & shower are enclosed in a separate room. I know this would be fine for some. It was unacceptable for our family with little ones. Just beware... There are several hotels near Fenton that are similar pricing with such better care of the rooms. It's worth the extra time to drive further!
"Just okay"
Hotel is okay for a quick one-night stay, wouldn't recommend much past that. Room was relatively clean (except for the Cheerio on the floor). Phone had wire cut, but guy on duty was very quick to repair. Rest of staff were not very friendly. Some a/c covers were gone or falling off outside. The trash receptacle at front door was overflowing. Breakfast was o.k., nothing memorable.
"Needs better housekeeping"
When we checked into our room, the first thing I did was go to the bathroom because it was a long drive. There was a dead fly stuck to the floor that had obviously been there a while. And the toilet had some poop stuck to the wall, which indicated to me that they didn't take a lot of time to make sure it was clean. Not a housekeeping issue, but the bottom of the tub was so slick, I was afraid to take a step for fear of falling. Maybe some rubber adhesive ducks are in order. ( Big Bang reference ) Otherwise, it was your average hotel.
"Really nice hotel ^ good staff"
Upon arrival some 2 hours early we were checked in with ease & nothing was too much for the receptionist. The room was spacious, fresh smelling, clean & tidy. It was well appointed with all the usual items, hair dryer, fridge (a must in the hot weather), coffee facility, etc. Breakfast had all the usual Continental offerings with some hot food too including hot pepper omelettes which were really nice. The only slight issue was that the WiFi was a bit slow & unstable but it's only a small issue. Overall a great overnight stop.
"great place"
Very good place to stay for the price. They serve a hot breakfast, Have an indoor pool which is not very large but ok. The room and bathroom was clean and the staff were very nice. They have also a small exercise room.
"Very nice for the price & area"
Excellent hotel for the price. Staff was terrific, room was quiet & amenities clean & functioning. Only complaints were small (had to go to 2nd floor ice machine because 1st floor wasn't working, & bathroom fan didn't work). Didn't use pool. Breakfast was very good.
"Plenty of problems"
Check in was slow, limited staff seemed to be available. We were given a room and as soon as we opened the door, we discovered that it was either still in use or hadn't been cleaned after check out, even though it was after 7pm. The TV and lights were on, there were towels on the floor, garbage around the room, and unmade beds. When we told the check in staff, we weren't even offered an apology, just a passed blame and that the cleaning lady
"Stay away"
Toe nails in the hot tub, urine on toilet seat, dirty pool, weird looking used face towels laying in hallway. This place was terrible. Stay away. We had to be moved to 3 rooms before we found a clean room. There was hair on one toilet seat, food on the bed. Iron leaked water all over my shirt. Hair dryer started to smoke when turned on. This place was sad. It ruined the excitement of getting a room with a jacuzzi.
"Tired old place"
It is clear that the hotel is old and worn and in need of renewal. The lobby had a peculiar jumbled atmosphere and the hallways were worn and scuffed. The room had an odd metallic smell like the remnants of stale cigarette smoke. The evening receptionist gave a poor impression. He was not very engaging, avoiding eye contact and greeted me with a rather brusk manner. I introduced myself and said I had a reservation, he barked back "can't hear you", and was half turned away from me in a not at all friendly manner. However the woman receptionist in the morning was trying very hard to meet customers and was very pleasant when I told her we were checking out - even though there was clearly a lot going on she made a point of looking me in the eyes, smiling thanking me for my reservation. That's all it takes. Redecorate, service the equipment in the room and if you include a coffee machine, why not include some coffee too? The fridge in our room was leaking water and was barely working kind of grubby and just old. The breakfast was dreadful. over cooked, greasy and rather unhealthy overall. There was a broken yogurt dispenser, which an employee seemed to take too long to service and even after this it still didn't work. The only options for yogurt from the broken dispenser and the fridge were sweetened flavored yogurt – all very bad. It is really not acceptable these days to still be using disposable cutlery and plates. It is unpleasant to eat with these things anyway aside from being terribly wasteful. There were no problems specifically, just a hotel that is long overdue for an update. It is clear the owners/managers are trying very hard to make things work but its rather patchy and in consequence the hotel has a rather haphazard and worn appearance. Included in the key wallet was a small comments card which said "if you can't rate us highly please let us know" but I fail to see how any of the issues and observations I have made here could be fixed in the duration of one short stay. Something is not working here and consequently I feel compelled to rate this in the bottom three hotels I've stayed in, ever.
"Great stay!"
The room was very clean and large enough for my whole family (two adults/two kids). The hotel was pet friendly which is perfect with our dog traveling cross country with us. Internet speed was fast, and the tv offered many channels to keep the kids entertained during the over night stay.
"Good"
I was here on new year ev it was good. Clean room, clean towel, nice room. Good and nice personel . Wifi in room, close to down town and of course good price. When i am back to st louis i take this hotel agan :)!
"Staff is friendly; rooms are clean, close to the highway."
When in the Saint Louis area, I stay at the Best Western about 65% to 70% of the time. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. The pool looks nice, and the lobby was just refinished. The hotel is near the 55 highway.
"Good Value"
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The services available and provided are good. The employees are friendly and obliging. The complimentary breakfast is very good. There are other amenities close by with ease of getting to.
"Not exactly.."
We booked this hotel last minute for our family of 5 because it had a pool and said it was close to everything St Louis. However, it is about a 15-20 minute drive to anything you may want to do. That part sucked. The pool wasn't hot, but wasn't cold either..warm enough to swim in for a brief time. But, the water was murky and probably needed a good cleaning. Our room was very clean and looked to be newly remodeled. They were also working on putting a new roof on the days we were there. Breakfast was great. There are signs hanging up saying no more than 2 adults, 2 kids per room or you'll be asked to leave. We did not know this beforehand, but no one said anything to us either. We may or may not book this again but only because of the drive to get into town, everything else was fine.
"high traffic area"
it was hard to get in and out of the street the hotel is located on. we were in St Louis because my spouse had an appointment early the next morning for a procedure at a near by medical facility. there was a large group of teens and we have teenagers I know they can get loud so asked to be away from them so he could get some rest. She said let me move you and we were put on the top floor, away from the lobby, right next to an exit and people were coming in and out of the door loudly all night. the rooms were clean and nice but the night staff needs compassion
"Excellent value."
Very good location. Rooms are comfortable. Excellent service by staff and the breakfast was superb. We stayed going and coming back from Alabama. The checkin procedure was simple and our room was as described.
"Quick Trip"
The reason we had to go to St Louis was not good but had nothing to do with the hotel. The room was a nice size for our needs. Clean and very presentable on check in. The microwave and refrigerator were nice things to have. The beds were actually pretty comfy and I slept well. The breakfast was more than adequate.( Eggs, sausage, waffles or pancakes, juice, coffee, milk etc.) I would say it was above the norm at a reasonably priced hotel. The woman that was serving the breakfast bar was on top of things and kept the bowls filled. The pool looked well maintained and enticing.(did not use.) and the property was clean and well kept up. The other staff were courteous and friendly. The reason I did not rate this hotel a 5 on the scale was because of a rather serious maintenance issue. The room door could be opened with a credit card or other slim device. The room not being secure when not in it. ( The door could be locked securely when in for the night.) This hotel I would recommend to anyone traveling thru or to St Louis, as it was close to a lot of activities and by highway, to a lot of other attractions. ( It was right off I-55) I believe I got good value for my money and would stay there again.
"Nice clean hotel"
We stayed at this hotel on Feb 28th, 2018 and really liked it! Very nice check in hosts. Nice and clean and comfortable. We had a dog which they then put us on the lowest level. No carpet but nice Linoleum. Which was perfect ! The only downfall was the $20.00 extra fee for the dog. I found that to be a bit too much. Normally we pay $.00-$10.00.
"BEING AN NRA MEMBER I WILL NEVER STAY AT BW AGAIN"
The room was nice the staff was excellent however being a NRA member I can not give you my business any more by your boycott of the NRA. The NRA and the members of the NRA had nothing to do with this shooting and the reason why you are boycotting the NRA . I resent this and will not stay at your Motel Hotel again.
"Good stay after a long day!"
We were welcomed warmly by the front desk staff, introduced to the breakfast bar and shown where to park, etc. It is a little "funky" in the layout of the hotel, however. To access the 1st floor, you have to ride the elevator down to it! Then, to access the pool and lobby, etc you have to ride the elevator up to the main floor. Overall the room was good and clean, fairly spacious and beds were comfy. The only complaint we had was the pool was FULL of humidity - like a sauna! So thick you couldn't hardly see where to go and forget about seeing other people! We asked management to check it out as obviously the ventilation system wasn't working but ... Anyway, easy access to and from the interstate, good breakfast.
"Good value"
Hotel was clean didn't swim but the pool looked to be clean also. The only knock I have is the bed was hard as a rock. Would recommend this hotel to just about anyone. Wife loved the breakfast me on the other hand didn't I prefer bacon over sausage just a preference thing but for a hotel breakfast I would say you would be hard press to beat it. We will stay here again!!

"Nice, quiet location"
We've stayed here several times as we like it's location out of town and near the interstate. There are a few restaurants nearby but the only one in walking distance is Cracker Barrel. The rooms are equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, making it handy for leftovers. The breakfasts are pretty nice. Every morning we had eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy along with pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast and danish. It appears there have been some upgrades but we had a few issues. The common areas were very chilly. We ended up not using the pool as we didn't want to return to our room via the cool hallways. The beds were comfortable but they felt like they were on some type of loose base as the beds moved quite a bit as you rolled over in bed. There was plenty of hot water whether we took showers in the morning or evening. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. We will stay here again when visiting St. Louis.

"cold shower"
room was warm. Beds were really high up and chair in the room was clear down on the floor beside the bed. So if you sat in the chair couldn't see over the bed. Shower never had hot water staff didn't want to help. Dog across the way barking all night. Doors slamming All night. Smell pot all night
"Perfect Location for Travellers"
I booked this hotel knowing we would be en route south. My choice was perfect for us. Easy access to come and go. comfortable bed and a good breakfast to boot! We were able to get up and get downtown to see the Arch and to hop on a trolley tour of the city!

