I have been staying at this motel every year for 20 years and never has it been so outrageously expensive. It's the same old room for the early 80's with moldy showers, worn mattresses and broken air conditioner controls. Sadly, this is the only decent option in Reedsport. All of the other hotels are dives comparatively.
Room was roomy and clean. We had an accessible room with a tub. My husband is handicapped so the tub wasn't the easiest way for him. He needed a seat to sit on instead of the side of the tub during his shower. Internet worked but had to call desk for passcode. Breakfast was usual but not kept up as desk clerk was busy. Had to ask for coffee to be replenished and bacon ran out.
Tired old hotel room. Brown carpet, brown shower surround, old and worn brown furniture. Older TV and no channel guide. Yes there was a mini fridge and microwave but other than that not much. Minimal breakfast with artificial scrambled eggs and bacon, muffins, bread for toast etc. I was trying very hard to like Best Western again but after staying at the Reedsport location I'll look to other more modern hotel chains in the future.
Switched my room twice after multiple promises to get me more than one bed I was forced to sleep on the floor so the wife and kids could have the bed. I wouldn't ever book at this hotel. Last resort only. The room wasn't even that clean. Shoulda stayed in a tent
The room was clean and comfortable. One electric outlet did not work but others did. The window did not open, and I would have enjoyed fresh air. The breakfast was adequate. Access to the property is a little challenging. Overall, the stay was fine. Motels everywhere are overpriced, this hotel included, but this hotel is the best option in Reedsport.
Dated room decor and amenities, this is a good $125 room, but st $215 it is a rip off. Not enough outlets in the rooms anf very basic breakfast ( kind of crappy actually). The online pictures must be doctored as they fo not acutely reflect the reality of the location. A convenient location near grocery store and ATM, as well as the local restaurants, but we definitely not stay here again.
was pleasantly surprised at this Best Western, lobby was bright and clean and very open, ease of checking in, and room was very very nice and clean and spacious
Excellent staff and facility. Delicious Breakfast. My only recommendation is a new, firmer mattress.
I specifically asked not to be in a dog room and that is the room that I was assigned. The hotel wasn't full. The floor was filthy. My feet turned black from the floor dirt. I left a request to have my room serviced while I was gone for the day and that didn't happen. I did locate a housekeeper and ask for address at the end of the day. The free hot breakfast I would give a 4. Nothing to right home about. The pool and hot tub were good. The washer and dryer were okay. For the costs, I would not stay here again.
Welcoming staff, outside looks older, faded. But the staff and great rooms made up for it. Location was great with stores, coffee shop, all in walking distance.
In all the years of almost exclusively staying in Best Western, this was my worst experience with the chain.
We had a double queen room. Pretty typical but small. The bathroom sink and SMALL toilet/shower room and separate and the toilet was hard to flush. The fridge was very hard to access because one of the beds was and a foot away from it. The fridge was super noise and the heater was warn and loud. The service was very friendly and the room was clean. Beds are comfortable. Not a fan of the snap lock cold floor but it was clean. Breakfast was good. My dogs have the green space a 10/10. ;) I'd stay again but it's certainly the lower end of best westerns I've stayed at.
This was a nice place to stay. I was able to travel up the Oregon coast one day and travel sown the Oregon coast the next say. Will at the front desk was kind and attentive. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus after a long day. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were available in the shower. Microwave worked well. Refrigerator was sensational and the freezer section was even able to freeze 2 water bottles that I used as ice packs. I would definitely stay here again.
This place was way overpriced! Front desk person desperately needed to shower. We were missing pillow cases, towels, body wash and working light bulbs in our rooms. Breakfast was sugar options and tasteless, strange texture eggs and sausages. Not good.
Nice hotel, room was spacious and very clean. Bed was comfortable, had a great nights sleep, good choices for breakfast in the morning to get us on our way, would stay at this property again
The place just needs a good cleaning. Pressure washing. No one told us the pool, hottub, and gym were off limits until we went to use them. The breakfast wasgross. No coffee packets in the room. I asked the front desk, they only had decaf. I escalated the matter about the pool and was assured that the manager would call me - never got a call.
The cost was $250. The room was not cleaned at all. The carpets had crumbs and other garbage. Hair in the sink and the Bathtub was disgusting. I requested a refund and was denied and told the hotel is full. It was late at night and I wanted my daughter to get some rest. We kept out shoes on and I spent my time cleaning the bathroom and kitchen area. The sheets had hair on them as well. I don't even know if they were changed. The pool water was dirty and the hot tub was closed.
We had a good sleep here as our room was on the backside of the property, away from the highway. Breakfast was tasty but they ran out of forks (delivery had not arrived the day before) so we had to eat with a spoon. Rooms are well maintained and good options for meals close by.
Room was clean, staff were friendly. The main issue was the water temperature in the shower was terrible. The water would get scalding hot to the point you would have to jump out of the shower because it felt like it was burning without even touching the temperature controls. Breakfast was decent. Location was good. Would stay again
My family has been on a road trip and this is the third BW we've stayed at over the week. Room wise, this one was my favorite, nice and spacious, updated decor, beds weren't the best, but they did the job. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. I don't know if it's because of the time we got there, but the woman working breakfast was also working the front desk. There was no coffee, no clean plates or silverware. My husband and son got the last two clean plates. The lady put out plastic silverware while she was trying to get the dishes washed. There was only a bit of eggs left, some sausage, no pastries, no water. The breakfast area was pretty small, so not a lot of room to have things out. They did have chocolate waffles which we hadn't seen before and my son just had to have. I did appreciate that they had several syrup options, like regular, natural and sugar free. They also had a sign saying they had gluten free options available, but not sure what they were. Aside from the disappointing breakfast, I would recommend and stay here again.
No complaints, and they have Pet-friendly rooms. I recommend it. I have stayed many times at the Best Western in Reedsport. I also love the room with the sauna and couch. It's very comfortable; it's nice to relax in the tub after a long workday.
The staff was friendly and effective. The breakfast was great and really well setup. The pool and jacuzzi was clean and warm. The rooms were neat. Overall a great experience. would definitely recommend.
excellent stay at this hotel. hotel staff was young but efficient, attentive, and helpful. breakfast area clean, good choice of items, and staff kept items refreshed. good location if you are traveling the 101, and the rate was reasonable
Beware of individuals towing a Large Wells Cargo trailer. Headquarters for all night Meth Party. Loud taking, room doors slamming, sitting in pickups, doing their business till all hours. Coming and going..
We were surprised how nice the King room with the kitchen was to stay in. The sofa bed is not usable as such, but was a decent sofa to sit in. The kitchen had most of what we needed with grocery stores near by, we were able to have a nice dinner in. The view of the river behind the hotel was nice. Staff was very helpful and breakfast included real plates and silverware instead of paper/plastic.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We like the view of the creek and full moon. Also the beautiful sunrise. The staff are friendly and we appreciate having coffee early in the morning. There are lots of breakfast choices. The waffles are delicious.
Stopped in without reservations and they were able to get us a room, looked like possibly was another hotel before becoming a best western. Room was decent. Pool and hot tub were great but ventilation was poor and chlorine started to get to my eyes from just sitting in there.
The front desk gentleman tried hard to accommodate us on checkin (we needed an accessible room for my husband) He gave us the closest thing they had. However, the light between the two beds wasn't working. I reported it three times and no one came to look at during our stay. I also requested to have the room serviced daily, that didn't happen either. The beds were ok. We were able to sleep on them. The bathroom fan sounded like it was about to take off, very loud. And they turn off the refrigerator between guests. (Would have been nice to know that before my cheese purchases were ruined, as it was still cold when I put them in on arrival) Breakfast was the bare minimum for “breakfast included”. No microwave accessible for the oatmeal packets, liquid eggs, but everyone is doing that these days. (How difficult is it to crack and scramble a few eggs?) waffle maker (didn't use) coffee and juice. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
The rooms were clean but dimly lit. The price was maximum at $260 which is insane for the room type. The breakfast bar was half the size of the McMinnville Best western. The parking lot is not managed well in that they have room in the back for Trucks trailering ATVs but they were allowed in the front to take up 6–8 parking spaces. This caused guests to park in the shopping center next door.
Over two hundred dollars. The checkin clerk checked his phone two times during check in. Missing the T.V. remote. Back to the office to fix that. Breakfast in the morning had employees using foul language and cutting in front of other paying customers for their breakfast.
Terrible staff, Terrible parking, room looked like a drug hang out. We were totally disappointed. But what do you expect from Reedsport, oregon. And the price was that of a 4-5 star hotel. We will never stay there again.
Great Stopping Point for our Family Trip down the Oregon Coast. Close to Sea Lion Caves and within 2 hours of Wildlife Safari. Clean Room, Nice Pool and Good Free Breakfast. The Staff was very polite and helpful.
This is more of a shady highway motel in the middle of nowhere than a Best Western on Highway 101. Everything from the broken locks and handles to get in the 1970's rooms to the so called breakfast is terrible. This place is not what you'd expect from a Motel 6, let alone a Best Western. If you need to stay in Reedsport, grab an Airbnb for less money or keep going to Coos Bay south or Florence north.
The Best in Reedsport Oregon. Great Breakfast, good variety and plenty of it. We have stayed here many times in the past. This time we did an Online Precheck In and our room was ready at the time we requested so we got to get in a little early. They have completely remodeled the lobby and hopefully the carpets in the guest rooms will soon be scheduled for replacement.
Breakfast needs help more to offer like fruit, juices, pastries, donuts Or muffins also variety of oatmeal.Need accessibility unit more disability friendly and a few things broken and internet horrible.Place was clean and quiet and in a great location so just a few fixes but otherwise good
Came here on business and can't wait to come back for pleasure! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Lobby is buzzing each morning with a top notch breakfast. This Best Western is the place to be! I'll be back
Great location. Close to multiple kayaking venues. Nice staff. They were in the process of upgrading and remodeling their office/lobby. Looking forward to visiting again when improvements are complete. Nice large parking area easily accommodating guests with recreational vehicles and equipment.
I called about getting some rooms for family members. The clerk was SO rude. EXTREMELY RUDE. I wrote a review, and the manager asked me to email her. I did I never heard back. I will never use any best western again.
This property is the nicest place in the very small town of which we visited. Pet friendly, plenty of free parking, centrally located, fairly quiet and a very good breakfast every day. Close to shopping and restaurants and a recently remodeled lobby. The beds were more firm than I would like but the bedding was nice and there were plenty of pillows.
I stay her one or two nights a month for business and just recently for one night with the family for a trip to the coast. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I've had all sorts of rooms and they are all fairly decent. They are always clean. The front desk area and breakfast room was finally completed (after being renovated this summer) and it's nice. The rates are decent, especially if you book on a discount travel site. The free breakfast is very good considering it's included in the price of the stay. Plenty of food choices, including hot food. In the summer, the parking lot is packed with all sorts of vehicles with trailers, etc. The dune buggy fun also seems to attract people in the Spring and Fall as well, so expect the parking lot to fill up early. The TV is almost not worth watching, however, since there are few good choices - mostly paid advertisements and one or two prime channels.
Friendly front desk, very clean room, easy location on highway and close to restaurants and stores. Indoor pool was fun and clean. Price was good, especially for last minute and for level of hotel. Would definitely stay again if traveling through.
Parking is awful, trucks towing boat trailers and atvs took up multiple spaces the rooms are outdated and dreary. we had ants in our rooms, and they all had a funny smell. When mentioned to clerk about the ants, she shrugged her shoulders and said oh yes we are aware.
Clearly renovations have occurred at this hotel, however, that has not made the experience any better. I travel for business and ended up at this hotel, despite knowing better than to stay in Reedsport. I figured since I had an okay experience many years back maybe Reedsport would be okay for a night. Absolutely not. I wish I had driven the 3 and a half hours home instead of staying here!! Nothing works in this place. Don't pay premium rates for a Motel 6 level experience.
My room had a flooded toilet upon entry. I didn't realize it was flooding until it flooded the carpet. I tried to call front desk for help as the water had completely impeded my way out of the room. No one answered. I waded through the water to shut off the toilet main and to go to the front desk. The front desk attendant was sitting there, on his personal phone, right next to the hotel phone I had just called. He comes up and gives me a new room, but at this point the water had flooded into the guest bellows room. They came up and asked me if there were water issues and I said yes. As they were standing there talking to me I mentioned this to the staff member mopping the bathroom floor and he stated “well they're just gonna have to wait. I'll cross that bridge later.” After this I received my keys to my new room, the toilet in that room also didn't work. I emailed the location directly about this problem, nothing. Have tried to contact management multiple times, but the listed phone number online does not work. Not to mention someone's ten year old child was literally running up and down the cement hallway outside the rooms until 3 am. Don't stay here. You're better off driving the rest of the way to coos bay.
I have never had problems at Best Western. At this one, it was one issue after another. Checkin process was disorganized and the room was not clean upon checkin. Breakfast was mediocre with sour milk. Haven't had a shower drain so slow the water was up to my ankles. They tried to fix it but there needs to be a water restriction vavle installed on the shower head. The additional little friends were a surprise (ants).
Lobby was undergoing renovations so breakfast was a voucher for a food truck down the road. Could hear occupants of second floor all night (Thin floors?) and room was a bit run down and awkward bathroom arrangement. Not what we've come to expect from previous Best Westerns
Chose to stay at this hotel for its proximity to the Oregon Dunes. It was clean, nice, and comfortable. We got a jacuzzi tub room and the tub was older but phenomenal. Great price for the coast in the summer. Would stay here again.
