Great value and convenient to getting where I needed to be since it was right off the freeway. Breakfast was great and had lots of options. Staff was always helpful. Neighborhood at first seemed a little uncertain but turned out to be a quiet comfortable stay with no problems. Beautiful landscaping at this hotel.

"Rouch motel"

If you think you get what you paid for you would be wrong. Way over priced for this budget motel room. Breakfast was a joke. Had to go eat out do to the over crowded room with very little selection. Must say first night we were not impressed. On the second night we started to find the cockroaches. This has won the reward as the worst motel I've ever stayed in. We really thought hard about leaving at midnight and driving 5 hours home but did not. There is no reason this place got a 4 star rating

Good location for me.Price was good for my budgetDrove from fro Chicago to destination.Satisfied my needs.For the evening,I was able to enjoy Harrah's North Kansas Casino and Kansas city Farmer;s market the next day Saturday,> Excellent. I Will rerun.

I stayed here a few years ago and it was okay, this time it was excellent. Great location right off the Interstate, great customer service, clean, very comfy beds, totally worth what you pay. Will go back a 3rd time.

Stay here on way to Branson. He staff were very courteous and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed is soft enough that I was able to sleep good. They have a pretty good breakfast. I alwAys go for a waffle. But a lot of choices.

Clean room, comfortable bed, exceptional customer service (friendly staff!!!). Very good continental breakfast (tea, coffee, cereals, fruits, breads/muffins, eggs, sausages, oatmeal, make your own waffles). Room had fridge and microwave. Super fast wifi. I chose Best Western over a hotel at the Crown Center which cost triple! 15 minutes by Uber average $13 each way to Crown Center/Union Station. A great stay for a great price.

"Close to several North KC attractions"

We stayed here on a Saturday evening, and the front desk staff commented that they were sold out. Our room was on the 2nd floor which required us to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. This hotel is located near the highway which made it convenient to drive to other nearby attractions. Our king size bed was fairly creaky and not the most comfortable. There were plenty of pillows but they were smallish. The breakfast was typical for Best Western with cereal, juice, coffee & tea. They also had egg and sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, waffle station, boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit. There was seating for 16 in the dining room and at one point during breakfast there were some guests waiting for a table to open up. Both of the hotel workers in the breakfast area did an admirable job keeping the food items refreshed and the tables clean.

Stopped here because the price was pretty darn good! Definitely worth it, clean, comfortable bed! You can't really ask for anymore with the price we paid! Good breakfast, starting at 06:30am. WiFi was also good!

Although the area is not the greatest the hotel is awesome!! The staff is very friendly and every single person greeted you when you encounter them. They were very helpful even for mundane requests! The breakfast has alot of choices & they are constantly refilling it. The pool was VERY cold the 1st time we used it but it was much better the next time! The rooms were very clean & they spiffed it up every day! I highly recommend this hotel & will definitely stay here on my next trip!

Nice alternative to the downtown Best Western, which is much more expensive and not near as nice. Decent driving distance to everything you want in KC. Access to the airport and North KC amenities, including Zona Rosa shopping district.

The hotel was really nice. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The hotel room was really clean, but it was a little small. Therefore, if you intend on having a lot of people staying in your room, you might want to make sure your room is bigger. However, overall, I liked my hotel stay.

Quiet room, you'll get great sleep. Rooms in need of updates. Area of town was not the best.. staff very friendly, helpful and check in was quick.. Close to interstate, pool was clean. Plenty of parking and all request were filled in timely manner.

Quite, clean, and comfortable rooms. Staff at the hotel were accommodating. Internet was great and breakfast was good for the price of the room. I would stay at this hotel again. They also have a pool seems pretty clean. I didn't jump in this time but would definitely on my next visit.

This is a fabulous property. I had a smoking room and it did not smell like smoke very neat and clean. Water pressure in the shower is out of this world and the beds are very comfy!!! Kris The manager is very much hands on and is absolutely fabulous As I travel a lot for work anytime I need to be in that area that will be the only place that I stay. I am a single female and was very comfortable and felt very secure even with the exterior doors was disappointed when my trip was cut short both times in 2 weeks however will be returning next week for a week stay and very much looking forward to my room

This is a 3 or 3 1/2 star hotel. It is clean, beds are comfortable, seems to be in a good area, close to the highway. Don't expect a mint in your pillow. You can expect a quiet room with a good bed, TV, mini fridge and microwave. The free breakfast was decent with scrambled eggs, sausage and sausage gravy as well as the waffle machine. My only problem was that the ice machine was inoperative. Still got ice from the front desk.

Clean hotel and had what you needed. Nothing over the top but good for the price. All amenities were just average but that was okay for the purpose of our trip. Everything was well taken care of. Breakfast was a little lacking but overall it was good.

Great value hotel. Conveniently located. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great continental breakfast. Rooms were clean and inviting. Our room included microwave and large refrigerator. No problems whatsoever during our 2 night stay. Nice AC and beds were comfortable.

Was a little apprehensive to stay here with the reputation of the neighborhood, but read trip advisor reviews and decided to give it a shot. Happy that I did because, although an older property, the ownership has done an excellent job of keeping the place up. Used the pool after work one day and it was very clean and safe. There seemed to be staff whenever you needed them and the campus was well lit. They clearly do a great job keeping their customers safe. Will stay again.

I was on the ground floor, quiet even with parking right outside which was very convenient. Very friendly and helpful staff and breakfast was kept stocked so all the choices were readily available. We were visiting relatives in area and found easy access to the roads helped us as we went out to various venues from sporting to museums. I would stay here again the next time I am in the area.

This little place is a lot nicer than I was expecting. The outside is well kept, the inside lobby and breakfast area is newly designed and quite clean and modern. The room was a nice size, and the staff was very friendly. Towels: Not huge, not fluffy. Only two in the room had to ask for more. Amenities: The coffee maker worked and the shampoo and soap was decent. Shower: Ah. Maz. Ing. The water pressure was out of this world. In my top-two hotel showers ever. Outlets: they had installed extra devices for plugging in phones and other electronics, which was nice. WiFi: worked. we brought our fire stick and was able to stream while we were there with no issues. Overall for the price I would stay here again for the shower. Breakfast being included is always a nice feature too.

We have a king room with mini fridge, microwave & mini coffee pot. Nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Good accommodations. Comfy king bed. And close to where we needed to be. They have a pool & laundry available also. Parking & WiFi are free. Good place to stay. Would not hesitate to refer to others or come back ourselves.

Location is great: right off the Interstate and easy to find. There was no highway noise. Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The building is an older style with outside access to your car.

Do not stay here. Rooms are dirty, area in town is very questionable. Yet they charge more than a Holiday Inn in the nice part of town! No actual security. Beds are rock hard and sheets may have been washed, but doubtful. Sticky goo on the remote.

Stayed here after a concert @ Sprint Center, rather than driving home. Place is neat, clean & quiet. Staff is friendly and accomadating. Breakfast was OK. Just an average motel breakfast. Sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, including a gluten free offering. Some fruit and pastries. OK, but not exceptional. Would certainly stay here again. BTW, The coffee was very good.

Traveling to have fun, I stayed for a night and had a great stay! Hotel is really nice inside with friendly staff. Room was large with nice comfortable beds, very clean, bathroom clean with everything I needed. Would recommend for a great night's stay!

