Staff were friendly and helpful. bed comfy and clean. Good air con and pool was nice too. Could use a little TLC in places. there was a lot of dust and rubbish behind the beds. fridge was frozen over and dripping. shower was basic. but generally ok
The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to use the remote for the TV. The internet was easy to access. The bathroom was small and the few hangers could not be removed from the "closet" rod. It is nice that the breakfast was available but it wasn't great. The room was on the second floor and there is no elevator in this motel. I would only stay at this hotel again if I could get a room on the first floor.
The staff was so kind and we really appreciated all their efforts but both smoke free rooms reeked of smoke, walls were thin so we herd road noise stc, and bedding was stained. We could not leave fast enough and switch hotels the next day. Also felt unsafe.
Nice breakfast with hot and cold options. Just off main road and not hard to find, but in quite area. Easy check in and out with very friendly front desk clerk and staff. Parking around buildings was well lite.
Great location for a midway stop on our journey. Rooms were very clean and recently updated/refreshed. Some construction in progress to thr stairs. Breakfast buffet was ample. Rooms out front and upstairs are a bit noisy on a windy day because the outdoor soffet is loose causing regular rattle/booming sounds.
They don't change the sheets, Had the same sheet all week, unsure if it was changed out from the last people. Iv killed multiple roaches, not a very clean place to stay. Would rather drive 30 minutes to a better hotel
The room was in the back building and was quiet. The bedding was clean and the beds were soft. Wi-fi, ok. Breakfast, it could use a little variety. Lots of parking which in the land of SUVs and pick-ups is a requirement. There was nothing outstanding about this hotel except the price.
Area is near Lexington, easy drive to Louisville. Our room was very clean, but with missing drapery. Pool area is fenced with a gate, but even very young children could easily open gate and get inside, so not very safe. And latch on pool gate barely worked. Management very kind, knowledgeable, helpful. Excellent bed and bedding - we always count on Best Western to have the best mattresses.
The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The biscuits were a little hard to cut through and there was a line for the waffle maker. I loved that blueberry waffle was an option. The rooms seemed clean until we had to move the chair to get something we dropped. Under the chair was dirty and needed vaccuumed. Overall satisfied and would stay again.
Staff is is awesome, beds comfortable, room clean. I checked in with boots that were caked in mud and the front desk person assured me that it was no big deal and that the floors were always cleaned before they left. The breakfast always has a wide selection. Very welcoming and friendly. Great place to stay.
This is my go to hotel when I stay in Paris. The breakfast is great, close to all interesting venues, clean with an outstanding breakfast. Front desk staff and housekeeping are very friendly and helpful.
Parking was ample. Room was clean and housekeeping did a fine job over our 2 day stay (I strongly recommend getting the non-smoking room if you are not a smoker). It was only 3.5 miles to Claiborne farms for our tour, so that was a major plus as we didn't have an 18 mile or so commute to Lexington to deal with... The motel is close to fast food places and in-town eateries, so finding somewhere to eat was easy. Downside - the room was "tight"; with 2 queen beds and a desk and chair, a sitting chair, nightstand, tv/dresser, etc... we found ourselves turning sideways to maneuver around. You also had to wedge yourself between the toilet and tub in order to close the bathroom door. All in all it was a clean typical hotel room that was tighter than normal, but the reasonable price made it much easier to accept.
Over the past months I have stayed at a variety of hotels and the Best Western Paris Inn is by far one of my favorites. They have a fabulous complimentary breakfast with a huge variety of breakfast foods, a pool they allowed my grandchildren to use while visiting and it's close to all the attractions in Lexington. Everyone from the front desk attendant to housekeeping were accommodating and friendly. Great Place to Stay.
The hallways and room smelled awful, like they sprayed with something to cover up all the cigarette smoking going on. Not very clean. Paris should divorce itself from this motel, or work to improve it for their visitors.
Room was clean. Internet worked great. Fast check-in. Slight odor. For some reason this review must be at least 200 characters. Never seen that before. I'm almost there. Why is this taking so long????
Our room was clean and staff were helpful in recommending an excellent place to dine. The location of this hotel was easy to access and we were very surprised and grateful to see signage as we arrived to the main road from a side road. We would recommend this hotel for your stay.
We have stayed at this location several times. The outside could use some sprucing up. The rooms were very clean. The staff was very friendly. The location is fine, close to Paris and everything we needed. Because of Covid the lobby was not open but we were able to check in and out with no issues. Everyone was very nice and accomodating.
Worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. When we first arrived the room had a terrible odor to it and had an overall sense of uncleanliness. There were stains on the bed's comforter. The tub had grime on the outside wall and some kind of gray stain on the bottom, I put a towel down to stand on while I showered because I had no idea what that staining was. The toilet lid was hanging off of one hinge. The mirror outside the bathroom had mold stains across the top 1/4 of the glass. The refrigerator had a used water bottle in the freezer compartment and had water pooling all over the bottom when we first opened it. The plate in the microwave had food stains on it. The TV would not change from the kids channel that it was turned to. Considering we are in the midst of a glabal pandemic this is not the time to have to sleep and bathe in a dirty place, if anything it seems that most places are going overboard in cleaning so I was shocked at these conditions.
Well we ended up at the Paris Best Western by true accident. We had to leave another hotel due to unforeseen circumstances. In any case we had to leave and find a new place. The hotel was reserved in a pinch, because all of the rooms on our exit were booked. We intended to go to the next town over to Mt. Sterling, but my wife thought Paris was probably close/in Mt. Sterling. It wasn't. We got to enjoy 30 minutes driving in the dark through what looked to be beautiful countryside. The room was spotless. Warm cozy bed. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was super nice. Props to the management, great continental breakfast and very clean dining area. I wish that we could have spent more time in Paris. I hear they have a Jerry's restaurant.
Easy to find, safe parking for our motorcycles, offered towels in the morning to clean the rain off the bikes. the rooms was clean, comfortable beds, reasonably priced, has a nice size refrigerator which keeps your food and drinks cold. I felt safe and secure.
2 stars only because staff was so friendly, otherwise it would be 1. Walls are paper thin. I got zero sleep. There was a group of about 5 men in the room next to mine. I could hear their entire conversation as if they were in the same room as me, and the bed (where I was) wasn't even on the shared wall. I could hear the click of beer/soda cans opening. I could hear their phones ringing and even vibrating on the furniture. I could hear pee stream into the toilet. It was awful. Even with the a/c on and playing music from my phone I could not drown out the noise. Around 2am I knocked on their door and they didn't answer, so I called the front desk for help. No answer there either. When I called the desk again around 2:30 Lisa answered and was very nice and offered to call them and ask them to quiet down. They did not until about 4am. I realize that the hotel cannot control how guests behave, but it also should not be made with such thin walls. I have never stayed in a hotel where I could hear literally everything. I had another business trip planned for next week at this same hotel and cancelled it, I'll stay a little further away and hopefully get some sleep.
I always enjoy staying at the Best Western the breakfast is always good. The lady that checked us in was very pilot and helpful and had just started working there 2 weeks prior.Thank you for accommodating us.
We have stayed here quite a few times. Room was very clean and comfortable as well as the pool. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Cherie(sp?) was especially cheerful and pleasant. We asked for an extra sheet and it was delivered within minutes. They were experiencing problems with Spectra and waiting for a technician but in the meantime Cherie came to our room within minutes of us calling the desk and had the t.v. working. The pool is normally closed at 10p.m. but was left open for us to have a night swim. I have no complaints and would recommend anyone to stay.
The cleanliness of the hotel was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located near many great restaurants and a dog park near by. Hotel has a heated pool which is very nice and clean, and has tables and chairs. The pool has a handicap chair to assist in getting a handicap person in the pool.
Do not stay there! They have bed bugs, stains on the beds, hole from cigarette burn on sheets in smoke free room. It was horrible!! We went in was there for less than 30 mins when we discovered all this. We asked for a refund and they refused. We left and have contacted corporate. I had to go thru the process of heating everything we took into the room to insure I don't take them to my house!! So frustrating and they didn't care.
We Have relatives in the area and have stayed at this location several times. We have found the rooms clean, comfortable with nice amenities at a reasonable price. The free breakfast has great variety and is always fresh and hot. The Staff is friendly and very helpful. Austin and Johna were very helpful with special requests and helping us to get airline check in and boarding passes printed. The location is within minutes of the most awesomely beautiful horse country that we have ever seen. a short drive to the Kentucky Horse Park, The Thoroughbred Training center, and much more.
Probably the best option for the area, however, for as much as you pay please do not get your expectations proportionally high. You have to speak through a window to check in if you come after hours which makes you feel like a criminal and at the same time afraid of why they have that in the first place. No problems occurred but it isn't a place that I would "relax" in.
excellent place, friendly staff didnt experience any issues. any questions about area was answered by desk clerks. all had a smile which made it very pleasant. will stay again if in the area no problem.
Very nice hotel for the money. Easy and beautiful drive to the horse park. Would recommend this hotel and stay there again. Staff was friendly and room very nice. Breakfast was nice and loved the waffle maker.
I preplanned a stop to the Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky as I was traveling through this beautiful state. I decided to stop at the Best Western because after traveling for 700 previous miles from Ohio I needed to rest for my planned tour of this amazing farm for the next morning. The hotel was very quiet and had a comfortable bed, a nice shower with strong water pressure, but the only thing that was lacking was newer ameneties as the hotel was a little older and the furniture etc. matched the time period. However, the rooms were very clean and comfortable to make up for this fact and even provided a decent breakfast. I was able to wake up well rested and enjoyed my trip to Claiborne Farm the next morning and even did a speedy checkout just by calling the front desk. Overall a great place to stay if you are ever in the area!
