This place was great! You're driving in what seems like the middle of nowhere then you come around a curve to see this big hotel. It's just outside town but seems to be the nicest hotel option in the whole area. Lots of great amenities and very clean. Dog friendly. Hot breakfast including sausage gravy was excellent! GF options too! Staff were very friendly. Close to many of the fossil dig sites. Would 100% stay here again!
The hotel room and reception was quite dated, but very clean and hotel staff great with tips on local area. Breakfast was good, although breakfast room quite same if the hotel was busy. Easy access from freeway and a good base for visiting Fossil Butt.
Pleasant room, very clean, and modern. Breakfast niche spacious and well supplied, including fresh fruit. There's no elevator, but a 1st floor room can be requested. For the long road, the motel is perfectly located. If you value comfortable appointments and no nonsense service at a fair rate, this is just right! Stay at Diamondville on your way to Fossil Butte National Monument. Very good choice for the weary!
Excellent. Staff is super friendly and the included breakfast is delicious with many options. The options were hot and varied by day. It was great to be able to fuel up before heading to the fossil quarries. There are not a lot of restaurant options in the town so the breakfast spread was very much appreciated. Clean rooms. This is my second time staying in this hotel for several days.
Well kept and quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly even though they were very busy. We would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in Kemmerer, Wyoming. We were excited to be there for the Oyster Ridge Music Festival. So the nights rest after the Festival was important to us.
Excellent hotel. Good rooms.. Good service. Breakfast was excellent, biscuits were particularly good..
Great hotel in small town with freindly and responsive associates. They went the extra mile with any small request, or stay modifications. We were there on a sold out July 4th week with 3 three rooms. All were clean and everything was in working order. Breakfast had large variety, and fresh eggs, and breads.
I chose this hotel because of its online rating. I was happy to find a clean and comfortable stay that worked for every one in my group. We were all very pleased with the breakfast offerings and look forward to our next stay.
Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very friendly. The room itself was very spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The water pressure in the shower was very good. There was plenty of parking spaces for all guests. The breakfast was phenomenal, even using fresh eggs for it and everything was constantly being replenished. We also found this location perfect for exploring Fossil Butte National Monument.
Modern and comfortable Bed was good Service was efficient and polite when requested without being pretentiously polite, just the way I like it In line with Best Western plus standards and easily the best hotel in the area
We were there for four nights ,the continental hot breakfast was the best we would definitely stay there again
We stayed here in between a visit to Fossil Butte National Monument and the national parks up north. We loved the stay! It was very clean, convenient and quiet and the check in staff was helpful and friendly. We did not need to use the microwave or fridge but it was useful to have in our room.
Nice hotel and great value. This hotel is located with easy access to Fossil Butte National Monument.
Stayed here for one night to do a fossil dig in Kemmerer. This hotel was a lovely surprise. Everything is clean and well kept. The room was great and the pool area inviting and relaxing. The cookies and cocoa in the lobby were a nice touch. The included breakfast was really good. The eggs in particular were the best hotel eggs I've ever had!
Most comfortable stay of the year for a frequent traveler! Comfortable, quiet room with a great breakfast!
This was a great hotel on our road trip across the Rockies and Blue Mountains. Will stay here again when a return trip is possible next year
Let me start with how clean the exterior and interior of this Best Western is, I haven't even checked out yet but wanted to leave this review. The staff has been great from check in until now. The Pool and Spa was a great way to let the kids play and soak our bodies from the travel. The kitchen staff was amazing both Jenny and Gala are the best. Very helpful with making sure my grandkids got a great breakfast even though it was close to closing time. Everything was awesome here and I recommend if traveling through to make this your stopping point, you won't be disappointed. Gina
Not all Best Westerns are equal, and this one is one of the tops I've been to. Everything was clean and comfy, with nice earth-tone decor in the rooms as opposed to the sterile minimalist aesthetic that seems so weirdly popular in hotels right now. The free breakfast was great, with dozens of food options and a nice woman who came through periodically and asked if there was anything I needed. Check-in/Check-out was a breeze. I'll be back.
We were very impressed by the size, layout and cleanliness of our room. There was hot coffee and cookies in the lobby. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and one of the best hotel breakfasts that we've ever had. We would definitely visit again!
the room was very clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. we had a late check in, so i was unable to use all of the amenities that are offered but will take advantage next time.
Our F350 diesel truck broke down and the sheriff who stopped told us to head to Kemmerer. We got a hotel room with our two dogs. We have been here waiting to get our truck back. This hotel is one of the nicest places. The breakfasts are great and the staff is very very nice. Thank you for your hospitality.
Very nice motel, always very clean, and very accommodating. Breakfast was tasty, hot, and plenty of it. We have stayed in this motel multiple times, and will continue to stay there whenever the need arises to stay in Kemmerer!
Excellent hotel with a delicious breakfast, very comfortable bed. Two types of scrambled eggs, breakfast burritos, waffles, pastries and deck real types of juice. Excellent value. I highly recommend this hotel. This is the best accommodation in the area. It is close to everything.
Great spot, amenities and service. Everything you need from a hotel pretty out there. Close access to lots of activities in the nearby and surrounding area (mostly outdoors). Would 100% stay again sometime
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Highly recommend. The breakfast was amazing, the staff went out of their way to make sure my stay was 100% satisfactory. I will definitely be staying here again.
This hotel had the best breakfast I've had at a hotel. Lots of choices and very clean. Delicious coffee. The attendants were very nice and attentive. They kept all of the breakfast items well-stocked and tables clean. There was even a basket of mints! I liked the cookies in the lobby when we checked in. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. There's not much to do in Kemmerer on a Sunday, though. Most restaurants were closed. We will definitely stay here again. In fact, we almost changed our return-trip plans so that our route took us back through Kemmerer so that we could stay at this hotel again!
Stayed one night here on a road trip and was very happy with my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. It's in a great location as well since it's not far from Fossil Butte National Monument or Downtown Kemmerer. I would definitely stay here again.
This Best Western was an excellent choice for our stay when we visited Fossil Butte National Monument. It was new, clean offered complimentary breakfast and had WiFi even though the location is very remote. I would recommend it for convenience and comfort.
Great place to stay for our annual fossil hunting adventures. Great heated and well maintained pool, friendly staff and breakfast was the best of the hotels we stayed at. Will definitely go back again!
Had to change reservations shortly before traveling. Front desk staff was very helpful and pointed me to the best value available. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the local community and its amenities. Treated very nicely overall.
Room was dirty on arrival, hadn't been cleaned. Sink had food packaging in it, food, brown smear and drain was plugged (so they hadn't cleaned it). Bathroom sink counter had whisker on it, tub had long red hair in it, bed had black men's back hairs in it on both sides of the bed. Had to spend time at 9pm forcing staff to clean it, while we sat in the lobby. Then spent hours with front desk and hotels.com trying to get a credit, only received Best Western points :-( Front desk tried to create a problem over my service dog, had to be firmly educated. Landscaping is neglected, entry to group event area smells like mold. Front desk staff put gorilla tape over the lock of the pool/back door all night, creating an unsafe security hazard (I watched her do it and it was still that way the next morning.
I stayed here for a 2 nite stay while visiting family. From start to finish I was happy with this property. Booked on line with a very reasonable rate. Friendly check in staff, room was clean and comfy, which included fridge and microwave. And hot breakfast included. Rather than repeating what has been previously has been written below, I concur that this is a very nice stay. No complaints from me!
Family trip to look for fossil's. Weather was a little cold but the pool made up for it. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was great with many choices. Rooms were clean and mattress was super comfortable.
An oasis of warmth and hospitality after a very long and cold day of traveling. Staff was more than helpful. Room was super clean and well-tended. Breakfast went beyond usual choices. Worth planning a stop here.
You would think that a small town like Kemmerer would not have many hotel choices, but you'd be wrong. I found the Best Western to the THE BEST hotel in town. The customer service is the best I've seen, not only for a small town, but I've not encountered this in large places such a Phoenix.
The beds were wonderful, the pool was clean and the hot tub was hot. The breakfast was great and there was a great variety of food. The staff was very professional. It was a great location. Overall great experience
We stayed in early Fall for a two-night stay, to do some fossil hunting. The hotel was easy to find during the day, but would benefit for some lighting to show the way for after dusk. The room was good size, bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the hotel soaps and lotions. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff were helpful too. Would definitely stay again if in the area!
We went to Kemmerer to bury my aunt's ashes. We also took time to talk to people. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We had spent summers in Kemmerer and it was fun to talk about the town and to people.
This was a very nice hotel. Everything was clean and organized and the price was very reasonable. I would stay here again if I were going through this area. I have started staying in Best Western hotels even though I have a rewards membership in the choice hotels. If all the hotels are like this I might transfer most of my business to best western.
Looking for a great Hotel in Kemmler. Then just make your reservation here. Look no further ! My family and I had a great time here. A wonderful breakfast and the pool is 24/7 so your scheduled activities do not get in the way of your relaxation ! Thanks
I had a brief stay here while traveling home through the area. The room was clean and comfortable, although the "crater bed" mattress needs to be updated. Breakfast was OK. Did not use pools or fitness center. Note: if you arrive on a Sunday, there is ONE place to eat - Pizza Hut.
Location was a little out of the way, but room was clean and staff was very polite. We traveled with our small dog and hotel was very accommodating and only charged a small pet fee. This was our second stay at a Best Western and definitely in our top two hotel chains. We traveled over 6,000 miles on this vacation so we definitely had an opportunity to trial several different hotel chains!
This is the nicest Best Western I've stayed at. It seems like a fairly new hotel, and was very clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and the room had little touches like small mints, pro folds on the towels, and little touches in the bathrooms that made it clear they cared about the little things that make a guest feel welcome. The breakfast was tasty with numerous choices, and the chef greeted guests with a smile and a friendly “Good morning!” Oilfield workers stay here, so each room has a boot tray, and it also has a good sized mini fridge, microwave and personal coffee maker. We plan on coming back to this area next year and will definitely stay here again.
Very clean, attentive staff, good breakfast and coffee. Thought it was a new hotel! Good location, loved the Fossil Butte visitor center, must see. Great shop in town for fossils and info. Will stay again.
Very nice, modern rooms with friendly staff. The breakfast buffet has a variety of good choices. No restaurant in the hotel, and limited dining options in town. We saw a family of pronghorns near the hotel, not sure if they are regular visitors.
This is a wonderful hotel. The hotel is clean and neat. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel was incredibly quiet. Even with a full house there was very little noise. We had two restful nights here. It is a great homebase when you are digging fossils. Breakfast was quite good with a large selection, and it was well stocked with everything. The staff and personnel were great and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay!
