During my accommodation in this hotel for 5 nights in Oct 2024, hotel staff were kind and helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily and hotel location for those who would apply for USA interview is recommending. Hotel is far away department store and malls.
What i really appreciate the most is there breakfast buffet. They have a variety of breads and pastries. I love that danish pastry. They have fruit slices and fresh salad as well. And also a detox water that i usually drink everyday and I am glad that they have it here. Food containers are always full which is a good thing. The servers are vigilant to refill the trays and make sure everyone can taste it .The room is nice, bed is comfortable. It would be nice if they have disposable slippers inside. Its a little bit dusty. But overall it is a very accommodating with respectable staffs. Thank you very much.
Great staff! Very helpful! Thanks for giving us a great experience in this hotel They really take time to help you with all the small stuff! Breakfast is very large Rooms are big and very comfortable. So a good hotel. Good staff And well located in Muscat
Nice and comfortable rooms. Good buffet breakfast with Indian and continental options. All the staffs I interacted were very welcoming and helpfull. I stay in BWP whenever I visit Muscat. Recommended for both family and business travellers.

The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. The restaurant was fantastic, with delicious food served by friendly waiters who went above and beyond. Special shoutout to the chef—his cuisine was a culinary masterpiece! My room was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The services provided were top-notch, and the seamless transfer to the airport was the perfect way to end a perfect stay. Highly recommend!

I really have a superb experience living in Premier Best Western Hotel in Oman. Room: The room is spacious and have superb facilities to make customers feel at home. Room Service: The room services is superb, cleaning and room facilities care is superb. Restaurants: Food service is superb as well, I must commend the hospitality services of Mr. Nijas and Mr. Abdul Wahab, both are super team with great understanding of their job, their smile during service is superb and second to none, they are great team for hospitality. Geographical Location: The hotel is situated in area where almost everything is available. Area of improvement: 1. Gym: There is need to improve on the gym facilities, there is always room for more facilities. 2. Guest Directory: Information about the visiting time for male and female in the swimming pool should be included, though, the Directory is well prepared and very robust and well educative, but there is always room for improvement. I will love to stay in Premier Best Western hotel in my next visit to Muscat. It is a home away from home.
Nice hotel and very kind stuff especially the two waiters Abdelwahab and Nijas. Pros: Clean and spacious room Swimming Pool is good 👍 Cons: The gym is small but acceptable, I hope they add more equipment like barbell , squat machine dumbbells
Best place to stay in Muscat , highly recommended staff were so friendly 👍 love their food so many varieties and options in food , they must have great chefs 👨🍳 rooms are so spacious and with comfy atmosphere! Plus the location of this hotel is so good you can easily move around

As usual the warm welcome I received from the reception team . This time a special thanks for Noora at the reception, very welcoming and friendly lady . She made sure that my needs are met . Overall it was a very comfortable stay and caring staff.
Everything was good. All staff were kindly and friendly specially June and Sakenithnd . Facilities also were good. We recommend staying at this hotel to everyone. You will have good time in an enjoyable and peaceful environment. This hotel is close to many of your needs.
"I recently stayed at BWP Hotel for 6 nights and had a great experience! The staff were friendly and helpful especially Nijas, Abdul wahab and Basil , the room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.
The hospitality of the hotel was great specially the kitchen staff appeared friendly and very welcoming while serving food in the morning. The food variety was good too. We enjoyed our socializing with the staff specially Jun and Sakenth. The staff were prompt in addressing our needs.
Muscat Best Western Premier Hotel is a very nice, elegant and comfortable hotel..all the staff are so polite and helpful ,the overall environment is friendly, the rooms are very cozy. What I like the most the quality of food. It is really fresh and tasty, really delicious. They have a very experienced and dedicated chef, and the restaurant staff are so beautiful specially Jun and Abdulwahab. It is highly recommended.
everything was perfect. The food was really fresh and delicious.Waitres and Waitress were really kind towards us,specially jun,she was an indian girl and she always helped us and was reallyyyy responsible.I had an amazing experince there. And I uploaded a photo with jun :)
We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Premier Muscat hotel, where the exceptional hospitality and delicious breakfast truly made my experience memorable. We came to know that the delicious food was lead by Saketh. Thank you Saketh and Mr Anjum👏🙏🏻
Stayed here for one week and every thing was perfect, Reception desk representative, room cleaning, catering crew , Good staff maintaining all things very perfectly specially the food serving crew Abdul Wahab and Nijas are well mannered serving the guests in very good way.Really Appreciated and best of luck to all team and hotel management.
Excellent hotel, very courteous staff and very nice breakfast. The facilities are very well maintained and staff is always there to help you. Ansari and his team as well as Chef Sakenth and his team always keen to assist you and address any concerns
very good staff and nice place and good foods and good placevreaching everywhere easy. gym was very good but a little small but has billiards. ping-pong. the rooms were clean and comfort and the air conditioner was perfect we just love the place
We had a 10-year-old son with us in a twin room and they quickly brought us an extra bed. In relation to the price, the hotel had a very good quality. There is a store next to the hotel and a supermarket in front of the hotel. The indoor pool of the hotel was very clean. The gym facilities were not very good and the hotel can make the gym much better with a very low cost. We were very pleased with our five-night stay. Steph was very friendly and tried to help in every way. I am also grateful to Nafis and Iman who were at the reception for always answering with a smile. My wife had a headache and we asked for painkillers and they sent 2 pills to our room in less than 5 minutes. We did not use the hotel's meals and cannot comment on it. We will come back again.
What I like the most about this hotel is the quality of food. It was really amazing, I visited during Ramadan time and iftar was really wonderful. They must have a very experienced and dedicated chef. It is highly recommended. Congratulations, keep it up.
Hospitality, openness of all staff and availability. I had a great stay and I always like to come back to this hotel because it feels like home. The restaurant is of the highest standard, great cuisine. Especially the chef Mr. Sakenth and Mr. Baber, as well as the great service of Miss Jun and Mr. Hassan and others :) I recommend the hotel and restaurants with all my heart
BEST SERVICE GIVEN FROM HOTEL SIDE. SPECIALLY FROM KITCHEN SIDE. ONE OF THE PERSON MS. JUN SHE IS VERY GOOD IN HER PROFESSION. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SERVICE. BEST PART ON MY AIR INDIA LAYOVER YOU ALLOWED MY HUSBAND WITH ME. THAT IS THE VERY GOOD PART. THANK YOU SO MUCH..
ALL SERVICES ARE VERY GOOD.. SPECIALLY ONE OF THE LADY WHO IS WORKING IN FOOD & Beverage THE LADY NAME IS JUNE.... HER BEHAVIOUR IS VERY GOOD. ENJOYING A LOT ON MY LAYOVER. IF I WILL COME WITH MY FAMILY NEXT TIME PERSONALLY ALSO I DEFINATELY COME IN HERE ONLY. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
On a business trip, I stayed in this hotel for a week, everything was good, especially the breakfast buffet and its cooks and staff. The service of the rooms was good. My room was good. In general, the treatment of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel was good. Tip: If you want your hotel to have a bar, there is no bar here. Overall it is good.
Clean room, friendly front desk, good breakfast & decent location. I found Best Western Premier when I searched for hotels in Muscat. I trust this brand from my past experience & decided to make decision right away. Just like other BW Premier, the quality & money both are very satisfying.
The hotel is clean, the person who cleans the rooms every day is to be congratulated, the room smells great with a change of clean towels. The internet works well, food and breakfast are good. All employees will treat you with kindness. I recommend this hotel, the daily price is not abusive. For anyone who wants to go on a tour and get to know the city, I highly recommend Mohameds from the company Car rental Tycoons international. mohammednowshad9761@gmail.com The prices they charge are the best in the city, they are honest and their entire team will do everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful stay. They really are the guys. I will leave their phone number here: +968 9911 4666 It was with them that I met Muscate in these 5 days. In fact, it was the hotel itself who recommended these professionals to me and we became friends. Leaving very satisfied with this group. Thank you very much and gratitude to everyone who served me.
Very wonderful stay at the Best Western. The staff were truly amazing; very engaging and responsive as well as welcoming. Apologies for the names I hadn't remembered but in addition to the manager who helped me consider options by which I could see the country and the gentleman who along with the superbly warm restaurant staff call me to let me know if left my hat and phone when I'd left for a day tour, some of the helpful team include Noorah Iman and Sharif (again apologies to the many more whose names I haven't remembered to be able to mention here) Really enjoyed my time in Rm804 and not just hope to return to Oman for another holiday but would definitely enjoy the chance to stay with the Best Western Hotel again⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Warm welcome at the reception. Staff if friendly and smiling. Good location, breakfast is variable and really nice, lot of options to choose, everybody will find their own taste. Chef is friendly and checked if we have enjoyed the meal or not. Room was perfect for a few days stay. I can only suggest to everybody!
Good Food, friendly staff, ideal location.. Well maintained rooms. At breakfast counter chef directly interacting with guests and improving accordingly.. Restaurant staffs are really nice and very polite
Spacious rooms with all the modern amenities you can imagine. Wonderfully laid out restaurant -The Atrium. Smart staff ready to help. I had an early morning flight on Friday 11th Aug. 2023, so could not enjoy the buffet breakfast included with the room rate. Abrar who was manning the reception, ensured that I did not go empty stomach to the airport, by having cakes and croissants packed along with a large measure of Orange juice in a carry away tumbler. Thanks, Abrar!
I had a great time at the Bedt Western Premier Hotel. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained. Housekeeping keeps the room in good shape and important the beds are from good quality. I slept like a baby. An other strong point is the food and the service every day we had a different menu in the buffet. We stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks and no one ever complained about the food. We were with about 40 people. The service in the restaurant was great especially Jun served us well and was always available to support us when ever we asked. We also used the meeting rooms which were well equipped and always available as we wished. We thank staff and management for making our stay here enjoyable, comfortable and special
I am used to staying in Best Western Hotel since February 2019, Working in Omani Oilfields, so every month I spend some days living in this hotel It's so nice & comfortable with helpful & friendly crew
I had a wonderful experience at Best Western. The staffs are very friendly and helful. The hotel has wonderful amenities and makes you feel at home. They provide variety of cuisine and the dishes are tasty.
Best Western is my favorite hotel in Muscat, I will choose it in a heartbeat. It's a very good and a clean hotel. Actually it's their staffs who always make me stay for so long. I'm a long stay guest from 2013 and this hotel is always on point when it comes to service and hospitality. From the reception, they have professional, reliable, and accomodating receptionists esp Mansing. They have very good breakfast at an affordable price, Chef Sakenth is an excellent one, can cater to whatever your liking, I was surprised that his expertise is beyond imaginable, he knows a lot of cuisine, he even made the dishes we requested during our church anniversary. And for the waitresses, they will surely go out their way everytime when it comes to excellent service, Jun is superb, she has the sense of anticipation and would always make sure to put a smile on your face.