We have stayed here in the past and had a much better experience. This year the room rates had increased dramatically. Unfortunately, the experience decreased dramatically. The office was under construction which led to some initial confusion as to where to check in. It wasn't well posted. The check-in process was quick, but with no mention of our Best Western Rewards status. Other BW's offer us bottled water at check-in. The tub wouldn't hold water. The air conditioner was marginal so the room temperature was difficult to regulate. The bath fan was extremely noisy, I couldn't stand to have it on. The toilet seat was also loose. The stairs need to have yellow stripes on the bottom treads of each landing, this was missing. This is definitely a safety issue. In light of what you get for the now inflated room rates, we will be looking at other options in the future.
Received wrong room paid for suite with extra bed for bday girl & called to double check & was confirmed I had 2 beds. Arrived to a 1 bed dirty jet tub & nowhere for my bday kiddo to sleep! Was offered $20 refund that I NEVER received.
Somehow I booked this place a while ago and based on the price being charged for the room (300USD plus) I expected good value. When we arrived at the hotel we wondered wether it was actually open or not as the driveway is all broken up and there in no reception whatsoever. Room 112 serves as a makeshift lobby. Staff was apologetic for the state the place it was in and we We got room 130 which corners the highway. Trucks can be heard all night racing past on Hw101, and unless you love the noise do not go here. ANother reason not to go here is the state of the place. Albeit work being done to fix this you would expect some form of a discount. The thing you do get is a voucher for Leona's Across the street for breakfast. Went there to find out that the place cannot cope with the influx of hotel guest and that the breakfast would take at least 45 min to prepare, so that was a no go as well. Last simple point that can be fixed (and what will BW places had we stayed in previously) was a filter to fill up your water bottle. When we asked they laughed and told us to use the tap water. Unless this place seriously starts to invest in upgrading the rooms and fixing these issues you better stop charging premium rates. The service we received was worthy of a 1 star 100USD motel. Unless you like overpaying I suggest you pick another place !
Motel Reception Area and Dining Area are under renovation. Breakfast (two menu choices offered) was provided at a restaurant across the street. The motel is straight out of the 1960's with nightmarish carpets and Motel 6 furnishings. Bathroom fan was so loud as to be unusable. Hopefully the renovation will include all the guest rooms. In the interim, book a different motel.
This hotel was a comfortable one night stay. The bed was was of the best we've had. The room was quiet, with a well working AC. Our grandson enjoyed the pool. There was construction going on in the lobby, so the check in was conveniently located in a 1st floor room. Due to construction, the hotel gave us all vouchers for a breakfast across the street at Leonas cafe. It was good.
From the moment of check-in this hotel was terrible. After a 30 minute wait standing in the sun; no help with bags to the second floor; no elevator; the room wouldn't open. The clerk assisted me explaining the handle was installed up side down. The door opened by pulling the handle UP! The pool enclosure was like a sauna, no climate control. Ditto with the exercise room. The stove broke on day two. Staff had a hard time understanding the problem. Not fixed before ckeckout. Breakfast room closed. Response at checkout, "oh, we're sorry!" Outdoor hallways dirty. A powerwasher could do wonders for this place. I'm finished with Worst Western.
Here's my super positive review (while keeping it real): I wanted to be right smack in the middle of Reedsport to enjoy Memorial Day and I got much more than I bargained for at this hotel. Bob, their maintenance pro there, went out of his way and got the family 4 of his camping chairs so we could sit & salute the vets in the parade. He was also around to make sure that we were happy - and we were very happy! I would have given this review 5 stars if there was an elevator to take us up to the second floor and if the view outside the windows was a little nicer, but the staff was really sweet, and this is just a super well maintained small town hotel after all, not a resort. It was just so refreshing to be at this hotel. I'm just so sick of the attitude you get at other hotels where the people there do not really even want to work. At this gem, you get good hard working kind people! Thank you Bob & thank you to the owners: well done! PS. Put some nicer pictures of suite #221 on the website. I had no idea that there was going to be a separate room and how nice the kitchen was with the big fridge. It was great value and I appreciated all the items in the kitchen for the guests.
We were two of us. For medical reasons, we needed a ground level room. We also asked for a view of the river and a quiet room. All of these requests were granted. Although the room was somewhat dated, it was quite satisfactory and very clean. (That was the reason of the "very good" rating instead of "excellent"). My major criticism was that the second day's breakfast was not very good, whereas the first day's breakfast was outstanding. The cost was very low considering that there was an event happening in the area and very fews hotels had any availability.
After returning home from my trip I found that Best Western charged me for my room twice. I had booked and paid on Booking.com then the hotel charged me a second time. I called and spoke to someone who said that he could see the error but could not fix it and he advised me to call back to speak to the general manager. I called back in the morning and explained the situation to the woman who answered the phone. This person told me that it was the fault of Booking.com and she advised me to call booking .com. I told her that I was not satisfied with that solution and she got a woman claiming to be the general manager on the line. The general manager was very rude to me as if I had done something wrong when I asked her what she was going to do to compensate me for the money the hotel had stolen from me. All in all the experience was negative.
Best hotel in Reedsport. Stayed many times. Great location, comfortable rooms, clean and safe. Amenities provided, can park right outside your door, indoor pool, dog friendly, and a Great hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, juice and coffee and all that goes with it. This is our go to place when visiting Reedsport.
Staff were friendly, the heated pool was clean and large and warm! My grandsons enjoyed swimming! The breakfast was good as well! Location is good with a grocery store right across the street as well as many restaurants to eat at!
So far I've stayed at this BW 3 times, and will continue to stay here each time I'm in town. It has always been clean, the staff have always been friendly and helpful. There is an indoor hot tub and pool which the staff keep clean. (I've been to other BWs where the pool area was not kept clean.) There are several good places to eat near by, and a short drive to the coast. Many mornings in the breakfast area all seats were taken, I was quite impressed with the patience the staff displayed. The food items were kept stocked, the tables and food area were kept clean.
Way overpriced and sub par for a BW property. The breakfast is included. But, the coffee urn was empty and we were told to go get some from the lobby. They couldn't keep up with the cleaning or refilling of items. They never wiped down. But, they can disappear and reappear to giggle and chat then disappear again. AWFUL! The staff is abrupt, I had already called about an early check-in that never happened. That's fine. But, let me get it out before you cut me off. Horrible parking lot (small, broken pavement, crowded spaces). It attracts lots of truck drivers and crews with large trucks and equipment. So, be careful going in and out. The noise level from the workers and traffic are ridiculous. And, for what you're given (or, in the case of breakfast, not given) this property is way overpriced.
Curtains didn't close but other than that was a great experience and the pool was fun for the rest of fqmily..I'm on dialysis and didn't have a water pouch so I didn't get to swim but I sat as far as I could in the hot tub!! Was expensive but wanted the pool for the rest of my family
I was staying at the hotel for work. After being in the hotel for two month I had a letter place in my room accusing me of smoking. Manager came into my room with her head housekeeper who is a smoker and claimed my room smelled VERY badly of cigarettes. I DO NOT SMOKE and never have. I had complained to staff my room smelled, In the letter I was threatened, I was never asked or spoken to prior. I had the front desk smell my car and me, and the acknowledged no cigarette smells. The letter stated there were ashes in the window ceil, it was bugs in the window ceil!!! I had the front desk confirmed that's what was there. This place is nasty, smells and just plain gross.
Friendly greeting by staff, they explained hotel layout, room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Several restaurants are within easy walking distance from the hotel. There is a decent selection of breakfast items.
My husband and I were driving through the area and chose to stop in Reedsport. We checked in to room 211. The TV didn't work, the door didn't close right and there were ants in the bathroom. We were moved to 217. This room was better until after dinner we noticed ants marching from the bathroom along the ceiling to our bag of cookies in the living area. The front desk person said he had never heard of an ant problem but had ant spray (?). It was pretty gross. We threw away all our food we had for the trip. We got a discount of about a third off our room rate at check out. We enjoyed the Mexican Express across the street but otherwise I would skip this hotel and probably Reedsport, too. Feb 22
I stayed here for a week. The apartment my company was putting me up in, had issues that needed to be fixed before I could stay there. The staff was great. I room had everything I needed for the week. If I needed more towels all I needed to do was ask. The breakfast was fine. I'm very picky about eggs, so I didn't eat any scrambled eggs. They had several cold cereal choices, juice, muffins, yogurt, milk, and bread. I didn't use the pool, workout room, or laundry.
We were blessed to be staying at the BW Salbasgeon Inn during a frigid, howling, snowy and rainy week. Even more blessed to watch heron and otters playing in the creek outside our window as we stayed warm and dry in our suite. Very much appreciate the staff where no request, regardless of severity, is overlooked.
This was the 6th Best Western I have stayed at this year, and by far the worst. The “pet friendly” room smelled like a wet dog. The decor was old, the bed uncomfortable and the heater didn't regulate temperature. The other places we stayed with our pup were all much much better. Just because we have a pet doesn't mean quality should suffer. If you have a pet, I'd look to stay elsewhere.
I rented 2 rooms mainly for the use of 2 bathrooms (traveling with 3 teenagers). The closest they could get us were in separate buildings, first floor and exterior access rooms. There were also kids running around knocking on doors. However, The biggest problem we had were the ants in the bathroom that the staff said was “typical” this time of year. Because of the ants, we all ended up using one bathroom in the second room without ants delaying our departure by an hour. The hotel offered $20 off in the evening when we reported the issue. The front desk clerk was very nice cleaning up the ants but of course they returned by the morning and she didn't think she had another room to offer (but didn't check). In the morning the ants were back and upon talking to the front desk, they offered another $20 off which was all she was authorized to do. She did also offer for housekeeping to clean up when they got in an hour later (which was when we needed to check out). Quite disappointing. I think I like Hampton Inns 100% Satisfaction Guarantee better.
My standards weren't super high but I was actually disgusted by the room and even more so that we paid over $200 for this room. The carpet was old and very dirty. Ants in the bathroom which I'm sure are throughout the hotel. We did not request a room transfer for that reason and I didn't want them spraying chemicals in the room. The pillows were tiny and I'm sure the beds were old too. The one positive is they offered a good complimentary breakfast.
Convenient location. Friendly front desk. Bed was inferior but pillows adequate. TV offerings were severely limited with poor connection and internet connection not secure. Room rate was satisfactory.
I really wanted to love it here. Not all employees wear their facemask and if they do it doesn't always include their nose. My room had ants and they don't wash all the blankets. Everything should be washed in normal times, but during COVID it should all be washed.
We had a nice time. The motel was very clean, The staff was friendly and very polite. We had a nice view of the river. Once you closed your door it was very quiet so we were able to sleep well on the very comfortable beds.
Traveling South on 101 through OR we reserved this place a day in advance. The bed was comfortable. Check-in was convenient, very strange parking lot. Seems to be a popular hotel, it was full last night.
If I could, I would give them no stars. This is a joke of a hotel. We had reservations for 2 queen beds over the labor day weekend. We got to the hotel at 3:15 pm. When Nichelle looked up our reservations, she said we didn't have one. She accused us of having the wrong day. Didn't want to hear anything we had to say. I told her to stop pointing fingers as we were without a place to stay for the night. We finally found a hotel to stay at 2 hours away, double the price. When we got to that destination, we had a voicemail from Kate, staying that they were sold out of double queen rooms and was upgrading us to a King size room. We all know that this is not an upgrade... but instead of upgrading us, she simply deleted us out of the system. I'm a diamond member with Best Western and have never seen such a calamity of errors. Good luck if you book here, they have no problem deleting you from the system and blaming it on the customer.
This was a pretty comfortable stay. We were traveling up the coastal highway and Best Western is the prominent chain available. They are all not this good. We had a bid nights sleep which is the best you can hope for.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Beds not as comfortable as other same price hotels. Breakfast grab and go was much more than expected, nice variety of items. Centrally located shopping, bay, and restaurants.
This hotel is very overpriced for the location. I was told this is a lodge because they have a indoor pool. It's not a lodge but a standard Best Western Hotel that charges way to much for a room with two beds. There is absolutely nothing special about this hotel unless you think a room rate that is double what other Best Western Hotels charge.
We were a little worried when we saw that it was a motel instead of a hotel, but our room was spacious, clean, and quiet on a Saturday and Sunday night. The bed was super comfy. They were booked to capacity. I was a little disappointed in the breakfast because it was a continental breakfast. Not sure if that is just due to covid. McDonald's is across the street, so it worked out fine.
The Reedsport Best Western is conveniently located along Hwy 101 with restaurants nearby. The room needed basic maintenance, toilet running continuously, faucet handle on the sink was loose and faucet loose on counter top
If you want to spend $300 a night and sleep on old lopsided spring mattresses so you can get a paper bag with a couple of items for breakfast, than this is your place. Rooms are small and in not the greatest conditions. Cracked paint inside and out. Which is why they took a picture of the hotel at night. Not sure how this place has gotten away with charging the rates they do.
This is a review for room 230 only. The beds in this room are unbelievably old and broken. The mattress were so bad that we spent the entire night trying not to roll down in to the whirlpool of doom in the middle. The outside rim of the mattress was firm--but then you just kept on sinking down, down, down. Road noise was substantial, especially at 5 AM when the big trucks started stopping/starting at the stoplight just outside the room (230 is also an end room right next to the road). The staff at the hotel was universally great however. Nothing they can do until the owner replaces the mattresses. Bring your earplugs/white noise machine.
