"Great location, friendly service"

13/07/2018

The Best Western Plus/Cedar Bluff in Knoxville, TN is conveniently located for eating and shopping and only 15 minutes from Market Square. There was a restaurant guide in the room and the desk staff was very friendly upon check in. My kids really enjoyed the inground, outdoor pool. After all the time in the car, the exercise room was a life saver! The double queen bedroom was spacious. The shower pressure was exceptional! (Something you don't find in every hotel.) Breakfast is included, and this is the first hotel I've seen with almond milk as a breakfast option. As an almond milk fan, I was happy.

"Just off the Interstate with restaurants within walking distance for all tastes!"

"Overnight stop on way to Smokys"

I checked out this hotel on TripAdvisor when we getting close to where we wanted to stop for the night. I already had decided I was going to call them but had picked up some brochures at the Tennessee welcome center. There was a coupon that ended up getting 30.00 off!! The staff was friendly, the room clean, bed comfortable & price included a hot breakfast with sausage & bacon. I had already booked the Best Western Plaza in Pigeon Forge, so was glad this one turned out to be good.

Our stay at BW Plus Cedar Bluff Inn was short but we enjoyed every minute, our big king bed was SUPER comfy, the lobby layout was nice and the staff welcoming and kind. We had a great experience and would be glad to stay again!

"Skip the National 800 number- go right to the hotel for info"

24/06/2018

Nice hotel, modestly priced, very cordial service and very, very good breakfast [first day lots & lots of bacon, eggs, etc.--- 2nd day was similar but lots & lots of sausage, etc.] typical waffles- but delicious, lots of other breakfast items and staff kept up with everything, including smiles. Breakfast area had very limited seating so 1st day took food to room to eat- but managed, 2nd day was able to sit comfortably in breakfast area. Hotel was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced & service was very, very good. On the negative side: Wanted to go Knoxville area- so called Best Western 800 number for info. Booked the hotel anyway and found out everything their national headquarters told me was wrong.

16/06/2018

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip 06/10-06/13/2018. This hotel was nowhere near what the pictures showed online. The carpet in the hallways and rooms is very worn and show black traffic patterns where people have walked repeatedly. The hallway walls very damaged, had scars and deep cuts in them. The grout in the tile was stained. The wall paper in the bathroom is peeling, the water pressure is so low it makes taking a shower a chore to get the soap off. The towels are well used and throughout my stay showed excessive wear and stains on them. The mattress was quite firm and I woke up each morning with lower back pain as a result. The AC in the room is quite loud and makes it hard to hear the television without having the volume turn way up. On Tuesday, when I returned from working, I arrived to find my room was not cleaned. I inquired at the front desk and was told that since I was staying another night my room would be cleaned last. When I questioned, the front desk employee why they would make a returning guests room wait until last to be cleaned when check in is not until 4pm. She could not give me an answer, nor did she apologize. She then stated she will check to see when she can get housekeeping to my room and would call me. The front desk clerk never called nor notified me of when to expect housekeeping. I informed the front desk clerk after working all day, I should not have to deal with my room not being cleaned or having to accommodate housekeeping after being gone all day. Again, no response! I returned to my room and about 15 minutes later a housekeeper should up. I could not see her name, but her hair was bright pink. She changed my towels, took out the garbage but did nothing else. Didn't wipe down the bathroom, vacuum the floors or anything. At this point, I was done with the entire issue. On her way out, she informed me that they are very busy and sometimes it takes longer to get rooms cleaned and my room was her bosses to clean so she was helping her out. Each day after returning to the hotel their were always 3-5 guys at the entrance sitting on the bench or standing at the doors drinking beer. The bright spot of the stay was the gentleman that handled breakfast. Always polite, helpful and smiling. He did an excellent job keeping things stocked and cleaned. I would not recommend this hotel for traveling for business or an extended stay. Best suited for a one-night stay at the most. A real disappointment.

16/06/2018

We recently stayed at this Best Western, and it was great. The hotel is very centrally located to the highway, which was wonderful for us since we'd been traveling all day. The lobby is super clean and nice, and the free breakfast was top notch. Our rooms were very spacious and very clean. The staff was super nice and helpful - there'd been a mix up on our rooms and they did everything they could to accommodate us immediately. I really appreciate them taking the time to quickly resolve our issue! We'll definitely come back to this hotel when we are in the Knoxville area.

This hotel was amazing. I had a really great time staying here. The hotel was super clean, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Their pool is fairly large, and their wi-fi was very fast. The rooms had everything I needed and really comfortable beds. I couldn't ask for anything more out of a hotel. Highly recommend!

"Rocky start but great customer service"

02/06/2018

My husband and I were traveling home from a trip south and reserved a room here. We checked in and, as Rewards members, are entitled to available complimentary room upgrades. Lea at reception went above and beyond to accommodate us and upgraded us to a lovely room. Unfortunately, after a short time in the room, we encountered ants, more than we were comfortable tolerating. We went back down and Lea apologized and graciously moved us to another equally lovely room, sans pesky ants, gave us a late checkout and provided additional Rewards points for our trouble. Largely because of this type of kind service, on a very busy night, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Room was clean and very well appointed.

This hotel is super clean!! Rates were great!! It was a comfortable stay during our travels back to Michigan from Florida. Beautiful room, nice pool, and we were even provided a great breakfast on the go the next morning since we had to leave before hot breakfast was served. Will not hesitate to book here again for future travels.

Stayed at this hotel for a week for work reasons. Breakfast was convenient each morning. They had the normal eggs, bacon, cereals and fruit. The staff were very attentive and were available when I needed to have a small issue fixed in my room. It was quickly handled with no problems I appreciated this very much. Nice heated outdoor pool and adequate gym. Front desk staff were always helpful to make recommendations when needed. Rooms were clean and well maintained. I'd stay there again.

Staff not prepared for emergencies. A fire alarm went off at 3:45 AM. It was due to faulty equipment, but the staff was not prepared to manage the situation. Management offered to concessions or discounts even though people, some with babies, were standing in the parking lot at 3:45 Am till after 4:00 am.

"Could have been great"

17/05/2018

This hotel is in a great location - convenient to all that west Knoxville has to offer and interstate 40. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was as good as or better than any comparable hotel I have seen. Most everyone I came across was friendly and helpful - especially the attendant at breakfast on Mother's Day. I would rate this hotel as excellent except for 2 thing 1) The TV did not work properly - it did not get all the stations listed (less than half) it did not even get the local stations, it was difficult to change stations with the remote as the selection would jump either forward or backward, it was impossible to actually access a desired channel. I brought this to the attention of the night clerk and all I got was that the TVs were supposed to have been fixed the week before and that there was nothing he could do about. Had it not been late and we had already unpacked I would have left. 2) The shower curtain rod had pulled loose at each end allowing the curved center to dip down - that made it impossible to completely close off the shower at each end and prevent water from splashing on to the floor. There was no excuse for either of these problems not being corrected. I might consider staying here again, but before checking in I would double check that the TV works and that the shower curtain is properly installed.

08/05/2018

We absolutely loved our stay at Best Western Plus in Knoxville. Our check in was on the later side because we checked in after a show we played at Barley's in downtown Knoxville that night but it was no problem at all. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the setup of the room and how it was laid out. There was a large, comfortable bed as well as a desk for work. The bed gave us such a good night's sleep that we wanted to sleep in all day. I also love that they have a little market by the desk where you can buy snacks and toiletries so you don't have to leave the hotel for small things like that. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and would love to stay here again when in town. It's worth a little drive from Knoxville to get a great hotel for an affordable price (and not have to pay for parking).

"Great Location & Service"

07/05/2018

We were in Knoxville to play a show downtown. Upon arriving, we were greeted in the pristine lobby, offered a complimentary cookie, and the instructions for WiFi & times for breakfast explained. The room was very clean, temperature of the room already comfortable & bathroom in perfect condition. The refrigerator was larger than most, closet space great & everything we needed was in the room (including full ironing board, iron, blow dryer, etc). The breakfast provided several options. Coffee and fruit were readily available in the lobby day and night. The hotel was located right off of the highway and just 15 minutes from downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

Driving cross-country alone in a U-Haul. Needed a place that was large enough for the truck, safe, clean, quiet, and had a good bed. We went there twice in one week. Once on a Saturday night, and again on Monday night. The first night we couldn't get an upgrade because they were sold out. Recently stayed at this hotel, checked in very late due to travel plans. Front staff was friendly, lobby and front door area was clean and welcoming. Parking areas and landscaping well taken care of. Hotel was located off main highway, easy to get to. Room was fresh, heat had been turned on (very cold outside) and extra pillows on each bed. Cable included HBO, always a plus! Room was quiet, could not hear highway noise. Continental breakfast was available, but left too early to participate. Would definitely stay here again.

"bed bugs"

1
10/03/2018

I recently stayed in the hotel for business 3/5-3/8/2018. The last day of my stay I woke up with numerous bites on my shoulder, neck, back arm and hands. After showering for an extended period of time I called management to come to my room and showed them my bites on my shoulder and then showed them evidence on the mattress cover and let them know they had bed bugs and that I was leaving my suitcase as well as many personal items in the room to throw away for fear I would take them home. They tried to say after housekeeping, management, and ecolab inspected the room they did not find any. I then sent pictures that went to the owners and they went back and found bed bugs in the headboard when they removed the head board. Bed bugs can happen at any hotel, but don't let your guard down like I did and do a quick sweep of the edges of the mattress, inspect everything. I am still suffering from bites and have lost all sense of security. Did you know it can take any where from one up to ten days for bed bug bites to show up on your skin? Me either!!

Tara D, Director of Sales at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
Dear chastinamarina, Thank you for taking the time out to review our hotel. First and foremost , we would like to apologize that you had such an experience at our hotel. Although we are aware that bed bugs can happen anywhere, this is not something that is a usual occurrence for our property. We strive to leave each guest feeling well taken care of and satisfied and we deeply regret that you left feeling otherwise. Although we know it will not take away the uneasy feeling entirely, we hope that you take the monetary reimbursement for both your belonging and your stay as just one token of our apology. I would also like to reassure you that after this incident we not only had this room blocked for the remainder of the week to be treated by a specialist, but have also completed a refresher course with all staff to help identify the early signs of any possible issues. We also had the specialist begin another inspection of the property to insure that this does not happen to anyone else. We regret that this situation could even happen at our hotel , but we are grateful that you made us aware of the issue. We do hope that you will reconsider staying with us again in the future so that you may fully experience the kind of excellence in guest care we strive to provide. If there is anything we can do to further rectify the situation, please do not hesitate to let me know at (865) 539-0058 ext 403. Sincerely, Tara D Sales Manager

This was a nice hotel west of Knoxville. We had a long day traveling on the road and didn't check in until 2 am. I called in advance and the hotel was totally accommodating. We honestly, checked in and were asleep in about thirty minutes. The rooms were clean and spacious. They had free continental breakfast and coffee to get us back on the road early the next morning. No complaints here and we really didn't get to check out too many of the amenities, but it was perfect what we were looking for--- clean, quiet, and accommodating.

25/01/2018

Front desk was very accommodating when I needed to do an early check in. A room was available so they allowed me to check in early. I needed a place to plant for 4 days since I have no family in town anymore at a reasonable price. Room was very clean. Only two issues I had was the room wasn't cleaned the middle day after I took the do not disturb sign off the door around 1100. Also you can only turn on the hot water to a certain temperature and then the handle stops so water won't get any hotter. Over all a good stay for what I needed. Other hotels on the same street that I like better. Breakfast was good and had several choices. Even though I was on the interstate side you could not hear the traffic.

My wife an I stopped off in Knoxville for the night on the way back from Florida. The hotel was well located near dinning and shopping and we found the quality of our room nicer than our stay at the Sheraton in Atlanta, much more $$$ on our way down to Florida. Highly recommend this Gem.

Room was fine. Price was fine. Breakfast included was very good. Good area to stay in with lots to do. Right off the highway so you can get anywhere in Knoxville in no time. About 45 minutes from the smokey mountains.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel with her parents for two nights for New Year's Eve. The hotel is in a great location. It is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and a movie theater. The hotel was very clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great and they offered coffee, tea, and snacks all day long. They also have an area to sit and eat and they have a decently sized fitness area. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and courteous. The only complaint I had was that our hallway smelled like cigarettes. This, however, was not the hotel's fault and was caused by some inconsiderate guests. We were unable to use the pool because it was outside. We are planning to stay at this hotel again.

Tara D, Director of Sales at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
Dear halleagles92, Thank you for your kind review. I am absolutely ecstatic to hear that you and your in laws truly enjoyed your holiday with us. I have shared your kind words with our staff and they join me in thanking you for the compliments about our service. I would however like to apologize once more for the smoke smell you endured during your stay. Unfortunately, there will always be a few rule breakers that ruin it for the whole crowd. I wanted to assure you though, that we block and deep clean any room which has been smoked in. Hopefully you felt satisfied with the measures we took to rectify the situation We hope to see you again soon or even once the pool opens! Sincerely, Tara Donaldson Sales Manager

We came to Knoxville for granddaughter's wedding. Hotel is near family's home. Very pleased with the accommodations. The breakfast is very nice. I was amazed there were "real" plates, bowls & silverware, not just paper & plastic. The hotel has easy access off and on I 40. We stayed here several years ago and we were pleased then also. Thank you for a great stay.

They accommodated us last minute and we had a great experience. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was great with a sink outside the bathroom. My husband likes steaming hot showers and I really hate doing my hair in a steamed up bathroom. The sink was small but it was a cute place. The breakfast was of great quality too

"overall good experience"

10/12/2017

The room was clean and comfortable, all of the staff was helpful and friendly. We did not receive room service one day, had to ask for towels, but not a show stopper. The breakfast needs improving, some of the items did not taste good. The scrambled eggs were watery and salty. The fresh fruit was not fresh, was slimy and old. The bacon was paper thin. But, overall it was a good experience and would stay again there.

