Yesterday my Mother's Day surprise for the family and kids and was a #Staycation and rented a room just so we could use the pool and enjoy a Sunday Mothers. Rented and paid for #BestWesternhere in MEDFORD on Barnett RD. Went to check in and they said they don't rent to people who live in town. Never heard of that and I worked in the hotels in Hawaii for 20years. Way to crush a Mother's Day Staycation.
We were en route from Washington State to L.A. Ca and along the way we stayed at a couple of different Best Westerns in California and Oregon. Personnel were wonderful and the hotel was a great place to stay on the road traveling through the various cities.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times. It is consistently clean and well taken care of. The beds are comfortable, and the staff friendly . The breakfast has a good variety for everyone's taste and needs.
Office is clean and the parking was kept clean they offered coffee in the office 24/7 fresh water infused with fruit . Theirs a restaurant on the same parking nearby by stores and easy excess to Hiway and 8 minutes to the Medford airport traffic is minimal.
I stay at Best Western properties all over the west coast. This is a great property with very affordable rooms. Staff is always friendly. Only complaint is the breakfast is in a small room and doesn't have as many items as other properties. Still a good breakfast and overall the room is well worth the price.
Terrible dirty little room, carpet needed to be removed. No fan in the bathroom and thin walls. Problems with door which needed housekeeper and maintenance to let me in to the room. The final straw was forgetting my robe on the bathroom door after locking up the room and finding out it had been taken and not turned in so. Also as a dog owner I pay an extra fee to have my little dog with me and for this I'm relegated to hideous rooms. They should take a page out of a delightful little spot in Lincoln City called Looking Glass Inn that has wonderful rooms for dog owners and caters to dog owners rather than puts up and penalizes them. I stayed at many BW on this holiday and this was the worst one and experience.
This sis a basic Best Western. We found it to be clean and quite and the staff were welcoming and helpful. There is a Black Bear restaurant across the parking lot which was very convenient. Quick access to interstate 5 both. north and south bound
Staff was very kind, room was wonderful. Hotel is centrally located. I will definitely stay here my next trip to Medford. Breakfast was great, had a lot of options. Hot tub is covered, easy parking lot
We've stayed at this hotel 3 times. It has always been very clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are a nice size. The breakfast room is packed with food but if you prefer a restaurant Black Bear Diner is located next door and is very good.
The staff is always very friendly and I keep coming back here for work trips. I love that the hot tub is open year round so I can relax after a long day of work. The pool is also very nice when it is open. The rooms are standard and get the job done. I like how there is a refrigerator and microwave in every room.
Everything was clean and enjoyable. I do think the dining room could be bigger and vented better but I cant really complain . We slept well on the comfortable beds, and it was relatively quiet. I would definitely come back
Desk employee argued with me when i asked to upgrade room at check in. Room was very tiny and had a bad odor. Manager rolled eyes and walked away. Very rude and unpleasant experience. Went and found much better hotel in the surrounding area.
Very nice property with easy on/off freeway. Nice pool and spa. A yummy restaurant next door. Very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfy. I used the hi speed internet and the business center un the lobby to print a few documents.
We stayed here because they accepted our voucher for a free night which we were not able to use in nearby Ashland, OR. A huge facility, full of young people here for a baseball tournament. Their noise and running around stopped by 10:00 pm though and we slept quietly. The breakfast had a good selection of items but the room was very crowded. Great location right off I-5.
The Best Western Horizon Inn in Medford provides good value for money. The rooms are large and provide all the amenities needed for a sleepover. The decor is rather bland but the rooms are functional. The location is good as it is close to the freeway. There is 1 restaurant within walking distance but most restaurants are across the highway. The breakfast is the usual hotel style freebie. Nothing exciting but it works. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioner/heater. Old style and it was difficult to set. The duvet was very thin and there were no extra blankets in the room
Reasonably priced, comfortable beds, clean rooms, great parking excellent wifi and nice looking lobby. Only negative is maybe adding a little touch to personalized guest service. I mentioned before arrival that i was having a birthday get away. At most Best Westerns that kind of notification is at least met with a "happy birthday" or something. Besides that, the stay was worth the cost.
Typical standard Best Western accommodations. Nothing extravagant, but nothing particularly disappointing, either. It's nice having the Black Bear DIner just a short walk across the parking lot - we always get a good meal at their locations. We were hoping for an exercise room with a treadmill, but desk told us it had been removed because it "didn't meet ADA requirements". Not sure what that would be, but whatever. I have a favorite AirBnB in the area I like to stay at, but it was already booked and this was OK as a substitute - would stay again if I needed a room in the area. Nice to have a hot breakfast available in the morning. (The seemingly-mandatory belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc.)
I chose this hotel for location and price, traveling with my 6yr son on a 4 day road trip I just needed a place to stay. This place surprised me! I requested an early check in (son got car sick) when I arrived into town and was surprised when they got me a room almost immediately. The room was a king room and it was very spacious! It was clean and the mini fridge was super convenient. Breakfast attendant went above and beyond for me and my son when I clearly had my hands full. After a long roadtrip, and a sick child, I was refreshingly impressed with my overall stay. Will definitely stay here again.
The parking lot is quite large and it was packed so they must be doing something right here. Located just off the I-5, it shares a parking lot with a Black Bear diner. (be sure to display your BW parking pass). The reception area was busy (dealing with a customer's wonky internet booking) but the check-in went smoothly and our requests were accommodated (thank you Robin). Our room (248) was very clean and quiet which is what we asked for. Extremely comfortable king sized bed; good wi-fi; comfortable easy chair and ottoman. Real glasses and coffee cups in the room. Breakfast was just average-no reason to leave hungry but nothing special. More of a 41/2 star rating.
We recently spent two nights here and have no complaints. The staff was friendly, the room comfortable and very clean, and our one small maintenance issue (a slow-draining sink) was addressed right away. It can be a bit noisy as it's in a busy location, and our first night we were woken up at around 4:00 a.m. by a delivery truck for the Black Bear Diner next door. It seemed that they had their back-up beep signals on forever but nothing that earplugs can't help with! Planty of parking and a decent breakfast buffet - overall, a good value.
We found this hotel to be very good. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and amenities all worked well including good wifi. The breakfast was good. I reccomend staying here.
The staff is friendly, check in and check out her very smooth, breakfast was very good with lots of variety. The foo was very clean and comfortable with a heater that was quiet and worked very well! I would highly recommend this hotel.
We arrived early in the day and were greeted like friends. The booking went well and when we arrived later in the day during check-in time, our room was ready. It was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and clean. Although we could have had breakfast at the neighboring restaurant, we decided we would catch a quick breakfast offered at this property. It was one of the best continental breakfasts we've had and offered several options.. The location was excellent for our needs. We would choose this property again! Thanks!
Great place to stay! I'm from Klamath Falls. Had an appointment and traveled the day before. Great stay and great hospitality!! We were told we'd get 2 queens, instead got 2 doubles. Would be a 5/5 but the beds were too firm. It's close to I5 and in the same lot as Black Bear Diner. I always bring my service dog and he loved it! Breakfast was very good, the pet area is good and blocked from general view. Great overall! Would consider coming back!
After a VERY long drive from Vancouver , B.C., I gfinally stopped in South Medford, OR, at this HOtel, and I'm GLAD I did...and EXCELLENT place to stay! Very convenient to Highway 5, EXCELLENT staff, all round a really great experience!!
I stopped at th Best Western in Medford on business. It was a very comfortable stay. The Black Bear Restaurant adjacent was very good. I would certainly recommend this to travelers on Interstate 5. I would come again.
This was our first trip to Medford to visit family. Unfortunately it rained the 4 days of our visit but we still had a great time. This hotel is not on the higher end of the Best Western hotels but it had your basic amenities which was fine for us. The front staff are super friendly and helpful. And the cleaning staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The breakfast is simple but good. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. :)
We enjoyed an overnight stay in this excellent, pet friendly hotel. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Overall, great value and highly recommended. We'll be back!
We've been to Best Westerns in several states, and the Horizon Inn certainly was one of the best. Our room was quite spacious, spotless and well maintained. I just wish BW would provide full-sized pillows instead of those baby ones. The buffet breakfast was noteworthy, as was the professional and accommodating staff. See you next time in Medford.
We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is pretty good similar to most BW hotels. We will stay here again and it is handy having the Black Bear Restaurant in the parking lot.
Was in wheelchair accessible room. 2 queen beds. One was good, the other lumpy. MMY husband had a bad nights sleep. Rug was almost bare and dirty looking. WAs have stayed here before even though it is hard to get to because of the MMedford freeway interchange. We have it a 3 because the staff are great. Even though the BW is on our travel route will probably not stay here again.
Found the staff to be very professional who also provided great service. Plenty of parking space which was also close to our room. Breakfast was not as expected for a BW property. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great access from the freeway.
We are loyal best western customers. I can usually depend on rating our stay at one of these places well. I'm afraid I can't rate this location well. First of all was the chill in our room. The heater was so noisy, that we had to turn it off which made it too cold for the thin blanket on the bed. If there were extra blankets to put over our bed, that would have solved our chill. But such was not the case. Then the clock alarm went off at 4:30 AM. It would be a good practice for housekeeping staff to check the clock alarms as part of their cleaning routine, to make sure the alarm doesn't go off for the next customers. Besides that, the clocks were never adjusted for the falling back from daylight savings time. Next, was the degree of cleanliness of the room. Not the same standard as other BWs. The toilet seat wobbled from loose screws - something that could be fixed with a little attention to maintenance. Good points: this place welcomed our dog. There was a nice pet area with doggy bags, well-maintained. The grounds were stark but clean. This is a large complex. Black bear diner is on the premises, which is a nice convenience.
We enjoyed our brief stay. Liked that we could park outside our door. Black Bear Diner in same parking lot made for a nice dinner after a long drive. Close to shopping center for any traveling needs. Nice hotel-great place to stay. A little difficult to get in and out of due to location on Main Street.
The lobby to this hotel was amazing so beautiful loved that. Our room was ok seemed like it was missing a chair in the room because there was a big old space in the room. The bed has got to go it caved in the middle not very comfortable. Hot tub wasn't working properly the first night we were there but the second night it worked fine. Breakfast was ok nothing amazing but decent. WiFi kept dropping when we were in the room. Overall would definitely stay again.
great place to stay with your dogs. Friendly staff, clean room, great location. nice dog area and a great dog park located right across the street. also located near some great restuarants. Breakfast was ok,
Lovely room and service was great! Right off the highway and easy to head out in the morning for our adventure to the Wild Animal Safari nearby. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Love most of the BW facilities.
This motel really does understand fur parents. Has a special pet area, pets are all booked one end of motel. They brought me an extra sheet for scared 6 month puppy first time away from home so could snuggle with "Mom", told me about dog park nearby. Addtionally, rooms are clean and motel quite well kept, not at all your "rundown we accept anyone" motel. Staff extra friendly, room rate quite reasonable (esp. since was there for a 4 day dog show and was very busy.)
This motel is becoming more and more outdated. The rooms need to be updated. They are okay but not what you are paying for. The tile must be 10-20 years old. The mattress needed to be updated too. We have stayed in Best Westerns this whole trip so far. We paid 10 dollars more for this one than last night and it just was not up to par. Breakfast was not up to par. It was a crowded room about half the size needed for this large motel. Everybody was in the way of everyone else. NO POTATOES of any kind! Two dishes with meat, but we don't eat meat. The gravy would have been great but you put meat in it too. No whipped cream for the waffles. Not much variety. Bananas were soft and almost rotten. No microwave in the breakfast area. Butter was like eating rocks. We will skip this SoSo Western Motel as it was not the Best Western. To Best Western Horizon management/owners--- Other Best Westerns are making you look bad because you have earned it and they are doing it at less cost than you are. It is time for you to upgrade the rooms and the breakfast.
Beautiful Best Western.Really appreciated that we could drive up to rooms, makes unpacking easier. We found some very good places to eat nearby. This is the place to stay if you are traveling through. Great rooms and great staff.
The property is convenient to I-5 and is very well cared for. The building is attractive and the grounds are kept in good shape. The staff members were responsive and friendly. The breakfast offered many tasty items and the staff were helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The cost was reasonable for this kind of property.
Very nice stay. Parking lot is limited because shared with restaurant and you can't park in the restaurant spaces or risk being towed. Hotel parking spaces are small. Not optimal for lg pickup trucks.
The accommodations were very good but I was most impressed with 2 things. The customer service was excellent. The clerk actually called my room about 2 hours after check in to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Everything was good but at most hotels you have to track people down if you have any concerns. Also, the breakfast facilities were great. They have a separate room instead of just a corner of the lobby and had a large selection to choose from.
After a long day of sightseeing checked in here. The room was clean. Check-in was a breeze. Attendants were personable. The room was good sized. The lot was clean and well lit. I traveled with a pet. The room had no odor. We were assigned to a room near pet relief area which was great. The pool was heated and very clean. The hot tub was hot, clean and secluded Towels were staged in both areas, which was nice. The location is good. Breakfast was ok. The attendant in charge of the area kept the breakfast area stocked and clean.
Beautiful Best Western.Really appreciated that we could drive up to rooms, makes unpacking easier. We found some very good places to eat nearby. This is the place to stay if you are traveling through. Great rooms and great staff.
When my folks and I were staying at the Best Western Herizon Inn the toilet water level rose up to when we would use the restroom, we would get a nasty surprise!!!! And also the second night that we were supposed to be spending the night there, there was a lady whom they gave a key to the room we were in and took us by surprise and called us right when we were trying to get back to sleep saying they didn't have us down for 2 night when my Mom in a clear voice and I'm a eyewitness to my Mom clearly saying that we would like to spend two nights at the Best Western Herizon Inn!!!! Not happy with their services!!!!
The breakfast bar was the best of all of the hotels I stayed in during the last 2 weeks. The bed was comfortable and the price was fair. I set off the fire alarm with the steam from my shower which posed a small problem but it shut off after a few moments. this place is due for a remodeling I think.
This hotel was one of the most clean comfortable quiet motels I've stayed in at Medford and I've stayed in many of the Medford hotels. I found the room spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is big and tasty for those kind of deals. It was also convenient to Black Bear Diner if you wanted to eat there. It is a little bit awkward to get there from the exit - you end up having to do a u-turn but it wasn't really too bad. I've stayed in many motels in Medford and I usually go for the cheapest one I can find but I might start paying the few extra bucks to stay here for now on. Quite an upgrade for comfort and just feeling safer then I get in the other cheaper places downtown.
My previous review of this location was May 2016. Once again we loved this location and amenities. Fantastic shower, comfy King bed, large, clean room, and nice staff. There is a Black Bear diner across the parking lot. We ordered dinner to go and ate in our room after a long day of driving. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Amazing selection of food to choose from.
worst best western ever coffee maker was so dirty it almost made me sick, black human hairs in the tub on the toilet. Wet spots on the floor??? whos to say. Rigs running at 4am like 7 of them for like a hour then to top it off all the back up alarms on those trucks was to much. People up running around tell midnight. I was there for two nights and got hardly any sleep
I've stayed here many times. It's clean and reasonably priced. The shower pressure was inconsistent. The bed was a little soft for my taste. Overall, decent experience. It's close to Ashland and usually less expensive
We had made reservations here few weeks in advance, but when the Carr wildland fire struck Redding, and our wildland firefighter son-in-law said the fire crews were being housed at the BW Horizon, I called to see if the reservation would be able to be honored. "Of course", was the reply, "We are looking forward to seeing you." The inn was full to the brim with firefighters, utility crews, refugees from the fires, and us. Despite the hectic nature of things, we experienced the same level of comfort and care that we had on previous stays. The dogs love this place, because there is a leash-free dog park just across the street. On a more negative note, Medford (or "Meth-ford" as the locals name it), is becoming overrun with druggies, tweakers, and homeless. At the dog park, as the sun was setting, several chronically homeless individuals were already setting up camp for the night. The park itself was littered with trash, including some abandoned drug paraphernalia. Be advised.
Great location, and a large, pleasant room. Everything in our room was clean, smelled fresh, and worked—including the curtains. Excellent lighting. Artwork in the room was pleasant. Wifi worked well. Even though it is near I-5, it was very quiet at night. The breakfast was very good, and, even though it was very busy, the breakfast room was spotless, with the attendant cleaning things up as quickly as people could mess it up. It has a great, ample parking lot, even with buses and trailers hogging space. Staff was friendly and helpful. The ONLY concern I had was that there were no grab bars for the bathtub/shower, and I was worried about tripping getting in and out of the tub. We were there for a family wedding, and everyone in the group had similar great experiences.
We had to book this hotel last minute as we were on a trip to California and with the Delta fire, and getting a late start leaving Salem, OR, we wanted to get some rest and figure out what routes to California would be open in the morning. The front desk was friendly, professional and got us a room in minutes, The next day when I came to ask the location of the breakfast, as well as any news of the fire, a different employee was also very nice and professional. We would stay here again if need be and felt we got good value for our money.
Great hotel with an outstanding crew working the property. Very easy on and off the 5. Food and shopping close by! Clean rooms, great internet and a quality breakfast! Quiet with ample parking! Highly recommended!
99.9% of all stays at Best Westerns are wonderful! This hotel is among them!! Very clean and well kept. Staff is friendly and makes it clear that they want you to be satisfied. The bed and pillows are comfy and smell great!!! It's nice that Black Bear restaurant is right across the parking lot! Yes, it's an older hotel. But we find the older ones are quieter because of the thicker walls. Yes, we'd stay again??
Best Western Horizon Inn offers spacious rooms and pleasant night stay. The room has a microwave and a refrigerator with a microwave. We had a pleasant sleep in the room. Even though we enjoyed our stay, our door lock did not work. We reported the door problem to housekeeping. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room was little small.
Was very impressed with the decor, the room was quite large and bathroom spotless with toiletries by bath and body works. The pool and hot tub were very clean , and the breakfast was of a good standard.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is refreshing for the kids even at night. The breakfast has plenty to choose from and is always fresh and being replenished. We always enjoy the stay here in Medford.
Fortunately I get to travel through Medford at least once per year. When I want a place to stay, this Best Western is always my choice (would be even though I do have a Rewards Card). Easy access and egress; pleasant and helpful staff; comfortable beds; plenty of rooms; totally enjoyable pool and hot tub; morning breakfast; Black Bear Diner easily accessible; what more could you want.
