Best Western Horizon Inn

As a frequent traveler, I try to give the hotels I stay at some leniency. However, my experience here was far from satisfactory and I advise against going here. The location was very sketchy, sharing a parking lot with a Black Bear Diner. The first thing I noticed as I pulled in was the lack of cars and a singular baby stroller in the lot. I had to double-check that I wasn't in a horror movie. Despite my initial horror, I was desperate for a hotel and decided to stay anyway - Not a good idea. This Best Western lacked the typical hotel ambiance and the room I was assigned showed its age with outdated furnishing. Unfortunately, when I uncovered my sheets to rest, I was met with a horrifying sight - A TISSUE AND SUSPICIOUS STAIN. Shaken, I called the front desk where the staff there were apologetic and promptly provided me with another room and a late checkout, for which I was grateful. The second issue was light coming through the door, which was distracting but at least the bed was clean, even if it was uncomfortable. Before leaving, I visited the breakfast bar, looking forward to a continental breakfast. The atmosphere was pleasant and laid back, but I couldn't help but notice that the tongs were unsanitary, which was off-putting. The blueberry muffin was enjoyable, but the cereal was tasteless and reminiscent of cardboard, the coffee was bland, and I couldn't even finish the bacon. My peace was interrupted when a housekeeper knocked on my door, asking about my departure time. I explained my late checkout and she left. Slightly irked, I returned to eating my mid-tier breakfast when I heard an ear-grating knock a couple of years later. Annoyed, I answered again, only to be berated by the man who claimed "late checkouts weren't a thing" Eventually he left when I assured him that I was almost finished packing. This situation was not only rude but also greatly inconvenienced me, as my family had to return from the hospital to make sure we could pack up on time. Additionally, changing room keys daily was very inconvenient. Despite the courteous and understanding attitude of the front desk, the rest of my stay was a complete nightmare, due to the behavior of the staff. From reading other reviews, it appears that dirty and unkempt rooms are a common problem here. While I didn't expect Ritz Carlton quality, I did hope for a decent room, especially since I've always had pleasant experiences at other Best Western establishments. Sadly, this place was far from satisfactory, with a grimy and unpleasant atmosphere. Considering my overall experience, I would rate it a 3/10. However, the price I paid, even with a discount, was exorbitant at $100. There are much nicer hotels in the area at similar prices. As a result, I won't be returning, and I strongly discourage anyone planning to stay in Medford from choosing this establishment.

Nice staff. Room had what I needed. Breakfast options plenty. Dennys in parking lot is very convenient. The room I got when I brought my dog was not as clean or nice as when I came without her. But had a door to go right outside.

Happy to find a place to stay that's dog friendly. You pay a fee per day for your dog. We stayed here cause it was close to the surgery center where I had to be early morning. There is a mini frig & mini microwave in the room which was very convenient. Overall our was nice.

The room was very clean with a microwave and mini fridge. The bed was firm, but comfortable, although the pillows were a little small. It was exactly as pictured on the website. Free breakfast included sausage and eggs. The parking lot includes pull through spaces for oversized vehicles.

Just off the I-5, easy to find, very quiet, very clean, bed was quite comfortable. It's an L shaped motor court, so lots of room to park right in front of your door.Parking lot is large enough for vehicles with trailers. Felt very safe!

We were here one year ago and at that time the hotel/motel seemed ok, so we returned again this year as we came through Oregon. The hotel rooms have really become rundown. Cheap old timeTV set with a smeared screen that someone swiped with a damp rag; it was dusty anyway. Dollar Store has better Kleenex tissues and toilet paper than what's in room. It's 32 degrees this morning as I write this, and the bed has a thin ugly blanket under a very thin bedspread. The desk chair is permanently stuck in lowest position making it impossible to use desk unless putting a bed pillow on chair. The coffee maker in the room has no pot. Miserable place.

This facility is in a nice area, accessible to town and the many activities available in town, as well as the wonderful outdoors activities available nearby. It's clean, comfortable and safe, and very close to a good dining option.

Extremely noisy. Heavy equipment in parking lot that started up at 5 am and ran every 5 minutes. Quite hard to navigate into location. Temperature hard to control in room. Toilet was not working properly.

We've stayed at a variety of Best Western locations around the state of Oregon, but this was our first time at the Medford location. For perspective: the last time we were in Medford, we stayed at the Ramada (now converted into housing for fire victims). At that hotel, our room was infested with vermin and many of the fixtures were not actually attached to the walls. At the Best Western, we received a clean room with no debris left over from previous occupants, working fixtures, and a comfortable bed, at a price we were willing to pay. The check-in process was quick and painless (as it should be, unless the prospective guest decides to make things difficult for the desk attendant to no productive end). As a bonus, this location shares a parking lot (sort of) with a Black Bear Diner. There are also an Elmer's and a Shari's within shouting distance, but of the three Black Bear is probably the superior choice. An entirely satisfactory visit, and we will probably stay again the next time we are in Medford.

Easy access from interstate 5, close to a restaurant, clean room and breakfast area. Decent internet. Friendly staff. Breakfast= pretty good continental selection, staff on hand in case something runs out. Eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage the day I was there for those who prefer something more substantial. No waffle machine but has a new pancake grill, didn't try it but looked interesting.

Good location, nice people, good service, clean room. Close to Mt Hood and hiking trails. I would recommend this Best Western Inn to anyone traveling in the area. It is also close to the on and off ramps of the4 freeway.

We have stayed in various Best Westerns in the southern part of Oregon, but had never stayed at this one before. It was a bit of a twist to get to the hotel lobby, as you turn left to get on the correct street, pass the hotel, then have to do a U-Turn to get back to the driveway. Nothing difficult, but...pay attention! The hotel is an older style motor lodge, with door opening directly to the parking lot (if you on the 1st floor). The rooms have been nicely renovated, and there were plenty of channels on the television. The bathroom on our unit was small but workable, and the shower worked great. The bed and pillows were typical Best Western (meaning good), and we got a very nice night's sleep. The hotel is right next to a Black Bear diner, where we had our evening's meal. If you desire a treat afterwards, there is a Dairy Queen a short walk from the hotel. After enjoying a DQ, you likely need a short walk. The breakfast room is on the small side, but we found seats with no problem. The breakfast room staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was hot and flavorful, with generous portions. The hotel only has an outdoor pool (along with a hot tub in a different area). However, the pool is quite large, and has a deep end larger than most (8 1/2 feet). The pool area was clean and the water warm, but...you'll need to go back to your room to use the bathroom. The price we paid was in the $120's, which was a decent price for the experience. We will add this to our list of hotels when we travel I-5 in Oregon. Enjoy!

Very clean rooms and breakfast room was very clean as well. The attendant during breakfast was lovely! From check in to check out, everything was very nice. We will stay there again when we come back! We can always count on best western to be nice and clean!

Way overpriced for what you get. Not up to Best Western standards. Not even close! Bait and switch? At the time of my arrival the room price was increased from what had been offered during the telephone conversation with the front desk receptionist making the advance reservation. The room I had booked had been given away and I was given a lesser quality room at a higher rate by the time that I arrived. The receptionist at check-in would not honor the original rate, telling me that this was the only room she would give me, and that I could go somewhere else if I didnt want to pay the higher rate than was quoted to me. This was after midnight in a city that I did not know. Where else could I take my exhausted family that late at night? The entire motel and the rooms that I saw were old and worn out, they need to be gutted and renovated. The room doors were difficult to open and to shut. The room smelled bad. The carpet was filthy. Worn and stained and filthy. There were NO 110 volt functional electrical outlets by the bedside for CPAP, nor for cell phone charger, making it impossible to use CPAP, therefore making it impossible to get a good nights sleep! The beds were awful! Hard worn out mattresses that shook excessivly with every movement of the people sleeping in them. Hard dense, cheap foam pillows. The ancient Heater/AC units blast straight out onto the bed closest to it rather than circulating the heat/cold up into the room Shower water was either full-out all hot, or just low-pressure cold; unable to control water temperature and pressure for a good shower. Bathroom floor as sticky. My shoes actually stuck to the floor! Noisey rooms with doors banging constantly during the night and morning due to doors throughout the motel being so difficult to open and also to latch, you really had to slam them to get them to latch. WiFi was slow. So slow. . . Only found one ice machine far, far away near the front office for the entire motel, even though the room information stated that there were ice machines on each floor. There were no visible signs of any others. Denial of service: The staff in reception was curt, dismissive and very unfriendly. Both night and morning staff were down-right rude! The morning receptionist was actually really mean to three young children seeking breakfast who arrived 5 minutes after the end of the breakfast service's "New Hours" (that only started that morning) The old hours were still posted in the rooms and at arrival. But the morning receptionist would not let them gain access to the breakfast area, nor give the young girls any thing at all even though the breakfast area, though winding down, was still functional. How mean can you get to secretly shorten the hours and then deny children their breakfast? Unbelievable. The only pleasant staff was the young woman who ran the breakfast service in the locked breakfast room. She was very pleasant and efficient. She kept the food buffet clean and well stocked. Although the breakfast service was a minimal offering, the attendant made the most of what she could with the meagre expenditure by the owners. There was no hot cocoa nor non-caffeinated herbal tea whatsoever; but the coffee she made was good and strong. The hours of breakfast service were decreased for the summer busy season, how does that make any sense at all other than to deny service? The breakfast service hours posted were incorrect. The motel information in the room was incorrect or too vague to offer any value. This was a poorly run, outdated, worn out, old motel using the Best Western brand reputation to lure customers into their sketchy operation. What a miserable experience. Never again.

We were on a road trip and needed a clean place to stay overnight. This place was perfect. The room was spacious and well stocked with everything we would need for the stay. Our pet was also comfortable on the lounge chair and it was quiet through the night. Breakfast was great and there was a nice variety. After breakfast, we walked across the street to the dog park and let our pup run around. Overall, I was sad to leave the next day!

My family and I absolutely loved this place! The amenities were plentiful and the staff was most polite :) The continental breakfast was divine! The “breakfast bar”was very clean and tidy- very presentable!

The stay was lovely the room cleanest room I have been in in many years. The staff was gracious and very helpful. Not to mention the Black Bear diner in the parkinglot makes it Wonderful place to stay while in Medfor.

This hotel is nice but could really use some updating. The grounds need cleaning up and the rooms really need hard wood floors and updates to be more appealing. We stayed for business but if we were staying for fun we'd have wanted the pool area to be nicer.

I have stayed at this location many times in the last 10 years. This was the first regrettable time. Smelly carpet, dirty tub also with bugs in the tub, chairs needing to be cleaned, one queen bed with uneven mattress (soft on one side hard on the other), semi parked outside with refrigeration running at night, whole stay very noisy within the hotel and loud cars driving by, ambulances going by 4 times (at least while we were awake).

Well cared for BW Inn. They prove you don't have to be new to be great. The rooms and property clean and well maintained, beds comfortable and serves a great breakfast. Staff show a sense of pride and hospitality.My stay was affordable and comfortable. I would definitely come back. This stay was better than other hotels I had paid more for. I would want people from all over the world to stay here to get a slice of America's hospitality.

Outdated needs new beds, uncomfortable the rooms needs new beds bad we have stayed in two rooms. Both beds were horrible. The rooms were clean. There was a wrapper underneath one of the beds bathrooms were clean the breakfast it's OK.

After A stressful start to our trip with cancelled flights, the room and hotel were so wonderful. Everything was clean and made us excited about our trip again. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and saved us from having to find a place. For a quick stop over, we had a lovely time!

Food was good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our first room smelled of cigarettes. They changed our room, The second room, the toilet ran on and off.... wierd. Breakfast was very good. The staff was great. Rooms could use updating! Mattress was uncomfortable.

If you decide to stay here, please check your room for cleanliness before accepting it. Very strong dirty human odor. Carpet extremely soiled. Some sort of bug larva crawling up wall in dressing area. Just gross. Will not stay here again.

Dirty carpet, rotten food found under dresser that I had to dispose of. Pet cleaning deposit even though room was dirty and unkempt. Definitely not Best Western standards. I'd avoid this place. Unfortunately it was an overpriced team hotel.

We stayed at a Best Western Plus in Salem, Oregon. The experience was fantastic. That's what made us choose the Best Western in Medford, Oregon. This hotel is no where near as nice the Best Western in Salem. The bedding was scratchy and uncomfortable. We got the same type of room we had in Salem but this was much smaller and not nearly as nice. The only good things were the staff and breakfast. The spa wasn't working. The air conditioner had problems. I think if we hadn't stayed at the Salem location, which exceeded our expectations, we wouldn't have been as disappointed with the Medford lication.

A nice hotel with laundry facilities. quiet and clean, pool was open and clean. Room was clean. Morning id tough with folks rolling luggage down which can be very loud. Hot tub was locked and it's a trek to get to the main office to have anyone come down and unlock the gate.

We stayed one night on our way to the coast. It's an older hotel, but the room was clean, the front desk staff friendly, the breakfast was great, and parking lot was huge. Would definitely stay again. Also, rates were decent, especially compared to some of the newer hotels that were charging ridiculous rates.

If you just need a place to sleep breaking the driving - this is the place. The room prices are bit on the higher note, for the things you will get. The door room were not closing completely (not sure what happened to me on this trip, second hotel with the same issue), there was a leak in the bathroom, very dangerous since you can slip very easily if you are not careful. The bathroom has old fashioned bathtub, kind of clean but can argue it. The fridge was clean but if you need to freeze something, good luck opening the freezer door. I don't use hair drier but this one was cleaned some time ago. I know human hair takes long time to dissolve and this hair dryer was the prove with few hairs sticking out of it… I was on the first floor which is good since my vehicle was parked in front of my room. The best hotel feature. Breakfast is common like with other places, nothing special and for my taste missing fruit. Conclusion - for a next drive break i will look for some other options, plenty of them around.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast for in the morning, large beautiful pool and bubbly hot tub. Not noisy and convenient location with diner close by. Amenities at poolside good - towels, lounge chairs and umbrella tables.

I chose this hoted based on the pictures from the BW website. I feel the pictures are too good to be true and not a correct representation of this hotel property. I was given another hotel room but the first room had very badly stained carpet with what appeared to be motor oil or grease as there were black workboot imprints all over the carpet between the beds and leading toward the sink area. Not acceptable for a toddler to be crawling around on. Both rooms the furniture was pretty outdated and the TVs small. I booked this hotel on the hotel website stating the ages of children staying with us and we were given an ADA unit with only a shower and was told at the front desk that this was my only option. Because the carpets were so badly stained and dirty, I told the first staff person I saw, that the room was unacceptable for a toddler. When I went to the front desk to ask for a different room, the gal automatically handed me another room key as the staff member called the front desk before I had arrived. Atleast this room had a tub...but they told me they didn't have any more rooms with a tub!. Also in the first room, it smelled like someone had been smoking and my daughter said she smelled mildew too and one of these beds looked lumpy and uneven. The 2nd room was not much better. The carpet had lots of stains but at least it wasn't black grease. On the beds at this property: they were on metal bedframes with caster wheels. The mattresses weren't the best but I have never seen these old metal frames used at a hotel in over a decade. The coffee pots in both rooms were in bad need of descalding to remove the white mineral deposits inside the water resovoire and sides. The towels were wonderful and the breakfast was decent except for the salty scrambled eggs. overall, this property is what you'd expect in the redlight district, which we were told by a local gal was a couple blocks away. Until this property gets an updated overhaul, think twice before staying here unless you are desperate. We were charged $179 for a 2 queen room.