This was a very good Best Western Hotel and is well taken care of. We a very nice overnight stay on our way to Texas. The Room was clean and well cared for. The hotel gave us all we needed for a restful night on our way south. The breakfast was very good, one of the best we have had at the Best Westerns we have stayed at. 05/12/2017

Pros: Good location, decent price, friendly staff. Cons: Hotel rooms very outdated. We checked into one room, came back down and asked the person at the desk if they had any other rooms. "Yes we do and we'll upgrade your room as you are a Rewards member." Room went from standard to King Suite. Suite was nicer as we had full kitchen, but the room itself was out of date. Worst part was we did not take a shower due to tub mat in shower - did NOT look clean. Take out the tub mat and clean the shower so guests know the shower is clean! There are a lot of hotels in Cedar Bluff area of Knoxville, TN - next time we definitely will not be staying at this Best Western.

Dear Coffeegeek, Thank you for taking the time out to review your recent stay with us. By telling us what you liked and did not like about the property , we have the ability to continually grow and improve. We are disappointed to hear that you left feeling less than satisfied with your stay. Our suites were renovated last year and do feature a tub mat for the safety of our guests. It is not our intention for the mat to leave the impression that the tub is unclean . Instead it is intended to help prevent accidents. I will gladly pass on your review to owner and design team to see what alternatives they may be able to input. If you have any additional suggestions for our property, please do not hesitate to contact me at 865-539-0058 ext 403. We hope that you will reconsider giving our property another opportunity to provide you with superior customer service in the future. Sincerely, Tara Donaldson Sales Manager

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was very clean, there were several choices (waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, potatoes, eggs, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, fruit salad, oatmeal, and juices, as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate). The internet was fast and consistent, the service never dropped or became slow. The hotel was definitely a good value for the price of the room.

Plusses: The hotel was clean and well-kept; good value for the price; the breakfast buffet had a lot of options; the coffee was hot. Negatives: Overly zealous staff at check-in trying to push the Best Western Loyalty club on us at 1 a.m. and getting testy with us when we refused the offer.

Nice hotel not far from the heart of Knoxville. Good restaurants in the area and decent nightlife choices. Easy Uber ride anywhere you want to go. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Very friendly hotel staff. The main drawback for Knoxville is they still allow smoking in bars which is a huge negative. Also, UT is a nice campus but their tailgating leaves much to be desired. The hotel made the stay worthwhile but we should have spent 2 nights in Nashville instead of 1.

When I got there to check in the guy at the counter was very nice about everything. Went to the room and set my stuff down. The room looked like it did on the website. The breakfast was alright. They had pancakes to make for breakfast and I never been to a hotel that serves breakfast with a pancake maker! The check in was easy and they check out was easy. We only stayed one night for sleep and it served its purpose. I was about a 30 minute drive to where we had to go. I would come back to stay again if it is near where I need to go in Knoxville.

In God's mercy, we found this hotel while we were experiencing vehicle troubles. The manager who arranged our accommodations was very nice. Our room was spacious and included a small refrigerator. Both the room and the bathroom were pretty clean. Taking our vehicle to the mechanic following our night's stay, we discovered that repairs would delay our travels for another night. When we went to the lobby to request a second night at the hotel, the sympathetic receptionist efficiently arranged for us to lodge again in the same room for the same rate as on the previous evening. Not long after settling this, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the mechanics had completed our vehicle's repairs. We returned to the hotel's front desk and informed the receptionist that our automobile was fixed, that we would continue our journey, and that therefore we would not be staying the second night. Expressing her pleasure at our providential turn of circumstance, she generously allowed us to check out half-an-hour after normal check-out time, waiving any charges for the night we had just booked but would now not be staying.

"Best hotel of our trip"

5
28/10/2017

We stayed in 3 different hotels, all in the same price range, while on our recent trip. This hotel was the best, by far. Granted, this is not a super luxury hotel, nor does it advertise as such. The hotel was extremely well kept, breakfast was good, but best of all the front desk staff was fabulous. As soon as we'd been to our room and come back through the lobby, we were asked how our room was. Wow. A bit later, we were going for dinner, and the gentleman at the front desk asked if we'd like a coupon for a local restaurant. Wow. The lady on duty when we came back later wished us a good evening without losing her conversation with another guest. Wow. We felt valued. Can't ask for more than that.

26/10/2017

10/15/2017 Apparently some rooms have been remodeled and others haven't. The room we stayed in our first night was one of the older rooms - complete with lumpy couch, stained ceiling and tub and mildewy smell. We weren't planning to spend much time in the room and decided it was fine for two nights (especially for the price). After the first night we returned late in the evening (after 10:00) after being out all day to find that the room hadn't been cleaned. I called downstairs and was told that someone would bring clean towels up and empty the trash. The person who answered was very nonchalant. While waiting, we turned on the a/c and it immediately began to make a loud clanging sound and give off a foul smell. The employee still hadn't arrived so I called back to let the person at the desk hear the noise and was told someone was coming. When the employee arrived he handed us a new set of keys and said, "There's no one here to fix the a/c so we're moving you to one of the nice rooms." So at 10:45 p.m.we had to gather up our things and move down the hallway to a different room. This hotel needs to advertise the "old" and "new" rooms accordingly so that people know what they are getting. I had no clue that some rooms were newer than others and wouldn't have if we hadn't been moved to a "good" room. 10/26/2017 5 emails and 4 phone calls later I am still waiting to receive a response from customer service.

Very well located with nearby restaurants (½ mile), At checkin they originally billed me at the wrong rate then credited my account that night and recharged me at the correct rate. 02/10/2017

We got this hotel room at a great price for the weekend of the UT vs. Georgia game after another hotel dropped our reservation. The hotel is in a GREAT location on the west side of Knoxville. The hotel is older, but very clean. We managed to get an "Executive Suite" which had a little kitchenette area, couch, and chairs. The room was clean and the bed and linens were very good. The breakfast area was clean and the food was a good choice of hot continental breakfast items. The staff at this hotel is FANTASTIC. Extremely courteous and professional. For the price, we would definitely stay again. I priced the same room for the South Carolina and LSU games, but they were way out of our price range (expected on game weekends). If this hotel comes up again on a third party booking site we will definitely go back.

Not sure what makes others this happy. Our room was fine but the A/C was noisy. The toilet broke after we were in for the night so we had to remove the back and lift the plunger. Also, the toilet was so close to the wall and and the paper rolls a large person would not be able to use it. The toilet was low. Great for kids. In all the motel and rooms are dated. Now then, breakfast was great with all you can ask for. The laundry worked well. Newspapers were available and the staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Thanks Craig!!!

We were happy to return to the Cedar Bluff Best Western on our trip west. As before, the room was spacious and the window opened fully. This time there was no smell in the room from the carpet cleaner. Everything was lovely. Nice folks at the front desk, too. The breakfast was also the same: great biscuits, ok eggs, very little fruit, only instant oatmeal, and weak but acceptable coffee. I do wish the room had larger and firmer pillows; those soft squares made it hard to get comfortable. But it was very nice to have a real blanket and bedspread and not those fluffy duvets that most hotels use. A very good value overall, and we would choose it again.

"Great Hotel - Great Value"

I stay at the Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn every time I go to Knoxville, which is the past 5 plus years. The rooms are always clean and comfortable - staff is always helpful and courteous - looking for ways to make my stay the best it can be. The breakfast bar in the morning is a good way to start the day. This place offers a good value for business travelers looking for a place to stay and get some work done. I highly recommend it.

"One of the better Hotel Chains we have stayed at"

Hotel was easy find ,just off the highway. was very quite, had a great restaurant just a short walk across the parking lot. was recommended by the office staff. room was on the ground floor was enough luggage carriers that we didn't have to carry or luggage to our room. room was clean air conditioning was quiet and controlled by a thermostat. tv remote didn't have a guide so you had to go through each channel to find the show to watch,.breakfast was hot they served bacon to go with your scrambled eggs instead or sausage, also had pancakes ,milk was very cold, apples and bananas . had really plates and knives and forks filled our water bottles in workout room out of the water cooler. bed was very comfortable had 2 pillows each

Christine M, General Manager at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your review. We are glad we met your lodging expectations. Yes we are in a quiet upscale area with quite a few good restaurants and shopping close by. We do normally have channel guides for our rooms, but missed putting one in your room. We do apologize for that . We hope to see you again in the near future. Thanks again.

"Great experience at this hotel"

15/09/2017

While the hotel and its facilities are nice, the main event was its kind staff. Craig at the front desk continually sought to meet my needs. Elizabeth's warm greeting and preparation of the breakfast, which was excellent and one of the best I have ever experienced at a hotel in this price-range, was comforting. And Joann, who I did not interact with but "kept us safe overnight," was also on board with kindness. I would stay at this hotel even if I didn't have a reason to come to Knoxville. Great team!

Christine M, Manager at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
Thank you so much for the kind words about our staff. We are very proud of our associates here at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn. I have relayed your compliments to our entire staff. We always strive to provide clean, high quality, well maintained accommodations, and exhibit true southern hospitality to all our guests. Thank you again and we hope to see you again next time you happen to come through Knoxville, TN.

"One night business trip"

11/09/2017

My business trip was canceled and I had to rescheduled. The front desk was great at accommodating me for that night and rescheduling me for the upcoming week. I look forward to my next stay. The location is perfect for job and there are lots of stores and food places in the area.

Value above par, better than we hoped for. Upon arrival we noticed lobby was top notch and hotel staff were spot on. We asked about the local restaurants and received many fine suggestions. Room was outstanding

Christine M, Manager at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
Your very nice comment was much appreciated. Our staff takes great pride in their jobs here at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn. We attempt to to show "value above par" every day. In fact we will use that term from now on in training of our associates Thank you again and we look forward to your return.

Generally a good experience. Room was comfortable and roomy although I have slept in more comfortable motel room beds. We had a broken bedside light. Told it could not be fixed until next day, which was when we were leaving.

"Quick stay"

4
02/09/2017

Staff were all very pleasant, breakfast was above average for this type of hotel, the only negative which is common in today's world, is the poor lighting in the room. Overall a great value. would stay again.

"Enjoyable stay"

5
01/09/2017

Rooms were beautiful, clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facility was easy to find, in close proximity to my meeting, and to restaurants. I have back and neck problems, and the bed was a little too firm for my comfort, but most guests would find them comfortable. I thought it was a great value, and it made my stay pleasant, even though the weather was rainy. Breakfast offerings were great!

"Smoking in front of NON-Smoking hotel"

3
25/08/2017

I would have given this hotel 5 stars because of great service, internet was good, breakfast was great and the room was clean, but I was greeted with smoke at the front doors. I have an asthmatic child and search out non-smoking hotels. We had to wait for at least 5 minutes to leave the car to enter the hotel because smokers were seated at benches beside both doors where the cigarette poles were located. My child can go into a major asthma attack when smelling cigarette smoke. If the hotel feels they need to accommodate smokers, the benches and the cigarette poles should be far away from the front door. Because of the major smoke issue at a NON-Smoking hotel, I will not be back.

"Wonderful experience, no complaints whatsoever"

23/08/2017

We stayed at this hotel when we came to the area for the solar eclipse in August 2017. Our experience was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the full breakfast had many options and was very satisfying, and my kids loved swimming in the pool. Thank you for giving us a great place to stay while making family memories. Couldn't be happier with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

"Great first experience in TN"

4
23/08/2017

My brother and I came down from NY to view the eclipse. We didn't really know what to expect because we booked last minute but the whole experience was great! The team here at BW Cedar Bluff, made sure we were comfortable and accommodated. We had great encounters with the employees such as Joanne and Wanda. Overall, our stay turned out to be more than we hoped. Thanks again to all the lovely staff.

"Overnight stay before eclipse."

4
22/08/2017

We stayed here 1 night before heading further south to view the 2017 eclipse that passed over this part of TN. The hotel was easy to locate near an exit off I40 / I75. The area is filled with the normal mix of restaurants, shopping, and hotels that populate the freeway exits of our country. The check in started with a friendly agent and went off without a hitch. The hotel lobby is clean and tidy. Elevator arrived quickly and took us to our room on top (3rd) floor. Our room was the pretty standard 2 queen beds, desk, credenza with TV. Plus feature was microwave and fridge. Sink is in little alcove separate from tub and toilet. Large closet. Comfortable bed with to many pillows. Room was quiet with no sound from close by freeway. Breakfast was pretty standard eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, cereal and was ready to go at 6 AM. I pass through this area a few times a year and would stay here again if needed.

"Jennifer was an excellent host each morning for breakfast"

5
17/08/2017

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel, very clean, accommodating, the outdoor pool was very nice although I would have liked it to stay open a little later. Having a full hot breakfast each morning really saved us alot of time and money. I chatted with several of the employees and they were all so friendly and helpful. I would definately stay here again and would recommend friends to stay also. The only bad experience I had was at check in , the woman on night shift was not very friendly. After 11 hours in the car being told I needed to put up a $250 cash deposit for my stay caught me off guard. When I stated I was never told about that she got a tone of voice and an attitude. I paid the 250 and then asked a question where she again started being rude . I just took my key and went up to bed making it known my bad experience to the morning desk person. All in all we stayed for 7 days and that was the only negative on the entire trip I call that a win.

"Very Satisfied"

17/08/2017

Very nice and laid back setting. Quiet and comfortable. Excellent customer service and very helpful. Staff made sure you were treated very well and the breakfast and evening cookies were excellent. As a diamond member, was treated like royalty.

"The FRIENDLIEST staff."