Business trip, stayed close to work site. Adequate facilities, prices higher than per diem. Parking is kind of tricky, restaurant in parking lot will have you towed if you're in one of their spots. At least the motel has it posted on the entry. I've always liked this location but it is getting dated and the prices are still going up.
We stayed here for only one night but this is a very nice hotel The hotel room was clean well kept and plenty of room for the three of us The free breakfast was good and plenty of food good variety and tasty The pool was wonderful and warm our granddaughter loved it and was in for hours.... Black Bear diner is in the same parking lot and good as always No negatives for this hotel we recommend
Good location. Easy to find off of I5. Great restaurant next door - Black Bear Diner. The king bed was very comfortable and had a good nights rest. Would stay here again at a future time. Very quiet location.
The hotel is convenient to the freeway, and right next to a family style restaurant. Room was large and clean, staff very good. The pool looked nice, although we did not use it. Breakfast is adequate, with sausage, eggs, biscuits, waffles, cereal on offer. WiFi is good quality, password protected.
The Property has good curb appeal. The grounds are well maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable and adequately supplied with personal items . The internet is quick and reliable. The pool and spa area are nicely maintained
Came to Medford from the Portland area to go to a Barnstormers Event at the fair grounds. It was easily accessible from the freeway, check in was super quick along with check out. Beds looked inviting to just fall on and turn on the air conditioning to relax for a while and cool off from the heat. The pool was very nice, water temp was perfect and they had pool toys for the kids to use which was wonderful.
I have driven through Medford many times, and am always searching for a place that's easy to find, affordable, and clean and quiet. Finally found it! Check in and check out were easy, and everyone was super friendly. I also appreciated the good meal next door (The Black Bear Diner). I'll definitely stay here again!
Beds were rock hard and big bugs in room and when mentioned to the front office they said that was to be expected. Was not impressed with anything ab out this hotel and stay will not recommend to anyone
We have to travel for medical purposes so we are already stressed. On our first trip we stayed in Choice hotels and the experience was so bad we changed back to Best Western. Our experience in Medford showed us the extra $$ (Not so much more) was so worth the change. Will always use BW in the future. They are clean, comfortable and friendly. Food extra good and hot meal.
Thank you for letting our softball team of 13-14 yr olds stay. The pool and hot tub was amazing. The service was fantastic. The breakfast was nice and the time it was open was great. How ever the showers were a disaster. The water would go from cold to extremely hot. It burned some of our girls really bad. We did tell maintenance and they couldn't do anything about it. The showers made this offal noise like a really loud screeching noise made it hard to even shower because of your not getting burned or froze your ears are gonna burst. Their pipes need up dated for sure. Other then that the stay was amazing.
This is an old fashioned drive-up motel, which I really like. We had two king rooms with great comfy beds, clean bathrooms, and efficient air conditioning. We could get bagels, waffles, cereal and yogurt for breakfast, and the scrambled eggs were really good. There are no safety deposit boxes in rooms, which would have been good, but the staff at the reception desk stored our valuables for us. We didn't try the diner nearby, but explored several local restauarants, and enjoyed them all. The outdoor pool was a real bonus.
We stayed here 1 night. Arrived late, left early so we did not spend much time at the property. Breakfast was very well stocked, lots of options and plenty of seating. This hotel is more of a "motel", exterior corridor, two floors (I did not see an elevator). We had a good night sleep, air conditioning worked well. The rooms could use a little updating but otherwise we did have a good stay. Check In/Check Out process was very quick. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband is 100% service-related disabled veteran. Has problem with his lungs and heart. We came to Medford for an overnight stay unaware of the terrible smoke because of area fires. We arrived at hotel at 1:30pm and I asked for an early check-in because my husband was not feeling well. We had planned to take a walk in one of the parks, but could not because of smoke. We were told there would no rooms available until 3pm. That's when they guarantee that rooms will be ready. Apparently housekeeping staff gets all rooms done at the same time. I tried to explain how the smoke was making my husband sick. No one cared. After we were able to check-in we went to our room. Only 4 very small pillows on the bed and the air conditioning was not working properly. We could not sleep that night and left early the next morning. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is totally uncaring.
Staff was courteous and helpful. We had a comfortable stay while enjoying the pool and wonderful breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable and a great location for our short visit to Medford.
Booked this motel due to the lack of availability of doggie friendly hotel rooms in Ashland, and we were pleased with the choice. The room was ample in size, the air conditioner worked perfectly, everything was in good working order, and the room was scrupulously clean. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept very well. The breakfast offerings were ample and well presented. What more do you want? We'll definitely stay here again.
After a day of driving it was a great place to stop. Typically we avoid the Medford area because of hotel costs there but this was a great price. Room was clean and the Black Bear Diner across the parking lot was a plus and dinner was excellent. Breakfast at the hotel was your typical continental breakfast. The shower went from extremely cold to extremely hot so that can be an issue, however filling the tub was not a problem since you could fill before getting in it, this controlling the temperature.
Very Nice pool and hot tub. The stock photos show the pool in the parking lot, which it is, but it is surrounded with nice landscaping and lounge areas, shaded and sunny areas. Clean. Good location. Breakfast is so-so, however there is a restaurant that shares the parking lot if you want a better breakfast.
good location right off the freeway. Hotel is nice and quiet. Parking is abundant. Front desk staff were very nice and greet you with a smile. Air conditioning worked great. Room was very clean and well stocked.
The front desk staff is on-top of the needs of their guests. I felt they would be able to assist me with any request I could possible imagine. I requested an early check-in, got it. I requested a late check-out, got it. I needed an extra hair dryer, got it. Also, the maintenance staff was competent, so happy and friendly. And my room, of course, was perfect.
This hotel is easy-access to Interstate 5, not directly on the highway so noise level is low. The service at the front desk was very cordial and informative. They explained everything about the hotel and the amenities and the Wifi passcode and the parking and how to find our room...Exceptional service. The room was very comfortable and clean with blackout curtains. The air conditioner was super quiet, the furnishings were current trend, the bed was comfy, the bathroom had plenty of towels and sundries, adequate size flat screen TV with many choices of channels, the room location was quiet, the guests were quiet and respectful. Didn't use the pool, but observed an inviting, relaxing atmosphere, nicely landscaped, many chairs and tables to relax. Breakfast was standard-affair for a Best Western. Would not recommend the Black Bear Diner next door.
We stay at several hotels in the year and this one was on the average side. The employees checking us in were pleasant. It was very clean and we also got in earlier than expected but still got in our room. Which was great. We thought it would be loud but it was pretty quiet. We had asked for a king room but ended up with two queens. Not a big deal though.
The room was clean otherwise OK, but this was not my best experience at a Best Western. I had asked for a room near the office/lobby and was placed in a room near the pool - almost the farthest room from the lobby that there is. When I remarked on it, there was no offer to change the location, only a comment that at least it wasn't across the parking lot. The bed was too soft and the soap products and towels smelled like unsmoked tobacco to me. Also, the was a significant gap between the door and door frame which made me uncomfortable. Dust, bugs, heat and sunlight can all get in through these gaps. This hotel is also south of town and pretty difficult to find/drive to.
Stayed in room 169, once I walked in the stale smoke smell hit me like a ton of bricks, my husband didn't notice it much. I called the front desk to see if I accidentally chose a smoking room, I was told that it used to be a smoking room over a year ago! The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the service friendly, but that stale smoke smell is awful! The carpet and curtains need to be ripped out and replaced and the walls painted to get rid of the smell
Check-in is horrendously late: 3pm. If you're traveling by car and planned on unloading your things, or getting kids ready before spending time in town, you'll be disappointed. Other guests smoking Right outside thier rooms, and rooms are sealed enough to keep it out. Breakfast area was cramped, had to eat in room, eggs seriously undercooked.
The moment we entered the lobby, the staff made us feel appreciated, They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Room was well appointed and spacious enough. Noise level was low and not bothersome. This motel is two floors with outside walk ways, so if you have trouble going up stairs you should request first floor.
Hotel is located in a convenient area but not too close to the highway so as to hear noise. Thanks to quiet neighbors I could actually sleep. The bed was very comfortable. I paid extra to have my 2 dogs with me. Some hotels provide an extra dog sheet to cover the linens, but this one did not, nor did they provide a bowl, but of course I had my own so that was not a problem. They did have a very nice area to let them walk around in. I just wish that everyone who has a pet would clean up after them. Especially when the management provides green baggies and disposal units.
The location is awesome for baseball at US Cellular Field. The fact there is a Black Bear Diner nearby is awesome as well. I have stayed here a couple of times and I will stay here again. I am a big fan of BW and all they offer for families. This hotel has some family suites that are perfect for a small family.
The room was very nice, clean and quiet. The breakfast was hot and very good. We always have a nice stay here in Medford. This has been our third time. We also like it being pet friendly send we have a little one.
Very good place for a stopover with a Black Bear Diner on site. Unit is well insulated from the surrounding highway noise. This is a good location to use as home base for activities in southern Oregon.
Newly renovated rooms, very helpful staff. Didn't think much of the adjacent Black Bear Diner. No other customers but took forever to get served and the wait staff had to be coached (by me) on how to prepare two takeaway desserts.
The property was a bit dated and the furnishings not all that great, but for the money spent, I have no complaints. It was clean, they gave us three large bath towels which I liked, the staff was friendly and efficient, and everything in the room worked.
We have stayed at this BW as a halfway stop in our travel to and from Sacramento, CA to Battleground, WA. It is almost exactly halfway b/w the two locations. It is an easy location to access just off the freeway and an easy access back to Interstate 5.
I travel for buisness frequently and unfortunately hotels have become a second home to me. Everytime I come to this city, this hotel never disappoints me. Clean, safe, comfortable and friendly. What more could you want?
Very Comfortable and very easy to get to. Nice Restaurant next door, that you can walk to, and Best Western provided a great choice of breakfast items. Would stay again in our travels as BW is our choice .....
this hotel is our half way point and we have stayed there many times. Great staff, very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are always very clean and it is convenient to the freeway. There is a Big Bear Diner on the property which makes it nice when you just don't feel like getting back in the car and having to drive again.
Located right off the I-5, this property is quite old and in need of some love in the way of renovations! The rooms are very basic! The swimming pool is seasonal! The highlight of the stay was breakfast! Everything was hot and tasty!
the people standing out of there doors smoking come in my air unit. the rule is no smoking but provide ash trays at the room doors is not helping. Butts are all over the place and stink my room up with smoke coming in my air unit
This is the second or third time we have stayed here. They are very consistent. They accept our pets. They have a nice area to walk pets and even poop baggies and trash available. There is a dog park across the street and also a walking path starts right next to the hotel. I like they have real coffee cups in the rooms not so much waste. Everything is always clean and we like being able to have breakfast to start our day.
I have stayed at this motel quite a few times over the past years and have always been pleased with the staff and property. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. Their continental breakfast is better than I have experienced in moderately priced properties such as this BW.
Repeat guest at this Best Western. Clean rooms, clean property, always treated great here. Easy access to freeway, close to shopping and restaurants. Black Bear diner is next to property and always a good meal there. Staff on site are always helpful, kind and procide great service. We will continue to stay here.
Very nice hotel, with a good layout. Location was right next to Black Bear Diner, so dinner was obvious. Roll-away was perfect, and even though the jacuzzi was next to our room, we didn't hear it. In the morning, breakfast was a bit cramped. They use a seperate room instead of opening it up from the lobby. Try to not take up a table for 4 if you are a party of 2. All the hot foods you come to expect are at the breakfast, which is why it is so popular. Super fast check out, over all very happy.
We have stayed here on prior occasions. It's clean, and quiet and the staff are very nice. The breakfast is the typical hotel fare and there is plenty of food. We did have a little problem with the drain in the shower as it was very slow to drain. We reported it to the front desk the next morning and they thanked us for reporting it.
This is a very nice place to stay. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. I have to say that breakfast was really very good with a good selection of food. Didn't hear my neighbors as the walls seem to be fairly soundproof.
We always stay at the Best Western Horizon when traveling from Seattle to California. We enjoy the location near the freeway access, the free breakfast and dinner at the Black Bear. It is very simple to get back onto the freeway the next morning.
We were on our way to the California coast and we wanted a great place to stay on the way! The beds are great and so was the breakfast! The room was big and we were very happy with our stay! The people at the front desk did an excellent job!
The location was perfect for our stopover to San Francisco. I usually look for BW since I'm part of their rewards program. This particular one is more of a "motel-style" w/doors that open to the parking area. With this being the case, it's noisy, especially on the bottom floor, by the stairs that others use to access the 2nd floor. It's a busy hotel & the parking area is shared with the Black Bear Diner, so lots of traffic! The Breakfast was great & the woman working in the Breakfast Area worked very hard restocking items as they emptied. The room was clean, but again, noisy. The beds were too soft for my liking.
Best Western Horizon Inn is my go to in Medford,OR. Always great staff, rooms are clean, attractive and comfortable. Pillows are wonderful, everything you need. Close to the interstate. Restaurant right next door.
everything here was as should be expected. Clean rooms, not over priced and OK comfort on the bed. Not a luxury hotel and not a dive. This is a good middle of the road place to stay. Pool was closed but the weather was still questionable outside, the convenience of the diner next door is nice.
Room was dirty and toilet did not work at all as it was stuffed. Blood stains on outside of balcony leading to the parking lot. Hotel needs to be renovated to keep up with best western standard. Made the booking based on the Hotel chain name. Will not do that again. Wife was not happy with my blind booking.
We were on the last night of our way home and just needed a place to sleep. Clean and comfortable and the Black Bear in the parking lot made an easy choice for dinner. Nothing really wrong here. Bathroom was pretty small. I would return if in Medford again.
We were traveling through Oregon and decided to call it a day. I was able to quickly book this hotel on my phone and it's lucky I did because they were filling up quickly. The front desk clerk was very friendly and professional. The room was comfortable and clean but a little utilitarian. My only complaint, and this is VERY minor, was the breakfast. It was sufficient but could have been a little more creative. Maybe offer some cheese or salsa with the eggs, a better fruit selection, etc. I've stayed at a Best Western that had little omelets that you could fill with your choice of toppings! The pool area looked nice and inviting but we didn't get a chance to take advantage of it. I would definitely stay here again if traveling through and the price was right!
I received an email informing me I earned a free stay. When attempting to book the room, I encountered endless problems. Called the hotel and was informed they had plenty of rooms available, until I said I had points for a free room. Suddenly no rooms were available. Asked if I could speak to a manager. Was told she was out till 1/2. Asked for the district manager and or the owner. After a brief hold, a manager was on the phone. I told her I was a LOCAL wanting a night away. She then told me to book with 1800 western. Called the 1800 number. Same run around. Asked for the agent to call the local motel and work it out. Thought I had satisfaction. Until I showed up. Not only was I told it was booked under a cash payment, I was refused service, as they do not book to locals. The man behind the counter ( name unknown. Long unprofessional hair, and a horrible attitude) asked if I had ID that had a address was not local. If I had an ID that was not valid and or expired he would of given me the room? I understand each location has rules. I should of been notified on the FIRST call. I made 7 calls attempting to book this room. Only to show up to deal with a yahoo behind the counter. Who lacks any sort of professionalism, let alone customer service. His attitude was dismissive, and rude. I would never ever recommend this motel. I strongly suggest the silly and unneeded rules are explained every single call. I suggest some major hospitality training happens immediately. Zero stars.
Good location just off the I-5 but not noisy except for my neighbours. Walls are very thin. Nice touch of a well planned dog walking area with doggie bags. Front desk staff were very pleasant. Bright and clean breakfast room with an excellent selection of plentiful hot and cold items. Lots of construction workers staying here that fire up their trucks at 5:30 so I did not need an alarm clock!
Handicap room shower a mosh pit we even sprayed shower water in the waste basket. Safety bars everywhere. A good thing. Room 150 is ok if you are wheel chair bound. We are not quite there yet. We will return.
I can always count on this place to give me a clean, comfortable, safe feeling stay. I was really impressed with the breakfast this stay. In the Summer, the swimming pool is enjoyed and during the winter, I enjoy the Hot Tub.
we could stay at a number of surrounding motels/hotels in area, but feel comfortable here. We have two service dogs that also like this place. We have medical appointments in area regularly in this area close to Assante that works for us
We were making a trip to Portland and we stopped here up and back from our trip. It was a great place to stay. The Front Desjk staff was very caring to our needs. The Breakfast is outstanding and the ladies who take of this area are very hospitable.
I always stay at this Best Western when traveling to the Seattle area. It is always clean inside along with the parking area and office. There is also the Black Bear Diner that you can walk to. We usually bring our dog. The pet area is very clean and the guest rooms do not have a pet smell.
I usually love this hotel and staff as they go out of their way to welcome you and help you with anything that you would need. I stayed here on my trip coming and going, but coming, the staff member told me that my reservation was canceled. I made the reservation myself online and also called to ensure that I could get a Non-Pet friendly room. The staff member not only told me that it was canceled but wanted me to prove it and was beyond rude. Finally after a long time, he was able to give me a room that was Non-pet friendly and yes I love animals, just cant breathe if they have been in the room.
Made a reservation to stay at this Best Western for a overnight stay before medical procedure at Rouge Valley Hospital. We live in Klamath Falls and did not want to drive to me there at 5:30 in the morning. Staff and accommodations were wonderful, pet site was very nice. We were there during Thanksgiving, packed hotel. I think it was very nice. It was raining and I was able to walk my dog without getting wet. Very nice stay. Great location, close to everything we needed. Will stay there again. Thank you.
Great value, great people and service! From check-in to Breakfast at check-out we had wonderful service. The Jacuzzi was a huge help for an sore back and legs after driving for hours.Thank You, we will return.
Courteous staff and great rooms!!! The location of the hotel is close to the freeway, shopping and many other places to eat. In addition, it is not some place where you will have to worry about leaving your car or belongings. It appears to be very safe environment.
This is a typical Best Western. The rooms are quiet and clean and, of course, a great breakfast. My only comment is about the pet area. It is small but nicely laid out with trails, bushes and trees. At night it is totally dark however and you can't see if there are other dogs in the area. Two large dogs were startled by my little one and began to attack before the owner got them under control. If there had been lighting we would not have had that issue.
Overall nice place, staff, breakfast. Room amenities are not up to par. The light switch to the ceiling light controls the plug by the bed. No charging phones, using equipment unless you either sleep with the light on, or unscrew the bulbs!
