The worst hotel I ever stayed in, no elevators for the old or physically challenged, small, weak and easily clogged toilets only a foot off the floor, refrigerators don't work so anything you wanted to keep cold will be ruined. Not so great customer service from the front desk.
Ok for an overnight quick stay.. be advised it is an older hotel, has a second story but no elevator. We were assigned a room on the second floor. Had a very difficult time getting our bags two flights of stairs. The gal at check in didn't seemed to be phased that there wasn't an elevator and it might be a problem for us. Upon check out and tryimg to get our bags down two flights of stairs, the sweetest gentleman cleaning rooms saw our struggle and cheerfully came to our rescue. ❤️
This is a very nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The thing I liked best were the showers. Good, strong water flow. The bathroom had enough counter space to put your toiletries. Beds were comfy. Lighting was better than most hotel rooms.
Lost electricity at 4am in whole area so no breakfast but the stay was more than satisfactory. Great room, bed, quiet night and staff terrific! Loved walking downtown and plenty of food options available. Great location and parking. Several hotels of quality in the area to choose from but highly recommend this setting.
I usually start with what i considered good about my stay then the bad, but only had one bad thing so listing it first this time. If you are mobility limited, there is no elevator in this hotel so only way to the top (second) floor is using the stairs. While it seemed an older facility, it was very clean and everyone I spoke with and saw working seemed happy and professional. I went to breakfast late, just as she was starting to close and asked if I could grab something to go, and the lady insisted I stay and eat the continental breakfast there. No restaurant on site, but they partner with the Dennys next door and get a 10% discount. The hotel also offers a military discount which is always nice and appreciated. I would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area.
Best name for this place would be Best Western Minus. They tried to cover up a previously smoked in room with some spray. Bathroom was dirty. Took a quick look and turned in the keys. They, of course, charged me for the room.....Big disappointment.
This place is terrible for the price. It was no better than a super 8 or motel 6 but twice the price. The fridge was warm. There was leftover garbage from the previous guest. The floor was sticky. The rooms smell like cigarettes. The pool and hot tub were unusable due to the lights being broken. The staff seemed like they hated their job. The pillows and bed were so uncomfortable. I'm never going back.
Overall, the hotel needs an update. There were large stains on the carpet, the bathroom fan was loud as was the air conditioner. Breakfast ended at 9 am on a Sunday and we were never told the hours when we checked in nor was there anything in the room with that information. The pool water was not very clear. Not a great experience.
Highly recommend. Clean & quiet. Great breakfast. Swimming pool very nice. Staff was friendly. Felt safe. Has a nice view. Can not hear noise from freeway. Breakfast has a nice variety and is is prepared well. Dining room is clean. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good nights rest.
I stayed here one night while traveling from Idaho Falls to Seattle. I arrived at check-in time and there were about 10 people in front of me and only one clerk. Nonetheless the line moved quickly. I was on the second floor and discovered there was no elevator which was a bit inconvenient as I had a lot of baggage with me. That was really the only downside. The room was clean, the bedding was comfortable and it was quiet. There are several restaurants nearby. We had the biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs for breakfast and they were fine. There was a lot to select from to include cereal, bagels, pastry, sausage. The apple juice had no taste but the coffee was hot and good!
Unfriendly staff, smelled like roach spray. Creepy people living there staring at you out there windows. Homeless living across the street. Not told by staff where room was located or provided a map before she turned around and walked off. Look for another hotel elsewhere.
Nice accommodation, better than most, across the street from cheapest gas in town. Early check-in on a weekday without argument. Quiet location. No elevator so ask for ground floor room if it's necessary. Toilet was small and low to the ground.
Poor quality of personal The equipment in the gym was old, the option were limited. The breakfast had very limited options and appeared to be of low quantity, compared to similar hotels. The room carpet had multiple large stains. There are better hotel in town.
We stayed one night. Arrived after 8 pm and left around 9 am, so didn't take advantage of the pool. Breakfast was fine - what you would expect from a hotel breakfast buffet - omelets, hash browns, sausage, and gravy (but no biscuits). Also had instant oatmeal, cold cereal, and apples and oranges. We reserved the one bedroom suite, with a king bed in the bedroom and 2 queen beds in the main room. Everything was great until we realized that there was no air conditioning in the bedroom. (It was 100 degrees that day.) The air conditioner in the main room was not strong enough to cool both rooms, and the placement of the air conditioner made it difficult for the cool air to reach the bedroom. We asked for a fan or portable air conditioner, but the hotel had neither. We were told that no one had complained before. Not very helpful when trying to sleep in a warm room. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that the manager would not be in until 10 or 11 the following day. Again, not helpful. This is a fine place to stay, but if you book the one bedroom suite bring your own fan.
This hotel looks good on the outside but the rooms are very motel 6 quality.this is like a 1 star quality with 5 star pricing. Only had to stay here. Never again. I'll drive further or do Airbnb.
This is a nice hotel for staying a few days to see the Jackalope Jamboree music festival. It is conveniently located near I-84 and the pool area was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and it was VERY quiet. No loud noises to wake you up. We would definitely stay here again.
Not a good example of a Best Western hotel. Very expensive for an outdated hotel that stinks. Make sure you don't accept the handicapped room they will try to give you.
We stayed at the Best Western but we were very disappointed with the condition of the room. The arm chair in our room had a broken leg, the desk chair fake leather was flaking off and the carpet had big stains! We saw other rooms with newer carpet. I was also surprised that there was no elevator.
This was remodeled or freshened up since I was there last. It has also gone up dramatically in prices. The duplex outlets in my room are so worn out that my charger plug just fell out. When I told the front desk staff they were not interested. This can be a fire hazard.
I owe BEST WESTERN an apology. I didn't leave the glowing review they deserve. I usually don't bother but after the horrible experience at the Oxford inn… please go to a place that shows true eastern Oregon hospitality. During roundup The buffet breakfast was plentifully stocked with fresh fruit and the whole made meals were wonderful. When the gal made a point to talk and greet everyone with a genuine hello and chat momentarily- made a point to clean tables as she went. Wanted to know how she could help you…she was apologetic as she was also keeping the buffet stocked and fresh for the multitude of guests. During roundup our rooms were freshly made while we were gone and fresh towels provided. Some places still have a sense of pride and standards. 9 months later- I hope they are still going strong- but if I ever come to Pendleton again- they have a loyal customer- thank you and please accept my apology for this late review.
Traveling with very elderly parents who forgot to reserve a first floor room. Front desk clerk kept trying over and over again to push them into a pet-friendly room, ignoring that my father is very allergic to dogs/cats. How many times did I have to explain to her why they couldn't use that room? Too many! ZERO offer of assistance to get their luggage upstairs and so me, a 65-year-old was left to get the luggage of three people upstairs. My 87-year-old mother and I then had to get a 92-year-old up there stairs. I get it that this was not all on the hotel, but they offered ZERO assistance. None. The itself was fine. A usual, moderate hotel room that was very clean. The next day, the breakfast room was low on food and tables. One was rectified but when you allow people on laptops to work at tables during the breakfast service, don't be surprised when you have no where to eat that plate of food you were hoping for.
A well located, well managed and up to date hotel. The rooms were quiet. There is a nearby restaurant within walking distance which made for a pleasant end to a long travel day.
Not not stay. Talk to desk clerk (in person) and manager (over the phone). Manager suggested that he we reduce the room by half with no running water to tub and shower.
The room was nice and quiet. Convenient to restaurants in downtown Pendleton. Very welcoming front desk clerk. In fact someone ate all of the the freshly made chocolate chip cookies he put out so he made a fresh batch just for us! Breakfast was adequate. Lots of parking.
Hotel was clean, but over-all dated. The pool was not open and there is NO elevator. Access location was convenient, right off freeway.
Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Enjoyed the hot tub and got a great night's sleep. Cool view of the area around Pendleton as well. Close to I-84 but not crowded or noisy.
We arrived very late we're very tired from a long drive The room smelled like cigarette smoke The next morning went to breakfast Eggs were powdery and dry All bread products were stale and rock hard Sausage links were mushy like they had been cooked in water Sausage patties were rock hard couldn't even bite into them The juices were overly watered down And when we tried to express our concerns we got the we don't care attitude that there's nothing that they can or will be able to do about it
Bathroom was clean. Dirty carpet, very uncomfortable bed, no freezer in the mini fridge. They need to provide electrical outlets on the side tables. There was only one on one side. Breakfast was barely warm. English muffin was hard as a stone (old?). Had to throw away. Stay with cereal. That can't be messed up.
Excellent and professional staff, clean room, fantastic breakfast. All the things I expect from a Best Western property. This particular hotel is far enough removed from heavy traffic to be very quiet. Good bed, somewhat dated, but very function, bathroom facilities. WiFi was very good. Would stay again in the future should the opportunity present itself. Like nearly everywhere anymore, a bit pricy. Well, if you have to pay the going rate. For me, it was free. I was taking advantage of a stay 2 nights, get 1 free offering. All good.
I am here about 4 times a year give or take. This stay was a bit unusual. The kitchen staff had to tell me how to check out. They said the manager was to be in but he was running late “as usual”. He had sent the night person home before he arrived so I had to either wait if I needed a receipt or call him later to have one emailed. Out of curiosity I asked a few questions, she had no problems letting me know how things were ran. Apparently he's late 3-4 days a week out of 5. Sometimes doesn't show up at all. Calls everyone off even when they're busy. Just because he's mad or something. Sounds to me like this guy is riding on a high horse. Just because he's manager doesn't mean take advantage of people or your guests. I use to stay at the Hampton. Maybe that's where my next visit will be. To bad good people and good ethics don't exist anymore.
This hotel has recently renovated their pet friendly rooms and they are nicely done. The only down side is that there isn't any mat/bed for your pet to sleep on and it would be nice to have a mat beside the bed, especially in the winter. The breakfast was very good and the lady working the breakfast room is just a wonderful, friendly person.
Overpriced, under construction, mediocre breakfast and pathetic cable tv channel selection (no NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox or local channels). TV was also the same issue a few months ago when I stayed there. I'm a Diamond Select w/Best Western & usually employees are trained to appreciate members like me because we have brand loyalty. I didn't complain after my last trip thinking it was just a bad couple days, but this time the stay was worse.
On the positive side the rooms were quiet and bed was comfortable. The problems I experienced were with the amenities. The hot tub had no jets and was barely warm. When I first went to use it the lights in the room were off. Next issue was the guest laundry services. To wash and dry your clothes it takes three dollars in quarters. Unfortunately they don't keep change at the front desk. As I was driving a 26' moving truck I did not want to drive to a store to get change.
Exterior doors are not keycard entry, they are just unlocked 24x7. Room smelled like urine and window was open when we arrived, which is unusual for a ground floor room. No elevator for 2nd story rooms. Only one side entrance with handicap parking spot.
The hotel is clean and has beautiful views from the back parking lot. There are a number of restaurants less than 2 miles from downtown. We found the beds comfortable and the breakfast consistent (and good) with other hotels in this range. We had checked out at 9am and had a slight emergency. I needed another hour in the room to make a few more calls. Dinesh (general manager) gave me my key back and said "no worries, check out is 11am, do what you need). Bailey checked me in and was also great. This is a good clean hotel, near the highway excellent service, good breakfast. what else can you ask? if you like Thai, I highly recommend Thai Crystal about 1.5 miles away.. A hidden gem in Pendleton Oregon!
Good night sleep. Easy check in and Friedley staff. Perfect place to stay after a day of Driving. Dinner is within walking distance. Convince store within walking distance. No Hiway noise and extra clean rooms. Thank you
Convenient and right off freeway. Easy check in. Clean room. Clean pool. Nice breakfast. Only issue was the toilet in our room wobbled a lot, and we got the 2 bedroom 3 bed suite, but were unaware there was no cooling other than a portable fan in the bedroom. It was so hot we didn't sleep well at all. I wish this would have been in the description, as we had just stayed in a similar room at a different hotel that did have AC in all rooms. Also, no TV in bedroom, not the end of the world, but made the bedroom a little less usable when we just wanted to get away from the kids for a bit :)
This is a little hard to find. The furnishings are somewhat dated but very clean. Hotel staff are very friendly and are willing to give honest suggestions about good places too eat in the town. You need to make reservations if you want to tour the woolen mill.
Our room smelled like smoke, had ripped carpet, and the beds were horrible, my back is still sore a week later! We also had a terrible odor in the hallway that smelled like sewage. We had family staying in the room next to us and they were disappointed in the beds as well.
Friendly front desk. Clean. Everything in room worked. Comfortable beds. 2 floors, no elevators. Overall good value and place to stay when in Pendleton, OR. Short 5 min drive to town. Coffee shops and restaurants looked inviting. Wal-Mart, Safeway clean and friendly. Restock and moving on.
Room was very comfortable and clean. Wish they had a safe in the room. The booklet said they had a safety deposit box at the front door but the staff said they did not. Pool could have been a little bit warmer and had more chaise lounges near the pool. I came to the hotel after a long drive and was looking to using the hot tub but it was almost empty with cold water when I arrived. The next morning, I could use it and it was much better. The side door near my room was unlocked and could be accessed by anyone, guest or not. I mentioned that to the front desk. The lady said something about fire hazard and ingress and egress. I don't understand her answer because other hotels have locked doors and guests can exit in the case of fire and the fire department can by many ways. The breakfast was OK but nothing fantastic but the lady working that area was friendly and interactive with the guests.
Decent place to stay when traveling through Pendleton. Very easy access off I-84. Most rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything worked properly in my room. Included breakfast is pretty good compared to other similar hotels. I will stay here again when traveling through the area.
Convenient, priced right, clean and comfortable. Located right off the freeway with a restaurant and gas station across the street. Safe area. Plenty of room in the room. Staff was very friendly. Good parking.
I booked a room at 6PM on a Saturday night for a 1-night stay the next night (Sunday). When I realized the next morning that our car would not start and we were stuck in Sun Valley not able to return home until we could get it fixed, I contacted the hotel directly (at 9AM) to try and cancel the room. The lady I spoke to was rude and would not bend the rules to accommodate our unfortunate situation! I'm a platinum Best Western rewards member and I've never encountered such terrible service a Best Western (or really any other hotel)! I live in Cle Elum and we often have employees stay at the SnowCap Best Western. Many times, I've had to cancel day of due to weather and they've always allowed the cancellation without charging me. Pendleton BW, not so much! Even though I'd only made the reservation less than 12 hours before, it wasn't a sold out night and it would've been no skin off their nose to simply cancel the room due to our circumstances, she wouldn't do it! We frequently make the trip from Cle Elum to Sun Valley and always stay in Pendleton there and back. Will never stay at the BW in Pendleton again!!
Clean, quiet and courteous. We stayed here over the Christmas holiday while visiting our son and his family. The beds are comfortable and the room was well appointed and quiet. The front desk people are very courteous.
Overall an okay place, but nothing to brag about. Extra 1/2 star for being pet friendly. Seemed a bit dingier (if that's a word) compared to an average Best Western. Pros: - Pet friendly Cons: - Carpets stained and a slight damp smell in room - Wifi is not secure (no password needed) - While being pet friendly, there are no outdoor garbage cans around the property at all. Had to use the hotel next door's garbage to dispose of pet waste.
I cancelled my reservation for free on booking.com. The property charged my card 5 days after my arrival date. When I called a very rude lady named Bailey argued with me and actually told me that I may have cancelled for free on booking.com but that didn't mean it was free at the hotel??? I didn't really get that one. She kept arguing that they had a 24 hour cancelation policy. I told her "I know!" I cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. She kept arguing that I must not have. Not once did she ask for my last name or reservation number. Worst hotel/motel customer service in the world, and I would know, I own a motel. I won't be staying at anymore Best Western hotels. Nice job Bailey!
Having a clean and comfortable room is priority. This Best Western was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great, the hotel staff were outstanding - professional, friendly, and a pleasure to do business with. Had a great stay!
The front desk lady was rude. She said things like the "Seattle Sea Chickens" and "Let's go Brandon". The room smelled like old cigarettes and air freshener. The side doors of the hotel do not lock, which seems like a security issue. The breakfast was decent.
This was the worst experience I have had at a hotel in a long time. After arriving to this hotel and finding the room very unclean I took pictures of it all . The desk clerk could not move us to another room. I tried to find a room in surrounding hotels but they were all full ! To top it all off someone tried to enter our room 3 times in the middle of the night! Leaving me and my daughter's feeling very unsafe. The room was very Fithy and smelly . Room had strong smell of body odors. There were stains all over curtains and beds and floors plus the floors had a bunch of burn holes in it.
We need a hotel to stay overnite before an early start to the oregon coast from Idaho, the staff was friendly, the hotel wasa clean and the breakfast was just your simple breakfast choices, we took a couple muffins and apples and were on our way , for a overnight stay you wont go wrong here.
So we booked a September trip to Pendleton for the Pendleton Round Up. We booked in the first quarter of 2022 for this particular event. The rooms were WAY over priced at 700 plus per night. Do yourself a favor favor and rent an RV or stay in another town such as Hermiston ECT.
The Pendleton Inn is one of the nicest Best Western hotels we have ever stayed in. Meticulous with a very engaged staff. Beds and linens super comfortable. Free snacks and beverages available 24/7 and tasty hot and cold breakfast items. Pets are welcome in all the rooms, not just some.
We stayed at this hotel on our way home from a trip to Washington. I was able to book a room last minute for a decent price. I loved that they offered a suite with an extra bedroom with a door. Everything was clean and we had enough towels, etc. The pool and hot tub were both clean and fun. This place is kid and dog friendly, so perfect for family travel. Breakfast was filling and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
My wife and I are traveling the country with 2 small dogs, as such we have to find pet friendly accommodations. The "pet friendly" room was disgusting, stained and ripped carpet that was poorly patched. The refrigerator leaked all over the floor and did not cool. The ice machine was broken, the front door to the hotel was supposed to me an automatic sliding door which you had to manually slide open and closed. The side doors of the hotel were not secure and the guest room doors did not automatically close. There was dried vomit in the parking lot and the most disgusting part there was what appeared to be dried semen on the guest room chair.
Negatives: lumpy bed, very noisy A/C unit + desk was right next to the A/C (couldn't handle it blowing on us), limited electrical outlets, desk clerk not especially friendly, still using single use shampoo and conditioner. Positives: 2 sinks with adequate counter space; breakfast lady was very friendly
Good location and nice hotel. Room was comfortable and pet friendly. Property was well maintained and has a nice view of the rolling hills. We would stay here again. East access to the downtown by car.
Surprisingly array of choices for breakfast. If you walk away hungry that is your fault. A little pricey, but I noticed other hotels during our travels the prices were up everywhere at most brands and locations. Nice pool, jets could be more powerful on hot tub. Polite check in . However due to having to change a reservation this created some hiccups and revealed a flaw in communications with this hotel that resulted in a late night phone call to my cell phone from an employee who didn't realize we were checked in already and proceeded to argue with me and hang up on me. So as long as your plans don't change there should be no complications or rude interactions
Clean rooms and a good breakfast are my biggest priorities for hotels. Everything was very clean, and staff was great. I really enjoyed all the good, healthy options for breakfast. Even my gluten-free mother ate some things. It was pricier than I'm used to, but so was everything else.
Best Western Pendleton, OR was a location that was easy to access from the freeway and close to downtown area. The room was comfortable and clean. Swimming pool available was clean and a nice spot to relax. Breakfast was more than we expected.
Clean, quiet and the king size bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. One thing that I would have appreciated would be to have a night stand on both sides of the bed so I had something to set my glasses and phone on.
