"What a gem"

User 06/05/2021

We have been traveling across country and this is by far the best experience we had with a hotel!. Everyone does everything they can to ensure you love your visit to their hotel. Best Western should be proud to have this hotel in their group. 100% quality

"Motel comfort"

JSHCH, Boulder, Colorado 05/05/2021

The design, the upkeep, the hospitality, the location, all make for a pleasing place to stay. Very much a blend of past and present. It is not often we want to simply stay and relax on the property. We hope to be back!

"Huge room!"

SallyForth_AT, Philadelphia, Mississippi 02/05/2021

I stayed in a king room and it was incredibly spacious! Room was clean and I liked the decor - exposed beams, tile framed mirror, tall windows. And I believe the tile floor in the bathroom was heated! I was initially concerned the hotel would be too far from the interstate, but it was not far and access was easy. Would def stay here again!

"Great Value"

Guide39529935674, Whitesboro, New York 15/04/2021

Stayed on a Tuesday night with most of the rooms booked. Had a wonderful stay with a comfortable bed and clean room. Breakfast was a treat with real eggs and delicious sausages. The only drawbacks were the pool was closed due to to COVID and the driveway needed resurfacing. Service personnel were very helpful.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the review about your stay. We are happy you had a wonderful stay with us while in Las Cruces. We just recently opened our breakfast with Covid-19 restrictions so glad you enjoyed it. The pool will be opening soon again with Covid restrictions. We are aware that the driveway needs resurfacing which we planned to do last spring then Covid hit. Nobody was doing driveway work until recently. We are scheduled to get this done but apparently work is backed up. We do appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback and wish you safe travels where ever they may lead. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Excellent service and value"

reysanpascual, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 09/04/2021

Rooms are spacious. The place is dated but towels and sheets are new and not worn. Staff are friendly and take pride in their jobs. Excellent value and service. A big plus in this post Covid world is the hot food breakfast sitting down in the dining room instead of a grab and go cold Jimmy Dean sandwich. The food is served by a staff on to your plate so the food is kept safe from guests. The tables are spaced out. A year ago, I would never have imagined raving about a hotel breakfast. Kudos to BW Mission Inn for this treat.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the 5 star rating and excellent review. We really love to make sure our guests have a wonderful stay. I see that you enjoyed our breakfast. We are finally happy to say we can safely open our hot breakfast with Covid restrictions so our guests can start their day and get on with their journey. We look forward to the chance to serve you in the future when your travels bring you through Las Cruces. Thank you again from all the staff at the Best Western Mission Inn. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Well kept updated"

Norjean, Whitesboro, New York 07/04/2021

No real issues. Average motel style with outside room doors. Renovated, comfortable mission style decorated room. Noisy air conditioner. Pool closed. Courtyard closed but open space in middle of grounds with tables/chairs/benches. Decent hot breakfast with attendant serving. Many takeaway pre packaged cold items available. Reasonable night pricing. Rating of 3 based on fact this is a 2 star facility.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for choosing to stay with us in Las Cruces, Thank you for the feedback regarding your stay with us, I am sorry but not sure what you meant by the courtyard is closed. I believe that you may mean the grassy area, this is open all year long. The pool should be open by the end of the month if all continues in the upward improvement with Governors orders and restrictions. Thank you for enjoying our hot breakfast and other selection items. We are trying to offer our guests something to jump start their morning while still keeping to the Covid-19 guidelines. Thank you again for taking the time out of your busy day to leave feedback we hope you give us another change to serve you in the future. Sincerely, Andrea Das Owners

Eagle1236, Littleton, Colorado 05/04/2021

The Mission Inn is one of the finest motels of the hundreds I've stayed at. The staff is very friendly and efficient, the grounds are very nice with a landscaped area near a fountain and pool for sitting or picnicking, the rooms are large and well appointed, we found it quite quiet, and the breakfast during the COVD rules excellent with hot eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy as well as cereal and bakery..

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the 5 star review and the comment regarding us being one of the finest in hundreds of hotels you have stayed at. It's unfortunate that you don't get the same feeling always when traveling across the country. We love to take of our guests and your needs take priority. Thank you for the wonderful compliments on our property, I loved also our little oasis of green in the desert and find it relaxing and refreshing to sit after a long drive. I am also happy that you enjoyed the breakfast with the Covid restrictions in place allowing us to still provide you with a vast array of options. We hope your travels are safe and hope when your travels bring you this way again you once again choose the Best Western Mission Inn for your stay. We would love the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Old Style and loved it!!"

Karen3015, Wichita Falls, Texas 13/03/2021

This nice and clean “old style” motor inn is so tidy and clean. The decor is charming. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. I loved being able to walk my little dog out in the courtyard. The grounds were very well maintained. The lobby and desk personnel were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the breakfast. I know it's all about Covid restrictions, but one little carafe of coffee 3/4 empty for the whole hotel?? That was very disappointing!!

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Karen for the wonderful review. We are glad you liked our hotel rooms and grounds. We will be opening again for breakfast this week so hope you return again and can partake in the wide selection. We do keep a full made coffee in the back and will fill it as it gets low so it can always be fresh. Travel safe and we look forward to serving you in the future. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Great Room and Customer Service"

joylar46, Espanola, New Mexico 10/03/2021

We were pleasantly surprised with the room. Very clean and the bed was super comfy. I'd like to know where they bought their pillows because it was soft but didn't flatten at all throughout the night. Jack at the front counter was very nice and personable. Breakfast was fine, just some things to take with you like pastries or a fruit cup. With covid, a lot of places don't even try to serve breakfast so we were happy with what we got. For the price, the few things wrong were worth it. If I'm knit picking, the shower temperature was very finicky but the pressure was great and we got the temp right after a few minutes of trying. The channel up button on the remote didn't work, who cares I just scrolled down instead. That's really it, and it wasn't even worth mentioning. The air conditioning worked great and was pretty quiet. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area!

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the great rating and feedback. Other guests will be happy to read about your stay and how much you enjoyed it. "Great service "

FridgeC, Horizon City, Texas 07/03/2021

Great friendly service . The western look was nice. The grass courtyard was also nice There were a bit of small ants near the vanity sink. There was no vent in the bathroom . The Grab and go breakfast was good, there was a variety

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you FridgeC for the great review and feedback we will check into the issues regarding the ants. We are happy you had a good stay overall and like our expanded choices for breakfast. We hope you give us another chance to serve you in the future when your travels bring you to Las Cruces again. Travel Safe. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Excellent! "

ruthr0505, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 07/03/2021

What a preserved gem. Huge room with SW flavor. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, and does offer a nice COVID breakfast. Not in a busy part of town. Nice pool. Would stay here again.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review

"Not the best not the worst"

User 03/03/2021

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They were welcoming as well. First I will say the room was clean and in working order. The issue was as soon as you open the door your hit with the “old dingy” smell. Something to be aware of, but not really something the property can fix, at 2 in the morning I got headlights right in my eyes as hard as I tried to make sure there wasn't a crack in the blinds...

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your honest feedback. We can only improve when our guests let us know where we fell short. Thank you for mentioning that your room was clean and in working order as our housekeeping works hard to make everything perfect for your stay. I am sorry regarding the smell when you entered, I will check into this as all rooms should be fresh when entering. If you should come again which I hope you will please request an upper room to avoid the headlights. This is the first someone has mentioned this and I am sorry it was an inconvenience to you. We hope you will give us the opportunity to make it up to you in the future. Travel safe and again thank you for your honest feedback. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Underrated gem"

wil r, Tacoma, Washington 10/02/2021

This property vastly exceeded my expectations. The room have been remodeled; exterior is carefully maintained. Very clean. OK, this is an older property with some classic touches like the knotty pine furniture. But the rooms have a warm feel. Staff is genial and accommodating. Very approachable general manager mans the front on many mornings. It was a 2 night stay; I truly wish I could have stayed a bunch longer.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you wil r for the wonderful review and 5 star rating :-) You feedback gave a great overview and feeling of what a guest might expect when they come to stay with us at Best Western Mission Inn. "Great place to catch ZZZZZ while traveling across the country during COVID!"

310TravelingFam, Los Angeles, California 25/01/2021

The Best Western Mission Inn is our favorite stop while on a road trip along the I-10. It's always clean -- especially during COVID -- and an easy in and out with direct access to the outdoors from your room.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the great feedback especially during the Covid situation. We know there are many choices for you to stay in Las Cruces but are truly grateful that you choose us. We love to serve our guest as our guest comes first. We hope you have safe travels while driving across the USA. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Great hotel"

User 24/01/2021

This hotel is cheap, and quality. The grab and go breakfast was the best I've seen in COVID, and the staff was helpful. The only bad thing is the toilets are too close to the wall. Nothing that can be done about it, but just kind of inconvenient.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you atlin1 for your 5 star rating and feedback :-) It has really been a challenge to bring our guests breakfast with Covid restrictions but are happy that you enjoyed the selection of items. We are glad you found our staff helpful. Travel safe and we look forward to seeing you again if your travels bring you this way. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Oldie but a goodie"

gobacks, Grants Pass, Oregon 18/01/2021

This property is older however it does not feel or look old. This is a very clean and well run establishment. We will absolutely stay here in the future. The grounds are very clean. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you gobacks for the wonderful feedback about our hotel. Yes you would think it's a older hotel but we love to hear you like the updates and clean rooms. Our housekeeping and staff all work hard to give you a great stay. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a good review. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

User 12/01/2021

Best place I stayed driving from Los Angeles to Texas. comfortable, safe, and good price. AARP discount. Highly recommend. Loved the room and facilities. The New Mexico decor made it feel so relaxing. Nice outdoor area.

Hotel is older but kept up very nicely, staff is both helpful and friendly. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. A great value for your dollar. Easy access to Las Cruces, I will stay here again next time I visit Las Cruces

"Pleasantly surprised"

GerryD1944, Standish, Michigan 21/12/2020

We stayed at Best Western while returning to Arizona for the winter. We like a two story building and like ground floors for convenience. We also like a well lit parking area so we can keep watch of our vehicle. When we first drove up to the office, the parking lot was not well lit and we weren't going to stay. But we drive around the building and saw that indeed most areas had a light close to the parked vehicles. I went in to register for a room and ask if we could have a room and park our vehicle in front of the window that had a lit area. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. She gave us a room on the first floor with a parking space. When we walked into the room, we were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful pine furniture and the size of the double room. The bathroom area was as big as some rooms we have stayed in. We liked the idea of the shower and toilet in a separate room from the sink. The closet was huge. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the shower had lots of hot water. Too bad about the breakfast which was a sack breakfast, fruit and yogurt was available too. The before COVID breakfast sounded awesome. The other concern was the train track across the street. I only heard two but my family heard three. But it was not highway traffic all night. We will stay again if we need to stay in Las Cruces.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Gerry for the honest and wonderful review. We are happy you decided to stay and your experience was so pleasant that you decided to stay again with us when your travels bring you this way again. We love to serve our guests and your smile in the morning makes our day. Travel safe and see you in the future. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Great hotel"

"Diamond in the Rough"

User 10/12/2020

This is a diamond in the rough. This place was suggested while have a vehicle repaired. We had some large vehicles/trailers and there was ample parking for them all. It has a wonderful pet area. The rooms are very clean and plenty space for the crew (family & pets) we had. The 1st time we were able to enjoy the breakfast. The 2nd time was during a holiday, which they had grab & go bags. All in all, this is definitely our go to place during our travels. The staff gave us a warm greetings for being weary travelers, They were very helpful & knowledgeable to get from the interstate (which was not far off the beaten path). Can't wait to stay again & get to do some touring in Las Cruces, NM.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the wonderful review about your recent stay at The Best Western Mission Inn. We love our furry friends and also love our little grassy oasis for relaxation and unwinding. We always welcome trailers and large vehicles as we do have plenty of parking around our property for all sizes of vehicles and we are happy you found this perfect for your needs. Breakfast has been a challenge with our Governors continual changes on policies for dining in our state, regardless we will continue to try to provide an opportunity to start your day with something so you can get on your way in the morning. We love our staff and they all work hard to make our guests stay memorable. We are happy they took care properly and left a memory in your mind about us in Las Cruces. We are in Hospitality and this is really what it is all about to hear the wonderful feedback from our guests and that when their travels bring them back this way they look forward to the next time they can stay with us at Best Western Mission Inn. We look forward to the day to give you great service once again. Travel safe. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Super clean - A Great Find!"

RJB5253, Tucson, Arizona 29/11/2020

This is a Best Western gem. We stayed 1 night on either end of a driving trip and found it quiet and very clean. Hot water was plentiful and the heat worked well on 20 degree nights. We always count on a good bed and a good night's sleep and we weren't disappointed. The grab and go breakfast worked well for us to stay covid-free and start the day early. The rooms were spacious and the grounds are well-kept and attractive.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for choosing us for your stays while you traveled back and forth on your trip. We really appreciate the feedback you had and glad we were able to accomplish the goal of giving you great service on both occasions of your stay. "Pleasant stay"

User 27/11/2020

The first thing I noticed was how quiet it was, even though the hotel was full of guests the first few days. Bed was comfortable, room was immaculate. We were grateful for the fridge and microwave in the room. I can say I felt well rested and extremely comfortable. Side note: Remember to tip housekeeping.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review

"Worst Hotel Ever"

User 23/11/2020

The shower faucet didn't work. My sister took a shower with super hot water could not control the hot or cold water at all. I took a shower with super cold water. I called the front desk 5 time to no response. In the morning I informed the front desk about our experience. His remarks I will let maintenance know. Breakfast supper cold including the eggs as they were hard like a rock.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your feedback as it helps us to improve our hotel for our guests. We have looked into this issue and it has been resolved. Again your feedback is always valuable and appreciated, We are truly sorry that we fell short in providing you with exceptional service. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Very Nice Property"

User 19/11/2020

This motel-style hotel is nicely decorated with large rooms and easy access to old Mesilla. Our room was very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was simple due to COVID restrictions and was luke warm. That is probably not the norm under different circumstances.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the review after staying at our property. We are happy that your stay went good and will be returning again to stay with us. Unfortunately in these times of COVID-19 things change over night, we hope to have our breakfast up and running at 100% capacity when all this clears. We will be having grab and go bags until Dec. 1st as per Governors order. We hope that you travel safe and we will see you in the future. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Plan B"

Mike H, Phoenix, Arizona 07/11/2020

We were on our way from Albuquerque to Carlsbad but decided that driving in the snow on I 40 was not a good idea. Turned out to be a good decision. We cancelled the room and got this one in Las Cruces. We stayed 2 nights. That was sight unseen so we didn't know what to expect. Turned out to be a good choice. It is a dated property but the place was clean and kept up pretty well. Our only problem was the gap in the door that the weather stripping didn't seal. The staff was great and they were helpful in finding a place to eat supper. The place was nice a quiet another plus. The price was great too. All in all a wonderful surprise when you take a shot in the dark. Wake up to snow and got the grab and go breakfast. It was good and we couldn't complain. We headed off to White Sands NP and that is only an hour away from here.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Mike for taking that chance to give us try for your stay. We love giving our guests a great stay. I will check into the weather stripping and take care of this issue. Your feedback helps us to improve and are happy you had a good stay with us. We hope the rest of your travels are safe and glad you random decisions turned out to be good. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"The Best Best Western I've stayed at!"

CynRe, Eureka Springs, Arkansas 05/11/2020

This is a charming motel with a retro feel, but a very high quality southwestern decor. The lobby was really comfortable, full of large hacienda style furnishings. The breakfast room was like a nice restaurant, with the same spanish colonial furniture. The breakfast was a nicely laid out buffet of warm eggs and meats, biscuits and gravy. it was served by friendly staff. My room was of the same standard, with tasteful southwestern furnishings, thick towels, big TV, and everything I needed for my stay. I will stay here again. I highly recommend it!

"This place is wonderful."

axelmV1336DM, Las Cruces, New Mexico 14/10/2020

I cancelled another hotel because it was filthy and had dead bugs and stains. Came here, and Aaron at the desk not only gave me the cleanest room I have been in on the entire trip, but he also made a very stressful night a good one. The next day, I extended my stay for the week. The manager Surya (and his son Rohit) and I had a wholesome conversation about music and the arts, as well as he told me all about what to do in town and where to go. This was a proper welcome to Las Cruces, and I was very thankful to find this place. Also, the rooms themselves were very clean, cozy, and comfortable. My cat ran under the bed and I had to lift the mattress, and even under the mattress was SPOTLESS. Bravo! I love this place! If I ever need a place in Las Cruces, I won't even think to go elsewhere.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the wonderful review. We love our guests and are happy you had an overall wonderful experience. themarta, Marina del Rey, California 09/10/2020

Not your idea of a good time? Mine, neither. But so clean you could do so, if you wished. We were impressed especially with the immaculate dining room and generous spread of both hot and cold entrees at the breakfast buffet. Everyone friendly and efficient. The property has a great midcentury, classic American, Leave It to Beaver motel feel.

Upon arrival, I saw that this property presented itself in a unique Southwestern motif, both outside and in the rooms. Check in was easy , and the staff very friendly. Throughout my stay everyone there was very helpful. The surrounding area was safe and quiet, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Based on this experience, I wild always come back here whenever I'm in Las Cruces.

barryn338, Westerly, Rhode Island 24/09/2020

Found the staff was professional, helpful and friendly. The facility needs renovations to convert toilets to comfort height and tubs into full walk in showers. Liked the full service breakfast that started at 6 am. for our early start.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Barryn338 for leaving feedback to help us improve. We do have some rooms with roll in or walk in showers. Please call us directly or book on our website a accessible room to have these items available to you in your room. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to serve your lodging needs. "Traveling during COVID"

User 22/08/2020

I have been traveling through Las Cruses for the last 13 years every summer. The staff is always friendly and flexible. The rooms are always clean and I love how big the rooms are. It is always quiet and I feel safe at this property. I love the grounds, especially the pool as well as the roads that hop around in the summertime.

We enjoyed our stay at this property - room was great size and super clean, front desk clerk was wonderful and the price was right. If the a/c had been a bit more powerful everything would have been perfect.

"No mask - Front desk and housekeeping staff"

User 22/07/2020

First, the good: family-friendly feel, beautifully-decorated rooms, and well-located. The bad: Despite the State Order to wear masks, the late-night front desk worker wore NO mask and refused to don one when I brought it to his attention. Upon asking him why he did not wear one, he answered: "The day staff wear masks." By that logic, Covid-19 is a is only diurnal... The housekeeping staff also didn't wear masks at any time I was there. The excuse I received from the daytime front desk worker was that the housekeeping staff "did not speak English" so they could not understand directives to wear masks. Inexplicably, however, the housekeeping staff understood--perfectly--that I was checking out the following day, as told to them by the front desk manager over the phone AS I STOOD IN FRONT OF HIM. Anyway, these are difficult times and I don't expect anyone to be perfect. However, please don't advertise your hotel as "sanitized" in conformance with Best Western's supposed "We Care Clean" directive and then not comply. I relied on this advertising to book a stay in route to see my elderly parents. Moreover, it's slightly embarrassing--and inexcusable--for a hotel employee to refuse to put on a facemask and then tell you that night staff don't don masks...during a global pandemic. You can tell the owners and their two children are good, caring people; that's why I hesitated to even write this. However, I think people should know what they're getting themselves into, especially if they're being cautious.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the review and giving a honest assessment of your stay. I am disappointed that you had to find that our staff did not follow the mask rules. I know that it can be inconvenient and uncomfortable sometimes but during this time it is necessary. I have again instructed our staff that everyone is required to wear a mask in presence of guests. We care about your safety and the safety of our staff and will make sure that everyone is following the mask requirement. We are still doing extra cleaning and sanitizing in our rooms and lobby, also including UV light and ozone. I hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future when your travels bring you this way. We value our guests feedback as it helps us to improve where we fell short. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Family Owned"

4taxij, Houston, Texas 14/07/2020

More than 15 years ago while my daughter lived in L.A. and me in Houston, we decided to meet half way for a weekend of food, sun and thrifting. We settled on this place because of the outdoor pool and they allowed dogs. When my husband and I decided to visit White Sands National Park we looked for a place with an outdoor pool. I asked my husband to find "that" hotel. As we pulled in he asked me if this was the place-- It was indeed! Success. Our first night there, a strong wind knocked out the electricity to one wing of the hotel. The staff put us in another room, not an easy thing with the storm going on around us. After it passed, I was able to chat with the new owners for several minutes in courtyard. The hotel is family owned, dogs welcome with a nice patch of grass, complete with disposal bags. There is a lovely pool on the property with grown trees and lounge chairs conducive to families and groups. I'm a huge fan of the personal touch and this place has to the personal touch. The new owners took over two weeks before the corona virus shutdown. They still put together a great "grab & go" breakfast with coffee, tea and juices. A great value with high marks for original touches. The entire staff was great from Aaron to housekeeping, front desk, and especially the owners. We had a most enjoyable stay and will gladly stay again.

Surya and Andrea Das, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
We had a great time talking with you during your visit. We enjoyed hearing about your previous stay and the story how you found this hotel after so many years. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with all the stormy, windy weather and the power outage. We appreciate you staying to once again form a memory. We look forward to seeing you again in the future when your travels bring you this way again. This is what we love, guests staying and returning and their experience is just as good or better than the last time. Have safe travels and see you in the future. "Older, Historic Location, and GREAT!"

Elizabeth Z, Raleigh, North Carolina 11/07/2020

It was a hot day, and we had a comfy king size room with good A/C. It was quiet and clean, had a fridge, microwave, comfy bed, and great hot water pressure! Internet worked great! Front desk staff, Jewel, was very caring and helpful! Grab and Go breakfast options were 3 choices, already bagged and labeled at a table indicating options -- very helpful!

"Unique experience"

kurthegr8, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 26/05/2020

The BW Mission Inn is very unique. Not your typical cookie-cutter place. The lobby and the suite we stayed in were very south west. The grounds were well kept and there were cherry trees scattered around. The rates were amazing.

Surya and Andre... D, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Kurthegr8 for taking time for the great review. I think you may have bubbled in the wrong rating as the review does not reflect the rating. "Nice stay druring the Covid19 Crisis"

lance997, Towson, MD, United States 21/05/2020

Front desk staff were friendly and competent. Room was large clean and comfortable. Breakfast grab n go bag was very good. Highly recommend the hotel if you're in Las Cruces. It's old but has been refurbished nicely. Pool area was closed but looked nice.

"Beautiful and clean"

User 16/05/2020

We needed an Inn close to the Nissan dealership and picked the BW Mission Inn solely on location - and SO GLAD we did! The best customer service - and wish we can remember the afternoon front desk clerk who helped my husband with all of his questions... and Susana in the morning who gave us her name but I can't remember for the life of me!! The rooms were beautiful and clean with exposed beams and rustic Mexican wood furniture and nicely appointed. It felt more like a cozy Mom and Pop Inn. We'd happily stay again!

"COVID-19 pandemic road trip home"

285scotte, Discovery Bay, United States 30/03/2020

This was another stop on way home. The room decor was dated but clean, Parking was good and location off the highway made it easy to get to. Breakfast was grab and go due to COVID-19 pandemic but they did have ready coffee available with all the stuff to make a good cup.

Surya and Andre... D, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank your honest feedback and giving us a chance to give you a clean place to stay during this COVID-19. We are taking extra precautions for your safety while staying with us. We are currently doing grab and go as a precautionary step for our guests. After this all passes we will be having our regular breakfast selections. "Unassuming location"

User 27/03/2020

Perfect place for our needs. Rooms are very spacious and clean. There is a train across the road but did not interfere with our rest. Staff was amazing to accommodate our requests, very knowledgeable, and friendly. During the time of sequestering due to covid-19 a grab and go breakfast was provided to allow for social distancing.

"Clean and well-located"

nff101743, Jacksonville, Florida 26/03/2020

An older property, but clean and well kept. Good Wifi. Though some said noisy, we had no noise problems. About equidistant from downtown Las Cruces and Mesilla. Free breakfast buffet would have been fine, but we were there at the beginning of the Coronavirus scare, so breakfast was abbreviated, though adequate.