My wife and I stayed here for one night on a recent road-trip and liked it. It's a large motel with a nice outdoor pool and hot tub. A so-so breakfast was included in our room rate. We had a suite which was large, very nice and new. It was also very clean. Front desk employees were helpful and friendly. Overall, a great value and a nice place to stay in Medford.

Crappiest place I have ever stayed at in Oregon ever and would never recommend this or stay there ever again . The beds are crap and the doors have a gap in them so you hear all noises outside and its not good for sleeping and you don't want to sleep any ways(::::////

SOftball tournament perfection-- PLace is older but very large rooms- good if you have pets-- great pool for the kids and awesome breakfast with really good hot food- keys didn't work the second day but they fixed immediately!

The inn is next to a Big Bear Diner which makes dinner a breeze without having to drive. The room is clean and quiet. Service is very courteous and helpful. We had a small issue with our room and staff was able to find us another room quickly during a busy day for them. There is plenty of parking and you can most times park close to your room. A good place to stay for families.

The property was well maintained as were the rooms. Rooms were clean and well stocked with towels. The breakfast was very good. What disappointed was the lack of ADA compliant grab bars in the bathroom and particularly in the tub/shower. For an elderly (mid 70s) couple such as my wife and I, the tub/shower was a slip & fall accident waiting to happen.

The facility is well maintained. It has easy access to I-5 and a variety of businesses and eateries. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, everything worked as expected. The pool area looked neat an clean from my balcony. Black Bear Diner in the middle of the complex was very nice

If you're travelling I-5 with a dog and seeking a hotel with a lot of bang for the buck, with nearby services, and right off the freeway this is your place. It's a bit older. Yet, it offers easy check-in/check-out, friendly staff, clean rooms, clean linens, blackout curtains, and a quiet nights' rest. We kid around and call it the Beast Western, as it's dog friendly. It's our #1 hotel choice for our drive from Seattle to San Francisco. It's located next to a Black Bear Diner, close to a dog park, with nearby Starbucks drive-thru, short distance to a Fred Meyer gas station with lower gas prices, and many other nearby services.

Difficult to get to hotel if travelling south on I-5. Good thing I had GPS. Welcoming staff. Be aware there are no elevators if your room is on second floor! Room is adequate size, small bathroom. Quiet stay even though close to interstate. Everything in working order, room and bathroom clean. More than adequate for one night stay. Did not utilize breakfast due to diet restrictions and travel with own food. I would stay again, but request first floor in my reservation.

very pleasant stay, nice staff, clean rooms, we had two queen bed which were comfortable with lots of pillows. easy off and highway access. pet friendly with adequate pet area. plenty of parking. room temp easily adjusted.

I told them I couldn't be there until after 1am. They said that would not be a problem. Great people and great service. I was greeted with smiles and willing to help with anything I asked so it was a joy!

Super clean and comfortable rooms, double queen room was relatively large. Very friendly front desk attendants, I will definitely stay here again when I come down way. Restaurant across the parking lot is nice and convenient. I had no problems whatsoever on my stay.

Pool out of service. Ice machine out of service Far too expensive. I tend to be loyal but this is ridiculous third best western hotel with issues with pool. No attempt to comp anything or make some discount. Door to room sticks, glass in room was chipped. Carpet looks tired. Just not sure being loyal is worth it.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at! The hot tub was outdoors but still was covered for people like me who like to go out to the hot tub even if it's raining. They had a heated big pool as well for all the olympic swimmers out there. The rooms were spacious and it was overall a really great experience! Will definitely be going back to this hotel next time I'm in town!

For $158 a night (including pet fee) I wold have expected a better quality breakfast. If you are ok with standard muffin, bagel, waffle, cereal then it is good. But the hot food (eggs and sausage) were terrible.

Bed was visibly broken down, carpet was different colours in different areas indicating how incredibly old it was. Check in staff was very friendly and professional, breakfast was good and staff was great. Cleanliness? We wore our shoes the whole time. The shower still had hairs on the walls and visible grime. Would not recommend at all except for the staff.

Very poor quality for the money. If you are looking for a motel experience this is it! Vehicles parked outside your door, starting up at all times of the night. Paper thin walls, I could go on. Crowded, airless breakfast room, no one wearing a mask although it was posted on the door. Will never stay here again. Paid the same for luxury at two other hotels on his trip.

I had to make this reservation on short notice, and needed pet friendly. I actually had low expectations but when I entered the lobby—which was up to date— I was greeted warmly and my check-in was smooth. They had actually applied a lower rate than I'd been told on the phone saving us enough money for pizza. The room was spotless and smelled clean in spite of being in the pet section. Later I had a special request for space to hold a small business meeting and they found a solution for me. I'd go back here.

Monique and Nicole were super friendly. Thanks for giving us a great experience, they deserve a raise for their hard work. I hope to come back this month. Having the pool open is such a plus love how warm it is.

Spent one night on a trip between WA and CA. Facility is well maintained and very clean. Even though it is close to the freeway, so it is convenient, we didn't hear any freeway noise. The complimentary breakfast offers a good selection of foods with proper cooling or heating as required. They have two floors but no elevator.

I had a concern when I first arrived but the front staff was exceptional and taking care of any concerns and making sure my stay was awesome. When you're traveling with a five year old child safety and cleanliness are huge concern and this place really did a fantastic job of safety beautiful pool great breakfast and super clean room. The front staff once again were really awesome.

Rough stay at this location! I reported the tv not working 3 times over a two day period. The TV issue was never addressed! We also had ants in the room, I figured at that point they would have moved us but that did not occur. Also there was a large stain on the couch.

This is a great place to stay if you are traveling with dogs. They have a specific area of the hotel for those traveling with pets. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is also an off-leash dog park across the street!

This hotel is very charming from the outside. Inside is clean and comfortable. There were plenty of options for breakfast, including dairy free for my wife, and if you want something a little more, there is a Black Bear Diner in the parking lot. Location is right off the interstate.

We spent one night in this hotel while travelling through Oregon. Good location with easy access to/from I - 5. No road noise in room and the Black Bear Restaurant was next door. Good breakfast and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again nd recommend it to others.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. We stayed 2 nights with my dog. Every time I looked outside, someone was going around the sidewalks and parking lot sweeping up leaf litter and every little scrap of paper. Immaculate. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and good options. Staff very pleasant and accommodating.

I stayed here to break up a long drive from Oregon to California. I specifically requested a quiet room in advance, and the staff responded well by placing me on the upper floor with no neighbors. Unlike many Best Western locations, the rooms are accessed by outdoor walkways without exterior walls providing more soundproofing. With it being winter, the pool and the hot tub were closed, and I imagine it would be noisier at a different time of year. The room was spotless and I appreciated how quiet the appliances were compared to other hotels. The refrigerator was inside a cabinet and barely audible. With the overnight temperature in the 30s, I kept the heat on all night and it was much quieter than most hotels. As a vegetarian who likes a hot breakfast, I appreciated that they offered scrambled eggs that were fresh. The staff were all friendly and responsive. They made both checking in and checking out easy. When my door handle was hard to operate on the inside, they apologized and fixed it.

We stopped for the night on our way down I-5. The weather had been pretty nasty, so we wanted to stop while we could. This was one of the only places that had rooms available, and it worked out wonderfully. We were traveling with our dog, and they provided us with a room in the back corner. It was nice and quiet, and easy to take the dog out for a quick walk. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked well. Breakfast in the morning was actually quite good, including more choices than the usual hotel stuff. Check in and out was fast. I definitely recommend.

Nice people, lots of room. Good hot breakfast. We had some small issues that the desk staff resolved. Needed a work order for an electrical outlet. I personally wish the beds could have been a little softer. But it had a frig, TV, chair to sit in. They were also able to put us in a handicapped room, which is nice. Appreciate having the bar next to the potty and the shower easier to use for us.

I stay here every time I travel from LA to Portland. This hotel is very clean, very quiet and the staff is friendly and helpful. A diner is 50 yards from hotel and more food located within 3-5 minutes away. If you are traveling I-5 through Medford, OR. and need a very nice place to stay this is it !!!

I don't know what it used to be, maybe a Motel 6, or worse. When we drove up the reception clerk was in the parking lot talking to a dirtbag. The clerk ran inside and the dirtbag got into her hoopty and drove off. We got a room…that was OCCUPIED! Went back to reception and were given another room. The carpet is thread bare and disgustingly dirty. The room is old and sad. If I wasn't tired, and it wasn't late, I would just get my money back and leave. It's SO gross here. The room smells nauseatingly like some sort of Downy like scent, probably to mask how awful it really smells. Oh, and the best thing…TWO security guards wandering the parking lot!! Tells me a LOT about this place and the area it's in! I can't believe Best Western is allowing their name to be associated with this place.

Checked in late at night. Clerk was very pleasant and helpful. The room was on the first floor with parking right in front. The facility is easy to access I-5. Even better, there is a Black Bear Diner right in the parking lot. It was a real temptation in the morning, but the included breakfast was very nice.

We liked this property as it was quick access to I-5. Hotel room was very clean (I am picky as I worked in industry before and check all areas to make sure they are clean and sanitary). Covid protocol was in place and good. Diner next door was helpful for a quick meal. Pet friendly and a good breakfast bar.

Had to change rooms 3 time as bath tub was covered in sewerage back up in 2 of the rooms. "breakfast" was terrible cold, overcooked and stale. Kitchen staff seemed not to care - maybe that is all they had to work with

I stayed one night and found the property to be clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and efficient. One improvement would be to have heavier bedding for winter. I had to use the heater to say warm and it's loud. Heavier bedding would be nice. The town seems to close down very early. There are several fast food options in the area and Black Bear Diner just next door. I didn't want to sit down at a restaurant, so I went to get a quick bite at a fast food place. The only places open were McDonald's and Taco Bell. All others were closed. Eat early!

Whenever traveling I always choose BW. I enjoy the pool, breakfast and the internet works great! Taft has always gone above and beyond at each location I've stayed. The rewards Rogan is awesome and free!

The couple of the wedding booked a block of rooms and requested to have us all near each other and our whole guest list was scattered throughout the hotel. Would not recommend this hotel. Staff was rude

When my son got into bed, there were two dirty socks in the sheets, indicating that they hadn't been changed. The fitted sheet on the other bed wasn't tucked in, and it looked like someone had been laying on it, so we assumed neither set had been washed. We were disgusted. The visit spiraled from there. The wallpaper was filthy, and the carpet needed cleaning. They offered for us to go to another room, but would that have been just as bad? We were hundreds of miles from home, 9:30 at night, and had no choice but to stay. We slept above the bedding, froze, and didn't sleep well. The staff was nice though.

While I really appreciate the help of the desk in helping to correct the Priceline error in my reservation what I do not appreciate is that when corrected Best Western increased the daily rate by $46 without telling me.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived late but we were able to park our SUV and trailer near our room. We had a bottom room so it was easy to load and unload our stuff. I felt like paying $180 for the room was a little too high. The room had a smell to it that was not fresh. Toilet needs to be upgraded, wasn't sure if it was going to flush every time. Room was big enough as we had two adults, two kids and two dogs. Breakfast was good. Might stay here again if I find a better rate.

The rooms are old and dated as the property is in some serious need of repairs and improved maintenance. The bed, pillows, and bedsheets are dirty looking and don't look clean. The room had bugs. The coffee maker looks like it had not been cleaned for a long time. The telephone had weird yellow stains. Bizarre. The other room's front door did not close well as you had to pretty much slam the door to get it to seal so that the room wasn't left open. I do appreciate the gentleman who fixed the door as he was very thorough and caring to repair the door. Regarding the breakfast, the apple juice was diluted, super watered down. Although the hotel had toothpaste they had no toothbrushes. Finally, the property's general manager ignores calls and emails as clearly the property does not care about you.

You will like your stay in this hotel as it provides a really good full breakfast. Is very clean. The room provides an iron board and iron so you won't have to take one. The tv has good channels and they have an outdoor pool. Free parking as well.

This is a nice clean hotel. The rooms are cozy and warm with a great breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. This was a great way to begin our vacation. Thank you so much for everything, we look forward to staying again.

Got two rooms overnight for a business trip. Both rooms were nasty. - High touchpoints were filthy, looks like it has not been clean in a while. There were black smudges around door handles, locks, and doors. - Hairs in the tub and sink. - There were brown stains on the toilets. - The carpet has brown and black stains throughout the room. - Bed has faded black spots, as well as the pillows. - Air conditioner was dirty and did not work well. Made the room humid and not colder. - The area didn't look very safe. Reserved rooms here based on the reviews it was clean and comfortable when it's quite the opposite. hhhhhmmmmm?????? Been a long-time diamond member and I am very disappointed at this location. What happened to this brand???

Spent the night here Mid Sept. 2021. We had reserved a room with a king bed and apron check in I asked for a first floor room and was told there was one available and that I could have it they also informed me that it would be a free up grade to a King suite room. The Hotel overall was quite, our room clean the room furnishing very nice and in very good condition. We would stay there again in a heart beat!.

My family and myself just witnessed a staff member yelling at a Mexican American man as he was walking away SHOUTING "YOU PEOPLE NEVER LISTEN" we are confused and also shocked that this behavior is tolerated at a best western of all places....sadly disappointed as this man clearly wasn't a concern nor doing anything to invoke this man and we heard the man walking away saying to himself "shouldn't you be worried about guests why are you screaming psycho" honestly no matter what the reason he was yelling for that is not how a staff member should act especially with a racist condintation.

Motel looked old on outside but very nice inside. We were disappointed that there was no change machine in laundry room that required quarters. The front desk did provide 4$ worth though. We had 5 people and about 5 days of laundry to do. Pool seemed nice but air to cold to use. Room was large and clean.

The simple fact is this is a basic motel. No particular special amenities. It delivers standard quality but not at a standard price. There is no reason on Earth why basic lodging should cost $180/night. Nothing big was going on in Medford. But the entire hotel industry here seems to have conspired to drive prices up. Given that,this was acceptable, and I have nothing particularly bad or particularly good to say about it...

On a recent road trip, my wife and I stayed 4 nights at 4 different Best Western facilities. Each experience was quite positive. Service at each location was prompt and efficient. Each facility was clean, orderly and conducive for a great night's sleep!

have never been disappointed at the best western on Barnett Rd. Clean rooms ,great staff, nice pool, and good breakfast. Stay here to play senior softball several times each summer and get a special discount for our group of players

Very happy with my 3-night stay at BW Horizon Inn. The room was comfortable and clean, friendly staff, and good amenities. The large outdoor pool is a plus as with the security guard onsite after dark. I felt very safe.

We needed a dog-friendly place to stay, nothing upscale, but not old and scary. Best Western Horizon gave us a good, basic, clean room in a convenient location right off the highway. I never eat free hotel breakfasts, so I don't know if the complaints are valid. I also don't understand the complaints about cost. The Super 8 is only slightly less money, but is run-down, dirty, and smelly. The Best Western prices are average, not inflated. It's not luxury, but it's nice.

This lodging was a short-notice alternative, and the desk clerk, Mel, did an outstanding job of getting my wife and I into a satisfactory room at the best rate she could. Ground floor room (#114) was easy to move into, with parking right outside the door. Room was clean and cool (outside temp was 103 degrees!), and had sufficient amenities for a comfortable stay. Just a few downsides, but they're enough to keep us from returning in the future: Room Rate was double what it should have been, even with a military discount; parking lot conversations between guests outside of our room continued until around 11 pm, and started up again around 6:30 am; breakfast room was the size of our guest room, and was jam-packed by guests all morning. I donned a mask, raced inside, grabbed a couple of mini-muffins, and dashed outside to join my wife at one of three small outside tables. I had to turn away a maskless family who asked to join my wife and I at our 4-place table. (They proceeded to plunk themselves down at the table next to us when the occupant didn't decline fast enough.) On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, bathroom fully functional with a good tub/shower combo, and a decent flat screen TV for watching the Olympics. Decent staff saved this motel from a lower rating.