The room was very dirty We checked in and the room was very warm The fridge was warm The linens on the bed were not clean The room stunk The counters were not wiped down There was garbage under the beds. The food at breakfast was cold.
Overall we had a pretty good experience with the Best Western Pendleton. Our destination was actually La Grande, but all hotels were booked due to it being graduation weekend. The only complaint I had was that the ac would randomly kick off and then not come back on. Overall I'd definitely stay again, just hopefully I won't have to get up in the middle of the night to restart the ac unit.
The place needs a good cleaning. Needs are ok and breakfast is just ok. Not worth $160. Didn't get room I ordered and from door you had to slide open yourself. Hard to do even your disabled. Staff is nice for the most part just excuses for everything
Heading home from Utah back to Portland this hotel was perfect for resting for the night and recharging. When I arrived there were 3 people in front of me checking in and the clerk was quick, efficient and friendly. The hotel common areas were clean as was my room. There was a second sink outside the bathroom which is nice to have if traveling with others. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and I got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was omelettes with pepper bits, sausage, you could make your own waffles, juice, yogurt, bagels, toast, cold cereal and milk, hot chocolate and coffee. A nice variety. I'd definitely stay here again.
Slow service at check in. Cleanliness standards are low. I didn't say anything at checkout just wont return. Travel to Pendleton on a regular basis. Sad service and security levels have fallen from the past. Tried to give this hotel a try again :(
It was great five years ago and it is still great today. everyone you talked to was very helpful and they seemed to enjoy working for best western. i know we will use them again. Best Western all the way.
We stayed here during our road trip from Colorado to Portland and it was amazing. Super clean, friendly staff who care about what they do, beds you could stay in for weeks, and wonderful amenities. The people working here obviously have a passion for their jobs and enjoy meeting new guests and ensuring they have great stays. Breakfast is delicious, we loved the biscuits and gravy and I wish I had tried the eggs because I heard other guests complimenting the staff on them. Overall great stay, I highly recommend this place and if we're ever back in Pendleton we will be coming back here!
I'm an elderly woman. I often travel alone. With the rooms inside I always feel much safer and very comfortable. I have a few physical limitations and they are always willing to make the accommodations safer and easier for me. I would never stay anywhere else.
Room was clean and easy to access. Coffee maker in room did not work correctly and flooded the whole counter (only white towels so cleanup was interesting). Housekeeping had tried to enter my room a few times when I was in there despite not having signs up for them. Don't think the cost met the level for rooms.
This Best Western was a great overnight stop! Clean, quiet, friendly and a good price for what you get. Beds were comfortable and we were thrilled that breakfast is back!! Biscuits and gravy, sausage and mini omelettes. Assorted cereal, breads, juices, yogurts and good coffee. And fresh bananas and apples!!
Rooms are nice, the hotel is not very quiet as I hear people walking above me all night long. Staff keeps changing but they are friendly. No elevator so you get to walk stairs if you are on second floor. Parking is good. Breakfast is good.
This was a horrible experience. There was an error in our reservation which they refused to make right! Our treatment was terrible. It was insulting and totally unsatisfactory! They give Best Western a bad name. Do not ever deal with them!
Very clean, staff is pleasant, and rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was healthy and delicious, with very kid-friendly options. My toddler and 7-year-old were both happy. Not much for gluten-free people
We are currently on a cross country move from Washington, DC to Seattle, Washington. Almost at the end of our drive. Picked the BW and was a very good choice. From our check in at around 1930 to my breakfast is been a great experience. One thing is, there us not a elevator, so make sure to pick a ground floor room if you have a problem with stairs. That is the only negative for me as I just had knee replacement surgery last year. The night desk attendant was great!! He was very helpful. We ate at a small but good Thai restaurant called Thai Crystal. Service was good, food was pretty good. Doesnt compare to my place in Texas, but it did fix my craving. Breakfast is what I expect. Warm and cold dishes. Actually had cheerios. Always a plus for me. We check put this morning and head to shop a little bit and head up to Washington.
Our second stay here and it is absolutely wonderful just like last time: so clean and tidy... housekeepers everywhere to cater to your every need (like a nice, warm extra blanket)... a fitness room with Sparklett's water dispenser and a couple machines... a breakfast spread (6-9 a.m. every day) that features really delicious omelettes, biscuits, protein bars, breads and muffins, yogurts, fresh apples and bananas... and very best of all, front desk staff like Eve who so graciously welcomed us back and made sure every little detail of our stay was just perfect. Oh yeah, hot right out of the oven cookies in the late afternoon. See you next time!
We were driving from Utah to Washington during the December snowy season and opted to stop for the night in Pendleton. The Best Western did an excellent job of getting us checked in quickly and providing us with a warm, clean quiet room for the night. The breakfast the next morning was outstanding: lots of fresh items and healthy options. It was the perfect stop to rest and recharge before continuing our journey.
Great check in, friendly staff, very clean room and good breakfast. Front desk staff went above and beyond to check road conditions for us before we set out on our next part of our travels. They were also ready to extend our stay.
The hotel itself is dated and the staff didn't seem particularly enthusiastic a about being there. Masks seem to be optional for the staff as most of them did not wear one or wore them improperly. I will stay somewhere else next time I'm in Pendleton.
Always clean and fairly decent breakfast . Staff is usually very courteous, and willing to answer any questions we might have. Beds are definitely clean and comfortable. Rooms are quiet stayed in Pendelton Oregon and Rawlings, Wyoming
Wonderful hotel, clean rooms, great breakfast. Unfortunately at check out we had six gift certificates to use that were earned through the BW rewards program. At no time was I told by the 800#, during my call to reserve room or at check in that only 5 certificates could be used. At check out, Marion said that I could only use 5 and there was nothing she could do about that. Needless to say I was not happy which is unfortunate because the rest of the hotel/stay was wonderful.
For a PET room it was great, Minus them forgetting to clean up from the previous pet accident. Besides that the room was very clean and one of the better stays I was shocked. The only down fall the rude lady that works in the morning. The lady that checked us in the NIGHT BEFORE JUST THE BEST!!!!!!
Great hotel Have stayed here several times. Very friendly check in. Room was very clean. A little noisy on the road side lots of trucks and cars on the road. Breakfast was goos as usual Employees wearing their Masks. Guests not so much. Restaurant in walking distance. Would recommend.
We were returning from a wedding in Utah and stayed in Pendleton at the end of the first of two long days of driving. This Best Western was, quite frankly, a better experience than the very pricey resort in Utah that was the wedding hotel of choice. It was easy to get to from I-84. Check-in was quick and friendly and helpful. Covid compliance was in ample evidence, which was very reassuring. Everything was clean and in working order. And the hot breakfast was available! Such a welcome surprise the morning we left. And since this location is right across the street from a Shari's Restaurant (a one-minute walk away) getting dinner for the evening was so easy. Since we were just passing through I don't now what there is to see and do in Pendleton. But if we ever need to stay there again we would absolutely return.
Stayed here for one night on the way through the area. We often stay at Best Western properties when just needing one night and this one met our expectations. Our room was spacious, clean, and had been updated with newer furniture and bedding. The hotel is about a mile out of town along the freeway, with several other chain hotels around it. We found it to be a nice walk into town for dinner. Breakfast was above average. It included biscuits & gravy, omelets & sausage, along with the standard breads, cereals, muffins and fruit. My biggest concern was the lack of enforcement of Oregon's indoor mask policy. There is a sign at the entry stating masks are required. At check in, the employee wore a mask, but not covering her nose. At breakfast, the employee restocking items was not wearing a mask. Also noticed customers in the hotel not wearing masks. I would have rated this hotel higher otherwise.
this is a pet friendly hotel we must of been put in the area that people have pets. we opened r room to go to dinner and my neighbors two dogs ran into r room and on r beds.... i think guest should be required to have dogs on leashes. same dogs were running around outside as well. all in all a nice hotel we were on first floor maybe 2nd floor if u dont have pets ? breakfast good.
Easy to reach just off the highway, very clean and up to date. Quiet and very safe stop. One complaint..a bit pricey compared to other Best Westerns we have stayed. Breakfast set up was a good selection and spaced out…clean with many choices. Bedding was okay, but have to say the pillows were not great…
Room had a great view, was clean and quiet with comfortable beds. Will stay here in the future. The only downfall to this hotel is the lack of an elevator. This fact should be prominently displayed on the website.
This is very well maintained hotel. The room was fairly spacious. It had a second sink outside the bathroom, one of our favorite features. It is a popular hotel and sometimes hard to get into The location is conveniently right of the freeway and just up the hill from downtown.
Pendleton was very busy with the Hot-Rpd-O-Rama in town. We were fortunate enough to get the last pet friendly room in the Best Western. Awesome front desk service and clean hotel. Have stayed here prior and also had a good experience.
What a great stay. Clean, quiet, excellent customer service. Breakfast "bags" were generous and varied choices for a 4 night stay. The pool and hot tub were a welcome respite after golfing in the heat wave that was in progress. Will stay again on our next stop in Pendleton!
My family suffered a breakdown. I had called them with credit card information and they would not let them in a room. I was five hours away and they had to hang out in the hot van until I could get there. I have a baby under one a four-year-old and eight-year-old and two other teenagers. When I showed up it was absolute chaos. I want to thank these people for there understanding and helpfulness. NOT. Also when checking in I was treated poorly and stared at dumbly like what was I doing there. If I knew her name I would let you know. I believe this place is overpriced and overrated. They did have A nice banana for breakfast. There are plenty of places to stay at other than this one and I would do just that if I were you.
If you must have an elevator if you aren't on the first floor . Water pressure was was questionable at best. Either too cold or too hot, was not up to best western standards. Appears I must complain more in this box. A little complain it doesn't satisfy them.
The room seems very clean, and was nicely quiet. My only gripe is about the exercise room. The multistation unit is old, worn, and not adjustable--it needs to be replaced. Location is convenient. The breakfast in a bag is nothing special; hopefully they can soon go back to normal breakfast.
Overpriced for the musty dirty old rugs in the room. Everything else was decent and we could sleep once we thoroughly aired out the room and disinfected it. Mattresses were nice. The room had every amenity expected. We had to remove nine spiders floating in the hot tub.
The Best Western Pendleton Inn is quiet and relaxing, with beautiful views of the Blue Mountains. There was a softball tournament going on the weekend that I was there, with many families and young people at the hotel, yet I didn't hear any noise at all above or around me.They're pet friendly, with plenty of places around the hotel for puppers to walk.
The place is old and grungy... carpet stained, no lock on side entry, etc. Charged $25 for pet and since carpet was stained, knew they do nothing extra in way of cleaning when pets are in room. Poor insulation as people above up sounded like a herd of elephants. Would not choose again.
This hotel is fine, for a 3 star. It is not cheap at all for the amenities and value. Bed is old. There were rips in the curtains! PROs: The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Great location too.
Best place to stay. I know if it is a Best Western it will be clean, safe, comfortable, with great employees, and I will feel safe and sleep good in their comfortable beds. I never stay at any other hotels unless I can not find a Best Western.
Best Western Pendleton had decent rates for the service and rooms you receive. Very happy to have stopped there. The beds, room and showers were very clean, the motel was quiet. It was the best nights rest we got on our business trip.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights. The housekeeping staff keep everything spotless in the common areas and the rooms. The bed was one of the best we have had. The service is excellent. The staff are friendly and courteous.
What an absolutely fantastic BestWestern, sparkling clean and freeway-close. Everything here just shines it's all so clean. We were fortunate enough to get a Diamond Select-upgraded room from friendly Marian, even though booking at the last-minute. It was a double King (separate bedroom with a door for second King) with a wet-bar, microwave and refrigerator, bath tub – even screened windows that open for a breeze. Rooms are very, very large. Breakfast is Grab ‘n Go – but you get to select what you want from a wall-mounted menu: hard-boiled eggs, yogurts, little 2% milk cartons, fruit cups, bagels and apples. Special thanks to Rhonda on the Front Desk for getting us in so smoothly and Maggie at breakfast.. One caution, no elevator – but the view from our second-floor room was spectacular with the snow-fall. We shall return!
The king bed was very comfortable, I slept like I was in my own bed at home. The staff was Amazing! Location is great near the I84, Wild Horse Casino and Restaurants. Very Quiet - didn't hear any noise!
The hotel was safe and clean. I was pleasantly surprised at their breakfast option as they had the options listed on a white board and you told the staff person what you wanted and they would bag it for you. So nice to have options rather than a standard pre-filled bag. All the staff were so pleasant and wonderful to deal with. Lovely location that I highly recommend.
Staff were extremely friendly and the facility was very clean. Checking abs checking out was simple and fast. There's a Shari's right across the street that does takeout due to COVID. The continental breakfast covered our needs. I would stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel on October 9th, 2020. We felt safe and the room was very clean. Our room was on the first floor which made it very easy to bring things in from the car and we had two doors to choose from. There isn't much around there for food, so we had pizza delivered and didn't starve!
We stayed one night here on our way to Phoenix. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and coffee was excellent. Grab and go breakfast was great. Check in clerk was not wearing a mask...Next stop in Nephi not so much...
The rooms were up to date, clean, and well stocked. House keeping was spot on. Located right off the interstate, so that was great. Gas station and grocery stores were also nearby. I would advise anyone to who is passing through the area to check it out.
Clean and quiet property near gas, food and freeway. Friendly helpful staff. My only complaint was a lack of outlets in the room. We had 2 cpap machines to plug in plus assorted electronics and the only plug ins were either on the tiny nightstand that already had a clock and lamp on it or near the sink outside the bathroom. Other than that minor inconvenience everything was great
This was an average hotel, and not very comfortable. The mini fridge was noisy, so we had to shut it off. Seems like older property with poorly done updates. (Cheap bathroom faucet and small utility sink in room counter.) Location was quiet though. Would NOT stay here again.
It's kind of unfair to rate a property during this COVID pandemic but, if the property's going to be open, it's important for others to know what to expect. This BW is located just off the freeway up a hill and next to a couple other chain motels so there is incentive for staff to be friendly and helpful (which they were). It's also a bit unfair to mention the aroma inside the property when smoke from forest fires further west is blanketing everything in sight. In truth, the only odor that was overpowering was the disinfectant which you almost can't (and shouldn't) escape while traveling during these times. The pool area was closed during our visit. Pendleton's "downtown" area is about a mile down hill and the Pendleton Wool Mill is also about a mile away in a different direction. Breakfast during COVID is a bagged breakfast with not too much choice and small servings of beverages (milk or juice). Overall, this was just a pit stop for us on the way to Portland and this BW served that purpose well. It is pet friendly with ample space to walk the dog. You could do a lot worse which makes this place a good choice.
This is a great value! The staff was very attentive. The rooms were very clean! And having an outdoor pool is a huge plus. And grocery stores, shopping and playfields were fairly close. So it was a great location.
The beds and pillows are comfortable. The staff was very personable. The room was clean with extra coffee. Breakfast was a grab bag because of COVID 19. The only down fall is the location to downtown/ old town.
After a long exhausting road trip we needed to find someplace to sleep for the night. I looked up hotels in the area and found there was a Best Western so went there hoping they had a vacancy and allowed pets which turned out to be yes on both. The desk clerk was friendly, accommodating and we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, bathroom and linens.
Don't do it. Go across the street to The Oxford. This hotel smells like cigars, has uncomfortable beds, only 2 very small pillow and minimal water pressure. Hot breakfast? Ha! Don't even think about it, it's not available.
Ultra clean, exceptionally polite staff. Would definitely stay here again. Plenty of room for parking with bigger rigs, room for the dog to walk & do business without being right near the doors & other distractions. Recommend to anyone
We always stay at this BW Hotel. It's clean, nicely decorated, and have never had any issues when staying here. We like returning to the same place and know what to expect. Breakfast is great and, even during coronavirus pandemic, they provided individual breakfast bags to go! Well done!
The Pendleton Best Western Plus was taking extra cleaning and social distancing precautions which made my wife and I more comfortable during our one night stay. We would certainly stay here again under normal conditions!
Over all experience was exellant.:) Ladies at front desk were excellent,as in helpful, and their over all appearance was professional.:) We have stayed at this location eight nights, always a great experience.
A bit spendy than other hotels. At first we found it fine, comfortable and clean. The morning of our departure we found bugs in the bed (not bed bugs some other small creature). We did not report to the staff as we were leaving. The breakfast was good, hot and tasty. Several options to choose from.
Hotel holds up to the name. The Best in the West. Everything you need under one roof. Hot tub, good internet, fitness center. Outstanding food, including a complementary breakfast and snacks throughout the day.
Pendleton is a good place to stay on your I-84 car trip. This place is just off the highway, and has a Shari's and a gas station across the street. It is not close to downtown, but is perfect if you are just on your way through. The rooms are clean and good-sized and everything is in good repair. The free breakfast is typical. The express check-ins and outs work well. There is a fitness center with hot-tub; the pool is outdoors and not available during the winter.
I had a really nice time there. The check in was fantastic the girl was very knowledgeable and nice. The room was clean and quite. The breakfast was very good plenty of food and kept clean. Check out was fast and the gentleman was polite.
Although the hotel rooms are a little dated everything works great and is very clean. They have a lot of little perks to make your stay enjoyable. They offered soup and cookies in the evening and a good breakfast the next morning. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this hotel as one of the best in the area.
Delise at front desk was very nice and helpful with check out and she also faxed several important documents for me. Thank you so very much. The hotel was very clean and the room was warm and comfortable when I checked in. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. We could walk down to the well stocked buffet staffed with two people. Next time I visit Pendleton I will definitely stay at the Best Western.
Very pleasant experience fro check in to check out. Our room was very quiet, roomy and very clean. The bed was so comfy, too. Breakfast had a lot of variety and was tasty. I had to contact them the night I made my reservation because I made an error and I was connected to a wonderful person who helped me out. She checked us in when we arrived and was just as delightful. Will stay there again absolutely
This hotel was convenient, clean and comfortable. The front desk gal was phenomenal!! Very pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful. Nice soup in the evening besides a good breakfast in the morning. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
This isi our second time to stay at the Best Western in Pendleton, and we enjoyed this stay even more than the first. The breakfast has everything one could hope for, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the people who work at the hotel are friendly and accommodating. We'll stay here again for sure!
Stayed two nights. Room very clean and well appointed. Has small kitchen sink outside bathroom with mirror. Just like a double vanity. Huge included breakfast. Good internet. Will stay there again. Excellent restaurant across road for lunch, dinner.
I have stayed at the Pendleton Best Western 3 times so far in 2019 and I have been extremely happy each time. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms and lobby are very nice and clean. Good job Pendleton staff!!
This is your typical Best Western. Our room was clean and comfortable. We liked having a sink outside the bathroom and also a sink inside the bathroom. They provide soup and cookies in the late afternoon/evening (while supplies last). The breakfast had the usual items, nothing special. The location is conveniently located right off the freeway. Dining options are limited unless you drive into town.
This hotel was an older property, but the rooms were spacious and well maintained. Our room even had a wet bar. Everything was comfortable and clean. The staff members were super friendly and helpful. We thought this was one of the nicer standard motels that we stayed in. The breakfast was quite good with lots of choices. It was far enough from the freeway to be quiet. It was a good stay.
