    « Super clean Hotel ! »

We have no complaints about this hotel . We had a very pleasant experience ! The breakfast items were very good , the staff was courteous and helpful this hotel was very clean . The room was very comfortable and clean.

    « Excellent Stay »

Enjoyed the social hour and the breakfast the next morning. Will definitely stay here in the future when making trips to the area for leisure and business when able. Will recommend this hotel to others for same reasons.

    « Good Location »

Safe , Clean place to stay. Close, but not to close to the freeway, and local amenities. Nice breakfast and pool looked inviting , but we did not use this trip . Bring your own TV remote if you want to connect to the big TV HDMI

« Excellent for the price »

I wanted a hotel in Phoenix that wasn't too far from the airport but wasn't right next to it either and didn't break my budget..this hotel was perfect! We went to the Grand Canyon for one day and stayed here for 2 nights in a standard king bed room facing the pool. Room was very clean and nicely updated, AC worked well, breakfast in the lobby was better than anticipated (waffle maker, yogurt machine, hot eggs/sausage/potatoes, fresh fruit) we only wished it opened sliiiightly earlier (technically opens at 6:30AM, we had a flight to catch but were able to have some yogurt and a banana at 6AM!) Would recommend for sure

    « Clean and comfortable »

I came to Pheonix for hotel sales training. Check in and check out were smooth and easy with all front desk agents pleasant and friendly. The room was clean, looked to be recently renovated, and comfortable. Wifi was just right. I would love to see some more options at the breakfast but it is the standard Best Western continental breakfast. AND...they are really close to the Dreamy Draw Preserve where I enjoyed some excellent hiking in the evenings. The sign says that it closes at 7PM but I don't think that they are strict about it as there were folks just starting at 7 when we finished our hike. I would definitely recommend it to others.

    « Newly refurbished »

Good location for travelers coming to Phoenix. Nice area. This hotel was recently refurbished with new furniture and a redecorated lobby.. The rooms are well equipped with amenities you would expect. Staff is helpful and friendly. The only negative is that the TV is mounted to the wall at the foot of the bed and doesn't have swivel capability so it is difficult to see from any other place in the room such as the chair or the desk. If you are a Diamond member don't expect a room upgrade at this property - I have been here 4 times including a Sunday night when the hotel was half full and have never been offered a room upgrade. Other than that it is an average Best Western (which is a positive) and a comfortable place to stay.

« Comfortable room, great hot tub and good pricing »

For our purposes while in Phoenix, Arizona this Best Western took care of all of our needs, which included a hot tub, good parking and quiet room. The breakfast is very good and the social hour in the lobby each day is a nice touch.

« Good location and Breakfast »

Went down to AZ for Bike week. This hotel was convenient to freeway, restaurants, and reasonably priced for area. The fitness room had plenty of options and open 24/7. Pool was outdoor but clean and inviting. Breakfast was great. Options for all diets, families, and was fresh. Staff was helpful and friendly. No issues while there and parking was plentiful. I would look at this place if going to Phoenix.

« Very good hotel ,excellent staff »

My wife and I stayed here 4 /12 thru 4/17 , we picked this hotel after checking reviews on line ,we didn't want to spend a ton of money as this was kinda spur of the moment trip ,we were here for UFCfight night at gila river arena on 4/14 , and were looking for a winter home in the Phoenix area, the hotel is very conveniently located right off the 51 highway, close to the 10 and 60 highway also but it's in a very quiet area north of Phoenix, let's start with the staff Devonte checked us in ,we arrived at 11 AM, soo tired from our flights ,we left NY at 3 am ,went thru 3 hour time change also ,we just wanted to sleep for a while knowing the check in time isn't for a few hours , well devonte said I totally understand and handed us the keys quickly explained the hotel and we were off to sleep ,I cant say enough about Sue ,Patti ,devonte ,...Patti was super so helpful we actually spent some time a couple evenings just down in lobby chatting with her ,she is a people person ,very nice , Sue is super also as I said before we were there also to look for winter home ,she told us several places to look at as she has 1st hand knowledge of the areas housing ,we ended up going to the same development she lives in ,we will be purchasing a home there ,she explained everything in detail about what to expect , all 3 of those employees go above and beyond to make guest's stay excellent

    « A nice hotel »

The hotel is near the 51 freeway with easy access to all of the Phoenix area. It has a nice pool, and the breakfast offerings were good. Entry and exit from either Northern or 16th street are okay, but tricky if traffic is heavy.

    « Horrible »

I stayed April 6th-8th. When i checked in Devonte was nice, on the other hand Patti was VERY RUDE. I forgot my keys in the room and she wouldn't give me another. She insisted on my ID but my purse was locked in the room. The next day i asked for late checkout and she said NO and hung up the phone. I loved the place but you're staff was rude. They didnt explain express checkout, Breakfast, and amenities. As a Best Western Manager i expected more from this hotel.

    « Great Stay »

The rooms were newly renovated. The hotel provided a great happy hour that included free snacks and drinks. Facility was clean. Great location. Helpful staff. The rooms were a little noisy at night, but overall a great experience.

    3
« OK for a night or two »

The bad: Horrible bed (brand new, I was told). Horrible rough sheets. Screaming children at the pool. No views. The good: free basic breakfast (eggs, patties, bagels, fruits). Free wine/beer in the evenings.

    4
« Decent Hotel in a nice area of town. »

The Best Western InnSuites is a little dated but the room was clean and beds were comfortable. The fan was a little loud but did keep the room cool. The check-in process was very easy and Chelsea at the front desk was very accommodating. They have a very good breakfast with all of the offerings you would normally expect at a chain type hotel. There is also a free happy hour where they serve snacks, beer and wine. The pool and hot tub were very nice and there is a workout room as well. There are also good restaurants within walking distance .

« Great City to start your Arizona Trip! »

We started our Arizona vacation in Phoenix. After acclimating ourselves and relaxing we were ready to travel on. This hotel was made even more exciting with a free beer and wine social in the afternoon. There was a choice of different beers and wine. They also served nachos with spinach and artichoke dip, chili and melted cheese. The children in attendance also enjoyed the popcorn and pretzels with various soft drinks. After relaxing, we routed out next 7 days in Arizona. Great time!!

    2
« Overrated based on my experience »

We paid a lot to stay here, due to spring break/spring training. Even so, I expected to have a tidy room. There was some trash left in my room (cardboard and styrofoam packaging), and the beds were a little messy like they'd been made up in a hurry, which I'm sure is true but not a good feeling when you come into your room. Carpet and tubs need replaced. My closet had exposed wood, like they were in the middle of renovating. Breakfast was okay. My colleague's room was very noisy, but mine wasn't too bad.

    4
    « Sleeping in Phoenix »

The location is very good. The exhaust fan in our bathroom did not work and every time the shower was turned on in the room above us, there was a loud burst of noise. The carpet needs to be cleaned. The Social Hour amenity was nice.

    3
    « OK Stay »

Room was not clean, however desk staff and shift manager offered to make it right. Room was right above eating area, and strong food smell came into the room. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.

    5
    « Purpose served »

We stayed at Best Western Inn Suites for a quick hot second. You can see they have done a lot of renovations and it looks beautiful. Front desk staff was very pleasant at check in and the rooms were comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer but this trip was an emergency and it served its purpose. Next time we plan on staying longer to enjoy all amenities.

« In town for Spring training games »

Stayed 3 nights with son, daughter and their families. Experience overall was very good. Pool and breakfast along with evening cocktails and snacks were all well done. Price was higher than normal for all area hotels due to Cactus League games in full swing.

    « Terrible Experience »

I reserved a room on Booking.com when I arrived the room which I had already paid for I was told the room was not available. I was offered an alternative room that did not have enough bags for our party. The room was disgusting dirty half of the plugs did not work the bath did not drain the hairdryer was broken and nonexistent and finally it was dirty Bug infested place to sleep with uncomfortable. See the pictures of a bug of which there were many in our room with my accompanying photos. I will never stay at best Western again. While the breakfast was OK it was nothing special. The pool area is small and rather haggard. I honestly can't think of a single good thing to say about this place other than it is in the OK part of town. There are so many better options all over Scottsdale I don't know whyAnyone would choose to stay here.

    « Best Western InnSuites - 1615 E. Northern Ave. Phoenix AZ 85020-3932 »

My wife and I stayed at the above named property from January 30th through February 28th. Nick Thompson and his staff made our stay a very enjoyable visit. The staff from the front desk, breakfast crew, happy hour person, and housekeeping were very polite and professional. It is always a pleasant experience to stay there.

    5
« Excellent location and wonderful suite »

The location is marvelous to enjoy a stay in the Phoenix area: Spring training games, Desert Botanical Garden, Tallesin West, beautiful landscape and terrain fir walks/hikes. Nearby restaurants are wonderful, the rooms are very nicely remodeled, staff is very cordial and helpful.

    5
« Friendly staff help make the stay even better »

Great staff helped make the the stay great! A complimentary happy hour and attentive friendly staff made it a great stay. He Renovations in the rooms provided a clean, modern space with great storage!! Thanks Nick and team!!

    2
« Would wait until construction complete »

This is an older property that will be very nice when remodel is complete. Sad to have the happy hour with workmen laying tile 4' away and a cement truck pouring after 5pm. Jackhammer was awful. Room nicely redone except door was about 2" short of floor. Noise and debris issue. Sad the construction was not noted on the website.

    4
    « Newly renovated »

This hotel was recently renovate rooms that are quite nice and comfortable. The hotel lobby and breakfast area is still under construction. The check-in process was very efficient. The breakfast was the standard fare. Dining options for dinner in the area are good.

    5
    « Family reunion »

This is a very nice inn. Near freeway and very easy to the international airport. Currently they are in upgrade mode for some rooms and lobby. Very nice pool and rooms. Bountiful breakfast with attendents whom really care. Evening socal hour with free beer, wine and snacks. Great place to stay in Phoenix.

« Hotel in middle of Noisy, Dusty Remodel. Don't stay here! »

This hotel is in the middle of a major remodel. Saw cutting tiles morning to night seven days a week in guest rooms and in the walkways. Yes, even on Sunday till after 5 pm. Jack hammering out the concrete ramp. Dust everywhere. Constant noise. You should hope no ADA inspectors come for a visit. Breakfast room being remodeled as people eat there. The hotel should have been closed for the remodel. Very poor experience despite being refunded $50 at the end of my four day stay. Constant noise. Housekeeping staff yelling to each other down the hallways. The whacka whacka whacka noise of the housekeeping carts going over the tile seams outside my room. Workers everywhere. Do you like the noise of saw cutting tiles and the clouds of concrete dust? If not, don't stay here. Staff did hose down the walkways, my door and window every day to help get rid of the dust. Breakfast room was in the middle of being remodeled. Limited breakfast choices. Note, I am a repeat guest and never in my wildest dreams expected this. They put money over safety and guest comfort.

    « H4cranch »

The hotel was great. Walls a little to thin as you hear everything going on right outside your window and door and you can hear the people up above you. Then someone's room had a flood at 5 in the morning panic and the hotel seem frantic.

« Good Hotel - Most Likely Even Better Soon »

Good hotel for what it is. Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Great bed (brand new Simmons mattress), fantastic upgrades in the bathroom, great carpet. Overall, I'd say the the interior really surprises how nice it is compared to the outside of the hotel. The lobby is going through what looks like will be an awesome upgrade. Importantly, the room was very clean. I saw some other rooms complaining about the state of the rooms upon check-in. I did not find any issues with the room. Front desk staff was great. We arrived early, and they stashed our bags for the rest of the day while we were out. Once we checked in, it was nice and quick. This isn't a Westin, a Sheraton, etc....but the room I stayed in could easily be mistaken for one. For the BW brand, this hotel will most likely exceed expectations once the renovation is done. Only minor gripe is the AC unit seems to be centrally controlled and not from the room. This may be due to the ongoing construction. But they kept the room nice and cool so this wasn't an actual problem.

    « UNDER CONSTRUCTION »

First the GOOD, they let me in my room early but an hour or so. They took $50.00 off my bill. The BAD, construction all around me, under and both sides. Room was very tired. Needed to be under construction. Water turned off during the day each day. No room refresh either day. Probably thought my room was under construction too. Should have told me when I made the reservation. No place to sit at breakfast either.

    3
    « Mediocre »

Booked this hotel as part of a delta vacation package for my trip to Phx. Hotel was under construction when we arrived, which we were not made aware of. They are transforming the lobby into a disability and wheelchair friendly area as well as renovating rooms. This hotel is very dated but the location is nice and central to the highway and other shops. We were accommodated very nicely by the GM in the changing of our rooms due to construction issues. Overall our stay was alright, honestly I would not book this hotel again personally.

    « Phoenix innsuites »

I thoight innsiites was an odd name. Inn & Suites would make more sense to me. Tje young lady who checked me in I think hee name was Chandricia (probably butchered the spelling) but I think it is close enough for her to recognized as an exemplary employee.obby under renovations no big deal it has to happen. I hope rooms are next. Very dated and mismatched. One tv doesn't work the other is to fuzzy to watch. Glad I have Netflix on my Kindle. I'll have maintenance come by tommorrow and we'll see how it goes. Here for 5 days so I'll update the post with any improvements. Thanks and stay tuned...

    1
« Wait until the Renovation is complete to book this BW »

This hotel is dated, unkept and just plain like a Motel 6. In all fairness, it's undergoing a renovation. However, this property should be closed while work is being completed. worst rating I've ever given a hotel.

    4
« Nice place to stay close to hiking trails »

Would stay here again and recommend it to others. Best western has good prices, places, and locations. this location is also a dog friendly hotel, and the grounds appeared very clean for as many animals that I saw.

