"Hotel pool was refreshing on a hot day in Needles"
SSTSeattle, 23 Septembre 2024

It was 104 degrees when we arrived at this hotel. But the icy cold water of the swimming pool cooled us off. The rooms here are basic, but clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated that the room had two luggage racks, instead of the usual single one. Free breakfast is served in a building next door to the hotel. A wide variety of food was available. I would definitely stay here again.

"Good place to stay"
Dennis B, 20 Septembre 2024

Stayed there one night and was pleased with the visit. The room was clean and well maintained. The man at the front desk was very helpful and considerate. The free breakfast took place in an adjoining restaurant which was interesting and very good. I would definitely stay here again.

"Quiet, Clean, great service, wonderful food."
Connie L, 28 Juillet 2024

We made the reservation for this hotel during our six hour back up on I 40. By the time we got to the hotel, all we wanted was a comfy bed and a bit of quiet. We got all that and more. The hotel was sold out, and we watched as the desk person was so kind and helpful to people coming in without reservations, he was a very impressive young man, I'm sorry we didn't get his name. Breakfast the next morning was at the restaurant next door, and it was exceptional, consisting of hot and cold options, and attentive and welcoming wait staff. Overall GREAT experience!

"Best Western Needles"
U5025BOlewish, 19 Juillet 2024

I have stayed there before and liked the place. It is right off the freeway and has a few places close to eat at. The room was nice and clean. The Staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was at a restaurant next door it had a lot of choices and was nice. I would stay there again.

"Clean and comfy beds"
SharonD02, 10 Juillet 2024

This has been our “GoTo” Hotel while we spent 6 months moving across country. We know we can rely on having a clean room with a comfortable bed, hot water for showers or cool in the hot summer. A/C worked well to keep cool in summer and heat in winter, Internet is reliable and overall a quiet hotel for sleeping. The hot breakfast in the morning is a nice bonus. The TV has Motor Trend and that's all we need. If you want something good to eat, you will want to drive up the road to Arizona, BullHead City has real food options. (Plus Gas is a whole lot cheaper over the River) Nothing good in Needles except the hot breakfast in the morning at the Hotel.

"clean"
jamisontheman, 09 Juillet 2024

This place is nice and clean. Located of route 66 across the california border. The room had comfy beds and a flat screen tv. For breakfast you need to go next door to a restaurant and eat in the hotel breakfast room. I would definetly stay at this place again. Oh by the way there is no elevator.

"Nice stay"
davemette, 27 Juin 2024

Staff was very friendly and helpful! The hotel was very nice. I thought it was a brand new hotel but learned that it was older but recently remodeled.

"Absolutely average"
joylikes2shop, 24 Juin 2024

I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a 21 night Route 66 trip from Chicago to Los Angeles. My remit for each night is a nice hotel with a restaurant, a bar and a pool. This was a MOTEL & does NOT have a restaurant or bar however the hotel clerk- Keith- was so lovely, helpful and knowledgeable about the area that I decided to book a room for the night anyway. Also, because the reception area was modern, bright & clean, i naively assumed this was a reflection of the standard of the rooms. I paid a little extra to have an executive room which was bigger than their standard room & had a sofa. PRO's- conveniently located beside the I-40. Large comfortable bed. Clean fresh bedding & towels. Good internet. An outdoor pool.Breakfast included. The Wagon Wheel and the Panda Garden restaurants are within a few minutes walk of the motel. The gas station beside the motel sells beer & wine. CON's This is a motel not a hotel. Breakfast is provided in a separate building next door to the hotel. The building was previously a restaurant, but now purely opens from 6-9am as a place to provide breakfast for hotel guests. Breakfast was the standard Best Western fayre. The building & breakfast room was drab, dated and disappointing. Despite the comfortable bed,and the size of the room, the overall feeling of the room was extremely gloomy. The carpet was probably mostly to blame because it was brown. The lighting didn't make the room any cheerier although the light from the huge illuminated bathroom mirror at the far end of the room was nice. Because it was a motel, I didn't feel comfortable leaving the curtains open to let in any natural light, but I doubt it would've made any difference to the ambiance of the room. This was definitely the most disappointing of the 12 hotels we've stayed in since starting our Route 66 journey in Chicago just over 2 ago.

"A great place to stay"
mauitara, 11 Juin 2024

I dropped in looking for a vacancy after an eight hour drive. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and found me a room that was perfect. The pool was lovely, the room was very clean and quiet. I had an early start, so the hotel provided a grab and go breakfast for me that I could eat on the way. I stayed in six different hotels in six nights, and this one was definitely the best.

"Not going back "
David N, 01 Juin 2024

There aren't many places to stay in Needles and for all I know this may be the best it has to offer but not very good. Room was standard Motel room with very noisy air conditioning (it was 104° outside). Hotel has no restaurant in the evening. They do offer a free buffet breakfast but even free was too much for the fare on offer. We skipped it and went to the cafe across the road.

"A restful time in Needles"
ChristopherP2239, 19 Mai 2024

I enjoyed this BW - I hadn't stayed here for over 15 years. It is refurbished with some rooms still being upgraded. The welcoming manager was great and helpful. Despite being near the railroad tracks, the train wasn't too loud, so we were able to sleep well. The pool liked very inviting. I would stay again.

"Hotel Stay"
ericherrera1991, 23 Avril 2024

After having stayed at previous hotels on this trip and having horrible experiences, the Best Western hotel was a breadth of fresh air!!! I will definitely be staying at this chain of hotels next time I travel ;) Breakfast was great addition too; definitely recommend it when staying

"Adequate hotel, but very noisy"
rockout53, 22 Avril 2024

I didn't realize a train passes right by the hotel room door, nor that motorcycle groups would roar into the adjacent parking lot until 2am. Can't change that. But the in-room AC/heater unit was louder than the train!

"Nice hotel in wooded area"
MsVic, 21 Mars 2024

Nice hotel and property in a quiet wooded area. Hotel was very clean, and property kept up well. The room was spacious and comfortable, everything was clean and had many useful amenities. Breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. Beautiful decor in all the open spaces. Felt safe on hotel grounds with lots of free parking. Was a nice overnight stay while on a road-trip.

"Beware of trains"
janmac2024, 25 Février 2024

Lovely, comfortable motel with friendly staff. Easy access off and on the highway. Rooms well appointed. Only drawback was that it is on a very busy train route so you hear that. It was quiet from about 10pm to 3-4am.

"Wonderful night!"
dianarZ7011CF, 06 Février 2024

The establishment exceeded expectation. Breakfast was provided at neighborhood restaurant. The room was recently remodeled. The price was lower than other motels in the city. Staff was helpful and friendly

"Best Western Colorado River Inn was the Best!"
Drusilla448, 21 Janvier 2024

When you get off a train at one o'clock in the morning, and you don't have to wait until the 3.00 pm check-in time, believe me, you're grateful. I had been worrying about this a bit, I'm very pleased management was so understanding. For the record, my room was fine, clean and of a good standard. Then disaster, an arctic storm hit America and my return train trip to L. A. was cancelled! Staff were very supportive at this stressful time, supplying me with numbers for local taxi firms to help me get to the nearest airport. However, I had to make several calls and (not unhappily) expected to pay for them upon checking out. Well, they were only local so I didn't have to. But it was nice to find that out. A bill I thought I'd have to pay, I didn't have to pay. In a small way, that made my day. Not only that, Diana the manager let me hang around the lobby and even watch TV while I waited for my taxi. Such small kindnesses make all the difference. If I can get my ESTA renewed and learn to trust Amtrak again, I certainly hope to return. A very good day at the Inn.

"Hotel and room were okay; breakfast was awful"
SB1114, 12 Décembre 2023

The room was OK, but the breakfast is one of the worst we've ever been offered:( Hint: they have a nice coffee machine in the lobby of the hotel The breakfast was at a restaurant next-door, and looked like usual motel breakfast at first. However, they only had white bread to toast, the pancakes were inedible, and my spouse said it was the worst coffee he'd ever had.

"Traveling home to Texas"
lkotowski, 09 Décembre 2023

I would recommend this hotel to travelers in Needles. The rooms were clean, did not smell and had no stains on the carpet or furniture. The location is great for getting on and off the freeway. There is some noise from the trains that travel by the hotel. It is not to bad. Breakfast had plenty of hot food. There were restaurants close making it easy to find a dinnern spot. Try the Wagon Wheel restaurant. Great atmosphere and food. I had one of the best steaks ever there.

"The service is great"
Tour599756, 28 Novembre 2023

The whole staff including the manager and the clerks is so nice and friendly. They help solve my problem and try to fulfil our requirement during our stay. Although we had some issues with the bill and the breakfast, they can always solve them.

"BW Colorado River Inn"
896lewish, 05 Octobre 2023

Hotel was close to the freeway and easy to get to. Room was nice. Breakfast was good it was next door to the hotel at a restaurant they had a buffet the choices changed everyday. There are a few places to eat close and easy to get to. I would stay again.

"Quiet Place in the Desert"
WaterBoy5_0, 21 Septembre 2023

Nice quiet place to stay. I literally left our stuff in the back of the truck and didn't even worry about it. The staff was friendly and the room and property was clean. Security or staff checked the premises all hours. 6 places to eat within walking distance, one of them being a Dairy Queen, which is apparently not a normal thing out there. I would definitely stay here again.

"Excellent staff"
r0biatti, 21 Août 2023

The room was clean and ready to go when we arrived. The staff are constantly monitoring the grounds to ensure cleanliness of their facility. Real pride of ownership. Would definitely stay here again. The included breakfast was surprisingly good.

"Friendly efficient staff, older rooms"
Four2Score, 15 Août 2023

We've stayed at this hotel in the past & liked it enough to return. Breakfast next door is ok, unless you do not eat animal products...then you will probably leave hungry or buy your own. The dog-run area is beyond neglected. There is no longer fencing or a shade tree as in the past. The gate is there, but no latch. No pet waste bags or trash receptacles as in the past. Trash is strewn around. It was sad. We had a pet room & the carpet was torn in multiple places along with the arm of the couch. Rooms were clean, just warn out. Cold drinking water & coffee machine in the lobby is nice. Propane BBQ by the pool to use is nice. Pool needs some TLC as the paint on the bottom of it is peeling off in spots. Staff was nice & very helpful whenever we asked them for anything.

"Satiesfied"
Margarete T, 30 Juillet 2023

The hotel was clean and quiet. No breakfast at the hotel, breakfast is next door at the restaurant, we decided to visit a different restaurant. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I would stay there again.

"Good cooler, lumpy, soft mattress."
Teacherkelly65, 14 Juillet 2023

As I was driving away. I was wishing I had looked under the sheet to see if there was actually a mattress or it was just a pike of old throw pillows and laundry held together with string and a fitted sheet. The cooler worked extremely well for which we were thankful since we were there during the heat dome over the entire SW. The motel is right next door to a lot of train tracks.

"Good value hotel"
Kathy U, 10 Juillet 2023

Good value hotel while traveling. Comfortable rooms and beds and overall clean - just FYI there were some bugs (no scary or biting bugs) around and in the room but I believe for the area/weather that is very normal and could not be helped. The hotel offered a very good made to order breakfast at the restaurant next door. The pet friendly room had no carpet and direct outdoor access to take our dog outside- which was a big plus for us. I would stay here again if passing through the area again.

"Nice room"
vandrews2023, 28 Juin 2023

The room was fine. It was quiet and clean. The AC worked well which is great because it was very hot outside. Breakfast at the restaurant next door is best skipped. The food is not good. We had dinner there. All the food was frozen and warmed up.

"Best place to stay in Needles"
Marshall B, 19 Juin 2023

Breakfast voucher given at check in for great free made to order hot breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. Nice outdoor pool and hot tub area. Best value for sure compared to our stay at the Hampton inn on the way down, I will stay at the BW for sure next time.

"Clean, Comfort"
cameadows49, 17 Juin 2023

We were stranded in Needles, waiting for our RV to be worked on. We were surprised by the cleanliness and professionalism of the employees here. Our two dogs were happy with the dog area. Although it looked as if there was a remodel happening, it didn't affect any area for the residents

"Great stop destination with nice pool and great staff"
jimmyrc55, 31 Janvier 2023

A pleasant surprise as this BW had great staff and terrific pool and hot tub. Proximity to the inter-state was no problem sound wise leading to a great sleep. Bed was comfortable sheets a bit "thin" but I'm guessing that's a desert thing. Great c=value given the location.

"Older but good Best Western"
Unsworth7, 10 Janvier 2023

This is an older hotel but refurbished nicely. Email checkout. Overall clean. Carpet seems clean, plenty of hot water, and the heater worked fine. The beds were comfortable. Four pillows each bed. Friendly staff. Seemed quiet. Definitely would come back. Breakfast was at the restaurant next door with a voucher. Eggs, hash browns, country potatoes, bacon sausage, etc. Restaurant seemed clean, the waitress was friendly, and the food was good.

"Great!"
vikkifrancis, 11 Décembre 2022

It was a delight to find this Oasis in the desert after a long drive from Flagstaff in the evening. It was clean and consistent to the BW standard. With a restaurant next door that was great and we didn't have to leave again to eat… overall a great experience.

"Best Western has earned a repeat customer"
Tanya M, 27 Novembre 2022

When we first passed through Needles, we stayed at the Quality Inn. There was trash in front of our room door and the breakfast they served was awful, some kind of egg whites that were rubbery and sausage links that I'm not sure they were even real meat. On our return trip we decided to try the Best Western. What a difference!! They do a great job keeping up the hotel. It was clean and the room looked to be newly painted. What made our experience even better was the breakfast. Best Western partners with the restaurant next door to serve their customers a real breakfast. Eggs cooked to order with real meat, hashbrowns and toast. Also, real coffee that is not out of dispensing machine. We paid about $10 more for the room than the Quality Inn but it was money well spent. Best Western has earned a repeat customer.

"Stay was Good except........"
Ihavenousernameat, 27 Novembre 2022

Overall this hotel was decent. The room was clean and comfortable. Although the bed was somewhat comfortable, it was very bouncy. The hotel is in the process of remodeling/updating so I hope that they invest in good mattresses. The only downside to this hotel was the trains that went by behind the hotel every hour to 2 hours all night long. If you stay here, be sure and get a room that faces the restaurant next door. Also, this hotel does not have an elevator so be sure to book on the 1st floor in the event you have any disabilities for climbing stairs.

"Not So Best Western"
Molly H, 25 Octobre 2022

Hmmm. We usually count on Best Westerns providing a basic level of cleanliness and quiet. Not this one. Dirty linoleum floor (we had a dog, so I guess it was a dog room). Holes in bedside table. Dried food on dresser. Holes in pleather head board. Never again. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

"Clean and great staff"
rogueriverturtle, 03 Octobre 2022

My room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Some say the train bothered them. Not me,⁰p I slept really well. Tempature when I was in Needles was 100° thank goodness the ac was great. It was on along with the refrigerator upon arrival. Very thoughful. Breakfast was good lots of choices at resturant next door provided by coupon from Hotel. There is a pool!

"Hot hot hot. Strong AC. Clean."
traveling_with_kathy, 17 Septembre 2022

Nice motel in Needles. The front desk employees could not have been more friendly and helpful. Didn't know hot Needles is, so I was super happy when I got to my room the AC was strong and cold. Clean room. Comfortable King bed. My room was on the backside and could hear train activity. Thankfully I'm a heavy sleeper, so the trains didn't bother me. Light sleepers may want to ask for a quiet room.

"Excellent Stay"
patf724, 04 Septembre 2022

I think this hotel has new ownership or new management we had great stay very welcoming staff, Clean room and great place to stay while you passing on HWY 40 will sure come again thank you. I was lost and I called hotel and they just made drive easy to hotel.

"Best place to stay in Needles"
mrklwrkr2, 27 Juillet 2022

Clean room, Great staff, good breakfast, well kept property, quiet ac unit which was great for getting sleep. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and will return again, we have been staying in Needles for over 20 years when we boat for summer. Management is Great and very responsive to customers.

"Colorado River"
sherriduprey, 12 Juillet 2022

Hotel was okay. Right next to train tracks with trains going by all night. Very loud. Beds were very lumpy and not great quality. Note: This location is extremely hot, so be prepared to have air conditioning running all day and night. Recommendations: I would recommend a shaded area for dogs to complete their business. Ground was extremely hot and dogs burned pads going potty in small dog area.

"Best Western Needles, Ca"
yvonnelozano, 04 Juillet 2022

Very Nice Clean & Quiet, Definitely will be staying here again…Not sure why Needles Ca has a bad reputation but we were very happy with everything, River-Laughlin-Lake Havasu all close by, nothing but FUN…!

"Just when I thought it couldn't be better"
Mgitsme, 25 Mai 2022

I am adding to my last review. When I checked out I was give a container or wipes (large) and some snacks and water to take with me. So clean, quiet, friendly, comfortable! Great surprises. I wrote more details in 1st review.

"Good nights sleep"
starrnickel1947, 19 Mai 2022

Over all, our experience was very good! Efficient staff, very clean rooms, good clean, tasty breakfast, get you back on the road quick! Nice pool to! There was a nice restaurant just across the street, good food, not expensive. Was just a 5 min. walk to Subway to.

"Coming home"
Jeff Z, 16 Avril 2022

We decided to leave the Grand Canyon and come home but we could not make the drive in one day so we decided to find a hotel for the night. We found a room in Needles, CA. There was a trainee in the lobby and she was helpful but she knew she was slow because she was new so she apologized a lot. We got a downstairs room which was great but we the got the side of the motel that faces the train tracks and trains run all night long so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to sound. The breakfast was good and had a wide variety. I would say the bed I slept in was not comfortable and the mattress should be replaced.

"Clean rooms on Route 66"
Tracy G, 30 Mars 2022

This hotel is a typical BW. Clean rooms and a breakfast buffet are welcome after a long day of travel. The air conditioner was great since the temps were over 90. There is a great diner on route 66 which is walking distance if you can stand the heat. Trains do run all night but the air conditioner blocked out the noise bring earplugs if you are sensitive.

"Small town, Big service"
Mopar6465, 15 Mars 2022

We came across this BW by accident and I'm glad we did. Heather was super friendly and helpful when I called at the last minute to book a room. When we got there, she was even nicer in accomodating our request for a ground floor room. Our room was clean, breakfast was good. All the staff we came across were very friendly and smiling. It was a great experience after coming off a 10 hour drive. I would definitely stay here again.

"Horrible service"
JulieShipman, 22 Janvier 2022

We tried to stay here but the front desk person, Tyler, was one of the rudest people in customer service that I've ever met. I travel for personal and business reasons constantly and was appalled at the utter lack of respect this condescending individual displayed. Best Western should rethink its hiring policies. I will be contacting management at this hotel about this desk agent. It was late. We just wanted a room and a place to park. I'm still stunned…

"A Nice Stay"
tamilisa2022, 20 Janvier 2022

This Best Western was very clean and everything we needed. I wish there were USB ports by the bedside (or more plugs that are easy to get to). We used the microwave, fridge, tv, the breakfast in the morning... everything. I was pleased that they could accommodate us at the last minute. The bedding was nice and the mattress was comfortable. The pillows were a little too fluffy for me but I could tell that they were good quality. There was a lot of food to choose from for breakfast. Some of the items were not as tasty (pre-packaged muffins) but there was variety. Overall, I felt comfortable at the Best Western!

"Not worth the cost"
sjbarry2022, 01 Janvier 2022

Old furnishings, towels and bedding. Not what I would expect at this price they are charging. Service at check-in and for a carry out breakfast was good. I would suggest a low cost alternative for what this property has to offer.

"Don't consider this one!"
48texTX, 28 Novembre 2021

Do not waste your time at this hotel! The staff is friendly enough but that doesn't make up for the quality of this BW. It is very old & looks it. It is fairly clean so no problem there but it has the “clean spray” smell. And most importantly, it is significantly overpriced for the hotel as well as the town!!! You feel cheated when you leave because you pay so much for sub-standard quality.

"On Rt 66"
BuickRiv, 17 Novembre 2021

This hotel was a random stop on a trip unplanned. We had decided at some point when tired we would stop and whatever was available that's where we would stay. There was also a cool diner (Wagon Wheel) across the street that served great meals.

"Very Clean, convenient to I-40"
EAP11, 11 Octobre 2021

Conveniently just off of I-40, but no highway noise. The Train is nearby but didn't interfere with sleep. Very clean, comfortable, not fancy but adequate and good choice for a travel stop. Decent family restaurant just down the street.

"COVID Safe and loved the pool"
EBinLACA, 23 Septembre 2021

We stopped here on our way to New Mexico. We chose this hotel for its location, the pool, and its outdoor hallways (we wanted to bring everything inside because of the heat, and rooms opening directly outdoors seems more COVID safe). We were the only ones in the pool at 8 p.m., when it was still 102 degrees outside. The water was so cool and refreshing! The room was quiet, even with the AC on all night. Best of all, masks were required and everyone seemed to be complying.

"Nothing fancy but everything you need"
duranie314, 21 Septembre 2021

It's not the most spectacular hotel you will ever stay in, but it's clean, the bed is amazingly comfortable, and the staff are delightful. The bed is amazingly comfortable for an older hotel and it was one of the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. The hotel is located near railroad tracks but we couldn't hear them at all while we were sleeping. Due to covid and the small breakfast area, they have 4 “grab and go” bagged breakfast options to choose from that were plentiful. Will definitely stay again when we're in the area.