My fiancee and I stayed here with our 2 year old son. As soon as we stepped through the door we were greeted so politely by the front desk. The place is beautiful and arranged well. You can tell that it has been recently renovated and it is not only pleasing to the eye but comfortable. Gives it a real home away from home setting. We could not be more pleased with the way this "trip" turned out. Incredible and friendly staff, clean and accommodating rooms, and the managers seem to be on top of things. We would HIGHLY recommend this establishment to people looking to have a comfortable stay at a fair price.
Very clean room, quiet area. Staff very friendly. Nice offerings for breakfast to satisfy all. All the.items you would expect for a filling meal. Lobby small but clean and welcoming. All rooms have outside entrances so keep in mind one must go outside to get to breakfast but you are always under cover. Only problem was the bathroom. The toilet is small and low to the floor,( had that before at other places), but, the vanity was ridiculously low . We are tall, but it was as if it was for a child. My husband had to get on his knees to shave to so that he would not have to bend over so far. Heat in room even and not loud.
Jeanine was quite helpful, cheerful and made our breakfast time so much more enjoyable! We got up early and beat the crowds in the B-rooma and enjoyed some quiet time. Appreciate thy Jeanine! :) Thanks
Quiet place. Easy to find. Breakfast is great. Hot eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and gravy. As well as the other standard items. And the value was much better than most of the other motels in the area.
I stayed here for 3 nights room were extremely clean. The staff could not have been any nicer during my stay. I was without a car for the 3 days and the owner of the hotel even gave me a ride to a restaurant. I didn't find out until later that he was the owner. Definitely 5 stars in my book.
Room needs to be checked better for cleanliness. Found a dirty towel on back of bathroom door.Could be quiter .frig was very very unleavel.Bed was nice, big and clean.a little pricey for the quality of room.
Friendly staff and great breakfast! I highly recommend this hotel, the hotel staff was very helpful with all of the needs of our stay. The price was very reasonable, great price for a great hotel. The breakfast was very good too.
Short and sweet- travelers just need advice where to stay where facilities are nice and staff is above average and go the extra mile to provide good service. I would definitely recommend the Paris Inn- Best Western to anyone.
Since this is the only chain motel in Paris, KY, the staff could easily slack off and not provide the best service. The opposite is true!! This Best Western is always clean and constantly updated. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and kept well supplied. Our family stays here at least three times a year and always enjoys our time there!!
The staff is very friendly and eager to assist with anything that they can to make your stay more enjoyable. The beds are comfortable and the cleaning staff did a very nice job of cleaning around our belongings, without disturbing them. The ONLY thing that I would recommend, is perhaps changing up the hot part of the breakfast menu, for those that are staying more than one night.
I came in 2013 and stayed in this town and visited again last week and stayed at Best Western Paris. You certainly can't go wrong selecting this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained with a great staff in a perfect location. Very friendly and efficient staff. Beds were so comfortable. I had enough towels and washcloths and pillows. Room temperature was just right. Best Western Hotels are always the best.
We had a competition in Paris and stayed at the Best Western. Upon arriving everyone was very nice and willing to help. The rooms were very clean and just what we needed for a weekend stay. They had a solid breakfast, more than I expected. I had a great nights sleep and liked the mattress so much, I called the week after my Stay and the GM took the time to email me the name of the mattress manufacturer. Thanks to the entire team at this Best Western, you make a difference.
We choose this hotel because it is close to my friend's farm, but it also has proven to be an excellent choice anyway. the beds are great. It is close to downtown Paris and a lot of conveniences. the manager really cares about his visitors and a front desk staff person named ?Johnna is very special. we will do t use to stay there when we visit Lexington
Very nice and clean. Great water pressure in the shower. Staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. My room had been refreshed with new tile and carpeting. Breakfast good and price very reasonable.
Not a lot of options in Paris and a lot of times that spells doom (see literally ANY hotel in the UP of Michigan) for travelers as they're helpless on options but this place is actually nice. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Stayed for 4 nights on business. This property isn't fancy, my shower could use some updating but overall a nice place. The service is good, front desk staff is friendly and courteous. My room was very clean (a very important criteria to me) and even though the property is not new it is well maintained.
Convenient, clean, quiet, adequate breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Beds are absolutely great and I slept really well. Heat/cool system is good. A basic motel room that makes your stay comfortable, and I would stay there again
Hotels should be required to tell you when they are undergoing construction and remodeling. I understand that there is no good time for work to take place BUT until 8 at night? And on weekends? And without informing a guest in advance?! Add to the noise a welder spraying sparks from the second floor balcony down on to guests walking into a door And add to the total lack of sound proofing between rooms (particularly connecting rooms, I now know way too much about those folks). The front desk was informed and notified the manager who promised to have the work halted by 5:15 on a Saturday. Work finally ended about 6 and not before a pipe was cut sending water down to a room on the floor below. Just a bad experience all around. BUT, the staff (not the management) were competent, friendly and tried hard to do the right thing.