    3
« Hotel is slipping-on going renovation is poor »

Have been staying here on and off for about 5 years now for the most part the hotel is clean, quiet and safe that said our last stay was a big disappointment. First check in and housekeeping staff are all very friendly and receptive A+. Our keys (both) on 4 separate occasions stopped working and had to be reprogrammed which was annoying since we were always returning to our room with arm loads of stuff. They stopped working for both sets so it was not like they got demagnetized which sometimes happens. Breakfast staff had women on all days texting constantly. The texting did not concern me however when they do it with the plastic gloves on (the same one they serve the food with) there goes my appetite, so we stuck to cereal. The tall young man in the breakfast was receptive and helpful he was A++.The breakfast area does not flow at all with multiple doors and all of the people jammed up in the front all trying to access all food items in 1 place. Suggestion: decide on pancakes or waffles, and get a restaurant quality toaster that can make toast in under 3-5 minutes. Move the cold items to the rear to allow better movement. For the third year in a row we heard the "pool heater broke down yesterday" story. Funny thing is we were there for two days prior and no one appeared to be working on the pool heater before or during our 7 day stay. In fact we were told by maintenance staff that the hot tub at 85 degrees and pool was at "temperature" he felt the water in both. Really a hot tub should be 100 degrees, and we understand the pool being cool as it is winter, but both were ice cold our entire stay. As to the renovations they seem to be of very poor quality and is a face lift as all fixtures appear to be original (told each room undergoing 7K in renovations). Our tub was permanently stained black on the bottom with drywall texture spray on the tub, tile and floor. The vanity was replaced, however they placed the counter top over the old sink which had a poor fit as it was not the correct size. They "fixed" it by applying massive caulk beads where the sink meets the counter top. Tile around the toilet base is also incomplete. Drywall patching, paint and texture are poor at best and make little effort to hide/match the old from the new. This is by far the most substandard hotel renovation work I have seen in 30 years of over the road travel. The renovation IMHO is not on par for a hotel of this caliber. My understanding is this is supposed to be a showcase hotel near the BW HQ I wonder what other owners and BW staff think? I did check out rates for a spring return trip and at close to $200.00 nightly I will be looking around as the quality of the renovation does not meet the hype. The hotel appears to be slipping.

    3
    « Phoenix »

Hotel staff friendly, otherwise rooms and amenities average, hotel doing renovations so noise of construction a bit bothersome, room smaller than I anticipated, fitness facilities were a disappointment

    3
    « Just a quick stay! »

Place was under massive renovation but it's location was ideal! Easy access to freeways and thoroughfares made accessing any point in the valley relatively easy! Will say the bed was very uncomfortable, but that could be part of the renovations that were underway!

    3
    « Passing through »

One night stay coming home from Disneyland. I had a trip reward card so decided to use it before it expired. Had 2 rooms. One smelled of paint. Other room was okay. Check in was after 10 pm young lady at check in was kind and courteous. Lobby was nonexistent due to construction. Rather than getting one room that I reserved, we got 2 rooms due to the construction. Breakfast was included and it wasn't bad. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffles, good variety. Stay was okay for one night anymore than that, look elsewhere. Area was a bit shady.

    5
« Very Comfortable, With a Tasty Breakfast »

The room was just what we needed--a true suite with a door between two rooms (essential for traveling with a teenager). The complimentary breakfast was generous and the free happy hour was an unexpected benefit. Internet connectivity was simple and speedy.

  • 1
    « Don't Stay Here »

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It was obvious that the hotel was old and many "repairs" done in a slap-dash way. TV did not work. Thermostat did not work. Froze in the room. Bed looked like it had been slept in.

    5
    « 22 Dec 2017 »

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and they are pet friendly. I have found that Best Western provides a great stay and experience, regardless of whether it is business or vacation.

    3
    « Change Not Accepted »

Hotel was clean...remodeling going on (but not a problem at all)..MOST staff was friendly and helpful (just don't try to change rooms...even if medically necessary ... one staff member staff was unwilling to work with us (on phone...in person, she was completely different). Really made our stay frustrating...we were dealing with enough stuff from surgery then having to get little help in changing to a bottom level room made it even more so.(we never did change...we left) Felt she could have been more understanding/helpful given our circumstances. Breakfast was good...free wifi...Happy hour was okay (off brand beer)...noise from Northern Ave made it difficult to sleep until very late when traffic slowed (not fault of Hotel) ...hotel itself is rather nice...clean pool/grounds. Would I advise staying there? Sure (just don't make any room changes!!) will we return? Doubtful.

« Best hotels in Phoenix »

Full breakfast including waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage and gravy. Easy access to frwy. Mostly fast food restaurants near by. Comfortable and plenty of amenities. Comfortable beds and clean. Nice heated pool and spa. Exercise equipment. Room with oversized chair and ottoman and nice desk for business.

    4
    « Under construction »

Hotel is remodeling, so that was kind of a bummer, however, it was still a nice stay. The workers were respectful and did not start too early, the room I was in was very nice, the pool area and outdoor area were great and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you!

    5
    « December stay »

The hotel was clean, asthetically pleasing, and homey. The staff was very friendly and helful. There was construction going on but they didn't bother us and were also very friendly. The eggs were a little overcooked but the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.

    5
    « Family business »

There were some problems because I had some hoops to jump through for my out of state check in. When I finally arrived the general manager helped work them out. The property is going through renovation, so there were issues with noise and such. A pickier guest, or someone with different sleep requirements might have issues, but it didn't bother any of my party. The bedding made the nights rest real nice. The room was a bit dated and fixtures were dreary. The shower was hot and plenty of pressure. All needs and requests were met. The breakfast bar was the best I've had. Overall the stay was just fine. I'd go back.

    4
« nice for the cost. »

no loud noise. clean. grounds WELL kept. family and business oriented. breakfast had nice variety. staff was friendly and attentive. all the channels worked. wifi was consistent and parking was decent.

    2
    « Wouldn't Recommend »

Major problems with both rooms. First room had no heat, maintenance person was not only unable to repair, but left us sitting in the dark. We were told there were no additional rooms, then that we should have gone to the front desk for new room keys. New room had other issues -- smoke detector covered in plastic, bathtub had been repainted, dirty and peeling and should have been replaced. No television remote. Noisy visitors both nights at 3 a.m. We don't usually leave bad reviews, but this was an incredible "adventure," one that we wouldn't wish on anyone else.

    5
« Over night stay for medical appointment »

I needed accommodates that allowed for pets. The hotel also offered a medical rate, which was a nice plus. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. The staff was great and very helpful.

« Nice Presidential Suites for the price! »

Their Presidential suites have awesome tubs, they really are worth the cost, and are MUCH cheaper than any other suite nearby. The hot breakfast is one of the best ones you'll see at any hotel, and the staff will make sure you have what you need!

    5
    « Very good »

Stay was very good. Room was clean. Everyone friendly. The food for breakfast and evening snacks were great. My friend was able to enjoy them. Location was close to John C Lincoln hospital. Would use this hotel again.

    5
    « Amazing Stay »

What a great hotel. Great housekeeping staff and front desk. Everyone was kind and helpful. Caitlin was fantastic and went out of her way to chat with us and make us laugh. What amazing service, especially so early in the morning. She made the check out a breeze and was a fun, radiant young woman. We will be back!!

    5
« The best by far »

I have been traveling on business every day for nearly two months staying in different hotels every night and my experience at this Best Western was the best by far. The staff was incredible and the rooms were so comfortable. The WiFi is very good and the social hour was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this location to anyone!

    4
    « Best service ever »

The hotel is pretty out of the way, so I can't imagine people would stay here unless they need to, but if you do, you're in for a treat. The people who provide service here are incredible! So nice at the front desk, and I loved the fact that they have a free happy hour with beer every day. The rooms are comfortable, about what you'd expect from a place like BW, but the service was very nice. I liked the fact that it was right near a mountain reserve for some nice weekend hiking as well. Not close to anything, but all easily accessible by cab.

    2
    « Noise noise noise »

« Great hotel at the foot of PIestewa Peak »

Just off highway 51 is an unassuming Best Western hotel that was both comfortable and welcoming. Friendly staff, clean room and good amenities? plus, despite being near the highway, it was very quiet. Great value.

    5
    « Very comfortable stay »

Stayed at Inn Suites again, the room, parking, breakfast, and staff were great as usual. As a senior single lady, I feel safe, secure and welcome. The staff is very friendly and I appreciated their smiles and eye contact when we conversed.

    5
    « ALWAYS STAY HERE! »

We never worry about staying here it's always going to be a great experience! The rare occurrence when something does goes wrong the staff immediately makes sure the problem is corrected and that you are completely satisfied!

    5
« Great place to stay »

Great place to stay and excellent service. Location was close to where I needed to be, hotel was easy to access from the highway. Hotel was close to restaurants and shopping. I would recommend this hotel for business travel or families traveling to the area.

« Very nice place to stay »

Only problem is little access problem. Coming from north have to cross traffic to get into reception. Otherwise the motel has a great breakfast, great staff, and nice rooms. Parking is also good for most rooms.

great rooms and customer service for the budget conscience. Evening social hour was a nice touch. Well maintained pool and updated rooms added value. Suite rooms were well appointed for price, excellent beds. Near busy roads, but rooms were quiet.

    « Excellent Value Hotel »

The employees at this hotel are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. The breakfast is excellent and they have a free happy hour with beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks. The WiFi worked perfectly in our room.

    « Poor Housekeeping »

Although the breakfast and registration staff were amazing the housekeeping staff is another story. I constantly had to request that everyday items be replaced such as toilet paper, plastic cups, towels and coffee. The room was not cleaned daily and the bed seemed to be made up each day by just throwing the covers up. Very unfortunate since my previous stay had been a much different experience.

« Great Location to Airport, nice neighborhood »

Good location between Sky Harbor & Scottsdale. Nice neighborhood to walk around a little before dinner. Minor repairs were being done when we were there so the hotel did not have it's best foot forward. But repairs were kept to a minimum around guests. Good breakfast. Fast check out. Would stay again if we are in the area.

« Great location, great staff »

I stayed for the weekend and enjoyed my time. A little bit of construction noise, but the staff was extremely helpful to remedy the situation. The happy hour and free breakfast will keep me coming back!

« Staff in all areas extremely friendly! »

Very clean rooms, coveniently located and the friendliest staff! Really good continental breakfast and great social hour. Very comfortable beds! We had an extremely early check out and they gave us a "to go" breakfast bag... will highly reccomend!

    « friendly staff »

smiling faces and friendly staff makes a positive statement the moment you walk in the door. The one complaint is I was unable to connect to the internet in the room. I had to walk down the building to get a connection.

« The Camel Back Suite »

Arrived Friday night in Phoenix for a Saturday seminar. The layout of rooms is a bit strange at first, but the young lady at the desk provided a map with impeccable directions, which was good because I'm a guy and you know how were are with asking for directions. We had a pet-friendly room, and it worked great for our needs. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, and the staff did a fantastic job of juggling everyone with their questions & requests. The family-style seating threw us at first, but it turned out to be a real treat. We met some really nice folks, learned about them, and left better than when we had arrived.

    « Surprise social hour »

We were in between houses and booked this hotel at the last minute, getting a very good "last minute" deal. We checked in around 5:00 p.m. and found a "social hour" going on in the dining room. Free beer from a local microbrewery, wine, chips, salsa, pretzels and popcorn in front of the big screen TV. The room was clean and spacious and came with a microwave and refrigerator. There are no restaurants on the property, but there are plenty of good ones in the area on 16th Street. In the morning, they had a breakfast buffet complete with eggs, waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereals, yogurt, juices, coffees and teas. The area affords beautiful views of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, just not from our room.

    « Good Location; A Little Noisey »

My room was a suite (266) and was above average for a Best Western motel. The only complaint I have is that the noise from the adjacent roadway (Northern Avenue) is very loud starting at about 5 am. I suggest NOT getting room 266 unless they offer you a discount and you don't have a problem with waking up at 5 am. Other suites probably are not as bad as this one was. Pool and Hot Tub are in great shape; nice breakfast.

« Arizona stay at Best Western InnSuites Phoenix AZ »

Our trip to Arizona for 6 nights was a good experience. The motel is undergoing some major changes in the renovation of rooms, pool and spa repair, along with appearance changes to the outside of the facility, which gives a very nice street appeal. All the staff is very courteous and professional. We have stayed at there many times and will certainly stay there again when in Phoenix.

    « Outstanding value »

We stayed here for 3 nights. The suite room was excellent, roomy, clean, great ammenities, and the complimentary breakfasts were very good. The rooms were cleaned and beds made each day. All staff was very friendly.

We stayed here many times years ago and loved it. We finally came back and they're even better! Staff is still amazing! Katelyn at the front is awesome every year! « Amazing Hotel, Even Better Staff »

I would reccomend this hotel to anybody! This was my first stay in this location, but not my first stay with Best Western. The young lady that checked me in was so helpful and kind, offered restaurant recommendations, and even offered to print directions. She called the room when we actually got checked in to ask if everything was okay, which was very ncie and hospitable. Thank you Kayla! We will be back!!!

    « Excellent stay »

This is a great hotel to stay at. Safe area. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and beds are comfortable. I have stayed here quite a few times sometimes several days at a time when traveling on business. I do suggest you make reservations because they do sell out often. Parking is easy and feels safe with my work truck. I can rest at night knowing it is a good area of Phoenix.

    1
    « Sad but true. »

Dirty floor, exposed wires, broken tub jets, standing water in shower and pool was broken. We had high expections upon making reservation, pix on sight looked nice! Very nice girl at the desk immediately informed us pool was broken. It went down hill from there.

« wish I'd have known about the construction »

This would have been a nice stay if it wasn't for the construction going on during our visit. We were looking forward to the pool and the hot tub but found out too late that they were going to be closed during our stay. They also re-pave the parking lot in front of our side of the hotel during that time.

« AC turned off at night »

The staff was very nice, in person and on the phone. We arrived late at night and only spent a night here before our departure. The room is a bit small. No elevator. The AC was turned off at night for some reason and we were sweating. AC was a bit noisy too. Location is fine. Not too far from the airport.

« Outstanding Hotel and Staff »

The staff at this hotel is so wonderful in every way. Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated as well as very spacious. Beds and pillows are fabulous. Breakfast is just the best. Love the new yogurt machine with all the fixings. Hot breakfast with EVERYTHING! The location gives access to any direction you want to go for shopping, dining, hiking (walking distance) and sight seeing. There is even a daily free happy hour. Free internet. They have it all. We have been staying at this hotel in Phoenix for years and it just keeps getting better!

    « Great Value »

This Besst Western suited our needs well on our short stay in Phoenix. The location was important for us in relation to airport and activities in Glendale and Scottsdale, AZ. The staff and rooms were great and the breakfast outstanding.

« Great place to stay »

This Best Western Hotel is in a great location. The grounds are well cared for, the pool and hot tub are very nice. The happy hour is a treat and the breakfast has a wide variety of good food. And don't forget to pick up a newspaper at the front desk.

    4
« Good location for our purposes »

Nice hotel, however, not like the typical smaller town BW you would find in Prescott, Moab, etc. The only thing I noticed out of sorts was a slightly dirty (bottom side) toilet seat. Overall, we will definitely consider staying here again. Good bang for the buck.