We were right off the highway close to downtown but didnt have to fight the morning traffic. Rooms were fresh and clean. Staff was very friendly, I've read some other reviews that criticized the front desk but they were great, I'm sure treating them like human beings instead of servants makes the experience better.

"Horrible experience."

Booked the hotel with intention of using our points. Booked 2 hotel rooms we had $100 gift card to use. We told the hotel clerk when we check in, he said that would be to e and would just give us 1 night stay. Upon checking out we were charged for both rooms. The staff especially Jenel was horrible. The hotel itswlf is fine, but there are 2 abandoned hotels accross the street, that look down right dangerous. Do not go out after dark.

We visit KC three times a year to spend with family. A very nice, and very clean hotel. Easy check in / out. The room cleaning staff is outstanding. Quality of on site breakfast needs to be improved. Weekend rates are very reasonable. Easy access from highway. Located in a quiet area.

"Great location, pristine rooms, superb breakfast, quiet"

It's a former motor hotel with outside entrances that's been totally remodeled. Rooms are very well maintained, bed was comfortable, shower had great pressure, breakfast consisted of waffles, sausage, egg and cheese biscuits and all types of cereal. Locations is very quiet and convenient to I-35. Only reason the hotel didn't rate a 5 is the rooms empty to the outside where the smokers conveniently set up shop.

I had a great check-in with CJ. Got a great room, wasn't worried about my safety whatsoever, despite reviews I had read. Would stay there again. It was close to Sprint Center and not too far from the airport.

This is my go to hotel when having a nightout in KC!! Clean rooms,easy check in and out!! Close to downtown but not too close..cheap price for nice rooms!! Taxi service fast and had food ordered even faster

"Don't stay here "

We spent 4 nights at this hotel. Every night is was laughing and banging noises, stomping noises. It would last until like 7 in the morning. We made a complaint the second day and front desk staff told us not to worry. The people above us has Left. 3rd night was the same thing. I was told just to dial 0 from the phone room if I had issues. I dialed twice and no answer. The last night AGAIN! The same people making the same noise! I called the front desk around midnight and no answer. It just rang and rang. This morning during check out. They didn't offer a discount or anything. The front desk said she would forward my complain to the manager and he will probably offer me points for best western! How is that going to make me happy???

Hello Soniapad, I recall speaking to our night auditor regarding this and he sincerely stated he did not hear the phone ring but he may have not been in the office at this time. There are times our night auditors make random property strolls for cleaning the parking lot, security duties and of course if nature calls. This may have overlapped with the time frame of your phone call. I always stress to call in 15 minute intervals to ensure a phone answer because we want to avoid events such as these. I apologize he was not able to attend or assist with your noisy neighbors. "Looking For Decent Hotel Reasonably Priced For One Night"

We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for one night. The room was clean adequate. We would stay there again. The desk staff were very helpful when I called with questions. The floor lamp switch did not work so it had to be unplugged, but that was a minor inconvenience. The bathrooms are very small.

"Deceiving pictures"

This hotel is not in a good area. The rooms are so dark, one window and if you happened to get a room off the path, then you probably will get no natural light. heard every noise in the room above and next to us. TV's loud and toilets flushing. I would not choose to go back to this hotel.

Hotel was very nice. Gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and quickly and easily answered all of my tourist questions. What really impressed me was that I made a recommendation (not a complaint, mind you -- the stay was great) in the comments that they followed up on very quickly. To me, that is the sign of great customer service -- when a place takes the time to follow up on problems (once again, we didn't have any of those) or suggestions.

Stay was great and there were many reasons for me to come back. The staff was very friendly and flexible, as well as making sure our stay was went smoothly. Breakfast was great as well as the pool. Highly recommend coming here

Easy to find, clean, modern features, quiet, friendly staff. This was our second stay and we chose to stay at this motel because of a previous good experience. I would say as good as the last stay was, this one was even better! Will definitely stay here again with any trips to Kansas City!

"Great Room, Looks are deceiving."

This Best Western looks outdated and in a strange area, check in was easy and very friendly. We were able to back right up to our room which we do like, some dont like the outside entrance but we do like the ease of loading and unloading the car. Only pizza across the street and a 7 eleven but it was an easy mile drive up the road to various restaurants. Room was very nice and comfortable. The only complaint was the bathroom door was hard to get to shut and the bathroom was very tiny but it served its purpose none the less, could use more lightening in the sink area, very dark for someone doing make up. Upstairs room came in late at night and could easily hear them walking around, ceiling seemed thin but not really a big issue for us, we sleep well. Appreciate the pet friendly accomadation without a pet gouging price. Husband said the breakfast was okay, it was cold out and I didnt want to venture outside, I guess that was the down side of an outside room entrance on this occasion. Seemed pricey but not compared to others we had looked at on this route.

"Strange, dark and a bit creepy"

First, I thought this was rather expensive for a non “Plus” class best western. Second, there were some odd, rather scary characters walking about in the evening. I had to walk my dog, so it made me rather nervous. It is very poorly lit, which adds to the uncomfortable feeling. Third, my next door neighbors came in at 3AM and continued the party they probably just left. Fourth, the carpeting right next to the bed was wet. This was next to the bathroom wall, so I suspect something is leaking. Finally, the sheets were threadbare and the towels were much smaller than bath size. I cannot complain about the staff, the breakfast was minimal, and it was much less scary in the daytime. I did find a nice place to eat at a mall a mile or so to the north. I would have to recommend going elsewhere, though, for safety.

I always stay here!!! The staff is great, they always have a smile and willing to suggest fun things to do. The rooms are very nice and upated. Its located right off the higway easy to get to also and there is a Starbucks just 5 minutes away!!!!

I stay here often and every stay is great! Jodie makes a really good breakfast. Cj knows all the good places in town to eat and Jenel always ask how I have been since my last visit. The rooms are updated and the beds are very comfortable.

In town for a convention and he location of this particular BW served our purpose well. Quick and easy drive to downtown KC and the convention center. Comfy and clean with basics. One thing to note was the incredibly friendly staff. Jennelle was at the front desk and was very thorough and genuinely friendly. Appreciated that after a long flight. Didn't catch names of other staff but to a person they were all awesome.

"A mixed bag"

We are Best Western rewards members and stay often when traveling. Usually, I book directly, but this time I booked through Trip Advisor, which apparently negated any discount from AAA or AARP. (Or at least that's what the desk clerk said). I agree with another reviewer, who said the building was not well-constructed. I'm guessing that it was a cheaper chain that BW bought and renovated. The renovations are up to BW standards, but the building is not so much...thin walls, doors that do not close easily, and dated furniture. The bed and linens were very comfortable and we did sleep well. The breakfast was adequate and the breakfast room was attractive. We probably would stay here again, but not unless the price was lower than what we had to pay this time. A budget hotel should have a budget price.

Not a luxury hotel, but clean, safe, quiet, and affordable. Decent in room amenities, pleasant staff. Room decor is not the most modern and could use some updating, but was adequate. Breakfast was basic, coffee not so good, but the beds were comfortable.

