Best Western Hotel Eagles Inn, Morehead

Shoddy and broken furniture. Dangerous bathtub with absolutely nothing to keep someone from slipping/falling like I did. No I did not identify as needing handicap features--I do not--I do expect a bathtub that is safe. No one cared except for the medics that arrived. Will never stay at Best Western again.

I am very sorry about the incident you had. We have taken the proper precautions with the bathtub to insure its safety for everyone. I apologize that we fell short to totally provide you with a completely safe environment during your stay. I do know that our front desk agent did everything within her reach to make sure the tub was safe for the duration of your stay. Due to the fact we were sold out we could not relocate you to another room. I again apologize for the disheartening and experience you had with us.

We were attending a wedding near here. The staff is super friendly, breakfast was a welcome, good coffee and our room was set up nice. Our only gripe was the air was running but it was humid in our room and didn't sleep well b/c of it. But, they have someone looking into in maintenance so shouldn't be an issue for anyone now.

The hotel seemed fairly new, but the way the room was set up, the way the breakfast was displayed, we can't complain at all. This was a very enjoyable stay! We only stayed one night, but I would definitely stay there again, if we come through that area again! Also the staff was very friendly! As a guest that's very much appreciated!!!

Everyone was so nice and everything was super clean. The only issue we had was with the water, it would only be cold no matter which way you turned it, then later in the day, the opposite. It was super weird but I was impressed with everything else. Definitely going here next time we're in town.

The general manager just kept taking money off of my husbands card without permission. When she was notified, she said it was an “accident.” The other girl named Shelby was extremely rude on the phone

I again apologize for the issue with your credit card. Your card was refunded for the night it was charged and your husbands was a pending authorization that will be credited back to his account. I do understand that your husbands card was only supposed to cover the night that your card would not approve for, instead it was authorized for both nights, that is why you will see a refund back to your card for the one night. Very nice hotel. We've had very good experiences with Best Western in the past, and decided to try this one. It was awesome. Very clean hotel, front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Amazingly low price for our king bed room. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary hot breakfast was very good. A lot of breakfast options for everyone. Highly recommend this hotel.

Clean rooms; pleasant staff, and hot coffee. Close to everything in Morehead. There is a 1/4 mile concrete track around the hotel so 8 times around is 2 miles. The entrance to the rooms is accessed from the interior so I felt safe.

We were on way home and got caught in snowstorm. Thankfully we found this best western. Shelby was great in checking us in and with great service in helping find food for us. Breakfast was very good. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more of the hotel

Front Desk Clerk was great for advice on the local area and quick fix for the television. Breakfast was great and the selection was tremendous. The room was very nice and the bathroom was older version however great working condition. Beds were very comfortable, unfortunately our alarm interrupted the sleep.

This hotel is great it actually looks like the pictures you see online, well worth the money. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room actually had ZERO smoke smell! Very clean. Everything worked. Halls were well lit. Mattresses had mattress covers (helps prevent bug infestation), room was stocked with everything i needed, heat worked well. Only complaint i had was the bed was way too hard for me. But excellent stay overall so surprised!

Check in host in the evening was fantastic very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Parking was ample and well lit. We live that we were able to use our military discount - better than AAA.

I've done the drive across I-64 in Kentucky on numerous occasions and this hotel was by far the best. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was definitely impressed by the quality of the room and the hotel. I paid under $100 for a clean room that was spacious and comfortable. Morehead is the kind of place along the interstate where there aren't a ton of food options, but there are enough to hold you over for a night or two. Having a Cracker Barrel close by is always a win in my book. The hotel is easily accessible from I-64 at Exit 137. I would definitely stay here again

My family and I had a great visit to Morehead. This hotel exceeded expectations. The room was very very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was AWESOME! The hotel staff was great and extremely helpful. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling thru the area.

This is a hotel off the interstate and very accessible. We were attending a festival in Flemingsburg Ky and it was convenient for us. The hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable and the pillows were great. The entire staff that i had contact with were very friendly and courteous. We did not use the pool or attend the breakfast but they looked good. I would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel in good condition. Mexican restaurant very close by, Don Señor, which has big portions. Very convenient to highway. Has electric vehicle charging stations (Tesla Destination charger) with 2 Tesla and one non-Tesla connector. Good digital TV.

So glad we chose Best Western on our way to and from the Smokey Mts. Rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable, and the front desk staff was great! Shelby was 1 of the front desk worker's who went above and beyond to make sure our needs were attended to in regards to my husband being disabled. They also provide a great breakfast that included sausage biscuits/gravy! The location felt safe, everything you would need was in close proximity, and easy access to I-64. We are looking forward to our next stay for sure! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so pleasant! 5 stars plus!

Very clean room and great customer service at the front desk to find me a more quiet room when hotel was sold out. Grabbing breakfast at 6am sharp was a breeze and everything was ready to go on time. Have been here several times over the past few years and always the same great experience!

Our stay was perfect. Zero problems. Room was clean and hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly. All together our family rented 3 rooms and there were 12 of us total. We all had clean rooms and no problems.

I stayed here last fall and really enjoyed it, so I stopped by on my way back from a four week cross country trip. The room was quite nice and spacious. And this was the best breakfast that I had in my four week trip. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The location is fairly convenient. A few places to eat within walking distance. A Wal Mart is fairly close. And a quaint college town is a short drive up and over the hill. And, if you have a bicycle, there are great roads to ride on around here.