« great people, memorable stay »

Everybody from general manager , Mila the sales director to all the housekeepers and front desk staff were great, This is a wonderful place to be whether you are on vacation or business trip. It is very clean, pool is neat and towels are always there if you need them.

« We Will Be Back »

Comfortable room, ample breakfast, nice "happy hour". I especially enjoyed the popcorn. (Pepsi would have made it perfect.) Some staff tried to help my son-in-law get into his car after he locked his keys in the trunk! We will definitely stay here when we come back to visit our granddaughter.

« Nice Clean Room with large bed »

« Not as good as the reviews »

I stayed at this motel last Spring, woke up in the morning with bug bites all over. I did a review which included photos of the gross mattress, including tears and yellow stains. I also pointed out that there were about 20 mattresses in the parking lot being thrown out.I had stayed at this motel many times in the past. HOWEVER, my review never saw the light of day. I checked again today and it's not there. How can I trust TripAdvisor for my future searches if they won't print all the negative reviews??

    3
« Phoenix hotel and suites »

Very noisy walls extremely thin and rooms on corners are laid out very strangely and any one who passes by you can hear every step and conversation (even the yelling). We normally enjoy staying at Best Western but will defiantly pass on this location.

    3
    « Nice Location, However? »

Whenever I do a review for Trip Advisor, I attempt to accentuate the positive about the place I'm reviewing. After all, there's enough negativity in the world these days. In the case of the Best Western InnSuites Phoenix, that's going to be a bit of a challenge. So I'll get the challenging part of this review out of the way first. The BW InnSuites Phoenix has fantastic location, just west of the AZ-51 freeway off Northern Avenue. The views of the foothills to the north are very nice, if you can get a northern facing room. And the rooms themselves are quite nice: many of them are two room suites, one for sitting/entertaining friends, the other is the bedroom. I found my two room suite to be well furnished. And in those two room suites, you have a television in each room. The complimentary breakfast every morning is well stocked with a variety of hot and cold items, and the BW InnSuites Phoenix also features a social hour daily from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, featuring free wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks (chips & salsa, popcorn and pretzels.) Finally, the staff is quite friendly and helpful. With the good points addressed, it's now time to delve into some of the problem areas with this hotel. I found out when I checked in that this hotel is undergoing some renovations. The most significant of these is to the plumbing system, and I don't know how long these renovations will take until complete. This manifests itself with the water being turned off in the particular building being worked on between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. (The hotel complex is made up of three buildings featuring the rooms, surrounding a pool deck.) That time frame for water shut off is done to correspond with the time guests will be out of their rooms on business or sight-seeing. If, however, you aren't planning a day out, during this time you won't be able to get a glass of tap water, wash your hands, take a shower or use the toilet. Part of my morning routine is to watch a particular business channel on cable I'm rather fond of. Not many hotels carry this channel on their array of cable networks, so I was quite pleased when I checked in and found the BW InnSuites Phoenix did carry it. But I discovered after settling into my room that while the television in the bedroom got this channel, the television in the sitting room gave me an error message when I tried to tune it in: it read ?Weak or No Signal, check the antenna cable connection.? When I enquired about this at the front desk, I was told this was another facet of the renovations taking place, but they would ask maintenance to investigate. Whatever maintenance did, it didn't work: the following morning, neither television got my business channel. And a quick channel surfing expedition revealed my favorite business channel was not the only one affected with this error message. Still, I'm guessing not many people come to Phoenix on vacation or business simply to spend time in their room watching TV, so this might not put you off. The final issue to bring to light is wake-up calls. Let me advise you up front that if you plan to stay at the BW InnSuites Phoenix, you would be well advised to bring your own alarm clock. Both nights I stayed, I requested a wake-up call at 5:00 AM, and both mornings, the call did not come. As a result, both mornings I ended up starting my day 45 minutes later than I'd intended. If you're on a tight schedule, don't rely on the hotel's wake-up call system to help you start your day. On balance, while this hotel is well located and offers many amenities travelers will appreciate, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place until the renovations are completed. And hopefully, part of those renovations will involve a repair to the wake-up call system.

    « Solo trip »

This hotel was okay. Too far from food, activities and attractions. Comfortable and clean, pool was nice. I'd recommend a short stay as you have to drive to.....Everything. Very quiet. I wish I could say more but after a week stay.....Nothing great comes to mind.

    « Enjoyable & Convenient »

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and quiet. Those are the important things. We had room 149 which is at the back and at an end so it was nice and quiet. Parking was easy so I could run out to the car easily when we needed anything. We did laundry while we were there. It's very convenient to put clothes in the washer, go have breakfast, put the clothes in the dryer and have a swim then get on with the day. That's exactly what we did. The laundry is in the small building attached to the pool so it's very convenient. The breakfast was good with a variety of choices from eggs and sausage to cereals and waffles. The last day of our stay there was no orange juice and it took awhile to refill the sausages. Some people were loading up several plates and taking them out though so that may have been part of the problem. The TV had a little problem too. Sometimes when changing the channel, it would just start showing a message that the channel wasn't available when it was something we had just watched. We also didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign to hang on the door so a couple of times the maid came to our room when we were not ready. That was in no way her fault, there should have been a sign for the door. During our last full day of our stay we left at about noon and returned at about 7:00. After a long day in the city, our room key wouldn't work so we had to go to the front desk to get that fixed. As soon as we entered our room I could hear running water. Our bathtub water was on full blast and the water was about an inch from the top of the tub. We turned the water off immediately and called the front desk. I explained what happened and told them that there was a dirty ring at the top of the water level. She told me someone would be over to clean it. An hour later a staff member arrived to clean it. The bathmat that had been over the rim of the tub was soaking wet, there were no washcloths and no soaps or shampoo. I'm not sure what happened, but this is very unusual in my experience with Best Westerns. Hopefully because I spoke to the front desk staff about this twice it won't happen again.

« Enjoyed my stay at this property »

I recently stayed one night at this property to be in Phoenix for my brother-in-law's surgery. I had a king non-smoking studio with a microwave and frig. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was courteous. With my AAA Discount, the rate was very good. I would recommend and I would consider staying at this hotel the next time I am in the Phoenix area.

« Older property that is trying harder »

My friend and I found this BW online on our way back to Phoenix, where we wanted to stay somewhat north of the city. Of all the BWs I've stayed at over the years, this is an older facility. The room was very clean, but the tiling in the bathroom was showing its wear. The thermostat for the air conditioner, though it looked new, did not seem to be functioning well--sometimes the room was too cold, at other times too stuffy. Shortly before I arrived, a transformer had blown out, and the front desk did not have a functioning computer. I have to praise the staffer at the front desk, Caesare (sp?), who couldn't have been nicer, as well as totally calm and helpful. She was professional all the way. Various notes from the manager in the room and elsewhere indicated that improvements are being made. I can't complain about the rate, which was very reasonable.

    « BW InnSuites Phoenix »

Very nice hotel with everything we needed. Close to activities but far enough from downtown to avoid getting caught in any congestion. Staff was friendly, efficient, and well informed of their surrounding area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect for filling your stomach and hitting the road. Plenty of variety from which to choose. If you're inclined, there is a social hour in the evening, an exercise room and a clean pool and spa for your enjoyment.

    3
    « It was okay »

The hotel was very loud. The walls are so thin we could hear the tv in the next room and thought our tv was on without a picture. The first night I stayed in a room next to the fitness room and people kept slamming the door to the fitness room at all hours. You should not be able to enter after 9 or so at night if someone is in the room next to it. Not only were people slamming the door but they were also very loud in the room. I moved to a different room the following two nights and the shower was terrible bc the faucet pull wouldn't pull all the way up for the shower to go on all the way. The toilet overflowed the next morning for no apparent reason that we caused. The staff was very quick to clean up but the guy who came in to plunge walked in the puddle without shoe covers then walked across our carpet. Gross! Also, the ac in both rooms blows so hard on the bed next to the ac and you can't move the vents to blow a different direction. Therefore the person sleeping on the bed closest to the ac freezes but if you put the air up so it doesn't blow then everyone is hot. Breakfast was okay...except it was gross how the handle of the spoon that everyone was touching to get the fruit was in the fruit and all the apples that were nicely wrapped that we took from the basket were bruised or bad. Coffee, juices, oatmeal and waffles were great. Service was great at the hotel. Unfortunately you seem to draw a rough and rather rude crowd who were very loud late at night and others who left dog mess for others to clean up. So these things paired with the in room issues made me not want to stay there again. Your employees however were great!

    « Nice, average hotel. »

The hotel is average for this price range. We originally booked a king executive suite. Very small rooms and the bed was a queen, not a king. Very noisy as it was on the main thoroughfare side of the hotel. Room decor was dated and the sofa bed mattress our daughter slept on was the thinnest mattress we had ever seen on a hotel sofa bed. The next morning our request for a different room was handled very efficiently by the front desk and we were assured it was no problem for them to do so. Within 2 hours we received a call that our new room was ready. As there were no other suites available, we were given a double queen room in the building that had recently undergone renovation. Nice room and actually larger than the suite. Breakfast was also average for this type of hotel. The waffles were hot and delicious. The only food that was hot. The eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, and potatoes were only lukewarm each morning. The attendant in the breakfast room did provided excellent service.

    « Amazing Customer Service!!! »

I traveled to Phoenix with my family a few weeks back to attend a funeral service for a close family member. Although the grounds for visiting were not pleasant, our stay was remarkable and everyone went above and beyond to accommodate myself and my young children. We felt right at home. Specifically, Sam and Katlyn at the front desk truly made our stay a memorable one. Katlyn was friendly and full of recommendations for restaurants and things for our family to do while in town. She even got us into the Children's Museum downtown for free, which made my kid's day! I wish I could rate this hotel a 6 out of 5 stars!!!!

    « Temporary home for a week »

I recently had a flood in the house and had to move out for an abatement. I chose to stay at the Best Western Inn Suites as it was close to home and not far from work. I was booked in a two room suite with a microwave and fridge. The first suite was on the northwest corner of the property on the second floor. I asked to be moved as this room would have traffic noise from both 16th street and Northern ( both heavily traveled streets). There was no problem switching even though the hotel was almost fully booked. The second room was very good although a bit noisy on the weekends as it was right next to the laundry room (room 127). The complimentary breakfast was more than I expected. They offered fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, bagels, toast, coffee tea and juice. Quite a spread! The Wi-fi was good and easily connected to. The workout room was adequate and clean. There was a pool and jacuzzi easily accessible and clean. All in all, it was a nice stay and I would go there again.

    4
« Nice place for a get away »

The hotel staff were all extremely nice. The room was exactly as expected with Best Western. The pool needed a good cleaning but the pool area was nice. The breakfast was good and the staff kept things fresh and filled throughout. The hotel good use an update but it looked like they were in the process of doing that now. We had a great time at our staycation!

« Old on the outside, excellent on the inside! »

Our room was on the second floor and there are no elevators, so ask for a ground floor room if you have a lot of luggage like we did. As you move around the property, you are underwhelmed but the room was awesome! We had a suite with a separate room for the kids and they had their own TV and full bath. Plenty of space in both rooms for luggage, places to sit including desks and living sets. Everything was very clean and beautiful. We slept well. The bar/lounge area looked nice but the offerings were a little disappointing. The gym was clean with all modern equipment.

The hotel is easy to get to off the freeway. During rush hour it is hard to get into the parking lot. To get into the main lobby the railings are really as there is no shade on the metal railings. The trash cans need to have trash bages in them.

« Phx hotel - A MUST Stay when in the area »

As a business traveler there are a few things I look for and that is the room to be clean & comfortable. This property has that and more. The changes to the breakfast has been awesome. Something for everyone - healthy. Other reasons I like this property - outlets are available for all my electronic needs. The staff - whether maintenance, front desk or breakfast staff - all actually want to help where needed. Kudo's to management and staff that make the business appear seamless.

    « EXCELLENT STY »

« Best Western Quality and Consistency »

This was our second stay at this property. Location is great - close to the 51, Phoenix Mountain Preserve, Biltmore area, and 7th St./Central Ave bistros and shops. (Also needed to visit family in NW Phoenix). Quality and Consistency stars for friendly staff, cleanliness, sparkling pool, fresh linens, lots of towels, and good coffee. The pool area ran out of towels in the evening and they were immediately refreshed when we asked at the office. Everything works - a/c, lights, remote, etc. and pool shuts down at 10pm for a good night's sleep. Slightly older property but a great value for a great price.

« Best customer service experience! »

Thank you Best Western in Phoenix! My family booked rooms there last weekend and it was a last minute trip to visit family that we don't really get the opportunity to visit with because they are service men in the US ARMY so it was a really special trip for us. Caesarea was the woman at the front desk when I checked in. She was very helpful and friendly, as it was really late and she took the time to actually talk to me and give me the ins and outs of the hotel, she mentioned the complimentary breakfast and the free socia hour. I asked her for any reccommendations as far as activities to do with kids and she was very helpful to me! She showed me all the brochures from the wall and went through which ones were worth doing. Long story short, we all stayed there the whole weekend and the rooms were clean, presentable, and cozy and it was a great stay at an affordable price and not to mention, the breakfast was good too. We will definetly stay again if we are ever in that area in the future. The only downside of our stay was that there was only decaf coffee in our room lol. Thank you for a great comfortable weekend. :) and thank you again Caesarea, give that girl a raise!

    « Graduation »

My family and friends flew in for my daughters graduation. We stayed 10 nights. Two reasons I'm not giving a 5. The first is I'm not sure it was totally the hotels fault but I reserved a handicapped accessible room but when we got there they said it was pet friendly and they had no handicapped rooms available. This was a major disappointment. Traveling with a handicapped person is stressful as it it. The second which I know they were working on was the tv was not working well. They didn't have a lot of the stations like CBS. The room was fine for an able bodied family. Microwave, iron, hair dryer and fridge. Bathroom was small. They have computers in the lobby. There was a workout room but it was minimal. All rooms have outside entry, no interior halls. Breakfast every morning- waffles, eggs, yogurt, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, oatmeal. They also have free beer and wine happy hour every day. They have pretzels, popcorn and chips and salsa as well. It is very close to the 51, easy off and on. Staff was very friendly.

    « Why Best Western? »

As in previous experiences with Best Western, this was a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Starting with a very helpful check-in experience, we retired to find a well-appointed room and a most comfortable bed. Our room as clean, it smelled fresh, and had plenty of amenities. Air conditioning made the room comfortable in spite of the unusually warm weather during our stay. The coffee at breakfast was unusually good, though we aren't big on breakfast. Best Western will certainly be our first choice on our next trip.