"Convenient stopping place"

The BW hotel in north Kansas City is easy to get to from I-35 and a convenient stop over on our trip to the SW. The building looks pretty good and the staff is friendly. The building was not well made...sounds come through the walls from neighboring rooms. The breakfast is okay...much better than a wrapped honey bun and coffee, but the eggs and sausage appear to be microwave prepared. Internet connection requires a little extra work but once connected, it's fine.

"Very Noisy"

I really dislike having too rate a Best Western as "Poor". In fact, I never have. But, this location gave me several reasons for doing so. When I look for a hotel to book, I try to locate one in a safe area. I don't know the crime statistics for this area, but we heard sirens at least 4 times for every three nights we stayed. The noise level was high. This may be because each room has its own door leading outside to parking lot. We could also hear traffic from highway at night. My biggest concern was this - we were out late and returned to hotel at 1230am. When we arrived there was a male drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette standing in front of our door, There were also three individuals on second level balcony that were standing outside drinking and very loud. We had our 14 year old daughter with us. They were discussing (very loudly) there latest sexual encounters using EXTREMELY LOUD voices. I DID NOT complain to the office because all of the above mentioned subjects observed us parking our vehicle. I'm sure if I had complained and IF anyone had followed up on complaint, there probably would have been a very good chance that our vehicle would have been vandalized. I would recommend that BW have parking lot security. At least at night or when big events are in area.

Especially since it was past 1230 this is clearly unacceptable. We issue warnings at first and then have them removed from property if needed. If you were concerned for your safety we would have called private authorities to come and observe until the situation had deescalated. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do unless we are notified but we are very sorry that your family had to experience this. The only problems I had was with the cleanliness of the bathroom and sink area. Hair was coming out of the drains and from around the sink/counter area. The toilet seat was not clean. That was gross!!!

This is the best hotel in this part of town. It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with many choices. The staff always strive to give me the best rates possible. This is the best place to stay in North Kansas City.

"Deffinetly not a first choice"

After searching for a hotel to stay over night for the Kansas City vs Raiders game, we found most hotels were full and overpriced. This hotel came up with a reasonable price but like they say you get what you pay for. It was obvious after seeing our room the only thing thats been updated in the last 10 years is the lobby of this hotel. Our sheets had worn spots from years of use and the floor near the sink was squeaking and sinking in like rotted floorboards. At night it got even more eventful with our neighbors on both sides of us partying and screaming walking back in forth up untill 3am when I called the front lobby and asked them kindly to check it out. They did fix the problem until they started up again at 6 am. Needless to say lacking sleep and hungry there was at least breakfast, not anything fancy but it was food, we will book our Kansas City hotel earlier and elsewhere.

This was a motel without outside access rather than inside. It looked to have been updated and was in good condition. The lobby and breakfast room had an odd configuration, but easily accessible. Not a great choice of restaurants near by, but happened upon Stroud's off the beaten path, which was excellent and worth the search.

Truthfully I was a little skeptical when we drove up because it was a motel rather than a hotel, but the owners have done a great job with it. It was clean, the staff were very helpful, and it had everything we needed. The internet was really good, which is a big priority for our family. Also a bonus for our family was that the sink was outside the bathroom so multiple people could get ready at the same time. This property was about 10 minutes from the Convention Center which was where we were heading. By being a few minutes out rather than downtown we saved over $100 for our 2-night stay (had we booked earlier rather than last minute we could have saved more). It is about a minute off the interstate at the edge of a subdivision so no highway noise. In fact it was quieter than the last hotel we stayed in. There was also a microwave and fridge in the room which was helpful. If you are traveling with a family I would recommend this. The breakfast was fairly modest but had a variety of choices and some healthy choices so we both found something we were happy with.

Picked this motel as it was in a convenient location to the place we would be visiting. Closest of the 2 Best Western Motels in that area. Nice clean room, everything worked well, comfortable bed. Considering how close we were to the interstate, very quiet facility.

Room is comfortable and clean. Internet has good speed and easy acccess. Large trash receptacles next to tiny front door with broken front door. Eating space is big enough for 15 people at a given time with low quality stale food.

"Friday night stay"

Easy to find (it was at night for us). The gentleman that checked us in was one of most friendly, professional and efficient hotel staff I've ever seen (including overseas hotels). The room was clean, well stocked, quiet. Breakfast was typical midpriced hotel breakfast but it was presented well, clean and well supplied. Checkout was fast, the woman that staffed the am shift was as friendly, professional and efficient as the evening shift. I plan staying here again.

"Large comfy room, good location, but plumbing problems"

Separate table for laptop. Very nice ergonomic desk chair. Full and varied breakfast. Two plumbing problems: very slow draining sink, water level too high in the toilet. We feared overflow when flushing. We reported this when checking out, and were shocked when the desk clerk said casually, “Oh, yes, that one's always a problem.” Well, if you reach back with toilet paper in your hand and your hand touches the water, it's gross and unsanitary. If you're a guy and your privates touch the water when sitting, that's REALLY gross and unsanitary. The only way to use the toilet is by squatting high over it. Very uncomfortable. This known problem should be fixed permanently. We arrived late and tired, and couldn't be bothered to ask for another room. We would certainly demand a change if we were here more than one night.

Hello Doc, I apologize for your plumbing issues and the service response given regarding your complaint on it. This is unacceptable and I will be speaking to my staff directly regarding this item. However, I do want you to know these are all power flush water saving toilets that were all installed a couple years back. I personally called their technical support to see if there was a way to adjust the water levels and unfortunately there is no setting mechanism on these models. The Hotel was fantastic, great price, great service, quiet neighborhood. I really enjoyed my stay and will stay again!! It was a high quality at a very reasonable price. I travel to Kansas City two to three times a year for sports events and this is the best value price I have found.

"Good Location"

We liked everything about this hotel except for the beds. We had 2 beds and neither one was comfortable. One was very squeaky. Every time the person moved, it would make noise. But the room was clean. The breakfast was slightly better than the standard fare with sausage and eggs. The location was perfect for us too.

"Best water pressure ever"

This best western was comfortable just like most but the shower was amazing. It was also close to the city and conveniently located right off the highway. Breakfast was your average that you would expect.

One of the best nights sleep we had, The bed was made to order, the hotel was immaculately clean, breakfast buffet that had eggs that looked like eggs, cooked perfectly, crispy bacon and fresh and perfectly ripe fruit.

The hotel was very nice over all. I didn't know what to expect as my wife booked it for me. Having an outside entrance into my room is not something I would normally agree to but the weather was very nice.

We received great value at this hotel. Nice quiet neighborhood with a good selection of places to eat. One night of our stay the upstairs guest was a little heavy footed past our bedtime,but that's the nature of the beast. Staff was professional and friendly and the place was clean.

We where in Kansas City Missouri and stayed at this Best Western I was so very happy the outside looked like it wasn't open. But I saw someone in the pool. We had friends we where visiting who lived in Kansas City years ago and they where visiting from Arizona. They met us in the parking lot, so I went into the office and met the man on duty CJ what a nice young man. I said can I see a room, and it was lovely I am thinking just having a make over, It was beautiful CLEAN, BREAKFAST Was great. And the other young lady on duty was Jenel and I can't say enough nice things about the Country Inn North. From the time we arrived we felt welcome and cared about by the staff. Check in was smooth as was most every request we made to the front desk. The only problem we encountered was one night when we came back to the room to find the only light in the restroom burned out. The front desk clerk couldn't find one so we replaced it with one from the lamp. This crew is tops in our books. Very helpful.