"Refreshing change from cookie-cutter new hotels "

C1332KRjohnm, Chicago, Illinois 19/03/2020

Yes, this is an older motel but that's a good thing! It has tons of character and charm and heartens back to days when each hotel was local and had its own personality and wasn't built off of then same blueprint as the last 500 hotels some corporation has built. The rooms are huge and have cool vintage southwestern details like beamed ceilings and tile work, Furniture was nicely updated but still had vintage charm. My room was immaculately clean. Staff was awesome both at the front desk and at breakfast. Yes, the train tracks are across the road, but for me the sound of train whistles only added to the place feeling authentic, much more then the sound of 18 wheelers when you're at some sterile motel next to interstate. (HINT: if you are going to complain about noise, it's easy enough to check out the location of a hotel BEFORE you book).

Surya and Andre... D, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the very positive review and the feedback regarding how our hotel about that it has tons of character. We love the feel of our hotel and the peaceful setting and grassy courtyard and are glad you also enjoy many of the characteristics that made us fall in love with this hotel when we bought it. We have many people that love our location. You can request a room to the back if you are over sensitive to noise. We love our guests and go out of our way to make your stay great, you should wake up refreshed and ready for the day, with a smile. :-) We value all feedback positive and negative that can help with our guest experience. For all guests information we will continue to offer a clean and sanitized rooms, lobby and breakfast areas. We are currently offering grab bags for breakfast during the Corona Virus outbreak. We look forward to having you stay with us in the future when your travels bring you back to the Las Cruces area. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Clean but noisy"

amcruz55, San Antonio, Texas 15/03/2020

This hotel would be fine except that the train runs directly behind it and the horn blows several times at 3 am! Not a restful night! Maybe if the trains were banned from blowing their horns late at night, it would help.

Surya and Andre... D, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the honest review, the trains are required to blow the horns if there is a car in the intersection. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Please request a room at the back of the property as this should help. Again sorry for any inconvenience. Travel safe and have a wonderful day. Sincerely, Andrea Das Owner

allanl850, San Antonio, Texas 08/03/2020

This is one of the Chain's older hotels, and it cries out for renovation. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but the room lacks the convenience of logical light switch placement as well as bedside phone charging facilities. That is a 21st Century amenity that is needed. Everybody has a cell phone nowadays. The location is unfortunate too, although not BW's fault. The hotel is only a stone's throw away from the UP line that runs east-west through town. We were wakened by the freight's blaring horn as it passed through. It sounded like a cannon had gone off.

Surya and Andre... D, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Allan for taking the time to write a review for our property. We strive to give our guests a room that is clean and comfortable. Our rooms have been recently renovated with theme of the location and we have many guests who love our decor. All our rooms have a power supply on the lamp by the bedside. If was missing we will be on top of it to make sure it is in the room. This is why feedback is so important so we can make sure we make it right. Always call the front desk to find out if a item is available to make your stay right. This is why we are here to give service and our guest comes first. We hope you have safe travels where ever they may lead and hope in the future you may consider us again for your lodging needs. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Hidden gem"

Fredrickson, Ka... F, Sioux Falls, United States 06/03/2020

This hotel is a little bit away from the main highways but is a gem. It is quiet and the rooms are clean and big. The beds are comfortable with a small refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom floors are warm on the bare feet.

"Train Noise all night"

drkendell, Las Vegas, Nevada 03/03/2020

Train tracks across the street and noise all night long with 5 trains during our stay. whistle warnings for 2 crossings near the motel. Not the place to stay if you want a good night sleep! Breakfast was lower quality as far as selection compared to equal cost of stay at other Best Western facilities.

missioninnlc, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Dr. Kendell for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your stay. We understand your concerns, some are light sleepers and hear the train. We can suggest to request back room to help in that situation. Most do not hear the trains because of the ac/heater on. As far as the breakfast sorry you felt we did not have adequate selection for the breakfast, we are always open to your suggestions that we may take into consideration to add to the offerings. Thank you for giving us the chance to serve you, we hope you travel safe and will possibly consider giving us a chance again in the future to serve you. Sincerely, Andrea and Surya Das Owners

"Such A Nice Place "

516dianes, Hayward, Wisconsin 01/03/2020

Arrived early and Aaron at the front desk couldn't have been more welcoming. Checked to see if a room was ready and it was. Then he provided me with recommendations for hiking and for pet friendly restaurants in the area. Room was exceedingly clean, well appointed and well laid out. Breakfast is at the attached restaurant which appears only to be open now for hotel patrons. All in all, a very nice spot.

"Enjoyable Stay"

anntd, Searcy, Arkansas 01/03/2020

Comfortable stay. Friendly, helpful front desk employees. Room a bit musty when we entered but turning on the AC helped dissipate the odor. Huge and very comfortable king bed with great pillow choices. Except where the AC was blowing, the large tile floor in vanity area was warm to bare feet. Sink vanity area is separate from toilet and tub. I prefer that. Breakfast had eggs, ham, gravy and biscuits as well as the usual waffles, small yogurt and cold cereal choices. I had to ask for a regular oatmeal packet but enjoyed the slivered almonds, raisins and honey as add-ins. Would have liked English muffins as a bread choice. Internet worked fine and seemed secure. A nice, rustic hotel with good value. We would stay here again.

"Wonderful experience"

DavidC1000, Portland, Oregon 29/02/2020

Built in a real old mission. Rooms decorated in mission style with beamed ceilings and rustic mission ceilings. Very large room. Very clean. Staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. Great location and great value.

"Lovely Property"

User 26/02/2020

Traveled alone with my pet from Az to IL for the first time. This is an older motel that has been very nicely remodeled. It is very convenient to load/unload your car as parking is right outside your door. Also very convenient courtyard pet area that is well lit. The front desk personnel are very knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was hot, fresh and very nice. A very pleasant stay, and would definitely stay again when in the area.

"Back Again After 5 Years"

Wanderingwindsorite, Windsor, Canada 26/02/2020

We stayed here over 5 years ago, and this is still an outstanding establishment! Jules at the front desk was extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. She addressed our concerns and looked after us like a first class BW employee. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. This is our place to stay in the Las Cruces/El Paso area.

"Last minute getaway"

punky1064, Albuquerque, New Mexico 21/02/2020

Enjoyed a weekend getaway from the cold. Convenient location. Close to train tracks so heard the train at night and early morning but didn't ruining our getaway. Still slept great Restaurants aren't too far away but not walking distance

"Great staff"

trippychick2009, Redondo Beach, California 19/02/2020

We had a large comfortable room nicely decorated in southwestern fashion. The king bed was very comfortable. As most Best Westerns, there is a good hot breakfast but this one has a waitress that checks on you and fills up your coffee cup. There are railroad tracks across the road so be forewarned about the trains blasting their horns at any hour of the night. Being on the ground floor there was noise from the people above us. Sounds like they wore cowboy boots. Thankfully I wear ear plugs when I travel.

"Very Nice Motel"

CharlesM179, California 18/02/2020

We liked the size of the room and the appliances. Beds were firm. We booked a king and found that the only ones were on the second floor. No elevator and luggage carts are available on the property. We had to change to a room with two queens. Their windows are not thermal paned glass and have a need to be cleaned. The property is next to a main rail line, you will find the train may wake you up with either vibration , noise and or the train whistle at every crossing. The free breakfasts are decent with ample tables available for their guests to eat at.

"Clean room, friendly staff."

User 16/02/2020

Our stay was very comfortable. Breakfast started early, even though it was the weekend making it easy to get to our trade show where we were set up in a timely manner. Check in and out was easy and efficient.

HermanTheGerman-inTX, Dallas 10/02/2020

Friendly phone interaction with Juls for the reservation and friendly reception by Joseph upon arrival. As requested, I received a king room upstairs. It was spacious with large dresser, desk and chair, fridge with freezer shelf, microwave, a comfy chair with ottoman. Large clean bath, everything with contemporary/southwestern design. Freight trains are moving along close by and are tooting their horns. A nice, full breakfast was displayed on a buffet in the cafe/restaurant with nice southwestern decor. A friendly waitress served coffee. I'll be back!

"Always Comfortable!"

User 09/02/2020

We booked this hotel way before we left home so we would be sure to have a room we like! This place was no exception from the Best Western Brand. The room was spacious, clean, plenty of towels and wash cloths. All the amenities for a short overnight stay or a long vacation stay. The amazing welcoming prior to our visit with early check in and questions answered. You will not find that in other hotel chains! We felt important. Our room was very clean and odor free. We asked for a pet friendly room. The center court yard was close enough to every room for dog exercise area. The parking is a little tight but not a big distraction. There are two levels and we requested a lower level without stairs and we were very happy with the room. The bed a king, was really comfortable. This trip proved a little bit different because one of our pups developed an allergy but we found a very friendly vet service that saw us right away. The problem we ran into was not the Best Western, it was the city of Law Cruces! The one way streets, the construction everywhere, for a 4 mile drive to the vet's office took us 30 minutes! We sure enjoyed the hot breakfast, sausage, scrambled eggs with veggies, sausage gravy and hot biscuits, really good orange juice and coffee served in a real dining room with a wonderful hostess! You know, the friendly, professional staff is what makes the biggest difference! We have decided to stay at Best Western exclusively just because of our experience from the last two stays!

"Friendly Staff"

while moving father in law to texas (has dementia) from san diego decided to stay at this location. hotel is clean with good parking. during breakfast father in law had a spill at coffee station before i could get there. Tracy jumped in and cleaned mess. never a cross word or foul look. we felt like family.

"Classic motel"

fehlow, LA 06/02/2020

This was the second time for us at this motel. It's our choice for comfort and value. It is a very well maintained older property with features you don't find in more modern motels. The breakfast room is especially nice although the breakfast is just fair. There is train noise at night so being as far from the tracks as possible is essential. Desk staff and management are very helpful. The rooms are large and well equipped.

"Customer service gets a WOW!"

KitCat2007, San Antonio, TX 05/02/2020

This was a late night stop for us...Called to make reservations and the desk clerk was super friendly and helpful. We got there late and she was so warm and bubbly. The room was the cleanest I've ever seen and the bed was really comfortable. It looked like they may have recently renovated. We have a small dog and they have a nice grassy area to walk dogs. The next morning the day desk clerk was also really friendly! We had a really delicious breakfast...Lots of hot and cold things to choose from. They had a lady working the breakfast room, talking to people, keeping the buffet tables really clean. She took such good care of everything that we did something we've never done before in a hotel breakfast grab n go area...We tipped her! I mean, she just treated it like it was her hotel and that we were all coming to her dining room. I did see train tracks and got concerned, but it was really quiet..Not sure if a train went by, but we didn't hear anything! This hotel was just exceptional in so many ways and so unexpected. Thank you for a refreshing stop!

"Best Western Las Cruces"

Marlana C, Albuquerque 03/02/2020

Looked like it had been recently upgraded/remodeled and an excellent job was done. Staff were extremely friendly & professional. Room was really clean! I can usually find imperfections....not here! Above and beyond! Well done Best Western!

"Great Value"

patrick c, Tracy, California 01/02/2020

Had everything I look for in a good motel when on a long road trip. Easy to get to location from I-10, safe, clean location, clean room, comfortable bed, refrig in room. Mission style decor was a plus too. Great staff. Great breakfast. Fast check-in and out ! I will be back.

"A classic, little hotel, great staff, great price and great rooms!"

Judah H, Columbus, Ohio 26/01/2020

If you want a hotel that feels new, while retaining a historic feel, offers great prices, free, extensive breakfast and great rooms, this place is for you! :) The staff is wonderful, the room was incredibly clean and felt newly renovated and the pricepoint (especially for us since my dad and I stayed over a week) was impossible to beat!

"Nice BW in Las Cruces"

Anne D, Pennsylvania 24/01/2020

I understand there used to be a mission on this site and the buildings certainly look like it. The lobby was nice and bright and the motel style rooms were very spacious and tastefully furnished. The hotel is across the street from the railway lines but noise was not an issue. The Mesilla is just over a mile away so we headed over there to Double Eagle for a nice dinner. Has a comfortable night's sleep then headed over to the reception area for breakfast. A god selection but some healthier options would have been welcome. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Clean & comfortable"

phlinda, Tigard, Oregon 23/01/2020

My daughter & I stayed as I helped her move from Texas to Arizona. It was a great price for a room that was clean & comfortable! We loved getting breakfast in without an extra stop! Super friendly & helpful staff!

"Highway motel recently remodeled"

RetiredEngTeacher, El Dorado Springs, MO 14/01/2020

Recently remodeled motel. Grounds were nice with large cactus, pool, tables and chairs for sitting outside. The room had wood beams across the ceiling, nice southwest artwork, tiled mirror. Bathroom had been updated with nice wall and floor tile. Breakfast was served in a large southwest decorated room. Buffet had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt with various toppings, waffle maker.

"Wonderful Property and Staff!"

AKNoham, Anchorage 09/01/2020

I try to book Best Western properties as they are usually consistent. This property is no different. Clean, charming decor and architecture which is typical mission style. Like stepping back in time. Large rooms, comfortable beds, nice linens and modern, appearing to have been refreshed in the last year. The front desk staff showed good hospitality skills. The breakfast attendant Tracy went above and beyond, she was amazing. The location has a bit to be desired as there is no type of service adjacent and anything you want you have to drive to; albeit not far. Overall you can't go wrong with this motel and considering the price it's a phenomenal deal.

"Large comfortable clean rooms. Great Breakfast!"

User 07/01/2020

Not corporate sterile. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was a treat with biscuits, gravy, sausages and real eggs with chorizo (Yay!) in addition to the usual Best Western fare. Front desk very helpful to two tired travelers.

"Out dated"

ybaca56, Albuquerque, New Mexico 07/01/2020

Room had dog food on floor and is out dated. Breakfast was poor needs more options and better tasting food. Not enough parking. Pool open but not heated not hot tub. In morning you can hear everyone's bags rolling by. Rooms are dark.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi Ms ybaca56, I sincerely apologize for your experience with us. I'll make a point to get with my staff to address the concerns you have and make sure they're corrected. Unfortunately I can't do too much about parking, when the hotel is full our guests do have to park by the lobby. As you can see from our other reviews, my staff generally do an excellent job of taking care of our guests and we'll continue to improve with help from our guest reviews. Thank you again for taking the time to review your stay with us and I hope you'll give us another chance to provide you with a superior experience.

"Cleanest room ever"

Pepsigirl326, Texas 07/01/2020

We were skeptical to stay here because we had stayed at Best Western in Blythe. The one in Blythe was filthy. Not dirty, FILTHY. I read the reviews for this one and we gave it a shot. Boy, was that the right thing to do. It started with the man who took our reservation on the 6th of Jan. Very nice and informative. The room. Let's get to the room. I am a cootiephob. This room? I almost didn't wipe it down with my antibacterial wipes. But like I said, I'm a cootiephob. I tried to find dirt because of the night before but I found nothing. NOTHING!!! Not so much as a dog hair. We have dogs. I leave the rooms cleaner than when we enter them. Well, really not sure this time. Huge thank you to those wonderful housekeepers. I left them a tip and I wish I had left more. Also, thank you to the lady this morning Jan. 7th. Super sweet. We have found our new stopping point when we travel home. p.s. you'll notice the green blanket on the bed. We do that to help keep the hair and dirt from the beds. I'm sure the housekeepers appreciate it.

"Traveling to Arizona"

We have been booking all our stays with Best Western. The rooms are clean and updated. Prices are very reasonable. The free breakfast is always a great addition. We will definitely keep staying with BW.

"Loved this Hotel"

530IngyB, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 21/11/2019

Stayed here one night during our road trip through New Mexico. We had a lovely room with a king bed, large screen tv, internet, fridge and microwave. The room was large and went front to back. We watched the sun go down during the evening and rise over the mountains in the morning. It's an older hotel, remodeled with lots of character. The breakfast room was very large and the service was attentive. Would definitely recommend it.

"Great Customer Service"

vchap06, Veguita, New Mexico 17/11/2019

Front desk was amazing offering to swtich us to a room on the bottom floor, since we had kids. Breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. Room smelled and looked clean as soon as we walked in. All of the staff the we encountered were friendly!

"Excellent service and a quiet and clean place to stay"

MiddleMillie, Washougal 11/11/2019

While this is an older Best Western, it is very well taken care of and the service was excellent! Rooms were clean and well cared for. We asked for a room at the back since it was on a fairly busy street. We didn't realize that there was a train track across from the motel, but the rooms were so well insulated we could not hear it at all. The waitress in the breakfast room was excellent! We would definitely stay here in the future when we pass thru Las Cruces.

"Family Visit"

12Juan2014, Willard, Missouri, United States 31/10/2019

The Best Western Mission Inn Las Cruces was an excellent property that provided excellent service, delicious breakfast and large, clean and comfortable rooms. Enjoyed the stay and look forward to staying there again.

"A Jewel"

User 30/10/2019

Decor Santa Fe. Very clean spacious rooms. Whole Inn was airy, clean, and welcoming. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast room staffer Edith offered coffee refills. Susana, Front Desk, was great on directions, sightseeing tips and cheerful.

"Excellent value!"

Carrie M, Reading, Pennsylvania 24/10/2019

I'm still in shock that I paid $60 a night for one of the largest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in! The Best Western Mission Inn is a lovely property with beautiful mission-style rooms. I loved the decor and the "expose beam" look of the ceiling. The free breakfast was your typical Best Western selection, but it is served in a similarly lovely southwest mission-style dining area. There is also very convenient, free parking right in front of all the rooms. For this price and the quality of the rooms, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Las Cruces!

"Large rooms, friendly service and nice breakfast"

mcbunch, Albuquerque, New Mexico 21/10/2019

Room and grounds were well taken cared of and the room was spacious and clean. TV was a little small for the room. The staff was friendly, especially the breakfast personnel. Breakfast was good and had decent choices.

"Gem in the Desert"

ecs007, Phoenix, Arizona 14/10/2019

The staff and hotel were amazing. We received the utmost respect from check-in to checkout. The breakfast was as good as any restaurant. The mission style decor was beautiful. The only issue is their mattresses are too firm.

"A real Southwest "rustic" flavor"

donnarv2017, Sierra Vista, Arizona 14/10/2019

5 weeks on the road and the BW Mission Inn offers us the most spacious room yet. Clean, no sign of pets being here, and with our poodle we were given this room. The decor, the tiled mirror, the rustico furniture, the over-sized bathroom, the ceiling beams, even the door is rustico. Most of the rooms are set back from the street and behind a large row of trees/shrubs, making it quite quiet. The pool blends in with the shrubbery. Most motels have already closed down the pool for the season, but not here. At this very moment, two men are cleaning it The rooms surround a large grassy area in the center, which offers tables and chairs for enjoying the good weather and a clean, very clean grassy area for the pets. Even supplies are provided and a receptacle for our pet clean-up. The closet area includes an iron and ironing board. With the friendly staff's help, we have changed our one-night stay to three. It's very easy to to get to the motel, whichever direction you're coming from. And, it's a short, easy drive to all the restaurants in Mesilla. Everything about the Mission Inn invites one to stay or come back. We'll do both!

"Absolutely greatest service!!"

User 10/10/2019

The hotel is well kept in a nice southwest theme. Clean room, microwave, fridge, coffee pot, hot breakfast with big dining room. Like the decor of the whole property, great price too. Front desk lady Jules is super sweet, very thoughtful. Take good care of our needs. We couldn't be happier. On a trip to ballon fiesta, Carlsbad and white Sands. So far best service among other hotels. Super cozy. 10 stars!!!!

"Real gem at BW"

User 09/10/2019

This is a great little historic hotel that has kept up with the times. Probably the best place in Las Cruces. Clean and quiet even though it is near the tracks with a train occasionally, but not often, heard. Good breakfast included.

"Reasonable price, clean room, helpful staff"

Calvin W, Fort Worth, Texas 30/09/2019

We asked for a dog friendly place to stay and this was a good choice. Clean rooms and a friendly staff willing to point us in the direction of a perfect restaurant. Easy to find location. We would stay here again.

"Comfortable Beds!!"

Cheryl M, Phoenix, Arizona 29/09/2019

The beds were very comfortable and spacious rooms. Pet area was clean and close to all rooms. The breakfast was good, fresh and continually monitored for needs. Right off the freeway, so it was easy to access.

"Best Western Las Cruces"

curtbrownlow, San Carlos, Mexico 27/09/2019

Overall we had a great stay at this BW hotel. We came into town with out reservations. The front desk was very helpful getting us checked in and answered our questions. Only thing I found irritating was the room AC unit. It was loud and probably undersized for the space it had to cool. I would stay here again.

"Love this little hotel"

Lisa H, Albuquerque, New Mexico 23/09/2019

This is a happy, quiet, safe place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the other guests are really nice in my experience. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the outside area is truly pleasant. I've stayed here a lot and I've always had a good experience.

"Decent Night Stay"

SheriA94, Mesa, Arizona 23/09/2019

Decent Night Stay, very large hotel rooms. This is our second stay here passing through. Great price for a safe place to spend the night. Quick driving distance to anywhere you need to go while visiting.

"Very very nice"

cmcgowan2019, Brighton, Colorado 23/09/2019

The overall experience at this hotel was great. The room size was wonderful everything was clean. The grounds were well maintained, very good breakfast. Cleaning staff were all very nice and professional Will stay here again

"Best stay ever!!"

Sandy S, Fairbanks, Alaska 17/09/2019

Being our 4th time to stay here at Mission Inn, we knew what to except. Every area is superbly clean. All staff are extremely helpful & friendly. Beds are comfy and rooms are big & roomy. Great breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage & gravy/biscuits plus all the usual fare. Pool is clean & inviting. Outdoor tables to relax & eat plus charcoal grill. It is an older hotel but do not let that deceive you. Truly beautiful & comfortable rooms.

"Pleasant old style hotel"

jhsnm, San Lorenzo, New Mexico 10/09/2019

Stayed two nights with son and his family. Both days the breakfast staff were very good and courteous. We actually inspected the hotel (along with other prospects) the week prior to our stay. The Front Desk clerks were extremely helpful in this regard. Pool was great for a 3 yr old and there is a shady, grassy picnic area. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. Mattresses are firm. And be prepared for nightly trains going by.

"Older but still great!"

jhauss8, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 02/09/2019

Went for a tournament. The lobby and worth smelt “a little old” - musty. Everything felt really clean though. Staff was supper kind and proactive. I would stay again without hesitation! The bed was a little hard for my liking!

"Great stay"

MJ H, Pine Grove, California 26/08/2019

We try to use Best Western as a primary choice. Never disappointed. Rooms always comfy and clean. Staff very caring about your stay. Breakfast always fresh with excellent choices. Beds very comfortable.

"Family Trip"

User 25/08/2019

We always stay at this Best Western when we visit La s Cruces. Although a bit dated i love the design and comfort of this Best Western. It's always clean, it's quite affordable and provides us easy access to the places we visit

"Mission Best Western - Very Nice"

User 15/08/2019

After a bit of difficulty finding this hotel, upon arrival I found a wonderful mission style hotel with a big room, helpful staff, good breakfast, cute lobby and a very welcoming swimming pool on a hot summer night.

"Overnight Stay"

Lumagabdad, San Angelo, Texas 10/08/2019

After a 12 hour drive from California, this was a fantastic place to stop. The front personnel were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating! The room was a bit dated but well maintained. The cost was very reasonable.

"You'll wanna stay"

kcchauffeur, Liberty, Missouri 10/08/2019

Place is super clean, inviting, and comfortable. I am glad I stayed and will be back soon. It has a pool, trees, nice secured pavers parking lot. I was up and gone before breakfast but they have a nice looking breakfast area.