We did like the room with window next to ice machine! People used all night until midnight & made lots of noise could not sleep! Move ice machine away from rooms! Breakfast was great, location was great!

« Comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay »

The customer service at this hotel is outstanding. I stay at this hotel several times a year. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and many have been recently updated . The Wi-Fi works great. Whenever I have had an issue with something, usually the TV, a call to the front desk gets the problem taken care of quickly. The staff at this hotel is friendly, professional, and truly want to make your stay comfortable.

My wife and I only stayed one night at Best Western InnSuites Phoenix Hotel & Suites but it was great. Not too far from the airport but far enough away not to hear the planes all night. Staff was great, bed was comfortable. We will go back someday.

« Incredible Staff and Location - Pleasant Surprise »

I stayed here for business and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was so friendly and helpful! The woman at check-in was great to chat with and helped me get oriented. She found a nice quiet room for me on the 2nd floor facing south (the back) away from the pool and eating area - I was most appreciative. The room was a bit old, but nice a spacious, and quiet! The breakfast was absolutely superb! Very friendly staff and lots to choose from. I will warn you that it gets very very busy the later you go so go early!! There was a happy hour as well with beer and wine and chips/popcorn/etc in the breakfast area which was nice as well. All in all a very good stay for a couple nights.

« great staff and location »

This Best Western was very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was good. We had a problem with our telephone and it was quickly fixed. Although the pool was closed for maintenance, the friendly staff gave me extra reward points to compensate. I will definitely return here.

    « Nice for a stopover »

I needed to stay one night while traveling. I found this hotel along the way, and read the reviews. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice, and it was clean. The pool was closed the evening I arrived due to maintenance, so I can't comment on it. I was disappointed because I really wanted to utilize it, but not a big deal. Breakfast was the standard waffles, eggs, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. The air conditioner was really loud when it kicked in, one of those under the window along the wall units. Not horrible, just louder than I would have liked. The hotel is situated against the hills, in a very pretty part of the valley. My room faced the hills, with lots of trees, so my view was nice. I would stay again to break up a long trip, but probably wouldn't stay for more than one night.

    « Great location »

I love trail running, and nearby this hotel are miles and miles of beautiful trails. There's also a lot of nice streets if you prefer running roads. Forget some gear? Stop by the Runners Den, which is about as good as running stores get. The pool and pool area look beautiful with outdoor grills you can use, and all the surroundings look very nice. Even though it's right off the main road, it feels a little secluded.

« Great Place to Stay, except for the Jacuzzi, Super Soft Bed »

The two room suite (including two bathrooms), friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast were all plusses, and a much better deal than the mega resort next door where we were attending a conference! That said, bed was too soft to suit me, and the Jacuzzi was clean on the outside, but when we cleaned it twice before using, by running cascade and bleach solution through it (the recommended procedure), the amount of black crud coming from the tub jets was disgusting, even on the second rinse!! We opted to not use the tub, as we had two regular tubs to use. In short, I'd stay there again, but wouldn't use the Jacuzzi!

    5
    « Surprised in a good way »

From the outside and guestroom appearance, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, comfortable bed, extra amenities? We couldn't believe what a nice stay we had, and for such a low price as well! We will come back here again.

    « Honestly impressed »

I was honestly impressed with the quality of this hotel. I didn't bother to check the reviews until I booked and so many of them were negative that I started to get really worried that I'd booked something awful. The hotel was awesome, though. The room was very clean and orderly, and I felt very safe the entire time I stayed here. Nothing was dirty and all the plumbing worked great. I will DEFINITELY stay here next time I go to Phoenix. It was a great choice, and a steal for the price.

This hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant. I loved the fact it was close access to anywhere you want to go. My granddaughter enjoyed the pool. Close to all amenities. Our room was restocked with clean towels daily. In the evening it was very quite which is always nice as you are trying to go to sleep.

    « Still Reliable »

We always stay here when visiting family as it is the closest hotel. However, besides being convenient to SR 51, we have always found it clean. We like the convenience of the sink being separate from the shower/toilet area. The breakfast is okay, typical of this type of hotel.

This hotel is in an area close to a freeway but away enough that the noise is not a problem. The infrastructure is very nice and the employees friendly and helpful. The amenities are great and you get this all for a very good price. When I am in Phoenix, this will be my spot to stay!

    « Stolen items! »

My fiance and I stayed here for a week. The entire week was running perfe fly smooth and the staff was always friendly. This was until the day I checked out... I forgot my make up bag and a few items in the room, immediately called when I realized and was on hold for 45 minutes. They were "searching". I told them the exact room, time of checkout, everything! Never heard anything. I also sent an email later again with the description of the items, which was in total atleast $250.00 all brand new stuff! No one even bothered to respond to my email. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't want stuff stolen, or atleast be sure never leave anything behind because you won't see it again!

    « Spring Training Stay »

We booked this hotel on line. We were not familiar with the area at all but knew we would be driving to Surprise for two games. It is conviently located to the freeway and was easy on and off. No charge for parking. Breakfast was good every morning although it was the same stuff each day. Happy hour was chips and popcorn with wine and beer. Kids at the pool got loud a couple nights but was promptly cleared out around 10pm. I recommend a room away from the pool if you retire early. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the rate was very affordable.

« Not the BEST Western »

I am hesitant to write this review because I usually only write positive reviews. I checked in and went to my room. The room smells bad and has dirty carpeting and is very dated. There is a black substance around the bathtub and the tv didn't work. I couldn't stay in that room so I went to the front desk and I was told that they have newer remodeled rooms but he didn't know which ones they were. I left for a meeting and when I came back I was given a room that was supposedly newly remodeled. If five or ten years is recent, then yes, it's a newly remodeled room. There was no black stuff around the tub but the carpet, even though it's brown, looked filthy and the room smelled bad. The door had three locks on it but ironically the window had no screen so if the window was open someone could just step right in to the room. I was asked by a Best Western representative why I didn't ask the front desk for a screen for the window and I said why don't you people walk around and check their rooms? At 9:00PM I was called by a man that introduced himself as the on-duty manager. He needed the credit card number of the person paying for the room because something happened with their computer and they didn't have the credit card number. There was a bit of conversation but I refused to give the phone number of the one who was financially responsible. I yelled at the guy and hung up. He called back and once again, I yelled at him and hung up. He didn't call back until 3:00AM. I couldn't believe it. It was beginning to feel like the twilight zone. I jumped up threw on my clothes grabbed my bag and got the hell out of there. It was good. I got up real early and began my drive to LA and didn't feel tired. I called the hotel and told them that one of their workers was calling me at inappropriate times of the day. She informed me that someone was scamming hotel guests. I said well then don't put those people through to guest room phones and was told they had to. I spoked with two or three people at the hotel to express my disappointment in the entire experience. I didn't get much empathy. Then I called corporate headquarters and had a much more sympathetic ear. I was told someone will get back to me right away. Maybe next week? I met one of the housekeepers in the hall and she was very nice.

« Great Place to Stay »

I think this hotel deserves a 5/5 for a Best Western. My family (4 of us, 2 teenage sons) stayed the last week of March. The hotel was super easy to get to from the airport. When we travelled to the various places like sporting events in Glendale or downtown, again super easy to get to. We had a room facing Northern Ave, and no, you cannot hear the traffic from your room. There is lots of parking at the hotel. The maid service does a fabulous job. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Need another towel? Just ask. The computers in the lobby work great. The wifi in the room works well, as long as you are not gaming on your device. (Some glitches there, but that is pretty minor). My boys loved the exercise room and I enjoyed the warmth of the pool. There is a place to hangout and cook on a BBQ, if you choose. My boys loved the free breakfast and I loved the fact that breakfast was off my spending list. Again great staff first thing in the morning assisting with breakfast. My husband enjoyed the social hour. All in all, it was a great time. There is nothing more we could have asked for. Thanks again.

« Great hotel, old but seems new »

The service at this hotel was good. The breakfast was delish! There was a big pool, exercise room, easy access to this hotel. Restaurants, shopping close by, it was family-oriented. The décor was warm and welcoming.

    « Needs an overhaul »

They need to replace the mattresses and fix the plumbing! Our mattress was so squashed it should be hauled directly to the dump . Our toilet did not flush and I went to use the toilet off the lobby. Unfortunately, the women's bathroom was off limits due to the toilet flooding and there was no one to attend to it.

    « Clean and friendly »

Having arrived after a 4 hour drive from vegas, we were unsure of location as never been to Phoenix. There are shops and restaurants but your need to drive, mountain walks about 10 mins away, we were welcomed with a friendly, helpful quick check in. We were informed about the breakfast & social hour but also to be mindful of possible telephone scams. Room was jr suite 136, bedroom smaller than expected however you do have a separate seating area, bedding clean and comfy, towels were white and fluffy, maid service was great. Good size fridge and microwave if needed. Pool area was clean and pool heated, only small so could get really busy. Breakfast has a selection of cereals, toast, pastries, make own waffles, egg, sausage, hash pots, biscuit / gravy, fruit , yogurt etc. It is not meant to be a la carte but if your hungry there will be something for you to eat. Social time 5 til 6.30 free beer, wine, soft drinks, chip & dip, pop corn, again don't expect full bar service however a nice little touch. They are improving this hotel so some maintenance about but we was not effected and no noise. I have to mention all the staff as everyone we came across was polite, happy and helpful. Tim on the front desk was really helpful when we needed a late checkout. So thank you. If you need a couple of nights as a base in a clean hotel then I would recommend this hotel, don't expect 5* and your have a nice stay.

« Room ok; Skip the breakfast »

Room was comfortable, especially once we got more pillows and towels, and a good price for two of us. The employees were all friendly and helpful - easily the best thing about the place. I'm not saying the place was bad either. I'm saying the employees were great. The closet isn't deep enough - you can't close the door because the hangers they provide are too wide. The included breakfast isn't worth the trouble - egg beaters (or similar with that icky texture), juice from the dispenser tasted off. I didn't try a waffle because I didn't want to stand next to a hot appliance & wait for it.

« Thankful to leave with my health »

The beds were very firm and caused some sleep difficulties. The room appeared clean at first glance but when I got down on the floor to look for a dropped item, I found that the carpet under the dust ruffle and around the nightstand was dirty. The shelf holding the refrigerator had so much dust on it that I could have written in it. Housekeeping did the minimum amount of work needed in our room. The breakfast had the same food choices each day: hash browns, biscuits and sausage gravy, sausages, pre-made scrabbled eggs and waffles you could make yourself. There were also 3 kinds of cold cereal, 2 kinds of bread, fruit and yogurt. Hot food was not available even in the first hour of service. All of the heated food was between warm and room temperature. The juice often was tepid.

« People make the difference »

Located in a nice area, the exterior looked very nice with ample parking, but when we checked in our first reaction was negative. Ten people trying to check in with one employee behind the desk. We were impressed how the desk clerk Tim handle each person in the crowd, reassuring them that he would find them a room. Tim tried to contact the housekeeping manager to find out if the rooms were ready without success. People applauded the way Tim handled this overwhelming task. Our room by request was on the second floor, it was large and including the bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, very clean. Our king size bed was very comfortable. The under window air conditioner however was noisy but kept the room comfortable. The room had a nice safety feature, instead of the usual door viewer, it had a 2 way intercom. The social hour from 1700 - 1830 was very well done. Tim found us during the social hour to ask if our room was OK, and apologized for our inconvenience. This courtesy and professionalism is rarely found today. The full breakfast was great, eggs, sausage, good tasting coffee, etc. I notice some BW hotel managers read & respond to the Trip Advisor reviews, not seeing any from Calvin Quick the general manager, I was not surprised not to have received a reply to my email to him about the front desk problems & outstanding performance of Tim.

    « Most enjoyable stay »

We went down to Phoenix for a quick getaway in the sunshine, and it turned out to be fantastic. The suite we were in was well suited to us, clean and quiet. The staff were all great - very friendly and helpful (we booked in at midnight). We had a noisy air vent, but it was fixed about an hour after we reported it. The pool itself does need a good clean, but that did not deter us from spending a lot of time in and around it. We will definitely visit the Best Western Innsuites again. Thanks for a great weekend.

« Very clean, nice rooms for the price »

I stayed here for one night for a wedding anniversary that was at a hall across the street. The rooms were very nice for the price. It was very clean and the front desk was very nice. Not much that close to it to walk to, at least the little I walked around. Definitely need a car, but I was there for just one night. Would recommend.

    « Family vacation »

Overall the hotel was good. It included a morning breakfast and a social hour with beer/wine and snacks. The pool was average. During our stay there was too much ?chlorine in the water and bleached our swimsuits and irritated our skin. When we complained about the issue they came and checked the levels and said the pool was fine. (i would have to disagree as there had to be too much of something to bleach the swimsuits) Needless to say we did not go in after that! The hotel for the most part was clean but my husband found cigarettes under the bed and a pair of dirty socks behind the dresser. Also, the TV was out one day as they updates the cable and then fuzzy for the remainder of our stay. The location was central to everything but really lacked any restaurants in the area. The closest restaurant was 1 mile away and there were not really any good eating options in walking distance. They had a BBQ and patio tables for use. Overall, if it was not for the pool and the lack of deep cleaning I would have given it a higher review.

    2
« Great staff; dirty and a lot wrong in the room »

We normally stay at Best Western and were in town for the Nascar race so we were willing to pay a little more to stay at a chain we trusted. The tub spigot was loose; the ceiling was cracked above the tub; shower only put out half the water (the rest came out the tub spigot); the tub drain backed up; there was a dental floss pick under the bed and a hair ball in the corner of the bathroom. The fridge froze everything and the AC until was either too cold, or off.

    « Very Disappointing »

I chose this hotel as a step up from a discount chain. Mistake, as the discount chain provided a better experience. The pros: buffet breakfast and an afternoon happy hour with complimentary beer and wine. However, there are not enough tables and chairs in the small room, which was monopolized by one large group. The A/C worked well. Cons: Bed very uncomfortable, mattress saggy on the edges, stains on the sheet, bed skirt ripped with broken safety pin sticking out. Sink has hot and cold faucets reversed. Was getting a glass of cold water and letting water run to get cold. Put my hand under the tap and almost burnt myself. Is it so difficult to have hot on the left and cold on the right? Apparently. No tv reception on second day here. Loud banging on my door at 6:45 pm by three technicians who were here to "switch out the box". They put their tools on my bed while they worked. When they finished, the picture was all staticky, which they said would be fixed the following day. When I first arrived there was a pungent perfumed chemical scent in the room from a cleaning product. I found it nauseating and it gave me a headache. I asked them not to clean for the duration of my 3 day stay and it took 2 days with the window open for the smell to dissipate. Also, nothing within walking distance of this location. All in all, I am very disappointed in Best Western.