Thanks for taking your time to share your stay at our hotel and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed and hope to see you back again. Crystal Gabel
"Could have been better"
First I should say that when I made the reservation they had no pet rooms that night but did accomodate our small non shedding dog. However we ended up on the first floor which is half below ground level. The ground floor was very noisy with doors slamming until oast midnight. I do wonder if they had better pet rooms on a higher floor. The breakfast was not like I have experienced at other Best Westerns so was a but disappointed and we went to Mcdonalds instead. I thinj the staff was a little short but it was a holiday weekend. Overall the stay was average. I have seen worse.
"Trip to,The Haygoods Concert"
Our trip to St L foe The Haygoods Concert was great ! We stayed at the Best Western St Louis Inn at Arnold Mo . The room was great and clean . Loved the indoor pool . Breakfast was really good and fresh . I would stay there again and recommend it for a just good all around stay !
"Great for an overnight stay when traveling"
Good access from freeway, room clean and comfortable and a good hot breakfast. Only problem was that the Wi-Fi connection did not work the morning when we were checking out. over all, a good place to stop overnight when traveling.
"Needs much improvement "
Stayed last night and was disappointed. Hubs saw roaches in bathroom overnight, Room 230! ?? Room was stuffy, air conditioning did not work properly. Towels could be nicer, rather small. Loved the lighted vanity mirror. Bed was okay. Lights by bed were awful, one side did not work. Floor lamp bulb was non working. Tub was peeling. And most disgusting was the used shampoo, conditioner and an opened bar of soap in the tub area. There were about 10 tissues in the box! Really!!!! Breakfast was sorely lacking. Yogurt machine did not work! NO YOGURT in fridge, no fresh fruit, eggs were nasty, sausages were gross AND...no juice in the juice machine, coffee was good. This hotel needs much improvement. Would not recommend!
"Great Value"
Very good quality, especially for the price - a great value! The hot breakfast is very good-waffles, sausage, biscuits, gravy, eggs, toast, bagels, pastries, cereal & milk, juice, coffee, oh and hashbrowns! We were travelling on a budget and not having to pay for breakfast really helped us a lot - we were able to stay full on our free breakfast two days in a row and only pay for one meal a day. I only wish I'd thought to bring swimsuits so we could have taken advantage of the indoor pool. I was impressed our room had a microwave and fridge, as I didn't opt to pay for those, so that was a pleasant surprise.
"Consistently Great!"
I've stayed here over a dozen times in recent months. Every visit has been a great experience, and if there ever has been an issue, the desk staff has taken care of it quickly. This visit was no different and I'll stay here every time I'm in the St. Louis area.
"Comfortable Stay in a Convenient Location"
We have stated at the Best Western St. Louis Inn for several years as it has become a regular stop during our travels. It is very convenient to the interstate which makes for an easy on and off access. It is in a quiet and safe area. The rooms are neat, clean and the beds are very comfortable for a good nights sleep. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The morning breakfast is average, but plenty to eat to start you out on your day without having to leave the motel to eat.
"Does not deserve 1 star"
I read reviews where many were giving this hotel only 1 or 2 stars. Then I read others that were giving it 4 or 5 stars. Listen to the 4s and 5s. With that said, here's my review. The quality of the breakfast was one of the worst Best Western breakfasts my wife and I have experienced, and that includes about a dozen. If it wasn't for the waffles and waffle-pancakes, we would have gone to the restaurant across the road for breakfast. The taste of the eggs, hash browns, and sausage left a lot to be desired. Hot items were hot, cold items were cold. I will praise the temperature of the milk...one of the coldest Best Western milks I've had. The one girl in the mornings liked to express her life to most of the hotel guests, which wasn't very enjoyable. And the open bottle of liquor outside the 3rd floor exterior door made the hotel look iffy. But due to a non-working fridge, which hasn't been working for quite some time, we were moved to the 2nd floor, where our stay was much more enjoyable, other than the breakfast. Mostly quiet halls. Clean smelling room. And no bed bugs in either room (and yes, I check with a flash light), which is a major concern everywhere. Would I stay here again? Yes. The location was very convenient and easy to get to off I-55. And many other fast food restaurants were just a couple miles on up 55. All in all, I give it 4/5. The breakfast kept it from getting a 5 star from me.
"Quiet out of the way, but close to everything"
Quiet, clean inn in South County. Close to Mall shopping and some great restaurants. Easy to access all highways and short drive downtown when not rush hour. Staff is very helpful. Love the cookies that are hot out of the oven on my arrival. I will be back.
"St Louis"
Is was a vary clean and nice hotel, though the beds was hard and some one needed the ice machine late at night and the the toilet either dripped or ran when we fixed it our selves. When you shut the door and turned the fan on it was not noticeable.
"Stay away"
Hotel is old and run down. Bed was very uncomfortable. Wifi sucked. Housekeeping skipped my room and front desk person didnt care at all. Housekeeping was very loud banging things around. This location gives Best Western a bad name. You could have stayed at a flea infested motel and received the same quality of service and saved money. I will drive out of my way to stay somewhere else the next time my business travels take me to this area.

"Great place to stay"
When we come to St. Louis to go to the LDS temple, we stay at this motel. Close enough for travel, but away from the hustle and bustle closer to the temple. Quiet, relaxing location. Great staff, rooms and other facilities.
"Another Satisfied Best Western Stay"
Clean room, working amenities, courteous staff, convenient location, breakfast, check-in and check-out. Overall satisfied with my stay, with no problems. Breakfast was hot and good quantity available. The parking was sufficient, Would and will stay again! :)
"Heartless"
Two managers with the Best Western heartless ignorant rude pack my things up had them in trash bag for when I got off work I had planned on renting another night I didn't even have to go back and pay for the room I could have got my things when I left and took advantage of them letting me stay one night but I went back to pay for my room and get another night and they had it all my s*** packed in trash bags like I'm some piece of trash like my things were trash! Very rude I was felt very disrespected I felt like maybe they thought they were better than I am I don't know that I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the sad thing is is I love the Best Western I love going there it's convenient for me it's close to my job and in my living situation I need to be able to go there every once in a while I'm homeless but I don't never ask for anything for you I always pay they charge me more than what they said and they treated me like I was worthless trash

You had checked into the room without making any payment or signing any documents. We had your reservation for the night of 25th. You did not have money to pay for the reservation on your card and you were going to come back at 7.00 pm to pay for the room. When you came in Breanna Coleman was working and you asked for the keys for the room without paying and she gave you the keys without taking any payments. Our head housekeeper was checking the vacant rooms on the 26th morning and found stuff in the room which was not in the system and there was no payment. We have full rights to call the cops and would have filed a police complaint for non payment of the room. We waited till 3.00 pm and there was no trace of you, therefore we packed your stuff and kept it at the front desk. The manager did the right thing and its inappropriate of you to call her names. We absolutely do not appreciate this and if you decided to correspond with us in any such way, this matter will be handed to our legal department.
"Getaway Fun"
The room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is located on the southern side of St. Louis and can feel like it is away from everything. The only thing I wish was a little different is the pool hours- I did wish the pool was open later so I could have a chance to use it, but it wasn't that big of an issue.
"Very friendly"
The staff was super friendly and helpful from beginning to the end of our stay! Great breakfast and had good information on local sites to see. We had driven 500+ miles that day so I really appreciated the speedy check in that we received!
"Great hotel, great people"
The employees were outstanding, the room was nice and clean. Great room for the price. The breakfast was good, they offered biscuit and gravy, cheese omelets, and beverages. The person working the desk on this trip was great. The trip prior I question the guys knowledge. He wanted to charge me over $100 per night. Yet the online price was only $70. He said he couldn't match the price. How can you not match the price on your own web-page?
"This place is a unicorn!!"
Unbelievable what a great find this hotel was! It's very clea, very kind staff, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was one of the best I've ever seen at a hotel, and the price for it all was Fab-u-Lous! When choosing a hotel I am always looking at reviews about the cleanliness, with a hotel it's not something I can overlook and this place was very clean, then we look at the comfort level of beds. I have a cage on my lower spine, and arthritis and these beds are very comfortable. The breakfast had waffles, eggs, sausage, tortillas, cereal, yogurt, pastries and bagels, delicious potatoes and more and more. The low price was great! We were traveling to the unexpected funeral of a family member, and at a time like this it was great to find this place as such a blessing along the way.
"It had potential."
Reviews were good, and it's close to IKEA. But the only positive I can give is that it was clean. Beds weren't assembled correctly, so we bounced and swayed all night. Two nights there and housekeeping never came. But we didn't bother to complain. But when we arrived at 8:40 for breakfast each morning, 20min before it should close...and the hot items were gone? I complained. There was no food staff the first day, no replenishment of items. The man at the front desk was slowly multitasking, but not refilling the hot entrees. On morning two, I mentioned it to the overworked food person, who then complained about how hard her job was...to everyone. While it was unprofessional, she truly was working hard without support. But she whined a lot, and the food still didn't come (at 9:05 she explained that the microwaved eggs I asked about at 8:45 take 24 minutes). I never understood why she had me wait rather than telling me they weren't coming. There was something about holding the coffee hostage bc the manager didn't bring the tool to fix the machine. So we didn't even have coffee. But the pool is awkwardly beside the breakfast nook, so we sat and watched people in their bathing suits (weird view!). This place was clean, with potential, but poorly managed. Hopefully they'll fix it. I had hoped to say something to the front desk on my way out, but the staff was busy talking and didn't acknowledge anyone departing...I'm pretty sure they had no plans to fix our experience (but I didn't exactly give them the time, either). I'm not interested in a blank apology "for my experience"...
"Best "
Room was clean and hotel breakfast was hot! It was absolutely fabulous and Dewayne at the front desk was great!! I will be returning very soon! We take a date trip once a month and this will be our new go to hotel!
"In Town For a Wedding"
We were in town for a wedding and spent 2 night here. We have stayed here before and have always had a great experience. It's always a nice room at a fairly reasonable price. It's convenient to almost everything we need to do when we're in town.
"Great place to stay with kids"
The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a great breakfast every morning and Dwayne baked cookies every afternoon. We where asked daily if everything was ok with our room when I mentioned I needed a Fan it was there within 30 minutes. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling with small children, they even have a small heated pool that small children can enjoy away from the bigger kids.
"NIce presentation"
The hotel was clean and you can tell that they try to make it trendy and with the times. The only issue that I have is that the noise level was more than what I would like for it to have been. You could hear noise from other rooms and the hallway noise was very loud in the room.
"Nice stay easy access"
Clean, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, nice staff. They were very accommodating for our little dog. We would stay again . Nice restaurant across parking lot plus desk clerk gave us information for another restaurant.
"No pride taken in housekeeping and breaksfest."
If you stay here you may want to bring your own sheets or cleaning supplies because you can guarantee that the housekeepers will take shortcuts. Go to the restaurant next door for breakfast because the hotel breakfast is PITIFUL! Hotel Management: please do not respond with an automated filled in excuse form. Just fix the problems.
"nice stay"
My husband and I spontaneously went to St. Louis for the weekend. This hotel was great. We have no complaints. Staff was great and friendly. The noise level was what you should expect at any hotel. Our room had a hot tub that was awesome, especially after a day of traveling and exploring the city.
"Poor service, smelly hotel"
The staff was not very courteous. The hallways smell of smoke and mold. The first floor is not accessible from the lobby, you have to go outside to get to the first floor (no internal stairs or elevator) which is extremely inconvenient. Difficult to sleep due to doors slamming at all hours of the night, people yelling in the halls. Not a great place to stay even for the price, look elsewhere.
"Nice room poor breakfast"
The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The rates were very good. The front desk person was ok at best. As for breakfast, that was a different story. They had no eggs when I got there and twenty minutes later, still no eggs. They said they were coming. It seemed they were understaffed and it looked like one girl was trying to do everything. Also, the lids for the coffee didn't fit on the cups. I would stay here again, but the breakfast situation needs fixed. A Cracker Barrell is within walking distance.
"Nice hotel on south end of St Louis"
Aside from a tub and sink that didn't drain very well, room was quiet, comfortable, and smelled clean. The bed was quite comfortable. I was very satisfied with my stay. The location was convenient for my purposes.
"Clean but smokey"
The hotel was a great value. Very clean and nice staff but the hotel was terribly smokey. It's a non-smoking hotel so this shouldn't have been an issue. It seemed to be coming from the employee only room on the first floor. I would recommend requesting a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor and hope it doesn't get to you.
"Great, clean and quiet hotel with easy highway access"
We found this to be a great, clean and quiet hotel with easy highway access. We received excellent customer service from Crystal at the front desk upon check-in, and Crystal even called our room about 10 minutes after we checked in to make sure everything in our room was in order-which it was. We enjoyed breakfast the next morning, and found everything to be great. Would definitely recommend!
"Easy access to I-55/255 from hotel, St. Louis, MO"
We are Best Western people. This one is easy to access the site, has an outstanding hot breakfast, has helpful desk mgr., and room is always prepared with supplies and needed items. We are learning more: we may bring our dog some time. Also, the basement room we stayed in has a tub in the floor! Who knew?
"Over charged for checking out at 3:30"
I was charged $57.00 for checking out at 3:30 due to business. the cleaning crew was knocking on my door every 15 min starting at 7:30 am. because they could not red the do not disturb sign on the door.
"St. Louis Best Western was a good choice."
I found the acoustics were good. The bed was wonderful. The hot breakfast was fresh and tasty. The location was good for my site to visit that evening. All around good experience. Cracker Barrel was in walking distance. Due to new knees, the staff was very accommodating for walking to and from my room for close parking, ice machine and lobby that offered the pool and the breakfast nook.
"Best Western, Always the Best"
Wherever I travel, in the US or Europe or South America, I always try to find a Best Western wherever I go.Whether I'm traveling for for vacations or fun I always look for a Best Western that is convenient for my destination is I know I will find a wonderful host hotel with excellent service, a clean modern room, and helpful desk employees
"Average Hotel With Issues for Price"
Had to pick a local place to stay while home floors were getting done and sealed, so picked this one. The front desk staff was very friendly and morning breakfast pretty good. Minor things not in order in room such as toilet paper holder, tissues holder .. just minor things. The indoor swimming pool was a bit cloudy and not hot tub in pool area like most hotels. Only soda vending machine was on the third floor and quite a distance from our room. They had railroad workers staying there with their large trucks, etc. which made parking difficult after going out a bit and returning. Overall, a decent hotel for the money. However not the best one in the Best Western chain I have stayed at and seemed quite inferior to the rest in the chain I have stayed at.
"Great location and staff"
We only planned to stay here one night, but ended up staying nearly a week. Great service from staff, nice heated pool, close to Cracker Barrel and QT right off I-55. They are also one of the few pet friendly hotels and we had our furbaby with us, so that was great for our family. Not to mention the pet fee is very reasonable. I also joined the rewards program and will earn points that never expire, unlike other programs I've enrolled in.
"Nice place, but there's something you need to know "
My sister and I stayed there when she had surgery at the Laser spine institute. It's a nice place; clean, nice staff, great breakfast buffet..... but ( and I can't believe I'm saying this) it's haunted. We had " strange" unexplainable events happen EVERY day. When we checked out we decided to ask if anyone else had reported anything unusual....the lady at the front desk described exactly what had been happening and told us other guests had been grabbed...if you don't mind that, it's a wonderful place to stay.
"Best Western in S. St Louis county"
Very friendly staff and helpful. Nice size rooms very comfortable. We stay there when ever we come to St. Louis because the highways are very close and it's very easy to get around town from there. There are several places to eat a few miles and a big shopping center near by.
"great hotel and friendly staff"
We checked in and talking about going to Grants House and Civil War Musuem. The female at the desk then printed for us directions for both places without me asking. We had lovely talk. When we got back a gentlemen there helped my son bring our two suitcases to our room. Super staff, good location if you are willing not to stay downtown. Also breakfast was much better than most best westerns we have stayed at. Very impressed with the staff and their friendliiness.
"One night stay"
First stop on our Route 66 trip and the BW was great. Got checked in quickly and we were able to get settled in and go and relax in the pool. A great restaurant was recommended which we enjoyed very much. The room was perfect and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
"As the name says"
We had a really good stay, pool area is great to relax in. Bedroom was nice and clean, it was quiet with ample parking. The breakfast was early, 6:30, so we could get away early. Breakfast was well set out and had sufficient variety.
"Over all stay was pleasant"
Middle of our stay our room keys did not work and when going to front desk to find out why was told that we only had the room for two nights instead of three even though we had paid for three and I had documentation that proved we had paid for three nights. Upon further checking the service desk staff did find that we had the room for three nights and then reissued us new keys. While leaving the desk over heard the next costumers in line complain their room keys also did not work. We would have also liked if breakfast would go past 9am. Otherwise overall stay was pleasant.
"Excellent experience"
Hotel is clean and well taken care of. Easy access from 55 & 70. Staff is friendly & helpful. Breakfast was eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles plus the other usual items. I definitely recommend this location.
"Would be 5 star if..."
This would be a 5 star hotel if they took some noise control measures in the hallway and stopped the doors to the rooms from slamming and rattling. Otherwise great place! Very clean, great, full breakfast. Clean pool and kiddie pool.
"Great night of rest"
This is an excellent property....very quiet and restful. The room was clean and fresh, the bed very comfortable...the only thing I would suggest would be that they somehow add a few more tables to their breakfast area. It was very crowded and the way it is set up does not lend itself well to smooth traffic flow.
"Best Western -- Saint Louis"
We stayed at the BW Saint Louis and it was just barely average. Although our room was decent, clean and fairly spacious, the shower was broken and leaked so it was a pain to deal with (room 125). Our room was on the first floor and that part of the hotel is the oldest and needs to be updated. The wifi kept kicking me out and I needed to re-login every day. I've never experienced that before. Although not terrible, it was disappointing. The breakfast, which was included, is awful. The sausage tasted like rubber. The eggs were passable, but improvement is needed. Yogurt was available via a dispenser -- not in individual containers which I'm used to. The biscuits were soggy and had no flavor. Ugh. I skipped the breakfast after trying it once and bought our own at Starbucks. Dewayne checked us in and was helpful, but the receptionist in the morning was absent for a while in the morning, so I gave up waiting for her to return (to ask for another room). She might have been dealing with another customer issue to be fair. They have coin operated laundry and that was a life saver as we drove up from Nashville and it was cheap and easy to operate and have inexpensive detergent pouches which was great. Thank you for that! Our bed was comfortable and the A/C worked fine, so that was nice since it was regularly in the 90s during our stay. By comparison, we stayed at the Clarion in Nashville, and although it was a bit more expensive, I would advise BW to check out how they manage their properties. The room was super cheap, it was $85/night, and the location is about 15 minutes from downtown Saint Louis, so that was a nice plus. All in all, I would NOT stay here again, but the price was right and the room was clean and the bed was a comfortable King. Location was decent, but we had a car. I hope the BW is listening and tries to improve this property. It could be refashioned into an acceptable, economical hotel. I tried to fair and honest in my overall assessment.
"Good Stay!"
This is my first time staying at the BW hotel in St. Louis. I really enjoyed the stay and would definite stay again. The hotel looked to have had some recent renovations, particularly in the guest rooms.
"Non-Smoking Room - SMOKED IN!"
Worst smelling room and hall way ever in a hotel! Breathing issues and sinus infection resulted! Avoid at all cost! Breakfast area so crowded and small you could not get to the food - much less find a place to eat. TOO small, crowded and understaffed. Hotel in slight dis-repair. Recommend spending a few $ more and get a better experience!
"Average Stay,"
The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was rated way above my expectations. The pool on the other hand was very small. There was a kiddie pool instead of a hot tub, which was different, but would've been nice if I had my kids with me. I didn't care for the beds my friend and I had, but my friend seemed to like them.
"Best place to stay."
During this vacation, the Best Western was by far the best place we could have picked. Everything we could have wanted, hot breakfast, clean room, comfy bed. My Wife loved the yogurt machine with different toppings.
"Can't say enough good things! "
What a hotel! Expected a lot less for this price point, but they surpassed my epxexations by a lot. Great staff - very friendly and helpful. They gave us a dinner suggestion that was spot on, and great tips for getting to the arch (park near it). The distance from the main area of downtown was not an issue since St. Louis is not nearly as congested as other major cities and parking downtown was very affordable ($7). Loved the water in the lobby. Clean and updated rooms. Pool was great - especially loved the shallow pool for our toddler. We all enjoyed the variety and quality of breakfast. Coffee was particular good. Beds were comfortable and air was great. Excellent experience here!
"Good...until the last night"
Woke up at night and found a bug on bed. Killed it and it was full of blood. Woke my wife and she gets out of bed, then we see a much larger bug. We kill it and Google it, and find out it is bed bugs. It was our last night, so we gathered our kids and stuff and check out at 3am. We informed the staff, and he just says he hadn't heard of any bed bug problems before. However, I checked the online reviews and see bed bugs mentioned more than once, wished I had paid more attention to those post beforehand. Other than that, room was fine and clean. Staff was great at check-in. It is a nice location, easy access to I-55 and within a mile or two of restaurants and shopping. Liked the 1.5 foot pool since we had younger kids. The air conditioner kept blowing my curtains up, even on low fan speed. Nice breakfast options, but ran out of items that were sometimes not replaced quickly.

