Best Western Plus Edward Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel itself, as well as the service from the staff, was excellent — everyone was attentive, friendly, and made sure our stay was comfortable. The location was a real highlight, extremely central and within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. It made getting around effortless. The one area that could use some attention is the gym — it felt a bit dated and could benefit from a renovation. That said, it didn't take away from what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay, and I'd happily recommend this hotel to others.

Great location to all amenities. Comfy, cleam rooms. Toileteries, iron, hairdryer supplied as well as tea, coffee making facilities but not used as 24hr coffee/tea and cookies available in lounge. Plenty of free parking available on the nearby streets and the hotel does have 4 spaces which you can reserve for a fee. Breakfast is plentiful with a good buffet selection. There is some hot food available too. The staff are friendly and attentive with good local knowledge and are English speaking. The bar and restuarant are currently closed but reception have a selection of drinks and snacks to buy.

Missing earrings after cleaning day, which the staff didn't seem concerned about, over served customers from the restaurant in the lobby, doors only locked from midnight to 6 am. Rooms on street side were very noisy especially on the weekend with the low rider cars. Hotel was clean, bed's comfy and breakfast was decent.

A great hotel for a business trip. Friendly staff; room had everything that was needed - a good selection of well positioned power sockets, a comfortable bed and a nice shower! Only downside was that I didn't know that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday, but that wasn't a problem as there were places to eat just down the road. I would stay there again!

This hotel is located in the middle of town only a few minutes from the bus/train station. The front desk service was excellent and so was my room. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good.

The rooms are not the most update unless you get one of the newly redone ones but they are clean and comfortable. The strenght is the personal and great service of the staff. The breakfast is good even during covid.

Hotel located in walking distance from the city centre, also parking free of charge. The room and bathroom are spacious, clean, up to date and included all we needed so we were very happy with it and suited us perfect. Breakfast is standard, nothing more nothing less. Unfortunately we didn't visit their restaurant which is included in the white guide. All in all, very happy with our stay.

I would say that this hotel is a pretty good one. Rooms are ok, restaurant is ok, winelist ok. Breakfast is ok. Geographical location almost perfect. Parking is available but a smaller distance. The thing that surprises me is that in both the reception and in the breakfast area there is sometimes no personnel. Maybe I am too used to hotels in South Africa but here the youghurt jug was almost always empty. Noone of the guests seemed to take anything else so why just one and why not check every 5 minutes if a refill was required. When one tried to tell anyone, noone was there... to find. Reception was empty 50% of the time we passed it. If this is a 4 Star hotel it should be properly manned. All the personnel was nice and helpful. I consider this to be a management problem.

Nice, cosy hotel, clean rooms. Friendly receptionists. Nice bar with local beers/whiskeys, but service is REALLY slow. Also restaurant is good. Breakfast has a lot to offer, also some local products. Wifi working ok.

I like the firm bed and cool duvet. Bathroom has awesome French “Damana” toiletries which I absolutely loved. Where can I buy them? I like the welcome I got arrival. Nice place in a small town. Good restaurant, reviewed separately.

Very cosy, comfortable hotel. Food at the restaurant is of very good quality. So you can check in, relax at the bar and then have a quiet dinner on the same premises. No need to take a car any further.

Very good reception with helpful personal.Big beds and clean room.Restaurang good and with a bar with small dishes if you are not so hungry.Nice to test some of the local beers.Centre of the city but parking places could be more of.

Why is it so hard to offer the same comfort many business travellers are used at home? I just hate synthetic duvets and cushions, they are hot and smelly, disappointing....I had a room on the ground floor, so not very inviting to sleep with the window open in a town center. The very good restaurant and friendly staff made my stay overall a positive experience.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights. The hotel is very modern on the inside and the outside it looks traditionally Swedish with its wooden style design. The facilities are excellent with a beautiful restaurant and bar and very relaxing and the food was 5 star. There is a small gym and sauna in the hotel but unfortunately I never got the chance to go The room was a good size with everything you need. And came with a complimentary minibar which was restocked every day. I visited the hotel on a Friday to Monday and it was nice and quiet my entire duration. The hotel was located in the centre of lidkoping with bars and a nightclub within 200 yard away but the street the hotel is on is quiet which was great. WELL WORTH THE MONEY FOR A 5star stay

In Lidkoping for business for a week and stayed at the Edward Hotel. Being from the USA and in Sweden for the first time, I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff was very nice and helpful. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Everyday when i returned to my room, it was in pristine order.Bed was made with clean sheets, clean linens in the bathroom. The plus for me was having my own safe in the room. What peace of mind that was for my important documents while travelling. The brunch each morning was incredible with an assortment of meats, cheeses, bread and you can even squeeze fresh orange juice. I would recommend staying here.

Location is great, staff is nice, braekfast is great. Bar has a wide range of local craft beers. Restaurant is good for dinner (book it in front if you are more). Close to hotel is pizzeria and Burger bar (St. Josephs).