The hotel itself was fine, room was nice, etc. However, it was the end of our trip and I looked forward to using my BW points for the first time. As I have stayed at BW quite a few times, my room was supposed to be free. Not a chance. I called for a reservation while at the hotel, and involved the clerk at the counter, and everyone said I more than qualified. In fact, the person on the phone said she didn't need to talk to the hotel clerk standing in front of me as it was easy to use my points. Famous last words. We spent over an hr trying to use them, she ended up calling the BW customer service a number of times, who would just transfer her from one person to another, and having to wait about 15 min for ea transfer. Finally, she said just give me your credit card and you can go to your room while I work on this when its quieter. Foolishly, but exhausted, I agreed. She couldn't use my points. And she could not do it the following morning before I left. She said she would contact me when the points were granted. Its been a wk, I never heard from her again, and now my bill at BW says I owe them the money for the room. What good are the points? Very not happy.
I was in town for training. I found the rooms to be very comfortable and clean. The morning breakfast server's were all wonderful happy to help and quick to refill food. I was very pleased to see choices for a diabetic, dairy free and Gluten free person. To my surprise they also offer evening soup and cookies (while supplies lasted) in the breakfast area. They also keep coffee and hot water available all day. The hotel is very conveniently located right off I-84. A lot of noise durning the day from the Hwy. with the window open, but otherwise it is nice and quiet place to stay.
After my bad e experience with Marigold Hotel, I head to this hotel. Very efficient staff. One gal doing it all but she handled herself well. Busy place. Snacks were wonderful. Clean room. Since I didn't have time to eat breakfast, I was given a snack lunch when checking out. Wonderful experience and easy on and off access from the main highway. Restaurants and gas station near by. Good location.
A lot of small pluses that add up to a fine visit. The welcome at the desk, the layout of what was in fact a smallish room, but smartly furnished to take advantage of every bit of space. Clean, of course, and quiet too. Breakfast better than expected--"fried eggs, omelets, lean sausage, but (alas) no plain oatmeal. Well situated, just above the city and close to amenities. Friendly staff throughout. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Loved it! The room was clean and smelled really nice. Bed was warm and comfy. Wi-Fi was strong. But the best part was the hospitality. Soup and crackers when we arrived. Say what?! That was outstanding. The breakfast was really good, too. Keep up the good work, Best Western!!
Prearranged room near entrance so didn't need to walk far. Large comfortable room, clean. Easy chair and ottoman and office chair provided seating to watch TV, Large walk-in shower, with great water pressure. Bed proved to be a bit too soft for us. Assorted breakfast choices including biscuits and gravy. But omelttes were premade, frozen and spongy.
We stopped on our way home from Boise. Very nice overnight. Clean and the staff was welcoming. Bed was actually comfortable. Wifi was good and the area was quiet. We would stay here again on our way home from visiting our daughter in Mountain Home.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western in Pendleton, Oregon. The lady at the front desk was wonderful and we received a discount because my husband is a veteran. She thanked him for his service which meant a lot to him. She upgraded our room because it was our anniversary. Lovely room and enjoyable stay.
Would give a higher rating if I could. Excellent all the way around. Great room. Excellent breakfast. Everything was above & beyond. Staff was great also. If you are looking for a good place to stay this would be it!!
Check in was smooth, room was close to access door and was a great room over all. Small problem because of a new clerk without good supervision during training, but I think a lesson was learned. Would stay here again without a second thought. Breakfast was great also
We prepaid over $1300 dollars for a specific room we had used for the past 15 years. Didn't get the room and got attitude instead. Noisy air conditioner, refridgerater, stains on chair and bed spread. This is not what this property is normally like!
Super friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast was much better than most motels. Very quiet location just off I-84, on a street of half a dozen motels. This was a return visit for us after having a great experience here several months ago. If we're traveling through again, this will be our motel of choice. Also, you can't beat the view of the valley from the parking lot.
Room: 1 King Bed A three night stay during the week in a one King Bed room. The hotel is located in a new development off Hwy 11 just north of Pendleton near gas stations and other hotels. The room is located down a long hallway from the lobby and nears the doors to the parking lot. It near the fitness center and the ice and vending machines. A large room with a compact bathroom, a coffee maker, another sink by the bathroom, a microwave in the cabinet with the flat screen TV and a small refrigerator. Two nightstands with lamps, one has a clock radio, and the other has a charging station for your electronics. A small closet and three drawers in the TV cabinet to put your clothes away. A table and two chairs with a free standing lamp, and free Wi-Fi and cable TV complete the room. The room has air conditioning with variable controls. The window faces out to the parking lot and you have to close the curtains for privacy. It is fairly quite at night, except for the ice machine and the sound of heavy trucks on the highway. A number of nice features including an outdoor pool and hot tub, an exercise room, and a guest laundry room. A buffet breakfast is served in the morning and can include eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, make your own waffles, etc. Cookies and soup are available in the evening after 5PM. Staff was friendly and helpful with my requests. A good value for Pendleton, slightly out of town and near the freeways, with a friendly staff.
Always like the Best Western hotels. This one doesn't have an elevator, which is unusual for me. But the breakfast was decent and the room was pleasing. Staff was great. Slept pretty decent. No issues at all.
I usually stay at this location when Im in town for business, the hotel is always clean and accommodating. the hotel is next to a couple options for meals of by going back down the hill into Pendleton main street there are lots of options for meals. Pendleton has lots to offer as a destination, with a museum and shops for western wear etc. I particularly like the Hamleys' restaurant, in town as well as the farm store to just roam around in and browse the farm type merchandise in the evening.
We usually stay at BWs and this was one of the best. The staff were friendly and outgoing, the pool was a nice size and after a long day of driving, an asset for relaxation and exercise. The breakfast had a nice variety of foods and the coffee was great. The room was clean, bed comfortable and the hotel is far enough from the interstate that we could not hear the traffic. My only complaint was the ice maker wasnt functioning properly but I was able to get ice. Thank you for making our last night/day of vacation enjoyable.
This Best Western has an elevator! The room was well decorated and very quiet. Bed was comfortable. They have a managers meal for free in the evening and it was satisfactory. Breakfast was the usual "free" motel food. The staff was very helpful.
The building has the appearance of having good maintenance and upkeep as soon as you enter the parking lot. It is an attractive brown wooden building with an outside swimming pool and partially enclosed hot tub. There are other hotels on the street, but I think this is the most attractive of all of them. I have read some of the reviews where people complain about not having an elevator at this hotel, but the hotel clearly indicates on its website that it does not have an elevator. If people don't want to walk up steps with a suitcase, then they should choose a different hotel or a first floor room. I advise all potential guests to any hotel to carefully read its website to see what amenities it has and does not have. The guest room itself is beautiful. It is very cozy in shades of brown, with very attractive furnishings. The carpeting is quite lovely, as are the interior corridors of the building. One added plus is that they have a wing of the building designated as child- and pet-free. We loved that feature. For the first time ever, I was actually greeted on a paper notice board in the lobby. I thought it was quite nice to see my name up on the board as a guest and to be welcomed personally in that way. I could see that the women who worked behind the front desk enjoyed their work and also worked hard to help please guests. I saw them scrubbing pans and cleaning up after serving a snack of soup and cookies to guests. The parking lot is very good with lots of parking spaces outside of the hotel. Dinner tip: Go down 84 to the next exit east of the hotel to the Indian reservation's Wild Horse Casino for a dinner buffet. We thought it was a good value, and there was plenty to choose from. As a diamond member of the chain, I found that this was one of the nicest regular Best Western inns I've been to. Overall, we were quite pleased with this hotel and will definitely return here for another visit when we are in the area.
We have enjoyed most all of the Best Westerns that we have stayed, which are several. Pendleton was one of the best and definitely will be staying there again soon! They even feed you 2 different soups and cookies and milk at 5:30 pm!
This property has wonderful staff. The hotel is very clean. The pool and hot tub were great, clean & in working order. The breakfast was wonderful, hot & cold options. The soup and cookies in the evening were a nice surprise. The room was clean, quiet, and everything was in working order. Bed was firm but comfortable. I would stay here again and highly recommend.
Other than being a little pricey, I really enjoyed my stay. The beds were very clean and comfortable. Room was clean. You couldn't hear anyone else in the hotel from the room. The room was large with a comfortable chair and desk to work at. Overall I had a very nice stay, and will be staying again next week when I come through
We decided to stay in Pendleton on our way to Eugene. We had a lovely, cool, quiet room. The temp outside was 104 degrees, so the air conditioning ran constantly, but it was quiet enough to sleep. The breakfast was good, and the staff was polite. We will stay there again.
Very happy with our choice to stay here the night before. Comfortable bed, quiet room, unexpected (2) soups and cookies I think at 4, although no vegan, gluten free options for me, I didn't ask however.
Very clean, great staff and good views. The pool area is perfect. Great breakfast plus they offer soup or stew at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby. And offer cookies and milk. Good cable T.V. There is a resturant accross the street. The staff were very helpful and overall this was one of the best BW I've stayed at.
Ensure you get a conformation and firm rate when booking the room. The rate was almost double when booking directly vs. on line. The establishment was clean but old. The water would not hold temperature when in the shower, the A/C was noisy. No elevator. Not even close to Best Western Standards.
we travel through montana, wyoming, idaho and oregon. Each of the hotels was different but had a great stay. Our home away from home. the food was great. we look forward to stay with Best western next time we take off.
Do yourselves a favor when traveling to Pendleton. Stay at the best western. You won't be sorry. The customer service is awesome and the food is wonderful . They feed you breakfast and a lite dinner. Saves you money and adds value to your stay
We got stranded on I-84E and the staff was amazing! They sent a cab out for us to pick us up at their expense from the local repair shop, bent over backwards to accomodate us and then paid for the cab to take me back to the repair shop. This all happened all on the 4th of July.
Great BW and easy to find. Very welcoming when we arrived. Clean, spacious room and quiet. Nice breakfast in the morning. 5 minutes or less to the downtown area. Gas stations close by. Biker friendly letting us park our bikes near the front entrance. When passing through Pendleton, will stay at the BW again.
great place, easy access on and off the freeway, good breakfast and snacks provided, friendly staff and rooms were quiet. Have stayed here for over 10 years on our trips through, the good service has been the same.
Even though there was an odor problem which was handled this is one of the best BW's we stay at.Very hospitable staff and service employees. It has a geat location to travel out to the many activities in the area.
Hotel feels old and dark. Needs an elevator to get luggage up and down stairs (or somebody to help with luggage). Friendly hotel staff and good breakfast. Probably would not stay here again as there are better options closeby.
We have the membership of Elite and like the fact that they recognize regulars by having a bottle of water and a snack ready for when we arrive. This BW does and we appreciate it. This BW is a little small in the breakfast area, but still good food and options.
We stayed in the Best Western in Pendleton partly on a whim, being tired after 6 hours of driving. We like the Best Western chain but were a bit worried about the hotel being close to the highway. Turned out this was NOT a concern at all - the hotel was quiet and offered all the other amenities we've come to expect from Best Western - a clean, comfortable room; friendly staff; and a decent breakfast to start off the day.
We have been staying here for the past 20 years attending Hodaka Days in Athena, Oregon. Always a great experience. Its really like "Home sweet Home" for us! Breakfast is really easy, fast and good. Nice outdoor pool on the west side. Wonderful to swim as the sun sets. Pendleton can get really toasty in the summer so the pool is really a asset. Enjoy watching the Sun come up over the Blue Mountains in the morning. Love the area!
Very old fashioned hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast good. Our room was located on the 2nd floor which meant that we had to carry our luggage: no elevator. Good for a stop-over but do not expect too much.
I have stayed numerous nights over the past 30 years in Best Western Hotels and each stay has been excellent. I have never encountered an unpleasant employee; actually just the opposite, as they have always been very pleasant.
If you don't mind continental breakfast, with a few small extras, and you like clean, comfortable, quite, and friendly places to stay, then this motel is PERFECT! A little outdated, but a warm feel. Great for the price!
We try to avoid Pendleton whenever possible, but there is a long stretch of I-84 that offers nothing in the way of good accommodations, so sometimes Pendleton is the best you can do. This is about comparable to the Holiday Inn Express next door and probably not much different than the other choices. It is ok, but it won't be the highlight of your trip.
A last minute visit to visit family and see my grandson graduate. I was able to make a last minute reservation easily. The staff were extremely cordial and made sure I had everything I needed. WiFi worked great, and phone reconnected every time I came back to the property. They served a wonderful full sized breakfast. Check in and Check out was quick and easy.
We were forced to stay in a Super 8 two nights before arriving at The Best Western in Pendleton. It was an awful experience so we were delighted to arrive at the BW Pendleton and be able to see immediately that we were going to have great accommodations. The hotel was clean and beautiful; the reception staff was efficient and welcoming; the room was beautiful and had a jet tub (delightful!); and the breakfast the next two mornings were delicious. And here's the best part - all this excellence at a price less than our awful stay at a Super 8. Why go with anyone other than Best Western?
We stayed at the Best Western on our last leg of our trip home. Lydia, at the front desk, was so helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable which made our stay even better. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety of items to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Great value for the room, nice rooms, very clean, all around nice place. Overall the breakfast is very good, biscuits and gravy are one of my bellwether meals to rate a restaurant and they nailed it! If the timing is right, we'll definitely stay there again.
Great service from all staff members. We really enjoyed the evening soup and cookies. The clam chowder was actually some of the best I have ever had. The biscuits and gravy in the morning were also as good as they were the first time I had them.
Lost our transmission near Deadmans Pass- towing recommended Best Western and we were so glad! We were welcomed at the front desk and given many accommodations because of our trouble. So appreciative of your front desk and their care! We felt welcomed when we were weary and they arranged a late check out to make sure we had time to get our truck problems figured out and rent a car so we could continue to our sons graduation. We were back a week later to spend another night before picking up our truck--it was lovely then, too! Breakfast is great, hot tub wonderful and staff amazing!
Very clean and friendly staff. Easy on and off the interstate. Breakfast was very good. I like the goody bag they gave us. We stay here a couple of times a year and will continue to do so. It is convenient to restaurants and gas stations.
Stayed here one night with our dog. Nice clean room with king bed. A little small, but okay. Table & 2 chairs. Small sink outside the bathroom. Pleasant check-in guy--allowed us to check in early. Coffee available all day & cookies at 6:00. Fields on 2 sides are good for a dog. (Motel is on the edge of town.) Quieter than expected at night--both inside and out. Trucks parked nearby but they didn't start up super early (maybe because it was a Friday night/Saturday morning?). Breakfast was okay--both hot and cold items. Eating area was an ok size, but probably not if a lot of guests had showed up at the same time.
This is a really nice hotel. the thing that makes it for me is that it is perched on a ridge with a view over the countryside that is worth a million bucks. Rooms are nice and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is good and the general appearance of the hotel is really nice. But being able to look out of your room or take a walk on the edge of the property and you get the most spectacular countryside to look at. I stay here every time I'm in the area.
Best Western hotel in Pendleton OR is an excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. This hotel features soup and milk and cookies every evening at 6:00 on a first come first serve basis. Great deal to have a light dinner included in your room rate as well as a hot breakfast buffet in the morning.
Whenever we visit Pendleton, we always stay at the Best Western Pendleton Inn. The service is friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. And they're an immaculately kept, dog-friendly facility. Plus, they make hot soup and cookies available in the evenings.
After a long day on the road with snow and cold this was a great place. Our room was spacious, the staff was friendly to the max, and the breakfast was the best we've had at a hotel. Everything was spotless and comfortable. Marvelous stop!
We stayed here while traveling through Oregon and were pleasantly surprised by all aspects of the place. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean, quiet, and well stocked. The breakfast was surprisingly good, not just those weird powdered eggs and fake waffle stuff. Very happy with our stay.
We were very pleased by this hotel. We stayed there with our dog and were expecting a "basic" accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised with lots of parking, a large area to walk our dog, clean and spacious rooms and very friendly staff. Anna at the front desk was very helpful in suggesting a place for dinner. Breakfast the following morning was very good as well with fresh hot food. A great experience over-all. We definitely recommend this hotel!
Best bang for your buck. Very professional, polite, quick, clean. If it were not for the evening soup and cookies offered to guests I would have said it was over priced by 15 dollars.I stay in hotels through out the United States 3 to 4 nights a week, this Best Western was added to our company stay list.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in early February. This Best Western recognizes reward program guests by writing their first names and last initial on a whiteboard next to the front desk. Nice touch! Our spacious room included a large refrigerator and microwave. The extra kitchen sink located outside our bathroom was also a nice surprise. Complimentary breakfast was above average as it included premade omelettes, sausage, biscuits & gravy and waffles. Their free coffee was also much better than the substandard "boiled socks" brew that we had recently experienced at other hotels! Our in-room Wi-Fi was strong and it included a password, which was great as this provides extra security. We also took advantage of the onsite guest laundry facilities. KaSandra at the front desk took the time to explain many local attractions. Her kindness even inspired us to join the rewards program! Special thanks to Gris from the housekeeping team for keeping our room spotless and immaculate. Our favorite part though was the complimentary soup along with milk and cookies at 6:00pm. What a unique and memorable way to show appreciation for your guests! We would definitely stay here again when visiting Pendleton in the future.
This was a great hotel, especially for the area. We had some trouble with the on line reservations but the hotel clerk, Grace, helped us out with the 800 number. She also made sure we could be on the first floor as this hotel does not have an elevator. They have soup and cookies available after 6 pm. They also have packets of hot cocoa and apple cider available. Breakfast was excellent. They had biscuits and gravy, omelets, bacon, sausage, cereal and muffins. They even had a few gluten free options. Grace also helped us out with restaurants in the area. She suggested a good one, OMG Burger.
Decent hotel and rooms. Located in the heart of Pendleton. Close to all restaurants and shopping and the fairgrounds. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was your typical continental breakfast.
Stayed here on our way home from Christmas vacation to the grandparents. Very nice hotel. We always chose Best Western first. Never disappointed. Great prices as well. The breakfast selection was typical. Wish this one had an omelet bar.
We set out in Laramie Wy. early am and drove through to Pendleton Or. to beat the anticipated snowfall over the Blue's. It worked and we enjoyed the comfort of the Best Western in Pendleton. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was by far the best we had on our travels across country with a variety of items that were fresh and warm.
While the hotel itself is somewhat ordinary, the owner/manager has taken great pains to make it extraordinary from offering soup free of charge in the evening and cookies, coffee and tea, to boot, we loved our stay here. Bed was comfortable, hotel was quiet, Shari's restaurant was right across the street, and the toiletries provided were first rate. You will certainly feel welcome here!
We arrived at 8:00 PM and were received as welcome guests. There was hot soup, cookies, and hot beverages available. The room was comfortable and attractive. The breakfast was very satisfactory. We had never stopped here before but will definitely stop here again.
We've stayed at this motel several times. They have the best breakfast in any motel we stay at. People that work there are always friendly and helpful. Location is right off the freeway but not close enough to hear any traffic.
Chip checked us in. Super friendly guy. He gave us all the info we needed and showed us to the cookies and hot drinks and even complimentary hot soup was available. Room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was clean. Beds comfy. Also great price. Breakfast had lots of option even gluten free. Couldn't ask for more. Our new go to hotel when stopping in Pendleton.
We were pleased with our stay at this motel. Breakfast choices were outstanding, and soup and milk & cookies are offered in the evening. Our room was very clean, and bed and pillows were good. Nice hot water with good pressure in the shower. Don't hesitate to stay here!
My only complaint was the gentleman that check me in. He was not a very personable person. The room was one of the best looking rooms I have been in. Great location to the highway, and very quite in my room.