"My experience at Best Western in St. Louis"
I was very satisfied with my stay. The staff at the hotel was very helpful . The only thing that was the problem was the egg and bacon on Sunday morning. The two girls that was working that morning was doing their best to keep up. What it seemed to me is that everyone came down to breakfast at the same time.
"Great place to stay for 100 bucks"
We were very surprised with the breakfast. We thought it would be your average cereal and a bagel breakfast but they had much more to offer including cheese omelette, sausage, fried potatoes, and a pancake and a Belgian waffle maker
"Wonderful accommodations "
My family is taking the great American road trip. Making plans day by day. We we arrived very late at night we found friendly staff, a large clean room, free parking and wifi. The ice-cold lemon water was a refreshing bonus. Breakfast was first rate with a yogurt bar, 2 flavors of batter to make either pancakes or waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy along with the regular fare of cold cereal, pastries and bagels. Wasn't as close to downtown St. Louis as some might want but the price is worth the drive. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay there again.
"Good stay"
A first rate BEst Western property...great value for price..very good breakfast bar that varies from day to day, and easy access to St. Louis attractions. Cracker Barrel right next door and shopping centers and other eateries only a mile away.
"Great stay!"
We stayed at best western for a baseball tournament. It was a great experience. The location was right across from cracker barrel so was walking distance. The pool was nice and clean. The people were friendly. Will defiantly come back.
"average place to stay"
This is just a place to sleep, A lot of noise from above rooms, hallways, & even outside, very poor insulation. Beds appeared clean & were comfortable. The room we were in had no remote for the TV & after getting 1 from the front desk, it didn't work either. Breakfast was average, not great.
"Short stay"
Hotel location was nice. Right off interstate. Staff were friendly. Swimming pool was good although hot tub was a little cooler than the pool. Breakfast was better than most other hotels with these options. Rooms were good, fridge safe and microwave in them. Although beds were a little hard for my liking.
"Family funeral"
Our stay was very pleasant for the one night at this hotel. The staff were most helpful, and the breakfast was better than other BW's where we stayed. The breakfast lady also was helpful in showing us how to access the hotel computer for quests. The one problem that we did encounter was the latch on the door of our room. The latch was not fasten completely to the frame. To lock the door one must pull/push hard. We did report this to the management when we checked out in the morning,.
"Nice place to stay without being directly in the busy city"
I have stayed at the St. Louis Inn several times and plan on staying every time I go to St. Louis. It is not too far from the actual city, easy to get to and the people are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it if you really don't want to drive into the city/
"Review of the motel"
My wife and I usually stay at Best Western and usually are satisfied with the accommodations. However, this was a bad experience.Plus of the motel clerk, Dewayne, was friendly, good coffee and the towels smell clean This was a bad example of a Best Western. The pet room had a urine smell, urine stains on the bed skirt. window was dirty and bath tub was not clean. The floor was tile and was dirty and sticky. The bottom of our feet was black after walking on the floor. Had a full breakfast, how the food was not good. Parking lot was not clean and my wife was concern for our vehicle because the a lot of late activity in the parking lot.
"Conventient hotel on south side of St Louis"
Easy interstate access, lots of parking, Cracker Barrel restaurant next door, quiet room, plenty of breakfast. Good for touring, avoids downtown traffic, easy get away if you are coming from or heading south - exit 193. Fairly close to the Busch brewery just north..
"Good value. All you need for a basic hotel stay."
Though it is not a five star hotel and the location is a little awkward we have made this Best Western our preferred hotel when we are visiting Southern St. Louis. Nothing is within walking distance but everything is close. This was our third stay at this location and we still left saying we will be coming back.
"Most Comfortable"
Would recommend this to anyone travelling through the St. Louis area. The room was quiet, comfortable, excellent location-easy off and on the main road. The staff was friendly, everyone we pass had a greeting and a smile.
"Good Value, Great Breakfast"
Had a pleasant short stay. For the price, the room was nice, bed comfortable and breakfast great. For travelling through, that's all I needed. Don't know what else to say. I just trying to fill up 200 characters.
"We enjoyed our stay!"
The Best Western St. Louis Inn was very nice. We had no issues whatsoever. Room and bathroom were clean, our king size bed was comfy and we had a sofa (I'm sure it was a sofabed). Staff was courteous and breakfast was very nice.