If you have to stay. Then you have to stay. If you have an option keep driving find another place. We made reservations on Expedia. The rooms are paid for in advance. The hotel charged are credit card for two extra nights that we've already paid for online. The hotel manager/owner refuses to discuss their error. Avoid the hassle don't stay here.
Hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was the usual free breakfast items. Breakfast attendant was very nice and kept up with breakfast. The rooms were clean and updated. Not a bad location. Would stay again.
Visit to family was wonderful.. Hotel could use some outdoor seating. Weather was perfect but no place to sit and read while waiting for others. Lobby was very small so that there not many options except to stay in room.
Super- friendly staff, solid room. Not an incredible location, but Paris is beautiful and the hotel is close to everything. Staff takes great pride in their hotel and follows up on everything. Close enough to Lexington.
I was in town for a wedding this past weekend and booked 2 nights here. When I pulled up to the bw Paris I was a little concerned because the exterior looks a little run down and dated... however when I got to my room I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice bed and clean room. Bathroom a little small with the sink outside the toilet/shower but not too bad. Staff very nice too and even let me check in 30 mins early. Overall I'd give it a 4/5 just because the exterior needs a little updating.
This was a good option for staying close to Paris, within walking distance of Walmart and Dairy Queen. Free parking. Staff was very friendly. There was a hearty breakfast - more than usual. Nothing fancy but clean and tidy. I'd stay there again.
Wonderful place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. I'll for sure stay here again when I'm back. Great staff. Highly recommend. Clean rooms and nice lobby. Close to stores and restaurants. Thank you
Great Breakfast a large variety of items, they not only had regular waffle mix but blueberry as well, very clean rooms, staff was great pleasant and courteous, especially Jeanine (loved her pedicure). Just wish i had time to sit poolside.
We stayed here without a reservation, due to unexpected car problems and nasty weather. The desk clerk was extremely helpful when we called about vacancies, and he was even MORE helpful once we got there and got checked in. He recommended an excellent and honest auto mechanic to look at and repair our car the next day. He recommended a good restaurant that delivered to our room. He even tried to help me diagnose what the problem was with my car, using a nifty little Bluetooth device he had. As for the hotel/room itself: Pros— • Clean room, comfortable, FIRM beds • Grooming area separate from the bathroom (toilet & shower/tub) • Lots of electrical outlets • Good shower • Good sized fridge • Work table with office chair (even though the chair was a bit worse for wear...) • Comfortable easy chair • Wi-fi was kind of difficult to get going on our phones, though once we got connected, it seemed to work pretty well. • No overpowering disinfectant smells (I like clean; I don't like being knocked over by the smell of whatever they use to clean.) • Quiet Cons— • The sink faucet had a broken handle. Don't whether it was broken before our arrival or just happened to break off when we used it. • Like most all hotels these days, they use the very white bright (LED?) lighting. I much prefer the softer lighting options. • Only ONE comfortable easy chair! (Why do so many hotels only provide one comfortable easy seating option—if they even provide that???) Unknowns: • Breakfast—we didn't eat there • Swimming pool—can't even tell you whether they have one there
We were in town for a funeral and they staff went out of their way to make sure our family members were in rooms next to each other even the members who didn't have rooms reserved, The people there were just great and very caring .
Our family reunion selected the Best Western as our site for out of town guests. We arrived on Friday afternoon and had our meet and greet in the dining space off the lobby. Breakfast is included with the room price. The rooms were nicely decorated and included a microwave and refrigerator. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Great weekend.
This is a pleasant and comfortable place to stay when visiting Paris, KY. The location is convenient to what I like to do when in town. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and neat. It is a well kept and a reasonably priced motel.
Jeanine and Austin were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the hot breakfast had a good variety of food. The beds were comfortable and the outside pool was awesome. We would stay there again.
Mine and my mother's stay at this hotel has been nothing but wonderful! The rooms, breakfast, pool, and staff members are just simply perfect. One staff member I would like to point out specifically is Ms. Jeanine, she has been the most kind, funny, and so very helpful to us during our stay here. One of the best hotels we have encountered, we definitely look forward to our next stay here! Thank you!
Great place to stay! Beds comfortable. Rooms clean and modern.Staff helpful and friendly. Price was great. Great location. Close to Clairborne Farms. Nice scenic drive(less than an hour)to get to The Ark. Definitely recommend!
Very clean and comfortable hotel. The breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold breakfast foods and was well stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our fridge didn't get cold but that is my only complaint. This hotel is easily missed since the sign is a little small. It is located right behind a car dealership.