Stayed here on business. Great location, updated hotel and decor. Parking lot was a bit tight. Overall I would stay here again. Room and bathroom were clean and the shower had great pressure. Also the Mexican restaurant next door had great food and service.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and the entire place was clean. Pretty quiet due to less travelers during this time. Breakfast was nothing but a granola bar and bottle of water due to COVID. But that was understandable and I believe the low room rate made up for no breakfast.

This Best Western was a very nice hotel. Rooms were very nice, beds comfortable and personnel friendly and helpful and location was great, very close to where we had engagement at. We were in Morehead, Kentucky for a football game at the University which was very close to this hotel. Had a great breakfast and enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at the Eagles Inn for 1 night and it was enjoyable and uneventful. The staff were friendly and I would recommend anyone staying in the area to stay at the BEst Western Eagles Inn. The hotel was clean and coffee was great.

This is a great hotel for the price. You get what you need to spend a night before a meeting. The hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good and included a few things that some continental breakfast does not. The rooms were also furnished very nice.

Friendly staff, always pleasant stay. Rooms are very accommodating while traveling away from home. Not home but when working it's much nicer to stay where you feel you are welcome. I would recommend for an over night stay or a weekly stay.

The front desk clerk was so helpful! She was able to suggest some good restaurants in the area, and we were pleased with her selection. Breakfast could have been better, they had tornadoes but did not provide breakfast meat. But it was well stocked, and monitored so it stayed well stocked, and the coffee tasted good. The turn to get in or out of the drive lane leading to the hotel is a bit tough, but I would still stay there again if I am in the area.

The standard queen room was on the small side. Nice pool but no hot tub. Mold/stain around the sink drain. They had games to check out and posted tomorrow's breakfast the night before. Good outlets by the bed. Good breakfast. But there are mainly 2 person tables with limited ability to rearrange them to allow a family to sit together. The room was very humid. The parking lot had several electric vehicle charging stations.

We enjoyed another stay at Eagles Inn on our way to Nashville. Had a relaxing evening, used the heated pool, and caught up with my emails & facebook using their Wi Fi. Got a good night's sleep and had a good breakfast the next morning before heading out. I've always enjoyed my stays at Eagles Inn and look forward to my next trip that way.

This is our second time staying at Morehead best western, on our way to Florida. This is a very clean hotel. We enjoyed staying here, we will diffently stay here again, our room was clean and smelled fresh only minor thing I had to ask for shampoo no problem. The pool was great after a days travel and the breakfast was wonderful, lot to choose from.

If you are in town, this place will give you the best experience for sure. Not even a fair comparison with other accommodation options around. Clean rooms with proper amenities including gym and pool. Too bad my kids didn't get to use the pool but other family that was traveling with my family said pool was nice.

This Best Western, like almost all that I have stayed at (almost), was clean and friendly. Everything worked and functioned properly, smelled good, looked good, breakfast was good, location was good. Nothing to complain about. Good stay at a good value.

This property is conveniently located but a lack of attention to detail in upkeep suggests that travelers consider other options. The room's desk chair was broken [leaned to the right], the other chair had been sat in by a very large person and offered no seat support [big sag], and the faucet in the bathroom sink leaked.

we were on a working weekend for family and it was wonderful to come to a nice clean quiet hotel at the end of a hard day to unwind kick back and relax. Then have a nice breakfast to start the new day and go hard at it again

All good here. The staff was friendly, the room was very nice and clean. Good bed, TV, and Wifi. Totally reasonable breakfast. As a general rule, I like Hampton Inns...but, this BW was fine. Note: some apps and GPS will show this hotel as a Holiday Inn Express.

I've stayed here three times thus far. Staff is always friendly, and courteous. My favorite hotel in the area, and my mother was has stayed at all in the area prefers BW above all others. Extremely pet friendly too

Great stay during MSU Homecoming weekend. This was the second year that I stayed at this hotel and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Thanks to the class of 66-68 whom make my stay the best! The hotel is very accommodating and the rooms are nice and big.

Absolutely Great place to stay. Lots of amenities for everyone. So nice to be able to get breakfast there on site and you can enjoy it in the dining area, in your room or on the go, with food choices for all ages. The free newspaper is a lovely addition too, not to mention all of the free coffee that you can stand along with teas too. Enjoy your stay, we did, and we will be back again!!!

We were in town for a wedding and chose this hotel based on other reviews. Room was very clean and looked like it had been recently updated. Beds were comfortable and no traffic noise. Located next to the State Highway Patrol station so no worries about security. Breakfast was a little below average for hotel breakfast, but there are plenty of nearby restaurants.

We stopped here at 9:00 pm. We got checked in quickly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and plentiful. We did not eat until 9:15am but the hostess made sure that we had plenty of hot and fresh food. We were pleased with our brief stay.

Our one night visit at this property was the right decision in Morehead. It began with a welcome goody bag. The clean room was tastefully appointed and had pillow top mattresses and multiple pillows. Free Wi/Fi was a bonus as well as multiple charging stations and data ports. Indoor pool, Exercise room. Flat screen TV. mini frig and microwave, The free breakfast was,without a doubt, the best I have ever experienced at any hotel. It included scrambled and hard boiled eggs, pancakes/waffles, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, hot and cold cereals, bagles, danish, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, assorted juices, coffee, and milk. It's no small wonder why this property earned a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor.

great place to stay very nice staff very clean indoor pool is great but little expensive price is more than any other hotel around. if you plan to stay there you will love it but be prepared to pay a lot to stay I do stay there every October. I got a best western credit card and let family members use then I cash points in and get at least I free night with points every year

This establishment is my go-to place to stay when in the area. The hotel is clean, the staff is amazing,(friendliest group of people EVER), the complimentary breakfast is hot, varied and plentiful. There is coffee all day and, I really have no negatives to say.

