Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel

I live near the hotel and have known the Manager and most of the staff for many years. Whenever I need to stay in a hotel, I always stay here. The entire staff always treat me like family. Unfortunately, I had mold and water damage in my master bedroom and had to move out. I was there almost 2 months during the remediation and remodel and I felt right at home. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Whenever I have guests coming into town, they too, stay at the Best Western Hotel. It is my go to hotel! It's in the best location. Right on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

Cannot fault this hotel. Great location with bus stop right outside. Good breakfast options to start the day. Beautiful pool and friendly staff who kept some of my luggage whilst I went travelling to another state for a few days. Stayed at The Andaz across the road last year, The Best Western was cheaper and is now my go to LA hotel.

A magnificent hotel with no complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend to anyone. Breakfast is lovely, pool area is stunning and the rooms are super homely. A huge thanks to Carlos and the rest of the team who made us feel extremely welcome. See you next year!

Great boutique hotel, classic decor and very clean. Lovely little pool area, comfy rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Great western themed restaurant across the road and pizza place. Location great for exploring LA. Breakfast facilities ok, pastries, apples/oranges, juices, tea and coffee with 3 hot plates which varied each day and oatmeal.

I'm currently still a guest at the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel, and is been such a letdown I feel compelled to write this review whilst still staying. First of all, the guest rooms are in a desperate need of a full refurbishment and upgrade. There's next to no pressure in the bathroom sink tap, the decor is outdated and shabby with the room resembling something from the mid seventies rather than 2024. There is far too much furniture in the room (three chest of drawers?!), a noisy fridge which I had to unplug just to get some rest and also a rusty shower head in the bathroom. It's just not a great experience. I went to get some breakfast this morning as yesterday the hot offer at least looked mildly tempting (there is no barista style coffee offering, so I've been going to the neighbouring Pendry hotel for my morning hit) - and the 'sausages' had completely changed shape from yesterday into somethimg I can only decribe as looking inedible and way past it's best. If you miss breakfast by 5 minutes, they lock the doors to the room with people still inside?! The offer overall is poor with cereal, stale croissants and an unappealing environment. The previous day before discovering the Pendry, I attempted to get some breakfast tea and requested some oat or almond milk as it didn't appear to be on offer. After speaking with two servers, I was handed a carton of vanilla flavoured almond milk with a straw attached. Gave up from there - again, this is the present day and you really have to get with the times if you're going to offer a contemporary and welcoming stay. We booked via the website and to say the accommodation gallery photos are misleading is an understatement. I don't know where these photos were taken, but it certainly wasn't at the Sunset Plaza Hotel. Also, their offering is out of date on the website - when we enquired about the hotel arranged lift to Universal Studios displayed on the site, we get told my the lobby that this is out of date since Covid?! Maybe update your website then? Just a thought. Just an underwhelming experience. This is my first time in LA and it's such a disappointment to endure a sub-par hotel when all you really want is a memorable experience. Sadly, this stay will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Plus side? Bed is comfortable and the pool area is pretty, and the hatelappears to be kept clean but the team. Also, the staff we've encountered so far have all been friendly. So the things I'm most disappointed about are the rooms, the breakfast and the offer. All pretty big tick boxes in my book.

The rooms are comfortable, modern, clean, and reasonably priced. The staff is attentive and friendly. The hotel is located in a very nice area, and I felt safe and secure on the premises. I will certainly stay here when traveling to the area in the future.

The location of the hotel is perfect and we couldn't believe what we got for the price!! The room was clean and spacious, the pool area is beautiful, and you can walk to a lot of great spots! The area felt safe for three girls traveling to Cali for a fun getaway!

The location of this Hotel is fantastic especially with the bus stop out the front door. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and are a great size as we had four adults in a room with two queen beds and there was lots of room with our seven suitcases! Our room was 224 which was at the rear so no noise. The breakfast was great which included fresh waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, muffins, pastries, omlettes, hashbrowns and sausages. All that one needs! I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Art Deco style hotel in the heart of Sunset Plaza on Sunset Strip. Our beautiful large room and great shower was at the back, opening out onto the relaxing, pool area, almost mediterranean at night, and was so quiet. For us explorers, the bus stops right outside and we took advantage of the detailed info sheet from the reception staff, for many interesting places to visit. We went to the Observatory which has a fascinating planetarium show and wide views across the city. The Comedy Store is right across the road, book before you arrive as it sells out quickly. Great location for restaurants and bars. Love this hotel.

In late January 2024 our young family stayed at this motel, the accommodation was clean, safe, easy to find and well located to nearby eateries and sites, we even had a city view from our balcony. What really made this stay was Albert & Nikki at reception. We had some issues with transport with our young family and we were quite stressed about the situation, Albert & Nikki went above and beyond in providing us directions, printing out documents, calling private drivers for us etc.. Then Albert gave our family a private tour of LA outside of his normal working hours giving us an authentic LA experience which we will remember forever, genuine lifetime memories. We cannot thank Albert enough! Outside of this there was complimentary breakfast and a laundry which really helped make our stay more comfortable. We have returned home to Australia and are telling friends and family of this wonderful stay and customer service.

It's a little gem. The decor is old Hollywood. It's well kept with a fine staff and breakfast was lovely. I took it to my room and ate on the balcony. Highly recommend. The neighborhood has food and fun nearby. I felt lucky to find so nice a place.

The location of the hotel was excellent in a really safe and lovely part of Hollywood. The staff here were the best I've come across in all my years of travel. Couldn't of made this experience better if they tried. Offered us a free room upgrade with a door to the pool… & also a private tour around Los Angeles seeing all the famous landmarks! Rooms were really comfy and the included free breakfast was the icing on the cake!

We arrived hours before check-in and the front desk had a room ready for us! We stayed 2 nights and were recognized by name each time we passed by the front desk. The staff was quite friendly and provided insight as to sites we might like to visit. We loved our stay

My husband and I recently had a 3 night stay at this hotel. It is in a convenient location on Sunset Boulevard, we used the underground car park for the duration of our stay ($29 a night) and then used Ubers to get everywhere. We stayed in room 201. The bedroom was very spacious with a huge comfortable bed, a safety deposit box and a beautiful and modern bathroom. The room they serve breakfast in is very small so be prepared to either wait for a table and share with a stranger, or take your breakfast up to your room to eat. It was disappointing considering it is such a busy hotel you would expect the breakfast service to be much better, and there was not a great selection of options. The hotel has a small gym and an outdoor swimming pool (not heated). The staff were all friendly enough and helped with any queries we had. You have to request room service each morning, it is not automatically given. The building itself is quite quaint and pretty which is different to most buildings you see in LA. The free WiFi is really fast speed. We felt the price we paid for our stay was very reasonable and the only thing I can fault is the breakfast.

Stayed for two nights to take the family to universal, although the Hollywood area as a whole can be slightly sketchy, this location was secure and private. We appreciated the parking garage and the pool was beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Absolutely loved the bathroom. We we stayed in the suite with our family of five. Breakfast was decent and many options for dietary preferences.

Love this hotel and stay here every time I travel to the area! It's much smaller than the hotels surrounding it, but it keeps it nice, relaxing and not crowded. Check-in is always a breeze and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean & the beds are super comfortable. There is a good-sized pool on the backside of the hotel which makes it feel like you're not right in the middle of Sunset Blvd - great for a relaxing afternoon. It's got a great mix of older and younger travelers but everyone is always chill and just having a great vacation. The hotel is also in a great spot, close to all the major attractions in the area but just a short drive to Santa Monica and walking distance to West Hollywood. It's really convenient for exploring by way of uber to all the great restaurants, bars/lounges, cafes, and great shopping spots nearby. The rooms have all the standard amenities like coffee maker, mini fridge, hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, soap, etc. Very close to local shops if you forget anything! They also have a nice and convenient breakfast available if that's something you look for in a hotel (eggs, potatoes, ham, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, etc.)

Have stayed here twice from Australia now. First time loved this hotel, second time we had a couple issues that made me question our choice to come back. Our room on the ground floor had a lovely outlook and doors to the pool but smelt really musty and damp. It was really off putting. Breakfast rooms are crowded. The second breakfast room upstairs doesn't get replenished of food so you have to keep going up and down the lift to get food from downstairs to go and sit down upstairs to eat. This issue needs to be rectified. Also, there's no longer housekeeping unless you request it. Possibly as a result of labour shortage I'm assuming. The location can't be beaten. A really safe walking area with plenty of food options nearby.

I have no negatives here! I stay here everytime i'm in LA! You are in the perfect location with public transport right outside your door if needed! Staff are always ready to assist, breakfast is great (and free!) beds are comfy. I can't ask for much more! I will never NOT recommend staying here!

Our experience at the Best Western was wonderful. The pool had amazing decor and beautiful ambiance. We enjoyed our room of its size, cleanliness, and decor. The Best part is the staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. It also helps that it's on an Iconic Street with so much to do. We will be staying here again.

Place was great- They could clean the pool area a little more or tell people to clean up after them selves. Other than that the Pool was beautiful. Staff is nice and Vending machines were stocked. Can hear the Car alarms going off in the parking Garage from the 1st floor.

This was a lovely hotel and a welcome retreat at the end of a 3 week road trip, a small Italian style hotel, our room over-looked the courtyard with a good sized pool. The check in staff very super helpful and the location was great, on the outskirts of the town near the Comedy Store. Great facilities in the room; microwave, fridge, proper sink etc. Breakfast was a great selection of pasties, bread, cakes, fruit, cereal, cooked items + yoghurts, it made a great start to the day. Self service laundry on site was an excellent bonus as well.

Ultimately the best place I've stayed in LA. The staff & service is amazing! The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, clean & location is perfect. The pool area is perfect with beautiful shaded seating areas. Highly recommended!!!!

We stayed at the Best Western while in LA for the Taylor Swift concert. The location of the hotel is fantastic! We were able to safely walk around North Hollywood, and get around by Uber. The hotel was very clean and has a really nice courtyard with a pool. They have someone at the desk 24 hours a day, which made me feel safe. The only downside was the food choices at the morning breakfast. Being dairy free (my daughter is also Vegan) we had very little choices. Unfortunately the staff were unable to tell me if the food had dairy in it, so I was not able to eat. They also do not have a dairy sub for cream/milk so bring your own if you want a coffee in the morning. There is a great size fridge in the room, so we were able to pick up what we needed at Trader Joes. I would definitely stay at this location again.

The only good thing of this hotel is the location and the private car parc. Very old. Breakfast among the worst in my entire life, just packed food on board plates. Staff very friendly and helpful. Honestly not worth it.

This hotel is better than “best” western. The staff is awesome, from front desk to housekeeping. The setting is beautiful, the location in perfect for Sunset Boulevard. My family came with me and we were in rooms next to each other. I didn't ask for that, they just figured that out. For the $, it cannot be beaten!

Great location for lots of sightseeing in LA. Close to Universal Studios, loads of shopping, Hollywood etc. Excellent service in the hotel, with spotlessly clean rooms. Suite was perfect for family of 5 with a large bathroom. Breakfast adequate to kick the day off but often crowded early on.

This is a great location and the room was great. There were never any towels at the pool. we always had to ask for more towels in our room as there was 5 of us and they only gave us three towels. The breakfast room is too small for the amount of guests at the hotel. they do not have enough staff in the breakfast area to keep up with the demand of guests. we constantly had to ask for more plates cutlery and food they couldn't keep up with the demand. one of the staff at the front desk was very rude anytime you spoke with her the rest of the staff were very nice. the coplimentary coffee / tea area was never stocked and we could not get a cup of coffee or tea in the evening.

A beautiful hotel. It felt like i was in Europe. Historical building. Lovely plants and flowers everywhere. Relaxing setting. Quiet rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Attentive staff. The Comedy Store is across the street! Legendary comedy club since the 70s. We walked over and caught some great shows a couple times. Great experience. Best Western always on point.

Fantastic. Brilliant location, excellent friendly service. We arrived late and initially we thought it looked a bit dated once we got past the amazing Art Deco reception it as soon as we woke up we immediateLy saw it all fitted in with the classic 30s Hollywood feeling. We loved the DIY breakfast where selection and service were great - breakfast room is a little small so you sometimes had to wait for a table at peak times but small price to pay. All in all, great value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Best Western Sunset Strip is centrally located and offers comfortable rooms and a beautiful pool area. There are 2 breakfast rooms and the staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We appreciated having several electric car chargers in the parking garage.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our unit was on the 3rd floor in the back of the building. Very quiet and beautiful. Never heard any noises from the busy Sunset Strip in the front. Pool area was tropical looking with plenty of room to sit around the area.

Hotel was in a great location to see the sights of Hollywood. There are nearby restaurants within walking distance. Room was very clean and decorated nicely. Staff was very friendly. The one thing I didn't care for was the $26 a day parking charge. However, I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights to visit LA before going on a cruise - in a group - all have been to LA before. Location was great for Hollywood and Beverley Hills Staff friendly and helpful Breakfast standard but plentiful - wish there was more fruit and more variety. Pool area very nice - was chilly so didn't use but could imagine how nice it would be if it was nicer out Face the pool - was very quiet - couldn't hear Sunset and slept well both nights. There is a horrible old carpet smell throughout building - distinct wet/old smell - in the room and halls - it badly needs replacing. It looks clean and we saw a lot of cleaning by staff while there but this is the first to go if they decide to renovate - we kept window open to get fresh air almost the entire time even though it was December. We'd book again due to everything else but this did bother us a few times.

I received a free night with my Best Western program. The room was better than expected. Bed was super comfy and the staff was terrific. Free breakfast was also quite good. I would definitely stay here again.

Me and a friend stayed here for 3 nights as part of a multi-city tour of America and this hotel definitely isn't your ‘standard' Best Western hotel. First up the location - ideally located for tourists on Sunset Plaza, with a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance; and the famous Comedy Store too. There is a bus stop right outside with buses straight to Hollywood Boulevard. And on the opposite side, a bus stop for the main 2 hop-on-hop-off bus tour companies. The staff were friendly and helpful in all of our interactions. But a special mention to the gent who checked us in, as I asked if there were any rooms available with 2x beds instead of one and be upgraded us free of charge - which was very pleasant surprise! (The hotel wasn't super busy over our stay). The only slightly negative comment to make is regarding the breakfast room. As the breakfast is included in most room prices, it is super busy (as you would expect!) the food is filling and has a good selection. However, the room simply isn't big enough for a hotel of its size - it was overcrowded at prime time, even during our stay, when the hotel wasn't full, so I dread to think what it's like when it is full. However, this doesn't take away from the 5* review - just something to bare in mind.

I don't normally write reviews, but we had such a great experience they definitely deserve it! We have come here two years in a row to celebrate our wedding anniversary and each time we were blown away by the wonderful staff and customer service. They upgraded us to a gorgeous room with beautiful balcony. They were so sweet and even sent us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine! The hotel is in a perfect location right on Sunset and next to so many things. The property is covered with beautiful flowers and has a gorgeous pool. There are lots of choices of hotels but we will definitely be back again next year for our third year in a row!

My wife and I stayed here recently for one night. It is a beautiful property, not your average Best Western. Awesome location in the middle of Sunset Blvd. Lots of opportunities to spot celebs. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning before the breakfast starts so I can comment on that. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because the AC was broken in our room which we didn't realize until the middle of the night as our room got very hot. I reported it to the front desk when checking out and they credited our parking charge which I appreciated. The hotel is very reasonably priced for the area. I would definitely recommended this hotel if staying in the area.

We have stayed here before and this hotel always is clean, the breakfast it exceptional, and the staff are professional and friendly! We had friends with us and the hotel accommodated our desire to have rooms close together. In addition, I had left behind an item in the hotel and when I contacted the front desk, they found the item and held it for 2 weeks until I could have someone pick it up! We will definitely be back!

When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful front desk staff who quickly checked me in and gave me all the information I needed for my stay. The room itself was clean and well-kept, with all of the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel's location was one of its most notable features. Many popular tourist attractions, including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, are within walking distance of the Sunset Plaza. It's also close to a number of dining and shopping options. The hotel's amenities were also excellent. The pool area was well-kept and provided a relaxing oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The fitness center was also well-equipped, allowing me to work out during my stay. I want to thank the management of the Best Western Sunset Plaza for their excellent service and comfortable accommodations during my stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed (including two wireless phone chargers). The breakfast was a little bit of something for everyone in our family. The staff was extremely helpful and even gave us advice on sight seeing. Parking on site was convenient and just an elevator ride away from our room.

This hotel is very conveniently located on Sunset. Despite being a busy area the room was quiet. Room was much larger than typical chain type hotel. Very comfortable bed, extremely helpful staff, and the breakfast options were good. The staff hustled to keep food hot, available and the breakfast room clean. I will always stay here whenever in the area. Close to some great restaurants as well.

Location is awesome near lots of restaurants and down town. we come for our company Christmas party every year and it is always very clean this is why we come back year after year, not to mention the staff is very helpful!

This was a gorgeous hotel with wonderful decor and very professional staff, yet at the same time it was a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel has services that are great when away from home: heated pool, laundry, vending machines and tea/coffee making facilities. The balcony rooms with a view of LA are spacious and special

Amazing locations and friendly staff…highly recommended. We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and the high quality of service and attention to detail remains. The staffs is amazing the rooms have been comfortable and immaculate. In past years we have stayed at The London but I enjoy this hotel more.

My girlfriend and I chose to spend her 30th Birthday down in Los Angeles and could have not chosen a better place/Hotel to do so. Located right off of Hollywood's historic Sunset Blvd, the trip was not short of sights to see, experiences to be had, and foods to be eaten. Deciding to stay at the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel, made for a perfect home base for the weekend and was so conveniently nestled inbetween all the things we had planned. From the Comedy Store being directly across the street, Santa Monica 20 mins away, The Getty Center 15 mins, all the cuisines from around the world within a 10 miles radius, West Hollywood was truly the perfect option. Location aside, the Hotel and its pool (I suggest getting a poolside room) and tranquility away from the energy right outside, properly took care of all the relaxation needed for our densely filled weekend. Hardest part of it all? Leaving. Thank you Southern California, thank you West Hollywood, and most of all a big thank you to the Sunset Plaza Hotel. See you again soon!

Had a Christmas party in the area and Brenda Elias help us set up a block of rooms for those of us staying in the area !!! She was nice and knowledgeable of the area and really made us feel like family !!! I would definitely stay here again !!! Thanks Brenda !!!

This hotel was absolutely great for our visit to the Comedy Store (right across the street). Staff were really welcoming and the rooms were really spacious and well fitted out. Would definitely visit again.

This is my go to place to stay in West Hollywood. It's right in the middle of sunset. You can walk to saddle ranch, comedy store, the viper room, etc. It's also affordable. I recommend staying here if you're venturing out in WeHo!

Nice courtyard and lovely pool. I wouldn't recommend staying here with children… not one staff offered to help carry bags up the stairs. We were struggling with them, beds very firm, the noise from upstairs rooms creaking and loud people walking around through the hallways until about midnight made for a terrible sleep. Walls are very thin. Woken again 2am on last night to people moving around hotel. Great that breakfast is provided perhaps you could ease out all the plastics and individual cutlery and have real plates etc. Very loud aircon in the room. Fridge freezes everything. Just too many things wrong with our stay to leave any better star review.

15 girls- we got room facing the pool on the first floor. What an amazing experience. The rooms were so cozy and peaceful. Bathrooms were just remodeled. Amazing breakfast was included. I can't say enough about The positive experience we had. This hotel had such a good energy. We decided to come here for an annual trip. In the heart of Hollywood. Love love loved it.

If I wrote this review based on our first night it would have been a 5 star one. The location was great for what we had planned. The rooms are very large, the bathrooms have been upgraded and are great, but the rest of the decor is quite dated and could use an update. The pool area is beautiful. The breakfast room does have plenty of choices and they were fine. My review goes down from here we were on the main floor and while sleeping was awoken by our upstairs neighbours. We could hear EVERYTHING! And I am pretty sure they ran a race around the room at one point, so that was it for sleep for us. When checking out I asked if the walls and floors were thin as we were kept awake by our neighbours and all the front desk person said was “did you call the front desk”. No I didn't I was a little rattled when I was woke up and also not sure what calling the front desk would have done? Anyway, if I was to consider this hotel again I would insist on top floor. Also note, that self parking is $27 per day in a non secure lot (the website only mentions a fee).