We checked in today, seeing it is really a motel I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised that the room was not bad, and neat. A little uncomfortable with several people sitting in lawn chairs smoking at the entrance of the staircase, avoided them the 2nd time by coming up the stairs at the other end of the hotel.. but when the party continued and got louder past 9:30 pm requested a different room. learning people from a nearby apartment building were living here..... A room switch wasn't a problem but the new room now smells like strong paint or chemical... don't understand this as the building has about 10 cars in the lot. Yet they stack customers in one area. Feeling like I don't want to come back to Paris ever. I asked why and was told "well tonight the place might be full" oh ok,,,I keep my eye on that. yet still those who plan ahead with reservations get a crappy room because the quiet rooms for for those who just pull in?
wonderful time friendly staff awesome pool only problem no outdoor area to just sit and enjoy except for pool area weather was nice would have like to sit outside and enjoy the evening but not at pool area
The lady who booked the reservation was professional, helpful and courteous. The stay was perfect. The young lady at the front desk on the evening of June 16th was wonderful. She was engaging, helpful and it was evident she likes her job!
Great hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made a point to have their pool open for our visit even though it was a few days before they would normally open it. Breakfast was good, clean and nicely presented. Would stay again.
The staff is friendly, polite, and accommodating. Our room was clean with good amenities, a refrigerator, microwave, a large flat screen Television. The price was very reasonable. We loved the free breakfast offering.
Jean Anne was a wonderful help. She went out of her way to bring us our keys at Walmart when they got left behind. We have stayed here in the past. Everyone is always nice and the rooms are always clean. They have a great team at the Best Western in Paris.
Jeannine is like family every time I stay at the hotel. Her mom , Marilyn the manager , has taught her daughter well. Thank you Best Western for your fantastic staff and food and clean rooms!!! I will never stay anywhere else while in Paris kentucky. This is a family ,, at least that's how I feel while I'm staying there
I generally stay at this hotel when I go to this town. I like the convenience of the hotel and the rooms are very clean. I do wish all of the rooms where non-smoking. Due to this issue, many rooms for non-smoking are booked up and only smoking rooms are available. So many times I had to book another hotel down the street. There are not very many smoking available hotels, so I am not sure why this hotel is a smoking hotel. This option also makes the rooms stink and I am sure there is an increased liability for the hotel to offer smoking rooms and this is an increased expense because of this. These expenses are passed onto the customer, either smoking or not. I also know from one weekend to the next the price will jump from $90 a night to $130 in a night for the same room. I stayed two Saturdays in a row, and had to pay $40 more for the next Saturday I stayed. Hotel is good, but not worth $130 a night for this location. $80 to $90 is reasonable.
The room was clean and very comfortable. Great location to area attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful. Being a repeat customer, they recognized me and made me feel so welcome. I saw them doing the same for other customers. I will always stay here when visiting family in Paris and Lexington.
Great night's sleep in Paris with very courteous employees and wonderful breakfast!fast check in and check out. Our bed was very comfortable. Good coffee maker with coffee pods in the room. Belgian waffles for breakfast with yummy toppings!
We had a Wonderful time & Visited Claiborne Farms & saw the Burial place of Secretariat & where he was Conceived . We ate @ Lil's & met the Owner, who has a Bed & breakfast , near Claiborne Farms !!! Kentucky is So Beautiful & We saw Lots of Horses !!!!!! Jesus Loves You !!!!! I highly Reccommend this Hotel & Trip to Kentucky !!!!!!! Lexington, has Very Nice Churches also & Restaurants
Stayed here for 2 nights this weekend while visiting family and it was a very nice place to stay. Very clean and the employees were great. Friendly and hospitable. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, as we opted to eat with family at a nearby restaurant. I did stop into the dining area before check out though and grabbed a couple doughnuts for the road and what I observed looked good. We will definitely stay here again in the future. The only thing I would suggest to management is to include some type of program guide in the room. A channel guide was included in the room booklet but the guide channel to see what programs were on was not available on the t.v. Wasn't that big of a deal for us, as we didn't spend much time watching t.v., but it would have been nice to know what was on rather than continuously flipping when we did watch t.v. All in all it was a very nice stay.
I arrived in Paris late at night, got totally lost twice - which is nearly impossible - it's a small town. I called the desk clerk (twice) who was so nice and helpful that I finally found it. (It's not hard to find.) When I checked in I was amazed to receive a little goodie bag with some peanut butter crackers and water and breakfast bars. That saved me, I could not deal with finding food as tired as I was. Having been lost in Paris I can say that it seems to be a very nice place, one I hope to get back to...in daylight hours. and I'd stay here again.