We drive through at least once a year to visit family in Calif and typically stay in Roseburg. Now we will take a little more time and make it to Medford to stay at the Horizon Inn. With the Black Bear Diner out front it's the perfect spot for an over night break. We won't need to worry about what we will find when we get there
I've stayed here on several previous occasions. The rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast is the typical hotel fare, but there is plenty of food. The location is easy to find and handy to shopping ,etc.
Helpful staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds, good breakfast and nice overall value. Best of all, is the proximity to restaurants, gyms, everything you could ever need to enjoy your time away from home. Safe travels...
We were traveling to Oregon Coast and only stayed one night in Medford hotel. Everything was perfect the room was great and the breakfast was fantastic. We got up early and headed out right away. There was no wait for breakfast.
My husband and I were attending Shakespere Festival in Ashland, Oregon. Usually we stay at Best Western there but they were all filled up. It is a wonderful property. We booked Best Western in Medford and when we checked in I thought it looked like a pretty good place. Boy! was I wrong. The first room we checked into just looked wrong, some thing made me pull down the sheets and I saw black hairs on the sheets and pillows as well as stains. I rang the desk from the room and told them to send someone up immediately to see what I saw. Sure enough the person came and agreed with me that a hotel bed with stains and black hairs was not suitable. They send me to a second room...same thing. I rang down and they directed me to another room...same thing. This is literally not possible or acceptable. Today, 4 months later, I read the reviews on this hotel and find that other people have encountered the same situation with bugs, stains and black hairs in the bedding. We booked another room at another hotel chain. It was a horrible experience and BW needs to dump this property and get its name off it!!! I just want to make anybody reading this review, keep going, find another place.
Nice hotel in a quiet little spot i have never been. Medford is a cool little town. This hotel is right of I 5 which is something I always look for. Close to a ton of restaurants as well. Did not get a chance to get the complimentary breakfast. Beds were quite comfortable, and quiet spot also. The only thing I would like is a bigger tv. Just a personal preference
This is a great, clean, comfortable hotel when you are traveling. Next to a Black Bear Diner, so food is available and it is great food! I was there with my wife on a business trip and we were tired. The staff was great, the hotel is clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a nice night's sleep and a warm shower!
I would recommend the Medford Best Western as a great place to stay. The desk clerks were very helpful and friendly at check in and check out. We needed help with our luggage and the maintenance gentleman offered to help us even though he was ready to end his shift. The room was very clean and the outside area was nicely kept.
I was only there one night but was clean and comfortable. I left before breakfast so I can not comment on that. It was a clean, quite and safe place to stay. Nearby dining within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. Easy freeway access.
Large complex, close to I 5 Clean rooms, good breakfast Restaurant next door within walking distance Quick check in and they offer express check out Helpful front desk, friendly room attendants Would stay there again
Nice place. Would stay there again. Clean, comfortable bed, price was average, will look for Best Westerns in the future for business related trips. Easy check out, check in and out were very convenient!
Old motel. I should have known better than to stay, but I was trying to be lower maintenance. The noise of guests dragging bags down the stairs, mildew on the rubber bath mat, really uncomfortable beds and an old, desperately sad room trying to be something its not. Bare minimum breakfast in a dreary room. Admittedly, we stayed 2 nights, so it wasn't uninhabitable. But we're so close to free nights, being a reward member, that I stayed. But we left on the second day and my high & low maintenance met in the middle at a nice and affordable inn, where one might holiday.
First, let me say that the staff is AMAZING! They are super nice and very welcoming! Hubby and I were in town for one night and the price we got..100 was very doable. There were just a few things that I wish had been better. We had little ants in the bathroom, which I will take over other bugs, but still kind of put me off. And the bathrooms could use a fan. Other than that...the room was clean! The noise outside can get a bit loud, between people walking by the room and cars going by. And the walls are kind of thin..I could hear the conversation in the room next to us. Other than that..It was a good room for one night!
Clean, comfortable, quiet. Internet works well. Have stayed here before and will stay here again. Don't forget that Oregon doesn't allow U-turns on its streets, which can make leaving the hotel a little interesting.
We had a great stay at this hotel. We got a smoking accessible room which was very beneficial for my husband. The only issue we had was the bathroom was not very accessible for a wheelchair user that has limited control with their legs. Other than this the room was great.
we were visiting Medford to attend the LDS temple in the area. we had arrived late and the staff was able to get us into our room right away. they were able to accommodate my request for a roll away bed in our suite. the room was good enough and the bed was ok.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times on my way up and down the 5 freeway. it's a great location for visiting southern Oregon, Crater Lake, or just a stop along the way to locations farther north or south on the 5. Clean, comfortable rooms. Quiet location, friendly and helpful staff.
The exterior of the motel is very nice. We had a room with 2 queen beds, it was tight with the 2 beds. The room furniture looked a little dated but the beds are very comfortable and it was very clean. The breakfast is scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit and breads, not bad but not exceptional.
We traveled with our adult son, this king suite had a living room sofa bed for our son separated by a door. There were no closets in the bedroom but it was large. Price was $160 including taxes for one night, which was a good deal.
Very nice stay. Very nice & helpful in every way. I asked for a ground room close to the ice machine as I drink a lot of ice water & no problem getting it. I always stay there wen I have Dr's appointments. I feel comfortable there also.
Over all this hotel is nice. The decor is slightly dated and the rooms need updating but it is clean , the staff is nice , and the pool area is decorated nicely with flowers. They have a large breakfast selection compared to most hotels but the breakfast room is very small and gets crowded so be prepared to sit outside on the outdoor table seating. All in all a pleasant experience
The Best Western Hotel is very clean and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff is very efficient, competent, and friendly ~ all at the same time, no less. The room prices are very reasonable and affordable. The rooms where we stayed were quiet ~ no upstair noise or next door noise or road noise.
Nice , clean , friendly , good breakfast , good location , Black Bear Restaurant next door. When we travel we always stay with Best Western , appreciate the Micro Wave and refrigerator in the room , quiet and restful .
The hotel is very handy to all of the people and places we needed to see. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was neat and tidy and quite large. The hot breakfast was also good and filling.
I always try to stay at Best Western because they are always consistent. They are clean rooms, the staff is always helpful, the internet always works and the breakfast in the morning is good and helps save me time.
I arrived after a long night of flying then several hours on I-5...to get some rest for the next day's drive. The entire hotel encircles the pool. Unfortunately from about 3pm until 10:15pm there was a large group of kids and their parents at the pool very literally yelling and screaming at the tops of their little lungs. I have no problem with normal motel noise...nor with kids playing...but this was really bad. It was like having your room on a platform over a playground...a very loud playground. I switched rooms to the "pet" rooms which helped a little as they're a little further away. The fellow up front who helped me with this suggested that they couldn't control every little "peep." I was kind and diplomatic...not rude. "Peeps" don't bother me...but yelling and screaming until 10:15pm do. They were yelling as loud as they could around the pool...yelling up to their friends in their rooms, etc.... I'll keep driving to Yreka and stay at the Holiday Inn there on my next trip down I-5.
A Good place to stay, clean and functional. Close to short way to Boise Idaho and close to university.Across the street is a nice Coffee Kiosk that sits on the parking lot of a terrible auto repair place no joke
Older, clean Best Western in Medford. Room are fine and my bed was comfortable. Amenities include a small refrigerator, small microwave and a nice workspace. Although it is old they have maintained the property well and it was clean and comfortable. Lots of free parking and a Black Bear restaurant in the parking lot. Very friendly staff both at check-in and during the stay. Breakfast was pretty average - wasn't impressed although they have waffles, eggs and sausage which I appreciate their is no fruit beyond bananas and one style of yogurt. I've seen much better BW breakfast, selections but being included I will add that it's good for free. On a side note, the coffee was bad - in the NW that usually hard to say, but it really isn't a very good product but it did keep me to just 1 cup. If you like to sleep in, this is not the spot unless you can sleep through a very high noise level from the adjoining rooms - and not like talking noise, just the water pipes and the doors slamming early in the morning. It was a very good value and positive overall experience. They do a nice job here and I would stay again for an overnight visit.
The room as big and clean, nice bathroom too. The bed was rock hard, we asked several times for extra pillows, but never got them. There is a pool and Jaccuzi, and the breakfast was OK, the usual. eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, toast, etc... Dogs are allowed, the doggy area is not lite at night, so bring a flash light.
Excellent hotel, excellent service, excellent value. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again when I am traveling anywhere near Medford. It was a great experience that I will look forward to repeating. The beautiful breakfast area was a treat.
We travel up and down I 5 a lot in retirement and discovered this Best Western as a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and wellcared for. Fridge and Microwave in rooms, super comfy bed and a very nice breakfast. Just a short walk away is a Black Bear Diner and so nice not to have to climb back in car.
Everyone was so nice to me and very helpfull when I forgot my favorite pillow. Came back and one young man left his desk to run around until he found it. Thank you all for a wo derful stay. Also a very nice area for my dogs.
Very nice place large room. fridge and micro bed good. lots of electrical outlets. Nice pool separate hot tub. Good greeting and sign in. Location is good right off the freeway area and next to the Black Bear Dinner. Breakfast was ok
I love Best Western because they allow my little dog. I like that the sink is outside the bathroom. The only thing is I like tile or a washable floor instead of carpet. Carpet to me holds dirt and germs. Carpet gets stained and makes me feel like its dirty. Especially with other dogs staying in the same room as we did. I'm thinking carpet could hold fleas too. Just sayn.
This is a nice clean property with friendly, professional staff. The breakfast is quite good and the value is excellent. This property is conveniently located near I-5 with easy access both north and south.
Over all our stay was good. The only thing was the Breakfast Room Staff was not friendly and one of them was very unsanitary. We would consider staying there again if we are going that way again. We may not take advantage of the breakfast room if the same woman is working there.
This Best Western is your typical Best Western you find anywhere you go. What's nice about this one is across the parking lot is Black Bear Diner. Very convenient! As for the room, all King beds were taken so we got a room with 2 queen beds. One bed had the canyon effect on the mattress so when you tried to sleep on the edge you would roll to the center. Not very comfortable. The other bed was fine. The rest of the room was fine. As for the breakfast, the scrambled eggs tasted as if it was the powdered type, the sausage was brown and serve that could have used more browning. At least the coffee, yogurt, bagels, etc. were good. The breakfast room is small and you will need your room key to enter. The folks manning the front desk are very friendly and helpful.
I have used this particular Best Western for the last 4 years. The standards and quality have always remained high. They are wonderfully pet friendly and have recommended them to my many dog show friends. The staff is the best, keep up the good work. Thank you
Did not expect the service we received due to problems others had told us about in Medford, Or. Hotel was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast better than expected. Checked out at an early time and staff helped when asked for a receipt.
Booked this Best Western in Medford as it was in the area we were visiting. Got a room that we request on the upper level. Got all unpacked and started finding things that were wrong in the hotel. The list is as follows: our telephone didn't work; one of the electrical plugs on the desk lamp didn't work and the toilet flapper was defective so the toilet ran; and we had noisy neighbors that we could hear through the walls like they were in our room. Contacted the front desk about the toilet and the phone and while we were out for dinner they repaired those. The plug we didn't realize didn't work until the second morning when we realized that our phone did charge. The my husband had an unpleasant experience while using the toilet in the morning. The toilet got plugged when he finished going and we couldn't flush the toilet again as it would have overflowed. My husband called the front desk and they said the maintenance man would be there, but first he had to go get his radio. About a half hour late he came to our room but without a plunger. So he had to go get that. He came back and unplugged the toilet and said he would repair the flapper on the toilet after we checked out. So sorry that we got a room where there were several things that didn't work at all or properly. This wasn't the best stay. Realized that this is a long holiday weekend, but in our opinion management should check all of the room to make sure that everything is working properly so guests don't have to keep calling the front desk. Also it would be nice if guests would keep quiet after a certain hour as there are people who had to get up early and with their voices carrying through the walls it doesn't help with a good night sleep. We won't be staying at this hotel again. It seems to me that if the hotel is just the low level of Best Western and not a Plus or Premier that you kind of run into the same problem. We had a similar experience at a BW in Valencia, CA. Hope that this review helps others and that the management will take note. On a good note the front desk people were top notch and the maintenance man that came to our room was very pleasant helped us out right away.
Staff was great. Rooms could stand a revamp. Furniture old, worn and needs to be updated. Bed not bad, not good. At least the room was clean. The lobby appeared to have new furniture, but not inviting, just kinda blah. But the price WAS fair.
We count on certain businesses when we are in unfamiliar territory. BW is one of them. When I am out travelling with the princess we don't want to gamble with our comfort, and we don't want to drop a ton of money. BW is often the answer.
Very comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful in regards to a predicament we had while traveling that we needed to get resolved. Internet access was good, and we close to the office, so do not know if that is true further back on the property. Two items to set luggage on was helpful since we each had a bag with us.
This Best Western is not ADA compatible. When I booked my room I spoke with Bryan to request a ADA room for my husband, and was told we had one lacked in. When we went to check in was told I never requested a ADA room and the best they could do was put us on the first floor. We were stuck and had to take it. The room was nice (bed a little too soft - but that is a personal preference). During the night my husband went to use the restroom and he was not able to use his walker to get in the restroom as the door was to narrow, so he thought he could turn around and back in the restroom using his walker to hang on to, but the toilet was too far away to do this. He had to come back out, put his leg on and then go to the restroom. All rooms on the first floor had a good 2-3 inch slope to get in the rooms. We have stayed at many Best Westerns and then did not compare to past experiences.
Breakfast is good. The pet friendly room had a strong pet urine odor. The tub did not drain well. There is a dearth of parking for travelers with trailers. Most of the parking is for Black Bear restaurant. Do not to park in their spaces or you will be towed.
We need to go to Medford on a regular basis to see a retina specialist. We always stay at the Horizon Inn. It is in a very handy location to everywhere we want to go. The rooms and service are always good.
Room 223 Pros: Electrical plugs at the head of the bed, both sides. Comfortable bed, clean room. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Lots of pillows. Very good breakfast. Staff was professional. Good restaurant in the parking lot. A/C worked well. Shower had adequate pressure and hot water. Comfortable easy chair and ottoman. It appeared to have an ergonomic chair at the desk. Cons: Pepsi from the vending machine was $2.05. There was a $25 additional fee over what Booking said was my price: $10 deposit (that will be returned to me in 7-10 days), and $15 in taxes. No toilet brush.
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past few years. We enjoy our stay here or else we wouldn't be returning. The entire staff is great to deal with. The breakfast is well prepared and a notch above basic. It is, however, offered as part of the deal and gets you up and moving. We will continue to visit the BW in Medford each time we are in the area.
There are other hotels in the area that are much nicer than the Best Western in Medford and the will be getting my business in the future. The rooms were not ready or clean as promised. The staff was not fully trained, the free breakfast was not kept stocked, the area was not kept cleaned and maintained.
Simple and basic motel, easy to just pull up right in front of your door and unload. Clean room and beds, carpeting a little stained, but everything else very nice. Bath was excellent, lots of hot water, great water pressure, amazing showerhead. (I mention this because the BW we stayed at the night before was lacking in this area.) Everything worked great, wifi, air conditioner, etc. For dinner, the Black Bear Diner was literally in their parking lot, very handy. Breakfast room was wonderful, not very crowded, Had the usual choices. Location not very near the main part of Medford, but fine for a night's stop if you're just driving through! Didn't use the pool, but it was large and inviting looking.
Stayed at the Best Western Horizon Inn in Medford while we attended a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in nearby Ashland. Room was comfortable, including the bed. It is outside entrance. Staff were friendly.
If you enjoy smoking stay at this hotel. They offer smoking rooms next door to non-smoking rooms. I do not smoke so I had to endue second hand smoke all night. Not a good choice for non-smokers. The hotel shares a parking lot with Black Bear Dinner. this is convenient for hotel guests although the two do not get along with parking spaces. If you are towing a trailer or driving a truck this is not enough parking spaces. Arrive early to get a parking space. The two businesses do not get along...very sad. No discount is offered for hotel guests at Black Bear Dinner about 100 steps from the hotel. The breakfast hot food was not hot. The room was noisy and not enough room for the guests. The tables could have been cleaner. We will look for another hotel for our next stay. There are many other options in the area.
We stay here almost every six weeks or so, it is always a pleasure to come. We are very well taken care of by everyone. We enjoy the suite, for our upgrade. The pool is very well maintained. Flowers and Very clean patio.
Awesome time. Breakfast staff was rude, but other than that awesome place. Hotel maids were top notch for service! Pool was great! New staff member tendered to pool and towels and always asked if our needs were met and anything he could do. Can get a tad busy with kids jumping and playing.
This hotel location was convenient and easy to locate of the I- 5 going through medford Oregon . The staff were extremely professional and compassionate and knowledgeable made checking in simple and pleasurable . All our questions were answered and expectations were exceeded . The rooms were clean easily accessible from our part vehicle very comfortable beds and furnishings, wonderful TVs, Wi-Fi and large bathrooms, breakfast was filling and desirable .
The staff are friendly and service oriented, the rooms are clean, the property looks clean and feels safe. There is a good size pool and a restaurant in the same parking lot as the hotel which is great.
From the point of check in and upgrade through the cleaning staff and friendliness of all staff it was a pleasure to stay at this location. I enjoyed the restaurant next door several times and the location made it easy to explore the town.
We also had a pet and there was a nice pet area for walking and exercising my dog. The rooms were pretty sound proof so you didn't hear your neighbors. We had a very nice experience and plan to stay there again.
Good easy hotel, staff friendly, all the basics. Breakfast is somewhat bland, but sufficed. Some ice machines not working well. Pool clean. Felt safe. Easy to get on I-5, not far from a mall. Beautiful area. Try river floating and fishing. Check out Gold Hill, cute little town.
Need More updated room. Cleanliness was lacking!!! Found cookies and other debris next to bed on floor right at checkin. Carpet was wrinkling up and causing tripping hazard. Bed had no spring support.
The staff were extremely helpful and handled a billing issue quickly and without an issue. The hotel grounds were clean and well maintained. Parking is a little small since they are sharing a parking lot to Big Bear Diner. The dog area is nice and shaded. Overall, a nice place to stay.
