Best Western Hotel Kiefersfelden

There was no room service, e.g. after a strenuous working day I came back to an unmade bed, wet towels, used tea cups,empty tissue box. Most unpleasant. When I mentioned this to reception I was told that I should have switched on a green light if I want room service - something that was not explained during check in and was also not the case the last time I stayed in the hotel which was in January 26. At least the receptionist gave me fresh towels and a fresh tea cup! But nothing was cleared away.

Hotel located right next to the highway. A few hundred meters from the Austrian border. Very suitable for a road trip overnight stay. Very simple and economical interior, but everything is clean and new. The windows have good sound insulation, although the hotel is right next to the highway, we did not hear any noise in the room. Good parking. There is no refrigerator. Breakfast is quite simple, but everything is there. The breakfast room is too small for such a large hotel. Very friendly receptionist. NB! It is stated somewhere that check-in is until 23:30, but in fact the receptionist is there all night.

Basic room with what's needed. The only thing was that the heater in the room was turned on for 30 degrees, which was way to warm to sleep in

For on overnight during a long Journey between Italy and Germany is this a exzellent Choice . Clean, no Noise , staff are very nice and helpfull, breakfast and sleeping very good. Beds are exzellent, free parking Space, gasoline stadion and small Outlet Center in Short distanzierte.ä

Hotel claims to have airconditioning but in fact they only have water chillers that should cool the floor and walls. This system does not work well and this shows, the hotel has posted signs in the lobby and elevators asking to keep doors and windows closed in order “to help” the system to work correctly but it does not help. The room was humid (decent airco helps to remove the moist from the air) and warm as hell. Upon complaint we did not receive an apology or discount although we had a terrible night. We decided to leave after one night and cancel our second night. Avoid if you prefer airconditioning. 🥵

What's the main goal of an hotel? Offering a comfortable night to paying guests. For me it's near to impossible to sleep in a very humid 22+degrees room. The beds are very hard, sweat was dripping down my head.. I selected this hotel because it would have airconditioning. It simply has not. And telling from the leaflets posted in the elevator they get quite some complaints. They have a system that uses cool ground water to cool down the floors. Well, it does not work here. The owner should check the very definition of airconditioning, and remove it from the hotel description. Around 5 in the morning I managed to get some sleep, but then the room was very bright due to the curtains only blocking a little light. I am full in for the environment. I am vegetarian, drive an EV, have solar panels on my roof. The local gym has the same groundwatercoolingsystem and there it just works. The WiFi signal in my room was very poor; my phone would disconnect all the time. Unhappy and unsatisfied.