"Very Quiet & Peaceful Hotel"

William M, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom 01/08/2019

This is a very nice hotel, it is very peaceful & quiet, it is very easy to find being on the main street. There is plenty of parking, for Cars, RV's and Trucks. We received a really nice welcome from the 2 Ladies on the front desk, they wanted to know where we were from and if we were planning to explore the area, in which case, did we need any maps printed out or information about what to see and where to go and how to get there, the ladies were really helpful. The Best Western Welcome is always good, these ladies are a good example of how good it can be, the welcomes we receive from Best Western Hotels seem to get better every year. The room was very clean, the bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The A/C was running when we got to our room, so that was nice and cool. The large TV had a good selection of channels, HBO, ESPN, FOX, CNN Etc. After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed a first-class breakfast, there was plenty of choice:- Various types of Bread & Cereals, Freshly Cooked Sausage, Hot Eggs (Omelet style and hard boiled), Yoghurts, Fruit Juice, Coffee, Muffins, and a good selection of fresh fruit. All the hot items were freshly cooked and there was a good supply of all of the food items available. This hotel would make a good base for exploring the area, there is a lot to see and do, not only in Las Cruces but also in the surrounding area. Approximately 70% of the historic part of Las Cruces was destroyed in the 1970's by the Urban Renewal Movement, but in 2002 the people of Las Cruces came together to reverse the process & restore Las Cruces to its former glory. There are several Art Galleries & the Farmers & Craft Market is well worth a visit. The Organ Mountains have a lot of interesting and historic sites. There is over 22 Miles of the Original Butterfield Stage Trail, Billy The Kid used these mountains to hide away, and you can visit “Billy The Kids, Lookout Rock”, Geronimo the Chiricahua Apache Leader hid here, look for his cave. The US Air Force used part of these mountains for target practice in WWII, The Apollo Astronauts trained here and there are over 240 Archeological & Petroglyph sites. Spaceport America is only 45 miles North of Las Cruces. The New Mexico Museum of Space History, The Museum of Nature and Science & The White Sands Missile Range are all within easy reach. The Rio Grande, Old Messila Village, Hiking, Horseback Riding & Birding Watching are all activities that can easily be done using this hotel as a base. My Wife & I had a great stay here, we definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to the next visit.

"Nicely remodeled Mission style hotel."

Jim M, Tucson 31/07/2019

Obviously an old hotel that has been very tastefully updated with rustic furniture. Large clean rooms. A little tricky to find from the Interstate but worth it. Very reasonable rates. Staff was ultra-courteous. Wonderful full breakfast with service. AAA

"Amazingly Fabulous!"

User 23/07/2019

July 13,2019 We called an hour ahead and booked 2 rooms before we got there.. The night receptionist was so friendly and welcoming. She was training and had a positive attitude in teaching her new things. She was smart and funny, We felt right at home, she gave us pool towels and extra bath towels. We got to the rooms and they smelled clean and looked great! We swam for a bit what a refreshing end to our night, considering we had a hot travel day. The next morning the day receptionist people were happy and invited us to breakfast, which by the way was FANTASTIC!!!! The Server lady was so friendly and tended to us very well! :-) Overall, we were so impressed that we hope to stay here every year we travel this way. Thank you with all our hearts, The Garcia family

"Truly a GREAT old-school stay"

rtschumacher28, Lake Charles, Louisiana 21/07/2019

Super clean, great rooms, and with a staff that truly cares about their guests and their hotel. It has old-school Route 66 charm, and is obvious that the owners have done their best to make it feel like you are in a special place...and you really are. My family and I LOVED it. Also, the breakfast was wonderful too!

"Las cruces bw"

07ORTIZ01, Deming, New Mexico 16/07/2019

Beds were really hard . It was very difficult to sleep in that room. I didn't have any breakfast. I checked in late and checked out real early. The light switch in room as soon you walk in didn't work.

"Surprising gem"

lmais, Austin, Texas 13/07/2019

The layout of the property reminded me of 1960's era motels with great updates. The entire property has been redone although you may find reminders of its previous self. The grounds were well maintained and I felt safe staying there alone as a single woman. The parking was well lit and in the morning, you see a beautiful shine to the place. I was impressed to see various workmen maintaining the pool, the ice machines, etc. The staff were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast buffet was well staffed and the eggs and meat selections were freshly made. A server was highly present to make sure all offerings were available and kept up and the tables were cleaned and ready for more guests. As many reviewers mentioned, there are railroad tracks directly across the street and a couple of trains came by in the evening but they weren't a bother to my light sleeping ways. If i'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here again.

"Loved walking into a cool room"

User 10/07/2019

We got there late Friday and we were tired of our road trip. We walked into a nice and cool room. Rooms were nice and clean. The nest morning we went to have their free breakfast and we were greeted by a nice lady taking care of the breakfast bar. Everything was nicely stocked and clean.

"Historic hotel in Las Cruces"

Mark A, San Antonio, United States 02/07/2019

Very clean and spacious rooms. Older hotel from the 1960's but everything is up to date. Was a mission converted to a hotel. Great staff and breakfast. Internet was spotty in our room, but not a big concern. Recommended.

"Lovely facility"

RetiredTravelBuff, Clifton, Texas 26/06/2019

Perfectly lovely facility with a friendly staff. The pool was great! Plus the grounds had a park like enclosure with fountain, bbq pit, and picnic tables. The rooms were very large and well appointed. We requested a roll away bed & it was set up and waiting for us when we arrived. The ac was struggling a bit to keep the big room cool in the 100+ temperatures, but it didn't take away from our stay. The only reason we would not stay here again, is the train track across the street. We were jarred awake twice by the very very loud train whistle at midnight and again at 4:30am. We managed to get the kids back to sleep after the midnight whistle. But after the 4:30am toot, they were wide awake......not very restful for the adults. If you can ignore the train, you'll love this place.

"Spacious Rooms"

User 24/06/2019

Great facilities and very spacious rooms. The staff was freindly and breakfast was hot. All accommodations were great and up to par relative to the price. I would reccomend this place and stay here again.

"A hidden jewell"

JAMES Y, EDGEWOOD 17/06/2019

A very clean and updated retro motor motel. Clean and large rooms, updated furnishings and decor. And everything worked. The large grassy and shaded outdoor space was inviting in the evenings, and the grounds are immaculate. No trash and perfect landscaping care. The breakfast room is far better than most school cafeteria style areas that most hotels feature: more like restaurant dining. The location is across the street from the railroad, but there aren't that many trains. We will stay here again for sure.

"Spacious Rooms"

Leslie R, Washington DC, District of Columbia 15/06/2019

Enjoyable stay in a very spacious room with rustic decor! Very clean and all amenities were functioning. Pleasant and professional staff - from Cynthia who checked me in and Aaron who checked me out. I appreciated that when I inquired about local restaurants that delivered, Cynthia had a print out with names and phone numbers for me to choose from. Aaron was very accommodating when I departed before the official breakfast hours, in getting me set up with a snack for the road and hot coffee. I would definitely stay here again!

"Good place to stay"

User 10/06/2019

Large, clean rooms, great towels and bed linen. Breakfast buffet is well stocked and kept fresh. All the staff I dealt with were pleasant and helpful. I stayed here once before with equally good experience. Will definitely return

"On our way to Red River"

Joeanderica, Cypress, Texas 09/06/2019

We stayed at the Mission Inn on our way to Red River. It was a nice, clean property, not too far from local eating establishments, and the young lady that greeted us was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great value, too!

Helen L, Lubbock 06/06/2019

This has become "our place to stay" when we are in Las Cruces. The rooms are extremely affordable, they are spacious, nicely decorated and courtyard and pool are immaculate. The free breakfast is yummy and the staff is wonderful.

"Really nice stay."

Erika A, Deming, New Mexico 04/06/2019

Staff was very friendly at night and for breakfast and it was a very relaxing stay. We love to stay there when we visit family in Las Cruces. I love the decor of the rooms and the lobby and breakfast area is very spacious. Next time we stay we plan on using the pool. Thanks again for a nice stay.

"Half-way point"

Christopher B, Friendswwod, United States 03/06/2019

This is our go to hotel when we travel from Houston to LA. This just past the half-way point amd a nice property. Breakfast is always included at Best Western properties which is good for our large family. Value is a 10.

"Great Stay"

Exceptionally clean grounds and room. Very friendly staff. Very please with the size of the room. The furniture is a little outdated BUT the dresser was huge and offered more drawer space than a luxury hotel with newer furniture. We will stay at this Best Western again if in the area and now will try other BW locations

"You get what you pay for, at best?"

Navigate11072152720, Las Vegas, Nevada 27/05/2019

I understand this is not a luxury hotel and is for budget conscious travelers for whatever the reason. However, when you have items in the room that don't function properly or work, it is best not to have them (i.e., accessory plugs, television, air conditioning, etc.). One item at this hotel was particularly atrocious, and that was the food, which literally made me ill later in the day.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi Navigate, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. As I mentioned in your other review, we have received no complaints from other customers who stayed both before and after in the same guest room, nor during breakfast. You didn't mention any of the problems you experienced to my staff and I certainly wish you would have. I'm confident we wouldn't have been able to alleviate any problems you did have. I did make sure to check the room myself and did not encounter any of the problems you mentioned. As you can see from our other reviews, your experience is by far and away an anomaly. I do hope you choose to stay with us again and I certainly would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further, to better understand what problems you specifically experienced. Thank you.

"charming value!"

User 21/05/2019

cute charming hotel with a nice courtyard and big rooms. easy highway access and very friendly staff. also close to the center of town for dining. i always trust the best western name to represent a nice, clean, friendly hotel with character!

"overflowing with family"

deborahp470, Las Cruces, New Mexico 03/05/2019

I Had all my children and grandchildren home for a reunion and needed extra room so I booked rooms at the Best Western Mission. We utilized one of the handicap assesible rooms for my aunt and then 4 other rooms for family. It was a very nice experience and will be utilized for future reunions. The breakfast provided is very adequate and seemed to be enjoyed by all the families which allowed me to enjoy family and not have to cook and clean up breakfast! the rooms were very clean and the towels are very soft. The staff I dealt with was very friendly and did not seem to be bothered when we asked for extra towels and such.

"Very nice! Great deal."

amd003, Ventura, California 26/04/2019

Very quiet, clean and comfortable. This is an older hotel, which means the walls are not like wall paper! The rooms are updated nicely. Great for travelling with a dog. The staff was great, they were ready with a list of dog friendly restaurants, with notes if the restaurant had a patio and if they had vegetarian options!

Beautifuldays2013, Baltimore, Maryland 24/04/2019

I thought this place would be great based on the reviews. But I am looking at a tiny TV sitting high on a very unattractive cabinet that is in poor condition. The shampoo bottle is so tiny I'm not sure there is enough shampoo for one use by my husband and myself. The toilet paper holder can accommodate two rolls, but there is only one and it isn't even a full roll. There is no extra roll (wrapped) in the room. The air conditioner works, but not sure it would be adequate on a really hot night. The parking lot is being repaired.

"Such honesty and customer service"

S8990FSsharonb, Cathedral City, California 23/04/2019

I stayed here in April. I left my laptop computer in the room. Aaron called promptly and shipped it to me the next day. It arrived intact with everything in it. This could have been a disaster, but thank to their honesty and customer service it turned out just fine! I would totally stay there again!

"A welcome respite"

User 22/04/2019

Our spacious room was very comfortable, Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. We try to stay at Best Western Mission Inn whenever we are in Las Cruces. Hope to be back soon.

"Wonderful place to stay!"

PLWendy, Dallas, Texas 16/04/2019

We were driving through Las Cruces on a move from Dallas to Los Angeles. All we wanted was a clean hotel that had HBO for the Game of Thrones premiere and that allowed cats. We called many different hotels and were very pleased that we found this Best Western. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the rooms and lobby were clean, and the free breakfast was very nice. I highly recommend this hotel!

"An oasis"

Ed S, Crosby, TX, United States 08/04/2019

This was the most comfortable room of our 8 day trip. Everything from staff to room layout to overall property was wonderful. We were particularly impressed with the staff. cheerful and helpful. We felt most welcome.

"Our reservation was not there"

User 04/04/2019

Booked direct, and our reservation was not in the system. Our friends used Expedia and no problems....they even got a free upgrade to a suite! The room was dated and a bit dirty. No amenities at all near by.

"Long journey"

User 03/04/2019

We stopped here for a couple of nights on our way from Louisiana to Arizona. Our room was spacious, very clean, and nicely decorated. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Restaurants recommended by the staff were great!

"Great Place"

J728, Arlington, Texas 02/04/2019

From check-in to check-out this was a great stay. Cynthia at the desk during check in was an absolute hoot! She had an extremely bubbly personality and she truly seemed to enjoy her work. When showing a guest in front of me restaurants in the area, she took a couple of extra minutes to point out to him which ones would actually be open as it was a Sunday evening. She even mentioned she loved directing people to restaurants... especially her favorites. Our room was beautiful and with a most unusual layout with a t 3/4 height wall separating the main room from the dressing / sink area. The breakfast was very good with the usual flare of a good hot breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

"Las Cruces NM stay"

terrysP5283XZ, Fort Worth, United States 26/03/2019

This was my second stay at this motel. I have established a yearly visit to family in Arizona and this is my second trip. The motel is a little older but it is well maintained and comfortable. If my plans hold, I will visit this hotel on my trip next year.

"Baseball Game"

D9248AZroberts, Midland, Texas 23/03/2019

We decided to stay the night in Las Cruses for sons Baseball Game in Anthony, TX. It was a pet friendly hotel and very nice away from interstate very quit and peaceful. Bed was a good a little firm for me, but it's because It is getting harder for me to rest away from own bed. We did have a suite but we had family in another room and I should have just book a regular room. Overall it was a great stay, they do serve a breakfast as well.

"Great stay in Las Cruces"

User 20/03/2019

Excellent hotel, close to Mesilla. Large, clean rooms with comfy beds and pillows. Updated recently. Breakfast was great with hot items (eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits and waffles) and cold items (cereals, yougurt etc). The wait staff was very thoughtful to come and refill our coffee several times. check in/out was a breeze. All the staff have excellent customer service skills. There are active train tracks across the street. I heard the train blow it's horn once - then I fell asleep. If another came through during the night, I never heard it. The horn was not excessive when I did hear it. I would still highly recommend it and would stay again.

"Beautiful mission style room"

Roseann G, phoenix, United States 20/03/2019

Upon arrival our check in was quick. We were pleasantly surprised y how clean and large the room was. While unloading our vehicle we heard the train pass by. Concerned we would have trouble sleeping, once we closed the door, couldn't hear a thing. Convenient location.

"Great value"

JCPCG, Spencerport, New York 12/03/2019

We were pleasantly surprised with this property! Enormous room nicely furnished, comfortable bed, and an updated bathroom. The decor was markedly Western and the entire property was well kept. Highly recommend!

"Hidden gem"

Fredrickson, Ka... F, Sioux Falls, United States 11/03/2019

We were visiting family and staying south in the warmer weather before heading home up north. The hotel is very clean and the room was big. We really liked the warm floors in the bathroom and sink area. I was concerned about noise from trains since the tracks were across the street but we were not bothered by them at all. We liked the courtyard in the middle.

"A great stay!"

C5640QXjosephl, Richmond, TX, United States 07/03/2019

Great location, close to highway, shops, & restaurants. Staff were very professional...enjoyed a restful stay. I highly recommend this location to other travelers. Best Western chain can be depended in terms of consistency throughout their system

"Friendly and clean what more could you want"

User 05/03/2019

All staff was wonderful. 1 lady even told us about pokemon go stop on property. Front desk was able to extend our stay with no trouble. Rustic decor but it fit Texas motif. Wonderful lawn for my dog to walk and was well maintained. Will be back

"Las Cruces Best Western Mission Inn"

Maps06656524955, Phoenix, Arizona 01/03/2019

A Pet friendly Hotel. Easy access to I-10 with an extremely helpful staff obviously intent on fulfilling each patrons needs. Many good restaurants close. Perfect for the "road trip" traveler passing through Las Cruces.

"reception and breakfast are cute decor"

Jesse P, Northern Kentucky, Kentucky 20/02/2019

Nice and clean. Located across a railroad track but after going to bed did not hear anything. The parking is kind of crowded and the spaces were not marked to reserve for each room so we had quite a walk back and forth with baggage from our car to our room. We were given a handicapped room and the bathroom was very nice. Carpet kind of worn.

"Dog friendly and good coffee"

User 16/02/2019

We were just passing through Las Cruces and we had great experience very dog friendly and had many places to take the dog out! The coffee was also extremely delicious in the morning and the staff was very friendly

"Needs updates"

User 04/02/2019

My second visit to this property, the first in winter months. The design and layout is visually appealing. Rooms are spacious and decorated in the southwest style, but the interiors are becoming dated. The HVAC system is a wall mounted unit that loudly cycles on and off, all night long. It cannot be set to keep the fan running. The TVs are small, not high def, and anchored on top of a unit that is set back from the bed and seating area. Desk staff pleasant and knowledgeable. Check in and out was efficient. Breakfast offerings average, but in a better than average seating area. Reasonably priced for Las Cruces.

"Ok motel"

fehlow, LA 04/02/2019

This motel was just ok. It is very old but well kept. The room was large and well kept but the carpet could have smelled better. The breakfast room was nice but the breakfast itself was pretty minimal. There is significant train noise. It is not really possible to walk anywhere from the motel due to traffic and a lack of sidewalks. Staff were friendly. Towels were very warm.

"Awesome Motel"

Doug B, Nanaimo, Canada 31/01/2019

Great room, comfortable bed, caring staff, decent location, and awesome breakfast. It was a full hot buffet and the eating area was especially large and comfortable. The front desk lady, Nancy I believe, offered us lots of options for dinner as there were no restaurants close by (pretty much need a car).

"Great staff, quiet, restful."

johrene, Houston, TX 21/01/2019

We had a combination of leisure and medical appointments as reasons for our stay. The medical appts. required that we stay two extra nights. The front desk staff, Aaron, and Cynthia couldn't have been more helpful. We used points for one of those nights, and the BestWestern Rewards agent was very nice and efficient.. The room was quiet and comfortable. It was a restful stay.

"Excellent amenities"

User 16/01/2019

The room was fantastic, the service most excellent and professional. The breakfast was pretty standard. If I had one recommendation, it would be: more vegan options at the breakfast. Coffee and bananas aren't bad, per se, but I would like a little more variety. Pleasantly surprise to have Silk brand chocolate soy milk, was able to have creamer in my coffee, which is rare at hotels

I made a mistake last year. My teenage daughter talked me into staying at Motel 6 because they have a heated pool. Not only was that closed upon our check in, but the third floor room's air conditioning was turned OFF, mid summer, in the desert. What was this penny-pinching management thinking!!?? After an hour of the sad wall unit's inability to bring the room under 92° I decided we, both being adthmatic, needed to leave. Best Western Mission had a room, it was clean, cool, and welcomong. The Motel 6 managenent refused to refund my money and treated me, a retired teacher, AS IF I WAS A STREET WALKER WHO HAD USED THE ROOM FOR AN HOUR AND WAS TRYING TO SCAM THE HOTEL. What a blessing is BEST BEST BEST WESTERN MISSION. I'LL NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE IN LAS CRUCES!

"Lovely "Mission Style" Hotel"

gunlakerMI, Grand Rapids, Michigan 07/01/2019

This was our first time to stay at this Best Western chain hotel in Las Cruces NM on Dec. 28, 2018. It was easy to check-in with the friendly hotel staff at the Best Western Mission Inn. It is a dog-friendly hotel at a reasonable cost for our furry family member. We didn't get a lst floor room which was requested through a hotel booking website. There were no 1st floor rooms available when we checked in. Still the 2nd floor room was very nice and spacious with a Southwest theme and was different from other places we've stayed with dark exposed wood beams in the high ceiling. The bed was comfortable for us and the bathroom was smaller in comparison to the spacious bedroom but was the room. The only thing I was curious about was having to "get a ticket" to eat breakfast. They must have a reason, but I didn't ask. I'm accustomed to just going into the hotel breakfast area and having the ala carte breakfast provided. As for breakfast choices, it was minimal (nothing to rave about) but their breakfast area did look very nice and had "restaurant-like" seating for guests. We were very satisfied with our accommodations because we liked the uniqueness of the wood beams as well as it being clean, spacious, dog-friendly and the hotel presented itself as a lovely property with its outside "Mission Style" architecture. It wasn't walking distance to any restaurant or convenience store but we would stay at the Best Western Mission again if we were in Las Cruces NM again.

"Best Western Las Cruces, New Mexico"

cuevirgie, Reedley, California 06/01/2019

Stayed at this BW on a trip from Fresno, Ca to Dallas Tx. I usually stay at BW on all of my trips, c.lean rooms, comfy beds and usually good breakfast (free) . Stayed at the BW in downtown Las Cruces on the way back to Calif. Great!

"Nice style but needs cleaning"

tosbaga, San Diego, California 05/01/2019

Stayed one night in this during our road trip. It is at a convenient location. Check-in and check-out was very fast. Front desk staff was kind and welcoming. When we enter our room we really like that there are cultural elements like wooden furnitures, tiled mirror frame and nice cactus pictures on the wall. It was a large room but was not very clean. Carpets and refrigerator was dirty. There were huge dust blocks next to refrigerator and large furnitures. Sleep quality was very low, I had to turn off refrigerator because it was so noisy that woke up us two times at night. Breakfast in the morning was very nice. If management shows some attention to cleaning, this can be a very nice hotel.

"Hotel in Style and good service"

Hotel is in Mexico style that looks wonderful. Beds and pillow are great. Room and bathroom are clean and neat. Staff are very polite and friendly. The hotel is special from other that Breakfast staff provided service to each customers. It is so warm.

"Great hotel"

81barbaraw, Escondido, California, Usa 21/12/2018

We always stay here on our way to Ft. Worth. You won't be disappointed at all. The breakfast is good, coffee good, the staff always super freindly.Rooms clean, bed comfy, plenty of hot water. The value is fantastic.

"Great place to stay"

Bruce H, Sierra Vista, United States 01/12/2018

This is an older style Best Western Motel. That is not a detraction as it has charm that is missing on most newer ones. Everything was clean and worked well. The staff was quite good and helpful. The rates are quite reasonable and access to local restraunts and shops good. We have stayed here several times and it is always as good.

"Nice New Mexico Hotel"

Escape02558406689, Thousand Oaks, California 20/11/2018

Very clean and quiet hotel. Happy staff! Best bed I've slept in (other than mine) in a hotel. I made reservation on line and requested extra pillows, and they were there when we checked in. Breakfast was hot and good.

"Excellent For An Overnight"

Paul G, Tucson, Arizona 15/11/2018

This is an older two story hotel ( no elevator ) with an outside entrance to each room. The king was very spacious, large bathroom and extremely clean. The breakfast room is spacious with an excellent selection of items. Each staff member that we encountered, ( Night Auditor , Morning Receptionist and The Young Lady in The Breakfast Room were all charming, polite, friendly and very professional. We enjoyed our stay and when we return to Las Cruces, we will certainly stay here. On a note of information for future guests, The train tracks are next door, The trains come through, They sound their horn, This is in no way connected to the hotel.

"Comfortable and enjoyable stay at the BW Mission Inn in Las Cruces NM!"

susinak907, Anchorage, Alaska 29/10/2018

We enjoyed a most comfortable and pleasant stay at the Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruces, NM. The Staff was most welcoming and accommodating. Our room was spacious, well appointed and quiet! We have stayed at the Mission Inn in the past and would definitely stay here again when traveling through Las Cruces Susan & Chuck Harvey

"Las Cruces Revisited"

Robert R, Castle Rock 26/10/2018

Exceptional property. True Southwestern New Mexico ambiance. Clean well maintained. Some of the nicest people working here. I travel for work so I get to see many people who work in the hotel industry. The employees here treat you like family, no better than that. They treat you like a best friend. This BW brought back memories of travel through NM when I was a child. Very pleasant.

