Best Western Plus
I'm the latest on review of this hotel from our stay in June of last year. Everything I wrote about them is the same. EXCEPT we liked it so much we stayed 2 nights! We met up with friends here from home, together, we visited the Arches Park, enjoyed a picnic lunch in our room with them before they head out of town. Then my family went on a drive on some of the back roads. We then enjoyed the pool. Zax is a great place to eat AND received 10% off our meal ticket, from a coupon I got at the hotel. We walked and shopped and enjoyed some ice cream. OH breakfast was good, plenty of food to go around and enjoyed the new pancake machine they had! The shower head is double so that was nice. We slept great! We will definitely return!
We stayed here for two nights. The hotel was nice and the rooms were a nice size. My only complaint was how dark the rooms were. Better lighting is needed. The pool was very nice for the kids and not crowded at all. Loved the laundry facility. Breakfast was very good with lots of options.
We stayed here for one night as we were passing through the area to complete the Mighty 5. The hotel was great – it is fairly large with all rooms having an exterior door to the outside parking lot or balcony. The room was a bit on the small side for 4 people, but it did get the job done. I think the AC in our room was broken as it would kick on from low to high, and then just shut off. It did keep the room at an okay temperature, but without AC, we would have been sweltering. The breakfast in the morning was the standard hotel breakfast with pancakes, eggs, etc. Overall, we had a nice stay at this hotel.
We stayed at this Best Western when visiting Arches. Check-in was very easy and fast, and express check-out was given to us as an option. Our room was tucked away in a corner, so we didn't have much of a view. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a little small, but it was functional. Location was wonderful, and we were able to walk to some shops and restaurants. Breakfast was great with the standard hot and cold items.
Hotel has good sized rooms, nicely decorated, no view from room, very friendly staff, free breakfast, coffee, water etc available at reception at all times. Easy to walk to all local shops and diners and easy drive to Arches.
We just spent three nights at this property in Moab Utah. The rooms are updated and the lobby and breakfast area are first class. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The pool area and fitness center were in a separate building and were clean and perfect for cooling off after a long hot day of hiking. Our room was very clean, up to date and perfect for our family of four. The property is centrally located on Moab's main street so you can easily walk for shopping and dining out. Great job.
As the title hints, I'm not sure where the plus comes in this pleasant but fairly standard BW. It does have a small pool and a water feature so perhaps that's it. Not BW's fault, but when we arrived the electricity had been turned off as there was a nearby building development going on - mercifully it was resolved in a couple of hours. The rooms are a good size. Ours was double queen with wooden floors and the usual, rather dreary, corporate décor. But the bathroom was way too small and in desperate need of some tlc so it was good that there was also separate sink area. The complementary breakfast was a nice touch.
Rooms were very nice and clean. They included a regular chair, ottoman and leisure chair which were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel included a second level patio and interior sitting rooms. The hotel had a nice outdoor pool and hot tub. The hotel also had laundry facilities. The hotel was very quiet for being on the main street. The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants. The hotel had easy access to the parks. We enjoyed our stay.
All the beautiful scenery and we get to look at a wall. Questioning if I want to continue with the rewards program with this hotel chain. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We used the pool which was very clean and very warm.
I booked this hotel fairly last minute since I hadn't had any luck finding anything in Moab proper when planning my trip for the past few months and this miraculously popped up with availability (I booked and then cancelled another hotel in Monticello). I haven't stayed in a Best Western in a very long time, and I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was by the chain's improvements! Every interaction with the staff prior to my stay was top notch, so I was hoping the actual room would be great...and it certainly was! The lobby and entry area was warm and inviting and the check in process was quick and friendly. Our room was upstairs (and the stairs were easy to maneuver - even with a bad knee and hauling luggage). To my delight, the room was HUGE! Super comfy bed, hardwood floors, fridge and microwave...what more could you ask for? They also provide complimentary breakfast, but we slept in and missed it (but also a nice amenity to provide). Loved this hotel and will stay again the next time I'm in Moab!
This is an affordable hotel right in downtown Moab. It is a comfortable, motel style property, in easy walking distance to restaurants. Great location to visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The complimentary breakfast is basic, but served early enough to get out to the parks before the crowds and heat.
All I can say about Moab is WOW! This place is spectacular. The hotel itself is very good. The location to all things to do after a day of visiting the parks can't be beat. It is right across the road from everything you need. The staff are excellent. Each time we visited the front desk, we were greated with a smile. No exceptions. The hotel is an older hotel as mentioned in other reviews. We enjoyed that the rooms could be accessed from the outside which was easy for getting your luggage in and out of the car. The hotel is clean, the rooms are a good size and the linens are crisp. The bathroom and shower was a good size as well. The view from the pool area is excellent and the sun shines on the pool into the early evening which is great to relax there after a long day of sightseeing. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as a budget-friendly alternative while visiting Moab.
Older building but adequate for visiting nearby national parks. I liked the fact that you could opt out of having your towels and sheets changed; that is a ridiculous waste of water. The next Best Western Plus at Bryce Canyon DID change our towels which upset me. Why the inconsistency? Breakfast was good. Had a great dinner at SingHa Thai restaurant a couple of blocks away. Much better than Szechuan next door to hotel.
We enjoyed our short stay at the Greenwell Inn. The staff was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a variety of items for everyone. The staff also suggested to plan to be in Arches Park before 9AM and we were glad we did as they suggested, as the park got really busy after 9AM.
This hotel like all hotels in Moab is expensive. It is an older hotel with outside corridors, this was a disappointment and our only negative. Hotel is showing its age but is in OK condition. Lobby is very nice and all the hotel staff were exceptional is there treatment of the guest, extremely helpful and friendly. Large parking lot and close to restaurant.
We stayed 3 nights here. We loved the location with shops and restaurants right next door. Our room was clean and comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful. The fridge was noisy at night so we had to unplug it. The breakfast was ok but I'd like to have seen more fruit on offer. They only had oranges. Also the buffet area wasn't big enough for how many people were staying. The reception staff were always polite and smiling. We did use the pool which was very clean and the spa pool was lovely and hot. This is a really nice hotel which I would recommend
The hotel is right in the middle of town within walking distance of everything. Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The staff went out of their way to see if you needed any assistance.
We found this BW to be welcoming and helpful. The ladies at the front desk were friendly, helpful with our choice of room, the attractions in the area, dining in the area. We were only going to stay one night, but there was so much to see and do, so we ask on the day we were to check out if they could get us in for one more night. They said they could and we could stay in the room we were in, we did not have to move! The BW is downtown and easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Even though downtown, there was plenty of parking on site and getting in and out was not too bad. We have had some bad experiences with other hotel chains, so I only stay at Best Western hotels. And have never been disappointed. Staying at BW's for the last 5 years. Their the best
Very friendly front desk and even housekeeping staff. We had a good experience here. Guest room was clean and roomy. Location is ideal!! We could walk anywhere from here. We will be back next time we're in Moab!!
We stayed at BW plus greenwell inn at Moab from 5/1/18 to 5/4/18 and from the time we walked felt welcome . I want to complement Jill, the front office receptionist who was outstanding and exemplary in offering us every help imaginable to make our stay enjoyable; she made reservations for us including boat trip which we were unaware of and offered dinner suggestions. She is an exceptional individual and can't thank her enough for her professional attitude and enthusiasm towards guests. Kris & Chitra Chandra Houston,Texas
We checked in with Kia and Loni who were very personable, funny and helpful. We received some coupons for local restaurants. The room was perfectly nice -- clean, spacious, comfy bed. The breakfast was more than standard Best Western fare and acceptable. The front desk lady who works during the week (can't remember her name) was very friendly. We had a couple of questions for her during our stay and she was quite helpful. The hot tub was not hot so we brought that to the attention of the front desk and Loni went out and addressed the problem immediately. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend this hotel.
Booked this hotel because of location and also that it was a Best Western. I was greeted with a Welcome and a smile by Lori. Check in was real easy. Room was nicely decorated and clean. When I asked front desk about places to eat, they were helpful in telling about different kinds of food that were best in which restuarant. I totally enjoyed my stay will stay there again if I go to see Arches again.
The WELCOME given, felt like, "Coming Home." Our room was sparkling clean and very roomy. Glorious two-headed shower; seperate from sink area. Beds, SUPERB. Our needs were abundantly met. Perfect location; walking distance to ZAX, which had the BEST "All you can eat" pizza buffet & Fetticini Alfredo with EXCELLENT Service. We so enjoyed our first night, we booked another night! Great breakfast choices, different from morning to the next. The staff are very Gracious. We highly recommend BW Plus Greenwell Inn!
Can't say enough about this hotel's location. Heart of the downtown area surrounded by all the restaurants and gift shops. Close enough for a quick drive to the parks and a comfortable bed at the day's end.
You couldn't get a more perfect location. Arches, Canyonlands, Dead Horse are all right there. You can easily walk to restaurants, shops, coffee, etc. The staff here is wonderful. Lonnie and Jill at the desk are so friendly and helpful. (If you book any kind of tour, reservation, etc, go through them. They can probably snag you a discount!) We had 2 queen sized beds which take up most of the floor space. ( Practicing yoga together took a little ingenuity ??.) But the beds are very, very, very comfortable. The rooms are very clean. Don't get me started on how great the double headed shower feels after a day of hiking. The place is easy to find, has a big parking lot, and did I mention the great staff? The included breakfast is standard stuff, but very hot and fresh. Good coffee too, all day. I would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone visiting Moab. Two suggestions: add a safe and recycling bins to the rooms. ( But I can't really preach about recycling when I was loving the double headed shower, can I?)
Friendly staff offered discounts for nearby restaurants. The hotel was in a good location (walking distance to restaurants and shops). Hot tub jets were weak and I got a rash from the hot tub but my husband did not. Late night hours (11 pm) for the pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was very good with lots of options.
- Check in easy, friendly front desk clerk. - One of the oldest motels in Moab. The front desk clerk told us when she arrived in Moab, at age 11, this was one of two motels in town. I suspect it was not always a Best Western Plus. - Rooms are accessed from the outside. A little inconvenient in that one had to go outside to reach the lobby. - Unusual feature was the hardwood floors (probably laminate or luxury vinyl). We were on the second floor and I imagine those on the first floor would hear our footsteps. - The floor transition molding from living room to bathroom was insecure and was a tripping hazard. Was fixed the next morning. Housekeeping should have noted this to management. - Breakfast was what one would expect at a chain motel. - Location could not be better. About seven miles south of Arches. Main drag within walking distance. - The second Best Western is two blocks north. It appears to be a lot newer and would reserve next time in Moab.
Having two rooms together made it more fun for all. The breakfast area was pleasant but a little more variety would be welcome. Staff here is very helpful and the location can't be beat-close to shops and restaurants. Pool area looked nice but the weather was not conducive.
The hotel is well placed for both the town of Moab and for visiting the Arches Park. The rooms are clean and spacious and contain both a microwave and a fridge but strangely not a safe. The staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Coffee, tea, water etc are freely available in the reception area. There is a spacious parking area. The only criticism I have really is that breakfast ( included in the room cost) is not particularly good . Nevertheless we enjoyed a very pleasant stay here.
There is nothing remarkable about this Best Western. All the amenities are as expected. My double queen room was clean and roomy with hard surface floor that makes it easier to deal with the famous Moab red dirt. There is nothing fancy but it works well. I would recommend this hotel mainly due to the price, the location, and the customer service. I was there during spring break and the city was packed, but I was able to get a room for under $200 a night, which was more expensive than some but lower in cost than the newer hotels. The hotel is located at the
We were notified that I had left my laptop in my room after our check out. The front desk held it until I arrived, and I think that just judges an establishment's morals right there! Any other hotel it may have been lost forever. The staff was extremely kind and the rooms have hardwood flooring. It's so much nicer than gross, old carpet. We were impressed with the size of the room and the soft chairs were awesome. We are college students, so even on vacation we had to study. The desk in the room was great to have for that and wifi was very quick! Thanks!
This hotel has a great location and amazing staff. Jill at the front desk exceeded our expectations with her restaurant recommendations and assistance booking a jeep excursion. Wonderful breakfast and WiFi!
We stayed a single night and wish we had stayed more, The hotel staff were very nice and answered all of our questions. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, updated with wood floors and nice bathroom areas. The breakfast was tasty. The location of the hotel was ideal because it was right by many of the businesses in Moab, and only a short drive to the entrance of Arches National Park. Would definitely stay again.
The experience at this hotel was excellent. Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and professional. Room was very clean and well presented for a reasonable prices for a tourist area. The full breakfast was excellent.
My room was fine and it was quiet which is my number one thing when traveling. The people at the front desk at check-in and checkout were great. But, one annoyance was that the hot tubs jets weren't working. No major issue, but my surprise was how bad the breakfast was. They did not even have a waffle maker which pretty much every hotel chain has. The eggs and sausage were on a par with Motel 6. Biscuits were ok but gravy was way too runny. Not much of a variety of pastries. Also, the layout of the breakfast area leads to traffic jams. I can't imagine what this would be like on a busy day.
I highly recommend Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn for your stay - brief or long term - in Moab! The accommodations were very comfortable, the room quiet and the breakfast delicious. But the real secret at Greenwell Inn that makes it a truly outstanding property is the amazing customer service! The employees go out of their way to ensure that your stay is pleasant and problem-free. They set a new bar for quality and professionalism in my book! This property is well-managed and I highly recommend it for your needs while traveling through, or staying in Moab for awhile!
Great place to stay in Moab , centrally located, nice room, cordial staff and a very nice continental breakfast included. Get your reservations early, Moab is seeming to come out of it's shell and starting to become busier year round. Moderate priced, Ask for a room on the second floor (it's a little less noisy than down below).
We have stayed here many times and liked it. They are redecorating the rooms which is nice. It is located right downtown so you don't have to drive anywhere. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The price was reasonable for Feb. It is an older place but maintained well.
We stayed at the best western plus Greenwell on an impromptu visit to Moab... we booked last minute... great rate. Very clean warm and comfortable. Breakfast was a good mix of continental and hot. We ended up staying an extra night. No problem. Really nice stay
My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights between Christmas and New Years, and found it to be a very good hotel for the cost. It's in the middle of town, so it's easy to to walk to several restaurants and a short drive everywhere else. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was room to spread out. The property was well maintained, with the snow from a recent storm cleared away for walking/driving areas, unlike the city sidewalks. Breakfast wasn't gourmet, but there was a good selection of hot and cold foods, and it was better than average for this category of motel. I would have no qualms about staying there when I'm back in the area. Do note that this motel is on the east side of the street. There's another Best Western down the street on the west side.
Kim Carter, hotel receptionist, was extremely helpful, funny and actually encouraged booking and extra day! What a keeper! My best friend and I are planning a getaway in Moab and Kim helped us with our reservations. My friend lives in Alaska and with getting here from there - her grandchildren springing a surprise visit on her - we needed several calls to Moab. Kim helped me each and every time and was exceedingly kind with the changes when I actually expected any other hotel clerk to get frustrated. She didn't. She understood our circumstances and was delightful to work with.
Visiting Moab and Arches in the winter is the best! Snowy conditions made photographing Arches awesome. Red Rocks, Arches and snow created nice contrast. Going off-season was nice as the restaurants and the Greenwell weren't so busy! And a main level room was there as requested.
Room was nice and clean. However, the best part of our stay was the included breakfast buffet. They had a pancake machine that only needed the push of a button (no adding batter or turning a waffle iron needed). Included biscuits and gravy, patty sausage and scrambled eggs.
Clean rooms, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful lobby area, good location, reasonable rates, comfortable beds, big television, many amenities, and best continental breakfast. Will stay here again.
This was a very good stay. The staff was friendly and professional. A full breakfast was available and was very well stocked and the lady who serviced the breakfast was exceptional. I recommend this place to anyone needign to stay in a place around Richfield UT.
We loved our stay for 3 nights at BW Greenwell Inn in 2 queen beds room. The room was very spacious and has Microwave, Refrigerator and internet. The breakfast was very good with several hot items including oatmeal (with toppings),fresh pancakes, pastries, bread, egg items, cereal, yogurt, etc. Loved the caring staff too!
This motel is very clean and comfortable. Rooms are very clean. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. If you are on a bottom floor, it is very noisy if someone is above you. Sleep disturbed both nights.
Nice place to stay, pretty setting, everything you need and more. Restaurant on site, breakfast in guest services area. Pool, hot tub, fitness center. Smack in the center of town on the strip where you want to be.
We have stayed at both BW Plusses in Moab and liked them both. Greenwell is obviously an older motel building. but it has been tastefully remodelled. The staff is helpful and friendly and the breakfast good. The other BW is newer and therefore somewhat nicer, but this one is the better deal.
This a nicely appearing motel that looks well-maintained from the outside appearance but on staying here found the motel surely didn't warrant a "BW Plus" designation. I question that it meets BW standards. It is over rated and overpriced for the value received. Beyond this, after going to breakfast, came back to find my room door ajar. Housekeeping had entered and completely made up the room. Didn't seem of much concern when reporting the situation. This is an older property that seems to have remodeled but the original structure constricted what could be done to modernize it. The breakfast is in a cramped area and definitely of poor quality. The business center was wanting.
Good rates, good motel. Bathrooms need new moisture resistant drywall. Refinish those bathrooms and this place is solid. Breakfast was decent. Employees were very friendly and accommodating. I will return if prices stay decent.
Very pleasing for a hotel from this chain. I guess that is what the "Plus" means. Room very clean. Pool and hot tub very nice temperature for October. Many attractions and dining options nearby, although I'd avoid the oriental one next door.
Nice and comfortable hote in the heart of Moab downtown. All good eating places at walking distance. Good appeal at good pricing. Hotel staff was good and caring. Nice breakfast to fill up before heading to arches national park. Would definitely stay at this hote again.
Stayed here only one night, but we were impressed with the staff and a breakfast that was a cut above the average hotel fare. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi strong, and everything we needed was in walking distance. There is a nice stream next to the hotel with a walking path.
Better than average. It is located in the middle of the main street, convenient to everything. Breakfast is excellent, better than a lot of other hotels. Roomy and one thing we like the hand wash sink was outside the shower and toilet, very helpful.
I wish the motel would go Green on cleaning supplies. The cleaning staff sprayed a strong spray and it lasted for days. NAUSEATING. The staff did not return the shoes I left during checkout. Personnel could be lot friendlier nd aware.
Rafael R, Manager at Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn, responded to this review
Greetings Annie M. I do apologize for the issues you experienced with our cleaning supplies. We do refrain from using them and have an ionizer to clear out the scent if our guests are sensitive to the smell. If you could email me about the other issues you referenced. I will do my best to assist you. My email is: [email protected] Kindest Regards, Rafael Reyes & Staff
The front desk sent a microwave up because I asked for one. and then they delivered an extra blanket, just for me. standard Hotel Buffet Breakfast. 24 hr coffee bar. Cozy fire in lobby and welcoming sitting rooms. Yes, elevator but only two stories. One hall way, okay as long as other guests walking the hall remember people sleep behind those closed doors. Best Westerns each have individual decor. This one reminded me of Spanish Decor of by gone days. Plenty of Parking right in town yet very close to Arches and Colorado River Drive up to Fisher Towers (a must).
Good location, good view from outdoor patio above lobby. Only problem is potential for noisy guests tromping in late at night not realizing people sleep behind each of those doors they are talking past. Nicely furnishes, usual excellent BW bedding. Standard Hotel Breakfast, with hot buffet. Cozy lobby and sitting areas.
Excellent value. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the centre of the town. Spacious rooms. Great breakfasts. We spent six days going into the national parks and travelling around the wonderful Moab area.
We stayed three nights at this hotel in September. The location and proximity to parks is good, however, the hotel rooms are in need of some TLC. Our unit was on the first floor towards the back of the building. This allowed for peace and quiet but it also made the room very dark. If you are a person who likes to sleep in this will be a perk. The only noise we heard was someone upstairs walking around in boots. The bedding appeared to be old and our sheets had small tears in the fitted sheets. The mattress was extremely firm. Both floor lamps were broken (one shade fell off every time you turned the light on and the other actually sparked when we tried to turn it on!) Management was notified. The bathroom was very tiny, hardly enough room to dry yourself unless you were standing in the tub (and we aren't big people). Sink is outside of the bathroom so once one person is up, everyone is awake. We have stayed in Best Westerns two other times and were extremely happy with the accommodations. If this had been our first experience with BW, it would have been our last. For the $$$ I would have expected nicer. Staff was friendly and helpful.
We came into Moab from the west, which allowed us to enjoy the scenery of Arches N.P. We were welcomed to the Greenwell Best Western and given information about the area regarding where to buy gas, groceries, and pharmaceuticals. All employees expressed their gratitude for us staying with them.
We stayed at the BW Greenwell for 2 nights. We had an unusual circumstance and the desk staff handled it above and beyond. The hotel is in a great location for both Arches and Canyonlands. Moab is a great little town and the hotel is located on the main drag for an easy walk to shopping and places to eat. Great place to stay and the laundry area is an added bonus.
We spent the night here before going to Arches in the morning. Easy walk to dinner choices. Nice shops in which to browse. Everyone we met was very friendly and gave us recommendations on the variety of National Parks in UT. Got a comfortable night sleep and a nice breakfast in the morning. Good start to the day. The room was comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend.
Our room was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. Their breakfast was very tasty, but the syrup for the pancakes should be near the pancake maker. The location of the motel is great...within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. We were only about 15 minutes from Arches National Park.
Pillows were exceptionally comfortable! I only stayed there for one night, but everything was clean, comfortable, plenty of breakfast items to choose from, and in a great location in town. Walkable to restaurants, shops, etc. Only thing that could be improved is the breakfast set up. Navigating between other guests and chairs/tables in the way wasn't the easiest. Overall I'd recommend staying here!
We stayed at this hotel for the last two nights of our weeklong road trip between several national parks. We were greeted by a kind staff member who suggested a nearby restaurant and provided us with a 10% off coupon for our meal (definitely recommend Zax!). The room was very comfortable, but the wifi was a bit spotty. Conveniently located near Arches NP, the whole town is cute, walkable, and friendly. I'd stay here again.
Nice hotel with a good staff. Stayed here before and enjoyed our recent stay. Rooms are dated and could use a make over. The breakfast was good and had a variety of good things to choose from. Parking was good and the lot had some longer spots if you have a trailer. Hotel is right in the mix of places to eat and shopping.
What we missed in our room was not having carpeting on the floor and not a clock that we could see the time during the night. The breakfast could also have a better selection for the price of stay. The Fitness room was great actually the best of all the BW Hotels we stayed in.
The beds weren't the most comfortable but they were okay. The hvac gave us fits trying to change temp. The breakfast was quite good. FYI: If you are allergic to artificial scents, warn them in advance. They use an air freshener that killed my allergies. The management was wonderful about it though. Kia at the front desk went above and beyond. Have I stayed in more modern best westerns? Yes, I've also stayed in some that are much worse. What makes this one special is the people.
We chose this hotel for a visit to two national parks, Arches and Canyonlands, near Moab. It worked out very well. It is centrally located so we could walk to all restaurants and shops. It was also an easy drive to both parks and various other activities. It exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby, and the pool and spa were great.
Besides being a very clean hotel with very professional employees, this hotel is in the PERFECT location on main street. All the best places to eat are within minutes to walk to. Great pool and hot tub on location. Thanks!
We stayed here because it was right in the middle of Moab and walking distance to many restaurants. It is a little older but well kept up. It seemed pretty quiet and that is important since it is right on Main St. Only about 5 miles to Arches NP which was nice. One tip: the driveway opens onto Main St which is a very busy road. If you are coming from the north (like from Arches) it is almost impossible to make a left turn into the place. If you can turn left on 100 South and go around the block so you can access the driveway from the right. This is not the hotel's fault of course (the traffic) but is a fact of life in Moab during busy times.
Wonderful place to stay in the heart of town. Many restaurants nearby to choose from. Our room was farthest away from the lobby buy that made it quieter also. The room and beds were comfortable. Counter staff were very helpful on local sites to see. Breakfast was ample with eggs and sausage as well as pastries, breads, cereals. The area was a little crowded but manageable.
This is a very clean, comfortable hotel centrally located in Moab with plenty of shops and places to eat within walking distance. We especially appreciated the hot, filling breakfast each morning. Day one they served eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Day two they served bacon, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Both days ham and cheese were available for making sandwiches plus the usual breads, pancakes, yogurts, and fruit. The dining area was also spacious with plenty of tables to accommodate guests. We visited in October and did not try the pool or hot tub. The internet worked well and we appreciated having every TV channel we wanted. The hotel was also very quiet.
Great Staff, Clean Rooms, Good location. Enjoyed our stay close to parks centrally located in town close to many good restaurants and shops. Plenty of seating at breakfast with a good selection of fresh foods.
We enjoyed our stay at the Greenwell Inn. The room was very clean and looked to have been recently refurbished. The hotel is an old style building, with rooms opening to an outside walkway, rather than an inside corridor. The room was very dark. But since we were only in our room during the evening hours, it didn't bother us. One of the best things about the hotel is that it is downtown, right in the middle of the action. The breakfast was good and the public areas were bright and inviting. I would stay here again.
This is a very nice hotel on the main street of Moab. Close distance to walk to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was delicious. Hot tub was nice and there was a nice laundry area. Request a 2nd floor room since you can hear footsteps from 2nd floor but I would stay here again.
Very helpful and friendly staff at check in. Pool was cold and hot tub was heated well but the jets had very little action at all, kind of like sitting in a bathtub instead of a therapy pool. Did not participate in the breakfast but it appeared to be the basic generic bagged frozen eggs and rubber sausage that everyone serves lately. Good news is that the Ranchhouse Restaurant is only a couple of blocks away and they have the best breakfast and servic you can find in Page,AZ or Phoenix AZ
This was a wonderful hotel. They were very accommodating to a few special needs we requested. Room was clean, smelled great, close to parking and breakfast area. Our only complaint is that we did find the it on the pricey side, but not by much.
Motel style with parking outside door. Spacious room with all facilities but it was very dark and lighting was dim. The pool area was lovely and a good place to sit and relax as the room environment was depressing. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and not something we were expecting as part of the cost of the room. Easy walk to all the shops and restaurants.
Shower could have been better; more water pressure would've helped. . Breakfast setup needed tweeking; had to leave resturant to get coffee. Also had to go through loby with our food to eat in overflow room as area by food too small. Nice exercise room & pool. Location great-enjoyed walking to resturants.
Located right downtown in Moab. Location is great and can walk along main street. From the outside .... its Motel (car parked outside and your entrance to your room is from the outside) but your in a small town anyways. The rooms have been updated ... laminated floors and with newer furnishings. Bathroom updated with double shower heads. The Air condition is loud .... I never liked the airconditioners that attached to the underside of the windows. Lots of parking
The hotel is right on Main street, near shops, restaurants, tour groups, etc. Very convenient. The room was clean and well appointed. Refrigerate, microwave, and plenty of storage. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The breakfast room also had plenty of seating available. All of the staff that we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The star was Apollo, the gentleman that kept the breakfast room in perfect order. He was so friendly, helpful, and took his work very seriously.
The booking of this hotel was a long shot, there were two a plus & a premier. Well the plus was amazingly beautiful. It sat at the edge of town over looking a water fall at the entrance and a great view of the mountains in the foreground. The outside entrances to the rooms was different as well, very handy for unloading your luggage but more so to be able to look out your door as through you were home. Highly Recommend this location.
This place is really nice. Had a king room and it was spacious, bed was comfortable. Combination tub/shower, the shower was dual headed. The breakfast was nice, scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cold cereals, danishes, muffins, English muffins, toast, coffee, tea and juices. Very friendly staff at check in/check out and breakfast.
Hotel was very average. Room was pretty clean. There was some overhead noise being on the first floor. Breakfast was decent but nothing extraordinary. Location was convenient to a few good restaurant options within walking distance.
Room smelled of strong cleaning agents upon arrival. Desk chair missing wheel. Pool has no shade... Given Moab's popularity, it's hard to find a reasonably price accommodations. This property is not cheap but is also not great.
This was the fourth stop on our tour of Western USA.All of them had been 3 nights. This was by far the most expensive. Why! It had more or less the same facilities as the others, one previous even had our own balcony and jacuzzi, yet was half the price of the green well.$700 plus dollars for an average hotel is a total rip off.The hot water machine was Luke warm.On checkout the printer would not work. The noise from adjoining rooms was annoying. My advice is find somewhere else.
My wife and I, on our previous visits to Moab, stayed at the other Best Western property in town but, when we checked the rates for our three-day stay in Moab in August 2017, we discovered that staying at the Best Western Greenwell Inn would save us over one hundred dollars. So, this time, we reserved rooms at the Best Western Greenwell Inn. It is true to say that the Greenwell Inn is not so modern as the other BW property in Moab and, from our secind floor room at the far end of the hotel to reception was a walk of over five hundred feet (I know because I paced it out several times). With the exception of quite enough power points (to charge iPhones, iPads, camera batteries, etc.) the allocated room was adequate for our needs. We did, however, discover sand in two drawers and, in the bathroom, the lavatory basin had peculiar markings (it looked as if the glaze had been removed in places by chemicals). We reported these faults to Kim in reception and both problems were corrected immediately. In fact, the complete lavatory unit (basin and water reservoir) was replaced! One could not fault the Greenwell Inn's very quick response. The hotel breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff were all very helpful and attentive. Being in the very centre of town, it is only a short walk from the hotel to the Moab Information Centre (staffed by vety helpful people), shops and restaurants. It was very hot when we were in Moab (over 100F) and our air-conditioning unit worked well. My wife also enjoyed a couple of hours in the hotel's outdoor swimming pool. We both enjoyed our three-day stay at the Best Western Greenwell Inn and, as always, we were very sorry to have to say goodbye to Moab. We would certainly stay in the Best Western Greenwell Inn again.
At least half of the rooms have outside entrances. The rooms are all very old and outdated. There are very few plug ins so it makes it difficult for four people to be able to plug in electronic devices such as cell phone chargers, etc The bathroom and particularly the tub and shower room are very small. This should not have a BW Plus rating. Needs to be torn down or have a major overhaul.
My wife and I stayed here 4 years ago and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast at that time was one of the best we've ever experienced in a Best Western. The hotel was clean and we had a great time exploring all the parks in the area. I'm not sure if the place changed owners but now things are not quite as good as they were. Do not walk on the hardwood floors in your room...the bottoms of your feet will turn black very quickly. The breakfast, while still adequate, has lost some of the appeal of the past. The home made waffles have been replaced by automated pancakes...not sure why. The staff was very friendly and helpful which made the stay OK. This used to be our go to motel in Moab but I think next time we may have to look around.
Enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn, Moab, UTAH. Loved the outdoor pool, it was very refreshing in the heat of the day. The breakfast was great! We've never had such a good buffet before.
Wonderful hotel. Great location. The breakfast options were more than adequate. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel as a great place to stay I'm Moab. Centrally located to restaurants and shopping.
Wonderful hotel. Large clean comfortable rooms, excellent A/C, nice Keurig coffees in the room. Pool was clean and not too busy. Staff very friendly. Excellent continental breakfast. Reasonable price. Will certainly stay here again.
This was a great place to stay in Moab. It was within walking distance to nice restaurants in the evening. The first evening we arrived, we went to the visitor center 1 block away and got a lot of information about the National Parks and the state parks nearby. the room itself was nice, clean and well organized. We enjoyed our stay there.
Good clean comfortable hotel. 1st floor rooms open to parking lot which is a plus for me. Right in the middle of Moab Walking distance to all shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this place if you want convenient
Hotel is located within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average with something for everyone and indoor and outdoor seating. Rooms are a little dated by clean.
The location of the BW is lovely, The staff were very nice and presented themselves well. The only problem we encountered was there was not enough water pressure in the shower. The pool area was nice.
My son and i have stayed in BWs in many cities over the years as he plays baseball. Greenwell ranks as one of the better BWs. The cleaning staff were very helpful in particular as we "lost" a set of rather expensive earphones of our teen. The staff were able to locate the earphones after we checked out..If you are in Moab consider this BW. It is also VERY central which made it all the more better. We will certainly stay here when we return.
We have a wonderful stay @ Best Western in Moab. The breakfasts were very good, altho sometimes ran out of some food. But all in all we enjoyed our stay. We used the laundry which was very nice. Used the pool some but it was very clean & warm. The location was perfect to walk to all the various shops and restaurants. Thank you for upholding the great qualities of a Best Western hotel.
We were in Moab to go through the Arches National Park. This hotel was conveniently located in the center of Moab. Very close to restaurants and shopping. Very clean and quiet. The price was very reasonable.
I spent 4 nights at the Greenwell this July and was really happy yet again with the experience. The location and amenities were splendid. The room was clean and comfortable and right downtown and next to the best bar in town (Woody's). I stayed here last year and hoped that it would be consistent and it surely was. I'll be back again next summer for more fun in Moab, and I'll be thrilled to know that I can come back after a long day and crash at this awesome hotel!
The room was a good size, clean and well equipped. The shower was particularly good, plenty of pressure and hot. The coffee machine was quick and made great coffee. Breakfast was fine if lacking bacon, american breakfast sausage is an acquired taste. They are keen to close down breakfast at 9.30 so dont be late!! The pool was nice the evening we arrived but the following morning at 10.15am it has a nasty scum of i assume suntan cream floating on it which took over an hour to disperse and the pool cleaner was happier cleaning the concrete concourse as opposed to cleaning the water. well located for eateries and free coffee at reception all day but the pool was real shame.
Great hotel in a great location. Moab is a very popular tourist area and the hotel was very nice. We hiked the day of our checkin and were very tired. We slept in and missed the breakfast which promptly stopped at 9am. It would have been nice to be able to go a little later.
For the price the services in general were average. Receptionist on arrival was unpleasant. Breakfast okay except for two gluten free visitors food was inadequate and scrambled eggs powdered. We enjoyed the pool and gym.
Nice big room. Clean. Helpful staff. Perfect location in town- you can walk to whatever restaurant you want. It is great that they have laundry available. The pool is nice but has no shade. I will again.
The hotel is right in the heart of Moab and there are many restaurants and places to walk to. We had a good time while we were there and to come back to the hotel where we were comfortable was really nice. I am not crazy about the wood floors in the rooms but that is just my opinion. Breakfast was one of the best ones I have ever been too. Manah (I am sorry if I am not spelling your name right) did a great job checking us in and letting us know where the best places to eat were! Thank you!
Visually it is nice, amenities were nice and were all working. Upon a long day on a construction jobsite in the hot sun I returned to shower. Only to find someone else's "hair" (and more than 1) fall off the shower curtain as I opened it. For me, I was totally turned off. At that point I was not sure how clean the bedding was so I slept on top, fully clothed with a blanket from my trunk. For the positive, the location is fantastic, walking distance to shops & eating establishments and staff was friendly.
Great Location to down town. Rooms were large and very clean. Front desk was pleasant and helpful. Pool area was clean and pleasant to use. Breakfast was ok, sitting on the front porch with coffee in the morning was nice.
Quaint little hotel right at the major intersection in this cute tourist town. Stayed here one night and went to Arches National Park the next day. Used the pool it was very big and warm, only issue was there was a little bit of debris floating around in it. Next morning we had the free continental breakfast and it was by far the best free breakfast I've had at a hotel in quite awhile, it was big and very tasty.
This hotel was expensive, but based on the location and demand it was expected. Access to the room was from the outside and the hotel provided plenty of parking. Our room was comfortable and quiet, however, it felt like the hotel owners had reinvested in the front of the hotel, but not in modernizing the rooms. The hotel was in a good location being within walking distance of many downtown establishments. It was also close to one of the Utah State Liquor stores. The best part of the stay was the included breakfast which offered more choices than the normal hotel breakfast. The hotel staff was also friendly and provided us with rags to wipe down our motorcycles in the morning. I did need to cancel one of our rooms at the last minute due to a bike breakdown. The staff was very accommodating.
I have lived at so many hotels before. This is the only hotel I experienced a racist front desk. When we checked in, a young white front desk lady assigned both two of my reservations next to noisy vending machine. The first one was next to vending machine on first floor, and second one was next to vending machine on second floor. After we found out, I went to see her to change room, she said all were occupied. Right after our conversation, a white lady showed up asked to changed her room, she immediately apologized for something and give her a new room. We paid more than $200 for each motel like room, still got treatment like this. I think best western needs a good employment training on racism.