This is my go to spot whenever I come visit LA. Usually come a few times a year and stay here because of the location and awesome vibes. The hotel itself is really unique and love the tuscan feel...right on sunset blvd. Always have a great visit and their staff is super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Stayed here with some friends while visiting LA for a few days. The location was incredible and the staff was great! I felt really comfortable during my time there. Will definitely stay here in the future and recommend to friends.

Stayed here for a few nights And it was spot On. Room was clean and ready. Breakfast had everything You need and this place is very close to a lot of attractions in west hollywood. The pool is beautiful and the flowers make for a great relaxing experience. Staff was super nice and helpful with everything we needed and made the whole stay very smooth.

My partner and I recently stayed at this location and our minds were blown. Our room was spectacular. We had a balcony that overlooked the beautiful city and a gorgeous pool with a beautiful, enchanting garden. The room itself was very spacious. We spent a lot of time lounging on our balcony enjoying the views over tea. We then enjoyed our jacuzzi tub before hitting the town. Wonderful location, centrally located to all that LA has to offer. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time there. Would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10. You won't regret it!!!!

My experience from beginning to end was amazing here! The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The room quite honestly shocked my friends and I, we were NOT expecting this level of luxury, even if it was in West Hollywood. The beds were insanely comfy, pool was absolutely gorgeous even though we were able to go in due to time restrictions. 10/10 will definitely be back on our next visit!

For a hotel that cost over £1100 for a 3 night stay it was very disappointing. No restaurant or bar, breakfast is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery in a cramped room that struggles to cope with the amount of guests staying, we had to clear our table when we had finshed and put the used plates, cutlery and waste food in an overflowing bin, see photo. There was no maid service to clean and tidy rooms, the only hotel that didn't provide this service in our 3 week stay in the USA. The tiles in the swimming pool were filthy you could wipe the dirt of with your hands, see attached photo. The pool area had work going on around it, the sound of electric sanders and other tools was not very relaxing. Id booked a room with a Jacuzzi bath but the bottom of the bath was stained through wear that we didnt even use it. The hotel is not worth the money.

Used to love this hotel for the amenities and location but have to say it has gone down hill aesthetically and hospitality wise. Had a bug in my bed, pullout bed had a downward incline where your head was lower than your legs, breakfast lacked a variety of foods and lobby had a musty horrible smell. Decor needs a contemporary upgrade as I felt like I was staying at Disney's haunted mansion. So disappointed.

We visited this hotel as part of our tour to the USA staying at 4x hotels. The hotel was basic and dated but in a great location. The breakfast was the most disappointing as booked this hotel purely for the advantage it offered breakfast. The room was tiny for breakfast so had to take food back to room (if you had any at all) 3x days out of 5 we didn't eat breakfast and paid for it elsewhere as the quality was so incredibly poor. No butter for bread, no tea bags, no bacon, no chocolate spreads etc. When asking the front desk for tea bags they told me to go to the store to buy some. Also no daily housekeeping for new towels etc for the week. Room was nice, bathroom spacious, pool area lovely. Just needs some serious updating in some areas (especially the very ropey elevators)

This is a difficult review to write as our dissatisfaction is based on our personal preferences. The hotel is well placed, clean and tidy and all the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is fairly basic but there are enough options to stay the day. The breakfast room is small so getting a table can be difficult in the busy times. The reason that we've scored down is because the hotel does not service your room every day -you have to request this and book it regardless how long your visit is. Clean towels, coffee, bin changes are all quickly available on request. However, we're quite reserved people so we found always asking to be unpleasant. If asking doesn't bother you then this is a lovely little hotel with a clean pool close to many of the main tourist areas.

WOW, firstly, what a location. If you are in two minds about this hotel, don't be - book it!! West Hollywood was a place we realised we would much sooner be whilst in LA for our first time, naively I don't think I realised how HUGE LA is and how spread out all the districts are, I quickly became friends with Uber and used it a lot. We visited Hollywood Boulevard area where the TCL theatre and walk of fame are and I was very pleased we hadn't opted for a hotel there (whilst I am sure there are good places, it just wasn't somewhere we would have wanted to stay) Almost directly across the road from the infamous Comedy Store the location was brilliant. A lovely walk left as you exit the hotel took you into Sunset Plaza, past some lovely places and for us, we only went as far up as The Rainbow and the Whisky, but it was a nice walk. Check in was speedy and the staff friendly and welcoming, we had a room on the 2nd floor and that was below the street level. Our room was lovely, very big with two beds (which were very comfy indeed) a kitchenette and it overlooked the beautiful pool area which was surrounded with gorgeous pink flowers. It was clean and the bathroom large with a very nice shower which was also huge. There was a complimentary breakfast which we had most mornings of our stay, sadly for us as vegans there wasn't a huge option but we were satisfied with toast/bagel and jelly and coffee/juice. I can't think of anything we didn't like about the hotel and we would certainly book again if we came back.

Would stay again! Everything was incredible. Room was average, only thing i didnt like was that the full body mirror was located inside the bathroom door. Couldnt use it if someone was in the bathroom & also couldnt leave it open bc the bathroom door was heavy so it closed itself. Other than that everything else was amazing.

I will preface this by saying, I had to put in a date of when i last stayed. I was actually last there in May 2018 NOT November 2021. I don't take overseas trips every year so that was the last time I was OS. Tnanks Covid! Now on to the review. Just because this is a Best Western, i have zero hesitation in staying in at this exact hotel I stay in everytime i'm in LA! The rooms are spacious and comfortable so you don't feel like you're on top of other people. The beds are so comfortable (for me anyway, I understand everyone is different) which makes for a great night sleep. Yes the breakfast room is small, but you can take it to your room if there is no space. Given this is a free breakfast as well, it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. I found there to be plenty of options, and i'd rather have this free breakfast which sets me up for the day. Saves me going somewhere and paying more and wasting time when i could be exploring. The location is probably the best part. We all know how spread out LA is, but you are on Sunset strip. Bars, restaurants galore, you have taxi's/ubers right outside the door and a bus stop if public transport is easier for you. And if you do have a car (which i find to be your best option), there is a carpark, which does have a carpark fee. If walking is your thing, which it is for me, plenty of places you are able to walk to! I even walked to the Grove from here! The staff are SUPER friendly and very available to assist. We had a family trip in 2019 but our organiser (my dad) had to leave urgently so wasn't around for LA. He actually stuffed up the pricing (exchange rates, and he forgot to leave his portion of the accomoodation) so obviously, we weren't as prepared as we needed to be. But there was no judgment from the staff at all while we tried to sort it out. Sunset plaza BW is also a reasonable price considering where you and what you get. Is it the cheapest? No, however, for everything you get, plus the location, i don't think you'll find much better to be honest.

Speedy check in, room on 1st floor down where the pool is , our room looked onto a wall 2ft away so no daylight a bit disappointing at first but we closed the curtains and kept them shut our whole stay, so it really didn't bother us as we were only in our room to get ready or sleep. Room nice room , coffee machine and fridge and ice machine on our floor. Only complaint no mirror in bedroom, there was family of 4 (2 grown up daughters) so if someone was in the bathroom you could not be doing your hair or makeup, there were 3 mirrors in the bathroom but the 1 you could carry out was a magnifying 1 so no good. Other than that room was good. Pool was lovely it was a really nice sit out area if you had a bit time before going out for tea. Breakfast was good always 3 hot choices then also bread/ toast ,waffles ,cereal,fruit,yoghurt,muffins, drinks, it set us up for the day yes not a lot of tables but you could take your tray up to 4th floor breakfast room where there was more seating up there ,the main breakfast room was floor 3 street level, we didn't need to go to floor 4 as we always got a table. Staff very helpful and friendly always greeted us with a smile, we booked a 3hr bus tour at reception and Ceaser picked us up next day lovely man it was a really good tour and he knows his stuff . We told him we were going to Santa Monica next so he dropped us at Beverley Hills and showed us where to get the bus (a lot cheaper than taxi) $1.75 pp No 4 on Santa Monica boulevard. But you do need to download the Uber app as nothing seems to be near each other and it's so easy with the app. Location is great we were really happy where we were. Restaurants and bars within walking distance. All in all great hotel and location Taxi from airport $60 not including tip used Uber to go back $46 not including tip.

Previous to this year, I traveled all over the US and have stayed at 5 Star hotels every where we went. This Best Western meets those high standards and maybe even exceeds some of those hotels. The location, the staff, the breakfasts, the services, internet, everything is top notch!

Booked the Best Western for the location as we wanted to stay on the Sunset Strip...i wish we had booked elsewhere, it is located in an area where there isnt much nearby, to get to any bars/restaurants required a taxi. When we checked in, the lady at the desk wasnt interested and when we asked her to book us a taxi to go to the Whiskey, she didnt understand what we were saying (despite saying it 6/7 times!) eventually she got it when we asked for a TAXICAB.. she said it would be around 40mins and instead we should get an uber, when we suggested we walk, she was disgusted and said we couldnt..but didnt say why? We stayed for 5 nights and our room wasnt cleaned, i requested more towels on day 3 and stated our wall/roof had what looked like blood splatters on it. The guy at the desk was very helpful and friendly but even then, we didnt get our room cleaned. They painted over the blood splatters and left towels. The 'View' from the room was a wall...no point having windows as the wall was right outside. There was no where to get a drink from and at night when arriving back to our hotel, we had to make sure to buy drinks. There is room service from the restaurant across the road but this closes early. The room does have a coffee maker but when all you want is a cold drink... you need to be prepared before you go back to your room. I wouldnt recommend this hotel and the only reason i am given 2 instead of 1 is for the guys at the front desk who were very nice and polite.

Guest services, front desk, and housekeeping staff, are always super friendly and welcoming. Because of these reasons, I'm always inclined to recommend Best Western on Sunset, to friends and family. I love the pool! Looking forward to booking again!

Staying on Sunset Strip in LA is very expensive. Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza was very affordable and the hotel felt like you were in an old French villa. Everything was clean and spacious. The staff at the front desk were extremely accommodating for the week we stayed there. Breakfast was great! Parking was affordable compared to the other hotels in the area. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is located close to everywhere and the staff were awesome. Beautiful clean and warm courtyard pool. The free breakfast is an added bonus. I would highly recommend this place especially if you have a young family.

This was our last stay on our three week US tour and it was a highlight of the trip. Great beds and room facilities, fantastic staff and located in one of the best pockets on the strip. Easy walking to some of the best eateries and activities while still being reasonably quiet. It's an older hotel but stylish and clean and very LA. Will stay here on our return.

Had the best experience staying here last weekend. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make my stay the best possible. The room was beautiful & spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. If you are visiting Los Angeles or just need an escape make sure you do it at this hotel!!

Stayed here for two nights in July for a family vacation. When we checked in, the manager seemed apologetic about having few rooms left and gave us our choice of two. I was certain by his tone of voice that we were going to be dissatisfied. But our room was excellent- it was huge, very clean, and very comfortable. It's infrequent that I enjoy spending time in a hotel room but this one was a gem. The only negative (and it wasn't a big deal) was that there was no direct way to get there- we had to walk around the pool and down a small flight of steps. My one complaint was breakfast. It was in a tiny, overcrowded room. People were constantly lined up waiting for a table. Food was available in small portions and would quickly run out, then take a long time to be replenished. The atmosphere in the breakfast room was very uncomfortable as a result. We ended up taking our food out to a table by the pool.

Nice clean rooms. Ask for a room facing the pool. I can not imagine how the rooms are that are facing the other side or even the sunset boulevard. Pool area is beautiful but a bit small. Our room had a little kitchen which was giving us a little more space and a table which we appreciated. Self parking in the garage is available, which is perfect and easy to access. We didn't like the breakfast. The room is very small and always crowded. Everything is served in paper and plastic which needs to be disposed at the end. Overall it was a nice stay for a reasonable price.

I had a reservation for 5 nights check-in August 5th. I checked out literally after one night due to the fact that housekeeping was not guaranteed due to covid risks for housekeeping staff. They would only drop towels and sheets upon request. I don't understand how they expect guests to make their own beds and stay in a room without the bathroom and sleeping area being cleaned daily. Such a reduction in service should have been at least communicated before my arrival and not discovered upon check-in, not to say it should have implied a reduction in the room rate. I would like also to point out that the covid concern for housekeeping staff did not seem to apply to guests given the way the hotel manages the breakfast room: overcrowded and not tidy. The rate for such a service is way too much .

The hotel is well located to visit Universal Studios and Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills. We had a room with a balcony and very nice view on the city, really pleasant at night. Breakfast room was too small but we could take our breakfast and eat on our balcony. Swimming pool is superb, with flowers all around, very pleasant experience. Staff is pro, more on functional / transactional than empathy, but it is ok. Parking was a real plus, even its overall capacity is a bit limited, we had to use some of the many spots reserved to electrical cars which were unused. Completely recommend.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. The building seems quite old with a little squeaky floors but actually this is a positive point because it contributes to the a nice atmosphere of good old Hollywood times. At the same time, the hotel is very clean and offers modern service. The patio with swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful flowers and is a relatively quiet place in this loud and busy city. Enough parking spots in the garage. The staff is friendly. The room for the complementary breakfast is much too small, so have mercy for the lady trying to serve the crowd their breakfast.

Good location - just along from Sunset Plaza. Pretty pool area and useful vending machines! Stayed for 4 nights in a double Queen suite - the room was spacious with an excellent living area however we nicknamed it the “Bat Cave” as we had no natural daylight!! Our view was a walk and ,according to the man on the front desk, they do need to mention this on the description of the room.and apparently none of the suites have a view of any sort! To be fair,most of our time was spent out and about however the dark room really did have an impact after 4 nights. Breakfast was not worth queueing for … and you will have to queue! Having spent approx $500 + per night - it would have been nice to have some daylight!! Also do be aware that, due to Covid, there is no housekeeping and therefore you are asked to contact the front desk if you need anything … not quite sure why the housekeeping staff couldn't simply use gloves and masks and it all felt like a very convenient excuse….

I have stayed here many times before when visiting LA. One of the big reasons being the price of the rooms and also the parking which can really add up in America. There were 4 of us and we booked the 2 bedroom room . It has a living area with fridge/tv and then two bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms. One of the rooms is considerably bigger than the other but there are two beds in each room which was what we all wanted. The location is great (you can go across the road to Saddle Ranch for a bite to eat) and also walk up to Sunset Plaza where there are loads of bars and restaurants. An uber is cheap to Melrose or down to Craig's, Sur, Catch etc. We had 5 nights here this time so had a chance to relax at the pool for a bit too-note the pool gets busy in particular in the afternoon and there are not that many loungers. The hotel is very outdated but it's normally priced well if you book in advance and brekkie is included (nothing fancy but a bagel and a coffee for free helps!) I am sure I will stay here again one year! Staff are generally nice apart from the one moody guy on check out-he was bored anyway in his office playing solitaire on the computer but moaned that we wanted to split the bill 4 ways on cards, It was early and there was no one else around but he was obviously fed up and wanted to go to bed!

What a treat this place is. Not too big, not too small with a lovely pool area to enjoy surrounded by plantings. Very good way to end a busy holiday with large commercial hotels elsewhere. This was by far our fave. Suggest requesting a room that has French doors that open up to the pool area to get in fresh air and enjoy this space. A nice spot to sip a glass of wine on a lounger in the evening also. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with fridge and microwave in the room. Walking is easy to eateries nearby too. Vending machine for snacks and drinks on site. Breakfast is busy but has decent choices. No restaurant on site or bar but plenty nearby. Would definitely stay here again and Ken (think it was Ken not Kym) from reception is super helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Wow. I seriously love staying here. The place was fantastically accommodating and in order. The staff are genuine and very helpful; the front desk folks are life savers. This Best Western is like a cool secret garden, yet also within range of all the action of West Hollywood whenever you need. I feel welcome and taken care of here. Thank you!

The hotel was very cute and had a European charm. Strange layout with the check-in on the 3rd floor and pool on the first floor. Beds were comfortable. Service was poor as there were rarely clean pool towels. The poor woman working the breakfast tried her best but the food was always empty and the quality was the worst I have had of numerous hotel breakfast offers.

I loved this hotel! 100% would stay here again! The beds are so comfy and clean. The staff is extremely accommodating and the pool is a perfect relaxing place to enjoy and never too crowded. Worth the stay!

We stayed at the BW Plus Sunset Plaza from July 6 to 10th. We had 1st Floor rooms with patio door access to the pool. The courtyard and pool were beautifully maintained and rooms were clean. Good location and amenities, free breakfast, great tour of L.A. arranged by front desk staff. Caesar was a terrific guide. Appreciated the laundry facilities. The maintenance and front desk staff, especially Howard and Nikki, were courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. A hidden gem.

My daughter and I stayed at the BW Plus Sunset Plaza for four days from June 30 - July 3, 2022. We stayed in a first floor room (room 120. This room had french doors leading directly to the pool area, which was a bonus. The appearance and cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding. Trees and flowers surrounding the courtyard pool area made hanging out poolside each day very appealing. The heated pool water was very warm and inviting and was 8 ft. deep in the deep end. The room had 2 comfortable queen beds with a nice comforter, a nice large updated bathroom and tiled shower and a small table & chairs, microwave, small refrigerator & sink. The AC worked well and kept us cool and the internet worked well too. The large wall mounted flat screen TV had many cable channels to choose from. The hotel is located in the heart of West Hollywood and minutes from Hollwood or Beverly Hills and everthing else on West Sunset Blvd. (Sunset Strip), Hollywood Blvd., Santa Monica Blvd. and Melrose Ave. You will park directly behind the hotel in one of their three garages. Once you're used to parking in the garages, they are convenient and easy to use and have easy access to the hotel. We paid $27 a night to park, which is an absolute bargain in West Hollywood. The complimentary breakfast offered each day until 10:00 am are your basic hotel breakfasts. Nothing fancy. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels, packaged muffins & danishes, orange juice, water, milk. During peak times in the morning, the eating rooms can get congested with people and at times the staff struggled to keep the food stocked, but they did their best to keep food replenished. Many people took their food back to their rooms. Overall, I highly recommend staying at this hotel with your family and friends if you seek a clean, safe and affordable hotel in West Hollywood with a professional, helpful staff.

Best Western sent me an email asking me o make a review, otherwise I wouldn't have posted this. So here it is. Don't stay here unless you like your room 10º hotter than the exterior temperature. It was 60º outside, but inside the room it wouldn't get down below mid 70's after running on full blast for 6 hours. The staff are nice though.

I liked the location and the staff was great. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast. Eggs Bacon, Cereal, Danish and Juices etc. My only problem was the bed was very firm. I have RA and I need a soft bed. Therefore I had very little sleep. The room faced the street and you could hear loud cars. The parking lot is in the basement and anyone can walk in and have access to your car. Which means you can not leave anything in the car. The room was a handicapped room with a tub. I recommend softer beds and softer sheets. A roll in shower would have helped too!

Just a lovely facility. The front desk gentleman was so pleasant and genuinely nice. The rooms were lovely and the facility appeared to be well kept. The pool was picturesque and a great place to relax. The breakfast was just enough. Above all we felt very safe. There definitely was not people just walking in off of the street.

Great location to easily get around in downtown Hollywood. Parking was a little hidden, but thanks to the wonderful service and being greeted by a pleasant concierge named Felipe, we figured it out. Felipe and his team offered us great service throughout our stay. The pool area was absolutely gorgeous. Only things we had issues with were the HVAC system which seemed a bit dated, and a musty smell in the hotel room and throughout the halls. Otherwise, place was clean and big enough for four people, and was definitely a bang for the buck. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I come to California about once a year. We love the bars on Sunset Blvd so decided to stay 2 nights Memorial weekend. I saw many complaints about the parking. It is not a big deal. To check in, pull up to the hotel out front but pull far up due to cars speeding around the corner on Sunset. Many idiot drivers on Sunset Blvd. Check in, then directly behind the hotel is a street where you can pull into 3 different parking entrances. They are tight, but convenient. You need your room key to open the door to get the elevators. Make sure you get a room with the courtyard view. I was confused when booking and ended up with the wall of the building next to us. Literally ZERO sunlight, just vines. Room was spacious, clean, had a microwave/refrigerator. We didn't spend much time in our room, so not really a big deal. Breakfast was great. Again, people complain but US breakfasts are nothing like European. PLENTY to choose from so stop complaining. Various hot options, cereals, various fresh juices, waffle maker, yogurt, fruit, bagels/pastries, hard boiled eggs. Pay attention to the floors listed on the elevator. The lobby is not the 1st floor as you would expect. The staff was great. Everything was clean. Location is great. Starbucks is walking distance as well as CVS if you want to pick up snacks. We used Uber to hit up the bars. You can't beat the price compared to other hotels in the area. Pool was nice, cozy, we sat out there to chill out. Lots of flowers, various seating. We would stay here again.