I was delighted to note that the room and the entire place was very clean, and smelled great. It seems like too often in hotels that something is overlooked in cleaning, or bad smells lurk. The room was small, but it's worth it to have the cleanliness. There seems to be an effort to keep everything really tidy, even the halls. I never ran across a whiff of weird smells during my entire stay. Thanks!

It was about midnight and we were driving home from NYC to KY and we were tired. We saw a number of hotels on the sign at Morehead so we got off the exit and I looked up tripadvisor and saw this hotel was top rated so we went there. Glad we did. Very friendly. Nice soft bed. Good nights sleep and good breakfast in the morning.

In Morehead I've stayed at Day's Inn, and Hampton Inn and thus far I've enjoyed BW the most. Fair price on pets per night ($30),breakfast was good, and they made accommodations for my elderly mother. The staff was extremely friendly too, and not in that fake way either.

Everything at this hotel was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and was one of the best sleep I have received at any hotel. Breakfast menu was satisfying and the staff was excellent to work with.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are amazing, and the coffee is 24/7. Love it. They're also pet friendly. I have stayed here twice, and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year for business. In a small town like Morehead, there are not a lot of options, but for the location and price, this facility is very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel was clean...it is obvious that the management cares about the customer experience. The rooms are efficient, but comfortable. The large tv with an array of channels was nice as well. If traveling to Morehead, this is a nice place to stay.

This hotel is on the main drag near Morehead and near the Interstate. It is close to area restaurants and shopping. It is a nice hotel and the rooms are nice. It has an indoor pool which is pretty small but O K . It is convenient to MSU campus which is 4 miles away. Our family has stayed here multiple times.

Wasn't expecting much but was very much surprised and impressed with the price and facility. Room was very clean. Breakfast was remarkable with pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Fresh coffee at all hours also.

The hotel was one of the best I have stayed in. Clean, friendly and very helpful. The room was great. Will stay here again when visiting Morehead and since I have a son at the University I will be traveling there lots during the next four years.

We just needed overnight stay with WiFi for homework. The room was spacious and super clean. The bathroom was modern and good brand of shampoos and soap. The bed was comfortable and the heat was welcome until 2am when we got hot. But the cool air worked well too. Would defiystay here again. And have relatives stay here too if we move to Morehead area.

My brother had a stroke and we had to find a place that would allow a dog. This motel did and was extremely helpful from check in to check out. The staff is amazing and the breakfast was oh so good!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Morehead, KY

We were only here for an overnight stay but we were impressed with this property. Hotel is located near the interstate, restaurants and shopping centers. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

I judge a hotel by whether or not I would stay there again. I would definitely visit and stay at the Best Western in Morehead Kentucky again. It was clean, modern, and the breakfast was above average.

I highly recommend the Best Western in Morehead, Kentucky if you traveling along I-65. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were very clean as well as the lobby and breakfast room. Breakfast was filling and delicious.

Have stayed here several times and each time like it better. Best pool and exercise room in 60 miles and best breakfast at a similar motel in Kentucky. Very clean and comfortable.Beds are exceptional and heating/ac are comfortable.

The room was just ok (smelly carpet and a loose towel rack), but breakfast was pretty good and the pool was nice and warm, lots of fun. There was a restaurant right next door which meant some noise at night.

This was a clean easy to access hotel with a pool! Hotel was on the pricey side as I have stayed on the beach in a resort for cheaper than I stayed here per night great hotel tho gr8 staff nice place to stay!! Clean rooms. And clean pool. Breakfast was descent but had many different things to choose from.

I stayed (unfortunately) only one night at this nice BW hotel in Morehead. I am a BW Platinum member and I have seen many BW hotels in the U.S. This is definitely one of the best. The hotel was very clean and in a good shape. There is even a walking trail around the building. Breakfast was awesome. Nothing to complain about :-) Across the parking lot/street is a Domino's pizza restaurant.

This was a great place to stop for one night while traveling the interstate. The location is slightly off the main road, but not that hard to find. The building and rooms are clean and in very good condition. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a number of restaurants nearby. A positive for us is that they are pet-friendly.

Although this hotel isn't in a glamorous area, the building itself is very nice. Pretty landscaping, inviting breakfast area, and clean, wide hallways. The lady who check me in was very kind. The room was great. There is a nice Mexican restaurant right next door. I felt very comfortable in this area.

We stayed here one night with family while we boated at Cave Run Lake. Our first stay at this location. It will continue to be our "backup choice" when we come back next summer. Pros: Extremely clean, great breakfast, good location near highway and restaurants. Cons: Limited parking (difficult when you have a boat), very firm beds, smaller than average and crowded room.

Stopped at several locations in area, but decided not to stay. Finally we found the Eagles Inn. A great place to stay. Often times in small cities there is a lack of quality motels. Not in Morehead, this is one friendly and clean places to stay. Common areas and rooms were outstanding. Clean neat and qualities of more expensive motels. Breakfast was ample with some proteins like sausages and eggs. Rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed with very clean bathrooms. Staff was attentive and helpful. A must for anyone traveling in the area...