"Clean, friendly and pets allowed."
annaspeace, 06 Septembre 2021

The staff was so nice. We got checked in quickly. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There are many places to eat nearby and the breakfast option is covering d friendly. There is a fridge and microwave available.

"Great place to stay."
travelling5Illinois, 06 Septembre 2021

On a cross country trip from IL to CA, great place to stay overnight amazing staff. Good local services, excellent restaurant suggestions by hotel. Clean, quiet, great AC, Internet, etc. I would stay here again.

"Poor sample of a Best Western"
ANNE S, 04 Septembre 2021

During our travels we stay at most Best Westerns when available and have always been satisfied with our experiences. This was so different that we aren't sure if Best Western is at the top of our list anymore. The bed was uncomfortable, toilet needs to be replaced, no luggage cart available and understanding the grab and go breakfast during covid was in place, you could not deviate from the options. The ice machine was not in a convenient location and over all this hotel in in need of a significant upgrade.

"Great outdoor pool"
tierneyfamily2017, 03 Juillet 2021

comfortable beds, good breakfast options during pandemic, not the most attractive rooms I've seen in a best western, but not unpleasant. Clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly. The outdoor pool was delightful for an early morning swim before our departure.

"No soap for you!"
Mr-H455, 02 Juillet 2021

Despite being in a pandemic, apparently cleanliness was not important to the proprietor of this establishment. Upon arrival and check-in, to our dismay, the room we were rented did not have ANY soap! No hand soap, no body wash, no shampoo, no conditioner. We called the front desk to advise them and the clerk told us he would let housekeeping know to bring us some. We waited and waited but noone ever showed. After using the toilet, one should be able to wash their hands with water AND soap! A good night sleep would help after the day's soapless adventures, that is if you could get use to sleeping on a hard, lumpy mattress! I would say that this trip was more like Worst Western. This is not the first time I was disappointed by a Best Western property. I think they need to control their franchisees quality better. I won't stay at one again.

"Good service, clean rooms"
CaliBayGirl, 21 Juin 2021

Lobby looks updated and desk staff professional. Rooms clean but def showing age and could use updates. A/C rattled, clicked and made ton of noise and still didn't keep room cool enough, more warm/cool, wam/cool. But it was midnight and I wasn't going to change rooms. Pretty decent ‘grab-n-go' breakfast options. It's one of the more expensive hotels in the area, the interior and functionality should reflect that. .

"Great staff, clean rooms, dirty pool"
amysue10, 20 Juin 2021

The staff at this hotel were the shining stars! When we arrived and checked into our rooms the temp was over 115 outside. The window unit A/C in one of the rooms - though it worked- was unbearably loud and they graciously accommodated a room change. With the temp as high as it was, we were excited to play in the pool a bit, but when we got out there we found it pretty filthy and walked away disappointed. Otherwise, rooms were clean and staff was terrific!

"great place -dog friendly"
AnnmarieKKeiramnnA, 19 Juin 2021

Stayed one night at the Colorado River Inn. We had a 60 lb dog with us. There is a small dog enclosure on site which was great. The room had tile flooring in case of accidents. Very clean and comfortable.

"Grotesque"
RiverJaxMum, 11 Juin 2021

The front desk and check in area is nice. The front desk employees are professional and nice. The property in a whole needs to be gutted and build from the ground up. The rooms are fully carpeted with the exception of the bathroom. You walk into the room and get hit with an unclean smell automatically. The room is uninviting. It does it's purpose by being able to sleep on a bed and shower. I would not recommend walking on the carpet barefoot as it feels like you'll catch something. There is plenty of parking which is nice. You're also able to park if you have a trailer and boat. They do have a dog park which is basically a small gated area for your pet to handle business. The pool and hot tub needs to be resurfaced.

"Handicapped room is GREAT"
BevTur, 07 Juin 2021

Clean as ususal, but also a great handicapped room. Not all handicapped rooms are any good. This one had great grab bars all over and a sink you can roll up to if in a wheel chair. They provide a shower chair. The room was spacious enough to get around easily.

"Did the job"
mrwd2021, 17 Mai 2021

We drove from Santa Fe NM to Oakland CA and back, to see my parents. First time since pandemic. We slept in Needles for a night, both ways. No bed bugs, clean sheets and towels, but the room was dingy and if you have a sensitivity to fragrances you will not do well here. It stunk like cheap air freshener in both rooms. For the rates charged, they should clean their AC units and slap some fresh pint on the walls. The rooms are depressing!

"Nice place!"
ewatry1, 27 Avril 2021

I love Best Western hotels because I can always count on a wonderful quality experience all the way around and this hotel totally met my expectation! Friendly professional front desk personnel, comfortable beds and pillows, room was clean, and I was pleased that the hotel offered a hearty breakfast to go. I will definitely stay there again and also recommend it to others traveling that way.

"Noisy but convenient"
ErinA8, 07 Avril 2021

This was our best option location-wise. It was right next to a busy train track, and due to that noise, it felt like we were inside a dryer the whole night. Then, around 6am, there was an incredibly loud crashing noise that sounded like someone taking a battering ram to a neighboring door. Once woken up by that, it was difficult to resume sleep. The staff here were super nice and I really appreciated them. I also appreciated the breakfast options. We've been to many hotels during covid and most offer a mediocre assemblage of sugar and carbs. I appreciated that this hotel offered a hot breakfast sandwich that could be heated in the room. As others noted, gas is crazy expensive in this town. Worth it to drive the 1/2 mile back to AZ to fill up.

"Convenient to I 40"
K969IAbenb, 12 Mars 2021

This was a nice clean place. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially considering the COVID-19 pandemic fatigue. There was a patio and pool, but that was not open from what I could tell. There is not much to say about the location, other than it is a place to stop on Interstate 40. The BNSF southern Transcon goes by 50-100 trains a day, as well as nearby trucks. Best advice for location is to go to Laughlin or Bullhead city for accommodations in this area. Also, gas in Needles was $1 more per gallon than the rest of California, even Victorville. Gas up there or Kingman, AZ.

"to az"
gjfWashington, 20 Février 2021

this location has easy on and off freeway access and is close to several restaurants. the mattress on our bed news to be updated as it was wore out. because of covid there was not there usual hot breakfast but several bagged options were available.

"Low Budget Motel"
emptynest21, 02 Février 2021

Rooms are very old and dated. Hard beds, dirty carpet, stains on sheets and towels. Cable not connected to TV. No elevator. Etc...the worst BW I've stayed at, most BW are good Hotels which is why we stopped here on our travels.

"Skip Needles if possible"
KHD124VFD, 25 Janvier 2021

Traveling from TX to CA and stayed overnight. This appeared to be the best option available but it was filthy, tub/shower surround was badly damaged and harboring obvious mold ( unusable) , internet was unable to support any mapping applications and frustratingly slow otherwise and price was higher than any other hotel we stayed at on this trip. ( average price at 3 other locations w/AAA discount and tax was $120)

"Very noisy location so don't expect quiet"
scottjeff2020, 28 Décembre 2020

Hotel is fine with respect to room, cleanliness, and check in. There are railroad tracks right next to it. There are LOUD trains every hour at least, 24/7. Also semi-trucks park next to it with refrigeration units running all night long. So if you want quiet, this is not the place for you. The same thing is true for other hotels in this area. Next time I will avoid Needles.

"too close to the railroad tracks;"
Robert H, 20 Octobre 2020

Yep, my room is facing the tracks. room is very clean. There are no elevators so if you are physically impaired- request the ground floor. The AC works but it is loud as the trains. I have a comment on the paper bag breakfast. The BW in Meridian, ID had the worst breakfast until now. The award goes to the Colorado River Inn for the worst breakfast ever. You get: one bottle of water, a small apple and a granola bar. If you are on a diet, this place is for you. Take a close look on Google Maps and you will see dark lines just south of the BW. Those are train tracks. And the trains go by all night long. And BW is much closer to the train tracks than the river. Oh, you have I-40 on the other side. This my first time staying in Needles and will be the last time. If you need to stay in Needles, stay away from here. I am so glad to use my reward points for the stay. I would be more mad if I had paid.

"Average Best Western; noisy"
ptolemy10, 03 Octobre 2020

This is an average Best Western, with spacious rooms. There are two problems: like other Best Westerns, due to the virus (allegedly) there is no hot breakfast (unlike their chain competitors, which have been able to continue hot breakfasts), and thus the breakfast is very minimal. More serious is that the hotel is very noisy, since it is sandwiched between a truck yard and a freeway, and there is traffice and motor noise all the time.

"Service didn't match the Price of Hotel!"
chelsearallen, 03 Juillet 2020

Odor due to it smelling like cigarettes when I have a 6mo old baby. Room cleanliness due to no clean towels or cleaning done during our stay and other because the group with us had their towels replaced but things stolen from them and nothing else in the room cleaned. Manager still hasn't called back or done anything after I was told they'd check cameras and get back to me.

"Home away from home"
L3335QDstephaniel, 23 Juin 2020

As soon as we arrived to check into our room that we reserved, the office crew made us feel like we were at home. very great respectful and welcoming place to book your stay. Without a worry on your mind, definitely recommend best stay ever!

"Travel"
samuel7479, 29 Mai 2020

Very friendly staff. Easy check in. Clean and nuce lobby. Rooms are average bed are comfortable. The pool is great nice lighting at night. My wife and kids loved it for that reason. Overall a great place to spend the night

"Sub-par for a Best Western"
Niborj, 05 Avril 2020

Considering the few motels in Needles, this was okay for overnight, but pricey considering the noisy location and basic room. Good—Clean, everything in working order, good staff. Not so good- - Small bathroom, room needs updating, Had trouble locating on GPS, No restaurants nearby. Oh, and it is nowhere near the river!

"Room 126"
covenant786, 12 Mars 2020

Good size Room. Two queen beds. Old interior, but fresh look - well maintaned. Tv, Coffeee station, Microwave and fridge. The Room does not have a safe. The AC/heater makes a bit noise. There are trains passing by frequent and noise can be heard. Nice pool and hot tub. Good Staff. The Breakfast is next door at a restaurant - you get a coupon.

"CLEAN"
mollies433, 07 Février 2020

Most importantly it's clean. Nothing fancy. For the money I would expect a nicer place. But not much to choose from here. Beds were just OK. Slept on much worse. The coffee was horrible. And no Dunkin anywhere close

"Noisy"
Jim S, 04 Janvier 2020

This hotel looks good on the outside but the rooms are very dated. There is a parking lot out back that trucks come and go and park there for the night with there trucks running. And if that's not bad enough, there is a train track that runs right next to it.

"Last Minute Stay: Great Breakfast"
darrellneubert, 28 Décembre 2019

Nice last minute stay at this Best Western due to a crazy winter storm. Staff was friendly and room was clean and what you'd expect from an older motel style property. Best part, breakfast was handled by the amazing Giggling Cactus diner next door. Great service and made to order breakfast. Felt bad I didn't have to pay for it!

"Clean Room, Nice People, But Had One Of My Worst Night Sleep Ever"
valentinanat, 05 Décembre 2019

This is considered one of the better places to stay in Needles, California. The hotel is in good shape and it is clean. There is an outside pool which I did not swim in because it was cold and windy that day. Best Western Corporate sent a general contractor from Orange County, California to remodel their lobby area and it looked fantastic. Now if they would only do the same for the rooms where guest experience really counts. I stayed here for one night in November 2019 and I think I was in room 201, an upstairs room near the lobby area and facing the Giggling Cactus which is a restaurant that Best Western next door (fairly good and filling food there). This room was a good size and it had a king bed and a bathroom with a tub and a toilet. Your sink is just outside of the bathroom. Everything was clean and orderly. Great job to the cleaning crew. WHY THEN WAS IT ONE OF MY WORST NIGHT SLEEP EVER? For one, the air conditioner was so loud and it wee wee and rumble all night when you turn it on. Why do I have to turn it on, you ask? It is because there is no way to get fresh air while the window and door are closed. You turn it on to circulate the still air inside the room. If you open the window, it is not safe to sleep with your window open and also it so loud because the freeway seems like it was just a few hundred feet away. After one night in this room with no fresh air, my lungs felt heavy and I was slightly coughing stuff the next morning. Double pane windows with great insulation would take care of the noise. And a system to pull in fresh air without having to open the window and door is an absolute must.

"NEEDLES CA"
Tolee10, 27 Novembre 2019

First the name is miss leading. It is nowhere close to the River. The train tracks a pretty close and change tracks late into the night. The grounds were very nicely done. I like the resturant door the Giggling Cactus.

"Wonderful front desk welcome "
janiee11, 24 Octobre 2019

I marveled at the gracious manner in which the woman at the registration desk welcomed me and took care of details so efficiently. Additionally, my room was clean and the bed comfy. It felt like an oasis after a long day of travel.

"Best Pet Friendly Hotel I've Been Too"
k9carr, 20 Octobre 2019

There is not much in needles, but it was the most convenient stop over on my road trip to Arizona. This hotel was so nice. It was super clean, the room was so comfortable and this hotel is multi pet friendly. The part that i loved most about this hotel is they actually have an enclosed pet area and that area is kept clean. I know there are a lot of pet friendly hotels out there but not many of them have places that pets can use! This was the exception and I will 100% recommend them and 100% be back the next time I head to Arizona.

"Great overnight stop"
Ray W, 16 Octobre 2019

Comfortable and well appointed room (good lighting), friendly desk staff, good restaurant next door. Good WiFi. Close to I-40. Older property, but well maintained and updated. What else could you ask for?

"My little oasis"
supercut69, 10 Octobre 2019

I love the pool area & the staff. The rooms are always so clean & comfortable. I love the tiki flames & palm trees. The hotel has laundry facilities & the lobby always has complimentary beverages. I stay here every time I travel through Needles CA

"Not the “Best” Western - but OK"
Maryanne G, 12 Septembre 2019

Stopped here with a group on a road trip. The pluses: clean, room size adequate and breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was excellent. The negative - noise, uneven temperature from AC and horribly, uncomfortable bed. Not a lot of other choices in Needles, though!

"Nice Place to Stop Traveling on Interstate 40"
Jo W, 07 Septembre 2019

We were on a road trip to Phoenix, looked up Needles on Google Maps and saw this place. We called them from a restaurant in Barstow California and made a reservation for that night. The receptionist said we were three hours out, and he was right. We got a ground floor room and check-in was a breeze. The room had two Queen beds, was good sized, had a microwave and a small QUIET fridge. there was also a desk, table and chair, and quiet AC. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. Rather than stuff people into a small area for breakfast we received vouchers for two breakfasts at the restaurant next door.--Nice touch! It was totally convenient to the freeway and gas stations. Nice place.

"It's a Best Western!"
CWFSantaCruz_CA, 04 Septembre 2019

Ok,got worried about comments regarding train noise...so I packed ear plugs. This hotel had a pool, a spa and hot breakfast. This is right off the freeway and we had a very nice room. Train noise? Well, no. The in room air conditioner had its own hum..I did not need my ear plugs. This hotel was perfect for our needs. The pool felt awesome at 9:15pm...

"Wasn't bad"
GregPayne505, 26 Août 2019

My kids and I were travelling from NM to CA and Needles was the halfway point. Not gonna lie, I wasn't impressed with Needles - but that happens. Anyway, based on other reviews we decided to stay here. It wasn't bad. The train tracks are right behind the property, so we requested the side of the hotel furthest away from them. The rooms were fine - although $159 a night is on the high side all things considered. As a number of other reviewers have noted, this is decent place to overnight, but that's about all. Staff was friendly. Pool and jacuzzi were nice amenities, given it was about 100 degree at 8 pm. And the restaurant next door (Giggling something...) was adequate, although again - friendly staff. Bottom line, if you have to or are going to stay in Needles, this is probably your best option.

"Clean rooms and friendly staff "
MonicaOdl, 31 Juillet 2019

This is an average hotel with medium sized rooms with individual entrance from outside. The rooms were clean and equipped with fridge and coffee machine. The bathroom was very small with the sink located outside the bathroom. Beds were okay. The noise from the nearby railway tracks was pretty loud. A small breakfast was included in the price and served at a nearby restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

"Friendly service and a warm comfy room"
Dogboy63, 24 Juillet 2019

After a long day's driving on the fabulous Route 66, it was fantastic to get such a warm welcome. The gentleman at Reception was friendly and efficient, and got us into our room with a minimum of fuss. In the middle of winter, the room was warm and comfortable, even for a fa. There was also a very nice restaurant next door, where we were able to get our breakfast as part of the tariff (and we enjoyed dinner there too)

"Rescued us after Days Inn debacle"
ChrisRudd, 28 Juin 2019

We turned up at this hotel in the evening after being turned away from the previously booked Days Inn due to a water problem. The lady on reception was a breath of fresh air and treated us in a kind and friendly manner upon hearing our problem. She provided us with a good sized room with a large, very comfortable bed with all the amenities we could wish for including a fridge. She explained that the 'Giggling Cactus' restaurant next door was their in-house breakfast location and also open for dinner. We had both meals there and they were fine, with friendly service and decent if not spectacular food. There's also a pool and hot tub which was very relaxing. There can be noise from the nearby train tracks, but by then we'd got used to it so it didn't disturb our good night's sleep. A very warm welcome and a very decent hotel.

"If You Do Not Mind TRAIN NOISES ALL DAY & NIGHT LONG......."
djaAnnJ, 27 Juin 2019

This Best Western Hotel has TRAIN TRACKS half around back of their property! There was Freight Trains passing through ALL DAY & NIGHT LONG! The noise was NON-STOP... There was no Bath Soap In the Dispensors in bathroom. (thank goodness we had our own soap to bath with.) The Refrigerator was good- it kept our water & sodas cold. Beds were average- could have been more comfortable. The work station was right in front of the air-condition unit- NOT GOOD! Breakfast was very good. Denise was very helpful on where to eat dinner. AND- the summer tempature at this location was 110 degrees the day we was here! (SO HOT!!)

"Clean quiet room"
DeeBJohn, 21 Juin 2019

The hotel was clean and quiet. The room was big. The air conditioner works great. The bed was comfortable but needs better pillows. Bathroom was clean and had enough towels. It was located close to the highway but still quiet.

"This is the best hotel to stay at when staying in Needles, California."
Happiness63004443419, 17 Juin 2019

This hotel has a very nice pool & sauna out front along with a built in BBQ. I BBQ every time I stay which makes the experience even much more enjoyable. The staff there are is always a pleasure to deal with.

"Nice Place"
mslade, 07 Juin 2019

Check in and out was easy. Room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom clean. Plenty of parking. There is an outdoor pool. Only negative relates to breakfast. It is served in the restaurant next-door by way of a coupon and you are given one beverage and have a choice of one item which makes the breakfast poor compared to other hotels including Best Western. I would stay here again but the breakfast was lame.

"Nice clean rooms "
Misty C, 06 Juin 2019

Our stay was great!! The service was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable, I would recommend this to my friends and family, also great to have laundry facilities right there especially when your on vacation!

"Sewer smell was horrible"
Adventure57615335777, 28 Mai 2019

Sewer smell was horrible coming from bathroom. nothing we could do to get it to go away. hotel did not have any other rooms available. will never stay here again. cannot sleep well with that bad smell coming from the bathroom. even a towel under the door didn't help. would have been better off sleeping in the car.

"Great service"
MartinTafft, 02 Mai 2019

Perfectly acceptable accommodation but made all the better by the service from the desk staff and proximity to the Giggling Cactus for dinner and breakfast. Room was perfectly pleasant with all necessary amenities and comfortable beds.

"Great hotel!"
OnAir667177, 19 Avril 2019

The staff was great, bed was extremely comfortable (almost the most comfortable of any I have experienced, even in upper scale hotels), the room was very clean, and the dog area was clean too. I can heartily recommend this hotel!

"Good Place for Overnite in Needles"
steveyv0nneh, 10 Avril 2019

This is a good, basic motel. Check-in and -out is easy. Room has micro and fridge. Wifi worked ok. The included breakfast is served at the "Giggling Frog" restaurant next door. We had options that included hashbrowns, but they were undercooked and mushy in the center. They did give my wife a large cup of apple juice for no charge, though.

"Nice Place"
randyrA8210SY, 28 Mars 2019

The hotel was clean, had good amenities and was good for our one night stay. Thought it was a little pricey for the type of the hotel. Makenna at the front desk was very nice and pleasant. The restaurant next door is excellent and you get a free breakfast for staying at the hotel plus a 10% discount for any other meal. You might want to get gas before stopping here, it was $1 more than anywhere else.

"very nice place, except its a older motel"
Adventure19936208129, 26 Mars 2019

Service was great, and the room was great, except i think it needs upgrades. Restaurant was great and service was great. breakfast was free and a good healthy breakfast. I would give this hotel a good rating to stay.

"Big disappointment,"
Bobgpaa, 24 Mars 2019

If you are traveling I-40 pass this place by. Way over priced. I spent $197 for the night for a place to lay my head. The rooms are okay but the little things are missing. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are in wall dispensers in the tub area. I paid less in Long Beach for a beautiful room with a view of the harbor. Past this one by, heading west stay at the Best Western in Barstow. Heading East try Kingman.