It was a typical Best Western. Staff were friendly and place was clean. We would stay here again no problem. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, but how can you really blame mechanical problem timeframes. Place felt really safe and right next to the main road.
This is *the* cleanest hotel we've stayed at in a long time. It was pet friendly. It had a nice little pet area for dogs to play. Every staff member we encountered seemed to take pride in their work. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was fresh and top notch, with a good number of options (even things like alternative milk products). The grounds were clean, and felt safe. This place was fantastic.
We were lucky enough to get the lady room available. Comfy beds, AC worked great, new hotel. Clean room and clean showers. Pool was small, but clean and refreshing after a hot day. Didn't try the breakfast.
We have stayed at numerous Best Western Plus hotels over the years. This is by far the best of the best. Hotel was very well taken care of and staff was very courteous and helpful. Definitely stay here again.
I usually stay at Best Western hotels when I travel for leisure or work. By far, hands down, the Best Western hotel in Kemmerer Wyoming is the best at cleanliness and hospitality out of all the Best Western hotels that I have stayed at over the past several year.
We stayed here for a short trip to do some fossil hunting. Great hotel - our son loved the pool, and overall the hotel was very clean, had friendly staff and was a great location for our adventure. Lots of nice small details, like almond milk as an option for breakfast, the black makeup washcloth in the bathroom, and two small bottles of shampoo & conditioner!
Great location, great hotel, great staff. Stayed here with some buddies on a motorcycle trip. Hotel is located at a main highway intersection. Hotel is large, clean, has plenty of amenities. Staff was very friendly and check in was quick. Room was spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was good. There's a pool for kids. Laundry facilities. Was quiet. Would stay here again in a heart beat!!
My whole family spent 5 days in Kemmerer Wyoming. My kids and grandkids loved the pool. Everyone was nice and helpful during our stay. We enjoyed Kemmerer and hope to go back in future and will definitely stay at this hotel.
My family and I have stayed at this particular hotel multiple times. The overall quality of this hotel has been consistently exceptional, and we will stay there again in the future. BW has some of the best quality breakfast with the most options. The rooms are always immaculate and never smell bad.
Top notch management at this sparkly clean Best Western. It is clear that the people here are proud of the job they are doing and happy to be here. Every detail was meticulously managed and the hotel staff attended to their guests every need. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked almost too well. The wifi worked without a problem. Cennady, in the breakfast room, was working alone and still managed to keep everything perfectly clean and stocked. I was beyond impressed by her work ethic. The breakfast quality and selections were excellent.
It was a very nice hotel with reasonable prices. the Front Desk staff were very helpful and I love the hot breakfast. It was the best breakfast I had in a while. Hot tub and pool were functional/operational.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 2 nights. They exceeded all my expectations and I used to work for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. They met all my special requests for bed type and extra pillows. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best I have ever seen, so many choices and good quality. Staff even offered to make me a special omlette. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.
This is the hotel to stay in while visiting Kemmerer. The best service, clean, friendly staff, and a great breakfast. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for families or people traveling to the area.
We came up for a few days just to fish and relax. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel and staff.Very clean and everyone was helpful and kind. Nothing much to do in the town unless you like Fossil digging.Which is great if that is your thing.Hotel should have a restaurant near by. It would make a killing. There just isn't many choices for eating.
Decent hotel, clean, the most comical thing was that there were multiple signs and boot scrubbers making it quite clear that they must have had issues in the past with mud monsters, they even had surgical shoe covers available. We assume it is for people who have gone fossil hunting; etc. nearby, which we did but did not have any mud on our shoes. But I'm sure when it rains there in the quarries that it is a true mud party!
I absolutely loved this hotel UNTIL...check-in was pleasant...room was very clean...bed super comfy...wifi was good....breakfast was above average with plenty of options and the pool was truly heated not like a lot of motels that say they are heated----- then at 7:15 a,m, I tried to take a shower and the water was cold. Complained to the front desk and we were told it was because of the amount of people staying there. To me that is not an excuse. Totally ruined my stay there
We were helping to relocate a family member to this area and stayed two nights. There are not a lot of lodging options in this area. We were extremely pleased with the Superb customer service from all members of the staff, especially breakfast staff. Breakfast had hot and cold items. Our room was comfortable and most importantly clean. Ok, if I could find fault with anything, the coffee was terrible.
The hotel was nice, clean, & everyone was friendly. The room was nice. It is easy to drive past the entrance to the hotel if you aren't paying attention. We would stay here again, if we are in the area.
All of the shotel staff were friendly and helpful. Great food and clean rooms. The only negative was, the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. Breakfast staff especially friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very nice. Very friendly staff. However I wasn't happy to get a pet room. Not that the room wasn't clean but definitely knew it was a pet friendly room. If you on a lower floor know you will hear the people above.
The young woman at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. Our check-in was fast and easy. When we got to our room, it was so nice and warm after coming in from the cold Wyoming winter evening. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Linens and towels were fresh smelling. I like my bed on the soft side and I was not disappointed, soft but not too soft. The entire staff at the hotel was the best I've come across in a long time.
Super helpful and friendly staff!! We slept sooo good and our room was sooo clean and had brand new flooring for our pet friendly features!! We wouldn't stay anywhere else EVER!! Breakfast was fresh and tasted amazing and we had so many choices!!
This is a great place to stop if you are in the area. I called ahead, the front desk was very friendly/helpful and accommodated my requests as far as room location, etc. Checking in was efficient. The room was extremely clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again. It's close to main roads but really quiet. I could not be more pleased. Thanks Best Western. I'm a happy customer.
Was very surprise at how nice this preoperty was. I did not expect it to be such a pretty place. The rooms were lovely and huge. The lobby was very nice and plenty of larking. Well lit area. Real fast was very nice with good choices. Nice laundry area. Easy to get off and on interstate. Close to Fossil Biutte. On the way from Utah to Yellowstone. Unexpected treasure
While undoubtedly the best option in the area, we weren't quite as impressed as other reviewers, finding the mattresses a little worn, and the sheets rather thin, threadbare, making it difficult to get a good nights sleep. The hotel is on the edge of town, so you'll have to drive to dinner. We did appreciate the friendly front desk staff.
A great stay at this hotel! The rooms were large and spacious with comfortable beds. Bobbie, who worked at the front desk, went out of her way to give us helpful advice and accommodate any additional requests. She even provided us boxes to bring home our fossils! The hotel's location was perfect! Breakfast was outstanding with individual breakfast requests provided to each guest. Highly recommended!!!
This is one of the top BW's I have stayed in. The check in/out was easy. Staff was great. Breakfast was outstanding! The room was very clean and quiet. Everything was great except for the coffee. The coffee was horrible. The staff agreed. The owner needs to fix the coffee issue.
I usually stay at this hotel on my way to Dubois, and was sorely disappointed I couldn't stay last year (the ranch I visit cancelled their 2020 season). I was very pleased to find nothing had changed -- the hotel is still spotless, the staff are all pleasant and knowledgeable, and the rooms are a great value for the price charged. Yes it might be more expensive than you'd expect but you get what you pay for. I got the room I wanted (king suite) and it was just as promised. The room was well supplied with amenities and was ready when I checked in. The lobby area is also spotless. The pool/hot tub was very clean as well. There's not much space to lounge at the pool (only a few chairs) but plenty of room to swim or soak. There's a guest laundry, two full size washers and two dryers. It tends to get busy later in the day (between families and outside workers using the machines) but i get up early to run a load. The breakfast is up to usual standards. Due to COVID the hot foot isn't kept out on the counters, but the attendant serves hot items as they're ordered. The cold items are served in a sanitary manner. Bread slices are individually wrapped; cold cereal is in dispensers; oatmeal is in individual packets. Other items (such as bagels and condiments) are available, served in containers with tongs or serving spoons. I highly recommend this hotel.
Really enjoyed my stay. It was comfortable, quiet and refreshing. The room was comfortable and clean. The clerk was very friendly and professional. Check-in was quick and easy and check-out was even faster. I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in the area.
Plan your travels to stay at this great Best Western. It is an excellent hotel - the best BEST WESTERN we have experienced. 10 STARS!!! Hotel is CLEAN, Sttaff is very customer focused, Management is engaged with staff and guests. Breakfast was outstanding - ordered and cooked individually. While you are planning - plan to visit during the Oyster Ridge Music Festival next July!! GREAT HOTEL stay!
Friendly & helpful staffs . The place is very clean and the room decor was great, the breakfast was awesome with variety of choices. My family had a great time staying at this location, the pool and fitness room are open for 24 hours!
Stayed at this hotel for two days during a trip out west. The hotel was well run and the staff were great. It was a typical Best Western, but located not too far from the highway. The room was comfortable and kept clean.
We arrived here from Boston on route from SLC. Long day of traveling but what a blessing to have this suite to rest in. 5 of us slept comfortably and enjoyed a wonderful hot breakfast. Great place to stay when visiting Fossil Butte and for our own fossil adventure at American Fossil which was about a 35 minute drive. I was glad we stayed here.
We had a great one nights stay at this modern very clean hotel while doing a morning dig at American Fossil Quarry 30 minutes away. Clean, modern room, great beds and good shower water pressure. No Covid issues. Great friendly staff; check in and check out were seamless. Breakfast was good. Hotel was easy to find from the road since there is nothing around it. It certainly lived up to all its excellent 5 star reviews on trip Advisor...thanks to its management and great staff that keep up its high standards.
I would definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The pool wasn't working so that was a let down but they were working on fixing it so hopefully it's up and running soon
Great place to stay. Awesome breakfast! They did an amazing job with having to deal with the COVID restrictions. Dog friendly is a plus lots of area to walk in. This is my 3rd trip staying there to dig fossils over 6 years it has always been a good stay.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. They never fail to impress. Everyone is friendly, polite and professionally. The hotel is Clean and Comfortable. I go out of my way to stay here as it is better than the other Best Westerns in the region.
This hotel is very nice and clean, nice beds very comfortable, breakfast was very good lots of choices not your standard continental breakfast, the pool was not working wish I would have been notified, but other than that we had a very nice stay.
This is a terrific hotel. Our room was perfect for our family, and we enjoyed the fitness room and a delicious hot breakfast. We come through about once a year on our travels from Oregon to Colorado and we always stay at the Best Western Plus Fossil Inn.
