Best Western Hotell Karlshamn

Hotel i right at the side of the big highway outside Karlsham. Choose this if you prefer easy highway asses Very welcoming staff at frontdesk. I needed overnight 220 volt to charge my ambulance that I had with me. And the frontdesk staff arranged that in a couple of minutes. Ie really good and nice frontdesk staff. Very very nice bar, and very nice looking restaurant. Good looking breakfast ( but no time to eat) But breakfasr was totally overcrowded. Entering your room you are greeted by a warehouse cold light in the ceiling. The person choosing this led light color should be fired. It is so cold and Un- friendly and not cozy color. Room is a disappointing 2 star room ie not so nice room. And the bed is rock-hard.. funchional bathroom. Hotel was clean. But the wood floor in the room need to be changed. If you can get a good rate at this hotel, i would choose it again, otherwise not.

The bathrobe was only in size small, so we coulden used them. No other size was avaibul. We order cava from the spa but no one come and served us. The outside jazzuci was closed, and no information about that. The man who work in the bar was uninterested to serve the guest. He was more interest in talking too other in the staff.

Cold rooms no thermostat. High prices for a small hotel. No cleaning in the room in spite of staying two nights. Limited lactose free and gluten free options. Advertised as a Spa hotel but the spa is not included in the room price. I do not recommend.

By far easiest check in & check out friendly service no hassle I have experienced from any chain hotels. Comfortable convenience location restaurant bar and breakfast just perfect. Family friendly clean plenty of free parkings and electric charging station

Book a spa room. this gives access to the hotel's spa department in the basement. Which is surprisingly good. The rooms feel a bit outdated. The hotel restaurant is very good. The hotel breakfast is good and there is a lot to choose from

We spent our two day visit here. Clean rooms, nice staff. The beds were very bad, the spa made up for it. Good spa, clean and cute! Good for family's with older children/couples/elderly. The breakfast was also good but nothing exceptional. Location wise it's a bit off, but good if your by car. There's a big supermarket in walking distance if you need anything. Price wise it's fair.

Disappointed. Not great value for money. The rooms feel dated. No air-conditioning (a fan was provided but didn't do much). Beds in need of updating. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but serving staff was either having a bad day or simply don't enjoy their job, because they were very moody and not nice at all.

Standard chain hotel without anything special. Plenty of free parkking space front of hotel. If you dining try big schrimp sandwitch..very delisious choice. Good kitchen. Rooms are just fixed and ok. Normal good breakfast.

I visited Karlshamn with my dog and stayed at this hotel. It was clean and everything worked great! Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. And so was the dinner I ate there. Nice location to arrive and easy to get to. I'd recommend this hotel!

We spend 4 nights in the hotel. As we have a daughter with problems, we decide to call the hotel before arriving (my wife spike perfect Swedish) to be sure that the room was with easy access and perfectly settled for our needs. We got a confirmation for a triple room at the ground floor. We also advised the reception that we will arrive sometimes around 01:30 a.m.. At the arrival we did a very fast and clear check-in but, once we entered in the assigned room we only found 2 beds. The receptionist did the maximum to fix the problem and she added an opening bed (with a very tin and uncomfortable matrass) in which I had to sleep for the first night. We went to bed sometimes around 02:30 a.m.!!! The day after we got a proper room with 3 beds. We had some problems with the temperature but the third day the added one electric heating. The breakfast was very good! The personnel was very kind and helpful trying to solve every problem. At the end of our stay, to excuse themselves for the problems we had the reimbursed one night so we payed 3 nights instead of 4!!

Finally somewhere worth reviewing. They have some issues but at least they try and sort them out. I loved being able to make my own waffles at breakfast although they didn't work as well as I would have liked, my fault entirely Dinner was lovely and waitress very kind. Service grumpy elsewhere but don't let that put you off

A very friendly and nice hotel. Nice room. The only drawback was that there is no aircon in the room. It was quite warm while we visited and we could only keep the window open a little bit since the room was located on the groundfloor. The restaurang was very nice. Great breakfast buffet.

Starting from the postive aspects: the position is strategic, there is also a parking and a nice big supermarket around the corner you can access also by a short walk. The staff is also kind and almost helpful (helpful if you consider the "working attitude" of the local vikings, not really stakanovists). Negatives: the room is little and during this particularly hot summer 2018 a microwave owen would have been more fresh and comfortable. The room they gave us was dirty, pillows and trash not even changed, unforgivable, even if they changed our room we had unpacked when we realized the mysfit and we had to do all by ourselves. the breakfast is fine in terms of quantity and vatriety. I would come back only if in emergency around this area.

Did stay 7 night here. Everything was OK. Breakfast and lunch was okey. I can recommend this to others.The staff was polite, the beer was good. The resturang menu is small but priceworthy. A long way to walk to city centre.

This hotel has an average standard with comfy beds and good breakfast. It's impersonal and decoration is generic, but staff is friendly and kitchen stayed open late to serve a late dinner. It's close to the hospital, but otherwise far from the centre. Unless you drive, this might be inconvenient, but if you just want a decent hotel as a base for exploring the area it will do just fine!