The hotel was clean, the staff was all very nice. We went to near by bars which was fun, and it was also close enough to Hollywood Blvd for some of the tourist stuff. Definitely would stay there again.

We visited LA from the UK for the first time and were not really sure where to stay. Reading blogs online about where to stay in LA, and also advice on others who had been here before, we picked West Hollywood. This hotel came up top even though it's 3 stars…we were not disappointed. The hotel isn't the most modern, but we thought it was very clean and tidy, but most of all the staff are very helpful. There's a few reviews on here about the breakfast being ‘ok' - it's perfectly adequate considering it's complimentary. There's a choice of hot food (potatoes, eggs, bacon), pastries and breads, yoghurts, fruits, juices, and hot drinks. Yes, it's a paper plate job, but considering you'd be paying $20-$30 for the equivalent somewhere else, it's a welcome start to the day to get you going. The hotel is in a great location on Sunset Blvd, about 40 minutes from LAX ($59 in a taxi from the Tax-it stand - busses to this when you come out of the terminal). Across the road is Saddle Ranch, which we treated a bit like the hotel bar (it doesn't have one). The food was pretty good, the service was great too. A little further down the road (5 minutes) is the Comedy Store, where you can pick up the hop-on-hop-off busses. There's a convenience store a little further down called Pink Dot which we thought was quite expensive (around $4 for a litre bottle of water). There's also Joe's Pizza - highly recommended! We did this one evening and sat around the hotel pool. If we're visiting LA again, we'll be back!

The salt water pool ended up being the icing on the cake here. It was warm, beautiful and lots of seating. It was fairly busy most of the time but there is a nice amount of space. Our room was very large and we had a door right out to the pool. We stayed to walk over to the Comedy Store and the walk couldn't be easier. We are hoping to make this a yearly trip now. Next time I would love to stay 2 nights just for the pool alone. I did not see a hot tub, that was in the hotel description, but maybe it is in the fitness room? We didn't have time to bother to look. This is the cheapest option on that end of the strip and it was still a very well appointed beautiful hotel. We found parking in the underground garage very easy also.

Rooms are a bit dated and could do with a refurb but bathroom was modern with a brilliant shower . Pool area is small but so pretty. What makes this hotel is the staff, the maintenance people, cleaners and the reception staff are so friendly and helpful and really make you feel welcome.

This is the hotel we always stay at and just recently stayed there for 5 nights. We ran into a couple hiccups on our last stay and the General Manager addressed our concerns and reached out to me personally to ensure he made it right! A few things about the hotel: - wonderful location, simply no better location for what we enjoy doing in L.A. - parking is secure in underground garage and still reasonably priced under $30 - large selection of breakfast items - we have always found the rooms clean As mentioned, the few hiccups on our last trip were addressed when the GM reached out to me personally and I will deal directly with him next time. Great hotel, we would stay there again!!! CS

The flowers that wrap around the pool are just beautiful! The rooms are clean and very well kept. Location is perfect - close to restaurants and things to do in LA. It's a lovely hotel for staying in the heart of Los Angeles. Price is right, too.

Such a great hotel in a nice location, and Carlos Morgan was so helpful he made me check in early because I was so tired and needed some rest. Complimentary breakfast was ok, not great but convenient. The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was so charming! The location is right infront of one of the hop on hop off stops so it was very convenient to use this tour to see bits and pierces of LA safely!

We booked a City View Suite with 2 Queen Beds and checked in on 5/6/2022. Our room had two queen beds, a sofa, a desk with rolling office chair and a bathroom with a shower and separate jetted tub. The balcony had a small table, two wicker/rattan chairs and a chaise lounge. So, in essence, we received a room equipped with what was advertised on the website. I'm not going to go into detail about the absurdity of how the hotel is set up with no way to get to a room without going up and then down stairs to reach the hallway with guest rooms. PROBLEMS: Room stunk, it just smelled bad. Like old, old carpet which doesn't get cleaned and just sprayed repeatedly with that hotel carpet spray to cover up the smell. We saw a small frame with a sign reading how the hotel was taking measures to be sure the rooms were sanitized and cleaned and how their level of cleanliness was top-notch. Not really based on what we experienced. The air conditioning/heating wall unit was absolutely filthy. We took a photo to show how disgusting it was and even the maintenance man who responded to our concern said it should not have been allowed to get that dirty. How is this top-level clean? Same with the bathroom fan, just gross and covered with dust/dirt/grime. The carpet had lots of debris on it, little pebbles, some pieces of something like PlayDoh and food crumbs. We asked housekeeping multiple times to vacuum but it never happened. No daily housekeeping available so we were just out of luck. Near the bathroom some of the carpet was pulled away from the floor but never secured. Another section near the sliding doors had multiple large burnt areas. The bathroom was not just dirty but in need of repair. The shower door does not close properly so water pools on the ledge of the shower and the floor. No matter how you adjust the shower head it still leaks out and puddles, making the tiles slippery and the rug soaked. Nothing the staff could do, they said. The wood and carpet just remained wet all the time. Hmm, is that really clean? What about mold? The soaking tub looked to be dirty so we asked for it to be cleaned. A housekeeper came in and said it was not dirty, it was just worn. She showed us it was discolored with dark areas because the surface was wearing away. We thanked her for her time and took some photos of the worn bottom, the chipped and dirt covered jets and the wear near the faucet handles. No thanks, I don't need to soak in this dirt and wear. The sliding door took two of us to open, the tracks were filthy with dirt and grime. We went to the balcony, saw the mold on the chair cushion and never went back out there. We had to move the couch about a foot in order to see the TV and found there to be a used towel, some socks and food debris underneath. We moved it back and used our laptop to watch TV while sitting on our own clean beach towels to sit on the bed. We were told we could ask the front desk to swap out our used towels for clean towels. Good luck with that. We had to ask at least twice, if not three times, for any sort of towel swap. You never knew what you might get: if you handed over a few washcloths and a hand towel you might get a bathmat in return. We never received what we requested, it was just a crap shoot. Laundry was a joke: one washer out of three worked. Another washer had an "out of service sign", the other was just filled with 4" of dark brown nasty smelling water. Dryer worked fine, if you could find a time with no one else using it. Front desk was clueless as to cost of laundry ($2 for broken machine, $3.25 for working machine) and said they didn't know the washers were broken. Another guest stated he was there for 4 days and both were broken the whole time he was there. We always try to look at the positives so here is what could be considered good: Parking is below the hotel, enter from the street behind it and take elevator up after being buzzed in. Breakfast is offered, you may need to go to another floor to find seating, offerings are mostly breads, packaged pastries, cut up potatoes, powdered cooked eggs and sausage. Nothing fancy but could fill someone up if they like these offerings. A pool is within the courtyard of the hotel and it looked to be the nicest place on the property. The pool was cloudy when we went out there, I don't know if that is normal or not for this pool. We looked for other options after we checked in and found our room to be in such poor shape but we had a day-long tour booked the following day and another event the day after. We were able to leave after three nights, instead of the six we had originally booked and were glad to finally escape from the dirt and smell. I would not recommend this hotel until both the physical building and the staff experience an overhaul. I will add that the maintenance team seemed to be the hardest working people on the property. We had a non-working light and a gentleman worked on it (in our room) until he fixed it entirely. Another responded quickly in an attempt to clean the dirty filter and bath fan. Another explained the issue with the washing machines and yet another brought us towels because the housekeepers were gone for the night. They deserve kudos. Carlos, the rest of the staff, in our opinion, does not.

First, let me say that we have stayed here multiple times and used to rave about it. I will tell you - this stay was so disappointing so read on and decide what type of vacation you want. We checked in and were given a room with a BROKEN air conditioner and NO hot water. We called 3 different times and Noone seemed to know if or when it would get fixed. We then asked to be moved. We were moved from a room looking at a pool to a room down below, at the very end of a long hallway looking at a concrete wall (look at photos). Noone apologized, help us move our belongings...nothing!!! Then, we were told there was a note on the account to move us to a room with a view the next day..NEVER happened, Noone ever called. Went to use the laundry room, 2 of the 3 washing machines OUT OF ORDER, with old gross water filling one of them. 2 elevators - 1 was out of service the time we were here making it crowded and long waits for the 1 working. After a couple days, the keys didnt work after a long day... we couldn't access room and had to go to front desk to get new keys. Business center - printers DONT work and no paper. Asked for paper, printers don't work, couldn't checkin for flight. The new room...NO hot water unless you let it run for almost half hour. Let's recap: - NO working air conditioner (room 1) - NO hot water (sometimes you can get some if you leave it running) - view of concrete wall - tired, old rooms - 1 of 2 elevators out of order for days - printers don't work in business center - no customer service or apologies, etc (we were told when we moved rooms, they gave us the 2 queen beds so we "got what we paid for", after having to lug all our luggage down to another room) - 2 of 3 washers out of service ** Each time we walked by the front desk, we would hear someone complaining about having NO hot water, maintenace issues, air conditioning issues. This was heard over and over. Now the positive - location is great for access to west hollywood. We come to L.A. alot...there are many excellent properties that are reasonable and offer a full customer service experience. I don't think we would return to this hotel unless there were significant changes. So disappointing, we used to love it here...

My family and I stayed here for our first time ever going to LA. Finding their parking garage was a nigh mare. After calling them 4 times to file out how to get to their garage we finally asked for a Manager who finally gave us their address to the garage. The garage is so small, don't pull in there if you are renting a larger vehicle like a Suburban. The Hot water, let me tell you! It took the shower 30 min to get hot. When it finally got hot we only had hot water for like 10 min. I was booked to stay here through Delta Vacations and would never come back here. Make sure you do your research and get their address to the parking garage BEFORE you arrive so you don't spend so much time trying to find their garage.

They made extra charges when we leave the hotel without previous notice. One of the reasons that we booked this place, it's because it offers amenities, some of them got us extra charges without even asking or verifying it we used them.

This hotel lives up to the reviews. I would definitely return. I almost didn't stay here because it was a Best Western and I wanted something a little special. The building itself is special. Lovely pool courtyard, Parking cost was reasonable compared to the area. Convenient location. Free plentiful breakfast. Even though I didn't use the microwave, minifridge and stove top, it's a great thing to have if you are staying for a while and want to save $$ on food etc. The hotel felt classy for a 3 star. They accommodated late check out, I did not use fitness center but good to know it's there. Clientele was European and many families. I could see why this is an attractive option for them. No fancy bells or whistle here but you you are getting a spacious stay, lovely pool, free breakfast, reasonable parking cost.

Beautiful courtyard and rooms were large, clean and bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast buffet was average at best, definitely could use more variety and overall upgrade. The windows open wide for a full view of the pool area/courtyard and the city. It was a great choice, definitely will stay again next trip to LA. Price wise, higher than average but well worth the location of the Sunset Strip!

Poor management. Our room wasn't cleaned during the stay, people queuing to get a table for breakfast and nobody organising anything. Low food quality and variety for a 4 stars hotel. Bad value for money as it poorly reach a 3 stars quality. Wouldn't recommend this place.

10/10 for location, same for pool area which is full of flowers and peaceful setting. Ample parking on site but $27 per night. Had a double Queen bed room with 4 of us in; had to change original room for one with an additional area with table, sink , fridge . Breakfast included and a good selection of food and drinks. Downside was less than warm welcome when we arrived (after an 18 journey from UK) and little reluctant to clean rooms, ours was done twice in a 12 night stay. They said for ‘Covid reasons' which I would have thought would be reason to clean more. However, would recommend this hotel without question .

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel. Each stay has been a 3 or 4 day stopover on the way to Vegas. Manager Carlos ensured we were well looked after. Great spacious rooms, friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. A quick Uber will have you at Venice Beach, Beverly Hills for shopping or any of the beautiful restaurants in West Hollywood. Comedy Club also just over the road. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The manager Carlos went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Pool area is so beautiful with Bougainvillea everywhere. Rooms are clean and lovely. Our room had a European look to it with windows, which open, overlooking the pool area. Enjoyed the breakfast. Customer service excellent. Happy here and can't wait to return!

This hotel is a bit like a positive step into the past. The building is clearly sixty or so years old. The furnishing and attention to vegetation and overall feeling is intended to convey that impression. The rooms are clean and clearly renewed including bathrooms. The beds are extremely comfortable and pleasant surprise, full sized pillows. Our room had a generously large balcony. The central pool is a gem. The parking is more than adequate although a bit expensive. The included breakfast was well served in more upscale facilities than normal for this level of hotel. Most importantly all of the staff was exceptionally friendly professional and responsive. In fact I would without hesitation say that the employees convey a feeling of pride in the place and would rate each and everyone we encountered a 10+.

You will definitely book this hotel for the gorgeous pool. It is everything you see in the photos, plus it's warm and salty. However, I don't recommend this hotel for long stays. We were there for eight days and our room was not cleaned once even though we asked, and it took several calls to get clean supplies. We were there for medical purposes and didn't need this extra hassle.

My wife and I stayed here in January 2020 and we had a couple of issues which I wrote about in a TripAdvisor review back then. We thought we'd give the hotel another try and stayed again in February and March this year and we couldn't have had a better experience. The staff, the room (by the pool), the cleanliness, location and amenities were all first rate. We also spent 4 nights at the Andaz hotel over the road as it's one of the only hotels in West Hollywood we hadn't stayed at in the past. It wasn't a patch on the Best Western! I'll definitely be back BW, highly recommended. Oh and the parking is very reasonable at $27 per night.

This hotel is old, but so nice! The pool is beautiful with lots of flowers and great lounge chairs. The room (2 beds) was spacious with an updated bathroom and refrigerator and microwave. It was quiet and super comfy beds and pillows. The breakfast was delightful in a quaint, clean setting with many windows and lots of food options. I would definitely stay here again. Parking garage was also very easy to get in and out of with large parking spaces.

I was in town for a family emergency and looking for a place that was comfortable and would also provide space for me to work remotely when I was back on site. The hotel looks intimate from the outside but it's like a villa once inside. You almost forget you're in West Hollywood. We were on the first floor with doors that opened out to the pool. Room had a large bathroom, an eating area (with sink, microwave and minifridge) and a desk area. Beds were comfortable but the view was the best part of it. The pool area was clean and there was a hidden spot/garden towards the end. The parking garage was well lit and immaculate. Breakfast was good and changed daily (the waffles were light and fluffy). Best of all, the front office staff were helpful, and offered a lot of suggestions for things my mother could do in the area. This will be the hotel I book on my next visit in a few months.

I loved staying at Best Western Plus on Sunset. The room was beautiful, the view from the window was spectacular.. the colorful foliage and pool below, the LA skyline beyond. The king bed was so comfortable, the room was spotless. The staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast was included.. the food was good, lots of choices, the coffee was great, the breakfast room was beautifully decorated and very inviting and warm. I highly recommend this hotel. I had a wonderful experience, and would stay here again.

First of all, I dont know how this place has so many positive reviews because it seriously needs updating and a friendly staff. We chose to stay here because its close.to my son's apartment and we were in to visit him. We had also stayed here about 14 yrs ago and it was pretty decent then. Unfortunately, it looks like they haven't updated anything since our last visit 14 yrs ago. We booked the balcony suite and arrived after our 6 hr flight to the hotel at about 8.pm. When we opened the door to the room it hadn't been cleaned and the hotel didnt have any other suites available for us. Albert, the front staff host, said he didn't know why it wasnt clean and proceed to tell us he'd get it ready. We convinced him to allow us access to another room so we could change as we needed to meet our son in 30 mins. Albert first stated that he didnt know anything about the cleaning of the rooms because he was just front desk help but when I asked for.his manager, he changed his tune and said he was the manager. Not sure if Albert knew what his title was. I sure as heck didn't. We finally checked.into the proper room. The wall.outlets need to be replaced in the balcony room as anything we plugged in kept falling out which was super weird. Doesn't sould.like a big deal until you need to.charge your laptop or cell phone, then it's a pain in the butt to prop items to hold your cord.into the plug. It took 15 mins to get warm water out of the shower head and then the toilet plugged . When we asked for them to come unplug it they brought us a plunger and left. I guess we were now maintenance as well. The hotel has lots of teen and young adults. They proceeded to run through the halls arond 3 am and woke us up. My husband went to the front desk to complain, but nobody was there. Or at least he couldn't find anyone which made us feel very uncomfortable that anyone could come and go as they pleased. Overall, save your money and stay somewhere else.

We thought this was an excellent value for our money in Hollywood. We were very close to many restaurants, bars & nightlife. Felt very safe in this part of town. The room itself was great - we had a city view balcony king room and we also had a corner window overlooking the pool area. The balcony was beautiful and we drank wine at night looking at the views, and then enjoyed the included breakfast there the next morning. We could not hear any neighbor or hall noise, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was great, check-in was seamless and we made use of the EV chargers in the parking garage. We also like the fact that it's self-park so we could access our car as needed. Would definitely stay here again!

I did a lot of research while considering where to stay in Los Angeles, I am glad I settled on West Hollywood and the Best Western Sunset Plaza! The property is charming, very old Hollywood like, and close to attractions and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. Service was good and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Definitely the best cost/benefit option in the area!

We were looking forward to staying here. However,We had to pay over $1200 which was a lot of money so thought it would be good.The room was spacious and clean but very tired looking.We had had a long journey from Uk on arrival the men on the desk were miserable to us and didn't help with our luggage.We were hungry but no food in hotel, so had to order in. Terrible.There was breakfast provided in the morning but I can honestly say it was the worse ever.The sausages looked raw and the eggs were like rubber. Poor choice of anything else. We didn't even bother on the second day.We were very disappointed especially as we had paid so much.

Pros: very clean room. Excellent location: near restaurants and entertainment. Heated, clean pool. Hallways and elevator clean. We stayed in a king suite with a terrace. Beautiful view of LA and very sunny. Had refrig, microwave and safe. Plenty of outlets for charging. Room was very quiet. Cons: Breakfast was continental. There was no milk alternatives such as soy, almond, etc. Eggs are dry. this was "big" for me because I keep away from milk products (lactose intolerant). Room got cold at night and in the morning - thermostat did not work (I presumed that this was a commom LA thing being weather is warm ansd sunny during the day). Please note and in all fairness: I did not say anything to front desk TV did not have a channel guide, indicating times and summary of programs. My room (309) was the very end room next to an open exit door. People would go to this area sit down and smoke (even though there was a big 'NO SMOKING' sign. The cigarette smoke would permeate the halls. Surprisingly, did not go into my room.

From the moment we walked into the lobby, I knew this was a special place. It is so unique, and it reminds me of a hotel that would be on Bourbon Street in NOLA. I love the pool in the middle with the beautiful plants and flowers. The staff is helpful and friendly. I love the location of this hotel away from the hustle and bustle. You can walk to many restaurants, and comedy clubs from this hotel. I will stay here every time I come to LA.

Oasis of beauty and quiet. Breakfast could be better and healthier. Better grade of orange juice and toast instead of sweet roll. Hard boiled egg instead of plastic looking fried egg. Recliner would be helpful for better sleep.

We like staying at this hotel because we find the location convenient, the rooms spacious, and mostly because of the people who work there. Each time I needed assistance or help in any way, they were more than willing to offer help but most importantly, with a smile. It makes a world of difference. If we go again, we will obviously stay there. No doubt about it. The only thing I would change, is the breakfast. But that is just me. I didn't particularly like the different juice they offered or the coffee. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't stay there again!

LA is an expensive town for visitors. We have gone there a number of times to visit our son, and have stayed at the Best Western Sunset Plaza three of those times.It hits the perfect right note for us.The facilities at cheaper places are typically not well maintained or they are in parts of town you don't want to be. Sunset Plaza is clean and beautiful. (Just hang out by the pool.It's gorgeous.) It's on Sunset in West Hollywood...great location. And the staff from the desk to maintenance are friendly and responsive. It is good value for the money. And, unlike some places we have stayed in LA, they do not give the impression that they are too hip. This is the place we will stay every time wo go to LA.

This property is the hidden gem of Los Angeles. The parking is a breeze, the pool is relaxing and quiet, the breakfast changes daily and the room was perfect - the water pressure in the shower was the cherry on top of a perfect stay.

