Best Western Plus InnTowner Madison

This is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. The property is three blocks from UW Madison Hospital (Wisc.) The hotel provided a shuttle to and from the hospital. Very clean, super maintained, friendly environment. And a great value.

We have stayed at the Inntowner for 15 years, they treat us great! We have never had an issue on our trips. I have also stayed at the Inntowner on personal trips. I highly recommend staying at the Inntowner if you plan to travel to Madison.

Staff was very accommodating, professional, and welcoming. Washer was broken and the rinse cycle didn't work so clothes were drenched. Front desk employee helped us and allowed us to dry our clothes in their large industrial dryers they had! The shuttle was an added bonus as we were here visiting family that was in the hospital.

Hotel was clean and everything in working condition. Beds were comfortable. Was nice to have a recliner in the room. Restaurant and bar were nice. I had the salmon dinner with maple glaze, steamed veggies and rice pilaf. My dinner was excellent. My husband had the pizza and said it was good. Staff in the restaurant was extremely attentive. Pool and hot tub were nice. Pool was a comfortable temperature. The only complaint would be not enough parking. That is why the 4 star rating instead of 5. We didn't leave the hotel the second night as we were afraid we would not have a parking spot. They do have a shuttle that will pick you up at the hospital if there is not parking but we did not want to deal with that. The shuttle will take you anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel which we did use to go to the store one day as to not loose our parking spot.

This was my first time staying here. The location was convenient, the staff friendly and welcoming, the breakfast buffet outstanding! They also provide a shuttle service. My only regret is that I was only there for one night!

When going to UWHospital this is exceptional! Shuttle service allowed us to park our car and have door to door service. In good weather it is a short walk. Breakfast was very good, staff was very helpful.

On the day we found out my 4 year old had cancer I went to stay my 2nd night at the hotel nearest the hospital. They said they didnt have my room anymore. They took most of my stuff out of the room but lost some of it. A man with no shirt on in the lobby by desk made me feel uncomfortable. No one told this man to put on a shirt.

This is a clean, friendly, wonderful place to stay! Everyone makes you feel at home, they are always willing to help and never make you feel like they are bothered by you. The food and service is wonderful, have never had bad food or servicel

Excellent staff and hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Lounge has very good food and prices are reasonable and lg servings. The best hotel I have ever stayed at and I use it monthly when I go for treatments at UW Hospital. I have been using this hotel the last 7 yrs.

Excellent service! Excellent amenities! Perfect location! Excellent value! You'll be extremely pleased with your stay! I have never been to Madison and , needless to say, I hadn't a clue where to stay. I researched motels close to UW Health Systems and actually picked a competitor before Best Western. I explained why I was coming and, believe it or not, they recommended I stay with you! (There's a new one!) All in all, you folks at best Western are doing it right! Don't change a thing!

Sending off our Baby Badger was a bittersweet and emotional experience! However, this was made less painful by the gracious and warm service of the Inntowner Madison Best Western staff. Huge shoutout to Jabriel for exemplifying this high standard! He was prompt and cheerful with all our requests, and exemplifies what a service leader in hospitality should be. Go Jabriel!

We have stayed at the Inntowner twice, and both times our stay was comfortable and made our reason for traveling less stressful (we were in Madison for cancer care). This hotel is just down the street from the Carbone Cancer Center, and the shuttle service made getting to and from appointments easy. OUr room was spotlees with a comfy bed and delightful shower. The breakfast buffet was tasty - many choices well presented. The bar serves a nice glass of rose as well!

Very nice hotel. Extremely clean. Enough pillows for a king size bed. Bed was comfortable. Food was really good for on-site restaurant. I was staying there while my Mom had surgery. Loved that there was shuttle service to the hospital and no need to worry about finding parking at hospital. I would recommend this hotel even if not there for the hospital.

This is centrally located in the city of Madison. Great Breakfast, nice rooms. The upgrades of this hotel are very nice. Only problem is sometimes it was difficult to find parking, for the lot is not very big.

I have never reviewed a hotel - most are "good", some are "great". This was a great hotel experience. They had it *down*. Even before I arrived, I had called to ask, and hopefully arrange, the delivery (c/o them) of a large painting, to give as a wedding present. "No problem" - it was there before I arrived. Everything about the hotel was spot-on. The room was spotless, and equipped with everything you might imagine - inc. frig, microwave, coffee, etc. The Front Desk was super-helpful on a number of requests. The breakfast was the real deal: brewed coffee, eggs, sausage and bacon, yogurt, bagels, biscuits - "the verks". The bartender was irreverent - apologized for it - was friendly, and then revealed an extensive knowledge of MLB. A+. Everything worked to perfection. You can pay more, but you will not get better service, or arrangements, and it is very close to the University, and all the downtown sites. Although a chain, I don't think I have ever had a more solid hotel experience (and I've traveled in 35+ countries). You cannot go wrong here. I give it an A+.

This hotel caters to the University of Wisconsin campus and hospital. It is reasonably priced, clean and quiet. It has updated rooms, a pool and hot tub, and breakfast is included. Everything we needed during our stay in Madison.

Great, comfortable hotel! Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Complimentary breakfast offered a surprisingly good variety of food. (I especially like the specialty coffee maker with grinder!) But what saved us was the free shuttle service! We had a UW-Madison tour on the same day as one of their orientations and all the parking lots were full. Luckily we planned it out in advance and had the hotel shuttle drop us off and pick us up. Super easy! We will definitely stay here again!

No matter your age, sooner or later somebody you know will have a health crisis. Your caught offguard unprepared, maybe there isn't even time to pack a few things. Having a staff that understands how important it is to help you navigate this tough time I like to call it "Mom=ing" ensures that guests wouldn't even think of staying at a different hotel.

Friendly staff, clean room, good food. It doesn't get better than that! Having a good place to stay right next to our granddaughters college apartment was important to us. This Best Western Plus was a great place to stay.

I had an appointment at the UW Hospital and decided to spend a few nights at the InnTowner prior to the appointment. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jabriel, who was very friendly and checked us in quickly. He was very friendly and provided us with info on the hotel and really set the tone for a great visit. The room was impeccable. The bed was great and the room was very quiet. The hotel has guest laundry (no fee) and a business center. The breakfast that is included was among the best I've experienced at various hotels. The InnTowner was a great experience. There is NOTHING I would suggest be improved. Kudos to the great staff.

We stay here when we have to go to UW for medical treatments!. They are so compassionate and accommodating. They even shuttle you to appointments!! They also offer a wonderful breakfast included in your stay. I give them a solid 10 out of 10!!Amazing just amazing people!!!

A great hotel with caring, friendly and personable staff. An excellent evening meal in the adjoining restaurant and a fantastic breakfast. I would find it very difficult to find any criticism with our stay.

This was probably the best Best Western I have ever. stayed at. It was conveniently located had a great dining/lounge. The food and service was wonderful I would recommend it to anyone. It was an enjoyable experience.

From booking the room through the hospital, to receiving confirmation, checking in, and my experience over 3 nights (not consecutive) The breakfast was awesome. Room very comfortable and well maintained. Quiet and private. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING, and shuttle service was such a plus and so appreciated! Great staff, Excellent Reataurant and Staff. Will be back!

Very clean rooms (I'm a germo-phobe)! The bed was extremely comfortable- wish I could find the brand of mattress. :) The shuttle service is outstanding. The restaurant is really nice and has great food. Love the cheese curds.

every thing was perfect. workers were wonderful. breakfast was really good.. the place- whole- was good and clean. to clean you could eat off the floor. it was nice that they had a bench where you have to smoke.

We stayed at the Best Western Inntowner while visiting our son at UW-Madison. It's conveniently located near campus and the UW hospitals. We liked how we could walk to campus and local restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Hotel is always wonderful but this last stay the hotel lobby smelled awful like smoke and so did our room. We were not happy about that. But overall everything is fine. Staff is friendly and the breakfast is amazing.

We were in town for visit to the UW - Madison Cancer Center. This hotel is ideally located -- only .4 miles away. A person could walk there if one were so inclined! Everything about our stay was satisfactory +: the check in was easy; there was a cart for our bags; our room was lovely -- spacious and well-appointed; the bed was comfy; the shower was luxurious; the towels and amenities were quite nice (citrus aroma was yummy!). We indulged in a glass of wine in the bar before turning in: the bartender was attentive without being too chummy, and his wine recommendation was a good one. The breakfast, while fairly standard, was hot, appropriately displayed and plentiful. The breakfast room was pleasant, clean, and right-sized. the shuttle bus was so convenient. I could go on and on, but you might not believe me! If we find ourselves in Madison again, the BW InnTowner has our business.

We ended up here 2 nights due to a delay in a medical procedure. We were in 2 different rooms, and can say that both were VERY clean. One was more updated than the other. The more outdated one was larger and the beds were more comfortable. You can't go wrong here if you want convenience to the hospital and cleanliness, as well as extremely kind staff!

This hotel is clean, friendly and welcoming! Breakfast was wonderful, hot and a great variety. The restaurant has wonderful food and the prices can not be beat! The pool is heated, which was a pleasant surprise. Don't desk staff are helpful and always smiling. Shuttle service was quick and dependable. Can't say enough great things about this hotel!

This is a very decent hotel on the near west side of Madison. While not walking distance, it is close to the capital and State St. The breakfast is better than average for a free hotel breakfast. There is a small pool that our kids enjoyed. The beds are average and I would strongly suggest you bring your own pillow if you are used to a pillow that gives your neck any sort of support. Short of the sub par pillows, this is a nice hotel and reasonably priced for Madison.

Great staff! The rooms were clean and very comfortable.The lounge was a great place to relax after our drive.many food choices at a reasonable price in the restaurant. We will need to use this hotel again and we are happy to know what to expect upon our next arrival.

The staff was super friendly and accomodating! The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were amazing and clean! Breakfast was absolutely delicious! The pool was nice and the hot tub really hit the spot. I would most definitely stay there again!

We have been staying at this Motel since last November when my husband had brain surgery we've always had excellent service very helpful staff never had a bad experience yet we stay at this Motel other month

My overall experience was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - I truly felt welcome. My room was extremely nice, clean, and spacious. Only thing missing was a bible in the nightstand.

Stayed to visit my wife who was in the hosptial. Nice stay and worked with me for last second changed to my schedual. I can say you might want to skip the breakfast. In an attempt to be "healthy" it just lost its flavor with whole wheat on the carbs.

This property is in a good location and very nice. I have stayed here several times and will be back. The fitness room could provide bottled water and floor mats for floor exercises, otherwise sufficient.

Convenient locations to the state house and convention center which is the Wisconsin triathlon start and ending point. Front desk clerk is very helpful finding us a quite room. Room is clean too. No trace of the smoke. Breakfast is wonderful. Very good experience of hotel stay.

I needed to find a room for the night and was pleased that there was a room available on a Friday night and the cost was really good. Very nice room and amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful when I called and when I arrived,

Close to University of Wisconsin and Madison VA Hospitals and right in the middle of the University of Wisconsin, the location can't be beat. From Check-in to Check-out, the hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. My stay dates were fluid as my spouse was at UW Health, and they were as flexible as could be leaving me to worry about other things as opposed to my accommodations. A comfortable room and well maintained facility made the stay more enjoyable. They have a shuttle service to get you where you need to go so you don't have to worry about all the traffic, just sit back and relax. The onsite restaurant makes the breakfast wonderful. They have a crew there that keeps the food hot and stocked. The free breakfast was a treat. The only drawback is the after breakfast restaurant. The food was not prepared with any care and the serving staff is lazy to put it nicely. Saving grace is there are plenty of great places to eat in the Madison area. I will gladly come back, just find somewhere else to eat after breakfast.

We needed some place for an overnite stay after moving our son from Chicago to Madison for grad school. This hotel was the closest & least expensive of those close to his apartment. After along day of loading & unloading boxes & other materials this was amost welcome relief.

This is a very clean hotel with very professional staff who greet you and really care about helping you. The breakfast had a wonderful selection of hot and cold choices and a nice outside eating area. The kitchen staff, including the chef, make and serve very good food.

Donovan who was at the front desk was very pleasant and did his job extremely well! Great room, very clean and comfortable! My over night experience was quiet - I was in a room at the end of the building. The AC worked as expected, the bed and pillows were clean and comfortable and the shower had hot water right away with good pressure from the rain shower head. Wide variety of TV channels along with a small microwave and mini refrigerator. I did not have a chance to check out the extra amenities, but I saw the menu for the restaurant in the lobby which looked fabulous! I wish I would have had a chance to eat there!

This was one of the best hotels EVER!!! It is very very very clean, employees are amazing. They have an onsite restaurant that has delicious food and there was a GREAT free breakfast buffet. Our room was very clean, very well appointed, oh and did I say it is very clean? You must mask here but it is close to the hospital, and it is to help keep everyone safe which was fine with us. It is hard to get a 1st floor room as there are not many and most used by hospital visitors which made it a little harder for us as seniors to manage our luggage/luggage rack, etc. in the elevator but that was ok :-) Truly, you will not be disappointed with this hotel. It is not off the freeway though so we had to travel a bit to downtown to find the hotel, but the downtown area is very clean and very pretty too. I had not seen downtown Madison before - it was lovely!! Thank you, Best Western for an A plus stay with wonderful staff and cleanliness!!!!

Room was very clean. Check in and check out very easy. Masked were required on July 22nd, 23rd and 24th. I had friends stay at a different hotel in Madison and they had no mask requirements. Park can be an issue at this hotel.

The staff was friendly, helpful and answered questions quickly and with knowledge, the breakfast had a good variety to choose hot or cold Items with a nice choice of breakfast juices. Will stay here again.

This is the GO TO place to stay if you are visiting someone in the hospital. Excellent hotel, great location, within walking distance to the hospitals, great breakfast, generally enough room to sit on the breakfast lounge.

Excellent Hotel!!! Breakfast was great, the hotel was clean, and our shuttle driver John was wonderful. We were in town for a bicycling wedding and had a blast biking around town and visiting the farmers market Saturday morning. The hotel was kind enough to give us a later check out so that we could get some more biking in on our last day.

Dumpy place, staff is rude, rooms are dirty, hallway smells. The outside is not kept up and the pool is gross. I would never stay here again. I wish I had know I would have picked another hotel there are plenty of choices and this will not be one of them in the future.

With this hotel's affiliation with UW Hospital & Clinics in Madison, it is extremely clean and well-managed. Breakfast is one of the best with many hot & cold choices with excellent service! We recommend this to many others as is close proximity to medical facilities and all other aspects in Madison.