Save your money and stay somewhere cheaper. This property is extremely overpriced. $211/night after taxes is too much. We primarily chose this property for the outdoor pool. Not worth the price. The only pet area was in the planters along the parking lot and then it was bark dust/wood chips. Not enough room for a pet to really find places to go. Would not recommend this place. Save your $$ and stay at a Motel 6 which is pretty close to what it was worth. Staff was awesome however. Sketchy area, but did have security walking the property.

Rooms are too old bed, pillows and bed sheets are disgusting looking and don't look clean likely I brought my own in the car Value for the price horrible I really expected a nicer hotel for the price The room had fleas and got fleas bite all over my leg I had to take my indoor cat that was with me for flea se treatment afterwards

The whole property and room where very clean. The front desk staff where very friendly and helpful. The Air Conditioning worked amazingly on what was a HOT day. Room was quiet even being across pool. There wasn't much to not like, but if I had to choose something I would say the rooms are a little dated and due for a refresh. But, they are clean and have been well maintained.

We travel to Medford 2 to 4 times per year to visit family. Have stayed at BW Horizon Inn many times and often in one of their family suites. We always request first floor rooms because of mobility issues (not handicapped but afraid of failing on the old bad stairs). In April we were bumped to the upstairs suite and decided that next time to reserve early and pay for the rooms in advance. The reservation lady said to not worry that we did not need to pay in advance and she would make sure we got first floor rooms (1 suite and a nearby double queen). We called before arriving to make sure our rooms were good and were told that we had AGAIN been moved to the upstairs suite. Apparently the current tenant had extended their stay... but instead of asking them to move they moved us. We were told that a "Do not move" note had been put on the room but management had decided otherwise. We're looking for a new hotel in the Medford area for our future trips.

The room was clean but old and the carpet was worn and crusty feeling. The breakfast was one mini muffin suitable for a small child. The ceiling was super thin and could hear every step of the people above me and the parking lot loud in the morning.

Homeless are very "comfortable"in the parking lot , even to the point of swimming in the pool. There is no security key or gates to the pool so they can just walk in as they please. Ruined my whole trip with my grandkids. You also have to seek out clean towels, coffee, and dump your own trash because no one comes around to get or give you anything.

Awful breakfast choices and you're lucky if they have what you choose. The internet login and speed was slower than ten years ago when we last stayed there. They told us that if we wanted a good breakfast to go over to a close by diner!! We don't think the coffee maker had been cleaned for a very long time. We asked for room service at 10:30am and had not received it by 3:00pm and eventually settled for having fresh towels. We know it's difficult times with Covid but if other hotels can cope well, Best Western should!

We checked into the room assigned to us to find the toilet filled with feminine products and the mirrors/TV smeared and crumbs on the floor. We were then moved to a different room where we found a large sewing needle IN THE BED and also stuffing of the pillow coming out through torn pillow case with black hair attached and the mirrors and TV screen smeared with something like lotion. This was in the evening, so the maintenance man, who did not know where to find clean sheets, etc, agreed to clean up the toilet and floors and windows in the first room while we were out. I have NEVER seen anything like this and the hotel only discounted $35 from the first night after we moved back and forth, lost confidence in the cleanliness of the room, and STILL found that the microwave had not been cleaned. DO NOT STAY in this hotel, really, unbelievable.

Nice and clean motel. Exterior is well maintained. Interior is a bit "dated" but everything was clean and working. The bed was comfortable. Quiet and safe. Motel staff was friendly and helpful. They also had breakfast. There are some great breakfast places close by. We liked the easy freeway access. Especially liked the fact we were able to park right in front of our room! Great room for the price. We would stay here again!

The Best Western Horizon rooms are clean and comfortable. With COVID the comped breakfast was brown bagged. More than adequate! This is our traditional stop while visiting our g-kids! Based on our recent experience we will continue to use BW!

The room I stayed in this time was nice. The bed seemed more comfortable than the last room I stayed in, but the pillows weren't the best. I decided not to bring my pillow, as I would normally, but regretted that decision as soon as I tried to go to sleep. The pillow case was kind of rough and the pillows were too fluffy and lumpy. I just couldn't get comfortable on it. Because I couldn't get to sleep, whether it was because my mind wouldn't shut off or how uncomfortable I was, I just decided that since I needed to be back home by a certain time, I may as well check out early and beat the traffic, hoping that I would get some sleep before my appointments later that day. Needless to say, had I known that I wouldn't have been able to sleep, I wouldn't have bothered to reserve the room. I guess I won't forget to bring my own pillow again. By the time I got home and went to bed finally, I had been up for 24 hours.

Property and rooms are clean, staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had our dog and adjoining room and are beds and pillows were plush. Hotel was quiet, we couldn't hear through the walls. Hotel location was convenient.

I loved the front desk staff at this Best Western, but for the price, I think it is NOT a good value. The walls between rooms are very thin and you can hear people talking, partying late at night. There are many homeless people and petty criminals roaming the area.

Best Westerns are family oriented and are priced to support your wallet. The staff is friendly and are willing to do anything to umake your stay better. The beds are comfortable and they give you extra pillows.

Pretty nice room for a great price. Very clean, with a kitchenette nice little sofa so not forced to sit on the bed, everything was in working order and tastefully decorated. I would definitely stay here again.

The Wife was very happy with the room, primarily with the modern decor and space at the end of a two week trip. Quiet room as well, though smokers downstairs did leak a bit into the room. Straightforward temp control on the wall unit. And C-H-E-E-P, cheap for the area and compared with the past stays here. This is strongly recommended.

I stayed here for a work trip with the Oregon Department of Forestry. I returned to my room one night to find all of my things missing and the room cleaned. To make a very long story short, the hotel mixed me up with a group of people there with the Oregon Human Development Corporation and failed to follow multiple policies and procedures before emptying my room (myself and my employer were never contacted- the night shift thought my key card just didn't work and kept rekeying it). All of my things had been thrown into plastic bags or haphazardly into my suitcase. My cosmetics were ruined, my Kindle was damaged, and several items that were going to be returned had the boxes thrown out so I couldn't return them. I was left with no room, away from home, and 10pm at night and the general manager who contacted me has never followed through even though I emailed her as she asked. I am in the process of escalating the issue with Best Western, but am left feeling disgusted at the way this whole situation has been handled. As far as the profiling, it has been pointed out to me that because my last name is Ramos and the Oregon Human Development Corporation serves farmworkers and disadvantaged Oregonians that the staff just assumed I was part of the group that checked out with the OHDC. The staff of course denies this, but their stories don't add up. I will never stay in this hotel again- I'd rather sleep in my car. I've never been treated so poorly, had my privacy so grossly violated, or received such poor customer service resolution.

have stayed in over 6 different BWs over the last two months, some in Or were not so great, but this one stood out. Room was clean, well appointed, and staff were great. I was in large Uhaul and had trouble finding parking, desk clerk came up w/ solution.

Was evacuated from Shady Cove, Or. due to Obenchain Fire Sept. 12 and 13th. Had cat, requested ground floor.Noticed most all of employees esp. Office wearing masks. Room clean, a.c.working. CASE,at front desk very professional and efficient and helpful. Bed was great ...only complaint I had was the pillows were overstuffed and lumpy.It is an older hotel but as I was evacuated they gave me some discounts which helped a lot. The other 2 ladies were also nice. I also had a gap around my door but it locked so happy. Because 20 yrs.old looked like needed new carpeting. STAFF was the best, including the masked cleaning personnel!

I have been here for two days and noticed that several of their cleaning staff are unmasked while cleaning rooms. On the first day, I thought maybe it was just the one employee and on second day notice that several female cleaners are cleaning all day without masks on. This is NOT compliant for businesses that serve the public. At a minimum, they should wear faceshields if they all happen to have personal reasons for not being able to wear masks, which I highly doubt. This hotel was not a first choice, as all others are sold out while here for a big baseball event. Shame on the management. It's not that hard just to wear a mask and protect others.

Will never stay again. I didn't feel very safe as the ground level room I had didn't lock properly. The top main latch/lock had a broken piece indicating the door had previously been kicked in and the remaining two locks were extremely hard to secure. There was a gap between the door and the door frame. The carpet was so old and dingy that I wouldn't even walk on it with bare feet. The check in gal never asked about any preferences (which looking back would've preferred an upstairs room, off the street level). The place is in some serious need of repairs and upgrades. Possible bed bugs or other sort of bugs as I left with a welt on my face under my eye, not sure where it came from.

From the receptionist who guided us to nearby attractions to the house keeping staff who were ready to assist with anything we needed, this became one of the most enjoyable and worry free trip. Thank you BestWestern! Needless to say, The Crater Lake National Park trip was memorable. The 2.5 hr drive from BestWestern to the park was worth watching such beautiful and delightful lake. It is a must! Thank you BestWestern for helping us create this beautiful family trip.

The room was clean, first room had a broken a.c., they said I could stay in it and it would be fixed the next day or she had one other room. Lots of people hanging outside their rooms, drinking and smoking weed. People knocking on m y door in the night, people sleeping in their van in the parking lot.

Very old motel - and stuff doesn't work. The ac didn't work and it was hot outside, so we didn't get any sleep. We asked to switch rooms, but the ac started working temporarily so we didn't. After a terrible night sleep, we got up to shower and found cold water. On checkout, the clerk just said “so sorry.” On the plus side, it's pet friendly and near a little dog park.

Cons- I have to be honest it's not the best location. There is a walking place for pets but not safe. Lots of homeless people's stuff and garbage. Our door had issues closing. The walls are paper thin. The room is very dated. The rug needs replaced. Pros- Staff are nice. Room is clean. Pool is very well kept.

This is a great pet friendly hotel. The hotel and grounds are always clean. The staff is helpful and there is a dog park across the street. There are many restaurants close by and even a brown bear diner in the parking lot

Everything was ok except for our bed, probably time to replace the mattress at least in our room. King sized bed with two well shaped dips where people have slept. Good news is it kept you from falling out of bed!! Motel itself was older property but very well kept and nicely landscaped. Great restaurant right next door.

Our front door would not close all the way. We could hear the people in the room next to us talking as if they were in our room. They were talking at a normal level. That was extremley uncomfortable and awkward. We felt like we had to whisper. Our room smelled like potent cleaning supplies. A few I'm assuming crack heads roaming through the parking lot when we got to our room. We would have changed hotels but we got in at midnight after a 13 hour drive from CA and dealt with it. Front desk staff was very nice. There is no way people haven't complained about this before and obviuosly these issues haven't been dealt with. Very firm bed if thats what you prefer. I would have paid double to have stayed someone else. We are very reasonable and really don't complain much but I had to on this stay. A very nice staff and I hope the ownership figures things out for their customers. Sorry to say but would not stay here again.

My husband and I came from Klamath Falls to receive medical attention. We chose Best Western because of it's proximity to doctors and shopping! We were welcomed by Kase who was delightful and very well informed. Our room was on the back side of the hotel which was very quiet, CLEAN AS A WHISTLE, and very well appointed. ALL ROOMS AERE SMOKING FREE!!! Kace and the housekeeping staff were always available to answer questions and to make suppositions. If you want the best hotel at REASONABLE prices, close to the action the BEST WESTERN HORIZON INN is the place to stay! Thank you Best Western and especially Kase and Darby, you made us want to come back..... SOON!!

It is often difficult to find a hotel that will take 3 cats & 1 dog! The other issue is finding adjoining rooms! When your cats get nervous when they want to be together! This hotel provided us with adjoining rooms! Everyone was happy!

The hotel took appropriate precautions for Covid, including a brown bag breakfast handed to us with a glove. The rooms are basic but clean and well equipped. The fridge did not freeze my icepack. Pet area adequate.

This was the 2nd time staying in this location. The 1st time we brought our dog. I'm happy to know when we come to Medford to visit my boyfriends family that I have the option to bring along the dog too and not have to find someone to watch him while we are out of town.

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have always found that it has great service. On this stay I was given a room at the top of the stairs which I have found is always noisy. I asked for a different room and was quickly assigned another one. The rooms are always very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I like that fact that they have ceramic mugs instead of paper cups for coffee and tea! It is located close to the freeway but not on it so you don't hear traffic noise or smell fumes.

Long drive brought us to Medford. All staff professional & helpful. Old facility but appears to have recently been remodeled. Very clean, inside rooms as well as grounds. Breakfast is typical but nicely presented & extremely well presented & kept clean. Showers have lots of hot water & pressure.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Check in was fast. Breakfast had a nice variety and the food was good. The rooms need upgrading and the property was rather noisy late at night. The bed was ok and the rooms clean.

I had a wonderful first stay at the Best Western Medford. From great greeting from new trainee, “Autumn” to super service from the cleaning hostess. Very very good breakfast, extremely clean and inviting spot.

We like to use the Best Western Brand because we know before we walk in that we will get a clean room and that the staff will help us out if we do have something that is not quite right. We were able to get the single king size bed that we wanted in a no smoking room in a location that was easy to access. While we didn't use it except to get coffee to go the complementary breakfast looked fine and the hostess was up front and personable.

I enjoyed your hotel. It was amazing in its decor, amenities and staff accomodations. The location was excellent, and the breakfast reminded me of European service..GREAT! You guys are really the Best in the West.

We love the hotel because it's clean, friendly and they have a super nice breakfast. When in Medford look here first, they have it all. Nice rooms and friendly staff, close to everything. No noise from the freway and restuarants are all close by. The price is reasonable and the rooms are big. Well cared fro property. It has everything and at the right pricer!

Know your way in and out. Take a moment to look at the map before you get there. It is easy, you just have to know what you need to do since it is on a one way street. It is close to everything Medford and reasonably easy to get on and off the freeway

Great location if you have a car! We needed to stay close to the big hospital in Medford and this was a really close option- just a few mins drive from the hotel. Rooms were decent, clean, and comfortable. They had a great breakfast that is included in the rate. Lots of options. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub- but looked like everyone was enjoying themselves there. Lots of families stay in this property so there was a decent amount of noise from kids having fun at the pool- but that never bothers us.

Have stayed here numerous times and always a wonderful experience. We travel with our 2 dogs so always request a pet room. Not only do they have a nice dog area at the motel but the dog park is right across the street. Rooms are so clean that you could never tell another dog had ever been in your room upon check-in. Would highly recommend staying here.

I would always stay at this Best Western Motel as it is always clean, willing to help and very good to me and my loved ones when I need to stay and prepare for a medical procedure or spend time shopping with a friend. They are always willing to help me in any way possible.

They list themselves as pet friendly, but charging an additional $25 for one small dog is not friendly, tolerant maybe. The toilet seat was yellow from age. I was standing in 3" of water at the end of my shower. The breakfast was "meh" - eggs, sausage, etc. came from the microwave. The heater/ac did heat but the thermostat control was not accurate. The staff had it on when we arrived, but it must have been 75 in the room. I tried to turn on the AC to cool down the room, but it would not work. It stayed overly warm in the room the rest of the night. The beds were very comfortable, though.