We stayed in a Family Suite, room was comfortable, clean and met our needs. We would stay here again if we pass through Reedsport. Close to restaurants, the main road and the grocery store. Staff was kind and helpful.
Friendly staff. One of the better Best Western I've stayed at. Good breakfast to go bags. Nice clean rooms. Nice pool and hot tub. Pool was heated unlike other hotels that claim that. The pool wasn't super warm but comfortable and I was able to do short laps in the pool. The fitness room also had a universal weight system which I wish more hotels had. The only drawback as in a few hotels was the toilet made me feel like I was back in grade school. Too low and not elongated.....lol Plenty of hot water and a powerful shower head. For me it's the simple things. I think it could have been priced a little less per night but tis is the season....lol I'd stay here again. Safe travels !!
The entire staff was incredible! This is an older property but very well maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our four night stay. Our grand-kids loved the indoor pool would definitely stay there again!
Hotel room was very clean and was nicely decorated with local photos. The location is close to Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and Elk viewing area. Easy access to the park lot. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
Salbesgeon Best Western is a great destination, you are close to shopping, wonderful restaurants,Pacific Ocean,Oregon Dunes, Umpqua River, fishing, crabbing,Lighthouse Tours, local Festivals,World Championship Chainsaw Carving Competition. See Elk Herds, and have an excellent Donut at Sugar Shack.
We loved our three night stay at this Best Western. Our room was very clean and quiet. The location was great for visiting the Oregon Dunes. Room 121 was so spacious with a full kitchen. Staff members were very helpful and friendly. If we are ever in Reedsport again, we will be sure to stay at this Best Western.
The facility is clean and safe. Rooms are spacious and relaxing. The front desk staff is amazing! We were welcomed as we were checked in. The front desk clerk shared local ideas for us during our stay. I think she deserves a raise! Thank you Best Western for both Value and Service.
Hotel is right next to traffic of 101, room is average, BUT, SERVICE IS TERRBLE!!! Once we checked in the parking lot filled with large trucks and road workers. They gathered in the two rooms beneath us smoking pot, having their loud after work party with women and marijuana. Stink of it filled our room. Went to the front desk and she became aggressive, said she could move us two doors down. I said the partiers are using two rooms, that would not do any good. Asked if she could move us to other side of hotel she said no. I told her then we wish to leave, we had been there less then an hr and half. She said I checked in the night before, when I told her I did not she said you checked in at 3:00, she continued to make up stories (seriously odd). But yet she never showed concern at the partiers. I told her I could prove by my phone we had only recently checked in. She said she had to charge me $50.00 cleaning fee if we leave. I told her we were leaving and asked for receipt for that $50.00 showing our check in time. She gave me a receipt without the time of check in on it and told me I was banned from all Best Westerns and that I didn't leave she would call the police on me. Wow!!!!! Never in my life had an encounter like this at an establishment. I'm the bad guy for not being one of the partiers? Terrible service! Unreal! NOT family friendly, not friendly at all!
Front desk staff was rude and hostile the minute we checked in. The ‘assistant manager' actually called the cops on our kids for playing outside the rooms. After our large group (4 rooms) cancelled our 2nd night stay because of her, she called the cops again for asking who the manager was, which she would still not give the name & number to. Not to Mention lying that the pool was broke, because they didn't want to deal with scheduling time with the Covid restrictions now, which the staff later told us. And none of the staff even followed Covid restrictions, no one even had masks on
The front desk is very welcoming, the room is clean and comfortable(we stayed in a suite with two queen beds), the location is convenient. Overall, it was a great experience of staying in BW Reedsport.
The room was clean and fit my family comfortably we were a group of 6. The problem was the pool was closed and the breakfast was cold cereal. I called numerous times to ask questions but no one answered.
We called in advance to ask about reserving the pool and we're told it was open. However upon checking in it was closed. We even sent a text the day we were checking in to schedule time at the pool. The property said “Thank you. We will take care of your request”. They did not tell us the pool was closed. We overpaid for an old dingy room with no hot breakfast and no amenities. Very disappointed
The hotel itself, while a dated building layout, was exquisitely modern, updated, and very clean. Check-in/out was a breeze, the room was very comfortable with great amenities. We stayed two nights while on a small vacation, and the room was extremely cozy and very comfortable. DirectTV kept the kids entertained, and the appliances all worked!
Staff was absolutely amazing, very helpful and it was super clean. I've stayed at all the hotels in the area for my fishing trips to see which I liked better. This was a higher prices hotel, but you pay for quality. I would recommend to all, especially if you like it clean.
We rented a suite with a kitchen. The kitchen was not very clean and food wrappers from the previous guests were still in the cupboards and on the counter. The fireplace in the room didn't work and it didn't get fixed our entire visit of 4 days. The housekeeping staff does not clean rooms with masks on and they entered our room without a mask. We asked to no come back. Breakfast sucks and is the same every morning; cold cereal, yogurt, cheese danish- not okay for dairy sensitive people. When I told the front desk about the housekeepers they offered me Best Western points. I will not be returning to this location any time soon...
Visited Daughter and her family for Christmas. Stayed at Best Western as they have limited room in their home. Excellent experience at the hotel, great rooms and staff. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Tough finding decent hotels on the Oregon coast. This is the best in Reedsport (that I have found). It is a bit of a distance from the beach. Hotel is nice and the rooms are typically clean. Service is nothing to shout about. Breakfasts are terrible.
Hotel was full the night we were there. We were able to schedule a 1 hour hot tub pool time because of covid 19. Breakfast was a bag of cereal yogurt and a muffin. We were able to sleep well even though it was busy
Stayed one night. Slept well. Beds are good. The refrigerator made noise, but a room fan helped drown it out. Service is friendly. There is an indoor pool that looked good but we didn't use it. Other than that, a big tarmac parking is the outdoor feature. Lobby is very nice and they prepared a bag breakfast for guests plus coffee. Although the bathroom was clean and well maintained, the faucets are the old type knobs that you pull with fist, not entirely sanitary.
The room was OK but the maid cleaned a prescription off the sink that I had left on the counter. I complained to the front desk but the complaint went for nothing, there was no followup. I have given them a week to respond but nothing.
BW rebranded a motel that has been in business for many years and it's so-so. Our king room was small & the lamps are not equipped with electronics chargers. We didn't use the fitness room because of COVID concerns. Staff was cordial. Wi fi was fast & reliable. Breakfast is sensible: a grab and go lunch bag with muffin, dry cereal, milk, yogurt, container of mixed fruit, water.
I will never stay here again! We checked out IMMEDIATELY.....when I asked the guy at the front desk, SETH...to speak to a MANAGER about the issues he absolutely REFUSED to give me ANY contact information and stated that HE was the closest that I would get to a manager. If you don't mind RUDE AND DISGUSTING....stay here! I'm upset that we have to deal with our belongings now so that we don't bring the virtually impossible bugs home! It only takes one!
The place looked fine, but was NOT! I don't believe ANY of the employees are happy there. The pool, Gym, etc. was closed the whole time we were there, they said it was because they were trying to get the "chemicals right". So no access to any of the amenities they list on their website. The breakfast was horrible. They give you a "grab and go" brown paper bag with a small container GMO, General Mills, "cheerios", a small container of GMO skim milk, GMO yogurt, a very small (not good) muffin and a small container of "factory" sugar tasting "fruit" cup. We stayed there because we have stayed at other Best Western locations that had a really great hot breakfast. This place is Horrible. When I complained at the front desk, the man said (with an attitude) "were doing the best we can with the COVID - 19 issue" WHAT!!! The scam-demic is bad enough, but now it's an excuse to get away with anything they want! There is a large grocery store within 200 feet of the hotel. They had No fresh fruit, bread, juice, eggs, nothing good. We will NEVER go back. We could have stayed in a room just as nice for half as much. We had to go out to eat when we left...
I have stayed here throughout the year and it has always been consistently a good place to stay and the best in Reedsport. Good variety of rooms from a room with a kitchen to spa rooms, and basic rooms as well. I've stayed in all of them and what I like about this hotel is the consistency of the rooms, always clean and everything works well.
We, my family members and friends have been staying at the Reedsport Best Western Since 2006. We go several times a year to ride in the sand dunes. There is a very extremely hard working manager there named Jenny. Extremely friendly , outgoing and very concerned about the property and her guests. Any issue that you may encounter( which have been very few and far apart) will be seriosly addressed and treated with importance no matter how small. The property and rooms are continuously updated . They always look very clean and new. All of the staff are professional and friendly. It has always been that way. There is no Hotel in the area or for a very long ways that can compare to this place. The hot breakfast they serve is above average for most any hotel we have stayed at. The self serve dining facility is kept spotless and you can see that they go above and beyond with sanitation and food prep care. We are very picky people and Reedsport Best Western checks all of the boxes. Also there is parking for trailers . We use an open trailer to haul our quads and have never had any kind of security problems in all of these years. This is a small town and the staff are friendly go out of their way small town people. Gene
The Best western in Reedsport is a perfect place to do this. This is a older property that has been so well taken care of. The heated pool and spa was crystal clear and inviting. The room was just what we needed clean, comfy bed, quite perfect for the evening rest. In the morning we enjoy the yummy breakfast that had a large selection of items.
Stayed here during the drive down 101. Great location and fair price for the time of year. The motel has outside entry rooms and there are no elevators to the second floor. Breakfast was decent and appreciated the real plates instead of paper ones. I checked out and accidentally left my iPad on the bed. I was about 30 minutes down the road when the hotel called my cellphone to inform me I had forgotten it. I promptly turned around and drove back to the front desk. They had put it up in the office and I ran into the housekeeper that found it. I thanked her profusely for her honesty!! She seemed quite worried that I had forgotten it.
Great location, no fuss, nice hotel with clean rooms & common areas. No elevator, but ramp to access rooms on 1st floor, otherwise stairs only for 2nd floor. Nice man at front desk who also oversaw & restocked the breakfast area.
Amazing staff very welcoming and friendly as well as helpful! Rooms were great aside from a fingernail in my bed, not sure how that happened? Breakfast was pretty good: options included oatmeal, eggs, sausage/baccon second day, really good waffles, pastries and muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, toast. Amazing pool room, great temp was happy it wasn't too cold :) also have changing rooms in pool room which was neat.
This hotel is located near many restaurants that are in walking distance. There are two grocery stores across the street and to the side. The premises is immaculate and well groomed. Rooms are large, staff very well trained and friendly.
A very nice place, central to all local locations, food, gas, grocery stores. Check in was fast/easy as was checkout. The complimentary breakfast had everything. All-in-all no hesitation in recommending this BW.
Probably the best place to stay in Reedsport! The room was clean, everything worked, breakfast was wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful. Not a luxuriuos resort by an means, but for a clean decent room at a decent price, it was great! It's a solid clean place to stay. There is a Safeway, McDonald's, Subway, Liquor store, Dairy Queen and a few more places like that right across the street which is very convenient. Perfect location between Florence and Coos Bay, and Winchester Bay is very close. I have to say that the town of Reedsport itself is nothing special, very quiet after 5pm. This is a great place to stay as a base for exploring the area, or just passing through. Nothing much else to do in Reedsport.
We stayed one night on our way down the Oregon coast. Friendly, helpful staff recommended the Harbor Lights restaurant for dinner. Yummy! My husband enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. We were a bit dismayed that they did not have regular tv channels: NBC, CBS, ABC, but they had loads of cable movie channels. Our room was comfortable and clean.
Pleasant staff. Decent accommodations...but not worth the price paid. Mini-fridge did not work despite staff effort (not replaced). Avoid hide-a-way bed unless you have chiropractors or massage therapist in your party. Spa was not the cleanest...but not so bad that a rinse afterward didn't make OK.
My wife and I stayed just one night, on our trip through the Pacific NW. I used to live here, in 2nd grade, so the place has some sentimental meaning for me. The hotel was convenient, right on Rt. 101. There are lots of restaurant choices. The room was comfortable, but not recently updated. The bed was fine and there was lots of hot water and good shower pressure. The price was a bit high, $131, compared to the brand new BW in McMinnville, OR that we got for $107, but there are not many choices in this area. Still, a pretty good place to stay.
Cleanliness and comfort are the hallmarks of this hotel. The staff is friendly and efficient. Parking can be tricky and you have to exit through the store parking lot next door to get back on the highway. Still, it works and traffic isn't that heavy. Nice rooms, nice pool and a good complimentary breakfast.
The hotel is well located within Reedsport. A supermarket is net door, several restaurants within walking distance. Very good breakfast buffet with real plates and silverware and not only paper/plastic.
This was a pleasant hotel. It had everything I needed and I cannot think of anything negative. The swimming pool and hot tub looked great but I never used it unfortunately. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Quite expensive but a recommended hotel anyway, especially if you want to explore the sand dunes.
A good hotel, a little pricey for us maybe. But there was an indoor pool which we used and the breakfast was really good. Lots to choose from and quite health stuff. Good coffe is also a plus for a European. The room was nice and clean. I could easily recommend the hotel.
I stay here frequently on trips to the Oregon Coast. It has a good location with restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance. On this trip, I booked a room with a whirlpool tub, which I enjoyed after a 7 hour drive. There is also a spa tub for all guests, but I am a cranky old man and there are often a lot of kids in the pool area that distract from my relaxation. My stay was quiet and uneventful, which is just how I like it.