The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean and quiet at the Best Western in Pendleton, Oregon. We will stay here when we come back to Pendleton Oregon. I don't have anything else to add but I cant stop because TripAdvisor requires the review to be a minimum of 200 words but what else is there to say except that is a silly requirement of TripAdvisor. I know I don't want to read a long drawn out review, I prefer short and to the point...unlike this one. Hopefully this is long enough and I can now get back to work and stop jacking around with a review. I will remember this the next time yall want a review - it takes way too long and I may just say to heck with it!
We always stay at BW because we know we will have clean rooms, comfortable beds & a bountiful breakfast to look forward to in the AM. Staff are always friendly & courteous. Great Hotels, haven't had a bad one yet. Jackie Fletcher
Room was clean and decent and area was perfect for a quick on and off the I84. Only a few minutes to the big casino too! Good sized room with all the needed bathroom amenities. Breakfast was good too including hot and cold choices. Check in was quick and easy. This BW had soup and cookies in the evening.
My wife and I, along with our dog, stayed here for four (4) nights. We choose this hotel because it was pet friendly, and it seemed like they catered to travelers with pets. All of the pet friendly rooms are together, so a couple of barking dogs do not disturb the entire hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, but the lighting in the rooms was poor, and the carpet was extremely worn with one (1) large (poorly done) patch job in the middle of the floor. Breakfast was a little better than I expected. Overall, if I was staying in this area again and traveling with a pet, I would choose this hotel.
Very nice clean rooms and helpful staff. Really enjoyed the soup after a long drive. We were told if you went to Shari's restaurant across the street and show them your room key you get a free slice of pie with your meal. Just passing thru and we wish we could have stayed a little bit longer to visit the town.
We stayed one night at the Pendleton Best Western, but we will definitely stay there again. The hotel was spotless, the room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a step above our expectations, so we were very pleased with our stay. We did have a little problem with the first room we were given and the hotel staff immediately gave us an upgraded room. When we checked out, Gracelyn (who was at the front desk) gave us a discount as a way of saying sorry for the inconvenience - we were really impressed with the gesture (and with the savings too). This is a very nice place to stay.
We stay here every year on our way back from St George Utah. I play softball at the Huntsman World Senior Games. We always like to eat at the Rooster in town for dinner the night we arrive. It has become a regular ritual with my wife and I.
My family had two rooms here. They were clean and quiet. The hotel has two floors, but no elevator as far as I could tell. So if you have trouble with stairs, make sure to reserve a first floor room. The breakfast buffet had many tasty choices and the breakfast serving area was very clean and well-attended by the staff. Check-in was smooth and quick, even though we arrived late. Express check-out meant even greater savings in time -- no need to go to the desk. Just leave the keys in the room. But perhaps the best feature of this hotel is that they had dust mite/bed bug-proof mattress covers. The Pendleton Inn was the first of 7 hotels we stayed in on a cross-country trip, and it was the ONLY one with such covers. If a hotel truly is serious about preventing bed bug infestations, they must use these. Thank you, Pendleton Inn!
Excellent experience at this motel, would recommend it over all other motels in the area. I stay here several times throughout the year and will continue to do so for years to come. My family and I truly enjoy the friendly staff and the clean rooms.
The staff is great. The rooms are great. The food is great. Need I say more? I have stayed at lots of hotels, this is a very comfortable and quiet place to stay in Pendleton area. No need to go far from your room, there is a restaurant and gas station across the street so you can be ready to head out to your next adventure!
First off, the only thing keeping it from a perfect 5 out of 5 is the lack of a recycling container in the room; that will always mark a place down for me. We were on the second floor in a king bedded room and it was very comfortable. I liked the sink both inside and outside the bathroom so two of us could use it at the same time. it was on the back side so it was quiet. As a rewards member, I used points to get a free night and I do wish I could remember the name of the lady at the front desk who helped me. She was a delight; great sense of humor and she knew what she was doing. (Leslie or something like that; she had bluish green hair which complimented what she was wearing.) Anyway, I really enjoyed her welcoming attitude on both days. Lastly, food. Breakfast had a couple of different kinds of eggs as well as a couple of different kinds of meats and pancakes. They also had a waffle maker which was being cranky, so I skipped it. Overall, it was exactly what I needed. The evening we arrived however, they had a couple of different soup options along with milk and cookies, which was a pleasant surprise. I don't remember that from last time, so that's a nice addition and one I hope they keep.(The offerings the night we were there were chicken noodle and cream of potato) So, again, a great stay, one I expect we'll repeat our next time through town.
Beds including overall room layout, cleanliness, and comfort - excellent. The rooms are very efficient. Staff is incredible from check-in through checkout. Breakfast is the best hot self-service that one can experience. Selections cover the gamut from omelette to waffles, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, fruits and cereals. The place is quiet and well located for freeway acces as well as downtown. Overall-well done Best Western!!!
My husband and I have stayed in alot of BW properties and I would say this one is average. It has all your necessity's and accepts pets. However one thing that we did not like about this hotel was that that the back door did not lock. So basically just anyone could walk in. Which made us feel very unsafe. Otherwise the stay was good but, could use some updating.
Great hotel staff but they know they're on a busy highway and charge accordingly. I don't understand owners who are making a premium in a small town that over price rooms without updating them. Update the rooms to match the price and you'll get good reviews or in other words at least give you your money worth.
This was a very very last minute trip. We were asked to go to LaGrande at 6:00 pm and I had to pack and find a hotel and drive four hours to get there. So being able to get a hotel and do everything in a short time was crucial for me to get enough sleep and drive the next morning.
Nice, new, hotel that has a pleasing look and feel. Sold out when we checked in and the parking lot was very busy. This hotel takes dogs as long as you let them know up front. Room was spacious and clean. Check in was caring and friendly. They offer breakfast but we opted for another option. Rooms next to lot can be noisy as people leave very early and the car is right in front of your room. Also if downstairs you can hear people walking around.
This was a great place to stop with the family. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, the breakfast was good, they had soup and cookies in the evening, the service was good, and the rooms were clean. Would stay here again.
This Best Western is clean, comfortable and quiet. They have an excellent breakfast and nice pool and spa. I would definitely stay here again. The check in clerk was kind of grumpy, but the staff in the morning we're very friendly! The spa is in it's it' covered area, so you don't get baked by the sun while in it.
I had some minor surgery on a Friday and just needed somewhere to rest and recover, and not have to be out in the world. I took my food with me, and absolutely loved the comfort of my bed, having such a nice bathroom, and ice just down the hall. It was private, comfortable, and very affordable.
This was my second time staying at this hotel, and once again, a great value. They offere express check-in and check out, a nice outdoor pool, plenty of parking, and is somewhat convenient to downtown Pendleton. Definitely choose this Best Western over the one in La Grande!
Motel was easy to find,. Reception at checkin was excellent. All services were included. Laundry, very clean, on second floor. BUT, no elevator. Stairs are very wide, so easy up and down, evenb.c.with a bad knee.
So you know who was traveling - two married adults and two teen age (boy/girl) children. The hotel location was close to the highway, and it was quiet. The rooms were clean and came with a small fridge and separate sink outside of the bathroom. There were no rooms with two beds and a pull out couch. The breakfast had a variety of food including chobani yogurt and small containers of almond and soy milk. There were pre-made omelettes and microwaved bacon. There were also biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, and oatmeal. The doors to the outside did not lock, but the front desk woman assured me there was nothing to worry about.
We travel quite a bit and often stay in motels. This motel was a standout. Clean modern rooms, great bed, excellent linens, great breakfast and soup, cookies and milk offered in the evening. Didn't use the pool or workout room.
I know, it's Pendleton..... but I hope I never have to stay there again. It's several steps above the Super 8 across the street but UGH! It smelled like 10 chain smokers had lived there for weeks with no shower. The bed was not comfortable either.
This hotel was average at best. The service was ok but you could see the dirt in the corners and the dust on the furniture. Waiting in line on a busy weekend they should have been more prepared for. The employees seemed less then thrilled to be there.
We stopped earlier than usual on our trip across the country. The Best Western was so comfortable, we could just sit back and relax. In other words it did not seem like a place to stop just for the night.
We were just passing through Pendleton and needed a place to stop for the night. The location is right off the exit so it is very convenient. Gracelyn was so helpful in getting us the best price possible and extremely personable. The king bed in our room was so comfortable and the room was clean with a mini fridge. Selena was running the show in the am for the continental breakfast. Nothing dipped below an inch before she was there to replenish. All the tables were constantly being bussed and wiped clean. She even paid attention to detail by rearranging the salt and peppers and pushing in the chairs. You can tell she takes what she does seriously and it really changes the experience. This place seems to be a little older, but with a great and attentive staff, it will always be in business. Thanks for a great overnight stay!
It is clean but average in decor and room size. The location is awful-right off the freeway in an ugly part of town. One lady at the front desk was very rough around the edges and not professional. The breakfast was okay. Overall clean which is important. Bed are also comfortable.
We were traveling through Pendleton on the way to Hells Canyon and stayed here for one night. The location is not great - right off the freeway, but the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We were both stiff from being in the car and the jacuzzi was a welcome treat as were the chocolate chip cookies. Breakfast was adequate. Check in and out was very smooth. Would stay here again.
Comfy beds. Liked the suite with separate bedroom attached and having 2 sinks to use. Didn't like that there wasn't a separate thermostat in attached bedroom. Only one in main room so we had to leave the door open to get any A/C into our stuffy room. Breakfast was standard for a hotel. Tiny workout room. Overall our stay was just fine and we'd stay again. Shari's restaurant was good and right across the street.
This hotel was a great place. Our room was very large with plenty of room to move around. The pool and hot tub were outside. We enjoyed the hot tub-the temperature was just right and it is covered so we were out of the sun. The breakfast was very good. The cheese and peppers omelets were good. There was sausage and bacon along with pastries, cereal and yogurt. In the evening they had 2 soups-chicken gumbo and minestrone. Both were good. They also have cookies along with the soup.
The people at Best Western Pendleton Inn are outstanding. They do anything to make your stay a great experience. When you walk in there, they treat you like family. They always provide quality information and suggestions. I would strongly encourage you to consider their services if you are in the area.
We always enjoy staying at Best Western and we were happy that there was one in Pendleton. The room we had was clean and comfortable. Nice amenities including cookies in the lobby in the evening. The staff was courteous and helpful. I recommend staying at this hotel.
The hotel has easy freeway access. There aren't many restaurant choices near by so a little driving is necessary. The hotel is nice and the rooms spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The morning breakfast has a nice selection of choices. What was really nice was that they offered two choices of hot soup and cookies in the evening. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We will choose this hotel again in the future.
This is my go to hotel in Pendleton. Easy access to anywhere you want to go around the area, right off I84 but far enough off to hear the freeway. Very good breakfast, and soup in the evenings. There is a couple of restaurants within easy walking distance and a very short drive to downtown.
We stayed here for one night in a 2 room suite, and unfortunately 2 room in the US is named different then in Europe, so we expected 2 bedrooms. Just a misunderstanding, probably on my side, but we managed well with the two "rooms" though. The room itself is a bit dated, but otherwise nice enough and most importanly clean. Breakfast was ok, but probably above average compared to US standard. There is a pool area, but we didn't try it. There are some chain restaurants close by but otherwise you need to drive to get to the center of Pendleton. All in all I was planning on giving a 4* rating, but that was until I tried to use the hotels computer. That meant that I had to meet the lady at work in the front desk the morning we checked out, but I guess "work" was relative. When checking out she wrote down my room number on a piece of paper, leaned back and started using her mobile phone. When asking if the computer worked, she mumbled something while continuing to look down. I didn't care to try talking to her anymore, so I went over to the computer, which only had half the screen functioning and the mouse was defect. While trying to print my document just using the keyboard, my mother in law came to deliver her room keys. I observed her trying to start a conversation with the receptionist, but her mobile apparently had some more important stuff on it.. In both conversations I doubt she looked up from her phone more than two times, so the hospitality business might not be the best career move from her, and she directly affected my rating here.
Traveling from Seattle to Boise. Decided to spend the night in Pendleton. We had a King room. Great hotel, clean and quiet. A really nice place and reasonably priced. Right off of the freeway but no highway noise. Will return.
This is our hotel of choice when traveling through this area. Clean property, clean guest rooms, nice breakfast. Staff are friendly. Pets are welcome, for a nominal fee. Don't hesitate to stay here, near a Shari's restaurant.
Conveniently located just off I-84, this hotel has large, clean rooms, a decent breakfast, comfortable beds and high-speed internet. It's also far enough from the freeway that it's quiet. What more could you want?
This hotel has a friendly staff and nice clean quiet rooms. They serve breakfast and cookies in the evening. There is also a pool and exercise room. I believe it's one of the nicest hotels for the money.
Very smooth check in with nice room that was clean and well furnished. Quiet. Provided nice USB charging port. Cookies and soup available in evening and the breakfast was fantastic with nice airy seating. Only hitch was running out of hot water during shower. I also thought the regular temperature of the hot water was dangerously high for elderly guests.
The only hotel I like and would stay during visiting in Pendleton is Best Western Hotel. Like all other hotels, this one feels like home. No different, really. Just look more clean and safe. Their breakfast and soup dinner are really good. I always take advantage of those. Not much to do in Pendleton, so this is the only time I would use the hotel's gym. Hot tub open year long. If the pool is close during winter season, you can talk to the front desk and get to go swim next door hotel indoor pool. Same owner. Never a problem staying here. You'll love it! If only the wall weren't in color yellow or window curtains weren't in green....it wouldn't look so old and dusty.
Overnight stay with my husband and cats. What a surprise surprise they had soup last night for guests checking in. This Best Western has always been above basic, comfortable and accommodating and modern. breakfast is really good. No fruit. Oh well but had french toast. Plus soy milk and almond milk. This hotel is well worth this stay. It is not a Best Western Plus but acts like one.
This BW hotel is located just off the interstate and easy to find. There is a Shari's restaurant across the street but we didn't go there. This BW serves hot soup and cookies with milk in the evening and a full breakfast in the morning. This is a very nice property and we will stay there again when we pass through Pendleton, Oregon.
I have an issue due to a glitch in a reservation. I was making reservations on the night of March the 2nd for the night of march 31st. Unfortunately after all was sent and we got the Emails we noticed that the reservation was for the 2nd of March not the 31st. We contacted the hotel and customer service to fix the problem, they said it was fix and they made the right reservations. we did stay at the hotel on the 31st, but we were charged for both nights. I have since contacted KaSandra Willams about this and she E-Mails “If it had been a night in which we were not sold out, I would be willing to give at least a partial refund. However, we sold out early in the afternoon, and could easily sold the room to someone else. Therefore, I am unable to give a refund for the night in question.” considering I made the original reservation at 9:45pm how did they sell out earlier in the afternoon and still make a reservation for that night? DO to the fact she now has lied to me I am now more than a little upset.
This property is a very satisfactory location to stay when you are travelling in the area and require an accommodation for sometime. There is a lady check-in receptionist by the name of Melissa Reitz who goes
This hotel is well appointed for a business traveler. Conveniently located close to the freeway, it was still quiet. The night staff was not overly helpful with the business center, but the hotel manager resolved my issue immediately and satisfactorily, very early in the morning. Breakfast was plentiful and checkout was smooth.
Stayed at this BW going and returning from Arizona. Very nice staff. Clean and comfortable room. Soup and fresh baked cookies at 6pm and full complimentary breakfast in the morning. Express check out was a nice option
My grand kids and I stay at Best Western when we travel to Oregon and back to visit family. We enjoy the pool and are grateful that, during cooler months, the pool at the hotel next door is available to us. We appreciate the soup and chili, along with cookies in the evening and the breakfast buffet in the morning. My grand son especially likes to make his own waffles. We have been staying at the BW in Pendleton for a couple years whenever we travel.
Overall an enjoyable stay. Check in was simple. We traveled with our dog and booked us near the exit which made it very convenient for taking the dog in and out. The room was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly, taking the extra time to explain the area attractions, places to eat. Made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Breakfast was standard fare, but it was fresh, hot, serviced frequently, and kept very clean. Well worth the price, the service is excellent, we will stay again.
Comfy Cozy Friendly Reasonable. They served soup and cookies in the evening. Loved it! Especially the cookies:). The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spotless and the bed was extra comfy!! Only 4 stars because Fridge wasn't on and I didn't notice til next morning.
Spent one night at the Best Western and had no complaints what so ever. Great breakfast, clean large room, and a nice touch with the evening snacks. If you arrive late, there is a soup and snack bar that might just fit the bill, and it is all included in price.
No complaints, just the way a hotel should be. No problems and all the comfort. Price was very acceptable for the value. Breakfast was nice. Pool was closed (winter) but even it appeared nice. I recommend this best western hotel.
Stayed one night with our dog. Called the hotel for the reservation in advance. Call was handled very professionally. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with sausage, bacon and decent omelettes. Coffee is very good. Furnishings are a bit worn. Location is very good. Nice and quiet, easy access to I84 and downtown.
Last night on the road. Two weary travellers. Had great service and a quiet room that was clean and comfy. After a great sleep and an excellent breakfast the next morning, we were on our way. Thank you for a good nights sleep.
Stayed here on a trip back from Idaho. My hubby and I received an odd check in from a gal who appeared to be on another planet! Her demeanor was strange and somewhat out of it. What was really annoying, was trying to get some sleep and we could hear the gal outside talking really loud while puffing away at her cigarette. Seriously??? Why are you talking so loud out side for so long anyway?? It was very unprofessional to say the least. Also, the bathroom door!!!! Oh my gosh!!! It needed to be cut off down at the bottom so the tub towel can be placed on the ground without the door pushing the towel away from the floor! It was super frustrating and didn't make any sense to even have the towel on the floor! It was driving me nuts!!! Fix the doors already, so it opens and closes with the towel on the floor! Also, the 90's called and wants their cheap mattress pad cover back! Why, oh why do hotels still use those? They are scratchy and annoying! Plus, when you pay over 100 a night and traveling for hours, you expect a good mattress and bedding. Stop being so cheap and do something to fix it! Everything else was good with the room....It was really clean!!! So nice job to the house keeping staff. The lobby was clean as well and also the jacuzzi was great too. The breakfast was average and was well prepared.
This place could've been a dump and we would've been happy with it all due to the amazing front desk lady that checked us in. Her warm welcome was above and beyond. Beyond that, having a family room with 3 queen beds fit our family's needs 100%. Wish more locations had this feature!
Called in for a reservation, talked to Cassandra she was very nice and polite over the phone when she setup my reservation. Checked into the hotel by Melissa she was fantastic very friendly and polite, she went above and beyond for me. We will definably be back. Rooms were nice and clean, spacious, beds were very comfortable. High-speed internet worked great, and breakfast in the morning was great as well.
Both hot tub and pool Closed for repairs with unknown ETIC (est. time in commission), per Desk Clerk, so don't look forward to it! (Or, maybe plan on sneaking into a reasonably nearby competitor's... :-)
Great place to stay! On our way to Arizona from Washington, nice stopping point. Good location. Right off the freeway. Gas station, couple of places to get something to eat! The Best Western is right in the middle of several other hotel/motel chains. Would highly recommend! Good service, very nice/accommodating staff. Very nice/clean rooms. Property itself is well taken care of. Good parking area.
As I was able to physically pull several heavy suitcases up each step of two staircases to my room, I quickly became frustrated... and also considered that other 'second floor' guests could have a real issue. What would grandma do??? Also, personally, I looked forward to a snowy mountain view from the hotel site, though this was mostly blocked by the close-by Holiday Inn that obviously enjoyed the best view. In sum, the lack of elevators is really my only gripe. The hotel staff was wonderful and Christmas surrounded the lobby!