Visited Medfore for a Granddaughter Soccer match, Arrived late Friday and checked in quickkly and easily. Requested a late checkout so we didn't need to vacate way before the match and was told "No Problem". Room was not huge, but comfy and well equipped. Grandma, Grandpa and 2 Granddaughters slept well and took advantage of the free breakfast.

Because of its location I wasn't sure I'd get a good nights rest. BUT in spite of the motel being full my room was very quit. There are good restaurants close by. The staff was pleasant and helpful, trying to please. Very glad I stayed there and will go back again.

great place for stays of 1 week or less. Comfortable, clean, no smoke smell, good HOT water, great lite breakfast with very good coffee. Pool and a hot tub. Ample parking. Close to dinning and other facilities. verg good area.

While the hotel amenities are a bit dated the bed an pillows were very by comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were very accommodating. I found the hotel online, be sure to mention to staff the online pricing vs. their pricing.

I stayed at this hotel on 10/25/2019 for one night in room 140. The next day I found bites on my body in bed bug bite pattern. I called that same day to report it to the hotel and ask them to inspect the room I stayed in. The woman told me they've never had a bed bug problem, but that she would check the room. Nobody called me back. I called for an answer later that evening. After a runaround, I was informed that nobody had checked the room I stayed in and that I would need to call back the next day to speak to a manager, as only a manager can check for bed bugs. The next day, I called to speak with the housekeeping manager. She also told me they've never had a bed bug problem, but that she would go right away to inspect my room. I assume by them telling me they've never had a bed bug problem they're setting the stage to accuse me of bringing them in, but I was only in that room for less than 10 hours to sleep and then be on my way again early in the morning. It's not possible that I could've caused an infestation during that time period, and I have never dealt with bed bugs before. I have received no call back from the manager and I am not impressed with how they've handled this. They don't seem to be taking it seriously at all. I would never stay here again.

Our go to stop. Easy access to freeway and hot spots. Always clean, friendly and helpful staff. Room are spacious. Refrigerator and microwave are nice. Usually only use refrigerator. Towels big and fluffy. Hot tub is always functional.

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times over the years. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is very good. The hot breakfast is tasty. We enjoyed our stay as usual and plan to stay there again.

my husband and I are from redding ca.. and we had traveled to Medford Oregon so my husband could have emergancy eye surgery. We got to the hotel late, the receptionist was so kind and helpful.. check in was a breeze and it was by far the best experence we have ever had checking in to a hotel.

I am thorouggly disgusted the maid neglected to change the linens prior to our check in! If you stay there make sure you check your sheets! It was an average experience otherwise but I would not recommend it to anyone.

We arrived around 11pm. The desk clerk was friendly, and the room was clean. The breakfast, while good, had fewer options than other hotels offering breakfast, however we did leave full, and ready for the day. And there is a restaurant right next door if you wanted something specific for breakfast. I would stay here again.

Usually I choose Best Western Plus because customer service is optimal and they are located ideally near to where I have to work at. This time, I was pleasantly surprise that most of the other customers where attending a senior conference and it made me feel right at home. Across the parking lot ( 25 ft) was the Big Bear Diner. It served great comfort food. Both waiters that took care of me were very polite and eager to explain to me customer favorites. I went back to the hotel's dining area and had coffee and pastry. The lady that was there to make sure there were no empty containers (eggs, fruit, etc) was very helpful. I was getting up to get a piece of fruit and I think she noticed that I was limping and she offered to get it for me. The morning I checked out the clerk asked how everything was. She had such a friendly smile. I will definitely stay here again. It is located near Abby's legendary pizza and other great restaurants and retail shops.

Whenever I go to Medford, I try to book the Best Western first because they have the best pillows in the hotel biz! Check them out if you're ever in town. Always friendly and always a great deal to be had!

The rooms are clean and well maintained. A few sugar ants int the bathroom, but no big deal. Beds were less comfortable than we're used to at BW. Really good breakfast spread. Waffles (of course), decent biscuits (not dried out) and sausage gravy ( had some nice spice to it), as well as the usual continental fare.

We were on vacation and traveling from Crater Lake, and Medford seemed like a logical choice to stay at.. This hotel is a little bit trouble to get to since the GPS took us off the highway to take a turn and then a U-tern to get into the property. We had reserved a first-floor room for easy access and it was clean and comfortable. I asked for a recommendation for dinner and their suggestion was surprisingly good - thanks for the tip! We got a good night's sleep. The breafast room was located just a few steps away so that it was easy to get to. Overall, it was a good place to stay, one that we will recommend.

I did not have a reservation but the desk attendant was very nice and gave me an excellent rate. Also gave me excellent dinner location recommendations. And explained where everything is located at the hotel. Would choose this hotel again.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Kate at the front desk is great. Breakfast was hot and tasted great. The area was so clean I started to look around for something out of place. I couldn't find anything out of place. The pool area is clean and the deep end is 8' deep. The room's A.C. was great too.

My girlfriend and I stayed here during our road trip from Seattle Washington to Los Angeles California. I was a little nervous at first as I had just had two friends stay in Medford and recount an unpleasant experience, but once getting to this motel style hotel, my worries went away. The grounds are very cute and despite being close to the highway, it was very quiet during our stay. While this place wasn't super fancy or anything, it was exactly what we needed: a quiet and clean place to stay for the night. Guest services was very friendly, complimentary breakfast was standard, and again most importantly, the room was clean and quiet!

Traveling from San Diego to Washington State was a long journey. Being able to stop at a hotel that has everything you need to unwind was great! Comfortable beds, pool, close food options and great staff!

Lots of new construction around Medford recently, but we keep coming back to this place. Great location, nice pool, friendly staff and a fair price. We are usually there for the shopping and relaxation, this Best Western is good for both.

We stayed here while en route to Crater Lake. The inn is the type my family used to call a motor court,” a place where you park your car next to the building. Here are my thoughts about the inn: Positives: Comfortable bed, well maintained; outdoor hot tub, but under cover (nice to be out of the direct sun!); large outdoor pool; close to Interstate highway, but without Interstate noise; Black Bear Diner next door (no need to drive anywhere to find food), courteous and efficient staff, nice landscaping, decent breakfast. Negatives: No elevator, so if you have difficulty climbing stairs with luggage, ask for a first-floor room. If I owned this inn, I'd paint or power wash the walkways to freshen them up. They are dirty looking. I don't know what can be done to improve the shower, but I had a problem with the water's temperature changing from hot to cold. Overall, the price was right for this inn.

Very good experience overall. The Breakfast was very nice with a great variety and quantity available at any time you decide to go. Room was a comfortable size with all the things you need for a stay. Older style lay out where you can park your car directly in front so your not carrying your luggage miles to your room. Good selection of retail stores close by but it can be a bit of a problem getting in and out of the hotel as it is close to an intersection on a some time busy road.

The first room had no working heat lamp in rest room. The main light was dirty and full of dead flies. The lamp in main room didn't work ask the time. Food and debris on the floor. Microwave had tissue in it. Coffee pot had a used filter ark in it. Second room had a whole meal box left in microwave.

We had the opportunity to take our kids on a road trip this summer. We stayed at multiple Best Westerns along the trip and we had consistently great stays with one exception. We will continue to us BW hotels for our further travels.

The staff was not rude but definitely not friendly or helpful. There are no discounts for family of hospital patients during the summer only during winter months. The beds are horrendously uncomfortable. My sister had a wonderful experience with the Hilton- go there!

Clean room, good breakfast, nice staff, clean pool area. We enjoyed our quick overnight. The accessible room was perfect for my disabled mother. We liked the walking distance to black bear diner. Would recommend for sure!

Overall, everything was fine except the shower. I don't take excessively long showers, maybe 5 or 6 minutes. During that time, the water temp fluctuated by about 20 degrees 4 times, and that was both up and down from a comfortable temperature. Staff, amenities, and the room were very good, other than the shower.

Quiet and well run hotel, with easy in and out for quick access to highway and center of town. Very helpful staff. The rooms were quiet and the pool was refreshing. I wish they would not allow smoking on the balcony though, that was the only 'disappointment' I had.

Large room with everything we needed. Restaurant next door, gas station nearby, just what you need for a good nights stay. Very clean and organized room and layout. Will stay again. Personal opinion for 'Senior's - good money value.

Have stayed there 3 times because it is convenient in our travels. Motel is old and not kept up. Each time I stayed it was worse, not better. I will not stay there again even though staff is wonderful and breakfast is good. room is gross.

Location is great for guests wanting to quickly access I-5 southbound. Little tricky to get to motel when your coming north on I-5 but after you figure it out, it's also doable. Good alue for the price.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of many attractions. Staff were very polite and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel was spotless. Fresh towels every day and we were never disturbed by the maid to come and clean the room. It was always when we were out so we were able to lie in. This means alot to us as we lead very busy hectic lives and when we are in holiday we need to sleep! Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice like pastries, cereal, various meats and cheese. Bacon and eggs, and toast with jams. After some of the reviews we'd seen saying breakfast wasn't great we were pleasantly surprised. Would recommend this hotel. The pool area was nice and we spent a day recuperating by it. Was definitely an added bonus to the hotel. Only have one criticism, the bathroom was a wet room so when we showered it went everywhere. This was the only negative. Overall brilliant hotel, amazing staff. Would go back. Air conditioning was controlled at reception but all it took was a call to them and they'd adjust it to whatever level you wanted no matter what time of the day or night. Brilliant holiday.

Traveling with dogs we found this hotel to be very nice. The room was big, everything was clean and as it should be. Breakfast had a hot option that was good. We were able to sit outside with our dogs and enjoy the nice morning. About the only negative and not the hotel's fault, was the ice machines were all empty by the time we left. I just remember this nice old lady carrying about 30 pounds of ice in a garbage bag.. "I think it's empty" yes yes it is. Again not their fault.

The room was good - pet friendly. However my car was broken into and my suitcase was taken out of the trunk. I had spare credit card stashed in suit case thinking that it would be good not to have them all in my purse. Called the motel and advised. They were only moderately concerned. Wondering if this is a regular occurrence.

I always try and stay at a Best Western because of the cleanliness and service. I would recommend this line of hotel to others who are looking for a reliable and comfortable stay, especially if travelling on your own.

Very nice hotel and staff; very clean, large parking lot, nice breakfast area; staff was very friendly and good sense of humor. Only problem I had was the eggs were cold; other than that great breakfast options.

This hotel relies on travelers needing a place to rest their head as they are driving the long distance between states. We started driving near Portland and we were heading to Los Angeles. As it approached midnight Medford seemed like the best place to stay. We are Best Western Reward members and lately we have found they have the best breakfast for the chain hotels, so we choose the Best Western. Unfortunately since this hotel apparently doesn't rely on repeat guests, the hotel isn't up to the standards we have come to expect at a Best Western. 1. There weren't enough towels in the room, and the towels are very skimpy. 2. The pillows are uncomfortable. 3. There is no comforter or bed spread. Instead there was one measly thin rough blanket with a sheet on each side of the blanket. There were no extra blankets in the room, and we prefer to use an extra blanket rather than turning on the heater. 4. Our biggest complaint was the yapping dogs next to one of our rooms. They yapped all night long, and the hotel management stated there wasn't anything they could do. Breakfast was fairly modest and there was adequate parking. The price point for this hotel is lower than some in the area, so you get what you pay for.

Great location for baseball tournaments, very nice outdoor pool, and overall great value. Location was very close to US Cellular baseball park- and kids appreciated cooling off after some hot, hot games.

I stayed at this Best Western twice 2 weeks apart. Both times the bathrooms were dirty. I reported the first time, 2nd time I didnt, why bother. The ice machine was broken. The breakfast was adequate. Front desk staff outstanding.

Hotel was clean, room spacious. Located next to a Big Bear Dinner. Not a large selection of restaurants nearby-did locate a local pub and grill .3 miles from the hotel (food was delicious). Hotel staff were friendly and polite. Bed was very comfortable. Only issue was a constant fan noise from the bathroom-no control to turn off the fan. Friends stayed on the first floor (we had room 245) and did not have the noise from the bathroom fan. Other than this one issue the hotel was a very pleasant place to stay.

This is a terrific Best Western. After treacherous driving through the pass between California and Oregon, it was lovely to arrive at a well-kept hotel. The room was immaculate, the bed was exceedingly comfortable, and the breakfast was just right. My only complaint would be that the other people who had dogs did not clean up after their pets ... that said the outside pet relief area was beautiful - in a little wooded area right next to a large creek.

We have stayed here several times. Breakfast good, close to good restaurant, easy back to freeway. Rooms always clean. Good parking, easy check-in and check-out. Hiking path close by if you want to stretch your legs.

I have stayed several times in this hotel and have found that the nearer you are to the office the noisier it can be. Being on the top floor and far from the office you get a nice quiet room. The down side is that it is a good walk to the breakfast room in the morning. Not a big deal if you have no mobility issues. Rooms are always clean and service is great.

Yesterday my Mother's Day surprise for the family and kids and was a #Staycation and rented a room just so we could use the pool and enjoy a Sunday Mothers. Rented and paid for #BestWesternhere in MEDFORD on Barnett RD. Went to check in and they said they don't rent to people who live in town. Never heard of that and I worked in the hotels in Hawaii for 20years. Way to crush a Mother's Day Staycation.

We were en route from Washington State to L.A. Ca and along the way we stayed at a couple of different Best Westerns in California and Oregon. Personnel were wonderful and the hotel was a great place to stay on the road traveling through the various cities.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times. It is consistently clean and well taken care of. The beds are comfortable, and the staff friendly . The breakfast has a good variety for everyone's taste and needs.

Office is clean and the parking was kept clean they offered coffee in the office 24/7 fresh water infused with fruit . Theirs a restaurant on the same parking nearby by stores and easy excess to Hiway and 8 minutes to the Medford airport traffic is minimal.

I stay at Best Western properties all over the west coast. This is a great property with very affordable rooms. Staff is always friendly. Only complaint is the breakfast is in a small room and doesn't have as many items as other properties. Still a good breakfast and overall the room is well worth the price.

Terrible dirty little room, carpet needed to be removed. No fan in the bathroom and thin walls. Problems with door which needed housekeeper and maintenance to let me in to the room. The final straw was forgetting my robe on the bathroom door after locking up the room and finding out it had been taken and not turned in so. Also as a dog owner I pay an extra fee to have my little dog with me and for this I'm relegated to hideous rooms. They should take a page out of a delightful little spot in Lincoln City called Looking Glass Inn that has wonderful rooms for dog owners and caters to dog owners rather than puts up and penalizes them. I stayed at many BW on this holiday and this was the worst one and experience.

This sis a basic Best Western. We found it to be clean and quite and the staff were welcoming and helpful. There is a Black Bear restaurant across the parking lot which was very convenient. Quick access to interstate 5 both. north and south bound

We've stayed at this hotel 3 times. It has always been very clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are a nice size. The breakfast room is packed with food but if you prefer a restaurant Black Bear Diner is located next door and is very good.

The staff is always very friendly and I keep coming back here for work trips. I love that the hot tub is open year round so I can relax after a long day of work. The pool is also very nice when it is open. The rooms are standard and get the job done. I like how there is a refrigerator and microwave in every room.

Everything was clean and enjoyable. I do think the dining room could be bigger and vented better but I cant really complain . We slept well on the comfortable beds, and it was relatively quiet. I would definitely come back

Desk employee argued with me when i asked to upgrade room at check in. Room was very tiny and had a bad odor. Manager rolled eyes and walked away. Very rude and unpleasant experience. Went and found much better hotel in the surrounding area.

Very nice property with easy on/off freeway. Nice pool and spa. A yummy restaurant next door. Very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfy. I used the hi speed internet and the business center un the lobby to print a few documents.

