"Great breakfast & nice rooms"

One night stay as we were heading south for Phoenix. Hotel was in excellent condition throughout. We found the bed to be very comfortable with good pillows and the room was very quiet. Breakfast was quite good with ample quantity for all the guests and they offered soup in the evening which was nice too. We travel through Las Vegas, NM twice a year and plan on making this our regular stop.

"Overall, a good value"

Booked a room through one of the on-line discount reservation sites and was pleased with the room with one exception -- the bathtub was slippery and there was no non-slip mat provided, so I had to be careful. Plenty of hot water, air conditioning worked, tv was HD wide LED screen with plenty of channels, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful.

"dog people will love this hotel"

When we arrived the first thing I noticed was milk bones in a jar next to the cookies in a display case. So doggies are not only welcomed but treated very well. They also has soup for travelers that afternoon. Our room was large, bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was great. We had plenty of towels. The desk clerk gave us recommendations for dinner that turned out to be just what we needed. The breakfast area is large and there was plenty of choices for breakfast.

"Had a great stay"

We spent two nights there. The rooms were clean and were really nice! We used the pool and the fitness room. The pool temp was warm. My kids had a blast. The fitness room had everything that I needed for my workout and had great equipment. Breakfast had a variety of warm and cold cereals, waffles pancakes, and yogurt with an assortment of toppings. There were also eggs biscuits sausage gravy and red and green chile. One of the best breakfast I've had in a hotel. The staff was also very Friendly and helpful. We had a great experience there!

The service of staff was great as soon as we arrived (1am). Rooms were clean, great pool and hot tub. Only stayed one night, but I will stay here again. Breakfast was a bonus, fresh green and red New Mexico chile!

"Nice and clean"

The room was large, nicely decorated, and clean. The Inn was easy to find and quiet. My only complaint was the breakfast. Everything was dry. The bread items seemed stale. If we are back in that area of the country, we would stay there again. A good value.

Stayed here summer of 2016 enjoyed hotel and employees so much we stayed again this year. Outstanding service both times and with our fur baby. The hotel was remodeled recently so it looked different. Breakfast was good and great to start our day.good restaurants for dinner close by. Only negative and not hotel fault, we were in last room next to outside door. Everytime it opened and closed our dog woke up and barked. That door was busy all night. It worked great for taking dog out but not so good for sleeping. If you travel with one dont stay in last room, as that door is heavily traveled. Otherwise its great and again we will be back

Location: On main drag coming into town. About two miles from downtown. Not on Freeway. Very little road noise. Easy driving distance to restaurants. Property: Limited landscaping. Covered entryway. Functional lobby. Breakfast are just off the lobby. Large seating area. Fairly good layout to prevent crowding. Business Center is in separate room with two computers and a printer. Private. Fitness Center well equipped: one recumbent bike, treadmill, elliptical, universal machine, dumbbells, rubberized floor with two mats. Hallway carpets bright but dirty. Generally clean but could be better. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Room: King suite large and clean. Good mattress. Comfortable sofa. A/C blows across the foot of the bed...good. Two TV's. Breakfast: Well stocked. Only one yogurt choice, no nut toppings, sausage overcooked. Internet: Very fast at 64.18 Mbps download.

"SMALL ROOMS GOOD PRICES"

Had a last minute change in plans so I called to reserve a room & the Lady I spoke with made it very pleasant. Finally arrived about 9pm. Room was clean however it was smaller than normal for 2 queen room. Breakfast was nothing to write home about.

The only problem I saw, was the breakfast items were cool instead of hot. Made for not so good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked for assistance. I would stay again if the breakfast gets cleaned up.

"Adequate, but less than expected"

Las Vegas is a normal stop for us and this was a first time in this facility. The room was what we expected and appeared clean upon entering. But we kept stepping on pieces of Cheetos! How do you vacuum a room and miss these in numerous places? The breakfast was below par for the breakfasts furnished in hotels... and our expectations were not high.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Everything was in good order and breakfast was great. The hotel seemed fairly busy but it didn't seem noisy in the rooms at all. We would definitely stay here again.

"Good With One Major Issue"

Everything was excellent - the staff was great, room was very clean, comfortable bed, liked the location, every;thing was really good except, I had had one major issue; my room had an adjoining door - it was very loud in my room. Neighbors watching (of course) Fast and Furious movie - did I mention how loud it was in my room. I could hear their conversations- everything. Thankfully they did not stay up too late, 'cause I was up as long as they were up. Don't know if rooms without adjoining doors, if they have any, are better.

My husband and I spent one night here on our way from Oklahoma via Capulin Volcano to Santa Fe. The hotel is perfectly located (meaning very easy to find). The room was clean and comfortable and quiet as can be. The breakfast was a step up from standard "free breakfast" fare. (They had grits!!!!!!!!). The coffee was very good. If our travels take us in that part of New Mexico again, we'll most certainly stay at Best Western Plus Montezuma Inn and Suites.

This was our third stay here. Great staff, nice rooms and a very good breakfast with many choices. During our 3 day stay we got to know many of the team. A big thank you to the entire staff. We will return.

"Stuck in Las Vegas NM"

My husband and I were on a road trip across New Mexico and our car broke down in Las Vegas. We had pulled over to a gas station because I had suddenly fallen. We had to order a part that would not be in for a day or two. We were recommended to the Bestern Western Plus Montezuma. Upon arrival the manager was in the lobby of the hotel and greeted us and asked about our reason for the visit. We explained the situation and his gratuity was overwhelming. He immediately got us a room where I could rest from my illness and my husband could work on the car issues. They offered us transportation to stores or restaraunts and any other things we needed. We ended up being there for two days and the entire time he checked on our well being. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. If you are traveling through New Mexico visit the Best Western Montezuma!

Great stay. We only stay at best westerns and this one meets every mark. They have after noon snacks of soup and cookies. Children enjoyed the pool and I LOVED the sauna. The breakfat buffet had both of pancakes & waffle option.

We stayed night of 5-9-18. I was met at front desk by a very friendly man who was quite proficient with check in and offered several local sites to visit while in town at my request. The room was quiet, clean and spacious. Great bed with many pillows. Good water pressure in the clean shower. Excellent evening cookies. Quite nice hot breakfast including hot cakes and waffles, scrambled eggs sausage, breads and sweet rolls. Many other items including fruit and great hot coffee. Check out was automatic and painless. Ample parking. I will stay again when in this area.

Garbage in the room, non working hot tub, very uncomfortable bed & pillows, heating/air had issues, non draining tub and sink, stale dry breakfast, very rude staff and very overpriced! Don't stay here!

We stay at Best Westerns. This one happened to be where we were going to stop for the night. The hotel itself lived up to BW standards. I just didn't see the value in the location as to why it was more expensive then the one we stayed at in Nebraska 2 nights before.

Nice spacious room and clean but a few issues. First, entry door had been repaired but still was very difficult to close. Second, no soap dish in bath. Third, no Television guide provided. Fourth, noisy in corridors. Lots of door slamming. Maybe they had defective doors like mine? Staff very friendly and courteous. Breakfast included. I will probably try s different place next stay.