The staff at this Best Western immediately addressed a concern we had with our room location after our arrived, we were very pleased with how the staff handled our concern. Overall, the facility is nice and well kept, the breakfast was also good. Thanks!
Very friendly helpful check in. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well appointed. There is an indoor pool, spa and a gym. Good breakfast with real cutlery and crockery which was a nice change. Very clean comfortable stay.
There were a lot of nice extras that we noted while we were here over 3 nights: very good breakfast (even had Nutella and salsa packets!); real China plates and metal “silverware”; water pressure is nice and high; washers and dryers on site. I wish they had more outlets for charging our phones, but that's certainly not a dealbreaker. Staff were excellent and the whole hotel is quite clean. Props to the management and staff for providing a nice place to stay in Reedsport.
So clean ... So friendly ... So welcoming! We enjoyed the great breakfast and the friendly staff! It is the perfect location to go to the Dunes! Excellent value for the price! Highly recommended! Thank you !
Everything was just great staff was so nice and helpful rooms were very nice and clean. and breakfast there was just great, cant wait to go there again. Also the weather was just great,There was so many things to do there,The view from the room was so very nice.
Excellent hotel, well cared for with kind and courteous staff, great breakfast, close to everything on the coast. Very friendly to Dune Buggies, ATVs and wandering photographers. Even though it rained all weekend, this was a place of warmth and dry!
Nicest, cleanest, friendliest stay we have had in a while. We appreciate the location was next to a grocery store and we could just walk around the corner for our snacks. Pool and Spa were very clean as well. Found some treasures right across the street while thrifting. Will definitely be back.
We just wanted to personally thank Seth for his outstanding customer service at Salbasgeon Inn & Suites of Reedsport. They take customer service to a new level. We can't wait to come up and book a trip again real soon. Reedsport, Florence and surrounding area's are wonderful for families to visit.
Room was great and affordably priced. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the sourrounding area. Rooms were clean and beds were maid daily and early. Bathrooms were also very clean. I would suggest that Best Western May want to consider raising their toilets a few inches higher...I was fine but may be harder for an elderly person based on how low they sit ...also noticed same thing at other Best Western we stayed at .....otherwise was a very pleasant stay...would definitely stay again !
We were there for two nights in January 2019. Very nice and clean accommodations. Quiet and we got goods nights sleep. We will stay there again when in the area. Breakfast was good and there is no reason to leave hungry.
We stay in their suite and enjoy all the comforts. Staff is very responsive and the little town of Reedsport/Winchester Bay is filled with the nicest people.Close to the ocean, dunes and lots ofOutdoor recreation.
I went to this hotel using my free night points. The clerk argued with me and tried to charge me until I found my receipt. She put me in a stairs only upstairs room even though hardly anybody was staying at the hotel. I lugged my suitcase upstairs to a cold dingy room. When I turned on the heat I smelled smoke from the vents, which caused an allergic cough. In the morning I made coffee. The coffee pot was placed with no nearby electric outlet so I had to brew it in the bathroom. Later I discovered tiny ants coming out of the sink. I can't wait to get out of this place.
Great motel, clean, comfortable, well designed rooms. The staff were very friendly. The motel has an indoor pool, fitness center, and breakfast. Overall,.a great value. I highly recommend this property
This staff is superior, best experience in a motel. Great place to stay. Great room, housekeepers, registration, breakfast superb. Anything we needed they just took care of. Rooms spacious. Beds comfy
It's not a bad place to stay. I arrived late without a reservation but was taken care of and got a handicap room which was nice. It seemed to be an older property so it was anything fancy but did the job. One suggestion would be get rid of the TV system and get something that works. The breakfast was accurate. Parking good and the price was right.
Guestroom had a broken shower. The jets to the Jacuzzi didn't work, and for the price of the room, you could tell that no monies are being invested back into the business. The breakfast was horrible. The eggs were like chalk, and the bacon was greasy.
Booked directly through Best Western and stayed one night October 30, 2018. Asked for a quiet room and they attempted to honor my request! Unfortunately, the road in front & back is heavily used by logging trucks beginning at 4-5AM, so I doubt there are any quiet rooms here. The room was clean, spacious, nicely appointed. Breakfast was well done! Would recommend staying here if your not a light sleeper!
This was probably the least comfortable hotel during our road trip. It was still good enough, but it could be so much better. The walls are thin and we could hear the neighbours on either side. Windows and doors are also not very sound proof, so you can hear the traffic and people slamming their car doors etc.. There are hardly any sockets in the rooms, which makes it difficult to charge the various gadgets people tend to bring along nowadays. The beds were fairly comfortable, but I wonder how often the quilts/blankets get washed. Breakfast was disappointing. Limited choice, not very interesting. The staff were all very nice, though, and the location is convenient for an overnight stop while driving along the coast. Several supermarkets and fast food outlets are nearby.
This was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They also have a pool and hot tub but we didn't get a chance since the kids were too busy.
Best part was friendly service and good recommendations of where to eat. Worse part was layout of the room, inadequate light in strategic areas, and ants in the bathroom that just wouldn't go away even after three days … maybe because of the candy that was missed when room was cleaned after last tenant. Manager apologized and made minor adjustment of the final bill but failed to pass the word the staff on duty the day we left. Our family has stayed there many times but this was the most disappointing.
One night, towards the end of a 10 day driving trip. Hotel easy to find, easy check-in, friendly greeting at front desk. Clean room, nice easy chair and ottoman in room with king bed. Breakfast was good (as usual). Breakfast room smallish for the size of the property, but we served ourselves and had a place to sit. Overall, a good night's stop. BTW...Black Bear Diner is right next door.
My grandaughter & I were driving the 101 Coastal Route along the Oregon coast, & because of festivities planned all over the route, finding a room was difficult. The familiar sign of the Best Western gave us hope, & we were lucky enough to get the last room available. It was too late, & we were too tired to use the amenities, but breakfast in the AM was great.
This is a clean, quiet, comfortable place.Even the pillows were very nice.(I bring mine were ever I go) Has a refrigerator you can still adjust and air flow you can adjust. The pool & spa was relaxing. We love Best Westerns because you know what you will get.
We stayed at Best Western for a family vacation. There were ants in our first room so they updated I room on the other side of the hotel room which was very nice. Then we find out that there's ants in this hotel room also. The manager was very nice and understood why we were upset and she was able to comp us. The reason why they got a bad review was because of the ants, odor of the room, lumpy bed and the customer service from employees.
very busy place and a tight parking lot. Our first room was a nice location, but it had issues. We were provided the last room available, which was very nice. We met some wonderful guests in the late food area. Facility was surprising quiet overnight, given it was full with lots of seemingly noisy-type guests. I would return here.
Check in and staff were friendly. Rooms were clean, and stay was good. Good place to pull over for a stay. We were going to the dunes the next day, so worked out well for us. Breakfast was basic, and did the job. Kids went swimming in the pool and had a good time. Didn't have any issues, and would stay again if in area.
The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful and the rooms, lobby etc a updated and clean. The rooms are a good size - quiet enough. It's not the typical BW free breakfast - fewer choices but all fresh food. There are few restaurants in Reedsport so I would recommend the hotel as an overnight along your coast drive.
The overall room cleanliness and bed comfort were good. The room was very dated and dark. No smart device plug ins. Propane leak from two large tanks outside our window. No fire dept. No evacuation of guests. Could have resulted in significant injuries and loss of life. When there wasn't any hot water to take a shower in the morning, we were told about the propane leak and told to wait a half hour. The hot water was finally back in the afternoon.Got double charges because the check in staff didn't wait 24 hours for the firs auth yo yo through. This resulted in insufficient funds and overdraft fees with our bank.Every time something happened, we got excuses why we should be ok with what happened. For the amount we were charged per night, we would not recommend this hotel.
Friendly and professional all the way .. service as one can expect at highest level of excellence..will suggest that anyone going into this area for visit or business a great place to stay.. the staff did all they could to make it a stay that would become ours again and anyone we know would want to come here too.
We spent a long weekend here, choosing Reedsport because it was the debarkation point for a (successful!) salmon-fishing trip. The pictures online show what looks like an expansive resort-type hotel. The reality was different. On the Good side, the room was large, comfortable, well-appointed, and had a nice view of one of the tributaries of Winchester Bay. The room itself was quiet, despite being next to a housekeeping work room. Housekeeping was attentive and the check-in clerk was very personable. On the Bad side, the layout of the motel made parking a full-size SUV anywhere close to our room difficult. Entrance is either by an extreme 90-degree turn off US 101, or through a strip-mall parking lot. Exit is only through the strip-mall. On the Ugly side, we were accosted by the evening desk clerk on our last evening there, who berated us for daring to walk our medical service dogs on the motel's (dying) lawn. She stormed about our being assigned the room we had - "that's not a pet-friendly room!" - and implied that we would have to change rooms (we didn't). Not a nice was to end our otherwise pleasant stay.
My stay with best western was awesome. I have never had a bad experience yet when staying at best western. This is the first time thst i have taken a trip on my own since my husband pasted away last fall.vi was extremely nervous about going on vacation . After staying at best western, i am thinking that i will go again in the fall. Thank you to the staff for an enjoyable vacation
This hotel was your basic run of the mill stop. Nothing extravagant about it. Clean rooms and nice lobby. The staff was extremely kind. Our biggest issue was how hard the beds were. We tossed and turned all night, it was bad. Again, the staff was super kind but doubt we would stay here again because the beds were so uncomfortable.
This is a solid choice for a passing-through night on the 101. It is relatively new, very clean, has plenty of parking, a small indoor pool, multiple guest laundry rooms, and a sensible free breakfast. The cons are inadequate ice machine, understaffed, very small breakfast room, and way over priced. The basic rooms are fine. "Suites" and spa rooms are a joke.
My husband and I booked a night while traveling back down the Coast from Tillamook to Crescent City, CA. I realize that it is high season but the price we paid for a King room with jetted tub was ridiculous! The room furnishings were pretty average with a small microwave and fridge and very small step-in shower. The best part of the room is the jetted tub. One of the best I have had the pleasure to soak in! But paying in excess of $200 for an average motel room does not sit well with me. The noise level was high. People talking outdoors were annoying, as were the guests above us. That's why I always request the top floor room. Sorry, but we will not return.
I stay in this motel because of the mattress. It costs almost twice as much as other motels, but the mattresses are the best. The room is clean and the decor is updated. There are very few plugs. If you have CPAP....you'll have to unplug the clock behind the nightstand.
We stayed two nights in order to explore the Oregon coast, yet unwilling to pay the prices in Coos Bay. The Best Western in Reedsport turned out to be a good idea on several fronts. First, the desk clerk Lee was extremely helpful. Second, the room was on the second floor in a corner, so it was very private. Third, it turned out that Florence, Oregon -- north up the coast rather than with the Coos Bay towns south down the coast -- had the sort of nice restaurants where you can get a good martini and excellent fish. Fourth, the pool was great.
Never met such nice staff!! We traveled for so long with a baby and two other children who were incredibly exhausted. They allowed us to check in early for no extra cost. Our room was simply beautiful and very clean. They had a pack and play for us to use and it was clean. They even set it up for us!! Many times hotels have these, but they are gross, not the case here, it looked brand new. The pool and exercise room were great as well! No noise at night and we stayed fourth of July weekend. Amazing fireworks down the street a little at Winchester bay. We have never seen anything like it!! This will be a new tradition for our family and we will always stay here! The manager Jenny is fantastic!!! Cannot say enough great things about this hotel!
Pleasant staff- helpful with our problems with Direct TV. Room was spacious, comfortable, well furnished, clean (as was bathroom) and quiet. Bed comfortable. Good location and value. Would stay again.
Great location on the central coat of Oregon. Spacious, newly remodeled by the looks of it. I often don't like a ground floor room when I travel alone but felt very secure. I'm not a fan of the Direct TV option. So many channels I can't find much of interest.
This is a prime hotel located in a small coastal town. We found a real gem here in Reedsport, Oregon. Located right on the main drag. Nice rooms with great service. What more could a weary traveler ask for??
Enjoyed our Mother's Day weekend! We had so much fun in the pool and hot tub. We thought it was so sweet the desk staff offered us, and other guests, free beach balls to use in the pool. It was wonderful!
I was in town with my husband teaching at the local hospital. This was an excellent hotel with great accommodations, pool was nice, fitness room had great equipment. The beds were comfortable. We stayed in a Saturday and it was quiet. Enjoyed our stay and we definitely return!
Very nice staff, they were very helpful, they were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The rooms were very clean and they actually had air conditioning which was a real plus. We would stay here again.
Stopped in on our way to Astoria. Pleasantly surprised....friendly welcome, very nice room overlooking the river. Great value. And also comfortable and clean. Reedsport is a quiet place unless you are out dune bashing.
It's a good place to stay if you are on a road trip. The bed was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with fruits, yogurt, milk, toast , scrambled eggs and sausage. Will consider staying here again when we are around this area.
We had an awesome stay! Super clean, nice and staff was friendly and helpful, pool was clean and warm. Hotel was right next to a Safeway & Mcdonalds which was helpful to us. Our bed was comfortable but to small for three :)
Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, quiet area Easy access to local stores and short drive to the beach Nice small town with friendly people, great outdoor scenery and good food in town good location
My wife and i rented the spa room. The spa was broken it was to late to switch rooms,. There was a oder in the room witch smelled bad. And the shower water was dirt brown. And no internet. It was broken
We got a suite and it's beautiful, had a bit of issue with heater in main room but not in bedroom and kitchenette does not have suction fan. But, overall, it's a nice hotel despite the outside appearance (seems older outside). Great place to stay for visit to the sand dunes .