We switched hotels after 3 nights, if they would've worked with payment We would've stayed for the duration. Otherwise, hotel a bit outdated, but clean and food wonderful, vending machine out of all flavored water

Excellent overnight experience at the hotel. We stayed here for graduation a few weeks prior, and based on that positive experience, we stayed here again to kickoff a family vacation in Wisconsin and Michigan. Once again, the hotel staff and accommodations did not disappoint. Highly recommend eating breakfast outside at the hotel's seating area along University Avenue. Will stay again in the future!

We stay here a couple of times a year...our daughter lives nearby. What a great little hotel - about 20 minutes from the airport. Clean, comfortable, decent hot breakfast. We had a room with two queens - VERY comfortable beds. The rooms have a frig and microwave. They have a little sundries shop...or if you want a bit more selection, there is a few things within an easy walk away - a bp gas station, a liquor store and the "Blue Moon" pub. The hospital is also within walking distrance. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a small fitness center and pool. Parking can be tight if the hotel is full but the staff is very helpful working that out. Great value for the money!

Avoid at all cost. In Madison for 4 days for our son's graduation. The room wasn't made up once the entire time, when we asked for the room to be serviced we found a single roll of TP in the hallway in front of the door. Staff is rude, their free breakfast is a joke, the eggs are soggy and ice cold when they come out of the kitchen. Madison has a lot of different hotel options, do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Located a short (8 minute) walk from UW Health but they do have shuttle service to quickly take you there. Rooms are clean and comfy; staff is wonderful, and the Highland Corner Grill is an added bonus with excellent food and service.

This hotel has a deal on their website that indicates, If you can find a different hotel within a certain radius of the hotel, they will price match that rate and give you an additional 10% off. This was posted on their website, when we called and asked about this deal, as we had found a hotel within that radius for a much better rate, we were not only laughed at but told the hotel is a private business and they have no obligation to follow through with the deals they post on their website. The manager was cocky and conceited, refused to give us the rate or any kind of deal, and essentially told us he could do whatever he wanted because it was his hotel. Terrible customer service and no customer loyalty, if they don't want people to use this deal then why is it posted on the website in the first place? There are plenty of other hotels that are honest and make a point to follow through on their promotions, this is not one of them.

It was a great stay for me and my family my son had so much fun in the room and had an amazing time in the pool we also had dinner in their restaurant and their food was really good excellent service excellent staff I will definitely be visiting this place again me and my family had so much fun.

Booked this Hotel as my wife was having surgery at the University Hospital early in the morning. The staff was great. We had a shuttle take us to the hospital at 5:00 am. I cam e back later and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as well as the work out facilities. The staff let me know that I could get a late checkout. Waiting at the Hotel was much better than the hours in the waiting room. I was able to check out at 2, my wife's surgery went until 5 pm. All of this, and I was also given a discounted rate because of the Hospital visit. Wonderful! Thank you very much!

Was scheduled for an early morning procedure at UW and arrived at Best Western the day before, as I live about 90 miles from Madison. Staff accommodated me by arranging taxi ride/shuttle to and from hotel to UW, so I was able to leave my car in their parking lot. AND the Highland Corner Grill has an outstanding menu offering, along with wait staff, chef and manager. This restaurant was excellent and will be a destination stop for dinner the next time I come to Madison.

My stay was excellent. Staff provided an accessible room for my elderly father. The restaurant was excellent both for dinner and for the complimentary breakfast. The food was great, and the staff was friendly and extremely attentive. The hotel store provided me with additional snacks that I could take with me to the hospital. The hotel's proximity to the hospital is wonderful and made my daily visits to the hospital less stressful. In addition, the staff was very responsive when I needed to extend my stay twice during my visit. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who is visiting UW Hospital in Madison.

Good value for money. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi. Fast check-in and check out. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Great location for visiting UW-campus/hospitals or just exploring Madison. Ideal for small meetings/conferences. May need to fix noisy A/Cs and toilet flushings.

This motel is easy for a stranger to find. The hospital can book your room at a lower rate than others. Shuttle service is provided so you don't have to find the way, a parking place, or walk very far. I had a problem with getting the shuttle back from the hospital and was upset. The Hospital also tried with no success, so the hospital paid for a taxi to take me back to the motel. Found out later that the telephone service was out at that time, so the problem was the telephone company, not the motel.. Great Breakfast and extra special waitresses who see situations ahead of time and react so there are no problems. Comfortable beds, but high if you are short or handicapped. Others are available. Very good place to stay.

Was here just for one night. The pool and fitness center was great. There's a whirlpool so that was really relaxing. The treadmill was not working but that didn't stop me from using the weights. The room was very accommodating although it was two beds and only me.

We had a nice clean room with friendly staff. I was happy to see people wear masks for the most part related to so many Hospital people there. Worth staying. Food was also good. The bed was a bit hard but it was okay. The cheese curds were cold and nasty but normally are amazing.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We were disappointed that the hot tub was out of order as that was one of the main reasons we chose it. There was a shuttle that ran within a 2 mile radius. That came in handy!

We stayed in two adjoining rooms and they had a free shuttle over to the games. We ate twice at the restaurant and it was very good. The breakfast was also very good and was kept clean and safe. the staff was always helpful answering any of our questions.

Having this hotel so close to the hospital is wonderful, and being able to take the shuttle over for appts. The staff is always very friendly and the rooms are very nice and clean. The restaurant downstairs has quick service and the food is great. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Staff was horrible not polite or honest. Kept lying to us about both rooms available and when the hot tub would be open after 12 kids got sick from a birthday party Stayed 2 nights and never got to use it and i need it for my disability

I really like this hotel it's so convenient and close to everything. The front desk people are college age I'm assuming and they are all really nice. The female that checked us in was really helpful in asking if we needed a wake up call or their free shuttle service for the appointment the next day. It was so refreshing not to be ignored by our younger generation!

Great access to the hospital and close to downtown Madison. This is a modern, clean hotel, but you pay a premium because it is with walking distance to the UW hospital. Rooms are a touch small but nicely appointed. Great staff! I had two problems (not related to the hotel) and the staff graciously helped me get them resolved with a smile!

Front desk people were very helpful I needed a wheelchair for my husband and the h d one I could. Use All so neednd a good place to order pizza and they helped with that A wonderful place to stay I would highly recommend

Nice location near UW, UW Hospital, and downtown (and to the west side). New Pasture and Plenty local food restaurant across the street, Barrique's Coffee kitty corner and Lombardino's classic Italian within footsteps. 7-11 2 blocks away. Great in city location without the downtown Madison prices. Remodelled rooms are nice but a tad dark and narrow. Free (free) laundry--leave your quarters at home. Nice business center/study on 4th floor. Highlands Restaurant and Bar alot of fun and very handy. Breakfast good but not great. Recommended.

everyone is extremely helpful with any needs. we used the shuttle service to the clinic and back which was very easy to set up to the clinic and back. we will be staying when we come down for appointments again.

We had an unexpected arrival change, and the hotel immediately accommodated our needs. Because we were traveling for medical reasons, we were able to enjoy an unexpected discount. We were not aware of this, and for the employee to inform us was wonderful. It's the unexpected that means so much. We can't say thank you enough.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Very nicely furnished rooms with Keurig coffee maker and probably the best clock radio I have ever seen in a hotel room. All the other usual features including micro and fridge. But the big difference is the complimentary shuttle with a two mile radius. Another "Best kept secret" is their Highland Corner Grill. Cozy bar and a nice selection of food. Everything from the Badger Burger, to steaks, sandwiches, seafood and even pizza. We have tried many items without disappointment. Served in house or room service. We have stayed at this hotel many times and highly recommend for all the reasons above. And it's convenient location for Badger events.

This hotel hit the mark with location, convenience, price. The room was excellent - better than I had anticipated. I will definitely stay again on my next visit to Madison. Madison's excellent public bus system had a stop right outside the door

We had to visit the University of Madison Hospital and the Best Western was suggested to us. The patient rate was very nice. Clean environment and helpful staff. The Continental breakfast was a lot better than most places. They have a pool and a small fitness center that are both very clean. The shuttle service to the hospital was so very helpful. They even took us to the museum in our down time.

Went to visit my son at UWMadison. Great location. Close to Camp Randall, walking distance to the school. Clean and updated rooms, Needed to change my reservation last minute and the staff was very accommodating.Will definitely stay here over the next four years.

I have stayed here for years when I come for doctors appointments for my daughter at UW Children's hospital. Always have had great experiences. However this time my room was on third floor as far away from the elevator as there is- a bit of a struggle for me alone with my daughter but I managed. But... super super disappointed that in the last hour (9-10pm) the train had gone by 3 times and sounding its horn at the cross section for a lengthy period of time. It's incredibly loud and a nightmare for me trying to have my daughter who has a full day of dctr apts scheduled tomorrow- no way you can sleep through this even with my sound machine cranked. I have never heard the train here before- not sure if it's where my room is placed, or train schedule change but I would not recommend this situation.

I received bed bug bites after staying in this hotel and attempted to reach out to the management to request an inspection be done. Unfortunately, management didn't call me back - I had to call again the next day and was told that an inspection hadn't even been done yet, possibly putting other guests in the same situation I'm in. 30 minutes later, the manager called me back to let me know he'd done a visual inspection and saw no bugs. I asked that he call an actual pest company as my bites were quite extensive and are 100% bed bug bites. He declined and denied my refund. I now am dealing with the discomfort of the bites and spending a large amount of money on having my home inspected by professionals, something this hotel didn't even do. Based on my experience, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

We visited our son at Uw-Madison. We were 7 blocks from his dorm. There were restaurants, shops and the campus all nearby. Place was clean, offered great breakfast, fast check in and late check out. We will defiantely stay here again.

The pool was cold, hot tub was cool too. Sad. I was there for medical reasons, Found the smells of the cleaning products very strong in hallway and room, Room Fan would not shut off, Very quiet though, nice location in city, great shuttle, good staff,

Overall satisfied with weekend stay for hubbys 55 bday. Pleasantly surprised with assignment in 1 (#141 2 Q bed) of the 2 poolside rooms. 6am pool opening did mean noise early. We were very happy with the powerful hot tub jets and the convenience to utilize. Pool cleanliness lacked. Staff were alerted. Beds firm, but had pillow top. They also sit high so climbing in is an understatement. Covid still affecting breakfast, but had adequate to go style options. Tiny bathroom, door bangs into loose elongated toilet, 18 inch stand space between shower door and toilet for closing. Toilets are loud At night from above neighbors. We must have had folks, possible elders due to multiple flushes all night, that had issues. Wall units for closet, fridge/micro, desk, and tv have a light switch that blends into to the dark wood tone. Took us some time to locate how to get more light from overhead pucks even with bedside lamps and the floor lamp on. P.S. is by the desk on back wall. Desk on wheels pulls out from unit and makes a good LARGE side table after moving chair aside. Lights stay on in pool area all night and curtains don't quite make edges dark. Used floor lamp to hold one side and desk chair for other side for better coverage. Tv watching only good from bed closest to pool due to wall unit configuration.

I recently traveled to Madison, WI for a business trip to visit faculty at the University of Wisconsin campus, and the BW InnTowner was recommended by my university contacts. What a fantastic recommendation! This hotel is really clean and well-run, and the staff was so friendly that I felt right at home the minute I checked in. At the front desk, Vivian helped answer all my questions with professionalism and personality plus during my stay. She really made me feel like family! The 2-mile radius shuttle service was a fantastic bonus, and one of the drivers, Vieux, even showed me points of interest ala tour-guide-style on the way to campus, which was awesome as I had never been to Madison before. And the in-hotel restaurant was really one of the best hotel dining experiences I've had in a long time, so a big shoutout to food and beverage manager Fredit, who served me and a colleague the best shrimp tacos ever (and that's high praise coming from this West Coast gal)! All in all, I highly recommend the BW InnTowner the next time your'e in Madison!

Comfortable hotel Pleasant and helpful staff. Convenient to the UW Hospital and UW Madison campus. Every time my wife and I go to Madison, WI for regular doctor appointments, we stay at ther Best Western Plus Inntowner.

Great hotel. Really close to the uwch and easy access to the hospital aswell. My son had surgery and it was nice to be able to stay close to him. As well as the price accommodation for patients in the hospital. Great experience. Wish the restroom in the hotel room was a little bit bigger and also wish it had a bath/shower combo.

We found the courtesy of the hotel staff to be the best we've seen in decades. And the quality of the rooms was great for this price. But, we couldn't believe we got the meal we did at the restaurant for as little as it cost. The burgers were excellent and the cheese curds were probably the best we've ever had. And, for a family of 4, our bill was only in the $50s. We were taken aback at the good deal we had gotten.

Because of close proximity to medical facilities, management should be training front desk people to be aware of guests with disabilities in relation to room locations and how to offer assistance. Room 342 was not large enough for 2 queen size beds, very difficult to put things in closet.

I travel here for medical visits at UWHEALTH and they provide transportation tonand from the hospital. The rooms are always clean here. The front desk is always kind. And the restaurant inside has delicious food. The grounds are always well taken care of.

We stay at this property, distance to UW Hospital is very convenient. Close to the University, and The Capital. The free breakfast buffet is a great start for your day. Dinner choices are all so good. The staff is amazing!!!

Quality of room, service, and amenities are first class! Comfortable bed with extra linens; fridge, microwave, coffee available; ice machines conveniently located; hot tub and pool at optimal temperatures and clean; restaurant food conveniently delivered to room and excellent quality!!! I would definitely stay there again! Less than a quarter mile from UWHealth Hospital.

I was staying as my wife was in the hospital. The location was perfect, minutes away from the hospital. Clean room. It was never a problem to add on a night last minute. Staff was great to work with as well.

Clean and comfortable rooms, free breakfast, amazing restaurant for dinner, free shuttle, late check-out, pool and work out facilities. There is not much more you could need during your time away from home.

Very accommodating if you are in the area for UWHealth Hospital emergencies or appointments! They go above and beyond. Great place when an overnight stay is required. The Covid precautions were very comforting to know how much they follow the CDC guidelines, above and beyond!

The Best Western by the hospital was instrumental in my efficient service at the UW Medical clinic and hospital surgery with their shuttle to the hospital facilities and the timing of the service. The one time the shuttle was not available at 6AM a cab was provided by Best Western by providing a cab free of charge!