Dear WXC213, Please be reassured that our staff encounters and welcomes people of all color and creed from all over the world on a daily basis with two national parks drawing over a million visitors per year. I am very sorry for any misunderstanding with regards to your room assignment. Our desk clerks do try their best to accommodate all our guests requests. Your comfort is our primary concern. Please feel free to contact me directly at (435) 259-6151. Sincerely, Sheryl Engelhardt Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn
We stayed here for 3 nights. The motel is in downtown Moab, and an easy walk to many great restaurants and shops. The lobby and facade are new and very nice. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The pool is nice. The problem is the room itself. The rooms are dark with no view, which isn't horrible because you probably spent most of your day outside in the bright sun. The rooms were recently renovated, but cheaply. Few drawers, no room safe (which forces you to hike with all your money and credit cards in your pockets), and no clothes line over the tub. I only mention that because many guests hang their clothes outside to dry, giving the motel a downmarket look. They also include a large ironing board, which makes you wonder if the person that designed the room knew what people did in Moab.
Room wasn't clean, sheets were torn and some hair was found on them. Front desk experience wasn't pleasant. Laundry room was useful and pool was nice. Location was great. Breakfast was not good, food wasn't fresh and not enough healthy options.
The breakfast was phenomenal & the rooms had just been upgraded to laminate floors. We had a lil issue with a light but we'd certainly choose to stay in this centrally located hotel again. You can walk to all the restaurants in town & a few bakeries.
Two night stay. Family vacation. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The last night the AC went out in one room, but the management compensated for the malfunction. Breakfast was standard fare with clean area. Worth the stay.
This is a tourist town, so they do not expect you to be back ever. Even then, this place is bad. We were out on a 2 week trip in UT and WY, and stayed in about 8 different hotels, including other Best Western - and this place was the worst. First, if you are given a room at the furthest end, be prepared to walk a mile and push our luggage - the elevator is only at one end. When we checked in, the staff were courteous - but just like robots, no smile, not friendly. Once we reach our room, we found food left over in the fridge by the previous occupants. The shower tub did not drain and coffee maker did not work. We stayed for 2 nights and I politely complained about tub and coffee maker to the front desk, the lady took down the details and assured it will be fixed. On returning back that night we found the tub was taken care -but the coffee maker still did not work. Spend your money on other, possibly better hotels.