We loved our stay at this hotel. It was a nice cool oasis on a hot Summer day. The hotel was very clean as was our suite. The service, the suite and almost everything about our stay was wonderful. My only quibble is with the breakfast. When we went to the breakfast room, we had a choice of cold cereal, bananas, teeny- tiny muffins, yogurt, juice and prepackaged oatmeal packets. It would be great for kids I guess. I noticed a tortilla container with salsa, cheese and a sign saying "Build Your Breakfast Burrito" but nothing else. Just cheese and salsa is a burrito? We had some coffee and muffins and then left. As we were leaving my travel companion noticed some people at another table were eating a hot breakfast of what looked like eggs and bacon etc. We never saw that option or a menu or any chafing dishes. I was confused as to how they got their hot breakfast and figured it must only be offered to Best Western's elite members or something. There was no attendant/server to ask, so I don't know. We ended up driving somewhere else for breakfast as the limited selection of cold stuff was just not enough. Despite this however, I would heartily recommend this hotel and I'll probably stay there again in future.
My husband and I stayed at this locations on June 20, 2021. The hotel is such a beautiful place, clean, quiet and very friendly. But, the breakfast was outstanding!!!!! Tracey and Tonya were so sweet, kind and so ready to please. The service and breakfast we have had in any of our many trips. Would highly recommend this hotel. And if you do stay there, say hi to Tonya and Tracey and they will take such good care of you! Your the best Tonya and Tracey!
This hotel was clean, the hot breakfast tasty and the rooms spacious. The hotel is fairly new, and they are already doing some upgrades with new carpet. The pool was not working when we were there, so that was disappointing. The exercise room was well equipped.
Came out to stay for a fossil trip and was a great hotel. Clean, nice rooms, great breakfast. On par with Hampton or Holiday Inn Express and way above the other options in town. Only downer was the pool and hot tub were down for maintenance so kids (and dads back) were bummed.
My favorite thing about this Best Western is that the fridge had a freezer. We carry ice packs with us and it is so nice to have the freezer to re-freeze them at night. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean, no issues with the wi-fi and water pressure in the shower was up to par. Breakfast you had to order due to Covid. It was somewhat slow but nothing that we couldn't handle. Overall we really enjoyed this out of the way spot.
Always enjoy staying at this property. Always so clean and super employees. Always feel safe and never disappointed in our stay. This property is well kept up and extra clean. Looking forward to our stay end of July 2021.
Starting with the good - the hotel is nice and new, every employee we dealt with was nice, and the WiFi was fast and always worked. BUT - we were there in two rooms for four nights, plus my mom preemptively tipped a cleaning lady in the hall $20, and yet neither room got cleaned even once. The hot tub was unavailable throughout. And though the hot breakfast was pretty good, you had to order it (instead of it being there on a buffet), and that slowed things down considerably.
The rooms are spacious clean and quiet. The beds are the most comfortable we have experienced after 10 days on the road. We used the laundry room and were impressed at how clean it was. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to anyone's needs. Having the breakfast was a nice plus as well.
The property was very clean and we were pleased with our quality of sleep. The breakfast the was prepared by the staff due to COVID was way above average for a continental one. The breakfast staff were very good and readily answered questions about the area.
We stayed at the the Best Western in Kemmerer for six nights and were treated very well. The staff was accommodating to everyone and we appreciated the outstanding service from the morning cook (Stevie), the evening shift front desk guy and the daytime manager. They made every effort to provide a good experience. The entire facility is very clean and in great condition. The morning breakfast is delicious and serviced with a smile.
Excepting the obvious problems related to the pandemic (protective mask wearing, no seating in the dining area, no true breakfast buffet), this was a pleasant experience at a pleasant hotel. The wifi was easily accessed and the TV channel offering was huge, including premium packages.
Staff are friendly & helpful. Beautiful clean facility. Exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean. It was a little difficult to find the entrance but that isn't their fault. Close to eating places and medical acilities.
I stay at this hotel frequently for business. The front desk does a great job at recognizing me and acknowledges me by name. The Breakfast staff and food is great. They have everything from eggs, breakfast burritos, waffles, fruit and pastries. I have stayed at other hotels during covid and only get a bag with juice and a granola bar. The staff are friendly and kind and go out of their way to make sure I am taken care of in every way.
I stayed here for two nights with my family. The hotel was very clean and we felt very comfortable with all of the Covid 19 protocols. They still served breakfast but you just put in your order and could go back to your room. I was really pleased with this hotel.
Great Service. Great Breakfast (not your scaled down worthless pandemic related breakfast that most hotels are providing now days). They had their act together relative to pandemic controls but didn't sacrifice continuing to provide outstanding service and a quality full traditional breakfast for their guests.
This should be the property that all others should be modeled after! The staff here hands down are the best people in your company! We have stayed many nights at other properties, and have never been treated as kindly and friendly as with your staff! The lady serving breakfast, daily would make homemade cinnamon rolls that were unbelievable! She would take orders and serve breakfast plates for each guest keeping us all safe from Covid! Absolutely amazing job at this property! I wish we had a reason for another visit, and under different circumstances! We would definitely recommend this to everyone and stay here any time we'd be passing through!
Friendly staff, clean and well appointed room with lots of space to relax in. The breakfast was very nice and "covid" friendly individually wrapped items to go was a bonus. We will stay here everytime we are traveling thru the area.
Thia hotel is very clean and safe. The staff is super nice and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast , by far, had the best selection of food compared to any other hotel I have stayed.
The room and hotel were very clean. Pool was nice as well. Staff were friendly. With COVID, they are working through an effective breakfast that is safe. The breakfast staff really tried to help everyone they could. Kudos! Plenty of parking.
We seriously surprised at how wonderful this hotel was! A great room and the breakfast was not only a great variety but the attendants were the best ever. They individually wrapped items for safety purposes. It is nearby interesting fossil beds and museums also.
Was a great place to stay staff was excellent pool and hot tub was enjoyable the breakfast and service was one of the best experience I had at any hotel during this covert. The ladies serving you a hot breakfast went out of there way to satisfy everyone.
The room was very nice. The beds were comfortable. There was ice available. The show was hot. They made lemonade from lemons with the whole COVID mess. They had a staff server who put together a breakfast per your choice.
We went Fossil hunting in the area. Returning to the hotel after a long day and being received by a friendly and welcoming staff, made the day even better. Breakfast made to order and good selection of items. This hotel was recommended by a family member who previously stayed here and I strongly recommend that, if you are planning to come to Kemmerer, choose this location.
Our fishing guide recommended this location and hotel. It was very clean, comfortable, wonderful staff, even during Covid-19, the cooks each morning made a special fresh eggs breakfast for us to take to our room, as well as all the other prepared choices. Highly recommend, as there is no other in town that comes close.
BEST EXPERIENCE. Clean rooms, indoor pool, and caring staff!! Even during COVID when other hotels offer a granola bar, this staff provided a huge grab and go offering AND made to order hot breakfast to eat in your room. 30 degrees in June, dead car battery and they got me on the road!
A good BW plus in the area that hasn't many quality choices. The lobby, halls, facilities and rooms are neat and clean. The morning kitchen staff is overly welcoming and seek to bring a better service to your morning. This is a nice place to stay if in the area. Rating could be higher if the room had a better microwave and fridge. Typical for a BW.
This hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful! We stayed for business and will be staying there next time we are in town. Highly recommend! Even during COVID the breakfast was great and made with real eggs - the lady running breakfast was the sweetest!
There is a great cook there who was willing to cook whatever we asked and was great with my kids. She was a good worker and extremely kind. We will stay here again when we go through Wyoming. The pool and hot tub were in great working order, and very clean, as well.
Located near Kemmerer/Diamondville, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good nights' sleep, friendly staff, and near restaurants. I've been staying here for the last 10 years on frequent business trips and have always had a great experience. Small town charm and great ammenities! Stevie and Bill (breakfast attendants) made sure to minimize the risk of COVID19 exposure while I stayed there (4 nights). Desk staff (Bobbie and Jameson) were great as well!
Probably one of the best experiences at a hotel in over 40 years of business travel! The General Manager was incredible in providing an exceptional level of guess care and attending to any issue. She takes great pride in her work, her company and customer service
Front desk was effecient and friendly. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the decor was welcoming.THe access wto the hotel was a little tricky due to a very small sign at the service road entrance, especially at night. The clerk gave us an excellent suggestion of where to eat - the Caribou Restaurant.
We drove a long way to get here to stay at this hotel and it was worth it. There isn't a lot to choose from in the line of hotels in this part of the country but this place is good. Our room was clean and neat no negatives at all and the free breakfast was good as well. I had no complaints at all. Please be careful when driving into town after dark the deer and antelope can be very dangerous!!!
just fantastic.. clean courteous , great room and bed and one of the best breakfast areas I have ever seen.. We will never be in that town again but if I was you can bet I would stay there again.. the owners of this place should be proud..
Nice newer decor, especially for a small town in Wyoming. The room was quite large and was very clean. We thought this was a great little motel and it was a super value. We were also pleased that they had breakfast since there are no restaurants near.
The title says it all really. The hotel is pleasant, clean and we felt very welcome. The included breafast was quite good and the cookies out out in the lobby at 6:00 pm were an unexpected, but very welcome bonus! The nicest hotel in the fossil hunting area. The most extensive as well, but worth the extra for the comfort and good feel.
Nice and clean hotel, friendly staff, no headache check in. Downside is the lack of dining places in town. But good exercise to walk down to local places. Bed clean and comfortable. Breakfast is best hot and fresh in hotel I've eaten. Always look forward to staying again.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and knowledgable. The location was perfect for a stop between Idaho and central Oregon. Room rates were very affordable. TV channel selection was good
Stayed for one night. Housekeeping did a lousy job from the previous guest leaving a dental gum massager on the tv table and an old bar of soap in the shower. Bed was comfortable and breakfast had good options.
Great place to stay in Kemmerer/Diamondville area. Room was clean & quiet. Bed was comfortable. Room temp is adjustable to your liking. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. All staff were polite, professional and helpful with all our questions. They gave us detailed instructions on how to get to Warfield quarry. Thank you! Don't trust your GPS to find the quarry. Good breakfast in the morning with a variety of foods to start the day. Definitely recommend and will return when we're in the area again.
Everything about our stay in Kemmerer was great. From cleanliness of the premises to cleanliness of our room. We used the pool, just right. Breakfast was good. The attention to the food area was nice. The associates cared about their duties. Our room was clean and comfortable. We will again stay at this B W P. It would be great if everyone of B W P were like this one.
Room was Squeaky Clean! Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. An excellent value for the money! We always stay there when passing through the area. Well be passing through the area again next year and will stay there again.
A nice facility, relatively new, with attractive furnishings in our room. Nice and quiet, south end of town but not far from places to dine. Very clean, with usual amenities, comfortable chair and a desk. Liked the counter where the micro sits for coffee and drinks. Average size room.
The staff at the Hotel were all great. I appreciated the kitchen staff having breakfast ready and the dinning room open early at 5:45AM, everyone was very friendly, nice, clean rooms . Very good experince here - best place in the area to stay.
I really am not sure what to put here, it was a hotel and i do not sleep well in hotels. So now this is just wasting space and yes i like eating and drinking, hey you know of a good bar? Really still not enough!!