It is difficult to find quality and value in small towns, but this place is the exception. Very pleasantly surprised. Very modern and clean facility with a friendly staff. A little difficult to find as building signage a little hard to recognize. i liked the older Best Western signs much more; they were distinct and easy to spot.

Hotel was very nice & the staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, but carpet in our room needs to be cleaned. Breakfast was OK. I always read other reviews about how bad the hotel breakfasts are. It's complimentary, there not going to give you steak & eggs. Never got that. Other than that I would stay here again.

"Comfy but very poor shower "

We stopped here on a road trip with our two kids. The hotel is quiet and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately, the shower head in our room had build up that caused the water to shoot out the remaining holes so fast that it actually hurt to shower. It's an easy fix, but it certainly made our morning uncomfortable. We left early so there wasn't a desk manager to contact (i didn't want to bother the very nice breakfast manager that was working hard to feed hungry guests). It's a good place to stop otherwise.

We usually stay in Albuquerque as we travel to and from Colorado. This time I wanted to try staying here. I called the hotel after I made my reservation to request a certain floor, if possible. I spoke to Christina and she said, “No problem.” A couple of weeks later, on our way there, I called to find out the weather conditions going through the mountains because it had been very windy and raining. Again, Christina answered. She took the time to check for us. The hotel was very nice. We were given a room in the area we requested. The room looked great. The bed was comfortable. The hotel has a large breakfast area, and the food was good.

This is a perfect hotel for a family. The indoor pool is very nice and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. It's nice that a fitness room is also available. Most importantly the hotel is clean, comfortable, and you receive great service. I felt like i got more than my money's worth.

Great hotel with a welcoming bowl of cheese broccoli soup. Great breakfast in the AM and really great rate. Got a King Suite for a discount. Bed was comfy and suite had plenty of room. The suite was also very clean, neat and tidy.

We stayed in this BW on our way home and found it to be a nice find. We were met with a friendly clerk and were upgraded upon check-in. The location was easy to find off the interstate. We did not use the pool or fitness room so I cannot review them. This is a really nice room for the price. I would return to this BW.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the past weekend. It was a wonderful experience. The place is clean, comfortable and the staff is very friendly. There is sufficient parking. It is conveniently located to freeway access, but far enough away to be nice and quiet. We were not disappointed.

We always dine here because we love everything about it. The staff are lovely friendly people. The service is quick. The food is always delicious and the servings are huge. The restaurant is dimly lit and very relaxing. The decor is great. Tables aren't too small when the large plates arrive. Definitely not overpriced. Value for money. The music In the background is calming and peaceful, not too loud that we have to yell over the top of it We Love this place ??

We were making a transition from one home to the other. We're "snowbirds." After working hard to close down one house and pack all the "stuff" we would need in the other one, it was great to stop at this lovely place and not have to leave until the next morning. We were using our points, and were given a comfortable, quiet room, a free soup supper, and a delicious breakfast, all free. They treated us as well as if we had paid for all this.

This is a nice alternative to the other chain hotels in Las Vegas, NM. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated room. Much better than average breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. We would stay here again if passing through the area.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located close to fast food and convince stores. We checked in late at night and left early, so didn't get to use the pool. Breakfast was served early and was excellent. Will definitely stay there again.

My puppy was welcome, in fact they made a big deal over her. The room was dog friendly, the staff was very nice. It was a typical hotel near the interstate but it was clean and inviting. The food in the morning was more than adequate. I would stay here again.

"Deodorant aroma in room."

Large 2 queen bed room, plenty of counter space and very quiet. Decent breakfast, very friendly staff. Would have given this an average rating if only there was not a nauseating deodorant smell. At least it did not give me stuffy nose, sneezing, etc., like I had at a hotel in Aspen, CO. Guessing they use deodorant to mask dog odors as this was a pet room. But, if you clean and vacuum well, maybe even shampoo carpet, then no pet odors. Room was clean, but carpet definitely had a problem, as dog was constantly sniffing spots on floor, even scratching at a few. Besides dirty shoes track in a lot more disgusting stuff than a 4 legged animal, that is why many cultures have people remove shoes as you enter a home.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a really nice Best Western Plus in Las Vegas, NM. The rooms were nice, Fitness Center was highly equipped and the pool/spa was nice. I was surprised to find a Dry Sauna that worked extremely well. During the weeknights they have hot, homemade soup. Great value and tasty. The staff was great as well. I will definitely be back.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now in the past year. I was very satisfied both times. In June we were here for graduation and a lot of my family stayed here and all were very pleased. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and the staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive until you checkout. I will most definitely come back!

I love Best Western and this location was no exception. Great service, clean and comfortable rooms, great amenities and free breakfast. And all for a really great price! The fitness room was large and clean, the pool & hot tub were great, and the room itself was huge with a wonderfully firm bed.

The BW is conveniently located off I25 and easily accessible to downtown, and hospital. The property is well maintained, clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel amenities are an inside pool, guest laundry facilities, breakfast room, and work out area. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Across the street is Pino's with excellent food.

The hotel was good but not great. The beds were comfortable. Our room was supposed to have had the sofa bed made up but it wasn't. We had to call down for sheets and make the bed ourselves. The bathroom could use a little updating as sink area was a bit chipped and tub mat looked very dirty. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast was a good variety.

We were very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the room and the quality of the breakfast. It internet connection was fast. The location is ideal for easy access to the expressway and to the quaint downtown area. We will stay here again.

We have stayed here many times since they have opened. The evening soup is a really neat touch. Didn't get a chance for breakfast this time. Forgot LV is above 6000 feet and this ole body took a hit from that.The staff is very friendly. Will stay here again.

Staff was very pleasant. There was a soup available in the evening and a nice breakfast the following morning (very busy). About a mile to the west there were several restaurant options and shopping. (wendy's, Walmart, Walgreens, etc). Hotel was clean and a good option for our quick stay in Las Vegas. Hotel seemed newer and in good clean condition. I overheard the clerk tell a walk-in customer that they were sold out and that they also own the hotel right next door (Days Inn). He guaranteed that the room would be equally as nice. I would definitely stay here again,

The room was nice. The hotel is very clean. The staff was nice. The breakfast had some issues: the coffee was cold. We were out of plates. Also out of grated cheese. The food was fresh and good but the staff should have paid a little better attention to the bar.

This is an excellent place to stop and the front desk employee was friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and roomy. The morning breakfast was ample and varied. There are many area attractions in Las Vegas for visitors to spend a few days.

Our room was clean and very comfortable. It was a little bit noisy and there were no black out curtains over the sheers on the windows. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast area was clean but a little crowded.

Hotel stay was ok but could have been better. The swimming pool creating high humidity in the hallway and our hotel room. It was noisy as sound proofing among rooms was not enough. The hotel was hard to find as it was on the way out of town.