We spent one night here in February 2017, we were in the area for a visit and this was the closest hotel to our destination. It seemed like an older building, but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the employees were friendly and we have no complaints about out time there. We ate breakfast there in the morning and it was OK, I had eggs, a biscuit and a banana. It was fine, but I like bacon and they only had sausage, so that's just me.
Not worth the money and could not get a refund i did not even put a wrinkle in their sheet and they would not give me my money back i was so unhappy i just wanted to go back to NC where im from and these people would not work with me at all wouldnt even change my room to a king room so i could atleast sleep in the same bed as my husband instead of trying to sleep together on a small double bed or sleep apart this is our anniversary trip and it was completely ruined by this hotel!!!! i regret ever thinking about staying here!! Oh and it reeks of cigarette smoke! Terrible!
Excellent service, caring employees, clean rooms and good food. Informative and knowledgaeble people everywhere. Good ole southern hospitality.. Very enjoyable, comfortable night.. Great Breakfast the next morning.
Although on some sites the overall average of reviews put it just above average, we decided to try this place based on the positive recent reviews. And we were very pleasantly surprised for our one-night stay between Keeneland and Claiborne Farm. Check-in on late Saturday afternoon was easy. When we opened the door to our room were were very pleased -- it appears the place has been revamped since we were here years ago. Not only was it spotless, everything in the room including decor was very updated, with nice high beds, plenty of fluffy pillows plus large mini-fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, lots of outlets and plenty of towels. Heat/AC unit worked great, good TV and lots of channels and location was quiet but near shopping/eating. Definitely will stay here again!!!
good place to stay, nice and quiet, good breakfast, bed very comfortable. we went to visit the ark in williamstown it was a nice easy trip to the ark and back again from this hotel. good close buy restaurants.
While in Paris we got to visit the old court house (the courtroom reminded us of the movie To Kill a Mockingbird). Just outside town we discovered an old Covered Bridge. And last but not least, we stopped by the Farmers Market. Met some wonderful towns people. They were very friendly and cordial. Got to taste plenty of delicious foods and took some goodies back home with us. Plenty of horse farms to visit, the burial spot for the great race horse Secretariat is there as well.
went well i'm not a writer very good at cane ridge more than we expected, very friendly people at cane ridge, and made some new friends. the scenery was beautiful the roads a little narrow but all in all we got what we came to see and know about the cane ridge reivel.
We spent six nights here. We requested a ground floor room and had a room that we could drive right up to the door. Very convenient. Our room, the breakfast room and front office were very clean and comfortable. The staff was always courteous and friendly. We would definitely come back.
This was a nice hotel. Convenient for our stay. Close to the downtown area. Staff was very nice and helpful in giving us directions for the festival. Breakfast ok, but not great. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We stayed at the Best Western Paris Inn as a stop over on the way to Dallas. It was a great resting spot. After a little confusion about our room, the woman at the front desk ( I am so sorry, I didn't catch your name) helped settle us in. She was fantastic , really the heart of he operation! We unloaded the car and drove a quick 20 minutes to Lexington for dinner. Easy ride back. It's in a safe area and you can not beat the price. We continued on our journey after a hearty, delicious breakfast at the hotel. The food was hot , the area was clean , and the attendant was super friendly and helpful. Thanks for having us!
We stayed one night. The room smelled like heavy odor spray was sprayed to cover up something. The carpeting is very old, the shower nozzle was too high to reach, the shower curtain wouldn't close & seemed very old & appeared not to be clean. The clerk who checked us in was honest, thankfully, that the, eggs at breakfast were not real, so we did not have breakfast there. The coffee was not very good. Overall, very disappointing stay. Usually B W is much better than this one was.
The gal who checked us in was very cheerful and accommodating. It was late and we were road weary from motorcycles and it was a very appreciated. I didn't catch her name but she gets a gold star in our book. There was a problem with our reservation (my fault) and she was very help getting it squared away.
Easy to get to and from. Rooms are clean and well furnished. I'm a stickler about hotels never having good pillows. Theirs are probably the most comfortable I've ever encountered. A bit pricey until you factor in their included breakfast which is a lot more than your typical motel continental breakfast. Scrambled eggs, meats, make your own waffles, etc.
Stayed there last night and had a very clean room, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, cereal, juice, granola, coffee, tea,and more Staff was very helpful, friendly, and nearly dressed.
Clean, comfortable and affordable. There is no elevator so if you need first floor be sure to let them know when you make your reservation. The bathroom was kinda small but would stay again if in the area.
very nice place to stay, booked this place at last minute because last hotel wasn't very good, desk staff was very kind and helpful.room very clean, beds very comfortable.breakfast very good with good variety.would stay at this place again.
Came down for a last minute trip. Check in was quick and pleasant. Clerk was proactive in asking me about AAA discount. Rooms were clean, pool area was nice. Awesome diner right across the street. The only other thing I could have asked for was that the A/C be turned on prior to check in.