The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. The motel was also in a good location, Moab is small but it is close to the center. The front desk staff was efficient and helpful with recommending a local restaurant for dinner.
Service rather poor. Associates were pleasant but inattentive. Refrigerator did no keep things cold. Bedding looked dingy and wrinkled. I would say this was an average stay but with a few glitches. I was not impressed and thought four stars would give me more. I do appreciate the partial refund given to me after a family member complained a second time. I complained the first time and got dismissed.
Hotel has lots of old motel charm in a charming town. Very well maintained, clean, comfortable beds, fluffy towels and a great staff. Cleaning staff attended to the inside and outside spaces, power washing walkways, and weeding gardens in 100 degree heat. The Rooms are spacious and offer great space for families to spread out and relax. A complete breakfast is offered and coffee available all day. The front desk staff can offer day trip suggestions and lots of places to eat. A great place to call home while exploring Moab and the parks.
Specifically the one named Mariah. Stayed here for a couple of nights while in Moab to visit the Arches, Mariah was the person at the front desk after check-in she handed my husband the keys and said go now, she was rude but we were tired so we let it pass. The following day, after hiking the whole day we went back to the room to rest a bit before going to dinner and the cleaning crew at the room above ours were making loud noises. They were walking back & forth, dragging stuff on the floor for almost an hour so my hubby went to the front desk to ask Mariah if she can advise the cleaning crew to tone down the noise a lil bit coz we're trying to rest and Mariah said "we have a lot of check outs so rooms need to be cleaned do you want me to go to the store to pick up ear plugs for you?" Very rude! I don't know what's going on with her but she shouldn't be in the front desk coz her attitude is giving your hotel a very bad impression. I hope management will do something about this because nobody should be treated like especially if you're a paying customer!
Updated motel with good free breakfast, perfect location to walk downtown , good pool area and excellent staff. Price was a little high, but room was very clean with laminate floors and good wi-fi, and laundry room. Overall a great location great staff, and a nicely updated older hotel.
Overall we liked our stay. The staff is pleasant and the place was clean. The breakfast staff is the most pleasant and friendly that we have seen in a long time. We stayed for a week and would have liked to stay longer but the prices are a little high. It has a good location. The Quesadilla food truck was amazing and the Moab Café next door are great places to eat.
The rooms were very clean. A little heavy on the bleach scent for the sheets but at least it was a sign that they were freshly laundered! The toiletries were a little sparse, we were missing a lotion. I'd go a little more natural based on the toiletries also, smelled very pungently soapy. Maybe I'm just sensitive to odors. I like the outdoor room access, gives it a vacation vibe. Don't feel like your trapped in some big hotel. Breakfast was good. The meats weren't very warm, could have been kept warmer but good variation of meats and breads. It might be nice to have some lemon water in the lobby. The biggest surprise was that there was no shade in the swimming area and on the upper deck veranda. That is a huge deal in a sunny climate. The jets in the hot tub could use a reburf too; a little weak.
This place needs some management. Our room was not clean. The cleaning person said we had a no disturb on the door, which was not true. After complaining we waited for hours for them to come clean it and when he did--he did a half job. Forgot our washcloths and coffee. The location was GREAT---breakfast average.
The room itself was very clean, the staff were friendly, & breakfasts was great. Kids enjoyed swimming at the pool. The walls were thin & heard someone stomping or jumping during the night. I also didn't realize the doors are to the outside & I don't like that. I very much prefer internal hallways.
The hotel was EXCELLENT! Close to restaurant and local grocery stores. Close to the Arches National Park. The room had everything we needed for us to rest. Rooms were very clean with hard wood floor. Plenty of space.
This is a very cute hotel with nice decorations. The staff was nice and professional. The breakfast was delicious. The pool and fitness area were both great. The only complaint was that in our room, we found several long black hairs even though the females with us were both blonde. Other than that, everything was great.
Hotel at good location in Moab centre. Plenty of parking, rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade but ok for a few nights. Good breakfast, although wife felt eggs over cooked. Small pool area outside with laundry machines. Overall hotel was quiet but reasonably busy. We visited both parks over two days, could be done in one day if you had the energy and it was a little cooler but I wouldn't recommend it. Good food at local restaurants no chains around.
Quaint town. Lots to do and see. Lots of restaurants. Very close to Arches. Would definitely consider staying there again. Basic buffet breakfast but had a variety to chose from. Very accommodating to your requests.
Our family stayed at this hotel for a night while in Moab, Utah. Our daughter brought to our attention that there was a mouse in the room. When we went to the front desk the person said she was the only person on duty. She said the hotel was full and she couldn't move us to another room. She proceeded to hand to us a mouse trap and told us to set up the trap ourselves. We had to pack our suit cases up and put it back in the car and put all our food items back into the car for fear the mouse might get into our things. We set up the trap and early in the morning we heard the trap go off. The next morning at check out, the manager at the front desk, Kim refused to give my husband her last name and was not very apologetic. When he asked why they didn't have a maintenance person available she replied what would a maintenance person had done. My husband asked do you always have your guest set up their own mouse trap? He asked if she wanted to see the mouse and she replied no. So after spending a night with this problem we were given a measly 30% discount for our troubles.

Dear 584leei, We are so very sorry for this experience. There have been no other occurrences such as yours here at the Best Western Greenwell Inn and regret that this happened to you and your family. Kim, our front desk person, reported the issue and we had Orkin Pest Control, who maintains our property regularly, come to look into the issue. Unfortunately, the perfect storm happened during your stay as she did not have the resources on-hand to meet your complete satisfaction. We are very disappointed that this happened and are doing a thorough investigation so this will not happen again. Regretfully, Sheryl Engelhardt Manager
Upon walking into the hotel room (after a hot day-long hike, mind you), the smell of raw sewage hit my nose and I immediately checked the toilet to see if a gross surprise had been left behind. I then proceeded to call the front desk to let them know that quite frankly, the room smelled like feces! I invited the front desk staff to come and smell the room and they agreed that it smelled like sewage. They offered to bring an iononizer, which they did, but let me know I had to leave the room for at least an hour so the machine could cycle the air and smell out. And here all I wanted to do was take a shower to cool off and take a nap and rest, but I could not stay in the room. The front desk staff did offer their last room, which was street facing and very loud. I declined as I wanted a quiet room. I was very disappointed about this whole smelly room and wished I could have had a much better stay and better review of this hotel.

Dear Azalea F, We are very sorry for the circumstances under which you entered your room. The City of Moab is addressing the problematic sewer-line issue by approving a new plant and construction has commenced. Respectfully yours, Sheryl Engelhardt Manager Best Western, Greenwell Inn
The Best Western Plus is our go-to hotel when we are in Moab. It's consistent with other Best Westerns in service, quality, and value. The Moab one is close to shopping and restaurants, has a good breakfast buffet, and is clean and well-staffed. Just a few miles away from Arches National Park and Canyonlands.
This hotel was beautiful! I love the 2 shower heads, that was something I was totally impressed with! The Keurig in the room was a nice touch though we didn't use it. The pool was awesome. I got to breakfast right before it closed, so the pickings were slim. But the the area was big and I was able to sit on the terrace! It was beautiful. OH I loved the gift at check in AND the extra points if you are a reward member that is! I'll be back if ever in the area!
Friendly staff and helpful to the end. The lobby was welcoming and coffee was always available. Easy check in and check out. The location was ideal in the center of town. Walking to shops and restaurants. Overall, just right for our vacation through the National Forests.
The location is very convenient. It is right in the heart of town within walking distances to restaurant and shops. The view is great. The pool, fitness center and laundry were also convenient. Breakfast and lobby area were spacious and well decorated. Food was good and plenty (although it is powdered eggs) The only negative I have was that my room was not clean when we checked in. There was urine residue on the underside of the toilet and dirt streaks and dried paint chips in the bathtub. I should not have to bring this to anybody's attention. It is a given that the room should be clean when you come in without having to inspect it and nag someone to come and clean it. I was so disgusted that I had to go buy cleaning supplies and clean it myself so my children can use it. I didn't want them to come back and just spray bleach on it as there was a strong odor when we walked in. Bleach does not equate to clean. I was very disappointed especially at 175/night. When I told front desk that the bathtub also is not draining I watched the staff write down the wrong room number which makes me think that they just make it like they care but they really don't. BTW, the light in the bathroom is very dim which might be purposeful so you could not see dirt.
We had three rooms in our group. One room had food in the bed between the sheets. Clearly they were not changed. My room had no remote. After arguing with the front desk I was given one that had blood on it. After cleaning it myself I found it did not work. Our other friends needed a hairdryer but there room did not have one (ours did). They were told the hotel was out of them.
Great stay in Moab, Utah while visiting the Arches and Canyonlands. Very convenient location on Main St. near all of the shops and restaurants. Easy parking-lots of spaces. Comfortable, clean room and bath. Courteous staff and great breakfast buffet.
Taking the positives first...the hotel is in the heart of 'downtown' Moab so there are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is also very well situated for accessing Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The rooms are relatively well equipped and comfortably furnished. It provides very reliable wifi and plenty of parking. So far so good. Unfortunately...when we pay £310 ($390) for a two night stay we do not expect grubby pillow cases, unlaundered bedding and a sheet with a rip in the middle of it. (This was reported at the reception desk and the torn sheet was replaced in the morning.) Although the sound insulation seemed quite good this did not extend as far as the A/C noise from adjacent rooms which was a little intrusive and although there is a wide choice of hot and cold food at breakfast the same cannot be said of the tepid and flavourless coffee which left us having to drive to the City Market Supermarket two blocks south of the hotel where Starbucks were thankfully able to provide coffee as it should be. So, all in all, this is actually not a bad hotel but a little attention to detail would make it so much better and raise it from just average to very good.
A nice hotel with pool and small gym. Located in the center of town. Easy drive to Arches National Park north of town. Well kept and clean. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Breakfast is included. And most important the air conditioning works. The only negative is low water pressure, which is partially compensated by two shower heads instead of the standard single. Pricing is around $200 per night.
We had a great stay at the Best Western Greenwell Inn. There was plenty of parking -- even with bike racks. They also had pull through spots for cars with trailers!!! The breakfast was great and we ate on the patio which had fabulous views of the Red Cliffs Moab is known for. You can also access a bike trail right from their parking lot!!!! This hotel is in the middle of downtown which means we didn't have to worry about parking. In the evening we ate out at great restaurants within 2 blocks of the hotel. In Moab it doesn't get any better than this hotel!!!! I'm coming back!!!!!
This is one of two Best Western motels in Moab. Both are located in the heart of the tourist area with many dinning & shopping options. The Greenwell was super clean and most of the rooms were tucked back away from traffic. The lobby was very upscale, as well as the breakfast facilities. Breakfast food options include meat, eggs, potatoes, fruit, cereal, a pancake machine, etc. The workout room was well equipped and had room for yoga or dance, Pool was gated, pretty & well maintained. Highly recommend!
Very good hotel. Located in the downtown area of Moab. Made it easy for walking to stores and dinning. Easy in and out of the parking lot. The staff has been very helpful and willing to get things done.
Nice hotel in very good location. Big rooms and very comfortable beds. We had room far from road, so it was very quiet. Nice pool and good laundry. Very friendly people at reception and breakfast. Would stay again.
Took Pictures of Mold on bathroom wall and lots of dusty bunnies under bed. Staff was otherwise great and especial the Gentlemen who monitored the breakfast nook. Breakfast was fine, good location in Moab. Not what I expect from a Best Western
This is a real nice motel in downtown Moab. Easy walks to shops, restaurants and other activities. They have a decent pool, hot tub and workout room. It's in the middle courtyard/parking lot area. The rooms are pretty comfortable and quiet. They have hard wood floors, which is a little unusual. Glad we were on the second floor! The water pressure in the shower was a little weak, but it did have a double shower head. Their breakfast was pretty good. Eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pastries, coffee and juice. They even had a pancake machine. Push a button...receive pancakes. Magic!
The room was dark and dank with very low ceilings. Don't get a first floor location if you actually end up booking this venue - your upstairs neighbors will keep you annoyed and awake. Moab is the only place around to get a room when you visit Arches and other surrounding parks. For this reason I assume they have jacked up the prices. The towels were ratty, the beds were very squeaky and uncomfortable. The cleanliness was pretty non-existent. This was the most expensive place we stayed on a month long trip, and by far the worst. Don't book it. Do airbnb or something less expensive...can't be much worse. Yuck. One redeeming thing - the little guy who worked the breakfast area in the morning was hard-working and kind. Not worth $250/night though.

This hotel met all of our expectations. Centrally located in town! Walked to shopping and dining. The staff was always willing to help us make reservations and get fishing information. Also told about local events in the area.
This hotel is situated in a great spot in downtown Moab. It offers easy walking access to all the restaurants and shops. The room was good size with "hardwood" floors...great for after a day of hiking in the sand. That is about all the great things I can say. There were dirty towels and dirty pillow cases...we threw them all in a pile for housekeeping. The fridge only worked if you left the cabinet it was sitting in open...otherwise nothing would get cold. The A/C was loud and brought in all the pollen and allergy inducing dust while it was on. The included breakfast was average with the typical hotel free buffet selections. I would not choose this hotel again.
This hotel is awful. They charge $200 per day. The rooms are old and the furnishings need to be updated. We were on the bottom floor and could hear the people above us. There are better hotels in the area We cancelled 2nd night due to poor accommodations, noise all night long from above and the exorbitant price.
Hot water was Luke warm at best. Air conditioner very loud, stayed on ground floor and could hear people walking all night. Location is good but price paid for room was double other best western rooms we stayed at on trip. Gouging customer for staying in Moab.
Stayed in Moab two nights to see Arches National Park. This Best Western in Moab was less than 15 minutes from Arches. Located on the main drag with plenty of restaurants, shops, amenities within walking distance. The breakfast is average but enough to get you started for the day. Pool with a jacuzzi, laundry facilities, and a gym across the parking lot. A little pricey for a Best Western but seems to been in par with the hotels in downtown Moab. Very friendly hotel staff and clean, large rooms.
Hotel is right downtown so it's in within walking distance of shopping and loads of restaurants. Short drive to Arches and about 25 minutes to Canyonlands' Island in the Sky. Nice hotel balcony area to relax by the fire. Sat by the pool while doing a load of laundry that is right there at the pool area. Breakfast was free, but not a lot of choice of foods.
Disappointed with our room and the rate was high. The room had a smell to it and the room have exterior doors. I checked in at 4:00 and I was told our room wasn't ready. Needless to say, I was not pleased. The reception clerk offered to contact me when my room was ready and did text me not long after, but again when hotel checking is 4:00, guests expect their room to be ready. When the guests arrived at the room above ours, it was very loud and we heard all their walking and wheeling their suitcases in. The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast was definitely above average.
Very clean and friendly service. Reasonably priced. Would go back. Complete hot breakfast comes with price of the room. Handicap friendly. Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of everything. The Arches National Park is within 5 miles.
The staff was rude and the room was hardly made. Both beds seemed to have been thrown together seconds before entering. Would be surprised if the sheets were actually changed. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Dear megan526, Thank you so much for your feedback. I wish you had spoken to me regarding your experience while you were at our property, I would have rectify the situation to ensure you had a nice experience with us. We do strive to deliver a superior customer experience and apologize we did not succeed in this with you. Sincerely, Rachelle - GM
This is a very good hotel, what I expect from BW: excellent location, friendly staff, typical continental breakfast, very nice lobby, excellent 24/7 coffee, very quiet and clean room, but dollar for dollar it's about $30-40 over priced (granted this is a very subjective call). I understand one pays for the downtown location and convenience, but the room amenities do not justify the high retail price in my opinion. If the price was ~$35 less, I would give this hotel 5 stars.
We stayed there the end of April for two nights while hiking in Arches and this is the best place to stay. It is a very clean hotel and the service is excellent! The toilet stopped working at night and someone immediately came down to fix it. We slept very well and it is so comfortable to stay. The breakfasts at Best Westerns are the best you could ask for. The best food to start your day. Hot full breakfasts with eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal and fruit. The people behind the front desk offer excellent service. They are very friendly and you could not find a better place to stay.
Haven't been to Moab in years and was astonished to discover how busy it is. Make reservations early at this time of year. This hotel was a great bargain for an expensive town. They have a lovely deck area with a fireplace which we enjoyed. The motel is also right next to the walking path along the river.
The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, typical of a BW hotel. I had a pleasant two day stay. Thought the rate was high but Moab is a very popular and expensive place to stay. Couldn't access vending machines later in evening.
Nice place to stay at reasonable price. Good location in Moab-close to shops and variety of restaurants. Staff gave excellent service. Quiet. Updates to original building are well done. Pool and exercise facility modern and clean. Grounds well kept.
We spent 4 nights in Moab at the Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn and we loved the atmosphere and location. The outdoor pool and hot tub were in a quiet area in a separate building and it was so nice to relax while our laundry was being done steps away. We loved sitting on the front patio in the evening and watching all the activity on the main street. Moab is a mecca for sports of any kind. Thanks Best Western for a great and memorable stay.
We had a great experience as always, this hotel is right in the center of the action if you are attending the April action car show. It is close in walking distance to all sorts of fun things to do and the hotel staff was very accommodating.
This hotel gets nearly 5 stars. I'm giving is a one star as a warning to anyone checking into the rooms above the lobby on the second floor numbered 800-822. These are top of the line $200 a night handicap accessible recently remodeled rooms. Unfortunately the main through fare highway 191 runs outside the front door of this hotel. To add insult to injury it is located on a corner with a stop light. So the semi trucks brake with their engine and squeaky brakes approaching the light. Then with their exhaust stack 10 ft. from your window, they throttle up with a deep raspy roar hauling a full load. This went on all night even at 3 AM. Even with noise cancellation head phones, the noise kept us awake. Not acceptable. The louvre blinds failed to keep out light. Pool was an open walk across parking lot. All other amenities were 5 star. Now we know why this was their last room. It should only be rented to deaf people. Perhaps a room further from the office, but this should have been remodeled into a street side patio or conference room. Perhaps too noisy for a conference room. Heads up on rooms 822 and surrounding ones above office. Breakfast excellent. Shower bath all excellent. Just a super noisy room location.