"Clean Room But Horrible Front Desk Staff"

James C, Gilbert, Arizona 19/10/2018

This was probably my second worst hotel check-in ever. One of the front desk employees asked for some information that, until today, I have never been asked (77 nights spent at BW properties alone this year; this does not include nights spent at other chains). When I questioned why it was "required", the individual became overly emotional. Strike one. The standard practice during check-in is to 1) be thanked for being a Diamond Select member and 2) asked if I would like bonus points or a thank you gift. Neither of which happened at this location. Strike two and three. The one positive for this location is their cleaning staff. Whoever cleaned the room I stayed in did a wonderful job.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi James C, I'd like to apologize for your experience with us. As I understand it, my staff asked for your phone # when checking in, in case of emergencies. That is a standard request but certainly not required. Concerning recognizing your Diamond Select status, I will follow up with my staff as well but it is possible due to incomplete check-in information that my staff was unable to pull up your status. I'd like to thank you for staying with us and appreciate your positive comments on the room and cleaning staff. I will follow up with my staff concerning your experience and do hope you choose to stay with us again. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the hotel. Thanks!

"Top Notch"

je1953, Toronto, Canada 17/10/2018

I have stayed in this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. Beautiful Southwest decor throughout and great service. It is only a ten minutes drive to the historical centre of Santa Fe and is surrounded by many good dining and shopping choices.

"Older but clean and quiet at a good rate"

210SATX, San Antonio, Texas 16/10/2018

Stayed two nights in Sep 2018. The room is big, but there's a couple odd things. The A/C unit is on the back wall under a window. It would be nice if the window had black out curtains, as it let in too much light in the morning. If you open the bathroom door, it blocks the A/C unit; however, when you close the bathroom door, there is no vent in there so it never gets any air circulation. The vanity is not in the bathroom, just the tub/shower and toilet. It was well stocked with towels. The bed was comfortable; however, hard to get the temperature regulated and comfortable. With the cool night temp, we did not need A/C, but the comforter was thick and made sleeping hot, so it was hard to get comfortable to fall asleep. The A/C did not want to run much as it was cool outside. I guess we could have set the temp very low and opened the bathroom door to blocked some of the air. We like to be able to get out of bed without the air in the room freezing us out. Aside from the A/C noise when it was blowing, it was a quiet night. I've been in a couple hotels recently that used upper wall mounted A/C units that are very quiet. I hope more places will start using these. The breakfast area was large and stocked with the usual breakfast fare. They had biscuits and gravy, eggs, and a meat. Waffle maker, cereals, milks, juices, teas, coffee, and a little fresh fruit. There is a cabinet with a small fridge and microwave in it. The room also has a coffee maker. WiFi worked well.

User 16/10/2018

Everyone at this location is very friendly and helpful. We got lost & called to get directions which we promptly received from the Lady at the desk. At checkout the Lady made sure we received double points for our stay.

"Very nice accommodations. Highly recommended. Great staff"

Doug C, Portland, Oregon 12/10/2018

This inn provided us a nicer stay than any other place so far on our trip, even the other Best Western hotels, which is saying quite a bit. The room was spacious and comfortable, including cross-ventilation and a bathroom window. It was quiet at night, even though it wasn't far from railroad tracks - there were only a few trains and they didn't need to blow their horns at night. Front desk staff were very polite and very helpful. When we asked for a room located farthest from the railroad tracks (instead of fairly near), they immediately gave us a room at the back of the property without any problems. Also, when there was a minor problem with bathtub draining slowly, they got on it quickly. I felt like they cared to provide a good experience, even more so than more expensive places in other parts of the Southwest US.

"Great value for clean renovated room"

ROTOVEGAS, New Zealand 12/10/2018

Booked this as an overnighter driving through on the interstate. Pleasantly surprised by how great this place was as the rate was super cheap. Huge room. Renovated nicely. We booked a King room. Staff were all super amazing! Free ample breakfast included sauage and eggs, toast. Easy parking. Quiet. Short drive 5 minutes to supermarket where we saw lots of drugged out people. Hotel was safe. Nice pool and areas to sit outside.

"Good place to stay"

User 08/10/2018

Nice big rooms, pleasant staff. The pool and green area are very nice. There is a grill and picnic table for guest use. Towels, linens, and mattress were great. Good breakfast. The only thing I would improve on is cleaning the carpet in the room more frequently.

"A great place for a good night's sleep"

957barbie, Saint Louis, Missouri 06/10/2018

This is a very comfortable, affordable, and clean hotel. They are very pet friendly and they have a wonderful staff. They directed us to an authentic Mexican restaurant just minutes away in Melissa NM, called La Posta, and the food and service there was super. They have a small but well cared for central grassy area that is perfect for walking a dog or to sit and relax. We did hear a train at night but it was not noisy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a pet.

"Fabulous rustic property"

User 25/09/2018

We are on vacation from the UK, we found this little gem on our way to Texas. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The whole property is kept meticulous, the pool is really nice, the breakfast was good and the rates are reasonable. Bed comfortable, linen very crisp and clean, there are plenty of towels I recommend people travelling on the I-10 corridor stop at this property instead of booking in at El Paso. We will definitely stay here again.

"Half Way There"

adamsmandg, Granbury 22/09/2018

Our stay is usually just one night 'cause we don't drive straight through any more (age). We try to find a hotel that is half way to our destination. Las Cruces fit the bill for this trip. The check in was quick and easy - our request for the type of room met with no problem and the staff was accommodating. Breakfast plentiful, well prepared and well stocked. We will stay here again.

"Another Great Hotel"

Chucker00, Tucson Az, United States 18/09/2018

Stopped here on our last night before we got home, I needed a comfortable restful bed for my back. This hotel was more than comfortable. It had been recently remodeled, and was very clean, quiet, and comfortable.

"Best Western in Las Cruces has Amazing Staff!"

User 13/09/2018

Stayed at the Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruces (note, there is am active train track out front, so don't say I didn't warn you). The staff were just amazing, handling issues I may have before I even knew they were things I could worry about, or situations I might like a solution for. They gave us a place to park our trailer, put us in the further back rooms to reduce train noise, and offered to give us snack bags because we were leaving too early to enjoy the breakfast each morning. GREAT Staff!

"Great hotel"

Kenneth W, Orlando 11/09/2018

Excellent hotel. Great location, Extremely clean. Very good breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Had a good nights sleep. Internet service was very good. There is not much more to say when one has an excellent stay at this hotel.

"Las Cruces visit"

Kelly N, Idaho Falls, United States 08/09/2018

We have stayed at this property a number of times and have always been satisfied. The rooms are clean and the decor is awesome, a homey, southwest feel. They used to do a "order your own" breakfast and was really great. Seems they've gotten away from that and went to a buffet style. Personally prefer the order but the buffet is adequate. Great people, friendly and helpful. We plan on staying there our next visit.

"Way too hot"

Marisa E, Corpus Christi, Texas 22/08/2018

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice. The staff was very friendly. The stay included free breakfast but it wasn't very good. The problem I had was with the AC, no matter how low it was set, it stayed around 80 degrees in the room. So even though the beds were comfortable, I couldn't sleep because it was too hot.

"Quality stay."

165frankies, Las Cruces, United States 13/08/2018

The room was clean. They were large. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. Definitely quality. We booked again for next month. I highly recommended this Best Western Hotel.

"Pleasant stay with nice outside pool"

User 12/08/2018

We stayed here one night before heading to White Sands. We arrived late afternoon and enjoyed eating a meal we brought in the open space with tables that is near pool. Then we used pool, it was clean and refreshing. Room was nice size and AC worked well which was a blessing as it was 103 degrees out! Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Had nice complimentary breakfast buffet with eggs and bacon and a nice variety of cereals and beverages. My brother had the biscuits and gravy and sausage it was good. We would stay here again if in the area.

"Great stay,"

jester70040, Amarillo, Texas 03/08/2018

Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and professional. The biscuits and gravy were a bit bland but that's just a personal preference. Great stay and will definitely return.

"We didn't want to leave"

arroyoyesi, Irving, Texas 30/07/2018

Such a comfortable and pleasing experience. After a long drive it was wonderful to have a clean comfortable and cool room waiting for us. My husband mentioned how he loved the water pressure in the shower. Our breakfast was fulfilling. The staff was quite nice. We all slept so comfortable and didn't want to leave our room.

"Clean, quiet, friendly staff"

cbradl593875, Mesa, Arizona 27/07/2018

I have to stay at the lowest-price hotels as a policy of the company I work for. I can't tell you how relieved I was when I walked in the door at the Mission Inn. Wood furniture (not steel and plastic) firm mattress, plenty of room to change clothes, clean bathroom. QUIET at night. The front desk people couldn't have been kinder. I was very happy. If you're seeing a bunch of places at a similar price on a booking site, this is the place you want.

"Little things count"

User 24/07/2018

We only stayed for about 6 hours, but it was well worth it. The grounds were very well done and the room exceptionally well appointed and very well kept. The beds were very comfortable. Though we were late arrivals and without reservations, the staff was very accommodating. We were even able to get breakfast a little early, enabling us to get on our way in good time. The biggest little nicety, though, was the shower massage head. After a 12 hour drive, and with many more to go, the intent was to dispense with the shower, but it was too good to resist and was well worth the time. If only more motels would include this feature.

"Las Cruces"

User 23/07/2018

This was one of the best rooms we stayed in on our vacation. It has so much character and personality. The lobby and check in were great. After a brief conversation, the lady at the front desk was able to point us to a place to eat that was wonderful. I would recommend this Best Western Hotel to anyone.

"Nice motel. Enjoyed the old fashioned construction."

mroadking, Metairie, Louisiana 22/07/2018

We stayed here for two nights in July 2018 and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, comfortable, and furnished to our satisfaction. This appears to be a recent renovation of a much older property and that was part of the appeal. Many of the old building details in the rooms were still there and we found that interesting and homey. It is across the street from a railroad track, but we did not find this to be a problem as few trains were heard and those were during the day.

"Escape for Dental Work"

nataliesH9110RB, Ruidoso, United States 21/07/2018

Needed a nice place to stay that was in a good location to doctor's office. Best Western was a good location to everything. It was quite, clean and staff was very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful as is at all Best Westerns.

"Why wouldn't they tell a family booking their pool is out of service?"

erikarobers, Albuquerque, New Mexico 09/07/2018

I was really disappointed with this Best Western considering that my little boy looks forward to the pool more than anything when we travel. There wasn't mention on the website that their pool was closed for maintenance and when we checked in the clerk didn't bother to mention it either. When we realized it we complained to the 1-800 number and were able to get a refund and go find another hotel. I just think it's important for hotels to be up front about things like this.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi erikarobers, You may have this experience at another hotel. Our pool has been open continuously since it opened in May. Additionally, we have not been contacted by Best Western Corp. Any call to Best Western Corp would be forwarded to me for response. As a third check, I searched our reservation records for your name and did not find any names close to yours. As I mentioned above, you may have had this experience at another Best Western but it certainly wasn't at the Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruces, NM. I do hope if you're ever in town, you'll give us a chance to impress you and certainly deliver a better experience than what you had at the other hotel. Thanks!

"good experience"

kathy s, cibolo 25/06/2018

Stayed here overnight. Loved the room decor, kept very well with the location (very southwestern). room was very clean and different from most best westerns I've stayed in, in that the sink area was separate from the toilet and tub/shower (these were in a separate room). the sink was divided from the main room by a wall housing the closet area. this hotel has an outside entry. towels were clean as well as linens. I thot my bed was a bit hard however my son said his was great. I heard the train across the street only once. there are other hotels built pretty much the same distance from the tracks. The lady that evening at the front desk was Cynthia. she was very professional and friendly. she helped us with a place to eat. Breakfast was served in an extremely nice restaurant (I have been in lots of best westerns and so far this is my favorite breakfast place). It was a very welcoming atmosphere, with southwestern decor and a raised eating area that was a bit more private from the other tables. the food was good with a bit more variety than other hotels. The two attendants were Dennise and Eunice. they were very attentive to remove clutter from out table and ask if we needed anything. As we left we gave out key to the man on duty named Alan. a very pleasant gentleman who was very friendly. all in all I liked this best western and would recommend it. and although we didn't go in the pool, it looked as though that area was well attended.

"repeat Customer"

John W, Green Valley, Arizona 23/06/2018

Great check in friendly clerk, room was large, fast wifi, good TV, clean bathroom and shower. Excellent free breakfast that starts early (6 AM). Stayed there previously and will continue when near Las Cruces.

"Nice place to stay"

User 18/06/2018

Cleann rooms friendly personnel, great breakfast. Best place to stay, near all the family we are visiting and close to restaurants and downtown. Always try to stay here when visiting. An old motel that needs a litttle work.

"Best experience"

MrsSRockHill, Rock Hill 10/06/2018

We stopped in for one night along our NC to CA road trip. The place was beautiful, room was HUGE, awesome beds, top-notch breakfast, and the pool was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's off the beaten path s but but is WELL worth it!

"Great Room and Staff-Good Value-Very Relaxing"

Joan W, Green Valley, Arizona 07/06/2018

I stayed here twice in two weeks recently and was impressed both times. When I made my reservation Allan at the front desk assisted me and told me "our rooms are the largest in Las Cruces". The room I had was indeed huge and had been recently renovated. Joseph helped me in with my luggage and when I commented how tastefully the room was furnished and how remarkable the mosaic tile around the mirror ways he said he had done much of the work. The wood furniture was sturdy and practical. Wood beams were overhead and the microwave and refrigerator were in a cabinet. The room was well lit, had two beds with four pillows, lots of places to charge electronic devices and TV had great selection of channels. Towels and bedding were upgraded. I slept well and the room was very quiet as the rooms are set back from the street. Outside was a landscaped courtyard with an inviting outdoor pool, benches, and table and chairs. In the morning a delicious hot breakfast was served in a cheery dining room with tablecloths and huge windows. An attendant brought beverages and kept the food items replenished and stocked. Although the property is older it is well maintained. A one way circular drive leads to the rooms and you can park directly in front of your room. The motel is two stories (no elevator). Restaurants and historic Old Mesilla and Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park are nearby. I thought this property was a great value and look forward to staying here again as my stay was perfect.

"very relaxing"

deborahp470, Las Cruces, New Mexico 05/06/2018

I had a water leak in y home and needed to be removed for a couple days. My family and I stayed at the Best Western Mission Inn. It was very nice with clean rooms. The people were very accommodating and friendly. It has a very nice court tucked away behind the pool that is very well shaded with tables and a barbeque grill. The price was right and the service was excellent.

"Must Share Room With Cockroaches"

pgstockton1, Dayton, Ohio 28/05/2018

I reserved one night at this hotel for my daughter who was traveling. She checked in, went to her room, and immediately checked out because her room was crawling with cockroaches. She sent me video and I was appalled. No refund on the room either. Stay here only if you don't care what crawls all over you while you sleep.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi pgstockton1, As I mentioned in your other review, I sincerely apologize for your daughters experience. We believe we've already addressed this with our pest control provider and will continue to monitor it diligently. Concerning a refund, I spoke with your daughter the next morning and explained to her that since the reservation was booked through Expedia, they would be issuing the refund. At no point did we charge your daughter's card or Expedia's virtual card for the stay. I did call Expedia as well and confirmed that they were issuing a refund which you may have received by now. Again, I sincerely apologize and as you can see from our other reivews, this experience is not indicative of the service and quality of accommodations we strive daily to deliver.

"Mission Inn is a lovely, well managed motel"

Gary N, Catonsville, United States 23/05/2018

The Mission Inn in Las Cruces is one of my favorite motels period. It is not a new property, but all the facilities are well maintained and work perfectly. The staff is very friendly and professional - I received an excellent restaurant recommendation. The room is large, comfortable, and attractive with the beamed ceiling. It is just a great experience to stay at the Mission Inn.

"Stayed one night last Sat, 5/19/18."

ramirezn1, Silver City, New Mexico 23/05/2018

Room was updated and very clean and had a great lawn right by our room to walk our two dogs. The only problem was with the air conditioner. With 90 degree weather in Las Cruces, NM, our room was rather warm. It did cool down some during the night. We would probably stay there again.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi Ramirezn1, Thank you for reviewing your stay with us! I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, I do apologize for the ac. The heat kind of hit us a little quicker than we thought and we didn't have those ac's running earlier to cool the rooms down. We have them running now and rooms should stay cool through the summer. Thanks again and I'm glad you'll choose to stay with us again!

"Great Room, but not so great WiFi"

Fred and Terry B, Monroe, Washington 19/05/2018

The King Suite is HUGE!!! There were 2 rooms that were equal in size. One room had the king bed, large end tables, Dresser as well as 2 chairs (one with an ottoman) and an air conditioner. The other room had the bathroom sink/dressing area as well as the living room that had a large dresser, refrigerator, TV, huge coffee table, desk, couch and loveseat. The only negative was that the WiFi was spotty at best during late day/evening and only slightly better during the day. However, the room more than made up for the WiFi.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi Fred and Terry B, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us! I'm really glad you guys loved the room. I do apologize for the wifi, we had a piece of equipment fail and it took us a while to identify it. I hope you choose to stay with us again, the next time you're in town!

"Clean, & nicely decorated & Friendly Staff"

User 14/05/2018

Nice large & clean room! There is a small hallway and then your bed (no hotel hallway shines into the room), there is a small refrigerator & freezer along with a microwave and counter outside the bathroom & a large area to put your luggage along with a place to hang clothes. The air conditioner unit is locate at the far end of the room - blowing on to the bed (no fighting over who gets the cold air.) Our room had a desk & office chair, couch & another large chair. For breakfast you can make your own pancakes or oatmeal, scrambled eggs & gravy, there is cold cereal & milk or you can choice yogurt, coffee & juice, english muffins, biscuits & bread for toast. Butter, cream cheese, peanut butter & jelly, syrup are also available. I would stay there again - the price was great too especially for the size of the room.

"Friendly staff"

Poudre1, Bellvue, Colorado 14/05/2018

Stayed 5-13-18. Check in/out was easy with very pleasant staff on both occasions. The breakfast buffet was hot and good. There were ample choices. The room was nice in appearance with South Western style furniture. The bed was comfortable. Except for the 5 AM train whistle and passing train the place was quiet. The room was not clean to my expectations. The previous occupants trash remained upon our arrival. I could tell that an effort had been made to clean, but a small effort only. The bathroom exhibited the same cleaning results. The sink had lots of tiny ants walking all over the top and in the sink. In the morning I reported this to the front desk and the reply was they would pass this on to maintenance. Even though I stay mainly in BW Plus hotels I probably would pass on this one in the future. We would have asked for a different room except for having already brought in all our crap and we were extremely tired from the days events and just needed sleep

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi Poudre1, Thank you for staying with us. I will track down what happened with your room and address it with my staff. As you may have seen from our other reviews, we do hold ourselves to a higher standard and I sincerely apologize for not delivering that standard during your stay. I hope you'll give us another chance to provide a superior experience on your next trip into Las Cruces.

"Best value in Las Cruces"

Gail L, Muskegon, Michigan, United States 13/05/2018

We've stayed many places in Las Cruces, but this motel is the best value. It's very clean and tidy. The location on Main St. is convenient. Most of the chain hotels in Las Cruces are right on either I-10 or I-25, a noisy location. While not too far from the highways, this motel is in a quieter location. The decor is southwestern, so there is some character. All the rooms have been tastefully redecorated recently. There is a nice grassy, shady area in the center of the motel with picnic tables. The staff was polite and competent. Maybe because it is an older hotel, the rooms are a little bigger. There is good attention to details in the room. The stopper in the sink even works which is not the case in many more expensive hotels. The beds are fine. There is a train that came (across the street) twice while we were there, but it was brief and didn't really bother us. The day we stayed, May 10th, there was no water in the pool, but they probably have fixed that by now. At $80 per night, we will make this hotel our regular stop when in Las Cruces.

"BEST dining room"

TinkerbellPatten, Camp Verde, Arizona 13/05/2018

Las Cruces was just a stop in the road on our journey but we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We ended up getting an upgrade to a double Queen suite. This room was fabulous with 2 bathrooms (yes 2 bathrooms) which made getting ready in the morning so much faster. Also a nice living room area, fridge, etc. This room was top floor in a corner so it was quiet. The dining area for their free breakfast was so nice! It's more of a nice restaurant feel rather than the usual cafeteria style room that you see in 99% of hotels that serve a free breakfast. Lots of options here including eggs, biscuits and gravy, and breakfast meat which I think was sausage if my memory serves correctly. When I saw the online photos before booking this hotel, I assumed the restaurant pictures were for a paying restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is the dining area for the free breakfast. They didn't have to make it so nice but they did. This is why we'll be back when our travels bring us back this way. Tip: don't park under a tree. The birds here need immodium. I don't know what these local birds are eating, but whatever it is, it doesn't agree with them and we found out the hard way. We didn't get one or two droppings. We got the front half of our car painted in bird droppings. I've never seen anything like it. It was like bird diarrhea times 10 birds. Ended up having to spend $10 at the car wash before being able to hit the road again.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi TinkerbellPatten, Thank you for staying with us! I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and I'll definitely see what I can do about those birds!

"Good place to stay in Las Cruces"

User 05/05/2018

I continually return to this hotel because of the location, value, cleanliness, friendliness, and amenities. It is convenient to the interstate (I-10, a bit of a drive through town from I-25) and the University where most of my business takes place.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was very spacious and decorated with a southwestern flair. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is one of the nicest Best Westerns we've stayed at.

"A pleasant surprise"

Joe B, Tempe, Arizona 23/04/2018

My wife and I visited Las Cruces for a weekend birthday celebration. Had no intention of staying at a Best Western, but the price was right and location was convenient for our visit. It has been decades since we have chosen a Best Western, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. Great staff, updated room, good hot breakfast. I vowed to return. We were a little concerned about the railroad tracks across the street, but that was no disruption to sleep. I was aware of two trains passing in two nights, so it wasn't a problem.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi Joe B, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to review your experience with us. I'm glad we were able to exceed your expectations and hope you'll become a Best Western regular!

"Wonderful stay"

kingrodney40, Riverside, California 20/04/2018

Hotel looks a bit dated but the stay was terrific, The Staff was attentive and personal. The room was large and comfortable. The Hotel is located next to the Railroad tracks so you will hear an occasional Train pass by in the evening.

"Very good"

dvbro21, Carlsbad, New Mexico 18/04/2018

Every thing was good could use firmer pillows. Lobby, room and the outside of the buildings was clean. Could use more snacks .Need some king rooms on the ground floor because my wife had trouble climbing the stairs.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi dvdro21, Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. Based on your comments and your other review on, I'm guessing that you meant to give us a 4 or 5 rating. Concerning the king rooms, we do have several on the bottom floor although we were sold out of the king room type during your stay. I will also make sure we add some more snacks to the mix! Thanks again for staying with us and we look forward to your next trip into Las Cruces. Thanks!

"great SW style motel"

Martha C, Cape May Court House, New Jersey 10/04/2018

My husband and I stayed here on our way from our NJ home to our AZ home March 31. We usually stay at BW and found this hotel in AAA book. It was everything we like. Nice big room comfortable bed SW décor decent breakfast and Great price. First time to Las Cruces but we will definetly be back. Staff friendly pool nice (but is was closed when we were there) We stayed in 5 difference motels coming from NJ and this was the BEST

"Comfortable in Las Cruces"

carlos049, Calgary 06/04/2018

A well maintained, clean and comfortable older style motel - but fully updated. Close to Interstates and Mesilla. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Will definitely recommend. We will stay here again.

"Beautiful hotel"

Patricia L, Lake Montezuma, Arizona 02/04/2018

I was very impressed with the desk staff upon arrival and the morning staff on departure. The lobby was beautifully appointed with many items of historic worth accenting the Mission theme. I was quite impressed. Overall, the stay here was exceptional, the room comfortable and clean, internet fast, and breakfast was very good. We would plan to stay here again if we come this way.

"Best Western Mission Inn, Las Cruces, NM"

User 02/04/2018

The rooms were clean and all the expected amenities were available. The rooms are very quiet. We never heard noise from other guests. We did hear the sound of one train passing by each evening but it was not disruptive. The tracks are across the street.

"Great stay, great value."

FanaticalFisherman, Anchorage, Alaska 02/04/2018

Great location, easy 5min access to downtown, Mesilla and university district. Staff were very professional and courteous. Rooms are clean and accommodating. I will definitely be staying here again!!!