We have stayed here before and will no doubt stay again. The staff is so friendly and nice. Marilyn, at the front desk, was a pleasure to talk to and Paul, the maintenance guy, was very nice and quick to take care of a problem we encountered. The ladies that took care of the breakfast area were great. It is very convenient for us when we are visiting family.
We were traveling all "back roads" to give our grand daughters an experience. This was an added bonus to the trip because we felt so welcomed and relaxed here. The hotel was quiet, clean and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Paris, Ky is just east of Lexington. Since we were traveling further east the next day it looked like a great place to stop. This is the only hotel which was very good. Clean and helpful staff. We found a list of eating places downtown in the lobby. Very quaint downtown. An annual car show was going on. Not crowded at all. Very good value. It's not on the main road so you can pass it up.
Very clean room. We only stayed one night, as we were in town for the half marathon. Marilyn at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. She allowed us to have late check out so we could shower after our race which we were soooo thankful for!! The building was in good shape, and only 5 minutes from our race. No complaints!
In town for a half marathon. We picked this hotel because it was close to the start line. It was very clean and comfortable. Marilyn at the front desk is awesome and so helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
had a wonderful time staff was excellent, food great rooms were spacious The lobby had a list of restaurant close by staff member help explaining every aspect of our stay Beds were comfortable breakfast bar was excellent for all ages dining was spacious would stay here again
Marilyn and staff were the friendliest and most helpful. Probably the best experience I have had with a motel. Very grateful to them. They made my moms vacation a dream come to. The town of Paris and people there were very friendly and helpful. I can not say enough about the experience we had. It was simply awesome!!
The hotel was almost hidden, but once you found the entrance, it was ok. The wife was surprised that she had a good clean room. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was ok, not much variety and the eggs were runny.
The front desk lady Marilyn is very helpful an accommodating. Ms. Marilyn, help us booked reservations at Claiborne Farms, a Very delightful lady. The blonde lady in breakfast was very sweet an informative about the events in the surrounding area. The breakfast area was very clean and well taken care of so many options. Really enjoyed the chocolate chip waffles. We really appreciated, the hospitality of this hotel. The staff go out of their way to help you with all your needs. The room was extremely comfortable, very clean and bright would recommend this to friends and family an everyone.
Although an older style hotel on the outside, the inside was totally redone and comfortable. The friendly staff was helpful and breakfast was good. Location was convenient to shopping, food and Kentucky Horse Park. Recommend requesting a first floor if you are unable to do stairs while carrying your luggage. Overall, for the price we were happy.
The front desk was very polite and went out of the way when checking in and out. Good breakfast choices. Room was clean and neat Sheets and pillows and mattress were comfortable.Cant say the same for other hotels we stayed at.
I have to say that our family usually stays in hotels. But we were very pleasantly surprised by this Best Western. It is a Hotel/motel combo, so they have both interior and exterior entry rooms. Rooms were very clean and nice! Only 15 mi. from Horse Park, but it does take about 20-25 mins to get there and the drive is beautiful! The rooms were very nice! Only improvement I would like to see are security key entrances on the Hotel section. Anyone can come and go as they please w/o any security key required. Pillows are a little too fluffy for my preference. Overall, we'll be looking up Best Westerns from now on! Great value for the price!
Not only was the bed extremely hard, there is no noise insolation. We heard every conversation in anointing rooms, and hallways as if they were in our room. when the people above us walked is sounded like the roof was going to came down. worst nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel.
Our daughter was playing in a softball tournament in the area. We have stayed at this Best Western hotel before. The rooms were clean and service was good. We were only there for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions. We had no problems during our stay and would not hesitate to stay at this Best Western again.
Clean and conveniently located. Room was adequate for my needs. There were not enough covers on the bed for my taste but, I turned the heater up which compensated for it. Also, the bathroom heater did not work and if the door stays closed it gets cold in the bathroom.
We dropped off horses at a couple of the local farms and needed an overnight stay before heading back home. Checked in at the BW and they were expecting us. The sign in the lobby say's breakfast starts at 6am. We told the clerk we hoped to be on the road at 6 so he asked what time we would be checking out and I said 5:30am. He said he'd leave a note for the night shift and ask them to have breakfast set up a little early, maybe just coffee and pastries. We were in the lobby at 5:30am and she had the full breakfast buffet set up for us. She could not have been nicer. We had a choice of eggs, waffels, cereals etc. All the usual. Coffee was hot, hot water for Jean's tea (extra points for offering Lipton tea. Many places now only offer "specialty" teas which is not her cup of tea if you know what I mean). A good nights sleep in a comfortable bed, a hot shower (The tub is a very slow drainer hence I only rated this "very good") and best of all the early breakfast was ready to go. They may be the only place in town but they don't take customers for granted. I'll be back.