Very courteous staff . Great breakfast .central location value for money. Definetly recommend staying here . Clean rooms . I visit here regularly . Sakint , jun and team you guys are great . Best luck
Excellent hotel, very good staff, breakfast and kitchen staff were excellent taking very good care of guests, plenty of options to choose from in the menu. Rooms are spacious with all amenties. Definetly worth a second stay.
Housekeeping service excellent specialy motin.he is cleaning nicely my room everything tidy.hotel is located in a quite place.breakfast is good .After 4 years I came again here.mahes Housekeeping manager also met me he is taking care of my stay.
Very good service. Man Singh and Sharif in front office were exceptionally helpful in making my long stay comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for travellers looking for affordable best in class hotels in Muscat.
The hotel located in a quite place.staffs are friendly . Housekeeping staff motin very good.hk manager mahesh asking about our requirements.food is good.swimming pool available and gym also.i like the hotel.
Very good hotel housekeeping staff best, motin clean our room nicely,Mahesh asking every day about our stay to make sure everything comfortable,we will come back again , place is calm and quite, location is good
Noorah in reception went above and beyond to arrange for my extended stay. Staff are friendly. Food is good. Rooms are clean and spacious. You actually have a view of the mountains, which is amazing to behold.
Great gym, nice pool, very friendly staff, Marhaban taxi was safe and you can also walk to the shops in the neigbourhood. However if you like to spend more time at the beach, then another option closer to the sea is better
I wrote a review earlier about the restaurant. This is about the hotel. I stayed for four nights here and everything was great. Noorah was so friendly and helpful whenever I needed anything, from quick and easy check in to check out. The room was clean with coffee, tea and water available; the pool was warm and nice. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff there was very accommodating. I definitely recommend.
I ate here during my stay at the hotel. Dinner was served in a good and complete buffet with lots of Indian and international dishes. I enjoyed it; and the price was good too. Friendly staff and a beautiful setting.
The stay at the hotel was all right. The Best Western nightmare started at checkout. The reception had no clue how to handle reward bookings made with BW points. The result was endless follow up with abysmally incompetent reception staff, me being overcharged 24000 BW points, every attempt to mend it resulting into another cock up and a bigger mess. Zero help from the BW 'customer service' in the US.
It was a really, really nice stay in Muscat and this great hotel is one of the reasons. Rooms are very spacious, quiet, perfectly clean and you'll find there anything you need for your stay. The Service is fantastic, very professional, helpful and you can tell, that they really like their occupation. If the are any problems (but it happens really rarely), they'll solve it in a minute. And the last, but the greatest thing: meals served by Chef Sakenth - it's a perfect mix of Indian and Middle East Cuisine, which was sooo delicious! I miss the taste od breakfast' s hummus already. But dinners are the best - if you are the fans of Indian Cuisine, you'll find there the favourite dishes from the menu. And don't forget about sweets, which was also very tasty. Mr. Chef Saketh - thank you for commitment to your work, your smile and great taste!
The hotel is decent, in a good location, and the rooms are quiet. The cleanliness is good. International breakfast is average. At the time of check-in, there were not enough towels in the room (we were two in the room, and only one small towel was in the bathroom). The room was redone only once out of three nights. Toilet paper was scarce, and only after three phone calls to the front desk (because housekeeping didn't answer) did they bring a roll (only one). The staff at the front desk is generally friendly and helpful.
Many time i book this hotel its good option and location.. Stuff very kind and welcome specially Abdullah.. For sure i recommend best western.. And will be my place whenever i need a hotel.. My regards 2 best western and Abdullah..
Swimming pool closed without announcement and when we asked to meet with manager, the front office manager came and shouting with my friend and this not accepted especially when we came with our families to spend vacation. This behaviour not accepted and I didn't see like that at any hotels before.
The location was not great, but the hotel is very nice. Fast wifi, great selection for breakfast, comfortable room with a kettle and courtesy tray. There seemed to be a minbar but it did not work. I never saw the swimming pool so I don't know whether it was for both men and women. Everything was spotlessly clean
Hotel is excellent and room service person are very good Thanks to Mr. Shabeer ( room service ) Break fast is good. Swimming is also good. Also pick up drop to my cleint place they are very flexible as per guest requirement Good work keep it up
Not once, not twice.. but thrice! ( Thanks Giving Party, Holiday Season lunch buffet and 50th Birthday of a friend). Affordability, flexibility, very accomodating staff, cleanliness and food are highly recommended about Best Western Premier Muscat Hotel. Their Karaoke room is perfectly good for a family or a small group of friends. Their lunch buffet has delicious food with a very reasonable price. Also their BBQ buffet, bbqs are so tasty. Special mention to Ms. Merlyn Serratore (Supervisor) and Mr. Mahfood ( Manager) who restlessly answered all our queries, requests and follow-ups prior to and during the events. Very commendable!
It was an amazing day when i stay in this hotel its reasonably priced in terms of the rate and the room having a nice design and ambience that you will fall asleep easily.. Breakfast was superb the taste of the food is amazing and i enjoy it. Special thanks to Mr. Noel for looking after me during my stay.. Definitely sure that i will come back to visit this hotel again.. Thanks to the team.
The hotel is very nice and every time I come to Muscat I book this hotel. The service is beautiful. The bed is very comfortable and there is a staff member who always makes me smile and laughs and helps me a lot. His name is Jaber Al Balushi and he is a very kind person. Together, I thank Best Western Hotel The staff is very kind.
"First time in Oman and would love to come back again.Thank you for the staff who are extremely accommodating me from the day i come until my checked out .They are wonderful. Clean room and very Comfortable to stay. I will come back for sure" . Special thank to MR. MAN SINGH
Me and my team stayed here for two nights. We were supposed to stay in another hotel in Muscat but we were convinced by Mr. Ansar to stay in this hotel and it didn't disappoint. We were only looking for a place to sleep in Muscat but this hotel exceeded our expectations. Most of us are first timers in this hotel as we used to stay in another nearby hotel. Check in and check out was a breeze and the staff at the reception were all nice. The rooms here are big which was great for us since we are tall guys (6 foot and above). It was clean and the smell was nice once you enter the room. They also have a big pool which we enjoyed after our practice. The breakfast buffet was also impressive and the server Ms. June was very attentive to us. We look forward to stay in this hotel again, along with the other teams of the club as we start the new tournament season. More power to this hotel.
Went for bbq night and enjoyed it! Food was awesome and love the tenderness of the meat. Mashed potatoes was perfect! Went home with full and satisfied stomach! Will definitely come back and will bring some friends with me for sure!
Very good place to host and event. So affordable and the staff are so helpful and accommodating. Especially the F&B Supervisor Merlyn. She helped us from preparation to the event itself. It was very easy for us and very smooth. Food is also good. Chef is not filipino but he delivered our orders (filipino food) in a very good way. 5 stars for this Hotel! Place, service, staff! Will definitely recommend.
We enjoyed the place epeciallyt the service and foods were all good, staffs r all nice vert helpful n polite, thanks to Mark and Ms Merlyn for the service n assistance, excellent! We will comebackf or sure with more friends!once again thanks again to u guys
The hotel is good for short stay and has small gym and covered pool . Room was tidy and clean but area is just sufficient for one person. Food is not good at all. Small hotel suites people going to Muscat for business and short stay. Nearby supermarket and some restaurants. One basement for car parking is available but with limited spaces. There is Turkish restaurant annex to the hotel and serving tasty food but little bit expensive than same level of restaurant in downtown.
I had 8 nights stay in this hotel for COVID quarantine. Quarantine itself is a scary word, but thanks to the excellent hospitality, lavish breakfasts, fresh hot delicious meals, large size comfortable room and very prompt service, the stay has been very comfortable. Room service staff, with special mention of Man Singh have been very courteous & prompt. I would recommend this hotel to all.
Reserved this hotel with its Quarantine package for 9 nights when I travelled to Oman. It exceeded my expectation. The room was spacious, very clean and sterilized, food was freshly prepared, Mansingh and room service were excellent in every time. Good internet speed
I did my covid quarantine here. To be honest, did not have much expectations but everything was good. Room was spacious, food was good. Thumbs up to Man Singh with room service department, he did make sure that food was fresh and delicious. I do recommend this hotel to all. Better that other pricey options around Muscat these days. However they need to step up the gym with a few treadmills and some equipments.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Specially Mr. Man Singh was very helpfull! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Oman.
Best Western Hotel Muscat is a convenient place to stay for a night in Muscat. The room is of a decent size and all the amenities are fine. It's spotless clean and everything is sanitised. Having said above, there are certain points which does not stand with the four-star quality standards. First, the parking is not very well designed and if you have an SUV, there is little chance you can park it there. Outside is the best option. Second, the receptionists have to be much better trained. It took them more than 15 minutes to check me in because their system at the reception was not synced with booking.com. Furthermore, I was woken up in the afternoon by the receptionist asking me to cancel my booking.com reservation because she had done the check in differently. When I asked her whether my credit card is charged if I cancel on the say of check in, she had no clue. These all indicate that the management of the hotel is not entirely en par with the required standards of a four-star property.
nice hotel with value for money .room were clean, very comfortable . highly recommend this hotel , free breakfast .food is okey . modern , clean , staffs are super helpful, friendly staff .had a great stay..
I would like to recommended this Hotel BWP. The food is good and very delicious. The rooms are clean and always organized and the hotel staff happy and give everything you asked for. Also, I would like to give a good appreciation for Mr. Man Singh whom staff of Hotel for his good communication, education and good spoken with clients. Any one who come to BWP looking for good and no expensive hotel..... better to booking with this hotel. Thanks for everyone in the Hotel. Mohamed
I checked in at BEST WESTERN PREMIER hotel as a part of my Covid 19 quarantine stay. The hospitality of the hotel and friendly staff made my stay very comfortable. The hotel cleanliness, food ,staff and room facilities were really satisfying. I would like to specialy thank to Mr. MAN SINGH and team for making my stay pleasant. Regard AMIT KAPOOR ROOM- 818
Recently spent three weeks here on vacation & during my stay, the hotel staff made me feel very comfortable and attended to all my requests with enthusiasm. The room was large, well maintained & very clean with nice comfortable beds. One of the things that I enjoyed was the variety of food and the different cuisine selection that is available. Breakfast/lunch/dinner were very tasty. Special thanks to Jun & Man Singh at the restaurant. JUN has such warmth and positive vibes. A real treasure to the hotel. I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Premier hotel & Would definitely recommend a stay at it.