We stayed here because they accepted our voucher for a free night which we were not able to use in nearby Ashland, OR. A huge facility, full of young people here for a baseball tournament. Their noise and running around stopped by 10:00 pm though and we slept quietly. The breakfast had a good selection of items but the room was very crowded. Great location right off I-5.

The Best Western Horizon Inn in Medford provides good value for money. The rooms are large and provide all the amenities needed for a sleepover. The decor is rather bland but the rooms are functional. The location is good as it is close to the freeway. There is 1 restaurant within walking distance but most restaurants are across the highway. The breakfast is the usual hotel style freebie. Nothing exciting but it works. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioner/heater. Old style and it was difficult to set. The duvet was very thin and there were no extra blankets in the room

Reasonably priced, comfortable beds, clean rooms, great parking excellent wifi and nice looking lobby. Only negative is maybe adding a little touch to personalized guest service. I mentioned before arrival that i was having a birthday get away. At most Best Westerns that kind of notification is at least met with a "happy birthday" or something. Besides that, the stay was worth the cost.

Typical standard Best Western accommodations. Nothing extravagant, but nothing particularly disappointing, either. It's nice having the Black Bear DIner just a short walk across the parking lot - we always get a good meal at their locations. We were hoping for an exercise room with a treadmill, but desk told us it had been removed because it "didn't meet ADA requirements". Not sure what that would be, but whatever. I have a favorite AirBnB in the area I like to stay at, but it was already booked and this was OK as a substitute - would stay again if I needed a room in the area. Nice to have a hot breakfast available in the morning. (The seemingly-mandatory belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc.)

I chose this hotel for location and price, traveling with my 6yr son on a 4 day road trip I just needed a place to stay. This place surprised me! I requested an early check in (son got car sick) when I arrived into town and was surprised when they got me a room almost immediately. The room was a king room and it was very spacious! It was clean and the mini fridge was super convenient. Breakfast attendant went above and beyond for me and my son when I clearly had my hands full. After a long roadtrip, and a sick child, I was refreshingly impressed with my overall stay. Will definitely stay here again.

The parking lot is quite large and it was packed so they must be doing something right here. Located just off the I-5, it shares a parking lot with a Black Bear diner. (be sure to display your BW parking pass). The reception area was busy (dealing with a customer's wonky internet booking) but the check-in went smoothly and our requests were accommodated (thank you Robin). Our room (248) was very clean and quiet which is what we asked for. Extremely comfortable king sized bed; good wi-fi; comfortable easy chair and ottoman. Real glasses and coffee cups in the room. Breakfast was just average-no reason to leave hungry but nothing special. More of a 41/2 star rating.

We recently spent two nights here and have no complaints. The staff was friendly, the room comfortable and very clean, and our one small maintenance issue (a slow-draining sink) was addressed right away. It can be a bit noisy as it's in a busy location, and our first night we were woken up at around 4:00 a.m. by a delivery truck for the Black Bear Diner next door. It seemed that they had their back-up beep signals on forever but nothing that earplugs can't help with! Planty of parking and a decent breakfast buffet - overall, a good value.

We found this hotel to be very good. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and amenities all worked well including good wifi. The breakfast was good. I reccomend staying here.

We arrived early in the day and were greeted like friends. The booking went well and when we arrived later in the day during check-in time, our room was ready. It was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and clean. Although we could have had breakfast at the neighboring restaurant, we decided we would catch a quick breakfast offered at this property. It was one of the best continental breakfasts we've had and offered several options.. The location was excellent for our needs. We would choose this property again! Thanks!

Great place to stay! I'm from Klamath Falls. Had an appointment and traveled the day before. Great stay and great hospitality!! We were told we'd get 2 queens, instead got 2 doubles. Would be a 5/5 but the beds were too firm. It's close to I5 and in the same lot as Black Bear Diner. I always bring my service dog and he loved it! Breakfast was very good, the pet area is good and blocked from general view. Great overall! Would consider coming back!

After a VERY long drive from Vancouver , B.C., I gfinally stopped in South Medford, OR, at this HOtel, and I'm GLAD I did...and EXCELLENT place to stay! Very convenient to Highway 5, EXCELLENT staff, all round a really great experience!!

I stopped at th Best Western in Medford on business. It was a very comfortable stay. The Black Bear Restaurant adjacent was very good. I would certainly recommend this to travelers on Interstate 5. I would come again.

This was our first trip to Medford to visit family. Unfortunately it rained the 4 days of our visit but we still had a great time. This hotel is not on the higher end of the Best Western hotels but it had your basic amenities which was fine for us. The front staff are super friendly and helpful. And the cleaning staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The breakfast is simple but good. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. :)

We've been to Best Westerns in several states, and the Horizon Inn certainly was one of the best. Our room was quite spacious, spotless and well maintained. I just wish BW would provide full-sized pillows instead of those baby ones. The buffet breakfast was noteworthy, as was the professional and accommodating staff. See you next time in Medford.

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is pretty good similar to most BW hotels. We will stay here again and it is handy having the Black Bear Restaurant in the parking lot.

Was in wheelchair accessible room. 2 queen beds. One was good, the other lumpy. MMY husband had a bad nights sleep. Rug was almost bare and dirty looking. WAs have stayed here before even though it is hard to get to because of the MMedford freeway interchange. We have it a 3 because the staff are great. Even though the BW is on our travel route will probably not stay here again.

Found the staff to be very professional who also provided great service. Plenty of parking space which was also close to our room. Breakfast was not as expected for a BW property. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great access from the freeway.

We are loyal best western customers. I can usually depend on rating our stay at one of these places well. I'm afraid I can't rate this location well. First of all was the chill in our room. The heater was so noisy, that we had to turn it off which made it too cold for the thin blanket on the bed. If there were extra blankets to put over our bed, that would have solved our chill. But such was not the case. Then the clock alarm went off at 4:30 AM. It would be a good practice for housekeeping staff to check the clock alarms as part of their cleaning routine, to make sure the alarm doesn't go off for the next customers. Besides that, the clocks were never adjusted for the falling back from daylight savings time. Next, was the degree of cleanliness of the room. Not the same standard as other BWs. The toilet seat wobbled from loose screws - something that could be fixed with a little attention to maintenance. Good points: this place welcomed our dog. There was a nice pet area with doggy bags, well-maintained. The grounds were stark but clean. This is a large complex. Black bear diner is on the premises, which is a nice convenience.

We enjoyed our brief stay. Liked that we could park outside our door. Black Bear Diner in same parking lot made for a nice dinner after a long drive. Close to shopping center for any traveling needs. Nice hotel-great place to stay. A little difficult to get in and out of due to location on Main Street.

The lobby to this hotel was amazing so beautiful loved that. Our room was ok seemed like it was missing a chair in the room because there was a big old space in the room. The bed has got to go it caved in the middle not very comfortable. Hot tub wasn't working properly the first night we were there but the second night it worked fine. Breakfast was ok nothing amazing but decent. WiFi kept dropping when we were in the room. Overall would definitely stay again.

This motel really does understand fur parents. Has a special pet area, pets are all booked one end of motel. They brought me an extra sheet for scared 6 month puppy first time away from home so could snuggle with "Mom", told me about dog park nearby. Addtionally, rooms are clean and motel quite well kept, not at all your "rundown we accept anyone" motel. Staff extra friendly, room rate quite reasonable (esp. since was there for a 4 day dog show and was very busy.)

This motel is becoming more and more outdated. The rooms need to be updated. They are okay but not what you are paying for. The tile must be 10-20 years old. The mattress needed to be updated too. We have stayed in Best Westerns this whole trip so far. We paid 10 dollars more for this one than last night and it just was not up to par. Breakfast was not up to par. It was a crowded room about half the size needed for this large motel. Everybody was in the way of everyone else. NO POTATOES of any kind! Two dishes with meat, but we don't eat meat. The gravy would have been great but you put meat in it too. No whipped cream for the waffles. Not much variety. Bananas were soft and almost rotten. No microwave in the breakfast area. Butter was like eating rocks. We will skip this SoSo Western Motel as it was not the Best Western. To Best Western Horizon management/owners--- Other Best Westerns are making you look bad because you have earned it and they are doing it at less cost than you are. It is time for you to upgrade the rooms and the breakfast.

Beautiful Best Western.Really appreciated that we could drive up to rooms, makes unpacking easier. We found some very good places to eat nearby. This is the place to stay if you are traveling through. Great rooms and great staff.

The property is convenient to I-5 and is very well cared for. The building is attractive and the grounds are kept in good shape. The staff members were responsive and friendly. The breakfast offered many tasty items and the staff were helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The cost was reasonable for this kind of property.

Very nice stay. Parking lot is limited because shared with restaurant and you can't park in the restaurant spaces or risk being towed. Hotel parking spaces are small. Not optimal for lg pickup trucks.

The accommodations were very good but I was most impressed with 2 things. The customer service was excellent. The clerk actually called my room about 2 hours after check in to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Everything was good but at most hotels you have to track people down if you have any concerns. Also, the breakfast facilities were great. They have a separate room instead of just a corner of the lobby and had a large selection to choose from.

After a long day of sightseeing checked in here. The room was clean. Check-in was a breeze. Attendants were personable. The room was good sized. The lot was clean and well lit. I traveled with a pet. The room had no odor. We were assigned to a room near pet relief area which was great. The pool was heated and very clean. The hot tub was hot, clean and secluded Towels were staged in both areas, which was nice. The location is good. Breakfast was ok. The attendant in charge of the area kept the breakfast area stocked and clean.

When my folks and I were staying at the Best Western Herizon Inn the toilet water level rose up to when we would use the restroom, we would get a nasty surprise!!!! And also the second night that we were supposed to be spending the night there, there was a lady whom they gave a key to the room we were in and took us by surprise and called us right when we were trying to get back to sleep saying they didn't have us down for 2 night when my Mom in a clear voice and I'm a eyewitness to my Mom clearly saying that we would like to spend two nights at the Best Western Herizon Inn!!!! Not happy with their services!!!!

The breakfast bar was the best of all of the hotels I stayed in during the last 2 weeks. The bed was comfortable and the price was fair. I set off the fire alarm with the steam from my shower which posed a small problem but it shut off after a few moments. this place is due for a remodeling I think.

This hotel was one of the most clean comfortable quiet motels I've stayed in at Medford and I've stayed in many of the Medford hotels. I found the room spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is big and tasty for those kind of deals. It was also convenient to Black Bear Diner if you wanted to eat there. It is a little bit awkward to get there from the exit - you end up having to do a u-turn but it wasn't really too bad. I've stayed in many motels in Medford and I usually go for the cheapest one I can find but I might start paying the few extra bucks to stay here for now on. Quite an upgrade for comfort and just feeling safer then I get in the other cheaper places downtown.

My previous review of this location was May 2016. Once again we loved this location and amenities. Fantastic shower, comfy King bed, large, clean room, and nice staff. There is a Black Bear diner across the parking lot. We ordered dinner to go and ate in our room after a long day of driving. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Amazing selection of food to choose from.

worst best western ever coffee maker was so dirty it almost made me sick, black human hairs in the tub on the toilet. Wet spots on the floor??? whos to say. Rigs running at 4am like 7 of them for like a hour then to top it off all the back up alarms on those trucks was to much. People up running around tell midnight. I was there for two nights and got hardly any sleep

I've stayed here many times. It's clean and reasonably priced. The shower pressure was inconsistent. The bed was a little soft for my taste. Overall, decent experience. It's close to Ashland and usually less expensive

We had made reservations here few weeks in advance, but when the Carr wildland fire struck Redding, and our wildland firefighter son-in-law said the fire crews were being housed at the BW Horizon, I called to see if the reservation would be able to be honored. "Of course", was the reply, "We are looking forward to seeing you." The inn was full to the brim with firefighters, utility crews, refugees from the fires, and us. Despite the hectic nature of things, we experienced the same level of comfort and care that we had on previous stays. The dogs love this place, because there is a leash-free dog park just across the street. On a more negative note, Medford (or "Meth-ford" as the locals name it), is becoming overrun with druggies, tweakers, and homeless. At the dog park, as the sun was setting, several chronically homeless individuals were already setting up camp for the night. The park itself was littered with trash, including some abandoned drug paraphernalia. Be advised.

Great location, and a large, pleasant room. Everything in our room was clean, smelled fresh, and worked—including the curtains. Excellent lighting. Artwork in the room was pleasant. Wifi worked well. Even though it is near I-5, it was very quiet at night. The breakfast was very good, and, even though it was very busy, the breakfast room was spotless, with the attendant cleaning things up as quickly as people could mess it up. It has a great, ample parking lot, even with buses and trailers hogging space. Staff was friendly and helpful. The ONLY concern I had was that there were no grab bars for the bathtub/shower, and I was worried about tripping getting in and out of the tub. We were there for a family wedding, and everyone in the group had similar great experiences.

We had to book this hotel last minute as we were on a trip to California and with the Delta fire, and getting a late start leaving Salem, OR, we wanted to get some rest and figure out what routes to California would be open in the morning. The front desk was friendly, professional and got us a room in minutes, The next day when I came to ask the location of the breakfast, as well as any news of the fire, a different employee was also very nice and professional. We would stay here again if need be and felt we got good value for our money.

Great hotel with an outstanding crew working the property. Very easy on and off the 5. Food and shopping close by! Clean rooms, great internet and a quality breakfast! Quiet with ample parking! Highly recommended!

99.9% of all stays at Best Westerns are wonderful! This hotel is among them!! Very clean and well kept. Staff is friendly and makes it clear that they want you to be satisfied. The bed and pillows are comfy and smell great!!! It's nice that Black Bear restaurant is right across the parking lot! Yes, it's an older hotel. But we find the older ones are quieter because of the thicker walls. Yes, we'd stay again??

Best Western Horizon Inn offers spacious rooms and pleasant night stay. The room has a microwave and a refrigerator with a microwave. We had a pleasant sleep in the room. Even though we enjoyed our stay, our door lock did not work. We reported the door problem to housekeeping. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room was little small.

Was very impressed with the decor, the room was quite large and bathroom spotless with toiletries by bath and body works. The pool and hot tub were very clean , and the breakfast was of a good standard.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is refreshing for the kids even at night. The breakfast has plenty to choose from and is always fresh and being replenished. We always enjoy the stay here in Medford.

Fortunately I get to travel through Medford at least once per year. When I want a place to stay, this Best Western is always my choice (would be even though I do have a Rewards Card). Easy access and egress; pleasant and helpful staff; comfortable beds; plenty of rooms; totally enjoyable pool and hot tub; morning breakfast; Black Bear Diner easily accessible; what more could you want.

Business trip, stayed close to work site. Adequate facilities, prices higher than per diem. Parking is kind of tricky, restaurant in parking lot will have you towed if you're in one of their spots. At least the motel has it posted on the entry. I've always liked this location but it is getting dated and the prices are still going up.

We stayed here for only one night but this is a very nice hotel The hotel room was clean well kept and plenty of room for the three of us The free breakfast was good and plenty of food good variety and tasty The pool was wonderful and warm our granddaughter loved it and was in for hours.... Black Bear diner is in the same parking lot and good as always No negatives for this hotel we recommend

Good location. Easy to find off of I5. Great restaurant next door - Black Bear Diner. The king bed was very comfortable and had a good nights rest. Would stay here again at a future time. Very quiet location.