Breakfast was decent, good coffee. The rooms were cozy and loved the list of channels and TV guide that was available. I also loved the "clean TV remote". Overall, one of the better best westerns I've been to
But the walls between rooms in our wing, Room 128, are paper thin. The thinnest in 13 hotels in the 17 nights of our east coast US road trip so far. We could hear the discussion going on next door. Otherwise very happy with the hotel. Front desk service was very helpful.
great place to stay and relax treat you like family have been going there for quite a few years and hope to continue for many more. great location, quiet, near horse farms....love it highly reccomend this hotel
I've been here many times before, but this time I feel like it was exceptional. Whitney at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We were there over Thanksgiving and she called me at home before our arrival to give me Thanksgiving dinner options, then made the reservation for us. Marilyn at the desk was also very nice and asking if we needed anything. Several people were being trained and I could see the care that was being taken. The room was clean. The breakfast was fine. Everyone was friendly. Great trip to Paris!
Courteous helpful staff upon check in, recommending places to eat dinner. Excellent accommodations. Great breakfast variety. Hot items were hot and cold items were cold. We would go here again if in the area. Many restaurants and amenities close by also.
Thanks for the great experience at your hotel, great staff, helpful, friendly and prepared to assist in every way to make my stay comfortable. If possible, I think the breakfast could consider a healthier style of food. International travelers prefer fruit and natural products over highly processed products. Other than that it is a great place to stay.
In the heart of horse county this motel is outstanding with warm welcome and a good breakfast. Eggs, sausage, waffles and bisquits and gravy to mane a few breakfast items, This is in a off the normal interstate but close to Lexington. Nice and quite off the main roads. Very good place to rest up. Highly recommend this motel, great value for the money.
This hotel is clean and comfy - the beds are great. But the staff really sets this apart from your normal Best Western. They were just plain friendly! Both day and evening shifts kept asking us if there was anything they could do for us, and when we had questions they went out of their way to make sure we got them answered. So my recommendation is if you are in the area, stay here.
Stephanie at the front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. She helped with directions and recommendations for dinner. Its an old hotel with the doors opening to the outside. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice breakfast. More than just waffles and cereal. I would stay here again.
While staying at the Best Western Paris Inn I had excellent service from the fr4ont desk and also from housekeeping. I would gladly stay there again. Very impressed with the value also. I have stayed at several Best Westerns and I would have to say this is one of the best!!
The rear doors to the outside were left unlocked at night. The Lavatory drain linkage was found disconnected. There was a mildly unpleasant odor in the room. Although 200 characters are required for this review I don't have much to say. The highway sign identifying the hotel location was small and we overlooked it on first pass by, causing a detour of many miles before we circled back to this location, and the motel is not identifiable from the arterial road leading to its vicinity. I have found unlocked and unguarded doors a night to be a fairly common defect in our travels and always appreciate it when the lock mechanism works properly. Sink drains are often problematic, but this one was fixable and should have been addressed before our arrival
This is my second year staying here for the Secretariat Festival. Yes it is a little older building although the one wing is fairly new but it is very neat & clean and the staff is just outstanding. I want to thank Kerry who went above & beyond to make sure I got the best location for me! I also wish to thank Lisa & Stephanie for being so darn nice and helpful. The breakfast is pretty good too. I just like staying here and it is convenient to everything including shopping & eating establishments. I will be back next year. Thank you.
Nice clean room and friendly service. Very close to Secretariat Festival and Our Mims Retirement Haven, also has a real wooden covered Bridge down the road from the Haven. The drive to Paris, KY is breathtaking, Paris itself is a very beautiful place & Best Western is the best place to stay when visiting.
It was clean well priced and had a good breakfast.I will be staying there on my next visit to Kentucky. We come to the Secretariat Festival every year and we all meet here and have a good time can't wait till next year.
Close to anything you need in the Paris, Kentucky area. And the staff if very help and friendly. We arrived very late around 1:00 in the morning and our room was waiting on us. The hotels show a little wear but so do many out there today. Wouldn't mind staying there again if needed.
My family and I stayed here while visiting an area college the next morning. It was just a quickly planned decision to stay near the college rather than drive from home the next morning. This motel has recently been renovated and was very clean and comfortable not to mention quiet. Upon checking in we were met by Stephanie who started the experience off right with attention to detail and a friendly face. Our room was very comfortable with great water pressure and a shower head that was actually high enough to not have to stoop over. We had plenty of towels and our girls swam in the pool which was very clean with nice seating around it. The WIFI was also quite good and did reach to the pool area as well. The only thing that was bad about this property would have to be the breakfast, while providing a hot breakfast the food left much to be desired. The biscuits were hard and the sausage patties were greasy and seemed old, this along with the cool gravy over the biscuits made for a pretty bad start to the morning. All in all a good deal for the money but maybe plan for breakfast at the Huddle House across the street.