We were in town for my wife's surgery so the location to the hospital was great. The room service menu was good. However we were disappointed in the room quality for the price. We had a king suite with a hefty price tag. The couch and bed were severely sunken in. The bed was also very lumpy. The pillows were lumpy like the stuffing was all clumped and no cushion to them. Our shower curtain was ripped all the way across the top and the shower was barely enough room to move around. Smaller than a normal single stand up shower. Also we requested a new set of bed sheets at 5:30am one morning due to getting stained from surgery preparation and when we got back to the hotel at 9pm there were still no new bed sheets left outside or inside of the room. For the price tag we paid, we anticipated the room quality to be higher.

This is an excellent place to stay prior to an early morning appointment at the UW Carbone Center. You should include MEDICAL in the choices of the sort of trip. I wouldn't really call it business or pleasure.

Great hotel! It's super close to UW hospital, City Center, West Towne, Hilldale & Greenway Station shopping centers! And wonderful customer service! I was here for six weeks of radiation treatments at UW Hospital & thoroughly enjoyed staying here!

Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. We had hospital business the day before and were looking forward to a hot breakfast the next morning but the only options were a bagel or cold cereal. I was told it must have been an “off” day. That was the only disappointment we had with our stay.

I had 2 small problems during my stay. My room had a heating/air conditioning problem. Opposed to calling the front desk, I went back down to tell them personally. By the time I stepped outside to put the parking pass in my car, I had a bigger, better room. I booked a 2 night stay. Unexpectedly I had to stay the night at UW hospital, and was only charged 1 night, and they held my room so that I could pick up my belongings the next day well after check-out time.

Amazing fast check in. The were right down the road from the hospital I was getting surgery in. They also provided free shuttle service to hospital! There was a restaurant in the hotel that was open for room service only due to Covid. They had safe breakfast restriction in the morning as well, but kept us fed! Clean rooms, nice showers, updated tv, secure internet. 5* for the location and price.

The inn is very beautifully decorated. It has been recently updated. Looks new. We ordered room service. The food was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The shuttle is a wonderful asset. So handy for getting to appointments at VA and UW.

This is a very nice hotel and took the necessary precautions with the COVID protocols. The room was comfortable and they had a sheet for local restaurants that would deliver as well as the in house restaurant.

We stayed here for 5 weeks, as we had family in the hospital. The room rivaled that of a much more expensive hotel. The food was incredible. The staff, knowing our situation, was kind and compassionate. One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

We came to Madison specifically to eat at Smokey's Supper Club and have a romantic evening. The location was perfect. The bed was very clean. The room was quiet. The lobby is very pretty. Staff was fantastically friendly and helpful. The room smelled a little musty.

Everything work good in the building The pool was shut down and the restaurant only delivered to your door... The room was clean and the beds were excellent Parking can be an issue... If they're very full.. Parking in Madison is always an issue... The food we got delivered to our room was not hot and the pizza is marginal order the pizza out from an outside vendor... Very close to the hospital... We will likely stay again But order off from another vendor for food... Covid-19 strikes again

I looked myself out of my room when I placed a tray outside my door. I was in my underwear. I went on the elevator to the lobby and cried out for help. The desk attendant was rude and enjoyed humiliating me. I got back to my room under horrible circumstances. The following morning the manager, defended his staff and a used me of putting then in a frightening situation. He said he would be looking at my behavior on the security camera film. When I said I hated being seen in my underwear, neither h nor another man later apologized.I am a 73 year old woman. I reported the event to the Best Western Corporate office. I never received a follow up reply.

Extra mile customer service! Beautiful rooms, the blankets, bed and pillows are unbeliveable! so comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. Very clean! Can't say enough about the staff. Over and above, room service staff too!

Our daughter was very, very ill and in a nearby hospital icu. This was a comfortable place to stay for the more than 3 months we needed to be there. Most importantly the staff was amazing. They helped with whatever I needed and were super caring. Many times, they would listen to me including when I was crying. Thank you to all the staff there.

I wouldn't stay any where else when I am in Madison. It is so close to UW Hospital , which my husband attends quite often. The staff is absolutely amazing! John, Izzy, Marcus, Steve, Joe, Vue, Freddy, Smiley, Esther, Emily, Jamie, Billy, Jeff and all the rest of the Motel employees are really so helpful, friendly, respectful, caring! It means so much, when you have to stay so often and they have a free Breakfast, Grab and go and the Shuttle is so nice! Highly Recommend !!! So very clean and I always feel safe with the Covid as they keep this motel so very clean! Great Place!!!

Everything was flawless and we really enjoyed our stay. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We would have enjoyed the pool, hot tub, fitness room and restaurant if they had been open but understood and room service was excellent.

Excellent location to use if your a patient at UW Hospital. They offer a shuttle service to and from the hospital if you need it. Excellent staff and very clean hotel. This is the best hotel i have ever stayed at and will continue to book my stays with them in Madison. I have used this hotel over 4 yrs. I have always enjoyed my stays. Very clean and quiet hotel. Wth the covid 19 virus they have done and excellent job making sure guests are safe.

Friendliest Restaurant employee's EVER, And the food was delish! Very clean and the check in was quick on line. We had a hospital appointment for my husband,who usually drives, and I had no problem getting there..easy peasy.

I take call at the Childrens hospital, and live outside of the response area. When I take call, I stay at the InnTowner and it's always clean and friendly and town is easily accessible. Parkign is great, they have shuttles to events (atleast pre-Covid, I didn't ask on the last stay) and they offer free breakfast and internet.

I want to write a review about marcus the shuttle driver I think you need him on everyday . Marcus has been so polite and always scrubbing the van after each use so each customer has a clean sanitized ride. We would not want any one else he deseves recognition. We have been here almost two months and staying a little longer so please have him on everyday while we are here.Marcus is the best with the customers you can not get no better. so he deserves a 25.00 dollar gift certificate.He also has the air conditioning on keeping cool on a hot day.He is so polite and considerate. The room was super clean along with the lobby and hallways. The shower was soothing with their rain water shower head. The beds were awesome, very cozy. The people that worked there always had a smile for you and made you feel like you were their only customer. The best part of our stay was the food. The food is nicely portioned and extremely delicious. I would eat there daily if I could. We definitely will return!

2 weeks is a long time for a hotel stay, but it was so convenient. Unfortunately because of covid they were only serving dinner room service. The food was very good. The shuttle was great to get me back and forth to the hospital

I was scheduled for a surgery very early in the morning. This hotel is literally 5 minutes down the road from U of W Madison. Rooms were clean, my son said the food was excellent, they brought extra pillows and towels without any issues. I was very happy with my stay.

Clean affordable. friendly. updated comfortable. Was able top check in early. room was amazing. smelled fresh and clean. Customer service was most excellent. It was located close to shopping and restaurants.

My mother and I stayed here nine nights during my father's hospitalization. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, but the food and attentions of the restaurant manager is worth mentioning. I honestly arrived with low expectations beyond the convenience of eating at the hotel, but the food was delicious. We had the the shrimp skewers twice, but also enjoyed the salmon, ribeye steak, fish tacos and pizza. Freddi made sure we were well taken care of during a stressful time. I'd stay here again even without a family member at University Hospital.

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus. The front desk staff was helpful. The Corner Highland resturant was nice and friendly and the food was good. The rooms was very nice. I would come back again.

I stayed here while working back to back 12 hour shifts at the hospital. I got a great night of sleep & had a wonderful breakfast to help me get energized for my next 12 hour shift. The room was clean,the bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated the in room Keurig maker. Nurses definitely need coffee! With a child admitted to the Children's Hospital and the Covid19 pandemic in full swing tension was running a bit high. So nice to be able to come home to a comfortable bed in a clean hotel. The service was excellent, the staff had hand sanitizer located throughout the hotel to ensure cleanliness and ease our minds. The room service was prompt and went through great lengths to maintain social distancing standards while delivering warm food.

It is stressful to travel during these uncertain COVID-19 times. It is absolutely a welcome relief to meet somebody who is kind behind the front desk and who is committed to helping solve a problem. Sidney did that for me when I had an issue with my room. He promptly addressed my concerns and moved me into a new space. He made a somewhat stressful situation so much better by listening carefully, by being friendly, and by being helpful. While his customer service skills were indeed excellent, it is his kindness that I will remember. Sidney really made a difference for me today. The staff made our 6 week stay as comfortable as possible, thank you, Emily. The rooms have everything you need, tv, mini fridge, microwave, sofa, a very comfy bed. Best convenience is the shuttle to and from the hospital, Marcus always made the ride pleasant. A full hot breakfast buffet to start the day, and the restaurant staff are all very hospitable. This hotel has the best staff ever!!!

The Bar Keeper Kelvin was really nice with great conversation. He made me a special Bahama Mama drink. He also made my husband a special Jack Daniel and Coke. The bar was clean and great lightning with a variety of TV screens to watch.

We loved the experience we have been having here at the Best Western Inn Towner in Madison. The shuttle service is very convenient especially for getting to and from the hospital. Our favorite shuttle service driver is Marcus. And our favorite person at the front desk is Gus.... But needless to say, everyone is sweet and welcoming!

We stayed here for five days while my husband received chemo treatments at UW Hospital. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a self-service laundry, a study with books and games, pool, fitness room, and a welcome bar and restaurant on premise. There is also a breakfast buffet with standard fare. The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming. We will have to be here again several more times for treatments and I'm glad this hotel is so accommodating.

Sadly we have frequent family medical needs at UW Hospital; fortunately the Inntowner makes stays convenient and reasonably priced. It is not high-end lodging, but is clean, staff is friendly and accommodating, and the shuttle service is a godsend. On-site parking is limited, but once we parked we did not use our car again until we checked out. We do not use the pool so have no comment on that. The on-site bar and restaurant are welcome after a long day at the hospital. I would recommend this particularly to people needing to be close to the hospital.

I wish I could give ten stars for the superior customer service we experienced here at Best Western Plus in Madison. We had a little problem with our reservation through expedia with this hotel. Expedia sold us (and several other people) a room that had not been available for months. We picked it for the jetted tub in the room because we just finished skiing/snowboarding at Devil's Head and needed the relaxation. We would have never paid as much as we did for one without a jetted tub. The staff couldn't do much about the refund or cancellation for our reservation because we booked through expedia but they were super helpful throughout the whole frustrating process. The managers Keith and Quinn and also an employee named Gus really eased our frustration and made us a deal on a room that was WAY MORE than reasonable. We couldn't be happier with the customer service we received at this Best Western. Thank you so much Keith, Quinn, and Gus! You are seriously superstars and we will be staying here again if we ever come back this way! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

This is the preferred hotel for UW Hospital which is just down the road from the hotel. There is a shuttle to and from the hotel to the hospital. You can walk it as well it is just 1/4 mile. The rooms are nice and have a microwave and fridge in them. There are plenty of plugs for all your devises and a pull out desk. The King room has a couch. The batheroom is small, the shower is stand up, there is no sit down bath. I only stayed one night and did not get to evaluate the room cleaning service. There is a small pool mostly for kids who want to splash around and not for anyone who wants to do laps. The breakfast is standard American fair. It is buffet setrting with a couple of hot dishes (Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Oatmeal and Pancakaes) There is a few Dry Cereals available is single size servings. In addition there are Fruits and Yogurts. It is on a busy road but it was surprisingly quiet. This hotel is a great option for a couple a nights.

My husband and I enjoyed the friendliness, professional efficiency, and helpfulness of the employess at the Best Western Plus InnTowner in Madison, WI. We especially commend the outstanding customer service provided by Mateo and Izzie (spelling?). The room we had was very clean as was the hotel lobby and restaurant. The beds are comfortable, and the room decor helps make one feel comfortable.

My husband was having surgery at the near by hospital. This was very close and convenient to the hospital. I was able to get to and from the hospital in less than 10 minutes. The hotel was neat and clean. Restaurant and bar was very good and affordable.

Hotel was very clean, staff friendly and very efficient. Shuttle service was timely and extremely appreciated as it made trip to UW Clinic much less stressful not having to worry about parking, etc. Would highly recommend to anyone going to hospital or clinic.

We stayed at the hotel to be close to the UW Hospital as my husband had to have an operation on his eye. Everyone at the hotel was wonderful. The food was great! And they had a shuttle service to the hospital and surrounding clinics!!! Fantastic all around experience.

The entire hotel was very comfortable. The hotel is clean and modern. Restaurant is more than adequate and reasonably priced. The rooms have nice amenities. I particularly liked the walk in shower over a traditional bathtub. The elevator car seems small but it's only 4 floors. Over all we enjoyed our stay. It felt like a great basecamp for downtown Madison.

My husband and I were referred to this hotel by the hospital (scheduled for late surgery and preferred not to drive home). This hotel experience was nothing short of awesome. The room was equipped with everything we needed. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious (dinner and breakfast buffet). The location was perfect. BUT .... What actually made this hotel experience wonderful ...was the staff! From check in to check out and everyone in between… totally professional and kind. These people care and it shows in every way possible.

I have wanted to stay in this hotel because its so close to the UW campus and convenient. It also has a pool and nice bar/restaurant. It is a hard hotel to get into because of its popularity especially when there are big events going on. I would like to stay here again when we visit our daughter.

The front desk at Best Western Inntowner Madison has 2 of the most welcoming employees, Cora G and Izzi K. They were very helpful explaining all the amentities and making our stay comfortable. The hotel is in a great location close to the University. The breakfast is plentiful and good. The pool is clean and warm. The rooms are modern and sparkle

We went to Madison to visit a friend at UW Madison Hospital. Guest services at the hospital put us in touch with the Best Western Plus InnTowner Hotel. We were delighted with the clean, comfortable accommodations, the kind and friendly staff, and the shuttle bus that took us to and from the hospital as often as we wanted. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Madison, especially if you are there to see someone in the hospital.

We were in Madison for a medical surgery and the hotel stay made it feel more of a vacation. We were able to relax the day before the surgery and then take the shuttle service to (and from) the hospital which eliminated any concerns of parking the car, etc. Being able to return to the hotel on the evening of the surgery made me feel far more comfortable and we were able to enjoy a good breakfast before departure.

Best hotel in Madison WI. Hotel is clean comfortable quiet easily accessible to the University and the UW Medical Center. This is a “must stay” place if you have business at the medical center as a patient or family member. Pool and hot tub are amazing. Best and most accommodating staff I've ever met at a hotel.

This is the second time staying at the hotel for my surgery, and is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The shuttle driver Marus is a great guy and really helpful and always pleasant. All the staff are great as well and always helpful, especially those at the front desk

Hotel was clean and even had a Keurig in every room. Restaurant was very good and breakfast with several choices in a buffet. Check in online and at desk very quick and check out fast also. Would stay here again when visiting Madison.