We stayed one night on our way to Mt Rushmore. Pros: clean, newer, comfortable bed, large rooms Cons: Couldn't think of any My one concern is that the fire alarm went off after we checked into our room. Of course we took the stairs down to the lobby and went outside. The manager was there with other guests and when asked about the situation, he didn't seem to care or know. Told us we'd find out when he did. As it turned out, it was an overheated dryer that caused the alarm to go off. In the event of an actual emergency, I'm not sure I felt safe with management's handling of the situation.
Your staff is one of the friendliest and most professional I work with. From Kara to Bobbie to Deneyl to Baylee and Jameson and the rest, they are always over the top professional and easy to work with. Will look forward to my next stay and will always recommend your hotel to others. Sincerely, Tom
We save up all year for our vacation, and Best Western is our "splurge" hotel since we must stick to a strict budget! This hotel was beautiful, sparkling clean, with the usual exceptionally friendly and efficient front desk staff, lovely maid service, and such a comfortable bed! The bathroom was spacious and the amenities were wonderful. And there was a delicious breakfast each day to boot! One suggestion: if you are approaching Kemmering from the south, the hotel is actually in Diamondville and the sign pointing to the long uphill driveway is very small and easily overlooked - PLEASE, BW, make your sign bigger and more obvious!!
I love staying at this hotel! The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, the breakfast is delicious and the staff are very nice and welcome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling their wayl
spent 3 nights there on short trip and not one minute of disappointment. Can't say enough good about this BW. Staff courteous, cooperative, large room, VERY clean. Breakfast is another whole experience - not many restaurants can compare with the menu and quality of food. Great experience!
The staff is always so pleasant and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect. The housekeepers and front desk staff work incredibly hard and it truly shows. We stay everytime we go to visit Kemmerer and it is a pleasant experience each time. The breakfast is always good and the pool and hot tub are great. The towels are always stocked and the area around the pool and fitness center and bathrooms is always very clean.
We stayed here for one night on a 3 week trip from Denver to Yellowstone and the Black Hills. This new BW has nice clean large rooms with a swimming pool and is recommended. Many dining options nearby and we found a great fossil shop in Kemmerer. Thank you.
Stayed one night here after a day of fishing. Plenty of parking spaces. The hotel was clean and efficiently run. The reception was quick and friendly. The room was nice, clean and had small fridge, & microwave. The Wifi was better than expected for the third floor. The only negative is the entrance is a ways east of the hotel and could be missed. Plus the main road was under construction with pilot cars guiding traffic.
We stay here 2-3 times per year when we go there to dig fish fossils. It's the best hotel in town and has only gotten better since last year. The new manager, Kara, has improved so many things. Great breakfast selection and now there are 2 people there to keep the dishes full. Every morning they ask each person if their breakfast was good or they need anything. Every staff member greets you warmly. Housekeeping is doing a much better job than previously. Overall, great hotel.
This is a great stop on a quiet highway... at least during the early season I was driving it! So clean and comfortable with good sheets and pillows and an excellent bath tub and a pool that doesn't smell !!! We only stayed one night but wished we'd had more time to enjoy the comfortable, and quiet, amenities of this particular best wester.
What a beautiful hotel! I arrived Thursday evening the 2nd of May and was so amazed at how beautiful the lodging was. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful in directing me to the best “souvenir shop.” He was very kind and knowledgeable in our conversation. The room was stunning, from the marble shower to the comfy king size bed. Everything was perfect - absolutely no complaints!
Recently stayed at this hotel Seemed nice when we arrived Desk clerk was friendly Even the younger gentleman working in maintenance even said hello when I greeted him When I came back from running a couple of errands I noticed this truck in the handicapped parking spot When I asked at the front desk they didn't seem to concerned Evidently the employees are allowed to park in the handicapped spots The desk clerk was rather rude and said it wasn't any of my business
I just stayed here three nights and was satisfied with my stay. Hotel is very clean, very quiet. Only complaint was that on the day I was leaving it had rained, snowed and frozen the parking lot into a sheet of ice. Very treacherous. Hotel did nothing during the night, sanding at a minimum would have been appreciated.
Centrally located in Diamondsville/Kemmerer, the staff is over the top professional and will make sure your stay is top notch! No matter what you may encounter, each member of the organization will do their best to ensure your needs are satisfied.
It was very comfortable and staff was very friendly pool was open 24 hours that was a plus to traveling with 4 kids! Breakfast was great had many options to choose from. Check out was fast and convenient as well as check in.
I can't believe this hotel is 10 years old. It looks brand new. Everything is so clean! Comfy beds! And their free breakfast includes REAL EGGS AND HAM! Not the powdered eggs! Really good place to stay. A little on the expensive side though considering its such a small town.
very good experience. Arrived late. Luckily they had a room both directions of our trip. Even had parking for us as we were pulling a big flat bed trailer. Excellent breakfast with a nice variety to choose from .
We visited this area of Wyoming on our way to Grand Tetons National Park. This hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was very good. The location is perfect for visiting Fossil Butte National Monument and Fossil Safari at Warfield Fossil Quarries. We would stay there again if we are in the area.
Beautiful new hotel, LOVE the decor, fantastic, polite & courteous staff. Delicious breakfast & an overall great facility. Would definitely stay here again - I wish I had a reason to stay longer! 5 Stars.
Big hotel on the outskirts of Kemmerer. Our room was right by reception but was quiet. The pool and hot tub were very welcome after a day hiking, but if you go outside to the area next to the pool and the door shuts, the key doesn't work so it's a trek round the car park and back through reception. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and it's handy for town. The pool and fitness centre are open 24 hours, and the Chevron gas station just down the road has a Subway attached, and there's a Pizza Hut a block away. Breakfast was good and was open for 3 hours, so no need to rush. Things were restocked very quickly when they were running low. Some nice looking cookies in reception – some contractors came and ate the lot so I missed out. All in all, a really comfy hotel for a good night sleep.
We spent one night here on a recent road trip. Staff was pleasant and helpful, room large, comfortably furnished, with a good bed, clean and quiet. Did not try breakfast. would stay again when in the area.
Just spent 6 nights there and this hotel, while still the best in the area, needs to address a few issues. The shower kept dripping despite tightening the handle. The maintenance man (John- always very friendly and polite) tried to fix it and it stopped dripping for a day. It needs a better fix. The picture on the TV in the room was very dim. The universal remote failed to work on the menu settings. The front desk gave me a different remote which didn't work because the TV was a different brand. Turns out they replaced all but 2 of their tv's and this was one of the old ones for which they didn't have a remote. If you can't fix it, it should be replaced. We didn't stay there to watch TV but I do like to see the news and check the weather before going to sleep at night. The couch in our room was so old, when you sat on it, you sunk into it. It needs to be replaced. We still love this hotel (note 4 out of 5 grade ) but it's showing signs of wear and needs some "tweaking". Special note of outstanding service from Kara at the front desk. She bends over backwards to be helpful and is awesome at her job. The day we left, 2 staff called in "sick" and she was running the breakfast area service. She deserves a raise!
We were fortunate to get a room as we had no reservation and it was too late to keep driving. Our room was nice and had 2 chairs. One of us had to use an extension cord to plug in a CPAP. We like outlets on both sides of the bed. Breakfast attendant was helpful and pleasant. We like the utensil dispenser since it is healthier than bunching them in a container where many touch them.
This is a newer hotel and everything was tip top. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and quite a bit of space. The morning staff person was very pleasant, and the hot breakfast was above average in selection and taste. There were free cookies too for hotel guests!
We are platinum BW members, and expect better from this hotel. First the good. Clean, Good water pressure, very good hot water, and excellent towels. Now the bad. We had a double queen room. Both the beds were HORRIBLE! Lumpy, and if there are two people, you roll towards the center. Neither of us got any sleep. Bottom sheet on bed closest to window had a blood stain. Staff was not friendly. Definitely not our usual BW experience.
Ground floor room, very clean and quiet (as always). Check in with reservation was quick and easy. The lady that checked me in was new to the job but you couldn't tell, great experience. Breakfast was hot and filling. Really appreciated the 'normal' prices at the in hotel snack shop!
This is top notch facility in kemmerer. This fairly new hotel with lot of amanities. The staff was very frindly and helpful. The FREE hot Breakfast was excellent. The pool and Hot tub were the best part of my stay. Highly recommend to everyone.
Very clean hotel. Friendly staff. I really like the complimentary breakfast-One day was scrambled eggs, sausage, french toast, boiled eggs, waffles, breads, pastries, fruits, and more.Hotel was quiet, nice bed.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The room could have used more outlets by bed to charge phone. Pool and hot tub were well kept and a great place to unwind at the end of the day. Breakfast had plenty of options and was well stocked.
It has been a spell since I've stayed at a Best Western - generally I'm loyal to the Hyatt Hotels - but this was a great little hotel. Hotel was quiet and very clean, staff were super friendly, and parking was easy. Room was very generous and clean with a comfy bed and I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through.
Due to health reasons I couldn't make my annual Wyoming trip last year. I always stay at this Best Western so I was hoping it hadn't changed -- and I wasn't disappointed. Hotel staff are superb at all levels, very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are spotless; my room (king bed suite) was ready when I arrived even though I arrived a bit before checkin time. The shower head is nice and high, and I don't have to wait forever for hot water. There's always coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the lobby, and in the evenings they put out cookies. The pool area and hot tub are great. There are only a few chairs but the pool itself and hot tub are large. Once again, this area is immaculate and the hotel does provide nice pool towels. There's a laundry room on the second floor, two washers and dryers; you might need to wait your turn but the machines work well. I brought my own soap; I don't know if the hotel sundry shop sells it but there's a convenience store nearby (and a grocery store in town) where you can purchase it. The free breakfast is magnificent. There are real scrambled eggs, not the pre-formed patties at some hotels; this morning we also had french toast & Canadian bacon. There's also a waffle machine, cereals, fruit, yogurt, bread/bagels, toast, juice, & coffee. I'd highly recommend this hotel. The rates might be higher than what some people except but it's definitely worth it.
The Best Western we stayed at was a great hotel. They have a 24 hour pool and hot tub that was great because we got to go to the hotel late. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast had lots of variety. It was a great hotel.
This BW Plus hotel looks like it is brand new despite being several years old. It has been immaculately maintained. The lobby is inviting with coffee and ice water available. The rooms are very large, with old-world style furniture and decor and comfy beds and pillows. Loved the pool and hot tub open 24x7 and breakfast was quite good. Staff was friendly and provided excellent recommendations for places to eat. Highly recommend this location and would stay again if ever back in Kemmerer.