Dear Todd W, I do apologize for the noise. Thank you letting us know our property rates a 5 stars if not for the noise. Thank you also for pointing out that most of our other guestrooms are situated away from the Main Street. It would be our pleasure to host you again if you come back through Moab and in a room that is away from the Main Street. Sincerely, Rachelle - GM
Thank you Best Western for providing a very convenient and pleasant motel for us in Moab Utah for our attending the car show. The breakfast was a nice bonus. Loved the pool and hot tub as well as the exercise gym. All of our needs were met by helpful staff.
This is a great location and predictably nice room. Very good staff. But pretty expensive and the breakfast was terrible. We stayed four days. For the first three we went back to the buffet trying to find something real or tasty and it was not possible. By the last mornin we were resigned to just having an English muffin and coffee.
Easy to find although traffic outside busy. Welcoming reception area and helpful staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast very good. Motel like accommodation and we stayed on second floor. All rooms seemed to lookout at car park. A little noisy as there was a car show when we stayed.
My husband, teenage son and I stayed here for 10 nights and it was just what we needed. Clean rooms, nice pool area, laundry, gym, close to all Moab attractions, trailer parking and friendly staff. Everyone at the hotel made our stay lovely and we felt at home. The top deck with fire place is fantastic as well.
Well, I Paid a HIGH PRICE (WAY HIGH...$250 for just a one night stay!!) THINKING...that this was going to be the Best Place to stay in town and THANK GOODNESS I did not book this for more than one night ! The Lobby is very impressive, Nice furniture and all, but the rooms was nothing more than a Motel 6 or 8 type of room with maybe a nice bedspread and a somewhat decorative Mirror in the dressing area. Now here were go with even more..I took Photos of the small area in the toilet, shower tub area of how DIRTY the floor was because I took one of their washcloths and was going to wipe up a small spot that I saw that looked dusty or ? anyhow I ended up using the washcloth on the entire floor in the small area of maybe 3 X 4 Ft and you will see the Photo at the end of my review to show just how dirty it was. Obviously not cleaned in quite some time. Also their Continental style breakfast was less than desirable. Eggs were COLD, and just about anything else that should be warm. They had run out of several things before we even finished our Skimpy meal. We had to go elsewhere and buy something to eat after paying for breakfast at this hotel. I would NEVER RECOMMEND The Best Western Greenwell Inn to ANYONE. Oh and I just was going to add a photo and remembered that when I threw the sheet back to get in bed...the sheets were TOTALLY wrinkled and I am not even sure that maybe they might have been slept in prior to be as wrinkled as they were? Photo attached.
We experienced a quick checking. We also liked the way the hostess was eager to help us find a nice dining place. She was very helpful in giving us directions to where we needed to go. Checking out was a breeze.
To begin, we came to Moab for the hiking so did not expect 5 star accommodations. However, the Best Western Plus Greenwell was average if not below average for a hotel. Check-in was smooth and lobby has been updated. Then you leave the lobby and see the rooms. It's motel style so all rooms face the parking lot. The rooms were extremely dated and had a general unclean feel to them. Bathroom was well past it's prime and again just felt dirty. Bedding was thin (I was freezing at night) and the pillows were old and used. The breakfast was fine and typical for this type of hotel. Eating area was clean and well maintained. The property did have a pool and hot tub that was nice and in good condition. Best part of the hotel was the location. It is right in downtown Moab and very easy to walk to restaurants or shops. However, even the things that were "good" about this property were overshadowed by the run-down, drab, unclean rooms. Also, the price of the room was $200+/night so far from a bargain.
The hotel was great! Located in the center of Moab, the hotel looks as though it was recently remodeled. New bath rooms with tile and granite counter tops. The rooms had new furniture and beds with those new Sheet and comforter systems. The staff was professional and friendly. They had a great breakfast with a sufficient number of choices.
We asked for a ground floor which was great. This is a 3 star plus hotel. Rooms a little on small size but two double beds quite comfortable. Easy walk to the only hotel bar and food for dinner. The Jeep 4x4 convention was in town for the week what a great street view of passing Jeeps doing their evening street show. This hotel has safe parking for SUVs as all the bays are painted for the big pickups. I am a best Western member and did expect a more up to date facilities. It is below standards of many other Best Westerns. We are two Aussies from Australia and have used Best Westerns in Europe and many other countries and this hotel does not meet the standard we are accustomed to elsewhere, and the nightly rate should be less maybe they raised the rates for Easter and the Jeep convention, which I don't appreciate when on 5 weeks touring the US.
Ok. The squatting position is the best way to eliminate BUT if you have any mobility issues, the toilets are far from comfort height. The walls are thin and corridor is exterior so everybody walks in front of your window forcing you to keep the curtains drawn anytime you are in the room. Bed was not particularly comfortable. Breakfast had good choices and front desk folks were nice. Pool was across parking lot but the water was too chilly for swimming. On the main drag so you can walk most anywhere in town. The wifi was SPOTTY and I kept on losing internet connection.
My daughter and I stayed here on our way through Moab on our way to Monticello for a funeral. This is an older hotel, but has been nicely updated. It is a two-story outdoor-access hotel, but there is an elevator for access to the second floor; so room accessibility is not an issue. The front desk and reception area is warm and inviting. Our room was well-appointed and our beds were very comfortable. I especially liked the updated flooring in the room which was a wood-look laminate. It seemed nice and clean and was so much better than the crunchy carpet in so many chain hotels. I had forgotten my toothbrush, but was given one by the front-desk clerk upon asking for one. As comfortable as we were, our favorite part of our stay was the breakfast in the morning. The breakfast room was spacious, more like a restaurant, and there were plenty of options. The breakfast room attendant was attentive and made sure that everything was well-stocked. There is a hot food counter where a short-order cook will prepare several items to your liking. There's also hot oatmeal with a variety of add-ins including fruit toppings. They also offer fresh fruit and a variety of pastries and yogurts. It was a great start to our day after a refreshing sleep. We would definitely stay here again.
Centrally located, comfortable rooms, well maintained facility. Basic amenities- TV, pool, wifi. Breakfast area is very nice with fruit, eggs. "Chefs" on hand to manage the omelette and pancake/waffle bar.
Hotel staff was super friendly. We really liked the pergo wood floor. The wood floor was not cold. Replacing carpet with pergo eliminates the red dirt stain. The complimentary full breakfast was wonderful. We will stay at this hotel again.
Great stay for an older couple interested in a good location. We recommend this hotel. Good breakfast, but they need to add yogurt to their offerings. Arches National Park is well worth the visit. Ole!
Stayed here last weekend, were hopeful since there were many positive reviews. Location is fine, however, it's loud, specially if you stay on the second floor, closer to the highway, windows so not seem to be double plane, you hear it all. Avoid staying near the patio area. Even though you are in a non-smoking room area, you have people that will smoke all evening in the patio near the rooms, ultimately sending the smoke to you. Beds are horrible, super soft and with an unstable bed frame. We had no hot water for 2 nights, when called and informed the front desk, the young lady did not seem to care much. Although a credit of $30.00 was issued upon check out, it certainly did not make up for the rest of the issues.
great place to stay for center of town. the only recommendation would be to have a pricing option for special events such as the celtic festival held during the \\weekend of november . also having a block pric for more than 10 rooms for such groups.
From the time we arrived we were made to feel that we were welcomed. Because we stayed 3 nights they suggested a quiet room in the back. Good choice. We found the room to be clean and with all the amenities that were advertised. They had a large tv, refrigerator and a keurig coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable. The only negative is the toilet is very low and there is a need for a shelf in the shower. Other than that no complaints. The breakfast was one of the best we have encountered in our journeys in this area. Being hikers they even furnished a grab and go bag for us. You won't be disappointed. They do have smoke free rooms, important more now than in the past.
This motel was clean and comfortable with plenty of desk space and good Internet connection for work. Breakfast was the best I have had in any similar motel/hotel. Lots of choices and well-staffed to cater to individual tastes.
Breakfast was hot a had a lot to offer. The bed was comfortable. The double headed shower was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were large but older in need of an upgrade. They were very clean and pleasant enough to enjoy. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
Well located in centre of Moab with plenty of parking. Good sized rooms. Breakfast only average. No restaurant but plenty of choice nearby. Recommended for simple overnight stay. Has an outdoor pool and laundry facility.
Nice clean, modern hotel. Well located in the centre of Moab close to many restaurants and easy drive to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Lots of parking, and not too loud - latest I slept since arriving.
Good Motel in the middle of town. Great wifi. Good breakfast included. Get there early if you want to get a room near an entrance next to a room on the bottom floor. They have a wall between the parking and the rooms, making you walk the entire length of the parking lot with your luggage if you get the worse room placement.
We read the reviews and asked for a room on the second floor so it would be quiet. We got a room toward the back of the parking lot and we didn't have any issues with noise at all. The room was large and clean. It had a small fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was large and had plenty of room for our toiletries. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was the standard fare. The location was very good. I slipped on a rock at Arches and sprained my ankle and we decided to leave a day early. The staff was very accommodating and understanding, something you can't take for granted! We definitely would stay here again.
This hotel was in a great location. You can literally walk to various restaurants and shops. The room are clean and appear newly updated. We took advantage of the nice hot tub after a long day of exploring near by Arches and Canyonlands.
Best hotel I have ever stayed at in Moab !! Will be back in a few months on the next trip ! It was located right in the middle of downtown Moab and we could walk to all the little shops and everywhere we wanted to eat
The BW Greenwell Inn in Moab offers a typical BW experience: clean, comfortable, convenient and a good value for my travel dollars. We especially appreciated the breakfast experience at this BW. It is a small area, so staff fixed the pancakes and served the oatmeal. What a difference it made! The breakfast staff was very friendly and willing to help us. I will recommend this location to friends and family.
This hotel is located near the end of Moab's Main Street within walking distance of many restaurants. There's also a grocery store a few blocks away, which was convenient, and we stocked up on supplies there. I was pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast offered by the hotel. I was expecting some cereal and pastries, but there were hot items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal with toppings and pancakes. Great way to start the day before heading to Arches, and the hotel had tables outside where you can take your food to eat. The room itself was pretty standard but clean and comfortable. Plus, the mini-fridge was a nice feature and we loaded it up with drinks and snacks for our duration. Would stay here again!
we stayed here in 2012 and September 2016 and there are some real nice improvements. They now have a breakfast location with a real nice breakfast which they did not have in 2012. The rooms have been renovated and look more up to date now. This is a great location in a beautiful city with Castle Valley around the corner, which is not well know and not touristic but amazingly beautiful.
Hotel was centrally located. Close to restaurants and many stores. There was a good assortment of items on the breakfast menu and chefs to customize your oatmeal and pancakes. The serving staff were courteous and helpful. Price was a little on the high side compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Utah.
Easy to get to on the main street. shops and amenities within walking distance. Well kept, Room service was excellent . Great breakfast service with friendly staff. The senior staff in the breakfast area was very attentive and offered newspaper assistance without asking.
I chose to spend 5 nights at this Moab Best Western primarily due to more modest prices than the other and also, while still within an easy walk to the central part of town, was just enough removed so as to be able to escape the constant foot and vehicle traffic that is the center of this tourist town. I was not disappointed. The room was clean and fresh and, when I was unable to eat the free breakfast, heading out to hike before dawn, was able to get a complimentary 'go bag' of bottled water, energy bar and fruit, perfect for a desert outing. Moab is a hiker's and cyclist's dream location and this hotel serves both communities, as well as the car tourists, well.
Supply and demand dictates the price but I don't think it is to overpriced. The rooms were clean and of a decent size with everything you need, comfortable beds hot shower etc. The property is just where you need to be for all Moab's attractions and national parks. The staff here are all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to staying here again.
A great place to stay in Moab, Utah. Located within walking distance of much of what I needed, it is my first choice when in Moab. Modern, clean, competent staff, good breakfast, efficient staff and operations.
I understand the location dictates the price. However, this was not a $200.00/night hotel. Lobby & breakfast area was inviting, bright colors, & clean. However room was unacceptable; dirty hairdryer, very poor strange dual shower heads, heavy cleaner smell, lack of outlets, high price, cold wooden floors & no microwave (space was empty).
Located right on Main Street for quickly heading out to Arches or Canyonlands. The largest breakfast spread I have ever seen for a free hotel breakfast. However, the hotel is very expensive for what is otherwise a basic room. The breakfast servers are rude and snarky. Otherwise, everything was fine.
A treat for a little town and comfortable beds, location great. Walking everywhere in town. Disappointed in walk along the stream by the hotel, was so much nicer two years ago...now not kept attractive.
The location of this hotel is great - it's located on the main street in Moab. Restaurants, shops, the general store, liquor store and tourism center are a quick walk. If you are planning on going to Arches, you'll need a vehicle, but it's an easy drive. The breakfast is varied - coffee, tea, fruit, eggs, sausage, juice, yogurt, muffins and more. There is outside seating, and one morning, we sat there for over an hour with our coffee, watching all the activity. The pool is small, but it was over 100 degrees every day we were there, and so we used it every day! My only complaint is that there was no shade anywhere in the pool area, and for some reason, there were no umbrellas (there are tables and chairs). We had to leave the pool because the sun was so intense. If I go back to Moab, I would stay at this hotel again.
This hotel is located in the center of town making it very easy to get around without a car in the evenings. The beds are quite comfortable & rooms clean. Unfortunately the rooms are very noisy. Anyone walking or talking outside the room or in the room upstairs was very loud, clearly audible, & sleep disturbing.
After picking myself up off the floor when I learned what the per night price was, and reading a few negative reviews, I had no idea what to expect when we arrived at this hotel. But as it turned out, it was quite nice! Yes, it's old, but it has been renovated to a very reasonable standard. It is neat and tidy outside and in. The floors are an attractive honey-colored wood pattern with a throw rug between the beds. The room was clean and comfortable and a good size. One thing I particularly liked was the swing-away makeup mirror in the bathroom. Most of the high end hotels don't even have that. The people at the front desk were very pleasant and welcoming, and we enjoyed our stay.
We stayed five nights during our visit to Arches and Canyonlands. We loved the location, a beautiful setting in Moab and we walked to shops and restaurants. The breakfast offered was a nice choice of hot items, breads, fruit and cereals. We appreciated the "Grab and Go" bag which included bottled water, fruit and granola bar, all complimentary. Two coin operated washers and dryers were available in the laundry room next to the pool. Our room was comfortable and included a refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for two nights and the location was great. The room was ok with fridge and coffee machine. There was a little pool which was chilly but in a relatively private spot so nice to relax by after a day sightseeing. Breakfast was included and pretty standard. The staff were very helpful but the food a little dull - that said, it was included! Wifi in the lobby was fine, but non existent in our room (211). When we asked about this, we were told that no one else had complained and given a toll free number to call the engineer. All in all, this hotel did what it set out to do for us - great location in the centre on Moab with access to all the beautiful parks in the region.
We stayed there a few nights ago mariah did a fantastic job she has a knowledge of the city and surrounding she helped us with a great attitude and we were very grateful for this kind of customer service thank you
We enjoyed our two-night stay at the Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn in Moab, Utah. It is centrally located to downtown and within walking distance of restaurants and shops along the main street of town. The amenities were excellent, the bedding and showers were first rate and the price was reasonable. A separate area housed the pool, whirlpool and exercise room in a beautifully landscaped setting. The background of the mountains surrounding was lovely. It is at the base of Arches National Park. The town itself is a fun place to explore. We will look for Best Western Plus hotels again. I forgot to mention that a complimentary hot breakfast was served in an ample dining room daily with extra setting outdoors on the patio overlooking town. Breakfast options were different daily and always excellent.
Spent two nights here with friends while visiting the parks. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Two queen beds were comfortable and the room was well appointed. Keurig coffee maker, flat screen and a fridge were great. Wifi was adequate. Breakfast had enough to satisfy but wasn't extraordinary. Eggs, bacon, oatmeal with toppings, some fruit, yogurt and juice/coffee. Friendly staff was appreciated. Didn't check out the pool but it looked nice. Elevator is available. The hotel is right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants so we enjoyed not having to drive to dinner, etc. Can't go wrong if you're in the area.
Originally scheduled for a 3 night stay, ended up checking out after 1 night. We arrived to little fanfare with a check-in that was lackluster, receptionist was not friendly or moody, just there. Arrived in room (2nd floor) and was disappointed on how old the room was, it appeared clean and suitable so we started to unpack. The shower/toilet are extremely small but again, I made do. Was disappointed (as a previous poster stated) that the paint was peeling and towels were old. As I prepared to get in the bed, I noticed strands of hair in the bed. I then noticed a huge yellow stain in the middle of the bed. Disgusted I called front desk. She apologized and stated she would be up with new linens. She arrived within 10 minutes and apologized and attempted to pass me linens. I inquired as to why I had to change linens and not a better service for this obvious dirty bed, she apologize and stated she was only person working. After this I was pretty much done, I would have checked out the night this occurred but all the hotels in the immediate area were booked for the night. Receptionist apologized profusely and I don't blame her, she tried but was the only person at the hotel. She took off a percentage of our bill and tried to remedy the situation. Unclean linens and the price range of this hotel is disappointing. Will not stay here again and advise others to rethink their stay.
We have stayed at this hotel in early September during our Utah visit. Hotel is on good location near restaurants walking distance. Our room and bathroom look like renovated with minor cosmetic work. They have painted bathtub and toilet bowl which already start peeling looks very cheap for rate they are charging. During check out I have made three trips to front desk for key didn't work finally housekeeping staff let us in to pick up our missed item
This was a great place to stay with lots to do and see good location of the hotel with nice staff. We enjoyed out stay and would recommend this hotel the pool area was nice with beds not too close to one an other
This property is really not very good, especially with the price one must pay. The room was dingy, with a dirty floor and towels and other room amenities just good enough. The pool was also ok, but too cold so we just used the hot tub. I wouldn't have high expectations for your stay here.
We came from Illinois on a motorcycle and arrived a day early. They graciously helped us. So we stayed for to nights the 8th and 9th if Sept. Due to we were getting married Sept 10 at sunrise. Each day the staff were helpful, talkative ready to accommodate, the laundry was clean and the pool was great. Breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were immaculate. After coming back from sightseeing all day the room smelled amazingly clean. THEN we left at 5:50 am leaving our stuff in the room to go to Arches and be married at sunrise. We came back to a room of Roses and chocolates. I was so surprised but this tells you how attentive they are we told noone but manager Carol stated she heard us talking. Everyone is Great. Highly recommended this hotel.
Not sure what they could do better, it really shows they care what they do. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. Awesome location right downtown close to everything. A very nice pool area which was well maintained heated to 80 degrees. They do a good job with breakfast. Can not say enough good things about this place. If we ever return to Moab we will stay here again.
We were here for two weekend nights so we could tour national monuments in area. The staff were all well trained, very pleasant and willing to talk. We ended up on the second floor mid way down the floor near a convenient stairwell. If you need to use a luggage cart and the elevator it is a bit cumbersome to get that done. Very quiet both nights and good variety of breakfast foods. Easy walk to all kinds of restaurants and retail stores as it is located right downtown...There is a patio for eating outside weather permitting. The stay was rather pricey but I guess the market supports such during this prime time of the year ($$$).
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I enjoyed that the rooms did not have carpet. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good (have eaten a lot that weren't so good) and the staff were very friendly. We only stayed one night but stay at this hotel again if ever in the area!
Friendly and helpful staffs. I had problem with the internet at room. The front desk staff helped me to reset it in a minutes. Very clean room. The staffs at breakfast room provided excellent services
We'd highly recommend this hotel. The front desk staff, goes out of their way to make sure every need is met. We arrived early and they met the anticipated time our room would be ready. We stayed one day extra and had to move to another room. Poor planning on our part. They moved our luggage to our new room so we could start our day early of exploring the national parks in the area. Arturo left a card in our room and made sure our room was clean to our satisfaction. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable in Moab!
The intent of this review is to be helpful to fellow travelers in a way that we would have appreciated and not to be overly or unnecessarily critical. Positives: great central location; excellent wi-fi; coffee and breakfast in the lobby is included; large fridge in room; spacious room; large parking spaces and plenty of them; nice pool area; laundry facilities on premise; wife says make up mirror also a plus; mostly clean. Not so positives: rates are way more than they should be if not for captive audience, like 3x or 4x too high for what you get; sheets are basic and barely fit bed; pillows are ok; towels are poor and rough; paint is literally peeling away in the sink and shower from a bad spruce up attempt; walls and ceilings are pathetically thin (we had a "thumper" awake us at 5am sharp each and every day); breakfast is ok maybe once; could have been cleaner; very dated. Bottom line is we would not stay here again. We would go to the newer Hampton Inn or brand new Marriott Fairfield in the edge of town.
The hotel was nicely kept. Staff was attentive. The breakfast was delicious. Made to order and very good.I'm not sure why I need 200 characters in order to post this to trip advisor. If they want a response they should take what they can get.
Great location, that allows you to walk to eating or shopping in Moab. There is park within easy walk along a stream. Nice Breakfast area that allows you a patio to sit outside or comfortable inside seating. Pool, Hot tub, and room was very nice. Canyonlands and Arches National Parks located close by. Colorado River activities also available.
If it were not so expensive ($200 all in), I would have given it an excellent rating. The room was very nicely appointed and the beds were comfortable. Also, the hotel has an elevator (although we were on the first floor so it was irrelevant for us). We were in room 104, which although it was close to the road, was very quiet. When we got in, we did notice someone playing a loud wind instrument, apparently at the Szechuan restaurant next door(?), but we couldn't hear it once we closed the door to the room. We asked the front desk people what they thought of that restaurant, and both recoiled in horror before one of them recommended Zax across the street (for which she coincidentally had a coupon with her name on it). The breakfast was much more elaborate (and tasty) than usual at other Best Westerns. They even had a server making custom oatmeal orders. It was like a real restaurant rather than just a breakfast nook.
Our stay at this Inn was pleasant. The location was excellent. The breakfast was very nice. The breakfast staff was very helpful. The rooms were slightly above average. Was good value for the money. We would return to the hotel at our next visit
Riding our Harley in to Moab, from Monument Valley,Utah,we needed a break.Fortunately we discovered this Hotel! (and they had a room)It was such a great place, pool, food, everything close,we ended up staying a few days .The hotel and surroundings show pride and the laundry is by the pool! Swim, tan while your wash is being done!Fantastic place! Everyone we encountered was so friendly and helpful!
We stay here on our road trips from Santa Fe to Oregon. It's a very comfortable hotel with large rooms and friendly staff. The location is right downtown, with lots of restaurants to choose from within easy walking distance. Good breakfast offering as well. Staff is always very friendly.
I like this place. It is not the best in the world.... but it is pretty good for Moab. I have stayed at La Quinta in Moab before, and this blows it away- this was our second stay this year here at this hotel. Rooms are OK (its a motel for gosh sakes, it is not the Ritz), and it is central. Staff is GREAT!
You really cannot go wrong with either Best Western in downtown Moab. The staff, design of the hotel, pool and location of the Greenwell Inn is great. You can walk to all of the restaurants and shops in downtown Moab from this location. There is a Szechuan restaurant right next door.
An obviously older motel, we were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. It was roomy with up to date furnishings, fridge and microwave. Large flat screen TV with good reception and channel selection. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was above average and the staff very friendly. This one's a keeper if we ever return to Moab.
Hotel screwed up reservation. Poor accessibility for ADA people. One elevator to serve a hotel w/2 floors a block long. You literally have to walk a city block to get to the far end of the 2nd floor, OR carry up all your suitcases, etc. up outside steps! That is NOT good. ONE ice machine for entire hotel. They need another elevator, another ice machine. Period. Also frig froze fresh fruit. Beautfiul property and rooms, otherwise everything copacetic.
We stayed in this hotel. I have to be honest I was a little grossed out by the rooms. The floor is a wood laminent. I got out of the shower on the first night, walked around a bit and my feet were black. The floor was maybe swept, but not mopped. There were cob webs on the ceiling. The worst part was the bathtub. There was hair in the tub and on the floor. The only window in the room is on the main walkway to all the other rooms. So if you want any light, you'll have all the other guests looking in your room. The morning buffet was satisfactory and convenient. If you didn't go early, it was very crowded.
The hotel was well located and while fairly basic, it was clean, functional and convenient. Ariel (sp?) at the front desk was very helpful. It is nice when you call a hotel and the person you speak with on the phone is the person you interact with when you check in or have questions. Thanks Ariel for making it a great stay!
We thought this place was very nice, a little older but well maintained. It has a pretty good size pool and hot tub as well as a small gym.. Just to the east of the registration area up stairs they have a fairly large area to sit and enjoy the night, we could hear a live band down the street and people watch, in the colder months that area included a fireplace . The rooms have wood floors and are well equipped with anything you need. They also a full hot breakfast in the morning from 6;30 to 10;30 with great service and you can sit outside and eat. Just a block or so into town, centrally located.
The Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn is in the center of Moab and very close to the MOAB Adventure Center from which many activities begin. The hotel provides a breakfast buffet starting at 6:30 am which includes cereal, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon/sausage, muffins, pastries, bread/bagels and made to order pancakes. Fresh fruit and yogurt are also available. Coffee and tea are always available in the lobby. The hotel staff are pleasant enough. The rooms are dark and basic but the beds were very comfortable.
Location is great..very close walking distance to some bars and restaurants. 5-10mins drive to the entrance to arches national park. Room was big with two double beds. Iron, hairdryer, satellite tv etc. Decor is petty typical of these types of chain hotel. Breakfast was included..does only run until 9:30 though so can't really lie in. Room doesn't have a safe which was unusual..Would expect one. Check in was also a bit slow as the woman answered and phone call as we were waiting at the desk then spend 5mins accepting and processing a booking..frustrating after a day over over 5houra driving from Colorado. We would recommend overall..Would come back.
An older hotel, that is very well taken care of. We had a room in the back that was very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large with a refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
I can't really complain about this hotel other than I checked under the bed when I was leaving to make sure I wasn't leaving anything behind I it hadn't been cleaned under there for some time. Really , really dusty with a dirty pair of socks. Location is good and overall stay was good.
The Greenwell was the third of four hotels we stayed at on our trip and was a highlight. The room was spacious and the de?or was recently updated, including laminate flooring, enormous tv and huge refrigerator. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Pancakes, eggs, oatmeal bar, sausage and bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt etc. a truly great way to fuel up for a long day of activity.
Comfy rooms, centrally located, and best breakfast we had on our trip. It was very hot when we were in Moab but the room was cool and comfy. Easy parking close to room. Seemed less busy than the other BW in town. Close to many restaurants and store. Good wi fi. We did not use the pool
Nice, clean hotel with good service. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast and in-room internet included. The staff was helpful to suggest local restaurants and provide directions to them. The hotel also has a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and exercise room.
We stayed here during our first trip out to Utah and Arches. Our room was great and always neatly made. The front desk staff was great because the lady looked up the hours of the nearest drugstore for us. Best part is the breakfast in the morning. The staff was attentive with the food.
This hotel may be at the edge of town opposite the Park but it was clean and breakfast was good. We were on the first floor with the doors on the outside, ok but with one problem, the sun was on our METAL door for most of the day. Can you say 3rd degree burn. We had to watch opening and closing the door. Something they should think about. Also, the floors were not carpeted. I haven't seen that but I felt like I should be wearing socks (in 110 degree temps) when I walked around. Also found someone else's sock in the room and the furniture was stained. Outlets were also scarce.
The pool, buffet, rooms were all nice. Great staff and a great experience. Best of all it was 1 block from everything (Pasta Jays, Zax, bars, shopping, ice cream). We did it all within walking distance. Place was well kept and they had cameras to help watch my boat
An excellent place to stay and relax after seeing the natural beauty in and around Moab. Way above average for a motel stay. The beds are excellent so sleeping is easy and the breakfast area is delicious and the area not full of screaming children.
What a great hotel stay overall! Clean, perfect location, super friendly staff. The breakfast servers were so happy and eager to please. We appreciated their joyfulness. They listened to our requests, served our breakfast with a smile and wished us a wonderful day as we left! Great way to begin the day!
We really liked our stay. Felt great to arrive. The lobby smelled old, it probably is. But it is in good repair and has a happy feel. Staff friendly. Room very nice, bathroom very modern. Workout/exercise room was a 5 out of 10. Breakfast was great!
Stayed for two night after staying in many Best Western Hotel in US, UK and in Europe over the years. This was by far the worst. The concept of the much vaunted Ultraclean was lost on the staff. The room floor was filthy and the staff lied about having cleaned it when we reported a second time, Despite the complaint we were not contacted by a senior manager . We were offered 100 dollars discount off the bill
the breakfast was poor. first off I can not drink milk and I do not drink coffee I was looking forward to having orange juice. I get into breakfast and the juice machine was broken for both days we had breakfast. if the coffee or milk was broken it would be fixed fast but all the kid said to me is we have water. and the water did not even have ice in it so it was tepid. also the english muffin i picked was moldy the young lady that took it from me took it to the kid that had told me "we have water" and told her to just tell me we are sorry. So how old was the food we were getting?and for the $180.00 a night the breakfast should have bacon!!! I can say the room was good. and the front desk staff were good to work with. Breakfast staff now that was poor!!!!
This had more of a motel feel, but was clean, had a great breakfast, and a safe place to stay. Despite feeling somewhat like a motel, it is one of the more upscale places in Moab. I would recommend it to anyone.