The bed and pillows were comfortable. Could have done without the train noise. Breakfast was on the smaller side, not many choices but it worked.tv worked properly once we called office and they helped.
This was my first time at this location. I try to stay at Best Western whenever I can. This location is perfect for the dune lovers or just those just passing through. Florence is less than an hour to the north and Coos Bay the same to the South.
This motel was very clean. Amenities were good. Everything was in good working condition. Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we are in this area.
Somehow or other we managed to drive right by this hotel but once we found it we were happy. Breakfast good. Room good with comfortable bed and amenities. Once again in Oregan no complaints at all. Apparently people come here fishing - hence the name - SALmonBASs,sturGEON. This cheered me up after obtaining a speeding ticket in Bend. The customer service in the hotel was much better than that from the policeman!
Stay here every year for over a week or two consistently always clean comfortable and welcoming . The housekeeping is some of the best I have seen from the front desk to the maintenance of the hotel is a # 1
We had a nice stay at this facility. Room was clean and nicely appointed. Stayed in a spa suite. It wasn't fancy but it was comfortable. Only downfall of this hotel, you can't access the indoor pool and spa unless you walk through the parking lot. It stopped us from wanting to use it since our room was in the far end of the complex and, it rained the whole time we were there. I guess since you would already be wet it shouldn't matter, but it is an uncomfortable inconvenience. Other than that, it's a great place to stay
Clean quiet room. There was a nice table and 2 comfortable chairs to eat and play games. We walked over to the market to get a couple microwaveable dinners. The microwave is small and took longer than normal to cook but it worked. Good breakfast...scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle maker, cereal, milk and yogurt. Staff very friendly and pleasant.
We were on a road trip (small RV), and stayed at hotels with two exceptions. We booked this blindly (not knowing the area) and were please with the location. They have an indoor pool (didn't use) and a workout room (did use - but not a really great setup). They are animal friendly, too. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was quiet. They offered a selection of food for breakfast (standard fare - but nice). Check-in staff was friendly and helpful. Just stayed one night and had a nice stay.
Just lovely. Comfy, cozy, attractive room. Feels like a guest room rather than a hotel. Price is very reasonable and breakfast is free. We only stayed on night, but would have been happy staying longer.
Decent hotel, ok breakfast, decent pool and hot tub, have to access from outside through lobby, though. Rooms need more outlets, it is more the tech age and had a bit of a funky smell. Decor was ok, carpet needed to be cleaned. some towels dirty and ants in the shower stall. Comfy bed but outside can get loud.
Usually pay more for the ammenties, and the type of room we stayed in. House keeping cleaned and restocked the room daily. The room was beyond expectations for the amount charged. Wi-Fi had a great connection and speed.
Comfortable, quiet inn near U.S. 101 in Reedsport. Friendly and very helpful staff made us feel very welcome after a long day on the highways in Oregon. Great location of the Inn to the road , which can lead south to Coos Bay or north to Florence and the dunes of the Oregon coastline.
This Best Western Hotel Lives up to the High Standards They Set. I was Impressed by the Courtesy Shown Me by the Staff. We Had a Great Nights Sleep and a Great Breakfast. Thanks for Giving My Wife and Me a Pleasant Experience.
A little hesitant to reserve a hotel in a location we've not visited, we were agreeably surprised with the cleanliness, lack of wear and good staff/service. We understand it has been renovated not so long ago and it shows well. Don't be put off by the lack of Windows on the highway side... They are at the back! We had a quiet stay and while the breakfast room was pretty busy we had a table and everyone got on fine... The breakfast was standard fare to be sure but it was good value overall.
Front desk makes the whole stay at a hotel and tonya hit it out of the park.from the moment I entered the hotel she made me feel right at home.I love best western it's the best place going for what I want
Very nice room, looked recently updated, and was so clean. Conveniently located, and the staff was exceptional. There was also a hot breakfast included. Waffles, eggs, bacon, etc. Free wireless internet, hd tv. with tons of channels, and the bed was really comfortable.
Our room was beautifully decorated and seemed recently remodeled. We were impressed how clean everything as, the bathroom was shiny clean. Beds were so comfortable, nice big hd tv with lots of channels.
Booked one night on basis of Trip Advisor reviews. Final night on the Oregon Coast before heading inland to I-5. No smoking / no pets room. Queen bed. It had a compact fridge and microwave which we did not expect. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly, good-natured, reception. Didn't use the pool or the gym, but the pool looked good for families. Included breakfast was very basic with low-cost items, but we expected that and had brought our own fresh fruit, granola and yogurt so, with their coffee and toast, we were OK. Nice touch is that breakfast is served early, allowing an early start. If going through Reedsport, we would definitely recommend the BW Salbasgeon. Note: your GPS might try to take you to the BW Florence which has a similar address on Hwy 101, even though you enter "Reedsport".
We stayed at this Best Western for an overnight on our way to California. Very nice and clean room. Breakfast was great and the parking was right at the door. Very friendly staff too and they went out of their way to help with questions. Recommend.
We had 2 different rooms--one was a standard 2 queen/sofabed and the other was a huge suite (which cost more, of course). Both were clean & well maintained. There is laundry on the property and an indoor swimming pool. Breakfast was included. The front desk was very helpful & accommodating to our needs. This is not a fancy hotel but a good place to stay overnight on the Oregon coast.
Rooms were clean. Exterior entrances. Pool and spa, but the spa was not entirely working when we were there. Breakfast was OK - usual selection of scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. Not sure we would stay again.
Very nice BW Hotel. Room very clean and spacious. Perfect location for our access to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Bed very comfortable; room nicely appointed. Breakfast good -- had real butter and half n half. Staff was most accommodating.
I have asthma/allergies really bad. Staff told me just to open window to get rid of smell/cool down the room. Air conditioner continued to make a noise all night. We did not sleep due to the clank of the air-conditioner. Breakfast was powdered eggs, not sure if bacon what is real.
Not great but perfectly adequate for the night. The breakfast is quite poor. We didn't see any better options in the area though. The rooms are fairly spacious with okay beds. The staff were very nice.
This was a return trip from a friends wedding in Oregon and a long over due vacation for my wife and me!! We stayed at several Best Western Hotels on this trip and we were very happy with our experiences!
Our room was very clean, very friendly service at the check in and out, great breakfast spread every morning! Very close to other coastal towns and dunes. Convenient location. Call ahead to make sure pool and hot tub are working. They didn't work when during our stay and it was very disappointing.
While the hotel was OK, several amenities we lacking. The hot tub was not working either night we were there and the staff could not give us an update on when it would be fixed. The beds we fine, but the pillows were unsatisfactory. The high speed Internet worked off and on. The password changed several times during our stay and occasionally, we could not use Internet at all.
Room, sheets and towels clean. Water nice and hot. Internet good but sometimes a slight lag in room 212. Desk clerk and other staff friendly. Location good, parking seemed adequate. Motel was quiet, walls seemed reasonably thick. Guest washer and dryer looked new. Breakfast was a bit light, but the whole wheat bread was good. Con: No elevator. Plumbing fixtures are starting to show their age, and the building doesn't look that old. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is. Overall 5/5. Internet 4.5/5. Value 5/5.
Hotel amenities are excellent. Staff is on the ball & professional. Internet in room was excellent. No problems. Very nice, clean place. Breakfast is always great! If you want no worries while on vacation, use Best Western!
We stayed in a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. Everything in the room was very clean and well maintained. Or maybe the room was recently renovated. We only stayed one night as we were passing through on our trip up the coast. I was happy to find out they had guest laundry, since the other hotels that we stayed at did not. I think they have multiple laundry rooms, but the one next to my room had 1 washer and dryer. Both were hardly used and in good condition. The washer was $1 and the dryer $1.25. Good thing no one else needed it since I had 2 loads for that evening. Even though breakfast is included and we had planned to eat there, I ended up sending my husband out to get breakfast at McDonald's across the street for me and our 2 kids. The buffet counter in the hotel was really small. It had some yogurts, little muffins that weren't that great, and I think scrambled eggs with some meat. I didn't try the eggs, but I did take advantage of the juice dispenser and take OJ back to the room.
Stay was with a group on an overnight motorcycle ride. Location was convenient with easy access to stores and a short walk to the Harbor Light restaurant down the street. Room was clean and comfortable. Internet access was good. Did not use gym or pool but an indoor pool and gym facilities are available. Easy parking for motorcycle. Good breakfast. Would recommend this place and will return when in the area.
I stayed here with my family last August 2, 2017 on our Crater Lake to Oregon Coast tour. We are the unfortunate family to be given Room 218 with a defective AC. I brought up the issue to the front desk lady and she seemed to be deflecting the problem by asking the ages of my grown-up kids. She said all she can offer is 1000 rewards points which is equivalent to $100 (I later found out this is incorrect as 1000 rewards points redeems nothing at all). I remained persistent and asked to be moved to a different room but she said the hotel is fully booked. I pleaded my case and asked that if some guests have not checked in yet that she could probably switch rooms but to no avail. Again, the lady offered the whopping 1000 rewards points or I can look for alternate accommodations. Went back to the room without much option. The front desk lady later went into our room and said she called the owner to get a better deal for me. She later called to say that they are taking off $50 off my bill and giving me 500 bonus rewards points. Without much option as it is a very busy season, we stayed at this hotel leaving the windows open for some cool air. My guess is that the lady is just doing her job and it is the owner which drives them to provide really poor service. Outside of the AC issue, the room is clean, beds looks comfortable (didn't sleep that much due to no AC) and breakfast is as expected on a Best Western hotel. We stayed at 3 BW hotels that week and this is the worst experience. This hotel is also the priciest of them all and I would never ever return to this hotel.
Took a weekend trip down the coast and stayed here the first night. The rooms are accessed from outside. I only mention that because some people don't like that. The room was clean and neat and it was quiet. The beds were comfy, the room was a little on the smallish side but it worked. One thing I did like was the sink was outside the bathroom. The pool area looked nice but we didn't use it. On the negative side the parking was terrible. The parking area is small and people with boats took up two spots. Also negative is the breakfast area. The eating area is really small especially for the size of the hotel. The food is the usual hotel food. On the plus side there is a grocery store next door and a McDonald's across the street. All in all we would stay there again although it was a bit on the expensive side.
This is the first time we've stayed at this hotel on the Oregon beach. It's a really terrific inn and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The HVAC unit was excellent and cooled the room off quickly so we could sleep. And the room was as quiet as you could want - we didn't hear a peep all night. Plus it's walking distance to Harbor Light Restaurant which is the ONLY place to eat in Reedsport.
Our room was infested with ants. There were ant trails on all of the walls, across the bathroom counter and even on the headboard. I told the girl at the front desk and she seemed indifferent. For $168 a night, why would I ever return to this hotel? Yuck!
Easy to get into, shopping close by grocery & liquor store if you wanted to munch in....refrig & microwave made it easy.... restaurants super close and good selection. Set off the road slightly enough to calm the road noise and well lit parking to feel safe parking our motorcycles.Great breakfast selections on site, super clean rooms and comfy bed...liked the extra pillows
Our family stayed three nights at this location and enjoyed it very much. Rooms were fine, beds comfortable. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool very much (warm) and hot tub. Excellent breakfast. We liked the Reedsport area especially Winchester and the nearby dunes. So we'd stay here again.
A very average hotel. Believe it to be very old. Has been updated, but really a small room with a very small bath area. The bathroom door has to be closed so you can get to the sink. Our door had a large gap on the top and down the left side. The breakfast area was so small that people were eating outside at the curb and all over the small lobby. That should somehow be corrected. The scrambled eggs and sausage were OK, but the bacon wasn't so good. And this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at for 2 weeks!
As usual at a Best Western, we had a great nights stay - the breakfast was great as usual - I always look forward to staying at a Best Western and have not been disappointed - this was our first stay in Reedsport and was an enjoyable drive from Salem to Highway 101 via Drain
Located set back from the main road at the southern end of town so we needed to drive to a restaurant for dinner. We had a very large room on the ground floor (no.107) with a view to the river behind the hotel. Friendly & helpful staff, clean & tidy, good breakfast - what more does one need for one night!
Great staff and a nice, clean, and comfortable room. Convenience to the local resources. Breakfast is a good added value and internet is excellent. As a frequent traveler for business I appreciate the consistency of BW hotels and facilities.
Room was very clean and spacious as you would expect with a hotel of this class, staff extremely helpful also.It was very convenient for our route, would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling down the west coast.
We stayed one night. The hotel is located with easy access to highway 101 and adjacent to a supermarket and other stores and not far from a couple of dining options. The Oregon Dunes are also just a short drive away. Friendly and very helpful staff at the front desk. Our room had fine amenities, including microwave and fridge, and was nice and clean. Breakfast was of good quality, and again we noticed excellent staff, making this a very pleasant start of the day.
Found a room here a week before the 4th of July and used it as our home base to explore the Oregon National Dunes Parks. Great location, friendly staff, clean. Rooms are a little tight for a family of four, but if you aren't there much it won't matter. Good breakfast to start your day. Nice indoor pool for end of day fun. Walking distance to some good restaurants. We would stay here again.