Pleasant accommodations. Clean, nicely appointed. Quiet. Good hot breakfast included in the price: eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, pastry, etc.. Staff very helpful. Allowed us to use their conference room as a fossil-packing station.
This location in Kemmerer is a fairly new building but it still has some of the problems that have been annoying hotel guests for years. There is no vent fan in the bathroom. The room is too dark. There are not enough lamps and the ones that are there are too dim. The pillows are small half-size pillows and they are lumpy. There is no ice machine on the third floor. The most serious problem is a fundamental architectural mistake. There is an open vent between adjacent bathrooms. It is like having a window between the bathrooms, you can hear everything in the bathroom next door, and I am sure the reverse is true.
This is a very nice hotel in a good area near restaurants. The room was quite decent with comfortable beds, attractive décor, and the breakfast was more than satisfactory. If traveling, I would stay here again.
I have stayed at this hotel several times, and the one thing that is always consistent is the great staff they have. The front desk person was super friendly and helpful in getting me set up with everything that I required. She greeted me by name each and every time I web by the front desk. The rooms were spatious. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going thru kemerer.
We had a very late departure from Rawlins and Kemmerer was about where I needed to call it a day. The desk person was very helpful and courteous. Our room was large and clean. Breakfast in the morning was good with a fairly large selection of foods available. (Not my favorite coffee, though.) Easy access to the highway and about a mile from Diamondville and the town of Kemmerer where there's an okay selection of places to eat.
We stayed here with our nephew and his family in conjunction with a visit to the nearby American Fossil dig and Fossil Butte National Monument. Their children ranged in age from 5-12, so the indoor pool was a hit. The staff kindly changed our room so that we had the room next to our nephew's. The hotel apparently has a mascot! A pronghorn antelope grazed the bank outside the indoor swimming pool and rested several times over our 2 day stay in a hollow right by the side road up to the hotel. Full breakfast was great.
We, a party of 3 adults, stayed there from 6/6 to 6/13/2018. Customer service was great. The free breakfast was decent with real (not powdered) eggs, bacon and sausage, waffles, cereals, breads, danish, all kinds of beverages and breads. If your there to hunt fossils, this is probably the best place to stay. The management does everything it can to serve and accommodate the guests. The only things that went wrong was a city-wide power outage in the middle of our 3rd night which rendered me sleepless, because I use a respirator, and the fact that the doorway sill at the entrance was so high, I had to get up out of my wheelchair to step over it daily. No real point in having a handicap door opener if you can't get over the sill in the doorway. Moral of the story is 1) bring an extra power pack for your respirator, if you use one and 2) be prepared to have help getting over that step out front if you are handicapped. Otherwise our stay was delightful in a 2 Queen suite for the week.
We have stayed here a couple of times. It is the best place to stay in Kemmerer. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. My grand kids loved the free cookies. We will be back in the fall for another weekend getaway!
Pricey but the only decent place to stay for miles. Still, it was absolutely disappointing that there was no hot water at 7:30 am. The front desk told me that it appears lots of people took a shower this morning and it will take awhile for the hot water to recover. Really? Who designed a hotel that doesn't have enough hot water for guests to shower in the morning? Then, the manager emailed me to say they did have a fault in their hot water system. No refund possible since I booked through a third party vendor, but she said I'll get some extra reward points.
This hotel is a great place. The rooms are clean, nicely appointed, and quiet. The hotel is fairly new and they take great care of it. Has a great location with easy access to the highway and town. Highly recommend.
We pulled in just when it began to snow. The lobby was charming ,fireplace sofas. The front desk was friendly and efficient. The rooms were very nice. Very nice furniture and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was well done. Good fitness room. Would definitely stay again.
Mostly good service. little confusion with house keeping in understanding when we were not checked out. our stuff was not out of room and house keeping called us at 9:30 asking if we were checked out when check out isn't till 11:00? a little respect of privacy till check out time would of been nice.
I am now a Best Western fan. After this stay, we booked the next night in the next town at another Best Western and had a similar great experience. Better breakfasts than most (real eggs and sausage and more!). Granite shower. Big and plentiful pillows and grown up towels.
Good place to stay while visiting Fossil Butte National Monument. Conveniently located to gas, shopping and the town of Kemmerer. Employees make you feel welcome and appreciated. Also have a good breakfast.
Great hotel, thought about booking a 50 buck room but was well worth the other 64 bucks, as the hotel breakfast was better than most hotels of this class, and the bed was so super soft and comfortable. Room was large and the tub was big, shower was hot. Nice work area. Only down fall I found was the fridge in the room made a loud humming noise, so I just unplugged it and it went away. Coffee in the room was great and quick. Highly recommend paying the extra few bucks for this hotel.
We have stayed here before to fossil hunt. The hotel is very well maintained. Breakfast is excellent. Location is great...but there are not many choices for staying in this area. Prices are higher but the comfort is worth it
Great location off the interstate . Wonderful place , super clean and great staff. Fantastic breakfast . Easy to find and just a short drive to American Fossil. The fossil museum is really close. Pretty good Mexican Resturant short drive away .
I like staying at this hotel when I travel to Kemmerer. It is clean, quiet and the staff are friendly and cheerful. the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and the rooms don't have that smell that a lot of hotels have. It is nice to step out on the hillside in the evening and see the deer or feel the brisk wind. The heaters and air work perfectly.
Perfect location for fossil hunting. Had a great breakfast offering make your own breakfast taco and oatmeal, bacon, eggs, potatoes, fruit, granola, yogurt, toast, waffles, hard boiled eggs, and more. Very helpful staff as well.
Spacious rooms. Tile floor to handle the Wyoming mud. Welcoming staff. Good breakfast. Pet friendly. A real plus of a hotel for Kemmerer, Wyoming. Have stayed here every time since we found it years ago. Well kept. Will be back and book again.
Great hotel.....wonderful location...within 10 minutes to Fossil Buttes National Monument and short drive to Fossil Fish collecting sites. Rooms are well appointed....internet access....great breakfast & a friendly staff. Easy access to major highways
We stayed here on 9/5/17 and thought it was one of the best BW's we've stayed at. The hotel appear newly renovated, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was better than most BW's. There are limited hotel options in Kemmerer and this is a good one. We would stay here again.
Perfectly situated and best place to start a family adventure! Kemmerer is a hidden gem when it comes to having an adventure you never thought likely to happen. After a day of looking for fossils, this hotel is a great place to come back to and get refreshed to start again, and with The complimentary breakfast, it's the perfect place to begin the day!
Great value for working out of town. The place is clean and quiet. Bed is actually comfortable. Staff are friendly and propt. The only issue we had was accessing the Internet. We had to enter the information in 4 or 5 times before it allowed access. Overall nice place to stay.
This is a fairly new property and was very good for the price. The breakfast was what you would expect. The rooms were fine and service excellent. The major problem was Kemmerer is very remote and there is not much in the way of restaurants. We were there only for Fossil Butte NM.
Everything was wonderful and we are extremely happy with the hotel and staff, however, the Wi-Fi/internet service was a disappointment as it would not stay connected making the use of our computer impractical for most of the stay (which we used to plot out our daily activities and use as an alternative to TV while on travel). Lesser hotels have had better connections on this Wyoming trip.
Nice, fairly new hotel. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Good location to town and interstate as it is within sight once you pull off. Only problem I had was slow internet. All else was good.
Hands down the best experience we had in a three week excursion across country. The check in was seamless the room was spotless and very inviting. The ladies who attended to the hot breakfast were not only accommodating to special requests but pleasant. The pool was very well maintained as was the guest laundry. Overall I can't say enough good about our stay.
The rooms were large and it truly felt like a Best Western Plus property. The free breakfast was hearty and the dining area was well kept and clean. The only drawback was poor Wi-Fi. And a minor nit with the guest laundry. One of the dryers wasn't working. It would accept your coins, but not actually turn on. When notifying the front desk, they seemed aware as they said it has happened before. I offered to put an out of order sign up so they printed one up. Not a lot of dining options (for lunch and dinner) as it seems located closer to Diamondville -- mostly fast food stops.
Nice clean place to stay. On our way to Yellowstone. Also the home of the first J.C. Penney Store and his home. Easy to get to from highway. The hot breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs, dry cereal, rolls.
Stayed there for several days with family this past week. Stay there a few times each year, and always have a great experience. Nice rooms, good breakfast, nice pool, nice meeting facilities, and great staff.
This was a last-minute stay while passing through the area - hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helped me find a room at a time when nearly everything was booked, and provided great driving directions. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was basic, but well-prepared and presented. I would definitely stay here again!
This is a great Best Western, and a great base for exploring the fossil country nearby. Everything is spotlessly clean and well managed. I recommend it highly. The beds are very comfortable, the indoor pool is clean and inviting and the breakfast is also well done.
We came here to go fossil hunting. We were a family of five, and the room was very spacious. The hotel met all our needs for the night we were staying there. It has a pool too, which the kids really appreciated after the drive there.
This area of Wyoming is quite remote, so the Best Western Plus in Kemmerer is quite a surprise. Everything in our experience at this motel was pleasant. We were there 5 nights and found the motel to be a good end of the day after being in rivers all day.
Simply put, this is one of the best in Wyoming. From the antelope roaming the entrance to the property to the incredible views from my room, the location is spectacular. The property is spotless and the rooms crisp and clean. The shower is to die for. All in all, this is an incredible find at the end of a long travel day.
Always enjoy staying at this hotel during our summer trip to Kemmerer to celebrate the Oyster Ridge Music Festival and spend time with family that also come to Kemmerer. Rooms are always clean and service is super.
The staff is friendly, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was clean and neat, top to bottom, the breakfast was decent---not much more I would want in a place to stay the night. Besides, the sunset from our window was spectacular!
We found this to be a very nice motel. The room was clean and well maintained. We had a little problem with the smoke detector but it was taken care of immediately by a very helpful staff. I would recommend this to anyone who is questioning where to stay in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
Good service, very nice room and fine breakfast. I have many pleasant memories of Kemmerer and will stay there again at an undetermined date. The additional touch of having a puppy tray in the room was really nice.
We have been coming up to Kemmerer to hunt fossil fish in the local quarries for several years and this hotel is the best. Clean and quiet with a free breakfast in the morning. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. You can wake up in the mornings and usually see Pronghorn sheep grazing across the street! Excellent hotel all the way around!
While traveling from Salt Lake City to the Tetons and beyond, we took a detour to Kemmerer at my 10-year old's request to visit Fossil Butte National Monument for the day, so we planned this stop in Kemmerer ahead of time. We are BW rewards members, and this location didn't disappoint. Conveniently located in Kemmerer/Diamondville area, which are the closest larger towns to Fossil Butte. Very friendly staff, large and clean rooms, great pool area for the kids at the end of the day, and breakfast was great for a hotel. The morning breakfast staff worked very hard to keep everything stocked and clean. The hotel itself looks brand new, but other reviews said its 8 years old, I wouldn't have known it. All in all, a great stay if you're in the area.