Dear 83_Matthew, Thank you for recommending us to others. We hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Carol - Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell
This Best Western is a well kept property. I personally like the motel aspect where you can park in front of or at least near your room. The staff was very helpful in that we had to change rooms due to adding on a night. They made the process seamless and we didn't miss any part of our plans that day. A Big thanks to them. It seems a little overpriced, but reflects the area's demand for rooms. Only issue, if you're located near the office side of the property, you need Uber to go get ice.

Dear Rick, I'm glad the staff was helpful and took care of your second night. There are three ice machines located through out the property. The one in the pool house maybe is a bit closer to your room. We thank you for your patronage and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Carol - Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell
This hotel has only two things going for it. The location is good and they have a nice swimming pool. When we checked in at the desk they sent us to our rooms and they had not been cleaned. This was about 5PM in the afternoon. We were on the first floor, so I guess it is easier for bugs to get in but they should work on this. Both our room and my son and his family's room had beetles. When my husband got out of bed in the morning and I saw that there was a bug right where he had been lying. There was also a beetle in the bathroom and a flying insect. I was so glad that we were not going to have to spend another night in there. Our room was dirty also. I don't normally look under the beds and dressers in hotel rooms, but I dropped an earring that I was putting on and was looking for it. Both areas were very dirty. There were wood floors and there was thick dust and dirt under both the bed and dresser. One of the water faucets had to be turned off exactly right or it continued to drip. We could clearly hear people walking around above us. My husband went to get ice and the first two ice machines he found were broken. He finally found a third one that worked. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was average. I would not stay here again. Too many things wrong.
We have stayed in several Best Western Plus hotels and it is a real stretch to call this one a "Plus". It's not a hotel, but a motel with outside entrances. The lobby was pretty nice, but the rooms are dark and small, but pretty well decorated. It wasn't as clean as I'd expect and there wasn't even a place in the shower to put a bar of soap. The A/C was noisy. They have 2 washers, but when we arrived neither was working - the next day one was working but only for 2 days, then it was out of order. There were folks there (including me) who were on extended trips and needed to do laundry, but were unable to get it all done. The breakfast buffet was all right - normal fare, but I found it a bit odd that the oatmeal had to be served by an employee. It was OK, but seemed unnecessary. It is close to several restaurants that are easy to walk to.
We just returned from a 12 day trip to the southwest as stayed here in Moab for 4 nights. It was clean, the rooms were large and the breakfasts was wonderful. Pancakes with toppings and ham and cheese and eggs for breakfast sandwiches. Definitely everything you need for a day of hiking, rafting, etc. It was also located in the center of town so that you didn't have to take the car out as there is not a lot of parking in Moab. There was also a great pool...if there was anything I could complain about it was that the pool area had limited shade. When it is 100+ degrees shade is nice when you are watching the kids in the pool.
This hotel is in a good location. It's busy due to the number of tourists visiting in the summertime. We had a ground floor room near the front of the hotel, but it was quiet. They have a nice pool that we utilized 2 times during our stay. There's a good sized mini refrigerator in the room to refrigerate drinks and food, which was nice since we were on a road-trip of sorts. Many restaurants and shops are in walking distance of the hotel, so you feel like you're in the heart of town. I would recommend it to anyone. Good price. Good value.
We recently stayed here three adults, two rooms. Actually, we went to the Best Western (Canyonlands) first as that is the one I thought we booked. When we were told we must have booked at the Greenwell we realized they were not affiliated to each other. The two motels are night and day. Canyonlands had a very nice facade with stone work. The inside lobby was very nice and you could see the pool next to the lobby. The rooms were self contained within the building. The Greenwell is truly motel feel. All the rooms open to the outside hallways next to the parking lot. The hallways are dark and a bit dingy. Also litter was in the hallways. The pool which we didn't realize was there is off the parking lot almost if it didn't belong to the hotel. The outside doesn't compete with the various other self contained hotels in the area. Pricing same as the other Best Western. Located in the center of town. The rooms were surprisingly nicely decorated. However, the air conditioner is a bit noisy. We were on the second floor towards the back. Breakfast wasn't that great partly due to the attendants who worked there. The man in charged seemed annoyed when about 7 people arrived just before breakfast time of 6:30. It was well after 6:30 when all the food was out. In the summer most people like us, I assume, are going on excursion that start at 7 to beat the heat and the motel should make sure the food is at least all out by 6:30. I asked where the water might be as other beverages were out and was told they would get it. I waited about 10 min and was reminded they would get it. Food was average. Outside seating area ok. The Canyonlands had a beautiful seating area on the second floor. Front desk staff were outstanding.
We found a total of five beetles in our room. We stayed two nights. Two beetles were found in the sink, one on the floor, one on the ceiling and one on the cover on the bed. The bathtub didn't drain well when taking a shower. It was dusty and dirty under the beds and there was a small rug between the beds that didnt seem like it was cleaned properly. Breakfast was fine and the pool was good. Towels and sheets appeared to be clean. Would not stay here again. $200 a night is ridiculous for this place.
The staff was friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. the breakfast was good but all hotel breakfasts seem to be about the same. The main advantage was the location and quality of the rooms and the staff.
We've enjoyed Best Westerns for years, but I find myself having to write my second unfavorable review of one of their properties in just three months (the first was in Savannah in May). First of all, the motel is quite dated with dark, dreary rooms that are in need of a remodel. Secondly, we had a room that could be made into a two-room unit via a connecting door. That's usually not a problem, but there is no sound or light insulation between the rooms and we were bothered by loud noise from the adjoining room every night of our three-night stay. Lastly, the breakfasts were dreadful and served in a cramped, overcrowded dining area (the attendant concentrates her time on guarding the bananas from guests; meanwhile, the coffee urns were both empty on one of our mornings there). Nothing looked fresh. Nothing looked or tasted appealing. We decided to eat elsewhere at our expense on our third morning. If you must stay here (and we don't recommend it), insist on a non-connecting room.

Dear Terrymarc, I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our property has been recently remodeled and we continue to make updates on a daily basis. I'm sorry you had to deal with noisy neighbors and the connecting door was not helpful. Our breakfast, enjoyed by most of our guests, is cooked continuously throughout the morning and goes so fast that it is always fresh. Our coffee is also made fresh brewed daily and throughout the morning when one is empty there is always another to fill its place. Our breakfast area was recently built and provides ample space for all or our guests. The breakfast attendant would never guard the bananas, she may have been filling something or waiting for guests to pass by that gave you the wrong perception. Again I am sorry your stay was less than enjoyable. Please contact me at the hotel so we can discuss your stay further. Sincerely, Carol Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell
Our first night stay had ants. There were just a few moving about and we killed all those. When we woke up, there were a gazillions. There were all over the floor, table, blankets. My kids were freaking out! I'm just happy no one was bitten. I told the front desk about the problem. When we came back from hiking, the ants were mostly gone. A few here and there but they came back in a couple of hours. Talked with the front desk again and they came by with Raid spray. Sprayed the whole room. There were no other rooms available and we had to live with the smell! They gave us only 30% off for the second night. Overall, we weren't happy with the whole stay at all.
Hotel M, Manager at Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn, responded to this review
Dear thespit, I am sorry you had issues with ants. It is distressing to see them in the room. The pest control do comes on a regular basis and we are taking steps to eliminate them from going into the guestrooms naturally. Sincerely, Carol Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell
Well located for Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Decent, clean room. Breakfast was good with warm food. Price was very high for this type of property, but it was tourist season and the area had limited rooms. Several places to eat and supermarkets were close by as well.