4
17/08/2017

I have stayed with this BW Plus a few times in 2015. When I returned the other week I was happy to see the friendly staff still there. Fresh flower arrangements in the lobby always impress me. The value just can't be beat here. The room is very clean down to the sanitized tv remote control in the cloth pouch (a hotel after a health inspector's heart). The only thing is that I noticed some minor disrepair to the ceiling in the bathroom (I like my hotel rooms pristine as I am a bit of a hotel snob). And I didn't care for the quality or condition of the throw blanket across the lower half of the bed. There was also some children running up and down the hall on the floor above us until midnight but I did not call to complain. Still would stay here again as I know exactly what I'm getting when I book.

"Breakfast without CNN"

4
15/08/2017

Clean, comfortable, courteous staff, great breakfast, no default CNN fake news. Many hotel chains and airports show CNN continuously by default as if it were the standard for News. This is an insult to those of us who seek objective reporting of world events, and not a continuous stream of bias diatribe and vindictive political commentary so offensive as to get several of its reporters fired for "political correctness" fallout.

"Clean"

3
14/08/2017

This is a clean place but they do let there guest that visit get carried away they had at least twenty ppl in the pool during a football tournament for lil kids the pool was right next to the parking lot where they were out side smoking weed and playing racist music we told the front desk they did nothing at all but all in all breakfast was good and finally the last three days that group left I read in the reviews that ppl were claiming the same thing about noise manager never came back to us and asked was all satisfied my six year old wanted to swim and could hardly find a spot to do that the kids from the football team who were like ten or twelve kept diving by his head I told him let's go music playing weed smelling loud I was done and upset I won't stay here again if i return to knoxville but rooms were clean

"Hotel wasn't very clean"

3
08/08/2017

We stayed here while my husband was in town doing business. The staff was all great but the hotel wasn't as clean as most we stay in. I felt that I needed to clean the bathroom myself before my husband or I used it.

"Awesome place."

5
07/08/2017

We went to visit friends and booked a room here first because it was a good price, when we arrived they took care if us quickly at check in, we went to our room was putting things away as I walked to the bathroom noticed the floor by the sink, which was outside of the bathroom, was soaked with water, called down to the desk I believe his name was Craig, I told him and he said let me call you back in a few minutes, he did said they would move us to a different room, we had a double queen room, in a few minutes he called and said they were booked for double rooms would a king with a sleeper sofa be ok, I told him yes, they sent someone up with new keys and to help us carry our things, it was the presidential suite room was awesome, this all happened within 30 minutes, they took very good care of us we were pleased and next time we go to Knoxville we will stay here, it was clean, nice and breakfast was great .

"Room was comfortable and affordable."

4
03/08/2017

Our stay at this hotel met our expectation for a place to stay with an affordable price. There was no Jacuzzi and pool was outside. Great food establishments near by along with some causal shopping available. About 15 minutes from downtown and the airport.

"Outstanding rooms just off the iterstate"

5
03/08/2017

Our 2 Queen room was big enough for a family of 4. Lots of plug ins for all of our electronics. Large bathroom with separate sink area. Clean, quiet, and good AC. Breakfast was very good with a large are for serving, however, the eating area itself is a little small. I suspect it can get busy at times.

"Cedar Bluff Inn Knoxville"

5
01/08/2017

Nicely appointed and well-maintained. Professional and pleasant staff. Great location proximate to two Interstates. Pool and Fitness Room along with business center and wifi. Good value; secure and comfortable!

"Nice hotel, clean"

4
29/07/2017

We had a one night stay here and were very pleased with the location right off the interstate. We also liked the cleanliness of the hotel. Nice staff. It's a rather small hotel and pretty quiet overall. No complaints

"Excellent place to stay"

5
27/07/2017

There are no negatives. The room was clean, quiet and cool. It was over 90 degrees the afternoon I checked in and my room was about 72 degrees. The breakfast was wonderful. I had scrambled eggs and bacon, with gravy and biscuits, but there was a large variety of other foods and the coffee was great. The folks at the desk, both in the afternoon and the next morning were knowledgeable and helpful. There was nothing out of order. It's a great place to stay! I was in Knoxville for two day only and I drove there and I traveled alone. Therefore, I cannot comment on the family and airport amenities.

"JTV Experience"

4
26/07/2017

Jennifer in the Breakfast area was terrific! We were in a hurry, and I didn't have time to eat AND make my Belgian waffle. Jennifer made my waffle for me! Super nice!! After we checked out, we remembered that we had left a special pillow in the room. We were told that housekeeping had the item, and it was locked up. The gentleman staff member was kind of snarky with me on the phone.

"Trip to Jewelery TV conference"

5
25/07/2017

Excellent experience. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. There was a excellent breakfast every day of our stay. The rooms were decorated nicely and the service staff cleaned and changed bedding every day.

"Great Stay!"

5
25/07/2017

We really enjoyed the clean rooms with 2 queen size beds. The shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the shower was a nice surprise. The room had a large tv which made viewing easier and the internet was very helpful to us. It helped us check out what was available in nearby areas. Great stay!

"Nice stay after a long drive"

5
24/07/2017

This was a great choice. Staff was great--got upgraded to an Executive Suite. Could have stayed a few days but had to move on. Room was clean and comfortable. Good places to eat near by. This is a great hotel to avoid traffic of Knoxville at 5:00 hour.

"2nd shift workers were the best"

5
17/07/2017

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The second shift workers Craig specifically and the other young man that worked with him appeared to be the friendliest. We would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was amazing as well - a lot of variety.

"Staff is great"

5
17/07/2017

Staff is very nice and hotel is very clean. Great price for the hotel. Some issues we ran into were the ice machines never had ice and the lighting at the pool was out so we were forced to leave the pool area as soon as it started getting dark. Fitness center has a multi use machine, treadmill, stair climber, mat and towels. TV didn't work in there.

"1st stay at best western"

5
16/07/2017

Quick check in and out, nice staff and hotel, will stay there again when visiting my son who is a freshman at University of Tennessee. Had a nice room, and a small but good hot breakfast, handled a loud neighbor, quickly when notified.

"Sets the standard for Best Western Hotels"

5
13/07/2017

We have stayed at Best Western properties around the country and in Europe. We have come to expect high quality, clean, comfortable accommodations and friendly staff whenever we stay with Best Western. However, this hotel is the best we have experienced in every category.

"Just a few quirks but still nice"

4
13/07/2017

This gentleman working the evening shift on July 11 is a very friendly employee. This was a plus. The reception area/lobby was very nice as was the breakfast area. The breakfast was pretty good, no complaints. Our room fell just a bit short of our expectation. I believe this hotel is a bit older because some of the furniture had lost some paint, the hallway carpet was a bit shabby, and the walls had scratches that almost were the length of the hallway. And, in our bathroom, some of the wallpaper was coming loose. Still, for the price, it was not a bad deal.

"Great Hotel for Comfort, Helpfulness and Price!!"

5
13/07/2017

Loved this Best Western, and although we are already fans of the brand, must say this one exceeded our expectations. Free upgrade, friendly helpful staff at front desk, Deborah and Scott, who made us feel at home and also took a personal interest, giving us recommendations for dinner and coupons (at we loved Puelo's Grille nearby). There were cookies available in the evening that were yummy. The hotel was super clean and our mattress and bedding was the best - very comfortable. Wanted to stay more than 2 nights! Breakfast was a nice variety and included a fruit mixture, yogurt and hard boiled eggs (our favorite) as well as the usual juices, eggs, cereal, toast, danish, etc. Wanda, the Breakfast Hostess, took great pride in her job and the kitchen serving area and eating area were spotless and well stocked all the breakfast hours. She was also friendly and we enjoyed talking with her.

"Most helpful hotel staff ever"

5
12/07/2017

This is a fabulous hotel. Among the amenities were large china plates and other china dishes, as well as metal eating utensils, at the in hotel breakfast, along with a wider than usual food and drink options. Really helpful staff at check-in and other times as well. Well-located in the West end of Knoxville. We will be back!

Christine M, Manager at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review

Hotel is bright, clean, and beautifully landscaped. On check in- the staff is professional and polite. The breakfast person- Jennifer- works hard and fast to keep guests happy and the house keeping staff are wonderful. The pool is well maintained and the work out room is small but useful. I especially loved their pillows! :)

Friendly, professional staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed and pillows. We were in town for a Bible conference in the downtown area. This hotel was convenient to I-40, and in a less congested, upscale area.

"STAY IN CEDAR BLUFF"

This hotel was recommended by a co worker and I found it to be clean and comfortable. The soap dispenser in the shower was unique and much more sanitary. The breakfast was more than your average continental breakfast and it was good.

"The Best Best Western I Stayed At."

5
29/06/2017

As I end my journey, I stayed at this BW. It is truly one of the best ones I stayed at. Everyone was great. Great breakfast and even breakfast to go if you want. Really good wifi. Nice outdoor pool (clear and clean). I even used the laundry room. One less thing to do when I get home. One drying cycle is 90 mins. I ate nearby at the Parkside Grill. I'll review that next. Thanks again Best Western for making my journey more relaxing.

"Like staying at home"

26/06/2017

You are greeted with a warm smile and how can I help you. After checking in you can go to your room knowing that the room has been prepare just as you would for your family or guest at your home. You will look forward to coming back.

"Ok place"

3
25/06/2017

Place was nice but seemed a little pricey. The guy at the counter was kind of rude when we tried to use our rewards card. Kind of looked done on us because we wanted to try to use it to get a free room. The room we were given was nice and clean. Was able to get our pizza delivered to the room. The bathroom was nice. I wouldn't say that I would stay there again though.

"A good nights sleep."

5
25/06/2017

This has so far been the best stay at any hotel i have ever had. The staff constantly went above and beyond, especially Conner and Jennifer. My room was well kept, and the complientary breakfast was very filling.

"Lovely Inn"

5
21/06/2017

Very nice BW Plus! Deborah at checkin was friendly and gracious. She acknowledged my elite status with a room upgrade and offered the choice of welcome packet or extra points. The room was clean and spacious and had a little kitchenette (including basic dishes and dishwasher) which would be nice for a longer stay. My favorite amenity was the soaking bath tub. So relaxing after a long day of driving. The shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were in ecological wall dispensers. Breakfast was better than usual. Besides the waffle maker and assorted breads, there were eggs (both scrambled snd boiled), bacon, potatoes, biscuits with sausage gravy, cut fresh fruit mix, and, of course, cereal, coffee and tea, some packets if you preferred cocoa or hot cider. Oh yes, and yogurt and even almond milk for those who can't drink the real thing. I will definitely choose this inn again when traveling this way. Checkout was just as pleasant, although I forgot to note the name of the very pleasant lady on duty in the morning.

"Good hotel, just loud"

4
18/06/2017

Stayed in this hotel on our way from Charlotte to Nashville, nice in between point. Hotel was fine, very clean and management was helpful. Just off i40, lots of dining options within a couple miles. About 15-20 min from downtown Knoxville. Breakfast was above average, good for what you are paying. Eggs, sausage, waffles, juices, etc. My major gripe was the noise, since it is just off the highway you will hear it, plan accordingly. Overall, would stay here again if in the area. Got this as a Priceline deal.

This place was a pleasant surprise.....this is the first time staying at a Best Western and I have to say this was a great experience. The room was very clean and the service was impeccable. Next time in Knoxville, I will definitely stay here again.

"Used as a stop over on the way to Nashville"

4
13/06/2017

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. We were on the third floor near the highway. The highway is very loud, at first we thought there was a window open. Luckily, we were very tired from a very long drive, so we were able to sleep through the highway noise. We did not eat breakfast there so cannot comment on that. Had no problem with the internet. Lots of restaurants close by for dinner. Would stay again when passing through the area.

Nice place to stay. Will stay there again. Clean, quiet, and comfortable room, with Wi Fi. Only complaint would be they didn't offer me a snack or beverage when they were checking my loyalty points after check in. No big deal, but other Best Westerns I stayed at did.

"Good stay"

4
30/05/2017

We stayed for one night while traveling through. This property is located on a quiet treelined street which is behind a strip of stores and restaurants. The room was of an average size, but the beds were comfortable. The A/C unit and the bathroom fan were loud. The breakfast was good, with a variety of hot and cold items, and the breakfast area was bigger than most hotels, so we weren't vying for a seat. If we were in the area, we would stay here again.

"Great staff, great location."

5
29/05/2017

The staff was very pleasant and the location of the hotel was great, close to restaurants, shopping etc. The hotel is well maintained, parking was ample and free. The breakfast was included and was quite good. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

29/05/2017

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was exceptional friendly which makes a big difference when you are travelling. The breakfast was good, nice variety of things. They have a pool but it was outside (I prefer inside). There's a lot of stores and restaurants really close. Easy access to a lot of things. I would recommend this hotel.

"Friendly Staff"

27/05/2017

Spent two nights at this very nice hotel. Everyone on the staff was so helpful and patient answering all of our questions about the area. Wanda you were a "GEM" in the morning greeting us with a smile, and hot coffee with breakfast. Also she took the time to speak with us about living in the area. Will be staying with you again on our next trip! I only gave it 4 stars, as they were in the process of having the parking lot repaved and striped. Made it look like the hotel was not open during this process.

"Perfect stay!!"

23/05/2017

My husband, my 94 year old Dad and I had traveled to Knoxville, TN to see my son Graduate with a Doctorate/PHD from the University of TN. Our room was large and clean and breakfast was wonderful. It was nice to be greeted in the morning by the staff especially Wanda. The only reason I am not giving this hotel a five is because the only disability room they have was one with just a King size bed. My Dad's wheelchair nor his walker would fit through the bathroom door in the room we were given.

Went to visit family in Knoxville and stayed at our usual hotel. The Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn continues to offer consistent accommodations. Good place to stay for a comfortable night's sleep with a descent breakfast all at a reasonable price.