I have stayed in Best Western Motels for years and many times each year. The service is usually of good quality but the service in Pendleton is exceptional. You feel like you are the most important person staying there that night. The motel is always clean and friendly.
Friendly staff, clean large rooms and comfy beds. Great breakfast and they allow pets. They have easily accessible rooms to the outside, if you have a pet. There is a Shari's that has quite decent food, right across the road. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
The staff at this hotel are eager to help, take their responsibilities seriously, results are very clean, well stocked rooms and food service. The hot tub was the cleanest I have seen anywhere. The beds are comfortable, room temperature was perfect.
Rooms and hotel are ok. Not the cleanest but not terrible. Staff was pissy. Seemed like she hated her job. Not eager at all to help. That alone would keep me from staying there again. Didn't bother eating the breakfast.
This hotel is pretty standard BW. The rooms were nice and clean. Traveling with pets so it was nice to have a ground floor room. Not a designated pet area just undeveloped area around hotel, not required to clean up after your pet. Watch your step. Hotel unsecured at night. Someone entered front door and finding front desk unattended proceeded to use desk phone to call a friend in the hotel. Unfortunately didn't know room number. Did not appreciate 1 AM wake up call.
After traveling in poor weather and at night we were exhausted. The hotel is quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The black out curtains did their job and we were able to get the rest we needed. The fitness center was average.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and have never had a bad experience. Everybody is courteous and kind, the amenities are wonderful, and the breakfast is great. The beds are comfy. The rooms are clean and spacious. Honestly, what more could you want? I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
We stayed at this hotel on our way to Arizona for the winter. This is just your average BW hotel == nothing special. The rates were extremely high compared to other hotel in the area but we had driven enough and decided to stop. Upon checking out we were told there was a $20.00 pet fee for our small dog. The charge was not stated on their web site and not told to us on check-in. There was no room check to justify the charge, it was mandatory. We are "Diamond Members" of the BW rewards plan and have never paid a pet fee in the past five years. It has always been waived as a perk of our status !!!!! Well not at Pendleton. We will not be back.
We were traveling from our home in Idaho to our daughter's home in Oregon. We always make it a point to stay half-way between at the town of Pendleton, OR. On our way to Oregon, we stayed at another hotel - we were so terribly disappointed in the room, the food and the price of this hotel. On our way back, we stayed at the Best Western Pendleton. Our stay was absolutely WONDERFUL! The room was clean and appealing, the staff was so welcoming and personable. They offer a full breakfast with the hotel room stay, which really makes a difference when traveling. We will be making many more trips across this route to see our daughter and we plan to stay at this Best Western Pendleton Inn when we do. We commend them for a fine hotel.
I like everything about the hotel except the fact that they have no elevators. The staff was helpful and polite and the rooms were clean. I would stay there if travelling alone but not when travelling with my father who is in his 90's.
We couldn't have stayed at a nicer place.Front staff girls were so nice-friendly and helpful. We arrived early-no problem whatsoever. We are travelling with a Golden Retriever, our room location was perfect, main floor, close to an exit. They even had an evening "snack!"-soup and chili.Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was great - the staff was excellent and very accommodating. The evening food get together was also great with the rooms very comfortable and quiet. Check in was a breeze and I would definitely stay there again when I'm traveling thru
Everything about our stay was very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was great, a huge selection and tasty, every evening they offered complimentary soup and cookies. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
The staff (KaSandra) is wonderful, very nice and helpful. The rooms are great and beds are comfortable. The breakfast is the BEST you will find at any hotel, you name it, they serve it. I continue to visit this place because they treat me well and its very affordable!
This is a very good hotel and the rooms are very quiet! The bed was vey comfortable and it was a good size room! I would have given it a 5 star but the carpet is extremely stained! We had an excellent breakfast at this hotel!
Although the hotel and grounds were very clean and nice and the staff was helpful and friendly, the bed in our room was so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep. Since the bed is the most important feature to us when traveling, we won't be staying here again.
Had a wonderful day of cold fresh air, and when we got back to the hotel, there were 2 types of steaming hot soups for all. A very pleasant surprise! Amazing views of the local hills from here just luring you to stay longer and explore more. The beds are comfy, the rooms spotless and spacious, and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was better than most Best Western we have been to, very good omelettes, and a range of 4 different hot meats. Cereals, waffles and the usual fare as well. I'd give this 9/10 for sure, and never had a 10/10 Best Western.
We have stayed in several Best Western hotels & always had great experience. It would be nice if toilets were changed out to taller ones for handicap or older people. There are no grab bars. Other than that no complaints
We always stay at this Best Western Pendleton Inn. Easy access to highway and restaurant across the street. We always book this hotel on our way to and from our trip down south. See you again in April!
Always my first pick when passing through Pendleton Oregon. Nice clean and quite.Very restful while traveling. Breakfast, Evening Soup and Cookies are a wonderful touch. Would like to have suggestions of Places to eat downtown. This is minor as I loved my stay.
Best Western has excellent service and this hotel was no different. They were very nice even though the hour was very late. Great place to stay. The breakfast really helps for getting underway the next day. It was quiet and clean.
We have stayed at this location several times as we return from St George Utah after participating in the World Senior Games. Friendly service and close to the Rooster restaurant our favorite place to eat in Pendleton.
this is a very nice hotel and not really expensive. the staff was great and very accommodating. the room was clean, smelled good, and everything worked. the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet so got a good nights sleep. the complimentary breakfast was good, it included the usual foods found at hotel breakfasts. we will definitely stay again when in the area.
We stayed here one night for a quick stop-over. The hotel was right off the freeway and easy to find. The premises were nice and cared for and the parking was excellent, close to our room. The ice machine and Pepsi machine were very close to our room- we could not hear any noise in the hotel or around the area. Our sleep was very comfortable and we would stay here again.
Good stay. No problems. Entire staff including the cleaning staff was very helpful. Always looking to do more. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet for sleeping. Breakfast was as expected in a Best Western
Your typical Best Western. Good value for the money. The service was excellent there was lots of food choices which is nice for a Best Western. Our room was comfortable and clean, and near the back door which was handy for walking the dog. I would have felt more comfortable if there would have been a lock on the outside door. Overall the great place to spend the night on our stop
We had never stayed here before and we loved it! The staff were polite and friendly. The rooms and common areas were well maintained and nice to spend time in. Our room was clean and it was so nice to see a fridge and microwave in the room! We were very impressed with the amenities provided through the day and evening such as the soups and cookies and milk! And hot cocoa and coffee. I greatly enjoyed the coffee in the dining room it was always hot and fresh. The continental breakfast was good, good variety but it was quite crowded in there and maybe some rearranging might help. I was waiting for something to be toasted and it was difficult for people to get through. One of our favorite Best Westerners so far!
This is a newer, medium-size Best Western in the center of Pendleton in an area with several other hotels. Parking is plentiful. Rooms are large and well-appointed (ours had a refrigerator and micro-wave) and, as this is a more modern hotel, the plumbing and temperature control work well. The hot breakfast was good, with egg and sausage links, and a wide-selection of other food. A staff member watches over the breakfast area to keep it clean and stocked with food. Coffee is available 24/7 and, in the evenings, they make cookies and soup/chili for snacks. The staff was nice and no problems with check-in or check-out. Two luggage carts were available for carting luggage to/from parking lot. Only down-side was the outdoor pool was out-of-service for the winter.
Clean, convenient & right off the freeway. I appreciate the rural, City & vacation locations of BW. I am a long term member and have well used the many rewards & promotions through the years. Thank you BE.
After a bad stay at another Best Western in another state, we arrived here this evening and knew as soon as we walked in that this was much different. The entire lobby was warm and inviting, you could smell soup in another room for guests; the gal at check in was SO great! And then, when we walked down the hall to our room we saw a laundry room, which made us smile because we were going to have to look for a laundromat tomorrow morning before hitting the road again - but it's so clean! The room! Clean, clean, clean, clean! Excellent.
I've stayed here several times. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the front-desk staff is friendly. The breakfasts are pretty much the standard hotel fare. The view out of the back of the hotel is really pretty, especially at sunrise or sunset. It's very convenient to I-84. Head down the hill and into town, and eat at Prodigal Son Brewery. Really excellent food.
When traveling from Portland or Seattle to places East, or doing the reverse. Seeing the BW sign on the outskirts of Pendleton is a warming, happy, "end-of-the-day" feeling. The Best Western Pendleton Inn is easy to access off the Interstate, has plenty of parking, very clean and welcoming. Rooms are very comfortable; two sinks in the room was great. The free, offered breakfast was one of the best in a1,000 miles. The check in was easy and the check-out went seamless. There is a restaurant across the street; or choose Abby's Pizza, the courteous "pizza guy" delivered an awesome, hot, delicious pizza in a flash of time. Ahhh. Thanks Pendleton Inn.
We stayed at several Best Westerns on our road trip. The Pendleton Inn was conveniently located and easy to find with restaurants and fuel near by. The staff was caring and helpful. The room was large enough to stretch out and relax after a long day of travel
Similar to many Best Western hotels, but with better pricing than typical. Well maintained and very pleasant staff. The breakfast was typical; the room was clean and in good shape with a nice view of the area. It sits atop a hill with views of the scenery around it.
We were unable to accept a room on the second floor as there was no elevator for my husband (age 80 with a new knee replacement) to get our luggage up. The staff were able to reassign us to a room right next to the breakfast area. Couldn't have been better for us. We loved them for going beyond for us. Made our stay so nice that we didn't want to leave!
Excellent breakfast - many choices, food hot, helpful staff. Our only complaint was no adjustable bed available for us, or at least a recliner. Room was spacious, big enough refridgerator, microwave. Table and comfortable chairs, bathroom has two sinks so very convenient
We arrived into town after a long flight and drive to Pendleton, finding a most comfortable room and very helpful front desk clerk to check us in and give us tips on the area. Our two night stay could not have been more pleasant, we would stay in this property again in the future when traveling through Oregon.
Very nice Best Western hotel. Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, and the breakfast was above average, serving everything from cereal to biscuits and gravy to waffles to omelettes, bacon and sausage, et al. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted. I highly recommend this hotel.
Always love coming here when I am in town for business. All the employees are great and professional, the breakfast is great too so is the location. I usually stay in the King business room has a great comfy chair to work on and with the curtains open great views especially on the side that faces the other hotel.
We stayed at this hotel based on the trip advisor recommendations. Beds were comfortable. The hotel as well as grounds were clean. Friendly staff. We stayed there both on the start and end of our month long journey
This is a newer Best Western property, so everything is still in nice condition. The rooms are very large and clean and, typical of BW, the beds are comfy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and breakfast was quite good. For some reason, they offer fresh-baked cookies and soup from 4-6pm, which seems a bit odd but was a nice touch. It is very close to the interstate, but also convenient to the downtown area. Very quiet at night.
A decent hotel in a decent town. Not a lot to do in Pendleton and I wouldn't recommend visiting but if you do I recommend staying at the best western here. Decent breakfast and a short drive from the downtown, the Pendleton best western has it all.
Right from the time you walk into this hotel, and until you leave, the staff does their best to make sure you are taken care of.The hotel is very well kept, the rooms are clean and spacious.Having hot soup and cookies upon arrival was also good after a long travel day.Breakfast set up was another strong point. Thanks.
This BW has a policy of over charging your credit card at check in in case you buy any of its limited offerings such as pre-popped bagged popcorn in the lobby. The staff says a credit will appear on my credit card statement once the bank processes a credit following check out but it may take a few days to appear. Makes you have to check out at the main desk to get a copy of your bill in case of a dispute.
They offered soup as well in the evening which was a great addition to the milk and freshly cooked cookies. The breakfast was wonderful, they had BACON! The hotel wasn't within walking distance of downtown Pendleton but the staff gave us great directions and some good restaurant options.
This Best Western is by far the best Best Western we have stayed at on this trip. We have been on the road for 21 days staying in a different hotel almost every night. Staff are very kind and helpful. Exterior is clean and well maintained. The room was very spacious, clean, modern decor and very well maintained. I would highly recommend staying here.
Stayed here as the half-way point between Sun Valley and Seattle. Quiet, away from the highway, soup offered in the lobby in the evening. Desk clerk initially gave us a second floor room, but there are no elevators and my sister is handicapped. Clerk easily changed our room--no fuss. Excellent stay.
This is one of the nicest and best managed Best Western in the nation. The rooms are updated, clean, and well taken care of. The only item that could use some improvement is the number of television channels available and that is not important to me.
Very clean- great outside pool and yummy full breakfast! We slept great. The bathroom was clean. The registration desk was extremely helpful with restaurant (kid friendly) choices - Rooster's is now a Favorite! This made the start of our vacation smooth traveling.
clean, quiet, close to cafes, surrounded by wheat fields. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. except for Internet being down it was a pleasant stay. Hotel is close to freeway but very quiet with no traffic noise. If we travel that way again we will stay there again.
This is a wonderful Best Western. We got in with no reservations and got a great, quiet room. The whole place is updated, our room was large and very clean. Breakfast was huge with bacon, eggs, waffles and everything else you want for breakfast. I would stay here again.
We joined Best Western as we drove across the country with a dog and this is always one of the better motels on the road. So on this trip we stayed two nights in different Best Westerns and this was the better Friendly people work here, the room was very clean, breakfast was better than most and the location was good. Our dog liked it too
GOT IN LATE AND ROOM WAS AVAILABLE WITHOUT PRIOR RESERVATIONS.. HAD a quiet and comfortable sleep after 14 hours driving. Easy access from freeway. sheri's restaurant across street for evening dining. friendly staff and clean room.
We travel with a service dog. When we opened the door to the room we were greeted with a clean smelling room and a clean room. (some places we have stayed you can smell dog odor). The staff was very friendly. My husband was able to joke with the front desk person that is a 49'ers fan while he is a Seahawks fan. The outside of the hotel was clean and was kept up very well. I would recommend a designated dog walking area. We met a couple of people that had dogs also and was not sure were the dos area was. behind the hotel has very sharp rocks and burrs that get into dogs fur. We did enjoy the goodies bag for the dog.( snacks and poop bags). Close walking distance to a family restaurant. Morning breakfast is ok if your a light breakfast eater.
I am starting to question the certificates of excellence that TripAdvisor is awarding to some hotels. This hotel is one example. It is not a budget hotel, so for the money we should expect better linens and customer service. When we reserved the room online, we reserved a double king and we stated in the comments section to please provide a quiet room away from ice and vending machines, and that we would be traveling with a dog. A day before our arrival to the hotel, we received a call to inform us that they couldn't assign us that room because we were traveling with a dog. Instead they assigned us a double queen. We wanted the double king because it is a bigger room, where we could put our dog's bed on the floor and not trip over it. When we arrived at the hotel they were busy and didn't acknowledge us right away. When our turn came, the customer service was adequate. They gave us our keys and we headed to the room, only to realize that we were right next to the ice and vending machines. We entered the room which was small as we had feared. My husband looked out the window, and saw a condensing unit right outside our window. My husband went back to the front desk and told them that we had asked for a quiet room and instead we were assigned one that was surrounded by all the noisy elements. They simply told him that they were booked. We were tired and resigned to stay. We sat down to watch the news, only to find that the TV remote control was not working. I was able to turn the TV on directly from the TV, but my husband said that we should get one that worked. So I went back to the front desk. I asked if they had an extra one, and Melissa says "customers press all the buttons and disable them. They don't know how to use them." To which I answered "I don't want to hear about it, I just want one that works. Besides it's impolite of you to talk about your clients like that." And this is when she said "WELL, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN LEAVE." I couldn't believe my ears, and proceeded to tell her that she had no business sitting in that chair calling herself a Customer Service clerk. I have never been treated with such disrespect, however, we didn't let one woman ruin our first day of a fun trip. We will be writing a letter to the hotel's corporate offices. They need to raise their standards in the hiring of employees.
We spend only one night, arrived around 1 AM and left the hotel at 8. The room was very clean and the check in process was fast. We rest for the night and keep driving to our final destination. I would definitely consider make another reservation in this hotel in future trips
If you stay at the Best Western - Pendleton Inn you will be greeted by friendly staff that treat you like family, your room will be spacious and clean, and breakfast will be delicious and ready for you in the morning. The location is great. The pool is wonderful. I would not bother staying anywhere else in Pendleton. Come here, and you will be glad you did.
This place was amazing for a best western, I was very impressed! from the very clean rooms to the great staff! They serve a very nice breakfast with your room. The manager went out of his way to welcome us and answer any questions as did the staff! Thank you for a great hotel experience!
After reading several reviews about most of the hotels in Pendleton on TripAdvisor I felt we made the right choice. We got the king-size room on the top floor without a connecting door we asked for. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Check-in was very pleasant. The breakfast area was very clean and well stocked. The one improvement for the room would be a small side-table by the easy chair. I rated it only four stars because there was no elevator.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean and quiet room with a very satisfying breakfast. Nice updated exercise equipment room and although we didn't take advantage of the outdoor pool it looked very inviting.
This is a typical Best Western, albeit without an elevator. My only complaint was the attitude of the woman, Michelle, working the front desk. First, she was on the phone when we arrived and let us stand there for 3 minutes waiting for her to get off. She then gave us our room on the second floor, and when I asked where the elevator was she informed us "they didn't have one and it said so on the website." I then asked if there were any rooms available on the first floor, to which she replied "You didn't request one when you made the reservation." I then asked if she could move us to the first floor, to which she responded "I ain't doin' that, I've already been written up twice for stuff like that." I gave up and hauled our stuff up the stairs. The room, breakfast, etc., was unmemorable.
We booked this hotel as we frequent the BW chain often. We got a suite, as we were traveling with children and my mother-in-law. The a/c in the room was working but not fully functional. It stated it was set to 60 degrees but that was not the case. It was pretty warm with it going at full blast. In addition, the king bed in an adjoining room did not have any a/c, which they are aware of since there was a box fan in the room. That fan saved us from roasting that night. You couldn't shut the door for privacy due to the temperature issues. The king bed had to be the worst bed I have ever experienced. I don't mind a firm bed, but this was like sleeping on a brick! The rest of the room and beds were fine. We didn't complain as the place was sold out, and we knew they couldn't fix anything in the time we were there. The breakfast was the real star here. Great selections with lots of variety, and the attendant was on top of everything keeping it clean and stocked.
Excellent hotel. Room, food, service, and amenities were all first class. I wasn't happy about the Room Tax, but that's on the State of Oregon, not the hotel. If I come back to Pendleton, I will definitely stay at the Best Western there.
Traveling from SLC, UT to Oregon coast w/4 kids, & stopped in Pendleton for the night. Booked about 2 hours before arrival and was pleasantly surprised to find 2-room suite big enough for all 6 of us--hubby and I in bedroom (king bed) & kids in main room (2 kids in each queen bed). (Not many hotel options in that area for family of 6 to be in same suite.) Everything was a little older, but clean and well taken care of. Outdoor pool was small but refreshing--kids loved it. Staff was very friendly/helpful on phone and in person. Bonus surprise--soup, cookies & milk were served in evening. Beds were comfy with enough comfy pillows. Breakfast was great and had more options than I expected. Easy location right off I-84; easy express check-out. Fridge & microwave; bathroom w/sink inside, plus extra sink outside bathroom. The only down side was no a/c in our bedroom (there was in main area of suite), but fan was provided and that was sufficient. Great hotel, and will definitely stay there again next time we pass through. Picked this one after looking at reviews for all the hotels in Pendleton, La Grande and Baker City, Oregon. We were not disappointed!