"Amazing!!!"
I absolutely loved this hotel. It was close enough to everything we wanted to go see, but it was also far enough away from the main part that we felt very safe and relaxed in our room. The staff were an amazing help especially when I need to have a later check out. The breakfast each morning tasted fantastic and had us missing it the morning after we left. I lived this place and would gladly go back!
"5/30-6/2/17 Visit"
My wife and I were visiting St. Louis with another family and stayed at this facility. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly. One reason this facility was chosen is because it is pet friendly. Free breakfast had a good selection of foods. The one problem we encountered was that the pool was closed due to unexpected problem in the pool room that needed remodeling/repair, but we were told that a neighboring motel that is a sister motel would allow us onuse their pool.
"Like most other hotels"
Good location. Good breakfast. The beds were as comfortable as most other hotels. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. Pool was good. There is also a kiddie pool. Our choice of hotel when staying in St. Louis.
"5"
The hotel staff were nice. I got the best treatment for my stay. They help my son connect his tablet to the wifi. I will recommend this hotel to friends and families any day and any given time. Keep up the good work.
"Not worth that price, not as good as expected"
When we first arrived at there, it's about 9:15pm on 26th May, they had problems in their computers, when all things are checked, but can't print out the paper for me to sign, then need to start over the whole process again, there is a technical support staff standby, but still take a while for me to check-in, then the receptionist gave me the keys for a room, but she didn't check it (may be due to the computer problem, she didn't want to spend more time on checking the room's availability), when I open the room, I hear some human voice, also there are still some personal stuff inside the room, this room is certainly not available for new guest, so I need to go to the reception and ask her to change another room for me, she is serving another customer, so I have to wait, but due to the computer system error, it takes me a long time to wait, after settled down the previous customers, it's my turn, and again it takes a longer time for her to find another room for me. So the total check-in time is more than triple of the normal time! You can't imagine you need to spend 20 min or more for checking in. I know the computer problem may just happened occasionally, they also don't want to have it, but there are several points that disappointing me, and those are in daily-manner, e.g. the air-conditioner is very noisy when it needs to generate cool air, it caused me difficult to get into sleep; the fridge didn't have the freezer compartment, so that I can't freeze my ice packs to keep my food cold during the journey (as I go with 2 young kids, they need to drink milk, which should be kept cold during the journey, I need to freeze the ice packs to keep them cold during the road trip, and the fridge didn't have the freezer compartment, what can I do is to get some ice when we check-out, hope to keep the food cold, I have been to 4 hotels in this journey, all of them have a fridge with freezer compartment, except this hotel, and the accommodation fees of all the other hotels are lower than that one, but they provide a better fridge than this one); the conditioner and shampoo they provided have a very very tiny opening, you need to pump over 30 times in order to get enough amount to wash your hair, I don't want to waste time and effort to pump so many times, so I use my own shampoo and conditioner, but what I think is although they provided those for you, but the opening is so tiny, every time you pump out the amount is so little, it really hesitate people to use it; the facial tissue they provided is also a cheap quality one, I stayed in another hotel which is about $50 per night, but it still provided me the high quality facial tissue, but this hotel, which caused me over $80 per night, but just provided a cheap quality facial tissue for the customers; we book a room for 4 people, but there is only one chair in the room, really not enough; for the socket outlets, not all of them have electricity, only half of them is work, others had no power to come out, as I need to charge camera, phones, tablets, etc. It's really not enough, you may have to unplug some of the lights in order for you to charge your electronic items. Moreover, there is a big spider in the bathtub once when I came into the room. If it's a cheap hotel, may be I can accept some of the things above, but it's not cheap, it cause me over $80 per night (which is the price that I booked 3 months prior to the trip, if I book later, it will be over $100 per night), but the quality they provided to us is not worth for that price! However, there is one good point, which is the breakfast, it's really above average, as there are many choice, also have some hot items provided such as cheese omelet, which is good.

"Nice hotel"
I would stay in this motel again. The staff was nice, rooms clean and breakfast was good. I just had a few things that would of made this stay a 10 if it was different. The air did not cool as cold as I would of liked it to at night. I am hot natured so it could of just been me. Normally you don't have enough hot water for showers but in this case we had too much. When you turn it down to get cooler the water pressure also went down. Like all indoor pools the chlorine was strong but this motel had windows that they opened so that helped a whole lot. Overall very satisfied

"Absolutely awful"
Stayed here for one night booked through travel agent to stay in St Louis. Firstly it's miles from the city 17 miles to be exact which we were not made aware of. It was not clean and the staff were not very welcoming when we arrived the check out lady was more helpful. Shower was not clean hairs in the bath and we had to ask for towels as there was none in the room overall for the price we paid it was not satisfactory and will not be returning.
"Nice quiet hotel."
Hotel is in a very convenient location. Easy on and off highway. Close enough to St Louis while not actually being in the city. Clean spacious rooms. Quiet inside the rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. Different menu items each day.
"Spring Break disaster"
I'm going to do this the easiest way possible and just list everything. Day/Night 1 *Nobody at the front desk when we were checking in. Stood there for 15 minutes before someone showed up and then the lady was very rude to me when I brought up the fact that I had been standing there for 15 minutes. (Seriously I could have robbed the place and they wouldn't have known). *we only had 2 towels in our room for a family of 4. Same lady gave attitude when I walked down to get more. *there was blood, makeup and hair on one of beds. Called front desk and same lady brought us more bedding but we had to put it on and strip the old stuff off. (Should have checked out right then) Day 2 *Safe didn't work. Let front desk know and was told they would get fixed that day. *Room was not cleaned even though we had the "please make up room" sign on door. Was told that house keeping basically couldn't read and thought it was a "do not disturb" sign. Day 3 *Safe wasn't fixed the previous day. (seriously all or needed was batteries - how hard is his). On duty lady manager came in to try to fix and told us hey we're out of batteries. There a store at the end of the road - go buy some! *talked to manager while she was there about all the previous issues we've had. She said she would make sure it was done while we were out that day. And also to come see her the next day when we were checking out and she would take care of us *ran back by the hotel before dinner and it was not cleaned. Walked to front desk, same manager was about to leave, talked to her. She threw her jacket down and stormed up to our room and made the beds herself and grabbed the 2 days worth of dirty towels but didn't replace them, take trash out, replenish tissue or cups. *came back to semi clean room and had to go search for towels because the front desk didn't have any. Day 4 - check out!! *manager who was suppose to "take care of us" was to busy cleaning rooms to come down and talk to us. Seriously!! Here's the only pros (sorta) - breakfast was decent. But when they ran out of something it took f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get it replenished if it every did. Also the kids enjoyed the good size indoor pool until it broke. The main manager was never there for us to discuss everything with him. We even left our contact info for him to call us so we could voice our concern for his hotel but he never called. The only way we would go back would be if it's the last available hotel near St. Louis.

"Not worth the price way over priced"
Food was cold the shower head was so dirty u couldn't even get a good shower I wanted to go buy the vinegar to clean. The remote was stick. Towels were stuck in the refrigerator, too much money not worth it

"Not what I expected "
I've been trying to decide how to score my stay since we visited in late April. Cons - The breakfast was adequate, but they quickly ran out of certain items. It was loud most of the time, since they were having kids Birthday parties the whole weekend. Because of that we never went to the already small pool which was full of kids. The elevator didn't work most of the time. Our room was not cleaned very well to start with (hair everywhere, dirty night stand, dusty) nor was it cleaned during our stay. My room key quit working everyday that we stayed. It was dated but sloppily renovated if that makes any sense. Pros - The food I was able to have for breakfast was good. The jacuzzi in our room was nice and worked well. The bed was comfortable. Everything in the room was in working order (except the dresser). Overall, I would not stay again. Was not the relaxing stay we had hoped for. The staff was pleasant and unbothered at the same time. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Also I left an item behind and have never been able to get anyone at the front desk on the phone. It has been weeks now, so I'm giving up. Save up your money longer and stay at a Holiday Inn or Hampton! Never had a bad experience at one of those!

"Clean and nice room"
The room was nice and roomy. The only thing that disappointed us was that the pool and hot tub were under construction which we did not realize before booking the room. Other than that it was a great stay with nice staff.

"Trip to see Cardinals"
Very good hotel in a somewhat out-of-the-way area of St. Louis. However, well worth the trip. Straight shot to Busch Stadium, too! Very clean room and nice staff. (Wear Cardinals hat and will probably get even more help!)
"Average"
This hotel is a mixed bag. Welcome by two ladies on reception was excellent, the room was large, clean and had a fridge and microwave. Draw backs are that the rooms are along a long corridor off reception area which meant the hotel was noisy. There was nowhere to get food or drink, we had a walk across to a service station in the midst of a thunder storm to get some basic provisions as the hotel is on something of a retail park with nothing else in the vicinity. Breakfast was included but was pretty unappealing. All in all the hotel served a purpose but I wouldn't return,
"good hotel"
up on arrival the staff was very professional they got me checked in quick. they have all ways treated me well there. I stay here ever time i'm in the area so far 3 or 4 times this year the rooms are all ways clean & the bed is comfortable I rest well here I recommend this hotel, as this is a good hotel. they make me feel at home here.
"Rooms Clean - Friendly Staff"
Traveled long, got to Hotel Late at around 10pm, Greeted with a friendly smile, I asked the front desk Staff for a extra blanket before we could get our luggage from the car, we checked in the room, and a fresh warm blanket was on the bed. The Cleaning associate was friendly and kind. we tracked her down before leaving just to thank and bless her for her service. When we were checking out i was not feeling good, and asked to have my thermo cup filled with hot water, need I say more done! So this is the Type of service we would love to have at every away from home HOME. Thank Guys We Pray increase in all of your lives. D&G
"Great Experience"
New management and staff since we were there last October. I called before booking to make certain I would not have any of the problems we encountered last October, 2016. Glad I gave them a chance again. Management has hands on and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will return to this Best Western again when we are in the St. Louis area.
"Spring Break"
This was an excellent place to stay! It was very clean we had maid service everyday! The breakfast bar was outstanding any and everything you could possibly want to eat! No many how many guest were eating the lady always kept it stocked with hot fresh food!! They had amazing customer service!! The Hotel looked as if it was recently renovated!! I would gladly give this a 10/10 or 5 stars!!
"Okay stay. 50/50 on whether I would stay again."
Staff is very friendly, rooms are modern, but hotel itself outside of the rooms are old. Noise carries across and down the walls very easily. Large group of kids were very noisy first night; alerted staff and second night was better (parents and chaperones: please control your kids!) Convenient to I-55. Staff is trying very hard to provide a pleasant experience but only so much they can do.