"Peace and quiet"
BeauxTr, 17 Mars 2019

Rooms were neat and clean. Beds were comfortable.service was exceptional. Did not see pets.although not sure if that service was available. Nice not to hear dogs yapping all night. Grounds were spotless. Giggling cactus restaraunte next door. Would STAY there again

"BW on Eoute 66"
kwagners, 12 Mars 2019

Very nice hotel on Route 66. The restaurant attached to it was awesome. The food generous in portions, very good and a good price. The whole staff could not have been more accommodating. We stayed 5 days for the RC Model boat races at Pirates Cove.

"GREAT PLACE TO REST"
Chuck8700, 14 Février 2019

The Best Western Colorado River Inn is located right of Route 66 and I-40. It is a well appointed hotel with large quiet rooms. They also have a pool. The staff are professionals. They ensure you are happy with your room and the service at the hotel. Breakfast is provided at the Giggling Cactus, located next door. There are several other restaurants within easy walking distance.

"Average older Best Western"
BRuke1, 13 Février 2019

No surprises. A little worn around the edges, but no major complaints. The only thing to object to is the noise from big rigs in the adjacent parking lot. (Not on motel property, but just the other side of the fence.) Unless you are a very light sleeper, this should not be a major problem. Included breakfast is next door. We had a super-friendly server.

"Great hotel"
Jean K, 12 Février 2019

We were not expecting a lot from the Best Western in Needles, CA. As it turned out, it was the best one we had stayed at on this trip. The handicap room was spacious with enough room to manuver a scooter. The breakfast was at the restaurant next door and it was great to have bacon and eggs cooked to order at no charge! I would recommend this hotel.

"Loud and stinky"
grissomgang5, 03 Février 2019

Beds were comfortable and staff was very nice. BUT the room smelled of must and it was very loud with the train and the coyotes yipping all night long. Not worth $130 a night. If you have triple A or Military you do get a discount. Making the total about $112

"Did the job"
Taughboyne, 12 Janvier 2019

I wouldn't recommend Needles as a great town for tourists but if you need a bed for the night this Best Western is a decent choice. More expensive than other accommodation, it is clean, provides all the basics and has comfortable beds. We checked in early after crossing the Colorado River from Arizona and gaining an hour on the clock. Saw nearby railroad tracks but was not disturbed by traffic on them. This Inn has a reduced meal deal with the adjacent restaurant that helps to offset the $130 a night plus rate. Not special but certainly adequate.

"Wonderful front desk"
Bejke, 12 Janvier 2019

After a long drive from Anaheim (and visit Calico) it was great to arrive to this hotel. The room was avarage, clean, big enough, the AC very noisy. Pool and hot tube was great also. But the night front desk.. I've never seen before so nice, helpful, fair guy at the front desk. I asked his advice about where to fill up my car cheaper than at the gas station in front of the hotel - and he gave me a very perfect solution with prices, how-to-find it, and while he explained to me he gestured as you can see in any American movie a recepcionist - I really loved him!

"Get a blanket"
Bladedakota, 05 Janvier 2019

Long moving trip & stopped here for the night after checking reviews. The room was clean, comfy bed but the heating unit was a noise box! We called for more blankets as we could see this heater was not going to cut it. The front desk person, Martin, was very helpful & patient & the maintenance guy, who also helped us park our uhaul, was very nice also. The property is right off the free way, so it's a little noisy. Would we go back- yes. But if it is during cold weather we will get blankets at check in.

"Exceptional front desk service"
reginakbr, 31 Décembre 2018

My family was driving through and needed a place to stay for the night. We found this hotel using an online third party search and booking site. When we got there, we learned that the site had overcharged us by more than $40, that a cot we requested and was listed in the reservation wasn't included in the inflated price. Also the site said that breakfast was included for all of us. That wasn't quite true either. (We got free coffee and a voucher for 2 breakfasts at a neighboring restaurant). Brett took care of us completely. He assisted us with successfully cancelling the online reservation (which was considered by the site to be nonrefundabe) and getting us in a room that accommodated our family at the correct fair price. He offered unusually competent and kind service and cared sincerely that we had a good and honest experience. The hotel itself is decent, clean and offers a pool, hot tub and sauna. If you are going through Needles, it's a good spot. Just call directly. For our part we will never use a booking service again. Thank you so much Brett for going above and beyond for us!

"Great outdoor amenities "
764torib, 22 Décembre 2018

This BW location has a great outdoor pool area with a propane grill, sink, bathroom, lots of seating with great ambiance, pool and hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast next door was delicious! The WiFi was being updated while staying there, so there were times when it was down, but they have lots of good channels on tv to enjoy. The room I stayed in was nice, however, the bathroom area was where my only problems occurred. I didn't report any of them to the staff, but my bathroom faucet was difficult to transition to the shower head, and it felt like I was going to break it off of the wall when trying to use it. I know they are in a renovation stage, so I hope that will be part of it! Over all it was a nice place to stay.

"Good base “camp” for hiking with good hot tub!"
Rebecca D, 23 Novembre 2018

When you're on a hiking trip you are really seeking dependable services and a degree of convenience. This Best Western has a great location to easily get you to some great hikes. Rooms are predictable, but I just love good towels and theirs are soft, fluffy and seem fairly new. The room decor does need a color refresh, and the chairs are not particularly comfortable, but what's most important when hiking? A HOT TUB! The pool are I decent and the hot tub large with perfect water temperature. Free breakfast at the cafe just across the parking lot will fuel you for your adventures.

"Good Hotel"
hpisles, 23 Novembre 2018

There isn't much choices of places to stay in Needles and this hotel is one of the better hotels in town. The room was clean, spacious with mini refrigerator, good wifi, iron and ironing board. It wasn't fancy but basic but filled our need for good clean lodging. The breakfast was served across the way at the Giggling Cactus restaurant which was plentiful and quite good.

"Open and white room layout. Microwave, fridge and good tv as well as coffee machine. Plenty of towels, pillows and envi"
theresad114, 07 Novembre 2018

Open, spacious and very white spacious room with two comfortable beds. Microwave, fridge, coffee machine and good tv. Plenty of towels and pillows and environmentally friendly soap and shampoo dispenser in bathroom. Free breakfast included and in reception there is cold water, herbal tea and coffee. Crystal clean pool off reception with a spa and free towels. A bit noisey at night due to close train line and plenty of truck traffic.

"Needles Colorado Inn"
Passenger17561014321, 30 Octobre 2018

Spent a night here on the way to LA. The place is a bit isolated, the rooms were mostly ok though. They might have used some freshening up - the air was a bit stuffy - but otherwise clean. The location might be a bit noisy due to the a train track being right behind the motel. The evening we spent there a very long hauling train spent a good 10 minutes passing by.

"Best Hotel in Needles"
Venture32253256954, 30 Octobre 2018

Clean room. We stayed in a suite, which also offered an interior room entrance. The suite has a kitchenette, featuring a sink, counter, fridge and microwave. The bed was that great, but I've slept in worse for more money. Very nice pool and patio area. It's walled, so private from the street. Nice fire-pit, and bbq island. We used the hot tub and it was great.

"We Will ONLY Stay With Best Western"
Coastal552084, 26 Octobre 2018

We've tried many different hotels/motels while making our many road trips and found that even though Best Western is a bit more expensive than other places that we've stayed, the value of what they offer far exceeds the additional cost.

"Cross Country Trip"
Arthur D, 20 Octobre 2018

This stop was our last stop before reaching our destination in the sierra foot hills. There is not much of a selection in needles but the Motel Six location did its job. 2 clean beds was all we needed. Clerk was helpful and motel was located close to a dog park with grass. not a resort just a stop worth the money

"Good location but OK room"
Winnie S, 08 Octobre 2018

The hotel was located off of the highway but it was very quiet. There is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel so it was easy to walk to for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast is included in the hotel rate. For the room rate, we were a bit surprised at the overall quality of the room. It was definitely clean and tidy but there was a residual odor from someone previously smoking in the room sometime in the past. The room smelled like Febreze spray had been used to cover up the odor. Again, it was clean and tidy but not what we expected based on the room rate. The rate was a bit higher than some competitor hotels in Needles we looked at for the night but have always had good success at Best Westerns so we chose this one. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful so absolutely NO complaints about the staff.

"A Wonderful Surprise"
331Traveler331, 15 Septembre 2018

We stayed in Needles because we needed an overnight between New Mexico and home in California. We had no idea of what to expect. The only reason this hotel didn't get a 5 star rating is because there is no elevator so we had to lug our bags up to the second floor, the decor was a bit dated, and the clothes hangers were the theft-proof kind that we find inconvenient to use. But none of those issues detracted from the clean rooms and efficient service. We were particularly pleased with the breakfast, a cooked one at the restaurant next door. It was the best included breakfast we had our entire 23 day trip, far superior to the buffet kind at both the Hilton and Marriott properties we had stayed at. We would have no hesitation in stopping over in Needles again in the future.

"Courteous, helpful staff and comfortable room"
BJ S, 13 Septembre 2018

Front desk staff member went out of his way to accommodate me and my needs. He was professional, conscientious and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with nice amenities. The free breakfast is at the restaurant next door with a very limited free meal selection. I skipped the free meal and had a great breakfast across the street.

"Nice room, lovely staff"
Sonia C, 08 Septembre 2018

We stayed 1 night while travelling along Route 66. Check in was easy, very friendly staff, one of the guys was very interested in our car and chatted away for quite some time. They were also very helpful with local information, where to get cheaper gas etc. We had a downstairs room, which was clean and had everything we needed and parking was easy, right outside our door. We had dinner at the 'Giggling Cactus' next door, which was lovely (and huge!) and free breakfast at the same place was included and was one of the best breakfasts we had on our entire trip. Would recommend staying here if travelling through Needles.

"Good value"
melani3engelke, 04 Septembre 2018

We stayed here during a Route 66 trip. The staff we interacted with were really helpful and efficient. Check in and check out were painless and quick. We had a king room with a comfortable bed. The room was a bit sparce as far as furniture goes, but we only stayed one night and details like that weren't really important to us. The ONLY complaint I had was that the AC in our room was so incredibly loud which led to frequently interrupted sleep. Overall, it was a nice stay and we would probably stop here again if we were in the area.

"Stop over in Needles"
Bob W, 02 Septembre 2018

Stopped here for a night as driving from The Grand Canyon to LA. Arrived and was booked in very quickly, kids went straight to the pool which was refreshing in the heat. Towels were provided. Room was average and dated but comfortable. We stayed at the back of the hotel and realised that there is a train line running very close by. It wasn't that bad as the noise from the AC drowned out everything except the kids. We had to get out of the pool as a thunder storm was coming and boy did it come, Never seen a light show like it. Free breakfast is available next door which all helps.

"Nice Hotel"
donnalynnclark, 31 Août 2018

Good, quiet room. Brett, Front Desk, was exceptional. Very friendly, helpful, & accomodating. Great asset for the Company! Nice selection of souvenirs. Free breakfast at restaurant next door. ...........................

"Housing Inspector"
Lizwoods1, 31 Août 2018

Only stayed 1 night at this hotel. Shout out to Brett, Front Desk. He was very friendly, helpful, & accommodating. Hotel had big, clean rooms. Free breakfast at Restaurant next door. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Nice Stay, surprised with inside- beautiful and relaxing"
joergw228, 12 Août 2018

From the outside, it ;looks like a regular hotel, staff was very friendly, than leaving the elevator, we entered a beatiful Foyer with skylight and seating eara in the center- the rooms are around, the next foyer was aslo with skylight and seating area with Art and flowers, so relaxing, imagine no small hallway a big foyer in which you can sit, watch and enjoy a glass of wine and go back into the room, very nice

"Route 66 motel"
TonyTanz, 11 Août 2018

We stayed here on our recent journey along Route 66, the room was clean, the bed was comfy and the staff were very friendly. They have a pool which is great on a summer's afternoon in Needles and reception has pool towels for customers use. The only reason I give this place a poor rating is they gave us our room which we settled into. About 1/2 hour later the door opens and another couple have been given the same room. The front desk then rings and asks if we're staying a second night. I told them we'd just checked in. We then find our room cards were cancelled due to the other couple being given the same room. Whilst staff were apologetic it just shouldn't happen in the age of computer bookings.

"Great stay for a great price"
melpodge, 07 Août 2018

Driving back to Albuquerque this was exactly 1/2 way from our departure city. Hotel was very clean with A really nice pool. The king bed was very comfortable and the room was huge! A full hot breakfast was included at the restaurant next door and food was great!

"Pricey"
Chad_Tracy, 01 Août 2018

During a 16 day road trip, this hotel was one of the most expensive ones we stayed at, but didn't offer anything extra for the additional price. Breakfast was available at the Giggking Cactus restaraunt next door, but you had to get a coupon at the front desk which only gave you 4 options to choose from...no substitutions

"Nice pet friendly hotel in Needles"
jkdaves, 31 Juillet 2018

Name is deceiving, hotel is not on the Colorado River. Room was ok. The extras this hotel has to offer are very nice. Pet friendly with a $25 fee. Nice shaded fenced dog park area. Super great for hot summer. Breakfast is a real restaurant across the parking lot. Nice historic walking path in front of hotel. Pool and hot tub area are fantastic. Sat by pool and read the paper in the morning. Staff was nice, especially Brent who assisted me at check in. We will stay here again.

"Basic Property, Okay Stay, Friendly Staff"
Susan M, 25 Juillet 2018

We were probably like most travelers who stay in Needles out of necessity on a long road trip. We were given a discounted last-minute rate of $130. The rooms were basic, functional, pretty dated but seemed clean enough until I went to close the curtain and didn't want to touch it as it was covered in grime. We were looking forward to the included breakfast in the next door restaurant but the voucher had limited options and we ended up paying for what we wanted to eat. The best thing about the property and the restaurant was the staff - in both cases they were very friendly and helpful.

"Clean"
cajesajulga, 11 Juillet 2018

Great place that has been clean the last few times I have stayed there of the summer. The free breakfast has declined as of this last trip the menu options were decreased. Which the breakfast I had the last stay was good enough for me to want to come back to this hotel. I will probably be looking for somewhere that has a better breakfast or closer to a restaurant of my choice.

"Good hotel, actual breakfast at next door's restaurant"
Poli-ca5, 10 Juillet 2018

We stayed here on the way from LA to Grand Canyon. The hotel was decent. Rooms were clean. A/C. Breakfast was a voucher to next door's restaurant which was good. The parking lot is right in front of the rooms. The location is good. Near FWY. Sometimes you had to wait a while if the receptionist was on the phone with a customer. They only have 1 receptionist. They should let you know or post a sign that you can just drop off your key to check out instead of waiting for them to finish their conversation just to take your key.

"Great hotel"
sruthp, 07 Juillet 2018

The pool looked a little run down and people were allowed to smoke on the property, but other than that I really liked this hotel. There is a little dog park, the gate didn't close, but I appreciated having a specific dog area. The breakfast is next door at a restaurant called Giggling Cactus.

"Adequate"
Resque, 03 Juillet 2018

It is what it is and for that it is good. The room doors open on the parking lot. The rooms are clean. The mattress is comfortable. Shampoo, etc is in a dispenser. There is no bar soap available. The outside is newly painted. The parking lot shows some wear. Breakfast is offered via voucher at the restaurant next door. The offer does not included eggs, bacon, etc. There is a pool and hot tub. There is not a fitness or business center. The road noise is not bad. The A/C noise is loud. Fortunately the A/C unit is eight feet from the bed so it does not blow directly on you. The staff is efficient if not overly friendly. The lobby has Route 66 memorabilia. The satellite TV was not working, but we did not call the front desk. For an overnight stop the place is fine. The price is OK, not great.

"Very Accomodating of Pets, Trailers"
SCVerMF, 01 Juillet 2018

We stayed here twice on our way two and from vacation. They have ample space and let us park our trailer inside their lot (as they did with others.) Also they allow dogs and have a nice shaded dog park area for the dogs to stretch their legs. (Note to staff, gate doesn't latch well and the fence has a gap on back side along bottom.) They also have a cute desert garden out front and the pool area is very nice, with music, fire pits, etc. The rooms are typical for a mid-range hotel. Clean. Quiet. No problems with noise or sketchy characters. With mini fridge and microwave. Free wifi. Free breakfast...real breakfast....at the adjacent restaurant, and 10% off other meals. The adjacent restaurant had good food. Overall this was a pleasant and convenient pit stop for our travels and we would definitely stay there again on this route.

"Ok hotel, noisy trains"
Thexprt7, 30 Juin 2018

Arrived late Friday afternoon, one desk clerk and had to wait in line almost 10 mins to check in. Clerk was friendly and helpful. As others note rooms are a little dated and are in need of updating. Rooms were clean, beds were a little hard for our taste. TV is way too small for the room (indicated update). One thing, this hotel is right by freight train tracks and trains are constant. We counted 3 trains passing in less than 60 mins from 9-10 pm. Trains start again in the early morning. They were noisy enough to wake everyone up when they passed. AC runs constantly and is very noisy. Based on the rooms, checkin in time too long and the noise of the trains we would recommend staying somewhere else.

"Great place"
Candigirl41, 25 Juin 2018

This hotel was amazing. Great pool and jacuzzi. Comfortable beds. They offered free breakfast which we didn't use as we wanted to get going, but they offered us bagged goodies with juice, fruit and granola bars. Beds were great. My only issue was not getting a ground floor room, but I booked late so that is on me. Would definitely stay here again

"Above and beyond customer service"
jefflapin, 20 Juin 2018

Really enjoyed this hotel for a night on the road for our cross-country trip via I-40 and US66. I had accidentally selected the wrong date. The 2 people at the desk spent quite a bit of time working with the booking service to get me a refund for my “nonrefundable” reservation.

"Nice stay"
christie988, 20 Juin 2018

The rooms, hotel and staff at the BW were all great. The AC in our room worked wonderfully as being from SF it was hot!! Comfy beds, pleasant and helpful staff and walking distance to a few eateries. When back in Needles I will return to the BW.

"Just Passing Through "
Rose G, 10 Juin 2018

Good rate. Easy check in. Very cute and comfortable. Very clean. Route 66 items for sale in lobby. Friendly staff. The double queen beds are very comfortable. After a long drive, it was just what I needed. Highly recommended. Thanks so much!

"A little bit of history at your feet!"
Margo I, 28 Mai 2018

Yep part of Route 66,a small part. Good stay at Best Western as always. The lobby was fun with all kinds of Rt 66 memorabilia available for purchase. The room was noisy from the trains and trucks but it did not bother us. The best part of this place was the pool. What an Oasis. It Was beautiful!!!! Sat outside in the evening just relaxing and reading. Cushy chairs, landscaped with lots of desert flowers, fire features and umbrellas. Plus there was a restaurant within walking distance.

"Hotel/Motel"
Peter B, 22 Mai 2018

Ok so this is a hotel but set up like a motel with all the room round the outside. The rooms are large and clean with everything you need. The pool is a great way to relax and the hot tub is hot. The free breakfast across the road is all you need to start the day so don't bother going off menu unless you are realy hungry.

"Great for motorcyclest"
curtisa116, 20 Mai 2018

Our group of 7 stay here. Close to gas and food (within walking distance). Accommodations were made to keep our group together and downstairs near our bikes. Free food voucher was used for breakfast. Quality and portions were good. Hotel/room was clean, with refrigerator and microwave. Rooms had outlet bank for charging electronics, nice!.

"Another Route 66 Best Western ??"
cjkrimm, 18 Mai 2018

We have never had a bad stay at a Best Western. Left Oatman and decided to stay the night on Route 66 at this BW. Again the rooms are nice and those king size beds are so comfy. The unique thing about this one is their is no breakfast because they give you a voucher to eat at the “Giggling Cactus” which is a few steps away from the parking lot. We elected to eat dinner there after we got situated in our room. The dinner was absolutely great. They have a nice bar so I had a couple of glasses of ?? too!! BTW show your room key and you get a discount on your dinner too ?? We are looking forward to our breakfast there tmrw morning. Nightie night ????

"Mother Road travels"
Patricia K, 04 Mai 2018

Convenient stopping place for a couple days as we traveled home from central CA. Had a good night's sleep, though it's close to the highway & a lot of motorcycle activity that weekend due to an annual event. A bit high priced, at least when we were there. No elevator to 2nd floor, and can't always count on getting a ground floor room. But needed to do a little laundry, and guest machines are also on 2nd floor, so that worked out. Great breakfast included (though limited to 4 options) at restaurant next door. Would stay here again.

"Very nice clean hotel highly recommended"
CarlisleHouse-Mary, 02 Mai 2018

Spent one night in early May. Room was extremely clean, neat and well supplied with amenities. Tim at the front desk and Hotel Principal Mr Biswas were both very helpful, polite and professional! A nice stay for all! Try their delicious restaurant next door: the Giggling Cactus!

"Nice Surprise"
lmarr0, 30 Avril 2018

It's a no frills hotel, but very nice considering it's in the middle of nowhere. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean. There is a pool with a nice patio to just hangout in after a long day of driving. We ate at the restaurant next door for dinner and breakfast. The hotel gives you a breakfast coupon which we used. If we're ever in Needles again, this is the place we are going to stay.

"Beware: Facility has NO elevators "
Mr C, 30 Avril 2018

Clean comfortable facility, but NO ELEVATORS! A little high priced for level and area of accommodations. The best amenity is the free breakfast at the Giggling Cactus next door! Wonderful restaurant. Big gift shop in lobby but makes it seem a little tacky.

"Niot iworth it!"
DREW H, 26 Avril 2018

Hotel was clean but overpriced! Just a few miles down up or down the road you can stay at a Best Western Hotel that offers a better overall experience. Just be sure to book a few days in advance so you do not have to stay at this hotel. I waited until the day before and learned my lesson.