"Great Value"

prince1446rp, Albuquerque, New Mexico 31/03/2018

Great value, with spacious rooms. Comfy bed. Safe, secure feeling. Near RR tracks. Train passed by both nights about 1a, but was not much of a disruption. I'll stay here again, over other hotels in the area.

"Great value, large rooms, and great breakfast."

User 23/03/2018

A family of 5 (4 adults 1 child) has plenty of room to spread out. The price per night is great. The hot breakfast has a lot of variety and the attendant does a great job of keeping everything filled.

"Thank you to everyone at the Best Western Mission Inn!"

We recently brought a large tour group to visit the area and we stayed at the Best Western Mission Inn. Everyone was pleased with their stay there. Nice clean rooms. Staff went over and above. Very helpful and friendly. Helped with information about where to eat and made sure we got our points. Very accommodating in finding the room we wanted. Hotel was older but very well maintained.

"Very pleasant stay"

Erika A, Deming, New Mexico 13/03/2018

Very clean property, clean rooms, friendly staff. We didn't make it for breakfast but was still offered if we wanted anything from the back at checkout and still was able to get coffee. We would stay here again.

"Great decor and love parking in front of room"

rocky1895, Winnipeg, Canada 05/03/2018

Great motel with outside door access. Nice decor in lobby. Nancy at front desk very accommodating by lending us her cell when our card was declined. The room is big and nicely decorated, separate counter and sink from bathroom. 3 nice big windows in front. The breakfast lady was very helpful always picking up and supplied me with a few gluten free options.

"Love the Large old fashion room!"

rebeccacJ9698FJ, Silver City, United States 05/03/2018

Mission Inn is the only place we stay at when we go to Las Cruces!! The rooms are great and vey clean. Breakfast is good for buffet style--could have something besides link sausage though!! Front Desk clerk was friendly and fast!! Will stay again if the need arises.

"Best western great rooms, very bad staff and service."

Chris C, Odessa, Texas 11/02/2018

The hotel is beautiful, but the staff was horrible. My GMC Daniel 3500 was stolen from the parking lot and was, spoken to and looked down on by hotel staff. The manager was the only kind one. This is a great hotel but no one should ever be treated the way, why make someone feel worse in an already bad situation.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi Chris, I'm glad you were able to get things squared away with your truck. I apologize again for the employee you spoke with, she shouldn't have asked you the question she did but I think that stemmed from parking in a handicap spot due to lack of other parking availability. I certainly appreciate your kind words about the hotel and myself, if there's anything I can assist with please feel free to give me a call. Thanks!

"Very nice, large room and great doggie area"

Cindy L, Huntington Beach, California 10/02/2018

We spent two nights here and were extremely pleased. The room was very spacious , clean, and quiet. I liked that you could park by your room... plus it made it extra easy for taking the dogs over to the grassy area just beyond the row of cars. The staff were all very friendly and they had a hot buffet breakfast, including scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, plus all the regular things. Great flat screen TV and HBO channels. No problem with internet. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to return here.

"Nice older property, but....."

User 03/02/2018

The room is spacious with toilet & tub/shower separated from the sink & mirror. The bed was comfortable although the TV was small & at a rather high & far position to be easily seen from the bed. The biggest problem with this place is the location across from the tracks for the freight trains. It feels like they're coming through the room. Most of the newer properties are only 1/2-1 mile away and in overall nicer settings. Take a look at a detailed map before booking here if you are a light sleeper.

"Good Second Stay"

LovePgh, Albuquerque, New Mexico 03/02/2018

This was my second stay at this property, and it was good enough to make this my choice for future stays in Las Cruces. The breakfast was very good with a great selection of hot and cold items aplenty. The room was well-furnished and very nice. Service from employees was exceptional start to finish. Wi-fi connection was consistent and strong. I like the vibe and decor of this motel and its location, too. It's easy to get to most places in Las Cruces from here without being located right next to the freeway. The only issue with my stay was a shower head that seemed somewhat clogged by hard water. The water sprayed all over the shower (and beyond the curtain) and I was unable to adjust the shower head to any discernible spray pattern. This motel is a great value, and it will continue to be my motel of choice.

SterlingChampion, Houston, Texas 03/02/2018

I'm genuinely surprised by all these positive reviews and I'm wondering why our experience was so different. We were under the impression that the rooms were recently renovated, but it sure didn't look that way. The staff was really lovely, but the room was stinky, poorly lit, and cold. The toilet clogged, the tub didn't drain, the tv was tiny and old, the furniture was broken. I woke up in the middle of the night unable to breathe, I assume due to the mold and the window unit heater that cranked loudly all night. As we were leaving the next morning we realized that one of our thin front windows was actually open the whole freezing night (it had been hidden by the curtain)- the catch didn't work, so we couldn't have closed it if we wanted to. Tidy grounds, friendly employees, but otherwise - just awful. I'm not that picky when it comes to inexpensive road trip motels, but our room was such a bummer!

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi SterlingChampion, Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. Your stay was certainly atypical but don't worry about being too harsh a critic. Our staff generally do a great job of maintaining the property but there are times when we'll miss things. Although we hope and expect to catch problems before a guest stays with us, when we miss something we do value the information guest reviews give us. I"m guessing the stuffiness was due to the heater running, just turning it off or lowering the fan speed could have helped. Concering the other things you mentioned, I'll go through with my maintenance man and identify the cause and make corrections. Thanks again for reviewing us and if you'l like to speak with me please feel free to contact me at the hotel.

"Very nice for the price. Pleasingly suprised."

Dee G, Texas 02/02/2018

The rooms are large, well appointed & nice. It is nice to be able to pull up & park in front of your room, easy unloading your luggage. A little noisy due to the train across the hwy. Nice reception, above average included free breakfast. I would stay here again.

"Very clean and well-run property"

User 31/01/2018

I really enjoyed my recent stay at this hotel. The staff was great and the room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was served in this lovely restaurant-style setting (The Blue Agave Room) and was plentiful and delicious. Fortunately the hotel is located a few blocks away from some major road construction going on downtown, so I was able to get around town and avoid that. Also, the motel is located not far from Mesilla, which I enjoyed visiting as well. Although it did not bother me, it should be noted that the location is near the railroad tracks, so you will hear trains from time to time. They have some pet-friendly rooms and a seasonal outdoor pool as well.

"Fantastic stay"

Matthew A, Akron, Pennsylvania, United States 29/01/2018

Great room and great employees. Clean, breakfast was good, reasonably quiet too. The streets of Las Cruces are not the best lit so finding this place in the dark was a little more of a task but well worth it.

Rose H, Seattle, Washington 28/01/2018

Absolutely the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in and that includes some high end hotels. The bathroom had no stray hairs, the towels were soft and new and the beds were amazing. I won't leave out the great front desk staff either. I recommend staying here.

"Sorry We Were Only Staying One Night"

Vera B, Tucson, Arizona 11/01/2018

The Best Western Mission Inn has the kind of outstanding decor you expect in a boutique hotel or bed and breakfast. The beautiful chosen decorative items and colors and woods in the lobby continue into the rooms as well. We were blown away by the beautfy of this motel. Obviously an older one-story roadside property, it has been brought up to date and decorated with care. We appreciated that it is a dog-friendly property, and particularly that there is a large grassy area with picnic table and large shade trees beside the central swimming pool. The free breakfasts at Best Western are way above the quality of free breakfasts served at other motels, and this one upped the game by having a two-level dining room that afforded people a bit of privacy. The food area was constantly cleaned and stocked. Beds were comfy, electrical outlets plentiful, a small fridge and a microwave were handy, the room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom fixtures looked brand new. The location away from the freeway, but just a few blocks from the intersection of I-10 and I-40 meant the motel is quiet as well as convenient. We did have one concern. We were there in colder weather, and the room a/c-heating unit did not have a control to turn off the fan, so we had a blast of warm air for a while, followed by a blast of cold air. The heating/cooling units obviously are the last thing to be upgraded in this beautiful motel. I hope the owners will take care of them before we return. I think on our next road trip we will go out of our way to have a stop in Las Cruces just so we can stay at the Mission Inn.

"Moving to New Home"

John L, Kerrville, Texas 10/01/2018

This is a nice, well maintained hotel. It is an older hotel, but they have it in very good condition. Fairly easy to get to, and wasn't right next to the interstate, which I liked, so it was quieter. The breakfast was better than at most hotels I have stayed at. Hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffle maker), with other good choices for cold foods. I thought is was a very good value. We would stay here again.

User 04/01/2018

This Best Western -Mission Inn is the best. The night staff, Teddy, was very accommodating. He even tried to save us money. The room was very clean, always spacious, newly painted, and an updated bathroom. I love this hotel/motel. It's always quiet, and we feel safe. The breakfast is unbelievably good and well maintained. We will be back!

"Great for traveling with dogs"

User 02/01/2018

I have not stayed in a Best Western for 17 years because of a bad experience and swore I wouldn't again. This was my best choice in Las Cruces with my two dogs so I had to. Great property, room was nice and large, I loved that they had a grass area for pets, and the staff was really friendly. I would go back to this property but no other Best Western.

"Give this new hotel a try!"

Sharon S, Hot Springs Village, United States 01/01/2018

We were impressed with the welcome we received and the effort given to solve a problem with the TV. The décor was Southwestern but above average. Good breakfast in restaurant environment. A relaxing stay!

"Las Cruces BW"

Jim M, San Diego, California 30/12/2017

We stop in Las Cruces on some of our cross-country jaunts, as it is about half way between our home in San Diego and our next stops in Austin or San Antonio. This hotel is close to the I-10 highway, and is a very good value. They include a good buffet breakfast with the stay. The room is pretty basic, but it is clean and well-maintained. Overall, this hotel represents a convenient, good value stay.

"Old style motor lodge"

Mark D, Florida City, Florida 29/12/2017

This is a great hotel with fantastic staff. Updated motor lodge style with large rooms, plenty of light and comfortable beds. Hotel is well kept and clean including rooms, lobby and breakfast area. Outstanding value.

"Quiet and Clean"

Birta12, Manitoba 28/12/2017

We stayed two nights at the Mission Inn. We were impressed with the cleanliness and care the hotel staff showed us both in our service and the overall appearance of the hotel and courtyard. The breakfast server was especially helpful and attentive. The selection at breakfast was good and everything ran smoothly. We'd certainly consider staying here again.

"quite pleasant "

User 23/12/2017

Easy booking online. Staff was very friendly, everything was clean. Nice dog walking area. Pool was not open due to the winter, but is in a perfect spot and maintained well. Breakfast was fresh and warm. The whole environment is very inviting and nice.

"Third time at the BW Mission Inn"

User 22/12/2017

Spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds, microwave and fridge. It's the third tine we've stayed here and it has always been a pleasant stay. You may hear train noises in the night, we use ear plugs so it's not an issue.

"The place to stay in Las Cruces"

thomaswU3264ZC, Winfield, Kansas 21/12/2017

A beautiful well-cared for motel with a great deal of las Cruces history going back to the 1960s. Largest rooms you will ever find with tasteful Southwest accents and furnishings. Close to the university and shopping, easy to get to, no traffic noise, friendly staff and manicured grounds.

"Rustic Oasis"

You will definitely enjoy your stay in this rustic Oasis! Newly renovated and ready to accommodate your vacation needs. The management & staff are very friendly. Their breakfast spread is also very good.

"Retro in Extremis"

drcaparr, Dallas, Texas 17/12/2017

Read ALL the reviews, not just the management recommended ones! “Mid-century” has it right. This was an avant-guarde motel in the 60s by the look of it. But the low-end price reflects BW's assessment of the attractiveness of this property. We are penning this review at 2 am, so we cannot speak to the breakfast or the train traffic, but the room speaks for itself. First the PROs: spacious area and king-sized bed with choice of pillows. Adequate WiFi (5 Mbps DL, 2.5 Mbps UL). Working smoke detectors. Areas of heated tile! Now the CONs: it's as if the ADA and ATSC never happened. The TV has analog channels, and the toilet seat flirts with the floor. (Toilet is prone to clogs.) The A/C is a recalcitrant window unit that pumps heat (it's December, after all) into the room REGARDLESS of thermostat setting. (We've had to disable it for comfort, but we rue the coming of a chilly dawn.) Bottom line is this IS the motel for you if you're a fan of nostalgia and long for the 60s experience. BWMI apparently realizes its shortcomings and has become “pet friendly” and “good breakfast” and inexpensive in compensation for the paucity of (the costlier) renovations.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi drcaparr, Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. I have to say, I love your writing flair and I do appreciate reviews like yours. I'd like to clear a couple of things you mentioned, the AC is a ptac, through the wall unit that almost all midscale properties have. We do have ADA rooms available, if requested. As well as, all the reviews you read are by guests like you who've stayed with us. TripAdvisor doesn't allow for management recommended reviews, they just list them as they come in. We were able to clear the toilet issue, it just needed to be plunged but I'll make sure I keep an eye on it to make sure it does not reoccur. As I mentioned above, I do appreciate reviews like this b/c it keeps us on our toes. I would like the opportunity to speak with you further and can be reached at the hotel. Thanks!

"Dreadful place Cannot Recommend."

mkendram, Arizona, United States 12/12/2017

I do not recommend staying at this hotel under any circumstances. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in LC, and while not great, HIE was much better than this, especially in room cleanliness, breakfast offerings, and staff attitude.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi mkendram, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I apologize for not contacting you sooner as I was under the weather. From what I understand your experience was certainly odd, if you have the time I'd certainly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further.

IT was a really nice place to stay for the price. We where there for training and all the staff was nice and helpful. If I have to go back to Las Cruces for training or even personal events and it was close by to stay again I would.

"surprisingly great!"

User 01/12/2017

The outside is very mid century; I was apprehensive. The room was fantastic! Redone and extremely spacious. Breakfast was also great with biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles and the usual assortment of cold stuff. My kids were SUPER excited that hostess cupcakes were included in the pastry selections. The breakfast lady was on her game and the front desk guy was very pleasant. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars was the check in lady was very suspicious about the number of kids in our room (?) and the carpets were daughter walked across the floor from her bed to the bathroom and back and needed to clean her feet after. They were black. Just make sure you wear flip flops. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Las Cruces.

"Pleasent Suprise"

Phillip S, Green Valley, Arizona 27/11/2017

After mant nights in other hotels on Hotel row, and just off the freeway. I was pleasantly surprised by this Hotel. Far enough away from the freeway noise, yet close enough to get back to it, when it was time to reume our journey. Also close to a variety of eateries. Quiet comfortable large rooms and bathrooms. Clean and comfortable. And the good breakfast with a 6am start, just made everything that much better.

"Great place, as usual"

User 18/11/2017

We stayed here before, a long time ago, and it's etched in our minds as *the* place for us to stay in Las Cruces. Conveniently located to everything we want, easy to find, quite reasonable rates, and of course, all the cleanliness and comfort we've come to expect at Best Westerns. What more could we ask? No gripes.

"Modernized Memory from Childhood"

karinm48, Oslo, Norway 17/11/2017

This hotel/motel was a very positive trip down memory lane to my childhood and in addition has been modernized and had all of the amenities of today's hotels, but still had the ambiance of the 1950s & 60s. It was such fun being there and the staff was extremely friendly and service-minded. My only complaint would be that Best Western has changed their logo and no longer have the gold crown as their very familiar symbol - I miss that and the little soap bars with the gold crown logo on them.

"A welcome stay after a long drive."

N2285HPtamarab, Rosebud, Missouri 15/11/2017

We enjoyed everything about this hotel from the employees, the beautiful room and comfort of the bed. The room was huge! If there was anything not excellent about our stay, I guess it would be the close proximity of the train. Only heard it once though and it didn't disturb our sleep at all. We will always stay here when traveling to California.

"No complaints here."

User 14/11/2017

I was in town for an interview, so I wasn't looking for the Sofitel! This hotel met all of my basic needs, and the price was reasonable. My luggage was delayed, but I was able to walk to a pharmacy and to a thrift store for what I needed.

"Nice Motel in Convenient Location"

leaf888, Virginia 12/11/2017

I stayed two nights while visiting the area. The room with the very comfortable king bed was large and well appointed with mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The AC was newer and maintained the proper temperature. Adequate parking near your outside entrance, but you have to walk to second level. Breakfast is included, but I never had time. I did get very good coffee from the lobby, so did not make any in my room. Ice and soda machine is outside on level 1. Very clean place with helpful staff. Close to fast food, gas, etc.

"A lot has changed in 10 years!"

Susan M, Fernandina Beach, Florida 10/11/2017

10 years ago, hotel was located down the road just off I-10. Had moved closer to town but still had gone downhill, Right across from railroad tracks so hear train into evening/night. Breakfast in restaurant region was very good. Room very large including king sized bed with plenty of space. Bathroom window did not lock so had to use wooden clothes hanger to secure it (were on 2nd floor but not taking any chances). Rates were very reasonable though.

"Pretty much up to standards "

phoenixdude1000, Anaheim, California 04/11/2017

Check in was smooth. Room looked clean with fridge & microwave. Furniture has that rustic wood look typical of the local style. Queen bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, waffles and more. Chairs on the lawn in center of parking lot to hang around. Wifi speed varied, not always good. Would definitely stay here again.

User 04/11/2017

we were traveling through and decided to stay the night in Las Cruses. when we went in the desk clerk was very friendly and had us checked in within minutes. the only problem is the bed was dropping on the sides which made you feel like you were falling out.

Enjoyed our stay and especially the front patio area. Rooms were clean and fresh and newly remodeled! I would definitely stay at this location and any other Best Western Hotel. My experience with them has been great! Good Experience! G & J

"Not What I Had Hoped"

User 29/10/2017

Stayed two nights in October. The positives - Huge room size with good lighting, especially in bathroom. Good sized fridge and microwave. The negatives - King size bed was hard and uncomfortable. We were near the front of the hotel and the train across the street sounds like it is coming into your room. Three each night with the horn roaring each time. Request a room in the back. Also lots of noise from slamming doors and guests outside. The coffee I got at the desk in the morning was burnt and awful. I loved this place 30 years ago but will stay somewhere else next trip.

"NMSU Homecoming Weekend"

Sniffies, Montgomery, Texas 28/10/2017

This hotel has been around for many years but is still a clean and well-maintained facility. The rooms are quite large and well-appointed. The only drawback is the proximity to the train tracks and a RR crossing, which can seem extremely loud in the middle of the night; asking for a room further away from the tracks might alleviate some of that issue.

"Great Place to Stay"

Q6459DFjosephd, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, United States 23/10/2017

Great place to spend the night. The hotel has a great appeal and the staff are very accommodating. The continental breakfast was very good and everything is kept fresh. The overall appearance of the hotel is very nice. The rooms are very clean and my wife loved the decour!!!

"Traveling back to Tuscon"

Darrell I, Kennewick 22/10/2017

The rooms were clean the furniture looked like it was from the 70's but that didn't bother us. One drawback is that the hotel sits by the main rail line and about 5:00 am the morning train came thru to wake us all up. The breakfast was really good.

"Helpful Front Desk Staff - Large Clean Comfy room"

Richard289, Calgary 22/10/2017

This was our last stop in USA on a road trip from Canada, and we seemed to save the best for last. The front desk staff were very helpful, including making some photocopies we needed for crossing into Mexico. We checked in Oct 21 afternoon if management wants to know who was GREAT! The room was large and nicely decorated and quite quiet, although the AC was a tad loud. Breakfast was pretty nice for a self serve buffet - the room was more like a southwestern restaurant. Overall this Best Western is a great value and a fine place to stay.

"Clean, huge rooms, full breakfast"

queencamy, Socorro, NM 22/10/2017

We stayed for 1 night. This property is an updated BW and it is a really nice place 3 star to stay. Pros: Really good nightly rate reward night redeemable Huge rooms Large grassy, safe area for dogs & kids to play Full hot & cold breakfast included Con Only 1: by railroad tracks. Thankfully not a real busy track.

"One of Our Favorites"

Margaret H, Alpine, Texas 20/10/2017

We have stopped here once or twice a year over the past twelve years and have enjoyed it every time. The location is easy to find. The landscaping and grounds are always neat and clean - even the year they were remodeling. The staff has always been helpful and caring. We especially like the large size rooms and the warm bathroom floors. The furnishings and decor say "New Mexico"

"My Stopoff"

Wayne A, New Berlin, United States 18/10/2017

I enjoy stopping at the BW Mission Inn, Las Cruces, NM. I am beginning to learn this area of the city which helps while we are staying the night. The parking area is good. The breakfast is very good. There are several good restaurants in the area. There are two access and exit ramps to I-10 nearby and easy to get to. The room was perfect for our needs. My wife likes the light from a street light coming in the bathroom window.

"I have written five-star ..."

David G, Kerrville, Texas 12/10/2017

... reviews of this hotel in the past. It is still the best value available in Las Cruces, BUT it is time for the owners and managers to spend a little money on the rustic room doors. They are as secure as anything more modern, but you can see daylight around most of them, as they were NOT designed to seal the openings when closed. In this climate, that's not usually a temperature issue, but it does let bugs into the rooms. Those bugs are usually encountered dead, probably due to assiduous application of insecticides, a potential problem in its own way.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi David G, Thanks for taking the time to review your experience with us. I'm pleased you reviewed us excellently in the past and had a good experience this time as well. I'd like to sincerely apologize. I've dropped the ball and completely forgot about having the door weather seals replaced. I'll make sure I start on it this coming week as well as check all the doors thoroughly. Thanks again for staying with us!

"delightful stay"

melinda n, Surprise, Arizona 08/10/2017

First time in Las Cruces and had a wonderful stay. From the front desk to the room to breakfast the following morning the choice of hotel was great. Were very helpful with places near by for eating. Was located in a nice area and easy to find.

"Very Poor Best Western No Customer Care Whatsoever Dirty Bathroom"

sango61, London, United Kingdom 06/10/2017

Dreadful Best Western and they tend to be very good on all counts, not so with this one, no customer care at all, no welcome & no how was your stay. Our stay was not good requested bathroom wall be cleaned to Manager, it didn't happen. Inside bath is a real hazard as it is so slippy, requested and received mat, everything requested pool towels etc is checked out against your room and charges made for non return, to the extent when we checked out I asked for the room to be checked, the receptionist said the housekeeper would strip the room/bed to check if everything was there, we waited until this had been done as clearly they assume guests are sheet/pillow thieves. No money will escape this manager/hotel, if a buck can be made it will. Everything appeared to be geared to give the customer as little as possible, very mean man, ticket for breakfast given with request to tip the waitress, tipping is for good service which lacked on all counts in this hotel. Best western has been excellent in the past but exceptionally poor in this one. We wouldn't recommend at all staying here and certainly would not stay again.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi sango61, Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am the general manager at the hotel and I certainly wish I would've had the chance to speak with you during your stay with us. I did speak to my head housekeeper and front desk staff and they informed me that they took care of all your requests. It appears that this was not the case. I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you and can be reached at the hotel. Thanks!

"A hidden, delightful gem!"

Carlovers, Portland, Oregon 05/10/2017

We were in Las Cruces, NM for a three night stay. When we drove into this seemingly unassuming motel and checked in we were immediately thrilled. The room, though old, was nicely remodeled and the bed was very comfortable. There were tables and chairs in the large lawn "island" in the center, as well as a lovely pool. The breakfast was great, and the kitchen attendants were very helpful. We would stay here again and again!

"Stay elsewhere!"

ClaimsMachine, Los Lunas, New Mexico 04/10/2017

I sit here in this hotel, being woke up by noisy neighbors. Let me count the ways this hotel disappointed me so far. When I checked in, they initially gave me a room beside a noisy room. Their front door to their room was propped open with constant banging and commotion. I asked to be moved to another room. This time I was awakened at 1am to some females screaming At a naked male, "get back here you you b**ch" in front of my room. You'd think they had security to deal with this type of thing. I stayed here to save a few bucks but never again. A true disappointment to the best western brand.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi ClaimsMachine, I sincerely apologize for the this. The guest you initially moved away from was the same guest that we mistakenly moved to the room next to you. They booked through a 3rd party and I made sure they did not stay another night with us. I will also make sure my staff do a better job of communicating. Our other reviews are more indicative of the experience we usually provide and I do hope you will give us another chance on your next trip into Las Cruces.