I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. "Nice place"
A little out of the way, but great and comfortable stay. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very nice. Room was quiet and comfortable. Glad they had good darkening curtains as the lot next door had like stadium lights. Nice place. I would stay there again next time we are in the area.
"Great for the price!"
Let me start off with a tip, don't book any Best Western through a third party website. I noticed a lot of the complaints on this hotel mention they booked through third party websites. Search around on third party websites for the best price, then call Best Western's reservation line, (the 1-800 number, not the hotel directly because they don't have the flexibility on prices that their reservation reps do). Their reservation reps will match or beat any third party website prices. And that way if any problems arise they can't give you the "You have to contact the third party provider to work this out" excuse, and you're likely to have a much better experience because Best Western is getting all of the money rather than having to pay a fee to a third party website for the booking. Now on to my review. A couple years ago I had a business meeting in St. Louis. My company booked me a room in a lavish hotel right across from the Gateway Arch. Literally I opened my curtains and had a picture perfect full view of the arch. The room was bigger than my first apartment, and everything about it was absolutely flawless. That room was also over $300 a night. This is not that hotel. If that's what you are looking for, this is not the hotel for you. This is a "You get what you pay for" hotel. Actually a little better. Cons: We had a double queen bed room. Room was a little small, but that was expected. The bathroom was basically the size of a walk in closet, just enough room for a tub and toilet to fit. No vent in the bathroom either. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The wifi is spotty and lost connectivity frequently. The hotel pool is small and the water is freezing. And once you get more than 10 people in the pool at once, everyone is pretty much in everyone else's space. This is especially annoying when you have unsupervised children in the pool jumping and diving off the sides and having splash fights with each other. There are signs in the pool area that say no diving, but there is no one enforcing that rule. I watched as parents sat poolside staring at their phones while their kids went absolutely wild; jumping, diving, splashing, running around, screaming. And this went on for all three nights we were there. Pros: The room was nice and clean with comfortable beds and pillows. The noise level for us was minimal with just the occasional hallway noise coming through. The front desk staff was very friendly, courteous and professional. Check in and check out were super easy and quick. Upon getting into our room we noticed a light bulb was burnt out. The front desk lady that checked us in, (who's name I wish I could remember), was there with a new bulb within minutes and even apologized for taking that long. When one of the bed supports came loose causing the bed to visibly move every time you touched it, the same front desk lady had us transferred to a new room within minutes, and apologized again about the problems we were having. Housekeeping were quick to clean the room and replace the towels. They even folded our kids' blankets that we brought from home and tucked in our kids' teddy bears with them! Very cute. In room refrigerator kept drinks and food cold and the microwave worked well, (not generally my experience with hotel refrigerators and microwaves). Breakfast was excellent each morning with a good selection of food, (make your own pancakes and waffles, scrambled eggs, omelets, bacon, toast, biscuits, cereal, etc.), and even a selection of toppings, plus a selection of juices, milk and coffee. Spacious free parking. Small but clean lobby and eating area. Free wifi, (even if it is spotty). Small but nice looking gym, (I didn't use any of the equipment though). Overall a very good choice for the budget minded traveler. A few minor cons, but big pluses on the pros of this hotel. Definitely one of the best 2-to-3-star hotels I've stayed in.
"Great service"
I would give them a 3.5 score..... Pros: The service and staff at the hotel was excellent. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good and offered a good variety of items. Cons: The building is dated. You can see they are in the process of trying to repair and update the facility.
"You get what you pay for"
The overall stay was good small issues on one of the days but everywhere has issues sometimes nothing that would prevent me from staying again. Check in staff was friendly. Pool area could be bigger. More kid friendly breakfast.
"close by st Anthony's hospital"
We were looking for a place close by the hospital and this one is great. You can get to the hosp on a back road and its so much less stress than the hiway. Place is clean. staff is very accommodating . the breakfast was more than enough. My only complaint would be that the bed was very hard.
L23170, Manager at BEST WESTERN St. Louis Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your response. I apologize for the beds, as the mattresses are brand new and have not been used much. I appreciate your loyalty to our brand and would like to thank you for your business. Sincerely Crystal Gable
"Nice hotel"
The staff was extremely helpful, including the desk staff and the cleaning staff. The price was very reasonable, and the breakfast was decent. The rooms were nice, with good bedding (though beds are a bit soft for my liking). Drawbacks: Breakfast area and pool were quite small, and the neighbors were pretty loud, but that was probably a result of the hotel being booked (probably due to its popularity!) I do wish it was about 5 miles closer to downtown, but I would stay here again.
"Stay to visit father at hospital "
Stayed at this place for a couple nights to visit a family member in hospital the hotel was clean although the elevator had a strong burnt oder the staff was very accommodating and helpful and the hotel was less then 10 mins from hospital and the breakfast was good in the mornings
"Fantastic"
Chelsea and Denisha were extremely helpful, patient, and professional. I had a unique situation, and they helped me out. I also appreciate their manager for being reachable even after her shift and assisting us.

"Very NICE motel"
We have stayed in NUMEROUS motel over the recent years and this one rates in the TOP bracket of motels. I don't know where some of these people stayed that rate this 'dirty'' and poorly maintained. Maybe, the management has turned a leaf and is doing a better job, but We found it very clean and nice. The breakfast area was very clean and well maintained and a very good selection of items. The lady in charge kept everything full and clean. My only complaint, which was corrected, after I complained was the ADDED 'SAFE' charge to the bill AFTER I had signed in and found the final billing the next morning Nothing was ever mentioned about a SAFE charge prior to registration or during the Online Reservation process. We did not NEED a safe and did not use the one in the closet, but they wanted to charge me more for it. Upon complaining, I was told, it was on OLD computer charge in the 'system' that had not been removed, and they would remove at Exit, BUT they made no effort to remove it until I complained, SO< Watch for it and object. Other than that that, it is a great place to stay and very convenient to I-55

"Nothing great, not awful"
This is an older motel. A worker was removing snags from the carpets, room by room...and they needed it. However everything worked just fine and we had a nice 6-day stay. For an extra $4 we had a jacuzzi, which was refreshing. Good breakfast.

"Dissatisfied"
Light bulbs burned out. Took 20 minutes to receive from house keeping after they were informed. Bar soap was not in room and had to request. Carpet tiles were snagged and did not adhere to the floor. Printed TV guide did not match channels on TV. TV had to be changed using up or down option, could not tune to a higher or lower channel in any other manner.

We appreciate your time in pointing out the areas in most need of attention as we work towards updating and improving upon our accommodations. We will address the maintenance and housekeeping task right away for the benefit of our future guests, which hopefully will include yourself.
"Poor Housekeeping"
Never stayed at a hotel that did not clean my room daily. We always vacated the room before 11:30 AM and removed the DND sign. That gives housekeeping staff ample time to clean before days end. Complained to front desk each night when we returned to the hotel. Even called front desk on two mornings before we left for the day. Finally after three nights housekeeping cleaned our room. There was a complete breakdown of staff communications.

"Nice room."
Nice and clean room. Comfy beds. Nice furniture. Nice hot breakfast. Very nice young lady's at the front desk and breakfast bar. Very good for the price of the room. Very good location. Nice parking lot and secure area.

"Nice rooms and really good breakfast"
Needed a room and we found this on Hotels.com. The night clerk was very helpful and had fresh baked chocolate cookies ready at the desk for us. Check in was quick and our room was right down the hall from the desk. We had two queens to choose from and we chose the most comfortable for us. The room had a microwave and refrigerator if needed. The shower and sink were separate which is handy. Next day the breakfast had waffles(!!!) and to my surprise a pancake maker with chocolate chip batter. These were very tasty. The sausage gravy was thick and the biscuits were hot and tender both went well together. The eggs and sausage were tasty, there also was home fries that would have been better crispy but over all it was one of the best breakfasts we have had on this trip.

We use this hotel all the time for out of town guests. Our clients are always pleased with the venue and service. Location is very convenient right off the highway. Breakfast is good with a decent variety to choose from. Recommended.

"Friendly staff"
I had a good visit. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was decent. The doors are a bit thin but noise doesn't really bother me. I felt safe and I feel like I got my money's worth.

"Good For A Day Or Two"
PROS - Good location, reasonable price. Breakfast good. Bed excellent. Great cable TV choices. Lots of places to eat nearly. CONS - Check in girl clueless, took 10 minutes to get keys. No handicapped parking spaces. Room smelled of something trying to cover up smoke. Only 2 towels provided in room. Noisy, we heard everything outside the door, creaking floor above us, parking lot busy and sometimes loud. Given a reasonable price, hotel is tolerable for a day or two, but would not want to stay much longer. A decent choice for a stopover, if traveling through, but certainly not for a business traveler, or for someone who needs a lot of sleep.

We hope to see you again soon.
"The wonderful world of St. Louis, MO."
We stayed in the Best Western which was nice for the price. They serve a hot breakfast, Have an indoor pool which is not very large but ok and goes up to about 6 ft. The room was clean and the front desk staff were very nice. They have a small exercise room for those that want to exercise a little. There is a Cracker Barrel located directly across from the hotel. Rooms were cleaned daily. Bathroom was very clean. Great for someplace to rest if you are not looking for the top of the line.

"Room change for the better"
Problems incurred on the first night including non-functioning appliances was resolved with an excellent room alternative for the remainder of the stay. The first nights' manager was obviously ill and even commented about health issues, he was unable to resolve the room's issues. The 2nd day was much better with an alert, attentive, helpful, kind day manager. He made certain remainder of our stay was satisfactory.

"Great hotel & great location!"
Right off I-55 on the outskirts of St. Louis, this hotel was a convenient stop over on our recent road trip. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Just what we have come to expect from Best Western! A Cracker Barrel restaurant sits right across the access road from the hotel, so you can walk over to enjoy a delicious and relaxing meal after a long drive. Despite being close to the interstate, there was hardly any traffic noise and we slept well. Thank you so much to the staff of the Best Western St. Louis Inn for your gracious hospitality!

"Friendly Staff"
I am very impressed with the staff here. I am teaching classes in the meeting room and they went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Management produced a flip chart, stand , and writing utensils as I left mine behind. Thanks.

"Great Choice for Business"
Simple, Clean and Perfect for a casual business trip. Hotel recently renovated and has a fresh up to date feeling. Staff was friendly and professional Not a lot of food or retail options at the exit but otherwise a great place.

"Nothing special about this BW"
I was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member that got our stay off to a good start. However, the hotel itself shows it's age. The room was average, but clean and comfortable beds. Hotel is pet friendly. Breakfast was typical fare, noting special about that either. Would probably stay here again if needed.

"Awesome"
Just checked in today, every thing is great, great price for a weekend stay. Clean and organized. Front desk was helpful, only complaint is the smell. But it doesn't bother me that much, you get use to it.

"Worst hotel ever"
The worst hotel that I have stayed in. The first room we were placed in had a broken toilet. We were then moved to a room that smelled like something had died in. We found out that the floor was soaking wet and made squishing sounds when you walked to the bed. If it wouldn't have been so late when we checked in (we were traveling a long distance for a wedding) we definitely would have demanded our money back! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Best Western? Or Best Hotel?"
After staying at many St Louis hotels, from 1 star to 5 stars. Best Western St.Louis Inn is hands down a star above them all. The staff? From management to housekeeping to maintenance, who both worked together to find me jumper cables when my battery was dead on my car. While the manager squeezed me in last minute ON A FRIDAY to stay another night. Amazing. The nicest most helpful people. The price? This hotel could easily charge a couple hundred for the basic room I was in. But they don't. It's obvious they are not there just to make another dime off you. When let me tell you, they could without feeling bad because the accommodations the provide and all the extras are more than worth paying more. But you don't. Because the Best Part of this Best Western ( if I was forced to pick one) Is the Value. I actually received a few dollars back a couple times because I had inadvertently overpaid through one of the online websites. I mean are you kidding the price was a great deal already and still she gave me a couple dollars back. But it's because of that value in price and of their customers that this is hands down THE BEST-BEST WESTERN and THE BEST HOTEL in the St Louis area. Oh and don't even get me started on their breakfast(free), indoor pool, OR JACUZZI SUITE!!!

"Very Nice"
Very nice hotel with clean rooms and a friendly staff. Located just outside the city of St Louis, but just a short drive to all the attractions. The free breakfast was good but like most you need to get up earlier than you really want to on your vacation to enjoy it. Some items were luke warm at best ( sausage links) Overall a good place to stay and with an indoor pool.

"Hotel"

"Great hotel for price "
Really enjoyed our stay here after being at a music festival for most of the day. They were all very friendly. Rooms very nice and clean, and decent breakfast. Didn't have any issues with being able to hear others while in our room. I would definitely stay again.

"Senior Adult travel group"
We unfortunately had to stay one night going and one night coming home from a trip to Mount Rushmore from SC. I had two buses of senior adults (84 people). We have never encountered a hotel that had one employee working the night shift for the entire hotel much less when 2 buses were due to arrive. The front desk manager apologized the next morning saying she had a family emergency and had to leave. I think as a manager and/or an owner you would certainly find someone else to come welcome and help us?! Anyway that was just the start of our problems! We had 3 groups of people that we had to move that night due to nastiness and frightening circumstances - 1st room's electricity kept going off (no lights or air, etc.). Bless the front desk clerk's heart she tried hard to do it all but that is an impossible job with that many people! Anyway the clerk finally duck taped the breaker so it wouldn't trip again - then the electricity wouldn't go off so they had to sleep with all the lights on! One room had bugs crawling out from under the refrigerator and along the wall and lastily we had one couple who pulled back their covers to discover what looked like dog poop! Horrible experience!!