Is basically like the old motor inn ... drive up to the door of your room, or at least somewhat close to your room. When I mention old, I'm also talking about the room itself. It sort of reminds me of the Motel 6 we use to stay at when I was a kid. A narrow room with just enough space for the bed, a few cabinets, mini-frig and small microwave. The bath and toilet was in a separate space/closet, and the bath/shower was quite small. The was sink is at the end of the main room. But as I mentioned in the title, is was very clean ... with the exception of the frig.; had half eaten food and beer still in it from a previous guest. Another downside for us was we reserved a room with a King bed and ended up getting a room with two queen beds. The clerk said there's no guarantee getting what we reserved. Since it was only a one night stay, we decided to let it go, but it's yet another black mark against Best Western after several recent stays. They do provide free WiFi, easy connection and the speed was okay. The free morning breakfast was pretty much the standard fare one finds at many motels today. The pool is an outside pool and was very popular with all the kids. The one positive was the Black Bear Dinner and lounge across the parking lot ...
There are different levels of BW. The best BW I've stayed in is the BW Bodega Bay Lodge. Wherever a BW falls in the heirarchy, I've always counted on them to be clean and comfortable. This one isn't. Room doesn't feel or look clean. Rubber no slip shower mat is filthy. Four small pillows on king bed; no king pillows. Sink is so low I feellike a giant. Carpet is filthy and needs tobe restretched; visible and dangerous "hills." One drawer can't close due to position of refrigerator. Half of the rooms are on the second floor but all vending locations are downstairs. No elevator and no bell service, so getting luggage upstairs was difficult for these two senior citizens. We chose not to go to vending and ice because stairs are very difficult for us. Check in went smoothly. Brian was nice but when we called himfrom our room and asked ifthe Black Bear Diner has a bar, instead of saying "I don't know," he said "They should." We walked over there. No bar. Typical BW breakfast. Insufficient number of hand towels. Few poor quality toiletries. No complimentary anything, not even cookies in the lobby orbottled water in the room. Worst Best Western.
The room we had was very spacious and clean. Everything appeared to be new. The breakfast bar area was staffed by very friendly people trying to help all the time. When an elderly women spilt her coffee when she was bumped by a younger person the staff people helped her with the clean-up and got her food for her again. That is real care.
The staff was friendly, efficient and attentive. Check in/out was a breeze. The location, exterior and grounds were excellent. The room was quite clean, quiet and comfortable. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. I will not hesitate to stay here again and recommend to others.
We stopped to spend the night on our way to Portland. We asked for a room upstairs on the back side. Check in went fairly quickly, and the young man at the desk was very helpful when we asked about places for dinner. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, located upstairs close to the pool. The breakfast hours were very accommodating, 6-10am. Overall our stay was good except for noisy kids periodically running and screaming back and forth in the front until about 11pm. Except for that it was a quiet room. They had a good variety of food for breakfast and plenty of places to sit.
Overall the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The room amenities were in great condition ( blow dryer, iron, tv and remote) The bed was very comfortable and all areas of the room were very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We've stayed in at least a dozen Best Westerns over the years, choosing them as an affordable option when we take our dog along on a road trip. They're generally satisfactory, but vary in overall quality, as you would expect. Relatively speaking, the Horizon in Medford was really excellent in just about every respect. (We wish the pillows were softer, but that was our only complaint.) The place is very well-staffed; we saw lots of people cleaning, hosing down the sidewalks, tending to the landscaping, and keeping the breakfast buffet well stocked with a nice variety of breakfast options--far more than we've found at other BWs. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and spacious, with a few unexpected touches--like elaborately folded washcloths. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they looked appealing. Although the hotel is on a busy street, the rooms are situated so that none are facing the street, so it's quiet. And the dog "relief" area was larger than most, with pick-up bags available and a nicely mulched path through a wooded area. All in all, this is a very good option for pet-friendly traveling.
The hotel room was very clean. But poor insulation in the walls made sleeping not so good. Loud noises and TV audio till 11:45 at night from both sides of the room. Bathroom flushes and shower from next door, sound like they are in your room. Staff was very good and internet was excellent.
Rooms are clean. Use of internet throughout property. Used the pool. It was a nice break from the heat. Kind of awkward to get to but they and you can thank the Oregon Department of Transportation for that.
The Horizon Inn was a nice surprise! It was clean and comfortable. Lots of parking and a nice area for your dog to do his or her thing! Nice breakfast in the morning and the staff were all pleasant. Convenient location right off the 5. The Best Western in Ashland is nice also, but we were able on our north bound trek, to travel a bit more, the Horizon Inn was the right choice! We will deficiently stay there again!
This Best Western provided adequate lodging for a single overnight stay while traveling through the area. The reception staff was pleasant. The property is large and sprawling, and the room was average. The breakfast buffet included with the room was the average scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, etc. served in too small a space adjacent to the office.
Clean! Comfy bed, quiet AC, great space. King suite room. 2nd floor. Really appreciated having 2 sinks, refrigerator and microwave. Full size sofa, coffee table plus a desk. Everything you need was included.
The hotel was nice everything was clean, when we arrived. I'm gonna stop at the front desk staff was very polite and the lady in the breakfast room was very pleasant. The only problem that we experienced is that I had to call three times for an extra towel .
This was our 2nd time staying at BW Horizon, Medford, OR. July 2016 and most recently July 2017. Both experiences were excellent with no real complaints. The property is very clean inside and out. If you have any needs the front lobby or staff working outside addresses them immediately. We were not disturbed with much noise, unusual for a roadside motel property. Very quiet overall. Breakfast was quite good for what it is. Coffee was great and decent selection of foods. If we have opportunity, we would reserve again.
Stopped on our way through the Pacific Northwest. Extremely friendly staff. Kid and pet friendly, for those who need it. Fair pricing. Requested a second-floor room, which they accommodated. Comfortable bed. Would stay there again.
Good, solid Best Western in Medford, Oregon. Medford has a lot of hotels to choose from, some better than others, some definitely newer than others. I like this hotel in southern Medford because it's got quick on/off access to and from I-5, which was good for me on this visit. The hotel is clean, nothing fancy, but the bed was comfy, the room quiet (except for the guest who insisted on talking on his cell phone outside his room in a very loud voice, assuming, I suppose, that everyone wanted to hear his side of the conversation with his relative--no one did, though it went on for an hour). However, the hotel is not to blame for the rudeness of one of its guests. I mention it only in the hopes that maybe he will read this review and a light will go on! Ending on a positive note, the hotel has a nice pool for the kids, & a separate jacuzzi for Mom & Dad.
This is my go-to motel for frequent business, medical, and personal travel to Medford. Older place, but well kept, in a perfect location, with great staff, nice big pool, and a restaurant across the parking lot. The WiFi works, there's been a frige and microwave in every room I've booked, and breakfast is generous.
Great hotel to stay very clean, great hotel staff, organized, great breakfast, Easy parking well lit, easy accesses to town and close to shopping centers, Accommodates large vehicles, had a great experience
The staff is always helpful and polite and the beds are wonderful. Breakfast is ok with an ok selection and the pool area is very nice. Having Black Bear Diner right there was perfect. Location to hospital, doctors and the 5 freeway perfect. Rooms are a good size with a mini fridg and microwave. We have stayed twice and would stay again. All and all a really good spot!
Extremely hot day! The pool was very inviting. The room was cool and clean. Everything went smoothly. We swam & rested. We had two small children and it was very family friendly . The breakfast selection was ample. There was something for everyone!
Inn was very nice staff was excellent Only problem is entrance from highway was confusing When people were driving out of the Inn it looked like you could turn left but there was an island in the middle Need to install some type of fencing in media to take away confusion maybe a divider with arrows While eating breakfast saw three cars turn left into oncoming traffic
Hotel is near interstate. Easy to get off and on from interstate. Outside pool. No elevators though or rolling bag carriers. Very quick to respond to any issue and security watches in parking area. Animal friendly! Yea! I travel alone for work and felt very safe.
This place is impressive. For a large hotel it still had a personal feeling.Extremely accommodating staff - from check-in to check-out and that includes housekeeping. Overall a very good experience and we stay at a lot of hotels. This one is one of the best - pay a bit more, but it's worth it for the service and comfort. Clean rooms, good space and our dog was quite content too.
Medford Best Western a good Hotel to break a long driving trip. The rooms were comfortable, clean. Loved the access to Black Bear Dinner across the parking lot. Hotel was very busy, so busy was 1/2 hour wait to be checked in, so plan to arrive early if you have special requests.
We had a reservation for two rooms, one accessible. My wife went to check in and returned to the car in tears because they had been so rude and uncaring to her. They only had two rooms waiting for us both on the second floor, totally inaccessible to me. After my wife came out crying because of the way they treated her, I went in on my scooter and talked to Brian who identified himself as the manager. He was completely arrogant and rude and seemed to want to put all the blame on us and make excuses for their actions. He told me that we were legally obligated to pay for the rooms, even though they were unusable to us. He refused any assistance whatsoever to a 72 year old cripple. Finally he acted as if he was doing us a big favor by agreeing not to charge us for the rooms we could not use. There is no excuse for treating the customer so badly when someone has made a mistake. Best Western needs to hire someone who understands customer service and does not berate the guests. Brian should be ashamed of him self for being without compassion or caring.
Nice, clean, pet friendly place. Very easy to get to and close to all the stores, restaurants and activities we wanted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast offered standard fare, but no complaints.
Was here for 4 days for a family members wedding, so decided to stay here while in town. Never really had any problems with Best Westerns, but this one was by far the worst!! During those 4 nights, I had to go into the lobby and complain about rooms not being cleaned, beds not being made, no soap, no coffee, no towels, and got an attitude from the housing manager every time I had an issue. My advice for anyone thinking about staying here, DONT! Go elsewhere and save yourself the misery. Won't EVER be going back here again, and will tel everyone I know not to even consider this place. Pathetic.
The Bed was great as all the beds in BW have been lately. Good Job BW. Breakfast was very good. The only negative was the shower head that had some holes clogged which made for and un even shower experience. But it was ok. I did not report it. We stayed in Medford because there is an IN and OUT Burger nearby. There was also a Starbucks close by.
The manager of this Best Western motel would not bill us the price listed on their website. We were told that since it is a franchise, they are free to charge whatever they want. If they can't, or won't, update their own website they take no responsibility. We are frequent travelers and have been across the United States three times. We usually look at Best Western motels first. In our 26 years of travels, this is the first Best Western that did not charge the price listed on their website. One other problem was the card key. When we checked in and received the card keys, only one of them worked. We returned to the office and had a new one programed. It still didn't work. The desk clerk said the maybe I didn't know how to use it! I told her that we are frequent travelers and we do know how to use a card key. She gave us two new card keys and neither of them worked. She came to our door to try it. After many tries, one of them worked. She then said that she would have to get the maintenance person to look at it. Since we hadn't moved any of our luggage into the room, it would have been nice to have been offered another room. That didn't happen! We went to eat and when we returned, the door lock was working. This was the worst customer service we have ever encountered at a Best Western motel. Everything else was average for a Best Western Motel except for the traffic noise all night long.
Had shower difficulties, addressed partially. Priced high for quality. Location is not central or easy to get to. I am BW member and not the best hotel. Breakfast variety good, pool small, and not a lot of parking
This is the second time we have stayed at this motel and have been satisfied both times with the rooms and the service. They have a nice little area for the dogs to run and poop bags are readily available. Their pet fee is also very reasonable. The location is convenient to the freeway and to many restaurants. There is also a restaurant next to the motel but we have not tried it. One of things I appreciate most about this motel is the amount of light in the rooms. I need a lot of light to read and really dislike the few dim bulbs that one finds in most motel rooms. All in all, we will continue to stay at this BW location whenever we are traveling between Seattle and San Francisco.
Room was very comfortable and quiet. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Bathroom and room was very clean. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Complimentary breakfast was fresh, hot, tasty and lots of choices.
The room was clean and in excellent condition. Good staff. We had an accessible room. If you travel with a physically handicapped person, be prepared for extremely high beds and very soft mattresses. My wife was unable to get on the bed and ended up sleeping in her wheelchair with her feet up on the side chair. The franchisee was either unable or unwilling to do anything to resolve this problem.
We have stayed here many times before on our way up I 5. The location of the hotel is great, Dog area is great. Pool is great on a hot day breakfast is always pretty good as you have indoor and outdoor seating. Diner is right next door. Freeway access perfect, but hotel is tucked away from freeway noise. Pet area Needs room upgrades for some. Raised their prices too high in the last few yrs.
The layout of the hotel makes for a great deal of walking and even though it is only two floors, without elevators it can be difficult to carry luggage up the stairs and then down the long corridor to the room
Good stay, clean, quiet, reasonable. No frills. Excellent staff, lobby was under renovation.. a little hectic.. Easy on and off freeway.. no frills.. bed was ok.. small bathroom, but foot the bill for a quick nights test.. on the road.. very nice swimming pool to swim first thing in mornings.
My best friend is a frequent and savvy traveler and she relies on Best Western. I have to agree. Large complex, quiet rooms, lovely pool, very clean with all amenities including ceramic coffee mugs and substantial bath towels. Best surprise: air conditioner had a QUIET fan! Would be even better with flatter, more comfortable pillows and upgraded breakfast sausage. :-)
Like one reviewer has already stated, always consistent. Comfortable bed, ez off/on I-5, restaurant close. Friendly staff and full breakfast included. A good medium range hotel that offers all the basics, and the breakfast definitely brings the bill down!
We always enjoy staying here. Rooms are nice and clean. It is a great location. Convenient to freeway and town. There is a restaurant to walk to right next to hotel. Wow fi can be iffy at times. Staff is very nice. Excellent breakfast!!
Quiet and average breakfast. Bed in our room could have been firmer but slept okay. The bath towels were too small. Larger ones needed. Lobby was in the midst of remodeling and bathroom was not available to use due to remodeling.
Restaurant on grounds. Highway near, A Starbucks near by , Stripmall near with several restaurants or fast food places. Pool on grounds as well sauna. Large parking lot. Breakfast hit the spot and all the staff was frienDly.
The staff was very nice, but that's where our positive experience ends. The carpets looked fairly new, but were stained multiple places. The furniture was adequate but looked old and tired. There was a big stain on the top sheet and a stain that looked like it could be feces on one of the chairs. We arrived very late at night and were too tired to deal with this situation. We went to bed with a bad case of "heebie jeebies" and left as soon as we woke up in the morning. The breakfast did not have much to choose from, although there were waffle machines. There were no pastries as you would normally find in these breakfast areas and only bananas for fruit. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay there again. Not up to the usual Best Western standards (which actually seem to be going downhill in general) This is totally unacceptable. We paid over $100.00 for this room. Hotel pricing in general is getting out of hand. It is just a room, not a suite!!
Old furniture , smell like it had not been cleaned very well. I don't know if they offered a form of breakfasts we were not told either way but I doubt it. No in room phone, no form of Kleenex tissue. It is just not a nice place to stay.
It's halfway from my place to Monterey CA. It is a good place to rest for the night. They have a great breakfast bar where you can even get an omelet made to order. It's has a couple of diners near by and thugs station close by is handy for getting back on the road in the morning.
Got to the hotel at about 9pm.We drove up from the sf and was very tired. The check in was quick and the front desk was very friendly. The free breakfast was good and the area was close to everything. GOOD stay!
I like this hotel, it is an "old school" style hotel, with many room options> I like the King room upgrade when I am there for the week, it has a small apartment feel. There are food options and shopping a relatively short walk away. It has a nice outdoor hot tub and pool in the summer. The staff has always been very helpful and responsive. I find it to be a great value for the money.
We're traveling from BC to LA with a baby and a dog so this is pretty much the perfect type of hotel for us to stop at ... we could do laundry (quarters from the front desk ... $1 for wash and $1 for dry, detergent in vending machine for $2.50 or bring your own), get a quick breakfast before hitting the road, and store breast milk in the fridge and boil water with the coffee pot! Yup - it is not glamorous but it was clean, fairly quiet and convenient. For pets - this was excellent. There is a pet spot steps from the room for quick breaks and a huge off leash park across the road (although a bit of a walk around the block to access it) and along the river. Our dog had a great time letting off some steam there. Good for what we needed.
Prices are reasonable, although a little higher each year. We love the convenience of breakfast right at the hotel, and the fact it's more than just continental. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy to get up early and be on the road quickly. Also pet friendly.
Don't turn on the bubbles or you will think you are having a bubble bath. Clean and maintenance required. Room was clean and comfortable. Location handy to the freeway so ask for a room That doesn't face the noise
This hotel is not considerate of seniors. We checked in and this was "under construction" plastic and drywall etc. We were given a room upstairs near the stairs. My husband asked if we could move as it is noisy by the stairs. (There are no elevator in this hotel) There were no rooms available we were told on the lower floors. For people in their 70's and 80's it is not that easy to carry suitcases up flights of stairs. We did notice lots of younger people in the lower rooms though. We were then put in a room on the upper level on the opposite side to the office. Not a problem and you can walk under cover all the way around to the breakfast room and then down the stairs on that side. Walls are thin though as we experienced a dog barking in the next room every time someone walked by the room. It was a pretty standard room. Linen was clean. The breakfast room is SMALL and as mentioned dogs are allowed in. There was one in a child/dog stroller at the next table. Check out OK. Only one restaurant within walking distance. Close to the freeway. Would not stay here again.
Great location just up the road from the medical center. Was able to get early check in so I could start getting ready for my medical appointment. The diner on property is a standard diner nothing special, but still good.
Easy access from I-5, the room we had was clean and comfortable. It was one expects from a class act Best Western Inn. Breakfast was good, hot food was hot, and cold food was cold. Plenty of options to choose from, something for everyone I would think.
The lobby is undergoing renovation and it makes checking in/out a little crowded but the staff handled it with ease. At the time that we checked in, 5:00 pm, there were several people trying to get rooms and calls coming in and only two staff to handle the customers. Our check-in took approx 20 minutes. Beds are soft but the rooms was clean and well stocked with towels.
Our stay at the Best Western Horizon in Medford was very nice. We stayed in a pet friendly room and there was no evidence or smell from other pets being there. And they don`t charge a huge amount for your pet. Would certainly stay there again.