Need to use the campus hospital? This is the place to stay! Relaxing, close to the hospital and very accommodating. Quiet! We had a suite on an upper floor and there were some minor elevator problems, but we didn't mind as we love to get exercise. Room was very nicely appointed with a great bed. It also had a refrig. in each room! Lighting was beautiful and everything about it was relaxing.

Dave was an amazing drive. He was helpful and so courteous. Can't wait to recommend to all of my friends! Such a great shuttle driver. Can't wait To visit again! Everyone at the hotel was very friendly.

We have stayed at the Inntowner numerous times. It is so close to the University Hospital. This past week we were told by the front desk via a calling card that there was shuttle service available for any destination within 2 miles from the hotel. We took advantage of this service going to and from the hospital. What a wonderful service. Guess it's been there and available for years, but no one told us about it. Love the room, the room rate, the wonderful breakfast and the shuttle service. Thank you!

The purpose of our stay was related to a rather extensive surgical procedure for my husband. Due to a change in surgery date, we needed to change our arrival and departure twice, the front desk staff understood and made the changes quickly and without hassle. The second item was the availability of the 24/7 shuttle from hotel to hospital. This was a godsend for my wife who, due to cataracts, was unable to safely drive the 2 blocks to the hospital. This made her feel more comfortable and safe. In addition, she left one of her medications at home(90 miles one way) and needed to get to the nearest Walgreens to refill it. The shuttle driver did not hesitate to put her on his schedule to help. The service of hotel staff and shuttle were OUTSTANDING. We are members of their rewards club and glad we are.

great staff, clean room, parking late at night can sometimes be an issue having to park way in the back. I almost didn't find a spot but I got lucky with someone leaving just in time. Aside from parking it's a good place to stay.

Both parties requested joining room. Told yes by hotel team and location of room. When arrived no joining rooms for family event. Was very disappointed in not having the rooms joined for our family celebration!!!

We were very happy with our stay here to visit our daughter at UW. The shuttle service was reliable to bring us locally during a highly trafficked game time period. The hotel is within walking distance of Randal Stadium too. We would definitely stay again.

Large, quiet rooms. Don't hear toilets flushing or people sneezing next to you. Very comfortable beds! Hot and cold breakfast is included with your stay. Hot food is hot and cold food was cold! Nice and clean hotel, room, restaurant. Ate at the restaurant, good food, good prices!

Updated, clean, spacious rooms. Lounge and lobby modernized. Hot breakfast with lots of options - better than most. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by the family. Easy access to campus and the capital (5 minutes). Highly recommended.

The University of Wisconsin Madison Campus is very big, but if you are visiting someone in the Lake Shore Dorms or Medical Campus, this is the perfect location. The room was very welcoming with everything I needed. It's nice to have the sink/vanity outside of the bathroom if more than one person is in the room. The pool/fitness area was nice, and I was happy that breakfast was included and there was always free coffee available in the lobby (I needed fuel for Parents Visiting Weekend!). The best amenity, in my opinion, is the free shuttle bus that takes you anywhere within a 2 mile radius. It was easy to reserve a spot on the bus, and it was great to be picked up on the campus in the evening. No need to rent a car if this is strictly a visit to the school. I'd highly recommend this property.

No problems or complaints. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean rooms. Loved that they had a restaurant on site. Front desk and their in room binder gave other restaurant menus and delivery options. Binder had all important information a guest would need.

they offer a quick check-in process via your mobile device where you select your check-in time, but then don't honor it when you get to the hotel because they state it's game day in Madison. we had to haul our clothes into their lobby bathroom to change then haul our clothes back out to the car and then haul them back in to check in later.

Cigarette odor was so bad in the room that my clothes started to smell like coasters. Front desk said they would look into it and they never did and the smell did not get better. Waited an hour for shuttle pick up when I was told it would be 10 minutes. Turns out they went to the wrong building and when they didn't see me they just left. Bathroom was also very small and tub was gross.

Recently, I spent 30 days at the Best Western PLUS Intowner Madison due to my wife illness and hospitalization. It was like being in a sweet home away from home. I found the staff to be friendly, thoughtful, loving, compassionate and altruistic. The general manager is available, affable and engaging. The front desk staff, room custodians, shuttle bus drivers and restaurant staff are excellent! The hotel is a modest three star hotel with a five star staff and service. I was amazed at how engaging, sincere and customer focused all of the staff were. It seems to be a corporate culture of service to the guests: from the front door to the rooms. The food in the restaurant was tasty, plentiful and cost effective. I give high praise to two front desk employees: Emilie and Matteo. They became family to my wife and me! They recommended excellent restaurants, cooked meals for my ill wife and me and encouraged us every day. Sidney, at the front desk, also recommended several restaurants. Freddie, the restaurant manager was like Houdini. He took orders, did room service managed the hotel catering and business meetings and aptly supervised an excellent kitchen and waiter staff. Our room custodian, Fannie, did an outstanding job keeping our room clean and supplied. This hotel staff lives out the tenants in the Ritz Carlton Hotel Book, "The Five Gold Standards."

The rooms are very modern, elegant, and clean. The staff were helpful, courteous, and professional. The daily specials in the restaurant are very reasonable. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of hot or cold choices, healthy foods and your every day favorites.

Stayed here for extended period of time. The whole entire staff from the front desk to the shuttle drivers and everyone in between was amazing, friendly, helpful and very professional. This is a reasonable place to stay a couple of days, but has no cooking in house and limited restaurants nearby. The staff are nice but not terribly competent, and I had several problems to sort out with the payment. The staff who clean the rooms and who are in the restaurant are really excellent. The food, especially the happy hour is cheap and cheerful, and well done. After a week or so it does wear a bit, and the breakfasts are okay standard and alternate between the sausages and the bacon each day with nice biscuits. The very good points are the free wireless, washing machine and dryer. The shuttle within 2 miles. For an extended stay (which I did) it was a bit limited. The gym is basic with dumbells cycle machine, step machine, and treadmill, and a small pool, with spa. This owned by the hospital and hence has a lot of people being treated at the local hospital and their families. Lots of free coffee, cold water, etc. I found the Italian restaurant over the road pretentious, but the organic place also over the road not cheap but fine food. I would definitely stay again for a short stay but not for a long one.

This property has a nice appearance with pleasant personnel. However, staying here shows a host of problems. The paint is peeling from the tile in the bathroom (in most properties, when the tiles are in bad shape, they tend to replace them rather than to cover it up by painting them), the bathroom door doesn't latch and the bath towels that came with the room felt a bit like sandpaper. The smaller towels seemed fine and the replacement towels for our second day were more typical of a similar property. The lighting for half the room is essentially non-existent. (It is almost impossible to see your clothing in the wardrobe unit except during the day.) In the evening, the furniture in the room looked very nice. During the day, it became clear that there were many scratches on it. But then, that might be due to not having much lighting in the room. Our room was on the small size but others in our group that had a room with two queen beds had a much larger room. We wouldn't have stayed another day in such a small room. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were subpar. The room has a Keurig coffee maker that made excellent coffee. Unfortunately, there was only the powdered white stuff that ruined the taste of the coffee. We ended up going to the restaurant to get the real milk to add to this coffee – it was really good and much better than the watery tasting coffee in the restaurant. The breakfast was quite nice until it became evident that the scrambled eggs were not fresh. The breakfast staff really did a nice job and the rest of the breakfast buffet was nice – especially the fresh fruit and wonderful pancakes and strawberry sauce. We had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door until 9:45am but I guess they took that to mean that we didn't want the room serviced. When we return at 2:30 pm, all the room service carts had disappeared and the room hadn't been serviced. We called the desk and they offered to bring replacement towels which they did after 45 minutes. The bathroom door could not be latched or locked. The bathroom door appeared to be a bit too small for the door frame. You could hear what was happening in the bathroom as if the door was open – not pleasant experience. Talking of doors, you could hear people talking in the hallway as they passed. For those talking loudly, it almost felt like they were in the room with us. The body lotion supplied with the room deserves glowing reviews. It is nicer than that found at other chain properties. The other products, such as shampoo, were also very nice. The lack of a shower cap was annoying for my wife. The room AC was either too hot or too cold – it had a wide swing of temperatures in its normal operation. As a last resort, I just tried to turn the unit off. Unfortunately, there was no way to stop the fan short of unplugging a 220V plug. No thanks! Perhaps some of this poor temperature control problem stems from the thermostat flashing a ‘replace battery' symbol that was showing when we entered the room. I wonder if they just wait until the thermostat stops working for a guest before they replace the battery. We tried to use the hotel's treadmill but it kept turning off. We finally realized that there was a bad connection between the treadmill's plug and the socket. We notified the hotel office of the potential electrical and personal danger from this malfunctioning treadmill but it was still plugged in several hours later. There was a nice TV in the exercise room but there was no remote control to operate it. We notified the hotel desk of the problem. When we finished our workout, there was still no remote to turn on the TV. The exercise room only had weights of ten pounds or above. The majority of the guests would find these too heavy for their use. Location of the hotel is fine and so is the availability of parking. The shuttle service appears good. However, when we were leaving the hotel with our luggage on a cart, the shuttle's location in front of the hotel exit made it difficult to get to the parking lot. i told the shuttle driver that he was impeding the flow of traffic but his response was that he was told to park there. The hotel management has some good ideas but the poor implementation sabotages them. For example, they have Purell machines on each floor by the elevator. Great idea! But the machine I tried to use on my floor was empty the whole time I was there. When I raised several of these problems with staff members, I was told to fill out a ‘special request' card found in the hotel room. But making a special request for tasks that should be handled by the hotel staff as part of their regular duties is counterproductive and puts the burden on the guests rather than on the hotel where it belongs. Almost all of the problems we faced were either caused by employees not doing their job or by management not adequately assigning responsibility for everyday tasks. All in all, this property seemed to have many more problems than the average hotel. Only the defective treadmill appeared to be potentially life threatening with the others just a symptom of poor maintenance, inadequate quality control and poor management.

I stayed here 3 years in a row when in town for a football game, in spite of an offer of free accommodations we will be staying there again next year, the room was booked before we left the hotel. The staff are friendly, and helpful, the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. The lounge/ bar area is cozy and the food is top notch. If you are in Madison for any reason and you are looking for a place to stay, this is it.

Great place to stay! My dad was in UW hospital and this was perfect place to stay. 2 minutes away you could even walk. 24 hr shuttle and great breakfast. Even a pool & hot tub. Very clean. Great staff and reasonable priced restaurant.

Staff was very friendly and accomodating They were able to get us a handicap accessible tax to hospital which was an extreme benefit. The rooms were a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. We were also able to enjoy the pool which was a nice feature as well.

We stayed here as we were traveling from out of town for a visit at The Childrens Hospital. The location from the hotel to the hospital is great. During our stay we have half eaten chicken and garbage behind our bed, I called the front desk and the room changed us right away, which I was happy with. But they offered drink coupons for the inconvenience. I am not sure why we would be offered these as I am traveling with two small children, so I declined the offer. The next morning, we checked out and I left behind our swimsuits. I called that afternoon to be told Housekeeping is still cleaning call back later or tomorrow. I called again around 8p that night to be told the same thing. I called back two days later to be told, by the front desk, yeah I checked our lost and found and we have nothing. I asked for her to check the other room just in case and she said I check our system there is nothing. I know for a 100% we left our swimsuits in the hotel laundry bag in our room. Either she did not check her system properly or their have a thief on their Housekeeping team. I requested to speak with the General Manager and was told he is out until Monday and to call back. Awful Customer Service! I will never stay here again, no matter how close it is to the hospital. I will also never recommend this hotel and if the hospital asks about their customer service, I will share this incident with them too!

Our friend needed surgery. The university of Wis. Hospital in Madison, the doctors, and staff were awesome. This Best Western on University St. Is so conveniently located, comfortable and accommodating. Front desk staff,like Emily, were So helpful! They helped to make sure we had everything we needed! The shuttle drivers like Marcos and Vieux made our transport to and from hospital so easy! They were a terrific help. Madison is beautiful and the people are very friendly!

Dropped in at 8:30 PM with no reservations and was given a great room. Front desk people were very friendly. The lounge had a great hamburger too. We would stay here again unless we wanted to be closer to the downtown area.

Check in went fine. Appreciated the email confirmations prior. Check out was so simple. Left the keys on the front desk. Staff was more than helpful. Process to reserve a shuttle went smoothly and the shuttle service was a bonus. Drivers had personality plus. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Wish it was better advertised. Rooms were quiet. Hotel old but clean. We'd go back!

We were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Best Western Inntowner. Loved the breakfast buffet, friendly front desk staff, prompt shuttle service and the cost. We enjoyed the 2 free drink tickets that we were given when we checked in. We will be back.

I recently stay at the Inntowner as a family member was hospitalized at UW Health. The hotel had excellent amenities, including free breakfast, a bar restaurant and free shuttle service. The hospital was an easy walk from hotel and shuttle was readily available when requested. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The entire team at this location has been amazing. Everyone at the front desk and restaurant are very kind and accommodating. The drivers for the shuttle are thr best! Marcus was awesome and made our small trips very entertaining. Vieux was very kind and funny as well. Thank you for making a rough trip much easier!

Stayed here because my child was having surgery at the hospital next door. She was going to be inpatient and number of days was going to vary. Hospital said they would extend my stay because I was already a guest (hospital owned but still open to public). When I asked the front desk to extend my stay they said no that other people were coming and was forced to leave and to find other accommodations on my own. Stress I didnt need while my child was in the hospital and I'm 3 hours one way from home. I was also not impressed with the shuttle service not offering a handicap friendly transport or there lack of help to passengers to board and unboard. Front desk needed to have a manager override for early check in despite the early check in email they sent. Waited over 10 minutes for that as the manager was on break. Person as desk I questioned about extending stay was rude. Overall the room was nice. It didnt smell and was clean. Toilet should have been fixed as it was wobbly. Beds are higher up and firm. Not my preferred liking but would not prevent another stay based on room. The only amenities I used was the wifi, breakfast and the 1 day shuttle. Wifi worked well and the breakfast was really good (bacon, eggs, and fruit) I would probably stay here again. Just use caution if you're staying here because family is in the hospital as they may not allow you to extend your stay.