The folks who manage this establishment should train the high end hotels and motels in customer service.....why you ask!? Because I was treated like the only customer in the world on our recent stay. From check in to check out, never a slip in service with a smile and greeting. We stayed two nights last week. Pros... room clean bed comfortable all common areas clean. Breakfast area well stocked. Usual breakfast items with some healthy choices available. Plenty of parking in well lit lot. Elevator for second floor access. Did not use the exercise room so cannot give opinion on it Cons bathroom is small so truly only one person can be in there and then it is tight. Best of all this is a non smoking motel. No nasty cigarette smells!!!

Would go there again in a heartbeat.It is a shame all hotels do not have the same type of wonderful service.The food is good. They have a nice gym and a wonderful swimming pool. First time staying here on our way out west. Very clean and comfortable. Staff is warm and friendly; very accommodating, let us park our mc and trailer under the portico right out front! Gave us a goody bag with a chamois to wipe off our mc, 2bottles of water, sunscreen, chapstick, and animal crackers and popcorn. Great treatment...hope the other BW hotels on our trip are as accommodating. Thanks for making our stay so nice.

I have been staying here for work, several times a month for the past 6 months. The staff here are so sweet. They remember me and my preferences. They were having sausage for breakfast and one staff who knows I prefer bacon, told me she was going to make some bacon for me, but didn't know what time I would come down to breakfast. I mean, where can you get such great service nowadays. The rooms are recently remodeled. They are always clean. Nice linens and pillows are awesome. Beds are a little too firm for my liking, but I'm fond of a super soft mattress. Refrigerator and microwave in every room. Coffee in the lobby (24 hours) with a variety of creamers. My favorite is Hazelnut and they have it and French Vanilla. Coffee pots in room as well. Free bottled water in the lobby for guests. Pool is small but clean and nice. Several designated parking places for charging electric vehicles. Ample parking. Security is good with all exterior doors requiring use of room key. Security cameras throughout. I've stayed when it's full and when it's not and can't tell a difference. Not a lot of noise either way. Grounds are clean and well maintained. Housekeeping staff are also friendly and do a great job! They are great at allowing late checkout especially when I have been out late working. The breakfast is really good with a wide variety of items. Several of my favorite items are the bacon (thin and crispy), pancake machine, biscuits and gravy, eggs and the yogurt. They have fresh fruit, variety of juices, pastries, bagels, oatmeal and hot “main course” items daily. They also have several options for those requiring special dietary needs ( sugar free). I recently had to stay at a different hotel due to the BW being full and was SO DISAPPOINTED. I just can't say enough wonderful things about this place. You can't go wrong staying here. Close to restaurants, and 2 mins off the interstate!!!

The staff here are extremely helpful and caring. The building and rooms appear to be recently remodeled and are very well cared for and very clean. Very close to the interstate (I-64) and close to restaurants and other stores.

Me, my 85 year old mother and my future daughter-in-love stayed here 5 nights. I have traveled all over the United States and this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff (down to Ms. Angie in the kitchen) was absolutely delightful. Cleanest pool I've EVER used and my room was 121 close to the check in desk and it was very quiet all through the night. Wonderful experience! Jessica (manager) was incredibly friendly and helpful. She spoke to us DAILY (as did all the staff) with a smile and offered lots of help with activities in the area. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. Can't say enough GOOD things about this lovely hotel in Morehead, KY

Nice property with friendly and helpful staff! Rooms are comfortable and have just the right amenities in them - frig and microwave. The bed is comfortable and the shower has good water pressure. The internet is fast and easy to connect to which made needing to do work easy. I really enjoyed my stay there and will most definitely stay there again when visiting Morehead!

The hotel room was very clean. The TV was pretty new and worked great. Internet was easy to use and fast. Very quiet. At breakfast, coffee was really good. There was some options available for vegans.

My daughter, two grandchildren and I stopped for one night in the middle of a very long road trip. The front desk attendant was extremely friendly and welcoming. The property has been recently renovated, and was immaculate. We were thrilled with our clean, comfortable room, and the pool was a welcome “energy-burner” for our two little ones. The complimentary breakfast was better than I've ever had in all my years of traveling, and yet again, the staff was extremely friendly and kind. We don't plan to make that trip again, but if we ever do, we'll be sure to stay here again!

This hotel was amazing. The price for the area was excellent and the area that the hotel is in is central to a lot of shopping, dining, and the college campus. Not a lot of traffic, so it was a quiet stay, which I loved. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The rooms were well maintained and clean. Will stay here again on my next trip to Morehead.

Our stay at the BW was exceptional. The rooms are very comfortable and the best part was the noise level. There wasn't any noise! I also like the option to leave the HVAC fan on constant that provides air circulation regardless if the unit is on or off. Great stay and will stay again in the future.

Is it 5 star like the Crowne Plaza or Ritz? No. Here is my suggestion--if that is what you are expecting, don't visit Morehead, Ky. Is this a nice place to stay in Morehead? Definitely. Our room was clean, but not very large. Manager at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Pool felt wonderful on a hot day. The one small glitch was no hot breakfast on Saturday. The manager assured me that this was unacceptable and that there would be hot breakfast on Sunday morning....and there was! When we checked in, we were also greeted with a nice goody bag with bottled waters, popcorn, and a granola bar for being Rewards Club members. Great location off of 64. They accept pets, but you can request a non-pet room (we did). The "smoky" mountains were very pretty on Sunday morning.