Another guest had left the back door propped open and that is why the hallway was warm. The town has three exit. We are on one of the end exits by all the other hotels. Not sure why we were hard for you to find at all. Thank you for your review.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Appreciate that the juices had no high fructose corn syrup. Liked the pancake machine, easier to use than waffle machine. Eggs were dried out. Only had diet yogurts. They serve soup in the evening. Would be nice if they identified the flavor available.

We so enjoyed our stay at the BW + Montezuma Inn & Suites. Troy and his staff was fabulous and went over and above to make our stay wonderful for our group of 50. We had a wonderful 3 days at the BW+ Montezuma Inn & Suites!!! The staff was great to work with, as we chose this hotel back in April for our group of 50 people to stay at. We had the exclusive use of a great meeting room to gather in during the 3 evenings we were there -- and they didn't complain about all the noise we made as we enjoyed ourselves each day after golfing at the Gene Torres Golf Course in Las Vegas. New hotel; very clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is included; quite a few choices, both hot and cold (including waffles). The best way to get to it is from the farthest north exit off of I-25.The only problem we had was a power outage, which was not the hotel's fault; there was a storm and lights were out all over the general area.

Breakfast included a rotten apple, but the most egregious problem was this hotel was the least Pet Friendly, Pet Friendly hotel ever. Someone complained about our dogs making noise, so we checked out of the BW and moved to the Regal and took our dogs to the golf tournament the next day...where they NEVER made a sound!

Our hotel is VERY PET FRIENDLY! We have a 2 year old chocolate Lab (hotel dog) that is at the hotel everyday. This Gentleman was here for a golf tournament with an entire group. He left two dogs in the bathroom locked up while he went to play golf all day. We got several complaints from other rooms about the dogs barking. We contacted the man to please come and take care of them. He came to the hotel and as I was offering for him to bring the dogs to our front desk so we could watch them till golf was over. He walked away from me. He came down and checked out and stuck his key card into half an apple that he brought from his room, not our breakfast area. His dog also used the bathroom on the floor and he did not clean it up. His entire group had a great stay. This review has NO truth to it!

If you don't have a reservation for another night here you are rudely asked to check out without an option to pay for another night. What happened to stay as long as you'd like? Overnight guests should have an option to stay as long as needed without feeling like I'm left homeless when I'm hundreds of miles away from home

Your typical best western but unfriendly worker.The room was great but management not so much. Needed assistance with some extra towels and some girl with red hair was very unprofessional. I've stayed at many hotels in the past but she was very disrespectful. I understand she may have been on break but very disappointed that smoking weed in the back of the hotel was more important than being of assistance to us.Won't be coming back to this place.

Rooms at this hotel are accessed from interior corridors. The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was large with plenty of tables. I used the fitness center which is open 24 hours. Staff were friendly and professional. I recommend this hotel.

This is your typical best western. Did not utilize the breakfast or pool areas. Got in late, so slept in until check out time. Easy on and easy off to I25. Hotel was very clean. Upon checkout, I asked where was good place to eat breakfast, he recommended Charlies cafe and bakery. Gave easy directions to find cafe. He was right...great breakfast menu and food.

Very accommodating staff, told us to check the room and if we needed another, just let them know. The room was very comfortable and the bed was good, we both got a good night's sleep. I spilled some coffee on the bed one morning and talked with the house keeper, and she was so gracious,and said it was no problem and promptly took care of it with clean bedding. Breakfast is very good with a great variety. We would definitely use this Inn and Suites again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was well kept and clean. Loved The comfortable king size bed. The lights in the bathroom with the fan didn't work but that wasn't a problem because there was a light over the sink. As I was checking out I mentioned it and I Soum the maintenance tech overheard and immediately made notes to repair.

When making your reservation make sure you double check with the hotel that they have "pet rooms". Or you will end up after paying and arriving that they are "sold out" "out of luck", and there is no refund!

I was impressed by the fitness center in particular for the Montezuma Best Western in Las Vegas, New Mexico. The rest of the hotel was fine but my lasting memory is of the fitness center. They have some really impressive equipment and the room to move around and get a good workout.

Every time my husband and I have an overnight somewhere we always stay at a Best Western. They are always clean and have pretty decent breakfasts. Also, because we are veterans we get a great rate. I highly encourage anyone who is prior military to stay at Best Western. You cannot beat the price and the hotels are always great.

We stayed here for 1 night for a very decent price. The beds were very comfortable. When I checked in i got lucky because 4 people got in line behind me to check in as well. But when we got to our room our key cards didn't work. We had to get back in line and for some reason the hotel clerk took forever checking the others in. We waited about 20 minutes.

We stayed here on our trip back to Phoenix and we're pleasantly surprised. I made my reservation through Expedia and got an affordable rate for a king. We were a late check-in and upon check-in were greeted with a smile, jokes, and offered a snack. The entire hotel appears new or remodeled, it was clean with a nice fresh scent. We did not use the pool or business center, however; both were easy to locate and appeared to be free of complications. The hotel is smoke free and our room was large with a generous bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable, no sinking to the middle. The TV was large and had many channels to surf. The bathroom towels were huge and the shower had decent pressure with ample hot water. The bathroom lacked a vent fan though. The breakfast was a full one with pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, and many pastry items. They also had four types of juice. It was plenty to keep us going. We travel this way often and would stay here again.

Staff was awesome. We booked our stay on expedia 4 hours before arrival. When we got there, found out that they're communicaiton with expedia had been down so the room ended up double book and was not available to us. We had booked a room that could hold 6 people. They were great and compensated us with ajoining rooms for the same price we had paid. Rooms were, great - very clean. Work-out room was good, internet good and breakfast was good (nice selection). Our only compaint was that the pool & hot tub were dirty. (I fished a big hairball out of the pool before my 12 year old would jump in.) I didn't report this because I knew they'd had a tough evening of check-in due to the expedia problem and it was only about 1 hour before the pool was due to close and figured it would get cleaned for the next day.

The manager, Troy Denison, "rescued" us at the Las Vegas, New Mexico airport. We have reservations at a downtown hotel but that hotel was unable to provide transportation and because it was the Fourth of July weekend we could find no other transportation to get to the hotel. There was a phone number posted for the local Best Western Hotel so I called that number and asked if it would be possible to pay the BW to take us to that other hotel. The BW Manager, Troy Denison, answered the phone and he said that he would be at the airport in 15 minutes to pick us up and take us to that "other" hotel. When we got to that downtown hotel we found it to be completely unsatisfactory so we again called Troy. He returned, picked us up and took us to his hotel where we enjoyed a good nights rest. We had an early departure the next morning so Troy came to his BW hotel at 5:30am and took us to the airport. My wife and I have traveled a lot but never have we had such a good experience.

Employees great. Ice machine missing on 3rd floor. Told the owner also owns the Days Inn next door and it was moved over there. Elevator floor is disgusting. Pool out of order and 8PM some folks came walking on our room..."HI!". I understand that BW is trying to remake their brand. They have come a long way but still a ways to go.