I stayed at the hotel for 17 days and the restaurant, room, staff, and especially Vickie were all awesome. Stayed here while my friend had major surgery at the hospital. Will definitely stay here again and even come for dinner when I bring her back for checkouts! Cheryl

Whenever I come back to Madison for work, I try to stay at the InnTowner. The rooms clean and nice like all BestWesterns but what really makes this place great is the staff. They are always friendly and helpful and do everything they can to make your stay the best it can be. The shuttle service is super convenient and my driver this time, Marcus was especially friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Madison, WI Best Western Plus during a family member's surgery at the University of Wisconsin hospital. The room was very clean and comfortable. Even got a copy of the USA Today every morning at our door. The complimentary shuttle to and from the hospital was most appreciated. The breakfast bar was well stocked and the attendants were prompt in their service. The front desk staff was gracious enough to put some of our extra foodstuff in an incoming family member's room when we checked out. Overall every hotel employee we came into contact with was extremely accommodating and courteous. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

This hotel has been nicely updated and feels very welcoming. We liked that it's older and has been updated as the halls are wide, solid and much quieter than in today's quickly built properties. The front desk staff and wait staff in the restaurant were all very friendly and helpful. We had delicious late-evening appetizers in the restaurant, as well as the included breakfast in the morning. It's really nice to have a such a great restaurant (good food, reasonable prices) on the property so you don't have go anywhere once you're back at the hotel at the end of a long day. And to have the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant gives guests so much room compared to most hotels. The breakfast included sausage, scrambled and boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, pastries, breads, cereals, yogurt, oatmeal, granola, and fruit. The room was beautifully furnished, clean, and quiet. The hotel is a quick drive to the UW Madison campus, which we were visiting. We would definitely stay here again if needing a hotel in the area.

My family and I only stayed for one night but we were chaperoned by an amazing and friendly shuttle driver named Marcus. He showed us the best places to visit including State street and all the amazing local business it has to offer.

We came here from Canada Wednesday to be near family at the hospital due to an accident. From the people at the desk to the shuttle drivers, Marcus and Steve, we could not ask for more. Our grandchildren are very comfortable here. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The shuttle service is a so friendly and efficient. I feel very lucky and grateful that somehow we ended up at this hotel.

The Best Western Plus Inn Towner has a great pool, convenient location, and a reasonable price. My son loved the location, the rooms were tidy and clean. Plenty of room for the family. The restaurant has good food for Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Marcus the shuttle driver is awesome!! He's a pretty cool guy! Him and my fam found me walking in this heat and saved me lol. He's also a pretty cool guy to talk too. My family and I really appreciate him here during our stay

This hotel is very nice. Staff were professional. I only stayed one night. The hotel has restaurant. I found it neat they had multiple study area's on top of their business center. The room was clean and beautiful. I used my points and was able to get a beautiful whirlpool suites. The room had a separate bedroom from the living room area. Fire place. I would defiantly stay again!

This is about the fourth time I have stayed here. The rooms are always clean, correct, and ready when they should be. Customer service is always top notch. The breakfast buffet included with the room rate is delicious.

My son was in a car accident in Msy, I stayed four nights in a row in May, came back and stayed 1 more night, came back and stayed 1 night in June. I was greeted with politeness every visit, the rooms were to my standards except the last trip did t get a disable room as requested, but the room they gave us worked out for the night, good breakfast, nice staff, recommend staying here ant time, and every time I have to stay in Madison.

Having evaluation at US Hospital for medical condition, Best Western took very good care of us...from getting us a taxi for early morning appointments (they paid) to sack morning snack, to mailing a forgotten item. They went above and beyond... The food from the restaurant was excellent.

Victoria was a Great bartender, she was very personable and easy to get along with! This was a one of a kind experience and after traveling for a decent ways it was nice to have her and the staff relax and serve us for a bit

BW Inn is located in a quiet area just west of the university campus. But it's still a short walking distance from restaurants and shopping. The dining area for breakfast is well lit by natural light and the food is better than other Inns offering an included breakfast. The rooms and even the hallways a nicely designed. Internet connection is fast and there is plenty of parking too. My family felt very comfortable staying here.

I love this place! The staff is great, the pool is warm and the breakfast is amazing! The shuttle service a definite plus having to travel to the hospital where my daughter was for 85 days. No worries of parking and front door service!

Our family was able to join together to celebrate our grandson's birthday. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The pool and hot tub were comfortably warm for swimming entertainment, and the hotel's study space (with kitchenette and tables) made a perfect area for sharing pizza and birthday cake! We all enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast the next morning.

We were very happy with our stay the the Best Westen InnTowner. The location is fabulous, the condition of the hotel and rooms is as good as more expensive hotels, the breakfast was better than other higher-end hotels, the service was great and the 2 free beers were a nice bonus. I had to get a room to be with my mother who was having surgery. The hospital arranged my room and it was very close to the hospital. The rooms were comfortable and very clean . If I'm in the area again I will book my room here

Having severe medical issues this facility really allows you to relax between the days of appointments. You never have to worry about anything related to the stay in Madison. The shuttle availability and frequency is one less thing to worry about.

Great place to stay for a wedding. The staff were helpful. The beds were comfy. Breakfast was OK. Typical stuff, coffee could ave been hotter. Good restaurants close by, and easy to get around. Would stay there again if in Madison.

This Best Western is close to UW Madison hospital and goes out of their way to accommodate the families of patients there. It is much appreciated and they even offer a shuttle to and from which is great. I highly recommend this place. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly.

We were in and out of Madison for a show for our daughter. We didn't check in until 11:00 pm and was leaving at 4:40 am. We were greeted by name and with smiles. (I always appreciate a smile not matter what time of day) and it was quiet, the room was clean. Thank you!

We stayed there for four days. We had reserved through the hospital and had confirmation that we were staying there for the four days. I came back to the hotel to find my card didn't work for the room. I proceeded down to the front desk to find out I checked out or was supposed to have. They then said we could stay another night. Meanwhile, they took it upon themselves to pack everything up and leave it on a cart. Food was left out and the cap to my wife's cordless toothbrush was discarded. I called the hospital to confirm the reservation and sure was through sat am. So we are going to leave everything in the room when we are supposed to check out. I don't fathom that. So better double check with the front desk when check in to make sure they have the right dates

Super clean hotel including rooms. Great continental breakfast, 3 blocks from UW Hospital, shuttle to hospital if needed. If you are in Madison with appointments at UW be sure to schedule through Guest Services at the hospital for a lower rate. Laundry on fourth floor. If I could rate the Hotel and staff 10 stars I would!

Nice hotel. Good amenities. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice bar area. Good breakfast. Convenient shuttle to the hospital. Only con - sister wanted a soft drink for breakfast. They said they could, but would charge us for it.

Multiple "issues" with our stay. 1st, We checked into our room and when arriving to the room, had been given a double queen instead of the king we reserved. Went back to the front desk and they did correct it by "upgrading" us to a king "suite" (King bed room with couch).A little bit of a hassle, but appreciate the front desk gal getting it straightened out...Thanks... Next, our air conditioning wouldn't work. Woke up in the night to an 80* room (it was set for 68*), not pleasant sleeping. Breakfast-- fair. Not terrible, nothing great. Lastly-The most dissatisfying.We were in town for a concert and specifically asked about the shuttle service prior to making our reservation. ( We actually had reservations else where that did not offer shuttle, and cancelled those reservations to stay at the Best Western Inn Towner for the shuttle service alone--Didn't want to be drinking and driving/worrying about UBER/LYFT/Waiting). We were assured that the shuttle would deliver us and pick us up at the concert location PRIOR to making our reservation. When we arrived, they said as long as we make an appointment to be shuttled to the venue, that would be fine. We were also told that last call for pick up service was at 10:45 pm. We called for our pick up at 10:35 and were told that they were finished shuttling that evening. This may not seem like a big deal with UBER/Lyft era, however- we had low/dead batteries on our phone from the concert, and in the middle of arranging/waiting for UBER my phone died. Husbands phone wouldn't download the UBER app. Too windy/cold to walk the distance to hotel. Was charged for the UBER ride that we never got and had to scramble to find a taxi, and also had to pay for that. Not, a big deal- but could have been avoided if we would have been able to use the shuttle service for pick up like we were initially assured would be provided. After dealing with the shuttle/taxi issue, we were hoping to end the night at the Hotel Bar with a drink or two, to lessen the stress, bar closed before 12. Not HUGE deals-- just let down after let down, that put a damper on things and all add up to the point of, we won't stay at Best Western Plus Inn Towner again. Just be advised.

Having stayed for two weeks due to medical reasons the hotel is super close to the UW hospital and even offers a shuttle. The rooms we've had are always spotless and offer plenty of room for three adults. The staff has always been above and beyond friendly, kind, and courteous for our many visits with them! The hotel offers a great breakfast with plenty of awesome options and lots of room to sit and enjoy your meal. The restaurant has awesome food, we loved the burgers, cheese curds, and qusidillas! The cleaning staff is super, offering new towels and answering any questions we ever had as well, always offering a good morning to us! Honestly just a great place to stay that's super clean, quiet, and close to some cool places to eat and shop!

This comfortable hotel is very convenient to the UW Carbone Cancer Center. It offers shuttle service to and from the hospital and clinic as well as to other destinations in Madison. The staff is friendly and helpful. Also, in the lobby is a place to get water, coffee, or tea anytime. Attached is the Highland Grill that offers a complimentary breakfast. My one suggestion for the hotel to improve is to add a vertical bar at the front of the bathtub/shower so that one has something to hang on to getting in and out. There is a bar low down, but it is not enough and doesn't help with the shower.

All of the staff - front desk, waitstaff, cleaning personnel - super professional, very attentive and efficient. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Breakfast buffet & Restaurant excellent - great quality and reasonable prices.We'll be back soon.

If you are going to University Hospital, shuttle service is quick and easy. The restaurant offers many choices. Food is good. We enjoy having a beverage at the bar. Bartenders are always friendly. Very positive experience at this location. Rooms are very nice and clean. The Grille had excellent food, anything from burgers to steak and pizza. Coffee was really good. Good service. Recommend this location to everyone.

Everything here is exceptional. The suite was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet had more variety than most featuring fresh fruit and crispy bacon. The in house restaurant food was cooked to order, featuring succulent salmon and flavorful rib eyes. We especially appreciated the free shuttle to the Kohl Center and they go to other places nearby. The hotel has a neighborhood feel to it as opposed to those just off the interstate.

Never been more disgusted. After the first room had blood on one comforter and hair glob in the other. Sink was dirty and crumbled paper in the night stand. Pubic hair in bathtub. Sharp edges on wall to cut your leg open. 2nd room shocked me pubic hair in tub again and also a partially eaten summer sausage on the floor. Then manager came up and was inapologetic and opened a third room for us after I asked the front desk for a clean room without pubic hair in the bathtub. Luckily the third room I saw plastic on the floor and sharp corner on wall again. I was told by manager to make a decision to either stay at their hotel or not because she had to get back to work. Couldn't believe she didn't care about the cleanliness. I offered to show her the dirty first room and she wouldn't let me go back in there. They then tried to charge me for an extra night. We checked out of hotel immediately !!!! Close to the hospital and disgusting enough to make your kids puke being grossed out by filth!! Felt so mad my daughter threw up because of the filthy rooms !

Me and my wife stayed here to visit my daughter who goes to school at UW. What amazing service! Came to the front desk and was greeted by Cora. She helped with finding dinner, guiding us to our daughters dorm, and finding a fun activity to do while we were visiting. She was humorous and always a delight every time we came to the desk. Great shuttle driver (John?) too!

The hotel is so clean with contemporary decor. Staff is friendly and helpful, and did whatever they could to accommodate our large group. The breakfast options are extraordinary! Fluffy, warm pancakes with maple syrup and strawberries; scrambled eggs with sausage, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal - something for everyone!

I stayed here for a number of nights when my sister was a patient at UW Madison hospital. The shuttle service is awesome! Ate there a lot---both the breakfast buffet and appetizers/dinner in the evenings. GREAT food and service! The pool area was very nice--my nephew enjoyed it a ton. Unfortunately one of the college teams staying there put bubbles in the whirlpool so it was closed the last day of our stay. They do give a hospital rate but you need to have the hospital call the hotel to verify in order to get it and then check your receipt. There were still errors on mine when I checked out--waiting for the credit card bill to see if they were corrected or not. Some of the desk staff were awesome and others did not seem to know what they were doing. Rooms were average.

Hadn't stayed at a Best Western before, so I wasn't expecting much. This hotel was very nice, clean, the rooms were also. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I was there for family in the hospital so the shuttle service to and from the hospital was also VERY nice and they were so accommodating. Would definitely recommend this location.

Staff always keeps the hotel looking great. Breakfast buffet has a great selection of hot and healthy choices; area was frequently refilled and kept clean. Shuttle was easy to request. Great location. This continues to be our favorite place to stay In Madison.

We were at a clinic at the UW Hospital and BW was very accomadating with 24/7 shuttle to the hospital. Nice rooms and the breakfasts were great. There is a restaurant that has reasonably priced foods.

I have never been disappointed. I am a very picky person and cleanliness is top priority for me and I'm always happy with my stay. The staff are kind and respectful and the food has always been great.

The Best Western Plus Inn Towner Madison is conveniently located near the UW-Hospital and they provide free shuttles to and from the hospital. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and friendly hotel at reasonable pricing.

The service is great, room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Every time I'm in Madison, this is my hotel of choice with a reasonable price. I also love that they offer complimentary breakfast which is always cooked to order.

Stayed overnight and were on the 2nd floor. Great location in Madison. Very quiet hotel. Comfortable bed. No hall noise, no toilet flushing noise, no door noise. Downstairs they have a hot and cold breakfast for all. Hot items were hot and cold items were cold. Great variety of food for breakfast to pick from. Great place to stay!!

Spent 35 nights over 4 months at this hotel while a relative was undergoing organ transplant process at the VA. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed and room. Wall thermostat controlled ac system with continuous fan option. Easy 5 min. walk to VA in good weather. They also have continuous shuttle service that I never needed, but was happy was available. Staff is very pleasant. Clientele here seem to be mostly people on business or medical trips. Quiet and professional ambiance.

The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Loved the fireplace in the room. The food and service at the Highland grill was great. The breakfast selection was was very good. We would stay here again

We stayed for several nights here with a family member at UW Hospital. We were especially grateful for the 24-hr shuttle service, which helped us get back and forth from the hospital. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the continental as well as regular meals in the restaurant were delicious. We took advantage of the on-site laundry facilities as well. Highly recommended.

We had doctor appointments at UW hospital and the reservation was made for us by the hospital. The hotel was only 2 blocks from the UW and they had 24 hour shuttles to the UW, which was great. Overall it was a great stay.