This is a very well kept property. The hotel is 8 years old but you would not know it. Everything worked well and staff was very friendly and helpful. Good value for the money. Breakfast items were good.
This is a very new, nice, clean, comfortable hotel. We stayed on the 4th of July and watched an amazing fireworks display right from the hotel. Desk clerk was very accommodating. We would stay here again in the future! Not a lot of eating options in this small town, but found a great burger, fries, and ice cream shop right down the street from hotel.
We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel in the middle of nowhere. It is clean, up to day, has a nice breakfast and a nice pool. This is the perfect location to visit Fossil Butte NM and to dig fish fossils. This is the best hotel in Kemmerer. Loved it.
I have stayed here for 4 years running with my brother and grandsons while we fish fossil dig. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the place is really nice. I also love their breakfast! I highly recommend it!
Absolutely friendly, local, small town hospitality. Very nice hotel for any city, but 10X better given the location in rural Wyoming. Will be looking forward to my next stay at a Best Western. I travel for work over 60% of the time and have always stayed in the Marriott chains, but I will now seek out Best Westerns and give more of them an opportunity due to this hotel. Thank you and I will see you again very soon.
Next year when we head out west, we will definitely make this Best Western our first stop. The comfort and enjoyable made the start of a two weeks vacation most enjoyable. Great service...warm, friendly people.
We stayed two night in Kemmerer at the best western. Very nice hotel right off highway. Staff is very pleasant, nice breakfast and the pet room we had was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Going to daughters wedding The location was beautiful We'd like to live here Hotel was in excellent condition and the service was first class Breakfast was as good as it gets So we decided to join the loyalty club Also the cost of the room ( we had one equipped with shower for handicapped, an upgrade for free) was very fair. BW experience in God's country
A very clean room and property, hot tub, indoor pool, exercise room, breakfast, wi-fi, comfortable beds, and amazingly soft towels. It is a little bit of a drive to Kemmerer for restaurants but very close to the highway.
This property appears to be new. Very clean, quiet and presentable. We were moving across the country and were very happy they had a room available as we didn't make a reservation. The staff were helpful. Easily accessible from the freeway. Nice indoor pool and fitness area. The breakfast was a bit slim in the way of choices but the presentation was nice and very clean area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
We stayed one night here with our 7 yr old granddaughter. Everyone was so helpful and nice. The pool area was very nice and enjoyed by our little girl. Breakfast was fantastic. What put this place over the top for me was the fact that we inadvertently left behind an important item and when I called to ask if it had been found I was told yest it had been found by the housekeeper and was at the front desk!! A quick turn around on our trip to pick it up was all it took! thanks to the great staff!
This hotel appeared new, clean and provided many amenities. The front desk staff went above and beyond both in the evening when we checked in and in the morning prior to our departure. The evening desk clerk was outgoing and a joy to speak with. She provided us with several options for dinner and her recommendation for amazing Mexican food was right on target. The desk clerk in the morning assisted us with directions and provided phone numbers to make direct contact with the 3 Best Western properties at the entrances of Yellowstone to assist us in securing a hotel for Memorial Day weekend when we were unable to find lodging. Both employees truly went above and beyond!
We were extremely satisfied with our stay. warmly greeted at check-in and received both an upgrade and pack as Reward Diamond BW members. we had a simple "take-away" at the Artic Circle about half a mile away which we can recommend
Its a nice Hotel but they only provide FOX Cable NEWS They had CNN but removed it stating the People in town watch FOX, But travelers are from all over. So.. they do not provide alternative, So I left
The reception desk has awesome staff, very friendly. She also gave us a map and a description of the local restaurants, which was spot on. Our room was spotless and the beds were extremely comfy. Will definitely return!!
Helpful staff, always greeted us with a smile and assistance whenever needed. The rooms and the entire property are very clean. You can tell these folks really take pride in what they do. Well worth every penny!!
Newer hotel, nice clean and the breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel that included breakfast. Large variety and had items my husband who is gluten intolerant could enjoy. I was impressed with the cleanliness for a small town hotel.
This is by far the best place to stay in Southwest WY. It is also at the gateway to Yellowstone, Jackson and the Tetons.. You can stay here for 1/3 the price of Jackson and get better quality and better service. The breakfast bar has a wide variety of food items and always well prepared.
This BW is on the outskirts of Kemmerer, right off Rt 30. It is a modern hotel with good parking and an elevator. It offers no step access to the lobby and rooms for people with mobility impairments. We saw but did not use the pool and exercise room. The desk staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast was substantial by motel standards, with scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage and hash browns, as well as waffles and cereals and muffins. We were here two nights and recommend this hotel as your best option for spending a night in Kemmerer.
Hotel looks recently built. Everything looks new. By far this is the best option in Kemmerer. Best surprise was that the bus to Salt Lake City is at a gas station very close to hotel. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Happy with the room and the service. Clean. Comfortable. Centrally located. The breakfast was good... very well stocked and the room was clean and neat. Parking is easy and close to the doors. Have stayed here before and will next trip, too.
I stayed here for 3 weeks for work and all 3 times I checked into a different room and it was always spotless. But even more impressive was the hospitable staff. From houskeeping to front desk staff was excellent. They were always kind, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond a few times for me on a few things.
This Best Western Inn, even though located in little remote Kemmerer, Wyoming is absolutely the "Best" of the Best Western Hotels in the 4 state Western region I travel. If you happen to need a great Inn to stay in a quiet, quaint locale, this is YOUR Inn.
We passed through Kemmerer and stopped to avoid snow and weather. The Best Western is fantastic! Thank you. The best big box hotel we've stayed at during a several month long road trip out west. Every member of staff takes pride in the product and service, which makes all the difference. Clean and spacious, with small tokens that elevate it above the usual competition (Hampton Inn etc), - cookies and hot coffee in the evening, fresher and more generous than usual breakfast, decent sized rooms, good showers and plenty of fresh towels. Great hotel if in the area. Jailhouse Java in the town centre is worth a stop for coffee.
Great motel. New, dog friendly and decent breakfast. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable beds. Tiled floors with throw rugs is great with the dogs and they gave me some towels to wipe up the floor since there was a lot of snow.
This is a new motel in a small Wyoming town. Comfortable, clean and great staff. Great hot breakfast. Very convenient place to stay with a dog. The town itself is spread out and difficult to find a resturant on a Sunday other than fast-food.
Very satisfied with hotel in general other than the poor lighting in bathroom and room. Husband commented on poor lighting when shaving and I commented about poor lighting when applying makeup. We did not enjoy the DIM room yet had three lamps and a light overhead at the door. Perhaps we are the minority of wanting better lighting but that aspect of the room was very disappointing to us.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was very good, fresh backed cookies every evening, bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. Even though hotel was on the highway it was very quiet.
Needed an overnight so checked out all the hotels/motels in town this looked the best and it was although more expensive a than the others. Very nice clean quiet rooms with all the mod cons, tea/ coffee in room fridge and microwave. Breakfast was a very big surprise as tit was much better than we expected. Eggs, bacon, cereals etc. Would stay here again if passing this way.
Beautiful facility with spacious rooms, tastefully furnished. We loved the comfy beds with super soft linens, thick bath towels and a gorgeous view of the sunrise. The corridors and the room had a very nice, fresh smell at all times. The continental breakfast was far better than any of the previous hotels on our trip....fresh eggs, bacon, pastries, yogurt, cereal, juice...all in a sparkling clean dining area. This hotel delivers top notch comfort and amenities...wish we could have stayed there longer!
The folks at check-in were very nice. There was "orange water" and a coffee pot in the lobby. We had a nice-sized room, with a refrigerator and microwave. The sink was in the bathroom, but there was still plenty of room. The shower was very good, and the towels were great, fluffy and thick. There were 3 lights in the room, but they projected very little light. The room was dark, even with all 3 lights on. Breakfast was from 6-9, and it was wonderful. Just about everything you'd expect to see at a hotel breakfast, plus sausage, eggs, and potatoes. The best part of our stay occurred just outside the hotel. We returned to the hotel late in the afternoon from a visit to Fossil Butte Natl. Monument. Well, on the hill just opposite the hotel there must have been at least 20 pronghorn antelope, just grazing, clearly in view from the hotel's parking lot. What a great sight to see!
Since we were hitting some Canadian and American National Parks in peak season, we ended up staying at the towns located outside the parks, and even then, some of the prices were bordering on the ridiculous ! So coming into Kemmerer and noting the difference in price and reviews between the motels and the Best Western, we chose the Best Western Fossil Inn (and Best Western was running a great promotion – stay two times and get a $50 gift card – so the price difference was not so big). The motels/lodges where we'd been staying were fine – clean, some older, some updated, comfortable beds, etc. But there is always something nice about having consistency and that's what Best Western delivers. The Fossil Inn was nicely decorated in the lobby with several fine examples of local fossils. Fresh coffee is available all day, with fresh cookies in the evening. The room was large, with two queen beds, so it would be comfortable for a family travelling. Bed linens and towels were of good quality. As is common in Best Westerns – microwave, minifridge, coffee machine. There was also enough room for a comfy chair and desk/chair. Breakfast was the standard eggs scrambled/hard boiled; sausage patties; pastries; waffles/French toast; fruits;yogurts; cereals/oatmeal and all of the condiments and beverages. It's located outside of the main area of Kemmerer, but it's only a few minutes drive away.
This hotel is very nice and very clean. Really have no complaints except for the price. This hotel is in the exact price range I pay when I stay at large cities, such as Salt Lake, Denver, Chicago, etc..
I am NOT a fan of the Best Western chain, as they are extremely inconsistent and I have rarely been happy in my stays. This being said, I thought it well worth saying that this particular location clearly is a great hotel. It's rather in the middle of no where in Wyoming and many of the folks who come here are in the area to fossil hunt in the nearby establishments where you can chip away your own fossils at a reasonable rate. So, because of this, I only had a very small number of hotels to choose from and picked this Best Western. I was shocked. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room immaculate and a great value. Plus the free breakfast was a bit better than the ones I usually get (the eggs were good--not some powdered crap). The bottom line is that although they have little in the way of competition, this hotel tries very, very hard...and I appreciate that!
We stayed here three years ago and loved the location, décor, comfort, and friendly staff. We recommend this Best Western to our friends who are traveling in this area. So of course, we were happy to stay here again on our trip back from Yellowstone.
What a wonderful motel! Just driving thru, baby was tired and we needed to stop for the night. Right off the freeway, wonderful people, beautiful room, well kept, relaxing, quiet. Breakfast was not fancy, but very good. Great place to stay. Surprised us.