"Clean, friendly, easy access"
This was our 2nd time staying here. Easy access from the highway and not too far from the city attractions. Super friendly front desk personell and recently remodeled rooms. Some of the breakfast items could use some improvement but overall a good selection for a complimentary meal. The pool is ok, would be better if it had a hot tub for the adults. We liked the convience of the location the best as we traveled to the city for the Arch, Zoo and City Museum. Lots of good restaurants nearby to choose from.

"Nice, clean BW"
Although there was some remodeling going on our stay, room and overall experience at this BW was outstanding. We will stay here again when in STL. One minor complaint: the waffle/pancake batter cups didn't hold enough batter to fill the irons. But that's a very minor problem and not one which will affect our decision to stay here again.

We are working to take care of all of the issues that you addressed and we thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
"St Louis Inn Cardnials Night"
This was a last minute reserve for a trip to watch the Cardinals play. The workers were very helpful. They had a full breakfast with a good variety of choices. The hotel is in an industrial area but close to Busch Stadium only 20 mins away. Reasonable price that made our trip very relaxing and convenient. I Will stay there again when in St. Louis..

"Stained Sheets-No management"
The blood stained sheets that we found on our bed was not the last nasty thing about this hotel. Management evidently doesn't actually work here as they never seemed to be in when I stopped at the front desk to speak to someone about this. After my 4th stop over 2 days I finally found a manager. Her offer was a 20.00 credit.
L23170, Guest Relations Manager at BEST WESTERN St. Louis Inn, responded to this review

I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.
"Family Reunion Visit"
We stayed at the Best Western St. Louis Inn for a family reunion. The location is right off the freeway with quick access to downtown. The property is undergoing a renovation, and it is still a work in progress, but the room we were assigned had been renovated and was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and provided more than expected. The layout is a bit strange with guest rooms on the first floor and the lobby and entrance on the second floor. People were always confused using the elevator. It would be nice if there was just a set of stairs to the first floor so guests on that level could get to/from the lobby without using the elevator.

"Great hotel"
My wife and I got a double Queen bed non-smoking room. Room was very clean and spacious. Large bathroom, with soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Fridge and microwave in room were clean and the room smelled clean.

"In town for a Cardinals game."
Our overall stay was a good one with just a couple of minor exceptions. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The air conditioner made noises even when not running. The hotel is right off the interstate which is nice and there is a Cracker Barrel restaurant across the street.

"Very Disappointing Stay"
The positive things during this stay were the evening/night clerk behind the desk (wish I could remember her name), the breakfast was good, and the pool was nice. I've never been more disappointed during a Best Western Stay. We always choose Best Western when traveling due to the value and amenities while traveling with children. Our first room the refrigerator wasn't working. So, we were moved to another room on the second level. We packed all of stuff and changed rooms. In our second room the remote wasn't working. We moved rooms again, two doors down. In the 3rd room, the refrigerator in there wasn't working. I'm a patient person, however, at this time, I'm done. I went to the desk and was told there were no other rooms to move us to. My children and I moved the refrigerator from the 2nd room to the 3rd room and were then helped by another desk who saw us moving the refrigerator. I talked to the manager, the next day and was told I'd get a credit on my account for the inconvenience. Later that day, I already was charged for the room, the full amount, and we hadn't checked out. We still had two more nights there. I was told the credit could take awhile (7 days later it was there). On the last night of our stay, there was a large power outage in the area due to the storm. Hotel guests were being sent to other hotels. So, we packed our room in the dark and went to a hotel 20 miles away. Upon leaving and turning in our room key, I was told we would be given an additional credit due to the inconvenience of moving hotels but that the manager had to talk to the owner. I called two days later to see what that would be and was told still working on it with the owner and that they'd be calling all of the guests. I called 9 days later after still not receiving a phone call and spoke to the manager, Melissa, again, and was told the credits could take awhile to show up (not even sure what the credit is). It seems as if this particular Best Western is quick to take your money, but not so quick at correcting their errors or fixing what they say they are going to fix. I don't fault them for the power outage. However, when you say you're going to take care of your guests, then that is what needs to be done. I should't have to wait over a week for credits and I shouldn't have to be making numerous phone calls when they say they are going to take care of things. The customer service in taking care of the issues here, has been horrible. I don't want to say I'll never stay at any Best Western again, but, I won't be staying at this one, and it has left a negative impression on Best Western in general. My kids laugh when they see a BW commercial because of all of the issues we encountered. The customer service at this particular BW is bad and definitely needs to be stepped up.

"Travels"
Great staff, nice place to stay, clean. Looked dated some what. But overall I would stay there again. The location was great for a family funeral that we had to go to. There is a Cracker Barrel in walking distance to go eat at as well.

"Clean"
There was a storm hitting the area and knocked out the electricity. We came around That time and was told that their power is out and checked us in anyway. We spend a few hours in the room. The room was cleaned and nice and we left for dinner thinking that the power would be back by the time we would be back. We did come back around 9pm and the powe is not still back and was told that everyone has to move out of the hotel. Fortunately, they told us that they have made arrangement for us and gave us the Comfort Inn's address. Given the situation, I think the staff did a good job.

"Cheap but not good"
As frequent travellers we often stay in Best Westerns when we are on the road. We were however so glad to be able to leave this on in our rear view mirror. It is a disgrace to the brand. The friendliness of the front desk cannot paper over the fact that this hotel needs to some major attention to detail. 1) Take a look at the stains on the seats in the breakfast area before you sit down - they are filthy. 2) The ground floor main corridor carpet looks like it is about to get up and walk out in disgust. 3) Our room on the newly re-furbished 'downstairs' had food on the carpet and somebody's orange "cheeto" stained fingerprints all over the phone - it had clearly never been cleaned or inspected. 4) One person on duty on a busy Saturday night is simply not good enough 5) To come back to the hotel in the evening and find the whole reception area seating has been taken over by the pool maintenance guy is disrespectful to paying guests 6) a spill on the floor at morning breakfast by the drinks machine was left as a messy puddle for the whole time we were there -no oversight whatsoever 7) the newly refurbished room had no net curtain - and despite this being reported nothing was done 8) the rear car park was more like a rubbish tip. 9) And finally the wi-fi was non-existent in our area of the hotel. $10 was taken off our room for a two night stay, but I'm afraid I would not stay here again even if it was free. I am not normally given to such bad reviews but feel that people need to be warned about this particular "Worst Bestern"

"Hard times for hotel"
They had terrible storm go thru right before we checked in, combine this with the motel up-grades and it was a mess. Hotel is right off I-55 close to a CrackerBarrel in a safe area. Up-grades are needed as this is an old hotel. Room was very clean with no problems other than the bed was not very comfy, but then none are like the ones at home. Breakfast was the usual hotel food with good service. Will try this one again in the future.

"Last minute trip to St. Louis to attend a funeral"
I had to make make last minute reservations for a trip to St. Louis for my Uncle's funeral. Reservation on-line was easy and had no problems what-so-ever checking in or checking out. This hotel is convenient but quiet. Safe neighborhood allowed me to do my morning walk without fear for my safety.

"st louis"
Great staff, clean newly remodeled room, and free breakfast what more can you ask for!!!!!!! Tina was fantastic at check in. Only complaint would be trash in the parking lot at the rear of the building.

"Good a place as any on the road"
Clean sheets, decent accommodations. Can't really say much new about this chain, they have been in the business for many years and aren't set to move up or down. Staff was helpful and check-in was easy. Close to the road, but not too noisy.

"Credit Card & Reservation Issues"
We made a reservation online and pre-paid. When we arrived they could not find our reservation so we paid again for a room. When we got our credit card bill we were charged twice for one room, for one night stay. We called the hotel twice and was told we needed to speak with Melissa the manager. They took our phone number and Melissa was supposed to call me back. She never called back, so I had to call a third time and finally got a hold of her. She allegedly reversed one of the charges and was going to email me a reversal receipt. This never happened. After checking our credit card again we noticed there was never a reversal charge. So, I called a fourth time and spoke with Tina. She was familiar with the problem and allegedly reversed the charge and was going to email me a reversal charge receipt. As of right now I have not received the email. On top of that, we were not impressed at all with this hotel. My parents also stayed there and they vowed to never stay there again. They also had issues checking in with their reservation. If I do not see some action very shortly I am going to contact my credit card company and file a dispute. What a mess! I really do not have time to be dealing with this.

"Great value!"
Good hotel just outside STL about 20 mins from downtown, the zoo, etc. But its so much cheaper than most of the hotels in STL that it's worth the drive. First of all, this hotel is very reasonably priced, so our expectations were low. But this is a very nice hotel! Clean, friendly staff, nice rooms, and breakfast is above average with lots of choices. Also we had to check out a day early, and I didn't think we'd be able to cancel our last night without a fee but they let us! Very nice. Next time in STL we will absolutely stay here.

"Good, quiet value"
This is a convenient, just out of the city location, right off the highway. Very comfortable bedding, otherwise very good all the way around. Pool opens right into the lobby, so that area is noisy DO NOT TAKE A LEVEL 1 ROOM.. Level 1 is actually the basement. Window are visible from the ground level, but the room is mostly below ground. Don't bother with the Cracker Barrel across the street unless you want to. There are great restaurants and shopping a short drive away on Route 141. ask for directions

Had a great stay. No complaints. Would stay again. Room was nice with comfortable beds. Breakfast was fresh and really good. The person at check in was very friendly. Pool looked clean and parking was good. Room was much nicer than expected for the price. It was worth the stay.

"Clean and Spacious"
This hotel was perfect! The room was quiet, clean and spacious; the staff was very friendly and helpful; the breakfast was delicious;, and my kids loved the pool. Front desk clerk "Tina" went above and beyond with her customer service. Would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself back in the St Louis area!

"St. Louis Overnight"
Best Western has great staff and comfortable rooms. Pool was closed for cleaning which gave me the impression they care about health and comfort to their guests. This motel was conveniently located near the highway entrance and exit.

"First time staying here; room was clean; bed was comfortable; breakfast was very good."
Looking at a map the location seems like it is a bit far from downtown, but it only took us fifteen minutes to get to and from downtown, so it wasn't inconvenient at all. The desk clerks seemed friendly. Breakfast was plentiful - scrambled eggs, make-your-own waffles, breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, yogurt, bagels, muffins, milk, juice, coffee. Much better than they typical free breakfast! We had breakfast during the weekend and Monday morning. There were a few less offerings Monday morning. The lady managing the weekend breakfast was very friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean. Room keys would not work the third night even though room was booked and prepaid four months prior. Went to service desk. They said the keys had expired. They reset the keys. Confirmation e-mail said there is a laptop safe in the room. But our 17" laptops were much too big to fit in there. Fee to use the safe was a $1.50. Had good Wi-Fi signal in the room but kept getting disconnected VERY frequently; so much so that it became frustrating. Internet download speed was relatively slow. Stayed three nights. First two nights were very quiet. Third night had kids running and yelling in the hallway.

"Run Down Hotel"
Common areas are not clean and room we stayed in had several electrical issues with the outlets. Elevators were dirty and carpets were old and worn and needed a GOOD cleaning. A/C is very noisy. Rate on final bill was incorrect and overcharged. Breakfast is over by 9:00am, even on the weekends. First floor is below ground level, so view out the window is of a concrete wall.

"two steps above a truck stop"
We called ahead to tell the front desk we would be very late checking in due to our flight schedule. When we first arrived, tired from a long trip, we were told that their "system" was down and we couldn't check in. Then the two clerks got in an argument over a previous cash transaction and one told the other one in front of us…"they will just have to wait". We finally got checked in and were triple charged for our four day stay. When our daughters arrived the next afternoon, one of their rooms was not ready at 6 PM. The morning breakfast was a zoo. Unfortunately, our room was near the main lobby and were awakened every morning at 6:00 by loud guest and smells of frozen sausage. There were some very nice staff members who greeted us with a smile and the price was reasonable….but we will not be booking a Best Western any time soon!