"Great hotel en route to LA"
Claire R, 25 Avril 2018

Ideal location as a stopping point between Grand Canyon and LA. Quick check in, good sized room with parking outside. Clean and fairly quiet at night. Breakfast at the Giggling Cactus was good and included in the room rate price.

"Great Hotel doesn't need to change anything!"
downtheroad57, 25 Avril 2018

Our check in was quick and easy. Traveling with our Classic Car it was nice we could park right outside our room. Room was comfortable. We could walk across the parking lot to the Giggling Cactus for supper, which serviced a great meal. The next morning breakfast for the hotel was in the same restaurant and included in your room cost. Would highly recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

"A Gem to be found"
Lois B, 20 Avril 2018

Nice hotel with beautiful grounds and excellent service. Loved the restaurant next door - Giggling Cactus - which had great service and good food. Beds were comfortable and room very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

"semi-annual stay"
marbernjake, 04 Avril 2018

A nice place to stay for snowbirds,pet-friendly,we like to be able to park right by the door for an overnight stay, nice breakfast next door.We didn't go to the pool but it is nicely landscaped and lighted.

"Clean and comfortable 2 night stay."
37Tallytraveller11, 21 Mars 2018

We recently stayed here for 2 nights while we were exploring the Mojave Preserve. Check-in was easy. Room was comfortable and relatively quiet. (we didn't hear much in the way of neighbors or people outside- however, if you are on the "back" of the building you will hear trains going by. If you're a light sleeper, you may want earplugs or a sound machine) We loved the pool, spa, and sauna. Such a pleasant area. The lobby giftshop was handy- I actually bought a bathing suit there to enjoy the waters. Breakfast at the restaurant next door was easy and good. Better than most hotel buffets. Overall, a pleasant stay. Note: the hotel is not actually on the Colorado River, nor can you see it from the hotel. Just FYI.

"Well-kept with a hearty breakfast included"
Robert R, 21 Mars 2018

Comfortable room; good mattresses and pillows. Bathroom recently redone with new comfort height toilet. Bonus included in the price: Hearty breakfast (2 eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, toast and coffee or tea or juice) (or other options like oatmeal, etc) right next door at the Giggling Cactus, where service was friendly and prompt.

"Book online for a better deal"
Brenda L, 15 Mars 2018

We were traveling from central valley, CA to New Mexico and decided to stop in Needles, CA after a 7.5 hour drive on our first day. We didn't make any reservation online because we weren't sure when and where we were going to stop even though we considered to stop at Best Western at Needles, CA. Of course we did end up staying here and it turned out to be a bit pricier than I expected. It was $10-$15 more than I expected (even with the pet fee of $15) based on third-party booking websites shown on google maps. Now for the pros and cons.... Pros: 1) Great, friendly front desk staff and smooth check-in and check-out service 2) No restaurant or even breakfast inside hotel; however restaurant serving all 3 meals within walking distance (Giggling Cactus). You get complimentary breakfast there and 10% off dinner. 3) Clean, spacious rooms. 4) Conveniently located near I-40, easy access. 5) Fenced-in pet relief area where your furry friend can be off-leash with poop bags. 6) I love that the soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion came out of the dispenser instead of those annoying small plastic bottles, which are easier to use (well should be-look at cons) and are more environmental-friendly Cons: 1) Not in a great area in terms of noise (near a trucker stop) and walls are thin 2) Our room had a weird smell when we walked in 3) If you want a complimentary breakfast, you are limited to 4 options...so no buffet style breakfast. Other options on their menu are 20% off for breakfast but looked alot more enticing 4) The dispenser was harder to use than it looked, esp for the soap. I would have to push several times to get the body wash out and when it came out, very little was dispensed at once. 5) Speaking of environmental friendly, no recycling cans. 6) Tiny bathroom (more so according to my bf)

"Spring break adventure"
Kapra H, 11 Mars 2018

We are on a spring break adventure off the beaten path. Flew into Vegas and drove to California. We weren't sure what to expect. The part of Needles we drove through on Route 66 reminded me of the old town in the Disney Movie CARS. This hotel is a diamond in the rough! It is a clean, quaint hotel with a wonderful outdoor pool, fire pit and spa. Our room was huge, 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper. The restaurant next door was delicious, the Giggling Cactus. Breakfast for the hotel is served there too. This is the place to stay in Yuma.

"Well Accomodated"
Barry L, 09 Mars 2018

BW is my go to chain. This property is well run & maintained. Our room was very comfortable. We also got a free hot breakfast at the restaurant next door. There were two guys working behind the front desk when we checked in. The younger one was friendly & helpful but the older one came across as surly & grumpy?

"Clean Rooms"
Sharkhunter2010, 12 Février 2018

Room was clean and comfortable. My room was a bit noisy as the doors are all exterior so people and vehicles moving by can be heard- Perhaps a room on the second floor would help with this, but beware there is no elevator. The free breakfast is at the restaurant nest door and is a nice touch, boysenberry syrup for the pancakes! Staff was friendly and caring.

"Can be noisy. Excellent breakfast at next door restaurant."
Leftyr21, 31 Janvier 2018

We stopped at this hotel for a night at half way drive to Grand Canyon. We got a room on the ground floor right by the stairs. We would wake up every time someone walks down carting their laggyage from upstairs. We liked the restaurant next door and free breakfast was cooked to order. We might have a better experience if we stayed in different room. Although beds were hard to sleep on and not comfortable.

"Route 66 NOW!"
G Y, 29 Janvier 2018

Needles may be a smaller town but some things here are top of the line, like this BW hotel , We are trying to see as much of old Route 66 as possible, this place is not cheap , but if you want cheap you could go downtown to some old place, unfortunately that does not make a good holiday. They recommended the Giggiling Cactus just next to them and they meet the same standards. This place is like new or else is super well maintained, we have been in many nice places, price does not make a place nice and comfortable , this is mostly done by people. So if you are on I 40 westbound or east , this is the place.

"On our way!"
shortly68, 18 Janvier 2018

We will be there Friday January 19 th looking forward to another stay. Crossing our fingers the pool is warm because the weather is supposed to be cool for our visit. Please turn it up a bit. We stayed there a while back and it was a excellent time!

"What a wonderful place"
Denise M, 16 Janvier 2018

This hotel is older with exterior doors. Exceptionably clean and obviously well loved by its owners and staff. A great touch is the dog walk area which is enclosed and gated to let the pups off the leash. This is our new stop on the road as we cross from KY to LA.

"The Weary Traveler"
Lori D, 03 Janvier 2018

This was a good halfway point for our destination. It's always great to stay at a Best Western. Friendly staff, good location & the continental breakfast was at the restaurant next door. Very nice & clean hotel. The staff were polite & helpful.

"Great place to stay in the middle of nowhere"
Jo W, 01 Janvier 2018

We have stayed at this Best Western for at least 4 years on our annual trip from the West Coast to Texas. We have consistently been impressed with the staff, the spacious rooms, the breakfast, and the warmth and function of the decor. We look forward to yet another stay next year. Good job, Colorado River Inn!

"Needles is the place to stop..."
JanHouston, 31 Décembre 2017

On the road from Houston to NorCal...this is a beautiful route. This BW is welcoming, clean, great bed, table for two for in-room dining, and home cooked breakfast in adjacent restaurant. And it is on Rte. 66.....also pet friendly,

"Expensive and noisy"
R7398RSpaulm, 29 Décembre 2017

It's 50% more expensive than the Best Western Plus Wayfarer's Inn in Kingman, and it's a lot noisier (closer to I40 and the BNSF freight line, idling trucks next door, and a loudspeaker screeching out pop Christmas tunes outside the lobby late into the night. Plus the room is smaller and less nicely furnished and the desk clerks are harried and unfriendly.

"Too expensive "
jvchapp, 26 Décembre 2017

It's a motel. It has a bed, toilet, shower, basically all the typical things you need when looking for overnight accommodations. However, it's very overpriced. The standard rate is $170/night. Breakfast is provided in a coupon to use at the establishment next door. The train that runs nearby is sure to wake you several times during the night. The carts being pushed in front of the doors are sure to stir you from bed as well. Nothing fancy that warrants that particular price tag. If I wanted to pay $170/ night I would assume I'm being put up in the ritziest, most modern, clean, quiet, comfy hotel with an amazing breakfast onsite. Unfortunately we were tired from driving and just coasted in off the highway without doing or research first.

"Noisy and broken lock"
286duaned, 22 Décembre 2017

I've stayed at several Best Western hotels in the past and this was by far the worst experience I've had. There was a problem with noise. At 3:00 AM I was woken by the loud beeping sound that large vehicles make when backing up. This was occurring right outside my room and went on for several minutes. Then, after I returned from breakfast, I could not gain access to my room. The room lock was jammed and a maintenance guy had to break into the room though the window to gain access to my room. I was in a hurry to hit the road and this was a major inconvenience. The hotel only gave me 500 bonus reward points for this inconvenience which is pretty insulting.

"Best western stay"
547kiels, 16 Décembre 2017

The staff was very nice. Check very easy. Rooms clean and comfy. Some wi-fi issues but that's all. Will be using this hotel for the remaining time I'll be working in the area. Breakfast is next door at the giggling cactus, where the staff is also very friendly.

"Nice place to stop"
Donald B, 04 Décembre 2017

Service was great the amenities were good and the rooms are clean, pool area was very nice and well maintained. Convenient having a restaurant right next door. Good and easy access to the freeway within a few blocks.

"Excellent value for the area. Nice property, helpful staff, good breakfast option."
Q1639FRkristinb, 04 Décembre 2017

Excellent value for area. Drive by from LA to Williams and halfway point. Excellent breakfast option. Rooms clean. Staff super helpful. Would recommend with no hesitation. Do not typically stay at Best Western chain but may reconsider.

"RT 66 adventure"
Cigarguy323, 28 Novembre 2017

I have stayed at Best Western motels before and have been satisfied so this was an easy choice. The hotel, though updated still maintained that 50's and 60's vibe. Fit right in considering my wife and I were hitting a lot of old Route 66 pavement.

"Quality for Price"
Stephen H, 28 Novembre 2017

The overall experience was great for a down-the-road travel experience. It was exactly what we needed in the best place possible and they did an exemplary job. The breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was very good. the items available at the in-office shop were cool and appropriate to the location and modestly priced. Just what I was looking for.

"Do not stay here"
rickmR6723JQ, 28 Novembre 2017

Note the railroad tracks next to the hotel. Staff was some of the worst I have dealt with. Raised rate because I did not have a reservation. Parking is very tight with a wall making it difficult to park in tiny spaces.

"Nice stopover"
j a, 27 Novembre 2017

Had a great nights sleep. Ty was very kind and helpful at check in. A voucher at giggling cactus for breakfast is a big plus. No waffle line no self serve and breakfast till 11! Staff were great. A nice hometown atmosphere calling u hon or sweetheart : ). We had a nice rest after a long roadtrip

"Leisure Trip"
Robert W, 21 Novembre 2017

Motel was very accomodating, access on and off the freeway was very easy. Cafe next door to the motel had great food and very good employees, cafe opens at 6 am California time and we leave at 6am, so we do not have breakfast.

"The best ever hotel"
Silvia C, 20 Novembre 2017

I would like to say the best ever friendly people, best food, best room I had had there. I will really recommend 100%. The people were very friendly. We arrived at night and the staff at the hotel were very nice to us.

"B.W. Colorado River Inn"
georgekO4531GJ, 19 Novembre 2017

Staff very polite and cordial. No serious concerns with the room. Clearly overpriced for a two diamond rating. Easy on-off to I-40. Complimentary breakfast available at the restaurant next door. Some noise from the hotel music outside.

"Great Stay"
547jake, 19 Novembre 2017

The staff is great. If I ever have a problem the quickly take of whatever is wrong. Breakfast is at the giggling catus next door and the service is quick and the serving staff is very friendly. Overall a great stay

"Lovely Hotel"
Kaw52, 18 Novembre 2017

Such a pleasant place to stay. All staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Pool was lovely. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. The food at the restaurant next door was also fabulous.

"Great value and nice Comfortable Stay"
susinak907, 15 Novembre 2017

We have stayed in this property se real times when traveling through the area. The property staff is always accommodating of our needs. We had a nice ground floor room with Double Queen beds which were very comfortable.

"A pleasant and very comfortable hotel"
917uwet, 10 Novembre 2017

We stayed at the BW Needles CA on our way back from the Grand Canyon and on our way to Pasadena as part of a 2 week holiday in Southern California and the Grand Canyon. Like the four other BW hotels, we stayed during this holiday, our room at the Needles BW was very comfortable, quiet, spacious, well decorated and the staff was extremely helpful and professional. The pool area was well landscaped and extremely relaxing. Would certainly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

"Excellent hotel"
Charles H, 08 Novembre 2017

Hotel is modern with updated rooms. Every thing is clean and decor is well done with at Route 66 theme. Breakfast is free at the restaurant on property. Limited menu but much better than the standard free breakfast. Staff is excellent at both the hotel and restaurant. We were traveling to Phoenix and did not take advantage of local attractions. A little pricey but not outrageous.

"Best of Best Western!"
GOODGUY1212, 06 Novembre 2017

We stayed here two nights. It was a very well kept hotel. The grounds are clean too. The breakfast at the restaurant was fantastic! A highlight of staying here!! We will stay here again. This is a nice place!

"Not worth $140+ a night to sleep in Needles!"
Carolynmv, 02 Novembre 2017

On checking in they quoted a 30% higher price than available on line! Be sure to do your research! They would not meet the on line price, so I stood there and made the reservation on line. I watched others come in and ask for the best price and, of course, they paid 390% more than I did!! $140 feels like a rip off for a clean hotel in Needles, Ca!

"NICEST HOTEL IN NEEDLES"
Renee B, 29 Octobre 2017

If you find yourself having to overnight in Needles,CA this is the only hotel where I would stay. The staff is professional, articulate and the rooms, while basic, were properly cleaned. The parking lot is well lit. There is a also a nice, not fancy, restaurant that adjoins the parking lot that serves comfort food and you are able to get a cocktail, which is always a nice way to end a full day of driving

"Confortable & clean home away from home"
PrivatePeepette, 26 Octobre 2017

When you need a safe, secure home away from home, visit this Best Western. They made me feel welcome in the middle of he night and I appreciated their friendliness. The bed was so comfortable with plenty of pillows, nice big clean room that was quiet, and my car was safe all night. The shower with soap dispensers was great and the TV had every channel anyone could want. Checkout was fast and friendly and the ladies working that morning were awesome! Thank you for taking care of me.

"Friendly Staff on Route 66"
Jo P, 24 Octobre 2017

We checked into our room at dusk after a day of travel. Check in was done quickly with a smile. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. There is a restaurant with a bar just across the parking lot which serves good food in a relaxed atmosphere. You are given vouchers to have breakfast here in the morning. This hotel is conveniently located just off the interstate.

Clean room, convenient gift shop at hotel lobby, and hot breakfast at restaurant. All at reasonable price. I also have good experiences at other Best Western hotels. Best Western is really best for us.

"stay"
patriciabW985BP, 18 Octobre 2017

Rooms were clean. Seemed like an old hotel. Not many options in Needles, this hotel was probably the best that is available. Front desk always seemed very busy. Loved the gift shop. The free breakfast was at the restaurant next door. That was a treat over normal hotel "free" breakfast. Food was good and hot and you had options.

"Snowbird express"
renec731, 17 Octobre 2017

We always try to stay at this location on our trip fom Canada to our winter home in Arizona. We can be sure of a restful night after a long day of driving. Facilities are excelent and service is top-notch.

"Great Find!"
CaribbeanJo, 16 Octobre 2017

This is a fun hotel with clean rooms and a cute lobby. We were there for a class reunion. It's a little pricey for the area, but if you don't mind spending a little over $100, it is worth it. Nice pool, jacuzzi, and restaurant. Breakfast in the restaurant was included, so that helped the value.

"Delightful experience"
RoadtripperFun, 15 Octobre 2017

After 3 weeks traveling on Route 66 this is one of the hotels in my top 5. The room was comfortable and the staff pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast is next door in a restaurant with fresh eggs and delicious freshly made sides.

"Stayed Multiple Times - Highly Recommend"
Julie R, 12 Octobre 2017

I've stayed at this hotel about 6 times. Each time the service has been excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is free at restaurant next door and a 10% discount for other meals with room key.

"Last Minute Stay"
rjatexas, 11 Octobre 2017

Great Service by your employees (Ms. Sam) and great looking hotel and rooms. Only the bed was a little squeak. The breakfast was great along with the Waitresses at The Giggle Cactus Ms. Shellie for dinner and Ms. Sara were outstanding in the service.

"Just passing through"
bonnieanddanielm, 10 Octobre 2017

We stayed here on our way from the Grand Canyon to Sequoia National Park. We arrived late. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable and breakfast next door was awesome. Booked online a couple weeks prior for a great rate (less than $120).

"Overnight Stay"
rona698, 10 Octobre 2017

Great place to stay. Super clean and the pool/spa area was over the top gorgeous. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Free breakfast at the restaurant next door and the food was awesome.

"Getting our kicks on Route 66"
MammawO, 09 Octobre 2017

Stayed one night. Free delicious breakfast at restaurant next door. Made accommodations for no pet room, clean, comfortable, friendly, although no elevator for 2nd floor rooms. Recommended & would stay there again.

"Best Hotel!!"
Sue M, 02 Octobre 2017

This was a VERY comfortable and nice hotel. Usually, the pet friendly hotels we stay at are lower quality places. This was a great experience. We had a room that had carpet, clean walls, nice furniture, and a comfortable bed. Loved it.

"Comfortable stay but railroad noisy"
Steval75, 24 Septembre 2017

Stayed one night...friendly receptionist...nice clean large room with parking outside. Noise from the railroad all night so best to avoid rooms on that side. We ate at the nearby Waggon Wheel....great place...recommended

"Nice Surprise"
658lyl, 23 Septembre 2017

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. We had a good experience with our stay. The room was modest but clean and the staff was friendly. I just wished they had rooms inside their main building.

"Good for a stopover"
walkingforfun, 21 Septembre 2017

We stayed here enroute from the Grand Canyon to LA. It's a good stopver destination. Fairly standard rooms with all the usual amenities. Swimming pool too. The restaurant next door - The Giggling Cactus - came highly recommended but was disappointing. The same restaurant was the breakfast provider for the hotel. Breakfast was good.

"Nice choice in Needles, California"
michaelmW8512EU, 15 Septembre 2017

After spending time in the Tri-State area, we came back through Needles on the way home to Los Angeles. We had dinner in Laughlin, Nevada, bought cheap gas in Arizona, and stayed in California, all within a very short drivable distance. Our room was quite comfortable and very spacious. It was nicely decorated with comfortable bed and toiletry dispensers in the shower room. Breakfast was in the restaurant next door for which we received a voucher from the hotel. A nice overnight stop on the way home.

"Good Place to Stay in Needles"
benbJ80GQ, 11 Septembre 2017

The Best Western Colorado Inn is the Best place to stay in Needles CA. Rooms are clean, next door to a decent restaurant. Easy on/off Hwy location. Parking is well lighted. Air Conditioning works well.

"Over night stay"
markpbighemi, 10 Septembre 2017

After lot of driving myself and good friend decided to stop for the night we had no plan and no reservations the check in staff especially Jenna where very helpful and engaging in conversation for a welcoming experience.

"Nice Hot Night in Needles"
marlam908, 08 Septembre 2017

This is a nice little place in the middle of the desert. The staff was VERY friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfy. It is right off of the highway, and the local restaurant is a great place to eat. Perfect if you just can't make it all the way to Vegas : )

"Passing Through"
DebbieR1956, 01 Septembre 2017

Stopped on our way home from Sequoia. First hotel we saw. Front desk gal was awesome! She even called up to our room to check if everything was good. The hotel is old but very clean. The bed is hard as a rock and the air conditioner is loud enough to keep you awake! I asked for the AAA rate and was charged $140. I checked after we checked in and that was the going rate on Expedia. Also all other hotels in town were under a $100. You do get a free breakfast at the restaurant next door but still over priced. On a side note if you can avoid getting gas in Needles you should! We got gas at a little town right outside of Sequoia for 3.49/gal, highest we had encountered in the state. Needles is $3.99/gal!!!!

"Clear Clear Comfortable"
sfguy12, 29 Août 2017

I always stay at this hotel when I'm driving from California to Arizona. I arrived very late at 1 a.m. which was not a problem they were expecting me. great standard hotel room with normal amenities. clean and comrort able room and bed. great location to jump back on the highway. quiet and clean.

"Super breakfast"
BossErpe-Belgium, 28 Août 2017

Very good Best Western but a bit pricy for a place like Needles. Super breakfast included in the restaurant next doors. Very friendly and helpful people at the reception. Fast and accurate check in and check out. Fridge and microwave in the room and the room was super clean. Good wifi and free parking. This seems to be a safe place.

"Great stay on route 66"
Bob G, 22 Août 2017

This is a perfectly run hotel. From management to staff, whether at the hotel or next door at the restaurant, just the nicest people all the time. Great price for what you get. We have stayed here for over 6 years straight during summer months. Just really well run hotel.