We spent New Years Day night and had a wonderful time. it was beautiful outside so having windows that actually opened was blissful. Our room overlooked the pool on the 3rd floor and it was quiet and clean. Walking distance to a great restaurant. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was spacious, courtyard view was beautiful, staff friendly, prices for lodging and parking were reasonable, location was outstanding for our purposes, and when our flight was cancelled and we needed to extend our stay by another night, the hotel graciously allowed us to do so and at the rate we had secured for our previous nights. Very happy we chose this hotel.

We loved the location. It was easy to see the Hollywood sites. The pool courtyard looks like the show "Melrose Place". They have warm egg & sausage breakfast included, and they had good internet in the rooms.

I like it there and I feel comfortable . I also like the view from the windows. They are nice and have good service. I also like the showers and restrooms I like the large rooms and I like jacuzzis and luxuries.

The rooms are fantastic and the views are great! The staff is friendly and helpful with anything you need! Great location that's close to so much of Hollywood. They serve a hot breakfast, even during COVID.

Stayed one night, couldn't be happier. The staff is helpful +++. I got there much too early, but they found me a room anyways. The room was dark, window to a wall, but I actually really liked it - no pool noise, nice, quiet and cool. The room was squeaky clean and very comfortable. Fabulous shower, comfortable bed. The pool area is absolutely charming, and the perfect spot for enjoy a quiet morning coffee. Breakfast buffet offered gloves and napkins for handling serving tongs etc. Great location. Looking forward to visit again!

We booked the room a week in advance and asked in the comments for a quiet room on a high floor. We arrived at the hotel at four-thirty in the afternoon. At the reception I reminded the receptionist of my request in the reservation . We got room 342. As in any hotel the room should be on the 3rd floor. We searched for the room and did not find it. We went back to the reception. The receptionist told us that the room was below the pool floor at the end of the hotel and sent us with a short and unclear explanation to look for the room. Again we could not find the room and went back to the reception. This time we were told that the hotel employee would be waiting for us on the pool floor and would show us the way to the room. To our great surprise it turned out that in order to get to the room you have to cross the pool (wet and slippery floor), go down not short stairs at all to the back street level and there is a dark and gloomy room that daylight hardly reaches. The room does not have access by elevator and the way to the room is very unpleasant. The receptionist's response when we approached him was very rude - "sorry I do not have another room to give you, the hotel is fully occupied." All the conduct from the moment we arrived was unacceptable at all. Attempt to ignore and send us to an inferior room without any explanation. There was no attempt to go towards us and please us. We were loyal customers of the best western chain and this is the second time at this hotel. To our disappointment we had to leave and look for another hotel.

Extremely dirty hotel pulling bait and switch on travelers. THERE IS NO DAILY ROOM CLEANING AND THE ROOMS and HALLWAYS SMELL LIKE A WET DOG!! -AC doesn't work -Bathroom faucets smell like sewer -Shower was dirty , -locker didn't work -you had to call every time you needed to take a shower and wanted a towel. -The BREAKFAST is yet another bait and switch - they offer disgusting moldy 25 cent pre packed muffins with NO COFFEE and call it breakfast.

This is a nice hotel. We did have issues with the room not being cleaned when we checked in. The front desk staff did a great job in helping us out in this situation. The rooms are nice and the staff was always friendly and pleasant to talk to.

Stayed at the Best Western Sunset Plaza in October. Would stay there again, staff was exceptional, followed covid policies, great location. I really enjoyed the pool, it was surrounded by bougainvillea flowers. We would come out and watch the hummingbirds feed on the flowers.

My husband had a scheduled eye surgery in Beverly Hills at 5:30am. Being from the OC, we wanted to get a room near the facility, but did not want to pay Beverly Hills prices. The reviews of this property were spot on. The staff was friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. The room was very comfortable, with a gorgeous bathroom, and doors to the beautiful pool/courtyard. The parking garages were easy enough to get to if you read prior reviews, or get instructions from the front desk, and a steal for the area at $24. The property is within walking distance to a ton of various venues in Hollywood. Great hotel for a great value. Just booked it again for next week.

The Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza is a piece of Los Angeles heart. With the swimming pool area into a gorgeous garden with beautiful flowers and lovely palms, this hotel is the perfect match between relax and the vibrant lifestyle of the city. Located in the heart of West Hollywood, it's perfect to take the car for a short drive to the most famous places like Hollywood Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills, the Original Farmer's Market and Melrose Avenue. Employers are extremely gentle, committed to improve the guest experience. Rooms were recently upgraded with new bathrooms. Also every room has a little kitchen area with a minibar, a microwave and a small dining room. This was my 5th time here, and I recommend it as one of the best hotel to enjoy your staying.

Truly a gem of a hotel in an area of overpriced “designer” properties. Yes, it lacks the overwrought “grey” color scheme so trendy these days, but makes up for it with a great pool area and wonderful views. Clean, well run.

Visiting from Arkansas - fantastic service, great location, will definitely stay here again. Richard was extremely helpful at the front desk - coffee, scissors, wine opener, etc. The pool was a favorite spot at night - we loved being able to open our windows for fresh air. Loved all the beautiful fresh flowers surrounding the pool area.

It was a wonderful stay , very helpful staff, close to many different destinations, beds very comfortable, but as always on a trip the staff was exceptional!!!! We requested a connecting room since we were 2 separate groups but to no avail and they also attempted to charge both groups for parking although we explained we were all in one car together upon arrival. We were still charged for 2 cars even after check out. We could hear the tv next door after midnight. The parking lot/ garage was super inconvenient. The hotel website did not provide specific details or information with parking instructions. There is no drive way/ area to park in-front as it is a busy street. Not even a sign posted. We had to drive in to the hotel next door to find the designated parking areas. I'm certain this is annoying & frustrating for their business as well. But our rooms were spotless and clean, bathroom looked newly remodeled. The cleaning staff were helpful & friendly.

We stayed two nights at this hotel that is located on Sunset Boulevard (sunset strip) West Hollywood CA. This is a very nice hotel with a beautiful court yard with a pool. A hot breakfast available with sausage, bacon, eggs and waffle. My wife and I would stay again at this location.

This is the only hotel I will stay at when I am in Hollywood! The staff here is beyond exceptional and they always make me feel welcome! They remember my name, greet me with a smile and always welcome me back! The breakfast here is amazing the rooms are perfect. It's like an Italian Villa. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing location and gorgeous rooms!! The suite was clean and spacious for my group of friends and the pool area was FABULOUS!!! Walking distance from great bars and restaurants and a quick Uber to the Hollywood music venues. Will definitely stay again. Oh, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating!

Near nightlife, shopping, and other reasons why you would want to be on the Sunset strip! Literally across the street from the comedy store and saddle ranch, and a short walk away from other restaurants and bars. The staff are friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and a lot less fussy than nearby overpriced hotels. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are updated (with good shower pressure!) and there's even a small kitchenette in the suite we stayed in to keep our beverages cold. Also, the hotel itself has such charming grounds, with a beautiful pool area with lovely crawling vines and old hollywood feel, and a beautiful view of the city. And personally, it hit my must-haves for a good hotel stay: a comfy bed with full-stuffed pillows, A/C that actually goes down to a comfortable sleeping temperature, a nice bathroom, and easy accessible self-parking. Will be staying here again when I'm back in this part of LA!

The Best Western Sunset Plaza is amazing! My friends and I stayed in a suite here while visiting LA for a concert, and had a great experience at the hotel. The facilities were super clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. And the hotel is located right in the heart of the action on the Sunset Strip (located right across from the Comedy Store and Saddle Ranch), so we were able to park the car for the night and walk to different famous places along the Strip. I would highly recommend this hotel!

I have spent short time in Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel and very much satisfied! Very friendly, charming environment, nice, clean room, great location, charming pool area. very welcoming personnel, decent rates. I highly recommend this hotel. And hope to stay here again myself.

Has such an amazing anniversary stay here at best western plus sunset ! The scenery is beautiful and romantic, a lot of nice restaurants and bars in the area so you can go out on the town. The staff is super attentive and polite. The rooms are exceptionally clean! Don't get me started on the amazing jacuzzi tub experience we had in the comfort of our own room. Will definitely be coming again!

I loved this hotel! First, they upgraded us to a suite at no charge, which had a balcony, a wonderful view of downtown, a huge Jacuzzi tub, and slippers! They also checked us in and let us keep our car in the garage even though our room wasn't ready yet. Parking was a little difficult to find if you don't know where you're going so if you are going to be parking your car there inquire in advance as to where to park - once we found out I was able to find it easily and there were plenty of spaces. The bed was comfortable and the balcony was lovely with all sorts of flowers on it. The balcony also overlooked the pool which was gorgeous with lots of flowers all around it. The only negatives about the place were that the closest ice machine was two floors down and because of how far our room was from the elevators it was about a 5 minute trip to get down there and back. Also, while there was an elevator that took you from floor to floor there was a part of the floor that we were on that had a few stairs up and then a few stairs back down which made it to where we couldn't bring the luggage cart to our room so we had to lug all of our bags up and back down those stairs (however, luckily on our way in the nice man at the front desk helped us even though we didn't even ask him). Also, they were not enforcing the mask policy at this hotel even though there were signs everywhere. Almost everyone was walking around without a mask, including in the breakfast area right near the food and in the elevators. The breakfast area was very small too so I felt extra uncomfortable (the only saving grace was that they had an employee making the waffles so that people didn't have their hands all over the waffle maker). Also, there was a girl in a thong bikini (and no mask) in the breakfast area with no towel on getting her butt germs all over the place and no one said a word. I think there should be an enforced policy regarding wearing at least a towel when you're sitting in a public area that other people are going to be using. That made me want to throw up. Overall this was a great hotel in a great location (and was surprisingly quiet given its location on Sunset) - I just wish they had been better about enforcing the mask policy especially given the new strain that has been found in LA especially.

Overall, my experience with this hotel is just ok. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Building Design/Issues: My floor was weird. I was on the same floor as the check-in desk. In order to get to our room we had to go up a very small set of stairs and then down another very small set of stairs. It's fine on its own but when you have heavy bags, kids, and an elderly person, it's a bit difficult. We probably had another option but we weren't offered one. Also, there was only ONE working elevator (two total). And this elevator was slow. There was a complimentary breakfast in the morning. Had the breakfast staples that rotated daily: an egg item, a breakfast meat item, a starchy item like potatoes, and a waffle maker for the hot items. They had assorted pre-packed pastries, breads, fruits, low calorie yogurts, coffee and juices. Nothing too spectacular but it's complimentary. The hotel room itself was just ok... I had higher expectations based on the reviews. The bathroom design, which looked very modern and recently renovated was a complete mismatch to the rest of the room. The bathroom had a modern grey/white neutral color scheme vs the rest of the room which used a tan/brown color scheme that just felt super dated/old. Not particularly bad or anything, just a personal preference. As for the bathroom--I am a shower snob. I love me high pressure and a handheld shower. This one had the best of both worlds. It had the big rain-style fixed shower head (which I don't like) and it had a handheld showerhead with different spray options, which I just loved. Importantly, the room was pretty clean. As a rule for me, even before COVID, I always spray and wipe everything down. One on of the tables by the couch, there was some gross residue that wasn't wiped down by housekeeping--though it was not visible until we saw it on the wiping cloth. We didn't have that issue on any other tables or surfaces, luckily. The bed/mattress, unfortunately, was quite uncomfortable. It was really really firm and unforgiving. I woke up with back, side, and leg pain every morning---an issue I definitely don't have at home. When on my back, the bed wouldn't contour to the arch of my back, which is pretty bad. The single couch in the room was also very uncomfortable. I would hope that eventually, they switch to upholstery that is wipeable as this was all very absorby fabric. The office chair was also uncomfortable and flimsy-feeling; however, as a caveat, I am a heavy person though my partner, who is not heavy, also felt the bed, couch, and desk chair were uncomfortable. My favorite in LA! Love this hotel.he courtyard pool area is amazing!! Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. It is walkable to restaurants, close to Santa Monica Ave for shopping, dining and services. We actually loved spending time at the hotel, by the pool, just relaxing, swimming, reading and enjoying the weather.

Excellent hotel! Stayed for 2 nights. Can't beat the location and hotel has a parking garage. It's about $30 a night which is one of lowest rates in West Hollywood. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful at check in. Bathroom was amazing, great shower. Pool area is in a courtyard surrounded by green plants and flowers. French doors/windows open for a lovely view of the pool. Towels were thick and soft, bed was super comfy! Our room has a small dining table and a kitchenette area with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Can't say enough good about this place and will for sure stay again if I'm in the area!

the rooms here are oversized with plenty of room. Refrigerator, Micro and coffee maker. Breakfast is good but strange they had no cereals. This is the quietness hotel in a big city I have ever stayed at. Desk people are very nice and greet you when you leave or come back for the day. Good location to explore Sunset and Hollywood Blvd. Nice pool area and you can open your windows to get fresh air.

Had a great getaway with my partner! We had an amazing time, everything was very clean and up to date. Jacuzzi tub in our room was an amazing plus and can't forget about the beautiful scenery just outside our balcony. This hotel is a great place to stay right on the sunset strip. If you plan to visit the area, you can't go wrong here. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean. The pool and fitness center were both open.

We chose this hotel because it is a 10-minute drive to Cedars-Sinai hospital, where I was going to have outpatient surgery. We stayed two nights--the night before the surgery and the night of the surgery. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff was all very accommodating, and our room was beautiful, very comfortable and roomy, and very quiet. We asked for a quiet room, and were placed in a room on the third floor overlooking the courtyard and pool below. No street noise, no hallway noise, absolutely no noise. I slept better than I would have at home, and it certainly was better being in this hotel rather than the hospital following my surgery. This hotel felt like a luxury hotel. Although the rates were higher than many Best Western Plus hotels, we were right on Sunset Blvd, and the rates were much lower than many other hotels in the area.

Last weekend I stayed at this best western as a weekend getaway and it blew my expectations out of the water. When I walked in I was warmly greeted by the hotel staff who helped me with all my questions and made the check in process so easy. The atmosphere was wonderful & made me feel like I had escaped to a new place. The room was spacious and super cozy! And the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud and when I woke up I felt like I was still dreaming. I would highly recommend if you are ever in LA to stay at this hotel. 10/10 amazing hotel!!!

Upon arriving we were greeted by friendly staff. The room was huge, clean and well decorated. The windows open and over look the pool and the view and floral landscape was beautiful. The shower was enormous and we loved the overall look of our room for our stay. I love this hotel and can't wait to come back.

After spending a few days in another city and another hotel we were pleasantly surprised when we walked into this hotel. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helped us out with tours and food and made us feel welcome. When you walk in the front door you can hear the sounds of the people enjoying the beautiful swimming pool a few floors below, but the best part was the room! It was very large, 2 big beds, a kitchenette with a stove, microwave and sink. There was plenty of seating including a table for 2 for dining, a desk and comfortable wing back chair. The bathroom was exceptional. A big sink and a huge walk in marble shower. There was small amenities on the sink and in the shower and breakfast is included! Everything was clean and in good condition and we loved the windows that opened up to see the pool area. This place is in a great location right on Sunset Boulevard and is close to everything we wanted to see. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in LA.

We stayed here two nights on Memorial Day weekend. The hotel has a great location if you are going to be visiting LA sites in the Beverly Hills/Santa Monica/Hollywood area. We are a family of 5 and had a two room suite with two Queen beds, a fold out Queen sofa, a small kitchen area (with mid-size freezer, fridge and microwave) and a nice large bathroom with spa tub and separate shower. The free breakfast had one of the best selections we have had during the COVID era. The outdoor heated pool was a private area surrounded by gorgeous flowers and landscaping which made you feel like you were in Italy. The view from the hotel was nice as well. There were underground parking garages that are behind the hotel and easy to access with an elevator. Highly recommend!

Very good location in West Hollywood, walking distance to restaurants and some shopping. Rooms were really nice and clean. When we arrived our rooms were not ready but the staff stored our luggage and when we got back to get the room key our luggage was in the room.

Carlos is one of the managers at this hotel. He makes sure everything about your stay will be wonderful, & it is always fabulous. From the lovely gardens, beautiful pool & rooms, continental breakfast, you are sure to have a great time! Highly recommend!

This is definitely a steal! The hotel is located on Sunset Blvd making it super accessible to the tourist attractions and restaurants. The pool is phenomenal, it is decorated as a French courtyard. The pool is currently open and the modified breakfast was the best I have had during Covid - they had warm waffles!

This may be our new go-to place to stay around Sunset Blvd. We had a room opening to the small but beautiful pool area, really peaceful space. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are updated, service was great. Nice basic breakfast in the morning. Very clean. We love fancy hotels but sometimes you just want simple and nice while saving $$$.

Loved the appearance of the hotel, very specious and clean rooms, we got a room that had doors to the patio where there was the pool and full of flowers, we really enjoyed our stay, great experience being there.

I cannot say enough good things about this property. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcomed. The front staff was beyond gracious, and the room was spotless. The hotel is stunningly beautiful and in a perfect location. My fiancé and I made it a priority to spend an hour at the pool every day because it was so divine! The flowers...the lighting at night...honestly made us feel like we were on our honeymoon! We had breakfast by the pool in the morning, and one night we sat out there with a bottle of wine and were able to just relax. There's a fountain in the back and bistro tables and chairs and it makes for a perfect low-key night! Not only is this hotel beautiful, but the staff is out of this world! I never write reviews about hotels, but this Best Western surpassed every expectation of mine that I felt compelled to. Within seconds of requesting something (a towel, a pillow, or wine opener) Fernando was at our room or the pool with exactly what we needed! When we checked out, we were accommodated with a later time. Further, since we were taking the red eye, the hotel agreed to hold our bags while we went out. Then at around 6pm we came back for our stuff, and were able to hang out by the pool for our last hour in LA! (Can you tell how obsessed I am with this pool?!) Overall, it was the most amazing trip and we cannot wait to return!!

Wow! What a lovely surprise. I've stayed in several nearby properties (Andaz, SLS, Kimpton, to name a few.) This place blows the others out of the water. The BW Plus Sunset Plaza is set amid quiet, lush gardens behind Sunset Boulevard. It is such a quiet and peaceful place to stay but only a few feet from the Sunset Strip. It is minutes from just about anywhere you would want to be in Hollywood. The staff were universally friendly, and accommodated any request my family had. The room was spotless, with a new and very clean bathroom, higher end toiletries, and a nice shower. The bed had a lovely, firm mattress, crisp sheets, and the sounds of birds just outside the window. Breakfast was not gourmet but complimentary. It had been scaled-back due to COVID, but it was still more than adequate. The furnishings and design are older--not a glitzy new Hollywood style. But everything was clean, shiny, and the furniture was all in perfect condition. They have clearly taken great care in maintaining the property. Above all, the value for money was impressive. The neighboring hotels are fine, but they tend to be pretentious and loud. I would return here any time.

We have stayed here at this hotel on three different occasions since 2018. Even with COVID changes, this hotel is right up there with the best. The location is amazing with great eating places all around, and fast access (for LA) to all of the main attractions of the city. The swimming pool courtyard area is outstanding with many beautiful flowers and seating area. It is one of the main amenities of the hotel. The lobby, and hallways are attractive and upscale. The rooms, especially the ones facing inward towards the courtyard, are very pleasant. The room windows are beautiful and open to let in the breeze. The complimentary breakfast has been modified for COVID, but is still available and better than many other hotels. We partook of the made-to-order waffles, coffee, english muffins, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, and water. The hotel employees were all very kind and helpful. Parking in Los Angeles can be tricky and difficult, but the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel has made it easy with complimentary parking in their basement. There are two spacious parking rooms on the back-side of the building, which have elevator access to the rooms and lobby. The pool is spacious and clean. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, and we will definitely be back again.

This was my first time staying at this BW. Ended up here because another hotel in the neighborhood quoted us outrageous price but we liked this place so much that I will always stay here during my future trips to West Hollywood. Rooms are very cozy and absolutely clean. We had everything we needed n the room. he garden and the pool was very good. Breakfast was very impressive given the current COVID-19 situation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the West Hollywood area.

This is literally one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in California. The hotel boasts Spanish architecture with trellises, patios full of flowers, a magnificent swimming pool and clean, spacious bedrooms. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at how well kept and clean everything was, it felt like we were staying in a $400+ Hotel. The BW is centrally located to all tourists sights and literally steps from all the best bars and clubs. I can not emphasize enough at how beautiful the pool and patios were, it felt like I was in Italy or Spain. Will be back in a couple months, thank you so much!