The hotel is convenient to the freeway, and right next to a family style restaurant. Room was large and clean, staff very good. The pool looked nice, although we did not use it. Breakfast is adequate, with sausage, eggs, biscuits, waffles, cereal on offer. WiFi is good quality, password protected.

The Property has good curb appeal. The grounds are well maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable and adequately supplied with personal items . The internet is quick and reliable. The pool and spa area are nicely maintained

Came to Medford from the Portland area to go to a Barnstormers Event at the fair grounds. It was easily accessible from the freeway, check in was super quick along with check out. Beds looked inviting to just fall on and turn on the air conditioning to relax for a while and cool off from the heat. The pool was very nice, water temp was perfect and they had pool toys for the kids to use which was wonderful.

I have driven through Medford many times, and am always searching for a place that's easy to find, affordable, and clean and quiet. Finally found it! Check in and check out were easy, and everyone was super friendly. I also appreciated the good meal next door (The Black Bear Diner). I'll definitely stay here again!

Beds were rock hard and big bugs in room and when mentioned to the front office they said that was to be expected. Was not impressed with anything ab out this hotel and stay will not recommend to anyone

We have to travel for medical purposes so we are already stressed. On our first trip we stayed in Choice hotels and the experience was so bad we changed back to Best Western. Our experience in Medford showed us the extra $$ (Not so much more) was so worth the change. Will always use BW in the future. They are clean, comfortable and friendly. Food extra good and hot meal.

Thank you for letting our softball team of 13-14 yr olds stay. The pool and hot tub was amazing. The service was fantastic. The breakfast was nice and the time it was open was great. How ever the showers were a disaster. The water would go from cold to extremely hot. It burned some of our girls really bad. We did tell maintenance and they couldn't do anything about it. The showers made this offal noise like a really loud screeching noise made it hard to even shower because of your not getting burned or froze your ears are gonna burst. Their pipes need up dated for sure. Other then that the stay was amazing.

This is an old fashioned drive-up motel, which I really like. We had two king rooms with great comfy beds, clean bathrooms, and efficient air conditioning. We could get bagels, waffles, cereal and yogurt for breakfast, and the scrambled eggs were really good. There are no safety deposit boxes in rooms, which would have been good, but the staff at the reception desk stored our valuables for us. We didn't try the diner nearby, but explored several local restauarants, and enjoyed them all. The outdoor pool was a real bonus.

We stayed here 1 night. Arrived late, left early so we did not spend much time at the property. Breakfast was very well stocked, lots of options and plenty of seating. This hotel is more of a "motel", exterior corridor, two floors (I did not see an elevator). We had a good night sleep, air conditioning worked well. The rooms could use a little updating but otherwise we did have a good stay. Check In/Check Out process was very quick. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband is 100% service-related disabled veteran. Has problem with his lungs and heart. We came to Medford for an overnight stay unaware of the terrible smoke because of area fires. We arrived at hotel at 1:30pm and I asked for an early check-in because my husband was not feeling well. We had planned to take a walk in one of the parks, but could not because of smoke. We were told there would no rooms available until 3pm. That's when they guarantee that rooms will be ready. Apparently housekeeping staff gets all rooms done at the same time. I tried to explain how the smoke was making my husband sick. No one cared. After we were able to check-in we went to our room. Only 4 very small pillows on the bed and the air conditioning was not working properly. We could not sleep that night and left early the next morning. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is totally uncaring.

Staff was courteous and helpful. We had a comfortable stay while enjoying the pool and wonderful breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable and a great location for our short visit to Medford.

Booked this motel due to the lack of availability of doggie friendly hotel rooms in Ashland, and we were pleased with the choice. The room was ample in size, the air conditioner worked perfectly, everything was in good working order, and the room was scrupulously clean. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept very well. The breakfast offerings were ample and well presented. What more do you want? We'll definitely stay here again.

After a day of driving it was a great place to stop. Typically we avoid the Medford area because of hotel costs there but this was a great price. Room was clean and the Black Bear Diner across the parking lot was a plus and dinner was excellent. Breakfast at the hotel was your typical continental breakfast. The shower went from extremely cold to extremely hot so that can be an issue, however filling the tub was not a problem since you could fill before getting in it, this controlling the temperature.

Very Nice pool and hot tub. The stock photos show the pool in the parking lot, which it is, but it is surrounded with nice landscaping and lounge areas, shaded and sunny areas. Clean. Good location. Breakfast is so-so, however there is a restaurant that shares the parking lot if you want a better breakfast.

The front desk staff is on-top of the needs of their guests. I felt they would be able to assist me with any request I could possible imagine. I requested an early check-in, got it. I requested a late check-out, got it. I needed an extra hair dryer, got it. Also, the maintenance staff was competent, so happy and friendly. And my room, of course, was perfect.

This hotel is easy-access to Interstate 5, not directly on the highway so noise level is low. The service at the front desk was very cordial and informative. They explained everything about the hotel and the amenities and the Wifi passcode and the parking and how to find our room...Exceptional service. The room was very comfortable and clean with blackout curtains. The air conditioner was super quiet, the furnishings were current trend, the bed was comfy, the bathroom had plenty of towels and sundries, adequate size flat screen TV with many choices of channels, the room location was quiet, the guests were quiet and respectful. Didn't use the pool, but observed an inviting, relaxing atmosphere, nicely landscaped, many chairs and tables to relax. Breakfast was standard-affair for a Best Western. Would not recommend the Black Bear Diner next door.

We stay at several hotels in the year and this one was on the average side. The employees checking us in were pleasant. It was very clean and we also got in earlier than expected but still got in our room. Which was great. We thought it would be loud but it was pretty quiet. We had asked for a king room but ended up with two queens. Not a big deal though.

The room was clean otherwise OK, but this was not my best experience at a Best Western. I had asked for a room near the office/lobby and was placed in a room near the pool - almost the farthest room from the lobby that there is. When I remarked on it, there was no offer to change the location, only a comment that at least it wasn't across the parking lot. The bed was too soft and the soap products and towels smelled like unsmoked tobacco to me. Also, the was a significant gap between the door and door frame which made me uncomfortable. Dust, bugs, heat and sunlight can all get in through these gaps. This hotel is also south of town and pretty difficult to find/drive to.

Stayed in room 169, once I walked in the stale smoke smell hit me like a ton of bricks, my husband didn't notice it much. I called the front desk to see if I accidentally chose a smoking room, I was told that it used to be a smoking room over a year ago! The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the service friendly, but that stale smoke smell is awful! The carpet and curtains need to be ripped out and replaced and the walls painted to get rid of the smell

Check-in is horrendously late: 3pm. If you're traveling by car and planned on unloading your things, or getting kids ready before spending time in town, you'll be disappointed. Other guests smoking Right outside thier rooms, and rooms are sealed enough to keep it out. Breakfast area was cramped, had to eat in room, eggs seriously undercooked.

The moment we entered the lobby, the staff made us feel appreciated, They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Room was well appointed and spacious enough. Noise level was low and not bothersome. This motel is two floors with outside walk ways, so if you have trouble going up stairs you should request first floor.

Hotel is located in a convenient area but not too close to the highway so as to hear noise.Thanks to quiet neighbors I could actually sleep. The bed was very comfortable. I paid extra to have my 2 dogs with me. Some hotels provide an extra dog sheet to cover the linens, but this one did not, nor did they provide a bowl, but of course I had my own so that was not a problem. They did have a very nice area to let them walk around in. I just wish that everyone who has a pet would clean up after them. Especially when the management provides green baggies and disposal units.

The location is awesome for baseball at US Cellular Field. The fact there is a Black Bear Diner nearby is awesome as well. I have stayed here a couple of times and I will stay here again. I am a big fan of BW and all they offer for families. This hotel has some family suites that are perfect for a small family.

The room was very nice, clean and quiet. The breakfast was hot and very good. We always have a nice stay here in Medford. This has been our third time. We also like it being pet friendly send we have a little one.

Very good place for a stopover with a Black Bear Diner on site. Unit is well insulated from the surrounding highway noise. This is a good location to use as home base for activities in southern Oregon.

Newly renovated rooms, very helpful staff. Didn't think much of the adjacent Black Bear Diner. No other customers but took forever to get served and the wait staff had to be coached (by me) on how to prepare two takeaway desserts.

The property was a bit dated and the furnishings not all that great, but for the money spent, I have no complaints. It was clean, they gave us three large bath towels which I liked, the staff was friendly and efficient, and everything in the room worked.

We have stayed at this BW as a halfway stop in our travel to and from Sacramento, CA to Battleground, WA. It is almost exactly halfway b/w the two locations. It is an easy location to access just off the freeway and an easy access back to Interstate 5.

I travel for buisness frequently and unfortunately hotels have become a second home to me. Everytime I come to this city, this hotel never disappoints me. Clean, safe, comfortable and friendly. What more could you want?

this hotel is our half way point and we have stayed there many times. Great staff, very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are always very clean and it is convenient to the freeway. There is a Big Bear Diner on the property which makes it nice when you just don't feel like getting back in the car and having to drive again.

Located right off the I-5, this property is quite old and in need of some love in the way of renovations! The rooms are very basic! The swimming pool is seasonal! The highlight of the stay was breakfast! Everything was hot and tasty!

the people standing out of there doors smoking come in my air unit. the rule is no smoking but provide ash trays at the room doors is not helping. Butts are all over the place and stink my room up with smoke coming in my air unit

This is the second or third time we have stayed here. They are very consistent. They accept our pets. They have a nice area to walk pets and even poop baggies and trash available. There is a dog park across the street and also a walking path starts right next to the hotel. I like they have real coffee cups in the rooms not so much waste. Everything is always clean and we like being able to have breakfast to start our day.

I have stayed at this motel quite a few times over the past years and have always been pleased with the staff and property. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. Their continental breakfast is better than I have experienced in moderately priced properties such as this BW.

Repeat guest at this Best Western. Clean rooms, clean property, always treated great here. Easy access to freeway, close to shopping and restaurants. Very nice hotel, with a good layout. Location was right next to Black Bear Diner, so dinner was obvious. Roll-away was perfect, and even though the jacuzzi was next to our room, we didn't hear it. In the morning, breakfast was a bit cramped. They use a seperate room instead of opening it up from the lobby. Try to not take up a table for 4 if you are a party of 2. All the hot foods you come to expect are at the breakfast, which is why it is so popular. Super fast check out, over all very happy.

We have stayed here on prior occasions. It's clean, and quiet and the staff are very nice. The breakfast is the typical hotel fare and there is plenty of food. We did have a little problem with the drain in the shower as it was very slow to drain. We reported it to the front desk the next morning and they thanked us for reporting it.

This is a very nice place to stay. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. I have to say that breakfast was really very good with a good selection of food. Didn't hear my neighbors as the walls seem to be fairly soundproof.

We always stay at the Best Western Horizon when traveling from Seattle to California. We enjoy the location near the freeway access, the free breakfast and dinner at the Black Bear. It is very simple to get back onto the freeway the next morning.

We were on our way to the California coast and we wanted a great place to stay on the way! The beds are great and so was the breakfast! The room was big and we were very happy with our stay! The people at the front desk did an excellent job!

The location was perfect for our stopover to San Francisco. I usually look for BW since I'm part of their rewards program. This particular one is more of a "motel-style" w/doors that open to the parking area. With this being the case, it's noisy, especially on the bottom floor, by the stairs that others use to access the 2nd floor. It's a busy hotel & the parking area is shared with the Black Bear Diner, so lots of traffic! The Breakfast was great & the woman working in the Breakfast Area worked very hard restocking items as they emptied. The room was clean, but again, noisy. The beds were too soft for my liking.

Best Western Horizon Inn is my go to in Medford,OR. Always great staff, rooms are clean, attractive and comfortable. Pillows are wonderful, everything you need. Close to the interstate. Restaurant right next door.

everything here was as should be expected. Clean rooms, not over priced and OK comfort on the bed. Not a luxury hotel and not a dive. This is a good middle of the road place to stay. Pool was closed but the weather was still questionable outside, the convenience of the diner next door is nice.

Room was dirty and toilet did not work at all as it was stuffed. Blood stains on outside of balcony leading to the parking lot. Hotel needs to be renovated to keep up with best western standard. Made the booking based on the Hotel chain name. Will not do that again. Wife was not happy with my blind booking.

We were on the last night of our way home and just needed a place to sleep. Clean and comfortable and the Black Bear in the parking lot made an easy choice for dinner. Nothing really wrong here. Bathroom was pretty small. I would return if in Medford again.

We were traveling through Oregon and decided to call it a day. I was able to quickly book this hotel on my phone and it's lucky I did because they were filling up quickly. The front desk clerk was very friendly and professional. The room was comfortable and clean but a little utilitarian. My only complaint, and this is VERY minor, was the breakfast. It was sufficient but could have been a little more creative. Maybe offer some cheese or salsa with the eggs, a better fruit selection, etc. I've stayed at a Best Western that had little omelets that you could fill with your choice of toppings! The pool area looked nice and inviting but we didn't get a chance to take advantage of it. I would definitely stay here again if traveling through and the price was right!

I received an email informing me I earned a free stay. When attempting to book the room, I encountered endless problems. Called the hotel and was informed they had plenty of rooms available, until I said I had points for a free room. Suddenly no rooms were available. Asked if I could speak to a manager. Was told she was out till 1/2. Asked for the district manager and or the owner. After a brief hold, a manager was on the phone. I told her I was a LOCAL wanting a night away. She then told me to book with 1800 western. Called the 1800 number. Same run around. Asked for the agent to call the local motel and work it out. Thought I had satisfaction. Until I showed up. Not only was I told it was booked under a cash payment, I was refused service, as they do not book to locals. The man behind the counter ( name unknown. Long unprofessional hair, and a horrible attitude) asked if I had ID that had a address was not local. If I had an ID that was not valid and or expired he would of given me the room? I understand each location has rules. I should of been notified on the FIRST call. I made 7 calls attempting to book this room. Only to show up to deal with a yahoo behind the counter. Who lacks any sort of professionalism, let alone customer service. His attitude was dismissive, and rude. I would never ever recommend this motel. I strongly suggest the silly and unneeded rules are explained every single call. I suggest some major hospitality training happens immediately. Zero stars.

Good location just off the I-5 but not noisy except for my neighbours. Walls are very thin. Nice touch of a well planned dog walking area with doggie bags. Front desk staff were very pleasant. Bright and clean breakfast room with an excellent selection of plentiful hot and cold items. Lots of construction workers staying here that fire up their trucks at 5:30 so I did not need an alarm clock!

Handicap room shower a mosh pit we even sprayed shower water in the waste basket. Safety bars everywhere. A good thing. Room 150 is ok if you are wheel chair bound. We are not quite there yet. We will return.

I can always count on this place to give me a clean, comfortable, safe feeling stay. I was really impressed with the breakfast this stay. In the Summer, the swimming pool is enjoyed and during the winter, I enjoy the Hot Tub.

we could stay at a number of surrounding motels/hotels in area, but feel comfortable here. We have two service dogs that also like this place. We have medical appointments in area regularly in this area close to Assante that works for us

We were making a trip to Portland and we stopped here up and back from our trip. It was a great place to stay. The Front Desjk staff was very caring to our needs. The Breakfast is outstanding and the ladies who take of this area are very hospitable.

I always stay at this Best Western when traveling to the Seattle area. It is always clean inside along with the parking area and office. There is also the Black Bear Diner that you can walk to. We usually bring our dog. The pet area is very clean and the guest rooms do not have a pet smell.