"Great value"
JenniKey, 19 Août 2017

Best Western right where we need it to provide extra sleeping for the whole crew spilling over from riverfront rental, PLUS free breakfast next door at Juicy's (can use the 'free' for a 20% discount on regular menu). Rooms are clean, well-appointed, management is friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

"An oasis in the desert"
Nguigmi, 13 Août 2017

We were on our way back home to Santa Fe from Sonoma, CA and Needles was a good stopping point. I always try to stay at a Best Western because of their high standards. As usual, the hotel did not disappoint. Large rooms with good-sized TV, great shower, comfy beds and pillows. Saw lots of people heading to the pool, which was open until 11:00 pm, but we did not use it. Restaurant next door for breakfast. This hotel won't disappoint.

"Hot days and warm nights"
D4357UZjohns, 13 Août 2017

The temperatures ranged close to 100 continuously and since we were travelling cross country it was important to get a good nights sleep. Although it was not cold in the room it was acceptable to get a reasonable nights rest so that we could get back on the road. It was quiet and reasonably comfortable with a pleasant staff.

"Never Again!"
williamaQ7052DD, 04 Août 2017

The worst hotel/motel experience I have ever had!! Would never stay there again. Most of my stays at Best Western have been good but this one was awful! I had made the reservation weeks ahead of time. It was 115 the day we arrived and no effort had been made to cool the room. The air conditioner could not cool the room down and the maintenance man said there was nothing he could do. The room wasn't well cleaned and it smelled. There was little water pressure and breakfast was at a near by restaurant and you were only given 3 choices. None of them good. We went elsewhere to eat.

"Marijuana Smell in Hotel Room"
atylanas, 04 Août 2017

Our hotel room smelled like marijuana and the restroom was worse. It was about 100 degrees that night and my family and I were exhausted from traveling. The last thing we expected was a room that smelled like marijuana. Not only that, the staff was not too empathetic. We were traveling with a 9 month old infant, and I am pregnant. Earlier that day I had called to inquire about cost, I was quoted one price, then when we arrived we had to pay more because they were "getting full for the night". Wish the staff would have been more straight forward about that.

"Needles, CA"
beth81301, 02 Août 2017

Great stay on our way to a family reunion! It was 117 degrees so the cool rooms were much appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast at restaurant by hotel were great. We have stayed here several times and it is consistently great.

"Best Hotel in Needles"
CalBusinessTraveler, 29 Juillet 2017

This is a very decent hotel. It is the only one I would consider staying at in Needles. It is nice that you get a free breakfast at the restaurant next door, but don't expect too much, it's pretty basic.

"Best hotel in Needles area"
maryhW9129LH, 28 Juillet 2017

Traveling alone between New Mexico, Arizona and California, I make it a point to stop at this hotel even though it would be more efficient to stop in Barstow or Tehachapi because I count on the Inn to be clean, friendly, comfortable and to feel safe there. It is a bit pricey but, in my opinion, worth it.

"Great stay!"
sharonhT5716ON, 24 Juillet 2017

Stay was great, clean and comfy room!! - I was travelling with my dog and we both felt really welcome!! The doggie pottie area was clean and enclosed. Front desk staff were friendly and speedy to get us in and out without any hassle. Internet & breakfast included were great - Ok places to eat close to hotel. Great location just off I40 - great route 66 souveniers

"The Oldun in Needles"
The0ldun, 23 Juillet 2017

If you have to stay in this area, this Hotel is probably as good as you will get. The rooms are clean, unfortunately, our shower head was incorrectly installed, so that it was impossible to get out of the way of the spray, to apply the shower gel, hopefully this is a one off. There was little to recommend the adjoining Restaurant, our meals were poorly described and weren't very good, overcooked fish and soggy chips and parmesan coated vegitables. The manager, who was extremely disturbed by the situation, attempted to redeem the situation, by providing some better cooked fish, and "uncontaminated" vegitables, but unfortunately the appetite had gone. There was a train track at the rear of the hotel, we were at the rear!

"traveling"
jamiehZ6876SZ, 19 Juillet 2017

Was very tired at the point of checking in so I don't recall much other than being able to easily check in and get to my room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Slept very well and when I woke up I had my breakfast voucher. Not many options at the place they do breakfast with for free but not bad either.

"A Gem in the Desert"
Sherri A, 10 Juillet 2017

We did not know what to expect from a hotel in Needles, but it was great. We stopped on our way from the Grand Canyon to Orange County. The pool was refreshing and we met people from out of state and out of the country. The room was comfortable and the AC worked great.

"Extremely spacious room"
ClareBG65, 09 Juillet 2017

Had booked family room with two queen beds - room we had was extremely spacious inc lounge area. Not sure if all family rooms are this large (room 201) - very comfortable, had a great night sleep! A little noisy from traffic until mid-evening but not noticeable after that. Very friendly helpful staff.

"Excellent Hotel"
donaldhI9265YK, 08 Juillet 2017

Room was excellent. However, $149.00 per night was high as compared to other Best Western Hotels across country. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was neat/clean. Temperature upon arrival in Neetles, CA was 118*F

"Nice reprieve from the heat"
Dianna430, 04 Juillet 2017

Unfortunately our truck broke down in the Mojave. On the upside we were able to find this hotel and they had vacancies. We sincerely appreciate that they are dog friendly! There is a lovely little lobby where you can purchase various items, from gifts to sundries. You'll also find good coffee and fresh popped popcorn in the lobby as well. The pool is refreshing and the seating areas surrounding the pool are all comfortable. The room was adequate and had the amenities one would need for an overnight stay. The staff was friendly. The only reason I didn't give more stars? 180-something dollars a night! I felt the price was a bit high for a Best Western. We would return, if we broke down in the desert again.

"NIce stop on Route 66!"
gennapride, 01 Juillet 2017

Traveling through the desert and ready for a rest I found this place online and booked it! I was very pleased with the hotel! The front desk had tons of Route 66 treasures as well as some birds in a cage. :) The people at the desk were very nice. The room was clean and pleasant. The air conditioning was great! We enjoyed our stay. The voucher for breakfast at the restaurant next door was nice as well. Great place for a stop!

"thanks goodness it has GREAT air-conditioning!!!"
The_Hobes, 30 Juin 2017

nice hotel, typical Best Western. had all the amenities, huge flat-screen TV, fast WiFi, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, work desk, coffee maker etc. VERY comfy bed. big bathroom. bathroom and bedroom both VERY clean. and on june 25, 2017 it was 122F in Needles but my room was nice and cool!!!!! but it was pricy for out in the boondocks in the small town of Needles.....

"Needles Best Western Stay"
Jason L, 26 Juin 2017

Hotel was very clean and all amenities were in good working order. Hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. The appearance of the hotel was very welcoming and clean. The breakfast was hosted by the restaurant next door and had a few different options. Overall my stay for the night was very relaxing.

"Good stay"
notwaitingtoretire, 19 Juin 2017

The front check in has a very nice, yet small, Route 66 gift shop. Helpful staff and clean room. The dog area was well kept too. In Needles CA I highly recommend this hotel as other cheaper choices are really bad.

"Traveling Stopover"
H783WJmichaels, 19 Juin 2017

Despite my own scheduling error with a reservation, Keith took care of me, got a decent rate and even set me up for the return trip the following week. Very comfortable, nice facilities, convenient restaurants for meals.

"Nice"
Catherine W, 16 Juin 2017

Good stop on our cross-country trip. Very friendly & professional staff at check-in. Room was good, basic BW. Refrigerator had freezer compartment which is a big plus while traveling through these hot southern states. Felt location was good, no highway noise. We were given vouchers for breakfast at the restaurant next door. The 3 free selections listed were limited as compared to other offerings at other BWs. However, if ordering from the restaurant menu, we received 20% off.

"Best place to stay in Needles, CA"
Anthony R, 15 Juin 2017

Have stayed here 3 or 4 times over the last 3 or 4 years. Our annual "River" trip. Staff is great, you feel safe, rooms are always clean. we have stay in many other hotels in Needles, Ca and this is the best. A free breakfast next door is a nice bonus...not fancy but nice.

"BW Needles"
donaldl712, 14 Juin 2017

Hotel itself is good but suffers from location - between railway and freeway and next to lorry park - not a good location. Needles is not an inspiring town. breakfast is in adjacent cafe - lacks amvbience

"Great"
sherryp194, 13 Juin 2017

This was a great hotel. Loved the atmosphere at night by the pool. So cool. Beds were comfy too. I would stay here again. It was different at breakfast but we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were kind.

"Great hotel"
User, 08 Juin 2017

Last minute stop on our way to the Grand Canyon. Right off Interstate 40. Beautiful pool area and the rooms were standard, but well kept. Bathroom was small, but again, clean. The lobby serves hot coffee and ice cold water. You can purchase Route 66 souvenirs too. Extremely pleased with our stay.

"Friendly"
Stephanie M, 08 Juin 2017

The Best Western hotel is the only hotel I stay at in Needles,Ca because the staff are always friendly and smiling! The beds are comfortable and rooms are always clean! The outside of the bulilding is well kept and maintained and I love the pool area!

"comfortable stay"
janetwD4535YD, 07 Juin 2017

clean and comfortable motel with friendly staff! Restaurant next door gives discount to guests and a free breakfast. The pool was a welcome treat from the desert drive and hot weather. We have stayed here in the past and will stay again on future travels.

"Good Place to Stay"
Donald J, 05 Juin 2017

The Best Western Colorado River Inn, in Needles, CA was a good place to spend a couple of nights. We had a 2-queen size beds room that was comfortable and had sufficient room to place luggage and other items that needed to come in from the outdoor heat. The bathroom was somewhat small as you had to move around the toilet in order to close the door. It was nice the hotel had shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispenser. Much better than trying to open shampoo/conditioner bottles. Fro breakfast you go next door to the Juicy's Famous River Café. Best Western gives a couple of options that are free, however, if you desire to order off the menu, then you need to pay for the meal. The breakfast we had (option 1 on the card) was very good.

"Best hotel so far"
Dianne K, 01 Juin 2017

Been doing Route 66 and booking accom as we went. Half way thru we realised Best Western usually ticked all our boxes, and this one especially ticked "All" the boxes. Large room to spread out, can park at front door to unload (not cart luggage up stairs into the hotel down narrow corridors. Room clean, wifi, amazing pool area (today hit 100), love the soap dispensers - great for the environment (so if you like rooms where you take all those packets of soaps then don't stay here as they are being environmentally conscious and helping towards less landfill). It's the second hotel where we received a phone call upon settling in to see if everything was ok or if they could help with anything! Great customer service by Keith who also gladly changed our room from upstairs to down without complaint. And the restaurant right next door was brilliant, great selection and service. Loved the idea of having breakfast paid for here instead of in hotel - great initiative.

"Everything you want of a roadside motel"
peterbP1033CP, 27 Mai 2017

We arrived without a reservation around 8pm and the room they gave us was excellent. Lots of space, clean, very comfortable bed, friendly and attentive staff and all the facilities we could need. Good price, too. Just what we needed after a 500 mile drive. Thank you.

"Good value for money"
Mayanr, 27 Mai 2017

We stayed at this motel on our way from Los Angeles to the Grand Canyon, and it was a good middle spot in between. The motel was a good value for what we paid, and nothing more. A nice place to put our head at night. We ate breakfast at a nearby diner, which you get discount for in the motel, which is located on the mythological route 66. Walking outside at night wasn't such a nice experience, but was the only way to get some food. Bed and shower were ok, fairly clean. It's a good place to stop on the road, if you need to sleep somewhere.

"A very good place to stay"
TravelGal_Munich, 23 Mai 2017

Not that there are many other options - of the 4 motels/inns that GoogleMaps list, one has burnt down, one closed down, one looked seriously dodgy, and the remaining one (still going strong) was the Colorado River Inn. All that said, we were very happy and satisfied with our stay - the Reception staff was very nice and welcoming, the room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom facilities were spotless. There is not much to do in Needles, which is slowly dying, but there is a nice restaurant/diner, just across the road from the hotel, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner (you get a discount, if you are staying at the Colorado River Inn). All in all - a nice and enjoyable stay.

"Only place to stay in a run down town"
Paul L, 20 Mai 2017

Stay for one night while going to the Grand Canyon. Never thought of such a scene of ruins. After dining in the only Chinese restaurant there we tried to drive through this part of the town. Only after 2 minutes I was told to drive back to Best Western because all other passengers in the car said they didn't want to see a run down town like that.

"ok place to stay for a stopover in Needles, but pricey"
swissmiss001, 18 Mai 2017

We stayed here one night on a road trip to California. Check-in was easy, we had a ground floor room and were able to park right in front of our room which was convenient for unloading. The room was clean, comfortable, good sized, and had everything we needed including a refrigerator and microwave. Furnishings were about what we would expect for a 2.5 star motel. Coffee maker was a discount one, but at least we could make a cup in the room. We were given a discount coupon for Juicy's, the adjacent restaurant, and we had dinner there. We had the ribs which were good, but not exceptional. A free breakfast at Juicy's was also included in the price of the room with 3 things to choose from. We had the omelet with hash browns and a biscuit. The serving was enormous, but tasted rather blah. In conclusion, this was a good choice for a night in Needles as it appeared to be one of the nicer hotels. However, we've stayed at nicer hotels for $149.59 a night.

"Small town, great hotel"
Janelle H, 17 Mai 2017

I was concerned about the town of Needles being small with only a small selection of lodging. The Best Western Colorado River Inn was perfect. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and checked in efficiently. Our Desk person (a former Aussie) was very professional. He spent extra time helping us with a request. there is cute Route 66 items in the lobby, a beautiful pool area with a fire pit going, Had a ground floor King Suite. (larger room with a couch) Nice and clean. Good lighting. Not sure about the bed yet, it seems a bit firm for me (a nice fluffy mattress topper would have been ideal) but time will tell. Bathroom is tiny, but the shower was hot and a nice forceful flow to the shower head. Great that there were two suitcase racks. Parking in front of your room, so no long hauls through a hotel. Breakfast is served a few steps from the Hotel at a restaurant next door. We went there for dinner and received a 10% discount because we were a hotel guest. I would definitely stay here again.

"Clean, Convenient, Comfortable, and Close to Many Activities"
Carolyn L, 17 Mai 2017

We stayed in a King Suite which had a couch, chair, and coffee table. The small refrigerator came in handy since we prepared our sandwiches before setting out to explore Mohave National Preserve. There were six pillows on the bed - which meant we did not have to ask for extras. We were traveling with our son and his family so we made good use of the pool and hot tub at the end of the day. The motel is conveniently located just off I-40 which eliminates having to pass through Needles where road construction has resulted in a confusing mess of detours. TIP: Buy gasoline just across the river in Arizona (Arizona Arco = $2.18, Needles gas+ $3.79)

"Nice, neat and clean"
Katey B, 17 Mai 2017

Don't let the lobby fool you - you've come to a decent place. The lobby is full of Route 66 stuff and memorabilia - cluttered to say the least. But the room is what you need and the nearby restaurant which offers gratis breakfast is surprisingly okay. The sheets could use an overhaul but the room has everything you need for a motel in the middle of nowhere. There is just a hint at an effort to cover up what used to be a smoking hotel. But our stay was okay and comfortable.

"Very Nice Motel To Stay At"
Rayburn9, 14 Mai 2017

The Best Western in Needles is a great place to stay. Very nice desk help and they got us into our rooms very quickly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable with a good choice of pillows. We had a nice and quiet sleep. We have stayed here before and we will stay here again when we are in the area. The motel gives you coupon for breakfast at the restaurant next door and the restaurant is a very good place to eat.

"Best Western Colorado Inn"
TKirksey, 09 Mai 2017

We enjoyed our stay with you. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. Would definitely recommend it. The pool and hot tub were nice with a very nice decor! The room was very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast next door at Jucey's was very good, an original restaurant on Route 66.

"We'll stay again!"
carln695, 07 Mai 2017

This motel is very comfortable and very clean. It's An older style on first appearance outside but that didn't matter after we checked in. The staff we dealt with were friendly and courteous. Parking close & easy. We will definitely stay again.

"Best in Town"
davidgL7208FK, 06 Mai 2017

Stayed here on our way back home, after a long and tiring day. Met by very accommodating friendly staff. Quickly checked in to a very nice comfortable room. Included breakfast next door was great. Will definitely stay here again, and recommend to others as well.

"Probably the best hotel in town"
dustinc4412016, 05 Mai 2017

We only stayed one night on our way to someplace else, but the staff was friendly and helpful; the hotel was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped; and the free breakfast at Juicy's was good. We ate dinner at Juicy's too and enjoyed it.

"Pleasantly Surprised"
Sam K, 20 Avril 2017

For reference my stay was during the first week of April and included my teenage son. I did not book it but did note that my Aunt was charged approximately $98/night with fees. *** For being located around so many rundown hotels/motels and businesses nearby this was really a pleasant surprise. *** The hotel - Located right off the 95/40 and close to the railroad tracks (which run all night). Not too bad, can it use some updating, sure but it's a Best Western. It has a coffee/tea station in the lobby/gift shop along with a complimentary popcorn machine. There is also plenty of vending machines ($$) and ice machines (free) and a pool that was heated to 83 (which seems warm even though it was 90 out). We found a card in the restroom of the room that stated if we forgot something we can contact the front desk, they have more toiletries available. I am unsure if they offered other items for free or not since we had everything we needed. The room - For $98 not too impressed. It was a normal room, 2 clean beds (nice sized), dresser, table w/ 2 chairs etc. Also had low budget coffee machine, microwave and cable (a lot of you need to subscribe for this channel). The shower had a 3-1 dispenser for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. and plenty of towels. Dinning - Being a Best Western our room came with complimentary breakfast that was offered at the adjacent restaurant "Juicy's." We were given 1 of 3 choices with our voucher - Cereal, Parfait or a ham and cheese omelet with a biscuit. I like Juicy's but none of these items would be something that I would normally order. A voucher for a certain $ amount would have been more helpful if not offering a continental breakfast. Free activities - We did not use the pool while there. It was hot outside but we were informed that the pool was still heated to 83 degrees since it was not May yet. Staff - They were awesome. Check in and out was quick and easy. The nice lady (I think her name was Sam) even called after we go into our room to make sure it was up to our standards :) . All in all the only reason this is a 3 instead of a 5 is because I have stayed in better hotels for cheaper. For the area they are fantastic but in general just average.

"Friendly staff"
G155NTjeana, 17 Avril 2017

From booking through checkout, staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. They even called the room after we arrived to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. We ate at the adjacent restaurant and were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of the food.

"Price gouging for ground floor room"
Fritzikay, 17 Avril 2017

I was booked at a Best Western in Barstow, Ca for $80. Decided to get to Needle, Ca. The web said $102. Front desk charged $135 for a ground floor room. Price grouging. Only book this property online.

"Very Good Stay"

Clean and comfortable. Well-appointed. A bit old school with the outdoor parking and exterior stair cases (it's along Old Route 66 after all). The desk staff was pleasant and efficient. Maid service impeccable. Everything as advertised. Even the guests seemed above average, if I do say so myself :-). There are at least three sit-down restaurants within easy walking distance. The trains rumble along nearby, but they don't blow their horns. In fact, they lulled me to sleep.

"Always good service!"
Happily-Retired4344, 04 Avril 2017

This motel is consistently an excellent place to stay when in Needles, with helpful, friendly staff, clean rooms, and good rates. This stay did not disappoint us, still the same good service and great place to stay.

"stayed there again"
ustravelgirl22, 30 Mars 2017

I spent another night at the Best Western last ma, just 7 monthlater and It was great again! I am a tour operator from german an the hotel is also one of our best seeling hotels out west for motorcycle groups

"Great stay and friendly staff"
Lucille D, 29 Mars 2017

Stayed during a road trip to New Mexico. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Free breakfast is offered at diner next to hotel. Convenient for lunch and dinner also, so we didn't have to get in the car to find a restaurant. Meals at the diner were very good.

"Clean and comfortable room"
astegen2016, 26 Mars 2017

The room was clean and comfortable, very quiet, staff was pleasant, and the bed was very comfortable. TV had lots of channels (DISH). Wifi was strong, and breakfast was excellent at the cafe next door. I would stay here again.

"Best, Best Western"
M7594DOpaulab, 18 Novembre 2016

This is an Oasis along a dusty long drive! Coming from Oregon for a family birthday celebration! Love this motel: clean, fresh, excellent amenities, breakfast provided at a restaurant and beautiful grounds.

"Overnight stay"
Debbie S, 15 Novembre 2016

Hotel is easy to access, clean and very quiet. A voucher is given for breakfast at cafe across parking lot. Room was quiet and well maintained. Internet was quick. Hotel staff friendly and very professional

"No Complaints"
Glenn S, 15 Novembre 2016

I hate writing two hundred words. That is ridiculous! I like the motel, easy off and on to the highway. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah ablah blah blah double blah triple blah, quadruple blah quintuple blah. That is all.

"A notch below a typical BW"
dennis l, 08 Novembre 2016

This hotel is more like a 1970s motel. Two floors and stairs. Grounds and the building are a bit dingy. We drove cross country and stayed in six hotels of several brands and this hotel was not only the worst but the most expensive. However, there is not much to choose from in Needles.

"Beg Bugs Came Home with Us!!!"
Roberta M, 07 Novembre 2016

We stayed at two Best Westerns in a row, one night each. We arrived home with bed bugs for the first time in our life!!! The time, money, energy, medical bills, physical suffering to combat these pests gives me great pause as to why any chain such as this would allow these creatures.