Thank you for your comments. The requirement is ice machines on every other floor and we did not move it to the Days Inn. This hotel is only eight years old. Not sure what the comments are for about the 80's and 90's. The pool was closed because a child got sick in it and we had to treat it.

Hotel is near interstate, but far enough that you don't hear traffic. Staff is great. Breakfast could use a little improvement, but good enough to satisfy. Looked like a nice swimming pool, but it was closed for our stay, due to too much chemical in pool at the time.

Very nice hotel. Staff very helpful. Desk clerk came to room to help get the I-Net started. Took laptop down to front desk to log-in. Kept it going back to 3rd floor room. Shut it down. Restarted laptop and could not log-in(at 1AM) Gave up.

I visited Montezuma to attend the UWC USA Graduation and had quite a delightful weekend. The rooms were spotless, the service friendly and attentive. My only negative is that at night when trying to sleep I could hear the footsteps of persons walking in the room above mine on the 2nd floor).

The good: friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, quiet room, delicious evening soup. We've stayed here a few times when in Las Vegas to visit nearby friends. It's always good enough to come back to. Unless they've fixed the chlorine problem, I'd advise avoiding the pool.

The towels could use some softer. Also the outside yard need to be clean better. Lots of cigarettes butts. Put butt can so people will have a place to put there butts. Breakfast was good,but food run out and no one was there to replace the food.

We stayed in November heading south and again in April going home. The evening soup is always good as well as the breakfast. Our check in was a bit bizarre as no one was at the desk for 10 minutes. The staff member apologized as she was resolving a problem for a guest. It appeared there was a shortage of staff. We were quite surprised to find underwear in the bathroom that the cleaning staff missed. We got a great price through priceline and will return next year.

We stayed here to avoid the mess of Albuquerque. Friendly small town. Great food at the Hillcrest restaurant, including New Mexican. We will keep this [lace in mind if we travel this way again. I'm finished now.

The room was nice and spacious. It was very quiet and peaceful, although it is close to the road for easy access, we could not hear any road noise The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. 4K HD TV was pretty awesome too. We will stay here again for sure.

My husband and I stopped for a night on a long roadtrip. Hotel and staff were very nice. My only complaint is the wifi that wouldn't stay connected. The hotel was very busy when we arrived, due to a large group of bicycle riders arriving at the same time. Staff handled the quick influx well.

"Sufficient for an over night stay"

My family and I stayed the night at this Best Western on our way back home to Colorado. Over all it was an acceptable stay. Our room was clean and beds comfortable enough. The bathrooms could use a little attention as far as maintaining the tile floors and the interior of the showers. The grout of the tile was cracked and missing in some places and the shower interior had a strange patchy area that looked like it possibly once had a soap dish or the like attached and it had been removed and somewhat sloppily patched over, but it was clean and that is much more important than the aesthetics in my opinion. Carpets were clean and heater in the room worked well and warmed up our room quickly. The sound proofing of the walls and ceilings was definitely poor as we could hear people walking, talking, slamming doors, and noise from surrounding television sets, but it wasn't enough to keep me awake. They also offer free breakfast, which is always an appreciated bonus. The breakfast was edible. Not great by any means, but it was free and it saved us the time and money of having to stop for breakfast elsewhere. The front desk staff didn't seem overly friendly as they did not greet my two small daughters and I as we entered the hotel or wish us well as we left, but what can you do I guess?? All in all, it was an adequate hotel for our over night needs. Nothing outstandingly good or bad about the stay. We would stay here again if ever passing through Las Vegas in the future.

The Montezuma Inn is clean, neat, and staffed with gracious friendly people. We rolled in a bit late and bowls of hot minestrone awaited us. The evening MOD went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and pleased with the room and we were.

Turn into town from the interstate, and go where it's quieter than right by I25. Room was clean and spacious with a king bed. Wi-if worked once we were patient! Evening snack was soup (after 6:00 PM)!! Plenty of parking for trailers.

This is a hotel that we always look forward to staying. The rooms are big and modern and the staff are always smiling and friendly and helpful. We love their complimentary homemade soup every evening! The breakfasts are excellent as well and everyone is so accommodating.

We travel with 2 cats so finding a hotel that allows cats is sometimes difficult. This hotel accepted us and gave us an excellent room well appointed with enough room for a litter box and food tray and all our gear. Because part of the room had vinyl flooring it was easy for us to clean up litter and food crumbs. The beds were comfortable and the heating system was just right. Wish all hotels were this accommodating for pets as this hotel. Will stay again when we come through.

You're better off driving the extra hour to get to the Best Western in Santa Fe. This hotel was gross. My room was not clean and I felt discriminated against by the staff. 0/10 would not stay there ever again.

"Decent hotel"

The staff were very accommodating and the rooms clean and big, although a little plain. TV channels were very limited, getting ready Sunday morning there was nothing on but infomercials. The had an Otis Spunkmeyer machine but never any cookies. The location was really easy to get to.

Nice room and very clean, very accommodating front desk. We had an issue with the air conditioning, Mathew(service tech) addressed it very promptly and professionally. The staff let us utilize a Mtg room for us to gather, as there many of us attending the same funeral. They engaged us at every need and did there best to meet it! The whole experience was awesome! They all gave a sense of service to you and made you feel as at home as you could be.

We reserved our room the night before we visited so when we got to the inn our reservation was ready for us. The room was on the second floor facing to the west of the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was with the heater.. It heated for a while, then stopped and blew out cold air. A repairman came to fix it and it worked for some of the night. Then it would not heat again. We reported it that morning when we left and it sounded like they were having trouble with several of the heating systems at that time. The breakfast was very good with a large selection of items. The coffee was excellent.

The only complaint I had was the dirty bathtub. We called the front desk and they moved us to another room right away. They were all very friendly and accommodating. We stay at best westerns almost every time we travel, this was the first time there has ever been a problem.

Used to be the best hotel in Las Vegas, NM (we have stayed here at least 12 times). New management does everything "cheap"; e.g., shower fixture in ADA room used to be suitable for handicapped person's use. It was replaced with the cheapest Delta fixture available (has no height adjustment so seated handicapped person can't reach it / shower head has no option for type of spray - it's either on or off). Doesn't feel like anything special now. Might be time to try Holiday Inn.

The facility is very nice. Clean and comfortable. Bed excellent and bathroom more than adequate. We come to Las Vegas frequently and will choose this motel for future visits. We had always stayed down town in the old hotel or in motels on the highway. This is better by far.

I had never stayed at this location before and made a reservation sight unseen. The young lady who helped me over the phone was extremely helpful and efficient. she was the same person who checked me in when I arrived later that night. She explained everything in detail and soon enough, had me on my way to the room. The room was clean and fresh as was the linens on the bed. The bed was a bit used but not too bad. The bathroom was spotless and towels fresh and plentiful. The A/C worked great, providing the perfect white noise for a sound sleep.