This place was perfect for us!! We arrived early and wanted to drop off our luggage. Check in wasn't until 3 pm but the allowed us to early check in at 9 am! They even upgraded our room free of charge. Breakfast was great and the pool area is everything. Very beautiful. Nice area, very clean room and friendly staff. Great value for the price- the other hotels on this street are double or triple the price, but this place still felt luxurious and had the same location as those. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone!

In the middle of Sunset Blvd. Easy access clean good maintenance of the furniture. The bathroom has all the toiletries soft towels.The room was big as we have 2 big luggage and carry on. The receptionist were hospitable Good value for the money I paid. The only thing was the breakfast poor one as they say because Covid19.

The Hotel is very clean and well ran. The breakfast how was not a full breakfast it was a continental breakfast. So if you are hungry you will have to go out. Covid made it not possible to have a Full breakfast. Other then that We love it here and its very quite and plush and very clean.

I came into the Best Western Plus to just check nightly rates because my Airbnb was canceled last minute and I was greeted by Kimberly. She was so kind and very informative about everything I needed to know about my stay. This made me very comfortable and is why I stayed at the Best Western. Thank you so much Kimberly!

The pool area is so nice I forgot I was in CA and thought I had sleptwalk to Italy. The rooms are very spacious and have little kitchen areas with a microwave and mini fridge. The bathrooms are upgraded and large. Loved my stay!

This hotel was such a gem! The location was perfect, the staff was friendly and helpful and the accommodations were fabulous. Our room overlooked the pretty courtyard and pool. It was easy to forget you were in the middle of Hollywood. There was a digital billboard above the hotel that was pretty bright at night, though you could just close the curtains. I thought it kind of actually contributed to the “Hollywood Vibe”! There are several restaurants within walking distance. The parking was easy and the garage was clean and well lit. The breakfast was decent considering the Covid precautions in place. This is the perfect hotel for a Hollywood stay.

Me and my wife were looking for a last minute stay for 1 night for an unexpected trip. We came across this one and it happened to be a really good price and the perfect location for what we needed. When we arrived, Julio greeted us with a smile and EXCELLENT customer service. Thanks to Julio, we got upgraded to a beautiful suite with an amazing view. I will 100% be returning to this hotel and spending all the money they want to take! Thanks Julio!

My husband and I took an unexpected trip and we had a terrible time finding a decently priced hotel for a single night. Thankfully, we came across this hotel and we booked a few hours in advance and continued our drive. Upon arrival, Julio from front counter helped us feel welcome and even helped us upgrade our stay! I will be returning and they can have all my dollars.

Every person I encountered that worked here was absolutely sweet and personable. Smiles and good mornings and more. We had to add days and stay a little over checkout time because my mom was having back surgery. They worked it all out for us with no problem. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here three times recently, and it is by far the coziest hotel option in WeHo, with amazing views at an affordable price. We like the junior suites at the ends of the "horseshoe" the best; they come with balconies and jetted tubs. There are also larger suites available, as well as regular rooms, some with views. Self parking is very easy and costs half of what other hotels in the area charge. The location can't be beat either. We hope to return in the spring!

We arrived in LA at 4:45 am knowing we can't check in until much later. I called the hotel and they said sure you can wait in the lobby. That was fine with us. We arrive and they say a room won't be available until at least 10, which we were aware of. To our complete surprise they had us checked in in less than 30 minutes. In my opinion they didn't have to do any of that and could have made us wait, but they didn't and that speaks volumes in my book! Aside from that, the hotel is gorgeous and the room is very spacious! We've been here less than 2 hours and we are completely satisfied.

Great stay and it felt clean and coronavirus free! Breakfast was very basic but understandable due to pandemic guidelines. The pool area is great, you do not feel in LA! Also, the hotel is pretty centered and easy access to all LA areas!

Okay I have stayed in this property many times over the years and is my go to place when I am in the area. With the current COVID stuff going on, I was a little hesitant about health and safety of a hotel. I called the friendly staff and they assured me that they are taking all the safety precautions and are compliant with all local and federal rules and more. I Felt better and booked. I am glad that I didd as my experience was great as always and i noticed that tje property and staff are all compliant and aware. One cool thing that I noticed is that they are using a cleaning method that the hospitals and airlines are using to disinfect which gave me an additional piece of mind. I have attached a picture of the information about it that was in my room. Stay safe and enjoy!

Hot cow!!! We loved this hotel!!! We had a beautiful room overlooking the pool AND all of Los Angeles!!! The shower was a dream and the staff was exceptional!!! The lady who made my children pancakes and waffles was so sweet!!! This will be my choice every time I come to Los Angeles. Omg...the price was unbelievable!

My room was a ground floor with French doors opening into a garden, gorgeous, patio. Then you can walk to the pool area. The rooms are fabulous. This is by far my favorite hotel, in the world. I go here for a "time out", from the world. Its absolutely perfect.

Just home from a 3 night visit to this Best Western. The location was great as was the quick check-in and check-out. The bathroom was large and beautiful. Loved the rain shower head. The bed was comfortable and room was a good size. I would suggest a different flooring in the bedroom. The brown was not appealing. We LOVED the pool area. Comfortable lounge chairs and towels provided daily. Having a 1st floor room opening onto the pool area was a plus. However, for some reason other guests seemed to think it was acceptable to have loud conversation and play music at the table right outside of your room after 10:00pm. Not the hotels fault, just inconsiderate people. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

Not what I would call luxury but totally clean, safe, comfortable and enjoyable. Pleasant pool area. Conveniently in the middle of the strip. Easy check-in and helpful staff. Breakfast was exactly what you might expect for a mid-sized hotel buffet breakfast. For the money, considering what else is available in the same price range, would stay again.

While very pretty, I found the room surprisingly disappointing. I flew in 5/16/2020 to take care of some quick family business. The room opened onto the pool area. There was debris blown in from the pool area at the French doors. I had to contend with the other guests getting drunk and moving the iron pool furniture around -- at one point I needed to point out that it was not a good idea to block my fire exit. Eventually, I complained to the front desk about the noise. Additionally, the air conditioner was at the wrong end of the room, so I was either too cold or too hot. And for a 3/4 empty hotel during Corona-virus, $22/parking was ridiculous. I cut my stay short and went elsewhere. Best Western is *the only* chain I travel with, and this one left me highly disappointed.

Whenever I need a place to stay in LA, it's always here. It's my go to hotel because of the location in the heart of the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. The entire staff and management are extremely friendly and accommodating! They recently remodeled the rooms and mine was very clean and beautifully appointed. The room had two queen size beds and the bathroom was very spacious and modern with a large shower and an Art Deco looking faucet. The room also consists of a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. It's perfect for a single, couple or small family. My room was just as nice as any room at a more expensive hotel on the Sunset Strip. Such great value!! My room was off the courtyard and the pool area. Perfect for drinking that morning cup coffee along with continental breakfast or having that glass of wine in the evening! The hotel is ideal for a business trip or vacation! So, the next time you're planning a stay in LA or West Hollywood, definitely make a reservation! You'll be glad you did! I can't wait for my next stay!

Best accomodation we had in the US. Has all the ammenities - business centre, gym, laundry etc as well as a massive free breakfast which was sensational. We had a king room overlooking the pool. It was amazing with all the flowers and little extras like slippers, dressing gowns, coffee machine, fridge and microwave etc. Will come back here again if in LA. So centrally located and as a bonus carparking was $22 a day which i thought was cheap for this area. And it's not valet so that is the fixed price.

We booked this hotel last minute for a visit to the Tolerance Museum. Hotel is very clean, even the hallways which often feel overlooked in hotels was clean. The room was large, had two queen beds and a very nice bathroom. The shower had great water pressure and also felt extremely clean. The beds were comfortable and the room overlooked a courtyard pool with beautiful bougainvillea blooming everywhere. As our room was overlooking the courtyard it was very quiet, we couldn't hear any of the noise from Sunset Blvd. The breakfast in the morning was above average for a hotel buffet and included waffles and other hot choices as well as cereals and toast. We would definitely book again. Hotel staff were all friendly.

Surrounded by some of LA's most famous hotels, the hotel provided a very comfortable and quiet room, an exemplary, professional staff from reception to the supers and housekeeping, which made for a wonderful five day stay. I'm a walker and with Sunset Plaza to the west, Hollywood to the East, and WeHo's commercial strip below on Santa Monica Blvd. you couldn't ask for a better location. Add a pool and a breakfast buffet with the right free newspapers, and all at a great price by LA standards what else could one want.

I love this hotel! The rooms are large and have beautiful wooden windows that open wide to let the beautiful flowers in. It feels like you are in your own private oasis!! We stay here anytime we are in the area.

We stayed at the best Western in west Hollywood as part of my sons WISH trip through children's starlight foundation as he and we were excited to visit Disneyland and Universal Studios.When we arrived we needed to pick up a wheelchair from the front desk staff that had been ordered for my son. They were incredibly helpful and knew exactly where the wheelchair was stored and went and got the wheelchair for us. Given my broken wrist and being in a cast they helped me set it up which was very appreciated.I shared with them how thankful we were to be at their hotel and how much it meant to us to be here as we were on my sons WISH trip. I asked whether by any chance there would be a room slightly bigger than the one we had as it would give us more space and accommodate better his wheelchair. Niki Brenda and Carlos were amazing and when they heard our story immediately shared with us that they would upgrade us to a bigger room so that we would all be comfortable. We were beyond grateful. The hotel location is amazing right in the middle of everything and super safe and convenient. The pool and courtyard area is beautiful like an oasis.We didn't expect the breakfast to be much as it is free but we were very surprised. It was a delicious breakfast with tons of options, including eggs meat potatoes porridge cereals fresh pastries bagels bread juices teas and coffee and More and all of it for free. The hotel is exceptionally clean. Our room was spotless and the beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable. We looked at many other hotels in the area and the prices were astronomical.The best Western is not only affordable but an incredible and amazing place to stay. We highly recommend it. Thanks again to Nikki Brenda and Carlos for such an incredibly positive experience.

This hotel is a beautiful oasis right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the Sunser Strip. Our family spent 5 nights here and loved every minute of our stay. The pool area is relaxing and calm, very quiet and private. We relaxed poolside and soaked up the view of the beautiful flowers and having a room that opened up to the pool was so refreshing for the daily breeze and access. Our favorite hotel staff were Albert, Neida and Jessy, they made us feel so special and talented care of that we felt like we were part of their family. I cant recommend this hotel enough, it is seriously one of our favorite places to stay and we cant wait to come back. Thank you so much for taking such great care of us!

Hotel is exactly as shown in pictures. Rooms are clean, and beautifully decorated. Nice to have microwave and refrigerator and little dining area in the room. The pool area is very inviting with the surrounding flower beds. Very relaxing area even if you don't want to use the pool. The complimentary breakfast offered a terrific variety of hot breakfast foods,breads, fruit, cereals, etc. and coffees and other beverages(open from 7 to 11am). When we called the front desk because the remote was not working for the closed captioning, a gentleman from maintenance was at our door in less than two minutes and fixed the problem just as fast. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here in the future if the need arises.

I know I have said this about some other places, but then I didn't know what I was talking about. Next time we're going to LA for a week or two, no need to consider any other places, even if The Ritz invited us for free. We were incredibly lucky with our room, and got «reasonably close» to the pool. The beds...Heaven! Service? Heavenly! Extra service? ...even better! And so it continues.... Any downsides, well...the breakfast couldn't keep up with the rest. But it was complimentary, so it's not fair to complain about that. See you soon! Giant hugs from Torvi and Bjorn ;)

Carlos the manager and Sonia were exceptional. They really wanted to make me happy for my important business stay. All of the staff were professional and accommodating. Breakfast was included which is alsways nice. Everyone very kind and seemed to love there job.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 night and totally enjoyed our stay. First of all, this is a great location and accessible to so many of the must sees of Hollywood. The rooms are very clean and spacious and beds very comfortable. The pool area is beautiful with all of the beautiful pots and bougainvilleas and fountain. The staff was the BEST especially Jesse and Carlos who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Complimentary breakfast very good with large selection. We will definitely stay here again when we return to West Hollywood next year.

Was plesantly suprised by this beautiful hotel, great location, great service, and better than most Bestwestren breakfast. Spacious roon, clean, quiet, and smelled good too. Even the halls leading to the room was beautiful.

I've stayed here many times over the years when in LA and Christmas 2019 / New Year 2020 lived up to the usual expectations. We know the staff and they know us and always make us feel at home, and being a repeat guest feel that the level of service is raised for us. The breakfast is always nice, the rooms are comfortable and quite spacious, there's always parking, and the location is perfect for a stay in LA. The pool area is lovely although small, but it is a bit of a sun trap so is lovely and warm in the cooler months because the wind doesn't get through. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a friendly experience over a larger impersonal and more expensive hotel nearby.

Horrible experience in this hotel. I used the storage room service at the hotel. I stored 3 pieces. One object (small travel bag) inside my handbag was removed and left outside. Insted of 3 pieces I had stored, I picked up 4 pieces. Someone responsible for my luggage had opened my handbag and gone through my stuff. The luggage contained confidential and sensitive personal items like Passport, driver licence, credit cards and personal records. I was confident that the hotel would be trustworthy. I called two times to get in contact with the manager without success. What transpired from these two calls however, was that explanations of the incident changed each time and new explanations emerged depending on which employee I spoke to. This lack of response made me uncomfortable and I proceeded to close all credit cards and change passwords everywhere. When I finally reached the hotel manager he proved rude and unhelpful. Finally he admitted and explained, that the person, who had kept the bag in storage, had suffered a mishap. He claimed that lost the luggage on the floor and the extra bag popped out. How can an object popped out of locked handbag? Be aware of this.

I have stayed at many of the hotels on and around the Sunset Strip, mostly at the wonderful Sunset Marquis. After passing the Best Western Sunset Strip often over the years my wife and I have always been impressed by its pretty exterior so we thought we'd stay on our recent trip to LA. I booked a 7 night stay and on arrival was met by a very friendly lady who checked us in a couple of hours early and was given room 212. The room reeked of deodorant and my wife me to call the front desk to change rooms as she found it unbearable. I called and told the gentleman on the front desk that the smell in our room was very strong and asked him if we could change rooms and to come down to check it out himself, he said “well if you change rooms you won't get another with a view” and he asked me to come to reception to pick up a key to check room 315, I looked at the new room and although it was dark and felt smaller than room 212, it smelt fine so we accepted it. I was surprised by the staff's response to my asking to change rooms, I felt that I was being downgraded and frankly punished for daring to not be happy with my assigned room, despite having a 7 night booking! I have never experienced this before and feel that the staff member, an older unsmiling gentleman wearing glasses, could perhaps do some retraining in customer service. All other aspects of the hotel were good, cleanliness, facilities and resonable parking charges. I would not stay again after my experience and wouldn't recommend the hotel to friends.

Very good location. Altough on sunset blvd the rooms face the indoor patio and pool (a nice perk for the youngsters) so there is no street disturbance. Clean and big rooms, friendly staff (majority of them bilingual, as in much of the SoCal area), self service laundry room with several machines. Good breakfast and enough parking spaces. My only observation is that the carpet and decor are a bit outdated.

The receptionists were all friendly. The room was rather large and looked newly remodeled, as it was quite clean and updated. There is a good size closet with a safe large enough to easily fit a laptop. To one side, there is a little pop out area with a kitchenette and small dining table and chairs. The bathroom was rather large plenty of space around the sink. The pool area is very pretty, with flowers and plants all along the sides. The breakfast buffet was pretty good with several hot choices (waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, etc) plus a number of pastries and bread. If a view is important to you, then ask for a room on the 3rd or higher floor. The first and second floor rooms are more/less in a basement kind of area and the view is a wall, although with vines along the wall. This was ok for us, as we typically don't spend time in the room anyways.

Clean quiet roomy rooms with nice bathrooms the hotel was clean very well organized my some experience at the front desk was fantastic. The person that check me in was knowledgeable about the surrounding area and very accommodating. It is a beautiful older Hotel very surprising. Great little pool area underground secured parking and the rooms were very unique that I've never seen at a Best Western before definitely a surprise a diamond

Good value for money. Good location in West Hollywood. A good buffet breakfast. Good sized rooms which are clean. Some rooms lead out to patio to the swimming pool. All the staff I met were so helpful and polite. Had a lovely stay and will return again soon

It`s like coming home and this for us now for almost 30 years! The stylish, large, well-equipped, clean rooms; the beautiful grounds with pool, surrounded by palm trees and flowers, The awesome crew, as good as always in a good mood, makes almost every wish possible. The friendly, attentive service staff that has barely changed over time, stands for exceptional management. And last but not least, the great location, right on Sunset Boulevard.Highly recommended !

A great place to stay with plenty of places to eat nearby. Rooms are pretty spacious, very clean, quiet and the beds were fantastic. Staff were helpful and courteous when I needed help. Would love to stay here again.

This is my second time booking at Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza. Breakfast in the morning was a total bonus. We had a nice view of the pool courtyard. A great place to stay for any event happening in the city. Special thanks to Brenda Elias for making it happen!

Brenda was out hiking with the School for Blind Orphans and she punched out a rabid wolverine that came after the kids. This is the kind of concern she shows for people who aren't even her customers. Can you imagine how good she is with the clientele? Well, you don't have to imagine. She takes you into her arms and you soar majestically to Valhalla together on the back of a golden griffin. Not literally, just figuratively. In the service sense. You won't regret being here, is all I'm trying to say. Enclosed is a photo of her standing at the front desk daring problems to come our way.

I would like to thank Brenda Elias for her hard work and wonderful service. We are having our annual Christmas party nearby and she has been very helpful putting accomodations together for us. I will definitely use Best Western again!

Such a beautiful place and wonderful stay, but the true gem was Brenda Elias! She was so amazing and helpful, the process and experience wouldn't have been the same without her! We Will be back 200%!!

This BW is a reasonably priced LA hotel. Rooms clean. Safe did not work. Front desk was helpful. Parking was covered, well lit and very clean. Great location central to everything north of town. Breakfast was average as expected.

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe how awesome this hotel is from the terrific staff, beautiful rooms, wonderful room amenities, great location, gym, fantastic swimming area with beautiful courtyard area, beautiful outdoor furniture and gardens, and easy access to the Sunset Strip. Cannot think of anything that needs improving. We look forward to staying there again when we are in Los Angeles. Some rooms are being remodeled right now but that didn't interfere with our stay. The rooms are beautifully furnished and are not tiny. A great property that is well located to enjoy the Sunset Strip, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Blvd, and Downtown Los Angeles! We'd like to send a big THANK YOU to the awesome team of managers, Mr. Fred, Ms. Sonia, and Ms. Brenda for going out of their ways and making sure we felt like guests inside their homes. Again, thank you!

My family stayed here for two nights. Our check in was super easy, staff was great. Our room was very large and clean. It overlooked the amazing pool area. Parking has a fee. It includes breakfast, which had a good variety. There is a Starbucks across the street. The pool area is like a little paradise, but the water was freezing!! My 8 yr old did not mind but adults did not get in. There is no hot tub. Will definitely stay here again.

Staff amazing! Breakfast was on point! Pool is an Oasis... wish we had more time in LA to enjoy the LA weather poolside. We took a movie stars home tour... that we booked at the hotel. We felt like we got the V.I.P treatment.

This hotel is AMAZING! Beautiful decor. Friendly Staff, Front desk was alway happy and helpful.. Wonderful breakfast, best selection that I have ever seen. Clean neat room and lots of seating. Lots of parking. Walk to many places to eat.

Stayed here for 2 nights in November - the last time I stayed here was in 2011. Warmly welcomed at check in and was given a room with a refurbished bathroom which was actually really nice. Room size was very good and I found the bed extremely comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring the key sights of LA and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The breakfast in the hotel, although limited, was perfectly sufficient and of a decent quality. WiFi worked well throughout my entire stay. Would highly recommend this hotel and hopefully will visit again soon.

We stayed for 2 nights and were in town for a wedding. Our check in process was kind of a nightmare. We arrived to our room and our view was of a neighboring wall that was one foot away. We called our friends who also booked using the wedding block and they all had rooms with a view. That kinda sucked but it wasn't too bad. But then we discovered another problem. As experienced travelers we always check the shower first thing. We turned on the shower and the water did not work. The only way to turn on the shower was to turn on the sink simultaneously but even then only cold water was coming out. We called the front desk and they said they would send over maintenance. Maintenance arrived, verified the problem and tried to fix it. It didn't work. So maintenance said they would tell the front desk and go from there. Almost an hour passed by and we didn't hear a word from anyone. Our stuff was still in the car and we just wanted to get settled already so we went up to the front desk and asked if they could just move us already. The front desk said they didn't have any rooms available and they were working on the water problem but after a minute or two they somehow found an available room. Our room was on the 3rd floor but it was a journey to get to because since half of the hotel was under renovation we had to walk all the way through the dark, outside perimeter of the hotel and when we got to our room our shoes and luggage were dusty. Finally we got settled and luckily everything after that was smooth. If it wasn't for the check-in debacle this would've been a near perfect stay but the lengthy, stressful process left a bit of a bad taste in our mouth.