"Great stopover"
JayeEngland, 07 Novembre 2016

This was the third destination on my trip across the US, where I stayed for one night – please see my other reviews: The Mirage, Las Vegas, and the Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn, Tusayan. I flew out to Las Vegas with Virgin Atlantic from Manchester, UK and then picked up a rental car after four nights in Vegas. My party consisted of two adults and one teenager aged 17. On arrival at this hotel, we were greeted by a very nice and helpful man who explained everything to us and gave us vouchers for complimentary breakfasts at the café next door. The hotel rooms here are set in a motel style and our room was a good size with two large double beds. There was a wash basin at the far end of the room and a separate room with a shower and toilet. There was also a coffee machine, microwave and fridge in the room. Everything was clean and appeared to be well maintained. There was a train line nearby, and when a train first came by it sounded quite loud. However, we never heard any more noise after that and it was nice and quiet during the night. There was also plenty of free parking. There was also a coffee machine in reception and a small, but lovely little pool area, which looked great when it was lit up at night! It all looked very clean and we sat out there for a little while in the evening and early in the morning before we left. Complimentary pool towels are also available at reception. It was very hot in Needles while we were there. We had both our evening meal and breakfast at the café next door (Juicy's River Cafe). Both the food and staff were great! We enjoyed our overnight stop in the desert and would use this hotel again if we were visiting the area in the future – would recommend!

"Great value, clean, super friendly, convenient"
Bret J, 06 Novembre 2016

Very friendly staff. Nice beds, linens and clean room. Nice flat screen. Super convenient for our trek across AZ on i40. Free bfast too at next door homey diner. Absolutely recommended! Tesla charger very close.

"Clean and well appointed"
BobandJan66, 26 Octobre 2016

A nice clean room, with all the amenities you'd expect from a mid-range hotel, at a mid-range price. Nice sized flat screen TV with DirecTV service, wifi that works well, lots of towels and tissues, and comfortable beds. Ice and snack machines in the lobby. An outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna were nice additions to this hotel. By the pool there are padded lounging chairs and tables, set up near fire pits and flames for warmth in the evenings. Nice touch! No breakfast here (coffee avail. in the lobby), but discount coupons are available for Juicy's River Cafe next door where we had a nice dinner and breakfast.

"Pet Friendly, Clean & Comfortable"
k2d2California, 24 Octobre 2016

We stayed 1 night in this hotel with our large dog. There was a small fenced-in pet area where our dog could be off leash. Staff was friendly, room was clean and the 2 Queen beds were comfortable. The hotel partners with the restaurant next door; Juicy's Famous River Cafe, for discounts on dinner and complimentary breakfast vouchers. The food was adequate and did the job. The temperature was in the high 90s so we stayed inside and kept the air conditioner on in our room. Our room faced the nearby railroad tracks but the noise from the trains was not too loud, especially with the air conditioner going. We would stay here again as a stopover place for future travels.

"The Best Western that is certainly NOT the best..."
pd7, 19 Octobre 2016

Stayed here one night during a 23 days Route 66 trip through 9 states...and this was the worst hotel of the tour. There were 2 towels each, both thin, rough and smelling of chlorine (clearly "fresh" from the pool). Very small, lumpy pillows. Staff peremptory/brusque/curt at check-in. Worst breakfast arrangement of our trip - you have to go to the restaurant next door with your paper slip which allows you about a quarter of a normal breakfast. You can have a coffee OR a tea OR a juice (no refills). You can have oatmeal OR toast OR eggs. The restaurant has a full selection that you can choose from and pay more for but even Days Inn/Sleep Inn/Econo Lodge breakfasts are FAR better than this. AVOID this hotel - there's got to be better in Needles!

"decent but overpriced"
U7466RXlarryl, 17 Octobre 2016

decent place, clean, everything works, ample parking, "free" breakfast at moderately overpriced restaurant next door. could be $20 cheaper if you didn't have to pay for the "free" breakfast. HINT: if you haven't reserved in advance, sit in the parking lot and reserve a room through the best western website and save $30.

"Schoon hotel"
Laura d, 16 Octobre 2016

We were friendly and the room was lovely and cool upon arrival. It was that that extremely hot according to the staff. The room was clean and spacious, fresh. Free Wi-Fi Internet access included The Laundry washer and dryer were present around the corner in the hallway. Dinner was fine in the restaurant The breakfast was included, further on. tasty and good, but very little. Also on advice from our travel company Amerika2go.

"Beds are worn out"
Randy M, 15 Octobre 2016

Beds need to be replaced. The staff were very nice. Location for my purpose was good and Juice's restaurant was very good. If I would have slept better I think this would have been a great place to stay. The mattresses are extremely worn out.

"Best Western Needles"
Mary W, 14 Octobre 2016

I travel between San Diego and Cortez, Colorado. I break up the trip home by staying at this Best Western in Needles, CA. I feel safe here as I am traveling alone. The rooms are clean, neat and roomy, and for me the bed is just right. The people are always friendly and accommodating. I will continue to stay here when I travel between San Diego and Cortez.

"Good Clean Rooms"
Perry W, 01 Octobre 2016

A very good motel for a stopover on Route 66. Good Breakfast on offer with clean good sized rooms. Parking close by room and walking distance to restaurant. Friendly staff only to happy to help, wifi good. Pool was clean and refreshing after a hot day on the bike.

"Great place to stay in Needles, CA when you are traveling on interstate 40"
BarbaraLung, 28 Septembre 2016

We stayed here coming and going from our trip to Sedona. The rooms are adequate, very clean, and not a lot of noise from outside. We liked the fact that breakfast was provided at a small restaurant next door. Also, they welcome our pet poodle.

"Adequate for a stopover"
GarethSage, 27 Septembre 2016

I selected the hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews, which I found pretty accurate. The hotel is basic and clean (although the lobby DOES pong of cigarette smoke). It is good for the price range. The breakfast at Juicys was OK.

"Stop for the night on our way to Sedona"
Warner G, 26 Septembre 2016

The checkin was fast and the desk personnel very courteous. The room was very clean. The pool area looked good but we didn't use it. There is a restaurant next door that will give you a 10% discount with your room key. It has very good food and a full service bar. The free breakfast is at this restaurant. Very close to I40 with easy on-off ramps.

"Excellent"
Tinsut, 21 Septembre 2016

Second Night on Route 66 and 2nd Best Western Hotel, Room Immaculate and the free breakfast was amazing buffet style but everything hot, you did have the option of cold breakfast - cereal - yogurts - fruit if you wanted.

"Fall 2016"
Bob G, 20 Septembre 2016

This hotel is by far the best value for the money. The staff is outstanding and professional. We stay at this same hotel each time we go to Needles, CA during our summer river trips. The set up with the complimentary breakfasts can't be beat. A very nice place to stay.

"Good stopover"
Christine M, 19 Septembre 2016

We had a large executive room which was great, the bed was really comfortable and the air con worked well. Having Juicy's Famous River Cafe next door is brilliant - we had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and the service was great. We did not have time to get to the pool but it looked great.

"Standard room, awesome pool"
Haley C, 19 Septembre 2016

The room is what you'd expect. It was clean and the bed was big. They must have recently updated the pool because it was awesome. We walked next door to the gas station a got a beer and then soaked in the pool and hot tub as the sun went down. It was very enjoyable. Only issue we had was with booking. We booked through a third party and they said they had two queens which is what we needed and booked and then when we got there they refused us that room and made 3 of us stay in a king bed room. Other than that great stay in Needles, ca.

"quiet, comfortable, convenient"
kathrynb143, 18 Septembre 2016

Spent the night here without advanced reservations, since our schedule was unpredictable. The only room left was a "luxury suite" on the second floor. the room was VERY nice and quiet. HOWEVER, there is no elevator and no one to help with luggage so hauling it up to the second floor was exhausting at the end of a long day of driving. We were on a longer road trip, so we had heavy bags. The parking available to us was convenient to the room, but not where we felt good about leaving our valuables in the car overnight...backside in the dark. On the positive note, the desk staff were quite pleasant, and the lobby was cute and had things for people who are tourists to buy, or browse. Not a place to sit...more like a gift shop lobby. And, the breakfast is a voucher to the restaurant next door. We opted to eat one of the free meals rather than take the 20% discount, and it was delicious. The wait staff were all friendly.

"One of the better BWs"
gemido, 16 Septembre 2016

After a while you can pick a good hotel quite quickly. The lobby is clean and interesting. The check-in staff are helpful and friendly and the room is everything you expect and more. What is more there is a restaurant on-site where breakfast is served and it is delicious scrambled eggs. Laundry and pool both good. You only downside those stupid square pillows.

"Not A Winner, But It Will Do"
Weezie415, 10 Septembre 2016

We passed through Needles on our way home from Arizona to Northern California. You usually can't go wrong staying at a Best Western, but this was not one of those times. We feared the other options might be worse, so we stayed. The lobby smelled like smoke from people who smoke near the lobby entrance, I suppose. It is supposed to be a 100% non-smoking hotel, but upon entering our room, it was obvious that someone had smoked in the room at some point. The rooms are beginning to show their age. On the plus side, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked great. The free breakfast is at the restaurant across the parking lot. You get one of two breakfast options. Neither the breakfast nor the coffee is very good. Option 1 was scrambled eggs w/diced ham in it (overcooked), hashbrowns (just OK), and a biscuit (awful).

"A nice place to be...."
Brentwood_Resort, 08 Septembre 2016

Stopped here on our travels along route 66 Friendly staff Nice room but could do with updating Breakfast in the restaurant next door. Scrambled egg , hash brown and beverage was just OK. Overall it was clean and generally a nice place to stay.

"A/C was not on but other than that thumbs up"
T9810AProbing, 31 Août 2016

I've stayed at this hotel several times on my way into Pirate's Cove. It's very convenient and I like being able to eat at the restaurant for breakfast. The pool is also nice. My only complaint was that the air condition was not turned on when we arrived and it was HOT! It also took a long time for the room to cool off once we turned it on. Other than that, I've never had a problem and I'm sure I'll be back.

"Great Stay!"
lindagY9364PH, 31 Août 2016

The room was very clean and pleasant; bed was comfy, too! The staff was so nice and helpful and assisted us with our travel needs. I especially liked the breakfast amenities; not the usual continential fare.

"Family trip"
Four2Score, 29 Août 2016

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western on the Co River. Two adults, 2 kids & one dog. While a lot of places state they are 'dog friendly' this is the first time that I actually think they meant it! We were able to walk our dog anywhere without any issues. Nice little dog run area is fenced off with dog baggies for clean up. Very nice pool area enjoyed by the kids & adults. Staff was very friendly. Cute gift shop with a variety of things to look over. Will most likely return here again.

"Best Option in Needles"
KakalinaW, 25 Août 2016

Clean hotel, friendly staff, and free breakfast at the restaurant next door. A/C worked great, which is a MUST for this hot city. The room was spacious and had a fridge and microwave, along with free internet. I would stay here again if I HAD to visit Needles. (Not my city of choice, lol)

"Could do better"
Randy M, 24 Août 2016

Staff was awesome and Hotel overall was very clean. The mattress was horrible and needed replacement. I even switched rooms in an attempt to find a better one but the next one was worse. I barely slept due to being uncomfortable.

"Great place for a last minute stay"
hua_and_grace, 24 Août 2016

Hotel was nice. Exterior looked like any typical exterior-hallway hotel. However, I believe the interior walls are of higher quality as we experienced no extraneous noises or sounds, despite being in an adjoining room. Reviews complained of train sounds. We chose the side away from the train tracks. Breakfast was offered at the restaurant next door. You only get 3 options, so breakfast could be better. It appears all the hotel/motels in this area offer breakfast at a diner next door. Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi was great. It was a bit pricey at $119/night at a last minute booking...considering Red Roof Inn's newly renovated rooms were going for $65...and they were just down the street...

"Lovely oasis in the desert"
car0linemb, 23 Août 2016

We stayed overnight here on a road trip from Phoenix to SF in August (yes, we are insane, drove Mohave in August.) I was a little hesitant about Needles overall, but this hotel was lovely. Pool was great, front desk staff was friendly, and I really felt like I was on vacation. In the middle of nowhere. Great safe hotel.

"help in Needles"
Nedra R, 21 Août 2016

We came in late and got the lasts room we were very grateful for all the help from everyone there. It was very hot we were rushing to get home and they helped us in every way. Keith was helpful with us on the phone and also helped us get a extension cord for our Cpak machine.

"Needles, California Best Western"
Kathryne H, 17 Août 2016

Nice place to stay and it was clean and cool. Easy access to the motel. Nice restaurant next to the motel. Employees are friendly and acknowledgeable about the area. This survey keeps asking me to add more information!

"This is the "best" in town?"
Debbie P, 12 Août 2016

This hotel was suggested to me as the best place to stay in Needles. I don't want to see the worst. My room was smelly, (stale smoke smell, but a non-smoking room, smelled like urine in places, too) dated, very uncomfortable bed, way over-priced--Suggest staying in Kingman instead, even though about an hour away.

"Great Access to all Directions"
Daniel M, 03 Août 2016

I am a bi-yearly visitor at this Best Western. It was recently remodeled and has a really nice pool area and BBQ setup I did not see one person using in the 111* F heat. Let's go over the whole experience. Reservations were made through the Best Western reservation number and not directly with the hotel. The rate was considerably cheaper. During checkout after 4 nights the desk wanted to know how we got that rate and we told them. They said they don't honor those reservation rates, but took them anyway. That was odd. We had arrived a little early in the day. Rooms were not ready which is not uncommon. The lounge area was very comfortable and the desk help was very accommodating and pleasant. We eventually checked in but were not able to get the room area we had requested (which is not guaranteed). The room was fine, but on the "back-side". Now if you make a reservation at this hotel, try to get a room on the west side away from the train tracks. The train noise was not hideous but clearly very loud at 2:30 AM, 3:00 AM, 3:30 AM , etc. through the morning as they prepared to depart on there cross country travel. Housekeeping was interesting. Rooms were very nice and prepared for us. We had one day where we just needed towels and had to go get them ourselves, and another day we wanted the room made up and didn't get that upon our return. We inquired and got some story about "we had a do not disturb sign on the door". Well, couldn't be because when we left someone had taken it off and we actually had to get another one. We were told there were a lot of complaints like this and that the two regular girls were off and this was temp help. OK. Enough excuses. Its easy to get a better system in place and some quality control here. The Direct TV channels available were LA feed which surprised me and were very good. A plus. This hotel provides a free breakfast with a card you pick up at "Juicy's River Café" next door. Super nice folks in there. Choice of 3 items--typical scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, toast or yogurt and granola, or a couple of boxes of cereal and a carafe of milk. We were also offered a 20% discount on any item we ordered from the menu. We were very happy with the standard offering which were plentiful and tasty. There is also a number of fast food places nearby and gas stations with service and a Circle K next to the hotel for some quick snacks. So to wrap this up, I do recommend the stay here but remember it is in Needles with a lot of river boaters there for the good freeway access to travel to your destinations.

"Great stop for rail fans"
Martin B, 02 Août 2016

I am a rail-fan and visit the Mojave desert on a regular base for watching trains. This hotel is a favorite of mine for those trips. I appreciate that the staff gave me rooms that faced the track as requested. Seems they did some upgrades to the rooms. Still basic but I like it! The breakfast arrangement is good as well. Way better than the usual offer with continental bf on site.

"Best in Needles"
sherrym684, 01 Août 2016

This is the best lodging in Needles Ca. For the area, I think the cost is a little high. We have stayed several times with our two little dogs as well as family. The place is very clean and beds are comfortable. The pool area is nice, has a fire pit (not needed during our trip being that it was 108 degrees). You get a free breakfast at the restaurant next door (We did not use) however we did get dinners to go and ate in the room. The hotel is very convenient to the river and freeway access. Two launch ramps within 1 mile. Don't get gas until you cross the river and AZ about a mile (You save on avg. $1.30 per gallon)

"Best Western review"
cathyd164, 31 Juillet 2016

Great stay!!! have stayed there before. In fact our day was spend outside Kingman and we traveled back every night just to stay here. The rooms are extremely clean and spacious. The service is great with a darling lobby and Route 66 goodies to purchase, Next door was 7-eleven which was super convenient. Will definitely stay again!

"Good Location"
Randall R, 30 Juillet 2016

Very good place to stay on those hot desert days in that area. It was 118° the day I stayed there and it was nice haveing a pool and a local resturaunt with lounge in the same parking lot. Not having to stay out in the heat too long.

"A clean, well run Inn with a bit of local flavor..."
california-steve, 27 Juillet 2016

A good roadtrip rest point if you are heading east and south from California (or returning). This is a good jumping off location to explore the old Route 66. The restaurant next door, which serves breakfast for the Inn friendly and economical. The AC works well in the rooms (which is important).

"Hot! Not a hit!"
nealjill, 25 Juillet 2016

It was 116 degrees but our room was still hot. The AC didn't keep up. The room was clean but the lobby smelled of smoke. The breakfast was included but at the restaurant across lot, it was good, 3 choices of plates. The shampoo and conditioner were in wall mounted dispensers

"Great stay on our Route66 trip"
Samuli S, 22 Juillet 2016

Arrived to the motel after long drive expecting very little, but this turned out to be a great stop! They had very nice service staff, good clean rooms and especially beautiful outdoor pool (live fires and palms as decoration) which our kids enjoyed a lot. Added plus for a breakfast which was served in a restaurant next door, not typical lobby coffee and cereals. Just get your fueltank filled before Needles, fuel prices are horrible!

"Last Minute Decision"
Patricia H, 21 Juillet 2016

We had booked a hotel in Laughlin and it was NOT what we were led to believe from their website. Too tired to drive home, we went to Needles in search of an affordable overnight stay. Excellent service, only 2 rooms left, both handicapped King. The gal that checked us in was patient, professional, kind and efficient. The best! The lobby was pretty chaotic with lots of folks moving about. Room met our needs and budget. Great breakfast included in restaurant next door.

"Has an enclosed, graveled dog bathroom area with baggies and garbage!!!"
joni2182, 19 Juillet 2016

This hotel is fine for traveling across country. Clean, bed was decent, had nice soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers etc. Includes a small fridge and microwave, and coffee maker - but what I have to tell all my fellow "traveling with dogs" friends - OMG!!! The nicest doggie doodoo area I've seen!! They put in a nice sized, fenced gravel area with a lovely bench and a doggie doodoo pick up station with baggies and a garbage. I was VERY impressed. Wonderful wonderful thing to see! There weren't giant piles of poo in little areas of grass like other hotels, that claim to be dog friendly. Why can't all dog friendly hotels do this? Loved it!!

"Wonderful hotel"
Barbara M, 12 Juillet 2016

This is our favorite Best Western Hotel, and we have stayed at many. They even have a dog area that is fenced in so you can have your dog off-leash. It is very clean and comfortable. There are two restaurants within walking distance and one (Juicys) has an area where you can have your dog with you.

"Top local management does make a difference! "
Tom L, 12 Juillet 2016

This is a fine example of how local management can make a difference! This is a well run BW franchise. Very friendly staff. Very helpful. What stands out is how tidy, clean and well maintenanced this place is. Pool area is very very clean. We stayed in room 202 which seemed to have a refurbished bathroom. Excellent stay and my congratulations to the local management and staff.

"Great Customer Service"
Tasiadoo, 10 Juillet 2016

We recently stayed here to and from our visit to the Grand Canyon. We asked for a suite, so we had two queen beds and a pull-out couch. The space was large, and had all the comforts: mini fridge, microwave, FREE internet, Cable, etc. One of the rooms we had was a little more updated, like a fancier shower, etc. But overall the place was clean and comfortable. On our return trip, our room was very warm. After calling maintenance and still not cooling down, we were given a new room with no hassle. I think they handled that situation professionally and it was appreciated. The lobby has some drinks and a popcorn machine, which was nice, and my family really enjoyed the pool and fire pit areas. Oh, and breakfast next door was good - and if you don't want what the hotel choices are, you get 20% off your order. I would definitely stay here again.

"Clean, comfortable rooms"
Colleen Y, 10 Juillet 2016

Convenient off the freeway, reasonably clean, standard amentities (microwave, refrig, cable TV, AC, tub/shower and GREAT/working showerhead). Nice pool. Price was a bit high, but there are not many choices in Needles. Definitely looked the best out of the other options we saw in town.

"Nice Oasis in the Desert"
Tiantian57, 09 Juillet 2016

This hotel is wonderful. The staff are polite and the place is very clean. Would highly recommend if you are going through Needles! On a side note: Not sure why the Review "requires" 200 or more characters...what's with that? Must not know about quality vs. quantity.

"Very Good, Comfortable and Well priced"
Milnthorp, 07 Juillet 2016

We stayed in a few Best Westerns on our trip and this was probably the best. Good sized rooms, comfortable bed and hot showers. We arrived late and it was an easy check in. Not the most picturesque you will go to by surprisingly quiet given its proximity to the freeway and railway line. Breakfast at Juicys over the road.

"Nice stay"
CARThompson, 07 Juillet 2016

This was a planned stop on our way to Florida. The temperature was 120 degrees as we got to the hotel. Fortunately the air conditioner worked extremely well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable as were the beds. The internet worked well enough. The hotel offered vouchers for a free breakfast next door which was good. For a discount you could choose something other than the free offerings. There was a train that would roll by occasionally but it did not keep us awake so it was not a problem. We would stay here again.