This is our third visit to Las Vegas, as we are in the process of moving to the area in the future. This hotel made a great impression from walking in, the staff was very nice and courteous, the room was clean and Service from the staff anytime we needed anything was fast and friendly. They serve a great breakfast, always have fresh coffee downstairs, and even a pot of soup in the evenings if you need something to warm you up. We will definitely stay here again. And exceptional hotel experience in a small town

Decided to try this place again after finding this hotel on a prior trip. Have to say it was disappointing. First, the room was clean enough. That was the upside. The shower head was so corroded it hardly allowed water to flow. Tried to work on it some but it was no use. I think this paired with towels that were hard and crusty made this part of the stay rough. I believe our heater/air conditioner unit was on the fritz. It ran in intervals of 1-3 minutes and came on again. This made it hard to sleep as it ran on and off all night. Being on the road this made things tough as the night of sleep was not good. We did not report any issue because the guy at the front desk made a bad first impression. Feel bad writing such a down review but it is just how things played out.

We had a mini-suite on 1st floor that included a microwave & fridge. Everything appeared pretty new, but more importantly it was clean, comfortable and quiet. Desk staff was great. If you're in Las Vegas, NM stay here.

Clean, attractive hotel, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good breakfast, reasonably priced, loved everything about it, however would not be able to stay again because of the heavily scented cleaner, laundry supplies or spray used that caused headache and throat and airway irritation. Bed had a heavy perfume scent then noticed the same scent in the hallway and breakfast area in the morning. Unfortunate because scent seemed completely unnecessary as hotel appeared so clean.

I've stayed here many times and I'm always greeted by kind, friendly staff. Add fresh-baked cookies, and what more could a person want. Laundry room, fitness room, pool...Vietnamese food across the street...all the amenities I need when I'm busy and traveling. The suite was beautifully laid out and decorated. The management team has customer service and comfort as its priority--and it shows. It can be hard to find this level of professionalism in a small town, but not here. Will definitely be back.

We wanted to stay in Santa Fe but the hotels there were very expensive. We found Las Vegas, NM had better price hotels and chose Best Western. It was close to couple of National Parks and it was only hour drive to Santa Fe.

"Terrible wi-fi"

Pros - Newer facility, clean room, comfortable bed, adequate breakfast. Cons - Terrible wi-fi connection, and we heard several other guests complaining about it, as well. Tiny refrigerator in the room with no freezer compartment and no VISIBLE way to control the temperature of the refrigerator. We always travel with a cooler, and our ice blocks defrosted in this little fridge. When we mentioned it to the desk clerk at the time of check out, she mentioned that there is a temperature control on the back side of the refrigerator. This mini fridge is housed in a larger armoire-type dresser. There is no way a guest should be expected to pull out the refrigerator (liability) to check for a refrigerator temperature control. Other minor issues - only 2 bath towels, 2 face cloths, and 2 hand towels provided for 2 guests. Most other facilities provide 3 or 4. If you shower at night and then need to shower again in the morning, often times the towel you used last night is not yet dry. As I said, this is minor. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Fan on the heater woke me every time it cycled on. If you can tolerate these issues, then I would recommend staying here. It was good for one overnight and we would most likely stay here again.

Thank you for your review. The slow internet was on the provider. They were doing work on it. The refrigerators are set to a constant setting. We dont have freezers because they over ice. We always allow guest to put their freezer items in our kitchen freezers. We always supply extra towels and amenities to any guest that requests them.

There was a lot of noise and I was woken a couple of times. May have been due to a young athletic team staying at the hotel. I am a senior citizen and very picky which may be why I was not very happy about my stay.

Our room was great except it was near the elevator and that meant we could hear people all night. Plus the pool had way too much chlorine. Just walking in and it was stinging the eyes. Breakfast was good and warm.

Friendly people from the time you walk into the front door until you leave. Very nice suite, quiet even tho it is next to a main highway. Good breakfast with pancakes, New Mexico Green Chili's and tortillas. Nice to have good hot soup in the evening. It was nice to have Moka greet us at the front desk. Great place to stop at on your way to El Paso or parts North.

This seems to be a newer hotel conveniently located on Business Loop I25 with easy access to enter back on I25. The room was very large, clean, and nicely appointed. The bath towels were extra long so they wrapped the body nicely! Although I was next to the elevator, I didn't hear it or the passengers. I did not see any restaurants to walk to so visitors may want to check out eateries as they drive through the area enroute to the hotel. The beverage machine on my floor was empty and there was no ice machine. I went to another floor and the machine was sold out of my preferred beverage (water). Finally a third machine provided the water. Since my stay was on a Thursday evening and I checked in around 4"00 pm I would have expected the machines to be full.

This hotel was clean inside and out and got a great Highlands rate. The beds were soft and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, had tortillas, cheese, red/green chili to make breakfast burritos, loved it! My kid liked the chocolate chips to put on her waffle. Only con, my husband said the people walking above us kept him up but not the rest of us. We'll be back.

We are all used to motels, and at a certain level, most fit a pattern of service and amenities you would expect. The Montezuma Inn was all my friend and I expected, and at a reasonable price. Then we discovered that his 'I feel tired' was no joke. We were traveling cross country by motorcycle, so I couldn't just drive him to a clinic. The way he looked - I went to the desk to ask about local medical facilities. That's when the motel management showed true excellence. Alta Vista Hospital was just up the road; the front desk staff dialed 911 and handed me the phone. In minutes my friend was under care. The motel put the shuttle van at my disposal to get back and forth to the hospital. At every step they were available and involved - a "What else can we do?" attitude. We are from Oklahoma, and are used to exemplary neighbors. We are not used to finding that attitude away from home. Kudos to the the staff and manager for taking a personal interest in a problem beyond their responsibilities. We would go out of our way to stay there again.

The people that work here are the nicest and most understanding people I have ever dealt with in the hotel industry. I had a nightmare situation with priceline where I was on the phone for 2 hours trying to figure out why priceline had my reservation all messed. The front desk lady, Christina, was very sweet and helped me as much as possible throughout the whole ordeal. Long story short, priceline canceled my reservation without telling me and the General Manager here, Troy, was so nice and understanding that he gave me a room for an extremely good deal compared to what I originally paid for on priceline and then took care of getting my refund back for me this morning while I ate breakfast. If you decide to stay in Las Vegas, New Mexico then this is the place to stay. Fantastic customer service and beautifully clean rooms :)

"Traveling thru to Balloon Fiesta"

hotel is mostly updated and clean. Modern facilities and spacious. Hot breakfast. The say queen beds but ours were only full. The hot tub railing was broken and they had a sign taped to it and caution tape. We specifically requested a NON PET FRIENDLY room and unfortunately they feel that cleaning and spraying is the same as non pet friendly rooms. So this causing allergy and sinus issues for a traveler. We decided since we specified this several times that this is the same for all rooms in the hotel. The did offer an evening soup - complimentary. .that was a nice gesture. In my party some we content and gave it a 4 and others in my party would only give it a 2

Thank you for writing a review of our property. The pool railing was broken by a guest and we are waiting on the replacement bar. We only have 5 pet friendly rooms in this hotel. We do spray (lightly) an air freshener so the room smells fresh after we have cleaned it. All our beds are either Queen or King or our sheets would not fit them. Convenient to interstate. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful with directions to dining options and Walmart. Our room and the overall property were clean. Breakfast was above average in its offerings. The guest laundry room could use a chair. There is no place to dine within walking distance.