I usually stay a this hotel when in Pendleton for business. They are always very accommodating and the hotel is well kept. I love the view from around the hotel as one can see for miles in every direction. Often times beautiful sunsets and sunrises are an added bonus to staying here. Make sure to make reservations as this location is a busy place. The do a great Best Western breakfast for all.
A year ago when the town was full up thankfully this Best Western had a room for us. We were so grateful that any time if we are staying in Pendleton this is where we will stay. The rooms are great and the breakfast is outstanding.
This was a nice surprise after a long day on the road. Great staff, nice, clean room with great AC (a real plus is 100F weather). Good breakfast to get you started. Small group of hotels near each other at this exit, with a choice of two restaurants that you can easily walk to. Wonderful view of the valley from the back edge of the hotel property. We would definitely stay here again.
The people at check-in and check-out were very good. But my best experience was when I made the mistake and they helped me correct it. I mistakenly place the wrong sign on my door during my stay, Do Not Disturbe. But what I really want was room service. I was gone for the entire afternoon and when I returned to my room I was supprised to find that my room was not setup. Then I looked on the door and found that I had made the mistake. I went to the desk and they corrected the situation which was my fault. They really do care for their guest!! Thanks
Outstanding property for any length of stay. Convenient and top notch staff, providing a warm welcome, effiecient check-in, overall solid professional guest services. Working with General Mgr. KaSandra regarding pre-arrival accomodations, was wonderful. Very professonal and great follow up. Made the trip/stay memorable and positive. Great, immediate email follow up during multiple exchanges prior to arrival.
Pet friendly, had a $25 pet fee, which $50 for 2 housebroken chihuahuas was kind of expensive. But, the room was nice and clean, bed was super comfortable. In the evenings they have soup, and warm cookies with milk, along with a good hot breakfast made for a nice stay. Was the most expensive stay on our trip.
New and very clean. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Outdoor pool and sunning area looked great. There is also an exercise room with very nice equipment. The location is close to freeway and downtown. Breakfast is complementary. There is a nice selection of breakfast foods. I even noticed individual servings of almond milk. Regular and lite yogurts, fruit, cereal, waffles, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, various sweet rolls and breads. As an extra bonus, this facility serves 2 kinds of soup in the evening. Last night's choices were chicken noodle and minestrone. Soup is served while supply lasts. To top this off, fresh baked cookies are provided. One of the best facilities we have found on our frequent trip to and from Arizona. We will be keeping this on our list for future stays. Thanks to the management for a job well done!
We were greeted with a smile, and then offered two kinds of soup, and milk and cookies. We enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool and hot tub And then spent the rest of the evening relaxing in our clean and comfortable room. The shower had amazing water pressure Never before had I stayed in a BW where "dinner" was served. My family planned to just make sandwiches in our room, as we were traveling on a budget, the soup and cookies were a great addition to our meal. We woke up to an amazing breakfast with offerings for everyone. I had almond milk, again something I had never been offered in a hotel before. These folks seem to think of everything someone might need, just like Grandma. We plan to be back in that area in 2 years, and will definitely be staying again.
We were attending an event near Pendelton and found out that several of our friends at the event were also staying here after we (and they) checked in. We were all happy with the facility and staff and enjoyed our stay.
Very outdated. Room felt cramped & dreary. No modern thermostat, just the old-fashioned heater/air conditioner fan under the window. "Clean Remote" was almost unusable (possibly not programmed correctly for this TV; I would really prefer that hotels use the remote that's included with the TV and just clean it for every guest instead of using these silly "Clean Remotes"). No elevator to second floor, just stairs. One of the two available ice machines was broken. No "protect the environment" cards to keep from unnecessarily changing bedsheets and bath towels. But the hotel is conveniently located, and the room was sufficiently clean. Fairly standard hot/cold breakfast buffet with decent food. A hotel like this should really be a lot cheaper than this one is.
Stop and stayed at the Best Western in Pendleton nice clean room and Breakfast was very nice, what was extra special was at 6-8 in the evening they offer two hot soup's and cookies. What a nice surprise to be treated, pool and hot tub nice and clean too.
Clean, friendly, they go out of their way to be helpful. Used laundry services, washer & dryer clean and inexpensive. Thought I may be a little late checking out told me not a problem leave when I was ready. Breakfast hot every thing very clean.
Pretty good quality for roadside motel. Location was convenient but very close to freeway. Breakfast was good for continental and friendly staff mostly. If you decide to spend a quick night in Pendleton this is a decent place to do it.
As a rewards member, I continue to find Best Western hotels my preferred hotel chain. Always comfortable and available almost everywhere. I love adding up those reward points for a free overnight stay. And now an additional 500 points as a platinum rewards member.
This a a newer hotel that is well laid out , plenty of off street parking with comfortable and well appointed rooms. Price value is right there for the quality of the property.. Highly recommended to everyone.
Ok for an over night stay. Small fairly dated rooms. Clean, reasonably quiet. Nice lobby. Restaurant on site. Don't try to get a room before 3pm- they wont let you. no elevator. Try for ground floor or pack your luggage up the stairs.
It I our second time visiting enjoyed our stay. Great location close to highway nice people nice sleep. We shall return and enjoy the Best Western in Pendleton Oregon. I can't think of anything else to say,
We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't be happier! Large, clean rooms, very nice staff, great hot breakfast with many choices and something that we found to be a nice touch was the 2 hot soup choices that we had both evenings. Then besides the soups there were also warm cookies and cold milk until 8PM. That was awesome because we got in later than we thought and didn't want to go out again for supper. There is an outside pool that looked well taken care of and an exercise room with lots of equipment. One negative is that the outside doors are not locked at night which could kind of be creepy if you are traveling alone. Also there is no elevator if you can't do steps. Will definitely stay here again!
Nice place to stay. Comfortable room, good breakfast with lots of choices. Clean spacious room. We were traveling through so didn't use some of the amenities. Nice to have them available though. The internet was easy to use.
We have stayed at the Best Western Pendleton four times now. I have been pleased each time. I found the rooms to be comfortable and exactly what I expected. In fact, I thought the beds were incredibly comfortable! The staff is very friendly, the breakfast buffet is good, the location is convenient, and the bathrooms are a good size. The only thing that I would say is a negative would be the fact that the hotel doesn't have locked side doors. So if you're staying at the furthest end away from the front desk, you might not be as comfortable since anyone can enter without a key. Ultimately I'm sure it's not a big deal, but I've traveled and stayed there as a solo female traveler and that part does creep me out a bit. But not enough to not stay there. If you're looking for a hotel in Pendleton, definitely check out the Best Western. Way more comfortable than the Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot.
Clean room and facility. Friendly, helpful staff. Close to downtown and I84 but not noisy. They had soup available when we arrived in early evening, and complimentary breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Very pleasant experience, great breakfast . No elevator unfortunately Breakfast personnel were very caring, not large enough area for the number of people that morning. Great checkout procedure. Cheap toilet seats
Awesome view, super helpful staff. Best breakfast in 7 days travel from East coast. Clean pool. I will drive back on purpose to have a nice relaxing break from home! I will tell family and friends to plan to stop here. I stayed at competitors across the road and will not again as this is so nice.
It was a good surprise that they offered free vegetable soup and cracker with cookies for supper at the breakfast room. The vegetable soup was very good and after a long drive, we really appreciated it since we did not feel like going out again to find dinner. Room was clean and standard, but wish they had a refrigerator with freezer compartment for our blue ice.
Family from around the country came to Pendleton, OR for a wedding. Many of us stayed at the Best Western. It was clean, convenient, and had a very nice breakfast. The staff were helpful. We had a two bedroom suite which had 2 queen beds in the main room and I think a king size bed in the second room. The beds and furniture seemed quite new.
Have been staying at BW Pendleton Inn, Pendleton, OR now twice - Have not been sorry in taking the opportunity to relax before arriving home. Please, don't change your hospitality services - they are superb. Kindness, Service, and paying attention to guest needs go along way to our returning. Thank for taking good care of us.
They were great to us. We had a package for work overnighted and as soon as it showed up they called. They went above for us. Thank you! Also bed was compfy room was clean and everything worked breakfast was very good! Hot tub/pool were clean and in awesome shape. We will stay again
Our stay at Pendleton`s Best Western was great. We like the Hotel, the friendly staff at the desk during check-in, the breakfast is better than other places that have the continental breakfast. Having access to coffee or hot chocolate 24 hours is fantastic.
After a long day's drive, we arrived later in the evening. The desk clerk already had our "keys" made so all I had to do was show ID and CC. While they have complementary breakfast, there is no restaurant, so we walked across the street for dinner at Shari's. Presenting my room key got me a free slice of pie with any entre! Very easy to get to off I-84. Room was quite comfortable. Room has free wifi.
Every time we are traveling through Pendleton, this is our hotel of choice! Very nice, clean, comfortable and I love the pool area, very relaxing! We love the area and Best Western is one of our favorite hotel chains.
This was our first stay at this facility and we were very pleased. Our check in experience was excellent with soup and cookies provided. They were as good as homemade. The room was excellent and there were a great variety of breakfast items and all we tried were very good. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay at this facility.
The Best Western Rewards rate for this property is too high $123 per night(including tax) for the quality of this older property. Rooms are rather smallish. Staff was very helpful and room was very clean. I probably would not stay here again if the rate remains that high
Best Westerns are generally well maintained, middle of the road hotels. This one, while still middle of the road, was exceptionally maintained and operated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the property was in excellent condition. The hotel sits atop a hill with views in every direction. While the breakfast was the usual fare, the woman managing it was fastidious about the cleanliness and constantly making sure everything was well stocked. I also thought the coffee was much better than typical hotel coffee.
The staff here runs a great hotel. Friendly, helpful, professional and a thorough knowledge of the area. Best sleep I have had in years. No kidding! Soup and cookies in the evening. Great full breakfast in the morning. I thought I woke up at my grandmother's. Don't drive by. You won't regret it.
Especially if you have pets. I was traveling with my son and his family, they have 2 big dogs. Both were welcomed and accommodated nicely! The breakfast was good and lots of selections. My son used the fitness center and found it to be a in good condition with a nice selection of machines. Great place to stay!
We had a nice room with good furnishings and a comfortable bed. Good cookies at 6pm. Breakfast had variety. We would stay here again. The small egg omelets tasted like they were made with powered eggs. The waffles and muffins were good.
The hotel is clean, the air conditioner unit is quiet, the fitness center was above average for a hotel. The mattress was comfortable and the above average complementary products were a nice touch. Nice
Stayed one night May 2017. Very nice and clean rooms. Bed very comfortable. Staff very nice and helpful They have milk and cookies in evening and soup. They have breakfast in morning and coffee 24 hours Very close to highway 84 and down town old town
Stayed here for business on 5-5-17 in room 229. Quiet room but I believe that all of them are quiet unless you have loud neighbors. Milk & Cookies in the Lobby 6pm to 8pm each night. Breafast from 6am to 10am. Checkout 11am Coffe and Tea and Hot Chocolate are available near the breakfast area 24 hours a day. This is a first that I have seen and I like it. They do offer free wifi and will provide you that info when you check in. They have seating in their lobby. Hotel is located just off the highway just a few minutes from the town of Pendleton. Front desk was friendly. Lobby has some seating and the rooms are very clean...(see my pics) Thank you for a very good stay.
I spent a week at the Best Western in Pendleton. The Best Western chain usually has a very good experience. The Pendleton Best Western is truly outstanding. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The amenities even included a travel sewing kit! Very nice. The staff were friendly. Plus there was a good breakfast, and soup offered in the evening. This hotel goes the extra mile for their guests. I hope to stay again.
The staff was friendly and location good. The security was horrible with the end access doors completely available to anyone without any locks or attempt at security. The doors of the rooms had no adequate hinges and we're not self-closing. Another security risk and led to unnecessary noise pollution as people slammed the door to insure it closed. The air-conditioning was inadequate and poorly controlled. Would not stay here,at least 4 other choices within a block.
Make sure your own soap to this hotel. Also don't worry about needing a key to access outside entrances to the hotel, it is available to anyone! One grumpy hotel clerk can ruin a review for all the hard work for all, but God help you if you get the wrong one at check-in.
Clean and quiet room. Front desk very helpful. Cookies and milk in the evening and a promise of breakfast in the morning. Located on hilltop overlooking a beautiful valley. They also provide a bowl of soup at 6 pm but we were out and about at that time. Would recommend for a stop along your journey.
Great views. Comfortable and pet friendly. Convenient to town and highways. Plenty of restaurants near by for all types of tastes. Nearby drives are scenic and worth the time. A good place for a business stay.
Room 115 has bed bugs, staff were unable to accommodate another room or offer any helpful suggestions or compensation. Now I'm stuck with a ton of itchy bites all over my body. Not how I expected to spend my weekend. Won't be staying here again.
Best Western - Pendleton, OR -- is our favorite stop along a frequently traveled route. Our stays are always pleasant, economical and very compatible with our lifestyle (retired). On our trips between Nevada and Washington, this is the perfect stop for us.
One night stay, passing through Pendleton. Everything was very good. Clean rooms, staff friendly. Good sleep and good shower. Good advice on dinner across the street at Shari's. good parking, don't know what else to say.
We were traveling to WA to SLC with family. We decided to spend the night in Pendleton,OR and pulled into BW to see if there were any rooms. To our delight, two double queens were available. The front desk was very patient with lots of people trying to get rooms, I think it was spring break. The power was out due to a massive windstorm on the west coast of Oregon but the power came back on as we headed for our rooms. No elevator but the stairs are wide and have a slow rise so it was easy to pull baggage. The rooms were clean and very nice for our stay. We would stay here again.
Upon arrival, we were told that there would be hot soup and warm cookies at 6 p.m. The breakfast in the morning was great and included bacon and sausage. Everything and everyone was first rate. The view from our window was fabulous. This motel is superior.
This a nice place to stay. Our room was large, comfortable, with all the necessities. The front desk has always been helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was super. The Inn may be a little outdated but a great value.
Excellent hotel with great accommodations. Very nice breakfast and very nice and clean rooms. I especially liked the separate sink and counter area for the coffee. The hotel was easy access from the highway and close to a restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Great value. Clean and spacious rooms, great breakfast friendly staff! Enjoyed our stay. I would stay there again and have enjoyed every BW along the way in our travels. The BW rewards program lowers the price of the room more than AAA.
From check in to the room quality we are baffled why this hotel does not merit the "Plus" designation. Rooms are terrific, the staff at check it was great and made sure we knew of the dinner and cookies served at 6pm. They could not have been more helpful. Room was immaculate and the beds comfortable. We will stay here again.
We always stay at Best Westerns on our travels. Pendleton is by far one of the best. It has very friendly staff, exceptionally clean and the breakfast is good. I would recommend the Best Western at Pendleton for a short or longer stay.
Comfy bed, good wifi, clean room, fridge, microwave, and bar fridge that we used and appreciated. A welcome reception with a gift bag that included nuts and popping corn. It was a Saturday evening and we were offered soup and cookies and they were very good. The breakfast had delicious omelettes and bacon and sausage links and patties and fruit and yogurt. Excellent! The staff were very good at their jobs.
If you need a great hotel on the East side of the Cascades. This Best Western is one I recommend. The parking lot was easy to navigate. They have hot soup waiting for you at check in time and the staff is first rate.
Wonderful staff great food comfortable beds and rooms you can't go wrong. There's been a employee and ownership turnover and it has been for the better for the hotel and for the guests. I stay at the best Western is over 50 nights a year and won't choose any other for my business or leisure
We stopped for a quick night and were very pleased with the quality of the hotel. Front desk was friendly and helpful, the bed was soooo comfy, and the blankets were so soft. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and they were able to provide a crib with blankets, which I thought was sweet. This may be a weird thing to appreciate but the toilet flush was quiet and the beds weren't squeaky so I didn't wake up my daughter when I got up in the middle of the night. The shower was very slippery though, my husband fell and banged up his shoulder pretty good. Breakfast was mediocre, they had the standard breakfast food but it wasn't very good. The waffles were definitely my favorite thing. We make this trip across Oregon fairly often so if we need to stop, we'll definitely be staying here again.
This is our first time staying at the Best Western Pendleton Inn. What a wonderful place! Clean, quiet and comfortable, we had a wonderful stay. Great indoor hot tub, we loved the hot breakfast. Recommend 100 %.
The BW in Pendleton is always dependable. The rooms are clean, updated and perfect in every way. They have internet for guests as well as an outdoor pool and outdoor (covered) hot tub. On our visit, they offered cookies and milk from six pm until eight pm. So, if you have kids with you or are a big kid yourself, comfort food is readily available. They have the expected breakfast room with proteins and starches as well as fresh fruit selections. The BW is located in the group of properties on the East side of town. It's a short drive to restaurants and the casino.
We had 2 queens, both with high quality sheets and 3 pillows on each bed. The room was clean and wifi was strong enough to stream video. The mini-fridge is quite large, but has no freezer, not even a tiny pocket freezer. The staff let me put my ice packs in one of their freezers. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. I never eat hotel breakfasts, but I noted that they had hot food (including sausage), as well as bananas and oranges. in addition to the normal fare. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Located beside the freeway but it was quieter than I ever imagined. Good breakfast, really friendly staff, easy check out. Our stay was more than expected. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through Pendleton.
As a treat to myself- I went to Pendleton to the Wildhorse Casino. Their hotel was booked due to some special events so I went to the Best Western to stay. It's just 2 exits from the casino and a quick trip. I loved the hotel- the front staff were helpful and friendly and had a wonderful room that was available. I don't know that they offer it every night but on that Friday night- they were offering soups and snacks at dinnertime. The breakfast selection was great- quite a variety of items and plenty offered.
Breakfast better than most! "Above and Beyond" comes from our thanks for soup, crackers, cookies & milk given us the night before when it was cold & rainy outside and didn't feel like leaving the hotel.
If your in the Pendleton area or just driving through you have got to stay at the Pendleton Best Wester. All and I mean ALL the employees are so helpful, fun, caring. I stay only at Best Western when I travel and Pendleton is now at the top of my list as the best one. From the big breakfast to the hot soup and cookies in the evening. The coffee is not the watered down coffee. Its real coffee. Rooms are top notch, comfortable, clean and everything works. I cant say enough about this place. You just have to stay and see for yourself.
Very good hotel, location is so far from Portland, that is the only thing about hwy 84.. It was a good place to stop before we got to Portland. The price was ok . I could stay again if I have to go that way abain.
The room was clean and well equipped. There were lots of trucks parked around the hotel but we had a room located away from the majority of the reefer trucks so we didn't have to listen to them running all night. This is a truckers/workers hotel so things start getting noisy in the early AM. Breakfast was good, checkout easy. Good areas for walking your dog.
This is the best hotel we have stayed at in some time. The property is very well maintained and the staff were all excellent. The free breakfast is the best we have ever had both in quality & presentation. They also had a free soup bar in the evening which was excellent. We travel with our dog and this is definitely a pet friendly hotel. Would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Pendleton, OR.
A nice place to stay and a quiet location. A little out of town but a short drive. Close to a restaurant if the breakfast included is not what you want. I wish I had more time to stay and explore the area.
Well off the highway for less noise and close to gas stations. It is an easy drive into the old town where we had dinner. One of the better B&W's we have stayed at. A better breakfast as well including stronger coffee. At night around six they have soup and crackers as well as cookies. A clean establishment.
There are no outside door locks and we felt the neighborhood was sketchy (we were asked for money when we walked to a nearby restaurant). The breakfast was good but ran out of coffee and bacon at least an hour before breakfast hours were finished. Also, the pet policy is pretty unfriendly with the paperwork and fee.