We stayed in Best Western Premier Hotel for institutional quarantine reason. We were welcome warmly by the staff of the reception especially Iman. We were provided a room prior to the check-in time which was too good of the Manager. The room was very neat and clean. The staff made sure that we were comfortable in our stay. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.
Hotel is good but the Wifi is the worst you will ever use. Its 0.6 MBPS and is the slowest WIFI you will ever use. Specially when you have people quarantining here, Invest a little more in the WIFI since the people quarantining here have no other source of entertainment besides WIFI and Television. The hotel claims they have High Speed WIFI on their website but its really not 230 Rials was honestly quite a big rip off if the WIFI isn't high speed.
I stayed in this property for a week which I had to be in quarantine as I arrived in Oman. The hotel cleanliness, food, staff and room facilities were really satisfying. The only point was that the room did not have a view. But still, it will not bother if you do not have to stay the whole week alone in a room! All in all, the hotel was very good and I suggest it to everyone.
Well mannered and behaved reception, technically strong and assistive IT personnel who helped me to resolve wifi issue on my laptop. Spacious and huge room. A cafe with Arabic, western and Indian food delicacy.
Stayed there for several nights for the tour in Muscat. Very clean, comfortable hotel and hotel staff are helpful. Great breakfast buffet with wide selections. A supermarket and few restaurants are across the street in a few minutes' walk.
Stayed here for 1 night in SCR suite, hotel is located on main road, checkin was quick, room was very spacious, really huge, comfortable king bed, big sofa, big desk to work, fresh fruit basket-complimentary. Hotel staff generously packed breakfast for early morning checkout. There is Kamat restaurant opp Hotel, at walking distance. One minor issue to report: upon checking in, I requested to book cab for airport early morning, but receptionist advised I will get taxi easily no pre booking is required. Unfortunately I waited for 10 to 15 mins on road for taxi. Hotel staff stood with me for sometime on road to help.
The Location and entrance of the Hotel was little bit difficult to find. but for the experienced people can reach well. And once we arrived at the hotel the thoughts been changed. The hotel was so lovely especially the Indian guy who's at the reception, not really remember the name.
helpful and friendly staff. nice, thoughtfully equipped and clean, spacious room, very practical bathroom with all amenities you can think of. the food is exquisite and tasty. i was delightfully surprised.
Standard Best Western grade room and accommodation. Very comfortable, friendly staff. Modern style. A great place to stay in Muscat. The elevator allows you to see the view of the atrium. Food is decent.
Stayed here for two nights. After arriving at 6.30am after an overnight flight, the receptionist said they would have my room ready by 10.30am and luggage could be stowed They gave me my room key at 9.30am, which was greatly appreciated The room itself was clean, spacious with great air conditioning and a couch and coffee table for use, tea and coffee facilities in the room. The safe inside the wardrobe was a great asset and the wardrobe itself has a light which is activated when the door is opened. There were also dressing gowns for use, which was a nice touch The room I stayed in was quiet. While I was only there 2 days and spent most of my time out of the room exploring, there was a small indoor pool for use. The breakfast was good, with a wide selection of fruits and pastries as well as a buffet with turkey bacon, chicken sausages and potatoes. It was not too crowded and all staff were friendly and attentive We ate in the hotel one night, the buffet has a selection of various types of rice and curries for 8 rial. I opted for a fried chicken coated with herbs and jacket potatoes off a seperate menu, for 5 rial it was reasonable, filling and tasty. There were 2 things that kept me from giving a 5star rating- there was only one plug socket in the room to be used and was in an awkward place above the desk, which was difficult to access, just a personal thing and second was the location as it's located a bit outside the centre of Muscat, although the are taxis around to get nearer the centre. Otherwise this was a nice place to stay I would recommend and would stay here again. The staff really were very welcoming and always made an effort to speak to you in the hallway and elevators.
I stayed for a week in this hotel. Everything was great. Warm welcome with traditinal tea and date next to reception. Receptionist was responsible to all concerns of passangers. Taxi drivers could be found in the lobby, so no issue to wait much!!! Breakfast is complete with different menue every day. Fruit, drinks, traditional dishes, etc. Nothing is forgotten to offer passangers. Everything is tidy in all parts of hotel and specially in rooms. Room services are quick and clean rooms and refill whatever you use in room. Coffee and tea are free in rooms and plenty. Great location as well!!! Never miss it!!!
We stayed here for 1 night the food was nice , buffet style selection and as my daughter was a veggie they made her a cheese pizza , staff very friendly. Rooms were a good size . Bargain discount shop a few mins away . 15/20 mins from airport. Happy to recommend
Fantastic buffet breakfast. Always staff are smiling.also the lunch buffet it's amazing.it was really amazing and nice food experience in my life i was there three night that three nights i got several meals and the breakfast was really wonderful and mouth watering.
I have stayed here now three times. It has been a good experience. Breakfast in the morning is excellent. It was not too far from airport and two Malls. Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and bathroom was clean. Rooms were bit dark due to selection of paint and furniture. I would stay here again if in Muscat.
I stayed in this hotel for two months on business (Feb to March). Rooms clean, staff nice and helpful. Good central location. I don't enjoy staying in hotels for so long but this was a pleasant visit. Food was good. Underground parking sometimes difficult to navigate. Overall a positive experience
If you're looking for a hotel for visiting muscat this one is definitely worth the price! Very nice rooms and the breakfast buffet is huge! The staff is really helpful and parking is for free as well!
Very good service, especially all staffs responsible approach, vehicle service to airport is additional advantage for leisure like myself, food quality also fantastic and the hotel location is very convenience for me.
I had one night , for the Hotel rating as 4 stars , the breakfast was over my expectation in variety and presentation . Bed was comfortable , room view was not nice . I have to mention that I forgot my mobile & Charger in my room after C/Out and they found and keep for me. Thank you for your honesty .
Its almost nice hotel for a couple of days Its just basic although very clean with arabiab coffee welcomming. It has a turkish kabab resturent. This hotel fits the price.with smoking and non smoking and really quiet room.
Nice stay at the hotel. Very good wifi and breakfast was varied. The swimming pool is indoor and it is only for adults. There is no one for children. Slow check in Fast check out. It's location was excellent
This was pretty standard for a best Western Hotel. It's not easy to find at first but the location is actually quite good if you have a car. Actually for Muscat, it's best if you have your own car because everything is so spread out. There aren't any good restaurants within walking distance, but a short five minute drive and you can find plenty of good eateries. The room is ordinary, service at the front desk decent, and breakfast is drab. That's pretty much the best western experience.
Stopped by after a late flight into Muscat, needed a cheap simple room for the night but was surprised at the big spacious room, deco a bit outdated but functional room. Fantastic breakfast! Good Staff service; left a cardigan there- emailed them the next day, and they put it aside for collection. Front counter Staff was fantastic, but had to wait almost 20minutes before Housekeeping Staff could bring it. Overall, good simple cheap!
I stayed here while attending a swimming competition in Muscat. The hotel was chosen by the swimming club as it was in close proximity (7 minutes in a car) to The British School Muscat. The hotel is basic, which was fine. It's quite old and dated but the beds are comfortable and the room was clean. The food in the restaurant was ok but could have been better. My only issue was the check-in. The hotel really needs to improve their system. It took 20 minutes to check one guest in!! They made photo copies of everything and the process was so slow. The queue was huge but no one seemed to know what to do. It was very frustrating as it took me over an hour to check-in. I'd only stay here again if I had to.
it is comfortable and clean. The staff is really respectful and friendly. The location is also good. The price, I guess, is fair for this hotel. I didn't use the gym nor the pool. So, I don't have any comments.
We were twice in this hotel. First time we had a room on second floor and it was quite good, but the electrical outlets didn't work. Second time we had a room on seventh floor and there was disturbing noise from a nearby machine. Breakfast was good. Matress was good.
Don't think ever to book in this hotel. Reason as stated... My wife spit a blood on bed due to her period then I got bad behaviour & attitude from hotel as below :- 1- During our stay : housekeeping cleaned the room then we got call from hotel to pay money. I insists that to take it to laundry & wash it. 2- after check out : I got hundreds of calls from hotel & WhatsApp texts, by threating me to pay( 50 OMR) otherwise they gone call police as considered that it's a murder case. Is that a professional & reputed hotel ( with 4 star); definitely 100% NO I have booked several of hotel (4 or 5 stars). No one has this policy that to replace the bed sheet & cover and the customer will pay the cost. Even thought I called one of hotel manger( 4 star) , he confirmed to me no policy stated that in any hotel as it's natural comes from couples. So Don't think ever to book in this hotel. Otherwise you will get same attitude from hotel...
The hotel was located in a great location. Very central and easy to get to the main attractions. The breakfast was cheap and plentiful. Good range of English / Arabic breakfast. The room was also very clean and comfortable, beds were a good size too! Overall, lovely stay for 3 nights!
If you are coming to this hotel for holiday you will be disappointed. It is a hotel made for business trip licated in a business and diplomatic area of the capital, far away from everything. It takes 30 minutes on foot to get to the nearest beach or u have to pay 12 dollars and go by taxi. All the historical attractions and resorts are on the other side of muscat. Oddly enough, most of the taxi drivers did not know this hotel and had to use google map. It is clean and the staff are polite but you have to keep showers running for 30 minutes to get a lukewarm shower. Breakfast is basic and the restaurant is ordinary and expensive. Most of the rooms do not have views. My room was facing an office buildings. Do not change your money here. They take 8 percent for commission. It is a hotel i will certainly avoid in the future
When I checked in I was given a room in which the front door keycard didn't work so I wasn't able to get in my room. It took 4 separate trips downstairs to the front desk for them to "fix it" by upgrading me to a better room. At one point they even told me someone was going to fix it and I could go get dinner. I came back and nothing had been done. It's pretty pathetic they couldn't deal with a simple problem like this in a professional manner and instead made me waste a couple hours trying to force them to fix it. As for the room itself, it was clean, comfortable, and modern. The hotel's free parking was great if you have a rental car and the location is right in the middle of anywhere you would want to go.
We stayed at the Best Western and found it to be a very good location. The rooms are of a very high quality, with good servicing. Staff in reception were helpful and knowledgeable and the dining room is similarly well run. There wasn't a bar ( not all hotels in Muscat have one) but the staff redirected us to another hotel nearby which did. Taxis are easily available outside and like the hotel staff are friendly and often speak some English.