I stayed at this Best Western for a business trip. I was pleased to find the room updated and comfortable and the fitness room and internet al in working order, However, what makes this facility stand out to me was the staff. I became very ill during the night with a high fever and nausea. I had to call the front desk for replacement linens. They responded immediately and removed the soiled ones. They inquired about my well-being frequently - when I came out to get some medication at a local store and upon return. Also when I requested a late checkout (which they granted immediately), and when I finally checked out. Overall, I give the facility and staff an A+

nice location away from the main highway so it was quiet without all the highway noise. called that night for reservation and the lady was very pleasant and helpful- she was also the one to check me in when i got there and was very helpful in pointing out places to go eat. rooms were nice and the bedding very comfortable- lots of tv channels also. best western has really stepped up their game.

If you are looking for a basic, clean hotel, this is the place. Nothing fancy The breakfast area was small so be sure to get there early. Not much variety but clean. The rooms are on the smaller size for three people. Something to consider if you have more than 2 people in a room.

I have stayed here 4 times aince July as I have a student at Morehead State. The hotel has always been clean, the staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable. Will plan on staying here over the next 4 years.

The hotel is new and the rooms are quiet and nicely appointed. We did not have a reservation as we wanted to see how far we got that day as we are heading home after being on the road since May15. The front desk was friendly and helpful and got us a room quickly. There was a Mexican restaurant next store and that worked out for dinner (good food - lots of locals). Very clean and comfortable.

Stayed 1 night... Came to see John Anderson at the Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival... room was very clean ... staff was friendly and informative... breakfast was hot and tasty... whole appearance was clean...

After 10 hours on the road needed a nest for the night. Who knows, looked ok and this place was a winner. Clean, quiet, helpful staff, lots of parking and a nice selection for breakfast. Drive into town for better restaurants like Mellini Cucina.

Very clean hotel and comfortable/clean beds. Breakfast was very fresh and good larger variety than I have had other hotels. Only problem was indoor pool was cool not sure if heater was broken or what.

I stay here every year when its family reunion time. Great staff and amazing comfortable rooms! Never disappointed with my stay here. Very clean and comfortable beds. Great hot breakfast, fantastic price for the quality of stay, customer service, and environment.

Good price - good for getting in late, staying the night and leaving early. Breakfast average for this type of hotel. Internet access about average. Nothing really noteworthy - about on par with a Holiday Inn Express or a Hampton Inn. Room was a little musty and moldy

Staff was very polite and professional. They also provided sacks to go, which came in handy during the heat of the day. Beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel. Justin at the front desk was very kind. Breakfast had lots of variety.

Overall...this hotel was a great place to stay. It was clean. The hallways were very clean. I walked around the perimeter and felt very safe. The amenities were great as well. The staff was exceptional and were the one part of my experience that stands out the most.

Morehead, Kentucky is a convenient stopping point between St. Louis and the east coast. This hotel is just off I-64. The hotel and guest rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast was good though fairly basic. I would recommend this hotel. Check in and check out were quick and efficient.

Absolutely the best breakfast we have ever had at a hotel. Who serves fresh fruit chopped up in bite-sized pieces? And since we hate the typical Hotel scrambled eggs, we always appreciate when there are fresh hard-boiled eggs available! There were even fresh strawberries to put on your pancakes that you make yourself in the pancake machine! Also the beds were extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel!

Newly redone. Nice staff. Lobby was heavily scented!!! As in breathing difficulty starting-weird! Room was fresh and not so scented, thank goodness! Clean, good price. Very comfortable room. Bed was basic-not all fluffy comforter and all, but it was great to sleep in and that's important. The included breakfast was very good. it was still institutional food, but hot and tasty. Did NOT like that they has pretend butter or spread or whatever that is-I like butter-the other stuff is scary. But the DID have a good Soy milk as well as cow milk. The yogurt was cheap stuff. Really good fruit bowl!!!!

After a long day of traveling it was nice to relax in nice hotel. The room was huge, clean, large TV and the Internet was excellent. It even had a frig. Very nice. They offered breakfast but I didn't eat there. They offered a grab and go bag with water, fruit, and a granola bar. I really appreciated it as sometimes I don't like to eat first thing in the morning and want to get on the road. Great idea!

The front desk was staffed by the nicest ladies ever. Breakfast from Miss Angie was tasty and very well stocked- and the scrambled eggs were perfect! Would earn 5 stars if the fitness room had more equipment (eg: dumbbells) and if there was a safe in the room, but the hospitality was off the charts.

So glad we stopped here. Nothing to complain about. Room was large and open, very comfortable. No dirt spotted anywhere. Mattress was excellent: firm but very pleasant. I especially appreciated that we could keep room cool on a hot day without a lot of noise or drafts. And for a bonus, it is close to the interstate but very quiet. And there is a good restaurant next door. For us, this was a great stopping place.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and breakfast was good as well. Stayed here for a family reunion and will most likely stay again for the next reunion.Was glad to find out it was also a pet friendly hotel, so may bring the fur babies next time.

clean everything! helpful, caring, genuinely friendly staff. the pool area was well-supplied with towels, even though we swam close to pool closing. coffee was fresh at 10 pm. staff always offered to meet any need we had.

Outstanding staff and facility. Very clean and updated rooms. Pool area was very nice. Felt safe leaving motorcycle outside. Staff (Kendra) gave priority parking to motorcycles. Would highly recommend.