I really do not like writing; however, you make it difficult in summing this survey. Yes, we love our experience with Best Western, and you are doing a great job, this vacation tripe and staying at the Best Western is the reasons we joined the BW reward membership. You have spoiled us from others Hotels & Motels, their is no comparison to your services and rooms.
While driving home (northwest WA) from Sacramento we tried to find a location that was a doable distance for us to travel in a day, had availability on a busy extended holiday weekend, and could accommodate our large family of 6. We were able to book a suite with our AAA rate for under $200 that gave us two king sized bedrooms and a fold out couch in the living room. The full kitchen was wonderful; however, we were not able to make use of it, given we were only staying one night. The large jetted tub in the bedroom was amazing to dream of using, had we spent more time here. Breakfast was included and had the usual selections of scrambled eggs, bacon (a bit too floppy for my liking), yogurt, fruit juices, oatmeal, and a waffle making machine. However, given the full capacity of the hotel being booked the night before, the breakfast space was WAY too crowded and small, and one waffle maker made for a long line of impatient waiters. On any other day during the year this may not be an issue, but on this busy summer holiday weekend the space and options were too limited. The staff was great- very friendly and easy to work with. We liked that the location allowed us to get on the road north and enjoy the Oregon Coast. A Safeway, McDonalds, bakery, and other "town businesses" were all within walking distance from the hotel and made it even more convenient. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely book again!
We stayed in a double queen suite as a family of 6. Pull out sofa wasn't exactly comfortable but then they never really are. That's why the little ones get that bed! Anyhow, room was clean and very recently remodeled. Didn't notice noise from other guests or the traffic right outside of our room but then I always leave the fan on to help with that. Breakfast was fine and pretty standard - waffles, eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurt, fruit, etc. We were happy here and would stay here again.
We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and set up well for families. The pool is the right temperature and the family really liked their time in the pool. We arrived a little early and the staff was able to accommodate us. Parking is easy and you can park fairly close to your room. We would highly recommend the Salbasgeon Inn as as a good safe place to stop with a family. If you like to walk I would suggest a short walk behind the Inn. Just follow the Ace Hardware parking lot. There is a beautiful lake behind the Inn. (Don't tell anyone it will be our secret..LOL) We will be back!
Easy to book at last minute, price bit high at 141 , would expect 120 but was convenient..breakfast a bit skimpy, noisy with firecrackers but got to sleep OK , ate at hooters down the street, very friendly people there great scenery too
Stayed here one night mid week. Was greeted by a great staff member in the lobby. The king bed room was clean and comfortable. The desk staff had great recommendations for local restaurants Had a great view of the umpqua river. I would stay here again
Stayed at this location based on trip advisor and Yelp reviews after a long exhausting day on the Oregon coast. Upon arrival, saw the entrances were closed due to re-asphalting of the parking lot. Had to drive half on the grass to get to the drive way of the main entrance . Walked into the lobby and checked in. A sign said pool was closed . Clerk said it was closed due to a chemical issue and maybe open later in the evening. There are no elevators. The rooms were ok and standard motel type. Best Western was the nicest of the motels in the area. The breakfast was ok , but there was only one waffle maker to use with multiple families and a tour group that was staying at the motel.
Family booked 4 rooms. Mona desk clerk provided good info on restaurants and local details. Good rooms and nice showers our room was clean and quite. Top floor 228. Fun location for access to Duns Go to Harbour Lifhts for a meal
Need more maintenance in pool room and better food the floor in the pool was dirty the eggs were not pretty good there was no parking space when we came back to the hotel room the room was nice and clean
Hotel is nice and clean. It is close to the Chainsaw Carving Competition which our son competes in. Close to the Harbor Lights Restaurant which was so good. Also close to the beach at Winchester Bay or the sand dunes.
We stopped in Reesport got the lead from Trip Advisor we found the hotel nice and clean. Beds were great. Left the window open and had some road noise but not bad. Had work out room, pool , and hot tub. For hotel free breakfast it was great.
THe breakfast was very good and the staff was responsive. However the room was noisy since we could hear the plumbing when it was used in the room above ours. it was convenient to have Safeway and McKays within easy walking distance
I was well pleased with this property and this room. Reedsport is a good town. I would like to visit more often. This was part of a very enjoyable visit to the South Oregon Coast. What a beautiful place to visit.
We stopped over for one night on our drive to Astoria. The front office staff is very friendly and gave us a corner lower level room. It's very convenient for us as it's only a few doors away from the laundry room and the costs to do a load is so reasonable - $1.50 to wash and $1.25 to dry. The nice touch to the service is that the hotel serves chocolate chip cookies at the counter that is nice and warm. And we can help ourselves to coffee, tea and hot chocolate at any time of the day. We love that the location is only a stone throw away from Safeway, a supermarket we can go to for our grocery needs. The room is clean and the design is such that the living room has a partition wall to block off the beds and so, it's semi-private.
I was not happy with the limited information about the TV in the room so I had to call down at the desk and someone came up to show me were the local stations were located. I found very few outlets for electric. Chairs were very uncomfortable.
Just a run down old motel that invested in a little paint, and countertops. Poor bedding, water in shower fluctuated by about 20 degrees multiple times per shower. Neighborhood was questionably dangerous and staff was not professional. This was way overpriced for the quality of services provided. I may have piad $50, but not $120 for this one-night stay.
We booked through hotels.com and the other choices in this tiny town looked very wore down. I detest the exterior room entrances but this was the only option for a chain hotel or one that did not look like a dump. Wouldn't recommend staying in Reedsport. Keep driving and stay in a more charming town.
Perfect clean hotel for night while traveling around Oregon. Fair price online included nice breakfast buffet. Pool and hot tub looked inviting. Lots of outdoor enthusiasts so fully booked on Saturday night.
From first arrival through use facilities, breakfast and check-out my experience at this establishment was first rate! The room was quiet, well appointed and comfortable, staff was good-humored and attentive and the amenities exceeded my expectations.
Room was surprisingly large. Staff friendly. Nicely updated. Pool was a nice treat for kids on a long night road trip. Breakfast was very good. Location is great, lots to do in the area. Fantastic lighthouses and beaches very close by.
Reception desk when we checked in was very unpleasant and di not make us feel welcome. Bed linins & pillows smelled of cig. smoke. Was unable to get extra pillow. WIFI was poor, keep dropping connection.
the room looked clean. the shower ran hot and cold if the people above you took a shower at the same time. lots of noise from above floor. we also got flea bites...but this may be the best place to stay in Reedsport or. not a lot of choices....we stay in Reedsport a lot we are trying the economy lodge 1/2 the price. but we may end up back at best western.
The Best Western in Reedsport provided us with a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were very clean and the staff happened to be very friendly. We plan on going back this year and we will most likely stay here again. Very accommodating.
Hi I stay here twice a week for work . I really enjoy the staff the rooms are clean and I love the hospitality. I enjoy the pool and the exercise room after a long days of work. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
We stayed for one night, the room looked clean but we both ended up with multiple flea bites. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable but the staff was nice and the complimentary breakfast was pretty decent.
Our friend living in Reedsport told us this is the best hotel in town. The room was a bit small but clean, the mattresses were thick, and the pillows and linens good quality.Safeway and Reedsport Pharmacy right across the road. Watch out for the washing machine - the lid locks once you insert the coins. Possibly a safety feature (?); I think the dryer locks but it can be opened during drying, whereas we couldn't get the washer open once it started. Breakfast, pool and spa tub were all good quality. The fitness room is fine except it gets overheated. The internet in our room was very unreliable, and both computers in the lobby were down the 3 days we were there.
Room was nice and bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was adequate. The problem was the WiFi. We've been on the road for eight weeks staying in many different hotels and this is the first one that would not let us have more than one computer hooked up at the same time. I contacted the front desk and was told different stories from different people. I kept getting an icon that said Your location is in use...never had that before. For this reason only I would never stay there again.
This Best Western offered a standard motel room with ok bathroom, Microwave, and fridge in room. Park outside your room. Continental breakfast included. Staff were friendly and helpful, Hope this helps.
Everything about this stay was wonderful! Freshly redone room, they are still upgrading other rooms nearby. The pool and hot tub were immaculate! The front desk staff was super helpful, even came to the room to show me how to figure out the remote! Comfortable beds.
Absolutely an excellent choice for the traveler. The rooms are comfy and quiet (albeit a tad dark in the wash area, so ask for brighter bulbs). Breakfast was terrific and ample. We brought everything back to our room and relaxed. On a late afternoon I desperately needed a snack - and was able to make a PB&J sandwich, thanks to the great desk staff. Lovely indoor pool also.
Driving down the coast of Oregon we stayed here for one night. The room was quite spacious. We were on the second floor and the stairways were quite wide compared to other places we had stayed. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Probably some of the best scrambled eggs we had tasted. I would stay here again.
The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. There was a hot dish every morning. For example: scrambled eggs, omelet, bacon, etc. We would stay there again. Next time I would bring my bathing suit.
Stayed here while traveling up the Oregon coast. Very small town but very nice. Hotel is a good choice to stay if you are in this area. Priced much lower than Florence, OR. Advised us the best place to eat dinner is the Harbor Lights and they were absolutely right. Amazing Seafood (all food looked amazing). The breakfast at the hotel is one of the best we've had in a hotel and the server was on top of everything. Great Customer Service. Highly Recommend.
Professional and clean. Very nice. As expected. I do think these rooms are overpriced. Still an ordinary place. Ordinary facility. Staff was nice. Nice breakfast and young woman was clean, professional and personable.
This Best Western was very clean and pet friendly....it also had a nice breakfast...very friendly staff and even though it was on the hwy 101 very quiet....I'd stay there again...a grocery store was on the same large area and a river behind the building..
The hotel lobby are nice and clean, so is our room. The pillow and bedding are good quality. But the breakfast is really bad, this is a surprise for us, we choose to stay at Best Western is because they usually has a better quality food in breakfast.
As anyways beds were good for Best Western. Breakfast was put together nicely and everything a fresh. Location is near some very good restraunts for fresh seafood and meat eaters. Located in a central area along the Oregon coast good jumping off point to to either north or south if traveling from inland.
This slightly old-fashioned motel is on the US 101, although I did not suffer from traffic noise at night. It has external entrances to the rooms and requires at least a couple of steps to access them (or many more if you are on the second floor). The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I felt that it was a bit expensive for what it was.
This motel is conveniently located on US Hwy 101. For anyone traveling up or down the coast, it is a clean, reliable and comfortable stay. Right down the street is an area frequented by elk in the field. Just an added plus for the location!
Hello, traveled here for work. The staff was nice. The hotel is just fine. It is right on 101. Wi-fi was rather slow. Easy location for exploring the coast. There are pet friendly rooms available not sure if they take cats.
I hadn't plan on staying here but after fighting traffic for five hours and with the onset of a migraine I spotted Best Western Salbasgeon out of the corner of my eye. As it turned out I ended up staying two nights. The stay was great. The hotel staff is customer-focused and worked with me for the additional night. It was quiet and very clean. Kudos to Janice whom I kept waking during both nights in order to access the coffee pot. :-)
staff very good . rooms were clean . plenty of parking . no noise of any traffic . close to safeway restaurants and gas stations . air conditioner was very quiet . multiple television channels . good selection of movies .wifi . easy check out . beautiful swimming pool and exercise room .
Great place with great staff! Room was large and well appointed. Only complaint was the bed was too soft so back not happy. Otherwise updated and good quality place to stop. Young lady at desk in morning, Chrystalina, was excellent as she was smart, friendly and unfazed by all the activity. She'd be a great hire anywhere!
Driving up the Oregon Coast this is one of the best BW hotels we stayed in. We had the 1 bedroom suite that had a large bedroom, plus eating bar and fireplace. Very relaxing. Indoor pool was nice for the 3 year old. Easy on/off hwy 101.
Hate it when they're wifi doesn't work which it doesn't so if you need wifi for your next hotel reservation forget this one. It is a clean and decent hi there el otherwise. They are short on parking places as well.
While it's older property, it's clean and well maintained. Great staff and good breakfast. Rooms are on the small side, they are clean and comfortable. The wireless is not to great, but works. Outlets are not convenient for bedside charging or other uses, i.e. CPAP. But overall a good place to stay, Quiet and convenient.
The Best Western in Reedsport provided a nights rest and stay while on our roadtrip. They had a decent breakfast and the place was fairly quiet. I wouldn't say it was excellent, but it provided what we needed. Thank you.
This hotel was a very nice place to relax. We had a very nice suite. It would have been nice to have ocean views but this property was not near the ocean but had a very nice pool and spa area. It has a very nice warm breakfast in the mornings with lots of options to offer.
Great place indoor pool and jacuzzi gave us a real nice upgrade suite at no extra charge as they were sold out and had nothing else on labor day weekend real nice staff parking for large vehicle middle of town 10 minutes from the coast view but next to all the restaurants can't complain except they need elevators if your on the upper floors.
Since we normally stay at BW's, we knew what to expect - a decent room and breakfast to get us on our way the next day. This recently renovated BW was way above our expectations. The room was very well designed, and the bed and pillows were excellent. We were able to peek in some of the other rooms as we left the next day, and all seemed above average for every moderate priced motel we have stayed at. Especially nice was the staff - very friendly and could share both road information and local highlights. The restaurant they recommended was very good too. Would highly recommend this place for an overnight or several days. Some of the rooms that we peeked into had real kitchens, with a full range and fridge.