I usually love this hotel and staff as they go out of their way to welcome you and help you with anything that you would need. I stayed here on my trip coming and going, but coming, the staff member told me that my reservation was canceled. I made the reservation myself online and also called to ensure that I could get a Non-Pet friendly room. The staff member not only told me that it was canceled but wanted me to prove it and was beyond rude. Finally after a long time, he was able to give me a room that was Non-pet friendly and yes I love animals, just cant breathe if they have been in the room.

Made a reservation to stay at this Best Western for a overnight stay before medical procedure at Rouge Valley Hospital. We live in Klamath Falls and did not want to drive to me there at 5:30 in the morning. Staff and accommodations were wonderful, pet site was very nice. We were there during Thanksgiving, packed hotel. I think it was very nice. It was raining and I was able to walk my dog without getting wet. Very nice stay. Great location, close to everything we needed. Will stay there again. Thank you.

Courteous staff and great rooms!!! The location of the hotel is close to the freeway, shopping and many other places to eat. In addition, it is not some place where you will have to worry about leaving your car or belongings. It appears to be very safe environment.

This is a typical Best Western. The rooms are quiet and clean and, of course, a great breakfast. My only comment is about the pet area. It is small but nicely laid out with trails, bushes and trees. At night it is totally dark however and you can't see if there are other dogs in the area. Two large dogs were startled by my little one and began to attack before the owner got them under control. If there had been lighting we would not have had that issue.

Overall nice place, staff, breakfast. Room amenities are not up to par. The light switch to the ceiling light controls the plug by the bed. No charging phones, using equipment unless you either sleep with the light on, or unscrew the bulbs!

We drive through at least once a year to visit family in Calif and typically stay in Roseburg. Now we will take a little more time and make it to Medford to stay at the Horizon Inn. With the Black Bear Diner out front it's the perfect spot for an over night break. We won't need to worry about what we will find when we get there

We were traveling to Oregon Coast and only stayed one night in Medford hotel. Everything was perfect the room was great and the breakfast was fantastic. We got up early and headed out right away. There was no wait for breakfast.

My husband and I were attending Shakespere Festival in Ashland, Oregon. Usually we stay at Best Western there but they were all filled up. It is a wonderful property. We booked Best Western in Medford and when we checked in I thought it looked like a pretty good place. Boy! was I wrong. The first room we checked into just looked wrong, some thing made me pull down the sheets and I saw black hairs on the sheets and pillows as well as stains. I rang the desk from the room and told them to send someone up immediately to see what I saw. Sure enough the person came and agreed with me that a hotel bed with stains and black hairs was not suitable. They send me to a second room...same thing. I rang down and they directed me to another room...same thing. This is literally not possible or acceptable. Today, 4 months later, I read the reviews on this hotel and find that other people have encountered the same situation with bugs, stains and black hairs in the bedding. We booked another room at another hotel chain. It was a horrible experience and BW needs to dump this property and get its name off it!!! I just want to make anybody reading this review, keep going, find another place.

Nice hotel in a quiet little spot i have never been. Medford is a cool little town. This hotel is right of I 5 which is something I always look for. Close to a ton of restaurants as well. Did not get a chance to get the complimentary breakfast. Beds were quite comfortable, and quiet spot also. The only thing I would like is a bigger tv. Just a personal preference

This is a great, clean, comfortable hotel when you are traveling. Next to a Black Bear Diner, so food is available and it is great food! I was there with my wife on a business trip and we were tired. The staff was great, the hotel is clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a nice night's sleep and a warm shower!

I would recommend the Medford Best Western as a great place to stay. The desk clerks were very helpful and friendly at check in and check out. We needed help with our luggage and the maintenance gentleman offered to help us even though he was ready to end his shift. The room was very clean and the outside area was nicely kept.

I was only there one night but was clean and comfortable. I left before breakfast so I can not comment on that. It was a clean, quite and safe place to stay. Nearby dining within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. Easy freeway access.

Old motel. I should have known better than to stay, but I was trying to be lower maintenance. The noise of guests dragging bags down the stairs, mildew on the rubber bath mat, really uncomfortable beds and an old, desperately sad room trying to be something its not. Bare minimum breakfast in a dreary room. Admittedly, we stayed 2 nights, so it wasn't uninhabitable. But we're so close to free nights, being a reward member, that I stayed. But we left on the second day and my high & low maintenance met in the middle at a nice and affordable inn, where one might holiday.

First, let me say that the staff is AMAZING! They are super nice and very welcoming! Hubby and I were in town for one night and the price we got..100 was very doable. There were just a few things that I wish had been better. We had little ants in the bathroom, which I will take over other bugs, but still kind of put me off. And the bathrooms could use a fan. Other than that...the room was clean! The noise outside can get a bit loud, between people walking by the room and cars going by. And the walls are kind of thin..I could hear the conversation in the room next to us. Other than that..It was a good room for one night!

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Internet works well. Have stayed here before and will stay here again. Don't forget that Oregon doesn't allow U-turns on its streets, which can make leaving the hotel a little interesting.

We had a great stay at this hotel. We got a smoking accessible room which was very beneficial for my husband. The only issue we had was the bathroom was not very accessible for a wheelchair user that has limited control with their legs. Other than this the room was great.

we were visiting Medford to attend the LDS temple in the area. we had arrived late and the staff was able to get us into our room right away. they were able to accommodate my request for a roll away bed in our suite. the room was good enough and the bed was ok.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times on my way up and down the 5 freeway. it's a great location for visiting southern Oregon, Crater Lake, or just a stop along the way to locations farther north or south on the 5. Clean, comfortable rooms. Quiet location, friendly and helpful staff.

The exterior of the motel is very nice. We had a room with 2 queen beds, it was tight with the 2 beds. The room furniture looked a little dated but the beds are very comfortable and it was very clean. The breakfast is scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit and breads, not bad but not exceptional.

We traveled with our adult son, this king suite had a living room sofa bed for our son separated by a door. There were no closets in the bedroom but it was large. Price was $160 including taxes for one night, which was a good deal.

Very nice stay. Very nice & helpful in every way. I asked for a ground room close to the ice machine as I drink a lot of ice water & no problem getting it. I always stay there wen I have Dr's appointments. I feel comfortable there also.

Over all this hotel is nice. The decor is slightly dated and the rooms need updating but it is clean , the staff is nice , and the pool area is decorated nicely with flowers. They have a large breakfast selection compared to most hotels but the breakfast room is very small and gets crowded so be prepared to sit outside on the outdoor table seating. All in all a pleasant experience

The Best Western Hotel is very clean and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff is very efficient, competent, and friendly ~ all at the same time, no less. The room prices are very reasonable and affordable. The rooms where we stayed were quiet ~ no upstair noise or next door noise or road noise.

Nice , clean , friendly , good breakfast , good location , Black Bear Restaurant next door. When we travel we always stay with Best Western , appreciate the Micro Wave and refrigerator in the room , quiet and restful .

The hotel is very handy to all of the people and places we needed to see. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was neat and tidy and quite large. The hot breakfast was also good and filling.

I always try to stay at Best Western because they are always consistent. They are clean rooms, the staff is always helpful, the internet always works and the breakfast in the morning is good and helps save me time.

I arrived after a long night of flying then several hours on I-5...to get some rest for the next day's drive. The entire hotel encircles the pool. Unfortunately from about 3pm until 10:15pm there was a large group of kids and their parents at the pool very literally yelling and screaming at the tops of their little lungs. I have no problem with normal motel noise...nor with kids playing...but this was really bad. It was like having your room on a platform over a playground...a very loud playground. I switched rooms to the "pet" rooms which helped a little as they're a little further away. The fellow up front who helped me with this suggested that they couldn't control every little "peep." I was kind and diplomatic...not rude. "Peeps" don't bother me...but yelling and screaming until 10:15pm do. They were yelling as loud as they could around the pool...yelling up to their friends in their rooms, etc.... I'll keep driving to Yreka and stay at the Holiday Inn there on my next trip down I-5.

A Good place to stay,clean and functional. Close to short way to Boise Idaho and close to university.Across the street is a nice Coffee Kiosk that sits on the parking lot of a terrible auto repair place no joke

Older, clean Best Western in Medford. Room are fine and my bed was comfortable. Amenities include a small refrigerator, small microwave and a nice workspace. Although it is old they have maintained the property well and it was clean and comfortable. Lots of free parking and a Black Bear restaurant in the parking lot. Very friendly staff both at check-in and during the stay. Breakfast was pretty average - wasn't impressed although they have waffles, eggs and sausage which I appreciate their is no fruit beyond bananas and one style of yogurt. I've seen much better BW breakfast, selections but being included I will add that it's good for free. On a side note, the coffee was bad - in the NW that usually hard to say, but it really isn't a very good product but it did keep me to just 1 cup. If you like to sleep in, this is not the spot unless you can sleep through a very high noise level from the adjoining rooms - and not like talking noise, just the water pipes and the doors slamming early in the morning. It was a very good value and positive overall experience. They do a nice job here and I would stay again for an overnight visit.

The room as big and clean, nice bathroom too. The bed was rock hard, we asked several times for extra pillows, but never got them. There is a pool and Jaccuzi, and the breakfast was OK, the usual. eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, toast, etc... Dogs are allowed, the doggy area is not lite at night, so bring a flash light.

Excellent hotel, excellent service, excellent value. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again when I am traveling anywhere near Medford. It was a great experience that I will look forward to repeating. The beautiful breakfast area was a treat.

We travel up and down I 5 a lot in retirement and discovered this Best Western as a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and wellcared for. Fridge and Microwave in rooms, super comfy bed and a very nice breakfast. Just a short walk away is a Black Bear Diner and so nice not to have to climb back in car.

Everyone was so nice to me and very helpfull when I forgot my favorite pillow. Came back and one young man left his desk to run around until he found it. Thank you all for a wo derful stay. Also a very nice area for my dogs.

Very nice place large room. fridge and micro bed good. lots of electrical outlets. Nice pool separate hot tub. Good greeting and sign in. Location is good right off the freeway area and next to the Black Bear Dinner. Breakfast was ok

I love Best Western because they allow my little dog. I like that the sink is outside the bathroom. The only thing is I like tile or a washable floor instead of carpet. Carpet to me holds dirt and germs. Carpet gets stained and makes me feel like its dirty. Especially with other dogs staying in the same room as we did. I'm thinking carpet could hold fleas too. Just sayn.

This is a nice clean property with friendly, professional staff. The breakfast is quite good and the value is excellent. This property is conveniently located near I-5 with easy access both north and south.

Over all our stay was good. The only thing was the Breakfast Room Staff was not friendly and one of them was very unsanitary. We would consider staying there again if we are going that way again. We may not take advantage of the breakfast room if the same woman is working there.

This Best Western is your typical Best Western you find anywhere you go. What's nice about this one is across the parking lot is Black Bear Diner. Very convenient! As for the room, all King beds were taken so we got a room with 2 queen beds. One bed had the canyon effect on the mattress so when you tried to sleep on the edge you would roll to the center. Not very comfortable. The other bed was fine. The rest of the room was fine. As for the breakfast, the scrambled eggs tasted as if it was the powdered type, the sausage was brown and serve that could have used more browning. At least the coffee, yogurt, bagels, etc. were good. The breakfast room is small and you will need your room key to enter. The folks manning the front desk are very friendly and helpful.

I have used this particular Best Western for the last 4 years. The standards and quality have always remained high. They are wonderfully pet friendly and have recommended them to my many dog show friends. The staff is the best, keep up the good work. Thank you

Did not expect the service we received due to problems others had told us about in Medford, Or. Hotel was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast better than expected. Checked out at an early time and staff helped when asked for a receipt.

Booked this Best Western in Medford as it was in the area we were visiting. Got a room that we request on the upper level. Got all unpacked and started finding things that were wrong in the hotel. The list is as follows: our telephone didn't work; one of the electrical plugs on the desk lamp didn't work and the toilet flapper was defective so the toilet ran; and we had noisy neighbors that we could hear through the walls like they were in our room. Contacted the front desk about the toilet and the phone and while we were out for dinner they repaired those. The plug we didn't realize didn't work until the second morning when we realized that our phone did charge. The my husband had an unpleasant experience while using the toilet in the morning. The toilet got plugged when he finished going and we couldn't flush the toilet again as it would have overflowed. My husband called the front desk and they said the maintenance man would be there, but first he had to go get his radio. About a half hour late he came to our room but without a plunger. So he had to go get that. He came back and unplugged the toilet and said he would repair the flapper on the toilet after we checked out. So sorry that we got a room where there were several things that didn't work at all or properly. This wasn't the best stay. Realized that this is a long holiday weekend, but in our opinion management should check all of the room to make sure that everything is working properly so guests don't have to keep calling the front desk. Also it would be nice if guests would keep quiet after a certain hour as there are people who had to get up early and with their voices carrying through the walls it doesn't help with a good night sleep. We won't be staying at this hotel again. It seems to me that if the hotel is just the low level of Best Western and not a Plus or Premier that you kind of run into the same problem. We had a similar experience at a BW in Valencia, CA. Hope that this review helps others and that the management will take note. On a good note the front desk people were top notch and the maintenance man that came to our room was very pleasant helped us out right away.

Staff was great. Rooms could stand a revamp. Furniture old, worn and needs to be updated. Bed not bad, not good. At least the room was clean. The lobby appeared to have new furniture, but not inviting, just kinda blah. But the price WAS fair.

We count on certain businesses when we are in unfamiliar territory. BW is one of them. When I am out travelling with the princess we don't want to gamble with our comfort, and we don't want to drop a ton of money. BW is often the answer.

Very comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful in regards to a predicament we had while traveling that we needed to get resolved. Internet access was good, and we close to the office, so do not know if that is true further back on the property. Two items to set luggage on was helpful since we each had a bag with us.

This Best Western is not ADA compatible. When I booked my room I spoke with Bryan to request a ADA room for my husband, and was told we had one lacked in. When we went to check in was told I never requested a ADA room and the best they could do was put us on the first floor. We were stuck and had to take it. The room was nice (bed a little too soft - but that is a personal preference). During the night my husband went to use the restroom and he was not able to use his walker to get in the restroom as the door was to narrow, so he thought he could turn around and back in the restroom using his walker to hang on to, but the toilet was too far away to do this. He had to come back out, put his leg on and then go to the restroom. All rooms on the first floor had a good 2-3 inch slope to get in the rooms. We have stayed at many Best Westerns and then did not compare to past experiences.

Breakfast is good. The pet friendly room had a strong pet urine odor. The tub did not drain well. There is a dearth of parking for travelers with trailers. Most of the parking is for Black Bear restaurant. Do not to park in their spaces or you will be towed.

We need to go to Medford on a regular basis to see a retina specialist. We always stay at the Horizon Inn. It is in a very handy location to everywhere we want to go. The rooms and service are always good.

Room 223 Pros: Electrical plugs at the head of the bed, both sides. Comfortable bed, clean room. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Lots of pillows. Very good breakfast. Staff was professional. Good restaurant in the parking lot. A/C worked well. Shower had adequate pressure and hot water. Comfortable easy chair and ottoman. It appeared to have an ergonomic chair at the desk. Cons: Pepsi from the vending machine was $2.05. There was a $25 additional fee over what Booking said was my price: $10 deposit (that will be returned to me in 7-10 days), and $15 in taxes. No toilet brush.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past few years. We enjoy our stay here or else we wouldn't be returning. The entire staff is great to deal with. The breakfast is well prepared and a notch above basic. It is, however, offered as part of the deal and gets you up and moving. We will continue to visit the BW in Medford each time we are in the area.