Room and staff were excellent. Room was very clean, breakfast was basic but nice area and satisfying. Lots of amenities and restaurants in the area and easy to get around west Knoxville. Separate door into room from suite to bedroom made for a true suite as opposed to one big room.

"Great place to stay, very welcoming staff and clean rooms. We had a very comfortable stay and would stay again."

Our stay was very enjoyable, the front desk staff was very friendly and professional. Our room was clean and fresh. My only complaint was that the bathtub drained slowly. Other than that. Everything was great and we would recommend a stay here any time.

Every Year Our Association has a Navy Reunion. This Year We chose Knoxville, Tennessee. Carol Golden at Best Western Plus at Cedar Bluff was Great to Work with. We had 78 total Attendees and Our stay at Best Western Plus was Great. The Staff, The Rooms, The Hospitality Room and the Breakfast were all more than could be expected. Our Entire Stay was Great. Carol Golden kept in touch with me throughout the Year and offered any help She could in the Planning of the Reunion. I would Highly Recommend staying with Carol Golden and Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff. Douglas M. Curtis President, USS MacDonough Reunion Association

We stopped here on our way south as well as our way back north. This place was just as great this time as it was last year when we passed through. The lobby and rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast has many options and even some options that are less common at hotels like soy milk, almond milk, Greek yogurt, etc. Although we usually get in late and are out early, we really enjoy this hotel and have made it our stop every time we pass through.

"If in Knoxville, TN - Highly recommend Cedar Bluff Inn"

27/04/2017

The front desk staff were very professional & made sure our request for a 1st floor room was ready for us. Very courteous & helpful. Recommend an excellent restaurant for dinner & even gave us a discount coupon.

25/04/2017

So disappointed in our original room. A long dark hair on the bathroom floor and on a towel and blood underneath the toilet paper rolls in the bathroom. Front desk was nice and accommodating and got us into another room, but first impressions are everything. I'm still disgusted from that blood.

Our company had a employee training conference here. It was miserable hot AC unit it quit working and we had to stay here for eight hours and although the hotel staff did apologize never once did they offer to bring us water or ice or any hospitality whatsoever The conference room on the third floor reached at least 90° and never once did the stuff come to check on us at all other than to bring in box fans as a matter of fact they acted offended when it was mentioned. Never would I rent a room at such a low class facility

Christine M, Manager at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
We deeply apologize for the inconvience you experienced at our hotel. This was an unforeseen issue with the air conditioner in the meeting room. We attempted to make amends in anyway possible. We offered compensation for the cost of the room. Our guests are our #1 priority. We Always strive to exceeded expectations. I hope that you will consider staying with us so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. If I can provide any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me directly

"A moderately priced hotel that delivers"

20/04/2017

Spent three nights here for Easter weekend. Everything in the room worked, wifi was fast, items were free from wear, and clean. The staff was friendly but there was little need to contact since everything was right. The free breakfast included scrambled eggs with either bacon or sausage patties each morning in addition to the usual carbs. Much better than the sugary carb limitation of most free hotel breakfasts. Wish all hotels were like this one.

Christine M, Manager at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
We are glad we were able to accommodate you Easter weekend. We look forward to your next visit. thank you

"Great stop over "

19/04/2017

While driving to New England we decided to make Knoxville our stop for the day. First impression was a nice clean lobby. The woman on the front desk was dealing with some kind of computer issue with Best Western perhaps central. Not really sure. She kept apologizing for our delay in getting checked in but it really wasn't that long. She remained professional and pleasant, friendly staff both check-inn and out. We got the executive suite (had booked 2 queens online with request to king if once came available). The upgrade was a courtesy for our delay. The executive suite is a larger room with sofa/sitting area and a dry bar with microwave and some dishes in the cabinets. Very spacious. The bed was not pillow-soft but not rock hard either. My husband found it hard. I thought it was fine. Linens weren't as scratchy as we've had at some budget hotels which I was happy about. It was a fine place to sleep for the night. The towels were great. I really like that they have the wall dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and bossy wash. Much more ecological than the tiny bottles. Thank you!! Breakfast is included which is convenient. They have all the usuals including hard boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon etc. they even have almond milk. Making great efforts to be 21st century customer friendly. Bacon is never fully cooked at these buffets and this was no exception. Yogurt needs to have some amount of fat or it's got more chemicals to make up which is worse for you. Love the brands but please at least offer low fat if not whole milk yogurts. They have bananas and apples which are great staples on the buffet. Also the coffee service is placed right as you enter breakfast area. Very smart!! In general this is a great hotel. I would recommend staying here. Also ate at Park (something) Grill which is just about a block away. Very good. Fresh fish was excellent.

Christine M, Manager at BEST WESTERN PLUS Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
We are very glad we met your expectations with your stay. Than you for the breakfast suggestions. We strive to exceed guest expectations. Hope the get the privilege again on your next visit.

Nice motel. Very clean and updated. Breakfast was good and well prepared. Rooms were nicely furnished and beds comfortable. Staff at check in were friendly and very prompt and getting you registered. Check out was easy with a very friendly I would assume manager. Great value and most important clean beds, bath and room. Would definitely stay here again.

Was on my way home from New Orleans, was glad to get off the road. Featured a buffet breakfast in the morning. In an area with a lot of shopping, met a old college friend and we went out to dinner at a close by Italian restaurant. I'd go back.

"FANTASTIC"

28/11/2016

The BW+ had incredibly superior service including serving us breakfast after hours (shout-out to Wanda for being amazing on Thanksgiving day!). They welcomed us warmly, got us room next to one another (even with a same day reservation), and even apologized for our experience at the previous hotel (see review for Red Roof Inn Univ Tenn Knoxville). They offer us a lower rate than even the AAA website had quoted. The rooms were top notch with hot pleasant showers, and comfortable beds. The breakfast was adequate and has room for improvement. I found my room was a little noisy with the traffic nearby. But we enjoyed our stay at the BW+ VERY MUCH.

"Tired of fighting traffic stop and stay here"

5
28/11/2016

We were on our way home from a stay in Southwestern Florida and mistakenly decided to start our journey up I-75 on what was reported to be the busiest traffic on that highway since 2007! It was two days before the US Thanksgiving and when we reached Knoxville we looked for a refuge! This hotel was superb for that and after a great night's sleep and a nice breakfast with lots of choice, we were able to get back into the car and brave the traffic once again to get home to Canada!

"Honoring a faithful "employee" "Joanne".."

28/11/2016

"Sometimes its the people behind the scenes that don't get that much recognition. Today I just wanted to say thank you to "Joanne". Thank you for having a heart to serve others. Thank you for preparing such delicious breakfast to the customers. Its always good to see your smile and hear a friendly "good morning". You make the customers feel like they are at home. Thank you..Continue being the best that you can be. I appreciate you.

"Clean, convenient & the window opens!"

26/11/2016

We were very satisfied with this Best Western. The people at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious with everything we needed, including a working mini fridge with a freezer. We were most delighted by the window which opened easily and fully to let in fresh air. (We needed the air in part because the carpet had been cleaned with a sickeningly sweet-scented product. Even with the fresh air, we could not eliminate the unpleasant odor.) The wifi worked well, as did the plumbing and heating. The queen bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was the usual motel fare but unfortunately lacked cooked oatmeal. Eggs, biscuit and cold cereal were fine; coffee was ok but weak as is typical. Overall, this was a good choice, a good value, well-located.

"Wonderful hotel and staff"

5
21/11/2016

I am a Diamond member and this was one of the best Best Westerns that I have stayed in. The hotel is really nicely decorated, the staff is fabulous, our room was very clean and had great water pressure for showers. We also enjoyed our breakfast including real plates and silverware. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. it is in a great area with lots of restaurants near by also.

"Pleasant hotel"

4
17/11/2016

Very nice accommodations. Arrived late after a long day of travel, and wanted a quick meal from somewhere local. Jim at check in was super helpful and actually took the timer to print out directions and menus from a couple of local places to grab a sandwich. Only minor negative about the room is the sink is located outside the bathroom. For privacy sake and not disturbing a traveling companion, I prefer it to be inside the bathroom. Not a big deal.

"Clean and comfortable"

5
11/11/2016

This is a great hotel. Clean and comfortable and cookies waiting for us when we checked in. The breakfast was good with just enough options. All the employees we dealt with were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

"Nice and quiet"

5
05/11/2016

Check in was a breeze. Room was very nice, quiet and clean. Breakfast area has a lot of choices and the young man tending the area was exceptional. Great place to stay especially if you are a Vols fan.

"very well done"

02/11/2016

We were really struck how thoughtful and friendly all of the employees were. The front desk representatives were very friendly and sincerely acted as being glad to see us, the breakfast people were thoughtful and prepared excellent breakfast fare, and the custodial people caring for the rooms were very professional. We truly felt that all the employees cared that we had a wonderful stay at their facility.

"Great Hotel!"

5
02/11/2016

I felt like I was in an upscale luxury hotel. Very clean rooms, Great staff. The only thing that I would like to see improve it the shower head. Most BWs have very strong water pressure, this one not so much. But it was by far a great stay and I would stay there again. Loved it!

"Excellent Hotel"

4
31/10/2016

The hotel itself was great. Check-in went quickly, the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, no complaints at all. In regards to the breakfast, it was also great. The food was fresh, hot, and tasted great. We were impressed with the almond milk and silk as milk alternatives. At check-out the lady (Donna maybe) was wonderful. She was very kind and took the time to chat with out little one as we were heading out. The only complaint is that throughout the evening and night you could hear what sounded like a generator running off and on. It was not on constantly but would kick on and off. I don't know if the generator, or whatever it was, even belongs to the hotel and it is possible that there is nothing they can do about it, but if you are a light sleeper you will not want to be on the back side of the building. Overall great stay, and we will be back!

"Better than the typical travel hotel"

5
29/10/2016

We had called a different Best Western in Knoxville initially, but we got a feeling in talking to the person that it may not be the place we wanted to stay. When we called the BW+ Cedar Bluff, the person receiving the phone call was very professional and friendly. This set a different tone from the beginning. We were pleased with the staff on check-in, and that continued when we were asking about restaurants for dinner. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. The breakfast area was clean and appealing. The meal itself was the typical items, but was nicely displayed, and fresh. It was nice to have both the WSJ, and USA Today papers each morning.

"A Nearly Flawless Visit"

4
25/10/2016

This motel gave us a friendly greeting and a clean, big room. The hot breakfast varied each day with a nice variety of offerings. The only minor drawbacks were Interstate noise which would only affect the north end of the building anyway, and scuff marks in the corridor. We were very satisfied with our stay

"Nice stay; convenient to I40"

5
21/10/2016

We stayed overnight here in room 103. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. 103 is at the end of the 1st floor across from the presidential suite, so it was quiet and private. The desk clerks were super friendly and helpful. They suggested a restaurant called Parkside Grill. They will give you a five dollar off coupon for spending $25. The food was amazing. The hotel offers breakfast in the morning from 6 AM to 9 AM. They serve hot breakfast items including eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, and other things. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. It is close to the interstate and also close to shopping and movies.

"Very Good Experience"

5
19/10/2016

I booked two rooms here as an express deal and it had three stars and an 8+ rating with a surprisingly really good rate. The rooms were great and so is the hotel. The front desk people were very nice. Our reservation did not indicate we were together but they rearranged for us so we could be across the hall from one another. The rooms were spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Overall this was an excellent experience.

"The Best Host (Joanne) and Gem in Knoxville."

5
18/10/2016

I got to Knoxville for the AL vs UT game with a room already booked. Once I checked in the room I noticed it was nothing like the pictures or reviews I seen. The amount we paid was so expensive and it looked like a truck stop. So I cancelled my room with no where to go. I went online and seen Best Western was available in the same area so I took the risk ignoring the good reviews this time. However, since it was past 12am I could only book for the next day. I called up there and spoke to Joanne at the front desk and man what a beautiful warming person. I told her my situation, and she got me booked in with a competitive price and the rooms was amazing. She told me to call her when I got back to the room to let her know how it reviewed to me. I must say instead I walked down and let her know how amazed I was and how nice the room was. Grant it we got the suite and it was one of the better rooms but it was just like staying at the Marriott. Joanne made sure my stay was good the entire trip and I can't complain. Would stay here any day.

"Very Good Stay"

16/10/2016

Good room. Breakfast was good with a varied selection. The hotel was quite clean. The beds could have been slightly more comfortable, but that is such a subjective item -- it might be perfectly fine for another person.

"Wonderful Wanda and her breakfast magic "

5
14/10/2016

I awoke, famished. Parched. In need of a fulfilling breakfast. As I crawled my way downstairs in hopes of a piece of dry toast or a lukewarm cup of coffee, I set my sights on a beautiful oasis of breakfast delights. The coffee was bubbling, the gravy was flowing, pancake batter in 2 flavored, all in a clean and organized display...looked like something straight out of New York City! I fell to my knees wondering how such a feast found its way to a hotel lobby. And there she was...Wanda. The innkeeper of the breakfast goodies. None can dispute her amazing breakfast. Wanda has prepared a meal for everyone in Tennessee, the South, the United States, and even the continent. Surely Wanda has prepared a continental breakfast fit for you. Forget everything else....come partake of the breakfast delights of Wanda!

"Great Place To Stay!"

5
12/10/2016

Hotel entrance looked great, new and modern. Room was very clean! Beds were comfortable! Lady at front desk was super nice and friendly! Didn't partake in the amenities. Breakfast was delicious. Lots to choose from. Nice area as well, went for a drive and did some shopping. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

"Escape from Matthew"

4
12/10/2016

The entire staff is what made this stay very enjoyable. The friendliness and courteousness seemed to come naturally, not forced. The motel was clean from the parking lot to the room. Room was well equipped with plenty of dishes, however, didn't understand why the house sized dishwasher, a small refrigerator, and no cook stove/oven, only a microwave. Hide a couch has typical uncomfortable mattress and the king was a bit too firm, for my liking.