...but I just didn't like the location... The check-in was smooth and quick. The room was a little dated but very comfortable and spacious. The housekeeping was good (invisible, because I never saw them) the room eas always clean when I arrived. The social hour was nice with the complimentary snacks and soda/beer/wine. This was a great value. I did not have the opportunity to sample the breakfast. A busy intersection and did not feel safe with my vehicle being in the parking lot.

People were friendly. Service was timely. Your staff is great. Grounds around the pool were nice (gotta watch those cacti though) and impressive. Plenty of parking. Breakfast. While my home was being fumigated, I stayed in your hotel. It's been many years since I stayed in a hotel. Your hotel is among the best by comparison. My friends came to visit. They were impressed by the hotel grounds and room. Which also made me happy. My hotel stay was part business but mostly pleasure. Bottom line, I rate your Scottsdale hotel a 10 out of 10.

    « Clean and cozy »

When looking for a hotel I expect it to be clean and the staff to be friendly. This place had both. The office workers were so friendly and wanted to make sure we had a nice view if it was available (not a priority for us). Appears to be recently updated too. Grills are available by the pool with plenty of outdoor seating. Decent breakfast. Would stay here again!

    « Needs Work »

Noisy neighbors, extremely thin walls, daylight leaked around the door. Noisy, ice-cold A/C but room was stuffy when A/C cycled off. When it came on, a stale, moldy smell permeated the room for a few minutes. The tub dripped constantly. Free daily breakfast but sub-par quality (warm juice, bitter coffee). Decor was fine but room was cramped. No hand towel holder by the bathroom sink, though nice quality amenities provided (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion).

« You Get What You Pay For »

Relatively inexpensive room, $80-$100 depending. Rooms are nicer than the exterior but plumbing and temp. controls need work. Noisy, hot/cold, hot/cold, hot/cold all night long. Haven't bothered with the social hour. Breakfast is worth what it costs. There is a proximity factor to my continued visits to the property so I'll stick with it. When other properties in the area go to $80-$100 like the Camelback Marriott I stay there. But at some times of year they go to $300+!!!!!!!

« Free breakfast and Social Hour are a nice touch »

Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend on vacation. The room was clean, the A/C worked well and the bed was comfortable. The free social Hour included a few choices of alcoholic drinks and soda along with chips & salsa, pretzels and popcorn. As we were starving when we checked in this was perfect to hold us over before grabbing dinner. The pool was average, it was refreshing to jump in after a long hike but wasn't the cleanest pool I've ever been in, but it was fine overall. Breakfast had a good amount of hot and cold choices and the dining room had ample seating. I would stay here again.

« Tim is the best! »

Stayed here for one night. Tim checked us in and gave us a great quiet room, taking in to consideration we were in town for work. Small talk from him greatly improved our night. Recommended best place to park the car. The bed was very comfortable! love the updated door locks. Room had a lot of space for me to get work done. Restaurants and shops near by. There was a half drunken water bottle in my room housekeeping may have forgot about, and the bed looked as if someone had sat on it and left. (Not a big problem to me. ) He even call my room to give me an answer to a question I had while at the front desk. Free breakfast, getting coffee in the morning was easy and quick before heading out. I can't wait to come back and see Tim.

    « Okay for $60 »

I struggle because I only paid $60 ($75 with tax) so I wasn't expecting much. Aside from the room smelling of smoke (not fresh, but rather that 20 years of smoking smell) the room was okay, with comfortable bed, good TV and AC. Unfortunately the cleaning of the room is the reason I can't give a higher score. I found hair in my bed (that wasn't mine), trash in the trash can (that wasn't mine) and sticky gunk on the nightstand (that I didn't make). The hotel is exterior corridor. For the price I might stay again, but would hope the housekeeping department improves some.

    « Always Great »

The staff at this hotel has always been very good, and they have made it easy for me to choose this location, over and over. The InnSuites properties are a step above the average Best Western. Great selection at the free breakfast, and located in a nicer part of the city.

« Weekend stay during betwen business »

Convenient location to stay while in the area. The hotel is good and the staff were excellent. Room was spacious and had every thing required. My room was close to the pool and was a little noisy. Breakfast was good but there was limited seating if the hotel was full.

« Best of the Best »

With the excellent location, the stunning suite, the incredible breakfast and the 5-star staff, why would you want to stay elsewhere? This hotel IS your home away from home! There are hotels in my area that had lower rates, but why risk quality and perfect accommodations over price? This is one of many reasons why the hotel is the BEST!

    « Weekend getaway. »

I always love staying at this hotel. The staff is usually nice and the property clean. This time a little disappointed at check in. When I got there no one was at the counter and I waited 10 to 20 minutes for someone. I would still come to this hotel. It perfect in location and it is always clean.

    « Disappointed »

We stayed here twice in the past year and had positive experiences. The third time was NOT the charm. Bedroom tv was broken, the couch in our suite was deplorable . The stains were disgusting...I put a towel down to sit on the couch. The bathroom was tidy except for the long black hairs in the tub and on the floor. ( I choose to believe it was the sweet cleaning staff girl with the long hair. ). We would have left but we drove for hours and frankly I was just too exhausted. Safe to say never again. On a positive note the front desk staff is very nice and also helpful. I think upper management would well to tour these rooms.

« BW Northern Avenue Phx »

As an traveler for business across all Az Communities I stay in a number of hotel rooms. This property is one of my favorites because there is high consistency in the Cleanliness, Professional and Helpful Attitudes of the staff, Comfy beds and the ability to have open and available outlets are important items for me. This property is not far from the SR51 should you need. Convenient to many things. Great stay and will stay again!

« Surprisingly excellent for the $68 summer rate! »

We arrived at this Best Western and were met by two of the biggest smiles we've ever seen. This is a very nice hotel. Some of the reasons include: large green dog space, very good breakfast, secluded patio area with tables and umbrellas, free breakfast and free happy hour every day, lovely picturesque foothills area, very comfy betting ? ? very clean, free Wi-Fi, close to Skyharbor airport, many suites for families or groups, beautiful pool. Some other things to know are that the room was fairly small, The bathroom was pretty small, but very well-equipped. Otherwise, it is quite excellent.

    3
    « Okay »

Room was okay, smelled a little like smoke even if it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Had a problem with bath tub spout coming off the wall when turning on the shower. Other than that it was a good place to stay.

    « Great Stay »

We decided to stay the night for our anniversary. Tom did a great job checking us in and giving us an upgrade. The room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our time there. The breakfast was hot and quite good.

« Great place to stay! »

Convenient location, parking was right outside the room. The full breakfast bar was better than most (in the US). It was a nice big room with a new refrigerator. Very pet friendly. The staff was courteous and efficient. I will be returning to this one!

    3
« Great hotel, free happy hour, good breakfast, great a/c. But... »

If it weren't for a couple of maintenance issues, I'd have probably given it 5 stars. By the morning, our bathroom was flooded from the bathroom upstairs, kind of awful! Then our neighbor was furious she'd been eaten up overnight by bed-bugs. But, the happy hour was nice, and the breakfast was good.

    « Summer Vacation »

We always love staying at this Best Western because of its central location. We hike squaw peak in the morning and are able to eat and shop at some of the best local spots in Phoenix from this hotel. It has a pool and a great happy hour with free drinks every night. It is inexpensive and great for our family of 6!

« College move in... Grand Canyon University »

I have stayed here before. Nothing real fancy, but very reasonably priced, good location, pool and "social hour" available. Social hour includes beer, wine, chips, salsa, etc. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Breakfast includes also scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuit and gravy. Again nothing very special, but all included.

« Great BW in North PHX »

really liked the style of the rooms as they are suites. very affordable here, especially in off peak season, Summer in Phoenix. there was some construction in the room next to mine, with lots of noise, but these upgrades are needed to make the hotel better. I will definitely consider staying here again.

    « Best Western Inn & Suites »

My stay at the Best Western Inn & Suites in Arizona was nice. They served hot and cold breakfast food items such as eggs, sausage, hash browns, cereal, etc. In the evening from 5:00 -6:30 p.m. they provided their guest social event of food and drinks.

« Great place to stay while we visit our son at college »

We loved this hotel! It was hard enough to drop our son off at College, but it was a great place to stay and know we can come back every time we can visit him. The suites were big and affordable. The breakfast was nice as was the social hour. Our youngest enjoyed the pool and cleaning was thorough and prompt. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for the great customer service!

    « Relaxed in Phoenix »

My family came to Phoenix AZ on Aug 12-15, 2016, stayed at best western inn and suites, black mountains was a great stay, we truly enjoyed our time here. Front desk was excellent, housekeeping was very attentive, breakfast was hot and plenty. The teenagers that came with us really enjoyed the pool area and looking for Pokemon. As adults we really appreciate the quite and the clean rooms, only problem was the strange shower stall that needs to be redesign. Best western really made our vacation pleasant, we will use them on our next stay.

    3
    « Very nice, BUT »

This is an old motel, that has been kept up pretty well. Our room was clean and comfortable, except for the bathroom. The door wouldn't close all the way, due to so many coats of paint. The toilet was made for a small child-- not an adult. The bowl was tiny, round, and it seemed like it was about 12 inches tall. The outside door did not fit snugly to the floor, so creepy crawlies could come in. We stayed 3 nights, and only had one crawl in. You couldn't ask for a more comfy bed. It was great. TV was cable, worked flawlessly, had a great picture. Staff was pleasant. Cannot comment on breakfast, we were always out.

    « Quality »

My stay was wonderful! The staff was very courteous and helpful. I was able to use the computer station and received heIp when I had an issue (my fault, not the hotel's.) I enjoyed the social and breakfast were great. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family!

    « A Mirage in the Desert! »

I booked the Junior Suite (room 226) at this hotel for 3 nights as it had a good price. Guy at front desk was pleasant, offered suggestions to local eateries. Then it went south from there. When I got to my room, it smelled as if someone smoked in there, carpet and paint was in poor condition. What got me was the water was leaking from faucet in jacuzzi next to bed (the drip-drip annoyance). Told front desk about it. It took two times for the maintenance person to go there to just say that the jets were on. I took video of the leaking faucet and went back to front desk. Manager said that they would fix it when they had a slow day (mind you they were booked the rest of the week); she didn't care. They offered to move me to another room for one night (room 232). Went there and room had no electricity. Packed up my things, cancelled reservation, and left. I was upset at this after having driven 600 miles. I will be contacting corporate.

    « A regular stop for us! »

Each time we come to town we stay here. If you will, we feel comfortable here and know we'll have a great time. Well located and easy to get to. Calvin is doing a great job improving the property and services, We are seeing new staff members and they all seem to be on board with his philosophy. Well done!!! Pool is quite nice and cozy. We have been regular guest for about the last 8-9 years. Breakfast is always presented well and taste very good with a nice selection of food.

    « Pleasantly Surprised! »

I stayed from the 11th to the 15th in room 230, for management training for my company. The hotel went above above and beyond when it came to service, amenities, and cleanliness. Offering fresh baked cookies at check-in, a shuttle service that takes you to local hangouts, while still providing an extremely practical, clean room, this experience at this hotel has changed my overall perspective on Best Western. The staff went above and beyond when it came to service. I had relied on their shuttle to take me to my morning meetings and one of their drivers had personal car issues and the front desk agent went above and beyond and called a shuttle service, without an extra cost to me or my company. Another thing I really did not expect from a "don't break my budget" type of hotel was how quick the WiFi was; due to the unfortunate fact that I often stay at Marriott products, I got used to having to make the trip to the lobby and working from my laptop (the only place that their WiFi is free). Best Western InnSuites, really is the "best"

    « Great stay! »

We had an ac unit that went out over the weekend and of course, there was no way we were staying home with no AC. This place is right down the street from us and we pass by it every time we drive to the 51. We thought, why not? It was super cheap and they we more than happy to let us check in 4 hours early so we could escape the heat! I was pleasantly suprised with how clean and updated the rooms were. Beds were super comfy and the ac worked amazingly well. My kids complained about being cold the entire time which is perfect for AZ! They have a social hour and provide free beer, wine and snacks. Such a great idea! Also, we were happy with the breakfast selection...any place that serves fresh waffles is good my be. We've stayed next door at the Pointe Hilton before and It's way pricier than this place ...for no reason. You get way more for your buck here and the service is just as good. We do little staycations at least once a month and we will make this one a part of our rotation. Perfect for a last minute night out of the house. We will be back! Thanks for the great service and being accomidating with our check in!

« Favorite place to stay while in Phoenix »

This has become our favorite place to stay when we go to Phoenix. Always friendly staff willing to help if needed. Very clean property! Rooms are always clean and comfortable. They offer a wide variety of rooms from single to suites and we have experienced several of them.

    3
« Just ok..clean but nothing to write home about »

Note: There is no elevator at this location and no airport shuttle. The room was adequate and the AC is very good if you can't stand the heat. However room remodeling was going on, the construction crew played their car radio's loud and there was a lot of pounding and saws running. The grounds were not clean, cig butts, hotel wash clothes, etc were littering the property at least in the area I was in. The hot tub, however was sparkling and clean. Be warned it was very hot, but I like it like that. The pool started to get cloudy after the 3rd day, and I had to call for pool towels. On July 4th, housekeeping staff was understaffed, I felt sorry for them. This hotel is just adequate, I will chose another BW in the future for this area. As I am a diamond member there was no welcome gift and I'm not sure if they awarded me points. I will say the staff called me when my room was ready.

    « July 4th Staycation »

Great stay. Close to many July 4th celebrations with great access to local streets and freeways. The pool was refreshing both in the evening and in the morning before checkout. Room was clean and comfortable and enjoyed large 2 room suite with Jacuzzi which I believe is the Presidential Suite. This suite also had 2 bathrooms with tub/shower that enabled us to get ready much easier with no taking turns getting ready, etc. The king size bed is truly comfortable. Definitely worth looking at when in Phoenix area.

« Be careful when booking »

I thought I was booking through Best Western on the i-pad to reserve at Best Western Inn Suites on 16th Street and Northern. I was extremely disappointed that the booking was redirected through getaroom.com and was more costly than reservations made direct through Best Western.com I consider this dishonest and hope that this review will be posted so others will be extra careful when booking reservations. I do not believe that Trip Advisor works in collaboration with getaroom.com. If this is posted then I will know that Trip Advisor is honest and "just posts the facts".