Basic hotel for business, located in a quite zone (the hotel is far away from tourist areas). Clean and spacious rooms, but cold water in shower!!. Hotel staff are friendly, competent and polite staff (especially Charlene). Pros, close to Turkish house restaurant (excellent restaurant for eating fresh fish) Worst, high noise in the morning
Ill keep this simple. Pro's -The hotel is fine for the price. -Decent & clean. -Close to everything. - very courteous & great omani hospitality -Nice coffee shop in lobby -Small indoor pool 20m Negatives -The Hot water lasts about 1/2 of a shower so you better be the first one in or you are screwed! -Gym is from 1972 so you will have to be extremely creative if you are looking to get a work out in hahah -Pillows are more like consolidated foam & hard as Hell. Other than that, think it was still a decent deal for the price! Enjoy
Our group stayed in this hotel twice. First time on 28. and 29. december. I was in the room 305. Nice, ok. The second time we were there on 31. to New Year. I became room no. 805. Horror room! It is like beeing in an engine room. I was wake allllllllll night. Two ladies from our group were in the same floor asked for cheinching room. The atitude off the stuff was not very nice. They were eleveted. We had a new years dinner. Service was very good, food was nice too, very nice , elegant presented. Thanks for that! PS. Sorry for my writing in English.
The hotel is well maintained. Clean rooms and spacious. A little dark when the curtains is closed since the carpet is too dark too. Would be better without the carpet. Aircon in the room is properly working. Fridge has some issue leaking. Maybe you could check on that. Since we arrived really early and the hotel was full, it took them 1hour to give us the next available room. Though we understand that it was our fault not to preinform them. Was just expecting that they should have an available room for this kind of cases especially when you are coming from a long flight and traveling with kids. The taxi drivers though very friendly charged us in a higher range. So make sure you negotiate and fix the price first. We were just too kind to go with the flow. The stay made it special because of Kamal and Charlene and the chefs and other staff members. They took care of all our needs and really well trained and professional and polite. Also very friendly. Our son is fond of them. Hats off to you both! Hope to see you in our next visit. Just another suggestion as we see everyday there is a buffet available and not many people eating. Please think about the food waste. We are trying to live in a sustainable world and we could maybe improve in some ways. Thank you and all the best.
Connecting rooms were assigned to us on request. Rooms were well-equipped with required toiletries. The mattress and pillows were good, facilitating a good night sleep on both of our nights. WiFi is quite easy to access and stable. Location is convenient. One point for the hotel to consider is the TV, the resolution was not good and can be improved. Front desk lady was nice enough to suggest that we book the buffet breakfast only if keen, and we chose to try some of the several eateries in the vicinity.
I stayed 3 nights on this hotel recently and very much enjoyed my stay there. Have to highlight the bed, which is very comfortable and made me sleep deeply. Also the shower was very nice. Elevators are very modern. Food was nice and service was very good too. Swimming pool could be better. Overall I am more than happy to recommend this hotel.
First reason why I decided to go for this one is the location - it's down the road from the office I have been visiting for business and it would take me less than 5 minutes by walk to reach work. Extremely convenient if you don't want to bother with taxi drivers every day, who will, in every case if you are not a local, rip you off shamelessly. Rooms are quite spacious, with a small seating area (sofa + coffee table), quite a big working desk with a chair and comfy kind size bed. if you are lucky and staying in one of the rooms on the side of the hotel where antoher building is not blocking your view (or day light), you will be able to enjoy fresh air and even tiny sea view in the distance. If you are staying on the other side though, good luck wtih waking up in the morning, as that side never gets sunlight - it's just too close to the next building. Also not convenient if you want to change clothes without curtains fully pulled on. Breakfast is not 5* but not bad as well. Staff is polite, if you run into the ones who speak great English. Good choice if you are visiting on business and your office is somewhere in Al Khuwair South.
Just used the conferencing facilities at The Phoenix Room. Buffet Lunch was a very good mix. Dessert was good with a variety of choice available. The cookies, tea and coffee breaks were well supplied. Service was comfortable. Not on hand all the time but on the spot when called. My overall impression of the property was pretty positive. Clean, Subtle layouts. Nice lighting. The approach is via a side road with ample parking. Location is suitable for business travel, short stays, Transit guests. Didn't have a chance to do a room inspection - would have liked to.
I recently visited Muscat and stayed at the property. Very practical for business users, great TOT for different services like laundry etc. Very nice staff, they make you feel at home. The location is super fantastic and close to almost all the offices.
I recently had a wonderful time touring Oman. Among the highlights were two stays at the Best Western Premier in Muscat. The location was ideal, the room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were very good. Best of all were the staff, all of whom were friendly and helpful. In particular, Muhammad Mezan was outstanding! He presented an excellent image of the hotel for everyone who approached the front desk and went out of his way to help solve everyone's problems. Mr. Mezan greatly enhanced my time in Muscat.
I stayed here from 13/10/28 until 17/10/18. The hotel is around 45 mins away from the airport. I checked-in to the hotel late in the evening at around 11 pm and it was nice and easy check-in procedure. The room was decent, clean and spacious. The furniture looks slightly dated, but that's okay if you are hardly going be in the room. The morning breakfast has a nice spread of a mix of local and international items. The omelette station could have been better. The only negative points I feel are that the room needs to be better more lit. There was no light near the dressing table. When I entered the room the locker wasn't working. They fixed it immediately but they should have checked everything when the previous guest checked out. Same with the TV wire. It was concealed behind the TV and was disconnected. The coffee maker wasn't working either. These are small points which were attended immediately but could have been avoided. The toiletries could have been better. Overall it's a nice an clean place for staying. I was out of the room for work so it really didn't matter much. It's decently priced and would consider staying here again.
This hotel is located in the middle of Muscat meaning that everything is not too far away. Muscat doesnt have a typical city center, though. It's not luxurious but if you want a good place to stay not too far away from everything it's a good place. Though it was 35 degrees I managed to walk to the two big mosques and to the Avenue mall. But it is possible to get a taxi to these places for around USD 6. There is a restaurant in the hotel and next to the hotel. Besides that very limited. A bus is running from the airport and to the other side of town. I never found it, though. Instead I got the number from a taxi driver and texted him each time I needed a taxi. Got a good deal. Rooms in hotel are spacious and nice. Everything worked fine including the free wifi. All in all it was good value for money.
It was not easy to find due to some error by my GPS, but once I got there the first thing that impressed me was how corteous the lady at the front desk was (unfortunately I do not remember her name). She was great and she also remembered my name once I got back downstairs after checking in. Little things that make the difference though. The room was so much better than the standard Best Western I've visited in the USA. Price was very good too. I had messed up (twice!) with my prepaid reservation on Agoda and they were very understanding, changing it twice without charging me extra!
Stayed there just for a night but amazing hospitality by their staff (especially Mr. Balu and Ms. Charlene)... They made sure that I get whatever I needed... Be it guidance on Nearby attraction or Taxi or Parking my car for extra two days in the hotel parking...Highly appreciate their help! Cheers!
The Rooms are large and well appointed. The Staff is very friendly and Helpful. The Hotel is well located for a short stay. The Morning Breakfast was an efficient spread, especially the live egg station! The Bell staff and reception staff made all effort to help us, in arranging transportation for airport transfers and site seeing. All in all a happy experience. The Hotel is neat and clean and linen is fresh and nice.
Late checkin earlier this week. The front desk are very helpful and friendly, helped with payment for taxi despite no small notes to change. First room, no.213 looks cosy nightmare only begins after showering. Climbed onto bed and there were sand and flakes all over omg. After clearing it a while there was still more, cant make out what the flakes were maybe human skin but sand sediments was definitely on.the bed too. Finally gave up call front desk, he even ask me what i want him to do i said change rooms and they got me a room that doesnt seems like people has stayed for sometime as the plugs for the lamp were removed room also has a musky smell. Orientation was wierd, two mirrors facing bed front and side, toilet facing bed. Its like a square box, well its clean at least and 330am it is. So off to bed everything was still ok.
Location - Pretty close to things that we required to go. Rooms - Descent, regular best western rooms. Toiletries provided. Low lighting. Comfortable bed. Clean Shower. Swimming Pool - On the ground level. Descent small shallow pool. Okay to relax. too. Breakfast - Descent breakfast spread, had several items. Better on the weekend than weekdays. No complaints. Check in/out: Agoda made a mistake in my booking, and gave a wrong room. We explained it to the reception, and they upgraded the room even though it wasnt their mistake. 5 stars to Shaolin for that! We had 2 suites booked, the Truman Suite was descent size. Very even given early check in without any complaints which was brilliant! Service - Good service overall. Wifi - is free, and worked okay. All in all, a nice hotel and would stay here again.
Honestly, I have stayed at many Best Westerns, but this one has them all beat....the unfailing help and support and willingness to go way over the norm was evident in all they do at this hotel. They referred me to a doctor when I needed one, helped guide me around the city (the hotel taxi gave me a guided tour (thank you so much, Mohammed) and refused to take any extras money, saying I was ‘family'. the staff in the restaurant are so engaging and friendly,, and very staff member I met treated me with utmost courtesy. The food was superb, the cleanliness pristine, and every effort was made to make my stay enjoyable. Charlene and her front desk team are amazing...thank you to all! I'm sure guests will so appreciate the service and professionalism here.
We stayed in this hotel due to the missed flight connection on Oman Air. Oman Air put us in this hotel during our 12 hour layover at Muscat Airport. Free transportation to/ from the hotel and lunch provided in the hotel on arrival. I was quite impressed with the quality of meal provided by the hotel and refreshment available in the lobby. We managed to spend a few hours relaxing in the room, which was clean and well-maintained. Due to the short transit time however, we didn't have time to sample other facilities in the hotel, such as swimming pool. Overall, I was impressed with this hotel and although it is located nowhere near the busiest part of the Muscat city, for a transit and quick refreshing, it was good enough for us. We recommend this hotel definitely.
When you tell people you plan to stay at a Best Western in the States, you get the raised eyebrow and knowing glance of "that's all you can afford?" But usually Best Westerns in Europe and Asia are very nice and a great chain to stay at. Unfortunately, this particular Best Western felt very American. No amenities in the bathroom (had to ask for practically everything.) Breakfast was a bland buffet with do it yourself coffee, and the view was a construction site. The front desk were nice ad helpful, but it was a very much 3 star hotel. It was far from where I wanted to be (which isn't the fault of the hotel) and my taxi driver kept pointing out other hotels I should have stayed at. It was fine for me traveling alone. I felt safe and didn't have any issues, but it was a very bland hotel. Nothing special. It's fine for a night or two, but it would not be a place if I were to vacation in Muscat. My room was clean, but showed its age.
A warm welcome by reception staff; comfy room, with a bed you sink into for a great night's sleep. Very clean environment! Room staff bend over backwards to assist with any issues. Good breakfast buffet with cold and cooked options. Car park spaces underneath the hotel are very tight to get into, but you manage. A comfortable stay. To get a 5 Star from me, the hotel would need to change its policy and offer alcohol, it's a dry hotel. Instead, I had to drive to the Radisson down the road for a cocktail.