"Great value"

5
12/10/2016

The room was huge! It had a fridge, mw, couch, stuffed chair, and an large office chair. Clean and cool. Lot of room for a very reasonable price. Good breakfast was included with a nice selection of standard fare breakfast items. Internet was fast and easy to connect to.

"Great 2 night stay"

5
07/10/2016

Had a great time at a well maintained hotel. Rooms and staff were excellent. Even met the new hotel owner at a hotel sponsored tailgate party the night before the Tenn vs Fla football game. He was very friendly and pleased we were were return customers. This is home when we travel to Knoxville.

"Very nice place to stay"

4
06/10/2016

This was a very nice and clean hotel. You can tell it has some age on it, but it has been well maintained. My wife got sick the night we stayed and the next morning the staff was very helpful in accommodating her needs. Overall it was a good value for the money and i would recommend this hotel to others.

"Excellent breakfast buffet"

4
05/10/2016

Excellent location just off Cedar Bluff exit off I 40. Wanda the breakfast hostess does an excellent job keeping the buffet well stocked and very clean. Clearly a better than average buffet. Plus all of the staff are super friendly.

"Comfortable Best Western"

4
28/09/2016

This is a busy Best Western Plus. When checking in, a second receptionist would have been nice. It took awhile waiting to to check in. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Breakfast was laid out over three different area next to each other with standard breakfast items. We would consider staying here again.

"Clean, friendly, very nice"

5
26/09/2016

We enjoyed our stay here. Beds were comfy, room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast wasn't that great, but if that was the worst thing about the hotel, you know you've got a good one. Thanks.

"Always a good choice!"

5
26/09/2016

We often stay at the Cedar Bluff Best Western Plus when in Knoxville to visit family. It is always a pleasant visit with all of our needs met. The hotel is nice and the people there even nicer. Rooms have a small sitting area and nice size desk as well.

"Great football weekend"

5
25/09/2016

Wonderful staff. Go out of their way to make your stay great! Quick service when extra towels needed. Reopened breakfast service as they were putting breakfast items away for my wife and kids. Our breakfast hostess, Wanda, was very pleasant and kept the coffee flowing.

"BW at Cedar Bluff"

5
21/09/2016

We often stay at this hotel as we have family in Knoxville. As usual our stay was great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel is close to the interstate (but quiet). There are restaurants nearby.

"Hidden Gem in Knoxville, Tennessee"

5
17/09/2016

I have stayed in many hotels for business/leisure and I must say this hotel is hands down a wonderful place to stay. It is very evident that this hotel is maintained in a way that all hotels should be. There is a warm feeling that this place exudes and the staff here really go above and beyond. I am a stickler for cleanliness and this place met my expectation. Hats off to the manager Tyler that I had the pleasure of meeting! I will stay here anytime that I am in the Knoxville area.

"Beware of Game Day Shuttle"

3
17/09/2016

Hotel is nice with clean rooms and ok breakfast. We came to town for UTK family weekend. The hotel offered a game day shuttle for $10 per person scheduled to depart at 9:00. The old school bus finally showed up at 9:20 and made 5 additional stops (not disclosed by the hotel). We had hoped to get to campus for Vol Walk but obviously did not. I recommend taking Uber as it is quicker, cheaper, and doesn't stop to pick up more passengers.

"My #1 choice for hotel in Knoxville area!"

5
17/09/2016

I have stayed at many places in the Knoxville area. This one is the best! I have always been treated very well no matter what happens during my stay. Mrs. Wanda, the Breakfast Hostess, is the nicest lady I have ever meet when it comes to making you feel welcome and at home. She is always there helping serve breakfast, so she remembers you by name if you stay there long enough. Very impressive! Mrs. Christine, the Front Desk Manager, was a huge help as well. She is a very nice lady. Overall best hotel experience in the Knoxville area because not only are the workers very nice but the beds are also very comfortable.

"A very comfortable place"

5
14/09/2016

When our group arrived, the desk clerk was happy to see us. How nice is that. Our rooms, our keys, cookies and coffee were waiting. We were comfortable in no time! A quick look at the room, huge, spotless, and with the most modern bathroom, and then back to the lobby for coffee and the paper. I walked down the hall to the pool and with my coffee and paper, it was very relaxing. For dinner, there are quite a few choices of restaurants within walking distance and a strip mall across the street. The following morning, thanks to Wanda, the breakfast room was well stocked. They had eggs, bacon, and numerous other items, all fresh and plentiful. After making my choice for breakfast, I enjoyed a coffee outside on the most comfortable bench. Pool didn't open until 10. Well, we had to be" on the road again ". With nice memories, a perfect way to start the day.

"Battle at Bristol"

10/09/2016

Best customer service that ive experienced as of yet in Knoxville. You wont regret staying here. Christine is a top notch manager. Anything you need, shes right there. Id recommend this place to anyone.

"Nicely Renovated Hotel"

4
05/09/2016

We stayed at this hotel for a night while traveling. It was clean, nicely furnished and reasonably priced. Our room was a little too close to the freeway so it was a bit noisy but we were really tired so it didn't keep us awake. I would ask for a room away from the freeway. They have an outdoor pool and free wi-fi. We did not eat the free breakfast but the coffee was good.

"Great stay!"

5
28/08/2016

We stayed 08/27-8/28 at Best Western Plus. Awesome experience from the moment we arrived. Greeted by a friendly face. Warm, inviting environment that is tastefully decorated. As soon as we opened the door to our room, we could tell someone took pride in cleaning this room. Smelled fresh and everything was spotless! They took care all requests...coffee, forgotten toothbrush. Even offered discount coupons for restaurants! Delicious breakfast buffet was included with our stay. Lot of variety. Wanda, the breakfast hostess did an amazing job of keeping everything filled and well presented. You can tell she likes to serve people. What an amazing experience we had staying at the BWPlus! We will be back.

"Consistently consistent "

25/08/2016

Great value for business travel. Clean, comfortable, good hot breakfast, solid Wi-Fi. They also provide complimentary copies of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today for guests. Small but adequate gym with a treadmill and weight machine. Never disappointed there.

"pleasant stay"

4
22/08/2016

We went to Knoxville on a overnight trip to see family and do a little Geocaching. Found this hotel on line , liked what we saw and booked online with no effort . The hotel is very convenient to shopping and restaurants on the westside of Knoxville. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, internet was acceptable. The complimentary breakfast was a step up from the usual with eggs and sausage on the bar. The young man working it kept it clean and stocked. The are could be a little larger. Overall it was a good stay and we will stay there again.

"Friendly Service and staff"

4
17/08/2016

The stay in the Best Western was better than I have expected. I drove my family to the Smoky Mountain National Park and we were just passing through this town. We stayed there only for a night and in the morning while having the hotel complimentary breakfast, we met Wanda the breakfast hostess. She took great cared of us and the breakfast was simple but delicious. For the budget or business trips I highly recommend this place.

"It's Great!"

5
14/08/2016

We stayed here on our way home from Florida after traveling 10 hours. Jim at the front desk was efficient and helpful. He even gave us a coupon for a nearby restaurant, Parkside Grill. The room was clean and newly renovated. Breakfast was nice. They have the coffee station away from the food area which is very good for traffic flow. Wanda, the breakfast hostess kept everything clean and well stocked. We will stay here again.

"maybe an isolated situation..not sure"

10/08/2016

We arrived in the middle of a horrendous rain storm and it was a mess... the air condition in the room was not functioning, there was a frog in the room and they had a some what non-caring desk staff. The cleaning lady was extremely friendly though. JS

"Great place for the price"

09/08/2016

Small, Nice and clean! I always stay here when in Knoxville. Several nice eating places close to Best Western. Only short distance from Neyland Stadium. I have stayed here several times and had each time they have been wonderful.

"first timer"

4
04/08/2016

Was pleasantly surprised with the stay. Clean & exceptionally friendly staff. I stay 150 nights out per yr. and this hotel was comparable to any other chain that I use frequently. Breakfast was prepared fresh, coffee was stocked and hot for a morning treat. Wanda especially, and the entire staff were professional and efficient.

"Excellence and Friendliness all in one place"

4
30/07/2016

This is one very nice hotel, located in a great location that is located not very far from the highway. The information given at a late arrival was very well appreciated. In the morning we had the continental breakfast and it was very good. When we checked out, I was given two goodie bags that had a bottle of water, fruit and a granola bar. I thought that this was very nice of the front desk to have for its guests. If I am ever in the area again, this will be the hotel of choice as it treats its guests like they are at home.

"Knoxville Friendliness"

29/07/2016

Best Western Plus is a great value for a family vacation when you want to be comfortable but are budget conscious. The rooms are big and clean, the breakfast ready when you are with variety that should start everyone's day off just right. The staff here in Knoxville aren't just pleasant, they are friendly and helpful. They focus on service. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access in and out to major highways and local shopping. Excellent value.

"Nice for an overnight stay."

4
19/07/2016

We stayed here overnight on our way through town. It is the nicest Best Western I've seen in a while. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were large enough to fit an army cot in for our 3rd child. The breakfast was above average for typical hotel free breakfasts. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

"Great hotel stay experience!"

5
19/07/2016

I travel on a regular basis and stay at a lot of hotels, but most pale in comparison to my recent hotel stay experience at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn. I needed a room for one night and possibly a second night depending on the outcome of my business day, so when I called Best Western to make a reservation, I was greeted by Rosanna, an extremely helpful, friendly and proficient hotel receptionist. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail of my stay was perfect, including recommending restaurants, directions to an office supply store, corporate discounts and more. I ended up staying a second night and she set me up with another great room at the same special rate. Rosanna is very professional and a pleasure to work with. Likewise, I have had many hotel hot breakfasts during my business travels, but none so well prepared and delicious as what I enjoyed at this hotel. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, which is very uncommon! The breakfast hostess, Wanda, was very attentive to the presentation, quality and quantity of food she served and genuinely cared if you were enjoying it. She even asked if the stawberry compote for the waffles or crepes was too sweet or if it needed additional strawberries. I would return to this hotel for the breakfast alone! Friendly and professional staff, nice hotel accommodations and great food = an excellent hotel experience! I will return!

it is close to family and friends with many restaurants nearby. It is also close to interstate for easy access. Nice size pool. We stay there often and would definitely recommend to others traveling in the area..

We frequently travel and look and generally don't like to spend over $100 per night. This was one of the best places we have stayed at. Comfortable beds. Thermostat controlled quiet a/c. Clean. Full breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, plus several other choices. The room was spacious and everything was well laid out and it was obvious the place was considerably better than a standard average room for the price range we look for. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We pulled in at 2 AM. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We walked to the room and once inside, we were hit with a very musty smell. I immediately sprayed the Lysol I had, and all was fine. In the morning we were too late for breakfast (7-9 am). As we were headed out, we walked to get coffee and saw yogurt in the refrigerator. Wanda heard us in the kitchenette area and offered the kids bagels. Next, she offered pastries. In a matter of seconds we had bagels and 4 types of pastries to choose from! She then said there was only one banana out and offered to get more. She checked on us while eating and then again before she locked things up. Wanda, thanks for your warm spirit, kindness, and conversation. You blessed us this morning. As my Pastor always says, it is a blessing to be a blessing. Have a blessed day, Wanda!

After feeling rushed by an impatient front desk employee (night shift) we were relieved to see that the room was very clean and comfortable. Also the breakfast was impressive and the rest of the staff in particular the cleaning staff were very courteous and polite.

We felt safe and well provided for. very comfortable room and the beds were so comfortable we slept like a log. A?C is not the quietest so we turned the unit fan to run constantly and that was okay then. we'll likely stay there again.

By far the best hotel we stayed at on our 5000 mile road trip this May and June. We were on our way home from our multi-destination road trip with our 13 year old grandson and stopped here very late on Friday night. It was about 2 am when we arrived and we were all exhausted from trying to outrun the storms in Virginia all day. The clerk at the front desk was very understanding and helpful. He got us checked in very efficiently. We were all amazed to find such a huge, immaculate, comfortably laid out space when we got to our room! We did not ask for a suite, but this unit had more space than some of the suites we had stayed in! Plenty of room to walk around the furniture without bumping into it or each other. I usually book Best Westerns because they have some of the most comfortable beds of the hotels in the same price range and this was our first stay at this hotel. We were amazed at the quality of this hotel for the price. It was one of the least expensive places we had stayed on this trip. The beds were extra comfortable and the linens were soft and snuggly. So snuggly that we slept in too late to get breakfast and had to call down to the front desk to ask for a late checkout! The manager was very accommodating with that as well. When we were loading our luggage, one of the guests had a flat tire near where we were parked. One of the hotel staff, asked my husband if he could borrow a lug wrench to change the guest's tire. My husband let him borrow our wrench and the staff member happily changed the guest's tire. That is what I call going out of your way to help others! I was very disappointed that we could not stay longer than one night in this beautiful hotel with it's wonderful staff. There are many things to do and see in and around Knoxville and we would have stayed longer if we had not had to be back in Albuquerque by Sunday evening. Albuquerque. This will definitely be included in our list of places to stay when we plan our next adventure!

"Great One Night Stay"

Great hotel. It is clean, breakfast was great, and I slept without issue. The bed was a little hard but other than that, everything was superb. The price was fair too. Ill definitely come back if I have to stay in Knoxville again.

"Excellent choice"

29/06/2016

Our experience with Best Western is almost always good to excellent. That was certainly the case here. From Virginie at the front desk, to the small pool, to a blessedly quiet AC unit, and a perfectly acceptable included breakfast, our one night stay here was excellent.