    « Best staff ever »

This was my first time staying at this property in Phoenix and I was glad I chose it ! This property has the best staff ever! They are very professional and informative. The breakfast buffet was awesome and the staff was always making sure I was satisfied. I didn't use the pool, but it was a very popular place. And I loved that grills are available to use. And I was glad a laundry room was available...made it much easier ! I will make this my main stay anytime I am in the Valley !

« Best Western Phoenix Arizona »

The surrounding area was beautiful, great for walks and hiking given a public mountain preserve is nearby. The free breakfast buffet offered many options and was really good. The lobby staff were very helpful. It's not far from the airport but far enough to have a more scenic surrounding.

« Good Phoenix Best Western »

We stayed for a couple of nights in Phoenix recently at the Best Western InnSuites. Our stay was comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the people there were friendly and helpful. My only complaints were the lighting in the room was inadequate and the A/C was pretty loud. It was hot (Duh - It's Phoenix) so it seemed the A/C was on continuously. Several lightbulbs were missing in the lamps but they were quickly replaced when we told maintenance. Overall, a good experience and I would stay there again.

« Best Western's really are the BEST! »

I've been a frequent Hotel user over the past 30 yrs and one thing I insist on when staying overnight somewhere, is friendly service and comfortable beds. Best Western is always consistent with both!!! The coffee is always fresh and no other Hotel chain serves the kind of breakfast Best Western does. A+++++ all the way!

« Comfy Beds and Hot breakfast »

Staff is friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate all needs. Bathrooms need a little TLC but not disgusting. One horrible thing was the US Flag was not properly displayed. It should always be the top flag and no other flag should fly at the same staff as the US Flag. I did let staff know in a follow up email.

I really enjoy staying at Best Western. The staff is so nice and attentative. If you have any issue with your room it is handled quickly. The wine hour is one of my favorite and my husband really enjoy the breakfast. I always get the Jacuzzi Suite when staying at Best Western, you will not find a better price in or out of town. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud they are so comfortable.

    « Perfect »

I have stayed at this hotel many times, and I am always happy with the service. They have nice rooms, and the price is competitive. Also, with it being centrally located, no matter where I have meetings in Phoenix, I am not that far from them. They also just put in a new fitness center.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. While it is an older property, it is well-maintained and attractive. The location in north/central Phoenix is ideal, and the 16th St. area has a number of fine restaurants and amenities. I enjoy the personal service, the friendly staff and the price.

    « Nice BW property! »

I was impressed with this property and it's location. I had booked this on the fly as we were driving from California to Texas. My daughter was impressed with the shower/jacuzzi bath tub, although we did not use the jacuzzi, the shower was great. Beds comfortable and typical BW hot breakfast.

« Glad it was free »

This hotel really tries to be great, but it is an older site which needs a total redo. I guess if I traveled less I would not notice but so many little things add up to a minus. If I had not used all my points for the one night stay I would be calling to complain. Will skip this hotel next time. One suggestion:ask for a room on the south side away from Northern Ave and away from the pool.Marco Polo is not my favorite games!Nor roaring cars all night long.

« Cheap but you get what you pay for »

We had a large suite (they are probably all the same) with 2 TVs. Good so far but problems with the shower and electric point (both were quickly fixed). The beds were poor and felt like someone weighing 300 lbs had just finished using them for nocturnal activities. Breakfast included was reasonable.

« Mothers day do over »

I highly recommend Best Western on northern and 16th St. In Phoenix. I have been in the hospitality industry for most my life. It is rare to find a place to stay that is both affordable and clean. I am very critical of guest service. I manage several high end vacation rentals in Scottsdale and Carefree. The staff was so welcoming I just felt like the weight of the world slipped right off my shoulders. My room was so clean! I carry a blacklight in my truck to check up on people I hire to clean. So when I say the room was clean, I mean clean! The staff were so friendly and professional. The breakfast was perfect. I'm not easily impressed when it comes to guest services. Thanks to the outstanding staff at Best Western, upon checkout, I was ready to face the world again. I will forever sing your praises.

    « Very comfortable beds! »

Our room was the 2 bed with kitchen suite. There were 4 of us and this room was perfect for us. The room was very clean, beds very comfortable (even the sofa bed), and we were so happy and surprised when we found out there was a second bathroom! There is a outdoor pool and hot tub and and a couple of washer and dryers if you need to do laundry. Free breakfast in the morning was always good and lots of food. The only thing I would say if you are staying for more than a couple of days is to make sure you get a room that is away from the busy road in front of the hotel as it can be very noisy.

    5

« A great Best Western in Pheonix »

Nice best Western, great breakfast, has a pool and hot tub, good pricing great location and helpful staff. We stayed here because it was close to Chase Stadium where we attended a baseball game. the staff told us about the local Metro train, just a few miles down the street with a park and ride. We were able to ride this to the ball park! Very cool and much better than driving downtown and parking.

    4
    « Great Value »

Where else can you get a suite with a Jacuzzi for under $200 per night? The room was a bit dated, but was still worth the value. We were in the Clinton Presidential suite. There was also a Reagan presidential suite, but they misspelled his name.

    3
    « Location is good - that's about it! »

This was chosen for it's good central location in Phoenix. Unfortunately, the staff does not seem to get along with each other, therefore, causing an uncomfortable feeling for customers. They also do not seem to like doing their jobs. Upon arrival, we had to ring the bell for service and even though the employee was right around the corner in an adjoining room, she was slow to come to the desk to check us in. The room was your usual motel type room. It was a remodeled room in a rather dated building. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The surroundings were noisy because the building is still being remodeled. We wanted to get an early start the next morning, therefore we were checking out before the free breakfast. When we checked in, we were told that a grab bag would be available to us, with fruit or something to take on the road. When we asked for it, we were told "my co-worker didn't inform me of this". Also, the lobby coffee was unavailable. We were told "the kitchen lady is angry with us because we drink too much coffee, so she won't let us refill it." Huh? What a way to send off a customer on their morning drive. My advice is that this facility needs to do a lot of training or replace some staff.

Overall this was a very enjoyable stay. Everyone was very cordial and professional. Room was decorated very well, and the appreciated the bottle of water as well. Hadn't stayed at a Best Western in years, and will most definitely will in the future, either way for business or pleasure. Thank-you

    2
« Not what we expected »

The photos of the hotel on the internet are much better than the actual hotel itself. The room we were in had an odor and decor was outdated, the room was dark but the bed was comfortable. There was only one free bottle of water per two guest stay. It is close enough to the airport without any noise. The free breakfast was good but the dining area was hot and dark. The setup of breakfast was awkward but doable.

Really nice location tucked in a neighborhood away from major business activity. Yet, still close to things that are walking distance. Safe area. Clean, quiet, family friendly. I would stay again if the opportunity came up.

    « Good! »

Was very well located near freeway, Walgreens, etc. If you need to be in the Hilton Pointe or Biltmore for a Conference it is a cheaper option. Breakfast as usual in the hotels chain, the same always but do the job and did it well, everything clean and safe. Have a rented car or use Uber for transportation in this city it's a must.

« Very happy with our stay »

We stay at the Best Western InnSuites in Phoenix at least 3 nights a month, The staff is always helpful and courteous. It is convenient to good restaurants and shopping at PV mall. The cleanliness of the rooms has improved over time. The amenities are nice, like the workout room, free full breakfast, WiFi in the room and swimming pools. I would recommend this motel as a nice room for the price.

    « Never Again »

Not what I expected from a Best Western! The first morning I was greeted by a roach. Everyday was a total crap shoot as far as the towels went. Always large towels, I'll give them that, hand towels and wash clothes were a different story. Most of the time I was lucky if I even got one. A dirty, wet rag was left on my nightstand. The soap from the previous guest was left in the shower. Also a used bottle of the tiny shampoo was behind the toilet. That I could see them missing. Never again will I stay at this Best Western!!!

« Smoking in the Hot Tub... »

Check in was underwhelming. The room was fine, though I was unable to request personalized service as the card was already filled out from two days prior. On site breakfast was ok. The worst part of this property is the fact that three guests were smoking in the hot tub...

« Do not stay here for a wedding »

I stayed at the Best Western in Phoenix for a wedding in which I was the Maid of Honor. There were about 20 guests of the wedding staying in the hotel. A few days before check-in, a woman from the hotel called the bride to tell her that 19 out of 20 reservations had not been confirmed, including my own reservation (a few days before this I actually called the hotel to make sure that my reservation was confirmed). After speaking with the woman myself and telling her my name, she then circled back and said that my reservation had indeed been confirmed but none of the other guests were. After a couple hours of confusing conversations, she finally told us that the other guests reservations were confirmed (???) When one of the people staying in my room checked in after we did, they were told that there was nobody with my name staying at the hotel and was not given a room key. In addition to all of this, the bride dropped off gift bags for the guests several days before and the hotel staff agreed to hand them out to guests at check-in. Not a single guest received their gift bag at check-in and when the bride called to inquire about this, she was told that there had been no gift bags dropped off. When I returned to the hotel later that night, two staff members were working at the front desk and I asked them about the bags. They seemed confused and said that they didn't have any, but when I told them that they should definitely have them, they looked around for about ten minutes and finally found them. The bags were large tote bags so I don't understand how they were misplaced. We were very disappointed by the poor communication between staff members which caused a lot of stress for the bride and groom. Other than that, the rooms were fine. The breakfast is nothing special and the pool was filled with debris.

    « Very Disappointed »

For a Best Western this was below expectations. Here are our issues, room not as advertised, bathroom could not be shut, lights burned out, towels for two not three, no pillows for sofa bed. We had to seek out housekeeping to get our own. Worst, crumbs in the bed and just thrown in. Gross. Only one trash can in suite. TV did not work and the maintenance man could not speak English and was so out of his expertise

    5
« Best Hotel for price, service, comfort »

I always use Best Western for the best accommodations possible at the best price. The staff at the front desk is always helpful. When you call on the hone for reservations you get the best service possible. Locations for my travel are perfect.

« We loved our stay and shall return again and again because it is close to Mayo and it is great too. »

We really like the little sitting room separate from the bedroom. It is an older place, sure- but it was clean and affordable. They have a happy hour in the evening and breakfast in the morning. It is the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, yogurt, fruit and cereal-nothing to complain about! Older places seem to have much thicker walls and we like that a lot. We were alongside the street but it did not bother us at all.

    4
    « Dated, but comfortable »

The hotel needs to be spiffed up, but it was very comfortable. Bed was great, breakfast plentiful, hot tub delightful. Hot and cold water taps were reversed in our room. Front desk staff friendly and attentive.

Nothing much to say - spacious rooms (took the double queen room + a crib) Room was clean (though bathtub had rusty stains in it due to which we chose to shower the kids rather than bath them) Lots of option to dine / order in (we ordered in a Pizza, they deliver directly to your room) Nice hot breakfast, waffles included good value for money

« Stayed at this hotel several times... »

...And I will continue to stay at this hotel in the future. Always a good experience. The front desk staff has always been very courteous and helpful. They strive to provide all of the information you want/need for the local area. The breakfast is good yet I wish they offered BACON in the menu!!!! Coffee is always HOT.

« We had a very pleasant 10 day stay for spring training. »

The location was away from downtown, which we prefer, and it worked out great for us on our daily excursions. We went to 5 SF Giants games and decided to stay for the Diamondbacks home opener. We also visited many local eateries, which were supplied to us on a listing by the front desk. That was very helpful to us.

    « Scorpion »

My first two nights (April 8& 9) were good. The morning of my last day (April10), I was laying in the bed when something dropped on my head then stuck me in the arm. I jumped out the bed and upon investigation I learned it was a scorpion. I freaked out called the front desk. Someone came to get it. I couldn't ahold of the manager (Kim Chambers) until today April 11th. I explained the situation and she stated that because they are by the mountains this can sometimes happen. She said she could give me one night free but that is all she could do. This is so unacceptable what if were child or someone with a weak immune system they could possible be dead. As we all know scorpions are poisonous. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Front desk manager Oggi made the trip fabulous! The hotel is centrally located and was just perfect for the whole extended family to be able to stay for a great family wedding. I would stay here again. The full hot breakfast was a wonderful feature.

« Another terrific stay at Best Western. »

Another excellent stay. The manager Calvin Quick has a very professional and courteous staff throughout. The property is in a perfect location to get to various places in the Phoenix area. It has been my experience that being treated as family rather than a number is the norm. Will definitely stay there next time I am in the area.

    « Loud and dirty »

Not normally a complainer, but this was not an enjoyable stay. The building is right next to VERY loud and fast road, mattresses were lumpy, pool was dirty (used ear plugs floating in it when nobody was using it). Faucets hooked up incorrectly (reversed). Breakfast was sparse and not very appealing (greasy sausages, dry eggs). On the plus side the room was relatively clean and the front desk staff kind and helpful.

    « Very nice »

This was our second time staying at this hotel ( first time was 2 years ago). We chose to stay here again because of it's location and rate, and we were once again very satisfied with this hotel. The rooms are pretty standard size and are very clean. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel is renovating rooms, but we did not face any inconveniences ( heck, we didn't even hear the workers and our room was by the dumpster they were using for renovations) and the new tiles in the bathrooms are beautiful. Only drawback was the new tiles turned our feet and socks black, but we hadn't noticed it until late on our last night. I can't say absolutely positively that the staff would have done something about it, but given that they were very helpful, I'm pretty sure they would have addressed it had we reported it. The pool area is very clean and maintained. I like that they have a couple covered table in the pool area if you want to get out of the sun for a while. I would also like to thank the gentleman (Sorry, can't remember what his name was) that checked us in. When I made the reservation, I forgot to request a ground floor room (I am disabled, but do not require a handicap room). I explained my needs to him and he changed some pre- blocked rooms around and got us a ground floor room. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Phoenix.

« Great hotel in Great Area »

I was first time in Phoenix Arizona, and I was amazed friendliness and hospitality in this hotel. They gave us a Presidential Suite just for one night stay. Hotel had social hour to their quests and snacks, wine and drinks were available their customer. Just round the corner was Hilton Resort and this hotel beat with the price and service any of these fancy hotels which I had recently visited. This hotel was actually located in prime suburban area in Phoenix, within in walking distance with fancy and nice restaurants.