I stayed at this hotel for three weeks and every single day was great. Yes we had a power outage but my room stayed pleasantly cool and I slept great. My room was clean and modern. The staff and owners were wonderful and made my stay very pleasant. The motel was close to Kansas City museums and sights but the price was very reasonable. I loved it and would will be staying with them again.

Outstatnding staff with friendly, helpful caring attitudes make up for the average location of this hotel. Exterior appearance is dated but the rooms are comfortable and all the amenities were in working order. The positive helpful can do attitude of all staff members that I met will start you on the right track to have a great day and end your day on a positive note.

I have stayed two times when traveling to and from MCI. Not at the airport, but a very good choice if you need to be between downtown and MCI. Both times I have stayed they have accommodated a late check in and late check out.

"No air"

This hotel had a trans former go out last night before we arrived I had pre paid for 2 rooms for 2nights and was told it would be fix in 45 minutes and that the key processer was not working and that they could let us into our second room with master key and we could get our key as soon as the processer is working. went to front desk this morning to get key and let them know our air and phone are still out the lady at desk said they should be fixed today and that some rooms have air and some Don't .we are traveling. With children whom where very hot and had a hard time sleeping last night without any air it had too be in the 80s in the rooms we where moved that morning to rooms with working air thank goodness but still no keys didn't receive keys until that evening so when I checked out that next morning I asked if the hotel was going to do anything to comp the guest for all the inconveniences she said she didn't know and would talk to the general manager left my email address so far I have heard nothing back on the whole ordeal that just about ruined my grandkids vacation have to say that the staff was very nice.Not their fault or ours but. you should get what you pay for or compensation for the lake of air phone and partial breakfast accommodation no coffee and less items offered due to power shortage

Electricity went out...no a/c - internet or hot breakfast. Unwilling to accommodate. Rooms are small, hair in the bed! If you have a chance I would definitely stay somewhere else. Owner did move us to another room since AC didn't work after several hours blaming it on the power outage. power came back on still no ac. Not a good trip!!!

Kudos to Best Western for upgrading its properties. This one is modern, clean, quiet, near the I-35 interstate and fairly close to restaurants. Friendly staff. Departed early so we did not try the breakfast. Overall, excellent stay for a bit more money than the budget brands.

At almost $200 a night, it's clearly way over priced!! Pool is small, no hot tub. Room was adequate, but definitely nothing to write home about. Lobby had several dead bugs around the windows, like maybe they don't clean as well as they should. Computer on a desk next to the front door is considered a business center. A level of deception is apparent to make this property seem like it's something that it really isn't!! I wouldn't stay here again unless a ton of upgrades are made or it becomes priced more appropriately like $95-$115 a night.

Although the hotel staff was very accommodating, we experienced an odor in the room (from a prior smoking room), as well as not enough towels. The breakfast was typical fare, but the room was far too small to accommodate the guests. Parking was also not sufficient to handle the number of guests.

We picked this hotel out of many other choices, because we didn't want to stay in downtown. We loved it here. The front desk staff was amazing, as well as all other employees we encountered. The room was quiet and the A/C worked wonderfully! Breakfast was included, and we enjoyed it very much. The property was clean and the flowers outside were beautiful. I would stay here again, no question.

I'm so glad we chose this hotel. I was worried that it was going to be a slow drive to the convention center, but it only took about 10 minutes...during rush hour! The front desk clerks were amazing. There was always someone attending to the breakfast area in the morning so nothing ever ran out. The neighborhood is older, but I never felt unsafe on this property.

"Solid 4 hotel"

We arrived at 9 pm and checked in. The front desk guy was helpful. The rooms were nice, adequate pillows, only shampoo and soap in the bathroom. There was a fridge and microwave. The ac worked great. We we t to the pool. It was cool and not lit but refreshing. The gate is strangely through another door (to control non guest access). Breakfast was basic- biscuits and gravy (had actual sausage), waffles, sausage, egg medallions, bread products, coffee and juice, HB eggs and yogurt. Coffee was just OK. We would return and reccommend.

This is a basic hotel North Kansas City and was appropriate for the price. Very convenient location off the highway. We had a clean room with a fridge and microwave. Outdoor pool was clean. Our two small dogs came with us. Staff professional.

We would definitely stay here again! It has been newly remodeled, friendly staff, great landscaping, pool, complementary breakfast, and reasonably priced! A benefit to us was that we were able to park in front of our door as it had an outside entrance.

Desk people were Very friendly people. Hotel only has double beds, not queen, so they seemed a bit small. Bed seemed a little hard. Did have a fridge and microwave, which was very nice to have. For being an older motel, it has been kept up pretty well.

We only stayed one night, but would certainly go back. The staff was so helpful and friendly. We had trouble figuring out the internet connection and the young man at the front desk was so patient and helped us figure it out. When we checked out the next morning, the young lady that checked us out, helped us figure out how to get back to the freeway and even wrote out instructions for us.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and quiet with comfortable beds. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The hotel is tucked in a neighborhood but was convenient for our stay, heading up to Liberty and down to Independence. The staff at the front dest were friendly as was the dining room attendant who kept things filled and clean. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but was fine for our needs. We travel with a dog and there was a $15 pet fee.

Hotel was comfortable and check-in clerk was very nice. However, a clerk poured waffle mix and left it under the sprout. When I told her what I saw, she said it was there for anyone to use. Nasty!!!!!!! If she did that its no telling what else she did with the food!! No thank you!!!

Very quiet and cozy, a nice place to recuperate after doing a bunch of activities all day. Had a professional setting with a friendly face. Already thinking about planning another trip and staying here! It was very convenient being right off of I-35 so we didn't have to stray too far from the main road.

"Great Hotel for the price"

We had a very good experience during our stay. We were looking for a reasonable place to stay with good reviews. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the staff were all friendly and helpful.The best part was that the continental breakfast was better than some hotels we've stayed at with higher prices. The person in charge of it was helping some of patrons with the waffle maker and made sure everyone was able to find what they needed on the breakfast bar.

We had 3 rooms on Saturday night May 6, 2017. Jenel was at the Front Office, she was Very friendly and polite. All 3 rooms were clean and slept well. The parking lot was safe and well lit.The breakfast had enough variety to get you on your way.

This isn't a bad place if you are looking to stay for a night. Our room smelled funky and the main picture on the website didn't look like the lobby. I will have to say the breakfast was very good and the server that took care of serving breakfast items was nice and friendly.

The room was clean and very nice. Beds were very comfortable, however, our sleep quality was poor due to the noise level coming from the room above. There does not seem to be much insulation between floors so any walking, jumping, running above us was very loud. Recommend getting a room on upper level if you stay here.

We stayed here for two nights. The staff was very friendly and the location is decent if you want to stay out of the downtown area but still be nearby. However, the rooms felt a little outdated, two insects were inside when we arrived, we booked a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke (and had a cigarette burn in a chair) and we could hear the people above either walking on the catwalk or in their hotel room frequently. We also found a strong pornographic magazine in our side table, which wasn't a huge issue for two young adults (other than for a laugh), but I imagine a family with young kids wouldn't have been very pleased with that being accessible. This didn't quite hit the standards of other Best Westerns I've stayed at but, for the price we paid, we kind of had this expectation going in. Not sure I would stay here again.