My husband had to have 2 days of medical tests done in a local hospital so we spent 1 night in the Horizon Inn. Very clean, even though the lobby was being remodeled. Quiet even though right next to Interstate 5. All staff friendly, and helpful. Right next to Black Bear restaurant. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
One night here enroute to Portland. Easy freeway access. This hotel is huge. It was pretty clean, had comfy beds, very high shower head (great for tall people!). My complaints: the breakfast area was SO crowded at 8AM that we bailed and went to the Black Bear Diner next door, which was pricey and not that great. (huge lumberjack portions.) The front desk gal said they doubled the breakfast space, but it was still not big enough. Second gripe: no fitness room, although it is advertised in AAA book. They claim they have submitted a correction to AAA. Third gripe: no printed TV directory guide or idea how to find a station besides flipping through station. However, the wi fi was good. Staff was friendly.
Bed very comfortable. Room a little musty. Shower had odd controls, and temperature consistency was difficult at times. Breakfast had good selections. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful....
After traveling for many weeks and staying in lots of different hotels we were pleasantly surprised. Holly at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, comfy and we loved the shower. The shower head had strong pressure and it was like having a massage. Will stay again...thanks Holly
Twas good. Seriously. It was good for an overnight stay. Staff super friendly, location was amazeballs. If I was a giraffe named April waiting to give birth, I would probably relax more at this hotel than in a pen at a zoo in New York. Just saying.
We had a nice rest and a great breakfast to start the next day of travel! What more can you ask for? The staff treated us like family. We like the fact that you can depend on the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms at Best Western.
Been having to make a few trips over to Medford/Grants Pass over the last year for medical related reasons, and this Best Western still remains our first choice. Location is about as good as it gets, staff is great, and rooms are quiet and clean. Still highly recommended!
I travel to Medford a couple times a Month and this is the only Place I will stay. All the employees are so nice and accommodating and very easy on easy off to the Freeway and can't beat having a Black Bear right in the same Parking lot! Icing on the Cake!
Convenient location, dog friendly, professional service, comfortable accommodations...prefer to stay at Best Westerns across the country when I travel...thank you again for a pleasant experience and I'll be back!
We got in late and there was someone nice who welcomed us. All staff was nice. Hotel is older but clean. Rooms open outside and it was noisy starting at 6am. You can hear traffic on i-5, people talking, dogs barking (dog friendly). Bed comfort was so-so. No exercise room. Breakfast included and good except waffles!
clean & comfortable room - unfortunately part of a family room with two adjoining doors & noise came through. On second floor, so covered steps were welcome in the rain. Appreciated the breakfast. Had supper at the diner next door.
Stayed one night on our way from CA to WA. The hotel is just off the interstate at ext 27 walking distance to several fast food including a diner next door. The 2 story brick building is well laid out with parking near the rooms. Rooms were clean, spacious and bright. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We were in room 240. The breakfast was very good with lots of fruit items and hot eggs and sausage. We had Abby's pizza deliver to the room, they are located less than a mile away. The pizza was great and so was the spinach salad, they provided. Abby's provided all plates and plastic utensils. This is a great stop and we will be back again. Staff very friendly and helpful.
For an older motel, this was a very good place. The pet area could use some lighting, but I did not notice "left-over" dog droppings. There were plenty of bags available and a container for depositing them. The breakfast area was good and there was a nice presentation of food items available. I would recommend this motel.
We've stayed here before and stayed just recently. It is outstanding and quite affordable (especially when you consider the great breakfast). We still recommend anyone going up and down I-5 to consider this place.
Medford along Bear Creek with 4 year old and small dog; we had a clean recently redecorated room, comfy bed, close by dog park. Everything was easy, staff cheerful. The breakfast was efficient by only so-so.
This estalblishment had everything we look for in a BW.....a comfortable rmm immaculately clean, pleasantly decorated and a very comfy bed. TV offerings were limited but adequate plus a friendly, helpful staff... We would definitly stay again
Good location. Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable bed. Friendly, courteous staff. Good selection of items, hot and cold, at the complementary breakfast. I have stayed at this property several times. My experiences at the Horizon Inn get better with each stay. A definite place to stay in the Medford area.
The Horizen Inn is just off of I-5. Easy access to get to and back to I-5. Great dog park for all fuzzy friends just across the street. Big, clean, comfortable rooms. Really sumptuous breakfast buffet.
Easy on and off freeway with Black Bear Diner next door. There is also a dog park across the street. The LCD tv is a little small, but then again we didn't come here to watch tv. We have stayed here before and would do so again in the future.
We have stayed at this property before and plan to stay at it again. It is one of the larger Best Western motels. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast room gets a little crowded given the size of the motel. The motel is very reasonable in price especially considering that rates are significantly higher in Ashland just 13 miles away.
I use this hotel nearly every time I'm in Medford, whether for business or pleasure. The quality is always there - in the cleanliness, the courtesy, breakfast, and internet strength. The location is convenient for both work and family.
very nice place ,good location for access, great food at breakfast even hotel was full ..staff made special effort to help out with our 94 year old relative to give us a ground floor room for her. A very nice place to stay. would recommend it to any one traveling.
We stayed overnight on our way to/from Portland. The free breakfast is fantastic. Beds comfortable. They are very dog friendly, which we appreciate. Many guests there with dogs. I recommend staying upstairs--we had no issue with noise. On our stay coming back, however, we were on the ground floor and couldn't sleep because of conversations going on in the room next to us and the walking sounds from upstairs unit. The dog walk area is spooky at night--bring a flashlight.
Good restaurant, Black Bear on premises, nice doggy park, good free breakfast. Some issue with check in and check out confusion on the part of desk clerks, but overall a good place to stay. We stayed a total of three nights in August and September.
The front desk staff was friendly and informative. Our room was clean, well appointed and quiet. There was a wide selection for breakfast and the food was fresh. There's a Black Bear Cafe right next door for lunch and dinner. Best Western Horizon Inn is great place to stay when in the Medford area.
This hotel was recommended by the Rogue Valley Hospital as nearby and that they offered a discount for patients. The staff was very accommodating about arranging a first floor room. It was basic, but clean. I forgot shampoo and conditioner, and none were available in the room. There was a mini fridge which was convenient. It was a little noisy late in the night, but I was right by the stairway. The parking lot was VERY full after 10:00pm, and I had to park well away from my room. There seemed to be lots of work trucks there.
Great Hotel and staff. The warmest pool we have ever been in. This hotel is well keep up and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to a large shopping center and great restaurants. A nice breakfast is included and tea and coffee available.
There is a great dog park and a very long riverside trail-both just across the road. Black bear diner in hotel parking lot. Only downside is hotel walls paper thin: you will hear your neighbors. Recommend second floor try for end unit.
We spent a peaceful, relaxing week at the BW Horizon Inn and enjoyed every moment. The staff are exceptionally helpful and always willing to make things work well for their guests. The grounds and beautiful pool are well maintained as is the breakfast area which offers a variety of food/drink choices which are always fresh, hot and appetizing. A fitness area and guest laundry facilities are also available to guests spending time at the Hotel. This is a great Hotel for guests wanting to spend R&R time or for those stopping for a night en route to their destination. We are grateful for our wonderful week - we appreciate the exceptional service of all staff and their willingness to ensure that our getaway was a great experience..
Good hot breakfast, comfortable bed, pleasant suite, excellent front desk people, plenty of parking, good restaurants within reasonable (1-3 miles) driving distance. I'm a lousy sleeper when I'm not at home so I can't fault the hotel for that.
We stayed here one night and having read reviews about the dog issues, I made sure to let them know about my allergy to dogs when I made my reservation. We got in about 8, went for dinner, returned at 10; within 30 minutes, I had two flea bites; I immediately called the front desk and was told that the hotel was full but to call in the morning. The clerk knocked off 15% and suggested I contact the manager on Monday afternoon. I fully intend to do that; the clerk said that sometimes a clerk gets busy and allows pets in non-pet units. So, in other words, there are NO pet-free units and today, I am dealing with flea bites on my legs, neck and face.
If you like rooms that smell like dogs stay there we were told they have a wing of the hotel for pets, big lie they had them in rooms all over ,terrible place. We have stayed in other best westerns and never had a problem like this .
super motel, CLEAN, nice pool, very nice staff, all around, great location, off freeway, and VERY nice free breakfast. Best Western delivers here. excellent walking path thru a nice park, right there at the motel would definitely stay there again!
When we got to our room after a long drive I sat on the bed. When I looked down the cover had dog hair on it. At my husband's feet sat a chew toy. This tells me that the room was not cleaned and bedding not changed out. The person at the desk instead of saying he would let house keeping know that they did a poor job, said "Yeah pets aren't allowed in that room someone snuck a pet in". No offer to change rooms (until I suggested it). It was going to take him 20 mins to get new bedding because he was on his own on a Saturday night. The new room...at least the bed looked clean. The bathroom on the other hand not so much. Other peoples hair should not be on the floor. Needless to say I had a very difficult time sleeping. I search for Best Western when we travel. This was a huge disappointment.
The hotel surpassed my expectations. The neat grounds and fresh look of the buildings set us at ease even before seeing the room, which was lovely and comfortable. The internet worked well, on the first try. The breakfast room was a bit cramped but the food was good. The location is close to I-5 but also near restaurants, shopping and gas stations. We only stayed one night and would not have hesitated to stay a few days if time had allowed. .
This is a very reasonable place to stay in Medford, located centrally. We have been coming to this hotel for a softball tournament for a number of years and return because it is clean and comfortable. The pool is a nice temperature and the hot tub is very hot, unusually so for a motel, and we like that very much.
On a weekend spur-of-the-moment road trip around the area, I found Medford's Best Western to be a fantastic deal, especially considering that it was very well-kept and modernized. Close to area shopping, restaurants and easy off and on accesibility from I-5, the BW is a gem just waiting to be found!
Several senior softball teams were at this particular Best Western for the big tournament, which made it fun because we knew a lot of people staying there. Considering how many rooms there were it was very quiet. The bed was not particularly comfortable for us, but we were just there 2 nights. It was convent to the ball park, and we did not have any problems. The breakfast was adequate. Several choices.
Pretty much our choice of hotels when we need to travel over to Medford for medical work. Rooms have always been consistently clean and in good repair, and that still remains true. Check-in and out is a breeze, staff is friendly. The two things that really make this particular hotel shine is that A. Access from and to I-5 is extremely easy., and B. the little amenities that often people don't think about like water pressure in the morning or a well-stocked breakfast bar are top notch. Highly recommended!
This Best Western is a larger hotel that surrounds a parking lot shared with the adjacent Black Bear Restaurant. Check-in was smooth and they properly credited me with a $50 gift voucher. The room was compact but adequately sized and the plumbing and ventilation worked well. The Hotel was only partially full, but quiet as the rooms are pretty spread out. The breakfast was good and included scrambled eggs and sausage. I noticed several signs warning hotel patrons not to park near the Restaurant, so apparently there's some conflict there although the parking lot is really big enough for both businesses. No carts for loading luggage from cars to the room were observed.
Stayed for one night while traveling to California. Room was large and clean. Friendly staff made check in and check out a breeze. Internet worked well. Free breakfast included both hot and cold food.
Great visit. Close to freeway without being noisy. Restaurants and shopping areas within walking distance. Helpful staff, especially with a busy check-in time, and some large groups. The pool was a relief in the heat! I'd stay here again.
We had some confusion about a free night voucher, but the staff was able to figure it out and all worked out. Medford is a good place to stay if you're going to the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland: short drive and much more reasonable prices. Clean rooms, free breakfast and comfortable stay.
We were well received by reception and found a free parking space easily. Room was large and clean with AC. Our room overlooked the pool area which seemed ideal until a bus load of teenagers (a couple of soccer teams apparently) turned up and made the most of the facility right up to the 10pm cut off time. We had the same problem with a load of 10 year old baseball teams the next day screaming at the top of their lungs till 10pm. This was a little annoying for us but alot of other guests needed to get up really early for long journeys and we spoke to one woman who was ready to check into a different hotel. Perhaps a cut off time of 9pm would be better for the outside pool? Breakfast was average.
We stayed here for one night. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable. We had a microwave oven and a small refrigerator. Nice television set and good storage for our belongings. Check in was fine. Two ladies at the front desk were very friendly and gave me advice on area restaurants. Pet friendly hotel. The pet deposit is $12 which is very low compared to other places to stay. I noticed a broken latch on the door, but the dead bolt worked well. The peep hole on the door was installed lower than usual so kids can see out and identify people before they open the door. Kudos for that!
great place for everyone great staff and great rooms, leslie and taylor are great employees and the breakfast is amazing I always have waffles on Friday "end of the week waffles", I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a great night sleep, a good swim and just to relax
We visited my son and his family in Medford after touring the coast of Oregon. It was really hot there, but we enjoyed our Cool, comfortable, and clean room. The price was a bit high, but the quality was good.
This is a very nice hotel with nice facilities and a friendly and helpful staff. The pool and spa were both very nice and we enjoyed them. The only negative was that the mattresses were DEAD! We had three rooms and three dead mattresses.
No mystery why it's rated one of the top Medford hotels. A clean, well furnished room, ample parking, a really good breakfast spread with hot entrees and a friendly, helpful staff, all at a decent price. What more do you need?
We stayed at this motel on a Tuesday night in August. We arrived about an hour before official check-in time, but we were accommodated with no problem. Guests are required to sign an agreement that we will not park in the parking for the adjacent restaurant. The room was convenient and the bed was comfortable, but the whole motel seemed dated. We used the second-floor laundry, which was clean and reasonably priced at $1 per load to wash and $1 to dry. We were taken aback by the $2 price for each small pack of detergent from a vending machine inconveniently located on the first floor, some distance away. Quarters had to be obtained at the office, quite a long distance away. A complaint about needing to spend $4 for detergent for our two loads were dismissed by the clerk at the desk with a comment about the price being recently raised by the vending company. That evening, after being away for a couple of hours, I found the last remaining legal parking space after two turns through the large lot. There was a huge private bus taking up six spaces, and a large sales van taking up three spaces. The motel was also very full that night with multiple youth ball teams in town for a tournament. The next morning that was evident in the breakfast area, which seemed to have been created by converting two guest rooms adjacent to the office. The ceiling was low, and the noise level was almost intolerable. I love young people, but they can be noisy in their enthusiasm. The breakfast serving area was crowded, as was the seating area. The food offerings were very ordinary. It was an OK visit, but I think that if I visit Medford again, I'll look at other options.
We got a great rate used Best Western 800 number, room was super clean, beds comfortable, and lighting was great, we had 2 small dogs, they loved it. Would go there again. Black Bear Diner we had take out, it was excellent, did not stay for the breakfast, if in the area, you have to go there. Thank you
Stayed one night en route from Corvallis to SF Bay Area. Convenient location, seems well maintained. Helpful front desk staff. Nothing fancy, but didn't need anything fancy, just a place for a good night's sleep
On our 1 week trip through Oregon, this was our best stay! Reasonably priced (mid-week arrival), good availability (tried another motel first that was more expensive and didn't have the room we wanted), comfortable beds (Best sleep all week!), fast internet and quiet efficient A/C (in the 90's outside). Upon our arrival, there was beautiful fan folded towels with one shaped as a bird! This is a two story motel with no elevator so we stayed on the first floor. Our parking was right in front of the room which made loading and unloading quick. The location is very convenient to the freeway. It was quiet in the room as we didn't hear any road noise, anyone upstairs or going up the stairs, as we were staying near the outside stairwell. I can't talk about the free breakfast as the motel is located in the same parking lot as the Black Bear restaurant where we ate dinner and breakfast.
When driving from Ashland, Oregon toward Seattle after an evening play we usually book the Best Western Horizon Inn for the night. It is right off I-5, but far enough away to be quiet. It is large, has helpful staff, and provides a pretty good breakfast in the morning.
I had an overflow of family members in town so I booked a room at this Best western hotel. At check in I was given a room But when the desk realized I lived in Medford, where this property is located, they canceled my room. "Their Company policy is to not rent rooms to local Medford residents". I then went to the Homewood Suites and booked a room there. I had a much better stay at the Homewood suites than I would have here.
This hotel was moderately priced and close to the Medford Rogues baseball facility. Just a ten minute drive to the ballpark and close to the major highways in and out of town. Nice sized pool in the middle of the parking lot and Black Bear diner on site, but it closed at 10pm. I booked through the BW website as a rewards member and saved $40 instead of using travel booking sites.
Have stayed here before a couple of times. Easy access to I-5. Decent restaurant next door. Rooms comfy but noisy from above. I would suggest 2nd floor. Staff was p;leasant upon aririval, bu outside staff was ot overly friendly.
this is a very busy location, very accommodating and well maintained. All of the rooms are exterior entrance so no long corridors or hallways to contend with, of course second floor is only accessible via stairs. The breakfast is the usual BW however we were there on a Saturday AM and it was very well attended and very well cared for by several staff!. I would recommend booking early for this location as it is a very popular location, also situated next to a several mile long walking and bike trail so if you are up for a walk it can begin right there at the hotel.
I was pleased with the room. The workers were very friendly and helpful. One thing I don't like was being upstairs the second time I stayed. I preferred the lower level than the upper level. Otherwise, I enjoyed staying at the hotel.
Most of our regular hotels were booked and we needed a one-night stay. We travel with our service dog, but generally ask for an upper floor room. We missed that there were no elevators on their Web site, and lived with the second floor room assignment, especially as it was explained "the bottom rooms are noisier." Along with your room keys, your given a parking slip to put in your window with a warning that you could be towed if you park in the neighboring restaurant's parking which is mingled into the hotel area just painted with different color lines. The check-in person was friendly. We reserved and paid for a King room. The carpeting was stained, room dated, with loud AC. Sometime after 10 pm, we prepared for bed. He flushed the toilet and went out to wash in the sink when he realized that the toilet was running like a fountain and flowing over onto the floor! He tried to jiggle the handle, but it continued to run until he lifted the top off and forced the plunger down. She called the front desk to tell them the problem and that there was standing water on the bath floor and coming out onto the carpet. After a short discussion, the front desk offered a different room, we reluctantly took it not wanting a repeat of this in the middle of the night. She went down to get the keys for the new room, was told that it was next door to current room but 2 queens, but she "won't charge you extra." Are you kidding? The desk person followed her back to the room and asked if we had moved all our stuff next door yet? How could we, we just got the keys! She stood by the doors until we crankily moved next door to another carpet stained room and beds that we didn't want with an even louder AC. The "breakfast" was general stuff, nothing spectacular so we went to a restaurant away from this hotel and restaurant instead. Wifi was EXTREMELY slow which made it difficult to do any kind of work while using it. All-in-all, not a good experience. Can we recommend? No Would we stay here again? No, we'll drive down the road first. Was the staff friendly? Yes, but friendly staff do not take away room maintenance problems and crowded parking conditions. The parking lot should have been our first clue that we shouldn't stay. Price for the room including tax $138.59
This hotel is very clean with a great staff. The location is pretty nice too. It is right next to a trail that you can go running on. The views are pretty good here. Staff is great here, super helpful. Even though it is next to the 5 it is not too noisy.