"Very good"
jflafond, 05 Juillet 2016

Very helpful and polite staff, great location on Rte 66, right by the highway. Arrived late for check-in and had no issues. Breakfast included at neighbour restaurant Juicy's. Clean pool, clean room, ample parking. Recommended.

"Very friendly and good"
Ralph M, 30 Juin 2016

Hotel personal very friendly, rooms okay. nice small pool. You feel welcome. The very best is the co-operation with Juicy's in the direct neighborhood. Apart from the very good dinner and breakfast I would like to point out the outstanding good waitresses! A real experience!

"Great service "
Littlepudge12, 27 Juin 2016

Rich was awesome. Pool and breakfast were awesome. Great stop ! Loved the popcorn ! On a very long roadtrip and this was a great stop. We would definately stop here again. Room was clean Quiet, and cool.

"Great place to stay in Needles"
Melinda C, 27 Juin 2016

I recently stayed at the Best Western Colorado River Inn for 4 days and it was a wonderful experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and always happy to help. They would go out of their way to help you. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the free breakfast was good. I would definitely stay at that hotel again.

"Great visit - great place... Loved it.."
KUMtngal, 27 Juin 2016

This place was wonderful...from the staff to the room to the pool area. The rooms are updated, and really nice.. The staff is absolutely great...super helpful and very, very nice... The pool area was extra perfect.. They have a nice fire pit at night, and it is very welcoming. Loved it.. We did not have any complaints about the breakfast..It is free..you really can't complain.. Am at BW now in Barstow, and this one DOES NOT compare to the Needles facility. Don't get me wrong...just loved the Needles one..... Highly recommend staying here. I accidently posted this on the Del Sol Inn, but TA hasn't changed it to this facility. This is where I stayed - not the Del Sol.

"Visiting family in Topock"
Tiffany H, 24 Juin 2016

Nice hotel right off the freeway. The roll away bed I ordered was already placed in the room which was nice. Breakfast was provided at the café next door and very tasty. The free popcorn and lemonade by the pool was a nice touch. I would stay here again.

"Hotel stay"
Richard C H, 24 Juin 2016

this hotel was an excellent choice especially for the price. Very comfortable beds, I was able to take a bath without the water draining out and the air conditioner worked very good in extremely hot weather. The pool and Jacuzzi were very relaxing. The room had more than enough towels for my liking. The complementary breakfast exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this and any best western to all my friends and relatives, I also spread the word at my place of employment.

"Great stay!"
Johnsonabq, 19 Juin 2016

Our stay here was very brief, however is pleasant. All the Best Western employees that I had dealings with were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door is where they send you the next morning for your free breakfast, your choice of three different items. We would definitely stay here again.

"Best hotel on the river or anywhere."
rtponce, 18 Juin 2016

This place was surprisingly very nice. The staff was awesome and very friendly. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The beds were so comfortable we slept like babies. And the free breakfast was so awesome with generous portions, did not expect that. Pool and spa was really nice, and the water was crystal clear, no fears for sanitation. We have a new faith for Best Western hotels.

"Well run hotel"
Andrew S, 18 Juin 2016

The outdoor pool and hot tub area was a big hit with the kids. Loved the decor with gas flames. Beds were the most comfy ever. Everything was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the adjacent Juicy's restaurant was good. Note, the gratuity is not included, so I had to ask them to charge me 3 cents to leave a tip on my credit card. I guess that's the only weird thing about this hotel is that breakfast is slightly off site.

"Convenient location, A/C and Tesla Supercharger"
Bill H, 15 Juin 2016

Tesla supercharger, 24x7 convenience store (with both a Subway and DQ ) located 200 yards away. Basic rooms - A/C Working fine - it was 117 when we arrived! Plenty of room for parking cars, trailers, and mobile homes. Breakfast coupons for Juicys river cafe in the adjacent parking lot.

"Needles"
JeanP3, 14 Juin 2016

I can't say enough good about this place. While traveling with my 2 brothers we had a minor accident at 2:00 a.m. finally towed to Needles (5:30) where we chose to go to the Best Western. This is the only point of complaint-where we were repeatedly told we should have called ahead. Luckily they had one room left (handicapped). We took it. Not sorry. Every other employee we have encountered has been more than friendly.helpful, accommodating, and courteous, even with all of the changes we went through with the car repairs. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our unplanned stay very much. The bed was comfortable, A.C.worked very well, thank goodness! WIFI also worked very well. Thank you.

"Great Stay In Needles, Calif."
Thomas P, 13 Juin 2016

Despite 12:30 am arrival, front desk staff were cheerful and very friendly. Room was well kept, neat and tidy. Did not have unpleasant smell to room that you sometimes encounter. Sleeping was easy. Bed very comfortable. Direct TV ? Cool. Coffee in lobby in morning was not weak although real creamer would be preferred. Overall, best choice for stay in Needles California. Will definitely be going there again.

"Hot? They've got great AC! And it's too far to Barstow tonight..."
jheyl, 08 Juin 2016

And average BW property, with a breakfast deal that includes freebie base meal at Juicy's next door--a family run diner-esque joint with basic American--, where the rest of the menu will entice you more than the freebie proferred. It was 108 at 9:30 at night when I crossed the Colorado River coming to Needles, but also well past my time to get off the road; I was grateful for the AC, the clean room, the pool, the welcoming management, and the primarily English-speaking staff. If you can make it to Barstow, there's a better BW there, with less costly rooms for Rewards members.

"Excellent Service"
Thomas S, 07 Juin 2016

Convenient location for a short stop, but not for a longer vocational stay. The surroundings is dominated by business and commercial units. Pool area nicely updated, clean and modern. The service is great with a lot of included items. Rooms are kind of outdated, but in good shape and clean. Air conditioning was working great, however quite noisy.

"Good hotel, very poor breakfast"
Xavier0988, 03 Juin 2016

We went on a road trip (june 2016) and booked all our hotels via Best Western: Inglewood (LA) -> Palm Springs -> Needles -> Grand Canyon -> Page -> Bryce Canyon -> Zion -> Las Vegas -> Mammoth Lakes -> Yosemite -> San Fransisco -> Santa Maria -> Inglewood. We were very friendly welcomed by the receptionist. We had a large room with a very comfortable bed and pillows, bathroom was rather basic (so far in every hotel, seems to be a trademark of BW). There was a good airconditioning system and a refrigerator with little freezer, what is interesting because of the high temperatures. There is a nice swimming pool with extra cool drinks and popcorn for guests. Free wifi with good connection was available and there was no extra charge for parking space. We choose for breakfast with the reservation. We received a voucher that we could use in the restaurant next to the hotel (Juicy's Famous River Cafe). Although we also went there for diner (this was fine), we were very disappointed in the breakfast. With our voucher we could choose between a scrambled egg OR cereals OR some fruit with yoghurt -> apart from the limited choice, the portions where too small. We were told that we could choose something else from the menu with 20% discount, but in my opinion that's not what you expect when you reserve breakfast in a 3-star BW hotel.

"No real problems"
Dennis M, 02 Juin 2016

We found the bathroom to be a bit small. Given coupons to eat 2 meals next door At Juicys which was ok with nice staff but prefer a continental in the hotel. No elevator so can be a bit tough for some people.

"Route 66"
Richard B, 01 Juin 2016

This was the best Best Western hotel I ever experienced. The rooms were updated and very clean. Comfortable bed. The pool, hot tub and spa area was outstanding. The complimentary breakfast was served at a restaurant next door. Though the menu was limited the quality of the food was good. Not the usual breakfast bar as in other "free breakfast" hotels.

"First Class"
Mick B, 29 Mai 2016

Hotel and staff are first class, both are very much there to ensure that your stay is as required. First class from the moment we drove into hotel to the moment we left. Good to see old fashioned customer service at its best

"Decent place, average breakfast included "
ChristianErnstsen, 28 Mai 2016

We stayed one night here. The rooms are nice and clean, with the sink and mirror in the main room and toilet and shower separate. The AC is very noisy. Staff is very kind. The breakfast was sort of boring, but ok. If you need to avoid dairy products you have only one option from the three on your coupon.

"Not bad at all, clean and good pool area"
Dr Jane W, 28 Mai 2016

Route 66 stopover A very good stop over considering it was basically the middle of nowhere, this is the #1 in Needles as there are approx 6 hotels! Room ok, train is EXTREMELY noisy. When we first heard it we thought a Lear jet was flying over, no joke! We asked for a room on the non-train side but he said there were not any and the train was not that noisy anyway. He has clearly got used to it. Having said that we slept well and we heard nothing in the nght which is the important point. The pool and jacuzzi are a great addition, pool was freezing, jacuzzi was boiling! Breakfast next door was bland and horrid but hubby ate it all. You can buy of the menu for 20% reduction. Just note that when it states bacon and egg free this is scrambled egg with a few tiny pieces of bacon in it.

"Extremely comfortable"
Violet M, 25 Mai 2016

We stayed at this hotel during our Route 66 trip and this was almost the last hotel we stayed at. We were really pleased with its location as we liked the quiet atmosphere around it, super big and comfortable bed, fast wireless and discreet staff. Very goood food and drinks at a Juicy's restaurant next door, where we also had breakfast, which was complimentary from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay there.

"Nicest place we've seen in Needles"
Mike R, 24 Mai 2016

The Best Western Colorado River Inn was is new condition, very clean and has easy access to Hwy. 40. The employees were very friendly and efficient. Instead of a continental breakfast at the motel they gave us credits to the restaurant next door and we could have our choice of three breakfasts (which were very good). I would stay there again.

"river weekend"
Jeffrey R, 23 Mai 2016

clean, close to everything you need for a weekend river trip, an actual breakfast or discounts given at the adjacent restaurant (included in hotel room rate). We also liked the soap/shampoo/cond dispensers in the bathrooms and shower; no tiny bottles that get you half done.

"Best hotel in Needles"
RLG-AZ, 21 Mai 2016

This hotel is well maintained and a good choice. It's clearly the best in town. It was close to the railroad tracks a couple hundred yards away, but the A/C fan was good white noise to muffle the sound of the trains. The service was excellent.

"$130 room total rip"
campercarl2015, 19 Mai 2016

We've stayed here at least four tmes previously and payed less than $100. We were tired and paid anyway. The manager was insistant that rigfht across the Colorado River from Needles, where the Colorado is located, not five miles away in Arizona, the prices were the same as "THE SEASON" was underway and prices are high everywhere. BUT, next morning we went for gas across the river in AZ and NO, the prices were much lower for gas AND motels. Gas went from $3.79 a gallon to $2.13 and motel prices were similarly lower. Do not be tricked by such sleezy (manager w/ British accent) salesmen. When in Needles, find your wauy across the river toward Bullhead City AZ. You don't have to go far, not all the way to Bullhead (20 miles), to get way better prices.

"Weekend stay"
sherirv, 18 Mai 2016

Our family stayed in their RV at Pirates Cove. We didnt own one and they didnt haveone to rent. So we stayed here. We were very pleased. The price was great. We were going to bring my little dog but decided at the last min. to leave her home. This place does allow pets. We will stay again and mext time bring my dog. Very nice service and resturant right next door.

"Best place to stay in Needles!"
Sally G, 17 Mai 2016

Decent room, clean bathroom facilities & nice pool area. Mini fridge in the room plus a sitting area. Only complaint would be the rather loud Air conditioner otherwise noise wasn't an issue. Restaurant next door (Juicy's) is associated so they offer a discount on meals & 3 free breakfast options for hotel guests. Right on Route 66!!

"I always stay here"
Irene D, 17 Mai 2016

This is my go to hotel when I'm traveling through on the way to Arizona. I wouldn't consider any where else. The staff is friendly and the room is comfortable. The breakfast is next door at Juicys River Cafe. I always eat there for dinner too.

"An Oasis by the River"
Bent1906, 17 Mai 2016

If you are passing through or need a place to stay while visiting the area I would highly recommend BWCRI Needles. We came for a Memorial and were so pleasantly surprised at the quality and care we received. I would stay here again.

"dog friendly pn a trip"
Tim P, 13 Mai 2016

On the way home tired needed a bed .pool .dog friendly Stayed be for clean. very friendly dark haired girl/ lost her name) front desk clerk nice hot tub and pool .discount to Juicy restaurant good beds and a little dog park very nice a little pricy but worth it

"Clean Clean Clean"
Tina M, 12 Mai 2016

This is the best place to stay if you're in Needles. You receive a voucher for a free breakfast next door, the pool is new and relaxing, the rooms smell clean, and the beds are clean, fresh, and comfortable.

"A truly pleasant stay"
Primo54, 09 Mai 2016

Everything was a step up from what you would expect of a motel in a small desert town. Beds were comfortable, especially if you like soft support. Grounds were tasteful. General all-round cleanliness. Quiet. And a caring staff.

"A Gem in Needles, CA"
Clarissa M, 27 Avril 2016

We needed a hotel for the night and found a gem in Needles, CA. The hotel staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The restaurant next to the hotel featured tasty food and friendly staff. The room was clean, functional and met all of our needs.

"Great Experience"
Terri S, 27 Avril 2016

We stayed at BW in Needles, Ca. on the way to the Grand Canyon, then again on the way back. Wow, we really appreciated how now nice it was... it really was first-rate for a "travel hotel.". Also, the free breafast at the restaurant next door was great too. Tip... be sure to ask them at check-in to check for better pricing on their corporate web site... it saved us over $20 a night.

"Excellent stay"
Allen S, 24 Avril 2016

The Best Western Hotel building was clean and the check in staff was helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Equally helpful was the check out staff. The room was very nice and clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the beds and received a good nights sleep. The breakfast was served in a place right next door so you do have to walk outside to get to breakfast and if it is raining, you have to deal with the elements.

"Usual stay"
Travis H, 21 Avril 2016

I stay here every time I come through to three Rivers area. They out class all other Hotels in Needles. The desk people were helpful and the Restaurant above average, and friendly. I will definitely be back.

""Best Stay for Needles""
Kit S, 21 Avril 2016

Love this place, love the front desk staff, so very kind, friendly and accommodating. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in town. I have to travel to Needles once a month for business and look forward to being greeted by the staff at this locations.

"Stopped for the night"
Valorie C, 19 Avril 2016

I'm not a fan of hotels with doors on the exterior, but we needed a good place to stay which was pet friendly. The employees made the stay as nice as possible. They were very friendly and professional. The room was an older style, but still clean. The included breakfast the next morning at Juicy's was a good experience as well. Food was good. Staff very cheerful, even at 6:30 a.m.

"Spacious room"
colinwY9034NI, 14 Avril 2016

If you are in the Needles area this is the place to stay, clean, comfortable, great staff and our room was very, very spacious. We were driving route 66 and considered Needles a great spot to stay after leaving LA as we wanted a good start to the drive to Flagstaff on the original old road - we were not disappointed, excellent accommodation.

"Noisy"
Sandra M, 13 Avril 2016

If you come here stay on the west side! Non stop train noise on the east! Had to leave AC on to drown out train noise. No buffet at hotel, must go next door to their restaurant, Cereal and Juice or scrambled eggs and ham are complementary, otherwise order from menu from restaurant with card get 20% off $10.00 breakfast. Note in room said to please leave gratuity. Ordered dinner the night before to go and Ruben Sandwich was good. Nice fenced area for dogs.

"Best Western Motel"
L2123FFmaryk, 12 Avril 2016

We were looking for a motel and the Best Western looked like a clean and safe place to stay...The price was on the high side for a winter rate in this area....The people working there are very nice and the rooms are very nice and very clean...We felt safe and we loved the breakfast .... I would recommend staying here to anyone, just think the price should be lower...

"Nice and Clean"
M H, 11 Avril 2016

The rooms were nice and clean. The bathroom has soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Very helpful people in the office. They don't have a breakfast area but you still get a free breakfast at the restaurant next door plus a discount for your evening meal. The food is amazing. Nice comfortable bed and quiet. I would recommend this place to anyone.

"Road Trip to a Funeral"
Robert E, 10 Avril 2016

I chose to stay at this Best Western, because I know that it is clean, secure, and the parking is well lit. I have stayed here twice before. There is a mediocre breakfast included in the higher rate compared to the other hotels in the area.

"Good place to stop"
delyn35, 09 Avril 2016

Very clean and update hotel. This place is on old route 66, kinda cool. Nice pool and outside area. The people at the desk are very nice and helpful. The restraurant next door is pretty good too. This is a good choice for an overnight stop.

"Not the best value for your dollar"
Michelle B, 09 Avril 2016

I'm not saying this is not a good hotel, it is. However, for the price I paid, I think it was only average. The best thing about the hotel is that it is pet-friendly, and I needed that, so I paid the room rate. If I hadn't had pets with me, I would have shopped around a bit more. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. They have a nice program set up with the next door restaurant (not a Denny's) where you can get a percentage off the tab if you are a guest. I would be likely to recommend this hotel if I felt money were not a concern for the potential guest.

"Awesome Hotel"
Teresa N, 04 Avril 2016

Stayed here 3 nights and did not have any issues. I prefer staying on ground level floor related to my age and hauling stuff up the stairs. Internet is awesome. Breakfast at Juicy's (included) is great. No complaints. Train tracks are close by, but did not keep us up at night. Great Chinese restraunt down the road as well as Juicy's next door. Gas in AZ (just 2-3 miles away is much cheaper!!)

"Updated and clean"
Johnson F, 04 Avril 2016

Clean, updated furnishings, fine for a night or two. My husband and I were picking up a new truck and we were just passing through. Didn't have a very restful night due to hard bed and train close by. The staff was great and we didn't have any problems but I thought the price was high considering it was a motel with outside entrance and we were concerned about the safety of our vehicle.

"Decent average BW property"
K W, 03 Avril 2016

Good beds, average value (priced a little high for the season), clean. Just very middle of the road Best Western. Breakfast was the high point. Served next door at a nice restaurant with great service. Lots of semi truck noise from the adjoining parking lot and truck stop.

"Class Reunion in Needles"
johngY9983BS, 25 Mars 2016

A well kept property that we have stayed in before. Over the last several years this hotel has been well maintained and remains the nicest hotel in Needles. The adjacent Juices restaurant and breakfast arrangement with the hotel is excellent.

"Disappointing "
Lyn C, 24 Mars 2016

I didn't appreciate being nagged at about stealing towels. It was everywhere. Then there was the Alpo in the refrigerator. Not mine! The room itself was ok, but stairs are difficult with bad knees. The included breakfast was served at the restaurant next door. That was very tasty.

"Very clean and Nice staff!!"
Martha S, 23 Mars 2016

I loved the breakfast at Juicy's (next door cafe) I had the eggs benedict and the eggs was cooked to perfection. The hotel was clean and very comfortable, the decor was was a little dated and the train noise woke me up during the night...If I ever stay there again I will put on some "white noise" to keep it a non issue. Perfect for staying close to Laughlin without staying in a casino hotel. Not something that I would have taken my wife tho!

"Great place to stay in Needles"
Redland, 20 Mars 2016

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay! Smaller rooms than I am used to but very clean and comfortable. The staff were all excellent and the pool area and hot tub were exceptional. Absolutely beautiful at night with the gas fire pits. When I inquired about if alcohol was allowed at the pool they indicate why sure and that there was a party store in the gas station next door. Great gift shop for Route 66 stuff and other Southwest collectibles. I will definitely stay there the next trip to Needles.

"Best Western Overnite"
Joe S, 19 Mars 2016

This Best Western is clean and convenient. The décor is a bit dated, but that does not affect the stay. The adjacent restaurant, Juicie's, is excellent and should be visited. DO NOT buy gas in California...go across the river and buy at the AM-PM. Needles is 3.19 per gallon, across the river is 1.47 per gallon!!!

"Bad night of sleep"
Rodney R, 18 Mars 2016

Very noisy, bad night and no sleep. trains running all night, garbage truck banging dumpster out side room at 4:30am, noisy construction trucks and drivers at 3:30am. Did not get but about 2 hours sleep, got up and left at 5am because I gave up on getting any sleep because of all the noise. Would not recommend this motel to anyone if the wish to get any sleep. Room was clean and neat, only positive note.

"Great experience"
John G, 14 Mars 2016

From Australia we thank you for making our trip great with helpful service clean rooms.Would stay again. We had additional room requirements all of which were met on no notice.Staff presented very well courteous efficient and appeared to be the best choice in town. I would recommend this motel to anyone considering a trip through this area

"Great Hotel"
Sam W, 12 Mars 2016

Really good accommodations with a great restaurant next door. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Parking lot well lit and felt safe. Wifi was strong and un interrupted. Absolutely beautiful pool. This hotel was in a good area of town

"An oasis!"
Kate S, 05 Mars 2016

This place represents excellent value for money! It was good spacious and clean rooms and the staff are unbelievably helpful and polite. I cannot recommend this stay enough! We had been driving for seven hours when we found this place, we were able to check in hassle-free, and relax in the spa, pool and sauna area. Wow!

"Hidden Gem"
Daniel M, 01 Mars 2016

Great hotel I was very surprised as how at the quality , the rooms were very clean. The Bed was comfortable and the Pillows were Great usually the pillows suck. The pool area was very Good and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to any one passing through or stay in the night in the city

"Best staff of any hotel or reseort hotel"
Lynda B, 29 Février 2016

The staff at this Best Western are the best of any hotel chain, and resort hotel, I have ever visited, and an asset to the company. I cannot say enough good about Keith, Aidee and Ty. They were all professional, helpful, and made me feel like a treasured guest. So I can assume that they treat everyone the same. All were knowledgeable of the history of the area and gave me directions to historic and interesting sites. I loved how the lobby was set up and the garden out front too. I spent some time in the garden to unwind after flight and drive down. If at all possible, aside from business travel, I intend to return and stay at the BW Colorado River Inn for a vacation. Thank you BW Colorado River Inn for such a great stay, though short. Ty, Keith and Aidee are great assets to your company!