Dear VicPlano, I'm glad you enjoyed our location and the breakfast. Our rates are very comparative to other motels in Moab during the peak season. Moab is beautiful year round and the rates are more attractive during the off-peak season. It would give us great pleasure to see you again and have you stay with us next time you come to Moab. Sincerely, Carol Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell
Easy to find but on an awkward road junction. Take ultra care with entering and exiting the large free carpark. The property is curios, it might at first glance look like a hotel but in reality it is a motel. Excellent fairly large, outdoor pool with hot-tub all in excellent working order. Fair number of almost new loungers, chairs and tables around. The only shade is from the building containing the gym and toilet, this only works during the morning, also a pergola - which is pretty minimal. Apparently parasols had been tried in the past but were wrecked by strong wind. I recommended that the pergola be covered by obscure plastic sheeting or similar to maintain the appearance but provide proper shade. Back in Dorset with the cloud and the rain this may not seem like an issue but while in Moab we had wall to wall sunshine and temperatures up to 100 degrees F. Reception exceedingly helpful and efficient, really pleasant people. We had been warned about noise in Moab at night so asked for a bedroom at the rear of the property, we got one on the ground floor. A range of local newspapers available. There was a Bible in our two comfortable Queens room which we had for five nights. It was a little shabby but clean and everything worked. The clock was not illuminated, when requested the bulb was replaced withing two hours- excellent. The usual kit was installed except for a microwave. There was poor sound-proofing between the floors, it frequently appeared that a herd of elephants were overhead. The bathroom contained a bath with shower over and a range of quality toiletries. The bathroom door was difficult to close, it required easing. Room service was a little sloppy. The first morning the towels dumped in the bath were taken but not replaced. Toiletries which were in use were taken and not replaced one day. All issues which were easily overcome. Excellent breakfast taken on cardboard with plastic cutlery. Plenty of choice bot hot and cold, continental or American, Unusually porridge was served and pancakes were made to order. This might seem like faint-praise but we enjoyed this hotel yes it needs money spending on it but what hotel does not?

Dear Haliley, Thank you for taking the time to fill out a review for us we value your opinion. When the town is busy, it is hard to make any left turns in Moab. Our guests take advantage of our central downtown location and take leisure stroll around town and not have to stress about traffic or parking. I'm happy to hear that maintenance took care of your needs quickly and the front desk was helpful and breakfast was good. Sorry to hear that housekeeping was not up to par. We have made some positive changes to our hotel. Housekeeping has even received a reward for excellence last week and we are very proud of them. I'm sure if you give us another try you will not be disappointed. Sincerely, Carol Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell
Our room was clean and we liked that the location was just right in Moab downtown! Price was pretty high but well, it's May and everyone was here! Front staff was very friendly and helpful with the attractions!!

Dear Isbn2016, Thank you for taking the time to fill out the review. I'm glad your room was as it should be and the front desk was friendly and helpful. Hope you come back to Moab and see us again soon. Sincerely, Carol Manager Best Western Plus Greenwell
Carefully selected this hotel for location & good ratings I saw, however, there were insects in the bathroom, and a cheap coating on plumbing fixtures was peeling off. On Sat @ 7AM, a crew was demolishing the interior of the room above, so we decided to check out and just go home after one night.
Fueled up with a great breakfast and a good night's sleep, this hotel is an excellent base station for exploring Moab and its surrounding state and national parks. Friendly staff and clean rooms plus the convenience of being poolside while you do your laundry.
We love BW for its accommodations, people, location and overall services wherever we go. We also like the consistency of its settings and surroundings plus the convenient locations in popular areas. We've stayed with BW when and wherever we could. Finally, BW is the best for budget oriented people like us1
This BW Plus has a great pool by the creek so you can hear water rushing by. The catalpa trees and Russian olive trees in the parking area turn it into an enclosed garden of sorts. Because the hotel does not face the road the rooms are quiet. The grocery store is near and it is nice to walk the main street in the evening. We were there in May and the weather was perfect.
Good location downtown. Rooms were clean comfortable and well appointed. They appear to be recently renovated. Comfortable bed with large tv. Staff was friendly and supportive. Hot breakfast buffet was very good. Restaurants, shops within walking distance.
An older but well maintained property. Room was clean and comfortable with standard amenities. The breakfast room is large, the food is good. In the center of Moab and therefore close to the action. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate several vehicles.
My husband and I arrived in Moab on a Friday evening, the same weekend as an ATV rally in the area. The first Best Western that we checked on entering Moab, was full, and the desk clerk curtly suggested a non Best Western Hotel as an alternative. We decided to go a little further into town and found the Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn. They had two rooms remaining, one of which we took. The stay was very pleasant. The staff was helpful and courteous, and the room was well appointed and and amazingly quiet! Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel.
A good hotel in a great area. Lobby of the hotel was beautiful. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Hotel was within walking distance to all the restaurants. Ten minute ride to the Arches. Pool area needs some repairs though. Railing into the pool was broken and could be dangerous.
Center of Moab, convenient to everything.Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Clean. Keurig coffee makers in room!!! I Have stayed here multiple years in a row and have always been satisfied.
I thought the hotel was great. Rooms and facilities were very clean. Lobby area was very nice. Plenty to choose from at breakfast. Wifi worked great. Pool area was nice. Plenty of parking. I would recommend this hotel other than the fact that I felt like they price gouged us because it was memorial day weekend.
Nothing to really complain about this hotel. Very convenient (except for getting in/out of) and nice. Just a bit over priced for what was offered. I'd recommend looking at another hotel near this one./
This hotel was pretty decent. The customer service was okay, nothing too spectacular. The rooms appeared to be recently remodeled, and had enough living space to not feel cramped. The breakfast was only okay, the service there wasn't great and they weren't very friendly. The hotel is right in the heart of Moab, so it was easy access to walk to the surrounding shops and restaurants. Great location.
On a recent road trip to Utah to visit a bunch of national parks, I stopped in for 2 nights at the BW Greenwell Inn in Moab. I frequently stay at BW Plus motels and have accumulated some experience with the chain. This one was OK but not one of their best. The location is great but the place needs a refresh/remodel. The strangest thing was the shower. Typical tub with shower curtain arrangement, but what was unusual was that they split the water feed line to the shower heads into 2 identical heads - side by side. The heads were designed to offer either a column stream from the center or a circle of spray jets from the circumference of each head. The outer spray jets did not work hardly at all forcing you to set both heads to the column stream. But the water pressure was not sufficient to make this setup really work like they probably intended when it was installed probably several years ago. It was a strange setup and it did not work well for me. Overall I would rate it somewhere between average and good (3.5 stars). Excellent location and reasonable accommodations.
Best Western Greenwell was a very nice hotel. The breakfast was very good, fresh food and nice variety. Location was right in the heart of the town, just a few miles from the Arches and several good restaurants.
The best things about this hotel are its location and caring staff. Our room needed updating and the advertised refrigerator was missing. No other rooms available. No replacement refrigerators. The staff put our most perishable stuff in a hotel refrigerator for us to retrieve the next day and provided a discount on the room rate. Both were appreciated. The room was dark and the wireless internet slow. The bed was comfortable.
5 days of outstanding hiking and sight seeing. The hotel was right in the middle of downtown Moab. We were within walking distance of many restaurants and shops and only 5 minutes to the entrance of Arches National Park.
Well... The room is ok, clean and quiet. But their breakfast is beyond horrible. First, the service - two young servers are the laziest I've ever seen, not friendly and just simply apathetic to customers. The food is without any variety, minimum of everything, and I've never seen oatmeal and walnuts and raisins rationed by the server. The oatmeal is wet-loose, the eggs are often burned, and you might never get a sausage if they are out an hour before they close. I've been to many Best Western hotels, and this one serves the worst breakfast. They don't offer a happy hour at the lobby as many other hotels do, no water or coffee, nothing. Boring! Comfort Inn is better in this respect, so we are switching!
The room was so clean.. The girls at the front desk was so polite. Our room is on the second floor, the staff are professionals and helpful especially the housekeepers who always smile whenever they see us. They even ask if do I need something which made me feel really special tho haha! Anyways I've got the chance to talk to the room cleaners and saw their names on their nametags kaye and the other one is rose (I do remember her name because I love roses). They are so charming and so nice to talk with. The best housekeepers I've ever met so far. And lastly, I love the pool so much! Planning my next stay here!
This hotel is okay if you need a quick stop. Ozone was used to disinfect/deodorize the room prior to our stay so I had to open all the windows to air it out. That can't be good for you. The people were very friendly - but then everyone in Moab is friendly. It's a good location so I would chose it again for that reason.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with a friend. We had a room on the second floor facing the parking lot which was recommended for being quiet. The room was a great size but the bathroom was a little small but fine for us. The room was pretty dark which was great for sleeping. The breakfast was good with pancakes and oatmeal made to order and lots of bread and pastries. There was also either potatoes or biscuits, cold cuts, fruit, and yogurt. The location was great walking distance to everything in town. They also had a pool and a hot tub. The hotel was pricey but moab seems to be expensive to stay in. All in all a good hotel that i would recommend.
Excellent hotel choice in Moab. Rooms are very nice. Great bed and shower after a day of hiking, biking, etc. Location couldn't have been better. We walked to everything in Moab - shops, restaurants, grocery store, visitor center, tour companies.
There are many options for a hotel room in Moab for one to stay. We found the Best Western PLUS Greenwell a reasonable value for the accommodations and were overall very pleased with our stay. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was particularly well presented.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was great and the location was amazing. It is great that you can park at the hotel and walk to almost all of the stores and restaurants. We will definitely return on our next trip to Moab.
Very clean hotel. Beautiful scenery here. Stephanie & Kim at the front desk were very nice and very helpful to us. Would recommend staying here. Easy access to restaurants & shops. Very happy to be here in this beautiful part of the country. Room is very clean. Keurig coffee pot in room which is a bonus for us. Beds comfortable, good pillows. Spacious rooms.
It was a nice hotel. Staff very friendly and good breakfast. Great location, just a few miles from Arches NAtional Park and near the center of town where there was a lot of action. The town of Moab is a good place where most things are in walking distance. It was a bit pricey.
We arrived on a Sunday evening with groceries to keep cold and discovered the refrigerator had been removed from our room. The front desk girls said there was no maintenance person on duty and that the only other room available was by the ice machine, but they would see what they could do. Eventually the young receptionist came with a refrigerator on a cart and my husband had to help her get it off the cart and into place. My husband is 73 and should not have been lifting this frig, but he felt sorry for this poor girl to have to do it by herself. We then needed to wash clothes and it was so dark at the entrance behind the laundry building that we couldn't see to put the room key in the door to get in, so went back to the room to get a flashlight and then decided to wait until morning as we didn't feel very safe out there not knowing the area. A security light could be added to that area. Even our room seemed dark with poor lighting and a dark decor. There was no light on the clock to even give us a night light or be able to see the time. The next morning we arrived at breakfast at 9:00 for a breakfast that was supposed to be available until 9:30 and they were out of more than one item and we were told it was too late to fix more (1/2 hour to go). These things are probably not major, except for the refrigerator issue, but there were too many that just created one annoyance after another (there were other little things besides those mentioned above). Kudos to the two girls working the desk on Sunday night, April 24. They tried their best to make things right, but really needed a maintenance man on staff to help. Upon checkout the hotel receptionist offered us extra reward points for our trouble, but as of yet I do not see them added to our account and we may never accumulate enough points to use them. Note: this motel is on the south end of Moab, not as close to the entrance to Arches NP as if you would stay on the north end of Moab. We would not stay here again.
This hotel was the 'best' of what was available, and being that it was a BW Plus, I thought it would be equivalent to the Hampton Inn we usually stay at. The desk light didn't work and had to be replaced. The we found that the light on the clock did not work. The breakfast area was laid out in a crazy way and the foods were not placed in a logical order. Although the staff was great, I would not choose to stay there again.
The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful in every way. They are fanatical about cleaning. I saw them sweeping the parking lot one day and mopping the exterior corridors another day. The breakfast is excellent, including real oatmeal, eggs and sausage, biscuits, plus cold offerings. The room was fine. The only thing that was less then perfect was low water pressure in the shower, but its definitely not a reason to skip this property. It's probably one of the nicest in Moab. And it was completely quiet despite being fairly full.
For the price, you basically have everything you need from a comfortable bed to a spacious room and breakfast provided every morning. Right in town as well so easy access to all of the surroundings. Pretty good deal overall!
I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times (10+?) over the last few years. Overall I like it quite a bit: It has a great location, right in the heart of town, with easy walking access to restaurants and shopping, sandstone views (it's Moab, duh), and even a creek trail for easy hiking. It's a classic Best Western, with external room access - which I like for convenience, and for fresh air. This hotel seems to get renovations fairly often, so overall it's in pretty good shape, though I have run into a few issues: a furnace that ran but didn't produce heat consistently (Moab gets pretty cold in the winter), and this most recent trip my room didn't have a fridge. Several of the rooms are located in the back corner or behind the stairwells, so don't have any view at all, which is kind of a bummer. Also, they added some rooms over the lobby, which are large and very nice, but because they face and are close to the main street, and because Moab attracts gearheads (people driving noisy customized Jeeps, trucks, etc.), the street noise in these rooms is high (the desk staff warned me of this when I checked in) - bring earplugs for these rooms. The breakfast is average, and if it's busy you need to get in line early before they run out of the good stuff. The place is pretty good overall, but could use a few tweaks to be perfect.
On our drive to the Grand Canyon we stayed overnight here. The Tesla charger is at the Best Western across the street. The front desk women were warm and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The floors are vinyl looking wood. It was surprising but felt very clean. There are fridges and coffee makers in the room. There is a breakfast but we choose a local eatery. The bathroom is old and narrow but functional. This was a fine place to stay.
We stayed for four nights in Moab, and this hotel was a good base for our visits to the national and state parks and scenic byways. Our room on the ground floor was clean and well-kept, no noise from the adjoining rooms despite many children. Different story from the room upstairs - the uncarpeted floors let us hear every move, and the occupants seemed to be trying to complete their 10,000 daily steps by walking back and forth for hours. Breakfast was the same every day, but with a very friendly staff and a warm welcome. Only one ice machine for the facility. Pool and hot tub were both open during our visit, and very pleasant. Laundry room by the pool was a nice amenity.
Mediocre hotel at a resort price. Older model hotel with some upgrades. Rooms $200/night (with tax) for a middle class hotel. Breakfast adequate, but nothing special and no variety offered. Very good location, and service good, but nothing else to recommend and overpriced for value
Hotel is nicely decorated, but when booking on line it stated microwaves and fridge available as 99% of Best Westerns have, but only available in 8 of 60+ rooms had any microwaves and we went without. I would have stayed at another chain if this had been listed correctly on B.W. site when booking. When staying at a chain that has got this spendy you expect the usual benefits, like microwave and daily newspaper which also was no longer available.
Offen stay at a BW because of supposed rewards, which they have yet to give me...so useless. This one was OK but no better than the others yet cost more and the front desk was understaffed. Guess for some reason they think Moab is more trendy and therefore they can charge more.
We come here usually yearly for the car show weekend. We came this year for an additional nights stay. We like this Inn the best of all choices here in Moab. They do a great job with keeping it very clean and updated. The beds are very comfortable. The pool is one of the nicer pools in the area. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional.
Moab UT, sits between the incredible national parks of Arches and Canyon Lands, so the location is perfect for visiting these parks. The BW Plus Greenwell Inn is right in the middle of town, surrounded by the restaurants, museums, visitor centers, and shopping, etc. so a perfect location. The room was comfortable, and attractive with wood floors, and large wall pictures of scenery from the parks that fit the beauty of the area you're in. A surprising treat was we were on the second floor and happened to look across into a park like area and there were a herd of deer feeding, now that just made the outdoor experience even better! The only slight issue is breakfast is suppose to be at 6:30 am, given the adventure people were on, many of us were trying to get breakfast, only to find it wasn't ready, which is why I gave the hotel only a very good rating. The workers really tried hard and were very gracious in not being quite ready. Unfortunately what is posted should be the standard and it wasn't!
It looked so nice in the pictures. The full breakfast let me justify the extra cost. But, the full breakfast was the lowest quality of any hotel I stayed at. Little selection. Same thing every day (always sausage never bacon). The room was the smallest I've stayed in for years. Our refrigerator had the freezer compartment broken. You either had to set the whole thing to be a fridge or freezer. Floors made socks black in minutes.
Hot tub broken, could not manage to get any one to look at it until the next day? Rooms also don't have enough hot water, better get up reeaal early if you want a hot shower. The breakfast lady was nice, cooking pancakes, but you can get pancakes any where. Mattresses old like sleeping on an old pet bed.
Firstly, I'm surprised again by the rates approaching $200/night. Secondly, the front desk staff were most unfriendly unless they were just waving at you as you walked in. The friendliest people were the room cleaners and the older guy who was keeping the dining area tidy. He chatted with us, thanked us for coming in, and kept the place clean. The room was nice. But there was only one upholstered chair to sit on. It's hard to sit in bed to read or watch TV all the time. My biggest peeve was breakfast. We wanted to get out early to hike before it got too warm. I asked when breakfast was ready and was told 6:30 am. We were there in the dining room until 6:50 and there was still no hot food out. The girl working there couldn't find any butter for toast so we had a yogurt and coffee and left. The second morning we arrived at 8 and the eggs, gravy, and pastries were gone. They weren't refilled by the time we finished our yogurts, again. Finally, there IS an elevator altho no one on the check in desk bothered to mention it. We were pointed to the stairs and didn't find the elevator (for the suitcases) until we saw another guest with a rolling luggage cart and asked her. Comfortable rooms, good location, but not the best place we stayed this week.
I misplaced my cell phone but knew it was somewhere on-site due to findmyiphone app. Stephanie and Ariel at the front desk were extremely helpful. Doug, who apparently, is the front desk manager was as cold, condescending and unhelpful as anyone I've ever encountered at a front desk. I can't understand how one establishment can have such a disparity in it's employees. I did find the phone the next day with absolutely no thanks to Doug. Very nasty person.
The motel is not the fanciest place ever, but we don't go on vaction to sit in the hotel. The staff is so friendly! I have love every staff at every Best western I've stayed at. They really make it the best experience! The breakfast was really good and the location is the best for walking around to shops and restaurants
The hotel location is fabulous. Rooms are clean, nice pool. We stayed here 2 nights when visiting Arches national park. Breakfast comes with the room. The breakfast is ok. It is not the best. No fresh fruit. Limited selections. I would stay there again.
No complaints. The room was clean, front desk personnel extremely polite, but the choices at breakfast made the stay memorable. No greasy bacon, no luke warm eggs; had I not served myself I would have sworn my meal was cooked to order.
The motel is too loud and the pool, hot tub and beds are sub par. The location is as good as any other hotel in Moab but after not sleeping well and being discouraged to use the pool and gym, next time we will stay at another hotel.
I am going to give you the GOOD first! This hotel is right on Main. Great location AND they have an employee named KIM who is the saving grace to this property and should get a raise! Freaking AMAZING customer service and needs to be commended! Went Above and Beyond the call of duty!! Ok the BAD.....here we go...This hotel is NOT a PLUS by any means!! I stayed at a Regular Best Western Coral Hills in St George and that place was spectacular!! This hotel was run down and it felt like a Motel 6 but I was paying for Plus price!! The breakfast was a joke...there is absolutely NO room...unless you want to walk all the way over to the other part of the hotel to sit....NOT fun when you have kids! They don't offer gluten free/healthy products. Just apples...no other fruit. The yogurt is fake "low fat" with a ton of junk in it. No granola..the orange juice taste like a chemical...there probably isn't any orange in it. Now, if that doesn't bother you then stay here you'll like it! Lol There were 6 long hairs on my pillow when I checked in. The grounds were dirty! The front needs a gardener badly! The bathroom is VERY small! The lighting is bad! Floors are wood! Now that sounds good doesn't it but it's not cuz you can hear everything people are doing upstairs!! They need to put down some runners!! Under the beds were dirty with left over wrappers The ice is at the VERY far corner if you are in the front! The sodas are warm. This hotel is not a plus in my book....I paid $215 a night! Left a day early! Some people don't care about many things when they stay at a place but I travel a lot and when I pay over $200 a night I expect it to be great! ;)
Hotel is centrally located to visit Moab area, however, the reception and departure were unfriendly and unwelcoming; felt a sense of prejudice. Informed about our billing - very rushed and mumbled. We are an elderly couple and were assigned to the farthest room of the whole two story building. There is only one elevator and it is near the lobby. We had to pull the luggage cart all the way to the end of the two story building to reach our room. The room was dark and gloomy and initially the mini-refrigerator didn't work. Informed a housekeeping person and he promptly told maintenance and another refrigerator arrived soon. The floor was laminated; felt dusty and dirty. If anything, the staff (housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast server and cleaner) were very nice. But the management needs improvement!! Laundry facility had 2 washers and 2 dryers (one our of order)! Never returning.
The amount of noise from walking in our room and from the floor above was pretty annoying. To top it off my daughter was walking in the room and ended with two black feet from all the dust. Besides that everything worked good and was in decent shape. Bed was clean and room smelled good.
I enjoyed staying at this motel in Moab. The people were what made it an exceptional experience. Very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay a good one. My room was clean and comfortable even though I am not thrilled with the laminate floors. Made the room feel cold. I was there during Jeep Safari week and it was fun to watch all the tourists with their various activities. the motel was also in great proximity to downtown and my place of business.
Stayed here because we have good luck with Best Western. Jeep Safari in town so all hotels were double the price (in this case $200.) Was put on main floor. When we went to bed the people above us arrived shortly after. Every footstep they took was very loud and squeaky. Called front desk who called the people. Like they were supposed to stop walking around. They continued to walk for 2 hours then shower etc. Hotel offered us 15% off our room rate (whoopee) Stayed in a Hilton in Fort Collins next night for $98. all top notch and comfort plus. The Moab hotel was a pig with lipstick on it. Do not stay here, but do see Arches National Park
Hotel and staff were fine. Breakfast is good. Pool and hot tub not working was a real downer for our family. Overall experience was fine but they should have sent out an email about the pool and hot tub not working. We would have switched hotels. They also could have offered a discount for the inconvenience but that didn't happen.
We've come to Moab every year in the summer for a number of years to go mountain biking. This hotel is located right in the middle of the main drag. You can walk to Pasta Jay's restaurant, (The best restaurant in Moab) and dozens of shops. The main grocery store is a 2 min drive from the hotel, (if that) where there's a Starbucks located inside. And this is not one of those tiny tourest-town food stores, this is a full size city store. The staff was very friendly and the hotel room was clean and comfortable. There was a free breakfast consisting of, Toast, Cereal, Yogurt, fruit coffee and orange juice, and a nice seating area to have your breakfast. Maybe a waffle iron,... I can't remember. The room had a flat screen TV, a small fridge, and a coffee maker, thank you. :) We woke up to go out for breakfast and there were four 1200CC BMW Adventure Motorcycles right in front of our door. What a life. Oh, and they have a small pool for the kids.
We four people family stayed at this hotel during the spring break. We chose the location because of its proximity of two national parks. It was a good choice. The hotel was on Main Street where you can access many restaurants and grocery stores. Despite its convenience, it was quiet at night. The continental breakfast offered oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausages, milk, coffee, juice, bread, muffins, pancakes, fresh oranges, etc. What I like the most is that the room is big. It has a refrigerator, a desk, a dinning table and two queen size beds. The sink and tub/toilet were separated, which made our morning much easier. I recommend this hotel to family stay.
We have visited this hotel for the past 3 years after coming out of the backcountry and have always had a great stay. This time, the pool/hot tub was out of commission, deck had no furniture to sit and enjoy the view like normal and black hairs in the shower upon arrival. The breakfast also left MUCH to be desired. Typically breakfast is good, with hot food and pleasant staff. This year, no pancakes, out of milk, burnt sausage and overcooked eggs. The staff are typically very friendly, which was true this time with the exception of one, not so friendly breakfast server (younger man that should have had on a hair net). This hotel has always met/exceeded our expectations for the price/type of hotel it is as well as the location. We may be looking into different accommodations in the future.
The hotel is in the heart of downtown Moab, so is very convenient for walking around etc... Stayed just 1 night; Room was pretty basic, but was clean. Staying in Moab you don't spend much time in your room, so if you are looking for just a place to sleep this hotel works. Didn't have the breakfast, but checked out the breakfast area and it looked nice. Stayed on bottom floor; it was fine, but the hotel wasn't very busy so don't think anyone was above us.