Cosy hotel with nice, spacy rooms. Room (superior) was clean and there was cleaning every day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! A lot of different kinds of food to start your day with. There was also possibility to get a late night snack like hamburgers. For sure we'll be back next year at the time of Sweden Rock!

2 minutes walks from the the market. Close do another big markets in that area, but still little outside the city. Quiet, clean rooms, good WiFi connection with good breakfast is all You need for short stay.

We stayed one night in this hotel during our two weeks in Sweden and it was a very disappointing stay. Our room was for three people and it was very dated, which was in extreme contrast to the rooms one can see in the photos. The furniture was very used and stained and the curtains in the room were dirty. Our friends had a double room facing the highway and it was much more like what is displayed on the photos. When we entered the room there was only one bed in there. The rest was hidden in a sofa, also an old piece of furniture with torn upholstering, yay. In the end we had to call the hotel's staff, because we could not figure out where were we supposed to sleep and how to open the sofa. All other hotels that we stayed at had all the beds, sofas etc. already opened and prepared for us. On a more positive note: the breakfast is good and the hotel offers free parking to their guest. The room size was ok - large enough to have place to sleep for three people and nothing more. The hotel is loud - on one side there is the highway. We had a room facing the parking, so in theory should be quieter. However there was some sort of generator making random noises day and night - very disturbung. Especially that many hotels in Sweden seem overheated to us and thus ot was impossible to sleep with closed windows. Also, initially there was a very unpleasant stench in the bathroom - however by morning it disappeared. I wouldn't want to stay there again.

Location by the old harbour. Near expo center and city center, charming small town. Good breakfast and snack service other time. Generous public lounge with TV screen. Friendly staff. Sauna and small gym on top floor.

This was the second year staying at this hotel during Sweden Rock Festival. Very good hotel. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. Good Wifi in the hotel. Restaurant is good. Breakfast given each morning and is good. There is a market (COOP) next door if you need to pick up anything. There is a gas station next door as well. Close to town by car it's just a few minutes. About 20 minutes to the Sweden Rock Festival site in Norje. Get a room facing parking to stay cooler, the rooms facing the road get direct sun and get warm.

We stayed here before and were back because of the pleasant previous experience. Again, it was hockey in Mörrum that brought us here. Well, 2 hours after we checked in the tournament was unexpectedly canceled, and when the dust had settled, we decided to just go home. The desk staff at the hotel were very sympathetic and understanding of the situation and refunded our money save for a small fee for booking and cleaning. We were not the only family affected by this unexpected cancellation, and it seems that everyone was treated in exactly the same extremely civilized manner. The hotel probably took a pretty hard financial hit refunding all the affected guests and standing somewhat empty on a weekend. We were extremely appreciative and will definitely be back. And we will continue to tell everyone we can about this fantastic treatment we received.

The best western is a pleasant hotel with a friendly and welcoming staff. Great service and a very pleasant breakfast buffet. The room was really up-to-date and looking sharp. A typical Swedish hotel, and I would stay again if I would come back to Karlshamn.

Nice rooms are equpped in modern design with exactly what we needed for a comfortable stay. Full breakfast buffé gave us all possible choices. Fast free WiFi in rooms worked without problems. We used the free parking which is partly roofed. We used 3-nights stay offer for a very good rate booked on BW own website.

A hockey tournament in nearby Mörrum led to stay in this hotel in nearby Karlshamn to avoid an early morning and a long drive on the day of the tournament. Easy access off the motorway but tucked in behind a StatOil, a bit tricky to find. Especially with the parking lot "behind" the hotel. We were welcomed by signs that said something like "Empty your vehicle or a thief might do it for you" which is a bit breathtaking after a long drive. But the hotel itself was warm and clean and pleasant with a large restaurant. The feeling was of relatively recent renovations. We checked in only to find one of our rooms was unbearably noisy due to a high-pitch squeal coming from the radiator. Apparently, this is a known problem and we were promptly upgraded and relocated. The rooms are small, clean, and efficient. Capsule coffee maker, which was a nice touch. Reasonable TV, excellent beds. No road noise, no noise from other guests -- despite the fact that there was a boisterous Christmas party going on in the lounge maybe 4 rooms down the corridor and on the same floor. We used the restaurant for supper and for breakfast the next day of course, and both meals were very satisfactory. the breakfast buffet was particularly appreciated. All in all, I would both return and recommend this hotel. Although part of a chain, it had a family-run feel to it, and the service we received was well above what we have come to expect.

This hotel is being renovated - some rooms are really nice, some are a little basic. I visited with 2 other colleagues - my room has a new bathroom with heated floor and a nice setup, theirs have basic showers and are not so nice. I think as they renovate it will get better. the food, the bar, the breakfast, are all much nicer than the First Hotel in Karlshamn, and the internet speed is excellent - around 19mbs down, which is great for a hotel.

the hotel is very comfortable, with great decor ...quite "hip". Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet had lots of local, very fresh and healthy food. And of course, meats and cheeses. We had dinner and drinks also....limited ar, limited menu but very good.