"I enjoyed it so much, I added another night!"
JayDay2001, 23 Février 2016

The Best Western Colorado River Inn is an excellent stop after a long journey across the desert. This hotel and adjacent restaurant (Juicy's) has completely changed my opinion of Needles. I was on a solo trip following Route 66 and the old Santa Fe Railroad and wanted to stay in a hotel with a view of the railroad tracks. Although you can see the tracks from the back of the hotel, the noise is not too bad. Full Disclosure: I wanted the view and the noise so I may be a bit biased. If in doubt, stay on the front (North) side of the hotel. They say "First Impressions are the best impressions" and the lobby of this hotel proves that out. The front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming. The lobby has displays of Route 66 memorabilia and Route 66 items for sale. There is a popcorn maker, TV and comfortable couch if you just want to relax and listen to the parakeets . Thats's right, they have parakeets in the lobby! Very soothing after a long hot drive. The pool and spa area were very inviting. There is also a gas bbq grill and outdoor kitchen area. I don't usually go in the pool and spa at hotels by myself but I made an exception here and I am glad I did. Even in February the pool is warm enough for a quick swim but then right back into the hot tub. Finally, to the room: As I mentioned earlier, I requested a room on the back facing the tracks. I was rewarded with a near constant parade of trains. The noise should not be that bad as the tracks are probably 100-150 yards away. The room was very clean and equipped with table, chairs, fridge, microwave, flatscreen tv and plenty of hangers and places to put your clothes. The bathroom wasn't huge but since the sink and counter space were in the room, it made up for the small room for the toilet and bath/shower. The soap, shampoo and hand lotion are dispensed from a fixture on the wall, a neat feature if you ask me as it reduces waste. Finally, the best item on the list: Instead of a boring old continental breakfast bar, Colorado River Inn offers a meal voucher at Juicy's Famous River Cafe right next door. There are three breakfast options included with your stay or you can pick any breakfast item off the menu and receive a 20% discount. I had Option 1 on both days which consists of scrambled eggs with diced ham and cheese, biscuit, hashbrowns and a drink (I had orange juice). There was plenty of food and the hostess treated me just like a regular. As I stated in the title, "I liked it so much, I added another night." I was on a relaxing solo trip with no particular place to be so I added another night and stayed for another great day. I look forward to returning to The Best Western Colorado River Inn very soon. **I will cover the restaurant in an upcoming review**

"A non-smoking hotel? I don't think so"
altoonagal, 20 Février 2016

This should have been a comfortable stay in decent hotel. The first hint of trouble was walking into the lobby and being hit with the stink of cigarette smoke. Combined with the Harley gear for sale, I felt for a moment like I was in a biker bar. We went to our room which was clean and attractive. Everything was fine at first, then our room seemed to fill with smoke. I looked outside to see if someone was smoking near our room, but could see or hear no one nearby. We closed the door and window, but it didn't help. We kept experiencing smoke on and off all evening. I finally complained. The young woman at the desk apologized and offered to discount our room which I accepted as the only satisfaction I was likely to get. The hotel did have some pluses that were overshadowed by the problems. They have an attractive pool area with gas fire and pretty lighting. The diner next door served good food. The free breakfast selection at the diner was pretty limited compared to buffet breakfasts, but it was made to order and we didn't have to eat in the smoky lobby. If was obvious in the morning that after my complaint someone had sprayed air freshener to cover the lobby smoke.

"Happy"
Dottie G, 18 Février 2016

Happy with the room. The bed was comfortable, clean. Bathroom extra clean. Shampoo and soap dispenser was stocked and very convienant. Microwave, refridgerator, tv, table, air conditioning unit all worked great! I will be staying here again.

"Best Western a good bet!"
Gloria G, 04 Février 2016

Nice place to stay. Front desk people friendly. Room was clean and ample. Be aware that there are trains that run on the hour so ask for a room facing the front for less noise. It was not very loud but you knew they were rolling by.

"All this and parakeets too"
akbadger, 29 Janvier 2016

This motel is what one would expect from Best Western. It is very clean, and very comfortable. Everything works properly, and there is plenty of warm water. I was also very please with the courteous help at the desk. The motel does not provide breakfast, but it does provide a coupon good at Juicy's next door which is good for either a) one particular breakfast free or b) a substantial discount on any other breakfast. That's a very nice addition, as Juicy's was a good place to eat breakfast. I liked the framed Charlie Brown cartoons on the walls, the one with Snoopy's brother Spike who lives in Needles in a cactus. I'd forgotten all about him. The thing I really loved though was the very large cage of parakeets in the lounge opposite the front desk. I must have spent an hour sitting on the sofa talking to the budgies. This may be a little thing, but it really made my day.

"Good option in Needles"
pdxjohn2013, 28 Janvier 2016

Juicy's Cafe next door is very good for both Breakfast and Dinner. Hotel can be a bit noisy due to thin walls, and train noise. Best to request room on the East facing (non train track) side. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff.

"River Stay"
Denise H, 26 Janvier 2016

Very nice Hotel, Very Nice Host, Very much recommend others to stay there. We were robbed at the hotel in Erindale because they have no cameras in the back of the hotel and conveniently enough told us to park our truck back in that area. By 2 AM everything we had in the truck was gone. No help from the hotel host.

"Clean and quite"
jasonbb1301, 21 Janvier 2016

Stayed here for 2 nights and was surprised how nice this hotel is especially you you see all the other hotels in this town. Beds are comfortable and right next door to restaurant with bar. Water pressure is great compared to most hotels and they have soap, shampoo and lotion dispensers

"Bring ear plugs!"
harmonybythesea, 21 Janvier 2016

This is a standard Best Western in a convenient location for travelers. However, unbeknownst to me upon booking, the railroad tracks are very close, which vastly altered the quality of rest for the night. The staff were quite friendly and check in was fast and efficient.

"Highly Recommends"
C B, 18 Janvier 2016

Very Clean Hotel; the man who checked us in was very helpful, nice & polite. Laundry Room Facilities were Very Clean & well maintained. Rebecca with House keeping does a Great Job making the rooms look presentable. The Restaurant next door (Juicy's) has excellent food. The Hotel gives you vouchers to eat a complimentary breakfast at Juicy's. Only Cons were Very Hard Beds & Workers for the RR wake up around 4 am & are VERY Loud. Other than that; this is the Hotel I would recommend in Needles, CA.

"GREAT Value!"
etcetera_sue, 18 Janvier 2016

Our group had three rooms. Everyone was very satisfied with everything. We will definitely go back. The breakfast was also good. The rooms are extremely clean! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Best value going.

"Breakfast at this facility."
S1901NAgaryc, 09 Janvier 2016

Breakfast was not in house. I was given a choice of three different items at a café near the facility. Food there was neither filling or very good in taste. Other than the breakfast issue this hotel has great rooms, quite area except for the railroad being so close which had some usage during the night. The staff were very helpful in helping me park my vehicle and the 22ft utility trailer I pull behind it. The allowed me to park in front of the lobby where the trailer would be safer since it is full of valuable products.

"Somewhat noisy; good dog area"
NAC321, 04 Janvier 2016

We were very pleased with the service at the front desk and found the room and bathroom adequate to our needs. If you're traveling with an infant, this place is okay -- they will issue a pack'n'play for a deposit. There's also a small fenced area for dogs, which is nice. Our main problem with the place was noisy slamming doors (they open to the outside), which kept our baby up late. A more minor concern was that the lobby was decorated with scantily clad women (among other Route 66 memorabilia), which made us think maybe this hotel wasn't aiming at families.

"Surprised In Needles"
Y7398WCdavidt, 02 Janvier 2016

Ya figure a hotel next to the freeway in Needles, CA would be kinda blah. Well, this hotel proved otherwise. It was a pleasure. Staff were welcoming and extremely pleasant and the room was clean and comfortable. Dining at the restaurant steps away next door, was a treat!

"Very friendly staff and a great place to stop"
Jackie D, 29 Décembre 2015

We arrived to very welcoming staff who went out of their way to give us a nice ground floor room wit parking right outside of the door for us. The room was clean, tidy comfortable with all you need for the night stay we had there. •Complimentary Breakfast •Microwave •Refrigerator •Hairdryer •Coffee/tea maker. WE loved the fact that it had guest laundry facility at $1.00 as we had been on the road for 10 days and need to freshen up some of our clothes. The evening meal in Juicy's next door was nice and no high prices on the menu. The breakfast was plentiful and pleasant staff there to help also next door I Juicy's. The only down side was the walk from the hotel to Juicy's for your meals was a bit awkward as it slopes down to the road from the hotel then up to Juicys. The pavement is all broken up so you have to mind your step and with a wheelchair it can be a bit of a danger to both the chair user and the carer. So be mindful of this if you want to stay here and have a wheelchair user.

"Christmas in Needles"
Catherine G, 28 Décembre 2015

I was moving cross country from Austin to San Jose. I stopped at the Colorado River Inn on Christmas Eve with my 8 month old Golden Retriever. We were both a bit travel weary but were warmly greeted by the staff and family at this really cool spot. I cannot say enough about how well we were welcomed. It did not take me long to book an additional day, equals Christmas, for a much needed rest. The little dog park is over the top cool, and Juicy's Restaurant also welcomed the furry one with open arms. I will be sure to stay there again, and suggest you do the same if in the area! Top Notch!

"Comfortable, spacious accomodation "
Taj543, 27 Décembre 2015

We stopped at this motel overnight, enroute to the Grand Canyon. After a long day driving, we found it to be clean, comfortable and spacious. We were warmly greeted by a young man who was quick to check us in and was very clear with explanations. We literally fell into our beds and woke up early to head through the gate to Juicy's diner. The breakfast is a choice of three options: A). Scrambled eggs with diced ham, hash brown, breakfast biscuit & beverage B). Cereal or oatmeal and beverage C). Yoghurt, granola, fresh fruit & beverage. Between the five of us, all of the three options were ordered and all were great. The service was fantastic so we left a small tip. Very happy with our accomodation and breakfast.

"First Class with Reasonable Rates"
Gina S, 23 Décembre 2015

Our room had recently been renovated. The headboard was attractive and the color scheme is fresh. The lauded deep tub made it difficult for me to get out without help. Another grab bar would help. The outside pool was closed. Loved the Christmas decorations and appreciated the friendly staff. You are given 3 choices for breakfast at the place across the parking lot. If you pick something else, then you get a discount instead.

"Nicest Place in Needles, CA!"
Mary J, 22 Décembre 2015

A very comfortable stay on our long-haul journey. The manager was very friendly and called the room to make sure everything was okay after we got settled in. No breakfast service, but you get a voucher at the good diner next door. We were in a hurry so we skipped it, but very convenient on and off the freeway. For those travelers who love Route 66, this would be the place to stay!

"Quirky, cool Needles motel"
jeffl390, 16 Décembre 2015

There's something quirky and cool about the River Inn in Needles, a mellow Route 66 vibe and the cafe attached to the motel makes the stop over worth it especially. Once I left my backpack in at the cafe and didn't realize it until I was back in LA. They mailed it safe and intact the next day, for free! I love the sense of peace and being away from daily life when I stay at this motel. I love the lobby, the pool, the surrounding desert hillsides. Great place.

"Dog friendly"
Darlene D, 16 Décembre 2015

When I am looking for a dog friendly place to stay I look thru the reviews of the hotels on TripAdvisor. TripAdvisor has always been accurate with reviews. I can always count on best western for a good experience, good nite sleep,to make the family ready for the next day. Breakfast is a plus. It eliminates you driving around looking for a place to eat.

"Needles and thr trains"
thomas r, 05 Décembre 2015

It was an ok place, with a marginal restaurant featuring trains going by all night. Needles was the only place around so we stayed their but probably will not ever end up their again. Don't get on the back side of the hotel by the tracks!

"stop over"
Debra E, 24 Novembre 2015

this is a great place to stay with perfect accommodations and good meals without having to leave the property. They have a great little dog park even for our pet. There is easy on/off access to the freeway and very convenient.

"Over Night Stay With our Large Horse trailer and colt on board."
rocking40ranch, 22 Novembre 2015

We delivered a colt to a buyer in Chino Valley, Arizona. We have a very large trailer (40 foot) most of it horse area, so we opened it up for him as a large stall and needed a place to stay where we could be close enough to the trailer to check on him. The staff at this Best Western directed us to a well light truck parking area adjacent to the fence of the property. In addition, they moved our room reservation to a room where we could just look out the window or go to the balcony to check on the trailer. In addition, they said the local police would make regular trips through that area. As we were locking down the trailer and getting ready to go back to the room, A Sheriff's unit drove by and waved. I don't know if the staff called or not, but, we definitely slept better knowing where we were placed. As to the rooms, very clean and comfortable, a nd as I said, great front desk staff! One was also a horse owner in the past. Top it off with the Wagon Wheel restaurant right across the street, it was a good night and a great start to the day.

"tired room"
MyJesy, 13 Novembre 2015

Our room was supposed to be a suite. It was simply a room with a bar fridge & microwave oven. Very disappointed. Very small room. Very pricey. Very much in need of real pillows. The size was like a small sofa cushion. Stay again...absolutely not. The 2 stars are for the staff, Very friendly!

"Great value for the price"
Jeff L, 13 Novembre 2015

It seems that many motels in the Needles, CA area rate very low for a number of reasons. The Best Western was the highest rated in the area and after staying there I can see why. The staff was very friendly and engaging and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. When we travel back to that area next year, we know exactly where we will be staying!

"Very Nice Hotel"
Deep G, 11 Novembre 2015

I like this hotel a lot. Good Bed, Good Staff and Good breakfast. Also free internet. On the next day I paid $28 for Internet at Ballys! What a joke! I really like the staff at reception. Very nice, smart and caring.

"Clean, comfortable, friendly"
Sonja B, 11 Novembre 2015

This Best Western hotel was an excellent choice for us. We were following the Route 66 and it was in the right place with dinner and breakfast very close by. Our stay was most enjoyable and the staff was helpful and friendly.

"Friendly staff, clean room, complimentary wifi and a printer in lobby."
vlcnwoman, 08 Novembre 2015

I arrived late at night on a business trip. The two front desk employees, one a manager and one a trainee, were warm and friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. This is a clean, comfortable property and I would recommend it for a business stay. Breakfast next door also included, great!

"A tidy and comfortable hotel, ideal for touring Mojave"
VicMar1066, 05 Novembre 2015

We stayed 3 nights in October. An ideal base for touring the Mojave Desert and into Arizona. Very comfortable room. At first we were concerned about the vicinity of the railway. Not a problem, we didn't hear a thing!. Great Diner next door with discounts from Best Western. Ideal for a great breakfast and evening meal.

"semi-annual stay"
marbernjake, 03 Novembre 2015

We always book this hotel on our way south and north! Pet-friendly,convenient location, nice staff, breakfast next door,we have never had a concern here. PS.Needles has the most expensive gas prices anywhere on our trip!

"A Great Night in Needles"
686gregoryp, 27 Octobre 2015

The Best Western Colorado Inn was a great stop on my travels from California back to Tennessee. The front desk staff was great, there was loads of parking and the room was older but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was offered at the restaurant next door but because of schedule I didn't have time to take them up on their offer but it would have been hot and fresh. The pool area looked nice and refreshing but I didn't have time to swim, only to look.

"Leisure Trip"
Bernd B, 26 Octobre 2015

Very pleased with this hotel and location. Great restaurant part of the hotel with very good meals - 3 breakfast choices were very acceptable and each one to be recommended. Professional staff. Highly to recommend

"Good place to stop"
Priscilla G, 23 Octobre 2015

Very clean, quite, easy to get to. Good place to stop on way to Grand Canyon, Phoenix, or Sedona, and Flagstaff. Breakfast right next door at cafe called Jucy's. Friendly staff. They called to make sure everything was to our liking.

"wonderful stay"
Sussanna D, 21 Octobre 2015

We were driving very late. It was a godsend that Best Western had a room available. The people were friendly. the price was perfect and the room was very clean and comfortable. We all slept very well.

"Fort Mojave Gathering"
Linda O, 20 Octobre 2015

We are a small group from Morongo Band of Indians in Banning Ca and we were Bird Singing and Dancing. We travel all over and we all were very impressed by your Hotel, Thank you Your hospitality and customer service was Awesome!

"Nice Stopover Motel"
Leslie B, 16 Octobre 2015

We stayed one night to break up the driving of an eight hour trip. The front desk help was very nice and efficient. The room was lovely and clean. Hearing the trains at night is the only reason I didn't give the motel 5 stars. The breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was very good. We really liked having the choice of a really hot breakfast, rather than the lukewarm food that you usually get in a hotel buffet.

"Visiting Needles, California"
Tom S, 16 Octobre 2015

This place is a real gem in a unassuming location. It is very well cared for with superior staffing and modern, clean and stylish accommodations. I would not only stay here again, but would highly recommend it to my friends, clients and professional peers.

"Great desert experience"
Vickie R, 16 Octobre 2015

Good location in Needles. A very comfortable and charming place to stay. Being right next door to a nice restaurant was an unexpected bonus. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to friends and family.

"Great place - wonderfull poolarea"
Dorte Ø, 15 Octobre 2015

Stopped for just one night. Nice and clean room, comfy beds and extremely helpfull staff. The pool area was the best we have seen so far. Especially when it is dark and the fireplaces are lit. Breakfast could have been with more options.

"Best place in Needles, CA"
Walter C, 12 Octobre 2015

Looked at several hotels/motels in Needles, CA and all but this one did not look inviting or as though they were thriving. This hotel grounds, the building and the lobby clearly indicated that this location was doing well and well maintained with high standards. The room was clean and comfortable, the WiFi worked well, the bath was well lit and the bed was comfortable. They offer a complimentary breakfast and an adjacent restaurant that was tasty and well presented. For many travelers, Needles, CA is a pass through place where most guests stop for one night. This hotel and the next door restaurant provide a comfortable and pleasant stay.

"Be sure to have ear plugs."
Don M, 12 Octobre 2015

was told that train noise would not be a problem. " wrong". fortunately we had ear plugs with us. When we realized that train tracks were nearby.I asked for a different location,.Was told that none were available.

"Consistent Best Western to count on"

"Clean, Quiet, Friendly"
Mayburrito, 10 Octobre 2015

This new motel in the Mojave Desert is right off Interstate 40 on the outskirts of town for a good night's sleep. It's across the street from the good old-time favorite Wagon Wheel steakhouse and Juicy's River Cafe for a hearty Western breakfast.

"Clean Comfortable Overnight Stay"
David B, 09 Octobre 2015

After doing Route 66 all day, we were looking for a clean comfortable room and that is exactly what we found. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Nothing fancy here, just a nice place to spend the night.

"Fantastic "
Alison G, 09 Octobre 2015

We arrived here after a long drive from San Francisco looking for a room. We were met by Keith who managed to get us the last available room that night. Could have hugged him I was so tired. The room was fantastic. Very spacious and comfortable. The hotel has an arrangement with Juicy"s River Cafe across the way, where you can have free breakfast and discount on dinner. Thanks to Keith an Rich for making our stay memorable for all the right reasons. ?

"It's a bed. That's about it."
cmahar, 06 Octobre 2015

A basic bed. Wifi didn't work in the evening. I finally got on in the morning. They don't have breakfast at the hotel, which is a major reason I stay at Best Westerns. Instead, they had a voucher for the restaurant next door, where you could get a choice of two very simple breakfasts that were adequate, but not as good as breakfast at other Best Westerns (waffles, mmmmm). Parking was good. There are a few fast food places around. You won't go hungry, but it's kind of like a truck-stop place.

"Nice place to stay in Needles."
reragland, 06 Octobre 2015

The rooms are nice and clean. They have a beautiful outside pool area. The air conditioning kept the room cool, even though it was 108 degrees when we checked in! The also have a nice Route 66 mural in vending area.

"Great place to stay in Needles"
Joan B, 05 Octobre 2015

Loved the staff, the room, the breakfast, and especially the pool. It was cool, and lots of seating and tables and during the evening well lit. It was easy to find off the highway and close enough to other amenities.

"One of the nicest Best Western's we've stayed in, very nice"
Jeanne D, 03 Octobre 2015

Really nice hotel with a beautiful pool area including outdoor fire places. So very nice. The rooms were very nicely decorated, quiet and comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean. Free popcorn in the lobby was a nice little treat! The hotel is well located, and the on site restaurant was very good, which is also where you can order a free hot breakfast that is served to you rather than buffet style. We will definitely return on a future trip.

"Family stay with pets"
Brenda D, 29 Septembre 2015

Nice hotel, very busy, parking could be an issue. A family stay over with kids. Had pets with us, charge extra for them. Pet area is fenced in and has bags available for clean up, nice feature. Very hot during our stay, air conditioning took a bit to cool the room. Nice pool area after a long day. Breakfast next door offer a good selection if you want to pay extra for it. Was disappointed with the shampoo, conditioner etc. no small bottles only a dispenser in the shower area, a little weird. In room mini fridge was nice to have for ice chest stuff over night. Overall no major issues with our stay.