We stayed at this hotel due to having medical procedures and it was recommended by the hospital. The rooms were clean and spacious. They have a complimentary shuttle back and forth to the hospital which ran late a couple of times and our driver seemed annoyed by his job. However not knowing the area and having so many appointments the shuttle was extremely convenient for us. The attached restaurant has an inviting atmosphere and amazing food and great prices. We ate there every night we stayed. I didn't partake in break fast since I had to fast for procedures however my mom did and said it was a nice selection and great food. The pool was warm and a nice activity to do after the days appoinment as well as the hot tub. They had complimentary coffee water and popcorn always which was a nice treat. I would stay there again for sure even if I was in Madison for fun but for sure for appointments.

i stayed at this hotel because it was close to my job. I was impressed with how clean it was.. the food in the restaurant was great and so was the drinks. i used the pool and the whirpool and it was clean and relaxing.

I had to go the UW Hospital for an exam and this hotel was recommended, it was well loacated and convenient. The staff were excellent in performing their duties and friendly. Shuttle service was prompt and got me to the hospital in no time at all. No hiccups during my stay, so I stayed an extra day. My wife and I were very satisfied.

This hotel, owned by the University, and just down the street from the hospital, is where we always stay when in Madison for medical care. The staff is friendly, and remembers you from previous visits. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The restaurant is mediocre. Open for dinner and breakfast, it is almost always nearly empty. The walleye my husband had was very dry and tough. He couldn't cut it with a steak knife, and had to tear it apart with his fingers to eat it. The pancakes the next day were the same. How can they make a pancake, whish is crunchy, and can't be cut with a knife? We suggested to the waiter that the pancakes be thrown out, and he responded that he had already done so.

Stayed 3 days for work, business and fitness center weren't that great but the bar was! Victoria Bravo made a killer margarita and was very friendly. Her old fashioned was the best I've ever had too! Did not expect such an amazing bartender at a hotel bar!

Good location. The room was clean, a little smaller than expected, but adequate. The breakfast was very good for a free hotel breakfast. The staff was nice. Fast check in and check out. Very affordable, I will stay again next time i am in town!

This was our first visit to BWPI. We arrived at about 2:30 PM for a 2 day stay. We were told by a short bald guy who mumbles that our room was not ready, that it could be 15-20 minutes, he'd let us know. After a 1/2 hr of more, my wife went to the desk & asked another clerk about the room, she said that it was ready. How much longer would the bald guy have let us sit in the lobby? As it was, the gal who finally checked us in didn't bother to tell us when or where breakfast was served, nor where anything was located, e.g. pool, fitness center, etc. We rented a suite that had a kitchen area. There were 5 big cupboards & 2 large drawers along with a full fridge, micro & sink. To our surprise all the cupboards & drawers were empty except for 1 SPATULA! No glasses, silverware or plates---nothing! I called the desk & was told that if we wanted silverware there were some in the restaurant attached to the hotel! At $160/night we were already regretting our decision to stay here! The next morning I stopped at the desk & dropped off, with the bald guy, 2 forms that we found in the room for "special requests" . We listed that we needed extra blankets, also that we needed more than just a spatula, & that the coffee maker didn't work. These forms specified to drop them off at the front desk, that way they would be handled quicker. We got back to the room late afternoon & discovered the results of our special requests: NO extra blankets, NO dishes, silverware or glassware added to the 5 empty cupboards & 2 empty drawers, & the coffee maker was NOT fixed/replaced! Our guess is that the bald clerk just threw out our requests. It's been years since we stayed at a Best Western, it will be an eternity before we return! I know the hotel draws a huge percentage of guests who are there for someone in the hospital, based on your location, but that doesn't mean slacking off on customer service!

This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are spacious and have all amenities. The complimentary breakfast was very delicious! Close to the hospital, you can walk to your appointment. The restaurant is good, I reccomend the shrimp tacos!

We found this to be a very pleasant experience overall at a very stressful time for our family needing health services at University Hospital. It was very convenient having the transportation service to the hospital nearby.

I stayed at this hotel the night before a Badger home football game. The place was hopping! Two courteous ladies at the front desk told me that even though it was 7:15 pm, my $200.00 per night room was not clean. They gave me drink tickets for their bar so I could wait with a drink in my hand, but 45 minutes later, there was still an issue about getting me into a clean room. They finally found one for me a little after 8:00 pm. The place had guests everywhere, but apparently not enough housekeeping staff to pull it off. At what point does management focus on customer service and do whatever it takes to make a guest's stay a success even if it means cleaning rooms themselves? Nice property but the brains of the operation are lacking.

Stayed here for a Badger football game and rooms sold out. Very slow check in process. Clean hotel with decent rooms. no upgrades with sold out hotel but not much elite recognition. Drinks after dinner took forever as the lounge was very crowded and only one waitstaff. Nice to have the courtesy shuttle available to game and to downtown areas.

We were visiting my niece who attends pharmacy school. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was awesome. Plenty of choices. There is a hotel shuttle.

Used this hotel as they are owned by UW Hospital. Nothing special and they put me, someone who just had surgery, way in the back. Had to walk about a mile in Pain. $94/night is excessive for patients.

This was my second stay at this hotel. I was little disappointed: the 1st room that I was given had not been cleaned and the shuttle service pick-up was very slow twice, first time 15 minutes turned into 40 minutes and later that night 15 minutes turned into an hour. It was a Saturday if that makes a difference. One of the reasons for booking this location is their shuttle service as I do not light City driving.

Clean and nice! Cool bar/lounge. Good breakfast. About a 20 min walk to Randall Stadium and they allowed us to pre-register to park there before our check in. I would recommend this hotel especially if you're going to a game.

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! From the friendly knowledgeable staff, to the comfort of the room and the awesome restaurant crew we were very pleased. The breakfast was awesome with plenty of choices. The rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows super comfortable. The proximity to hospitals, downtown and restaurants was great. Would definately stay here again.

If you ever have a need to stay in Madison this is the place to stay. Every employee has been friendly and accommodating Rooms are clean and spacious. The free shuttle service back and forth to the hospital was a God send Before and After a long day sitting with my dad at The hospital we would eat at the highland corner grill in the hotel. Fredit Sanchez and the staff are so very nice. We enjoyed every delicious meal. This hotel has there stuff togeather.

Victoria Bravo was a fantastic bartender that made sure we were happy and well taken care of - without us having to ask! Above and beyond customer service! This will continue to be a hotel I choose to stay at in the future.

The front desk and all support staff were gracious throughput the visit. I found out that the inn is just outside of the university of Wisconsin. When I exited the elevator on my floor I found the hall temperature exceedingly hot. I had a room with double queen beds and when I entered the room it looks beautiful but cramped. The room also had a heavy perfume type smell as to cover up something else. The beds are comfortable . The breakfast was good. Overall the stay was pleasant with just a few minor problems.

What a great place to stay while in Madison. From the Staff to the Facility you cannot find a flaw. You will not be disappointed when you stay at the Best Western Plus Inn Towner Madison. If you are looking for a great value while staying in Madison , you have got to check this hotel out. You will not regret it.

An attractive property -- BUT: 1) the rooms are way too narrow; I have never been in any motel room, at any price range (and especially at this not-inexpensive one), where the rooms were so narrow. It was cramped. 2) the toilet itself (not the toilet seat) was wobbling on its pedestal. 3) nothing special about the Breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel as one of our stops during our drive across the country. We found the rooms very comfortable and the beds exceedingly comfortable. The lounge was a lot of fun. The bartender was very friendly and personable and the food was really good. We had a quesadilla which was awesome.The only complaint that we had was that the elevator broke down. Elevators do break down from time to time, but there was only one elevator at the reception area which did not seem adequate though there was a second elevator at the far end of the hotel.

This hotel is very comfortable and clean. The staff is always there to help with anything possible. Within the last 2 1/2 years I have stayed more than 150 days!!! Very convenient to VA and UW hospitals. You won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing for a Best Western! It was recently remodeled and looks beautiful! We walk in and I said wow! They have a sort of heated pool. They also had a very nice hot tub. In the pool area the seating space was minimal but it was enough. The restaurant is also very small but it had very good food. The beds were soft and comfortable. The only problems I had were that the bed had a pee stain on it but they were sorry and came and fixed it right away. Also the toilet was very loud.

one of the few places...and I travel a lot...that has that wow factor when you walk into room dar brown white and golds...WHITE bedspread says it all bathroom separated and toilet area small not handicapped avail but was single bed room clean but found dust over tv and mirror above sink and really had to look for that breakfast has everything that paid $15 at another place dinner very good but need more help as only two serving verious areas including seating and ate among dirty tables but going back twice again so will see...

The hotel staff and rooms were great! We had a lengthy stay due to my brother being in the hospital. Everyone was helpful Ana's curtious. The resturaunt has great food we ate their every day because food was terrific and the staff was very good to us and very friendly!

We visited Madison to celebrate a birthday with pouring rain for two days. Our room was larger suite that worked for our group to enjoy a visit with friends and vey efficient shuttle service . Will be going back

We stayed there when we attended crossfit games, room was comfortable and had all the amenities needed, Free shuttle to crossfit games, nice breakfast, Nice Pool. We stayed for 2 nights in August 2018.

So apparently the "PLUS" makes all the difference! I stayed at this Best Western for a conference and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. Clean and new/well maintained modern furnishings, but mostly loved the Keurig in the room (normally you just get a rinky dink drip machine, right?) and the small fridge (so important for me when traveling). The "gym" was only what you see in the pictures, a treadmill and a few weights, very small room next to the pool (which was closed for repair/renovation) and hottub (open). ALSO, the complementary breakfast was great too! Service was friendly and helpful, complimentary shuttle wherever you want to go (just plan in advance), but also I walked to many places like Trader Joe's... just overall a great stay.

Very Good hotel and location with helpful staff. 20 minutes walking distance from UW Madison Union South and Smith Hall. Staff at front desk were helpful. Coleman was oustanding. Breakfast was nice. they have a shuttle to and from the University and they are MOST accomodating.

*This review only highlights the room. I did not have time to use the pool/exercise room/breakfast/etc.* Room quality was good. The hotel seems to be a bit older (1980s or so); it shows in some areas, but you really have to look. For the purpose of providing a room to sleep, it did the job well. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, the thermostat kept the room nice and cool. The water in the shower is extremely hard. You won't have any confusion if any soap is still on you... Make sure you bring lotion :-)! Overall, good hotel in a good area. Front desk service was great!

They had a shuttle available to take us to the University as my was getting a tour of the school. Great breakfast, clean, nice staff, parking was free, restaurant had gluten free options and there was popcorn for an afternoon snack.

We have been coming to visit Madison for the last four years and we always return to the InnTowner! Great accommodations, breakfast and service! We have never been disappointed! Staff is very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I chose to stay in Madison overnight as I was to have a medical procedure early the next morning, and didn't want to drive the 75 mi. in the wee hours of the morning. Our room was wonderful except for a minor problem with the toilet. Evenso, a darling Rebecca came to my aide. She will know if she sees this. Due to my health situation, I couldn't enjoy the free breakfast, however, we plan a trip back at some point when I can indulge in it. Everyone was so accommodating.

I was visiting the Grandkids and this place was perfect. We spent 3 days here and of course they loved the swimming pool and hot tub. I loved the breakfast because they had a large choice of foods to eat. The room was very quiet and clean. Its close to the freeway and many activities.

For me, the Best Western name has been synonymous with budget-friendly. This visit changed my impression of the Brand to one of superb customer service, clean, comfortable, outstanding breakfast & well-run. The hospitality by every single employee was second to none. The waitstaff, bartenders, shuttle drivers, housekeepers and front desk went out of there way every interaction to satisfy our needs. It was well decorated and organized. The food for free breakfast was served on actual dinnerware, not cheap Styrofoam like so many other hotels. The food was always fresh and stocked. Very well done! We look forward to our next visit at a Best Western Plus, but particularly this hotel in Madison!

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. It was clean and convenient. The pool and hot tub were clean. We were able to take the shuttle several times, which saved on Uber. This was convenient to the downtown area of the Capitol as well as the Memorial Terrace.

My 3 night stay @ the Best Western Inntowner was excellent. Great location, clean, and an exceptional restaurant (burgers, tacos, shrimp, and a great happy hour)is located in the hotel that has great service! Our server/bartender went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming and enjoyable, thanks Victoria!

Clean hotel with a really nice free breakfast. Free parking with shuttle to the Univ of Wisconsin campus which we used once. It's also less than a half hour walk which also did. I don't know of our rate was subsidized by the university for orientation purposes but we found it very reasonable for a hotel with these amenities and this location.

I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. We were in town for my son's SOAR activity at the UW- Madison. I will book this hotel when I come to visit him during his school year. The shuttle service was an awesome amenity.

I have stayed with the Western Plus InnTowner Madison on several occasions over the past 10 months due to UW hospital business. They are an excellent choice for me, close to the hospital, shuttle transportation, clean facility, friendly staff. I am always comfortable and safe.

This was the best breakfast bar we've had at a hotel. The beds were comfy and the hotel is clean. We will look for Best Western Plus hotels on our future trips. My entire family enjoyed our stay. The boys enjoyed the pool area too.

What an incredible experience at the centrally conveniently-located Hotel! You can actually open the windows of your room and get some fresh air in the room and the day staff was amazing the shuttle staff was unbelievably accommodating took us all over the place didn't need to drive once while we were in Madison the room service was wonderful the housekeeper was incredible and organized our room for us the next day we had left it like a bomb went off and we came back and unexpectedly found everything beautifully folded hung up and everything put perfectly so we knew where everything was

The location was perfect for my procedure at the hospital as we drove up the night before. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Quinn at the front desk was very inviting and pleasant. My husband enjoyed the happy hour and food on site! The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. I happened to leave a pair of sandals behind and thanks to Quinn, he managed to get them mailed to my home. Above and beyond care and service! We plan to stay again in the future.

As soon as we were greeted at the front desk by a pleasant young man we knew we had made the right hotel choice. He was pleasant, helpful and courteous. The service stall was very accommodating and the breakfast offerings were very good. Finally, the shuttle drivers were prompt and courteous. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hotel due to a family member being an inpatient at UW Madison hospital. This hotel was very close to hospital and they worked together to provide a good price. The room was spacious and very clean. The restaurant provided excellent food options. Hotel staff was very friendly staff and easy to work with. I would recommend staying here in a heart beat.

My son and I spent a night during his SOAR experience. You should ask for the special room rate. We parked our car here and the shuttle took us directly to Union South, so we didn't have to pay or find parking on campus. When we we finished for the day, we called and the shuttle promptly picked us up. We scheduled a shuttle for the morning, and again no problem there. Breakfast was great, and friendly staff!

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this one is among the best, relatively speaking. Convenient parking, sparkling clean facility, nice staff, comfy room with all the necessities, i.e. internet, fridge, Kuerig coffee, micro, lots of TV stations, classy bedding & comfortable bed. A wonderful breakfast buffett...hot, fresh, clean, and well-managed. A nice little sundry shoppe next to front desk. A definite gem!