We were on our way to Portland from Sacramento to vend at a book festival and just couldn't drive one more minute. A quick search on Yelp brought up the Horizon Inn, and they had a king sized smoking room available, so we snatched it up. Hoping for at least a clean room and no arguments about what we'd reserved, we arrived to friendly staff, a very, very nice room, and great tips about what to do in Medford. There is a Black Bear Diner on site, which is incredibly convenient when you have no desire to drive anymore, but you just gotta eat. We noticed that pets are welcome at this hotel, and that they have a nice little walking trail for those doggie walks. We were so pleased with our stay that we've decided to book this hotel for future road trips.
This was my second time staying at a Best Western and didn't disappoint. The front desk was extremely friendly and well mannered. Office was clean and inviting, answered all the questions that we asked. The room was clean and had no flaws, the pool was clean and not over crowded as well as the hot tub. The ice machine was located in a room with the vending machines and was well lit and had signs that were visible. The breakfast was ok.... Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
Nice dog friendly hotel with super friendly staff, a good sized pool & yummy complimentary breakfast but... I would not recommend having a room near the stairs as guest come home at all hours in the night. We had guest coming back from a nearby concert throughout the night, as last a 2am.
This was our third stay at this Best Western, first time in summer. Loved the pool 1st day, second day over-run with kids. Just an old grouch! Overall the place is very nice and the front staff is great.
There were a couple of small maintenance issues in the room such as the sink didn't want to drain properly and light bulbs over the sink out. The biggest issue was trying to take advantage of the breakfast (forget it), too crowded and too many people over eating and loitering. In general, a comfortable room and quiet. Nice pool and spa. With a little more maintenance could be a very nice place.
Clean, quiet and comfortable. We stayed one night here on each end of our trip, flying in and out of the Medford airport. The manager went out of her way to give us better directions than what we had to Crater Lake National Park, and told us about a couple of 'not to be missed' attractions along the way (Becki's Restaurant and the Rogue River Gorge Overlook.) Both were outstanding. Also, my son forgot his sandals in the room on our first stay. We called the next day asking about them, and when we arrived back, they were waiting for us in the 'lost and found' bin at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again. Very satisfied.
Great stay from when we walked in the door...the room and bathroom was very clean...comfortable...nice breakfast (more room would be helpful, confusing where to begin, plates in the middle) ...nice pool...friendly people...helpful staff. Would definitely return.
I enjoy the Medford Best Western knowing the hotel will be clean and the staff is friendly. WE have stayed here for many years and having the Black Bear dinner in the parking lot is a great advantage. Book a room
Very clean great staff great pool great freeway access for off and on the highway!!! Great breakfast room and all the trimmings for a hearty breakfast!!!! Clean heated pool plenty of free parking staff was great no complaints at all very pleased!!!!
My husband and I have taken dozens of road trips int he 5 years since we retired. We have stayed at many types of hotels, motels, lodges and B&Bs on these trips. When it comes to good lodging for one or two nights in most areas where we don't have a "special" place that we want to visit, we depend upon BW for the good a good night's sleep in a clean, inviting environment, with a very nice breakfast available before we leave int he morning. In some places we have stayed, the BW out-did other brands, such as Hilton, and Marriott without the hefty pricetag.
Enjoyed a quiet, comfortable stay. Beds were made so that one could pull back the covers without needing to remake the bed to avoid wrinkles in the bottom sheet. Good selection at breakfast, which is available until 10AM.
We were in town for my son's SOU Orientation in Ashland. We were very happy with the room. Everything was in working order and clean. The spa and pool were very nice. The hotel staff greeted me quite often in a friendly manner. It was easy to find a parking place near our room. The only thing that was a little hard was regulating the wall fan to the right temperature.
came here for my husband birthday weekend. nice, clean, and comfortable. huge property nice that they gave us a map to find our room..haha. after we were checked in they front desk girl called to make sure everything was ok for us. we have traveled a lot and that was a first, but we liked that extra care they clearly put in.
We loved this place! It was like going back in time to the 60's and 70's and motor inn vacations! The room was nice and clean and comfy! Pool and hot tub nice and clean too. The Big Bear Restaurant is right there for meals and serves old fashioned home cooking so we were very happy! Enjoyed our stay!! :)
We booked 3 nights with a sports group for a softball tournament. Check in on Thursday June 30th Check out Sunday July 3rd. $129.80/night + tax. Paid $401.30 at check in on Thursday night for all 3 nights. Our softball team was eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday afternoon. We knew this was a chance and that we'd have to pay for Saturday night anyway due to not knowing weather we would play on Sunday or not until the afternoon on Saturday. Checked out Saturday evening, the 2nd . Paid 3 nights. Stayed 2. Imagine my shock when I looked at our online banking statement on July 5th to see another $130.75 charge on July 3rd for an additional night. We were home and in our own bed on July 3rd. Now we have the mess of trying to clear this up. Not happy with the office staff of this hotel at all. The hotel itself is clean and in great condition. Beds are comfortable and the pool is nice. Doesn't count for much when your getting ripped off though.
We stayed one night. The check in/out process was quick, but friendliness was missing. The Free breakfast was good, but nothing out of the ordinary, and the room was small. The rooms open to the outside, so security may be an issue, however, if you have a first floor room, unpacking your car is easy. I overheard they offer a "medical" discount (very nice) if you have someone in the hospital.
While traveling up the coast from Long Beach, California into the beautiful state of Oregon, we stayed at the Horizon Inn in Medford. It wasn't planned, just needed a place for the night. We almost always stay at a Best Western residence if it's available. They have standards to be met and it benefits the customer. I like that. I don't mind paying the extra bucks for the quality. The Best Western Horizon Inn in Medford, Oregon met all the standards and was a Great place to stay!
My Husband and I stay here when we have eye appointments at the Medford Eye Center, just across the street. The staff is efficient and friendly and make it clear they are happy to serve and to see us! I'm not sure when it was built and it could use a little updating by comparison to other Best Westerns but it is clean and beds are comfy. I like that it has an in-room mini-fridge and microwave. Get a room close to the pool and nearby Jacuzzi. Your stay comes with a breakfast buffet which had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, toast (raisin bread was yummy), bagels, yogurt, bananas, waffle irons waiting for you to make your own fresh waffle, coffees and teas and OJ. Black Bear Diner is practically on the property, other restaurants are a short drive as well as Walgreen's and grocery stores. I do have one suggestion...our room was way too close to an outdoor ash tray and our neighbors were smokers. Their smoke came into our room via the air conditioner so I turned it off while they were out there and it helped. Next time I stay there I will request a room far away from that!! They have a right to smoke, I just don't want to smell it...!!
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone do not go to motel 6 best western is the place to stay. the beakfast is great, staff is amazing and the pool and spa are the best and they give great rates as well. stay here
We have stayed at several hotels in the area and keep coming back to this one. The staff is welcoming and helpful and the rooms are always clean. Has the typical breakfast, which is perfect for grabbing something and hitting the road. Access to the freeway is easy from this location. A little tricky to get into the hotel, but once you know not a big deal. Right next to a Big Bear Diner, if you don't feel like getting back in the car and your hungry.
Excellent service, great location, always enjoy my stay at this location. Good breakfast. Will definitely stay again and I highly recommended this motel. Best Western is a great Brand. Restaurant on the premises is a plus.
this hotel was excellent for a family gathering for a romantic wedding. The hotel was clean and very quiet. Beds were comfy and staff was very well organized. I would recommend this hotel for anyone seeking clean and comfy and friendly and reasonable for pricing
it is a good place to stay kids liked the pool rooms were fair would stay there again if traveling through. Location worked for use as well, just one overnight stay and we hit the road again. running out of things to say so just typing random stuff now.
Stayed here two nights in June 2016. The room had a serious pest problem. In two nights there, we saw carpenter ants, a roach, a cricket, and a score of spiders. Had to sleep with the lights on, which is not something I've ever had to do at a Best Western before. There was an issue with our reservation, and the front desk staff did not handle it well. The Best Western reservation line erred on the reservation giving us 3 nights, instead of two, and not communicating that one of two nights was to be paid in points. Not the fault of the local staff, but when the problem came to light at check-out, I was treated like a criminal by the staff. Not once did it cross their minds that a Diamond member deserved some respect and trust, and that perhaps the error was on corporate's end and it wasn't me trying to scam them. Their attitude was that I needed to pay them money stat and keep my mouth shut. I got nasty looks, and called "ma'am" in that way which implies anything but. It was on me to call the main reservation line and put them on speaker with the local staff to get the error acknowledged and amended. It took the hotel manager coming out front because I verbally identified the rude conduct of the staff and she wasn't going to let that happen. So all attempts were made to make me appear "crazy" in front of other guests because I refused to be railroaded and also communicated the pest issues at this time within earshot of other guests. That's what it took for these people to start acting (and acting is the key word here) like hospitality professionals. Once the manager identified the error, she set out to explain it to me in a condescending manner all the while telling me she wasn't being condescending. My family settled in the Medford area a long time ago, and I visit regularly. Five generations of my family have been born and raised in the area. I have great fondness for my hometown and I care very much that the businesses in my hometown conduct themselves with integrity, honor, and courtesy. All three are on short supply at this business, and I recommend travelers avoid this BW as long as it takes for them to get their act together and learn what hospitality and professionalism mean.
Staff extremely nice and very nice to my dog. I was really tiered after driving six hours and it was nice to take my dog in while checking in.They called the room after we checked in to see if we needed anything Nice pool area and all guest seemed to be enjoying the pool in a extremely hot day Nice area for dogs , just wished other guest would pick up their dogs poop My only complain is bed is very old and extremely soft a little too uncomfortable
Nicely located with easy off/on freeway access. It is located away from the freeway and fairly quiet. There is a heated pool and the inn has a Black Bear Diner on site. The breakfast has both hot and cold choices as well as the full range of beverages. Try mixing the chocolate with coffee for a mocha-like taste. Eggs, sausages, cereals, etc. provide enough choices for everyone.
The staff was exceptionally nice, and very friendly. They were so accommadating about trying to keep our family close to each other. They offered a nice selection for the breakfast buffet... I would definitley stay here again...
We came in late at night on a road trip. Didn't see a lot and therefore can't comment on area things to do but it was a really quiet and nice place for us to rest on the way. The breakfast was organized and well prepared. Friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Beds were almost too soft.
Decent Best Western Hotel but the beds were awful!! Freaking springy 80's mattress... It's 2016 people!!! Are you so dang cheap that you can't even put pillow top in your hotel??? I don't care if the room is old, as long as the bed is comphy it's worth it. People are tired, sore and moody. And the last thing you want to do is sleep on a crappy mattress!!!! Get a clue!
We were there on a very busy weekend. they were swamped all weekend and did a great job of getting food our for breakfast and taking care of guests. There were some issues with our door sticking, which apparently they were aware of and didn't properly fix before we got there. It wasn't important enough to impact our stay.
The staff was especially helpful in assisting us when we wanted to travel off our traditional I-5 route and see some back country. Some scenic routes and new scenic towns were recommended and we found their recommendations to be very good and made our travels more interesting. We have stayed at this hotel several times and always enjoy the hospitality.
Truly a Great Motel for a nights stay and close to a beautiful drive up to the incredibly blue Crater Lake(60 miles.) The breakfast room is nicely done with very good food options. The outside pool & hot tub are very nicely landscaped. Tip: It was almost full each night---might want to book ahead for a room. Weird: arriving at the motel from the north involves a VERY convoluted roundabout way to get to the motel from I-5.
From the first telephone conversation to checking out the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Their attitude was one of serving us as their personal guests. Though the hotel is not new and not fancy, it served us well as a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay while in Medford. We will definitely return.
We stay at Horizon Inn often. I have to say their new breakfast area was a wonderful surprise. In the past it was very crowded and the choices were minimal. They have enlarged into a second room and the choices now include hot items (eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy) as well as the usual (waffles, of course). In addition, the rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Horizon Inn.
Excellent services, right price, and nice location.. The staff explained that during my last 10 visits I forgot to get my reward points. The hotel has a nice hot tub and even though I cant climb stairs to get to laundry services the staff was willing to do laundry on my behalf. WiFY service is excellent throughout the property If I had any suggestions for improvement it would be to put wall bars and grab bars in bathroom for older persons to keep themselves steady on when in the tub. Your stop here should incude a trip to Black Bear Diner located just 50 feet from front door of hotel. Food is excellent.
Had to make a trip on short notice and many hotels in nearby Grants Pass were already full, so picked this hotel from the Best Western website without knowing what to expect. It turned out very well. Convenient to I5 yet well enough insulated to be quiet and cozy, I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was above average for a mid-level hotel with continental breakfast, the staff were helpful and friendly.
Another spot we booked online sight unseen. Best Westerns are always reliable, and this is no exception. Front desk staff was super friendly, and the room is a typical Best Western--clean, well appointed, very comfortable resting place. The staff recommended the local fabulous walking trails, so we took a nice walk--what a great outdoor amenity this is! Beautiful walking and biking trails, literally out the front door of the hotel. A Black Bear restaurant on site, super fast and reliable internet, and we could not have been happier. Great stay.
We have stayed at this motel several times before in the past 5 years and have always found it comfortable and quiet. The staff is pleasant and helpful and it is conveniently located to freeway, restaurants and shopping. We will stay again the next time we are in the area.
Even though this is an older hotel, it has been kept up. I was pleased that the breakfast area had been expanded since our last visit. And breakfast went on until 10 a.m. -- a real treat to actually be able to sleep in and still get breakfast.
This hotel had the most comfortable beds. Room was very clean. Staff is all friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast food is fresh and one of the best we have had. Definitely would stay here again.
Very clean, quiet even though it's a large complex and near busy streets and the freeway. Small bathroom, but that's okay. Breakfast wasn't exceptional. The standard scrambled eggs, waffles, white bread, salty sausages and canned gravy. Receptionist and staff in breakfast room were exceptionally kind.
The rooms are dated but well cared for. The toilet run after flushing and the bathroom fan was loud. The TV channels were difficult to understand. That said breakfast was good the bed was a little soft for our liking and the staff was helpful
During our move to California we found pet friendly didn't necessarily mean cat friendly. Fortunately we can report that this Best Western was able to accommodate our needs. The staff was wonderful to work with, as has been our experience with this chain. Breakfast was very good as well, and clean room too.
Very clean, wonderful staff, good breakfast! I appreciate having such a nice clean place to stay! Also the price was very competitive. I really would consider staying at this location again. The breakfast was good too....eggs, meat, not just sweet rolls.
This property is typical Best Western Quality. It's Clean, Quiet, Comfortable, good value with no surprises. The Black Bear Diner next door is REALLY good. The location is close enough to the freeway to allow good access but no freeway noises.
The hotel was representative of most Best Western - Not the Hilton, but clean, well maintained and comfortable. I selected the hotel because it was close to the Bowling Center we were bowling at for a State Tournament. It also had easy access to and from the freeway. This hotel is also located right next to the Black Bear restaurant which is an outstanding place to dine. That coupled with this nice hotel is reason enough to want to stay at this Best Western.
we always stay at this best western in southern Oregon Medford. we travel back and forth to calif very often and it is a good halfway point for us. We find the rooms very comfortable and roomy and it is very nice to have our dog with us wherever we are put. we appreciate that very much.
The location is convenient off of I5. Rooms were very clean, bed comfortable, front desk staff friendly. Property is well kept. I didn't hear any highway or noise from neighbors. Would stay there again!
Excellent hotel, do not pick a room on the first floor between 136 to 142, these room are next to a hot tub especially if the pool is closed. very noise with kids if pool is closed. the bed were very comfortable and room very clean.
This Best Western is convenient to I-5 with clean, large rooms.I have fragrance allergies and was pleased that they didn't use artificial fragrances which always seem like a cover-up to me.The room had the usual microwave, refrigerator and a nice comfortable chair. We also appreciated the bedside lamps with electrical outlets on them. So handy! The TV remote was a "clean remote" which I assume means they cleaned it! Check in with Marianne T. was pleasant and quick. She let us in to the room so I could do a "smell check". There is a Black Bear Diner across the parking lot, but the breakfast at Best Western was the absolute BEST complimentary breakfast we have ever had. Juice, coffee, waffles, bacon, eggs, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit...fantastic! We will stop here again in October on our way back to California.
I do a lot of traveling for work, and subsequently stay in a lot of hotels/motels. In doing so, you tend to get a feel for quality of lodging and customer service. With that in mind, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Best Western Horizon in Medford. It's been awhile since I've stayed at a Best Western, typically staying with the Hampton/Hilton or Hyatt brands. In the case of my stay, I was tired from 14 hours of driving and just looking for a quick "off the highway" stay with the intention of an early wakeup and the last leg of my journey. What I expected with B/W Medford was your standard highway/motor inn fare, to include some of the downsides - funny smells, mildewed bathrooms, and shady clientele/staff. I couldn't be more wrong in this case. I was greeted by two very charming and friendly ladies, Steph and Kaylee. Both were cheerful, thorough, and made me feel welcome. Both had a good sense of humor as well. Parking was convenient and abundant. The room, although somewhat dated, was large and IMMACULATE. I was shocked at the level of cleanliness given the building's age. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever experienced. I'm dead serious. I planned on getting up early to beat traffic, but ended up tossing that idea in favor of sleeping in. I didn't want to get up! Overall, if you're passing through Southern Oregon, you can't go wrong staying here. Keep up the good work BW Medford, it's nice to see an obvious commitment to quality and service in an industry that seems to forget that at times.
Pool closed in the 80 degree weather and 15 families booked rooms which wasn't enough to open the pool. They considered it but did not. Rooms were clean but charges for a roll away bed. Breakfast was descent needed more protein items.
The staff was very accommodating. There was a group staying and my request for a quiet room away from the group was given without a second thought. The room was clean and quiet. It had wireless internet access and included a hot breakfast. What more could you want? A very nice stay for the price.
Overall great place to stay. Room was very clean and new looking. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Only two comments. Everything was set up for really short people. I am just under 6' tall. For example, the bathroom counter came up to mid thigh. The other comment is that the room had a extremely strong smell of cleaner.