We were on a motorcycle vacation and called ahead to have a room for the night. The clerk at the desk had everything ready for us when we arrived. Check in was a breeze! She even suggested a restaurant and gave us directions to get there. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Over all this is a great motel to spend the night at!
Cookie cutter motel but walls are paper thin. You can hear people walking upstairs and if your bed is near the bathroom you will hear shower and flushing noises from nearby rooms. Nice breakfast and helpful staff. If you want to see elks about 3 miles away , get there by 7:30am.
This was a great hotel. Full breakfast. Omelets, waffles, cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee, rosemary potatoes, fruit cups, etc. Clean room. Great water pressure. Easy check-in. Only complaint is we could hear water running from room upstairs. I would stay here again.
The hotel staff was very helpful, room was clean, comfortable and quiet for being on the main road. The new owners and Jenny made us feel welcomed. Breakfast had lots to choose from and staff was busy making sure there was always lots on hand. This was a great start to our week long ride down the coast.
Traveling the coast we came upon this Best Western. It was very clean. Rooms were comfortable, cool and quiet. Breakfast the next morning had all the normal options and plenty of seating for a hotel that was completely full. It met all of our expectations!!
This is a very nice property. Even though the website indicated there were no rooms available, we stopped in and got a room. It is a typical motel layout with outside entrances. However, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The pool area was large, clean, and nice. The breakfast area was small, but the food offered was tasty. To a loyal customer of other hotel brands, this Best Western was a nice surprise on our trip down the coast.
This was a nice break from the shoreline on our trip down the coast. Very attentive front desk keeps an eye on their property. Clean and comfortable rooms, we'll stocked breakfast and the indoor pool was a treat!
My stay here was what I needed for a stop along the coast: clean, comfy, no surprises. The room was exactly what you'd hope for at a Best Western-level hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was perfectly presentable (I am a sucker for those make-your-own-waffles setups!). Checkin and checkout were straightforward and pleasant. The wifi worked fine for both my Apple devices. The hotel is walking distance from a very nice restaurant (Harbor Light) and is two doors away from a grocery store (handy for buying lunch supplies for the next day's trip). One unexpected nice thing about this hotel: the back window faces onto an estuary, and I actually watched an egret fishing for his breakfast as I drank my morning coffee. :-)
Very nice clean motel. Nice environment. Close to a number of places to eat and shop. Great for a one night stop on hwy 101. I would stay there again. The only problem I see is that the access to the indoor pool and lobby would be inconvenient in the winter or wet weather.
Car broke down during our road trip and we unexpectedly had to stay while awaiting parts for repair. The staff was amazing, best customer service we experienced on our trip. Breakfast spread was great, and they had fresh chocolate chip cookies at night!
As a place to stop for just a night this was nice. Room nice and clean bed somewhat comfy. Breakfast could have been better. Staff was nice. Good place to stop for the night after a long day of driving. Close to stores pretty area. We would probably stop again.
Perfect location along Hgwy 101 nr Intersection with Hgwy 39. Plenty of stores nearby and close to old town district. Pet friendly, although a bit pricey at $25/nite. When I commented about that, Christalina graciously took off one of the two nites fee. It might have helped that she met our little 11# short hair darling. We travel with a bed sheet to cover the bed with so she is not laying on 'guest' covers or bedding. (Seems like common courtesy) Location was quiet, even though right beside the highway. An ample grass area for pets, although no pick-up bags available (no biggie since we have our own attached to the leash).
Essentially this is the only hotel I would stay at in Reedsport. Others are old and rundown. B ut in the tradition of Best Western, it is a very nice motel, with good rooms and b eds and amenities and a great morning breakfast. Only drawback for a slow internet. Also, choice of places to eat in Reedsport is limited and there is virtually no b each access.
My two children and I were in town visiting family and needed a place to stay. I was nervous being by myself with two children under 5, so I picked Best Western because of their reputation. It didn't disappoint. Yes, you do have to walk across a small parking lot to get to the lobby where the pool and breakfast is, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The pool area was clean and warm, the kids loved playing in it. The breakfast area was small, but it had several different options for everyone's taste. I packed up breakfast items on a tray and we ate in our room. That was much easier than having to corral these two kids and stress that they are bothering the other guests. The lady who was in charge of the breakfast station was so nice and kind. I wish I would have gotten her name. (Also, the cleaning lady with the Def Leppard shirt, she was so nice, too!!) The room itself was a bit small, but it had a fridge for the kids' milk and a microwave. It was large enough for my daughter to use her inflatable bed on the floor (she's 2.5). The room could have used some attention to detail, there were cobwebs in the corners of the room, but that really is the only complaint that I have.
Great stay clean rooms wifi was great to the minute I checked in greeted with a smile on there faces the room were clean and my requested were meet and in the morning breakfast was nice waffles bacon juice yogurt, fresh coffee nice stay for a great price would stay here again
The woman at the front desk was courteous and efficient. The room was alright as was the rest of the motel. The maids were very helpful. The breakfast room was extremely small; even on Monday morning we had to wait in line for a spot. The WIFI basically did not work, neither on my Ipad nor our Iphones. Frustrating since we were there for business.
Stayed last weekend one night after a beautiful drive down the coast to do some crabbing! The front desk agent Ann totally made our stay which happened to be my birthday! She was so friendly and polite and made us feel so at home and comfortable! We got a beautiful jacuzzi room with all we wanted including a fireplace and a great night sleep! We will definitely be back, very soon! I would highly recommend! Thanks again to Ann!!
Had a nice stay here. Clean and comfortable enjoyed our stay and the front desk lady was very sweet and helpful. The only issue was the mini fridge was not working. When they offered to switch our rooms to a working mini fridge that one was not working as well. But this was only a minor inconvenience. We enjoyed ourselves and I would stay again.
The Salbasgeon does not have much competition so it is easy to say that it is the best motel in Reedsport. One big plus is that it has over sized parking slots making in ideal for the many visitors towing trailers with boats or sand buggies. Breakfast is a little better than average, rooms are clean and comfortable. Kids will enjoy the nice pool. The only negative is that the lights over the sink are more decorative than functional. Great place toview yourself in the morning as you cannot see any damage from the night before. Women will find that the lighting it totally inadequate for putting on makeup.
Booked multiple rooms for 3 families traveling together. Rooms were good sized and clean, well equipped. The free breakfast ends at 9:30 am and does not have much choices in it. It also gets too crowded after 8:30.
The front desk person on check in and check out (same person without a name tag) was rude and cold. This did not give a pleasant beginning or ending to my stay at this hotel. I have been a loyal Diamond customer of BW for many years, and this is the first time that I felt that I was a burden to a hotel.
The hotel's location is good, very convenient. The hotel has a in-door pool, unfortunately we did not get time to use it. The room is ok. The breakfast is pretty boring and similar to what is offered in a motel. I would expect to have a better one consider the hotel's price range.
The room is big and comfortable, WiFi works very good and overall the room is nice. The breakfast is very basic and the breakfast area is very small, so it gets full very quickly, you might have to wait a little.
would stay at any Best Western again. Excellent service and great food and especially wonderful rooms. The beds were out of this world. Wish I could take the bed home with me and sleep as well as I did.
The hotel was fine, clean, friendly staff just overpriced for the area. there is no a lot in the area not many restaurants to choose from. I thought we would be closer to the water also . The breakfast was not stocked so not much to eat. Had to pay for breakfast elsewhere
The room was very clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. The decor was very dark and old style looking - not cheerful. There was a nice view of a lake across the street from the room window if you were sitting at the table.
The room itself was nicely appointed and clean. The breakfast area was set up attractively and the selection was as expected . The problems with the hotel were threefold;. The most serious was that the shower was only lukewarm in the morning, second, the bed was too soft, and three, couldn't get on the internet with my tablet unless I was in the main lobby. I could get on with my phone in my room.
We had been hoping to make it further down the coast that night, but time and traffic weren't on our side. The staff was helpful and friendly, and we were able to get in and get situated for the night easily. T:he breakfast and breakfast area were above standard, with hot entrees and real plate/utensils and bus staff. I'm glad that we found this one on the road, even though it was not part of our original plans.
Rooms are always clean. Hotel is pretty quiet for being right on the highway through town. Front desk staff always friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced hotel. They have an indoor pool and spa, and serve a nice continental breakfast in the morning
Hotel was average, met my expectations more or less for the rates I paid for. Not too many decent places to eat out near the hotel. Had booked three rooms in total. Nothing great but I can't say I was dissatisfied.
Best Western has upped their game!!! We are not starting to stay at Best Western Plus when available and the regular BW is fine, too. We prefer heated indoor pools and that usually determines if we book or not if our great grand is with us. We would recommend this hotel.
Very nice location with helpful and friendly staff who did everything they could to accommodate our group in arranging rooms close to each other and with access for our older members. Great location near shopping, local attractions and hi-way access. Only distraction was very slow internet speed.
Stayed for one night and the motel was quite average at best. It was clean and the beds were comfortable and this is important. The breakfast was adequate but the manager needs to have a talk with the breakfast staff. Both women were very unpleasant.
The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was fresh and better than most we've stayed at before. Good location, right off the 101. For the star rating, you can't beat this property. We would definitely stay here again.
We arrived without a reservation and were able to get a great room. By the time we left the next morning the place was packed. The room layout was a bit odd: the bathroom had a door between the vanity area and the bath/toilet area. The door covered the vanity area when you opened it. However, the room was very comfortable and clean.
First off, there are seedy and pretty nasty looking motels in this town. This hotel is nearly an oasis in a town with limited accommodations. The room we stayed in was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The staff was very polite and helpful. Free Wi-Fi is always a plus and free breakfast was great too. Runny scrambled eggs were the only, and very minor, exception to a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Everything was top notch. Room was crisp and clean. Walls kept noise out. (Could not hear traffic or other guests.) Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the indoor heated pool and hot tub, as well as a simple elliptical machine in the small "gym." We can't wait to go back.
This is a good location for fishing trips from Reedsport or Winchester Bay. The rooms were very clean and a good value for a suite. You can walk to some restaurants and to a grocery store. Staff members were friendly. I would return to this hotel.
very good. I needed good night sleeps location is good nice breakfast. Staff is alert and helpful and dressed professionally. When I show up I'm usually too tired to do anything but sleep. Your motel is just right for that and helps me get on my way with seven thirty wake up calls
Rooms were very clean and cozy. Staff was very nice and very friendly. Hot tub and pool were clean and enjoyable. Prices were good. Showers jumped from hot to cold to warm and back to hot. Parking is good. Entrances are outside which is convenient for unloading and loading the vehicles for first floor rooms. Only complaint about the outdoor entrances is that smokers and their nasty habit pollute the air all around.
We were assigned a handicap room which had a very nice and new redone bathroom shower. Very user friendly. Our room was well kept, it included a Mini Fridge & Microwave. I would have liked to have had a small freezer inside the fridge because we were traveling with our dog who is on a specific diet. I have to make, package and freeze it in order for him to come with us. I was able to get enough ice to fill our cooler and keep his food frozen while we stayed in the area. Ample parking spaces, a pool, breakfast served daily. Close to just about everything. We did walk to dinner both nights.
The morning after our departure, as I was driving into North Bend, OR, I realized that I was not wearing my wedding ring (along with 2 others). Thinking that I had left them on the bathroom counter in our room, I called the hotel right away and Jenny answered. She and the head of Housekeeping immediately turned the room upside down -- twice! -- looking for the missing rings, while I started going through my travel bags in the off chance that I'd absent-mindedly placed them in one of those, which I had (how embarrassing!). I called Jenny back to let her know that I'd found them. She was so concerned when I first called, and so gracious and understanding when I called back. Both she and her head of Housekeeping truly went above and beyond in their care and concern, for which I was (and am) extremely grateful. Bonus: our room was nicely appointed, very comfortable, and very clean. Many thanks again to them both!
While checking in, we needed to change our room to a lower level room. The receptionist made this happen, and got our room closer to our other family staying as well. She was also a wealth of information in regards to places to have dinner. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
The room was clean and well outfitted, big TV with Direct service, the staff was friendly enough, the breakfast bar was well stocked. I think it was a bit overpriced compared to other Best Westerns, considering there isn't much going on in Reedsport. All exterior corridor rooms face US101, but there really wasn't much of a highway noise issue anyway. Over all, a good place to put up for the night.
Room was clean but dated. Shower head was nice and water pressure was great. The breakfast was good and the area was very clean. Walking distance to fast food restaurants. Carrying luggage up two flights of stairs is a work out. The parking lot felt safe.
It's a typical Best Western, you can usually count on them being a middle of the road hotel and that's what this is. Friendly and helpful front desk, large rooms. We were in a handicap accessible and the shower was huge but there is no shelf to put the soap or your toiletries on so everything ends up on the floor. A little inconvenient. We travelled with a small dog and they were very accommodating. The room seemed clean enough although the dog was fascinated with the smell of the carpet??. It is close to the dunes but I don't know what beach access means unless they mean if you get in your car and drive you can get to the beach.
One of the nicest Best Westerns we've stayed in! There was a wonderful king bed, plenty of mirrors, quiet location, split sink/shower area (which is a real plus), nice work area with good lighting, and plenty of gluten-free options for breakfast. There were a few minor issues that we reported to the front desk, but overall, we had a nice stay. Thank you, guys!