"Inexpensive - for a reason"

ronaldp647, Las Cruces, United States 02/10/2017

Older property with a good staff. Our room had a few issues: Very slow tub drain and clogged toilet. A/C was insufficient. Also had a large roach frighten my wife in the shower. She screamed so loud I thought she was injured.

"Enjoyed the stay"

Yelri, Santa Rosa, California 26/09/2017

The room and bathroom were very large and comfortable. Decor was rustic and seemed very clean. It is an older property with a long history, which explains the size and layout of the rooms. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. I'm a light sleeper so I had asked for a room toward the back because of the trains and they accommodated us. I heard the train once in the early evening, but sleep wasn't disturbed at all. The only drawback was the carpet in the room which turned our feet black when bare foot. Definitely needed a good cleaning or replacement. Staff was awesome. The young lady there when we arrived was very friendly and gave us a wonderful suggestion in Mesilla for our dinner. Arriving at the restaurant, we found a wonderful festival going on in the square outside with music, dancing and lots of food and vendors. We spent time wondering around and enjoying the gathering. We stuck to her recommendation (La Posta de Mesilla) for dinner though and were delighted. Breakfast was fairly average, but the setting was lovely. There used to be a restaurant on the site which is now used for breakfast, with all the tables and decorations intact. The morning staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed talking to them about the property and the local area. Overall, I would say I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We do a lot of traveling by motorcycle and one-night stays, this was one of my favorites.

"Always a very good stay."

Thomas Q, Harper, United States 25/09/2017

We travel back and forth from central Texas to So. California several times a year. We have stayed here the last four times on our return trip. We have found this hotel provides a very consistent level of service. For us, most importantly, the rooms are always very clean and the beds comfortable. It's hard to beat a good nights sleep after a long drive.Good location close to I-10 and I-25. access. We will return again.

"True place to relax"

5berroterans, Grandfalls 25/09/2017

Our family love this hotel because of the large rooms n open courtyard n easy access to stores, they have done many improvements to the decor n Windows however I am definitely not happy about their carpets in the room my 1yr feet were black n it's every time we stay other than that we love it

"Best Western Mission Inn Las Cruces"

W5049FYdebrab, Ozan, United States 21/09/2017

The hotel room was large and very clean, beds were comfortable, and the furniture attractive. The hotel staff were very courteous and even called to confirm that an area restaurant was still open on our late arrival. There was a full breakfast also . . . Will definitely stay again when in the area . . .

"Good Hotel"

Robert A, Tucson, Arizona 20/09/2017

Good hotel for the price. Stayed here on an overnight weekend getaway. Comfortable and friendly hotel staff. Was courteous and gave me ideas and a couple of guides of things to do while my stay in Las Cruces.

"Well Maintained and Spotless"

brunswick, Arizona 17/09/2017

Recommended by friends and we can see why. This is an older hotel, but is well maintained and exceptionally clean. Bedding was very comfortable and crisp linens. Typical Best Western hot breakfast in pleasant seating. Cynthia at the front desk was very personable and provided excellent customer service. Easy access to I-10 and seemed to be in a safe area.

"Mission Inn Las Cruces"

We had stayed here before and were pleased with the service and the motel. It was clean and the desk personnel were friendly and courteous. We will stay here again. The breakfast was good and the internet access was easy.

"Our Favorite"

1775rifleman, State College, Pennsylvania 11/09/2017

On previous trips we decided only Best Western Inns and this was our favorite to date. As the name says Mission Inn and it certain gave the feel of the southwest. Room was large and comfortable. The breakfast room was comfortable and the selections were good.

"Sold out Labor Day weekend"

Jamie R, Arlington, Virginia 10/09/2017

Glad I had this reservation. Between the Hatch chili festival and a wine festival among other things every hotel was booked. It was a convenient location and a nice place to spend one night as we were just going to Hatch. Only a few miles from old town and good new Mexican food. The pool looked nice but no time to use. As always, needed a hotel that would take a dog and for $10.00/night it is reasonable.

"Very Nice Renovation"

Maurice D, London, United Kingdom 08/09/2017

Very quiet hotel. Courteous staff. Breakfast staff were wonderful but the food was so-so, but great coffee. There was a long string of coiled up hair on the shower wall but that happens. I would stay here again and recommend it. Great value for the price.

"Maintained hotel and big rooms"

colivier, Avondale, Arizona 05/09/2017

The room we had was nice and big with plenty of space. The breakfast options was better than what you get at other hotels. The air conditioner needs some attention since it is very load but that is what you get in the older hotels.

"Great People!"

kennethhL3556PZ, United States 31/08/2017

Best Western Mission Inn, is quite comfortable, but the Staff make it even better. Great People, form check in to check out the front desk is outstanding, and the kitchen personnel is on top of all your needs. I will stay always stay here, while in Las Cruces, NM.

"Las Cruces Mission Inn"

Joyce R, Green Valley 12/08/2017

Everything about this Best Western is done correctly. Reception desk personnel are polite, efficient, and helpful. It is the best Best Western motels that we have experienced over the last 50 years. Even the dog area is clean, has poop bags and container. I am always uncomfortable with motels claiming they are pet friendly but have no facility for disposing of excrement.

"Rude Night Clerk"

TexasGirlAD, Kerrville, Texas 11/08/2017

I stopped here last night. From the moment I walked in the night clerk was giving me attitude and made me feel uncomfortable. I had reserved online and wanted to pay with cash and put down a cash deposit like I just did the week before at a Best Western Plus in San Antonio, TX and as I have done many times in various states. It was the middle of the night. The clerk informed me that they don't take cash deposits and no hotel does that anymore. I drove on to Deming where I stayed at a Holiday Inn that was newer and much nicer than this hotel and that low and behold takes cash deposits. Regardless of how you like to pay if you are a weary traveler and don't want to deal with a self righteous and rude clerk on your journey don't stop here. Also if you are from Texas or have had a better experience with a Texas hotel don't tell this guy apparently he has something against Texas. Happy travels all.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi TexasGirlAD, I am very curious about your review and experience. We do require a credit card/debit card on check-in and guests can pay with cash at check-out. I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you and can be contacted at 575.524.8591.

Mark W, Taft, United States 11/08/2017

Older building but clean and nice people. A bit out of the main highway but worth the 3 miles to travel to. We only stayed for the night and did not use the pool or anything. Breakfast was buffet style and a decent selection.

"Recommend the King Suite"

VirginiaTravels, Alexandria, VA 08/08/2017

Highly recommend the king suite - a genuine two-room suite - large and well furnished, like a mini-apartment. The hotel itself is attractive, the staff is very pleasant, and there is hot breakfast - the sort of standard fare these days but in nice surroundings. The setting is very commercial (RR tracks, auto dealerships, etc.) but it's convenient to things.

"Clean, spacious, and pet friendly"

E1996VProbertw, Brunswick, United States 06/08/2017

Pet friendly hotels usually relegate guests with pets to second rate rooms, but not here. Well kept geounds, nice pool, and hot breakfast included. The bed qas a little saggy, but not uncomfortable I woukd definitely rwturn, with or qithout my pet.

"Southwestern comfort and a great value."

Burton C, San Antonio 05/08/2017

As we approached the inn I had a concern because it is located near RR tracks but it turned out not to be an issue. The property is an older one but has been completely remodeled and decorated with a Southwestern theme. At check in we were welcomed, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable (very firm mattresses). Our kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. Breakfast had both hot and cold food options available and the dining area has a pleasant ambiance.

"Priced well for the quality"

User 03/08/2017

The staff was great, very friendly. Breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. They appear to be doing some remodeling and I expect the rooms to be even better in the end. Overall it was a good experience.

"Great Stay"

Sheryl L, Conifer, Colorado 03/08/2017

We drive through New Mexico, Sante Fe about 4x per year, and always stay at the Best Western. Its clean and comfortable. Recently they were booked and we stayed elseware (for more $$) and the BW was much better!

"Rest after a long drive"

User 02/08/2017

The Best Western Mission Inn is a good place to stay over night. The room was comfortable, and clean. We had the king size bed and it was very comfortable. The breakfast was typical motel style breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were very good.

"Road Trip from Texas to California"

lisapX3037PH, Ontario, California 29/07/2017

Great Front Desk personnel when checking in and out. Breakfast was great, the personal overall of the restaurant where helpful and courteous. Definitely Stay again while traveling through the area. Love the Las Cruces area.

"Great sleep, huge rooms, super staff!"

Dino G, Corpus Christi, United States 23/07/2017

The rooms are very spacious and the beds provide outstanding comfort. Only issue we arrived at 9:02 to eat breakfast and the did not let us eat, they said breakfast service closed at 9 am. Other than that loved the place, we sill stay there again.

"Unique wood furniture distinguished room from most in this price range...although air conditioner was weak."

Alice J, Pacific Coast, USA 22/07/2017

Nice mission style room, mostly clean. Pleasant enough and a good deal for the price. Front desk said they didn't have the key to the supply closet when we asked for tissue for the bathroom. One of the few motels that actually placed extra pillows and towels in the room as requested on our reservation.

"Great customer service. Awesome lobby area."

GSmith07, Rancho Cordova, California 20/07/2017

One night stay. Very relaxing, quiet and clean; room was ground floor and had a hacienda feel to it. Good proximity to restaurants and other services. Pool onsite. Continental breakfast was good. Par for the hotel chain. Weak shower pressure but clean bathroom, although bathroom sliding window would not stay shut and could easily be opened from outside. Used a hangar to keep it shut. Room 131. Forgot to notify staff. Would definitely stay again.

Teresa G, Weslaco, United States 13/07/2017

Hotel staff was very professional and nice. He called to see if everything was good in the room, I was impressed. The pool was area was nice and calm. Breakfast was great. Overall everything was great no problems

"July 2017"

User 12/07/2017

Great place to stay. Nice, quiet, employees easy to work with, and they take dogs! It's off the highway enough, that noise is not a problem. Older facility, but always clean and comfortable. When headed East or West, we usually make it a point to stay here. Breakfast food is always good.

"Not a great experience"

paulpaulsen1, Anaheim, California 08/07/2017

Room had bugs, a/c is poor, very dirty in the hallways with trash and cigarette trays overflowing. Breakfast buffet is good. The front office clerk was very personable and accommodating, but overall, not a good experience.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi paulpaulsen1, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We had a couple of softball teams staying with us over the July 4th weekend and they did create quite a bit of trash. They were courteous enough to place their trash bags by our trash cans and my staff cleaned and removed them every morning. We also checked for trash later those afternoons. I also called in my pest control company July 5th to spray the bathroom of the room you stayed in. We're confident those small beetle like bugs won't return. I'm glad my staff were personal and accommodating with your concerns and am confident we'll deliver a great experience for you the next time you stay with us.

"Hidden Gem"

John W, Arizona, United States 08/07/2017

Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruses, NM is off the main track but well worth the few miles to locate the motel. Older motel, well maintained, large rooms, western decor and good hot breakfast. Easy to locate even though a few miles from I-10 on Mesilla Highway.

"A truly charming B-W in Las Cruces"

davenliane, Moscow, Idaho 07/07/2017

We were at the end of a multi-state trip with two children and I was weary of hotels. The charm of the Mission Inn won me over. The courtyard was extra spaces for picnics, a BBQ, the pool, and a nice little statue of good St. Francis himself. The rooms are older, which translates to spacious, but the southwest decor includes mirror frames, beamed ceilings and the fridge hidden in a wooden box. Breakfast was declared by the family as the best of the trip, and I also enjoyed the decorations and design of the dining area and lobby. All in all, an excellent option in Las Cruces.

"Almost wouldn't let us stay"

ChuckyMC, Las Cruces, New Mexico 06/07/2017

We used to live in Las Cruces but moved to Albuquerque two years ago. We both have not gotten around to changing our driver's licences, so they still gave our addresses as local to Las Cruces. We were driving back from San Antonio to Albuquerque, and when we went to check in they said "we don't rent rooms to locals," despite the fact that we had already paid through Priceline. Only after much arguing, and finally having to show our insurance card to prove that we had an out-of-town address did they finally agree to give us the room that we had already paid for. Never staying there again!

"Hotel stay"

User 30/06/2017

Room was ok. Staff person at checkin was very by the book, did not volunteer to check further about the room requested when we made reservations on line and room availability bwhen we arrived so we took room

"Quiet but not clean"

James M, Manila, Philippines 30/06/2017

You can see from the photos that this room was not clean. Lots of dust and debris scattered throughout the room and the bath area. We slept in quiet and didn't wake up with any allergies--we are very sensitive--so the beds must have been clean. Our room was quiet despite being next to the ice machine.

missioninnlc, General Manager at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi James M, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I'll review the pictures you took with my housekeeping staff and address any problems we find. I'm glad you had a quiet and refreshing night of sleep, I hope you'll choose to stay with us again the next time you're in Las Cruces!

"A Gem"

roumaynes, San Diego, United States 28/06/2017

A hidden gem of a hotel. Great décor/design. Friendly/helpful staff. Good location close to the freeway. Restaurants near. University near by. Nice breakfast. I will stay here again if I am in the area.

"Retro building with high standards."

ChicRoadTripper, Houston, Texas 27/06/2017

Not only did this building have personality, it was spotless on the grounds and inside my room. I was extremely happy and I slept so very well! A total sweetheart checked us in with a smile, Tifaney, thank you. This room was just very impressive and I felt very relaxed in a room so clean. Great quiet location but around the corner from all the cool stuff in town too.

"A solid hotel option"

LV_072013, Austin, Texas, United States 23/06/2017

I made the reservation last minute (when we arrived in town). The room was a good value (clean, cool, and good sized). The facility itself was dated but you could tell that management had tried to keep up with the times. The toilet and bath were separate from the sink/vanity area which allowed more than one person to get ready at a time. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast buffet was good and staff kept it fresh and stocked. I would stay at this hotel again.

carolinegJ2714HB, Poway, United States 19/06/2017

Love coming in after a 12 hour ride on our motorcycles and having a shower, comfy bed, and great breakfast. The staff was very friendly and will I g to accommodate out needs including a room with our bikes in front of our room. We would definately go back.

V-Twin1602, Hillsboro, Oregon 14/06/2017

My wife and I spend 4 days here and enjoyed our time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and housekeeping was attentive to our requested. The hotel is older, but has WiFi and cable. Our only complaint was the breakfast. The dining room is larger and nicer than most, but the food selection was a little subpar. Over all we enjoyed our stay and will return again..

"Had to plunge the commode for 4 people for 2 days"

DaleB312, Amarillo, Texas 10/06/2017

Don't stay here. Reported commode was stopping up to owner /mgr thru desk clerk and he said maintenance had gone home . Their solution was to hand me a plunger. I had to plunge the commode for 4 people for two days after each use. Had the desk clerk come down and witness it was not fixed after the first day.

missioninnlc, Owner at Best Western Mission Inn, responded to this review
Hi DaleB312, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. I sent you an email earlier as well. My maintenance man went into the room the morning you reported the problem and could not replicate what you were experiencing. He flushed the toilet several times without any problems. Later that day you notified the front desk that it happened again, I told her to move you to another room b/c its possible the problem could be bigger than just plunging a toilet, especially since we had already checked it. She let me know that you did not want to move rooms and at that point the only option available was to plunge the toilet. The next day, after you checked out, I went to the room with my maintenance man and again we had no problems flushing the toilet. The room was rented over the weekend a couple of times and reported no issues as well. Nonetheless, I apologize for the experience you had with us and am disappointed we weren't able to take care of the problem adequately for you. I will keep and eye on the room to make sure nothing similar happens in the future.

"Big and Clean"

User 07/06/2017

We stopped at this hotel while on a road trip through New Mexico based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and size of our room. The breakfast was very good for the price. As others have mentioned, there is a train nearby, but not super loud. My kids slept through.

"Wonderful Stay. Great Value."

LovePgh, Albuquerque, New Mexico 07/06/2017

This recently-renovated motel had large, spacious rooms that are well-decorated and appointed. Everything worked just fine in the room, and the decor was unique and tasteful. Our room had a microwave and fridge, lots and lots of plugs for electronics and charging, and many lamps for light. Staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful. The front desk staff was exceptional. The exterior entrance to the room with parking nearby made moving in and out of the room simple and quick. Breakfast in the morning was more than adequate with hot and cold foods and enough choices to have a balanced meal. The breakfast attendant was truly helpful and provided excellent service. Wi-fi was strong and fast. The trains passing by did not disturb our sleep at all. The only thing less than stellar was the firm and squeaky beds. While not awful, I would have preferred a softer mattress.

Ruth D, Houston 06/06/2017

We were visiting from Houston Texas and stayed one night to rest in Las Cruces and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice and clean with a rustic decor. Close to restaurants and and not far from freeway access. My kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. Small pool but overall met our expectations.

"Excelent service"

johnjQ8614VM, Elk Grove, United States 05/06/2017

It was a stormy night yet it was not night it just looked that way. We drove into a wall of darkness illuminated by flashes of lightning. Like a candle in the window we found our hotel waiting. Our room reserved and the excellent staff processed us and got us to our room rapidly. The restaurant recommended was excellent as well. We had a well slept night in spite of the muted thunder.

"Safe haven in Las Cruces"

Michael B, Snoqualmie, United States 02/06/2017

We were self-moving to San Antonio and had planned to stay in El Paso. Along the way we heard horror stories about UHaul vans being targeted for theft. The Mission Inn BW in Las Cruces had planned parking for those of us who were towing a trailer. It was right in front of the lobby where they could keep an eye on it. I rested easy that night knowing my UHaul was under their watchful eye.

"Nice spacious rooms."

Leona18m, Cassville, Missouri 31/05/2017

The rooms were very nice and clean, a lot bigger than I thought they would be. The staff was very nice and polite. Breakfast should have been until at least 10:00 am, after visiting with family and friends during the short time we were there getting up that early was a little hard. I would recommend staying here if you would like nice spacious rooms.

"A clean and well appointed older but very comfortable motel!"

BisbeeMike, Bisbee, Arizona 27/05/2017

Everything I wanted and nothing I didn't need - clean, quiet, good AM buffet, great room price, and excellent location! Just a quick drive to Old Melilla for a nice dinner out, convenient to shopping on the way back to the hotel, and a restful & comfortable place to spend a quiet night - recommended!

"Stayed before and would stay again"

Donald C, Morro Bay 25/05/2017

I've passed through Las Cruces before and stayed at this hotel twice. It was comfortable after a long motorcycle ride and it was a relaxing rest. The only slight negative is the train whistle. Fortunately it didn't sound late at night. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

"Nice place to stay"

bcreff, Northridge, CA 24/05/2017

My wife an I stayed here twice on a recent trip to New Mexico, Texas and Arizona. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is very good. Stay in the back and you won't hear the train quite as much.

"Very nice hotel"

marcian581, henderson, NV 21/05/2017

Lobby area was nicely decorated. Our room was very comfortable and quite. The mattress was excellent. Breakfast staff was friendly and very informative with information about the area. The breakfast was excellent and a good value. The waffles were light and fluffy.

"Nice mid-range hotel, but train does pass close by"

NativeNM2015, Sandia Park, New Mexico 16/05/2017

I was leary when I first arrived, the place looks a little beat down, but the rooms have been updated with paint and artwork and the bathroom fixtures look new. It was a nice large room. No elevator to second floor, so request first floor if stairs bother you. The first night the train blasted its horn around 4:30 a.m. Bring ear plugs and have a few cocktails before you go to bed. I didn't hear the train the next two nights. We chose this hotel because of availability. Town was packed for college graduation, but I would stay there again, it was "fine".

"Good for an overnight..."

Leah B, Santa Monica, California 11/05/2017

The recent renovation to the rooms makes this a "nice for the price" place to stay. It is located in a quiet part of town...except for the train that will probably wake you up at least once during the night. The breakfast is standard hotel fare. I always appreciate having a microwave and fridge in my room, so that is a plus. The walls are a bit thin, but my neighbors were quiet so it wasn't a problem. If you like a firm mattress you will enjoy the beds. I probably wouldn't use this hotel for more than a night, but it's a perfect "road trip" stop, with breakfast included. The staff is super friendly.

"Very satisfied!"

melodyg853, Ruidoso, New Mexico 08/05/2017

We were satisfied with our service, the room, cleanliness, comfort, and the decor. I would recommend Best Western Mission Inn to anyone traveling in the Las Cruces, New Mexico area. The courtyard and pool were really nice also.

"A GEM of a hotel"

W8912MNwilliamg, wheeling WV 03/05/2017

We just stayed overnight at this hotel, it was clean and the decor was western and matched the area perfectly. If we are ever out this way again it will be on our list to revisit. We even enjoyed listening to the trains passing and the whistle blowing...........

"NMSU rodeo weekend"

deborahf134, Mesa, Arizona 01/05/2017

Rooms nicely decorated but internet very slow. Good breakfast-only fault is that it's same every day. Don't stay here if train noise bothers you as the tracks are across the street. Rooms are big and plenty of hot water

"Location is a double edged sword"

je1953, Toronto, Canada 28/04/2017

A distance from the historical part of Santa Fe but easy to find and a good selection of decent restaurants in the vicinity. To be honest, after the hustle and bustle of Santa Fe's historical plaza, this hotel proved to be a quiet escape.

"Very friendly staff, great overnight stop"

jeaniebeanie74, Seattle, Washington 25/04/2017

We arrived late, but glad to get into a nice, very clean spacious room. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is decent, coffee was great. We needed a clean room in a safe area not too far from the freeway and this fit the bill. Nothing fancy, but perfectly pleasant.

"Good location"

907LynneT, Colorado Springs, Colorado 14/04/2017

Clean, located near old town Mesilla. Very helpful desk clerks. We used the picnic area in middle of motel, near pool. Pets are welcome. Motel is near train tracks but that didn't bother us at all. Good hot breakfast in the morning in their own attached cafe.

"Hard Beds... Great For Pets"

130jessed, Timberon, United States 13/04/2017

This is a good place to take pets, but since the last remodel was done the beds are hard and uncomfortable. The staff is great, surroundings are comfortable... very home-like. The breakfast is OK, beds are just not at par with the rest of the motel's staying points.

"Well cared for. "

MarcoSanDiego, San Diego, California 11/04/2017

Stayed one night on our way through New Mexico. The property was very well cared for. It was very clean from the lobby to the grounds and the room. Its an older place but who ever owns or runs this place takes very good care of it. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was good and the waitress was helpful to everyone who came in. The property is close to the train tracks and the train does blow its horn as it passes by but even with that I would stay here again.

"Great location off the Interstate"

GreasyCookies, Alvin, Texas 10/04/2017

Room was large and comfy. Very hot water and plenty room in the bathroom. Great free breakfast. Pet friendly with plenty of space to walk your dog. Our dogs loved the grounds. "Good stay!"

rajo2go, Minneapolis, Minnesota 09/04/2017

Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated in SW theme and well appointed. Easy access to getting around town. Love being able to bring my dog and close areas to walk him and feel safe. Breakfast is standard BW breakfast.

Tom57ski, Clarksville, Indiana 08/04/2017

I got a deal on one of the discount websites. We stayed two nights, room was fine, clean, shower and bathroom we're fine. Breakfast buffet included sausage eggs gravy and biscuits, and all the company fruit and cereal and juice and coffee. Staff was super helpful and friendly. But after getting a good rate we still had to pay the 20% tourist tax, or thereabouts. Would definitely recommend this hotel

"For the price, what a vert pleasant surprise!"

Roger B, Niagara Falls, Canada 04/04/2017

Well, after paying Holiday Inn Express prices and Hampton Inn prices, we thought we'd try a lower cost Motel! The experience here was great!! King Size bed, modernized bathroom, Fridge in the room, free Wi-Fi, breakfast with fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, hot biscuits and we were waited on for coffee etc. All this and a good location right off the I 10.