This is a very nice, new (or almost new) property seemingly out in the middle of nowhere. Easy access from main roads, very pleasant and comfortable room, friendly staff, plenty of parking -- couldn't have been more pleased!
There for my sons wedding. Best hotel in the area. Though need a bigger breakfast area. Seemed like breakfast was crowed and no where to sit every morning. Nice hotel. We thought everything was really nice
Breakfast was really good. Fresh eggs made a huge difference. Rooms were big and clean. Hotel is pet friendly but I did not notice any smell. My wife booked the room for the wrong day. We showed up a day prior to our reservation and the young man at the counter was very helpful in getting us set up for the night. Ate dinner at a local restaurant called Bootlegger. A very good choice.
We went from a high end condo in downtown Park City to the Best Western in Kemmerer but we were comfortable and happy. Our stay was to fly fish the nearby Green River. We opted for the "suite" that was about $20 more per night. But it was worth it for the nice sitting area and good size cube refrigerator. Nice staff. Good room service. Very clean. Spotless, good draining shower. Very comfortable beds. An excellent motel. 5 stars for what really is closer to a 3 star hotel than 2.5 star level motel. It was nicer than most Courtyards or Holiday Inn Express. Excellent free breakfast each morning with a waffle machine and really good coffee. Free gourmet cookies each evening though the several dozen cookies would disappear within an hour. Kemmerer is a sleepy oil and gas town on the Wyoming plains. Hauntingly beautiful with a tiny downtown of a few diner style restaurants. There are also 2 old school bars that likely haven't changed much in 60 years. The fishing was terrible. Just terrible. So there's no need for Kemmerer to go yuppy like Livingston, MT. It's perfect as is. It's nice to see pronghorn in town.
We had planned a visit to Fossil Butte but had been concerned about where to stay in the area. If that is your situation, let us help with your decision. We recommend the Best Western in Kemmerer. It was new, clean with an accommodating and friendly staff -- good breakfast too. We had been on the road for over a week with exciting but long days. We were a bit tired and liked the hotel so much that we decided to stay over. Good decision for us. A pleasant and relaxing stay sent us happily on our way.
I could go on at length about this quiet, clean hotel, but the item that really stands out and sums it up for me is: actual scrambled eggs at breakfast, not poured from a carton, but real eggs. I even found a tiny bit of shell one morning, which initially surprised me, but it was not a problem for the excellent flavor. I'd return in a heartbeat.
We stayed in the Best Western in Kemmerer as a lead in for a fossil dig in the area. The hotel was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the pool was thoroughly enjoyed by our kids. The fitness room was good and had bottle water available. There were plenty of places nearby to offer food choices. Laundry room was also an added bonus. In the evenings, the hotel staff had placed cookies in the lobby and the kids appreciated them.
This hotel has friendly staff and clean rooms. It is nothing super fancy, but definitely nice, comfortable and convenient. The breakfast was great for a free hotel breakfast, with eggs, meat, waffles, etc.
Great staff, very friendly, and made sure your visit was a pleasant one. Very clean, up to date with everything. Wireless internet worked great, super comfy bed, clean bathrooms. Mini Fridge and microwave was great since I was traveling with my kids. Typical pool and hot tub, this needed some cleaning, and the chlorine would knock you out just by being in the pool facility. Typical free breakfast, nothing special there. I would recommend this hotel for anyone, you will be pleased.
Hey there, we were driving back across country and needed a place to stay. My wife hadn't ever stayed at a BW, I had all over the country and said, yeah but they are taking it up a notch from the 'old BW you know and hate'. She begrudgingly agreed. The place was in the middle of nowhere but near a big refinery/mill so the lot had loads of pickups. Outside were boot cleaners to scrub off the mud, in the room there were trays to sit your dirty boots as well. (100% hitting your target demographic here!) I had flip-flops so no real use but for their regulars, this is not only good business, but will keep their carpets/rooms cleaner! Room was immaculate and like BRAND-NEW! I looked and looked and really, it was all very solid. If I was to ding them on something it would be the black-out blinds. They had some wear so weren't 100% blackout but honestly, I was up and out just after sunrise so no biggie. The breakfast was abundant with loads of FRUIT! Yes, like real fruit! Then the usual, waffles, and such. The coffee was actually good for once at a hotel breakfast and they hooked us up with extra creamer/ice to fill our big cups for the next leg. The manager was actually outside sweeping up and wished me well as I departed. Yes, a manager wasn't just there, he was actually working, doing manual labor. Love it. I happened to pass the Laundry and a lady was in folding sheets smiling to herself and humming, I told her thanks for the perfectly washed/folded sheets, keep it up and she beamed and said, WHY THANK YOU! Glad you noticed and told me! I can't say enough about this whole place, well managed for sure and it shows in the excellent service/staff.
Excellent..head and shoulders above everything in area and very reasonable. If I ever go back to Kemmerer I will absolutely stay there. Breakfast was wonderful. Enjoyed the outside picnic area..even had a grill
Coming from Yellowstone National Park, we were pretty tired when we checked in. Check-in was a breeze, our room was great, large, clean and comfortable. The front desk found me an extra luggage rack and extra pillows. They traded in my decaf coffee packets for more caffeinated. The room was quiet, and very comfortable and on the first floor as I had requested. Our breakfast was great with both hot and cold items including scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, hot and cold cereals and sweet rolls. Very nice accommodations except the hi speed internet did fall off around 6pm probably when they were full and the pipe was overloaded but was on first thing in the morning. We just watched TV after 6pm and did report the problem. We would certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again!
Several members of our family stayed in this hotel recently for a family reunion. The hotel was very well run, modern and customer oriented. Cookies were available in the evening in the lobby and a delicious, varied breakfast in the morning. The staff, from the front desk to maintenance people in the hall were friendly and helpful, and accommodating for our needs for the reunion. We would definitely stay here again.
Booked based on reviews on Trip Advisor - new property and very well run. Check in was a breeze and fresh fruit infused water a welcome treat! Quiet location. The breakfast offering the next AM was a pleasant surprise - varied offering with lots of options. Well worth the stop.
This hotel has the best beds and a great staff out of all the hotels we stay. The rooms are also very quiet. I would not consider staying anywhere else. I sometimes want to drive the hour drive just to stay here.
Booked this hotel specifically for the pool and hot tub and paid the extra money instead of staying down the street at the Super 8. Clerk said the pool and hot tub wear working but after unpacking found the hot tub was luke warm. Clerk tried to fix but no luck. He did offer a 15% discount for the cold tub. Otherwise, the breakfast and room were good.
Friendly staff- clean hotel- good breakfast. Best place to stay in Kemmerer, WY. Have used workout room before, it will satisfy any exercise needs you may have. Have not used pool or hot tub but hotel is very clean. Wouldn't hesitate to use if had the time & energy.
Excellent staff, accommodations, fresh cookies in the afternoon, great breakfast variety. Have stayed here before and have always been pleased. Staff was able to give us a room even though we arrived early. Helpful in finding a place to eat - even though town has few choices.
It's a Best Western in the middle of nowhere, but a welcome spot after a day of adventuring. The pool is open 24 hours and the breakfast has a lot of variety and was well stocked. The bed was comfy and the room clean. It's near the Fossil Quarries and the Fossil Butte National Monument.
I usually stay at the Best Western Plus Fossil Country Inn & Suites at least once a year and sometimes more and it is alway a great experience. The breakfast crew always makes you feel like family and put on a great spread. The front desk people are always helpful and make checking in and out easy. The rooms are quiet, clean and very comfortable. The maid service is outstanding.
We completely enjoyed our stay. The place looks brand new. Large clean rooms, huge breakfast area, indoor pool and spa. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and assortment of pastries plus more. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We stayed in 3 Best westerns this trip and this one was by far the best of the three.
This was a very clean hotel with comfortable beds. The breakfast included was good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The young man at the reception desk was very helpful in giving us details about things to see in the city and area and also gave us a very good tip of where to have dinner. I would stay here again!
We recently spent two nights at this lovely Best Western, and had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is very pretty and well maintained. It sits on a hill and although it was quite windy, it was peaceful with pretty scenery all around. The location is convenient to everything in the Kemmerer area. Our room was beautifully decorated with two queen beds, a very comfortable chair with ottoman, desk, microwave and refrigerator. The room was quite large, very clean and the beds were comfortable. We travel with our small dog so we were in a pet friendly room on the 1st floor next to the back entrance which worked out great. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly. The cookies in the evening were a nice treat. The breakfast was great, with a large variety including eggs, meat, waffles, cereal, fruit and cinnamon rolls. The room was large with plenty of room to sit and the attendant kept everything well stocked. The Best Western in Kemmerer is a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Stayed two nights with my son. The hotel is new and very nice. We found it to be quiet, very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers a great selection of breakfast items and they were frequently replenished. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a small assortment of snacks and misc items for sale. I found this very handy when I used the I used laundry facilities as they sold detergent on site. Very handy. Highly recommend this hotel.
Great modern hotel, nice big room. Great breakfast and cookies & ice water in the lobby at lunch. After a long day of traveling, it was wonderful to have the nice clean pool for the kids to cool off in. The hotel was handy to local restaurants. We were extremely happy with the service and everything about this hotel while visiting Fossil Butte.
This property is not labelled right, this was a Premier property. Beautiful inside and out. It sits overlooking the city of Diamondville, a city that was warm and welcoming. The front desk staff are great, David gave us the best recommendations for food & directions. The room was LARGE and beautiful, and spacious. The ceilings throughout must be 10 ft high, the lobby is so welcoming. One of the best we have had the pleasure to stay at!
Enjoyed the variety of breakfast and that they did not start cleaning up early. Staff waited quietly as we finished the meal, so we did not feel rushed as we have at other motels. The check-in staff was very pleasant and helpful.
We were travelling up to Yellowstone from Bryce canyon and needed a stop on the way . I booked this hotel in January this year and it was excellent value compared to hotels / Motels in Jackson further north. We were greeted by very welcoming chap at reception and were more than pleased with our room, The room facilities included fridge microwave and coffee maker. room was spotless and beds were very good. Free breakfast was included.
This is an excellent Best Western hotel and the nicest property in Kemmerer. The rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast. The staff members are welcoming and well-informed. The check in and check out processes are smooth.
We stayed here each year for the past few years when we've gone to Kemmerer to dig for fossil fish. The hotel is one f the best Best Western's we've ever stayed in. We stayed there for 8 nights and got the room with 2 queens and a sitting area (a suite). The suite costs an extra $20/night but in our opinion is totally worth it. The room is spacious and clean. It provides free breakfast each day with many options. My personal favorite is making waffles. We actually bought a waffle maker for our home after staying here a couple of years ago. Great staff.