Love the "Plus" BWs- room was very roomy. Bed comfy & shower head was huge. Breakfast included lots of options & opened up at 6 AM. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the door (entry) was hung wrong and was extremely difficult to open. Not sure if all doors had that problem... if there was settling after the hotel was built, that would affect a lot of doors.

"Hotel for dogs "

I would like to give this hotel 5 stars, but not everyone can be happy. Let me start by saying the staff has been very professional and tried to be accommodating. Everything started when my family and I checked in yesterday and went up to our room. The second we opened the door, we were hit by the smell of dog urine. I own two large dogs myself and can understand some animal smell. After all, this hotel is pet friendly. But the last thing I want to smell when I am paying for a room on a family vacation is dog pee! I am very surprised that housekeeping let that room slide for "clean". The gentleman at the desk apologized and gave us a new room on the same floor, different hallway. Problem solved right!? Nope! The new room is right next to the elevator. Now I listen to "ding" and the conversations and kids screaming all night while the guests wait for the elevator to come to the second floor. Now hear I am at 6:15 am, on vacation with my family laying in bed listening to the people, or heard of animals in the room above me that have been pacing for the last hour. Time to get up and go home. I understand that some of this is completely out of the control of the hotel however, it started with dog pee in my first room. I'm sure this made me a bit sensitive. I travel a lot for work and am a diamond elite member with BW. This has been the worst experience by far at a BW hotel.

Thank you for your review. We were pretty full and not sure if you requested a pet friendly room or not. That said, there is NEVER an excuse for not having a perfectly clean room to welcome you and the issue and employee have been taken care of. I wish you would have called the 24 hour front desk and we would have contacted the guest above you to be quite. Our hotel is pretty new and we have a new elevator but I have called our repair service to check on if/why it may be noisy. I hope you will give us another chance.

Told on the phone when making reservations that the place is "Very clean" Wow, the place was anything but clean. Our shoes stuck to the filthy floor in our bathroom. Obviously they realized that tourists just pass through town, so they may never see them again... So who cares... Right? Well we recommend you don't waste your time, or money at this place!

Our room was very clean & roomy. Bed was very comfortable. Snack in evening was welcome as we had traveled many miles. The soup & crackers in evening was just right as the weather was stormy & we didn't want to venture out to get something to eat!

We stopped here while traveling in New Mexico. Great downtown area with restaurants. The hotel was super clean, very friendly staff with good recommendations for dinner. The room was spacious and the towels were the best we have used in a week of hotels. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good mini pancakes and the usual cereal, beagles, fruit. Would recommend this place.

The room was okay, price a little high for a basic room. Started off with the key card machine not working at the front desk so staff had to unlock the door for us. Our bathroom door was very hard to close and open due to the floor being uneven. Fridge didn't work that well and the cooler had to be cranked way up to work. Room was clean and staff was helpful. The bed was very comfortable and parking lot was not crowded. The breakfast in the morning was okay but for a good breakfast you might want to eat out. The pool area was nice.

So comfortable and clean. The only thing would be the breakfast must have been very good because there was no seating. The tv reception was not good. but the rest of the stay was wonderful.I will definetly be staying at this hotel again in the future. The area was very quiet with very little traffic.

This is the second time in the last few months I have stayed at this hotel. It is very clean, staff friendly and helpful and in a location that is easy to access. We will be staying there again in a few weeks. This Bestwestern will easily be our "go to" location when we visit Las Vegas, NM.

"Not a good stay"

Went to Las Vegas for the 4th of July weekend. I'm in Las Vegas NM several times a year I have family that live there but like to rent a room for the comfort and I do have little ones so renting a hotel room just makes it all a little bit easier. I usually stay at the Holiday inn express but decided to try out the Best Western other family members were also renting rooms there. Wow big mistake! The room was clean but the room was also very hot the air didn't work we told the front desk they said they would fix it they did nothing the tv says they have many channels but only had maybe 7 I guess they forgot to pay the cable bill the wifi didn't work very good and it wasn't just our room. All and all not very great they are much more expensive and definitely not worth it. Gave it a try but most likely not going back.

This is an above average BW hotel. We very disappointed in the internet and the internet technical support personnel. In all my years of business and leisure travel I have never not been able to get on the internet. I guess there is a first for everything. Also the seating for breakfast is insufficient.

The service was horrible. There for the 4th of july festivities. Nt enough staff to properly clean rooms I guess. For the amount of money they raised the rates for the 4th, the service should have been much better than it was. They also put a hold on my credit card without my permission even though I paid cash

We had plenty of staff on this weekend to service our guests. We do not raise our rates they are our summer rates. Your credit card was used to hold the room. When you paid cash we refunded the credit card the full amount. That is our hotel policy.

The BW Hotel was close tot he highway and to our destination the next morning Hotel & room were clean and staff was friendly. Bed was NOT comfortable. Breakfast was good but many items already "out" when 30 minutes still remained on the brief (6am - 9am) mealtime.

The room was very nice. As most hotels do, your Kleenex box has all of 5 tissues. Breakfast was good, but limited seating. Get a room on first floor and just go back to eat in room. Very friendly staff. I'll be checking best western for future trips...this was our first trip and we were pleased with the cleanliness and staff.

Las Vegas, New Mexico is an unusual. It is surprisingly busy. Our room was nice but a little dated ( no USB ports on the lamps and worn furniture). It just was not the quality I expected. The phone was broken and it was obvious they did not know. Our room was on the third floor so our room was hot when we arrived. It did not cool for several hours. We were located in what i thought was a quiet end of the hall with only a storage room. During the night there was a lot of talking in the hallway and there was a smell of cigarettes.

The room was wonderful, except that the TV and internet didn't work very well. The major negative was the noise--seriously, door banging by inconsiderate quests was a major negative! Even with the door banging--I would stay at this motel again.

First of all get some better mattresses. The staff was very helpful and pleasant I did not like that they had a dog running from behind the counter and also in the eating area and in the kitchen where they prepared breakfast my daughter is very allergic to dogs not everybody are animal people and especially not where you serve breakfast or prepare it

The room was alright. The pool water was cold. The elevator was filth. We notified the staff about the elevator problem, but the problem was ignored. We have stayed at this hotel before and have been happy with everything. This time it seemed like there was new staff or new management that didn't take as much pride in the property.

We did clean the elevator several times as the hotel was sold out with 2 colleges graduation on the same weekend. It was hard to keep up with. I personally checked our pool heater and it was at 89 degrees which is regulated by the health department locally. We look forward to seeing you again.