We go to our daughter's house in Iowa several times a year. We always stay in Kansas City on the way to her house and this hotel has the best location for us and it is a really nice facility. Being only two blocks off I-35 makes it so easy for us to continue our travel without the hassle of intercity traffic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

We stayed at this cozy, out of the way Best Western for NASCAR weekend in October. The Country Inn is tucked away in a residential area off of I-29. There's a 7-11 in front of it, and a big liquor store nearby. May not be reassuring of safety for some, but we didn't feel unsafe walking to the convenience store. You can tell the hotel has undergone some extensive refurbishing by the fresh paint in the lobby and in our room. In fact the carpet was so new you could still smell the carpet glue in the room. While this may really bother some people who are sensitive to chemical smells, it didn't bother us. The room itself was a double, non-smoking room and was VERY clean. However there were some areas where you could tell the owners/managers were trying to cut costs at the expense of guest comfort/satisfaction. One was blankets. This is the midwest, and in mid to late October, it's going to get cold. However our beds were covered with a top sheet and another slightly heavier sheet. No comforter and no blanket. I like to sleep in a cooler room, but knew if I ran the A/C or even fan, I would get chilled. Asked for a blanket at the front desk and the clerk even stated that blankets should be in every room. The blanket they gave me wasn't even very heavy; more like a thick sheet and had a pink, crusty stain on it, like dried Pepto-Bismol, telling me it hadn't been laundered since it's last use. The hotel also offered a free continental breakfast, which was supposed to feature waffles. It did, but the dining area was very cramped and the "hot" offerings for breakfast (waffles, sausage and egg "tacos") were lukewarm and I'm not entirely sure the sausage was cooked all the way through. There were also 2 guests in wheelchairs who were trying to get their breakfasts but were having a very difficult time due to the crowded space in the room. Besides the waffles there was cereal, bagels and bread. About the typical fare. Our room was quiet and the shower was warm. We stayed 2 nights and the hotel provided soap and shampoo, but no hand lotion, face soap, etc. Just a little less amenities than I usually find at a Best Western. At the very least the owners need to invest in some inexpensive, but fluffy and WARM blankets at their local Wal-Mart if they want to keep all guests happy this winter.

We asked for a Non-Smoking room. But, as we found out in the morning, we got a room that had been a smoking room that had been 'refurbished'. We noticed a smell at first, but the wife urged me not to complain. But, as the night went on, the old smoke smell kept permeating our senses and became very annoying by morning. Even our clothes had the smell. This, plus the guests above us kept moving, walking, and generally making noise all hours of the night. Also noticed it appeared that only half of the motel was being used and all the guests were crowded to one end of the building. Not a pleasant night.

Stray 2 nites at this hotel while attending a Kansas City Chiefs FB game. We stayed in a pet friendly room, with out two small dogs. The room was nice an clean. Well maintained. No real problems, Other than the toilet would flush properly. Being retired maintenance supervisor for a public housing authority, I just took the lid off the tank and flushed it that way, showing my wife how as well. then upon leaving I forgot to advise the front desk about the problem. (sorry about that). Only problem we experienced

Horribly disorganized on reservations.. couldn't get their story straight. Manager hides behind employees rather than taking responsibility for errors. No apologies; just ended up being grossly overcharged. If you have any option,don't stay here. The smoke detector in our room was covered with plastic...dangerous ? Illegal ??

This hotel is tucked away off these two interstates and is very very quiet. It is very clean, updated and pleasant. The hotel was safe ( well lit and nice parking lot ) , beautifully landscaped as well. The rooms are very bright and inviting . All the amenities worked well. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of fresh fruit and ENGLISH MUFFINS ....The staff was also friendly and heklpful.

The hotel/motel was located right off of the interstate and was within short driving distance of gas, food, etc. I was traveling alone on a business trip and felt very safe,even though this is a motel with door access facing the street, not indoors. CJ at the desk was extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. My room was handicap accessible and was very clean and seemed updated and new. The lighting was not very bright in the room, but everything else was great! The food was standard hotel breakfast selections and the coffee was good. The grounds were well kept. I was satisified with this hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed two nights at this property in mid-September. It was spotlessly clean, but had a number of drawbacks, in my opinion. All rooms open directly off of the parking lot or second floor balcony. Parking is very limited (the first night there we had to park along a curb behind other cars, rather than in a marked space). At evening time, some of the guests hung out drinking or smoking on the balcony or the edge of the parking lot. The rooms had limited space and electrical outlets. There was soap and shampoo, but no lotion or conditioner. It was sufficient for our needs, but I have definitely stayed in nicer properties.

We only needed a place to sleep during our three day driving to our destination. We left very early the next day, so we were not able to try their hot breakfast.

I work in hospitality so I am extremely picky, and not easy to impress when it comes to customer service. This motel is smaller than most I've stayed in, but the lobby was beautiful. Although we checked in very late, check in was fast and easy, and the front desk agent friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and clean. Well appointed, and felt secure. I love the granite counter tops in the vanity area, the shower head was very nice too. Only negative feedback I have is regarding the unsecured WiFi, and the lack of staircases to the upper level. I did not partake in breakfast, but my husband did. He said the coffee and waffles were great, but eggs were odd and unappetizing. We travel to Kansas City often to visit family, and definitely return to this motel. Great rates, and a very clean room has earned my business.

We stayed at this motel for 1 night on our way to a convention. I was pleased with the friendliness and courteous greeting of the young man at the front desk. Usually it's business like, without much care. But this young man was different. We had an issue with our TV not working properly, something with the reception. We called the front desk; I don't think it took him 5 min. before he was at our room and fixed the problem. Impressive. The bed was a little hard for our taste, but the room was clean, the breakfast sufficient. We were going to stay at this motel again on our way back, but they were all booked out. It is located fairly close to the Interstate, but in a very quiet location. And yes, I would stay here again.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and neat. I didn't feel fearful and it was really close to the highway. It was one exit from the Mc Donalds and gas etc. Breakfast was very nice and had a nice lady to make waffles for us. BREAKFAST HAD A COUPLE LITTLE EXTRAS THAT MADE IT FEEL A LITTLE SPECIAL. My wife and I enjoyed the quietness of this Best Western. We had two good sized bags and there are no elevators so it gave me a short workout. Very friendly front desk staff. Breakfast area somewhat small but very neat and well kept. The staff in this area was also very friendly. We would stay here again when in the KC area.

Where do I begin...all cash for recent "upgrades" have gone to the office and the breakfast area. The doors DO HAVE modern electronic 'wave' locks for the card keys. The rooms themselves look like something from the 70's and I feel sure Motel 6 would be an UPGRADE from here. NOT worth $90+ night. Concerns: 1. Chain lock on door with multiple holes from replacement. 2. Metal wrap on doors is bent as if pried. 3. Sheets so worn there is no 'body' left in them. Also mismatched. 4. There are no plugs/outlets by either side of the bed. Nearest plug was desk & outlet on lamp base. Had to stretch CPAP machine cord from bed, across chair, to outlet. 5. Cobwebs on curtains. 6. Molding trim (why?) around ceiling pulling away. 7. Bed. Hard. Creaky. You can feel the springs on the side of the bed. 8. Towels: some had holes. Thin, SMALL. 9. Bathroom ceiling lowered. Ceiling tiles dirty. 10. Sink stopper didn't work and sink faucet leaked over the counter. Never seen a Best Western in this condition. But it is INDIVIDUALLY owned...not a corporate motel. We will not be stopping HERE again.