"As always, an excellent facility"

User 28/11/2016

I often stay at this facility when I am in the region. Quality rooms provide everything you could need, the water pressure in the shower is excellent, the food and service are both good and the staff is helpful and friendly.

"Excellent, as always"

dianetL6643VT, Calabasas, United States 28/11/2016

We often stay at BW facilities when we are out of town on business or pleasure. This facility was as good as we remember it being and everything we could possibly imagine wanting was right there in the room. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the fact that the room was an appropriate size for the beds, so nobody hand to "scrape along the wall" to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Y5563UDgaryp, Lake Havasu City, AZ, United States 24/11/2016

This place was wonderful... the decor was such that it made you feel just like you were truly in an old mission. The theme is carried from the lobby to the breakfast lounge to the rooms. Comfortable beds, great breakfast, clean, very friendly staff... and only about a 20-minute drive from the legendary Mexican restaurant in Mesilla, La Posta. The gal that looked over the breakfast was efficient and very friendly... just made our morning!

"Really good value- Priceline hooked it up! "

Aydriana C, San Francisco, California 23/11/2016

We did one of the Priceline deals where they don't tell you the hotel name until you pay and ended up with this best western. I was kind of hesitating at first because I didn't think it was going to be worth the value we paid but I was very surprised! This is the nicest best western I've ever stayed at. The furniture was all really nice and it looked as though it had been remodeled recently (as in the bathroom was actually nice!) I had a fantastic shower and I've never been able to say that about a best western before! Comfy beds, fridge in room, everything I usually ask for was there so I was really happy with the purchase and would stay here again in a heart beat!

"Great accommodations for the price!"

Stacy B, San Antonio, Texas 21/11/2016

Had a 1 night stay asking through town. Clean, comfortable bed, spacious rooms, excellent staff. Breakfast was cold and hard by 7am so that was a bummer. Overall it was a really nice place to lay our heads for a night.

"The best motel value in Las Cruces ..."

David G, Kerrville, Texas 05/11/2016

... Is this Best Western. Don't let the 1950s appearance fool you. The rooms have been nicely updated and are huge by current standards. Breakfast offers pretty standard motel fare most days, but try the Mexican food options when they appear. And, there is a server to keep your coffee cup full. Service is always friendly.

"Best Western Las Cruces, NM"

Gary S, Vancouver, United States 24/10/2016

Nice older motel. 1950's look. Clean. All of the employees were very helpful. Easy check in and check out. Good breakfast in very pleasant breakfast room. Trains across the road in front of motel. Train in middle of night. Would probably not stay here again due to train noise. Otherwise nice motel. Near freeway and tourist sites.

"Wish they would be more hotels like this!!! Great experience."

cibiem, Vienna 23/10/2016

One of the rare examples of motels/motor inns with a personality. Very spacious layout of both grounds (nicely landscaped) and rooms (southwestern decor and color scheme, high ceiling, exposed wooden beams, wooded benches in front of beds) Complimentary breakfast served in an adjacent restaurant, lots of tables and lots of space to move around breakfast area. Very friendly staff. Upon check-in we were told to pick up our breakfast coupon in the morning at front desk. Train noise: tracks on the other side of the road, so yes, we heard train noise but just around 11pm and then nothing until morning. So maybe we were just lucky with the train schedule LOL. But could be disturbing for noise sensitive guests. Size of bathroom: small compared to the more than spacious room. Breakfast area: Lighting needs improvement. Lots of space, so items placed looked almost lost, and there is room for more variety. Don't mistake me, we did not leave hungry. Overall experience: top, highly influenced by appearance of grounds and rooms away from the ordinary (me feeling is that owner cares for and is interested in preserving something that makes a difference) and comfortable breakfast area. I would be back in an instant.

"Wonderful stay"

kc03, Minnesota 22/10/2016

I loved just about everything about the Mission Inn. It's super clean and comfortable. It has loads of charm and character. The grounds are cute and well kept. The service was very friendly. It's a motor court hotel which I happen to prefer especially when staying someplace warm. It is not new but it doesn't feel worn out. I don't eat much at breakfast so I can't say how the rest of it was but the biscuits were fresh and warm! On top of all that the price was right! Only (tiny) problem was the air conditioner's ability to cool the large room, but we were never uncomfortably hot.

"Quiet and Roomie"

Brenda T, Sanger, United States 11/10/2016

The room was very quiet and spacious. I did not feel cramped at all. Breakfast was great, the food was hot and fresh. and the attendant for breakfast was very attentive and kept things clean. If ever in the area again I will most definitely stay here.

"Just a one night stay"

421unhappycamper, Tucson, Arizona 09/10/2016

We booked this hotel back in June- although the hotel looked quite old- it appeared to be nice. The description of the hotel stated that they had a restaurant and bar- this was part of the reason we selected this hotel- but when we arrived, there was no restaurant or bar.

"Great Breakfast! Very clean and great staff."

proniteguy, Sarasota, Florida 05/10/2016

This motel was the bomb for breakfast! This Best Western served lots of hot food as well as cold and grab and go foods. The rooms and food here were superior to any of the other best westerns we stayed at on our trip out west. The motel had a special dining area separate from the lobby. The motel was very quiet, the beds were great, and pillows so soft. There is a swimming pool and a business office to use the computer. This was an amazing place to stay. AAA booked this place for us at 71.99 a night.

"Older but very unique"

Jean K, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 04/10/2016

The grounds were very clean. The dining area was very clean and decorated perfect for the area. The room was large, bed was great but the room was not very clean. When we got to the room, the dresser and night stand both were sticky. I did not complain, but the next day the cleaning service asked if we needed anything and we said yes towels. Well. We got towels but she did not even make the bed. The a/c filter lite was on and needed to be changed. I finally told the front desk and they said they would make a note. But all in all, enjoyed the hotel and surrounding area.

"Great Place to Stay!!"

Linda S, Gresham, Oregon 04/10/2016

I've been on a cross-country road trip and this place is the best of all the places I've stayed. The room was huge, I loved the decor, and the grounds were very inviting. It is across the street from train tracks and I could hear the trains during the day but if any went through at night, it didn't wake me up. A full choice of hot and cold breakfast items was available and the food was good. I would definitely stay here again if I were traveling through the area.

"Nights stay "

User 01/10/2016

Friendly service when arrived from Danielle. She help us locate where we wanted to travel. Rooms clean and large. It is an older hotel. Tv channels limited. The plumbing needs to be checked. You have to hold the handle when flushing and the drain in the tub after a shower took a while to go down. View of the stars at night was good.

"Best Western Mission Inn"

gamy2016, Albuquerque, New Mexico 23/09/2016

Huge room, lots of amenities. Glad to have s microwave and a refrigerator, we used both items. Very comfortable bed. Liked the decor, the bench at end of bed was convenient. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning. Would stay there again.

"Love these hotels"

TravelGeist89, El Portal, California 22/09/2016

This Best Western isn't in the best part of town (doesn't look very safe) and it's close enough to the train tracks for you to hear it every time one goes by. Okay, that's the only negative thing I have to say about this place. The man at the font desk jumped up and unlocked the door as soon as he saw me pull up. He also noticed my military ID and applied the discount when I gave him my credit card. We had a room with 2 Queen beds and it was huge! I mean tall ceilings, large bathroom, just overall very spacious. The whole place, including the rooms is decorated in western theme too so it's really cute. Room was clean but the AC unit didn't seem to be able to cool down the large space. Breakfast was good as well. Nice mix of pastries and hot food like bacon, eggs and biscuits. Very friendly staff too

"summer vacation"

""Train Kept a Rolling All Night Long""

jwawker, Atlanta, Georgia 16/09/2016

First, the positives: 1) Great landscaping, grounds immaculate 2) Room a departure from the usual cookie-cutter motel room layout, with southwestern decor and a definite personality 3) Comfortable bed Ok, now the negatives: 1) Motel directly across street from active train tracks, long freight trains with the whistle blowing rumbled by several times at night. There are many people who can live right next to train tracks and sleep like a baby; I am not one of them. 2) Air conditioner recessed into a space that did not keep the room cool, bathroom and dressing area receive no air conditioned air at all, at least with my room layout. 3) Nice TV wasted by no HD reception provided 4) Wi fi connection was bad; had to use my own data to stay connected 5) Took a shower; tub would not drain, had to bail water from the tub using a cup 6) Not your typical free motel breakfast. It is actually a restaurant for everyone. "Waitress(?)" informed me I had to get a ticket from the front desk, and she was there to provide my coffee and to take my trash. Seems silly to me. And I would not eat there if I were not staying there; average at best.

"Great place to stay."

Lisa T, Moreno Valley, United States 12/09/2016

The hotel room was a nice size, the bed very comfortable and the water pressure was good. These are all important things I look for in other reviews. The only thing I would tell travelers is to bring your own pillow. The pillows were squishy ones and I prefer a firm pillow. I always bring my own pillow but this time I forgot to. Also, the breakfast was very good. They offered eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, waffles, yogurt and fruit.

"Great room. Excellent service."

Jeffrey W, Green Valley, Arizona 04/09/2016

Our room was large, very nicely appointed and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room resembles a nice restaurant. Food is the usual buffet, while offee is served at your table. Scrambled eggs were moist, not allowed to sit and dry out. We paid slightly more than we wanted, but it was worth it.

"Best Western Mission Inn Las Cruces - great place to stay"

Susan V, Tucson, United States 29/08/2016

Staff was very nice and the hotel and grounds were very clean, especially the pet area in the middle of the hotel grounds. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Las Cruces. In fact, I'm trying to find a reason to visit just so I can stay here !

"Quite comfortable"

User 25/08/2016

Hotel was clean, Pool was refreshing, There was no road noise of any type, Had a great overall stay, Great location centered in las Cruces, !5 minutes to either side of town, Restraunts all close by, #0 minutes to white sands, Very nice court yard.

"Nice clean large rooms"

RingJim, Roseville, California 18/08/2016

This double queen room was very spacious and clean. We had some flying bugs to deal with that came in when bringing in luggage but not fault of the motel. The towel rack in the bathroom was so close to the toilet (directly overhead!) that I hit my head on it when standing up. There is plenty of room in the bathroom, so relocating the towel rack before someone really hurts themselves is highly suggested. The nice lady who ran the breakfast room was very friendly and welcoming. She went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for breakfast and provided refills for our coffee. This was a nice way to start the day. All in all a recommended place to stay!

"Real wood furniture in a world of particle board and plastic hotels."

User 17/08/2016

Real wood furniture in a world of particle board and plastic hotels. Several antique Spanish/Mission pieces in room and in the dinning area. Great stay and a great change from most hotels. If you visit, take a good look at the old doors that have been converted to tables (decorative not dinning) in the dinning area. Those doors are probably 200 to 300 years old. Bathroom vanity is hand laid tile like the 1930's.

"Quaint Classy Hotel"

Tamara R, Carlsbad 17/08/2016

If you like the ambience of New Mexico, you will love this hotel! The rooms were absolutely charming. They were very clean and had wonderful AC units. The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly, a great way to end a day of driving. The breakfast is included and was REALLY good. We would definitely stay here again. Such a great value!

"Good Place to Stay"

sshepher, Stanley, New Mexico 15/08/2016

This is a good clean and relaxing place to stay. The room was very nice, Wi-Fi worked well, and the pool is great. The common area outside is nice enough that people sat at the picnic tables, used the available BBQ, and enjoyed the nice weather.

"Best Western Las Cruces, NM"

Huey J, Houston, United States 11/08/2016

This hotel was clean and well located. The staff was very friendly. The included breakfast was very good. My only issue with this hotel is that both the lobby and my hotel room had an old, musty smell. The hotel being older also had outdated and drab décor.

"Great service"

User 31/07/2016

The staff there are very professional and very friendly and help you when you need it. Especially Danny and Allan from front desk and Alexandra from the cafeteria from the hotel. Great work from them for going above and beyond in excellent costumer service.

"Worst Best?"

davmelw, Sanford, Florida 27/07/2016

Sadly this is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. From the confusion at the front desk (although Tiffany was very Profesional and pleasant) to an empty parking lot but no rooms on first floor, to very very very old and dilapidated structure as well as doors that won't open and AC that is not getting cold... floor that are uneven and look and sound like a piece of carpet on a sheet of plywood. I hope I find good breakfast in the AM will make this rating worth the 2 stars. Pool was nice for the kids.

"Good hotel to make quick stop"

Rebecca K, Pinon Hills, California 24/07/2016

We stopped after a very long day on the road. It was clean and comfortable. Average accommodations for a best western. Free breakfast was ok. Wifi was sluggish as is usual in these hotels. Did have a hard time finding a parking spot.

"One night stay"

GGFamily03, San Antonio, Texas 19/07/2016

The hotel location is not close to restaurants. Their breakfast is good. We stay one night. The room door was very hard to open from outside as well as from the inside of tne room. Their hospitality was nice.

"Good Hotel Good Services"

Ha D, Seattle 11/07/2016

We stay in this hotel for 4 nights vacation in Las Cruses New Mexico. We have no complaint. The price is reasonable and the services are good. I just make 1 suggestion as if the breakfast can be changed different each day so it will not be the same every day.

"Best Western is where you need it."

Manuel T, San Antonio, United States 06/07/2016

This hotel offers an excellent location for the weary traveler. The quality of service, the safety of the location makes it a great place to stop on your travels. Nearby gasoline service stations make it easy to refill and go on your business expeditiously.

"Fantastic Value!!!"

VJIrvine, Irvine, California 04/07/2016

This is our second stay at the Mission Inn Best Western in Las Cruces. I booked it again this year after a great experience last year, and was glad I did! The hotel is older, but very well maintained and cared for, and the charm of a motor-court style hotel amid the high rises we are accustomed to, cannot be overstated. It is clean, comfortable and a terrific value. It will be our choice for lodging any time we are in the area.

"Good for One Night"

User 03/07/2016

This motel is in a pretty decent location, close to restaurants and I-25. The reception on the tv is fuzzy. Beds were ok. Parking spaces are limited. A/C was loud, had a funky smell. One thing I noticed that drove me crazy was that everything in the room is square! Tiles, Windows, tv, light fixtures....

"Spacious rooms, great breakfast, and quiet"

Susan A, The Woodlands, United States 29/06/2016

The rooms were spacious and quaintly decorated. Clean, comfortable, great value, and quiet. You can park right in front of your room so it is easy to load and unload your car. We spent one night here while on a road trip. Would definitely stop here again.

"Great Hotel"

User 27/06/2016

Had to put my dad in rehab hospital for hip surgery so needed a place to stay at the last minute. This hotel is a retro motor inn....2 stories, pool in a nice courtyard in the middle. We selected a king size bed and the room was HUGE! Good size bathroom and separate dressing area. Southwest decor with a nice bench at foot of bed to put on your shoes or store your suitcase. Floor to Ceiling windows for light if you want it...older but clean and comfy. The Lobby is beautiful with many southwest touches. The breakfast area looks like a restaurant with tables, they bring coffee to your table and are quick with the refills. They have a great buffet--We had biscuits, gravy, sausage links, scrambled eggs and they have the waffle machine as well as many other selections. Super nice ladies help you with anything you need. Desk staff was awesome. i would definitely stay here again and it is close to downtown. This may be a little older but this is definitely a great place to stay. I loved it.

User 25/06/2016

Just came in for the night. The room was clean. Pretty safe area. However, the surrounding area at night can be questionable if you're looking for a late snack or wanting to go have a night out on the town. Continental breakfast was tasty. Awesome service! If I happen to be passing through and need a place to stay for the night, I would stay here again.

"Old Style motel"

Wilbert H, Lago Vista, United States 20/06/2016

The grounds were clean and shaded with trees and a nice pool. Our room was large and clean, but the bathroom (tub with shower and toilet) was very small. The vanity was outside the bathroom and was large. The a/c was loud and the microwave was sitting on top of the refrigerator which rattled when the frig was running. That was a little annoying until you got to sleep.

"We visited Las Cruces, NM for an event our grandchildren were in"

Marilyn H, Lubbock, Texas 17/06/2016

this is the second time we have stayed at this particular motel. It is convenient to the mall and to Old Mesilla. Our room was very large with typical Southwestern furniture, which I liked as I was born and reared in Albuquerque, NM. The bathroom was a decent size with the vanity outside of the bathing area. The room was clean and the bedding was excellent. It has a hot breakfast furnished in an restaurant atmosphere. It was very quiet. It has an outdoor pool, but wasn't open for the season yet. We will stay here again.

"Good stopping point in Las Cruces"

bowkids16, Denver, Colorado 17/06/2016

Older property with a lot of history. Well constructed rooms that are large and have been renovated but have a few minor warts (toilet valve leaking so it periodically refilled). AC blows cold and beds are comfortable. Great value for the price.

"Nice place to stay after a long drive."

Joy L, Rancho Cucamonga, California 15/06/2016

We drove 10 hrs straight and just want to rest .An hour from the Las Cruces we callled the hotel and booked an overnight stay. The room was so big compared to other hotels. It's an old hotel but extremely clean. Buffet breakfast served early and very convenient if you travel early. The staff are very courteous and helpful to our needs.

"A Jewel of a motel, Great Stay!"

Frances O, Mesa, Arizona 15/06/2016

An older style motel that has been very well maintained and is a wonderful place to stay. Large rooms, perfectly clean and really neat older western style furnishings. And wait until you see the 'breakfast' room! It had to had been a really nice restaurant years ago, western furnishings and the food spread was excellent. The Staff was outstanding. I will be back.

"Clean, Quiet, Good Value"

SCTraveler2011, San Clemente, California 14/06/2016

This is a nice basic motel and an excellent value for the money in Las Cruces. Clean room, clean pool. Not a great location, but good enough. Very nice free breakfast, fast internet. I was not disappointed in any way, and recommend it!

"As Expected"

Dave7373737, Monterey, California 10/06/2016

The motel is aging and shows it, but delivers on it's promise of a decent place to stay on a short term basis. There are no elevators so if mobility is a problem make sure to ask for a 1st floor room. The reasonable price ensures that you will have lots of company in adjoining rooms during your stay.

"Relaxing get away!"

George P, Lordsburg, United States 06/06/2016

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. We keep going back to it because the rooms are spacious and clean. Also it is very quiet and peaceful there. The breakfasts are wonderful too! The beds are very comfortable!

"Just an overnight stay"

Jane A, Lindsay, California 01/06/2016

Convenient location for a traveler; a little off the freeway but very easy to get to. The rooms are clean and very large. The furniture is beautiful and makes the room feel homey. Staff was very friendly. I was having trouble completing the reservation on my phone from the car so when I finished, I called the hotel. The young man who answered was very helpful and very courteous as was the man who was on the desk when we checked in. I would definitely stay here again.

"Good Quality all around"

John P, Santa Fe 31/05/2016

This is a quality Motel situated in a convenient location (near I-10) and other conveniences like restaurants and sighs in La Mesilla. The rooms were comfortable, altho Microwave did not work. Windows open so one can get some welcome fresh air. Room was spacious and well decorated. We missed the weather channel on the TV, but it was always hot and dry. What is there to know??!

"Beautiful Clean Rooms"

Brenda G, Nevada, United States 30/05/2016

The rooms are large, clean and there is beautiful artwork. The property is clean and kept very well. I really appreciate the outdoor space. Some of the staff is not friendly or helpful. Breakfast is only served until 09:00

"Comfortable Stay in BW Las Cruzes"

Uwe S, Freyung, Germany 28/05/2016

It was a comfortable stay in the Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruzes. Staff was friendly, room was big and clean. Brealfast was good too - with hot things also. Internet is ok, but not very fast - but enough to send emails.

"Clean and quiet"

Kelly J, Austin, United States 24/05/2016

Nice clean and quiet hotel. Stayed here several times and find it an economical selection with large rooms and clean bathrooms. My only complaint and it is a minor one.... the bed is not as soft as mine at home.

"Great Place to stay"

Laurel D, Apple Valley, CA, United States 24/05/2016

Very good location, close to the fwy. Nice appearance, clean and very nice staff. They were also very helpful. Refrigerator and microwave in the room was a PLUS! Great location for small dogs. Bed could have been a little softer. Overall a nice stay.

"On our way to Tombstone, AZ"

Maria L, Laredo 23/05/2016

It was a very good night stay. Everything was good, far above from what I expected. Must come and see for yourself. The breakfast was buffet had a little of everything. A marvelous experience. Had nothing I could complain off. The price was very reasonable.

"Old School hotel"

Karl L, Santa Barbara, United States 19/05/2016

I like the smaller hotels that you can drive up to your front door. And if it is a BEST WESTERN you know everything is perfect. They take these older hotels that have character and do there magic to make them very comfortable.

"graduation nmsu"

User 17/05/2016

A very nice facility with an outstanding staff of dedicated people. Conveniently located to most attractions of Las Cruces and Old Messila as well as the University. Outdoor pool is well maintained, and, proved refreshing on hot days.

"Hotel under renovation, friendly staff"

Seiderjps, Fort Worth, Texas 01/05/2016

The Mission Inn is a great place to stop, if you are traveling on I-10. It is close to the highway, and it is close to Mesilla's plaza, where there are lots of restaurants. The breakfast was quite good, and the server was super friendly. The rooms are very large. I noticed that they are renovating the rooms on the other side of the parking lot. My only complaint was the stale smell coming from the A/C unit.

"I keep coming back"

ricardo66blue, Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States 28/04/2016

I should start by saying I've stayed at this place dozens of times in the past 15+ years, and I keep coming back. That should say a lot, but here are some details that may be more helpful. First, the rooms are big for a motel of this type . . . very comfortable. There are many touches that distinguish this from the typical sterile, mass-manufactured chain hotels. For example, it has lots of hand-painted tile, and the walls are hand-plastered, which give it a warm feel. It has been well-maintained and updated over the years, through at least one change of ownership. It does have some minor flaws that might be expected with an older property, but, to me, they are insignificant and do not distract from my sense of being in my "Las Cruces home." It is consistently clean. One thing I should mention, in case it's more important to you than to me. Most motels in Las Cruces seem to be either by the interstate highway or by the railroad tracks. This one is by the tracks, which means that every now and then, it may sound like a freight train is about to charge into your room. I grew up next to train tracks, so it doesn't bother me, but if you prefer interstate hum, be forewarned. The 'free breakfast' is a good deal, but it's hard to compete with some of the local eateries nearby.

"Best stay over in a cross country trip"

AlanTucson, Tucson 18/04/2016

Nothing we saw and enjoyed came close to this fabulous place. We were greeted by a congenial and helpful person named Danny. He set the tone for our stay. The room was very large and beautifully appointed. The bed was excellent. After a great nights rest we were pleasantly surprised by a wonderful breakfast. Not only was the food tasty and well prepared, there was also a warm, sweet hostess who made sure our coffee stayed fresh and any other needs taken care of. (Wish I could remember her name). All in all a wonderful experience.

"Mission Inn is great"

Mary L, San Angelo, TX, United States 13/04/2016

Enjoyed our stay at the Mission Inn. Staff is very helpful, personable and professional. Room was quiet and clean. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and the coffee great. I would recommend this motel and will return again when in the area.

"Large room"

User 11/04/2016

We stayed at Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruces, NM for 2 nights this month. We had a large room and a comfortable bed. There was a train nearby, but the noise was minimal. The hotel was nearly full but the guests were quiet and respectful.

"Excellent room for a reasonable price"

MidwestTraveller89, Atlanta, Georgia 06/04/2016

I should preface this review by saying this was a "nostalgia trip." My family stayed at this motel several times in the 1950's while my dad was supervising test launches at White Sands Missile Range. I was happy to see they've thoroughly updated the place while retaining its charm. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable - and we could open the windows. (That's very important to my wife.) It's close to Old Town Mesilla and relatively close to White Sands. It's a typical chain motel, no frills, but nice. The free breakfast was very good - which seems to be standard for the Best Western chain.

"Very comfortable!"