"Highly recommend, very reasonable"

This was a fabulous experience! What a beautiful hotel mountain lodge lobby and very nice, comfortable, updated, super clean room! Close to restaurants. You can even walk to Parkside Grill where we ate which was delicious and very reasonable! This hotel had a great breakfast and Wanda was a great breakfast hostess. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located near the interstate and easy off and on. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Great Priceline deal!"

27/06/2016

We don't normally book Best Westerns, because they are usually dated and I'm never sure what type of stay we will have. However, Priceline gave us a great deal on this hotel, and we were very pleased with our stay. The rooms are spacious and the hotel was very clean. I'm extremely picky about where we stay, and for the money we spent, this exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was really good, with lots of variety. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no indoor pool (there is a nice outdoor pool that we used), and the breakfast was only served until 9, which can be hard when you're traveling. I recommend!!

"This is THE ONE to STAY IN!"

I have never met such wonderful people as the staff at Best Western Cedar Bluff Inn. They saw to my every need and then some. The room was immaculate, bed very comfortable, noiseless room, wonderful tub and shower, plenty of towels, efficient maid service, terrific free breakfast, great amenities such as flat screen TV, refrigerator and wet bar (in Executive Suite). I would come back again and again.

"Excellent value for a well-maintained property with great service"

23/06/2016

Arriving in Knoxville last Saturday after crossing the beautiful Smoky Mountains, I stopped here for the night. I won this excellent 3-star hotel via Priceline Express Deals and scored it for $65/night (Total with tax and fees: $82.58). A wonderful value for this price for the following reasons: 1. Knoxville is a small city yet has a lot of hotel options in this Cedar Bluff area (about 20 minutes to downtown). There are at least 10 hotels within a 10-minute radius so talk about a competitive area that keeps this hotel on its toes. 2. The hotel is a 3-story building: a bit older but very well maintained. I asked for a high room and was assigned Room 301, which is at the very end nearest to the highway. Parking is around the hotel in a U-shape with only one end in and out of the property. 3. A grocery store (Kroger Marketplace) is about 5 minutes away. Many restaurants within easy reach. 4. The front desk manager (Christine) welcomed me warmly. She worked with me on my request to be upstairs and to be on the quieter side. She explained the free morning breakfast hours, parking layout, and pitched the benefits of joining the BW Rewards program. She was such a good sport that I joined on the spot. 5. Housekeeping: Since I was only there overnight, I did not see how well they reset my room. But, I found the room wonderfully clean, the toilet had an old-school “sealed for your protection” wrapper on it, and the everything was stocked. 6. Breakfast buffet: Wanda, the breakfast hostess, was pro-active making sure that the ample buffet was fully stocked and that nothing got too messy. There were a wide variety of items: fresh whole fruit as well as a cut-up fruit mix, a waffle maker, scrambled eggs, various breads and muffins, milk, yogurt, a juice machine, and actual real silverware to use with solid plates. You don't see this very often in moderate hotels anymore. 7. The décor is focused on upgraded mattresses and linens. The carpet looked quite new and tasteful. Each room has a fridge and microwave, which is excellent to find. I liked that the TV remote was one of those Microclean design which don't have buttons for germs to hide in. The bath towels were in good order with good absorbency. Some very minor downsides: 1. Road noise: Being by the interstate means that large 18-wheelers will whoosh by. The AC unit and double-paned windows can only mask so much so you may want to bring a pair of foam earplugs if you are very sensitive to noise. Given that I'm from a large city, it didn't bother me. 2. The sink is outside the bathroom (tub/toilet area), which is perfectly fine with me. But, the carpet at the sink area leaves little doubt that it will get wet time and again. I opted to lay down a clean towel in the area to sop up any water as well as to prevent my feet from touching that area of carpet. 3. Directional room number signs: When I got to the third floor, I was confused on which hall to go down. Only later did I realize that there are signs but are near the ceiling and blend into the background since they are beige. They should be lower at eye-level and in more contrast to the wallpaper. Overall, this property is a great value for the money and is highly recommended. You get a clean well-maintained property, warm and friendly staff, an ample breakfast buffet, and a solid well-appointed room for your money. I'd stay here on another visit to Knoxville. 22/06/2016

Every one from Vivianne and Debra at the lobby desk, Wanda in charge of the breakfast buffet, and Maria who made sure my room was clean and provided me with clean towels, and many folks behind the scenes made my visit to Knoxville to take care of my sick brother a comforting and safe place to stay. The rooms are clean, the beds have cozy linens, the breakfast and evening cookies are a delight. The folks are sweet and friendly, and I felt like I was staying with family.

"2 star @ best"

2
22/06/2016

Booked this hotel through Priceline. Still feel like I paid way too much for the quality of this hotel. Priceline and most website lists this as a three-star. But I would never give it more than 2. It's an older Hotel not very soundproof. The air conditioning unit through the wall to the outside did not cool the room very well. Everything about the hotel just gives you an old outdated feeling. I'm not sure I will trust Priceline again with their star rating. I'm not sure what the Plus in the Best Western Plus name means. But this is just a typical Best Western. Nothing special.

"Pleasant Clean Stay"

21/06/2016

Needed 2 rooms,2 days and queen beds- not easy to find. BWCBI had a great price and exactly what we needed. The rooms were large, very clean, and comfortable. Comfy beds, pillows, sitting chair and ottoman. The air conditioning was good but became a tad loud, a few slight pushes adjusted housing and quiet once more. Lots of little touches in room were nice, microclean remote, lap desk, usb outlets by bed, micro, fridge, coffee maker. The bathroom had a couple glitches, the toilet was not seated properly and moved slightly when seating. The tub faucet also improperly installed was facing the wall. The bathroom was however one of the cleanest I've seen in recent days. The included extensive breakfast was a huge surprise. The usual offerings of cereal, breads, waffles etc but also hot eggs, gravy and biscuits. First day the eggs had ham mixed in which precluded some from partaking, they may want to reconsider as many don't eat pork. They had a fresh fruit compote, and a bar of mix ins of walnuts, raisins, etc, Many teas, and beverages were available. And 2 things that made my stay comfortable, almond milk and several types of greek yogurt! The clerks were nice and friendly checking in and out. A little odd was the lack of offering my receipt, I had to ask for it, but it was quite busy and may have been an oversight. While the location is near the interstate the outdoor pool was situated making it quite private. There are many restaurants in immediate area and nearby shopping.

While en route to Ohio from South Carolina, we stayed overnight at Best Western Knoxville North to break up the trip. The room was roomy and clean, the folks at the front desk were friendly, check-in/out was quick and easy and the full breakfast in the morning was a great send off. I recommend...

We travelled to Knoxville for a tumbling meet at the convention center. This hotel was a quick 15 minute drive from downtown and a comfortable stay with terrific free breakfast as well as countless dining options nearby. My 8 year old enjoyed the outdoor pooling and I enjoyed the lounge chair!!

"Coffee in the Lobby 24/7"

5
11/06/2016

We arrived after 12:30 am, exhausted from traveling ten hours Wednesday. The night desk clerk had to let us in the back door because there was no parking available in front that late, and all entrances other than the main lobby are accessible only via room key card at that hour. We were thrilled to learn that both regular and decaf coffee are available in the lobby all day and night. The desk clerk made a fresh pot for us after Hubby told her the coffee wasn't very hot. We loved our double room on the third floor and could have stayed indefinitely, with the mini-refridge and microwave, plus plenty of drawer space and floor space. We also loved that the sink and vanity area was separate from the toilet/tub room. Furnishings included a flat screen TV , easy chair, computer desk and chair with fast complimentary wi-fi, night stand, 3-drawer dresser, and full length mirror. Other amenities included iron and board, laundry service, coffee maker, ice bucket, luggage rack, lots of hangers, hair dryer, plentiful thick towels, and upscale personal care items. I was particularly impressed with the shower wall dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash - much preferable to bar soap. The hotel even provides make-up removal towelettes and a shoe shine cloth. The bed was very comfortable, and a choice of firm and soft pillows was standard offering. The room was quiet, and the darkening curtains kept the sun away until we chose to greet it. The most pleasant surprise during our stay was complimentary breakfast, served 6-9 am. We almost never eat comp hotel breakfasts because cheap, processed fake food is standard fare. Not Cedar Bluff Inn. We were incredulous that they actually offered a fresh fruit cocktail, including pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew, and sliced oranges. Scrumptious! They also provided fresh whole bananas and apples. I was pleased to find oatmeal, though instant. I'll eat plain instant oatmeal and, since the hotel provides real cinnamon, granola, dried fruit and nuts, I was able to create a marvelous healthy concoction. Almond milk, in addition to cow milk, was a most welcome substitute. Of course you can opt for the typical dry cereals, waffle mix, yogurt and Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs and pork meat with gravy. The eggs seemed like they came from a mix, and we don't eat pork, so we skipped that part. All in all this was a wonderful stay. The location is convenient, less than a mile from the I-75 exit ramp. You don't hear any highway noise. My only complaint was that the electrical outlets in the desk lamp didn't work and my camera battery didn't recharge overnight. We'd definitely stay here again.

"Amazing!!!"

07/06/2016

Everything about this place was amazing, from the service and attentive staff to the cleanliness of the room. If the coffee ran out, all our ad to do was mention it to one of the staff, and they drop everything to make you happy. I would definitely recommend travelers to come here. Great for one or more night stays with many restaurants within walking distance.

"Wonderful breakfast service! "

02/06/2016

Wanda made us feel right at home during breakfast. Our group loved the coffee and build your oatmeal options. Room was very clean and staff was nice. Located right off of highway with food options nearby. Will stay again if travel takes me back this way.

We stayed for over a week and it was wonderful. Room was spacious, WiFi worked well, breakfast was good and they switched it up daily. We got to know the staff and they are great and friendly people. In the whole time we were there, I never heard a sounds from any adjacent rooms. I can't say enough to support this great hotel.

This was a clean, comfortable motel with very nice breakfast and very nice, helpful personnel. The area was very nice and it was close enough to the freeway without being on top of it ,not noisy.. Only trouble I ran into was the very low toilet seat-lowest I've ever seen.

"Great Customer Service!"

29/05/2016

This Best Western is nice enough for the price. We were only there overnight, and with taxes it came to $160 for a room with 2 queen beds for me and my 7YO son. The real value in staying there, however, was the customer service. From the minute we checked in, it was excellent. I had booked 2 rooms, one for me and my son, one for a friend. When we got there, they gave us adjoining rooms, but separated the room charges so I only paid for my own even though I had reserved them both on my card. After the rooms were taken care of by Christine at the desk, I asked for food recommendations as we had been in the car for hours. Christine gave us menus to look at, and ultimately a coupon for the Parkside Grill once we had decided to go there. It was walking distance and was just what we needed. (*But in the interim she signed me up as a BW Rewards person after explaining it was super easy and worth it. I don't need one more value card, but she wasn't a hard sell. I think I'll def use it in the future.) Once we got back from dinner, my kiddo wanted nothing more than to jump in the pool. When I asked Rosanna at the front desk where it was, she told us and then kindly gave pool towels to my son. This question turned into a good 10 minute conversation with her about how she was originally from Boston, but had moved to TN to be near her daughter in college. Anyway, this to say, that we had yet another really thoughtful interaction with the staff where they weren't simply doing "just enough". (Of note, because we arrived at 5pm on a Friday on a holiday weekend- when most people have punched out, understandably). Free breakfast the next morning was really crowded because the hotel was host to a kids convention in town, but the staff handled it really well. After breakfast, at 9:40 am, my son suited up and wanted to swim one last time. When we got to the front desk to get another towel, the gentleman notified us that the pool did not open until 10 am. We were checking out at 10:30 am. My son was as devastated as one might think, and before his face fell too far, the man said, "Let me see what I can do." And just like that, the pool was opened early for us. HAPPY KID!! So really, the hotel itself was great for the money, but the real value was with the kind and professional folks who work there.

"Pleasantly Surprised"

29/05/2016

We were in town for a Destination Imagination Conference. We had never stayed at a Best Western before. Most other hotels around us were completely booked, so we decided to stay here not knowing what to expect but booking it based on others reviews. We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The beds were very comfortable. The full breakfast in the mornings was a bonus we weren't expecting. It even had make your own Belgian Waffles. Everything was clean and well maintained. And you could tell it had been updated. Even granite counter tops in the bar area of our room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I'm in Knoxville.

23/05/2016

We purchased our rooms through Priceline sight unseen. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The lobby was very inviting. Upon entering the hotel a fresh lemon scent was noticed. In my opinion, that usually means the hotel is clean. As soon as we checked in, we were given free cookies at the front desk. That was a tasty welcoming surprise. Our rooms were great. The showers had shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers so we didn't have to dig through our luggage just to take a shower. The corner of the room had a great reading nook with a light behind a comfy chair with an ottoman. Updated furniture and nice bed linens. Free hot breakfast with waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries and cereal. This Best Western is very well managed. I would definitely stay here again.

14/05/2016

The staff is very caring and helpful. I needed to extend my stay due to my husband being hospitalized. They expressed concern for both of us. The breakfast is varied and excellent. They use regular dishes and silverware, not paper or plastic. It was a very comfortable place and I will definitely stay there when I am in the area. My husband did enjoy his 1 night stay with me after being discharged from the hospital.

"A great experience especially considering the price"

4
06/05/2016

Staff very nice. Room on 3rd floor. I could hear traffic all evening. It's annoying, but it isn't so bad that you still notice it either working on a computer or watching TV. It's in a part of town that appears to have been developed with the last ten years. All the buildings look about the same age. Car navigation system had no trouble finding it. It's Cinco de Mayo. There is a Mexican restaurant very nearby that was packed. There is a separate review. Breakfast had things for all diets and ages. I saw kids eating just about everything, including Mickey Mouse waffles. The scrambled eggs were dry. BUT, an endless supply of bacon can make up for a lot. I've stayed at places that were a lot worse and cost a lot more. This place is a good value. I'd stay there again and suggest you give it a try.