For a very reasonable price in the Kansas City area, we got a clean and comfortable room. The staff was professional. They offer a nice variety of food for breakfast, but the room is too small for the amount of people trying to use it. Our non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. Next time I would choose to stay on the second floor because the rooms open onto the sidewalk.

They were preparing to resurface the parking lot the following day, and even though we left before it was to begin, they were very gracious about working through the difficulties that might be encountered.

They gave us suggestions on where we could go that night to have fun with our family and we're very helpful with giving us information on getting discounted tickets for a water park we were going to! Check in was at 12:30 pm. We asked for a non smoking room but the room we got smelled like smoke, but it was quite and calm at night. It's kind of on the outside of the city but it is close enough to get by. It took us 10 to 15 minutes to get downtown. Room was clean and there was no noise all night.

We stayed at this hotel for a total of 4 hours! That is all we could stand to stay for our $130 room! We checked in at 11:30 at night after a local baseball game. There were people standing all around in the parking lot, smoking and drinking and it didn't feel safe. The liquor store 1 block away and barred up windows of the local gas station added to that unsafe feeling. Had I been traveling with my kids only I would have moved on even though we had a reservation. My husband went in, got the keys and we proceeded to take our 2 children, mother in law and luggage up the only staircase (no elevator) to our rooms. Immediately upon opening the door to our room the musty, smoky smell was overwhelming. We left the door open to clear it out, had to turn on the air conditioner (mind you it was over 100 degrees in KC that day) and tried to let it air out. We called down to the front and asked if it was a smoking room and were told yes,well wait maybe not.... I'm not sure. The staff wasn't even sure of the room type. We decided since both of our kids were now pretty much crashed on the beds we would just make it work. The beds were a joke! They were full sized and horrible. They squeaked every time you moved and no one got any rest. We were so uncomfortable between the beds being noisy and the AC was either freeze you out cold or miserable hot if you turned off the "jet engine" sound that we just couldn't stand it anymore and we packed our family up at 2:30 in the morning and drove on! My husband did go to the front desk prior to us leaving to talk to someone and they told us to call the manager the following day. We called the hotel the following day and explained the situation and asked for any compensation for our horrible stay. 20% was all they would do! And that was after the 4th phone call to try and get a hold of a manager of this hotel. It was a slap in our face for what we had paid for the room and for the ridiculousness of the stay. The hotel was fully aware while we there we were not happy with the situation and did nothing to improve it. We did call corporate too, to inform them that this hotel is not up to the brand standards and they should investigate as to not ruin the BW name with this one hotel! Do not waste your time, energy and expense at this hotel.

stink, stank, stunk. It had a musty, moist smell and feel to the room. Things were broken, bed was uncomfortable, few towels in the room and none provided in the pool area. Bad lighting, few outlets and when I asked for a replenishment of items (coffee, towels and TP) at 9:30am, I still did not have them at 1:30pm and had to go back and ask for them. I always stay at BW, but this one could ruin it moving forward. Don't waste your money on this particular one...YUCK!!

Netty greeted me with a smile making check in quick & simple. Room #113 . Furnishing include a comfortable bed with five small pillows. Writing desk & swivel chair. Small stands by bed. Large cabinet holds micro/fridge, three drawer chest & flat screen. A separate comfort chair with matching foot stool on wheels. Luggage rack. Bathroom is shower/tub. Hot water for shower in four seconds. A safely handle for entering tub. Bottle or shampoo. Sink counter on the small size. Coffee maker, hair dryer & tray with ice bucket & bags of coffee. The tray was moved to a night stand making room for traveling toiletries. Tub faucet very powerful, however shower head very gentle on face & body. An open closet with eight wooden hangers. Iron & board. Carpet from door to sink. Overall carpet & bathroom very clean. Breakfast 6:30-9:30. Steamers for eggs, sausage patties, biscuits, bagels, bread, small muffins, apple & orange juice & water. Bananas & apples. Waffle maker, three dry cereals & plain oat meal. Seating is five tables with two or three chairs. The breakfast area is located behind the front desk. Guest laundry is located by the outdoor pool. Access to laundry is at the pool access door. Washer/dryer are located to the back of room, $2.00 each. This facility is two story. NO elevator. If a guest has heavy luggage, call ahead for a first room floor. With my room on first floor, my vehicle was a short distance away. Plenty of parking with each space good size. Front, side & back. This facility is off I-35, Exit 8C onto NE Anitock south. The entrance to NE 43rd St. is between a Cloud 9 & a 7-11 convenience stores The 7-11 has gas pumps. The only drawback to staying here is the lack of walk to restaurants. To the north on Anitock St., is a large number of restaurants. This facility is a bit dated, however the staff is not. Each member was friendly, helpful & wore a smile. I want to thank Netty for easy check in & guest computer help, Alzta (spelling) for direction for laundry & computer. There were two other staff that I didn't get their names. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Factors being: helpful staff, quiet neighborhood, location, cost and room's cleanliness. This was # three of five during a recent trip. Best Western is my home away from home.

Despite being a broncos fan in hostile territory, staff was friendly and helpful. It was great to see a friendly face after making it through rush hour traffic in KC. The room itself was clean, and after travelling for two weeks, it was the best shower/bed I had been in since I left home. Our air conditioner was nice, but the digital one in the room my aunt was in was hard to set and control. The pool was clean, and the water felt refreshing in the hot sun.

We stayed here for two nights and the first night, we had no problems. The second day, we enjoyed the outdoor pool area, which was lovely, until a neighborhood boy came along. He was searching the parking lot for leftover cigarettes and then motioned to his friends, who appeared to be waiting in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven adjacent to the hotel. They all came and hung out right outside the gate to the pool. You could tell they were wanting to cause trouble. We were the only two in the pool area, so we couldn't easily contact the front desk inconspicuously, so we waited until we returned to our room. My husband walked down and talked to the clerk, who didn't seem surprised and said they had problems with these boys all the time, searching the parking lot, jumping the fence to the pool, etc. The clerk did walk out to the pool, but by that point, the boys had left. It made us uncomfortable and gave us a feeling of a little bit unsafe in the long run because we didn't know if these boys were going to figure out it was us that complained about them. I would suggest the management call the police on these boys every time they are there causing problems instead of just ignoring it.

This was not a very nice stop after 11 hours in the car. It was nice that it was dog friendly for my 100 pound dog but the room smelt very musty and I woke up with the worst allergies. The property was not were we thought it was, so we were a little turned around. The hotel was clean, although a little noisy. The air conditioner was unusually load, waking us up multiple times through out the night. The pool was very nice and refreshing. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. the breakfast was good but all hotel breakfasts seem to be about the same. The main advantage was the quality of the rooms and the staff.

This facility is located on the north side of Kansas City. We chose it because we were heading north the next morning and wanted to avoid traffic. It was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was quite good and the staff was helpful and friendly. I had a voucher for a free night stay, but they treated me well, which is not always the case with free vouchers. I would advise anyone in the KC area to stay at this hotel.