I have absolutely no complaints about this motel. I am disabled, and everyone was very helpful. Breakfast was ample, and there were enough gluten free options to fill me up. There were spare pillows and blankets in the closet. The pool looked lovely, and the people using it seemed to be enjoying it. The staff was considerate of pets. Will definitely stay here again when passing through the area!

The room was very clean and the property was well kept. The front desk staff was nice. They had a nice pool and hot breakfast. There were no issues and the overall stay was relaxing. The location was also good- even though it was right in the middle of everything, the rooms were insulated enough to not sound like you were in the middle of everything.

During our vacation to West Virginia this summer, our vehicle broke down on the highway. Since it was Sunday, our car could not be fixed until the next day. We had the vehicle towed to Major Brands auto repair. The Best Western was right across the parking lot- THANK GOODNESS! Everyone there (especially Kendra at the desk) was SO helpful with a good room rate, getting us set up in a room, giving us snacks, finding a place to eat dinner, etc. The hotel/room was very clean and comfortable. Indoor pool was nice. We could not have asked for a better stay with our circumstances.

Recently re-modeled facility was great. Staff personnel were very friendly and helpful with local information. Only complaint is that the bed was too firm.. so much so that neither my wife or I could sleep for more than a few minutes at a time. When we departed in the morning, it was as if we had been beaten up by wrestlers, instead of being well-rested in a comfortable bed.

Very clean hotel and professional staff. The beds where comfortable and the rooms where clean. Pool was nice and he fitness room had what was needed to get a workout in. The staff was very polite and answered any questions.

This hotel stay has completely elevated the Best Western brand for me. In the past I avoided Best Westerns, but no longer. The staff was extremely helpful, the breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had, and the entire premises was clean and well put-together.

Best pool I have used at a hotel in years. Indoor and heated pool is useful in any weather hot or cold. Greatest value of the summer for my family. Best BW i used compared to 5 different locations over the last month of travel.

Courteous staff, clean rooms, easy to find. My only complaint was that all three of the EV parking spaces where taken by an SUV, a van and a diesel pickup truck, making it almost impossible to charge my Volt (I had an extension cable, so I could, with difficulty in the pouring rain. Lot was NOT full, so these people had other places to park.

Great room and location for the price. I haven't stayed in a Best Western for years but this was a good choice. You can access our favorite restaurant, Reno's, by the parking lots. This is now my favorite place to stay in Morehead.

Making a drive to Virginia , this hotel was a nice clean place to stop and they also had a Tesla Charger! The staff was super friendly and they had a great breakfast. I recommend to anyone heading along interstate 64.

Overnight stay here enroute to WI from VA. Room had an old odor, not sure from what but not a big deal. My friends and I had rode a lot of miles on our bikes and were ready for downtime. We stopped at a nearby gas station/spirits store for our cocktails.

We stopped at this Best Western along I-64 this summer. The staff and facilities were quite good. It's an easy on and off the interstate and is surrounding by several good restaurants and other facilities. We found our room to be very comfortable and Bridgett went out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable.

They are very profession, very accommodating and helpful. Initially when I wanted to change rooms did to sinking they immediately did and they also helped me by loving each and every belonging in my room to it exact place as I had left in my earlier room, the hotel Is very well Maintained with lot of focus on neatness and cleanliness, very nice swiming koi and a good fitness centre. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Surprised to find such a quality hotel in our travels. Easily found, great reception, friendly, and efficient. Very comfortable room and everything was working properly. We had stayed at Eagles Inn for past few years when we were on vacation. In our previous stays the hotel had been a Holiday Inn Express. We were surprised to find out it is now a Best Western. We booked the hotel again on our way home from Virginia Beach. Somehow we did a double booking for the night. We would not have known this if it had not been for the young lady at the desk who seen there were two different reservations for us. She called as we were traveling to the hotel and assured us she would take care of it. When we arrived at the hotel we were met by the young lady who took care of our mistake and another delightful young lady. They were both very professional and very pleasant. We also had a problem with figuring out the tv remote and called down to the desk for help. Instead of trying to explain how to use it on the phone one of the girls immediately came to the room to show us what we were doing wrong. We will definitely continue to staying at Best Western Eagles Inn. We are so glad they are still offering professional service and a quality product. We will see you again in June 2018.

This was a clean and friendly motel with a lot of nice extra touches. They had a good, hot breakfast that was left out even longer than the hours and a grab and go bag with water and snacks as you leave. They extended the pool hours for guests.

We have stayed here in the past. It was our family reunion and the staff and location is perfect for us. My family enjoys the pool and convince to all shopping centers and restaurants, the view of the mountains is amazing

This is an old Holiday Inn express which has been converted. It does appear to be pretty old but in decent shape. The pool is open which its not across the street at my first choice. Overall a good experience

Had a very positive experience at this motel. I have two kids under 3 and had a great trip. The indoor pool was nice, the staff was great and the rooms were very clean and modern. The cable was better than most motels with Directv. Internet was good. Elevator was a little small but that's ok. Breakfast was very enjoyable and offered bacon, sausage, eggs among other good food. Would highly recommend this place if you are staying in the Morehead area.

Clean nice great value! Stayed in a motel 6 the night before and the difference was dramatic, concrete and noise vs clean and beautiful. Also the cost was just a few dollars more as I am aBest Western gold club member.