Dear RickandDianeW, Thank you so much for your kind review!! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our facility. We hope you enjoyed our in-room Keurig coffee in the morning as you didn't have breakfast with us. You are correct, our downtown location is great in making it easy to walk around our small town, especially during busy traffic times when it is easier to walk to restaurants than driving. We do hope to see you the next time you are in the Moab area. Thanks, Rachelle Best Western PLUS Greenwell Inn
CLEAN. Beautiful laminate flooring, easy to maintain, so you know it's clean, and no unknown grossness hidden in dirty carpet. Big, beautiful king room, spacious, nice bathroom. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows.

Dear Jeffrey E, I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay here! We are so glad you like the improvements we made in the room. The flooring is an recent improvement we made to better serve our guest to combat sands that surrounds Moab. We hope to see you the next time you are in Moab. Thanks, Rachelle Best Western PLUS Greenwell Inn
This is a nice hotel, very clean and quiet. I was unhappy because when I called i was not told that the Hot tub would be out of service for our visit and when we arrived found out we could use the hot tub across the street at the hotel Moab (DIVE) it was gross to be kind, other than that it was a very nice experience.

Dear Troy P, I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay here! Our hot tub was closed on 2/28/2016 in preparation for resurfacing on 2/29/2016. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We hope to see you the next time you are in Moab. Thanks, Rachelle Best Western PLUS Greenwell Inn
A nice place to stay as you explore Canyonlands National Park or Arches National Park. A stylish inn with clean rooms and well kept main facility. The wonderful breakfast began our early day to hike in the Arches. The many food options fueled us up for morning. The staff was courteous and helpful. The only issue is the annex building holding the exercise room and hot tub. This building needs renovation; a run down look that striking compared to the main facility. Though, the hot tub was clean and very nice after a long day.

Kim, at the front desk when we checked, is very friendly and helpful and when she learned we were headed to Denver the next day alerted us to a serious rock slide near Glenwood Springs, CO, and followed up this morning telling us traffic had been reduced to one lane in that area. This is a very elegant motel in every respect -- the room decor, the lobby and breakfast area, and the exterior to name a few. This motel is located in downtown Moab which provides easy access to downtown restaurants and shops most within walking distance. However, the AARP winter rate of $76 changes to triple that amount in mid March. The breakfast area and food choices are amazing from eggs and hash browns, to made to order pancakes, oatmeal made fresh daily with walnuts, raisins and brown sugar, to cereal and yogurt. Their coffee is very good in the breakfast area (100% Arabica) but the Keurig machine in the room, while unique, is provided with very sub par off brand coffee -- refill your cup or travel mug from the lobby. The ice machine is in a separate building which houses the pool. An excellent choice for winter month travelers.

Dear Denny S, I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay here and that Kim was accommodating! I will make sure to share your feedback with her. We strive to provide a more personalized breakfast experience rather than the norm so very happy that you noticed the difference. Maybe next time, when the weather is little warmer, tryout our outdoor patio. Nothing like eating breakfast with the beautiful scenery of Moab as the backdrop! Thanks, Rachelle Best Western PLUS Greenwell Inn
The hot tub was not working, it had been closed all winter. They need to post that on the website. We booked this motel on the assumption that the hot tub was in working order. The person at the front desk was not very polite about it. I will not book a future reservation at this motel.

Dear S688YDlarryb, I do apologize for the miscommunication. Our hot tub is open year round, however, it was closed on 2/28/2016 in preparation for resurfacing on 2/29/2016. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Sincerely, Rachelle Best Western PLUS Greenwell Inn
The rooms appeared pretty nice, updated and clean. Its the little things that threw me off from the tub being wet when we first checked in, to the room smelling a little musty. You could hear every step the people above you took though. Say 2:30am hearing someone entering their room above and stomping around for the next 30 minutes.... WHERES THE FREE EAR PLUGS? The price was a bit high considering it appears I could have went literally across the street and down two blocks to another Best Western that looks newer... The WIFI is AMAZING here though. I have never stayed at a hotel and had great WIFI. This one though was amazing and it was fast! I also loved their breakfast in the morning, it was a great set up and very tasty as well! So considering if you aren't too picking then this place will work for you... Will I be returning? Probably not unless I had no where else to stay...

Dear Carlos V, I am glad you enjoyed the WiFi and the breakfast. Thank you for letting us know your issue's so we can make improvements where necessary. I do hope you will come back again and have breakfast at our outdoor patio when its warmer. It is a great place to eat breakfast and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Moab as a backdrop! Sincerely, Rachelle Best Western PLUS Greenwell Inn
This hotel was an excellent value for our money. When I booked the room I asked for a top floor away from traffic or any noise and that's what we got. The room was very quite, clean, and comfortable including the bed and the pillows. The flat screen TV was nice as well as the larger refrigerator. The pool was still closed because of it being off season but the hot tub was open which we used every night which was nice after hiking all day. I must say that we really enjoyed the breakfast that was offered each morning. There was a gentleman that greeted the guests as you entered the breakfast area an would cook hot cakes or oatmeal if you would like or you could serve yourself to the eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, dry cereals, yogurt, fruits and more. The eating area was very clean and that's because there was a gentleman constantly cleaning and restocking the eating area. Don't see that very often! Besides this hotel being an excellent bargain it is centrally located in town and is close to restaurants, shopping and to Arches National Park as well as the Colorado River. Book It Dano!

We love staying at the Greenwell Inn in Moab. It is a nice hotel and the price is affordable. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good. The hotel is in the center of town which makes it nice to walk to the stores and other establishments. One year the hotel was being remodeled and we stayed in a different one. The stay at the other hotel was not as nice and the staff wasn't as friendly. We try and go to Moab every February and prefer the Greenwell Inn.
This Best Western seems to be an older property, but has received extensive updating and remodelling inside and out. First appearances show a new motel style property located mid Moab, and with how everything worked and functioned, it might as well be. Notable points to the rooms included hard wood type flooring, a large flat screen TV, Keurig, and plenty of room in the king rooms. Ample parking, and a nice looking outdoor pool. Located near mid main street, it is a perfect location to everything in Moab. Nearby is a grocery store, gas stations, Moab information center, outfitters, and a couple of pubs. Plenty of quality restaurants within walking distance, including an extensive menu and casual dining in Zaks across the street. Also an excellent breakfast, second best I have seen in my over 100 hotel stays over the past few years. Hot items at the time were pancakes and oatmeal with toppings. Eggs, sausage, potatoes buscuits/gravy. Plenty of seating and courteous service.
We visit Moab few times a year but this time was very special to us from the time we arrived at the hotel Mariah helped us with our check in with a friendly smile and give us a suggestions that was very helpful when we come back again we definitely going to stay here because of the friendliest staff like her

Location location location. Great staff and had the greatest time. Easy to get to. Great breakfast presentation and such. It was to cold to use the hot tub but will next time. The power was out when we showed up to the hotel but the staff knew what she was doing and it was still an easy check in.

You are correct, our downtown location is great in making it easy to walk around our small town, especially during busy traffic times when it is easier to walk to restaurants than driving. Moab did have a power issue one day, due to the strong winds in the Salt Lake area. I am glad Kim handled it well. We hope to see you the next time you are in the Moab area. Rooms are clean . great location walking distance to most shops . friendly staff breakfast was ok food was hot and good.i would stay here anytime.price we paid was excellent.wish they had a indoor pool or had a heated pool kids really wanted to swim.

After driving for 12 hours and then hiking in Arches National Park I was ready to head back to my room and relax. Immediately when I walked in the room it smelled like fake scent deodorizer and I could hear some loud creaking? You can hear every single foot step and it sounded like a heard of buffalos running around upstairs. Don't get a room on the first floor!!! So then I go to turn on the TV and the remote doesn't work. I call the front desk as she thinks its the batteries. She is "too busy" to help me so I get some of my own batteries but it still doesn't work. I call back and she can't help me, wants me to go to the office which is at the other end of the property and offers no other help because she is too busy. I will never stay at this property again.