This particular Best Western has become our place of choice whenever we visit Las Vegas, which is every so often. Our room was comfortable, and especially quiet. When it was built, they obviously spent some money soundproofing as there was no Interstate noise or train noise, even though both were nearby. While there, a college team was located on our floor, and having been in college ourselves, we weren't too pleased at the prospect of a night with the team. We were pleasantly surprised however that at precisely 10:00 p.m., silence descended on the floor and there was no sound or sign that they were even in the building. For that, we were thankful. We are always greeted in a friendly manner, and our needs are always met. We will return to this facility on our next visit.

Well cared for motel. Very sincere friendly staff. The rooms were clean. I wish they would put a place to put morning coffee next to the easy chair. There was a coffee stain on the carpet as someone must have tried to put coffee on the room heater. The sink had a minor clog. I told the front desk when we were checking out. The wrote down the room # and the problem. My guess it is fixed by now.

The hotel was obviously newly renovated so it was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I booked a handicapped room in error, so the bathroom was a bit funky, but fine. The other quirky thing was there was this huge empty tiled space in the room. ( wheelchair?) Anyway, appreciated the 2 comfortable chairs provided, luggage carriers and friendly staff. The breakfast had hot items and was continuously replenished. (Not an easy thing to do when you have a College Baseball team partaking.) The only negative was the WIFI took 20 minutes to connect. There weren't coffee makers in the room, but plenty of hot coffee in the lobby.

Very nice motel for the $$. Room was nice. Breakfast was good. A good value. Will stay there again. The staff was friendly and it is close to the freeway for easy access. We didn't use any of the motel facilities because we had driven all day and were very tired. This review requires 200 characters and I'll just say that we will be sure and stop here next year when we travel thru the area.

I stayed at this hotel twice over the last month. Everything was good and I would recommend this hotel. It was clean with comfortable beds free wifi, pool, and breakfast. Not much to do in this town but easy access to and from the highway. Great price for the rooms as well.

This hotel is surprisingly nice, and it's very reasonably priced for what you get. I stayed in a mini-suite with a small sitting area and couch, as well as two TVs -- one for watching in bed and one for the sitting area. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've had all year, and the room was squeaky clean. Also, the staff here is superb. They were very friendly and well-informed, giving good advice and directions for getting around town.

Thank goodness we found Best Western Plus hotel on Trip Advisor a day before we stayed there. The expansive entry with marble looking flooring made a good impression. The hallways, rooms and breakfast area were squeaky clean. The room was well decorated. Breakfast included rolls, cereal, hot food, fruit and yogurt. I recommend this nice hotel.

The Best Western Montezuma is clean and comfortable, and easy access from I-25. The downfall during our stay was our room being at the end of a first-floor hallway right next to an exterior door. I was kept awake much of the night listening to that door slam repeatedly as other guests moved in and out. There was a great deal of noise from above as well. Unfortunately, I did not sleep well, but I imagine other rooms in the hotel are more comfortable. Continental breakfast was the usual buffet spread (cereal, toast, pastries, eggs, etc). This was a brief stay while passing through town so we did not check out the pool or any other amenities.

I've stayed here a few times and other than the exception of a few employees who are grumpy about something from time to time, the overall stay is great. Newer facility and very clean. Great pool, lobby and gym. Beware!!! Not much to do in Las Vegas, NM...LOL

Hotel was as expected, nice, clean, beds were comfortable. overall it was a good place to stay and I would stay there again next time I travel through the area . easy to get to off the highway. a couple of food choices near the hotel and with in easy walking distance. the hotel is outside of the main part of the city and requires a car to get ti the Centro to check it out.

The halls were dirty, and during the night our heater froze up and it got cold and when I told the lady at checkout she just shrugged her shoulders and did nothing. If they don't need our business we will be glad to take it else where. We belong to Best Western's club. And if they don't want to take care of us any better than this, we'll be glad to move on.

The guest service agent at check out asked you if you had reported the problem with the heater unit as we have 24/7 in house maintenance staff that could have resolved the issue immediately. Not sure what you mean by dirty hallways. I personally inspected rooms and all common areas the day of your arrival. I usually do not ever go against what guests say on here however I do not believe our hotel staff did anything wrong accept trying to ensure you had a comfortable stay. This facility was very good and our stay was quite pleasant but a couple of very minor issues (not enough to complain about) prevent me from rating it more than a 4. A small blood spot on the edge of the bed sheet was visible (it had clearly been washed but the stain remained). The nice flat screen TV had only a 'low def' picture.

Stayed one night. Check-in was easy, the rate was reasonable, the staff was most kind and professional, the room was clean and modern. Lots of parking, close to several restaurants. 2 min to I-25, 5 min to the railroad station, abt 10 min to UWC-USA. Definitely one of the best modern hotels in Las Vegas NM.

"Perfect for short stay"

I booked this hotel on Priceline. We were on our way from Illinois to Tucson. It appears to be quite new or recently renovated. I've been pleasantly surprised with B. W. hotels in the west lately. The hotel is near the Interstate with easy on/off access, but is far enough away that you don't hear the roar of vehicles all night. The room is oversized compared to most hotels, with a very comfy king bed. Parking is away from the rooms, so you don't hear cars and trucks coming and going to and from the hotel. The bathroom was large, well appointed and well stocked. The heater/air conditioner was newer and very quiet. Front desk staff was very helpful and recommended local restaurants. The breakfast offered the usual fare, with hot items being the typical waffle and scrambled eggs and sausage patties. The sausage and eggs were prepared too far in advance and were already overdone 15 minutes after the start of breakfast. Cleanliness was top notch. Though a bit pricey, I'd stay here again if I pass through this part of New Mexico.

Las Vegas, New Mexico, was a good first night stopover while traveling from Phoenix back to Mn. This hotel is a gem!! The rooms were beautiful and the pool area (Sauna) was great. The staff is Awesome.

"Not none smoking"

The hotel was clean and friendly, however the people across the hall from us were cogarette smokers. After our second complaint we were offered a different room, however it was 9:45 and we were unpacked and in bed. We were awoken at 6:30 to more cigarette smoke. Another complaint was called down. We finally left the hotel earlier than planned. After 4 complaints, we were not offered any discount and paid regular price for our smoked filled smoke free room. We wondered if the smokers were charged any extra.

We are a 100% NON SMOKING hotel. We are sorry that we had a guest whom choose to ignore our policy. That guest was charged the $500.00 fee for smoking in our room. For a few extra dollars, a nicer experience than the Super 8, Days Inn level. Did not access the breakfast or the later snack that was offered. The newer Best Western and Holiday Inn Express hotels are very similar in quality, in my experience.

"Quiet and clean "

We enjoyed our overnight stay, it was very clean and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and efficient. The only problem was the shower. It was a handicap room and the shower was hand held. The tubing leaked which made the water pressure very low. It was way too late to change rooms, so we did our best and went to sleep. That would not be enough to keep me away. I will stay there again if passing through Las Vegas again.