The Best Western Medford is a fine place to stay. We use it traveling back from San Jose, California to Portland. There is easy access to it and yet it is quiet as it is oriented away from the highways. There is plenty of food options in the nearby area.
We have stayed here several times in the last 3 years, with good experiences. After this stay, we look elsewhere. CONS: The neighbor's shower squealed. The toilet had a slow leak and flushed itself during the night. The HVAC thermostat didn't seem to work so the room was either too hot or too cold, and we had to adjust the temperature during the night. The king bed was comfortable enough but the mattress rolled us toward the middle; two queens would have been better. The walls are thin. PROS: Breakfast was above average with waffles, oatmeal, eggs, fresh fruit, cold cereal and the usual sweets. The wifi was excellent. The room was clean. Front desk people were pleasant.
Convenient location right off freeway, clean rooms, courteous staff, STRONG wi-fi signal for a change and Black Bear Diner right on the grounds. Decent free breakfast - just spare me the blaring CNN! Hot tub and pool which I didn't use in April. Only complaint is no exercise room.
The staff went out of their way to accommodate our schedule. Our trip was made for medical appointments, we were allowed early check-in and also late checkout. In the course of two weeks we ended up staying three different times. The rooms were always very clean. My only complaint was that room 151 didn't accommodate my mom's larger wheelchair very well. We couldn't get it up between the beds, between the bed and wall on either bed.
It was a good hotel nice room but the beds (2 Queen Room 231) were not very nice for more then one person to sleep on. If you have someone else in the same bed as you and they move the whole bed would shake and wake the other person up. Other then that it was a good place to stop for the night on our way through.
I stayed here twice in February and each time we were pleased. The staff are very helpful and friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms are satisfactory and clean. Pet friendly too. This is near to Rogue Valley Med. Ctr and quite convenient. If you are in Medford for medical purposes, ask for the medical rate and they give an excellent discount. We were especially helped by Stephanie and Jamie in the front office.
Had a hard time getting over the top of the freeway to the hotel off I-5 (coming from the North), other than that the hotel was nice and clean and friendly staff and I was able to park close to the door and my room was on the 1st floor which is important to me.
The staff was very accommodating when the room I reserved wasn't available they upgraded me at no extra charge. The rooms are very clean the water pressure good and hot. Great breakfast too especially the biscuits and gravy:) Easy access to business, hospital and shopping.
The room was great. And I love the many wall plugs. No problem getting all my stuff plugged in. Great lighting. Nice desk to work at. Very large and firm bed. Normally I do not watch TV, but watched the presidential debate on CNN and the picture was distorted. A small flaw that should be corrected. Decent wifi. Hot breakfast but the usual bland motel breakfast except that they had a wonderful fruit basked.
I'm traveling with two dogs, but I don't want the second rate rooms you tend to get when you reserve with dogs. Days Inn in Santa Cruz was horrible, for example. The women at the front desk simply could not have been friendlier. The room was on par with say, the Renaissance in Palm Springs, also a hotel that provides equally nice rooms for dog owners and non-dog owners alike. Amenities, pool, hot tub, etc., all very nice and well kept. Complimentary breakfast was superb. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Oh, and you simply cannot do better on price for quality you get.
We are considering re-locating to Medford, Oregon and this hotel is a good central location. The property is extremely well maintained and clean. The hot breakfast is great - no need to leave the hotel and look for a place to eat. The staff was very friendly (as are most people in Oregon) and helpful. We plan to book a stay at this property on out next visit this summer.
We rolled into town with no plan and no reservation, and the Horizon Inn hooked us up. Everyone was super friendly, and the room was clean and nice. The pool was closed for the season, but we did enjoy loitering in the lobby by the big gas fireplace. Would definitely recommend this place!
The workers were very nice. I liked how Daniel let me use my AARP card for discount. The room was spacious, and I enjoyed the bathroom. The continental breakfast was very good. The hotel is very easy to find when you get off I-5.
Our room was very comfortable, clean. we enjoyed the outdoor Jacuzzi, it was so relaxing after a long day on the road. Morning breakfast met of of my families likes and the staff was so friendly and upbeat.
They had hot everything, the sausage gracvy and biscuits and eggs and sausage was great, also waffles, muffins, bagels, oatmeal and all the condiments you could want. Of all the hotels we stayed at for this trip, this was by far the best breakfast. They were able to accomodate the 4 of us on a 2nd floor double queen room, close to the lobby and breakfast. Made it easier to go grab toiletries when we forgot everything in the car and it was raining. I'd stay here again
Very clean and well kept motel, close to great dining and shopping options. Personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. Located in a nice section of town with easy access. Good value for the price.
We stayed here because they allowed dogs, pet fee was $12. We had no reservations and we happy to stay. They had a pet "wing"close to the pet area. Great for tired travelers. We also enjoyed the the comfortable bed, the great breakfast and the very pleasant staff. The the place wace clean and because it was eelcoming, popular. It's on our list for return trips north. There was a park across the busy street and a restaurant next door which looked good. Though we called out for pizza delivery. We also got directions to the health food store to get our tofurky for Christmas with meat eaters.
We've stayed here on prior occasions. Great staff who are friendly , helpful, and professional. Breakfast is the usual hotel fare. Rooms are nice and clean and quiet. I will stay here in the future when doing business in the Medford area.
I was given a room that was on lower floor vs upper King with no up charge since I was alone with a lot of stuff. Marianne at front desk very sweet and fun to talk to. Offered to get me help. She was darling....then the morning crew I had the pleasure of meeting, Steph and Carianne. My father is terminal which is why I was there. They went above and beyond actually watching my little dog for me while I packed up and grabbed a bite with my family at Black Bear! We all just needed a break. I could not believe they did what they did absolutely the nicest ladies. Very nice hotel, very clean and kept up I thought for the price would not be very good, I was wrong! I will go back in a heart beat. Every staff member I met was very very nice.
We ended up staying here as we had car trouble on our way through the area. Hotel was exactly what we expected. Clean facility, well kept pool, continental breakfast, great office staff and reasonable price. Typical stay at a Best Western facility including AAA discount.
My husband and I stayed here on our way back to Washington. They accepted our cats. Room was very nice. No indication that other pets have stayed in the room. I would recommend this hotel. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.
The rooms were clean and comfortable; the staff was helpful; there was even a nice doggy area off to one side. The breakfast room was a bit crowded and disorganized, but the food was pretty good. Food trays would have been a big help. People were having to go back and forth to a table several times to carry their food and drinks.
This motel is excellent for pets with the most amazing dog park right next door / great restaurant in the same parking lot /family place with the best food - The rooms are large and the pictures do not do them the full credit they deserve Best western is my hotel that I always use and this is one of the top ten I have been too
Hotel looks like it was refurbished from an older hotel chain but very clean and plenty of rooms. Also conveniently located next to freeway but there was not much traffic. The walls were a little thin-you could hear conversations in the next room but the stay was worth the cost.
Very good stay and very good breakfast with fruits. Good price, easy access to freeway. Very clean room and shower. I would like to come there again. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable.
Everything was really nice about this hotel. Nice spacious room, clean, and good breakfast. However, all the rooms face out to the parking lot and all night you can hear people coming and going. We could hear cars starting, people talking, suitcases rolling, and walking up and down the stairs.
This hotel works well for quick overnight stays while traveling. Easy freeway access and having the Black Bear Dinner in the parking lot is good. The bed was sort of hard and the pillows were small. We prefer hotel rooms that do not have doors that open to the outside however we felt safe staying here. We would stay again when passing through Medford.
Wife and I out for a road trip. This Best Western was close to the interstate, Staff was awesome, helped me with some issues we had at another Best Western the night before. This B W the rooms were clean but our room was outdated as was the mattress. The breakfast was good with a nice area to dine .
I travel for over 30 years with the State of California, State Controllers' Office and I did make a point to stay at Best Western facilities. Since retiring all my hotel accommodations for traveling have been with Best Western facilities when they are available. Through my years I have seen Best Western upgrade their facilities and amenities equal to if not better than the hotels in their class. The Inn in Medford measured to the quality I expect from Best Western. The Desk Clerk, Steph, was wonderful in allowing me to check-in way ahead of the normal check-in time. Kudos to Steph. Keep up the outstanding service.
The unit we stayed in was a very middle of the road Best Western Inn. Comfortable, clean, refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, free wi-fi...no surprises. Easy on and off the freeway. Black Bear Restaurant on site plus Best Western's breakfast in the morning. Good value!
love this property. we come every 3 months, at least, for medical appointments, and sometimes in between, for pleasure. we find no need to look for somewhere else, this place has all we could want. quiet night's sleep, decent breakfast, very good wifi connection, proximity to medical offices, shopping, restaurants. the staff is friendly and helpful. i could go on and on...great shower head, great pillows and bed...it's simply great.
The staff is awesome, nice and polite. However, there are lots of transients walking around all over the place. One of them knocked on my door at 6am the morning of my checkout. Very strange location. The place was clean though and if it werent for the location, I'd stay again. I'll definitely avoid this area again in the future.
I have stayed here several times now. Always a pleasant experience. There is a Black Bear diner right out the door, and not that far from plenty of shopping, even a little more upscale restaurant, as well as a buffet plus all the usual outlets. There is a dog park right across the street and a walking trail right around the corner.
The only thing that prevented this from being a great stay is the paper thin walls. I had a nice couple staying in the room adjacent to me. They were speaking in normal tones and I could hear their conversation like they were sitting next to me.
After an absolutely awful experience trying to stay at the Homewood Suites, we thought we'd check out this place. What a delight! Leslie was very friendly and accommodating, and made us feel FAR more welcome. We had a nice room on the second floor in the back that was clean and comfortable. Its not super-deluxe, but it is completely fine and it is a good value. Breakfast is simple and not particularly great, you can make your own waffles, they have coffee, tea, and juice, bagels, muffins and bread, cereal, apples, oranges and bananas, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs or Jimmy Dean Croissant egg and sausage microwaveable fare. There is a Black Bear Diner next door if you need better fare. The big surprise to us is the fact that they are dog friendly and have a "pet relief" area to the right of the property. Yes, that's not surprising, but if you walk down the little path there you come to a very pretty grassy area with all sorts of trees and wild blackberry bushes. Keep walking and you'll see a beautiful RIVER with a path to it's edge. Who would have thought there was a beautiful wilderness setting right there? You wouldn't know it from the rooms as none of them look out on this (!?!?!). Why they don't put up a few picnic tables down there for traveler respite is beyond me… All in all a nice stay in a nice place run by nice people. To me, that's kinda nice.
Upon checking in, Marianne was so polite, courtious, friendly and helpful that we felt right at home. The breakfast lounge was one of the best we experienced and the staff kept everything fresh, filled and extremely clean. Will stay here again and will recommend it to others.
Front desk was very friendly and helpful. My room was very spacious and clean. The price was right and it was easy to find. Check out was easy and the young lady was very pleasant. I did not use the hot tub but but it did look very inviting. The Black Bear diner was right next to the hotel so food was not a problem.
This is the first time we have traveled with a dog, so we couldn't stay at our usual motel in Medford. Thanks for the reviews on TripAdvisor, we stayed at this Best Western, and it was lovely. Bed was great, our dog was comfortable, and they have a little area at the end of the building for dogs to "do their business," which felt safe even in the early morning hours in the dark. Breakfast was awesome, especially in this price range. The leash-free park across the street with the pedestrian bridge was an amazing added bonus. REALLY friendly staff.
We needed to check in early due to an eye surgery and they were quick to have the room ready. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was super sweet and friendly. The breakfast area was huge and everything you could ask for. We highly recommend this location.
This was a very good economy hotel which is very dog friendly with a dog run on the premises and a large dog park just across the road. It is handy to the I5 and is clean and comfortable.I recommend this hotel for those who have a dog and also for travellers along the I-5.
Kind and courteous staff. Pet friendly with an off leash dog park across the street, accessible by pedestrian ramp. Felt safe and it is very quiet for how close and convent it is to I-5. Black bear diner on site for easy dinner solution. Love home style cooking!
This Best Western is the friendliest and happiest place we have stayed. Everyone is there for the guests. Parking was easy, location was great and close to the freeway. But most of all the accommodations were pleasant from the warm lobby to the rooms and the staff beyond good..
Stayed for just a night. Rooms were very clean. There was a heated pool available 24 hours. Breakfast was really good, it included hot waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs. Very close to Rogue Valley Mall, Medford.
WE have been staying at this establishment for the last 15 years when we travel to California from Washington. From the friendly greeting by the staff upon arrival to the spacious and quiet rooms you will want for not. The breakfast is substantial and the facilities are well attended to and continually cleaned. The staff is well versed regarding local restaurants, sites, shopping, and entertainment. And if that isn't enough they also give excellent directions. It is well worth the effort to drive the extra miles to stay here as you will be well served and the prices are totally reasonable.
Checking in at the front desk was a hassle. Checking out was even worse. They told us one rate when we checked in and when we checked out they tried to charge a higher rate. It took over an hour to get it straightened out.
Conveniently located property. Staff helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Would stay here again and would recommend hotel to friends travelling in this direction. Breakfast was what we usually find at the Best Western chain, was convenient, not having to go to a restaurant, and was a good start to the day.
I love that they are pet friendly!!! The staff was very helpful and enjoyed meeting our pets. The pet area work out great as our room was close by. My son an I used the very warm hot tub on a cold night and enjoyed it. It was a lovely stay. On another note the Black Bear dinner is by far the worst restaurant ever an we've eaten at 1 before.
The motel has done some upgrades and is better than my previous stays. Breakfast also had great new items. Access on and off the freeway is easy. Good restaurant right next door and many more within five minutes.
Rooms in back are quiet. Pet area leads to open area that is nice in dry weather, but it gets muddy in the rain. Short walk to off leash dog park and great paved hike/bike trail along Bear Creek that goes for 20 miles.
Cariann& jamie provided fantastic hospitality during our stay. The free breakfast between 6 and 10 AM was fantastic. There was a place for our dogs on the property. Black bear restaurant adjacent to the hotel was fantastic with superior food. The dog park across the street was very convenient for dogs. The rooms were spotless and up-to-date. Thanks again!
We made reservations by phone with friendly Cari Ann who also welcomed us when we arrived. The amenities were just great as well. We did not know about the hot tub, but will definately bring our suits for the next trip as it is located in a nice way and accessable to the rooms. We enjoyed the fact that we were next door to a fine diner as well.
Great staff help you get the updated information on this vibrant southern Oregon area. The rooms are very clean, beds great and in the summer the pool is wonderful. This hotel is right next to bike and hiking trails along the Bear Creek trails and a dog park is across the street. We have stayed here for years and always come back here when we are in the Medford/Ashland area!
My wife and I really like this place when we visit her brother, who lives in Medford. They allow dogs, which makes it a winner. There's a dog park accessible via a pedestrian bridge that crosses Barnett Road. A free breakfast is included with the room, which is super important to me. The rooms are always super clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly--big shout out to Marianne at reception, who is always super sweet and helpful.
Stopped here many times passing through up North. Always clean rooms and most friendly front desk staff! Free breakfast is consistent and very fresh. I love that Black Bear Diner is attached to the Motel for another option. Keep up the good work!
My husband had an unexpected surgery at Rogue Hospital in Medford while we were out of town. Best Western Horizon was right down the street. The staff arranged a room at 10pm even though it was busy and crowded on Valentines weekend. They checked to see if 2nd floor was ok since a double on 2nd was all that was available. They were courteous and helpful thought our stay, and provided a card, and held the room each day till 11am, till I knew if he was going to be discharged. The room was large, immaculate, and had comfy beds. There was a table and two chairs by the window. There was ample free parking, and a good free breakfast. I was given a reasonable discounted hospital rate. We would definitely stay here again if traveling through Medford.
We almost always stay here when we come to Medford because the kids love the hot tub so much. It is large and clean, albeit a bit crowded sometimes. They have some rooms with an extra portion, almost like an apartment. These are a bit more, but worth it if you have kids. Nice to be able to shut them out, sometimes. The Staff is always very accommodating. The breakfast is a bit iffy, but it's motel food so what should we expect. The nearby restaurant is very good, just don't park there unless you are eating there, too! Definitely a good place to stay!
Have stayed here for many years and always a good experience. The rooms are clean and staff is helpful. Close to the hospital and doctor's offices, shopping, and restaurants. Included in price is a nice little breakfast with lots of items, but if you want the full deal go to Black Bear next door. My only complaint would be that truckers stay here at times and they start their trucks up early.
Convenient, dependable and easily accessible. This hotel has standard breakfast available, a hot tub, and an outdoor pool. Staff is always helpful. Location is close to freeway, but you don't hear the traffic. We stay here frequently because of proximity to family.
This is really a wonderful place to stay. We were very tired when we arrived and was happy to see a restaurant right in front of the Best Western. We were able to eat and than relax for the evening. We would stay here again and again. Next time we will bring are fur baby, we noticed pets are permitted.
Not the best Best Best Western but definitely not the worst either. The room was clean albeit dated but the room smiled funky. The cleaner they use smells awful - like flowers that have mated with a bottle of antiseptic. The beds are pretty bad and really need to be replaced. Seriously, how hard is it to supply good comfy beds these days? That said, the staff are great and it's conveniently located right across from a great fenced dog park and park to walk in.
The Best Western is a great place to stay the rooms are clean and well kept. They have a nice dog walk area and well stocked doggie bags. With the exception of the small pillows the Best western is all ways a consistent place to stay and that is much appreciated..
Pulled in at night, Black Bear diner is basically in the parking lot, so easy dinner option. Clean, quiet room, comfortable bed. Decent breakfast options, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, juice, bagels, yogurt, fruit.
This hotel has spacious, very clean rooms with a microwave and frig. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel and the bedding is great. The bathroom towels are thick and soft. There is a large overstuffed chair and ottoman that is very relaxing to sit in as well as a desk area. It is centrally located to several restaurants and businesses in the area. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
One of the best customer service experiences in a long time. Front desk clerk greeted us with a smile! She was knowledgeable about the area, made sure we got any possible discounts -- generally a very friendly person. Breakfast staff person was very accommodating as well. Quickly got a tray for me to take breakfast back to the room. Standard motel breakfast, lots to choose from. The gentleman working on the grounds & cleaning the exterior greeted us warmly when we saw him working about. Bed was excellent! Not too hard like most motel beds. Quiet place despite how close it is to the freeway. We would choose this hotel again when we need to stay in Medford.