We had an awesome stay at the Best Western in Muscat. The room was spacious and clean. The washroom was large and the windows let in lots of sunlight. I was very impressed by the staff at the hotel. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. I was impressed that each time I ordered juice from room service it was freshly squeezed instead of bottled juice. We wanted to watch a football match along with some other hotel guests one night and the staff accommodated that for us and played the game on a large screen in one of the public areas of the hotel. We were especially impressed by Mohammed Mezan who checked us in when we arrived. He ensured our stay was comfortable and offered lots of helpful tips for exploring Muscat and other parts of Oman. He was very friendly and professional. He is definitely a huge asset to the hotel. We will definitely stay again if we are back in Muscat!
The hotel is very clean , we go to BWP hotel 3/4 times in a month (As a crew member) specially when we reach at the hotel, all receptionist greet us with a smiling face, they are very hospitable, one of them Mezan, Mohammad Mezan he is very Decent, polite and always active in his duty. he is very helpful than other. Food is average. & Transport service is good . Thank you.
We had a lovely stay at the Best Western. I was very impressed by the spaciousness. The staff was very helpful and kind. One staff member in particular stands out. Mohammed Mezan checked us in when we first arrived. He was very social, engaging, welcoming and charming. He genuinely made us feel at home and made it a point to remember our names. He greeted us with a contagious smile each time we walked by during our stay. It was so good to meet him. Every hotel can use frontline staff with social skills and kindness like Mezan. He also told us quite a bit about the city of Muscat. We had rented a car so he told us how to navigate this foreign city and some of the road rules. He also suggested a cafe by the beach that we absolutely loved going to. Thank you for everything Mezan! You went above and beyond in making our stay an absolute delight. We will definitely be back!
Best waste hotels in my life, I stayed lot of hotel in last year for company purpose .But never sea such a waste hotel .front office people they dont know how to smile when sea gust .I feel that i came to death home
Checked in for 3 nights on business and personal trip, coming up from Salalah. 1. On 3rd night, Front Desk Person, Ahmad Al Amrari, Very disrespectful, rude and argumentative: regarding having friend visit my room. I came from out of town and was told I cannot have friends visit in room unless they pay 11 rial if it's over 20 minutes in room. I advised person lives in Muscat and is not staying overnight, and Ahmad continues to argue and asks is she staying at another hotel?? Ahmad needs some service & hospitality training. Manager then gave option to have visitor without charge, while Ahmad continues to argue, saying "i'll argue if you want to argue." I checked out of hotel that night and went to a competitor -- and there were zero issues with having visitors at other hotel. 2. Fridge didn't work, needed replacing 1st night. 3. No hot water first 2 nights; only warm. Maintenance said he'd turn up the hot water heater.. and it only got a bit warmer. No hot shower. Water leaked all over bathroom under shower glass. 4. During check-in at 8pm 1st night, I was asked to check in 30 minutes later and there might be a non-smoking room available. I refused, so they provided a bigger, non-smoking room, reluctantly. 5. No free breakfast option 6. Limited parking under hotel, with additional outside parking. 7. Free Internet 8. Electric socket at desk made sparking noises; I did not use for desk light. 9. One of two bathroom towels dirty; easy to get more. 10. Bed comfortable. 11. Only a few English speaking channels on TV. This place reminded me more of the a budget motel than a hotel. 1 star service, 2 star hotel.
We stayed here for 1 night and what a terrible experience. Firstly the room was not ready and we had to wait 20 mins. It should have been ready at 2pm! No offer on a drink while we waited...etc The room was plain filthy!! Dust everywhere . On the desk chair, bathroom and furniture. Wife was coughing immediately as she's sensitive to allergies. The dust had been there for ages so clearly the cleaning team are incompetent. We had a mountain view suite which was nice in size and well furnished but noisy! It's on the freeway so you hear cars all night. The Windows didn't seal properly. This was their ‘upgraded' room. The worse part are the staff. Especially the manager at the front desk. He smiles but offers no solution help or anything worth discussing. We had the buffet dinner - very average with no special taste. Overall this place was really disappointing. Given other reviewers were positive we were shocked how bad it was. Not recommended. And definitely not to a Best Western standard.
I had two nights stays at this property. It is more suitable for business travelers instead of leisure. Very easy accessible and nearby attractions. Amenities are good and sufficient. Staffs are friendly and easy to communicate.
Checked in on JAN 19th - Checked out Jan 21st . I must say i took a risk and booked a hotel room for the low price i got online, and was expecting it to be average or acceptable at the best. The surprise was when i saw how spacious the room was, and how comfortable, clean and well maintained everything was. Complimentary Wifi was not included in the booking but we were given the access, and we had complimentary coffee supplies for 2 days. Reception staff were very friendly and responsive, and there was nothing they couldn't help with, from showing me the nearest supermarket location, to providing me a rental car, and actioning all requests really quickly. The breakfast and lunch were both nice. Nothing fancy or too "fine dining" style, but the food was tasty and we had a good variety of dishes to try. Nice job to all the staff.
Clean, comfortable and large rooms. Easy to reach by car as right by a main motorway exit. Big shopping centre a short drive down the road. Gym quite nice with large TV for running machine. Service a reception a little too relaxed but very friendly.
We were upgraded to the Hoover suit which is the best room we have ever had at a Best Western. It had a living room, bed room, bathroom & kitchen with a washing machine. Staff were helpful and taxis were easy to get outside. It is far from downtown and 15 minute from airport by cab. The swimming pool was warm but underground and dim lights.
Good and clean room, but they don't serve coffee after 11 as they said they are closed. The worst thing is to wake up on hearing a construction and hammering in the hotel over your room 27-Dec-2017 Wednesday which is too bad and noisy.
Nice hotel with good service and tasty food...Was put up here by the Airline guys when my flight was rescheduled and diverted to Muscat due to sudden fog in U A E. The place relieved us of a lot of tension. A good place that gives a comfortable stay...
I was on a business trip and did find this place in the heart of the city next to my business meetings. Nice spacious room and good deals available at this place when booking online. The buffet spread for breakfast and dinner was good and a place to visit/stay when in Muscat.
Good location. Quick check in. Very quick room service. Attentive staff. Quick and efficient check out. Clean rooms. Good ac. Breakfast spread is poor and needs to be better. The facility is Central location.
After a ten day trip in Oman we stay a few days in this hotel witch is correct hotel in anyway . Nice and clean, good restaurant ,choices buffet or the menu to for fill your whishes. Breakfast buffet is enormous. The room is spacious, king size bed, nice bathroom and very quiet at night what we like . It's lokaded in the middle but far from the beach and you need a car to visit the city. The staff is helpfully and very friendly.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room is spacious and clean and the location is central. There is free parking under the hotel and a supermarket and numerous restaurants nearby. A building is under construction on one side of the hotel.
I stayed 2 nights upon my arrival to Muscat and another night at the end before leaving Oman. The hotel is basic Best Western hotel. But the room was large. Room and bathroom were very clean. What mostly stood out was the service of the staffs. Before I arrived Muscat, I contacted the hotel many times via email, to arrange airport pickup. Mr Ansari replied to all my email very promptly. Since my arrival to Muscat was very late at night, I asked the hotel, via email, to confirm my tour on the following morning and pick up time for me. Mr Ansari did everything as requested. During my stay, I was ill for a day. Room service was great. Front desk staffs and restaurant staffs were very friendly. On my last day, due to late departure flight, I paid extra to check out at 8:00pm. But Mr Noelle, the manager, let me stay even later that evening prior to my leaving for my midnight flight. The hotel might be Best Western but the service was outstanding. The only complaint I had was on food. Food selection was limited, especially on fresh fruits. Breakfast was only buffet and no a la carte. The hotel should offer a la carte breakfast as not every guest had room with breakfast included and not every guest could eat a big breakfast. The only choice not to have breakfast buffet was to get room service.
Stayed in this hotel for 2 night during my business trip. Quite comfortable stay. Buffet breakfast is quite good. Great location if some one wants to explore a few good restaurants. The only problem faced was the Housekeeping service was slow
The room was nice and comfortable, but why do they keep such small water bottles ?! You drink a cup of tea, and take glass of water, and your ‘quota' is over !! I have never understood why some hotel in the Middle East not provide sufficient water in the room ! Especially when it is so hot out there!! Breakfast spread was good, but I think it is quite pricey. The service was ordinary; No smiles… The view of the dining area seen from the glassed Lift is nice! While the airport taxi drivers seem to know this place, other taxi drivers do not seem to know the location. Better to have your Google maps on! I will be traveling again to Muscat. Not sure if I will stay here. Maybe I will go back to Ibis?!
Several of the staff are not friendly! The welcome moment is very bad! There is a welcome drink, but it is almost empty and no one would offer you to have it! They give you the feeling that they are doing you a favor that you will get a room! After all, I can't consider the room as a clean one! The bathroom was disgusting! The tab sink was closed anyway, and no one can open it expect the maintenance staff!! At night I felt as if I'm in an airport because of the noise! Anyhow, they changed my room after I complained, and the other room was very quite!
The Hotel stay was great and all the staff kind and caring I would recommend staying and enjoying the hospitality and the comfort and the food at the Hotel facility. The price is very reasonable the rooms and lobby area has refreshments for the customers.
The room, bathroom, cleanliness, sleep quality, price and service all perfectly ticked boxes. Liked the large central atrium from ground floor to top floor, looking down on the restaurant below. Gym a bit worse than average. Breakfast perfectly good, but I like a nightcap after my dinner and it doesn't give you that option.
Well located Hotel for Business purposes, at Al Khuwair are of Muscat, near to traditional and modern Shopping Centers. Good Restaurant (2 choices of Food type), outstanding Services, acceptable Fitness Center. Large and comfortable rooms.
One night for job trip. Good position in the city, not to far from the airport. Clean rooms and good services. Courtesy at top. Room service fast and polite. Recommended; if i will go back in Muscat I think I'll choose this hotel again.
A hotel located in Muscat, that is central to most of the things located in the area. Within ten minutes to Grand mall, and grand mosque. Hotel location it's on a little said street, but very convenient and the price is good if you are going to be out most of the day. Corniche is very close by almost a 15 minute drive, and also had exciting things to see and great food. Hotel staff were very helpful with directions and we're super friendly just walking through. The hotel also has a nice indoor pool, and gym, sauna fitness room. We didn't have a chance to eat art the hotel, but next time we will :) overall a great experience with no issues, and recommend King room, very spacious and comfortable.
Do not be fooled by the chain name. They fail miserably. Cold water, a so called gym that has low quality equipment as well as missing some crucial ones, and fail in many other Best Western standards.
to Good staff and service. I just found one problem, the swimming pool is open from 8 am to 8 pm. I just stayed there for a week and really liked to go swimming at night but I couldn't. The breakfast was really good, full of different stuffs.