"Impressed--not what I expected"

06/05/2016

We were traveling through from Arkansas back home to NC when my husband needed a much needed break from driving. I read the reviews on our trusty trip advisor app and decided on best western. We were only going to shower and sleep for a few hours before heading on the road again and the price was right. This was our 3rd stay at best westerns on this trip and was the best one so far. We arrived around 10:00 pm and check in was easy. We requested a room at a particular location so our window would overlook our truck and trailer and they easily accommodated. We stayed on the 3rd floor overlooking the back parking lot. When we walked in the room, my husband said "wow." I agree. It was really nice. And clean. We had 2 queen beds, nice spacious room and the sink was outside of the shower/toilet area (which I love). Beds were COMFY!! It was soft but not too soft. 4 pillows on the bed and I used 2 of them while hubby only used 1. We slept great! To be right beside of I-40, I expected some highway noise but we didn't hear a thing. Not sure if that was because we were on 3rd floor or were just that tired, but was impressive nonetheless. Most important to me, it looked CLEAN. That is my number one thing to look for. If the place isn't clean I will go somewhere else--even if it means I pay more money! I was pleasantly surprised at this BW and would most definitely stay here again. Only downside is parking was a little tight. We were in a pickup truck towing a 15 foot trailer. Nowhere to park in front so we headed around back. There is only one way in and the same way out (it doesn't loop around like we thought--pool blocks it) so my husband had to turn around in the parking lot. Luckily, there were few cars there (and the ones who were parked there were strategically parked and he was able to turn around.) Had the hotel been packed with cars, this would have been more challenging. Perhaps signage to indicate that this is only entrance/exit would help. Another small issue was the shower was slow to drain (and it was a quick shower) We left around 4:45 am to get on the road and were able to just drop our keys off at front desk with lady and pick up our to go breakfast (they gave us that option when they found out we wouldn't be there for breakfast) typical fruit, water, and granola bar which is a nice way to leave and will help us get on down the road without stopping for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again. Without hesitation.

We stayed at this hotel about a month ago and we really liked it. It is clean and welcoming. The staff are nice and friendly. The breakfast has a very good selection. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I like hotels that leave 3 to 4 bath towels and a good selection of TV channels. There is every restaurant you may want to eat at, just within a mile and there are plenty more plenty more in a 2 mile radius.

Nice stay, enjoyed better than the Hilton hotel. Was there on business and was able to have a nice relaxing room to come back to. hotel in doing some remodeling but that was never an issue. Breakfast was okay depending on the day, fresh fruit instead of can would be nice. Located near all major shopping locations, minutes from the mall and many restaurants. Overall nice experience for a first time visitor.

When I got this hotel thru my online, at first, I was disappointed to see Best Western. I have had multiple bad lucks with this brand. Not a fan...since the ratings were so great, I had some hope. We found the place to be very very clean. Cleaning program gets two thumbs up ! Breakfast was good. Eggs tasted like real eggs. Real plates and silverware. Saw almond milk! Green tea was really good. Great value ! I don't change my view on BW but when in Knoxville, I'll be sure to check this place out again. Well done Ceder Bluff Inn !

We had a very nice first floor room. We were a group on a bus trip so we did not specify anything special about the room. I am classifying this as "couples" because it was just my husband and me, but we were part of a bus trip. That isn't an option that you give.

This was an excellent hotel for the value. The breakfast was excellent wit hot eggs and meats. Comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Would stay here again. Only problem was road noise from nearby interstate so ask for a room on the opposite side.

"Very much worth the discounted rates!"

11/04/2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had no problems and the staff was very friendly. Worth every penny. The hot breakfast was excellent. Not happy that the pool was not open yet, but it was too cold anyway. Just wish that it was heated to use year round.

"Best Western Plus"

08/04/2016

It's not a 5 star hotel but for the price I was very satisfied. The staff was some of the best I'v seen. The coffee was ready day or night. When the AC acted up it was fixed before I returned later that same afternoon. Parking was easy. The noise level on the side of I40 was not bad at all in the room. As we have family in Knoxville we will stay there again in the future.

"excellent hotel"

the staff and breakfast were excellent, it was located close to several businesses and restaurants. The front desk staff went out of their way to see that we were satisfied. It was a very nice. clean place to stay.

Very clean comfortable room and great breakfast made it well worth the stay. We came to visit University of Tennessee and stayed here and visited Pigeon Forge. Staff is very helpful and nice. Cleaning staff was very efficient and took pride in their work.

02/04/2016

This, by far, was one of the nicest BW hotels we have stayed in. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good and offered a little bit of everything. There were restaurants near by in walking distance.

"Wonderful value!"

01/04/2016

We had a wonderful stay at a very affordable rate. The room was very comfortable and clean. The free breakfast offered great variety of delicious food with some healthy options too! Staff were very friendly and hospitable.

"Excellent hotel with many amenities"

31/03/2016

We stayed there recently. This hotel is everything a great hotel should be. Our room on the 3rd floor was exceptionally clean, modern and quiet. The complimentary full breakfast was the best we have ever had. All the staff were very congenial, professional and efficient. I left a book there. It was found and returned to me.

"Excellent Hotel and Amenities"

27/03/2016

We were very pleased with our room - it was clean, well stocked, excellent decor, well located near everything we needed and offered Wi-Fi. The staff were professional, very pleasant and friendly. We loved the excellent full breakfast - a great way to start off your day. Overall, it was a great experience. I will stay here again and will recommend it to anyone staying in the Knoxville area.

personal service all round right down to the hot beverage bar and fresh cookies and fruit... which is available all night and day. We would definitely repeat the stay and look for Best Western in the future.

23/03/2016

Reserved the day before for a very quick trip. Needed to add a cot to the room at the last minute. Got in at midnight and room was all set up. Good breakfast the next morning and lots of room in the breakfast area.

21/03/2016

Conveniently located in an area with lots of restaurants. There is a Sears Outlet with great deals. Room is very good sized, clean, comfortable and an extra sink outside the bathroom which is very handy. Coffee and fruits like bananas, oranges or apples are available 24 hours near the reception area and good substitute if you have to leave early before the complimentary breakfast starts.

"Awesome"

20/03/2016

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Really went out of their way to help you. The hotel is very clean and modern. Breakfast was the very best I have had at any hotel. Would recommend this to anyone!

"Super Nice! KID FRIENDLY!!"

5
20/03/2016

-clean- -roomy- -comfortable beds- The floors were clean and seemed new! The window unit is controlled by a wall device and controls the temperature very well! My toddler couldn't get into anything dangerous....the room was already child proof! And the staff was super nice! A guy named Jim behind the counter was extra friendly and didn't make it awkward! I wish every Best Western was like this place!!!

"Great ending"

5
18/03/2016

Hotel staff was extremely helpful...suggested a breakfast bag to go with water, banana and cereal bar as we had an early flight before breakfast was served. Hotel was clean and close to restaurants for dinner. Would recommend this hotel and was only 10 or 15 minutes from Knoxville airport.

"Super comfortable with great Southern Hospitality!"

5
16/03/2016

The rooms were very clean, the hotel overall was so much more than I expected. Our beds were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was also great, lots of choices for a variety of people. Not to mention, the hotel was super quiet in a great location. We will definitely be returning.

"Had a great visit, staff was nice and room was clean"

15/03/2016

We had a great stay at this hotel! We received a main room floor which had a window that opened all the way, which was really nice. Many places only open the window if at all; maybe 3 inches. The sink was outside of the bathroom; which I like. The bed was clean and comfortable with great pillows. Coffee 24 hrs was nice. My hubby is a smoker and the end of the hotel near our room didn't offer a smokers area but all other areas outside were? Odd. In the bathroom your shampoo, conditioner and bodywash are in bulk in the shower instead of small containers. The only drawback was the conditioner barely came out when you pushed the knob. A pea size was offered per pump and since my hair is longer it took a long time to get enough out that was roughly a tablespoon of conditioner. I know that's a very minor thing and it's the only thing I'd improve on. Great stay; priceline made it a great price on the express deal. Pool is outside.

"Very friendly"

13/03/2016

Clean, comfortable and friendly. Well worth the stay. I will be returning. From the woman at the desk to the housekeeper, everyone was very welcoming, not to mention home made cookies! Room was immaculate and comfortable. Had a wonderful sleep

"Surprisingly nice hotel"

11/03/2016

Had a late arrival, the staff was excellent the hotel and rooms were very clean and up to date. Did not try the breakfast as we left early but there was coffee in the lobby. This is the best Best Western I have stayed in.

"Satisfied"

09/03/2016

I have stayed at this hotel for 4 weeks during business trips. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are updated and clean. The beds are clean and comfortable. The bag lunch at the counter in the morning is a great snack before lunch. I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family.

"Clean, quiet, comfortable place"

07/03/2016

A pleasant experience, from check in to check out. Comfortable, clean, and modern rooms, great mattress, lots of water pressure for the morning shower, helpful and friendly staff, everything I could ask for!

"Overall Impressions of hotel"

5
05/03/2016

This is a well appointed nice hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are nice. Bathrooms and shower great. We have yet to try the breakfast. Coffee, hot chocolate and apples are available until well into the evening.

"not friendly to handicap"

3
04/03/2016

We were disappointed with the pillow top bed for the person in our group that is handicap. They needed a firm bed and spent a miserable night, unable to move all night long due to the extremely soft beds. We were also very disappointed in the quality of food and went to Chick-a-fil to get breakfast as the hotels breakfast foods tasted that bad.

"No 3 Star Here"

3
28/02/2016

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Elevator and room smelled of mildew. Walls scared up and carpets are ripped and stained. Truckers in the lobby waiting for cabs. It is clean for the most part and the breakfast area was clean and well taken care of. It is an OK place but NO 3 STAR. If you are looking for luxury, go somewhere else. Staff was friendly. It is not upscale, just average at best. Area is safe. Parking area is not well lit.

"Very clean, friendly hotel with free breakfast"

5
27/02/2016

We stayed at this hotel for the first time, when we had to stay overnight in town for family in the hospital. The staff was Great to us and the hotel and bed was clean and comfortable. Also great free breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area.

"Always the Best"

5
23/02/2016

We continue to reserve a room at this hotel due to its cleanliness, hospitality, and the great breakfast. This visit we were on to Pigeon Forge, with a disappointing cabin in Eden Crest. Upon arrival in Pigeon Forge, we realized how fortunate we were to have stayed in a clean room.

"Great Experience"

17/02/2016

Was very pleased with this Best Western Plus, nicer then we expected, front desk person was so pleasant on the phone and when we arrived. Everything was neat and clean from lobby to our room. Would for sure stay at this hotel again. We walked to a good restaurant for dinner.

"Continued satisfaction"

5
14/02/2016

I rebooked to stay at this hotel a second time because we were very satisfied with the motel from a previous visit. Like the first visit everything was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the facility very clean and a nice selection for breakfast. We will stay there again in the future.

"Beautiful hotel with extraordinary service"

5
12/02/2016

This is a nice hotel, very conveniently located. Rooms are beautifully outfitted. Most importantly: the staff is VERY accommodating. Though there was not a restaurant at the facility, the "included breakfast" was quite good. Our extended family, about 20 in all, stayed here very recently. The staff was aware that we were there for a bereavement, and they extended every courtesy to us. When I repeatedly thanked Jim of Guest Services for the hotel staff's many kindnesses, I was told that he would like to think that a hotel would treat him the same way if he were in our circumstances. Another member of the staff, Afio, got us hot beverages when we returned late in the evening. When we left after several days, I felt a twinge of sadness leaving, almost as though we were leaving family!

"Great updated Hotel the best continental breakfast I have ever had"

"We love this hotel"

5
06/02/2016

When we go to Knoxville to bowl, we always stay at this Best Western. The staff is kind and the Presidential Suite is a very nice home away from home. It has plenty of room and the tub is relaxing. The location is just across the street from Strike and Bowl. You can bowl, have a few drinks, sit and talk in the bar area and be in your room within 5 minutes when you finish. If you are celebrating your anniversary or birthday be sure to call and let the staff know because they are really good at making the day very special. The bed is really comfortable too. We never hear any noise from other rooms either. This is a very nice place to stay!

"Exceptional Service"

5
05/02/2016

Hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable and it is conveniently located with many restaurants and shops nearby. Staff was exceptional. Traveling with a 17 foot bag of vaulting poles is difficult and many hotel staff members cringe when they see it. The staff at this hotel didn't hesitate, finding us a secure location for storage and wishing us good luck on our way out in the morning. Top notch service.

"The Best!"

5
04/02/2016

This was my 3rd time staying here and each time was a wonderful experience! Everyone was extremely nice, always said hi with a smile when they saw you. Every time I saw the housekeeper that works the evenings she was always working, cleaning something. It shows as the hotel is very clean! Wanda, the breakfast host is wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast is terrific, well stocked and maintained. Will be definitely returning.

"Nice motel "

5
25/01/2016

We had a good experience at this Best Western. The motel is clean and looks very nice. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The motel was quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. Cookies and coffee were available in the evening and a good breakfast was available in the morning, with a nice selection and waffle maker. Restaurants were close by. The lady who checked us in recommended a nearby restaurant, which we enjoyed.