This was a very nice place to stay. It was our second time to stay at this location. The rooms and bed were very comfy. Our goal was to go to the Underground Tour and rest and relax for a few days. Breakfast was good. We would return to this location.
A good experience again when you have no advance plans and need a good room and bed plus breakfast. This BW was convenient and friendly staff, good breakfast and off the road enough to allow for a good nights rest.
This was a typical Best Western. Nicely decorated, clean, decent beds. This property doesn't have an elevator so keep that in mind when booking your room. Pendleton is a relatively small town so being out by the freeway as this property is doesn't present a problem. You're 3 minutes from downtown
Found a Best Western and had a good night sleeping without interruption. I would recommend this Best Western if you are traveling by car, as it is close to the Free way and centrally located for Pendleton and surrounding areas of interest.
Arrived late after a long drive from Portland in a truck. Easy, quick check-in. Room was spacious and well-quipped. Bed was comfortable. Very quiet as we did not hear any noise during the night at all. Good breakfast with lots of choices.
One of the downfalls to this motel is not having an elevator. We travel and enjoy the Best Western but have had to chose other motels because of no elevator. I have recently had knee surgery so I'm limited.
We stayed here on our way back from Idaho using points and it was a very good stay. Melissa at the front desk was charming and fun and helped us get settled. We had a room on the second floor around the corner from the lobby and were able to park right outside the door. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room and the king bed was comfy. I also liked the double vanities, one in the bathroom and one outside. My only complaint is the heating/AC unit only seemed to work in fan mode and didn't cool the room very much. Fortunately, when the sun went down, so did the temperature, so we were able to use outside air to cool us down. Overall, it was a good stay, one we'll repeat.
We booked a 2-night weekend stay to attend a family member's wedding and were very pleased with this property. For about $100 a night, our family of 4 found this to be a great value. We liked the duvet + sheets bedding (no questionable comforters!), the overall cleanliness and good repair of the rooms and public spaces, and the guest services. They include an excellent hot buffet breakfast at no additional cost, plus milk and cookies as an evening treat. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
The Best Western Motel of Pendleton was the best and most fun stay I have had in 15 years. The staff is the best of any motel I have ever stayed at and the rooms are great. I will stay here again for business and pleasure. Thank you so much for the awesome experience! Dave
Very satisfactory stay. but would strongly advise to make your reservations DIRECTLY to the location and NOT through a reservations agency or other reservation service. The value listed below as Very Good instead of Excellent because of the manner in which the "agency" consistently messed things up and exceedingly overcharged for their "service"
Very nice stay, and the Staff are great. We have family living nearby, and they are always welcome to come a visit us. Very good location for getting around town. The Breakfast was really good, and the Pool and Spa were kept up very well.
Not enough handicapped parking, had hard time getting help with luggage, understaffed, earwigs came in our window so had to shut it, not enough options at breakfast, no low-fat yogurt, missing weights in gym, hotel staff was snippy with us when we asked for help with checkout and luggage, no one present at front desk when we tried to check out, no freezer in fridge, stains on bed comforter. Maids seem to double as front desk staff.
This is a typical Best Western Hotel. Quite comfortable. We have finally learned how to deal with the televisions, which are inevitably programmed so everyone looks like they weigh 300 pounds. Those supposedly "sanitized" remotes are useless. . .so. . .call the Manager, have him or her come up with a remote that can actually be used to change the aspect ratio, etc, etc, and voila, a t.v. that is pleasant to watch. I imagine one can do this at any hotel which has a distorted tv. Their buffet breakfast choices are massive. Great quantities of fresh fruit along with the usual, plus bacon and lots of other options. The owner/manager apparently enjoys baking, so there are great chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. Coffee etc is available 24/7 in the lobby. Tip: use your Best Western Rewards card here if you have one. The rate is slightly better than with AARP or AAA.
This place is spotless. The staff is wonderful. The view is gorgeous. It's close to everything without being right in town, or out at the casino. We love staying at this facility. The little breakfast is not too bad. Coffee is on 24/7....which is GREAT. It's quiet even though its close to the freeway. GOOD parking as well.
The Motel was well take care of. It has restaurants close by. We enjoyed the room and slept well. The price was great as a Rewards member. The clerks were very helpful The pool and spa were nice. Breakfast was good.
Right off I-84, this Best Western is quiet, clean and has some wonderful views right out our window. Front desk staff was friendly and offered help with any questions we had. The outdoor pool with covered hot tub allowed a location to relax and enjoy the evening.
This was one of the nicest best westerns I have ever stayed at great staff super accommodating on Labor Day weekend super nice clean rooms not what I would have expected just coming in off the freeway not great for large vehicle parking but there is a large lot next to the parking lot and the breakfast was actually a great breakfast two thumbs up on this one.
A very last-minute decision to stop-over on our way to Portland and a very good choice. We got lost trying to find it (turned the wrong way off of the interstate) but once we arrived, the receptionist could not have been more friendly or helpful and the room was great for our one night stay. It was modern, clean, well fitted out and spacious. Just over the road was a cheap little eating place for the evening which gave great service; the hotel is too far from the centre of Pendleton to walk in. The hotel had a good range for breakfast. All in all, very pleasant and good value for money at the deal we got via Expedia.
driving my kid back to school, we stopped in Pendleton OR for the nite. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great also. Parking was not the best, due to the hotel being booked out. I would definitely stay again at this hotel.
Very easy to navigate to hotel. Its in close proximity to historical downtown activities. We came to tour the Underground there at Pendleton. Found the tour office easily, had great tour. Very ample breakfast and great coffee. Was pleased with all the breakfast choices available.
Basis of trip was to visit a friend in Kennewick, WA and to make a loop through the wine country stopping in Walla Walla and The Dalles before heading home. Thi was the 2nd road trip for the 35 and was hassel free
Nice clean relaxing place to stay. Comfortable beds and great pillows. Easy access to freeway and downtown shops. Nice overall experience. Hotel also sits high up on a bluff with a great territorial view
This is one of our favorite Best Westerns. They are right off the freeway. They are very pet friendly. They have a nice pool and hot tub and cookies in the evening. They also have a wonderful breakfast. I totally recommend this Best Western
So Pendleton is in the middle of pretty much nowhere. If you need a place to stay the night, this place is it. Clean and modern rooms, cookies and milk in the evening, a half decent breakfast, a decent pool, what more could you want? It's not that close to anywhere to eat but the hotel itself is nice. The staff were fun, humorous and polite. I stayed with my kids here and they were great. The pool was being cleaned and a gentleman informed us when it was ready. This place isn't the cheapest compared to other surrounding hotels, but you pay for quality and that's what this place provides.
Comfy beds, milk and warm cookies, Shari's across the street, gas station close by. Only thing to make it better would have been an elevator. We can't do stairs so the clerk rearranged things and put us on the main floor. Very good of her.
beds are great, making it easy to get in and out--do not smother you in softness--room was comfortable, handicap accessible, ffelt safe taking a shower--plenty of grab bars. all amenities included, made relaxing easy
Clean and very friendly, the 2 young girls at the desk couldn't have been nicer, pool and hot tub was very clean, room and beds were very comfortable. Fresh hot cookies in the lobby along with an impressive continental breakfast. Great Place
I'll definitely stay here again. Really loved the comfortable beds and the room was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay. I recommend staying here if you are traveling to or from Portland.
This hotel is by far the best in the area. The hotel staff goes well above and beyond for their guests and you will enjoy every second. The hotel is under new management and is ran by one of the friendliest managers I have had the privilege of meeting. If you want a five star quality but at a lower price, this is the place for you.
This hotel was a great stay, I would recommend. Clean, nicely kept, quiet. I got in after dark from driving all day and it was a welcome site with good AC. The breakfast was also very good, many hot choices. I would stay again.
Clean, quite with a good breakfast. Pretty much what you would expect from Best Western hotels. When we travel we always try to stay at BW's. Supplied cleaning supplies for our bikes, went out of their way to be helpful.
This was a very clean hotel, and the staff was so gracious. Wonderful Breakfast, and the woman that works M-F is so personable. The woman on the weekends was great, as well....was just there longer during the week.
Excellent staff, wonderful breakfast and comfortable rooms. I highly recommend Best Western Plus! Convenient locations and economical. The rewards program is wonderful, too. I know I can always expect friendly staff and clean rooms regardless of my arrival time.
Nice clean hotel with a good breakfast. TV and internet worked good, bed was comfortable, and everything was clean. However, the toilet was way too small and difficult to use when sitting was required - way too small. The shower went from hot to cold to hot to cold whenever IT wanted to, and often when I didn't. And when I went to check out, I had to find a staff person to find the front desk clerk to check me out - after a long wait. I stayed two nights and tried to move to Hermiston after the first night, but they were booked so I stayed one more night - reluctantly. Too bad, it was an otherwise very nice hotel.
The hotel is great, they need to improve the WiFi available to guest. No hotel shuttle is provided during the rally. The breakfast is fine, the staff is very good. Close to the freeway, decent location. Would return if a few things are upgraded.
Amazing staff and always available to help! Excellent breakfast, and they even offered Gluten Free Muffins and Almond Milk- need to ask. The pool was clean and had a nice area to hang out. Plenty of parking! I highly recommend!
I made reservations 2 weeks in advance and was informed that government/military rate was not available for the 4 nights requested. When i checked in the front desk clerk approached the manager to have the 4 nights at the same rate and was approved by the manager. The breakfast offered a wide variety of items tastefully presented and accommodating a variety of tastes. The room was kept clean and presentable.
Very good facility. Have stayed here many times and never been disappointed. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, breakfast is quite good with something for everyone. They seem attentive to continued remodeling and upgrades. This is not the newest facility available in the area but value for dollar it is very good.
The Best Western chain has become our go-to place to stay on our travels throughout the U.S. They are ubiquitous, we seldom have issues finding a BW hotel wherever we travel, and we know we are going to get a good night's sleep in a quality hotel for a reasonable price (even better with our AAA discount!). Our experience at the Pendleton Inn delivered on all of these expectations. We were greeted warmly by the front desk staff, and after a quick check-in process we unloaded our luggage to check out our digs. The room was spotless, large, and we had plenty of room to put our things. Any hotel with a pool in it is approved by my daughter, so we went down for a late-night swim. The outside pool was warm, but a slightly chilly wind quickly moved her under cover to the hot tub, where she amused herself for half an hour. Breakfast the following morning was in the common room across the hall from the buffet. We found plenty to like and eat, including the increasingly common biscuits and gravy, a favorite of my wife. Our only complain of Best Westerns is the heavy reliance on disposable tableware and food packaging. Much of what we saw available in the breakfast area was individually-packaged servings, which was eaten on paper plates and drunk from plastic or paper cups. It would be great to see BW adopt some more environmentally-friendly food practices, such as offering compost bins into which we could deposit food, paper plates, and other items.
Had made a reservation at another hotel that fell through and my wife and I came in off the street to see if there were any open rooms left. Staff was very accommodating and got us a room with a view! Very clean hotel! Really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back to this hotel again.
This BW is conveniently located adjacent to the Interstate and within a few minutes driving to downtown Pendleton. Despite the area being a parking area for lots of big rigs, it seemed quiet and was well-maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good and we had no complaints at all with our overnight stay.
We were very pleased with the layout of this hotel, the staff and rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable, front desk clerks were pleasant and helpful We will stay there again when we are in Pendleton.
I usually stay in Holiday Inn Express - I didn't make reservations and the holiday inn was full. The best western is next door they had a room. The room was comfortable quiet and it was a great stay. I would stay here again. The staff was all super friendly and good
caught in Portland traffic, hoped to get to Baker but quit in pendleton. best western was available so stop we did. Nice place to stay before crossing the Blues. No rooms when Roundup is on. Get a room with Eastern exposure for sunrise.
The hotel was clean and nice. The biggest issue that was a positive is my spouse must have a guten free diet and the breakfast had guten free food and did not react like it was a big deal to provide such food.
Hotel is very good overall, amenities are as you would expect with a Best Western. I felt the price was just a bit on the high side for Pendleton. Bed was very comfortable. I recommend you do not eat at Sharis across the street unless they have cleaned up their act. The breakfast at the Best Western was great, so I do recommend eating at the hotel.
It is located conveniently just off the freeway. The rooms are clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a good variety offered for breakfast and the eating area was kept clean and pleasant. We have no regrets.
average, clean, convenient. have found problems with best western points being appointed to my account. their reward program needs to be better. when travelling on motor cycle they claim to be bike friendly but they are no different then any other accommodation.
Nice quiet, very clean room with very nice breakfast choices (sausage, omelets, oatmeal, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt and more) and reasonably priced. Also very friendly, helpful person at the desk. Great free cookies at sign-in also (before 8:00pm, I believe).
Easy check-in; clean room. The air-conditioning worked well. Breakfast was more than expected, with omelettes & sausages besides waffles & a wide variety of breakfast foods. Free pie at the nearby Shari's Cafe. Located conveniently very close to the interstate.
We were running out of options on where to stay. Had been driving all day and there was a massive storm warning coming through. Looked at a couple reviews online as we drove and then drove past area hotels. Red Lion = terrifying murder hotel, Holiday Inn Express = insanely expensive, Hampton Inn = online reports of bed bugs. Then we saw the Best Western Pendleton Inn. Which looked really nice on the outside. We agreed that it looked like we would be paying more than we wanted to but supposed it would be alright. We'd found an agreeable price on expedia and decided that we would ask to have the price honored or go outside, book on expedia and then go back in to check in. ;) Came in the lobby and were greeted right away and explained our predicament/plan. The hotel gave us a price that was much better than expedia. Almost had us all checked in and I mentioned that we are members of HOG (Harley Owners Group) and that I doubted that there was an even better price than what she was giving us but thought I would ask. She laughed and discounted our stay even further making it one of the least expensive places we stayed on our trip. The hotel is quite lovely, the room was large, bright and clean. Two queen sized beds, little desk, separate little kitchen area with fridge and sink. Bathroom was large, bright and clean. Bed was very comfy, great sleep that night! Next morning we went down for the complimentary breakfast. Sausage, pre-made small omelettes, pancake/waffles station, hard boiled eggs, fruit salad and the standard baked goods. I was very disappointed though to take the first bite of the little omelette and knew immediately that it was mixed with pancake batter; this being a quasi-common tactic to make a fluffy omelette that stands up better to longer heating and makes the eggs go further, thus reducing costs. Unfortunately for people with allergies/sensitivities, it's a huge problem. I should have asked, it's my issue, but I was very unimpressed to find that they do this because it rendered everything but hard boiled eggs and fruit salad inedible for me. Again, my issue, but would have been nice to know before I put it in my mouth. We were, overall, very pleased with this hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice and for us, we got a smokin' deal! :)
WE were on a road trip with two small dogs and from the website of "BRING FIDO" it was one of the best choices for people with dogs . decent area to walk your dogs. good on/off access from the freeway.
excellent with one of the most outstanding breakfast services and selections we have experienced. Very clean and quiet and in a great location to city center and other restaurants. would highly recommend to anyone.
Everyone at this hotel appears to be doing their best to make you comfortable. Rooms are clean, breakfast was hot and tasty, the breakfast hostess very prompt to replenish foods for a good many travelers.
Very nice hotel and super friendly staff. Everything was great from the decor of the lobby and breakfast area to the room. The breakfast was great with a nice variety especially as we were an extended stay.
No elevator so if your traveling light or don't mind the stairs ask for first floor if you don't like stairs. Pool was outdoors and lovely. Free breakfast was pretty good! Clean and nice size rooms. We'd stay there again!
My review on this property is you can not go wrong in staying at this location. I have stayed at many different Hotels but have never had this great experience every time I check in to the time I check out. You will love the whole staff and the cleanliness of this property. THUMBS UP!
I was extremely happy with my stay here during my visit. I was here to attend an Oregon Eastern Star annual session, and everything was wonderful! I shared my room with 3 other ladies and we were very comfortable with the room and appreciated the continental breakfast that was available every morning. I will definitely recommend this motel to others and I will be back in the future!
We have stayed here many times, and as always the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotless, Decor is newer. The hot tub is outside under a cover, so that is nice. The breakfast is very good and they have a large vareity. Easy on and off access from the freeway.
Nothing spectacular - a good room at a good price. Great staff - very helpful and attentive. Pool and hot-tub area were very nice and well-designed - pool is outdoor. I recommend this location for travelers who need a good clean room at a good price, close to the interstate. All rooms are well-away from the Interstate, so there is little highway noise. You can ask for a room furthest from the road - we were about 1/2 way back, and there was no noise problem.
The desk clerk, Myra, was very pleasant and accommodating. We were looking for a restaurant and she showed us several menus that she had and discussed the restaurants different kinds of foods and what she'd heard. We chose the Sundown. We chose the 2nd floor to avoid pet dander on the 1st floor that accepts pets and they have no elevator. We, in our 70's, didn't mind the exercise but would caution people that might have difficulty with that. Other than that, pretty average, nice, good cookies after 6 and good breakfast.
On our journey through Oregon we didn't make advance reservations because we weren't sure how far we could get. So as we approached Pendleton and decided to stop here, my husband got on his phone and made online reservations as we approached the area. It was a decent price and had the best ratings. We were definitely pleased with the room and pool areas. Our only "complaint" was that we found out that we could have gotten a cheaper rate if we had just been a "walk-up" customer instead of reserving in advance. The free breakfast was average (nothing extra to make it stand out).
An overnight stop on a long road trip. This was a good place to rest up. Pool and spa were a great asset to help rest the body and get some exercise. Caution: Do not book hotel through Expedia or any other Hotel booking company because Best Western Points are not allowed. Booking sites don't tell you that. Use BW Hotel directory on line to make your reservation.
This is my second time staying at this Best Western since April. It's a clean, quiet place with beautiful views of the Blue Mountain foothills and the valley. It's located just off I-84, the interstate that crosses Oregon east and west, and is a short distance to downtown Pendleton. The staff is friendly. A 24-hour restaurant (Shari's) and a gas station are across the street. The free wi-fi is fast and reliable. The beds are also comfortable. Laundry facilities are available, and there is plenty of parking. There is no elevator, though, so if your mobility is limited, book a room on the first floor.
Easy location just off the freeway; comfy beds, extra outlets on the desk and bedside; nice fitness center and very friendly staff. Highly recommend it. Good breakfast and nice fresh cookies in the afternoon.
We stayed here for a softball tournament with entire team. Was an overall good hotel. Breakfast was good. Pool and hot tub were nice. Rooms were clean. Would recommend requesting floor 1 if you have a lot of items, like we did. No elevator and packing all of our softball gear up and down the stairs was quite a chore.
We really enjoyed our stay in this facility. The great staff and the rooms are very nice. The breakfast was amazing in the quality of the food and the quantity of choices. Did not allow time to use the pool or hot tub, but the looked great and we will make sure we allow more time during our next stay.
Front desk agent was extremely helpful and courteous. I had booked (erroneously) for the next night. She helped me to correct the problem, and even offered to help me change my subsequent reservations at other hotels. Some were Best Western, but not all.
This Best Western was the best one that we had stayed in. All of the amenities was excellent. The staff was awesome including the maids and maintenance. What surprised me on the efficiency and how security minded they were, was when the locks and keys were changed for our protection. Great place to stay.