We traveled in and room was great. King bed, hotel was full but quiet and clean. Staff very welcoming. Nice breakfast location. Would stay again. Highly recommend. Try the Fuzzy Duck coffee in town, had a nice cup of cold brew there. Good for getting off and on I64.

My room had been recently renovated and it was clean, well appointed, spacious and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located close to the interstate and was easy to find. Several restaurants are nearby. The breakfast was good. I made a side-trip to Cave Run Lake and Daniel Boone National Forest and it was about 20 minutes away.

We were traveling to Morehead for our Granddaughters High School Graduation and needed two rooms for Family. Through tripadvisor.com we saw that the Best Western Eagles Inn was the highest rate hotel in Morehead so this became our choice. Upon check in it turned out that the Desk Clerk was also going to graduate from High School that weekend, we had a nice talk about Morehead, traveling and life in general. Our rooms were very nice, my Wife fell in love with the Bathroom layout and started getting remodeling ideas, I found the TV to have plenty of channels including I guess all of the HBO channels. The Lobby has Hot Coffee and Hot Water 24 hours of the day. When we went down to breakfast we passed several of the Housekeepers who all had a smile and a “Hello”, the Breakfast room is staffed by an attendant who keeps everything replenished and also has a great smile. The offerings are Pancakes that come out of a machine hot and fresh on the push of a button, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage one day and Bacon the next, Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, Oatmeal, Cereal, Yogurt, Hard Boiled Eggs, Breads, English Muffins, Croissants, Fresh Fruit and I'm sure I missed something, it was a wonderful Breakfast. There are several Eating establishments within walking distance and many more within a short drive. We used the Express Check Out so our Statement was slide under our door during the night so all we did when leaving was drop off our Room Key Cards. When we were leaving there line up on the Check Out Desk were Grab and Go Bags for those who don't have time to sit down for Breakfast or are too early or too late. All in all it was a great stay, we hope to stay here again in the future.

Clean and comfortable place to stay with very friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is ok, not wonderful but very comparable to other hotels. If I needed to choose a hotel for Morehead again, I would choose this one.

Excellent hotel staff, check-in/check out easy with no issues. The room clean nicely laid out, heating/cooling unit quiet and efficient. Breakfast did have the pancake making device vs the waffle maker which is great for smaller appetites. All -in -all would stay there again.

Recently remodeled! Very nice! Room was wonderful - clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast had alot of variety and was delicious! Would definitely stay again. Enjoyed my stay! Will return! !

Excellent Customer Service. They went above and beyond what we expected from the front desk. We were in town for cheer tryouts and the woman working the front desk called the PM shift to check on my daughter to see if she made the squad. I was so impressed with their service I proactively booked rooms for future visits.

The rooms where very comfortable. They had a nice selection for breakfast from cereal to pancakes. The hotel was close to several different restaurants. It was close to the interstate also. My husband is handicap so the room they put us in was very accommodating for anyone either using a wheelchair.

This is a great place to stay! Newly remodeled rooms and a delicious breakfast! The towels were big and thick. The bed was perfect for a great nice sleep! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good value for their money.

Excellent hotel. It was a spontaneous stop since we didn't know far we would get that day in our travels. We were very pleasantly surprised by the appearance, amenities, and cleanliness of the hotel, the lobby and breakfast room, as well as our room, bed, and bathroom.

Excellent place to stay! We were in town to visit family but it's easier just to stay at a Hotel! Best Western is usually where we stay it was formally Holiday Inn Express! It was really clean! The people were all friendly & helpful! They had a wonderful breakfast which had hot & cold foods! They had an automatic pancake maker which I had never seen one before! You just push a button & wait about 2 minutes & 2 pancakes come out! They tasted pretty good! We got in late & our toilet got stopped up but they fixed it early the next morning when we told them about it! They have an elevator! It is handicapped accessible! The rooms have a microwave, coffee maker with coffee pods & refrigerator! The bed was a king size & was comfortable! I have a real bad back but was able to sleep in it! There is coffee in the lobby all day! They have a pool, a work out room but we didn't use them! If you don't have problems with walking, breathing, or your back hurting you could walk to the restaurants & one of the shopping centers there! There's plenty of restaurants, shopping centers, & gas stations in the area! I didn't have time but The Peddler's Mall is close by that sounds very interesting! We didn't have any problems with checking in or out! When we went to leave our car wouldn't start so this nice lady that works there came out & gave us a jump! We didn't have any more problems with the battery since then! I think it was from opening the doors so much from packing the car & the lights were on & wore the battery down so much! Plus the battery is as old as the car 5 years old! They have free Wi-Fi in the rooms & there are some computers & a printer in the lobby! Reno's is a great place to eat steak!

We come to this hotel regularly. Staff knows us, and we feel like regular customers. We also bring our dogs with us. Indoor pool is clean, workout room is functional. It is centralized to every shopping center, campus, camps, and restaurants.

Close to exit off interstate. Clean. Looks updated. Very comfortable bed. Lots of pillows on bed which is great. Cracker Barrel is across the street. Has other options to eat very close by. Gas and other stores are right here as well.

Wonderful, helpful staff! Elegant, clean rooms, amazing breakfast buffet for a great price. I am used to staying in $90 to $100 rooms, but this room and stay was well above those prices! Will definitely stay here again if in this area!