"Below average"
While the price is good, the property is not. The pool water was yellow and had no chlorine, the pool area was 120 degrees without a fan in sight, and for the occupancy level it was understaffed. We had one woman running around checking people out, making breakfast, and cleaning up at 8:30 AM. If actions speak louder than words, it appears that the management doesn't care to much about this property or guest experience.

"Quality as always."
Between Adoria & Matttie, check in was no problem. Room # 325. Furnishing were a firm, comfortable bed with four 3/4 pillows. The bed is about 36" high, franked by night stands. A flat screen television sets atop a three drawer chest. The television is digital, so selecting a channel is challenging. Tina helped me with the remote. Two sliding doors for the closet. Eight wooden hangers, iron & board, safe, not charged. The bathroom is shower/tub. Hot water for shower in twelve seconds. On the shower wall are dispensers for shampoo, lotion & conditioner. All three walls appear to be marble. The tub's faucet is very powerful, while the shower head is gentle to the face & body The head is adjustable, however two hands are needed for adjusting. Plenty of towels. The sink is separate from the shower area. The counter is short, only about 42". I moved most items the counter to make room for my own traveling items. A M/F. The micro has dials for time & heat settings If doing a bag of popcorn, use close to high heat & three minutes. The fridge was unbalance, feels as if a front adjustment leg is missing. The guest laundry & fitness center are located on the lobby floor next to the elevator. Both washer & dryer are $2.00 each. Soda & snack machines are located near the elevator. Room # 325 is just a few steps from the elevator. This facility has a very lounge, two couches, love seat, comfort chairs-all leather- & coffee table. A guest computer. Outside the lounge are two indoor pools-one adult & one children's . THe pool's heater was not operating, yet twice I saw young girls enjoying their selves. This is a three floor facility, with the elevator on the small , however the elevator will accept a luggage cart & two adults with no problem. Two luggage carts are available by the front desk. USE BOTTON # 2 for the lobby. Breakfast area is larger than the lounge. For seating square tables, four chairs each. Long separate counter with four stools each side. A corner counter with five stools. A wall mounted flat screen is set for morning news. Breakfast is 6:00 to 9:00. For dry cereals & Quaker meal. Biscuits & gravy, steamers for sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hash browns, two waffle makers. Coffee, cram berry, apple & orange juice. Bagels, bread, pasties, micro muffins. The motel's drawback is the lack of restaurants-a Cracker Barrel is a short walk away. Most restaurants are located to the south in Arnold. During my stay ( May'16) a complete renovation was in progress. Floors 1 & 3 were mostly done, with floor 2 (lobby) about 3/4 completed. Even with the renovations & lack of restaurants I would stay again. Factors being: the helpful staff-Adoria, Mattie & Tina-the room's cleanliness,, comfortable bed, breakfast, & short distance to I-55. Plenty of parking. The room's only drawbacks were the small shower area & sink counter space. Having a king bed & staying the third floor has two advantages. A king uses less space, giving room for a small couch. Being on the third means NO guest walking above me.
"Generally good experience, check in clerk with attitude, poor internet"
We generally stay in BW hotels and have good experiences. This time we encountered a check-in clerk with a defensive attitude. We had requested a room on an upper level in a quiet area. She assigned us a second level room, which was really the ground level and Lobby level and breakfast area next to the Lobby, arguing that it was an upper level. The room was three doors down from the Lobby and across from the fitness room and ice machine. All traffic to the Lobby and breakfast room passed by our room. Also, the internet did not work most of the time. Outside of these two problems, the other staff were very pleasant and the hotel was comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean and spacious.
"Renovations in Progress"
At this time, you do not want a room on the second floor until renovations have been completed. I was placed in a room on the second floor and asked to be moved because the room had not been renovated, and the smell of smoke was hard to take. I asked San at the reception area if I could be moved to a remodeled room, and she quickly found me a better room. San, you rock!
"Best Western Hotel Review 1 - Great Hotel Service"
This is a Great Hotel. Great service. Great Food. I enjoyed my stay. The room is clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would stay here again. The people were friendly and helpful. The WIFI worked very fast.
"OK for Overnight"
My husband and I stayed here for one night while on the road. Check-in went smoothly and the hotel receptionist was friendly. The room they initially put us in was right next to the stairs/ramp to enter from the parking lot which I immediately didn't care for but figured I'd check the room out anyway. The room itself was ok but the door to our room literally had a 2" gap between the bottom of the door and the tile floor beneath so we could hear everything outside including people's conversations and footsteps as well as the extremely noisy ice machine in the hallway next to our room. Thankfully they were able to give us a different room on another floor that was somewhat more suitable. On our way to our new room my husband and I both remarked how filthy the main hallways and elevator was. How hard is it to make sure the hallways are at least vacuumed daily? It seemed as if they hadn't vacuumed in weeks. Not impressed at this point. Our new room was adequate, nothing fancy but good enough. The carpet was visibly stained and overall seemed a bit old and worn. Nothing too terrible but still not great. The saving grace of this hotel was the very comfortable bed and strong water pressure in the shower. If you can overlook these issues you might find this hotel ok for one night. However, we will probably look at other hotel options next time we are in the area.
"Iffy from the start"
When we walked in the hotel, I noticed the floors in the hall were dirty. Then the floors in the elevator. I am not a super picky person, but I just felt icky. We opened the door to our room and a blast of damp (mildew) + stale cigarette smoke air hit us in the face. We decided to stay. The room was very cramped. Nowhere to really move. The bed my boys slept in was very wobbly (a poor frame). The table in the room wobbled. The desk chair reclined all the way back when you tried to sit in it. Yes, despite all of this we stayed because we were going to be out exploring St. Louis for most of our time in the city. My son saw a few bugs (but not anything alarming). However, on the last night I killed TWO roaches in the bathroom. I wish I would have snapped a photo, but I didn't. When we received our bill, we were charged more than our reservation amount. I would never stay here again. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. (In fact, when my sister in law came later in the week we told her she would NOT want to stay here.)
"Good price, nice room, but..."
Our room appeared to have been renovated and nicer than the room I had (on a different floor) of this same hotel a few months ago. However, we experienced problems with the a/c and the room was stuffy as a result, and the in-room wifi was completely inadequate, constantly cutting off or bogging down. I had this same experience with the wifi during my earlier stay as well.
"5,350 mile road trip"
After driving all day we went a few miles out of our way to stay with BW St. Louis. Very satisfied! Close to downtown and convenient to Interstate, but much more budget friendly. Just wish we could have stayed to enjoy all that St. Louis has to experience!
"OK overnight stop for road trip"
We stayed here for a night while driving down to New Orleans. There were a couple of coaches there with youth group. We were a bit apprehensive that there would be a noise problem, but the front desk person shooed them out of the lobby and to their rooms and had them all together on the lowest floor, so noise was not a problem. Our bed sheet had a spot of blood on it - looked like someone had cut their finger while making the bed. We were able to move to a new room, so that problem was solved. The shampoo and conditioner were in a dispenser in the shower that was difficult to get anything out of. Our king bed room had a small refrigerator that had no freezer section, so it was not possible to refreeze our blue ice insert for our cooler. The breakfast was no better than ok,; I was able to get a bowl of cereal with milk. I tried a bagel but couldn't eat it - the texture and taste reminded me of sawdust.
"Great Hotel"
This hotel worked very well for a community center youth trip. The staff was friendly and the hotel had all the amenities we needed. Clean and recently updated hotel. Easy access to St. Louis as well.
"Don't trust shower dispensers"
Do not assume conditioner is available in shower dispenser. It comes out so slow as to be unusable. Be prepared and bring your own conditioner in the shower. The shampoo and the liquid soap look about the same, I am not sure there is any difference.
"Pool not worth reservation"
The pool water for the inside pool felt like ice water. My kids got in and wasn't in there but for about 10 minutes and their lips was already turning purple. The lighting for there didn't come on until after dark and was hard to see the kids unless you was standing right at the pool. Our room must not get the full cleaning because my son found a comb that was not ours right under their bed. I feel like if we could see it so could the maid. We will never stay here again not worth the amount you pay for the room.
"Good value"
The property was in fairly good shape and the desk person was pretty pleasant. The gym didn't open until after I wanted to leave, but they let me get on a treadmill anyway, so I was happy about that. The room was a nice size and fairly close to the front desk/breakfast area. They had a pretty complete, hot breakfast that was included - much more than other hotels at this price point. Overall, we were pleased with our stay, it was a good value for the money.
"Stay convenient and easy on wallet"
We have become habitual guests of the Best Western on Heimos [south of St. Louis on Interstate 55] because they offer a super clean, inexpensive motel with everything in good repair, clean, excellent free breakfast [waffles and eggs included] and in a quiet location with easy access to Interstate 55. Cracker Barrel is really close, as well as gas station. Our grandchildren are 5 minutes away, as is Grant's Farm, etc.
"Family Getaway"
The kids loved the room and pool. I liked the location and cleanliness. Breakfast was nice, but the area could have been larger and the time could have been longer. Overall stay was very nice and a great deal. The staff was very helpful and nice.
"Great stay"
Took the kids for Easter break had a great time, kids loved the pool, friendly service, good breakfast, need more seating in breakfast area only issue. Plan on returning next time I need a break. City museum great for kids.

"Considering the price, we thought this place was quite decent."
We booked this through TripAdvisor/Booking.com and got it for under $80 (tax included). The place has had some remodeling and our room was decent. Just don't look too closely at the details (bad caulking, chipped flooring) and you'll be content. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size and it was clean. We took a long walk at Cliff Cave park, ate at Cracker Barrel (who knew they had a "light" menu?) and had a good night's sleep. For 80 bucks (with breakfast included)--this was a good deal.

"Could be better"
This hotel does have some nice qualities. I has a nice location right off I-55. There is a QT and cracker barrel very close. The staff is nice and pleasant. However, the room i was stuck in was not that nice. Right across from the ice machine, elevator and fitness room. It seems like there is constant traffic in front of the room and all the noise makes it into the room. I know some of the hotel has been remodeled, this room clearly was not. In the morning you can smell the breakfast and that was not a good thing. The breakfast was not edible. The eggs had to be powdered, the biscuits were not done and the gravy was super watery. We made our way to Denny's the second day because we could not eat their breakfast again.

"Convenient"
This is very convenient to I 55 south. It is clean and walking distance to a Cracker Barrel. If you want other restaurants there are a number of them just one exit south I 55. The owners are remodeling the interior. It is in a quite neighborhood with no traffic noise.

"Vacation"
This was the first stop of our weeks vacation. Hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Give us some ideas and what we could do that evening. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was good. Our adult kids enjoyed the pool. We had a very nice time.

"Wanted to love it, but didn't"
I would love to be writing a good review about this place but…… After we checked in the room looked good. After getting a closer look, not so great. The air on the air conditioner never cooled down the room. The second queen bed in the room the frame was broken. So much so I was worried it would collapse. Surprisingly it did not but however it squeaked loudly with any movement. The remote was broken so you could only scroll down through channels. The sheets on the beds did not fit. The fitted sheet on my bed was ripped so when I tried to adjust it, it tore even more. The beds were hard as a rock. I know firm and this wasn't firm. It was hard. Also every single pillow in that room was lumpy. I was very glad I brought my own. When I travel Best Western is a normal choice for me. I hardly have any issues but this hotel was quite the let down.

"A Little Disappointed"
We stayed here with our 2 teenage sons for 1 night. Booked it due to the excellent value and good reviews. The biggest disappointment was the pool. It was so cold that when he got out of it he said his hand was numb. For some reason this Best Western didn't have a bar of soap for the sink. Had to use the shower gel in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. Not as nice as the BW we stayed at in Hannibal.

"Really enjoyed our stay"
We stayed here the night of Feb 17. We had a king bedroom on the 2nd floor, which really is the 1st floor. The hallway had a slight musty odor but our room was obviously remodeled recently. It was very, very nice. The clerk at the front desk, Tina, was super nice. She even made fresh macadamia cookies rather frequently in the evening. I tried to sit out in the enclosed pool area but it was not heated. However they had a nice sitting area in the lobby and I enjoyed sitting there reading the newspaper. In the morning we ate at the free breakfast in the lobby which consisted of biscuits & gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, make-your-own-fresh-waffles, pastries, bagels, juices, coffee, etc. It was a wonderful way to start the day. We definitely will stay here again.