From the moment we walked into the lobby we could tell this was a great place. The lobby was very classy looking and the desk staff was very friendly and attentive. Our room was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. The Breakfast room was immaculate and very well organized, the attendant friendly and attentive and the food good. Also we arrived a little early but our room was ready and waiting for us. This is the nicest Best Western That we have stayed at in quite a while.
Multiple stays over seven years. Convenient location to Interstate #84. Well maintained. Helpful staff at Reception, also management. Quality & quantity of self-serve breakfast service among best, replenished attentatively. Love the 24-hr coffee service and warm cookies early evening. Will always return to this hotel when in vicinity.
Clean, easy to find and check-in to. Friendly, efficient staff. Would easily stop here again if on our route. Did not use pool or hot tub as weather was cool, but everything about our stay was good. Nights were quiet, breakfast was fine.
Good value for the money. Good variety for breakfast that is included in the room rate. Very helpful staff in giving directions to other Pendleton places to see. A little hard to find, but high signs helped.
Staff were courteous and very friendly, going out of their way to may us feel welcome as part of the family. At Check-in briefed us on treats available in the evening and at breakfast. Room was clean, neat and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast offering had everything you could ask for and fresh baked Cookies with Milk for evening snack were delicious.
The staff ar Best Western Pendeleton Inn were very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The location is very convenient too since it is just off the main highway (I84). And there are rooms where pets are allowed.
My stay was very enjoyable, starting with an excellent night's sleep. The bed was very comfortable, the room temperature controllable, the air conditioning not loud, the bathroom very clean and well-stocked. There is an excellent fitness room, and a delicious breakfast. I would choose this Best Western again!
Were on our way home from Salt Lake City and Denver and Pendleton is our favorite stopping point on the way. We had not stayed at the Best Western there before, and found if very pleasant. Nice room, comfy bed and a great breakfast. We'd stay there again.
Took a van load of church members to Tutuilla Church Evangelestic Meeting. Native American churches enjoy what we call evangelistic meetings where we host neighboring churches to enjoy services with us.
Excellent experience and great staff at Best Western Pendleton Inn. The staff was great and the room was very accommodating. Access to the freeway was easy and we really enjoyed our stay. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Pendleton Oregon.
After traveling for several hundred miles and a couple of nights on the road, staying at the Best Western in Pendleton was just right place to stay. We were very tired of eating fast food, so we asked the girl who checked us in where we could eat that she could recommend. We ate at the Sundown Bar and Grill, and we would happily go there again if we're in the area. We were very happy with our stay at this Best Western. Our room was very neat and clean, and all of the staff were great. We didn't stay to eat because we wanted to get an early start, but it sure looked and smelled delicious!
My neighbor got up at 2:45 am and turned on the bathroom fan. It was so loud that I woke with a start. They left it on all night. Other than that hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean although sheets had a perfumed scent.
This was a great place to stay, quit comfertable good food including the milk and cookies, Staff was great. Rooms were great walking distance to resterant and a loung. everything work well in the room. Great job great place. Clean room every night
Great place to stay if visiting Pendleton. Great location and close to shopping and dining. Easy off and on Interstate, nice rooms and secure parking. One of the best places to stay if in Pendleton. The staff are great and very helpful.
this hotel always is spotless-breakfast is good although the area to get you food is a bit small there is good amount of choices-even had no sugar added cocoa which is a thoughtful amenity! I highly recommend this hotel-been stying here for years when I pass through Pendleton
Travelling back from our Winter Home, we usually always stay in Pendleton, great little city lots of good restaurants and good access to highway. Hotel is clean and modern and serves a good breakfast. Also, offer free cookies in the evening. Internet was fine and TV channels offered were excellent.
We were on a road trip through the state and decided to spend the night at this Best Western. As we were looking for a place, the rate for this hotel was $98 on THEIR Web Site. We arrived thinking we could book the same rate at the desk BUT the rate we were quoted was $138. We when showed the lady at the desk the rate on THE HOTEL'S WEB SITE. She told us they must have a special rate. At that point she began cleaning up the desk area and we basically became invisible to her as she busied herself. We went out to our car and verified the rate on line. I am a Best Western Gold Member and this is how much I am valued??? Not that that should have even mattered. Needless to say, we left and took our business else where. I don't understand how a hotel can refuse to give a rate they advertise?! I travel A LOT and now I will be rethinking my hotel choices as Best Western has always been one of my choices when available.
I love the consistency of Best Westerns and the quality of their beds, and this hotel was no exception. The staff is always helpful and professional. We have stayed at other hotels in the Pendleton area and we would not stay at any of them again. The breakfast was excellent and cookies and milk in the evening are always appreciated. We look forward to many return visits to this Best Western.
Best Western is extremely family friendly. we stayed in a two rom deluxe suite. the room came with breakfast. real breakfast. waffles, eggs, pancakes and omelets to order. Rooms were clean, contemporary with excellent art work. staff was friendly and proficient. when my family and I travel we'll only stay at Best Western.
A wonderful place to stay. The rooms are large and well maintained.Beds are comfortable and the rooms quiet. Breakfast is very good. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. One of my favorite places on the road.
our second stay at this hotel. great location. away from noisy traffic or railways . excellent parking area. probably the best breakfast of any hotel included staff were very helpful and accommodating of our needs. would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for one nite, passing thru on the Interstate. This hotel is right off the freeway, perfect location when you're sick of driving. Room was very clean, very quiet, bed was comfy, shower very good. Breakfast good, with eggs, sausage, good fruit salad. Reasonable rates. WiFi very good.
We stay at this hotel on our way to and from Arizona for winter holiday. The place is very well kept. The service is always top notch and the rooms are clean and well appointed. My only concern is that it says it is 'pet friendly' and then they charge you $20 per pet - not pet friendly in my opinion. Other BWs along our route charge $10. or do not charge all. Will by-pass this hotel next year because of that.
Everything was very nice for our stay, and the fresh cookies in the evening was a lovely touch. Very friendly staff and very clean rooms. A little restaurant across the road let us take out some dinner as we were exhausted from driving a long distance.
Nothing exotic or fancy at this place just off the Interstate. Average to slightly big room, clean, decent furnishings. Pleasant, efficient staff, seamless check-in. Not close to downtown, but Pendleton is not exactly huge. Nothing is too far away! I found the bed to be a bit too firm for my personal comfort, but my spouse had no problems with it at all. The place is pet friendly, though of course, there is an extra charge. It's also reasonably quiet, since it was quite full the night we stayed here. The complementary breakfast is more generous than most. A decent value. We would stay here again.
I am never disappointed when we stay here. Always clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Breakfast is adequate and easy to grab as you are heading out. I happened to not be feeling well this trip and they sent me on the way with a biz of tissues when I mentioned I had used them all. A little thing for sure, but all the little things add up quickly.
Nice Clean and Quiet ... the amenities are great also. Not far from gas station or a restaurant. Beds are very comfortable.pricing was not bad at all either. Clean and no bad odors, now that is a plus for us... Front desk help was very nice and respectful. Breakfast was excellent. We had a great time, and we will return again!
I always get great service at Best Westerns; however this hotel went above and beyond. The staff helped to change reservations. The breakfast was superb! the staff was knowledge about restaurants, the cheapest gas and how to get to the conference I was attending. They saved me a cookie; even though, I missed the cookie serving time.
We always choice this location for our stay in Pendleton. The entire staff is always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and nice. I have traveled a lot over the last 40 plus years and this property is First Class.
It is always a pleasure to stay at this Best Western. They have gone out of their way to make a great fitness area which I was just to tired to use this time, nice pool etc. They take pride in their presentation.
Staff is great - rooms are clean - great selection of channels on the TV - great Treadmill in fitness center! Close to the interstate for business travelers, close to downtown for dinner and Starbucks in the morning.
Room was very clean, room was quite, beds were comfortable, breakfast was hot, fresh and plentiful. Staff was excellent during our stay. Reservation changes were handled very professionally and courteously. Truly a great place for rest for the weary traveler.
I typically stay here while I am in town on business or traveling through for business. This location always has good clean rooms and they are just off the freeway so you are close to highway and yet don't usually hear any traffic noise. Pendleton also offers a number of restaurants for great dinning. And if you are just too tired to get back in your car and drive a few blocks into town there is even a Shari's Café just across the street so great hospitality and great location along with a great view of the mountains in every direction. The hotel sits high on a hill so you can see in at least tree directions very well. The breakfast offered by the hotel is very well done too.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are a great value and very clean and enjoyable. The location worked well for my business trip in Pendleton.
This hotel is situated just off of the freeway, but far enough off to not get any noise. There is grass all around the hotel which makes it very easy to travel with a pet. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions.
This was pretty much what you expect from a Best Western: a fairly good bed, an OK breakfast, well set-up room, and clean, with a WI-FI that works well. The only negative for us was that our room was near the front, which meant that we were wakened in the middle of the night by truckers leaving who don't seem to realize that modern diesels don't need to be idled for half an hour before departure.
I travel a lot for business and always like to stay at this Best Western, it has been remodeled and rooms are very nice, the staff is friendly and the location is perfect. There are a few other hotels nearby but this one suits me best!
The hotel is conveniently located right off the interstate. The prices are average. The rooms are clean and a decent size. A variety of breakfast foods comes with your stay including protein items. The milk and warm cookies in the evening is a nice touch.
Very nice facility. Close to the Interstate. Easy check in and extremely helpful staff upon check out. Great breakfast, lots of variety, very nice dining room. Good parking area with easy access to rooms on the first floor. Does not have an elevator.
This place blew me away with their breakfast options! Not only did they have more food available than I've ever seen anywhere else, but they also had gluten free and dairy free options.... which I've never seen anywhere else. I was prepared to eat granola bars I'd brought, but viola! I could eat there! Would highly recommend.
We have stayed here before a number of years ago. We were impressed with the upgrades that have been made. Everything is clean and up-to-date. The breakfast was better than most motels that offer free breakfasts. Usually motel breakfasts are minimal, but the offerings they had were better than most. Overall good value for the night we stayed. The owner/manager (I'm assuming he was the owner/manager based on his comments) was very friendly and very focused on providing excellent service. He commented that they have made lots of upgrades and investments and it shows.
My wife and I always enjoy staying at a Best Western and never have been disappointed, this on was no exception, great place to stay. We believe the extra price difference in hotels is well made up for in the breakfast that is offered in the mornings. There is something for every ones taste and diet.
Going the extra mile makes this hotel above average. We have stayed here at least seven other times. Again, we found the following to be true: The hotel is welcoming. The cookies and goodies are very nice. We were even given a gift bag on check in. The hotel team shares road conditions (for the Eastbound and Westbound drives) with the guests. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The free breakfast has a very good selection of meats, eggs, starches, fruit, etc. they also have a Belgian waffle maker. Access from the freeway is very simple. The hotel has a hot tub. The swimming pool is outdoor and closed for the season. As travel needs dictate, this hotel is at the top of our preferred list.
Our family of four stayed one night. We were not expecting much and were pleasantly surprised. The room was well organized and spotless. The beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the cookies at night and the waffle maker at breakfast!
I am planning my trips from Boise to Portland again for the next year. As long as they keep an unfriendly old woman who wreaks of cigarette smoke I will never return. I have had my attorney mail a detailed letter to Best Western corporate offices It is about time to put a Marriott property in Pendleton like Walla Walla. .
I was only here for one night. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was in good working order. The breakfast was of a good variety and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend to a friend. It is likely that I will stay here again in the Spring.
The Best Western in Pendleton, OR, is a regular stopover on our trips from Nevada to Washington. The rooms are always clean, attractive and pleasant, and the staff is invariably accommodating. The price per night is entirely competitive. Breakfasts are ample in variety, attractively presented, and delicious. We highly recommend this Inn.
We tried to stay at the Wildhorse Casino & Resort, but they were all booked up. We've stayed at the Red Lion Inn in Pendleton on Nye Street, but decided to try Best Western as I have stayed at many Best Westerns for business in Salem. My husband really liked the bed. Very comfortable. So comfortable, he fell asleep watching boxing. That's unusual!
Our 5th stay at this hotel on our trip to.from Arizona. We chose BW because they accept our 2 dogs. A little peeved that they doubled the pet fee to $20.per dog this time. All the other BWs on the trip have no pet fee. We are very careful with our dogs and go out of our way to make sure that they cause no problems.
The rooms were overpriced but I understand they have you in a remote location. Continental bkfast was not edible. Customer service wasn't bad. We were in a bind or would have stayed elsewhere. Nothing impressed me about this hotel.
This Best Western is a great place to stay while visiting Pendleton. It's really close to everything and is great for getting off and on the interstate. Very secure, quite rooms with plenty of parking. The staff is very nice and very helpful. Hotel is one of the best in Pendleton.
Very comfortable, newer furnishings motel and affordable, reasonable price. Location very convenient for where we needed to be with services available nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. One of the nicer Best Westerns we have stayed at in the area.
This is a first-class hotel! Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable! The breakfast is fantastic! The staff went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable! A must-stay!
Although I have had a couple of extra firm beds over the years, the rooms are always clean, comfortable and meet all our needs. The staff have always been helpful and never condescending or put out by our special needs.
My husband and I were on our first road trip and were heading to Nampa, Idaho to check out the Cracker Barrel restaurant. We wanted to check out the Pendleton store and decided to stay the night. Glad that we did as the property was very nice and clean and the staff were very friendly. We will be back to check out the town. Some very interesting looking shops.
The Best affordable room I have stayed in a long time. Will starting looking for Best Western from now on. For me the beds were perfect. Clean and quiet. Stayed at other hotels and they were nice but the beds were just too soft. Staff was very helpful and had a smile. It was a very pleasant stay.
We booked this hotel every year when we are travelling to Arizona. This year we found the hotel quite noisy, reefer trucks idling outside, people coming and going and talking in the hallways etc. The room itself was fine although we would like the option to run the fan at low speed to mask some noise but that option was not available, you either had to heat or cool the room, and it would cycle on and off. Breakfast was good, the omelets they provided however were not, I'm not sure what they were but they didn't taste like eggs. We had our dog with us but they were not aware of it until we got there and the charge for pets is now $20 where IIRC it used to be $10. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and tidy. We will look at other options before booking here again.
great staff; caring and considerate. I enjoyed the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. There was plenty of room and consideration for my service animal. Very much appreciated. The breakfast was appealingly presented; the room, no frills, but very clean and well maintained.
We stayed in a two room suite, one room had a big king sized bed, and the other room had two queens. Great to have the whole family sleep in an actual bed. Very clean, and as always Best Western breakfast had a lot of hot & cold options. Overall a good stay.
We travel from British Columbia to Utah several times a year. We always stay at the Best Western in Pendleton. OR. They have never let us down. Just off the freeway. Always provide a consistent, high-quality experience. You cannot go wrong with Best Western in Pendleton.
Everything was clean and neat at this location. We have stayed at many, many Best Western hotels and this had the best breakfast by far. They not only had the full selection, they had Denver omelets besides!! Very nice staff and helpful. Being elderly they accommodated us by putting us on the ground floor.
This was the last night of a 3 week vacation and we mostly stayed at Best Westerns and this was a good example the good quality motel chain that it is. The room was very clean and comfortable, The Staff friendly and helpful, with easy access to and from the freeway.
On a road trip, got to pendleton and headed to the Best Western. Quick and efficient and friendly check-in, a nice king bed in a quiet wing to the east away from road noise on the second floor. Standard amenities, including free wifi. Clean and neat. Breakfast spread reasonably good for a free continental breakfast. Coffee black and hot. No real negatives and a great price
Very nice Best Western (I've stayed in some Best Western Plus hotels that weren't as nice). Quiet location and rooms and a good breakfast. Many rooms overlook the rolling hills and the Blue Mountains in the distance.
great place to stay on the way to or from the coast. Clean large comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and good breakfast are the well met standard for this hotel, and Best Western Plus properties. Other hotels in the immediate area are either more money for the same quality, or just cheaper.
Best coffee ever at a hotel. For a standard Best Western the room charge was too high. Hotel staff was good. Breakfast was standard fare. The room was comfortable and I experienced no problems during my stay. Might not stay again because of the price.
This is an excellent Inn with friendly staff and very clean rooms. The breakfast was very good. The only thing I could fault is the off-season price which could have been a little less in my opinion. The location is easy to find from the freeway and parking was adequate. I suppose that another suggestion might be to keep the dining area open in the evening for people like ourselves who are very tired of driving and do not want to venture forth to find food. Overall we were very pleased with this Best Western Inn and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone travelling in the area.
We have stayed in several other motels in the Pendleton area and the Best Western is in our opinion the best value. The breakfast bar there is the best we have encountered just about anywhere. The breakfast staff is also very helpful and efficient.
I actually really liked this hotel; the front desk staff were nice and helpful, the lobby was decorated well, the hallways were wide and clean and the rooms were large and fairly well laid out. I especially liked having an extra sink outside of the bathroom, that always helps for getting ready in the morning. Breakfast was way above average and in a nice location--there weren't quite enough seats for everyone who wanted them, but sharing a table wasn't a problem. The only thing that we didn't like is that were coming off a cruise with way too much luggage and were bringing it all inside to reorganize for the trip home. The problem with that plan is that we were on the second floor and there were no elevators! We managed though, but the initial prospect was a little hard to swallow.
My experience with this Best Western has been very positive. The rooms are well appointed and the value is affordable. This is my second time to stay in this facility. The front desk employee was able to change our room location to allow visible access to our vehicle. Warm cookies were provided at night and an attractively arranged breakfast was available in the morning for four hours.
As a Marriott rewards member, I try to stay at Marriott properties to earn points, alas, there were no Marriott properties in Pendleton. After checking with my trusty trip advisor app, I saw the reviews for this hotel and decided to risk it. I had stayed at a BW years ago and was sorely disappointed! I am glad we took the risk! The staff were friendly, rooms were clean and well appointed and the price was great.
I stayed here with my wife for one night on the way home from a trip and we enjoyed our stay. It's conveniently located to the freeway, a Shari's is across the street and there is a great view of the hills from the back. We had a room on the second floor that overlooked the back parking lot and had a king bed. We thought it was very comfortable and appreciated the microwave and fridge in the room as well. The breakfast in the morning wasn't anything to get excited about (the usual continental) but it's not a make or break as far as determining a future stay. The only disappointments were the pool was closed for the season ( a nice warm day when we arrived; a dip would have been nice) and the lack of recycling anywhere on the property. If possible, we would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our two stays at the Best Western Pendleton Inn so much that it convinced us to stay at other Best Westerns. (This review is based on our stay at this Best Western on two different occasions during a two-week period.) Both times, our room was very clean and spacious. The king-sized bed was firm and comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The furniture was up to date, and we liked the granite countertops in the bathroom. The dining area was very nice, with a low-volume TV for news, and a scenic window for viewing the mountains. A couple of areas for improvement: Better lighting for reading would be nice. We had a broken toilet hinge, which we reported, but no action was taken by the time we returned on the second day of our first stay. We also received no extra soap for our second day's stay. Overall, however, we were quite impressed with the BW Pendleton Inn. We would definitely stay there again.
We have a motorcycle group that was doing a scenic ride from Baker to Hells Canyon then home. Pendleton was a convenient stop on Saturday night before leaving the next morning for home. It was competitive in price that is why we switched from the Red Lion just down the street.
Very nice hotel. I was only there for 8 hours (checked in late and left early) but the room was clean, nice big screen tv and a really comfortable king size bed. I left before they opened the breakfast room at 6:00am but it sure looked good.
This hotel is top notch in all they provide for travelers. Clean rooms, excellent service and breakfast. Would not stay any where else. They also have good parking and lighting and I have never had a security issue while staying there.