    « 1 Night Stay »

I would stay here again. We had a pet room, it was nice and on the 1st floor. Room was clean and the beds comfortable. Stayed the night to be able to take my Real Estate test early the next day. The front desk was nice and gave us a late ck. out of 1 pm. So, I did not have to ck. out early in the morning before my test. Very helpful!

« Good location in the East Valley »

The breakfast is GREAT and the Happy Hour is hard to pass up, even if it is only chips and salsa and pretzels. The location is somewhat tricky to get in and out of, but it's only 2 blocks away from a wonderful trail system in the desert. So it's a trade off. Try NOT to get room 138, which is non-smoking, but seems to suck cigarette smoke in from the "maintenence" room next door.

This was a nice experience, friendly helpful staff, nice room, breakfast was good with a good variety and selection, free parking, no problems. The free social hour was a nice added bonus, Will definitely stay there again.

    « Good Value »

The bad; the hotel room was small and the carpeting made our socks and feet black. The bathroom door would not shut unless forced shut with a lot of force. Dirty clothes were found under bed from previous guest. No towels or cleaning products in fitness room. Room needs to be gutted and made to be modern, should not be a 2 queen bedroom. The good; lots of freebies, comp. bottled water in fitness room and one per day in guest room, nice breakfast, happy hour drinks and snacks, daily newspaper at front desk, computers with printers in lobby. Pool was heated and the perfect temperature. Room smelled clean after housekeeping had just left. Plenty of hot water. Staff was helpful. 2 mini refrigerators. Rooms had room darkening drapes and beds were very comfortable.

    « Very good stay »

Our stay was comfortable and pleasant. A bit overpriced, but much better than staying in a cheap uncomfortable hotel. I was pleased with our room and would stay there again. We have stayed in horrible, smelly rooms, so I know what I'm tlking about.

Very nice accommodations with an excellent location. The check in was easy and I received the Presidential sweet all for like $130. Breakfast was free and very good. The location is close to Scottsdale, Acadia, and the Biltmore area of Phoenix. They have a free happy hour as well. We traveled in March and the weather was great and the flowers were beautiful.

« Always feel at home! »

Great location, friendly staff, nice room and hotel in great condition. Have stayed at this hotel for ten years and never had a bad stay. There may be more modern and newer hotels but this exterior entrance property is good and more wallet friendly.

    « enjoyable stay »

We stayed in an executive suite. It was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was better than we have sometimes experienced. « It did it's job »

The hotel staff was nice, check in was easy. Just had an overnight stay. The room was as described on the internet when I booked it. Just one flaw; had one small bar of soap on the sink soap dish and not any in the shower. Obtaining more toiletries was not an issue. It's a good on off location to the freeways.

    4
    « Location and value »

This is a perfect location. The motel is clean and the service is good. My wife and I have stayed here two years in a row for 5-6 weeks in the winter. We plan to return next year. Close to friends who stay in Scottsdale and family in Sun Lakes. Very good value.

    « Loved this hotel! »

Our room was very quiet and peaceful. All of the staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to offer help. They never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question. Even the other hotel guests were friendly at the pool and in the breakfast room.

« Well run, clean, happy, friendly hotel. »

Nice place with its own pool, bbq area, lounge (with free happy hour each evening). Rooms on two floors, with plenty of parking for all. The rooms are nicely furnished, although a little small. Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially with local knowledge. My one caveat is that this is quite an isolated place so either be ready to use your own car, or make sure you're happy paying for taxis - or you can walk to nearby bars and restaaurants etc, just make sure to leave yourselves 20-30 minutes or so, not the 2-5 minutes advised in the hotel guest rooms!

    « EXCELLENT PHOENIX HOTEL »

As a Diamond Best Western Elite, I can honestly say this is one of the chain's top properties. It should be a Best Western Plus. I was here for two nights and could not have been more pleased. Very clean comfortable rooms and beds. Quiet residential location. Nicely decorated with flat screen TVS. Very good breakfast provided seven days a week. Lovely pool and Jacuzzi in courtyard area. Excellent staff and management. Reasonable prices for this popular sunny winter resort area. Convenient off street parking. Highly recommended!

« Needs some love and attention »

We stayed for 1 week, primarily because of their dog friendly policy. They are indeed dog friendly, and the fee for pet is very reasonable. There is a nice yard, complete with a "potty station" for your pets to play. Although the title states "InnSuites" our room was not a suite, unless the separate bathroom area counts as a suite. The bathroom was very small and cramped. Very small. The room was old and outdated, the carpet was gross. Our room was north facing and was noisy because of Northern avenue. There was also an in-ground sprinkler in the green area outside our room and the sprinkler head near our door sprayed water on the door which seeped into the room leaving the carpet wet. The outdoor space - patio and pool areas - were messy and need of attention. The patio really needed to to swept and washed down - there were always cigarette butts, plastic cups, and garbage around the grounds. We also notice a man wandering around the grounds on a couple occasions who I thought worked there but then saw him walking toward a nearby park with an armful of towels. I saw him going through the garbage collecting aluminum cans? Central location, close to parks.

This property has it all. Not all rooms are created equal, but at this property I have stayed in many different types of rooms and keep coming back because they all have the right stuff. Clean, Comfy, Great Breakfast spread, Professional & Pleasant staff. Should there be an issue like the remote is a bit worn they are quick to get a new one out. Electrical outlets, several and easy to get to. Right off the 51 frwy with easy access. I would highly recommend a stay and will be back myself.

    « very nice stay »

This hotel stay was worth every penny. It is a Best Western hotel, not the Ritz Carlton. I like to read negative reviews before I book a hotel and can usually pick up on the nit-picking and I know people who take the time to write these reviews generally like to complain. (i.e. "there was a plumbing issue with the toilet that didn't flush properly. My husband had to fiddle with it each time we used the facilities") Yes, I had to hold down the handle to flush the toilet. So what? (i.e. "Even after complaining for 3 times hotel staff would not put 4 towels in the bathroom") Cry baby. Go to the pool (which is great, by the way) There are plenty of fresh towels. My wife attended a conference at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort. It's a 10 minute walk from the best Western, and while I'm sure the toilets there flush with just one push, it was twice the price. The staff is friendly enough. (Anyone can have a bad day). The breakfast food is what you would (or should) expect. (Scrambled eggs, biscuits, waffles: the standard fare. The beds are very comfortable. The windows rattled a bit, but did not disturb our sleep. the staff is friendly, despite the negative reviews I read. Stay here, but don't expect more than what you should from a Best Western. It's slightly above average, and it's fine.

Perfect location for downtown Phoenix, the airport, Scottsdale and places north. Very nice hotel, beautiful grounds , rooms clean and comfortable and good breakfast. Free happy hour every night! The only downside was that the pool wasn't really clean. Also has BBQ's for guests use.

I went to Phoenix for a quick trip to see a concert at the MIM. I needed a hotel for the night. I wanted a nice place, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. This place was perfect. « Calm in the City »

The Best Western Hotel on Northern Ave in Phoenix was most definately a calm experience. Phoenix is a big city and the quiet renewal we experienced in this comfortable hotel with informative and helpful staff was refreshing! The space was well kept up, clean, and swimming pool was perfect! Laundry facilities, workout space. Oh my goodness. A gentle and healing landing space while we attended to the challenging family business of unanticipated death. Beds were SO comfy. Breakfast options ~ Happy Hour ~ and meeting other very fine folks who were registered in. I will return there when traveling next~hopefully with leisure in mind vs family business.

    « Local druggy paradise »

I have stayed at this location in the past and had very good service. All the old employees that were very good are gone now and a bunch of incompetent people run this place now. My room smelled of old cigarettes among other stale odors. There was traffic coming in and out of the room next to me. Looks like they made a permanent residence of the place. Locals seem to buy and sell drugs in the parking lot. Very scary at night. I felt like I was going to get robbed.

    « Priceline Dud »

I booked this hotel you my location Yuma location. I was trying to find an inexpensive clean place to stay. From previous ratings on Priceline, I booked this location for two nights prepaid. When I got into my room it smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke. Within five minutes I knew I couldn't stay there and was getting a headache from the stench. The front desk tried to work with me but said the smoke was probably traveling through the vents. They said they could get me another room in a few hours which meant I had no place to go to wait and it was going to be an inconvenience as far as plans with friends went. When I called Priceline they had no sympathy for me and said they were going to charge me for the first night even though I said I couldn't stay there because it was so smoky. A lesson learned. I will never ever use Priceline again because after reviewing my purchase, I realized I could've booked directly through the hotel for less. The man at the front desk told me he would've refunded me if it had not been booked through Priceline. I was penalized $109 but found a nearby Extended-stay which was very clean and no smoking allowed on site.

I have written 3 updated reviews and they haven't showed up on here. We are very pleased with the way the motel responded to the things that happened on our stay. They reversed our points and added more points! I wrote a positive review that very same day because they were so efficient in making things more then fair. We will stay again, and I have gave them 5 stars because everyone was so nice and fixed things right away. Thank you for your fantastic customer service. The beds were very comfortable, the room nice and clean.

    « Very Dirty Hotel »

Arrived late in the evening for check in, requested a room not on the ground floor when i booked the room. At check in I was initially told the room type i booked was not available but then told that the room type i did book was available, and that house keeping just didn't update the computer. I was told all that was available was one on the ground floor. I was given room 125, a 2 room suite(room type i booked). The air conditioner in the room was broken, it was blowing out ice cold air and would not turn off. I called the front desk, and the front desk clerk came to try to fix it. The older man who was working the front desk (also when i checked in) was very helpful and trying to do all he could to assist. Since it was late he was the only one working. He was not able to turn it off so I was switched to room 117. Room 117 was one of the dirtiest hotel room I have ever slept in. Please look at the photos. The carpet was not vacuumed, and had white pieces all over it. There was a beer bottle cap on the floor next to the bed, 2 used plastic cups on the floor between the bed and the night table, The toilet and shower had hairs in it, all of the lighting and the furniture had layers of dirt on it. It literally has not been dusted in 5 years. The room was obviously serviced by the house keeper since the last guest because the bedding was made, and new unused toiletry items were in the room. Early in the morning i was awaken multiple times by housekeeping staff being loud outside my room as there was a housekeeping closet near my room. Breakfast was below average for a best western. Food was cold at 9:30am, and lacked selection compared to most best western properties. There were 3 hot options, eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy, as well as cereal, waffles and bread products. At check out I addressed the issues with the room with the front office manager and she was very apologetic and assured me she would follow up with housekeeping. While the staff at the hotel was very nice and accommodating, next time I am in Phoenix i will not be staying at this best western property because of the cleanliness issues. The hotel is in need of a major deep cleaning. I am a diamond member with the best western brand, and they are my choice hotel to stay with due to the value and consistency of the brand. Sadly this is the dirtiest best western property i have ever experienced.

    « Clean, nice staff »

The good: Lourdes takes care of the breakfast in the morning and is great. Greets you with a good morning and knows her guests right away. One couple liked coffee and oj, when she seen them she asked if they wanted it again. She asked us how many waffles we wanted (sometimes two of us would want it others three), she would help with my tea. She would deliver the waffles when they were done. This service is not expected but was very much appreciated! Thank you! TJ at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful. Everyone there was but he stood out. The staff makes this a good place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Beds are comfortable and there is a mix of soft and firm pillows. Rooms are decently sized. There is a desk, small refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and adequate dresser space. The pool is heated and looks nice. There is also free wifi. The Bad: Water temperature coming out of the shower is way too hot. They need to turn down the boiler. Be careful when you get in the shower! There is a lot of noise coming from the street. Try to stay inside more. I would come back here again.

Entering the lobby, I could see this place was well maintained! Awesome service and very polite at the front desk. Asked for a complimentary upgrade and got it (tipped appropriately..) room was amazing with a pull out couch (didn't use it) and 2 full bathrooms. Exceptionally clean and well maintained! Pool wasn't used but had some nice cabanas outside with a warm hot tub and clean water in the pool! Awesome reception with included beer and wine as well as snacks!!! Overall outstanding stay with a great location! Thank you for the awesome stay!!

« Good Hotel working to get better »

Room was quiet, staff was mostly helpful. Breakfast was good. However we were given a room with one bed when we paid for 2 and had to ask to be transferred in the room we paid for. That room had a bed with a big dip in it that made sleeping difficult. It was one of the first rooms they renovated. The other bed was just fine, if a little soft for hotel beds. Room was clean and has what you would expect. Low flow shower had inconsistent heat, so it was a little interesting but not bad enough to report.

We always stay here as it is the closest hotel to my brother's home. This time the whole family came for his funeral, and the staff was very accommodating. We had asked for two queen beds, and when they couldn't provide that, they gave us an extra room at no charge. The rooms were very clean, the heating system was quiet, the mattress comfortable. The breakfast room has a long table which was perfect for our entire family to be able to eat together in the morning. We didn't need the fridge or microwave on this trip, but they have been useful in the past. The location is right off the freeway so it is convenient. Parking is plentiful. My only complaint is that the lights over the sink/vanity are too dim for applying makeup.

    « Clean, Comfy, Professional »

I travel for the job so this Property Chain has a lot going for it. This particular hotel not only comfy, clean rooms, but has a professional staff as well. Very helpful. The one free drink happy hour and the monthly customer appreciate BBQ is a really nice added additions. The different room types I have stayed in have plenty of outlets and clean fridge. Some of the things I look for in a room. Breakfast has something for everyone. I will stay again

Our stay was fantastic....breakfast and happy hour were great....rooms were clean and spacious...we used the great pool and hot tub....great place to stay for a short or longer stay...we were checking out different locations in Phoenix for relocation...this location was great for our trip

    « Not satisfied »

I checked in, the room was on a corner next to the communal smoking ash tray, it was noisy, the smoke filtered into the room through the gap in the door and the air unit... I left for another hotel. The location is convenient but my experience was less than satisfactory. The hotel is just noisy and rooms small (not quaint)

« Room at Best Western Innsuites Phoenix »

The lighting is very dim and could see why. Pets are welcome here and the carpet looked and felt dirty. The room did not smell fresh . The tv was in an awkward place and could barely be seen from bed. The bathroom had an outdated and old whirlpool tub. The walls and floor and even the light switch edges had very visible mold growing on it in the bathroom. The door to the room was very dirty on the outside. Free breakfast was in not so clean area. Room small and hardly a suite. Queen room not large enough for 2 people.

This hotel had very good customer services. I would recommend it to anybody. My family enjoyed the food the room the internet and the gym. If the weather was a little warmer we would have enjoyed the pool as well.

