Europalace Hotel, BW Signature Collection

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel with my teenage son. Overall, I would give this hotel 3 1/2 starts, due to some service issues. However, the breakfast presentation is 5*****. Manuela provides and bakes fresh breakfast each day. It includes eggs and a selection of meat and cheeses. The most outstanding part, were the homemade pastries, which kept us going back for more.. You can also visit Manuela at her shop Al Refolo on via IX Giungo and find many treats there. The room we stayed in was amble in size for the two of us. Furnishings were pleasant & I found the bed comfortable to sleep in. However, I found the TV set up confusing and difficult to work, but the hotel staff was happy to come to my room and show me how it worked. Staff at the front desk exceeded my expectations.-- Somehow in my travels to 4 different cities the charging wire to my Iphone disappeared, by the time I got to this hotel. The woman at the front desk was kind enough to lend me her own charging wire, so that I could recharge my phone and was also able to let me know where I could purchase a new one (Thanks again for helping me out!) The main difficulty I had was communicating with housekeeping. If I needed them to come back latter or needed some time to get out of my room, before it was cleaned, the room never got made up. One evening, , housekeeping did not leave me any fresh towels and all the used towels were taken out. .When I inquired at the front desk about obtaining towels, I was told none were available till am. It would benefit the hotel to have a reserve of towels for guests after hours and having some kind a check list to revisit rooms that were not cleaned. I would also love to see some availability of food at the hotel other than breakfast. Maybe a small sandwich shop, that might have light dinner items as well. Also, I was able to walk to the Piazza fro this hotel. It is not a short walk, but after all the walking I did on this trip, it was short to me. Also, can walk to Spaghetti Joe's from here & the Spaghetti was delicious.