Located along Oregon Coat Highway, this is a great place to spend the night. Very quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff very accommodating and attentive. Great breakfast selection. Dining area and lobby well maintained.
I have stayed at this property before and it fell short of reaching my service expectations. I reached out to the general manager regarding my issues and I am happy to say that this property went above and beyond during this visit! Jennie offered me a discounted rate to make up for the issues experienced previously, which was nice. When I arrived Monique was there to greet me, and was gracious enough to offer me an upgrade at no extra charge! The room we were placed in was...just amazing. Nice and roomy, with a fireplace-which was nice when we had family back for a visit. Thank you again, Jennie and Monique, for taking the time to make this a memorable stay for me and my family.
Excellent staff all were very helpful. The rooms were excellent! Very clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We were originally going to stay at the BW in Florence, but decided to stay in Reedsport and am glad we did. Pool was a good size, My kids enjoyed playing in it.
The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast spread was definitely adequate. I would be happy to bring my family back for a weekend at the coast and stay at Salbadgeon Inn. It was a bit pricey for a business trip.
Very nice place, clean, friendly staff, quiet. Food was good, recommendation for dinner was okay. Would stay there again. Dislike surveys that make you write till your hands are sore just to fill space.
I've stayed at this motel before and knew it to be good. Was glad that I didn't need a reservation as I was not clear as to when I could get to Reedsport. I needed to be farther North of my first destination which was North Bend and next was Lincoln City. The rooms, service and breakfast are the best
Easy access, nice appearance, Clean, nicely furnished rooms. Very comfortable bed. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast offered, items were fresh, and presented in a clean environment.
I came up to see my husband after he had just lost a friend to the ocean. The staff was super nice and compassionate. The rooms were very clean which is a major plus since you don't see that anymore. I will be back to stay here. Thank you to the front desk for such a great job.
Had a rainy fishing trip on coast and decided to try the BW hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. The lighting can be improved, as quite dark. This seems to be standard in many motels. Breakfast was one of the better ones we had experienced. Staff was friendly and competent.
This hotel was a delight to stay in. The staff were courteous and friendly, the room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. there were restaurants nearby for dinner. The food offered for breakfast was outstanding, with real bacon and eggs, as well as all the other usual fare. we would definitely stay here again.
Due to a slide on 101, I had to change my reservations last minute to this hotel. I called and had the best service and a great rate for the nicest BW suite I have ever stayed-whirlpool tub AARP rate. Even had a bar, with real dishes, glassware, wine glasses, etc. BW has really stepped up "their game" and are so nice these days-spotless. And the staff person let me know I had two BW rewards accounts that I may want to merge. I had no idea..thank you so very much. The worry and stress of that slide turned into a very good thing :)
This hotel offers a clean room with good beds and a decent breakfast in the morning. Do not count on being able to use the wifi. The hotel is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants, and is not far from beaches, lakes and hiking. IF your looking for a decent night in a safe place, this is a good place. If your looking for luxury, look elsewhere.
Nice Jacuzzi suite for a fair price. The bar was unexpected and nice. We had 2 TV's so we didn't have to watch cartoons with kids. The gas fireplace was nice and pleasant. The pool was across the parking lots so it was chilly walking back to our room. The staff was great and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Who doesn't like bacon and eggs and waffles.
The gal who checked us in-amazing. Luckily she was also there to check us out. The gal who worked the evening shift was of no help. I had a very important conference call to attend and the Wifi stopped working on all of my devices. Called the front desk using my in room phone-called several times actually-and nobody answered. Used my personal phone, had to call a few times-and finally someone answered. Unfortunately, I was treated as though I was an inconvenience...and she was not able to help me resolve my issue. Sadly, I missed the conference call altogether-which reflected poorly on myself in the eyes of my company.
The rooms were quiet even though we were right by the hwy. We heard no traffic. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I loved having two chairs to relax in. The breakfast was wonderful, with sausage and eggs which saved us time and money. We love having the extra protein in the morning and not all carbs. Thank you BW.
The hotel is very nice clean and has a great small town feel. The breakfast was hot, eggs bacon waffles muffins fruit coffee juice and more. Good selection and enjoyable. The indoor pool and hot tub were very nice after a long day walking the nearby beach. The rooms are well maintained and the staff is very home town friendly.
We were traveling during the Christmas break with our 10 year old grandson. We selected a room on the bottom floor with two queen beds. The room was comfortable and clean. (I frequently am uncomfortable with stuffy rooms that are too hot or too cold.) We did not hear any road noise, but that was probably because the rooms with Queen beds are at the back, furthest from the road. We did not use the indoor pool, but it looked clean. Breakfast was good-waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, juice, coffee. This is our second stay at this motel--friendly service and definitely the best option in Reedsport. You can find cheaper places, but they are older and not as clean.
I stay at best western hotels very often. I use them for both business and pleasure. being a store owner and having to travel a lot takes its toll on a person, especially if you go to a hotel that does not care about you. that's why I like best western. I always feel welcomed and don't normally have to wonder if the room is clean, I have only had one bad experience, the problem was addressed and the issue was resolved in a timely fashion. one time out of hundreds is perfectly fine with me. the hotel in Reedsport Oregon was the most exceptional of all. I drove 40+ miles out of my way towards the middle of nowhere, because the mountain gave out and closed down the highway, and found a little costal town that had a best western and to my surprise, it was phenomenal.
Our king room was spacious and even had two televisions. We appreciated the additional space, since we were traveling with a toddler with a pack n' play. Check-in was simple and easy, and although we did not partake, breakfast looked good. The only reason I did not give this motel an excellent rating was because the jets in the hot tub were not working and we would appreciate an elevator. Although the stairs aren't much, it was difficult for my husband, who has a bad knee, and we travel with a lot of accessories for our toddler.
This hotel was the best option in the area, hands down. Front desk staff wasn't as welcoming as one would expect (especially since I'm in the business, as I manage the front desk at my hotel), but I figured maybe she wasn't happy to be working on Thanksgiving...totally understandable. I was curious if your rewards club offered a discount, as I am unfamiliar with the BW brand (and the IHG rewards program does not offer discounted rates for being in the rewards club), and I was told, "you already have a discount, we don't add discounts on top of discounts..." Which isn't what I was asking. I wasn't being a rate n*zi, I was simply trying to learn more about the BW rewards club, and what it offers to it's members. I was taken back by the response I got. However, I would recommend this property to others in the area.
I liked this hotel very much. The only drawback was the entrance to the outside and no elevator to the second floor (steps are outside as well). But I did feel safe and it was nice and clean. Staff was nice.
My daughter was in a head on collision close by. After being released from the hospital she stayed here. She had no clothes, no food, no vehicle and was totally stranded in a strange place. The staff we to far out of their way and above and beyond, I am so humbled. Not only did they get her clothes to wear, but they gave her a great rate, took care of her and offered her a ride to wherever she had to go. The compassion, empathy and sympathy mad such an impression on us all. These things can only be real and genuine, anything else would be obvious enough. All I can say is thank you, one thousand times over! I hope to write a letter to corporate telling them how their staff saved and made better a horrible situation.
We stayed here for two nights. Our room was clean and very up to date. Nice sized bathroom and decent shower. Our family stayed in the BW in Coos Bay and it was outdated and more expensive. The staff here were friendly and very informative. The continental Breakfast was great! Waffles eggs sausage and toast. Yogurts juices and coffee with good creamer! If we come back to this part of the Oregon Coast we will for sure stay here! Florence and Coos Bay ate just a few miles away!
We were helping our niece move a few things to their new home in Oregon. We like staying at Best Westerns because they are comfortable and clean. We like being able to have breakfast in their dining area.
Very comfortable hotel centrally located in sand dunes area within short driving distance to beach. Breakfast included. Self-made waffle was very good. Hot tub was great. Must walk outside to pool and breakfast area.
Room was quite roomy with table and two chairs. Had all the amenities which we needed because we were on an extensive trip and needed the refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Was told that they were going to be remodeling very soon and I have to say that the hallways, stairs, etc. really needed to be changed out. It should be very nice when they are done. Staff was pleasant.
My wife and two kids 8 & 7 took a quick weekend trip to this hotel for an Oregon Coast getaway. The hotel is right on US route 101, so you can't miss it. We stayed in a KIng room with a pull-out sofa bed. We stayed in room #229 which was across from the top of the stairs. The room was large and had all of the usual 3-star amenities. The bathroom was decently sized. The toilet was a little small, but it had a powerful flush. I often worry with hotel toilets, but this little toilet was a dynamo. The tub was average-sized and had OK water pressure and enough hot water for everyone. The sink and vanity was outside the bathroom, which I prefer. The room had a small wet-bar sink and a mini-fridge. Most hotel mini fringes are weak and take 24 hours to cool down a can of soda. This little fridge not only cooled down our soda, but the cans on the top shelf next to the freezer compartment froze solid!!! The TV was a nice big flat screen and it was attached to a DirecTV box with a ton of channels including multiple HBO and Cinemax channels. The beds were average and were soft enough, however, I woke up with back aches every morning, but maybe that was just me. The overall motel was quiet. The front desk service was fast, friendly and efficient. The breakfast area was average sized and the woman who maintained the breakfast service was fast and efficient herself. The offerings were eggs, bacon, waffles and the usual suspects in the hotel breakfast lineup. My only complaint was that they only had one waffle machine and it seems the average person is incapable of knowing how to operate this simple machine. This issue caused a major holdup and wait if anyone wanted a waffle, which was like every person in the room, especially my two kiddos. We stayed here using a Groupon and paid about $75 a night with tax, so I felt we got a great deal, but the normal rack rates at this property can be quite spendy, so your mileage may vary. I would stay there again with a discount for the good service, the quiet location and the convenient location that was halfway between Coos Bay and Florence.
We were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful hotel twice in one week! We stopped by on day three of a cycling trip and had a great room and breakfast (the bacon rocks) and when we had finished our 365 miles in 5 days we decided to stay again on our way back to Seattle. Our last day was an 87 mile day, so we were tired. We had ended at a wonderful winery outside of Southerlin and then headed out around 4pm working toward the Oregon Coast. Well, tired set in and we found ourselves in Reedspot again and at the door step of the Best Western. Anne helped us find a wonderful room with a huge tub and wonderful king bed. We slept great and were on the road the next day after breakfast of course. This is an wonderful hotel with great staff and we will stay there again and whenever we are in Reedsport. Thanks Anne and the rest of the great people who are part of this hotel's family.
We booked this hotel via cell, about an hour before arrival, due to no cell service on our road trip, and delays that prevented us from getting as far as we intended. It had a groupon, but not for travelers with pets, so we paid more, plus a $20 pet fee. When we arrived, the receptionist was nice, but indicated we should have booked earlier. We thought this unprofessional, and unnecessary. We were told we could not have a one bed room, and had to have a double due to our pet. The room was tiny. It was clean except for the carpet which gave the room an odor. Our dog went from spot to spot sniffing. In the morning I told them the carpet needed cleaning, and was told that could't be done till winter, or maybe the next weekend. Really? $20 extra from each pet owner, and the carpet can't be cleaned. The pool was out of order. The computers were down, so we got no receipt, and one was not sent as we were told it would be, until we called Best Western. The hotel is on the highway, not the beach. So the rate was too high for the location, even if the room had been nicer. The staff was all very pleasant. But this hotel could take a lesson from other Best Westerns that are better, and more reasonable.
Best Western has become our hotel of choice on our travels when available. On our road trip from Seattle to San Francisco, we stayed at mostly Best Westerns along the way. This one had the largest rooms of all we stayed in. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
I think one stays at a Best Western because they are usually uniform and it was thus in Reedsport: clean, adequately appointed ( microwave, small fridge, etc), competent staff. Usual continental breakfast, which is an inexpensive way to start one's day. During our one night stay, we walked to dinner (as the desk clerk suggested) at the Harbor Heights Restaurant ( sorry, that may not be the exact name--check it out) and were wowed by the dinner there. That is a big plus, I think, for this motel.
While I would not generally aim to stay overnight in Reedsport (restaurant options are very limited), this is another very nice, quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced Best Western facility. We have great luck with BW throughout the U.S.
Good value. Excellent staff. Caring people who go out of their way to accomedate you. I stay at this facility at least once a month for a visit usually of 3-5 days at a time. It is convienent to all resturants and other attractions. Also, has plenty to do to keep me occupied and busy. I am considering a move to Reedsport so my stays have been for business and pleasure both. Seeing the area and investigating properties for sale.
This hotel is either relatively new or fully renovated. We had a comfortable and spacious King bed room. The internet wasn't super fast, but it was adequate. The room had a small frig with a freezer compartment which we needed. There were lots of outlets for charging our multiple devices. We would stay here again.
We were very frustrating in finding a room this night and we had to go about 45 mins past where we wanted to. The lady was very nice at check in and new I was a bit frazzled etc. We got the last room when I had booked it online and she saw what I paid and upgraded it since I paid so much and another person hadnt paid as much as me which I thought was nice. Its ashame we didnt have more time because we had a nice jacuzzi and fireplace in our room. The lady at check out was very nice to and the breakfast was good. They had a hot breakfast with waffles, eggs, pasties, fruit etc. Overall loved the room and would recommend it and stay here again my only problem was paying a 150.00 for a night when we just needed some place to shower and sleep.
They were great on a busted trip we had recently and put us up in nice digs. The room was great and we tried to return last week, butt things change. It's a nice motel, just not as advertised. NO PETS!