There are other hotels in the area that are much nicer than the Best Western in Medford and the will be getting my business in the future. The rooms were not ready or clean as promised. The staff was not fully trained, the free breakfast was not kept stocked, the area was not kept cleaned and maintained.

Simple and basic motel, easy to just pull up right in front of your door and unload. Clean room and beds, carpeting a little stained, but everything else very nice. Bath was excellent, lots of hot water, great water pressure, amazing showerhead. (I mention this because the BW we stayed at the night before was lacking in this area.) Everything worked great, wifi, air conditioner, etc. For dinner, the Black Bear Diner was literally in their parking lot, very handy. Breakfast room was wonderful, not very crowded, Had the usual choices. Location not very near the main part of Medford, but fine for a night's stop if you're just driving through! Didn't use the pool, but it was large and inviting looking.

Stayed at the Best Western Horizon Inn in Medford while we attended a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in nearby Ashland. Room was comfortable, including the bed. It is outside entrance. Staff were friendly.

If you enjoy smoking stay at this hotel. They offer smoking rooms next door to non-smoking rooms. I do not smoke so I had to endue second hand smoke all night. Not a good choice for non-smokers. The hotel shares a parking lot with Black Bear Dinner. this is convenient for hotel guests although the two do not get along with parking spaces. If you are towing a trailer or driving a truck this is not enough parking spaces. Arrive early to get a parking space. The two businesses do not get along...very sad. No discount is offered for hotel guests at Black Bear Dinner about 100 steps from the hotel. The breakfast hot food was not hot. The room was noisy and not enough room for the guests. The tables could have been cleaner. We will look for another hotel for our next stay. There are many other options in the area.

We stay here almost every six weeks or so, it is always a pleasure to come. We are very well taken care of by everyone. We enjoy the suite, for our upgrade. The pool is very well maintained. Flowers and Very clean patio.

Awesome time. Breakfast staff was rude, but other than that awesome place. Hotel maids were top notch for service! Pool was great! New staff member tendered to pool and towels and always asked if our needs were met and anything he could do. Can get a tad busy with kids jumping and playing.

This hotel location was convenient and easy to locate of the I- 5 going through medford Oregon . The staff were extremely professional and compassionate and knowledgeable made checking in simple and pleasurable . All our questions were answered and expectations were exceeded . The rooms were clean easily accessible from our part vehicle very comfortable beds and furnishings, wonderful TVs, Wi-Fi and large bathrooms, breakfast was filling and desirable .

The staff are friendly and service oriented, the rooms are clean, the property looks clean and feels safe. There is a good size pool and a restaurant in the same parking lot as the hotel which is great.

From the point of check in and upgrade through the cleaning staff and friendliness of all staff it was a pleasure to stay at this location. I enjoyed the restaurant next door several times and the location made it easy to explore the town.

We also had a pet and there was a nice pet area for walking and exercising my dog. The rooms were pretty sound proof so you didn't hear your neighbors. We had a very nice experience and plan to stay there again.

Good easy hotel, staff friendly, all the basics. Breakfast is somewhat bland, but sufficed. Some ice machines not working well. Pool clean. Felt safe. Easy to get on I-5, not far from a mall. Beautiful area. Try river floating and fishing. Check out Gold Hill, cute little town.

Need More updated room. Cleanliness was lacking!!! Found cookies and other debris next to bed on floor right at checkin. Carpet was wrinkling up and causing tripping hazard. Bed had no spring support.

The staff were extremely helpful and handled a billing issue quickly and without an issue. The hotel grounds were clean and well maintained. Parking is a little small since they are sharing a parking lot to Big Bear Diner. The dog area is nice and shaded. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Is basically like the old motor inn ... drive up to the door of your room, or at least somewhat close to your room. When I mention old, I'm also talking about the room itself. It sort of reminds me of the Motel 6 we use to stay at when I was a kid. A narrow room with just enough space for the bed, a few cabinets, mini-frig and small microwave. The bath and toilet was in a separate space/closet, and the bath/shower was quite small. The was sink is at the end of the main room. But as I mentioned in the title, is was very clean ... with the exception of the frig.; had half eaten food and beer still in it from a previous guest. Another downside for us was we reserved a room with a King bed and ended up getting a room with two queen beds. The clerk said there's no guarantee getting what we reserved. Since it was only a one night stay, we decided to let it go, but it's yet another black mark against Best Western after several recent stays. They do provide free WiFi, easy connection and the speed was okay. The free morning breakfast was pretty much the standard fare one finds at many motels today. The pool is an outside pool and was very popular with all the kids. The one positive was the Black Bear Dinner and lounge across the parking lot ...

There are different levels of BW. The best BW I've stayed in is the BW Bodega Bay Lodge. Wherever a BW falls in the heirarchy, I've always counted on them to be clean and comfortable. This one isn't. Room doesn't feel or look clean. Rubber no slip shower mat is filthy. Four small pillows on king bed; no king pillows. Sink is so low I feellike a giant. Carpet is filthy and needs tobe restretched; visible and dangerous "hills." One drawer can't close due to position of refrigerator. Half of the rooms are on the second floor but all vending locations are downstairs. No elevator and no bell service, so getting luggage upstairs was difficult for these two senior citizens. We chose not to go to vending and ice because stairs are very difficult for us. Check in went smoothly. Brian was nice but when we called himfrom our room and asked ifthe Black Bear Diner has a bar, instead of saying "I don't know," he said "They should." We walked over there. No bar. Typical BW breakfast. Insufficient number of hand towels. Few poor quality toiletries. No complimentary anything, not even cookies in the lobby orbottled water in the room. Worst Best Western.

The room we had was very spacious and clean. Everything appeared to be new. The breakfast bar area was staffed by very friendly people trying to help all the time. When an elderly women spilt her coffee when she was bumped by a younger person the staff people helped her with the clean-up and got her food for her again. That is real care.

The staff was friendly, efficient and attentive. Check in/out was a breeze. The location, exterior and grounds were excellent. The room was quite clean, quiet and comfortable. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. I will not hesitate to stay here again and recommend to others.

We stopped to spend the night on our way to Portland. We asked for a room upstairs on the back side. Check in went fairly quickly, and the young man at the desk was very helpful when we asked about places for dinner. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, located upstairs close to the pool. The breakfast hours were very accommodating, 6-10am. Overall our stay was good except for noisy kids periodically running and screaming back and forth in the front until about 11pm. Except for that it was a quiet room. They had a good variety of food for breakfast and plenty of places to sit.

Overall the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The room amenities were in great condition ( blow dryer, iron, tv and remote) The bed was very comfortable and all areas of the room were very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We've stayed in at least a dozen Best Westerns over the years, choosing them as an affordable option when we take our dog along on a road trip. They're generally satisfactory, but vary in overall quality, as you would expect. Relatively speaking, the Horizon in Medford was really excellent in just about every respect. (We wish the pillows were softer, but that was our only complaint.) The place is very well-staffed; we saw lots of people cleaning, hosing down the sidewalks, tending to the landscaping, and keeping the breakfast buffet well stocked with a nice variety of breakfast options--far more than we've found at other BWs. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and spacious, with a few unexpected touches--like elaborately folded washcloths. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they looked appealing. Although the hotel is on a busy street, the rooms are situated so that none are facing the street, so it's quiet. And the dog "relief" area was larger than most, with pick-up bags available and a nicely mulched path through a wooded area. All in all, this is a very good option for pet-friendly traveling.

The hotel room was very clean. But poor insulation in the walls made sleeping not so good. Loud noises and TV audio till 11:45 at night from both sides of the room. Bathroom flushes and shower from next door, sound like they are in your room. Staff was very good and internet was excellent.

Rooms are clean. Use of internet throughout property. Used the pool. It was a nice break from the heat. Kind of awkward to get to but they and you can thank the Oregon Department of Transportation for that.

The Horizon Inn was a nice surprise! It was clean and comfortable. Lots of parking and a nice area for your dog to do his or her thing! Nice breakfast in the morning and the staff were all pleasant. Convenient location right off the 5. The Best Western in Ashland is nice also, but we were able on our north bound trek, to travel a bit more, the Horizon Inn was the right choice! We will deficiently stay there again!

This Best Western provided adequate lodging for a single overnight stay while traveling through the area. The reception staff was pleasant. The property is large and sprawling, and the room was average. The breakfast buffet included with the room was the average scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, etc. served in too small a space adjacent to the office.

Clean! Comfy bed, quiet AC, great space. King suite room. 2nd floor. Really appreciated having 2 sinks, refrigerator and microwave. Full size sofa, coffee table plus a desk. Everything you need was included.

The hotel was nice everything was clean, when we arrived. I'm gonna stop at the front desk staff was very polite and the lady in the breakfast room was very pleasant. The only problem that we experienced is that I had to call three times for an extra towel .

This was our 2nd time staying at BW Horizon, Medford, OR. July 2016 and most recently July 2017. Both experiences were excellent with no real complaints. The property is very clean inside and out. If you have any needs the front lobby or staff working outside addresses them immediately. We were not disturbed with much noise, unusual for a roadside motel property. Very quiet overall. Breakfast was quite good for what it is. Coffee was great and decent selection of foods. If we have opportunity, we would reserve again.

Stopped on our way through the Pacific Northwest. Extremely friendly staff. Kid and pet friendly, for those who need it. Fair pricing. Requested a second-floor room, which they accommodated. Comfortable bed. Would stay there again.

Good, solid Best Western in Medford, Oregon. Medford has a lot of hotels to choose from, some better than others, some definitely newer than others. I like this hotel in southern Medford because it's got quick on/off access to and from I-5, which was good for me on this visit. The hotel is clean, nothing fancy, but the bed was comfy, the room quiet (except for the guest who insisted on talking on his cell phone outside his room in a very loud voice, assuming, I suppose, that everyone wanted to hear his side of the conversation with his relative--no one did, though it went on for an hour). However, the hotel is not to blame for the rudeness of one of its guests. I mention it only in the hopes that maybe he will read this review and a light will go on! Ending on a positive note, the hotel has a nice pool for the kids, & a separate jacuzzi for Mom & Dad.

This is my go-to motel for frequent business, medical, and personal travel to Medford. Older place, but well kept, in a perfect location, with great staff, nice big pool, and a restaurant across the parking lot. The WiFi works, there's been a frige and microwave in every room I've booked, and breakfast is generous.

The staff is always helpful and polite and the beds are wonderful. Breakfast is ok with an ok selection and the pool area is very nice. Having Black Bear Diner right there was perfect. Location to hospital, doctors and the 5 freeway perfect. Rooms are a good size with a mini fridg and microwave. We have stayed twice and would stay again. All and all a really good spot!

Extremely hot day! The pool was very inviting. The room was cool and clean. Everything went smoothly. We swam & rested. We had two small children and it was very family friendly . The breakfast selection was ample. There was something for everyone!

Inn was very nice staff was excellent Only problem is entrance from highway was confusing When people were driving out of the Inn it looked like you could turn left but there was an island in the middle Need to install some type of fencing in media to take away confusion maybe a divider with arrows While eating breakfast saw three cars turn left into oncoming traffic

Hotel is near interstate. Easy to get off and on from interstate. Outside pool. No elevators though or rolling bag carriers. Very quick to respond to any issue and security watches in parking area. Animal friendly! Yea! I travel alone for work and felt very safe.

This place is impressive. For a large hotel it still had a personal feeling.Extremely accommodating staff - from check-in to check-out and that includes housekeeping. Overall a very good experience and we stay at a lot of hotels. This one is one of the best - pay a bit more, but it's worth it for the service and comfort. Clean rooms, good space and our dog was quite content too.

Medford Best Western a good Hotel to break a long driving trip. The rooms were comfortable, clean. Loved the access to Black Bear Dinner across the parking lot. Hotel was very busy, so busy was 1/2 hour wait to be checked in, so plan to arrive early if you have special requests.

We had a reservation for two rooms, one accessible. My wife went to check in and returned to the car in tears because they had been so rude and uncaring to her. They only had two rooms waiting for us both on the second floor, totally inaccessible to me. After my wife came out crying because of the way they treated her, I went in on my scooter and talked to Brian who identified himself as the manager. He was completely arrogant and rude and seemed to want to put all the blame on us and make excuses for their actions. He told me that we were legally obligated to pay for the rooms, even though they were unusable to us. He refused any assistance whatsoever to a 72 year old cripple. Finally he acted as if he was doing us a big favor by agreeing not to charge us for the rooms we could not use. There is no excuse for treating the customer so badly when someone has made a mistake. Best Western needs to hire someone who understands customer service and does not berate the guests. Brian should be ashamed of him self for being without compassion or caring.

Nice, clean, pet friendly place. Very easy to get to and close to all the stores, restaurants and activities we wanted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast offered standard fare, but no complaints.

Was here for 4 days for a family members wedding, so decided to stay here while in town. Never really had any problems with Best Westerns, but this one was by far the worst!! During those 4 nights, I had to go into the lobby and complain about rooms not being cleaned, beds not being made, no soap, no coffee, no towels, and got an attitude from the housing manager every time I had an issue. My advice for anyone thinking about staying here, DONT! Go elsewhere and save yourself the misery. Won't EVER be going back here again, and will tel everyone I know not to even consider this place. Pathetic.

The Bed was great as all the beds in BW have been lately. Good Job BW. Breakfast was very good. The only negative was the shower head that had some holes clogged which made for and un even shower experience.But it was ok. I did not report it. We stayed in Medford because there is an IN and OUT Burger nearby. There was also a Starbucks close by.

The manager of this Best Western motel would not bill us the price listed on their website. We were told that since it is a franchise, they are free to charge whatever they want. If they can't, or won't, update their own website they take no responsibility. We are frequent travelers and have been across the United States three times. We usually look at Best Western motels first. In our 26 years of travels, this is the first Best Western that did not charge the price listed on their website. One other problem was the card key. When we checked in and received the card keys, only one of them worked. We returned to the office and had a new one programed. It still didn't work. The desk clerk said the maybe I didn't know how to use it! I told her that we are frequent travelers and we do know how to use a card key. She gave us two new card keys and neither of them worked. She came to our door to try it. After many tries, one of them worked. She then said that she would have to get the maintenance person to look at it. Since we hadn't moved any of our luggage into the room, it would have been nice to have been offered another room. That didn't happen! We went to eat and when we returned, the door lock was working. This was the worst customer service we have ever encountered at a Best Western motel. Everything else was average for a Best Western Motel except for the traffic noise all night long.

Had shower difficulties, addressed partially. Priced high for quality. Location is not central or easy to get to. I am BW member and not the best hotel. Breakfast variety good, pool small, and not a lot of parking

This is the second time we have stayed at this motel and have been satisfied both times with the rooms and the service. They have a nice little area for the dogs to run and poop bags are readily available. Their pet fee is also very reasonable. The location is convenient to the freeway and to many restaurants. There is also a restaurant next to the motel but we have not tried it. One of things I appreciate most about this motel is the amount of light in the rooms. I need a lot of light to read and really dislike the few dim bulbs that one finds in most motel rooms. All in all, we will continue to stay at this BW location whenever we are traveling between Seattle and San Francisco.

Room was very comfortable and quiet. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Bathroom and room was very clean. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Complimentary breakfast was fresh, hot, tasty and lots of choices.

The room was clean and in excellent condition. Good staff. We had an accessible room. If you travel with a physically handicapped person, be prepared for extremely high beds and very soft mattresses. My wife was unable to get on the bed and ended up sleeping in her wheelchair with her feet up on the side chair. The franchisee was either unable or unwilling to do anything to resolve this problem.