"Great Hotel and Servide"

19/01/2016

Booked our one night stay with Priceline in Knoxville on our journey to Florida. On check in we were offered our choice of fresh baked cookies and enjoyed talking with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Our room was exceptionally well organized and metriculouly clean. Every effort was made to anticipate anything we might require. We enjoyed their high quality mattress that provided a great quality of sleep after a 12 hour drive. Much appreciated the fact that no noise was transmitted from the corridor. At breakfast we enjoyed a multitude of choices including freshly scrambled eggs, bacon, choice of juices, high quality coffee, choice of muffin, croissants, variety of breads, porridge, fruit cocktail and fresh fruit...apples, bananas, oranges. Could not have asked for anything better and the breakfast server was ever attentive to refilling and restocking coffee and other choices. Certainly went above and beyond the normal experience. A variety of outlets were provided for various charging of electronic devices. First time I have seen the abilty for USB charging.

18/01/2016

This was a quick stop after driving all day (11 1/2 hours) and just needed a place to sleep. Travelling alone and wanted to make sure I had a safe, secure, clean place. This hotel fit the bill! Excellent customer service at the front desk, wonderful breakfast. The room was clean, and all amenities were available.

"Great Hotel"

Love the hotel. It was nice, clean, spacious room and excellent staff. Great room for the price. Delicious breakfast. The hotel is surround my a variety of choices to eat. Great location. Love the lobby it was nice and spacious. The staff was great.

"Clean, quiet, safe, convenient and comfortable"

5
16/01/2016

This entirely non-smoking property is exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. The Plus status is well deserved, with all decor updated, warm cookies at check-in and additional breakfast choices at the free buffet. The room was modern; our 2 queen beds were great and the typically noisy HVAC was SO QUIET. The bath and shower were spotless, the carpet was clean and the new TV remote system used by BWs are a good answer to reduce germs. The best part of this BW is the staff. They are wonderful. The night mgr recommended a nearby restaurant which was fantastic.

"Excellent Location"

4
13/01/2016

This hotel is well situated for access to shopping and dining. It is fairly good value for the price. It had all the amenities of a Best Western Plus: WiFi, Breakfast, etc. Recommended for a stop off the interstate; it is very convenient.

"One of the nicer Best Western, wasn't happy with TV choices for kids"

4
05/01/2016

This is one of the nicer Best Westerns I have been too. Check in was a breeze and the rooms were nice, clean...no complaints. I was very disappointed that all of the kid channels are now a "buy channel" for the few Best Westerns we have stayed at recently. I shouldn't have to pay $2.99 to watch one 20 minute show on nickelodeon...I would rather pay the extra money and stay at a Hampton and not have the headache. The breakfast was typical but really made the stay. My son is very plain in terms of food and the eggs were mixed with ham...the attendant overheard my son and I speaking and she offered to make him plain eggs. That was very nice of her and just really made the stay that much better that I almost forgot about having to pay for kid shows. She definitely went above and beyond.

"Small and PERFECT!"

04/01/2016

You will not find any hotel in Knoxville, TN that has better service than the Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff. I return each time for business because of their outstanding service and their friendly manner. The room is large and has every comfort needed. I strongly recommend this hotel for the business or leisure traveler. I can choose any hotel and I always go back to it. No better stay for the money anywhere I have traveled! Thanks again to their wonderful staff! :-)

"very clean, friendly"

3
02/01/2016

Rooms and common areas were very clean. The room was quite spacious. It is an older hotel which has been renovated. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The location is good -just off the interstate and surrounded by many dining and grocery options. The price can not be beat!

"Just right"

5
27/12/2015

This is a well run hotel. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The fridge and the heating system were silent. My husband said that it was his best night's sleep in a week. It makes a difference when there are two people on duty at the reception. The staff was friendly and efficient. I do have a quibble with the breakfast: The eggs were cold and the pastries were either old or not sufficiently defrosted. They were like rocks. The coffee, though, was delicious as were the waffles. It was a treat to eat with real plates and utencils. Another little quibble: The parking lot was a bit dark at night. But my quibbles are minor ones. This is a fine hotel for a restful stop or the road from New Orleans to DC.

"Excellent Hotel"

5
10/12/2015

The hotel exceeded my expectations. We had already stopped at two hotels and they were terrible. The room was large and very clean. Also, the bed was awesome. The staff was very helpful. I had pulled a muscle in my back the day before and the doctor told me to use ice. The staff were helpful in giving me bags filled with ice and allowed us to exceed our check-out time to complete the treatment.

"Very helpful staff"

5
06/12/2015

We had a very professional staff by the name of Christine book us in; give us directions to a great restaurant (plus a coupon ) . After we returned we discovered that our TV wouldn't work for us - she came to our room to assist twice to help us both times with a big smile - I'm sure she had other things to do but to us we were all that mattered. A big thanks for all the time you spent with us - THANK YOU CHRISTINE....

"Thanksgiving Travel Oasis"

5
02/12/2015

My husband and I made an unscheduled stop in Knoxville, on the day after Thanksgiving. I called from my cell phone while on the road, and the entire process was painless and absolutely pleasant. When we finally arrived at the hotel, after a long day of driving and visiting family, the front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The lobby was decorated for Christmas, and it was really lovely! It was clean and bright and comfortable - and given that it was the 4th of 5 hotels we stayed at in a week, that really says something! Our room was excellent, well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The continental breakfast was excellent! My husband is generally not a fan of what most hotels consider to be "breakfast", but he was very pleased. The fresh, hot coffee and breakfast was exactly what we needed to set us on our way for the next leg of our holiday road trip.

"Great place to stay in Knoxville"

5
01/12/2015

Traveling the Sunday after Thanksgiving, it was such a respite to get off the crowded & wet interstate & relax at this hotel. Jim, at the front desk, checked us in & went the extra mile to make sure we had the correct directions to a local eatery. He was very helpful & pleasant. The lobby was decorated for Christmas which gave it a homey touch. The room keys are the scanner type & so much easier to use. The room was large & clean with the large bathroom being separate from the vanity & sink area. Bathroom had lots of thick towels & washcloths & there were soap & shampoo dispensers in the shower area. Beds were very comfortable. They had a nice hot breakfast with both waffle maker & pancake maker. The pumpkin batter gave the room a nice aroma. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs with diced ham, fresh fruit (apples & bananas) as well as mixed fruit compote along with cereal, breads & pastries. The breakfast attendant was present, helpful and anticipated any needs from diners. There were fresh cut flowers on the breakfast tables. The hotel is located close to a shopping center with a large Kroger grocery, along with numerous restaurants. It is very quiet; we did notice any noise inside the building or from the street. The only negative that my husband noticed was that the bathroom door did not lock.

"Traveling. Clean."

27/11/2015

Stayed here while traveling. We checked in after 9pm and checked out before 8am. Did not look around or use amenities. Slept well. Property, lobby, room and breakfast area was clean and well maintained. Free WiFi and breakfast. I would Hotel is convenient to interstate.

This hotel was extremely clean, centrally located and the staff was awesome. We were concerned about being on the west side of Knoxville but this was an excellent location. Complimentary cookies & coffee were good too

"Best Best Western"

5
22/11/2015

This location is one of the best I have stayed at. If I'm ever in the area again will definitely stay here. The staff, decor, breakfast were excellent. If I could give a score higher then "10", I would. Great place and conveniently located off a major highway and surrounded by restaurants and places to shop.

"Business"

19/11/2015

Bed could have been more comfortable, other than that everything else was great. I didn't have time to sit down an eat breakfast, I did grab a piece of fruit and Danish. They did offer a variety of things to choose from. The counter staff were polite and helpful.

"Knoxville marathon"

4
18/11/2015

My friend and I stayed here for three nights for the Knoxville marathon weekend. The room and bed were fine. There was lots to choose from for breakfast. There was also a gym, which was necessary to do some marathon warm up. However, I wish they had a hot tub or a sauna to help with the recovery from the run.

"Wonderful"

17/11/2015

You will not regret staying here. We loved every minute of our stay. We stayed in the Presidential suite and it was amazing. the whirlpool was wonderful. Biggest iv ever seen. If I ever go back to Knoxville, I will be staying at the Best western plus every time. love love love.

"Great Accommodations"

16/11/2015

This hotel was an excellent overnight stay. Late check-in was very accommodative. Staff very helpful in providing information to getting to downtown Knoxville locations for the next day. Location on/off interstate was convenient.

15/11/2015

We randomly picked this motel on our way south, what a luck little find. The lobby is beautiful and smelt so fresh and clean. From the time we checked in to the time we left everyone was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We were recommended a great little restaurant called Parkside Grille, and the breakfast was good, organized, and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

"Excellent Customer Care-Knowledgeable-Made me feel comfortable."

08/11/2015

The hotel and their accommodations at the Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn were excellent. Comfortable and relaxing decor. Large spacious rooms, with all the amenities that you need when staying away from home. The Staff was incredible, over the top in Kindness, Attentiveness, and attitude. Everything I asked from was done immediately. I held a meeting there as well and they did an outstanding job servicing our needs. We had the food items when we needed them and always had the drinks full and stocked. I never had to ask twice or remind them of anything, they were on the money with everything. Very Impressive! The General Manager of the property was also around, visiting with guests and making us feel at home and truly like we were his guests. Thank you Tyler for a great stay! Great location, and a Great Breakfast as well. I would highly recommend that anyone, and everyone stay at this hotel. This was my first time staying here, and I will be back, and will not hesitate to book any other hotel, but this one!

Service was excellent as well as the hot breakfast...but first two night in first room...WIFI was terrible...they switch me to another room...it was better, but in this room, the drain was clogged in the tub.

06/11/2015

Not the newest hotel in town but always clean and neat. Rooms are huge! Rooms have plenty of light and lots of outlets and usb plug-ins. Housekeeping staff is probably one of the most friendly I have encountered...certainly in this hotels price range. Breakfast is good and exceeds expectations for the amount you pay for a nights stay. This hotel is the best bargain in Knoxville!

"Great stay!!"

06/11/2015

This is a great hotel! Easy check in very friendly staff! Beds were super comfortable room was clean. Breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel. Was on our way to D. C just needed a room for one night but will definitely stay here again if in the area!

"Pleasantly Surprised"

5
03/11/2015

This was the first time we stayed at a Beat Western PLUS during our week vacation. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with the quality for the $$. At check-in we were greeted with a smile and processed very quickly. Our room was very clean. We enjoyed the extra touches such as the sign on the remote that it had been cleaned and the toilet bowl having a sealed wrapper and toilet paper roll folded decoratively. These are such small things that make a difference. The breakfast was great. We actually ate off of REAL plates! The eggs tasted flavorful as did the sausage and gravy. Wanda, the Breakfast Hostess came out several times to make sure everything was as we wanted and initiated conversation about our trip. All in all we were extremely impressed and will be looking for Best Western PLUS hotels as we continue our journey.

"great experience!"

Good hotel with very friendly staff. Clean room no problems. Only stayed one night so don't have much info to share about specifics. Will stay again if have the chance. No outside noise but I was on the opposite end of the interstate on third floor.

"Best Place to Stay While in Knoxville"

4
08/10/2015

There are a great many places to stay in Knoxville and where you stay depends a great deal upon who you're with, what you're doing in Knoxville and how accessible do you need to be to the major roads. I was alone on business and feel there is no better place for cleanliness, price, courtesy, convenience and accessibility to major thoroughfares. I have stayed at other hotels in Knoxville on prior trips and wish I hadn't. I will continue to return to this one.

Tyler J, General Manager at BEST WESTERN PLUS Cedar Bluff Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for sharing your experience! Our team is glad to hear that we exceeded your expectations during your visit with us. It is great to receive positive feedback and even better to hear that we are now your preferred place to stay in Knoxville. We look forward to your next visit! Best Regards,

"Not your Grandma's Best Western - Very nice stay"

5
08/10/2015

I think Best Western Hotels had a negative reputation at one time, but I can honestly say that they have some of the nicer mid-range properties these days. The Best Western at Cedar Bluff is no exception! The facilities are modern and clean. The staff is friendly. We were there for the UT game, and there is a game-day shuttle that services the hotel. There were even warm cookies on hand when we arrived back from the game. The rooms are modern and very clean. They have a very strict "no smoking" policy, and we were very comfortable here. As a bonus, there is a free continental breakfast in the morning. The hotel is a good location, near many restaurants, bars and shopping. It is reasonably priced, and I would not hesitate staying again or recommending to a friend.

"A little known high-quality hotel chain"

5
03/10/2015

The PLUS hotels are a higher quality group in the Best Western chain. The rooms are large, clean, and in good repair. The complimentary breakfast is much better than in similar hotels. The staff made us feel like they were glad to have us as guests. We have already reserved another stay.

"Off the Main Street"

5
30/09/2015

Finding the hotel required a sharp eye. The big sign was behind a tree and the little monument sign was easily seen but I still drove into the Whirlpool parking lot instead of the hotel lot. Once we were inside the lobby was clean and the fresh bake cookies and fruit were waiting for us. The front desk clerk was friendly and the check in process was quick even using our rewards points. The room was large and clean with good wi-fi. I like to use a wired connection but there wasn't one. It was quiet through out the night though we were only a couple of rooms away from the breakfast area. Breakfast was well stocked and they used real plates and silverware. The bathroom sink was in the sleeping area, not my preferred location. The sink stopper held water. The restaurant selection in the area is great with many retail stores nearby. We would stay here again

We have returned to this hotel twice in the last week. Always a pleasant stay, with great staff. Also, has a great location off the interstate. The moment you enter the lobby, the fresh flowers smell ever so wonderful. Can't say that about any other hotel.

The quality of my hotel experience at Best Western in Knoxville, Tennessee was very good. It is the hotel that I plan to used the next trip there. The only thing I would change was the breakfast. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was very clean and the overall experience was very good.

We were in Knoxville for a wedding and the beds at the hotel were very comfortable. There was a wonderful and great tasting breakfast selection. Everything was very clean and the staff was great. The only complaint would be the noise from interstate traffic.