Nice, welcoming staff who greet you with a smile--the value of this cannot be underestimated. Very clean hotel with plenty of perks. I especially enjoyed the soup in the evening. I expected it to be underwhelming, but it was really quite good, especially since it was about 14 degrees outside when we arrived. The breakfast overall was good, but my first serving of eggs was cold. I got a fresh serving when the buffet was restocked about 10 minutes later. The only thing missing was potatoes--these are important to me as a vegetarian. It would have been nice to have some with my eggs. Got a great rate with AAA and my stay was fantastic!

"Wonderful Place to Stay"

We had come to Las Vegas New Mexico to just relax. We were staying at another motel and the room was just too small so we were ready to go back home and decided to just check out this Best Western motel. We met the manager, Troy Denison, and convinced us we should stay for a couple of nights to try them. Best decision - room was big, clean and comfortable. Also all of the staff were extremely accomodating and friendly. The breakfast was extensive and very good. ALSO they had soup each evening. We ended up staying three days more than we had planned because of the big snow storm at Christmas, 2015. Will definitely be back!!

Our heater did not work at first, but within five minutes, a woman came to our roo to reset it. The breakfasts were more than adequate - cereals, yogurts, fruit, pancakes or waffles, eggs, sausage, juices - plenty of variety. We appreciated that we could have our pets stay with us and did not object to the extra fee. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a NEW and comfortable Best Western, The staff were wonderful and most helpful. The fitness center is full service-pool area refreshing and breakfast delicious. If we are ever in that area again we would make sure to stay there again.

Great motel. Great town. Room was incredibly clean and the staff was most helpful. I checked out early, before breakfast, and night person at the desk put together a plate of danish to take with me. Nice pool and work out facilities. All in all I was very pleased.

"Great Hotel"

The hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. In addition to a nice warm swimming pool, relaxing whirl pool and sauna they have a fitness room. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast even included one of the new pancake machines that makes fresh pancakes on demand. I would stay there again. Added bonus, they serve an evening snack at 6pm. It was soup the night we were there.

One of the nicest Best Westerns we have visited. The lobby and breakfst area are lovely with a beautiful fireplace, a crockpot of soup , coffee and tea to greet you. Breakfast is beautifully displayed. Rooms are nicely decorated and offer lovely amenities. Internet is very reliable. We always spend a night here on the way to Denver.

on way to Denver and stopped here on the way everything was great would stay here if going through Las Vegas again and in need of a place to stay it was clean and employee's were pleasant and helpful it was the best best western I have ever stayed at would recommend it for anyone to stay

The staff was so helpful they went out of the way to assist us. Our car broke down and we landed up having to spend the night. They made it more enjoyable and relaxing vs the stressful stay of having no car.

I was travelling from Las Cruces to Denver and stayed here in the interim to my final destination. The staff was very nice and my room on the first floor was great. I had a room with a tub and I took a luxuriating bath with bath salts. fantastic.

Great staff. Rooms good, Quiet and professional. I always try to stay at the Best Western when I am in Las Vegas overnight. Easy access, quick service and helpful. Beds comfortable, breakfast hot and always ready on time.

We attended a family reunion and memorial in Las Vegas, NM Oct 29-31 2015. This small town has many attractions. It is very historical. The Best Western Montezuma is a newer hotel and is the best looking and cleanest hotel that we have ever experienced anywhere in the Western U.S. It has many amenities; excellent computer area, on site laundry and large fitness room. The password controlled Wi-Fi works great. Breakfast variety is very good; and suitable for all ages. The hotel shuttle is available for in-town and airport transport. The host and staff are polite, friendly and gracious. The Montezuma will be our home; away from home, when we visit there again

all is good....better breakfast is needed. the pool was clean and everything there was as it should be. The bath towels were not as soft as they should have been but overall...good job.this is a good place to stay we liked it a lot. We would stay again without hesitation when or if we make this kind of trip again

We had not stayed over night in Las Vegas in a very long time though we had eaten at the hotel in old town many times. We were traveling with friends who had stayed here, and we loved it. Near the highway and a railroad track, but very quite. Good breakfast. Clean. Comfortable. Will stay here again.

This is a decent hotel, especially for the price. Nice and clean with decent beds. Noise carries a bit. We hit the wall and couldn't make Albuquerque. There wasn't a large selection of reasonably new hotels in town. Happy to find this one.

I was told a price deal when registering and come to find out @ check out it wasn't given on my receipt. Not Happy with the customer service I received @ registration Desk. I will not be going back there.

Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. Best motel in Las Vegas, NM - highly recommended. Room smelled clean and the linens are clean and fresh. Convenient to the interstate. Ask for the top floor for a quieter experience.

For all its flaws and there are a few this is still the best bet in town . Nice rooms in general. Great breakfast complete with green chile sauce ! Busy place on weekends but still the best bet in Las Vegas.

The rooms are very comfortable. Price is a bit high. The staff was welcoming. But the breakfast employee she was the best! Staying here makes you feel at home. Too bad the oil field guests ruin it for all. They trash everything. It's a wonder they're called "Oilfield Trash".

I had booked this place sight unseen before leaving work in ABQ on a Friday afternoon, so I was a little unsure of what awaited me. Pleasant surprise! Clean rooms, nice comfortable bed...just wish the weather had been nicer. Wasn't blown away or anything, but the staff was courteous and helpful, and the room was more than adequate and definitely clean and modern. My only issue is that the Days Inn next door is clearly owned by the same people that own this Best Western, and I had stayed there a few weeks prior and definitely not been impressed. If they put in whatever magic mix they put into the Best Western they would have two great hotels instead of just one.

motel was easy access from roadway, rooms cleans and good service. This is the second time we have stayed there. Came from Minnesota on our way to Arizona. will do reverse in the Spring. Would like to see a better breakfast. Eggs were cold and hard. Need bagels maybe or cream cheeses. Maybe bisquets ad gravy or such.

I really enjoyed this hotel and what it had to offer. When we arrived, they had hot soup (minestrone) in the lobby for us to enjoy. It was great! Our bed was super comfortable as well. Had a pleasant and relaxing stay.

"Avoid at all cost"

The climate control unit did not work and they knew it beforehand. The wonderful lady at the front desk had to advise several guests on how to operate it to get cool air. This should have been disclosed upon check in. We had no quality air conditioning at night. Yes, they offered to send a maintenance man after we had retired for the evening after a long drive. Neither my wife or I slept much that night. They reduced the rate $25. Whoopee! The manager, Tony (or Troy) , would not call me back after I requested that he do so at 7pm that night. Do not stay here. Also, there is no climate vent in the bathroom.

I was impressed with the pool and hot tub area. Very clean. Towels where short but it was late at night and time to close the pool area. The breakfast was better then expected. All the common areas where clean and comfortable.

Excellent Quality, Professional Staff. We were road-tripping and this was perfect for our overnight stay. Rooms was clean and quiet, public spaces and parking were well maintained, staff was friendly and competent. It was a safe and relaxing location.