Stayed in many hotels all around the world but this hotel is really special.Amazing staff really helpful right from the housekeeping to the managers.Great choices in the breakfast buffet and also the room services. Also met one of the manager named Noel Francis he was really kind and helpful in answering our every questions regarding Oman.Hope to visit Oman again in d future and staying at your in the near future.Thank you for the amazing hospitality.
They have good attention at the reception, but once you are in the room everything changes, the cleaning is not so good and in the bathroom they do not replenish daily sometime you have to ask for it. But the hotel has spacious rooms, good facilities in general, the breakfast is very poor and the food is not so good
Stayed in this hotel for a night during my business trip. Quite comfortable stay. Buffet breakfast is quite good. Great location if some one wants to explore a few good restaurants. The only problem faced was a long check in time.
Visited Muscat for a weekend last week, was first disappointed with the outrageous price the taxi man made us pay. There was a lot about the 'four star' hotel that was very average, the pool, the restaurant food and the atmosphere. Could not sleep each night that we were there due to construction right outside our room window, late at night and early in the morning. Room was nice, not close to anything and taxis are not cheap.
The hotel best western has great location not so close in center of city but it's enough to take walk around to restaurants and shops near by. If you want to spend less for your stay this hotel will be great for you, especially if you are going into urgent business travel. The only disturb that was a construction works next to hotel I don't know if they finish or not.
This is a well run, friendly and welcoming hotel. The staff during my one week stay were always attentive, polite and courteous. The food ( buffet ) was very good. The room was clean, well presented and a good size. I would be very happy to stay here again. If you're looking for Middle-Eastern glitz and glamour then this probably isn't the hotel for you, but if you're looking for good value for money with a warm welcome and comfortable rooms with good food, well this is probably the place for you. The beach is close by - just a five-minute drive away. Al Khuwair is a relatively busy part of Muscat, yet I found my room to be quiet and peaceful.
I'm please to suggest this hotel to anybody planning a trip to Oman Muscat if alone or with family ! Perfect service ,helpful ,friendly staff making my stay super comfortable. Special thanks to Jun Gentil Jung lady helping me to understand how to move around in moskat ,where to find interesting think for me. Thanks ones again to Jun for her kindness and personal time dedicated to me. Margot .W
I stayed 2 nights in the Best Western Mascate. Good points: The hotel is modern, clean, the rooms are big. Very big and nice shower. The breakfast is really good, you have a big buffet with a lot of choice. Transfer possible from the airport until the hotel. The driver is waiting for you. Bad points: We were 3 and we asked for an extra bed in a room. The mattress of this third bed was a nightmare, it was not a mattress really, it was super hard like a rock; IMPOSSIBLE to sleep on it! The basis of an hotel is to have a good mattress, no? Dear managers please change the mattress of all the extra bed you have or add an over-mattress. The permanent mattress of the beds are "ok". The day after I asked to change it, the guy at the reception said "no problem, we will do something for it". When I came back it was not the case! I really wonder if the guy understood what I said... and I repeated twice my problem! Apart this, the location of the hotel is not good, far from everything, you need a taxi or your own car! Last point the swimming pool is a joke! It is an indoor swimming pool, but pretty little and you have no space to relax near the pool. They built a pool just to say "hey we have a swimming pool", but it would have been better to don't have one because that's a ridiculous one. Results: for a best western which consider itself as a "PREMIER", that's really a shame! If you wish to stay a "PREMIER" you need adjustments, if not please change the range category of your hotel! Hope my comment will help!
This hotel has a long way to go to ensure a comfortable stay. For a four star hotel, it is very disappointing. The beds are very firm making it difficult to sleep. Some like a very firm mattress but not I. The block out curtains are great though as they really do block out the light. It is very quiet also which is great. The non smoking floor means nothing as people still smoke and this wafts into the room. The TV does not accept USB which makes it difficult with young children as there is only one English Channel. The pool is large but has little space around it. We were mostly alone when we used it but when we weren't the two chairs that are there have to be shared with everyone. There is no room for anymore either which is odd. A huge pool but no space to sit or put your stuff beyond just two people. The fitness room is very good and we often had this to ourselves. We didn't eat here as it is very pricey and there are many restaurants nearby that are very good and much cheaper. The taxis outside the hotel are rip offs- you're better to walk an extra 5m to the road and hail one. Often half the price. The staff are friendly but don't inform you of much to do or about transportation etc. Not a hotel I would recommend.
Mediocre location with small rooms.. poor cleanliness & average hotel staff .. food was not good at breakfast .. free internet .. small lobby .. very noisy due to construction nearby..could not sleep at night
Not the best location but you can't walk anywhere in Muscat anyway. Nice rooms, weird pool, good breakfast buffet (for 5 OMR). Worked out perfectly for us, since we went on day trips anyway. It's weird for taxis and cars to get to, but I think so is everything in this city. Great decision for the deal we got on Priceline! They provided power adapters for us and were helpful when we needed.
Good sized rooms and a reasonable night's sleep despite the building site next door. Decor looking a bit tired with carpet unravelling in the corners etc. Breakfast was a very poor affair given the price charged. Particularly when compared with that offered in the hotel where the rest of our team was staying.
The Hotel for itself is okay, but the service is really bad: they are polite if it's seems you have Money, otherwise they don't See, especially when you come - like some fellows travel with us- from Nepal or another "poor" Country
- Room was a a good size and clean - amenities were basic -location was also fine -staff was nice upon checking - staff at the breakfast area was non-existent: i dont even know what they were doing. our table was filled with plates but they dont clean up after you are done. Instead they stand by their small counter on their mobile phone. - also found a hair in the breakfast bowl, informed the staff who removed it. No apologies made - check-out staff was quite rude: we requested for a bill and were told " No because you used agoda.com!". Now I have used booking/agoda worlwide and never heard that you cant get a receipt upon check out !
The Best hotel experience I ever had.. truely amazing.. The staffs are very friendly and provide good service..Facilities like pool, gym, etc are also available... Mini bar is available in the bedroom for light refreshment...
The hotel is nice, clean and looks new, rooms are big enough, well furnished and clean. staff are nice and friendly, location is good however access was a bit difficult for me due to some street work at the time of visit. we visited this summer so i think prices are reduced like most hotels in the city however it's still not cheap.
After a week of trekking and camping in Oman it was a wonderful respite in the BW in Muscat. The hotel looked clean and shiny and the service was impeccable. Got upgraded to a superior room without even asking. Lovely spacious room with 42 inch TV and all the mod cons. Buffet lunch was yummy too. All in all a great stay at a great price.
We have just had two nights in this hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised. It is a newly built hotel (last 4 years) - very clean, very comfortable. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The meals at the restaurant were very tasty and well priced. The chef even went out of his way to prepare a special dish to cater for our dietary needs. The room is clean with lots of light. Good air conditioning to keep it nice and cool. A must when it is so hot outside!!
A mixed review: A pristine new hotel with terrific reception staff who efficiently arranged all my transportation needs, communicating well with me by email before my stay. The buffet meals were of a good standard for this class of hotel in Oman. However, housekeeping forgot to clean my room on my second day. And for whatever bizarre reason, I was awakened at 11.36pm by a member of staff simply wanting to ask if everything was ok with my stay.
Stayed in for one quick night. There were many options in Alkhwair area but found this one of the cheapest in that good categary. It was for 43 OMR. The check in was very fast, I booked a normal superior room but due to high occupany I have been upgraded to a " priemer" one, good gesture from their side. Also booking online didnt need credit card details as you could cancel anytime , i guess. The room is very spacious and clean. Bed is comfy and Huge TV. Staff is friendly and helpful. I asked for dental kit (most hotels dont have it right away in the bathroom , i duno why) and i got it very quick. It is a dry hotel. Wifi is excellent. Swimming pool in the ground floor, is small but good enough. It is Not in the outdoors. GYM is very small as well and i heard they are expanding. Now the things i didnt like: There was one big towel in the bathroom and it is very old and broken! and it seems not all rooms are like this , coz I got out and found the house keeping trolly and saw good towels. How come this is a priemer room and this is missed! Watch beside the bed is a head of time of 30 mins at least, is this a trick ! For light sleepers, please dont take a room in the right side of the hotel, there is construction activities going on. And despite my room being in the highest floor , I still got bothered by it as early as 6:30 am . Although there is a parking lot underground , it is very limited. I got back to the hotel around 1030 PM and didnt find any thing for me, I had to look for one outside. It is congested area. The route to the hotel is difficult. If you are coming from Qurm direction, You need to go to the roundabout and come back again in the service roads where there are many humps.
Among all hotels I visited in my life .. I never faced a hotel with bad service like this one .. The service is really terrible and the receptionist is rude .. I strongly advice to stay away from this hotel .. If I can cancel my booking I would definitely do it right now There is construction near the hotel .. They put me in a smoking room while we requested non smoking .. The receptionist is shouting and screaming like she works in animals shop not an international hotel Simply, poor management.
Clean nice rooms with all the add ons you would expect from a branded hotel. Our room had no view to speak of and the hotel is a bit away from attractions so a cab is a must. Check in was efficient and all staff we encountered were polite and friendly. he pool was adequate but would not class it as a resort pool. It is indoors? Breakfast was ok with variety but really to my taste. All in all a good hotel for transit or business but I guess a family holiday here would be quite boring and frustrating.
Unfortunately visited whilst they are building a new office block right next door, so forget any sleep from about 7am on. All in all hotel is adequate, for all your needs. I was there on business and everything I needed was taken care of from friendly efficient staff to clean and comfortable rooms. Had room service, which was tasty, but as in most Middle East areas breakfasts don't quite measure up, but that's a purely personnel choice. No, it's fine but as I said watch out for the noise - hope they finish soon
A good hotel for business, with all you need for such kind of trips. Rooms are good and breakfast also good enough. There is an small mall nearby where you can have dinner (if you want to out of the hotel)
The hotel is new and have really nice rooms. Locted very centrally in the Al Khuwair business district it is easy to get to any place. The reception staff really makes you feel welcome which is a very important aspect of feeling good about the hotel. the b/fast was very good with a fabulous buffet on offer. Overall a fine place to stay at a very reasonable rate.
Very good hotel. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean with modern and recent furnitures. Service in general was excellent. Staff is very friendly, professional and efficient. Nice indoor swimming pool. The only down thing is the gym. Tiny, very limitted and all old broken down equipment... Totally unusable even for a basic cardio which is not acceptable for a such hotel. Overall a good place to stay.