My family utilized this Best Western on a recent visit when our family member was in the hospital. The staff were warm and friendly and the service was great. In particular, we had wonderful service in their restaurant and were lovely woman named Victoria Andres Velasco--she was attentive and very good at her job!

I was there over the weekend for my niece's wedding and had a great time. The shuttle bus driver was marvelous and I appreciated the free rides! The hospital is just across the street and the proximity to the Capitol is marvelous. They had some issues with the air conditioning during this hot weather which caused them to close the bar and restaurant early on Saturday which was my only real complaint.

Lodging at BW was the best decision we made for outpatient surgery. Took their free shuttle to UW Hospital and didn't need to worry about parking. It was a 5 min ride. Front desk and staff were outstanding . OH my gosh the restaurant food was sooo good with great happy hour deals. We went back twice and sat outside. We had bruschetta appetizer twice, it was so good and fresh. The free breakfast had biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, oatmeal and so much more. Thank you Victoria Bravo and Emanuel for taking such great care of us and thank you to everyone for making our stay so pleasurable.??

I stayed here with my mom who was having surgery at the hospital. The hotel is owned by the hospital and provides a shuttle to and from, very convenient and on time so you don't have to worry about finding parking! Victoria Bravo was an amazing waitress! Super friendly and reccomended her favorite apps and entrees, all her suggestions were delicious and almost all are made in house! The prices are amazing for both food and drinks and they have a happy hour. The restaurant has a lovely patio to sit out on as well which we did. I definitely recommend this place however I will say that the bed was awful. It's possible if you are sleeping by yourself it isn't so bad but as my aunt came the night I stayed, I shared my bed with her and we both woke up with awful back pain and I didn't sleep very soundly Because of it. My mother who slept in her own bed however had no issues, so it may be a hit or miss. They do have a pool but I didn't get a chance to check it out. Either way for the convinence and in hotel restaurant I highly recommend.

When we checked in...Jack - behind the desk could not have been more helpful with all the information he gave us! Next...we were tired. So, Jack referred us to the restaurant in the hotel - which is such a plus when your so tired. We had drinks and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Serviced by Victoria Bravo - what an asset to Best Western. Food was good, drinks were fabulous and the amount of courtesy and efficiency that your employees have is a GREAT reflection on Best Western in our opinion. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating.

Excellent facilty and staff Parking is plentiful but a bit tight Excellent location, easy to find and access. I stayed because of location to hospital. Privides shuttle service to hospitasl, clinic and local shopping

the location was very convenient as it was right across the street from the hospital. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good. We did use the excellent courtesy van to the hospital.

all good except little insulation in the walls......I stay at this Best Western when my husband is in the hospital. They offer shuttle service to the hospital and local restaurants. Very nice plus Badger burger was pretty darn good.

Walking distance to hospital and shuttle is available. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory and can be improved with higher quality of eggs and bacon. Coffee was instant brew and must be improved if the breakfast buffet to reach the highest standard.

This is our favorite hotel in Madison, clean, comfortable, great breakfast! Really close to Camp Randall! Friendly employees! Our bartender, Victoria Bravo, was amazing and made the night cap we had so much more enjoyable!

My daughter (11) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our first room had some issues, and we were immediately moved to another room, which was perfect. The first night, the pool was COLD but the second night it was perfect. Everything was clean, the staff was wonderful, and the beds were super comfortable. Will definitely stay again!

We've stayed here several times when my husband or son had surgeries at UW-Health. It is so convenient, especially with the free shuttle service which is so very appreciated. Everything about the hotel is a great experience - the breakfast, the staff, and the rooms. Probably the best hotel restaurant we've ever eaten at, and we travel a lot.

You won't be disappointed with this hotel. Amenities are top-notch. Free Breakfast is restaurant selection quality. This is my go to hotel in Madison, even if it requires I drive a bit further than usual. They could use more handicap parking spots.

I've stayed here a number of times. The hotel itself is fine; very clean, food is decent. The staff however seem very inexperienced and unable to follow through on requests or provide services unless reminded several times. More training and supervision would help.

I think the pricing for this hotel is high for the quality. Much of it has to do with the location and its proximity to campus. The room we had was spacious with nice decor, but the lobby and entrance are not inviting at all -- it seems very congested. The building to the back entrance of the parking lot is convenient, but would not unlock using our key card, forcing us to go around the building each time to enter through the main lobby -- even in broad daylight.

Our room was clean and had modern decor, the breakfast had plenty of options and was good. We visited the restaurant and had some delicious food the day we arrived. They offer Free parking and a free shuttle to places within a 2 mile radius which I've never seen anywhere else I've stayed before. Overall it was a great stay and would stay there again

We stayed here for two nights with our 17 year old who was touring University of Wisconsin. The room was large and clean, the breakfast was good, the staff was very helpful and friendly! They told us places to go for dinner so that The Kid could get a feel for the college life there. Location was not super close to the school but Madison is pretty easy to navigate.

This was by far one of the cleanest hotel I have stayed at in a long time! Rooms are large and tastefully decorated. All common areas were cleaned continuously. The free and fresh popped popcorn was a nice treat in the afternoon and I loved having a keurig/coffee in the room. Breakfast was better than your average run of the mill continental hotel breakfast. All in all a great stay in Madison.

The service is wonderful and the breakfast is nice. The rooms are pretty big. The gym is very small if you're looking to workout. I recommend the suite if you can get it because it has a large room for friends/family.

Visiting the Madison area for a visit to UW Hospital. Stayed in a King room, the bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. The complimentary breakfast was great with lots to choose from. Hot tub and pool were well taken care of and a nice area to relax. I would definately stay here again.

The buffet style breakfast was very good. Room was clean, Bed was very comfortable. We would stay again. Free Wi-Fi. Free shuttle and Free Breakfast, Very close to VA hospital. Would recommend you stay here.

Clean, friendly, helpful. Best hotel we've stayed at in 10 years! Our room was really nice, with a queen bed, a recliner and a nice desk chair so my husband and I were not restricted to just sitting on the edge of the bed to watch TV. Staff was outstanding. Shuttle service to and from the hospital was a welcome relief. Food was excellent, we werent looking for a gourmet restaurant.

The parking was inadequate and seemed to be in a construction zone. There apparently is no dress code for restaurant (ie bare feet PJ's) Yuk! The elevator was extremely slow, and only one. The room was very clean and beautiful.

Here at the hotel for high school swim meet. Anyhow the hotel was great, pool was great, it was nice they had pool and exercise center. Anyhow what comes with Madison is at night it can get loud. I could hear kids running down the halls, some drunk people, etc. It had a nice restaurant downstairs that was nice and the hotel had micro shuttles to get you around Madison if needed. Would definitely stay here again. On a weekend we paid about $150 per night.

Comfortable place. There was a basketball tournament in town so the place was packed. Parking was difficult but staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and modern. The walls seemed thin. We could hear our neighbors talk and shower. We were close to the pool and the hallway noise was loud, even at 2am, so it would be tough for a light sleeper. Overall the facility itself was great.

My spouse is having treatment at the nearby UW Cancer Center so we've been staying here every 3rd week for the 18 weeks. Our room is always vey clean and the staff is awesome. The breakfast is perfect and has good healthy choices. It is always vey quiet. They offer a free shuttle to and from the hospital and the wait is never more that a few minutes. All and all despite the reason for our visit, we are very satisfied with this hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I give it The travelers thumbs up for being a very pleasant hotel, with a secure and convenient location. The beds were comfortable, good breakfast, (I found some healthy choices ) and courteous staff.

Very well maintained hotel chain. Very close to downtown & only a few blocks away from the UW-Hospital & VA Hospital which for me being a disabled vet was very convenient. Room was on 4th floor. Very nice sized room, well maintained & clean. Only issue was the cable network would cut out and pop back on. The room was very quiet with very little outside noise which was nice as I just had three surgeries that day & was exhausted. The real only problem my wife & I had was with check-in. There were two young men behind the counter. The one we had seemed very distant and did very little interaction when we asked questions. Due to my surgeries that day, with being a frequent reward customer, I asked if we could be bumped up to a room with a whirl pool tub as I was extremely stiff/sore from surgery. With out even attempting to make eye contact or even check to see if a room was available, he just mumbled; “Nope, and you didn't book a room with one!”. I was too exhausted to bother with it and went to our room. Other than that issue we were very impressed with our stay.

Reservations were easy to make, front desk arranged for storage of frozen food, clean rooms, close proximity to UW campus and access made easier with shuttle service to campus and airport, the breakfast was included with the room and was tasty

Don't strip old paint and repaint the room below me in the freaking winter time!!! My room on the fourth floor smelt so bad of fumes, I had to get a different room after 3 hours because my lungs and the inside of my nose and mouth were burning so bad. At first it was not that bad and I thought it was just a bathroom cleaner because I had to wait 20 mins for my room too be cleaned by the maids. And, since my room was a King Size suite, I stayed in the living room area until bedtime at 7:30pm. It was 10:30pm when I awoke with the fumes so unbearable that I called the front desk, who sent someone from maintenance up. The maintenance guy walks in the room and says "Oh yeah, wow that is really strong, uh...well, we stripped the old paint from the room below you two days ago so we can re-paint it...and that is where the fumes are coming from". I called the front desk again and asked the person themselves to come up. He did and was taken back by the fumes when he in walked in! He says he'll get me a different room on the third floor; however, on this night Madison, WI gets hit with a snow storm and there are only two rooms left, neither is a King Suite (I really wanted the suite because of the whirlpool). The replacement room was only a King room, but at least it was wheelchair accessible, which is another reason for me wanting the suite because I am in a wheelchair. With the replacement room key in hand, I now had to move my personal items, and that is where the staff came in to help me. I give them great marks. In fact the hotel staff is very nice, the rooms are amazingly clean and I would've gave it 5 stars, but now I give it 3 stars. Why? Well, who strips old paint and repaints a hotel room in the winter time? You cannot open windows for ventilation and with the heat on the fumes rise easier. The sad thing is the maintenance guy says "Yeah, we did another room like this, on the first floor this past summer, and it smelt bad like this on the fourth floor!" Thus, I can only guess that someone, the owner, the maintenace supervisor or the painting contractor is a complete idiot and knows nothing about stripping paint or painting rooms at all! Those fumes are toxic and the area should be well ventilated and used when outside temperatures are above 50 degrees...it was near zero degrees that night. Lastly, I chose this hotel because it is located only a block away from the UW-Hospitals and I had a Pre-Op for surgery the next mornng. Since I got no sleep that night even after changing rooms, my Pre-Op day was very tiresome. Also, I was going to stay a second night, but decided to go home. I don't blame the hotel staff, nor the state of the hotel because it's actually very nice. In fact, I am going to stay again this coming Friday, February 15th. Mainly because my surgery will be the next day, but also too give the hotel another chance. If it all goes well, I will upgrade my responses...let's hope they are not paint stripping or painting another room by then!?

We stayed overnight so that I could attend medical appointments at the UW Hospital which is right up the street. I had several appointments spread throughout the day - we had a great nights rest, fantastic breakfast buffet and the shuttle got us to and from the appointments without hassle. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was nice.

The room was nice. Comfortable beds. Clean. Good pillows. Mini-fridge and microwave. But two things to keep in mind. This is a hotel heavily used for out-of-town patients for the nearby hospitals/doctors. It wasn't a big deal to us, but if you are squeamish about sharing a breakfast buffet with people who aren't feeling so good, this might not be your best choice. Also, the staff at the front desk overcharged us for the room and would not resolve it because we booked through AAA. (Still fighting for the reimbursement.)

Hotel is very clean from lobby to restaurant to elevator to rooms. It is a very short distance to the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (even walking distance if weather was suitable) and a shuttle is available as well as ample parking. We ordered room service and it arrived promptly and was hot. I needed to bring breakfast up to the room for my husband and staff provided me with a tray. Check in went smoothly and express check out is offered. Room 205 amenities include a hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, free WIFI, large swivel TV, ample storage if needed, one suitcase stool, one chair and side lamp, desk with lamp and Keurig coffee maker. Bathroom was spotless and shower was excellent. Stool flush is very loud and forceful but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Vent runs in bathroom when light is on. . Hotel is across the street from a great Italian restaurant called Lombardino's. I would highly recommend this hotel for any purpose

I enjoyed my stay here. The shuttle to the hospital was very convenient. The tea,coffe,water in the lobby was enjoyed. The in-room Keurig too. The pool is closed from Dec. 31 to January 23 2018 . They appear to be re-tiling it. I used the well-equipped exercise room. I enjoyed it during the day on a sunny day as it has lots of natural sunlight. It seemed cramped and dark at night though. Extra towels were requested for the room and they arrived nice and quickly. The breakfast is not as convenient as at the Hampton Inn for the kosher traveler as there is not disposable ware out. No available info about whether the bagels,etc were kosher. Amazingly they offered Silk almond milk in small tetrapacks when requested!

This hotel was wonderful. The shuttle was great taking it to the clinic. The breakfast buffet was the best we ever had. We don't usually eat at the hotels breakfast because there is very little selection. But this hotel had a wonderful selection.

I will only stay at Best Westerns. The Hotels are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there are always extra amenities. The fitness centers always have good equipment, and the restaurants within the hotels are always very well run.

So pleased with this hotel and the amenities offered. Mu husband had major surgery and they took all the hassle of transportation away. Had to extend my stay and they made it so easy. I am very impressed.

I don't own a car and have a ton of roommates, so at 1 or 2 am this is a fantastic location (next door to work!) to dip in and get heavenly rest on the great beds on my "weekends" off. Right on the main Metro #2 line too.

Arriving in the early evening in sub zero temperatures was made easier by being able to park close to the door. We had a quiet and restful New Year's Eve In the morning the hot breakfast hit the spot and we had mimosas with the left over champagne from the night before. It was too bad that the pool and hot tub were not available that would have topped the trip off. I would have thought that constructions would have waited until after the Holidays,

Excellent hotel near the university. All staff (from housekeeping to front desk clerks) were incredibly friendly and helpful. Parking was adequate and breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back !

When the shuttle driver stuck in traffic and could not be on time to drive us to shopping area, the Hotel manager got out of her Office and become a second shuttle driver, now,, this is service.