This is the third time staying here with my brother and grandkids before or after digging for fossils. The staff from the front desk to the people who lay out the breakfast have always been very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nice and the kids love to swim in the pool. I will recommend this hotel to everyone.
I've stopped here before and I'll continue to stop in the future. The hotel is clean, up to date, comfortable and noiseless. The bed is big and comfortable. All rooms have the amenities I want; frig, microwave, iron, hair dryer, etc. The staff is friendly and work to get you the best deal.
My wife and I stayed 7 nights here while doing fossil hunting nearby and were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean, spacious and had a comfortable bed. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The breakfast was good every morning, and the staff were always pleasant. The pool is open 24hrs a day which was nice also. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that will be staying in the Kemmerer/Diamondville area
I was pleasantly surprised at this property. I didn't know anything about this area. I was here for business and book the hotel on line. The staff is excellent. The room was very comfortable; and the breakfast was very good. The town is small, so there are several little restaurants close. If you are staying in Kemmerer or Diamondville, stay at this hotel. You won't be disappointed.
New hotel, a bit out of the center of town, but clean, fresh and fairly priced. Large rooms, fairly priced, and helpful staff. Too far to walk to restaurants, but driving into Kemmerer lets you take in some of the local history and "charm". Strong WiFi and satellite TV.
Everything about our stay here was excellent. I am 6' tall and the shower actually comes out of the wall at about the 7' level so I had the best hotel/motel shower I can remember. Most of them hit me in the head or worse yet, the chest. Great bathroom ventilation, no steam build up on the mirror. Great staff, great beds, and very clean
We were on the first floor of this motel, and it was the epitome of pleasant. Welcoming staff, attention to detail from shower to breakfast table. We are well-traveled individuals, and have read exuberant reviews only to find the real deal a different story. This deserves our exuberant review. Clean, comfy, big beds, quiet-quiet-quiet with tall ceilings to absorb second floor noise. We were on a fossil dig sponsored by the museum where we volunteer as dinosaur bone preparers, and if it wasn't for the grandkids waiting at home for us, we would have willingly spent another night for good rest. Note: some of the local restaurants are purty decent - Kemmerer is not a new visit for us, and it's shown its wear and tear, but the folks in town work to provide a good plate of food for visitors. Kemmerer's elevation is high, so it's colder longer. June is cool and wet, so summers are short but pleasant, and September gets cooler and wetter again. Fossil hunters: bring jackets.
If you're going fossil hunting this hotel, though not the only game in town, is the only name brand hotel on offer in Kemmerer. Even though they have the corner on the market they still offer a good value for your money. The location is close to everything in the small town, the people are nice and the rooms are clean. Two things deserve extra mention. First, something about the way the hotel is laid out gives the impression of spaciousness, perhaps the wide hallways or the way it's perched on a hill with a sweeping view. Whatever it is, it gives a nice feel to the place. Secondly, the breakfast room has been so well thought out that you never have to hunt down personnel for another cup of coffee or more napkins, etc. Everything is self-serve and the breakfast is quite decent and ample. It's not fancy but it's a good value for the money.
We stayed here as a part of the recent Tate Conference, having traveled down from Casper. After a long day in a nearby fish quarry, the Best Western was like an oasis in the desert! The room was clean and spacious; everything was in really good order! The breakfast was very nice, although our group pushed the smaller size of the room and supplies!
The rooms are huge, super clean, quiet, nice beds, linens and pillows. Breatkfast is average but plenty of choices in a very nice room. If you are staying in Kemmerer, this is definitely the best choice and so much nicer than you will expect!
This hotel is great!! (and is the best option in the town), the lobby is spacious, the have water and coffee (free) all day long and cookies at 5.00 pm!!, the staff is helpful and friendly (The lady in the front desk was great). They have a pool and a little gym. Our room was large and clean, have a microwave and fridge, they have free WiFi. Is close to a Subway and a gas station. Highly recommended!
An oasis in the middle of nowhere. This is a typical BW property with free breakfast, wifi (a bit spotty), fitness / pool whirlpool and a couple conference rooms. It appears to be the only decent lodging choice for 50 miles in any direction.
The best hotel for miles around. The staff is friendly, helpful and try to make you stay a pleasant one. Breakfast is great with plenty of variety. Scrambled Eggs each morning. Bacon and sausage alternate days. Hot and cold cereal. Outstanding.
Clean, comfortable and a great night's sleep. Very much recommend this hotel if visiting Fossil Butte (or just passing through). If we're ever in this part of the USA again would stay without hesitation. Unfortunately the distance from London in the UK means we probably won't be able to!
Friendly employees, very clean and comfortable. One of the best breakfasts we have had staying at hotels. The staff went way out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. This is definitely a great place to stay.
This is a Brand new Hotel. It was very nice. It was very affordable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The beds were awesome. The breakfast was on of the best that we have had. We will defiantly be staying here again on our next fossil hunting adventure!
this hotel is always clean and the staff is very friendly. This is a nice stop in a very small town. the food is always good and the pool is open 24hrs which is nice when I can't sleep. I would much rather stay here than down the road in Evanston. It isn't too far from the fossil quarries.
This is a fairly new location so, as you would expect, things are nice & clean with the latest & greatest amenities. The beds here were very comfortable, the shower head (one of my favorite gripes) was very nice and the room was nice & quiet. The only thing we had an issue with, was the room lighting - which simply wasn't adequate. There are two table lamps & a matching floor lamp. The floor lamp worked intermittently at best and between the three really didn't supply enough light. Now - if that's the biggest problem we had - that's not bad at all. The staff was beyond wonderful and accommodating. Ohhhh - one detail they need to address is actually getting to the hotel! The "entrance" is not directly by the hotel itself - but a couple hundred yards down the road, with only a fairly small sign to identify the turn off. A larger sign would be very helpful for first-time visitors (assuming local codes would allow it).
Great location with free breakfast and good wifi. What could be better?! Just outside Kemmerer and a short drive to Fossil Butte National Monument, which we highly recommend for the fossil enthusiasts in your life. Dress warm, even in April.
Great staff and very clean rooms. The breakfast is great with a full, hot breakfast. Enjoyed the comforts! The Internet was a bit slow but I hear they are getting fiber Internet at this Hotel soon. The clean remotes are a bit hard to manipulate but I appreciate the cleanliness of them. My door entry key stopped working three times but it wasn't hard to get them reprogrammed.
This hotel is very clean, very efficient and friendlier than any hotel I've ever stayed! The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was amazing and I highly recommend it whenever you visit Kemmerer! Oh...they had cookies every afternoon and evening and they were excellent.
Very well maintained property with excellent staff. Meeting arrangements were effortless and everything was provided just as planned. Our entire group was very happy with the experience and will certainly return if we have additional business in the area.
Very nice place to stay? Kemmerer is off the beaten path, but well worth the visit with the first J.C. Penney store and nearby Fossil Beds N.M. The BW is a comfortable base from which to explore the area.
Best Western Fossil Country Inn and Suites is a great place to stay. I have stayed here many times for business. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here!
This has changed my view of best western hotels. The hotel appears to be brand new or kept to impeccable standards. The staff was very helpful. I was surprised the hotel is actually on the south side of Diamondville and not in Kemmerer but it is a 5 minute drive through both; just watch for the deer wandering through town which was really cool to see.
The hotel had everything I could ask for. The highlight was how everybody there took their time to answer my questions about the area and recommendations for eating. Already made reservations to stay there this summer for Kemmerer's annual bluegrass festival.
Rooms were very clean and up to date. Staff was terrific. Lobby was decorated for the Christmas season to the point that folks from town were coming there to take pictures. The staff was very helpful with guests who had problems getting their vehicles started (-20 Degrees without windchill).
This place always has comfortable beds and is like an oasis in a dessert. By far the best hotel within 90 miles. I recommend this hotel to anyone working in or around Kemmerer. While breakfast is typical fare, it is better than anything in Kemmerer.
When traveling to or through Kemmerer, WY. I always stay at this hotel. It's very nice, clean and convenient whether you are by yourself or with family. Not what you would expect in a small town. I highly recommend others to stay here.
I would recommend this hotel. The room was very clean, as was the workout room and swimming pool! Friendly staff, excellent selection for breakfast (bacon, hash brown triangles, scrambled eggs, waffles, fruit, etc.)
No doubt this is the best hotel in Kemmerer. Stayed at the Super8 last time and they charged me way too much for what I received. No breakfast, even though they said I would have breakfast. This hotel is beautiful, has great beds, staff is wonderful, and the breakfast is flat out amazing for a non five star hotel.
Spent a week in Kemmerer on a fishing vacation. this property was the best accommodations in the area. Breakfast was an added bonus. Rooms were nice and quiet. WOuld be nice if BW had a diner here, as there is limited eating establishments in Kemmerer, especially after 9PM.
We loved every part of our stay here. The front desk staff was very helpful and recommended an excellent local restaurant. The room was HUGE! Breakfast was very good, and everything was so clean. I had never been a fan of Best Western before, but I've certainly changed my mind. Our quiet room was just what we needed after a day of travelling. The town is small but worth a look; don't expect a booming city. Certainly cute with only a few options for food.
Best hotel in Kemmerer, but we got in at 9:00 PM and there were only 2 choices to eat. Pizza hut and arctic circle. Town could use some restaurants open till at least 10 PM. Hotel was nice and comfortable though and had a decent free breakfast
Best Western PLUS Fossil Country Inn & Suites is a very convenient, affordable, excellent quality motel to spend the night while traveling. Most surprising were the very comfortable beds with gel pillows, and quiet room affording a very restful nights sleep.
I have been enjoying my stay. Since a good quiet evening is my goal it has been reached. Nice, clean and comfy room. I leave before breakfast but they serve from 6 to 9 am. A bit of bussel up till about 8 pm last night then it was peaceful enough to lay down. Respectful staff and guests. Definitely recommend. Only downside is no restraunt on site for evening meals.
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling to the area, it was one of the cleanest, most friendly places I have ever stayed at. Requiring 200 minimum characters for this review makes me not want to do any more reviews for Trip Advisor. That's all I've got to say about that.
The Best Western PLUS Country Inn & Suites is the best place to stay in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had all the ammenities. It was a welcoming treat after spending the day in the quarry.
A new and well run motel on the edge of a small town. So it was very quiet and relaxing. The nearby Fossil Butte visitor center's displays are outstanding, worth the trip, and this is by far the best place to stay when seeing them!
It seemed to us that this hotel was clearly the best in the area. Not fancy; but It was simple, clean, and had good mattresses. The best thing about it was that it had a "do it yourself laundromat" in it. After digging for fossils, you NEED ONE! We were so glad we didn't have to pack all our dusty clothes!