-< I was going on a business trip to Oman but could not able to decide where to stay while there were many hotels suggested then I found & decided to stay in Best Western Premier Muscat. Best Western Premier Muscat situated in a good, peaceful location at an affordable price while I felt it is a bit expensive hotel if going to stay for a long time but I found it has nice clean rooms, comfortable clean bed, a well time committed room services, laundry & house keeping, a good work station with high speed WiFi internet facility inside the room while I need to check & reply my dozen of business emails everyday >-... -< It also has a small coffee shop offering a variety of coffees & soft drinks with a small but great lobby area that is suitable for business meetings. I had a couple of meetings with my clients in the lobby area and there was no disturbance at all while it was fully packed by some peoples >-... -< During my stay more than 8 nights I just felt like I am at home because I found everyone so much co-operative & kind either front desk guys & girls, waiters, room service guys, house keeping guys, security guys. Especially I would like to say something about Mr. Banty Joseph at front desk and Mr. Farrukh the chef at night duty. Whenever I was feeling lonely / boring I went to Mr. Banty at front desk to talk for a while and disturbed him a lot while he was so busy at work but he talked to me & worked together in good manners. Also Mr. Farrukh one night I forced him to provide me the boiled rice at mid night and without any excuse he provided me the boiled rice. Even in a morning at the breakfast time he cooked special food on my request. Oh I must also say something about Charlene Joyce at front desk, She always called me every afternoon around 12 "Sir do you want to check out today or need to extend your stay" and my answer was "Do you really want me to leave your hotel" then there was a big smile on both sides. Thank you so much guys for your time, kindness, love & care I really appreciate it. >-... -< I really enjoyed my stay in Best Western Premier Muscat hotel and hope to stay there again during my next trip to Oman even would also suggest my other friends to stay in this hotel. Almighty GOD bless us all. (Amen). >-
Returning to Muscat for the first time in over a year, I was unable to use my regular hotel so I chose this one to try something different. On the whole the experience I had was an average one for the price paid, nothing special. Rooms were large and clean, staff mostly attentive. Pool was tiny, with no adjoining changing facilities, other than the toilets? And yet there are two loungers and an empty pop-up kids pool? Clearly more thought needed in this regard. My one sour note was that I had arranged through my company that I would fly out a few days early in order to visit friends. Effectively making a second booking for the first three days. On arrival, I signed all the paperwork, or at least I thought I did. When I returned on the fourth day of the stay I found that my room key had been deactivated. I then had to go to reception, with all my work gear to sign a second set of paperwork and have a protracted argument about payment which had already been made, despite showing them an email from their own reception! No one could offer an explanation why they had done it like this, probably because it was their mistake!
I stayed in this hotel for about 6 weeks in the kitchenette suite, quiet a long stay although the breakfast has a good variety of items to choose from and you wont be bored of the items repeating. The hotel suite was well maintained although the lighting in the rooms are pretty weak. The service was great in general, room service, maintenance and cleanliness of the place was very good. The GYM is in bad condition and requires a refurbish, the smell of food from the hotel kitchen is always lingering in the GYM. Location of the hotel is quiet central and you would be able to access many of the malls and other places located in Muscat, although bear in mind Oman in general is a very large country. The staff were very friendly and did their best to meet whatever was required during my stay. Special thanks to Jun for the great hospitality, she never failed to greet at breakfast with a pleasant smile and was very helpful during the stay. For a long stay at this hotel, this was a good experience.
I really liked this place. We stayed here for 1 day and then extended it for another 2 days. I have see the best western hotel in Trondheim in Norway and it is really not comparable. The best Western hotel in Muscat is really a top quality hotel considering the very low and reasonable price. If the hotel could serve alcohol, then it would be a 5 star review.
This hotel is definitely a cut above many others in Muscat and is very reasonably priced. My sleeping room was large and included an equally large bathroom. The breakfast was included in the rate and offered a good buffet as well as omelette station. I would definitely stay here again when in Muscat.
BW Premier is neat, compact, good hospitality, good food, wifi, nice view of the hillock, located very close to the Grand Mall and Lulu market within 5 mins of cab ride, clean bed, good work station - what else can you ask for. A small but good coffee shop. Get some good Arabic coffee in the lounge with some tasty cookies.
When on a Business Trip all that one looks for is a comfortable & clean bed, hygienic toilet, a good workstation, high-speed internet & a coffee maker, all packed in Hotel that is centrally located. Best Western Premier Muscat provides all this at an attractive price. I had an opportunity to work on a business proposal with a friend for 4 hours. He had checked into of the rooms and invited me up to the room. The Rooms on the 7th Floor - on the rear side was noise less. The furniture was comfortable and the TV at an eye-pleasing level.
Upon moving to Oman, I stayed at the Best Western Premier Muscat for almost two months (Jan - Feb 2016) before moving into an apartment. The rooms are quite large and well appointed. The colour scheme is a bit dark for my taste and the lighting could be brighter. The bathroom is normal sized, does not have a bath-tub but the shower stall is generous and fully equipped. The room was kept very clean. Service level overall (reception, restaurant and housekeeping) was very good. Polite, hospitable and efficient. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good quality and decent variety. As I did some research on prices throughout Muscat, the rates at the Best Western are competitive without being cheap. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short or longer business trip.
Typical of Omani hospitality, this hotel welcomed us with open doors at 4am with a room waiting for us after long flying. With modern decor, it is located near the government district and within walking distance of mosques, local eateries and some shops. A taxi or driver is recommended to travel to the larger malls. Rooms are typical of most equivalent hotels around the world however the service is what sets this hotel apart. Breakfast buffet is available with a wide variety on offer. Dinner and lunch are sometimes buffet, supplemented with a menu offering.
We had a fabulous room, the hotel was very modern with a glass lift which was impressive! Breakfast was nice with a decent selection, although the chocolate pastries we not worth bringing out. The car park was a little tight! But overall we had a very comfortable stay!
Wasnt expecting much based on stays in other best westerns however this hotel was fantastic. Modern, clean, and well maintained. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was stylish and had plenty of space. Really enjoyed my stay here and will return on next visit to Muscat.
It's an ok hotel, but a bit expensive for what you receive. I found the internet spotty, and the breakfast was stale and underwhelming. The staff service overall though is quite good, and people go out of their way to be helpful
The hotel is located in Al Khuwair were there is nothing much to roam around. It is far from the malls and only accessible thru expensive taxi if you want to venture to Qurum beach and etc. The concierge service was impeccable however room service was so so. Food was just great. The rooms were comfortable and offered a good night sleep. WIFI signal is strong.
First the good points: Helpful staff. Convenient parking. Walking distance to a few outside restaurants. Free WiFi. Breakfast had quite a lot of variety (for non-vegetarians). HDMI cable provided with TV. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Now the Negatives: Fan blower speed cannot be controlled on the A/C (it kept on changing speed automatically). Water temperature kept on suddenly changing in the shower. Room door lock did not work (latch was the only savior). No plug point near bed. Only one free plug point in the whole room near desk. TV signal was erratic. Very limited vegetarian food options. Toothbrush, shampoo, shaving kit, comb not provided. No master switch to switch off lights before sleeping (each light has to be put off individually). Elevator got stuck while carrying 8 people even though capacity mentioned was 16 people! Reward points not credited because booking wasn't done through their website. Name on the invoice at check-out was wrong and correcting it wasted time. They did not have non-smoking King Bed available even though it was selected at the time of booking.
A good city centre hotel but very much centered on business clients. Rooms are adequately sized, staff are well above average and rooms are clean. Only ate breakfast as we were going on to Sohar but food is tasty and served as a buffet
Located a short stroll away from popular restaurants and cafes this hotel is a great base for sightseeing in Muscat. Taxi from the airport is 8 OMR. The Royal Opera House Grand Mosque, and local attractions are easily accessible by taxis. (Muscat is not very pedestrian friendly and there did not appear to be public transport.) Breakfast is very satisfying with good service by the staff. The rooms are quite spacious, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the dates and coffee in the lobby. No complaints.
PRO. Large comfortable with room and bathroom will all amenities including flat panel TV, mini-frig, hair drier, good sized closet. Hotel and room very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Very good buffet breakfast included in price. Good WIFI throughout hotel and in room. Good location near to ministries. CON. Not much of a view. Not so close to market or restaurant by foot. Need more lights in the room at night. BEWARE. There is a potential taxi scam: I prepaid a taxi for 3AM (a hefty 12OMR for a 10 minute ride!) only to find another passenger entered my cab who was either paying the same like me (so driver gets double) or not paying at all (so I have to pay for both). I complained to the desk manager but to no avail. This is completely unfair and left me with a very bad taste in my mouth after an otherwise nice stay. Therefore no 5-stars.
Positives : 1. Centrally located 2. Professional & courteous staff 3. Good breakfast 4. Taxi stand below the hotel 5. Parking available ( could have been better planned) 6. 30 mins from Muscat airport 7. Starbucks outlet at the lobby level 8. Omani fusion restaurant at the lobby level 9. Spacious & clean rooms Negatives: 1. No bar 2. Limited TV channels Will highly recommend this hotel to regular business travellers. Will return. Room Tips: higher the better & the ones away from the lift (less noisy)
The rooms are very clean - what you need for few nights stay if you wanna spend your day out on business day or sightseeing. I am very picky, if I say it is worth the stay here then it is. There is nothing much to see around. I been to the two most expensive hotels in Muscat. Just normal pool and very simple beach, nothing extreme for what they charging. Come on, not even close to being in Maldives. Prices are ridiculous for something so simple. this is why this hotel make it to my best choice to stay in Muscat. Stuff is great - My favorito person in the whole hotel is the bellboy. He always have a huge smile. Keep it up boy.
This is my 2nd hotel in Muscat and believe or not, I did not expect to enjoy my stay in this hotel. I'm still there for a business trip and haven't checked out yet but for the last 5 days I had nothing but positive experience. Rooms are very clean and very spacious !! Big Flat TV screen and comfortable bed. It has all the amenities a 4 stars hotel offers and the decoration is nice. Staff is helpful and their attitude is friendly. Breakfast isn't the best but much better than expected. Room service is fast and price is reasonable. Wifi signal is excellent however you're limited to 1mbps only. The only uncomfortable thing is the location as road work down there is annoying but I hope it gets better with time. Definitely worth the money. It's our new favorite hotel.
Incredibly bad attitude from hotel management when dealing with corporate booked accounts. Hotel also took the UK food allowance and charged a rate at 75% of the exchange rate. Left a bad taste. Rooms are OK but for some reason we're very warm despite it being February and cool outside, would be interesting to see this in summer. If you are driving or hire a car beware that parking is extremely limited and spaces are very small so be prepared to struggle. There is no valet parking and no guarantee of space.
I stayed here on a business trip and I definitely would recommend it. On the first night the room was quite noisy and the staff immediately got me moved to another. Anything I needed help with was not a problem to the staff. Buffet breakfast has a great selection. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. There is a Starbucks coffee kiosk in reception and Omani cafe that served great quick snacks. When I visit Oman again on business I will stay here.