In general everything was perfect during our stay. All their amenities are as advertised. However, if you have a choice, ask for a room at the back of the facility, away from the street noise. If you are handicapped, be specific about your needs. I asked for a handicapped room and got a room with a lot of "grab bars", but no walk-in shower, which is what I needed.
I stayed at the Best Western in Medford. The Alter-Abled room was excellent. The closed captioning on the TV worked. There were bars in the bathtub. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I will stay there again.
A great hotel and pet friendly. Would highly recommend. Our room was clean and updated and we really appreciated the large pet area on the property. The staff was friendly and made our stay very enjoyable!
In the past before Best Western split up the rooms had more information packets and a phone book, plus a clock-radio-alarm-clock. the second floor room was super quiet as I had requested a room away from the freeway side. Clean room. the breakfast was good but the eggs and sausage wee luke warm. should have been hotter. Check in and check out were good and proximity to the freeway was good to.
Very happy. no complaints. I would recommended it. Rooms were clean, breakfast was on point. friendly staff, plenty of parking, convenient location. Close to shopping and freeway. I will come back for business or personal trips
Breakfast was great! Room was nice and clean. Internet and TV were bad. TV was un-watchable and streaming over wifi, impossible. Conveniently located right off the freeway next to a Black Bear Diner.... nice to be able to park once.
The Best Western is conveniently located just off the freeway. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Great internet connection. Spacious and clean room. We had 2 cats with us and we were charged and additional $12 per cat. That seems rather high.
My boyfriend and I were driving from Portland Oregon to Medford for In and Out Burgers. We were looking for a hotel that was going to be nice yet not to expeience (since we were only staying one night) and I always check the Best Western in the area I am going. This best western is so pretty outside with the brick siding. The rooms were clean and the overall area was quiet. Check in and check out was super easy and the customer service there is perfect. We checked in at 9pm so I was worried that they wouldn't be very helpful but they got us an amazing room and offered a late check out since we would probably sleep in late. Overall it was a great place.
The bed isn't bad, but not the MOST comfortable; hot tub is great, hotel location is great, excellent staff makes up for any shortfalls. Internet is fast and there are some great restaurants nearby to check out; some even walking distance.
Came in after midnight, but the staff had everything ready for an immediate check in. Helpful and informative as well. Parking was fun, but hey, came late so had to walk a little. Room was large and clean, no unpleasant odors and well taken care of. Bed was comfortable, with modern TV and other amenities in the room. Only stayed for sleep so can't rate a lot, but was highly impressed with the breakfast and the staff running the area. This is a large motel with a small dining area which was really busy, but the gal running the show did a fantastic job keeping the area clean and making sure plenty of food (warm and cold) was out for all to enjoy. This is one place I would like to revisit in the future when traveling again.
We needed a place to stop for the night on the way home to Portland. I generally have good experiences with Best Western, so we chose this property. It was clean, the lobby was nice, the room was fine, no issues at all, except that, because it's a hotel that's primarily for people on their way somewhere else, people get up early in the morning to hit the road and it can get loud. I recommend getting a second story room (though there's no elevator) if you want to sleep later than 7am.
I have reviewed this Hotel before and I stand by it. I will always stay at the Horizon Inn. Staff is Friendly, Personable, Professional, and Helpful, all rolled into one package. The wallpaper on the rooms are outdated but everything else gives a feeling of warm and comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable, and I have a bad back and shoulder. The value is SUPERB! The Horizon Inn offers everything you need for a Comfortable, Safe, Value stay. My go to place to stay in Medford and there are plenty of choices. You get more than what you pay for! Pets galore at the property with a sizeable pet area for them to do their Bidness! Having the Black Bear diner next door just add's to the experience!
This hotel is terrific for many reasons. It has some of the best staff I've encountered from the start to the finish of our stay. Very friendly, helpful, & A1 service. The room was a good size, & had a microwave & refrigerator. Looks like it was updated to have a nice quiet heating/AC unit. Their inc. continental breakfast is so much better than expected because it has A LOT MORE than muffins & cereal to choose from. Perfect location in Medford to anything you're there for!
My husband and I enjoy staying at this property for the friendliness of its employees and cleanliness of their rooms. It's centrally located in the middle of Medford making everywhere we wish to go no more than a 10min ride. Highly encourage you to stay here. Best value in area.
My trip was to consult with an Orthopedic Surgeon and not for business or pleasure. The motel was convenient to my medical appointment especially with the Black Bear Restaurant in walking distance. The ladies at the front desk were really helpful in accommodating some special needs I require.
Located just 2 minutes off I-5 in Medford Oregon, this is a perfect stop for travelers. It was affordable, breakfast included, a Black Bear Diner next door, with friendly staff, clean rooms and a great location. The staff were super helpful and friendly, from helping me switch my dates even though I'd booked thru a discount online site, to moving me to a downstairs room after I wrenched my knee hiking on ice, and giving me directions to get a low tire filled up in the busy morning. The breakfast spread was great, from oatmeal and cereal, fresh fruit, beverages, to eggs and sausage and waffles you make yourself. Plus all the icing sweet stuff too. Take out from Black Bear Diner next door after a day of driving, when you just want your jammies and some TV time, that was perfect. Clean and tidy rooms, with microwave and fridge, free wifi and lots of TV channels. Soundproof windows for the highway 2 blocks away, air and heat, and lots of parking. Perfect, stay here if you can, they deserve our business!
Handicapped friendly room was just right for my disabilities. Did not have the room with walk in shower, but tub was fairly easy to get into with rails for grabbing onto. The handicapped room was right next to breakfast room, but staff was pretty quiet in their preparations.
Great staff always very friendly and helpful. They remember who you are and your preferences. Good rooms Easy on and off the highway I would recommend this hotel to any person that needs a place to stay in the Medford Or. area.
Tired from travel so it was a delight to come into the Best Western Horizon In in Medford OR and the fireplace is going and the staff greeting is equally as warm. James made sure we received a quiet room for much needed rest. The breakfast was good - much variety so if you didn't like one item, there was plenty to choose from. The rooms had microwave and refrigerators - a plus. This was a very pleasant stay!
Exceptionally clean rooms and property for allowing so many visitors with pets. Quiet and safe location especially given its proximity to the freeway. James and Marianne at check in and out were more professional and welcoming than most higher priced hotels I've been to. Their breakfast had something for everybody, far more than the advertised "continental". The little dog park even had a creek running past it and was a pretty cool place for our pup to explore! The only downside to the whole experience was that a couple pet owners failed to pick up after their dogs in the park, surprise! Inconsiderate humans are out there. Other than that I cannot say enough great things about our stay. I travel for my work and stay in various hotels and can say with confidence I wholeheartedly recommend this place and we will be back!
My mom and I were traveling for the holidays and chose this Best Western based on our previous experiences with the chain. We checked in without reservation around 10PM and had a delightful check-in for a fair price.
Clean rooms, very good room for the price. The reason I gave a 4 stars is because I made reservations a good week before and phoned 24 hours before arrival. Checking that we had the rooms they assigned us. We all wanted to be close. Upon check in one room was way down by the place to eat, other two way away. I asked why we didn't get rooms requested they said they were changing out beds. We spoke to the people right next down that should of been our room and they checked in earlier. The beds were comfortable, and I liked the breakfast room you need a key to get in, so not everyone off the street comes in. Staff very nice. Just because I had a little mistake please stay at this Best Western. Good price for a nights stay.
We only stayed about 6 hours but were greeted at 2 am by a friendly face. The rooms were comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast was okay- sausage did not seem to be cooked all the way. We just ate other items. It was very quiet an comfortable.
The "Best" in Best Western describes this Motel. Checked off all my requirements. Clean, comfortable, large room. Comfy king size bed. Most of all pet friendly. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. Not just cereal, toast, etc. Had all that plus eggs, sausage, waffles. Good coffee. Close to highway. Black Bear Diner right there. AND....the staff is awesome. p.s. close to medical offices and they have medical discounts if that is why your there.
Was hunting up in the Medford area and decided on this hotel, the price seemed right. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable in helping with local stores for hunting license and food. There is a Black Bear Diner right next door which was nice after a long day hunting. There are many hotels in the area but price wise and clean and comfortable room, it's a great choice.
this place has so much going for it---close to I5, black bear restaurant across the parking lot but more important it was clean, clean clean. Had a desk plus an arm chair and small table and lots of lighting. The wireless network worked the whole time. Didn't do their breakfast as I left early am. Will be staying here on my return trip.
I've stayed here on prior occasions. It's a an older property, but it is clean and quiet. Great friendly staff. It's fairly close to shopping and restaurants. I will continue to stay here when I'm in Medford.
We have stayed at this motel a few times. This is an older motel but all was in great working order. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff was great. The wireless worked very well. Basic motel but all the comfort needed. Breakfast is satisfactory. We will stay there again in the future for all our stays in the area. We were there for a medical appointment. The price is affordable. All in all very pleased with this hotel. The location is a bit away from the main shopping but not so far as to be unacceptable.
room was clean. was a little noisy till around 10:00 pm then got quite. interned dropped me three times but other than that was a nice stay. Black bear restaurant next door was a plus. I would stay here again
we arrived late and everything was very nice and would stay their if we were every to go thru Medford again The people that checked us in were very welcoming as we were very tired after a long days drive
Convenient location off of I-5. The hotel breakfast is pretty good. Black Bear diner is right next to the hotel for those that want lunch and dinner. Lot of historical sites to visit in the surrounding area. Good shopping very nearby.
Friendly staff and good value. Bed was very comfortable but covers were too light and I needed an extra blanket. Allowed pets and had a very nice policy - $12/day but no more than $50 total. Standard continental breakfast items, but who doesn't love waffles?
You just plain and simple know how to run a hotel -- no doubt better than anybody in the entire BW chain! We have stayed here half a dozen times as we travel back and forth from Vancouver WA to San Diego CA and every time it's as good as the last. Now, with the expanded breakfast room it's even better. The hot tub is pure pleasure, no matter how cold outside. Internet was great. Thank you to Jamie at the desk and Stephanie getting us a BW Rewards member upgrade. See you next time (and you know there will be many more wonderful stays here)!
We always stay at Best Western in Medford. The hotel is very clean. Beds and Pillow are excellent. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Price is very affordable. The continental breakfast is one of the best we have had at hotels.
Needed a place to stay during my surgery at Medical Eye Center that was roomy and pet friendly. The location was perfect, just down the street within walking distance of the Medical Eye Center. The pet area was good and across the highway was a dog park where my husband took our dog for a great time with other dog lovers. The suite was a good value, clean and was perfect for what we needed. Black Bear was a good option for breakfast.
Stayed one night en route to Palm Springs. The hotel reception staff were very welcoming. Wifi didn't work and reception staff gave us a number to call their provider help line who advised they could only deal directly with the hotel staff (hmmmm). Annoying. Got wifi around 10 pm. Hotel rooms are a bit tired. Next door diner (Brown Bear or something) is awful - not clean and gross processed food masquerading as cooked fresh. Go somewhere else to eat, seriously. Free breakfast was high calorie processed junk for the most part but hey it's free. Will not stay here again.
Easy access to Hospital if you need that resource. Quiet room away from Freeway but easy access to freeway. Not far from town. Great Black Bear Restaurant next door. Good promo program for frequent stayers. Good light breakfast.
this is my third stay at this very nice BW hotel, room is very clean, bed is very comfortable, breakfast is average, will be back again if I am traveling this way, conveniently located next to Interstate 5
I booked the room because the website said there was a workout facility and when I got there I was told they had closed it but had not bothered to update the website. I would have booked somewhere else had I known. When I checked out I was told that I would have to get a manager to credit the day that I decided to leave. Employees should have the ability to fix issues without talking to a manager.
My mother in law was in Rogue Valley Medical Center made a reservation on the way south. They were so helpful and accommodating. At such a hard time it was wonderful to come to a clean room. Climb into a comfortable bed and get up to a yummy breakfast. Highly recommended.
The Best Western Horizon Inn in Medford provided a basic travel stop on a road trip south on I-5. We hadn't actually planned ahead and were hoping to stop an hour or two north of Medford but, when we started looking for a stop, were surprised that many places were full. Finding room at the Horizon Inn turned out to be a welcome choice. From that first call through check-in and check-out, the staff was incredibly friendly which enhanced the stay. The motel itself is fairly basic. This is an old-fashioned wayside stop along the highway where you park right outside your room (its 2 stories - I don't remember an elevator but I can't be sure there isn't one). The room is basic but does have a refrigerator and microwave. While basic it is very clean and the beds were comfortable. The Black Bear diner in the parking lot was convenient for a late evening, quick meal. So, if you are driving up or down I-5 and are looking for an overnight stop near Medford, the BW Horizon Inn is a good choice.
Have stayed at many Best Westerns, but, this was the first one that had a meatless breakfast. Was still very good, though. More than enough for all of us. Friendly staff at the front desk, and the rooms were right up there with other Best Westerns. Easy to get to from the freeway.
We stayed at the Horizon Inn on the 15th and 16th. The staff there were very friendly and personable, especially Marianne and Nicole. Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. They also offered a full breakfast every morning. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it to our friends and family. There was only one negative, they only offered 1-ply tissue.
The service was great and the grounds and room were also excellent. Only drawback was the amount of perfumed air freshener that was used in the room. It permeated our clothes. Had to open the door for extended lengths of time to get the smell out. The staff suggested that we call ahead next time to make sure they don't use air freshener in the room we will use. Why don't they just discontinue using it altogether??!!
The bathroom fixtures were not quite attached to the wall, I could not reach the shower head even as I stood on the bathroom ledge, there were stains of unknown origins on the lamp in the bathroom, and the furniture had stains of similar unknown origin but of larger size. The only reason I did not switch hotels is because the bed smelled clean and the sheets were decent and it was too late at night to switch hotels. I will never stay here again even though the staff was really friendly and caring.

We are very sorry your stay with us was not great! We are never happy to find that we have let a guest down. We encourage our guests to always let us know if you are having any challenges during your stay because we will immediately move mountains to get you comfortable. It is our intention to ensure satisfaction when we ask our guests at check in to call us immediately if there is any item needing attention. We will fix it or get you moved. We try hard to get it right each time but when we miss the mark, we want to get right to you room and make the changes you need for a great stay. We hope you will give us another try. We believe you will find that your particular stay does not reflect our usual attention to our guests. Grateful for your feedback, Darby Stricker, CHA
Our room was upstairs way in the back of the complex. It had a comfy king bed and good shower. There were no odors in the room and it seemd very clean. Breakfast was about average for an Oregon Best Western. Friendly desk clerks. Room was quiet overnight, but walls are thin so get a room away from hot tub and pool for a more pleasant evening. Our room was near the hot tub, so we heard people in the tub. And the bathroom vent ran constantly and was so loud we had to keep the bathroom door closed (there was no way to turn it off). We have stayed here several times, and have had quieter rooms near the office.
I frequent this hotel when I visit my mother who lives in a retirement home nearby. The staff is friendly, efficient and accommodating. Housekeeping staff is great. The rooms are pretty basic, but the beds are comfortable, there is comfy seating, and there is a microwave, coffee maker and fridge in each room. There are some thoughtful touches, like free wifi and lots of electrical outlets everywhere which makes it easy to charge electronics. Parking can be a challenge, but the place is busy for a reason. Starbucks, grocery stores and restaurants are close by, and the hotel is right off I-5 and one exit south of the airport, so couldn't be more convenient for travelers.
My bed was cozy and my room was quiet. I got a full night's sleep which is rare for me while on travel. The breakfast selections were very good, I ate what I normally would at home. I liked the 2 TV screens in the breakfast area. The clerks were friendly and funny. I would recommend this motel to anyone.
Great hotel and Value! Could use a bit more parking and lighting in the center of the parking lot. Black Bear Diner on the same lot is a bonus! Great central location for our stay. Highly recommend this hotel!
Pleasant staff, but rooms and beds need updating. Beds are extremely soft and lumpy. Noise between rooms loud at times. The breakfast selections are nothing special. Internet service slow. I expected more for the price.
Stopped in Medford for the night.. The rooms are quite small but clean the beds were not that comfortable (mattress was lopsided) ..no alarm clock..Fridge and microwave..Outdoor pool..hot and cold breakfast available... Located just off the I-5...
Very Clean, Updated, Comfortable. Great staff. Breakfast. Pool etc. Quite a surprise as my experience with BW has been spotty. Would definitely recommend. There are some great restaurants near by...McGraths Fish House really good for all kinds of seafood and fish as well as typical American stuff. Good value for $$$ too.
We stayed at the southern Medford Best Western and have done so in the past. It is a fine property and the staff members are professional, helpful, and friendly. The complimentary full breakfast has a good variety and the room is spacious. As it is on the south end of Medford, it is convenient to go to Ashland.
We had a clean, large room with a comfy bed and lots of counter space. The room was quiet for a good night's sleep. The fridge was smaller than most other hotels. The shower had good pressure but the water temp went up and down by itself. Breakfast was good with a fair amount of seating. Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is 2 storeys but there is no elevator. Parking is free but there is a Black Bear restaurant next door and both parking lots kind of blend together. Don't park at the restaurant by mistake, they'll tow your car!
awesome property. could not want for more cleanliness, comfort, friendliness. however, if you're committed to health eating, you'll need to breakfast elsewhere. breakfast items are high sugar and high carb.
Stayed at the BW Medford on a road trip. Very comfortable, nice pool area which we didn't get a chance to use. Only negative was the very slow wifi -verrrrrry slllooowwww. Had to switch to my personal hotspot. Otherwise all good
Showing some age, but not too horrible. It was a little bit noisy with the freeway nearby and the carpark on the other side, plus there was a family making a ton of noise in the hot tub. Nonetheless though, the rooms were fairly clean, so it was still a decent place to stop overnight for our road trip. Wifi was pretty good.
We stayed one night with our small dog. The hotel room was fine but the wifi was really bad. I couldn't login on my laptop. The free breakfast was a joke, one small breakfast room for a very big hotel just won't do. The breakfast room got very crowded and was not really any use at all. All in all it was okay but they could do much better.
Showing a little age, maybe, but not necessarily in a bad way. A very friendly comfortable place to stay. Close to all major Medford attractions, but without any highway noise. WiFi worked great. I booked through Best Western for the best price.