Dear EthanPhotographer , I do apologize that we did not deliver superior customer service, as this is what we strive for. At times, our desk staff does get extremely busy, however, it is not an excuse for her response. I will make sure to talk to all desk staff about this. The deodorizer you sensed may have been our floor cleaning solution scent. We have not had any complaints so far, but will take note of your observation. Again, I sincerely apologize you were not satisfied with your stay with us. We do hope you give us a second chance. Sincerely, Rachelle Best Western PLUS Greenwell Inn
I's moving from Albuquerque to Bend, Or. We arrived late at night and had my bikes in the back of my truck. Weather was super cold and Nathaniel was a great help in letting us park my truck up front and he kept an eye on em for me. Was very helpful in a stressful sitch. Jus wanted to say thanks!!
Good location in downtown Moab. The room had fake hardwood floors that were cold. The breakfast was great. Special order eggs were unusual. Again, the reception is poor when they find out I used a discount website. And you are not allowed to register for frequent nights when it is billed by Travelocity, Expedia, etc.
Nice staff, other than the breakfast cook was a little overwhelmed and seemed grumpy. Nice rooms, modern and wonderful. We checked in at 11 am. Our room was still not ready by 4 pm. Miscommunication with front desk and housekeeping. Great location.
I booked first night through hotels.com but we decided to stay in area, so I booked with front desk for second night when we check in. I thought I was paying same rate because rate I initialed said total. When my visa charge was higher. They said tax wasn't included. Even though it didn't show clearly anywhere I signed. I told front desk this. They were pretty rude about my questions. As were they during our stay. Just seemed irritated and put out by us. Not great costumer service. The breakfast was half empty. Or cold. My teenage son wouldn't go back second day. The man clearing tables was very nice. Helpful and did great job. The location was right in town, which we enjoyed. Walked to resturants. Felt Safe. Clean. Room had a fridge which was nice to have. Room was fine. Older semi updated. But comfortable. We love the moab area. Hiking and site seeing. I'm on the line if I would return to this hotel. It was our first stay in Moab, there are other choices I might try first. Mostly due to poor front desk and breakfast. It was a busy long weekend. Maybe that was part of issues??
As we plotted our course through the National parks of So. Utah, our first night was to be in Moab. There for two nights we were pleased with the value we received. The staff was courteous and professional in all assistance offered while the breakfast gave enough variety that no one should go away hungry. The rooms looked a little tired, but they had crews working on that for the upcoming season and should have all the bells and whistles ready soon.
Nice outdoor pool, it was really fun to unwind in the hot tub under the stars. Easy to walk anywhere in town, quick drive to Arches. Breakfast was plentiful, staff was pleasant. I was concerned about noise when I saw how crowded the parking lot was, but it was never an issue.
Although all best westerns offer pretty much the same breakfast...this was a little below par. The oatmeal was quite thin and we over heard some of the other items were re heated from the day before. We were a little disappointed
We stayed here for one night. Room rate was fine, we were surprised at how nice the room was for the price. It was clean, had nice amenities (although no tea in the room only coffee). No complaints about the room at all. However check in staff were not friendly or particularly helpful, she did her job but that was it. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and we're pushed one in particular when we asked about another were told "its fine" we later found out that it was pushed as they offered commission for refferal. I realise this is common practice however it was dissapointing as we wanted a genuine opinion.
Warm and cheerful staff, clean room, hot tub, excellent breakfast - wonderful stay. With snow and ice outside, the fireplace in the lobby was inviting. How perfect to sit and read and drink coffee, which is available on the side table 24 hours. The location is central to the town and a short driving distance from Arches National Park.
The cleanliness of the room was good and the Keurig coffee was a nice surprise. Breakfast selection was varied, but the quality of the hot food was lacking (gravy was pasty; biscuits hard; eggs overdone). The pillows & sheets were not the most comfortable but the mattress was good quality. The room heat was unreliable at best.
Would have been nice to know that this property was under construction at time of stay. Too much noise and most of parking lot blocked off. We arrived early and got to check in - GREAT! We were put in Room 129, in the very back corner of the main building where it intersects with the side building. No problem right. Well, not exactly. The room and outside area looked like it had just had some construction / wood work done in the room and the maids HAD NOT gotten back to clean it properly - floor dirty, etc. Wood / sawdust left right out in common walkway - same one to vending and ice machines for nearly 2 days. Room overall was nicely done and seemed refreshed with the updates. Tile work and bath / shower surround - UGLY! Whomever did the caulk job between the tile (nice) and the bathtub / shower unit was either in a very big hurry or inexperienced, as it was terrible and super thick in many places. Very small bathroom too, as little space between toilet, shower, and entry door. More detail needed in bathroom to match overall quality of room work / decor. AC / Heater - looked new, but either it was too hot or too cold and we left the temp setting on low fan and thermostat at between 64-67 degrees. Maybe just needs adjustment / calibration? Old refrigerator left in room that made a ton of noise inside the cabinet built to hold it. Finally uplugged unit to quieten it down. Desk lamp did not work - yes it was plugged in until we unplugged it as useless and needed plugs for computer / cell phones since plugs on lamp did not work either. HOT WATER GREAT! 2 shower heads in bath - great! Once they get the construction done and clean-up - this property SHOULD be great. The lobby / eating area already done and is truly nice. While we did visit after Christmas and this is usually Moab's SLOW TIME for doing all those construction / cleaning / repairing things - the NEW MOAB does not seem to accommodate that so soon - maybe February / March is their new break time; but late December / January saw Moab feeling the effects of the new Utah / Moab Ad Campaign and lots of visitors still coming this late into the season. This hotel and others seemed pretty full and probably unexpected.
We stayed her on December 26, 2015, and it was a very nice stay. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. They are doing a bit of remodeling, but not a problem. Breakfast is always good here. We have stayed here before and we will stay here again.
We' originally planned to stay three nights for hiking and mountain biking in Moab, but ended up adding three more nights waiting for better weather. The check-in was fast and easy and the room was comfortable. However, it was not very clean. In fact, we had to ask the front desk to make sure the floors were cleaned (and the TV tuned). This was request was received by the man at the front desk with an "ok" - no apology or anything else to acknowledge these flaws. The floor was rudimentary cleaned but the room was never spotless in any respect. When we decided to stay longer (despite attitude and a less clean room), it turned out to be problematic... The night before, the woman at the front desk set up a new reservation so that we could stay in the same room. But the next day another woman at the desk told us there was no reservation (even though I showed her the email confirmation I got the previous night). Instead she said she could make a new reservation but that we might end up having to pay also for the reservation she claimed didn't exist... After a longer argument she "managed" to fix the reservation. Absolutely no apology here either. Apart from this, the hotel is conveniently located. The breakfast is good with a number of choices of hot items. The man in the breakfast kitchen was very nice and that made our stay much nicer than it otherwise would have been. Normally I'm not very sensitive to lack of customer service if everything runs smoothly, but here this turned out to be somewhat more problematic than I find acceptable. If we would't have had to argue for our reservation, or if we'd at least received an apology for their mistake, we would have given the hotel a "3" instead of a "2" - since it still provieds value for the money.
Hotel is under renovation, replacing carpet with hardwood floors. Outside entrances might make it easy for storing bikes, but makes us feel less secure. Upstairs room activity was easy to hear (squeaking floor). Amenities were fine, comfortable bed, acceptable breakfast and wonderful shower.
I am at the hotel now so that I can share my first impressions of the place. So this review may change in the next 24 hours. So far it has been... interesting...? My first impression of the place is that the front desk was extraordinarily unwelcoming. Staff hasn't been very friendly so far. We arrived in town early so we swung by the hotel to ask if there was any chance we could check in early. If not, then that is fine and we will go see the arches national park and come back later at check-in time. The guy, grunted something and said sure. I tried to engage in some small talk to get him to loosen up and be a bit friendlier... but it was to no avail. For example I saw on the weather report on the front desk that snow was predicted that night, so I asked about the possibility of it snowing tonight, he kinda looked at me with a scoff and said, "not according to the latest weather report." Or I asked, "Where should we park?" he looked at me like I was an idiot and flayed his hands to the side and said, "In the parking lot." I replied, "But when we drove up about 5 minutes ago, it was taped off with construction tape." Then he replied, "then park on the other side of the parking lot." I didn't realize there was a path around the tape, but that doesn't excuse the behavior of the front desk. But I don't like to grade a hotel on my experience with 1 person, but it doesn't help either (so that knocked it down by 1 point). The rooms are large and well kept... kind of. The door looks broken on the bottom and they put scotch tape on it to hold it together. The fan has an unbelievably loud squeak noise. And they are doing remodeling work, which would have been nice to know prior to making our reservation (that alone knocked it down a point). Shower was amazing with a double headed shower head (You could even have the massage setting on one head), however, the drainage was so poor that in a matter of minutes I was ankle deep in water. The shower temperature adjuster was exceptionally sensitive that I literally had to slightly tap it in order to get a comfortable temperature. The pressure of the water was good though (a wash on points from the shower). Wi-fi seems to work very smoothly. Beds seems very comfortable, but I'll be able to tell better later tonight when I try to sleep. Lighting is plentiful. I don't watch TV, but the TV screen is large and flat. Looks like it is good quality.
Clean and comfortable. Great breakfast! The location was perfect and we enjoyed the different restaurants that were available close by. This was my first trip to Moab and next time we are in the area this is the place we will stay!
After reading some reviews about the guy who served breakfast, the front desk person, the carpets and noisy rooms, I was hesitant to book a room at BW. However, i am quiet happy to report that the cook was a very friendly person, the carpets are being replaced with hardwood floors and come on, for the money it was a great deal. There is just too much furninture in the room-that's my only complaint.
We enjoyed our stay here immensely. We had been on a road trip from Vegas to Utah and needed a place to stay. It had started to snow and we were ready to come in from the cold and relax until the next day when we would be off to explore Arches National Park. Best Western welcomed us with a hot cup of coffee while we registered, and the lobby was toasty warm. Our room was really clean with plenty of room for our bags. My husband caught up on some work, while I read books under the slightly broken lamp (which would be my only criticism). Overall, this is a great place to stop on a trip.
This is an older building that is in good shape. They have a nice breakfast buffet area, with a staff member to make fresh pancakes, and several window tables. The lobby was very nice and you can eat breakfast in there too. The location is right in downtown Moab so you can walk to many restaurants, shops etc. Our family was comfortable here, with easy access to the spectacular scenery of Arches National Park and Dead Horse Point.
The motel style property has had a nicely done remodel of the rooms and facilities. The property is located perfectly in the middle of Moab, and within walking distance to everything. I was not impressed with their breakfast bar staff. We got there just a few minutes before it closed for the morning and we were treated less than nice. The attendant needs to wear a hairnet. His long hair was all over his face, not pleasant when having a meal.
Great location, free breakfast and internet, beautiful lobby and comfortable beds. I highly recommend this hotel. Book early as hotels book fast in Moab, now don't be greedy trip advisor i don't want to post a post of 200 words!!
easy place to stay with no frills. breakfast is average. rooms clean. our front desk clerk was dressed in a t-shirt and was not very friendly, however the housekeeping staff was excellent. great location and great price.
great place to stay, right on main street and very close to Arches national park. Very good services and rooms were great and in very good conditions. Breakfast was continental and great. Reception desk has coffee as well as in the bedrooms,
We stayed over Thanksgiving holiday. Motel style (room door open to outdoors) nicely updated. Centrally located to Moab downtown shops and restaurants is a "+". Free breakfast was "-" Male attendant needs to wear a hairnet while preparing food and shouldn't eat while at the counter! Room was clean "+" . "-" bed was not neatly made up after first day, see photo of sloppy pillows. I would stay again but hope management reads these comments. I asked for a customer feedback card and was told they didn't have them.
stays at Best Western hotels the best in the our trip.we like all the staf member good custember serves i will be to recommend this hotel to someone else, if they were to require a hotel in this area in the future?
The room we stayed in had the worlds noisiest heater. It's a motel in concept with rooms being entered from outside . The main lobby is very nice and the staff is excellent ! Good value . I think we were just unlucky in getting a nearly broken and very loud heater .
This hotel is located right on Main Street in the heart of Moab. You're walking distance from the restaurants, bars and shops that line the main drag: the Moab Diner is one block south; Eddie McStiff's is one block north. It's a fairly new hotel -- clean and well maintained. Plus it offers a very good breakfast included in the price -- eggs, pancakes, meat, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice. If you want to be close to the action, this is a good spot. Rates vary. I was there during the Moab Half-marathon and a Utah teachers' meeting and I paid twice as much for my room as I did a few weeks later when the crowds weren't there.
About a month ago I was on a very special trip with just me and my daughter before she was leaving on her 18 month church mission. She wanted to go to Moab, UT and Arches National Park one more time before she left. I had gotten a really good deal for the Best Western Greenwell Inn online but when I went to check out, the sweet young lady that helped me gave me the new off-season rate that had gone into effect that day that was an even better deal than the special internet offer I'd booked. I know she didn't have to do that so thank you so much! Very nice place!
We did a 4-night stay at this hotel while visiting the local national parks. The price was very reasonable & overall we were content with our stay. Despite the bargain, we would not stay here a second time. Some of the negatives that ruined it for us was the cleanliness of the rooms. We found shoes & children's toys left from prior guest under the bed. The vent on the heater was dusty & the bath towels were worn looking. Also, the carpet had areas that were sticky. Yuck! The bathrooms are also very small. We couldn't get out of the bathroom without having to back into the toilet. The last two days of our stay, we went to get ice from the machine & it was empty. Called the front desk and was told the machines were shut off for the winter & to use the pool house ice machine. So we did & that too was also out of ice. The front desk had a wide variety of characters working during our stay. most were welcoming. One gal on the night shift kinda creeped us out though. A big plus was the location of the hotel- you can walk to restaurants, cafes & stores. Its also a very short drive to Arches National Park & Canyon land. The free breakfast also comes in handy if you are in a hurry & need something fast & hot to eat. There was always plenty of free parking & we appreciated having hot beverages available 24 hours in the lobby.
Wonderful hotel! Fair price, immaculately clean with a friendly, attentive staff. The breakfast was good, much more than the standard for a hotel free breakfast. The staff that runs breakfast are kind and helpful. The hot tub felt fantastic after hiking Delicate Arch. It was a pleasant surprise to have a hot tub still open and ready in mid-November.
This hotel is kept very clean and the staff is friendly. The bed and pillows very comfortable. The breakfast included is adequate, but there are some great breakfast spots in Moab, so I only went to the hotel breakfast once or twice.
We were highly impressed the spacious "suite type", comfortable bed, high quality overall of the room we got. Very Quiet! Nice breakfast, excellent people. I find it a good value ! highly recommend it!
Doug at the Moab Best Western was VERY rude, argumentative and unprofessional. I am a frequent guest of Best Western hotels and have NEVER been treated so poorly. I was even agreeing with him yet he continued to berate me, and talk down to me. My family has stayed at this hotel before and I will NEVER stay here again or recommend anyone else to stay here. It is overpriced, old, worn, and is nothing special. Don't waste your money. Spend a little more and go to the other Best Western in town.
I stayed here the night before the Moab marathon - staff was friendly and accommodating. The gentleman at breakfast was very welcoming. If you're looking for a Best Western experience you will get it here, pretty average experience.
Staff was accommodating with an early checkin in of 30 min. We were able to use the guest laundry facility while waiting for our room to be ready. The laundry area by the pool needs some attention. The doors do not lock, machines different prices, dryer out of order. Pool deck shows signs of wear. Hot tub water was cloudy until jets turned on. Did not use either pool or hot tub. Cob webs on furniture. Room was ok. I probably would stay again. Although many other choices available
Loved our stay at this property. The location is extremely convenient...right on Main Street, in the middle of lots of restaurants and shops. Very walkable (and a short drive to Arches)! The rooms were nice and clean, the price was right, there is an outdoor pool / hot tub, and there is a complimentary hot breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
I was in Moab with my running buddy to do The Other Half half marathon from 10/16- 10/20. We stayed in room #209. My friend and I do NOT live together, so the only thing we had in common was the stay in room #209. We checked out Tuesday morning and the crazy itchy bites started appearing Friday morning, 10/23. Despite the non-plussed manager's reply (Rochelle asked, "Why didn't you immediately report the bites?") bed bug bites can start popping up anywhere from one day to two weeks after you've been bitten. More and more bites kept arising- I currently have 23 (ankles, arms, hands) and my friend has waaayyy more (arms, hands, back, chest). I called this morning (11/2) and quite frankly, the management approach couldn't have been more lackadaisical. Housekeeping is going to check the room- ha!!!! Bed bugs are crafty travelers and can easily move between rooms to find their next meal. NEVER STAY HERE.
This was a great place to stay to visit Arches Nat'l Park and the surrounding areas. The room me my high expectations. The Hotel is within walking and easy driving distance to local restaurants. They also have a very good breakfast.
The room was musty and the internet did not work, The entrance to the room was an exterior passageway. I would not have stayed at the hotel if I had known that the room had an exterior door, like an old Holiday Inn,
We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights. I needed to revise my trip bookings, and Kim was such a great and efficient help to me, personally making calls to my other booked hotel to make the appropriate changes. Thank you so very much, Kim!
Stayed here 2 nights while in Moab for a half marathon. Would definitely recommend if looking for lodging in the area. Front desk persons were very pleasant and accomodated us with a late check out on Sunday after our race. Room was adequate and clean, no frills, had a refrigerator that was good size.....TV had plenty of channels and the Wifi was free and adequate. Had no noise issues with traffic and we were close to the street in the front of the property. Property is located right in the heart of Moab and an easy walk to restaurants and shops and very close to Arches NP. Breakfast area was spacious and clean and had a good offering of items. Hotel is nothing fancy but that really isn't Moab anyway, and i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling and staying in the area.
So enjoyed our stay in this area and loved the National Parks there. Our hotel was good and we were happy to get a room there as it was a very busy time. Would stay at this property again when in the area. The staff on site were helpful and friendly making the choice a good one.
The room was very clean. Staff was courteous staff and truly enjoyed the great hot breakfast to start the day out just right. . Loved our stay - will definitely stay there next trip to Moab. Did lots of sight seeing in Moab so didn't use the exercise room but did check in out for the variety of equipment. The pool and hot tub were great - rained a bit too much to use !
Appears to be an older motel that has undergone a make-over. Window on walkway so couldn't leave drapes open making room rather dark. Overall lighting was not as bright as I would like (my problem with most lodging). When my husband booked the room he asked about an elevator which they do have stating that I had problems with stairs. While we were on the first floor there is a step into the room which was not a problem for me but did require my husband having to lift my scooter in/out of the room. It would have been nice if we had been told of the step.
We checked into our room and the first impression was "nice" until we heard the traffic outside. We thought the window was open, it was not! My husband asked to change rooms and was told it was the last room. "Shelly" then told my husband that others had been fine with that room in the past and no one else had complained about the noise. I was astounded with that remark. She was unprofessional and obviously had no training. She would not even refund us for the room that we had walked into and exited within literally 3 minutes. It was right on the main street, front room above the sidewalk, we listened to the big rigs all night long. It was terrible,we would not recommend this place to anyone! And for the record, I am not one to write anything negative. Oh and the were a bunch of dead bugs and flys in the window sill, gross!
Stayed here for 3 nights in October. Room was adequate and beds very comfy. Bathroom a little on the small side. Breakfast was included but wasn't the best, especially on the first morning as there was no milk available and staff were a bit rude and not bothered. Skipped breakfast on the second morning as made an early start to watch sunrise so bought some bagels etc from local supermarket. Breakfast was better on third morning but I certainly wouldn't pay extra for it. Pool is ok and there's a hot tub. Gym is incredibly dated with only a few pieces of equipment.
The hotel has a lot of “old” features to deal with, not the least of which was access to outlets. The outlet by the bed was very hard to reach, and there just weren't enough to handle today's technology requirements (charging batteries for cameras, cell phones, and tablet). The carpet was quite dirty – soiled and stained – perhaps hallmarks from the outdoor activities it's guests enjoy. Its downtown Moab location made it convenient enough to a variety of restaurants. The in-house breakfast buffet had a large selection –European style with lunch meats and fruits but also American style with attendant-prepared oatmeal and pancakes. Could even eat outside on the porch area which we did. Would probably try the other Best Western next time we visit.
Super comfortable beds and pillows, the staff was friendly. The internet was slow though, and the TV was a little unclear. The bathroom is a little small, but we really loved it! The water is hot, the room is lush, its a great price at a great location.
I really enjoyed everything about this place. The furniture, mattress, décor, breakfast and service was all really satisfactory. Location was excellent, right at the perfect spot to get all the downtown restaurants.
Excellent location. Good staff. Ice machine needed fixing, but desk lady offered to fill our ice bucket when we reported it. Would recommend it to others stopping in this area. Thought price was a bit high.
We stayed 2 nights during UEA, a nice and clean place to stay. A great pool and great breakfast the service is wonderful. Lots of smiling faces here. Our favorite is the gentleman that cleans up the tables after breakfast in the morning, he's our favorite person to see.
This wasn't a nice hotel, just an average motel. However, it is the nicest you can find in Moab. We had a room on the first floor that was blocked by the new construction of the lobby. However, we were only staying for the night, so the dark room didn't really bother us. It would have been nice if there was a safe in the room. The room was about $250- REALLY EXPENSIVE for a MOTEL. However, breakfast was included. When we went to have breakfast at 8am we were told they were out of forks, napkins, oatmeal, eggs, juice, and milk. That was very dissapointing. The motel is close to Canyonlands, Arches, and Dead Horse Point, so it is convenient.
Most of the hotel was very nice. Tile in bathrooms and nice bed. The carpet was lumpy and I think the musty smell in the room came from it. We mentioned it as we checked out and the clerk said they were replacing the carpets. I wish I had known that so I could ask for one with new flooring. More expensive than all other areas of Utah, but typical with Moab prices. You have to have the staff serve some of your breakfast for you which can slow you down in the am. Walking distance to restaurants and close to Arches NP.
We had a room on the first floor. The room was clean and neat with two good sized double beds. The room is a little dark, but that didn't bother us so much. My only other remark would be is that the rooms can be quite noisy. We heard sounds from the adjoining room and when the people in the room above us start walking, the floor boards creaked very loud. It woke us up in the middle of the night. Free breakfast was good enough. Overall, I would stay here again, but may request a room on the second floor instead.
Good experience as always. Stay comfortable. Breakfast not bad. But the place is a little bit crowded. The price is Ok. I will choose to stay best western again. The room is Ok. But a little bit old shower.
We stayed 2 nights. The first in room 102 and the second in 101. The first room was dark with a wall opposite its ground floor window. The 2nd room was even darker as it was right up in a corner so neither rooms enjoyed any day light at all. We couldn't see any sky! Room 101 had a bathroom with disabled rails fitted and a bath with integral shower over it so I couldn't see how a disabled person could climb into the bath for a shower. It was equipped with 2 queen beds so strategically placed that one side of each bed was so close to the wall, it was difficult for a mobile person to squeeze between wall and bed - especially with a huge air conditioning unit as an obstruction. Moab is a pretty resort town but our stay here was VERY expensive and a below average breakfast provided. The desk staff were eating and there was a smell of cigarettes. Their attitude was one of indifference. There were no towels in the pool area with only a lavatory in which to change. Persistent and noisy heavy footsteps were heard above both rooms indicating poor insulation.
We always stay at the Greenwell when visiting Moab. This time a surprise awaited us. The owners had remodeled in between our visits and had added a very nice breakfast area. How they managed to do this within the same real estate that existed is beyond me. They did a splendid job.
Nice, well kept hotel near Arches National Park. Room was clean and comfortable. Services minimal. However, the staff were very helpful in recommending places to eat. There are two Best Western Hotels in Moab and we managed to go to the wrong one at first. However, they are used to this and directed us to the correct one. All in all, a pleasant place to stay.
Have stayed here 3 different times and had great experiences each time. Rooms are large, common areas are comfortable, cookies hot and fresh each afternoon. Staff was very helpful. They even stored or luggage while were were rafting for 4 days! Very convenient to use. Rates are higher in summer when Moab is in "season" Plan ahead!
This Best Western is centrally located on Main Street, Moab. Walking distance to everything we needed, food, drinks, shopping, etc. and a short drive to Arches National Park and other amazing sights. A lovely pool and lobby with breakfast included. Stephanie greeted us each morning with a big smile and willingness to help in any way she could. The lovely gentleman who wipes down the tables was johnny on the spot and smiled while working. What a keeper, we enjoyed our stay here.
High price for low quality place so just drive to another city so you can get better value for your money. The Arches park was great place to go and see well worth your time and money. Start early in day then will have time to drive to Fruta Colo and get a nice place to stay at half the price as in Moab Utah. When in Fruta go see Colorado National Monument park it is great place to see..