I'm very happy to stay again this hotel..excellent service from all department front office reception house keeping and Restaurent room service,,,also very good sleeping quality room, good breakfast totally helpful staff specially mr.noel reservations/front office manager,,also mr.ansar/ms.challerne and joylene was excellent and very helpful...I recommend to stay best western premier in Muscat and all over...best regards...Mohnish.b
i was been in this hotel on the April 2013. it was a flawless residence in the Muscat. every day after my whole working day i come back to hotel and i had a nice recreation. breakfast in hotel is a best, the stuff of the hotel is very responsible and kind-hearted. the rooms is very clean and comfortable. thank you for hospitality, i hope in future i will come back.
Two nights in the city and the Best Western proved perfect. Nice rooms. Helpful staff. underground parking. Buffet breakfast although basic was ample and set the day off nicely. Great recommendation from staff for local attractions. WiFi signal good. (Skype is blocked in Oman)
No views from the room, but the hotel is conveniently located just 5-minute drive away from the shopping malls. Buffet breakfast had a good variety, wifi fast, rooms were comfortable and I had the chance to go for a short swim in the small indoor pool they had. The hotel also has a decent gym, sauna and a Starbucks coffee chain at its lobby. Staff from the concierge desk to the restaurant managers were friendly and I would like to commend Mr Raju Lama for his helpful and winsome service right from when we alighted from the taxi. Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely return.
Finished up a winter break before flying home and it was bliss! For a family room we were given interconnecting rooms and they were great. Both rooms were spotless and all hotel staff fabulous. Food portions were huge in the restaurant , never finished my bolognaise once! Taxis to big mall 10 mins away were generally 10 rials. This seemed expensive compared to what we are used to and so a trip there and back soon racked up. (£40 return) However, there we are, able to get one right outside a lovely hotel in a Gulf country. Would definitely recommend and return!
I was on a long term assignment in Muscat and flying in and out for 3 months. I have stayed at this hotel for a very long time (including Ramadan) and can safely call it my second home. The staff is very helpful and will go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are exceptionally large and very well equipped. Beds are great and ensure a comfortable rest. There is a sofa as well in the room for those TV moments. The wifi was good (and free) and for a change this was one hotel where lighting wasnt a challenge! I liked the simple but functional breakfast spread. The location of the hotel is nice, close to major offices and a (long) walk from food street. But the staff will arrange for a trustworthy taxi (haggle with the driver for a good price) and you're set.
I arrived at midnight after a long drive from Dubai and the staff were very courteous and helpful when I arrived with my room ready. I checked out the following morning at 9am. A pleasant and enjoyable stay.
The hotel is half way between the airport and the city of Muscat. Nothing special about the lobby and entrance. Spacious clean rooms with basic amenities and free wifi. Plenty of TV channels in several languages were available which was nice . Staff are nice and breakfast is average. Not bad for a few nights of stay if the location suits you. Over all a trouble free stay.
Stayed in this hotel for over a month and was staying for days in between and location and rates were the deal breaker. Close to our office and the malls in Muscat. No frills hotel but I did enjoy my stay. Recommendable specially if you are to move to Muscat permanently.
I stayed here for 6 nights in November 2015. The staff were friendly and helpful and always polite. I arrived to be given a smoking room which I di not want but the staff changed me the next morning after NS rooms became available. Good breakfast and good coffee at the coffee bar but the meal in the adjoining burger type café was somewhat disappointing. This did not really detract from my stay and I would recommend this hotel.
The Best Western Premier hotel in Muscat is a very good hotel. It is only a couple of years old and well kept. Everything is very clean. Check in and guest services are wonderful. Good restaurant and coffee house. Try the spaghetti. My favorite.
I visited this hotel in November 2015 for a brief period of 2 Nights, check-in was fast and we were placed in our rooms within 20 mins of entering the hotel, Rooms were similar to any 4 start hotel, entrance was a bit crammed up as it has an Almirah just near the entrance which makes the walk into the room little cramped. Rooms did not have ambient light and in nights even with all the lights onn it seems dark, View from my room was this big warehouse, Breakfast was Ok Ok, you have limited choices but that is accepted. There is a starbucks coffee at the entrance but without any board its hard to Identify until u ask, I am a regular in Muscat and usually stay in Park inn which is much more centrally located and have much more options nearby, Would prefer Park inn over Best Western
Was not as expected at all. Sooms are ok but room service was terrible as well as the on room dining menue. I wouldn't stay there again The view from my room was terrible. Looking to an old scrap yard.
The room was big and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. The shower was not particularly hot either in the evening or the morning, having said that it was perfectly adequate. It is not in the prettiest area but taxis are easy to get (about half the price if you walk 30 yards away from the hotel and like to haggle!). The glass lifts inside the hotel were my favourite bit. Reception staff were helpful and it does have a Starbucks.
The good points: the rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. there is a kettle and tea/coffee and two small bottles of water in each room and a small minibar with snacks. The beds are large and mattresses firm and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is extensive with a good selection of cereals, croissants/pastries, arabic foods and cooked breakfast options - although there is no marmalade and the bread is poor (and sometimes stale). And finally they offer free wifi in the rooms and communal areas. Log in once and you don't have to log in again. Now the not so good points: the least good thing about the hotel is its location - surrounded by large roads, there is a constant hum of traffic and little to do in the vicinity. The views from the windows are dual carriageways and a yard full of scrapped cars. There are two restaurants the other side of the dual carriageway; one of which, the Al Aktham, is ok for Indian food. Otherwise there is nothing in the neighbourhood and one needs to take a taxi (or walk for 30 minutes) to find any decent restaurants or malls. It is a 20-30 minutes taxi ride from Muttrah which should cost OMR 3-4 but they will ask for OMR 7, so you have to bargain hard! The hotel boasts a gym and pool. The pool is not pleasant, too hot and walls have peeling paint. The gym is small and the exercise bikes are both broken; there is no rowing machine and no weights machine although there are some lifting bars, two running machines and two step machines. The a la carte restaurant/room service menu is simple but disappointing: expensive for what it is the cooking is not of a high standard: the cheese fettuccine was piping hot, but very stodgy. The gnocchi was unavailable and the curry bland. Oh and there is no business centre. This is definitely a hotel for those travelling on business who will spend little time in the hotel but want a comfortable room in which to sleep.
We were totally satisfied with our stay at BWP hotel. The check in and checkout were quick with no waste of time. The staff was quite cooperative. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. There was some clogging of water in shower area which needs to be addressed. Breakfast was decent and attached restaurants interesting. All in all good for business travellers and value for money. I would definetly recommend to friends and fellow travellers.
My company put me up in this great hotel while I was visiting Muscat. Rooms - Great size and lovely beds which I must state are really comfy. Didn't want to get up. Bathroom is of a nice size but the rainfall shower has to be the best part. Super clean which was great to see. Generally shower heads are full of mold or other interesting things but I was happy to see it was super clean! Major plus from my side. Hotel - Nicely laid out hotel! Easy access to rooms and lifts. Not 100% sold on the Starbucks in the lobby as it can be operated as a proper Starbucks which would be amazing. Location - not the most easiest to get to but when u do it is a treat.
This was my seventh trip to Muscat, but the first time in Best Western. I took the decision to try something for a change and I was not disappointed. The check-in was fast and smooth. The rooms were huge and very appropriately lit. Even the rest rooms were huge and well maintained. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I personally felt that the breakfast menu offered less options than other hotels, but whatever they offered was delicious. Even the room service was very good and very prompt. Overall, it was a very nice experience, especially for the kind of business trip I was in I would recommend this hotel everyone travelling to Muscat.
Well Muscat is totally expensive but if you try book for value of money,I recommend you to book in Tulip or etc that are around . Reception are nice and helpful specially there is guy named RAJU! but management is really poor.my refrigerator was broke and nobody took care of it , there is no special room services available to the room,I did call reception about 3p.m and she just said no there is no food!! Wifi is good!! You will need to hire a care or take a taxi because nothing is around and for walking was too warm for me.
We were on the seventh floor and our room was very noisy due to a generator on the roof. The friendly staff helpfully changed our room when we asked. Breakfasts were nice with lots of choice. It was easy to get taxis right outside the hotel.
This hotel is great. The rooms are great for the Star Rating and the Service is good. The Breakfast and Lunch Buffet items could use some continue improvement, but overall really good. The location is fantastic.
Stayed here for a night on Friday with friends. Great little hotel, comfortable and clean and in a good location. Breakfast was a little poor but the coffee shop (Starbucks) was a winner and easy access in and around the city. Would recommend for a last minute trip like we did
I spent two weeks at Best Western Primer Muscat Hotel . I really liked this place! I liked atmosphere of the hotel! Room and service was excellent . I want to say thanks for Iveta and Charalene (guest relations executive) for there help thay were very friendly and tried to help me every time and thanks also for Raju for help every time
Despite being small, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu was basic but there is a Starbucks and a nice concept restaurant downstairs Service was good and the staff were generally friendly. I would stay here again. The hotel is not on the main road so not all the taxis can find it easily.
The room was spacious with great bed to sleep on. The location is 30 minutes drive from Airport and not too far from city centre. It's 10 minutes drive to one of the biggest mall in Muscat, Oman Avenue Mall, and about 20 minutes to the traditional market, Muttrah souq. The staffs were very friendly. A filipino lady received us and she gave us late check out as well. Before arriving I made a last minute call for a car pick up and they did it perfectly. Small restaurant on the side served good food. The bigger one served business lunch (buffet) with decent rate. Wifi was free and worked fine.
Muscat is a beautiful place and we did not need much in terms accommodation. When we got there the the king size rooms we requested were not available and we got singles instead. Our room was cleaned only at 4pm which is the time you get back from your day out and need to get cleaned up. Try not to stay near the elevator as the locking mechanism makes a lot of noise. Breakfast was good nothing special and all in all just a very very average stay
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The rooms are nice, spacious enough but not huge. The bathroom has shower, not bathtub, but this is not a problem. The hotel is nice, close to city center, staff is very friendly and courteous, always with a smile (thank you for that). Breakfast was good. The parking underground is a little bit tight, but you can park also in the street. I would recommend this hotel for short stays. Will definitely stay there again.
Good rooms which are pretty spacious. Fortunately internet connectivity is very good in rooms. Breakfast is fine though with a limited selection. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity so eating out wouldn't be a problem. Bathrooms are very clean though slippery possibly due to an overuse of detergent or cleaners. Well maintained place probably because it's reasonably new.
I have stayed at BW Premier Muscat .My over stay was satisfactory .Except for the Fitness club i advise to keep few Yoga Mats for the floor exercise in the Fitness club. Rest my over all experience was very good .