Marilyn H, Desert Hot Springs, California 05/04/2016

This is an older but apparently renovated motel. Decor is very pleasant, bed is extremely comfortable, staff are welcoming, wifi is free and works well. Not far from restaurants (I went to Applebee's and it was excellent). Not far off the highway. Lots of good parking close to unit.

"Weekend in Las Cruces"

User 04/04/2016

Stayed a Friday and Saturday night. There was no funny smell upon entering the room. Beds looked so clean and comfortable. For some reason the wood makes it very inviting. Heater and cooler not located under the windows which may be a reason that the heater was needed only for a short while and I did not feel really hot. Just right. I felt things were very clean and slept like a champ all night long despite the train, which I only noticed twice before falling asleep. Very nice, clean, and comfortable stay. Breakfast was good. Wished I had gotten up earlier in order to eat a little more and more calmly.

"best ever"

Dennis H, United States 04/04/2016

this is the best hotel we have stayed in. we travel on a motorcycle and stay in 40 - 50 hotels a year.. without a doubt the best. the employees were very well dressed and first class in the way they act. the lady in the kitchen was super, she kept coming by to see if we needed anything and fill up my coffee tables and checking food items. loved this hotel.

"Western Vibe"

marianne c, Huntsville, Alabama 03/04/2016

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Las Cruces. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff. Everything you want on a road trip! A quick jaunt off the freeway for a quiet nights rest was well worth the short drive! Nice western ambience in the lobby and rooms. Would stay again.

"Comfortable and value for money!"

User 26/03/2016

Clean and comfortable, moreover value for money. I love the welcoming staffs and hot breakfast! I stayed here for a visit to the white sand monument. It's 50 minutes drive to the monument so good location to see both sunrise and sunset. Strongly recommend!

"Remains a repeat stop"

L Donald L, Scottsdale, Arizona 23/03/2016

I found this place several years ago and it remains a favored stop on my cross country drives. An older facility with large rooms and windows for natural light at the rear. It is decorated in a classic southwest style in the rooms and lobby. The staff remains professional and pleasant.Easy access on and off IR 10. Aduquate dining a very short drive away. .

"excellent stay"

Mathews79, Pearland, Texas 20/03/2016

we stayed at six different hotels during this road trip and this hotel was the best. our room was on the second floor at the far end. it was very spacious and done well. there were two bathrooms, which was very helpful for us. the waitress (i think her name was Tiffany) was very courteous and nice. the only negative was no indoor pool. i highly recommend it and will stay again travelling this route.

"Old but redone well."

Donald H, San Antonio, Texas, United States 17/03/2016

The Best Eestern Mission Inn has been redone and it is nicely done with great beds and linens. Unfortunately you can't overcome the dated building and room designs. It also is significant when a train comes by across the road. Service personnel were friendly and a hot breakfast which is included helps a lot. For the price of the room and convenience to I-10 it is a good deal. We will choose it again when we need a good bed for one night on our way to Scottsdale.

"Nice Accoomodations"

CinciVick, Cincinnati 16/03/2016

Very nice, large room. We would stay here again, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were a bit surprised when a train passed behind our room, but it was just about 9 pm. If this is a concern, you might want to ask for a room not in front of the tracks. The other thing is that most of the restaurants on this side of town were Chinese or fast food. Las Cruces is not that big, so this was not a huge issue, but we were tired after a long day and didn't feel like looking to hard. I do rate the International Delights Cafe where we ate in another review.

"Nice place"

Damien T, Council Bluffs, Iowa 16/03/2016

I enjoyed my stay. The room could be a little cleaner, but I'm ex military so you know. There is a coffee shop close. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is : Need a 4 cup coffee maker, and pillow tops on mattress. Staff is great, friendly & professional. For the whinny person that complained about the trains, there was only 2 one at 19:00 7pm, and 21:30 9:30pm quiet the rest of the night.

"If You Like Train Noise . . ."

timdks, KC 12/03/2016

then this is a hotel for you. We arrived on February 29 after dark, based on the GPS routing and didn't see any of the surrounding area. Our first train experience was at 8:39pm. Loud. Hoping that that was the last train for the night. Not so. Next train roared by at 10:41pm. Maybe this was the last. It was until 3:14am when we were awaken by another train. Wish someone would have written a review to include this annoyance, and we would have picked another hotel. Check-in was another sore spot with me. I was given the third degree, even needing my license plate number. Who asks for a license plate number into today's world? This hotel does. Said they checked on them periodically to see that only those cars that were registered were parking overnight. Good news is they didn't ask for my finger prints overtly. The room had been rehabbed, but the toilet was placed so close to the paper dispenser, against the wall, and behind the door that it wasn't a pleasant experience (see picture). Otherwise the room was in good shape. The breakfast the following morning was good, and it was nice to sit by the window and look across the street at the train track. You have now been warned about the train noise. Select this property at your own peril.

"Las Cruces instead of El Paso"

Thomas P, Libertyville, Illinois, United States 26/02/2016

We used to stay in El Paso during our annual trip west. We found Las Cruces to be much nicer and easier to get around, Mission Inn BW was a pleasant surprise. Big rooms with plenty of outlets for phones and computer and tablets, Large bath and good size flay-screen.

"Pleasant Stay"

ConsumerMike, Newbury Park, California 25/02/2016

Nice motel. Breakfast was very good with plenty of tables and great ambiance - relaxing, BUT does not stay open longer on weekends. Toilet would not fluss so I had to request a plunger to get things moving. Overall, nice motel and, yes, I would stay here again.

"Best Hotel stay"

Thomas F, El Paso, Texas 11/02/2016

Great service and accommodations. The train can wake you up when you least expected. The amenities are great, as is the service. The breakfast is wonderful , especially on weekends. My parents and I love to stay here.

"Greatest Motel in Las Cruces"

Thomas F, El Paso, Texas 09/02/2016

Good food, great service , My parents & I love the accommodations. The only place My parents and I stay when they're tired and don't want to drive back to el Paso. The staff is friendly and very courteous.

"Large King Room"

Richard S, Kitscoty 04/02/2016

Great value we booked online with the BW app using the AAA Discount and Gold club membership. Our King room on the second level was larger than most rooms and distinctively decorated. The bed was comfortable lots of place to hang clothing and as a nice touch there is a wooden bench at the foot of the bed. The WiFi was excellent. Hot breakfast is included in the rate.

"Renovated Rooms"

Claude B, Albuquerque 03/02/2016

Older Hotel, but our room was renovated, interesting decor in the room, large clean room, good bedding. The lobby and breakfast area look like an old mission. The front desk person for check in and check out was very friendly (both). The breakfast employees were very efficient and courteous.

LiveLifeWashington, Anguilla 01/02/2016

Expedia ad showed a restaurant and lounge on site (WRONG), front desk said it needs to be updated. Expedia had messed up the reservation and it took 2 hours on the phone to get it straight. Room is a mix of old and new, front part of room is nice, but it ends there, little towels, mismatched and old drapes (RIPPED), the windows do not lock in our room or in the bathroom (locks are broken ). No, will not stay here again! DO NOT APPRECIATE OLD INFO AND DID NOT WANT TO HAVE TO DRIVE AND LOOK FOR A PLACE TO EAT!!!!

"excellent hotel"

Jorge C, las cruces, United States 28/01/2016

The exterior of the hotel looked a little old. Looks are deceiving because staff was friendly and prompt to provide the room. The room was clean and inviting with a southern decor. The stay was comforting and was able to relax.

"Huge, modern rooms"

User 27/01/2016

Stayed there overnight Jan 17, 2016. Older motel but rooms very clean, very large, nicely decorated with high ceilings and painted beams. TV, fridge, microwave all very modern. Good internet. Good breakfast. Only negative was the railroad across the street but only two trains came by during our stay. Highly recommend Mission Inn. Grand Junction, CO

"Great stay"

crandall6049, Great Valley, New York 26/01/2016

Booked through Expedia and we were pleasantly surprised. Room was large, clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Helpful and very nice people working there. They provided information about the area. We would stay again.

"2nd Stay at BW Mission Inn - Very Good Accomodations"

travelerfun01, Prairieville, Louisiana 23/01/2016

We stayed at the BW Mission Inn in 2014 and it didn't disappoint. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and quiet. We requested a 1st floor room this time with no problem, as they were happy to oblige. Friendly staff and wonderful free hot breakfast included. If every passing thru Las Cruses again we will stay here.

"Best Western, Mission Inn, NM"

Peter G, Sechelt, Bc, Canada 22/01/2016

Enjoyed staying at the B-W Mission Inn, it has a very nice spacious setting and the rooms are well furnished. The central location of the Motel gave us easy access to the City. We had a nice relaxing stay at the Motel.

"New Mexican charm but needs improvement"

cheryl s, Fishers, Indiana 20/01/2016

Large room with nice furnishing and layout. Could not exit room because deadbolt would not move, had to exit thru window. Hotel staff had to enter same way. Very dangerous. Bitten by spider in bedding. Staff cordial. Breakfast nice.

"Not as good as other Best Western properties"

CindyC8484, Frederick, Maryland 19/01/2016

Bathtub was very slippery - the non-slip strips were completely ineffective and deceived me into thinking that I could take a step. Traintracks are very close and the whistle woke me up every night about 2 am. Breakfast buffet was bare minimum - no microwave to cook oatmeal, butter was rock hard, had to bug the waitress to get decaf. Price was pretty low, so it illustrates the point that you get what you pay for.

"Mission Inn - great place to stay in Las Cruces"

Rick R, Regina, Canada 18/01/2016

Spent five nights at the Mission Inn - is located close to the University and Mesilla (within a few miles). The rooms are large and comfortable (they are currently being refreshed / redone). The staff are friendly and the hotel amenities are good (breakfast buffet is good). The hotel is pet friendly. Would highly recommend.

"Very Nice Hotel"

DuWayne S, Galesburg, Illinois 14/01/2016

Nicely remodeled rooms. The staff was very friendly and gave me some good directions to local eating establishment. Breakfast was better than your typical best westerns. Most importantly the room was super clean. I like the feeling of walking into a room knowing its very clean. Two thumbs up to the housekeepers.

User 11/01/2016

Good- comfortable bed, nice breakfast( only from 6 to 9).No hot water to make your oatmeal - you have to ask for it! At 9 o'clock exactly all the food was taken away! Plus when you get the free breakfast card at the front desk it says please don't forget about your server, what server ??? There was no server - just a person who takes care of the buffet. Bad- we stayed in " renovated room" with 30 years old faucets and bath tub, very poorly done tile work, great towels- very thin and grey( definitely need new ones). NO VENT in the bathroom (had to open the old window when was cold out). The furniture was really old and worn out with a really CREEPY MIRROR BEHIND THE TV OVERLOOKING THE BED !!! I felt like somebody was watching me and my husband from the other room ,like an interrogation room at the police station. REALLY LOUD TRAIN A COUPLE TIMES A NIGHT ! NOT GOING TO STAY OR RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. I've stayed in hotels with 2 ?? rating that looked and felt way better than this "3 ???" hotel. Forgot to mention the trailer park across the street. Did I mention about the train? It goes by a couple times a night.

"Not Up to BW Standards"

David T, Williams, AZ, United States 26/12/2015

Took awhile to find this place, in a rather run down neighborhood. The room was not bad, just kind of bare bones. I would have given it three stars if the neighborhood had been nicer. I won't stay here again.

"Mission Inn delivers again"

s3production, Whittier, California 23/12/2015

stopped by again as it the half way point on my trip the only place in Las Cruces that I have stayed or plan on staying never had any issues or problems nor would expect any will return to stay on the way back great hot breakfast love the waffles

"A Superior Hotel"

User 11/12/2015

The Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruces surpassed our expectations. The grounds are immaculate; our room was large & the bed, comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise. Not only is a cheerful staff member on hand to provide refills & keep the tables clear, but the buffet was constantly restocked with fluffy biscuits, scrambled eggs & sausages, much better fare than you usually find with a free motel breakfast. The location is very handy, both to the interstate, historic old Mesilla & downtown Las Cruces. We were happy to enjoy two nights at the hotel, even though the pool was closed for the season.

"Knights of Columbus Meeting"

User 10/12/2015

Older motel, but well maintained. Rooms were good sized, bedding was clean and comfortable with a western feel. The staff were friendly and professional. In addition to being reasonably priced the breakfast and coffee were good. Great value!

"Two LOUD trains in the middle of the night"

Winger07, Albuquerque 09/12/2015

This hotel would have a higher rating except for the LOUD train noise - twice in one night. The first time it happened, it sounded like the train was coming through the room. We arrived late at night and didn't notice the train tracks across the road. Overall, it was a large room with two comfortable queen beds. The pillows are lumpy as someone mentioned and need to be replaced. Loved the two suitcase racks. Most places only provide one. The lamps on the desk and bedside table provided great light with multiple plugs for all the electronics that needed charging. I always like seeing the sink and vanity area separate from the toilet and shower area so two people can get ready more quickly. Breakfast was good - scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage links and cold cereal and fruit. The in-room refrigerator was quite loud so I turned it down to 1 setting so it wouldn't cycle on and off. Friendly staff at the front desk on check-in and getting breakfast coupons. Free Wi-Fi worked well.

"This is the place to stay!"

lonestarlizard, Austin, Texas 07/12/2015

On this trip west, we stopped in Las Cruces instead of El Paso. It's only 30 miles or so up the I-10 and gets us away from all the bustle of EP. I am glad we chose the Mission Inn for our overnight stay. Tifaney checked us in with a smile and a professional manner. We were off to room 203 in a flash. These rooms are large; don't see many like this in the newer hotels unless you opt for a suite. The king bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of chairs available and the room and bath area were fresh and clean. Everything worked and we had no issues at all. We ate that night at Chillito's just down the road on South Valley Drive and enjoyed the food and service. Breakfast the next morning was good with a limited but well prepared selection of hot and cold items to choose from. Hotel guests receive a voucher from the front desk for the morning meal. A very friendly attendant takes good care of the morning diners. She was constantly checking on our coffee and any other needs. After breakfast we packed up and checked out with John at the front desk. He asked about our room and stay and wished us a safe trip on to Yuma. This is a great place to stay when you are headed west on I-10. Away from all the traffic, noise and hustle of El Paso, Las Cruces and the BW Mission Inn are just the ticket.

"Hotel with a Great View."

Ronald E, Holdrege, United States 03/12/2015

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It had a great view of the mountains. It had real character and was a great place for our stay. Room was very clean with many amentiies and a great friendly atmosphere.

"Rooms with no chairs"

Cynthia M, Corrales, United States 30/11/2015

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the last ten years. The staff, as usual, was excellent. We had not visited for three years, and the condition of the rooms continues to deteriorate over time. The sign in the lobby announces 'renovation', but that does not excuse filthy worn carpets and no chairs in the room. There's a nice desk and a well-lit vanity, but no place to sit and use them! Upon returning to the front desk, Jeff, who is an outstanding staff member, had a chair delivered within 20 minutes.

"Great Find"

Thomas S, East Grand Forks, United States 29/11/2015

Very nice motel built in 1946. Large rooms with comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast was wonderful with many selections in a beautiful restaurant setting! We would definitely stay there again. They were in the process of remodeling the rooms.

"best western mission inn"

Progolfer61, Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas 29/11/2015

we have stayed here 3 times and it has always been pleasant . location is a little far from restaurants about 5 to 10 minutes. We have never used the pool as it was too cold and was closed for season.

"Ok.....not nearly as good as stated"

Mary H, Ca 28/11/2015

Old hotel....dreary...thick new paint everywhere. Room was clean...door lock needed repair....beds okay...pillows lumpy....towels thin and grey. Need new towels for sure. Lighting in the room dim. Breakfast plentiful and good. Staff nice and helpful. Next stay in the area will be in another hotel.

"Quality and excellence"

User 21/11/2015

This is the only placde in Las Cruses that I will stay at because of the service received. Everything there is first rate. I have been staying there wherever I have gone to New Mexico because It's easy to fined, within my budget and the service received is always top quatity.

"Very Spacious"

User 20/11/2015

Best Western Mission Inn has large rooms with King beds. The property is clean and the staff quite helpful. The rooms are arranged motel style around a central courtyard which provides good security. The morning breakfast included more items than is typical and the dining area was quite nice. A good place to stay....a good value.

"Retro regal"

L. V, Austin, United States 18/11/2015

I love the ambience of this hotel. It's modern and clean, but the feel is retro. The central courtyard, the ample tile shelves and available surface areas, and the pet friendly atmosphere make it some place we would return to.

"Mission Inn Las Cruces"

Sus1967, Henderson, Nevada 17/11/2015

One night stop on a road trip. Great stay. Mission Inn Las Cruces has large clean rooms close to lots of restaurants. Stayed in Van Horn on the way and it was horrible. We were not able to sample the free breakfast, but the dining area is large and very pretty.

"Terrible Check In Procedure"

Keith H, San Diego, United States 13/11/2015

I was surprised that the front desk person, Adam check in clerk, insisted he must see and keep information on my driver's license. He took down the digits and inputted into the hotel computer. He then took my credit card and swiped it for payment. He also insisted on my car license plate number and claimed he needed it to keep tabs on who was parked. This property was far from full and I am not sure why they need the make, model and then license plate number. Here is the issue I have with this process. First, I guaranteed my room via my Best Western frequent traveler account, which stated that I would be charged a night if I showed up or not. It also has all my contact information. Therefore, all he needed to do was verify my id and credit card number. Second, why did he need my license plate number when the property was far from full. This property also did not have security on the property and I did not see someone walk around and checking license plate numbers against a list. I suggest that management consider what they are asking customer and also consider that driver's license and vehicle license plate information to be confidential. I hope they keep this information safe from hackers?

""Spanish Mission Close to Old Mesilla Village""

AcaSusie, Acapulco, Mexico 07/11/2015

This is an old Spanish looking hotel. The rooms are large and very clean also with the spanish decor. Our room had a microwave, refrigerator. The Breakfast was in a dinning room with service to your table a plus. They have a large selection of hot and cold breakfast very good. The staff and help were are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Outdoor pool.

"Great Stay at Mission Inn"

Patricia D, Albuquerque, United States 04/11/2015

This is an out-of-the-way quiet, attractive hotel. It is decorated in the lovely design of an old Spanish mission. My only complaint is the pidgins that spent the night in the tree over my car - but the hotel staff went out of their way to get some paper towels to help clean my windshield. The hotel is in an area that used to be the center of town, but In Las Cruces nothing is far from anywhere else. It was a nice stay.

"Best Western Las Cruzes New Mexico"

Norman B, Wheeling, United States 04/11/2015

Much nicer than it first appears. Older property. Outside was extremely well taken care of. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Furniture was oversized and looked like the Old West. Could be updated. Colors in room too dark, would look better in lighter shades I would stay again, Nice hotel, nice people. Breakfast room is not only attractive, but food was very good and a wonderful lady working thre.

"Worst stay in the history of hotel stays."

Linx73, New Mexico 03/11/2015

I picked this hotel because it wasnt far from the location of my business meetings. I checked in about midnight and cancelled the rest of my reservations at 2am. You can hear everything going on in the room next to you. As there seemed to be three people on drugs that didnt allow me to get any sleep. It is nearly 30 days later and I have yet to receive a refund for the three nights I didnt stay. The appearance of this hotel is fine but beyond that I do not recommend staying here. Not to mention the train that is near and loud.

"Great lodging"

User 02/11/2015

This hotel was very well cared for outside and inside. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the setting was impressive. The location was good if you were coming off I-10 but was not close to the popular restaurants or the shopping mall. Hope this is enough because I need to get on with my life.

"Road trip"

Trawlergirl, York, Pennsylvania 01/11/2015

Really like this place. They are updating the rooms, but still keeping the original theme. Interesting tile and wood beams in the room. The room was larger than your average hotel room, the sink area was roomy and separate from the shower. Wi-fi was just okay. This is an old style motel without elevators, but plenty of first floor rooms so you can park right outside your door. Breakfast was good. We look for fruit, cereal, yogurt. Coffee was just okay. We liked the beds, they were firm which is what we prefer. A place I would return to if in the area.

"Las Cruces gem"

Gary B, The Villages, FL, United States 01/11/2015

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times over several years. This trip we purposely chose it for its convenient location, very spacious comfortable rooms with extra seating, generous breakfast in a restaurant setting, and nice pool grounds. We booked our room and an adjacent room for family who drove from Phoenix to meet us. Although the hotel is on a main road, it sits way back and we never heard traffic noise. It's located within a short drive of the historic La Mesilla district and restaurants also making a good choice. The staff was very courteous and helpful with all our needs. We highly recommend this hotel!

"Nice Rustic"

dgsanre, Stittsville 31/10/2015

2nd stay at this hotel. Found staff friendly, good breakfast and clean room. A bit hard to find, off the main routes. Undergoing some renovations but not disturbing. Breakfast was good with additional friendly waitress service.

"Restful night"

Cathie B, Tempe, United States 19/10/2015

After a long drive across west Texas it was a great pleasure to stop and rest in Las Cruces for the night. The room was very comfortable and allowed me to unwind. The staff was friendly, giving me directions for dinner options. Since I was traveling alone I felt very safe and secure staying at this location.

"weekend in Las Cruces"

adupuy8, Rio Rico, Arizona 18/10/2015

older property. court yard style with picnic tables. center pool. good condition. well maintained. friendly staff. good eggs and cereal type breakfast. nice dining room. fresh hot coffee. good location.

"I could live here."

Daniel L, Colorado Springs, Colorado 18/10/2015

I stay at this hotel when ever I pass though NM. Great location, clean inside and out. They were doing some remodeling/painting so most of the good parking went fast. I had some connectivity problems with wi-fi and I had to resolve the problem with the hotel ISP. One issue I always have with the sleeping quality. There are no headboards for the beds. If you are like me and like to watch TV in bed and prop up pillows against a headboard you won't be able to here.

"Know rates before hand"

Only BW in Las Cruces. Older motel but seemed well maintained. Clean. Did not try breakfast buffet. My family and I got 3 rooms. I checked in first and asked if they honored the free upgrade for Diamond members, in which the young lady said yes. I asked what the rate was and she quoted me 116, plus tax. She asked for my Diamond card and booked my room for 2 nights. Upon talking to other family members who got the 2 queen rooms (what I originally asked for), they stated that they paid about 85 dollars after taxes. I looked up the rates on line and noticed that rooms were about 73 dollars. Upon check out I informed the clerk that I had been over charged and should have had the 73 dollar rate (not including AAA discount), with the free upgrade. He informed me he could get me the rooms for 105 a night. After I insisted that this was not what I should be charged, he then lowered the rate to 73. Not sure if this was a misunderstanding upon check in, lack of training, or intentional. But, I will always check rates online before hand to make sure they are giving me the rate that I should get.

"good overnight stay"

the rooms were clean, and the property well kept. The staff were warm and welcoming. The advertised bar and restaurant are no longer in business - this was a disappointment. If you have a pet it is well received with a lawn to walk on.

"Clean but old."

When we arrived at this motel I was very disappointed by the outside of the building and the office. I didn't think it was as nice as the pictures on line portrayed. I asked the receptionist if the rooms were nice and clean, she said yes. They had a sign in the office that they are renovating their guest rooms. Our room was large and clean. Furniture was consistent with the Mission design. The bed wasn't very comfortable. Breakfast which was included in the price of the room was good and their waitress was exceptional.

"Comfy, clean and love the theme of the hotel."

Room was clean and cold, bed was comfy and pillows were fluffy. Love the western theme of the rooms with the wooden beems and hand crafted wood chairs. We have used this hotel twice for concerts and we love it will continue to use it again and again whenever we need a room in Las Cruces!

"Solid hotel; always inexpensive"

I started booking this hotel on Priceline because I can almost guarantee they'll accept my bid on the ":name your own price" tool. Not disappointed at all; an older hotel that has been remodeled and updated. Comfortable rooms, good service, hot full breakfast buffet. What's not to like for the price?

"Retro and Authentic"

Brings a general feel of different cultures through there interior design, sculptures and pictures all through out the main office and rooms. I felt really at home while at this place, and i would choose to stay here again.