This hotel was great! My daughters and I had a "Girls Only Weekend" so we enjoyed our stay. Well maintained establishment. Marble bathroom was gorgeous, with glass doors. My daughter loved the lighting. The furnishings were classy. Comfortable space with a separate eating area. My only concern was the temperature setting. It got stuffy and warm in the room so you aren't able to control the thermostat. I like air to be cool and always circulating. The fan could be turned on, but the air was hot, so it felt like the heater was on. The air conditioning couldn't be turned on. I think it was controlled by the hotel.

On the plus side: 1) Hotel is well located 2) Nice facade 3) Easy parking & check-in On the negative side: 1) The pool was not operational with workers equipment and plastic. We were not notified prior, or at the time of booking which was the whole reason that we chose the Hotel. We were simply told after we handed over our visa card at reception that: "the pool is not operational" - no apology or reason provided. No offer of a discount or attempts top maintain our business when we indicated that we would be checking out 2 nights early the following day. This meant that we had to move hotels again which is hugely inconvenient with a young family..but we found an amazing deal 3 doors up at Hotel that I won't name but had free parking and was amazing. 2) There was no cooling in hallways and elevator which were really stifling and hot. 3) Breakfast was ok but some of it served in plastic plates which felt a bit like glamping! Overall, hugely disappointed with a pool being unavailable, the lack of communication with us re same. Hotel just fell way short but I can see the potential

Unfortunately the day before we arrived we found out the pool was being worked on. I chose this hotel because of the pictures of the pool area and it was all torn apart. We were not told ahead which was very upsetting as the day before every other hotel was booked and whatever was left was extremely pricey so we had no choice but to stay I must say management tried to rectify by taking a good sum of money off. I would try again in the future but would check way ahead. It was very clean and a nice breakfast came with it b

Wow, what a fantastic hotel, the rooms were really big and so clean, the outside pool area was beautiful, the breakfast was lovely ,quite close to amentiites. The lady on reception helped pick a tour for us as we were there only a couple of days .

Cozy little hotel with perfect location on the sunset strip in the heart of West Hollywood with walking distance to shopping, restaurants and clubs on ”the strip” Sunset Plaza is my first choise when in LA

Best Western at Sunset Blvd in LA is always improving and adding new features of comfort. My family loves to stay at this friendly and well run home away from home. Every visit we feel the new comfort.

Central and safe location. Spacious rooms, free buffet breakfast and free Wifi. The outdoor pool is beautiful. The area is walkable with plenty of shops and restaurants. All the staff members are courteous and helpful.

Location on the Sunset strip is excellent, walk to restaurants and shops! When the pool terrace is open it is a nice place to chill, pool could be a bit warmer though. Fun Bar across the street, party atmosphere, if you prefer something more family orientated check out Mel's diner.

This was adequate, but I kind of regretted our choice. Our 11-year-old was uncomfortable with the location, busy street, adult-oriented. We ended up finding two decent, inexpensive places to eat dinner a few blocks away, a taco place to the right, and a nice hamburger place to the left (Burger Lounge) though. I thought the pool was kind of crowded so I was not interested in going in, but my daughter enjoyed it. Hotel seemed to be popular with European families, so there were other kids. Our guestroom was in the back, and part of the ceiling at the back was appparently a walkway, and every morning we heard lots of loud footsteps stomping right above us. The room was fine. Parking situation good, but a bit tricky to find the first time. You have to access the garage via a back road from several blocks away, though the garage is directly underneath the hotel. Lots of spaces. Breakfast was typical of hotels with free breakfasts. As others have mentioned, breakfast rooms pretty crowded, but not a big problem. We stayed 3 nights. Staff was friendly enough. Our biggest problem was with the location/neighborhood, not the hotel itself, but it definitely impacted our experience.

You won't find a better place to stay if you want to be close to West Hollywood and surrounding neighborhoods. With rooms that overlook the inviting pool, you are sure to spend time gazing out the window and dreaming about old Hollywood. May be a bit on the pricey side but well worth it.

Ok , we arrived to check in a little early, the gentleman at the front desk ,Carlos saw we were tired and organised for us an upgraded pool room, that alone really made our day. Also thank you very much to whoever you are at house keeping who arranged our kids fluffy toys on their beds { lovely touch} on some nights. Very well located and close to everything, nice work Carlos.

Interesting hotel location, interesting hotel layout, but great front desk service. We had some issues with the room AC where the maintenance person had to come back three times to fix it, but in the end, everything worked out.

Stayed here for 5 days with a family of five from Australia. Great hotel in an excellent location. Was able to access all the sights of LA easily as the hotel is right by public buses and tour bus stops. Also took in a show at the Comedy Store and had a few drinks at the Saddle Ranch chop house. Lots of fun. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on our SoCal vacation and I was sad to go. It's such a stunning hotel. Hotel staff are simply amazing and the room was so clean - felt like home! We had a pool side room and was so convenient with kids to wake up and head to pool!! Thank you for the memories ❤️

I have stayed in Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel a few times and have enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing experience. It is a peaceful place with plants and flowers all over and french style doors and windows that open to a beautiful swimming pool and sitting area. The place is very clean, the staff is respectful, friendly and responsive, and management is great.

Me and my partner stay her for are honeymoon. Their did leave us some special for us was was really love. Really lovely hotel. Friendly staff and helpful Great place. Would come back to the hotel again.

Best western sunset plaza may look old but is exceptional in service, comfort and quality. The staff can't do enough for you, the breakfast is excellent and not the same every day, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the pool always clean and inviting - it is close to stops for tourist buses and local, taxis are outside and restaurants in walking distance.

We stayed on 09/27/19. Front office staff very helpful, even gave us info about touring. Our room was beautiful; room opened up to pool area. Room was clean and hotel smelled clean as well. Breakfast was really good. We will be coming back.

Unfortunately my experience at this hotel did not meet my expectations. I stayed once before and the over all experience was great so I assumed it would be the perfect place to go back to. Upon arrival our check in date was set for the wrong day, the room we were promised was unavailable, they offered only to upgrade us to what we had thought we originally booked only for a hundred dollars more in price they refused to compensate us for any of the errors that were made on their part and my $240 room ended up being a $370 with no receipt to show a break down of what I was charged for. The man at the desk who assisted us was extremely rude and over all it led to a terrible experience. The hotel in itself its kept well the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean for the most part but the staff and service was extremely disappointing.

This hotel is lovely. We had a lovely check in and requested a pool view, which they done for us the next day as they were fully booked when we checked in. The hotel is very Beverly Hills, almost an old school Hollywood vibe. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Great little American restaurant and bar across thread and a stunning rooftop bar just a few metres down the street called Harriets rooftop. Great for sunsets over downtown LA. The area is very LA, chilled, and plenty of things in walking distance. This was a great spot to enjoy LA, the hills, Hollywood sign, Universal. Pool area is gorgeous and staff extremely helpful. Complimentary breakfast was great too. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone and would most definitely return. Well done to all the staff and management here, it made our time in LA an absolute pleasure.

My husband and I travel to LA quite a bit for both business and pleasure. We have stayed at the Best Western Sunset throughout the past 12 years. The cost is responsible and the hotel is located right in the center of the exciting LA action. The rooms are clean, the staff is wonderful and the complimentary breakfast is quite good. We have looked at other hotels in the area for a change of pace but always end up back at the Best Western since we have had nothing but positive experiences over the years.

Excellent location - BW Sunset Plaza is a pretty Mediterranean/Spanish facility located in the heart of Sunset Blvd. blocks away from Mels, Carneys, Chateau Marmot, The Viper Room, CVS, Traders Joe and many restaurants. Breakfast (included) is above average w/ good food options (croissants, bagels, cereal, waffle, hot meal, yogurt ...) Friendly staff especially Jessy (front desk). Decent size room and renovated bathroom (unfortunately not all the rooms were renovated). Clean rooms as well. Good value for a three star hotel in a pricey city.

Lovely hotel. I really loved the ambiance looking out into the courtyard/pool area. So beautiful with flowering vines. I had to take pictures. The room was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. The hot breakfast was really nice. A lot of choices.

Absolutely loved this hotel, staff were amazing and would do anything for you, just really happy to help. Rooms and pool were the dream. Would be cautious of the adjacent saddle bar across the road from the hotel, on week nights they are happy to take your money on week nights but on Friday night they were asking for ID from my 63 yr old parents which really spoilt our last night on vacation.

This motel is fantastic. Situated on the border of west hollywood, walking distance to trader toms and carneys restaurant & Saddle ranch (both have amazing food) Continental breakfast & lightning fast wifi included as well as paid parking. Its perfectually situated for Universal Studios, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Hollywood Chinese Theatre & walk of fame.

We loved this hotel. The location is excellent, close to restaurants, convenience stores and a short ride to the centre of Hollywood. The room was a good size for our family of 4, had all the essential amenities, decor and cleanliness to a very high standard (and I'm fussy!). Our children absolutely loved the swimming pool and the staff were super helpful, allowing us a slightly later checkout before we had to leave for the airport. Would definitely recommend.

We chose to stay at the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel during our recent trip to the US, and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a fantastic location on the Strip, with easy walking distance to many of the attractions, the hop on hop off bus stops across the street if you choose that option too. The hotel parking was easy and in expensive for WEHO area. The hotel itself is an older style hotel, but it was exceptionally well maintained. We had a room on the 1st floor with doors opening to the pool area, which we absolutely loved, the bathroom was recently updated and was huge. The breakfast was great, many options to choose from, even gluten free options, which was great. The staff were extremely lovely, they were able to provide us with a room within an hour of our early morning arrival, they even offered us breakfast whilst our room was being cleaned. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in WEHO. Well done to the team at BWSPH.

My family and I booked a Queen Room with 2 Queen beds at this hotel in June. We were flying in to California from Houston and had made a non-refundable booking at this hotel. Our flight out of Houston got cancelled at the last minute but the airline was able to put us on another flight, albeit longer and knowing we had been charged for 1 night already, we were still glad to make it to California for the remaining 2 nights. We really loved the location of this hotel and the huge size of the room which overlooked the swimming pool. Lots of restaurants within a walking distance and very friendly staff everywhere. We loved the security getting in and out of the hotel too. And the icing on the cake, the Manager, was gracious enough to refund us for the 1st night we couldn't make it into LA due to the cancelled flight. Now, that was over $300 back in our pockets. What better way to end a vacation. We will come back here anytime we are in LA.

Lovely hotel in a central location. Felt safe here as a solo traveller. Easy to get to Hollywood walk of fame etc only 10 mins in the Uber. A range of restaurants nearby. Safe were friendly, everyone was nice. Breakfast was a wide variety and rooms were spacious. Beautiful pool outside too. Definitely returning in the future.

Normally I'd balk at paying $181 a night for a room, even if it is West Hollywood. But I was very glad I did as this hotel was excellent. The room was outstanding. Huge walk in shower which made the renovated bathroom a major success. Bed was amazingly comfortable and afforded me the best nights of sleep I've had in awhile. And soooo quiet. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was from 7-11, not the normal 6-9 stuff, and very good assortment of hot food, pastries, fresh fruit, juices. Guava juice yet, terrific! The $22 overnight parking fee was okay as other hotels I checked were $30 and more. Will definitely stay here again.

I have to admit for being in such a busy area in Los Angeles, this BW made our stay relaxing. The walls are insulated very well. The breakfast is a wonderful addition and being able to get coffee until late is awesome. The pool/garden area was wonderful during the day and the evenings. We really felt like we got away. All staff was very accommodating and helpful. I hope you keep up the great work as we will be back! Great that you have parking also! thank you

Loved our five night stay at this hotel. Staff was really nice. Spacious and clean room. Breakfast was terrific. Location can't be beat-down the street from Chateau Marmont. If you stay there try the tacos at Pinches down the street. Terrific.

Facilities are excellent and luxurious. Staff are caring and knowledgeable. Breakfasts are delicious and bountiful. A perfect home-away-from-home.

Just returned from my vacation in Los Angeles. Stayed here with my son and it was our first time to California. We were instantly welcomed to this hotel and even were able to check in early. Hotel is extremely clean and all staff are friendly. Rooms are big and we even had a small kitchenette with microwave fridge coffee maker and even a stove top. Our room had the biggest window / door that opened onto the courtyard overlooking the beautiful pool. The breeze was so nice and at night you can even see the lights of LA. The courtyard was like a little oasis away from it all and so pretty with well maintained landscaping. Pool was warm and clean and at no time was it too busy to get a lounge chair or swim. The courtyard is also a relaxing way to enjoy the free breakfast. Breakfast was hot and fresh and was different each day. With 2 breakfast rooms and the opportunity to eat outside there was alway room to eat. The hotel is right on the sunset strip in the heart of West Hollywood but even to get to universal studios or Warner bros was an easy and quick Uber/lyft ride, also there are many restaurants on the strip including the saddle ranch right across the road. For those taking tours the starline red route stops right across the road from the hotel also making getting around easy. I will definitely be returning to this hotel next year without a doubt. Thank you for making our trip special and relaxing.

Wow, what a great surprise this hotel was for us. We were welcomed by a very nice hotel staff when we arrived. Our room was ready early and WOW what a room. Big and spacious with a lovely patio and blooming geranium baskets. Room was spotless, bed was very comfortable and room was quiet. Highly recommend this hotel.

Classic hotel with friendly staff, big large room. To fit a family with parking on site in reasonable price. This is my hotel for the next trip. The location is perfect also for families visiting universal studios

Great place to stay!!! Pricey but worth it! Great location- close to attractions like Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive and Hollywood sign. Beautiful rooms and pool area, comfy beds and plenty of food choices. Small exercise facility(no free weights) but enough to get in some cardio.

Once again stayed at the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza and had a great stay. Thanks to Brenda who always assists us with our booking and stay. The upgraded bathroom was a nice surprise. The front desk staff were helpful as usual and we will definitely staying here when we are next in LA.

This is a good hotel which is located quite centrally for walks to Hollywood Boulevard and most things by car/Uber. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel (4 nights). Nice pool area and fairly cheap parking in garage (22$ per day). Only negative remark - they should improve the included breakfast. Not much is needed to make it fine, but right now it is just OK-ish.

Lovely location. Our room faced the pool and downtown. Quiet. Amazing view of the July 4th fireworks. Pool is lovely (a very deep 8' end). Breakfast was quite expansive. Use the 3rd floor dining area for more selection. Staff are helpful.

For the place itself I would put a strong 4. I fell in love with the flowers over the windows and this classic Beverly Hills look, it was as shown on the photos. Pool was a little bit noisy, but not enough to keep us from sleeping with the window wide open. Staff was professional and helping. Room service was assumed by a restaurant across the street; quick service and good quality. I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend this place. However, the room we got (315) did'nt fit our expectations, The bathroom needs a little refresh; the bath is kinda old (stained) and the shower does'nt have a lot of power (had a hard time removing soap from my hair). The carpet is wavy at some places (in front of air conditionner). On our last day, while packing our stuff, we found under the bed an empty can of a soft drink we never bought ourselves to the room, I'm assuming it was there before us... Therefore, I would give a generous 3 for the room we stayed in.

Nice hotel around 20 mins walk from the Hollywood sights - a bit of an Oasis, nice rooms & good breakfast - staff were all polite and keen to help. Let down by there being no bar and the pool being 'cold' (nither of these things were big issues)

This is our second time here. We decided to go back because the rooms are big and spacious... it is clean, the staff very helpful, very positive attitude. The pool is great! If I were to go back, I would definitely chose the same hotel for a third time.

This hotel is an oasis in a busy city. The decor is lovely, hotel very clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful and all appeared to be proud of their workplace. Nothing was too much trouble. In a good location for everything and whilst Uber is popular, public transport to anywhere is really easy and accessible. We lobbed our stay here and wished we had longer. The pool area is lovely , sadly some people ignore the no smoking policy, but the hotel can't do much about ignorant guests.

My boyfriend and I were planning our first roadtrip/vacation together. We asked two friends (who live in LA) which hotel in Hollywood they preferred. Both said BEST WESTERN PLUS! Once we arrived I was amazed at how beautiful the room was. The room had glass doors that opened to the pool. The first day we were out and about we walked all the way to the Hollywood walk of fame. I cant believed we walked that fair, but the walk of fame is close. I know it's June of 19 but I felt guilty of not posting this review for this amazing hotel.

We were well looked after in this hotel, they couldn't do enough for us. Thank you Brenda for making our anniversary a memorable one. Perfect location, close enough to get an Uber for about $7 to Hollywood Blvd to see all main attractions. Highly recommended

European old world feel in this wonderful hotel. It is right on Sunset Strip close to everything. Friendly staff, clean rooms, cute pool and a fairly descent breakfast in the morning. Always love coming back to this hotel to see concerts at the Whiskey A Go Go.

We've visited our son in LA many times, but this was the first time we stayed at the Best Western on Sunset Blvd. Wow! It was amazing. It is an older historic charming building that has been kept immaculately clean and neat. Our room was lovely, large and very comfortable. The pool was relaxing and the setting beautiful. You wouldn't know you were in the middle of the city. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We'll definitely stay here and only here again when we go back for visits to LA. Great hotel! As a plus, it was very reasonably priced and a much better deal than other similar hotels in the area.

Lovely hotel with fantastic pool area. A real oasis in a busy city with beautiful flora around the pool. Rooms comfortable, breakfast great and catered for food allergies. Nothing too much trouble for reception staff. Hop on hop off bus stops right across the street and within walking distance of some places. Would recommend

We just got back from my daughter's graduation vacation to Los Angeles. I want to give a huge shout out to Jessy Moreno at the Sunset Plaza for upgrading our hotel room free of charge. We had the most amazing time. Thank you for making our stay memorable and all about my daughter. The room was amazing, the staff was amazing. The breakfasts were delicious and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. Thank you for providing us with the best accommodations possible, we will remember this vacation forever.

We flew from Australia with a 8 month old baby. We had 12 hour flight and got to the hotel at 8am completely exhausted. Carlos happily checked is in early and allowed us to have breakfast. Everything was perfect. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. And breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, loads of carbs and cereal. Each morning is a bit different. The breakfast room is small room though and is packed with people so finding a table was a bit hard. But each morning we were lucky enough to have a family invite us to eat at their table. I would highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location for walking and not a far cab ride from the Hollywood wall of stars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. We opened the windows in our room to sweet-smelling honeysuckle vines and a view of the gorgeous pool and courtyard. I felt like I was in Tuscany. Parking was a breeze and there were no resort fees. Highly recommended!

Positive: We Where me by a sweet and helpfull staff. The location is only around 15min drive to most things. The room was Big and tidy. The breakfast was small But fine and had some Nice staff. Negative: There was a Bad view from the room looking into a building. The parking ind the basement was expensive with 22$ Per Night and would have Been Nice to have included in the Price.

This is best place to stay on Sunset! The staff is friendly and very helpful, the location is amazing and the pool area is really clean. They have 2 large garages so parking was easy which is really important in LA. They also have complimentary breakfast in the morning. You can walk to all the nice restaurants or easily take the bus to wherever you want to go.

Beautiful interior and exterior, especially the pool area. The rooms were very clean and had a great view, however, the thermostat made it hard to control the temperature. Lovely complimentary breakfast with lots of seating available. Very accommodating staff.

Well we only arrived last night. Nice clean luxurious room nice hotel. But we were in shock when we went for breakfast this morning. Paying $300 a night should entitle us to more than disposable cutlery and plates. Besides, after breakfast we are supposed to clean our own table. Hell ho! I am not even thinking about what all this garbage does to the environment. I find it shocking that we go on a vacation to rest from caring for 22 dogs, nine horses and much more, in order to find ourselves in a place where we have to clean our own table and have to eat with bendable uncomfortable plastic knives and forks. Not even in cheap hotels when I was young did I find myself in this situation. The breakfast itself is shockingly poor, they don't seem to have heard of fruits. I would rate this a one star hotel.