The hotel has a good location, short walking distance to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Make sure you check out the size of bed at offer. Breakfast is included and good according to Scandinavian standard. The bar is open from 5 pm and cozy. If you sleep with an open window - ask for a room on the second floor.

The rooms are ok but nothing special. Standard hotel shower that wets the whole bathroom floor. Breakfast is below average with poor machine made coffee and juice, good selection of breads but rather unfresh toppings. We were surprised as this place has got a relatively good rating.

On one side this hotel is a regular, good, Best Western Hotel but on the other side it was more comfortable than average. There were silent areas were you could just sit, read a book, have a coffee or just take it slow. This is something we really appreciate in any hotel, a peaceful environment without being stuck at the room. The room had everything you expect, including a very good bathroom and it was really clean. The bed was adjustable with a remote control, good comfort. The sauna was good and clean with two big showers. On the downside the sauna was only open between 17-22. During winter I would like the sauna to be open in the morning, after running. The breakfast was standard Best Western style, everything you need and more. In short: A lovely hotel in the heart of Lidköping, we had a great weekend.

Quick stay on business trip. Basic quality. Nice staff and mediocre rooms. Unisex sauna but i was there alone :) few good restaurants next to the hotel and parking only next to street. No own parking.

Been here several times and every time I step in I have the same warm and friendly feeling. The rooms differ in shape and sice but the standard is always above average and if you're lucky excellent. There's a nice bar with an interesting variety of beers and an excellent and priced restaurant with local based food. Free coffee in the lobby and free wifi. The breakfast is ordinary but offers a good start of the day. The staff is wonderful.

Very clean, modern room. In America, Best Western isn't the best hotel, but this Swedish owned hotel was wonderful. Comfortable clean room, warm charming hotel with a DELICIOUS restaurant. I would definitely stay here again!

Since I spend 60 nights away from home in Lidköping per year I appriciate the feeling of a 2nd home that Edward give in all respects. The hapiness in reception,the no fuss service, clean room, good Wifi, nice breakfast, comfortable bed and good selection of food and beverage in the restaurant is what you want.

This hotel was chipsen because of a discount from training course organizer. It turned out to be a very good alternative with a great bar and restaurant. The room was very nice although a bit hot from lack of airconditioning. This was on the third floor though. The service and breakfast was very good. Parking and free wifi were available.

Hotel located few minuts walk from the center of Likoping. Hotel build in wood and from outside kept in historic style. The Hotel does not have its own parking area, so you do have to park on the streets around the hotel and that is under the 2 hours limits, but from 16.00 to 10.00 you are safe, but a smal minus for the hotel. Warm welcome and info. Did get a large room on the second floor and view to the street side, but no problem with noise. Large bathroom and all very clean. Restaurant at the hotel. After a good nigths sleep we hade a very good breakfast with all wanted. The hotel do have elevator. Hotel is good for tourist or business. Will come back.

You always feel welcome when you enter this hotel. Friendly staff and the rooms are clean and great enough. The breakfast is very good, in fact that what you could expect from a good hotel in Sweden. The restaurants are on walking distance, however the bar and the restaurant in the hotel are also very good.

Pulling up the hotel looks plain and like a boarding house. We received a warm welcome. The room had a fridge and safe which was great. TV was a little finicky. The beds are taller and the top part of my mattress kept sliding causing me to wake in the middle of the night fearing I was falling onto the floor. Breakfast needs more variety.

We stayed for two nights in the superior room which was very good!A nice athmosphere in the Hotel and serviceminded staff! Excellent restaurant on the ground floor-Pirum Restaurant-can be recommended. Central location in the little town of Lidköping with it´s special caracter with low wooden buildings .

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. I was expecting just a basic, functional hotel, which is what it looks like from the outside. Walking in is a whole other story - it was lovely and inviting. There was a gorgeous atrium/sunroom type place that I would have loved to just sit and relax in. The restaurant looked great too, a dining experience rather than a hotel restaurant. Unfortunately we were here just to sleep, so didn't get to enjoy everything. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which is practically unheard of in Sweden. Plus tea and coffee in the lounge/bar (standard in Sweden) with yummy little muffins and nibbles. The rooms were spacious (for Sweden), very clean and quite pretty/not bland. Breakfast was good, very modern, and I loved the added touch of crayons and colouring for kids and a bowl with paracetamol and berocca for adults. It was probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in for a long time, not including luxury. It was very clean, very modern and had pretty much everything you need. Except the pillows... They were awful and my husband, young daughter and I all woke up with headaches. But that wouldn't stop me staying there again if I ever needed to go back to Lidköping.

Friendly staff, nice rooms with a very good bathroom , great restaurant and a nice bar. Beside that breakfast is very good. Only fresh food and plenty to choose from. This is absolute a place to go back too. Easy to find and if you do not want to eat in this restaurant then there are many places to go too on walking distance.