Stayed in beautiful Madison at this hotel for a few days. The staff are so friendly and helpful (and that includes everyone) and the place is immaculately clean. Food was cheap and good. Room service was straight from the kitchen and very generous. Thanks to all of you guys. So nice to experience some mid west hospitality

We visited Madison to attend the winter graduation at the university. The Best Western InnTowner was the perfect place for our stay. The free breakfast buffet offered something for everyone, the location was very convenient, the staff were friendly and helpful and the bed were comfortable. We used the shuttle service several times during our stay, and they were prompt and courteous. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the InnTowner for the Wisconsin-Michigan football game weekend in November. Our suite was outstanding-a real value. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel was packed, the staff did a great job of cleaning, setting up the breakfast, and helping with the shuttle schedule. The UW campus is within walking distance (we walked on Friday night) though we did use the shuttle on Saturday morning to save time and we used it again on Saturday night to go to the city center. The shuttle is a really positive feature-other guests were also using it to get to College Game Day, the Kohl Center for hockey, the medical center, and the campus/downtown area restaurants. The breakfast is great and there were several staff members on hand in the dining area. The bar area is a friendly area and a good place to meet people and the bartender was personable. This is an all around fine hotel.

The shuttle service was excellent. Free breakfast in the morning was excellent. The area had plenty of room to accommodate all persons eating. They also offered to go boxes to take back to the room. Rooms were large and beds were comfortable.

We had a great stay while my dad was in the hospital. They go out of their way to help people accommodate people who are in town because a loved one is ill. Great breakfast as well. We will definitely stay here again.

This was our 4th time at this hotel in within a year......using the UW Health Service to arrange accommodations. This hotels staff are friendly and accommodating to your needs. The rooms are very, very clean.....and the breakfast variety could only be topped by the the staff greeting everyone with a smile and good morning while attending to the buffet food. Having stayed at alot of different hotels.....I can honestly state this one and its staff "First Class". Thank you for making the reason being there a little less stressful.

This is a great choice to stay at while visiting your College student, or for any home game weekend visits! There is a free hot breakfast buffet as well as a free shuttle that you can sign up for in advance. There is a bar attached as well. The room we stayed in had the sink and mirror in the main area, separate from the shower and toilet, which made it easier to get ready with 2 people. There's a refrigerator in the rooms as well.

Arrived early to get parents settled for medical appt the next morning. Brittany Smith cordially checked for an open room and granted early check in. Efficient check in and she even offered to have my parents take advantage of the still opened breakfast bar. Knowing it was the day after a home U of WI football game I was surprised an early check in was available, but I only had to see the room service staffs working to understand why ... really hustling and organized. Great experience and I'm confident my parents will be well taken care of in staying here for their medial need at the nearby hospital.

We made reservation through UW-Health Guest Services and were promised shuttle service to and from Transformations for my wife's surgery the next morning.. Upon arrival, we attempted to make our reservation for the shuttle and were told by the manager that the shuttle won't take us to Transformations. The other person at the front desk argued with her that the shuttle has gone to Transformations before but she insisted that they won't. We both fought with her until she finally agreed to see about it. It was like a nightmare. The next day, after my wife was out of surgery, I had to call to let the shuttle driver know when to pick us up and again the same manager argued with me, over the phone this time, while my wife waited in recovery. She said the shuttle was busy and would not be available so we had to take a cab. I told her I was not going to try to take my wife, fresh out of surgery, back to the hotel in CAB. After a few more minutes of battling her, she agreed to send for a van and the hotel would pay the bill. Finally some sanity. The whole experience was very stressful in an already stressful experience. If I had 3 thumbs, I would give it 3 thumbs down. Bad experience.

Very clean hotel with excellent staff. From check in to check out we were treated very nicely. The room was well decorated and clean and the beds were very comfortable. They also have a nice complimentary breakfast.

We stayed overnight prior to an early surgery. The room was comfortable and helped assure a good night's sleep prior to going for the surgery. The hotel also had a shuttle available to take people to the hospital.

Great location for a college trip. Clean, good food and great staff. Business office available to print boarding passes and several convenient restaurants in the area. If you do not feel like going out food is fine in the bar. Wake up to a great free breakfast in the morning.

My wife was in the hospital and I stayed here for 3 weeks over the past month. Friendly staff, clean rooms and short distance to the hospital. The shuttle service is quick and convenient. Parking can be a challenge on the weekends, but no issue during the week.

The Bestwrstern plus was a good value. The hotel was clean and the staff was good. The bar staff was terrific and very helpful. The location was not central to Madison but it was good. Room was comfortable and clean and the hotel was well built. Meaning you couldn't hear a lot of noise once you were in your room. Would recommend this hotel

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. Good place to stay if you are visiting UW-Madison as the campus is within a 5 minute drive. The complementary breakfast is good with a nice selection and, if you have an opportunity to stay the evening, the dinner and drink options are wonderful. I will definitely be staying here again when I return to the area for business and leisure.

We booked our 2 rooms over 6 months in advance. Upon arrival, one room was correct, the second was reserved as a King with sofa sleeper for our daughter/son-in-law and 5 year old Grandson. We were told there was no such room available, although they confirmed that, yes, this was our reservation. We were then told that no cots were available but they would give us extra blankets for our grandson to sleep on the floor! Terrible!!

Paid $300 for 1 night to be close to camp Randall. Arrived and there was no place to park. Very small parking lot. Front desk manager said since check-in was not until 3 I had no rights to parking before the game. I get that game days are busy and people who stayed the night before may not have left, or had multiple cars. However, when I arrived after the game there was still no place to park. Waited for a half hour before we were parked. Frustrated, I asked if I could just cancel my room. They said that should be no problem at all! However when I said I booked through hotels.com they said I would need to call them for my cancellation. So I called hotels.com who was willing to cancel the reservation. Everything was nearly canceled until the overzealous front desk manager decided that she was only willing to refund 50%. I travel frequently for business and I will never stay at another best Western. In the end they offered nothing to make up for the problems with the parking. We are now in the room which is not very nice. Pictures posted.

Stayed one night for a business trip, everything was fantastic. The only thing I could say is that the waiter we had was a bit flaky, either he had too much to do or wasn't on his game. But the food was tremendous! The bed was very comfortable, very clean.

Our first time at a Badger football game and this was a perfect location for our families to meet and stay for the weekend. We took advantage of the free shuttle, taking us to the Farmer's Market then transporting us to/from the game. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. A fun atmosphere for Badger Football.

The room was very comfortable, temperature was adjustable for our comfort. The ice machine was close and the room was quiet for sleeping. the shower was clean and the water was nice and warm. Staff was very friendly at check in and check out!

The motel offers rides to the hospital and back to the motel. The food is very good. The only downside the breakfast (some) was not hot, warm but not hot. Oatmeal was good. Thank you to all the staff, very accomodating

Everything was basically satisfactory with the exception of the bathroom door not opening properly (hit the toilet), lighting in room is very dark, and consideration of guest parking was completely missing.

Our son and daughter-in-law just moved into a new home on the west side of the city. Normally we stay downtown because that was where they lived while attending grad school. This seemed like a nice area, right between downtown and their new place. Excellent location near the hospital. Close to the lake. Close to downtown. And the price was affordable! Not a run-down hotel, but looking modern and up-to-date! The workers were all very friendly. We would stay here again.

Updated, clean, terrific staff and service, fantastic free breakfast selection, in hotel restaurant but upscale restaurant across the street as well as a bar with hand packed fresh hamburgers a few doors down, sufficient parking, and it is close enough to walk to Camp Randall

High level of maintenance and friendly staff. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Excellent shuttle service and great location. Hotel restaurant is good and there are a number of local restaurants and coffee shops along with many in the State street area.

Conveniently located for those visiting the UW and Vets Clinics, this hotel needs to add another type of trip: medical. The food is as good as the rooms. The hotel is also conveniently located to shopping and sightseeing. Madison has so much to offer and Best Western Plus Tower Inn is one of them.

When going through the stress of a hospital test or a loved one having to stay a few days BWIT has helped to make our life less stressful. We were close to the hospital and during the winter a warm shuttle that transfers wheelchairs are so helpful

My friend and I were attending an event at the UW-Madison Union and the hotel was sensibly priced, in a convenient location, but far enough from the party atmosphere in downtown Madison on a warm Friday night. We were very pleased with every aspect of the InnTowner and would happily stay there again.

Visited during the Cross Fit competition week. Staff at the Inn Towner was excellent to make our stay warm and inviting. Hotel has been remodeled and the rooms were great. Kudos to Colton Tarter of the staff. He transported our group around town and always gave us great information on places to eat and visit during our stay. His suggestions helped us have a great week. Will stay here again!

I haven't stayed at a Best Western in a long time. I was thrilled to see how updated the decor, amenities and services were. Top notch breakfast, friendly staff and convenient location. Highly recommend.

Friendly and accommodating hotel. They opened the breakfast and provided shuttles early for Ironman racers and guests. Location is convenient for University of Wisconsin and downtown Madison. Hotel looks like it was recently remodeled. The breakfast service is fantastic.

We where are staying at the Best Western under stressful circumstances, my mother-in-law was having surgery at the UW Hospital. The staff at the Best Western were so accommodating and really made our stay very pleasant under stressful circumstances. The hotel was very clean and the location was fantastic. the shuttle service was so convenient as was the free continental breakfast and having a hotel and Lounge in the building. We also enjoyed using the pool and the hot tub. The free coffee and Coldwater available 24 hours a day was a very nice touch as was the popcorn available in the lobby in the evening. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would go back. Probably one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had

Great hotel, awesome location. The problem is crappy customer service. When an employee sits and smirks at you about a problem that is when you lose me. We got back from a wedding. Come in to parking lot and completely full. Not just the parking spots but nearly every curb has a vehicle and you could barely fit through because of all the illegal parking. Go in to talk to the front desk which said park across the street at some business or go to the public parking ramp. Nope. I asked the employee how can you allow this. Does everyone have a pass? Shrugged shoulders and smiled at me. Anytime I spoke just smirked at me. Sorry, no way do I find this acceptable and no way will I ever step foot in a Best Western again. As paying customers we have choices which clearly do not matter to their employees.

Nice location close to the U of W and the hospital. The hotel runs a bus shuttle service which is really convenient. The hotel has the best western look and feel but it wears it with a modern touch. I enjoyed the breakfast, the exercise facilities and the hot tub. My double room was smaller than I'm used to in a BW. Perfect for the solo traveler but cramped if you are traveling with younger kids.

This was our third visit and everything was as good as it gets. Excellent, friendly, professional service from the front desk to the housekeepers. Very nicely appointed rooms with great beds, the nicest clock radio we have seen, and even a Keurig coffee maker. Also, the rooms are super quiet. You don't hear any hall noise or flushing toilets and showers. We were here for a Badger Football Game and the complimentary shuttle was very convenient and appreciated. I have to mention the wonderful included hot breakfast buffet is always a treat.

When you stay at a Best Western, you always know it will be consistent and good. This was not our experience at the Inntowner. It was amazing!!! Far beyond our expectations. The hotel has been updated and is very posh and the rooms are beautifully finished. The staff was very friendly. Hotel has a great location. Thanks for making our stay in Madison so great!

I stayed here when moving my daughter into UW housing. It was so close and convenient. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed. The hotel is clean and comfortable with basic amenities. It is a very good value. It is not a resort but great for visits to UW medical center or campus.

My husband and I went to Madison to go to several breweries during the day and at night the hotel shuttle took us anywhere in the downtown area. Loved the hotel! We will stay again. We are Platinum members and used our points for the night!!

The hotel was a great location near downtown Madison. The lobby, pool, fitness center, restaurant, and breakfast were all excellent, and my room (two queen beds) was very nice, clean, and modern. As a part of a wedding, we got a group discount for the rooms, so it was an EXCELLENT price for the location and quality of the hotel.

size, handicapped room. Was clean and excellent. Amazing shuttle device used extensively for family outings and for the wedding. An actual crib for the little one, able to put it in the bathroom with a rollaway door so the kid was separate from us and could sleep well. Pool was available to use, family members took advantage. A great FULL free breakfast with plenty of time to take advantage in the morning.

The Best Western Inn Towner has become our home away from home when we visit our daughter who lives in Madison. We have been coming to this hotel since 2015 and we have never been disappointed. Great employees all around. Front Desk recognized we were eligible for an additional room discount and initiated that discount. Breakfast was tasty-perfect light crispy bacon! Shuttle service was fast and friendly.

We canceled a reservation over the phone and were told we would receive a refund, which we were apparently lied to as now they are refusing to pay us a refund even with our cancellation number. If we just would have been told the room is not refundable we would have stayed at this location, instead of staying with other friends in town

We were in town for the Crossfit games and were very happy with the city and hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gave free shuttle rides to the event. Rooms very nice and clean. Food options were great and taste perfect.

Spent the night here prior to a surgerical procedure.Very clean, efficiently run. Staff friendly, lots of smiles. Rooms were well laid out, clean bathrooms, internet slow at first but eventually caught up. Noise problem if in rooms over front entrance or across from elevator, but, overall quiet environment.

We were in town to go to the UW Madison Hospital for surgery for my husband and the hotel was very good location to the hospital and places to eat. Good staff and clean rooms. There is a restaurant in the hotel which is very handy for early morning appointments and late nights.

nice place to stay that was near hospital, loved the shuttle service to the hospital, excellent breakfast. clean, will definitely go back, nice bar, very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, fast and easy check out

Very comfortable. Staff was great. Extremely appreciated the shuttle services. The driver was very helpful and made sure I knew where I was at, knew where to get picked up and had everything I needed. If there was one area that I wish was better was having a lunch option at the restaurant would have been nice but had some options to buy in the market area. They were spendy but available. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Nice beds, sheets, comforters and temp control. Decor appears recently updated. Bathroom had 2 mildew spots about 1mm diameter, the only complaint I can make. Excellent hot breakfast with several attentive staff. keurig coffee maker in room. Ample free parking.

A truly wonderful three days and nights, great hotel, wonderful room, state of the art furniture, decor, very comfortable king bed and amenities, excellent service and friendly personnel. And the hotel shuttle was a really terrific benefit. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations; we would make a point of returning to it next time we are in Madison.

Shuttle service was not up to par for are group. We were told that we had full shuttle service when we made a group set aside for are rooms, that was one of the reason we set up with Best Western. About a week before the date to use the rooms we were told the hotel that they would not offer the shuttle to us because it was 1 th. of a mile farther then they go with the shuttle. They said shuttle would only 2 miles and we need to go 2.1 mils after many phone calls they agreed to help us.

This is one of the best hotels that is best situated in the City of Wisconsin and has the best caring staff members. The hotel has great amenities with a very good lounge where one can relax. The rooms are smart and clean and the internet which is complementary is quite fast. There services are quite fast.