    « very ghetto »

i booked the presidential suite for my daughter for new years eve. when she arrived, there was urine in the toilet and pubic hairs on the toilet seat. there was a cock roach in the bathtub and coffee stains on the tables. the room had not been cleaned, and the whole room was fairly trashy. definetly somewhere to stay away from. we went to a best western plus and the room was much nicer. I work at a best western, so I know what a nice room is, and that was not one. do not waste your time.

    « Service Above & Beyond! »

Traveling to Phoenix for work with 3 co-workers, we booked at the Best Western based on price & proximity to downtown. We experienced two examples of customer service above & beyond the call of duty: When we first checked in, LeShawn cautioned us about a phone credit card scam that had been making the rounds in Phoenix. Two days later, a co-worker (staying at a different hotel) told us how she'd been the victim of said scam the night before. On our first morning, we prepared to call a cab when Oji directed us to a commuter app that saved us tonnes on cab fares while getting around Phoenix. My entire working career has been in customer service, so when I see two different employees exceeding expectations at the same establishment, you know there's a great team in place.

« BEST WESTERN InnSuites Phoenix »

We were quite surprised with the complimentary cocktails and snacks offered every evening (Free beer and wine). The room was comfortable and clean and the in room wifi worked excellent with at least a 20 Mb/s download speed. The walls seemed a bit thin as every time the guests next to us closed the door the wall would rattle against the headboard of our bed. Not a complaint, but just thought I'd mention it. Overall it was a good stay and I would book here again in the future if we needed accommodations in Phoenix in the future. I should also mention this is a Pet friendly location which factored into our decision to book here as we almost always travel with our two cats.

« Good Location, Good Value »

We hav stayed at this complex several times, each time for at least a week. It is beautifully appointed and the service is without fault. The breakfast selection is fine, the afternoon happy hour a wonderful plus, the rooms ate tidy and well maintained and the reception staff friendly and exceptionally helpful. There are lots of nearby restaurants and other shopping amenities. It is a good location and the price is right.

    « Excellent Staff Attitude »

The staff attitude was excellent. The room was super clean and excellent. Front desk per5sonnel were friendly and concerned. Management does not nickel and dime -- free wifi, good breakfast and a free get together weekday afternoons.

    « EXTENDED OUR STAY »

WE booked our first 2 nights on points, then extended our stay by an additional 2 nights because this was a cozy, clean and safe place. Very comfortable beds ! It was a plus to have an outdoor grill. Very nice touch with the free social hour too !! The location was great, being close to the hwy 51. We quickly discovered how easy phoenix is to get around with the loops. Front desk staff very kind and eager to give directions and advice on attractions. Thank-you for making our first time visit to phoenix welcoming with your southwest hospitality ! We'll be vack !

    « Great Location...happy hour everyday. »

Great location, very good breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy and also happy hour everyday with wine and snacks. The front desk guy was very nice, the room was clean, I will stay there again.

    « Free Wafffle....AND more »

I am easy to please when a free waffle is involved, but add biscuits and gravy and sausage patties and I might not leave. Not to mention, free drinks at night. Beer and wine. Not like the old days when it included cocktails, but I won't mark it down for that. We liked it so much we decided to stay and extra night! In all seriousness, it's a quiet location but still central, so it's close to airport, downtown and Scottsdale. I also went to the football game and it was too far from there either. I just had no desire to stay in Glendale. Had some good pizza from Stumpy's down the road a few blocks and plenty of other options. The staff was very nice and the rooms were nice. It's more like a motel, with outdoor entrance to rooms, but I was fine with that. They had a few computers in the lobby that came in handy. We will be back!

« Good place to rest while in Phoenix »

This hotel was in the midst of a makeover that was almost compete. The front desk person greeted us and gave us the layout of the facility. Our room was cozy, VERY comfortable bed with great selection of pillows from soft to firm.

« Great place to stay »

Great service and comfort and you can't beat the price. We loved it. I was there with cousins from two other states to celebrate my Tia's 70th. We had a blast and the folks here couldn't have been more courteous or helpful.

    « Good stay »

Comfortable beds. Bathroom area is tiny. Closet is a little to small. Service is great and everyone is really friendly. The bathtub needs to be replaced due to it being dated. There are remodeling the hotel so I am sure it will be fantastic when. They are finished. Kim I think her name was was wonderful. Would stay here again if I came to town.

« Certainly not First Class »

The room was clean, the free breakfast had enough food (though it wasn't very tasty), and the staff seemed pretty friendly. However, poor accommodations for people with walking issues (no way to get between the front desk and the dining room without going up and down several stairs). Also, I left a charger for my phone there, called to see if they could mail it to me - I was promised a call back that day, never got one.

« BW Northern Ave - Great Stay »

When I travel I look for things like accessible outlets and plenty of them - this place has it. I look for clean, professional looking, feeling room/place - this place has it. Breakfast has a large assortment to choose from - you can be as healthy and or have a treat for breakfast. The room has to smell clean - this property does. The staff have to know what they are doing and helpful - this place does. So....I recommend the stay and will be back

Looked as if someone puked at top landing of stairs .staff walked right over it choosing not to clean it up. A very noisey soccer team-Boys and Girls were staying at the hotel over the weekend--3am noise finally ended. Other than that a very comfortable clean room and swimming area

there was dog poop everywhere...barking dogs all night . I could hear the tv in the room next to mine. beds were ok, but too soft. there seemed to be a lot of noise, but maybe it was just because I was in a pet room...

« hotel was convenient for us »

Breakfast is a plus. Breakfast includes the basics. TV quality not the best. Broadcast quality was not the best. Available channels were not programmed in to the TV as far as I could tell. I really don't want to hear the music of the housekeeping/maintenance staff.

« Very nice hotel. Noisy Saturday night. »

This is a very nice hotel that was comfortable, nice beds, professional staff, good wifi, very good (real food) breakfast. BUT. The kids were out on a Friday or Saturday night. Lots of loud noises and so on. I did complain and the staff was responsive. Another a little odd thing was that getting a "Do not disturb" sign seemed a little difficult. Not a big thing though. Good location, but it is on a very busy street. Even so, except for the partying, it wasn't too bad.

« Worst hotel stay ever! »

The rooms were clearly updated but were still somewhat gross and musty inside. We had the lovely chance of having a dog that the owners left behind in the room behind ours, which we didn't discover until around 1am. Contacted the front desk around 2am to let them know about the dog but they only offered switching rooms or attempting to contact the people staying in that room ? the front desk girl said she'd call us back in 5 minutes and never bothered contacting us back at all. We were left listening to a dog bark, howl, and scratch all night long. The next morning we ended up being harassed by the dog owners as though it was our fault that their dog was left in the hotel room because they were arrested or otherwise ?detained? by the police all night. Our door was jammed when trying to pack up and leave this hell hotel and the man at the front desk tried to get us to go ask someone else for help instead of doing his job and contacting someone to come help us at our room. Refused to offer any sort of compensation for the horrible night spent at their hotel. Since then, my husband has spent 2 weeks attempting to get in touch with Kim Chambers, the supposed manager of this hotel. Received no calls back and she apparently never works AT the hotel so we have been completely unsuccessful at reaching her for any sort of help. Hopefully this Kim Chambers woman loses her job soon and they can hire a manager who will actually manage this property.

« Restful and Comfortable Place! »

I needed a place to stay while visiting family in Phoenix. I needed someplace comfortable and reasonably priced...and here I found both! It is an older property that needs updating, however, it was spotless clean and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud....It was SOOO comfortable!! The staff was courteous and professional. If you are looking for comfort at a good price...This is it!!

    « Needs Work »

Cleanliness needs attention and staff could use some customer service training. Rooms need updating. Breakfast was adequate and location is convenient to airport. Online photos are not indicative of the actual rooms available. Food was left in the refrigerator from the previous guest and the refrigerator had been turned off. Tub drain backed up during shower.

    « Phoenix Business Trip »

To start I called to request an early check in, and the guy at the desk told me he would call me back in a couple minutes, couple hours went by, and no contact from the front desk person, so I stopped by, and they informed me they would not have the room I requested available till 3pm, which then they said we could call you when it's ready, and I rejected their offer, as they don't do call backs obviously. Then have to say the Cleaning Staff is the worst I have ever seen. After I got checked in, and was put on the 2nd floor which I requested a 1st floor due to having a Hip Replacement and they had no elevators. The cleaning staff would leave trash bags and their carts in the hallway at the base of the stairs, plus smoking in a Non-Smoking Area and when you mention it, they laugh in your face, like who are you to say what I do. When they were supposed to be cleaning rooms there would be 3 to 4 in a room, partying and laughing so loud I couldn't hear the TV in my own room, guess that is why there is no such thing as early check ins there. They would stand on the second floor yelling down to the first floor for several minutes instead of walking down to talk civilized. You call the front desk and they say they will mention it to them, but then the next day they get even louder and ruder. The property could be beautiful if the cleaning people didn't leave their cars all over the walkways after they leave at the end of the day making it hard to maneuver around the walkways, probably a violation of the fire codes as well. They have free Internet that is sluggish at best, and you get logged off randomly while your using the computer to put your code back in. Breakfast was good, they have Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs with Sausage and Hash Browns. When leaving there are lots of blind spots onto Northern so be cautious. But I would have to say until they get their cleaning staff straightened out, I will not be staying there again, and just note if you stay more then one day, there is no common courtesy from most the staff, they already have you checked in, and have your money. Would have to say, I'm glad that I stayed at the Best Western in Houston and Galveston before this one, I would have thought the attitudes of the staff was normal for their chain.

« Nice place for the money and good location. »

This hotel was good (although showing it's age) and was convenient for me located just off Highway 51 so you can get around pretty easily around town. The full breakfast was decent although I am not a fan of reconsituted scrambled eggs (some added butter helps with the otherwise dry eggs). Caters to the average tourist (definitely not upscale). The staff was very good though. Very responsive. I had a couple of things to have fixed in my room and they were there within a couple of minutes. Pool was nice. But changed my room to the east side of the hotel for a little more quiet. For the money it was decent.

    « Ok for price »

The exterior of the hotel far exceeds the interior of the room we had. We originally booked a Standard Queen Room but had the option of changing to a Jr. Suite. We should of stayed in the standard room because the Jr. Suite was TINY. The bathroom was not more than 5 feet long and the Queen bed, was more the size of a full bed. And, we should of reported the roach in the mini refrig. when we first opened it,but since we were in a rush we didn't tell the hotel till check out. I think there are better choices next time I'm in that area.

This is a very good value for the money. Centrally located, clean and quiet with an excellent staff. It is, however, in need of updating. That might bother some people. However, I found the overall experience and value to be very good indeed.

    « Comfy, clean hotel »

Have used this hotel twice in the last year. Always clean & the beds are extremely comfortable. Love that they have a happy hour in the evenings something that you don't find very often. Will go back there again next time I am in town visiting family. Breakfast is the standard hotel breakfast.

    « Just ok »

4 years ago we stayed at this hotel and we had a great room. So we booked again a presidential. The staff is very much ok. So is the lady from the breakfast room! The room was a bit dissa Ointing. We had the one at the backside of the frontdesk. The bed was very comfertable. But the table in the living room was very old. The room could use some painting. They forgot to clean the seperate toilet. The shower was a bit difficult to handle. There is a patio at the other side of the parkinglot, that was nice. So was the pool. Breakfast was very good!

« Best Western Exceeds my expectations! »

The Breakfast was excellent, the high speed internet was great but most of all, the staff was excellent. I was in Phoenix for a conference and this Best Western had a great staff and I love the idea that there is a social hour Monday- Friday and free breakfast every morning with barbeque at the first Wednesday of the month. The staff made you feel like a family member. The pool was great and just in overall great experience. Can't wait to go back there.

« Location was good for the convention center »

We came in very late, the front room smelled like it was damp/musty, the air intake for the AC was like it had never been cleaned, I wondered if the filter had ever been changed. Our other room had a shower with and extender rod that was broken and had to hold that rod to wash hair, very awkward and the front room smelled damp/musty but the bedding was fresh and bed comfortable, both had kitchenettes but no cups dishes or silverware. The AC worked well. It was quiet. There was water between their room and my room we had to walk through that was muddy; I don't know what that was about. Breakfast was full and just fine. I would have thought the GM would have done a better job making sure everything was working in the rooms.

My recent stay was a good experience. Everyone on the staff is of the utmost professional and courteous caliber. « Impressed at first glance »

Upon entry to the room, I was impressed. Two rooms separated by french doors, two full baths. But on closer inspection it looked like the room had not been vacuumed near the furniture for a long time. Also found hairband and contact lens out on the open carpet. Light bulb over one bathroom sink missing and not replaced during two night stay. Breakfast area clean and good options, though food was barely warm.

« Good value for the price »

We've stayed here in the past a number of time since it's close to my husband's family. The staff is friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is varied, good quality and the dining room is clean and the food is kept stocked. They have 2-3 computers that can be used for free. Wifi works great throughout the hotel. We booked two Suite Rooms since we were traveling with other family members. They were very impressed with their room's quality and the service since the cost of the rooms were approx $100 each. Our suite room also consisted of three separate rooms (one with a kitchenette/living room, bedroom and bathroom. The sink in the kitchen area needed replacing since it was old and tired but we never used it so it wasn't a problem. There was a good size mini refrigerator, desk table, coffee table, sofa-bed and flat screen tv in the living /kitchen room. The bedroom had a king size bed and flat screen tv as well. On our arrival, the bathroom was covered in paper and blue tape and the fan was dismantled. We called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person who arrived within 15 minutes and he was shocked to see the state of the bathroom. He apologize and said that touch up maintenance must have been done to the bathroom after the housekeeping staff had clean the room. He was very efficient in putting everything back the way it was suppose to be and cleaned everything so it was usable. We were given a choice to either stay in this room or move and we decided to stay since the room was located next to our elderly relative that had been traveling with us. The next day our toilet got plugged and once again the maintenance staff arrived with 15 minutes and fixed the problem. The staff is very pleasant, efficient and works very hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I will still stay here when staying in Phoenix again (which we do frequently) because over all it is good value for what you get and the staff can't be beat.

    « Frequent Flyer »

I have stayed here several times when traveling from out of town to attend my grandson's football games. As the title suggests, I am a frequent and sophisticated traveler who knows the ropes of identifying suitable lodgings. My goal for these trips, which never are more than two days, is to get the best possible room for a reasonable price. This hotel aces those criteria: clean and comfortable rooms, good service, friendly and helpful staff (including breakfast and room cleaning), and a good price. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay for a budget price.