I'm not normally someone who considers Best Western due to the variety of what you get but in this case, the BW Eagles Inn was definitely a place I would stay again. My family stayed for one night while visiting Morehead State University and I had read the previous reviews about the recent renovation so I thought I would give it a try. First impression from the check-in/lobby- nice, clean, bright, and welcoming. First impression from our room - nice and clean. My standard is always - would I go barefoot walking in the room (whether it's advisable or not). The answer here is a definite yes. Carpet/floors were clean as well as the bathroom and sink. The queen beds were awesome. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept on. The beds made the room a little tight in some areas but it was definitely worth it for those beds. Huge TV in the room with great picture. Plenty of hot water, shower spray was great but interestingly, the shower head was very low at least in our bathroom. I'm 5'9" and had to duck under the shower head. That would be my only minor inconvenience but the water pressure and spray made up for that. Parking lot was well lit and hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. As I stated, I would stay again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with a variety of selections. The staff were very helpful and kind. We enjoyed our stay and will continue to stay at Best Western hotels in the future.

HI, we stayed here after leaving the Mammoth Cave area and hitting some Kentucky State Parks. Our room was clean and comfortable and the front lobby area was spacious and inviting. We were able to park our car right outside our room. There was no noise. I appreciate the marked walking path around the hotel which told me how far I went. This was right off 64. I would recommend this hotel.

HOG members should definitely stop here for the night before riding in the Daniel Boone Forest. Front desk staff extremely pleasant and efficient. Certainly believe this motel to good place to stay. Price is fair, staff is friendly, nice decor and a good location. It has been recently remodeled and the rooms have nice bigger screen televisions, micro wave and fridge. Also it is next door to a very good Mexican restaurant.

We have stayed at two or three other hotels in this area and for the money this is the best. Very good breakfast and rooms are real nice, although a little crowded. They try to offer everything you could want but the rooms are just a bit small for a table with 2 chairs. Overall I'd say you can't go wrong with Best Western in Morehead, KY.

We can say nothing bad about this hotel/Inn. Price, room, location, amenities, service & staff were all top notch. We stayed there on our way to Tennessee and on our way back home to Pa, and our rating would have to be excellent for both times. You can't go wrong. We were tired from driving and with good restaurants nearby it saved more driving to find somewhere to eat. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed on Saturday, Sept 17th to attend family weekend at Morehead State University. The room was very new looking and clean. When entering the hotel lobby, it smelled clean and had a very pleasant scent. The king size bed was firm and slept very well. Plenty of pillows, which were very comfortable. There is a sign by the walkway around the hotel that lets you know the distance around the hotel if you walk for exercise. If visiting Morehead, this is a very nice place to stay and I would highly recommend it!

Arrived at nearly mid night and the night clerk (Bridgett) was kind and considerate. The room was perfect, the bed was awesome (new) as were the pillows. Everything was very clean and I have no complaints. My only concern was the price was about $15-$20 more than I usually pay. Am a senior over 65 with a Military retired ID, triple A and on and on. My room was $99.00 off season on a Tuesday night and where I stopped was not a place with any attractions. It was just more than I pay at other Best Westerns. That was a reason to choose another location for me. But if $ are no object it is a great place to stay.

This hotel is extremely beautiful. One big problem, when we checked in. His name was Brandon. He was unkempt in appearance hair extremely greesy... Did not stand to greet us. Was not Professional at all !! The housekeeping was super nice. The breakfast attend kept the breakfast area well stocked an cleaned. The ladies on the other shifts were always up an helping guest. I have stayed in lots of hotels an clerks always standing to greet me. The indoor pool was too cold to swim in. But this hotel is amazingly clean an beautiful. It really is worth the stay. Rooms very clean an beautiful colors. Showers were perfect.

We stayed here one night while visiting Cave Run Lake. The hotel is tastefully decorated. Front desk staff was warm and welcoming. Mexican restaurant next door was good and within walking distance. Only problem was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so our room became very steamy when we took showers. We turned the A/C down to about 68, but it didn't really do the trick.

This newly remodeled hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was much better than expected - Angie takes great pride in her breakfast service. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area.

We stopped here on a road trip. Very convenient to the interstate and there are a handful of restaurants, fast food, and stores nearby (a few within walking distance). Didn't arrive early enough to get our 3 year old in the pool, unfortunately. Staff were nice, room was clean. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Breakfast was typical hotel fare (OK, nothing exciting).

Well we checked in really late but they still had a room to accomadatw is. They offer military discount of 20.00 a night which is great cause that's all a best western is worth. Room was super clean and very nice. Would dwfinately stay again. Beds are very comfortable

We stayed at the Best Western in Morehead. I don't know if renovations are complete but the photo of a Holiday Inn Express is confusing me. We had a first floor double bed room that was quite small. The fridge had no controls and didn't keep our canned soda very chilled. A bit disappointing not to have a USA Today newspaper available. The positives are the excellent internet strength and the very comfortable beds and pillows. I wanted to take one of the pillows home with me--I slept great. The nightly rate was very reasonable.

very nice facility great colors of room interiors, close to the interstate and town. Has a pool and a small fitness room. Would be a great place to stay when visiting a student at MSU. Close to places to eat that are in morehead, it is right next door to a Mexican spot but I think it is closed.

The hotel, while undergoing renovations, was still clean and quiet. The check-in was a breeze. Front desk folks were friendly. The room was clean and comfy. The breakfast the next morning was substantial and tasty. Location couldn't be beat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This Holiday Inn Express was excellent. The breakfast was hot, plentiful and a wide variety. The rooms were exception, especially the television. It appears this hotel is about to change hands, but hopefully,the quality will remain the same!