Nice, clean, modern, quiet inn near I-35 and smoker-friendly. All rooms open onto parking lot. Restaurants nearby. Marginal neighborhood, but not dangerous. If being able to smoke in-room is important, County Inn is a nice alternative. Book early.

Hotel is in right location for my wife and I we have family in MO and KS there are good restaurants nearby the bed was not too comfortable although better than some others we have slept on room needed a bit of maintenance but was good size, they need more chairs around the hotel to relax and enjoy the outdoors, they only have two benches

This place was in a good location for an overnight stay. Nothing super fancy, but a good value. It was clean, updated, and very well cared for. Someone had taken great care to make it an inviting property with flower pots and little seating areas. The pool was small, cold, but very clean and tidy. I gave it 5 stars because it was better than expected for the price, and we had no complaints. And, the front desk helper (I think his name was CJ?) was super attentive, polite, and I watched him handle several guests with class and ease. He really was a great example of what people in the hospitality industry should be like. We'd stay again.

It is an older hotel but well maintained. It is of the type with no elevator or interior lobby connecting the rooms. We were on the second floor so thankfully we did not have a lot of luggage to haul up. I would not recommend the second floor for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. The room was clean and mostly quiet for the night. The breakfast was pretty good - a mix of typical continental and a little hot. The price was reasonable.

This was a nice hotel that worked well for the sites we were going to. The rooms were clean and overall quiet. There were some young teams staying and they were not a problem at all. I appreciated the staff and would definitely stay here again.

Great rooms with fridge and microwave in a quiet area. The breakfast was pretty good as well typical continental, with the exception on hot eggs, sausage, and biscuits. Waffle maker as well. We didn't try the pool. Internet worked fine. Very clean. I will be making this my home away from home in KC!!!!

I didn't want to stay downtown with the much higher prices. This hotel was just off the main arteries into the city, so the short commute was not difficult. The hotel itself was worth the price. The breakfast and internet were fine. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful. The negative here is that the property looks like it has a few years under it's belt. Seems that all the services in the room were working.. and even used the iron/ironing board which I don't normally do as when I'm traveling on a vacation. Hey, I'm willing to stay in such a place as the price reflects the off-prime location. Overall a good value.

Friendly front desk and the rooms are neat and clean. Enjoyed breakfast and the high speed internet was the best I have experienced from a hotel. Loved the place and will stay there again next time I'm in town.

This is a nice Hotel, not in the middle of anything but close to everything, quiet, clean and comfortable. I was working in the industrial district close to the rail yard and this was half way between that and alot of good restaurants. Basically a 5 minute drive to eat at any restaurant of your choice.

While this is an older property with outside entrance to rooms the property is well maintained. The staff at the front desk during check in and checkout was professional and friendly and he thanked me for being a BW Rewards member. The room was clean and nice with a nice sized flat screen TV. I had a great nights sleep on a comfortable bed.

This is a very nice property with great staff. I must say that this an older property with outside entrance and no elevator. Other than that, it's great. Breakfast and very friendly clerks. A little worn but Very clean. The only issue I have is housekeeping. Upon my check out, I told desk clerk I needed another 30 minutes to get out. It was raining and I didn't want to come back in the rain, (outside entrances). Within a short time housekeeping came in. I told them I needed a couple more minutes to get all my stuff. To their defense, they did not understand English and smiled but came on in and started their thing. I enjoy my privacy so I canceled my upcoming reservations here and booked elsewhere.

The room we stayed in was clean and nice. The man at the front desk was very welcoming. We found a nearby path to run on in the morning. Shopping was close. Beds were a little noisy. Breakfast was good.

This hotel was clean, spacious, and the location was safe. The breakfast had a wide assortment and the staff was hospitable. We were heading to Rock Fest and they were able to check us in at 11:30. And the price for the room was great; well be back next year.

We were greeted by a very helpful Anna -- made it easy to check-in and check-out. She helped accommodate our camper parking situation as well -- we appreciated her service! The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast had more than enough options! We would stay again.

We were in town for the Nascar Race, and for the price that we paid for three nights was fair, however the area was okay and I would probably not stay in Kansas City, MO again, if we would not of had a navigation in our truck we would have never found the place. Just okay.

Hotel is good and in a nice location. The staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to help you. The breakfast was okay the sitting area was extremely small. The only problem we ran into was some ants in our bathroom floor.

The staff was exceptional, courteous and informative. The rooms were clean but in need of some updating. The location was terrific when travelling on I-35. We have stayed here the last 2 years when travelling north and plan to return this coming year.

Nothing special here. Just an average place to lay your head with room decor in need of updating. Hotel is north of town so if you're wanting to visit downtown or take in a game (Kaufman or Arrowhead), it's too far out. If you are just passing through, it's a decent option but there are likely better.

My buddy's and I stayed here while on a motorcycle trip across 4 states. It was clean good location great parking for the bikes and the people here were great. Helped us with anything we needed. I will be staying here whenever I am in the area from this point on.

We will difinitely visit this hotel again if ever in N Kansas City. The room was clean The staff was friendly, The breakfast was good. The locations is easy to get to and in a nice neighborhood. There are several choices for restaurants close by all within 10 minutes. Our favorite restaurant was the Pizza Ranch Buffet within just about 15 minutes from the hotel.

This hotel has recently been refurbished with a total overhaul. It is very nice, clean and the decor was fabulous. Essentially, it is like staying at a brand new hotel. The bed was comfortable. There is no elevator so ask for a first floor room. The personnel was all very congenial and helpful. There is breakfast. The price was inexpensive. I would stay at this hotel again!

Hotel Staff were awesome. Rooms were clean, with the exception that one of them had a pet odor. Hotel is somewhat dated and did not realize at time of booking that it was an outside entrance. If you are on the main level, you hear every footstep, noise from above. Area is so-so.

My wife and I always stay in Kansas City on our way to visit our daughter and her family in Waterloo, Ia.. This hotel is perfect for us because it is on two blocks of I-35 which is our route to Iowa. The staff, the room, and all aspects of this hotel are top notch. I would recommend this hotel to any one looking for a good place to stay in Kansas City.

I would say that this was an okay hotel. Friendly staff. Seemed clean enough. Just did not feel safe. Not a place we would probably stay again. The hotel was just convenient to get into and out of on our trip through Kansas City.

Although hotel appeared to be in a somewhat rundown neighborhood, it offered friendly desk clerks, very clean rooms, and comfortable beds at a very reasonable price. It does have doors open to the outside, but also deadbolts and chain locks. During a 3-night stay, we never saw anyone loitering in the area, no noise, and never felt unsafe. Parking and breakfast were adequate, with the usual breakfast offerings including a wafflemaker. There is a convenience store by the hotel. It provided a quick entrance to the interstate and about a 10 minute drive to the Spring Center. We would stay there again.

The owner/manager Kris was extremely rude when I had a situation come up. I booked the hotel through hotels.com then called the hotel directly to cancel 2 days prior to our arrival date. CJ at the front desk dropped the ball and did not cancel so I was charged for a full 1 night stay. I called and explained the situation to Kris the owner/manager who was rude and told me I had to cancel through hotels.com and I was not being responsible by getting a cancellation number when I called the hotel directly. I tried to explain that one was never offered. Kris refused to refund my money. I will never again book through hotels.com which no where does it state that you have to call them directly to cancel. In all my years of traveling for work or pleasure have I never been able to call any hotel directly to cancel a reservation. I will never stay at this hotel....EVER!!!!