We had a family girls trip to Hollywood We were all very pleased with this cute hotel. It is conveniently located near a bus stop so we were able to quickly board a bus to get around town. Our suite was spacious with plenty of seating. The beds were very comfortable. Our suite included a large tub with jets that we didnt get a chance to use but I'm sure it would of been wonderful.The breakfast is an added bonus. . The staff was super attentive especially Nikki. Nikki answered all our questions and was very helpful with any request that we had. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a trip to West Coast. Check in was fast an efficient and we got upgraded to a superior room which was a surprise. Room was spacious, had a mini bar, iron and ironing board but bring your own kettle if you like tea. Location was convenient with bars and restaurants nearby.

Staff and hotel extremely helpful. Went the extra mile with all requests. Spacious, warm interior and great leafy pool area. Room was large, door opening onto a nice secluded patio that led to the pool. Room was quiet, no whirring aircon units or noise from the strip. Starbucks across the road for coffee, great country bar for beers and close to everything Sunset Strip including best restaurants ect.

We stayed in a suite for 5, lots of room, large bathroom, spa, lovely hotel, free breakfast with hot breakfast, cereals, croissants, waffles made in front of you which the kids loved. Awesome spot as Hop on hop off bus across the road and nice walk to restaurants. Loved the decor and fittings of hotel coming from Australia, something different. After staying in a small hotel room in Hawaii, the kids were “WOW” when we entered the rooms as triple the space.

Well, it was again time to have our family visit to the LA area, have been going to this hotel for many years and enjoying the hotel and its great staff. We feel welcomed every time and most of the staff know us by name. What I really like about this hotel is that it keeps on getting better every time, with improvements and upgrades that make the experience even better. This time, the rooms had upgraded bathrooms and shower with cool/modern look. They are also using LED lightning to help with the environment! couldn't help to take a couple of pics. Cant wait to see what upgrades are done next year. Look forward to visiting all the staff and management again and thanks for making this experience for me and the family a memorable one again!

Check in was quick, parking was really handy and location is perfect. The pool is beautiful and beds are comfy. Personally I wouldn't say this hotel is good value for money except for its location. The hotel initially looks like it is tired and could do with some work being done. We got to our room in the evening, it was very dark and in the corner of the hotel which gave us the feeling of being in dungeons. We then moved room due to leaking air con, the second room was poolside and a lot bigger so suited us more. However, air con was still not working properly. After calling reception we were told somebody would come look at it however nobody ever came. Breakfast is very good but is served with paper plates and plastic cutlery. Considering the environmental problems at the moment with plastic you would think a hotel in California would provide with something else other than plastic.

Nikki at the front desk provided exceptional customer service. She was friendly and quick to get us checked in. The hotel overall was very clean and in a great location. Pool was beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend!

Great spot for a family hotel stay. Hotel has 2 parking garages for guess located in the street in back of the hotel. Across the street are many great restaurant options as well an anything you could possibly want delivered to the room. Hotel staff was super friendly, rooms were clean and spacious with a fridge, microwave and wet bar sink. Pool was well stocked with towels ( good because you need 2 or 3 to cover the lounge chairs). Overall it was a super visit and we will for sure be back.

This hotel is well situated on Sunset Boulevard close to a Hop-on Hop-off bus stop, which is a good way to get around the city. The room was clean and comfortable and a basic hot and cold breakfast was provided with disposable cutlery and plates.

Located on Sunset Blvd, this Best Western Plus is extremely beautiful and very quiet. Parking was a breeze and the pool area is serene and something out of a book, the picture does no justice. I would recommend staying here..

Stayed here for 3 nights in March . Beautiful hotel kinda Mediterranean feel . Rooms were nice and large with 2 queen beds . Lovely shower room. Very friendly and helpful staff. My only gripe was one morning we came down for breakfast and we couldn't get a seat as there isn't man6 tables but only a minor fault . Overall lovely place and well situated

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel last week. The hotel is right on the Sunset Strip, so we felt we were in the center of the action, but the minute you walk into the lobby, there is a sense of calm, serenity and peace. Our room was quiet, clean, spacious, and decorated in a warm and welcoming style. The room had a comfortable overstuffed chair, a nice desk, with very comfortable beds and linens in the room. The pool was gorgeous. It's in a center courtyard and the windows of the rooms have beautiful window boxes full of flowers. Flowering vines line the walls. Breakfast was a great selection of pastries, beverages, different egg dishes, breakfast meats, fresh fruits and home-made waffles. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and the whole place is clean. The Comedy Store is practically right across the street. Lots of restaurants and iconic Hollywood sites are within walking distance. It was a pleasure and I would highly recommend it and look forward to a return visit.

Not the typical Sunset Strip hotel, this Best Western featured a charming pool and courtyard with climbing vines and bougainvillea. Rooms with french doors and juliet balconies that opened to the courtyard along with a traditional breakfast room and a broad display of breakfast options. The room was very clean as were the grounds and interiors. Location to the Sunset Plaza to dine was also convenient. There is a bit of shopping with walking distance as well. ie H&M, Fred Segal, Small boutiques and entertainment on the strip.

My two teenagers and myself booked two nights at this hotel. The check in service was quick. Everyone was super professional and extremely nice. Make a note - you have to pull up to a white curb in front of hotel to check in. Service at breakfast was great. Maid service was exceptional. Rooms were larger than expected. Beds were very comfortable. Little eating area with mini fridge, sink, microwave was nice to have traveling with kids. We had a view of the pool courtyard area, note: windows don't have screens. Fitness area needs help with three cardio equipments, one cable machine and one pull up/ tricep dip station but there are so many fitness studios within walking distance. Overall this place is EXCELLENT because of the FRONT DESK STAFF. They were very accommodating to a last minute emergency. It is such a nice surprise when people are this understanding. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and going out of their way to help me. We will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone at the Best Western Plus Sunset. I wish I would have gotten all your names to mention each and every one of you personally.

hotel was clean and the staff was extremly nice . We did have a black widow spider in our room and had to kill it but that could have happened anywhere . The coffee was good . It was a very well kept hotel .

I've been coming to this hotel since the early 1990's. It's the best value in the area. Breakfast is included with your stay and much better than the typical continental breakfast some hotels offer. The location cannot be beat as well. Close to many attractions.

Great place to stay for less $$ than some of the other hotels in the area... They upgraded us to a room with French Doors opening to the pool... very nice... we mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and they sent a gift basket to the room with a bottle of wine and other good stuff !! Very nice touch and unexpected from Best Western!! Highly recommend for a stay in this area. Thanks for a great stay, well done!

I base my stars on satisfaction level, and I was very happy at this hotel. First off, the photos of the pool and flowers are accurate. We had a king room with a balcony and a sitting area. If the room was in some other place in some other city, maybe I would've felt a little "meh." One could maybe say it was a little bit "tired." But not much, and it was clean, spacious and comfortable. The balcony was everything. Gorgeous flower boxes and we could see the very pretty pool area. Not at all what you'd expect on the Sunset Strip. My husband was on business and I was a tourist, and I thought the hotel location was excellent for all of my tourist activities. We Uber'd/Lyft'd a lot (cheap and super easy), and did some walking. One day we walked all the way back from the excellent Farmer's Market area. I felt very safe here walking around at night. Hotel staff was very friendly. The included breakfast was not glamorous perhaps, but plenty of options and I was happy. The hotel felt like a little oasis in our day. The weather was cool on our visit so we never sat by the pool, but I would've loved to have had a drink out there if it was warmer. I'd certainly stay here again, and I never thought I'd say that about a Best Western anywhere.

Great location for everything close to some exclusive hotels and restaurants . Room was a great size and bathroom was large clean and modern. Breakfast was good and included which we find is not usually the case in US. Views lovely pool nice in a garden setting. Service and security all good. Very comfortable hotel would not hesitate to re book.

This is probably the best deal you will find in the area for a family. The rooms are spacious and have a mini kitchen which is very helpful. Our room looked over the pool and the windows open to allow fresh air to come into your room. Great value for the money!

My fiance and I originally had an Airbnb booked for our quick weekend in LA, however when we arrived it was not as advertised. Having stayed at this hotel back in September for a night, we decided to see if there was any availability. Albert was working the front desk and immediately greeted us with a smile. He was extremely helpful in finding us a room and could not have been more accommodating. We felt such relief knowing that we had a comfortable place to stay for the weekend. The location can't be beat and having breakfast and a pool is an added bonus! Huge thank you to Albert and the Best Western for saving our weekend! We can't wait to come back.

I've stayed in the Hollywood area before and am sorry I didn't notice this hotel back then. It's location is in the middle of everything...from the Hollywood scene to downtown sights and museums. Literally 20 minutes to drive into LA, at least on a Saturday :). Complimentary hot breakfast with tons of choices to eat. Plenty of self-parking on site underneath the hotel. Super friendly staff. Beds were comfortable and amenities were nice. Free internet in the rooms. Lots of things to walk to along Sunset Blvd for a late night stroll. My next LA stay will definitely be here again.

This is our second time here. Great location, beautiful views, extremely comfortable room, good breakfast, and parking. Can't be beat. Showers were excellent as the bed was super comfy - slept so well. Walking distance to excellent places: Skybar and Chateau marmont. Short drive to some other great restaurants and tourist attractions. The best part is the view on the hills. My only complaint is that the parking was not included, but even the garage is awesome. We had a great time. Thank you - again.

Nice Hotel in West Hollywood. Comfy bed Direct pool access from out Room. Fresh and good size bathroom with both shower and tub. Kitchenette and fridge. Two double queen beds. Tv, safe and a Comfy chair. Office table and chair. Large safe. Centrally located. 15 min to Beverly Hills and 10 min to Walk of Fame with car. Laugh Factory and other comedy club in walking distance. Also renowed Meld Diner. Thumbs up!

For a 3 star hotel the rooms were clean and big. We were moved to a family room which was a great size however looked onto a wall when we asked if we could move to another room overlooking the garden or pool we were told no, even though we had booked a garden view room (as it was booked through a 3rd party they said we could not request it), we were out most of the time so it didnt really matter. The pool area is lovely and everything is well kept. The breakfast was good , however even my children commented on the use of plastic plates and cutlery as environmentally unfriendly!

I was in town with friends celebrating my birthday. This hotel does not disappoint. The location was perfect. The staff was warm and welcoming. As it was my birthday they delivered a bottle of wine to the room. My friends and I were able to enjoy the wine and also the pool. I recommend booking a pool side room. I will stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Best Western. Decor was cute, very clean establishment, great location and friendly staff. Very affordable. Although I was in town on business, I would stay here on vacation as well.

I recently spent a week at this hotel. It is a real gem, a real oasis off a busy street. Our room was large and quiet with 2 very comfortable beds and the bathroom had been recently decorated . It had an excellent powerful shower, the room had a microwave, fridge and coffeemaker which was really ideal. There was also a sitting area and large tv. Our room had patio doors to the gorgeous pool, unfortunately the weather wasn't great the whole time I was there but I was able to sit outside on our last morning. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The hotel provides a breakfast which was amazing, everything you could ever want, my only niggle is that they use disposable plates/ cutlery etc which is unnecessary and bad for the environment. The area is perfect for people wanting to explore LA in general as you can use public transport from the bus stop outside or a street nearby. The general area is walkable and enjoyable to explore. The hotel can book tours also which we did. Overall we loved our stay.

One of my best travel experiences ever, Carlos and his front of house team , make you feel, wanted and valued and help you with everything from being being local tourist guides to the best hospitality people you could wish for, great breakfast offered, great pool and chill area, beautiful decor, best location, I'll be back very soon, look no further this is where you need to stay in west Hollywood. WE are so glad we found this hotel for our stay Friday and Saturday. We were able to check in at 2:00pm which allowed us to travel across LA to West Hollywood at midday on a busy Friday; that's very helpful in LA traffic. Hotel was lovely, room was great, proximity to restaurants and show was very close and allowed us to leave our car safe at the hotel and use commercial transportation to the venue easily.

Just spent 4 nights with my daughter for some business meetings and auditions. Couldn't ask for a better hotel. The rooms are huge. The beds are huge and comfortable. Love the sitting area and little kitchen in the room. The hotel has bee renovated and the decor is super. We didn't go to the pool but it looks amazing from the room's window. The front desk people are extremely helpful with printing material for us and helping us around. I would for sure be back !

My dad and I came from Temecula California to Hollywood to see papa roach in concert. It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive with all of the LA traffic. By the time we got to the hotel, which was a little early then standard check in time, we were so over driving with all of the hectic traffic in the area. When we arrived, Paola greeted us at the check in desk with a smile on her face! She was so kind to the both of us, and told us that we did arrive a little early in our room wasn't ready yet. She went out of her way to see what room was available to get us in there and accommodate our needs. Her colleague Nikki, was there as well and her and Paola both got on their computers to see what they could do for us to get us in a room due to our Long travel. They managed to find a room available that had two beds, and I even had a balcony! We were beyond thrilled that we were able to get in our room early! These two ladies made our experience here at the best Western extremely worth it! I work in the hospitality field as well, and I know what it's like to deal with customer service. I can honestly say these two ladies have exceptional customer service, and they know how to meet customer needs! My dad and I both were so thrilled with our experience here, and I truly believe that Paola and Nikki made our experience even better! They both deserve a raise that's for sure! I highly recommend this place to stay when you're here in Hollywood, and if you get either of these ladies at the front desk you will be highly satisfied!

We are a family of 4 and found the 2 queen bed rooms very comfortable and spacious. The hotel is a bit run down but for what you are paying it is definitely value for money. The bathroom was nice and big as well and we had a little kitchenette. Unfortunately the fridge can only be used for water as it freezes everything else and there is no where to turn down the thermostat. The location is within walking distance from the Hollywood walk of fame and other sites of interest. Unfortunately LA has a lot of homeless people, with one young lady living out of her car right outside the hotel. So it is a rather dirty and smelly area(urine etc.), which is more a council issue than hotel issue. Very sad to see. They have laundry facilities on site which was great. They also have a lovely little bar, a restaurant and pool on site. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would say the location is great for couples or singles rather than family with kids.

This is our 3rd stay in this hotel and we really love and appreciate its simplicity. Its not trendy, its not cool, people ask us where we stay and we have stayed in the Mondrian and could very easily stay in the Andaz or the Standard but do you really want to stay in a party, up-for-it all-night hotel when you don't want to party? There have been renovations - the bathrooms have been redone, the breakfast is greatly improved. We travel on long road trips to California. The little touches like the sink, microwave, fridge and laundry really help when you just want something easy and simple and not go to another restaurant or diner and have a bagful of laundry in your case. Its not a rip-off - the rooms and the parking charge is reasonable - everything is done well and with little fuss. The staff are friendly and helpful, from reception, to the cleaning crew and the breakfast staff. You get the impression they are one big family. And with all the development in the area this little "Bedtime Stories" gem of a place could one day vanish and a brand-new, trendy 21st century boutique, cool hotel will rise up. Please don't ever sell out BW Sunset Plaza. Where would we stay?

This hotel is somewhat run down but has a charm in its common areas that makes it a pleasant experience. The pool is the highlight of this property and is surrounded by a mass of bougainvillea and other flowering trees and shrubs. Breakfast is included and is plain but quite acceptable. The clientele tends to be families with children, so not typical of other hotels in the area. Rooms on Sunset can be noisy. But good value for money and I would stay there again.

Myself & my boyfriend stayed here for 5 nights. We arrived early and went to asked if we could leave our bags, we were told that they had a room ready for us...Great!!!. Upon arriving to the room we found that housekeeping were still in there, so we left our bags in the room and went back to reception who said we could sit by the pool and they would get us once it was ready. After just sitting down the manager came with a different room key and apologised. We went up to the new room which was on the same floor and found that the room now overlooked pool instead which was much nicer. The room was big, clean and we couldn't fault it. The pool & area was nice, clean and relaxing, there was even towels at the entrance to the pool for use, so no need to take your own. The hotel is ideally located in West Hollywood and within easy reach of tourist spots and the fact that sightseeing bus stopped just across the road was a huge plus. We did have a hire car and we never had any issues parking in the hotel car park. Overall had a great stay here and would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone

We stayed here in September last year for 17 nights. This was our 10th visit to this amazing hotel. We cannot stress how wonderful this hotel is and as soon as we leave we just want to book our next stay. On arriving from a long 2 flight journey from England , we were greeted by the wonderful front desk staff who checked us in and advised our room 119. Being frequent guests here, we know the layout and knew our ‘home' for the next 17 nights was a fanstastic pool room ! On opening the door to these mini suites , you are welcomed to a large comfortable room with dining area , large bathroom and importantly those gorgeous French doors opening to the amazing pool and garden. The kitchen area has coffee maker, microwave and a very useful fridge to keep the wine and beer cool ! Even though so tired after such a long journey, it is tradition for us to quickly freshen up and go across to Saddle Ranch - a great bar/restaurant across the road to wind down after the day and have a beer or 2 ! The hotel has 2 breakfast rooms providing a great choice of breakfasts from fruit,cereal,eggs,bacon,waffles and as much juice and coffee you need to set you up for the day ! We take our breakfast to the pool area and enjoy it , watching that glorious California sunrise ! Unlike most guests, we don't rent a car as we love walking and use the local buses and metro system which is easy and very cheap to use ( we say that you see more and enjoy the area this way). If like us you are on a long stay, there is a great store called CVS a 10 minute walk away on Santa Monica Boulevard where you can stock the room fridge with beer wine and water! Be warned though, if walking back it is uphill !! If you don't manage the store , the hotel provides 24 hour coffee and tea outside the breakfast room on the lobby level and there are vending machines on the 1st floor and as well as ice machines. The area is very safe and we walk around late at night and have no problem at all. They are very accommodating if we have had parcels delivered and take them to our room ( this has been so helpful as a lot of US companies don't send to the UK , so we ask the hotel if ok to send to them while we are guests there ). During our stay, they were adding more beautiful flowers to the window boxes and the whole area was just gorgeous. After usually a tiring and hot day out, we come back to this little piece of tranquility and sit out relaxing by the pool with a wine and soak in the peace and quiet. Locally , as mentioned, there is Saddle Ranch for food, beer and a great atmosphere or 5 mins walk is Trocadero - a small bar where if you are lucky , you can sit on their porch and watch the world go by. If you go between 6-8pm, all of their drinks and appetisers are half price. The BW housekeeping staff are so polite and after a day out, we come back to a spotless room with an abundance of fresh clean towels and clean bedding. As we have been guests here for so many years , when we arrived , there was a ‘welcome home' basket in our room. This contained fruit, chocolates, wine and glasses. Also as a musician, this is an amazing setting for a video shoot ...we asked permission and happy to help as always (this is Hollywood after all ), I have now an amazing video for one of my songs! This thoughtful and amazing gift was from Brenda Elias... she is amazing, professional and a truly lovely person who BW are lucky to have as an employee. Our last day, on checking out , we went to Saddle Ranch to see our favourite bartender Mark to say goodbye and Brenda having finished her working day was with Carlos Morgan( yet another asset to this hotel ) . A lovely way to end our vacation to chat to these amazing people and thank them for 17 great days at the Best Western Sunset Plaza. We cannot say enough great things about this hotel but to say we are not guests anymore, we are friends . This was our first trip to LA and we didn't know what to expect. This hotel is perfectly located in that it was centrally located and yet far enough away that you could not hear all the noise from the city. The hotel offers parking (for an extra fee) but well worth it as the cars are in a secure place and we really needed a car each day. The patio/pool area looked like something out of Europe, it was absolutely beautiful! And the staff could not have been more accommodating. We worked with Paola at the front desk and she was fantastic! Each morning they offer a free breakfast and it's not just a continental breakfast, it's a full breakfast. It helped so much with 3 teenagers along with us.

I was not sure what to expect when arriving but was very pleasantly surprised and safe. the area is great and central located with ease of access to highways and nearby Starbucks, lol. The room packed a punch, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The front desk staff are second to none. Informative and always smiling... Great job!

A beautiful room, everything new and clean and luxurious. Quiet. You would not know that you are on the busy Sunset Strip. A huge pool and luxury chaise lounges. The breakfast was Best Western PLUS. A huge selection, omelettes, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, really good home fries, croissants, sweetbreads, cheese, waffles, and probably many items I forgot to list! Yummy...

We recently stayed at the Best Western with a group of 4 friends. The location is perfect, safe and convenient to some excellent restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large and roomy. Affordable prices. Thank you to the receptionist Paola, who was very happy to make reservations for us and assist in making our stay easy and fun.

Friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are very quiet in spite of being on Sunset Boulevard. The exterior of the hotel could use some freshening up but we liked the "old-fashioned" appearance of the interior and our room (not the sleek ultra modern so in fashion but rather the elegance of wood and sturdy comfortable furniture). We will definitely come back here on our next trip to L.A.

As per TripAdisor's policy of having to delete and repost a review rather than editing an existing one, I am revising my original unsatisfactory review due the excellent follow-up of this hotel. Original review (followed by update): Just because I used points for this stay shouldn't prevent me from writing an accurate review; after all, it takes a lot of stays to build up your points. This BW is pretty conveniently located if you want to be near the action on Sunset Blvd and, despite this, it's fairly shielded from the street noise. It has more of a Victorian decor as opposed to modern one which was a nice change but it also shows signs of age and outdated design (can't take the carts to many rooms for example). The view of the courtyard from the room window was very nice. The layout of breakfast was top notch as was the service from the servers attending it. But, the food is not much better than from hotels a third of the price. Let's be real, these aren't real breakfasts - they're barely airline food. Parking was great and a cinch (although you DO pay for it).The reason for my poor review is outlined below:On arrival: No hot water in room (verified by hotel manager the next morning). Bathroom sink clogged after a few minutes of running the water and took almost an hour to drain. Ran shower for 10 minutes still no hot water. Next morning: 8:05 am. Room across (327) from mine (318) under renovations. Power tool used with door partially open and woke me up. Only warm water after running 10 minutes then cold three times while in the shower (this is infuriating!). Could not call front desk because phone beside bed had no wire (learned later another phone in the room that did work). Room fan/air conditioner works unusually. When set to auto, does not seem to come on even when temperature set very low except sporadically. When fan set to manual (temperature no longer controlled) the fan sounds like a fighter plane afterburner. On first night I had to open window to cool down but halfway thru the night the a/c came and made room too cold then the heat would not work. Final morning: sink was fixed, as was wire to phone but hot water was tepid at best and would not get warmer. Passed front desk later and overheard two employees stating "so no hot water"?Food - above average display but eggs and potatoes bathed in black pepper, ham ridiculously salty, bacon sliced thinner than mylar and bread was going stale. Had I paid for this in $$$, I would have been ripped off and filed a formal complaint. I would recommend paying out of pocket for this hotel considering the relative cost to other hotels. **UPDATE** I responded to an automatic customer survey sent to me by BW after my stay had ended and gave them the feedback they requested. Part of this questionnaire included submitting a review to TripAdvisor from within the survey itself - which I did as written above. Within hours of my submission, I received both an automated response apologizing for the unsatisfactory stay AND a personal one of the same nature and a refund of the points I used for one of the two nights. If I recall correctly, there was a third e-mail - also personalized expressing their regret. Perhaps one was from a representative that read the TripAdvisor review and one from in-house. For me, the matter was closed and I felt recognized and compensated. A couple days later I received a call from the hotel manager himself. He was very polite and professional and asked me to state everything that I observed and also explained what had gone wrong. He had clearly done some homework first to gather the details and wasn't just doing damage control. He than asked what it was he could do to rectify things but I felt they had done enough and requested nothing more. Nevertheless, he stated he was going to give me a full refund of all my points (as good as cash to me), and asked me to return to give the hotel another chance if I was ever in the area again. Based on the genuine desire to provide above and beyond satisfactory customer service displayed by this organization and a few individuals, I believe it is warranted for me to provide an elaborate update to my original review and to change my rating from a 2/5 to a 4/5. Mistakes happen but how they are dealt with are important too.

Our overall experience at this hotel was impressive. The staff was friendly, the rooms are updated and clean. There were a nice variety of items to choose from for breakfast. If you want to explore West Hollywood, this is a great location.

My girlfriend and I needed a last minute place to stay near our Holiday party. Brenda Elias was more than accommodating. So pleased with her positive attitude and professional service. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel if staying in our around the West Hollywood area.

The sunset plaza is a staple of the sunset strip. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. But the best part is the staff and service. Brenda Elias was very accommodating and made our stay easy and comfortable. I would def stay here again. And they have a great complimentary breakfast buffet. Thanks again Brenda!!

Such a great time staying here. The location is perfect and the rooms were awesome! Brenda Elias was so helpful when deciding what room we need to book and what would work best with for us, she was great!! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and right where we needed to be for all the events in town! There are tons of places to eat and places to go out, all within walking distance of the hotel. Highly recommend staying here if you're coming out to the area! :)

My friend and I stayed here during a quick trip to see our friends band play at the Troubadour. Service was good, the room was great. We had a double room, the bathroom was large, plenty of light, mirrors, plugs and good water pressure. Nice kitchenette space, we really appreciated having the fridge in the room. Breakfast came with room, however we didnt get there. There was also a coffee maker in the room which my friend enjoyed. Self parking in and underground garage, was safe, clean and easy access to elevators up to room. Overall I would definitely stay here again

I was really impressed with this hotel -- it's a good value for the location. The property is absolutely as beautiful as in the pictures, the staff is absolutely wonderful, the location is safe and convenient for a lot of activities, there is an Enterprise car rental across the street (so you need rent a car only for the days you really need it), underground parking is available for a reasonable price (for LA - we paid $18/day), rooms are comfortable and attractive, rooms have a fridge and microwave, and coffee and tea are available 24/7. The pool area is so lovely that I will build in some time just to relax there! The only negative is the breakfast, which has lots of options, but not very high quality and not much fruit. (But there's a Starbucks across the street.)

Beautiful hotel and pleasantly surprised by the size of our room, plenty of extra space for our party of 6. Gorgeous pool area. Teenage son was very impressed by the internet service. We will definitely stay here again!

This is a great place to stay in the Hollywood area, especially for it's convenience to Cedar-Sinai hospital. Although there is construction going on in the hotel, you would not know it from the general appearance and noise levels.

On. Recent trip to the US I stayed at this hotel with my daughter and two grandsons. From the time we walked in the Frount door to when we left three days later. I can't complement the hotel enough. The Frount of house staff were helpful and friendly. Our suite was just right for us. With out doubt the breckfast that was included in our tarrif had plenty of options all very tasty. After a busy day of doing tourist things the pool was a great way to relaxe. Lastly it ideally located for exploring the North Hollywood area. A hop on hop off tourist bus for the area has its stop 100m away, across The road ar3 a variety of places to eat. Including the well known Comedy Club. I ephl$ recommend it to you

Visited for my birthday. Although we only stayed 1 day it was excellent. Hotel staff was excellent we arrived early and they went above and beyond to make our stay nice. We were upgraded to a bigger room free of charge. He also had wine and cookies sent to our room for my birthday. Location was good right on the strip. We had a blast. I forgot breakfast was really nice they have everything set in buffet style not like our regular complimentary breakfast.

I stayed at Best Western Sunset Plaza with my nephew and niece as a LA stopover on the way home to Australia, after being in New York. Great location in West Hollywood, courteous, efficient checkin. We booked a large/family room which was great with fridge, balcony and large bathroom. The pool area is lovely. Rooms looking over the pool/away from Sunset plaza have great views and are quieter. Wifi is free and fast. Car parking is convenient and reasonably priced, entry in the street behind the hotel. Breakfast is included, and is pretty nice, although I wish they did not use exclusively disposable plates/cutlery. Unfortunately on our last night my niece became unwell and ended up having appendicitis, and needed surgery. The hotel was amazing in extending our stay and a late checkout on the last day. There are places to eat within walking distance, or a short drive away, and the location is convenient to Sunset strip, Hollywood, and most attractions around that area. The Saddle Ranch Grill across the road became our 'go to' dinner location while niece was in hospital, and the staff there were amazing with free desserts and a fun atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for families.

This is the second time in 18 months we have stayed in this hotel. We stumbled across it the first time and re booked to end our 2 week break because our first stay was so good. It didn't disappoint. The staff are fantastic, In particular Carlos was incredibly helpful, friendly, patient and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. When booking from the UK it's prob better to contact the hotel rather then a third party website as it's much easier talking to their staff. The room was a king that was very clean, and had a really comfortable bed. The shower also had shower attachment as well as the shower head which we were after. We faced the very pretty pool area which we liked to take our breakfast to instead of sitting in the breakfast room. There is also a small gym. Add to all of this the location for us was great, on sunset but more West Hollywood. It is almost opposite the saddle ranch, near the Mondrian which is good for the Sky bar, the Comedy store is over the road and plenty of restaurants and bars on a walk down towards the Viper room which is 10-15 mins walk. In the other direction is the Chinese theatre company, walk of fame, Hollywood sign but very busy with tourists and a longer walk. We also went to the Griffith observatory which is good to see the Hollywood sign from as well as the Hollywood bowl where we saw the arctic monkeys. It covers all the things we wanted well, ideal location and good value in context with other hotels in that location.

I stayed a week at the Best Western Sunset Plaza Hotel and was very pleased with this hidden gem conveniently located near all major attractions. The hotel is smaller so you aren't going to have restaurant/bar, but the hotel has lovely french country decor, the pool and courtyard are beautiful and it's a great value. The accommodations were very clean, easy to use room safe, plenty of extra towels, comfortable bedding and the remote control was even cleaned daily. I had several questions during my stay and the front desk staff were always helpful, assisted me with my luggage and offered restaurant and entertainment recommendations. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff Albert, Dalton, Felipe, Jessy, Nikki and Paola all of which I knew by the end of my stay. Furthermore, the maintenance, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were always hard at work and super friendly. If you want a nice, clean and friendly hotel that won't break the bank the Best Western Sunset Plaza Hotel is a hidden gem!

Sunset Plaza Hotel/ Best Western Plus is the surprise in West Hollywood - located in the heart of of the West Hollywood it had everything one wanted in a hotel and at great prices. Clean-nice rooms-good breakfast and most of all a wonderful team of staff that can't do enough for you. Kudos to Nikki and Paola at the desk who helped our last day's visit go smoothly. All the desk personnel were wonderful from check in throughout our visit. The pool area was nice as well

We have just finished a 3 night stay here and this hotel is fantastic! The rooms was immaculate and cleaned thoroughly each day. The pool area is just beautiful for swimming and relaxing. The location is fantastic and we only needed short Uber rides to get around. There are also restaurants within walking distance (including a Starbucks for coffee). The reception staff were absolutely amazing - especially Carlos and Paula - they were so helpful with any requests and questions. Will definitely stay here when next in LA!

We stayed 2 nights in this friendly clean and well located property. The FOH staff and Breakfast staff were very efficient and friendly always helpful in answering any questions and advising options. Great breakfast spread. Very convenient to eating places.

We stayed at the hotel september. When we arrived we were checking in and i asked if they had any suites we could upgrade to, because it was my birthday while i was there they upgraded us free of charge! Our suite was at the end of the block so we had a pool view from one side of the balcony and a wonderful view of LA from the other side. The room was very comfortable with a king bed. It had a coffee maker, fridge, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and a large safe. There was plenty of storage room, a desk and 2 arm chairs. The bathroom had his and hers wash basins shower and whirlpool bath!!! Breakfast was included in the price which had every thing you would need for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Over the road from the hotel is a great bar called the saddle ranch where you can get food delivered from straight to the hotel. The hop on hop off bus stops just down from the hotel out side the comedy club so the location is very good. We used Ubers a lot which were very cheap to use.

We stayed for three nights to explore the delights of LA. We were late checking in due to being delayed and were given a room on the third floor facing a tall wall The wall was literally a foot or so out of the window so the room was very dark. This is because the hotel is built on a slope. The room its self was clean with a comfortable bed and nice sized bathroom. There is a hairdryer , coffee machine and fridge in the room. Breakfast is provided, with several hot dishes , fresh made waffles, cereal, pastries etc. Plenty to fill you up in the morning, but what is with the paper plates and plastic knives and forks...in a hotel! ...not really acceptable. The reception staff were all very helpful, and they got us booked on a tour with a man called Ceaser who was wonderful..we recommend him. The pool area was very nice for a bit of a relax in the afternoon.

I had a great stay! The best place to enjoy L.A. and areas. The team is wonderful (front desk, pool, housekeepers). Very well located on Sunset Blvd with a relaxing pool. I f you have any request, just ask for Brenda or Sonia they always do their best to make your stay very comfortable.

The beautiful hotel is a must visit when in West Hollywood. It is in a very trendy area. The staff at the hotel are very helpful with tour guide information. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very pleasant. The hotel is just how the professional pictures portray it. Cant wait to visit again - would definitely stay here..

It's pretty expensive to stay in this area of town if you want a decent place. This hotel was a great price for a great experience. Check in/out was very easy, breakfast had something for everyone, pool area was very nice, easy Lyft/Uber service. The hotel felt safe, and even in close proximity to the pool, it wasn't noisy. Overall great experience. Coffee was available all day outside the breakfast room! We had a two-queen bed room with fridge and microwave. Plenty of space for 4 people. Nice large tub big enough for two people. Would have been nice to have double sinks, but that is my only complaint of the room.Would definitely stay here again. They have a great suite option for larger groups which we had considered for our group, that is an excellent value.Service was quick and courteous. I didn't give it an excellent rating because it wasn't as welcoming as most places I've stayed. They answered questions but didn't make any recommendations or share any additional info or even pleasantries as most places I've stayed. But they did their job, just didn't feel that above and beyond experience. Still highly recommend!

Full breakfast included with stay, covered parking reasonably priced and readily available, superb location, beautiful pool area, exceptionally friendly staff - at all levels, grab-n-go apples always available in the lobby, very thorough and efficient housekeeping staff! Although the place is a bit dated when compared to the other new hip spots on Sunset, know that it is very clean, very well maintained, and generally more suited for a very subdued, relaxing trip. Also extremely family friendly.

We just stayed at the hotel, and it was just fantastic. Great location, fantastic room with a king size bed, and beautiful pool. Would stay here again next time in LA. Amazing oasis...on Sunset Blvd. The pool courtyard is an oasis and hard to believe the busy street with all of the action is just steps away. The complimentary breakfast is a nice bonus! The hotel's parking is the least expensive in the area. We stayed and took Uber to the Hollywood Bowl and back - it was perfect!!!

Firstly the rates we received for our two stays on our holiday were fantastic. Secondly having a room ready on our arrival from Australia on July 9 was terrific. particularly with our two girls (3 year old, and 1) who were over tired from the long flight. Brenda, the Operations Manager has assisted us on the past two occasions we have stayed, and she has been a great help to us. We would like to pass on our gratitude to two staff who work the front desk. Dalton and another young man (we missed his name) who checked us in for our two stays. They were most helpful, interacted with both our daughters every time they saw them and remembered us when we came back for our second stay. Just a little thing that made our time even more enjoyable. They also assisted with our bags as both times we stayed on the 3rd floor so the steps posed as an obstacle with bags and strollers. Finally my 3 year old loved the pool and claims it to be one of the highlights of her holiday!

This hotel is located at sunset strip, where most celebrities dine. Its very close to the buzzing restaurant life and you might spot a famous person. The hotel itself has rooms that are facing the high wall, avoid those. They are dark and depressing. Ask for a pool facing room! Beakfast is not great but they make best waffles. Its located closer to hop on hop off bus and very easy to get by, using hop on hop off. The staff is helpful and will advice on the tours to take. Overall nice hotel.

This is a great area that only has only 4 hotels & this is the best priced. Pool is salt water & fantastic. Have the complimentary hardy breakfast pool side. The rooms are so comfortable too. We felt very comfortable walk around even late at night.

The place was clean and comfortable. We stayed here to be close to the comedy store (right across the street) and Hollywood stars walk of fame (less then $4 Uber). Everything was safe for us so if we were trying to see a show at the comedy store again we would stay here again.

I just got back from a three day stay at this hotel and all I can say is wow! My room was nothing short of perfect with a gorgeous pool side view. The hotel gives you a European feel with the way it's beautifully decorated. The service is efficient and the staff is so friendly. My room was made up properly each day. Also, the location could not be better - you are right on Sunset Boulevard surrounded by restaurants and shopping. I will stay here again when I come back to California! Thank you!

I had to relocate several people due to an apartment fire. All the staff, from check-in on down, were caring, considerate, professional and extremely helpful. The whole process was seamless. All my tenants were treated with respect and understanding. The rooms were clean and comfortable throughout. While handling my tenants I had a chance to see how the staff handled other guests. Very impressive!

I chose to stay at this hotel because it represented good value for money, had good reviews, and is located where I wanted to be. This hotel is not luxurious, but it is clean and comfortable, has a nice pool, includes breakfast, has free wifi, and fantastic staff who are always willing to help. I would recommend requesting a room that is not on the Sunset Blvd side (front of the hotel) because the traffic is non-stop all night. We asked to change our room after the first night because of this, and were moved to a new room without any hesitation. Aside from the traffic noise, there are lots of places to eat nearby, and the Comedy Store is right across the street. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, right on Sunset Strip. Great neighborhood, felt very safe taking my daily run(lots of residential areas just down the street) Lobby is lovely with a large marble fireplace. Our room was plenty big and opened up to a gorgeous courtyard with the pool, all landscaped with palms and bouganvilla. The pool was even heated. The included upgraded continental breakfast was pretty good(with make your own waffles, eggs, chorizo sausage) but the room is fairly small. It's also right across the street from the Saddle Ranch restaurant which is a great steakhouse.

This is a beautiful, cozy, and charming hotel! My room, just steps from the pool terrace, was clean, neat, spacious, quiet and comfortable. It included a firm king size bed, easy chair with ottoman that fits underneath, writing desk, large TV, microwave and refrigerator. The air conditioning quickly cooled the room and was easy to control. The thick drapes block unwanted light and heat. The well maintained Spanish mission style pool terrace features vines, potted plants and bougainvillea. The welcoming 3rd floor breakfast room has a European feel and views of Sunset Boulevard. There is a quiet, well equipped business center on the second floor. Carlos and Nikki at the Front Desk were very attentive, resolved questions promptly and gave sound dining and transportation recommendations. No mystery charges. The style, music and ambience subtly evoke the Golden Age of Hollywood with dark wood, beveled windows and marble. Although an LAX to Hotel shuttle service would be most welcome, the cab stand and push button signal crosswalk are directly in front of the entrance. Nice restaurants in area.

Worst hotel ever! I've used Best Western for my travels for over 10 years and never had a bad experience until I visited the West Hollywood location on sunset. The manager or receptions Frank was absolutely rude and ignorant. We had reservations and were simply checking in so we parked out front and this guy named frank came running at us saying we can't park here and made a big scene until he figured out we had a room booked. My kids were frightened from his tone and gestures. The stay after that started horribly we weren't getting any customer service at all. Every time we would call for room service we would either be put on a long hold or no response. Would definitely not recommend this place until they change their staff. The only nicest person was the maintenance/janitor guy. I should've booked room at the Andaz hotel instead.

Visited LA on holiday and stayed at the Best Western Sunset Plaza. The hotel is well located. We caught Uber's to many of the cities attractions which was relatively inexpensive. The hotel has a laundry room but unfortunately the coin machine was out of operation while we were there. Free breakfast was a positive.

If you're looking for a lovely Boutique Hotel in Hollywood then this is the place to stay at! The staff were always friendly and when l checked in l asked for a view of the pool which was just amazing. Our room was gorgeous, the beds super comfortable and soft, the room was large and had a fridge, coffee maker and area to eat. The bathroom was quite large and was always clean. The housemaids made up our room every day and was wonderful just to come back and relax looking out our window of our gorgeous view of the pool area. Breakfast was included in our stay and we loved the homemade waffles hot Breakfast Daily. Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one and we would definitely recommend this place to others who are thinking of staying in West Hollywood

Our room, one of the less expensive, was a bit small but they get all the details right: lots of hangers, reading lights next to bed!, good bed, lots of decent towels, full, hot breakfast buffet, friendly staff, AC works well, reading chair with footstool, safe in room, underground parking. With kids, I would book a room opening to the pool. For others, ask for the top floor overlooking the pool. Some rooms have French doors and tiny balconies. Good location. Good value.

we arrived and got a nice room with pool view reception area nice and air con nice and cool pool area was great nice sunbeds and chairs and tables in a shaded area. Breakfast was served on floor three and four with a good selection of goods to tuck into, all staff in this hotel very friendly.

walked in off street and booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids. paid 300. a bit pricey . we were pleasently surprised by the family room , big and large bathroom. area a bit quiet uber 5$ to hollywood. A big bar restaurant across street ,didnt eat there but had beer at $11 70 a pint , pool area was quiet clean well appointed. breakfast was adequate. overall a good experience