"Decent Place for Overnight"
On the plus side, this hotel was easy to find and convenient The room was clean and easy to get to, and the beds were comfortable. It was totally fine for what we were looking for and it was an excellent rate. On the downside, they were clearly in the middle of renovation. Our room was right off the hallway from the front desk and near the breakfast area, so we started hearing the set-up for breakfast a little before 6 a.m. Fairly noisy. Couldn't find the remote for the TV (but didn't matter much because we got in late and left early).

"Disappointment"
We stayed at this hotel because of all the good reviews that I had read. It was a huge disappointment. We did not receive a bottle of water or warm cookies at check-in. No big deal. The indoor pool was not heated - we told the front desk and they said it was working. OK. Fine, No pool (for my 3 yr old and 5 yr old). The next day, breakfast was crazy. I went up twice and both times they were out of sausage, biscuits, and gravy. Later that day, the pool was still too cold to swim. My husband got a picture of the thermostat - it was 54 degrees in the room! That evening, my 3 yr old son clogged up the toilet. I had to go to the lobby, get the plunger, plunge the toilet myself, and then return the plunger to the front desk. What?!?! We checked out the next morning.

"St. Louis visit"
We stay at this Best Western when ever we are in town to visit friends and relatives, The rooms are large and comfortable. It has easy excess to the city and west county. There are a lot of restaurants close and shopping, You get a bottle of water when you check in and warm cookies, which is a nice touch.

"Wonderful stay"
We visted St. Louis from San Diego and had no idea where to stay. I am so glad we chose this hotel. Nila at the front desk was the sweetest most hospitable young lady. Every evening she made sure to have warm cookies waiting for us. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our room was clean and beds were very comfortable. TV had every channel we wanted plus more! It was great to have a Cracker Barrel across the street (we don't have those in San Diego.)This was truly our home away from home and we are sad to leave and can't wait to come back! Thanks for everything!

"Great stay."
This is the 2nd time in four months we have stayed here. Clean rooms, however beds are very firm! Breakfast is good. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Easy access to the city. My biggest compliment is that every time we entered this hotel the staff always welcomed us! Front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast attendant. Loved that.

"Not even close"
We stayed for the use of the indoor pool. The heat was not working so we asked for a refund of our second day so we could go somewhere that my grandchildren and I could swim. I was told that it would be resolved so I waited a few hours and it was a little warmer but still to cold to swim. The pool wasn't heated either so I feel we wasted on money and time. We drove 4hrs to meet my mother who also drove 4hrs and it was an extremely disappointing trip. The tubs need to be bleached cause they were very dirty looking. Also the rooms where not very clean we found cigarettes in the chair and this is supposed to be a non smoking hotel. Sorry it needs a lot of work.

This was the first time that I have stayed at a Best Western, and I will certainly return in the near future. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. "Cold pool and dusty tables"
If it were not for friendly staff and low cost I would not stay at this hotel. Second stay this month. First stay pool was out of service, this time use able though very cold, even pool area was cool. Room was nice, though all table tops were dusty, tub faucet dripped whole time. Second stay was Christmas no housekeeping except for check out rooms.

"Very if-fy WiFi, okay breakfast"
The hotel promises free WiFi, but it blinks in and out -- mostly out. If you need reliable WiFi, the best bet is some nearby Starbucks or McDonald's or BestBuy; don't count on it here. Aside from that, though, the hotel is fine. My husband pronounced the biscuits-and-gravy "inedible" but the scrambled eggs & sausage & light yogurt were all perfectly good.

"Nice quiet, Great place for a night away."
We were looking for a night away in a Jacuzzi room. (with the tub in the room, not the bathroom) They honored the website fee, very reasonable and affordable. Very Clean, considering the entire lower floor was under construction.Very quiet and private Our room was completely remodeled. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise with Eggs, Hash browns & Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy among the regular items. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We were not informed the pool was under maintenance when I called to inquire about the room, but we had the tub in the room. Overall, this is a great place to stay, if you are just passing through or looking for a night away.

"You get what you pay for!"
We've stayed at this hotel several times in the past and it was okay, however on one occasion we tried to cancel (with plenty of notice to Priceline and the hotel charged us anyway). They said that their fax wasn't working... The last time we stayed they charged us $20.00 per night pet fee, it's supposed to be $10.00 according to Hotels.com. People in the room next door were making racket (and bacon!) till 3:30 am, so I called the front desk at 2:30 am and they said "believe me they won't make any more noise", yeah right! They continued for another hour! They hardly ever clean the tiles on the floor in the pet rooms, when you walk barefoot your feet turn sticky and black right away. There's trash outside every where and dog crap! Buyer beware!

"pretty good stay, not unpleased"
We stayed in a pet friendly room on the 1st floor. The room was nice and clean. Staff very helpful. I will say, there could be a lot more insulation to quiet noise levels, and the rear exit needs WD40

"Could be a little better"
While i like the location of this hotel, the quality continues to lack just a little bit. Continue to battle noise issues at this hotel. It sounds like people are stomping their feet as they walk down the hallway and it sounded like the room above us was full of kids jumping up and down on the floor all the time. The room also smelled of cigarette smoke from time to time. They are renovating the rooms. So, hopefully they will look better soon.

"Nice stay"
We stopped here on our way to Kansas City from TN for a football game late Friday night. The desk clerk was super nice and very helpful. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The only problem we had with the stay was the condition of the hotel itself. While it was clean, several areas, especially the hallways, were in need of some repair. Breakfast was nice and all in all o would stay here again if back in this area. We had a great nights rest and that was worth everything!

"Nice hotel for price"
I chose this hotel because of the good reviews it had, in general I was not disappointed. Easy check in & out, friendly staff, a lot of choices for breakfast, clean room & indoor pool were all good. The only issues we had were that the TV remote didn't work, the bed that our kids slept in squeaked every time that moved around, the air conditioner kept the room cool but didn't blow like it should. Otherwise we had a good stay here.

Clean hotel, fab room, Huge bed really comfortable, has fridge microwave, hair dryer, tv ,good breakfast all the usual , fruit, yogurt ,toast , Bagels hot eggs, biscuits, etc. Fast internet indoor pool open all year, would recommend the Cracker Barrel restaurant across the road, great food at cheap prices meal for 2 $20. Don't serve alcohol St. Louis is a vast town we got train in from local station. Not great for tourists really. Wouldn't spend a lot of time in it but would visit hotel again
"Excellent stay"
We had great time there. The hotel is safe , family friendly, and the staff were of great help and assistance .. their smile and offering help is highly appreciated. The price is great compared to the cleanliness of the hotel, comfortable stay and great rooms and services. The free breakfast m, and the quality for the food never see it in same level of hotels .. The staff, the manger was around us all time during breakfast , cleaning , removing plates , welcoming gestures and smiles ... thank you good job guys ... Definitely , I will be considering it next time ..
"Very caring staff and accomodating to people with children!"
The staff at this Best Western was very friendly and helpful from booking to check-out! The hotel was clean and well kept. Our rooms were very spacious and clean. The kids loved the pool area and the fact that Cracker Barrel was right across the street! This is a very kid friendly hotel. We traveled this time with 9 children and were very impressed at how accomodating the staff were to the kids!
"Enjoyable stay"
My family reunions are in the St. Louis area. Usually all of my family coming from other states stay here. The price is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast also. My nieces and nephews enjoy the pool and swim as often as they can during their stay.
"Good value and excellent location"
Staff attentive and professional.Very nice and well stocked breakfast station. The manager was very attentive to the guests, and was always helping the other staff members perform , their duties as it was busy @ the hotel. Hotel interior and rooms very clean(thanks to housekeeping).Everyone from front desk staff to manager deserves big kudos. Thanks to you all(especially the manager,he deserves a raise!! ??
"Average Experience"
We stayed two nights. First night told staff at desk that the phone didn't work in our room. Said they would get it fixed. Never did. The fan in our bathroom didn't work. The water pressure was not the best. The internet service would go away as I used it and had to reconnect a lot. The TV sound kept going up & down.
"Nice location and motel"
We have very quick and simple check in. The hotel staff was very nice. We were sent to room 207 on same level as check-in. The room was very spacious. Everything was extremely nice. Room was clean. We did have some complaints. The complaints were starting around 3 am people above us stomping in their room above. They continued this to we checked out. The other complaint was air condition did not cool. It was extremely warm in our room to point of being uncomfortable. The check out was quick as well.
"Good overnight stay"
Location out from downtown St. Louis but still easy to get to arch and zoo. Big room with chair and ottoman. Room was clean and comfortable. Internet went in and out. People at the front desk were helpful and friendly.

Thank you for your review Ted: We recently switched to a password protected HSIA service and it is more secure for our guests. We are still working out the bugs in the system and I apologize it did not stay connected more consistently for you. Please come back and visit us again soon.
"Very Nice BW. Would Stay Again"
What a great experience. I stayed overnight and left early. The breakfast was great, the service was very attentive, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Easy to get in to St. Louis. Only complaint is that the carpet was filthy. We were in a pet room but that is no excuse for nasty gross carpet......we pet owners pay extra money for our pets. It should be put to good use.

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor: I'm thrilled that you enjoyed your stay, enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the staff. As you mentioned, we are a pet friendly hotel and our carpeting on the first floor was vacuumed shortly after I read your review. I apologize for it's appearance when you arrived and cleanliness is something we take very seriously at the property. Also, we are planning on having that carpet replaced in November/December of this year. Please come back and visit us again the next time you are in St. Louis. You are always welcome at the Best Western St. Louis Inn. Brendon
"Suberb Service! Above and Beyond in every way!"
Superb service! DeWayne at the night desk was pleasant and understanding. Nila during the day was absolutely extraordinary!!! She went way out of her way to handle some travel mishaps smoothly and without inconvenience to me at all, including a broken light fixture and some items left in the room. Nila was absolutely amazing! I'd stay at any hotel that she was servicing! Thank you Nila! And thank you Best Western St. Louis Inn for a great stay!

Come back and see us again soon.
"Exceptional Customer Service"
Nila, the front desk clerk, was exceptionally pleasant & professional. She went out of her way to handle our concerns and unusual requests. She maintained this demeanor while being confronted by a drunk and even did not over react or insult the drunk in any way. Not sure if she is the result of great parents or an exceptional training program or just simply an old soul, but she was wonderful!

Thank you for your review: Nila and the rest of our staff are excellent at what we do on a daily basis and some situations are more challenging than others. Thank you for recognizing Nila on this website review and you are always welcome to return to the Best Western St. Louis Inn. We hope to see you the next time you are in St. Louis.
"BASEBALL JUNKIE"
Although it was a drive to the ball park, for our purpose this hotel worked out just fine, it was priced right, clean and close to other smaller towns which provided us with additional attractions to visit. Cracker Barrel across the street provided a great meal outlet and just down the highway is our favourite burger joint, Steak n Shakes.

Thank you for the great review: With the Cardinals v Cubs playoff series coming up, I hope you are able to return to the hotel during the series and who knows, maybe we can find some tickets for you as well. We are glad you were able to enjoy Steak 'n Shake, make sure you find Ted Drewes frozen custard, a St. Louis staple if you haven't done so before. Our staff loves to be recognized on surveys and this is no exception. We look forward to seeing you again the next time you are in St. Louis. You are always welcome at the Best Western St. Louis Inn & GO CARDS!!!!!!!
"This Hotel goes the extra mile!"
What a great experience. I stayed overnight and left early. The breakfast was great, the service was very attentive, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Easy to get in to St. Louis. Here is the really great part. Few hotels have such honest and helpful staff. I left my NEW cell phone charger in the room. I never thought when I called the hotel, that I would ever get it back. But they told me they had it, and would send it to me. WOW! How honest and great is that. It arrived today. I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Great Job housekeeping and front desk. Thank you so much !!!!