We spent one night here while on a long road trip. Inexpensive price, great complimentary breakfast. Friendly staff. Rooms are clean and pretty basic. Old style heating/AC room unit that is noisy-fan runs all the time. We would stay here again if it is just a one-night stay.

We just needed a warm place to sleep for a few hours on our way passing through. We arrived really late and left really early. Breakfast was nice, but gravy wasn't warm yet at 6:30 a.m. Parking lot was fairly small and the location wasn't the greatest.

I normally don't stay at best Western. But the price was so much better I paid total $89. They have breakfast in the morning. The parking be better. The first room we checked into the bed was dirty and lady at the front desk came down to look at it and she immediately moved us and apologized. Breakfast was cold.

stayed here and it was great, the staff was wonderful especially Ana she really made us feel welcomed she explained how to get to where we were going printed us off directions she even printed us off coupons for our food ana really was a delight we have never been treated so well at any other hotel we stayed in. the rooms were big and clean the breakfast was outstanding easy checkin because ana had all the paper work and room keys ready before we got there hotel was very nice

We were visiting our grandchildren and worried that the predicted weather would keep us from being able to leave our motel. However, the sidewalks were always salted and the parking lot cleared. As usual, the bed was extra comfy, the food was good, the room was clean and warm. We had called ahead to say we were delayed by the ice storm. They assured us it was no problem and even had the heat going in our room when we arrived. Thanks for another great trip to KC and a peaceful stay at Best Western.

the bed was comfy, and the room was extremely nice. I liked that we were seconds away from the interstate so that it made our traveling to the NFL game a lot quicker and easier. The entire hotel was very clean, and for the price I got it for I will not complain.

We had to make a fast trip to a funeral service in Iowa and needed to stay somewhere the night before the service. This was a really handy location and easy to find late at night when we arrived around midnight. The desk attendant was very kind. It was quiet--was afraid we might hear traffic noise all night. The exterior of the building was not impressive but the room was quite nice. Breakfast was good.We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Never having stayed at this Best Western, I was a bit apprehensive. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was neat and clean, the dining area for the complimentary breakfast was also very appealing. The 2 staff members I encountered were pleasant and efficient. The location, just a few feet off I35, made navigating my trip very easy.

This stay was for an anniversary getaway. Very pleasant experience with this location. CJ and Akta were very pleasant and polite at check in and check out, helpful in printing out driving directions to places we asked about. Room was clean. No issues with noise from other guests. Breakfast good.

Great breakfast was offered, I didn't really expect much because it was a smaller property but was thoroughly surprised. I had blueberries and granola in my yogurt and a banana which energized me for the rest of the day. They also had eggs, biscuits and gravy which everybody was happy about. The rooms were clean and I am a picky person AND the staff was very helpful!

My teenage son was joining his fencing team attending a national competition. I called Nov.14 (about 3 PM) to confirm that he was booked at this hotel and the woman answering the phone wasn't sure as the team rooms were booked under the coach's name. She took the coach's phone number and promised to call back to confirm. She called me back later in the evening to confirm that my son's name was recorded and that he was expected the next day as planned. It was clear that she made serious efforts and went through some difficulties to be able to give me the reassurance I needed. I was very impressed by the trouble she took that, in my experience, most places would not have done. I'm sorry that I didn't get her name so that she could get the recognition that she deserves.

This is a fatastic hotel for the money. I've stayed here many times and have enjoyed every stay. The rooms are newly remodeled and the Patel's really spent the money to make them nice. A nice breakfast and SUPER fast internet. Fridge and Microwave, in room coffee (and plenty of it). Clean shower/ tub with new fixtures and head. You are five minutes from casinos, a Target, Waffle House, good Chinese, a Wing Stop, and ten minutes from downtown. I travel a lot and absolutely love this place.

We were charged $104 for this room which was small and dark. The light bulbs were very low wattage and some didn't work. We were put on the second floor which was difficult because we had 2 dogs that needed to go out at night., Also, we had to leave our building to go to the breakfast area. The breakfast room was very small and the hotel was jammed so it was difficult to move around in and find seating.

Hello Maxwell, thank you for your response but I believe you may have us confused with another property during your trip possibly. I noticed you did indeed stay on the bottom floor when I searched by your lastname and the rate you paid was 80.99 + tax which came to 95 approximately. Also, our breakfast lobby is indoors right next to the lobby front desk. The breakfast lobby is not apart of another building, our motel is smaller property and all connected as one building. If you like the Chamiere neighborhood in North Kansas City (as I do), I think you'll find this hotel quiet and comfortable. No restos within walking distance that I could find. There is a Quick Trip around the corner, however.

"No heat, forget wake up calls"

Stayed here for business. First night people in next room loud. Had asked for 1:30am wake up call since had to be at work at 3:30am....NO CALL. Glad had cell phone alarm set. Second night, had asked for 2:00an wake up call, nothing!! Room was chilly so turned heat on while showered, cane out, colder than when went in for shower. Third night,got back to room at 10:30pm after work, was cold,damp due to rain, turned heat on, just cold air. Called front next, let phone ring and ring for 3 minutes, no answer. When I checked out St 6:00 am on fourth day, told desk clerk about issues, calls and how disappointed I was, he said, SORRY. Got home, have sore throat, cough and stuffy nose, feel from room NOT having heat. WON'T STAY HERE AGAIN. ... I was in room 221.DOESN'T HOLD UP TO BW EXPECTATIONS....more like a Motel 6

"Quiet Hideout"

Great hotel managed by a excellent manager and staff. Quiet out of the way location makes for a quiet stay but close enough to major highways. Stayed for Nascar and Royals game with easy access to both. Great KC Bar B Q dining close by. Newly renovated rooms made it like sleeping on a cloud. Will be back here next time in KC.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and they were great. My family wanted to see the Royals and stay at a quality hotel and this fit all of our needs at a super price. When we come down to see another game we will definitely stay at Best Western.

I am somewhat a regular to this hotel and the staff is always very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The lobby is welcoming and the breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are clean but sometimes, depending on room the bed isn't the best. I think they are in process of renovating... Great place to stay, right off highway.

As others have said not in the best neighborhood - picture in AA is deceptive. When I arrived (after making reservation on road) construction material,etc filled many of the few parking spots.Sign for the hotel proclaimed new beds, etc. Not so, my bed was completely worn out. Consider alternatives.

Super friendly staff, rooms look much better on the inside than the hotel looks from the outside. Bed is super comfortable, good water pressure, decent warm breakfast for the price. My only complaint is the walls are super thin so I would often get woken up early in the morning from people talking.

Very easy to find just off of I-35. Great accommodations! Will stay whenever I'm in the area. Close to downtown North Kansas City and good food! Priced right and the Best Western beds give the comfort of a downtown 4 star hotel! And remodeling for the future.

Clean. Easy check-in. Super small beds. Easy access to I 35. Small bathroom Fair breakfast. Sirens all night. Good price for medium motel. Needs lot of remodeling done. The rooms need to be larger. 2 double bed but they are about the size of a twin bed
